Mikey and the crew turn Ashley's panic over Sammy eating nine chocolate-chip cookies into a live welfare check, sending Zeth to the apartment until he confirms that the dog is alive. The strongest argument begins with P1 Straight Edge's email: Eddie and Mikey say testing can follow broken trust but question a random test, while Skye argues that routine testing breeds mistrust and draws a line between pot or alcohol and harder drugs. Michael Emerson discusses how Ben became central to Lost and carefully teases the season finale, while Usher's unscripted TRL rant has the cast marveling at his determination to defend his wife and family. The show also tests Jessica Simpson's country turn, debates how to handle close talkers, and watches most of the cast fail a California driving quiz. Later, the crew weighs Chickenfoot's mismatched lineup, a poll favoring same-sex marriage, an armed-store-owner shootout, and the standards for entering its P1 Hall of Fame.
What happened, in order
Sammy Eats the Cookies
Ashley admits that her puggle Sammy ate nine chocolate-chip cookies, prompting the crew to send Zeth to her apartment, where he eventually spots the dog alive through the dog door.
The Home Drug-Test Debate
An email from a drug-free student whose parents threaten to withhold college money sparks a long argument among Mikey, Eddie, Skye, and Ashley about trust, rules, punishment, and parental authority.
Ben from Lost
Michael Emerson explains how his three-episode role as Ben grew into a central Lost character and teases a violent finale with explosions, broken machinery, climate changes, and casualties.
Usher Hijacks TRL
Usher repeatedly interrupts a TRL host to deny separation rumors, defend his wife, reject claims that she caused him to fire his mother, and lecture men about supporting their families.
Space Invaders
Zeth describes a foul-smelling Best Buy customer standing inches from him, leading the cast and callers to debate how to tell close talkers to back up without starting a confrontation.
Jessica Goes Country
The cast samples Jessica Simpson's country single Come On Over, and Mikey says she sounds commercially convincing even as the crew mocks the lyrics and her opening vocal.
The Cast Fails the DMV
The cast takes a ten-question California driving quiz, with only Sean, Rob, and Eddie passing while Mikey, Skye, and Ashley miss basic questions about fog, curbs, merging, and school buses.
Chickenfoot Revealed
Skye reports that Chad Smith, Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, and Joe Satriani are forming Chickenfoot, while the crew argues over whether Satriani's virtuoso style fits the supergroup.
Marriage Poll Argument
A California poll showing 51 percent support for same-sex marriage triggers an argument over whether a scientific poll means anything compared with a direct public vote.
Travel Wizard Shootout
Skye recounts how two Travel Wizard owners returned fire after an armed robber shot them, killing the suspect about fifty feet from the store.
P1 Hall of Fame
A caller asks how to become a P1 Hall of Famer, launching a spirited nomination debate about which longtime listeners contribute enough, attend enough events, and deserve jackets at a proposed induction ceremony.

The San Diego School District announced yesterday that the jobs of close to 700 teachers and other employees will be saved. Oh, thank God for Adrian Gonzalez. He continues his tear as he and Coos hit back-to-back home runs, leading the pods to a 4-2 win over Washington. That's good. That's very good. Ten home runs this month. Adrian Gonzalez? He's Latino, Eddie. It's in our blood to be good. players from a very young age were taught, you know, the importance of the stick. And, you know, we learn it from a young age. And we just sort of... How come you didn't ever... Well... That is a good question, Eddie. And I think it's one deserving of an answer. And sometime in the nine hour this morning... Wait, nine hour? Why not answer right now? Well, you want to keep them around is what you do.
Give them a little something and you say, hey, come back. I'll give you the big answer to that one, huh? Of why I can't play baseball. This one. This one. This one. This one. Monitor's not working. Look at that screen. I bet you that screen is so old. I bet. What do you think the over-under is? I love that game. It's the over-under on that screen. I'd say. Brand is LG. Model is Flatron. That's probably 2002. That's your over-under? Yeah. I will take the under. Skye? I was going to say it's about eight years old, so I'm thinking 2000. That's pretty good. You're taking the under? Yeah. Yeah? Shawnee, what do you think? Well, I wish I could see it because I could probably nail it. Skye, show him that with the camera. Let me turn it towards him.
Yeah, yeah, use mine. Can you see that, Shani? I'll say, I'm actually going to go even lower. I'm going to say that is vintage 98. Wow. Holy cow. It's about 10 years old, our equipment. About 10 years. I'll tell you what. I don't remember when they made the move from Kearney Villa Road to Granite Ridge, where we are now. But at the time, and you guys remember this, at the time that they moved here, it was like state of the art. It was like state of the art when they moved here. The studios were state of the art. Clear Channel probably spent a billion dollars. It may be time for them to upgrade. Say we got to give you guys an upgrade. My name is Mikey. I'm the host of the show. And I shaved my head. In fact, I shaved it today. This morning, yeah. I used the brush with the shaving cream on the brush. I'd love to see that. I do.
Yeah, I do. Him dabbing his noggin with a brush of junk. It works so good. You know, it works for a variety of reasons to shave in this way. It gets the whiskers up. I do it in the shower. Got to get the hot water on there for a good long while because it softens it up. Then you use the brush. It picks up the whiskers. And then you shave with the Mach 3. The Mach 3 Fusion is the one I use. What kind of razor do you use, Eddie? The same. Fusion? Do you use the power or the non-power? The one with the battery in it? No. What does a battery do? They got the Mach Fusion, I can't remember what it's called, like extreme or something. There's two kinds. There's one with a battery, one without. Well, the one with the battery vibrates a little bit. And that's a good thing? I guess. You know, I don't like it. I used it. Razor blade on your head. I got it once, and I didn't like it. I didn't like the vibration of it. That's scary. I didn't understand why people like that. Eddie is our producer, our sports guy. He's 35 years old, and he does not use the vibrating mock. He says, I don't go that way. I've never even tried it. I wouldn't want to. How often do you shave? Look at me.
He hates it, man. I put it off as long as possible. He's had to shave since he was about eight, nine years old. Eddie's had a beard forever. He's had hair on his face. So he's been doing it for a long time, but you don't like it. Yeah, I've had a goatee since I was 20 and never shaved it. And then I just shave like twice a week. Can you guys, if you listen, Eddie. If you walked in here without a goatee. Oh, shut up. All hell would break loose. I couldn't. Too much. All hell would break loose. Too much. I believe that Sky would not return until it was back. Yeah. Uh-uh. I understand. Uh-uh. Sky looks gorgeous today. I love those headbands. You love the headbands. She looks so pretty. It's like she's going to go sailing today. Yes. I'm very nautical with my blue and white stripes. Yes. Yes. She got on a white headband. Those are good. Chicks should use them. You should wear them more. Oh, thank you. Skye is our news girl. She is approximately 30 years of age. Are you pro or con sex and the city, Skye? Pro or con? I mean... How do you vote? Yes or no? Yeah, I mean, I guess. I mean, I don't really care much either way, but I'm definitely not con. Do you want to watch the series?
like, occasionally on reruns if there's nothing else on, but I wasn't, like, fanatic by any means. So you weren't that into it. So, I mean, I guess I'm pro, but I don't really give a rip. Yeah, I don't either. I don't think any guys watched it. I know it's coming out in the movie theaters in a couple of days. Heck yeah, it is. It's going to be huge. Heck yeah, it is. Who cares? Who cares? Lots of women do. I do. I guess so, man. I do. Never miss an episode. You watch the, like, do we need a movie? Oh, yeah, I would love to see a movie because it kind of ended and everybody wants to know what the deal is with Mr. Big and Carrie, so I'm excited. Well, they're supposed to be getting married in the movie, but they say, my wife says she thinks that's a big crock. Well, it's one of those deals where it's like, are they ever going to get, because we always want them to get together, but it's like if they got together, like there'd be probably no show, you know, because like that's the essence of it. Well, there is no show. Well, but I was saying, like, that's why for, like, the six seasons, like, they never really got together. What do you think, Ash? Will they get married? I think that they will. I think it's going to be, they have to. And I really hope that they do. Shawnee, oh boy. Let's go to Shawnee, oh boy. He is 38. He is 38. He's tall. He's an American. I'm going to tell you that by, you know, his race is white.
White and American, bro. He's white and American. Protect our borders. That's right. Sean has a goatee, but I will say it's more mustache than it is beard. It comes and it goes. It's a Van Dyke. It does. It's disappointing, you know. Like, it's unreliable. It's unreliable. It is. It's a little inconsistent. Like, I want to count on it, and then some days, oh, I can't count on it. It's not there. If Eddie were to write a letter to the beard part, he would say, you know, I can't count on you. Please, help me out. Come on, dude. Stay with me. Stay with us here. Fight it. You know? Like, he gives up. That's right. And some days he just goes away. He doesn't give up. He does, dude. Oh, he does. Mustache never gives up. Mustachio. Your mustache fights through everything, dude. Look, sometimes I have to trim it back a little bit, but that's it. Yeah, trim it back. No, sometimes it's nowhere to be found, and you're like, oh, really? I don't know about that. I don't know. I do know. I keep a log. That's true. He does. It's true. I was looking at Sean's eddies.
Eddie has a several notebook. February 27th. What did it say? February 27th. It says right on the cover, Sean's mustache log. Where have you gone today? My hero. I miss you already. Why did you leave? February 27th, 2008. Wow, Eddie, you were right. There goes Sean's beard. Watch it as it goes. Ashley is our assistant producer. She is 24 years old. Oh my gosh, not for long. Oh my gosh, not for long. Oh my gosh. You guys June 29th? That's crazy. June 16th is her birth. June 16th? June 30th. She's joking the whole time. It was June 30th the whole time, you guys. Let me tell you about Ashley. Ashley had a fantastic yoga experience yesterday. Yeah, it was really nice. Really good. Well, her teacher was pregnant. Yeah. And Ashley thought that she looked amazing and it was inspiring. And I thought that Eddie might really enjoy hearing about her pregnant, amazingly inspiring teacher at yoga.
pregnant or she was pregnant? She's pregnant right now. It was a trip. Ashley said, can I tell you about my first puzzle? Alright. She also took her dog to the park, Eddie. What? Yeah, I did. Wait a minute. My fat pug goes Sammy. I love her. Wait, listen, Eddie. So, Ashley made some chocolate chip cookies yesterday. Same thing every day. I don't care. In a routine. But something different happened. Who cares? Did she eat all of them this time? No. That would actually not be out of the norm. I know. Okay. She ate three of them and she put nine of them on a plate. Oh, I see what's coming. And then she got into the shower. Oh, yep. And I put them by my purse to take to my honey's house. Sammy. Totally smart move. Sammy. And Sammy ate them.
Did she get sick? Very dangerous. We don't know, but they say that it kills him. So Ash left to her boyfriend's house, and she's going to have her boyfriend go check on Sammy this morning. I think she's dead, you guys. You're probably right. I think she might have killed Sammy. Her puggle. I think I did because I left in such a rush. We got the confession on tape. This is serious stuff because she climbed up on the freaking counter like a freaking monkey. I put them where I absolutely did not think she could get to them. I don't even know how she still did. But I was in such a hurry and I was frustrated. So I turned off all the lights to put her to bed. I just left. And then on the drive over to my honey's house. The guilt started to set in. I bet. And I was like, okay. Spings. Okay. She's a little fat puggle and she just ate nine chocolate chip cookies. She ate them all? She ate them all. Oh, yeah. And she's locked in her crate? No, no, no, no. I've been training her to stay out of the crate. So she's free in my living room. Your place is going to be a mess today. Oh, man. She's out of the crate. If she's not dead. Spin art. She's going to be. Yeah.
I think that she, I think that she. That was a bad move. Right? And then I'm like, I'm never going to forgive myself. Do me a favor. Take pictures. Does your boyfriend have a video camera? There's a video camera at my house. I want him to walk in with it. Oh. Just to see, because something happened. Well. A puggle does not eat nine chocolate chip cookies with no results. There's no way, right? There's no way. Like, something's going to happen. And I think it has to do with accidents. I'm just freaking out. And then I got over to my boyfriend's house. I think that Puggle's alive. I think the Puggle, yeah, yeah. But I think the Puggle probably, you know, said, hey, you know, this is called a Rorschach test. What do you see when you look at it? I don't care. You know what? If she had messes, if there's messes, that's fine. As long as she's okay. That's like all I care about at this point. And the guilt set in, and I'm telling my honey last night, I think she's dead. And he's like, I'll check on her in the morning before work. And I'm like, it might be too late, but that will be better than nothing. Yeah, there's going to be abstract art all over your house. I'm kind of freaking out. I've been freaking out ever since. I don't really know what to do.
I don't really know what to do, Skye. Thank God it's not summer or nothing, you know, and it doesn't get hot in there. Zeth has offered to go over there with a camera right now. Please. Yeah? Please, yeah. That would be awesome. You know where she's at? Oh, Jackson Pollock moved in. Yeah, he knows where. That thing goes here? I don't even know. Okay, take it. All right. Zeth's going to go, and then we'll post it on the website. Thank you, Mike. You're so welcome. I'm a bad guy. I'm a bad person. Zeth, if she's not breathing, feel free to give her CPR, okay? Totally, Zeth. It's impossible. Do you know how to give doggy CPR, bro? All you do is hold the nose. You step on him. It's not how you do it. It jars him back. Make sure you see the stomach go up and down, and that's how you know you're putting breath in her. The stomach. You know, sometimes you've got to turn them to the side so the seawater comes out. Yeah. Say, breathe again. Yeah. Wow. That's right. Poor Sammy. I have a feeling Jennifer Love Hewitt's communicating with Sammy right now. Oh, no. Too far, Mike. Sylvia Brown? Hey. That's bad. Hey.
I'm getting a word here. I'm getting a word. Does ruggle, does that mean anything to anybody? Jammy, jammy, lammy. Does this mean anything? Anybody in the room getting this? Crammy, mammy. P1 paparazzi is on the line. He's already at Ashley's house. Give me the window. I'll just use my own key. Don't worry. Paparazzi. Yeah. How you doing, bro? I'm doing all right, but I'm kind of confused right now. Yeah. Ashley, all this time you've been so about, oh, I have to take care of my dog. I can't even go to the movies with my boyfriend because my dog takes priority. And now the first thing that went through your mind wasn't, I need to take my dog as a vet when he ate nine cookies.
Most people would take their dog to get the stomach pumps if they ate that much chocolate. So what you're saying is, hey, listen, I mean, you don't go to the movies because your dog, but you're going to have your dog eat nine cookies and you're like, see you later. Eddie's shaking his head right now like, you guys got a good point. No, I am not. Oh, you're not at all. I'm in support of Ashley on this. And what do you say, Eddie? You know, I think that Ashley probably should have stayed with the dog last night. You know, rushing him to the vet, I think, is a little overreacting. That's overreacting. Thank you, Eddie. I don't know. I know a lot of people have had issues with their dogs eating chocolate, and the dog ends up getting severely sick or potentially died. Yes, rickets. I know this, Brad. This is what we're talking about right now. That's right. Oh, no. Very aware of the facts that you're throwing in my face. So thank you for letting us know the obvious. Oh, no. Eddie's pumping his fist in victory. Yeah, you know, Ashley. What, is he lecturing me? Like, really? Thank you for the call, paparazzi. No, thank you. Thank you for the call. Can't wait to talk to you tomorrow. Yeah, yeah. We'll have you call in tomorrow. We'll see what's going on. I'm sure he will. Mikey Show, hello. Hello? Hello? Is this Rob? No, this is Mikey. And you're on the air, bro. Oh, hey, man. Dude, T1A, my dog ate like a pound of chocolate. And you didn't have to take it to the vet or anything.
