Photographer Annie Leibovitz says she's sorry that her pictures of Miley Cyrus have been misinterpreted. Roger Clemens' meteoric downfall continues. Reports are saying that Clemens had an affair with country singer Mindy McCready. Well, welcome to the show. It's a Mikey show on a Tuesday. And you can call us at 570-1053. Love to hear from you. There's seven people on the Mikey show, so let me go around and... Quickly introduce. I'm the host of the show. My name is Mikey and I am 37 years old and went swimming yesterday. Yeah, my mom says that if you work out with weights in the water that it's really good. And I was like, yeah, but I go, aren't you not getting it? Because, you know, she had these little weights.
Yeah, water weights, right? She was over there yesterday, I guess, yeah, because they're like, I think they are. It's like out of the water, they're like light as a feather. Out of the water, they seemed like kind of, they seem kind of heavy. They were definitely waterproof, so I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong about this. Maybe the truth is you would grab them and go, yeah, dude, they're not heavy or they are heavy or whatever. I don't know. Yeah, because everything I've seen of water weights, they're actually like foam. They kind of look like foam. They look and feel kind of like foam, but they're heavy. Oh, I don't know. I don't know either. But anyway, so I held one in the water, and it was real easy in the water. And so I said to my mom, I'm like, Well, it doesn't seem like there's any resistance. How does that do anything for you? Yeah, the foam ones give resistance. They do? Because it's actually like, it's like almost like they're full of air, you know, so it's like trying to pull like a balloon underwater. You know what I mean? See, dude, I don't think these are right then. Yeah, I think those are like normal everyday ways.
Well, they were like water. They weren't going to get damaged by the water, which is what made me think that they were like for the water. Maybe they're just waterproof. Yeah, probably. But I said to her, I go, Mom, I go, I don't think that's going to work. And she goes, she goes, why? I go, because it's not hard. And she goes and she goes, no, I talked to Rebecca's mom and she said it's really good. And I go. Okay. Yeah, maybe she bought the wrong thing. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe it is the wrong thing. Who knows? Got a full weight bench under there. Seriously. Underwater. You know, bench pressing. A Bowflex. Yeah, exactly. I got the underwater Bowflex. Sick. It's good for you. Dude, have you guys seen those weights that you dial the dumbbells, you dial the thing, and it pulls? Doesn't that look cool? Yeah. Awesome. Yeah. I mean, I'm looking at it, and I'm like, well, I know I'd use it for five minutes and then be like, you know, just like everything else. But for whatever reason, when I first see it, I'm like, oh, I would use it all the time. Obviously. I wonder how much that costs, too. Not much. No, come on, dude. Do you know?
I don't know. Outrageous. I bet. Because I think what it is, and you know what? Call us if you own one. But I think it's a stand, two stands, and then the dumbbells sit on the stands, and that's it. I think that's all you buy. And then you dial up 40 pounds, 30 pounds, 25, whatever, and then you lift, and that's what comes out. Have you seen them, Ash? No. Ash, they're the bomb. It's like, it's, it's cool, dude. It's like, okay, check it out. Check it out. Right. It's a picture like a stand. All right. That looks like a, um, uh, like, you know, when you go and you read sheet music and they have a stand for sheet music and it goes up and down. I picture something similar to that. Right. And sitting in it is what looks like a gigantic dumbbell with like, you know, five weights on it. Right. Well, at the end of the dumbbell is this dial and you dial in 25 pounds, right? Then you put your hand on the bar and you lift up and only 25 pounds of dumbbell comes out. Awesome. You put it back in there and you dial up like 60 pounds and you lift it and the whole thing comes out. Nice. Make sense? Yeah. So. Yeah. So I'm seeing stuff online like they have like knockoff versions for like 60 bucks or.
like $150, but the Bowflex ones, it doesn't tell you online, but it says that you can apply for credit for six easy monthly payments. Give me a break. Yeah, so that must be... At the lowest, what could those six easy monthly payments be? I would say at the lowest, $40, six easy payments of $40. Come on, Mike, it's like $39.99. $39.99? Seriously, it would. She's right. It would never be like a normal. Yeah. Has to be something 99. Not a deal. Yeah. Well, on Amazon, they have these Bowflex dumbbells where you dial the weight, but it doesn't come with the whole rack. I think this is like a smaller version of what you're thinking of, and that's $400. Oh. Wow. I'll send you this link. Dude. Oh, wait. Screw. Mom. And this isn't even like the big boy that you're talking about. Where are you? There you are. Mom. Mom. I want to buy a Bowflex. Mom. No, skee-ball. I think that's exactly it. Okay, because the ones that they were showing on the Bowflex website come with like a huge old rack of them, and you can dial it up from the rack.
Those are just dialed up on. These probably sit on the floor, huh? Yeah, those sit on the floor. It's not like on a rack. That kind of blows. Yeah, but $400. Maybe I could hire Boston Rob to build me a stand. And then you can hire me to come up there and lift them. That's right. Hey, Rob, I really want to work out today, man. Can you come lift for me for like 30 minutes? Just as hard as you can, bro. Crazy. I think Sky's right. Yeah, here's the Bowflex dumbbell stand. And guess how much? 139 bucks. So you're looking at $540. You should get it. Wow. Impulse buy. Come on. Dude. Come on. I'm telling you, man. A long time ago. Eddie and I went to a very rich dude's house, and he had a full-on, like, handball court. Oh, sick. In the house. It was Lars. Oh. Lars Ulrich. I'm like, who's that? And he had a full-on, like, no, it was a racquetball court. Yeah, it was a racquetball court. It was a racquetball court, and it was downstairs. The racquetball court was downstairs. But he also had that workout room.
He had all these machines, man. And he said basically all he did in there was like run on the treadmill. Run. No, you know, I'll run. With my clogs. Yeah. $540. That's a lot of money. I wonder if it works. It sure does. Well, I mean, it works the same as any other weight. I want to look like that dude in the commercial. Well, I mean. Tan. Yeah, they don't make you tan. Skinny. Cut. Ripped. Yeah. You know, abs that are all ripply. They don't make you skinny either. Believe it or not. They don't make you skinny, right? No, cardio makes you skinny. It does? Yeah, but I don't like that. Lift and weight just gives you more muscle. That cardio stuff hurts. Yeah, it does. It makes you uncomfortable while you're doing it. Yeah. Although.
Like our friend, Rebecca's friend Lori, she's going to run in the rock and roll marathon. Wow. And so is our friend Wendy. And she'll come over and she'll be like, yeah, you know, I did my run today, you know, practicing, blah, blah, blah. How many miles do you run? 18. Oh, gosh. Tell her that we have cars now. I know. Why don't you do that in a car? It's quicker. Yeah, it's quicker. It wouldn't hurt at all. Oh, gosh. I can't imagine doing that. I just can't imagine doing that. I hate running. I do too. I hate people that run. I'm so jealous of them. What did you say, Rob? I said it would take all weekend. You run, don't you, Rob? Yeah, not 18 miles, though. How far can you run before you're just wasted? A couple miles. Like two miles? Yeah. A couple feet. I could probably do 15, 20 feet. Don't push it. I know it. Eddie's our producer and sports guy. He's 35 years of age. Sky is our news girl. She is 30. She's wearing green today. Shawnee, oh boy. He is 38. He does sound effects for The Mikey Show.
Ashley is a blonde gal with brown eyes, and she is 24 years old. She's our assistant producer, so she does a lot of stuff. Boston Rob is our phone screener, and he also is a singer and a songwriter. He's a really talented guy, and he's very funny. He doesn't talk a lot, but when he does, he's usually kind of funny. He's 25, and he's getting married this year. To a lovely gal named Sarissa, which every time I'm writing you an email and I have to spell her name, it's always a challenge. Really? I don't know how many C's, how many S's, how many this. It's very confusing for me. And then there is Roosevelt Zethian Oates III Esquire Jr. And he is a young man. He is 23 years of age, very tall. And he recently took clippers to his head. So now he looks like Ed Norton from American History X. But he's a very, very sensitive and tender kid. We love him. 570-1053 is the phone number. And how is everyone feeling today? Are we feeling all right? Terrific.
He's in a weird place. I'm not lying to you. What are you talking about, Skye? What are you talking about? He's in a weird place. We're talking about this morning. He woke up a little different than usual. What does this mean? He said he was in a dead sleep and he woke up to the alarm and didn't know what day it is, what was going on, what was happening. You know, one of those mornings. Eddie, are you an alarm waker or do you wake before the alarm goes on? I 90% of the time wake up before my alarm. So what happened and what made, what, what happened? Dead asleep in the middle of a dream. I can vividly remember what the dream was. Nothing crazy. It was just a dream. And my alarm went off and I was like, what? Like, where am I? Who, who is this? Who am I? Who's this next beside me? What's happening? I didn't know. It was like middle of the shower until I finally like woke up and I was like, wow. I don't know why. It's not like I went to bed late or anything. Yeah, so he's being weird today. His wife gave him roofies last night. And he's already talking about wanting to do a Starbucks run. How Eddie responds to caffeine. Oh, I love it all. Gets a little crazy. He gets crazy. Look at him, Mike. I can already see it right now. He's in a strange mood. I don't know.
Okay, I'm going to let P1s know right now. Expect anything. I'm telling you right now, I'm looking at this guy. I know. He's like pretending to smoke a cigarette. I don't know why he doesn't smoke. I am telling you. You don't smoke. 570105. Hey, did you go to Benihana last night? Oh, boy. Uh-oh. It's my favorite food on the planet. It's my favorite food on the planet. I love it. Yeah, we went there last night. Took my wife and her family. Did you eat a lot? Dude, I was in a food coma and miserable. That might be why I slept so much. I'm still ridiculously full from last night. I ate so much. I was kind of embarrassed, but I didn't care. Everybody had take-home bags. They come to me and I'm like, I got nothing. I got nothing for you. That's awesome. That's crazy. Yeah, you know, Wednesday, last Wednesday, Rebecca asked if she could take me on a date. And I said, yes, you can. That's so sweet. So she says, you get to pick. Now, that doesn't happen all the time because what will happen is I will always be the one to make the suggestion.
And she'll usually always say, okay, but you can see in the face like, oh, it's so begrudgingly. So when she said I get to pick, I knew I wasn't going to get begrudgingly so it could be anything I want. So that's what I decided I want. There's a hibachi place. Oh, yeah. And I think I'm with you, dude. I think I decided it may be like my favorite thing. I don't know what it is about that food, but it is so good. It's good. I love the antics. Like the onion volcano. The stuff with the eggs. Japanese egg roll. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Not enough every time. It's the same bit every time. But it's good. It's a gift that keeps on giving. Oh, yeah. Genius. Fried rice, steamed rice. Let me tell you something. That fried rice is crazy. And I try to figure out how they do it. It's something about that garlic butter they put in there. I don't know what it is, but it's something about that damn garlic butter. Because I've tried to make it on my walk at home, and it doesn't come even close to how that tastes. And you know what? Benihana does it the best. Oh, yeah. Because we've been to the other hibachi places, and they don't have it figured out like Benihana does. Really? It's the original, man. Benihana has it figured out. They've got some kind of magic in that butter, and it's garlicky.
Yeah, real good. It's real good. And I like going with Rebecca because she barely eats hers. And so I get to take all of hers home. Yes, yes, yes. Oh, I love it. Skye, do you like hibachi food? Yeah. You do too? Yeah, well, they cook chicken, they cook steak. I'm good. And you're in on rice and you're in on all the veggies. I do get the steamed rice and my husband yells at me every time. But, like, how dare you get steamed rice when fried rice is offered to you? You have no idea. That fried rice is crazy. I'm not a fan of fried rice. Just in general. Oh, no. Just in general. Eddie doesn't understand. Well, I'm just saying. He doesn't understand. I'm nothing against anyone. I'm just saying for me personally, I'm a steamed rice cow. You're a mess. Oh, wow. I'm a mess. Yeah, Rebecca won't eat it either because it's got eggs in it. And she's never tasted eggs, but she doesn't want to. She doesn't like eggs? Well, she's never. No. See, you can't say that, Ashley, because that would imply that she's tried them. She's never had an egg. No. She thinks they look foul. No pun intended. Yeah. Get it? But she had to have had an egg in something. Oh, yeah. Like when you bake stuff and it's got eggs in it. Right. Sure. Or like a lasagna. No. She doesn't eat lasagna either?
She eats lasagna, but not with the eggs in it. What do you use egg in lasagna? Dude, it's the great... You mix it with the ricotta. Oh, oh, oh. Not that. I didn't think you were thinking that. Yeah, lots of places mix it with the ricotta. It makes it hold better. So there's actually eggs in there. Maybe she didn't even know that. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. What are you talking about? Oh, this is going to be gross. Whatever it is, get prepared for it to be gross. It's gross. Come on, Eddie. I'm a little nervous what you're about to say. Okay, I want one person to support this. I'll tell you, but you have to support me. I support you. I'll support you, boy. I will not. Don't judge me. I never do judge anyone against my nature. Hard-boiled eggs in the lasagna. Okay. Hard-boiled eggs. Hard-boiled eggs. How does that work? A full, I don't know. Just cut in half a hard-boiled egg. Where? When you cut into the lasagna and you open it up, you see a hard-boiled egg. Oh, dude. I'll try it. What? It doesn't, I mean. Oh, it's so good. It's so good. Like a cream filling, but not? It's so good, Skye. Why would you want a hard-boiled egg in there? It's so good. In between the noodles? Oh, yeah. Get the whole marinara and everything over there.
have melted together. It's delicious. It's so good. I'm not against it, but I don't... By the way, did I tell you guys that when we go to that place, like, Rebecca, we couldn't go to Benihana as a group. And, like, if you guys went to Benihana last night, we couldn't go with you. Because of stuff cooked on the grill? Stuff cooked on... We have to go in the middle of the week when it's not busy so that we can get our own... hibachi table so that no fish touches the thing or it'll gross her out. Until you get the shrimp? Yeah, but as long as we're there early, we ask the guy, can you not cook the shrimp until after hers has been cooked? So he's got to cook. He's got to be able to flip the tail into his hat. Yeah, and he does. And she delights in it. But it has to be after everything is cooked. If she senses that there's any smell or thing about fish, you know, she goes into a weird-out coma. P1 Dave is on the line. Hi, Dave. David. Davey. Hello, Dave. Dave, can you hear me? Maybe something's not pressed. Hello? Dave? Hello, Dave? Dave? Dave? Dave, can you hear me? Dave? Dave?
Dave? Dave? Can you hear me? Yeah, can you hear me? Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now? I can hear you. Okay, you can. Is he listening to the radio? What's going on? No, he's not. Dave? No, it's P1 Damon, actually. Damon. Oh, that's probably a problem. Calling him the wrong name. Damon. Damon? Damon? Yeah. Oh. All of that confusion. I called him Dave instead of Damon? Yeah. Wow. Damon, what can I do for you? On Friday, I let you know about the Carrier documentary that was going on on PBS. I wondered if you guys checked that out. I told my dad about it on Sunday, and he said, and I go, we were sitting at the dinner table, and I said, Dad, a listener called in, and he said there's this documentary, and it's going to be in HD, and it's on Life on a Carrier. He said it's tonight.
And I go, really? I go, cool, then I'm going to go tape it. It was because I'm on satellite. My dad said that at 6 o'clock and he said it was on the National Geographic channel. And I went and checked and all it was was stuff about Hitler. There was nothing that night about carriers or anything. So I must have missed it. It must have been like East Coast time. It must have come on at 3 o'clock or something. Wasn't it on PBS? Yes, it was on PBS. That's the problem. That was the problem. I know what you're talking about. There is a thing called Carrier that is on the National Geographic channel that aired on Sunday. I don't know if it's the same thing or not. What was the program you were talking about called, bro? It's actually Carrier. It's about the 2005 Nimitz deployment. Yeah, I missed it, man. Yeah, I read about it. I think it was like an Entertainment Weekly. It was actually supposed to be really, really good. Yeah, I wish I would have seen it. Sorry, dude. The episodes continue. You've got Episode 5 starting at 9 o'clock tonight. They do 5 and 6 tonight, 7 and 8 tomorrow. Episode 5 is The Empire Strikes Back. Episode 4 is A New Hope. And then Episode 6 is, of course, Return of the Jedi. Well, I'm glad that I didn't miss it all, and we'll try to watch some of it. Thank you, bro, for the call. 570-1053 is our phone number, and our text number is 35253.
Just after 7 o'clock, the Iron Man fashion show will begin. Get out here. Get out here. It's going to be awesome. It's going to be behind the radio station. We're at 9660 Granite Ridge. Take a few minutes to come and watch. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. Be late for work. Maybe when passes to the premiere tonight. Yeah, yeah. Here's what you do. If you're on the 15, get off on Arrow, head west. When you hit Daily Center, take a left. And then your first right, you're on Granite Ridge. You'll see this big building. It says Clear Channel. And take a right into the parking lot. Go all the way around to the back and go up. Go over the moat. That's right. Go over the moat. Pass the dragon. Yep. And you'll get to a guy with one leg and say, the eagle is friendly. Oh. And he will let you through. Maybe. It's very easy. So, Barry Zito. Oh, don't even like. Don't. No, no, no. It's news. It's news. But I can't handle it. It's the worst. He's the worst. Whoa. Whoa. Hey. I know. He's our friend. He's going to be a great middle reliever. But we paid what? Like $120 gabillion or something? Very close. $126 gabillion. Oh. Huh?
Well, Sky's a fan of the San Francisco Giants. The Jiggities. Yeah, and we are Padre fans. Right. I mean, we had kind of been on a winning streak, and then the other night, oh, it's Barry Zito's turn to pitch. Oh, what, second inning, like nine to one? Padre fans, when she says we, she means her and her husband. Oh, man, it's ridiculous. I want a refund. Yeah, Zito cost $126 million, and Eddie says, what's the latest with Barry? Well, they have decided that Barry's time as a starter is over. No way. And they're going to move him to the bullpen. We hate Justin. For a middle reliever. Okay. That's stupid. That is stupid. Yeah. I hope you have the receipt. Yeah. Oh, God. No exchanges. No exchanges? No, sorry. Like, can I exchange him for, like, Mike's son, Jake, or something? Yeah, he would do better. He would. He would do better. He's got a nasty curveball. Oh, man. That's nuts. That is really. I don't know what happened to that guy. He is. Well, Eddie, because I don't know that much about baseball. I don't know any of this. I don't know any of this. Tell me. I don't know any of this. Do guys ever go this far down and then recover and come back and just be amazing? You know, baseball more than any other sport is a mental game. And sometimes guys do get in this weird mental place where they're like.
forget how to play. There's this thing in baseball where sometimes catchers get these mental blocks where they just psych themselves out and can't literally throw the ball to the pitcher. It's weird. It's really psychological and weird. They overthink everything. I'm sure Zito is in that zone right now where he can't figure anything out. He thinks he... You know, we'll change this and we'll fix it and it didn't work. And maybe if I tweak this and it doesn't work. Like, he's probably in this weird zone where, like, nothing is working. And so, really, I mean, he may work himself out of this, but, oh, man, it is brutal. That's a tough situation to be in. Yeah, it is. Because he's a good dude. Yeah, he is. He's a great guy. Yeah, he is. Not so good on the mound lately. Not really. P1 Scooby's on the line. Scoob. You better not, Scooby. What's going on? What's going on? Not too much. I want to ask Eddie if he saw the Deal or No Deal episode last night. Oh, yeah, dude. Did you see it, Eddie? Eddie? Eddie? Oh, wow. I'm a little furious. Oh, no. Let me explain. My wife loves Deal or No Deal. It's one of her favorite shows. So I don't like to take up space with the Deal or No Deal.
on the TiVo downstairs. So I season passed it for her upstairs and she watches it on her leisure. And I had assumed that it was taping upstairs because we were out at Benihana and I was going to be able to come home and watch it or whatever. And I said something about it and she goes, oh yeah, it's not taping. And I go, what do you mean? I go, isn't it season passed? She goes, no, it's not season passed anymore. How did that happen? You don't even know how to use the TiVo. Like, why is it not season pass anymore? So what happened? So she ran upstairs and recorded it like 20 minutes into the show, so I don't know what tape. Why wasn't it season pass anymore? I don't know. I don't know any of this. I was mad, and so I chose not to say anything. Oh. Wow, Eddie. Well. So hopefully I caught most of it, but I'm a little angry. I think I can go to NBC.com, and I think they replay it there, which I will. Yeah, I want to know if it was any good. Thank you. I want to let you know something really quick. Go ahead. Carrie Fisher at the end of Carrie Fisher on the episode. Well, don't ruin anything for it. Don't ruin. Don't ruin Scooby. Scooby. Scooby. Don't ruin anything. You do that all the time. You do that. I do not do that. You know when I don't watch Lost. Really? And I tell you about it? Yes. That's not true. Now look what you've done, Scooby. They should fight about it. You didn't do it last week. Here's the plan today.
