Today, the White House will host the official arrival ceremony for the Pope. 12,000 people are expected to attend. The Chargers linebacker Stephen Cooper has been suspended for the first four games of the season for a banned stimulant. Welcome to the show. Open phone lines at 570-1053. Topics are up to you. Wherever you want to go, whatever you want to do, it's open for them. So 570-1053, and our text number is 35253. Seven people on the Mikey Show, and let's go around the room, introduce. I'll say this all real quick, and then we'll go through one at a time. It's me, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston, Rob, and Zeth. And I like to say it real quick, that way you know who you're about to hear. And we'll kind of go around the horn, as they say.
And we'll kind of figure it all out. My name is Mikey. I'm 37. I host the Mikey Show. And I have an adversity to heat. No. And when I was little, I grew up in Yuma, Arizona. Oh, that's like the hottest place on earth. It is hot there. Maybe that's where you got it. Yeah, it could be. Where you caught it. That's right. It's hot. When I lived in Gilroy, the summers were hot there. Like I remember summertime, typical summertime over a period of days of B. 102 degrees, 103 degrees. It's in the valley. For sure, man. It got warm. And what I remember about it is that Eddie lived down the street and had air conditioning. Oh, really? And a pool. Lucky. Yeah, I'll say. That was, yeah. And we did not have that pool or the air conditioning. Dad felt that was too much of an expense. And, you know, unnecessary, he thought. Well, you guys had ceiling fans. Yeah.
Yeah, and those are good for pushing around the hot air. Sure thing. See, because the thought there is why have an oven if you can have a convection oven? The food cooks a lot faster when it's moved around quicker. Yeah. And more evenly. So we were actually roasted much more evenly than some people that didn't have the ceiling fans. You know, they were kind of cooked unevenly. And one part of the thigh would not be as well done. But I digress. I feel you. We didn't have AC either, because same thing, too much of an expense. But my parents did get themselves a nice window unit for their bedroom. And so even all the way up until me and my brother, like our teenagers, like 16, 17 years old, if there was like a heat wave, we would sleep on the floor in my parents' room. Oh, wow. Yeah. Oh, man. Weird. I'm telling you. Weird. Summertime, especially. Did you guys have upstairs? Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Forget it. Yeah, yeah.
It's hotter up there. That's gross. The heat rises. Mm-hmm. So it's hotter up there. Yeah, me and Mikey used to, we had a living room where, like, you know, we could control the air in there. Yeah. We would crank it to, like, the lowest possible number and just, like, watch movies all day and just freeze. To this day. It was great. That was one of the most comfortable rooms I've ever been in in my life. Yeah. It was so comfortable. And they had a tree. outside in the front yard that was right by that room. So there was shade over the window. And so it would stay nice and cool and darker in there. And that room was great, man. It really was. As you can see, I've known Eddie for a while. Eddie's 35. And when we first met, he was 12 and I was 15. And he offered me chewing tobacco one day. Opposite. And I was like... How dare you. How dare you? I said to the guy, I'm just a child. You're the worst. No, it was the opposite. And what are you going to do? I guess live and learn, right? Eddie told me something right before we went on the air. I said, please tell us that on the air. And it scared me. I think maybe Boston Rob should leave the room. Yeah, probably a good idea. Well.
I got a phone call yesterday. Rob, this is not indicative of all. Rob, this is rare. Dude, this doesn't happen. This doesn't happen very often. Like, it's so rare. I got a phone call yesterday, and it was an automated voice call from my bank telling me that I may be a victim of identity theft. No way. Rob. Hold on. No way. For ages I've been preaching about this. What? And that they're sending me a new debit card. No way. And that I need to, you know, look into it or call this number or whatever. And I'm like, holy cow. You know, and I stay pretty on top of my finances and I haven't seen any weird things. You know, I look online almost every day on my statement and I haven't seen anything weird. So I'm like, huh, that's interesting. So I call and I have to go through all the, you know,
automated process till I finally get a person on the line. And I'm like, what's going on? And they're like, oh, yeah, you may have been, you know, identity might have been stolen. And I'm like, what are you talking about? I go, there's been no weird purchases on my card or anything. And they're like, okay, well, let me look. And they're looking and they go, oh, well, what happens sometimes is if a place where you use your card. If they have like shenanigans or if like they've had something been broken into and your records are in there, then that sends an alert to us and we send out an immediate new card. And that's what the deal is. So like nothing has happened to my identity. Well, that's great. They scared the hell out of me. But they're watching your back. Better safe than sorry. Yeah, it was actually really good. You know? Well, it turned out to be a great thing. Thank goodness for being so involved with the bank. And if I wasn't using online banking, Mike, I would never would have known. Wow. Wow. That would have been a shame. You could have potentially been a victim. You could have cut right to the chase, though, and not dealt with all that automated stuff. If you'd known Nutella like I do, I would have went in, saw Anthony, said, hey, what's wrong with me? But I was home. I would have had to drive to the bank. My son's Godfather. Son of Anthony.
Skye is our news girl. She is 30 years old. Are the in-laws safely here? Yes, they arrived yesterday. So it's really, really neat. You know, took a little adjustment with the dog and the cats. And yeah, there's almost a little bit of a rumble, but we... With the dogs and the cats, they have a dog? They brought their dog. What kind? A Jack Russell. Oh, well, at least they're not wiry. Yeah. So, yeah. Did you put the cats outside? No, we did not. We put a baby gate on the stairs. A baby gate? So the cats get upstairs and the doggy gets downstairs. And the cats won't jump over the gate saying, like, this is our house. Why would we stay back here? Well, not when there's a dog on the other side staring at them. Okay. And the dog can't jump it, right? No. Got it. I know. So that's all figured out. And then we took them out to a nice dinner last night at Stone Brewery. I'm really starting to dig that place. Been there a couple times. Really cool. So, yeah. Never been there. What's the food like?
You would like the food because it's, like, normal food, like steak and pork and chicken, but then they, like, do it up all, like, fancy with special spices. You would have had it if Sky would have invited us to Seth's birthday dinner. Oh, really? That was that one. That's where they held it. That's where they held it. Remember, we didn't get invited. It was an intimate thing. It's unfortunate. Maybe we'll try it someday, Mike. We've all forgot all about that. I'm totally over it. I always think of you, Mike, because on their menu, one of their appetizers is like this. stinky cheese platter. Oh, so he would have really enjoyed it. Oh, yeah. It's like right up his alley. It sounds like something I would have loved. Yeah. Oh, there it is. That was nice. Let's see. Shawnee is our sound effects guy. That's right. He is 38 years old. He's married to his lovely wife, Dina. He was married in 2003.
And he was married in a Moroccan-style ceremony. Oh, normal. So he's Moroccan? No, he's not Moroccan. What? I don't understand. What was the theme wedding, Eddie? The theme was Morocco? Well, it was either that or disco, and they decided on Moroccan. Could have gone for the pirate motif. I heard some other themes from the minister, but I don't know that that's really... I don't remember. We don't have to get into all that. What are you talking about? It's not important. I was just talking about... That's okay. That's all right. When the minister was trying to... Yeah, it's okay. Well, he was trying to show the kind of love that you have for a person. It goes on forever, love. It goes on forever. I thought that was a really good sentiment. I enjoyed having that as... Now, I remember the monkey. I don't remember whether it was a monkey. But then, yeah, the minister, he was in a very... serious way. He was drawing the comparison between the Holocaust and the love that people had when they were lost there. At a wedding? Holocaust.
Listen, you know, some may say that is a little jarring to hear while sitting on your pillow. No, I did have a couple of cocktails, but I specifically remember something about walking hand in hand. Was it to the shower? That's what he said. To the oven. Oh, to the oven. No. Come on, that's crazy. This is a true story. And, you know. Wasn't a dry eye in the house. I do. I think that was because of the curry, Mike. Was it curry or was it raisins and rice? I don't remember. It was delicious. I know I used my hands. Was it the lack of utensils? You don't need utensils when you're having finger food. See if I invite you to my next one. I had a good time. It was fun. I danced with the belly dancer. That is correct. Which one, the male or female? The female. Awesome. Ashley, did I tell you we got our money back on those? What? No. Yeah. Why? I got my money back. Because it wasn't supposed to be a man and a woman. This guy. I was really offended by that. Calm down. What? It was, we were supposed to get, first of all, we were supposed to get like four belly dancers because we had so many people there. And what we ended up getting was this man and woman team. Oh, no. That was fantastic.
It was a little homoerotic. Oh, Sean. I didn't want that. Yeah, a man and a woman dancing together is very homoerotic. That's the first thing I think of. So I got my money back. Okay. How about the monkey? Why would I get my money back on that mic? He did a great job. The monkey did a great job. He's a professional. Is he the ringer? I don't get that. What was the deal? He was a greeter. He was a greeter. Oh, my bad. He wore a little pez hat or what's it called? Fez? Little Fez. He had a little Fez. He's cute. He was a Pez dispenser. Oh. You know what? You can all kiss my ass. Why would he even say that? With your purple cake. Blue. It was blue. It was Latosh Mahal. What? Latosh Mahal was blue. It had a dome on it. Worst cake ever. Why do you say that? He didn't like his own wedding. I had a great time. We had a great time. I don't know why you're acting like that. Weird.
Ashley is our assistant producer, and she is 24 years old. Oh, my gosh. Almost 25. That's right. Whoa. Almost 25. She's got blonde hair. She's a very sweet girl. What is happening in your life? Give me something. I want something to grab onto. I don't even know. What is... Let me see. Let's see. I've got my dog, and she's good. How is your... My boyfriend and... Fiance, Mark. Love of my life. He's great. Yeah. He's great. Yeah. Yeah. That doesn't sound good. There was something there. There was something there. What the heck? Something almost came out. Well, I mean, because I don't want to, like, bring it up because it's not a big deal, but it was, like, a weird thing that I, like, maybe would want to share with you guys because I tell you everything. What happened? So should I share it? Yes, you should, but... I want you to know before you share it that there's going to be opinions from your friends. You know this, right? You're about to give. That's why I don't want to share it. Okay. Because I don't want opinions that will hurt my feelings about my strong feelings that I have. Now, the only way they can hurt your feelings is if they're mean. But what about if your friends are just being honest about their thoughts? But I don't want you to say anything bad about him.
I don't think anybody... I love that guy. Yeah, yeah. He's the best. I think we can make that agreement that we wouldn't say anything bad about him. Okay. Well, it was just basically what happened. You hit me, Mike. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. We're like, well, we promised. Sounds like a sweetheart. I mean, did you deserve it? No. Well, last night, we always watch American Idol together, and we were watching it. And I'm really not a fan of David Cook. Like, I really think that he's like, what's up? He's very, like, daughtry. Like, check me out. Too cool for school. I am the best. I'm so sexy when I look into the camera. And it just really bugs me. So I made a comment last night. Like, I was like, gosh, like, I would, I don't care, you know, how sexy and cool David Cook thinks he is. I would never sleep with him. And then there was, like, a really awkward pause. And then I was like, well, I mean, if I was single, you know what I'm saying? Honey? Honey? And he just, like, looked at me. Yeah, I don't think I have a problem with your boyfriend. Yeah, he seems like he's great, actually. And he just looked at me like, why did you just go there? You mean like a normal human being would probably be. Okay, good. Because I thought that maybe you guys would think he was overreacting. Oh, no. Oh, no. No, no, no. No, he was reacting normally. He's a good person. Now, there was something there in the story that was not normal. Oh.
If anything, I would say it was an underreaction. Yes. If that's possible. Let me ask a question. Did he break up with you? Oh, then that's not normal. Yeah. Whatever do you mean, Mike? Well. Honestly, I think that may be an inappropriate thing to say to your loved one. Most partners, spouses, whatever, don't enjoy thinking of their loved one having sexual relations with another. That's so funny, Sky. That's exactly what he said to me. That's odd. Maybe not necessary. Maybe an apology. Yeah. I don't know that Ashley follows that philosophy, you guys. Maybe we need to respect her wishes, thoughts. Well, you know, I just wasn't, I mean, I wasn't even thinking, which we all know happens. That is really rare. It happens. It happens. To all of us. Did you apologize? I did. Well, because I immediately, because we have really good communication. So I immediately knew that his feelings were hurt. Right. So I go.
I go, honey, did that bother you? Like, are you okay? I go, do you want to talk about anything? And he was like, it really took him a while to get it out because he's so laid back and cool. But he was like, well, I really kind of wish he hadn't said that. Like, it makes me envision things that I don't want to envision. It makes me think that you're thinking about being single. Like, I just don't like it. And this is where I really get upset. No, no. No, and I said, you're totally right. Like, I'm just not used to being in a healthy... normal relationship where there's mutual strong awesome feelings and that stuff isn't appropriate i think that this is a deal remember we talked one time we talked one time about how you kind of get afraid yes you kind of get afraid because you know what i mean yeah like you're starting to really fall in love and you get afraid and you don't want somebody to hurt you yeah well those kinds of things can put an end to that I know. You know what I mean? Because it could be very well that he would be like, what is, you know, so you got to avoid those. And it's like one of those things where I'm like, I'm literally like learning as I walk, like in my steps, like, oh, okay, don't do that. Okay, that's not cool. That's good. And I'm cruising. That's good. You're getting older and maturing and all that stuff. Trying to figure it out. Boston Rob is from the state of Massachusetts. That is true. He hails from the city of Boston.
And like a lot of young men from that town, has a great affinity for his baseball team. So he really does like football and baseball. Even though that baseball team is just kind of... Kind of what? On a four-game winning streak, Manny hits a home run to win it last night. Jason Veritek hits one to win it. Two nights ago, Manny hit one. Oh, dude, real bad right now. But you know what? Everybody else's bats is stepping up to the plate, so it's all good. I got nothing to worry about. Two-game series against the Yankees tonight, tomorrow night. Wow. That's right. It's Boston Rob. We're in the top of the ALEs. I didn't even say anything. I thought you were going to say Captain Identity Theft. Boston Rob has a tattoo on his neck, and it says Boston. Get out. Can't ever steal that identity. That's right. That's right. He's sleeved with tattoos and has always affectionately been known as the dirtbag. He's proud of it. That's right. He really is. And believe it or not, he's wearing a Boston Red Sox baseball cap. No. Roosevelt Zethian Oates is 23 years old. Rosie. Yeah, he's a good kid. He's very tall. And for the most part, looks pretty sleepy.
Most of the time. That's true. I said to my wife last week, I said, honey, do you think that Zeth does a thing where he thinks that it's cool to look like you're on heroin? And she says, I think that's a good... She goes, you know, I... Yes. I said, because he's not on heroin. He's not. He's sober. But... I think that he has a style that he's adopted called heroin chic. Blame the magazines, Mike. You know what I mean? It's the input from all the MTV and all that stuff. So he does that whole thing about, I'm really strung out right now. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. 570-1053 is our phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show, and you can talk about whatever you want. You can talk about TV. You can ask questions. You can anything you want to talk about.
wholly and completely up to you. So give us a call. Paris Hilton had to apologize to her friend Kim Kardashian for saying to a Las Vegas radio station. She's getting interviewed by a Las Vegas radio station. And she's friends with Kim Kardashian, but said that her butt looks gross. Holy cow. You've got to be kidding me. What an idiot. I don't know, Skye. What's the deal? Holy cow. So she was doing a radio interview with the Las Vegas radio station, like Mike said. This is her friend? Yeah. A friend since they were children, by the way. And was asked, hey, would you want Kim Kardashian's butt? Would you want to trade butts with her? Because Kim Kardashian is known for having like this amazing. Right. Luscious. Right. Rump. Okie doke. I wouldn't have said that. I thought that's what you were going for. Well said. So like Mikey said, Paris applied, no, I wouldn't want Kim's butt because it's gross. Wow. Betty, mine is gross too, but if anybody interviews you ever. I won't say it. You don't have to say it. I would never. I would never. That's hurtful. Yeah. So then it started making the rounds and Paris. Imagine that. Yeah, that's weird when you talk trash about one of your childhood friends on the radio.
Yeah, that's odd that people hear that. Gets out there? Yeah, that's weird. I can't imagine that a disc jockey would send that to TMZ or anything. Yeah, that's odd. I just wouldn't imagine. So, Paris says that she was just joking around, but she did feel really bad afterwards, so she called Kim and apologized. Apologize. Kim was asked about it, and Kim said, yes, she did call me and apologized. We've been friends since we were kids, and I'm really glad she went out of her way to make the effort to say that she was sorry. I still hate it. Go shucks. That's called the high road. Yep. But I secretly now hate her. That's right. Yeah. Secretly? P1 Yankee fan. Hey, good morning, guys. Hey, man, you got a question for Eddie? For the great Oracle. I was just wondering how he thought the Chargers were going to do, you know, being that we got a bye so late in the year. Let's talk about it. Eddie, what do you think of the bye late in the year? The bye is fine. The bye is because the Chargers are going to be playing in London. and be playing New Orleans in London on October 26th, I believe. And then the next week they're giving them a bye to recover, which I think is fine. If you're going to send us to London, at least give us a bye to recover. But the Chargers schedule, wow. It is laid out really perfectly, I think. I'm a little nervous. They got a lot of road games in the beginning of the season.
