Sean walked out of P.F. Chang's after objecting to a nearby baby, while Mikey, Skye, and Eddie argued that he had manufactured a crisis in a crowded holiday-weekend restaurant. P1 Lacey revealed that hiding a brief teenage marriage cost her an engagement, and the cast split over whether honesty came too late, whether forgiveness was owed, and whether her fiancé's two-week disappearance was defensible. The show also confronted grim and controversial news involving a Scripps Ranch mother's death, Sharon Stone's earthquake-karma remark, Bill and Hillary Clinton's campaign claims, and a self-reporting drunk driver. Boston Rob's "In the Pub" parody, Dr. Wayne's kitchen-island massage offer, and heated movie ratings supplied the broad comedy. In the closing call, Xtina told Travis and the hosts that he had dropped her for another woman and returned after being dumped, leading the panel to warn her not to accept being his backup choice.
What happened, in order
The P.F. Chang's Baby
Sean demanded another table because a baby was seated too close to him at P.F. Chang's, then left without eating while Mikey and the crew mocked his holiday-weekend restaurant tantrum.
Scripps Ranch Family Tragedy
Skye reported that a 14-year-old girl was suspected of fatally striking her mother with a hammer while the girl's father and sister slept in the house.
Sharon Stone's Karma Claim
The hosts condemned Sharon Stone for wondering whether China's deadly earthquake was karmic punishment for its treatment of Tibet and the Dalai Lama.
The Clinton Conspiracy Call
Sean defended Bill Clinton's claim that evidence favoring Hillary Clinton was being suppressed, while caller Barbara declared herself a conspiracy veteran, slurred, and apparently fell asleep on the line.
Lacey's Secret Marriage
P1 Lacey said her fiancé ended their engagement after learning she had hidden a six-month marriage from age 18, prompting a long argument over honesty, forgiveness, and whether his two-week silence was justified.
Dr. Wayne's Kitchen Massage
Dr. Wayne offered to treat Zeth's injured back with deep-tissue massage on a sheet-covered kitchen island while playing Yanni and Björk, alarming everyone with both the setup and his offer to pick Zeth up.
Drunk in the Pub
Boston Rob debuted his Usher parody "In the Pub," and Ashley angrily reminded the group that they had ignored her identical idea for a month before asking her to record a competing version.
The Five-Star Movie Fight
The cast's movie ratings spiraled into arguments over Titanic, The Matrix, Willy Wonka, and Kill Bill, with Mikey nearly throwing a tantrum when Skye admitted she had never seen Kill Bill.
The Same Shark Theory
After two surfers were attacked near Acapulco on consecutive days, Mikey and Eddie insisted one roaming shark was responsible while Skye repeatedly explained that the ocean contains more than one shark.
Drunk Driver Calls Himself In
The show played a 911 call from a Seattle-area drunk driver who reported himself, feared getting in trouble if he pulled over, and ultimately said guilt made him call before he hurt someone.
Travis and Xtina Live
Travis used the show to profess his feelings for Xtina, but a live call exposed that he had ignored her for another woman and returned only after that woman dumped him, so the hosts told Xtina to run.

Welcome to the show. It is not Monday. That changed things. Are we good? Yeah, we're good. Is that all right now? Yep. Thank you. It's all good. It's Tuesday. It's not Monday. Even though it feels like Monday. It's 6-0-6. A Scripps ranch mom died yesterday after she was hit in the head with a blunt object, allegedly by her 14-year-old daughter. Padres had the day off yesterday, going to start a series with the Nationals tonight, see if they recovered from their 18-inning game on Sunday. Came in this morning and looked at this. We have just globlets and globlets of audio. We have a gratio audio to play this morning. It's all good. Plethora. There's a plethora. That's right. There's gnotions of it that we have to get to. Massive quantities. Thank you. Why don't we start her off? Let's get this thing fired up like a T-bird.
Yeah, yeah. Let's do it. We'll do an introduction. We introduce everybody, and then we'll just go straight to the phones, and then what up? And we say what up. I like it. That's right. I'm Mikey, and I like Starbucks coffee. I think it tastes good. It's nothing like my parents' coffee, which is just, this is my parents' coffee. It's boiled water. Don't say it, Mike. It's really, really hot water, and then it's like they took a couple of coffee grounds and put them in a teabag and just gently dipped it twice. That's not very strong. It's gross. Sky, it's disgusting. Just have a little bit. Maybe it's different now. Maybe you prefer it like that. No. Who knows? Try a little sugar. No.
My wife, about every six months, at least two times a year, my wife thinks to herself, maybe it's different this time. And she tries a cup. She goes, hmm, okay, well, thank you. Thank you. I am Mike, but I go by Mikey on the radio. And I'm 37, and I have a shaved head. And that is the best way to describe me. And you got a birthday. What's up, Mike? Oh, my gosh. I'm going to officially be in my late 30s. Oh, my gosh, Mike. I'm looking good, bro. Yeah, you're looking good. That's sexy. That's right. What's up? Eddie is our producer, our sports guy. He is 35 years of age. 35, Eddie. Can you believe that? Yeah, great. That's crazy. Well, dude, you used to be 20, remember? No, I don't. A long time ago. That's right.
Eddie went up to the Bay Area. How was the weather up there? I'm assuming it was the same as down here, very cloudy. It drizzled a little bit on Saturday. Could you smell smoke? When we first were driving in from the airport, I could smell smoke. You could. And then the rest of the weekend, I didn't smell it at all. That's such a trip, man. Is it still going on or is it contained? I didn't hear a lot about it. It kind of was rainy and cloudy, so I think that really helped me. Yeah, it's like 75% contained, something like that. Did you eat good food? Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it was, we went out to dinner quite a bit. Oh, you did? My dad only cooked like once. I would force him. What was it the one time? He made ribs and pesto and a couple other things. Yeah, that sounds pretty good. Yeah, it was not bad. Did you do any golfing? Golf both days, Saturday and Sunday. Wow. So for one day, I was having some stomach issues. What? On the course? Bad timing. To visit some course bathrooms. Oh, that is awkward. Oh, that is awkward. The most clean. Oh, gross. Sorry, Eddie. Gross. I didn't enjoy that very much. Are you okay? No.
Was it like the awkward, hey guys, can you excuse me for a moment? Well, luckily that was just me and my dad. And it was on Sunday and it was really bad weather. So the course was virtually empty. It was like just me and my dad. And so we had caught up to a group and I said, well, since we're waiting, I'm going to go use the bathroom real quick. And so I went and that put a gap between us again. And then when we caught up to again, Mike, dad, real quick. Yeah, let me just. I'll be real quick. I just got over here. I'll just excuse myself. Other than that, though. Hey, you know, hit some good shots and some bad shots, Mike. How'd you do? How'd you do? I hit some good shots. I hit some bad shots. How was your drive? How was your drive? I drove. The ball great on Saturday and awful on Sunday. What's the difference? So how'd you do? How did the day? Do you have a number? Do they give you a number? What's the deal? I don't know how it works. Number four. My instinct is to go, so did you win? You know what I mean? Like, I don't know. I don't know about golf. You shut him out or what? What did you shoot? What did you shoot, Eddie? What was your percentile ranking? What was your pass-ah?
Four. A four? Yeah. Eddie shot a four. Yeah, it was really good. He shot a four under par. I wish. Oh, man. Give him anything. Skye is our news girl. Hi. She's 30. Hi. What did you do, you crazy? We watched quite a few movies over the weekend, the holiday weekend. You and The Hub. The Boo. The Boo. Good movies or bad movies? Um. Uh-oh. You know what that means. Um. You know what um means, Eddie? You know what that translates into? I mean, of all the movies you haven't seen in your life, like why? No, why are you already lashing out? What did you see? She just gave him the Groucho Marx cigar with her pen, which means you wouldn't like these movies. Um, here are the movies as follows. Uh-oh. Please. We watch Strange Wilderness. No, you are ridiculous. You're not a stoner anymore. I think I need it to be to enjoy that. What's it called? Strange Wilderness. Starring who? It was in the theaters for like five minutes last year.
Oh, you didn't like it? It's like the super trooper. Is it like the guy that did Goat Boy? I felt differently. Since I am sober now, not so much. Jim Brewer. It's like Jim Brewer's brother. Phil. It's like Phil Brewer. Enjoy Mad Money. Oh, gosh, Skye. What is up? Katie Holmes. Why do you got to go and do that, Skye? Now, I could see the boo being in the first one, but then he had to watch Mad Money. Did he have to watch Mad Money with you? No, not at first, because basically he was going to watch the Giants game downstairs. I was going to watch it upstairs, but then his game got rained out, so he ended up watching it with me. Queen Latifah. Yeah, what up, Queenie? And then we enjoyed Rocky Balboa. What'd you think? You'd never seen him before? No. What'd you think? Did you see the other Rockies? No. Okay. I kind of thought it was good. I enjoyed the story. The husband was not a fan. How come? He thought there wasn't enough fighting. There was too much. Like, oh great, you own a restaurant. Oh great, you're helping people. Okay, good. You're old. Wonderful. We get it. So he wasn't a fan.
It's a story of Rocky, but it's like now, you know. He goes and does it one more time. And everybody really thinks that it was like kind of back to the old recipe and it was pretty good. And when I first saw it, I kind of liked it too. And now that I've gotten far away from it, I realized I hated it. Yeah. As I've gotten away from it, you know. When I first saw it, I thought it was good. You know what I didn't like, Sky? You tell me what you thought of this. Rebecca, I won't tell you what Rebecca said, but I didn't like the girl. It was kind of awkward. It was like, what's going on here? Is this cool? Is this creepy? What are we doing? It was that because Rocky, there's like a girl in the movie. Little Marie. Adrian's dead. Adrian's dead. And so there's a girl in the movie who he remembers when she was just a kid. Yeah, he calls her Little Marie through the whole thing. And so you kind of get the, like they kind of position her to be an inspiration to him and kind of like they become buddies. They do make it unclear whether or not he likes her, she's much younger, whether or not he likes her romantically. Well, that wasn't the part that was weird for me. The dumb part to it for me was, why do they have to have that girl? Like, you don't have to have the chick that he gets the...
To put the romantic spin on it. Even not the romantic, what I meant was more of like the, she provided the, you can do this, rock. Right. And I was like, ay, ay, ay. And then finally, I watched an excellent movie, Sunday night, HBO movie, Recount, which was infuriating, but an awesome movie, and I highly recommend everyone watch it. Awesome. It sounds political. It's all about the 2000 Florida presidential election. Get over it already. Ed Bagley. It's over. Kevin Spacey. Is it a real movie? What does that mean? Or is it like a doc? What is it? No, it's not a documentary, but it's a movie based on fact. Okay, gotcha. Yes, and shady. Like Star Wars. No. Sean is our sound effects man. And And the hair's getting a little long. He's getting the preacher hair again. He's starting to look like a TV evangelist. Got the Robert Tilton going. I actually have the Oral Roberts going. That is correct. Got the skunk lying there. Sean is 38 years old and caused a scene at P.F. Chang. Is this your new thing now?
You shouldn't be loud in public. I'm not doing a thing. Everyone's against me. You act a fool. Every place is terrible. I don't like to accept it. Can I tell you guys how he was disrespected? Please. Well, many people, I think, may have the take that Sean was treated just like any customer. He was sat. And there was a child that was sat next to him. Sean didn't like that. He felt he took this personally. He felt that they were doing this, you know, because they don't like him, I guess. I guess. Are children not allowed in restaurants now? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. But he did say this on the subject of the baby. He said that the baby was sat literally right next to him. It's really close, Mike. Like in the same table? Well, he says 12 inches closer, they'd be sharing a chair. That would have been in my lap. That's a lie. That sounds claustrophobic to me. It's not a lie. Like, was it at the same table? No, it wasn't at the same table. Well, then how is that possible? Okay. Well, wait. Listen, I'm going to read what he wrote because there are many inaccuracies as we go along. Yeah, get him, Dr. Holmes.
Right from the very beginning, he says, they sat us at the world's smallest table. I don't believe it's the world's smallest table. Do you know that for a fact? I believe if we measured the table, it would not be the world's smallest table. In fact, I bet it would be consistent with many tables. Yeah. In restaurants. Is that how it's going to go? No, I'm just saying that, you know, I bet this was a table. I think it's pretty obvious that it wasn't the world's smallest. Literally. I see, I see. Okay, now later you did use the word literally, and so I just want to make sure that we are clear on what the word literally means. There are parts that should be taken literally and parts that should be taken. Okay, now he was seated at a table that he believes was very small. Thank you. Okay, and when he sat there, he felt like they put a baby too close to him. Was that accurate, Shawnee? Let me put it to you this way, Mike. The distance from the baby to the table where the parents were was the same distance from the baby to my table. So, if someone were to walk by, they wouldn't have been able to tell who the parents were. Except that the baby was Asian. And it wouldn't have been mine. And at their table? No.
The baby was equidistant from both tables. I'm telling you, it was 12 inches away from me. Was the baby in a high chair? No, the baby was in a cradle. In fact, it was looking directly at my wife the whole time. Now he's eyeing your wife? Yes, eyeballing my wife the whole time. Oh, dude. When you say a cradle, do you mean like one of those little baby car seat deals? Yeah, what they do in this restaurant. Oh, wow. is they bring out this weird, like, hammock, right? Yes, I know what you're talking about. And they put the baby in the hammock. So the baby is, like, staring at you the whole time. It's not, like, upright in a car seat with the thing pulled down, you know, like, a little bit of privacy. No. So what's the problem? Well, the problem is I didn't want to go there and spend the money at this restaurant. You're shouting right now. Ain't there crummy food? It's not crummy food. It's delicious. Have you had the lettuce wraps? The lettuce wraps are great. I don't have a baby. I cannot take him seriously if he calls it crummy food. I don't want a baby. Edible cups of food. Eddie, lettuce with the stuff in it. I don't have a baby. My wife and I didn't make a baby. I don't want a baby at my table. When was this, Sean? It was yesterday. So, a holiday memorial. No, no, no. Day before yesterday. Sunday. Yes. Sunday night.
Does anybody in here think that they could go to P.F. Chang's on a holiday weekend and it not be slammed? And there not be people sitting on top of each other? I mean, doesn't common sense tell you that? It's my own fault. Right. And if you want to go somewhere where you have space to lay out. That if I went to a nice restaurant, that I should expect to have people on top of me. Oh, so now it's a nice restaurant? Yeah. Well, I don't know. Is it or is it not? Maybe it's not. Sean says he made a scene. Sean says he made a scene. And it's a great restaurant. That's why it's always packed. Especially on the weekend. So why should I expect that people be on top of me? That's how the tables are made. Because it's packed. Sean, what did said scene look like? You want me to describe the seating arrangement? No, no, no. The scene that you made. Oh, no. He made? He says, I made a scene. He actually made a scene. He made a scene. Well, I may have overstated it a little bit. Okay, what did you do? So, they bring this couple over with their two kids, and they put the one brat next to us. Oh, geez. Strong words. The baby. The kid is obviously way too close, and so I call the waiter over, and I point to the baby, and I go, can we do something about that? But I did it politely.
I did it politely. I didn't say it really loud. I didn't say it so the parents could hear it. And trust me, they were really close. So I said, is there something we can do? Can they move it to the other side? I said, no, sir, we can't move it to the other side because the other table is too close to their table. We can't put it. We physically can't put it on the other side. I said, so you can put the baby next to me, but you can't put it on the other side where there's a table that's unoccupied. And he said, well, no, sir, there may be someone coming shortly. I said, okay, well, tell you what, why don't we find another table that my wife and I can sit at where there isn't someone on top of us, and we can enjoy our meal, that I'm paying quite a bit of money. Oh, wow. Wow. And he goes, well, sir, there's going to be a wait, so if you and your wife want to step over here and wait for the next available, I said, no, no, no, I don't want to go anywhere. I'm going to stay here. until an available table comes up because I'm not going over and standing with everybody else over by the reception area. People are probably like, what's going on over there with that guy? I wasn't yelling. But you're a big man and you've got a deep voice. Very deep voice. You've got a very baritone. I don't know if that's the case.
So he said, well, sir, maybe you'd like to talk to our manager. Can you see me and my wife? It's like Darth Vader saying, you know, if Darth Vader started saying, can you move us to another table, you'd hear him. If Darth Vader were a diva. I'm not being a diva, dude. Would you want someone's child taking your table? Oh, I can't hear this. Oh, no. Would you want someone else sitting in your table? I'm not losing even though I'm watching at the table. The person in the hammock was being more mature about it. Absolutely. Jeez. I've never heard of such a thing. So Sean said they left. Sean said they left. No tip. And they got that. Did you eat? Did you eat? No. Oh, so you didn't eat? Well, there was food there, but we didn't eat it. You lost your appetite by this point. So you just walked out? Yeah, we walked out. Do we believe that Sean will get progressively worse with this kind of stuff every year? Oh, my goodness. Can you believe when he's 60? Yeah.
Like from last year to this year, 10 times worse. Oh, yeah. How is it 10 times worse? They put someone right on top of me. No. They could have been my child. In San Jose. If someone walked by, they wouldn't have been able to tell whose child that was. It was that close. He's freaking out. In San Jose, when we all lived in San Jose, Sky and I had to drive back to a restaurant and leave a tip. Yeah. Because of Shawnee, oh boy. No, it wasn't because of me. It was because of the waiter. No, it was because of you. Yeah, actually it was. We all left money for a tip and you chose to not give it to him. That is true. You stole from us. That is an accurate statement. I didn't steal. That's an accurate statement. You didn't give me back my money. I'll gladly give it back to you. Thank you. I accept. You need to start looking into takeout, maybe cooking at home a little more. Great idea. Restaurants on the run. Great idea. I just need to go to a restaurant where they don't put people on top of each other. It's impossible. It's impossible at this point.
It's impossible. No place is up to your standards. Ashley is our assistant producer. She doesn't have a problem with service. No. I mean, I used to be a waitress. She's pretty easy going. I want to eat with other people's children. It's a great place. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Ashley is 24 years old. Can we handle it? I know it. It's early. Ashley's 24. She's our assistant producer, and we love her. Boston Rob, 25 years of age. He is from Boston. Duh. He's got Boston tattooed on his neck. It's on his throat, Mike. Yeah. He looks dangerous, but he's an old soul. He's an old soul. He's a real sweet kid, man. And then there is Roosevelt, Zethian Oates III, Esquire Jr. He is... He is 23 years of age, tall, lanky, trips on things. Likes UFC. Let's see. What else can I tell you about Zethian Oates? He's a good kid. He doesn't speak a lot, though. We don't hear his voice all that often. He's shy. That's right. 570-1053 is our phone number. A little Memorial Day weekend.
I went to the third day concert Sunday night. Oh. Awesome. It was so fun. Yeah? That was cold. Yeah. It was cold out there. It was kind of windy and cold. And I have this thing I figured out that, like, I don't think I can put equal in coffee. It's too much, like, putting normal sugar in there. Really? Every time I have equal, I freak out, you know? Yeah. I start to sprout wings and then I fall to the ground and go into convulsions and turn into a turnip. Avoid it then. You splenda. I know it. Splenda, none of that happens. Ty from Third Day and David and some of my wife's friends went and ate at Fidel's in Solana Beach. That's good. Yummy. Have you been there, Skye? Is that the place we went to one time for somebody's birthday? Yeah. For Eddie's birthday. Was it Eddie's birthday? Yeah. Yeah. Uh-oh. Eddie looks disappointed in you as your friend. He wanted you to imagine. Oh, my gosh. I don't even remember the time. Could you imagine, Mike, if the tables were turned? Uh-oh. Could you imagine? And we forgot. It was Skye's birthday that we did it at. Could you imagine? I wasn't 100% sure.