Iron Man fashion show just after 7 o'clock. We are talking people dressed as Iron Man and a full fashion show. And it's going to happen outdoors behind the radio station. Anybody's welcome to come down and watch. It's going to be awesome. I'm so excited. Me too. Oh, I know. It's going to be great. There's a stage. There's a stage. Because I went through the performance studio this morning to get my coffee and the stage was gone. And I'm like, where's the stage? That's awesome. So we are at 9660 Granite Ridge Drive. Come down here. It's Tuesday. I think that on Tuesdays, like there's a whole deal where like. Bosses don't care if you're five hours late. It's a whole Tuesday. It rhymes. The phrase is, on Tuesdays, it's okay to be late. It's like a limerick. Anyway, we're going to be doing that just after 7 o'clock. Jon Favreau will be calling in. Jon Favreau, you know from... He's an actor, first of all. He was in Swingers. Cut 40.
This is Nicky. Leave a message. Hi, Nicky. This is Mike. I met you at the Dresden tonight. I just called to say that I had a great time and you should call me tomorrow or in two days, whatever. Anyway, my number is 213-555-4679. He didn't like that message. This is Nicky. Leave a message. Hi, Nikki, this is Mike again. I just called because it sounded like your machine might have cut me off before I finished leaving my number. Anyway, and also, sorry to call so late, but you were still at the Dresden when I left, so I knew I'd get your machine. Anyhow, my number is 21... Oh, man. Better call back. Cut him off again. This is Nikki. Leave a message. 213-555-4679. That's it. Just want to leave my number.
I didn't think I was weird or desperate. Stop calling back. This is Nicky. Leave a message. Nicky, Mike. This just isn't working out. No. Maybe we should just take some time off from each other. It's what I'm going through. All right. It's only been six months. Mike. Nicky. Mike. Did you just walk in or were you listening all along? Don't ever call me again. Wow. Wow. I guess you're home. Oh. My favorite. So brutal. My favorite part of that clip is him going, wow. Well, anyway, the reason that we're having that actor, Jon Favreau, on is because he has directed the film Iron Man. Yeah.
So we're going to be talking to him and telling him all about the Iron Man fashion show. Somebody is going to win. One person is going to win tickets to see the premiere of Iron Man in Los Angeles. Probably meet Jon Favreau in person. They're going to be going up there in a limousine. Wow. Wow. We got a random debate coming up. What else we get? North Turner will be on the show tonight. Oh, my goodness. New releases. What else we got? It's going to be a big day. Text us, 35253. Phone number is 570-1053. Dane Cook in the stand-up spotlight. Stand-up spotlight. 105.3. This girl that I was seeing, this is why we had to break it off. Because I don't like a girl that exaggerates. I can't listen to your stories when you exaggerate. And here's why. Because when you tell me a story, I really listen. I listen. And I don't just listen.
Listen, I don't just hear you, I hear you. So when you start telling me the story, what happens to me is my brain is so fantastical that I have such a fantastical brain that when you start to exaggerate, I don't follow the story, I follow the exaggeration. And it gets me frustrated because she would be like, oh my God, Dane, there was a fire down the street from my house. There was like a thousand firefighters out there. No, there was not. That's way too many firefighters. They'd all be out there bumping into each other. What are we doing out here, guys? A thousand of us. Who called a thousand of us? A thousand of us, if I were to guesstimate. I got home from work today. I took like a hundred-hour nap. No, you did not. You'd be very sick if you're taking hundred-hour naps. That's a coma. Say you took a coma after work, and I can follow the story. I took a coma. Hundred hours? Was it about a hundred hours? That's a great coma. That's a good coma.

Hey, check this out. Got this email. Mikey, I have felt like a part-time P1 until yesterday. I went to sleep train so that I could have a reference to compare used mattresses on Craigslist. I took my three-year-old in there, which is typically a bad idea because she doesn't have the ability to... self-calm herself yet. I digress. But my point is that they made it so easy to figure out which mattress I wanted that I ended up buying one at Sleep Train. I really wanted the Beautyrest World Class Paris Plush, but it was out of my budget, which is why I felt I needed to buy a used one. The sales associate knocked off $1,213. and offered to deliver it today. We got this email. B-Rob, when did we get this? A couple days ago? Yeah, two days ago. Two days ago. That's awesome. Yeah, man. My wife, who is one month pregnant with our second child, will be pleasantly surprised tonight when she sleeps on our new Paris plush. She really deserves a good mattress to sleep on, and I can't wait to sleep on it with her. Signed, P1 Norfus. You want that to be your story?
Sleep trains are everywhere. Check one out today. We have a couple of tight spots out here this morning. There's an accident being attended to by Medics Northbound 15 here just before the 56, and that's got you back from Poway Road on up. Down that side, south of the 15, our usual commute traffic has got you so now off to 78 down to Via Rancho Parkway, and then some reduced speeds into the construction area as you wind your way through Ranch Bernardo Carmel Mountain Ranch. The coaster ride, south 5, also getting heavier now, slow out of Encinitas in towards Solana Beach. Coming out of Santee, the westbound 52, starting to see some breaklights coming up the hill here to the top of the summit. South Bay traffic, 805 northbound, a little tight here from Plaza Boulevard up towards Imperial Avenue. And in the East County here, an earlier accident that took out a power pole here in Spring Valley, Hammershaw Boulevard, just west of Sweetwater Springs Road. Boulevard, rather, has that area shut down by SDG&E, working on that problem. So it looks like your only way out of there this morning is to take Sweetwater Springs on up to the 94 and then head west from there. Well, never mind.
I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. The Mikey Show continues with Mikey. I'm really, really impatient. I think of myself as particular. Scott. As we all know, like a deal. Sean. I don't like any of the major sports. Boston Rob. Bostonians are tight-knit people. And Ashley. Well, I'm actually like awake and like. The Mikey Show's on. Anyway. Rock 5.3. Back to you, Mike. It is 645. There are four more cases of hepatitis A linked to Chipotle Restaurant in La Mesa, bringing the total number of cases to 18. Padres had a much-needed day off yesterday. Going to start a series with Philadelphia in Philly today. Greg Maddux on the hill. Our text number is 35253. In about 15 minutes, we're going to be going out back and back at the radio station. Going to be doing the Iron Man fashion show.
And so we would love to see you come out for the Iron Man fashion show. It's going to be real good. Is that her Iron Man impression? Yeah. She's excited. Well said. Mimicking the sound effect. There you go. So come on out. It's going to be really good. And, you know, we've got a stage out there, the whole thing. Sky, are you laughing at what you just saw on television? They just showed a picture on the Today Show. It's NBC 739. NBC 739 that a San Diego viewer sent in of their dog strapped into a car seat, passed out asleep. It was so cute. I love that stuff. So does Skye. You got to get a car seat for Sammy. I know, right? Yesterday in the office after the show, Skye was watching. Eddie, I think you had just left. No, I saw her. Is that why you left? That's why I left. Because I turned around to look at Eddie for his support and he was gone. Sky watches these videos after the show. And I don't know, listeners send them or whatever. And they're these cute little videos, you know, and Eddie and I try to tune it out. And that's like total honesty. We try to pretend we're not hearing it. Like remember the one where the cat uses the fork to eat? That was a good one. So yesterday.
It was a good one. She's watching this news clip YouTube video of a parrot that has lost all of its hair. A feather. Oh, yeah. Okay, feathers. You've seen that one, Sean? Yeah. Yeah, Oscar. My wife made me watch it. He's a crazy parrot. Whatever. And women just think that these things are so adorable. And men don't want any part of it. Yeah, Oscar. He lost all his feathers, but he still likes to rock and roll, so he dances. His favorite is the Rolling Stones. Stop it. He dances around. Yes, he looks like a chicken that you would buy at the grocery store because he has no feathers except for a couple on his head. Oh, wow. But he still knows how to get down, Mike. Oh, that is great. And I said to Skye, I said, Skye, you know what everybody thinks that that parrot looks like, right? Mike was trying to bring me down. Don't let him. And she goes, A chicken. And I said, yeah, like what you get at the grocery store. And I said, yeah, because it's a bird. They're all birds. And I said, Skye, I think that Oscar has really taught us all a big lesson today. Yeah. And she said, what is that? And I said, we should probably down. Yeah. That is not the lesson. I think that's the lesson. Put some breading on him. If you put Oscar in an egg wash and then some flour.
Back in the egg wash. Now you're talking. Then some panko crumbs. Stop it. Deep frying peanut oil, 325 degrees, approximately 15 minutes. You're the worst. You're offending me. Stop it. Then take some nice scallions, cut those up, little ginger sauce. Lots of people love Oscar. He's brought joy to many. Dippy, dippy, dippy, dippy, dippy. Oscar the lunch. Not cool, man. So. What did I say? What did I say we were going to do? Did I say we were going to do something when we came back? Or can I do whatever? You can do whatever you want. Yeah, Mike. Whatever your little heart desires. Each day, the members of the show send an email. And I get to learn what is happening in the lives of the members of the show. The reason that they email it is so that when we bring it up on the air, it is new and fresh to everybody. Fresh. Referral sweet. And so we're all hearing it for the first time, including you P1s that are listening. And the email that I got telling me of her feelings was Ash. Ashley. Ashley is 24, cute as a button, blonde hair, very tan skin, and brown eyes. And she is in love with her buffa. And his name is Mark. His name really isn't Mark. That's what we call him. Why do we call him Mark?
I forget. Best story ever. Best story ever. Oh, that's right. Best story ever. Boy Blunder, otherwise known as Budweiser on the BC and Clint show. Yes. In the afternoon. Important. For whatever reason, called him Mark. We were playing cards and he goes, Mark, it's your turn. And we're like, Mark? I was like, where's Mark? But it was like so funny how he did it to you because Boy Blunder. takes poker so seriously, and we were playing poker, and he was being so serious. Like, does everyone have their cards? Like, he takes it so seriously. He's like, Mark, do you have your cards? And we all look at him like, you just met him five minutes ago, and his name is like the opposite of Mark, bro. Oh, it's so good. He'll tell you, Boy Blender, Budweiser, he'll tell you that he played poker professionally. Is that a true statement? In all honesty, I don't know what it means to play professionally. He did it for a living. He did it for a living. Yeah. So maybe that does mean that you're a professional poker player. But, like, do you have to be on a circuit? Like, do you have to be involved, you know? Because he would go to, like, you know, local casinos. He kept his amateur status. Okay. Okay. And so that fact.
makes it all the more humorous that he's usually first out. Oh, well, that's true. Ironic. It is ironic. There's an irony there. Anyway, Ashley writes, my honey insults my style because I'm really out of it when it comes to material things like purses, and it makes me mad when he teases me. He did it to me yesterday, really gets me going. He also does it with my decorating skills and even sometimes with, like, Me. Like my feet. Oh, well. What? Shut up, Eddie. What do you mean by your feet? Like, what does he say? Well, he'll do, like, this thing, right? Where he puts it in, like, a sweet way, and it's almost like he's being, like, kind. Like, in very nice tone, right? Right, right. And so, like...
I'll have my feet on his legs. Like, we'll be watching TV on the couch. Oh, Eddie just made a look on his face. Eddie, look it up. She walks barefoot everywhere. She does. And, like, her feet are tough. She looks like a hobbit. I don't need you to pile on right now. I'll be quiet. I'll be quiet. Anyways, so, freaking, I have my feet over his, you know, legs, and I'm on the couch with him. And somehow my feet get brought up because I'm like, you know, moving him around or tickling with him, tickling him with my feet or something. And he was like, he was like, oh, look at your cute little Vienna sausage toes. Oh, that's cute. That's cute. And then he was staring at my foot. Yeah. So I'm like, okay, he just called me toes fat, but I let it go. And then he's staring at my foot and he's like staring at the bone that goes like on the outer part of your, the side of your foot. Right. Mine, maybe because I have wide feet, goes out maybe more than a normal foot. And he's staring at it and he's kind of like shaping it with his finger. And he's like, you have a very prominent, this bone. It's very prominent. And like that was his way of like telling me that it's obnoxiously wide. Wait a second. Ashley, wait a second. You have a very prominent foot bone. Hang on a minute. Ash.
Right here. And now all I can do is just stare at that foot bone all the time and think, I really wish I could get foot surgery to remove that prominent bone. Ash. That's what I would get, Mike. Plastic surgery. You don't need it. You don't need it. No, I think I do. You don't. You don't. Let me ask you. Is it possible? Is it possible that he actually thinks your feet are real cute? No, he hates my feet, I think, secretly. It's impossible. Listen, hang on, Ash. Hang on. I have an idea about this. I think that maybe you not so secretly hate your feet. You very openly don't like them. No, I used to love my feet until now. Ash, I think that you don't like your feet and you're thinking that he doesn't like them. I think my feet are cute. I think he thinks your feet are cute. Well, what about my handbags?
Yeah, I would like an example. Yeah, give me an example of that. Well, then yesterday, no, Sunday. Excuse me. So then Sunday. Maybe she's going to get chucked up over this. This is a really tough subject. So then Sunday, you know, I have the same purse. I'm not like a big purse person, and I don't spend a lot of money on purses, but I do like my big purse, and I've had the same big purse for like ever. But I actually switched it up on Sunday when I went to go watch his soccer game. And I actually, like, got out one of my cute black purses to match my shoes, which I never do. Before we go on, I have an observational question. Can anybody on the show, me, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Boston Rob, or Zeth, at this moment, say what her purse looks like? I think I can. I think, I know. I think it's on the end of a stick. Is it, yeah, is it like a bandana tied to the end of a... I've seen that thing before. I call it my black hole. It's silver and leather, right? Is it faux leather? Bronze and cream leather. Is it like vinyl or faux leather or what is it? Yeah, but whatever, that's not even the point. Okay, I'm just trying to describe it for listeners that can't see it. I don't know.
Like, I don't know. I think it's maybe leather. Yeah, and it's like silver in color. Yeah. Got it. Like a bronzy silver. Okay? Goes with everything. Anyways, so I switched it up, got a black purse. One of my cute black purses to go with my shoes. I'm at the soccer game. And he goes, oh, looks like you switched up your purse. Hmm. Oh, that's sweet. And he goes, you know, that's one other thing I'm going to get for your birthday is a really cute, like, designer purse. You can get rid of all your, like, grandma bags that you have. Burn. Hey, listen. Now, wait, wait, wait. Are you okay? Hang on a second. That's gotta be traumatizing, Mike. I'm not okay, you know? Let's get the hug patrol in there. I'm pretty sure that I have decent style, and I'm pretty sure that it's a cute purse. I'm pretty sure it matches my shoes. Last time I checked. Oh, Ash.
Don't continue with this story. This is heart-wrenching. I can't believe this. I have a solution. You're just a good person. You're just a good person. How did he do this? I have a suggestion. How he picks on you. I need a tissue. I need a tissue. Clearly Rob is being insensitive. He's not. Rob has my back. I have a suggestion. And I want you to tell me what you would think of this suggestion. What comes to mind? Be honest with me when I suggest it. Go, no, can't do that. Or I like it. I'll do that. But I want you to be honest. Take a deep breath in. Take a deep breath in. Hold it. I don't think she took a breath there. Shut up. Ash, what about if you were to ask him, do you not like my purses? How do you feel about that? How do you feel about that?
I guess I could, but I just don't really think that my... Think about what you're going to say. Think about what you're going to say. Think about what you're going to say. I mean, I just don't... I mean, I just don't think that my purses are ugly. Oh, I know, I know, I know, I know. But that's not what I have. No, I can ask him that. You could ask him that. Yes. I think that would be a good idea because that would force him to have to tell you. And then if he said to you... You know what? I just wish that you had some, like, designer pur... You could say to him... I don't want designer purses. You know what I'm saying? Wasn't he clear that he doesn't like her purses by calling them grandma bags? Thank you. He absolutely... That's what I'm saying. Well, well, hang on, hang on. He answered it right there. Let me tell you. If you were to say to him, hey, I don't think that it's cool that you don't like my purses, blah, blah, blah. He could very easily go, I didn't say that. I just, I was saying blah, blah, blah.
So that's why it's got to be real open, open. And you go, do you not like my purses? And then he's got a decision to make. Either he's going to lie or be honest. Well, I just think. And then you have a decision to make that you're either going to lie or be honest. What about her club feet? That you can't get around. What about my decorating skills? That you can't get around. But I don't think. Now, with that one, it's very clear to me. He don't like her purses. It's very clear. He doesn't like my purses. It's very clear. He doesn't like my style because I don't have good style. And he has a very, like, passive-aggressive way of letting me know. Yeah, but Ash, like, and I don't want to insult Mark, but the boo suffers from this as well. Where the boo... Your husband. The boo doesn't get style, but he thinks he gets style, so he'll... criticize, like, my oversized bag. And then I'll whip out People magazine and show him how every celebrity is carrying an oversized bag. But he thinks he gets it. You know, he thinks that, you know, you should have some tiny little purse from, like, the 80s or whatever. Dudes want, listen. That's not the deal, Sean, though. He's so hip. I mean, Mark. I gotta say this. Guys, there's no doubt about it.
Guys know what they like. We know what we like. However, one thing that we've been hearing is that Mark really knows what he likes. He told her about her fingernails. She did it. She's growing her fingernails out. They already are grown out. Tell them to shove it. Wow. That's certainly an idea. That's what I do. That's what Skye says she does. Get that foot surgery. I swear, Eddie. Get that prominent bone and push it in a couple inches. I'll do it myself. I'll hobble you. Oh, my God. My suggestion here, though, is that you don't let this stuff be unspoken. Otherwise, it just keeps going on like that. No, totally. That's why I brought it up on the show. Perfect idea. Hopefully, he's listening. I want to hear suggestions, P1s. 570-1053. Yeah, I want to know because I know listening. There are people listening right now. Guys, that's what their tactic is. They suggest it like that, which is okay. You're allowed to suggest it like that. If you do, though, it's totally okay for your girlfriend or your wife to ask you.
Oh, do you not like my bags? Right. Like, I just want guys to know that when they, like, sweetly suggest something, the girls aren't stupid. Like, they get that you're trying to say you don't like my purse. You know what I mean? But it's a good conversation. I'm on to you. It's a good conversation to have. It's a bad conversation to not have. I agree. 570-1053, our text number, 35253. Pasts of the Mikey Show at rock1053.com. LOL. It doesn't come in a bottle or pill. Plenty of brake lights on the South 15 right now as you come out of Escondido off to 78 to down into Rancho Bernardo. There's an accident here near Branch Bernardo Road that caught up the commute and made that pretty tough here. Watch for minor delays again through Rancho, through Carmel Mountain Ranch rather. On the northbound 15, an earlier accident ramping up here before the 56 has got you slow in that area as well coming into Poway. The coaster rides South 5 pretty heavy out of La Costa all the way to Solana Beach now.