But they're, you know, somewhat easy opponents like Oakland and Miami and stuff like that. We got New England here, which is great. I mean, I really think they can win 12, 13 games pretty easily. New England. Super Bowl champions? No, no, no. They actually lost to the Super Bowl, Mike. One in the playoffs, though. But they lost in the Super Bowl. And they chose. Remember, they were on this roll, and they were going to make history. Not for that Super Bowl. It's the way they'd be remembered. They absolutely did it. Really? When you beat us when we had none of our players? Oh, it was crazy. And we still almost won. But you know what? We digress. What was the topic? Oh, yeah. The bye week. Sounds good. Do we really want to talk about that? What did he say? Stephen Cooper has suspended for the first four games of the season because he used a banned substance. Which I'm pretty furious about. I mean, I don't understand in this day and age how you could still do that. Maybe it was a tainted supplement. No, it wasn't. Maybe it was an accident. Maybe he fell in a puddle or something. What was it? He took a substance that he said was just recently added to the list.
and he didn't know it was added to the list and was popped for it. Wow, you'd think he'd be on top of that list. Thank you for bringing the room down. So that's really disappointing. I thought Stephen Cooper had a great season last year. It would have been nice to have him for the first four games of the year, but now we won't. But thank God we signed, what's-his-face from the 49ers, Derek Smith. Oh, yeah, yeah, that's cool. P1 Rude Dog. Hey, how's it going, Mike? Good, man, what's up? Hey, you know, I just wanted to tell Skye that she's got to watch out for that Jack Russell. They are a very intelligent dog. And before you know it, Skye, they'll be doing algebra all over your kitchen. And they'll do what? I'm sorry? You were about to say, and they will? They will just get into everything. They will get on counters. They will figure a way out. All I'm saying is be careful. That dog might get through your baby gate. Oh, okay. Yeah. We'll see. Luckily, it's an older dog, so she has kind of some of the puppy out of her already. But, yeah, she was all over that place yesterday, you know, running laps in the back and then running in and then all over the couches and then down and then up to the baby gate and back and down. Eddie, you like those dogs, right? They're great dogs. They are cute. They look like sweet-hearted dogs, man. Yeah, yeah. They are the best dogs. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, dude. I've had one for 10 years. Oh, you've had one for 10? One more thing. Yeah, yeah. I'm sorry? Yeah, go ahead.
No, I just want to say one more thing. What do you guys think about that December 4th, Thursday night, Charger Raider game? December 4th, Thursday night, Charger Raider game. It's one of the NFL Network games. You know how they have them on Thursday nights. Yeah, Chargers, Raiders, here in San Diego. Fatten down the hatches. They're not like that anymore. They're not? How come? The Raiders are good? No, because the Raiders are born again. Yeah. The Chargers are successful, so the Raiders don't get tickets anymore. Raider fans don't get tickets anymore. So it's mostly Charger fans. And it's hard to be a tough guy when you're a Raider fan these days, being that you've won like three games in the past three seasons. You know, I had an idea that I was going to send in an email form. to the Charger organization and say, I think I have this Charger Raider fights thing figured out. You charge $100 for a glass of beer. Nice. And there'll probably be no more fights ever again. And then you make $100. There would have to be a corking fee for the parking lot. That's right. All right, we got a big, big, big show for you today.
What up? First of all, our text number. I like it, Rob. Nice. Yeah. Rob is the guy that puts in these music beds for us. I like it. Our text number, 35253. Our phone number, 5701053. Got to tell you about that P1 sticker strike coming up on May 10th at Qualcomm and what's involved in that. Let me ask you this. We got this email I want to read to you. How willing are you to rat on your neighbor's kid? Oh. I know it, man. A very intriguing secret crush today. We haven't done it for a while. This is... Wait till you hear this. Dave Attell in the Stand Up Spotlight. Stand Up Spotlight. 053. Were you guys upset when Steve Irwin died? Were you? Yeah. Three of you were. One guy wasn't. Because you know what? He didn't die. He was murdered. Okay? Yes.
The crocodiles put a hit out on him using the stingray, or as I call it, the Puerto Rican of the sea. Yeah. Hear me? Hear me. With its switchblade-like tail and deliciously big brown eyes, where were the dolphins that day? Our friends in the oceans, the dolphins, laughing, smiling, teaching retards how to swim. Good morning, family. This is The Mikey Show. Up to 2,000 vehicles from San Diego's best dealers are priced below Kelley Blue Book. Cricket is the greatest. If you are with a wireless company and it's not called Cricket,
please do yourself a favor. Change that today. I'm telling you, man, Cricket is the wireless company that does not get you locked into all those terrible contracts. Ugh, the worst. Nobody likes being in those things, man. So, I mean, I can actually change things about my plan and not have to sign a new 10-year contract with my wireless company? You got it. That's awesome. Sky, what do you love about Cricket? Well, I love the no contract because when we first started talking about cricket and doing cricket and getting our cricket phones, I was still locked into a contract for like a full year from my previous provider. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. We're starting to pick up a few more brake lights in our freeways here this morning. Also getting word of a car that was pulling a trailer. That trailer overturned on them. They're northbound 15 here, just past Paula Road at the 76 here as you head up into Fallbrook. And that's right in Middle Lane, so be careful if you head in that direction. We've also got now southbound center of the 15, an accident involving a motorcycle here in the center divide. Looks like ambulance crews are responding to that one as you head farther south. On that 15th to West Candido, your normal commute side here, picking up a few breakouts here as well off the 78th of your Rancho Parkway. Your coaster ride looking fairly decent here, south on top of the 5, a brief delay down towards Manchester. Westbound 52 also seeing a bit of a tight, slow ride up the summit here, top of the summit as you head in towards Tierra Santa. 894 looking good into the city, and the 5 and 805 northbound are fairly decent coming out of the South Bay up northbound as well. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. I mean, who wouldn't want to be treated like a celebrity? Who wouldn't want to get a little respect? I mean, for the first time ever, a couple weekends ago...
rob and zeth they were treated with respect for like the first times in their life and it was by the people at hard rock that's true people at hard rock treated them like uh like royalty like rock royalty and they were kind of uh blown away by it and and we all were really i mean it was pretty awesome at my uh my birthday party there and they said all right eddie we're gonna we're gonna show you what it's like to be an owner of one of the suites here at hard rock and holy moly it is It's like nothing you can even imagine. You can invest in real estate anywhere. You can buy a house and flip it in a couple of years. I mean, this is the time to do it while the market's down. Or you can buy something like a suite at the Hard Rock and really invest in it and get your money back quickly because they'll rent it out for you and take care of it. But that, to me... Such a side note to me. I don't even, whatever. Oh, see, to me, that's an investment. I know, and that's how you are. But for me, I want to be treated like a rock star and like a celebrity and like get all these stuff. And you can get it. Anybody can get it. I mean, if you invest in the Hard Rock downtown San Diego, which is the hottest place going on right now in San Diego, it's like a little jewel in San Diego, you can do it.
All you got to do is look into it. It's the Hard Rock Downtown San Diego. Just go online and Google that and check it out for yourself. It is awesome. Check it out. Hard Rock Downtown San Diego. Now back to Mikey. My wife's name is Rebecca. I'm married up. Thank you very much. Eddie. I know I'm particular. Sky. I'd be injected with herpes. Sean. The doctor in the face. I'll support him for my whole life. I'll bleed for him. I don't care. I love my team. And Ashley. Not many things annoy me at all. The Mikey Show's on. Rock, rock, rock. 105.3. Eddie just brought up a really good question. He said, I thought Rob had never heard this song before. And I said, how's that? And he said, remember we were trying to do a parody to this song, and he was like, I never heard this boy quite speedily. In fact, I remember exactly what it was. It was when O.J. went and tried to break into the thing and steal his...
paraphernalia back, and this was the song we were going to do a parody song to, and Rob was like, James, who? What? I never heard this song. Sometimes, if Rob's not feeling it that way, he'll be like, I never heard a thriller. What is Michael who? I hadn't. What is Michael Laxon? I've never heard of that before. Found it, downloaded it. I wrote it all out. You guys are supposed to cut the OJ voices and it never happened. You don't remember that? No, that part I don't remember. Welcome back. It's 641. Well, this is sad. Cameron Diaz's dad died suddenly yesterday morning after being diagnosed with pneumonia. Randy Wolf threw seven shutout innings as the Padres beat the Rockies 6-0 last night. Stephen Colbert. Now. If you don't know who Stephen Colbert is, we were talking about him yesterday. Stephen Colbert is on Comedy Central. And he's really funny. He plays a role of a, you know, political columnist. A political, what, pundit? Sure. And that has his own talk show, The Stephen Colbert Show. And he's very conservative Republican. And so he does this thing where, you know, his views are very, you know.
Crazy conservative Republican. And he's really funny. And he has real guests on the show. Like real politicians. So he had Michelle Obama on. Cut 20. Now let's get right to the heart of the matter. Big story this week. Everybody knows you and your husband are elitists. Tell me about your elite upbringing on the south side of Chicago. How many silver spoons in your mouth? We had four spoons. Oh, but there were spoons. There were spoons. Okay, so that tag still sticks. And then my father got a raise at the plant and we had five spoons. Gosh. That's pretty funny. Nice. He gives her a little bit of a compliment here. Barack Obama's wife. Cut 21. Everybody wants to know, they speculate on what kind of first lady a candidate's wife might be. And if you would... forgive me in saying so, I think you'd be Jackie L. Okay? Because I hope I'm not out of place in saying this. You're a very good-looking lady. Well, thank you, Stephen. Do you think your husband will be okay with me having said that? You know, he might be a little ruffled, but... Ruffled enough to come on my show and try to punch me? Because that would still be a booking, and I would win. That's funny. Well, maybe if you sang to me, it would make him a little jealous. L.
for the way you love me. He has a better voice? I'm sorry. All right. I blew it out last night singing with John Legend. Now... That's good. I gotta start watching that. Cut 22. If he becomes the next president of the United States, eight years from now, will you be the president after that? That's funny. That is funny. I think that... One Obama in the White House will be enough. But for those eight years that Barack is going to be in the Oval Office, he's going to change the face of this country. I know that. Because he has a passion. Change, change, change, change. Regular folks get a fair shake. That's right. What does that mean? Change things. Okay. Redesign the White House. All right. He says he's going to put a basketball court in it. Sick. That would be awesome. That's not true. He says he's going to put a half court in it. That's not as cool. But if you don't believe me, check it out from HBO's Real Sports with Brian Gumbel, cut 25. Do you know there's an outdoor hoop on the side of the White House? I wasn't aware of that. I was thinking I was going to have to tear down the bowling alley to build a basketball court. I'm still thinking.
If I get there, we may need at least a little indoor half-court. Would that be a priority, putting an indoor hoop in it? Well, I mean, relative to getting our troops out of Iraq, no. Okay, I understand. Relative to potential remodeling inside the White House. Sure. Smoker's gone. Oh, no. Oh, no. Okay. So he really does. He says he's going to put a half-court in, and some people will vote for him for that reason. That's the truth. Some people like certain stuff they hear. They go, you know what? I like basketball. He'll put a half court in. I'll vote for him. He gets it. That's right. He gets it. I like basketball. He likes basketball. We're similar. That's the way people vote sometimes. What else can I tell you? Last night, Mariah Carey was on the TV show American Idol. Now, if you don't think that show's big, it's as big a star as it gets, man. She was on there like... teaching the kids how to sing. And the person that they're saying did the best job is the person that Ashley's not that impressed with, David Cook. She won't sleep with him. And she will not have sex with him. That's right. He is not that good looking. So over him. Yeah, David Cook, who is too cool for school. He really is. And they were all singing Mariah Carey songs. And he did pretty good. Well, he completely changed the sound and the arrangement, kind of like how he ripped off that Chris Cornell, Billie Jean song.
But he did a really good job. I mean, everybody was freaking out over him. He sang Always Be My Baby. How does the regular version go? What? Do we have it? Yeah. It's a big hit. Always Be My Baby. It's my favorite Mariah Carey song, and he ruined it. Oh, that's right. He ruined it. He didn't ruin it. No, it was good. You just don't like it. Oh, yeah. Feel Good song. Gia Silent Ash. Don't forget that. There you go. Get it, girl. I like this song. Yeah. Rob is closing his eyes like a black girl right now with a finger in the air. Index finger in the air. Can you imagine a dude singing this? Like a rocker dude? Let's hear it. It's cut 14. That's amazing. I think anytime somebody's got a real good voice, they can make something happen. Well, when you completely change the sound of a song like that, I'm always really impressed with that. Oh, what a medium. Wow. Wow.
Oh, I like that better. I like that. That's good. So he's the rocker guy this year. Yeah. David Cook. You guys think he'll win the whole thing? I think he's getting steam. Him and David Archuleta, it's kind of a two-horse race. Iron Jason Castro is really good. So good. Should go home tonight. He's the worst. Oh, my goodness. If he goes home tonight, Ashley's going to be really sad. She likes that guy. You know Christy Lupaka is going home. You would think so. Christy Lupaka. Yeah. Huh? Kathy Lee Gifford. That's right. What? Let's see. We're good on time, right? Supreme Court is going to get in there with the Constitution today. See if it allows the death penalty in child rape cases where no one's killed. Yeah. What is it about? Why? Well, I guess a lawyer for a guy who, you know, is on death row, they say currently five states allow it, allow you to put somebody to death for raping a child where no one is murdered. But Louisiana is the only place where people have been convicted and are actually currently on death row for child rape. So a lawyer for one of those guys has brought it to the Supreme Court saying that this goes against the Constitution.
under cruel and unusual punishment. And I now have a question just for the men, okay? And all men listening right now, driving in your cars or working at a construction site or whatever, this is just a question for the men. Ladies, you can listen. You won't really be able to participate in this, but it is a question for the guys. Guys, how many times have you been in drag and you go into the lingerie store and you apply for a job and they turn you down? And you get so mad, you go out to your car and you drive it into the lingerie store because you're mad. Oh, man. Yeah. How many times, like... I'm trying to think of... I'm trying to count. Like, there were so many in the 90s. Yeah, I think we've all been there. Well, this guy in Michigan, that's exactly what just happened. Yeah, he was very upset that he was turned down to work at this lingerie store, so he got into his 1994 black geotracker. He's mad about that, too. And ramped it into the building seven times. Because once is not enough. That is correct. That song that I'm playing right now was put in by Boston Rock.

I get a lot of emails like this one here in my practice, okay? You do? Yes. About Mexico? Yeah, people write to complain to me about Mexico all the time. Really? I didn't have no idea. Well, mostly they do that because I'm the secretary at our local chapter of the KKK. What? Oh, my God. Dr. Phil, don't say that. Oh, my God. Do not say stuff like that. I'm usually sorting through our Grand Dragons letters, but that is not what we're in North Korea. That is not what we're in North Korea. Say that, everybody. 105.3. He's going to miss four to six weeks. Time to play Lyrical Gangsta. Let's do a little Lyrical Gangsta. I love it, I love it. Yeah, it's fun, man. It's like a game where you know the lyrics of songs and we ask you little trivia questions about the lyrics of songs and you answer. It's very easy. But the only people that should be calling to play this game are people that do enjoy the lyrics of songs. If that's not really you, then you shouldn't be calling.
And you should know all types of genres because we do everything. We do hairband music sometimes. We'll do classic rock. We'll do all kinds of different genres. We'll do old school rap as a genre. The cool thing about it, though, is that you get to pick which one. We'll give you a choice of three different categories. And they're always changing. The categories are always changing. For instance, one week it could be songs Matt Lauer listens to while at the gym. Another week it might be songs enjoyed by the guy that works at the Gilbertos right down the street from you. It could be something different each and every time. Songs that my Biff and Mark really liked in high school. All collective soul. That's right. So it could be anything. P1. Clow is on the line. Clow, how are you? Clow. P1 Clow. Clow. It's C-Low, I think. It's what? C-Low. C-Low. Oh, P1 C-Low. Yeah. How are you, C-Low? I'm fantastic. Super. How old are you, C-Low? 29 on Friday. Oh, there you go. Got a birthday coming out. Thank you. And what do you do? I'm in the Navy. I'm a journalist.
There you go. You're a journalist in the Navy? So am I, but not in the Navy. That's right. Very nice. I'm going to give you three categories to pick from, okay? You get to choose between classic rock, in the name of love, which is love songs, or songs from movie soundtracks. I'm going to try in the name of love. You got it. Here is your question. In the song With or Without You by U2, he says, on a bed of nails, She makes me what? Makes me cry. Oh, wow. I don't even want to think about it. Oh, no. Oh, no. Maybe you should research that. Uh-oh. You know what, Mike? No, Sean, don't get upset. It's okay, Sean. Don't get upset, Sean. I mean, what in the? It's on a bed of nails. She makes me wait. Of course it is. It's okay. I'm sorry. I still love you. I'm sorry, CeeLo.
