The show kicked off with Mikey noting Jimmy Fallon’s upcoming takeover of Conan O’Brien’s slot and the Padres’ heavy loss to the Cubs. After introducing the on‑air team, Mikey endured a comedic haircut mishap when his barber was constantly on the phone, resulting in an undesirably short cut. Later, an NPR reporter described the China earthquake live while the hosts debated magnitude scales, grocery‑store secrets, Sue Simmons’ on‑air profanity, Scott Weiland’s jail stint, and a contest to win Metallica tickets by submitting a ‘hero’ story.
What happened, in order
Fallon & Padres
Mikey opens the show joking about Jimmy Fallon replacing Conan O'Brien and laments the Padres' 12-3 loss to the Cubs.
Meet the Crew
The hosts introduce themselves: Mikey (37), Eddie (35), Skye (30), Shawnee O'Boy (38), Ashley (24), Boston Rob (25), and info guy Zethian Oates III (23).
Haircut Horror
Mikey visits a barber who spends more time on the phone than cutting, leaving him with an unwanted, overly short David Beckham-style haircut.
Quake Report
NPR reporter Melissa Block describes feeling the 7.9 China earthquake live, while the hosts explain how a tenth‑point magnitude increase equals ten times more energy.
Grocery Tip
Caller P1 Skills reveals that Albertsons drops ground beef to 99¢ a pound at 9 a.m. and Vaughn’s cuts up French bread upon request.
Sue Simmons Slip
The show plays the audio of WNBC’s Sue Simmons uttering an on‑air F‑bomb, followed by her apology and a discussion of the incident.
Weiland & Metallica
Scott Weiland checks himself into jail for a DUI, and the hosts promote a benefit concert featuring Metallica with $200 tickets and a meet‑and‑greet giveaway.
Hero of the Day
Listeners are invited to nominate a hero via MikeyShow.com keyword ‘hero’ to win a pair of Metallica tickets and a backstage meet‑and‑greet.

brings in all these goodies and keeps trying to force me to eat them. We have honey buns. We have donut holes. Honey buns. I don't need this. That's pressure. They are delicious, Skye. They are, Mike. They are delicious. They're so good. Once it hits your lips, it's so good, you know, and you just can't. Skye, doesn't your hubby try to fatten you up, too? Yes. Everybody in your life tries to fatten you up. Everyone. Big in the front, big in the back. We like you a certain way. That's how you look good. You all are successful. Seating. Back off. You look good. Okay. Please. Welcome to the program. It's a Mikey show, and we'd love to hear from you. It is 6-0-4. NBC officially announced yesterday that Jimmy Fallon will be Conan O'Brien's replacement. Well, you know, the Padres, they brought in all their momentum from their two-game winning streak into Chicago and got crushed by the Cubs 12-3.
They just, they can't get that thing together. Oh, man. If you only knew the moves that they're making right now. What do you mean? What, what, what? Well, over the weekend, they released Jim Edmonds. You mean the big signing? Their big signing. Their big free agent signing that they had in the offseason. And, like, the people that they're bringing up, you know, they wouldn't even be on any team's roster. Like, I don't even know if they'd be on any team's. Triple-A roster. Oh, my gosh. Like, it's crazy, man. I don't know what they're doing. Really? It's really bizarre. That blows. That blows. I guess that's what happens when you have the worst record in baseball. Oh, no. You see what they're showing on TV right now? On 739, stolen ATM found in Claremont. What a weird story. Somebody stole an ATM. This is at Balboa and Genesee Avenue, and they dragged it, apparently.
As far as Mount Abernathy at Genesee in front of a smog station, that's what you're looking at right now. They dumped and left the ATM machine, and then they just drove off. Not sure if they were able to get into it or not. It's hard to tell by those pictures if it was open. A lot of times in these cases, imagine these goofballs trying to get into it like a piggy bank. Oh, man. Welcome to the program. It's a Mikey show. Yeah, give us a call. 570-1053. Text us 35253. Quickly, I'm Mikey. I host the show. I'm 37. Eddie's our producer and sports guy. He's 35. Sky's our news girl. She's 30. Shawnee O'Boy's our sound effects guy. He's 38. Ashley is our assistant producer. She's 24. Let's see. Boston Rob. He is our phone screener, singer, songwriter. And he is 25 years old. He's also engaged. And Roosevelt, Zethian Oates III, Esquire Jr.
23 years of age, youngest guy on the show, and sits over in the corner behind me in a school desk. Lots of things to go through. And I am in a smaller, one size smaller down of pants today. Oh, wow. Now, this happened because I had two people say to me, you know, this guy that I know named Jason said, he doesn't. He doesn't have the BTMF, the brain to mouth filter. He thinks that he says it. And he goes, you got to get some new pants, dog. Because those are, those are too baggy. And I go, well, yeah, but that's kind of the style. He goes, yeah, but not the way, not like that. They're supposed to be like baggy, but not like frumpy. And then Lou Bush, same thing. He goes, dude, dude, your pants are too big, dude. And I go, I go style himself. And I go, oh, thanks. And he goes, no, no, they're like too big. And I go, but Lou, they're supposed to. That's like the style. No, dude, I know. But those are too big, man. Look, look. He's like showing me where they're too big. So how are they feeling today? I guess I think probably better. You know, they.
They fit a little bit better. But I'm so confused about now like the look of them and the style of them and the whole deal. Just because I'm not used to it. Your wife will hook you up. She knows what's up. Yeah. She'll get me all dialed in. Somebody got a haircut. Yes, somebody did. Who did? Rob? No. Eddie got a haircut. Really? A dramatic haircut. Look at that. I actually have a new way of doing this because what happens is that everybody on the show sends me an email each day that tells me what's happening in their life that I can go to throughout the show. It's just one of many pieces of information that I have to go out throughout the show. And what I realized was it's actually much funnier when you read it. You know, and then hear the story. Like the two together are great because when you read the words combined with the story, I think it's more effective. What are the words? Eddie writes, my adventures in haircuts continue. Went back to my old guy and he decided to give me a David Beckham haircut without asking for it. Maybe the shortest haircut I've ever had. It was your old guy, so you must have walked in stoked. Yeah.
So I decide, first of all, I'd like a disclaimer out. Please do not call or email me with haircut places. I am not driving to IB for a haircut. Thank you. Thank you, though. I appreciate it. And good night. People do that, man. Dude, I had a guy at Sticker Stop give me a card to his barber in IB. And I'm like, that was very nice of you, dude. I'm not driving to IB to get a haircut. It costs me more than gas. Dude, this chicken Marietta is like, I'm telling you, you won't, you'll love it. I got a girl in Solana Beach that you wouldn't love. That's just five minutes from my house. I'm not going to do it. Here it goes. Okay. So I decide I need a haircut yesterday and I'm tired of all my shenanigans. I'm going to go back to my dude. The reason why I don't go to this guy all the time is because I don't know when he works. And when he doesn't work. These ladies work there and they bring their kids in and they run around and it makes me really uncomfortable. Yeah. I don't like it. And so I walk in yesterday and it's this little Asian dude and he's there. And I'm like, yes. Nobody in there. I'm like, this is perfect. Nice. Jackpot. Yeah. And so I sit down and he asked me how I want it done. You know, he's cut it like three or four times. And so I figure, you know, I'd give him the spiel that I tell everybody. And, you know, oh, no problem. No problem. So starts cutting it.
Phone rings. He answers it. I don't know what language he's speaking, but he's talking forever on this phone. But it doesn't bother me because I'm like, I'm going to get a good haircut, so I don't care. Nobody's in there. Hangs up the phone. Back to work. Blah, blah, blah. Phone rings again. Starts talking on the phone again. Very distracting. Comes over. Starts doing some stuff on my hair while on the phone. Puts the phone down. Finishes up. Like two seconds. And I'm like. You're done? Like, he spent more time on the phone than he did on my haircut. And I'm like, this is crazy. And so he hands me the mirror. I look. He just basically took clippers and went. And didn't do anything how I asked him to do it. And I'm like, holy cow. Like, I have a David Beckham haircut now. This is crazy. I don't want this. I don't want this. This is not what I asked for. Did you say anything? I looked. He goes, is it too short? Yes. And he goes, oh, it's okay, it's okay. It's okay. Okay, thank you. You live. You like it, you like it. Oh, wow. You love it. I don't, I don't love it. It's too short. No, no, best haircut you ever had. I don't even, I don't even, can't even comb it. Like, I don't, I tried to comb it this morning. It just goes, it's. This is your favorite time in here. No, I don't. This is your best one. Best one. Like, I didn't like it. Best one. Stop it. I don't like it. Well, if it's any consolation.
I think it looks really nice. It looks good. It's handsome. Look at this. Dude, I think you look really handsome. Skye, what do you think? I don't know. I have a hard time with change. Well, it's different. She has a hard time with change. I have a hard time with change, and I expect to see my Eddie the way I see my Eddie. She likes her Eddie the way she likes her Eddie. But it doesn't look bad by any means. It's just, it is different. So you think it looks handsome? It's crazy. It's dramatic. Come on, sure again. Come on, look. You don't think that's handsome? I think it looks not. Well, he has a look on his face, though. It's ruining the, you know, handsomeness of the haircut. Strapping. What do you think, Ash? I think it looks good. Yeah. Too short. Too short. Then, you know, I got sunburned out at the... And you could, like, see the sunburn on my scalp in certain spots, and I'm like, oh, that's attractive. Oh, man. Brutal. 570-1053 is our phone number. Beginning and end of every show, we take your phone calls. So you can call us about anything you want to. Well, this went well. Thank you. I'm growing the mullet bag. Let's see. There is a lot of stuff going on, man. I'm looking at the news. A little bit later on, I'm going to have an audio clip of a reporter from NPR. That's our national public radio. She's a reporter from NPR who is reporting.
She's reporting, and while she's in the midst of reporting, the earthquake in China happens. She's in China. Shut up. She's in China, and they have upgraded this earthquake one-tenth of a point. Now, you've got to understand something with earthquakes. When an earthquake goes up by a point, it's not really a point. It's actually times ten. So if you're talking about a six-pointer and a seven-pointer, It doesn't mean like, oh, it's a little bit bigger. It doesn't mean that. It means it's 10 times bigger because it's a tenth of a point as you go up. And they were a tenth of a point off, which, trust me, is a big deal. What did they say originally, Skye? I believe they said it was a 7.8 was what was being reported yesterday morning. And then by the news last night, they said it was a 7.9 actually. And that's a big deal. Let me tell you something. With an earthquake, those tiny bits. They're big, man. They're really big. That's crazy. Almost an eight-point earthquake. Dude. I don't think I've ever heard of that. Well, you hear about it in, like, the ocean and stuff like that, you know, but not on land, man. That's scary. Yeah, imagine the ocean, okay? It's just calm as glass and you're out there floating.
Oh, dude, no. I don't want this. It's early. I wonder what those eight-pointers hits, you know? No, no. You hear it. Okay, all right. Thank you, Mike. You hear it. Oh, thank you. I don't know why the call motion is much creepier to me. What's going on with this guy right here? What's up with this little boy? This little boy. What's going on with this little critter? This dark rascal over here. It's called the computer screen. Ah, there she is. Now she's turned on. She's like, hey, good morning. How you doing? Good morning. Good morning, San Diego. Good morning. P1 Skills is on the line. Hey, guys, I'm wondering what kind of secrets about stores you know. I'm talking about last night I was at Albertsons, and at 9 o'clock, all the ground beef at the butcher goes to 99 cents a pound. Yeah, and at Vaughn's, when you buy the French bread, they'll cut it all up for you in nice little pieces. You know, kind of like the In-N-Out secrets, how you can get animal style and stuff like that. Right. I didn't know that. Yeah, bro. One more time. So you go to the grocery store. Uh-huh. At what time? At about 9 o'clock for Albertsons. 9 o'clock at Albertsons. That's when they're packing up all the meat from the day. Okay. Steaks and everything. And the lean ground beef is only 99 cents a pound. Dude. Did you ask them? They do that at every Albertsons? Yeah.
Really? Dude. I love that. Skye's going to be there every day. That's right. I'm coming here all tired. Skye, where are you? Yes. What else is advanced, too? If you buy the big pack of ham and stuff like that. Hey, Skye. Careful. Look at that. If you get the ham at 11 o'clock at night. Talk about it. They'll cut all that up for you. Speak on it. Get me a cot. A cot and a ham ivy. Alright, thank you for the call, man. I did not know that. I did not know that. Let's see. Oh, they were just showing up on the TV screen. They were showing a map of the United States and talking about this earthquake in China. Basically, the aftershocks and the wavelength of the earthquake went... The entire length of the United States, if you were to put it in perspective. Oh, my gosh. Holy crap. Imagine how big, you know. So if, like, there was an earthquake in Nebraska, we would have felt it. Yeah. Oh, that's weird. Wow. How crazy is that, man? That's a big earthquake. P1 Mike. Hey, what's up? What's up, dude? Yo, I also heard that in Myanmar or Burma, another country near China, 32,000 people.
were injured and killed and need more aid than the people in China. Yeah, well that was from a cyclone. That had nothing to do with the earthquake. Or what? Yeah, that was a cyclone that happened there last week, but it's still a huge tragedy, but it's very, very tough because, you know, it's not an open country. So, like, in the beginning, they were allowing the Red Cross to donate aid, but the Red Cross at first couldn't deliver it themselves. They would just have to give everything over to the government and hope that the government gave it to its people, and there were reports of the government selling the aid that they were getting free to the victims, and the country is just... littered with bodies. It's just really, really sad. The new Rambo movie that was in theaters a few months ago was based in that country. Is that how you pronounce it? Myanmar? Yeah, Myanmar or Burma. It was formerly Burma. Does it trip you out when you hear places you've never heard of it before? You know what I mean? It's like, yeah, you know, I heard about that earthquake over in Saitronzo. And you're like, yeah, dude. Yeah, I think I had a cousin that went hiking there.
Citronzo. Let's see. Hey, Mike. Yeah, yeah. I was just going to add, so for the earthquake in China, I was looking online, and for the amount of energy yielded by 7.9, you would have to have 600 megatons of TNT. Oh, wow. Can you imagine that? 600 megatons. I wonder what the difference is between one ton, And one megaton. I wonder what that is. Zethian Oates. Google me some megatons. Zeth's our info guy, man. He jumps on that internet. Space. I-N-N-E-R-N-E-T-T-E. It's all one word. International web. Yeah, the international web. He gets on the international web. It's really cool because this internet, which we're just finding out about, this thing has... close to a hundred different websites. It almost seems limitless. It's really amazing. I was on there the other day on the music tunes and I was downloading some files. There's literally a hundred choices on there. I didn't even go through them. I know it.
That's crazy. It's hard to even pick, you know. Do they have children's music on there? Yeah, they have children's music. Wow. It's really great. That's crazy. And, you know, with Jake in the house, it's really great to be able to download good quality children's music. Yeah, right. So it's really fantastic. P1 Maui Waui. Yes. What's going on? I just wanted to let you know that I'm taking your advice. We're leaving for Maui on Thursday. taking your advice going to mom's fish house. Oh, you lucky woman. No, say it, Scottie. You just upset a lot of people. I'm so jealous of you. I'm a big time foodie too, so I'm hoping it's good. It shouldn't upset us that someone's going to mom. I should be happy for you. But all I'm thinking is I'm jealous. How can I weasel my way into this woman's life? Wow. That's weird. And I'm thinking like, don't go. Don't go. She's going to love it. I can't, though. I can't go. Someday you will. Oh, stop it. Why are you guys... Stop saying that. Why are you guys... Stop it. Please. I hate to break this to you guys, but... What? In July... Now, be quiet. They don't want to hear it, Eddie. I'm going to Maui. They don't want to hear it. You're a clown. What? In July, I'm going to Maui. You're a horrible...
It's the first time I've ever been. I'm really excited. Well, we're not, okay? Well, we're not excited. But I've never been there before. Whatever. Fine, go. Is there stuff to do there? Go and have a wonderful time. It's so upsetting to me. Oh, it's the greatest place, man. I've heard that. It's so relaxing. Yeah. Oh, my God. It's very relaxing. I'll let you know how it goes. Thank you. I'll tell you all about it. That'd be awesome. P1 Talon is on the line. Hey, guys. I just wanted to put a little perspective on the megaton-ton thing. Yeah. Well, it's used, like, nuclear weapons are measured in megatons and kilotons and things like that. So, like, a megaton is like a million tons of TNT. Oh, man. So, wait a minute. So, say it again, Shawnee. How many megatons? 600 megatons. And one megaton is how many tons? Is one million tons of PNT power. So 600 million. One millions. Yes. Which would be 600 million. That's true. That's how it works out, Mike. 600 million. I can't. My brain can't process it. There's not even a nuclear weapon in the world with that kind of power.
Yeah, like I was looking at the atomic bomb we dropped on Hiroshima. That was 15 kilotons, which is 15,000 tons. This is 600 million tons. Oh, wow. I bet that's big. All right. Thanks, Talon. No problem. 570-1053 is our phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show. It's an open phone segment, so call in about anything you want to. Ashley wrote, ran errands, spent 50 bucks at Vons, 50 bucks at Long's on crap. I don't even know what I got. Donut holes and honey buns, obviously. How dare you? What'd you get at Long's? Sorry. IPT. Oh, hey. We've moved past it, right? Right, Ashley? We've moved past it? Have we? Yeah. We have, right? Yeah. I don't know what that means. That tone is weird. Well, you're still waiting. Going on three months now. I have a feeling I'm just tired. Maybe I'm exercising too much. How did I get it long? They got toilet paper because I was out. Bottle warmer. And I got a box of brownies because they looked good. Oh.
And you know what I thought would go really good with it is raw hot dogs. I don't know. I just had a craving. And, oh, I don't think you want me to tell you. I do. I don't think you do. It'll make Mike uncomfortable. But it was something for me and my honey. Book your baby names. No, yeah, yeah. I don't even know. No way, Jose. What the heck could that be? Eddie. Eddie. Hey, Ashley. We know what it rhymes with. Well, you can IM it to us. Okay. It's some good stuff. I saw a commercial for it. Saw it at Long's. It's on sale. I got it. Oh, my God. It rhymes with V by Deli. Oh. I don't think it rhymes with that. Oh. Oh, maybe. Well, I don't know if that's the brand. I was thinking more that it rhymed with, like, Drew Brick Kent. Oh, my God. You know. It rhymes with soup. But I saw a commercial for it, right? And it looked real good. So I saw it at Long's and I'm like, oh, there it is. His and hers combo pack. Well, what do you want from me? I'm a droob again. Looks fun. I'm like, it's on the commercial. Try to figure that one out, guys. They really talked it up on the commercial. Think about it. Oh, my God. I made the purchase. Oh, my God. Congratulations. Thank you. Oh, my God.