Your ride out of the East County, westbound 52, a little tight coming off at 125 towards Mass Boulevard. The westbound 8 looking pretty nice, though. That's an easy ride, just a minor delay past the Q here in Mission Valley. A tougher ride, though, on both the 5 and the 805 northbound. Plenty of brake lights on both these freeways, though, heading up into National City. 805 slowing again up towards Murray Ridge, and then again one more time out of Kearney Mesa over to 52. I'm McLaurin's on Rock 105 for 8. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, what's up, man? This is T1 Steven calling in about the AIS insurance. What's going on, man? Hey, I gave him a shot, called him. I had insurance back home from my home state of Nebraska and actually called him hoping they could beat it. And that's kind of crazy because I beat about 300 bucks every six months. Whoa. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Because, I mean, as you know, it's probably cheaper back there, insurance back there than here. Absolutely. Yeah, and saved me 300 bucks. And, yeah, I'm pretty stoked. And I wanted to personally thank you. Dude, I think that's awesome. Did you go down and fill out your paperwork and all that yet? I did. I went out to the Escondido location. Very nice. They hooked it up, did, and they told me to tell you what's up and all that good stuff. Was it easy? It was way easier. It took me, like, two minutes on the phone driving down the freeway. You said $300 every six months, so $600 a year. Yeah, when it probably would have cost me, you know. It went up to, like, $800 after I got an accident from the raft, and then it went down to, like, $400 here. Dude, that's awesome. So it's pretty crazy. So I appreciate it. Thank you very much. And, yeah. Congrats, bro.
All right, take it easy. We'll see you. There's Steve. Steve or Steven, I don't remember. You said Steven? Listen, call AIS right now. 1-800-777-4AIS. 1-800-777-4247. That guy's story could be yours. That guy's the biggest dork on the planet. I'm telling you, man. I don't know what to make of that guy. MyCricket.com slash San Diego. Mikey Show continues featuring Mikey. For the most part, I am afraid of the dark. Eddie. I don't like whales in general. Sky. I am incapable of giving a yes or no answer. Sean. I do not like it when anything cold touches my teeth. Boston Rob. How do they make you girls? And Ashley. I have absolutely no skill in the decorating department. The Mikey Show's on. What?
What are you talking about? Rock 105.3. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Outside. Scott Weiland was sentenced to eight days in jail yesterday for his DUI. Oh, oh. We are behind the radio station at 9660 Granite Ridge Drive. Oh, man. And would love to have people come out here and participate in the Iron Man fashion show. This is awesome. Dude. That is fantastic. This is very impressive. Now, hang on a second. Let me tell you. We have two contestants. And that means that we have a wide open competition. If you want to throw together some duct tape and some tinfoil, get down here. We're not going to do it yet. We're not going to do it yet. And the deal is that whoever wins this thing is going to be in a limo.
Dude. On their way up to L.A. to see the premiere of Iron Man with all the stars. Yeah. That's nuts. Yeah, yeah. There's big stars in this movie, man. You got Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard. You got Robert Downey Jr. And who am I forgetting, Eddie? Jeff Bridges. Jeff Bridges. Yeah. Really? So, wouldn't it be cool to be at the premiere? First of all, going to L.A. in a limo. Going to the premiere in Hollywood. Man's Chinese Theater. You look over. Oh, who's that? That's Jon Favreau. Oh. Oh, look at that. It's Robert Downey Jr. Hey, great. Great. Real nice. So sweet. So get together a costume. I would. If I was at home right now. It's not even that hard. It's not. It's not even that hard. If I was sitting at home right now and I heard me say that, I'd go, well, I want to win that. I'm going to put something together. Just wrap yourself in duct tape. It's called an investment, Mike. It's called Casual Friday. Why is Rob so loud? I don't know, man. He's like really, thank you. Why is he yelling at us? I appreciate the compliments. There you go. You put five bucks into it. Get some tinfoil. You come out with movie passes or you're going to Hollywood. Thank you. That's what I'm saying. Hello. Investing. Like Skye. Even Skye right now is considering it. She's like, I might go put a costume together. Oh, dude. I would in a heartbeat. Yeah.
Oh, dude. Well, yeah. Do this. I didn't know I was eligible to participate. I didn't know. Well, you're not. Yeah, I was just saying that. Well, because I could run to Depot real quick. No, you can't. I'll be right back. So, I'm going to give you a little bit of time to get down here. Oh, we got another one walking up. Okay, here it comes. Yes. Okay. That is Iron Man. Wow. Oh, my gosh. This is rad. This is rad. Rob, Rob. Yeah. I haven't used the word rad. This is the first time I use the word rad in probably a month and a half. I use it all the time. I know, but Rob shamed me out of it. Hold on, hold on. Please let me just say this. I haven't used rad because he shamed me out of it. And so I need to know, A, is it really bad to use rad? No. And B, if it is bad to use rad, what do I... Use instead. Let me just apologize first. Thank you, Rob. Let me apologize. He's not from California. He doesn't know what he's talking about. You're checking in with him to stay cool, bro? Kind of, because, you know, he's got a neck touch. Stay with me. Rad is a great word. I use rad all the time. I'm being honest. Why did you say... Just put Wicked in front of it. Why did you say in your parody song that...
I still use words like rad. It made me go, oh, no, I didn't even realize. Because I had to rhyme with bad, and rad and bad are the only two things that rhyme. I heard that dynamite is the new rad. Dynamite is the new rad. Yeah, that's true. Dynamite is the new rad. Yeah, it is. It's true. Okay, then I can start using rad. You can use rad again. Okay, cool. Please do. Great word. We have three contestants now. Oh, yeah. I love it. I want three ones. I want three ones. This is going to be a very, oh, I know who that is. One sexy Iron Man. It's obviously, it's not Space Boy. We can't say. We're being told that we don't want anybody to know who it is. I think it's Robert Downey Jr. I thought, yeah, I thought it was Iron Man. Obviously by the physique, can't you tell? Dude, that's great. That is amazing. I'm telling you, these outfits are great. Hysterical. 9660 Granite Ridge Drive. What we're talking here is it's off the 15. You get off on Arrow. You go west. You go like two lights. You'll hit Daly Center. Take a left at Daly Center. And then take a right at the next street. It's Granite Ridge. And come to the back of the radio station. Come up top. I mean, like, what opportunities do you have to be able to sit?
front row at a high-end fashion show like this. Thank you. Bring your camera. It's like Milan. Bring your camera. Now, I'm going to tell you, that's the truth. We do have seats set up for P1s to come watch. I mean, it looks like a wedding. Actually, I think we might as well go ahead and tell them, Scott. Let's make the announcement. Let's just do it. Boston Rob, today you're going to marry Sarissa to surprise all of these. Scooby will be marrying you. He'll be doing the ceremony. And it'll be very romantic. All right, so you got time. Get out here and watch the fashion show go down. And we got the passes. We're giving away tons of passes to the Iron Man premiere tonight just for coming out here and watching it. Oh, that's cool. Wait, so can I win that? No. No, you cannot. You cannot. So get down here. It's going to be really awesome. Come on, P1s, get down here. Hey, and there's going to be a lot of stars at the premiere tonight in San Diego, Skye. Oh, really? Like who? There's going to be a lot of stars. Boston Rob. No way. I understand. He's not a star. Eddie. Okay, now that's a real star. That's what I'm talking about. That's what I'm talking about. Celebrity. That's right. Never heard of it. So get down here. It should be real good. Let's talk to some of the P1 Hall of Famers.
P1 Scooby, come over here, bro. Come over here. What do you make of the... Don't describe them because we're going to do that later, but what would you say about the craftsmanship and originality of these costumes so far? I say duct tape goes a long way. That's true. That's what I'm talking about. That is true. Some tinfoil. A little paint. You're good. A little styrofoam and you're good. Spray paint, duct tape, and tinfoil. What's up? You're there. Do you think that this would be a cool thing for listeners to come down and see? Yeah. Down here. P1 Danny is here from p1site.com. Danny, come over here. Gangsta Danny. Talk about a celebrity. Danny. Dude, what do you make of this? Dude, these costumes are crazy. I mean, if you're not here, you better get here. Pretty awesome, right? Totally. These guys look like they put into work into this thing. Do you have a nerd or anybody here that is videotaping any of this stuff for you guys? Nerd said he's going to be here soon, so we'll see what happens. Greetings. Duh. Greetings. We are getting people, so these seats are going to fill up. If you want to get here for this high-quality fashion show. High-end. Yes, very high-end. Very high-end fashion show. Maybe Ashley's man can pick her up some.
something today here at the high end. An apology gift would be nice. Iron Couture. He lives right down the street, so it would be convenient. Hi, honey, if you're listening. Don't forget. Get a clue. Wow. Anyway. Wow. Welcome to dating a radio personality. Wow. Honeymoon's over, guys. I kind of love him. Like Elton John says, the bitch is back. That was a close one. Ashley almost ate it. It's fine. That was a high five gone awry. Do we have time? Can we talk about any of this stuff in the news?
taking a break and coming back and starting the fashion show, or what do you think we should do? I'd say we'd take a break, come back, and get this thing going. Get this thing rolling? Nice. All right. You do have a few more minutes to get down here. We're at 9660 Granite Ridge Drive. Dude, this is hilarious what they're wearing. So I really do encourage people to come down here and see our Iron Man fashion show. So good. The biggest blockbuster of the summer is going to be this movie Iron Man. We're going to be talking to Jon Favreau, the director of the movie, coming up here in a little bit. And all of us are hanging outside. So if you want to meet me and Eddie and Skye and Ashley and Boston Rob, come and meet us. Zeth is inside running the controls, and Sean wouldn't meet you even if he were here. That's true. He would not really want to. And so come down here and meet us. When we come back, we will get the Iron Man fashion show started. Eddie is pretending to smoke a cigarette right now, and it looks pretty funny. And so we will see you down here in just a few minutes. It's the Mikey Show broadcasting Outback AP1s. Make noise. Make noise. We'll be back. It's Rock 105.3.

Visit RedBullAirRace.com and FleetWeekSanDiego.com for details. Is this Rebecca? Yes, it is. I understand that you went to sleep train. Yes, I did. What happened? Well, my husband and I went back last... May. We just got married, so we bought our new mattress. We got a really good deal on it. They threw in free sheets and pillows because we said we heard about it through you. And they also gave us the free mattress protector, so it was really cool. And I referred my mom to go there because she is buying a bed for my grandmother just this last week. And she went to the Curti Mesa store, and they actually beat the price on a Costco mattress.
Sleep Train was selling it for, I think, around $1,000, and then the Costco price was like $500-something, so they beat that, which is awesome. They just won Best Mattress Store, and there's a reason for it. They're really good. The prices are great, and if you're getting one of these good name-brand mattresses, or no matter what you're looking for, they're great. How is that mattress in terms of being comfortable? Awesome. I can't get out of bed in the morning. It's really comfortable. That is good stuff. Thank you. You got it. Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep. The Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I am fascinated by human beings. Eddie. I have never seen, start to finish, labor on the sky. I don't have very many friends. Sean. I eat baby food every day. Boston Rock. I claim to be a genius. And Ashley. I can't even imagine my life without water. The Mikey Show's on Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It is 726. Paris Hilton and Benji Madden are being investigated for hit and run. Eddie is doing his Timberlake. What's up, Eddie? Get it, Eddie. Get it, Eddie. Get it, Eddie.
Very nice, yes. Eddie is pointing out. Did you see the people? Yeah, it's all about the people. It's impressive, dude. We are at 9660 Granite Ridge Drive. That's where the radio station is, and we encourage you to come down to the radio station. Come behind the radio station. Yep, come on down. It's going to be awesome, and you can watch this high-end fashion show that is about to begin. It is the Iron Man fashion show, as you know. It doesn't get any better than this. It doesn't. It really doesn't. It doesn't? No. Iron Man. This is the best. This is the highlight of my life right now. So I should soak it in. This is it. There may be a lot of people that don't know what Iron Man is. They're like, I don't know. Iron Man was a superhero. What? He was a superhero. People don't know what Iron Man is. My wife had a lot of talent. Yeah, he's from Krypton, right? He's not. He's made of steel, right? Yeah. He would probably be made of iron. So stupid. He's made of telekinesis. He's not Steel Man. What? All right, now. Come on. All right. So we don't get to know what he is? He floats like a butterfly, sings like a bee. What's Iron Man? Well, let me tell you. Tony Stark is a flawed human being. Oh, he's a human? Yeah, well, yeah. Okay, my bad. I'm sorry. He's a dude, and he wears a outfit. He recycles a lot. That's his power.
He was a very poor superhero. He was made out of macaroni salad. What? Wow. Wait, where did you hear that? I heard that. No. Where? On they.com. Oh, okay. Well, then that's the truth. Eddie macaroni salad. He is a very wise man. We have three contestants. Yeah, we do. We have three contestants. And literally. Hundreds of thousands of spectators here right now. And the guy spreading fertilizer. That is right. I don't know if that's fertilizer. Well, we're hoping. I was going to call Ashley's dad. For $10, I can produce some of that for you. All right. So what we have is I want to try to give listeners that are listening right now a visual of what we're looking at. We are outdoors. We are looking at a runway. Yes. A actual runway. The runway leads to a backstage area that is separated by a tarp. A curtain, as some people may call it. Seriously, Mike? Okay. It's a tarp curtain. No, it's just a curtain, dude. What we're going to do is we are going to have the contestants.
walk down the runway, and they are going to, and I'm going to go to my field correspondent. Oh, we have a correspondent in the field. Eddie. Hey. I'm going to describe the three contestants. One of them. One of them is going to win a trip. One of them is going to win a trip to Los Angeles to see the premiere in Hollywood. Awesome. Let's begin. The catwalk music, please. Hopefully you practiced your walks. Remember, one toe in front of the other. Don't look down. Ladies and gentlemen, contestant number one. Come on out. This is contestant number one. Keep it fierce. He's trying to get his way through the curtain. And look at that, ladies and gentlemen. He is walking down the catwalk, and we are looking at a man that has made a foam, what looks like a foam sumo wrestler. Oh, my gosh.
He sprayed stuff out of his fist at Ashley. What the heck is that? It was like some sort of a mist. I think it was a roofie gas. He's completely red. He looks like Iron Man. He's got the breastplate. He's got the shoulder pads. He's got the sumo wrestler full bottom. He has the protective arm plates. He looks like the Iron Man you see in the movie posters. He is that version. Exactly. He's got some go on with his eyes. I don't know what those are. They're lights or something? He's now boogieing. He's now got a boogie in the bottom. Yes. He's got the big red boots. Yeah. He's got the shin plates. He looks amazing. Yeah. He looks amazing. Red and gold. And thank you very much. That is the first suggestion, Eddie. And let's go to our tour of fun, Eddie. Eddie, what do you think? Well, let me tell you something. This Iron Man is going for the original Iron Man look. Oh, okay, okay, yes. The traditional Iron Man look. I really appreciated his styrofoam diaper. Yeah, that was sexy. That was my favorite part of the outfit so far. Okay. And I think kids at home will really enjoy it. Nice. So, thank you.
was Kyle. He won Kyle. Ashley got sprayed in the face. I'm next. I don't think we want to know. What is the name of our second P1 contestant? Have him yell his name out to you, Eddie. Robot Hollywood. Robot Hollywood. Come on in. Whoa. Now, this is a black Iron Man. Yes, it is. Oh, my God. Oh, no. We don't want to get sprayed. I don't know. He was going to spray us, but nothing did that. Oh, okay. Okay. That's good, though. Now, this is a different look. Yes. This Iron Man is not necessarily red. Oh, he's doing the robot. He's popping and locking. Oh, that's hot. That is hot. That's a good look. Oh, my goodness. This Iron Man is all black. Yes. He is all black. God's favorite. Oh. I don't know. I don't know. He resembles a Stay Puft marshmallow. He does not. He does not. I don't know. I don't know. It's black Stay Puft marshmallow. Eddie told me before that there are different versions of Iron Man, that Iron Man has different suits or something he wears. Okay, so this is the black version? So this is the black one. Because he is black. Okay, fine. Okay. He's shaking his booty now. He has got duct taped shoes.
Everything is duct tape. Yeah, I like that. That is nice. P1 Robot Hollywood is from IB. Oh. And when we asked him the question on his profile, did someone help you make your costume? He wrote, nuh-uh. Oh, nuh-uh. Nuh-uh. Nuh-uh. And so, just want to let you know that his superpower is telekinesis. Oh. And his superpower is also pure laziness. Oh, wow. Wow, that is a wonderful superpower. And let's go to our correspondent on the field, Eddie. What do you think? Hey! I really like this look. I appreciate the black Dickies jeans. That's a good one. I like this outfit. Kind of like a ninja Iron Man look. A little scary. But I like it overall. I think it was a wonderful job. Very nice.
Very, very nice. I love it. And let's have a big round of applause for contestant number two, Robot Hollywood. And contestant number three, come on out. The contestant number three is P1JR Munson, ladies and gentlemen. Wow. What up? Oh, nice. Nice. He gets it. He gets it, man. War machine? No doubt about it, guys. He's going for the War Machine Iron Man look. I know. What is that? It's a camo look. It is a camo look, and you can tell that this guy did a lot of work at Home Depot, no doubt about it. Yes, the helmet is legit money. Yes, and what I see on his chest plate is one of those lights that you can Velcro onto the inside of a cabinet. It's a push light. A push light, and you can see that. Yeah, that's good. And it is a very interesting look. The materials use plastic duct. Duct tape, blood, sweat, and tears, he says. Oh, wow, I see the tears. And, yeah, he does have what looks to be a canteen on his butt. No, I think that's, like, just a plate to protect his beard. I'll drink. Okay. As we said before, it is all camo. Yes. And, Ashley, what do you make of this outfit? Oh, my gosh, I think it's fantastic.
Wow. Definitely a lot of style there. Her boyfriend, Mark, is subtly hinting that he wishes that she would wear that. Finally, let's go to Eddie. Eddie, our correspondent on the field, what do you think? Well, he's definitely got a look. It's the War Machine Iron Man outfit. You don't need to do that. Thank you very much. He just wanted you to see the rear to make sure you saw the back and the costume. Kind of like a gay Boba Fett. I like it. He's really strutting with stuff on the skywalk. Wow, very impressive. Asked him what superpower he would want. He said the power to meet Jon Favreau. Oh, wow. Good answer. Not bad. Let's bring them all out. Thank you, P1JR Munson. We appreciate it. You can see his piercing eyes from underneath. And so let's get them all to come out now onto the catwalk. Here they come. This is tough, Mike. Unbelievable. Very good. They're all great. I think that what we're going to do is. We are going to have Eddie stand behind each contestant, put his hand over their head, and by the sound of the hundreds of thousands of spectators here today, making applause, we will decide who the winner is. So will it be contestant number one? That's a big round of applause. Contestant number one is P1 Kyle. That was 100,000 people cheering in unison. It absolutely was. Or will it be contestant number two, P1 Robot Hollywood?
That, as you can see, was a little weaker. Or will it be contestant number three, P1JR Munson? Folks, it looks like a clear winner this time, P1Kyle. Let's hear it for him. Yeah. OMG. OMG. He is throwing his arms up triumphantly. Wow. The other Ironmen are looking defeated. It really looks like P1Kyle's Ironman has been on a SlimFast diet. Yeah. Very flinky. Yes, he is. Very fan. He is, you know, trying to. More like Beanpole Man. Yes. Gumby, a little Gumby-ish. Let's talk to P1 Kyle. Kyle, congratulations. Thanks. You are going to be going to Los Angeles to be at the actual Hollywood premiere of Iron Man. Taking a limo. Yeah, taking a limo up there from La Costa Limousine. Let me ask you, did you get any assistance on making this outfit?
My wife is the best. His wife, actually. Iron Man has a wife. I didn't know you were married, Iron Man. A lot of girls will be very sad, too. I thought so, too. What about many wives? Many wives, he says. Congratulations, P1 Kyle. You're going to be going up there courtesy of La Costa Limousine. Big round of applause from everybody out here. This video on the website is going to be hysterical. It's going to be awesome. It's going to be awesome. Thank you very much, P1s, for coming out here. We're going to go back in the studio. When we come back, we'll be live in the studio. And we still have Jon Favreau to come on the show. Also, Norv Turner will be on the program this morning. It's a Mikey show. We'll be back. It's Rock 105.3. Mikey show. Oh, yes. You know the old chestnut, together we can move mountains? What a useless phrase. We don't need to move any mountains. Mountains should stay put. In fact, we should probably be working together to not move mountains. Let's think of some better phrases. Ones that don't imply that being successful means devastating the landscape. How about something like together we can move mountains of trash that have piled up near the old docks. Or maybe together we can drink these two beers I just suddenly got. Or how about simply share the good.
