6-0-4. This is so weak. San Diego's Carly Smithson was voted off American Idol last night. Terrible. Okay. Last two games for the Padres. 35 innings. They've only scored three runs and they've lost both games. These don't sound like good times for the Padres. No, not so much. And, you know, old reliable Trevor Hoffman. No, he is not doing so well. He blew a save in the ninth last night. Just brutal. We're hearing that more. Blows. Maybe it's a, you know, he's going through a thing. A work it out dog. He's getting up through an age. How old is he? 22, 23? I don't think he's that old. 18? Old! 570-1053. That's our phone number.
Let the games begin in one hour. Eddie and B-Rob are going to be facing off in their next challenge in about an hour. Outside the radio station, everyone's invited. And I'm talking everyone is invited. Eddie and Boston Rob will compete in two of the hardest challenges ever offered up in the world of sports. It takes skill. It takes precision. They even say it takes talent. It takes endurance. It takes a village. It takes a village, I heard. It's wild. What we're talking about is bocce ball and horseshoes. Yes. And Eddie and B-Rob will be competing in bocce ball and horseshoes outside the radio station 7 o'clock this morning. Ashley will be lighter. The torch is being run here right now by former members of the Mikey Show. Boy Blunder is coming around right now.
He's now running. He's been walking for 25 minutes. Pussing and pussing every step of the way. He's doing it. He's doing great stuff. He'll hand it off to Bobby Kernels, and Bobby Kernels will run it in here. Bobby. Bobby. So let the games begin here in one hour. That's right. Eddie, are you ready for this? Yes, I'm feeling fresh. I'm feeling taut. Yes. I'm feeling hot. Weird. Did you put on some sort of lotion and makes the skin tight? No, I just feel real good. Okay. Real fresh. All right. Limber. You're limber, but you're also taut. Yeah, exactly. Wow, that's impressive. I'm like taffy. You're like taut taffy. Have you ever had loose taffy? Exactly. Exactly. Good point. 570-1053 is our phone number. You can call us right now about anything you want, cowboy.
Doesn't matter what it is. My name's Mikey. I'm the host of the show. There's six people, or excuse me, seven people. Me, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston Rob, Zeth. Wow. Yeah. I'm 37. Eddie's 35. Sky is 30. Let's see. Sean is 38. Ashley's 24. Boston Rob's 25. Zeth's the youngest. He's 23. That's it? One day we'll be doing this show and we'll get around to Zeth and he will be the youngest at 43. I'll say that. How would that make Sean? Oh, my goodness. Sean would be 68. I'll never make it. I will absolutely be dead by then. He'll be 58. Sean is convinced. How old will you make it to, Shawnee? I would say just over 50, I think. There you go. That's ridiculous. Just over 50. Sean has a good 12 years left.
It's going to be a good 12. All right. I'm glad you're spending it with us. That's right. Us and a lot of bad movies. Wow. That's hurtful. I got a printer yesterday. Oh. Yeah, and I realized the guy that was selling it to me, he didn't know anything about printers. He didn't know anything about this particular printer. What was interesting was he was telling me everything about it, but he didn't know anything about it. No. That's right. I got home, and I realized, man, nothing he said is right. Oh. Now, it didn't mean that anything was wrong or that anything was bad or anything like that. It works and everything. It's just all the stuff he said. So it can't really make quesadillas? It can do. Yeah, exactly. It can do everything. But it'd be like, let's say that it makes quesadillas. Yeah. And let's say that it makes. Let's say that it makes quesadillas and the way that you make the quesadilla is that you put it under the glass and it'll make a quesadilla. Obviously. Okay. Well, this guy says, yeah, it'll make a quesadilla. And it's really great the way that it makes it. You don't put anything anywhere. You wake up the next morning and there's a quesadilla. And then you open up the packaging and it says, now remember, you cannot go to sleep and wake up and it makes a quesadilla.
That's what it was like. What are you going to do? It was making me think about the whole customer service, how different it is from now to 20 years ago. It was just different. Everybody was super... They had to be real good at that stuff. Yeah, they had to be knowledgeable about what they were selling. But the more time that goes by, you realize every company in the world wants to make bigger profits and they want to cut costs so they hire... eight-year-olds to work at the place. You know, it used to be an adult man. Now it is not. It is not an adult man. Went to dinner last night, was walking to the bathroom. And as I was walking to the bathroom, I noticed that 50% of the people that I saw, it was pretty crowded, 50% of the people that I saw were doing stuff on their cell phone.
Before I got up to go to the bathroom, I was doing stuff on my cell phone. Wow. And that got me thinking. Like at the dinner table or waiting for a table? At the table, sitting at their table. That's quite telling. Really? Yeah, what I'll do is I'll take my cell phone out and I'll turn it on to see is anything going on. Last time I checked, there was 20 emails. Is there now 24 emails? And if there are, I just want to see what they are. I don't want to read them. I just want to see who is it from, what's the subject. And your wife doesn't mind that? No, because it's usually very quick. It looks like this. It's like this. Okay, so we're sitting at dinner. And I'll even be talking to you. I'll go, yeah, so you know what? On Saturday, I'm thinking about the draft and what I'm going to do and all that stuff. Just put it down. Oh, there it was. And so that's how it'll go. Oh, okay. Okay, so it's not like you're like all into it. I just want to see what's going on. My buddy B-Dub, you guys know B-Dub. Yeah. Drives me nuts. He's got a BlackBerry. Uh-huh. And it's literally every 30 seconds, picks it up, does the check, I guess, and puts it back down. And I'll be in the middle of a conversation with him, and I'll be like, he can't help it. It's like he's addicted to checking the BlackBerry. That's why they call it CrackBerry. Yeah. It drives me nuts. My boyfriend does that, too. Yeah. It drives me nuts. Rebecca will do it, too. Yeah. You know? And we do it because we...
We have developed a lifestyle that requires communicating with people all the time. All the time. Now, when I say we, I don't mean everybody. I mean the 50% of the people that I saw in the restaurant and myself. I've got to look at those emails and see who it's from, what it's about, and then I put it down. But I also thought to myself. I wonder, does this create, myself including this, does this create a self-absorbed culture? Like where we're not really, maybe we're kind of interested in the person that's with us, but what we're mostly interested in is the phone and the emails and the stuff, you know? Like we want to know what's up. Always got to know what's up. What's up? Yeah, talk about like how times have changed. I remember back in the day, my parents didn't want us to watch TV while dinner was going on. We had to be involved in everybody's day and what was your day like and this. This whole thing. Now, it's like... Forget it. Not even close to being like that. Forget it. That TV's got to be on. Well, if the TV's not on, this is almost the thinking now. If the TV's not on, what are you going to do? Like I have to talk to you? Come on.
Eddie is our sports guy. He is our producer. He is 35 years old, and he's Italian, so he might be good at this bocce ball thing. I am. And the horseshoes, too. What's the Italian advantage? Well, it's an Italian game. Yeah, bocce ball. Yes. It's invented by the Italians, I think. It is. So genetically, Eddie's just better. Absolutely. It's the same reason that you're pretty good at the hip-hop stuff. You got .001. Percent African-American. It's true. So you got rhythm, you know? You can't help that you can boogie. That's true. I can't help that I got junk in the trunk. Yeah, yeah. I'm black. You know what I mean? Genetic. That's all I'm saying. Eddie throws him some bocce. I throw a mean bocce. My friend Tim, I play bocce over at his house. Yeah. And they don't want me to play over anymore because I destroy bocce. Oh, I love it. Oh, I love it. But, you know, I just decided to mention that right now. Yeah. Oh. Interesting. Telling. Rob. Anyway. Sky's our news girl. She's 30 years old, and she's been pretty cool about the Giants winning last night. I mean, she hasn't said a word about it. Nope. I was very cool. You were not very cool. Oh, no. Let's talk about this. Before you guys say anything, let me explain to the listeners. When we were all at the game. Opposite of cool. Our friend Amy, she has this Skybox.
at Petco. And every once in a while, the Skybox becomes available. And so she offers it to the Mikey Show. And so everybody except for Sean and I, Sean lives in the Bay Area, and we actually had a growth group last night. So everybody except for us went. And Rob. Rob didn't end up going. Rob didn't go? No. Oh, come Rob. I had already gone downtown twice yesterday. Plus I was stressed about my goatee. They don't want to be seen in public. So Rob didn't go either. Okay, so. But the rest of us were there. Eddie, she was not cool. You're saying she was not cool. No, opposite of cool, Mike. Liking the Giants. Here's the deal. You know, the Padres winning the whole game, won nothing. I didn't even, like, Sky, was she even there? Like, was she watching the game? Didn't see her? She was socializing. I was socializing in the beginning. She was, but she wasn't paying attention to the game. Yeah. And so, ninth inning comes out. Trevor blows a save. He gives up a dinger. And all of a sudden, out of the blue, comes this wild-haired, crazy lady. screaming in our faces. I was excited. And I'm like, you weren't even paying for the game. How did you even know that they had a home run? I was at the end. Oh, it was a period. So did you guys, you guys stayed the whole game? No, no. Yeah, most everybody left except for the Boo and I. I was disgusted. And a couple other people. So you left at the 9th? No, I left at the 12th.
They all left at the ninth once the Padres blew. Oh, I'm sorry. How many innings did it go? Thirteen. Oh, boy. Yeah, so I didn't get home until 11 o'clock last night. Oh, sky. Yeah. Right? Right? Oh, my. Yeah. You practically pulled an all-nighter. Yeah, pretty much for us. Yeah, that's an all-nighter. Yeah, good. You know, four hours of sleep last night. Aye, aye, aye. Yeah. Shawnee O'Boy is our sound effects guy. He is the oldest person on the show at 38 years old, which means that he is the most mature of all of us. Wives. Very wise. Opposite. Ashley is our assistant producer. Cute as a button. She's got blonde hair, brown eyes. Let's see. What's she showing me? Oh, she's got her video camera. Everybody say hello. Hello. She's got her little video camera. How's Eddie look? What's up, Eddie? Real sweet. Say hi to the camera. Eddie's confused. I'll put this on the website. I don't know. Say hi, man. I don't know why, but she's... Oh, you look good. The stability on this thing is money. Thank you. Thank you. You're talking about me, right? Stability on me? Oh, man. Oh, you look good. Ash is going to start making little videos. Hey, Robbie. I gave her some...
some software that you can make videos with and stuff, except that I forgot that you have to, like, have, I guess, the code to unlock it. So, yeah, I told her good luck with that. We're going to figure it out, Mike. Yeah, we'll somehow figure it out. We're going to make videos. Yeah, well, there's only so many, you know, numbers and letters out there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Why don't we just think of a 10 combination and just go for it? Yeah, we'll figure it out. Let's see. Boston Rob is our... phone screener. He is our phone screener and he is also engaged to be married. Uh, something else of interest. He had a goatee for six years and he shaved it off. He is now, he doesn't have a goatee anymore. That's right. I don't know. And he's, and what he did was he kept the mustache part. So it's very Tom Selleck, you know, it's very magnum. Yeah. And so you got it. Um, He was out yesterday doing some What You're Doing at the Courthouse. Rob says he met a complete stranger, told him he'd pray for him. It was a trip. What happened? I got to talking with this chick who was down at the courthouse. I don't know how we got into it, but she started telling me about...
What had happened with her son, her son passed away. I guess she was real young. I could tell. You can tell when someone's kind of broken up, especially over something like that. But, like, she still, like, wasn't healed. And I could just feel it, you know? Like, shaky voice and all that. And she was dealing with the courts about everything that had gone down. And I just, out of the blue, I was like, you know what? I'm going to pray for you. And I got her name and I got her son's name and all that. It was pretty wild because I'm not that kind of person. How was she about that? Because you're a stranger. Yeah. Well, right after she asked me if I read the Bible, and then we just got into it. Really? Yeah. So she was cool. Yeah. It was kind of a trip, though, because I was just kind of throwing it out there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, I didn't know if she was going to walk away and think I was some crazy person. You never know who you're dealing with downtown. That's right. Rob's almost done paying off his DUI, too. No, no, no. Done. You're done? Oh, my God. Get out of here. Oh, crap. The payment went through. Everything cleared. Well, of course it did. It was a cashier's check. I mean, how can that go wrong? You went into the bank, got the check. Right. How long did that take you? Three years. Look at you. Wow. Can you guys believe that was three years ago? No. It was three years ago. Wow. Check it out. This is what happened. Rob didn't show up to work one day. Yeah. And so somebody suggested that we go on the sheriff's department's website and search his name, and there he is.
I swear it was a listener that called in and was like, B-Rob's in jail. And we're like, what? That's how we found out. But that kid's turned it around. He's doing real good. Well, his name is Roosevelt Zethian Oates III Jr. Esquire. And I bet he was happy to have food last night. Yes. It was awesome. In the skybox. Dude. What? That kid over there. It was like watching Kobayashi. Oh, my. Oh, wow. They had these little mini corn dogs, which were the ball. Talk about it. They were the ball. They were the ball. And I look over, and he brings his plate. Rob looks like he's about to cry. Rob loves mini corn dogs. This guy always has them at her house. He's got a plate that's the size of Mount Rushmore. I'm like, what are you doing, dude? It was mounded. He ate them all in like 10 minutes. Less than 10 minutes. It was crazy. Where do you fit that? He's so tall and lanky. Where does it go? I don't know, but it's in there. He's young. Yeah, that's it.
5701053 is the number. P1 Carissa is on the line. Carissa, are you... You've been listening to the show for a while? Yeah. Tell everybody what a P1 is. P1 are people that listen to you every morning. I'm pretty sure. Yeah, that is correct. You sound very young. How old are you? 15. What were you calling about? I'm calling about my boyfriend. Like, he's been asking me to hang out with him a lot. But... It always ends up that he ditches me with his friends and they'll go and, you know, like, they'll be drinking or doing drugs. And, like, it's kind of bothering me because, like, he'll come back and he'll be, like, completely out of it. What a trip, man. She's 15 years old. I don't know that we've taken a call like this. No, we haven't. I don't think we have, huh? No. I'm sitting there going, wow, 15. So you're in high school. How old is he? He's 15 also. Oh, gosh. So what is your question? I mean, specific. What should I do about it? Oh. It's, you know, like... Do you mean what should you do for him, or do you mean what should you do for you? Like, what should I do for me? I mean, like, you know, I try talking to him about it, and it's just like, you know, he'll be like, oh, okay, well, you know, I won't do it around you. Well, he doesn't do it around me, but, you know, he ditches me to not do it around me. Are your mom and dad together? No, they're divorced. When did they get divorced? Oh, when I was six. Yeah.
Who you live with, your ma? Yeah. Have you told your ma this? Mm-mm. Because probably if you told her, what would she say? She would kill me. She would get mad. Yeah. You know what anger is? Kind of. It's hurt, sadness, and fear. So she would be all three in that situation. Sometimes it's just one. Right. Sometimes you're just afraid. Yeah. It's scary for a parent. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's scary because you're not sure what's going to happen. You're like, is she going to get preggo? Yeah. Is she going to start doing drugs? Is she going to do drugs? Yeah. You know, so you got that. And then you're sad because you're like, oh, it's my baby. It's my girl. And then you're hurt, too, because you're like, I can't believe this bad influence dude around her. So, you know, you got all three of them going. And so you'd be mad. But your mom's not really angry. What she really is is hurt and sad and fearful. So what should you do? Well, chances are this is the big percentage game.
The percentages are in whatever I tell you is good info to be in your brain, but you're going to do whatever you want to do, Carissa, because you're very young. And that even applies to somebody at 38. I could ask somebody for advice, but basically even at 38 years old, I'm going to take that advice and I'm going to let it rattle around and then I'm going to do whatever I want. And so here comes my advice and use it for what it's worth. My advice is that you tell him, hey, listen, I know that you're still doing this stuff. And it really bums me out and makes me uncomfortable. And I really like being with you and everything. But the only way that I can really see myself being with you is if you're not doing that stuff. And that doesn't mean doing it and then lying to me that you're not doing it. It means like really not doing it. And so you just have to make a choice. If you decide that you want to do the drinking and the drugs and all that stuff.
man, I'm going to be bummed and everything, but at least you're making a choice. You know what I mean? And then if you don't and you decide that you want to be with me, I'm going to be super stoked, but you just have to really commit to just being with me and not doing the other stuff. That would be my advice, Carissa, and then you can take it from there. Okay. All right? All right, thank you. Hey, and also one more thing. Really have a super honest talk with your mom. And tell your mom what's going on. But before you tell her, say, so I want to tell you something. And I called this DJ on the radio and he said that I should tell you that I'm going to tell you, but that I normally wouldn't tell you because you'd be mad at me. And he says it's a really good idea to tell you that. Skye's got something, too. Well, and I just want to say, I know it's scary to talk to your parents about things like that, but just out of everything you've told us, how this concerns you, your boyfriend's behavior, how you don't like your boyfriend's behavior, I don't know your mom, but I think she'll be very, very proud of you for standing up, you know, and not doing that kind of stuff. Yeah, what I'm hoping for your mom is that if you tell her that you want to tell her stuff, but you don't because she's going to get mad.