The wrath of hell we would have gotten off. Sky, you loved it. You know my brain cells are shot. I'll use the same excuse. Sky, you loved it, right? Yeah. She doesn't remember it at all. I mean, it was Mexican food. Yum. It's delicious. Yeah, it's real good. Let's see. 570-1053 is our phone number. Call us at the beginning and end of every show. I felt so guilty about Lars and the real girl this weekend, Sky. I still haven't seen it. Here's what I'll do. I know. I'll bring it back because Sky loaned it to me and she was so nice. I don't want it back. I want you to watch it. I know it. I want to, too. Figure it out, man. I want to see it so bad. Well, then watch it already. And I messed up all the wires behind our TV. How'd you do that? In the living room. What? What are you going to do that for? That's the worst. I know it. You're not supposed to go back there. I know it. You're not allowed. There should be a sign that says keep out. Caution tape around it. And I put my little...
Brown hands back there. My little Mexican. Touching that kind of stuff. My dainty little soft little feminine hands. You don't belong back there. There's no fruit back there. Strawberries. What am I picking around back there? I thought there were. I thought there might be some strawberries back there. That was what it was. So I'm picking around. Just wires. Yeah. Weird. I'm like, is there any lettuce back there? Picking and picking. Nothing. No lettuce, no cabbage, no strawberries. There was some cauliflower. There was a cauliflower back there, which was so strange. Sold at the market. It was great. Let's see. P1 Paparazzi is on the line. Oh, no. His name is Brad. We call him Paparazzi because he... Well, he used to like to take a lot of pictures of us when we would go to the, you know, appearances and stuff. But I like Brad. I think he's a nice guy. And he... Brad... Usually when he calls in, he's got some good questions and topics and all that stuff. You guys should hang out. That's right. That's right. Brad, what are you calling about? I have a potential controversial subject for you guys. All right. Imagine you get in the car and you get pretty badly cut up. Paramedics come out to try to take care of you, fill up your open wounds, take you to the hospital. And later on, you find out that the paramedic that worked on you was HIV positive.
Yeah. What are your thoughts on that? Do you believe that that person should have been working in the paramedic industry? Well, yeah, I think they wear gloves, Brad. But they're pulling you out of a wrecked car. There's sharp objects on the vehicle that could possibly cut them, and you already have open wounds. Yeah, I wouldn't feel any more freaked out about it than I would if it was, you know, any other situation. You know, I think that the chances of them... What do you think, Eddie? Not a good question. Hey, listen. I understand. I think that there may be some people listening in their cars right now and they're going, hey, I wouldn't want it. Jump in anytime. Give that person call in. I'd like to talk to you. Yeah, who knows? Obviously, Brad may have felt that way. He would have felt like it was a little... That is a hot topic right now on CNN.com. That is the question of the day. I'm thinking of it along the lines of like the people who have hepatitis working in the food industry and people are getting hepatitis from the fact that somebody in the fast food restaurant happened to have it. Eddie's giving me a really, what I would call a very adamant break sign. Sure. I think that's a good way to describe it. I think that's a good way to describe it. It's a very, Eddie is not unsure.
as to whether or not he wants me to break. In fact, by the way he was doing it, it was quite clear. It was quite clear. Mike, I would prefer that you break now. It's time. And so I understand that. I understand that. Eddie's saying that we're late is the deal. I don't know. Anything else you want to talk about? Well, all right then. Thank you very much. That is Brad, and we call him P1 Paparazzi, so. The worst. Eddie, not a fan, not on his fan site. Let's, I tell you what, we take a quick timeout. Oh, no. Come on, it's 6.30. Come on, I'm the Sean fan. Don't just put me in there with cover. I can't. Got to recoup. 570-1053. Give us a call right now. Text us 35253. Don't forget, Eddie and Boston Robb. They're going to be dressed in sumo suits doing their next challenge. And everybody's invited to come watch next Thursday. It's going to be pretty awesome. Mario Vitale on the show today. Movie Word Association game today. Cell phone mishaps today. We'll play Boston Rob's song Drunk in the Pub again. Awesome. Incredible audio, man. Just incredible audio. Find out what movies hit big this weekend. New releases. It's going to be a great Tuesday, man.
The other tough part of New York is the rent, obviously. I'm paying 2,000 bucks for one bedroom, and this place is so small, you couldn't raise veal in this dump, you know? It's like a place where I'm sitting on the toilet and the bathroom and doing the dishes in the kitchen at the same time. Ding dong. Oh, the front door. Yeah, come on in. Have a... I have a seat in the tub with the four guys who broke in last night. My bathroom is like two feet by four feet, but it's got that pipe in the middle that heats up to 8,500 degrees Kelvin. And I keep backing into it while I'm brushing my teeth. By the time I leave the bathroom, my ass looks like a 16-ounce ribeye from Applebee's.

Getting a little bit busier out here as this commute kind of moves along here. North 805 on the 5 Freeway out of the South Bay. Looking pretty good. The 805, though, starting to slow down from the 15 connector off and on into North Park. West 94 on the King Freeway, clear into downtown. You've got a good-looking ride as well. Westbound 8 at La Mesa in the Mission Valley. Westbound 52, some reduced speeds toward the top of the summit there. Not too bad overall, though.
The South 15 is starting to get heavier, though, out of Escondido off to 78 to Villarancho Parkway. It slows a little bit again through Rancho Bernardo. And the coaster ride, South 5, is starting to pick up some brake lights from Santa Fe Drive out of Encinitas into Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. P1 Sanjaya. What's going on, Mikey? What's going on, dude? You went to Sleep Train? I went out to Sleep Train and bought myself a mattress, finally. When did you do it? I went this Sunday, actually. Cool. What did you get? Yeah, I got a beauty rest, a comfort classic. Did they deliver it Sunday, Monday, or when? Sunday when I told them to because I was moving that day. Really? It worked out perfect. That's pretty awesome. And did they take your, well, wait a minute. If you were moving, did they have to take your set or did you get rid of it yourself? No, I got rid of it myself. So they bring the new one in. Did they set it up for you? They set it up for me within like five minutes. And how did it feel that first night? Just like being in heaven. That's awesome, man. That's awesome, dude. That's awesome. Yeah, I tell people about Sleepton. Did they give you a good price? Oh, yeah, dude. I went in there after the promotion about getting everything for free. And the dude's still doing everything for free. And after I told him that Mikey sent me personally, he knocked off $700. That's awesome. Yeah. All right, brother. Thank you, Sanjaya.
All right, dude. Talk to you later, man. Sleep change your ticket to a better night's sleep. I am fascinated by human beings. Eddie. I have never seen. Start to finish. Blade Runner. Sky. I don't have very many friends. Sean. I eat baby food every day. Boston Rock. I claim to be a genius. And Ashley. I can't even imagine my life without water. The Mikey Show's on Rock 105.3. That's a good song by Live. That's a good one. That's that lightning crashes. Welcome back to the show. Tuesday morning, not Monday. I know it feels like it. This guy shaves his head, too. Probably the same reason. Probably thinning on the top. He's like, I just get rid of it. Welcome back. It's 641. Director and actor Sidney Pollack died yesterday at the age of 73. The Derby and Preakness winner, Big Brown, is said to be responding well to treatment of a cracked hoof.
This text message says, Mikey, I back Sean. It's like when Eddie got his hair cut and all the kids were running around. It's just annoying. That's signed P1, Big Penguin. Except the kids aren't running around in this case. They're, you know, sitting in a little... Probably sleeping. Probably sleeping. Listen, Sean says, when I go to a restaurant, I don't want to look at anybody staring at me. And he also felt that the baby was checking his wife out, you know, staring at her. And the difference is, you know, these were the owner's kids and they weren't controlling them. They were just running around. I expect there to be kids at a restaurant. I mean, they're allowed to go there. Sean has decided that he's, you know, he's not going to say anything on the matter. You know, he's just listening. You're all just going to jump down my throat. So what's the point? I'm wrong. Mikey, what was the song? Thank you very much, Sean. We appreciate that.
I think P.F. Chang appreciates that. I don't appreciate that. This text says, Mikey, what was the song that you went into break with? I don't know. What did I go into break with? So Hot, Kid Rock. So Hot, Kid Rock. This is when they start to really get into it. Oh, yeah. The thing I always thought was interesting about Live was that when he sang, he sounded like he had an accent that you didn't know what the accent was. It's like he speaks livenese. Oh. But when he sang, he had this affectation to his voice, his enunciation. You were like, well, it's nothing like any place I recognize. It's just that when he says certain words, you go, that's a little different. 570-1053 is our phone number. And then our text number, if you want to text us, is 35253. That's right. So we'd love to hear from you either through text or on the phone. You can do whatever you want. You can call us or do whatever. So Sky mentioned it. Sidney Pollack died.
This is the guy, he's been in a lot of movies. He's directed. Yeah, and he acts. You know what I really liked him in? I like Sidney Pollack when he's playing normal guy. He plays really good normal guy. Smart, normal guy. Like real intelligent normal guy. And in the movie Eyes Wide Shut, he was really good as their buddy. Their rich buddy. He was real good. He was also in Michael Clayton. Michael Clayton. Michael Clayton. Great movie. Yeah, he was a lawyer. Do you remember? He was a lawyer that worked with Clooney. I didn't see it, but Ashley saw it. Was he like his boss or something, Ash? Do you know? Do you remember? Not really. Uh-oh. And then this one, of course, everybody remembers this. Everybody's seen the movie Tootsie. I mean, everybody has. Everybody has seen it. And he played Dustin Hoffman's agent in the movie. Can't forget the guy's really good. Cut one. Nobody will hire you. Are you saying that nobody in New York will work with me? Oh, no, that's too limited. Nobody in Hollywood wants to work with you either. I can't even send you up for a commercial. You played a tomato for 30 seconds. They went a half a day over schedule because you wouldn't sit down. Yes, it wasn't logical. You were a tomato. A tomato doesn't have logic.
Tomato can't move. That's what I said. So if he can't move, how's he going to sit down, George? That's great. That's 175 years ago. That still sounds funny. Cut to. Okay, look, I sent you a play to read that my roommate will. It had a great part in it for me. Did you read it? Where the hell do you come off sending me your roommate's play for you to star in? I'm your agent, not your mother. I'm not supposed to find plays for you to star in. I'm supposed to field offers, and that's what I do. Field offers? Who told you that? The Agent Ferry? That was a significant piece of work. I could have been terrific in that play. Nobody's going to do that play. Why? Because it's a downer, that's why. Because nobody wants to produce a play about a couple that moved back to Love Canal. But that actually happened. Who gives a s***? Nobody wants to pay $20 to watch people living next to chemical waste. They can see that in New Jersey. That's great. That's really funny. I just realized who he was. You did? Yeah. Oh, he was great in Michael Clayton. Michael Clayton. He was really, really good. Let's listen to a clip of him from Michael Clayton. Such a good movie. Cut three. What if Arthur was onto something? Onto what? You, North. What if he wasn't crazy? What if he was right? Right about what? That we're on the wrong side? Wrong side, wrong way, everything. All of it. This is news. This case reeked from day one.
15 years in, I got to tell you how we pay the rent. He was 73 years old when he died at his home in Pacific Palisades, which is where our agent Bob lives. A bunch of people on the show. Yeah. Who's on it? We're right here, Bob. Who's that? Is that Marie? Yeah, it's Marie. No, my name is Sky, Bob. Oh, my goodness. I am so sorry. I'm so sorry. I see you every year. I'm so sorry. Well, that's wonderful.
Is Freddie still on the show? Oh, goodness. His name is Eddie. I don't appreciate that, Bob. I'm sorry about that. It's not the personal touch I'm looking for. What about the young kid, the Boston Bob? Is he still on there? Boston Bob is still on the show. He's like, what does he do? He's like a clown or something? Yeah, he goes to kids' events. Yeah, he does like the kids' stuff. And the animal balloons. On the air. Well, that's great. Well, how is Seattle? Is it the weather? Oh, boy. You know... It's a rainy season. We need to have a talk. What do you want to talk about? Why don't you leave a message with my secretary? Then we'll never hear back from you. That's true. All right, well, listen. You guys have fun up there? We're actually down. We're actually south of San Diego. Oh, that's right. You guys moved to San Diego. Well, I mean, we've been here for like four years. Four years ago. That's right. Oh, boy. That's wonderful. Okay. Thanks. How are the ratings? Well, we're number one, Bob. You should know this stuff. You should care. Oh, my goodness. You should care. Are you guys Opie and Anthony on the other one? I always am. I have to go. Bye. Great. Let's see. So, Sidney Pollack. What kind of cancer do you have, Sky? How did he die? I didn't.
It just everywhere said he died of cancer. It doesn't say? Yeah, not that I've read so far. What's going on in sports, Eddie? The NBA playoffs, what does the picture look like? Well, yesterday Detroit tied up their series with Boston winning game four. And game four between the Lakers and San Antonio is tonight. I should have tape recorded my dad breaking down the NBA finals yesterday. Oh, yeah. Who's he like? Well, he likes Boston. Oh, hey now. And even though he wants San Antonio to win, he wants San Antonio because he doesn't like Kobe Bryant anymore, he says. Doesn't like Kobe Bryant anymore. He believes that the Lakers will beat San Antonio, but he wants San Antonio. I don't know what any of it means. And he really enjoys the stories that they tell about the players and all that. And he says to me, you guys would have laughed so hard. Dad goes, you know, sometimes I think that those fouls are intentional. I believe that they're doing it because they're angry and they're, you know. He says, you know, sometimes you can tell that it's a mistake.
It's a mistake, but there's a lot of times where you can tell these guys, they're just being, you know, they're being mean. They're being mean, you know. He believes it's intentional. Maybe that's why they named it that. It's in the title. I should tell him, Dad. Maybe that's why they named it intentional foul. That's a good thought. So I'm driving in this morning. Sky and I are talking about news. I didn't even know what the deal was with this mother from Scripps Ranch. I hadn't even heard the story. Have you guys heard this story? There was a woman killed in Scripps Ranch by her daughter. Whoa. What? What happened, Skye? So, Sunday morning, just before 9 o'clock, police get a call from the husband saying that his wife had been attacked. And basically, they show up to find the wife on the kitchen floor of her Scripps Ranch home with blunt force trauma to the head. And what they think happened is that, for some reason, the 14-year-old daughter had some sort of violent outburst. They're not saying what they...
think uh prompted this outburst but the daughter they believe took a hammer to her mother's head in the family home and the husband and another daughter were in the home sleeping and woke up to the sounds of screaming and called the police and the police came out and you know the mother was immediately taken to the hospital but ended up dying yesterday So currently the 14-year-old daughter is being held in Juvenile Hall on suspicion of murder. And they say that they're going to decide tomorrow whether the girl should be charged as a juvenile or an adult in this case. No way. Now here's what a police spokesperson said before, I guess, the mother had died. Cut 72. There was a scream heard. The people who were asleep woke up and the mother was found in the kitchen. Well, if the mom ends up passing away, the daughter will be arrested for murder. Wow. So this was, again, this was before, so she has passed away now. She has passed away. And I wonder if it'll be a case where they're going to try to try her in as an adult, you know, that whole deal. Yeah, they say they should decide that by tomorrow afternoon. The really terrible thing about it is, is that this poor father has lost two very important people to him.
He's lost his wife and potentially his daughter. You know, if she's put in jail, that's too bad. There's friends and neighbors there. Cut 73. It's just unbelievable. It's very tragic. It's very sad. Wonderful people. They were just wonderful, wonderful people. It's just one of those unfortunate things, and nobody knows why or how. She was always kind, and when we went over there to the party, she talked quite a bit about the kids, because I have four kids myself. Had a lot in common. If he has a boat, they go away for weekends, and they go away for a week and camp. It's just devastating. I just never suspected. That's too bad. Hey, let's do this. Let's take a quick timeout. And then when we come back, first of all, Mario Batali is going to be on the show today. When we come back, I have audio of Sharon Stone saying China deserved it. That should be interesting. That should be interesting. Also, Boston Rob's song, Drunk in the Pub. We'll have to spin that again. So we'll be doing that. And next, let's play Movie Word Association game.
So call us right now, 570-1053. And if you want to play movie word association game, call us at 570-1053. Don't screen everybody if they pick Sean because Sean can't play because he's doing that. It's hard for him to do the sound effects of what's going on and think and be doing the deal. Okay. So, yeah. So here's who's playing. Myself, Eddie, Sky, Ashley, Austin Robb. That's who's playing Movie Word Association game. I like it. The way the game works, we get a word. Like, let's say the word is you. You got to come up with a movie with that word in the title. That's it. Who do you think will do the best at 570-1053? Do his hammer on Dr. Doomsday King infused face paint. Rock 105.3. Yeah, so as a kid say, you know, hit me on my celly. Oh, on my celly-o. Holla. Yeah, holla at me. Holla at me. Holla at me on my celly. Before we went to break, I told you that Sharon Stone thinks that China deserved it. Oh.
Come on. She was on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival and said this, cut 27. Well, you know, it was very interesting because at first I'm, you know, not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don't think anyone should be unkind to anyone else. And so I have been very concerned about how to think and what to do about that because I don't like that. And then I've been just, you know, concerned about, oh, how should we deal with the Olympics? Because they're not being nice to the Dalai Lama, who's a good friend of mine. And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened. And I thought, is that karma when you're not nice that the bad things happen to you? And then I got a letter from the Tibetan Foundation that they wanted to go and be helpful. And that made me cry. And they asked me if I would write a quote about that. And I said. I would, that it was a big lesson to me that sometimes you have to learn to put your head down and be of service, even to people who aren't nice to you, and that that's a big lesson for me. There it is. So she believes that it was karma. She's crazy. That caused the earthquake. Does she know that 67,000 of their citizens died? It's not the citizens that are mean to Tibet. It's the government. That makes no sense.
horrendous thing to say. Idiot! She was in Basic Instinct 2. Yeah, that's true. She does have a right to speak on these things. That is, I hadn't really considered it in that light, but yeah, maybe that's something that we should all really think about. And it'll just kind of like, you know, resonate in all of us and go, okay, well, you know, now I understand. association game. Scene one, take 105. And action! Eddie's rubbing his hands together like Mr. Miyagi. You're getting in movie mode, dude. I was actually doing the little drum thing from Karate Kid 2 that they did. The little what thing? The little drum thing they would rub together and that's what Daniel figured out. Oh, I gotta do the motion of the drum thing. Daniel's son.
