Was it really? What was that? I was trying to get audio from it. It was just like background. Welcome to the show, everybody. Welcome. It's a Mikey show on a Thursday. It's April 17th. It's 6.05. After people were upset that the city council voted to give themselves raises, two council members have now withdrawn their support for the plan. The Padres' strength turned into their weakness last night as the bullpen gave up seven runs in the ninth inning as the Rockies won 10-2. So, let's... introduce the show. There are seven people on the show. I'll tell you everybody's name, then we'll go around and we'll kind of let you know who we all are. We do that for the benefit of new listeners because we know they're coming in all the time. So there's seven people. It's myself, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston Rob, and Zeth. And we all range in age from 23 years old to 38 years old. And tell you a little about ourselves.
I heard something yesterday that was really upsetting to me. My wife told me that inside of our jacuzzi, they were doing some service to it, and they found that there is, in fact, mice living in it. Oh, no. Oh, no. I need to relax, too. Well, yeah, for our stay. Now, understand, not in the jacuzzi where the water is, you know, underneath. Well, that you know of. The housing. Stop. I'm just saying. So my wife wanted to know what I wanted to do. Yeah, you should probably get rid of it. I said... Give it to a friend or something. I said, I think we should move. No, come on. But, so that is the deal with that. That sucks, dude. I'm sorry. Yeah, well, we called the... The pest control company that we have. And they are sort of wanting to deal with it. They wanted to throw poison out. And Rebecca doesn't really want the poison because of Jake. Oh, good call. Which I said, you know, well, I don't know. You know, okay. But I don't really... We're always watching him. I don't really see him picking up poison pellets and shoving them in his mouth two, three at a time. But I understand. Is it like it's underneath the jacuzzi? Mm-hmm. Well, he's never going to get up.
That's what I thought. But I don't know where they're going to spread them. Maybe they would spread them on the outside. I don't know where they're going to put them. We didn't even discuss it. She just said, well, it's poison. She wasn't all militant about it. She just said, eh, I don't know how I feel about poison. I said, all right. I don't like the idea of my son eating poison. Or mice. Yeah. But I mean, I'm trying to like go, okay, well, what's the, what do I think will happen here? I don't know. So anyway, I don't like. mice. I don't like rodents. I'll come over and try to get them out for you. I'll come over for about an hour a day, just sit in there, and I'll wait it out. Sit in the jacuzzi? Wait it out. Yeah. It's a patience game, really, Mike. Yeah, but they're underneath. That thing's got a radio, right? Yes, it does, but the mice are underneath, though, Rob. So I just sit in there, and I wait for one of them, pop their head out, and then I grab them.
All right. Might take me about an hour a day, figuring maybe a couple weeks. Is that right? Yeah, but I do it for free. I'll think about that. No, that's very generous. Maybe just dinner. I don't know. I get these little blisters on the inside of my mouth, and I finally realized what it was yesterday, because it always happens at this time. It's when I'm not drinking enough water. Somebody told me that. You got to drink water. And then I drink water, and it goes away. I think it probably was Ashley. She probably said, you get those little things. Here's everything. Keep telling it. It's so good. I wrote an AIDS researcher yesterday. Oh, really? I said, listen, I know you probably tried it, but try it again. It's so good. What's your favorite kind of water, Ash? Do you have like a brand? Do you have a brand? For sure. For sure. My favorite water is Fiji water. Yeah. But then your wife introduced, she's a huge fan as well, of the water. Yeah. And she introduced me to Voss. That's real good stuff. She got it for me for Christmas. Yep. Did you like it? Voss water is by far my favorite water. It's real good. Hands down. Eddie is our producer, our sports guy. He's 35. And Eddie, how long do you keep your headphones? You know, we all wear the same kind.
Your computer you had forever. Yeah. So what's the shelf life on the headphones you use here on the air? I'm definitely approaching it right now. I don't know, probably three years? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah. What'd you have for dinner last night? I made homemade nachos. Yummy. Nice. Yeah. How'd you do it? This sounds good. I got some good tortilla chips. Put some shredded cheese on and put them in the oven. I made beans. I made ground beef with onion and sour cream and salsa. Then I piled them all on top of each other. What was the cheese? It was just like shredded cheese. And you melted it in the microwave? No. I put it on the chips and put it in the oven. Nice. Was it real good? It was okay. You don't seem that excited about it. Well, I kind of think that next time I do it, I would like a nacho cheese sauce.
Would you get like a Velveeta kind of deal? Probably. Because you don't get that cheesiness when you put them in the oven. It just kind of melts onto the chip. And you don't really get that nacho flavor. Skye is our news girl. She's 30. She's got the in-laws in town. Yeah, I'm tight. I didn't get a nap yesterday. When are they taking off? Friday. Tomorrow? Yes, tomorrow. I don't even know what day it is. Yes, tomorrow. Are they still going to Mexico? No. They're not going to Mexico. They do not have the proper identification. Well, you win, Sky. To be allowed back into the U.S. So today we're having a big barbecue at our house with about 14 people. And that'll start immediately. Yeah, I didn't know what time. I must have missed the email. What time do we get there? It's just family. It's just family members. So again, what time should we be there? Well, family. Now we're considered that.
Yeah. So what did you do yesterday? Yesterday just hung out with the in-laws. My poor father-in-law hasn't been feeling very well. So we had all these grand plans of going to the Wild Animal Park and then going out to Harrah's and none of it happened. So we just hung out around the house and sat in the backyard and went for a walk. That's the best, man. And then went out to dinner. So just chilling. There you go. Shawnee, oh boy, is our sound effects guy. He is 38 years of age. Eddie, yeah, what is that look? Eddie's got to look like I'm not. I'm going to tell you how I interpret the look. The look is like a very wry smile. His eyes are kind of squinted. He's looking at Skye. He's kind of shaking his head knowingly. And the look says, I don't know about you. But why? I don't know what I said to make him pause. That's what that look says. I know this woman really well.
And she's playing it off like right now, like, oh, shucks, we didn't get to do all these great things. I did not play it off like that. She's happy she didn't have to do any of that. Oh, of course. I'm not denying that. I'm stoked. I'd rather chill. I saw how you were playing. No, I mean, I feel bad for my father-in-law, but hey, for me, I'm cool. I'm cool. Yeah, I love it. Sitting in the backyard. Shawnee, oh boy, is 38. Aye. Ashley's our assistant producer. She is 24 years old. Hi. And she is a radio lover. She loves the industry of radio. That's very true. She does. Passionate for it. When did you discover that, Ash? How old were you? The second that my first day interning, I knew. Yeah? That was it. Before that, had you ever considered anything in radio? I was in school at SDSU when I was majoring in television, radio, and media, communications. So I knew I wanted to be something in the entertainment business. I always wanted to be in TV. And then it just fell into me getting into radio. There you go. Worked my way up that way. Austin Robb. He's 25 years old. He's getting married this year. He's not sure when. But it's definitely this year?
That's what he says. Yeah, why not? Okay. Sounds good. He's from Boston. He's got the word Boston tattooed on his throat. And then there is Roosevelt. Oh, Ropsling. Zethian Oates. Junior. Esquire. The third. Never heard of it. What's going on with you, Zeth? Not a whole lot. Oh, God. He had a little cocky throat there. Not a whole lot. Just a lot of smoking. Spent the day smoking yesterday, Mike. 570-1053 is our phone number. Beginning and end of every show, we do open phone segment. You can call about anything you want, cowboy. Anything. 570-1053 and text 35253. The deal with the text, by the way, if you have to be a member of the Mikey Show P1 Army, text army. So if you're not, just text the first time and you're in. That's it. It's like a registered thing. So if you type the word Mikey and send it to 35253, it'll get you all dialed in. And then from that point on, you'll be in the text army. You can text us all the time. And it's cool. It really is a fun way for people to be able to communicate with us. I did not see it.
But I know that last night on American Idol, it was Christy Lee Cook going home. It was time, Mike. You know how every year there's that one contestant that stays around way too long? Yeah. That's her. Yeah. She was not a very good singer. She shouldn't have been even in the top. Well, she was pretty, Mike, so. Is that the deal? I swear she was getting better. I swear she was. Really? I really felt like she finally started to improve the past couple weeks. I don't know her name. I don't know her name, but who is the girl that has the curly blonde hair? Brooke. Brooke, is she still in it? Yes. She was in the bottom, too, though. Uh-oh. I'm over her. I am. She's so sweet. Oh, she's so sweet. Oh, no. I'm over it. I'm over it. Mike, she does the thing where the judges will critique her, and she goes, oh, and she'll cut them off. Oh, yeah, no, you know what? I noticed that you said to you. I don't like that. Totally, Simon. And you know what? I appreciate you. Eddie says she doesn't do that. And I will work on that next time, and I'm so sorry. She's actually one of the more cool contestants. She's actually very genuine. And it's like, oh, no, you're so grateful. Oh, you don't know that you're bad. She likes the phony approach. Overhead. How do you think Mariah Carey sounded?
Was it lip-synced or was it live? I thought she was good, but, like, the song was really dumb. Really? Like, it was, you know, it reminded me of a country song where, you know, there was no, like, you know how country songs are really blatant, like what they're saying? Yeah. It was like that. It was just a really weird song. Let's listen. Cut eight. Singing bye-bye. Put your hands together for the one and only Mariah Carey. He starts singing already. Is she already singing? Yeah. I thought I was hearing backup singers, honestly, like I did. She's singing? Mm-hmm. It just trips me out because she's a good singer and everything, and this sounds like a good singer singing. It's just that when you hear Mariah Carey, you expect to hear, like, you know, your ears blown off or something. And this almost sounds like, you know, and here's another contestant on American Idol. Yeah.
Wow, Rob, you should be ashamed of yourself. You could do no wrong. No wrong, Mike. He's really into Mariah Carey, and this sounds, you know, like... Yeah, she's the best in the world. Wow. I don't know, man. All right, universe. Thank you. That's Mariah Carey singing Bye Bye last night. I understand my boy Elliot Yameen was a special guest last night. Oh, really? Yeah. What the heck, Yameen? Very sad, though. His, you know how his mom was there like throughout the whole competition and stuff? Yeah. I guess she died like two days ago. What? That's terrible. No, she didn't. Oh, dude, no way. And he was there still? He performed. Oh, my gosh. Cut five. You're singing free live. Ladies and gentlemen, Elliot Yameen. Oh. I like his voice. Thank you. Does he have a new album, did they say? Is that the deal? Why was he there? They didn't really say. He just came there to hang out. They've been bringing back a lot of the former contestants on Result Night. Yeah. Let's see. P1 Dirty, are you there?
Yeah, hello. You got a question, bro. What is it? Who would win in a fight? Either Jet Li or Jackie Chan. That's a good one. I think Jet Li is more serious. He's younger. Jackie Chan, he's too old and too comical. What do you think? I don't know. I'd have to go with Jet Li, too. Yeah. I don't know. I'd toss up. There you go. Yeah. All right. Thank you for the call. P1 James, are you there? Oh, my goodness. James, hi. Hey, what's up, man? Hey, how you doing? Good. Hey, listen, I'm going to Maui next week. This is a guy from Boston. I love this guy. He's a good kid. And I understand that's your favorite place in the world. In the world. If you could recommend one thing to do above and beyond everything else, what would it be? Eat. Tell him, Mike. Eat. I would recommend eating a lot. He means like an activity. Eat. Yeah, I'd eat. Like somewhere to go. Tell them, Mike. Go places and eat. Tell them about it. Mama's Fish House. Oh, what's up with that? Mama's Fish House. Mama's Fish House. I appreciate it. Yeah, you got it. Have a great day, guys. All right, see ya. It won't be hard to find. Just ask anybody while you're there. Like if you're staying at a hotel, just walk up to anybody that works at the hotel. Oh, yeah. Like a maid. Yeah.
And say, can you tell me about Mama's Fish House? Make reservations today if you're going next year. Wow. Because it's not easy to get it. It's not easy. It's not easy. That's what they say. A lot of things happen in the news, man. A lot of things going on. Like, you know how we were talking about the city council of San Diego wanted to give themselves a raise? And so Mayor Sanders said, well, if you guys vote that, I'm vetoing it. And so now they changed their minds. Yeah, well, they did vote for it, and then the mayor was like... okay, I'm going to veto this, but all they would need to do is vote a majority to override the veto. But once the news broke and the people of San Diego found out, you're going to be cutting jobs, but you're going to give yourself a raise. We're in a financial crisis. You're going to give yourself a raise. All of a sudden, the council members kind of changed their minds a little bit. Yeah, listen to what San Diegans were saying about it. Cut 48. Any pay raise for a city that's basically broke and has done as bad a job as they have is unconscionable.
Maybe a more modest raise would be appropriate. 5% max. What were they going for? I think it was about 24%. Oh, my goodness. If you're going to give yourself a raise, I mean, come on. Yeah, you might as well shoot for the moon. Their salaries would have gone from $75,000 to $93,000 a year. And they wanted to take the mayor's salary from $100,000 to $130,000 a year. Oh, wow. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Here's one of the city council people, cut 47. What you're seeing is people, including the mayor, demagoguing the issue. Because on the surface, it's a very easy issue to throw in on the wrong side. Everybody's against pay increase. But if you get the facts out and people understand why we're doing this and that we need to attract a larger pool of people to these positions, I think they'll appreciate what's going on here. Yeah, that's why I haven't run yet. It's just not enough money. Not enough money involved. Well, you really want people to be motivated to make San Diego better by lining their own pockets with a lot of money. That's how you really get the people who care. Those people care, Mike. Can you believe that? Idiot! So, Eddie, what happened to the bullpen last night, man? I don't know, man. You know, it was a close ballgame until the bullpen came in.
And they really just blew it. Clay Meredith has not looked good all year. He should add a Y to his name, probably. It's probably a good idea. Because right now it's just C-L-A. Yeah. And I don't think that's... What? Yeah, man. Clay Meredith, he spells it C-L-A. Is there like a thing over the A? I don't think so. That's a problem. Yeah. I think if he adds a Y. Is he lying or anything over the A? Nothing. So then how do you even know? You don't. A lot of, I mean, first couple years he was with a team there, you know, claw, claw. Claw, claw, claw. So that sucks. You know, the off-duty cop shooting at the mom's car, now they got pictures. I saw it. You did? Yeah. What does it look like? The car. Well, there was like three bullet holes in the windshield. Right. The windshield wasn't tinted. Remember that was his thing? No, they said the side windows were tinted. Yeah, but he shot in the windshield. Yeah, there were five bullet holes in the windshield, and then the fifth bullet, and then, wait. Oh, sorry, four in the windshield, and then the fifth bullet went into the side passenger window and shattered it.
Okay. Which did not appear to be tinted either. Which wasn't tinted either. And that's also what their lawyer is saying. Through these pictures, you can see that the heavily tinted windows that they claim weren't as heavily tinted as you would think. Like the back window, I think, was tinted. Is the black back window blown out? No. This doesn't make sense. Nothing of this thing makes sense. Nothing makes sense. Just the front windshield was shot, and then the passenger side where the little boy was sitting was shot. This story is shady, man. From both parts. Yes. I mean, they're both crazy. They're both nuts. And also, according to the lawyer, you know, and documented in the picture, the lawyer says there's no dents or damage to the car that would suggest that there was any side swiping going on. He said that there were scratches on the car, but they don't know when those scratches happened. Are you kidding me? No way. Yeah. Dude. So very interesting. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, everybody is asking right now, like, what are the cops? When are the cops going to release everything? Because I don't know that they've even released all of the information. No. No. Well, the police officer, the off-duty cop that was involved, he has not made any kind of statement. And he's on, like, leave. Really? Yeah. And so, you know, people are wondering what his side of the story is and all that stuff.