Hopefully it makes her go, oh man, me getting mad is getting in the way of my daughter telling me stuff. See, I think that as a parent, maybe you are going to feel anger. Now, if you use the tool that I'm telling you about, about the hurt, sadness, and fear and knowing which one it is, you just take a second before you actually get angry. process it, and then you talk to them because then they want to come back to you. You know, if you don't get mad, it's okay to say to your kid, man, that hurts me because I really love you so much and this kid that you're seeing, man, that influence, man, it kind of weirds me out. And then I'm also really sad because you're my kid and I really love you. And then I'm fearful because I'm afraid that you might get prego or you might start drinking and doing drugs. See, that's honest. That's really honest. See, this is really good. Anger will... Rob, how'd it go? Anger something anger. Anger provokes anger. Feelings provoke feelings. Anger provokes anger. Feelings provoke feelings. So if you go, you... What you get back is... And if you go, hey, I really care about you. And I...
Usually, what you get back is... Oh. You see what I'm saying? Yeah. It's really cool. So try that, Carissa. Okay. All right, cool. Good luck. Hey, wait a minute. Is school out? What's going on? Are you in school or what's going on? School doesn't start for another half hour. Yeah, Mike. So why don't you just look into that for a little while with your high-powered perception, okay? Thank you, Carissa. You're welcome. That was fun. P1, you can't handle the truth is online. What up? What's up? Hey, about two months ago, I bought my lady a nice, beautiful diamond ring, engagement ring. She loved it. Everything was great. I engaged her. I asked her to marry me on Super Bowl Sunday, right after the game, and it was great. Everything's perfect. Well, on Monday night, she went into a public restroom, took her ring off.
and left it on the shelf, and now it's gone. So how are you living? I ain't living too well, Whitey, I can tell you that much. Are you upset? I'm more than upset, and I'm not allowed to get upset at anybody. You know what I mean? What do you mean? Well, she's upset, so somebody's got to be strong. I can't yell at her. I can't yell at her. She's beside herself. I'm sure she's heartbroken. Oh, God. It's really devastating. I mean, my issue is, is what do I do? You know, who do I, who do I yell out? Who do I get mad at? Who do I, I mean... Eddie, what do you think? Well, you know, I mean, there is nobody that you can really get mad at. But all you can do is just, you know, I always look at stuff like that and go, you know what, man, that's...
That's just a material thing. You have the love of your lady, and that's all that really matters. I mean, it sucks that, dude, that's basically money down the drain, but you know what? That money will come back to you. You do the right things, and everything will work out, man. It's just a ring. It's just a ring in the end. It sounds good to me. It sounds good. I tell myself that just like you guys, but at the same time, you're upset. You're mad. I feel you. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. Well, isn't that what friends are for? Yeah, this guy's right. Isn't that what your friends are for? You know, you can vent to your friends and express your frustration to them. It's real embarrassing to her, though, you know? I don't want to talk to everybody about it. And then everybody calls, and you know what they ask? Oh, where's the last place you saw it? Well, I'll tell you this, dude. I mean, everybody asks the same exact things, and it just really upsets you more than anything. You answer the same questions left and right, left and right, you know? Hey, dude. No rhyme or reason for it. Hey, brother. Yeah. I think that what you did was great. You called us. Mm-hmm. And you spend every morning with us. Yeah, that's right. So, technically, that makes us your friends. It's my first time calling, and I just dropped her off at the train station. She went to work in L.A. today. Yeah. And I woke up this morning just really upset with her. Yeah. And I didn't act like I was upset with her, but I was upset with her, and I just had a...
I don't know. I just figured it out. I called them like you should see what they got. Yeah, yeah. I think that we'll see. I think that's a good idea because you spend every morning with us anyway and technically that makes us your friends and you have gotten it off your chest because you just talked about it. So I think you're going to be, that's going to be half of it. Yeah, dude. And there's going to be a time when you do something really boneheaded and she's going to be mad at you. And I wouldn't necessarily do that. I wouldn't necessarily do that. But just just realize, you know, you're doing the right thing. You know, don't get mad at her. It wasn't her fault. She made a mistake. You still have her and you're so lucky to have love in your life. So focus on the positives. And it's all good, bro. Don't be above just plagiarizing somebody's material. Why don't you get Kenny Rogers song, Lady, write down the lyrics to it and then give it to her like a letter that. You pretend you wrote. You're like, lady, I'm your knight in shining armor, and I love you. She's like, wow, I didn't even know he's really romantic. Well said. You know what I'm saying? That's really romantic. Thank you. Thank you very much. P1AJ, what's up? Mikey, how's it going? Good. I did some research for Eddie about the demon spawned black and white creatures of the sea. Yes, that is the killer whales. Yes.
most evil diabolical creature on Earth. Yes, so what did you find? No. In the past 25 years, there was over 19 attacks, two fatalities, and the most... Oh, look at that. We accidentally got disconnected with that guy. He can't hear that. Typical media. It's only going to make matters worse. Can't hide the truth. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number, 5701053. Get down to 9660 Granite Ridge Drive. That is our location. We will be outside broadcasting live outdoors for the Eddie B. Rob Challenge. Bocce ball and horseshoes just after 7 o'clock. Awesome. Get down here. Now, when we come back, six cases of hepatitis A may be linked to a fast food place here in San Diego. Oh, no. What? Uh-oh. And?
It's a specific location. I'll tell you what it is when we come back. My next-door neighbor just got a pet monkey. I can't explain that. I don't know why anyone gets a pet monkey. I think when you get to the monkey level of pet ownership, have a kid, really. I mean, you're so close. Make that little jump. When you need a pet that can roller skate and smoke cigars, it's time to think about a family, don't you think? I mean, you can't even do anything with a monkey because... Monkeys, he has a little leash for it, you know, like he's going to walk it. But monkeys don't walk anywhere. Any place a monkey has to be, yeah, he's already there. You know what I mean? They just, yeah, he's there. He's on the wall. Yeah, he's on your head. Yeah, pull. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They're so wired. Their faces, that face skin is pulled so tight. It's just, that's the look you have on your face when you come that close to being the dominant species on your planet and you don't make it. You're just, I was so close. I had the thumbs.

And a traffic alert has been issued, advising you to avoid that for a good reason there. 805 northbound, a much better way to go right now out of the South Bay. And then some reduced speeds as you wind your way through that construction zone at a Rancho Bernardo and a Carmel Mountain Ranch. What's going on? Not much. Just calling in and talking about thank you for the AIS tips. I had multiple DUIs, full SR22, all that stuff. I lost my license for like two years.
And when I got it back, I couldn't find an insurance company that would even take me. AIS found me one, and they saved me like $240, $230 or so from what the other insurance companies were quoting me if they would actually take me on. Really? Yeah. Well, good for you. Yeah, it's great. I went down to the Escondido office, got everything all squared away. Were they cool to you? Oh, dude, they're awesome, dude. I mean, you're always talking about how they've got P1s working there. It's cool, man. We sat there. After we got everything signed up, we talked about the Mikey show for like 10 minutes. That's awesome. Thank you, dude. I appreciate you. All right. We'll see you. The phone number to AIS, 1-800-777-4247. 1-800-777-4AIS. Mankind has been protected by the heroic tandems, but the loot has never seen a pair quite like this. Yeah. Yeah. Harold, Harold. Sorry, man, I forgot. Harold and Kumar are back. You just blew my mind. Critics are calling Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay the wildest. Yeah, dude. Ballsiest. Oh, my God, dude. That looks like Osama Bin Laden's beard. Raunchiest comedy of the year. What's up with this party? I'm sick of all the hype over. I'm starting the bottomless trend. Hi, boys. It's not just as good as the first one.
It's better. In less than eight hours, we're going to be in Amsterdam. It's going to be exactly like Eurotrip, only it's not going to suck. Harold and Kumar. Escape from Guantanamo Bay. It's the Mikey Show. Yo, you have audio on that? We got it featuring Mikey. I love Maui. Edit. We don't care. We love it. Poison men rules. Sky. I'm the most liberal, accepting person. Sean. I'm the most liberal. He's big. Very well behaved. Just eats his food. I'm just happy to have food. And Ashley. I will use an obscene amount of toilet paper. The Mikey Show is on. It's kind of like a stink lineup. Sure, yes. You know. Rock 105.3. Ashley said that her and her fella, Mark, are starting a diet today. They certainly weren't doing it last night. Was it the last day, Ash? Is that why it was the day before? Oh, yeah. Kind of your last supper? Yeah. Well, everybody.
What is this about? Because you both are skinny minis. Yeah, you're both skinny. Ah. Sometimes. Oh, no. Sorry. And I thought he said he likes you more curvy. Um, I'm, I feel huge right now. Oh, my goodness. I'm really uncomfortable with the way that I feel. Oh, no. We're starting. I'm uncomfortable. Ash. I'm uncomfortable with. But you're not. You're very thin. I mean, you've just lost, like, 20 pounds in the past, like, four months. Yeah, and then I gained, like, seven and a half. And he does, too. Your boyfriend, he looks great. He needs to gain weight. Yeah, he does. So his diet is about gaining weight? Like, literally, I need to lose eight pounds. He needs to gain eight pounds. Oh, my goodness. So this is our thing. So we're going to do it together because we eat. We're going to, like, diet, like, eat the same foods because we cook together. And, you know, he goes to the gym every day. I'll do my yoga. And we're going to rock it. What's up? I have pictures of my refrigerator as gold. Like, have you guys seen Seven? Remember Sloth? Right at the end. That's what I'm going for. You don't want that. All right.
Welcome back. It's 643. There will be a meeting today to discuss changing North County's area code from 760 to 442. Oh, no. Pac-Man Jones is traded to Dallas for a fourth-round pick. Still not reinstated, though. Have they signed like O.J. Simpson? They seriously, the Dallas Cowboys, they don't care. No. They don't care. They kind of look for people that have shady paths. Right, right, right. They're like, they time you and you're shady. Yeah. I think Scott Peterson's the new backup quarterback. Exactly. Seriously. He's like, he's perfect. Welcome back to the show. So, yeah. Hepatitis A. Now. Everyone's favorite hepatitis. Yeah. Which one are you? A, B, or C? Take your pick. I don't know what they all are. I can tell you what hepatitis A, how you get that. What is it? Hepatitis through. Fecal matter. That is true. It's a viral infection that attacks the liver and is spread by fecal contamination of water or food. Enjoy your meal. That is so depressing. Oh, my God. Okay. So, Skye, what is the story here? Well, six people in San Diego County have come down with hepatitis A, which is, you know, kind of rare. How do they treat it? Do we know? Antibiotics, maybe?
I don't know. Because if it's an infection, I guess, that would make sense. I don't know. If there's a doctor in the house, 570-1053. Eddie, tell us, you're a doctor. Where is there a doctor? We need a doctor. Or text us at 35253. Just because I have a stethoscope. You do. You have one around your neck right now. You're using a stethoscope as headphones. That's the weirdest thing. I'm listening to Skye's heart. That's weird. It's a little more to the... Yeah, it's Eddie. I would try right in the middle. That's inappropriate. Anyway, so, you know, six cases pop up in San Diego County over like a month or so. So they try and, you know, they talk to these people and try and find similarities in their habits to try and find out where this came from. And something that all six people shared in common is they all ate at Chipotle Mexican Grill in La Mesa. Oh, my gosh.
Did they order the fecal burrito? So it has not been confirmed yet, but these cases may be linked to that fast food restaurant and all of the employees at the restaurant are being tested and they're going in and testing the facility. How much? Eddie, come on. How much? Just stop. Now listen, I saw this story on the news last night. The restaurant has an A. Do you immediately think of Sean? Yeah. It has an A grade. It got an A grade. No way. I think when they do those grades, I don't think that they grade the employees' hands. No, they do not. They grade how clean the place is. The surfaces. If you're refrigerating things at correct temperatures. They should start grading the people. Now, listen. The people have been tested, the employees, and they're all coming up clean. So far. Not all the tests are back yet. I realize that.
I wonder how many are still out there. They're on the radar. They're on the radar, all that stuff. I want to know how much money it would take for Sean to go into that restaurant and eat. I won't do it. That is a great question. Why in the world would I want to do that? I'll tell you why. Because I think that there is a suitcase full of hundreds that will do it. We just have to get to whatever that number is. There's no way I could give myself hepatitis. $100,000. I'm not going to give myself hepatitis. Who says you're going to get it? Who says I'm not? Listen, we've got to say this. We don't know that it's this restaurant that's causing it. It's just that that is something that they share in common. That doesn't mean... Sean's not having it. Sean is not. Okay, calm down. There's a number. $100,000. That's ridiculous. Too much. Ridiculous. $50,000. No, he said no to $100,000, Mike. No, he didn't say no. Did you say no? You're done with $100,000? I said absolutely no. Oh, come on. $200,000. There's no way. I'm not going to give myself hepatitis. You might as well stop. You're not. We're not saying. You're saying, how much will you down here? It's not even a big risk. I'm not saying that I won't either. It's not even a big risk. Calm down, Sean. It's a minimal risk. There is a risk. Very, very slight. Easy.
A risk? Okay. I'll throw something in. If you're able to do it, we'll throw in like a... If you eat the whole burrito, we'll give you a t-shirt that says, I survived the fecal burrito. That would be sweet. Now that would be sweet. You will get free medical care for the rest of your life. No. That was a good one with the guy. He says no, he won't do it. Extra guacamole. P1 Navy Doc. Hyperbaric chamber. Hello. Navy Doc, what were you calling to tell us? You can't really take antibiotics for hepatitis because antibiotics treat bacteria. This is a virus, so they have to take, like, antivirals, like aciclovir, Valtrex for herpes, stuff like that. Oh, my goodness. No way, dude. It's a done deal. Hepatitis, there's five types, A through E, and depending on there's different ways to contact it. But it's also like alcoholics get cirrhosis of the liver. Hepatitis will do the same thing. And you usually have to end up getting a liver transplant. No, thanks. Well, as my mom would say, yucky doodle. What's the coolest hepatitis? Oh, I just hung up. So, yeah, symptoms include nausea, diarrhea, fever, fatigue, dark urine, and jaundice. Dark urine? Yes, watch out for the dark urine. That is scary.
That is scary. It's messing with your liver. I hope they figure that out pretty soon. Yeah, I would like them to resolve that as well. That'd be a really good idea. Yeah. Hey, you guys know what? The 760 area code in North County? They better not, Mike. They're thinking about changing it. Why? They better change. Well, Sky. No. Question, Sky. No, Mike. Well, Sky hates change, man. All my home phone and cell phones are all 760. All right. Leave me, Sky. I'm not having it, you guys. Question. What? Would that mean that some people would retain 760? Yeah, but not in San Diego County. Oh, so it would move over because I know like out in the desert, like Palm Springs. They would get to keep 760 and we would have to change to 442.
I like 442. I do not. Wow. Easy to remember. 760 is expected to run out of numbers within 17 months due to population growth and wireless phones and everything. So they really want to change it. The California Public Utilities Commission is having a meeting today on it to talk about changing it to 442. The phone companies, what they would like them to do is to just give all new. numbers in North County, the 442. Yeah. And then you'd have two area codes in North County, but then they don't like that because then if you were to make a local call in North County, if you were to call 442, you would have to, you know, dial the one and they don't like that. That's the way so many cities do it already. Like, wah. Yeah. We do it. So there's 619-858. Yeah. There's going to be a meeting today to figure that out, but I will not be happy. All right. I will not. I will protest. There's a fish to fry. No. It's crying. No. Would you eat your area? Would you eat your hot springs? Would you eat Indian Wells? Stop it. Okay, check it out. Go online right now.
And you can read our blogs at MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. Eddie, you have to know. What? Have you and Ashley been reading each other's blogs? No, I don't read his blog. I never read his blog. I stay way clear about it. Far from his blog. You really have not checked out her blog. No, I can't, dude. It's infuriating. She puts recipes that are like ridiculous. And I can't read Eddie's. It pisses me off. Pictures of her dog. Talks about sports. I mean, it's like the worst blog ever. Master of the obvious. Get down here. We're at 9660 Granite Ridge Drive. My mom said it's supposed to be hot this weekend. Have you heard that? I hadn't. She, you know, she's kind of good for that because she'll, her and dad watch stuff. Yeah. They're always watching the news, so. She said, I heard it's going to be really hot this weekend. Welcome back. It's 7-0-2. Gene Simmons made a lot of local KISS fans happy yesterday when he held meet and greets at a handful of 7-Elevens around town. Kobe Bryant scored 49 points, leading the Lakers to win over Denver last night in the NBA playoffs. Yeah, so here was Gene Simmons in town yesterday. Cut 30.
This is actually a better product. Everybody talks about energy drinks, but usually they're just cough medicine. This is something that's actually pasteurized. It's Austrian. And there are different flavors. So if you haven't tried it, go to 7-Elevens. Give it a shot. Yeah, he was in town to promote French energy drink. I think he was at like four different 7-Elevens yesterday. I liked that one of the selling points. Well, duh. Is that it's from Austria. They make the best energy drinks. I think that's well known, Mike. Yeah. I mean, what are we thinking about already? Yeah. Wine from Napa and energy drinks from Austria. Austria and Chile, I believe, are the two. Oh, really? Well, they're very well known. Very well known for their energy drinks. Which is not to diminish. The Energy Drinks of Perth, Australia, which is the home, obviously the homeland. The birthplace. The birthplace of Energy Drink. A bunch of fans talking about it. Cut 31. I just want to meet the guy. I mean, he's one of the best rock bands ever. I mean, one of the biggest. I like him a lot better when he's all dressed up in his makeup, spitting out blood paint in his face, you know? Does it freak you out? That's the question. I mean, they don't call him Gene Simmons the demon for nothing. Rock on.