Without you. Yeah, that's blasphemy for a lot of us. Yeah, well, I mean. P1. Wasn't he the lead singer of the Scorpions? Cloud Mine, right? Correct. P1, Elizabeth, are you there? I'm here. Elizabeth, how old are you? I'm 23. And do you go to school or do you work? I'm actually working full time over at Rady Children's Hospital. Oh, nice. Good job. Nice. What do you do over there? I do most of all the credentialing and some support work for all the administrative work over there. We want to say thanks. We listen to you guys every morning. The times that you do the fundraisers for the Rating Children Hospital, it's working for that place, I've got to tell you. It's real inspiring. It's so... proud to work for a place like that. We love that place, man. You do. We love Children's Hospital. They're so awesome. Thank you guys, man. Don't thank us. Thank you. We're going to give you three categories to choose from. Your categories are songs from movie soundtracks in the name of love or classic rock. Let's try sounds from movie soundtracks. You got it. Your question is in the song Dead Man's Party by Oingo Boingo from the movie Back to School.
Nice one. Where should you leave your body and soul? Leave it at the door. You're not mine. You're upsetting Sean. That's dead on. I'm really sorry. Well, thanks so much for the shot, guys. Thank you, Elizabeth. Sean has been offended a couple of times already. I don't know if he can take much more. P1 Brandon is on the line. Brandon, are you there? Yes, how you doing? I'm good, man. Brandon, how old are you? I'm doing good. Okay, perfect. That was one of those moments. That was one of those moments. How you doing today, Brandon? I'm 25. Brandon, how old are you? I'm 24. There you go. And what do you do? I'm a Marine. There you go, man. Where are you from originally? I'm from Houston. Very nice. It's hot down there right now, isn't it?
All muggy. Very sticky and humid, and when you go outside, you feel like you need a shower again. No, no. It's really gross. No, thank you. I'm going to give you some categories here to pick from. Your categories are In the Name of Love, Songs from Movie Soundtracks, and Classic Rock. Songs from Movie Soundtracks. Got it. Your question is, in the song Take My Breath Away by Berlin from the movie Top Gun, She's watching every motion in this foolish lover's what. I... What? Who are you? Sean. Sean, are you okay? Sean, Sean, Sean, Sean, Sean, Sean. Before... What? Wait. Don't get upset. It's okay. The guy made... Sean, you're a little over my... Sean, hang on a minute. The guy made a simple mistake. I mean, maybe he was trying to look into his lover's eyes. Maybe there's this verse, we're missing or something. Maybe he should look into hanging out. Actually, the deal was that he was looking into his lover's, playing into this foolish lover's game. Awkwardly watch Tom Cruise do a sex scene. Sorry about that, Brandon. It's not going to work for you today, buddy.
All right, thanks for the shot, though. Yeah, you got it. P1, Junior, you are our last contestant. We've got to get a winner. We've got to get a winner today, Junior. I'm going to give you, first of all, Junior, what do you do for a living? I'm right now in school. All right, how old are you? 18. You're 18 years old. Where do you go to school? Escondido High. There you go. Shut up. There you go. I have a feeling you're going to be able to pull this off, dude. I have a lot of respect for Escondido High. You know what I'm saying? That's what I'm saying, dude. I really do believe that they have educated you to a point where you can do this, man. You can represent. I'm going to give you your categories now. Your categories are classic rock, in the name of love, and songs from movie soundtracks. Which one do you want? All right, let's go with classic rock, please. You got it. You're 18. Hey, you leave him alone. Okay. Your question is. Your question is, in the song Born to be Wild by Steppenwolf, what is he going to explode into? I've never even heard that song before. I know that song. My mind went blank. Sing it. It's hard, I know.
Dude, Escondido High was just really disappointed right now. What is the mascot at Escondido High, young man? Golden Panthers, Mike. It is not the Golden Panthers, Eddie. It is not the Golden Panthers. Fighting Crawfish. No, Eddie. No, it's the... Rickshaws? No, you guys. It's the Amish old ladies. It is? Junior, what's the mascot over there? It's the Cougars. It's the Cougars. Eddie was very close. Actually... They were about to explode into space. Sorry, bro. No winners. Didn't have a winner today. Some days are diamonds and some days are stone. But they were so easy. I agree. Sean. He just calmed down. When we come back, I'm going to ask you a question. How willing are you to rat out your neighbor's kid? That is next. 35253 is a text. 570-1053 is the phone number. Wait till I read you this email. I want to know your opinion next. The show continues on The Rock. I've been listening to my Mikey show for a while, and I've been hearing, you know, AIS this, AIS that. Northbound on the 15, kind of jamming up here, coming out of Tierra Santa, approaching Claremont Mesa Boulevard. That's a slow ride up to just before the 163 emerged here. That's affecting westbound 52, trying to get on that northbound 15 on that right-hand turn. You're going to find a bunched-up ride there out of Tierra Santa heading that direction as well. Farther north from the 15, as you work your way up towards Falbrook, actually the Paula area, there's an overturned trailer here right in the middle of the freeway here near the 76. It's got only the slow lane open now, and you're going to find a backup on the approach there. Heading south of the 15th, an earlier accident involving a motorcycle on the opposite side of that accident at the 76th as well. So watch for slow traffic around that. A little farther south as you work your way out of Escondido, you'll find the usual commute traffic here from Auto Parkway to Villarancho. Some reduced speeds again to Carmel Mountain Ranch. The coast arrives south, five staying tough out of Lucadia and a Solana Beach.
And the East County, give me westbound, Nate, a little tight here right around Lake Murray, and then you're good to go. The West 94 King Freeway, bunching up a little bit towards Euclid, then again into downtown. And things are starting to see some traffic out of the South Bay. The Chargers released their schedule. They have five primetime games on the schedule. So welcome back to the show. We've got a couple of text messages here. You can text us at 35253. That is our text number, and we would love to hear from you. Our phone number is 570-1053. And just read a couple of text messages for you. Hey, Mickey. Oh. I believe that this is an email or a text message that is met for me. Although, it says Mickey. I believe they mean Mikey. Well, the numbers are so small, Mike. It's hard to... I am often mistaken for a mouse. It says, hey, Mikey, it's P1 Chivas. I heard you talking about the truffle fries. Can you please tell me where I can find them? Thank you. You guys rock. It is a place called the Pample Moose Grill.
And he had trouble with Mikey. Good luck with that word. Mikey, you guys rock my socks off. That's from P1 Spacey Casey. Mikey, how do we get the sticker? By going to the sticker strike or is there another way to get it before then? That's P1 Christy. There is no way to get it before then. Trust me. They're in a vault. That is correct. You can see the new sticker. You can go to MikeyShow.com. And you can type in the keyword sticker and you can see our brand new version 2 Mikey Show P1 Army sticker brought to you by Cricket Wireless and the U.S. Border Patrol. This thing is sweet. But the thing is, is that we've done this before. We have some experience with sticker strikes. We have experience with shutting down I-15 with a SIG alert.
And so with that being said, San Diego Police Department has agreed. Well, not agreed. They've strongly suggested that we involve them this time so that we can help get people in and out of this place. Thousands of people turn out for this. And trust me, when these stickers are gone, folks, they will be gone. And so get them while we're giving them out. Get them out of their heart. That's right. Well, here's the deal, man. The P1 sticker itself is a hot enough thing to come out to get. Yes, it's special. It is. But when you throw in over $200,000 in cash and prizes... Oh, that makes it more special. It makes it a lot more special. Well, how about the fact that every single person that puts this sticker on their car is going to win something? Sorry, what? Every single person that comes to... Everybody gets a prize. Remember that line from Dumb and Dumber? I don't think that's how it goes. From Oprah, everybody gets a car, but it's everybody gets a prize. Remember? I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. I did immediately. I remember Oprah saying, everybody gets a prize. Exactly like that. Wow. Saturday, May the 10th, Qualcomm Stadium, 10 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon.

He's not going to show up. Loving you. Perhaps not. No. You stop it. Now, every person that puts a sticker on their car is going to get a $50 gift certificate towards a tattoo at Good Neighbor Tattoo. That's cool. Along with that gift certificate, they're also going to get a free car wash from Massey Toyota. Awesome! One person that goes out there is going to get a $2,500 gift certificate from Audio Car towards Audio Video Equipment. One person that goes out there is going to get season tickets to the 08 Charger season. Have you seen that schedule? Great game. We're also giving away a $1,000 gas card. Nice. We're giving away a flat screen TV from Encinitas TV. That's crazy. But one lucky person is going to win themselves a Kawasaki 2008 Ninja 250R from House of Motorcycles. Wow. And the sticker. Yeah, booyah. Booyah Kasha. So listen, if you're not in on that, I don't want to know you. May the 10th, Saturday, May the 10th at Qualcomm.
10 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon. If anything else, that is a party, man. Yeah. That is a P1 get-together. Qualcomm realized how big that last one was, says we can't have anything else going on that day. No. It's going to be real big, you guys. Yep. It's going to be real big. So let me read this email to you, and I want to get your thoughts. 570-1053 or text us 35253. Mikey, my 16-year-old neighbor's boyfriend. stayed the night at her house last night. Her parents are divorced. The dad's a great guy, but he's not around much. I've noticed that her BF's car, now BF for those of you that are not in the hip community, stands for boyfriend. I've noticed that her BF's car is parked outside later and later at night, even on school nights. I see his car there past 1130 sometimes, and it's not really any of my business, but I kind of feel it's inappropriate.
I feel like telling the dad something, but that doesn't seem right either. I'm kind of in between her age and her parents' age. They're in their mid-40s, and I guess that that is causing a conflict. If I had kids her age, I'd probably tell him in a heartbeat. What can you possibly say to a parent in that situation? Hey, man, your daughter's boyfriend stayed all night. I'm sure he slept on the couch and was a perfect gentleman. Maybe her mom was out of town, but then who leaves a 16-year-old alone on spring break? Regards, P1 Fez. Now, what I don't understand about that is he says the dad is out of town on business a lot. But he says maybe her mom was out of town. Well, if they're divorced.
I don't get it. Or maybe that's why she didn't go stay with the mom since the dad was out of town on spring break. That's the way I interpreted it. Okay, so she lives with her dad. But she's got a mom and maybe the mom was out of town. I get it. She lives with the dad and the dad was probably out of town. Or was out of town. And should you tell him when he gets back, I don't know if you know this, but your daughter's boyfriend's car is out there real late at night. And I don't know how you feel about that. Now, this person is torn, and they're torn about the whole, well, I'm kind of in between the kid's age and the parent's age. The parents are in their mid-40s, so I guess this person's in their late 20s. And so they don't really know where to err on this side of things. Okay, well, this is what I was talking about a little bit yesterday, and that is that if you get a divorce, There's just stuff that goes along with it. It's like if you get a dog, well, better yet, if you get a cat, a litter box is going to come with it. And if you get a, let's say you get a Great Dane, big paw prints come with the Great Dane. It's part of what comes with it. You don't usually get the cat without the litter box. It just doesn't usually happen. And you don't usually get...
divorce that doesn't come with its side effects. Be careful to not try to start thinking, oh, is he making a judgment call? I'm not, man. I promise you I'm not. It's not about are you a bad person if you get a divorce or anything. You're not a bad person if you get a divorce, man. That's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying that when you do get a divorce, that there's stuff that happens and one of them is you got one parent living over here and you got one parent living over here. And sometimes the kids are with both parents that, you know, like I'm with my mom for this week and with my dad for this week. And so there are side effects of divorce. That's all. And so in this particular case, she's living with her dad and her dad's out. And by the way, I want to get your guys comments. I'm going to go to people on the show here. And Ashley, I even want to ask you because Ashley came from a family of divorce. So I'm going to ask you in a second to 570-1053 is our phone number and our. Text number 35253. But you have a dad that has custody and he's got a job. He's got to go out of town sometimes. And so what is going to be the side effect of dad going out of town sometimes? The daughter's going to have the boyfriend staying over at the house. Now, that's one complete separate issue. And then the next point that I was going to make is, well, if you're asking yourself.
whose side are you trying to err on? I'm kind of in between the kid's age and the parent's age. Well, I guess my answer to that is you need to ask yourself, well, am I going to upset the 16-year-old if I tell the dad? And is there something in, like what's in it for you each way? Like what's the right thing to do here? Is the right thing to do to make sure that you're doing the right thing by being a good friend and buddy to the 16 year old or is the right thing to do to make sure that you're doing the best thing for the 16 year old now there is a school of thought here well what if i tell him and then he does something about it and it just makes the situation worse because the 16 year old now wants to rebel i'll show that neighbor and i'll show dad for trying to come down on me
I'll tell you what I'm going to do. Now I'm going to have my boyfriend park around the corner. Oh, you're so smart, aren't you, neighbor? You're so smart. Is my boyfriend here now? Where's his car? You can't see him, can you, neighbor? Got your boyfriend sunglasses on? I'll see you there. We get it. Eddie, what do you think? Well, you know, it's tough because I'll be honest with you. I would want to tell my neighbor. But I know myself, and I would stay out of it. It's none of my business. I would want him to know. I think it would be cool of me to let him know, but I would stay out of it. It would be none of my business, and I wouldn't say a word. Sky. Depending also on my relationship with the neighbor. If I knew him really well, then maybe. But if I kind of just casually knew him. Yeah, what if it was me? If it was you, yeah. You'd be like, hey, dude, did you know that? Absolutely. Sky. Yeah, I at this point, like today, if this was going on today, I would not say anything. But if I was a mother and I had a child in their teenage years, 100 percent, I would say something. And I don't know why that makes a difference, because now today at my age with no children, I know that that's not cool. I know that that's not right. I know this girl could maybe potentially get in some trouble that she's not ready for by having her boyfriend spend the night.
But I wouldn't say anything. But if I had kids, 100 percent. You're not alone, Sky. I mean, in the email itself, it says if I had kids her age, I'd probably tell him in a heartbeat. Yeah. And I and I can't reconcile in my head why. Well, if it would be OK for you to tell him when you have kids, why aren't you doing it now? I don't know. I want to get Ashley's take because Ashley, you know, she was a it came from divorce. And specifically what I want to ask Ash. Because your parents were divorced when you were 16, right? Yes. So my question to you would be, what kind of effect would it have if the neighbor told your dad and your dad came to you and busted you on it? Would you be rebellious and figure out a way to not have nosy neighbor know what's up? Or would you be like, busted, can't do this anymore? It would be the first one. Yes, it would. That technique would not work with me. Like, it just wouldn't. Yeah, like, if you stick your nose where it doesn't belong like that, especially if you don't have a relationship with a 16-year-old, you're really kind of taking over the reins of parenting, and it's just not your place as the neighbor. You know, whether or not the dad knows, that's the dad's prerogative, and that's the dad's kid, like, to raise. Yeah. You know what's kind of interesting, too, is that...
I don't think that the dad is stupid. Something tells me dad's not stupid. Like he's just not completely naive. You know what I mean? But if he's not naive, then you're saying he's aware that his daughter is having funny business. And just doesn't want to hear about it or know about it. Doesn't want to think that's it. Ignorance is bliss. He goes, if you were to corner it, first of all, it's never in his mind. But if it were... Brought to his attention, like somehow he was driving down the freeway and he saw a billboard that said, you're going out of town. Do you think that your daughter's boyfriend is going to be staying at the house? Let's say that that happened. He'd probably be like, he'd probably go, what about that? Anyway, what's on the radio? I think it might be one of those. Or are you sticking with confidence? That's what I'm saying. P1 Neck. Hey, what's going on, man? And Mikey, I think you hit the nail right on the head. I mean, if that neighbor says anything, it's going to do nothing but cause problems. And they're still going to do what they do behind closed doors. I mean, there's no way around that. I mean, if they're having sex now, they're going to continue to have it. It's really interesting, man, because when you start to think about it, I think that the best way to go about it is to maybe try to think like a kid. Pretend that you're 16 years old.
that you want your significant other your boyfriend or your girlfriend to be coming over you want that your dad's out of town and you have a good thing going now you got to ask yourself if you're a kid anything contrary to that is not okay in my world plus i'm 16 i think i know it all and i don't like being told anything yeah you got that element going Eddie, is there anything at all, if you were going to be approached about it, is there anything that could influence you to maybe change that? Anything at all? Is there something? Is there a way to be approached? I don't know. It's a tough question. Because I'm sitting here thinking about it. I'm like, okay, I'm 16. I got a good thing going. I don't want anything contrary to that. I don't like it. I don't want to hear it. So what would be a way? That is hard, man. But that's the answer, by the way. Whatever the answer to that is. And the other thing is, you got to know your kid, too. Like, see, when I was a kid, I was definitely the kid that went, oh, busted. And once I was busted, that was it. I may have a resentment towards the neighbor, but I wouldn't be doing the sneak her in because I'd be afraid the neighbor would see it and I'd be busted.
Do you have to tell the kid that the neighbor's the one that told you? How else do you tell without lying? Parents just know stuff. You can just be like, hey, listen, I know what's going on. I'm disappointed in you. Why don't you throw the disappointed card out? You don't think that the kid is going to say, not say, but you don't think that the kid is smart enough to be like, which one was it? Well, let them try and figure it out if they want, but that's not really, to me, that's not what's important here. I'm worried that the kid does what Ash said, that the kid is like, oh, this is in their head. They don't say this back to dad. In fact, they're good. So what they do, you know, they're good at this manipulation. So what they do with dad is they go, well, I'm really sorry. Oh, man, I'm so sorry. And then dad leaves and maybe they get grounded. Oh, shucks, I'm grounded for a whole week. So dad leaves the room and then they talk to their boyfriend and they go, hey, we got to do this different now. But you don't think that that would scare the kid enough to go, wow, how the heck does my dad know that my boyfriend's coming over here? It would me. It would you, too. I think we're the same ilk. Ash was bold. And there's a lot of kids like that that are bold, man. They'll go for it. In fact, it's an incentive. It's like a challenge now. Like, they're thinking of the neighbor going, oh, really? Oh, you are so smart. Well.
