The show opened with Mikey joking about the Padres' struggles and Petco Park's pitcher's park reputation (P0). Mikey then revealed his new acoustic guitar and his renewed motivation to learn (P2). Eddie's coffee-fueled antics sparked playful banter about his near-insane behavior (P4). A memorable gross moment occurred when Ashley's sweat rubbed onto Eddie's knee after a trip, leading to a rash and meeting disruption (P12). Ashley repeatedly tried to get the team to play a secret song, but refused to name it, fearing it would ruin the surprise (P14‑P18). The interview with Border Patrol agent Todd Nagle highlighted his job satisfaction and encouraged listeners to consider the career (P72). Tito Ortiz candidly criticized Dana White, discussed his book, and expressed interest in creating a fighter‑owned promotion (P172‑P181). Finally, the crew’s confused discussion about the Bonnaroo Festival ranged from mistaken animal belt definitions to the actual music festival lineup (P195‑P204).

It is 6-0-6. Fourteen construction workers were hurt when a gas leak caused an explosion yesterday at the new Hilton Hotel under construction downtown. I know this is starting to sound like a broken record, but the Padres, they lost. What a surprise. They lost to St. Louis 8-2. Cardinals hit four home runs in Petco Park. I thought it was the pitchers. We can't hit home runs there. It's the pitchers park. Opposing teams can hit home runs. So when we don't hit the home runs, we say, well, of course, it's a pitcher's park. Yeah, it's too big. We can't do it. Can't do it. But when other teams come in, they seem to not have that problem. Yeah. Which I don't understand. That is weird. That is weird how they do that. I wish we could do that. It would be nice. Welcome to the program. So are the Padres the worst team in all of Major League Baseball? Yes. Uh-oh.
Didn't necessarily expect that answer. Oh, and our best player, Jake Peavy, headed to the disabled list. Is that right? That's not good news. Not what I expected. Well, good morning. Let's see. Why don't you call us? Let's get the morning started off right. Call us right now. 570-1053. As you're doing your routine, many of you are already on the road. Although I would think that most people at 6.07, what do you guys think? Are most people, is this shower time or is this because we live in Southern California and there is commute times, is this, forget that, we've been in the shower already, we're on the road now. Half and half. Half and half? Yeah. So half the people are still getting ready. Yeah. And have their radio on while they're brushing their teeth and doing their morning rituals. Those are fascinating to me. Everybody does it a little differently. Everybody does their routine a little bit differently. And I would like to know, just out of curiosity, like Larry King, what is your deal? I'm just curious. Like, what do you do? What's your thing? Like, boxers on first and then teeth and then, you know, what? What do you do? How does this work? I'm fascinated by.
by the process. Our phone number, 570-1053. Give us a call right now. We do open phones at the beginning and end of every show, so you can call in about whatever you want. My name's Mikey. I'm the host of the show. And I got a guitar yesterday. A friend of mine. Yeah, a friend of mine gave to me. Awesome! And I am taking it to another friend of mine on Wednesday. He's going to put new strings on it. and he wants to teach me this system that he said that he learned for learning chords really fast. And so I'm kind of excited about it because when I was in Dallas, I got a guitar, an electric guitar, and I didn't bother to get any lessons or have anybody try to teach me, but my motivation for it was because I wanted to be cool and popular, and I wanted to learn how to play the guitar so I could be like a rock star. But the motivation is different now. And it's like a very pure God-inspired motivation. And it's acoustic instead of electric. And they say that it's better to learn with the acoustic guitar. So we'll see. I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens. But it's a very pretty Fender acoustic guitar. Well, I play air bass. So if you need somebody to come over and show you how it's done. Join the band.
I can join the band. Yeah. You know, we can rock that joint. It's not a real instrument. Excuse me? Yeah, dude, maybe it'll be great. We'll get the band back together. You know what I mean? For a little I Remember You. That's right. That's the only song we know. That's right. Maybe we'll have Kelly Kibler in the background doing a little backup vocal, dude. Get a tambourine or something. Yeah, tambourine something. Girly. Yeah. Be great. Yeah. Maybe we'll get Big Fat Paul, we'll get in the big limousine, we'll go down and see Little Feet. Dude, we'll open up for Little Feet. Yeah, we'll open up for Little Feet, dude. We know what he has on his rider in the back room there in the green room. A bunch of stuff doesn't match like burritos and waffles. It doesn't make any sense, dude. Like everything's got to be eaten with chopsticks. Yeah, bro. Don't make no sense. What's up with that? The place is called Baja, California, but he's got a bunch of waffles on the menu. Stupid. Stupid. Eddie is our producer and sports guy. He is 35 years of age. He is an adult man. I'm going to have coffee today, guys. Just give it a heads up. I don't think I can handle it. That's dangerous when you do it. I don't care. I don't care. I feel like it. I love it. Maybe one of those things. Do it. When he's caffeinated, it's right near insane. So much fun. It's dangerous. It's right around the block from insane. Like if you're in the neighborhood of the human psyche,
When Eddie drinks coffee, he's in the neighborhood of insane. But if you're like me and you like to live life on the edge, then you want Eddie to drink the caffeine. And not only that, but you want to be around when he does it. He's unpredictable. Well, there'll probably be some sort of pratfall later on. It's fantastic. It's double over-the-top Eddie. Yes. Oh, yeah. Triple. And you never know what you're going to get. I'm thinking about it. Do it. Do it, you animal. I would say that it's probably an especially stressful time for Sky. Yes, sure. I am a victim of most of the pranks and jokes and teasing and singing and yelling and all the things that accompany cats. But you love it. We got to videotape it. What do you mean by love it, Eddie? And what did you mean just then when you gave her that really awful wink? What I meant by that, Mike, is that she will pretend. on the air, like, oh, I don't like it. Oh, is that the deal? And as soon as those microphones turn off, she'll be like, drink up, buddy, buddy. Okay. You're already getting here. You're my favorite person. Coffee boy. Okay. Never called you coffee boy. Probably not. Never once. Probably not. Every day. Weird. The lovely and talented Sky, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you. Thank you. How are you all doing this evening?
Pleasure to be here in San Diego. Thank you. She looks fantastic. Thank you. She's 30 years of age. Thank you. Very sturdy woman. That's right. That doesn't sound like a compliment. It does not sound like a compliment. Absolutely. I looked it up last night and it said it was. That's right. Yeah, yeah. Where'd you look it up? That's right. He sent them the link. I have a website about you. Where it says I'm sturdy. You can link to it from skyspeed.com. That's right. Well, right there on the top menu, it says sturdiness on Skye's website. So if you want to know about her sturdiness, click on that. Click on that right there. The whole section on volunteering. Is that right, Eddie? Yeah, she likes to volunteer, Mike. Is there something I don't know? Yeah. Something you don't know. Yeah, there is actually. What? What? What? What? I don't know. Well, there's a big event coming here to San Diego. And it's an event you would never expect Sky to be at. But if you really want to see Sky in person, just head over to the U.S. Open. What? What? And you'll see Sky there. What are you talking about? First of all, two questions. You can volunteer, too, if you want. Two questions. Oh, you're volunteering? That's right. First question is... I'm not playing in it. First question is... Yes, sir. Why? And then...
Second question. Second question is why did you not tell us this already? She acts like it's not a big deal. It's so not a big deal. How dare you? You would never be seen at the U.S. Open in any other fashion. So that makes it a big deal. It's out of the norm. You're selling soda. It's like having a lemonade stand. Shush. It's like, oh, did I tell you guys that I'm in a rock climbing club? Did I tell you? Oh, I didn't mention. What? What's the big deal? Everybody does it. You guys know I do volunteer work every now and then. I trade out for American Gladiators. What? What? That's weird. And Skye, I don't know. It's not like I'm playing in the U.S. Open. What volunteer thing? What did you do? Well, this time I will be volunteering with the Kiwanis Club of San Marcos. Even though I do not belong to the club nor live in San Marcos. Okay. But I will be volunteering.
volunteering my mom is a member and um they uh this is mike this is really gonna upset you But they are getting rid of the Kentucky Derby. What? Yeah, I know. No more Kentucky Derby guys. I'm really, I'm sorry. First of all, we want to accept that as a no. This is the apocalypse. I'm sorry to tell you. Due to the fact that it was difficult to put on. This issue is not over. This issue is not over. Okay. We're going to bench it. It was difficult to put on and the profits weren't that great. And they found out about a great opportunity at the U.S. Open where nonprofit organizations can volunteer. and then they get a cut of the profits from the concessions. And that money is greater than the money made from the Kentucky Derby. So what will you do? I will be selling concessions. Really? A portion of the profits going to charity. Selling churros, Mike. Is that right? I don't know what. I have my training session tomorrow.
I don't know what's going on. I will train tomorrow at the Rock Church in Point Loma. Is that right? To learn how to sell concessions. She's training. Are there outfits? She's training at the Rock Church. I don't know. I'll find out tomorrow. That makes it even more. I'll find out tomorrow. That's so strange. That's even more. I'll find out tomorrow at my training session. I love it. Haphazardly mentions this the other day, and I'm like, huh? Well, she said to me, what? A couple days ago, she goes, Mike, is there... Where would you recommend having lunch between here and the Rock Church? Which I thought immediately struck me as a strange question, but I just assumed, oh, she's giving me perspective because I know where that is. And so it's a point of reference. Never in a million years. No, that's where I'm going. Yes, I didn't think that. That is my destination. That's where she's going. Say what's up to Miles for us. Well, I don't think he's going to be involved in training. I think it's a Kiwanian thing. I see. So there it is. Will you ever join the Kiwanis club? I don't live in San Marcos. But when they need help, I got their back. And I attend their functions. You have to live in San Marcos to be in there? I deal at their poker games. What? What?
You deal at their poker games? Well, sometimes they, you know, have, like, progressive dinners and parties and they need... You're like Angelina Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Yeah. What is going on? This whole double life that we don't know about. She's dealing poker, going to the Rock Church. Like, what? Golfing in the U.S. Open. Yeah, exactly. I know, I'm not golfing. What? She's Tiger Woods' caddy. Yeah. Whatever. Wow. I hope you have an outfit. She's like, well, she's like, I have to leave by four because I have to meet with my synchronized swimming by seven. Oh, yeah. That sounds like a blast. Right? Shawnee, oh boy. Shawnee? He's our sound effects guy. There's seven people on the show. So far, I introduced myself, Eddie, Skye, and there's Sean. Hi, Shawnee. Sean is 38. Hi, Shawnee. Hey, Shawnee. Hey, Shawnee. I love you, Shawnee. Sean hates baby talk. It's something that he's always about. So anyway, Sean, he's 38 and he does sound effects and he's a tall man. He is married. No kids. No desire to have them. Doesn't want kids. That's true. His wife feels the same way. Sean had a 10 minute conversation with a 7-Eleven guy this morning about religion while cleaning the microwave.
friend of mine. That's right. The 7-Eleven guy. That is right. Whose name I do not know. He does not know his name. One of his good friends. Well, he loves him, he said. When I say that he was having a conversation with him about religion while cleaning the microwave, I don't mean while the 7-Eleven guy was cleaning the microwave. Yeah, clear it up. You see, Sean goes into the 7-Eleven every morning and because he's a germaphobe, he cleans the microwave. That's a true story. Look, the guy's nice enough. To let me do my thing? Yeah, yeah. I'm very appreciative of it. Sure, yeah. You love him for it. Yep. I kind of do, Eddie. I understand that. I want to kick that turban and wring it out into a cup. Okay, no, you don't. No, you don't. No, you don't. I didn't say I was going to do anything with it. I was going to pass it to Ashley. Tell me this. Do Sikhs, I'm probably wrong about this. I'm not on a limb. Is it Sikhs that don't cut their hair?
He does not cut his hair. Okay. And I asked him about that, actually. He says he doesn't cut his hair. But it's because he's in the Motley Crue. Well, what religion is he? He's a Sikh. I don't know what that is. I've never heard that until two seconds ago. Sikh religion? Like seek and destroy? It's like S-E-I-K-H or something like that. It's like a... Like Hindu? Yeah, it's an offshoot of Hinduism. So he doesn't cut his hair? No. Does that bother you? Because you're a germaphobe. Well, he keeps it up in a turban, so it's relatively sanitary. Rob never did that. He let that stuff flow. Should not have done that. He let his love flow. Like a filthy stink, he let his love flow. Right into Shawnee's sink. No, no, no. Well, let's see. Ashley is our assistant producer. She's wearing a pink t-shirt today. You should read it, Mike. What does it say? It's got a picture of a pig on it. Yep. What does it say? Does it say something that we can say on the radio? It says, please hug me, don't eat me. It's a little pig on a pink t-shirt. Oh, my God. I've had it for like six years. Whatever. Yesterday. Looks delicious. Thank you. Yesterday, Ashley, on accident, on accident.
Oh, don't bring it up, Mike. Ashley rubbed her underarm sweat on Eddie's knee. Oh, yeah. I didn't even mean to. Back in the office. I really didn't even mean to. That was the most disgusting thing. They were really bad yesterday. She went to throw something in a garbage can. Yeah. Missed. And it was my garbage can. I've tripped right onto his leg. And so she went to go grab it and like her whole armpit rubbed on my knee. And it was the foulest thing. Because I had to catch my fall. Because I tripped. That is so awful. I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding. Eddie, literally, he jumped in that seat like a snake had bit him. I kind of fell on his knee breaking out. And he says to Rob, who's sitting. In the chair next to Eddie. Oh, yeah. In our office. He says to Rob, hand me that Aquafina bottle. Because Eddie had a paper towel and he needed water. And Rob is looking at me, so Rob's back is to Eddie, so I can see Rob's expression, and Rob gets this expression, like, smile, like, I'm an immigrant. And Eddie throws something at the back of his head and goes, hand me that Aquafina bottle. Hand me that Aquafina bottle!
And for the record, Rob's desk is a disaster area. So he has probably like eight different beverages on his desk. Plastic bottles. And starts to hand Eddie every beverage except for the water. Like an old bottle of iced tea. It is kind of funny. Oh, really, Sean? We can make that happen for you. Just a little. So finally, Eddie grabs. He grabs Rob's hair by the scruff and pulls his head back and reaches over him and grabs the Aquafina bottle, dumps the water. It doesn't even care. Eddie doesn't even care. He dumps the water bottle onto his knee and he starts scrubbing his knee to get Ashley's sweat off. Well, I mean, immediately started to get a rash. An ash rash? Was it an ash rash? It was an ash rash. I mean, I ask you good people, what would you have done? Ash rash. Got an ass rash. I mean, it was skin on skin. It was gross. And then this grown-ass man could barely finish the meeting. He was so traumatized by the sweat. He couldn't concentrate. Like, we're trying to be professional, continue on with our professional meeting that we have every Monday. And you're like, I can't do it. I'm coming in sweat. Okay, and then, so check this out. Support you, Eddie. So let's pull the curtain back. For about a month, Ashley has been trying.
No. I'm not kidding. We meet on Mondays. What? On Mondays, we get together. Please. And we do a meeting. Don't. On Monday. Don't you do it. And he, she tries so hard. Don't ruin it. I've said no. See, she doesn't ruin it. She doesn't want you to talk about it because she still thinks it's going to make it on the air. She knows I can't do it. And you're going to ruin it right now. I'm going to make it work. Don't ruin it. See? Can I talk to you, Skye? She's upset right now. Let's me and you talk. Come on. Let's talk. How do we? Come on. What do I do? I don't know how to do it. Okay, maybe tell the story, but don't give away the name of the song. Don't tell the song and don't tell the theme. It's never going to be on the radio. It's not going to happen. It's never going to happen. I'm going to put it on my MySpace page. So what about that? So don't give it away. It's my idea. And you can't do that. She's had this idea. She's had this idea and she's presented the idea. Yes. Four weeks running. Yeah, I believe so. Now, you got to understand. Each time she suggests it, she's dead serious. Yeah. She's not joking. And every time Eddie says a bad word, he says, are you blanking kidding me? Well, it takes 20 minutes of our meeting every week. And I'm like, don't, please don't do this again. Don't. Please, like, stop. And I'm exasperated. And then Sky.