Well, there it is. Okay. 7-Elevens throughout San Diego County yesterday. So, it looks like there was a small landslide at Mount Soledad yesterday. This is all scary, being that there was one not that long ago. Yeah. Makes you think the whole thing is a little unstable. Yeah, about 25 cubic yards of earth slid yesterday on the northwestern. Cannonball! On the northwestern side of Mount Soledad, and they evacuated about four houses in the area just as a precaution. Don't you wish you could take your hands to the little mountain and go, and like pat it and get it all packed in? Yeah, that would help. So go out there and do that. Contact the city. We're all out there. We get a bunch of volunteers to pack with our hands the mountain to hope it stays. Yeah, they think water overflowing from a manhole in the area may have, you know, really saturated. A manhole? Oh, dear. Hey, check it out. Carly Smithson, the chick from San Diego. Stop it. No, Mike. No, Mike. I don't know. Mike, no. Carly Smithson from American Idol is from San Diego. What happened? And this is the deal. She ended up last night, got a little scary for her. She ended up in the bottom two, cut eight. You have given her a tough time. Last night, you say, great job. Your favorite of the night, perhaps. Yet...
Carly is in the bottom two. What has happened? Who knows? You know, this stage, you know, there's only six people left. I mean, Brooke, I think, you know, watching you back last night, I'm not surprised you're there because you made yourself human, you know? And everyone makes mistakes. Jason, you weren't very good, but you were charming. So it came down to Ashley's favorite guy, Jason Castro, right? And Carly Smithson. No, Jason was safe, actually. Oh, who is Jason? What did he say? I'm sorry. It came down to Carly and Saisha. Saisha, okay. Who was awesome as well. Yeah, they were both great. They were like some of the best performances of the night. Two of the best. Get Saisha out of there. I'm overheard. So was it Saisha or was it Carly? San Diego's very own Carly Smithson that went home, cut 11. Carly and Saisha, they got great reviews from the judges. They stand here as the bottom two. And after 38 million votes...
Carly, you are leaving us. Terrible. Terrible show. Worst show ever. What? I know you're surprised. I can hear the reaction in the audience. It is murder. A real star, ladies and gentlemen, Carly Smithson. I have a theory on this. Ashley, go ahead. This is what my boyfriend has been saying since day one about Carly, okay? Because she's so good, and she probably could have won the whole thing, but my boyfriend thinks. My boyfriend thinks. The fact that she has a half sleeve on her arm and would show that half sleeve, that tattoo that covers her shoulder and half her arm. Yeah. Every night, he thinks that that makes people not vote for her as much. They're scared of it. They don't like that half sleeve, you know. You got to think about the demographic that watches that show. Yeah, here in California, it's normal. But in the Midwest, that might not play as well. You got to think.
And my boyfriend was saying, honestly, as it gets closer and closer, she should be covering that up. I think it's affecting her. The votes. He might be right. Yeah, well, I know there was talk in the beginning. Her boyfriend, I mean, her husband, her husband wasn't in the audience. Everybody was like, why? You know, they show everybody else's family. Why isn't her husband there? And he has tattoos on his face. That's right. And so they were saying that he didn't want to be there because he didn't want to ruin her chances by scaring voters with his tattoos. And finally, you know, told him, no, I, you know, I want you there. And then he started the past couple of weeks. He's been there. and they've been putting him and his face tattoos on TV. I wonder, there may be something to that. You never know. Look at his face! It's weak. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's totally stupid. She's a real good singer, right? Awesome. She is. Listen, cut nine. First up, we're going to ask Carly to sing her song. She works at an Irish pub downtown. Ladies and gentlemen, take it away, darling. She's good. She's really good. She is awesome. She is Mike. I love the atmosphere of the park. Petco Park is so beautiful. Yeah. I really love being there, and the food is great. The atmosphere is great. Even though you lost to the Giants, which is pathetic. Oh, shush. Ugh. It might be time for a rant. It's getting close. No, Eddie. Sky, I haven't done one yet this year. That's true. And whenever I rant, the Padres go on winning streaks. And I'm getting close. I'm even thinking about we may need to sign Barry Bonds. I won't even go into it. Oh, my gosh, Eddie. What are you saying? I won't go into it. What are you saying, man? I have thoughts about it. But anyway, got another game of the Giants tonight. Lots of good pitching matchups coming up, which I think are really cool, including this weekend. Padres and D-backs on Sunday, it's going to be the last two Cy Young Award winners going at it. It's going to be Jake Peavy versus Brandon Webb. That is one of the best matchups in baseball this season. So I can't wait to watch that game. But Friday night.
The D-backs are coming to town. Got Mexico opening night. Got a bunch of Mexican-themed entertainment throughout the ballpark. Family fireworks, which are really cool. Saturday, you got a special Saturday afternoon game against the Diamondbacks, which I believe will be on TV on the Big Fox. That network game, they're giving out Padres seat cushions. And then Sunday, that huge matchup with PV going against Webb, they're giving out Chris Young growth posters for kids, which is pretty cool. So lots of big stuff going on with the Padres. Hopefully they'll be able to turn it around starting tonight. And if you need tickets, you can get them at Padres.com. Once, buying a Mother's Day gift was easy. Started with a bad accident involving a big rig and several cars blocking the left lanes here at 24th Street in National City. Traffic is backed up well out of Chula Vista, well before J Street down here. L Street, actually. And it's just a mess in single digits on up. A traffic alert has been issued advising you to avoid that. For a time, the 805 was a good alternate, but a lot of people got the same idea. Now that is very heavy as well.

Because here on The Mikey Show, we're trying to make a better tomorrow. KIOC San Diego's Rock. And now, Rock 105.3 presents the official Mikey Show Summer Game. Featuring the Oracle, Eddie, and the Dirtbag, B-Rob. The chairman of the Summer Games, Mikey. Everyone that wants to come watch to come down here right now. We're at 9660 Granite Ridge Drive. So if you're on the 15, get off at Arrow and head west. Go to the second light. And at the second light, take a left on Daly Center, a right on Granite Ridge. And you'll see the big clear channel complex to your right. Now, it's the easiest way to find us is you could actually park in the front this time because we're in the middle of two buildings. So the building directly to the left.
of the big Clear Channel building, we're right in the middle of it. And so we're on the grassy knoll. We're on the grassy knoll. That's right. Come out and you can find us. We have, let me describe the scene to you. We got some P1s that have showed up to watch this. Make some noise. I don't know if we'll hear you from over there, but got some P1s over there. Have to be out of the way of the essential horseshoe debacle. Well, here's what we have. We have this big green lawn area that we're on in between these two buildings. And our promotion department, has not only set us up, but they have set us up regulation. We are set regulation for bocce ball and horseshoes. They built two square boxes. And the boxes are 13 feet by 13 feet. No, wait a minute. That's for bocce. No, that's bocce. That's bocce. Horseshoes are 40 feet. Yeah, here's for the shoes. Actually, from promotions. How big are these boxes? They're 2 feet by 2 feet. And the stakes are actually 40 feet apart. Okay, perfect. And there's sand in the middle of the box. So two feet by two feet boxes. And sand in the middle with a great big giant steel post. It looks pro. It does. It's regulation. It's all set. Rob, I'm going to tell you right now. I was watching Eddie practice before you came out here. Yeah. Oh, he was practicing. He was cheating. Oh, no. You have a pit at home that you've been practicing on all week. Oh, I forgot about that. I was throwing some shoes yesterday.
It looked horrible. Yeah, but there were actual shoes. You can't afford the horseshoes. I was throwing kids for two hours yesterday. So come out here. This thing is going to get underway. Eddie and B-Rob are competing in bocce ball and horseshoes. We were walking out here, and I said to Eddie, I still don't know that I'm 100% on what bocce ball is. Once you see it, it'll be easy to figure out. It's a fun game. All right, so let's give this thing a shot. Are we going to start? Why not? I mean, what event, Eddie, why don't you pick which one you like? Well, the horseshoe's already set up real easy. We can start with the shoes. All right. I'm all right with that. All right. And as far as who goes first, I think that age should be the determination, seniority. That's not fair. Eddie? Beauty, too. Eddie will go first. Eddie will go first. And Eddie is walking over to the, he's going to be on their two. of these posts set up. One to the north, one to the south. Eddie is walking to the north pole. Have you ever played horseshoes? Never. Actually, I played once with Eddie camping. Eddie is standing just to the right of the north horseshoe pole. Smash, how does this work? Does he get to throw three in a row or do they go 1-1? They go 1-1. Actually, the scoring...
How does the scoring work? The ringers, which means the shoe is completely wrapped around the pole, is worth three points. That's the most you can score. If the shoe is leaning up against the pole, that's worth two points. And then from there, the closest shoe to the stake within a shoe distance, which is six inches, is one point. So it doesn't even matter unless you're within a shoe distance? Exactly. And you'll be keeping score for us? Yeah. Thank you. First one to 11. We'll be playing until 11 a.m. this morning. Yeah, we're going to be here until at least 11 a.m. Okay, Eddie is going first. Eddie is going first. He's got a black horseshoe in his right hand. It's in the air. It's been tossed. That looks nice. It looked really good. It looked really good. It's landed in the back of the box. I don't know if that is going to be a horseshoe's distance from the post. But at least it's in that box. Yeah, it's in the box. Come on, Rob. Rob is now limbering up. He's stretching his neck. He's going to take as long to throw this horseshoe as he does. A mini-mini. Rob is tossing with his right hand. It's in the air, and it is out of the box. Yeah, it landed in the box, but then bounced out of the box. That was frivolous, Rob. That was not what I expected to see from Rob. My first couple, I'm just warming up. I'm trying to figure out where the box actually is. Gotcha, gotcha. Shake it back!
We're playing now, right now. Eddie is tossing now. That's a nice toss. Right underhand. He's got it. Nice throw. That'll probably be a point. Probably. Probably going to touch within arms or within a horseshoe distance. Here comes Rob. Now, I have a question before Rob throws. Smashley, I have a question. Does it matter really where they stand? Because, you know, it looks like they're standing basically the same thing. But what are the rules in terms of where they stand? Oh, technically it's from where the stake is so they can stand off to the side. But I feel like it might be easier for them to stand behind the box to be lined up with the other stake. So as long as you don't pass the stake. Exactly. You're a little handicapped. Got it. All right, Rob. Rob has a red horseshoe. He's taking a deep breath through his nose. It looks like he's going to hock a loogie, but I think he's just. Here he goes. Underhand right. What the? Oh, no. Someone could have got hurt there. It hit the box, and then it flew about eight feet out of the box. So I hit the stake, and that's four points? No. It just chucks it. What you just did is zero points. Rob, you can't throw it all willy-nilly, Rob. Yeah, there's people working around here. There's a lot of windows and glass. I'm not concerned about other people right now. Are you getting that? Eddie is over at his horseshoe picking it up.
He's got a point. He was within one horseshoe distance from the post. P1s, can we hear some applause for that, please? You can put it on the pod. Nice golf claps. Beautiful. Very nice. Well done. Very well done. This is a honk of approval. I did not hit that car with the horseshoe. Honk of approval. Go ahead. I might in a little bit, though. Now, it's like in football when you have to switch end zones. They have now switched over to the south pole. And Eddie will go. They went to the South Pole. Is that a technical term? I believe so, yeah. I used to call this professionally. Eddie is tossing. It's in the air. Nice. Oh, bad bounce. It hit very close to the post and bounced to the ledge. Bad bounce, Mike. Bad bounce. Bad bounce. There you go. You can hear us very upset about him. He's not happy with that. Austin Rob now has his red horseshoe. He's serious. Okay, that was a dorky toss. Hey, there's people over there wrong. That was a dorky toss. I told you it's going to take me a few rounds to warm up.
I don't think that guy should park over there. I don't either. I think Rob should yell four before he throws his horseshoe. Now, the object is to get it the farthest, right? No. Whoever throws it the farthest, because I think mine went in the plants back there. That's 12 feet beyond the box. So that's 12 points, right? No, it is not. You're so confused. I'm very confused. Eddie is so much happier now. He realizes he's playing an infant. How many points does he have? He has a point. Eddie has a point. Eddie is tossing. It's in the air and close. Hit just the outside of the box. It's leaning up against the box. Here goes Rob. Rob is... We're going to be here a while. I know it. Guys, he's got the worst... Throwing style. Look at how he grips it. He doesn't have style. Look at that thing. Whoa. Jeez. Again. The inside of the box bounced way outside of the box. Sorry, Rob. He grips it like he's choking it almost. I think he is choking it. I was trying to choke it. Rob, what is strange is, is that when you actually release, it looks like it sounds like this.
Like when Eddie tosses, Eddie has a look on his face like, there you go. There's a flow to when Eddie tosses. Yeah, Eddie tosses and it goes, there you go. When Rob tosses, it's like... There goes Eddie's toss. Underhand. Concentration. It's in the air. Nice throw. Oh, nice! That was the best one. Yeah, that was the best one yet. It's almost a ringer. It's still 1-0, right? It's almost a ringer. Okay. What the heck? We're not even facing the cars right now. We're not even facing the cars. Rob, are you ready? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think it's because Rob is hitting cars when he's throwing his... I did not. Don't say that. I'm going to get in some trouble. Go ahead. Oh, man. Oh, my God. That is so annoying. Don't let that get in your way, Rob. We don't have P1s doing that on purpose. That is seriously as distracting as your chin. That's right. Great point, great point. Skye, I promise you, I didn't ask P1s to do that when Rob was throwing. I promise I didn't. I promise I didn't. Hard to believe, but okay. That would be wrong. All right. Go ahead, Rob. Rob is concentrating. He is so shy. And it's in the air. This time, it did not make it into the box. It's cute. It fell about a foot. I can't find that ring there. What is in there?
expert, does height have anything to do with this game? I don't even know what that question means. It looks like it. Clearly it does. Now, Rob did have a different look when he threw that time. This time the look was more like... Oh, okay. Well, that didn't work either. He only got one point. Here goes Eddie. Eddie has two points. You got to swing down. It's in the air. Oh, dude. That might be another point. Maybe another point. That might be another point. So how many points is he looking at, possibly two? Three. Three. Okay, I can tie it right here. I'm going for the tie. Oh, my God. You're so. There it goes. Boston Rob. Now, Boston Rob, if you get a dead ringer, you could tie the game. If you get a dead ringer. He's like Johnny Knoxville's ringer more than he is. Yeah, that is true. Here goes Boston Rob. Hi-ya. Okay, again. Not even hit the box. Didn't hit the box. I'm even throwing it over the box or under the box. We've noticed. He's throwing a foot from the box. What I was trying to do last time was bounce it into the box. Idiot. Yeah, you probably shouldn't do that. What? That didn't look very good, Rob. Yeah, weird. Eddie is picking up his... Now, Eddie, can we take a break or are we good? Let's do one more and we'll take a break. Three to zero is the current score. Let me get a chance to get on the board here. Score, by the way.
Three nothing. Yes. Sure we're not. Three nothing, Eddie. First to five, Mike. Sure we're not doing. We may have to amend that. First to five. Eddie is about to toss. Underhand. It's in the air. It looks good. And. Ouch. Leaned up against the box. Yeah. Leaned up against. Just after the box. and flail and spin out of control in the air like Rob says. That's a good point. Rob does have the equivalent of a sloppy ball. Yeah. Rob, it's not a frisbee. A lot of people have told him that. That's not what I thought. Great, Mike. Just make it worse. Way to go. There goes Rob and... Oh! He's in the box, at least. Rob may have scored his first point. Maybe. He's actually in the sand now. Maybe he did. There goes Eddie. Eddie's got the concentration. Hand down. Up in the air. There goes the horseshoe. Oh! Well, whatever Rob just did, Eddie undid it. Yeah, now I have to get it around the ring. Around the ring? Okay, Eddie, you definitely scored a point. Whether or not Rob did is in question. I don't know that he did. We'll have to measure. But Eddie did. So it's 4-0. This may be a shutout. Wow. Way over the box. Okay, Rob just threw, and I did the sound effect.
I don't need you doing that while I'm shooting. I'm having enough trouble. I've got to let people know what it sounds like when you throw. I'm just doing the look on your face. And that did not land in the box. It landed outside the box and beyond the box. So not good. Now, Smash, does Rob get a point for his or no? Eddie's shot canceled Rob's. Nice. Sorry about that, Rob. What rules are we? We are playing those this time. Smash, what is the score? It's a 4-0 Eddie. Can we hear it for Eddie, please? We're going to take a quick timeout, and when we come back... When we come back, it'll be round two. Yeah, I'm going to score six points right off the bat. That's right. Good luck with that. Don't go away. We'll be back in a minute. We're outside the radio station right now.