It was the weirdest thing. Anything happen to the dog? No, like, nothing at all. Like, it was a little jacked up superior. There you go. Well, that's even a smaller dog than your puggle, Ash, so you're probably fine. The only, and that's the thing, is when I left my house in a state of frustration and rage, I was thinking. Frustration and rage. I was thinking, this is not the first time Sammy's done this. Like, she's gotten up and eaten, like, she loves my gum, and she'll eat, like, packs of my gum. Oh, my God. Yeah. That dog is a menace. Oh, she's got a personality of her own. I guess so. And I've seen her, you know, I've seen her get into my cookies before. I've never seen her eat that many, but, you know, I've seen her eat a bunch of junk, and she's fine. So I think that's... Oh, your dog is going to be fine. We're getting calls right now. People's dogs eat much worse. Bradsky, you there? Yeah. Go ahead. Yeah, I used to skate behind my neighbor's house all the time, and they had a dog that barked at us incestably. We spent three pounds of chocolate and nothing happened to it. You're a horrible person. It's not cool. There's nothing funny about it. Oh, well. You're a jerk. I'm going to report you to PPS. That's the Pets Protective Services. Pargo Protective Services. Thank you very much. You know, Mike, I think there's something that everyone's overlooking. Yeah, Sean. It may not be the chocolate. It might be the baking that kills the chocolate.
Sean! No, there's no way. Hey, Sean, like she hasn't gone through enough already. He's got a dead point. For reals though, guys, like for reals, this was like maybe one of the best batches of chocolate chip cookies I've ever made. That's why I ate meat. But, Ash, you use the same ingredients each time. Oh, but, dude, this was just, like, a superbly delicious batch. But isn't it always, you know, you put the same ingredients. Yeah, but sometimes they just cook better. A tablespoon of a tablespoon each time. Give it some Mylanta or something. Sometimes they cook better. Maybe that's why Sammy ate them all, because they were so good. They were so good. They were so good. Oh, goodness. Well. Well, P1D-Dub is on the line, and he's got good news for Ash. What's up, Ash? P1D-Dub. My girlfriend works at the VCA Animal Hospital, and she says it's very, very rare that they even get any kind of chocolate poisonings in there for any animals, especially dogs. Okay. Maybe it's a wives' tale, you know, or urban legend. I've always heard that, too. I've always heard it, but maybe it's a bunch of bolognese. Well, they've got to eat a pretty fair amount for them to get in there. I only used one cup of chocolate chips in the entire batch. Go, Sammy. Thank you.
I think we can all agree on that. Go, Sammy. Absolutely. Go, Sammy. Most definitely. There's a bunch of stuff happening in the news. Like, you know how they had sent a bunch of, the city sent a bunch of stuff to city workers saying that they were going to lay a bunch of people off? Do I have that straight, Sky? With the school districts, you know, teachers, but also, you know, other employees with the school district, like janitors and assistants and administrative people. But, yeah, lots, like 900 pink slip. slips were sent out back in March alone. My wife has a pink slip. Really? Mm-hmm. It's interesting. Normally they're white. But okay. Yeah, she's got a really feminine one. But okay. So, now what, Skye? They said just kidding? Well, the San Diego Unified School District, the school board, held a vote last night where they said almost 700 teachers and other employees of the school district will be getting to keep their jobs. We take it back. So, yeah, this all had to do with, like, budget stuff. Everybody's freaking out, thinking they're going to be unemployed. And, oh, you know what? I think the governor hates education. I think so, but wasn't that one of his years? You know what he loves? What? He loves triple sevens.
He loves Flaming, what's it called? Flaming Sevens? Yeah, that's true. Blazing Sevens? Blazing Sevens. Loves it. Yes, he does. Keno. He's a fan. He loves Keno. Yes, yeah. Adores it. My mom works in the school district up in the bay, and she's ready to put in her retirement papers because she's so fed up with everybody getting cut, her job possibly getting cut. She's doing, like, three jobs right now. Yeah, and wasn't, I mean, my brain cells are shot, but didn't the governor, when he ran, wasn't, like, education one of his big, like, things? I thought it was governor. Well, no, and education. And now you're not putting any money towards it. Yeah, it's on snake eyes. Yeah. Snape, what? Learn how to double down. I know. Don't learn how to do math. Don't split kings. Learn when to split them. Always split aces and eights. What does this have to do with education? Don't learn about social studies. It's stupid. It's stupid? Who cares? But learn which penny slots will give you the best eyes. That's right. That's what you should learn. Have you seen the new Indiana Jones ones?
They're the best. They're really good. A lot of fun. They're so good because the money comes pouring out of the short round's eyes. Wait. Let's terminate a movie. I'm going to kill education off finally. Once and for all. Pull it right between it. Put a bullet right between its eyes. Yeah. You had no idea that the machines were actually slot machines. You had no idea. 570-1053. You can call us right now. Beginning and end of every show, we do open phones so you can call about whatever. You know, it's totally up to you. China's biggest movie chain has banned all Sharon Stone's films. Wow. Because of her karma coming. No way. But how many movie theaters were actually showing Sharon Stone films? Yeah, I don't know. What's still left in theaters? Sliver. Sliver. Yeah.
It's huge. Oh, man. Are we ever going to go see Sliver today? Oh, we're going to play Bobby. Thank you. So, yeah. Well, no more Sharon Stone movies. That's karma. Let's see. Our text number. Oh, what is it? 35253. 35253. Hey, Tiger Woods says he's on track to play in the U.S. Open. That's good news. It is? Yeah. Well, I mean, you know, he had the knee surgery. He hasn't played in a tournament since. But all signs are saying, yeah, he's going to be ready. He's going to be out there at Torrey.
Skye will be out there, too. Yeah. Well, Skye is going to be his caddy this year. Is that right, Skye? It'll be his caddy? Yes. And I will also be selling hot dogs. That's right. We're still looking for volunteers. Anybody who wants a free entry into the U.S. Open. That's right. Who's we? Send me a little email. That's right. The Kiwanis Club of San Marcos. That's right. Skye, do you wear something? A little vest, a little Kiwanis vest. Like a fez. Yes, like a fez. Can you imagine? No, there are strict rules about this. There's a uniform I need to wear. What, what, what? It's tennis shoes, khaki bottoms. They can be shorts, capris, or pants. Underwear. Yes. A white polo. They make you. A white polo. Wait, wait, wait. Capri pants, a white polo. Yes. Well, any kind of khaki pants. Khaki pants, though. Yes, only khaki. Only khaki. Green is not khaki. Brown is not khaki. Khaki is khaki. And we will kick your A out. Yes, A.
A white polo. It can have a small little logo on the front, but no logo on the back because whatever your, you know, T-shirt said, they didn't pay millions of dollars to advertise at the U.S. Open, so they will not get their logo shown at the U.S. Open. Oh, my. And then the hair has to be pulled back, and then a black apron that says Prom Catering on it because Prom Catering is the company that's like, I guess, Tiger Woods specifically requested this company, and this is the company. Tiger requested it? That's what they claim. Tiger can't request what the catering is at the U.S. Open. Are you sure? I'm a positive. I guess this company is from the same place where Tiger Woods is from, and he likes them at all the golf. Can you hear that? Yeah. Been hearing it. Is that my heartbeat? It's Boy Blender's Hunger Pains. Where is that coming from? I don't know. What is it? It's a club or something? Yeah. They're bumping and grinding over there. I think they moved Stingaree next door. Nice. You can go for drinks off bottle service, guys. Well, Skye, I'm going to come out and get a hot dog. Is that what it is, a hot dog? Well, do you have a $150 ticket to get in? No. Are you kidding? To the sold-out event, by the way. Yeah.
That's why it's a good deal because if you volunteer, you get in free and you only have to work a six-hour shift. We get it. Then you have the rest of the day. Plus you get free parking. Plus you get shuttle to and from. But I got to work six hours. You have to work six hours, but then you get like six free hours to watch all the golf you want for free. But is it still going on when you're not selling hot dogs anymore? Is it over? Yeah. Oh, it starts like early in the morning and goes to like six o'clock at night. So there's two different shifts. How much does that volunteering thing pay? The money goes to Charity Clown, but you get in free. He is charity. You guys, I had no idea that's how much it cost to go watch people golf. I didn't either. $100? $150. $150? $150. And that doesn't even guarantee that you're going to see any what, buddy. Yeah, and the rules are like crazy strict. You cannot bring a cell phone into that place. No adverbs, I heard. No adverbs at all. No acronyms. Never. Ever an acronym or an adverb. Not allowed. If you want an acronym...
You're out. No weapons? Can you believe that? Can you believe that? What day and age are we in? Can't take weapons of the U.S. Open anymore. I remember the day. Back in the day, you could take your knuckles. You could take all that stuff. Nunchucks. Nunchucks. That's what I'm saying, Mike. Not anymore. Your katana. Cracking down on that stuff. What? Wikipedia. You and Leslie. Yes. What's going on? Well, one time, me and my kids went to my mom's, and my kids fed my mom's dog chocolate mint Girl Scout cookies. And the dog, a couple of hours later, started breathing really hard. It was having a hard time. So she took it to the hospital, and it had to have a stomach pump. Yeah, diabetic probably. Dogs can be diabetic. Yeah. So you give them a sugar thing. Yes. It happens to me. Yeah, when I eat those thin mints, dude, I can't stop. It's like that every time. I've always got to go to the hospital. Eddie says you must freeze Thin Mints. Right? Is it you, Eddie, that says that? No, I've never said that. Who's the freezer of the Thin Mints? To Ashley's place. And we did it because Ashley's Puggle. It's a dog, by the way. It's a half a bugle. Half a beagle, half a pug. Yeah, it's a bugle that likes to snuggle. It's a dog that ate a trumpet. That's right. So her Puggle, Sammy, ate nine chocolate chip cookies. Fresh out of the oven. Yeah. And we're concerned that maybe the dog. you know, had an accident or died.
Sky, I didn't mean that to be funny. That's a true statement of fact. It just caught me off guard. I had coffee in my mouth. It's a true statement of fact. I didn't think you were just going to say it. How are you going to feel if it is? I just, I didn't think you were going to be funny. Can you go in already? I mean, why are we actually chatting? Ash wants him to go in the house now. So let's... Can we please go in? Zeth, let's go in and see what's up with Sammy. Will Sammy bite him? No, no. Never, never. Of course not. It doesn't have teeth, Mike. But has Sammy... ever seen somebody that looks like a white supremacist, though? What color is Sammy? She's tan. You've seen pictures of her. Brown? Uh-oh. I don't know. I have a question, Ashley. What? Did you give me the right key? Yeah. Are you sure? Yeah. Check, Ash. Make sure that your key that works is not on your key ring. Because if you gave him the wrong key, I can't send him back. Did you give him the wrong key? Did she? Yeah, she did. You're going to have to break a window, Zeth. All right, let's do this. Did you give him the wrong key? Yeah, I did. Four bucks a gallon of gas ain't that bad. I'm really frazzled right here. Oh, no. She killed the dog on principle. No, I did not. Is there anything you can check in the window?

My dad installed a dog door, so if Zez wants, he can go on the patio and look through the dog door. You are going to get arrested. Zez, you can go through the patio and you can move the...
the vent, that air conditioning unit, and you can look through the dog door and you can even call Sammy and she'll come out and she's alive. How much do you guys want to bet that he's going to get the cops called on him? Guns drawn. Hey, not cool, dude. Zeth, do you see anything? Yeah, I'm looking in right now. The dog door? I don't see the dog, but she definitely ripped up a couple magazines and it's all over the place. That's fine. She does that all the time. Ashley, how do you put up with this? I thought you were a trainer. Like, what? I am a trainer. Dogs get into things. I train them to destroy furniture. Dogs get into things. When I train my dog, it never did stuff like that. Oh, just wait until you get another dog. We'll see then. Yeah, Eddie, dogs these days are a lot different than dogs back in the day. Well, I got her when she was a year old. So you have to understand, I've only had her for four and a half months. She came from an abusive family. When I got her, she was antisocial. She didn't even know her name. She didn't know anything. Unless she's mad at magazines. Yeah, she thought her name was Phyllis. I'm very confused. She's really confused. She choose the magazines to get attention. I already know this. That's a no real name. Seth, call her name.
Here, Phyllis. Here, corpsey, corpsey, corpsey. No, no. I can't even hear that. Please call her name. Oh, my God. I'm looking in. I don't see her. Call her name. Call her name. She can't be in my room. I shut the door to my room. Sammy. Sammy. You don't see her? Skeletor. Severe underbite. Where are you? Severe underbite. How can you not see her? Do you see her yet, Seth? Can you please call her name, would you mind? Go ahead. I'm going to yell it through the air conditioning duct. Yeah, look through there. You should be able to see her. She should be on my couch or sitting above her crate. Sammy. You're a good friend. This is what his job is. You're a good friend, Seth. Did you ever have to do this at Pizza Hut or wherever you were? I think it was Papa John. Did you do this at Best Buy? Yes. Did they ever have you do this? I mean, he gets more respected.
Best Buy. That's true. He has like assistant manager there. Oh my goodness. He's looking for dead dogs. That's right. Not yet. I'm cool right now, bro. I'm real. Because I'll trip out. I'm tripping out. At least he can rise to the ranks at Best Buy. Not here. Do you see her yet, Zed? No, nothing yet. Okay. Are you kidding me? There's no way that you cannot see her through the doggy door. Move the vent. You can move the vent. That's fine. Okay, this is my other question. Is my door shut that goes into my bathroom? Where is she? What is she doing? Is she okay? She's like sitting on top of like an end table, like next to your couch. Oh, wait, that's a lamp. Sorry. Very well behaved. Oh, wait. That's the TV. No, she's just looking at me. She all right? I guess. No, she looks really sick, dude. She's taking double abysmal. Ask her if she's all right. Yeah, ask her if everything's okay. Yeah, can you ask her if she's all right? Feeling okay? Yeah, I got it. Hey, I hope you don't feel like you look.
Don't look it in the eyes, Zed. You'll turn into a pillar of salt. That is so cute in her own way. She's adorable. She is precious. What does she mean in her own way? You don't think she's cute, Scott? Everyone's cute in a different way. I'm going to make a calendar for my family members for Christmas. In a Shelley Duvall way from The Shining. Like that kind of way. I'll give you guys all one. I'm making a calendar of her with different pictures that I've been taking over the past couple months. They're adorable. I'm going to make a calendar of her. She was tearing up pictures of other dogs. All right. Thank you, Seth. Thank you. Thank you very much. Come back. Don't get arrested. She's okay. It sounds like she's all right. Looks like you lucked out. You dodged a bullet. Thank you so much, Mike, for letting him. So welcome. Our text number is 35253. Back to Mikey. I have a newly developed fear of spiders. Eddie. Why do girls want to ruin our fun? Sky. We all know that I don't like to spend money when I don't have to. Sean. We have the stupidest neighbors in the world. Boston Rob. I get really annoyed when people have sneezing fits. And Ashley. I hate underwear and I don't wear underwear. The Mikey Show's on Rock 105.3. Boston Rob just said in that clip that he gets... really irritated when people have sneezing fits. He would have flipped out at Rebecca a couple of nights ago. She sneezed. I'm not kidding. Like, I lost count. Wow. Because she sneezed about three times, and I said, bless you, each time. And then she stopped for about 10 seconds and then started again. And I thought, well, that's unusual, but I've experienced this in my life. I've seen that happen before. So then she stopped. Three seconds started again. And this went on, I'm not kidding you, five minutes. So she must have sneezed. If I'm not exaggerating, giving her a real number, she must have sneezed 20 times. At least 20 times. And to the point where I finally go, is everything okay? I mean, it was crazy. It's 7.03. Wow, this is not good.
The space station's only toilet for making number ones is out of order. Is that for real? Wow. Yes, that is the real story. They're trapped in a space station. Wow. With Travis Henry missing workouts, the Bronco signed former Mira Mesa. Hi. Running back, Michael Pittman. Really? Yep. Why don't they just use the other toilet then? I guess that one's only for number twos. There's one for liquid waste and one for solid waste. Don't they have a half bath? No, there currently is a three-man crew on the space station, and they have jury-rigged some sort of bag-like thing for them to urinate in. Space Shuttle Discovery should reach the space station next week, but due to weight issues, they don't know if they can put the parts to fix this on the space shuttle.