Yeah. The problem was is that Arnold from Happy Days wasn't in the movie by that time anymore. Yes, he was. He was. I'm talking, of course, about the famous Japanese actor, Hariato Amaguchi Anori. What? What was his name? Cat Morita. That's right. Cat Morita was really close. It rhymes. It rhymes. Who he was talking about? It rhymes. Wow. Sorry, guys. Listen, Eddie got it. Of course, he speaks Mike. Yeah, true. So let's go around, and we'll take some phone calls, see who everybody wants to pick on the movie word association game. P1 Derek, who do you want? Eddie. Good choice. Yeah, me. P1 Jason, who do you want? Hey, and I'm B-Rob. All right, hang on a minute. Nice. P1 Chris, who do you want? Scott. There you go. Sorry, Chris. Sure. P1 Justin, who do you want? Mikey. All right. And it looks like P1 Natalie is going to play for herself. Yeah, it'll be kind of cool. Natalie, what we're going to have you do is go after Sky. So we'll go. This is the way the order will go. It will go me, Eddie. Mike. What? We're not done. We're not done. We're not done. Me, Eddie, Sky, Ashley, Boston Rob. Me, Eddie, Sky, listener, Ashley, Boston Rob.
I did it wrong the first time. Okay. Man. Learn a trade. I really do. I really think that. The problem is I'm 37 years of age and this is all I know how to do. Do you think it may be welding? No. I don't think that. I guess gardening, I got to go back to what I know, you know? I don't know any of this. I mean, but jeepers, creepers, right? So she goes after Skye every time. Yeah, the listener will go after Skye every time. Okay, that's fair. You got that? Yeah. Okay, Natalie. So again, I'll go like this. Am I after Lee? No. She's doing that on purpose, right? She's trying to set me in. I hope so. And it's working. Okay, so it'll go like this. It'll go Mikey, Eddie, Sky, Natalie, Ashley, and then Boston Rob. It's a game of elimination. Last person standing is the winner, and we get a word, and we have to put that word in the title of a movie, and as long as we can do that, we're in. We get about three seconds. We don't get any longer than that to think of a movie. Next up, it will be P1 Ghost. Are you there, Ghost?
Yep, I'm taking Ashley all the way. That's right. All right, hang on a minute. Hang on just a second. Okay, now, Zeth is going to give us the words. Are you ready, Zeth? Yep. All right, we just have to use this word in the title of a movie. I've got to get focused here. I'm so not focused today. I'm keeping around. A minute, a minute, a minute, a minute, a minute. The effect's working. Okay, and begin. Will Ferrell movies. Oh, Anchorman. Does Anchorman work? Yeah, but... It was too late. Not one Will Ferrell movie? Semi-pro, dodgeball, old school. For a second, I had to think, Will Ferrell, Will Ferrell, Will Ferrell. And then I was like, oh, and his face came to me, and I was like, what was he in? What was a movie with that guy? Oh, man. Talk about a brain sprain. I know. Anchorman. Yeah, we play drops from that movie all the time.
All right, well, I'm out. Oh, jeez. So sorry about that, Justin. This is going to be bad. Eddie will begin. Now, here's who's left. Eddie, Sky, our listener, Natalie, Ashley, and Boston Rob. That's all that's left. Go ahead, Seth. Movies with the word men in the title. Robin Hood, men in tights. Men of honor. A few good men. What? A few good men. Got it. Men in black. Men. How about just men? He didn't want to go in. He's done that before. I learned from that. Men, the movie. That means Rob is eliminated. The people left, Eddie, Sky, our listener Natalie, and Ashley. That's it. It's down to four. I'm cheering for Ashley. I'm so sad that I am out of the game. I know. Normally you win it. It like comes down to you and Eddie normally. And now I'm like, I'm thinking, okay, Anchorman. Take Anchorman out of it. Semi-pro. Dodgeball. Let's see. Dodgeball. Dude. Seriously. Blades of Glory. I know it. He's done like every sport movie. It's ridiculous. Will Ferrell wasn't in Dodgeball. He wasn't? No. Oh, man. No, Ashley keeps saying that. Yeah. I'm just fooling. All right. Oh, yeah. Here we go. Ashley's fooling.
Four people left, and we'll start this time with Sky. I don't like Sky. Zeth, go ahead. Movies with a color in the title. The color purple. No, Ash, it's Natalie. The Green Mile. Purple Rain. Oh, Red Dawn. Hunt for Red October. Red Belt. What was that? Red Belt? It just came out. It's an MMA movie. Yeah, she's right. Okay, okay. Ashley. Orange. You're not just naming colors. You've got to name me. I just thought it was... Rust! Sandalwood. Husha. Coffee White. It is now down to Eddie. Eddie, Sky, and Natalie. Our listener Natalie is still in it. She's good. Dropping MMA movies. That's right. Hey, I'm a huge UFC fan. There you go. I forgot that it was my turn. I've got to...
Pay attention. I was waiting for Rob to go. That was kind of eliminated. All right. Zeth, what is the word? Natalie starts this week. Oh, Natalie starts. Okay. Natalie, you're beginning. And Zeth, what's the word? Movies with a proper name in the title. What does that even mean? What does that mean? Aaron Brockovich, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. That was the one I was thinking of. I couldn't think of her name. What does proper name mean? First and last name? Yeah. First and last name. Michael Clinton. Michael Clinton. Michael Clinton. Great movie. What up, dude? Oh, snap. Wow. Oh, Sean is a big supporter of Bill Clinton. I am. And so, Sky, what's his story?
Well, Sunday he was giving a speech in South Dakota where he basically started to talk about how his wife, if his wife went to the general election, she would have a better chance of beating McCain than Obama. And then he starts to talk about how all the studies and all the research done shows that fact. But that that research isn't getting out there. And he believes that there's a cover up and they're trying to suppress this information that Hillary would beat McCain in the general election. What do you think about that, Sky? I don't I totally disagree. I think that the Republicans have venom for Hillary and they would, you know, come out the opposite. I thought so, too. But he's claiming Bill Clinton's claiming that. You know, Hillary's actually winning in the general election, and the only reason Obama is ahead right now is due to the superdelegates. So if it went, you know, to a vote of the people, they would want Hillary. And there's a big cover-up to suppress all this information, so people don't really know that Hillary would be the better choice. Sean, what do you think?
I think he could have a really good point. Everybody knows that there's a problem with our electoral process. I don't think that's any secret. Sean loves him. He loves Bill Clinton. He'll support him to the end. Well, the guy can barely do no wrong. He's an idiot, though. He pulled this country back from the brink, Mike. The brink of what? The brink of disaster. Of awesomeness when we were with Ronald Reagan? No, financial collapse, actually. What the heck? Barbara. Oh, yes, this is Barbara. Of course it is. We were talking about Hillary. Well, it's really good then that I decided to call in since I am a part-time Hillary supporter and a full-time black woman. Sure. Then it's good that I decided to call in, isn't it? Well, yes. I don't know about that, Tony. Yes, it is. What's going on? Well, I just know that I heard Bill Clinton telling the truth, and I hear a lot of people doubting it. What? Well, it's not necessarily the truth. It sounds more like it's his opinion. Oh, there's a conspiracy. I don't know about that. Who's heading this conspiracy, Barbara? Barack Obama is Skye, and I don't think that's a very hard thing to figure out. The guy you support. And I'm going to tell you something right now. I'm no stranger to conspiracy. I've been through these things myself in the 90s. I went through it a lot, and I was a victim of it.
Of conspiracy? In regards to what, Barbara? I was a victim of conspiracy to transport. I was a victim of conspiracy with intent to sell. I was a victim of conspiracy to commit a conspiracy. And I am no stranger to the whole... Am I slurring right now? Yeah, I love it. It's a rough one. I am no stranger to this. No, that doesn't help. That's what I'm saying. So I understand where he's... Oh, hello? Are you okay? And I just... Oh, there she goes. There she goes. He takes a lot of drugs. Yeah. She's a hot mess. That guy's bad. Yeah. Barbara. Barbara. Hello. Hey. There you are. You're all right. Hi, guys. It's wonderful for you guys to call. What's the topic? We're not calling you. What are we talking about? We never call you Babs. You called us and then you fell asleep. We never call you Babs. Oh, that's right, Eddie. Thank you so much for saying that. You're welcome. Well, anyway, go Hillary. And I really hope that you guys visit her website. It's called HillaryClinton.com.
What is it? Dot what? Dot TV? Dot org? What is it? Yeah, dot gov. Who knows? We'll never know. Now we're not going to know. It's a conspiracy. Now we're not going to know. Let's see. P1 Terminator is on the line. Hey, good morning. How you guys all doing? Good, man. What's up? I have a question for the Oracle. He's a baseball fan. This is a game coming up on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd of June. It's the Detroit Tigers versus the San Diego Padres. I want to know who you are favoring. What the heck kind of question is that? That is a strange question. Now, I'm just curious. We'll get Eddie's opinion on this, but P1 Terminator, what makes you ask the question? I just want to know because you guys always talk about the Padres, big support of the Padres. This is a weird, this is one of those games that it's an interleague game versus AL versus NL. They haven't played really against each other since 1984. Detroit won the World Series. I want to know that since Eddie is such a big baseball fan, I want to know if he's going to favor the Padres or the Tigers. Since the Padres are currently second to last, well, I'm sorry, they are last,
to the Giants in standing. Eddie. Eddie is trying to not laugh hysterically right now, so I'm... And it's fun to watch. It's fun to watch him compose himself. I know it sounds weird, but... I want to know, too. I favor the Padres. Get out. That's crazy. Didn't see that coming. There you go. So, P1 Terminator, Eddie favors the Padres. What now? Why? They're good. And he says because they're good, so take that. Are you serious? I get the feeling. Yes, I am. Yes, I am. That's right. Oh, my gosh. That's right. Thank you, Terminator. Thank you. You terminated. You terminated. That's right. P1 Lacey is on the line. Hi, guys. How are you? Good. What's up?
Well, I kind of needed your help with the situation. I want to get your opinion on something. I was recently engaged, and I'm in my early 30s. And I had a secret that I wanted to share with my fiancé, and I couldn't decide whether or not it was going to be a good idea. And then I finally decided to just come clean. And I told him about how I had been married before. That was a secret? It was a secret because it was. Whoa. That's probably a good little piece of information. That's a big secret. No, no, no. That's a biggie. No, it was something that, I mean, I grew up like in a Navy town. It was, I got married at 18 and we were literally divorced like six months later. We realized it was like a, not the right thing to have done. I almost. think of it more as like I lived with someone than an actual marriage, because it really wasn't a marriage, we were too young to let it be a marriage, so I just, it's never been a big deal in my life, you know, and then I finally found the right person, like I said, now I'm in my early 30s, and I just, I didn't think it was important to say, and then something was just eating away at me, so I told him, and
Three months away from our wedding, he broke off the engagement. Wow. So when did he do this, recently, or are you guys getting married soon? No, no. We were supposed to get married this August, and he broke off the engagement about four weeks ago. And how long have you guys been together? We've been together for about, well, we've known each other. as friends for about a year, and then we dated for about two years. Oh, my gosh. Well, and in that whole three years, you never told him about being married? Yeah, you know what? Because I don't tell anybody. It's like... It's a mistake, and you don't want to go there. Yeah, it's something that it doesn't define me. It was. It was a mistake. It was, you know... So why tell him now? I don't know. I was... I don't know. I was in love, and the wedding was coming up. I was feeling very nostalgic and romantic, and I just thought, oh, I should just, you know what? I didn't think it was going to be a big deal. Let me, just for a second, Lacey, this may mean something, may mean nothing, but I thought it was interesting that right now you said, I was in love. Yeah, I noticed that. Did you notice that with her fiancé? She said, I was. No, I am in love with him.
I guess there's a little part of me that's, you know, disappointed that something so what I find is unimportant could have broken us apart. If you found it unimportant, why did you tell him? See, from the very beginning, I'm just going to tell you what I'm feeling inside from the moment she started till now. From the moment she started telling us the story until now, I thought to myself, oh, no, I think she might have thought it was a real big deal. But she didn't want to say it because she was embarrassed of it. What she's actually saying on the air is, oh, it didn't matter. It was nothing. Maybe it wasn't. Maybe you really do feel that way. It's just odd that if you really did feel that way, that you're saying it now. If you really felt it was nothing and it was no. Well, first of all, if you feel it's nothing and it's no big deal, you would just say it because it's nothing. It's no big deal. And you could just say it and there wouldn't be a big deal to it. But what's interesting is the say in it now, and that's a part I don't really understand. Sky has a question. So, Lacey, like, I'm trying to understand where your ex-fiance is at now. Like, did he say the wedding's off in a moment of anger and you guys are still going to talk and maybe potentially work it out? Or have you guys, like, actually contacted the guests and canceled it? Well, we just didn't send out the invitation.
He, we were working on that. Okay. And he said, I can't do this. I mean, he was, it wasn't so much that he was angry. He acted really hurt. Right. So there's still chance to maybe reconcile and make this right. I hope so. Okay. And your parents obviously knew that you were engaged and everything. So have you had to tell your parents that the engagement's off? I kind of just, not really, kind of just told them we were holding off on sending out the invitations. Yeah. Yeah. Betty, what do you think? What is he most mad about? Is he mad that you just weren't forthcoming with this information? I think so. I guess, you know, he needed some time. He asked me not to contact him for a couple of days, and that ended up becoming like almost two weeks. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Wow. And I was really trying to... What do you mean? You mean that when you called him, he didn't pick up? No, I didn't. He said...
Don't call me. I'll call you when I'm ready. And I thought it was going to be a couple of days and it was actually like almost two weeks. Has anybody been through this, by the way? 5701053. If you've experienced anything like this. This is tricky. 35253 is our text. It is tricky. Three, five, two, five, three. That's our text number. I know somebody who went through something kind of like this, but didn't wait that long to, you know, I know a girl who got married very young and actually was only married for like a week and then decided it was a mistake and got it annulled and now is remarried. But, you know, didn't wait so close to the wedding to tell her fiance. But, you know, he was a little, you know, taken back to hear such a big. a big thing because and my interpretation of at least their situation was the fact that when you decide you want to marry someone and share your life with them you feel like you know them you know completely you know a hundred percent of them and then to find out that that's not true it makes your mind go crazy like well what else don't i know and is she keeping things from me and that can drive a person mad i agree with you you know i agree with you and i also would like to start
Bringing back the use of the terminology that it would drive a person mad. I think it's fantastic. Thank you, Mike. It is a dynamite thing. It's dynamite. It's dynamite. Powerful. Ash. I totally agree with you, Sky, but at the same time, don't you think that maybe he can see that this woman is coming, she's being forthcoming and telling him this is her last kind of secret before they tie the knot. So maybe kind of be happy that she told him and know that there's really nothing else. It sounds like she's elated. There's really nothing else. I mean, it seems like she's coming forward and saying the one thing that she kind of wanted to get off her chest. Yeah, and I totally hear that. Like, if it was me in this situation, I wouldn't go to the extreme of calling off the wedding and not talking for two weeks. But I would definitely be hurt and upset, you know. I have a strange take on this. Oh, no. Please, I love your strange takes. I have a strange take on this. They're my fave. thought is listen if you have held on to this information for this long you keep holding on to it and don't do it because you're trying to relieve yourself because that's what i get the feeling it's like well i want to be off the hook from this i want to be free of the guilt i understand that but you're hurting somebody else in the process of it you've made one mistake why make two
You know, you could have very easily from the very beginning come clean and said, here's what the deal is. But you didn't. You waited. And during that wait period, you created hurt if you come clean now to relieve your conscience. If your thought is, oh, well, I just want him to know everything. I want him to. Well, ask yourself, is that really what I want? Or is it that I want to get rid of this guilt that I haven't told him this thing in my secret? So you think she should have kept this secret? I think she should have told him from the very beginning, but she didn't. But she didn't. And so in this situation, you take it to God, discuss it with him, get rid of it within yourself, go get counseling if you need to, but don't hurt somebody else. It's purposeless. What if she, you know, she was, obviously her family knows about it, so what if it came out and she wasn't the one to tell him? It depends. How is that going to come out? You know, who knows? There's a picture that comes out. He's going through old albums of the mall. An old aunt doesn't know. Crazy grandma. I think that at that point, it's not on you. But don't you think it's important to have a clean slate going into marriage? Yeah. So better late than never to get that out, get it in the open, and go forward with a clean slate into marriage. Personally, I think she's made a mistake.
I think that telling him is another mistake. Really? Yeah, I think it's mistake upon mistake. I really like Eddie's point about, well, what if somebody slips? Although that's, I just don't know. I don't know that I see that as very likely. But if it does. Well, what if, you know, your mom could say something like, you know, well, when she was married the first time. And he was like, what? Married the first time? Like, what are you talking about? You know, if I found out that way, no way. That's way worse than me. And there's something to lying by omission to me. I feel like sometimes you could tell a lie by just omitting the truth. And so I would much rather know everything on the table, lay it out, and we'll deal with it. What do you think? 570-1053, our text number 35253. Mikey, I feel that because she was so young and her first marriage was so brief that her current fiancé should forgive her. That's Leslie. Well, should. I mean, we all should. If that's the case, right? I mean, we should forgive. If somebody's asking for forgiveness, I mean, I guess we're supposed to forgive them. I mean, if she's talking about should forgive. Yeah, I mean. But I think on the scale of wrongdoings, I think this is on the lower end of the scale. You know, yeah, it wasn't the right way to go about it, in my opinion. But, you know, it's not like she cheated on him. The extremity of the situation.
How about this one? The extremity. I think if you look at the extremity, you realize it's got... The situation. It's got fingers. It's got fingers, and then it's got a wrist, and it's got... I'm not talking about... Probably a watch on it, you know, which means this is no boating accident. I'm talking about how extreme the situation is, guys. I'm not talking about fingers. Mikey, it sounds like this guy is being a big baby about it. At least she told him. It's P1 Smash. It's true. I agree. Mikey, after three years, it becomes a big secret. That's P1 Mike. That is correct. Mikey, maybe he's thinking she doesn't take marriage seriously if she's saying this isn't a big deal. Interesting point. P1 Savvy. She was just a baby. A barber. She was a baby. Mikey, she needs to count her blessings that he left now. What? If he really loved her, he would be there for her forever. They can't have a life built on, maybe I'll be there for you. That's an interesting point. Yeah. How about that one? Mikey, she only told him because he would have found out when they applied for the license because you have to put previous marriages and divorce on the application. Oh, snap. Oh, snap. Wow. Lacey. Lacey. Yes. How about that? Is that true? You know, you just had me shaking in my boots. I didn't even think about that. What would have happened? I didn't know that.
I honestly, you know what it was? I keep hearing everyone talking, and it does have a lot to do with the fact that I did want to start on a clean slate with him. And, yeah, I think I was afraid of it coming out later in general conversation, whether it was a month down the road or two years down the road. I didn't want him to hear it from someone else, you know, on accident. I wanted it to come from me, from my heart. Did you tell him that? I have. And, you know, we have talked. He's still kind of taking his time, I think. I don't know if he's just trying to make me suffer for it. But, you know, you just said something right now that made me think that, you know, it's just the guy. I need someone who knows how to forgive. You're right. So maybe I need to take back some of the cards he's holding. Well, Eddie, I think you got a good point, man.