And as the summer gets rolling, we'll be doing more stuff out here. And what we're doing right now is this horseshoes and bocce ball. And here is the goal in horseshoes. The first person to get to 11 points is the winner. And that's probably another two points. So Eddie is now at 10 points. And Boston Rob is at zero. This is really a scene. Wait, what? You have seven? Okay, so that's going to be nine. That's going to be nine. So that means Eddie nine, Boston Rob zero. But Boston Rob has just been psyching everybody out the whole time. Well, he told us during commercial he's actually warmed up now. Yes. So now he's going to be. Oh, good. Right. Only one in the pit. He's only got one in the pit. One in the pit. No points. One in the pit. All right. Here he goes. You just take game on. All right, Rob. Now you're weird. Okay. So Eddie nine.
Eddie, nine. As long as that's touching. That would be eight. That would be eight. Yeah. So eight nothing. But Rob is concentrating. Hi-ya. Okay, that didn't work. I like how he blames you. I'm just doing his. He goes, oh, jeez, Mike. I'm just doing the audio version of what your face said. Nice. I could do it with Eddie, too. Eddie's face just said, here we go. In the box, but not a point. Yeah, it is. Your face kind of is saying that. It is saying hi-ya. All right, let me say. Here goes Rob. Wow, that actually worked in your favor, Rob. That might be a point, Rizzy. Maybe your first point, Rob. Maybe a little baby point. Rob made it in the box. It looks like it's sort of close. Oh, I see. Oh, and that cancels it out. Oh, okay. Sorry, Rob. Oh, because Eddie's was closer. So Eddie has eight. Rob still has nothing.
Just got to get to 11 points. Yeah. The Oracle is about to throw. He's wearing his Bruce Lee t-shirt. I think it's helping. Bring it home, Eddie. Definitely. Eddie's face says, there you go. Bring that baby home. Another good one. Yep. Here goes Rob. Rob is limbering up his shoulders. What'd you work on at the gym yesterday, Rob? Is he trying to make himself taller? Traps. Ah, the traps. Yeah. The traps, Mike. Here he goes. It's in the air. And, oh, you know, by default, by default, he may have scored a point. I meant to do that. You did not mean to do that. You meant to hit the board and have it spin around. And then, okay. Eddie is throwing. Don't think so. And all in a day's work is what that just said. Nice. In the box. Here goes Rob. Oh, Rob. This is going to be interesting. It's in the box as well. See if anybody gets a point. So we're going to score this. We're going to score this. Boston Rob is running up dinkily to see what happened. So excited. Smashley from Promotions is doing the measurements right now. What do we got? Nothing. No points. No points. Eddie's was very close. Boston Rob is cleaning off his horseshoes. Eddie's about to toss. Complete confidence.
So weird. Oh, nice throw. It's in the sand, in the box. Boston Rob, limbering up the traps. He's about to throw. Underhand in the air and... Ridiculous. Made a bounce. Made a bounce and landed on the sidewalk. Eddie's taking a look. Horseshoe in the air. Oh, that one lands out of the box as well. It hits the sand, bounces out, in the box. Out of the box. Boston Rob. That one's in the box. But far from the post. That was probably no points for anyone. Boston Rob sauntering over, jogging over to the box. Doing some measurements of his own this time. Smashley from promotions letting him know, sorry buddy, no points again. Not happening. Eddie is dusting off his horseshoes. He's concentrating. He's looking. His arm is underhand and bad throw. It's raining against the box. Boston Rob said what? It happens to the best of us. Here goes Boston Rob. Giant smile on Rob's face. What kind of throw was that, Rob? Again, it is not a frisbee guy. That is in the box, but far from the post. In my travels, I picked up a lot of different horseshoe throwing techniques. Eddie's horseshoe in the air, and it touches, it grazes the post as it flies over it, lands in the box, leaning against.
The boss. Rob looks... Dude, you're going to hurt someone. Stop it, Rob. Please, there's people over there. He looks like he's bowling. Yeah, that really did look like a bowling move. That did, yes. I don't... Rob, you're confused. We're playing horseshoes. Well, the ridiculous thing is that you can tell that he's trying to put a spin on it or something. Yes, yes. Tough guy, horseshoe throw. Yeah. We get it. Like, I've got technique. Yeah, we get it. You work out. Okay. There goes Eddie. Beautiful. Oh, nice. That may be a point. Nice throw on Eddie's point. On Eddie Clark. Very close to the post. All right. I'm feeling a point here. All right. It's been about 35 tries, so I'm feeling a point right here. Rob, I can tell you it's going to be tough because Eddie landed so close to the post that time, it's going to cancel out almost anything you do unless you get a dead ringer. Yeah. So good luck. Here he goes. Oh. Nothing. Dude, not even in the box. Yeah, not even in the box. But he said he was feeling that. He goes, Eddie, complete confidence. Oh. Oh. Eddie's horseshoe lands in the box. It's towards the corner of the box. And I think it knocked his other one out. Oh, my God. This may be Rob's moment. I told you. I told you. Rob just made a throw. I'm feeling 10 more points right here. The reason why he scored a point is I knocked my own out of the way. Oh, just give a dude some credit. That was a great throw. So what do we got, Smashley? Here it for me. Woo!
Eight to one. Oh, Rizzy, you're making a comeback. Austin Robb has made a comeback. But he still won't ever win. Eddie, finish this. It's not going to happen. Eddie's throw is in the air, and it's very close to the post. That's probably a point. Could be two. Here comes Robb. Concentration, no hair on his chin. It's in the air and misses the box completely. Yeah, rolling down the sidewalk. You can tell that bothered Rob. There goes Eddie's throw and another good one. That's probably another point. Very close to the post. Rob's, okay, that's that weird throw again. Again, there's people over there, Rob. I don't care. I'm going for the swish. Is that what it is? The horseshoe just drops directly over the stake. Smashly. It's only been done maybe two or three times. Did Eddie score any points there? Ever. Two points. Oh. So now the score is? Ten to one. So now I'm on the defense. Eddie only needs two more points. Or one more. Or one more. One more. We play to 11. Play to 11. Why don't I keep playing? Come on, Eddie. That's true. Oh, bad bounce. Bad bounce. It bounced out of the box.
Boston Rob's thinking, maybe I can... Okay, same thing. Out of the box. Again, you're going to crack the sidewalk. Rob just gave me a look like, ooh, that wasn't good. Eddie's made his throw. And, ooh, almost game over. Almost game over. Rob's throw's in the air. Okay, that didn't make it in. That's a woman. Did you hear Rob? No, what did he say? He says, don't walk behind that, sir. Oh, boy. Oh, he is the dumbest. Isn't he? Sorry. Remember he did that at an appearance once? It's so inappropriate. Yeah. We apologize for our jerky guy. All right, they are picking up their horseshoes. They are about to make a throw. All right, what's the score? 10-9? Eddie says it's 10-9. Eddie's going to end it right here. He's over it. It's 10-1, Rob. 10-1. Me too, Eddie. Underhanded. You do. Throws in the air. You have one, Rob. And, oh, no, it went outside the box. You got the next one. Here comes Rob. Throws in the air. Hiya. Like an idiot. Throws in the air. Nothing. It's in the box, but way outside. Yes. Eddie's throws in the air. It's over. It's over. It's over. There we go. It's over, Rob. Rob is like, wait a second. Hang on. Let me try this. Hang on. Okay. Okay. Rob, throw in the air, and on Eddie's horseshoe. Oh, no.
I promise I didn't have anything to do with that. The car alarms? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you think it's my voice that's setting them off? I actually asked a P1 if they would do that every once in a while. Oh, okay. So here is what we're going to do. You scored the point, right? It's over. It's over. Eddie wins. Bocci ball, ladies and gentlemen. Horseshoes goes to Eddie. Wow. Way to go, Eddie. You did great. That was like the bowling thing where I wasn't sure what to expect out of Rob, but really shouldn't have expected anything. Yeah, that's a great point. Uh-oh. That was a Battle of Titans. No, it really wasn't. P1s, you're lucky to see one of the greatest horseshoe matches ever. That was embarrassing. That was going to work the whole way. Like you have a pit at home. You don't practice. I think a good name for that was Battle of Titan. Titan. It's horrible, Mike. That was a bad display. That was amazing. And I just want to congratulate Eddie. That was a great game. And you know what? I'll get you next time. Well, we're playing bocce ball in about five minutes. We're going to take a quick break. We come back. We do bocce ball. We wrap it up. We'll be right back. Come and hang out with us outside the radio station. Oh, there it goes again. It's Mikey. The Mikey Show is on.

Rock 105.3 presents the official Mikey Show Summer Games featuring the Oracle, Eddie, and the Dirtbag, B-Rob. The chairman of the Summer Games, Mikey. Ladies and gentlemen, the face-off has begun between Eddie and Boston Rock. Now they're posing. And this is where it ends, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, ridiculous. I mean, why would anyone pose like that? That's a really ridiculous kind of pose. Do they think they look tough? I don't know what they do. That one's even worse. That one's like old-time guy with the bocce ball. I mean, it looks like they're taking pictures like from 1876 or something. Now there's an action shot. Yeah, that was good. Smashley from Promotions is here. Oh, my. Smash, explain to us how bocce ball works. Basically, there's a small little ball called the Polino, and I think Eddie's going to throw it. That is Sean's safe word. Isn't it? Very close, yes. Yes, very close. Something like that. And they each have four bocce balls, and whoever gets their ball closest to the Polino, it could be all four, but if Eddie's all four, if his balls are closer than any one of the rubs, he gets balls. What are we, seven years old, you guys? I love it. It's a funny word. Even the ladies that are hanging out here immediately started laughing. It's a funny word. Then he would get those four points, and I believe we're playing the six.
I just want to point out, Smashley, that every human being here is an adult. We're all in our 20s, 30s, and 40s, and you said that, and the room erupted in laughter. Right. It's just a word. It's brass balls. All right, let's get this thing going. Eddie, you are going to be the first to throw your Polino ball. Eddie is throwing his Polino. He's throwing it, and it's hit the grass. Sean, keep in mind you're not doing anything wrong when we say that word. Yes, that is correct. You're okay, dude. I would say that if we are standing in a clock, Eddie's Polino ball fell at about 10 o'clock. And so now Boston Rob is going to toss his bocce ball and try to get close to the Polino ball. Bocce. And it is not anywhere near it. No, definitely not. It's out of the clock. Yeah. It's actually out of the clock. Oh, Eddie's got a nice spin when he throws. I don't understand any of this. Eddie is definitely much closer to the Polino. Close to the Palomino. Yep. Boston Rob threw, and now he's a little closer to the Polino ball. He's probably about two feet from it. Eddie's about three. Eddie is thrown and probably still about three. Boston Rob is now throwing, and he's got a bizarre look and spin to it. It hit Eddie's Polino ball. Oh, it's his. Yep. There's Eddie's toss, and Eddie's real close. That's a good one, Eddie. Eddie's only about a foot and a half from the Polino ball. Boston Rob is thrown.
and it is about four feet from the Polino ball. Eddie's throw. Oh, dude, that's good. It's probably about a foot and a half, two feet from the Polino ball. I don't know how we score this, but we're going to ask Smashley. She knows exactly how this works. She gets it. Eddie is measuring with his feet. It's like he's doing a DUI checkpoint thing. It's all very scientific. It looks like Eddie is walking in a straight line with his feet, and Smashley. Okay, one point, Eddie. And nope, what's the deal with Boston Rob? Eddie's this closer than any of B-Rob's other ones, so it's 1-0 Eddie. First person to six points is going to be the winner. Because when they throw, they like throw it up in the air and let it land. I always thought you kind of like roll it like a bowling ball. Yeah, I did too. You're allowed to roll it? You can do whatever you want, I think. It's grass that we're playing on, so if they rolled it, it wouldn't go very far. Not when you've got muscles like me. Rob gets tossed a Polino ball. Go ahead, Rob. Rob just threw the Polino ball. And if we're standing on a clock, it landed at 4 o'clock. Yeah, and it's very close to the speaker, so that speaker may not be there for much longer. Eddie's toss lands extraordinarily close. He's got great technique. Here goes Boston Rob's throw, and his is about 4 feet away. Eddie's throw, it lands approximately 2 inches from the Polino ball. Rob's throw lands. Oh, it hit the Polino ball.
What is that? That's okay. That's okay? There's a new target now. So now you have to be closest to its new position. Oh, no. Which basically voids everything Eddie has done so far. Yeah, Eddie had some really good ones. Sean Palomino. Eddie's toss comes about a foot away from the new position of the Palino ball. He's got great technique, Mike. Well, he's really good with balls. Austin Rob grazes the Palino ball that is about four feet away. I didn't think he could hear me. Eddie's toss. Nice. It's gorgeous. It's gorgeous is what it is. This is another good round for Eddie. And Boston Rob, about two feet away. Useless. All right. That's how I put it. Well, I'm just throwing words out there to describe the situation. You're just reaching for words. Eddie scores two points on that round. Yeah, he did. So three to nothing. He's the best. Three to nothing. That's because he's the best. Boston Rob, can we talk to you for a minute?
Talk to you just for a second. He kind of looks like he's in the zone. He's got his hands full of balls right now. Boston, yo. Talk to us about, you know, competitively where you're at right now. You know, inside. Inside? Yeah, what are you feeling here? What are you thinking? I'm feeling a comeback. He's only scored three points, right? Two? Eddie just shook his head like, okay. Three to zero. Only? You've scored nothing. Good point, Eddie. Yes. Okay. All right. This could be it. Eddie is about to toss his Polino ball. There it goes. It's up in the air. And it has landed at the exact same space as before, about 10 o'clock if we're standing on a clock. And Boston Rob is about to throw. He's concentrating. He's squinting. It's up in the air. And it is about two feet from the Polino ball. Not bad. I like this game. Not bad. Two feet. Here comes Eddie. Eddie is about. Two feet from the Polino ball. A little closer. Yeah, a tiny bit closer than Rob. Boston Rob's throw. Way far away. No way near the target. Eddie stops. Very close. Oh, there it is. It's about a foot away. Rob's throw. See, Rob tried to do a bump move there. He did. And it didn't work. It landed right next to his... Rob's trying to copy Eddie's technique, but I don't... It's not. Eddie's ball is in the air. It is...
About two and a half feet from the Polino. Two feet. I'd say two feet from the Polino. Rob's throw. Way over there. Definitely El Centro. Wow. I think Eddie could win it with this round here. Eddie's throw. Close. About two feet. Wow. Let's see. Everyone, can we hear some applause from the P1 audience here? There's a golf claps. Smashley is measuring. I feel so classy with those claps. I do, too. I really like the way they sound. In fact, I think we should get a sound engineer to record those. Oh, nice. Eddie just won, ladies and gentlemen. Let's hear it from the audience. Because you're the best, Eddie. Because you're the best, Eddie. It's another close game. It was a shutout. I got all four points on that one. Dude, that was amazing. Two matches of the Titans. That was crazy. No, that was not. Seriously, guys. That was well done, Eddie. Thank you. And over the course of the next few days, we'll be figuring out what the penalty Rob will pay for that will be. I would just first of all like to thank Michael Vick for coming out today. I think that is really cool that they let him out today. Thank you, man. He is here in the audience with us today. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for tuning in. We will be back in the studio when we come back. It's the Mikey Show. Thank you, P1s, for coming and hanging out. It's Rock 105.3. It's Mikey.

Mountains should stay put. In fact, we should probably be working together to not move mountains. Let's think of some better phrases, ones that don't imply that being successful means devastating the landscape. How about something like, together we can move mountains of trash that have piled up near the old docks. Or maybe, together we can drink these two beers I just suddenly got. Not only are they now going to be the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater. Did they name the new Cricket Wireless Amphitheater, formerly Coors? Not only that. But I don't know if you guys have heard about this. They got something going on. They're going to be opening up this children's museum, which is going to be really, really great. I really like it because they're doing a whole shrine for B-Rob. Uh-huh, yeah. Being, you know, the oldest living child. He's the coolest infant. That's right. Yes, that's a good point. Coolest adult toddler in San Diego, which I think is right. I'm five, eight and a quarter. Well...
That counts. That's right, on a box. Stilettos. Here's the great thing. Children's Museum is opening on May the 4th, downtown San Diego. And I'm looking forward to it, man. No, no, no. Crickets don't buy. Crickets are friendly. They're very friendly. But I'm going to be taking Jake to this place. It's great. The kids get messy and stuff, but the cool thing is it's not in your house. Oh, huge. That's awesome. And they enjoy themselves. And let me give you, Skye, what is the website if people want to go? It's mycricket.com slash San Diego. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios, this is the official home of the Mikey Morning Show.
It's brilliant. Amazing. K-I-O-Z, San Diego's Rock 5-3. Welcome back to The Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I pick my nose a lot. Eddie. I don't spend money on anything. Sky. I'm a white girl. What do you want from me? Sean. Slatter me, slatter me, slatter me. Boston Rob. I told you, I'm starting to read. I'm trying to be educated. And Ashley. I like to flow. She likes to flow. On Rock 105.3. I do not think that that went for Boston Rob how he had anticipated it would go. I do not think that. It is 8.06. Mayor Sanders is coming under fire after he said F.U. to mayoral candidate Steve Francis. Once again, Eddie proves his dominance over Boston Rob sweeping the Summer Games Challenge. You can text us at 3-5-2-5-3.