Oceanside Police Department's not saying anything. Just this lady and her lawyer are the only people that are talking. Yeah, and they want access to the Oceanside off-duty, I mean, to the off-duty cop's car. They want access to that to see if there's scrapes that match and stuff. No, it did burnt up in a fiery mistake. And they still have not been allowed access. It fell off the quarry. Yes. Whoops. Thank goodness that NKOTB got back together or this last couple of weeks with this story would be overwhelming for me personally. Thank you much. Thank you much. Self-soothing. This really is. We've been together for a long time. See, this right here gives you hope. Yeah, I agree. She'll play this on Fridays. Yeah, I was thinking of replacing the channel with this. Who's saying just can't leave without you? Or do they share in the talking? Do you guys know? I don't want to answer all willy-nilly. That's Joey. That's definitely Joey. That's my boy. Little punk. Little kid. How dare you? Hey, listen to punk. Yeah, they're all punks. Teen when he sang the song. I'm listening to it. I thought he was seven. He was so young. Or female. I'm like, wait a minute. You're telling me that was a he? Yeah. 5701053 is our...
Phone number, and he can call us about anything you want to. You can talk about anything you want. Let's see. Ashton Kutcher, he says, the reason that he fell for Demi Moore was because she didn't need him, which makes sense to me. A lot of the chicks that he was probably dating were in their 20s, and they were at that stage where they were a little needy of him. And I think guys are kind of, they dig it when a chick gives them a little bit of a challenge, or they're not just going to take. their stuff, you know? That's exactly what he said. He did an interview with Details Magazine where he said, quote, to me, was the first person who would call me on my S. She didn't need me. She straight up didn't need me. She wanted me, but she didn't need me so she could put it on the line. I'd put it on the board. Yeah, you should put it on the board pretty much. That's what we've been advocating. P1 Dan? Hey. Hey, what's up? Hey, real quick about that shooting.
When all the windows except for the front window are tinted, it throws a shadow on the inside of the car, so it'll appear that when you're looking in the front window, it's really dark on the inside of the car. Is this a Bruder tape? No, the shooting connection side. Dude, I know, but you know what I'm saying? Like, people have seen it for themselves. I mean, if you're saying that, oh, no, the window really is heavily tinted. Eddie saw it. Sean saw it. I haven't seen it, but they're saying, like, dude. It's not as heavily tinted as people are making it out to be. The windshield isn't tinted. The side window wasn't heavily tinted, but it was tinted. And you can tell when you saw the footage, you could actually see the tint blowing through the bullet hole. And also the side windows are designed to blow out on impact. And the window was still held together and it was held together by the tint. And I'm not saying it wasn't heavily tinted. I'm not justifying the guy shooting or anything. I'm just saying. Well, the guy fired through the windshield. Well, yeah, but he could have been firing from an angle. Hey, Dan, if he fired through the windshield... Could have been firing from the moon. Like, okay. If he fired through the windshield, he can see through the windshield. The windshield's not tinted. Yeah, but that's what I'm saying. It's like, we don't have all the facts. All I'm saying is... No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm not going to let you out that easy. I'm not going to let you out that easy, Dan. The side window wasn't tinted, and it was. Okay, let's say that it was stone.
You couldn't see through it at all because it was made of stone. Let's say that, okay? I'm being serious. Let's pretend that the side window is made of stone. You can't see through it. How does that explain him firing through the windshield, which has no tint, and you can clearly see through? How does it? Why? All right, I'm going to try again. Speak up, Mike. We may be here for a while. I'm going to try again, Dan. No, I just didn't hear you that well. It's okay. It's okay. I understand. I understand. Let's say that those side windows are heavily, heavily tinted, okay? He can't see through them at all. It's chauffeur tint, okay? How does that explain him firing through the windshield, which is not tinted and you can clearly see through? He wasn't standing. This is what I think is interesting. As we listen to the story, Many of us, I think we want to be on the side of one or the other. Give input. And I'm going to tell you, I don't care one way or the other. I've just listened to the different facts and tried to figure out from the different facts.
The facts are goofy. The both of them look like nut balls. Yes. The both of them look like nuts. I mean, you cannot say that this off-duty cop sounds like a Boy Scout because he doesn't, Dan. I'm not saying he doesn't. Yeah, and that chick in that car, she don't sound like a Girl Scout. Well, and she probably positive for marijuana, and I think Matt or something else, too. I wonder what side he's on. Yeah, which side are you on, Dan? Well, I'm undecided because I... You're not. You're not. Clearly, clearly you are. You're not excited. You know which one you think did the right thing. No, he doesn't. I don't know, man. Listen, I think they both sound like a couple of goofy people. They both need to do some time for what happened. Hey, P1 Jammers, you there? Hey, Mikey, I just, last week you asked Mikey, you had given this woman some advice about how to deal with her ex-husband for some custody thing went with her daughter. I really listened to what you had to say, something about just that, not that situation, but what you said to her about taking the high road and really just with relationships in your life, really just kind of trying to mend them. And it's always better to do that than to be full of kind of hatred and that kind of a mentality. And I don't know what it was, but something really grabbed me. And there were two relationships.
in my life, one with my grandma. I haven't talked to her in two years over a really stupid family feud and one with a really old best friend. And it, I, I just had the most amazing week with my grandma. I called her and I just told her how, you know, how this is just, you know, life is so short and like both of my parents have passed away and she's just this, you know, she had always been this amazing force and there was just a really stupid family argument really about money. And, and I just, I said, you know, Grandma, I miss you and I want you in my life. And we spent the day together. I mean, we spent about 17 hours together yesterday. So awesome. I just wanted to say thanks because, you know, in life these days, we really don't have a lot of positive influences, I think, in the media and the world surrounding us. We have to make our own positivity and our own positive energy. And you guys are just such a great force for San Diego and everyone listening. You know, you have this really... great positive attitude your message is always of love and respect and you know san diego is really really lucky to have you guys on the radio every morning and you just you guys change lives and i hope that you realize that you're what you do makes a huge difference more than just laughter which is such a great addition to everyone's life but
You guys are just, you add something to people's lives. You are a blessing today, man. You're a blessing. That's really nice. It sounded like you're having a little crazy morning. I just wanted you to know that I listen to you guys every day. I drive from Temecula. I work in San Diego. And I will leave work two hours early sometimes to just make sure I can listen to you guys on the road. You're the best. You're the mom. You guys are the best. Every morning at this time. Call me at home. Yes. Thank you, Jammers. We appreciate that. It's really nice. Thank you. Bye, guys. Thanks. Hey, if you want to text us, it's 35253. If you want to read our blogs, just go to MikeyShow.com, type in the keyword blogs. Last night was another debate, and Hillary was apologizing about her sniper fire comment where she said she was under sniper fire when she went to Bosnia. Actually, she wasn't under sniper fire at all, and video proved that she wasn't under any sniper fire. On the show today, we're also doing something that we call, what is it? by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. We're looking at some tough spots on our freeways here this morning. The South 15 coming out of Escondido got messed up early on here from an accident near Villa Rancho Parkway that was blocking the fast lane for a time. It's been out of the way, but traffic is majorly backed up here from El Norte Parkway all the way through Escondido down to Villa Rancho. And now you're going to find some bunch of traffic again here through Carmel Mountain Ranch. The coaster rides looking fairly decent. South on 7 to 5, a little bit slowing down from Santa Fe Drive down towards Manchester. West 52, the 8 freeway into the city, 94, they're looking fine as well. Here in the South Bay, we do have a new accident. The one here in Northbound 5, make that, yeah, Northbound 5 before Plaza Boulevard, an earlier accident. They're actually putting it just before Harbor Drive now. That's got traffic heavily backed up on the fast lane involving a motorcycle here, so use caution on that North 5 out of the South Bay this morning. The 805 heading northbound is not too bad here. You've got a brief delay through National City up towards Imperial Avenue, and then again through North Park. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Hey, is this Todd? Yes. Todd wrote me an email. Tell everybody what you wrote me in the email. Mikey, I bought a Simmons Beautyrest Cunningham pillow top over at Sleep Train two weeks ago, and it was just an amazing experience.
The person gave me 10% off before he even knew I was in there for the Mikey show. And then I used the Ace card and said, oh, Mikey told me to come in, and I got an additional 10. So all in all, I saved 20% on the mattress. And I bought it at Mission Valley at 11 o'clock. They had it delivered and installed in Chula Vista by 2.30 on the same day. That's rad. And what's even more amazing, since it was a Cunningham pillow top, it was personally... personally delivered by Richie Cunningham and Patsy Weber. It was just an amazing experience. That's awesome. Hey, how do you like sleeping on it? It's amazing. I've never had any problems sleeping before, but with the new mattress, it's even better. It's completely amazing. I would recommend Sleep Train to all the P1s out there. And Richie Cunningham and Patsy Weber delivered it. Absolutely. You can definitely meet Richie and Potsy if you get the Cunningham pillow top. There you go. That's beautiful. Hey, dude, I appreciate it. Thank you for calling. Thanks, Mikey. We'll see you. Now back to the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I like all types of foods. I have no food allergies. Eddie. A little bit of a Star Wars fan. Yes. I've seen the original Star Wars.
Probably over 200 times. Sky. I'm very conservative on a daily basis when it comes to the wardrobe. Sean. I floss a minimum of three times a day. Boston Rock. It's a transient style that I've developed. And Ashley. I can't control my laughter. I laugh at everything. On Rock 105.3. To the show. It's a Mikey show at 6... 43. Lindsay Lowen's dad says that Lindsay is going to go with him to India to do missionary work. Lindsay's people say that's news to them. Our boy Chad Johnson tells the Bengals he wants to be traded before the draft. Our text number is 35253. So if you would like to text us. Ashley was just very confused by Eddie. She thought he was going to be mean and then he gave her a smile and a thumbs up. I read your blog. Oh, you did? I did. So you know how big of a fan I am. I know you guys are in a little bit of a blog war. You and Ashley are in a little bit of a blog war. What do you mean? Ash. I refuse to read it. So you can tell me I will not. You have not. I don't think you should. You have not seen it? No. Why are you saying that? He's been trying to get me to read it all morning, which just makes me even more. How has he been making you? First thing he said to me this morning. What did he say?
He's like, you should check out my blog today. You know? Because it's going to make us closer as fresh. He's saying that it's going to make us closer, and I don't even know what that means. It's not, Hatch. The recipe up there, like, we have a lot in common. Why are you saying that? What have you done? Ashley's recipes are great. They're great. Yesterday, her recipe was ice cream, and you put fruit in it, which I thought was fantastic. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Don't forget about ice cream. Hold the vote. I never thought about that. Yeah, Rob, it's crazy. It's crazy. And if you want, I prefer blueberries and blackberries. That's great. So I put up a recipe of my own. What is it, Eddie? You get a bowl and you put your favorite salsa in there and you use chips. What kind of chips? Genius. Chips of your choice? Chips of your choice. It's crazy. All right. It's not low fat, though, is it? Both of you guys just gave me an idea. I'm going to get a bowl, put cereal in it with fruit. What kind? What are you, a chef? Cat pending. What kind of fruit? Richard Simmons. You're crazy. You're an idiot. That's not, Ash, so you know, that's not all Eddie put on the line. Oh, it is. Oh, my gosh. He posted a picture. I put a picture of her dog. I always put pictures of her dog. I don't believe that. Eddie. We both like to put pictures of her dog. He's a little sleepy.
Should I read it right? No, no. No, Ash. I shouldn't read it. Okay, I'm not going to read it. John, did you read it? It is not Ash's. It's sweet, huh? I thought it was a cute picture. I'm not kidding. I love the recipe. I'm not kidding. Wait, wait, wait. Rob is going there. I want to hear Rob's reaction. Oh, my God. Okay. See the picture? I'm waiting. I'm reading. Read out loud. Read out loud. Read out loud. From the very beginning. Oh, oh. Okay. Blog Wars. Eddie strikes back. In case there's some of you who missed Ashley's blog yesterday, let me post her brilliant recipe. That is brutal. Read. Put two scoops of slow-churn dryers vanilla bean ice cream, half the fat, in a bowl, or any vanilla ice cream of your choice. Add any fruit of your choice. I like to add fresh blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries. It's a great combo. Genius. Or whatever you'd like. Peaches, kiwis, bananas.
More fruit, the better. Okay, and now it's Eddie. You should have done, like, writing in a bowl to something. Is she for real? Here's my recipe for you P1s. Get some chips. Put some of your favorite salsa in a bowl. Scoop up the salsa on your chip and enjoy. Brutal. I really like seeing pictures of a dog so much, I decided that's not a dog. What does it say? What does it say? What does it say under the dog? I'm offended by this. What does it say? I'm offended. What does it say? Oh, so cute. I can see why you love him so much. He looks tired, though. Anyway, Ashley, you're the best. Don't have a chain. I wouldn't look at that. Hey, listen. I'm offended.
Hey, listen. That is offensive. That is not Ashley's dog. And listen. For those of you that are sensitive, do not listen. Do not listen. Ashley's got tears in her eyes. Stop it now. Let's read some text. It's like decomposing. Listen. You've got to see Eddie right now. He's laughing so hard. His face is red. He looks like De Niro in the scene where he's laughing. Yeah, Eddie, I don't think he's tired. decomposing. She is not tired. I'm so sorry. I didn't know. Okay. Well, let's read some texts that we're getting. I win. 35253 is our text number. This one says, hey Mikey, with the mice in the spa and the cat urine on the closet wall, you might as well level the house and start them.
By the way, leave the cats in the house when you do it. That's signed P1 Zachary. I couldn't agree more. Good thought. Let's see. Mikey, I had a dream this morning that I found the CD that you made for the girl in Rochester in the 90s. This was true. It was an intense hunt. About 20 people scraping to find it in a huge pile. It was intense. That's hilarious. Should have put it in the mail in his dream. There you go. Mikey, that girl that called in right before you went to commercial said it all. You guys are the best. Love your show. Signed, P1 Wildchild. Very nice. Very nice. P1 Sergeant. Hey, Mikey. How you doing? What's going on, man? Hey, I'm the, I guess you could call me the founder of Mikey's Marines. Oh, cool. You guys didn't get your sneakers yet. I'm looking into all that. I'm going to actually see if I can get some more made for you. Just drop them off to you guys. But we got a new thing now. You know how the Marines have, like, our president, the secretary of defense and all that? Yeah, we do. Now, hang on, P1 Sergeant P. I got to explain to people because there's a lot of people listening that may not know what this is. P1 Sergeant P is in the Marines, and he started up this group of people called the Mikey's Marines, and they got bumper stickers and the whole deal, man. It's pretty cool. So, anyway, go ahead. What were you going to say?
All right, so what we're trying to do is we're going to name you our commander-in-chief. Nice. Also known as the president. There you go. We want to get you and your wife, the first lady, one of our shirts we're going to make. Oh, that's cool. But I need to know who you want as your vice president, who you want as your secretary of state, secretary of defense. Eddie is my vice president. Sky is my secretary of what? She's my secretary of state. She's my secretary of state, and Sean will be my secretary of defense. Okay. And Ashley is secretary of pretty. Rob is secretary of dirty. And Zeth is secretary of sleepy. Yes. Now, we're not going to make any shirts for Monica or nothing like that. No, you are not. There is no Monica Lewinsky in my cabinet, if that's what you meant. All right, so you want... All right, we'll make everybody's shirts. What we're going to do is we're going to try and have them made by this weekend. I'm a size small. Yeah, Ashley's a size small. Me too. X's are small if you have it. No, that's me. And if you're making me a dress or anything, I'm a size two. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What are you doing this weekend? What are you coming out to this weekend? We're going out to Qualcomm. We're not at Qualcomm this weekend.