Looks supportive, which we hate. Oh, she doesn't believe in the idea. She doesn't believe. And finally, I said to Sky, I go, that's your girl. And Sky's unfazed by it, which bothers me. And I go, Sky, I go, Sky, come do something. And so Sky very patiently says, well, you know, Ash, you know, not very many people. will necessarily get that humor. Okay. They don't know the song. Whatever. Because every time I turn on the radio, it's playing. But whatever. Really? On Rock 105.3? I don't listen to that station. So I said, you know, because she listens to the hip-hop stuff. No, she's not awake yet. She is. Hopefully. Ash listens to the hip-hop stuff. Like, I know. I like my jams, you know? And so... Oh, man. What's the song? No. Don't. It's a masterpiece and it's in the works. Dude, let me tell you. It's a popular song, but I don't know it. I know the name of it. And there's definitely people in our audience that are like, dude, that's a popular song. It's a hip-hop popular song. It's everywhere right now. There's so many people that don't know this song. Number one song practically in the world. Never heard of it. Never heard of it. Eddie's like, never heard of it. Never heard of it. Whatever. You know. And I am cool. Whatever to you. Man.
So what was the name of that one? Shut up. We're not. It's a masterpiece in the works. Can we say the artist? No, bro. Dude. Ash, what? It's my idea. And if you don't like it, then don't use it. Let's walk through this. Let's do like a therapy session. Let's do a therapy session and we'll walk through it. Okay? And we'll figure it out together. Can we do that? Yeah. Okay. Now I'm just going to ask you a couple of questions. If we were to say what the song is, what do you think will happen? I think that it would ruin the crescendo of the surprise when I play that song. Isn't she being serious, Mike? Now, I'm going to ask questions. And I'm going to answer. Okay. Now, you just said that what your fear is, is that if you...
Say what the song is. It'll ruin the, as you put it, the crescendo of when you play the song. Of the debut. Of the debut. Okay. My question to you. It's like you'd be bootlegging me. Absolutely. What the hell is she talking about? Absolutely. Eddie, just. Absolutely. Just listen. You got this. You know what I'm reading between the lines. You know what's happening. I don't understand what's going on. So, Ash, my question to you is when you debut the song. Where? Someplace fun. I see. I see. I'm going to find a place. I'm going to find a place. It's going to be fun. Like another radio station? Yes. Go ahead. Is that what you mean? Do you mean? No, I do not mean. I don't know how I do that. Give her permission. Do you mean? Against my contract. Put it on Tony and Chris's show or something. They need it. They're like, we don't know this song. All right. Trust us, bro. It was good.
No. No, no. No, I'm not going to waste it. You're not going to waste it on another morning show? I'm not going to be crazy. So where would you, what medium would you introduce it to? It'd be someplace fun and easily accessible, such as perhaps my MySpace page. Perfect. Now, you're thinking that if I tell people... Or my blog. I see. Now you're thinking... What? What happened, Eddie? Eddie's shaking his finger. No, no. Her blog's on MikeyShow.com. What happened? So my question is, you know, if we say this now, we tell everybody what this idea was, you feel that by putting it on MySpace, it'll sort of ruin the crescendo. Of the surprise. Of the surprise. Of the debut. So, like, if they heard it now, it would really take away from when they actually go to your MySpace page, listen to it and go and do this. Like, this would be the physical reaction. It would be like... And that'll be ruined, right? That could be potentially ruined. Yeah, because you guys are going to get... It's a great crescendo, by the way. Where it would be like this. It'd be like this instead. They'd be like, oh, man, I wish I had never known. We know what's coming. We know what's coming. Gotcha. And then you guys are... You know how sometimes movies will be over-talked up, and so then I go in, and I'm not as surprised and happy? Well, you guys will under-talk the song, thus making it a letdown.
Before people even give it a chance. Well said. And that's not fair to me either because it's a great idea. No, under talk. Under talk. And I don't want you guys to put it in the P1's head that it sucks because then they're going to not have opinions of their own perhaps. Well, out of respect for you, I will not under talk. I'm going to say it. No, you can't. I'll cry. You know she will, dude. I will cry. It's too early. Cheers equal ratings. She's pregnant. Oh, that's right. I'll cry. You know that she will. Mike, we need to do something about this. I can't handle it. We can move on. Already? I'm in a lot of pain, and I don't need this. I'm in a lot of pain, and I don't need this. She threw her neck out in the shower. I can't even barely move. Eddie's gonna lose it, man. So I don't need this, too. I can barely move. These are the two women in your life. I don't want it. Oh, yeah. I don't want it. I divorced them. You got it, Toyota. You can't divorce them. We're here forever, man. These are ladies. Anyway. Boston Rob. Wait. What? The song. Shut up. What is it? Artist. There's two things. I'll cry. Eddie. Please. My neck is thrown out and I can't make it worse. Two things I'm bad. Sean, you're in.
You doing it. You're a bad man. And it making fantastic radio. Because she will cry like a strange person. It will make my neck worse. Which will be compelling. And funny. I might have to go home. Okay. And then there's the other side of me that's like, okay, I recognize that her need is crazy. Please. But, you know, it's her need. Can I give him a hint? Let me give him a hint. No hint. You're going to give him a hint. No hint. She's doing this all, by the way, while holding her neck that she pulled out in the shower. How do you pull your neck out in the shower, Mike? She's a wreck, Eddie, that's how. She's a wreck. Well, her pregnant belly got in the way. Boston Rob is our... Oh, man! Boston Rob is our phone screener. Sorry, P1s, I tried. And he's 25, he's engaged. He also is a singer-songwriter.
And the more stable of the two. No. Like, whoever would have thought that. And that is true. I'll accept that. That is true. I love myself. That's right. I'm okay with that. And finally, at 23 years old, Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates, the third junior Esquire. Thank you. Mikey Show. Do you want paparazzi? Hi, paparazzi. Oh, there he is. Betty just threw his hands off. What else will happen? What else will happen today? What else will happen? I mean, is this a joke? Where's Alan Funt? He had a camera? What's going on, paparazzi? This morning I was reading up. People are looking at a signature analyst to take a look at Obama and Hillary and different people's signatures to kind of get an idea of what kind of person they are. What have they found out? They found out that McCain had a very strong personality that he felt very highly of himself. They felt that Hillary was, the way she wrote, was very intelligent. There was a lot of different things, and so I thought...
It'd be interesting if the Mikey show could bring on an expert that's never heard the show before and haven't analyzed all your signatures. Dude, I would love it. The meeting is on Mondays. We do the meeting on Mondays. Ah, yes. That's a great idea, though. That is a good one. You know, we've gone to that morning show boot camp, and there's been one of those ladies wandering around boot camp trying to get on morning shows. If we have one here in San Diego, would love it. would love to have a handwriting analyst come in and analyze our handwriting. I think that'd be great. That'd be great. Eddie, what's the matter? Go ahead. What, Brad? Please tell us the name of the song. I can't tell you the name of the song. I can't tell you the name of the song. Because Ashley said she'll cry. Our phone number here is 35253. Our text number, actually. What? This is a nice song. What is this? I have no idea. It is Love in This Club. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is what? Our phone number is 5701053. You're good, Mike. Keep going, bro. You are sounding good. Hit the post and we're out. What's the stand-up spotlight? I think it's Usher. What's the stand-up spotlight? Mike, push through this. Push through it. Hit the post.
Keep going. Why is this like this? I don't know. No, because why would we have this song if no one's heard of it and why we played our show if no one's heard of it? So let's move on. Let me tell you something. Rob knows which button I press to go into the thing every day when I go the first one. He put the song up there. I'm just saying. You're dead. You are dead. Why do they want to prohibit a little bag of plastic monkeys? What is the danger? We don't want these monkeys in the Northwest. We want to void them in that area. Send away for it anyway. Used to have nightmares of police who were going to come over my house. You order these little monkeys, son? Do you realize you're living in a prohibited zone here?
These monkeys are void in this area. Used to be the box tops. Y'all remember sending in box tops. And then at one point, they switched to the proof of purchase seal. They didn't trust us with the box top. Apparently, they felt they needed more proof. What happened, you think? That we're getting some forgeries down there at Battle Creek? I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Mikey Show, hello. Hi. Hi. I was calling about sleep train. Go ahead. What are you saying? What are you calling to say? Dude, sleep train. I went in there with my fiance about three weeks ago. We're not getting married for like five and a half weeks. I mean, sorry, five and a half months. And they're holding it for us for five and a half months before we get married. That's rad. Yeah, so... And I haven't heard anybody talk about that. That's pretty awesome. Yeah, it was way awesome. And on top of that, we got like, I think it was like a thousand bucks off the deal because we found one on the internet. It was like pretty crazy. That's awesome, dude. Just going to a sleep train center. Anybody should go into a sleep train center if they're looking to buy a new bed. That's fantastic. Thank you for the call. Yeah, no problem. Bye. It's the Mikey Show.
Featuring Mikey. I am insecure about being short and fat and Mexican and bald. Eddie. I am not a doctor, but I will speak on this. Sky. You know I speak my mind. We all speak our mind on this stupid show. Sean. You have a lawn to edge somewhere. Oh, man. Boston Rob. That's crazy. That's crazy. We're giving away a cheap angle. And Ashley. I'll go through a roll of toilet paper in a day. The Mikey Show's on. That's true. Rock 105.3. It's a Mikey Show at 6.43. The New York college student who accused Lindsay Lohan of stealing her mink coat has now filed a lawsuit. Red Sox pitcher John Lester beats cancer and then tosses his first no-hitter of the season cut six. That is not easy to do, right? No. That is not easy to do. I mean, I've done it twice in my career, but I'm telling you, I'm good. Twice, that's not that much. But you're good. Yeah, I'm good. Rob, that must have made you very happy. Yeah, I didn't get to watch the game. Oh! I heard about it. This text says, Hey, Mikey Show, I was going crazy not knowing the song. Good job, Rob. That was the best. That signed P1 Alien. Was that it? I believe, yeah, that was it. Usher in the club. Now, I don't know.
I don't know any of this. Well, she's been trying to get us to do something with that song, you know. And I say, listen, great song and everything. It's just that, you know, the whole, most people, I don't know, are really listening to that station that plays that stuff. Not really our format. Every station's been playing it. Yeah, every station's been playing it. And the country station and us, we play it. We just didn't realize that he played it. Yeah. Okay. Number one song on iTunes. Sky, technically that means we're playing it. Number one song on iTunes? That's right. Anybody? That was the best one ever, Rob. Thank you. That's P1 Russian. Wow, Rob, you're dead. You are dead, Rob. You really are. Hey, Mikey, what was that song that you played going into the first break? Never heard of it. It's Dynamite. That's P1 Tommy. It was Usher, and the song is In the Club. Love it. in the club. See, he doesn't even know that name of it. Well, that's not, that's rude. You know, I mean, she's got a point with the whole, you know, the hip-hop stuff, especially. But I do, I do. I don't know this song. Never heard of it. Mikey Show, hello. It's Mikey. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, brother. Wow. Well, maybe you can put him on hold and he can talk to me. You want me to put you on hold? Sir?
Oh, man, he's so upset. He's just like, forget this. Couldn't even go on. I called to talk to Rob and this dude picks up. Forget it. There was a hotel that's being built. Well, I guess there's technically still is a hotel being built downtown and it's under construction and a gas main broke and it blew up. Yeah. What happened? Well, about 2 o'clock yesterday, there was a huge explosion at the Hilton Hotel, which is under construction right near 8th Street near Petco Park. And it blew out windows and walls, and 14 people were injured. Three of those are in critical condition. And it turned out, you know, in the beginning, nobody knew what was going on. You know, all the authorities were called in. They don't know, was it a terrorist attack? Was it a construction accident? Nobody knew. It was making national news, the front of CNN. Well, it turns out that it was a natural gas leak. Natural gas? And something ignited it and, you know, caused the explosion. But they say, you know, the explosion was heard and felt all the way down to IB, Coronado.
So, yeah, it was really crazy. Here's Mayor Sanders talking about it. Cut 50. I want all the families of the construction workers to know that our thoughts and feelings are with them, and we hope they all have a safe and speedy recovery. Wow. Let's see. This is Adrian Gonzalez of the Padres. He was there for the aftermath. Cut 50. For real? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Cut 52. Hanging out in my living room there, watching some TV, and we had the window open so the balcony could get some air, and we heard the explosion, and we were kind of bad to see my wife. I was kind of like, what was that? So we turn around, we look around, you know, we got a little bit of a downtown view, and we saw that the Hilton, or that area, there was a bunch of smoke, and then the building was damaged a little. Oh, that must have tripped people out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Can you imagine? Speaking of the Padres, nothing new. St. Louis, eight points. San Diego Padres, two points. Runs. That's a loss. So you can count that as a loss. Cards hit four home runs. How? Wait. Oh. Okay. I don't understand. I just have a question. What is your question? I don't know any of this. Okay. They tell us. Yeah.
You know, we're not going to hit a lot of home runs in this park because it's too big and it's a pitcher's park. And, you know, our team, that's why we don't hit the home run. Knew that going in. Yeah. Knew that. But they told us. But how come when other teams come in here, they don't have a problem hitting the home run? I'll tell you why. Please. Altitude. Wait. Huh? Isn't it? No. That's like Colorado. I thought they were hitting them out because the altitude's so high here in San Diego. That wouldn't even explain that they're just able to knock them out. We don't hit the home runs. Maybe it's because the weather's so nice here. That could be it, dude. But why don't we hit the home runs? Maybe we're immune to it. We're desensitized. What if the Padres got desensitized to the beautiful weather? That doesn't make any sense. No, dude, check it out. That's a great point. The St. Louis Cardinals, the weather's not that great there, and they're always like, sad. And then they come to San Diego, and they're like, we're glad. We're happy. It's all that vitamin D. The vitamin D from the sun. It gives them more energy and strength. I'm going to hit that. I didn't. Oh, that's an interesting fact, Eddie. Yeah, what about that then? Well, we'll have to get back to you. Thanks. I'll be here. Okay.
Jake Peavy won't. He's headed to the DL for 15 days. That's two weeks and a day for those of you that are like, what does that mean, Mike? It's a 15-day disabled list. He's got that elbow pain discomfort. But do they know what it is? It's just probably wear and tear. It's nothing structural. I don't want to pitch anymore. It's called I Don't Want to Pinch Anymore-itis. Yeah, I have that sometimes. Yeah. Let's see. There was NBA games being played. What? You were watching? Dude, I actually, we ate at Bruno's last night, and they had a big screen in there. And they were showing the, listen, I don't watch basketball. And all of a sudden, I saw the dancers. I'm not kidding you. I don't go to strip clubs anymore, but I'm telling you that I've seen that outfit before. Dude, this. barely covered her butt cheeks. Whoa. I mean, there was like butt cheeks one tiny centimeter. That's what they wear. Are you for real? Like, seriously, Sky, I thought that dancers wore spandex. I thought that the dancers wore spandex. Well, everyone has a different uniform, but there are some that, you know, the skirt comes maybe like an inch below the butt cheek flap. That explains it. I heard that.
San Antonio changed the name of the team to the San Antonio strippers, and I didn't know if that was true. Well, there's the explanation. That's the explanation. I do not want giant stripper breasts. The answer is not strippers. I tripped out, though, dude. Those skirts. What do they have underneath it, Sky? Nothing. Yeah, there are no panties. That'd be rad. Sky, there was no pants on. No, they're called kick pants, but basically what they look like is like underwear or bikini bottoms. For real? Yeah, but they're called kick pants. I tripped out. Actually, I laughed. Like, I went, no, come on. Is that for real? So, yeah, I saw a second of it. Who won the game? Well, the San Antonio sluts. Oh, wow. Wow. Is that... They are dancers. It's the San Antonio dancers, Eddie. It's the San Antonio dancers. You're a real hooker. It was game seven, and they beat New Orleans.