I mean, if somebody does say it, you're kind of, you look worse. Oh, yeah. If somebody says it, you look worse. So maybe you don't make another mistake by not coming clean. Maybe that's the second mistake. Yeah, I mean, you can't go back in time. If she could, she would have told him earlier. And so at this point, all you can do is be honest and let the chips fall where they may. Say it. Say it, man. P1 Westboy. Hey, how's it going, Mikey? Good, man. What do you think? Yeah, I think I'm like, why is this guy leaving this girl over this? I could see if she told him that she used to be a man back in the day or something like that. You know, I was married when I was 18. I made a mistake. I think either he's hiding something or there's more to the story that she's not telling. Nobody's going to just leave because I married somebody when I was 18 and made a mistake. You know, she wasn't a prostitute or, you know, wasn't nothing big. So she was married. Big deal. Yeah, you know, she was 18 years old. How many, you know, so many people go to Vegas and elope over the weekend and get divorced the next day when they come back to, you know, San Diego. Cameron Diaz. Yep. That's right. Britney Spears. All right, you guys take it easy. Thank you. Who else did Bronson Pinchot? Very famously. That's true. Very famously going to Vegas and getting hitched. Larry P1 Kristen.
Yeah, I just think that if he's going to run over something that happened 10 years ago that has no relevance on their life now or in the future, he's going to run at the smallest little thing once they're married. He's going to want a divorce six months into it because something else happened. Doesn't that dismiss the fact that he's hurt, that she didn't tell him? Well, I mean, it was six months and it was like a decade ago. And isn't there one thing to being hurt and to cutting off all communication for two weeks? Exactly, exactly. Well, but that means that we're deciding how he feels. We're deciding that the way he feels is too strong and he shouldn't. You're feeling that too much. This is the appropriate response you should have. Yes, that's what we are saying. But you can't do that. He's going to overreact about a lot of situations. It's kind of a big deal, people. Come on. I'd like to know what Cagney thinks about all this. Cagney and Lacey? Anybody? Anybody. Cagney from Cagney and Lacey? Cagney from Eddie? Eddie. Thank you for the call, Kristen, and thank you for the call, Lacey. We appreciate it. And if you want to weigh in, 570-1053. If you want to text us, 352-53. Eddie, who's Cagney?
The girl's lacy, so cag me and me. Get it? It wasn't bad. It wasn't bad. Not bad. Not bad. Not bad. Best jokes need to be explained. Now, here's what we're going to do. The Mikey Show is on. Slow down from the 15 now into downtown. Your West 8's getting rougher, though. That's got plenty of brake lights now approaching Spring Street, down to Lake Murray and La Mesa.
And then it suffers again from College Avenue all the way in past the Q at Qualcomm Stadium here in Mission Valley at the 805 freeway. Heading south of the 15, a slew ago, one from the 78 down to Via Rancho Parkway. Reduced speeds again into Rancho Bernardo. Also, the westbound 56 backing up at a Rancho Penasquitos from Black Mountain Road all the way to the 5. And the coaster rides, south 5, quite a struggle out of Lucadia into Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Hey, is this Todd? Yes. Todd wrote me an email. Tell everybody what you wrote me in the email. Mikey, I bought a Simmons Beautyrest Cunningham pillow top over at Sleep Train two weeks ago, and it was just an amazing experience. The salesperson gave me 10% off before he even knew I was in there for the Mikey show. And then I used the Ace card and said, oh, Mikey told me to come in, and I got an additional 10. So all in all, I saved 20% on the mattress. And I bought it at Mission Valley at 11 o'clock. They had it delivered and installed in Chula Vista by 2.30 on the same day. That's rad. And what's even more amazing, since it was a Cunningham pillow top, it was personally delivered by Richie Cunningham and Patsy Weber. It was just an amazing experience. That's awesome. Hey, how do you like sleeping on it? It's amazing. I've never had any problems sleeping before, but with the new mattress, it's even better.
It's completely amazing. I would recommend Sleep Train to all the P1s out there. And Richie Cunningham and Potsy Weber delivered it. Absolutely. You can definitely meet Richie and Potsy if you get the Cunningham pillow top. There you go. That's beautiful. Hey, dude, I appreciate it. Thank you for calling. Thanks, Mikey. We'll see you. Back to the show. It is 7.58. The California Supreme Court will hear a case this week of an Oceanside woman who was denied artificial insemination because of her sexual orientation. NBA playoffs yesterday. Detroit tied up their series with Boston in game four behind Antonio McDyess is scoring 21 points. Doc Rivers, the Boston coach, gives Detroit all the credit. Give Detroit credit. I thought they bumped us off spot. We're more physical. We're more aggressive all night. And, you know. usually the winner goes to the team that's more aggressive, and it was them. So it happened. It shouldn't happen, but it did. I kind of understand what he's saying. When I used to ball, I know that sometimes... When you used to what? When I was a baller. Sometimes around the perimeter, I would... Well, I understand what you're saying, Scott. You're like, well, did this happen in the paint too? And it did, but it was... I was more of a perimeter shooter. That wasn't what I was saying. I was more of a perimeter shooter. Yeah, I was. It was just a skill I had, Eddie. I could dump those threes every single time. From the perimeter? Anyway. Anyway. Do you know where the paint is? Of course I do. It's where the paint is, man. It's where that paint. What does that mean? Your feet get all full of paint. Okay. Got a call from a girl who said I was engaged and I forgot to tell my fiance I used to be married. So.
Mikey, what do you think? So enjoy. So chew on that. And so we're getting text messages about it. How about this one? I think I might agree with P1 Russell on this one. Mikey, don't know why everybody's blaming the guy so much. That's a pretty crushing line by omission. Now, Sky, you're kind of all over this dude. You say, come on, fella. Well, I understand him being upset. And maybe needing a little time, but two weeks and calling off the wedding, I think, is a little extreme. So, Skye, are you saying that if you were getting married and your soon-to-be husband told you that he had been married before, you would take it like a champ? Brush it off. No, I said I understand him being upset. I just said that. And I would be upset, and I'd need a little time. Like a couple days. But I wouldn't call off the wedding, and I wouldn't not speak to him for two straight weeks. How long? A couple days. Really? Yeah. I underestimated. I thought you'd be mad at him for a long time. No. Well, she'd hold it over his head for the rest of his life. Oh, come on, Eddie. That's true. That is true. I mean, there would be sarcastic comments being made until all of eternity. About his wife? Yeah. Yeah. Are you referring to me or your first wife? Oh, no. They would go to a restaurant and somebody would say, oh, is this your wife? And she would go second.
That we know of. That he's told me. Thank you. Mikey, has he ever asked her if she's been married? I mean, he had two years to inquire. So shame on you, guy, for not asking. Your fault. Mikey, I think he is having second thoughts and using this as his excuse to get out of it. Wow, that's a little bit of projection, maybe. It's possible, though. It's possible. We don't know. Hey, listen, it could be that he's got somebody on the side. Great point, Mike. Cheater. There's a lot. That's right. Mikey, maybe he is looking for an out. Sad as it may be, he may not be ready for marriage. A man in love would not care about a previous marriage like that. Oh, man. You wouldn't. That's right. He wouldn't. Guy that wrote text wouldn't. Maybe somebody would be pretty.
freaked out about that you know it's a big thing well yeah i mean i know i personally envisioned myself marrying somebody who had never been married previously and and that's what you know what happened for me and if that would have been another case i don't know that i would have been married p1 willie is on the line what's up you know i usually agree with all your opinions and your advice that you normally give out but i totally disagree if you're telling the young lady that she should have kept it to herself The reason, and that no one will ever find out about it, because as sure as they sit there in some office, fill out some loan application for a house, for example, or a passport, or any other thing that they need to be purchasing, and it comes up, he's going to fall out the chair when it comes up and say, have you been previous married? Is she filling an application? Yeah. Hey, listen, I agree with you. I think that that is correct. And I really like Eddie's point, too, about, well, what if some drunk,
cousin blurts it out at a barbecue. Speak on it, man. You know what I'm saying? Like, everybody's standing around, and somebody's drunk, and they go, hey, what about your ex-husband? Nah. That could be bad. Then you'd be all, damn. No, all right. Eddie, stop it. We know what you're doing. We know exactly what you're doing. What am I doing? Well, whenever you talk to anybody that you perceive is African-American, then you go into, you know, you start speaking jive. That's crazy. That's your perception. That's my perception. But you just said perception. Nah, nah, nah. Wait, you never say nah. You never say nah. You never say nah. It ain't like that. You never say that, Eddie. Never. What do you mean? What do you mean, what you mean? It's ridiculous. Willie, thank you for the call. No problem, Mike. Appreciate it. Stop it. It ain't cool being no jive turkey. P1EMT is on the line. Oh, hello. Hey, Mikey. I was agreeing with everybody who was texting in just now. Maybe the guy was getting cold feet and he was looking for a way out and he jumped at the chance to use this as an excuse. Yeah, men. Wow.
Oh, wow. Could be. Could be. I mean, I think it's adding a lot, but maybe it is. Maybe the guy's got cold feet. Two weeks, Mike, of not talking to her. It's very dramatic. Please. He had to work stuff out in his head. Right? He's working stuff out. What is it? Four weeks? It's too long. Okay, Skye. What is the... Like, what's going to happen when they get married and they have an issue arise? You mean like a marriage before? Thank you. Or a child? Yeah. He's what, going to take off for two weeks? That's not any way to start a marriage. Let's try to keep something in mind here. They're not married. Well, yeah, but they should be treating each other like they are. Why? Why? Why should you respect your fiancé? Wait, wait, wait. No, you should respect your fiancé, for sure. And communicate and act? See, now I'm kind of agreeing with that text that we got. Like, you're saying respect her, but what about him? Well, yeah, but dude, like to take off for two weeks, that's... Well, Sky thinks it's fine. You take a couple days and think about it. Yeah. Then you come back. But what Eddie was saying and what I think I think too is like, well, who knows how long it takes somebody to get over something. His heart is kind of broken. Yeah.
He thought he knew this chick. But don't you see what I'm saying? If he wants to be married to her, he needs to learn how to work things out. He just can't. Maybe he doesn't want to be anymore. Now he's like questioning, who is this lady? Like, I thought I knew this chick, and now... I'm finding out. Like, what else do I not know? He's being very dramatic. He's like Sean at P.F. Chang's right now. That is true. Sean is really dramatic at P.F. Chang's over the weekend. He made a scene. Well, the guy wanted to be moved because there was a baby sitting next to him. How about rolling up? You're oversimplifying it. How about maturing a little bit? It was not like that at all, dude. It was right. The baby was right on top of me. He needs a baba. It was. It's a baby. Did you eat the baby? Just a few. Did you take a little bite out of its leg? Did you eat the baby? Did you eat the baby? All right, whatever. Exactly. P1, Dan. I'm just glad I got moved. Yes. Go ahead. Well, my best friend, he found out he had step-uncles, I guess. I don't know the details about it, but his grandfather was married before and never really told anybody.
until about six months ago when he passed away on his deathbed. Wow. Holy cow. That is nuts. Nobody knew that. Well, somebody else had to know, and they didn't say anything. Well, yeah, I think his family knew, but no one really said anything. So his father was about, I don't know, his dad's about 55, and his uncles are about 65 or something, and they met him probably about three months ago. They're all living the lie. That's what I'm saying, Mike. Know what I mean? They're all living it. Everybody is. And the funny thing was that the uncles lived probably 10 miles away from the grandkids or whatever, or the nephews. Thank you for the call. No problem. I appreciate it. Let's see. What a juicy meatball, yeah? That was a very juicy meatball. Or spicy. Oh, hello. Hello, lady. Ashley went golfing this weekend. Yeah, I did, guys. Eddie has a look like, wait, wait, wait, wait. You got ours mixed up. I went golfing. I went golfing this weekend. Like golfing or the driving range? No, like golfing. Golfing. Like out on the links, Sky. Like we did nine holes. Yeah. Now explain what you mean. Explain what you mean by we.
It was me and my honey. You guys know him as my boyfriend. My boyfriend Mark. My boyfriend Mark. I love him a lot. I love him a lot. And then it was my Faja. It was my Faja and his new lady friend. They came into town. It was the two of them. They're both golfers. They met on a flight? They drove to Mexico and stayed in San Felipe for a couple days. At a house they have down there. Look at that. Then they came back here, you know, real convenient because we're right here. So they just stopped in and hung out with me all weekend. They're leaving this morning. So it was the two of them. And then it was my boyfriend's brother, T-O-double-D. And he's real good at golf, too. So he came along for the ride. How'd you do, Ashley? What'd you shoot?
Wow, Mike, you sound like you know what you're talking about. I didn't golf because I've never golfed before, so I just watched. I wrote the cart. She said she went golfing, but she didn't golf. That's not going golfing. I just watched, but I was wearing a polo. She wore a polo. It was pink. I choose to match. What? Well, she went out there with T-O-double-D. What did you do? You sat on the golf cart? Yeah, I sat on the golf cart and I just watched because I've never really witnessed golf going on before. So it was interesting to me because I'm like, how do you even know where to hit the ball? But I guess there's flags and you follow those. So it was really an interesting experience. Eddie, we should go sometime. Can you imagine? Can you imagine? I'll wear my polo. I got my polo. Don't even think about it. No. No, no, no. Eddie, what about miniature golf? What about if you were to tour to miniature golf again? She has to be her partner. Sky is shaking her head on that one. That would be a scene. Text us. 35253.

sleep train mattress centers. It's been a tough ride in the 805 northbound this morning. Still pretty backed up from Marcus Street here as you come up through National City. It extends into North Park and then it crawls again from the 8th freeway, or over the 8th freeway, rather, up to Mesa College. A bad accident here really caused a mess this morning. It's been clear, but not before damage done. Now, once you get past that, you're going to find another busier ride coming out of Pretty Mesa from Balboa, heading up over to 52. The West 8 affected by that busy 805 this morning. That's quite backed up here from Lake Murray all the way to the 805 freeway. And then slows again in past the queue here in Mission Valley. Westbound 52 looking pretty nice out of Santee all the way to the top of Summit. Nothing slow you down there. South 15 is improving out of Escondido. A little slow through Rancho Bernardo, then again through Carmel Mountain Ranch. The westbound 56, though, that's pretty much a crawl out of Rancho Penasquitos from Black Mountain Road all the way to the 5. And the coaster rides southbound 5 quite heavy out of Lucadia into Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. The Cricket Wireless Studios. That's your rock. Go see San Diego's Rock. Back to the Mikey Show. Featuring Mikey. I lose attention. My attention is in and out. ADD. Eddie. I'm good at sports. You're not. Deal with it. Sky. I have my urine and my spam. Sean. I'm...
An extraordinarily shy and awkward person. Boston Rob. I get things done. And Ashley. I realize that I no longer enjoy large venue events. The Mikey Show's on. Oh, I want to get into this so fast. Rock 105.3. Is this Eazy-E? Yes. Is it DJ Jazzy Fresh? DJ Eazy. Is it... Is this Biggie Smalls? Oh my gosh. Now we've crossed the lines. Oh, man. Is it Sugar Lane Gang? Sugar Lane Gang. You're the worst. You are the worst. This guy's like, no, it isn't. Sugar Lane Gang. It's the barges. Hi, please. Freshie. Freshie Freshmaker. It's the Freshmaker. It's the Freshmaker. It's Mentos. It's Mentos.
It's 8-19. Metallica officially launched their new website, Mission Metallica, today. Okay. Scott Dixon wins at the Indianapolis 500. That's cut number 63. Championship on the Dixon is going to come. That's not what people wanted to talk about, though. It was Danica Patrick going after another driver after being taken out in the pits. Really? Holy cow. She pulled into the pits, and another driver pulled out and wrecked her. Yeah. And she gets out of her car. all five foot two of her and goes after the driver to beat him up. So did she make it to him? The officials stepped in front of her and pulled her away. Well, you know, she's shaking in his boots. It sounds like one of those deals where she's like, well, you know, the guys do it. So, you know, I'm a racer and I'll do it too. Anything you can do, I can do better.
Great song. Any fight you get in, I'll get my butt whipped. You don't know what would have happened. I think I do, Skye. You don't know. Maybe she's a black belt in karate. She could be. You don't know. She could be, and then it'd be fair. Or judo. Let's see. Listen to this email. This topic caused a stir. Stir it up. Mikey, I think these women trying to pass this admission. After omission, off as no big deal is reprehensible. Maybe this guy has strong feelings about divorce. Maybe he doesn't want to be attached to a divorcee. A lying one at that. She did not lie. Well, if she didn't tell him, Eddie says that could be a lie of omission. Absolutely. No wonder her... Such things. He says no wonder her first marriage didn't work out. Oh, snap. Bitter. This guy had every right to feel what he felt at this omission and to act according to his conscience, even if he just wanted a way out. He won Gregarious. Yeah, because the ladies were calling in going, well, he's a jerk. I just thought it was interesting that the ladies didn't see that he's not the one that did something wrong. Well, they are saying that he did something wrong if they're saying, I can't believe he.
Right. Well, no one is not, she is the root cause of this. Everyone is on the same page about that. But to bail out for two weeks is not husband material. Oh, wow. It's not. I don't know any woman who would want their husband to run away for two weeks at the first problem. But to not tell your new husband about, to not tell your soon-to-be husband. We've already covered that, Mike. That means that you're not. You're not wife material, right? We've already covered that. Are you not wife material? No, you are wife material. It's tough because she didn't lie about anything. But yeah, but she should have told him. And she did tell him prior to tying the knot. You're a menace. But he flew the coop. He bailed out. It's more than just a small little argument that they got into that he's bailing out on. This is a huge thing. Sky, you're a menace to society. It was 12 years ago. So what? She was just a baby. We all made him. I bet he did stupid stuff when he was 18. What if she gave a baby up for adoption when she was 18? Is that something that, whatever, it was 12 years ago? No. Who cares? Is that no big deal? No, that one is not. Like, who are you to tell him? No, I'm just saying he shouldn't bail. What are you saying? I'm saying he shouldn't bail. She's a menace. He shouldn't bail. If he really wants to be with her forever, he shouldn't bail. A husband doesn't do that.
They're not, he's not a husband. Well, he wants to be, or he wanted to be one. Maybe he doesn't anymore. Well, maybe he shouldn't. Because he's obviously not ready. Yes, sir. Go ahead. Okay. Once a lying whore, always a lying whore. He did lie, and she's not a whore. How dare you? You know her? Yes. Wash your mouth out with soap, sir. Skye is defending her. Skye feels like, well, because this guy's a jerk and he's a baby and an overreactor and a drama king. But it was something that was a big deal for him. He did what any right man should do, leave her in the dust. She was the cause of all this. She's the bad person here. She did bad, but I don't think... And if he doesn't want to be with her anymore, he has that right. Well, he does have that right. Skye, question. I have a question for Skye. I hate him. Question for Skye. He's the whore. I have a question. Mike in the back. My question is, who did the worst thing? Her for not telling him or him for going away for two weeks? Great question. In my mind, it's pretty equal. Are you crazy? It's pretty equal at this point. It's pretty equal. Rewind time. Let's get in the DeLorean. Everybody in the DeLorean. 88 miles. Here we go. We're going back to three hours ago.