So we'll see you later, folks. So Missy's up next. What am I going to do? Wow. And P1 Matt. Hey, Matt. Hey, Eddie, you're going to Maui in July, right? Yeah. I want to give you a few tips on what not to do. Do not take the road to Hana. Thank you. It's not worth it. Do not take the snorkeling tour. You'll be snorkeling with a bunch of butts in your face. Totally disagree. Disagree with that one. No, just grab some snorkels, fans, and masks and go yourself. You'll have a much better time. I'm with you on the first one, but...
I love the second one. I don't know. Last time I went, I was snorkeling, and I had butts in front of me. Well, yeah, I think it all depends, like, where you go and what boat, if it's a boat that has, like, 200 people on it versus a boat that has 25 people on it. Right, yeah. You're right, but go eat some ham. All right, guys, later. Oh, wow. I don't know my boat. It was like a veiled message. Wow. It happened so fast, you know, it was, like, subliminal. I don't really know. It's not really an insult to her, though. I can't really tell what I heard. P1 Brando. How's it going, guys? Good morning. What's up? Hey, last night I tried to pull a prank on the guys I work with, something from the office. Put a stapler in Jell-O, and I let it gel all night. But the Jell-O wouldn't gel when I pulled it out this morning. I was wondering if you guys had any tips or tricks. It wouldn't gel. Probably, I guess it must have reacted with the stapler, and it wouldn't allow it to gel, right? I guess so, but... What a bummer. Maybe it was the orange Jell-O. Put more gelatin in it. Buy, like, those gelatin packets. And how do I get it then? Wait, wait, wait. Don't even listen to me then. Okay, Brando, could you hear Sean? No. Sean, talk again and let me see if that's working. Hello, hello, testa, one, two, hello, hello. Did he go to Italy? Could you hear him that time, Brando? Yeah, I got that one loud and clear. So what I was saying was go to the baking section of the store, and they have gelatin packets, and just put a bunch of those packets in there.
It'll seize up. Okay, and then how do I get it to stand vertical? That's a good question. I was thinking about that when we were talking, and I was thinking maybe you can position the stapler in the bowl and prop it up with toothpicks in the bowl. That's a good idea. Because what he's saying is he doesn't want to just put the stapler like flat on the bottom of the bowl. He wants the stapler to kind of be at an angle to make it funny, you know? Oh, like in the middle. Like in the middle. Suspend it. Like a little wire or something? Yeah, suspend it with like some fish line or something with something up above it. Oh, that's a good idea. Oh, yeah, that's it right there. Yeah. Like a coat hanger or something above it. Well, you know what, dude? I think Sean had it the first time. Like if you take fish wire and let's say you put the bowl in your fridge, attach the stapler with fish wire to your fridge up above, and it'll be right in the middle, and then all you have to do is snip the little wires on the top of the Jell-O. That's perfect. That's funny. That's so funny. Dude, take a picture of it. I will. I'll email it to you guys. All right, cool. Thanks. All right. Good morning, guys. Oh, man. Pranks are funny. They're awesome. I'll tell you, though. Sue Simmons over at WNBC in New York.
She was not pulling a prank when she dropped the F-bomb last night on a live promo for the evening news. She wasn't joking around. And then she had to later on apologize for the incident. And we do have the audio. Oh, no. I suppose we'll play that when we come back. Our text number is 35253. And our phone number is 5701053. Mikey Show. I'd like to make a suggestion on the jello and the stapler. Yeah, sure. Make half and stick it in and pour the other half in. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. So let it seize up. Seize. So put half, let it seize up. Yep. Stick the stapler on top, then make the other half. You know, whatever the position you want it in. I'm picturing ununiform jello. Right. No, I've done it with a buddy's cell phone. Oh, wow. Awesome. Well, then it's been tried and tested. Nice. Thank you, brother. No problem. Later. I appreciate it. Some of the other big stuff that we're looking at for today is Scott Weiland checking himself into jail. We'll talk about that. There is a very, very big band out there that's going to be doing a small tour in San Diego, and they are calling themselves something different.
So later on in the show, I'll tell you who the band is. And it'll be like, so you want to see this band? This is what they're calling themselves. This is where they'll be. Something else. There's a benefit concert happening up in Los Angeles tomorrow night. And it's this deal that Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers puts on. And it's a pretty cool deal. Well, tickets are $400 a piece. And the reason that they're so expensive is because it's a benefit. So they price it real expensive. Well, Metallica is going to be playing there. It's the Silver Lake Conservatory of Music. That's who it's for. Silver Lake Conservatory of Music. Metallica is going to be playing there. It's a small place. It only fits 2,000 people. We have tickets. No. And we have meet and greet passes to meet Metallica. That's crazy. So they cost $400 apiece for the tickets. Oh, my gosh. Concert is tomorrow night, and we got tickets. And hopefully we'll talk to Lars. Whoa. Trying to get him to call in between now and tomorrow morning. He might call in and say hello.
How are people going to win the tickets? Don't know yet. Okay. I know because the phone lines are starting to blow up. Oh, yeah. We're not just going to. Not Color 10. Yeah, we're not going to say Color 10. We're not just going to right now give them away willy-nilly. Fine. We're not going to do it willy-nilly. But I don't know. We'll figure it out. It's got to be some cool way. Got any ideas? 3-5-2-5-3. 5-7-0-1-0-5-3. That's a good song. The movie scene is... It's an old guy. He's like, I don't know. He's in his young 50s. And he's getting into his convertible Ford Mustang. And he's decided that he's driving to Vegas. It's the end of the work week. You guys got anything different? Mikey, have P1s throw together a Metallica costume and show up to the studio by 8 and the best one wins. What's a Metallica costume? Like maybe the wig, the hair, the dumb leather, the t-shirts, the jeans. I don't know.
These are not bad suggestions. I'll think about them. And then somebody wrote in with a random debate that I would like to explore after listening to the lady from WNBC. WNBC. Her name is Sue Simmons. And this was last night. WNBC New York. It was live television doing a live promo for the evening news. Cut one. 11 pay more at the grocer, but getting less will tell you how to get the most. What are you doing? What the heck? You must have thought she said her line and they killed her mic. And the only thing I make of this is she's probably been doing this a long time. And a thousand times she knows that that mic's off after she says her last thing. She knows it. She's done it a billion times.
And so usually when she starts to talk, it's complete silence. But for whatever reason, dude that controls a mixing board, maybe he spilled coffee or maybe he did something or maybe he just wasn't heads up that second. And so that happened. One more time. Go on. Eleven pay more at the grocer, but getting less will tell you how to get the most. What are you doing? Who do you think she was talking to? Or manager? Oh, man. Camera guy. So she had to apologize later. Cut to. We need to acknowledge an unfortunate mistake that I made. And one of the teases we bring to you before this program, while we were live just after 10 o'clock, I said a word that many people find offensive. I'm truly sorry. It was a mistake on my part. And I sincerely apologize. I was forgiven. Yeah. Wow. Wow. Wow. Now, I know that Sue Simmons is a big deal.
I tell you guys that one of the things I really enjoy doing is watching the East Coast feeds of the news shows because news is so different in New York. When they report outside of the courthouse, it's not like here in San Diego where the reporters are laid back and they go, well, today was the third day in this trial. Their report is more like, today was day three. You'll never believe what happened. It's so funny. It's so funny. Wow. And so I love watching it. And so the Sue Simmons, I know the name now. She's big time. My question is, will they suspend her for that? Or will the apology be enough? Trust me, in New York, that word probably goes over a lot better than it does here. Did they say it was after 10? I don't know. She said something in her apology. Yeah, let's listen again. Cut to. We need to acknowledge an unfortunate mistake that I made and one of the teases we bring to you before this program. While we were live just after 10 o'clock, I said a word that many people find offensive. I'm truly sorry. It was a mistake on my part and I sincerely apologize. I wonder if in New York anybody noticed. Well, she says something. What's she say? So.
What do you think of this? Mikey, me and my buddy are in a random debate. I think a grizzly bear would beat a tiger in a fight. He says no way. Wondering what you think, P1 Stevio. Stevio. A grizzly bear and a tiger. It's easy. That's easy for you? I gotta think. What do you think, Eddie? A grizzly bear would destroy that tiger. Grizzly bear's lumbering and kind of slowed off. He's so strong. Like, if he got a hold of the tiger, good night. Yeah, good luck getting a hold of the tiger. Well, it's true, but I mean, the tiger's gotta get close to attack. He's limber. That's a good one. Grizzly bear, man. What do you think, Skye? Yeah, my first instinct is a grizzly bear because they both, I think, are pretty equal when it comes to the power of their jaw and the teeth, the sharpness of the teeth and the claws. They both have the claws. Size, strength. So I think the grizzly bear just wins due to its size and strength. Yeah, because when you think about it,
They can both do pretty much the same thing with their claws. Right. They both have those crazy, sharp, powerful claws. They're almost equal there. Well, you know, the bear has more fur and more padding to protect it against the claw. Because, I mean, you know, bears fight other bears. Plus, the bear doesn't care where it bites. It'll bite and claw, whatever. Whereas the tiger, they got to go for the neck. That's the way they roll. They go for the neck. And so if it can't get a neck shot in on the grizzly, forget it. How are you going to get up there? It can't get up there. It's like Rob trying to attack you, Eddie. It's just like, what's going on? Get out of here. Get out of here, you little mosquito. Makes it so where the audience goes, I know exactly what you mean now. Rob's tiny, so, okay, I get it. Let's get it. Let's see. A mini-mini. P1 Jackie, I think, is going to give her input on this. Let's see. P1 Jackie, you there? Yeah, I'm here. Go ahead. Hey, guys, I want to one-up the Tiger versus Grizzly discussion. Well, wait a minute. You're not going to change the topic, are you? No, I'm not trying to change the topic, but Kodiak Bear versus Silverback Gorilla.
Well, you're changing the topic. You just changed. You said not going to change the topic, and then you said, well, now what I'll do, Mike, is I'll change the topic. I'm going to lie and then change the topic. Yes, first I'll deceive you. Then I will change the topic. Well, I'm not one for deception, but before you guys drop me for trying to change the topic. Too late. It is too late. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. The topic is grizzly bear versus tiger. Thank you. Grizzly bear versus tiger. Kodiak versus a machine gun. Yes. I don't know. Eddie's talking me into the grizzly bear. Now I think I need a compelling argument for the tiger. I don't think I'm going to get it. P1 Matt, are you there? Matt! Hey, Mikey, what's up? What's up? Hey, haven't you seen the Jungle Book? I have not. Okay, well, the tiger was beaten by fire. It didn't beat the bear. The bear got beat up by Shere Khan. Baloo got beat up by Shere Khan, so the bear lost, but they had to get the tiger away with fire. That's cool. Now I'm going to ask you this. Now let's come out of, you know, child land. Oh, come on. I don't want to get out of child land. No, please. I want to...
All right, fine, fine. All right, you win. Fine, the tiger wins. Thank you. Yeah, see, the tiger would have a lot more stamina. It could run circles around the bear. It could tire the bear out. And it could wait for that one perfect, you know, attack, like you were saying, the neck. Yeah, well, Fatlow says there's no way that a bear could beat a tiger. Are you there, Fatlow? What? Yeah. Go ahead. Hey, Mikey. Mm-hmm. Yeah, there's no way a house cat, I mean, a tiger can beat up a bear. Oh, I thought it was the opposite that you were saying. There's no way a bear can beat it. That was the strangest. He got attacked by a bear, Mike. That was odd. I hope you like that one, Mike. I'm just having a little fun with you, bro. Well, this went well. I don't know what that meant. Let's see. Mikey show. Hello. Yeah, I think a tiger could probably beat a bear down. Why?
Well, if the tiger gets on the bear's back, the bear's going to have a hard time getting him off. It's possible a tiger could win. I'll tell you what. This is what I find interesting about this debate. Every time we talk about the tiger beating the bear, we have to use the word if. But when Eddie was talking about the bear beating the tiger, it's that you don't have to put the ifs in there. You know what the bear will do. Bear's going to do what the bear's going to do. It's like bear grills. He's, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, dude. He's way better. At everybody. He's way better than that guy that Sean likes. Survivor Tiger. Exactly. I don't know about that. Sean and I got into a pretty heated debate about Survivor Man versus Bear Grylls. There is no debate. Man versus, well, there is no debate. One is entertaining, one isn't. Yeah. I go, oh. Oh, yeah, you're talking about that guy who has two cameras? Great. Well, if you're going to compare fiction to reality, I guess. Eddie, did you see Nambia? Did you see the snake? Yeah. Oh, where's Survivor Man doing that? Ripping a head off a snake. Wait, wait, wait. We've got to say exactly how he does this. He didn't rip a head off. He did. This is crazy. Yeah, he did. What I'm about to tell you is crazy. Bear Grylls.
is walking out in the Nambian Desert, and he finds a puff adder. And this puff adder has got to be, I don't know, six feet, seven feet, eight feet long. Is that a snake? It's a snake. One of the most deadly snakes in Africa. It's a very deadly snake. Yeah, it just happened to be there. Wow. This snake. He tells you now when he does stuff like that, Sean. That's right, he does. Okay. So this snake. Shut up. This snake is as thick as a, I would say as thick as a fire hose fully blown up with water in it. Wow. Okay, it's thick. It is really thick. Okay, so he is hungry, and so he says, this is one of the most deadly snakes in all of Africa, but I'm hungry, so this one is going to be lunch. Why am I doing Australian accent? He's not Australian. So he takes a giant rock and he throws it at the head of this puff adder. And then he holds it down with a stick, the head, and it's wriggling. And he takes his knife and he removes the head with the knife. And then he says, the best thing to do is to bury it. Even though I'm not from Australia, that's the best thing to do.
Why is that the best thing to do? It's poison. It's got poison. So the rest of the body is wriggling. And it's thick and big. And he's holding it up. And he says, these things provide great protein. And if you need to, you can eat them. He sticks it in his mouth. Like where the head got cut off. Where the head got cut off raw. And he goes. And he bites it off. And he goes. And my jaw. And I've seen him do stuff. Like I should. No. It comes with a territory. But he still gets me. He still gets me. It's great. It's the best television ever. Oh, gosh. So I say to my wife, who's in the other room, I go, Honey, yeah? Bear Grylls just cut the head off a puff at her and ate it raw. And she goes, like...
very unenthusiastically. Oh, really? And I go, yeah, come watch. She comes in there. I rewind it and I show it to her and her jaw drops open and she goes, in a million years, that's not what I expected I was going to see. Then he takes it and he lights a bunch of hot coals and gets these hot coals burning. And once they're burning, He digs a very shallow little hole, and he takes the snake, guts and all, and he wraps it and coils it into like what you would do with a garden hose. He wraps it into this little shallow hole that he built, and then he buries it with dirt and those hot coals, and he sits down and chills for 30 minutes. And he says, this is what they call a Nambian oven. And then he...
digs the dirt off of it, and he picks it up, and it's like all hard now, but coiled still, and he eats it. He's great. He's great. P1 Oceanside is on the line. Hi, Mikey. How are you doing? Good, man. Hey, what Eddie may not know is that Siberian tigers can reach up over 800 pounds, so they could definitely hold their own against a bear. I don't know, man. Now we have to say it's a Siberian tiger. Yeah. I mean, that's like saying a snake versus a cat, and then you go, well, wait a minute, an anaconda. Well, no. I mean, we said it was a grizzly bear, so we specified the kind of bear. Yeah, grizzly bear. It could be a Siberian tiger. It could be. It's still a wash. It could be a gargantuan tiger. Yippers. You know what I'm saying? You don't know.
Let's see. P1, Corey says he has the answer because they were talking about it on Discovery Channel. Oh, wow. This very debate. Is that right, Corey? Yeah, that's right. How's it going, Mikey? Good, man. Well, basically, I was watching Animal Planner Discovery Channel about a year ago, and they dedicated a half-hour show to what it would be like. They spent the first 20 minutes going over schematics of both animals and stuff like that. Basically, it was an even matchup at first because the tiger's pretty quick, and it was hard for the bear to get a hold of him. But once the bear got his hands on him, the tiger had no chance, basically. Yes. Really? So the bear won. It's science. Bear won. This is the number one rock song in the country right now. This is a rock? It's a rock song from Weezer. Oh, Weezer. It's called Pork and Beans. I love Pork and Beans. That was the first single coincidentally from Lemon Drops and Sandals, wasn't it? Yeah, this is a remake. That's right. I'm going to try to figure out the same dimensions here. Okay, Blunder versus Rob. What do you think? I mean, who would have the advantage if you were... Okay, one more random debate, then we drop it. But 5701053, 35253, men and women, I want everybody participating in this one. What do you think about this?
You're in survival mode, all right? You're in I shouldn't be alive. But the bottom line is that you make it out alive, okay? Which would you choose? I shouldn't be alive hot or I shouldn't be alive cold? Easy. It's easy for me, too. 570-105-335-253 is the number. You have to survive in the scorching hot or the bitterly cold. 570-1053. We'll do that next. And also, when we come back, they announced yesterday who the new replacement for Conan O'Brien is. And this guy said it. It was Jimmy Fallon. They asked him how much he's going to be making. Really? Yep. So we'll do that when we get back. Mikey. Great show, everybody. Great show.