They had a basketball team? They were formerly Oklahoma City. When did they get a basketball team? I didn't even know that. Yeah, that's weird. See, originally, they played in Charlotte. Yeah, that's all I knew. And then they moved to New Orleans. And then Hurricane Katrina happened. They do the Mardi Gras. And so they had to play in Oklahoma City. And then this season, they went back to New Orleans. Oh, yeah, walks into a pole. So they beat New Orleans in Game 7. And now get to play at the Lakers. What? Well, there's that. Good game. It was a good game. Eddie. You're into it? You watched it, Ash? Did you watch it with your man? No, I watched it by myself. He was watching it at his house. What? Mondays is our loaned night. Wait, wait. That's crazy. Wait, wait. What is this? Wait. Put him on the break. You guys have an alone night? Yeah, like, Monday's our night that, like, he'll stay home, and he lives with his brother, and, like, they're super close, and so it's kind of his night to, like, kick it with his brother, and then, like, I'll just hang out and go to bed really early, kick my week off nice and refreshed. I've always heard that it's good to have your private time. I'm in so much pain. I can't move it.
And I forget that it's pulled. Ashley, how did you pull your neck out in the shower? What happened? I don't even know. I was like lathering and rinsing, you know, like I had my loofah. Yeah, your loofah. You know, lathering and I'm doing the lather and all of a sudden something popped in the right side of my neck. And now I can't turn. I can't do that. And I can do it that way. Like, I can turn my head to the left and it still hurts. You have no idea, though, what you were doing at the time that it did this? A handstand, Mike. Yeah, doesn't everybody? Heart wheels. I think I was... In the shower. I think I was scrubbing my left armpit. Oh, that takes a while. Something popped. Oh, wow. And my neck is sensitive. So, I mean, I know my neck is sensitive. So, I think something happened. My neck is sensitive? Yeah, dude. For real. What'd you do? What do you mean? I've blogged about, have you read, do you read my blog? I've blogged about the neck before. I think anyways. She's got a really sensitive neck, dude. I think she was in a fender bender. I don't believe it. A fender bender. Ooh, fender bender. Well, if anybody's listening right now and they know how to fix her neck. Well, we know a chiropractor. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Maybe Dr. Wayne's listening. You can come by. I would love.
He'd love to work on us. I'd love for Dr. Wayne to come by. Yeah, do some therapy on you. He'd be great. He's also a masseuse. I'm sorry. Huh? A massage artist. Yes. Therapist. Correct. I keep forgetting it. Did I mention that Tito Ortiz from the UFC is on the show today? Oh, Tito. Anthony Tito Corleone. We also have audio of Barack Obama telling people to lay off his wife. Mikey, you guys are the highlight of my morning while driving to work each day. Thanks. That's Semper Fi. P1 Semper Fi. Mikey, you guys are awesome. Love your show. Keep doing what you're doing. Random debate idea for now or later. Mikey, me and my dad are arguing on who would win in a fight. A UFC fighter or a boxing champ? P1 Liddell. That's a ridiculous argument. UFC, right? In so quick a fashion, it wouldn't even be funny. Wow. Sky, they can do everything. They can get him to the ground. What's the boxer going to do on the ground? Punch. It won't matter. It'll be over in two seconds. Yeah. And the boxers, you know, they do that patient thing. You know, where they're patient. And a UFC guy would just come in like an animal. Yeah. He'd be on the ground. It would be ridiculous. I don't know why. I agree. Why are they debating that one? That's bad. That debate may be over. It doesn't matter who it is. Once that fight got to the ground, good night. Good night.
Go to sleep. Sweet prince. Go to sleep, little boxer. You are weepy. You are sleepy. Go to night, my little boxer. May Floyd Metweather. Oh, please. What did she say? Faye Moidweather. Ashley said, Faye Moist Bladeweather. I said May Fairweather. May Fairweather. May Fairweather. It's very close to the actual answer. Famous actress. That's right. Floyd Mayweather. Yeah, she was in King Kong, right? Floyd. That's true. May Faye Weather. Yeah, very famous. Excuse me, Floyd. Of the silent screen. Yes, of the silent screen. Something. That's right. Best friends with Greta Garbo. Yes. May Faye Mayweather. Floyd. Faye Mayweather. What? Cobbler Weather. Floyd Mayweather. Yep. That's the real name. Who just IM'd you? That's the real name. No, I remembered. You told me after. Who IM'd you, though? Nobody IM'd you. Okay, we were just wondering who IM'd you. Okay. I already closed it out. We don't have to fight about it. Why do you think people, like, listen and IM'd me? I don't think anybody listens and IM's you. All I was referring to was the person that IM's you when you cheat. That's all I was talking about.
Wait, you guys. It's on the table. It's on the table. Wait. It shouldn't be. I just took it off. I mean, if you want me to, I will, because that would make me win, and I'm all for that. You think I mean something that I don't. But you said. No, no, no, no, no, no. I didn't mean what she thought. I meant the person that I am, sir, with the answers. Can you stop? You're making my neck worse. Stop. That's not enough. P1 Ben. How's it going? Good. I wanted to comment on that last comment about the UFC versus the boxer. What about Mike Tyson and his heyday? What about him? What's he going to do? Forget it. What's he going to do when he gets to the ground? What if they don't even get a chance? Trust me, it'll get him to the ground. Wouldn't happen. Eddie. My style is impetuous. My defense is impregnable. And I'm just ferocious. I want your heart. I want to eat his children. Okay. Okay. Tyson would win. Tyson would win. Tyson would win. Tyson would eat him. It doesn't count. It's like a rabbit animal. Tyson would eat him. That's not fair to bring that one into it. Yeah, you can't bring it. You didn't say an MMA fighter versus a rabbit animal. Yeah, I mean.
You could basically take Mike Tyson and put him against a bear or a tiger. That would be a good fight. That would be a good fight. And Tyson would win. Yeah. Tyson would win. He would eat his children. He'd eat his children. He'd eat the tiger, bro. He'd have the tail of the tiger sticking out of his... I'd eat the cubs. Oh, my goodness. I'm choking on a tiger. My style is impetuous. My defense is impregnable. Impregnable. I want your heart. I want to eat his children. Whoa. That's impregnable? What is it? What? I forgot what he said was impregnable. My style is impetuous. My defense is impregnable. His defense is impregnable. You cannot get his defense pregnant. When he puts his hands in front of his face, he can't get his hands pregnant. His hands are going to pull your heart out. It's impossible. P1 The Doctor is on the line. Good morning. Yeah, me and my friends were actually talking about this on Monday night about the whole boxing thing and UFC thing. Yeah. They were talking about having Mike Tyson fight Kimbo Slice. Forget it. Oh, please. Dude. Is it MMA rules? I am not sure about it. My friend was just telling me about it. If it's a boxing match. They were actually just planning on having those two fights since Mike Tyson has the fastest knockout and Kimbo Slice is just a beast.
Put it this way, Eddie. Let me ask you the question like this. Let's ask the question like this. You have a Coliseum in Greece, in Athens. And on each side of the Coliseum, you have these men. And the point is, eliminate your competitor. Okay. There are no rules. Just bare knuckle. Eliminate your competitor. Okay. Who wins in a fight between Mike Tyson and Kimbo Slice? Okay. Let me put it to you guys this way. Okay. Kimbo Slice, 6'4". 260 pounds. Mike Tyson, 5'10", 215 pounds. I mean, have you seen him lately? It's more like... No, we're talking about Prime. We're talking about Prime. And we're talking about in their heydays. Yeah. All that stuff. It wouldn't even be... I don't think it would even be close. I think Kimbo Slice would destroy him. Mm-hmm. Really? Yeah, yeah. I mean, in a pure boxing match, Mike Tyson wins. In a bare-knuckle brawl, try to survive.
Kimbo Slice will kill anybody. As much of a Mike Tyson fan as he is, would your brother-in-law Tim still say Kimbo would do it? Or do you think he would... It doesn't matter who it is. You'd say a 900-pound, 18-foot Anaconda or Mike Tyson. He'd be like Mike Tyson. He'd probably say Mike Tyson. You'd say a fierce Great White or Mike Tyson. He'd be like, well, probably Tyson. Former brother-in-law Tim almost fought a room full of people the night that... I was there and it was one of the scariest things I remember. Awful night. Awful night. The Evander Holyfield fight. Didn't like it. When he bit the ear off of Evander Holyfield. There was a room full of people. I mean, I'm talking like 25 people all watching this fight. Drunk. And Tim, everybody's drinking. Tim is the biggest Mike Tyson fan I've ever met. Oh, I didn't know that. He freaks about him. Okay. And the room full of people basically pointed and laughed like, oh, my God, that guy's crazy. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Right. And Tim wanted to fight the room. Yeah. Women included. I'm not joking. Tim is crazy. He was crazy. Out of his mind. And it was scary. Like, I had to do the thing where I talk him down. Well, the people were laughing and including women in the room. And he was like, shut the hell up.
Kill all you fools. Bring it on. I need to get nothing wrong about it. I mean, you're nuts. It's fascinating. And dude, as all this is going on, you know, the TV's cranked. And so the commentators are going, I've never seen anything. So this is ridiculous. He should be thrown out. I've never seen anything. And Lampley's going, talk about sinking to the point of just absolute desperation. And this is driving Tim insane. It was crazy. I've never seen something more sad or pathetic. And you're like, oh, Lampley, shut up. Tim's upset. He's getting so upset. Before we went to break, I told you that when we came back, I wanted to give you information on the city that is going to have an emergency ordinance to declare no booze at their beaches. It is a North County city. And it will be in effect from now until the end of the summer. Is that right, Sky? Wow. Who is it? It's Del Mar. Whoa. Really? They voted unanimously last night. The ban will go in effect midnight on Thursday all the way through Labor Day weekend. And they say the reason is because they say the past couple weekends.
They say they've seen a huge increase in out-of-control alcohol consumption at the Del Mar City beaches. And they believe the reason why is because Del Mar is one of the few beaches left where you can actually legally drink. And so for the whole summer, no more. Wow. That is going to upset a lot of people, I'm sure. That's what they get. Oh, wow. Wow. Didn't you just say that drinking was being out of control over there? Yeah. But not everybody is an out-of-control drinker. Well, but you have to, like, I don't know. I personally think that those people who are going and ruining it for everyone should put themselves in check and, like, they're ruining it for everybody. Oh, well. Hello? Hi, it's Barbara. Hey, Babs. Hello, it's Barbara calling in. I'm a little surprised to hear from you right now. What are you doing, Barb? I was just wondering if Ashley's out of her mind or what's going on. I'm fine. I think that's clear, but go ahead. What do you mean? I mean, does this silly broad realize that she was that person that they were banning the beaches about? You don't know that. She's changed, though. We have to give her that. I mean, that boat sailed a long time ago, Skye. It sailed right out on that flood that she put in her apartment. Hey, hey. How do you even know about that? By the way, this is Barbara.
I am a part-time Hillary supporter, full-time black woman. I used to be on your side, Babs. Well, yeah. Well, you should step off because you are tripping if you're going to come at me with that kind of talk, sweetheart. Hey, first of all, I know you've got your 40s of King Cobra still laying around that place. I don't even know what that is. But what are you, because speaking of, are you, because you're slurring. Oh, in your face. Maybe you should check into rehab. Bye, Babs. Am I sorry? In your face. No, you're fine. Thanks for calling. Am I sorry? Oh, no. Talk to me later. You shouldn't slow it down. It makes it doesn't. Oh, is this happening to Claire? Yeah, I guess it is. You a big Usher fan? I am a huge Usher fan. I got second row seats when they play at the San Diego Civil Theater. Civic Theater. Oh, you are so gone. I'm so upset about this ban. But pills are still allowed. Oh, they are? Oh, my goodness.

Are we, like, in fifth grade right now? Seriously. The San Diego's Rock. Back to the Mikey Show. Featuring Mikey. I try not to do dangerous things. Eddie. You guys know me. I'm the most practical person. Sky. Well, I enjoy spicy food. Sean. I'm always one who tries to save. I always want to save. Boston Rob. I thought I was being as gay as I could get. Okay, get a little gayer. And Ashley. That's me. Don't take the retarded Juliette Lewis. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. It's 723. With the new California ruling on gay marriage, George Takai says he plans to marry his longtime partner. Charles Barkley says he is not going to gamble anymore after owing Wynn Casino $400,000. Oh, my. Has he said that before? Well, he's had crazy gambling.
debts and wins before, but he says he's finally done. Him and Michael Jordan both like to bet, right? Yeah. But Barkley goes to Vegas all the time, and he'll win a million dollars in a weekend, but then we'll lose like five. So he's just crazy. How do you guys like my wedding gown? Why are you wearing that, George? I'm just trying to get used to it. I'm going to be getting married next month. Oh, really? I read that you are excited and you want to marry your longtime partner, but I didn't think you'd wear a dress. I thought you'd wear a suit. If you don't mind, you could say fiancé. Oh, you could marry your fiancé, but I envisioned you both wearing suits. Well, uh...
You can envision all you want. It's not your day, Skye. It's not your day. I get to decide what I'd like, and I would like it. Now, I was going to ask you if you wouldn't mind being in the ceremony. Oh, I'd love to. It would be an honor, George. What do you need me to do? I want you to be the ring bearer. The ring bearer? That's right. You'll carry a little pillow with the ring on it. And what would you like me to wear? Well, I'll have to think about it, put it in an email to you, and describe what I'd like. But for now, I just want you to consider doing it. Oh, well, yeah, I'd be honored. What about all your other Star Trek castmates, George? I mean, are they going to be invited? Oh, no. What happened? Why? Oh, well, I hate all of them. No, you guys. George Takai, I dare you say that. Except for William Shatner. Oh, you do? You still keep in contact with him? Yes, he's my Coke dealer. Okay! George, don't say stuff like that. Very bad. You can't say that. I can't say that. Actually, instead...
Instead, when we go out there, I don't want anybody throwing rice when we come out of the ceremony. Well, it's safer, I'm sure. That's right. Instead, I'm asking people to just throw Scotty's ashes. No way. That is really weird. That's disrespectful. And I believe they're already in space. Yeah, I heard that. Zetha, would you like to be one of my bridesmaids? Do it, Zet. Do it. He's in. You guys ever seen it? A wedding dress with a rainbow thong like this. Oh, dude. You don't want to see that. You don't want to see it. Please put that away. Hello. Burning my eyes. No, thank you. Burning my eyes. I see London. I see France. Okay. George. You see George's head to bed. Yeah, we did. That was gross. Mikey, I got a big time issue with my wife. We got a dog recently and I found out. That when I'm at work, she's letting the dog sleep on the bed. I told her that I was not having it and she got real upset. She said she loves the dog and wants her to be able to go wherever she wants. She says that the dog is a member of the family now. I don't want my new family member's hair.
To be all over my clothes. Come on. I don't know how to explain it any other way to her. Got any ideas? That's P1 Luke. Tell her you don't want the dog sleeping on the bed. He did. Okay. Well, she has his bed too. Yeah. Keep the dog on her side. Oh, no. Oh, no. Like, I drew the line with the cats. You know, the cats used to sleep on the bed. Right. Now, Skye, and I want to get your take on this. How would you have been with this? My husband's done the same thing. Where he said no? He slept on the bed? She doesn't allow that anymore. What was his reasoning for not wanting them to sleep on the bed?
Well, two reasons. One, because Tango likes to sleep really close to my face and he believes he'll scratch my face off. Yes. Which, you know. He has. Yeah, it's happened. And the other one is because Logan loves to sleep in between legs. In the nude. Logan sleeps in the nude and it just creeps him out. Which is very good. Logan likes to sleep in between your legs, so you always end up sleeping like a pretzel. Right. Because he's like. To accommodate the cat. And then you wake up and your back's hurting. This is horrible. Yeah. Okay, so did you say, okay, fine? No, that's a no. That is a no. Well, I just kind of looked at him and smiled. What do you mean? And acted like he didn't speak. That works well. It does. It sends a very clear message. It's a really good one. It's a good one. It's like a torpedo, the message. Because I'm not saying no, but I'm just going, oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I get the cats. I get the cats and physically remove them from the room and shut the door. Yeah. Not sleeping in there. And they don't scratch at the door and meow all night long? They did until I, you know, did something about it. Put the kibosh on it.