Okay, now have a new take. Go. Go ahead, Skye. Now, let me ask you again. Who do you think did the worst thing? Her for not telling him or him for not calling for two weeks? I think it's about equal. Oh, no. We didn't get fast enough. We didn't get the DeLorean fast enough. Let's go. Everybody in the DeLorean. Now, try again. Let's try to get up to 88 miles an hour this time. Answer correctly, though. Sky, who did the worst thing, her for not telling him or him for going away for two weeks without a phone call? Are you talking about Lacey? P1 Lacey? Yeah, P1 Lacey and the guy. Think about it. Okay. Think, Sky. Who did it worse? Who was worse? It's kind of equal, Mike. Oh! In my opinion. They're both bad. That was rough the third time around, too. Wow. Didn't get any easier. Mike! I don't know what to do, Eddie. Well, he didn't do anything wrong.
Nothing. It's his feelings. I don't know any of this. It's his feelings. A husband doesn't abandon his wife. It's not a husband. I agree with you. But it's horrible husband material then. What about her? He wants to break up with her. Why is that bad? She screwed up. He doesn't want to marry her anymore. Oh, so no one's allowed to screw up. Not like that. Wait a minute. No one's allowed to ever screw up and make a mistake. How did she? How did she screw up? How did she screw up? But he's bad husband material. She's horrible wife material. Horrible. I disagree. You think she's good wife material? Don't do that. Don't do it. She's deliberately trying to make Eddie have an aneurysm. Don't you do it, Skye. Seriously. She's bad wife material. P1 Josh. Josh, you have the question that we asked earlier. So go ahead. Ask it again. Why is there a double standard? Would you be mad, Cy, if the guy... Not at all. I wouldn't even care. I wouldn't care. I would be mad. I would be upset. But if I loved my hubby and if I wanted to still marry him and I wanted to... If I loved my fiancé... You're sticking through thin, right, Scott? I would stick by his side. We would argue. We would fight it out. We would discuss it. It may take a couple days. But I would bail for two weeks and go to the strip club and put dollars...
and girls, G-Street, and drinks until all hours of the morning. Hold up, wait a minute. I don't know anyone's said anything about a strip club. I would be mildly upset for a moment. Then I would say, oh, it's for dinner. Ham. Well, we know what's for dinner. All right, who would be worse? A man for leaving for two weeks, no phone call, or a man stealing my ham. He ate the last piece. The last piece? Oh, really? The last piece of ham. Cut off two weeks, buddy. Never speak to you again. Again. Never! Stop it, both of you. Here's me going to the refrigerator to look for the ham. Ah, where's my ham? That's actual audio. That actually happened.
Scary. She really likes ham. What do you want from her? Likes. Understatement of the century. She adores ham. That ham's good. It's not my fault. When I was five and I lost my first tooth, mother put a ham under my pillow. The ham fairy. She said that the ham fairy came. The ham fairy's a little pig with wings and a wand. And he cuts off a piece of his belly and puts it under your pillow. He takes a little childlike tooth, and he takes a little knife, and he cuts off a piece of his fat belly. There you go. That'll slice for you. Then I woke up in the morning, I tear my little eye. I tear my little eyes asleep. I said, what smells so delicious? What is that? Why? Why? Why, I think it's a ham. I love you, ham fairy.
I love you. Never loved anything so much. What is that intoxicating aroma? My pillow. That's right. I still sleep with that hammy pillow. That's why I glaze my pillow every night. That's right. And a hammy dammy dingle dong to you. He won Rambo. Yeah, this chick's been, you know, holding this secret from this dude for like three years, and this guy takes two... Two weeks off. Yeah. Hello? Sky, what? Three years, two weeks? Three years, two weeks? Thank you. Sky! Three years, two weeks. Three years, two weeks. What's your problem? Well, she held a sheet for two years. I knew this piece of information the whole time. Oh, that's right. I mean, I've been here all morning. We can't get the DeLorean update here. She's not going to change her opinion. Yes, Eddie, you are right. Okay, perfect. No, no, no. Perfect. That was a sound effect that Sean played. Negativo. Did you guys know Zeth pulled his back out on Friday night? Eddie just rolled his eyes. Eddie rolled his eyes. He always has some sort of goofy injury. What's the matter with you? I am. You can see how. I mean, he's jumping over fences and he's awkward. Like something. Drink some orange juice or something. Eat a salad. What happened to you?
Well, at work, I have to, like, bend at these really odd angles to get the computer. Oh, what you doing, buddy? Hold up, wait a minute. Hold up, wait a minute. What you doing? All right. What's his name? It doesn't even work there, but it still sounds funny. It's still funny. As a fellow gay man. Oh, no, no. So what are you doing? Bend over again, Zethian. So what happened? You were getting some kind of computer out and that happened? Yeah, I had to reach over a rail so I couldn't bend my neck or anything. So I had to pull it up and my back just went out. I guess it happens. How are you feeling now? It still hurts. Hey guys, it's Dr. Wayne calling. It actually makes sense this time. Yeah, the reason I'm calling is I was listening to the radio show right now. And I heard Zet talking about throwing the back out, and I don't know if you guys know this, but I am a licensed massage therapist, deep tissue and Swedish massage. Nice. We knew. I have my own massage table. It's called my kitchen island. Wait, what are you talking about? Dr. Wayne.
I use my kitchen island as a massage therapy room. No, that's not normal. That's not sanitary. No, no, no. I play Yanni and Bjork on the overhead speakers. And I play very relaxing music and I light some candles and get to work. No, that's not sanitary nor professional. I lay down a sheet. That doesn't matter, Doctor. We need the kitchen. Yeah, yeah. Sorry if I gave you the impression I didn't do that. Hey, Zeth. How you doing, buddy? I'm doing well. I'll tell you what, man. Those back problems, you can't be too careful with them. Zeth, actually, I think you should actually take his pick up. You probably should, Zeth. You probably really should. If you want, I can pick you up. No, thank you. You don't want him driving. Chiropractor does that. Right. Chiropractor is committed to help. Yeah, that's a good one. That's right. A good chiropractor will always come pick you up. So what do you say, Seth? I could be there by, what are you off the air? 10, 10.30? What time? I don't know. All right. See you at 10.30. Oh, no. He's coming, you guys. Finally get to meet him. Yeah, finally get to meet Dr. Wayne. That'll be fine. Should be really, really fun.

I like cricket because when I walk into a cricket store. Yeah, what happens? Well, you're treated really well for onesies. Yep. Like right off the bat, they treat you differently than when you go to other places. Their whole thing is customer service. They take it seriously. They're not messing around. Yeah, like with other wireless companies. Right. If that's what you want to call them. Right. You walk in, you don't want to change your plan or change your...
phone or whatever, you got to sign like four more years with them on the contract. With cricket, you don't have to. Nope. Do whatever you want. That's for starters. Yeah. Joe Fleming. Thank you very much. Ladies and gentlemen, for Eddie and I. Yep. The heck was that? For starters. You're welcome. Was he mad when he said for starters? Yeah. Well, it was always a question about the equipment. Oh, yeah. That was it. He was a radio engineer and he hated to be asked any question about the equipment. When you asked him, he would take his gigantic Coke bottle glasses and adjust them. Oh. And he would go, well, for starters. You go, hey, Joe, this cart machine isn't firing. You know what's up? Yeah. He'd look at you and go, well, for starters. You have greasy fingers. It was always our fault. Also, you are probably abusing the equipment. Oh, well, you do do that. Which is true. And then we would go, okay, well, since that's starters, what else? What's seconders? Okay. So with that being said. Yes, good point. Skye, what is the website for Cricket Wireless? It's mycricket.com slash San Diego. You guys are brutal. We've got an easier ride on our freeways right now. In fact, things have improved quite a bit, especially this 805 northbound.
Looking real nice out of the South Bay. Still got some stuff out of Kearney Mace over the 52, but that's kind of the typical stuff here, so no surprises. Westbound on the 94, a good-looking ride into downtown. Your West 8 ride has also improved quite a bit. However, it does slow from Hotel Circle over to the 5 freeway, and that's because the 5 is kind of busy coming off the 8 into Mission Bay. There's an accident near the 52 now, adding to that slow stuff. West 52, good to go out of Santee. No worries. Southbound side of the 15. Looking nice as well at Escondido, just a brief delay through Carmel Mountain Ranch. As you make that westbound turn onto the 56 out, the 15, you're fine through Rancho Penasquitos, but the brake lights come at you right around Camino del Sur. And then from there, it's a slow one all the way to the 5. And the closer ride, South 5, staying quite tough out of Lucadia into Solana Beach. Don McLaurence on Rock 105.3. I actually like my glasses. And I look pretty good in them. But on this treadmill, they're a pain. That's why I'm so glad I discovered one day AccuView Moist brand contact lenses. You discovered them, AccuView discovered them, and I talked you into trying them. We're road warriors. You know, long days, lots of miles, working out at the hotel gym. I'd pretty much given up on my contact lenses because they were so uncomfortable. I was the same way, but running and working out in glasses is an even bigger pain. So after I beat him on a run one day... My glasses fogged up. I said enough is enough.
We're going to try One Day AccuView Moist brand. What a relief. These new contact lenses feel great even at the end of the day. And they've got Lacryon technology, a major breakthrough that embeds in moisture that stays in the lens throughout the day. Somebody read the box. The best part is that One Day AccuView Moist is a daily disposable lens. You just wear them once and throw them away. No cleaning, no mess. Now we have glasses days and contact lens days. Available by prescription only for vision correction. Ask your doctor if one day AccuView moist brain contact lenses are right for you. Although rare, serious eye problems can develop. Talk to your eye doctor about proper wear and care. Ask your doctor for important use and safety information or see AccuView.com. Something you may have missed this morning on the Mikey Show. I messed up all the wires behind our TV. Let's do that. In the living room. And I put my little brown hands back there. My little Mexican little dinky. It's so soft. My dainty little soft, little feminine hands. You don't belong back there. There's no fruit back there. Strawberries. What am I picking around back there? I thought there were. I'm going, is there any lettuce back there? Picking and picking and nothing. Nada. No lettuce, no cabbage, no strawberries. There was some cauliflower. There was a cauliflower back there. This was so strange.
Sold at the market. It was great. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. We're talking about I Am Legend. My friend Bo just saw it this weekend and liked it kind of, but had some... He was pretty critical of some story stuff. Like, well, I don't buy this and I don't buy this. But overall, he liked it. It wasn't a documentary. Right? It was not. When he pointed them out, I went, oh, I didn't think of that. And then I got mad and I said, why did they do that? Why don't they make... Why does he just do stuff the way it's supposed to be? Let me see. He said, this is a good question. Let's see. What happened between the helicopter crash and the three years when the movie took place? And that is, like, what did happen? Obviously, everyone is dying and everybody's turning into these monsters. They got the disease. It can't be like a 17-hour movie guy. So how did, like, doctor dude...
build that, like, big metal things in his house. He gave me 300 years. I can't build those metal things in my house. That's true. That's true, Scott. That's true, though. It's 842. A Scripps ranch mother died yesterday after she was hit in the head with a blunt object allegedly by her 14-year-old daughter. Padres had the day off yesterday. Going to start a series with the Nationals tonight at Petco. See if they have recovered from their 18-eating game on Sunday. So it was an antivirus that made them become zombies, right? Yeah. I am legend. I know. Well, he says... You didn't see I am legend? No. Probably scare you. It's good. It's scary. Don't give away anything. Will Smith is in it. I know that. Okay. Well, he says, how are they going to get the antivirus into all those zombies? It's not like they're going to sit there and be all still for an injection. Huh? See, that's confusing me, too. You mean after? After. After.
You know, after they... Because aren't you supposed to assume... At the end of the movie, like what happens after the movie, how are they going to treat all the zombies? Wait for the sequel. Yeah. One by one, I would assume. Yeah, your friend's upsetting me, Mike. Probably capture them. The nets. Big butterfly. All they do is stand around during the day anyway. It's not like they're running away. Maybe they can put it in gas form. Gas them. Yeah, gas them. What was the scariest one? How do they gossip, Skye? How do they do that, Skye? Shut up. Is that what they do? Are you all in there? Good. Hey, vampire, pull my finger. This is gross. Grow up, man. You're the one that said it. That's gross. Skye have fart jokes all the time. Sick of it. Gosh, grow up already. Knock, knock. That one doesn't even make sense, Rob. It doesn't have to, Scott. It just sounds right. What was scarier, the warehouse or the dock? Warehouse. The dock, man. Scared me. Yeah, I wasn't really scared by the dock. Are you serious? What? Come on. I wasn't scared by any of it. You were, too. You're a liar. You're a liar. I want to be Will Smith. I want to be Will. Do not. The last man on earth. I tell you guys all the time. You want to be him like when...
What about when he was hanging upside down? I wouldn't have put myself in that position, Mike. He would have had to try what he was trying. Why? I'm cool, man. I got my pad. I go DVD shopping during the day. Go back home. Watch the movie. Cook up some of my bacon I've been holding on to. Some of your bacon you've been holding on to. I've been holding on to the bacon. It's delicious. Watch the movie. I support that, Mike. Any pork products. Any. I don't care. Me and my dog, we're good. Really? That was pretty freaky when he was hanging upside down. I haven't been able to go back and watch it again. I really liked it, but it scared me. I really liked it. I thought it was pretty good. I know I bought Cloverfield on DVD and I haven't watched it yet. No way. Don't throw up.
It's so funny. So check this out. So you guys know Rebecca's friend, Lori. Yeah. Okay. So she's a little, shall we say, late on, you know, coming with the times. She got the email a little late. She has email now. She finally has email. She's got the email. Good. And she is now text messaging people. Wow. But she never, and I mean never, ever, ever, ever. watches movies, does not go to the movies, isn't interested in movies, doesn't like to sit still for that long. The movies that she does watch don't really do much for her. That's crazy. So we're all out to dinner and she goes, oh, and I just finally saw a movie, Mike. And I go, did you like it? She goes, no, it was so stupid. And I go, what was it? She goes, it's called Cloverfield. Have you heard of that? Cloverfield? Holy moly. I know it. Wow. Why, Lori, why? I go, what was it? And she goes, oh. Well said. I mean, come on, she said. Stupid things walking in the streets. And I go, you didn't think it was cool when he, like, tossed the Statue of Liberty's head down the street? And she goes, no.
Well, maybe not the style of movie that she... It's not her style. It's not necessarily realistic. It's not. But I thought they made it look realistic. Okay, but that dude hanging on to the video camera, taping it all the whole time while he's waiting for his life. Hey, somebody had to. Give me a break. Give me a break. Michael J. Fox filming that whole movie for crying out loud. Thank you, Mike. For goodness sake. Rob. What? Keep that thing steady for a second, will you? Just stand still for one minute. Seriously. They're running for their lives. Even when he's standing there, he's like... That's a serious disorder here. Can agree more, Mike. Scariest part of Cloverfield. Oh, come on. Stop it. Those movies aren't scary. In the subway. In the subway was scary, dude. Subway tunnel, Eddie. Wasn't weird when that chick started to do the thing where she was like, yeah. Also scary when they are jumping from building to building. That's what Rebecca said. That didn't bother me at all. Rebecca said she was coming out of her skin. Wouldn't that have been fun? No. I mean, you could die if you took a wrong step. How many times can I do that? 145 pounds is not going to topple the...
Two buildings. No. You don't know. Apparently. Scared Rebecca, too. They were very damaged. She's like, that thing's going to give. No. No. I get to see that. P1 Mike D. D. What's up? What's up, man? How are you guys doing? Good. Good, good. I just wanted to comment on I Am Legend. Yeah. That's actually based on a book. Here we go. Every time we talk about it, we get 50 people. Shut the front door. What? Get out. Omega Man. Omega Man. Wait a second. The Omega what? The Omega what? I can't believe it. That's crazy. Wow. Thank you. He had a point. Did Tito Ortiz win? No. Uh-oh. No, he did not. When he said he was going to. And he got his ass whooped. Dude. Did he really? Whooped. No way. This guy handled him. It was great. It was awesome. I'm so happy. What was the name of the guy that he fought? Loyoto Machida. He was good. Really? He's undefeated. First round? No, it went to distance, but Tito did nothing. Nothing.
And every time he would try to, you know, bring him to the ground so he could do something with this guy, he totally, I mean, he never got to the ground. Got out of it. Got out of it. I was so happy. It was awesome. And he got this fat cut. Probably was it the first or second round? Fat cut above his eye. Tito did. Which I think threw him off too. Blood everywhere. It was awesome. It was awesome. I almost got it. You know, I almost got it to see it. It was a great card. Great card, yeah. That was one of the better cards. Awesome. This guy. What's up? Don't ruin this for everybody else. I like cards. Especially ones with cats. Be cool, Skye. Skye, why are you doing that? I'm just saying. We're talking about cards. I got a cute one on my mantle right now with two cats. Stop doing that. It's black and white. It's black and white. He's trying to find somebody to throw at her. It's black and white. He runs out of stuff. He throws everything throughout the show. And then he runs out of stuff so he can start throwing at her. Here's a shoe. No. I don't need that big old shoe flying at my head. Zed? Whoa. Hey. It's not cool. I tell you guys, Zed got pulled over again Friday night. Shut up. How many times? How many times have you been pulled over, Zed? Mike. Like 149. Mike. It's got to be the same reason, too, right? Oh, yeah. Oh, my God. Because he looks like a skinhead? Yeah. Oh, that's good. Yeah, that's what I meant. That's what I meant. Totally what I meant.
it's not because he looks like an Aryan? Well, partially, I'm sure that catches their eye. Oh, they're like, oh, they're like, oh, a white supremacist. Yeah, that's what tips them off, and then the registration. And then they're like, oh, yeah, well, since we pulled you over as a white supremacist, how's your registration? And he's like, I'm not a white supremacist. I'm sorry. He's obviously under the influence. That's right, you're right. No, I just talk like this. P1 Corey. Hi, I just want to talk about the Tito Ortiz fight. He didn't get whooped. He was just eluding. Bro, come on, dude. He got one knee in. He got one knee in. Did you see his face afterwards? Bro, you did not watch the same fight. Hey, Keith Jardine got whooped. Yeah, he did. Keith Jardine, the king of mean, or the queen of, I mean, the dean of dream. Ah, the steam of.
Spleen. Who did he fight? Vanderlei Silva. Thank you. Tito fan. You got pulled over for registration? Why don't you just get your registration taken care of, Seth? Because the car won't pass smog. Why don't you get another car? Why a Hummer? If there's somebody rich listening, They should donate a car to Zeth. Seriously. That poor guy, man. Do you feel bad for him? I feel bad for me. I don't know. There's someone out there with a car. Oh, boy. Take it back. Eddie, take it back. Take it back. You answer. Zeth, you answer. Hello? Hey, hey, Zeth. How you doing? Oh, hey. What's up? Dr. Wayne calling in. I figured. I am a local chiropractor in the area, and I'm also a massage therapist. Okay.
Licensed in deep tissue and Swedish massage. Talk to him, Zed. You need a car, man. Zed, I have a brand new Camaro with your name written all over it. Yeah, this could be your sugar daddy. It's actually brand new to me. It's a 1979, but it runs. Well, what does Zed have to do for that? Zed just has to come over and let me give him that massage just to take care of him as a good citizen. So you're giving him a free massage and a free car with no strings attached. Not just that. I'm going to give him the full metal jacket. What's that? I don't know what that sounds like. It's a massage technique. I don't think it is. Yeah, it is. I work the torso and the back until the movie full metal jacket is over. Okay. Well, um. That is different. Don't you like the full metal jacket? Not what I was expecting. Creepy. I'll pick you up. We'll eat Rockin' Baja lobster, and we'll get back. It's happening. It should be really great. Seth. I really need my car. Seth is finally considering it. Text us at 35253. Mario Batali on the show this hour. I saw this band open for Van Halen. BTO. That's great. Eddie and B-Rob are going to sumo wrestling. I agree with that.