Because, like, the space shuttle needs to be, like, a certain weight for liftoff. And they didn't account for these things. So they're looking into it right now. So just hold it, guys. Yeah, just hold it. I wonder what's the matter with it. Dude, Tang goes right through you, man. That's right. Right? Yeah, that Tang. It's like a diuretic or something. Who knows? They say that they don't know the cause of the problem and the crew has been unable to fix it. That is a shame. Now, Mikey Show presents the search for the truth behind the words, the logic behind the lyrics. It's time to play Lyrical Gangster. Don't forget, tomorrow morning, Eddie and B-Rob are going to be doing their sumo challenge. Here's where we're going to be. Tomorrow morning, the Mikey Show is broadcasting live from L.A. Boxing. 26-22. El Camino Real in Carlsbad. 26-22. El Camino Real in Carlsbad. Mike, how could Rob possibly think he can beat me in sumo wrestling? Really, I want to know strategy. That's a good question.
I'd love to tell you, but it's an ancient Chinese secret. Wow. Touche. So, dude, Rob, do you have any kind of a, like... I'm just going to charge full force, Adam. Yeah. Ground and pound? Yes. Dude. But you weigh like 80 pounds, bro. I've been packing on the weight in the past week. He weighs 80 pounds with, like, 20-pound weights on his ankles. Actually, lean pockets. Yeah. Yeah, lean pockets. Not hot pockets. Let's not go crazy. Yeah, come on. Ridiculous, man. That's right. I can get five for ten bucks. I'd be so proud of that. Five for ten bucks. It's a good deal, Rob. 5701053, let's play Lyrical Gangsta. Now, the game is played by you answering trivia questions about lyrics of songs. We'll give you the question about the lyrics, and you just have to answer it. P1 Bond is on the line. Yes, there I am. How you doing, Bond? Pretty good. How you doing? Good, brother. What do you do for a living? I work at an insurance agency in Del Mar. There you go. Nice. How old are you? 21. There you go. Look at that. Young guy, already doing insurance. Nice. Yep. All right, I'm going to give you your three categories. Your three categories are 90s rock, breakup songs, and songs from movie soundtracks.
I'm going to go with 90s rock. Here you go. Your 90s rock question is, in the song Outshined by Soundgarden, he says, show me the power, child. I'd like to say that I'm down on my knees when? Today. That is today. Today. That's right, dude. Not bad. All right, so, Eddie, he wins tickets to go see the WWE, is that correct? Yeah, one night stand this Sunday, pay-per-view, live here in San Diego. How about that, dude? You're going to go see it live in person here in San Diego. Sounds good. All right, hang on the line. That's pretty cool. P1 Jessica. Hi. How are you? Hi. Hi. How old are you, Jessica? I'm 26. You're 26? Yeah. What do you do?
Work at an engineering company in Caruni Mesa. Greetings. What do you do? What is your work all about? Well, basically I do everything that engineers do, but I don't have my degree. So you're the secretary. That's right, yeah. No. Oh, sorry. I didn't know. She does not have a degree. But she does the same stuff. Eddie just waved at Skye as if to say girl power. It's so rude. I don't know. It's so rude. She says she does everything the engineers do. Assistant. I'm an assistant. Except the important stuff. Not secretary. I see. So you get the coffee and stuff. Shut up. I apologize for him. I take lunch breaks. Here are your three categories. Your categories are breakup songs, songs from movie soundtracks, and 90s rock. Breakup songs. Your breakup song question is, in the song Human by the Human League, he says, I'm only human. Of flesh and blood, I'm made. Human. Born to make what? Mistakes. That is correct. What?
Sean's loving every second of it. Beautiful song. I bet Sean's heard that no less than 300 times. I can't even count the number of times. Yeah. He was listening to it this morning, I'm sure, on the way in. P1 Dane is on the line. Hi, Dane. Yes, I am. How are you? I'm good. On the way to school. I see. Dane, how old are you? I'm 13. You are 13 years of age. 13 years of age. How would you like to go to the WWE? I'm not much of a wrestling fan, but I have a friend who's really into it. Okay. So I might give it to him. How old is your friend? He is also 13. Okay. Well, his parents will have to drive him to the sports arena to be able to see this. But hey, man, it's pay-per-view. You're playing for your friend. Are you ready? Yes. Okay. Where do you go to school? I go to Earl Warren. Oh, one? Earl Warren Middle School. Earl. Earl Warren Middle School in Solana Beach.
That's off the hook there. That's right, dude. Yes. Now, 13, I'm guessing you are in eighth grade. Seventh. Seventh grade. Yes. All right. Yo, you got a girlfriend? Maybe. Yeah. What's up? What's up? What's up? What's up? What's up? That's right. Eddie says, yeah, dog. Hails, yeah. So here is your category, songs for movie soundtracks, breakup songs, and 90s rock. What do you want? 90s rock, please. You got it. Your question is, in the song Interstate Love Song by the Stone Temple Pilots, he says, leaving on a southern train only yesterday you what? That is incorrect. Only yesterday you lied. Very sorry about that. Very sorry about that, Dane. That was tough. P1 Matt is on the line. Oh, hey Matt. I don't care. Matt. No such thing. Yeah, there's no such thing as a different Matt. Every Matt is Matt. Hey, Matt. Matt is Matt. Matt is Matt. Matt is Matt. Matt is Matt. Matt, your categories are 90s rock, songs from movie soundtracks, and breakup songs. Give me movie soundtracks. You got it. Well, the ride's getting a little bit tougher here as we move along this morning as you work your way out of the South Bay. The usual brake lights to expect here in front of you, northbound 5 and the 805. Just past that 54 South Bay Freeway up to National City. 805's got some spotty stuff in pockets off and on from here all the way to North Park. And now you're seeing the slowdown develop out of Crinney Mesa as you head up over the 52 in towards the Golden Triangle. The King Freeway westbound a little jammed up at the 805 as you make that turn. And then slows again from 28th Street to 25th Street. There was an earlier accident here on the right-hand shoulder. That caused that slowdown. If you're traveling westbound on the 8th, that's looking pretty good for you. Just a brief delay right around Texas as you pass the queue here. Westbound 52, a little bit tight off the 125 coming out of Santee. That continues to slow up to the top of the summit where you lose that lane at Santo Road. Heading south on the 15th coming out of Escondido. That's tougher as well. Up to 78 to Villarancho Parkway. Slows again off and on in Pocketsuit Rancho Bernardo and Carmel Mountain Ranch. And your coaster ride, South 5, starting to struggle now out of Lucadia all the way to Solana Beach.

Today is my last day of high school. Been listening for four years. Thanks for all the laughs. P1 Chase. Wonder where he's going. Going to college? Today's the last day of high school for him. May 28th. I didn't even think about it, but that's right. Yeah, I think it's a zombie. Summertime. Tomorrow's your sister's birthday, I think, Eddie. Is it today or tomorrow? The 28th is today. Oh, Eddie, what'd you get her? Oh, no. What happened? This text says, Ash should feel real bad for treating her dog that way. She's a very bad owner. Sincerely, Michael Vick. Wow. The fact that he said that. I can't believe that he was. The fact that he wrote that to me is just. I don't think he has room to. Yeah, I mean, it really puts it in perspective. I don't think he has room to talk, but okay. Holy.
Mikey, the astronauts can fix a rocket combustion engine, but they can't fix a urinal? Wow. That's P1's space cadet. Wow. Wow. Well, wow. So listen to this email. Mikey, hey man, love the show. You guys crack me up, my friends, all the time. I listen every morning before school. Wanted to write you because I know you will give me a straight answer. My mom came to me this past weekend and hit me with wanting to drug test me. I guess they sell these home drug testing kits and she got one. I think we advertise for one. I could have sworn. Yeah, I think we have one. I hear those commercials all the time. I want to be clear that I do not use drugs. I never have. Just isn't my thing. but I feel violated that she wants to drug test me at home. How about just asking me? I refuse to take it, and now her and my dad are saying they won't pay for college for me unless I take it. I don't know what to do, but I'm not taking it. I think it sucks. What do you guys think, P1 Straight Edge? That is so crazy. It brings up about 50 issues. Wow.
It brings up about 50 issues because number one, what do you think, if you're listening right now, what do you think of drug testing your kid? Then what about if your kid says no? Right. Because this kid's like, I'm not doing it. And what throws an even crazier monkey wrench into it is the kid's not doing drugs. Right. It'd be one thing if the kid was doing drugs and they're like, I ain't taking this thing, man. But his parents are saying, we're not paying for your college if you don't take this drug test. He's doing something on principle or she. It says straight edge, so I don't know. But who knows? What would you do? What would you do if you suspect that your kid is doing drugs? And now ask yourself, why would you suspect it? I don't know. A kid probably, you know, looks like a teenager. Yeah. Probably looks like his friends or her friends. Yeah. I mean, look at Seth.
Oh, good boy. Scum of the earth. I don't know if that was necessarily saying that out loud. Seth, were you ever drug tested? Yeah, in high school a couple times actually. Were you really? Yeah, I went to a private high school, a real small school, and they would just kind of randomly drug test kids. I got it probably four or five times my senior year, just me personally. Four or five times? Yeah. Four or five times during the year? Yeah. Just during my senior year. And you weren't doing drugs? No. I passed every single one. What? So what would the process be like? Explain to me how it would happen. More or less, you would just kind of be sitting in class or be at lunch or something like that. And they would call over the intercom or call one of the teachers and have them, you know, take you into the office. And you would go into the bathroom and you would take the cup. So they would actually on an intercom say, Zeth Oates, please report to the principal's office. Yeah. So you go there, and then what happens when you get there? You walk in, and there's a desk in the front, and it would just be sitting there, like the cub and the reader on it, like a little strip. And they would just hand this. You'd be like, go. Really? Bring it back. Yeah. So you would walk into the bathroom right there? Yeah. And somebody would be outside the door.
And you would urinate in this cup. In the cup, and I would bring it back out to them, and they would test it. And if you checked out, you went back to class. So they would check it right then, right there? Oh, yeah. I got a couple friends that got suspended. Even a couple got expelled that year. Like that day, you wouldn't see them come back to class. Wow. Eddie's showing us how they test it. I don't believe that's how they test it. I don't know that we can really say. Well, we can't really say. If we had a camera in here or something, you could kind of see how he's testing it. But I don't think they do it that way myself either. Eddie, Eddie, I don't think they do it that way. I don't think they do it that way. Actually, they did, which is weird. That's a strange thing. So every single time, though, you pass the test, right, Seth? Yeah, I pass. What a good boy. They should have been a little more discreet about it because once they called one down, everybody else knew what was up. And everybody knew I passed, so I was taking this test to my brother. What the heck? Eddie's line ringing. What's going on here? Hello? Hey, guys, it's Dr. Wayne calling in. Dr. Wayne, what are you doing?
I'm a local chiropractor in the area, and I also specialize in Swedish and deep tissue massage. Heard about that. What's that, Dr. A? And I just got certified as a drug tester. Is that an official thing? No, it's not. I think you can buy something that happens. Well, he's official, though, Scott. Well, no, that's not true. You can go to CVS and buy one of these things. There are a lot of key things that you can look for to tell if the person or your loved one is taking. drugs. Really? One of those things is them being lethargic, another one is being sleepy, and another one is yet a lack of talking. Okay, that's all things that Seth does. I'll be right there. That is creepy. Wow, Dr. Wayne says he's going to drug test. Seth. I don't like that. I don't either. So 5701053, what do you guys think? Eddie, tell me, where are you staying with this? Man. It's, you know, I understand wanting to make sure your kids are not, you know, doing anything crazy and staying on the street and all that stuff. But you're really breeding this, like, paranoia and mistrust by, you know, doing that. I think having a conversation with your kid is much more healthy and a much better way to deal with it. And, you know, if they choose.
to lie to your parents and stuff like that, then, you know, there's bigger issues going on. But, you know, giving him a drug test at home, I mean, man, that just, that seems a little harsh. Thank you very much, Ricker. So good. I think that if your kid, if you're giving your kid a drug test, then... You're basically trying to deal with the runny nose. You're not dealing with the cold. You're going, oh, I'm going to give you a test to see if you have a runny nose. Yep, you do. Then you're grounded. It's like, well, wait, what about the cold? That's just the symptom of the cold. If you're getting to the point where you're doing the drug test, something's probably wrong, right? If I found pot or drugs of any kind in my kid's room, that may be part of, like, their punishment. You know what I mean? Like, you're going to be grounded or whatever, and you're going to have to take these drug tests now because you broke our trust. Oh, yeah. Oh, dude. A hundred percent. I would be okay with that. A hundred percent. But for just, like, out of the blues, seems like a pretty good kid. For funsies. Yeah. The kid wants to go to college, you know what I mean? I don't know. Just for no reason. For funsies, Eddie. Turns out the parents are just into chemistry. They just thought it would be interesting.
Skye, where do you stand on this? Squy. Squy? Crack is whack. Yeah, my opinion is probably not going to make parents very happy. Come on. Okay, I agree with what Eddie's saying. It just breeds this whole culture of mistrust in a family. I believe the only way that... I think home drug testing is acceptable is in the most extreme situations when your child is getting in trouble. What? In the Andes? No, not extreme weather conditions. That's not what I'm saying. Yeah, or the Saharan Desert. That's what I was going to say. You're like out in the Sahara, you're totally thirsty, and you're like, pee in this. Like, if you suspect your child is doing hardcore drugs, if you... Brown them. Ground them. Ground them. Sky goes easy on the kids. Well, she's a hypocrite if she doesn't. Well, I'm saying that if I suspect my child of doing like hardcore drugs. What is hardcore in your opinion? Like black tar heroin. Yeah, like coke, meth.
ecstasy so not weed well I wouldn't put ecstasy necessarily in the hardcore you know plan I mean I mean if it's it's a it's a rave I'm just saying like if this kid's parents were my kids I mean, my parents back in the day, I wouldn't have gone to college. It would have screwed up my whole life. It would have screwed up my relationship with my parents. I'm a successful woman. You know, I graduated from college. I got a degree. But if they started that. Save the clip. I'm a successful woman. Yeah. Absolutely. Thank you. If they started that, if my parents did that back in the day with me, it would have ruined our relationship. And it would have, you know, I wouldn't. But Skye, weren't you smoking pot? Yes. So then you're not supposed to be. I love weed.
Well, wait a minute. Says society. Says society. Thank you. No, it says the law, dude. Well, yes, it says the law, but my parents aren't a cop. If this had happened to me, I wouldn't have been able to smoke my pop. My parents aren't the police officer. Their job is to make sure that I grow up to be a productive member of society, which I did. Don't they have rules in your house? Like, don't you set rules for your kids? Yeah. You're breaking their rules. But, Skye. Well, you know, they don't know why. What they don't know doesn't hurt them. You're saying that you think that it is acceptable for parents to allow their children to break the law? I'm saying... I'm not saying that. That's too big of a blanket statement. That's not what I'm saying at all. But that's what your parents would have been doing. That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm just saying that if your child is a good kid and a productive kid and is taking care of their business and isn't harming anyone and is just doing kid things, I don't think you need to bring this sort of mistrust into the house. I don't think you need to punish their future. Yeah, Mike. It's part of growing up.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. For some kids it is. I didn't smoke weed. Everyone I knew did. Okay, good for you, but I didn't smoke weed. So it's not part of growing up. Don't say that. Guys, I did too, but that doesn't make it right. I'm not saying it's right, but you've got to experience life. How are you going to experience life? Absolutely. Wait, wait, wait. I say this. Yes, you do have to experience life. And so if you're going to smoke weed, Okay, but there's consequences to it. It doesn't mean you're just allowed to. Like, Skye, it is wrong. It's against the law. It is against the law, Mike. So if you found out your kids were smoking pot, it wouldn't bother you at all? I would definitely have a talk with them, but if my kids were pulling good grades, if they were taking care of their business, if they were never getting in trouble, if they weren't participating in shenanigans, I don't think it would be a huge deal. How about this? You. That's just me. How about this? What's up? You got a kid. Let's call your kid love. Your daughter, love. She's the best. Love gets straight A's. She was born on Valentine's Day. That's right. Born on Valentine's Day. So love gets straight A's, right? Of course she does. She is a junior in high school. You come home one day and she's watching TV drinking a beer.