The Indians' Asdrubal Cabrera turns an unassisted triple play. What's the bigger news? What he did or that his name's Asdrubal? P1 Kelly. Yep. Which would you rather be in, the heat or the cold? In the heat instead of the cold, for sure. Of course, he's a woman. I would rather be in the heat instead of the cold. You would? You cannot stand the heat. You hate the heat. Well, Kelly, you explain why and then I'll explain my reasons. Okay, here's why. Because at the end of the day, say you're like dying and you're either dying in the heat or you're dying in the cold. And this is a debate I've had with my friend. He's a Navy diver and he spends all of his time in freezing cold water. Your body, if you are like dying in heat and stuff or in the fire or something, your nerves will all...
burn off and you won't notice the pain anymore. You'll go into shock and you'll be done. But if you're cold, you're going into hypothermia and all that kind of stuff, your body will start to go numb and get tingly and then it will get painful and more and more painful. And the pain doesn't stop until you're dead. You know you're dying and in pain until the moment it's over. So it's way better to be in the... Have you ever been dehydrated before? I have been dehydrated so bad, heat stroke the whole nine yards, and I've been... And that's not painful? It's not pretty cool at all, but you know what? I've been freezing cold so cold that my vocal cords sounded like they were frozen and like I was talking to a computer or something. My voice is so low right now. Well, here's my thoughts on the cold. And you have to take this. Let's discuss. No matter what, we're going to survive it, okay? We're going to survive it. But my thoughts are if I'm in the cold, the chances of losing body parts are high from frostbite. It's turning black. I don't want, and that hurts. I don't want that. I have slept in both very, very cold and very, very hot.
And I don't like the heat for sure. You guys know this. Sean knows better than anybody. But it is easier for me to fall asleep in the heat than it is for me to fall asleep in the cold. And I agree with that lady. Like cold hurts. Hot is uncomfortable to me. I would heat. In a second. No way, man. I'm taking cold in a heartbeat. What do you got? Well, to me, you know, like the cold sucks. No question about it. But I like being cold. I would rather be cold than hot any day. Like I cannot sleep in hot. Like I have to have the air on at all times. Like if it's too hot, I can't sleep. And seeing what happens to your body when you're. You have heat stroke and, you know, you're dehydrated and, you know, the sun is beating down on you and you can't drink. Like, that's the worst to me. The fact that you're too thirsty, you can't drink, and there's nothing to drink in the hot like that, you're done. And with the snow, you could at least, you know, you're not supposed to eat snow, but you can melt it or somehow figure it out. But who says that you can't drink? Well, if you can drink, then you're not going to be dehydrated, and then I'd take the heat. Like, that's too easy.
570-1053-35253 is the text. Sky, what do you got? I definitely would take the heat. You know, I just enjoy the heat in general. Wait a second, though. Stop it. You're prone to sunburns. I'm just saying. Stop it. Well, I'm sure I'd be clothed when, you know, whatever. But with the cold, I see myself giving up. Like if I'm cold and I get myself into a tiny little ball of warmth, I would just stay there. I wouldn't move. I wouldn't try and get help. I would just stay in my warm little ball hoping someone would find me. If there's the heat, at least I would try and find help and then I could rest and then I'd get back up and go again. This text message says, extremely hot, Mike, just like Shani's mom. That's P1 basis. Wow. That came out of nowhere. Well, he's just saying. He's giving an answer to which he would choose. I would definitely take the hot. You chose to read that. Nice. I would definitely take the hot. The thing is, this one says, Mikey, I would choose the hot weather because frostbite cold will take your fingers and toes. I could handle the heat. P1 Chris. Mikey, I'd rather be in the freezing cold than hot. You can always put more clothes on and you can only take so much off.
are you getting clothes from? Yeah, where are you getting all the clothes? There are Nordies right there. Yeah. I mean, listen, if there is a sports chalet, then fine. I'll go get myself a nice sleeping bag, too. Hold on. Hold on. I have a question. Am I prepared for the cold? Like, do I have normal cold weather clothes on? Sure. Okay. I'm all right. You're good? I'm good. I'll make my snow cave, and I'm good. I'll survive for a week. Mikey, this one says, Mikey, cold, you can warm up by moving around, but hot is suffocating, and it's harder to cool down than warm. Mikey, I'll take the bitter cold. You can always build a fire, but not an air conditioner. Signed, P1 Dave Matthews. Everybody's calling in about this. Talk about it. P1 Maverick. Go ahead. Hey, Mikey. P1 Maverick. I was calling in because when you're in the cold and your body's a type of thermic, you just kind of, you go to sleep. It's like, you know, you kind of, your body starts to be cold. That's right. It's called a coma. And then you just pass out. I've been in the extreme heat. And when you're about hot. You can't do anything except be miserable. I gotcha. Thank you for the call. Yep, thank you. Hello, guys. It's me, George Takai. Oh, hi, George Takai. What an honor. Well, I heard you talking about... For those of you that don't know, I used to be on the television show Star Trek. Yes, I played...
Colonel Lieutenant Sulu. Thank you very much, Captain. And I really find this topic interesting. Why is that? Well, it's hard for me. I've always been hot. Oh, yeah. Are you okay? That's all right. No, I was laughing. Sometimes I make myself laugh. That is strange. That's a creepy laugh. That's uncomfortable. Stop doing that. But the answer to the question is cold weather is better. Why? You can snuggle. Okay. That is weird. P1 Dawn is on the line. Dawn, are you there? Yep. So which would you take? I would take the cold because I was born and raised in Buffalo. You can't get any colder than that. That's right. Thank you very much. Thanks. Thank you for the call. So there it is. Let's see. A bunch of other stuff that I wanted to be able to get into. And not only that, but I saw Dr. Phil snaking the toilet in the men's room. I don't know why. I don't know, but he was in there. It wasn't clogged or anything. That's the strangest thing. That is really weird.

That's why you need the optimal formula of Gatorade. Water for hydration, electrolytes to replenish your body, and the right carbohydrates to re-energize your workout. Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Well, if you could avoid the 8 freeway coming out of El Cajon, I would certainly do that. I know it's kind of a hard thing to do. But what a mess this is, man. It started off with one accident here at westbound 8 where a car went off the side of the freeway, overturned back down to Ravina, Waring Road, emergency crews were on the scene. Traffic was backing up a little bit, mainly out of curiosity. Then someone wasn't paying attention, spun out and landed on its top near the college area in that backup. Now the backup's down to Spring Street. And now another accident, someone not paying attention, wipes out. And this is now blocking the fast lane here before the 125. So you've got three accidents, all that started from one accident here backing up. It's backed up now from well before Severin Drive, coming up out of the Cajon Valley, over the Grossmont Summit, bumper to bumper, hardly moving all the way out past college. You'd like to stay away from that area if you possibly could. West 94 on the King Freeway, that's a better way to go. But now that's starting to pick up some traffic because people are using that as an alternate. That's from College Grove Way now to the 805 Freeway. South 15, pretty tough out of Escondido now off to 78th of your Rancho Parkway. Extends over Lake Cogs is now into Carmel Mountain Ranch. And the coaster rides up on top of the 5, staying quite heavy out of Lucadia and Isolana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Casting from the Cricket Wireless Studios.

The people that work at all the other wireless companies and the people that work at Cricket, they all know what it's like to have a cell phone. But for whatever reason, the people that work at the other cell phone companies, they just don't have any sympathy for what they go through. People at Cricket do. That's right, man. They want to save you money. Yeah. They care for you. They know that you want your bill to be the same amount every month.

Yes, a Bohemian dress and dance around with you out there. Sounds like fun. Sky, give the website. It's mycricket.com slash San Diego. The Dave Matthews Band website. Stop it. They got the light.
The number one cerveza light in Mexico is now available here in the United States. To ensure that Tecate Light remains true to its Mexican cerveza roots, we will not refer to Tecate Light as light b****. We feel its Mexican flavor and attitude are much too bold to be referred to as an ordinary light b****. In fact, to our censors, b**** is a four-letter word. They didn't even allow b**** to be mentioned in the same commercial as Tecate Light. Not even to explain the difference between b***h and cerveza. So as you can hear, all references to b***h have been censored for your protection in order to avoid any unintended association between light b***h and Tecate Light Cerveza. Hey, it's Dr. Wayne. How are you guys? What are you, what's going on? I just wanted to let everybody listening know that I am a chiropractor and also a Swedish massage expert. I've actually got my, actually certified as a deep tissue and Swedish masseuse. I don't know why. Why do you need to? I just, I have a question for Seth now that I've got him here on the phone. And it has to do with UFC. Okay. Are you ticklish? I don't see the relevance. That's Leona Lewis. She's all right. Welcome back. It is 727. Scott Weiland checked himself into jail yesterday to start serving his DUI sentence and was released 10 hours later. The Chargers re-signed their long snapper, David Bin, to a four-year extension. He's real good, right? He's definitely one of the best long snappers in the history of the NFL. Oh, my. Longest reigning Charger ever. Is that right? Yep. Welcome back to the show. So before we went to break, I told you that we were going to be coming back and telling you about this Border Patrol agent that fired at a vehicle in Rancho San Diego. When was it, Skye? This happened yesterday. What happened?
Well, basically, I guess, you know how you always talk about how Border Patrol agents, like, do a bunch of stuff. They don't just sit at the border all day. Right. Well, I guess this one Border Patrol agent was assigned to work with a U.S. Marshals Task Force to do surveillance on a home in the area that they believed a fugitive was staying at. Okay. So they were doing surveillance at this house when a car pulled in and it was a stolen Lincoln Navigator. Mm-hmm. And then the car left, and then they went to tail the car and pull the car over. And then when they pulled the car over, the driver then started to back up the car in an aggressive manner towards the agents. They felt their life was being threatened, and they opened fire. The suspects in the car jumped out, or the driver did, and ran and was captured. The investigation took a long time. And this is Agent Jason Rogers from the Border Patrol, cut 53. With any type of investigation, it's going to take time. We want to make sure that there's thorough investigation by all parties involved. Obviously, the Border Patrol wants to make sure that they have an accurate assessment of the area and make sure that they do everything and dot their I's and cross their T's with everything. The same with the Sheriff's Department and any other local law enforcement agencies involved here today.
I just saw Dr. Phil wearing an apron and carrying a feather duster, dusting some of the studio equipment next door. That's weird. And so I don't know what's going on. That's weird. I don't know why he's in the building. We're just glad he is. I'm just glad he's around. It's just nice to see the guy. It's comforting. That's all I can say. We told you we are going to be doing a pretty big deal here on the Mikey Show tomorrow morning in the 7 o'clock hour. We're going to be giving away. tickets to this benefit show that Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers puts on. And basically what it is is a benefit concert called Silver Lake Conservatory of Music. And it's one of these deals where they charge a lot of money to go to the concert. It's $400 per person. Hubba, hubba, hubba. And the reason that they do it is because it's a very small venue in Los Angeles. It's huge bands. Yeah. 2,000 people. That's all they can fit in there. 2,000 people. It's at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. It's tomorrow night. And Metallica is going to be playing. Again, tickets are $400 for one ticket. So if you and a friend want to go, it's going to cost you $800. Well, I mean, at this point, you can't even get the tickets. Are they sold out? Well, they went on sale on Saturday.
No? No, there's still tickets available. Really? Yeah. Shut up. Yes. Oh, because I heard that they were going on sale this weekend. I was like, oh, that's going to sell out in two seconds. No, there's still some tickets. Shut your mouth. Well, here's the deal. Well, anyway, okay, $400. We just got it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. If you got $400 a ticket, okay? So now check this out. We got a couple of tickets. But not only do we have a couple of tickets, we also have meet and greet with Metallica. Oh, my gosh. How'd you like to meet and greet Metallica? So here's the deal. We decided we're going to do kind of a cool contest. We're going to call it the Hero of the Day Contest. And what we invite you to do is go to MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. And why don't we do this? Zeth, why don't we make it a keyword Metallica? Is that easy enough? Some people have a hard time. You better spell it a bunch of different ways. Spell it the right way, but also spell it like you would spell it if you did not spell. Hero? What's that? Hero, would that be easier? Yeah, make a keyword hero. Make a keyword hero, because everybody knows how to spell hero. So it'll be keyword hero. Is that with a Z? Yeah, is that with a T or a Y? Guys. The F is silent. Where do you put the Enya?
Keyword hero. Here's how it's going to work. You go to the website, type in keyword hero, and you're going to see where you can nominate somebody for hero of the day. Now, it could be anything. It could be a friend, a co-worker, a husband, a wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, somebody you know that you just think is really, you know, deserving. We're going to limit you to 100 words. And the reason? Because we know you'll write novels, and we don't need novels. If the story is powerful, it won't take more than 100 words. And if you're saying to yourself, oh, but this is such a beautiful, long story, well, condense it to 100 words. Tomorrow morning in the 7 o'clock hour, we're going to select a winner. Yeah, this is a quick turnaround, people, and you've got to be able to go up to L.A. tomorrow. So don't be nominating somebody if they're not going to be able to use these tickets. That's a very good point, man. You've got to be able to go to Los Angeles tomorrow night. You're going to get a meet and greet with Metallica, and you're also going to be able to see the show. So they're going to meet Metallica. Yeah. Wow. Holy baboza. That's right. So MikeyShow.com, keyword hero. You don't have to have the keyword. You can probably find it there. Sean, are we ready to go with that? Is that on there? Yeah, it's on there. I'm adding some extra text.
explaining the whole event, but it's up there. If you want to enter, you can do it right now. Okay, cool. Yeah, and the keyword's good to go. Okay, keyword hero's good to go. And once you throw out a mass text to the P1 Text Army, Zach. Great idea. Love it. Let everybody know that if you want to know how to see Metallica and meet and greet with Metallica tomorrow night in L.A., that you just go to MikeyShow.com keyword hero. Okay. And the most important thing in that text is to let them know it's tomorrow night in Los Angeles. Cool? Yep. Sweet. Let's see. Oh, I got an email I want to read to you. Yeah. Listen to this, you guys. 570-1053. Mikey, I heard your story yesterday about Lindsay Lohan stealing clothes, and it really bothered me. I have a teenage daughter that's going through a phase where she thinks it's okay to steal things from my closet. I've told her repeatedly not to, and she continues to do it. I don't want to have to lock my room up, but it's getting to that point. I don't understand why these girls think this is okay. Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know. Thanks. Signed, P1 Vicky.
Well, first of all, I've got to tell you, none of us on the show have a teenage daughter. That's true. So we're really not very qualified, but we know somebody that is. Today on Dr. Chris, if you're going to talk to me, you're going to have to be honest. This is going to be a changing day in your life. That crazy kid with the headgear sitting over there. He loves you. He really does love me. Every time I come in here, he just freaks out like that. He's wearing that little white T-shirt with the homemade letters that says Dr. Phil. Yeah, like the L is backwards. Yeah, it's cute. But I'll tell you what, it means so much, folks, to be here. I'm Dr. Phil, and I heard what this email was. Right. And I'm listening to it, and I got to tell you, it reminds me instantly of a classic case I worked on back in the 80s. Oh, really? Yeah, they made a movie out of it called...
Can't buy me love. Wait. See, the girl borrowed a mother's jacket and had wine spilled on it. Now, she couldn't afford to buy a new one. It was suede. That's right. That's right. It was suede. Cindy Mancini. You know Scott, right? Yeah, she drove a little white cabriolet. That's right. So she took money from Patrick Dempsey. Yeah, Ronald. Ronald. That's right. And she had to act like his friend so he'd be in the cool club. Right, that's true. I remember, I watched the movie. Well, as you know, it worked out, but something went terribly wrong. Remember he did the African anteater dance? Oh, that was awesome. That's right, he did. Because he thought he was watching like Soul Train, but they switched the station to like, yeah. Well, since you remember it so well, then you'll remember when Dempsey started being a jerk once he became cool, right? Ronald got a little bit of an ego. Well, don't worry, Skye, because Dempsey realized his errors, and everything turned out great, and the two even ended up together. Oh, it was beautiful. It's a great movie. Really special. It sounds great. For people who haven't seen it, though, we don't really know what that is. That is true. I'm so lost right now. Well, let me tell you something, though. Let me tell you something. Yeah.
It wasn't really one of my cases. I just love that movie a lot. I'm sorry about the people that don't know the movie. It's not my fault. It is your fault. I like it. You're the one giving the advice. It has nothing to do with anything. Focus, man. Let me talk to this mother, Ricky, here. Let me tell you something right now. Sticky, are you sure? First of all, you've got to be sure that your daughter is borrowing, I say in finger quotes, borrowing your clothes and not stealing them, finger quotes, and putting them on eBay, finger quotes. Why are you doing those finger quotes? Or maybe she's trying to help you by getting rid of your moo-moos and throwing them into the trash. Wow, that's a little crazy. Are you trying to imply that you... Maybe trying to make you a little bit more hip? Did you ever think of that, Mom? Why would your teenage daughter want to wear old lady clothes anyway? Don't flatter yourself, Mom. She's probably selling them for crack addictions.
You know that's the deal. You don't know that. That's a ridiculous statement. Listen, folks. I actually, I had this problem with my son, Dr. Phil Jr., okay? That's his full name? That is his full name, Dr. Phil Jr. Now, he wouldn't stop wearing my business suits no matter how many times I washed his mouth out with soap. That does work. So finally, I came up with a solution. What I did was I sold him to Gypsies for 10 cases of Bartle and James wine coolies. That's not hard. You sold to your son? Of those little wine coolies. For the wine coolies? That's right. Strawberry daiquiri to be specific. I mean, that sounds delicious, but... Vicki, here's a little rhyme that my granddad used to tell me when we were out back sawing off shotguns and skinny dipping. He would say to me. My granddad, he would say this little rhyme. It went like this. It was a hickory dickory dock. My grandson.
Are you okay, Dr. Phil? His grandfather was old. Are you okay, Dr. Phil? I think he just choked on his mustache. Sorry. I actually, Scott's right. I choked on my mustache. That's weird, but okay. Actually, so it went something. He said, hickory dickory dog. My grandson is voting Barack. The clock struck one. And just for fun, I acquainted that boy with my Glock. First of all, Dr. Phil, when you were a child, Barack was in office. Eddie, thank you. Thank you for illustrating my point. Thank you, please. I'm not trying to illustrate. I'm going to tell you right now, y'all. Kleptomania is a disease which has affected nearly every person at one time or another in their lives. In fact, you can find it at almost every level of Hollywood, including most of the celebrities that are out there right now. Now, some more famous people who have battled with kleptomania? Lou Diamond Phillips, steal a stool softener.