I think I may be a little smarter than you. And so that's the question. The question is to everybody listening, put yourself in a 16 year old's mind. What would possibly could happen or let you hear that could change everything? Maybe it's like that episode of Arrested Development where the father, Michael, decided that the way that he was going to change his son's behavior is to punk him. He would arrange for a fake police department to come and do a drug bust just to scare him straight. Oh, dude. Quick timeout. Your phone call is 570-1053. And our text number is 35253. Calls every morning that people pick on Sky or Ashley or giving Eddie or Sean stuff. Every one of you are great. Thank you, man. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock.

West 94 on the King Freeway a little slow from Federal here out to an accident clearing near Euclid Avenue. We've got the westbound 8 pretty jamming up now out of La Mesa from La Mesa Boulevard. That continues for a very slow ride all the way up to the 15. More slow traffic from the 805 and towards Texas Street. As you travel north on that 15 this morning, that's seeing a heavy ride as well. Coming out of Tierra Santa up toward the 163 merge. That in turn is affecting the 52, trying to get out of Santee. Police have arrested a man suspected of beating a homeless amputee to death with a crutch downtown on Monday night. The Chargers' Stephen Cooper has been suspended for the first four games of the season for a banned stimulant. We're getting a lot of phone calls on this topic. 570-1053. If you're just tuning in, we got this email. And it is from P1 Fez, which I will assume is a male. And basically saying he's got a neighbor. And the neighbor is a dude. And he is in his mid-40s. And the neighbor has a 16-year-old daughter. And the mid-40s-year-old male neighbor is out of town. And while that cat's away, the mice will play.
And so the 16 year old daughter has her boyfriend staying over there real late at night. And this guy is saying to himself, I don't know what to do, man. Should I tell my neighbor? Shut up and keep your mouth shut. Holy cow. I mean, the guy hasn't said anything yet. He was just asking. Jeez. Now, listen. I will say this. I will say this to these folks that text message this. I understand you're coming from the perspective of it's not their business. Leave them alone. I understand that. I'll just ask you to think of it from another perspective because your perspective is cool and it's all right to have that opinion. But what if you're coming from the perspective of, all right, now I am 40 and I got kids and my kid's doing that and nobody's letting me know. Because if it were me, I want somebody saying, hey, dude, man, Jake had. Melissa. I'm going to say his girlfriend's name will be Melissa. She's a gorgeous girl. Because I just know it will be. She's trouble. I just know it will be. Yeah, well, she's a little racy. But beautiful. Melissa McNoddy. Okay? Melissa McNoddy. Yes. Very common. Very common name. You know that. I'm like, McNoddy was over here? Oh, Miss McNoddy. That's right.
I want to know, man. As a parent, I want to know. So these are these two text messages, I think, are coming from people that are coming from the perspective of mind your own business, blah, blah, blah. But try to think of it if you're a parent. Next one says, I would ask the father first if he was gone last night. And if he said yes, then I would let him know what's going on without stepping on his toes. It's from P1 Moose Lover, which is kind of like, hey, were you around last night? And then the guy's like, no, actually, well, did you know? It's that kind of thing. Mikey, they don't say anything if the mom didn't ask them to keep an eye on the kid and the house. Maybe that's it. What if the father were to say to the kid, hey, I told so-and-so to keep an eye on the house, and that's lying, though. But this text message is saying you shouldn't say something unless. The father came to you prior and said, keep an eye on my baby girl. P1 Gunslinger's on the line. Good morning. What do you think, man? I think he should say something. And the only reason is I've been in the same scenario, but the neighbor was a male. And every time his parents were gone, the girlfriend would come over. She ended up getting knocked up. Oh, no. And she was 16.
and he was like 17. No way. Or she was 15, something like that. But the worst part of it is the parents were always gone and the girlfriend left him. He starts doing drugs, gets worse and worse and worse into it. And I drop hints here and there that there's riffraff hanging around the neighborhood. And he died of a heroin overdose. Wow. Extreme. That is very extreme. Extreme. And, you know, I feel real bad for the daughter, the little girl, because she always comes and plays with my kids. And, you know, she'd have to be around him during the daytime when the girlfriend was at school or whatever. And it's just a bad situation. So if you can, you know, nip it in the bud, it'd be great. There you go. Thanks a lot, man. That's P1 Gunslinger. P1 Playful Whale.
is on the line right now, and it's playful. It's playful, Eddie. There's no such thing. It's playful whale. Playful. They're too big. I know Eddie does not like killer whales, but this is playful whale. I don't like any of them. They're too big. What? Playful whale. Girthy. What is your take on this? Well, my take is, I mean, I've got some neighbors, and, you know, I mean, I look after the girls down the street. I've seen them grow up. They're like my little sisters. I think if I had a girl like that in the situation, I'd be just telling her, you know, I know you got your boy coming over late at night. I don't want you getting in trouble with your dad and having a big problem in the relationship between your boyfriend and your father and him not being able to come around. So probably in your best interest to tone it down late night activities. There's a lot of snoopy old people in this neighborhood that might tell your dad. Ashley, let me ask you the whole situation. All right, Ashley. Let me ask you about Playful Whale's comments. Was there anybody in your neighborhood that was somebody that you considered kind of a cool adult or no? Yes. What if they said what Playful Whale's talking? And this cool adult would have come right to me. What would have happened? I would have completely responded. Really? Yeah, for sure. That's it? Yeah. Wow.
Maybe we got the answer. Now, I have a quick story that's similar but not to with a creepy neighbor who went about it a different way and that made me freak out. I was babysitting. He punched in the neck and that didn't go over well at all. I was babysitting, and this dad that lived across the street from where I was babysitting, which was down the street from my house, was real weird, and everyone knew it. He was real creepy. He was like my friend's dad. So I knew him. I've known him for years. And I had this guy that I had a crush on come over and hang out with me. We were just hanging out. The kids were already asleep. It was like a Saturday night, like 9 p.m., and I was probably like 16. Right. And he came right up to the door and knocked, and he's like, Saw a guy come in here. Are you babysitting? Like, what's a guy doing in here? And just called me out. Weird. Made the guy leave. And then, like, told the parents when they came home. Just, I mean, completely got up in it. Now, would you still find that weird? Or do you think that's inappropriate, Mike, for that neighbor to have done that? Or you said weird. I don't know. Yeah, it's just, I don't know. I have to think about inappropriate. It's weird. I think it is inappropriate, though. Because if, say, Ashley, 16 years old, babysitting Jake.
And your neighbor across the street sees a dude go in the house. So this wasn't your house, you were babysitting? Right, I was babysitting down the street. And I mean, I've been babysitting for these guys for years. And all the kids were asleep. There's three kids and they're a little bit older, like probably like three, nine and 11. And they were all asleep upstairs. And I had this guy I had a crush on come over, which I know is not cool. And the neighbor took it upon himself to come across the street, knock on the door, call me out, make the guy leave. And then tell the parents. I got to say this. When Ashley said what that guy did, my instant reaction is, that is weird, man. Until you said, what if it was Jake? And then I'm like, it's not that weird anymore. No, they're watching your back. Eddie, what do you think? I have a question. So the people that you were babysitting for, they didn't give you the okay to have guys come over or anything like that? No, and I didn't really ask. Like, I was doing something wrong. Okay, so you were doing something wrong. I have no problems with the guy doing that. Yeah, I don't really either. Why did it hit me as real weird? Because she painted it as he's a creepy guy. Extreme behavior, too. Now, wait a minute. Maybe if I had had the story delivered to me like this. I was babysitting.
And one of the neighbors from down the street came over and said, what's going on? Why is there a guy here? I kicked the guy out. Maybe I would have been. But see, I did. I had in my mind, this guy's weird. He's on the Internet looking at kids. That's what I had in my mind when she painted it. And what I was giving you was, like, my 16-year-old perspective. Like, I thought he was the weird, creepy dad. And who is he? Creepy neighbor dad coming over up in my business. And I still, like, to this day, like, have some type of resentment towards him that I should get over. This is what I would do in this situation. If I was the neighbor, I'd pull the dad aside and say, I don't know what kind of brothel your daughter's running at. But there are guys coming in and out all night long. And then that way, when he addresses the daughter and she said, no, it was just my boyfriend, he's happy, you know, that it's just one guy. Everybody wins in that situation. Everybody's a winner. Everybody's a winner. What kind of drugs is she pumping out of your house at night? She doesn't get in trouble. Problem solved. When we come back, when we come back, we are going to be doing Secret Crush and

Well, I just got an email yesterday from Boston Rob, and he is having a cookout this weekend for his brother's birthday. It is true. Did you say this weekend? Yes. But wouldn't we have had to have found out about it long ago? No, we got it yesterday. But wait a second. Wait, is Boston Rob here? Is he in the building? Nope. He's not. He's not. I just heard someone say he's actually not here. He took a sick leave. Oh, good thing. Because I was going to ask him why he would invite us two days before the thing. Three days, actually. It's truly ridiculous. And if he's on Saturday, four. So that's ample time. I have to say, though, I am looking forward to it. Because he's going to have a cookout. I want broads. You'll bet. Let me tell you something. On this ridiculous email, he said something about having burgers and dogs. Well, that's hard. Yeah. Rob, what did I tell you? We're going to have an argument right now. Eddie's sponsored. I want to bring the meat. I want to bring the Johnsonville brats. No, no, no. Hold on. You're ridiculous, man. I said the only thing I was going to have in my house. You already told me that you're bringing the brats. Right. I know that. I'm looking forward to that. I'm counting on it. Throw away the burgers. Don't go back on your word. Throw away the hot dogs. Bring those brats. I don't want those things even touching the grill. Okay. Because I want it just to be the brats. Just the brats.
You understand? Okay. Can we boil some in beer, too? See, we have another argument. Here we go. Oh, no. We have another argument. Have you ever had it? Yes, I have. And they're delicious. I'm not saying they're not. Johnson, you can roll Johnson with Brats in dirt, and they're going to taste good. But I prefer them on the grill, and only on the grill. But you can mix it. We'll go half and half. You know what? Just give me two, and then you do the rest on the grill. And then come Monday, we'll figure out who did a better job. That's fair. All right. All right. Now, if you're having a cookout this weekend, make sure you go to the store today and get yourself some Johnsonville brats that are the best. Now back to the Mikey Show. A very enlightened Mikey. Best sexy John Nair voice, right? Yes! Hey. I'm out. I'm out. No, thank you. Welcome back. It's 8 o'clock. Sean, your mic is on. I just want to... People can hear you.
Welcome back. It is 8.04. Paris Hilton has apologized to Kim Kardashian after calling her butt, quote, gross during a radio interview. A Mets fan dies after falling over a railing at Shea Stadium. Oh, my. Oh, my. Eddie. Yes. I can't tell people what this guy wants to do because I don't want to influence people's thoughts. I don't want to influence this man's thoughts. I feel for this man. Eddie, I feel that this man wants to meet a young woman. You know, it may work. Okay. Yes. It may work. I understand. I understand. I understand. But can I just say something? What? I think that this, in general, in general, is risky. That is true. Eddie, will you tell people what P1 Jackson is calling about secret crush today? All right. His secret crush is on... Keep an open mind. His barista. Oh. He goes into Starbucks every day and apparently flirts with a girl that works there. Nice. And...
He doesn't know her phone number or anything, so we had to find out what Starbucks she works at. And we're actually going to call the store where she's working. Can I? And try it out. Okay. Sounds so bad. All I'm going to say. Chance encounter. Let's get him on the phone. We're not. Jackson. How are you, man? Good. How are you? I'm good. I'm good. Listen. Here's the deal. I think that this is fantastic. And you know what? The bottom line is, is that it could be that this barista that we're talking about here, what is this young girl's name? Her name is Megan. Okay. I'll give you my thoughts here in a second, but first, hang on, everybody. It's not going good so far. Everybody, hang on. Don't psych him out. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. Positive thoughts, Mike. I have such positive thoughts right now. We're all about love, man. We're about it. Jackson, how old are you? Me, I'm 38. All right. Sean is 38. You guys have a lot in common. Well, that's neither here nor there. I am 24. Stick to the plan. You're about to be 38. I am not. Yeah, you are, bro. I'm 24. Like a month. Jackson, how old is Megan? I would say she's about 32, 33. All right. Okay. Now, here's the deal. You don't know, though, for sure.
No, no, I never asked her age. You're not supposed to ask a woman her age. That is true. But you would estimate her about 32, 33? Yeah, I would think so. Okay. I'm just going to give... I think it's a responsible thing to say to Jackson. Positive. We're being positive. Okay, forget it. No, I have to, though, Skye. I have to. I have to say... Be gentle. Okay, I'm going to be very gentle. there is this thing out there. Like I've gotten these like joke emails before, like, you know, where they're like making all these jokes and they're like, guys, it's like a, it's like a letter, like an email written to men, like an open letter to men from women. And then you get the email that's like an open letter to women from men. You know what I mean? And, and like for an example, like the open letter to women from men would be like, Hey ladies. When you ask us if you look fat in that, blah, blah, blah. You know that kind of thing? Well, there's like this. I've seen these joke emails before that says, hey, fellas, just because your barista said hello to you doesn't mean she's flirting. Hang on. Have you guys ever seen that before? Dude, please. I beg you, Sky. I beg you, Sky. I beg you, Sky.
Okay, fine. She may make his foam extra frothy. You don't know. You're not there. You're not there. Don't you bring my man Jackson down. How delicious that whip is or venti latte. Or a soy chai. You go that way. That is fine. Now, let me ask you a question, Jackson. Jackson, do you feel that Megan... maybe has an attraction back. I would think so. I mean, we flirt every day. I'm feeling a little self-conscious now that you said all that. I'm sorry, Jackson. Don't listen to him, Jackson. Don't listen to him, Jackson. If you're picking up on the vibe, Jackson, then that's all you need. Hey, man, you guys are real smart when it comes to stuff like this. No, wait, I don't know about that. Okay, so Jackson, you're saying that you guys flirt. Yes, we do. You're a flirt. Okay. Yeah, I think that we have a little bit of flirtation when I come in in the morning. Okay. Did you, for instance, did you see her this morning? Yeah. Okay. And can you tell me, did you guys flirt this morning? Yeah, I made a few comments. Okay. Can you give me an example of what the flirtation... My! Oh, man. What is that? You guys, what? I just am...
asking about the flirt thing. I asked for cinnamon, and she put it on my drink. No, no, no. We're going to hear whatever, however they flirted, and then when he tells us how they're flirted, we're going to be like, wow, that's super cute. Okay, fine, we will. So, Jackson, what happened? What happened this morning? Well, in the past, she mentioned, you know, as I was ordering or whatever, I asked her, you know, how her night was or something. And she says that she's addicted to reality TV. Uh-huh. Yeah. So usually I make some kind of comment about whatever reality TV show happened to be on the night before. And she'll be like, oh, God, I know. I stayed up and watched it. I should have been doing something else. Now, I got to say in Jackson's defense. I have to say in Jackson's defense. Yeah. That's super cute. I have to say in Jackson's defense. Yes. That. Thank you. I do not. I do not. have those kinds of conversations with my barista. We don't usually... You don't talk about American Idol? We usually... Actually, you know, it's very professional. So if she is engaging in, like, real friendly conversations... Chit-chat. Yeah. And a lot of it has to do with the tone and facial expressions. That has a lot to do with... Body language. Body language. The whole thing. And so we are not privy to that. Boca frap. Yeah. But I'm going to assume that the entire reason that Jackson...
even got a hold of us is because he felt like there was something. Something there, Mike. There was something. Jackson, can you describe what Megan looks like for us so that we can get a visual image here? She's got a green apron, Mike. What does Megan look like? I would say she's about 5'7". Okay. You know, she's kind of on the tall side. She has really thick, long brown hair. I thought you were going to say glasses. Really thick glasses. No, she has really thick, long, what color? Brown hair. She's a brunette. Okay. About the middle of her back, and she has green eyes. She has beautiful eyes, and her hair smells like cinnamon! Too much, Adrian. I think it's a latte that smells like cinnamon. Yeah, it kind of smells like an extra shot of espresso. There you go. Oh, boy. This is going to be a good one. So, I got a question. Jackson, what is your drink? What is my drink? Yeah, what do you order?