Well, this weekend I got some family things that I got to do for a birthday party. One of my buddies works at Qualcomm. He's having a little tour out there. Okay. And then I got surgery this coming Wednesday. All right. What are you getting surgery on, bro? What's that? What are you getting surgery on? My testes, Mike. Probably shouldn't talk about that. Family show. Snip, snip, tuck, tuck. Exactly. They're going to be getting a bag of peas at Vaughn's later today. Hey, listen, we'll see you on May 10th when we do our Qualcomm thing, brother. We'll be there. Appreciate it, man. All right, Mikey, take care. I believe that Boston Rob put something in here for Sean. Text number 35253. I say we do this. I say we take a quick timeout. I still have not figured out my Mac computer. I can't figure out. And P1 Nerd will probably IM me. I can't figure out, like, on a PC. Here we go. Sorry, Sean. We'll get back to it. Don't worry. On a PC, when somebody sends you a document and you save it, you can open that document up and you can, like, mess with it and change it around and then press save and it saves your new changes. I'm finding out that on a Mac, you press save, it don't do anything. That's weird. It's weird. Like, I don't know what I'm doing.
Maybe it's set to read only or something like that. What does that mean? Ah, nerd alert. What's up? Tone Deaf Karaoke is next, so call us at 570-1053. All you got to do is figure out what Ashley is singing. Easy. This is the Mikey Show. Wow, if he says one more cool thing, he's in. This is the rock. And now, another reason to switch to GEICO. That's not good. That is different from 32. That is different from 32. That is different from 32. We all hopped up on caffeine or something. So, Megan, you're saying that 38 is... If you want to text us, text us at 35253. You guys know what the F is? or excuse me, the YFZ Ranch is. It's that compound out in Texas where all the, it's like the Mormon sect where they took all the kids. Well, they are all doing all the women there, and they dress like, I don't even know how to describe those dresses. Yeah, like homemade dresses, like back in the day from the...
Prairie with no makeup and their hair pulled back and like braided. Dude, it's total like Little House on the Prairie, the dresses, you know, no makeup, you know, like the old-fashioned glasses. We're going to get to Tone Deaf Karaoke here in just a second. And we got people lined up. You can call if you want to play Tone Deaf Karaoke 570-1053. But this YFZ Ranch, and I keep calling it the FYZ Ranch. FYI Ranch. The FYI Ranch. uh this is a this was from the today show yesterday and one of the mothers is asked about what age these girls in the church are allowed to get married cut 41 if you're talking about kids as young as 13 i've heard perhaps younger how are they capable of making that kind of a choice to become married to a man who might be 30 40 50 years old that is not true pause pause Pause. I wonder if she's hearing, if she has the IFB in her ear and like there's people talking and she doesn't know how to, you know what I'm saying? I don't know. Do you think no? Because that's how she's hearing Meredith Vieira ask the question in the first place, isn't it? Yeah. Because Meredith Vieira is in New York. She's sitting in Texas. And so you would assume that the way that she's hearing Meredith is by this little earpiece in her ear.
What we know is that a lot of times producers won't talk over that thing. And I wonder if this poor lady that is like, you know, in the Little House on the Prairie outfit, who barely knows what a... video camera or you know tv camera is i don't know i'm just saying that sounded so strange yeah but if you continue to listen i think she was more upset by the question yeah is it so she's just like reacting i think i think she doesn't like the question she doesn't want to answer the questions all right let's keep listening unpause that is not true which part is not true i'm sorry they're not that young well how young Is a child before they are allowed to get married? At what age can a child be married in the church? I have my children. And they mean a lot to me. And I know of no force, nothing like that. I have my children that I love and I teach best for them. And that's who I live with. And that's who I work with.
And that's what I know about. Does it make you nervous that she can't answer that question? Yes. It makes me nervous that this is America. This is going on in America. I mean, does it make you nervous that she cannot answer that question? A little bit. This is an attorney representing the families of the YFZ Ranch. Cut 42. Let me ask you, as their lawyer, at what age is a child allowed to be married in the church? Well, the reason that they're having trouble answering that question is there is no answer to that question. There is no rule. There is no limit. That's a question, a choice that's made by the individual family members and the people involved. And my information is that what you're talking about... Of course, 13-year-olds, that just isn't true. And other marriages are very rare. Most of these people are married as adults. That's the rule in the church. And we'll see what the CPS has to say about that. But they certainly can't take away all the children of all of the families on the basis of that kind of an allegation, which is really coming from outside the group, from enemies of the group.
Let's see tomorrow what the state really can show with regard to these parents and how they function as parents and what the environment is for these children. I have a question then, sir. My question is that if you're saying that children are not allowed to get married and that only adults get married in the church, that sounds pretty virtuous to me. Why would she have a problem saying that? Why wouldn't she say that? She didn't, though. She sounded nervous. And that's a good answer, what you just said, Mr. Attorney Esquire. Well, and if that's true, Mr. Attorney Esquire, because today they're having a hearing because right now the state of Texas has temporary custody of more than 400 children taken from this ranch. Yeah, because the state is trying to figure out if it's safe for these kids to go back to this ranch. Well, if that was true, some of these kids...
that are involved in this custody hearing, some of these minors are mothers themselves. What? So, like, them and their children are both custody of the state right now. So if you're a minor and you're a mother, how does that jive with what the attorney said? You know, the thing that I was wondering the other day, as I was thinking to myself, how do they know how old they are? Anybody there. I'm talking anybody there. How do they know how old they are? Oh, how does the state know how old they are? How does anybody know how old they are? I guess they ask them. Yeah. Yeah, so I bet what you have is you have a lot of I don't knows or you have a lot of 14-year-olds saying, I'm 18. You know what I mean? Because what I'm real, I mean, honestly, how do you know how old they are? There's no records. They're probably all born on that compound. There's no records. And you think that they're producing? No way. They're not producing birth certificates and stuff like that, you know. But according to the state, over 400 of them are minors. Yeah, I'm guessing they don't have any Texas state driver's licenses either. I wouldn't think so. No. Let's do this then.
Our very own Ashley was on the number one television show in America, American Idol. She was eliminated. Oh. But hey, which one of us can say that we were ever eliminated from American Idol? Exactly. Thank you, Mike. And so, Ashley is a singer. That's all we'll tell you. And what we do is we get you on the air here, we play you a clip of Ashley singing, and then you tell us what it is and you win a prize. Just like that. Yeah, it's kind of like, you know, it's real easy. Like when you're walking through the carnival and the guy goes, come over here. All you got to do is make three baskets. You get this gigantic. Yeah, but I never make the baskets. No, no, no, no, no. Come on over here. I'll even show you how easy it is. Yeah, but how come when I do it? Well, you know, just give it a shot, guy. Okay. Give me $100. There you go. P1 Stelios is on the line. Stelios, how are you? Good. How are you doing, Mike? I'm good. Have you ever heard tone deaf karaoke? Yeah. How old are you, man?
I'm 21. What do you do for a living? I'm a landscape supervisor. Look at that. So is Rob. That is pretty cool. All right, Stelios, I'm going to play you this clip. Let the entire thing play before you take your guess. Here we go. Should I hit the button? It was tough. Got a little easier? Yeah, no, it's easy. I got it at the end. P1 Stelios, can you give me a title or artist? That didn't get any easier than me. Oh, no. Oh, bummer. P1 Quimby is on the line. Hey, Quimby. Hey, Quimby. What? Hello, Quimby. Well, hello. How are you? I'm super. Fantastic. Come on, Quimby. Quimby, what we're going to do is I'm going to play you the same clip again, let the entire thing play, and then I want you to give me title or artist to win. Here we go. Fuck.
How are you enjoying the TV show Big Brother? I was elated last night. Oh, yeah, girl. Talk about it. I didn't watch. That girl, Natalie, just made me want to hurt myself. Quite literally, when she talked in that baby voice. I got a friend in Texas, and he is an extremely funny guy. And I do not watch Big Brother. My wife watches it. And so I kind of know a little bit of something, something. And my friend from Texas is just a smart A.
And he writes me an email yesterday. And there's nothing in the body of it. It's just the subject line. And it says, you remind me of Natalie. Wow. And I'm like, whatever, you jerk. Quimby, you win. Thank you. And Eddie, what is the prize today? We got Army of Two for Xbox 360. There it is. Hang on the line, Quimby. Abba-gooba. Abba-ba-ba. Thank you. Let's see. P1 Cocoa is on the line. Oh, Eddie. Where did Tanya from? There you go. Eddie, you guys remember last weekend? We remember, Eddie. We remember. We remember. What about last weekend? No, no, no, no. You don't deserve it. Eddie made a joke. You don't deserve it. What's your oven like when you turn it up to 450 degrees? It's hot. Really? It's real hot in there. Yeah? Hot cocoa. Hot cocoa. Bingo. It is hot.
Yeah, what's the sun like? Coco, I am going to play you a clip of Ashley singing. When it's done, you just tell me who sings it or what the song is, and you win, all right? Okay, perfect. Here we go. Sexy. Wow. That was sexy. Was that a song or someone dying? That was a song. That was a song. I have no idea. I'm sorry. Okay. That's clear what it was. That's fine if that's your decision. P1 Vanessa? Yes. I'm going to play that clip again. Do you have to? I know exactly. Do we have to? I've made the decision. I'm going to play that clip again. And I want you to give me a title or artist once it's done being played. Sultry. Oh, yeah.
Are you ready? No, thank you. P1 Vanessa, can you give me a title or artist on that? No, I really can't. That was the Black Crows. No, it was not. That's right. Magic, that's what happened. Just stunning. Just absolutely stunning. Let's do one more. P1 Mark, are you there? Mark? Oh, good. I'm here. How are you, Mark? No, I'm good. Mark, what do you do? I'm a producer at a software development company. Oh, nice. Just like Eddie. That's right. No, I don't. What? I don't. But your business card says producer. Of software development. Yep. That's what it says on there. It also says doctor. Yep. In my spare time. So, here we go. I'm going to play you a clip. When the clip is done being played, I just need title or artist for you to win. Here we go. You say you want to go for a spin. I'm not body good, but I'm going to lie.
P1 Mark, I just need a title or artist in order for you to win. I think the last part gave it away. I think that's Kiss. You are correct. She's in full makeup. That's right. Ashley recorded it in full makeup. Oh, look, she's spitting the blood. Lightly guitar on fire. Awesome. Wait a minute. Now she's swinging with a Jack Daniels guitar. That's the wrong band. That's the wrong band. He won Mark. Congratulations. You are a winner. All right. Hang on the line, please. Ladies and gentlemen, when we come back, a couple of things.
First of all, you're going to hear Hillary Clinton apologizing for lying about having sniper fire all around her when she got off that plane. I heard it was a misunderstanding. Well, maybe it was a misunderstanding. We'll hear her apologize about it. And then we're going to tell you about the next Eddie and B-Rob challenge. So we'll do that next. You can text us at 35253. Call us at 570-1053. All that is next. You are listening to The Mikey Show. Indeed you are. 105.3. Hey, check this out.

We're seeing some tougher spots on our freeways here this morning. You should come up out of the South Bay. Both the 5 and 805 northbound. Starting to jam up pretty good now at Chula Vista as you work your way up through National City on both these freeways. 8.05, you'll find that brief delay through North Park, and then heavier still, though, out of Kearney Mesa, heading up over to 52. West 94 on that King Freeway, a bit of a slowdown from Euclid Avenue to the 8.05, then a few more brake lights into downtown. Your West 8, also seeing some brake lights out of La Mesa now, from La Mesa Boulevard out to Lake Murray, and then you're back up to speed. West 52, that's getting to be jammed up as well from the 125, coming out of Santee to the top of the 7. Things have been rough from the get-go this morning out of Escondido from an accident in Escondido. It's been gone for some time, but South 15, just a slow crawl out of...
pretty much from El Norte Parkway all the way down to the Via Rancho. Reduced speeds again over Lake Hodges into Carmel Mountain Ranch. And you've got South Ponce of the Five struggling now from La Costa all the way down to Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. You know, I've been trying to tell you guys about the Hard Rock downtown in San Diego for a little while now, but it wasn't until I stayed there, stayed overnight there, that I realized that's probably the coolest place I've ever stayed in my entire life. I stayed in the Black Eyed Peas suite, which is what it is. You walk in there, and there's just tons of memorabilia from the Black Eyed Peas because they're part owners of the Hard Rock, and you can be too. You're like, wait a second. The Black Eyed Peas are part owners of the Hard Rock, and I can be in that same league? Yeah, and you know what? You'll be treated exactly the way they are. So if Fergie comes to town, she wants to stay in her suite, guess what? She'll be treated like a rock star. You are part owner of the Hard Rock. You own one of the suites. You're going to be treated just like Fergie is. So there are no special treatment other than, you know, exactly what they do for you. I mean, they give Fergie the exact same treatment that they will give every single owner of the Hard Rock suites. So it is pretty cool. It is probably the only way you'll be ever treated like a rock star unless you are a really good singer or guitarist,
Most people aren't. So this is the way to go about it. Or if you're really hot and were born to rich parents. Yeah, yeah. That's another way to get in. Definitely, definitely. So you got to check into it. This is the way to go. If you're looking for a cool investment and a very, very awesome opportunity, become one of the owners of Hard Rock downtown San Diego. Mikey Show. Where it's always fun to see what's on Sean TV. Mike, Banzuke is a Japanese term for list of champions. It's a show that is built on obstacle courses, and they bring in athletes. These are world-class athletes that come in to complete. Like who? Really? The person that will be featured in this clip is Ariyako Arizoma. I imagine Sean watching this while sipping rice wine. So we'll go with the first clip is where they actually explain this particular obstacle course. Back to the Mikey show. It is...
729. Christy Lee Cook was the one sent home last night on American Idol. The Padres bullpen just collapsed, giving up seven runs in the ninth inning as the Rockies won 10-2. Back to the show. Our text number here is 35253. So if you want to text us, just text it to that number. And we read your texts on the air. Some of them. We don't read all of them. We get a lot of them. Our phone number here is 5701053. I got a text that said, hey, Mikey, what was that verse on the Bible you were talking about rejection? You were talking about it a few weeks ago. Thanks, P1 No Name. It wasn't anything from the Bible. It was something that a friend of mine told me one time. And to be honest with you, I don't know where he got it. But let me tell you something. It was a life-changing thing I heard. And it was about rejection. In fact, he wrote it on the back of a business card.
And I have it in my wallet. And it is that rejection is God's ultimate and perfect plan for your protection. So if somebody is like, so let's say somebody broke up with you and you don't know why. That's happened to all of us where we get broken up with and we're like, oh man, we don't even know why. And we always think it's us. We always think, oh, well, something's wrong with me. You know, that dude must have more money than me or. That girl must be more pretty than me and he's dumping me because he wants to be with a prettier girl or she's dumping me because this dude has more money or he's better looking, something like that. Or maybe you are pursuing a friendship with someone and they're not interested and you feel rejected. If there's any kind of rejection, even a job application, you know, you're trying to get a job and you want that job so bad and you just, you want it and you just hope it happens.
And you don't get hired. They hired somebody else. Rejection is God's ultimate and perfect plan for your protection. It's a great way to think about it. So good. Yeah. Things that are so good. Opposite. Oh, yes. I kind of think of this as God's ultimate plan as well. That's right. I do not. I do not think that. For your fixing. Yeah. For healing. For healing. You are not a healer. I am a healer. You may be a doctor, but. Not either. Here's the deal. People write Eddie. They ask him for advice. And what he does is he gives it to you straight. He doesn't placate you, try to tell you what you want to hear. It's not about that. Sometimes you have to have a little pain before the healing sky. I don't want pain, though.
But that sometimes is what leads to the guilt. You have to have that. I just want somebody to break it to me softly and tell me something nice and kind of sugarcoat it a little bit. He'll never get that with me. There's no sugarcoating here. No, no. It's called tough love with Eddie. Okay. So this first letter says, Dear Eddie, I'm really freaking out right now. I borrowed my roommate's care and got into a car and got into a fender bender. I haven't said anything yet because it's barely noticeable. but I think he'll see it and know it was me. Do you have any advice for me on how to fix this problem without him freaking out? That's signed P1 Hitch from Carlsbad. Wow. Eddie? Dear Lord of the deans. So basically you're the worst person on earth and you want to know how to continue to be so. Oh, wow. Interesting. Interesting. I remember getting a similar email from Saddam Hussein. But I will try and give some advice here that is fair and just. Thank you. You're welcome, Skye. First thing you can do is next time your roommate is backing out, jump right into the car where the dent is and pretend like he hit you. Now, this is going to accomplish two goals. This is going to accomplish two goals, Skye. One, it will get you out of trouble and make him feel really sorry for you. And two, it will inflict pain upon you, which you deserve.