Is that all good? No. Why not? There would be a lengthy discussion about it. There'd be a lengthy discussion about it. Fair enough. Fair enough. And you would tell her. What would you tell her? I would say, you're too young for this. I understand that this is something that kids do and they want to try, but you need to be responsible. There's a lot on the line. We would talk about drinking and driving. We would talk about how it affects. Eddie has his hand up. What, Eddie? What if your child was arrested for possession of pot because you never intervened and you never said anything? Well, that's what I said. Once it becomes a problem, that's when there are consequences. Before that, it wasn't a problem. Well, this is California. My child would get a ticket. What happens if my child speeds? That's not good either. You get a ticket. Depends how much. What if it was buying? What if it was, you know, there was a lot of different things that could happen. What if there was a sting going on? Sky, you're the best. They do that at schools. They do that at schools. Well, my kid would be smart enough not to bring weed to Sky. Yeah, he would. You want me to lie to you? No. Horrible. Oh, no one ever does it, and I would lock my child in the basement if they did that. No, I don't want you to lock your child in the basement. I would drug test them every single day and make my child hate me forever. I don't want you to drug test. I don't want no basement lockings. All I want is some groundation, maybe.
Well, yeah. I said that there would be talks and consequences if they get in trouble, if there's a problem. I think Eddie's good. If it comes to my attention. Hey, dude, I like your idea of, hey, man, if you get in trouble because you're smoking weed in the house, like, I'm going to have to get... See, before... That's what I said, too. There goes your privileges. That's what I said, too. Okay, but you won't drug test them? No, not for... No. Not for what? No, not for weed. Why? Because it's going to breed mistrust. They're going to hate my butt. They're going to hate you. They're going to hate me. Why are they going to hate you? Why are they going to hate you? They're going to hate me because... Tell me. Come on. It's hard to verbalize. You can do it. Let me think about it. Work it out, girl. Because it's like if there was a test for alcohol. OK, it's like if there's a home test for alcohol and I catch my child, a junior, senior in high school, drinking a beer. Right. And say this test for alcohol shows when they've had alcohol in the last month. If I constantly test my child, I know that kids, juniors and seniors drink. Oh, wait, wait. I know it. OK, hang on. I know it happens. I know it's illegal. But you know what? You can still grow up and be a productive citizen. Let's say this.
Let's say, Sky, hang on, hang on. It is for a minor. It sure is for a minor. I want to talk it out and then you guys can have it. Definitely illegal for a minor. And it's more dangerous. Thank you. Let's say, Sky, that you bust your kid today, Wednesday, May 28th. And so on Sunday, which is the first of June, you say, you go, okay, I've thought about it the last few days. I bust him what? You bust him drinking a beer. Okay. Okay. You bust him for the first time ever. And you say, okay, listen. As of this day, no more, I don't want you drinking anymore. That's the rule. If when you turn 21, you want to start drinking, all right. But right now, you're 16 years old. You live here. No drinking. I don't want you drinking here. I don't want you drinking out of here. And if you are drinking here, you're going to be in trouble. Yeah, I don't know if that's how my conversation would go. Okay. Okay. Okay. Now. Because I'm a realist about what kids do. Okay. I am too. I am too. Cause I got to tell you, we had a different thing. We had a different experience. So you let a month go by and this thing can pick up alcohol in their system for a month, say. Okay. So in mid July, you test them and they've had a beer. Your philosophy is, well, I just know they're going to do this.
That's why I wouldn't test. Right, right, right, right, right, right. And so you know it's going to be positive. Right. OK, so you're working from the assumption of they're not going to follow my rules. I'm working from the assumption of. They will if there's consequence. I'll tell you this. But see, that's where we get into the problem because there's consequences which are going to ruin the relationships and ruin their future. But Skye, there needs to be consequences with kids. There definitely needs to be consequences with children. When they do something wrong. When they do something that is really bad. When they break the rules. When they do something that's really bad. Well, and see, that's why it wouldn't be a rule like that in my house. You would not make it a rule. You would tell them what the dangers are, but you wouldn't say. You can't do that here. Yeah, I would talk to them a lot about drinking and driving, about the dangers of alcohol, how bad it is for you, what it can do to your body, how it can mess with your head. It can compromise situations. I would talk about all of that. But you wouldn't say you can't do it. In no way would I say you're never allowed to drink. Not you're never. You wouldn't say to them, you can't do this here. Well, not in my home.
So you would say. But I expect my kid, you know, on prom probably to, you know, have a drink. I mean, I'm not going to be stupid about it. I know this is what happens. I know at their kid's birthday, you know, at a friend's overnight birthday slumber party with the girls, they're probably going to break into somebody's liquor cabinet. You know, like I. I get this happens. I don't want to work on that assumption. And I don't want to tell my kid that I'm not going to pay for your college or you can't see your friends anymore or you can't be on the cheerleading squad. Like, I don't want to say that to love. Because then love would be mad at you. You don't want love mad at you. Well, and it would also have consequences for her not letting her go to college. Well, right. Who? Like, shut up. Is that your fault? Oh, my gosh. Is that your fault for giving the rule or is it her fault for breaking it? I think it's a, the punishment doesn't fit the crime. Okay, I can maybe agree with you on that one. Now, on this one, for sure. Like, I think it's unreasonable that the dad says or the mom says to this girl or guy, if you don't take the stroke test, you don't go to college. I think that's unreasonable. But I do think, man, we got to have rules and consequence. We do. You know, Eddie. What if love, you know, dabbles, you know, she smokes a little weed, does a little Coke at a party. Coke is unacceptable. Because that's a harder drug for her.
Because that's my rule. That's my line. So what's the consequence? To cocaine use? Yeah. I don't abuse it. I just do a little dabbling. I'm experimenting. I'm living life. No, cocaine use to me is unacceptable. Privileges will be taken away. There will be strict groundation and we will drug test for a while. So this is, listen, I got to give Sky this. In all honesty, I got to give Sky this. Sky has very, you do have clear lines. Yeah. For you, pot's not a hardcore drug. Alcohol's not really a hardcore drug. And so for you, you're like, that's kind of part of growing up. Yes. I will educate my kids that if you do it irresponsibly, there's going to be consequence to it. Yes. But, you know, I'm also going to kind of make it clear to them that I don't consider that a real bad thing like coke and heroin. So I'll give you that. I mean, hey, listen, I don't agree with that line, but that's your line. I mean, it is your line. Yeah.
My scary, scary message. I mean... You know, pot for a lot of people is a gateway drug to a lot of other things, man. And it's just, I don't know. Yeah, which I, you know, believe is a misconception, but to each their own. That's not a misconception. Sky, it has happened for a lot of people. Maybe not you, maybe not certain people, but a lot of people it does. Yeah, there's a lot of people it has and a lot of people it hasn't. Okay. Don't say it's a misconception because it is. How about this? But you can't say either way. If it's, say it's 50-50, then, you know, you can't say either way. How about if it's not? What if, Eddie, what if we were to agree to go? okay, it's not a gateway drug, even though we, you know, we got to concede something here. So I say, okay. It's as much as alcohol, in my opinion. Okay, for sure. So we say, which by the way, I think is a gateway to stuff. I think that for many people you drink and that you're a little like drunk. And so you go, I'll try some Coke. Now, Eddie didn't. Eddie was, Eddie is as normie as it gets when it comes to drinking, man. The guy drinks responsibly. He's always, he always has ever since I ever known him.
But let's say I concede the fact that pot is not a gateway drug. I guess the biggest issue that I would have is that what you're teaching love is, is that some laws are enforceable and some aren't. It's just like speeding. You know what I mean? That's an enforceable. I'm guilty of it. Yeah. Like almost everybody speeds at some point. It doesn't make it right, Mike. It doesn't make it legal. And shouldn't we teach our kids not to? Like I do it. Mike Esparza is guilty of it. We can aspire to having our children not speed. But if they do speed, we're not locking them in a dungeon. Why, Sky, we get locked in the dungeon? We're not taking away their license. Their consequence is paying that ticket. My consequence was paying the ticket. Yeah, that's the consequence. They took a picture of me speeding through a light. That's the consequence. Absolutely. But, oh, okay. Now, in that particular case, I think you're right. Like, if my kid is speeding and they get a picture taken, hey, kid, you got to pay that thing. Dad's not paying it for you. Totally get it. And I'm on the same page with you.
But they are not capable of actually getting in their car and speeding through my house. But they are capable of breaking the law in other ways in my house. And so in that case, the cop's not going to be there inside the house to give him the ticket. Pop's got to. I got to give him the ticket. Well, and I'm not saying I would ever allow my child to break the law inside of my home. What if they were, I said, what if they were drinking the beer? You said you'd sit down with them and have a talk about the dangers of alcohol. Yeah, there would be a long talk. Maybe there would be like a weekend groundation. You would? Yeah, maybe. I don't know. I've never thought of it. But, yeah, I mean, there definitely would be. That's where Uncle Mikey and Uncle Eddie will step in. Oh, gosh. No, thank you. Oh, don't ever let us know. My kids aren't going anywhere near their kids. Do not let us know what you've done with love because we will pull love over. We pull her over. And we will say, guess what? I know mom isn't grounding you. You're grounded. Uncle Eddie. Uncle Mikey. Mikey, drug testing is ridiculous. Obviously, parents today have messed up fake relationships with their kids. This kid is straight edge. Do they know what that means? Mikey, I'm all for home drug testing. Do you think our grandparents were afraid of disciplining their kids? Parents need to not be so scared of their kids. I believe that 100%. Kids get into a thing where they start to manipulate the parents. That's the parents. Go ahead, Ash. You know what I think it's all about? What?
Unconditional love and unmistakable boundaries. That's what my dad said. Unconditional love and unmistakable boundaries. That's what my dad said. He based all three of us kids raising us on just unconditional love and unmistakable boundaries. If you set that line, you set that consequence, you set that boundary, you never break it. But you broke all those boundaries. Oh, yeah, and then he would discipline me. What would he do? what would he not do what would he do depending on the age and what i did it would be 16 years old 16 years old i was a really i was a pretty good kid but i'd get grounded privileges taken away i agree i agree with unconditional love i don't think that there should ever be a condition yeah like i don't believe that i should ever say to jake i'll love you unless i'll love him no matter what for sure unmistakable boundaries absolutely Absolutely. But you've got to follow through. But again, I've got to give Sky credit. I mean, it isn't my boundary, but she says, here's my boundary. So at least you're consistent. You know what I mean? The only thing I have the issue with is that it's not legal. I don't know how you teach her that. I don't know how you say to her, well, love, this one's illegal, but.
But I'm cool with it. There's plenty of things that are illegal that people do every single day. That doesn't make it wrong. How do you teach them that that makes it wrong? So many other things. It's just scary. To me, there's a different scale. You know, if we're talking speeding, if we're talking jaywalking, if we're talking, you know, smoking pot. So do you teach her that those things are wrong, but there's something that we all do, so have at it. No, these things are illegal. These things, the law will crack down on you. These are the consequences in my home for these things. But there's a whole different scale of consequences for these other things, a whole more intense scale. Okay, I'm love. Okay, Mom, so what are the consequences of the first things? The consequences of the first thing? Well, first of all, you'll have to deal with the law if you get in trouble with them. I'm only doing it in the house. Well, you are not doing it in the house. It is unacceptable in the house. If I catch you doing it in the house, there will be consequences. Like what? See, you got to do that. They say. You got to tell them. Yeah, and again, I mean, I'm not a parent, so I haven't thought this through yet. This is all on the fly. I have a feeling, Sky. So where is it okay to do the pot? I'm not saying it's okay to do pot. I have a pot. I have a pot. Do you like my pot? Do you like my pot? Blueberry pancakes. Our text number is 35253. For the first time ever, a new poll shows that a majority of California voters support gay marriage. Well, now I know what Rob does during the times he's not talking. The Red Sox are dominating the early All-Star voting. Five out of the nine starting spots are held by Red Sox. Holy Toledo. Get off the Internet, Rob. How many times can one man vote? 947. You can just keep voting. You know that there's some kid from MIT that's developed a program that all it does is just sit there and vote for 900 hours. Let's see. So we got an email from a kid who is a teenager. Parents want him or her to take a drug test and say that if. He or she does not take said drug test. They're not going to pay for college. And so, you know, what are you going to do? What are you going to do? And the kid says, I don't do drugs. Yeah, he made it very clear. Yes, that is the topic at hand. Yeah. Not Sky's feelings. That is not the topic at hand. Well, no, Sky's feelings were very strong on this.
Sky says pot's legal. Weigh in with whatever you want. No, no, Eddie. What do you mean? Sky, has this, has the backlash made you reconsider your feelings? No. I mean, I don't want a backlash. I think everybody has their own right to raise their kids in their own fashion. But, yeah, I'm not going to. I choose to smoke some ganja. That's all. No, I do not. I put my kids in a bong. That's right. I do not put my baby in a bong. My baby's middle name is Puff Puff King. Yes. That is a creative middle name. P1 Rambler is on the line. Hi, I'm P1 Rambler, and I think that if the kid's got enough beer, he should take the test. I know I'm 15. It sucks. Parents have control over your whole life. But if they're doing something that serious, they'll want to test for that. and you know you're clean, just take the test. Give a little bit of pride and take the test. P1 Rambler, this kid is not taking the test out of principal. That's what he's saying. It's principal, and I know, but it's college, man. You're going to college. They're paying for your college. Sacrifice your principal for your college.
Don't sacrifice it. I think that was a Bob Dylan song. And then you can go. Sacrifice your kids if you want to go to college. And then you can go to college and they can teach you about how never to sacrifice your principles. You don't have principles in college anymore. True, true. Wow. Well, there it is. P1Rambler says compromise your principles for college. Love it. Why not strip while you're at it? If college is the goal, strip to get through college, right? But are you kind of contradicting yourself, Mike? Because you say the kid should follow the parent's rule. And this is the parent's rule. So even if the kid is against it, that's the parent's rule. Hang on. I'm not saying that I agree with the kid. I'm not saying that. Well, you're comparing him taking the test to stripping. I'm saying that it is a compromise of the principles if the kid says, fine, I'm going to take the test. That doesn't mean I agree with the kid. Oh, okay. So you do agree with him compromising his principles.
No. If his principles are... I don't want to take the test even though it's my parents' rule. It's the rules. It's the law. You're not really allowed principles when you're living at your parents' house. It's the law. Okay. Like the principle is overridden by the law unless, of course, you want to stick by your principles and take the consequence. Just like this. Let's say I want to break my principle of stealing. Okay, now I realize that the principle of stealing is my due time in jail. Okay. If you're willing to face the consequence, that's the consequence, is jail time if you're caught. What if your principle was, I don't clean rooms? That's a good one. You know, you can't. That's great that that's your principal, but you still got to do it. What if your principal is smoking pot makes me, you know, have a better experience with my music? It's a principal. And music is everything. And, you know, that's my principal in life, man. Sorry, bro. You're going to jail. You can't. Parent jail. He's just trying to jam. No, no. You can't do that to me, bro.
Oh, Dylan. You're not allowed to see Brenda. Oh, no. You know what? I can follow your rules, but I also have to follow my heart. That's next on 90210. Dylan gets into a massive motorcycle accident following his principles. He was high on the weed. What means more? Principles or his head injury? Yeah. Can't believe you did this to me. That's net open to the music. Cut. P1 Christina. Hey, I was just calling because this exact situation happened over the past weekend with my son who's 16. And, you know, we had to sit down, talk with him and said, we are going to drug test you because he is preparing to get his driver's license and he needs to be responsible on the road. And part of being responsible is not smoking pot or drinking.
