This show covers Jake's ER scare, Toddler left in a car, Battle of the Davids, The killer-whale nightmare.
What happened, in order
Jake's ER scare
Mikey and Rebecca rushed Jake to the emergency room after unexplained screaming, back-arching, and constant drinking, only for him to recover while doctors suspected severe gas pain.
Toddler left in a car
Sky watched a toddler who had been left alone in a warm car outside CVS for roughly half an hour, then argued with the crew and callers that no convenience justifies leaving a child unattended.
Battle of the Davids
The crew debated whether David Cook's marketability should outweigh David Archuleta's stronger voice in the American Idol final and wondered whether Archuleta's difficult father influenced the judges.
The killer-whale nightmare
Caller Jade described dreaming that a killer whale grabbed her leg at SeaWorld, validating Eddie's long-running fear of what he calls the black-and-whites.
Battle of the Sexes
Team Awesome and Team Sass traded pop-culture and sports trivia while accusing each other of cheating, with Sean's reluctant Manolo Blahnik answer helping the men win.
The Wind Beneath My Sheets
Mikey unveiled a fart-themed love-song parody about Ashley accidentally passing gas beside Mark, prompting her embarrassment and a flood of delighted listener reactions.
Obama's sweetie dispute
After Barack Obama called a female reporter sweetie without answering her question, the crew split over whether the remark was sexist or merely friendly.
Sean cleans 7-Eleven
Sean revealed that his 7-Eleven clerk now keeps Windex ready so the germ-conscious customer can scrub the store microwave before heating his sandwich.
Chantel's relationship autopsy
Mikey traced Chantel's dating history and argued that betrayal by a cheating college boyfriend may have left her wary of emotional intimacy, while Chantel insisted she had healed and simply wanted the right partner.
Boston Rob gives chase
Boston Rob chased a speeding Mustang after its occupants nearly hit him and glared at him, leading the crew to warn that his road-rage pursuit was reckless.
Finding Chantel a date
Callers pitched themselves as dates for Chantel while Mikey and the crew interrogated them about age, height, race, work, confidence, and whether they could treat her like a princess.
Mikey's baptism testimony
Ahead of his baptism, Mikey described alcoholism, isolation, his father's ultimatum, treatment, and the Christian faith he credits with giving him a new life and hope.

Welcome to the program. Welcome to the program. Basically what we have today is Friday. This is basically like our Friday. We're going to... Take tomorrow off. I'm getting baptized tomorrow. And so show is taking the day off. All the friends are going to be there. And so looking forward to it. We're going to go around the room, introduce everybody, and then we'll get started. I'm the host of the show. My name is Mikey, and I am 37 years old. And I'll tell you about my day in just a second. Eddie is our producer and sports guy. He is 35 years old. Sky's 30. She does news for us. And she's a North County gal. Shawnee, oh boy, he lives in the South Bay. But not the one that you're thinking. He lives in the South Bay area up in San Jose. And we see him on a camera because he doesn't live here in San Diego. But he does our sound effects.
From San Jose. It's beautiful country up here, Mike. It really is not. What? No, it is. It really isn't. Is it or isn't it? Well, if by beautiful you mean industrial, then you are 100% correct. Sounds powerful. It's industrial country up here, Mike. False. Hey, Mike, do you like white cement structures and factories billowing smoke? Come on. It's not that. Come up to San Jose. Smokestacks. It's not smokestacks. That's the name of the city. They call it the city of smokestacks. You know, that's the name of it. Hey, dude. It's like a mini Chernobyl. That's right. It is not Chernobyl. It's just like Chernobyl. There's not even a nuclear reactor up here. You wouldn't know that by going there. Ashley is our assistant producer. She's 24.
Boston Rob is our phone screener, singer, songwriter. And he is 25 years of age. And Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates, the third junior Esquire is a man of all trades, jack of all trades. And he does a lot of internet stuff for us. He does every little bit of minutia. He takes care of it. He's our guy. He's very tall. He also works at Best Buy. And a little later, we've not discussed it on the air. He's given me the green light to discuss the fact that he is no longer with his gal. Oh! Which I thought we had discussed, but he has made clear to me we have not. It's been so long, though. Yeah, we've definitely discussed it off the air, but not on the air. Yeah, well, we're always sensitive to when people feel like it's our right and appropriate to do, and he feels like it's okay to do.
You know, because we like to share our lives. At the same time, you've got to stay sensitive to, well, is it cool? Is it cool to do? Like, if it isn't, then forget it. We don't want to do it if it's going to hurt you. But, you know, we want to share with the audience what's going on in our lives. So anyway, we'll get back to it. We also have a winner of P1 Trivia in the studio. Yeah, it's P1 Andrew. Andrew, how are you? Not too bad, Mikey. How about yourself? Good, man. It's good to see you. Andrew's 19. Just a shutout, man. When you played P1 Trivia, you killed it. Oh, I know. You did really good. And it says here that you are a clerk in a foreclosure firm. Oh, yeah. Pretty busy out there. Yeah, I bet you're real busy. Oh, yeah. Wow. You are the Grim Reaper. At 19, I don't even think I got what foreclosure was. No way. No kidding. So you're ahead of the curve. You understand. Yeah. My mom's in the business, so she's kind of helped me get the job.
She's put me out there. There you go. Where do you go to school? I go to school at Grossmont College. There you go. And you're going to major in film? Yeah, I'd like to. So you go to another school? You stay there at Grossmont and do that work? I'll be at Grossmont for another year or so, and then I'm going to try and transfer to state. Yeah. Do they do a good film school there at San Diego State? I've heard they've got a pretty good one, and it's close. That's cool. What kind of film? He is a very wise man. What are you attracted to? I like comedies mostly, but I know that... Doesn't always do good. Whatever I can get my hands on, basically. But if it were up to you, is that the kind of films you would choose to make? Yeah, probably. I don't know if you know this or not. Eddie, go ahead. Talk about it, Eddie. But I've done a few roles in my day, including my starring role in Renegade. You didn't even have a line. It's a credit that I have. Okay. But if you need a star when you hit it big, just give me a call and all. I'll know where to look. You know where to look. You know what's up. You're a smart kid. Stop. 570-1053. Back to you, Mike. Well, Eddie was in the background of the TV show. No, no, no. Me and Lo. Yeah, that's true. In the background. No. Me, Lo, and the guest star of that week was Angie Harmon. Stop with the story. Please stop. If you want to be accurate about a guest star.
Angie Harmon was the guest star that week. And me and Lo decided... Lorenzo Lomas. Lorenzo Lomas, for people who don't know Lo, decided that day I'll take a little backseat to Angie because I didn't want to upstage her. You say that day like there were multiple days. I was a star renegade. I was the renegade. Pretty much. Internet. Go look at it. Yeah. Blog. Web it. Web it up. Yeah. I just looked on YouTube. There's no results. Oh, really? I'll check, too. Yeah, go to the... YouTube wasn't around back then. Yeah. Try WebTube and see if you'll get it on that. FaceTube it. Oh, my gosh. You know what's so funny is... See, now I got to tell you, Andrew. I got my... I would say the biggest aspect of my personality is like the humor and all that stuff, right? Yeah. That's basically where I've been for the 37 years of my life. That's how I've made a living is doing comedy, radio, and stuff like that. I've always been interested in comedy. What's weird is that if I wasn't in radio, film is what interests me the most. I love film. I love every aspect of it. I love...
I love the emotions that it evokes from people. I love the music that you choose. I love the look of the film, so cinematography. I love every aspect of it and pulling performances out of people. What's so strange is that with as much background that I have in humor and comedy, I would choose to make films that would rip people's guts out in terms of emotion. It would never be, I'm not into the horror genre anymore. Comedies mildly interest me. My thing would be movies like 21 Grams or movies of that nature, that sort. So it's always interesting to me, especially when I talk to young guys that are into film. Like, what are you into? What would you want to do? And you would want to do comedy, which is cool. 5701053. is our phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show, and you can talk about anything you want. It's an open forum. It's up to you. It's all yours. So give us a call. So yesterday, there was a celebration downtown. I always forget the name of it. Dusani or Dusini? Yeah.
Is it Dusini? I think they'll accept either way. Yeah, that's how I pronounce it. I always call it something. I always call it either Dusani or Dusini. I never know which it is. Right. We're going to get a million phone calls now. People are telling us the exact way to say it. But there was a celebration there last night because when the last ratings book came out, we were blessed with a really beautiful bunch of them. And so Shauna had a dinner last night. And I was really looking forward to going and celebrating with everybody. Well, two days ago, Jake had a fever and then the fever broke. And yesterday, fever broke and he woke up and the fever was broke. But Rebecca said that he had this kind of a fit where he threw this fit where he was crying tears and he doesn't usually do the cry tears thing. And then she put him down for a nap and he was crying. And screaming so loud. I was out in the backyard and I could hear him out there. I was watering these herb beds. And she came in the backyard. She was holding me screaming. And she says, can you come inside? So I come in. We go upstairs. She's holding me screaming. And she says, I have no idea what's the matter. And I don't know either. He's drinking water like crazy.
And she says he won't stop with the water. So immediately I'm thinking it's a diabetes thing because my mind goes to the worst place. So my mind goes to the worst place. And my brother's diabetic. That's symptomatic. And so instantly that's my thought. And it wasn't even until like three hours later when we were at the emergency room that Rebecca says, you know, that's his comfort thing too, you know. She said he has to have that bottle in his mouth. It's his form. That's the only thing that soothes him. Us holding him. Jake, don't go there. He doesn't roll with us holding him. That's not his thing. He's got two deals. Barry, a small little green blanket with a bear on it. He loves Barry. Shawnee loves it as well. Sleeps with one. Loves it. Panda Barry. That's right. Shut up, Eddie. No, I won't shut up. You're the one that made me. You're the one that initially said it. Oh, yeah. I love it, too. Let him tell a story. You're a grown man. You're grown. Eddie did the look like, well, he got me there. He did kind of get me there. So he's screaming. We take him. And, oh, man, I must have had 15 people praying over Jake yesterday. So we get to the emergency room.
They draw some blood from him. They do an x-ray. They had to get a urine sample from him. And they don't really know. Could be as simple as just gas pains. They want him to see his regular doctor today. And so we don't really know. We're hoping and we're praying that it's just the gas pains. That'd be great. And that it was a gas issue. It was interesting because. It was, we both said this, Rebecca and I both said this, that it was the exact same story that some friends of ours told us. It was the exact same deal. Kids started crying. They were eating at a Mexican restaurant with a whole bunch of people and their kid just out of nowhere, which is kind of like what happened with Jake. Just out of, the kid's sitting there fine, boom, like a light switch turns on, just starts screaming bloody murder. They said they never heard this before. And the woman that told us was saying, I'm thinking like life flight.
That's how bad he's screaming. And so she said he's screaming the whole way over to the hospital. Now, Rebecca said something, too. She said that Jake was, like, arching his back, you know, when he was doing the screaming and the uncomfortable, which lends itself to it a little bit. They get this kid to the emergency room. They're sitting in the emergency room waiting for the doctor to see him. The kid farts, and he's fine. Not one more. Cry. Wow. Fart happy. Like that simple. And Jake turned into fine. Like Jake turned. I mean, I was about, I'd say like 40 minutes after getting to the emergency room. He's running around the room that we're in giggling, you know, having a great time. And he was fine from that moment to the rest of the night. He's fine. Tired, worn out. And that's when the doctor said, you know,
I got a nine month old and this gas stuff, it's really, really painful. And so he said, you know, there's a few different things that could be the pain. He says, sometimes they get something. I can't remember what he calls it, but it's, he says it usually happens in much younger babies where a piece of hair will get tied around a baby's finger. And I called a something tourniquet and it hurts, but he says, you know, he doesn't have any of that. He looked at him. So he's checking off all these different things. And so. I don't know. We'll take him to the we'll see how he is this morning and then we'll take him to the doctor. But we didn't get to go to the celebration thing. And it was just, you know, it's tough when your little kid is screaming like that, man, because you love him so much. And you just want to see their little eyes and the tears and you just want to comfort them. It's hard. He's not really to the point where he can describe what's going on. No, no, he's not. Not really. So it's that's tough, too, because he can't tell you what's up. So, anyway, that was our day yesterday. It was pretty gnarly day. Give him a kiss for me. We gave him about a billion kisses for all of you. I love him. Sky almost called the cops on a woman who left her kid in the car. Okay. Extreme. Sky, what happened? Oh, I was so mad yesterday. Okay, so the boo and I go to CVS.
in east escondido about i don't know i'm saying like about 115 okay and we pull into our parking spot and the parking spot on the driver's side my husband was driving was empty next to us yeah go in the store do our business we're in there for about 10 minutes whatever we come out and um my husband you know obviously he's driving so he gets in on the driver's side i get in on the passenger side and he looks at me he goes did you see that And he's like, you know, starting the car and putting it in reverse. I go, see what? He's like, see that little girl in the car right there? I'm like, oh, what? Is she like super cute? And he goes, well, yeah, she's super cute. She waved and said hi to me, but she's sitting in there by herself. Oh, wow. And I said, well, how old do you think she is? And he goes, I don't know, like two, three years old. You know, and it's like a nice 80 couple degrees in East Escondido. Is the car on? No. Well, I don't know at that point, but so by this point, we're almost halfway out the parking lot headed home. And I said, I can't go home. I said, I will drive myself crazy all day long thinking about that little girl watching the news for abductions and, you know, whatever. So I said, babe, let's go back and watch her. And he says, okay, but only if you promise me that when the mother comes out, you will not fright her. He knows his wife. Yeah.
And I kind of roll my eyes and look at them and go, okay, fine. So we basically pull in. And by this time, our original parking spot was taken. And another woman had parked there and walked by. And the little girl waved and said hello to her too. So it's still there. Yeah. And so we're parking. And I told myself I will give it a half hour. And if it hits the half hour mark. Half hour. That's a long time. I know because I was like. You know, because I knew we were watching her, so nothing was going to happen to her. But I felt like the second I picked up the phone to call the police, the mom was going to walk out. So I'm like, okay, I'll give it five minutes. Okay, I'll give it like ten minutes and blah, blah, blah. And then I told myself, you know, okay, by 2 o'clock, if I do not see this mother come out by 2 o'clock, I am calling the police. And, you know, a couple times we parked in a way so we could see the car and see everything surrounding it. And a couple times I even walked over there because I thought. Maybe my husband was confused. The windows are tinted. Maybe he didn't see someone in the back. And I walked by and the little girl sitting there in her car seat in the back drinking her sippy cup with the windows rolled down. Oh, man. Yeah. I mean, the windows were rolled down like halfway. Unreal. And what also tripped me out about it is the girl was fine. She was waving to people and smiling and giggling, which in my mind means her mom does this to her a lot. Because I think a normal kid who's left alone in the car would kind of panic.
You know, with strangers walking all around. And so it was about, it was 1.52 when mom strolls out of CVS in her little juicy couture pants and her laptop. No way, Jose. Has a little gift bag with tissue paper coming out of it. And yeah. Did you say anything? No, my husband for... I said I wasn't allowed, but I was about six minutes away from calling the cops. I mean, I had my cell phone out. I was ready to call the cops. I would have taken the leash off of Skye and just let her go. Right? Yeah, my husband said no. He kept reminding me, now you promised that you weren't going to go over there. Did he want to? Oh, oh, oh. If you would have been by yourself. Oh, if I would have been by myself, definitely. No doubt. Definitely. It would have been ugly. Ugly. What I would have given you that. Because Skye will let him know, but she doesn't usually let him know and like, you know. Oh, like if I get to the point where, because I'm kind of like shy around strangers, so if I get to the point where I'm like angry enough that I need to say something, I'm like letting loose. I'm letting it fly. And I was so angry. So if anybody knows the driver of a blue Volvo with Utah plates.
In East Escondido, you tell them they're a horrible mother and they don't deserve that beautiful baby. Hey, listen, I got to tell you. So angry. If you leave your child in the car unattended, which I got to tell you, as a parent, I've thought of going to the store and blah, blah, blah and getting stuff. And you got to go in and you got your kid. And that means you got to take him out of the car seat. And it's a pain. Especially like if you're sick or whatever and you got to do stuff, it's a pain. I'm going to tell you that you really, you can't leave your child in the car. If you leave your child in the car and you leave the windows rolled down, there are people who are like those coyotes. Yes. And your child is unattended. And they're just as much of a predator as those coyotes. For sure. I'm saying that if you leave your child in that car, God forbid you come outside and your child is not in that car seat anymore. Imagine the anguish. Yeah, which pain is greater? Oh, man. I mean, it'd be one of those situations where you would never, ever forgive yourself. You would be so ridden with guilt that you left that kid there. And so, yeah.
I was angry all day because my plan was go to CVS, come home, take a nap, and then go out to this rating celebration dinner. I couldn't even sleep because my mind, I was like so angry. And then as soon as I got to the dinner, I immediately sat down with Ashley and I was like, you will not believe what happened. I was so angry. P1, word heard. So my question for you is, what's an appropriate amount of time that someone can leave their children in a car with the windows cracked for? Because sometimes, from my experience, Like, for example, if you're driving and you have to go to the bathroom, you don't have, like, you've been old and old and old and you're about to explode, you've got to run in, use it, run out. You've got to unbuckle the kids in the car seat, you're going to lose it. Yeah, I don't care. I think a second is too long to leave your child. Why are you waiting to get to that point, dude? Unattended, yeah. I don't know, that's a good question. Yeah, you shouldn't. Even one second is too long. There's no time at all. What if you're in a store where you can see them, your car's parked right up? I wouldn't do it. It doesn't matter. Someone can run up and grab your kid and run. And yeah, you see them grab your kid and run, but your kid's still gone. You can't roll the windows down all the way. That's crazy. You can't keep the kids in a situation where someone can come in your car and get them.