That is the truth. You don't know that, Dr. Phil. Hang on a minute. Why would he steal? I don't believe that's the truth. That's creepy. DeForest Kelly, guy used to play Bones from Star Trek. Used to steal his mother's lipstick and leg warmers. That's a true story. That is a true story. I don't believe that's true. I think we would have read that somewhere. Sir Elton John. What did he steal? My heart. That is a fact. That is a fact. It is? Yes, it is. Have you heard the song, Daniel? Yeah. Is that to you? Yeah. Daniel sees me. Okay. You don't need to sing it. Why are you doing that? You don't need to do that. Your name is Phil. You can stop now. Your name is Phil. You must be the stars in my eyes. Did you all know that Barbara Walters stole Estelle Getty's entire stockpile of the sponge? Did you know that? Are you aware? Are you aware? I was not aware of that. That is disgusting. Edward James almost stole Jessica Simpson's proactive skin care products. Obviously way too late. It didn't work. You know, I stole things when I was a kid, y'all. Really? Yeah, in fact, whenever the police would come to take me to juvie, I would sing them a little song I made up. Oh, wow. This better not be...
Is it what I think it is? It's not Yankee Doodle. It goes like this. Little klepto, short and gruff. These are the hands that will steal your stuff. I will try to catch me and press more. Wait, sorry. The mustache again. Dr. Phil, can you trim that thing? Gross. Get it out of your mouth. It's getting everywhere. Sorry, folks. All over the floor. My mustache got tripped up my tongue. It happens. From the top. And a one, and a two, and a one, two, three, and. Maybe we should just move on. I'm a little too short and rough. These are the hands that will steal your stuff. If you try to catch me and press your luck.
I'll pull a gun and jack you up. Whoa! I'm glad we waited for that. That took a turn. No. Oh, thank you so much, y'all. Thank you. I hope you enjoyed that. I'm Dr. You're ending on that? This is the Mikey Show. Wow. If he says one more cool thing, he's in. This is the rock. All right. What are you getting? I don't know. Just get some chips. Okay, lesson number one. You can't get just chips. Why not? You can't get just chips at a.m. p.m. It would be like saying no thanks to a million dollars or turning down season tickets. Season tickets? It's like telling a gorgeous French supermodel that you have a girlfriend. It's just something you don't do. You have to at least get a hot dog. All right, all right. I could go for a hot dog. Yes, and? And a Slim Jim. A hot dog and a supermodel coming right up. You're buying this, right? Yeah. Wait, what? Let's go. At a.m. p.m., you can never have too much good stuff. Stop in and pick up a pepper jack cheese sausage dog for only $1.29. Real pepper jack cheese, sausage, and just the right amount of spice. A.m. p.m., too much good stuff. At participating stores for a limited time, while supplies last, prices may vary. Let's see. What do I got? P1 Ross. Hey, I switched to AIS.
I gave them a call. I took your advice. I was with a mom and pop company, right? Yeah. And I was paying $200 a month, but for no reason they upped it to $300. And that's when I called AIS, and they gave me a quote for less than what I was paying originally. So now they're saving me $1,800 a year. Dude, that is awesome. Yeah. You are saving up to $1,800 a year? Yeah. They cut it in half. That's amazing. Yeah, and I drive a sports car, and I'm 21 years old, so I was excited about that. That is awesome. Hey, dude, thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Yeah, no problem. Thank you. What I tell you about AIS is the solid gold truth, and I mean that from my heart. I use AIS myself. My wife uses AIS. Their phone number is 1-800-777-4247. 1-800-777.
777-4AIS. Looked into Jared. I felt immediately comfortable and at home. Every single person cares about what you come in there for. Jared, the Galleria of Jewelry customer, Ryan Mormon. It looks like the weekend box office estimates were a bit off, and Speed Racer was actually the number three movie of the weekend, only making $18.6 million. Wow. Kobe Bryant says his back injury will not force him to miss Game 5 against Utah. So this is good news for you if you wanted to go see the benefit show with Metallica. It's not $400 a ticket.
It's $400 a pair, $200 a ticket. Not bad. Makes it a little bit easier for you. It's still expensive, but it makes it a little bit easier on you. Smell of wine and cheap perfume. Smells so good. Text us at 35253 or call us at 5701053. In just a little bit, I'm going to be playing you the audio of the reporter that was doing a live report when the earthquake hit in China, and all of a sudden you start to hear the earthquake happen in China. So that's coming up. Okay, so Metallica's playing a show, a benefit show, tomorrow night at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. It's $200 a ticket, $400 a pair. We're giving a pair away. And meet-and-greet passes to meet Metallica. Now, what we're looking for you to do is nominate a hero of the day. Who is a hero in your life? You must be able to go to Los Angeles tomorrow night. You have to be able to. It's tomorrow night at the Wiltern in L.A., and you get to see this benefit show with Metallica playing live in a venue that only holds 2,000 people, and you get to meet the band. So it's a pretty big deal. And if you are interested, all you have to do is go to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. and type in the keyword hero. It's that easy. So there was a guy in the South Bay that's been cleared of first-degree murder charges. What's the deal, Sky?
Well, it's a 72-year-old guy, and he owns and operates the Southcrest Cultural Arts Center. Now, I believe we talked about this way back when it first happened. This all went down in July of 06. And basically what happened is the arts center was rented out for a quinceañera that night, and it was about 1.30 in the morning, and I guess the dude went to, like, close it down and make sure everything was cool and the place wasn't trashed. He started arguing with the girl's father. And this is like 1.30 in the morning. And so next thing you know, a member, I believe it was the girl's father, ended up being shot and killed by the owner. Holy cow. So it kind of depends on whose side you were on. Now, this was all just recently going on in court. And basically, you know, the guy who is accused of murder was saying that it was self-defense. The family members were intoxicated. They had him cornered. They were beating him up. And he was trying to hit them with the gun, you know, and then the gun went off and shot the guy. According to the other side, they said that basically the guy got angry and was waving the gun around and then all of a sudden shot and killed this guy. So here is Virgil Gordon. He's the guy that was accused. Reiterating that.
This was all about nothing. Cut 54. I feel great. This has been a two-year ordeal, and I consider and continue to consider this for nothing. This is Virgil's lawyer. Cut 55. He was set upon by a group of drunken individuals who were beating him up and rendered him bloody and were about to do him serious harm when the gun fired. The district attorney will do whatever they're going to do. I hope they'll be guided by the fact that a very hardworking jury determined, at least by a majority, in some cases an overwhelming majority, that there was no murder and there was no manslaughter. Hello, who is this? This is Eunice Simpson calling, baby. This is O.J. Simpson's mother. Wait, O.J. Simpson's mother. What was your name? That's right. What was your name? My name is Eunice Simpson. Eunice Simpson. Eunice Simpson.
Okay. What can I do for you, Eunice? And y'all white people laughing out there. Now you're going to think differently about it because every black angel right now is innocent. Every black man is not all innocent. I don't know that. Yes, Eunice. My son all I thought was innocent. Well, I mean. And every black man. in the camp is innocent. No, that's not true, Ms. Simpson. I don't think race has anything to do with whether you're innocent or not. It's neither here nor there right now. Who was that, Eunice? That's my husband. What's he saying? He's saying to tell you about how all serial killers is white. That is inaccurate. He warned black man. Emma was all weird, dressing like a clown and eating people and everything. What about the D.C. Sniper? What about the what? The D.C. Sniper. Don't make her mad. I'm a cartoon character, man. I don't think it was. Is he making up no serial killer? I remember he'd be in the trunk with the gun and would shoot. She's talking about that man that had that nephew with him.
Who is that? Who is that? Who is that? Yes, that is what I'm talking about, Eunice. You don't even know what color you. Well, I'm a Caucasian. Oh, no. That man, Virgil Gordon, innocent. All of them innocent. And all you white cracker crackers won't call this. Oh, he's so guilty. He's so guilty. Who is that? Was that your husband again? Eunice. Eunice. Hey. Eunice. Who's in the background? Is that your husband again? That's my husband. What's his name? What's your name? You don't know your husband. That's her man. He left the house. Wait, what? Where'd he go? Oh, the paper. Oh, this is strange. The weirdest call. Let me tell you something. Yeah? Yes. Yes, Eunice. They did the same thing to this man that they did to Oregon Dog. Well, that's completely different. You don't know the circumstances of what happened when O.J. went over there. So you're saying he was over there? I'm not saying anything. I think you just did. You just implicated your son. No, I didn't. And he didn't tell me nothing like that. I'm just saying what if it was self-defense? How could it be self-defense? I'm like chopping people's heads off in self-defense.
You don't know none. Eunice. You don't know none. Miss Simpson. Oh, my gosh. You don't know none. I know the evidence. Oh, my gosh. Whoa, whoa, whoa. See, I think we got her and she got mad. That was crazy. Do you think Barbara gave her that number? I don't know. How did she get that number? How did she get the Eddie line? Where would she even get it? How did any of these weirdos get that number? I don't know. Strangest thing I've ever heard in my life. O.J. Simpson's mother. Wow. Okay, then. So listen to this. This is from Boston Rob's email telling me what happened during his day yesterday. Oh, please. Oh, I've been wondering. Yeah. Now, for those of you that didn't hear it yesterday, Boston Rob had a, we determined, lime-sized lump on his arm. Yes. Now, he was positive that this came from a spider that had bitten him in the middle of the night. Yes. And he said that it was very hot to the touch. It still is. It still is hot to the touch. Oh, yeah.
And he said that, you know, obviously he thought that, and it happened when he woke up, he was having like pins and needles in his hands and everything. So he was pretty sure that it had come from a spider bite. So Rob says, sat in the doctor's office for about three hours. I even passed out in the holding cell while waiting for the doctor to come in to check out my arm. You know that room. You know the rum that they put you in where they say wait here for the doctor? No, not where they have you drink rum. It's the rum that they put you in until the doctor comes in. The waiting room? Yeah, the waiting room. No, not the waiting room. The organs? The examination room. That's right. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. That's what it's called. So he was in there. And he says it's not a spider bite. Oh, my gosh. Really? Some kind of skin infection. And they put him on antibiotics. That guy was trying to rub that all over our face and have us touch it. Wait a second. Did he say that it's a contagious skin infection? I don't know. I don't want no skin infection. How can you get a skin infection? I have no idea. Rob, did you? You don't ask these questions?
No, I didn't ask nothing. He said, eh, it's no big thing. It's some kind of skin infection. He thinks he's cool when he does this. It makes him tough. This is exactly what the doctor told me. I would like to know. He didn't make it sound life-threatening, so what am I going to ask? But wait a second. You're telling me that you didn't go, well, where did that come from? Nope. I think he did, but he doesn't want to tell us. I didn't ask any questions. He said, I'm going to put you on. I don't even know what it's called. I got it with me, but. He says, Rob says that he gave him antibiotics that a bunch of stupid rules came along with. Yeah, I read them all. Like, I'm super sensitive to the sun now. Wait a second. Sky is very, very familiar. You need to be careful. Oh, no. Is it pill paste? You need to be careful. Maybe he put you on the orthotricycline. He put you on the birth control pill. But, yeah, he has to stay out of direct sunlight for 10 days. Or something bad will happen. No landscaping. Like what will happen, Rob? That's what I didn't understand. What will happen if you go out in the sunlight? They didn't tell me. They said I'm super sensitive to sunlight and make sure I wear sunscreen. And he didn't tell you what would happen if you went out in the sun? I'm assuming I'm going to melt. Yeah, basically you'll burn really bad. That's what my fiance said. Yeah, it'll be a very, very painful sunscreen. Then you have to call the Kaiser line.
Did you have to use those first two letters, Sky? I mean, we get the joke already. Give me a break. We get the joke already. We get it. Jokesters. Might as well be a doo-doo-oh, right? Everyone relax. Rob says, when I was getting my prescription at CVS, there was this guy walking around the store with no shoes on, and he had the most disgusting feet I've ever seen in my life. I wanted to buy him some antibiotics. I was thinking about sharing with him. Do you know that Rob's never made a doctor's appointment? Really? Ever. Never? In his life. Yeah, because if I do anything, I go to urgent care. He's like, I waited for three hours. I'm like, wait, you make an appointment? He's like, I've never made a doctor's appointment. He'll never get, like, if he ever got cancer, he wouldn't go to an oncologist. He would go to, like, urgent care. Yeah. Hey, listen. You know, he's completely debilitated. He's like, is Bob here? He's the last guy that was working here at the urgent care. Rob has these strengths. Rob may be the most, I think.
superstitious person I've ever met. You know, I think that the bank stuff is kind of superstitious and this weird I only go to urgent care, don't see doctors thing. Well, urgent care has it all. Like when I fractured my nose, go to urgent care. Sure, they do. They had x-rays when I had this weird red lump on my arm that was... Making pins and needles in my arm? They had a doctor for that. They got everything there. But you pay more for that, Rob. Yeah, you do pay more. No, I didn't. Yeah, you do. No, I didn't. I paid the same price. Look at this guy. You don't have any insurance? Yeah, I got insurance. Yeah, and then it's a different price. What are you talking about? See, he doesn't even know what it would be if he went to a doctor. How much would they charge you? Ten bucks. Okay, well, if you go... That's not right. Yeah, that doesn't sound right either. That can't be right. I paid $10. That was... All I paid. Both times. I fractured my nose and same thing with this arm thing. Usually. Yeah. I thought even with the HMOs, it's like more if you go to the emergency room or urgent care. At least $50. Yeah. Not for me. I mean, because we have the same insurance. Yeah, I got my card. Bring it in here.
Yeah, and it's supposed to be $10 for a copay to the doctor, and it's $50 for urgent care. That's strange. My husband had to go, and it was $50. We'll take a look. We'll settle this. We're going to settle this. I'm going to pick it out of his mind. Yeah, but watch out for the arm, because it'll contaminate you. It's Rob, though, so who knows what kind of urgent care he's going to. Right? What does that mean? Look at that. Just stands a wall. I saw my brother, Al. What does it say, Teddy? It doesn't have any prices on it. So take that. That's so weird. Let me see. That's the weirdest thing I've ever heard. Yeah, mine has the co-pays on the bottom of it. Get that those down in IV. In IV. I make them myself. Look at that, guys. It's so strange. It says definitely HRA. Like, what a strange way to word that on a card. Definitely HRA.
It says DFINITY. What does it say? DFINITY. Oh, it says DFINITY HRA. Okay. Close. Very close. A lot of the same letters. Well said. I do it all the time. Oh, no. Don't you worry. It sounds strange, man. It doesn't tell him how much it costs. That's odd. Well, he got one over on them. Yeah, I guess he did. Right? Mikey Show. Hello. Hi. Is this Mikey Show? Yes, it is. Hi, let B-Rob know that sometimes the antibiotics doesn't work because I had the exact same thing. They gave me antibiotics. How do you know you have the exact same thing? Well, no, I mean, not the, well, he said it's skin infection. What it was, was. Well, yeah, hang on.
There's many types. No, there's only one, Mike. I know, but I mean, just make sure and just tell them to watch out because it could get worse. Okay, thank you. That's very encouraging. Positive. No, here's the thing. Before people start calling to diagnose Rob... He went to a doctor. Yes. He's good. Number one, it may be different than something you had. I don't know about that. Number two, you're not even seeing it. And number three, you know, you're not a medical doctor. You saw one of those. Mikey Show. Yeah, I just wanted to comment on the show about the insurance thing. Yeah, go ahead. I have insurance, and when I go to the urgent care, it's $20. And when I go to my doctor, it's $20. It's the emergency room that costs more. So I just wanted to straighten that out for everyone. That's your insurance. It's your insurance. It's through Barona. I think it's Cigna. No, no, no, no, no. I'm not saying what's your insurance. I'm saying that is your insurance. Well, I'm just saying it's possible. No, it's not possible. No, no, no, no, no. It is. It's just that Rob has the same insurance that we have. That's why we know that because we work for the same company. Well, then that's just a little impossible. Thank you very much. I appreciate your call. It's very nice of you to call on.
Ten bucks. Flat rate for everything. Awesome. Rob's like, I figured I was there. I got a vasectomy while I was there. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 5701053. This is an NPR reporter, National Public Radio. And the reporter's name is Melissa Block. And this is her doing an interview in China when this giant earthquake actually hit. Cut nine. But my position is to help my college or my pastors to pastor the church or to grow in the church, to plant the church. What's going on? The whole building is shaking. The whole building is shaking. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. We're in the middle of an earthquake? The whole block is shaking. The top of the church is falling down. The ground is shaking underneath our feet and all the people are running out in the street. As we're standing here, birds are flying. The ground is undulating under my feet.
cross on the top of the church is waving wildly and bricks are falling off of the ceiling falling off of the roof that woman must have been on 900 milligrams of volume oh my god that was crazy i've never heard a more calm is the earth shaking underneath my feet right now there's a gaping hole opening up underneath me Oh, look at that. A dragon just popped out of that manhole. I see magma. Oh, my gosh. I'm falling into a chasm. Right now, I'm currently 40 feet into a chasm as I fall deeper and deeper into the abyss. And, oh, look at that. I just passed a witch on a broom. That is crazy. Holy crap. Did that sound bring back memories for you guys? That was scary. Gives me the willies. Yeah, that real deep rumble. Right. There's no low note like the sound of the earth. Sound of the earth hits a note that's much lower than... That's maybe why they say animals get real sensitive, you know? Oh, yeah. Because animals can hear stuff we can't hear. Maybe they're capable of hearing rumbling way before we are. And I mean, when I say way before, I mean like a day before. Because, you know, they start to freak out. Oh, yeah.
The dogs and the cats. Would you eat your dog? Would you eat your cat? Would you eat your coleslaw? No. Coleslaw is murder. Coleslaw is murder. Would your dog or your cat eat coleslaw? That's a good question, too. Does the coleslaw eat the cat? Yeah. So that's the only thing I'm trying... That's the only point I wanted to get out there today. Point taken. So it's Tuesday. It's out there. You guys have it. And thank you. So, you know... Friday, the Mikey Show will be off. I am getting baptized on Friday. Wow. And it's a really big day for me, and all the friends here on the show will be there for that. And I'm real excited about it. And I get completely dunked. I'm a little self-conscious about this. I'm going to have to be out there, you know, sort of like in a... Nude? No, no, no. What are you wearing? Why not? What are you wearing? I don't even know. I guess swim trunks in a... Speedo. You know. But I'm not going to go topless, if that's what you're asking. I would try just, you know, wearing what God gave you. Okay, I'm not going to do that. Put yourself before the Lord. Oh, no, not in that way. And all your friends. Okay, that may be a little, yeah, much for me. I was telling Rebecca last night about how, you know, what an athlete I was not in high school.