And you can call us at 570-1053. Line up because we're going to be doing tone-deaf karaoke here in just a second. Awesome. 35253 is our text number. Boston Rob, what do you think led to your demise in this particular challenge? What was it that was not working for you today? It was my hands. It was your hands? Okay. Name it on my hands. I got you. I got you. I understand. Well, his hands were involved, but the fact that he was holding horseshoes like a sword. That is true. I think may have been the tip-off. Kind of strange. That's how they do it in Britain. Okay. No. Britain. Eddie? Yeah. Talk to me, or have you heard everything that happened with Mayor Sanders? Yeah. Do you know this whole story? Yes, I do. Sky? Yeah. For those that have not heard what happened with the colonel, Colonel Sanders. Yes. What happened with our mayor? Well, this all started on Sunday where there was a mayoral forum. You know, the people running for mayor going on at Balboa Park. And after it, and, you know, witnesses were there saying it wasn't heated. You know, there wasn't much trash talking or anything. After it was all over, Steve Francis, who's running for mayor, went up to our current mayor, Mayor Sanders, and offered his hand to shake his hand. Mayor Sanders refused to shake his hand and said, F you, Steve, and walked away.
And then Steve Francis kind of started telling people, yeah, this is what went down. And Mayor Sanders has now been questioned by the media about it and has a very interesting response to the whole deal. Yeah. Yeah. Cut. Now, this is Mayor Sanders responding to it all. Yep. Cut 32. I'm talking to an individual, man to man. Very quick conversation. Nobody's even around. I'm sorry that it hurt his feelings, and he felt that he had to tattle to everybody. But I'm not sorry for what I said. What he said is I'm a caretaker. I'm not doing the job. That's absolutely ridiculous. I've been out in a lead role. I don't think anyone would disagree that I showed leadership during the fires that nobody's ever seen around here before in terms of cooperation, dealing with other agencies, and drawing everybody together. Okay, wait a second. So Mayor Sanders is, I may, I could have this all wrong, so I'm going to ask because I may have it all wrong. Is Mayor Sanders saying, yeah, I said F you and I said it in privacy and he's going around tattling to everybody about it.
That's his take? That's exactly right. Yes. Oh, wow. And other quotes from Mayor Sanders regarding the incident that weren't in that clip. Quote, if that offends him, then his skin is pretty thin, especially when that's in the privacy of two individuals with nobody else standing around. We're talking big boy stuff. We're not talking about elementary school. Okay. Okay. That's fine. Hey, listen. Here's the deal. He's putting it out there. He's saying. It's all about what you think of a guy and his politics. You may say, listen, maybe that's who Mayor Sanders is, but I like his politics. I think he's done a good job for San Diego. And maybe you say, I don't know that I like that character. That's not the type of character I really want in a person, blah, blah, blah. Boy, that's tough. Yeah, but it's very un-politician-like for him to just be like, too bad. I'm not taking it back. I'm not sorry. Normally, a politician would be like, okay, well, maybe my language was a little bit inappropriate. But no, he's not saying any of that. He's like, too bad. Get a thicker-skinned guy. Right? Yeah, it kind of trips me out. Here's the thing. I have always said I am a radio talk show host, and so I'm not running for anything.
When you are running for something, I would think that you would want to be, you know, coming off without the FUs. Really? When did that start? I guess, you know, I guess that would be the thing. But I don't know. He doesn't think so. He says, let's go for it. We're men. And FU. Got to get a thicker skin. Eddie, what do you think? You know. It's kind of funny because I'm sure this hits different people in different ways. For me, I didn't really care that he said the F word. But he didn't just say the F word. He said F you. Yeah. He told him the F off. Do you think it would be different if he said they were talking and he used the F word? Yeah. Or if he used the F word in saying F you? Yeah. I think there's a difference for sure.
But it does make me think that Steve Francis is a little girly boy that he's going around telling everybody, the mayor can send F off to me. See, I got a different take. It hits me like that. I can't help it. I got a different take on the Steve thing. I think Steve sees it as a political opportunity. Oh, for sure. To me, I think that it's very convenient for Mayor Sanders to say that he's being a girly girl because what else are you going to say? But I think that Steve Francis is like, well, you just messed up because I'm going to let everybody know. Right. And it's going to make people, some people think that you have poor character. Yeah. 570-1053. And our text number is 35253. We'll talk about it. But first, why don't we do a little bit. The idea of the game sounds easy. No, you do. It's not easy, though. It's not easy. The reason it isn't is because you have to figure out what Ashley is singing. It's not easy. It's not easy. Nothing worth doing is, Mike. Well, listen. Here is Ashley singing a little song by Creed. The audio equivalent of a couple of airplanes crashing into a film. I support you. I support. I support. 570-1053. P1 Leon is first. Leon, are you there?
Yeah, I'm here, man. Okay, dude. You know how the game's played, right? Not really. Okay, let me explain. We're going to play you a clip. We're going to play you a clip, and I don't want you to say what you think the song is until the clip is done being played. I'm so scared. You got it? Don't freak out. Don't freak out. It is scary. Don't freak out. Now, when I'm done playing the clip, I will ask you to give me either the name of the song or who's singing it. If you can do one of the two, you win. Are you ready? Dude, turn your radio off. He's new. I can tell, though, he's new. All right, let's do it. No, turn your radio off, goofball. Please. It's done. All right, let's go. There you go. All right, let's do it. Here we go. She said, come on, baby. I got a little sense for love. And they said, it expires. When the midnight hour should cry more, more, more. Oh, wow. That was...
And the fist pump and everything. That's right. Leon, can you tell me the name of that song or who sings it? I have no idea. Ashley, what were you singing? She was singing Billy Idol Rebel Yell. Sean. Sean, how do you feel about that? I thought it was dead on. It was not dead on. Dead on arrival. Yes. Wow. You had to go there, huh, Eddie? I liked it. For you, Sean, special dedication. Sean had the most serious look on his face while that was happening. Yeah, a little bit. He's hurt, and he's sad, and he's fearful. No, I'm not. I'm pissed off. Do you want Steven? Hey, what's up? Not too much, dude. You ready to play? Yep. Do you know how to play? Yes, I do. Title or artist after the clip. Here we go. Now you're here. Now you're away. I don't want this. Oh, gosh. Toughest one in the history. Toughest one in the history of tone deaf. Yeah, Steven, do you know who that was? You know, I don't even know who to say for that one, honestly. I believe it was a dog being spayed or neutered. Yeah, I think you're right.
P1 Ginger. Oh, you're not going to play it again, are you? No, dude. I'm going to play it one more time. Mike! Ginger, I'm going to play that clip one more time. No. And I'm going to ask you to give me the title or the artist, Ginger. Here we go. Now you're here. Now you're away. I don't want this. Remember that. I'll never forget where you're at. Key one, Ginger? Can you give me a title or artist? This is so sad because I know that song and I can't think of a title or artist. It was Bush and Glycerine. That was a hard one. That was tough. But it didn't sound like it. It did not sound like it, Eddie. Not even close. I mean, it sounded beautiful. But she just made it her own. Four deaf people. No, wait.
Very sorry, Ginger. I'm very sorry. Dang it. Me too. Aw, Ginger. Up next, P1 Cody. This is Kathy Lee's son. Wow, all grown up. That's right. Cody, how are you? How you doing, Mikey? Good, man. You know how the game is played? Yes, sir. Title or artist after the clip. Here we go. Oh, that's Luke for right now. My favorite one ever. Oh, yeah. I love that one. P1 Cody, can you give me a title or artist on that? I have not a clue. Okay. That's a jam. I want to hear it again, though. I want to hear it again. That's a good one. P1 Jessica. Yes. Don't tell me what it is. I'm going to play the clip again. Okay. No. After the clip is done being played, I want you to give me a title or artist to win. Okay.
Masterpiece. Eddie was conducting the orchestra during that. Thank you. Jessica, can you give me title or artist to win? I'm barely here because I'm laughing. Yes. And my duck in the car is so loud. I can't tell you. I don't know. It was the Cranberries and Zombie. Thank you very much. And goodbye. No. Oh, my gosh. My boyfriend's playing along in his car and he's three for three. Yes. Did he just text you? He's been texting me that he's gotten all of them. He doesn't. He guesses and he plays along and texts me the answers. We're getting him on the phone. I have all the texts. He's guessing them right. I'm telling you, he's not. He is. He doesn't know. Someone put a popsicle. Our text number is 35253. Wow. Don't go away.
When we come back, apparently there's a little bit of a controversy going on because there is a new device that people have come up with that will drive away teenage loiterers from an area. It's a device that will drive them away. This isn't a joke either, by the way. When we come back, I'll tell you what has been developed to drive away teenagers from loitering. Don't go away. Ladies and gentlemen, if you're just tuning in. Uh.
Eddie slaughtered Boston Rob, basically, in the Eddie B. Rob Challenge today. Why do you say that? Just because he scored only one point in two full games? Yes, that is why I say it. Oh, okay. Well, then you're right. Interesting point. Yeah. And the one point he scored was a ricochet point. But I'm just saying. He's just saying. He's just saying. Ladies and gentlemen, our phone number here is 570-1053. Eddie? Yes, sir. I don't mean to take you out of this mood. Come on. I'm on a high right now. Oh, this is going to get bad. But I have to ask. What? John, we're the San Diego Padres. Oh, dude. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. But I have a question about that. Oh, I don't know, Mike. It's the same problem we have every year. Oh, no. We have no hitting. We have no offense. We got the best pitching in the world. We got the best pitching in the world. But can we score any runs?
No. Why? Why can't we? Why don't we ever spend any money to get some power? You guys should spend some money. We don't, though. We don't. I don't care. I don't care who it is. Get Barry Bonds. Yeah, but Eddie. Whoa, whoa. Sign Barry Bonds. Wait a second. Sign Barry Bonds. Can you just say that? Listen to me. This is where I really get upset. The guy's sitting on the sidelines right now. This is a Hall of Fame guy. He's not going to hit 50 home runs. But he'll hit 25, which guess what? Will lead the Padres. And where does he hit the most home runs? In San Diego. I'm sorry. Are we happy with Paul McAnulty? Who? Who? Exactly. Who's Paul Mackinac? He's our left fielder, Mike. I think he's some kind of nut. Yeah, but. You put Barry Bonds out there. Bammo. Hang on a second, though, Eddie. I mean, we've got great pitching. We've got great pitching, Mike. They're pitching lights out all the time, right? The last two games. Yeah. Two games have gone 35 innings. And here at Petco Park. A lot of runs scored or what happened? Three. Three runs in 35 innings. Oh, I thought you said five innings.
Well, at least you guys won those games, right? No, Rob, we lost. Wait, we lost. Well, how did we lose those games? Because they don't score anymore. Eddie, you're getting upset. Rick Maddish pitched a gem last night, a shutout, and he can't get a W. Yeah, I know, but we don't have the money that they have in New York. Mike, they promised us. John Morris promised us. You build me a park. We're going to spend money. We're going to put the best team out here. No, I mean, they have. We went to it last year. Didn't we win the West? I mean, isn't that enough? First of all, no, we didn't. Arizona did. That's right. We didn't even make the playoffs. That's right. It's infuriating. Wasn't there like a rubber match or something? Yeah, we lost that game because we don't have any scoring. We don't have any offense. I don't know what we're doing. I do know what we're doing. We got it at the offense. Hang on a second. Wow. Let's talk about the positives. That's a good idea. We have Trevor Hoffman. You know what you're doing to me. No, no, no, no, no. Wait a minute. Hang on a second. That guy did something miraculous last year. What was it? He won a bunch of games. Hello. Hello. Hello. Trevor Hoffman ever heard of him? Maybe he didn't see last night's game. Listen, I'm not going to sit here and bash. I'm not going to bash Trevor Hoffman. I'm not going to do it. No, no, no. Why would you? He's a gentleman. But it may be time. To cut his hair. It may be time to move.
Heath Bell, he did cut his hair. Thank God. It may be time to move Heath Bell into the closer role. I'm just saying. That's a real heavy statement. I'm just saying. Bottom line, I don't even care. Let's not talk about pitching. I don't want to talk about pitching. Okay, let's talk about your big bats. Like, what's his name? 100-year-old Jim Edmonds. Khalil Green. Khalil Green. What about Khalil Green? What about... Yeah, Spicoli. What's he doing? It looks like he's not... By the look on Eddie's face, I don't think he's doing very much. Guys. What about Adrian Gonzalez? Adrian Gonzalez is our best player. There you go. He's great. He's doing great. He's got one home run on the air. One. Mike, one. Remember Josh Barfield? I barely do, but yes, I do remember Josh Barfield. He was pretty good. Shut up, Rob, you stupid idiot. I don't need you to hear talk about the other team but your Red Sox. You talk about your Red Sox. That's all you know. Now he's lashing out. This is junk. This is junk. It's crap. Seriously, how hard is it?
to sign a power hitter. One! One! I mean, and Barry Bonds is sitting in his home in Beverly Hills with nothing to do. Listen, we could get him for the cheap. I'm telling you. It wouldn't cost that much to get Barry Bonds on our team. Yeah, but we're not Boston or New York or Chicago. We don't have that kind of money. He lives up the road, Mike. Yeah, and he's pretty ego-driven. I think he would just like an offer from any team at this point. I'll give him the steroids myself. I don't care. That's quite an offer. I'll give the whole damn team some steroids. Eddie, you don't need to go there. I'll pee in a cup for them. I'll do whatever it takes. This is ridiculous. One run. You scored Greg Maddux one run last night. One run, Mike. Well, Eddie, you know it is a pitcher's ballpark. That's fine. Then manufacture some runs. How about that? But that would mean like you'd have to move dudes around and all that stuff. Get some speed. Move them over. I don't understand. Our ball club doesn't make any sense. It doesn't make any sense. Damn it! It doesn't make any sense. Eddie would tell us how he really pulled. What do you mean it doesn't make any sense though? What do you mean it doesn't make any sense? Okay, we got a pitcher's ballpark. We're not going to hit any home runs. So then you think, oh, we're going to put a speedy team out there. We don't have any team speed. Brian Giles is our man.
You don't have to yell at me. I'm just sitting there. P1, Kevin agrees. Kevin, are you there? Yeah, this is Kevin. Yeah, bro. Hey, you know, a pilot is all well and good, but we've had him in the past, you know, with your king minutes and this and that. And there, you know, one of ten times you get that big shot. Where the money's at is get a little speedy guy from the minor league so you get that guy on with no outs in the later inning. Boom to second, bomb to third, boom. Manufacture runs. That's what you were saying, right? Manufacture runs. P1 Alex agrees with Eddie about Barry Bonds. P1 Alex. Eddie, dude, I totally agree. The knock on him is that he's got bad knees, he can't play defense. We don't need him to play defense. Nobody's pulling the ball on any of our pitchers. Yeah, and all they're doing is looking at the balls go over to the... which for some reason the opposing team can hit home runs in Petco Park. Yeah, we did last night. You did to tie the game. Yeah, it was awesome. We can't hit a home run. It's on pictures. Let's see. P1 Jeff is on hold and is wondering if Eddie heard what Sandy Alderson has recently had to say about the team. Let's see. P1 Jeff. Jeff, are you there? Yeah. Go ahead.
I just had a question for Eddie if he heard what Sandy Olgerson said yesterday on the Sports Talk Radio. What did he say? He said that the only way that the Padres are going to score runs in this ballpark is basically if they get high on base percentage with walks and then having people come up behind them and hit home runs. But that doesn't happen, Sandy. We don't hit home runs. So that means what? We're just going to give up and not score any runs? I know. I don't understand. He's brutal, dude. Eddie, what about Frank Thomas? Frank Thomas. Well, you know, the hard part about Frank Thomas is he really can't play defense, and he's a first baseman, and we're not going to sit Adrian Gonzalez. He's a DH at this point in his career, so he's an American League guy. I would love to have Frank Thomas if we had a DH in the National League, but he's not really an option. This text says, totally agree with Eddie. The Padres need a guy that can produce 100 plus RBI. Oh. And at least 35 home runs. You mean like every team? Every team? Oh, gosh. Every other team? Every other team, Eddie? Every other team has at least a 3,100 guy. 30 home runs, 100 RBI. Don't we? Every team? Eddie. Yeah, but Eddie, that's because those teams, man, they're in big cities. They can afford it. Mike, we're in big cities. What about us?
Mike. Got a beautiful new ballpark. It's generating a lot of money. It's gorgeous. It is gorgeous. This one says, tell John Morris to sell his condo on the top floor of the Omni Hotel so we can buy a power hitter. Signed P1 Cougar Hunter. Hey, man. You know, I'm spending, you know, a lot of money for my beers and my hot dogs down there. Everything. I'm telling you, they got the money. They got the money. Do they not want us to show up? Rob has a question. Rob, what is your question? How many people in San Diego? A few mil? 14 million. 14 million? No, there's 3 million for crying out loud. Everybody chipping $1. I'll go around with the cup and we'll buy a big power hitter for you guys. You should not be in charge of the cup. Yeah, I don't think we should put you in charge of the cup. Definitely like the agent. I just, you know, come on. I love the Padres. This is frustration. I love their organization. I love... Your team came to the game all decked out in the gear last time. And it is so frustrating to me to watch Greg Maddox, that cagey veteran, mad dog on the mound, throw a shutout, have Heath Bell come in, be lights out, it's perfectly set up, and they don't win the game. And I don't even blame Trevor. We should have more than one run. It's okay if he gives up a solo shot because we could score two runs for him.