But when it's that hot outside and the window isn't rolled down that much, what if your kid is, like, burning up in there? Because it gets, like, super hot inside the car. Well, not only that. I mean, people smash car windows all the time, bro. I know this happened to Mikey, too. When I was, like, six, seven years old, my mom left me in the car and ran into, like, a bank or something. And an old lady came to the door and tried to open the door, was trying to get into the car. And, I mean, I was freaked out. I was six or seven years old. Infection. Yeah. I mean, personally, my personal take on it is never, ever, ever, ever leave the kid in the car unattended because human beings, there are some human beings that are like coyotes. They're predators. And if they see a kid unattended, if you can see the car, I still don't think that you would ever want to put bait on the hook. You would rather leave the hook empty. I've never done that before. My name's not P1 Wargert. It's P1 Scooby. It's P1 Rex. It's not anyone else. What's that? He's trying to make a joke that his name is something different. Oh, oh, oh, oh. He feels bad. Gotcha, gotcha. All right, brother. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm sure. Let's see. P1 Narcissist, what's up? Hey, what's going on? What's up? What's up?
You disappoint me. How come we didn't call the cops? That's crazy. Because, you know, I was talking to my husband. I'm like, what do I do, you know? And I just kept feeling like if I was going to call the cops, she was going to come out of that store any second. Like that mother must have just ran in there just for something really quick. Like it would be crazy for her to stay into that store. What you did was appropriate and right. What you did was right on. So I said, you know what, I'm going to put a time limit on. I'm going to watch this baby. I'm going to protect this baby myself. And I'm going to put a time limit on. it and once that time limits up i don't care i'm calling the cops yeah so p1 sawhammer hey mikey what's up what's up i think you should not leave your kid alone period i mean if you gotta just keep them in eyesight that's fine you know if you can see them but if you can't see your kid that's an instant opportunity it only takes two seconds for someone to take them What's interesting is that you said, I don't think that you should ever leave your kid alone unattended, period, and then proceeded to tell me about how it's okay to leave your child alone unattended. No, no, no, no, no. If you can't see them, I'm saying. Like, me, I've never left my kid alone to where I can't see them, and if someone came up to my car, you can't, you know, go and just stop them from doing anything. Like, if I'm going to get out and pump my gas, or I'm going to get out and go to the...
I don't think you get your kid out of the car to pump your gas. Your kid's still attended to. Yeah, you're still attending to your kid. You're with the kid. If you're in eyesight, I think then it's okay. You know what I mean? Well, eyesight is different. I think eyesight is different if you're pumping gas and if eyesight is different if you're like in lungs. I don't know. I mean, listen, it's everybody's personal call. You can do whatever you want as a parent. You can do whatever you want. And if you're comfortable, you're comfortable. I mean, there's certainly no... I don't know that there's a... I wonder if you're in longs and your kid is in the car with the windows rolled up or whatever. I wonder what the law says. You can't roll up your windows because then they're going to suffocate. I know, but if you got your car, maybe you got your car running and you lock the doors, you got your keys and you got the air on. I don't know, man. Hey, listen, I don't think you should do any of this. I think you should have your kid with you. Yeah, personally, I mean, I guess. I mean, what I was just saying is like if. The only time I've ever done it is to, like, a gas station. And even then I question myself, is that bad? Because I've never had anybody tell me. I mean, I'm a fairly young single dad. So, I mean, to me, I've always been like, well, if I'm just going up to the gas station right there and here's the cash and I'm running right there and she's at pump number one, then it's okay. But if it's like, okay, I've got to go into a grocery store to actually get something where I'm going to go into an aisle and I'm not going to be able to see them, my daughter or my son or whatever, then I might as well just take them in there.
Yeah, it's everybody's personal choice, man. I mean, we all get to make the choice for ourselves. I appreciate the call, man. All right, thanks, man. Thanks. P1 Redbeard. Yeah. Go ahead. I was renting to the grocery store with my wife and my daughter, and my wife was sitting in the back with my daughter, and we have tinted windows in the back. And I pulled up to the Alberton's, I ran in, I grabbed a gallon of milk, I came out, and as I was pulling back onto the street, two cops came up behind me and pulled me over. Really? Somebody had reported that I had left my daughter in the car unattended as I ran into the store. Wow. Well, a couple things strike me there. The first one is good for them. You know, they didn't see your wife. They didn't see your wife. And so I say, hey, they were trying to care for the baby. But I wonder, like, let's say no wife in the back. I wonder what would have happened. Would the cops have sighted him or? We're doing like a safety check. I mean, I was in Albertson for long enough to go to the back of the store, grab milk, and walk up. There was no line, so I must have been in there not even five minutes. And the cops, I mean, they pulled me over. I wasn't, you know, four houses down the street before the cops were behind me and pulled me over. That thing that Sean said really has stuck with me. Ever since he said it, it's just resonating in my head of which one hurts worse, which one's more painful.
You know, like having to go, okay, I got to take the kid and drag the kid in the store, blah, blah, blah. Or, you know, what if you, God forbid, came out and your kid was gone? That'd be the worst. Okay, rest of the show, uplifting and funny. I promise. Text number is 35253. And it's going to get fun in here because we got Battle of the Sex is coming up, which means Chantel is coming in the studio. And Team Awesome will take on Team Sass. Also, you know that crazy Bill O'Reilly meltdown audio where he's on Access Hollywood and flips. Is that Access Hollywood or Inside Edition? He's on Inside Edition. This is from years ago. And he flips out. Stephen Colbert did a mock of it. You got the audio. It's hysterical. Don't go away. I was in a speed reading accident. Hit a bookmark. I've been doing a lot of painting lately, abstract painting, extremely abstract, no brush, no canvas. I just think about it. Real good one right now. Once I went to a museum where all the work in the museum had been done by children. They had all the paintings up on refrigerators. Then I went to a museum where they had all the heads. I just got out of the hospital. I was in a speed reading accident. Hit a bookmark.
I've been doing a lot of painting lately, abstract painting, extremely abstract, no brush, no canvas. I just think about it. I went to a museum where all the work in the museum had been done by children. They had all the paintings up on refrigerators. Then I went to a museum where they had all the heads and arms from the statues that are in all the other museums. I left that museum when I was walking down the street. I saw a man who had wooden legs and real feet. I bought some powdered water, but I don't know what to add. This is the Mikey Show. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Hello, hello, there we go. That'll be right down here. Great way to start the day. Southbound 7 to the 15 is getting a little bit tougher out of Escondido now. Brake lights off to 78. Kind of off and on down of your Rancho Parkway. Then you've got the reduced speeds as you'll wind your way through Rancho Bernardo. And then slows again, mainly in the right-hand lanes as you're pushed at 56 and make that westbound turn. Southbound 7 to the 5 to picking up some brake lights here out of Encinitas now from Encinitas Boulevard on down past Manchester.
Looking nice out of this east county, though. The westbound 52 has just a minor slowdown at the top of the summit there. West 8, you're good to go all the way to Mission Valley. The 94 King Freeway completely clear all the way to downtown. Looking pretty nice as well out of the south bay. The 5805 northbound, they're moving right along. The 805, a brief glitch around Imperial Avenue, but things get pretty tough already once you get into Kearney Mesa, approaching that 163. From there, it's a slow ride all the way up over the 52 towards Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. I'm McLaurin on Rock 105.3. If you are a P1, meaning a Mikey show listener, and you've been listening for any length of time, you have probably heard about and probably by this time tried AIS insurance. And you've probably saved a lot of money because I personally did myself. I saved $1,600 a year by switching to AIS. Now, I'm going to tell you something. I do not bring to the table endorsement companies that I don't personally believe in. And I believe in AIS. A hundred percent, man. Because I use them myself. My family uses them. I believe in them. Their phone number is 1-800-777-4247. And I want to let you know that if you're planning a trip to Mexico, you're going to be going down to Mexico, have some lobster, hang out. You're going to be taking your family. You're going to be doing stuff with your friends or whatever. They offer the Mexican insurance and I urge you to get it. Because I got a friend who went down there with a friend and their car got stolen. It was his buddy's car.
So, don't be that guy. 1-800-777-4247. Now, back to Mikey. I love football so much. Eddie. I have a very strong sensitivity to smells. Sky. I smoked so much pot in high school those years. I blew my... Pet Shop Boys, favorite groups. I wish I was smarter so I could fight this better. And Ashley. I am... A very, very twitchy person, and I feel like it's because I have ADD. The Mikey Show is on. Rock 105.3. Yeah, dog. It's a Mikey Show at 642. John Edwards officially gave his endorsement to Barack Obama yesterday. NBA playoffs last night saw the Lakers move up three games and two over Utah winning game five last night. It's a jam right here, huh? Oh, I wish they hadn't broke up. I really wish that audio slave hadn't broke up.
They made great music together. And remember when we were in San Jose, when they first announced it, we were like, that's weird. Chris Cornell and the dudes from Rage. Like, what is that going to sound like? And it was really good. Hey, our phone number here is 570-1053. If you want to give us a call. So last night. On American Idol. Saisha, so long. Oh. Nice knowing you. Hi. Is this one of these, is this a case of, you guys tell me, because you guys are watching American Idol. Is this a case of, well, it's just a matter of time, but man, it's just kind of a bummer to see somebody go. I think, well, this guy. Because you know how, Eddie, sometimes you'll say, well, they weren't going to want it anyway, but. She shouldn't, yeah, I don't even felt.
I feel like she should have been in the top three. Whoa. But she greatly improved over the time she was there. Yeah, she did. And I thought she was good. But, yeah, I mean, the final is kind of the final that everybody thought it was going to be. And it makes sense. Two people now. Two Davids. Yeah. David Archuleta, who's got the strange dad. And the strange face. Nice. He always closes his eyes and he's like sleeping on stage. He's best friends with Samwise, right? Him and Samwise are both... Yes, Mike, they are. They're BFs. And then there's David Cook. He's the rock dude, right? If you want to call it that. Is that the deal? I don't know. Is he supposed to be? They try to make him seem like that, but he's very... So dramatic. Oh, boy. Aren't you going to win? I hope. I don't know, man. You know, it seems like... The judges are pushing for David Cook to win. Simon Cowell actually said in an interview with Blender Magazine that he believes that David Cook should win. Paul has said it before. There's been a big shift. Do you think that's because they just don't want to have business dealings with the father of David Archuleta?
I don't know. I didn't think of that. My wife and I talked about that last night. Really? Because even though it is the music business or whatever, and it is all about money at the end of the day, you do want to work with people that you can work with. That's 19 Entertainment. That's the one that they'll go to first, right? Yeah. And there's no question in my mind that David Cook will be a bigger selling recording artist than David Archuleta. Because David Archuleta, I don't know what... where you would play his music. That's what I wanted to ask you. What's he going to be? That's a great question. He has, like, no image. He's very Elliot Yamin. Yeah. You know, where, you know, I mean, he can kind of do that kind of, like, smooth R&B stuff. Right. But, you know, there's a very small niche for that. Yeah. So, you know. And David Cook has more of that, like, switch foot style of sound. It's more marketable. For sure. Who do you think's a better singer? Archuleta. Yeah. By far. Sky, you too? Yeah. Ash, you like Archuleta's voice better? Yeah. No? Yeah, yeah, yeah. 5701053 is our phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show about anything you want. Ashley wrote, yesterday I was emotional and bloated and cramping and keeled over in the fetal position because I'm menstruating. And she said, bless my boyfriend's heart. And so I thought that was darling. Well, he really had to put up with a lot yesterday, so.
Yeah, you're talking about mood swings kind of thing? Yeah, I mean, I'm like maybe not the easiest person to date. You know what I mean? I believe that to be a true statement. I think you're being honest. Just saying. You don't need to pile up. She's a very honest person. God bless his soul. He's got to be a strong man. She's an honest person. Ashley said, went to the celebration dinner. It was great. Nobody knew. But my top button was undone on my jeans because I was in so much pain slash bloated. What the heck? You men are so lucky you don't have to experience this every month. It's the worst. It's garbage. So your whole body gets bloated? Is that the deal, you guys? Well, no, but it's your abdomen urea, you know? It gets bloated. And everything hurts. It's that core that affects everything. It's like if I turn, if I walk. She's not well right now. And the only comfortable position, Skye, I know, agrees with this, is the fetal position when you're cramping that bad and you're bloated. It sucks. It's so strange that she sat that way at dinner, you know, in the fetal. It's so weird. Skye knows. She was with me. Like, I was so uncomfortable. Yeah. She said that some great speeches were given from Terry King. Oh, yeah. Boy Blunder. And Shana.
So, yeah, I didn't get to go, so I missed all the speeches. I wish that I could have seen. I love when they give speeches. You didn't miss any. Jokers, a bunch of jokers. Were they all messing around? Is that the deal? Well, we forced Boy Blunder to make a speech. It's awesome. Then Terry interrupted Boy Blunder's speech to make a real speech. Right. Get serious. Something else. Okay. And then Shauna felt guilty. But wouldn't do a speech unless I got up with her. What? Yeah, because she knew that you would just make fun of her the entire, heckle her the entire time. Which I did. You did anyway. Which I did. It's great. We all took it very seriously. It was really special. It was. Ashley says, Dana from Promotions hadn't seen my dog. I showed her pictures and the first thing she said, she looks like a grandpa. We told you. Ashley writes, so stupid. I was so pissed. But he does look like a grandpa, right? Eddie, wouldn't you say great grandpa? Yes, dead grandpa. She had no idea that you guys had referred to my dog as that. Buried and then dug up again. Sarcophagus grandpa. Tough love it is, tough love. I disagree. 570-1053 is our phone number.
Key One Jade is on the line. Good morning, guys. Good morning. I just had to call because I just had the most random dream ever. I just woke up about half an hour from it. I wanted to share it with Eddie. What if you're still dreaming? Eddie. Okay. I'm, like, late to work right now because this dream, I woke up late for work. All right. But I was at SeaWorld. Oh, no. Eddie, Eddie. Take it easy, Eddie, before you get upset. Eddie hates killer whales. Oh, he's taking his headphones off. He just took his headphones off, ma'am. He can't hear you because Sean's playing the effects of a whale, and they frighten Eddie a lot. Eddie calls them the black and whites. Sean, be cool. He hates those. Okay, so I was walking by that open tank, you know, the one in the Shamu Stadium or whatever it was. Mm-hmm. I was walking by the open tank. Why did I get attacked? It came out of the water and grabbed onto my leg and would not let go, and no one did anything about it. It's not a dream. It's not a dream, Eddie says. Eddie says that's not a dream. That you know of. Eddie says not a dream. No one did anything about it, and all I want to say is it was terrible. I felt like I was really there, like it was real, and I will never laugh.
And Eddie, ever again when you guys are talking about killer whales. Thank you. How do you like that, Eddie? Well, she knows the true secret behind what happens at SeaWorld. Oh, gosh. Behind the scenes that the media tries to. Right. What happens at SeaWorld is not the first. It stays at SeaWorld. It stays at SeaWorld. Very scary. Is that what it is? Yes. They make t-shirts. You guys make your little jokes and laugh. Right. We're just having a good time over here. I disappear one day. That's right. You disappear. From one of the black and whites. Don't come crying to me. Don't do it. Whatever. So, I wonder who John Edwards endorsed. Hillary or Barack? Eddie, who do you think he would endorse? Well, it was strange because he said he wasn't going to endorse either one of them. But John Edwards is a frontrunner, so I'm going to say he endorses Barack. Barack Obama. Obama. Let's see what he says. Now, I'm going to tell you, they say that something strange happens in the clip. They say that when he gives his endorsement... Oh, no, no, no. That's when he's talking about the other person. Okay, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to take a break. When we come back, I'm going to play for you the audio of him giving his endorsement. Why don't we do it that way?
Come right back, and I'll play for you his endorsement. Now, when talking about the other person, he's trying to say something nice, and very oddly, his voice cracks while he's trying to say something. And they say it's kind of interesting. It's time to change. Text us right now. 35253. Are you a member of the Mikey Show P1 Text Army? If you're not, text the word Mikey to 35253, regardless of... Your wireless company is. You can text us and get in on this thing and then text us all the time. Our phone number, 5701053. We'd love to talk to you. Let's hang out. When we come back, I'll play that audio for you next. Six days a week. You guys are awesome. Appreciate it, bro. Thank you. I'm a P1 because of my girlfriend, Lynn, who turned me on the station. Now we got you guys on every morning and stuff like that. Home of the P1s and stuff like that. Rock.

NBA playoffs last night saw Boston go up 3-2 over LeBron James and Cleveland. I wonder if anybody else has issues with XM radio like we do. You guys, I am telling you. I'm telling you. Like, Rebecca is convinced that we're getting taken, and I hate to believe that we're getting taken. What do you mean? Well... I call them and they never are able to get the different, whenever you get a radio from XM, you have to call and have them turn it on. It's not like a radio. When you buy a regular radio, just turn it on. It works. When you get XM radio, you got to register it. They had to turn it on, activate it. Well, over the years, when XM first came out, it was like 2003 or something, or no, it was earlier than that. It was like 2001, 2002, something like that. And we lived in Dallas. I wanted one, got one, put in my car. Well, that car's long gone.
Since then, I've had one like in a boom box in our office. I've had one that was portable that you can like take with you to ball games. I've had one in this car, one in that car, whatever. Well, we're finding that we're getting like charged for them like on these different like year. And we don't see it because it like pops up once a year and go. And so we don't really notice it. Well, I should I shouldn't say we. Me, because they'll be on one of my cards that I just don't notice it. And so yesterday I called them and they have like one radio on my account. And I'm like, that can't be right. I'm like, I know I have other radios. So we start doing some investigating. Well, if you like have a different phone number, it's like having a whole other account. It doesn't come up under your name. And so they're charging you all over the place. And I was talking to Jamaica. When you call, they get connected to Jamaica. Like when you do Dell, they connect you to India. And so they're trying to figure it out. I can't figure it out. I think I have stuff all over the place. And so I'm trying to get it fit in. My wife just wrote me and said, I think we're getting taken. And I think she's right. So I don't know how to figure it out. But I will.