I don't think I want to know what you said. You put the kibosh on it. I don't want to know what the kibosh is. You take care of it. Yeah, you remember when that guy was lost out in the jungle and the jaguar came around and was going to attack him, but all he had with him was a can of hairspray and a lighter? No. Scares away big cats. Wow. That's what you do to scare away the big cats. No, no, you don't. And little ones? No, you don't. You don't do that. It works on all feline. Oh, that's good. No, listen, a dog in the bed, the hair gets all over the place. It's uncivilized. Uncivilized, whatever. Eddie, are you all right with a dog in the bed? I refrain from this topic. Uh-oh. This is interesting. He's in on it. He's in on the dog in the bed. Well, what if your lady's not, though? I refrain from the topic. Will you compromise? Will you compromise? Pass. Because I know you want to get a dog. Pass. Pass. And I know you want the dog inside. While you sleep. Eddie, will you compromise? Jump in anytime, Eddie. These are good topics. What's up? Wait a minute. You're in line with Skye. I'm just going to say that. Wow, Skye is shaking her head. Yes. That's my boy. That's my boy, boo. He is. My wife has stated that once we move into our new house. Yeah. Just smile and laugh. I'm going to get a dog. Yeah. I told her I'm going to get a dog. Yeah. She said, yeah, you can get a dog. It's going to be an outside dog. That's why you smile and laugh. I laugh. Yeah, yeah. I laugh. So I'm stuck in a piece. Scoff. My dog. Scoff.
It's my dog, and I love him, and I want him to be inside. That's that. That's the deal. As far as she knows, he'll be outside. Now, wait a second. What is wrong now? Wait a second. She's fine with it. That implies that she doesn't know the dog will be inside dog. Eddie just shook his head to me and smiled. I didn't. I didn't. I did it. I would never disobey her. Okay, wait a minute. Now, let me ask you. Okay, so let's say she gets through this hurdle of, well, she'll get over it. Okay, now, will you at least compromise when she says, okay, fine, but I don't want him to sleep on the bed? Listen, I don't like animals on the bed either because I like... My bed, I like my bed. I'm very comfortable. But sometimes you go with the little doggie up there and go, hey little doggie, what are you doing? You know what I mean? Now what if she doesn't want the doggie up there? What are you doing? When she's home or not home?
Oh, wow. See what's happening there? See, but that's what this email says, Eddie. See what's happening there, Mike? The email says we got a dog recently, and I found out that when I'm at work, she's letting the dog sleep on the bed. Well, and then, but the thing about that is if you're letting the dog sleep on the bed, you know, like during the daytime or whatever. then the dog's going to think it's okay and go up there all the time. Yeah. It's true. And I'm fine with that. So here's my question to Eddie and Skye. Eddie and Skye are on the same page with us. You guys are loving spouses. Yes. I know you believe in the concept of compromise. Absolutely. So how does this work with the compromise? Keeping it symbiotic. We will compromise things that are... We're cool with. I like it. Keep going, Eddie. Keep going on that thought. Asked and answered. We will not compromise things that we don't care for. There we go. Asked and answered. Now this dog is eating my toes. Oh, wow. P1NATO. What's going on? I have the perfect reason not to let your cat sleep in your bed. Okay. Because they can track litter and their own excrements into your bed. That's filthy. That's filthy. I think that's a great...
Great, great point. Yeah, we had some problems with Tango when he was a kitten. Oh, gross, Skye. Come on. Dragging little kitty turd up under the bed. No, he was a kitten, and he didn't get the lay of the land, and our comforter was gray, which is the same color as kitty litter. So he was using the comforter as kitty litter? Well, there were some accidents, Mike. There were some accidents. Yeah, there'd be one accident, and then guess what? You're evicted. He was a baby. He didn't know any better. Okay, guess what? Baby eviction. Eddie's got his hand raised. Eddie. I know Sean has pets. Yep, let's talk about it. Seanny, oh boy. That's what goes on over there. Yeah, where's the professor sleep? Well, normally we have another room where the cats normally sleep. There's like a kitty tower and there's this thing we call the purple ramp. Kitty town. Yeah, and normally that's where they sleep. Okay. Occasionally, I will wake up, and they will already be on the bed, and I politely move them to this, it's like a bench that's in front of our bed, and I'll put them down there. But I do not want them on the bed. But they do go there. Yeah. Well, I can't help it when I'm asleep. Is there anybody listening that has issues with one of you guys? Is there anybody listening right now that has issue?

There you go, man. And how long have you been doing what you do? I've been on the patrol seven years. And when you first went into it, you did the academy thing. That's correct. What could you tell people that would really get them excited about wanting to become a Border Patrol? What do you really love about your job? You know, this is one of those jobs, Mikey, that I actually look forward to going to work every day. That's pretty awesome. Yeah, not many people can say that. It's very rewarding. It's not the same thing day in and day out.
So, yeah, it's just one of those really exciting jobs that pays really well, and you have that government security job. So, you know, hey, what else can we say? That's pretty awesome. by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. We've got some tough freeways in our hands here this morning and a major overturn accident south on the Silver Strand coming out of Coronado down near the Coronado Cays. Traffic is completely blocked off here southbound. A traffic alert, in effect, advising you to avoid that and traffic is getting heavier. Northbound, though, coming up out of Imperial Beach, you're fine all the way to Coronado in that direction. Coming up out of the South Bay, a busier ride on the 5 and the 805 northbound bunching up on both these freeways out of Chula Vista up to National City. 805, big time, though, takes a hit. Coming up to National City in the North Park and then again over Mission Valley for a slow crawl up the hill in the Kearney Mesa all the way to Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. An earlier stall car that was blocking the slow lane just before Governor made your cause for that back up here. It's now out of the way, but things are pretty much, you know, it's already done there. The West 94 King Freeway, that's not too bad. Just a minor slowdown in the downtown. Your West 8 ride this morning, not too bad either. Just a bit of a delay from Fairmount out to the 805 as you make that right-hand turn there. West 52, a little tight coming off the 125 out of Santee at the top of the summit. Slows again into Kearney Mesa underneath the 163. And again, one more time out of Kearney Mesa in toward the 1805 freeway. South 15, slow and go out of Escondido from El Norte Parkway now all the way down to Villa Rancho. More slowing into Rancho Bernardo. And the coaster ride, South 5 suffering here at La Costa for a solid slow ride and single digits in most parts down that entire stretch into Solana Beach. I told you, I'm starting to read. I'm trying to be educated. And Ashley. I like to flow. She likes to flow. On Rock 105.3. It is 742. Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars is asking an L.A. judge to suspend his palimony payments to his ex-girlfriend. Kasim Osgood was a no-show for the Chargers OCS. What does that stand for? Off-season coaching session. Why, do you think? Well, he told them he wasn't going to show up for these because they're not going to let him play receiver. He doesn't want to go and wear out his body running routes and stuff that he knows he's not going to play. So he says he's just going to train in it somewhere else. That's his right to do? These aren't mandatory, but everybody shows up for them. That is an interesting thing. I really want to think about that. I really want to think about it. Think about it. We got text messages coming into this place. Wow.

Letting dogs sleep on the bed can confuse them on what is their position in their family and lead to confusion at who is the leader. Signed P13T. And that's because he communicates with animals? He must be a dog whisperer. No, I have heard that. You know, you need to make it clear to dogs who is in charge. And if they don't know who is in charge, like, they have anxiety. And so they, like, freak out and have anxiety. But how is sleeping on a bed not knowing that you're in charge? Because in the animal world, I believe, you know, the higher-ups sleep. Like the Lion King, you know how they were on the documentary, The Lion King? Well, but you're right, Skye. It's like the dog will then think it's her property. That bed is her bed. You know, you're coming onto her bed. Yeah, you're going into her world. See, cats already believe that they rule everything, so there's no... Sky, that is true. There's no confusion there. Bunch of jerks. Let's see. This one says, Mikey, I think animals should be able to stay on the bed. They have rights and need love all the time. P1 Mike.
I don't think animals have rights. It's true, it's in the constitution. They have constitutional rights? Read it, read it, yeah. What does it say? It says that animals have the right to coleslaw. Oh, they do say that? Meat is murder! Meat is murder! Would you eat your dog? Meat is murder! Would you eat your dog? Would you eat your cat? There it is. That person had a wonderful night's sleep that night. He's got a lot of energy. Uh, Mikey, are Sky and Eddie choosing their pets over their spouses, which is unhealthy in a marriage? Signed, P1JD. Wait a minute. Both of them both shook their heads yes. No, we did not. I dare you, we did not. She did. I mouth a little. Mikey, my boyfriend hates having our chihuahua in bed at night. Well, that's a rat.
So when he's sleeping, I sneak it out of its crate and let it under the blankets. Oh, I love it. Hey guys, this is P1AmyK. My significant other shares a dog with his ex-girlfriend. Oh, awkward. That is so inappropriate. Yeah, I mean, it goes one way or the other. There's no sharing a dog. Nah. Stupid. They have shared custody. It makes me feel weird because the dog is not mine and still goes to her house. That's crazy. I don't know any of this. That is the worst thing I've ever heard. That is rad. How does she put up with that? That's tough. Please call in whoever sent that text. That is awful. I would love to talk to you about that. Wow. P1 Mike, are you there? Yeah, this is P1 Mike. What is your, is this your girlfriend or your wife that we're talking? This is my girlfriend. What does her animal do? What's that? What does her animal do? She has two cats and they, one of them has a serious.
vomiting problems um oh yeah one of ours does too yeah i know it will lots of cats do all over the stairs yep all over the stairs all the time now i like air balls it's not like you know just you know here and there almost every single day i get up in the morning and there's blotches of vomit all over the living room Like five in the morning. Skye is giggling over there. Why is she laughing? Because she thinks it's cute. You know, it's part of having a cat. P1, Mike. I love it between my toes. Mike, who cleans it? What? Well, I have to clean it sometimes. Usually I'll just leave it for her. I'll just say, listen, babe, you know, you got to clean the cat stuff. But, you know, I'll take the high road if it's just me at the house because she works a different shift. So if it's just me, I have to clean it. To my wife's credit, she cleans it every time. Yeah, get some cat grass. That's cool. Our cats won't touch that stuff. Really? Let me tell you. Do you know what the cat grass is, Mike? No. They sell this. It's called cat grass, I guess. It's called cat grass. It's grass. Okay. And it's grown in a little. It looks like a little plant you buy.
And they sell it at the grocery store. It's a little patch of grass. It's a little patch of grass at the grocery store. I think it comes out of a sponge like they grow it in a sponge. They put the seeds in a sponge and it grows right out. And the cats eat it and it like helps their stomach to not throw it. Well, our cats won't eat it. Really? No, because they want to eat our plants and that's all they want is our plants. And so they won't touch that grass you get for them. Yeah. See, we can't have. plants like where the cats can reach them because they'll eat our cats like love green stuff so the only thing you see this like you're giving up your rights as a plant owner yeah like when my husband gets me flowers we have to put them on the top shelf you have to put them on the top shelf yeah yeah because they'll jump she's accommodating that good point Just kidding. Wow, that torpedo just sailed directly to Escondido. That's all I'm saying. No, I have some right now on the top shelf. I do. I do. He's good. He's good about flowers. Skye, who cleans up the cat vomit at your house? It just depends who finds it first. So if you find it, you clean it? Yes. My wife always cleans it. If I find it, I just leave it. Oh, well, that's not very cool. Wait a minute. That's not very cool. Just saying. Let me think about that. That's not very cool.
It's not his pets. I'm assuming what you mean by that is it's not very cool that they did that. And I do agree with that. It's not very cool that you see a mess. You see a mess and you just walk right by it and go, oh, my wife will take care of that. And the longer it sits there, the more it will stain the carpet. Let me tell you. Let me tell you. What's up? It's not cool. I don't want the cats. I don't want them. Yeah. Get rid of them. I love my wife. You've made a commitment to them. I've made a commitment to my wife. Oh, yeah, but one of the cats is yours. So how do you even know which one? If it's his, he can do what he wants and get rid of it. Sure. No. Would anybody like... Well, I mean, you can, but you can have a child and put it, you know, and decide like after three years that you don't want it anymore. A child you create. A cat you just...
They're around. He created that cat in love. No, he didn't. Out of love. Yeah, one of the cats is yours, Mike. So you should pick up that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I should have the right to give it away. Come on. Well, then give it away. That makes you a horrendous human being. Ashley just gave me permission. Ladies and gentlemen, if anybody would like a cat. Give it away. If you want, but if you're going to keep it. You shall not. You should. Half a little sign. Free cat. Half and half pick up the vomit, bro. Free cat. Free cat. Why are they keeping you? I'm so sorry. Free cat. Free cat. Here's what you do. Tiny little anvils on its feet. Shut up. Eddie. Oh, my God. You're the one. Tiny little anvils. Just go down to Acme anvils. P1 Todd? Yes. I am in a big midst of an argument with my girlfriend because I am desperately trying to train them how to use the toilet. The cats use the toilet. Why are you doing that? I hate cat litter. Yeah, I know, but cats don't use the toilet. No, they can be trained to use the toilet. It's a fake picture, Sky. No, my mom had a cat.
My mom had a cat that used the toilet. It's a picture on the internet. My mom had a cat that used the toilet. Call my grandma. Call her grandma. Get her grandma on if this cat used the toilet. I was going to say, because I think there's someone in the building. There's a thing online that I found that is called the cat trainer, and it works. Let me tell you, there is a video on the internet of a cat on the toilet. It's fake. What do you think about this, Mikey? Are you opposed or are you for? First, I'm opposed. Does a cat flush the toilet? I'm opposed. But wouldn't you rather just have to flush the toilet than clean? Wouldn't you rather walk in there and find a little gift from your cat? Is that what you're asking me? Or clean the litter. I mean, what would you rather do? I'd rather flush the toilet. Sky, that means that you walk into your bathroom and you go, oh, who was in? Oh, it was the cat. The cat didn't flush either. Right? Right. Oh, Sky. What would you rather do? Go digging through kitty litter? I can't believe that this is a real conversation. And this is a real conversation, by the way. This is real. I think it's a great idea. People do this. I think it is a great idea. I know it. Yeah, that's another great point. What? You save money on litter. You have to flush your cat's poo down the toilet every time you walk.
You have to scoop it out of a box. What is the huge difference? I'll tell you how. That litter at least has these masking agents that are on it that kind of try to hide the odor. You walk into your bathroom and your stinky cat made a stinker. It smells like litter. It does. Dude, because litter nowadays, they have this litter that helps because they cover it. Well, the air freshener in the bathroom. Sky. What do you want? No smell. That is true. Thugs are so much better. There's this guy that, he sent me this link of this thing that you actually hook up in your, wherever you have your washer and dryer. Do you see this thing, Sky? I don't know what you're talking about. It's this device that you hook up wherever you have your washer and dryer. And you know how your washer has like a, it's got like a drain, I think, where all the dirty water goes down a drain. You connect this thing to that pipe. And it shows it's not that hard to do. It's just kind of an expensive item. Right. But every time your cat makes a duty, it goes through, you know, with a little rake and picks up the duty and dumps it into this thing, litter and all, with the pebbles of the litter. And this thing grinds it up into a fine little powder and spits it into that drain. And it's a toilet for your cat.
For real, dude. Wow. For real. That's crazy. That's interesting. I don't think it really works. Why? I've tried those automatic litter cleaners. No, no, no, no. The automatic litter cleaner is different. Those don't work. This is a different item. It plugs into your drain system, and it's like a toilet. Yeah, but still, just digging it out of the litter. You don't trust the rake. I don't trust the rake. The rake is faulty. P1 Hydroponics is on the line. Hydroponics, are you there? Oh, maybe I should hit the button where it actually turns on. Oh, that's weird. Hi, Hydroponics. Hey, what's happening? What's your story? A girlfriend of mine's got a couple cats. And as soon as we go to bed all night long, like all you hear is just running across the house. And she doesn't want to get one of those cat scratcher things because she thinks they're ugly. And she wants like this $500 cat tower thing. She won't get one until then. And they destroy your couch. They destroy the bed.
are crazy. So we go to Petco to, like, go look to get one or something, and I'm pointing out, like, let's get a snake. Like, it stays in the cage. No, she doesn't want a snake. I was like, all right, well, let's get a lizard then. No, they're ugly. They're scaly. And she's like, let's get a chinchilla. I was like, dude, that's the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my life. Like, dude, there's no way I would ever get a chinchilla. And they're so messy, and the house always reeks. So I'm always changing it every time I'm over there. I'm the one that does it. So it's like, what's the point of having them if you don't take care of them in the first place? I don't think I want pets. Yeah, I agree with you. I just want to be pet-free. I understand. Oh, no, come on. He likes those cats, man. He thinks they're cute. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yesterday, we were watching this animated cartoon. Yeah. And a cat came on, and when it was over, he said, Kitty, Kitty, you want to see it again? Aww. But, yeah, you know, kids could like ponies. Don't mean you have to get them one. Yes, you do. You do have to? Yep. Is that the law? Yep. Well, I was just going to tell you guys, oh. I was just going to tell you guys. It left me. Come back, fleeting thought. Come back, fleeting thought. Oh, I do want to take this guy's call. This lady. One last call and then we'll take a break. Shannon, are you there? Yeah. Tell me, this is so disgusting. Oh, no. Stop. What does your boyfriend do? Well, he'll let the dog or the cat lick him and then he wants to go and give me a kiss. That's so disgusting. Okay, listen. There are...