Now, if you are too big of a wimp to do that, then try this. Get him plastered this weekend. I'm talking Paula Abdul drunk. That's really bad. When he passes out, drag him out to his car and lay him in the front seat. And put some ketchup and human hair you pick up at the barbershop around the dent. Now, when he comes to, he's going to think he killed something and try and cover it up. Therefore... He will be doing something wrong, too. So you know what they say, Scott. Two wrongs usually make a right. Good day, sir. That is not the same. That is not the same. And there it is. That's not the same. Thank you. And no one should ever do that. Really well done. On behalf of the community, I'd like to say thank you to Eddie for that. You're welcome. That's advice, pal. Our next letter reads, Dear Eddie, My brother just started seeing a new woman.
He's 23 and she's 47. Holy. It's true. I do have a problem with her difference in age, but also she's the mother of one of his good friends. Wow. But that's not all. She's overweight and she barely speaks English. What the heck? Come on. She's from China. Not born in America. I don't get him at all. I'm not a racist. I just honestly think any relationship between them would be doomed because of all their differences. Eddie, how can I tell him what I think without pushing him right into her arms? Thanks, Oracle. Signed, P1 Tony from El Cajon. Eddie? Dear old time walk and rolls. The heart wants what the heart wants. Right, Sky? And if the heart wants chicken chow milf, then so be it. It sounds like your brother is one of those dudes that has to learn lessons on his own. And then again in an hour.
So my advice is to look at the positive. I like it, Eddie. What do you got, Eddie? There are lots of pluses to having a family member date a 47-year-old woman directly from China. Okay. Number one, hilarious driving stories. True. This is true. It's a stereotype. Number two, 50% off pedicures. Oh, wow. Again, stereotype. Number three, private chopsticks, chopstick lessons. That's true. Number four, all the bird's nest soup you can handle. I mean, it is a weird, weird thing, but if you want to, you know, go ahead. And finally, number five, a complete explanation of what's in the ancient Chinese secrets. Oh, wow. What a deal. It's all good stuff. Yeah. There it is. Okay. Again, on behalf of the community, Eddie just daintily put that email down. That was a good one. But Mike, he didn't help. Yeah, I said, look at the positives. But the question was, but the question was,
how does he talk to his brother about it? I don't care about that. And our final letter reads, Dear Eddie, I know you guys know what's up, so I wanted to see if you have any ideas for me. See, I'm 24, and my mom is all over me to move out. I don't want to, though, because I don't have to pay rent right now, and I get to save up for my own place. It just kind of makes me mad because with me living here, she doesn't have to hire a pool guy, a gardener, or a house sitter. She gets mad and says that all I'm doing all summer is swimming and having barbecues because that's what I did last summer. Well, if she's getting a free pool cleaner, should she really be complaining? And yeah, I swim and clean the pool.
Anyway, are you guys hiring right now so I can get her off my back? That's signed P1 Steve in Poway. Eddie? Dear Cannonball Son, are we hiring right now? For what? A pool guy? I mean, yeah, yeah, dude, we are, okay? Clear Channel just lost the pool guy for Channel 933. Ah, man, too bad because the Rock 105 Pool Guy job just got filled by Robin Zeff. Oh, yeah. That's actually true. Busy season's coming up, though, Pool Guy Steve. Tell you what, if KGB puts out an ad upon the Clear Channel Bulletin board looking for a guy who mows the lawn and cleans the pool, I'll be sure and shoot you an email. Oh, yeah, and the house sits. You also play bass or anything else useful to our staff.
You know, don't sell yourself short, Steve. I bet you make a mean French toast and drink all of Mom's Sunny Delight, too, don't you, big guy? Should I mention to management that you also take naps? Let's see. 24-year-old who throws a scoop of chlorine into his mom's pool in Poway, seeks an on-air position or anything else awesome. That's great. Hey, man, talk to me about the house-sitting thing. Maybe if every Clear Channel employee takes a camping trip this summer at the same time, you can keep the plants watered and feed the cats, you know? That would be great. The Clear Channel cats. Yeah. You're an idiot. Dude, get off the couch, okay?
You're probably leaving sand on it anyway. Pick up your room. You're 24. You shouldn't have a room. You're not grounded right now. Are you an adult or one of the stand-by-me kids? Corey Feldman thinks you need a job. Dude, Katie Couric thinks you can't handle the job you have right now. Jeez, my advice? Invent a sock drawer or a cookie stone or something like that. There you go. I know someone that did that. Sky, listen to that. Oh, there she is off in the distance. That's it? I think I can hear it coming up Claremont Mesa Boulevard. It's the sound of healing. You're welcome, San Diego. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. Miss Unwritten Law with the Vandals.

And the reason that I do is, well, I'm going to be honest about it. What got me there was Pedro. Really? I was thinking about it for a while, but meeting Pedro in person and just seeing how genuine and real he is. And he's one of these guys that he's just like you and me. He puts his pants on eight legs at a time, but he at the same time is also just a very, very genuine cricket. Yeah, he's very charismatic.
You know, he really knows how to talk to people, make you feel like you're one of his buds. Hey, listen, Skye can attest to this. He knows how to compliment a lady. Well, yeah. Had some moments. Yes. Me and Pedro, I'm not going to lie. I thought so, too. But they make me feel good about myself, so I don't really seem to lie. Well, you're very insecure. Well, that's true. He had eight hands all over her. And wow. Well, he is all hands. That's right. Literally. Literally is all hands. Well, he needs them all because he texts all the time because they're free. That's right. Well, if you can text message for free, you would wish you had eight arms. For sure. Wake up, Pedro. He's in this corner of the studio and he's still sleeping. Yes. He's down, actually. He's more accurate, Mike. He's going to try to cover it up. Sleep him alone. I'm very codependent. I was trying to pretend he's asleep, but we all know. He gets very angry when you wake him up. So, anyway, that's right. He went over to his house the other day, and right there in the kitchen, you know, he's got what all the Mexicans have. Rob is the music bed man. He's doing a great job. I know. Skye said during breaks, she's like, I love Rob's songs. I do. They're a very different mix. Yeah, I love them. Welcome back to the show. It is 7.49. A travel alert has been issued for northern Mexico due to turf wars among rival gangs. It's like having a dumb iPod. No. What? No. Just let this one play. We'll be back in five, folks. This text message says, hey, Eddie, I have a dilemma. My girlfriend doesn't listen. Can you give me advice? That's P1 Loverboy. Break up with her. Short and sweet, pal. This next one says, Mikey, I heard tough love with Eddie was coming on in the house, so I ran to my car to listen to the entire thing. Eddie, your love is great, and I think you're my hero. Thank you. I hear that a lot. It doesn't get old, though.
31 Christina. Ugly Kid Joe. Yes. 35253 is our text number. Still relevant today, right? Yo, absolutely. So I don't know if you've heard this story, but this is pretty interesting. This is from seconds ago on the Today Show. Okay, but first, there is nothing funny about one very nasty divorce. If you thought the Paul McCartney-Heather Mills split was bad, you haven't seen anything yet. As NBC's Mike Tahibi tells us, one scorned woman has taken her case public by putting it on YouTube. Okay. Hi, it's Trisha again. Like a lot of people going through divorce, British actress Trisha Walsh-Smith is tough on herself for not seeing it coming. I'm an idiot. I am the biggest effing idiot in the world. But she's even tougher on the spouse who's divorcing her. Broadway impresario Philip Smith, who's helped stage such hits as Chicago, Mamma Mia, and Gypsy. So this guy is like the owner of a bunch of something to do with Broadway, or what? Yeah, he's like a big wig on Broadway, so lots of skrill. Lots of dough. And he was married? He looks like you.
The crib keeper, and she's a supermodel. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This woman looks like she's at the oldest 40. Very beautiful, long blonde hair, and he is an older gentleman. He's still trying to throw me out of our apartment in 30 days for no reason. In her six-minute YouTube post, she conducts a tour of that posh Park Avenue apartment. displays her wedding album, and appeals to the public's voyeuristic impulses by discussing her prenuptial agreement. Now, what's a trip to is someone's filming it. Yeah, I was just thinking that. Yeah, who's filming it? She actually got a crew to get in there and do it. Is that the truth, Sean? Yeah, it's like a whole production crew. Oh, my. Wow. It does look pretty produced now that you say that. Yeah, it looks nice. Pension, half a million a year for the rest of my life. And I get her apartment in Florida. And several times, including during a call to her estranged husband's office. We're doing a video for YouTube. Discussing embarrassing details about the couple's intimate life. We're just talking about, you know, the fact that there's no sex life. Several divorce attorneys who've seen the YouTube post say there's little chance it'll lead to a big settlement from someone as sophisticated as Phil Smith, if that was the plan. I just believe she shot herself in the foot. But the tactic is new.
Most of us who've been through divorce, full disclosure, couldn't imagine seeing the details of what went wrong made public, let alone discussing them for an audience of millions on YouTube. Smith's attorney told NBC News his client will not respond in any public forum or fashion to a video other divorce experts say is poison for the woman who made it. It's a terrible mistake. What she seems to be doing is trying to litigate her case online. But the actress, who's appeared on stage and in films, ends her post on an upbeat note. I'm trying to be a warrior. Maybe I'll win. And suggests, in lieu of credits, that her YouTube show will go on, saying, stay tuned. For today, Mike Taibbi, NBC News, New York. Do you think that she's a happy lady? Wow. No. He looks crazy, man. Dude, that YouTube stuff, man. That's crazy. People can use that YouTube stuff to do anything. I said that we were going to do this. We got to tell you about the Eddie B. Rob Challenge. Oh, my God. Talk about it. The Eddie B. Rob Challenge. Now, we've done a ton of these. And, I mean, over the last...
I don't know, year and a half, I think we've been doing them, about a year, year and a half. At least. And Eddie has won all but just a couple. I'm on a losing streak. I'm not going to lie. I'm kind of angry about it. It's just the last one. I wouldn't really call one a streak. The one before that, I participated for you, so you can't really call that a streak. And what happened in that one? I lost for Eddie. But this last one was video games. And Boston Rob. One in a pretty big fashion. Oh, huge. Killed them, but whatever. But whatever. So, Eddie, this is what we were thinking. And when I say we, I mean me and the voices in my head. Nice. What would you guys think about doing, kind of combining a couple of ideas and doing them both on the same day? Now, if you don't like this idea, I got another idea. We'll move on to the next one.
But if you are okay with the first idea, we'll stick with the first idea. Okay. So my first idea is a combination of bocce ball and horseshoes. Whoa. So play both of them separately, right? Play both of them separately. We're not combining them. I thought he created a new game. No, no, no. Bocce shoes. This sounds like fun. No, no, no. It's not horseshoe ball. What we'll do is what I would like to do is have Jay. our promotion director, set up bocce ball and horseshoes, and we'll do them both in the same hour, and that will be the contest between you guys. Not only will I say yes to this, but I am thoroughly confident that I will destroy this shrimp because if I don't beat him by 50 points, I'll consider it a loss. I agree. I agree. I agree. Yeah. So, a little Summer Games action. I'm in. It looks like Eddie is in. What about you, Boston Rob? Throwing lawn darts, too. I don't care. Oh, wow. Oh, I would love to do lawn darts. Ashley has a question. Ashley, go ahead. For the listeners that don't know, what's bocce ball? I'll see. That's when Ashley doesn't know. Bocce ball is an Italian thing. Okay. And it's kind of like horseshoes in a way. Oh, that's my last name? Yeah, it is. Papani. Oh.
Oh, because Eddie, you're half Italian. It's very Italian. I actually play bocce ball quite a bit. How about you, Rob? Did you ever in your Irish upbringing get a little bocce ball in there? You know what? Me and my buddies actually did. We played a little bocce ball back in the back. It was homemade bocce ball. What of it? So, Rob, are you up for the challenge? You know it. You know it. I love when you laugh. Good. Rob, you're ready. I love that. I love it. I will record it for you, and you can make it a ringtone then. Perfect. Excellent. So, Rob, you're saying that you will do it. Duh. I love it. Oh, man. The Eddie line is ringing. Oh, no. Hey, guys. It's Dr. Wayne calling in. Hey, Dr. Wayne. Our new friend, Dr. Wayne. He's a very uncomfortable caller. It's Dr. Wayne calling in, and I just wanted to give you guys a call. You know, I'm a chiropractor here in the area. Yeah. Servicing young men and women. Just young men? Well, usually the younger people are the ones that are out there doing the athletics. And you tend to get a little subluxation going on. And so if you need to come in here and get a little adjustment, I would be happy to do that. As a matter of fact, I heard you guys talking about this challenge that you're going to be doing. And one thing that is very important is for you to be aligned.
Before you participate. I don't think we have any back problems. Rob, you don't have a back problem. That's just the thing. It's called proactivity. I don't think they're out of alignment, Dr. Wayne. That's the deal there, Sky, is that if they participate in this thing without proper alignment, they will throw themselves right out of whack. I mean, my back's kind of, like maybe I'll come see you. My back's been kind of. She loves massages and stuff like that. She's not participating. It's going to be Eddie and Seth. Thank you, though. It's not that you want to treat the guys, but not the girls. You know, if you guys want, I could go ahead and bring in my... I can bring in my table. I'll set it up. I'll demonstrate on Zeth how it's done. You seem very fascinated with Zeth. Well, I've written Zeth a couple of emails. That was uncomfortable, man. I don't appreciate that. Well, I don't know what you're saying you don't appreciate. It's just one person trying to be a mentor to another. Yesterday, you said you sent him a robe, which I think is strange. Did you get that robe yet, Zeth?
No, never got it. All right. Well, it was his birthday. I don't know what's so strange about a guy sending another guy a robot. Well, that in itself is strange. Well, and Dr. Wayne, I don't see why you are going out of your way to mentor Zeth. Zeth wants to be in radio, not in chiropractic. Okay. Well, what I'm saying is that if the radio thing falls through, then he'll always have chiropractic as a backup. He doesn't want to. I don't think he's asking for that. I said this the other day, but I don't know if you guys really have given it any thought, but I do think that it might be a good idea if you guys were trying to come up with these ideas. What should we do here for these challenges? Riding a mechanical bull really is a good challenge. Seeing who could stay on the mechanical bull the longest without a shirt was the winner. Wear a shirt if you want to. I'm just saying, you know, it's a lot more physically challenging if you don't have a shirt on. Right, Seth? I wouldn't wait. That doesn't do the...
Anyhow, if you guys want, Rob can just put me on hold. I'll get his MySpace while I am about it. What? You're not getting anyone's IM, dude. That's all I'm saying. Hey, make sure you guys get good and limber before you do that event because you could hurt yourself. You know that, right? That's smart to stretch out first. I don't disagree. And if Boston Rob needs anybody to spot him, then I'll just come over there and I'll give him a spot real quick and everything should be good. Spot for what? Sometimes when you fall over, you lose your balance or whatever. You need somebody to spot you or whatever. Hey, I'm just making a suggestion. You guys don't have to jump all over me or anything. Hang on a second. My wife's gone. Yeah, honey, I'll be there to make love in a minute. Oh, wow. You guys seem to make love a lot. That's all she ever wants to do. And, you know, she met me in college. I went by my name Chick Magnet back then. And so she just told me that. Chick Magnet. Okay. Just curious. Seth, you ever been checked for scoliosis? What the hell? I do a free consultation where I check people if they've got to. Well, you've talked about him slouching before. I worry about that. I have, but thank you. You have been checked for the scoliosis. Yeah, so I don't know. When's the last time? Like two weeks ago. Well, you know, they say you should do that every week. No. Every week? Hey, by the way, I was listening earlier, and I heard that Zef sounded a little scratchy there.