And I couldn't have been happier to hear you guys say that on the air. My son, he gets A's and B's in school. He's a good kid. you know go out but there's rules but if he's a good kid if he's a good kid rules don't apply but if he's a good kid why are they making him jump through hoops he's already proven he's a good kid he's a good responsible yes yes and if i were to follow that thought sky that means that as long as you're a good person rules don't apply as long as you take care of your business it's like why is it so bad If you have to take a test, you have to take a test to get your driver's license. You have to take two tests, actually. A driving test and a written test. Why not a drug test? Nobody passes those driving tests anyway. There are difficult. But seriously, what's the big deal? See if you can find one of the driving tests before the hour's over. We should do that. I will fail. What? Are you ready, Eddie?
No question about it. There you will. I had to take it. There you will. Yeah, Doug, forget it. I'm from Mass. I'm the smartest people on the planet. Thank you, Mike. Rob, find California. I'm looking right now. Okay, we'll get to that later. Let's stick on this topic, and that is that this guy wants to break the rules. He's unbelievable. Well, I just know if I was a good kid, if I was getting A's and B's, if I was taking care of my business, if I was never getting in trouble, it would break my heart if my parents came to me and were like. Break your heart. It would. I'd be like, what? You don't trust me? You don't think I'm responsible enough to not get behind the wheel intoxicated? No, I don't. In fact, sweetheart. So you don't think I'm responsible enough? Sweetheart. Sweetheart. Well, okay then. No, no, no. Well, you just told me how you feel about me. You don't trust me, even though I'm a great kid. You be my kid. Let's talk it through. I just did talk it through. I just did. I just did, Dad. Come on. Let's start again. Come on. No, you've already ruined it, Dad. I get it. You don't trust me even though I've given you no reason to disrespect. My daughter, Sky. My daughter, Sky. My daughter, Sky. Hang on. You did, though. I just came home. You're drinking a beer. I was not drinking a beer. I'm about to get my driver's license, and you said you want to drug test me because I'm about to get my driver's license. Oh, Eddie, how do you feel about that? If you have nothing to worry about, then what's the big deal?
Well, Dad, I'm totally responsible. I'm taking care of everything. Do you not trust me? I do trust you, but you take a driver's test, you take a written test, and this is required by me to get a license. Well, you're not the government, Dad. No, but I'm your parent, and I'm telling you what's going on. You could chicken dance your way through this one. I got her, Mike. You got her. No, I hate you. I hate you. I hate you, Dad. Well, I love you, and I want to make sure you're okay. I want to make sure you're okay. You don't trust me. You don't trust me. It's just one of the rules. Now, wait a minute. If your parents had done that, I think... Go ahead, Rob. I was going to say, if any of your parents had done that to you, don't you see there would have been some kind of... Yeah, yeah, yeah. Personally, I wouldn't do... I wouldn't drug test my kid before getting a driver's license. I wouldn't necessarily do that. But I would definitely have rules. I mean, listen, you guys know my background. I'm an addict. I'm a recovering alcoholic. You guys know my background. So it isn't like I go, it's not like I'm intolerant to growing up. I understand that Jake, if he's got his old man's genes, the kid was probably born an addict, okay? And so that kid's probably going to want to experiment, especially when he looks at his old man's arms and goes, oh, my dad's with the tattoos and my dad, I know he's an addict. So what's up, dad? You did this. I can't do it. And my answer to him is going to be, no, not in the house.
You can't. As a matter of fact. Not on my watch. Not on my watch. Sorry. Well, you're saying not anywhere. No, let me finish. Sorry. Yeah, let me finish. While you're under my roof, this is what I expect from you. Now, when you're out, when you're 18 years old and you don't live here anymore, you're an adult, you can do whatever you want. Now, I'm going to tell you, I hope that what you'll do is continue to follow these rules because it's against the law if you don't. My dad never said those things to me, by the way. My dad never said that kind of stuff. He never took me aside and said certain things because I was a real pain in the butt when I was about 14. And I used to get very verbally abusive with my pop. And I don't think he wanted it. So he kind of backed off a little bit. And plus, he was pretty rough with the other ones. And so he didn't want to continue to be real rough with me. So he loosened up. You mean your older brothers? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Mark and Sam, they got it bad. Steve-O? Really? They got it bad. In fact, I learned something about discipline yesterday. If your kid does something wrong, please listen to this one. Parents, if your kid does something wrong, do not tell them that they are a bad boy or a bad girl. If your kid does something wrong, do not tell them that they are a bad boy or a bad girl. Why? Because they're not. What they did was not.
Good, and it was bad. Don't hit them over the nose with the newspaper. Do not do that. Fine. Hitting is bad. Well, I think that we have varying opinions on this. No. My wife agrees with you. Another day. You don't agree with saying hitting is bad? I believe that I... Because that's saying the action is bad. Sky, give me one moment. Maybe we shouldn't veer off topic. Give me one moment to collect myself. Another day. I don't think we should. I don't, I don't believe, I don't believe, I believe in spanking. Oh my God. I know, I know, I know. It's tough because. So we can't say hitting is bad, but we can hit our child. Okay. See, Rebecca has this same thing and she says it just like, I mean, it's like I'm hearing my wife right now and I kind of get where she's coming from. I do, I do. You know what she said to me that I thought was the most compelling? She goes, so let me get this straight. You're going to teach our kid. To not do something by doing it. Thank you. That hits home to me. It resonates. It really does. It seems illogical. And it seems counterintuitive. It doesn't sound right. Sends mixed messages to the. Hey, listen. I'm on board. I'm on board. In fact, we're doing it this way. We're doing it her way.
We're doing it Rebecca's way. Rebecca wasn't spanked growing up. She turned into a great kid. It didn't send mixed messages to me. I was spanked as a kid. I mean, it didn't send any mixed messages to me. It was the only thing that worked with me. I knew that I did something wrong, and it was my punishment. That didn't mean I'm going to go out and punish somebody else. For sure. It was the only thing that worked with me. See, and you guys know that the Bible's my owner's manual. Rebecca and I disagree on what spare the rod means. We disagree. To me, it means... It means don't hold back. It doesn't mean abuse your kid, but it means, you know, you discipline him physically. And she says, no, I don't think that's what it means. I think it means, you know, you blow him kisses and stuff. She says you give him butterfly kisses. If they're bad, you come up to them with your eyelashes and you bat them against their eyelashes. I know it. There's so many conversations.
Eddie's seeing the brakes. We took like one call is all we. Ma. Man. Oh, we're getting so many text messages, phone calls. It's impossible. It's impossible. 570-1053 is our phone number. What happened? Our text number is 35253. What a topic. It's like I've never lived before my life with you. Much was missing here and there. What's stupid it? The show is on. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Well, we're starting to see some better-looking freeways as Esquipe winds down here. You've got the 5805 northbound. Both these freeways looking pretty good in the National City. 805, though, once you get into North Park, jammed up pretty good at approaching the 163 for a slow one up over the 52. Northbound 5 also seeing some heavy traffic here just past the 15 into the downtown S-curve. The West 94 King Freeway, that's a good-looking ride here. Just a minor delay left over here into downtown from 32nd Street. The westbound 8 is also looking nice in the Mission Valley. Just a brief delay at the 805 as you make that right-hand turn onto that freeway. South by through the 15s, though, still pretty jammed up out of Escondido off the 78th of your Rancho Parkway. It actually extends over Lake Hodges now through Rancho Bernardo and Carmel Mountain Ranch. The westbound 56 backing up here from right around Carmel Valley Road to the 5 and your coaster ride. South 5 staying quite tough out of Lucadia for a solid slow wind in the Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3.
P1 Sanjaya. What's going on, Mikey? What's going on, dude? You went to sleep train? I went out to sleep train and bought myself a mattress finally. When did you do it? I went this Sunday, actually. Cool. What did you get? Yeah, I got the Beautyrest Comfort Classic. Did they deliver it Sunday, Monday, or when? Sunday when I told them to because I was moving that day. Really? It worked out perfect. That's pretty awesome. Yeah. Did they take your, well, wait a minute. If you were moving, did they have to take your set or did you get rid of it yourself? No, I got rid of it myself. So they bring the new one in. Did they set it up for you? They set it up for me within like five minutes. And how did it feel that first night? Just like being in heaven. That's awesome, man. That's awesome, dude. That's awesome. Yeah, I tell people about Sleepton. Did they give you a good price? Oh, yeah, dude. I went in there after the promotion about getting everything for free. And the dude still threw it. and everything for free. And after I told him that Mikey sent me personally, he knocked off 700 bucks. That's awesome. Yeah. All right, brother. Thank you, Sanjaya. All right, dude. Talk to you later, man. Sleep change your ticket to a better night's sleep. It's Mikey. Featuring the Battle of the Sexes. Welcome back to Battle of the Sexes. Team Sass. Calm down with that. Well, you guys are tied. I mean, Team Sass and Team Awesome are tied here. We know. Chantel. What?
You may get this. Oh, I hope so. Doubtful. Oh, my gosh. Chantal, what's Rambo's first name? Eddie laughs in her face. I didn't know he had a first name. I am Rambo. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3 MC and Rambo. Welcome back. It's 8.30. New Idol winner David Cook says that he just started dating former Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell. Whoa. NBA playoffs last night. The Lakers got back to business, beating the Spurs in Game 4, 93-91. Welcome back to the show. It is Mikey's show. When is the season finale of Lost? Tomorrow, dude. Oh, my gosh. Strap yourselves in. The season finale is tomorrow. That's crazy.
Some say that this has been the best season of Lost. My wife says that. It ranks up there with season one. My wife says she was in love with season one of Lost and she says that this one for her is better. Riveting. Riveting. This is what I can play for you. This is Ben. Talking about the people on the freighter. Cut 43. Your instinct was right, John. These people are a threat. And if you shoot me, you'll never know how great a threat they were. Because I know what they're doing here. I know what they want. What do they want? Me, James. They want me. I'm telling you, man, there's not a lot of shows that you listen to a clip and it creeps you out and you're into it. It sounds that good. It's so good.
That lost is good, man. That's a cool thing. What exactly is going on there? What are we hearing? What's happening there? What is he saying? Well, there's these people on the boat and they want to come on the island and, you know, they don't know what's going on and they don't know if they're good guys there to rescue them or bad guys. And so Ben says he's got a mole on the boat and that's how he knows they're bad guys. And they're going to kill everybody on the island to get him. That's right. Explain who Ben is. Oh, Mike. I mean, how much time do you have, bro? Really? It's that complicated? It's so good. There's a lot. Yeah, he's been on the island for a very long time. He's not part of the people who crashed on the island. He's a mastermind. And he's not really part of the others. No, no. He's kind of an evil genius. You never really know if he's trying to help or if he's trying to send you out. Is he part of the Dharma Initiative? Is he not? We don't know. Lots going on, Mike. He is a mass murderer, though. Yes. In the future, we know he's off the island, but he's not part of the Oceanic Six. No. Yes. He's a mass murderer in the future? No. No. No. In the past. From the island. He kind of killed the original Dharma people. Really? Yes. Yeah. But we don't know why. Well, Mike, you're asking questions. We don't have time to answer. Eddie, do you know why? Why he killed them? Mm-hmm. I don't remember. And talking to Lockcut44. I feel for you, John. I really do. You keep hitting dead ends.
Couldn't find the cabin. Can't make contact with Jacob. You're so desperate to figure out what to do next. You're even asking me for help. So here we are, just like old times. Except I'm locked in a different room. And you're more lost than you ever were. The actor's name is Michael Emerson. Michael, how are you this morning? That's a good clip. You're so good. Yes, yes, yes. You know things that we don't know. And we wish that we could get inside your brain and know the answers. I feel like John Locke right now. Like, I really want to know what's going on in there. Yeah. Did you know, Michael, that your character, Ben, was eventually going to become the main focal point of the show when you signed on to play that role? So you must be pretty stoked. What happened?
And within that framework, I think they do a little bit of improvising. And I think they knew that they wanted to introduce a villain, but they didn't know exactly which of their choices of villains. So they tried this one, and they tried me out in the role, and I guess it clicked. Are you calling from the island right now? Yes. Terrible. Your phone is a little strange, and I think you're calling. Sorry. Am I? Am I better now? That sounds a little bit better. I think that he's calling from Oceanic Airlines and he's on the plane. Oh, wow. This is what we know. You're not a part of the Oceanic Six, but you do get off the island. Ben gets off the island. Right. So how is that if you're not a part of the Oceanic Six? Tell us how that happens. Yeah. Well, Ben has his own, I mean, Ben has his own ways and he has his own agenda. Ben isn't... I don't think Ben officially exists. No. Really? Yeah. He doesn't have a social security card. We're talking to Michael Emerson. He plays Ben from Lost. He basically hit the lottery. Oh, man. Well, he's that good, though. I think, like, I really believe this was, like he was saying, he only got signed on for three episodes. But, like, as soon as that first episode aired with him, like, everybody loved him. Everybody, the reviews were raving about him. And I believe that's why they decided to, you know,
make the show around him, and I'm so happy they did. You're my favorite character, Ben. Wow. Michael, his name isn't Ben. His name is not Ben. It is Ben. His name is Michael Emerson. He plays Ben. No, Michael Emerson is like a mind trick he's pulling on you. Michael, I have a question for you, and you must answer it. Do you know who Jacob is? Don't you lie to me. Yes, you do. Dang it. I mean, I do not know. I believe that Ben knows who Jacob is. Yes. What about who's in the coffin? Oh, we've been wondering so long. This has been a subject of debate for a while. Who's in the coffin? That's a good one. Stop it. Don't say that's a good one anymore. Don't say that. Number one small mystery of the season. Yeah. So how much in advance? You're going to visit. We're going to visit. You're going to see the coffin again soon.
He's giving stuff to us. He's giving little pearls of stuff. Michael, how much in advance do you get the script? Do you freak out when you read it? Have you ever slipped up and given out a secret? Come on, tell us something. Sky's got a question. I'm wondering, so do you, like, because, you know, the writers of Lost are so smart, and they put all these references in that's for the viewers. Sometimes it takes us a while to figure out, like, Henry Gale is a reference to the guy from The Wizard of Oz and all this and that. Are these things that, like, are you a smart guy? Do you get these things right away, or do you, like, read on the Internet? Oh, that's what that meant. No, I'm really slow on the uptake. Usually people tell me weeks later. Oh, really?
Right. Like the fact that Charlotte's name is C.S. Lewis. Wow. Wow. Michael, do you have a particularly good chemistry or enjoy working with a particular actor in a certain way? You always look forward to scenes with the particular person? We have a lot of scenes together on famously, and the work goes quickly and sort of joyfully when I have scenes with him. Michael Emerson working on bringing back the term famously. I like it. I support it. Eddie has a question. Yeah, Michael, can you give us any kind of tidbit of what to expect on the season finale tomorrow? Bugged and violent and bloody as the whole season has been. There's a lot of things that go boom, and there's machinery that doesn't work, and there's changes of climate, and there are casualties. There's a polar bear in season one, so of course there's going to be changes in climate. That's crazy!
Thank you. Thank you. That's crazy. Has a fan ever gotten a little too excited, besides me, has a fan ever gotten a little too excited to meet you guys? Zeth has been weeping in the corner ever since we started. He does that, though? Every day, though? Every day he does. Oh, wow. And held their baby up in front of my face and said, his name is Ben. Oh, that is weird. Oh, my gosh. You know what? Hey, Michael, you know what you should have said? You should have said, no, it's not. And then they would have really been freaked out. Yeah, they played the sound effect. Yeah, you could have been like, that's not his name. That would have been awesome.