That one's nice. And guess what? It works perfectly with delicious bottles of Heineken Premium Light. Now you've got a hot new phrase, a couple of icy cold Heineken Premium Lights, and a new friend to drink with. It's like killing three birds with one mountain. Heineken Premium Light. Share the good. Enjoy Heineken Light responsibly. Heineken Premium Light, Lager Beer, Heineken USA, White Plains, New York. Visit sharethegood.com. Is this Ryan? Yeah, this is Ryan. Ryan, what's the deal? You went to AMCO? Yeah, actually, I took your advice. Last week, my check engine light came on. And I heard the radio ad yesterday morning on the way to work. And I went to the Mission Boards location. And Nick hooked it up. He found out that my number three spark plug wasn't firing. So I told him, hey, you know, I can fix that myself. But I told him, you know, even though he wasn't able to do the service on my truck, that he has my service. down the road for when my transmission goes out. Because he did that for free, right? So here's Rob talking to the Greenpeace guy. What you doing at the courthouse? I'm working for Greenpeace. We're out here talking to people about Kimberly Clark, the largest tissue manufacturer in the world. What's your take on Pam Anderson recently seen eating a hot dog? It has nothing to do with everything. No, nothing at all. Nothing to do with anything. What are you talking about? Hey, but what do you think about that? That's not Peter. I'm not talking about his social life. I'm talking about she was at the game. She was actually eating a hot dog. We don't take any stand like that. You know, we're all about the environment. We're about protecting the whales, the trees, and stuff like that. So you don't care that I'm wearing a rattlesnake belt right now? That P1 Kyle is good. Oh, my gosh.
That outfit was awesome. It looked amazing. It looked really amazing. 5701053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. So before we went to the Iron Man fashion show, we were talking about Ashley. It's great. It's a topic that I think that affects a lot of people, you know. It affects you whether you've got a boyfriend or a girlfriend or a husband or a wife. And I really do want to hear from people at 570-1053 and text us at 35253. She was saying how her boyfriend. My boyfriend. He will comment on things like her purses and even her decorating skills.
And she says she gets the message. I don't like your purse. I want you to have a designer purse. But I said, listen, the best thing you do is you just got to be really, you know, open in the communication. Like if, in other words, if the message that you're getting, because the message is loud and clear. The message is, well, I wish that you carried designer purses. The message is get with the time sweet cheeks. But see, but see, but check it out. But see, we're all taking guesses at what the message is. It could be all three. It could be just one. It could be any combination. And so my suggestion was, and it's worth what it costs. I mean, it's just a suggestion is that you, you ask that you go, and you can do it in kind of a fun, cute way. You go, do you? Do you not really like my purses? Or do you wish that I carried designer purses? Because then what you do is you force them to have to tell you. I mean, if they can choose at that point to go, no, no. I think that what you carry, I think it's great. I think there's nothing wrong with it. But if that's the case.
It will then be difficult for them to continue to make those comments. And if they do continue, then you hit them with truth again. And you go, that's interesting. This is the second time or the third, fourth time that you've made that comment. Obviously, the logical assumption on my part would be that you don't care for my purses, but you keep making that joke. I'm curious. And that puts them in a, what will eventually happen is you're not going to hear that anymore. But best case scenario is, best case scenario is that they say, oh, well, I actually, I do wish that you carried, you know, like a coach handbag. At which point you can say, you know, you realize that that's not my style. Well, this is my whole thing is like, I think that Mark and like his whole family, they're super into style. They're real good. And I would like to learn from Mark. I love him and he brings the best out of me. I bring the best out of him. And in this situation, he'd be bringing maybe the style out of me that I don't know about. Yeah, yeah. Like, I would love a designer purse. Like, that'd be great. Eddie, well, could it be that he's just kind of busting her chops a little bit? You know, I know Mark, he's a funny guy. Well, that's what I'm wondering. He may just be goofing with you a little bit. And you may be making something out of nothing. That's a possibility.
although he seemed like he liked their nails a certain way. It seemed like he knows what he likes, but maybe not. Maybe he just randomly picked the purse thing to kind of make fun of. I don't know why. What guy cares about what purse? I could care less what my wife uses as a purse. I was going to say, it sounds like playful flirting. Unless he knows that he likes, she says he knows style. If I say to Eddie, Eddie, can you name handbags? Yeah, I don't know. He didn't know. But I bet you if you say to Mark, can you name handbag, he'll go coach. If he likes a coach, you say, handbag, then he should go buy her one. He said he's going to. Then there you go. You just got a coach handbag. If you're into it, then you're all good. If you like coach, then you're good to go. And I do, and I am, and I will. My only thing is I'm just hoping, and I'm sure this is the case, that he isn't like, not happy with the way that I am like because I do have a prominent bone in my foot and I do like seashells in my living room I think it looks you know beachy I live by the beach and I do like to wear you know my $16 purses you know that have a bow on them and I guess that looks like grandma's bow I thought it looked cute you know that's me and so I just hope that he don't you ever change thanks Rob man
I'm starting not to like him. I'm starting not to like him. If he's trying to change the way your foot is, I don't know what he's doing. I can't tell if Rob is sincere. You're being a jerk right now. I thought you had my back and you're mocking me. Wait a second. Why do you think now he's mocking me? Why do you think he's mocking me? What made you think he's mocking me? Eddie is smiling and shaking his head. What? No. I don't want you to change. 570-1053. Don't let him manipulate your ways. Eddie is looking at Skye right now. Are you going to say anything? Something's going on in that head of hers and she's not saying a word. I need my girl. Hi, how are you? Skye? Skye? What are your thoughts? You're a smart woman. You love Mark. You know me. I love Mark, and I kind of tend to agree with Eddie. I think he's just busting your chops.
I think, yeah, maybe he will get you a coach bag, but I don't think that has any impact on how he feels about you. I think he likes to tease you, and I think that he loves you, and this has nothing to do with his feelings for you. And if it bothers you this much, then that is what you should say to him. Your little quips are bothering me. It doesn't bother me necessarily. You've been talking about how... It does bother you. Ash, you've got to be honest. You're wanting to change everything about you. You want to have foot surgery. What do you mean it doesn't bother you? I think my feet are too wide. Maybe they are, but that's you. You guys, that's you. I have to, I wholeheartedly disagree. I wholesale disagree. I, this is what I think. Please. I think that he loves her. Yes. No doubt. I think he wants her to be all of these different things that he likes. He would like for her to carry a different bag. He'd like it. He doesn't want. those shells. He doesn't like that sort of decoration. And he wants her to be all these different things that he likes. And I see that. I think he would think, oh, she would look beautiful carrying a coach bag. But in no way does that have any relevance to their relationship. It's not going to change his feelings either way, whether she does or she doesn't. This guy is a funny guy. He's got that sarcastic sense of humor. And who cares if she has flippers for feet? Who cares?
No, that is her. That is her. You be you. Hang on. Rob, they are not flippers. They're swim fins. Ash, I believe. All of you. Wait a minute. It's just Rob. No, I've been on her side the whole time. Okay, me too. I did the swim fin. I believe. You're cute. You're with the. Text messages are saying, poor Ash, let him know that your style is yours and if you wanted to be like every other girl and wear a designer bag, you would have one. Signed, P1 Shortcake. I love her style. Who cares if you decorate your house with garbage? Who cares? Who cares? Next text message says, I'm just, hey Mikey. I'm the guy who lives in a dumpster. Defending you. I mean, give me a break. I love it. Oh my gosh. Hey Mikey, my buddy's wife had the same big bone on her feet.
She had it removed. It's prominent, bro. It's prominent. It's not big. You know, Dolly Parton has prominent breasts. That's right. Yes. If she likes the ocean's waste, a.k.a. the ocean's vomit, then who cares? Decorate your walls with it. To each their own. Yeah, you have it. It's a style. They're cute. This one says? I got them, but they're real. This one says, Mikey, I have some sand in my shower. It's awesome. Mikey, what Mark is actually saying is, I don't care about your purse. He says what she hears is, I need to waste $500 on a bag. Thank you. That's why I've never bought a designer or anything, because I cannot spend $500 on a purse. I really want to try to articulate my thoughts a little better here. I really want to try to articulate my thoughts here. I think you're doing a great job. Am I not hearing you correctly? No, I feel like I...
I'm not talking just to you. I defend her right to use a glad trash bag as a purse. I do. Hefty, hefty, sick sack. I say have that as a pocketbook. Pocketbook. Who says pocketbook anymore? Same person going to the icebox to get something to drink. I'm sorry, Ashley. Rob's being a jerk right now. He's really, I mean, piling on when it's not necessary. It's not necessary. I'm sorry, you're trying to open up. If she shops at a landfill. Why should we care? A landfill really, dude? A landfill. I just don't even know what that is. It's like a landfill. Why don't you just take that back to the drawing board? Mikey, this type of logic, or rather lack thereof, is why my girlfriend makes my life worth living. P1 Surfing Aztec. Next one says, don't feel bad, Ash. I have sausage toast, too. And my wife makes fun of them. They're like snowflakes. Sausages. So, 35253 is our text number. Our phone number is 5701053. Yeah, see, I think that this isn't just a guy thing. I think it could be a girl thing, too. For instance, let me explain. Like, a girl could be used to going out with a guy that dresses a certain way. Oh, girls do this all the time. Girls do it all the time.
For sure. And so they are used to it and they like it. And so when they date somebody new and that style does not fit into what they like, they like the person. There's no doubt about it. They like the person. They love the person. They wish the person was what they want more. And so they say stuff like that because they want it to be more what they want. Now. The bottom line is, is that you have to decide whether or not that fits into your comfort zone. If it does, everything's cool. Like if it fits into your comfort zone, for instance, the bag thing, it fits into your comfort zone. You actually think it would be cool to carry a designer bag. So that fits into your comfort zone. People would think I'm cool and that would make me feel better about myself. And then I would feel better about myself. Hang on. Hang on. Now, that brings me to my next point. Oh, no. Brings me to my next point, which is these things don't make us who we are. Right? They don't make us who we are. It is. It is. Skye, you are similar. Those things don't matter to you. You could care less about the designer. Like a bag lady. Right. That's what my husband tells me. And my husband makes these comments.
And I tell him to shove it. Well, yeah. Yeah, you know, she says... So, we're married. Good luck. Hey, listen. Maybe Mr. Sky would dig it if you were carrying around an expensive handbag, but you got... No, he wants me to... Pocketbook, Mike. Pocketbook. Pocketbook. If I was dressed like a Gucci mama from a rap video, that's how... See? I can see that. He likes to move in the butt. It's true. Pee on Aaron. Big in the front, big in the back. That's what he says. That's right. Aaron, are you there? Yeah, I don't care. Go ahead. My boyfriend does the same thing. I have these clothes from, like, high school that I still wear that I absolutely love. That's right, girl. I can't throw those away. He hates it. And so what he does is, on my birthday and Christmas, he goes to, like, BB and Guess and buys me, like, a lot of clothes, like designer stuff. But it absolutely annoys me because, like, I can't wear anything unless it's something he's bought me because it's not. It's not what he wanted me to wear. I can't wear any of my clothes now. And it annoys me. If we're all trying to avoid the white elephant in the room, the truth is that he does want to change you. That's just a factual comment. Tell him to show it. I don't know. I respectfully disagree. If it isn't what you are, it's a change. But he's not...
He's not doing anything. He's passive aggressively trying to tell her. I think the key in this call is that's fine. He can buy her whatever she wants. But if she chooses to put on something from her closet from back in the day, he can't talk crap about that. And that's what she's saying he does, that she is only allowed to wear the stuff he buys her. And that's where it's not cool. Right. And my honey does not do that. Mikey, I think it's great that your room. is ocean, it goes great with your flippers. Okay, listen, I think it's... So that was directed to me because I have sea shells in my... We know that it's been flooded before. I'm sure that the shelves were just left over. There's sea shells and they're on the shelf. Did she mention there's living turtles in there too? I picked up myself from the ocean because I live by the... Okay. Get it? Yeah, I get it. I bet it looks cute. It is cute. Hey, listen, this one says, this one is in support. It says, Ashley, he loves you enough. To not let you go out looking like an old bag lady. But she doesn't look like you. This is cute. I'm sure you do. It is cute. Eddie, shove it. See, what I don't get. Nice. What I don't get. I didn't say anything. Is why not just say. Compliments are from hobos. Why not just say. Speaking from a hobo himself. And I love the verse. Ironic. Mikey. I've been on your side this whole time. You are not on my side.
You're not. I love your feet, even though when you're wearing sandals, it looks like fresh bread rising. What? I'm defending you. That's not funny. That's not funny. Wow. That was a bad one. I'm defending you. We are fighting the good fight together. Good job. And I say good for you. Oh, my God. Good for you. Mikey, I agree with Ash. The only reason I have a coach bag is because my husband bought me one because that's what bag I'm supposed to have. You're an army wife. People think you're cool if you have it. Waste of money. I don't get why husbands would care. I could buy 70 bags for the price of a coach bag. It means that you're rich and cool. Yeah, it's a status symbol. Really? Yeah, it means you look cool. It's a status symbol. I could care less. Thank you. P1 shotgun. Show gun. Shogun, sorry. Hey, no worries, Mikey. Hey, Ash, I got a good question for you. I got a good answer for you. What's up? Okay, the foot issue. Why? Why do you need this urge to get surgery for it? She's deformed, dude. She's not. I think it's Claire. I wouldn't go that far. I don't know. Dude, my foot?
bro on the phone. My foot is like a normal cute foot, right? But then I've got this bone that's very prominent and it goes out. Are you talking about the bunion? What? No. The bunion? It's like the bone on the side of your foot. Where your big toe is? No, no, no. Where your pinky toe is and then that bone that goes down the side of your foot that makes your foot stay together. That bone is permanent, and it sticks out. This guy's saying your bunion as if it's a part of the body. A bunion's like a wart. Yeah, I know. It's like a callus. It's as if he's saying, oh, are you talking about the thing by your wart? You know, like the one I have. Yeah. This is the thing. My friend's going through foot surgery because of that same problem you're talking about. She still has another foot to go. The cost is ridiculous. Yeah, I think I'd like to just make my feet are more narrow. I'd like to get rid of the prominent bone and just have a regular, slender, sleek foot. Our text number is 35253. Your feet are beautiful. Don't let any more. No, they would not. Your feet are beautiful, and don't you let anyone tell you different. People would think I'm better. I just want to hear what Mike has.
I don't care. Ashley needs a pep call. Text message. I can't hear you. Text message. I'm sorry. 35253. This one says, hey, Mikey, tell Ashley not to worry. I have toes just like hers. Signed, Louie Anderson. Oh, no. Ashley, put your foot down. What are you talking about? Right there? Do you think that we could mend the bridge if we got Mark on the phone? I think that's the only way. This is the thing, Mike. Yeah, let's get him on. No, this is the thing. I'm kind of freaking out because normally he texts me sweet nothings when he wakes up. That's our deal. Yeah, yeah, yeah. in stone like he always does and he hasn't yet so I'm like oh great he's probably heard this you have to text on a cell phone not in stone stone doesn't do anything it's not a wireless device that rule is set in stone and he hasn't texted me so I'm assuming he probably heard this and now he's pissed should I try to get him on the phone yeah you should maybe we can mend the bridge fuck up
Leave him alone. I'm not. I'm just saying, come on. His girl is expressing her feelings. On the air. Well, okay. This is how we do things when you fall in love with a member of the Mikey Show. This is just what happens. That is true. That is true. Ashley just dropped the phone from her face and it fell onto her lap and she had to pick it back up again. But she's got it now, Mike. Thumbs up. We're going to ask Mark. She's got him on the line right now. I'm sure he's just busting her chops. Oh, so what you think, Skye, is you don't believe that he actually even really has a thought about the purse? Like, I think he thinks it would be cute for her to carry a coach purse, but, like, I think he really doesn't care. Like, you know, he's not losing sleep over it by any means. Yeah, I don't think it's causing him pain. Like, on a scale of 1 to 10, how much he cares, it's probably, like, a .2. Hmm. See? Point two. Everybody gets that. Hey, Mikey, tell Ashley to embrace her differences. It's okay to be a little different, and my feet have the same thing that hers do. That's sign, the elephant man. Stop it! I don't think that's a legitimate deal. It was a text. Mark is on the line. Hello, Mark. Good morning. How are you? Mark, have you been listening? Yeah, a little bit, actually. Then maybe you can clear some of this up. Come on, Mark.
that you kind of like the designer handbag thing. It's appealing to you. And that maybe this is a subtle way to let her know, hey, I kind of like those. I think you'd look good with them. Yeah. Now, I told Ashley, the onus is on Ash. All she needs to do is to say to you, now, do you not really like my bags? Would you rather that I had a designer bag? Then, real quickly, you could say, yeah, sure. It'd be real easy. And she's open to it. She likes the idea of a designer bag. She says that that sounds pretty good to her. And I told her, this is what I think in all these situations. It's okay to say, I wish that you did this. But then you have to be prepared for, I don't know that I really want to. That's not really my style. It sounds like a coach bag may fit into her style. Some of the other ones, maybe not. It sounds like she doesn't necessarily want to leave the seashell decor. She likes that. Is that right, Ash, or maybe not? Maybe you are willing to leave it if he makes a suggestion that you're into. I would if he made a suggestion I was into. Yeah. Because he's real good in that department, too. He's real good at everything he does. And see, if that's the deal, you can let him do it. It's only when you get into an area you're uncomfortable with where you go, I'm not comfortable with that.
But if he knows the good stuff, you go for it. Like my wife, man. I barely do any shopping of clothes for myself anymore. She knows better than I do. Sure. She knows the way stuff looks and the way stuff should be, you know? Sure. Why did Rob just giggle? Why did the guy that just cut off his goatee after his fiance had been saying for a long time how great it would look just giggle when I said what I said? He's got a big, giant smile on his face right now because he knows. I see. I see. How about the guy that was out playing golf this weekend? Because his girlfriend loves it. Fiance. Fiance, I apologize. Thank you. So, Mark, what are your feelings? What's going on, dude? I was pissed, Mark. No, the boot pulls this crap, too. Go ahead. We have good communication, so most of this stuff is just suggestions. Yeah, you don't have to do it. Like Mikey said, you know, if it's something that doesn't fit her style, she can be like, hey, you know, I like my handbag. That's not my style. And I'd be like, oh, okay. Because I'm fine with it. I'm just making suggestions. And the seashells, Sammy ate them, so they're not there anymore. Oh, that's weird. And hopefully they don't come back. What about the Frankenstein feet, though? Right. Blessing in disguise. Now, Mark, Mark, how did you, do you, what is your, like, let's say that you,
could pick a handbag design, which one would it, what designer would you pick? Well, I just suggested it and I said, hey, I'll get you something for your birthday because it seems to me like the handbags she has are just, they're really big. I used to have a big wallet. What do they remind you of, honey? Grandma's handbag? An old grandma. An old grandma. Yes, yes. Now, Sky made a point earlier. Sky said that right now the big handbags are in style. Oh, well. No, no. That was when me and my husband had that argument, the big handbag. Be careful. Mark is very with the time. No, no. They've kind of moved through. Ashley's guy that went out last season. There you go. Wow. Why do you know that? Yeah, that's kind of creepy that you know that. This text says, Ashley, don't worry about your foot.