Is he sick? Because I could send over some cough drops. No, it's fine. You're not a doctor. I'm fine now. No, no, no, it's fine. If you just give me your home address there, Seth, I'll send over some. It's unnecessary. Hey, honeysuckle, let me, I'm going to, hang on a second, my wife. Honeysuckle. What? Honeysuckle? I'm going to go in there and I'm going to grab those firm buns that you have in there. It doesn't sound like you really. No, it's weird. Firm buns. Be in there in just a second there. Baby. Oh. You know, you never hear her. Are you guys still there? Yeah, we're here. I hope you couldn't overhear my conversation. It was very intimate. No, well, very one-sided. Yeah, you guys ever seen those crazy Girls Gone Wild videos? I just got 14 boxes of those things here. I'll tell you what, boobs are awesome, aren't they? Yes, they are. So, anyway, you know, I was listening to the show a couple weeks ago. You guys were talking about the idea of maybe putting in one of those cameras in the studio there.
And I thought that would be a good idea. You know what? I do chiropractic, but I also do Internet technology. So if you want, just send me over as that's I am. I'll get them all taken care of. I'll get that thing all straight down. I don't suggest that. If you guys want to do that. It's totally up to you, though. You don't have to do that. Home address will work or phone number or cell or anything like that will work, too. Or face page address, URL. Face page URL or Facebook. Seth, you get that Polaroid camera I sent over there last week? Polaroid camera? He was talking about how he likes photography. I just want to send him over. He's never said that he likes photography. Oh, that's right. That was Boston Rob that said that. No, he never said that either. Who said they were into photography? Somebody was into that. No one. Take some pictures sometimes. Oh, that's fine. I mean, if that doesn't want the Polaroid, you can just send it back or keep it or, you know, whichever. Whatever you want. Whatever you want. Just take a picture, you know, you or yourself or whatever. I got to go play my Xbox 360 now and throw back some beers with a Playboy magazine. So I'll talk to you guys a little bit later on. By the way, that alcohol is free. And I'll talk to you guys later on. And I'm Dr. Wayne. Oh, my gosh. Wow.
Sorry, Seth. That is a strange individual. Something's going on with that guy. It's so weird because he seems to have such an interest in Seth for whatever reason. Fascinating. Something's going on. A lot of people would think that he goes that way, but the deal is that we all know that he's straight. He says he's married. But I never hear the wife. You never hear her in the background or anything. Man, does he talk about her all the time. I don't know if you guys know this, but on May the 10th, we are doing the biggest thing. that we've done since the last time we did it. Talking about the P1 sticker strike at Qualcomm. This is going on Saturday, May the 10th. It's going to be from 10 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon, and this thing is going to be huge. Now, we're talking about a full live broadcast out there with all the DJs from Rock 105. All of us will be out there. Sean is flying in for this sucker. It's going to be gigantic. Now, we're going to be giving away the new Mikey Show P1 Army sticker. Which in and of itself is pretty awesome. If you want to see the new sticker design, just go to MikeyShow.com and it's keyword sticker. But we're putting all these on your car. Everybody that comes through is going to get, if you put the sticker on your car, you're going to get the $50 gift certificate towards a tattoo at Good Neighbor Tattoo. And a free car wash from Mossy Toyota.
Awesome. Now, for some strange reason, we had a woman that heard this and for whatever reason thought that tattoos were going to go to kids. They're not going to kids. Oh, they're not? No, no, no, no, no. In fact, in order to get... We're not going down to the preschool to hand out free tattoos? We are not. Maybe you guys aren't. No, we are not. And so the only way that you can get a tattoo in the state of California is by showing a legal adult... Identification. California driver's license. Must be 18 or older. Must be 18 or older in order to get said tattoo. Now, if somebody comes through and they would like to use the free car wash from Massey Toyota, you are more than welcome. But everybody that comes through gets both. You get the $50 gift certificate. Well, I don't think it's responsible to let a six-year-old get their car washed. Well, that's the deal. That's very true. That is the deal, Sky, is that this car wash is... probably going to be for somebody that's driving age, at least, so 16. You don't know that. I don't. I don't. But one lucky winner that comes out to the big sticker strike that we're going to be doing May the 10th at Qualcomm is going to win a Kawasaki 2008 Ninja 250R from House of Motorcycles. Not to mention, we're also going to be giving away $200,000 in cash and prizes. How about a $2,000, a $2,000?
$500 gift certificate from Audio Car towards audio video equipment. That's bananas. Season ticket. That is. How about season tickets to the 08 Charger season? How about a $1,000 gas card? Nuts. Features. How about a flat screen TV from Encinitas TV? More prizes to come. This is going to be huge. That is crazy. Our P1 sticker strike. Kiwis. That's right. Hey, the fruit of your choice, bro. So come on out and hang with us. It's going to be real good. Pineapple. 570-1053 is our phone number. We would like to talk to you. Random debate. Oh, whoa. Out of nowhere. Bam. Random debate. Coming up in the South Bay, plenty of traffic on both the 5 and 805 northbound as you come up in the National City out of Chula Vista. The 5 freeway, seeing more brake lights now into downtown. One more time into Mission Bay. 805 is very tough as well. Slowing out of Mission Valley up to the 163 from an accident clearing there. And then you've got a backup from Balboa heading up towards Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. West 8's been pretty tough here as well this morning, but it's starting to ease up a little bit. Now slow right around the 15 as you make that right-hand turn onto that freeway. Slowing again from the 805 into Mission Center Road. Then a watch for leftover slowing around an accident near Tanger Street in Hotel Circle. South Ponce out of the 15th, been a tough one all morning long. Still slow and go from El Norte Parkway through West Condito, down over here at Rancho Parkway. Slow again through Rancho Bernardo and now Carmel Mountain Ranch. The East 78 here, there's an accident near Nordall, which is backing up traffic through San Marcos, trying to get to that 15 freeway. And the coaster ride, South 5, that's still struggling out of La Costa all the way to Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Sarah, pull the microphone up. Yes, Mikey. You went to AIS? Yes, I did.
What did you think, that I was BSing you? No, I'm just what you call a procrastinator. You finally did it? Yeah. And? It was super easy. I was paying $188 before a month, and now I pay $63 a month. Yeah. For six months, it saved me $714. Yeah, very nice. So for a whole year, $1,400. Yeah. Think about all that. Now, see, instead of writing a check out every month, To an insurance company, you can spend the money on yourself. Yeah. Pretty nice, right? Yeah, that is nice. It is very nice. That MTV thing we were talking about the other day, we actually have the audio. I also want to do this email from a chick that said that, I don't want to give too much away, but she basically is seeing this new guy. And everything's awesome. Except for this one thing. Uh-oh. So we'll tell you about that coming up here in just a little bit. And before we went to break, I said,
If you could travel on one band's bus, who would it be and why? What do you think, Eddie? I thought long and hard about it. And I was thinking, well, what if maybe a rapper? They seem to have crazy times. But then I decided on Kid Rock. Kid Rock? Why Kid Rock? He's old school. He knows how to party. He would really do it up, I think, the right way. I think it would be a crazy time. He's got midgets running around. I mean, it's just good times. Sky. Well, I think this is not going to come as a surprise to anyone. No, of course. I mean, Eddie. Who else? That would be no fun. Who else? I would travel around the country with the Dave Matthews Band. The Dave Matthews Band. For a couple reasons. One, because... The Grateful Dead are already dead. Yes. Well, that's a good point, Eddie. Donkey Kong 2 is being serviced. One, because I could go to every show and, like, not be over it. You know what I mean? Yeah. I mean, I could see, you know, all summer long, I could see a show every day and still be into it and dancing and having fun and loving it. And then the other thing is because they're kind of... The best weed.
Well, that's a good point, Eddie. A couple of black guys. Well, I haven't seen his abs. But anyway. Wow. The violinist. He takes care of himself. By the way, Eddie and I would not be on that tour bus because they have a violinist. Absolutely. That guy rocks. But anyway. But the other thing is. The violinist rocks. Obviously, you don't get it. I don't know that those words have ever been said. Never. spoken by a woman ever um but the other thing is because they've been doing this like forever now you know they've been touring for so many years every so so it's not gonna be crazy i don't want the craziness like i want to enjoy shows see places and you know stay in a nice hotel and go to bed so i'm good with that wow yeah sweet Well, yeah, I don't want to be partying every night and throwing up. That's your only chance, man. I don't drink anymore, remember? After your birthday, I don't drink anymore. You're ridiculous. I don't. I thought they were partiers, though. Well, Dave does enjoy, you know, the booze. Cannabis? Oh. Yeah, well, he enjoys the booze, and I believe they also enjoy the cannabis. I heard all of them have glaucoma. Yes. But they're not thrashing hotel rooms, and there's not, you know.
strippers running around, as far as I know. Sean, who if you... Oh, can't wait. I mean, what... I cannot wait. What 80s band would reunite? Well, it would have to be that, right? I mean, it would have to be a reuniting. No, no, it wouldn't. No, he's getting angry already. No, it would not. You don't mean to offend. May he speak? Mike? Sean. I would like to travel with Depeche Mode. Oh, for goodness sake. Like, why? They're not broken up. Why would you travel with them? They wouldn't have to get back together. Why them? Well, because, first of all, I totally respect their music. And you can do each other's makeup. Dude, shut up. No, I won't. And I respect their artistic and their creativity. What does that have to do with touring on their bus? Well, I don't know. Maybe you have to hang out with them for a little bit. Play around in the bus? Maybe. Play around in the bus? Did he just say...
Play around in the bus? No, I said hang out in the bus. Okay, okay, okay. That sounds like a blast. Also, they're in demand around the world. So you would see every major site in the entire planet. Mike said just in the continental U.S. You're in a bus. So have fun in Raleigh. With Dave gone. It's gone, ass. Gone! That sounds so fun. That's a good pick, Sean. For those of you that have never heard it. I'd rather be on Dave Matthews. The violinist. Yeah, he rots. For those of you that have never heard it. Let me give people a little. Has anybody seen my Red Bull? I think I left it by my lipstick. My black lipstick.
Ashley, what about you? I think I know, but. This is tough. I'm very torn. Gwen or Fergie? Right. Oh, wow. I think both would be a blast. I think both would be like No Doubt's bus versus Black Eyed Peas bus or Gwen versus Fergie. I think just both would be rad. So, like, I'm really torn. I think I would go Black Eyed Peas only because, like, the No Doubt band, they haven't been together forever. So I would say like the black eyed peas. Now, we're going to take some phone calls. And this first one, for whatever reason, I just think that this van would be very BO filled. Ew. Smellish. Whose bus would you like to tour on? Hello? Oh, Mikey. Yes, you're on the air. Oh, sorry about that, Mikey. It's okay. P1 maiden fan. And you know what? It's without a doubt. And it's not a tour bus that they're using. They're flying around the world in their own. That's not what I said. No, you don't get to fly around. You don't get to fly around. You must be in a bus. Okay, then hold on. I go with any Iron Maiden tour. They're the greatest metal band. Can you imagine? He's absolutely right. Can you? Wow, Sean loves Maiden too. I love Maiden. Sean, am I not saying classy guys? They know how to party. Classy guys? I've met them several times. These guys are awesome. Classy. They're very smart.
Exactly. They're very smart. They're smart. Hey, listen. They get out, they play the golf. They get out, they play the footy. The football, soccer, as we call it. And the two of the guys graduates of college. You have intelligent conversation. There you go. You know what, man? That is the band. And plus you can help change their diapers. Got it. How old are the guys in Iron Maiden now? They're pushing Nico McBrien. The drummer's probably around mid-50. And, dude, there's hands down all these guys cheating with the double bass. Are these guys still touring? Dude, they're in the middle of the huge... Whoa, whoa, whoa! Come on, are they really? For real? Swear to God. Wow. They're playing right now. They're flying themselves.
Bruce Dickinson is piloting the plane. Bruce Dickinson is still in Iron Maiden. He's alive? Yeah. Wow. He's a captain. Wow. He's alive for British Airways. Cool, man. Dude, they're going to be playing the Duluth County Fair this weekend. There it is. That's going to be awesome. That's not true. They're in demand all over the world. What's the problem? Listen, P1 Maiden fan and P1 Sean are huge Maiden fans. Rock on, brother. There it is, dude. Thank you for the call. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just want to thank you, man, for everything. All you guys. No problem, dude. And your testimony on Friday touches me every time. Thank you, brother. I appreciate that. God bless you all. God bless you. Thank you. P1G, whose tour bus would you be on? Scrantonicity. Be hanging out with Kevin. I'm sure there'd be a lot of... Can you imagine the food that Kevin would have on that tour bus? I think there'd be stinky gas on that bus. There probably would be. There probably would be some stinky gas. P1 Matt, I maybe would have... Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt!
Matt. Oh, my gosh. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt I mean, there may have been a time. Yeah. P1 Rick. Matt. Matt. Whose tour bus? Man, I'd love to tour on Willie Nelson's bus. I wonder why. Can you imagine that? I wonder why. You know, if you guys are going to want to talk about glaucoma, I think he probably has the most severe case in the entire week. That's very true. I think that you're probably right about that. I think you're probably right about that. Thank you for the call. Yeah, thanks, man. Let's see. I'm going to pick a good one here.
I'm going to pick a good Willie Nelson song. Pick it. What? Mm-mm-mm. Is that an oxymoron? No, dude. Willie's awesome, dude. Yeah. He is? Dude, Willie is like the ultimate outlaw. All of a sudden, I'm getting an urge for iced tea. Oh, you guys don't get it. I'm getting an urge for a bullet in my head. Oh, dude. On a porch. Some lemonade. No, thank you. Oh, here's a good one. Oh, that's what I'm talking about. This is, to me, this is better than Elvis' version. Now, I know Eddie might not like that, because Eddie's a bit of an Elvis fan. That's what I'm saying. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Some good stuff.
I don't speak this language. Maybe I didn't read you. Hit this real quick. I think I found my favorite one ever. This is my favorite one ever. Sky, you knew this? Have you heard some of this stuff going up? She smoked weed. Not growing up, but yeah. This is my favorite one ever. This is my favorite one ever. Being a cowboy and loving the cowboy ways. Pursuing the life of my high-riding ego. I burned up my childhood. Oh, yeah. Willie was a real deal. He was a real deal. P1 Snoop Dogg is on the line. Are you there, Snoop Dogg? I'm there. And you would tour on Snoop Dogg's bus. That's right. The Snoop D-L-double-G, we're rolling with Snoop. Yeah. I think we know why, yeah. Yeah, for sure. I think we get that one. P1 Wolf, let's take one more. P1 Wolf, are you there?
Yeah, I've got to go with that Wally roll just because of Wally. I'm already in. I'm in. 100%. No doubt. Hell yeah. Absolutely. He's going to be playing down at the sushi bar in Encinitas. Club Kato. Club Kato. Oh, have another show, Wally. That's right, man. Isn't Wally, he's kind of a regular there, right? Dude. No, he's on a world tour right now, right? No. No, dude. He used to be. They don't want to oversaturate the market. Get it right. That's right. I love those guys. Let me tell you. Have another show. If anyone's listening that knows Wally, tell them to put on another show. I want to go down. I saw him like six months ago. Haven't heard from him since. Tell him to get in touch with me. Rob. Rob went to the Wally World concert. Sushi bar. I got a CD in my car. Club Kato. Jesus. Come on. Club Kato. Encinitas Boulevard. Encinitas. Yes. Right across from the Taco Bell. But she also plays that. It's every Wednesday and Thursday. There it is. Wow. I think I would tour with... I didn't say. I think I would tour with this band that I'm into now, Cutlass. They seem like some pretty cool guys. You know, because I got to be... I mean, if I got to be on a bus with a bunch of dudes, at least we could talk about the same stuff. You know what I mean? And I like Cutlass.