The, I let people's, I let my dogs lick me on the mouth people. And then there are the, I do not let my dog lick me on the mouth people. And I'm in the latter. I don't let the dog lick me on the mouth. I don't let the dog lick me at all. You don't let the dog even lick your hand. No, because I mean, my thing is, you know, until they learn how to use toilet paper. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sure. Exactly. Exactly. Eddie, it is kind of gross though, right? Not at all. Not at all? When a big like Labrador retriever is licking in between your fingers with that tongue, that big pink tongue. As long as if the dog's like kissing neatly, like I'll kiss Sammy on the lips, but I do it really slowly. I'll go and I'll like peck her. Oh, that's disgusting, Ash. So it's like we barely touch. So you're saying no tongue. No tongue. Exactly. That's exactly what I'm saying. No French. Because I'll just put my lips out in a pucker and she knows. And so she'll give me a little and I'll go. But that's okay. That's not okay. But then my boyfriend will, like, make out with her and then try to kiss me. And I'm like, get away. He'll let the dog's tongue touch him? Oh, yeah. And he thinks it's funny. He thinks it's funny. And then he comes and tries to kiss me like it's a joke. It's gross. I'm like, get away from me. I know. I'm with you guys. I'm with you. You know what I'm saying, Mike. It's so filthy. You know what I'm saying. I don't.
You actually do. I do, but I don't want to accept it. Text number is 35253. It's an awful thing. She's so cute. Do you touch her lips then? No, just her tongue. Because when I pucker, she knows that I'm going in for a kiss, so she'll give me a little lip, and then I'll pucker. That means that on your mouth is dog tongue. It's her love. She's so cute. I love her so much. Text number. 35253. Tito Ortiz from the UFC still to come. When we come back, I'm going to play the audio of Barack Obama telling people to lay off his wife. Once upon a time, there was a city mouse that came to stay in the country. He was a fast-talking mouse who told wild stories about inexpensive cable and exotic cheeses. Well, I mean that they don't, you don't have to sign a contract to be with Cricket. Like other companies, you have to sign a contract that's normally like a minimum of two years. And if you leave, you have to pay all these fines and what have you. But with Cricket, you can come and go as you please. Eddie, what about text messages and stuff? You don't have to pay for it. What do you mean? You don't pay for the text messages. Okay, but how much do they cost? Zero. No one will wait. Zero dollars.
I want to know in U.S. currency how much it will cost me to send text to my friends. Zero. Zero. Sky, what's the conversion on that? Zero equals zero dollars. So that means you're not paying anything to send a text message? Well, yeah, because when you get a plan through Cricut Wireless, you get unlimited texting as part of the plan. That's pretty awesome. Eddie, do you have any other thoughts on it? I would like to say that if you like to save money. Eddie? is laying on the console on his stomach. No need to speak out of school. Yeah. He's laying on the console. Look at Ashley. Oh, my God. Eddie now has his hands up to his face like a little boy in 1940s listening to the radio. Mike, what is he doing? And he's rocking his legs back and forth. He's laying on his stomach on the console. I love cricket. Hey, what are you, five?

Dear Tom, I took my girlfriend Heather to Shane Company to look at engagement rings. I was very nervous. It's such a huge investment. But your saleswoman calmed me down. and found the perfect ring style Heather wanted. I whispered to the saleswoman my price range for the diamond and she showed us several. Heather picked one out and your saleswoman placed the diamond into the setting and Heather slipped it on. She was absolutely glowing. Seeing her joy, my eyes got misty and even your saleswoman became teary-eyed. It was a moment Heather and I will never forget and your saleswoman is the sole reason I made the purchase at Shane Company that day. Sincerely, Steve Shantz. Rock 105.3 Traffic. by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Pretty tough on some of our freeways here this morning, especially the 805 northbound coming out of the South Bay. I suggest you use the 5 instead. This 805 is just a mess. It crawls here, coming up towards Plaza Boulevard, and that stays with you slow and go, man, all the way over Mission Valley, up through Tourney Mesa, up towards Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. This all started with a stalled car near Governor, and then an injury crash involving a motorcycle near Balboa made that 805 just a complete mess. The 5 freeway, much better, just a brief delay past the 54 from there. You're good to go into downtown, into the city on this 5 freeway. South on this Silver Strand, the traffic light remains in effect coming out of Coronado down to the Coronado Caves. An earlier overturned crash really blocked things up for some time, but it's out of the way now, but you're being advised to avoid it until things get back to normal. Out of the East County, this West 94, quite affected by the busy 805, backing up from Euclid to the 805 freeway.
Westbound 8, also seeing some heavy traffic here from College Avenue all the way in toward the 805, and then again out of Hotel Circle to the 5 freeway. Heading south in the 15, looking fairly decent out of Escondido right now. Just some reduced speeds left over here in Rancho Bernardo. This coaster rides south on side of the 5, though quite heavy out of La Costa into Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. It's Jason Mraz. Yeah, it's Jason Mraz, right? You know what you're doing. I like it. You know what you're doing right now. It should be. I like to sing like Jack Johnson. That is not true. He has one song that sounds a little Jack Johnson. Have you heard his other stuff? Fine, let's listen to it right now. Everything he does. No. Opposite. Eddie's hemorrhaging. You guys didn't even know who he was until like a week ago, and now you claim to be the expert. Well, yeah, we didn't know because the whole time we had heard it, but we thought it was Jason Mraz. Oh, you mean Jack Johnson. Ha ha, funny joke. Either way. That's Jack Johnson, right? Yes. Oh, I think they're totally different. That was Jack Johnson or Jason Mraz? Right.
I've never heard that song. I think that was Jason Mraz. Yeah, definitely. I think it was Jack Johnson. Stop it. But it's hard to tell. Play like Wordplay or Remedy. That's the Black Rose. No. Love them. Jason Johnson. It's Jack Johnson. Is this the new one? Wordplay. What's the new one? What is it called? I'm Yours. I'm Yours, yeah. Here we go. See, this is a little Jack Johnson-ish. I won't lie. Definitely. I won't lie. But the rest of his songs don't. And it's still great, though. Oh, it's awesome. It's a great song. It's awesome. And they both sound like John Mayer. Well, you done done me and you bet I felt it. I tried to beat you, but you saw that I'm melting. I fell right through the cracks. Now I'm trying to get back.
Before the cool done run out, I'll be giving it my best. Welcome back. It's 8-17. 14 construction workers were hurt when a gas leak caused an explosion yesterday at the new Hilton Hotel under construction downtown. I'm going to make a statement. I like it. Eddie, do it. This, where is it, May 20th? Yes. 2008. Yes. May be the lowest point in the Padres' history. Ever? Ever. Ever? Ever. In the history of the franchise? They're the worst team in baseball, record-wise. And Jake Peavy is headed to the 15-day decision. No, but that's not good. So, before we went to break, I said that we had some audio of Osama Obama. Don't do that. Don't do that. Barack bin.
It's not funny. It is not funny. It is not. It is not funny. It isn't. What's his middle name? It's not funny. Barack Obama. It's Barack Hussein Obama. Barack Hussein Obama? What a nut. That's his middle name. What's going on? That is his middle name. Sky, don't be so mean. There's nothing wrong with it. It's an invasion. Lots of people have strange middle names. You're mean, Sky. Sky, why? Why would you do that? It's okay. It's okay. What's yours? Shush. A beautiful name. Thank you, Ashley. It's a guy's name. So? It doesn't have to be. Yeah, thank you. Says who? Right. The world. Whatever. So Barack Obama was on Good Morning America, and he got a little irritated. Cut 32. Should you get through this process and you have the general election ahead of you, that this is what you can expect more? His wife. Are you prepared for that? You know, let me just interject on this. The GOP, should I be the nominee, I think can say whatever they want to say about me, my track record. If they think that they're going to try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful because that I find unacceptable.
The notion that you start attacking my wife. I'll open a can of Harvard on there. Michelle is the most honest, the best person I know. She is one of the most caring people I know. You're valiant. You're very valiant. And for them to try to distort or to play snippets of her remarks in ways that are unflattering to her, I think is just low class. And I think most of the American people would think that as well. Whoever is in charge of the Tennessee GOP needs to think long and hard about the kind of campaign that they want to run. And I think that's true for everybody, Democrat or Republican. We're trusting that the American voters are ready to talk about the issues and not talking about the things that have nothing to do with making people's lives better. But I also think these folks should lay off my way. We've already. Hello. We've already heard. One call for show. There is. I just wanted to say that my name is... Whoa! Barbara, are you okay? Should we send some help? Hello? Hello? Are you there? Hello, who's this? You called us, Barbara. Hi, Eddie. Thank you for calling. I don't call you. I was just listening to...
Osama bin Laden. No, that's not who you're listening to. You are confused. You're listening to Barack Obama. Sounds like somebody's going to, I guess, straight pop a cap in somebody, huh? Oh, no. You did seem to get a little missed. Are you saying that just because he's African-American? Well, before I say anything, maybe I should say that I am, Barbara, a part-time Hillary supporter, full-time black woman. Yeah. No, you say that every time you call. That is correct. Yeah. And I just wanted to call in because I heard you guys talking about Barack, and I think he's an awful, awful man. Whoa! Why? He's standing up for his wife. Isn't that something that we should admire? He is standing up for his wife on one hand, and on the other hand, he is torturing Americans with his hand of greed. What are you talking about, Barack? That makes no sense. He wants to deprive people of certain rights. Like what? Gays. He wants to take away their rights. That's not true. Where did you hear that? Just read about it. It's not true. Where did you read that? I was on his blog. He said AIDS for all Americans. No. That's AIDS for all Americans. Really? I'm against that. I don't think he said that. That's not true, Barbara. Let me see. What else? I'm looking through my notes. You take notes? Notes?
Says right here, Barack Obama wants to outlaw puppies. Oh, that's terrible. That is not true. Is that true? No, it's not. Sky, you just love the brothers, girl. What? You just love the brothers. That has nothing to do with anything. It is true. That is true. And that's why she's supporting Barack Obama. That's not why. Is that why? No, that is not why. It's because he is black, ring a bell. It does smell. No, that is not the reason. Hillary Clinton, by the way, hillaryclinton.com is the website. Tell us all the time. What? Are you what? No, you're all right. Am I slurring? Okay, you're saying it louder. Chill. Well, yeah, I was just calling and I just wanted to... Is this Eddie? Is this the Mikey show? Yes. Oh, Barbara. Did you forget? Where did you put my prescription? Well, I don't know where you live. I don't know anything about that. Eddie, where'd you put it? I don't know anything about that. Eddie, why are you hiding her pills? I'm right in front of you, you jerk. Why would you do that to Barbara? Anyone for a gold, schlager, and Jager spitzer? What is that? What's a spitzer? Oh, is that what she meant?
She slurs a little bit. You can be clean. Oh, I'm sorry. You were. My bad. I was so furious watching the evening news last night. I turned it on to Channel 7, and I... Oh, no! Barbara! Barbara! Lady. Barbara. Well, not a lot of medication. Barbara. It's a very masculine snore. Oh, Barbara. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hi. Hi, guys. Hi. It's so wonderful to talk to you guys again. I was calling in about Barack Obama. I just went through all this. We've already talked to you about this. Sorry about that. It's the Frangelico talking. I am a... What? I don't even know what that is. No, I've never heard of that. It's a specialty drink. Only black people drink it. Thank you. Oh. What? You would know anything about it. I don't. I don't know anything about it. Never heard of that. Okay, so I'm just going to play more of the Usher music. Play that in the club again. It's love in the club, Barbara. Break that off. It's love in the club. Break that off. Can you break that off one time? This doesn't sound right coming out of your... That's what I'm talking about. You want to hear it, I guess. That's what I'm talking about, dog. I mean, it is a jam. Number one song on iTunes. Hey. Hey. Yo. Forget that. You said it, guys. Okay. Hey.
He is a handsome guy, don't you guys think? He looks so good in those jeans. You can see the, you know, the ripped abs and everything. Yeah, and I understand that he, well, he takes his shirt off, and I understand that he used to be in an actual gang in East L.A. Yeah, and that he's actually been in prison and he's shot four people. You're thinking somebody else. Is that not true? That is not true. Oh, that's the guy I'm dating right now. I am writing letters. I just got involved in a letter writing program. She's out. She actually hung out the phone. That was crazy. He is so gangsta. I can't even keep up. She's a part-time Hillary supporter, she says, and a full-time black woman. She keeps it home. Did you guys know that tonight is the first part of the American Idol finale? What do you mean first part? What do you mean by first part? Well, there's two parts. Oh, you mean like they're going to sing tonight and then tomorrow's the... Exactly. Okay. So tomorrow they will announce the American Idol.
After the break. You should have got that job, Mike. I know it. I know it. That makes me upset, though, Scott. But you did that so good. Say after the break. After the break. Oh, so good. Thanks, guys. So good. Wow. You were wrong. So, odds makers say David Cook will win. What do you guys think? Odds makers? Eddie, who do you think will win? Who do I think will win or who do I think should win? Who do you think will win? I think the answer lies in the performances tonight. Oh, Chetty, look at you. You do not. What do you think, Sky? I think if David Cook sucks, the Archuleta could pull this out. Yeah, I don't know. I really, it could go either way and I wouldn't be surprised. Yeah. Does anybody remember Bo Bice? Thank you. Who? It's true. What's up? What's he doing nowadays, huh? Not much. This guy's got the top 10 best running songs. Oh. Songs to run to. Yep. That's correct. If you're going running, what are the 10 songs you're going to put on your iPod? Jason Mraz. Dell. Don't be a jerk. Fly and Eye now. Fly and Eye. Fly and Eye. Rocky. Rocky. Oh. It's the number one song people run to. Yeah. Or Eye of the Tiger. This, the Rocky theme. Eye of the Tiger is number one.
Number one? Number one. This is the song he wants to up the stairs. Oh, yeah. Gonna fly now. Number six. Gonna fly now. Number six. So, wait. But Eye of the Tiger. Eye of the Tiger's one. That's six? Well, dude, play it. You want something with words. Yeah, but Eye of the Tiger's so old and lame. Just wait. You're going to put it on. You're going to start sprinting around this place. I don't know any of this. I'm confused. Let's see. What's up? In the movie, he runs to the flyer. But, Eddie, not everybody lives their life like the Rocky movie. Wrong. Oh, yeah. You trained to this. Keep your feet still now, bro. You trained to this. You trained to this, but you don't run to it. That's a good point, Eddie. You run, they're going to fly now. Train, what are you doing? Eddie's doing crunches. To the beat of the song. Yeah, this is the song that we, like, rev up to in my yoga class. It is not. Oh, for sure. Really? When we start doing the bicycle crunches or the mountain climb and it gets gnarly, put this on. Wow. Is Wally of Wally World your actual yoga instructor? No, but that would be sweet. That would be sweet. I might actually take yoga if that happens. Running songs. Anything by Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin. No, that's what you run to, Rob. Good stuff. What about the Beach Boys?
Can you imagine him running to the jungle? Welcome to the jungle. Oh, yeah. Welcome to the jungle. Oh, yeah. Nope. What? Don't worry, be happy. Bon Jovi. What is that guy's name? Shot Through the Heart. Nope. Yeah, Shot Through the Heart. Bon Jovi. Do you like people that say they don't know the name of the song, so they say like 15 of the lyrics? Right. Oh, oh, oh, I know. Shot Through the Heart and You're to Blame. You give love. Bon Jovi, the other one, Mike. No Bon Jovies. Oh, is it We Got the Beat, We Got the Beat, We Got the Beat, Yeah? Anything by Iron Maiden. Sean, pull yourself together, man. Nothing by Bon Jovi. Cuts like a knife. And you're too lame. Wait, no. Cuts like a knife. And you're too lame, darling. What are you doing? A mix up? A mash? What's going on? A mixy mash? Scratchies. Mikey show. It's Mikey.