I ordered one of their skinny lattes, and they're usually... That's what I mean. Hello. Come on, the guy's watching this. Is this barista, dude? Are you sure you don't want to call Bruce? Shut up, guys. Come on, now. Come on, easy. He is a gay man. He is not. He's not. He likes a skinny latte. Did you hear the... Did you put your pinky up? Did you hear... Did you hear how he did not want to tell us what that drink was? Oh, can you blame him? Sounds gay. Maybe she's a fruit fly. I used to drink the regulars. Yeah, yeah, no, totally, totally, totally, bro. Summer's coming up, bro. Don't we all? Don't we all? You're gay? No, stop it. Stop it. I saw you order a skinny latte. All right, so let's review. Jackson, he's 38. And he has met this girl, Megan. She's about 32, 33. Works at Starbucks. She's 5'7". She's got thick, long brown hair, green eyes. Jackson, real briefly, what do you look like? Six feet tall. I have dark brown hair, a little salt and pepper. Chiseled out of granite. Chisel. I'm in shape because I drink skinny lattes. There you go. There you go. Okay, well, here's what we're going to do, man. We're going to take a time out, okay? Risky. This is risky. It's risky business, Eddie.
We're going to take a timeout. And I don't want to call directly to the store because I don't know if they're going to say the location and I don't want to be giving out. She's busy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we're going to have Ash try to get her on the phone at the Starbucks. On it. She's working right now, right, Jackson? Jackson, are you there? She should be. Okay, cool. Don't you remember they were flirting this morning about American Idol? Okay. So we take a timeout. We come back. We call Megan. And Jackson will have the opportunity to tell Megan how he feels. Now, Megan or Jackson, I got to stress this to you. Tell him, Mike. First of all, this is Radio Man. And so you got to really like lay it out there. The last thing I want is to come back. We go on the air and then you're like, you know, we get her on the phone and you're like, hey, I just want to see if you like want to go out sometime.
You really, Jackson, you really got to tell Megan how you feel, why you think she's beautiful. Tell her how beautiful you think she is. Tell her you want to steam her milk. Okay. Oh, wow. And then. What? It's a barista thing. And then you're going. That's what they do. To ask her out. Holy. We like compliments. Women love compliments. Women love compliments. Ash, what else do women love? Money. No, you don't even know what stupid is. The Mikey Show is on. It's about to get all stupid up in the... 60 days to rock hard abs. Not quite. Speak fluent Italian in just 60 days. Pensacosi. And now another, it looks like a stalled car right in the middle of the lanes near the racetrack at Villa La Valle in Del Mar. So make it a tough ride on that Southbound 5 here. As you head into downtown in the Southbound 5, an accident near Front Street where cars spin out and smacked the Santa Divide. Had some slow traffic around that. We've got Southbound 7 to the 15. That's been a tough one as well. Coming off the 78 to via Rancho Parkway into Rancho Bernardo. Slows again through Carmel Mountain Ranch. Coming off the 15, westbound 56. That's a very tough ride as well. Coming through Rancho Penasquitas to an accident clearing just past Black Mountain Road.
The West 8 this morning is seeing some heavy traffic from Spring Street out towards the College area. Then again from Waring to the 15. Continuing slow all the way to Mission Center Road. Northbound 15 coming off the 8 freeway. That's a busy ride as well up to Murphy Canyon. And then again approaching the 52 up to the 163 merge. And both the 5805 northbound and the South Bay. Tough rides out of Chula Vista up to National City. 805 crawls again from Mesa College all the way up to Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Go green or go home? She knows everything about it. Eternal what? Okay, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, Ash. No, no, no. I'm going to read this again. Go green. Go green. Hold on. Come on, girl. Ash. She's looking at me right now, drinking from a sippy straw, running a generator.
5-3. Take a show of temperature. How's everybody feeling about this? Everybody good? I'm ready. Well, then, then it should grow great. Yep. It is 8-22. Today, the White House is hosting the official arrival ceremony for the Pope. 12,000 people are expected to attend. Randy Wolf threw seven shutout innings as the Padres beat the Rockies last night, 6-0. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number here is 5701053. And, Sky, here, let me hand you that. And go ahead. We're going to do a new feature here on the show where Sky will read some text messages. All right, Sky, take it away. Sky can go ahead and read those. Sky, what do we got? Text messages. What do we got? Well, can Jackson hear me? Well, no, I'm asking because I don't want him to.
I know you're about to go push a button, but it's probably better for his... You know what? Then I won't push the button and put him back on the air yet. Okay, so it's probably better for his kadonkadonk that he doesn't hear these text messages. What kind of text are we getting today? The first one is this dude probably thinks strippers are interested in his personality, too. I would for sure be creeped out if he wanted my number. He should just ask for it. P1 Aloha. Another one. Hey, it's not flirting. It's customer service. P1 Aloha. Who is that from? P1 Sky? No. Hey, guys. I forgot to tell you. He can hear on hold. JK? Hey, Jackson. Yeah? Do not analyze what you just heard. Do not. Do not analyze it. Don't read into it. P1s are very cynical. Yes. Don't. Don't. Don't overthink it because you know what will happen, bro? Right. You'll just make yourself crazy. That's true. It'll consume you and that's just. That is not what we want in this situation, okay? What is it?
Okay. I'm going to fill listeners in on what's going on. We're doing Secret Crush, which is where we have people write us on our website. You could do it too. Just go to MikeyShow.com and write us an email if you would like us to go ahead and call somebody and give you the opportunity on the air, just like your own Jumbotron. Let somebody know in public that you like them and that you'd like to go out on a date with them. It's called Secret Crush. And Jackson is 38. And he is a patron of Starbucks. Delicioso. He is six feet tall. He's got dark brown hair. And he enjoys himself a skinny latte or two. Who doesn't, Mike? And he has a barista. And it is his favorite barista. Her name is Megan. And Megan is 32, 33 years of age. And she is 5'7". She has thick. Long brown hair and green eyes. And Jackson is single. He thinks, excuse me, he flirts with her every day. He flirts. They flirt. They flirt. They flirt with each other. Sounds like they just talk. No, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We're pumping them up. Come on. Flirt. Woo. And so. Come on.
So we did not tell Megan why we were getting her on the air. Let me change the mood. Listen to that. Oh, this is going to work. Nice music. So we have her and we're going to tell her that it's Secret Crush. And then we're going to let Jackson take over and start to tell her the way he feels. And don't forget, Jackson, girls love compliments. And you know what? So. Speak from the heart. We have to kind of hurry up because he's working. Megan, are you there? Megan, are you there? Yeah. Hi. Megan is working at a Starbucks right now. And Megan, I am going to let you know while you're on the air. My name is Mikey, and I'm on the Mikey Show at Rock 105.3. Have you ever heard of the show? I think so. Uh-oh. Whoa. Whoa. Oh, whoa.
It's okay. If you haven't heard of the show, that's all right. You know, we would invite you to listen. It's at 105.3 and we're on in the morning. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I know, I know. 105.3. Thank you very much. That just filled me with confidence that didn't feel genuine. But what we're going to do, Megan, is we do this thing on the radio and it's called Secret Crush. And the idea with Secret Crush is that somebody has a secret crush on you and they want to call you and tell you about it. And they want to do it in a way that is very bold and public and let the world know how they feel. It's kind of exciting, right? Okay. Say it with funny. Megan Jackson. is on the line. Perhaps you know Jackson. Jackson, are you there? Yeah, yeah, I'm here. Go ahead. Hi, Megan. How you doing? Hi. Do you know who this is? I come in there in the mornings and usually wait on me. Oh, you. Oh, that guy. Jackson, you got to be a little bit more specific. You got to be a little bit more specific.
Well, we've exchanged names, but maybe you don't remember my name. I come in and I normally, we talk about reality shows. Oh, wait, you order a tall vanilla frappuccino? Oh, no. I just got a head run. He does not, Megan. He orders a skinny latte. Yeah, I order a skinny latte. Do you like the music swallow or something? Who orders the frap? We talked about American Idol this morning. Tell her again. We talked about American Idol? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Tell me. Oh, hi, dude. How you doing? I'm good. I'm good. Oh, this is great. I feel like I'm freezing cold right now. I feel like I'm freezing cold. Why am I sweating then? I feel like I'm freezing cold. Oh, my God. Okay, everyone, please. Jackson, confidence. No, no, no. I think I'll make this movie comfortable as if somebody passes gas.
Don't think into it. From the time I started coming in, I've always thought you were really sweet and really nice and really attractive. And you just seem like you've got a great personality. And, you know, I'd kind of like to get to know you better. And I was calling to see if possibly we could maybe go out on a date sometime. Oh, my God. That is so sweet. You know, honestly, I kind of have like a policy that I don't date people that come into my job. Ah, that old policy. Maybe you could quit. No, but I think you're totally sweet and really cool. Let him down gently. To be honest, I think you're a little...
I think you're a little bit older than I am. Megan, he is 38. Oh, my God. He said that you are... Don't say what he said. Ask her. Don't say what he said? How old are you, Megan? 24. Oh, my God. That is different from 32. That is different from 32. That is different from 32. That is different from 32. You hopped up on caffeine or something. Holy moly. Jackson, you said that she was, you estimated her at 30. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. You thought she was older. Yes, a little bit older. Yeah, I thought she was a little older. Are you surprised? Yeah, 24. A little surprised. So, Megan, you're saying that 38 is... Does she have a work permit? Stop it. Maybe Jess could give her a right to work in his van. Please. In his van? Waiting for Chris Hansen to walk. She's an adult. When I asked her how old she was, I half expected her to hold her hands up and go, I'm this many. This has really gone bad.
Let me ask you, Megan, does your big wheel have a back seat? This is uplifting. She works at Starbucks and her mommy and daddy don't let her drink coffee. I just hope this isn't all too good to be true. It is. It really is. It is. Wow. Okay, well. You're going to need a new coffee spot, Jackson. Well, good thing there's a Starbucks on every corner. Well, listen, you two lovebirds. I'm sorry. that we did not make the connection that you thought. In all honesty, Jackson, I don't get the feeling that it's anything personal. It's just that she is younger than you expected. She is definitely younger. Totally. I mean, you're adorable. Oh, don't say it. Stop. Don't use the A word. Don't use the A word. You better get back to work. Please. Hey, Megan, thank you for coming on with us. And you guys will have a good laugh about this over.
Big Brother tomorrow or something. Skinny lattes. Totally. I'll give you a free skinny latte next to me. Make this stop, Mike. Make this stop. Thank you, Megan. Thank you. Okay, bye. Bye. All right. Jackson, don't be upset, man. Listen. You didn't know. You didn't know how old she was. And we didn't either. And, bro, you took a chance. You took a chance, bro. That's the best you could do. Just got to throw it out there, man. You got to throw it out there. Cool, dude. I respect that. Thank you very much, Jackson. I'm sorry, man. I'm sorry it didn't work out. Oh, my goodness. That's his heart. Welcome to the most memorable rose ceremony yet. I mean, I listen six days a week. You guys are awesome. Appreciate it, bro. Thank you. So finding some tough spots on our freeways here this morning, you've got a busy ride out of the South Bay on the 805 northbound here. That's quite jammed up here from Plaza Boulevard.
Up to a stalled car clearing just before the 15 connector there. That's what's jamming things up there. Getting past that, you're free for a bit until you get to Kearney Mesa. Then it hits you again, approaching the 163. And then from there, it's a slow crawl over the 52 towards Governor Drive. West 94 looking pretty good. Just a minor delay in the downtown. Your West 8 ride also quite improved here. Just a bit of a slowdown past the queue in Transmission Center Road. So westbound 52, a few brake lights up past Santo Road to the 15. Heavier still, though, underneath the 805 through San Clemente Canyon, heading toward the 5 freeway. The south 15 ride coming out of Escondido was starting to look better. Just a brief slowdown there fell a seat at the Via Rancho. Still bunching up again, though, through Rancho Bernardo, off and on through Carmel Mountain Ranch. And you're going to find a backup still coming off the 15 westbound on the 56 through Rancho Penasquitos. An earlier accident past Black Mountain Road to cause for that. More slow traffic through Carmel Valley to the 5. And as you head south, excuse me, well, that's better. South in the five still backed up quite heavily in single digits, though, from Lucadia Boulevard, just crawling on down to an accident near Dancinitas, continuing past that to a stalled car in middle lanes near the racetrack in Del Mar. I'm McLaurin on Rock 105.3. U.S. Border Patrol is hiring, and you can get in on this. Now, I'm telling you, man, this opportunity didn't happen a lot. And I met these guys. I talked to these guys.
They were back in our office and I was asking them real questions because, like I said, man, I don't want to do these things unless I feel good about it. I'm talking about gambling. I can't bet like most people. When I gambled and lost, I kept gambling. I loved the action and I thought I could win it all back. Nobody could tell I had a problem. I wouldn't believe it. For a while, it was easy to hide. In the end, I lost more than money. I lost myself. I lied. Lost my job. I hurt everyone who cared about me. I almost shot someone in the face one time. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. What are you doing?
That's what I think of now every time I hear this song. Welcome back to the show. It is 8. That's not what he looks like when he's sick. He does not do that, dude. It is 8.39. Cameron Diaz's dad died suddenly yesterday morning after being diagnosed with pneumonia. A little bit of a surprise. Tiger Woods had to have knee surgery. He's going to miss four to six weeks. What happens if you're on the tour and you're trying to like... He only plays whenever he wants to play anyway, so it doesn't really matter. It's just that the U.S. Open, which will be here in Torrey Pines, is going to be in June. So hopefully he'll be back and be able to play in that. Mikey, this secret crush is a train wreck. That one was. No question about it. I feel so sorry for Jackson for being such a tool. Signed P1. That's a bummer, man. He was a man who was following his heart.
There's nothing wrong with that. That's true. We've all been through that. Yes. You know, you see a girl, see a guy working on the counter, you think he's cute. Maybe misinterpret a little. But we don't ever do that. Some of us like me, maybe more times than others. I don't think you went as far as calling a radio station. No, I just, I made the girl a CD and delivered it to her work, so. That's not true. No, of course it isn't. The next one says, Mikey, that was like a train wreck. I had to keep listening. Tell the story. What? What are you talking about? I made, when we were in Rochester, do you remember Catherine Lanney? No. No. You do not? She was very pretty. Where did she work? How did you know her? I can't tell this story. Yes, but you have to know. We're invested. I tell so many. I tell so many. Oh, come on. Check it out. This is a good one. I can already tell. We don't judge here. She was real pretty. Yeah, and you know how long I kept in contact with her? From Rochester all the way to San Luis Obispo. Really? Yeah. So, four years. What did she do? I don't remember. Just say what type of work in that old job. She worked at a record store in East Henrietta. You do? I'm telling you, you would remember. Did I know her? Yeah. Man, I'm getting old. So, what happened, Mike? The name sounds familiar. Well, we didn't go out.
But we really had a good friendship. Well, no, I mean, I want to hear the story leading up to the CD. Or was it a cassette back then? Did you not? I don't know. She's killing me. No, I thought that was fair. Skye. What's up? You heard what Jackson did, right? Yeah. Okay, then can we move on? Same. Rochester, I remember I asked out that girl that worked at the pizza box. Yes. She's a real cute girl. She turned me down. That is right. See? It happens. Go ahead. You're up. Well, what did she say when she... Well, first of all, I made a CD with music and I talked on it. Shut up. And she loved it. Let me tell you something. That's why we talked for many years. She never had anything like that. Like what kind of talk? I was funny. I was funny. Why didn't she go out with me? I was morbidly obese. Oh, right. You don't understand. I don't understand what kind of things you can say in between songs on a mixtape. I'm very nervous right now. Just want to let you know. This is a friendly place. I got an idea. Stop it, Rob. I'm just saying. Waiting for a star to fall was one of them. That's a good song. Waiting for a star to fall. Maybe Rob can put up the real thing. That's probably better. Eddie, now we're searching for it. Yeah, that one.
It's a good song. Play it. It's a good song. I'm sure Jackson is listening. This is helping Jackson know he's not alone. This was popular then. I'm sure it was. Talk it up. Talk it up. Hey, Catherine, how you doing? Hey, listen, I saw you there at the old record store, and I couldn't help but notice, you know, that you were probably waiting for your star to fall. Oh, shut up. That's not what you said. I don't remember what I said. You're better than that. You're adorable. No, I was funny. I was really funny. I'm sure you were. I was. I bet it was good. I bet it was cool. She loved it. She loved it. In fact, this is, listen, if I'm being honest, I'm being honest in the story. So I'll continue to be honest. She actually sought me out. Like I had, I would lose contact and she'd find me. Damn right.
She just didn't want to, you know, have our lips touch. But other than, you know, besides that. Yeah, that, dude, you do not remember Catherine Lanning? I don't know why. I know the name. The name's familiar. I had a picture of her. I had a picture of her. Because before I left, she gave me a picture. And she was going to college at some college in, like, Penfield. And the picture of her was a really cute picture. She was, like, in a dorm. and she had her feet up on a desk like this. Yeah, I do remember that. And she had her arms like this, and she was like smiling at the camera. Why don't you just take it out of your wallet and show it to us? I'm just saying. I'm sorry, too hard. My bad, my bad. I'm struggling to get this story out. What other songs? Do you have Breathe on there? I had King of Wishful Thinking. Oh, Go West. Go West. From Pretty Woman. King of Wishful Thinking was on there.