You heard what Richard Roper from At The Movies with Ebert and Roper is saying about Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He's calling it every bit as good as Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and Superbad. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is one of the funniest movies of 2008. One of the funniest movies of the decade. One of the funniest damn movies I've ever seen. It's an instant classic. I laughed out loud 20 times. One good laugh after another. I want to get down on my knees and declare my undying love for Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I'd like to grab some dinner, please. Is your girlfriend joining? No. You just by yourself? Yeah. You've got a loaner? Clear the other plates off of the table because you don't need the other plates and napkins. Or call 1-800-444-6835. Welcome to Hotels.com. you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Some tough spots on our freeways this morning. As you work your way out of the South Bay, though, you will find some better looking speeds a little bit, especially on the 5 freeway. But a little farther north on that 5, you will find it back up getting into downtown. Then again now into Mission Bay. Northbound 805, that's still finding some brake lights up to National City towards Imperial Avenue. And then it gets tough out of Mission Valley coming up the hill to the 163. There's an earlier accident there that caused the jam up. Getting past that, more traffic out of Kearney Mesa now, heading up over to 52. West 94 on the King Freeway, that's starting to ease up a little bit. Some leftover slowing from the 15 now into downtown. The West 8 ride is also seeing some slow traffic here, approaching the 805 as you make that right-hand turn, and then some more traffic around Hotel Circle. There was an accident near Taylor Street that caused that bit of a backup there. South 15, finally seeing some relief here out of Escondido. Not so quite backed up, but still got plenty of company, actually, off to 78 down at Villarancho Parkway.
So is again through Rancho Bernardo and Carmel Mountain Ranch. And the coaster ride, South 5, pretty stacked up here from Lucadia in the Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Is this Rebecca? Yes, it is. I understand that you went to sleep train. Yes, I did. What happened? Well, my husband and I went back last May. We just got married, so we bought our new mattress. We got a really good deal on it. They threw in free sheets and pillows because we said we heard about it through you. And they also gave us the free mattress protector, so it was really cool. And I referred my mom to go there because she is buying a bed for my grandmother just this last week. And she went to the Curdie Mesa store, and they actually beat the price on a Costco mattress. The Sleep Train was selling it for, I think, around $1,000, and then the Costco price was like $500-something, so they beat that, which is awesome. They just won Best Mattress Store, and there's a reason for it. They're really good. The prices are great, and if you're getting one of these good name brand mattresses, or no matter what you're looking for, they're great. How is that mattress in terms of being comfortable? It's awesome. I can't get out of bed in the morning. It's really comfortable. That is good stuff. Thank you. You got it. Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep.

I'm the only guy I know that's able to pull off, getting pulled over in the courthouse parking lot, wall parking. And get a ticket. And Ashley. I'm extremely prone to self-inflicting injury. The Mikey Show's on. It's worth every penny. Rock 105.3. It's a Mikey show at 839. After people were upset that the city council voted to give themselves raises, two council members have now withdrawn their support for the plan. The UMass coach, Travis Ford, is leaving to become the new head coach at Oklahoma State. That was an interesting conversation we were having during the commercial break. Eddie plays fantasy baseball. Yeah. And he just picked up the Giants pitcher, Barry Zito. Because he's terrible.
Yeah, you shouldn't have done that. And Sky is a Giants fan. I love the Giants there, my team. But, yeah, Barry Zito has been horrendous this season. That's true. I mean, I pretty much blame him for the Giants not doing well this season. He's only pitched in four games. And I think we've lost all four of them. You have. And I think we've won the rest of the games. No, that's not true. Rob said that part of the problem is that he's pitching underhand, and that doesn't help the situation. Yeah, the baddest is just figuring him out, and he's slow-pitched softballing it down there. These guys are Major League Baseball players. They've figured out the underhand. hitch by this point, you know what I mean? There's not much to it, and once you figure that out... Well, it's 32 miles an hour is how fast it's trying. Come on, you guys. I love Barry Zito. He's our friend from the Bay, but dude... He's gonna turn it around. He's gotta figure it out, Eddie. He's gonna turn it around. Because we paid him $700 million, and he needs to figure out how to throw a baseball. How much is he getting paid?
He signed like a $135 million contract or something like that. Too much. A lot of dough. Like all the money the Giants have. Guy was a Cy Young award winner. He's real good. He's just having a hard time right now. It was the year that we were there in 03. He was just coming off the, I think his rookie season, he was a Cy Young award winner. Because when we went into the Skybox, they had this magazine on the coffee table there that said, They were doing some clever wording with Cy about him. And he used to be on our show at the time. He's a really nice guy. Is that the guy you called on the cell phone? That is the same guy. Give him a call and ask him about what he's making. Maybe I wouldn't do that. But wait until game time. Yeah, it was when he played for the A's. They were playing the Giants, and I left him a voicemail. Big series. In the middle of the game. In the middle of the game. When he was winning. He was killing it. And then after you left that message. After I left that voicemail, he gave up, like, 147 runs. You ruined his career. Shut up. Yeah. We didn't hear much from him. He thought it was hysterical. Yeah, he thought it was hysterical. Never recovered, really. That's right. Yeah, look at him now. Right? Pitching underhand in the majors. Come on. Thanks, Mike. He's on my team now.
You guys hear about this 11-year-old that has a butter knife stuck in his head? He had a friend threw a butter knife at him. How does a butter knife, if it's a butter knife, the whole nature of a butter knife is that it isn't sharp. It's rounded. From my understanding, it went in and like, you know, their skin, you have skins, and then there's your skull. Okay. And it went in, like, in between the two. Okay. You want to see a picture? Yes, I do. I do want to see a picture. Take care of your head by wearing your helmet. I don't know, kid. Well, first of all, that's a terrible looking cutlery set. That should be, it's time to upgrade. Definitely time to upgrade. It looks like, because you know how there's like the knife part and then the handle? It like goes all the way up to the handle. Ouch. Is he the Land O'Lakes lady kid? They were thrown, that kid that threw that at him must have thrown it so hard. It's caught between his scalp and his skull, but the kid's okay. I can't believe he's not dead. They were able to remove it. You are really funny. Trying to make you laugh, Eddie. I've heard of Butterface before, but not. Yeah, this is different. There we go, there we go. So there it is. 11 years old. He's alright. He's cool. That's right. Everybody quit freaking out. There is going to be a new kid's book.
It's going to explain why mom got a boob job. It is called. Oh, we could have wrote that, Eddie. What is it? Mom's little boob job? No, it's called My Beautiful Mommy. And it explains to children their mother going and getting cosmetic surgery. So that's necessary? Like that was necessary? Well, because you go out looking one way and you come back looking another. Right. And that's kind of dramatic for kids sometimes. The magic booby fairy. So the mommy in the book. I guess there was a problem with mommy just got a boob job. Yeah. So mommy in the book gets a tummy tuck, a nose job, and implants. And there's illustrations. I mean, your boobs are huge. So the mommy's changing. Come on. And then, of course, in the end of the book, mommy is even more beautiful than before. Oh, my God. No, I'm not down with that. I'm not down with that part. Baby, don't work. It was originally called Horton Sees a Boob. Oh, man. Yeah. Like, I think on the fourth or the fifth page, it's something about how...
People will only like mommy if mommy does this. Right, yeah. I think you'll probably want D-cups. This defines mommy somewhere. And then like on page eight, it's like, oh, and this will make boys like mommy more. Yes, for sure, yeah. Mommy's trying to move up in her career. And they recommend you judge somebody based on their outside appearance. Yes, absolutely. Boys will only like mommy. And then the ending note is beauty is only skin deep. Yes, that is the final chapter. Damn you, Dr. Seuss. That's right. Theme. Let's see. So today in Texas, they're doing the custody hearing on all of the polygamists. Yep, the kids that were taken into custody by the state when they raided the polygamist ranch. I've abandoned my child! Well, they have over 400 children, and, you know, the parents are just up in arms. They say that the state of Texas illegally took their children away from them.
Call it a compound. But I thought that's what it was. Oh, they get a little... What? They've been living on a ranch. They get a little upset. Sean has a song about that, I believe. Well, yesterday on Good Morning America, Robin Roberts was interviewing a couple of these women and made the mistake of calling it a compound. Cut 40. So, again, you have not seen underage girls on your compound? Being married? It's not a compound. It's not a compound. It's our ranch and it's our home. It's our home. I am sorry. They don't want it to be called a compound. I hear these people sound like this. Yeah, it's really weird. It sounds really weird. Check this out. Here's a lady named Esther. Is this based on the movie by M. Night Shyamalan, The Village? It is not based on the... They were a bunch of Mormons. They were living on a ranch. That's not what it was. I missed the movie before you speak. This is a woman named Esther from the YFZ Ranch in Texas. Not compound. The YFZ Ranch in Texas.
And she is talking about this case. Cut 39. We were taken without any explanation. We were taken at gunpoint. And there's just no paper served. It's just like we're animals herded into this. And our children are taken away. And a story that we're not even allowed to hear. They won't give us a recording or listen to it or anything. Person that does not exist. So you believe this person who allegedly called authorities does not exist? No, they do not exist. There's no person here like that. Oh, whoa. That is a trip. They don't believe that anybody called. No, they believe it was like some outside person who just is like judging them and the way they live and they made up these allegations.
Yeah, they don't believe it was actually a 16-year-old woman being abused by her 50-year-old husband. No way. Yeah. That's a trip. Another big story out is, I don't know if you heard about the Dick Cheney stand-up comedy stuff, but Dick Cheney is just hysterical. He's just hysterical. I've heard that. And so here he is. Yeah. No. Yeah. Having a little fun. Heck yeah. Cut 11. It's always very exciting when the Pope comes to town, and I am modest enough to realize that all of you would rather see the Pope standing here than me. But instead of the successor to St. Peter, you're stuck with me, the successor to St. Al. Speaking of Vice President Gore, I'm sorry to relate that he's a little bit sore at me. He's convinced that on global warming, I just don't get it. But lately...
With every passing day, the evidence has been catching my attention. I have no doubt, none at all, that we are in the midst of a global warming, or as I prefer to call it, spring. I don't want to sound like an alarmist, but it's going to get a lot warmer before it gets cooler. But I want you to know I'm doing my part to meet the crisis by reducing my carbon footprint big time. Every time I'm rushed to the hospital, I insist on a hybrid ambulance. Quite a delivery, right? Dick Cheney, so stupid. Oh, President Bush. That's the president of the United States. Thank you, everybody. I've been working with him for so long on his comedy routine. Because I do stand-up. I don't know if you guys know that. I didn't know you did stand-up. I've been doing it for a while. I go to Yuck Yucks. There is Yuck Yucks. You guys want to hear some of my routine? Sure, I'd love to hear it.
There's a lot of differences between men and women. Yeah, wait a second. It's crazy. What's up with those stewardesses? They're crazy. Wait a second. It's so stupid. Those are his jokes? It's so stupid. President Bush. What? You're just, all you're doing. Asian drivers. They're not very good. Okay, see now that. All you're doing is taking themes and just going like with themes. My wife said something to me the other night. And it made me mad. Yeah. I mean, there's no more to it than that. Thank you, President Bush. That's a little stand-up comedy routine. Second showing. Yes, there you go. I'm going to try to work that in. Full suit telling those jokes. That's good. Text us at 35253.
I promise when we come back, I'm going to finally play those clips of Hillary apologizing about the fake sniper fire she was in. Brock! Oh, boy was I hungry. Glad we stopped at Mickey D's. Me too. How's your Angus third pounder? You mean my new Angus Chipotle barbecue bacon third pounder? I'll tell you in a second. Mmm. Good? It is sweet, saucy, spicy, my little love bum. So then you like it? I love it. Chipotle dream, sizzling bacon on your American cheese. Doing a tango with my senses, much like you. Well, it's nothing like me, really. But it does sound like a great burger. Not just great. It is 100% Angus beef caressed by Chipotle barbecue sauce and Angus Chipotle barbecue bacon third pounder. Well...

Number one, hilarious driving stories. It's true. It's true. It's a stereotype, Eddie. Number two, 50% off pedicures. Oh, wow. Again. That's pretty good.
Number three, private chopstick lessons. That's true. Number four, all the bird's nest soup you can handle. I mean, it is a weird, weird thing, but if you want to... The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Welcome back. It's The Mikey Show at 8.58. Lindsay Lohan's dad says that Lindsay is going to go with him to India to do missionary work. Lindsay's people say that's news to them. The Padres' bullpen forgot they're good and gave up seven runs in the ninth inning as the Rockies won 10-2. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 570-1053. We'd love to hear from you. So, last night was another presidential debate. Hillary and Barack. Oh. That's right. And, you know, basically there's going to be a lot of this...
He's an elitist, and there's going to be a lot of that stuff. The pastor and all that stuff. And so this is Hillary Clinton apologizing about her, oh, I was under sniper fire when I went to Bosnia, even though they checked the tape and there was no sniper fire, and they talked to the pilot of the plane, and he said there wasn't any sniper fire. Cut 35. I may be a lot of things, but I'm not dumb. And I wrote about going to Bosnia in my book in 2004. I laid it all out there. And you're right. On a couple of occasions in the last weeks, I just said some things that weren't in keeping with what I knew to be the case and what I had written about in my book. And, you know, I'm embarrassed by it. I have apologized for it. I've said it was a mistake. And it is, I hope, something that you can look over.
Because clearly, I am proud that I went to Bosnia. It was a war zone. General Wesley Clark is here in the audience with me as one of my major supporters. He and I were talking about it before I came out. You know, our soldiers were there to try to police and keep the peace in a very dangerous area. They were totally in battle gear. There were concerns about potential dangers. The former president of Bosnia has said that he was worried about the safety of the situation. So I know that it is something that some people have said, wait a minute, what happened here? But I have talked about this and written about it. And then, unfortunately, in a few occasions, I was not as accurate as I have been in the past. But I know, too, that being able to rely on my experience of having gone to Bosnia, gone to more than 80 countries, having represented the United States in so many different settings, gives me a tremendous advantage going into this campaign, particularly against Senator McCain.
So the longer she goes on, the worse it gets. She wants us to look past a Clinton line. Yeah, pretty much. She misspoke. Guess what? That is crap. She misspoke. Dude. She misspoke. Yes, she did. She's been to a lot of different places. You know, sometimes you get confused. Well, that's okay. I mean, hey, listen, Hillary, it wasn't Bosnia that you got off the plane and you were ducking because of sniper fire. Where was it? Tomorrow. It wasn't Bosnia. So we figured that out. Okay, cool. Brooklyn. Yeah, where was it? I would love to know. It was Jersey. That's right. She lost. So shady. So here is Barack Obama. He had to respond to some stuff too. They wanted to know. Barack, you know, when you said this thing about how people from Pennsylvania, they really cling to guns and their religion.
Rural Pennsylvania, Mike. Rural Pennsylvania, that's right. Rural Pennsylvania, where they don't count. Tell us, what is that? What did you mean by that? Cut 32. The point I was making was that when people feel like Washington's not listening to them, when they're promised year after year, decade after decade, that their economic situation is going to change, and it doesn't. then politically they end up focusing on those things that are constant, like religion. They end up feeling this is a place where I can find some refuge. This is something that I can count on. They end up being much more concerned about votes around things like guns, where traditions have been passed on from generation to generation. And those are incredibly important to them. And yes, what is also true is that wedge issues, hot-button issues, end up taking problems in our... And our politics. And part of the problem is that when those issues are exploited, we never get to solve the issues that people really have to get some relief on, whether it's health care or education or jobs. So this is something that I've said before. It is something that I will repeat again. And yes, people are frustrated and angry about it. But what we're seeing in this election is the opportunity to break through that frustration. And that's what our campaign has been about, saying that if the American people get involved and engaged,
then we are going to start seeing change, and that's what makes the selection unique. There it is. Change, change, change. I'm starting to freak out he didn't say it. Yeah, no, he got to it. Don't worry. Change of fools. He does say that change all the time, right? Well, he has to say it every, like, five seconds. He's got change in his pocket. I mean, there's always got to be a point being made about change of some kind. Change of clothes. That's right. I got to change my wardrobe. Change of art. Change your undies. That's right. That Bill Murray movie, Quick Change. That's a good one. Oh, yeah. Sometimes I'll reference that. Really? Yep. Really? Eddie, how dare you? Come on. You'll love it. I mean, seriously. Question. Yeah. Question. Is there stuff you see other couples do that drives you nuts? Or as Ash said earlier, bananas? Yeah. It drives me bananas. Is there some stuff that drives you bananas? Dude, I cannot take same-side sitters. I'm a same-side sitter. I know, I can't take it. If I saw you do that, I'd yell at you. I did it last night. Yeah, Eddie doesn't like it when he goes in there and he looks at a booth at a restaurant and the couple is sitting on the same side. He wants to be across from his lady. Yeah, so I can speak with her and look at her. You're so far away. I want to look at her and speak to her. I don't want to sit next to her.