We'll tell you, I will get to the bottom of this. Yes, you will. You get them, Mike. Mikey, about American Idol, I think anyone Ashley votes for gets voted off. It's her fault. That's P1 Flying Hawaiian. It is true. The week before, she voted for Jason Cashel. She gets voted off. It's total crap. Last night, she voted for Saisha. She got voted off. Yeah, and you know, that's so weird because I've never really voted in my life except for last week and this week. She's voted for more American Idol. than President of the United States. That's true. That is true. Well, we all know where my priorities are. Mikey, I just got out of the field from a month-long training op. Heard you guys have a new P1 sticker. How can I get one? P1 Irish Dock. If you come to the radio station in the lobby, they got them. Nice. Other than that, you have to be fortunate enough to be at one of our promotions. And if you go to one of our promotions, you will be able to get in on it. It's that easy. Or isn't? Is that what it says, the song? Is it saying girls? I don't even know what it says. Girls. Boys. Boys. Boys. Boys. Girls. Girls. Girls. Girls. Girls. Superior. Women. Yeah, we are. You said women are superior? No, I didn't.
Here's how this works. That's what you meant to say. Yeah, I feel it. We have two teams. We have Team Awesome and Team Sass. That's us. Guys are Team Awesome. Girls are Team Sass. We're Team Awesome, Mike, because we win every week. No, you don't win every week. Let's not. Pretty much. Oh, what about the weeks where you were whining and crying? Oh, when you cheat. Yeah, when you guys cheat, you win. Cheat, we win. It's embarrassing. It's a simple little radio game that you guys feel you must cheat to win. We don't need to cheat to win. We just win. What? Whatever. Whatever. You're a crazy man. So here's how it works. I will ask questions to Team Awesome, questions to Team Sass. Six apiece. We'll do three. Take a break. Come back. Do three. And Eddie, I don't remember who started last time. They did. The girls started. The Evil Empire. So that means we killed you guys. I won't. We will begin with the guys. So, Eddie, we'll start with you. All right. I'll take it. Here we go, Eddie. Your question is... Yes, come on, dude. And by the way, the teams are made up. Team Awesome is Eddie, Austin, Rob, and Sean. Horrible. Team Sass, Sky, Chantel, and Ashley. Perfect. Here's your question. Where are you coming from? How you doing, sweetheart?
Eddie, your question is, who of the following is a member of the boy band NSYNC? Is it A, Chris Kilpatrick, B, Howie DeRoe, or C, Brian Richardson? Again, who of the following is a member of the boy band NSYNC? Is it A, Chris Kilpatrick, B, Howie DeRoe, or C, Brian Richardson. Luckily, I'm really into play bands. I really am. Good thing. I'm trying to do math here. Don't admit that. Why math? Boston Rob wants you to get it wrong on principle. I refuse. I think that Howie is a new kid. I could be wrong. Maybe not. No, he's not. I'm sorry, Sky. She gave it away.
This guy got such a disappointment. I never kissed that poster. Yes. How dare he? I'm going to say A. You are correct, A. New kids on the block. Hey, leave NKOTB out of this, dude. Chris Kilpatrick is a member of NSYNC. He's the gay one, right? He is? I don't know. Yeah, I think they all are gay ones. I didn't even know that. It's Lance that's gay. Lance is gay. Well, I don't know. Maybe Chris Kilpatrick is gay. I don't know. I thought it was Joey Fatone. No, it's not pronounced that. It's pronounced Fatone. It's spelled F-A-T-O-N-E, but it's actually pronounced. I am not gay. I never have been gay. So the question for Team Sass. We'll start with Sky.
Come on. It's Thursday. Skye. I don't know what that means, Eddie. Skye, what soccer team does David Beckham play for? Wow. What soccer team does David Beckham play for? Play for. Skye is waving a... I got it. I believe I do. I believe I do. She is confidently licking her lips right now, which says... I'm a fan of David Beckham and his body. And I'm a fan of everything about him. Are you a fan of the way that he talks? Are you a fan of that? And he actually says, all right, fine. So what you're saying to me is... It would be wonderful if one night you answered your phone and it was... Hello, darling. Oh, no. Hello, Chantel. I don't think it sounds quite like that. It sounds exactly like this, actually. It's a bit higher, yes. But if he were to call you and say, let's spend about 15 minutes here on the phone just flirting with one another. We'll just flirt. 15 minutes, what do you say? Oh, I'm turned on. I'll stop my stopwatch. All right, I'll begin. Chantel, you're so gorgeous. Oh, thank you. No, you're quite welcome.
Are you hot and bothered yet? No. Yeah. Not so much. Skye. I believe David Beckham plays for the LA Galaxy. You are correct, Skye. Way to go, Skye. Wow. I thought that was a WNBA team. Skye, the score is tied. Yes, it is. At one to one. Wow. Let's go back to the guys. Now it is Boston Rock. Rizzi. Oh. You got it. The downfall. Rob, we do have to put a one-hour limit on you answering the question. Thank you, Mike. That's true. Great. Boston Rob. Yeah? Which of the following is not a common type of artificial nail? Oh, my. Which? Great question. Which of the following is not a common type of artificial nail? Is it A, gel? B, acrylic, or C, casted? Which of the following is not a common type of artificial nail? Is it A, gel, B, acrylic, or C, casted? Come on, Rizzy. Riz has his hand over his eyes. He's got his head down. He's thinking. Think of all those manis and pedis you get. That's right, dude. I'm going to go with C. That is correct. Wow.
Oh, my God. Enough already. Oh, my God. Now you snoring me. What's with the finger? In the tongue? What? It's mad me. Stop. Yeah, now. Let me sweep. Chantel. Now the pressure is on you, Chantel. Chantel. You have to get this right. Oh, no. It's not a sweep. I already got a point, clown. That's right. Chantel is rocking it a little old school today. Have you noticed? She's going retro. That's good. She's doing some retro stuff with us, too. A little flash dance going on. That's right. Oh, what a feeling. All right, Chantel, this is your question. Uh-oh. Come on, mama. And once again, Chantel, you're getting multiple shots. I didn't know you were going to say that. That's the only way she has a chance. That is not true. No, it is. I read it on fax.com. You read? Stop it. Here we go, Chantel. All right. Which one of these characters is not a Batman villain? Oh, I love this already. Is it A, Mr. Freeze, B, Dr. Destroyer, or C, Two-Face?
You can tell Chantel feels this is a ridiculous question. But very easy. But she's thinking, she's thinking, again, which of these characters is not... Eddie is waving bye-bye to Chantel. Which of these characters is... She just gave him the hand. Which of these characters is not a Batman villain? Is it A, Mr. Freeze, B, Dr. Destroyer, or C, Two-Face? I'm going to go with A. Shut the front door. That's wrong. That is incorrect. I don't watch Batman. Wow. Don't tell me it's C. Chantel, it's not C. I won't tell you that. It's B. It's B. Shut the front door. Dr. Destroyer is not a Batman villain. I don't watch Batman.
Don't you remember when Arnold Schwarzenegger was Mr. Freeze? Hello? No. Chantel's got that look that says, no, I don't. Sorry. Wow. I don't. Shawnee, oh boy. Sweet. Shawnee, oh boy. Shawnee. I'll do my best. Tink it. What is the name of Cher's best friend in the movie Clueless? Oh, come on. Oh, come on. This is a good one. This is a good one. Sean, I'm sure you love this movie. Sean has a look. Sean probably knows it. Are you kidding me? Sean. You know it. Sean has a look. I have never seen that movie. Oh, no. What? Come on, Sean. You have never seen that masterpiece? You are missing out. Stop. You are missing out. That you are. That is a must see. Shawnee, oh boy. Can I get the question one more time, please? Yes, you can. Yes, you can. What is the name of Cher's best friend in the movie Clueless? Oh, Sean is putting the camera right up into his face. It looks like an episode of Road Rules. You can do it, Sean. You don't need to be that close. Okay, her best friend's name. Mike, is it Sally?
Well done. That is incorrect, Sean. Is that Sally? No, Alicia Silverstone played Cher, and her best friend in the movie was Dion. Yeah. Oh, Dion. What up? He's played by Stacey Dash. Dion Warwick. So hot. That's right. Dion Warwick, actually, was her best friend. Dang it. Let's go back to Team Sass. Yes, Liz. Come on, you can tie it up, Ashley. Ashley, you cannot look at a computer. Ashley. You must not look at a computer. She doesn't? Okay. I'm making direct eye contact. Yeah. Okay. Eddie's watching you. Don't divert your eyes. Everyone come in here. Everyone? Yeah, I don't care. Just like I said last week, everyone can come in and check my work. All right, Ashley. I have no reason to cheat. Here is your question. Or do you? Here is your question. Like I care. Ashley. Yeah. You do. Concentrate. Uh-huh. Care more. There are eight rules in Fight Club. Oh, wow. Ashley. Yeah. First rule is you do not talk about Fight Club. Second rule is you do not talk about Fight Club. What's the eighth rule? Eighth rule of Fight Club. It's a multiple choice. Oh, that was impossible. Dang it. Dang it.
That is ridiculous. Yeah. I didn't even get a multiple choice. Oh, stop whining. Ash. Unreal. Thought we had it. Right. Is it A, if someone says stop or goes limp or taps out, the fight is over? Is it B, fights will go on as long as they have to? Or is it C, if this is your first fight night at Fight Club? You have to fight. Just by the way, this is my favorite question ever. It's a great question. It's a really good question. Love the movie. Love Brad Pitt. Love Edward Norton. Love B and love C. You want to hear him again? It's one more time. You want him again? Yeah, go ahead.
There's eight rules in Fight Club. First rule is you do not talk about Fight Club. Second rule is you do not talk about Fight Club. You don't. What is the eighth rule? Is it A, if someone says stop or goes limp or taps out, the fight is over? No. Is it B, fights will go on as long as they have to? That is a rule. Or is it C, if this is your first night at Fight Club, you have to fight? C. Is that your final answer? Yes. You are correct. Yeah! She's so into fighting. She loves fighting. And you're sweaty. That's okay. I wouldn't do the victory sign too much. Do the victory sign, but keep your arms down by their sides and bend at the elbow. Lucky guess. But I've seen the movie. Then you would know they're all rules of Fight Club. Oh, really? Yes? Oh, weak. Ladies and gentlemen.
The score is tied two to two. Yes, it is. Now you stop. Eddie just showed the guns to Chantel. Oh, now he's posing bodybuilder style. Oh, there it is. There it is. The thing is, I don't see much 80K. When we come back, round two, don't go, oh, look at Chantel. She's trying to open her eyes wider. Like, I can't see. I can't see. Let's do it. The Mikey Show. Yeah, I love The Mikey Show. You know what? You guys are awesome. I do, too. I appreciate you. Thank you, brother. Corona, official sponsor of The Time Out, presents Great Moments in Time Out History. October 11, 1990, Philly versus Atlanta. Preseason for two teams that wouldn't see the postseason.
But Philly guard Stanley Steely made it a day hard to forget, for he came up with a play that defied logic and maybe common sense. 18 seconds left. Philly up by five. Stanley calls timeout. Did he want a new play? No, he just wasn't in the mood. A genius play, except that Philly had no timeouts, earning them a technical foul. And then he called another, and another, and then another. Six technical foul shots later, Philly lost by one. But to us at Corona, He's the game's MVP, for he reminds us that not even victory can beat ice-cold Corona. So remember, there is no I in team, but there is in line. This has been another great moment in timeout history. Corona and Corona Lite. Imported by Crown Imports, Chicago, Illinois. I want you, as you're driving in your car, to pretend that this is, in fact, the first time that you've ever heard me talk about this. And maybe the deal is, is that you're saying, too late, Mikey, I can't. I've heard you talk about it before. Well, please try. And the reason I'm saying it is because of the opportunity. I looked that word up. That word is a very, very powerful word, opportunity. And the reason that I think opportunity is so powerful is because it truly... Opportunity doesn't present itself every day of our lives. There are some days and some seasons that we go through in our lives where opportunity is just not there. We wish it was. In fact, we're saying to our husband or our wife or our boyfriend or girlfriend or the people that we work with, we're going, man, I just wish something. You know the old chestnut, together we can move mountains? What a useless phrase. We don't need to move any mountains. Mountains should stay put. In fact, we should probably be working together to not move mountains. Let's think of some better phrases. Ones that don't imply that being successful means devastating the landscape. How about something like, together we can move mountains of trash that have piled up near the old docks. Or maybe, together we can drink these two beers I just suddenly got. Or how about simply, share the good. That one's nice, and guess what? It works perfectly with delicious bottles of Heineken Premium Light. Now you've got a hot new phrase. Broadcube train mattress centers. More brake lights on our freeways here this morning. No major problems, but plenty of stuff to deal with here with slowdowns. Right now out of the South Bay, you're fairly decent on the 5, 805 northbound coming up into the city. The 805, though, now starting to get heavy from Home Avenue in the North Park. And then it just crawls from Mesa College for a tough ride. Heading up through Kearney Mesa over the 52 to Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. The West 94 King Freeway, just a minor delay from 28th Street here into downtown. The 8 ride's been looking fantastic, man. Westbound 8 is looking awesome. Just La Mesa all the way to Mission Valley. Nothing's slowing you down on that freeway. Things are getting a little rougher, though, on the 52 westbound at Asante. It starts north on the 125 and continues slow as you make that westbound turn and continuing to the top of the summit.
South 15's got the brake lights off and on in pockets from the 78 down into Escondido to Villa Rancho Parkway. A minor slowdown through Rancho Bernardo, and now you're seeing a slowdown through Carmel Mountain Ranch. The westbound 56 also seeing a heavy ride from Camino del Sur to Carmel Valley. And the coaster ride, as always, struggling South 5 out of La Costa all the way to Solana Beach. Dan McLaurence on Rock 105.3. That's great. Taking over the place. Oh, yeah. That is awesome. So, yeah, they're downtown. Or not downtown. Excuse me. They're by Sports Arena area. And they're called Divine Postabilities. And we definitely give it the P1 Army seal of approval. Oh, yeah. So good. Really, really, really good food. Heaven in your mouth. Let's see. Oh, wow. Let's go to Eddie. What do we do? Do we start with the guys? Back to me. Back to Eddie. Yes. Sorry, ladies. That's not... What are you pointing to? That's not even like a muscle. It's not even like a muscle there. His forearm? Eddie's pointing to his forearm like, check out the guy. They're very defined. It's gigantic. What are you talking about? Okay. What? Ladies, I'm sorry about this question, but... How dare you? Why would you... I like you, Mike. Huh? Eddie. Yeah? Who's Nick Lachey's current girlfriend? Oh, he's thinking. Wait a minute. It's in there. It's in there, but he's just got to pinpoint it. Hold on. Hold on. Vanessa Manillo? That is correct, Daddy. That is correct. Wow, really? I had to work it out. Good job. Thank you. I'm impressed. I was going to say Milano. I mean, I give you a one-up. The score is now 3-2. Team Awesome. Sky's going to bring it in. Okay, come on, Sky. Sky, are you ready? Your question is...
Multiple choice. Oh, I love it already. Skye, in what sport is offsides not a penalty? Oh, you got this. Oh, you got this. Oh, you got this. Oh, you got this. Okay, let's take it slow. In what sport is offsides not a penalty? Okay. Is it A, basketball, B, hockey, or C, football? Again, is it A, basketball, B, hockey, or C, football? Okay, I know it definitely is in football. I know offsides is definitely a penalty in football. So it's either hockey or basketball. Well, yeah, because those are the other two options. Continue on, though. I know. What a jerk. Eddie just gave the victory sign to Bob for a job well done. He's so short. Bad he is. Mike, I'll take the one without African-Americans.
out of control. Chantel, I don't know if you know this, Sky has a thing for black guys. I love them in fact. Yes, I do. I have a thing for handsome men. No, she has a thing. Me too. She has a thing for black guys. And some handsome men happen to be African American. I'm sorry. Nine times out of ten. By handsome, I mean black. I'm trying to think. It's hard to think when all you've got running through your head is black guys. I call it a blackout. That's right. Well, guys, hang on a second. I got Taye Diggs in my head. I'm having a blackout. Oh, my goodness. That model Tyson just popped in. Good night. Man, I cannot decide between basketball and hockey. Some people count sheep, Mike. I count black guys dunking. All right. Everybody calm down. Okay. I'm going to.
I count Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Roman Oban. Thank you very much. Oh, I'm so upset with this question. I'm going to guess, and I'm sorry, girls. That's okay. I'm going to guess basketball. That is correct, Sky. Duh. The score is 10. I've never watched basketball. Stop it now. Score is tied. Don't be jealous. Don't be. Sick of these multiple choicers. Let's go over to Boston Rob and his multiple choice question. Boston Rob. Whatever. We deserve this. Rob, which of these household products is not commonly used for repairing a run in a stocking? Oh, girl. Rob, you know you wear them. Yeah.
He's got a pair on right now. That's all I'm wearing. That's not true. You have on a boostie egg. I was going to say you got some stuff coming through the fishnet there. Okay. Wow. 740. The reference when I write an email later. Sean's going to get a call. Okay, let's see. Boston Rob, which of these household products is not commonly used for repairing a run in a stocking? Is it A, clear nail polish? Is it B, hairspray? Or is it C, perfume? Again, which of the following household products is not commonly used for repairing a run in a stocking? Is it A, clear nail polish? B, hairspray? Or C, perfume? I'm going to go with C. That is correct, Rob. That question was sticky. What? Just stop it. Clear nail polish is sticky? How would we know that? How would we know that? It doesn't harden. Hey, ladies. What? Calm down. We're in the lead. Whatever. Not for long. It is four to three.