Crazy. 13 innings, and we lose it. Dude. For that reason. Brutal. 570-1053, do you agree with Eddie? 35253 is the text number. I'm sorry. He loves them. He's got strong feelings. Frustrated. Let's see. P1 Lauren. Let's see. P1 Matt is on the line. Hey, Eddie. Yo. Hey, bro. I love you, dude. But why are you so young, Hope? Such a losing team, dude. Oh, don't say that. Dude, they can't get anything together. I live in San Diego, and I can't stand the positives because they can't do nothing. Well, that's what I'm crying about, bro. I want them to change it around. But just back up a little bit and just kind of be neutral for a little bit. I have a question. Do you want me to give up? I have a question. I have a question. What's your question, Mike? Well, P1 Matt just said that he lives in San Diego, and he doesn't get behind them because they don't win.
I mean, isn't that by definition a bandwagon fan? Oh, definitely. In other words, he would get behind them if they won. Yeah, abandon your team when times get tough. Yeah, but Eddie is upset. He supports a team and, you know, he's passionate about it. I'm not going to give up. Come on, bro. Rob went through 86 years of this. P1 tall Chinese guy is on the line. Oh, good. Good morning. Hey, Eddie. What's going on? Hey, Eddie, there is hope for your team, man. They just need to take some notes from the Oakland A's. Oakland A's are 13-9. They're in a definite pitcher's ballpark. They bat like 250. They have five home runs on the year. That's upsetting, Eddie. He agrees. They hit with runners scoring position like 320 or 325. Eddie's shaking his head. Eddie's shaking his head. Oh, no, it's upsetting him. He agrees with you. Just have hope, man. Just have hope. I have a question. I thought they were trying to take the advice of the A's, and that's why they hired Sandy Alderson, because he came from the... Oh. He's a guy that did it. He built it, you know? You're upsetting your friends. He built that city. He built that city on Miguel Tejada. I don't think that's right.
Enough. Enough. No, stop. It's not helping. I got it. Anybody remember Mark Loretta? I do remember. What does that even mean? Just good times, man. Let's just think about the good times. Mark Loretta? That's the only name you could come up with? I like it. You liked him because he went to the Sox. A lot of hits. P1 Giants fan is on the line. We should call him. Sorry, Eddie. I hate to do this to you, but... You do know that you're losing the season series to a team that was supposed to finish dead last in the West. You think I don't know that? You think I don't know that? I think I'm not embarrassed. He's just stating facts, man. I'm embarrassed. I'm embarrassed for the team right now. They're playing terribly. P1 Chris. Hey, what's up, Mikey? What's up? I had a question for the Oracle. I'm curious. What do you think Trevor Hoffman makes as far as an annual salary? Wow. I can tell you exactly. I figured you could. He's got it. I'm sure it's a lot. I know he's at like $8 or $9 million a year. Does he get free peanuts? It's a two-part. What do you think it would cost us to get the heavy hitter you're talking about if it couldn't be someone like Barry Bonds? Well, you know, it depends. If you're talking about when free agency is going on before the season, it's going to take a lot of money. It's going to take probably like $13, $14 million a year to get a decent power hitter in here.
But that is kind of what they promised us when they built the new stadium. That's exactly what I'm saying. Maybe they forgot. I've been here since I was in 1981. And San Diegans really want to see the Padres have a winning team. Dude. I mean, since I've been here, I haven't seen it really happen. Bro. It's really discouraging when you think of cities that are very similar in size like St. Louis. Yeah, we're supposed to be America's finest city. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, we're similar in size to St. Louis, and they're able to put together. We're bigger than St. Louis. I like B-Rob's idea, actually. I think, you know, I think the people would pitch in some money if that actually made the difference. Yeah. Me and my buddy were going to do that for the Sox. Just go around the country and ask for a buck from everyone. But you shouldn't have to when they're raking in the billions of dollars. A coffee makes $7.5 million. Oh. Also, though, you know, San Diegans, you look at a lot of other cities, and San Diegans are kind of bandwagon at times. Listen, absolutely. This town is an absolute bandwagon town. But you know what? When we are winning, there is no better sports town in America. Except for Boston. Rob has a cold. He has a cold. P1 Maiden fan, are you there? Yes. P1 Maiden fan, he says, look, there's a reason for all this. Go ahead, Maiden fan. Hey, the Padres are building for the future. At the beginning of the year in the UT. Now, Eddie looks upset. Eddie looks upset. What have we been building for the future for 40 years?
Mr. Eddie, I know. Bro, come on. It's garbage. I'm not even a ball fan. I just read what I read. And the Padres farm system has. You know how many years we've been saying that? Do you know how many years we've been saying that? Yeah, that's what they say when they don't play well. No, I'm not even a Padres fan. I'm just letting you know, dude. I feel that the fans are getting ripped off here in San Diego. Because I'm not a huge baseball fan at all. You're a maiden fan. You're a maiden fan, if we're being honest. You can run to the hills like nobody's business. Thank you very much. So Skye has the annual list from FHM magazine. She has the annual list of the sexiest women in the world. Yes, I do. You know what's so funny about it is that the actual sexiest women in the world won't be in there because nobody knows who they are. That's true. It's probably some secretary working in Chicago. Ooh, she's hot. It's some teacher that works at a classroom in Georgia. It's because you have big jugs. It's all these people that nobody knows who they are. But these are celebrity people, I guess. John McCain's wife. John McCain's wife is a beautiful woman. No, she is not in the top ten. Can you smell what the Mac is cooking? John McCain.
I only have the top ten, so I don't... She's not in it. It's the usual suspects. Yeah, Angelina Jolie. No. Jessica Biel. Jessica Simpson. Jessica Alba. Oh, hold on. Jessica Simpson, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel. Jessica Tandy. Yeah, Jessica Tandy's not on the list, Eddie. How do you know? You can call me Kilrod. No. Jessica Biel is number two. Jessica Alba is number three. Jessica Biel's number two? And Angelina Jolie did not make the top ten. Wow. No. No. Scarlett. Johansson. Number five. Johansson? Yes, Scarlett Johansson. Johansson. I'm going to say this. I don't think this. I'm trying to guess who's on the list. Is Cameron Diaz on the list? No. Kate Hudson? No. Kate Beckinsale. Number 10. Oh, really? What about these new girls? These Amy Winehouse. Amy Adams, is she on there? No. She'd be on the cutest list. And this is the what list? The sexiest women in the world. I got it. Star Jones. According to FHM. Okay, wait a minute. I got it. We're not thinking international. Who's the big model in England? That's not really going to help you. Forget it. Good thought though, Mike. Okay, what about Australian women? Nicole Kidman.
Giselle's not on there? Yeah, what about Giselle? Stupid list. Not in the top ten. What about J. Isabel? Yeah, what about J. Isabel? Number one. J. Isabel. She deserves it. Evangeline Lilly. No. One of these women, Eddie, used to be your favorite. Debra Gibson. Alicia Cuthbert is number four. Is she really on there? Tell me what. I always said it was Debra Gibson. I know what you're trying to get at. Mariah Carey. Is he? We get it. We get it. We like Mariah Carey. We get it. What about Michelle Branch? Is she on that list? Danica Patrick. Eddie. People dig her. That's true. She's the only woman driver. That chick from the Transformers. Oh, yeah, yeah. Matthew Fox. Vivica A. Fox. Megan Fox is number one on the list. She's gorgeous. Yeah, she's a very young version of Angelina Jolie. Yeah, she's going to take her place. Yeah, totally. She's going to take her place, I heard. Wow. So who else? Who do we miss? Oh, wait. Is Kirsten Dunst on the list? I don't think that. I'm just saying. She could be, Mike. No way. No. What about...
The ones that, what about like Lindsay or Paris? No way. No. No way. I don't think they will be anymore. Okay. I think everybody's mad. Number six is, I don't know how to pronounce her name, Emmanuel Cherise. Emmanuel Lewis. Oh, Emmanuel Lewis finally made the list. Yeah, we've been voting for him. She's the gal from Entourage. Number seven, Hilary Duff. Hillary Clinton. Hillary, duh. She has gotten so pretty. She has gotten so pretty. She is. She's very sexy. No, she grew up. What about Ashley Simpson? No. Number eight is Trisha Helfer from Battlestar Galactica. Oh, nice. Number three is Anne Curry, which is really weird. Number nine is Blake Lively from Gossip Girls. Blake Lewis? Yeah, remember that guy, the beatbox guy.
I didn't know he was that good. Some people to mention who didn't make the top 10. Angelina Jolie coming in at number 12. Rihanna number 14. Kelly Ripa 89. Kim Kardashian number 17. And finally Paris Hilton coming in at number 77 on the list. That cannot be good for her. Hey, check it out. David Blaine is going to try to break. the uh breath holding record now well i don't know that he was trying to break was was he trying to break the record before was it so because he did he went like nine minutes or something like that right well this went well he was in a big he was in a big sphere full of water and he was in new york city and he was in like uh lincoln plaza or something
This time, he's going to do it on the Oprah Winfrey Show, and he says that he's going to do it. He's going to try to break the record of what? 16 minutes, 14 seconds. Oh, my God. How's he going to do it? It's impossible. Yeah, he has been training. Training? Yeah. And I guess what he'll do is before he goes underwater, he will fill his lungs with pure oxygen. It's impossible. Whippets. That's something different, Mike. Oh, I thought that's how you did it. No, that's how you trained. I mean, that's fun. Yeah, I thought the way he trains was with those whipped cream cans. No, that's not how that works. So he will attempt this. Oh, look, it's David Blaine training. So he will attempt this on Oprah's show on Wednesday. April the 30th. How fun. I will watch that. Will you? I always think it's cool when dudes hold their breath. Really? You want to see Rob do it? Yeah. No, when David Blaine did it, I thought it was really interesting when he did it. There you go. That's a strange face to hold your breath. That's a strange, that is an interesting hold your breath face. It's the face that... Yeah, I guess it's like lower lip tucked under. I don't know why.
I was breathing. I know. You cheater. I'm going to go for the record too now. I want to do it above water though. Let's see. A mini mini. Sky has another list. Sky has a list of the states with the most and least drunk drivers. I know the least. Wherever Rob lives. I will guess the least. I know where geographically it'll be. It'll be north. It'll be one of those Montana, North Dakota. Utah. Yeah, of course. Utah is the number one with the least amount of drunk drivers. And the most is Texas. No. California's got to be most. No. Massachusetts. No. Florida. New York. No. Oh, Wisconsin. Wisconsin is number one. What? Here's the breweries. Beer. Oh. The breweries. They're all drunk there. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. They all go to the Green Bay games. Yeah. Yep. Their baseball team is named the Brewers. Yeah. That's a good point, Eddie. They should be the Deweys. I'm surprised that, you know, like the Oakland Raiders aren't their own state. Raider Nation. Mm-hmm.
Yeah, so do you want to hear the top five worst? Yeah, yeah. Okay, so the top five worst. They have a suit. Yeah, they get drunk there. Wisconsin, North Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Oh, yeah. Minnesota. We like to drink a lot. We're really bored here. Yeah. On the weekends, I like to have my cousins over and we drink beers. We drink the beers. Well, yeah. I called my cousin Saul and I said, hey, come over and bring a keg with you. It's just me and you, right? And the least amount of DUIs, Utah, West Virginia, Arkansas, Kentucky, and North Carolina. Because they don't have cars there. Oh. Interesting point, Eddie. Horse and wagon. North Carolina had the least amount of drunk driving? Well, Utah did. North Carolina was number five of the least. Got it.
So Star Jones says her wedding was an error in judgment. That is a strange thing to say. Wow. What a strange thing to say. Can't you say it didn't work out? Yeah. I think she's referring to, you know, obviously the marriage itself, but also the way she handled it by opening it up to the media and making a huge spectacle about it. Really? So she's acknowledging that that was a mistake too? Yeah. She talks about, you know, allowing the media into the most intimate area of her life. And she's now committed to handling it. the situation with dignity and grace and looking forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman. Barf. I don't know about that. Who are you calling? I'm not calling anybody. I was going to answer the phone line. I saw one ringing and then when I answered it, it was a dial tone. So I'm like, well, what am I supposed to do with that? Can't do anything with that. So here's the deal, folks. They're going to be doing some small arms training tonight at Miramar. So if you hear anything, Crazy. Can anyone go? No, it's not like that. Open to the public? No. It's not open to the public. They're just trying to explain that, hey, if you hear some stuff. I call the bazooka. Oh, man. Hey, listen, it's nice to see you. I know that you're a neighbor, and so I was just going to tell you, if you hear anything tonight.
You know, weird noises, whatever. Screams. Yeah, you know, just wanted to let you know we're going to be wrestling over here. But you're not in the military. You know, we're acting out a play actor. Yeah, we're doing that lab miserable. Yeah, we're doing lab miserables, less miserables than that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So if you hear a guy screaming, saying, no, no, I swear, come on, I didn't say anything to anybody. You know, just. Remember, we're playing around. You hear Steeler's wheel really loud. Yeah. We're just watching that movie. Yeah. But see, this is military training. You guys aren't military. But no, see, you guys are military. But you're not. Military, yeah. I don't know what you mean. Yeah. You know what I mean. No. You know. Nope, you're scared. We're civilian contractors. Yeah. Oh, you are. Working for the government. That's weird. You don't have any credentials on you. You don't have credentials. Well, tell you what. Why don't you come over tonight and we'll show you. Yeah, you know what? It's a good idea. You come over tonight. We'll show you our identification. We'll have a little gabagoo. It'll be great. Well, no, that doesn't sound safe. We'll do it all in the basement. Yeah, yeah. I don't know why. Yeah, Ma will come over. She'll bring the food down in the basement. Yeah, yeah. I don't want to go in your basement. You'll walk in. There'll be a nice tarp laid down. Being real nice. Is there a tarp in your basement? Protect your dainty feet. Yeah, dainty. But I wear shoes for that. Yeah, they're real dainty. They're real, real dainty. I wear shoes for that.
Yeah, my friend over there, the one that you see in the camera, he wants to meet you tonight. He says... You sound like you're a real nice person and everything. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He says he really likes your makeup and everything. He wants to put a little color in the face, he says, right? I'll put some color in your face. Yeah, that's right. That's my associate there. Yeah, we call him Meat Hooks. Why do you call him Meat Hooks? Oh, he's got his hands the size of Meat Hooks. That's scary. Yeah, boy. That's right. He's a good kid. Orphan, actually. Tony Stewart is talking about wanting to leave Gibbs Racing, which is a big deal. He's been with Gibbs Racing forever. Yeah. That's crazy. Some people are saying that Tony may be a little jealous at how good Kyle Busch is doing. Really? And, you know, Tony's got a bit of an ego. Uh-oh. And, you know, there are reports that he may leave Gibbs Racing. Really? A little surprising. That is, man. Wow. He's not doing so hot this year.
There was a high-end clothing theft ring going on in San Diego, and the SDPD brought it down. Yeah. Rob. Sorry. Yeah. They were hitting malls all over Southern California, but specifically in San Diego County, they were hitting the mall in Escondido and the mall in National City, and they were stealing stuff from Victoria's Secret, Express, Banana Republic. Was it women? Eight men and women are now under arrest. They say that when they raided the home, they found close to $200,000 worth of clothing. And they also found a list of stuff that needed to be stolen, stuff that people had requested to buy. And, you know, they'd steal it and then resell it. Bad karma. Bad karma. Oh, boy. Here is Lars Ulrich of Metallica talking about their future. Cut 27. There's a bunch of possibilities out there. There's a bunch of possibilities. It's great to be able to have the choices. And it's great when you don't need the record company to sign the checks. You know what I mean? Then it sort of becomes a whole different thing. The landscape continues to change, you know? So we'll see. Why have the record company sign the checks if you can do it yourself? It's Lars. Remember Bob Guinea? Oh, yeah. He was the funny bachelor. Everybody loves. America loves Bob Guinea. Real funny.
was talking about how I guess he's in a band, cut 26. By the way, we saw you on Idol Gives Back. Oh, thanks. We knew you guys had this celebrity band. I did a double take. I said, oh my gosh, that's Bob Giddy. Yeah, the band from TV. Yeah, look at me way over the side, right? Yeah, I'm off to the side now. There he is. How did you guys put this? Because it's Terry Hatcher, the plumber from Desperate Housewives. James Denton, Greg Grunberg, Hugh Laurie, Jesse Spencer, Bonnie Somerville. Do you play a lot? We play a lot of events where we can raise money for charity. We each give money to our charity separately. It's called The Band from TV. Are you playing again soon? We have some shows lined up that we're going to play. We all have our own charities that we support. We give every penny that we make. What band fights? There's always behind the scenes of Metallica. We all have lead singer syndrome in the band. Every one of us thinks that we should be making the rules. Did you guys know that there's a study out that says that if you're trying to have a boy, let's say you want to have a boy, it says that women that are eating more calories at the time of conception up their chance of having a boy. How does that work, though? I thought it was the sperm that decides what the sex of the baby is. Well, they say that you can take the study and...