I love it. Michael Emerson plays Ben from Lost. He's creepy, man. No. That character's creepy, dude. He's just a good listener. Good listener. Lost has a two-hour season finale tomorrow, 9 o'clock, ABC. Congratulations on being you, Michael. And congratulations on the success of the show, and we look forward to watching the season finale. Talking to you. All right, we'll see you later. That's Michael Emerson. Wow. Machinery doesn't work. What does that mean? Climate change. Climate change. What's he talking about? What machinery? The smoke machine. And he referenced the polar bear. No, Mike did. I know, but then he was like, oh, yeah. He said, hold on to that. Hold on to that thought. He was messing with it. Mind tricks. Ben's known for his mind tricks. Can't figure him out. Are you okay, Mike? What's your question? Why does the island...
heal some people and not heal others? That's a great question, Eddie. Good question. Get him back on line. Michael Emerson. Yeah, I'm sure he will. Some people are connected, man. That's what I'm saying, Shawty-o. I get so upset that I have stopped watching. I get really upset. When I hear that, I know it. I hear that and I get excited. I'm like, it's missing out. Best show ever. Ever. On television. Uh, let's see. Here's some emails we're getting on the topic of the kid that had the good grades, but his parents want to drug test them. If that, if great students think, oh wait, if, if that great students drinks that drives, well said, if that great subject first, what good are straight A's if that great student drinks and drives and kills another student?
Smarts in school doesn't always go hand in hand with withstanding peer pressure in a social situation, let alone if the kid is straight A's and has an addictive personality, which you wouldn't know until they started drinking. P1 Crazy Logic. Think about that, Scott. Yeah, you think about that polar bear. What should we do? We should talk about lost forever. Forever, Mike. I want to. For the next seven hours. I don't know any of this. I know it. You're no fun. I seriously would talk to you guys because I like it. Let's see. Obama clarifies Auschwitz comments. What? Can these two just shut up? I mean, what is he? What is he? Sean's pastor? What's going on here? That's a great reference, Mike. Oh, Sean is.
Oh, you got him there. Wait a second. Hang on a minute. All I meant by that. Hang on. I think we know what you meant. All I meant by that was, you know, only Sean's rabbi has the authority to be able to say, well, you know. He's not a rabbi. I thought he was a, what was he? He's a minister. He's a former monk. Exactly. He was? Monkey? No, you meant monkey. That was the little guy running around at the wedding. That was the greeter. That was the greeter. You know, he had on the little... He had the fez on when he was there. No, he was a Catholic monk. And he had a little box in his hand with a little... Oh, no. With a little thing where he turned it... He'd speak for like 20 years. It was like that kind of deal. What did he say, Sky? Not... He said that they should walk hand in hand to the ovens. He said that? Sean's minister said that? At the wedding. He was talking about the ovens. That's an uncomfortable thing to say. That's an uncomfortable thing to say. And all of us looked at each other and were like, why would someone say that? Our jaws dropped open at the wedding. And then the monkey stepped in the raisin rice.
It did not happen. That's what happened. I mean, yeah. I mean, I almost fell off my pillow. You know what? Yes, Skye? You know what I would love? I was sitting on the edge of my pillow. Well, this is a big controversy and Sean denies it. So what I think we all owe the audience is for Sean to take his wedding video. Yes. and to pull the audio from it and let us listen to the audio. Sean, do you have the video? Of course he does. Who doesn't video their video? Awesome. We didn't shoot any video. No, what? That's a lie. We didn't. That's a lie. Let's bring the monkey in as a witness. The monkey saw everything. But anyway, in regards to Obama. He was talking about a movie. That's right, he was. Yeah, Schindler's List. Schindler's List at the time. United 93 hadn't come out yet. That's right. Oh, so good, Eddie. Extra points for that. Wow. Shawnee, come on. We got to hear the video of it. I don't have a video, I swear. Did you have like a tape recorder? Yes. The kind that you play and record? You guys did not video your wedding. No.
There's no videos allowed in those restaurants. In Moroccan restaurants? You can't have them in there. That's weird. They don't let you have... The belly dancers didn't want it. No. We're not kidding. I wish I was there to like... Stop it. What are you... Listen, we're only making an observation. Guys, he's jonesing for blue cake. That's the problem. There was blue cake. It was bright blue. Sean didn't like the cake. What? Sean had an issue with the cake. What flavor is it? It was the Taj Mahal. It was shaped like the Taj Mahal. This is all true stories, by the way. Lest anybody think we're giving... Because Sean is from Morocco? No. He's the whitest white guy I've ever met. His wife is. No, his wife's not Moroccan. No, she's German. Is that so crazy? It was a themed wedding. It was either Star Trek or that. I wish I would have gone for a trick. Me too. This would have had seats. I'm sorry you had an awful time. No, it was awful. It was the best. It was the best. It was the best. It was just plain. Oh, no. We loved it. We had a blast. We loved it. You didn't even eat. Well, that's true, but I still had a great time. I'm sorry it ruined your day. I thought the desserts were really great. The blue cake? Yeah, that, what was it, fig cake or whatever, you know, the fig dumplings? Wow. They had a thing that came in and the monkey brought around. What?
Anyway. Anyway, so Obama was speaking on Memorial Day. Shawnee, they had this dessert. It was called latke. It was the guy that was in taxi. It was named after the guy from Taxi. Latke. What was that? No, Shawnee was good. No, what was that stuff that came around that was squares? Fig Newtons? It wasn't Fig Newtons. Because that would be normal and delicious. The tea was excellent. Was it baklava? Oh, that's good. It was really good. All of it was good. I like the goat. Eddie, they didn't roast a goat. I could have sworn I ate goat. No, there was no goat. What the hell was I eating? It was like lamb. I remember Eddie saying, man, this goat is good. I initially thought Sky donated the goat to the wedding. For my friend. Yes. On your wedding day. The bow around it is really nice. I present to you this goat from my farm to you. Did the best man happen to be Balky from Purple Standard? Shawnee, oh boy, come on, stop it. Shut up, Booster C. All right. Come on.
Sky, so what did Obama say? Okay, so Obama was speaking to a group of veterans Monday on Memorial Day and was talking about how proud he was of his great uncle's service in World War II and said that his uncle helped liberate the camps in Auschwitz. So... The Republican Party is like, that doesn't sound right because it was actually Soviet troops that liberated Auschwitz. So unless your uncle was serving the Red Army, there's no way what you're saying could be true. So when he was called on it, Obama's people looked into it, and it actually wasn't Auschwitz. It was another camp that his uncle, so he got the name of the camp wrong. But the story is true, but it was actually Dachau. Buchenwald. Buchenwald. And so he says, I'm sorry I got it wrong, but my great uncle was a veteran, and I'm very proud of his service. Yeah, a little different. He didn't know where he went. Adrian Gonzalez, man. He's really good. He's on fire right now. He's hit 147 home runs in the last two innings of baseball. That is not true. Two innings. That's a lot.
He's hit a lot, though, right, Eddie? Well, he's hit 10 home runs this month alone, including one last night, leaving the Padres to a 4-2 win over Washington. Nice. When we come back, I am going to play for you what I've been telling you I was going to play for you a while ago. Usher freaking out yesterday on TRL. He got upset about, apparently, rumors. He's upset about rumors. And when he was on TRL, he decided to take the opportunity. The Fleetwood Mac out? Yes, the album Rumors. He does not like the song Secondhand News. He's a jerk, man. And I don't know what his problem is. Join the P1 Text Army. Text Mikey to 35253. Standard rate supply. It's the P1 Text Army. His charm is so contagious, vaccines have been created for it. Years ago, he built a city out of blocks. Today, over 600,000 people live and work there.
He is the only man to ever ace a Rorschach test. Every time he goes for a swim, dolphins appear. Alien abductors have asked him to probe them. If he were to give you directions, you'd never get lost, and you'd arrive at least five minutes early. His legend precedes him the way lightning precedes thunder. He is the most interesting man in the world. I don't always drink beer. Amco is leading the way. This is what I mean by that. They have guys that network with other guys that work at Amco. Now, first of all, when you think about Amco, you may not even know exactly what it is that Amco does. A lot of people know transmissions, right? So when that check engine light comes on in your car, you go, okay, yep, Mikey's talked about that. Take it to Amco.
But that's not all they do. They also do breaks, oil changes. They do things of this nature. And you got to remember that because they're leading the way in networking with other AMCO guys. So when they face some kind of an issue with maybe a certain year, make or model, they load it into that database system and they all know about it. Plus, these guys are tested regularly. I went down and spent about an hour just talking to them, going through the shop, finding out what I could find out. I'm telling you, no appointment needed. Go to Amco. Amco is double A-M-C-O. I am a very, very twitchy person, and I feel like it's because I have ADD. The Mikey Show is on.
Rock 105.3. No, wait a second, dude. That's Lindsey Buckingham. Lindsey Buckingham. No, no, no. Lindsey's a guy in this case, man. He's good, dude. He's good. Oh, I love this music. Welcome back. It's 9.01. The San Diego School District announced yesterday that the jobs of close to 700 teachers and other employees will be saved. I know you guys were all very worried and concerned, but it's okay. Big Brown returned to the track for the first time since its injury yesterday. Really? Yeah. That's good news. It's going to be okay, I think. Oh, good. That's good stuff. Go for the triple crown, and then they'll put it down. Eddie. Don't. Eddie. You don't know, right? Maybe. Who knows, Scott? You don't know. If he got hurt, you don't know. I don't want to hear those things. That's what happens. I want to live in the sweet world of denial. Please. Did you guys know that Sanjaya just filmed a commercial for Nationwide Insurance?
P1 Sanjaya? No, not P1 Sanjaya. Like the actual Sanjaya from American Idol. That is awesome. I'm Sanjaya from Nationwide Insurance. You should get it. That's crazy. Is he pretty irrelevant at this point? Yeah. Yeah, well, I think because it's one of those life comes at you fast commercials that they do. So I guess in this commercial, he visits an Indian monastery for advice and they tell him he needs a retirement plan and he also needs to work on his hair. He goes with, I think, the big old mohawk in there. Wow. In Milwaukee, they're going to put up a bronze statue of the Fonz. Sweet. Okay. That's where he's from. Sounds appropriate. That's where the fawns is from. Can we petition one for the big ragu? Yeah, we should, right? No, the fawn statue will represent all of Happy Days. Well, Laverne and Shirley was a spinoff. Hello. Well, actually, it's funny you mention that, Eddie, because they say that at the dedication ceremony in August of the fawn statue, most of the Happy Days cast will be there, including Laverne and Shirley. I would not go.
If you were a cast member? If I was a cast member, I would say, you know what, guys? Let's say you're Potsy. Okay, thank you. Donnie Most? No, that was Ralph. That was Ralph. Anson Williams. Anson Williams, thank you. Thank you very much. If I were Anson, I would say, listen, I appreciate the offer. I think it's wonderful. I can't make it, but thank you. Why can't you make it? Actually, let me rephrase that. I want to just say thank you very much. I won't be going, but I do thank you. You'll be the only living cast member to not show up. Don't you want to steal your old friends? I'm going to actually talk my other cast members into not going as well. I'm going to do that. You're a bad person, Patsy. I'm a good person. If it was a Patsy statue, would you show up? No. Really? Right. Lies. Would you guys want, wouldn't you, if you guys were the cast members of Happy Days, want to kind of like have that be what you used to do and not be a part of that anymore? At this point? What are they doing? I mean, only Richie Cunningham. Sky's giving me a look like, no way. I would love it. You'd be totally in, Sky? Yeah. If you were Aaron Gay, or was it Aaron Gray? You mean the chick who works at the radio station in San Jose?
Erin Gray. Is that who you're talking about? Yes, yeah, yeah. The chick that works for the radio station. What is it? Erin Gray? Yes. Is that her name? Erin Moran. That was her name. Aaron. Shawna Moran. Oh, my gosh. I almost spewed water everywhere. If you were Erin Gay, though. Holy crap. Would you really? If you were Robert Stephens. Would you really want to? Like, I'd be like, come on, man. You know why? Because they're like. way older now. They don't look like Patsy anymore. Okay, check this out, Mike. Say the Mikey Show goes away in a couple years and this is like the height of our success and then you end up like working in a bookstore or whatever you do. Oh, bookstore. Is it at least Bonds and Nobles? Yes, it is. It is. But he's working at the coffee section. He's a barista. Yeah. But anyway, and then you get a call 10 years down the line going, we're doing this thing. We really want to honor the Mikey Show. We'd love for you to come. I would be a little embarrassed, I think. You know why? I'm like, guys, come on. We're not relevant anymore. But they want to honor you. Now it's, you know, Chokey and Doki are on the air at that station now. They are the best. I would say. No TV show lasts forever. Yeah. So, you know. Exactly. Eddie just. No, Eddie. Eddie's going against you. Thank you, Eddie. It's an honor. They're trying to honor you.
I think that's very sweet. I wouldn't be rude. I would say that's very nice. That's very nice. Honestly, I think I'm a little embarrassed to go be, you know, Potsy. Well, get over yourself. I'm embarrassed to be Potsy. Get over yourself. I am. I'm over it. I'm over it. But now that I'm over it, I've decided that, you know, Potsy is, you know, he's, you know. Well, how about it's less about you or for the fans? God rest his soul. Or for the fans. For the fans. Yes, it's for the fans. For the fans. Boy, that makes it harder. For the troops. P1 Sight is putting on a thing. That makes it. What are you guys doing? Way harder. Where's our statue? We're still on the air. Who cares? We should still be honored by them. Oh, come on. If you guys wouldn't feel like, especially like, imagine us 10 years from now. You know, we're all bald by then, not just me. Especially Sky. Looking good. You know what I mean? And we're just like, what are we going to do? Go get on a platform. And, like, you know, they go, and ladies and gentlemen, now they play this. You know, they're like, it's the Mikey, member of the Mikey Show. Yeah. I come up, I'm like, hey, guys, thanks for, uh. That's how you're going to talk. Yeah. Only 10 years. 10 years. 10 years. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Unfortunately, Eddie passed away a couple years ago, but man. Seth wishes he could be here, but he's sleeping. With a dude. I mean, every time. So if you guys were Happy Days people, you'd go. Of course. In a heartbeat. You wouldn't be embarrassed to be like the old Potsy Weber? I got nothing else going on. I wouldn't either, but I'd be like, I can't be. It's a free trip, bro. I'm not Potsy anymore. I am Potsy. Forever. Especially Henry Winkler, dude. He's done Night Shift, and he's really had some great success. How about Arrested Development? Arrested Development. Hello. Just give them a statue. Hello. A banana stand. Think about it. How dare you. Ah, there's the woman I'm sexually attracted to. That was a beautiful character. What was his name? It's not Joe. His name's David Cross. And his character... Tobias. That actor is phenomenal. Nobody in the world.
could have ever played that. Ash, did you watch Arrested Development? Dude, Michael Cera. You would love it. Michael Cera. I've seen like one episode. You should get the DVDs. I've seen like one episode and I like it. I wish they would. It's so brilliant. That show is so brilliantly funny. Michael Cera's a bigger actor now. Will Arnett, all those guys are huge actors now. I think that if I had to think of one of my favorite episodes of Arrested Development, it was the one where And by the way, this is where I developed my man crush for Jason Bateman. You have such a man crush. I'm telling you, he is my favorite, favorite comedic actor. Favorite ever. He is so gifted and funny and brilliantly funny. I loved him in Juno. I want to see Juno for him. Yeah, he was good. I loved him in that Smoke and Aces. He was in it for five minutes. I thought he was hysterical. I thought he was great.
But my favorite episode was where his character, Michael, is trying to teach his son, George Michael. His name is George Michael. It just happens. That's his name. He's trying to teach his son a lesson in life. And he does it the way that he was taught. He sets up a fake police sting operation to teach him a lesson. Oh, that's okay. The guy's arm falls off. Yes. A little extreme. Now, you know me. You know how I love realism and I don't like over the top? Arrested Development is so over the top that it goes the opposite way. It's brilliant because it's so ridiculous. It's so ridiculous. But it's subtle, too. There are subtle things that are hysterical about it that you kind of have to pay attention to. He's so smart. George Michael, the kid, has a crush on his cousin. Maybe? Her name is Maybe. Maybe, yeah. Her name is Maybe. I want to watch the whole season. Let's see. Bob Bob Law. Is that the lawyer? Yeah, Bob Law. Bob, his name is Bob. Bob Law. His last name is Bob Law? Bob Law. So it's Bob-a-Blaw. It's awesome. So good. P1 Mohawk. Best team ever. Hey, what's up, guys? What's up?