I just wasn't an athlete. And, you know, going through the process of growing, I had very little character when I was in high school. And I faked an injury one time in football because I knew that I wasn't... First of all, I didn't know how the game of football was played. My dad had never taught me anything about football. So I was really behind the curve in terms of, like, even knowing... what a person on the defense was trying to do. What was the goal? Was he trying to score a touchdown? Like, was that the deal? Or was the, you know, I knew running backs scored touchdowns. I knew that wide receivers scored touchdowns. I didn't even know what, like, the defense was supposed to do. And so, don't know how to play. No, I'm not going to play. In fact, I remember being so nervous about going into my freshman football, you know, the first one, because I literally didn't know what to expect. What I thought, here's what my expectation was, they were going to show us how the game of football is played, which was not the case. What they expected was, not only did you know how to play, but they were familiar with the kids, which I had no idea how they were familiar with the kids, but they had all the kids in their different positions,
And then there were like a few losers like me and a couple of other guys that they didn't know who we were. Well, I'm sure those other kids played Pop Warner and stuff like that. So they knew him from there. They knew him. You didn't. So they probably didn't know what the deal was. So they're trying to figure out, you know, where I'm going. And they don't care. Like they don't care. All they know is that they got their guys and they know who's going to. And so I remember one day I was running and I pretended like I pulled a muscle or something. And I was so humiliated going through the process of thinking, am I actually going to do this? You know, it's such terrible character. And then I went into the locker room. And while I was sitting in the locker room, the coach for the wrestling team was walking through. And at the time, I was only 14 years old and I was thin. And I remember at the time I was really into lifting weights. And so I was halfway, you know, I looked. physically like a pretty strong kid. And I remember him saying, are you in wrestling? And I said, no. And he goes, yeah, you should think about it. You should think about it. And I remember that was even more humiliating to me because I was thinking to myself, oh man, here I am faking an injury in the locker room, faking an injury, showing the lowest character possible. And here's this guy saying, you should think about wrestling.
I should think about not faking injury. How about that? I don't know. But anyway, it got me thinking, has anybody else, or is anybody else willing to admit faking an injury? Eddie, have you done it? Of course. What did you do? I remember there was a time, I think we were in Dallas, and this guy who we knew, We were friends with, but we weren't like. Dude, you don't want to say we were a little closer than that, dude. Not you, Woods or Bowman. Great. Was moving. I thought we were boys. And I told, like, he wanted me to help him move, and he wasn't like a good friend, so I thought it was weird. Yeah. And so I said that I. Can you say who it was? Well, it was. You can't say or you can't? No, I'll tell you later. Okay, okay. I got to know. Yeah, his name was Rick. He's not really a good friend. Hey.
Did he have big hips? Yeah. Okay. No, not that guy. Definitely not. I would have had no problem just saying no to that guy. But no, I had told him that I threw my back out. I think I moved. Absolutely. And I'm okay with it. And I'm still okay with it. It was summer in Dallas, by the way. Oh, forget it, dude. Forget it. Oh, summers in Dallas were the worst. I would have told him, you know, sorry, dude, I just got my legs amputated this weekend, so not going to happen. Wish I could help you. 570-1053-35253 is our text. Sky, did you ever fake an injury? Yeah. So this was like, gosh, was my, well, anyways, I'm in high school, but I'm playing soccer, not for the high school team, but, you know, outside of high school. And the previous weekend I was playing and there was like a hole in the field. And my foot went in it and I twisted my ankle real bad, you know, so I had to sit out the rest of that game. Well, the next weekend, like I rested it all week and it was fine. It was totally fine. And so the next weekend comes around, you know, soccer games are like on the weekend and I had gone out partying the night before. And I was just rocked, man. I was like working like two hours of sleep, you know, not doing well at all. And so the coach goes.
oh, how's your ankle? Do you think you'll be able to play this weekend? I was like, yeah, I don't know. You know, I think I sprained it real bad last weekend, and it's probably best that I, you know, just sit on the sidelines. You were terrible. Shut up. You let the whole team down. You're the worst. It was fine. It was fine. You should be humiliated. 570-1053. Let's see. P1 Miko. Hey, what's up? What's up, dude? I was in wrestling, and I got a pinky sprain, not even related to wrestling, but I sprained my pinky. And it really wasn't that bad, but the coach kept, like, asking me if I wanted to, you know, try for my weight class. And there were other people, but I just faked it through the whole season, dragged it out so I wouldn't have to. You dragged a pinky sprain out the whole season? How did he buy in the whole season you had a pinky sprain?
That's crazy. I don't know. I went to Savon, got the little splint. That, bro. Wow. You know, Ronnie Lott cut off his thumb to go play. That is true. That is true. P1 Moneymaker, what'd you do? What's up, Mikey? How are you? Good, man. Well, I had a little bit of an individual sport injury here. Yeah? I woke up in the morning and I went to check the surf. I had my cup of coffee and you know what coffee does to you in the morning. Yeah, coffee will act as a diuretic, and it will, you know, sometimes get to, if you're having a hard time, you know, going. Activate something. Yeah, it'll activate, and you can go a lot easier. Yeah, just checking the surf and had a little bit of an accident. Mmm, an accident. Oops. You know how you do the oops stagger like you're... Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Whoopsie. Didn't expect you. Good morning to you. Ah, well, hello. Nice of you to join us. A guy comes out of his apartment. He's like, hey, bro, you okay? I'm like, yeah, bro, just stub my toe. Oh, yeah. Wow. Thank you very much. Yeah.
P1 Quimby is on the line. Hey, Quimby. Oh, no. Hey, Quimby. Oh, no. Hi. What did you do? When I was in junior high, they used to make us, like, run the mile and stuff. Yeah. And so I was at an age where I could pretend I had menstrual cramps in order. What are you, Pam from The Office? Whoa. You had a friend do that, Ash? Yeah. It was the same exact situation. I was going to bring that up. That was so funny. Yeah. And she's like, ever heard of? A period. And she was so obnoxious and dramatic. Right. And so she got to sit out this huge run we all had to do. It was crap. Wow. Wow. Because the PE teacher, you know, it's a dude. And he was like, what are you going to say to that? He doesn't know. Thank you, Quinn. He's like, okay, sit down. P1 Joseph. What's going on, Mikey? Not too much. Hey, dude, junior high. I qualified. They had a bunch of qualifying for a biathlon at my junior high. And I had qualified first in the school. I was a really good athlete, right?
Well, just this day, I didn't have it. And the whole pack was with me when I should have been blowing everyone away. So I faked a side cramp just so I would not come in first. It's brutal, dude. And you know, my whole life I've never told anyone because it's such an embarrassing place. It's a safe place. It's a safe place. Fortunately, nobody's listening. You're about to cry here on the freeway. Listen, the only people hearing it are the seven people in this room. That's right. We won't tell nobody. No one's listening except the 15, the 805, the 8, the 94, and the 56. 163. And don't forget the 163 and the 78. And thank you very much. But your secret's safe with us. And I've even heard us on parts of Sunset Boulevard and Lawn. So don't worry, no one's hearing you. But other than that, yeah, you're great. P1 Bree. Hello, good morning. Hi. Hi, I was just calling in about a pretty embarrassing injury that I'd fake. What did you do? Well, when I was in middle school, I decided to do the swim team because my cousin was doing swimming and he was like kind of chubby.
I was always like the athletic one. I was like, all right, I'll join. I'll swim. And the first race, she was like kicking my butt. So I was like, oh, no. And I just pretended I hurt my knee. I mean, I went underwater. Yeah, I mean, what are you going to do? Are you going to have your chubby cousin beat you? Get loose to the whale. Yeah, come on. Family would have made fun of me. Wow. Pilot whale. Thank you. That's acceptable. There you go. Oh, my God. Thank you very much for the call. That's P1 Brie. Wow. Ashley's got their hair up today. I don't see that very often. She doesn't do that that often. Why is your hair up today? Well, normally I have the poof blow dried out because I have like this little poof. Yeah, where's your poof? That I can like tease and make a little into a ponytail so there's more voomph. Yeah, where's the voomph? Dude, I was freaking blow-drying my hair this morning. What's a freaking dress and leggings? I'm blow-drying, and I blow-dry the bangs, and I'm going to blow-dry the poof.
And my blow dryer slips out of my hands and falls to the ground. And it's a crappy old blow dryer anyways. And so it fell to the ground. Is it one of those blow dryers that the vent has a bunch of clogged gray stuff all inside of it? It totally is. Gross. No joke. I've probably had this blow dryer for like five years. Like so long. Too long. Right. It's one of those blow dryers that I turn it on and it takes about five seconds for it to get to full power. So it'll be like. Ow. Gosh, why would you? I bet a billion chicks listening have that going on. I got it going on right now. I'm lazy. Why, you guys? You were just at Long's yesterday. Pick up a new one. I forgot. I was picking up Cascade. How come chicks don't replace us? My wife, same thing, man. She turns out blow-dry her and I go, for like $20? I mean, it's been six years. For the top of the line? and so I drop it on the ground I'm like oh crap like this is the end of it I pick it up and I turn it on and it starts smelling like burnt hair and there's like fire in it and it's like oh my it's making a weird sound and so I'm screwed and like barely any heat coming out
Dude, it was the worst. So I had to, like, somehow air dry my poof and then, like, pull it back to the poof. Like, it doesn't ruin the rest of my hair. Thank God I got my bangs blow dried before it broke. Thank goodness. Girl, what would we have done, Eddie? Thank goodness. Got home, I guess. How are we on time? Got to break. Ruined my morning. Eddie, no one does a day. Oh, giddy up, Eddie. Eddie's doing a giddy up. No, he's got a lasso going on. Now he's pulling in the calf. Now he's pulling in the calf. He's pulling in Skye. That's what he's doing right now. Our text number is 35253. Phone number is 5701053. If you want to nominate somebody for Hero of the Day and get them to meet Metallica tomorrow night. They threw in free sheets and pillows because we said we heard about it through you. And they also gave us the free mattress protector, so it was really cool. And I referred my mom to go there because she is buying a bed for my grandmother just this last week. And she went to the Curti Mesa store. And they actually beat the price on Costco mattress. The Sleep Train was selling it for, I think, around $1,000. And then the Costco price was like $500-something. So they beat that, which is awesome. They just won Best Mattress Store. And there's a reason for it. They're really good. The prices are great. And if you're getting one of these good name brand mattresses, or no matter what you're looking for, they're great. This is Dr. Steve Bruhl. If you don't like to see you sit in the airplane, why don't you just go in the laboratory and sit on the toilet, you turkey? Why don't you think of that? For your health. Yeah, you turkey. This is exactly what happened on a JetBlue plane from San Diego to New York, except that the guy didn't want to sit on the toilet. Right, Sky? No, he did not want to. He didn't want to. No. What happened? No, thank you. Why? Okay. So, first of all, this dude was flying on a buddy pass, which is basically, you know, if you know somebody who works for the airline, they can give you a buddy pass. And if there's any seats available, then you can use that ticket. It's free. If there's any unsold seats. I don't know if it's free or if it's at a discount. Yeah. but it's definitely like a special deal. It's a nice thing. Yeah, definitely. So I guess, you know, this guy was traveling on a buddy pass, and he, like you said, was going from San Diego to New York, and it was about an hour and a half into the flight when the pilot approached him and said, yeah, we're going to need you to move and give up your seat because we need to seat one of the JetBlue employees here. Was the JetBlue employee sick or something?
I guess the JetBlue employee was a flight attendant and was assigned to a jump seat, which I believe is one of those little seats. And complained that the jump seat was uncomfortable. Now, let's pause. Okay. This can't be happening. I wonder if this is a jump seat that is in some way messed up. Does that make sense? Broken. Well, something's wrong with it. Like maybe something happened to it and like she's sitting on it and like she's like, well, the only reason I'm saying that is because I'm just trying to walk through it in my head and I'm going, I'm saying to myself, it's hard for me to imagine being in a plane and the flight attendant goes, I've got an idea. I know someone's flying standby. I'll say I don't like my seat. It's just uncomfortable, you know.
I don't know. It could be just that, that they're like, I want a better seat, and you know what? I'm going to say that get the standby guy out. Yeah. But what we do know is that those are the facts. They said it was uncomfortable. Yeah. Flight attendant. The flight attendant said the jump seat was uncomfortable. All the seats are uncomfortable in an airplane. Like, who cares? Yeah, but you know what the jump seat is, Ash? Yeah. You know what they had? They're those little, it looks like an ironing board that comes out of the, it does. It looks like an ironing board that's posted to the wall and it pulls down and it's real thin, you know, and they just, it's not like a regular airplane seat. It is, it does look kind of. Well, it's not meant to sit the entire time. I mean, it's for the air waitresses to get up and down and serve. That is true. When they're not busy, they sit in that. Yeah, she's not sitting for six hours. She's supposed to be serving coffee and. Soft drinks. Go ahead, Ash. She signed up for that. She knows what she sits in. Unless there's something wrong with the jumpsuit. We're assuming it's a woman, but we don't know. That could be a guy. We don't know. This is so uncomfortable. He is a gay man. I hate this. Steve, is your jumpsuit uncomfortable? Do you want to switch?
This is terrible. I hate this. Is yours uncomfortable too? Do you have any fun buddy passes? Do I have any what? Those fun passes. What are they called? The funny passes. Yeah. A bunny pass? What is that? What is a bunny pass? Oh, my goodness. It sounds fun. Like somebody uses a fun bunny pass and we can switch with them. Oh, my goodness. You know how you're gay? What website are you on? So, anyway. Funbunny.com. Funbunny.com? Go to it. It's crazy. I am not gay. I never have been gay. Hey, Steve. Yes. Want to get away? You know it. So according to this dude's lawsuit, the pilot came out. You are now free to move about. No, can't finish that joke.
According to the lawsuit, the pilot came out, approached the dude at his seat, and basically explained to him, you're going to need to give up your seat to our flight attendant because the flight attendant is not comfortable in the jump seat. And so the person said, well, so am I going to sit in the jump seat? And the pilot said, no, only employees of JetBlue are legally allowed to sit in the jump seat. Okay, this is another weird thing. Can I tell you something else that's really strange? Okay. When is the last flight you were ever on in your life where the pilot walked out? Yeah. Especially in like post 9-11 days where the pilot opens up the little pilot door, saunters out, walks down the aisle to a seat and starts talking to a dude. Seriously. Never. I've never seen that. I've never seen. Even pre-9-11. Yeah. In flight, a pilot coming out. Like, you would think that another flight attendant would have done that. Yeah. Or the flight attendant even themselves. I don't know. Maybe the flight attendant did and the guy was like, uh, no. No. And so now the pilot had to step in?
Yeah, so the dude said he was reluctant to the idea of going to sit in the bathroom. That's not possible. And so he said that the pilot said to him, quote, he was the pilot and that this was his plane and under his command and that he should be grateful for being on board. Tell him, John. Yeah, seriously. Yeah, don't let him. Get out of my seat. Put him in the toilet. Yeah. With the rest of the poop. Okay. So he went to the toilet and he said there was turbulence and everything. That cannot be true. And he had to sit in there for about three hours until a flight attendant knocked on the door and said he could then return to the seat. Question, question, question, question. We know these JetBlue planes. They usually have two bathrooms, one in the front, one in the back. And so you're telling me, like, that means that everybody was relegated to one lavatory because dude's taken up a lavatory. Wait a second. Wait a second. Thank you. The pilot said it's against regulations for him to sit in the jump seat. Right. But it's not against regulations to sit in the john? Thank you.
Without a seat restraint? You're supposed to sit in a seatbelt when you're in your seat. But if you think about it, you're allowed to use the John. And I don't know if there's a law anywhere that puts a time constraint on how long you can be in there. Yeah, but he doesn't have to use the John. Are you, as a passenger, allowed to go, you know what? I don't want to sit in my seat. I want to sit in the bathroom. And if you were to get up and go to a flight attendant and say, Miss, I know we're about to take off. I just want to know. Once we're to altitude, will it be okay if I spend the remainder of the flight in the toilet? Is that all right? What would the flight attendant say? Go ahead, sir. Absolutely, sir. You know what? We'll come down the aisle with drinks in just a little while. And we'll ask you what you like. We'll bring your Diet Coke in there for you. Sure. Well, and I don't know, but what I'm assuming, if this is true, is that the fact about not being able to sit in the jump seat is a rule, is written down somewhere. But nobody ever thought they ever needed to write down a rule about somebody sitting in the bathroom. No, but we know that that's a rule. I'll tell you how it's written. I don't think that's written anyway. You want to know how it's written? Passengers must be in their seats.
for blah, blah, unless they probably make a provision for going to the restroom. During flight, in flight. And do they put a time constraint on that? See, I just think it may be one of these great areas. It doesn't matter. You know why it doesn't matter? You know why it doesn't matter the time constraint? Why? Because the passenger had nothing to do with it. The passenger's argument is, I didn't have to go to the bathroom. Then it's on the pilot. Then the FAA is going, wait a second, sir. Of course you had to go to the bathroom. You spent three hours in the bathroom and you can't do that. Oh, no, no, no, Mr. FAA. I didn't do it on my own volition. I was told to. You were told to go in there by whom? By the pilot. The pilot? When did he tell you that? Oh, at 30,000 feet. That's crap. I mean, I definitely think it's a horrible thing, but I just don't know. No pun realized. I just don't know if it's on the books, but this guy is suing JetBlue for $2 million. Oh, that's dumb. And a JetBlue spokesperson declined to comment. Get whatever you can. Something's not adding up. I'm sorry. A lot of stuff isn't.