It was all popular songs at the time. I have been on the radio. I got some King of Wishful Thinking up. I've been on the radio now for... Oh, yeah. I've been on the radio for 20 years. This is the first time I've ever told this story. This is extraordinarily a hard story to tell. Really hard story. Not with this jam in the background. Come on, Mike. You guys promised me... I have a question. I'm not kidding. Promise me you'll never bring this up again. Please. I can't make that up. I cannot make that up. I have a question. That's awful. That's an awful thing. Wait, wait, wait. I don't remember the story. Did she know you before you gave her the CD? Listen, it's weird. Can we all just agree it's weird? Wait, I want to get to the bottom of it. That's a legitimate question. I want to get to the bottom of this. So you just saw this girl and you gave her the CD? Or did you know her a little bit and give her the CD? Were you a regular at the record store? I was a regular at the record store. I was Jackson. That's why I tried to warn Jackson. You guys would talk? Yes. That's not that weird. I'm alright with it. You're cool, man.
Yeah, you have to put it out there, man. Yes. Would you guys flirt? No. We talked. I maybe interpreted it as flirting. Okay, that was my question. If it would have worked out with her, you never would have met Pauly. It was not Pauly, Eddie. Oh, no. Pauly? Oh, no. Pauly? Sound it out, Eddie. Work it out. I don't know. Work it out, darling. What are you guys talking about? What is it? What is happening to your memory, Ginkoba? Lolly? Lolly. Lolly, yeah. Yeah, dude. You never would have met Polly if that didn't happen, all right? What's the matter with that? Come on, dude. Come on. Hey, so you gave a CD. Hey, Polly never even come around. Yeah, I still remember her name. See? Catherine Lanney. Wow. Rochester, New York, 1990. two or three? What was it called? Oh, I guarantee you she does. Really? Yeah. I know. I couldn't do it, you guys. Guys, I'm telling you, you know me. I try to be as transparent as possible on the radio. I don't think I could play that thing back. I would die.
If that audio was on, I would fall over and I'd die. It would be so embarrassing. It would be so embarrassing. This one says, dude, she sounded like a beating anyway. Didn't like the Starbucks girl. Mikey, that guy will never show his face in there again. That was awesome. He is going to switch. There's no doubt about it. He will not be able to go back to that Starbucks. It does. Let's see. What direction do we go in? That's so good. I know what we can do. Sean likes watching his TV. Whatever Sean likes, sounds good to me. Whatever Sean likes, well, you know that it might be not a gayer sound to watch by Mikey when he's watching. You know he's standing on TV. I told this story. That's a good one. I loved it. Eddie, you don't remember the record stop? And there was another girl that worked there. You don't remember the record stop, though, right?
I don't think I ever went there. There was a diner on the street. You know the street that the 7-Eleven was on that you walked to? Yes. That long street? I thought it was East Henrietta, but I may be wrong. Maybe I'm called something else. But it was on that street. And let's say we were driving from Rustic Village and we got to where the 7-Eleven was. The 7-Eleven was right here, right? Yeah. You go left down that street. And if you drove about a quarter of a mile, on the right-hand side was this record store. Yeah. You don't remember, though? I don't know that I ever went there. I think that was a secret thing you did. No. You want to hook up with chicks or something. Yeah, he didn't want you to steal his lady. Well, you know. Oh, my. I want to block him. Oh, my. So, we do a segment. It's called Sean TV. Yeah, shout a little big. And the thing is, is that Sean watches everything on TV. He watches it all. I like television, Mike. He does. And he likes shows that we have never heard of. Or would want to, normally. That is correct. That's not true. It's actually very true. Sorry, Sean. You wouldn't, but we would. And, Sean, what show are you going to showcase for us this week? Better not be an old one. Mike, you know, Matlock just came out. Don't. No, it's not Matlock. Cut to commercial. It's not Matlock. It better not be Matlock. I don't want to hear Matlock. I don't want to hear Matlock. Let's hear him out. Can I please? Absolutely.
So Matlock recently came out. Don't say you're going to play Matlock. Can I please? Sorry, Sean. Now, instead of playing Matlock clips. Thank you. Thank you, Sean. I thought maybe we could reach back a little bit and maybe do some Banachek. What is he talking about? It doesn't make any sense. It doesn't make any sense. He's played Banachek like four times. I don't want to hear Banachek anymore. I'm sick of it. Can I finish? No. Yeah, you're getting lazy, bro. I look forward to this segment every week to hear your new shows, bro. Yeah, me too. This is the third time you're doing Banachek? What the F? He's like, hey guys, I thought we'd revisit some Banachek. Yeah, Banachek. I haven't finished my sentence yet, asses. Go right ahead, Sean. You gotta see the camera right now. He's got his hands up in the air. It almost looks like he's flipping a pizza dough.
Yes, Sean. Calm down. You have the floor, sir. So I thought maybe we'd go back and do a little banishing. And then you thought. And then I thought. Thank you, Eddie. Uh-huh. And then I thought. Yeah. Why don't we do a newer show? Oh, good. Please. So you want to take back your ass in our commentary? And so what show? Murder, She Wrote. Yeah. Well, guys, it's called John and Marcus. You guys are great. Good one. It's a good show. Why? No. Come on, buddy. Sean, what'd you do? What show? What have we got, buddy? Mike, this week we're going to do Unbeatable Bonzake. Okay. What? Surprisingly, I've never heard of this. What the hell? Unbeatable Bonzake. What is that?
And what is it on? Kids, do not Google that at home. I don't. That is bad. Right now. I've heard of it. Sean has an expression on his face where the lips are puffed out. He's very slowly shaking his head as if to say, uh-huh, how you like me now? Take that. Come on, Bonza Gay. In your face. I don't think it's Bonza Gay. I don't think that's how I sound. It's a pay-per-view. Wow, that's weird. Sean, what is Bonze-K? Is this internet TV? No, it is not. Bonze-K is... Can I... Some people watch Lost. Ever hear that show? CSI. Sounds intriguing. It's crazy. Anyway. Oh, Bonze-K. Yeah. Nobody even watches it in Japan.
Please, Sean, stop rubbing your face. Oh, is it my turn now? Mike, Banzuke is a Japanese term for list of champions. List of champions. Yes, list of champions. So the show is a, it's kind of like an Oscar. Oh, man. He does not like it. He likes to get on the road. Fair question. He likes to just get it out there. Sean has a format. Sean has a format. He follows a format. He follows a format. Without being interrupted. I just want to know where it's on. Well, Eddie, he has a format. I don't care. Break the damn format. At the end of the segment, he tells us what channel and what time we can catch the program. I don't care. I want to know. He has like a catchphrase. If I could speak. I want to know. I'll see you there. I'll see you there. I'll see you there. Ashley has a question, though. Ash, did you have a question? Ash doesn't have a question. When and where can I catch this show? Fine, what is it? So, Mike, the show is called Unbeatable Banzuke. We've heard that. Banzuke is a Japanese term for list of champions. It's a show that is built on obstacle courses. And they bring in athletes.
And people who engage in specialty athletics. I see. Is this like MXC? Like what? MXC. What's that? It's kind of similar, but it's not like nobodies. These are world-class athletes that come in to complete. Like who? Really? Yeah. Yeah, really. Yeah, like who, Sean? Well, most of them are Japanese. Like Okunara Siwacha? Actually. The person that will be featured in this clip is Ariaco Arizona. Not nobody, Mike. Oh, Mike, you were way off. I imagine Sean watching this while sipping rice wine. He's a bronze medalist in curling. All right. I'm ready to hear the clip. You can watch it weeknights. No, no, no, no, no. We have the clip, please. So we'll go with it. The first clip is where they actually explain. This particular obstacle course. As you probably heard, this particular course is called Super Rider 3. We did not hear that. It's where people ride their BMX bikes
Or mountain bikes through a series of obstacle courses. I don't speak Japanese. In this particular, in the next clip, Mike. Don't even bother. I want to hear it. Ariaco Arizona is attempting to complete the course. Unfortunately, he only gets about halfway through. And then, and then, and then, and then, this happens. I don't know what he's saying. Yes. What just happened? I don't speak Japanese. Can you believe it? Ouch. Mike! The show is called Unbeatable Buns Game. You can catch it weeknights at 5.30 on G4 TV, baby. What the heck? Free television block approach. Join the P1 Text Army. Text Mikey to 35253. Standard rate supply. It's the P1 Text Army.

Ceremonies will be held all day today on the campus of Virginia Tech to mark the one-year anniversary of the shootings that killed 32 people. Chargers released their schedule yesterday. They got 5-3.
primetime games on their schedule. Hey, speaking of the Chargers, let's do this real quick. We met a guy that came out to our appearance at Joe's Crab Shack, and this guy is, you know, he went to architecture school, and he's a pretty talented guy. And he, I guess, as his, what would you call it, like his graduating project or something? We'll ask him exactly what it was, but as a project of his, He put together a scale model. Well, not a scale. Yeah, like a scaled down model of a new stadium for the Chargers. Wow. And he's bringing it in today. He said it's like fully designed and the whole deal. Let's see. I'm in touch with Dean Spanos. That's right. Come on in. Where's the model, dude? Oh, it's right there. It's on this board. Let me see. Wow, you're like professional and stuff. He's got these big placards. Wow. That's really nice. That's really nice. Now, dude, do you have a model? No, I have a 3D model, which I made all of this out of. Oh, okay. Yeah. Okay. And now, you gave this to the Chargers, right? Mark Fabiani. I'm going to have you sit down in front of that microphone so that we can hear you. So, you met with... Mark Fabiani is the... What is his official title? Eddie Vice President of the Chargers? No.
He is special counsel to Dean Spanos. So he's the concierge. Pretty much. There you go. Special counsel to the Spanos family. And so you actually met with Mark Fabiani? Yeah, I met him at Balboa Park the first time, and that's when I introduced myself. Right. And then from there, I sat through their board meeting when they were talking about the national city being the main site. And then we met up again at the Chilavista City Hall. And it's when Cooper, Robertson, and Warners, it's when they had their official unveiling of their design in Altai Mesa and in Chila Vista. Now, let me ask you. I'm looking at this thing right now, and it's pages and pages of color, maps, and designs of this new stadium. Did you put these pages together yourself? Yes. I did it as my thesis project for my master's in architecture. What did you get? So, get us in what? As a grade. It's mostly about what you get out of it, but I guess we got an A, but it doesn't matter. It's mostly of what you get out of the project and the site analysis that you do and the design criteria that you have. You are a smart person. Check you out, bro. This is really, really incredible.
Diagrams, models of a brand new Charger Stadium that he designed. What did Mark Fabiani think of this? Well, at the time, the National City site was still a possibility, and there's where I put it. And he really liked the idea of me rerouting the trolley line to have public transportation to go there. And I did the whole infrastructure. All the roads are going to go to it, and I had to get it to code. Like legit, I guess. And I also added a lot of hotels and high rises around it to revitalize the Chilvista city because I put it in National City. Now, in terms of the actual stadium itself, which looks amazing, the stadium that you've designed looks amazing. And I think that the most impressive thing about it is, is that the actual outline of the stadium itself. is kind of like picture the St. Louis arches. You know how that starts on the ground and comes up to a point? It does it from both ends of the stadium and it forms not zigzag, but like just a smooth arc. And you can tell that the idea is that it's like lightning bolts. Right. Even though it's not like a zigzag lightning bolt, the architecture.
Definitely makes the person looking at it feel like that's lightning bolt. What a sense of pride, man. Well, it definitely makes it stand out from, you know, your run of the mill stadiums. This is really, really, really an amazing thing, man. And he's got it in night views. Dude, how sweet is that night view with all the light coming out of the top in between, like, those lightning bolt things? Right, right. That's beautiful. I mean, just an incredible job on this thing, man. And, I mean, can you imagine if this were used? And what are the odds of that? What are the chances that this could actually be used as a stadium design? I don't know what the chances are, but what I like is being part of the team that designs it. the new stadium, and that would be the ideal situation. So you might be on the design team, I'm hoping. That would be awesome. This guy, did you notice? He's got solar panels. Oh, I love it. Go green. You're the best. Would these actually be used? Yeah, here's the thing that I want to talk to the most. When I talked to Mark Fibiani, he made a really important note that he wants the new era of stadiums, not the newest old era of stadiums.
There's three things that I really made to make the stadium a new era. If you guys notice, I incorporated a hotel within the structure. Whoa. Yeah, I saw that. So that way, even when there's an off-season, it can still be used, and people can still be around it and use the retail and use the parks and be able to use everything else. Uh-huh. Smart. And it would be nice to be able to have the stadium. And can you imagine how much it would cost to be able to have a room during a game? And how nice it would be to lie in bed and be watching a game. Oh, so actually the, like, window, your hotel room window, you could open the curtains and you're looking inside the stadium at the game. That's what's up. I'm sure that wouldn't be a fun party to have with your friends, right? So if you guys look at the rendering, the last one, you guys can see it on the right-hand side, on the last page. And the other one, I know Eddie brought up the solar panels. Well, that whole boat design you were talking about, Mikey, those arches, they'll have solar panels on them. And that way, with the calculations I made, they'll have like 27% to 30% of the energy used in the stadium will be utilized through the solar panels. That's amazing.
That's smart. That is so smart. I love it. And we are in San Diego, which we have, what, 99% of the year. Right. So that's really amazing. And, you know, I would love to share it with listeners. I don't know how you feel about it. Oh, I brought it electronically so we can put it on the website if you guys like. Oh, yeah, man. I would really love to have people. So we'll put that up as soon as we can. I think people would really enjoy looking at what one of our P1s is capable of. This was his master's. Thesis. Thesis project, yeah. Dude, it's just, it's so impressive and so amazing and I appreciate it, man. Thank you for coming by and here. Now, these are not for us, right? I gotta give this one. No, they're yours. This is us? I keep this? I'm in them for you guys. This is very cool, man. Dude, that's really, really awesome. Can I share one last thing about it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I know that Eddie will definitely love this and I'm sure all you guys would too. If you guys notice around the stadium, I put a lot of green spaces like parks. Uh-huh. And my biggest concept for the stadium is to be able to tailgate on a park and be able to have on one side you have the stadium and on the other side you have the water. Uh-huh. And you're able to have a picnic, a barbecue right on the grass as opposed to a hard pavement. That is awesome. I think that was the biggest concept that I tried to put. That's awesome. I love it, dude. All creative and stuff. That's right.
Great. Very well done. Well, good luck. I hope, you know, you have success and you get on the design team because it seems like you have a lot of awesome ideas. Yeah, man. And you're giving us something that we could put it on the website. You have some kind of... Yeah, I brought my thumb drive so you guys can draw everything in. Oh, nice. Can you do that, Seth? Can you do it from that computer or where do we have to do it? I can try, yeah. All right. Just plug it into the USB port. It should be all right. Yeah, okay. All right, cool. Thank you, man. I appreciate you coming in here. And we're going to have... We're going to move on, but I need Rob to come and help you grab this stuff because we've got a bunch of stuff we have to do. But do we have to give you back the drive today, or can you come pick it up again? I can come pick it up. Come back and pick it up. Let us keep it today, and we'll make sure that our promotion department gets this on the website because I want to get it on and let people see it. It's an amazing thing that you've done, and I really do appreciate it, man. It's very cool. I just wanted to thank you guys for the opportunity. You got it. Congrats on being smart. That's right. Right? I do my best. She says that to everybody. That's true. I know. You're smart. Eddie, you just mentioned Stephen Cooper, right? Was it Stephen Cooper you were talking about? Well, I did earlier, yeah. Stephen Cooper has been suspended for four games for a banned stimulant. Yep. How did this happen?
He says that he took a stimulant that apparently just got put on the banned list. Oh, no. And he didn't realize that it was on that list. You should check that list. Probably should check that list before you take anything. Yeah, maybe have it printed and put it on your fridge with a magnet. Yes. And he says that he was, and it was a what? Like he was taking, he said, I was taking a. Well, it's a stimulant, you know, it's, you know, for, you know, like. Different kind of... Like, what's a stimulant? Caffeine. Yeah, I know. He tested positive for... But I don't think he went to Starbucks, is what I'm saying. He tested positive for ephedra. Okay. You know, so it's... Yeah, it's, you know, I'm sure you take those supplements. Yes. And when you take those supplements, some of them will give you more energy to work out. And some of them, you know, build muscle mass. And this one sounds like it was an energy type of a thing. This is the thing that surprises me. I mean, if there was a list that came out today and I'm a football player, I'm like, I'm not taking anything, man. I'm working out and that's it. I'm not going to take anything. Are you kidding? Yeah, but that's easy to say when your body's not, you know. A machine. I mean, your muscles are torn down and they have to sometimes take some of that stuff to kind of. Okay, I got an idea then. I got an idea. I got it. I got it. Eddie's right. Okay, but how about this?
No football player in the NFL gets to buy their own stimulants. Okay, because the team says, maybe the team goes, listen, we're in a competitive situation. Eddie, right? These guys, they're working out. They have to be able to do this with their bodies. Their bodies are machines, blah, blah, blah. And so our trainer will now be assigning whatever. If you guys want something, you come to the trainer. The trainer will have an NFL mandated. Every week, a person from the NFL gives a list to the trainer. That way the guy, I mean, why are guys still walking into GNC? Right. Oh, yeah. In the National Football League? Like, how does it even happen? I don't know. It seems like the craziest thing in the world to me. That's crazy. It's really disappointing. But they're still doing it. Yep. John Hartley is the city council candidate that was masturbating and urinating outdoors. He was arrested for it. And he has just started sending out a mailer to people. Now, he is running for city council here in San Diego. And so, you know, as a part of running for city council, you need to campaign. You got to send out flyers. And so, Skye, what does his new flyer say? I can say that on the radio, right?
Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So, you know, he obviously states he's running for council and all the great stuff, why you should vote for him. And then he also goes on to explain the incident, saying that he merely. Wait, wait, wait. Let's do this. I'll tell you what he said. I am going to. He said I merely had to take a. And we're talking about number one. So he said I had to take a. Okay, got it. And that's in his... Rhymes with seek. Yeah, that's in his campaign mailer. And, you know, when asked about it... You got it, right, Ash? Seek? Seek. Rhymes with seek. He says, I merely had to take a... Oh, got it. Right. So he goes on to explain that... He put that on his mailer. Yes. Brilliant. On his campaign. Dude. He put that on his mailer. Wise choice of words. Yeah, so he said, you know, he's campaigning. So I understand there is not one person working on his campaign with him. Is that the deal? Not one single individual. We're all solo. What's up with that? You know what I mean? He's his own campaign manager. Well, they're all high school boys.
So, you know, this all went down in Kensington. So he said he was campaigning door to door and, you know, had to urinate. He is number one and he takes a number one. That's right. That's also his slogan. That is good. But he definitely does deny the masturbation charges. He says that he didn't do that at all. Right. And when the women who called the police when they saw this out in front of their house, they're upset that he's going around claiming that it was just him urinating and that he wasn't masturbating. And they say that's not true. That's a blatant lie. And they think he got off easy because basically he got a lesser charge. He pled no contest. to lewdness and instead of the indecent exposure offense was dropped and the lesser charge means he doesn't have to register as a sex offender. Wow. Yeah. So there's a huge difference between the two. So they're not very happy about that new campaign mailer he's sending out. You know, I'm really surprised that this story didn't make national news. Yeah. Right. I really am. Let's see. There's wildfires going on in Colorado. I didn't know that.
Yeah, there's like three separate ones. Thousands of acres have burned. Last time I checked, there have been three deaths reported. One was due to a plane that crashed while trying to fight the fires. But, you know, think good thoughts for the people in Colorado. We know how that feels. You guys know the show TRL on MTV? Of course. Did you know that they, I guess, on TRL, asked Ashley Simpson if she was pregnant? They asked her that like on the show. Because it's like the biggest rumor out there right now. And, you know, we don't report on gossip or rumor anymore. So we haven't talked about it. But this is the first time that she has directly been asked the question and given an answer. What did she say? She says, quote, I think it's inappropriate. It's an inappropriate question to ask any woman. Oh, that is a that is a brain sprain. Is it inappropriate to ask a woman if she's pregnant? Like if is it maybe? I mean. Is it inappropriate if I walk up to a woman in the halls here at Clear Channel and say, hey, are you pregnant? That does seem a little strange to me. That does seem a little weird. That's not the same thing. No, if you were to be, so-and-so told me you were pregnant, is that true? That seems weird, too. Oh, that's it? Yeah, if I walk up to, hang on a minute, if I walk up to a chick here in Clear Channel in the hallways, and I say to her, hey, so-and-so told me you were pregnant, is it true?
That's awkward and kind of strange. To me, it is. And if you guys don't think so, let's have you put a cell phone with you right now and go do it. Nobody wants to do that. That's weird. You're not Ashley Simpson and the rumor mags are totally talking about it. And this is your opportunity to clear the air. And that just makes it even more awkward. Hang on. I want to think about it from that point of view. Put yourself an Ashley Simpson. I know what it is. I just figured it out. I just figured it out. I don't think it's inappropriate to ask Ashley Simpson. But I also agree with what Ashley Simpson said. But I don't think it's inappropriate to ask Ashley Simpson. Like what Ashley just said. I get that. Yeah. I get that. Like what Ashley just said, it makes sense. Maybe there was better ways of going about it. You know, you can maybe say, you know, there's a lot of rumors going around about you right now. Well, that's what they did. Oh, really? That is how they asked her. Oh, so they didn't go. Are you pregnant? No. They said, there's lots of rumors out there right now. We know you just got engaged. The rumors are saying that you're pregnant. Is that true? And her answer was, it's inappropriate to ask that question. Yeah, I don't think it's inappropriate to ask that question. Oh, Ashley. Out of the territory. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Welcome to being famous. But I do agree with her that if you're not famous, it's very inappropriate. Neither here nor there.
Well, what she said, there's nothing wrong with what she said. She's right, except for her, she's famous. But Ash, if somebody came up to you and said, hey, Ashley, I heard you're pregnant. Is that true? You would be peeved. You would rush right into that office and you would go, do you guys realize what so-and-so just said to me? And we'd be like, what? Even if she was pregnant? I don't even think I'd care. Well, what does she look like? Oh, Ash, if some person came up to you and said, I heard, hey, Ashley, what's going on? Like, let's say you don't even know them. And I was pregnant. And I didn't want anyone to know yet. I'm not saying that you're pregnant. I'm saying today, you're out in the hallway. Somebody walks up to you that works at Clear Channel and says, hey, you're Ashley, right? Yeah. Hey, somebody told me you're pregnant. Is that true? You would be like, you son of a gun. But so then I would say. No, it's not true. Yeah, you would say that, but you would be upset. Okay, but Ashley Simpson's saying, I think that's an inappropriate question, which is, in fact, like...
You know, saying yes, practically, because all she had to say was, no, guys, that's a rumor. And I don't want to speak on behalf of Ashley, but I think most women get upset when that question is asked to them, not because they're trying to hide some secrets, but because that implies that they're overweight, that they're looking fat. In which, yes, they would be pissed. In which case, that doesn't apply to Ashley Simpson. That's not what's going on here. But if somebody walked up to you or to Ash and said that, that it would be, by definition, I think that would be inappropriate. If you guys said that Russell walked up to you and said, and you guys know Russell. He does it all the time. But if you guys said to me that Russell walked up, if Ashley came up to me and goes, dude, you know what just happened? What? Russell just walked up to me and said, hey, I heard you're pregnant. Is that true? I would think to myself, that is so inappropriate. I don't know. I mean, I guess what you're saying at face value, yeah, I agree with you. Yeah, and I agree with you that if somebody's, she's a celeb. It comes with the territory, and the rumors are out there. What are you going to do? Now, here's something you may have missed this morning on The Mikey Show. We're doing Secret Crush, which is where we have people write us on our website. You could do it, too. Just go to MikeyShow.com. You know, I'd kind of like to get to know you better, and I was calling to see if possibly we could maybe go out on a date sometime. I think you're totally sweet and really cool. I think you're a little bit older than I am. Megan, he is 38, and he said that you are... Don't say what he said. Ask her. Oh, my gosh. Don't say what he said. How old are you, Megan? 24. That is different from 32. That is different from 32. That is different from 32. That is different from 32. We all hopped up on caffeine or something. So, Megan, you're saying that 38 is... Does she have a work permit? Stop it.
The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. I really love the Mikey Show. I heard it. And the P1s are sassy today. Yeah. Love it. Mikey, unless a woman is obviously pregnant, a man should keep his mouth shut. I'm P1 Brit. Mikey, the next thing Ashley Simpson said was even more bizarre. She said, if I was pregnant, I would have already had it by now. What? That is strange. What does that mean? Make any sense. What does that mean? Because, like, when you're pregnant, you just have it when you want. Yeah, I would have decided that I wanted to have it in February. I didn't want it, so I don't have it. I don't have it. What are you talking about? What does that mean? Like, hello, I would have had it on my birthday. I don't get that. That's rad. I don't get that. Like, how rad is it? Like, if you're a baby, it's like your birthday, too. So I'm trying to wean myself off the eye drops. I'm glad. I didn't want to bring it up, but you do obviously have a problem.
Yeah, I mean, I knew I was starting to go to some support groups for eye drops. I'm glad you finally decided to seek help. I have an eye sponsor. Well, the thing is that my eyes have been extraordinarily dry now for about two or three weeks. I haven't been using the eye drops. And it was a real conscious decision based on the fact that I can't find the eye drops. That's why you're... Reason enough. That's why I haven't been... Crazy. Good for you. So I'm really trying to make a change. Glad you're taking a stand. By losing them. Yeah. That's good. Anyway. A lot of self-control. That's right. A lot of self-control and losing those drops and being too lazy to go buy more. You're the best. Anyway, you can text us at 35253. And if you want to read our blogs. Oh, now he's rubbing his eyes. Oh, because they play itch. They're so dry. Little eyes. So try. I just need one drop. No, just give me one drop. I'll pay you back. Gross. That is the grossest thing. I'm trying to help you. That is nasty. Love it when you get random. Random debate. If you had to be locked in one food restaurant for a week, which one would it be? Wow. Oh, gosh. Don't make me laugh.
Easy, Sean? Easy. Sean, that's easy? Very easy. For me, it is. Which one? Taco Bell, dude. Really? No way. Oh, man, a week? No problem. A week? I don't think so. Definitely. I mean, it wouldn't smell great after a couple days. Okay, first of all, I need to know what we can legally call a fast food place. That's a good question. Legally. What are you thinking? Can Panda Express be a fast food place by definition? Yeah, for sure. Well, I guess so. Of course. All right, I'm not going to select that one, but I just want to know. Anything that you can get the food fast is fast food. All right. But probably not a pizza joint, right? Pamplemousse doesn't take that long. No, because it takes like at least 15 minutes to cook pizza. Okay. Wait, so what isn't? Did you say Pamplemousse? Yeah, they do it real fast. No. All right, I select Pamper Moose. Why are you being difficult? You've got to make your own food, right? Yeah, any place where you don't order off a board or where you do order, you know what I'm saying? You do well. We know what's up. Do you have to order off a board? We're not idiots. In other words, a place cannot have a menu that folds in any way. Is that correct? Yeah, you can't sit down and order to a waitress. You can't have a menu that you, you know what I'm saying? I got it. That taco shop we go to.
That would be mine. What's it called? Super Sergio's. Yeah, right. What's the problem? Every meal. No variety. I got a question about this debate. There's a ton of variety. We're locked in there, so are we cooking the food? No, no, no. There's a cook in there. We have to live there, and there are guys there making it. There's somebody there cooking. Making it. Oh, that's different. Oh, like you thought we were cooking our own stuff. I thought we were like locked in there and we had to like cook our food. Oh, like what do we know? We don't know how to cook. We don't know a fry machine from a fry machine. I work the grill. It's easy. Holy cow. The phones are blowing up on this. Now I need to reevaluate. I may go jack in the box. 5701053. That's not bad because there's a lot of stuff. Variety. Tons of variety. 5701053. Can I even get a salad? Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. They're real sweet, okay? I wouldn't, but... Hey, Mikey. Why don't you tell Ashley that I'd like to buy her some nice jalapeno poppers. Tell her if she would like some ranch. It's on me. Yeah, dude. You are so cool. Okay, dude. Thanks for ranch. Yeah, great. Thank you, sweetheart. Yeah, great. You know why? Because she's absolutely stunning. That's why. She is exquisite. Immaculate. Thank you. Thank you so much. Yeah.
No, that's Bauman. Bauman's the classy one. Bauman knows how to talk to a lady. Bauman is the one that knows how to talk to a lady. Woods only talks to pigs. Sorry, I get them confused. I got a little tobacco on my tongue. I hate filters, man. Get that pig out of here, dude. I don't want to talk to her. Let's see. 5701053. Our text number is 35253. I want to know what Skye wants. Whatever it is, I think I'd like to. She's weird, though. I know, but she'll make a practical choice. A weak Skye. Yeah. We already locked the door.
Your wife would go in and out. We already locked the doors. This is your show. You can change your mind. Yeah, she says I can change my mind. No, we locked the doors, dude. I'm locked in there? Yeah, why are you so strict, man? You can't just throw out a super Sergio willy-nilly. Okay, next week I'm going to stay at a different place. Okay, where are you staying next week? Next week I'm going to stay at Tom's number whatever. Because they got that. Dude, it's homemade. What is it? Oh, I know. It's homemade. Yeah, you're staying at number 22, I think. Yeah, Tom's number 22. Dude, have you ever been to Tom's, Eddie? Never heard of it? Never even heard of it. Never heard of it. Never heard of it. Never heard of it. Tom's, it is this, it's this little fast food place that has a drive-thru, but they sell, like, Like, you can get a Salisbury steak or a carne asada burrito. Oh, come on. Yeah, and it's good food. A great hamburger. Good. Or a chimichanga. Good. Chimichanga. Yeah, give me one of them chimichangas there. Oh, randomly? By the way, I don't know why I'm telling you this now, but I saw that falafel place you like in San Jose on the Food Network. I did too. Isn't that crazy? Yeah, man. Falafel drive-in? Yeah. Falafel drive-in. Yeah, I saw that old Guy Fieri you went there. Yep. Jerk.
Nobody likes Guy Fieri. No. He's a punk. It makes me feel, when I used to eat it, it tasted great, made me feel nauseous every time I ate it. Really? Yeah. I really regret, you took me there one time with Gary. Oh, yeah, Gary. And I didn't want to try the falafel thing. And I got like a burger. What's the matter, Eddie? You're not much of a falafel guy? And I really regret that now because I like to try new foods. And I really, it looked really good. Oh, dude. It is. It's good. It's fast food. This guy never ate there, right? Oh, dude, you couldn't pay her enough money to put a falafel in that mouth. No way. Thank you. What? Some big old hunk of meat. No, it is not. You're thinking of a gyro. A gyro. A gyro. A gyro. Yes, that is what I'm thinking of. No, this is much better, Sky. This is deep fried chickpeas.
You can't say how dare you if you haven't tried it. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. It's like you just slapped her face. Ash, you'd love it. I don't get it. Oh, Ash, you would love it. It looked crazy good. It's really good. Deep fried chickpeas? Not just deep fried chickpeas. They take the chickpeas and they mash them up into a paste. Okay, and then what? Then they roll them into little balls and deep fry them. And then they stick them in between pita bread. With like the special sauce and tomatoes and lettuce. So good, man. I'd be in. It's real good. Everybody's calling in. P1 Lazardi. Lazardi, you there? I guess not. P1 Dan. Yo, Mikey. Where would you stay? If it's legal, I'd say Panera Bread. That's a tough call. Well, I don't know that it's fast food. Panera Bread. It's a fast food. Yeah, you order at the counter. I think she'd have a drive-thru. Yeah, you order off the board. I might agree with Zed. No, that is fast food. I always think it's Pantera Bread every time I see it. I've never even heard of that. You haven't? That'd be cool. You would like it, Ash. You know why you would like it? Because every girl in the universe likes Panera Bread. And every guy's like, eh.
Never heard of that. You would love it, Ash. Sandwiches and salad. I bet. Rebecca's never had you guys go do one of your lunches at Panera? Uh-uh. She loves that, man. They're all over the place. Wow, I'm really out of the loop. It's pretty good. Eddie, you like it? It's pretty good. I mean, every once in a while. But it's not good. It's good. It's all right. Ladies and gentlemen, P1 Chodiso, the manager of Pinnacle Peak, is on the line. Oh, what's up, sir? What's up, Chodiso? Hey, what's up, guys? Man, it's got to be Rubio's, bro. If you're going to be in there for a whole week, I mean, they got beer. Couldn't do it every day. That is true. They got beer. So, I mean, this tacos and beer, that's pretty nice. Oh, man. For like a day. Maybe not for Mikey, because, you know, but everybody else. No way. Let's read some texts. Mikey, in and out. Signed P1 Lexi. No way. Rebecca, your wife. For her, it's easy call. In and out.
This one says, I agree with Sean and say Taco Bell. What are you going to eat there, Sean? Come on. Every day? Get so sick of it, bro. Dude, there's plenty of different things to eat. But it's the same thing. There's all kinds of tacos, burritos. You've got your nachos bel grande. You've got your Mexican pizza. They're all made with the same ingredients, though, Sean. Just in different varieties. Variations. Variations. I'll get it. Oh, this next text message is from somebody that doesn't have a tongue. It says, hey, Mikey, I would choose Submarina because of all the different subs and salads and soups. Oh, I see. That's not bad. Oh, I see. You lost your tongue. What are you doing? I see. I love Submarina. You have no taste buds is what you're saying. That place is good. No, I did not do that. ATC. Mikey, Chipotle by far. No. Since Starbucks is out of the question now, thanks to Jackson. Aw, come on. Leave Jackson alone. Poor guy. Next one says Carl's Jr. It's all about variety. P1 Louie. Louie, are you there? Yep, I'm right here. Go ahead. Wings and things, for sure. Wings and things? I've heard of it. I've never been to Wings and things. You've never been to Wings and things?