This is Budweiser. This is the great American lager. Anheuser-Busch, St. Louis, Missouri. Mikey Show, is this Ryan? Yes, sir, this is Ryan. What's up, Mikey? What's up, dude? I have a monster truck.
I went to AIS and they saved me. I had basically, I had just a regular car before I had this monster truck. I have the monster truck and I still save $600 every quarter, every six months on my insurance. That's pretty awesome. We were talking about this earlier because we had dinner last night with a couple of ladies from AIS. And it literally, and tell me the truth, Brian, if you don't have it, you can tell me. Do you have AIS or no? I do not. Okay, dude. Yeah. I'm talking to Brian who's in the studio right now. Hey, dude, so you save $600 every six months? Yes, sir. And, like, at first, I... $1,200 a year. I tried to hide my truck around the corner and just say it was a basic truck, and I started talking to them, and they're like, you know, what kind of lift do you have? And I'm like, it's... Yeah, I'm like, you know what? I got, like, a nine-inch lift, and I got, like, gas shocks and everything. They're like, don't worry about it. We'll take care of you. And I'm super stoked, because generally, if you tell somebody that, they're going to dock you, you know, at least a couple hundred bucks more. This company is amazing. Thank you for the call, Ryan. I appreciate it, bro. I appreciate it. Thank you, man. Have a nice day. Thank you. $1,200 a year. Ryan, I'm not kidding you, dude. Please do this today so you can talk about it tomorrow because I can almost guarantee you to save you money. How often do you pay? Every month or every six? Every six months. Every six months. That's what we do.

I know I'm a loud talker. Sean. I cannot stand to watch people cry. Boss and Rob. I have a whole... DVD collection of Red Sox stuff. And Ashley. I do my part to help global warming. On Rock 105.3. Y'all do it for the ladies. But I gotta keep a hood. Yeah, Polo. Welcome back. It's a Mikey show. It is 9.04. Director and actor Sidney Pollack died yesterday at the age of 73. Big Brown is said to be responding well to treatment of his cracked hoof. Painful. Welcome back. It's a Mikey show.
And this is one of my favorite songs. It's Usher in the club. It's on the radio all the time. It's on the radio all the time. You hear it everywhere. You hear it everywhere. It's crazy big. I've always said that. I heard it in church this weekend. You never hear it in church? You hear it everywhere. You hear it everywhere. The gospel version is great. That's right. They have different mixes. Yeah. You know, it just kind of bums me out. Ashley's supposed to be the person that keeps me on top of these kinds of things. I've asked her a million times if she can keep me on what's hip. And what do I get? He's so big. He's on the cover of the life section of USA Today. Yeah, no duh. That's what I've been saying for a month. Wasn't he on the cover of Entertainment Weekly this week? Yeah, no duh. The season finale of Saturday Night Live. Why do you hate, Ashley? I've been saying all of this for a month. What's up? And now you are all figuring it out. What's that? Give me a break. I don't remember any of this. It's odd. Wow. You guys are the worst. No recollection. That's true. Well, I wanted to make a song, a parody song to this song. Wait a second. Now, is that the song that you brought up like five times? Yes, every Monday meeting that we have. You said Usher Yeah. Yeah, I thought it was Yeah. It was Usher Yeah. I did not.
And I was like, but Ash, that song's like, do you know old? Why would we play that old song? Rob is hip and on the cutting edge of stuff. Rob knows what's popular. I do. If it weren't for him, you know, we'd be lost. Yeah, who knows? That's the truth. Peace out. We were like, Ash, come on. It's like two years old already. I never said yeah. I said in this club. And you know this. And you shot down the idea for the past month. You shot it down right in my face. That's right. And I remember that when Rob brought it up, I was like, I think that's a good idea because our audience knows that song. Yeah, it's everywhere. It's right in the age group. Awesome! So Rob wrote a song called In the Pub. How creative. Thank you. Thank you, Ashley. Maybe I'll let you sing backups next time. No, thank you. I think you'd be good. No, thank you. I think you'd be good at it. I'll pack? No. We'll get in the studio this week. It's all a little something in the background. Listen to these vocals. I was searching for a drink that would not make me want to fight. It's salty. Going halves on a baby. My fiance's getting lucky tonight. That's beautiful. Hope I don't pass out because I've been drinking all day long. What note is that? Yeah.
That's awful. Ashley, you could be on this track. Ashley's so irritated listening to it. You could be doing that. I wonder what Ashley's would have been. You'll never know. No way he's going to exist. And I'm still going to do it. For your MySpace page. For everyone but you. She's going to put it under MySpace, she says. I have no idea. Yeah. I don't know, he's just like rambling on the song. Be easy, back in the heezy, in the studio. My boy, FDZ, Fasheezy, Arizy, Reese's Pieces, Peanut Butter Cup. I don't even know. You should be embarrassed, Rob.
I know that mine is better. And you'll never get to hear that. I will, too, if I go to MySpace. So, too bad for you. I'll look it up. You're not my friend. You don't put my friend on MySpace. You can't even check it out. Who said that? Hold up, wait a minute. Wait a minute. That's a great idea, Mike. Maybe what we need to do, we need to have her make her song, and then we play them back to back. Oh, now you want my song? Yeah, now I want your song. And then we will have people listen to them. And now you're like, hey, Ashley, why don't you make the song now? Because now I'm realizing that it's popular. I love it now. Every time she imitates me, that's what it sounds like. Go in. Why don't you make the song now? She does that for everyone, though. That's true. That's also her Cartman imitation and...
Coincidentally enough, her Sidney Pollack imitation, which she did earlier. Too soon. Too soon. Wow. It's too soon. You're too soon. Way too soon. You are. You. Ash, I want you to write. Absolutely. In the club parody. Done and done. I think it's already written. It's already written. It should be already written. Done and done, Broseph. There you go. Fist bump. And then we'll check it out. Good. We'll check it. We'll check it real good. All right. Ashley's dad installed her wall unit in her bedroom. Wait. Weekend? I thought... Put an AC in there. AC wall unit. How did that happen? We put the kibosh on installing air conditioning in my place. So it's like a window unit? Uh-huh. It's pretty thick. How does it work? I've never seen this before, but it just goes in the window and you screw it in, you know? Like wood.
No, I meant like, you know, how to. Yeah, she's actually telling me that, you know, how the electronics. There's a remote, which is cool. You can set the temperature. I meant more like, you know. Well, the Freon bike. Yes, yeah. What it does is it goes through the Eon capacitor and then the. It has a remote and you can set a temperature. Is that good for the environment? Oh, no. I don't know. Is it? Is it not? Well, her condo is run by solar and it is electric, so I think we're okay. So then you can ruin the planet? No, that means she's not using any energy to run it. Yeah, but when it breathes outside, isn't it putting methane gas? Yeah, the Freon. Methane. Mike. How does it work? Is it keeping the room cool? Yeah, it's like a wall unit that... You can set the temperature on it. There's a remote and you can set it. I have it at 68. Yeah. And it keeps the room at 68 degrees. Is it really? And it's nice and cool in there. Yeah, it works real good. Look at you. So it's cool. You're good to go. What about your front room? And then my front room, what my dad added was he installed a doggy door for Sammy. And then what we're going to do is when I'm not using. You're going to put a little doggy door air conditioner that will work like a window unit.
But it'll be a doggy door unit. That'll be good to prevent flooding as well. That is correct. Because it can't stay, it'll all flow out. That is actually a really great point. So how do you like it? How do you like it? So what I did is I took the half-working glacier thing that was in my bedroom, this huge air unit, and I put that in the living room. And then the vent goes through the doggy door. So when I'm using that, I use that for the doggy door. And if not, then Sammy uses the doggy door. So, does it keep the living room nice and cool? It's okay. Like, I'd like to get a nicer, newer, fresher one. You need central air. But they're like 400. They're like 400 bucks. Dude, the air conditioning hole, like, I just put the kibosh in there. Like, what I would have to go through to get that installed was hell. Like, it's just so much work. I'm like, whatever. You don't just get a couple signatures, take it to the HOA and say, hey, there you go. It was like such a process. To do it. I'm telling you, man. And you know me. I'm like, what else? I can't live without it. Forget it. No way. I don't want to do it, Eddie. Just wait until about August, September. Yeah. It'll be fun. I know, right? Oh, I got to hear this. Living Lohan. What's the name of the show?
Yeah, that's Dina Lowen's new reality show. What's on the air? Yeah, E! debuted on Memorial Day that, as well as Denise Richards. They play back-to-back. Oh, no. I T-vote them, but I haven't watched it. You did? I got them both. Oh, yes, Mike. Let's listen. Here is the theme song to... There's a theme... Oh, there's a theme song! ...to Living Lohan. Lindsay Lohan's mom's reality show, cut eight. I'm not going to jam a bad record down her throat that she doesn't believe in to sing. The cop-out. The point is, when you say no, it's a no. It's better than you think it is. You're not getting that on camera. No, no, no, no. One of the things is, she says in that clip, that's the opening theme, and you hear her say, and you assume she's either talking about Allie, her daughter Allie, or Lindsay, and she goes, well, I'm not going to make her do a record that she doesn't, you know, if it's no... A jam. I'm listening to that, and I'm going, you know, record is a very, like, industry term.
Well, you know, she's a manager as well, Mike. Yeah. Well, because this whole show is about Allie launching her career into the music industry. So it's all about Allie. One more time, coming out of the record. Dina Lohan explains why she reads the tabloids when she wakes up in the morning. Cut nine. As sad as it is, every morning I have to get the papers, run in the house, have my cup of coffee, and read the tabloids. Why do you read like... The tabloids and stuff. Why do I read them because I may have to... It's interesting. The tabloids have gone so far. I have to stay on it because they can destroy my child's career. There's got to come a point where I have to call my attorneys and say, okay, enough. Oh, God. Everyone's talking about Lindsay's intervention. This is so... They better not start on Allie like this or there's going to be war. As far as myself, they can say whatever they want. I really don't care. But when it comes to my child, a lion protects her cubs. Ali Lohan, too young for a nose job. They're saying Ali had a nose job. I don't live my life every day going, oh, they're talking about us. Like, I'm over it. Sure, I'm human. Yes, it still does hurt, but people are just idiots. They're going to do that with Ali, Dina. They're going to do that with Ali.
It's because you're putting her out there. You want her to be a celebrity. What do you expect? That's what they do to celebrities. And nobody's going to say anything about you, Dina. No one cares about you. You're not doing anything in the entertainment business. But clearly you wish people would. You're putting yourself out there. It's almost like she's asking. Can you please? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's going to get bad. Denise Richards' show is called It's Complicated. And in this clip, Denise has a hard time at the DMV getting her last name legally changed from Sheen to Richards at 16. I need to change my name on my license. You want to watch the blue screen over there for this number? I have to change my license back to Richards. Do you have a legal document for that? I sure do. The judge didn't say that you'd be restored to the former name. My single name is Richards. I don't understand. Can I talk to the manager? Of course. Thank you. The judge must indicate it on the decree. That's stupid. Can I speak to your manager? Sure. I'm sweating and I'm itchy. Well, it has to be the original ordinance. This is a pain in the ass, though. If I got married again, I absolutely would never change my last name. You'll have to go back to the judge. Are you kidding me? This is a big pain in the ass. She sounds fun. Really?
Let's see. Can I speak to your manager? Because the policy is going to change if you speak to somebody else. See, that's the first thing that hit me. I go, oh, man, I am not a rule changer. If that's a rule, I go, oh, really? My response is, oh, really? Yeah. Like, oh, I messed up. I got to go do it the right way. Yeah. Either I messed up or I hear the rule and I go, oh. Like, I don't like it, but oh. Didn't know that. Didn't know. Now I know. But her instinct was, oh, oh, really? Well, I will take care of this one. So she's going to try to take care of that one. Sky said that the Alanis Morissette concert on the Today Show did cause a stir. They were talking about how it looked like she'd gained some weight. Yeah, TMZ was pretty cruel. I'm a surprise. Yeah.
It took her four years to write her new album. Wow. Cut 46. You said you spent some time over the last four years kind of concentrating on personal life and shaking the tree. What's shaking the tree mean? It is dealing with monkeys on back. You get them off? It's really been an unraveling in a great way. Sometimes unraveling can be scary, but just really unraveling and hitting rock bottom in a great way eventually once the Phoenix Rises, but while I'm in the thick of it, I write about it. In the thick of it, that's a little bit of a change. You've said in the past you kind of used the rearview mirror to write, and this time you wrote in real time. So as things were happening, you'd sit down and just start going. Yes, and the structure of having to show up at the studio is actually quite helpful for me. Having to show up made it okay. People are saying, and you know this is inevitable, people are saying this is Alanis' comeback album. Yeah, whatever that means. How do you feel about that? I consider it me coming out from under the rocks.
Every time I go away, I live and experience things and then I write about them and then sharing them publicly. It seems like I've been away, but really I've been adventuring and living and growing and growing up. Speaking of making new records, Mission Metallica starts today online. Metallica's new website. And this is Lars Ulrich talking about it. Cut 68. The idea is that, you know, every time you buy a CD, now you get the fly on the wall footage of making up a record, the additional thing or the bonus thing or the next level package and all that crap now that everybody throws at everybody. And so instead of kind of doing that when the record comes out, it's basically you're doing it as a countdown to the record. That's right. We're wooden shoes. So there it is. Skye, what is this Metallica, Mission Metallica? It's basically a website, missionmetallica.com, that they put together that allows you to go and you can hear little snippets of the new music, behind the scenes of them writing the new album, recording the new album, all that kind of stuff. They hope in a couple weeks to announce the title of the new album, which will be due out sometime in September. Time for another little something called the movie word association game. Seth, go ahead. Movies with a color in the title. The color purple. The green mile. Why don't you just name it colors? You gotta name it. I thought it was right. Sandalwood. Yeah. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. It's the Mikey Show at 9.31. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was the number one movie making $151 million since Thursday. The Red Wings go up two games to zero over Pittsburgh in the NHL finals. Eddie, how many stars out of five do you give to the movie Titanic? Three. Very close to me. I said two and a half. My gosh. Oh, my gosh.
Why is she freaking out? Two and a half. She's a little low. Ashley, what are you doing? What are your stars based on? Three out of five. So, Sky, your question is, why would I give it that many? Why would I give it two and a half? What's that based on? Well, I did think it had some pretty decent direction, but... Looked cool. I saw that movie three times in the theaters. I'm so sorry. How was that? It was fantastic. Somebody leave you there? Oh, my goodness. Like, what are the problems? They call CPS? Hey, hey. No funny business? You did that on your own. You paid them? No free will. Oh, my goodness. Yeah, it was my decision. You did it on purpose? Stop with your funny business. Completely intentional. Titanic, I thought was... What took away from it? Where are the negatives? I thought it was a little contrived, and I thought it was a little formulaic, and I thought it was a little like, oh, boy. It's a little bit of an eye roll for me. This is so, you know, I mean, give me a break with the standing on the, you know, standing on the front of the boat. Come on. I mean, it was a good movie. I gave it three stars. It wasn't great by any means, in my opinion. I thought the sinking of the ship looked good. Sky, do you give it five out of five? The water looked cold. Give him that.
Yeah. Whatever with that scene, by the way. Yes, I do give it a five out of five. Five out of five. Yes, I do. It's a perfect movie. It's a perfect movie. Yeah, like if I was reviewing movies for a paper or whatever, yes, it would be a five out of five. You wouldn't change anything. Well, I don't think anything is perfect. Too long. That was another thing. Very long. Get to the wreck already. The beginning, like that beginning part, like forever with the old lady and Bill Paxton. Yes, dude. Cut that out part, that part. Oh, I love that part. You did? Just get to the Titanic part. And then, like, we know the thing's going to sink. I don't know. Okay, great. And then after, we have to see her, you know, in pictures of, you know, she's all this independent woman. Good for her. What does Sean give it? Sean, how many stars out of five? I'd probably give it four and a half. Nice. You're a friend. It's real good. It was really, really good. Yeah, it was. Very well made.
Pisses me off that she let go in the end when the entire movie she was saying, I'll never let go. She sure did let go when it got cold enough. She completely let go. She let go when it got a little chilly. We met five minutes ago. I love you forever. Yeah, no kidding. Sometimes passion is intense. Ashley can attest to that. You mean love at first getting it on in the deck, underneath the deck, in that old car. Steaming up the old car. It's sexy, dude. Remember the hand on the window? That was so sexy. So dramatic. I loved it. Anybody remember that she was actually engaged to Billy Zane at the time? He was a creep, Mike, and she didn't want to do it. Her mom made her do it. They probably had no prophylactics. Yeah, no kidding. All those Irish diseases he'd brought over. Irish diseases? What does that even mean? He probably gave her a case of the old clap. The old clap. Get that stuff in steerage. The McHerpes. You guys don't get it. They don't get it. They don't know what love is, Sean. What do you mean we don't get it? Sky.
How many stars out of five do you give the movie? Why do I have to start? Yeah. Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King. Ooh. How many stars out of five do you give the movie The Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King? See, it's tough because there's a lot of fighting going on in that one. A lot of battles. Which is awesome. So five, right? Well, and I'm not a huge violence battle, you know, arrow through the head type of gal. Well said. Steve Martin. But I do have to acknowledge its brilliance. So I will say four and a half. That's an incorrect answer. Five is the correct answer. You're incorrect. Five is the correct answer. He's right. So that's a five for you. Oh, absolutely. Orcs getting shot. Not enough of that. Dude, there was like an hour straight of that.
Not enough. Frodo getting stung in the stomach by that spider and that spider freaking out and looking like a real spider when it got killed. The best. It's the best. It's the best. Four and a half. Ashley. Do you know what I saw this weekend? What? 300. Oh, really? You've never seen it before? What did you think of it? It was fantastic. It's so good. It was so good. Now, I would give that a five out of five. Oh, this makes me want to see it. You should watch it today, Mike. I am going to watch it today. Come and get some. Oh, that's great when he says that. It blew me away. The second I started watching, I was sucked in. Oh, yeah. It was so good. It's really, really good. Eddie, how many stars out of five do you give the movie The Matrix? The first one? Yep. The first one is amazing. Yes. I fell asleep in the middle of it. Oh, my gosh. Did you?
I couldn't even follow it. It's so confusing. What's going on? I know what's going on. How are you saying it? It's so confusing. I can't even follow it. I'm not going to sit here and listen to this. Thank you. I went blind. That has no place on these airwaves. It's ridiculous. Essentially, the second one fell asleep again. Oh, wow. Eddie, what do you give it? Give her the blue pill. It redefined movie making, I feel, in some aspects. It's a large statement, Eddie. It did. It is. I'll give it four and a half stars. Whoa! I myself give it four. I loved it. Sky? Cinco. Dos, tres, cuatro, cinco. That's five. You give it five? Yes. Five out of five. Five out of five. That is something that's on TV. I will watch it every time. You like that much as you like Titanic. Yes. These are movies that whenever they come on, I will watch them over and over, and I will enjoy them over and over. Five? And you don't like action. I didn't say I don't like action. I don't like violence. You guys are violent with each other every morning, you and Eddie. I don't like gory violence. What the hell are you talking about? Ashley, next one we're starting with you. Okay. You ready? Yeah. How many stars out of five do you give the movie?