They say that it may be that it takes more nutrients to build a boy than a girl. And they say that, let's see, fertility research shows that male embryos aren't likely to survive in lab cultures that have low sugar levels. And if you're skipping meals and not eating correctly, your body has low sugar levels. So basically they're saying if you're, you know, up your calorie intake, you know, I guess there's this old wives tale about eating bananas. They say that has to do with all the potassium you get from bananas, that that ups your chances of having a boy if you're doing that at conception time. Eat a banana while you're having sex. No, not... That's what you just said. Well, around conception time. You know, make sure those nutrients are in your body. You don't actually have to be eating a banana at the same time. But how does what anything the lady does have anything to do? I thought it was the guy that decides. Um, you know...
I don't know. Just from what I read, you know, maybe it has a better chance of survival. Maybe if a male sperm meets an egg that doesn't have those high level of nutrients and the high calorie intake, then it won't survive. It has less of a chance of survival. Quit talking your voodoo. Sounds like a little voodoo to me. I don't know. It's just a study. It's my voodoo. So I wanted to get to this. So there's a device that chases teenagers away that are loitering. It's called a stick. It's a different device. It's a whole different thing. Trip out on this. It costs about $1,500. Basically, it's a frequency that people can't hear. They say people in their teens and 20s who still have very sensitive hair cells in their ears because they haven't ruined their hearing yet, they can hear it. To them, it's like... The older I get, the more hair in my ear I have. Well, no, those are different hairs. We're talking about different hairs here, Eddie. So they say to those kids in their teens and early 20s, it's like fingernails down a chalkboard to them. So what they're doing is putting it outside of like malls, places where they don't want kids to skateboard and stuff like that. Yeah, but then what about a kid that's just like going to the mall?
Just to buy, you know, go shopping. Yeah. That, you know, that's kind of... Poor kids getting nails down the chalkboard. Yeah. So there's certain towns who have tried it and the people have protested and they've had to take it down. They were like, meat is murder. Meat is murder. Coleslaw is murder. Would you eat your dog or would you eat your cat? Meat is murder. Meat is murder. Would you eat your dog? Would you eat your cat? 35253 is our text number. Our website, MikeyShow.com. Green Bay Packers are meeting with Dante Culpepper to possibly be their backup quarterback. Our text number is 35253. Welcome back to the show. So, yeah, six cases of hepatitis A have been linked here in San Diego County.
Skye, what is the story? Well, basically, six people in the county came down with hepatitis A. And, you know, that's something that health officials take very serious. And so what they did is, you know, they got together with these people to try and figure out if there was any commonalities in, you know, them living their lives. Like, were they at the same places? And the only commonality they could find was that all of them ate at Chipotle Mexican Grill in La Mesa. What is hepatitis A? Hepatitis A. It's a viral infection that basically attacks your liver, and it is spread by fecal contamination of water or food. What do you say, Sean? Look at Sean. Sean's having a tough time. I'll take him to lunch. We'll feel better. I don't know if that would help. I'm feeling Mexican here, guys. Will that be pinto or black beans? Would you like the brown beans or the black beans? So right now it hasn't been confirmed because they're doing a bunch of testing over there at the, you know, location in La Mesa, testing the employees, trying to figure out where this came from. And so far, that's kind of, well, check it out. Okay. Let's say you don't wash your hands. You have that stuff on your hands. Okay. That doesn't necessarily mean that you're going to get hepatitis A from having it on your hands. However, if you contaminate food with it.
and then somebody else consumes it, they could get it. But where does the contaminated fecal matter on your hands come from? Because if you don't have it... Okay, what you're saying then is that the only way that it happens is that the person has the virus, but it can only be spread through fecal matter. Right. Is that the way that it works? I thought that it was a situation where... Fecal matter in general, it doesn't matter if it's contaminated. It will cause it. That's what I thought. I don't know. Maybe. I don't know. I don't know either. But I don't know why they bother testing all the employees if it could be done like you said. You know, then what's the point of testing the employees? That's what I was saying because I thought that's what it was. Yeah. I have a duty. I thought, but again, we don't know. We're not doctors. I thought. Eddie's a doctor. Eddie. Eddie's a doctor. Eddie. So do you have to have it yourself? Let's have the truth. I do have a lot of tongue depressors, but. Yeah. Why do you have a lot of tongue depressors? Just in case. Just in case. You never know. All right.
You never know what. I did walk through a medical class once. You did? Yes. What did you learn? And I do believe you can catch it, whether or not you have it or not. Really? I believe so. Okay. He was walking through a class one day. There you go. That's good enough for me. I just walked through those. You can catch it. He was going to get a Coke. You can catch it, but can you give it? Like the person that doesn't have to have hepatitis A to spread it. Which does seem weird, though. They're not going to find anything now. They probably washed their hands. They washed their hands. Just a dirty bird? Dirty bird. Gross. That's right. Text number is 35253. Mikey Show. Hey, I know a way that hepatitis can get through water. I work on water treatment. It's pretty common. Well, now, there's a lot of different kinds of hepatitis. So are you talking about hepatitis A? Talking about any strain, it can travel the same way through water. Are you talking about hepatitis A? Yeah, C. Yeah, C. Hep C. Let him speak, please. What about hepatitis D? Oh, gosh. It's real easy to do. When they set up buildings and stuff, they get pipes hooked up wrong. You get actually a sewage pipe doing fresh water. Oh, man. Somebody flushes the toilet, goes right through the water, out the tap. It's toilet to tap at the finest. Yep.
Sorry, Sean. I'm sorry, Sean. Don't think about it, Sean. Sean, are you okay? Yeah, Sean, don't analyze that. Please don't think about it. Are you okay? Don't think about it as you brush your teeth at night. Oh, Eddie. Don't say that. Not cool. Don't think about it as you, you know, like last time you were sick and you said that you got that Alka-Seltzer stuff that you got to mix with tap water. Oh. That's fine. It happens up in business parks a lot. Shut up. Now you work in the business parks. Yeah, Sean, you're in one of those things. Let's talk about it. Every mile of watering. Thank you very much for the call. You don't wash your hands? Yeah, you wash your hands with bottled water. That's kind of odd. That's good, though. You're safe, Sean. Then you're good. If you do that. Only if you do that. Fine, fine, fine. P1 Brute's on the line. Hey, Mikey, how you doing? Good. Love your cologne. Thank you, thank you. My girlfriend's a nurse practitioner. She's sitting in the car next to me. I've got to listen to the Mikey show. And she says that the person who transmitted has to have the Hep A. Like, we couldn't get it from random people's fecal matter. They have to be a carrier in order for us to get it. Well, and there's six. How many people, Sky, do we know that they haven't got results back from yet? I don't know the exact numbers. I believe there were 25 employees are being tested. I don't know what percentage.
It's just so filthy that somebody has it and then they don't wash their hands and they're making food. That's really disgusting. It's just, it's terrible. And it makes me not want to go anywhere. It makes me freaked out to go anywhere. It's just kind of weird when people are touching your food. It happens anywhere you go. Hillary won in Pennsylvania and then right after she won, within 24 hours of winning, she was able to raise 10 mil. Yeah. I am ready to rumble. Oh, boy. Thousands of new donors coming in and back in Hillary after the win. You can call me Hillrod. I don't want to. Yeah, I'd rather not, actually. Heart donors or, like, what kind of donors? Financial donors. Oh, financial donors. Don't make me embarrassed. Personality donors? It's easy. Hey, the Packers are going to meet with Dante Culpepper to be a backup. Well, they're good. They're talking about it. Wow. They do need a backup. I mean, Aaron Rodgers is not the most proven quarterback in the world. So I would definitely, if I were them, sign a veteran. Guy used to be the video assistant for the Patriots, Matt Walsh. Matt Walsh. He's made an agreement with the, I guess, with the league to meet with them. Yeah, and he's going to give them.
tapes that apparently back up his argument. So this whole Patriots... Oh, so was he like the rat? Is he the one who ratted him out? No, but he has been implicated in a lot of stuff, like with the Super Bowl when that old stuff came out. You would think they would have got rid of those tapes. Yeah, well... Yeah, smart person would have. Well, he no longer works for the team. Oh. He no longer works for the team. Works for Chipotle now, which is weird. Oh, dang. Is it the one in La Mesa? That's what I heard. So, yeah, he's got these in his own personal collection and watches them for fun. He's like, ah, look, we're cheating here. This is bad for the Patriots. I think that could be bad. State of Texas is worried about culture shock with the polygamous kids. Yeah, because, I mean, these kids, you know, live a life that, you know, most mainstream kids don't. Live, you know, no TV, like never exposed. You're watching The Hills now? Yeah, no, never exposed to TV. Yeah, they go from nothing to Gossip Girl. Right, homeschooling, eating vegetables grown in their own gardens. What's a vegetable?
Right. Twice daily prayers with the whole family. I mean, just things that most kids, you know, in U.S. mainstream don't do. And now they're being put in all these foster homes over 400 children. What a trip. And so the state of Texas is trying to place them in homes without other children to kind of shelter them. So they're not immediately smacked in the face with, you know, our mainstream culture. It's a good idea. He comes home crying to his mom? Wow. I don't know. I mean, it must be hard. Like, I mean, how can you not? If you take them to the grocery store, I mean, the tabloids, like, it must just be overload for these poor kids. Yeah, I like the idea of sticking them in a house, though, where there's no other kids, because they'd probably freak out, man. With MTV and all that stuff? Yeah, well, you see the way they dress. If you've seen them in the pictures, the women are in these little house-on-the-prairie dresses, no makeup, hair pulled back in these weird braids. Unibrows. I just, okay, I don't know that that's really... I thought we were pointing out... She was making an observation. I'm pointing out different things we noticed. Guys, I mean... Just an observation. I have an idea. Wow.
I was thinking about Boston Rob losing today. Yes. Oh, yes, he did. Talk about it. A lot of us. Losing isn't really the right word. They slaughtered. Yeah, he got destroyed. Spanked! I have a punishment. Ooh. What? And the punishment was sent in by a listener, but I'm going to add to it. Okay. I'm going to add to it. We are going to make Boston Rob ride a tandem bicycle. What? We were just talking about this the other day. We were just talking about it the other day, and he was saying how ridiculous those people look on the tandem bicycles, okay? So we're going to put them on a tandem bike with Ashley. What? Hang on a minute. Hang on. Oh, my God. They'll kill each other. Hang on. Hang on. Ashley gets to pick their matching outfits. What? Oh, no. Ash, Ash, go crazy, girl. Yeah. Go crazy.
Be cute. Be as cute as possible. This is bad. Now I feel bad. Can you imagine? No, you don't. I don't. I don't at all. That is awesome. Well, first of all, there's so many layers here. There's so many layers. Yes, please. First of all, he hates it because he looks like he's going to die. What do you want me to say? He lost the last one. And you get to wear a wig. I got to go ride a tandem bike. He hates the tandem bikes. That's the first layer. Second layer is... Are you crying now? Second layer is... Being on that bike with Ashley is going to drive him nuts. That is going to be the worst part. Well, you're bigger and stronger than he is. And then he's going to have to wear a matching outfit with Ashley. I'm thinking pink. What we need to do is we need to mic them up so that it can be broadcast on the air. I love this.
This is going to be bad. Don't forget the helmets for safety. It's not safe out there. Don't wear the bike outfits. You know what you wear on a bicycle. Those little Speedos or whatever. It's adorable, Rob. You are adorable. I hope you enjoy this. I will. Take a picture of it. Believe me, we'll take video. I think pink. That's creepy. I think pink maybe would probably. That is a good color. I was thinking pink too, Mike. You were thinking pink too? Like bright pink. Oh, I love it. Bring us up. And that. It's good. Text number is 35253. I love it. I love it. Yes. Number is 5701053. Don't go away. Five three. Are you a dude? Is your favorite Bond, Timothy Dalton? Then, you are not a dude. Have you ever used your only toothbrush to clean a steelhead trout? The salesperson gave me 10% off before he even knew I was in there for the Mikey show. And then I used the Ace card and said, oh, Mikey told me to come in, and I got an additional 10. So all in all, I saved 20% on the mattress. And I bought it at Mission Valley at 11 o'clock. They had it delivered and installed in Chula Vista by 2.30 on the same day. That's rad. And what's even more amazing, since it was a Cunningham pillow top, it was personally delivered by Richie Cunningham and Patsy Weber. It was just an amazing experience. That's awesome. Hey, how do you like sleeping on it? It's amazing. I never had any problems sleeping before, but with the new mattress, it's even better.
It's completely amazing. I would recommend Sleep Train to all the P1s out there. And Richie Cunningham and Potsy Weber delivered it. Absolutely. You can definitely meet Richie and Potsy if you get the Cunningham pillow top. There you go. That's beautiful. Hey, dude, I appreciate it. Thank you for calling. Thanks, Mikey. We'll see you. Welcome to another Cable Fable Story Minute brought to you by AT&T. Once upon a time, there was a city mouse that came to stay in the country. He was a fast-talking mouse who told wild stories about inexpensive cable and exotic cheeses. Now, every mouse in the Tri-County area was taken in by his tall tails. Every mouse but one. Enter the city, said the country mouse. The cable might seem inexpensive, but you end up paying aged Parmesan prices for mild cheddar cheese, squeaked the country mouse. Hit the brakes, pal. We're sticking with AT&T instead.

The ride has improved quite a bit out here after a rough ride this morning. Man, especially out of the South Bay and along the 15, but things are pretty much back to normal right now. You've got slow traffic still in the South 5, though, as you head down to the North County coastline out of Encinitas towards Solana Beach. South 15, finding some reduced speeds through Rancho Bernardo as you kind of wind your way through that construction zone. Other than that, man, East County, South Bay rides, they're moving right along, so enjoy that nice ride right now. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Back to the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I picked my nose a lot. Eddie. I just want my sandwich like I want my sandwich. Skye. I enjoy presents. What can I say? Sean. I'm Boston Rob. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. I'm a very loving, nurturing person. On Rock 105.3. Welcome back to the Mikey Show. It's 9.33. Mayor Sanders is coming under fire after he said F you to mayoral candidate Steve Francis.
Pac-Man Jones is traded to Dallas for a fourth-round pick. Still not reinstated, though. Mikey, I think you guys should put a little basket in front of the bike so that Ashley's dog can go along, too, and all three can be dressed the same. They can be dressed the same. That'd be so cute. She can blame the dog for the stink. That's right. Oh, no. Mikey, what about Rob wearing frayed Daisy Dukes? Well, that sounds cute. Sounds really cute. I don't know about that. Welcome back to the show. Let's go to the inside hotline. Mr. Kyle Turley is on the line. Kyle Turley. How are you guys doing? Good, man. How are you? I'm good. It's been a while, huh? It has, man. It has. We haven't talked to you for a while. And let me tell you something. If you never heard Kyle Turley on the radio, he is one of the best radio interviews there is. He really is, man, because he's just a real honest guy. Tells it like it is. Sound familiar? That's right. And he's also very...
That is true. That is true. And the other thing about him is he's got a very SoCal personality. Guy likes to surf. Loves rock music. Loves rock music, loves to play music. And you still doing the thing where you're kind of getting your own producer thing going, Kyle? I started a record label about a year and a half ago, Gridiron Records. Actually got a band out of San Diego. They're unset. We're going to be running their album here. We just got done recording it up in L.A. with Mikey Doling and those guys up there. And it's unreal. Can't wait for you guys to hear it. That's cool. Awesome. Very cool. Kyle, are you still playing? Have you retired? What's going on? Yeah, I'm retiring, man. I got to walk away while I can still walk and do a lot of work with these retired players and with all the injuries I got. And some of these guys are walking around with canes in their 40s. And I don't want to be one of them. And if that's going to happen, I at least want to get some good toe surfing in before that does. It's so strange. It's so strange to hear you say it because I remember having you in the studio years and years ago, right before the NFL draft. And, you know, you were still you were just coming out of San Diego State.
And it's just now I'm thinking back, I'm going, wow. And what a career, man. Had an incredible career and great player. Great player. I appreciate it. Is it going to be tough for you or are you really going to miss the game? Oh, yeah, for sure. I'd play another five if, you know. If they paid me that money, I would. The money these kids are making now, man. You know, it's unreal. So I'll play another five. They gave me that, but it ain't going to happen. You know, I'm a league minimum guy now, and it's just not worth it for me for that. I've got too many things going on, and I've got a family to think about. But, you know, money talks, and you know what else walks. So if they came to the table, I might come out of retirement, but I don't think it's going to happen, especially after all my vocal appearances on radio shows about certain issues pertaining to the league's negligence. Kyle, let's get to know Kyle Turley, find out some stuff about you. Are you a messy guy or are you very neat and organized? I'm a good even keel. You know, I got to have a balance in my life. So I'm occasionally both. But I try to stay as neat as possible, except the worst thing that ever happened was I moved into a house at two separate bathrooms. And now my wife doesn't clean my bathroom. That's funny. Kyle Turley's on the line. Are you a text messenger?
Oh, yeah. Yeah. Well, it's convenient and quick. You know, you can get what you want said and done. You can keep in touch with more people real easy. I haven't talked to my dad in a long time and realized he's text messages, too. And so I kind of rekindled the relationship with my old man just by text messaging. It's kind of cool. With leaving voicemails, are you a quick and to the point kind of guy or do you leave long voicemails? Oh, man, long and drawn out. My wife kills me over that. She rails me. I always end up like, beep, your time's up. And I have a big question. I always push three and go back and re-record like four times. That is funny, man. What is your favorite show on TV? Family Guy, for sure. What up? Awesome. Kyle, where is home? Where do you actually call home? What city? Nash, Vegas, Tennessee. Nash, Vegas, Tennessee. That's right. I moved out. I married a Tennessee girl. So, you know, happy wife, happy life. And, you know, got a killer spread out there. And I figured four-hour plane ride is better than sitting in four hours of traffic in SoCal. And I got seven acres, killer river by my house. And, you know, live around a bunch of country and rock and roll stars. I'm hanging out with Hank 3 out there.