Chantel's going to take this right here. It is four to three. Chantel. You have to. Woo! I just want to remind Chantel. Shut up. I am two for two today. Leave me alone. Chantel, I'm just going to tell you before I ask this question that if you don't answer this question, so many men will be upset with you. You have to. You always say that to me. This is my first time. So many men will be upset. Forever single. Oh, wow, that one got her. That one got her, Eddie. Look, she's going to cry. I take it back. You're a catch. Are you ready, Chantel? Chantel, you have to do this. Come on. Chantel, what was the name? Don't let Eddie distract us. Don't let Eddie distract you. Leave her alone, Eddie. Here you go. Seriously, not the time, Eddie. Chantel, what was the name of James Kahn's character in The Godfather? Oh, wow. She's thinking. Have you seen The Godfather? Yes, but... Okay, okay. That's a good step. You have? That's a good step. Now, I'll accept first name. Mm-hmm. Oh, my God. James Caan's character in The Godfather. What? I... Oh, my God. She's got the fist up to her mouth. She's thinking. Eyes closed. Fettuccine. No. Fettuccine. No, it's something Italian. Spaghetti. No, spaghetti.
Spaghetti Corleone? Oh, my gosh, girl. I'm so sorry, girls. I really don't know. Girl, go with your gut, girl. You want to take a guess? Meatball. Lasagna. Take a guess. Godfather. Guess an Italian name. Girl, girl. Like Tony. Isn't that Tony an Italian name? Is that your... Tony or Franklin. Is that your final answer? No. Think of an Italian name. Give me an Italian name. John. Very Italian. Good job. My mom made an Italian. His name is John Montalioni. That is incorrect. But I know it's wrong. What is it? James Caan's character was Sonny. Sonny. Sonny, of course. That was an absolute disaster. It was a disaster. It was a beautiful disaster is what it was. Like the Kelly Clarkson song, Eddie. Sonny, oh boy. Put the fork in him.
I don't want you to do that. Do my best. Stop it. No. Shawnee, if you get this one wrong and they get the next one right, we're tied. I don't want that, Mike. Yes, you do. Shawnee, if you were to purchase something made by Manolo Blahnik, what would you be buying? Really? If you bought something made by Manolo Blahnik, what would you be buying? This question is crap. Why? So it was the Sonny question. Crap. Everybody knows Sonny. Skye. No, I didn't. Crap. Not cool, Mike. Stop it and answer the question. Really? I hate it when you go long.
Is Sean pretending to not know? Is he pretending to not know? I haven't said one word yet. I haven't said one word yet. Is Sean pretending to not know? He hasn't even said a word yet. I haven't said one word yet. May he speak now? May I speak? Hello? You can speak. I recognize that those words, whatever it is, Manolo Blahniks is what I recognize. But I don't... I don't know exactly what it is. Is it shoes? Is it a purse? Is it clothing? Like, I'm not 100%. So, this is a guess.
I'm not kidding. It's a guess. Girls, is Sean now going to say the correct answer and pretend that he was thinking? I may say the correct answer, but I don't know that it's 100% true. Sean, do you think? Another question. Ladies, is this just a cruel way of rubbing it in? Basically. But then why is Sean sitting back? with his hand on his forehead, with a look like, I'm telling the truth. He's pretending. He wants you to think that you're brilliant actor. Yeah, very dramatic. Blah, blah, blah. Keep doing it, Sean. Shawnee? May I hear the question one more time? Yeah, sure. Oh, my God. May he finish. You're so late. You're really just... May he please. Oh, my God. Sean, the question is, if you were to purchase something made by Manolo Blahnik... You're the worst. What would you be buying? This is a guess, Mike. Go ahead. Go ahead, Sean. I'm not kidding. Go ahead. I may get this wrong. But it sounds like because you keep saying, I'm not kidding. Right. And this may be wrong. You're making it sound. If I get this wrong, it's going to be in all your faces. I hope it is in all our faces. And if not, it's going to be in all your faces. It's a win-win for us. So, Sean, what is it?
Mike, I'm going to guess and I'm going to say shoes. I mean, are you kidding me? I mean, are you kidding me? I hate you. You're horrible. I hate you. I like you. Not even a little bit. Mathematically, you see. Yeah, it's over. It's over, but I still. Oh, did I get that right? Yeah, you got that right. You're so stupid. Oh, that is great. Oh, it must burn even worse. Ashley, I'm going to give you your questions. Why? There's no way. Yeah, you have to answer it. You can do it. Ash, what boxer had the nickname The Real Deal? Ooh. Um, I, boxer? What's that? Fairweathered.
May Fairweather. Is it Calvin Klein? The Fairweather guy. May Fair for Weather. May Fair for Weather. May Fair for Weather. May Fair for Weather. I wish that it was on the line with that. What's the name? May Fairweather. Yes. That is incorrect, Ash. It was Evander Holyfield. Ladies and gentlemen, another victory for Team Awesome. Whatever. It's another victory for Team Awesome. Awesome. It's not Faye Mayweather. It's not Faye Mayweather. It's not Faye Mayweather. Faye Mayweather. Stupid. We're people of the world. The Mikey Show is on. But at what cost? At what cost? This is The Rock. Welcome to another Cable Fable Story Minute brought to you by AT&T. Once upon a time, there was a city mouse that came to stay in the country. He was a fast-talking mouse who told wild stories about inexpensive cable and exotic cheeses. Now, every mouse in the Tri-County area was taken in by his tall tails. Every mouse but one. And on the ER finale, a powerful night of goodbyes with guest star Steve Bumey. I'm the last guy you want in your ER. A night of season finales, Earl, The Office, and ER, only on NBC. The Mikey Show continues, featuring Mikey. I am a fat nerd, and it's really okay for you to say hello. Eddie. Hey, unless I'm provoked. Mikey Show's on. Selfie and kids. Rock 105.3. She irritated Ashley so much. Because she was getting a sandwich and she was asking for my opinion, which one she should eat. She goes, she's real cute. She goes, this one has marinara and this one is regular. Which one should I have? And I said, very seriously, you need to ask yourself, which makes you toot? Ridiculous. Turns out it's both of them.
Ridiculous. It's 7.58. Anne Heche asked her judge yesterday to give her a break on child support because she says she's practically broke. Senator Arlen Specter says Spygate is not over. Love Creed. Clearly it is. And when I loved Creed, I loved Pearl Jam. They were ripping off Pearl Jam. They were trying to. Oh, dude, when they first came out, they were trying to rip off the jam, dude. 35253 is our text. We haven't got one text today. Seriously. Seriously. Seriously. Seriously. What's up? I don't know. It's a Thursday. Wow. Did we tell the story on the air about how
Ashley accidentally tooted with her boyfriend. Because if we did it, we won't. If we didn't talk about it on the air, then we won't. We did, but we didn't get into detail. Like if the sheets went up or... They flew off the bed. Zeth just IM me. Not all the texts can be winners, dude. Which tells me the texts have not been good today. Like he was saying. Is it about your gas? Gassy clothes? You have gas. Yes, you bad gas. Actually, you do. I do. Everyone has it. I've talked to Mark. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, really? Yeah, but everybody doesn't do it in their sleep except for me, Chantel. Not everybody does that. I don't do it in my sleep. You do do it in your sleep. It happened one time. You do it in your sleep. It happened one time. And I don't even know that it really happened. It has not happened. I believe it does. Get Mark on the phone. He would deny that. That's not a true fact. Not. You guys, listen.
We're about to play a song for Ashley that she is unaware of. But I just want every P1 listening right now to know that this will be the most requested and favorite parody song in the history of parody songs. Why? What? It is about Ashley accidentally tooting next to Mark. He loves my stents. It happened one time and you don't even know if it smelled. I didn't even ask, bro. Love him so much. I love him so much. I do, Mark, I do. Are you guys ready for this? No, why? It's a love song and it's called The Wind Beneath My Sheets. That's genius. This is not cool, dude. And I got a... Weird look on my face. I sleep right next to me. Perfect time to lift a cheek and let one fly. I hoped it would sound like I was snoring. It's bad enough that I have big feet. I knew my dog.
Take the blame. My gas. It sounds like a frog just said your name. Absolutely great. I don't know if it can end right now. Are you kidding? It's an anthem. It's a ballet. I bet he never thought that. The wind beneath his sheet. This is probably making him mad. That hottie would smell like potty. Yes, the hottie. The hottie with the potty. You know, right? Right, Ash? You did not just go there. Right? You did not just go there. You know, like the hottie with the potty. Right? The most stupidest thing that I've ever heard in my life. Look at the women. Do you really have big feet? No, they're big. I have a prominent bone in my foot. It's a size eight. Gigantic. She was a size eight.
She forgot the word team. I just have a prominent bone in my foot, but it does not make my feet big. Yeah, it's like another foot, that prominent bone. It is not. It's not. I think she had a twin, but the twin didn't make it. Shut up. It's a penne sausage toast, but that's it. They're not big feet. No, dude. No, you have Hebrew national toast. You're not making it better by saying... Yeah, they plump when you cook them. Well, that's what my boyfriend calls them. Ashley did text messages. Oh, what'd she say? It says, I do not have gas. Please stop. Thank you. She actually texted that. Well, she has gas. So that's not. That is true. Everyone has it.
Yeah. Okay, but I'm... But not everybody uses it. I'm not... Okay, there's the girl that is totally okay with farting and burping, and I'm not that girl. It makes me uncomfortable. But you do it in your sleep. Okay, one time... Are you very comfortable letting them fly in front of your boy? Oh, that's a yes. That is absolutely a yes. I am not. I mean... No, no, no. It's a yes. I mean, although I'm single now and have been for a while, we all know this. Now we know why. Yeah. No, this is whatever. So what you're saying is, listen. Most of the time I've been with them for like three or four years. It's a human thing. And I mean, you know what? After that, look. Here. Now. Let's just let them go. I'm not about to go over in the corner. That's right. I mean, it's not like often. I don't, you know, it's just. Listen, Chantel. I don't have a problem with what you're saying at all. Thank you. In fact... I don't know. I know we're adults, Chantel. It happens. I leave the door open. It does, and I just feel like everyone makes a big deal when girls do it. I think everybody should enjoy me. Every part of me. Whatever. Listen, I don't want to keep all of me to myself. You want to share? I am not that selfish. I don't consider it waste. No. Shut up. I consider it...
A contribution. Everyone enjoy. Yes, my small donation to TootKind. Okay, please. That's all I'm saying. Thank you. 5701053, did you like the song? Can we never play that again? If by never you mean four or five times, yes. How could you not love that? Everyone hated it. Obviously. Text number 35253 is a text. 35253. Our phone number 570-1053. Mikey Show. Wow. This 805 has been just jammed up big time here. It's still pretty slow from the 15 in the North Park.
And now there's an injury crash just before Mesa College Drive, and that's got you backed up out of Mission Valley up to that scene. You're up to speed for a brief stretch, and then slows you again from the 163 up past another crash at Balboa. Finally out of it, once you get past Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. Northbound 5 is seeing some heavy traffic this morning out of Old Town now for a slow one in through Mission Bay. The westbound on the side of the 94, not too bad. A few brake lights here left over from 32nd Street into downtown. Your 8 commute westbound has been outstanding this morning. This has been a great-looking ride through La Mesa. Bunching up just a bit here past the queue, then again through Hooktail Circle. South 15 looking fantastic right now at Escondido. Just a brief slowdown through Rancho Bernardo. And then again through Carmel Mountain Ranch. But once you make that turn on to the westbound 56, it jams up here again. And then heavier still approaching Black Mountain Road for a slow ride all the way to the 5 freeway. And South 5's in trouble. An injury crash near the racetrack at Via de la Valle in the fast lane. Caught up with a commute here. You are bumper to bumper, hardly moving in single digits. Coming out of La Costa all the way in to Del Mar. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Okay, what? Those aren't the words. Not the words. Am I fine?
Yeah, very badly. Am I slurring now? Yes. Oh, snap. Oh, snap. Oh, snap. Oh, snap. Oh, snap. Oh, snap. Oh, snap. Oh, snap. Okay. She's out of it this morning. Do you even know where you're calling? Am I slurring right now? Yeah, bad. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. Ashley's trying to tell her she has pretty feet. That's funny. Welcome back. It's 8-14. Text number is 35253. A little bit later on, we got audio of an employee of that fast food place, Sonic. They got fired for...
Doing bad things with food. Get the sinuses looked at today. Oh, really? Yeah, find out some stuff. Wow. Mikey, tell Ashley she isn't alone. My girlfriend toots in her sleep all the time. See? Poor Mark, I feel his pain. That's P1 and Rosie. It happens once. It happens once. Mikey, that song was so moving and special. I almost cried. That was P1 Quimby. That was from the smell. Mikey, I just fell off a ladder at work. I was laughing so hard. Mikey had to pull over. I was laughing so hard. Did you ever know I can't eat tacos is the best lyric ever.
Mikey, I think you guys just caused several accidents on the freeways, P1JD. Mikey, that parody song was so funny, I was laughing so hard, I let one slip. That's P1Niona. P1Eric. My mother-in-law, she doesn't understand fart humor. Most women don't. They don't have that gene. Have you explained it to her? You gotta explain it to her. Sit her down. This is what I would say. Hang on a second, Eric, okay? This is what I would say to the ladies to understand farts and why they're funny. Listening. Men acknowledge that they do not smell good. We know that. We know they're gross. We know that. Absolutely. The thing that's funny is the way they sound. That's all. I agree to that. I'll tell you a funny fart story that Mikey did.
Oh, please. Eddie, don't tell it. Don't tell it, please. We went to see that movie Mallrats. Mallrats? Yeah, Mallrats. Back in the day. This is so stupid. What happened there? Different time. I was a child. First of all, I was a child. I was a child. Can we listen to Eddie, please? May he please. We decided this was over at the Grossmont. No, it wasn't the trolley. Hang on, Eric. And we go out the side door for some reason. I was a child, Sky. And I don't know why. But you didn't move to San Diego until you were an adult. But I was still a child. Yeah, we were in San Diego. And for some reason. I've grown up. Like totally normal. We walk out of the theater, just saw a movie. We were going to walk to our car. Mike decides he's going to run up to a complete stranger. Wait, talk about in the movie, though. Wait a second. Mike was inspired by the movie. I was inspired by the movie. Mallrats. And he ran up to a complete stranger and farted on him. Listen, listen, listen. They did it in the movie. They did it in the movie. You guys, you guys, you guys. You guys, you guys.
You guys, you did it in the movie. I was very childish. I'm a very different person now. I'm a real different person. It was in the movie, you guys. That is horrendous. It's horrendous. I understand that. That's hilarious. I'm different. That is the funniest thing I've ever heard. You would still do it. You're different. Sean, how would you feel if someone did that to you? You did it to Rob the other day. I'd be pissed. Pull out a knife and... shove it into their gut. That didn't happen. I'll let the rest of that gas out. That's terrible. That's hysterical. Awful, awful. It's really funny. Oh, that's awful, Scott. It's awful. You're just trying to make me feel bad. I shit. Yeah, that's hilarious. How can a person does that? Wow. Right? The hysterical one. Who are you? Whatever. That is genius. P1 Eric. Go ahead. You're on the air. Hey, I'm a friend of Ashley's in real life. You know, family friend, brother Brian. But I'm just going to say that song. I love your girl, but that was funny. I nearly crashed like three times. I was laughing so hard. Eric. Yeah. How do you know that? My brother Brian? You guys are friends? Yes.
Thank you. Well, okay. Oh, you're familiar with my tooth. Thanks for calling in and kissing me. P1 Shorty is on the line. Hi. Hi. I just wanted to let Ashley know it's really not that bad. I was actually on a date with my boyfriend. We used to have weekly dates. And we were bowling, and I totally let one rip, and it was by that air thing that comes out. But no, it was so bad. It was like green and purple clouds. And I didn't say anything because it was silent. But when he went over there, I just didn't think he could smell it. It's terrible. So I had to claim it. Yeah. You're like, hey, it's so weird. I think someone changed a diaper over there. I'm sorry, honey. I ate a cadaver earlier today. And you know what? We got past it and now it's a funny story. But think of it like gambling.
Because, like, I let them go all the time, and 90% of the time, he doesn't know. Here comes the money. I like you. I like you. I like your advice. Thank you. No problem. Snake eyes. Oh, I rolled craps again. P1 Cameron. Oh, no. Cameron, go ahead. Hi, Mikey. Hi. Hi, Cameron. Hi, Cameron. Robert here. What is this calling? I don't think of this. I'd like to talk some official business with you. This is Boston Rob. You may know me. Robert. I know you're up in corporate. It was an important phone call I had to make. It's the funniest story ever.
We're back in the office. Rob picks the phone up and has the audacity to, like, take himself seriously. Turns into, like, a different human being. Makes a phone call, like, and apparently it's professional. Hi, Karen. It's me, Mr. Stevens. And Eddie goes, and it's dead silent in the office, right? And he's making this important phone call. And Eddie, as loud as he can, Eddie goes, Hi, Karen. It starts me. It starts me, right? So then I go, yeah, it's Robert calling. And he's trying to, like, block the sound of us and have this conversation. Oh, my goodness. When can we get together for long? Jerks. All right, let's try to talk to Cameron one more time. Cameron, are you there? Go ahead. You're on the air. I'm wondering if you could play that fighting song about Ashley again, because I was eight years old, and I really liked it. Oh, my God. Absolutely. You're adorable. Absolutely. This song is number one with eight girls. This is our cartoon demo. Yeah, it's our cartoon demo. It's basically the humor that wrote it. It's basically the humor that wrote it. Oh, yes. There it is. There it is, ladies and gentlemen. Be quiet this time, Ashley. Wind Beneath My Sheets. Oh, you're gas. Only because this cute little kid just asked for me.