I have the same issue with my face. Sincerely, Eric Stoltz from Mask. I don't even, I don't understand. I don't get the reference. I have a question for Mark. Go ahead. What's going on with the foot thing? Yeah, Mark, she says you were criticizing her foot for her protruding bone. Prominent. Prominent bone. And she's talking surgery. Would you want her to go through the pain of surgery? No. I don't think he has a problem with her feet. No, I don't have a problem at all. Well, he's got a problem with her feet, just not that bone. You hate my feet, and you know you hate my feet. Any human would, Mike. Why does she think that he doesn't like her feet? Don't look at them. Well, you know, one man's stone is another man's diamond. It's like a Kenyan runner, dude. Kenyan runner? Eddie compared her to Samwise Ganji. Yeah, dude. They like to be barefoot. They're cute. I keep them pedicured. I have a cute star tattoo on one. I have a toe ring. Sean, do you remember her feet? Dude, they're turning into hooves. Mark, do you like Ashley's feet? Yeah, I do. They're like cute little Vienna sausages. See? That's cute. He likes them. He just said he likes them. That's not the best compliment in the world. Sausages.
We just got a text in. This one says, hey, Mikey, I also have toes like Ashley. I love them. Signed, P1 Budweiser. Oh, that's not cool. That's not cool. Hey, Mikey, tell Ashley that everyone's feet are a little different, and the truth is it sounds like her feet look just like mine. Signed, James Caan, the character from Misery. Can you stop reading those, please? It's just the texts that are coming in at 35253. I don't like them. Well, there you go. I mean, hey, listen, Ash, as soon as one of the suggestions comes up and you're not okay with it, you say, hey, listen, it sounds like handbags and seashells are inbounds, but as soon as one comes in that you're not comfortable with, you say, yeah, that one I'm not willing to change. Food for thought. Wow. Well, there you go. Ladies and gentlemen, our text number is 35253. Our phone number, 570-1053. Very nice to be here with you. If you are just tuning in, you've already missed some pretty awesome things. Yeah. We did the Iron Man fashion show. It went great. So good. He won. Kyle won. And let me tell you something. His costume was amazing. We'll have pictures and video on the website soon. So make sure you tune in. Boston Rob had dinner with his fiance last night at Rubio's. What'd you have? I got the steak burrito. That's one of Skye's favorite restaurants. Well, you go on Tuesdays because they do the dollar fish tacos on Tuesday, Rob. And that's what you get, right, Skye?
Yes. You get the fish taco. Whether I want to eat them or not. Yes. It's good stuff. Yeah. Last time we went, I was really craving their chicken salad because I love that so much. Their salad with chicken on it. But with such a deal, I can't pass up on a deal to say. It would drive her crazy. It would drive her crazy being that salad. I mean, that's why we go on Tuesdays because it's a dollar fish taco night. That's right. And then if I go and pay full price for something, I'm a fool. Let's see. Zeth has another job. I don't know if you guys know that. He's funny. Yeah, I do. Zeth, is it okay to say where your other job is? Yeah, that's fine. Zeth works at Best Buy. What up? Nice. Last night he closed. I did. Oh, wow. What time did they close? I got out of there around 10, 10.30. Doesn't that Grand Theft Auto 4 go on sale today? Yeah. It's going to be crazy. Did you get one already, Seth? No, I was begging my supervisor for pretty much the majority of the night, but he wasn't having it, man. He wouldn't let go? No. He said like probably 10 people worked there had already asked him. And since I'm the new guy there, it probably wasn't going to work out for you. Why don't we do new releases? Sky, because we're talking about that one. We might as well talk about them. Let's do new releases. What's coming out today on... You don't have them yet, Ash? Are you going to if we wait?
Okay. Well, then let's do them a little. Yeah, sorry. Normally, I have them ready for the 9 a.m. hour. All right. Well, I did. Okay. Go ahead. You want to talk about Grand Theft Auto, though? We can just talk about it because it's crazy. Like, people sleeping out on the sidewalks, they say they're expecting it to break the all-time sales record, which is currently held by Halo 3. They're expecting in this first week of sales for it to sell 6 million copies, which is about $400 million worth. And they say the reason, of course, you know, Grand Theft Auto is a very popular game. But on top of that, it's being released in Xbox 360 as well as PlayStation 3 for both consoles. So, you know, so lots of people will want to get it. You know what I don't understand? I don't understand why Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie are not in. more video games. Like every A-list celebrity you can think of. Tom Hanks. Yeah, the money's there. Well, they make just as much, if not more, than big blockbusters in Hollywood. I wonder if it's how much they pay them. That's the thing. I don't think they pay them very much. That's the thing. I'm thinking they should be making to whatever their going rate is for a picture. If the video games are selling without them, then why would they care? Why would they throw away the money? That's true.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you think they'd sell more or no? No. They would not. Because I don't care. You don't care. Gamers don't care. I mean, if you kind of sound like him, good enough for me. Yeah, so Grand Theft Auto 4 has a mature rating, meaning that it's intended for users 17 years or older. Wow. The game's label warns of blood, intense violence, partial nudity, strong language, strong sexual content, use of alcohol, and use of drugs. No. No way. Yeah, it's dirty. Dude, that's kind of gnarly. Yeah, I couldn't handle playing it. It would mess with my head too much, too violent. Well, it does for me, but that's because I get motion sickness from video games. Yeah, that's for a different reason. Yeah, for a completely different reason. I'm just too sensitive. Yeah, man. Eddie, so have you seen that in these video games? Oh, yeah. So what do they do? Do they have like a little animated dude snorting coke? Yeah, pretty much. That's crazy. I mean, you know, they have them doing the, you wouldn't believe the stuff they have. That's crazy. I wonder if it's possible that all parents, like, I want, okay, here's my question. You guys do your best to answer this because there is no answer. Percentage of parents that do not know what you just said, but get the game for their kids. Percentage of parents that do not know.
that that's the deal, but get the game for their kids. In fact, here's a question. Is there anybody listening right now that didn't know that until Eddie just said it and Sky just said it? Now you do know. Call me, 570-1053, and your kid currently has it. Yeah, or any parent who's planning on buying it this week for their child who's under 17. It just kind of trips me out. Like, you know, everybody, you're all in charge of doing whatever you want with your kid. You know, you can... The parent. Now, for Jake, I don't want him seeing that stuff. I don't want him seeing. Yeah, like kids aren't supposed to watch R-rated movies, but how many kids, I mean, like every kid sees R-rated movies. Like, come on. Listen, I don't want anybody thinking that I'm making some judgment call on you. I'm not. Everybody's a parent. You get to do whatever you want. I don't want Jake seeing some dude in a video doing coke and beating up some chick till blood's coming out. It's too much. Too much. See, the other thing is, and Eddie will tell you, because Eddie loves video games, the kids will do them for hours. There's no way that at least, I don't know, what do you think? Can a kid consume that for hours and it not become a little desensitized? Like if you see something happening for hours and hours upon end, you don't become a little desensitized to it? Sure does. My brother sent me a video the other day. My brother Mark, my oldest brother.
And I was actually mad. And you know me, when I get mad, I go, well, which one am I? I hurt, sad, or fearful. I was all three. I was all three. He sent me a video and he wanted my opinion on it. And it was a video about radical Islam. And that stuff interests me. So I watched it. And one of the things that they show in there is, well, they don't show it, but they get right up to it. The American. who was killed by this radical, you know who it was? Daniel Pearl. And you know how he was killed. I don't need to say it. You guys know how he was killed. It's terrible. And they get right up to it, and you don't see it, but you hear it. And then it goes from, and I almost turned it off. I almost turned it off. And then it goes to them holding that up as a trophy, which they did. It hurt my feelings.
It made me extraordinarily sad. And of course, it elicits fear. And so my thing is, is that the reason that it had such a profound effect on me is because I haven't viewed things like that for years. I haven't seen or heard things like that. And so now when I do, I'm ultra sensitive. It's like not being out. If you don't go out in the sunlight, for years and years and years, and you suddenly do, you're going to get burned. It's just a... It's like those polygamous kids, you know, have been sheltered from the world, and then for them to see TV for the first time, you know, it's culture shock. They don't understand Three's Company. No, not at all. You know, they just don't get it. I think everybody understands Three's Company. That is true. That is true. There's so many misunderstandings, though. Every episode, there's five misunderstandings. It's like, Jack, how did you not get it, bro? But...
But anyway, the point that I'm making is that there are people that do consume videos like the one that my brother sent me all the time. True. And so when they see it, it's nothing. It's like they're like, oh, it's nothing. Like I've actually seen it when it happens. And when you see it and you're exposed to it over and over and over again, do you think that you become desensitized is the question. But yeah, if you didn't know what Eddie said, you didn't know what Sky said when they said it. Call me, 570-1053. Did you not know that that's the stuff that goes on in there? Now, if you're an adult, you're an adult, whatever, man, you're an adult. You can make decisions for yourself. Eddie, what's your take on this one, this game, this Grand Theft Auto? Oh, I play it. Is it good? Do you enjoy that one? Yeah. Yeah, it's fun. I mean, I'm never going to be a criminal. Yeah. And so it gives me a chance to... to play as a criminal, basically, you know? I mean, it's kind of silly and stupid, you know, but that's how I am. I take it like that. I take it as a goof, but I could absolutely see kids, you know, being influenced by that kind of stuff, and, you know, I wouldn't let my kid play it. You're a kid, you would not let at any point until they're 18 and they make their own decisions. Uh-uh. Got it. Really? Not at 16? Probably not, no. Yeah, I couldn't see doing it.
And I would let him know, hey, man, if you're going over to your friend's house and your friend's got it over there, do me a favor, man. Like, I can't control you while you're there. I can't tell you that you can't do it while you're there. But I'm going to ask you to not do it because if you do, that would really disappoint me. Even if you don't tell me, it would disappoint me. And then once he's over 18, he gets to make his own choices. But P1 Eli. Hey, how's it, guys? What's up, man? I'm a big-time gamer, and that stuff messes with you pretty bad because I played my whole life, and eventually I was playing all the killing games, and I eventually would go to sleep, and I'd have these really, really bad dreams of just really violent killing. And then sometimes during the day, I'd close my eyes, and I'd see death, and I'd see people getting killed. Really? So it started to get into your dreams and stuff?
Oh, that's freaky. That's crazy! Sometimes things that are in your life on a daily basis will sink into your subconscious. I don't know why this happened. I had a dream that a ham was chasing me down the street. You had that dream? I did, and I don't know where it came from. I don't know where these visions... You made stuff up. I don't know any of this. I don't know. P1 Rachel is on the line. Rachel. Hi. What's up? I would never buy Grand Theft Auto for my kid just because I like it. Like the other guy was saying, I don't really want him to be a criminal. I mean, he is at the point in his life. Not that I think buying him the game is, but he's super impressionable. You know, he'll be 15 on Saturday and like. All that stuff, I think it does imprint. There's a huge business on subconscious, you know, learning, going to borders and buy those tapes, you know, get skinny, get successful, whatever, play these CDs. And if he's playing for hours at a day, you know, I'm sure that that's all making some kind of negative imprint. We battle that.
Big time. Very true. But as an adult, I think Eddie can tell you that you also get to learn how to wield a sword pretty good. Eddie's pretty good at it now. He's a full-fledged assassin. Thank you very much. P1 Brad. Hey, how's it going? Good, man. Hey, I just got Grand Theft Auto 4 last night at midnight. You know, I'm not a big geek or anything like that, but that was just one of those things that I just had to get. Right. So I went in. I got it. I got home about... At 12, I started playing it. I played it for two hours, and it's a great game. You know, if you're into the Grand Theft Auto thing, the graphics and everything are outstanding. All those Grand Theft Auto fans are going to love it. How old are you, bro? I'm 24 years old. Yeah, she's an adult, man. You know, you're an adult. You know, you're an adult. You know, whatever. Hey, let me ask you, though. You don't have kids at this age, right? No, no, no, I don't have any kids. If you did, would you be cool with your 10-year-old playing that game? No, I definitely would not. How come? Well, I played it for two hours, and within that two hours, I killed probably about 100 people with my bare hands. And as you're driving through the city, you know, you can hear people cussing and swearing. And when you're driving in cars, the radio will play, and you can hear, you know, they got actual...
what do you call it, like music on there from real bands. And the bands are cussing and swearing, too. Dude, I am so out of it. I don't know. I don't know anything. Seriously, I'm hearing this. I'm like, I don't know any of this. Text us at 35253. When we come back, I am going to tell you, after a poll that's been done, what is the main concern for Americans? What do you think that is? We've got some tough rides on our freeway still here, especially northbound 5 now, trying to get pretty much out of Mission Bay. It starts at the 8 freeway for a slow crawl up into La Jolla. An accident in the slow lane near Genesee is the cause for that major backup right there. The south ones of the 5 still have plenty of brake lights here as well, coming down the coastline out of La Costa and towards Solana Beach. That busy 5 freeway northbound is causing a major backup on the 52 as well, trying to get over to the 5. That's slowing towards the 15 and then again out of Kearney Mesa underneath the 805.

The Raiders released running back Dominic Rhodes after they drafted Darren McFadden this weekend. That is the weirdest thing. That's something. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 5701053. All my stuff, I don't know where it is. All of it. Oh, I bet I put it here. I did, you guys. I don't know any of this. Bunch of shiners. You sure? I got it all. Come on, let's... All right, welcome back. So before we went to break, I said...
I was going to tell you what the number one concern for Americans is in a poll. Now, Sky says that this is when it comes to what, Sky? The economy. People are asked what's their biggest economic worry right now. Recession. Eddie. Housing. Good one. Shawnee. That would be the economy. Good guess, good guess. Definitely good guess. Mike, don't accept that. That's the question. Well, I think it's a good guess. But that's the question. In fact... It's like saying, what's your favorite color? My favorite color is... A color is a color? My favorite color. One of the colors. Skye, economically speaking, what is the main concern for Americans? Gas prices. That's what I was going to say. It's so funny because Eddie changed my mind. Yeah. As soon as he said it, I was like, well, duh, it's housing. It's probably here in California it is, but maybe not everywhere. Yeah. Yeah. This was a national survey. Gas was number one, followed by a good paying job, followed by health care, and then followed by paying your rent or mortgage. Why don't we ask, what is that name that you came up with for Sky yesterday? Oh.
Gassy Claus? Yeah, gassy Claus. Why don't we ask old Saint Poop? It's not my name. She would know all about gas. She does. It's very interesting that on the same day that this story is released that America's biggest economic worry is gas prices, Shell has reported their first quarter earnings. Anybody interested to hear what we got? What Shell's going on? This is going to be upsetting, whatever it is. Well, Shell has reported reported a 25% rise during their first quarter, giving them a net profit of $9 billion. Now, that's just the profit. That's not the sales. Yeah, their sales were $114 billion, but their profit was $9 billion. After they paid their bills. Yes, after everything's paid, $9 billion in the bank. It makes you go, like, that's so creepy. Like, that should be illegal for us to be struggling to drive to work, and they're banking $9 billion. That should be a crime. I'm sorry. They must be so powerful. Oh, come on. Like, crazy powerful. Yeah, watch who killed the electric car, Mike. I have watched that. Yeah. I have watched that. But see, here's the deal. There's two parts of it, Sky.
Because I get that electric car deal. They killed it. The problem is that not all consumers want to plug their car in. We should have the option, though. Yeah, we should have the option. The technology shouldn't be taken away because, you know, the gas companies are in bed with the automakers. I forget to charge my phone. I forget to charge my car. Did you just not go to work that day? No, it runs on gas after the battery runs out. Excuse me. Yeah. Why don't you just get like a big Duracell and stick it in there? But it's ridiculous. $9 billion in profit? I'm just trying to picture that guy going home, kissing his wife. If he could find her in their mansion. That's crazy. See, that's weird. He has to get on the intercom to find out where she is. Or the internet or whatever. You know, just blog it or whatever. The interweb. Skrill. Blog the web, Mike. Just get on there and start blogging the web. You know what I mean? That's what you do. Oh, it drives me nuts. Seriously. I said to Ashley the other day, she was asking me a question. I go, hey, just like, I don't know. Get on there and DSL it.
Smart. You know what I mean? Yeah. Motimize it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I didn't know what he was talking about. Go on the www. Yeah, yeah. Okay. And web about it. Yeah, web it. Yeah. Web it. Web it with my feet? No, you know. Uh-oh. Go on the I-N-N-E-R. Go on the internet. Yeah. Mikey Show. Surf the blog. Surf the blog for a couple hours. There you go. Just figure it out. Hello, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Yes, you're on the air. Hi. Okay, you had the question about the video game? Yes. Are you guys still on that subject? It doesn't matter. It's an open forum. We're going to do that until 2012. Okay, well, my argument is who is going to buy their child a video game about stealing cars anyways? About a billion people. You know what I mean? A billion people. Okay, what about glamorizing stealing cars? It's definitely not something I'd want my son to be like. Yeah, but you know that every parent, like, it's most parents. There's more parents than less parents that are doing it. They don't know. They don't know that that's what the game's really about. I think most parents would say that if you ask them directly, but then you go, well, did you buy them Grand Theft Auto 4? And they go, oh, yeah, I think my kid has that. I don't know any of this. I mean, I'd probably play it, but I wouldn't let my kid play it for sure. If you're an adult, it's one thing. Although, you know, for me, I can't as an adult.
I can't do it because it'll sink in my head and I'll have bad dreams like that, dude. I know me. But at least if you're an adult, you can make your mind up about it. You get to decide for yourself, you know? Definitely. How old are you? I am 27. Okay. Are you married? Sort of. You're sort of married? You are sort of married. That's a great answer. We've been together for like five years, though. You're almost legal. You're almost. What do they call that? Common law. Common law. Inbred. Inbred. Is that what it is? I don't know. You know what? Go on the blog. Let me surf the blog. Surf the blog a little bit and try to figure out. Surf some music about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go on there. There's like, on the internet right now, there's like hundreds of songs available. Dude. Like seriously. Really? You can get like a hundred songs are out there that you can get on your modem and stuff. Oh my gosh. You know what I'm saying? Seems like hundreds.
So I download the web. Go and download the web. Download it first. Download the web, and then you'll be like, whoa. And I get that peg file. Yeah, get the peg or whatever. You know, get your MPs, you know, your MPs. That's a good idea. What do you think? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm just saying, go on there. You know, on the web. I don't know if that's how it works. So you've been dating the same guy for five years. Two more years, you guys. I think he's married to all his other girlfriends, too, though. I'm not sure. He was married to the other girlfriends, you said? She's joking. Oh, she's joking. She's joking. How old is he? Like 40. Uh-uh. Really? You're 27. He's 40? 36. 37. He's... 37, yeah. Oh, Skye is so tired of you. She really wants me to hang up on you, but I'm not going to. No, no, no, Skye. Give it time. No, no, no. I understand. I understand. But I genuinely was interested. I was genuinely interested. Oh, you're 27 and he is 37. How does this have any bearing on a video game? It really. Well, because I'll tell you how your point was, hey, why would anybody be letting their kids do this in the first place? And then my question to you was, do you have any kids? And you said no. And what I was trying to say that I have a seven year old. Oh, oh, oh. Yeah, you never asked. Oh, I didn't ask that. I'm sorry. Yes, about being married. Being married. That's OK. So you have a seven year old with this fella.
No. With somebody else? Yeah. Okay, and the seven-year-old, you would never let watch this stuff, right? Now, the guy that you're with now, any plans on having kids? He has two already. How old are they? Eight and 14, I think. Does he have a rule about video games? Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Well, sort of. They get to play and see more of that kind of stuff than my son. Ah. She was doing like the Ashley thing. She was communicating with the husband through the radio, letting the husband know, I think this stuff is terrible, honey. Who would ever let somebody do such a thing? He's sitting right there with you? What's his thoughts on it? There's things that he disagrees with that I do also. Parenting-wise? Yeah, like he wouldn't argue in front of my son, but sometimes I kind of...