So something's not right because that's BS. To me, there's a lot of stuff that doesn't add up. But why isn't JetBlue commenting? If I work for JetBlue, I would be like... Maybe the reason they're not commenting... What about this? I just thought of this. What if the whole thing is like... I'm just going to throw this out there for an argument. I might throw it back. What if this guy, crazy, Lulu... The pilot or the guy? The guy. Is a Lulu head. He's a Lulu head. Those people are nuts. And he... At about half an hour into the flight, when you're free to move about the country, decided to go sit in the can on his own. Nobody said a word to him. And he decided, no, he didn't talk to a flight attendant. No pilot came out. He just decides. Oh my gosh. What just happened? He goes into the lavatory and he is in there. Where did the whole thing with the JetBlue employee come in and the jump? Maybe it goes like this. Maybe the...
airline attendant or whatever is like, sir, you cannot be in the lavatory, blah, blah, blah. He comes out after a couple of hours and he files a lawsuit and says that he was told to go sit in there. So you're saying none of the other stuff happened? Maybe none of it's true. And the reason that JetBlue's not commenting is because this guy's a Lulu head. He's got to have witnesses or something to the effect. Or otherwise they'll just get thrown out. Well, and you would think that... I don't know that we've got... What we know now is that something has been filed. And as soon as... any kind of facts are gathered, it could be thrown out. But all we know right now is a lawsuit's been filed. Yeah, but, you know, if I worked for JetBlue or any company and somebody filed a lawsuit that had no merit and I was 100% sure there was no merit to it, I would say that. That would be my statement. I don't know that a lawyer would take the case without having, like, evidence. Wait. Now, that is one take. That's one take for sure. If I'm a company, when it comes to legal matters, I don't say anything, and that's policy. Whether we're guilty, whether we're not guilty, whether it's ridiculous, whether it has merit, our policy is we do not comment on lawsuits. And I get that, but if it's my company and I'm 100% sure that this did not happen and that this is a crazy purpose. How are you sure?
Well, because, you know, you talk to everybody you ask, you know, and if you're 100 percent sure and this is tarnishing the name of your good company, I would completely say we believe this lawsuit has no merit. So then let's say dude has like seven passengers that come forward to your four crew members and. say, yeah, what he said is true. Now, as a company, you've made this statement, and I sue you for slander now. No, I just said we believe it has no merit. Now, not only am I suing for putting me in the bathroom and making me stay in the bathroom, now I'm going to sue you even more because now you made me look like a fool. That's not slander. You made me look like a fool. That's not slander. Whatever that is. What is that? That's nothing. Defamation of character. That's not. It is defamation of character. You said the guy made up the story. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because that's what we're basing it on. Okay, but wait, wait, wait. So how can he get seven people? We're talking about the whole deal. We're talking about two different things. I'm just throwing out there as a maybe. What if nothing actually happened? And this guy's saying, well, if nothing actually happened and you can ask people, you'd make a statement. Well, I'm saying I don't think you can ever not really know. I don't think you can get there until you're able to have lawyers. That's the word. Depositions. I don't know that there's been depositions.
Your statement's real. It means that you've got to bring somebody in. Up until then, it's just he said, she said. And so if I sue and I say I'm walking in the hallway, all of a sudden Sky hit me in the face with a piece of baloney. She does that all the time. She does it all the time. We all know it. We all know she does it. They call her baloney Sky around here. It's not really baloney. It's ham. And it's fried. Ham? What just happened? What I'm saying is. Yeah. If I said that, if I said that, it's ridiculous. It's the most stupid, ridiculous thing ever. But if I go to HR and I say it, even though it's crazy, and they go to Skye and they go, did you hit Mikey in the face with a piece of bulletin? She goes, what? No. If I file a lawsuit, guess what? Skye's going to a deposition. She's going to have to sit in a room with a lawyer and tell a lawyer officially I didn't do it. Now, if that happens. But hold on. If there are employees from the company standing around and a ton of witnesses, they obviously are going to have... Check it out. Now, check this out. More evidence than just... Check it. Let's say you got all six members of the show saying, Sky didn't hit Mikey with any piece of baloney. Yeah, they'd have my back. They'd have her back.
Her baby back, baby back, baby back, baby back. Please, focus. Well said. Skies, baby back ribs. Defamation of character. I could be out on a limb here. And some attorney. If you're an attorney, call me, turkey. Oh, there you go. But I think that this is the case. If you file a lawsuit. You have like to go through a certain protocol. I don't think that. What about frivolous lawsuits? You can't file a frivolous lawsuit. I think that when you file frivolous lawsuits, it has to get to a certain point for someone to say it's frivolous. And then you're in trouble. Absolutely. So you're kind of held by the law to what you claim in your lawsuit, even though you haven't been deposed yet. 100%. And I understand that. 100%. But you still have to be held responsible for what you say in your filing. Absolutely. If what you're saying is a bunch of, you know, turkey. Hooey. Hooey. Gobbly gook. Gobbly gook. You're messed up. Gobbly gook.
But you have to get to that point. I don't think that it's enough for HR to be like, I talked to six people. They all said nothing. We're good. I have a question. Go ahead, Ash. Could it be one of those cases? Now, I'm just throwing this out there, Mike, because I don't know. Could this be one of those cases where maybe it was like one of those situations where like the guy had like really, really bad gas or something. And so they were like, sir, can you please like go to the restroom? So they asked him to go to the restroom for some reason. And he like takes that as them. like making him go to the restroom because he's, you know, has gas or something. I never, ever thought of that. Sir, can you please go to the restroom? You're disrupting other people. And so he goes, but then he goes, oh, this could be a great lawsuit. I'll sue them because they forced me and I wasn't ready. I purchased a goat through a charity which will be delivered to a needy family in the third world. Sean.
You make me laugh with your insults. Boston Rob. Am I just an idiot? And Ashley. I use a lot of toilet paper. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. It's a Mikey Show. It's 9.06. The death toll from yesterday, 7.9 earthquake in China is now over 12,000. LeBron James and Cleveland tied up their series with Boston last night at two games apiece. Seth just said that they're coming out with a new iPhone next month. It's supposed to be pretty cool. I have the iPhone now, but I don't like using it that much. I do use it for email, but it kind of bothers me. It takes a while. If you send an email, it takes a little bit for it to refresh and get the email kind of thing. But what I heard was that they're going to have this new thing called Push Email, which is what we have at work.
Did you get my email, Mike? I just sent one. It's not funny, Mike. It's juvenile. That's funny, man. Yeah, so as soon as you click send, pretty much, it will call in, nerd. He just sent me an all-caps IM that says, talk about it. He probably knows more, but the push email is I click send, you get it. Boom, instantly. The other cool thing is, is that it's supposed to have like regular high speed. And it'll also do this thing where if you're a person at work that updates your calendar, like a meeting changes, like time changes, you're going to have a meeting this morning at 10, it's on your calendar. And it's a meeting that a whole bunch of people are on. If the meeting changes to one o'clock.
As soon as you put it in there, it changes on everybody's iPhone automatically. That's cool. So it's going to be some cool stuff. Faster internet, blah, blah, blah. How much will it be, Seth? I think I hear it was around $600. Could be wrong, though. That's a lot. All I want to know is can I have your old one when you get the new one? Yeah, could I do that? Like, could you use it? I've got dibs on it. I just called it. I said it like a year ago. You can afford it. No, I didn't. I did. I did. I have a contract. I think I heard him. Thank you, Sean. Witness JetBlue in your face. Can you do that? Can you say to somebody here, I'm not going to use this one anymore, and then the person uses it? I don't think so. Absolutely. I'll sell it for parts. Ike, I don't think so. You're going to have to give it to me. No, you don't even like technology. I hate technology. You don't even like the internet, dude. Throw it away for you. You have like a rotary phone for a cell phone. That's funny. Oh, my God. I'm not here. Do you think it's... Hello? Hey, guys. It's Dr. Wayne calling in. Dr. Wayne, why are you calling in? I just want to let you know, guys, I'm a chiropractor in the area, and I also specialize in deep tissue and Swedish massage. We've heard you've told us that before. Multi-talented. Anyway, just catching you guys on the eight-second delay here, and I was noticing that you guys were talking about the old iPhone. That is true. We were talking about that. Yeah, you know, it's funny that you were mentioning it, because I heard, you know, Zeth, he's my favorite character there on the Mikey show. We know. And I heard Zeth say,
that basically the deal is that he's looking for Mikey's old iPhone. Well, you did say that. Can you help him out? Well, it just so happens... It's funny that you mention that, Ash. I actually have a few extra iPhones laying around my Xboxes. How about that? What? Yeah, I never mentioned that I've got like Xbox in every room. You do? That's cool. Not to mention a high-definition DVD with the movie 300. Wow. You are a man. Yeah, for sure. I like to ride dirtbags and I'm into cars. Dirtbags or dirt bikes? You like to ride Rob? Oh. What's up? No comment. So anyway, yeah. Oh, yeah. Wow. Look over here. I was checking out Zeth's blog this morning. You know, I subscribed to it. Well, not everybody can check it out. And so anyway, I was on there checking it out. And, you know, it looks like Zeth has been a little down in the dumps. I wanted to see if you wanted to go over and ride the roller coaster in Mission Valley this weekend. Mission Valley has a roller coaster? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, the Big Dipper over there. Mission Beach? What did I say? Mission Valley? Mission Valley. Oh, man, I must have been thinking about where I play paintball for free.
Paintball. That's right. I get free paintball anytime I want. Plus, I've got, oh, about 400 Dave & Buster's cards in my Trans Am right now as we speak. Just got a new hand he's put in there. Hello. Dr. Wayne, you sound like a pretty cool cat. I am a very, very, you know, most guys tell me that I'm a lot of fun to hang out with because I'm a man's man. Zez, why don't you give him a chance? Yeah, Zez, you need friends. Yeah, you have no friends. That's true. You're all alone. You can use anyone right now. Sounds like I could help you out then, Jeff. I got an iPhone and a case of beer for you. What are you willing to do for an iPhone? Don't ask. Just had the Xbox put in the massage room for when I'm doing the deep tissue and the Swedish massage that I specialize in, have certification in. I thought you'd need an Xbox. I also have one in the beer room, one in the Playboy magazine room. You have a lot of rooms. Your wife lets you do all these rooms? Oh, yeah. Well, you know, my wife. Uh-huh. My wife is a very understanding lady. She sounds cool. Just so happens she's out of town for the next eight months. Oh, eight months? Eight months? Where'd she go? Deployment. Wait. That's right, West Nack. Wow. Really? Out to sea, Eddie. Oh, no. Out to sea. You're going to miss her, I bet. Is that still there?
He left. He got deployed as well. Where'd he go? He's on his back. Anyway, so, hey, Zed, do you like that Dance Dance Revolution? No. Yeah, most guys aren't into that. I do. Dr. Wade. Ashley likes it. Who's that, Ashley? Yeah. It means we got more than one person that's interested in playing it, so we better put all the names into a hat here. Okay. Let me pull one up. Let's do this. Hang out. Zed's just one. Dance Dance Revolution tickets over here at Dr. Wayne's place. This is so weird. What's so weird about it? You're always saying that like I'm some kind of strange person. I'm just trying to catch up with Seth, that's all. Wow, that's weird. Just trying to catch up with him on the blogs and the IMing stuff and all that. He's the only one you seem interested in. You did mention that. All right, guys. Well, I guess I better go. My wife just got back from deployment. That's been eight months. She says that she wants to kiss again, so. Gross, huh? That's all she ever wants to do. No, of course not. Gross, huh? Of course it isn't. That's all I ever like to do is make out with ladies. Kiss girls and make out with ladies and look at their bodies and stuff like that, you know? Check them out in their bikinis and look at them.
Struggling. Boy, I'll tell you what, they're sexy, aren't they, ladies? Aren't ladies sexy? What does a boob feel like, Dr. Wayne? It's real soft and, you know, everything. A bag of sand? That's right. All right, guys, well, I gotta go. I have to go. I have to go. I'm going to go take some Xanax and watch Indiana Jones movies. Oh, that is strange. Talk to you later and go back on my wife, I'll see you. Back on your wife. It's a strange way. Who even says that? Nobody says that. Who even says that? Nobody. It's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Oh, my God. Oh, wow. Text us at 35253. Don't forget keyword hero at Mikey show.com. Ours isn't too bad in the Pacific Beach area. Do you like it, Skye? Yeah. I mean, yeah. You don't like it. Well, I do, no. You want your place that sells the tritone. What's that place called? Skye? Major Market. No, I do love Henry's. Major Market? She loves Major Market. I love Major Market. What's the problem? Is that like New York, L.A.? No, Henry's. Yeah, Chicago's a major market. Los Angeles, San Francisco's a major market. We're a major market, I think. Mid to major. Yeah. But like San Jose is like a large market. Oh, okay. Tucson, small market. Sky. No, it's just. Why do you hate it? What's your favorite place, Sky? I don't. Why do you hate Henry's? Please. Yeah, why do you despise Henry's so much? I do not hate Henry's. I love Henry's. It's just. No, no, no. How come you were blogging about how you wish everybody that goes to Henry's would die? Why were you? I never said that. We hate you. It's just that Henry's doesn't carry everything. What? What does it not carry? Oh, Ash, they don't carry. There's like two things I get at Vons. The 100 calorie popcorn and my low fat cottage cheese. I prefer the brand at Vons. Do they carry tampons? At Vons. I don't think they carry tampons.
That is so disgusting. They do. They do. In fact, they carry Go Green tampons. Yeah, right. It's a bunch of leaves. Cucumber. I'm serious. Here's your organic tampons. That's where you get my face wash. I get my face wash. Arugula. Yeah, great. Here's your natural tampon, arugula. Pepperity period. Yeah, great. They have Go Green tampax there. Or not tampax, tampons. Really refreshing. Hope you enjoy that. It's real sweet. Eucalyptus. Yeah. Why don't you enjoy your Eucalypto brand tampon, right? Okay, please. They don't sell soft drinks. Yes, they do. They sell dumb ones, though. No, they sell delicious ones like Diet Hansons. They're so good, and it's not as bad for you as Diet Coke. No, I said Diet Soda, not fizzy water with flavor. Diet Hansons are so bomb, and they're better for you because they don't have... Talk him into it. Yucky, man. I've had them. You've had Diet Hansons? Yeah. When? When, where, what kind? I promise you. You know where I've had it? I'll tell you where I got it. That Schlotzky's that I can't stand. Schlotzky's Deli? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, come on. Dude, I don't like it, man. Oh, come on. They make sandwiches hot. It's good. They sell those Hansons, those Diet Hansons.
I'd rather have Hanson the band than drink one of those Hansons diet. I like Henry's for their produce and stuff, but besides that, I'm going to. Henry's sells great produce. Henry's sells meat. The meat there is reasonably priced and delicious. It's got cranberries in it. It's where I get my salmon. She's the best, man. All right. P1 nerd. Well, hello. Hi. What's going on, nerd? You going to tell me about the iPhone? Yes, yes. You mentioned it and I got all hot in my van. There you go. So what can you tell me, nerd? What's different about this sucker?
Okay. Well, there's a lot of rumors and who's going around it. And come June is when Steve Jobs is actually going to announce everything that's going on. But the rumors are that the new iPhone will be a little bit thicker and will have faster internet. So you're saying that the email is slow. Well, it's going to go faster. What about, you said email, but what about when you browse the internet? Yeah, it's going to go faster. Good. Can you actually watch... streaming video and stuff? That's the cool thing about the new software patch that's coming out that developers will be able to write their own application for the iPhone and you can download it for free and maybe someone out there is actually making a streaming video application for it. Okay, Sky looks completely bored. I'm going to explain. This is actually really cool, Skye. Yes, Skye. Come on. Just let me get you back. Skye, let me. You're a challenge. I'm just going to write you a letter. No, no, no. I don't need an iPhone, a cell phone. She doesn't want any kind of technology. Neither does my wife. I'll send you a telegraph. She's the worst. Yes, I'm on the phone. Okay, listen. Communicates through pigeons. I know it. The cool thing is, is that you're going to. Ah, forget it. See, here's another thing that I don't like about.
My iPhone. I wish I could talk to Steve Jobs. I would say to him, I would say to him, hey, Steve, when I get a email from somebody that has a picture on it, I want to be able to save the picture on my iPhone. You can't do that? No. They're going to be able to do that in the next software update. Yes. I also want to be able to. Hail the nerd. I also want to be able to send picture texts. Someone might be able to make that in the next software update. You can't do that? No. Eddie's wife actually sends my wife the text pictures and she can't see them. What? No. And I've gotten one ever. Oh. You know what I'm talking about, Eddie? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You can get picture messages? Can't send them either. Can't send them either. That can be frustrating. It's really a bummer, man. Are you going to be able to make movies on this new phone? Hopefully. I've been hearing a lot of stuff. There's going to be, like, video conferencing, they said. All these are just rumors. But the cool thing for everyone to know is that the biggest rumor, $200 for the new iPhone. What? That's it? That's not good. I don't believe it. Put your gobbledygook. Yeah, that ain't true. With a two-year contract with AT&T. Yeah, I'm not, I don't know. I don't believe you. Continue.
Hey, nerd, I got a question. Nerd. I love it. Have you heard any rumors about when iPhone will be available for every network? Oh, people are kind of illegally unlocking it. Yeah. Whoa. Dude, I want it to work. Seriously, I want it to work on Cricket because with my AT&T account that I have to have, it drops everywhere. I know the feeling. Sucks. Like, AT&T has more bars and more places, except for the 805 South. Yeah, and about 50 places I can name. Yeah. Yeah, but, like, I've been trying to research for cricket, but nothing's coming up. Nerd, you should invent, like, this thing where you go on the web and you can, like, talk to people. Yeah, dude. Surf the web, bro. Yeah, dude. Like, you can, like... Type in something and search it and find it. Oh, dude, that sounds crazy. Nerd, you should invent that. Yeah, invent it, nerd. You should be able to invent something for shopping so that you can invent, like, be able to shop on the internet. Yeah, nerd. Hey, nerd, you should invent a thing where you can get, like, music. Yeah, do it. Thank you, dude. Nerd. Thank you, nerd. Yeah, do it. No problem. Invent it, nerd. Invent it. Do it. Do it, nerd. It's P1Nerd.
Do you know who he's got to say? Whatever. Holy hell. So if you think you're in the know, give it to the studio. Right here, brother. That's a baby wave. Baby wave. Mike! You've got to be able to come in on Thursday. Rob, make sure you let him know that. You're coming out Thursday? Rob, you make sure. Rob, make sure. Make sure, Rob. When? Friday? You're coming out Thursday. Wednesday? Mikey's show is off on Friday because I'm getting baptized. It'll be fun day Thursday. Fun day Thursday. We can push it up again. That's right. All right, I told him, Wednesday. The idea is that whoever wins P1 Trivia gets to come into the studio and hang out the entire show long. Yeah. You get a backstage pass. You get to hang out in the studio with us and chill. And we bring in food, too. Yep. Crazy. Percentage game.