Or else I'd be freaking out right now. Well, I heard a rumbling in my mouth. Oh, my God. And I got a weird look on my face. For the record, Sky is just doing paperwork right now. Careless. Doesn't speak this language of humor. She's doing paperwork. To lift a cheek and let one cloud. Rob's got a giant. smile on his face. Sky, you hearing this? I hoped it would sound like I was small. I can burn this for you, everyone. Bad enough that I have big feet. I knew my dog would take the blame for my gal. Sounds like a frog just said your name. Fantastic.
It didn't sound dang cute. Alex is on the line. Yeah, I just wanted to know if the jolly old St. Tooter and her elf Ashley could come early this year. That would be fantastic. That's really a sweet thought. A sweet thought. I don't know. Let's go to jolly old St. Toot and ask. Jolly... Cassie. Cassie Claus? Please. Why won't you... Oh, she needed it to be official. Ladies and gentlemen, we now go to our tooting correspondent in the field. Let us now go to, please, let's go to Gassy Claus and Ms. Claus. Take it away. Not her name. Old Saint Tooth. Saint side of rice. Nope. Try again. Eddie just waved. This guy's not having it. This guy's not having it. Nope. 570-1053. Our text number, 35253. That was a touching, touching song. Beautiful. That exhausted me. Just absolutely gorgeous.
Really gorgeous. I should. Because it's not about me. I'm spent. Captain Stinkfort and the Blow Me Downs will not respond to that at all. Won't even respond. Old St. Beef and Cheese is saying, I'm not going to even dignify that. Not even going to dignify it. P1 Bro. What's up, Mikey? What's going on, man? Hey, man, I got a funny story about when I met my wife back in college. Yeah. A few years back, about 10 years ago, I went to her dorm to pick her up for our first date. We barely knew each other. And we're hanging out in her dorm. I'm getting to know her a little bit. And she's like, hey, you know, my back real hurts. Will you crack my back? I'm like, yeah, sure. So she does that thing where she crosses her arms in front of her chest. And I get behind her to pick her up and squeeze her to crack her back, and she rips one right off me. Almost like what Mikey did, but you guys were close. So we both had to act like we didn't even really hear it. And then we had to go out for our first date. It was hilarious. I don't think that there is a boyfriend or husband in the world that hasn't tickled his girlfriend at one time or another. Oh, coochie, coochie.
It happens. Please. You didn't have to freak out about it. It's a part of life. It is. Skye is so annoyed by it. But Skye represents a portion of the audience, a female audience. It's just like, I don't get it. What's the joke? Where's the humor here? I don't understand. Like, what part's funny? There's nothing funny about my music. That's what I call it. Tootie Streisand is what people used to call me back in college. Barbara Tootsand. Mikey Show. Yes? It's P1 Cholo. What's up, Cholo? Yeah, I had a story about the passing gas. Yes? Yes, we were making love, me and my wife, when I came together. I don't think you really know this. You know what? Honestly, that's the whole story. I think we got it. I think we got it.
I think we figured it out. It's easy. It's easy. That got weird. Sean, give me the teletype music one more time, please. I'm going to try this one more time. Ladies and gentlemen, we now have a toot story in, and we will go out onto the field and try to get some information from our expert. Ladies and gentlemen, we now go to Elton Johnson-Vilbrot. Elton, are you there? That's ridiculous. Elton Johnson-Vilbrot. Elton? Take it away. The Great Fartstachio. Are you there? There's a delay, I think. Maybe there's a delay from Tootsville. No, it looks like we lost our connection. It looks like there's no connection there. Mikey Show. That's a shame. Mikey Show. Hello. This is Steve. Loses control over... Gotcha. Nipped it in the butt there. Literally.
Yeah, I wouldn't pick up any of these, dude. I'm just giving you the heads up. I've got to hang up on a lot of these. It's probably a good piece of advice. Definitely. Let me screen these. It's probably a great piece of advice. Let me handle this, Mike. I've got to hear this Barack stuff. Well, Barack Obama upset a lot of people. And when I say people, I mean women. I'm going to play you the clip. It's from WXYZ-TV in Detroit of Barack Obama calling their reporter something. Cut 32. But he never spoke about the worker's biggest concern, their future. Senator, how are you going to help the American autoworker? Hold on one second, sweetie. We're going to do a question. This sweetie never did get an answer to that question. Wow. She is not happy. She is not happy. That's so gross. Yeah. I think she's tripping out on that one. She's making herself the story. Yeah. Like, I mean, there's a way to say sweetie where it's condescending, and that's not what I heard. He's being, like, nice. Yeah, I thought he was being nice. Yeah. I thought he was, by definition, he was being sweet. Yeah. Kind of. I wonder who this is. I don't know who the heck is going. Excited. Hello? I told you guys. Hey, baby.
You told us what, Barbara? First of all, this is Barbara. I am a part-time Hillary supporter, full-time black woman. Even though you're not. Yes, I am. It's clear you're white trying to get the black vote for Hillary. That's a lie right there, and I'll prove it to you that I am a black woman. How do you do that? To the left, to the left, all of your stuff in a box to the left. That's your box, and that's my stuff, and you better not touch it, or we're going to get rough. It's getting rough, Barbara. Keeping it gangsta. So anyway, you guys, that just proves to you that Barack Obama... It doesn't prove anything. What? No, you're good. You're actually okay. Yeah, you're doing good, Barbara. Okay, good. What is it, proof again? Are you sure I'm not sorry? Oh, she's already lost her train of thought. It's over, I think. Hello? Oh, no. Is she okay? I think she's out. I think she's out. Barbara. Hello? Are you there? Barbara. Barbara. Barbara. Oh, she's asleep. Oh, she fell asleep. Maybe we should just let her sleep. Hello? Sleep it off.
Oh, my goodness. Barbara, are you there? Hello. You just fell asleep, Barbara. Who's calling? You called us. Mikey Show. Oh, hi, guys. You called us. What were you guys calling about? You called us. I see. I see. And, oh, yeah, what was I saying? What was they talking about? About Obama calling the woman sweetie. Thank you so much. You didn't have to tell her. Thank you so much. Yes, it was Barack Obama, who is totally sexist. He's totally sexist. He's sexist, and you guys know it. And I just want to get the word out there about Hillary Clinton. She's the greatest, and she invented tampons. Oh, gross. She did? That's right. And so that's why she should get the female vote. And you guys, you fellas. She invented jock itch spray. She invented what? Your mother is a... Yeah, it's called, it's called gynelotrimine. No, that's... Don't make stuff up. You're ridiculous. You're confused. You should rap again or something. Is that something else? All right, guys. Well, I'm just really glad that we got to talk today. You go back to sleep. Nice. Just want to let Ashley know something that happens to the best of us. Oh.
Thank you. Thank you, Barbara. Thank you very much. We also invented eyes and pieces of pizza. So not a whole pizza, just the pieces. But she had the idea to start to slice it into pieces. Perfect. That's a good invention. That's the kind of leader we need. All right, guys. Take care, and we'll talk to you soon. She also invented Robin Williams. Goodbye. You lose votes for that. I wouldn't admit to that. Let's see. 570-1053 is our phone number, and our text number is 35253. P1 Frosty, are you there? Yeah. What's up? Hi. I just had a comment about the tooting. Yeah, go ahead. I usually let her rip while me and my boyfriend are eating and he gets really, really good. Oh, that's terrible. You're a pig. You can't pick any other time. Is that like the perfect opportunity? You're disgusting. What does it matter about you? I don't know. That's terrible. Now, let me ask you. Let me ask you. Why? I bet I know why. Why? It's not easy. It's not easy. How many brothers?
I have one brother, but my dad's pretty bad about that stuff. Okay. Now, were you raised with your mom and your dad or just your dad? More of my dad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I get it. It's starting to make sense. All right. Thank you very much. P1 Luzardi, are you there? Hey, how you doing, Mikey? What's up? I had to get up on stage in front of this class. It was a pretty serious thing, you know, where everybody's kind of quiet, and the room was all ominous. And I had to fumble with the microphone. It fell on the ground. And, you know, I kind of squatted to get it, and one just ripped out. That's terrible. Right by the microphone? Yep. It happens. It's the way to start, I guess. It happens. So... This is an investigation of our boy Shani. Yes! Shani writes, I usually go to 7-Eleven on my way into work. I usually purchase a sandwich. I like to warm the sandwich in the microwave. Usually the microwave is too dirty for me to use, but now that I go to the Arab dude, he lets me clean the microwave before I use it. I love it. He gets me Windex.
And I go in and I clean the whole inside of the microwave. I did it this morning. And most other days, he loves it. Did he not love it today? No, he loved it today. He did love it today. Can you imagine Sean? He doesn't have to clean it. Yeah, it saves him work. Yeah. But can you imagine walking into a 7-Eleven and seeing a customer so germaphobe? I wouldn't like it. He's so germaphobed that he is cleaning out the microwave with Windex. Well, it was weird because the first time I did it, I didn't know what to do. It was really dirty, and I really wanted that sandwich warmed up, and so I was kind of pacing back and forth. No, I know exactly what that's like with him. I didn't know what to do. Did all you guys just picture that as Shawnee? Oh, yeah. So I'm walking back and forth, and he finally goes, you know, can I help you with something?
And I go, well, I don't want to be one of those customers, but the microwave is really bad. And so he opened it up, and he didn't seem to think so. Although, trust me, it was bad. And so I pointed out all the little spots, and he goes, well, I can get you some Windex. Do you want to clean it? And I said, oh, yes, absolutely. So now when I go in, he has the Windex already at the front counter. I walk by, I pick it up. No way. I go over to the Slurpees. There are napkins right there. I pull out some napkins. I open the microwave and I... Go to town. And wipe it out. Man, the customers must love you because, hey, listen, they get a clean microwave. Yeah, but can you picture the 7-Eleven guy going home and talking about Sean to, like, his family? Like, oh, yeah, that weird guy came in again today. I don't think it's that. It's not that weird. The guy who has to clean the microwave. A little bit. Quick time now. When we come back, I got the audio of the employee at Sonic. It's a story about the employee at Sonic that got fired for doing the stuff with the food.
Tell you about it after this. It's such a great sport for San Diego and everyone listening. San Diego is really, really lucky to have you guys on the radio every morning. Rock 105.3. After a rough ride this morning out of the South Bay, 5805 northbound looking fantastic. Moving right along. The 805, though, is still quite tough here. It's backing up here still from the 163. Up to Governor Drive here, and now there's, looks like somebody went off the side of the freeway, hit an irrigation sprinkler, and I'm blowing water all over the freeway. North 805 near Miramar Road on the off-ramp there, so use some caution. The 5 freeway, a little bit busy coming out of Old Town into Mission Bay. 94 King Freeway, westbound, great in the downtown. Nothing selling you on that freeway. The West 8 is also outstanding out of the East County. It still bags up, though, out of Hotel Circle to the 5 freeway because that 5 is so busy northbound still. Looking fantastic out of Escondido. South 15, moving right along. Just a bit of a delay through Carmel Mountain Ranch. If you're traveling on the westbound 56, still finding brake lights here approaching Camino del Sur. From there, it's a slow ride at the 5 freeway. And heading south on the 5, still quite tough. Friday La Costa into Del Mar. There was an injury crash near the racetrack of Via de la Valle that caused most of that back up with the Camino there. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Great moments in timeout history. July 28th, 1984. 0-0, bottom of the ninth. A pitcher's duel? Hardly. It was just boring. Three hours of life that no one will ever get back. But then, a play for the record books. It wasn't a triple play or a diving catch or even the camera catching someone scratch a body part. It was short reliever Ned Niedersen in the bullpen, getting the call from his manager. The only problem, Ned wasn't picking up. Ned let that phone ring and ring, for he had already set up an umbrella over his chair and turned the bullpen radio from the game to all Calypso radio. An all-star effort in Corona's opinion, proving that when you get the call, answer it when you're darn well ready. Like when you're done with your ice-cold Corona and Lyme. This has been another great moment in timeout history. Corona and Corona Lite. Imported by Crown Imports, Chicago, Illinois. I'll let you guys know how much I really appreciate your show. I can't even read his name. It's... Not FCC approved. Mikey, Ashley, tell Ashley I heard a rumor that you are going to be at El Camino High School's dance show this weekend. Is that true? Yes. What is it? What's going on? What do you got? What do you got? You showing up there with the Chewbacca's or whatever they are? They're not the Chewbacca's. They are the Wookiees. The Jabberwookies. The Jabberwookies. The Jabberwookies. The Jabberwookies.
The Jabba Honkeys. What is going on? Remember when we did the K1 Speed thing? Yeah. Okay, so I met like P1 Supermom and her daughter. I believe it's Demi, like Demi Moore. Yeah. And she's a sophomore, I believe, at that high school. A sophomore. Her and I really bonded. Like, I kind of instantly wanted to be. like, related to her. She's an awesome chick. Do you know who I'm talking about? Oh, yeah, yeah. They're the best. Me and Supermom are, like, tight. Supermom is amazing. So I really clicked with them, and then... Eddie's rolling his eyes like, oh, boy, with these two over here already. And then, well, yeah, so I just really like the little girl, and so, well, she's 14, 15. So I'm going to go to her dance show. That's cool. Sorry to bore you, Eddie. That is very sweet. Thank you. That is very sweet. Stop talking about it now. Appreciate that. So we are going to... Did you not want to say, Ash? You didn't want to talk about that? No, but I didn't want to bore people. That's neat. I think that's really cool. It is. That's really cool. Me and my honey are going to go support her because she, you know, is a good listener. Wow. We are now going to... Eddie. That's pretty nice of him.
I said nothing. Why am I getting in trouble? You're so mean sometimes. You're so mean sometimes. Twice today you've been mean to me. Twice. We're going to explore the world of Chantel. We're going spelunking. That's right. Chantel, how old are you? 27. We're going to talk to Chantel. We're going to get to the bottom of Chantel. She's so insecure with Eddie sitting there. What's wrong? Let me explain. Let me explain. Okay. Now, every time Chantel comes in here, I say to her all the time, Chantel, what's up? Where's the boyfriend? You know, you're so beautiful. She's a San Diego Charger, former San Diego Charger girl. She hasn't not been with the squad very long. And she's got one of the coolest personalities. And so we're always like, so what's going on? You know, she's beautiful, great personality. What's the deal? So we're talking to her about it. We started to ask some questions. Now, one of the things that's very telling to me is I want to know all. Look at Chantel's. Eddie gets up in her kitchen, man, and she can't get him out of there. Yes, you are. I'm looking at you. So she told me all these different things. She's telling me all these things about her personality. So one of the questions I asked was I said, what do you drive?
I want to know, is she like a cute little VW rabbit girl or is she like a muscle car girl? Who knows? A little of both. She's a little of both. A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll. That's right. And I'm not going to say exactly what she drives. All I'm going to tell you is that it is a P-H-A-T. It is. It is P-H-A-T. It's very shiny. Yes, it is. And new. Uh-huh. And it's something that you would possibly see in Europe. Really? Or Britney Spears driving. Yeah. Yeah. Sweet. Yeah. Not to mention any makes or models. Yes. You are correct, Sky. Wow. And so I said, oh, you drive? Oh, wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. I didn't realize you were a CEO. Yeah.
And so I started asking questions. And as soon as we found this out, Eddie sits back in his chair. And he sticks his hand up to his chin. And he looks at her and he starts to squint a little. And very slowly shake his head like, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Interesting. It's all starting to come together. It really makes sense now. Why? And she says, she goes, I'm a little spoiled. I'm a little. I am. And so I want to know. So let's dive in. How long since the last relationship? About two years. How long did it last? Like three months. Did he break up with you? No. No, offended. Did you break up with him? Yes. Issues. Let's go for you. I don't have issues. I cleared my throat. You guys heard him clearing his throat. He went, issues.
This is supposed to be a safe place, Eddie. No, no. I don't feel safe. It's a safe place. I'm starting to build up. How dare you? To me right now. All right, Chantel. Yes, I care about you. Okay, so let's go before. You said that lasted three months. Yes. Okay, two years ago, you're in a relationship with a guy. For three months, you broke up with him. Yes. Now, before that. So that would have made you 24 when that happened. Yes. Okay, now let's go before that. How long had it been since you had a boyfriend before the three months? Like six. Six years? Months. Six months? Before that. So you're about 23, 24, before that relationship. And how long were you in that one? Two years. Okay, so you started dating that guy. You started dating that guy around 2021. Does that sound about right? No, I'm not. I know, but you dated this guy for two or three years. Oh, before, yeah, okay. Okay, so you dated the guy two or three years. So did you start dating that guy around 20, 21? Does that sound right? 22? Around 22. Okay. She's a baby. Where did you meet? I'm talking that guy. Mom actually introduced us. Okay, I'll get to it. I'll get to it. So it wasn't math class. Hang on. So that was about 22 years old. Let's go before that.
How long had it been before that guy that you had been in a relationship, boyfriend, girlfriend? It was four years. It was high school. High school. Throughout my high school years. So you broke up like with that boyfriend the end of high school. Yes. And from the end of high school till about 22 years old, single. No. Okay. That's okay. We're going to get to the bottom of it. Wow. It was like a year and a half. I had a boyfriend. So they've always. It's been pretty long. Gotcha. So, in between high school, which was about 17 years old, and 22 years old, there was one fella in between there. Yes. Okay. And that relationship lasted about a year, year and a half. Year and a half, yes. Now, high school. In high school, did you date the same guy? Yes. For four years? Four years. Wow. Did he break up with you? No. Did you break up with him? Yes. Any of these boyfriends, did they break up with you? No.