That's a good time. And now I'm doing all the toe surfing and can get on Surfline and check wherever it's at and hop a plane. I can be anywhere in five hours. Are you connected? Are you on MySpace? With my record label, with all that and the bands and everything. It's killer for music, but I don't have my own page or anything. Yeah. For music, though, it is pretty good. Oh, yeah. It's unreal. Do you like spending time in the studio when the guys are recording? Yeah, I do. It's really interesting to be in the studio when they're recording because you really get to see behind the closed doors of what's going on with all the different sounds that come into play. And if you're in there with some of the top guys that are doing it right now, it's unreal to watch those guys' work. It's a true talent. Eddie's got a question for you. Yeah, Cal, with the draft this weekend, can you remember what that day was like for you? Oh, yeah. Yeah, vividly, man. It was unreal. Coming out of San Diego State and being considered a top-ten pick was just a dream come true. It was a lot of hard work that paid off big time for me. Mike Dick is calling me right before they're going to pick me. Unreal experience. I had the family. I was out at my mom's house. I didn't want to go to New York. They invited me out there. I just said I want to be around friends and family. It was just a great day all around. Who was at the house that day?
You know, my mom and my family, all my relatives mostly, and they were out in Riverside or River Tucky, and we had a good time, cued it up, and I did it IE style, and it was a great day, man. Did you know you were going to go to the Saints, or were other clubs, like, throwing the fishing line out there for you? Yeah, I had no idea I was going to the Saints, so, you know, I kind of had an inkling when, after the combine, Dicko was really fired up on me. But I had taken trips to Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Miami. So I figured it was probably going to be one of those. And I didn't realize the Saints were going to pull the trigger. But that's usually how it happens. They keep it under wraps when you're in the top ten realm. And you never know. It would just be a complete surprise. In practice, did Ditka ever get all up in your face? Oh, yeah. You know, he's a demanding guy. So, you know, he never got all up in my face because I was always the guy that, you know, put my nose down and kept pushing forward and working hard. So he had a good respect for me, and it was a good relationship. See, I was wondering if he had, because I wanted to know what that first experience getting ditkatized must have been like. But you're saying you never really got it from him.
No, I'm not. You know, I'm a hardworking kid, or was a kid. And, you know, I just, like I said, put my nose down and just did my work and never missed a practice and pushed through everything injury-wise that I could and, you know, was always there. So they got a lot of respect for that. You know, you get yelled at for making mistakes here and there and screwing up a play, jumping outside. But, you know, aside from that, they respect you if you're out there every day pushing it and trying to get better. Our girl Sky's got a question for you. Yeah, I know everybody feels different about the draft. Some people, it's so huge. How much of it are you going to watch? I don't know. I might be driving through Mexico, so I don't think I'll watch any of it. Oh, my gosh. The first pick's already been an offensive tackle, so it's going to be a good one. Nice. It's going to be an interesting one. Do you know anything about that kid, Kyle? Yeah, my agent represents him, and I've watched him in the games that I was able to see on TV this last season during the college season, and he's got a lot of talent, man. It was great to see, though, a guy like an offensive lineman get that first pick finally because some of these quarterbacks, like last year, Jamarcus Russell, getting all that money, and the guy's sitting on the bench the whole freaking season, and this guy's going to go right in, plug right in.
start, get in the field, and be playing immediately and make an impact on that team, whereas a lot of skill position guys get all that stinking money and they're sitting on a bench for a year, and then they kind of get all fat and fat. I heard Jamarcus Russell blew up to like 300-something pounds this last offseason. Whoa! Yeah, I mean, you know, this guy, you give it to the right people, and I'm fired up that that happened. Kyle Turley's on the line. So, Kyle, we can wave a magic wand, and the magic wand says that for the next week, you don't have any commitments. You don't have to be anywhere. You can surf the entire next week. What location do you choose to surf for the next week? Oh, there's a big swell possibly coming in down there at Porto. I'm going to go back there with Channy. I just got back from there. It was unreal. And I'm finally catching on and getting better at the toe thing. So I might be able to drop in on some big bombs and get a nice pick for the mags. So I'm fired up on that. But all the boys are heading over to Chopo. I guess it's going to be like 50 foot or something. It's supposed to be massive. So not ankle slappers. No. And he's all about the ankle slappers. All that stuff that Kyle just said, I've never said that stuff before. You know, that sounded cool, Kyle.
I try to make it sound like I know what I'm talking about. Hey, dude, you did. It really did. Listen, Kyle, if we could have you on the show every week, I would. You're fun to talk to. You're very honest, and you're very up front about stuff. I really like that. Yeah, come in again, Kyle. I'll be the Rock 105.3 whatever guy. Don't tempt us and threaten us. We'll do it, man. We'll actually take you up on it. Hey, I grew up lifting you guys, man. You guys stretched all the way out there to Marino Valley, and you play my kind of music. I'm a metalhead, and that's what I've been about since I was a youngster and would love to be a part of it. Throw me a couple bars of surf wax and I'm in. That's awesome. That's awesome. Hey, dude, that's what we should have you do this summer. We should have you be like the surf report guy. No, I can't take Channy's job. No way. He does it for Missy. He can do it for our show. Yeah, yeah. That's fair. I can't do it like he does it. No way. There you go. All right, Kyle, we appreciate you coming on, man. I appreciate it. Hey, if I could plug a charity I'm working with right now that's unreal. Everybody's bitching about the war and trying to get it over with, and I found a killer charity. I'm always on the search, and it's one that Four Wheel Parts stores is doing. It's called Operation Lightsaber.
Go to fourwheelparts.com, check it out. They're matching dollar for dollar, sending lights over to Iraq for the vehicles over there that are only given to them with stock lighting. And these letters are coming back, how they're saving lives over there, being able to see bombs at night and ambushes coming. And if you look into it, it's a real legit program and saving lives over there and helping this thing get over with a lot quicker. God bless you, Kyle. That's great. That is great. It's really cool, man. Awesome. Always, always on the search, brother. Got to make it happen. You can't sit on the sidelines and bitch. You know, if you're going to bitch, you got to get out there and try to be a part of the solution. I like it. Huge. I like it. All right, Kyle. Thanks a lot, man. Thank you, guys. Take care. We'll see you. He's a real genuine guy, man. I love that guy. That's cool. Really cool. I remember when he walked into the studio the first time he came in the studio 10 years ago or whatever. No, it was more than that. Yeah. Yeah, it was more than that. It was. And he walked in the studio. This is when I did nights. He is gigantic. And what was so weird then was that he was that gigantic and he looked like a kid. I mean, he looked like a kid. And I was going through, I had this guide in front of me that told me all about him as a player because we were getting ready for the draft. And I said, Kyle, it says here that you have a mean streak.
And that's what they look for. In an offensive lineman, that's real positive. They want that mean streak. And I said, do you think that that's true? I'm a 22-year-old kid I'm talking to or whatever. I go, do you think that's true? He goes, yeah, I think that's true. And I go, well, what does that mean? He goes, well, you know, I guess you get a little pissed off sometimes. Scott, do you remember when he came in the studio? Oh, yeah. And he told the story about when he threw the helmet across the field. Yes. You know, when he was with the Saints. Love that. That's a great story, man. But he's the best. Kyle Turley. We got to take one more break, right? Yep. Okay. 3-5-2-5-3. I have to get to an appointment today, P1s, and I apologize. So we have to wrap up on time, which we never do. We never wrap up on time, but I apologize. You apologize. I apologize. But we have to wrap up on time today. I'm sorry. Back with more show. I always hear you guys talking about AIS and stuff, you know? So I went down to the insurance company in Escondido to see what they could do for me. And they saved me $130 a month, man. I couldn't believe it. That's so great. I was under the impression that Sky and Eddie had switched to AIS like a year ago. And they haven't?

How much they love Johnsonville brats. It's hysterical. Here's one from P1 Uncle Stovepipe. He says, you remember yesterday we were talking about deodorant, how you eat meat. It makes you have BO. Well, he says, I will always be using deodorant because I refuse to give up my Johnsonville brats. I will be grilling them up with some mustard and sauerkraut on the side this Saturday while watching the NFL draft. And then says, sausages, sausages, sausages, sausages. I've heard from P1 Sanjaya and a bunch of other P1s that say they're going to be grilling up Johnsonville brats at the P1 sticker strike. They're going to be, like, tailgating out there, which I think is rad. And, you know, this weekend, talk about a perfect time to grill up Johnsonville brats. The NFL draft is going on. Have yourself some delicious Johnsonville brats.

And now, another reason to switch to GEICO. You have better things to think about than car insurance. It makes doing everything from updating your policy to reporting a claim fast, easy, a no-brainer. Hey, with all you've got on the brain, it's the least we could do. So to help tell her story, we hired the Pips. Not long ago, I was in a car accident. With GEICO's Auto Repair Express, the adjuster, repair shop, and rental car were all right there. To tap it off, my rates stayed the same. Mexico once postponed Cinco de Mayo simply because he had a scheduling conflict. He popularized the sombrero, then purposely unpopularized it. People have parties to commemorate his parties. Bulls flat out refuse to fight him.
200 Mexican folk songs alone have been written about his beard. He can make a mule gallop. During a blackout, he kept Mexico illuminated using nothing but his aura as a generator. In any remote village in the Yucatan, there is a 70% chance of finding a shrine dedicated to him. He is the most interesting man in the world. I don't always drink beer, but when I do... Prefer Dos Equis. Enjoy Dos Equis responsibly. Imported by Cervezas Americanas, White Plains, New York. Stay thirsty, my friend. KIOZ San Diego. KIO! Ladies and gentlemen. KIO! No, see, he ruined it. Oh, gosh. Text messages. Hey, Mikey, are you sure that B-Rob is going to be able to reach the pedals? No. Oh. That's all. Ha, ha, ha, ha. That's when you know you get them. Yeah. He does that laugh. Mm-hmm. Uh.
Mikey, make sure the bike has a neat little bell so they can announce their presence with a sweet little ring. Love it. Not a good idea. Love it. If you're just tuning in for losing today, Rob is going to be riding a tandem bike with Ashley. I love it. And Ashley gets to pick their outfits. They're going to match. Pick their matching outfits. Their matching outfits. Yeah, most definitely. Is she sitting in the front? You know it, baby. Oh, great. Are they going to be downwind from her? Oh, really? Oh, yeah. Sweat flying off. Talk however you want, bro. I'm taking the outfits. Just remember that. Have fun with that. So there it is. It sounds like they get along so well. They can't wait to do this together. It's going to be fun. They just love being together. They can't get enough of it. That is adorable. So anyway, there it is. Oh, look at that. Hey guys, what's going on? That guy, that Dr. Wayne. That Dr. Wayne calling in. Yeah, what do you want? I was just listening to what you guys were saying about Rob paying off the bet with Ashley there. Right. And I just wanted to say that in case Ashley pulls a muscle or anything like that, maybe I could take her spot or Zeph could.
Well, I don't know that Ashley's going to pull any kind of muscles or anything. That doesn't make sense. And if it does happen, I'm sure we'll find somebody suitable like Skye to replace. Yeah, it makes sense. Ashley. I could do it. We didn't. We don't even know you really, Dr. Wayne. Why would you? And that doesn't really make sense to me. Well, that's what I've been trying to get to do for a long time. I was trying to send you links to my MySpace page and get to know you a little bit. Skye, have you received any emails from me? I have not. Not a single one. That's weird. Either have I. Really? Nothing here. Hey, I just wanted to let you guys know I was just over at MikeyShow.com. You have not posted pictures yet of today's competition between Eddie and... Yeah, they'll be up real soon. Yeah, before the end of the day, Dr. Wayne. It's okay. Calm down. Okay, well... Hey, I just wanted to let you guys know one of my other hobbies is building websites. If you send the pictures to me, I could probably post them on my site right away. Well, we don't need that. That sounds creepy. We already have two websites, MikeyShow.com and Rock1053.com. Yeah, they're not on there yet, though, so just send them to me. Calm down. We don't really need you. I've worked in the industry for a while. What industry? The picture posting industry. That doesn't sound like an industry. I don't know if I've heard of that. It's kind of creepy. I noticed the other day Mikey was telling us to take some pictures and didn't have a camera.
Oh, yeah. That's true. He did forget his car. I love Rob's chin. I remember that. So what's the deal, Seth? You didn't get the Polaroid I sent you? No, I didn't. Okay, because I sent you a Polaroid camera and asked you to take some pictures with it. What? Whoa. Calm down, everybody. His car, I'm into cars. Dr. Wayne. That's still weird. Why is it weird that I asked the guy to take a picture of his automobile? I'm into automobiles. You're sending him a camera. Zef owns a lemon, and you want him to take pictures of his car. Right. Okay. And? That was it. That's it. He seemed upset. Whatever, guys. I mean, draw your own conclusions. I think we all have. All right. Well, fine, then. If you're going to be like that about it, put me on hold, and I'll get Boston Rob's. I am a dress. That is neither here nor there. That makes no sense, Dr. Wang. Fine, Zeth, what's your home address? No, dude, no. You're weirding me out. It's going too far. You guys are acting like a bunch of pansies over there. Hang on a second. My wife is calling me. What's she saying? Yes, honey, what's going on? Oh, you'll want to make love again. I don't hear anybody. I never hear her. I never hear her. Where is she? Can we talk to her? Can we talk to your wife, Dr. Wang?
Yeah, no problem. Hang on a second. Honey, honey, Skye would like to talk to you here on the phone. Okay, here, yeah, here you go, honey. Hello. Okay. That's you, Dr. Wayne. This is Nancy Wayne. No, that's you. No, that's you, Dr. Wayne. Yes, my husband and I have to make love now. Okay. Stop it. It was nice to talk to all you people. Oh, you are not buying it. Anyway. I better get going. Okay. My breasts are huge. I'm definitely not buying it. Dr. Wayne, can I buy a huge phone call? Oh, my gosh. Tell you what. 570-1053 is a phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show. It's an open phone segment. So you can call in about anything you want. And we will talk to you. And we don't, it's anything. You can ask questions. You can feedback, whatever you want. Laugh at Rob. Yeah, Rob lost. Lost again. Yeah, I believe he was slaughtered. He scored one point in two games. He got looked. Yeah, he really did have a funny style when he was throwing those horseshoes. There's no style, Mike. It was really bad. Rob, what was it?
What would you call that particular sort of form? I learned it on my travels. I ended up in southern Wales. There it is. Absolutely offensive. Mikey Show. Hey, what up, Mikey? It's P1 Pons. How are you? Good, man. What's up? I just want to tell Eddie that he needs to just calm down, take a Zantac. Isn't Zantac for allergies? I am feeling a little itchy. My eyes are... Eddie, take a Zantac. I need it. It looks like you're getting some hay fever. I've already taken a Claritin. I'm good. All right, good. Thank you. Mikey's show. Hello. Rob, what's up? Not so much. It's Mikey. What's going on? Hey, Mikey. Did you guys watch the, I don't know if you watched Law & Order or anything last night, but the whole thing was like based on Tom Brady being gay. They had his number. They had his team. They said that supermodel he was dating, it was all phony, but they never actually said his name. More of that heart-cremitating life thing.
Ripped from the headlines. That's right. Thank you for the call. Mikey, show last call. Bring us home. Hey, Mikey, two things. One thing on the Mira Mesa Chipotle, you got to have the virus to shed it. It was La Mesa. And the word is spread it. Yes, yes. And? You know, on the tattoo thing on your billboard, what's up with that? The top two thing? Tattoo thing on your billboard. What's up with that? What do you mean? I think it means your tattoos. Say again? Haven't you seen your billboard up there in Encinitas? Well, yes, I have. Have you seen it, Mike? But what do you mean about the tattoo part? Well, I'm just curious. What's the deal with your tattoo? Why do you have it? Why do I have the tattoo? Yeah. Well, I love Jesus Christ. You have a lot of tattoos. Yeah. I have a lot of tattoos. Do you mean why do I have that particular tattoo you're looking at? Yeah, the big sleeve. What's that all about? Yeah, what are you, a tough guy? Hey, did you know what happens to tattoos? No. What? That over time, they fade until they become indistinguishable. You can't see anything. Oh, my God. Wow. Wow. You're a genius. Who cares, dude? He likes you. Take it easy. I'm sorry. This guy's so smart, and he's just breaking off knowledge for us. Hey, listen. Go chew on some rocks, and then when you're done, fall down a foot and stand. Thank you, Rob. All right?
everything. Forget them. And Mike, why is your head floating on the billboard? It looks like it's just floating around all the time. Question everybody. Get out of here. Go around. Ladies and gentlemen, the lovely and talented Missy is up next. She's got the lost and found. That means she will be playing songs that haven't been heard in a long time. And I hope you enjoy. Call her with your request and we'll check you tomorrow morning at 5.30. Mikey Show's out, ladies. Love your mouth.