Percentage of chance that Zeth has told the food people that it's Thursday. Eddie put up his hand and said 0%. He made the sign for 0% Sky. He's going live. Oh, that's true. I didn't even take that into account. 10%. Did you say 10% Sky? Yeah. I'm going to go that there is a 4% chance. Can I say negative? You want to go negative, like negative 80% chance. No negative. And I just want to remind Zeth that he has immunity. No pressure. Listen, you have immunity. If you didn't, it will not affect anything. I mean, I wouldn't blame you. It was a tough thing to have to remember. Ashley, percentage of chance that Zeth remembered to make the food people come in on Thursday instead of Friday? I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say 150%. You're such a jerk. You're such a good friend. You're such a good friend. That's condescending. Rob, percentage of chance. 73. 73% chance that he did it, that he got it taken care of. Oh, I didn't know that was what you were asking. We will now go to Zeth, who is a lot like Charlie Brown. You blockhead. Zeth, did you remember to tell the food people that they need to come in on Thursday? I set it up Tuesdays after the show, so I haven't even talked to them yet. Oh, look at that. I'm right.
Nobody wins. Nobody wins. He didn't do it. He didn't do it. Well, but he hasn't even made arrangements yet. Too bad. So why win? If we didn't play P1 trivia, percentage of chance Zeth would have remembered to say, Eddie's holding up the sign for zero. Man, he's good, huh, guys? Zeth, you tell us. Would you have remembered? Probably not. No, I didn't think he would have remembered. That's why we like him. I love him. He's an honest guy. He's an honest person. He's talented, and he's sweet, and he's good-looking. Never heard of him. Never heard of him. Eddie says we have to break. Wait, what? How about we keep on the line? We'll play as soon as we get back. How can you stay on the line? Wow. Don't treat me like this. How about you? So what are we doing, Eddie? We have to break if we want to stay on time. If not, we'll be super late. Whatever, man. Yes, I'm on the phone. Well, I'm sorry. Hold on. You got nothing going on, lady. Fine. Well, this is what we do. Take a quick time out. We'll be right back. I promise. BRB. BRB. Yeah, when we come back. BRB. Yeah. Was that like a... BRB. BRB. Bring your own barbecue. Be right back. That's it? I thought it was ITIH. I think I have herpes. Is that what I have? Counting next time.

Welcome to another Cable Fable Story Minute brought to you by AT&T. Once upon a time, there was a city mouse that came to stay in the country. He was a fast-talking mouse who told wild stories about inexpensive cable and exotic cheeses. Now, every mouse in the Tri-County area was taken in by his tall tails. Every mouse but one. Enter the city, said the country mouse. The cable might seem inexpensive, but you end up paying aged Parmesan prices for mild cheddar cheese, squeaked the country mouse. Hit the brakes, pal. Tell the truth. I saw the beer cans in the trash out front. Beer cans? Where? Show me. What do you call these? Those are cans of Tecate Light. That's not beer. That's cerveza. Oh, come on. Beer, cerveza. It's the same thing. No, no, no. Beer and cerveza is not the same thing. Of course it is. Is it the same thing if I say te quiero or I love you? No, it's not the same. You see, just like amar, querer is not the same. Beer and cerveza is not the same either. I know what you mean. Sorry, honey. I love you. Te quiero. Tecate Light. Mexico's number one cerveza light. It's not beer. It's cerveza. Enjoy Tecate Light responsibly 2007. Cervezas Mexicanas, White Plains, New York.

You will find a brief delay around an accident involving a car in a big rig south 5 near Harvard Drive and Oceanside. Getting past that, the commute traffic is still hanging on here out of Encinitas towards Solana Beach. And then it also slows again around an accident clearing near Genesee. And then one more time around Caltrans Cruise. They're working in the fast lane just past the 52, and that's got you braking around them into Mission Bay. On the westbound side of the 8th, an earlier accident is still wrapping up here, just past East Main Street, or West Main Street, rather, has a brief delay around that, and then you're good to go into Mission Valley. Here's something you may have missed this morning on The Mikey Show. But I'll tell you what, it means so much, folks, to be here. I'm Dr. Phil, and I heard what this email was, this mother, Ricky, here. Let me tell you something right now. Sticky, first of all, you got to be sure that your daughter is borrowing, I say in finger quotes, borrowing your clothes and not stealing them, finger quotes. Or maybe she's trying to help you by getting rid of your moo-moos and throwing them into the trash.
Maybe trying to make you a little bit more hip. Did you ever think of that, Ma? Why would your teenage daughter want to wear old lady clothes anyway? Don't flatter yourself, Ma. She's probably selling them for crack addictions. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Welcome back to The Mikey Show. It is 9.42. It looks like the weekend box office estimates were a bit off, and Speed Racer was actually the number three movie of the weekend, only making $18.6 million. The Chargers re-signed their long snapper, David Venn, to a four-year extension. Guy's going to be 82 when it runs out. Even though Survivor was over. Survivor Micronesia? Live on Sunday. Parvati? No.
Isn't that the fat soprano? It's one of the three tenors. Pavardy. Parvati. Oh, that's a dog disease. That's Parvati. Then you're talking about that Parvati. That's a cheese or is that a... That's Pavardy. Pavardy. Like we're going to have a Pavardy this weekend. Everyone will be really ridiculous. We will on Friday, right? You worked it out. Welcome back to the show. It's the Mikey Show. We were right about to do a little P1 trivia when we left. And so let's get the two contestants on the line. We got P1 Roach. What's up, dude? Nothing much, Mikey. What's going on? Not too much. Let me get some info from you, all right? All right. How old are you? I'm 19. 19. All right, Roach. And how long have you been listening? About three years now. Okay. And your contestant is P1 Spider-Man.
And let's see. P1 Spider-Man, you there? Yes, sir. How old are you? I'm 20 years old. 20. How long have you been listening? About two years or so. Two years. Pretty even matchup. Okay, cool. Roach, we're starting with you. All righty. Two insects. Give me two, guys. You got it. Okay, now, just for anybody that's new listening to the show. It's Mikey Show Trivia. All the questions are about the Mikey Show. You got one, two, and three-point questions. Ones are easy, threes are hard. First person to five points is the winner. It's very, very simple. And P1 Roach wants to start with a two-point question. Are you ready? Yep. Okay. What is the name of the segment on the show where P1s can call in to get Mikey's advice on their personal situations? Ask Mikey. That is correct. Oh, nice one. I didn't think he was going to get it. It is correct. I don't think he was going to get it. That's right. He did really well. Let's do a good job, buddy. All right, let's go over to Spider-Man, though. Spider-Man, what do you want, a one, two, or three-point question? Two. Two-pointer. Your question is, what was Boston Rob's latest parody song? It was a Mother's Day song, wasn't it? What was it called? Oh, Sweet... Mom's name, I forgot. Sweet Adeline. Sweet Adeline. Sweet Adeline. Spider-Man.
P1 Roach, a one, two, or three-pointer? I'm going to take the sky route, guys. I'm going with a two. You got it. What music does Mikey play when he talks about his... Oh, man, nobody would know that ever. Whoa, that is the hardest question ever. Can I read you what the question was? Yeah, I'd love to. What music does Mikey play when he talks about his childhood? Oh, wow, we'd never say it. It's the theme from the Incredible Hulk TV series. That should be a nine-point question. Okay. Your two-point question is, other than the Chargers, what is Eddie's favorite football team? Ooh, 49ers. That is correct. Good. You want a Roach? Now has two points. Four points. Four. Yep. Four. Sorry about that. Roach now has 18 points. Wow. Halfway there, buddy. Spider-Man, you going to try to catch up here? Yeah, let's go for three. You got it. Come on, Roach. Come on, Roach. Let's see. Your three-point question is, where does Zeth work for his second job? It's a good one. It's a good one.
I'm trying to think too. Work it out, dog. I don't know. The manhole. The answer is Best Buy. Seth works at Best Buy. Okay. All you need is a one-pointer, Roach. Let's do it. One point. Here is your one-point question. Your one-point question is, who is the youngest member of the Mikey show? Did Roach get one right? I'm sorry, Spider-Man. Spider-Man, I'm so sorry, dude. You're not a winner this time. Try again, okay, man? I feel so bad for him. Listen, usually when they get one right, I'm pretty lax on that. P1 Roach, you are coming in on Thursday, brother. Hang on the line.
Usually when somebody gets one right, I try to be really cool so you come in, but we'll let Roach come in there. That was a sweep. That was. Let's see. Hey, Mikey, earlier you were saying that Ashley has a five-year-old dryer that's nothing when I have one that my mother had when I was a teenager and I'm now 32. Get out. Signed P1 Bobby. Why? Why? Why? I can't believe that. Why? Mikey, I once faked an injury to get out of a Monday Night Football game. Sincerely, Joe Theismann. Wait a second. That is absolutely disgusting. I don't think it was a fake. That is disgusting. His bone was in there. It's disgusting. It's what? Nothing, Sky. You do not want to know that. Sky, sometime YouTube. No, no. Monday Night Football, Joe Theismann leg break. No, no. No, thank you. YouTube that. You know it's bad. When one of the toughest guys in all of football, Lawrence Taylor, looks scared to death. Freaked out. Plays for the other team. Yeah. And Joe Theismann, his opponent, his leg is broken. And he's frantically looking over to the sideline going, we need help. We need help. You've got to get help out here. There's the play that ended Joe Theismann's career. Compound fracture of his leg. Tragic. Yeah, it was.
There's a bad one. Let's see. The suspects in the Sean Taylor shooting are not going to get the death penalty. No. The actual shooter at the time of the shooting was a minor. And you cannot have the death penalty if you're a minor. And the other kids that were involved, I guess, they're not going to charge them with the death penalty. Earlier, I told you that there was a band coming to San Diego, a big band, coming to San Diego. They're going to be touring across the country using the name the Foxboro Hot Tubs. And they're coming to San Diego. And when they're in San Diego, Sky, where will they play the Foxboro Hot Tubs? Yeah, the Foxtail Hot Dogs. Where are they going to play? When they come to San Diego, they will be playing in a very smaller venue. Much smaller venue they usually play if they were to come to. Yes.
So, Skye. The Foxboro Hot Tubs will be playing Soma May the 26th. There you go. And who are the Foxboro Hot Tubs, Skye? That is Green Day. Green Day. Whoa. It's a big band, man. Yes. But here's the deal. What? There's a catch? Well, there's kind of a catch. I'll catch it. Throw it up. You have to have the flu if you go to the show. That's the only way they'll admit you. Skin infection. It's a big band. You have to eat raw salmon. I'll do it. So tickets will only be available at the venue box office, and they will only go on sale the day of the show. They will be priced at $20 each. You need cash, and there's a two-ticket max. That is awesome. So Soma, May 26th, the Foxboro Hot Tubs, a.k.a. Green Day. How do you like that? Dude, they are the best in concert. Really? They are so, I've seen them two times, and I've seen a lot of concerts, and they are, like, probably in my top five. Whoa. So good. Whoa. That sounds good to me. One time, like, they had this chicken up on stage. All right. With a water gun. They were shooting the audience. Rock 105.3. Hey, America.

That's 888, the number 4, letter A, CHPJOB. Or visit chp.ca.gov. Let's give it a news tease. KOZ San Diego. Welcome back. What are you? Whoa. Let's see. What's going on, Mike? Oh, what about this? There's a new study that says who's happier, old or young people. What do you guys think? I say unequivocally old people are happier. You would think on the surface that they're grumpy. No way, man. Think of Avril Lavigne. Kids are mad. Yep.
Back in my day. Yeah. Old man Eddie. Old man Eddie. What are you doing here? Whoa. Back in your day what? I haven't talked to you for years. Yeah, old man Eddie. What a while. I was in the hospital. Oh. Back in my day, we weren't allowed to. Wait a minute. You've been in the hospital for four years? How is that? A long time. Come on. Oh, wow. You just got out of it? Yeah. How do you feel? Pretty good. No, it's good. So do you, are you, do you think old people are? Back in my day. Right. Got that part. Right. We weren't allowed to be happy. You weren't? Wow. There was like laws and rules? They would tease you. You had a smile on your face. They didn't tease you. I don't think tasers were around back in your day. They weren't even there. Were you there? Exactly. Scott, you were there. Scott, you weren't even there. Why do you know? He's got you. He could say anything about it. No. He would drop a bomb on you. Wait a second. What's that mean? I don't know about that. Old Man Eddie. Were you there? All right. Easy. Exactly. We weren't there. Maybe they did drop bombs on you back then. We don't even know. Maybe like tiny bombs. Yeah, it was little tiny ones. Yeah, tiny bombs. What? Tiny bombs. Interesting. There's a bomb cluster. Tiny bombs. No, it's tiny bubbles. Were you there? No, actually I wasn't. So he may have been right. It may have been.
You can't just say were you there every time you want to make a point. Yeah, but we weren't there, Sean, so how do we know? You got me there. Yeah, that works every time. Wow, it really does. So who's happier, old people or younger people? Yes, the study shows that older people are more happy. They are happier because they have lower expectations of life. That is awesome. Oh, man. They've kind of, you know, they've come to accept what's going on here, and they're okay with that. They say that your happiness level can rise 5% for every 10 years. Because I'm going to die soon. Your happiness. Raises by 5% every year you're alive? Every 10 years. Oh, every 10? Yeah. You're like, oh man, I'm 70, I'm still alive, woo-hoo! That means that in a couple years, I'll be like, I'll be 5% happier than when I turn 30. Nice work. Makes sense. That makes sense. I got a lot more going for you. Well, not only that, but you also like, you just don't, you don't put up with the, you don't keep it in. Like, you tell people in the grocery store line.
Yeah, you figured more stuff out. You have way figured more stuff out. But when you're in the grocery line, you'll say to somebody, can you please hurry? Where you would never say that. There's no repercussion. There's no repercussion because you're old. And they think you're nuts. See, my grandma gets away with everything. It's true. She's freaking so old. It's true. When you get older, man, you're just not willing to put up with stuff. She milks it. Old. She milks it. Yeah. What is that? Sky, do you have new releases for us? Yes, I do, Mike. I would love to hear what new releases are coming out. Are they going to be good? Yeah, they're great. Hey, wait. Before you do, I don't want to skip this because I found it pretty funny when Zeth sent it to me. What? Zeth said that last night when he was working at Best Buy, he had an odd experience with a close talker. Oh, I hate close talkers. I do too, man. There's two people I don't understand. I don't understand the obsessive forwarder and I don't understand the close talker. You just got to up them. Well, it doesn't mean that the obsessive forwarder and the close talker are bad. It just means that I'm so far from the obsessive forwarder and the close talker. I like to give people lots of space when I'm talking to them. You should try the opposite. And I never send, well, I don't never, not never.
I very rarely send forwards. I will forward people an email thing maybe twice a year. My brother is a very particular type of forwarder. He forwards the, if you don't forward this, you're going to have bad luck. Oh, I hate those. That's so awful. Those I have no problem clicking. Delete. I absolutely do. But then I got to read about how I'm like going to. My firstborn is going to die and all this stuff. And I'm like, thanks. Well, the worst for me is the forwards because the forwards, I don't think they're funny. They're normally horrible. Yeah. The only good ones are usually videos with guys getting hurt. Those are always funny. No, never. Videos of cats. Cats getting hurt? Yes. No, opposite. Those are sad. Sky. You're okay with people forwarding you stuff that has to do with cute cat stuff? Yes. For real? She sits back in the office and is like, dude, dude. And then I forward them on. I send them to your wife. I send them to my mom. I send them to Sean's wife. You don't get annoyed when you get the same ones? Like you're like, oh, I've seen this stupid cat one like 50 times. With all the pictures, I get a lot of duplicates. But normally the videos are normally originals. Like the Mean Kitty song. Oh, so good.
So good. I can say this because my mother-in-law is out of town. YouTube it. But my mother-in-law, not to me, my mother-in-law will send the forwards on. Now, she doesn't believe that she sends them that often. But I would say two, three times a week. Two, three times a week. That is a lot. Dude, I know people that will send forwards every day. And multiple times a day they'll send the forwards. I shamed my cousin Gino out of it. How did you do it? I finally, in front of a group of people, said, dude, if you send me one more forward and they're always horrible, I'll kick your ass. And he stopped. Can a forwarder call me? 570-1053. I promise I'll be nice. I just want to know what's up. I do, man. I've never talked to a forwarder about forwarding. I've nipped a lot of mine in the butt. I'll just email them and go, can you please take me? Ashley, we've got to correct this because she's written it to me before, the nipping in the butt. What happened? You're not nipping in the butt, Ashley. It's sticking. Ash, you're nipping it in the bud. The bud. The B-U-D. Not the butt. You don't nip it in the butt. What's the deal with that? How's that? You're smart.
570-1053. Mikey Show. Yes. Yes. He used to forward stuff to Mikey, and he actually told me to quit forwarding him stuff. Maybe I did. No, I did too. Sometimes you have to, man. You have to. Of course. Sometimes you have to. Good job. It was a little tough love, dude. Yeah, it probably was tough love. What kind of stuff were you sending? It was actually funny stuff. It was funny to you. That's good, dude. That's the problem right there. That's the problem. Tough love it is. Tough love. The person, listen, the person that forwards stuff never thinks it's not funny. Of course. They only send it because they think it is funny. Right. It's garbage. Now, I have a question, P1 forwarder. I'm going to say your P1 forwarder. I have a question for you. Yeah. What, how many, now, you got to be honest because I bet it's 100. So, you got to be honest. How many people are on your forward list? Approximately? Only about 15. Oh, come on. There's more than 15 on there, bro. Only about 15. And honestly, I only sent you maybe one out of like maybe 20 things that got forwarded to me. If I thought it was really funny, I'd send it to you. Okay. Now, I want to know. I want to know what you actually think is the answer to this question. If you were to tell all the people on your forward list, I want you to be really honest with me, you guys.