I tend to do that. And, well, it takes two to argue, so when you do it, he doesn't participate? She starts it up. She starts it up. Sometimes I do, yeah. Now, when you do, though, he will not participate. Yeah, he definitely does. Oh, he does? Yeah. But he gets upset and says, we should not be doing that in front of the kids. Yeah. I agree. We're trying. He's got a good point. Hey, that's all you can do. Just give it your best shot, you know? Yeah, he's my first. I mean, I'm still learning, I guess. Yeah. I made a lot of mistakes. It takes time. He's 37. You're 27. You ever going to give him the all, hey, either, you know, fish or cut bait? What does that mean? It means, you know, the whole, hey, listen, if we don't get married, I'm out of here. You know what? I wouldn't want to marry him until I feel that we are at a position that we both are ready for that. What's he saying?
For me, and I don't think I am for him either. What is he saying? We can't even see eye to eye on even half of the things. Why are you together? That's a good question. I'm not sure. Really? No, for real? Honestly? No, I love him. And there are a lot of things going on right now that probably affect our relationship as well that we have no control over. Now, I got to tell you. He's asking me all these questions. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't argue in front of the children. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I got to tell you. That's all I wanted to say. I'm going to go ahead and get off the phone now. Are you still? Okay, you guys have a nice day, okay? Listen on the radio. Listen on the radio. Just got her in trouble. Oh, I got to tell her this on the radio. I hope she's still listening because I got to tell her this on the radio. What? The relationship is a guide. For the kids to know how to be in a marriage. Yes. Or a relationship. The relationship that she has with that guy is teaching their kids what to be like. Yeah, that's his handbook. Yes. Her son's handbook is watching what she does. Yeah. And that's what a marriage is supposed to look like. So, anyway, our phone number, 570-1053. Our text.

Actor Jon Favreau coming up. And you can text us, 35253. P1 Bagpiper is on the line. What's up, Bagpiper? Hey, good morning, Mikey. How you doing, sir? Good, dude. What's up? Hey, you know, I've been listening all morning, but I just had to call in and I wanted to talk about the whole Grand Theft Auto scenario we got going on here. I mean, I love you guys, but I really think you're blowing it out of proportion. You know, not looking at all of the facts or maybe just focusing on one fact. That's fair. What's your thoughts? Well, I put it this way. I've been playing games since I was like 10 years old. I'm pretty much your age. I'm a single dad. My daughters will be 13 next month. So, I mean, all this stuff is pretty much on my radar. But at the same time, I'm looking at these games. And, you know, I've played a lot of the ones that, you know, have come up in the media. And now that we're talking about Grand Theft Auto.
And yeah, there's violence and there's shooting and there's drug use and swearing and so forth. But literally it is no different than you would see in any movie that would be rated PG-13. It's no different than you would see on a million and one websites that kids go to, cartoons, even comic books, stuff like that. And I'm not saying it's right or wrong. I'm simply saying that you can't just pick video games out and say that they're bad. I'm not suggesting that video games are the only thing bad. Absolutely. I'm just suggesting that video games are one of the things that are bad. And I can't imagine that you would be suggesting that video games are fine for a kid to consume. Not by any means. Well, then we agree. Absolutely. We agree with each other. I don't think I'm saying anything that you don't agree with. Agreed. I think it's just a really sore point with me because, you know, it's my big hobby. I love video gaming. But at the same time, you're looking at, you know, the Senate. And then every so often you'll get, you know, one senator or one representative or somebody trying to stand on their soapbox. And, you know, let's outlaw video games because they called this killing or this kid used to play this video game. And now he shot all these other kids in school. And to me, that harkens back to, you know.
The whole kiss scenario from the late 70s and 80s went, oh, if you listen to kiss rock and roll music, you're now a Satan worshiper and you're going to kill somebody. And I think that's where we need to be careful is how we portray it in the media. I don't think that if you listen to kiss music that you're a Satan worshiper. I don't believe that and I never did either. But let me finish the thought. I also don't believe and I think that it would be childlike to believe that you would consume something and it not affect you. I think that's impossible. How do you consume something that doesn't have an effect? Desensitizing. I agree with that. I was actually in Iraq back in 92. I'm off. Yeah. I mean, think about it, bro. I mean, here's the thing. Is he still there, by the way? I am here. Okay. Here's the thing. Let's say that the two Columbine kids, let's say that they watched tons and tons of video games. Okay? Okay. I am not suggesting that the reason that they did what they did was because they watched video games. What I'm suggesting is the video games were a part of a puzzle. Contributing, like their lifestyle. They were contributing.
They were contributing. I mean, seriously, if you look at it, let's say that you have a puzzle and the puzzle is called why they went into Columbine and shot the place up. It's a long title for a puzzle, but let's just go with me here. Let's say that that's the name of the puzzle, why they went into Columbine and shot the place up. That puzzle is going to have, I don't know, I would say if I'm just taking a guess here. I'm going to say that there's probably 10 big pieces to that puzzle. And I don't know. It could be four. It could be nine. It could be 100. But I'm just saying I'm going to take a guess that it's 10. And let's say that these kids consumed a ton of video games that depicted people shooting each other in the head and blood coming out and all stuff like that for hours upon hours upon hours. Do I believe that it makes them go? ooh, that's what I want to do. Not necessarily. What I do think that it does is it diminishes that act. It makes that act something that they're very used to seeing. It's the very definition of desensitize. And so I think that it's a big piece of that puzzle. Now, I hear where you're coming from. You're coming from a standpoint of, hey, man, I like my video games.
I don't want anybody taking my video games away because a couple of wacky kids went and did their thing. I completely understand where you're coming from. But just like everything else, if there was something that I don't dig, like, for instance, Sky likes the idea of the electric car, and I agreed that it should be available to people. Now, if... They said that there was going to be a law being introduced that said that you must get rid of any car you have unless it's electric. Basically, what I got to do at that point is I got to go. I live in America. If people vote that, that's what they vote like. That means more people that believe that way believe than I believe. I got to go with it. And I kind of feel the same way about the video game deal. If there was a law that said we're going to outlaw these really ultra violent video games. Eddie probably vote no. He digs planning. He's probably going to give a no vote. Absolutely. And you're going to give a no vote. And there may be somebody out there that says, I don't want my kids to have that stuff. I am voting yes. Well, whoever votes more, bro, that's a deal. That's a bottom line. That's democracy, and I could deal with that. Yeah, man. They have ratings on games. And if parents are choosing not to look at these ratings,
I don't know what to say. They're trying to say what these games are for mature audiences, not for kids. But you gotta be diligent. You have to pay attention if you're a parent. I gotta admit, I wasn't a very diligent parent. Now granted, Jake's not old enough to be with these video kids, but I had no idea. I feel kind of... I work in an industry where I kind of know some stuff. I didn't have a clue what you guys were saying. I didn't know that stuff was in there. I'm a little behind the times, I guess. P1 Hugs. Hey, this is P1 Hugs. Mikey, I just wanted to comment earlier. This guy was talking about the electric car, and I'm on my way into work right now. I just want to get out there. I don't hear anybody talking about it or whatever, but you guys can Google what's called air car. There's a guy in France, an inventor in France, who has actually come up with a car that runs off of compressed air. It's awesome. I saw like a little special on it. For real? Yeah, it's so awesome. If you Google air car, you'll see a little YouTube video on like the second or third link. And if you watch that video, you'll just be completely blown away that there's actually a car that just runs strictly off. There it is. There's the air car blasting by at 100 miles an hour. Look at that. Completely using air.
Gross. It's really incredible the way they harness it. There's a lot of different theories, you know, and ideas out there, great ideas out there. But with, you know, the reason I'm kind of a supporter of the electric car is because that's technology that we have right now that we can mass produce and that can be available in, you know, like right now to people. Whereas things like the air car and a bunch of the other different ones, you know. Now the air car works. You heard Sean play a clip of the air car and it does work. Oh. I use one as a hobby. As a hobby? That doesn't even make sense. Well, right now, in order to be able to carry my weight, it's just a tricycle. Okay. But it has an adapter. The adapter is something that I can't really talk about freely on the radio because of the FCC and the way that they work. Oh, man. Well. But I will tell you that the air tricycle that I use. Yeah. works famously. It's just amazing. It kills it. It kills it. It kills it. That's awesome, Mike. It's really great. I'm very happy for you. 570-1053 is our phone number. You guys know who Ashley Dupree is? Oh, yeah. That's the chick that was having sex with the governor in New York. She worked for the escort service.
Came out that she was actually in one of those Girls Gone Wild videos, right? And it was like a real big deal. Well, the way that it came up was that Joe Francis, the guy that owns Girls Gone Wild. He went back in their archives. He was like, oh, we have this chick like on some of our videos. Yeah, he was in the process of negotiating a million dollar deal with her for her to endorse his like magazine and do like a bus tour or something to endorse his stuff. And while they were in the middle of negotiations, that's when he was like, well, maybe we should check and just make sure we don't actually already have her. And they did. They had her on some of their Girls Gone Wild videos already from back in the day. So he's like, maybe we don't need to pay the million dollars. Wow. And now she's suing him. Yes. Now she has filed a lawsuit for $10 million in damages, saying that at the time that she was featured in one of their videos, she was only 17 years old and that they got her drunk and then had her sign a release form at the age of 17. So she's suing for $10 million in damages. That looks filthy.
It does, doesn't it? I can't believe Sky's going to drink this Calpico. I'm not going to drink it. It's right here, Eddie. It just got into the studio right now. We were talking about it yesterday. I don't care how much you guys or whatever. I'm not. I don't do dairy. Why don't we have... Oh, goodness. What does it say? Naturally and artificially flavored? Yeah, I don't do artificial flavors and I don't do dairy. So I'm sorry. I will not be enjoying this. There we go. Refreshingly sweet and tangy. Sky will have the original. My mom will call and yell at you if I have artificial flavors. We gotta try it. We have to. Skinner will not be happy. We have to try it. You go right ahead. How's the aroma? How's the aroma? Mike's the foodie on the show. I think Mike can give a... You know what it smells like? And I'm smelling the Calpico original flavor. It smells citrusy. Yeah. Does it smell bad? No, not at all. It just smells citrusy. You're going to like it. Go for it. Here, have Sky take just like a capful. I'm not having any. It reminds me of milk of magnesia. No, I don't want any. It's going to give me a tummy ache.
Just a sip, Skye. I have a very sensitive stomach and palate. Zethi and Oates just poured her a capful. I don't want to, you guys. I said no yesterday. Go. Yeah, go for it. You guys should. Robbie? You in? Robbie Shades is in. Robbie Shades? Zeth's in. I'll do it if Skye does it. Stop saying that. You know I'm not going to do it. Peach, mango, and original. You got to try original. It kind of looks like what's in the bucket when you're washing your car. Shut up. That's so true. Yeah. Calpico. So good. Oh, wow. Is that the smell on which one? Calpico is kind of foul. It is not, bro. It's delicious. I don't know. Sean is drinking it right now. Asma's drinking it. Oh, dude, I love this stuff. Filthy. Please. We were talking about this yesterday. If you weren't tuning in, Calpico. It's a Japanese milky-like soft drink. Did you just try it, Eddie? No, no, no. I'm nervous. You hear Sean chugging it? Yeah. Obnoxiously. Oh, he's drinking it down. Gross. Eddie's going to do it. Are you going to try original flavor, Eddie? You're a madman. I'm crazy. You're a madman. You're going to love it, bro. Eddie will try anything, man. Ready, Rob? Yep.
Are you going to... We should get a picture. Get a picture, Seth. I know you're going to try it, but we've got to take a picture. Here, I'll take a picture. Just give me the camera, and I'll take a picture. Turn the lights on. This is so dumb. Ew! I'm sorry. It really gets you. It's not even carbonated. Okay, wait a minute. You know what? I'm going to videotape it with the camera. Are you ready? You're going to like it, man. Okay, Eddie, are you ready? To your health. Go ahead. Here he goes. He's drinking Calpico. They're all drinking it. Zeth, Eddie, and Rob just took a drink. It's not bad. Eddie, what are your thoughts? Well, Zeth, you have a flavored one. Eddie's got this look like, I don't know. It literally tastes like something you would get at the doctor's office. Really? Like barium. I'm not kidding. It has a weird consistency.
It's kind of like 7-Up mixed with milk. Ew. It's weird, man. It's weird. No, I don't want any. I will say this. It doesn't have a bad taste. It's not like I'm throwing up because I'm like, ew, gross. Rob would consume anything, man. He is like a badger in the wild. It's awkward. It's awkward. Is that how you would describe it? It's kind of awkward? Is it real unusual? Very unusual. Sean, what's your favorite? Does it taste like milk at all, Eddie? No. No, it tastes, you get more of the lemon liminess. Yeah. Don't hold that up like you think I'm going to try it. Just try it. I think you would be okay. It's not like foul. It doesn't make me. It makes me feel that I'll throw up. I definitely want to do that. Now, Sean, do you like the flavored ones better than the original? What do you think is the best? I prefer the original. Oh, so the original is top of the line. It's the best. Okay. It is the best. No. Scott, I think you can try it. It's not bad. You don't have a cold or anything, right? No. I can get you a new one if you want a new one. He's got Hep A, but... Yeah, you do have Hep A. It's not bad, dude. You're not going to get sick or anything. You won't. Oh, my God. Oh, no. Look at that kisser. Just think you have to have surgery. That is so weird. Yeah, I know. It's uncomfortable. That's your boy, Sean, right there. That's his drink. Drink of choice.
You know, it makes me feel even more uncomfortable because there's a Hello Kitty on the phone. Oh, that's weird. It's a promotion they're doing. You don't want to walk down the street chugging your Hello Kitty drink. Sky, please. No, leave me alone. It's not bad. It's weird, but it's not bad. We have four different opinions on the matter. I think that's plenty. Thank you. Actually, we have five. No, Eddie, sit down. Ashley, what about you? I'll try it. Come on in here. There you go. Come on, kid. Come on, Skye. Everybody's doing it. Skye, everyone's doing it. All the cool people are doing it. Please go away. I beg of you to go away. Also, it's Ashley, your friend. Help me go. Try the original. It's delicious. Try it. Look at her, man. She's like, gulp, gulp, gulp. It's got gin in it. I hope that's not an issue. What do you got? You know, it tastes like, oh, another sip? You know, like the bottom of an ashtray if it had a pork sandwich in it. It tastes like one of those, like, sugar-free juices. Yeah, it tastes like my sandals after I've been jogging in them. Ew. It's all right. It's good, huh? I mean, no, it's definitely not good. No, no one's saying the word good, Sean. I don't mind it.
It's refreshing. Sky, every single one of us has tried it. That is awesome for all of us. Can you please be part of radio history? Can you please be part of radio history? It has dairy in it. I can't drink dairy either. I took a little sip. It's alright. It's not going to give you the squirts. Come on. You know what sucks is you guys just want me to do it because I don't want to. No. Like, it has nothing to do. We all did it. I know. It has nothing to do with the show. It has nothing to do. It has everything to do with the show. We're all on the air. You guys do this crap to me in the office. You just want me to. That's true. See? That part is true. Everyone else did it. This all played out on the air. The audience gets what it's all about. Can you just take a sip? This has nothing to do with the show. It's not going to kill you. I would prefer not to. I would prefer not to. What are you going to say?
She's getting upset. But I'd rather not. I mean, like, why? Fine. Why won't it hurt you? Because it's upsetting you. Then it'll be something else. Then it'll be something else. They're never going to leave me alone. It's always going to be something. You know how they are. They don't stop. They're like attack dogs. Today, Calpico. Today, Calpico. Tomorrow, Oxtail. Oh, that would be delicious. High five. Are you serious? Of course. Of course I am. Here, load this video, Zethia Notes. Oh, my gosh. Please. Please, Kelpico. It's so good. We'll mail it to you, Sean. All right. So refreshing. Can you turn the lights off? I'm glad you all enjoyed it. No. It's all right, Sean. Sean, I don't know why you would, you know, I mean, it wasn't. I would not drink a full bottle of that. It's got a lot of sugar. Or I would not order it. I would never buy it. That's not good, dude. You should go for the light juice. It's the same effect, but less sugar. It's not the same effect. Light white grape juice or something. No. My son, Jake, is going to be 19 months old in a few days, and he tried to cheese it for the first time yesterday. Can't just have one. See, he tries stuff. That's right.
Jake is more mature than you are. That's a great point. Kind of is. When do you stop counting in months? You don't. You don't. Parents don't go, oh, my child is 172 months old. You know what I mean? Maybe at 24 months. No, because I could still see saying 28 months old. Really? I've never heard that. No? Once they're two, I think you start saying years. Then you go by years. Really? I don't know. I was asking. I don't think there's a rule. No? I think there is a rule. And why do I not just say, how come I just don't go he's a year and a half old? Why do we do that stupid month thing? And how did Skye get out of that so smooth? I'm not letting it go. Even if we go off the air, this is going to continue. She's drinking. What if it was ham, Flair? That was really sweet, Skye. I think it's two. Nicely done, Skye. I didn't even see that coming. Well said. Mikey Show.
What's up? Hey, can I request a song real quick? It's The Beating. Do we have it? Nope, we deleted it. I don't know that we have it. No, Ma. Where's The Beating song? It's topped. What's The Beating song? No, I said, where is it? I'm looking for it. It's in the garbage bin. Oh, it's not. It's in the garbage bin. You're beating. You're beating. You're beating. You're beating. You're beating. She doesn't like to try new things. Why, Mike? Why? It's not going to hurt her. It doesn't hurt. I'd prefer not to. It doesn't hurt. Just respect me as a friend. No, I refuse. How about this? I respect you as a friend, but I would like to know why you won't, and then I'll leave it alone. Because it's like a dairy-based drink, and I don't... I don't care for this. There's like no dairy in that. I read the ingredients clown school. Not bad milk. You don't taste dairy at all. Oh, so that's why everybody was like, yeah, it's kind of like a mixture between milk and soda. It's like milky. Oh. It doesn't make it. You're such a clown. Milky doesn't make it milky. Milky does not equate milk. And thank you. P1 Mike. Wait a minute. You get it. P1 Mike's the guy that dropped the stuff off. Mike, are you there?
Yeah, I'm right here. Come back and pick it up. Yeah. If I were you, I'd come get it. You saved it from me when I come down. No, it's creepy. Sean. My wife can't stand it. Do you have to refrigerate this, dude? Are you kidding? You should bury it. Ass. How did Sean try that the first time? Well, how do you look at that and go, mmm. Oh, that looks delicious. You would believe half the stuff that they sell over in Japan. Oh, man. I watch Bizarre Foods. That's right. I've eaten dog, cat, monkey brain, and that stuff is pretty good. Have you really, dude? Yes, I have. Okay, wait. Let's start from the beginning. Would you eat your dog? Would you eat your cat? Would you eat your... Okay, let's start from the beginning. Hang on. Let me ask questions. Let me ask questions, and you answer. Okay, what country were you in when you ate dog? Korea. And when you ate... When you ate the dog, did you eat it from a street vendor? Who was that, a restaurant? It was in a restaurant. Yeah. Was it a restaurant that's, like, on the street, or was it, like, one of these restaurants that's, like, it was nice or something? I don't know. Almost like, you know, a taco shock out here, you know, just something that was on the street, but it wasn't a street. Where the heck are you from, kid? Yeah. South Boston. Oh, no, kid. He's a Southie? Had no idea. Yeah, he's a Southie. Okay, so. I can't shoot, dude.