I apologize. I apologize. I apologize. I apologize. I apologize. I have never been there. Oh, no. Hey, dude. Eddie's never been there, Louie. Eddie's never been there either. You're from the East Coast. What's it? Hey, is that all they have is just chicken wings and that's it? And things. And they also got shrimp and they got like a bunch of little Like fries and potato poppers and a bunch of other stuff. Sounds delicious. There you go. Changed my mind. The third time I haven't made a decision yet. You did. No, no, no. Tom's number 42. I didn't make a decision yet. So I just did right now. What? It'd be Popeye's chicken. For a week. Oh, yeah, dude. Oh, this is delicious. Oh, yeah, yeah, the spicy chick. Forget about it. It's so good. Forget it. What's a P1? A P1 is someone that turns down their radio, they get to the point, they don't cuss, and they listen to The Mikey Show exclusively. That is correct. Home of the P1 Army. The Mikey Show. Grabbing their attention like a six-foot foul on a busy street corner. The AT&T Real Yellow Pages and YellowPages.com. You in? No one offers more ways for San Diego businesses to reach more customers than the AT&T Real Yellow Pages. You in?
Call 1-877-511-4483. It's KIOZ San Diego. And very wonderful to be here with you today. It is Wednesday, April 16th here at KIOZ San Diego. And thank you for listening. That's right. So. There you go. The last challenge between Eddie and Boston Rob was the video game challenge. Eddie hopes to redeem himself, and we're still trying to figure out what we're going to do. Who won that last one? I'm fine with that he won. Why does he have to do that? Why can't he just go, yeah, I won? Yeah, I won. Why can't he just go, yeah, I won? You know who won. What do you mean? I don't remember who won.
Get out of here with you. Get out of here. Hostile territory. Calm down, guy. The Eddie line is ringing. I'm going to answer it. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello, Eddie. Hello. Hello. Hello. Yeah, am I on the air here? Who is this? Dr. Wayne. I'm calling from here in the San Diego area, and I was listening to... Who is this? My name is Dr. Wayne. Dr. Wayne? Yeah, I'm a chiropractor here in the area, and I couldn't help but overhear your conversation that you guys were having right now. Overhear it while it's on the radio. I thought you guys were trying to keep it private. No, it was boring. But, no, I heard the conversation there about doing the challenges that you guys do. Yeah, that is correct. And I really liked watching online the last time you guys did the deal, although... I couldn't see the whole room, so I couldn't see everybody that was in the room, but I noticed Rob and Eddie and Zeth, and it was really nice to see you guys. Zeth wasn't in the room, actually. He was running the board. Oh, is he in the room now? Yes. Oh, yeah. That's cool. Well, we were there, too. I was there. Ashley was there. You didn't see us. That's right. You guys are some smoking hot chicks.
Well, thank you. That's sweet of you to say. You guys are definitely some hot babes with hooters and everything. Dr. Wayne, that's inappropriate. When I was in high school, they used to call me the hooter getter because I was unstoppable. That doesn't sound like it to me, but anyway. Anyway, the reason I was calling you guys is I was going to recommend the next challenge that you guys make. Oh, well, we need an idea. We haven't done one in a while. I was thinking maybe you guys could do some kind of a real guy thing, do like a muscle-off or something like that, you know? What is a muscle-off? It's like, hey, who's got the biggest muscles here without a shirt or something? Dr. Wayne, that's a little gay. No, no, no, no, no. You guys are thinking of it the wrong way. It's one of these deals where you just see who's more cut. I'm not going to do that. I'm constantly doing curls and all that stuff. No. You don't really sound like the hooter getter right now. No, no, no, no, no. You guys are thinking of it the wrong way. Hang on just a second. Yeah, honey, I'll be right there. It's my wife. Nobody even said anything. I mean, we could hear him. She's really forced. My wife is telling me we have to make love now. Oh, wow.
Anyway, by the way, I just wanted to re-wish Zoth a happy birthday. Why is that? It was his birthday a long time ago. When was Zoth's birthday? It was in March. Okay, hey, did you get that thing I sent? No, I didn't. All right, I sent you a robe. A robe? That's weird. I didn't ask for it. No, no, no. You know, I try to send all you guys presents when it's your birthday. I didn't get anything. I definitely did not get anything. Why don't you just put me on hold then and I'll talk to Rob and get his IM or whatever. That is so strange. No, no, no. I was just saying I don't want to get the, you know, when you're sending out presents to everybody, you don't want them to get lost and all that stuff. Are you a gay man? No, no, no. Hang on a second. Eddie. Okay. Honey, I'll be there to make love. Yeah, I don't mind. You're a fibber. I don't believe there's anybody there. Hey, guys, I got to go. My Playboy magazine just got here. Oh, really? That's weird. What is up with that guy? I don't get that. It just calls in like that. It's inappropriate. So, Eddie, you guys in on the muscle-off? No, we're not going to do that. We're not going to do that, actually. You sure? Muscle-off sounds kind of funny. Oh, well, back to the drawing board then.
Now look at this. It looks like Alicia Keys says that her comments to Blender magazine were misunderstood. We should get Blender on the phone and ask him if it's his magazine. It's not a surprise you screwed it up. No, no. First of all, rude. And second of all, it's Blender. Oh, Blender magazine. Yeah, like when you make a margarita. Got it, got it. I can't stop eating. Sean, don't buy one. So what is the deal? What is she saying? Well, like we reported yesterday, she did an interview, and in it she said that gangster rap was created by the government to get black people to kill each other. Right. We all agreed. And we were all like, yeah, and? Yeah, went on to talk about Tupac and Biggie and about how, you know, there was a plot to kill great black leaders and stuff like that. And it, you know, made big news because it was a pretty sensational thing to say. So a statement has been issued through her record company saying, quote, my comments about gangster rap were in no way trying to suggest that the government is responsible for creating the rap music. The point she was trying to make was the term was over-sloganized by some of the media causing reactions that were not always positive. Oh.
Please, come on. That clears it up. Yeah, and Blender Magazine has now issued a statement themselves saying we completely stand by our story and everything in the interview. And the Eddie line is ringing. Again? What the heck is going on? Hey, guys, it's Dr. Wayne calling in again. We just talked to you. Oh, yeah, yeah, no, no, no. It wasn't the Playboys after all. That was good. What was it? It was this girl I was hitting on in the neighborhood, and I was just saying hello, and she thought I was hitting on her because she knows all the girls like me. Well, I thought you were married. You said you were married. That's what I thought. I had to tell her, hey, listen, I'm married to a babe here. Oh, wow. So my beautiful babe would be real upset if she saw you here at the door trying to hit me and all that. But anyway, as I was walking back into the boudoir there, I was thinking about the different kind of things you guys do as challenges against each other. I came up with another one, and if you don't like it, you can throw it out. But I was wondering, what did you guys think about who could ride a mechanical bull longest?
Really creepy. What do you guys think about that? I think that's creepy. Kind of uncomfortable. I think you're being very homoerotic. No, no, no. The reason I said, you know, rodeo is a real popular thing here. A little bit, but I mean. And so, you know, ladies like the, you know, I just want to go out there and see all the ladies come out there and see you guys do rodeo stuff. No, I don't believe you. But you're married. Why do you want to go see all the ladies? Well, she's not listening right now, you know. Okay, my wife. The old lady. Hey, what would you guys think about a little volleyball Top Gun style? Well, we already did a volleyball challenge, and we had our shirts on. Why does it have to be Top Gun style? Right. Why can't it just be volleyball? No, no, no. I mean, you guys are getting me wrong here. I think you guys are taking Dr. Wayne the wrong way. I definitely didn't mean it to sound gay or anything like that. It's coming across that way. Hang on just a second here. Hey, honey, I'll be right there to make mad passionate love to you. Well, no, it's not. All right. We're not buying it, dude. Yeah. You should stop. Throw on the pumps and the bikini and the lingerie. Oh. The pumps, the bikini, and the lingerie. Have you ever seen a naked woman? What's that? Have you ever seen a naked woman? Hey, listen. They didn't call me Wayne Bazooms in college for nothing. Wayne Bazooms. Wayne Bazooms. Because when Wayne was around, then the...
Bazooms were in town. Really? That's what they used to say. That's what they would say. Anyway, what do you guys think about the cowboy thing? No, it's not going to happen. All right, well, anyway, thanks for calling, guys. Well, you called us. You called us. I got to get going. The keg just arrived, and I got to go plug in my Xbox 360. If you guys are interested in coming over and doing that at any time. Well, I don't know that any of us are interested. Well, it kind of sounds like fun. Maybe I'll go. Who's that? This guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Write me an email or something, and we'll try to figure that out. Hey, by the way, is that there? That's always there. Yeah, I'm here. But I want to play. Well, the only reason I was asking is I heard the other day he was, you know, looking for work and all that stuff. And we got a thing in the backyard that we got to have a fence built. But the only deal is it's out here in East County. So no shirts allowed. Why is there no shirts allowed in East County? Yeah.
Uh, gotta go. Oh, my pet house just got here. Pet house? Pet house? That was Dr. Wayne calling him. That is creepy. He does sound strange. I mean, none of it seems to make sense. I think you should just admit something. I don't know what. I'm a little thrown off by him. Well, Seth, you got a big fan. Yeah, and it sounds like he really wants you guys to do that mechanical bullfight. That's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. Who knows? That takes a lot of skill. Well, yeah. Looks like Deborah Gibson has filed for a restraining order. I didn't do it. Eddie. She went after me. She asked me out. She did ask me out. 200 yards, Eddie. I swear she asked me out. She did. She claims that never happened. Well, she's an idiot. Well, we talked to her.
She didn't remember, but maybe she just didn't remember it. She's embarrassed because I turned her down. That's right. That's embarrassing for a woman. You guys know that. I don't know. Mike, you remember she literally sang to Eddie from one of her songs, It Was Only In Your Dreams. She sang it live. That's right. Couldn't think of that when I was turning her down. Okay. Weird. So who did she file it against? Well, I guess there's this dude that's been following her all over the country for the last six years. He has showed up backstage at her shows, at hotels, sitting in the front row, and then just recently showed up at her home. Oh, that's not good. She called 911 and has now filed for a restraining order. Yeah, that's not good. Yeah. It looks like Elizabeth Hasselbeck got into it with... Joy Behar. Oh, I love it. I love it. Here we go. Let me tell you what happened. Joy Behar starts comparing the United States to Denmark. Cut 49. If they make up to $8,000 a year, they do not pay any taxes at all. Okay, that's one thing. The benefits include free health care for everybody. Okay? Free schooling up to graduate school, university, college, high school, graduate school, everything. So they never have to work, just keep studying. Right?
So that is the comparison. That's where she's making the comparison from Denmark to the United States. Now this gets Elizabeth Hasselbeck. As you know, Joy Behar is a liberal McLib. And Elizabeth Hasselbeck is a conservative McServe. Cut 48. So everybody move to Denmark and see how much you like it. Don't give me that argument. I'm just saying. Don't give me that argument. I heard in the 60s and the 70s, if you don't like it, you get your ass out. I don't appreciate it. People try to get into this country every single day. I think sometimes this country gets painted as a really bad place. And it's not. I'm giving you information. Why are you yelling? You could be done with your 50% in taxes. I'm screaming. Skye, what do you think about that? I think there's nothing wrong with talking about... The ways other countries run that are successful and positive and talking about why aren't we doing those things here? I don't think that makes you un-American and like you should leave the country. Why is that so offensive? Yeah, I don't understand why that is offensive. You know, I think that there is something to what you're saying. I think that where it goes wrong is where it starts to sound like or it could definitely be interpreted as.
We suck. They're great. Sometimes it gets that tenor. It gets that tone. But, like, why couldn't that be true in certain arenas? We're not saying we suck overall. But, yeah, if you compare our health care on a list to other health cares around the world, yeah, we kind of do suck. Yeah. And I don't think that makes me un-American to say it. But, you know, it's so ridiculous when I hear stuff like that and you look at we are the most powerful country in the world. Yeah. There's a reason why, and it's because we use most of our tax dollars on our defense and certain other things that we tend to use it for. If we decide we're not going to do that anymore and we're going to spend money in other areas... We're vulnerable to a lot of different stuff, and I don't want to be vulnerable to a lot of different stuff. And to me, I would like to try. I would like to take some money away from defense and the military and put it into other resources and see. And then what are you going to say if we get attacked again? Well, like you said, again, we've already been attacked with putting all the money into the military. So it's not like putting all that money is keeping us in some sort of bubble.
You know what I mean? So why don't we give it a try and slowly start taking a little money out and see what happens? That's what I thought. I think I changed my mind again, guys. I mean, what about Burger King? If I'm in the Burger King... Don't you remember any story about the interloper? You know what, Mike? No one said Wendy's, and that's what's up. That's what's up? Wendy's. Does anybody know who Jason Bege is? What? B-E-G-H-E. He's an actor and apparently used to be a Scientologist. And he's got this YouTube video going off about Scientology. Cut 27. My experience personally and what I've observed for myself is that Scientology is destructive and a ripoff. And that it's very, very dangerous for your spiritual, psychological, mental, emotional health and evolution.
I think it stunts your evolution. This is the weird thing about this video. It's a real viral video. People are talking about it. I've never heard of Jason Bege. Yeah, I think I'm on his IMDB right now. Lots and lots and lots and lots of TV work on big shows. Like what? Let me see. Kane, Numbers, Criminal Minds, Veronica, Mars, CSI. Queer Eye, American Dreams, JAG, The District, Judging Amy, CSI again. And I think he was in Thelma and Louise, The X-Files, Picket Fences, L.A. Law, Thelma and Louise. What did he play in Thelma and Louise? State Trooper. Thelma. Thelma. He played the car. Yeah. I recognize his picture. Oh, I know what I want to hear. I want to hear that nanny that worked for Rob Lowe. We haven't even got to that today. Dude, yeah. She was on the Today Show yesterday. His former nanny, she's suing him for sexual harassment. Now, Skye said that she's claiming that he tried to stick his hands in her pants. She alleges he exposed himself, inappropriately touched her, placed his hands inside her pants several times, and grabbed her buttocks without consent.
several times, the thing that I said to Skye that I thought was so strange about it, like, does he walk up to her and just be like, hey, hand down the pants. Yeah, hey, what's going on in there? Yeah, like, who, I don't get it. Good move. Cut 34. Classic. People who will be watching this now and Jessica would be wondering why, you know, if you worked for the Lowe's on and off for seven years and you were being abused during that period and harassed during that period, why did you keep coming back? Why didn't you contact the authorities at any time? You know, I love the children. I needed the job. I always thought it would get better, and I was scared. That's ridiculous. I don't believe it. Well, this all started because Rob Lowe filed a lawsuit against her claiming that she was spreading lies about him and trying to extort him and his wife for $1.5 million. So he did that, and then right after that, she filed her lawsuit and has now hired Gloria Allred as her attorney. Oh, good. Oh, boy. I don't believe you would continue. It's the truth. So we had a P1 come in the studio and show us his design that he had done of a new Charger Stadium, and you can see it at MikeyShow.com. Go to Keyword Stadium, and you can check it out. It's really, really cool. And we urge people to do it because it's really neat.
570-1053 is our phone number. Beginning and end of every show. Open phones. You can call in about anything you want. And so we'd love to hear from you. 570-1053. And yeah, whatever you want to talk about. What is today? Wednesday? Yes. Maybe we're flown through the week. Yeah, can you believe that Rob is having a barbecue on Saturday and only told us on Tuesday? That is really... Well, late on Tuesday, I mean, if we're... Not only late on Tuesday, but also made it very clear in the email. Yes. You don't have to come. You don't have to. You don't have to come. Guys, like seriously, you're making me feel bad. I'd prefer if you didn't. If you even for a second are thinking that you should not come here, don't come. Keith is over to die. I don't want you guys to. No, hey, guys. You know what? You can come or not come. Can I have it at your house, Mike? Thank you for saying that.
Mikey Show. Hello. Hey, Mikey. How's it going? It's P1 Rude Dog. What's up, Rude Dog? Hey, I heard you guys talking about birthdays. Is it already Sky's half birthday? No, that passed a long time ago. No, no, no. I meant it's in a few days. It's five days from today. It's five days from today. 17, 18, 19, 20, 21. I'm out on all of you. I meant six days. Especially you, Rude Dog, because you know what you're doing right now. Six days from today, bro. You know what you're doing. Okay. I just want to be the first one to wish you a happy half birthday. And if anybody was thinking about it, I know Cloverfield is being released on my half birthday, but Bunny Boo has already said that that's going to be his present to me, so nobody else get that. It's already taken. Eddie, so now you know. Don't get that for her. Don't get that for me. You got it. The Boo's already got it handled. No problem. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey, how's it going? Good. I got a legitimate question for what happened during that secret crash. Yes. I was wondering, do you think Jackson's ever heard the term statutory rape before? Oh, wow. She's 24. She's 24 years old for crying out loud. Please. A little much. Sorry, Jackson. We love you. Mikey show. Hello, Mikey. Yes, go ahead. Hey, dude, I love your characters. Well, thank you very much. What is he referring to? Thank you very much, but nobody does characters. I don't even know what you mean. Yeah, that's weird.
Okay, I'm just saying, I love Phil Henry. I'll leave it at that. Mikey Show, last call, bring us home. Hello? Hello? Yes, you're the last call. What up? Say what? Yeah, can you hear me? Yes. This is P1 Scotty. I'm actually just trying to find out if there's any chance I could take Ashley to Wendy's. Ash? No, thank you. What about the baked potatoes? Very short and to the point. Frosty. Ladies and gentlemen, the lovely and talented Missy is up next. And today she has the all-request lunch. So make sure you call in your request. And we'll see you tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show is out. Love your mouth.