Mikey. Yes. Hey, I just wanted to say, this is P1 Steve, and Ashley should never be allowed to talk about Eye of the Tiger and yoga in the same sentence. Thank you. Thank you. I support that. What do you got, Eddie? Your name is Luca. It's not. First of all, I'm so confused. First of all, I know for a fact it's not your name. Vega Boys. Your name is Luca. You live on the second floor. It's called Luca. Yeah, that's what I said. No. You live on the second floor. Maybe you've seen me before. Who sings it, Eddie? Suzanne Vega. The Vega Boys. No, it's not the Vega Boys. Oh. Oh. Your name is Luca. Stop. You already said that. I run to this like, nah, stop. Obsession and emotion. Stefani. Dude, that's a number one running. How about this? Systematic. Deep Colors Blue. Wow. Number one running song of all time. Limp Bizkit Break Stuff. Oh, that was a good one. We're doing for the middle of something. Yeah, we're in the middle of the running thing, right? Yeah, number three. Poison. Horn Adidas.
Anything from Drowning Pool. Sprung Monkey, get him out of here. System of a Down. Fast Car, Tracy Chapman. Smells like teen spirit. I love that song. I love that song. Great visual, Eddie. Okay. That was what I called for. It was not. I got a feeling I would just belong. I'll be with someone. I'll be with someone. You guys have only got two answers right so far. Oh, please. We've got them all right. You're pretending we have it. You keep changing the list. Run to you. No. It's in the title. A Thousand Miles, Vanessa Carlton. Your most ridiculous guess you have. The Warriors song by Scandal. Anything from Van Halen or Motley Crue? Mikey Show. Hello? Yeah, go ahead. I want to take a guess. Celine Dion, My Heart Will Go On. Why would you do this to me? She's asking a big guess. It's a running song.
It's a running song. Look at Eddie. See, Eddie's running to it. Oh, no. No, that doesn't work. Eddie, you've got to wipe the tears away, though, while you're running. There you go. You've got to run to the bathroom and roll up. Appropriate? Oh, share belief. Oh, yeah. Scott, look on the list. I don't need to look on that list. Yo, look on that list. Yo. I know there's no share on this list. Believe. You haven't looked on the list. But I know. I sure, yeah. I would double check it. You're not even looking on the list. I would double check it. Oh, wow. Wham, do the jitterbug. Check it. It's not do the jitterbug. It's not called that, Eddie. It's the name of the song. It's not called that. No. It's called Wake Me Up Before You. Oh, oh, oh, oh. I want you to picture Zeth running to this. Thank you. And you're welcome. That's easy. And restroom. All right. 500 Miles, The Proclaimers. Oh, wow. That's a good one. Wow. That's a good one. Elton John, your song. You've got the... Positive. I don't know. Oh, Chariots of Fire, Vangelis. Yeah. Number four. Yeah. Finally. Five.
That's a good guess. Yeah, dude. I got it. I got it. Oh, nice. Eddie's running in slow motion now. Why is he running in slow motion? That's the only problem to go in slow motion. You've never seen Chariots of Fire? The whole movie is filmed in slow motion. Is it? That seems kind of awkward. Okay, Eddie's coming to the finish line now in slow motion. He just broke through his finish line. Does he need to make that face? Oh, yeah. It's a look at Triumph right there. That's what Triumph looks like. Yeah. I don't like trials. When you have to go, oops, it does. It was just like that. It was just like that. Okay. Oh, goodness. How about JoJo, Too Little, Too Late? Oh, it's just what I run into. The theme to Knight Rider. No. Knight Rider. Knight Rider. Sweet home Alabama. Mikey Show. Theme to Who's the Boss?
Hello. Thank you very much. Hello. How are you? Just fine. How are you? Fantastic. My daughter and I both have a guess. What about MC Hammer? Can't touch this. Yes. Is MC Hammer can't touch this on the list, Sky? No. Young MC, bust a move. Yeah, bust a move. Sky, check it. That's a good guess, but no. Oh, shoot. All right, you guys have a good one. No, she said shoot. No, she said shoot. No. I heard you went out. What about new shoes? I can't wait. Oh, that's a great song. Great song, Mike. Great song, Mike. Great song, Mike. Great song, Mike. What about the opening to Banachek? Oh, yeah. Don't. Hey, Ron. I'm not messing around. I'll go right into commercial if you do it. I didn't know if anyone wrote to that. Mikey Show. Keep your shirt on, bro. What about Europe? Final countdown. Oh, good one.
What about Europe, the final countdown? It's a great one. Oh. We're not going to hear the list, Sean. If you allow him to get away with it, then he'll just keep doing it. Eddie's right. When you tell your kids we're leaving the store, you've got to leave the store. Otherwise, they'd think that they could just do it all the time. The I sit on you song. Does anyone run to that? The westbound 52 in earlier accident is wrapping up near the 163. So watch for maybe a minor delay around that. The ride out of Escondido looking pretty nice in the South 15. Good to go. Just a minor so down into Rancho Bernardo. Westbound 56. Still a bit tight from Carmel Valley Road up to around the 5 freeway. And this coaster ride staying quite heavy on the South 5 out of La Costa all the way to Solana Beach. Down McLaurin on Rock 105.3. Way to state the obvious. I saw a sign.

The next day I went to my local Vons and I was back in that fresh meat section and I went to go buy some Johnsonville brats for myself. And they were out. They were sold out of Johnsonville brats. I'm not kidding. I am not lying about that. They were completely out. So I was really stoked about that. And this weekend is Memorial Day. It's Memorial weekend. And what do you do on Memorial Day? You grill. So this is what you got to do on your way home tonight. Stop by your local grocery store. It doesn't matter what it is. Go back to that fresh meat section and look for Johnsonville Brats. Hopefully they won't be sold out. If they're not, buy like five packages, more than that, ten. And, you know, put them in your freezer or just cook them up because they are that delicious. So check it out, Johnsonville Brats. It's the one show for independent and assisted living products and services. And now another classic Mikey Show moment. P1 Gypsy. Oh, my God. I'm hearing you guys talk about the Eraser movie. The worst thing I ever saw. Interview not hard to get. Yes, this is an easy one. Everywhere. I went to the drive-in and took some of it the whole time. You went to the drive-in? Awesome. Yeah, where did you go to 1955? Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. It's the Mikey Show at 853. The New York college student who accused Lindsay Lohan of stealing her mink coat has now filed a lawsuit. There was a no-hitter in baseball last night. Where? The Red Sox, Mike. Ah, the Red Sox. John Lester tossed the first no-hitter of the baseball season. He talks about throwing the no-no, cut seven. Something that I'll remember forever. A lot of excitement. You know, I think I had more dreamt in it than I did in the first inning, which, you know, I guess is...
He's normal for that situation, but it was great. The fans were great. They're on their feet yelling and screaming. It was probably one of the loudest times I've heard Fenway when I've been out there pitching. What a trip. It's hard to do, right? It doesn't happen very often. He's not as cool as throwing a perfect game. It's up there, right? I guess it's cool. Let's get rough. Ask men.com did a research study on how to tell if a guy is whipped. Okay. Uh, going for a beer requires permission. It's not just going for a beer that requires her permission. So does every other trivial excursion in the mind of your power hungry girlfriend going for a beer with your friends spells out trouble and therefore it's heavily frowned upon. I'm trying to imagine a boyfriend that would.
be with a girlfriend if he's got to ask her for permission to go. I understand if you're giving your girlfriend the heads up because you guys have plans, but you don't ask for... Who gets on the phone and goes, can I go? I mean, I guess that's what it would sound like. And nobody does that. Number two, she makes your decisions for you. In your protective prison womb of a relationship, you no longer really make anything more than minor life decisions for yourself. You have little or no say in the affairs that directly concern you, such as holiday destinations, major purposes, or even plans for the weekend. Three, you have a joint email account. I don't understand the joint email accounts. Unless you're trying to reach both. Unless you're trying to reach, you know what I mean? Then I get it. Like, in other words, let's say that I was wanting to invite you and Debra someplace and you guys had. You put my name, you put her name. Yeah, you could. No, you totally could. A joint email just sounds so claustrophobic. It does. It does. Invading my space. I agree. You know? What if your wife manages your email for you? How?
How? How would that work? How would that ever happen? Sean. Meaning like she goes in there and cleans everything up. What? What is he talking about? What would she see that is not important? Well, you know, there's like spam and stuff, Mike, and it's got to get cleaned out and stuff that's not important. Well, Sean and his wife will answer the phone together. No, they will not. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. What? You'll call the house and they answer the phone together. What? Totally. How does that work? A lot of people do that. It's speakerphone, Mike. I'll tell you exactly how it works. You call, the speakerphone, you hear the speakerphone answer, and you hear, Hey, Mikey. Hey. Totally. No. Two of them answer the phone together. You guys are nut balls. And, you know, sometimes I'll have something very personal, so I'll have to say, Hey, Sean, is it cool if I just get you right now?
And that's not awkward for you to do or anything. No, it's so awkward. And he'll go, yeah, sure. And he'll pick the phone up. And she'll go, bye, Mikey. I love Dina. She understands. She's the best. The joint email account. It says, this loss of independence is one of the clearest and most seemingly innocent signs you're whipped by a woman. Certain... prerogatives must be sacrificed in any serious relationship, of course, but don't let her combine your personalities into one and do your speaking for you. Numero... Eddie just got dizzy. Head hurts. Numero quattro. Quattro. You go home when she's ready. The decision to go home during a night of socializing is no longer yours when you're whipped. Now you wait for the, I'm ready. And then rush off to get the coats and issue apologies to your friends who, once you've left, just shake their heads and talk about your transformation. Next one on the list. Rob is just staring blankly into the room like he's listening to Jeff and Jerry in his headphones. It's like, I don't hear what you're saying. I love being whipped, dude.
That's right. The best thing that ever happened to me. That's right. Seriously. Yep. And we'll save that clip. Save that clip. Thank you. Shawnee, play it over and over again. Shawnee, play it within the next five minutes. I'll send that right to him, Mike. For real. You have a... I'll give you a cleaner one if you want it. Please. You have a... What do you want me to say? I want you to say... The one I have is fine, Rob. Yeah, Rob, I don't want to tell you. Just speak from the heart. I am whipped and I love it. Can you imagine playing that to Boston Rob of a year or a year and a half ago? Dude, he would, he would, this would be the reaction. I'll imitate it. I'll imitate it. This would be the reaction. I would have kicked my own ass. What happened? Next one on the list, you have a different social group. When your friends are magically replaced with her friends. So like his friend Dirty and those guys, they're not around anymore. You can take it as one of the definite signs that you're whipped. Johnny B. It's no longer acceptable for you to spend time with your old crew. So you find yourself looking for an acceptable substitute, which ends up being the boring boyfriend of one of her friends. That does not happen though. Next one is she commits you to events.
Rob is laughing in there. As I read, he's sitting in there. He starts to laugh. She commits you to events. You might think your calendar of events is pretty open for the next few months, but little did you know how wrong you are. This guy goes to banquets and stuff now. Yeah, dude. Her family throws events, and I get to go to them, and it is like going to heaven. Wine tasting. Going to heaven. Oh, yeah. I love her family. Next one. Oh, my gosh. Your friends don't even bother. On your average Friday night, you used to get several calls and even more text messages from friends wondering about your plans for the evening. Now you get nothing because everyone just assumes that you'll be kept under lock and key. It's board game night on Friday, Mike. We don't. That's right. Cranium. Cranium. Cranium is the bomb. Oh my gosh. This is happening. And the last one is you're no longer interesting, funny, or desirable. Essentially, her power over you has managed to drain you of all your willpower and creativity. What is that, Eddie? Well, I've never been to any of those three, so. Over time, you've been forced to water yourself down so much in the name of maturity and respectability. I beg to differ on that one. I still get yelled at about that. That you can no longer pretend to be of any use to anyone but your overbearing girlfriend.
It's very quiet in this room. It's very quiet in this room. The silence in the room is very uncomfortable. It's deafening. Yeah, it's golden. It's deafening. It really is, Mike. Oh, I love it. It makes me uncomfortable. It makes me happy. Let's see. That guy busted my chops for now long. He did. He busted my chops. He did. You suck at me. You suck at me. When I was getting married for months and months. And I still will, old man. Sign in your life away. So we can't do nothing fun no more. How many times did I have to hear that? Give me a break. What did he give you as a gift the night before you got married? At your dinner. At the dinner. At what dinner? Wasn't it Rob that gave you the ball and chain? No.
Oh, I thought it was. I didn't get to go to the dinner. You guys had a dinner? Yeah, we weren't invited to the dinner. Wait. Oh, that was for the wedding party. Way to go, Mike. Eddie, remember that dinner that you had that was like four star and everybody got a gift when they walked in the door? It was like everybody got a big box. It was awesome. This is dinner? Don't talk about that. What kind of, what did you have? Oh, never mind. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah, this is P1. Definitely whipped. Aww. So defeated. So did that list apply to you? Oh, yeah, definitely. Which one applied the most? I would definitely say the planning thing. I'll have the next couple weeks open, and then soon to find out, I have way more plans. I'm like, what the heck? When did we decide to do this? And then all this stuff starts opening up. I'm like, okay, I guess I'm not hanging out with any friends.
I don't know about the friends one. I mean, she has a few friends. She's tried to, like, you know, it was her girlfriend's friend or boyfriend. And she wants you to get to know him. And he's such a great guy. I love him. He's so cool. I set up a golf trip for you guys. Or you get, oh, my gosh. Like, you guys would get along so good. Overselling. The overselling of how great the guy. He's so funny. He reminds me of you so much. You guys both like Lost. You guys like breathing. You know how every once in a while you pass gas? He does too. Thank you. Mikey Show. Hey, what's up? I just wanted to let you know, if you Google World of Wifecraft, it's like real weight. It's the perfect real weight for wife whipping. That's funny. World of Wifecraft? That is hysterical. Oh, man. Mikey Show.
Hello? Yes. Hey, is this B-Rod? It's Mikey. Oh, hey, Mikey. This is P1Nubs. I wanted to talk about a buddy's perspective on it. You are on the air. Ooh, I likey. And talk. Hello? This is P1Nubs. Oh, you just said all that on the radio. I was in on you. Nubs, go ahead, bro. Oh, okay. Hey, what's up? I'm looking at it from a buddy's perspective, and my buddy Nick is pretty whipped himself. His girl was a real big meanie when they first started going out. And what's she like now? Well, she's a lot better now, but ever since then, I've gotten to appreciate her more because if I ever wanted to see my best friend, I got to see her. So she's not such a meanie anymore. Well, somewhat, but I put up with her.
So if you want to see him, if you want to see him, she comes with a deal. Yeah, pretty much. Why? I don't know. It's just like the way she was raised, it was just so weird. Like how the way she is now is a lot different from when I first met her. I'm not getting much from him. I don't understand. I'm trying. He's difficult. You're being difficult. You're being a meanie. You're being a meanie. When they first started going out, she was, like, really hard to get along with. What was she like? What was she like? She was, like, really mean, always talking badly to all of the friends. She's meany, Rob. Bad-mouthing everyone. Oh, that's mean. All right, all right. Well, listen, I think that you should try to have a little alone time with the friend. What would happen if you did? Yeah, one-on-one date. Well, I definitely tried that. I've talked to him, and, like, I've tried getting through to him, and, of course, he's like, yeah, sure, no problem. I'm going to change, but I never see any change out of him. He's a lot different now. Maybe you're gay. Oh, come on, Rob. Why would you say that? He wants to hang out with his friend. He wants to have a little guy time, and the girlfriend's got to be there all the time. That's got to suck. Just listen to him, though. Offer him the first impression rose. Oh, yeah, it's a good rose to get. Bad idea.