Do you see dogs hanging, or how did you do it? How did you order it? I was on the menu, and it said dog, so I ate it. But I know on the street. No, no, no, wait, wait, wait, please. Let me ask. I got questions, and then you can do that. I just have straight-ahead questions. Do you know what kind of dog it was? No, they're more like cattle over there. It's not like your regular mutt. It's not like a Rottweiler or a Golden Retriever or nothing like that. What did it look like? Was it white or dark? Well, it didn't have hair on it. It was already cooked and all that. No, I mean the meat itself. Was the meat white meat or dark meat? Both. The one that I had, it was kind of like a consistency of a chicken almost. What did it taste like? Kind of like a chicken. It really did? Yeah, well, with whatever, you know, the sauces and stuff on it, you know, it didn't really have, you know, it wasn't like a... You know, it wasn't like eating a filet mignon or nothing like that, but it wasn't bad. It wasn't bad? No. Okay, what about cat? Cat, a little stringy. Oh. Sean. It was a little... Sean. It was a little stringy, you're saying? Yeah. Kind of like an overcooked chicken, you know, a little dry, but...
stringy. When they prepare it, do they prepare it in a sauce or is it deep fried or how is it prepared? Mine was prepared almost on like skewers. Uh-huh. Like teriyaki skewers. So you put it on teriyaki skewers and did they grill it? It was grilled. The cat I had out from a street vendor. It was from a street vendor and he grilled it? Yeah. Wow. And which did you prefer, dog or cat? Dog. You preferred dogs. Yeah, it sounds like you preferred the dog by far. Yeah, it was just a little stringy. Maybe it was just the guy who cooked it, you know? Yeah, maybe the guy didn't know how to make cat that good. Yeah, exactly. And then what else did you say that you've had? I've had monkey brain. Where did you have that? Cambodia. He's like Third Street, San Diego. Brains are supposed to be delicious. Cambodia? Yeah, Cambodia. How was it prepared? Have you ever seen the movie Face of the Death? Yes. That's exactly how it was prepared. We had to actually crack its head open and flip it out. Yeah, they do that. They really do. And they depicted it in one of those... Temple of Doom. Temple of Doom. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Yeah, they put its head in like a little... Yeah, don't need to go into the details. How am I going to get the recipe?
I don't know, but I'll tell you this. That Calpico sounded a lot better to Sky than it did about five minutes ago. Thank you for the call. No problem. Guys, enjoy. Sean, there's three other flavors in there for you to try when you come down next. Thank you, dude. Yuck. I'm so excited. Let me tell you, as much of a germaphobe as Sean is, he eats the filthiest stuff. It's not filthy. I have such vivid memories of Sean holding a white bowl with Japanese lettering around the bowl. And he would have chopsticks in his hand and he would be shoveling noodles into his mouth with chopsticks from the bowl. And I would be looking at him like he was Martian. 35253. Rock 105.3 Traffic. you by Sleep Train Mattress Center. Hard traffic's still pretty messed up in some spots. Northbound 5 still quite heavily backed up here out of downtown all the way into Mission Bay. Actually to the 52 right now, but then you're free to go. Once you get past that, yeah, it's pretty good. There was an accident near Genesee that caused that major backup. It's been out of the way, but there's still some left over slowing there. And that's causing a major backup on the westbound 52 still from the 805 trying to get to the 5 freeway. And that in turn is keeping 805 northbound very tough out of Kearney Mesa up to that 52 as people try to hop on the westbound side of that freeway there. Heading south into 5, very tough out of Encinitas towards Solana Beach. South 15, still some leftover slowing into Rancho Bernardo. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Hey, it's Mikey for Amco. I'm the type of person that likes to know exactly what I'm going to get before I get into it. That's why I always, whenever I'm doing any kind of endorsement, I always check them out before I pass it on to you, the P1s. I'm telling you, you can trust Amco.
When you go into Amco, they will diagnose an engine light problem. Before you ever have to pay for it, it's free for them to diagnose it. They're not going to fix anything that isn't broken. And don't forget the fact that Amco does transmissions, brakes, oil changes. Now, you may be saying to yourself, why Amco? Why would I go to Amco and not take it to the dealership? Well, first of all, the experience. The experience in the database. They hook up with all these other AMCOs with guys that know exactly what problems are going on. And when they experience something that they don't know about, which isn't often, they can go on there and figure it out. AMCO is the only place you want to go. It's AMCO. Double A. Beep, beep. This is the number one rock song in the country. It's from Seether. It's called Rise Above This.
So welcome back to the show. It is 940. Texas Child Protective Services say that more than half of the polygamous sex teenage girls have been pregnant. Roger Clemens' meteoric downfall continues. Reports are saying that Clemens... has had an affair with singer Mindy McCready. Oh. And wasn't she like a minor when they started hanging out? Well, I'm not throwing that into the mix. Yeah, that's what I read on TMZ a while ago, that she was 15 years old when they started their friendship slash relationship. So who knows if it was appropriate or inappropriate while she was a minor. Well, the reason why this is all coming out is that Roger Clemens filed a lawsuit against that McNamee guy. Uh-huh. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And he filed this defamation lawsuit. Against him. Well, you know, now McNamee's coming up with stuff about Clemens as like a rebuttal. And so now he's finding out that he may have had an affair with this country singer. And it's just, I mean, Roger Clemens went from being one of the greatest pitchers in the history of baseball. What, you know, maybe the greatest pitcher in the history of baseball. Surefire Hall of Famer to a guy who I don't know that is going to get one vote for the Hall of Fame. Wow.
Whoa. That's a trip, dude. Dude, talk about going from the penthouse to the outhouse. Mm-hmm. So, yeah, what I was reading on TMZ is they say that Mindy McCready says that she first met him when she was 19 years old and that they've been longtime friends and that he even helped her through her recent legal troubles of the last four years because, you know, she's been in trouble with drugs and booze and the whole deal. Wow. Yeah. Here we were talking about Ashley's feet. Well, you know, Ash feels that her boyfriend, Mark, doesn't like her feet. And I said, I don't get that impression. Even he said he thinks she's got cute feet. She has an issue with her feet. She says she'd like to get foot restoration surgery. First of all, I do not have a problem with my feet, Mike. I love my feet. She wants to get a foot job. The only reason why I want to get a foot job is because my boyfriend, Mark, pointed out my prominent bone. Had he not, I would have loved my...
My feet. I do love my feet and not a problem. Believe it or not, we're still getting text messages about it. You've got to see these two by fours. This one says, hey, Ash, don't fret. Everyone loves a beautiful foot. Signed, Sarah Jessica Parker's face. She's gorgeous. Touchdown. So I'll take that as a compliment. Well, that is ridiculous. I mean. Well, it's rude. Mikey, dog actually tastes like corned beef. Maybe he's had it. Mikey, brain is so gross. It tastes and feels like you're eating straight fat. My parents made me try it. Dry Eve. P1 Knickers. It's supposed to be very creamy. Let's not talk about this anymore. Not chewy. Not chewy. Creamy. Skye. Uh-uh, Mike. No, I don't want to play this game. There is an amount. I'd do it for free, Mike. I don't want to play this game.
You would really. I would eat brains for free. It has to be prepared good. You know, I'm not going to just put it some kind of good. I don't think that's the thing, though. I don't think they prepare it. Yeah, dude, I watch Bizarre Foods all the time. And they do? Yeah. What are they, stir fry? Andrew Zimmern says, dude, brains is one of his favorite foods. How does he do it? How does he have it? He's ordered it in a variety of ways. Variety of ways. Anything's good fried. It's not necessarily. I don't think it's fried. They cook it and they put sauces on it, you know? But now does it depend on the different kind of brain? Well, cow brains is very good. Cow brains better than monkey brain, would you say? I don't know. I would have to ask him. And you would do monkey brain, Eddie? All right, well. I don't even eat raw. You know? Come on, Sky. That sounds good, dude. Sky, $1,000. All fresh, crisp, 20s, right? And it's those new 20s. It's those new 20s, Skye, and they've got a band around them. They have the paper band around them. $1,000, one bite. Skrill. I think she's saying no deal. No deal, Skye, or would you do it for $1,000? No, I would not do it for $1,000. Deal or no deal? Come on. $5,000. Do we have the deal or no deal, like, you know, the banker stuff? What are we talking, like one bite or to eat a dish? What are we talking?
Sock, eat a dish. Eat a dish. Sean is going to get... Here we go. They're not that big, Sky. I like that big. Take a look. Sky, I have to stand up for this. Really delicious. I have in front of you one bowl of monkey brain. As you can see, as you look into the bowl, there are shiitake mushrooms accompanying monkey brain. And I'd like to offer you $5,000. I do need a new car. Ashley's right. But $5,000 is not going to cover a new car. That's not wrong. Sky, $5,000 deal or no deal? Yeah, I'm saying no deal. No deal, she says.
Hang on just a second, guys. Let's check the banker's call. Yo! Why is Mike? I told you not to call me. Wait, wait. You're not stupid. I don't know. Oh, my goodness. I got to go. What? I don't know. You shouldn't be giving that line out. It's the banker, guys. It's the banker. How much is he offering? How much are you going to get? All right. Just say a number. Okay. What is he saying? What are you talking about? Okay, but what if we were to do a refi? Okay. Sorry, guys. This is our actual banker calling. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. You know what? Why are you giving that line now? Martin, I'll call you later. Oh, I know. Sorry, that was our actual banker, Martin. Oh, my God. It's the actual banker, guys. It's the one for the game. Yeah, the one for the game. Okay, because I'm sick of this. How much?
Perfect. Thank you. Giving out that number. You're right. I shouldn't give it out. I know. This isn't all appropriate. Sky, we have a new amount. Last time it was $5,000, and this time the banker is prepared. If you're willing to eat that bowl of raw monkey brain. Oh, they're raw? They're raw? It's the way that we've always heard about monkey brain. So like what the caller said. Shiitake mushrooms, raw monkey brain. Well, the way the caller said, there's no shiitake mushrooms. You just crack the thing open and use a spoon. As you can see, the top of that skull is opened up and shiitake mushrooms have been... That's weird. That is strange. Anyway. Maybe a little scallion. Yeah, a little scallion in there. Delicious. I need to know what we're talking about. You're confusing me. Skye, what you have in front of you right now is a bowl with a monkey's head in it. Okay. The top of the skull has been removed, and for some strange reason, shiitake mushrooms have been sprinkled on it. But what you're looking at, Skye, is a thin level. Have the mushrooms been sauteed?
The mushrooms have been sautéed. But what you're looking at there, Skye, is a very thin, thin level of transparent membrane. Underneath that membrane is a gelatinous brain. You have in front of you what looks like a steak knife so that it'll make it easy to be able to cut into it. And a fork. Now remember... In order for you to be able to get the money that the banker just offered, you're going to have to... Whatever it is, it's not enough. Whatever you're... You're going to have to eat the entire brain. But the banker is talking real business now. The banker would like to up the last ante 10 times to $50,000. But you have to eat the entire brain. It probably tastes good. Okay. Ashley, Ashley, as my supporter, Ashley, you have to realize that the government is going to tax that 50%. Get it. Deal. A $25,000 could get me in the case. $50,000 deal. Do the deal. Take the deal. Or no deal. Take the deal. Take the deal. Take it. Mikey, I will take that deal. You got it, Sky. Whoa. $20,000.
$25,000 in cash. After taxes, it would be $25,000 in cash. Now, let's see what's in the actual briefcase. Are you ready? I'm going to open up the actual briefcase here, and we're going to see how much Sky could have actually... How much she could have paid for that. Let me open it up. I just turned around. It's already open. Why did I just say that? Because I'm looking at the amount. Why would I even... Now it's closed. Now it's closed. The whole thing was weird. That's our banker calling back again. It's the weirdest thing in the world. Hello? The deal's made. Yeah, we just made the deal. She took it. Who are you talking about? Oh, how's that? You can't have personal calls on the banker line. Who are you talking about? It was Craig Gass doing the voice of the banker the first time. There is no deal, apparently. She's already eaten the brain, but there was no deal. Well, I will see you in court. How about that? Oh, that went well. Oh, I sure can. Let's see. Dozens. of animals have been rescued from a disgusting home in Santee. That makes me so angry. What is the deal? Or no deal? This house on Prospect Avenue near Lemon Crest Drive in Santee. You can't just make up names of streets. How much for Sean to do a sleepover at that house? What do you think, Sean? Deal.
Sean, how much to eat an omelet off the floor? Oh, you're crazy. No, no, not going to happen. He would do it for $100,000. He would eat an omelet. Rob and Zeph would do it for free. It's an omelet. It's like a free omelet, bro. So basically, authorities got a tip about the condition of this home, and they went out there, and inside the house, of course, they found the house totally trashed, covered in animal feces, the whole deal. There was a dead bird. 23 dogs, a tortoise, a skunk, a cat, and a macaw all in the house. The dogs were tied up. Their chains were all wrapped up and knotted. Only one of the 23 dogs was able to reach a water source from where it was tied up. None of the animals had food. Who was the owner? They do not have anyone in custody yet. They're looking into it. They're trying to find out. Oh, that is brutal. But it was just disgusting. Oh, that's terrible. And all the animals were taken, except for the dead bird, of course, were taken to a shelter in Bonita. Why did they take the bird? Well, because it was dead. Did they just leave it there? Well, no. I mean, I'm sure they disposed of it. So they took the bird.
You don't take it to the shelter. I heard that they, no, they put her on a raft, launched out to sea, and they're just going to let it be a sea burial, and they just, everybody was like, so you light it on fire when you do that? I think you're supposed to. Like Beowulf. That's right. Smiley Myrus is on track to be a billionaire by the end of the year. A billionaire. You must have that wrong. No, no, no, no. It's definitely... Yeah, no, it's definitely past $999 million. Yeah, if you read the latest People magazine, she was paid a million dollars per show for her concert tour. Oh, my goodness. A million dollars per show. Oh, my goodness. That's a lot of money. Yeah, so they say by 2009, she will be a billionaire. Her mom says that most of the money she makes goes into an investment fund. I think she'll get an Academy Award for this picture. More money on top of it. Wait, hold on, savings account? I have a question. A child savings account. This is what I want to know. When she turns 18, do her parents go, and here's all the money you've earned. And one billion. Yes. Here's a billion. In a cashier's check. Well, her mom says that as far as all the money going into her investment fund, that she can't touch it until she's 18. See, I just wonder, like, how much is mom and dad's, and how much is miney-nimey? Smiley-nimey. Smiley-nimey. Smiley-nimey.
How long until she starts shaving her head and talking in a British accent? That's true. Hey, we didn't finish new releases. Let's do that when we come back. When I gambled and lost, I kept gambling. I loved the action and I thought I could win it all back. Nobody could tell I had a problem. I wouldn't believe it. For a while, it was easy to hide. In the end, I lost more than money. I lost myself. I lied. Lost my job. I hurt everyone who cared about me. If the funds become something that's hurting you or your family, get help. Call 1-800-
GAMBLER. That's 1-800-GAMBLER. A message from the California Office of Problem Gambling. P1 Arturo Fuentes. Hey, I just wanted to call and share my AIS story. Yeah, that's what Rob says up here, that you went to AIS and that you saved money. Oh, yeah. I'm down from $290 a month to $134 a month, so I save about $2,000 a year. I've got a my-fault accident, a whole bunch of tickets, and I drive about 5,000 miles a month. You're just a regular guy. And you called AIS on my advice, at my urging, and you saved a ton of dough. Yeah, and I'm on their commercial division because I do my job out of my own truck. Where did you go to, the office in Escondido or the office in Mission Valley? I went to the Escondido office. Sweet. Everybody should be going to AIS. 1-800-777-4AIS is the phone number. 1-800-777-4247. Thank you, Arturo Fuentes.

The rest of the new releases, right? We're going to do the rest of the new releases then. Oh, wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. So we will do. New releases here. And then. And then. And then. And then. We will. And then. Do some P1 trivia. And then. So, new releases, Sky? Yes. I am ready to rumble. Yeah. You can call me Hill Rock. You can call me Hill Rock. You can tell we had Starbucks. What do we got, Sky? Okay.
That's not a good sign. Let's start with the video games. Grand Theft Auto 4. That's not good, Scott. It does not bode well. Yes, like Eddie said. Grand Theft Auto 4 is out today for Xbox 360 and the PS3. So enjoy. Also out today, we have Mario Kart Wii for the Wii. Now, what is that? It's the Super Mario Brothers, and they race cars, and it's cool because it comes with a little wheel, and you take your Wii controller, and you lock it into the middle of the wheel, and then you're just holding the wheel, and you're in midair, and you're driving. Yeah, like I think you'd be driving back and forth if you were milking a cow. Didn't you see me at K1 Speed? That's true. You were very scared. Yeah, it was horrible. Also out today, we have Iron Man for Xbox 360, the Wii, PS2, PS3. Is that exciting, Eddie? Guys, guys, I want that. Wow. What is it? Tell me what it is again. I got nothing coming up. Iron Man, the video game.
Iron Man the video game. How about that, Eddie? Wow. Please, somebody. All right, all right. Okay. Also out today, Warhawk Operation Broken Mirror for PS3. This guy's making up games again. And then we have Pixel Junk Monsters Encore for the PS3. She is making stuff up. She really is. Yeah. Okay. So now we have new music out today. We got quite a bunch. We have the brand new... I'm just ignoring him. It's like... You have to because he's not going to stop. How are you going to ignore that, though? He had Starbucks and he never drinks coffee. Right. We have the brand new one from Madonna called Hard Candy out today. 1984 called. Her new single with Timberlake. and Timbaland is supposed to be really good. It's called Four Minutes. All right. Oh, we have the clips now. We have them. Oh, sorry. To you, Mike. To you. I forgot that we had the clips. Subtle hint to Mike. Are they up? Are they up or down? Page up. They're page up? Are they page up? Would we say they're page up or would you say page down? I'm breaking sexy back. This is Madonna? This is a computer.
Madonna and Justin Timberlake and Timbaland did the beat. Well, yeah, it sounds like... You hear him a little bit, too, but... Well, it sounds like you mostly hear him. He rocks my life. To me, listening to that is more like going, yeah, you can hear her a little bit in that Justin song. Yeah, it's like Justin Timberlake featuring Madonna. Yeah, it totally is. Listen. Featuring Madonna. Weird. A little of both. Also out today, we have Korn with Playlist, the very best of Korn. What else you got? We have brand new Portis head out today. It's called Third. Horror movie from the 80s. Is this dude like a soprano? Even Icelanders are going like, what the hell was that? That sounded so awesome. It sounded like Trent Reznor's doorbell. Somebody's here. So rude. Sounds good.
All right, everybody's been waiting for this one. The brand new one from Def Leppard. Songs from the Sparkle Lounge out today. Favorite sound. What do you think, Eddie? Hey, man, listen. If you sound like a certain way, you're probably going to sound like that. Yeah. Even now, man. Yeah, I guess that's the deal. And I like it. So if you're big fans, they will be performing that song, which is their new one, as well as pour some sugar on me tonight on Dancing with the Stars. I think they should cover the Portishead song. This is the worst. It's so good. It is truly the worst. It's so good. Every time I play it, Sean starts to put mascara on, which is weird. It's a white powder on the face. That's weird. Like the rest of it's totally okay. Yeah, I'm fine with the rest of it. I guess so.
Also, we got Sarah McLachlan with Rarity's B-Sides 2. Is anybody putting anything new out today? Or is it all like... Phil Stacy with his first self-titled album out today. Wait, here's Sarah McLachlan. Is this an old song like a best of or what is this? This is new. Yeah, I believe they're all like covers or like specialty. Like she'll do her songs with... you know, like duets, like she does Angel Live with Emmylou Harris and stuff like that. Okay, and Phil Stacy, he's the guy from American Idol. Oh, shut up. Yeah. Did you guys know, well, Eddie and Sky do, but did you arrest everybody else in the world? Did you realize that Hootie from Hootie and the Blowfish? What's his name? Darius Rucker. Darius Rucker. He's country now. What? Seriously. Yeah, who knew? Nothing else worked. Well, he came in yesterday, and Zeth came in the studio and said, I just saw Darius Rucker. And I said, really? I go, who's he here for? He goes, US 95-7. And I said, that's the Hee Haw station. And he goes, yeah. I go, he's country now? And sure enough, man, about five minutes later,
I guess he still does the old songs, too. Yeah. Because we heard him in there. And I said to Sky and Eddie, I said, $100. And I will crawl up into the crawl space above where he's singing right now. And I'll go. All right, and finally, the last of the new CDs out today. Again, everybody is waiting for this. The return of White Lion with their new album, Return of the Pride. Huh? Get it? Is he like 200 pounds with long hair? Sounds like My Chemical Romance. I mean, it's like everything else new out today, right? And, of course, the album includes a live version of When the Children Cry.