Eight mile. Oh, wow. I would say I give that a three. Really? I give a three. I thought you would give it higher. I think I give it a three, too. Eddie? I give it a three as well. Hey, now. Skye? Yep, a three. What up? Funny rabbit. How about you people? Get along. I'm going to go old school on you, and I'm going to ask you, and this is our second to the last one. Eddie? How many stars out of five do you give an old school movie called Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? It's really difficult to give out fives for me because, I mean, that to me is like sacred ground that only a very few movies can get. It's damn close. Like, can I go 4.7? Really? Yeah. What's it missing that would give you a five? It lacked realism for me.
I can relate to that. The creepy boat scene kind of is a turn off. No, I mean, it's damn near perfect. I love that movie. 4.7. Yeah. We're just talking about it this weekend. I give it four and a half stars. What? Sky? Three and a half. Are you crazy? Oh, that's really... Are you almost cursed? I haven't cursed in years. I know it. I saw you. Why? Why would you say that? I almost said a real bad word. Shock and awe. There were boring parts. Boring parts. Oh, no. Sky. Oh, no. Grandma and Grandpa, they both all sleep in the same bed. Did you see him get up and dance? It was charming. He got up and danced. Everybody's dirty. I've got a golden ticket in my pants. It wasn't that.
It wasn't that. It was in my hand. Hate the boat scene. Like, hate it. Everybody hates the boat scene, but you love it, you hate it. No, I don't love it. I just hate it. You watch through your fingers. I just hate it. Towards the end, I'm like, is this over yet? Oh, great, we're going to go on an elevator. It's going to fly. What about the chicken gets its head chopped off? The boat scene. That's terrible, man. And it's with a cleaver. It's creepy. Oh, it's terribly creepy. Dude, no way. No way. That movie is timeless. That's an offensive thing to say. These are my feelings. Timeless. One last movie. All that food coloring in Willy Wonka's place. Sean, we will begin with you on this one. How many stars out of five do you give the movie Kill Bill, Volume 1? Easy, easy, easy, easy. Tread lightly, my friend. Tread lightly. I think the first one was my favorite of the two. That's right. Thanks. I'll give it four stars. I kind of like Empire more than I like Return. Really? Three and a half? That's weak. Oh, you're weak. Three and a half? Four. You can't be all willy-nilly. It sounds like you don't even care. Three and a half or four?
I'll give it a solid three. Think about that end fight between Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu in the snow. The crazy eights. When they come through, dude. Crazy 88. Crazy 88. The 88s, dude. When they're crazy. When they come in. No, seriously. I give it four. Oh, boy. Over you. Four and a half. I give Kill Bill Volume 1 five stars. Thank you, Mike. Five stars. Perfect. It's not perfect, though. Absolutely. It's close. You know? Would you put it in your top ten movies of all time? Absolutely. Kill Bill Volume 1. In my top five. 100% yes. Kill Bill Volume 1. Intensely good. Fantastic. I love you, Mike. Apocalypse Now. Definitely. Jaws. You know what? I think that I... We got to get into the conversation. I'm going to say yes on Jaws right now, but if Kill Bill Volume 1 has to compete... You would pick Kill Bill over Jaws. Kill Bill over Jaws. No.
Yeah, boy, they're tired. They're tired. Pulp Fiction? Think of it. I was just thinking about Pulp Fiction this weekend. I was thinking about Pulp Fiction this weekend. One of the greatest movies ever made. Kill Bill Volume 1 is pretty much flawless. Not as good as Pulp Fiction. It absolutely is. It's not as good as Pulp Fiction. It's different. It's different. It's like saying... You're putting it on the same level. It's like saying, is Wyatt Earp as good as, and you mentioned a movie that's so different, you know? Tombstone? Yes. It's pretty different. Goodfellas? I mean, these are the movies you're lining this up. The Godfather? Mike, don't let them talk you out of it. Mike, don't let them talk you out of it. Stand by. 4.9. Bro! I accept that. I accept that. Ashley's really disappointed because she thinks it's a five, and it probably is. It's not a five. I'm sorry, Quentin. It's good. Eddie, talk me out of it. It's a great movie. I give it a four or five. It's a five. Clued on Ash, dude. I'm going to write you a hate letter. I'll sign it, too. Sky, what do you give Kill Bill Volume 1? Be cool, Sky. Never seen it. Don't care to see it. What?
Man, I want to have a tantrum. Everybody. I want to have a tantrum. Have a tantrum, Mike. No tantrum. Have a tantrum, Mike. I don't want to have a tantrum. Pick him up, Seth. Pick him up. Pick him up. Pick him up. I'll rub his head. Rub his head. Rub his head. Rub his head. Oh, he's better. He's calming down. Lower buttock. Why has she never seen it? Eddie, that's not cool. Did you hear the movies you saw this weekend? That makes it even worse. I don't care for gory violence. How do you know it's gory? Because I've seen the previews. I don't know. I don't know any of this. Eddie, you give it a 4.5. 4.5? It's a great movie. It does not enter. I don't know that it is even in my top 20. This is hurting my feelings. Oh, that's not true. This is hurting my feelings. That's not true. That's the wrong answer. But there are so many more movies that are better than that. Wow. Including Pulp Fiction by the same director. I'd say they're equal. Pulp Fiction is better. No, it's not. They're equal. They're equal. Not even close. Kill Bill was intended to be one movie. It had to be two movies.
That Pulp Fiction's pretty good, man. It is. It's amazing. It's amazing. It was groundbreaking. See, I think Kill Bill was groundbreaking. Absolutely. Blending that animation with the way that he did the over-the-top, like, out of the top of the head. It's amazing. Let's see. Let's see. Dude, that was, it was, it was incredible. It was incredible. Oh, boy. Incredible film. Titanic all the way. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, B-Rob, I got a question. It's Mikey. You're on the air. Oh, okay, Mikey. Hey, did you guys already talk about the sharks? Oh, yeah, you know what? I got it on my list right here. In fact, I got the 911 call we got to do, and the shark attacks. The shark attacks were in Mexico. Right on, brother. Sky's a beating, and Ashley, close your mouth. And a Shyamalama ding-dong to you. Well, then I'm not going to tell you about the shark pack. You have to, though, Skye. Well, I'm not going to. But you should. He just called me a name. I know. He just called me a name, and then he expects me to share information with him. But then I shammalama ding-donged him. Oh, okay. I missed that part, so then we're good. Yes. So what happened Friday in Mexico, in southern Mexico, down by Acapulco, a Mexican... Oh, they've got that restaurant there, too? No, no. We just hated that, like, last week. It's a city. It's a city in Mexico. It's like you'd think it's a chain. They wouldn't have it there. Yeah, right next to the Olive Garden. Yeah, exactly. No. Habla!
Espanol. Thank you. A Mexican surfer was killed by a shark when the shark bit his left hand off and then bit his leg, breaking the leg and putting a huge gash in his thigh. Eddie, I'm not kidding. I believe that. The thought went through my mind. Really? It's the same shark. Oh, I don't doubt it. I don't doubt it. Really? The thought went through my mind. He's hanging around. He's feeding. Well, he went from here to there. Yeah. Because remember, there was a shark that was spotted in Mexico like a week after the shark attack here in San Diego. Yeah, it killed a California surfer in the northern part of Mexico. And now we're having attacks in southern Mexico. And so that happened on Friday. It's the same shark. Then on Saturday. Eddie, what do you think? Do you think it's the same shark? Oh, Eddie thinks it's the same shark. And then on Saturday, an American surfer from Texas was at a nearby beach where this fatal attack happened, surfing. Great. He's from Texas. He's got to be from Texas. Look at the guy. Can't even surf. Take the BMW, dude. Shouldn't even be on a board. You want to get somewhere? Get on the BMW. The shark. Grab the dude's hands. It's not about that, bro. It's not about that, bro. You're cool. You drive a Beamer. Dude, look at all the beautiful women you've dated, okay? It doesn't matter. That's true, dude. That's true. The kid pulls. The kid pulls. Lots of tail. That's true.
So the shark bit this American dude's hand, pulling him underwater. He was able to get his hand to the modus operandi, but had to go get about 100 stitches. Same shark. He said modus operandi. It seems so terrible. It's the same shark. I bet it is. Oh, okay. I'm going to save the 911 call and make you listen. I want people. I'm going to force you to listen. It's the same shark, Eddie. I bet it is. It is the same shark, Skye. It's the same one. This is no boating accident. I'm scared. There's only one out there. You're so stupid. Whoa! You're being a little extreme, Skye. I'm a little concerned about the same shark going around the waters and killing people, and you're over here acting like it's all willy-nilly. Well, it's fine. I'm not being all willy-nilly.
And you're worried about watching Kill Bill? There's more than one of them. In the ocean. Yeah, but there's more than one of them. Yeah, I realize that. You see that thing cut open? And see that little Ketner voice spill out all over the dock? Say it's a barracuda. People go, huh? You say shark. And we got to panic on the 4th of July. You're going to need a bigger boat. It's the same shark. Yeah. All right. You guys want to hear this 911 guy calling in, drunk driving report, calling in about himself? Yes. Cut 62. What are your points? I'm safe to be driving. Why wouldn't you be safe? I don't feel good. Not only did he not feel good, troopers say his breath alcohol level was a .18. Breath alcohol. More than twice the legal limit in Washington. I don't want to get in trouble, man. I just want to. Okay, well, you're going to get in trouble if you continue to drive. Pull over. Can you pull over for me, sir? Yeah. Can you pull over for me so you're no longer driving? I'm going to get in trouble then, too, aren't I? Okay, yeah. You're a dummy, but you've got to... Come on. Killing someone else is the last thing I wanted to do. I think I started feeling really guilty about being on the road. Oh, that's him? For whatever reason, I called 911. Can you pull over to the shoulder? I'm going to get in trouble then, too. Can you please pull over to the shoulder? It's not safe for you to be driving. You can get hurt if you keep driving.
You hear it a million times, but drinking and driving, it does not pay off. It doesn't? No. I thought I did. No, there's a misconception. I feel like you're never going to forget that. They almost say it pays off. Lest you think it does, it does not. I don't, oh man. He's just clearing, he's just clearing it up. Get over it. Let me keep hearing, Eddie. You're going to need a bigger phone. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 570-1053. When we come back, we're going to do a little P1 trivia. It's the music of Starfield. Well, first of all, the experience. The experience in the database. They hook up with all these other Amcos with guys that know exactly what problems are going on. And when they experience something that they don't know about, which isn't often, they can go on there and figure it out. Amco is the only place you want to go. It's Amco. Double A. Beep, beep. And as I wrapped it up, it was really, really riveting. Really riveting. It's a good one. Yeah, and so I just finished the last page and put the book down. Really wonderful. I love you, Michael. Really wonderful. Here's what we want you to do.
Call us at 570-1053 right now if you'd like to play P1 Trivia. Come on. Yeah. We don't get any chicks ever. Call. No chicks call to play P1 Trivia. Girl power. 570-1053. The idea is that a P1 is a Mikey Show listener. That's how Mikey Show listeners identify themselves. Like, you know, when we meet people outside the studio. That's what they usually say. They go, hey, man, what's up? I'm a P1. It means I'm a listener. I'm a Mikey Show listener. And so what is a P1? Well, it's a Mikey Show listener, but it's also somebody when they call in, they turn their radio down, get to the point, don't cuss. They listen for long, long periods of time to us on the radio. And what else? What else can we say about P1s? They're also pretty hot, Mike. Sean thinks that they're pretty hot.
We're looking for some new hot ones right now. Okay. I don't really know. That's different. Go ahead and call. Is he good on a webcam? What? Shawnee? Does anyone know what he means? No, I do not. I think he's talking in his sleep. I think so, too. I think you should call. Every once in a while, Sean will talk in his sleep, and we're not sure what he's talking about. Hey, Shawnee? Huh? How you doing, buddy? Good, man. We're right about to take calls for P1 Trivia. What do you think? Oh, excellent. Let's go ahead and take some. P1 James from Boston is on the line. Hi, James. Good morning, Mikey and crew. How you doing? How you guys doing? Good, man. James, how long have you been listening? How long have I been listening now? Four years? Four years. Four years. When the Sox won the series back in 04, that's when I started listening. James, how old are you, man? I'm going to be 38 this year. There you go. Me too. Hang on the line. P1, Ashley is also on the line. Oh. There we go. Hello. You go, girl. Hey. Like your name, like your style, like that you called in, like it all. You just like her name, Ashley. Be honest. You just like her name. Ashley, how old are you?
I'm 24. Oh, my gosh, me too. Oh, man. Like your age, like your name, like why you're calling in, like it all. You only like her name. That's the only thing about her you like. Ashley, how long have you been listening to the show? About three years. All right. That's like how long I've been on. Wow, that's amazing. You're like soulmates. You are the best. You guys are like friends. Dude. Okay. Let's go to Sky and ask a question. Who should start? It's up to you. I'm leaving it up to you. Ashley. Who called in first, Rizzy? James didn't. All right, James, you're up. All right, Mike. All right, the way we play the game is you've got to make it to five points. You've got one, two, three-point questions. Ones are easy, threes are hard. And you may begin, James. What do you want to take, a one, two, or three-pointer? Follow the money. Let's do a three-pointer. You haven't gotten it. Yeah. It's like pop, yes. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
All right, your three-point question is, what P1 is named after an actor on 90210? That's a toughie. It's actually a character. That's a better way to say it. What P1 is named after a character on 90210? Oh, no, no, no. It is an actor. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Yeah, that's correct. An actor. I'm going to give you five seconds, James. Sorry, brother. It's P1 Joe E. Tata. It's his music bed right there. It's his theme song. Now we go over to P1 Ashley. Hey, baby. Ashley, what are you going to do? Two-pointer. Two-point question. Your two-point question is, who on the show once gave a goat as a gift?
A goat as a gift. Who on the show once gave a goat as a gift? Well, um, Eddie? That is extremely incorrect. That sounds like something he would do. What in the world? No. I give out chickens. Those are good too, though, Eddie. In a very humanitarian move, Sky gives goats to people in need in communities in faraway lands. That can use the milk. Yes, and I donate them in other people's names for, you know, special occasions. So a little family in Botswana will get a goat and it'll say, from Eddie to you. And they will be like, wow, that Eddie's super cool. And it actually came from Sky, but she put it in Eddie's name. And they chop its head off and eat it. That's right. They roast it in an oven.
That's delicious with limes or with a little mint sauce. I'll just calm down. All right, P1 James from Boston. What are you going to do? I'll go with a two this time, Mike. Two-pointer. What was the name of the most recent best of CD? Oh, what do you think it's going to be? Ashley, why do I hear you whispering? Me? Yes. Isn't it run like hell? Yes. Sure is. Does Ashley think she's talking like the Dave Shelley and Chainsaw show? What does she think? I'm starting to know. Well, that question was for James. It was even for her. That's not even close. I don't know really what to say. Ashley, why are you answering that question incorrectly? Incorrectly. That question was for James. Oh, what? Oh, man. Who are you whispering to?
Me? I'm not listening to anyone. I'm at work just trying to tell them I'm on the phone. Oh, you were just telling people. Okay. I thought you were like discussing the question or whatever. She's just telling people at work. All right, Ash. I'm on the phone here. What's going on with your girl? Yeah, Ashley, this is like. I got to talk her. I got to talk her. Yeah, maybe give her a little talking. All right, Ash. What you going to do from. Yes, I'm on the phone. What you're going to do from here on out, Ashley, on the phone, is you're going to want to just be real quiet until it's your turn. Oh, wow. That's kind of a rough way to tell her, though. When it is your turn, then you talk. If not, then they're going to start getting mad. She lacks social graces. And it can get ugly. And I don't want anyone to be mean to you because they like you. I'm on the phone. Okay, James. I'm going to give you the answer to the question, by the way. Furry Up was the name of the CD. Was it Run Like Hell? It was not Run Like Hell. Now, the name of the CD was Furry Up was our best of CD. So I'm going to give you another two-point question. Okay, Mikey. Who on the show does endorsements for pajamagram.com? Sky. That is correct. James from Boston is finally on the board. It's two to nothing. Ashley, back over to you. You want a one, two, or three-point question? Two. You want a two-pointer? Come on, girl. Your two-point question is what member of the show says...
I'm whipped and I love it. That is correct. We have a tied game. I am whipped and I love it. There it is. James from Boston. What do you want? A one, two or three pointer? Another two pointer. Your two point question is what is the next Eddie and B-Rob challenge? That would be She's talking about this to my wife. You got it. Hold on. You got it. You got it. Let's work through it. Maybe it's a Boston thing that you take about four hours. Yes, I think you're right. It's a nine-month thing. Because it's the time difference. Oh, you got to wait three hours and then... Oh, I get it now. You got this. That's sumo wrestling. That is correct. That is correct. What are you talking about, dude? What is up, guys?
What is he? He's only one point away, right? He's only one point away. Awesome. Now, Ashley, you could either win the game right now with a three point question or you could play it safe and try to tie it with a two or you could take the real easy road and just take a one pointer. Oh, no, we're going for a three. You're going all the way. You're going all the way. Your three-point question is, who won the dance-off during the 28-hour show? Oh, let me see. Let me think. Sky? That is correct. Remember that lyrical thing you did? Yes. Creepy. Christmas of the dark. Shut up. If you want James from Boston, of course you can come in with it. Yes. Nice. Of course you can come in with her. You're a great P1 dude. Awesome. So, Ashley, you win. You get to come hang out with us in the studio. Yeah, girl. And James, you win too, so hang on the two of yous. Ashley really likes her. I make a lot of that girl. Good thing. She's got a lot going on for her. Good thing she's not P1 Wilma. She would not have been as popular with our girl Ashley. Okay. Mario Batali, we don't know. We don't know what happened with him.
It's supposed to be on today. And wait a second. I'm sorry. I don't like being stiff. I don't like being stiff. It makes me mad. It makes me mad. I'm sorry. It's not his fault. Sky has the new releases that are coming out today, and I'm talking about CDs and video games and movies. And Kathy Lee clothing. Kathy Lee Gifford's new line of clothing. She'll mention if there's new releases in that department. That's right. Okay, new video games out today. We have Enemy Territory Quake Wars for Xbox 360. Never heard of it. And then we have a lot of games out for the Wii today. The rest of these games are for the Wii. Dr. Mario Online RX. Everyone's Pokemon Ranch, Death Junior, Root of Evil, The Monkey King, Emergency Heroes, and Kawasaki Snowmobiles. All for the Wii out today. All right. New music out today. Usher with Here I Stand. This is Love in This Club. Love in This Club. Featuring young Jeezy, Mike. There you go. I have all his records, too.