I think that this could be an issue. 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. I am whipped and I love it. Good for you, Rob. Good for you, Rob. Fantastic. You stay out of trouble. 35253 is the text number. Sounds like a Yankee fan. Oh, yeah. Oh, whatever, dude. I am whipped and I love it. What's that, Rob? I am whipped and I love it. I thought that you were giving Eddie a hard time when he was going to get married. I am whipped and I love him. It's Mikey. The Mikey Show is on. Honey, I'm back. Hi, baby. Who was all here drinking beer while I was at my mom? Nobody was here drinking beer. Oh, come on. Tell the truth. I saw the beer cans in the trash out front. Beer cans? Where? Show me. What do you call these?
Those are cans of Tecate Light. That's not beer. That's cerveza. Oh, come on. Beer, cerveza. It's the same thing. No, no, no. Beer and cerveza is not the same thing. Of course it is. Is it the same thing if I say te quiero or I love you? No, it's not the same. You see, just like amar, querer is not the same. Beer and cerveza is not the same either. I know what you mean. Sorry, honey. I love you. Te quiero. Tecate Light, Mexico's number one cerveza light. It's not beer, it's cerveza. Enjoy Tecate Light responsibly 2007. Cervezas Mexicanas, White Plains, New York. Welcome to another Cable Fable Story Minute brought to you by AT&T.

And then he up and skedaddled with that riding mower still running. What in tarnation is Code Blue? And who is going to replace my begonias? I was out golfing with my future son-in-law when he gets a text message that says, Code Blue. And he swims across a water hazard and runs off the course. I don't know what this Code Blue is, but it better be good enough for my little girl.
Code Blue? Oh, yeah. All of us bartenders know about Code Blue. It usually happens around happy hour when a guy orders a Coors Light in a cold-activated bottle. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Now we're seeing a better looking ride on most of our freeways. However, there is a couple of tough spots out here. North 805, still kind of backed up out of Kearney Mesa, heading up over the 52. And now there's a new crash involving a big rig here in the slow lane just before, just past rather, Nobel Drive. Keeping it very slow here into the Golden Triangle. Also, South Bands out of the 5 has a new crash near Lucadia Boulevard. And that's got you on the break still out of La Costa, past the crash all the way to Solana Beach. South 15 looking pretty nice. Maybe a brief delay in Rancho Bernardo in that construction zone. And really, that's about it. The rest of our freeways are shaping up looking outstanding for you. Dan Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Well, summer is almost here, everybody. What would you say, Seth? I would definitely pick the worst player on the best team. It's kind of like now with the show. The show continues. Rock 105.3. Motions are right.
It is 9-15. The Del Mar City Council voted unanimously last night to ban booze at their beaches and parks for the summer. NBA playoffs last night saw San Antonio eliminate New Orleans in Game 7. Are going to take on the Lakers next. This guy just saw the weirdest story on CNN.com about this dude in Phoenix. Oh, man, that's brutal. That got attacked by bees. No. Yeah, a swarm of bees while he was hiking. And then, you know, you can imagine what happens. I have a fear of that. A bee's attack. You run around like a crazy person. You're trying to get them off. And it gets them mad. Right. What are you supposed to do? You're ripping your clothes off. They say in that situation, they say reason with them. Stop, drop, and roll. They say you're supposed to scream. Buy them iced tea. Yes, sweet tea. And so he was hiking in kind of a cavernous area. What does that mean, cavernous?
Quickly, Sky Tower. That means that there's caverns in the area. Okay, there are no caverns in Pacific Beach. She's got a driver's license. I know it. Keep on going. Okay, so he's freaking out, running around, flailing his arms, ripping his clothes off. And during all that, ends up falling. He took his clothes off? Well, taken like, you know, you're covered in bees. What's that going to do? Clothes? What are those? Clothes? Gives your skin exposure to more stingage. Anyways. Well, they say he was waving his shirt. Maybe he was like Sean and he wears the double shirt. I'm not quite sure. You know what? You're a big jerk. If he had been wearing the double shirt, it may have saved his life. So while he's running around like a madman trying to get the bees off him, he accidentally falls 200 feet down into a ravine. Oh, come on. Yeah. And survived. My God. He broke all the bones, they say. Wait, he was all.
broken bones because he ended up landing on a cactus. No, he didn't. 200 feet down, lands on a cactus. No, he did not. I mean, give me a break. No, he did not. They must have had the worst luck in the world. We finally found somebody with worse luck than Boston Rock. I know, right? I never thought this would be possible. Dude, my brother lives in Phoenix and he said it's been hot out there. So can you imagine like you're covered in bees getting stung? You're in cactus, your bones are broken, and it's 100 degrees outside. Well, no, they said on Monday when this happened yesterday, 110 degrees. No, it was not. 110 degrees, Mike. That's crazy. They say it's a dry heat, though, so that's not that bad. It's like an oven. That's unreal. That's unreal. So that makes it good. Yeah. That's a crazy story. Mikey, my boyfriend told me he doesn't want or need guy time. Some guys don't. That's not healthy. It isn't. I don't have anybody time. Me personally. I don't have guy time. I don't have women. You need to have personal time.
At personal time, I'll go and work on the computer. And then you use your personal time for whatever you want. If you want to hang out with your boys, if you want to work on the computer, if you want to watch TV, everybody needs a little bit of that. Says he wants me to make the decisions all the time, and I didn't want to whip him out, but I'm getting pushed into the position. That's P1 Mariah. Mariah, you love it. Don't even cry. You made him like this. Excuse me while I whip this out. Oh, that made me even more mad. Would you like to do some of this? How do you like that? Eddie is doing the... What is that, Eddie? The mambo? Is that the mambo? Very good mambo. Oh, really? Let's see it. Oh, that's a nice cha-cha. There it is. There's the cha-cha. I don't know why he needs to make that. The cha-cha Gabor. I like it. Yeah, what a face. That is really interesting. 50. 50. Sexier. That's right. Oh, no. Oh, no. Does he drink coffee? Careful, yeah. Oh, no. Oh, there it is. It's going to be a bad. He's finishing up the frap right now. It's going to be bad. I love it. And a bow. And a bow. Thank you very much. Thank you.
570-1053 is our phone number. Call us right now if you would like to participate in P1 Trivia. The object. What's the object, Mike? Get the five points. Yeah? You get one, two, and three-point questions. Ones are easy. Threes are hard. Come on, ladies. What are the questions about? Mikey Show. That's it? That's it. Just the Mikey Show. That's it? Just the Mikey Show. The questions are all. I don't know anything else you want to talk about? Just about the Mikey Show. There's other stuff I want to talk about. Well, we can't. I don't know anything else you want to say. That's it? Just the Mikey show. That's it? That is it. These questions are real good. But you have to be a P1. I mean, a P1 is a Mikey show listener. They listen to the Mikey show exclusively. When a P1 calls into the show, what they do is they turn their radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss. You don't got to do anything to sign up? No.
Being a P1 is as easy as listening to the show all the time. But I don't have my P1 card. You don't need one. Oh, wow. You don't need one. There's no membership. All you need to do. Oh, that's weird, because I bought one the other day. You did? How much did you pay for that? Yeah, Rob said that it was 50 bucks to become a P1. Did he sell it to you out of that thing in his trunk? Yeah, he has that little thing. He's been doing that, and I've told him that he's going to get in trouble for that. It's a tackle box, like a fishing tackle box. It looked official. Is that why you've been wearing that lure on your... Is that what that is? Well, I thought that was the official P1 pin. No. That was an additional $25. That was an additional $25. Dang it. Take it again. Another person fell for it. No. 570-1053 is the phone number. I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. Hey, Rob, if you could, just for a second, talk to us about your relationship that you're in right now and tell us a little bit. I am whipped and I love it. Okay, fine. That is cute. That's all we wanted to know. And healthy. That is all we wanted to know. I mean, most guys don't admit that. Not really. I'm, like, proud of it. But you know what? If you think about it, if your girlfriend or fiance was Sarissa, wouldn't you admit to that? Absolutely. She is phenomenal. Yeah, she is. Eddie, what is she? She is the... Stunning.
I am whipped and I love it. No more of that. He's my friend. He's going to realize. What's up? That he did something he should not have done. Very much so. I am whipped and I love it. Forever. He won sight right now. He's going crazy. The kid's in love. What can you do? 570-1053 if you would like to play. P1 Trivia. Now, the winner of P1 Trivia gets to come into the studio on Friday to hang out with us. The whole show long. It's going to be fun on Friday. Fun day Friday. Yeah, well, Ashley is the only person that calls it that. I am not. Nobody else. Who else calls it that? I've got a lot of P1s on me, Mommy. All right, well. I do. Well, on Friday. Her neck hurts. I know it. So bad. Ash. What? Skye, can you explain to her? She didn't do anything serious. She was taking a shower. You're telling me. You can injure your neck doing a lot of things that you wouldn't face. She was loofah-ing. Skye knows. I know. I had a neck injury this weekend. I didn't expect it. Hers was different from the shower. But still, it can happen. But it can happen. You know what, Mike? When you're showering for two, things happen.
And then it's tough to look over your shoulder, try driving and finding your blind spot. What is it? She was driving and trying to find her blind spot. Sky? Oh, no, no, no. No, I'm just saying that once you get the neck injury. How did you hurt your neck? Sky, tell him it's great. I love it. It's great. Were you making love? Ew. Yeah. I refer to it as romance. You hurt your neck. Making romance. Where the magic happens. There's romance involved. Sometimes you sustain injuries. And what, a rope? Well, Mike, we're into some different stuff. I guess. Lady hurt her neck. Freak leak. Yeah. So you can, I mean, you can hurt it. And it hurts. It's painful. You're on the radio, dude. What? I'm a woman in love. I'm a married woman in love. Married people are allowed to make love in a stockade. Apparently.
Nothing freaky. It was just an accident. That's insane. That's the whole thing. It is just an accident. You have a lot of lovemaking accidents. You do. Over the years. Over the years, there have been lovemaking accidents. Epsom salt. Things happen over time. They have a healthy relationship. We've been together for a long time. And so you're saying that every. Things happen. You've been with somebody for over 10 years. Exficiation. I mean, come on. No, that's never happened. Why don't you be careful? That's a crazy idea. Why don't you use a bed? I wasn't trying to hurt my neck. Why don't you make love like adults? Overrated. Please. P1 Choco is on the line. Are you there? Hey, man, how are you? I'm all right. How are you? I'm good, dude. How old are you? I'm 30 years old. How long have you been listening to the show? Three years plus. Nice. Very nice. That means you're going to be good at this. I hope so. All right, Choco. What do you do, Choco? Well, I'm currently unemployed, but I just got out of the military. Am I saying your name right? P1 Choco. Choco, okay, cool. And your competitor's going to be P1 Corps, man. What's up, Mikey? What's going on, dude? Glad to be on Trivia. Been trying to do it for a while. That's right. Is your ride there, or what's going on? What am I hearing in the background? Are you in New York City? Yes. No, I'm not working, so I had to step outside to take the call. I see.
They're looking for you. Yes, they are. I don't know where Rob is. I already told him. That's true. Corman, how long have you been listening to The Mikey Show? Oh, gosh, about two and a half years. How old are you? I'm 34. Good matchup. Good matchup between these guys. All right, Choco, we'll start with you. The goal is to get to five points. You've got one, two, and three-point questions. What do you want? Give me a two, Mike. You got it. All these questions are based on The Mikey Show. They are all about The Mikey Show. Your two-point question is, Who on the show, excuse me, what facial feature did B-Rob recently discover he had? Ooh, that's tough. Oh, facial feature. I'm going to go out on a limb because I don't know it. What? A cleft chin, maybe? That is correct. Wow, good guess. Very well done. Did Ashley IM you? Yeah. It was. It was a club chin. Okay, P1 Corman. Yes. One, two, or three-point question. Let's go to test the choke factor. You got it. What type of food do the guys on the show say Ashley's cooking resembles? What type of food do the guys on the show say that Ashley's food resembles? God, what type of food? Think about it. Think about it.
One thing that's popping in my head is cake-ies right now. They're cookies. Is that your final answer? Oh, cake-ies. Nope, that's incorrect. No, we always give her a hard time and say that her cooking resembles cat food. They say I eat like a feral cat. That's right. Yep. Which is ridiculous. She does eat like a feral cat. I know, I know. Don't do this. Called eating healthy. I'm sorry. She'll take tuna out of a can and fry it in a nonstick skillet. Keeping it organic and low carb. Thank you. Keeping it gross. All right, P1 Choco. All right, I'll try another two, Mike. You got it. Love it. No, I don't. What P1 is named after a former contestant on American Idol? P1 Sanjaya. That is correct. Wow. Looks like Choco's killing it, right? Yeah, he's kicking my butt. He's got four points. All right. Corman, you know what to do. Corman, you know what you got to do, man. Yeah, give me a fee, Mike. You got it. Temperify. Your three-point question is, who on the show worked with me in Texas? Oh, Eddie. Anybody else? Oh, Sky Alto. Nope, just Eddie.
But that's not fair. That's not fair. He gets the point. He gets the point. He gets the point. I was just asking. I'm educating and asking. That's all. Thank you. Objection. You got three points. I could say Woods and Bowman, too. That is true. That's right. If you say it, dude, you better say it with some pride, all right? We're talking about your boys. How do you think you got that BMW, dude? That's right, dude. Mikey's blood. I'll tell you how you did it, dude. You go to the University of Texas and you become a Longhorn. Hook him, okay, bro? Dude, I went to Holy Cross, all right? Yeah, I know you did, bro. It's still a great school. It's a great school. You know what, dude? Great academics there. Hey, don't sell it short. It's fantastic, okay? It's a great school, bro. Great teachers, great professors, and you want to know something? You're talking down to me. No, I'm not, dude. I'm telling you, you're a smart guy. You're one of the smartest guys I know. I'm not placating you. You are placating him. I'm not placating you, brother. You're an intelligent man. You won Choco. Give me a one for the win, Mike. One point question for the win. Your one point question is, who took Eddie's place in the go-kart race against B-Rob? You did, Mike. That is correct. Wow. I'm not really sure what Queen's Week means. I just meant he got all his right.
P1 Choco. Very well done, dude. I'm going to let you both come in. Hey, Corman, you did well, man. You did well. You answered a bunch of those questions correctly. Who could ask for anything more? That's awesome. I'd love to come in there. I'm actually on leave Friday. There you go. Hang on the line. Tito Ortiz coming up on the Mikey Show. Don't go away. On the rock. The number one cerveza light in Mexico is now available here in the United States. To ensure that Tecate Light remains true to its Mexican cerveza roots, we will not refer to Tecate Light as light b****. We feel its Mexican flavor and attitude are much too bold to be referred to as an ordinary light b****. In fact, to our censors, b**** is a four-letter word. They didn't even allow b**** to be mentioned in the same commercial as Tecate Light. Not even to explain the difference between b***h and cerveza. So as you can hear, all references to b***h have been censored for your protection in order to avoid any unintended association between light b***h and tecate light cerveza. That's still backing up traffic here out of La Costa on the approach here that continues over to the Batacitas Lagoon all the way down into Solana Beach right now. Also, watch out for Caltrans crews once again working the left-hand lanes here in Mission Bay, just past the 52. A lot of brake lights around that, so slow for the cone zone for those guys. Also, south on the 15, looking pretty good down the stretch. We've got north 805, a little bit slow here up towards Nobel Drive. A disabled big rig partly in the slow lane here just past Nobel, causing the slowdown there. The rest of our freeways are up to speed, looking pretty nice right now.
now. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Hey, check this out. Got this email. Mikey, I have felt like a part-time P1 until yesterday. I went to sleep train so that I could have a reference to compare used mattresses on Craigslist. I took my three-year-old in there, which is typically a bad idea because she doesn't have the ability to self-calm herself yet. I digress. But my point is that They made it so easy to figure out which mattress I wanted that I ended up buying one at Sleep Train. I really wanted the Beautyrest World Class Paris Plush, but it was out of my budget, which is why I felt I needed to buy a used one. The sales associate knocked off $1,213 and offered to deliver it today. We got this email. B-Rob, when we get this.