How many of these boyfriends remained faithful to you the entire time? All but one. Which one was he? The year and a half. Between high school, did you go to college? Yes. Here in San Diego? No. Where? Riverside. Where'd you go? UCR. Okay, so when you were going to UCR, you dated that guy. The year and a half guy. Yeah, right, yes. In college? Yes. Cheater. Yes. Big time. But you were new. You were in college. You were young. You were out there in the real world. Every girl goes, every guy goes through this. You're in college. You're out of the house. You're kind of like learning how to be an adult. Maybe not. You say no. Or is that how it was? No, yeah. Is that about right? Now, this guy, let's go to high school. Four-year guy. Still friends. Still friends with him. He thinks we're going to get married. Not going to happen. Not going to happen. You dated for four years. Yes. Were you in love with him? Yes. But then at some point you just said it's not meant to be that. I thought, you know, I was like, oh, four years. I can't just. If I were to stay with him, I'd probably be married now. Yeah. So I was like, I can't do that. I got to go, you know, date other people just to live a little. Yeah. And while you did that, you sort of. Eddie was giving her the.
Third degree eyes. Whoa. So what you're saying is you were like, I just don't know. I got to get out there in the day. And when you did do that, you realized, I don't think the four year high school guy was the guy I'm Mr. Right. Or is that inaccurate? What was the feeling? At one point I thought, dang, why did I break up with this guy? Yes. He was such a good guy. And he still is. And he loves me. He does. Shout out. But I just don't, but I just, I wish I loved him the same way he loves me. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So then you meet the guy in college and I bet that guy was Mr. Smooth. Yeah, he was hot and sexy. They've all been pretty hot. Okay, yeah. So this guy is Mr. Smooth. The cheaters always are. Yes, aren't they? Yeah. Those sucks.
When you found out that he was cheating, how did you find out? She called me. She called you? On his phone. From his phone? From his phone. What'd she say? Yes, I'm on the phone. Yeah. I said hello, and she said hello, and I was like, who is this, and why are you calling from his phone? And she was like, this is his girlfriend. I was like, actually, I am. And she was like, no, I'm at his house. I was like, well, don't you see pictures of me up everywhere? She was like, yeah, I do. I was like, oh, really? Okay. So what was going on? How did this happen this way? I have no idea. I don't even know. Did he try to offer any kind of, like, excuse? Oh, he didn't do it. They were just friends. And then he started sitting outside my house and crying and being stalker. I was like, yeah, seriously. Gosh. Didn't go. So you didn't go back with this guy, but now I got questions for you, Chantel. You have to be very honest. Were you in love with that guy? I love all of this. You're in love with him. I'm so into this.
You were in love with him and then he did that and that must have hurt really bad. OMG, yes. Okay. Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something, Chantel. Yes. Many times when these things happen, it is like when you break your heart, it's a lot like breaking your leg. And a lot of times when we break our leg, we don't go to the doctor and get a cast on it. So it heals wrong. Does that make sense? Yeah, but I think I'm good now. Okay. Okay. I'm just saying that it's been a little while. Yes. Now, one of the things that I have talked about, my brother introduced me to this theory. And when he first told me, I went, but the more I have like delved into it, the more I realized there may be something to it. And it's this thing called fear of intimacy. Now I'm not talking, it's not just it. Well, sometimes it is physical intimacy, but that's not what it really is about. What it's a fear of. Is emotional intimacy. There is a fear of emotional intimacy. What happens is. We start to sabotage. Because we don't want to ever go there again. Now what's interesting. What's interesting. Is that since year and a half guy. The relationships that you've had. They're not long lasting relationships. And you dump them. Interesting. But.
After him, there was Brian. But Brian was two years. Okay, let's talk about Brian. Let's talk about Brian. Okay, okay. Let's talk about Brian. He was a nice guy as well. Were you in love with him? Be honest. You know what? Honestly, I think I almost got to that point and then I realized that we didn't want the same things. He didn't want to have kids. And I knew this from the beginning, but I thought he changed his mind, but he didn't. And so before I got to that point, I was like, okay, it's time for me to. You know, I was like, you know what? I like you. And but I think we're on two different pages. And I don't know if I'm going to have kids, but I want to have the option in case I do. So I ended it. I'm just going to tell you what I'm seeing. I'm going to tell you what I'm seeing. I am no I'm no psychologist. He's good. I love psychology. I really love psychology, but I'm not a psychologist. Now, that first guy or the year and a half guy, that guy hurt your heart. OK. And. you feel that the healing that took place with your heart after that guy was fine. It was like, you know, you set the cast over the broken leg and it healed fine. Well, not at first, but. But then eventually. Yeah. Okay. Now, let me tell you what I, let me tell you what I think about those deals most of the time. Okay. What I think is, is that a lot of times, I'll use the analogy, we break the leg. And what we do is instead of having it, you know, by a doctor, professionally set,
put the cast on there, have it heal perfectly. What we do is we kind of do our best to set it ourselves, and we stick the sticks there. It's like we're out in an island, and we break our leg, and we take it, and we're like, and it hurts, and we put it in place, and then we wrap palm fronds around it and tie them, and we kind of do our best to jerry-rig it. Yeah, that's what I used. And what happens is that after a little while, it heals, Hasn't really healed correctly, but we walk on it, and we're like, yeah, we're good to go. Like, it's healed. But what the deal is is that it's actually a little still. Still a little limp. Still a little limp. Now, Eddie's giving me the break sign. Mike could do this for hours. Oh, man. I love it. I can do it for hours, and I really want to. How do you explain the high maintenance? What's our solution? I am not high maintenance. We're just talking. I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. She's a very cool chick. Yes, you did. Chantal, I want to continue this. I can't believe you just said I was timing. Oh. I'm just making sounds over here. We're going to take a time out when we come back. Well, first of all, Clint is here. And I want to talk to Clint from the BC and Clint show. He's going to tell us about something cool going on. And Chantal's not going anywhere, so we'll be back.

Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. I was looking to find a tough ride down the North County coastline and south on side of the 5. This is still pretty heavily backed up from La Costa all the way down in past Manchester, actually into Solana Beach right now. And north on 5, you'll find it back up here as you come up towards Nobel Drive. That continues up to La Jolla Village Drive here. Actually up to Carmel Mountain Road, there's an accident being reported there. On the north 805, that's still busy out of Kearney Mesa. They're pushing Balboa. That stays tough up to Governor Drive before it lets you loose. East County and South Bay rides are moving right along. No worries there. South 15, a brief delay to construction here in Rancho Bernardo. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Casting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. That's what I'm talking about. Oh, yeah. Start the morning off right. That's right. KIOC, San Diego's Rock. In the song, Some Guys Have All the Luck by Rod Stewart, he says, Some guys have all the luck. Some guys have all the pain. Some guys get all the breaks. What do some other guys do? They do nothing but complain. Yeah, they do. Eddie is killing it. Eddie is like an 80s video. I wasn't expecting Eddie to do that. I'm not sure what to do now. Oh, no. I didn't think I didn't know. I thought we were going to play a little bit more of that. The show continues. Rock 105.3.
Welcome back to the show. It is 9-18. John Edwards officially gave his endorsement to Barack Obama yesterday. Former Chargers center Curtis Whitley was found dead in his trailer at 39 years old. Boston Rob, what is this? What is it? Saliva or a puddle of mud? Sounds like a puddle of mud. You're silly. Shine down. That's it. Sorry about that. Or shine down. Tickle town. Is it tickle town? Be honest, is it Tickle Town? It is. So, got a report from Rebecca that Jake is doing really good. Had to take my boy to the hospital yesterday. He was really in some kind of pain. We don't know what, but we think it was toots. I can relate. Ashley can relate. That's right. Oh, well, Jinx. We didn't say it at the same time, and we said different things. Where is Clint? Let's get Clint on the mic. Clint. Clint, have a seat, man.
I told Clint, Clint is in many ways. Say it. People don't know this about Clint, and Clint would never say this about himself. Say it. Clint is, reminds me of the Badger. Here's why. What? The Badger has no known enemies. That's true. Clint is one of the nicest guys we've ever met. Yeah. For real. He's a good, good guy. Thank you. And Clint is Clint of the BC and Clint show. It's the same show that you hear that begins, breaks a lot of times like this. Do it. Rock 105.3. It's the BC and Clint show. He is a very wise man. So, no, Clint's in here because, Clint, what do you guys got going on that you want to let everybody know about? First of all, thanks for letting me come in here and hit this to the P1s and everybody. But, yeah, it is the sixth annual Mayride to support the troops. Sweet.
It is all going to benefit Homefront San Diego, which is for all of the local military here. We want to say thanks to past and present, but for the local military, here's what Homefront does. For instance, Mikey goes to war. Rebecca's at home. They have a car problem. They need a new engine. Because he's in the military, they call Homefront. Hey, we've only got $200. We can't afford the $1,000 to fix this engine. Dude, that's awesome. Yeah, and they'll help cover it through the network of volunteers. By the way, there is zero. administrative fees in Homefront San Diego. That's cool. This is what I think is really great and that people should know about both BC and Clint because you wouldn't know this. The Mikey Show, we support the military. We really like and care about the military. Let me tell you, man, BC and Clint are for real about it. They're above and beyond, man. They have a real, real passion. for the military here in San Diego. And I've always really admired that about both you guys. I mean, you can tell that you guys are really for real about it and that you just have a passion. What is it, too? Did you have a relative that was in the military? You know what? It's not that. I did have a couple of relatives in the military, but when I was younger, this is idiotic of me, but when I was dating an exotic dancer years ago. Oh, yes. Here's the deal.
You were an angel until this moment. I did that, fellas. But yeah, what happened was... Now, were you a dancer or were you dating a dancer? Both, and it was hot. What was his name? He was Mercedes. No, what it was was I was talking to my friend Mark years after I had dated this exotic dancer, and I used to say, man, I... I get so upset because a lot of military guys go in there and they look at her. She's naked, blah, blah, blah. And he looks at me and he goes, are you crazy, dude? I'm like, what? He goes, first of all, she's the one working there. Second of all, he goes, this is the military we're talking about. They should be able to do just about anything they want that's legal. And I'm like, you know, no. And after a couple of months of having these conversations with him about the military, he actually, the same age as me, taught me not to be an idiot and appreciate. That the military is, if not the most important thing in our country. One of the most important things. So he really taught me, a man my age, to appreciate what they do. And the fact that I never have to sleep in a ditch or get, you know, RPGs launched at me. Or, you know, being in 120 degree heat in the Middle East. I appreciate that. What you're hearing Clint say is something that he really believes and he's real passionate about. And they have been, you know, BC.
Same thing with BC. I remember when I first started working with him years ago. I'm sorry. That's him now, I think. He's still got a telegraph. Do you guys get this? Oh, we do. And you know, it's funny. I say to Barack Strap, our producer, that's what we call him now because he's supporting Barack Strap. That's funny. Well, you know, you're talking about how BC loves the military and all that. It's funny. When I first, there we go. Love the guy. Love the guy. I just can't figure out what's going on with that. But anyway, the first thing V.C. says to me is, when I came on the show, he goes, Clint? I said, yeah. He goes, what's your affiliation politically? I said, well, Republican. He goes, we're going to get along just fine, dude. Right on. And then we started discussing the military. I like boobs. We're going to get along. Rock 105.3. That's right. Well, cool, man. So support the troops. What is going on? What do people need to know? Yeah, what are we doing? Okay, this Saturday, there is a poker run for cars, bikes of any kind, starting between 8.30 and 10 a.m. at Biggs Harley-Davidson San Marcos. You go out, and basically by the time you're finished riding, you can win up to $500 if you win the poker hand. And we can explain that later if you want to call or email, because it would take too long right now. What? I can't hear you.
Oh, that is so annoying, that thing going on. Oh, is it that loud in your ears? Oh, yeah. And I'm hearing what the people on the radio are hearing. It's so loud. Oh, you know why it's so much louder right now? I just realized, because in the afternoons, in between the music, we play a music bed under when we're talking. So it's not as easy to pick up. Dude, it's so bad. I thought it seemed awfully loud. Awful. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that interrupted. Go ahead. So it's a motorcycle ride. You can win some cash. There's a registration fee, but that registration fee will include your free pancake breakfast. Also, Philly Frank Steaks and Hoagies is actually going to supply lunch. They're the best. Oh, my God. So good, man. For the after party. We've got sponsors who have put money up for the poker run. The All Clean, before I say this, All Clean No Nudity Bikini Contest. Awesome! We've got Six Reasons and Josh D'Amigo playing. We know Josh. Josh won our thing. Yeah, he won. Did you guys know this? Did you guys know that for Nashville Star, yeah, Nashville Star, for next season, you're going to see him. Out of 25,000 contestants, he made top 20 and then got eliminated. That's how far he made it. Wow. He's so good. Yeah, he is. And it's because he's not so country. So he's going to play for free. Wow. It's incredible. And superstar wrestler Bill Goldberg is actually going to be riding. Yeah.
That's awesome. Yeah, and it's all for Homefront. So, you know, you can go to hogsandheroes.com to check it out. Did you say hogs? Yes, hogs as in Harleys. But it's not just Harleys, Ashley. It is absolutely any bike or any car. But I just thought hogs since I ride a hog. We were going to call the morning show that before we just started a Mikey show. True. Close. But not because we have motorcycles. Yeah. Sean? So, yeah, we've got all the cost is covered this year for the first time ever. Rob, that just cracked him up. He loved that. That was genius. We're a hog joke. Did you hear that, though? I did hear that, Rob. Didn't quite tickle me the way. I can pull that for you if you want. No, I'm good. Thanks, dude. I'm good. Sorry. Not at all. Hey, listen. This is what makes this memorable. This is what's going to make people come out. Is it day after tomorrow? It is day after tomorrow. And if you go to the raffle and not the poker run, like just the after party from noon to four, once again, Biggs Harley-Davidson San Marcos. It's right off the 78 in Nordahl. All the directions are online.
It's virtually, for the after party, free. I mean, if you want to buy raffle tickets, we have over 100 raffle prizes this year. Please support it. I mean, if you're a P1, please support it. The reason that I thought it was going to be really cool to have Clinton is because we all really care about the military, and we also really care about BC and Clinton. We'd like to have this event turn into something really, really giant and special, too. Absolutely. Please support it. And the website they can go to, Clint? It is hogsandheroes.com. You want to spell that out, A-N-D, hogsandheroes.com. Or you can even go to rock1053.com, keyword troops, and there's a link. And I got to tell you, if nothing else brings you out there, the music, the food, the bikini contest, whatever, there is also going to be free back and neck massages, Sky and Ashley, from Simply Spa. She's a massage whore. Come on now. So there it is. And you know what? Is Zeth single now? I believe he is. He was just talking about that. I hope this doesn't offend any other... Wait, wait, wait. Hang on, hang on. Go ahead. Okay, well then, along with Zeth, I just wanted to invite Zeth, actually, to maybe be a judge for the contest, if that's okay. I know this is going to be really weird.
I don't even want to talk to this person. I'm hanging up on him. I'm not even going to go there. He's just going to keep calling. He's just going to keep calling. Yes, Dr. Wayne, what can I do for you? Oh my goodness, I can't even believe you knew it was me. What do you want? Oh, I just heard, you know, Clint on the air, and he was talking about the big benefit that's going on this weekend, and it sounds great. It does. And, you know, I heard him mention, is Zeth single? This is a new thing. I didn't know that Zeth didn't have a girlfriend anymore. Yeah, we haven't talked about it on the air, but, yeah, they broke up a little while ago. Yeah, well, one of the things I can tell you is all my years that I spent in, you know, sort of being a mentor to young men, I can, you know, put my arm around him and walk him through the process of pain. He doesn't need that. He's fine. I understand what a young guy goes through when he's heartbroken, and I just wanted to let him know that we're having a paddle party this weekend. What is that? I don't even know what that is. What's that? A paddle party? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, it has more to do with rowboats than anything else. But anyway, if it's a rowboat, it's an oar, not a paddle. If you want to this weekend, buddy, I could take you over to the benefit, and we can have hot dogs.
And, you know, we'll just enjoy Goldberg and hang out and do the whole thing out there. This is weird. Anyway, he hadn't posted that on his MySpace yet. Still says taken. So what's the deal with that? You want to explain that one? It doesn't. You're creepy. That's a good point, Seth. That's a very good point. That's no way to talk to Ashley. I wasn't speaking to Ashley. I was speaking to you, Dr. Wayne. Oh, no. Oh, no. Uh-oh, Dr. Wayne. Well, if he wants to be like that about it, then maybe he's not my favorite show member anymore. That's perfect, actually. Oh, sorry. Dr. Wayne, maybe you can make it up to him and take him out to the pregnant bikini contest that's coming up. Well, that sounds good because if there's one thing I love, it's girls and girls in bikini. It doesn't matter if they're pregnant or not, right, Dr. Wayne? What's that? They're pregnant. Oh. Hey, could you tell Zeth I'm going to be giving massages out there as well? You know, I am a Swedish massage and deep tube. You're making people not want to go. Legally certified in the state of Utah. Will you stop?
And just wanted to let Zest know that I'm going to be giving massages as well in my Xbox and beer room. So if he wants to come by the house, then I would be more than happy to give him a tour of my mansion. Enough. Now you have a mansion. That's right. I live in a mansion. I've got hogs myself and love to ride. Okay. Well, you can go out to the event. All right. Well, we'll talk to you later then, Knight Rider. What? Knight Rider. Huh? That was Doctor. What a strange call. So gross. Well, thank you very much. Clint, it sounds like it's going to be awesome, dude. So I appreciate you letting us know what's going on. It sounds like a very cool event. And is there anything else that we should get out there about? Are we good? Man, I'd just say go to hogsandheroes.com and check it out. Come out. And if you don't ride or drive, do the after party. Noon to 4, Biggs, Harley, Davidson, San Marcos. It's all for our heroes. There it is. Nice. Nice choice, Boston Rob. Thank you. Yeah. Texas, 35253. Still haven't got to that Sonic employee getting fired for putting stuff in the food. Do that. It's a Mikey show. We'll be right back. You are listening to the Mikey.