Would you like me to continue or cease my forwards? Yes. What do you think that they would say? And I want you to answer honestly. So maybe the answer is, oh, I believe unequivocally they would say continue to forward me. Test it out. These pictures of Americans and 9-11 and the flags and the, you know. Funny jokes. Yes, or the joke, you know, the eight page long joke. You might be a redneck. Don't forget the inspirational stories. You say 50. So wait. Okay. So you say 10 of them would say, oh, please continue to send me the forwards. And you say 10 of them would say cease. Yeah. Okay. But that means that 10 people don't want those forwards. I mean, doesn't that say something? That means that 10 people don't. No, no, no. No, no, no. Yes. Change yourself. Hang on. Change yourself. Wait. No. Hang on. Don't be you. Here's what I think. Here's what I honestly think. I do believe that P1 Forwarder, I believe that when you get the forwards, you enjoy them, and that's why you send them on. So I do believe that there is a group of people that fall into the I enjoy forwards category. There is nothing wrong with that. But when you set up an email account, there should be a little button that you click that says,
Do you love forwards? Yes, absolutely. And there should be a button that says, do you not love forwards? It's garbage. And then the first time that you ever get. Do you know about chocolate? What do you know about? Do you know anything about chocolate? That's the chocolate I'm talking about. And so when you get an email for the first time from someone. No, he did. When you're using this new email program. It automatically sends them an email back that really politely says, I really appreciate you taking the time to forward me on this hysterically funny joke. But, you know, my email gets a bit clogged. If you could so graciously as to take, you know, remove me from your forward list. You jerk. I know you'll like them. I love them. Thank you very much for the call, P1 Forwarder. 570-1053, please call me if you are a forwarder. Go ahead, Ash. Okay, so my boyfriend is a forwarder. Get him on the phone right now. Get him on the phone. But let me say, can I preface? So he told me that he only forwards really, really funny stuff, right? Oh, that's what they all say. That's what they all say. So it's so funny.
were talking about this because I checked my inbox and I was like, I think I got a forward from my honey. And I went and I just opened it and it's a video and it is actually pretty funny. Okay. Now, how often do you get forwards from him? Probably like once a week. Do you find them all funny? At least. Be honest. She doesn't. I can see it on her face. She does not. Say it. She doesn't. That he really liked and his friends and him had this like inside joke with it, but I necessarily didn't quite think it was as funny as. Let me tell you. When I first got on the internet, it was like 95. And in 95, yeah, yeah, get him on. 1895? 1895, I got on the internet. Nice. And I thought that forwards were hysterical, but I'm telling you, it didn't last till 96. Yeah. It did not last till 96. I am a do not send me forwards guy. Humor's relative, man. We all have our own things. Yes. We find funny. And so if you find it hysterical. That's great. Enjoy it. There's a gal. I don't need it. There's a gal that writes to my work email. She doesn't work here. She's a listener. And I have so politely asked and they still come to the point where I don't even think that she, you know, it must be like her forward account. Like that must be all she does on that account. P1 Annie. Hey. Hi, Annie.
I'm a forwarder, but... Wait, wait, wait. Let's ask some questions. Let me interview you. Okay. Because this is like having a celebrity on for me. I'm actually talking to a forwarder. And so, how long have you been forwarding? The thing is, I agree with you on... No, no, no, no, no, no. Please, please, Annie. Answer the questions, lady. You must allow me to interview you, and I beg you to be fearlessly honest in your answering. Okay. How old are you? 25. How long have you been on the internet? Probably since I was 15. And have you been forwarding all 10 years? I admit, once I started working in the office. So it became like an office thing. Once you started in the office, they started coming in and then you started sending out. Yeah, precisely. Okay, now how long has that been? Probably five years. About five years. About five years. Okay, so about when you were 20. Now, on an average day,
In fact, are you sitting at your desk right now? Yes, I am. Can you please click on your sent folder, please? Oh, I did not send news today. You did not send. Okay, can you please go to yesterday? Okay, yesterday. I want you to count the FWs. Count how many FWs are in your outbox. Forward, forward, forward. Forward, forward, forward. The thing is, I'm courteous. No, no, no. Annie, please. Annie. Please count how many FWs are in your scent box from Monday. Oh, Monday's a good day for them, too. Yeah, it is. Because over the weekend, you know? Yep, yep, yep. You mean how many people it took for it to come to me? I mean... Or how many did I send it to? How many did... Yes, yes, yes. Three people. How many? Three. So they were sent to three people. How many did you send? Just one. Just one to three people yesterday? Yeah. Not bad. How about Friday? I'm saying there's a limit. How about Friday? Friday, I think I sent one Friday to like five people. That's my point, and there's a limit. People go too far, and they send cheesy stuff. They send lame stuff. What's your limit? I send only funny things, and I keep it simple. What's your limit?
What do you mean by limit? You said there's a limit. What's the limit? There is a limit. I don't send the cheesy stuff. Well, she said she only sends the funny stuff, so maybe she could tell us what her last forward was about. Yeah, what was your last forward about? Well, actually, it wasn't that funny. It was kind of disturbing. Okay, you just said. You just said. You always said the funny stuff. I'm sorry they're lashing out. I'm sorry. See, that's the deal. You're never going to find a forwarder, Annie, that says, well, you know, a lot of times I send not funny stuff at all. I'm going to do what you said. I'm going to write everyone that I forward and ask them what they prefer. This is the way you should do it. I'm going to tell you the way that you do it in a very discreet way. You guys tell me if this is good or if there's a way to make it nicer and sweeter. But I would think that you would say, listen, If you would like for me to continue to forward you emails, please reply with the word continue. That's perfect. If you don't get an email back that says continue, you got to take them off your list. I think I'm doing my favor, though. It gets lonely. You're not. No, Annie. Annie, Annie, Annie. I just got an email from you.
I'm telling you, Annie, you're not. Dude, my mom appreciates it. She can stay on. Your mom will write you back and she'll say continue. Continue, mija. Continue, yes. Whatever. Try it out, Annie. She knows. Thank you, Annie. That is forward Annie. P1 Gunslinger. Hey, good morning. What's up? a lot of forwarding, but I'm also a hypocrite in the aspect that I hate it when I get forwards from stupid people. Or stupid forwards. Let me rephrase that. Practice what you preach, bro. I'm telling you, man. Usted esmudo. People are not digging your forwards. But what I do is I categorize them on who would want what sent to them, and I don't waste people's time by sending out... You know, just hit me forward. That's part of the problem, Gunslinger. The forwarder always has, like, a reason, an excuse, or, like, a system. Yes. And it's always messed up. Ay-yi-yi. You say pow. Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi. It goes through a couple channels before it hits me.
You know, their sense of humor, they'll put it to you this way, they live in Idaho on a farm. Hey, dude. Let me tell you something. The person in the Idaho farm is going, this guy Gunslinger sends me stuff. He must be living in some big city like San Diego. And you are. Thank you. Where's Mark? He's not on the line anymore. He sounded pissed. I don't know. Please stop calling me. That he forwards? Yes. I don't know. Like, he was like, well, what email did I even forward you this morning? Like, he was getting defensive, and I'm like, just forget it. Oh, Mark, take a breath. Come on, Mark. You're fine, sweetie. Utah tied the series at two. I'm just trying to have a little fun here, you know. Utah tied the series at two. That's what I'm saying, Eddie. He's a big Jazz fan, so I'm trying to make him feel better. There you go. Yeah. There it is. So, Sky has new releases. Oh, yeah. Oh, talk about it. Sky. Oh, Sky be cool. Ski ball. New video games out today. The Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Cassidy. Narnia. Narnia. Xbox 360, PS3, PS3. Narnia. Calm down, Rob. We have Major League Eating, the game. Oh, I thought it was Major League. For Wii.
He comes to your house and you got to feed him. It's a great game. It's really fun. Watch your fingers. I got a high score. Toki Tori for the Wii. Toki Tori. Tori's spelling and she sits there and smokes marijuana throughout the entire game. It's called Toki Tori. It's fun. Rocket Man, it came from your Uranus for Xbox 360. Sky, you know there's FCC rules. That's the name of the game. That's the name of the game. It's right here. I got it off of... Whatever, Howard. Yay! Home on! Deca Sports for the Wii. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. My Life is King for the Wii. What just happened to the radio? Wii C for the Wii. Last 30 seconds. And Assault Heroes 2 for Xbox 360. What just happened? There you go. All right. New music out today. Okay. Filter has a new album out today. It's called Anthems for the Damn. He has such a cool voice. What's his name? Richard Patrick. Richard Patrick. Autry.
He's the brother of the guy that was the cop in Terminator 2. Oh. That is true. Robert Patrick. Robert Patrick. Yeah. That's right. Also out today, we have Jason Mraz with We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things. Before the cool done run. Yeah. Jack Johnson called. Eddie, you can't say that every time you play a Jason Mraz. Freaking song, okay, bro? So did Dave Matthews. So did all those other. Stop it. This is great. It's a Jungle Book, right? It's a soundtrack to the Jungle Book? Stop it. It's a great song. I listen to farts better than this. Eddie. That's Jason Mraz. Buy a vowel. Be cool. There's an A in it. Another one. Another one. He already has a vowel. Also out today, we have Duffy with Rock Fairy. Oh, yes. Watch out, Amy Whitehouse. Somebody's ripping you off. Look out. But I'm not. on drugs. Is she white? Dude. Is she white? She's blowing up. Question. Answer. Is she white? We said yes. Oh, she's white? Yeah, she was actually here the other day. It will not work unless she's white. It will work because she is able. I just said. She wants to fight you. She wants to fight. I just said you're right. Why is she fighting? I don't know because I told her she's right. I had a statement. I wasn't even really listening to you. I'm not fighting you. I had a statement. Take a breath.
It'll only work if she's white. Okay, then it'll work. Is she white? She is. She's actually blonde. It won't work. It'll work if you have a girl that's white singing like a black girl. It's cool. You never get a black girl singing like a white girl. You don't get it. What's white to be black in America? A black girl wouldn't even care to sing like a white girl. She'd be like, what's the point? I'm not your sister. You know what I'm saying? That's all I'm trying to say. The white man is the devil. Okay. Hold up. Wait a minute. Why is somebody calling me? Hold up. Wait a minute. it up hello i think you're right about that mikey uh the whole thing this is barbara by the way i'm a part-time hillary supporter black woman we know you're not black though i am black i am black i was just listening and i heard the whole thing about yeah how you know uh black women never want to sound like white women which is not true uh i actually am a black woman and a lot of people accuse me of sounding white well you are white
So I have to live with that sucker daily with telemarketers. Every single day. How does that go down? They call. They'll call. And I say, hello, this is Barbara. And they say, hi, would you like to buy a Time Life subscription? And I say, actually, no, thank you. And they say, oh, why not? Because you're white. It would never happen. That would never happen. And I say to them, I go, why are you even saying that? And they said, because I can hear you. You're a white. And I go, I say to them, I look at the phone, I say, how dare you? Really? Barbara, you're lying. Barbara, you're lying. And so then we argue about it a little bit, but luckily I know my black roots, and I can sing Rihanna. I can sing Rihanna. I can sing Mariah Carey music. I don't know one word of Celine Dion's music. Why don't you sing us out? What song would you like me to sing? Anything you want. Well, give me something hip-hop, girl. About Rihanna. Rihanna. Okay. It's Rihanna. I know.
I'll sing my favorite part of the song. Okay. Umbrella, Ella, Ella, A, A. You're just singing. Umbrella, Ella, Ella, A, A, A. That's it? Well said. How about you sing the song that you love? To the left, to the left. Yeah, yeah, yeah. To the left, to the left. All of your things in a box to the left. That's nice. Don't you touch that. That's my stuff. If you'd like it, let's get rough. That's not the word. I thought you said you know all the music. That's not. You need to check yourself. All right, well, I have to go. I'm getting my weave. Getting my weave this afternoon. That's so stupid. Getting my weave on. Okay. Going to get my weave on this afternoon. No one says that. And so, and then I'm going to watch some Judge Millian. Yeah, your nails did. Get my nails did. Right. You can do that every day. I love Judge Millian. And then I'm going to try to get my baby's daddy on the line. Okay. I've been trying to get a hold of him forever. Please, Barbara. And so. Your volume is calling. All right. Got to go. Bye.
She's the worst. So anyway, new releases, huh? She's the worst. All right. We're still doing new CDs. We have Death Cab for Cutie. The worst. Oh, come on. Death Cab for Cutie. That's what they sound like? For the record, this song, it was like four minutes in before this even came up. Come on. Eight minutes long. Four and a half minutes for him to start singing. Like, I thought it was an instrumental song. I'm like, Seth, where's the hook? Four and a half minutes in for this. You gotta be in a dorm and you have to wear glasses that are black rimmed. You have to be way smarter than everybody and have a sensibility like Janine Garofalo. Converse with no socks. Yes, you have to be the girl that was like, you have to be the girl from Juno. is who you have to be in order to get this music. Seth from the OC. Exactly. Yes, definitely. Like, everybody else is, like, lame and dumb and doesn't get it. And then the final CD we have out today is Dokken with Lightning Strikes Again. Is that for real? Yeah. Everybody's been clamoring. Is that, like, Dokken's son? That's them. That's Dokken. That was awesome. Nice.
All right, new movies, new DVDs out today. We have the Indiana Jones The Adventure Collection. It's the first three movies with a whole bunch of... I bought it. I know. They say, sorry, you messed up by already buying it. First three movies. And then a bunch of special extra stuff. But I bought that. Like what? Like a segment on how the melting face effects worked. I bought it. Yeah, there's a bunch of extras. Is it on HD? In here, I don't... What's that? What is this? It doesn't list that here. It just says the collection, the three together is 50 bucks or you can buy each one. You can't buy it there. Don't be ridiculous. Okay. Also out today we have the great debaters. Denzel Washington. Don't want to see it. Okay. Untraceable. Out today. Who's that? Diane Lane, the one where there's like a website. It's the silence of the lambs of the internet. Yeah, there's a website. It's killing people and they've got to track them down before someone dies. All right. Mad Money, Diane Keaton, Katie Holmes, Queen Latifah. Yeah. Anybody? Okay, that's out today. TV shows to DVD, Two and a Half Men, the third season.
Saturday Night Live, the complete third season. And Stargate Infinity, the complete series. How about that? Oh, he's gone. 570-1053 is the phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show. Open phone segment. Call in about anything you want. And yeah, yeah, yeah. Tomorrow what? Tomorrow's Wednesday? Yes, it is all day. Tomorrow's already Wednesday. Can't even believe it. Can't even believe it already. Find out who gets to go see Metallica tomorrow. That's right. Tomorrow morning at 7 o'clock. If you want to send somebody to see Metallica and get them backstage, then go to MikeyShow.com. Type in the keyword hero. My voice is tired. We got to go. My voice is wore out. I slept pretty good last night. Did you? That's good. You know why? Why? I ate way before I went to sleep. It's important. Is it? Yeah. You should eat way before you go to sleep. So you sleep better? Oh, yeah. Is that a scientific fact? It is. Okay. Yeah. No, it really is. If you eat right before you go to bed, your body's digesting the food. Makes sense. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mikey Show. Yo, what's going on? How you doing today, bro? Good, man. Hey, I probably got two things for you. Eddie. Yo, yo, yo. What's up, pimp? Yo, I just seen Iron Man last night, man. Yo, did you see the end of the credits? Dude.
Oh, my God. What's up? Talk about it. Did we tell you better or not? No, I already know, bro. The best. All right, and another thing for you, Mikey. Y'all, I was wondering if you ever heard of the Google phone that's supposed to drop. The Google phone? No, what is it? You're bugging me. Yeah, man. What is it? What is it? What is the Google? What do you mean? Google is supposed to drop a phone. And what is it? Like, what's the deal with it? I'm going to tell you, he's way more advanced than the iPhone. They released his prototype pictures. Google it and see, like, some of the pictures. But it's supposed to drop, like, late June, early July. For real? Yeah, for real. Eddie, quit talking to him. Jive. I'm speaking normal. I'm speaking normal. Eddie's trying to black it up over there. He knows this is my boy. All right, thank you for the call. We'll see you. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey. What's up? Hey, this is P1 Snuff. I want to know on the sticker strike, my girlfriend went through the line and you said she had super pretty eyes and she thought that meant, she wanted to know if that meant you're ugly, but thank goodness you have super pretty eyes. Oh my goodness. That's how we operate. Women, we operate like that. I remember she had these most gorgeous, beautiful, like... Why do you hate her, Mike?
Yeah, that's pretty rude. Thank God she had those eyes, though, huh? Why'd you think the rest of her sucked? Thank goodness she had those super pretty eyes because she thought she was ugly. Way to go, Mike. Breaking hearts all over town. I was standing with oats. That's what you get for giving a compliment, Mike. I give up on life. That's what you get. You know what I mean? Yeah. You can't say anything to anybody. Specifically with women. If you say to a woman, you have beautiful hair. Your hair looks great today. They'll be like, what does it look like? They'll be like, well, what does it look like other days? Ugly? Great. Bunch of jerks. Hey, thanks. Tell her that I think that she's lovely and more than not just her eyes. She's pretty. I'm sure she probably heard you. Thank you. Okay. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey, how's it going? Good. I was just going to say, if you want to talk to someone about faking an injury, you should probably talk to Curt Schilling and his, quote, blood... You know what? Yeah.
What sports team are you a fan of, sir? That's always what he's got to do. I'm curious because last year, I don't know, a playoff game, there was somebody crying on the sidelines. Don't tell him. I don't want to get into nothing. Don't give him anything to be able to deal with. You can say that all you want. Shoot me an email. We'll fight over email. Email fight. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah, it's P1A Town. I just want to say, love your guys' show. Grizzly Bear would totally maw a tiger to death. And I demand you play Sky's Beating. Thank you. Mikey Show, last call. Oh, look at you. Last call. Bring us home. Hey, Mikey Show, love you guys. Always a good show. This is P1 Leonidas. I got a quick question for the Oracle. Go ahead. Hey, the power rankings came out yesterday in the NFL to have the Chargers sitting at number three. Do you think that's good? Yeah, I think if you're in the top five, that's good. I mean, you know, who cares what the experts rank? I mean, it all depends on what happens on the field. So I don't think it really matters. Yeah, I'm really looking forward to hearing you on Sunday mornings and looking forward to the season. I look forward to you, buddy. Hey, you guys rock. I love you. Thank you, Leonidas. Have you seen Eddie's Cavs?
They're gorgeous. Also, the rest of me is disgusting, Mike. All right, we got to go. We'll see you tomorrow morning at 5.30. The lovely and talented Missy is up next today on The Nooner. She's got all request lunch. Back here at 5.30, we'll do the whole thing over again. It's Mikey Show. Out late. Love your mouth.