That's uncomfortable. But then you can cuddle when you're waiting for the food. That's so weird. Now, let me ask you. I don't like you that much. What about when you go, Eddie, if it's a double date, do you sit across from your spouse or then you sit next to her? So it's awkward because there's nobody on the other side. Yes. Gotcha. That's what a booth is meant for. Yeah, see, I am a same-side sitter, but my husband hates it because he feels like he doesn't have enough room. One of us is going to have our eating hand hitting the other one. And so, you know, we have to compromise. We rotate. Sometimes I don't want to. Sometimes I'm not in the mood and I'll say, this is the way it goes down. We walk into the restaurant and she goes to do the same-side sitter thing. And so she slides into the booth and I'll just sit on the other side. Wow. No, no, no. It is a thing where that particular day, I want to look at her directly in the face. She's a beautiful lady. You should want to look at her. Yeah. I love looking at my wife. But sometimes I'm more in the mood of, I just want to kind of, I want to put my hand on her leg. I want, you know, sometimes I'm in the mood.
You guys get what I'm saying. In a room. Jeez, what are you ordering? Oysters? I'll tell you what I can't stand. What? I don't like tandem bikes. Thank you. Where they ride together. They are so cute. They are not so cute. They are so cute. They're so gay. It's like a joy. I wish I bought one. We saw the other day, we saw a couple of people, a man and a woman. Wearing matching, and I'm not, I promise you I'm not making this up because you're going to think I'm making this up. What? They were wearing neon matching outfits. You're making it up. You're making that up. Reflective. That is sweet. And they were on a tandem bike. Dude, I saw that the other day going up, or yesterday. The same person? I think it's the same couple. Really? Dude, it was red tops, black bottoms.
Dude, I swear to God, tandem bike, and I almost got in an accident over it. I think it was red tops. They're sitting on a stick at their wheel. I would have loved to teach them a lesson for going out in public like that. Can we explore it for a second? Can we explore it? Yeah, let's do this. Whose idea? Because you've got to go buy the bike. How do you go buy the bike? It's a mutual thing. Do you borrow your neighbor's truck? Where do you get one? Where do you get the tandem bike? I think you're probably into the sport of biking. So you have to be that close? You can't have your own bike? Hey bro, it's called variety. Switching it up. One day maybe we want to ride together. There's nothing embarrassing about that? Nothing embarrassing about him? I wouldn't care. Person in the... Ridiculous. Who? What are you, a circus? It's goofy. Who cares? It's goofy. Dude, and then you guys, you know, like you're a married couple. You guys are in the bedroom putting on your outfits together. You had to go by together. And I said to Rebecca, I go, when I saw it, I said, what do you think? Should we start doing that? And she's like, oh, yeah, yeah. And I...
I pretended that I was in the bike shop, and I go, you got that in triple X? Yeah, you got the spandex in triple X. It's still a little tight. I think it's sweet. You think that's sweet? No, you don't. I do, too. I don't believe her, Eddie. I don't believe you. Continue. I mean, I know I could never talk my husband into it. My husband, like, we can't even wear jeans on the same day because people... Dude, I'm serious. He has such a... I'm not serious. That's a little much. He has like a trip. If our outfits are even remotely similar, one of us will have to change before we can go out the house. So if you're wearing a red shirt and he had a red shirt on... Yeah, not allowed. Is that for real? For real? I swear. He would say change? Whoa. Now, it's always you that's got to change, right? Most of the time. Well, it depends who's dressed first. Well, you should say, hey, if you're all freaked out about it, why am I the one that's got to change? I like that we're all cute. Well, I mean, but... It's not like we, yeah. You didn't plan it. Oh, it drives me nuts. 5701053. He is a very wise man. Mikey Show. Hello. Yes, you're on the air. Oh, this is P1 Cobbler. Hey, I'm calling about the tandem bikes. Yes. Oh, my gosh. Those are ridiculous. I saw them the other day. The person in the back has to be, have their hands under the other person's butt. Do they really? Kind of, yeah. Why? Because that's the way they're set up. Yeah, the scene is like, right?
Go ahead, Sean. I was just going to say, the seat is right on top of the handlebar. So the handlebars and the seat actually go, they occupy the same post. So you're right under their box. Can you imagine? Oh, gross. Oh, for goodness sake. Now, is it always... Honey, did you have onion rings for us? Is there like a, like, does it have to be guy in front, girl in back, girl in front, guy in back? I think it has to be girl in front. Girl in front? Girl in front. Absolutely. That's not more ridiculous. Well, wouldn't it make sense to put the lighter person in front? I would have thought so. Say again, Ash. Wouldn't it just make sense to put the lighter person, which is probably most likely the woman, in front? I don't know why, but I... Why? I assume that the person in the back is doing more work. I don't know why. You thought that the girl would... It would be what? I thought the person in the back would be doing the most work. Maybe. No, I don't know. Because when I saw it, the guy was in the front, and they were going uphill. So you've got to figure, you want the heavier person, the stronger person in the front. And not only that, the person in the front is doing the actual steering. Yeah, we know when that is true. Thank you. You just convinced me, Sean. You have to have a guy in front. Hit the nail on the head, bud. Mikey Show. Hey, I was just listening to them. I've actually seen a four-person bike with...
You know, two adults on the outside. So different. You know, that's not like a couple. It's like a circus. Yeah, we're talking Shriners, for crying out loud. Mikey Show. Hello. Hey, what's up? You're on the air. How you doing? Good. Good. Hey, Eddie, you couldn't be more right with the booth sitting there. Yep. I do not want my lady next to me. I want to be looking right at her eyes. That's cool. I mean, hey, I understand it. I just sometimes. Gosh, I wish my husband would say that to me. Like, he's all about our arms touching when we're eating. Like, that's his thing. But if he would have been to me, well, I just want to be able to look at you when I'm talking. I'd be like, you're so sweet. No, he doesn't want his arm space when he's trying to cut his steak. Now, wait a second. He's same side sitter. That's why? That's why he does not want to be a same size sitter because when he's cutting his food and eating his food, I may be in his space. Yes. Let me be free. Get the hell away from me. Basically. Is he eating a brontosaurus steak? Mikey show. How are you doing? Good, man. I saw a tandem bike with one of those hookups on the back with like a little kid bike hookup. Have you seen those before?
It's like half a bike that hooks to the back of a bicycle. Oh, no. And so there were three of them riding, mom, dad, and the little kid. It was so silly. Oh, my. That is cute. That is very precocious. I love it. I love it. Are we forgetting anything, couple annoying-wise? Well, PDAs, but I don't know. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. But that's like. Goes without saying. No way, dude. I do that all the time. No, you don't. Grocery stores. Dude, remember the 28-hour show when we were watching the movies and him and Sarissa thought it was a make-out? No, you did not. Were they really? Yeah, dude. All over the place. It doesn't matter. We were at Barnes & Noble's yesterday and I was... No, you didn't. And I was... I don't think that's radio friendly. You don't think that's kind of weird? Weird if you're staring at me, but don't stare. Come on. We're all doing our own thing. Come on. You're in a Barnes and Noble? I'm an affectionate person. Don't hold her hand then, will you? Yeah. My goodness. He's holding her hand all right.
What does that mean? It means what you take it to me. But I don't want to take it. Take it for what it's worth, Eddie. I leave it. No, take that. What's up, dude? Hello? Yeah, you're on the air. Hey, yeah, my parents ride tandem bikes with matching outfits. Have you ever addressed it with them? Are you a serial killer? No, my dad is like a full-on bike rider and he just got my mom into it and it's horrible. We see them like riding down the road. It's the most embarrassing thing ever. Have you talked to them about it? I have once. My dad actually showed off his new pair of bike shorts to my wife one time. It was horrible. She definitely knows your dad a lot better now, doesn't she? Gotta have an intervention, bro. Yes. Yeah. Have an intervention where you're all sitting in the room. They walk in. They're like, what's going on here? They walk in in the spandex and a bike helmet. Yes. And you guys are all sitting on a couch. You've written letters. Why? And you're like, dear dad, I just want to let you know. It's so gay when you and mom ride on that bike.
And we just wish that you guys didn't look so dumb. And we love you so much. And we don't want you guys to look lame anymore. You gotta go to Tandem Rehab. Exactly. Go to Tandem Town to get the bikes. Come on down to Tandem Town and get yourself a new Neon outfit. Hey, Mikey, me and my girlfriend always get dressed separately, and we always end up matching, and she never lets me change. Whatever. You like it, bro. Be proud. Text us at 35253. We got that audio of Ashley Simpson being asked by MTV if she's pregnant. It's coming up next. Mikey, I can't stand it when couples have little secret conversations and make everyone around them all awkward. Now, do you guys know what they mean by that? What does that mean, the little secret conversations? Well, what I'm envisioning is you're with a group of people and this couple just kind of clings to each other and they're like talking real nice. No, they start whispering. Giggling. I've done that. I'm sure you have. Mikey, public neckers like Boston Rob really gross me out. Yep. Okay, people kiss in public.
But don't wash each other's tonsils. It's romantic. Oh my. It is. It's Mikey. Tomorrow. And face off for the first time. Somebody might get hurt. So be it. by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. I saw some response out here this morning. There was an accident involving a tour bus in the South 15 here just before the 94. That left debris all over the roadway down here, and you've got heavy traffic backing up big time coming from the 8 freeway all the way on down. Caltrans crews are on the scene with sand trying to get up a fuel school here as well, so you're being advised to avoid that for good reason. There's 4 County Freeway. It's looking pretty typical with some leftover slowing. The West 52 a little bit tight through St. Clemente Canyon toward the 5. South 15 still backing up, though, from Felicita. The Via Rancho Parkway slows again from the community down north to the end of Rancho Bernardo down towards Carmel Mountain Ranch. And the coaster ride South 5 stays quite tough out of Encinitas towards Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. The weather's heating up, and that means it's grilling time. And for me, I don't care if it's a blinding rainstorm. I'm still cooking my Johnsonville brats because I love them so much. You know, when you think about it, If you're grilling stuff and, you know, you got to put a lot of sauce on it or say you're making hamburgers or hot dogs. I mean, they're basically just vehicles for ketchup and mustard. With Johnsonville Brats, they don't need anything. I'm a huge, I love mustard on just about everything. Sky hates me for that, but I don't care. With Johnsonville Brats, I don't put anything on it because they just are so much full of flavor and they're just so juicy. And let me tell you something. If I find out you P1s are using a fork.
To cook those Johnsonville brats on your grill, I'm going to come over to your house personally and slap you upside the head with one of them brats because you do not want to pierce that casing. You pierce that casing or you cook it at too high of a temperature. It's going to split and all that juice is going to go right down to the bottom of the grill. And then you're going to catch on fire and then your brats are going to be ruined. Trust me, you just want to use a nice pair of tongs. You turn them every couple of minutes, like every five minutes or so. Bam, they're done, and they're just full of flavor. They're so delicious. They're so good. So what you want to do, head out to your grocery store tonight. I'm telling you, if you don't know what you want to cook tonight, go to the grocery store, head back to that meat section, get yourself a pack of Johnsonville brats for dinner tonight, and you will thank me later. Johnsonville brats, they're the best. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. Get out of here. O.C. San Diego's Rock. Back to the Mikey Show. With Mikey. I'm a bad guy. Trying to be a good guy. Eddie. I almost now try to find kind of the weirdest thing on the venue and get it. Sky. I hate to cook. Sean. I hate the taste of water. Boston Rob. You guys are a bunch of jerks and you know that. Jerks. And Ashley. I just have a different way of speaking. There you go. Utilizing the language. The Mikey Show's on. All right. No. That's what I'm talking about. Rock 105.3. I've got a key.
Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. It's 922. A dead body was found yesterday off the 5 in National City. The Cubs' Alfonso Suriano was placed on the disabled list with a strained calf. This one is funny. We're getting emails and texts about this issue of what annoys you that you see couples doing. Mikey, I can't stand it when couples go somewhere to eat. Or read a magazine or newspaper and totally ignore each other. Why not just stay home? But the reason I think that's funny is, well, I mean, aren't they enjoying each other's company? They just like being in the presence of the other, right? Sure. Mikey, I can't stand it when couples try to get all cutesy and feed each other. Now that I rarely see. I don't see a lot of couples trying to feed each other. If I did, I might have to.
Call the police. It's garbage! Mikey, I also hate it when couples talk in code. It's very rude. Mikey, why would anybody want to sit on the same side? Doesn't make any sense. It's like sitting next to your boss facing the same direction during a meeting. What? Yeah, I was just thinking that. Isn't that the opposite? Didn't they say two things in one? No. It's like if you're in a meeting with your boss, then you sit next to him as he's talking to you instead of sitting across. I gotcha. See, because I always sit across from my boss. Yeah, that's what they're saying. So you can see them, and they're saying, yeah, that wouldn't make sense to sit next to your boss. You know what I mean? Okay, but they're my lover. Well, then it makes sense. Still your boss, though. That's true, too. Mikey, what about sidecars on a motorcycle? Well, I think that's probably really different. Those are cool. No, they're not. Mikey, are you guys going to do another 28-hour show again this year? Nope. Signed P1 Gemini. We're in April. Calm down, everybody. Never again. We cancel them all. We do one of those once a year, you know. It's a long ways away. But not every year. No.
No, we do it every year. We do one of those. It's like every three or four, I think. Like every decade. Mm-hmm. I think we do that. It's a good rotation. I think we got one coming up next week, so. Oh, no. Oh, no. Shut your filthy mouth. Let's see. Which direction are we going in? Oh, the Ashley Simpson audio. I told you I wanted you to play. Well, we talked about this the other day, and MTV apparently asked something of Ashley Simpson that she thought was pretty rude. Cut 19. He talked to us yesterday and said, you know, you're not pregnant and that, you know, we were the first actually to announce that. So just so we have it to confirm on tape, you're not pregnant. I just think that it's an inappropriate question to ask any woman, which I'm sure you would feel the same thing. So for me, that's something that I will I don't want to ever respond to people because I think it's an inappropriate question. Right. We just want to set the record straight. I heard something interesting. There's something interesting. Did you hear her start to say, for me, it's something that I will, and then she stopped and changed? Oh, I want to hear it again now. Yeah, play it again. He talked to us yesterday and said that you're not pregnant and that we were the first actually to announce that. Just so we have it to confirm on tape, you're not pregnant. I just think that it's an appropriate question to ask any woman, which I'm sure you would feel the same thing.
For me, that's something that I don't want to ever respond to people because I think it's an inappropriate question. Right. We just wanted to set the record straight. You'll what? Say when you feel the time's right, you'll say it? Does that mean? You will what? I will wait until I'm in the second trimester. Yes. That was interesting. Guys, Martha Stewart's dog, Pawpaw, has died. P-A-W-P-A-W. No. Dina was very upset yesterday. First of all, Dina was upset? She was. She was really bummed out. That's not true. It is true. Dude, she watches Martha every day. And does Martha have Papa on the show? Well, it's actually...