All the way into Solana Beach. Getting word of an injury crash here. South 5 just before La Jolla Villas Drive. However, the speed seemed to be okay right there. But I am seeing some heavy traffic coming down towards the 52 in the Mission Bay. So maybe they just put this accident in the wrong place. But watch for the brake lights there again. South 5 approaching the 52 in the Mission Bay. Northbound 805. Still a bit of a tight ride out of Kearney Mesa approaching Balboa. That stays slow up to Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. I was calling about the sleep train. Oh, cool. Did you go to sleep train? Oh, yeah. What'd you get, dude? I got the Carmelo Plus, or Super Plus. Nice. The Carmelo Anthony? Is it A, basketball, B, hockey, or C, football? Mike, I'll take the one without African Americans. Chantel, I don't know if you know this, Sky has a thing for black guys. I love them, in fact. Yes, I do. I have a thing for handsome men. By handsome, I mean black. I'm shocked at me.

So I know what's happening in their lives and I can go to it if I want to talk about what's going on in everybody's life. Boston Rob writes, went over to my boxing gym after work for class, but the day classes have been temporarily put on hold. Oh no.
Why, Rob? Something with the teachers. They're changing them out. I think one of the guys that trains us is training for a fight. I'll teach you. I think you'll like this next part. On my way home, I almost got nailed by a black Mustang, late 90s, early 2000 edition. I was merging onto the 805 from the 8, and while getting over, this car came whipping up at me. And if I didn't see it and get over, it would have been a bad accident. the car had to have been going $1.10. Now, this next part you're going to love. I tried catching up to them to tell them how much that upset me. Oh, Rob. It was a couple of dudes in their mid-20s, and when they went whipping by me, they would give me the worst evil eye I've ever seen. I was doing something wrong. Like, I'm just trying to merge over. I'm doing about 65, 70. Let go, buddy. No way. You're not bad. I chased these guys down until they got caught in traffic, and they couldn't. They were going back and forth three to four lanes just zigzagging. Well, I got to pull them over. I have road rage, too. And, dude, you're not a cop, though. What? You do road rage. You don't know that, Eddie. I'm so bad. I'm trying to control my road rage. It's hard, you know. What do you do? Well, yeah.
No. I would not want to get her mad. That's the thing. What? Are we getting to the bottom of something here? Oh, yeah. I know more about Chantel than I ever have. Wow. It's after today. Wow. We've had some conversation on that, too. Oh, my God. But you love me more now. Eddie? Yes. Okay. Well said. So, we were talking to Chantel. Oh, no. I was trying to get to the bottom of Chantel. One of her male friends texted her and said, I should call in. Oh, please do. 570-1053. 570-1053. What's his name? Don't do it. I don't know. Yeah, you do know his name. No. Because he knows what's up. No. He knows Chantel. No. So, Chantel. Yes. The last guy was two years ago. Yes. And it only lasted three months. Yes. And you dumped him. Yes. Why did you dump him?
We were better as friends. I just looked at it more as a friend. We, I don't know, hung out, and it wasn't anything, you know, like... No spark. Yeah. Yes. You gotta have the spark. No, no. Mm-hmm. No spa. Not even a spa. Not even a spa. No. No. Gotta get out. Now, you said that you're looking for a guy that's got a great sense of humor. Yes. Make me laugh. Oh, halfway there. We're only halfway there, though. Oh, well, yeah. We're only halfway there, see, because it's the other stuff I want to know. What is it that she's looking for? Now, we said earlier, yeah. What, Eddie? Eddie says I'm high maintenance. Yes. I asked him why, and he responds. There's a lot of reasons why I think that. I think you're cool. Don't get me wrong. All right. But every time. She comes in here. She's got designer clothes on, which is cool. She looks fantastic. I'm not complaining about it. There's certain things when you say to her that she gets all crazy. Okay. Call her names. Different things she said about how she operates makes me tend to believe she may be a little high maintenance.
I just like a gentleman. Yes, I like my door opened. And, like, if you come pick me up to come to my door. And, yes, I like that. There's nothing wrong with that. What else? Nothing wrong with that. What? What? I don't know. Like, what? Well, okay, let me ask you. Let me ask you. Do you think that it would be fair to say that you like, when you're in a relationship, you like to be treated like a princess? Sometimes. But I have to say, you could ask any of. my boyfriends. I'm a great girlfriend. You reciprocate. Give me some examples. Let's see. I've done a lot of stuff. Let me see. Just, even like just sending a card, even though we didn't live that far away, like sending stuff in the mail, just a cute little card or write little notes or I'm a good baker. If you don't get your way, do you throw a fit?
pants. Okay, wait. This is another reason why my relationship lasted three months. I would push him and he'd just do whatever. I'd need somebody to be like, looky here. Now. Very much like me. He didn't have any of that. I could just run over and I really pushed the envelope just to see how far I could get. Very disappointed. You gotta have someone who keeps you in your place. Yes. To a certain extent. Now, does that mean that you argue? In the relationship? I'm not a big arguer. I really don't. No, I'm really not. So, let's fast forward. We're talking to Chantel. Let's fast forward. We know that you like a guy that's funny. But give me some other physical aspects. Everybody's got a type. I think I really just like what I like. Although all of my boyfriends have been, everyone says they're like pretty boys. But I don't think so. I really don't. I don't know. Just funny. I like tall guys. You got a preference? Do you like brunettes, blondes, black guys, white guys? Tall, short. Tall, short? Tall. Well, as long as you're taller than me, we're fine. Dirty. Sorry, Rob. Dirty. Not going to happen. Not dirty. No. Rob, let me tell you. Can I introduce you to one of my friends? Zeth needs to get five jobs. Hold on. Zeth needs to get five jobs. Zeth would have to get five jobs. There's a cartoon based after my friend. He can't afford Chantel.
He is a funny, funny guy. He can't afford the relationship. What about the lovable loser? No. She needs a guy like my boyfriend. She's very similar to me. He's got a brother. I've never dated a white guy, but I'm not. I've never dated a white guy. I just haven't. But I've never dated a full black guy either. They've always been mixed. What would your mom say if you brought home a white guy? She married an Italian. She wouldn't care. No. The white man is the devil. Chantel. She'd never say that to me. I can't believe you just said that. I'd never say such a thing. Well. Yeah. What about money, Chantel? Here we go. Here we go. What about it? What about money? You like to be taken care of. Do these guys that you've dated in the past have they had good jobs and stuff like that?
No, just a regular job. Just a regular job? My friend has a regular job in the entertainment business. Your friend has a very low-paying entertainment job. Yeah, but he's got two jobs. Yeah. Ooh. Ever date somebody from the Geek Squad? No. I have not. I know you'll like them. I love them. I'm going to break you down. Okay. Just face it. Are you into piercings, like tongue and lip piercings? Because I know someone. You know someone, too? No, I don't think so. Are you into low income? What about slouching? What about a haircut that looks like you are from the movie American X? What about non-American full verbal articulation? What is this? Do you like a guy who mumbles? No. Because I got someone right up your alley. What about Charlie Brown? They can cry on cue. None of the above. This is going to be hard. Sensitive. Sensitive. I mean, sensitive. Guy's looking straight ahead at his computer right now. He's like, I'm not even going to dig this. You guys can see as much as you can. Listen, guys, I really want to read. I really don't care what you guys are. I'm happy with my husband.
Say again. Chantel, I would love to find you a guy. So would I. But I want to spend some more time talking to you. Go ahead, Ashley. Okay, so now that you're not a part of the Charger affiliation, can you date Sean Merriman? Okay, whoa, take it easy. No, I may not. He's such a cute guy. I cannot do that. Wait a minute. Wait a minute, Chantel. Chantel. What do you mean you can't? You're not a Charger girl anymore. You can do whatever you want. Yeah, but I wouldn't want to. Why are you going to hang on Sean? I'm not. Nor would he want to date me, I'm sure. You've got to see what happens when lights out. I want the lights to stay on. No. Do you know anything about chocolate? No. Why are you going to be like this? No. Shoo. Do you know anything about chocolate? Wait a minute. Did you hear that? That's what I'm saying. Whoa. That's the chocolate I'm talking about. That's right. Oh. 5701053. Are you tall, black, and good looking? You don't have to be black. It's funny. Just cute. You can be half. I'm black. You just have to be cute. You don't have to be black. You just have to be half. You just have to be cute. Once you go half, you never go back. Yeah. Wait. Wait. Hold up. Wait a minute. Hold up. Wait a minute. Once you go quarter, it's probably over.
Oh, my gosh. 5701053. Text number is 35253. Chantel, if the fellas that you've dated had to make one complaint, what would it be? Great question. Be honest. Be honest. I'm trying to. I'm really trying to think. Oh, Chantel. They would probably say I was spoiled, but they add to my spoiledness. So how are you going to complain? So they spoil you. Yes, not by just buying me stuff, but just, you know. Just babying you and princessing you out. You know, making you a princess. But I do that back as well. But they. Don't matter. Now, let me tell you something I know about the princess personality. I don't have that. The pee-pee, as they say. Okay. Is that a prince or something? Let me tell you about the princess personality. The princess personality in general. I'm generalizing. Okay. So this may not be you. Okay. It is. In general. Will you wait? In general, the pee-pee.
usually thinks that they are giving much more than they actually are. Usually. In general. May not be you, Chantel. It's not. But let me tell you. The princess personality, many times, many times, they know that they are being pampered and to offset any sense of sort of like Well, I'm being pampered quite a bit here. What they do is they say, well, you know, you'll never believe how much I give. But if you're saying, no, no, no, no. If you talk to my boyfriends, you would be just shocked at how much they tell you how much I give to them. Yeah, I think you would. You think I would? Yeah. No, I'm being serious. 570. 570. Yeah, 570. I'm going to call one of them one day and have them call in and tell you how great I am. One day after I talk to them first. No, I won't say. to say we're going to call you. I promise. And you can ask to leave you. P1 D-Shank. Well, why don't we just call somebody right out of the phone book right now, right out of your cell phone book. Why don't we just go to our address book and call somebody? Let's see if we'll answer. Wait a minute. Hello? Yes, go ahead, D-Shank. Hey, how you doing, guys? Good. How you doing, Chantel? Huh? We all have to. Oh, come on. Out of the gate. Come on. Out of the gate. You just went too far for me, homeboy. What can I do for you, D-Shank?
What can I do? Oh, come on, dude. What can you do for me? Okay. I was wondering how tall does tall have to be? Just taller than me. How tall are you? How tall am I? I'm 5'10". That's fine. That's fine with me, then. Oh, okay. So what do you like to do, then? Oh, D-Shank. Come on, bro. Maybe the worst. D-Shank. Please. I'm going to help you out. Let him go. Spit some mad... What do you call it? D-Shank, go ahead. No! It's just you two. Nah, dude, it's just you two. You need someone to help you out. D-Shank, how old are you? Rob, please, I beg you to let me talk. Eddie says to Rob the other day, he goes... You talk over Mike every time, and Rob goes, I got stuff to say here, though. He doesn't talk for the first half of the morning, and then the second half, he talks over you. That's caffeine kicks in, and he's just like, he's off. D-Shank, you're 19? Yes, sir. You're too young, brother. You're too young. But I got to tell you, bro. What's up? You have to develop that sense of confidence in the talking department.
All right. You know what I'm saying? You got to develop that sense of confidence and say to yourself, ah, man, I can do this. Right now, I think you have a lot of, oh, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. But just tell yourself you do and you will. All right. Thank you, D. Shank. Thank you. P1 Drew. Hey, how's it going? What's up, man? How you doing? I'm good. How are you? I'm doing awesome. So tell us about you. Oh, I'm 6'3", black, white, and Hawaiian. Ooh. Wait, what was the last part? I'm 25, 6'3". Black, white, and Hawaiian. Now, he's younger than you, Chantel. You got any rules about that? 25's not bad. Yeah. How many zeros in your annual income? Oh, my gosh. Don't answer that, please. It's important to her. No, please don't answer this. Oh, my gosh. Don't answer, but answer. No, don't answer. Oh, my gosh. Don't answer, but answer quickly. Laid back with my mind on my money and my money on my mind. Yeah. What up? It's got a few. Oh, really?
Yeah. Man, Chantel just shot up, man. She's like, no, no. I got a question for Chantel. Go ahead. All right. If we were dating, you know, we're good two years and I said, love ya. Would you take that the same as, would you take that not the same as saying, I love you? Two years. Right? Bro, you're bringing in baggage already. Yeah, dude. It's already... I've already had the problem. You're now P1 Samsonite. Oh, bro. Oh, dude. I just got that. Are you saying... That was a good one. That was like a joke grenade. Oh, man. Girls take it like if a guy says love you, they don't take it the same way as... I love you. Okay, wait. So, wait a minute. I think I misunderstood. You do say I love you far before that, right? Yeah, yeah, but... Okay, let me tell you something. I'm not a girl. Hey, wait, hang on a second, Drew. I'm not a girl, and I'll tell you right now that if you are, after two years, you don't say I love you, you say love ya, something's up. Love your mouth. Something's up. It's just like, you know, when you're getting off the phone, you know, you're saying, you know, right when you get off the phone, love ya. Something's up.
Something's up, dude. Bro, something is up if you do that. No. Yeah, there is. Yeah, there is. Yes, there is. I'm a guy. I know that there's something up if you say love ya. If you say love ya, there's a couple things that could be going on. Break it down, Mike. Love ya, mouth. If you say love ya, and this may not even be you. This may not even be you. But if you say love ya. You're doing something. Something's up and you feel weird saying I love you because you probably don't anymore. You probably don't. You're not in love anymore. And so you're saying love you. That could be the deal. Or what could also be the deal is you actually want what she's doing, which is complaining that you're saying love you. You actually want that. You actually want her to verbalize to you that she doesn't like it and it doesn't make her feel loved. And then you get to be the big cool guy going, hey, what are you talking about? I was just saying love you. Why do you got to get so worked up over here? What are you so worked up about? I can see where you're coming from. But for me, it's like the same. It's just the same thing. No, it isn't. It is not. You say love you to like your co-worker. I mean. You know, you say love you to the person that you love. We say love. Love ya.
Okay. Guy says love you anyways. Dude, no guy. No guy says love you to his lady. Like, dude. Guys don't say that. Listen, Drew, I'm just telling you, bro. Guys don't say love you to a chick. Not their chick. Right. They don't do it. Say again? Is it just impersonal or? Wait, wait, wait. Is it impersonal? Yeah, like. Before you ever. Before you. Asked me the question. Before you said it to her, you knew it was impersonal. Oh. You knew it before you said it to her, and you knew it before you asked me. You knew it was impersonal. That's why I say, I think there's a part of you that actually wants the, why did you just say love you instead of love? And you were like, licking it up like honey. Not at all. Uh-huh. Maybe it's just the same. Okay. See, he doesn't know that we're honest here on this show. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You need to be honest with us, bro. Please. No, you're not, bro. Listen, you knew. Okay, thank you for the call. Bye, Drew. That is usually indicative of a younger person as well. That is. It's a very, it's indicative of a young guy. Love ya. 570-1053 is your, listen.
All she's looking for is just a normal guy with a name like LaDainian or something. You know, that's all. That's all. That's all I'm saying. With a salary like somebody named LaDainian. No! Maybe it was the little paws grabbing plastic batting helmets or constantly yelling, get your souvenirs here. But mostly it was people with hot dog breath screeching about phone finger prices. Harvey was in need of a Time Out.
So he shut the door to his merchandise stand and headed to the Rafters, where he took a timeout and took in the game. Sure, fans picked the lock and robbed him blind, taking every jersey, cap, and gaudy pennant that wasn't nailed down. Sure, he was forced into bankruptcy, but for 60 seconds, he was in the Rafters and in the zone. So whenever life throws you a nutball, grab a cold Corona, a lime, and go ahead and give them a foam finger. This has been another great moment in timeout history. Corona and Corona Lite. Thanks for asking. Just wanted to say, first of all, good morning to everyone on the show. And second, good morning, Chantel. There you go. Well done. Well done. Listen, the guy's got his, he sounds about 50 times more confident than the other guys. Well said. Go ahead. What did you want to ask Chantel or say to Chantel? Well, you know, because it's radio and there's rules and stuff. Well, you know, I don't want to sound all freaky or nothing, but I'm 23, 6'2". I'm not African-American, but half white and then Filipino-Japanese. Wow, Chantel's got to look right now like somebody just called and offered her a four-story building in the middle of, like, Tampa, Florida. She's like, sounds great, but what am I going to do with it? I want to know what he meant by this is radio and there's rules. Yeah. Well, if there was no rules, I would be cussing at her and letting her know. Oh, no. You didn't know who's boss. Stop, because it's creeping me out.
White and Japanese. There's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with that. It's just not black. Anthony was, my three months was white and Filipino. Oh, there you go. Damn. How about that? This is way too white for me, homeboy. And he's 6'3". That's good, too. What do you do for a living? I work at Scion and Toyota of Escondido. That's not a bad job. Doing what, though? Yeah. Wholesale parts. But he is a little young. Yes. 23. Ah, Chantel's like, yes, an out. No. No, I'm just... No, it's not like it's an out, but 23 is... It's a little young for me. It's a little young. She's 27. I'd get that. That's true. Mikey Show. Hey, it's T1 Shogun. What's up, Shogun? Just wanted to talk to Chantel and good morning to you. Good morning. How old are you? How old are you, Shogun? I am 24 years old. 24. Man, we got all these young guys. Would you prefer younger or older? Um, not, I mean, just around my, I'd say 25 and, you know, to like, I don't know, 30-ish. So nothing over 30. Wow, Chantal just made a face. I don't know. Yeah, it was like, it was as if I suggested that she date a rattlesnake. Oh, that's a rattlesnake. What am I going to do with that? It's like you threw a box of rotten onions, you know, right in front of her face. Maybe, I don't know.