Hey, I was just calling about the Fonzie thing. Yeah? I actually grew up worshiping Fonzie. Who didn't? Yeah, exactly. But no, I saw an interview one time with Henry Winkler, and he said that when people come up and still call them the Fonz, he's actually pretty stoked about it. He said he's never been bummed about that, and he's always been really, really happy that people come up and call them the Fonz. It was like his defining character. It doesn't bother him at all. I wonder if he really means that, if he's being sincere about that. He actually sounded pretty sincere. He is so not the Fonz, Henry Winkler. Henry Winkler is not the Fonz. Especially now. He's like, you know, hey. He's more like the coach and the water boy. Yes, that is true. Thank you, bro. Thanks for the call. Okay, you want to hear Usher on TRL? Yes. So Usher was on TRL, and I know a lot of people, boy, isn't this kid stuff? Well, TRL is an MTV show, and it is kids. It's like young kids go see that. But the reason that this is an interesting clip is because Usher got upset, and he was upset about rumors, and this just happened. Cut 16.
someone very special to settle down with, then you change, you know? And of course, a lot of great things have happened. You know, I'm a now stepdad and as well as a dad to baby Cinco out there. Love my wife very, very much. Little rumor earlier this week about us separating. It ain't true. Right. We in love. Right. Get out of there. Well, in a few, fans are going to get the chance to ask. Matter of fact, I'm tired of people continuing to talk so much trash about me. You know what I'm saying? Me and my relationship. My wife is not 40 years old. I love her to death. And I'm a black strong man in America standing up for my people as well as a man. to my wife, to my son, to my family. I'm making a stand that a lot of us should make. I could have been like any other man who would have a child and just, you know, live with that woman and continue to just, you know, play the game. But I'm sorry. I did say that I was doing the show today, didn't I? All right, well, anyway. But, you know, definitely I'm trying to do it the right way. This is the way you should do it. Pay attention, fellas.
There's nothing left to say. And a few fans are going to get the chance to ask us for some personal questions. Today we're showing you videos that made us... And my wife had nothing to do with me firing my mother. Nothing like that. I heard that trash. That's trash. You know y'all talking crazy out there. She's a beautiful black woman. Stop. Buddy from New York. Thank you so much. We appreciate it. We're showing you videos that made this man so successful. Usher young Jeezy and loving his club. You okay? You're not done. Can I say something else? What happened there? Okay. What just happened? That was uncomfortable. Yeah. What else? I think he was on his period. Hey, man, you got a few minutes. I just want to say some stuff. What's up with my mailman? Yeah. Yeah. And what's up with like Netflix always saying, you know, you don't have to return it and you're always in a queue and all that stuff. Like, what's up, Netflix? Come on.
And what's up with Nordstrom's return policy? Like, you can take anything back, no question to ask. Like, come on, man. That's the truth. What's up with that, man? How come, hey, can I just, for just a second? If I may. How come Domino's stopped at 30 years free? What happened? What's up? Where's the Noid? Yeah, man, what happened to the Noid? She okay. How come Caesars don't do the little cartoon, the piece of pizza? What's up with that? What's up with that? Can I have a second? First of all, what's going on with the last 15 minutes of No Country for Old Men? What's up? What's up with that? That ain't right. Yeah, dude. Dorothy Hamill at the end of the movie, he's like, I'm out of here. Like, what's up with that? Breaks his arm. And then Fugitive is talking for like 10 minutes and I'm like, what's up? What's up? Can I just have a second? How come stamps went up again, man? I don't even have them forever. Forever stamps. Forever my butt. Kirk Cameron on Good Morning America. Why? Oh, dude looks the same. I saw some of this. Is there a Growing Pains reunion? I don't know. What's going on? Maybe. Cut 20... Me and Eddie saw Kirk Cameron on the freeway in the middle of the state of New York. Upstate New York. Really? Two people on the whole freeway. Us and him and his wife. That's crazy. Seriously. Like, it was...
Wow. This long, gigantic strip of freeway. Eddie and I were driving to Pittsburgh from Rochester. And we're out there. And I don't remember which one of us, but one of us was like, dude, I think that's Kirk Cameron next to us. Well, I was a passenger, so I think I saw him first. And I go, dude, Kirk Cameron just passed us. I go, go catch him. We went up and caught him and pulled up side by side. And we kind of like gave him a wave. And he waved back at us like, yeah, it's me. She was on the show, too. Yeah, she was on the show, too. Was sitting next to him in the passenger seat. They were both like, you got us. It's us. And then we were like, we didn't really care that much. So this was Kirk Cameron talking about what it was like to be a famous teenager. Cut 23. Let's go back in time. Mike Seaver Fever. Remind people about what your life was like back then. Well... Growing Pain started when I was 14 years old, and that's more than 20 years ago. And it was a very different reality. It was being a kid in a very adult world, in a bit of a pressure cooker with responsibilities and pressures, getting 10,000 fan letters a week, being chased by pedophile stalkers, dealing with agents and lawyers and people stealing your money, and trying to keep your head on your shoulders as a young man trying to do the right thing.
He was chased by pedophile stalkers. That's creepy. The creepier thing is Seth's wearing a Sea for Fever shirt. I mean, every time. It's so easy. I'm sorry, Seth. It's always Seth. Seth is like our boner. Oh, Dr. Wade. You rang? Mikey Show. Hey, I love the Mikey Show. You know what? You guys are awesome. I do, too. I appreciate it every day. Thank you, brother. and slow right continue all the way into downtown in the South 163. I'm McClarence on Rock 105.3. Okay, there's something funny going on here. I-O-Z, San Diego's Rock. Something you may have missed this morning on the mic. We sent Zeph to Ashley's place because Ashley's Puggle Sammy ate nine chocolate chip cookies. You're going to have to break a window, Zeph. All right, let's do this. Did you give him the wrong key? Yeah, I did. Yeah, so he can get arrested. He can check in the patio window. Check in the patio window. Tom Brokaw's going to come out of retirement just to announce that. A peeping racist. The show continues. I'm on the rock.
When he was still funny. I'd like to ask Paul... What's his name? Paul... Simon. Paul Simon. I would like to ask Paul Thomas Anderson. A lot. A lot of questions. I would ask Paul Simon, how long did it take you to write the lyrics to this song? What was that process all about? What does it mean? Why did you write that stuff? If you be my bodyguard, I can be your long-lost... Hey, don't analyze. No, please help me, though. Hey, hey. Sky. Hey. Give me something. What does it mean? It doesn't need to mean anything to be awesome, Mike. A man walks down the street and he says, why am I short of attention? What if I die here? Now that my role model is gone. Gone. It's gruesome. Very depressing. A little bat-faced girl, he said. Yeah, that's Bat Boy's girlfriend. Oh, see, now I get it.
It's 926. Matthew McConaughey's older brother is getting his own reality show about drilling for oil in Texas. Well, all right, all right. Tiger Woods says he's on track to play in the U.S. Open. Zeth also works at Best Buy. That is a fact. Yeah. Said that an Indian guy got a little too much in his personal space last night. Uh-oh. All up in my kitchen. And he had to tell him, finally, please, sir. Like, was he mad? I was like the last time I had to tell him to kind of step away, it was getting to the point where I was about to yell at him. Well, but was he like in your business because he was mad or he just had no concept of personal space? It was hard to tell. I think most of it was talking about butterfly kisses. Every time, dude. Come on. Just help me out, Rob. At least he's talking, Seth. Like that's more than we can ask for.
But I just don't think he really had a concept of personal space because I was just sitting there checking the computer. He was really close, and he smelled horribly. See, to me, it doesn't even matter if the person smells. I have a personal space issue. Yeah, and I'm not stoked on that, but that really didn't help either. And why are you guys doing that? Doing what? Last one to do it. Circles around your eye. Rob's gay. I don't even know what you guys are talking about. Rob, you are so gay. Yeah. We were doing circle over the eye, dude. You were the last one. Didn't see any of your faces. Sorry, bro. I'm sorry. So what do I do now? Sorry, Sarissa. Sorry, Sarissa. Rob's gay. Can't get married now. That was the best. Wedding's off. Gotta marry a dude. I call them space invaders. When you're talking to somebody, you know, and they're just like standing, they just stand a little too, like, and it's usually only about an inch more. An inch back, you're fine. Yeah, thank you. Inch more, and you're like, I like it. What, Eddie, if you're not? Eddie, you don't prefer it. It's like when you can feel their breath when they talk, that's when you know they're too close. Well, I wonder, because it's very clear that the space invader,
Enjoys. Well, I don't want to say enjoys, but they're more comfortable talking to you really close. You don't think they just don't realize they're that close? Well, but they obviously, there's something about them that makes them more comfortable that way because they do it. You know what I'm saying? Totally. Rob, you are so gay today. You're so gay, Rob. We had our thumbs on our forehead, bro. You were the last one. Wait, wait. You guys are putting your thumbs on your forehead and I'm the gay guy? You got a point. I'm gay. That was funny. What are we talking about? Oh, space invaders. Call us if you're a space invader. If you talk really close, maybe somebody has said to you, dude, you're talking really, you know, you're really talking close to me right now. Right. Maybe that's what we should try the next time somebody's doing it. Maybe we just take the really honest approach and we go, excuse me, but you're extraordinarily close to me right now. Well, because that's it.
do people ever call close talkers out? Because what would you say? You did, right, Seth? What did you say? That's the second time working there that I've had two separate cases and I've had to tell people to just back up. Like, I tried to be nice to the guy at first. I was like, hey, could you maybe back up a little bit? That sounds threatening. It sounds... If you say, can you back up? What do you say then? I know, that's what I'm saying. I wonder. Hey, guys, it's Dr. Wayne calling. I was calling about Zeth because I just wanted to be happy to offer my services as a bodyguard for him. Well, I don't think he needs one. And since when were you a bodyguard? Well, I just understand how I can be, you know, with a person talking real close to you like that. And I just don't want Zethi to feel like he's... Zethi? No one calls him that. I don't want him to feel like he's being intruded upon or anything like that. Has anybody ever told you that maybe you talked a little too close?
You know, a couple of times people have told me that. Who? My correctional officer told me one time. Do you have a correctional officer? Oh, did I say correctional officer? You did. I meant my youth group pastor. I don't. You're in a youth group? Well, I was when I was a youth. Okay. This is all very creepy. Anyway, I was thinking maybe I could be his bodyguard slash masseuse because a lot of times people need a bodyguard that does. No, they don't. No one needs that. No such thing. All right. Well, hey, guys, I'm having a Fonz party over at the house this weekend. Really? Where's Leather Jacket? Then I'll be fine with that. Who else wants to show up? I'm in. All right. Then we've got two people. That's only one. I better put Zeth and Sky's name. Stop. Zeth did not say anything. No, I'll come up. I'll come up. And look at this. Sky wins. Zeth's name is pulled out of the hat. Every time. I have the worst luck with this guy. You've never won. Worse luck. Seven o'clock, Zeth, BYOB, all right?
Bring your own pod. Gotta go. I think it's just getting more blatant. That was really, really odd. That was a really odd thing that just happened. Are we getting any calls from people? Here's Jenny. Maybe she's a close talker. Hi, Jenny. Hey, how's it going? Good. Space Invaders at line, when you're in line at Riotator somewhere, you can feel them breathing on your back. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I don't think I've ever had somebody too close to me. When you're in line? Mm-mm. And you have nowhere to go because you can't move closer to the person in front of you because then you're in their space. Yeah, you're trapped. You're trapped. That's when you lay a little crop dust. Eddie. Eddie's talking about silent but deadly. You crop dust them and they're like... Back up, all right. Try that next time, Jenny. Question for you guys. When you're at the grocery store and you have your cart, are you a... Cart in front of you or cart behind you person? I'm a lean on the cart in front of me person. Correct. So I go like this. What do you do? Really? So the cart is in front of him and then you unload it and then you lean on it in front of you. Usually. I mean, if I've already unloaded it, then I'm usually not leaning. But if I'm standing in line, that's how I'll wait. And then I'll unload and then I'll push the cart in front of me and do whatever I got to do to pay. I'm cart behind.
Really? Yeah, I unload. Your cart blanche. I unload. I unload, and then I turn, like, to the side, and the cart's, like, right here. So I've got space between me and the conveyor belt. And the cart's to my left. What do you do, Skye? I'm a switch hitter. So what I do when I'm waiting in line, I'm like, Eddie, I'm leaning on the handle of the cart. I'm like, you know, normal. But then when I get up to the front and it's my turn to unload, I walk around the side of it, go in front of the cart, and unload that way. Got it. And then you stay there. Well, and then you push it through so the bad boy can put it in. Rob sits in the seat. Yes, Rob's in the seat the whole time. It's a big place. She's got to take those little clean wipes and clean his hands so he doesn't touch it. Get all the germs all over the place. That's a good point. You know what I'm saying? Text number here is 35253. Let me tell you something about Cricket. Cricket is amazing because you have to picture a company that said to themselves, we want to see all the different things that all the other companies were doing that customers weren't happy with. And then we just want to turn that frown upside down. I hate being in the contract, Mike. I do too. I hate... paying for stupid things like text messaging, picture messaging, things like that. You're telling me Cricket doesn't make me have all those things? No contracts. Really? I hate when I get my cell phone bill every month and it's like three times what I was expecting it to be. That's terrible. And it happens all the time.
And you get real frustrated and you go, ah. And then you have to take time out of your day, which is already busy. And you've got to call and try to figure it out. It's cricket. You don't pay for text messaging. You're in a plan. You're guaranteed that price. You know what you're going to get. Okay, this is what we want to tell you. Sky is going to give you their web address. It's mycricket.com slash San Diego. Dear Tom, I took my girlfriend Heather to Shane Company to look at engagement rings. I was very nervous. It's such a huge investment. But your saleswoman calmed me down and found the perfect ring style Heather wanted. I whispered to the saleswoman my price range for the diamond, and she showed us several. Heather picked one out, and your saleswoman placed the diamond into the setting, and Heather slipped it on. She was absolutely glowing. Seeing her joy, my eyes got misty, and even your saleswoman became teary-eyed. It was a moment Heather and I will never forget, and your saleswoman is the sole reason I made the purchase at Shane Company that day. Sincerely, Steve Shantz. Farther south, though, you will find a backup approaching La Jolla Parkway, the 52 here. That stays slow into Mission Bay. You've got Caltrans crews once again working the left lanes here. And he doesn't tell you what you want to hear. No. He gives you the real deal. Here is my advice. One, learn how to cook. Stop sending out food that will give me Mexican water diarrhea for a week. That was a little... You know what that is, right, guys? That's bad. We all learned. Numero dos. Quit crying like Zeth after an emotional episode of One Tree Hill. Okay? Buck up. Rock 105.3. I'm learning it deep. That's my thing right now with the guitar. Welcome back to Mikey's show at 941. Well, this is not good. The space station's only toilet for making number ones is out of order. Sounds like Clear Channel. With Travis Henry missing some workouts, the Broncos went out and signed former Buccaneer running back Michael Pittman. I was about to get to the court, Jessica Simpson singing country. Sing country. No. Ash, can you sing country? No. Yeah, you just need to put it in a request, and then I'll process it. Who do you like? Who do you like? Rascal Fats. I love Rascal. She hasn't.
have much new stuff out, but I love Rascal Flatts. I love Brixton Dunn. I love Kenny Chesney. I love Toby. Kenny Chesney. Toby. Toby McGuire. No, wait. Toby. Toby McGuire. Toby Keith. Yes. Apologize. Toby Keith. I love Toby McGuire. I love... I love Carrie Underwood. Have you heard her new song? Love that. Love it. Sing it. Go it. Do it. I don't know the words. Go it. Go it. It's something like... Last night I went to... That's a jam. That's not something like that. I need to hear it. I don't. All right, here's Jessica Simpson's new country song. It's called Come On Over. Cut 15. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. He's had to be a better country singer than a pop singer. Leave your ice cubes in your drink. Come on over. Leave your coat behind the door. Now listen, I will say this. It's not my thing. I'm not into it. If I was a record guy and I walked into a club and I heard that, I would sign her. I would say, oh, this girl can sing and she sounds like a country star. I love country music lyrics. The leave your ice cubes in your drink.