Kublai Kaa Paw Paw Chow Chow Chow is the dog's full name. But the nickname is just Paw Paw. And dude, you know what kind of makes it creepy? Now, this is the chow that she did all her ads with. You've seen it in commercials and stuff like that. I've never seen this dog. Nope. Not one time. Didn't know she had a dog. Oh, yeah. She has lots of dogs. Yeah, she has lots of dogs. But so on her blog, you know, she talks about the passing of her dog and how it makes her sad. And then there's a picture. that today yes dude and then there's a picture of this dog well we assume it's a dog in there wrapped in a blanket no there is not with a bow around it and the other dogs like sniffing around it what where is that on her blog here let me send me the link link let me see come on Where did I see that this far? That's so repulsive. Why do you say, Ash? I thought you would think that that was really, you know, like... Is the dog dead? Well, it's wrapped in a little blanket. I don't give a rip. It's dead. You don't wrap a blanket, put a ball on it and take a picture? Well, maybe she was doing it just in the very beginning. You can go to bostonrog.edu and get your dog death blanket for $24.99 or just send me a pack of smokes and a six-pack of Sam Adams. That's just rugs you've stolen.
Let's take a look. So? Okay. Okay. Jefe. Oh, send that over. Send it over. Send it. Hurry up. Where's Zed? Skye? Zed's dead. I didn't send it already. I didn't get nothing from you. Skye. Whoa. For real, that's exactly what that is. Yeah, it's on her blog. On Martha Stewart's blog. That's... The picture, you can find it on TMZ.com. It's really unusual. I don't get it. I get it. Yeah. She wants to let the other dogs know. You know, this is what's happening. And then she's going to bury. And then she's going to bury the dog. It probably just happened. Like, she's not going to keep the dog around long enough for the dog to decompose or whatever. You don't know that. I can't hear about this. I don't. I actually don't. Oh, we don't want to get that for Christmas. It's a good thing. I've seen enough dead dogs today, Mike. Yeah. Can't deal. Very sad. So he died of kidney failure, but was 13 years old. So that's a good life.
I think Jenny Garth really is going to do that 90210 show. Come on! I think she is. Yeah, I think so too. Yeah, because, I don't know, I heard something about she was going to be in some other show and she like quit. Yeah, she was part of the cast of a CBS pilot and left. And the writer of the Beverly Hills 90210 spinoff has said that he has been trying to convince her and working hard to get her to become... Kelly Taylor again on this new show. No way. So that would be awesome if that's true. That'd be sick. Yeah. Was she one of your favorite characters? Yes. Who was your absolute favorite 90210 character, Sky? Well, Kelly was my girl and Brendan was my guy. Really? Yes. Brandon. Brandon. That's right. Maybe that was a Freudian slip. You're thinking of Eddie's friend, our friend, Brendan. Well, he is attractive. Everyone calls Brandon. Everyone calls Brandon. Especially Boy Blunder. Eddie, how about you? Who was my person? Yes. I was a big Nat fan. You're full of it right now. What do you mean? You're full of it. Why are you trying to make jokes about the serious topic? You were a big Nat fan. Whenever he was on screen, I would love it. Yeah, I'm sure. Why are you acting like that? Because if I talk to you back in the day... He really liked Joe E. Tata.
That was the actor's name that played Nat. He's not being genuine right now. And I don't appreciate it. Did he own the Peach Pit? Yes, he did. Okay. Not the Peach Pit after dark, but just the Peach Pit. But he did own it. Yes. I see. Al Pacino on what looks like a turd, 88 minutes. Cut 46. I'm always looking for an emotion in a role. Something to make you feel. And there's a couple of scenes in here that have a little emotion in them, which is, I think, something that I... He doesn't even do a good Pacino. I mean, seriously. I've heard better. Yeah, but I think Craig does a better Pacino. He definitely does. Because that guy that just was talking doesn't even sound like Al Pacino. One more time. I'm always looking for an emotion in a role. Something to make you feel... And there's a couple of scenes in here that have a little emotion in them. Not even close. Which is, I think, something that I like to see in pictures. And it's in 88 minutes. What's so funny is that it doesn't matter what role he plays. He is that guy, Al Pacino. But in real life, he's not that guy, Al Pacino. If you want to see Al Pacino, he's in all the movies. But he's not in real life.
Like in real life, he's got that, you know, almost normal voice. But in the movies, it's always that lazy eye, you know. It's always that. Into the screen. Yes. Like way too intense and knows everything. Like the Al Pacino guy in every Al Pacino movie, he knows more than you do. And it's very clear that his character knows more than you do. Right. But not in real life. It's the weirdest thing. You guys know who Mike Shinoda is? Yeah. Lincoln Park's lead singer. Oh. One of them. I think there's two guys that share the lead singing duties. He's the rapper guy and Chester's the singer guy, huh? Ashley, did you know that Lincoln Park is very green? They're very green. Cut a lot of broccoli, eh? Cut 44. We've been trying to make our tours a little more green. We've also been trying to donate money from the tours to different...
organizations that we think are helping out. You know, we're running a majority of the bus and truck fleet on biodiesel and doing things like donating the leftover catering to homeless shelters and other organizations that can use it. There's a lot of things that bands can do. Now, I guess there's nothing wrong with that, right? That's nice. No, that's great. Doing something for the environment. I want to see if anybody else finds anything interesting about this, makes an observation, because I just read what it's about. I haven't heard it. But I want to see if anybody else makes the observation that I was making. Cut 43. Since I am not the world's greatest cook, I do my mother's stuffed cabbage, which I think is a great recipe, and brownies. Barbara, you're too modest, Barbara. They've been in 11,000 different books, the same two mediocre recipes. What about those hot dogs you always serve? I gave a birthday party for some friends the other night, and I had hot dogs and hamburgers. Everybody was so thrilled. Now, you can go to the corner.
and buy a hot dog. But these people are so used to... We have hot dogs at your house. I don't think a lot of people here say to themselves, I bet Barbara has hot dogs every Friday. And so it's crazy. How do you know? You weren't there. Now the thing I thought was interesting about this. That's hard to listen to. I mean, you can only do one of those clips a month, man. I'm telling you, the cackling. Sucks the life out of me. But the thing that I thought was interesting about that is that Barbara doesn't realize that most people don't think that having hamburgers and hot dogs at a birthday party is unusual. It's actually the norm. Yeah, I mean, that's kind of what we do. Why would Elizabeth Hasselbeck assume that they were mini hot dogs?
This is a good question. This is so weird. That is a good question. In that clip, Whoopi Goldberg sounded more like Al Pacino than Al Pacino. 35253 is our text number. Seth, you get that Polaroid camera I sent over there last week? What? Polaroid camera? He was talking about how he likes photography. I just want to send him over. He's never said that he likes photography. Oh, that's right. That was Boston Rob that said that. No, he never said that either. Oh, that's fine. I mean, if that doesn't want the Polaroid, you can just send it back or keep it or take a picture, you know, you or yourself or whatever. I got to go play my Xbox 360 now and throw back some beers with a Playboy magazine. So I'll talk to you guys a little bit later on. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Back, it is 942. Oh, Christy Lee Cook was the one sent home last night on American Idol. Is everybody ready for the NBA playoffs? Oh, yeah. I know you all were concerned, but Dallas did lock up. The number seven seed in the West, and they're going to avoid the Lakers. Wow. Thank goodness. Thank goodness. What are these text messages we're getting? Mikey, the dogs need to see that the dog didn't just disappear. Sometimes dogs have separation issues, and that can help them. So they know why the dog is gone. That's P1 Crystal.
I definitely think that that is certainly an opinion, and you're entitled to it. I know you believe that dogs have emotions and feelings, like humans, so I would understand that. P1 Crystal, you mean? Oh, you. Oh, me? Yeah, you talk about it all the time. I do not, actually, I do not talk about that all the time. No, that's definitely not me, no. That might be Ashley. It might be Ashley. Ashley might say that. I believe that. Yeah, Ashley believes it. I will actually know that for a fact. She knows that they have the emotions and the feelings that human beings do. They operate on the same ones. That's why sometimes you've got to take them to the psychologist. They have dog therapy. Yeah, they do. Sammy has her good days. Yesterday, she was in a bad mood all day and just in a funk. Did you ask her what the problem was? I don't know. Are you okay? She can't tell me. I did. I said, Sammy, are you okay? Which I ask her every day when I get home. Yesterday, she wasn't. She was okay.
Now, see, this must not apply to cats, right, Skye? This is not like a cat thing. No, it is. But when Ginger died, we did not have to show her body to Jules and Sydney in order for Jules and Sydney to move on. Well, I mean... Cats are... They don't care. I don't think they care. No, I would. You... I would. Stop the presses. Skye... What? You would... You would what? Yeah, they need to know, like, what happened to their... Their housemate. So what would you do? Well, in an ideal scenario. Yes, we're working on ideal here. Yes, ideal scenario. Best case. My kiddies would live to a very, very ripe old age. And unfortunately, they can't outlive me because, you know, they don't live as long. I have a question. Before we go further, how old are Tango and Logan? Tango is...
Eight. And Logan is seven. How long do cats... I was having this thought the other day. Please stop. I don't know. Please stop. 15? Is that how long? 20. They can get into their 20s? It's very, very rare for a cat to make it to 20. So what's average? I think average is about 13. Like 10. Six is pushing it. Shut up, all of you. Yeah, I had this thought the other day because I was like, how old is Tango? And then I did the math and I was like, oh, and then the helmet, yeah. Okay, so, okay, so. Tango? Tango. So what would you do? Have you ever seen the bucket list? Maybe you should start doing stuff with them. The cat bucket list? Yeah, cat bucket list.
One time I want to have tuna at a Taj Mahal. Right? I don't know what they would want. That's not true. What would they want to do? Throw them off the roof like with a little parachute. Meow. Meow. Free. Free. I can fly. Yeah, it's all real funny. No, no, no. So, Skye, go ahead. What would you do? I'm doing that today. In an ideal scenario. like, say, Tango, since he's older, passes away from natural causes due to, you know, being extremely old in his sleep. Being extremely cute. Yeah. And I would definitely let Logan, you know, sniff around him and check him out before, you know, burying him in the yard. You're going to bury him in the yard? Of course. Yard? Oh, my goodness. You ever hear a pet cemetery? Yeah. Yeah, and then actually... You don't want that happening. That was a documentary. My cat's growing up. It was really cool. We had a vet that would come... your house. And so they came to the house when one of our cats was really sick and euthanized the cat at the house so the other cat could, you know. Where do they do it? Creepy. Wherever you want. Wherever you want. Yeah, Tiger was under his... Where is an appropriate place? Well, Tiger was laying in the grass under his favorite tree. He was under his favorite tree. In the backyard. In the backyard. The cutting board, Mike. What? Oh, dude! Dude! Please! An all-clad roaster.
Now, wait a minute. He said it and forget it. I bet this is real funny. So, wait a minute. Was the cat kind of at a stage where the cat wasn't moving around, so he's kind of laying under the tree? Yeah, he was starting to. Oh, Sean, don't do that, Sean. Sean. Sean, shut that off. I'm never coming to your house again, Sky. Why? So, Sky, wait a second. Because it's haunted by the cat? Yeah. The cat's not the cat. So, Sky. So, Skye, so the cat couldn't move anyway, was laying under the tree? Well, no, he could move. He was just very sickly and old and, you know, was suffering a little bit. Wait, we've got to euthanize Zeph. And then we've got to leave him out for a couple days so we can all sniff around him? So that Ashley and me and Eddie, we can all go around and sniff and make sure we know what the deal is. So you would do that, huh, Skye? Yes, that would be.
For a bottle of Jack Daniels and a couple of packs of Parliament's, I'll come over there and do it for you. I'm going to punch you in the face. And that's actually my new business at bostonrob.org. Dot edu. Dot edu. I will come over to your home and I will let the other cats sniff your cats. Before I kill them. Then I'll dig the hole. Okay, everyone. I think we're done with this topic. That one's not dead. Let me just turn on the garbage disposal. Too far, Eddie. This guy's giving Eddie that look right now. She loves me. It's the best. Yeah, I thought about it with us, too, because we got, well, Sidney is going to live for a long time. He's only like two years old, three years old, but Rebecca got Jules and Ginger. And, you know, they were the same age. They were brother and sister. Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah, and Ginger recently left us. She passed. We had to put her down. Kitty heaven. Oh, my God. Sean, please stop. That's terrible. It's not appropriate right now, Sean. Oh, my gosh. Sorry, Mike.
So, hey, listen, it's going to be that little blonde he's got to answer to, not me. Wow. So now Jules, you know, he's old. How's he doing? Well, he's doing all right. But, like, I was watching him go out that cat door the other day. And Sidney, man, Sidney charges through that thing real fast and comes back in and goes out. And Jules, it's like. You know, it's like he's got a bladder infection or something every time he's walking through that thing. It's like she's so dainty. You know, he's so dainty when he's going through it. He's like an old guy trying to make his way through. Cat walker. Seriously. Miley Cyrus says that she's bummed because she can't go to her prom, but she didn't really have anybody that asked her to go anyway. So what was she going to do? She says, yeah, she would be the single loner sitting in the back by herself. What is that about? Nobody asked her to the prom. What do you mean nobody asked her to the prom? She doesn't go to high school. Wait a minute. She doesn't have a school that she goes to? She's probably tutored. What is she even talking about? Prom season. Is it prom season right now? I don't know. If a girl asks me to the prom, I'll take you. I didn't go. I went to five proms. Did you really?
Not fun. Five proms. Why five? Because you're so hot. I went to one every year of high school and I was in high school for five years. How does that work out? Start by being not smart. It doesn't come in a bottle or pill. I don't have to buy it from some guy on the street. I never have a hangover, no matter how much I've indulged. Just one taste seemed to make all my problems melt away, like fog in the sunshine. Work, family troubles, money worries were all replaced with a pain-killing numbness. For a while it seemed perfect. Then my gambling got out of control. That's right, I'm talking about gambling. Slot machines for me. Video poker too. For most people, it's just entertainment. I became, well, before it was over, I lied. I wrote bad checks. I was no longer there for my kids. I'm not a bad person. I just lost my way. If my story sounds like yours, call 1-800-GAMBLER. None much. Look, I switched over to AIS yesterday, and these guys saved me $296 a month in car insurance. And now they dropped it down to practically $150 a month. And I had SR-22 from a DUI. Ooh, and they still did that for you? Absolutely. Nice. See, that's a great thing. I cannot thank you enough. No, that's cool, dude. Don't thank me. Thank AIS, dude. Sometimes people, when they hear me talking about AIS so much... They don't realize that there are real people out there that are saving the dough, and you're one of them. Absolutely. Welcome back. Just a couple of stories, and we're going to wrap her up. We're all done. Obama and Hillary released their tax returns. Yep. How much did they make last year? Obama, $4.2 million. Now, obviously, the tax return is him and his wife. It's probably because of that book. He wrote that book. $4 million is from two books. His salary as a senator is just under $160,000, and his wife's salary is about $104,000. What does she do? Let's see. She's a vice president of community and external affairs at University of Chicago Medical Center. Yeah. Then that's a big jump from 2006 when they made just under a million dollars. Yeah. A little bit. Cash money. Four million and a book. Two books. Two million a book. The Audacity of Hope. And the other is Dreams from My Father. The Clintons.
Last year? They made like $70 billion. Brought in $20.4 million last year. They say about half of it is just from Bill Clinton's speaking engagements. Whoa. And then they go on to say that the Clintons have made nearly $109 million since leaving the White House in 2001. Wow. I had no idea. John McCain has yet to release his tax returns, but he is one of the richest senators. His wife is the heiress to her father's beer distributive business, which they believe is worth about $100 million. Eddie, why are you shaking your head down? Rich and hot. And beer. And beer. $100 million. But they do say that most of the family assets are kept in Cindy's name under a prenuptial agreement. Honda has recalled more than 350,000 accords. What kind? What year? What kind, what year? What's going on? What's going on? You're good, Ashley. Now, this only applies to the 2003 Accord.