A couple days ago? Yeah, two days ago. Two days ago. That's awesome. Yeah, man. My wife, who is one month pregnant with our second child, will be pleasantly surprised tonight when she sleeps on our new Paris Plush. She really deserves a good mattress to sleep on, and I can't wait to sleep on it with her. Signed, P1 Norfus. You want that to be your story? Sleep trains are everywhere. Check one out today. It's a Mikey show at 937. Today is the Democratic primaries in both Oregon and Kentucky. Kasim Osgood is a no-show for the Chargers OCS. What's the name of this song? This is called Loving This Club. I should do a parody to this called Drunk in the Pub. Oh, that's good. I don't know. I don't know, though. How soon can you have it? I don't know. Just off the top of the dome, a couple days. I don't really know this song. It's not well known. Let me hear it and we'll see what it sounds like. That sounds like a great idea. Let me hear it and we'll see what it sounds like. It sounds creative and funny and original. I like it. You should write it. I like it. Get on it. It's a very popular song. People love it. It is? It's called Loving This Club. It's by Usher. You're not going to get to me. It's by Usher. You can do this all morning. You're not going to get to me. You're not going to get under my skin.
I don't know any of this. What is she talking about? You all know what you're doing right now. I don't know any of this. You know what you're doing right now. Is there a problem? I don't know, but I'll tell you what. Hey, Rob, you should make a parody song to it, Rob. Why is she making that sound with your mouth? Oh, what a great idea, because your song is so popular. You should make a parody to it, Rob. That's an invitation to you, Mike. I don't see what you're doing. It's not. It's pen in the nose, girl. No, that is Mike. It's pen in the nose, girl. But that was you. She repeated things she said. Give me a break. I don't know what you're doing. I don't think I do either. I'm a stupid. Rob, can you have that by Thursday? That's great. Man, I bet Rob's going to sound good when he does that sucker. I'll tell you what. That'll be a nonstop. Yeah, and if you guys want to hear another funny version of my version, maybe you can check my MySpace page sometime soon. I'll let you know. That should be awesome. Great.
Are you making a version? Two can play this game, okay? No, it'll be great. One will be on the radio and the other one will be on MySpace. There's also this website called YouTube. She could probably put it on there. Yeah, I'll put it on YouTube, too. All the fun places on the World Wide Web. Yeah, TubeIt. TubeIt. I'll buffer that right up and put it on the dot com. FaceTubeIt. You guys want to hear Diddy's son Quincy rapping? I'm sorry? I would love to. Oh, goodness. From the TV show... My super sweet 16. Really? What? This is a recording of Quincy's 16th birthday. It's Diddy's son, Quincy. And let's take a listen to it. A boy? Yes. Cut 16. I want to record a record to hand out at my party. So to help me record my record, I had to get one of the hottest records. Put your input in the record. You know what I'm saying? I love it. It's way too easy. Stunt like my pop. All right, but. Put a little bit of unfinished. You got more swagger than you realize. Just do it cool. All right, we do it. Let's go. Stunt like my pop. Oh, no, this ain't wheezy. Leave your girl in awe. Leave your girl in awe. Leave your girl in awe. Leave your girl in awe. Leave your girl in awe. That was it.
Okay, thank you. That does not... He doesn't sound as good as his dad. It's clear that some talents just aren't genetic. They are not at all. That was Diddy's son, Quincy. No, thank you. on the inside line right now. He is a UFC fighter. He has a new book out. He's the author of a new book called This Is Gonna Hurt. The Life of a Mixed Martial Arts Champion. Tito Ortiz is on the line. Tito. Hi, G, the gang. How you guys doing? We're doing good, man. How are you? Really good, really good. Good, man. It's Tito Ortiz, and he is going to be fighting this weekend. Holy cow. UFC 84, and it's Tuesday. Do the nerves start jumping by Tuesday, or is it like Friday that they start getting up there? Actually, my nerves were jumping about a month ago. Wow. My nerves are pretty much gone now, so now it's just in cruise control. I know what I need to do. I know the hard work I put in. I've been up here in Big Bear, California for the last nine weeks. It's been grueling. It's been a hard training camp.
I'm mentally focused, physically focused, and now I'm ready to take on Machida this weekend. UFC 84 on May 24th, live on pay-per-view. How do you pronounce the first name? Liotta or Liotto? Liotto Machida. Lolita, Lolota. Lolita. Lolita. People forget about who he was. Now, I don't know a lot about him. I know he's undefeated. Yep, he has a karate background with jiu-jitsu background. He's beating some pretty good guys, though, you know. So it's just not an easy task for me to beat this kid. But, you know, UFC put me against him thinking that I would lose and, you know, they would get rid of me without me making any damage. But, you know, the damage is going to be on Luida's face. And I'm excited, man. I'm really excited. I can't wait. Tito, nobody's listening right now. So what is the strategy? What will your strategy be in this fight? I think the strategy is just to push the tempo, man.
to fight to them. Every one of my fights, I always try to push the tempo. I'm not a guy to sit back and try to win by points. I'm a guy to go in there and try to hurt somebody. Punish my opponents, as I always do. That's the strategy, is just to punish them. Tito, what's up with the little diss on the UFC? What's going on? It's not a diss on the UFC, man. It's a diss strictly towards Dana White. Man, you hate him. He's a guy who just says a lot of trash about me. I'm a smart businessman. Not just a fighter, but a businessman. who sees the revenue that they intake and doesn't give nothing back to the fighters. They give a little bit. They give the crumbs to the fighters and they keep the cake. Now, Tito, he is your current employer. He is your current boss. He'll be my past employer. So you're done. I'm done with the UFC. I'm moving on. I'm going to fight for somebody else. I'm going to make a new company. I'm going to do something bigger and better that takes care of the fighters and not really use those fighters as pure commodities.
You know, we could be thrown to the curb. And that's what they try to do. And they've done it to Randy Couture. They've done it to Tim Sylvia. They've done it to Andre Oloski. And now they're going to do it to Tito Ortiz. And, you know, I'm going to step up. I'm going to fight for what I believe. Tito, Tito, this is a absolutely incredible statement that you're making because, I mean, first of all, people that aren't listening, you know, just to pull the curtain back a little bit, these interviews are set up by the UFC with Eddie. These interviews are set up by the UFC. This is strictly my point. Wow. Wow. Wow. in better places. Tito, what was the breaking point between you and the UFC? You know, I think the breaking point was last year there was a thing on Spike Television, Bad Blood, T.O.R.D.s versus Dana White, and they painted a bad picture on me. It was a one-sided story all about Dana. Dana wants to be a superstar, and he is one now. Thank God he has billions of dollars behind him with the Fertittas that are making him that superstar.
You know, he's living off my limelight. And from that point out on, he said a lot of bad things about me. And I take it personally. And the disrespect there is more than ever. And, you know, I'm willing to move on. I'm willing to go to bigger and better things and show that, you know, the champion that I am and go to a different company and continue on my career and push a company and make it as big as the UFC. And that's my goal. Tito, are you going to start your own company or go to work for a company that already exists? There's a possibility of both. I've got to make sure I weigh my options out and go with the right decision. The best business decision that I make for my future will be shown, though, of course, and it'll be known. I'm not sure just yet. I know personally I know 100% what I'm going to do, but I can't really say it because of negotiation reasons and my contract. I get to be a man of my word and finish my contract out and then go on after that. Have you made? These things that you're saying right now about the UFC and about Dana White in particular, are these new things that you've said, like you've said, that you are leaving the UFC? Have you made that announcement formally? Yes, I have. This pretty much has been the news for this whole year, I think. It's just gotten worse and worse and worse, and Dana's been bashing me more and more and more. And it's just kind of funny because he's got a lot of limelight by bashing me. What happens when I leave?
When I'm gone, when I'm somewhere else, he can't bash on me. All of a sudden, will he be a quiet mouth that can't say much, or will he be on the ultimate fighter cussing and rambling like he always does? Eddie, I have two questions. Number one, what happens if Dana leaves the UFC? Would you be willing to come back? And two, are you going to fight for pro elite? Well, number one, as long as Dana White is president of the UFC, I will not fight for that company. If he does leave, there may be a chance of that happening. Me fighting for LeadXC, that's a huge possibility. Just because it's on CBS, and I heard Gary Shaw say a lot of great things about me, and I really think respect value is the biggest thing here. The key word is respect. It's not about the money, man. I am fighting to make sure that the fighters do make more money, but to me, it's about respect. It's about seeing the champion that I am in the octagon that I've been fighting for 11 years. I've been fighting longer than any UFC fighter in the history of UFC has been fighting.
And I'm still young. I'm only 33 years old, and I still see a great value to me. And Dana White doesn't see that because he has hard feelings. He's very personal on things, and he takes things very personal. And, you know, I'm just willing to succeed and go elsewhere and continue my career because my fans are going to follow me no matter what because I have the greatest fans in the world. We're talking to Tito Ortiz. He is a UFC fighter at the moment, author of a new book called This is Going to Hurt the Life. of a mixed martial arts champion. Tito, when is the last time that you and Dana actually sat down together and tried to be civil with one another? Probably about a year and a half ago. So since then, you haven't even sat down together? Not even sit down. He had one call about three months ago kind of begging me to stay. And, you know, I said, you know, I'm done, man. You just, you crushed that bridge. Tito, is there anything at this point that Dana could call and say to make it better? Right. Yeah, you know, Tito was on Celebrity Apprentice. Yeah, he was. How was that experience? Really cool.
It was something that, you know, I raised awareness for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. We ended up raising like $70,000. And I think that was the biggest of all of it was raising awareness for St. Jude's. Helping with children is something that I've always wanted to do. Who was in that house with you that surprised you the most? I think the person that surprised me the most was I'd have to go with Pierce, you know. He's a very smart. intelligent man. He's very savvy. I learned a little bit from him. Some of the other guys. I met some good friends. Lennox Lewis is another good friend. And Trace was someone who was the dark horse. He was the guy who was very quiet, but he had a lot of great ideas that came about that we used. That and working with Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump, by the way. No one says Donald when they meet him. It's always Mr. Trump. You know, he's a very respectful person, and he respects me a lot, and I respect him a lot. He actually will be at my fight this weekend. He's actually coming out support.
Eddie, you have a question for Tito Ortiz? Yeah, Tito, you said a lot of big statements here today, and we appreciate that. But I think the question on everybody's mind is, do you still feel bad for not putting me and Mikey on the guest list? Eddie, nobody remembers that. Nobody remembers that. Eddie, that was three years ago. Three. He doesn't remember. It doesn't matter anymore. He said he was going to put us on the guest list. Nobody cares. I showed up and I wasn't on the guest list. It's okay. You actually probably showed up there a little early because when I got there, it was a little later. No, no, no. Tito, what's your opinion of Kimbo Slice? My opinion of Kimbo Slice, I think he's a young fighter. Not young in age, but young in his fight career. He's learning. He's learning other stuff. I had a few things to say about him. Last year, I thought he was just a street fighting guy who didn't have any chance in this. He's going out and he's learning the ropes. He's becoming a professional athlete of doing the kickbox of the wrestling, the jiu-jitsu, and he's taking it very, very seriously. I mean, he's a guy who came from the streets, and now he's succeeding at something he's good at, and that's fighting. And I was the same way, too, but, I mean, I was 22 years old and not at his age, at 30 years old, so he's a few steps behind.
But at the same time, you know, he's doing the hard work. And I got to give him a little respect because he's not a guy who's getting off the bar stool and saying, oh, I'm going to kick people's butts. And that's all I do is the way I fight. He's actually taking it very personal of knowing that, you know, I got time to learn. I'm still young and I'm still going to compete. And I'm going to do these other things to become a true athlete. And I think that's where I started learning respect for him because he's a well-spoken man. Tito's book is called This Is Going to Hurt. It's the life of a mixed martial arts champion. And it's available anywhere you can get books. And Tito, in the book, it kind of chronicles your entire, your early life a lot. Do you go into any of this stuff about Dana? Do you go into any of your stuff about your personal love life? You know, Tito dates Jenna Jameson. Do you go into any of this? Yes, of course. You know, it has a little bit about fighting, but mostly it's about my life. of the trials and tribulations that I lived through to get where I am today. You know, I've really, you know, I've seen a lot at a young age. I lived through a lot. But, you know, it has a lot to do with how I got where I am today. You know, people want to know the real Tito Ortiz. You'll pick this book up. It's a very inspirational book, you know, of being a young punk kid, you know, with drug addict parents who did drugs and, you know.
lived through that at a very young age and then got into wrestling in high school and got into college and getting educated and wanting to be a high school teacher. And then all of a sudden, you know, falling into this fight game of being an icon in a sport. It's one of the biggest sports alive right now. And, you know, it's a very inspirational book, like I say. There could have been three choices. Either I would have been dead, I would have been in prison, or I'm going to be where I am right now. And I think where I am right now, I made the right turn. Yeah. Tito Ortiz, thank you for taking the time, man. We appreciate it. Without a doubt. I want to thank everybody in San Diego for your support. And, of course, I'll be having my book tour in June. So you can check your local listings and come down and get a book and get an autograph and take a picture with me. All right, Tito. Thanks a lot, man. We appreciate it. All right. Thank you. We'll see you. It's Tito Ortiz. He didn't put us on the list. Eddie. Let it go, bro. Maybe he did. Maybe he said. No, no, no. But he said that maybe he came later and he put your name on it. I was like there at midnight. Nah, dude. He didn't put. He didn't put us on the list. What about if you left and then moments later he goes, oh, I forgot. He did put us on the list. And if you had only gone back a little bit later. I saw the list. I saw the list. We weren't on it. But the list was early. No. It wasn't. List is life. That's true. May have been early. Tito's book is available in stores now. And UFC 84 is on Saturday. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. And Tito Ortiz. It's the last fight there. It's the last fight in UFC.
A lot of big talk with that guy. For real, right? I mean, he's just saying what he feels. You know what I mean? As long as saying what you feel. Not at all. That's why I play Pork and Beans. Times get rough, dude. Pork and Beans. For real, right? That or text us at 35253. It's up to you. A lot of animal poop today at the Wild Animal Park and the San Diego Zoo. I figured I would start incorporating random facts throughout the Mikey show. That's a factual statement. A lot of animal dung. What? Wild Animal Park and the zoo. A lot of salt water at SeaWorld today. It's not something to get. It's a fact. Sky gets it. You can tell, right, Sky? I don't get it. What do you mean you don't? I'm stating the obvious, actually. I'm stating facts. These are factual facts. At some point, Tuesday, May the 20th, 2008, you will hear Upstairs.
Oh, my gosh, me too. At some point, you'll hear that. Is that a fact or what? From our boss, Sean Murray Brown. That's right. Love her. When we come back, I'm going to tell you who Lance Armstrong's dating now. Oh, wow. I'm not kidding, dude. He's dating somebody in A-list. This is Budweiser. This is the authentic American lager. This is a recipe used for over 130 years. And... The freshest beer in the store. This is hand-selected barley malt from the golden fields of the Great Plains. It's a precise blend of two-row and six-row barley for the perfect balance of flavor and refreshment. This is the choicest hops grown in the Willamette Valley in Washington and Oregon and Bonner's Ferry in Idaho. Hops chosen for their aroma, flavor, and character and hand-blended into each brew kettle.
This is every batch Beechwood aged for three weeks to produce a one-of-a-kind smoothness. This is Budweiser. This is the Great American Logger. Anheuser-Busch, St. Louis, Missouri. I have two things to say, Skye. What? What are they? Number one, I like you. Oh, well, thank you. Number two, I like your sunglasses. Oh, well, thank you. I do get a lot of compliments on my sunglasses. You know where I got them? Where? Sunglass and optical warehouse. Well, duh. That's the only place. I mean, if you want a pair of sunglasses, there's only one place in San Diego you can go. That is Sunglass and optical warehouse. And they were way cool. They helped me pick them out because I'm not too hip on the whole fashion thing. Completely true.
Well, you didn't need to go. I'm helping you. I'm helping you. Keep rolling. Keep rolling. That's an insult. That's an insult. Anyway, so I went in there and I was like, hey. You're a nerd. Go ahead. Stroganoff. About two hours of Ashley talking to herself. That's awesome. Ashley is the world breathing champion in 1997? Yeah. Six. Oh, six. Mikey Show. Hey, I wanted to see if there's a commercial that you guys play where the guy talks about having a 48-year-old P1. Yep, we do. It's actually voiced by Forrest Whitaker. Wow. You're lucky to get him.