It's good for his age. I didn't say he's 33. I know. So 25 to 30 is really what you're looking for. I see. 25 to 30. Rob, can you give me the call screen up there? Give me the call screen. I don't know. I don't know that we have any guys that are in this age range. P1 Will. How old are you? How old are you? You're six years old. That's not bad. It's a little young. I think he said 26. Oh, 26. Oh, that's different. You're 26. Yes, sir. Yes. Awesome. And are you black? That's a question, that's all. What's the matter with the question? What's wrong with that question? You can't ask that question when I'm taking a sip of coffee, Mike. It's a fair question. Wait till I swallow the coffee first. Fine, I'll rephrase it. Are you black?
Do you know anything about chocolate? Yes. Yes. Do you know anything about chocolate? Do you know anything about chocolate? I make chocolatey. That's the kind of chocolate I'm talking about. It is. That's the chocolate I'm talking about. Will. Yes. Are you black? I am black. You are black. All right. Now we're talking. Now we're talking. Now we're talking. What's it like to be black in America? All right. And you are six foot two? Yes, I am. And what do you do? I work security. Well, you better work eight security jobs if you want to date Sean. It could be for Diddy. It could be for Diddy. It could be for Diddy. Maybe he's making, you know, $750,000 a year. There's nothing wrong with your job, Will. There's nothing wrong with Will's job. Will, do you know how to treat a woman? I got three sisters. There you go. Good sign. Okay. That's a good sign. You lay them down in the tall grass and let you do your stuff? Okay, that's one way of putting it. Fleetwood Mac put it that way once, too. I don't know. It's the lyrics of a song. Well, let me tell you. Chantel is a very beautiful woman. She likes to be treated like a princess, Will. And once every three years, she'll send you a card in the mail. Oh, my gosh.
That was perfect. Chantel is a great girl. She's a great catch. Yes, she is. She really is. Like, genuinely. She's a lot like me. So, you know, just keep that in mind. Well, don't keep that in mind because she's a great catch. She's a great catch. She's not crazy. Yes. Who? It's getting hot in here. So hot. What's up? So take off all your clothes. Okay. Huh? Will? Yeah. Listen. You sound like a great guy. I don't know that you're right for Chantel. I don't know. I'm not saying anything. I don't know any of this. What celebrity do you look like? I look most... I don't look like anybody. I look like me. Are you Usher or Urkel? No, my skin complexion is kind of like Wesley Snipes. There you go. What do you think, Chantel? Always bet on black.
Chantal says, nah, too chocolatey. Too dark. Are we talking Passenger 57 or U.S. Marshals Wesley Snipes? You don't have it. How's your haircut? Are we talking Blade 3 Trinity? Come on. Waiting to exhale. Oh, that's a sexy. He was. He was. I must admit. What does your haircut look like? You got the fade working? I got dreadlocks. You got dreads? I like dreads. Chantel likes dreads. She likes dreads. All right, send a picture in and tell us about you and maybe we'll pass it along to Chantel. Sounds terrific. Thank you. That's Will. I will. I like Will. Do you? Yeah, I think he's cool. Sounded good, yeah. Mikey Show. Yeah, this is P1 White Rabbit. No, no. Shut down. Shut down. I'm not even giving a chance. Ash has my back. Man, wow. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, P1 Diggler. What's up, Diggler? I'll take this girl out here. Yeah, but you're a white guy, bro. No. Are you half black?
I'm a quarter. You are not. You are not a quarter, Black. Please. I can tell. Come on. Yeah, I'm a white guy. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey. How you doing? Good. I was wondering, you know, should we make a final decision or shouldn't we, like, maybe hear from, like, Barbara or Eunice on this issue? Yeah, probably. I'm sure they'll call in. They'll call in. That's on there. That's up to them. Yeah. Well, thank you. Mikey Show. Yo, what up, Mikey? You want stuck in the trunk? What's going on? Yo, bro, Chantel, right? Yes. What's up, Chantel? Hi. I like him. What's up? Hey, I work in construction, 6'1", bald. I don't know. What kind of guy are you looking for? He's got a good sense of humor and everything. You do. You sound nice. Thank you. And how old are you, you said? 32. 32. Uh-oh. I like it. What do you think? Oh, sorry about that, bro. Wow. 32. 32 is not. No. Wait. Wait. Wait. I said. Sorry, bro. No. 32. 32 could be okay. Oh, I have a question. Can you still control your own bowels or do you have to wear like a diaper? Oh, my God. 32 is okay.
How can you call in with that broken hip? Yeah, exactly, bro. How are you calling in without your dentures falling out on the phone? Send it in and we'll... Yeah, send it in. I'll take a look at your old wrinkly body. That's terrible. Who is this? This is O.J. Simpson's mother calling in. This is O.J. Simpson's mother calling in. I just said that, Eunice. I got a question. What's your question? Why is it that... She won't just say it. Say, I want to date a black man. Ain't no nothing wrong with that, girl. Nothing wrong with that. I didn't say anything was wrong with that. If your son is an example, then there's a lot wrong with it. My son is a wonderful man. I don't know about that. He's done things in the past that are... I don't know what he's done. Well, I do.
You have no idea. I do know. I watched the trial. I'm not your sister, Cracker Jack. You don't need to go there, Eunice. You better calm down, lady. You don't know anything. That's my new husband, Chauncey. Chauncey, you shut your mouth. Oh, no. I'm going to go over there. Eunice, calm down. Whatever, I got to go. Eunice Simpson calling in. She's a sweetheart. They're always fighting. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, good morning, everybody. How tall are you? How tall are you? How tall are you? 5'11". Oh, boy. How much money do you make? I'm not going to disclose that. Are you black? Yes, thank you. Are you black? I'm not black. Oh, come on. Can you dance? I'm white bread, but hold up, hold up. Go ahead. Hold up, wait a minute. I was going to say that it seems like all the guys that Chantel's going for, or the kind of guy that's going to cater to all her needs, and maybe she'd try something different. Hey, Chantel, what about that? Maybe. Love him a loser. Here's what you do. Date a guy that doesn't make the giant salary, but is a little bit, you know, like he'll give you everything. Number one, I've never dated anyone with a big salary. Okay. Who's buying that? Yeah, everybody should be. Not one person, but anyway. Hey, you...
So I say maybe you try something different. I like different, but I still like to be treated like a lady. Okay, I know a guy. He's a white guy. Uh-oh. He's up. But he's tall. Very handsome. He doesn't make a gigantic salary. Is he smart? He actually is. I don't believe you. Continue. Okay, you got me there. Wow. Why would you even do that to me? You know what's fantastic? You know what's fantastic? Zeth would be a great boyfriend for somebody like Chantel, but I think Chantel would get bored. She would say, forget it. She'd walk all over it. She would just shomp it. Hey, Zeth! It's a challenge. She wants the challenge. He's got no backbone. Wait, wait, wait. Really? Yeah, right. He's like a alamander. See, this is one of the things that I try to tell Zeth is that
You can present a challenge simply by not letting them make all the choices. You will be then presenting a challenge. If they are not in charge of every choice, you're presenting a challenge. But I think that many times... But I don't care. That's what happens. Seth, really? No backbone? Really? I'm like a salamander. Chantel, it isn't that he doesn't have a backbone. It isn't. That's not it. You know what I'm saying, Eddie. That is not a salamander. You know what I'm saying, Eddie. Don't they have backbones? I don't know. They do. It's like that material cartilage. Brilliant. That's what I'm saying. I'd rather be stupid than be someone without a backbone. He has a backbone. Like a salamander. Don't take it personal. Zach, don't read into that. She said much worse. Don't analyze it. It'll just make you crazy. She reads it in a loving salamander way. That's a lie. No, it's not, Sean. She loves salamanders. I'm only going to take one more call about this. I'm going to give Chantel the choice of which call she wants me to take. I love this. I'm going to read you what the calls are. You pick.
P1 Speed Racer is tan and a surfer. Very different. I want to learn how to surf. P1 Geronimo wants to say what's up to Chantel. And P1 Cameron is 6'3", works construction, is black and Puerto Rican. Puerto Rican. Look at her eyes light up. Like a kid on her slot machine. Puerto Rican. Like a slot machine. Hi, mommy. Hi, party. P1 Cameron. Hey, what's going on? Cameron, how old are you? I'm 23. Excuse me. I just turned 24. All these young guys. She said 25 to 30. I'm young, but mature for my age. Are you really? Don't fall for it. See, Chantal, this is your first problem. You're going, are you really? No, I was just saying, are you really? I am really. I'm telling you. Oh, that's good.
That had to have gotten... Wait, wrong one. That's right. He's got the Carmen Miranda hat on. Yeah, he does. He's got the fruit hat on. All right, we've got to get out of here. 570-1053. Call us right now. 570-1053. Clear the lines. That's right. I'll tell you what, man. Chantel, give me a little time. We'll fix it all up. Just the perfect guy. All right. 5701053, and then we've got to stick Zeth out in the sun for about, I don't know, four or five days. You know what I'm saying? Why? Because he's selling heaven? 5701053, we've got to get out of here. Beginning and end of every show. We do open phones. You can call in about anything you want. So give us a call. And, by the way, thank you to Divine Postabilities for bringing food today. It was fantastic. Amazing.
Thanks to Andrew for coming in. Andrew's our P1 that won the opportunity to come hang out in the studio. What happened? I just got the thing. It said name, so I just put my actual name. It's all good. There you go. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, I was wondering where I could get a P1 sticker. They are available at the radio station in our lobby. Awesome, thank you. Thank you. Mikey Show. Hey, this is Brandon. I just started listening to you guys earlier this week. You guys are freaking awesome, man. Oh, thank you, man. Awesome. Thank you. I live in Oxnard, California, and I come down here for work. I have to listen to you guys in the morning. I like to get up early just to listen to you guys. Oh, that's awesome, dude. That means a lot to us. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Hey, no problem. Hi, man. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey, it's Rob. What's up? Hey, I just wanted to say you should hook Beto up with Chantel. Yeah, dude, I told her I would go out with you. No way. No way.
You're only 14. No, I'm not. Yes, you're only 14. I'm not 14, dude. I'm 26. No, you're not. I'm almost too old for her. You're 14 and you're Mexican. You're nothing that she's looking for. And you're poor. You're a little kid. First of all, dude. You're scrawny. First of all, dude, I'm half Mexican and half black. No, you're not. No, you're not. Yeah, I am, dude. Yeah, I am. What else? I drive a Jag, dude. You do not drive a Jag. You ride a bike here every day. Yeah, and it's, like, rusty. Yeah, dude, the only reason I ride that bike is because my Jag's in the shop. Oh, really? Forever? Yeah, because it keeps getting ripped off and taking the chop shops in Mexico, dude. And every time I'm all, like, calling LoJack, I'm all, what's up, man? Hey, how come you guys can't figure it out, man? Oh, well. That's what I'm constantly doing. Don't buy it, Chantel. I'm not. He's a 14-year-old kid. Yeah. Mikey's nephew. Yeah. Hey, dude, everybody knows that every girl's like me, man. Every girl. White girls, black girls, Chinese, Korean, American, Indian, Filipino, Cablan, Asian, Vietnamese.
Everybody. Honduran, Chilean, Australian, Hungarian. He made a test in a geography class. Yeah, dude. Every girl in the world likes Beto. You know how come, dude? No, we don't. Because I can bench 350. No, you can't. You are 90 pounds. You're 90 pounds, Beto. Dude, and this one time, dude, I walked up to this girl and she was all, whoa, you're cut. And I was all, yeah, you want to see my muscles? She goes, yeah. And so I took off my wife, Peter, and she was like, whoa, you have the hugest muscles. You don't, though. And I was all, yeah, that's how come I can get everybody pregnant. And she was all, whoa. Don't get me pregnant. Don't get me pregnant. Okay. Because it's getting weird. What did she say? And I was all, you better. Because people just get pregnant around me. And she was all, ah. He doesn't even know how. She ran away. You have no chest hair. You want to know what, dude? She got pregnant. That happens. After running away. That's my nephew, Beto. He doesn't even know how people get pregnant. They're so young. Talks a lot of pop-ups. Why would someone even say that? Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. Yeah, Chantel? Yes. My name is Montel. How you doing? Fine. How are you, Montel? I thought that, you know, just with our names, Brian, we might, you know, hit it off. Chantel and Montel. What a great line.
Chantel and Montel rhyme, so maybe you have a future. What do you think, Chantel? I don't know. We didn't ask him any questions. I think Chantel's more discouraged than she was when we even started talking about the whole thing. About the whole thing. And here he thought we were helping. We don't know how old he is or anything. I don't know. You know what we should do? Maybe we set up a Chantel page on the website. For real? Girl. Because if people don't know what she looks like, once they see, they're going to be like, Sign me up. Yeah, but that's not the point. That's not the point. You don't want a guy that likes her just because she's gorgeous. Okay, but it definitely helps, Mike. Oh, wow. Look at Ashley. She is a wreck. She is a wreck. Good God. Love her.
All right, let me explain some stuff to you. On the end of the show on Fridays, I do this thing where I give you my testimony. But we're not going to be here tomorrow. And the reason that we're not going to be here tomorrow is because I'm going to get baptized. So it's almost like, wow, what a kind of cool tie-in, getting baptized tomorrow. And it's a symbolic thing that says that I give up my old life for this new life. And that's kind of what my testimony is about when I give it to you anyway. So I'm going to tell you what the deal is. I used to live my life in a very different way. In fact, I got to a point where I felt like I was completely, 100% morally bankrupt. I lived a life that I thought was something that I always wanted. Whenever I would think about the life that I had before I had it, all I could ever think to myself was how great that would be. To be friends with rock stars or to maybe have a certain kind of car and to be partying all the time. And so events sort of presented themselves to where I was living in that lifestyle. And I started to drink more and more and more. And eventually I became addicted to alcohol.
And so I wasn't able to drink like regular people. I was drinking every day. And I was drinking to the point where I'd get really sick. And I would close the blinds at the apartment I lived in. And I didn't want anybody to know what was going on with me, not even my family. And so I would turn the ringers off on my phones, turn the ringers off on my cell phone, turn the ringer off on my regular phone. And I would make a lot of excuses, tell people why I wasn't available. Oh, I was doing this or I must have been doing that. And the truth is it was because I just wanted to get drunk and escape without anybody interrupting me. One day my dad asked me if I could come over to his house where he lived with my mom about 30 minutes south. And it was on a Saturday morning that he wanted to talk to me. And I was kind of bummed out that he wanted to talk to me on a Saturday morning because I started drinking Saturday mornings. I knew that was going to take away from it.
what he was going to talk to me about. I knew it instinctively. And he told me that he couldn't have a relationship with me until I stopped drinking. And I was angry. And anger is hurt, sadness, or fear. I was all three. I was hurt that he would say such a thing to me. I was sad that I wasn't going to be able to talk to my dad anymore because I knew instantly that the alcohol had to come first. And I was fearful that what he was saying was right, that I was addicted to alcohol. And so I left there. and bought a big bottle of alcohol. I started drinking that morning. I would get up and go to work. I had stuff on the internet. I was doing anything to fill up a big void in my life. It wasn't very long after that. I was laying in bed. Tears streaming down my face. I wasn't crying. Just tears coming down my face. Staring at the ceiling. Jesus Christ to come into my life and to change things for me. It just felt warm. We felt very shortly after that I told my friends and my family that I was going to be
seeking treatment for alcoholism, and they were so happy, man. They just were crying tears of joy. The presence has never left me. You hear, it's really weird, man. You'll hear, like, if you grew up, especially, I grew up Catholic, so I was very familiar with this concept of Father, Son, Holy Spirit. I've never said this on the radio before. This will be the first time I've ever said this on the radio before. This is neat. It's really beautiful to me. I don't know why I've never said it, but he's the one that made everything, oceans and mountains and all that. Son. The son, Christ, walked around, historical figure. Nobody doubts the historical part of it. And the Holy Spirit, that's the one that I felt that night. And that's the one that actually did the work inside me. He did all that work inside me so that I'm different now. I'm a different person today. Tomorrow, when I get baptized in water, it's going to symbolize that whole love for him and like a whole new life.
I only tell you this testimony thing on Fridays, today's Thursday, because we're doing that tomorrow. But the only reason I tell you this is because I want you to know what happened with me. That's all. I just want you to know what happened with me. Took a guy that was lonely, that had been through eating disorders, that had been through everything that you could imagine. Every kind of loneliness, every kind of despair, every kind of low self-esteem and feeling of worthlessness. He took that and he changed it into something new. I can tell you that one of the biggest parts of my personality when I used to do this radio show before was a lack of confidence. And it was just who I was. And I can tell you that today, I got it. I got a confidence today. I really put my boots on in the morning like a soldier. We play this song at the end of the show on Fridays, and it is about hope. Because there's a lot of people listening right now that just don't feel like they have that feeling. They have no sense of hope.
That's what this song is about. It's about hope. And for me, my story is that I found that, man. I found it. I found it. And it was Jesus Christ. The song is called Tunnel. And it's by a band called Third Day. And it's all about hope. We will see you again on Monday morning. Lovely and talented Missy is up next. Have a great, great weekend. And be here listening tomorrow morning. Do that for us, will you please? Be listening to The Best of Mikey Show, and we'll see you back here again on Monday morning at 5.30. Missy is up next. See you Monday.