One can go pick that up today. All right. Only he's a little older now, so it sounds different. Yeah. When the children cry. You're making me cry. No. All right. New DVDs out today? Yeah. Yeah. Come on, Sky. 27 dresses. Okay. Katherine Heigl, Ashley? Sure. Yeah, I know. I'll get it. All right. I know I didn't get the greatest reviews, did it? Why was she so excited to tell us that? I don't know. It's the big one. That one's a girl movie, Eddie. Okay. Also out today, The Golden Compass. Oh, The Golden Compass. Zach, there you go. Okay.
We also have The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. Okay. Remember, Rainn Wilson said that was his favorite movie of the year when we interviewed him. Remember, the dude who has the stroke and then can only communicate through blinking. That's true. It was nominated for an Academy Award. Anybody? I forgot. That sounds good. 27 blinks. Two hours of a guy blinking. That's good. And then TV shows to DVD. Yeah. Those are the movies. What the heck? That's three movies. That's it? That's three movies. TV shows to DVD, Cheers, The Ninth Season, and Beverly Hills, 90210, The Fourth Season. That's it? All right. Let's do it up. We're going to do P1 Trivia. Tell him he's not allowed to throw it at me. What's happening? Eddie is... I'm not doing anything. He's making a paper airplane out of that piece of paper, and he's going to throw it at someone. It doesn't mean he's going to throw it at anybody. He's going to throw it at someone, and you may make him stop, because that's not allowed. You don't know that he's going to do that. I think you're jumping to conclusions. Eddie! That's a stealth bomber. All you need to do is call us right now, 570-1053. Call us at 570-1053.
And if you want to play P1 trivia, what we need is somebody that has listened to the show for a pretty good length of time. And here's the goal. You've got to get to five points. We've got one, two, and three-point questions. I'm watching my back, dude. It will not be as difficult as it sounds. Ones are easy, threes are hard, and your first person to five points wins. P1 left. Is that right? P1 left? He left. I think he left. Are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Is it P1 Left? Yep, Left. L-E-F-F. Oh, Left. Yeah. All right, Left. How old are you? I'm 20. 20 years old? Yeah, I just turned 20 last week. How long have you been listening? For a year. One year? Yeah. How well do you think you know the show? Pretty well. I always do a little P1 trivia with you guys listening to the radio, and I do pretty well. Okay. Yeah. All right, let's see. And then over here we have P1 JoJo.
Jojo, are you there? Hello, Jojo. That's a good question, Skye. That is a question I do not have an answer for. That is a far out question. P1 Left, we need to get you somebody that will play against you. If you call in for P1 Trivia, the winner gets to come into the studio on Friday and hang out the entire show long. Hang out in the studio with us. We get you breakfast, you get a little backstage pass. Yeah, it's Fundy Friday. It's pretty awesome. And, you know, the idea is that you just go around that whole day, you just go, happy Friday. Sometimes Ashley bakes a little something for the people who come in. That's true. Sorry. That is true. Wow, Eddie, you can tell they're looking at her face on that one. She did not care for that. That one left a mark. Get over yourself, Eddie, okay? Go bake your feet. Go bake your feet. We got JoJo back. We got JoJo back. We got JoJo back.
You made your stupid face right off. Jojo, are you there? Hello? Hi. Wow. Oh, hi. Wow. Jojo. Does that bank work? Wow. We haven't used that bank today. Jojo? Hello? Oh, hi. Oh, there it is. Wow. Oh, hi. You're so teeny. Jojo? Yes. How old are you? I'm 21. All right. Wow. Rob, can you try to fix, you know, tell somebody or let somebody know that that bank over there is not working. That one's not working. I go into the bank. Oh, my. Yeah, I have to go in there personally. Jojo, how old are you again? 21. Okay. And how long have you been listening? Since 2004, so almost four years. Wow. Wow. Four years left. You're in for it. I'm ready, though. It's going to be tough. Okay.
We are going to start with P1 JoJo. And JoJo, what do you want? A one, two, or three-point question? Let's start with a two. A two-pointer. Good strategy. Your two-point question is, where did Eddie celebrate his birthday? All of his friends on the show. They all went somewhere. Where did they go? I'd tell you if I didn't black out. Honeymoon was in Tahoe. No. Oh, no. That was his bachelor party. That was his bachelor party. That is correct. I'm totally guessing. I don't know. Las Vegas? That is incorrect. That is incorrect, JoJo. He's celebrated at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. Oh, my God. What up? What up? We now go over to P1 Left. What do you want? A one, two, or three-pointer, Left? Give me a two, Mike. You got it. Your two-point question is, what is the name of the parody song about Sky to the tune of Dancing Queen? Drama Queen. You got it. And the P1 Jojo. Let's go for another two. You got it. Come on, Mama. Your two-point question is, what is Mikey's favorite vacation spot? Maui. That is correct. We have a tied game. Uh-oh.
Pull. P1 left. Would you like a two-pointer, a one-pointer, or do you want to end it with a three? Give me a three, Mark. You got it. Crazy. What was Sean and his wife's safe word that has been adopted by the show? Oh, my goodness. It was some weird thing. Definitely weird. Definitely like the weirdest thing ever. It's like pretty much the strangest thing I've ever heard. It's not creepy time is not the safe word. Is it Celtico? It is not Celtico. Oh, sweet. Was it sweet? Oh, that's so cute. No, that's what he calls his wife, though. He calls her sweet. That's her name. Sweet. He calls her Sweeney Todd. Sweeney Todd. He says, hey, Sweeney Todd. No, I do not. Sean's safe word is Halloween. All right, P1 JoJo, you can end the game with a three-pointer or...
You can play it safe with a two or a one. Let's go for a three. You got it. Your three-point question is... This is a tough question. Your three-point question is... What did Eddie have thrown at him when he worked in a fast food restaurant as a teen? When he worked at McDonald's? Yeah. Let's talk about it. Can't believe you brought that up, Mike. What did Eddie have thrown at him when he worked at a fast food restaurant as a teen? I'd beat his ass now. All right. Okay, Eddie. It wasn't even my fault. Okay, Eddie. It wasn't. I didn't bag it. I didn't bag it. I was working at the dry food. Hey, you're giving away hints. Stop it. P1 JoJo, what did Eddie have thrown at him when he worked at a fast food restaurant as a teen? I'm going to go with a Big Mac. Oh. It's incorrect. I wish that would have been less degrading. Yeah. It would have? Yeah. Eddie had fries thrown at him. Yeah. Right in his face. I didn't do it. I didn't do it, Mike. Terrible guy. Terrible, awful person. Jerk. We know. You didn't bag the order. I didn't. It's not your fault. I didn't. You didn't bag the order. He rushed out, bro. He threw him at me. The guy was a big jerk. It was. It's not your fault. It's hard. And to this day, he doesn't mind if people throw food at him. That is not true. Opposite. It is the opposite of that. Yes.
He does not like it. P1, Lef. Sean. My mistake. What are you going to do, Lef? Give me another three. You got it. Three-point question is, what kind of stuffing does Mikey's mother-in-law always bring to Thanksgiving? Panties are hard. Yeah, that one is hard. That one's easy. It's easy? Yep. What kind of stuffing? Ashley likes it, too. It is delicious. I have no clue. I'm sorry, but that is an incorrect answer. The answer is oyster stuffing. Ashley's oyster. Yeah, our girl oyster over there loves it, too. My name is an oyster. I like the stuffing. Only around Thanksgiving time, you're oyster. That's right. During the month of November, Ashley is called oyster. That's true. Just because I like it. P1 JoJo, you want to try to end it with a three, or are you going to place it?
You want to try to end it with a three? Wow, every three-pointer you guys have gotten wrong. Oh, that's nice and encouraging. What happened to, come on, mama? Come on, oyster feet. That obviously didn't work, so maybe... Here is your three-point question. Mikey was left alone at a movie theater in Fashion Valley when he was 12 years old. What movie did he see three times that day? Oh, man. Will we accept? Jaws. Jaws 2. Keep going. Jaws 3. It was Jaws 3D. Which is 3. I'll let you both come in. I'll let you both come in. Hang on the line. That was a great question. Yeah, I mean, it must be great.
You liked it that much, huh? No, but three times, Eddie. I saw it too at a theater. How old were you? Just one time. No, it wasn't that I liked it. I actually saw it. Yeah, it seems kind of foolish if you didn't like it that much. Well, I saw it three times because I didn't have a choice. You know, my folks dropped me off at the movie theater. Why don't you take your car home? Well, I couldn't do that, Eddie. I was only 12 years old at the time. I didn't drive. They forgot about it? Did you take a cab? No, I didn't have any money. I was just a child. I was only 12. Something else planned? Well, you know, nothing else that I could get into without the, you know, the accompaniment of a legal adult, you know, because I was only 12. You know, I could only get into movies that children... Why don't you just call them on your cell phone, then? Yeah. That's a good question. That's a good question.
But you guys know that cell phones were not invented at this time. It was before the days of cell phones, and so I just... Oh, darn. Well, maybe they did it on purpose, because they thought you really liked the movie. Be honest with you, Ash, they didn't have a clue what movie I was seeing. They just... They didn't know what I was... They actually didn't know. They dropped me off at a porn theater. Wow. That is... Sticky floor. Yes. Oh, darn. Oh, darn. Do you know that Cher just told Oprah she dated Tom Cruise when he was 20? It's a true story. It's a true story. I know. I can't believe it. Yeah. It's gross. She told Oprah that back in the day when Tom Cruise was new in the biz, he was 20 years old. She was 36 at the time that they dated. And she was disappointed when he broke it off after he landed the role in the movie The Color of Money.
And she talks about how he was really shy and stuff. Wait a second. What's up? He was older than 20 in the color of money. Was he? Yeah. How old do you think he was? She said it was 1986 when that went down. I'm going to have to look into this. I'm going to have to look into this. She said it was 1986 when they broke up. Oh, my gosh. She said it could have, this is a quote from Cher, it could have been a great big romance because I was crazy for him. Meh. Yeah, they're in love, see? Mm-hmm. They got color of money. She said she was in love with him, and it was amazing. Yeah, love. He broke it off. In 1986, Tom Cruise would have been 24 years old. Yeah, 24. She's a liar. She's a liar. I'm sorry. She's a liar. That's just what was right here. I know. I'm not saying you're a liar. I'm saying she's a liar. Stop, Eddie. Wait to call Cher out. Way to stand up to Cher, Eddie. Yeah. I don't need that old bag lion. Don't take that. Don't take it. Poor Tom Cruise. Why do you lie, liar? Amy Poehler is pregnant. Yeah. Wait. She's actually going to be a baby mama. It's a movie, guys. No, it's real. She really is pregnant. To promote the movie? Yes. I guess so. It really gets into her work. You know, she's married to Will Arnett. They've been married since 2003. Yep, Job. And she's due in the late fall.
Paris Hilton and her boyfriend Benji, which is, Benji's a dog, right? That's a... Well, it's a man's name, but also a dog, yeah. They're being investigated for hit and run. What? No way. Yeah, I guess there's a video of the other night, them basically running over the foot of a paparazzi. And he's like, on the video, you can see he's screaming when they run over the foot, and then he... Pans down to his foot and you see the tire mark on his shoe. And so he filed a police report about it and, you know, gave him the video. And so the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed they are investigating. See, that irritates me because I go, well, you know, maybe if you paparazzi weren't shoved up against people's cars when they're trying to drive, you wouldn't get your feet run over. You know, and I was kind of waiting. I knew that that was going to happen eventually. And I'm like, well. Like, what are people supposed to do? And it's like, what are they supposed to do? Stop and go back to the scene of, like, massive people just, like, flashing photographers, you know? And, like, oh, let's get an organized report. How do you know that you've hit somebody's foot? You're in a 4,000-pound car. How do you even know? That's a great point, too. And there's, like, 30 people around your car. Yeah. Ugh. Ridiculous. Who's Nick Cannon? Who is it?
Singer, songwriter. He's actually from San Diego. And he has a show on MTV. He does? He's an actor. He's also an actor. He originally was on Nickelodeon. White guy, black guy? Black guy. Drumline, dude. Oh, of course, from Drumline. Yeah, you know, your favorite movie. Yeah, yeah. So, anyway, he had a strange response when they asked him if he was engaged to Mariah Carey. Mariah? Yeah, it's pretty well known that him and Mariah are a couple. She's 39. He's 27. And she was photographed this weekend wearing a big fat diamond ring on her engagement finger, ring finger, whatever you call that thing. And so he was on MTV and they asked him about it. And he kind of gave a little nervous chuckle and then said, quote, rumors happen. They do. She's a great person. She's probably the most festive, remarkable person I've ever met.
So that was his answer. So we still don't know if they're engaged or not. She's festive. Well, she's festive. Britney Spears is going to do another episode of How I Met Your Mother. And the houseboat from Sleepless in Seattle is up for sale. I want it so bad. No way. I didn't know there was a houseboat. Have you seen the movie? I have not. That's where Tom Hanks and his kid live. That's where he calls in. Yeah, it's right there on the water. There's a dock. Yeah, so it's a four-bedroom, two-bath with views of downtown Seattle. It's on Lake Union. It's 2,000 square feet, and it's on the market for $2.5 million. Oh, wow. That is certainly a lot of money. Christian De La Fuente was hurt on Dancing with the Stars last night. Or was he? Eddie? Uh-oh. What do you mean, Eddie? Well, watching the episode, he was screwing up his dance. And then all of a sudden had an arm injury. Oh, really? So I call shenanigans. Yeah, so there's talk about it being a pulled muscle, maybe a cramped muscle in his arm. His partner, Cheryl Burke, told People Magazine that she's very worried because they were dancing. She fell into his arms, and then she heard something crack. And there's now, you know, people are speculating that he may not return to Dancing with the Stars.
He wasn't going to win anyways. Christy Yamaguchi is going to win, so that's a point. Shouldn't have a good night last night. Whatever, dude. She's a pro. Sky has a list of the top cosmetic surgeries for men. You guys want to guess or what? Or do you want me to just tell you? Facelift. Goatee implant. For men? For men. Cache implant. Oh, I bet you're right. No. Nose job. Nose job is number one with 74,000 men getting a nose job last year. Oh, I would like one of those. Ear job. If you have to get your deviated septum worked on, will you have them do that? Can they do that? Well, I don't know. That's what everybody says. Well, you know, I had to get my deviated septum. You know what I bet they do? I bet they get hook up like the two doctors hook up. Like the doctor that would do deviated septum. It coordinates with a plastic surgeon, and while they're doing it, their schedules, because I've heard of that. Yeah, definitely. Something similar to that. Yeah. Maybe he's going to break the cycle. You guys don't know. Totally. Dude, you know, the NFL, they got to get a program where they're like, listen, we have kids like this, because they're kids. When we have kids like this coming into the NFL, we got to like have a program that teaches them stuff. You'd give that kid 12 million bucks. That's bad. It's almost like irresponsible of the league. Well, apparently, you know, the mom is recovering. Good. And his sister, who I guess is a good person, is going to move out to Oakland with him. Okay. Try and take care of him. Wisconsin parents who prayed as their daughter died are going to be charged with second-degree reckless homicide because she died. They didn't get her any medical attention. They were praying about it. Yeah, the parents believe that the Bible, which says that healing comes from God, that you can heal through prayer, and so they prayed and prayed and prayed. Yeah, but God made doctors. Yeah, God made doctors, and he made them smart to come up with medicine. What was wrong with her? She had diabetes, so basically she had too little insulin in her body and went into a coma and died. That sucks. So yeah, each parent can face up to 25 years in prison if convicted. U.S. homes facing foreclosure more than doubled in the first quarter from a year ago.
Ouch. Yeah, you know, so that counts everybody, you know, who just got their first foreclosure notice all the way through people who are, you know. You hear that so much, man. In the process. The hardest hit states for foreclosure right now are Nevada, Florida, and California. California bill is proposing smoke-free properties. Yeah, so that means that if the owner of an apartment building chooses, if it passes, if, you know, an owner of an apartment building or you rent a home, that if they deem it a smoke-free property, that the people who rent there will not be allowed to smoke in their apartment. Really? Yeah. They say if it does pass, basically, you can, if you're a smoker and say you live in an apartment and the guy decides that he wants to make it smoke-free, he cannot make that change until your lease is up. He has to honor your current lease and let you smoke through your current lease. But once that lease is up, then too bad. And obviously the smokers aren't very happy about that idea. Skye can tell us about those rebate checks that went out to everybody. Yeah. She can tell us because a bunch of them went out yesterday.
So she has the schedule of, like, who's next, and isn't it based on your Social Security? Yeah, it's based on the last two numbers of your Social Security number. The first direct deposits went out yesterday. The first paper checks will go out on May the 9th. So the people who got their money direct deposit yesterday are the digits 00 through 20, the last digits of your number. Rob, did you get anything? No, I'm... What's the next one? My social is. Well, yeah, my social is 449. I should be the next one. The next one is 21 through 75. We'll get their deposit on May the 9th. And then as far as the paper checks go, the first paper checks will go out, like I said, on May the 9th, and those will go to 00 through 09. Sweet. Yeah. And you can go on the IRS website and find the full list of when every check is going out. Four more cases of HEP-A are linked to that Chipotle in La Mesa. HEP-A! It's becoming hip, Mike. I guess it's the big thing. It's all the rage right now. Yep. So, you know, now there's 18 cases. If they say you ate at the Chipotle on Fletcher Parkway in La Mesa between March 1st and April 22nd, and if you're having any weird symptoms, make sure to see your doctor.
This is scary, man. Five fires in San Diego County in the last two days. They're predicting a worse fire season than a year ago. Oh, don't say that. Last year was the year, man. No, no, no. That's terrible. Yeah, yesterday we had fires in Valley Center, Sam Pasquale, and Camp Pendleton, and on Sunday there was a fire in Ramona and Sereno Valley. You know, luckily they were small brush fires that the fire department was able to get under control, but they say that the weather we're having right now, you don't see that kind of weather until like August or September, you know, and we had those huge fires in October. So they're saying, you know, this could be bad, but everybody be very careful. Yeah. All right, 570-1053 is our number. If I didn't know anything about it, but I made the amount to qualify, are we still going to get that in the mail no matter what? Yeah, you don't have to, like, check a special box or anything. Like, you don't have to do anything. As long as you qualify, as long as your salary falls within the range, as long as you filed your taxes, you're getting the check. Sweet. All right, man, that's about it. Yep, thanks. Mikey Show. Hi, Mikey. It's P1 Bubba S. What's up? Hey, I was wondering why you guys don't have a surf report on all day. You mean, like, in the morning? I wanted to ask the guy, like, what time, like, because I know guys like to surf early. Yeah. It might even be before, so. Because don't think about there, like, five. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I wouldn't mind doing a surf report if we have somebody that, you know. We could do a surf report because I know a lot of people do it. Dude, let me call Chad. Yeah, dude. Let's see what's up. Yeah, dude. Scott Chandler, dude. What's up? Yeah, dude. Yeah. Ankle slappers, bro. Mikey Show. Hey, what's up, man? This is P1LC. What's up? Hey, I had a quick question. What was the name of that comedian that does all the impersonations? The last name was Gas. I forgot his first name. Craig Gas. Craig Gas. Do you know when he's going to be in San Diego again? I don't know. Ash, get him on the phone. Okay.

Yeah, you can see us tasting the stuff. Delicious. Well, most of us. Yeah. Well, everybody, but. Well, there was one person that did. Particular person. There was one person that opted out. That person sounds awesome. No. This guy's like, that person sounds really pretty. Yep, very attractive. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. What's happening, guys? It's P1 Buckley. What's up, Buckley? What's up? Hey, I wanted to tell Ashley to stop worrying about her feet because I know one beautiful woman that really had nice feet. Yeah? It was Terry Schiavo. Oh, that's just terrible. I think, Ashley, I am that too. Ladies and gentlemen.
Lovely and talented Missy is coming up next. Today on the Nooners, she's got the all-request lunch, so make sure you tune in. See you tomorrow morning at 5.30.