Awesome. Also out today, we have the original motion picture soundtrack to Sex and the City. Oh, come on. Barf. Barf on you. What's on you? All original orchestra music? No. Fergie, Jennifer Hudson. Barf. Al Green featuring Joss Stone. Walk This Way by Run DMC and Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. We have that one. That's great. That's on the Sex and the City. that. Well said. Or not buy it. Okay. And then finally out on CD today we have after 12 years of waiting. 12 years. We have brand new material from Cindy Lauper called Bring Ya to the Brink. She had a record in 1996? I guess so. Who knew? Where's Captain Lou? Yeah. He'd sing better than this.
What's the name of the song? All the same old stories. Cindy. Wow. Not cool. Sounded good, man. Yeah, sure. With a touch of F-bomb right in there for you. If you're in like a late night Hillcrest club, I think that's probably going to hit. Like gay guys are like, that is gay, man. All right. New DVDs out today. What do you have? Come on. We have Grace is Gone. John Cusack. Oh, you know what? That movie looked good. That movie actually looked good. I saw the previews on it on Apple TV. It's an independent movie. It's one of these ones where when they start the preview, they show like five of those indie awards that it won. This award and this award and this award and this award. It actually looked really good. Also out today, we have Cassandra's Dream. Oh, my goodness. It's a Woody Allen film with you. Rainbow was coming up.
Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell. What's out today? Rambo. Is Rambo out? Yeah. Oh, no. Oh, no. Eddie, it's okay. Eddie, are you saying... Does she not go in, like, the order of importance? Well, maybe... To me. You don't... No. Wait a minute. Now, wait a second. That means that you think, and this is your opinion, apparently you don't think that Grace is Gone is a bigger movie than... It won an Indy Award, didn't you hear? Hello. Didn't you hear about the Indy Awards? Or that second movie she talked about, The Flight of Temecula or whatever that was. What was that other movie that came out? Cassandra's Dream. Yeah. That's bigger than Rambo, right, Eddie? Sounds the same. I don't know any of this. Well, if Eddie wants to jump ahead, yes, Rambo is out today. And it also has deleted scenes. You know?
I mean, come on. Behind-the-scenes segments. I mean, what's the point of this segment if we're not going to do, like, the big releases first? What about this, though? What about that, though? Okay, did you ever think about that? Fine. That's all I'm saying. I think we all were thinking that. Sounds gay. Also out today, we have Cleaner with Ed Harris. Hello. I know. What happened? What happened? Okay, TV shows to DVD. We have Absolutely Fabulous. Absolutely Everything. This is the all-gay releases. Is this really happening? Lipstick Jungle Season 1. And Degrassi, The Next Generation Season 6, out today. So, enjoy. That's it. Sky also wanted people to know that Mac has a new foundation out today. Finally. Yeah. Wow. I guess I was a little confused on the Rambo one. Well, you know what? It's all right. I thought they were re-releasing the original with... That's why I was going to save it till later. No. I thought it was, I guess, special. Hey, listen. I mean, it's just called Rambo? It's a mistake. I mean, what was the first one called? I thought it was... First Blood. First Blood. Oh.
They should have just called the first one Rambo, and then everybody would understand. And then this one could have been like, Rambo, I'm an old guy. You just said you watched Rocky Balboa this weekend and loved it. Well, yeah, but that was on HBO or something. It's okay. Fine. I didn't pay to watch it. Sky. I was confused. I apologize. I thought it was re-releasing the original. I didn't know. Sky, what do you got in terms of box office totals? What do you got there? Start with number 10. Okay. Number 10, The Visitor making $800,000. Number nine, Harold and Kumar escaped from Guantanamo Bay making $900,000. She's running them down. Number eight, forgetting Sarah Marshall making $1.7 million. Number seven, Baby's Mama, $3.3 million. Number six, Maid of Honor, $3.4 million. Number five, Speed Racer with $4 million. Number four, What Happens in Vegas with $9 million.
Number three, Iron Man with $20.1 million. Number two, The Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian with $23 million. Number one, Indiana Jones, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull making $101 million. Just in the last three days? Well, just over the weekend. That's when they're open, right? It came out on Thursday, so if you go Thursday all the way through Monday, it made $151 million. Oh, shit. Yeah, that's a lot of money. You know that thing probably costs... $250 gajillion. How much did it cost, Eddie? Do you know? I don't think it was. It was probably $150. That's a lot of dough. They made it up one weekend. That's a pretty good pull. We should make a movie. Mikey Show. Hey, what's going on? What's happening? Hey, I want to ask Scott why she's such a beating. I'm not. It was a mistake, Clown School. I thought that it was a new release of the original Rambo. I didn't know it was a new release. You knew that the movie was out there, though. Yeah, but I didn't think it was just called Rambo. I thought Rambo was the first one. It's a mistake. Yeah. That doesn't make me a beating. I'm sorry I'm a girl. I have a vagina. I don't worship Rambo. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I don't have testosterone pumping through my vein. It hurts, but it feels so good.
So there you go. You're a dirty girl, Scott. I love ham. I know you like him. I love him. Man, we hit everything today. Am I missing anything big? We covered it. We did. We got to it eventually. Oh, I want to know about this. Hillary is in trouble because of these comments that she made. Do you know about this, Sean? Yeah. Yucky. She made some comments. I don't even know what it is. All I know is that it has something to do with RFK's assassination. Yes. That's all I know. I don't know what she said. Do we have the actual clip of what she said? I think it's cut four. Yeah, I think so. Let's hear it. There has been this urgency to end this. And, you know.
Historically, that makes no sense. So I find it a bit of a mystery. You don't buy the party unity argument? I don't, because again, I've been around long enough. My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June. We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. Okay, now she's making a point about... You know, where he was in his life in terms of how he was running and that kind of stuff at the time of his assassination, right? I think that her point was that he was assassinated. And therefore, if the individual that was running against him had dropped out, there would have been no one to fill the void. So if she dropped out now and Obama was assassinated, then everybody would feel real dumb.
Oh. That's really creepy. Yeah. Really bad. Really bad. Well, she apologized for it. Here she is apologizing. Cut five. I, you know, regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation, and particularly for the Kennedy family, was in any way offensive. This is what Barack thought about it. Cut six. Well, I mean, I think it was an unfortunate remark. But as I said today, I think that when you're on the campaign trail for 15 months, you're going to make some mistakes. And I don't think that Senator Clinton intended anything by it. And I think we should put it behind us. I think it's another indication that she can't run the country. Barack, what did you say behind closed doors? That she was a filthy animal. This is pretty good. We've all been there.
This is Liz Trotta from Fox News, and she made a mistake herself while talking about the story. She referred to Barack Obama as Osama. That's happened. We've all done that. I do it all the time. Most people don't. Happens. Most people figure it out. Cut seven. And now we have what some are reading as a suggestion that somebody knock off Osama. Both if we could. Talk about how you really feel. But do you really think... Both if we could? I mean, I can understand saying that about Osama, but you're just saying... Yeah, it would be cool if somebody assassinated... Skye, it's totally okay for her to say that. No, it's not. But it sounded like she may have been black, and if you're black, you're allowed to say that. No, I don't care. You're a white guy, you're racist. No, I don't care. If you're a white guy, you're going to jail for saying that. That was really weird. That was horrendous. Ew. That was Liz Trotta. Yucky. Imagine if she had a son and named him Globe. That's a good one. Ashley doesn't know what a Globetrotter is.
Yes, she does. She does, too. She has to. You do, too. You do. Yeah. I'm using the Jedi mind trick. It's not going to work on me. You know what a globetrotter is? Globetrotter? What's the spelling on that? What are we talking here? Oh, man. A globetrotter, you know, like the Harlem globetrotters. The what? Uh-oh. Come on. I don't know any of this. Stop this. Stop this. Stop the madness. They do basketball tricks. Yeah. With their hands. They're fun. They're really fun. I think we've hit it all, you guys. Seriously, I'm looking at this list. We hit everything. Hit it. Scott Dixon won Indy 500. Danica Patrick tried to, you know, fight some dude. Driving's at an all-time low. Because of gas. I just looked at everything. We hit it all. We got it all, dog. Excuse me. I know we're doing the advertising for it, but I ain't going to see that Liv Tyler movie. That thing looks scary.
You guys seen that? What is it? The Liv Tyler horror movie? Every time I hear the commercial, I get scared. That sounds scary. A bunch of scary movies are making a comeback right now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's called, uh... Strangers or something like that? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, we play the commercial. It's that real creepy one that we play. She's gonna be in The Hulk. She is? Yeah. The one with, uh... Ed Norton. Ed Norton? Yeah. Does that one look any better to you? It definitely looks better. The first one was stupid. Real big turd. Yeah, you'll have to remind me when that one comes out on DVD, too. That gets confusing. She might think it's a reissue, is what she's saying. I would help. They do that. It's called The Incredible Hulk. Oh. The other one was The Hulk. Oh, different. 570. Just asking for a little help, bro. 105.3. That's our phone number. Give us a call at the beginning and end of every show. Do open phones. And you can call about anything you want.
So give us a call. Mikey Show. Oh, my goodness. Stop it. Make him stop staring at me. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey. He's just staring. Oh, wait a minute. Now he's drawing an arrow. He's shooting Sky with an air bow and arrow. Gesticulation right there. That's... A gesticulation. Yes, go ahead, please. Hey, brother, I had a furry party over the weekend, and Sean left his panda suit there, and I don't know how to get back. That would never happen. That would not happen. First of all, he would never leave it there. He would never take it off. Is he still there? No, he's not. He's signed off. Oh, man, okay. I don't know how to send it back to him. But anyway, this is P1 Matt. Thank you. Hey, Matt. Hey, Matt. Hey, Matt. Hey, Matt. Mikey Show. Hey, it's P1 Arturo Fuente. Hi, Arturo Fuente. Hey, good seeing you guys against the sticker strike. Hey, I was just wondering, what do you guys think of Adam Sandler's new movie, the previous four, You Don't Mess With a Zohan? Oh, man. Eddie. I think it looks terrible. Oh, no. Yeah. Are you serious? I read the, like, what it was going to be about, and I was like, this has potential to be really funny. And then when he's doing the slapping with the foot thing, I'm like, I'm out. I'm out. What are you guys talking about? Slapping with the foot? Like he's fighting some guy?
And then the next thing you know, you see his foot, like, slapping the guy in the face while he's, like, standing. That sounds dumb. Yeah. It looks terrible. It looks brutal. I don't know. Dude, why? Are you in on Arturo Fuente? It looks good? Yeah. My wife and I saw the previews. We're both in on it. We both think it was hysterical. It could be. Let us know how it is. Let us know if it's any good. I won't be there. And four good buddies. Thank you, brother. Over and out. Mikey Show. Hello. Hey, Mikey. I just wanted to say I had a friend pass away. About a week and a half ago. Just wondering if everyone could pray for him. His name is Justin O'Toole. Thank you, brother. He's a really good guy. For sure, man. Thank you, dude. I appreciate the phone call. Thanks a lot. P1 Ashley won P1 Trivia just a few minutes ago and has a question. Well, Chris is on Saturday and so is yours. So when I come in Friday, I was wondering if I should bring a steak. If you should? Yeah. Yes, you should. Me too. Eddie is shaking his head no. I like your name. Oh, that's right. I like the fact that you won. I like the fact that you're coming in, and I like that you bake. There will be a cake. Deborah always makes cakes for birthdays. You guys know that? That's right. Well, I'll bring a cake in for Mike. I just said. Deborah. Well, I'm bringing in one too, duh. That's what I do. That's what I do. You can bring cakes if you want to bring cakes. I mean, you know, cakes are sweet. That's a sweet thing to do. Yep, they got sugar in them. That is a very nice thing to do, Ashley.
Okay. You're a nice person. Thank you very much. Okay, bye. Now that she's off the phone, though, I can tell you I will be having Debra's cake. I'm just going to say, you know. In line. Of course. Of course I will. Mikey Show, hello. It's Laffer Guy. Hi, Laffer Guy. Hi, how are you? I'm good. How are you doing? How are you doing? I do good. Very good. How are you today? I'm wonderful. How are you doing today? I'm good. You sound good. Very good. Thank you. much. I appreciate that. What are you doing today? I do nothing, man. Just fucking give me three egg rolls. Thank you. Appreciate that. Thank you very much. It's a shout out. I'm scared. Mikey Show. Hey, Rob. It's Travis. Hey, Travis. It's Mikey. You're on the air. How are you? Oh, my goodness. What are you doing? Nothing. I need to give a shout out, man. Go ahead. Well, T1X... Tina is not talking to me, and I just wanted to let her know how much I miss her and care about her. What did you do? She doesn't think I'm serious about me and her, and I just wanted to let her know on the radio. Tina, are you serious? No, he is not serious. He is not serious. Pay attention. What's up? Are you serious? Yes, I'm serious. Why does she think you're not serious? What did you do? He doesn't think I put forth the effort, but that's what I'm trying to do.
Oh, man. Let me tell you something. Xtina, if he's not putting forth the effort now. Oh, man. Trust me. He ain't putting forth effort later. Talk about it. They're not helping. Well, yeah, but the deal is, Eddie, I mean, you've got to put forth the effort beforehand because we all know what we do as guys. He's learning. We all know what we do as guys once you're married. Please. Are you 14? How old is... How old are you, brother? I'm 24. 24. A pup. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But at 24, you should be doing all kinds of stuff. Look at that idiot back there. I know, but he's an idiot. You know that. Oh, come on, man. I just want San Diego to know that. Is that your girlfriend or what? Yeah, what is the deal with you and Xtina? What's the deal? We're talking. We're, you know, in the works. Uh-oh. That's a bad move right there, sorry. I want Rob to clear the phone lines right now and find Xtina. Yes. You know what? Your answer should have been there, bro. I want her to be my girlfriend. I do want to be my guy. Oh, now you say it. Oh, come on. Dude, come on. We're just talking. We're talking. No wonder she doesn't think you're serious. Come on, guy. You're a real hooker. Doesn't make me a hooker. You need to figure it out. I'm a hooker, too, because I'm telling you. Listen, but when women have the complaint, he doesn't do anything, blah, blah, blah. Well, first of all, Xtina, there's a couple ways you can look at this.
One way is that your P1 what? P1 Travis. P1 Travis. One way you can look at it is, listen, Travis is Travis. Travis don't do stuff. So you've got to figure out, do I like Travis enough to put up with the he doesn't do stuff? But if she's already saying I'm out on you, that means she has made her decision. Her decision is, no, I ain't going to put up with him. I need. some stuff like effort. But I'll tell Xtina this. He's not going to like... If he does some stuff right now to make effort, it'll last a little while and then... Yeah, I told her that if she's not talking to me that I would profess how much I care on the radio. Yeah, it sounds to me like she's maybe just not interested anymore or something like that. I'm just saying. I'm not saying in a mean way. I'm saying in a nice way. That maybe she's not interested? Yeah, because... I mean, if you're saying that you guys are just starting out and that you said that if she stopped talking to you, you'd do this, like, maybe you should maybe take the hint instead. How long have you been hanging out? Well, we've been just, you know, we've been friends for a couple months. I mean, and we just started getting serious. But, you know, I just wanted to let her know over the radio, you know, because I told her I would. I just feel bad and, you know.
I really care about her. And she said, no, I'm out because, like, what? What were you doing? She hasn't said anything. Well, she's not returning my phone calls, first of all. Oh, wait a minute. I didn't get that. I didn't get that. Oh, that's the deal. She just kind of, like. We should call her. Yeah. Hang on the line. Hang on the line. Rob, get some digits. Figure this all out. Get some digits. But do you know what I'm saying, though? I didn't realize that she just, like, stopped talking to him. Sounds to me like she just might not be that into him. But he claimed she said it was because he's not putting forth enough effort. Which is it? Which is it? Well, she said you're not putting forth enough effort, and then she stopped talking to him. Yeah. Is how I interpret it. What if we give him the benefit of the doubt, and maybe she's just annoying? Well, then why is he calling to do this? Because he's stupid. That's giving him the benefit of the doubt. Thank you. Now I want to know. Oh, so bad. I want to know so bad. Rob's calling her right now. He got her number. He's going to get her on the line. This is important stuff, Mike. Mikey show. Hello? Now we got two of them. You got her? You got her? All right. Xtina, you there? Yeah. Okay, we got... Hey, Xtina, how long has it been since you've talked to Travis?
Um, I texted him this morning, but I talked to him yesterday. You talked to him yesterday. Yeah. So, uh, Travis is 24. How old are you? I'm 19. You remember? That's right. I was in the studio. That's right. So, Xtina, so you did like Travis. Things were going okay. Things were progressing, right? Well, yeah. I talked to Travis a lot because he did, he worked for another construction company, so we'd see each other all the time. Mm-hmm. He kind of like put me on the back burner and then stopped talking to me. Like I called him a million times, you know, tried to text him, tried to get to talk to him and totally completely shut me down and ignore me. Right. And then all of a sudden, like a couple of weeks ago, called me out of the blue, like wanting to see me. So I wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, stop, stop. When he did that, had you stopped texting and calling and coming around?
Yeah, I was like, you know what? I put forth my effort. You know, I did my best. Yeah, that's why he started again. So then out of nowhere, he called me and wants to see me again. And it was just, you know, wow, well, why couldn't you talk to me then? Let me get Travis on the line. Thank you. Because I don't want to talk behind his back. Travis, are you there? Okay, Xtina. Yeah. I want you to know that as soon as you start to show him attention again, he'll... Go out again. Right. He'll be out as soon as you start to show him attention again. The reason that he called you and wanted you back is because he loved the attention and it was gone. So he wants it back. I thought that too, but then I was like, nah, I don't want to say that. That's like an assumption. He was seeing somebody else? Yeah. Okay. And so what about now? Are you talking to me? Yeah. No, I'm not talking to anybody. Now you're not talking to anybody? Well, Travis, so... When you stopped calling Xtina for a while and stopped returning her call, she says you were seeing somebody else. Is that true? Yes, that's true. And what happened there? Did that chick not want to be with you anymore, or how did that end? You know what? I told her this. I didn't want it two times. You know, I obviously felt really bad, and I don't know. So how did it end? Did she leave you, or did you leave her? She left me. So get out of here, Xtina. Run. Run from this one. So Travis now wants to be with her. I agree with Skye.
Travis wants to be with Xtina because the other chick left him? Yeah. No, she deserves better than that. She deserves somebody who wants to be with her. You don't want to be backup. You want to be number one. But he wants her to. He wants her to be. You want to be number one, bro. Totally not like that, though. She is now. It's Eddie. Totally not like that. Because the other chick left. It's not like that. Listen to Travis. Well, Xtina, there you go. Isn't that romantic? Sounds like a masculine heaven to me. This is all really sentimental. It's very sentimental. It's very romantic. Xtina, give him a break. Xtina, you could do better. No sense. Thank you, Xtina. Thank you, Travis. Thank you, Xtina. But just playing games, you know. You don't need no games. We're all adults here. Love in the club. Lovely and talented Missy is up next. I'm sure Travis is rethinking the whole call. He's like, yeah, that worked out, right? Proclaim my love. Dude, don't you know we're going to dig? I mean, you know we're going to dig. Today on The Nooner, Missy has your all-request lunch hour. We'll be back here tomorrow morning, and we'll do it all over again starting at 5.30. Tomorrow's Wednesday, if you can believe that. So weird. All right. We'll see you later. The Mikey Show's out. Love your mouth.