Because most people remove the ice cubes from their drink before they leave the house. Thank you. Thank you. And she's instructing you, don't do that. No, just leave them in there, man. Don't do what you usually do and take the ice cubes out. No, leave them in. Leave them in the drink. You didn't have a problem with that opening note. A little shocking. A munchkin, like, what was that? She'd be a little off guard. Well, I thought she sounded like a good singer there. Yeah, not bad. And she's real pretty. That is true. Very pretty. She's real pretty to, you know, some people. No. She's pretty. It's all, you know, beauty's not a beholder. That's all I'm saying. Beauty's only skin deep. Beauty's only skin deep. Some people like Jessica Simpson. Some people are like, hey, you don't know my thing. She's gorgeous. Are you crazy? What is there not to like? With Jessica Simpson? Yes. For me personally? Yes. Mouth is too big. Seriously. That's my deal. Honestly, that's not my particular chemistry. That's not my thing. She's got reins in a bit. Okay, that's not what I said. I didn't say that. You know what I'm saying? She's got a smile is too prominent. She's got a smile.
Throw her a salt lick. All right. They're taking it too far. Eddie, you're a Jessica Simpson fan, right? She's hot, man. I've never seen below. Put some peanut butter on her teeth. Make her talk. Okay. See what I'm saying? I'm not saying all that. I'm not saying all that. What are you saying all that? Mike. You're blaming me. He said it. Cheese guy. Cheese guy. Cheese guy. It's just easy to buy for. Just get some sugar cubes. All right. Smile. Smile. I didn't say it. Hey. Sean. Okay. Let's take that California driver's test. Let's do it. And listeners, play along with us. Yeah. It was just in the news the other day. that one in six U.S. drivers wouldn't be able to pass a written driving test if they took it today. Well, the questions are stupid anyway. I agree with you, Ashley. One in six wouldn't be able to pass? Yeah, so that's... It's got to be higher than that. So that's 33 million of the people currently out there on the road would not be able to pass the written driving test today. That doesn't seem like that big a deal to me, one in six. Like, if you said, you know, half, three out of six, I'd be like, uh-oh.
Because I almost don't expect people to be able to. It seems like the questions are like, we don't really think about it. We know what to do, but we don't know what to do. Let's try. Let's see how we do. Do I have to write this down? Yeah, write them down. We're going to do 10 questions. We all write our answers. Yeah, and as you're listening, answer along. As you're listening in your car, then be careful. Especially if you don't know the answer. So, Seth, there's 10 questions, right? 10 questions. They're all multiple choice, and they all have three answers. So it's going to be A, B, and C. Okay, so we just write it down. He'll tell us at the end. We'll tell the listeners what we put. Right. Question number one. Are you playing, Ash? Yeah. Okay, cool. All right. You may drive off the paved roadway to pass another vehicle when... You may drive off the paved roadway to pass another vehicle when... If the shoulder is wide enough to accommodate your vehicle. B, if the vehicle ahead of you is turning left. Or C, under no circumstances. Got it. Got it. Done. Question two. You are approaching a railroad crossing with no warning devices and are unable to see 400 feet down the tracks in one direction. The speed limit is A, 15, B, 20, or C, 25. Got it. Guessing. I'm out.
All right. Is everybody good? Yeah. All right. Three. When parking your vehicle parallel to the curb on a level street, A, your front wheels must be turned towards the street, B, your wheels must be within 18 inches of the curb, or C, one of your rear wheels must touch the curb. Got it. Got it. Got it. Easy. All right. I'm just checking out what Eddie's got. You don't want to see Mike. Now you're covering them up? Yeah. All right. My wife, by the way, does that in church. She's taking notes, and I'll look over, and she's, like, kind of irritated. Like, hey, take your own notes. I'm like, whoa. Yeah, and so I'll have to reach over and take the thing out of her hand, and she's like. Go ahead. Okay, number four. When you're merging onto the freeway, you should be driving, A, at or near the same speed as the traffic on the freeway. Yeah, right.
Did I say that out loud? Hey, keep it to yourself, buddy. B, 5 to 10 miles per hour slower than the traffic on the freeway, or C, the posted speed limit for traffic on the freeway. I don't know. Say it again. Say A and B and C again. Just those. Wait, no, I need the question again. Okay, when you are merging onto the freeway, you should be driving, and it's A, at or near the same speed as the traffic on the freeway, B, 5 to 10 miles per hour slower than the traffic on the freeway. Or C, the posted speed limit for traffic on the freeway. Got it. Take my license. What was B again? I need to know what it was again. It's 5 to 10 slower than the traffic. Okay.
Which is different from the same or near the speed limit that the traffic's going, which was A. Which is also different from... Do you see how confusing that can be? Which is also different from the posted speed limit on the freeway. How confusing is that? Yet a third choice. I know, right? Yeah, they're all different. What is up with that? Freaking brain sprain. Sean! Okay, Sean, we get it. You're smarter than us. Question five. When driving in fog, you should use your A, fog lights only, B, high beams, or C, low beams. Wait, where's fog horn? Yeah, where's fog horn? Can you read those again? I'm very confused. A is fog lights. Can you stop cheating, Sky? Fog lights only. You're a cheater. B is your high beams. C is your low beams. No, duh. Question six. Your answer is wrong. Your answer is wrong. A painted white curb means A, loading zone for freight or passengers. B, loading zone for passengers or mail only. Rob. C, loading zone for freight only.
What was A? A is freight or passengers. B is passengers or mail. And C is freight only. Got it. But they're different. Got it. All right. What if you have a female? Question seven. A school bus I'm heading you in your lane. I already got this one wrong. I don't even know. Hold on. All right. A school bus ahead of you in your lane is stopped with red lights flashing. You should, A, floor it. Mike. No? Is that wrong? That's what I do. Put it in reverse. You're throwing me off with your jokes, Mike. All right. A is stop, then proceed when you think all the children have exited the bus. B is slow to 25 miles per hour and pass cautiously. Or C, stop as long as the red lights are flashing.
Oh, duh. Don't yell, Mike. Everybody got it? Got it. This guy's cheating. And because it's covered up, I can't cheat. I wanted to. You keep looking over here. I like it. You're getting IMs, too. Yeah. All right, number eight. You know Mark's IM and Ash. Yeah, totally. Look at her. Sorry, just stretching. Anyway. Her pants aren't even sweating. I know it. Oh, wait a minute. You're wrong about that, Sean. You're obviously not here, Sean. Obviously. Does anybody have any sawdust? What would that do? Old newspapers. Barely anything. Let's focus. We're taking a step. What's number eight? Hay bales. What are you doing? Labrador. Salt truck. All right. California's basic speed law says, A, you should never drive faster than the posted speed limits. B, you should never drive faster than is safe for current conditions. Or C, the maximum speed limit in California is 70 miles per hour on certain freeways. One more time, bro.
Read it quickly. California's basic speed law says, A, you should never drive faster than the posted speed limits. B, you should never drive faster than is safe for current conditions. Or C, the maximum speed limit in California is 70 on certain freeways. Question nine. All right. You just sold your vehicle. You must notify the DMV within how many days? A5, B10, C15. I got to think about that one. Tough one. You sold your car. You have to tell the DMV within 5, 10, or 15 days. Decide. Bob, all you do is steal cars. Question 10. Last question. To avoid last-minute moves, you should be looking down the road to where your vehicle will be in about A, 5 to 10 seconds, B, 10 to 15 seconds, or C, 15 to 20 seconds. One more time.
To avoid last-minute moves, you should be looking down the road to where your vehicle will be in about A, 5 to 10 seconds, B, 10 to 15, or C, 15 to 20 seconds. I just answered B for everything. All right. Oh, this is brutal. Okay. Trick in the book. All right, here we go. Let's review our answers. First question. Read the question again. All right. You may drive off the paved roadway to pass another vehicle. And then the options. Okay. And the options were? A is if the shoulder is wide enough to accommodate the vehicle. B, if the vehicle ahead of you is turning left. Or C, under no circumstances. What's a P1? A P1 is someone that turns down their radio, they get to the point, they don't cuss, and they listen to The Mikey Show exclusively. That is correct. The P1 Army. The Mikey Show. And then when they're done, we'll have Ashley and Skye get in the same outfits, and they'll try it. Oh. That is not a fact. That is opposite of the truth. It'll be absolutely fantastic. Okay, Seth is going to give us our results of how we did on the driving test. All right, Seth, what do you got? Who do you want first? I want, well, let's start with me. All right, Mike, you scored a 5 out of 10. Oh, you didn't. Oh, we finished. Oh, wait. Did I get it? I can't hand it over. You're done. What did I get wrong? You missed questions three, four, five, and six. Three, four, five, all in a row. That was a tough run. Three, four, five, and six. Wow. Ouchers. Okay, go to Eddie next. Eddie, all right. Sir Ched. Ched. Eddie scored a six out of ten. You can't get seven to pass. Yeah, how many do you need to pass? Are you sure?
Gotta get six out of ten to pass. I'm so mad. Congrats, Ed. Thanks, man. I can keep driving. Eddie gets to keep driving. I can drive Mike around. Yeah. Hey, dude, can you pick me up a four? Yeah, no problem. What did Sky do? Sky scored a four out of ten. I can't wait. She's dangerous on the road. Yeah. Can't all be winners, guys. You are dangerous on the road. Four out of ten. Four out of ten. How could you get only four? She missed one out of the first five and then bombed the last five questions. Six through ten. What about Sean? Sean scored an eight out of ten. What about Ashley? Four out of ten. You're a danger on the road. Four out of ten.
You're a menace to society. It happens to the best of us. You're a menace to society. It's clear women are bad drivers. I got 100% when I took it when I was 16. The women on the show are the worst drivers. They are. What about Rob? Rob scored a 7 out of 10. There you go. Yes. Got to take women off the road, I think, is what we've all learned here today. Hey, I got five. You didn't pass. Women and Metro men. Women and Metro's off the road. Oh, man. We suck. Look at that. We're not that good at driving. No. Let's see. Wow. I'm disappointed. Let's see. You guys want to hear the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air if it's in Italy and what their theme song for that show sounds like in Italy? Yes, please. Cut 38. Yes. I want it as a ringtone. Well said.
No way! That's fantastic. That is fantastic. That's the longest theme I've ever heard. It's still going. Do they have to, like, listen to this every time the show starts? Okay, already! Thank you. Thank you. Half the show is the open. Whoa. That was incredible. Still good. I figured you would want to hear that. You heard that Fox News contributor Liz Trotta say that she thinks that both Osama and Obama should be killed. Yeah. She had to apologize. Apologize? She had to apologize for that. Cut 29.
All right, Liz. Some people are criticizing you also for some comments you made over the weekend here on Fox News. What happened? I am so sorry about what happened yesterday and that lame, attempted humor. I really just fell all over myself in making it appear that I wished Barack Obama harm or any other candidate for that matter. I sincerely regret it and apologize to anybody I've offended. And so... It's a very colorful political season, and many of us are making mistakes and saying things that we wish that we hadn't said. Clarification noted. Wow. You want to hear what she originally said? Yeah. Cut 30. And now we have what some are reading as a suggestion that somebody knock off Osama, Obama. Well, both, which we could. Talk about how you really feel. Oh. Yeah, I guess that's not good to say. You think that you should knock them off. Yeah. Mikey Show. Hey, Miguel. You got to tell us what the answers are to the driving test. You told us all to play along and we get no answers. You know, we were talking about it take too long. It's going to take 15 minutes. We'll put it on the website. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's good. Just read them down the line. Just read them down the line. Well. I've got to know now. I'm driving. I can't go online. Let me see it. Let me see it. Let me see it. Let me look at it. There's the first five. Let me look at it.
You can just read my test, Mike. Shut up, Sean. You show off. You may drive off the paved roadway to pass another vehicle if the shoulder is wide enough to accommodate your vehicle. If the vehicle ahead of you is turning left or under no circumstances, the answer, under no circumstances. I'm just going to give you the answer. I got that right. Number two, you are approaching a railroad crossing with no warning devices and are unable to see 400 feet down the tracks in one direction. The speed limit is 15 miles per hour. I got that right. What letter was that? I did too. That was A. When parking your vehicle parallel to the curb on a level street, the answer is your wheels must be within 18 inches of the curb. I got that wrong. I put your wheels need to be turned toward the street, which is... Oh, wait. I meant the curb. The street. Either way, you're wrong. Well, if I would have thought, I was thinking they were talking about the curb. Only on a hill, Mike. They said if you're on a level. So stupid. Number four, when you are merging onto the freeway, you should be driving at or near the same speed as the traffic on the freeway. How is that different from five to ten miles less? I swear. How is it different? It's less. Because it's less. Less means not as much as. Practically the same freaking thing. What a concept. Close.
The next one was, when driving in fog, you should use your... What should you use? Your fog lights only, your high beams, or your low beams? Your regular headlights. Sky, you're right. It's your low beams. I put low beams. I put high beams. Eddie put high beams. How would you know? Because that was the one I saw. That was the one I saw, and I told you you were wrong, and you said, oh no, you just went. Most of you missed that, actually. Except for me. Except for me. A white painted curb means loading zone for passengers or mail. What? I thought that was so dumb. I was like, that can't be right. I thought I was free. Yeah, me too. A school bus ahead of you in your lane is stopped with red flashing lights. You should what? Well, we all, I'm sure, got this right. Yeah. Stop as long as the red lights are flashing. Duh. I got that wrong. You got that wrong? Yeah. What did you put? What did you say? And how many kids have you killed? Yeah. Proceed with caution when you think it's okay. Oh my goodness, Ash. Stop first and then proceed with caution once you see the kids are passed. Don't do that. Dangerous. Can you read the letters with it? Yeah, that would have been C would have been the correct answer. Next question. California's Basic Law says... Oh, that's so toughy. You should never drive faster than is safe for current conditions. Wow, I didn't think that. I thought it would... That's what, B?
That's B. I thought the answer would be you shouldn't drive faster than the speed limit. Nope. It's different conditions. I didn't think about that. Yeah, that's a faulty one. Number nine. You just sold your vehicle. You have to notify the DMV within five days. Yep. Wow. I put 15. I thought two weeks. So did I. I put 10. Nope. I thought they'd give you a break. 10. To avoid last minute moves, you should be looking down the road to where your vehicle will be and about. I got this one right. 10 to 15 seconds. What'd you guys put? I think I had C. I put 15 to 20. Wait a minute. Zeth, you have that I put 5 to 10. Yeah, that's how many you got right. 5 of 10. Oh, I see. I thought it was 5 to 10 seconds. I was like, oh, maybe I got 6 right. Maybe I did pass after all. Let that hope go, Mike. Give me that license, buddy. Fine. Turn it in.
I want to recheck mine. I think I got seven right. Yeah, me too. I didn't. I didn't. Clown. Let's see. Woody Harrelson says he wants to move to a remote island and survive off the land for 40 days. Me too. You do not. I do. Eddie. Eddie, please. Please, bro. Why? I'll tell you why. Because. You're not sleeping outdoors at night. There's no PS3 out there. I don't care. With no blankets. I tell you guys all the time, I always think about being the last man on earth. I think about always surviving and stuff like that. It's comfy. Got TV. I could do it. I could do it. I watch Man vs. Wild. I know how to make a shelter. I could survive. I know where water is. You don't want to. I'll do it. You would do it. If you had to. It would not be great. It would not be great, dude. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be. It would not be.
It was like still alive. Oh, no, no. What Rob ate was like cooked or something. It was fine. No, the one Rob ate wasn't cooked. Dude, it was not like this. It was not like this, dude. In Man vs. Wild, when he cuts it open, it's like he opened a hamster up or something. You see guts come out of it. And then it like shrunk and he couldn't bite it. It was too chewy to bite and rubbery. And he was like going... And he was pulling membrane out with his fingers. No, no, no, no. Oh, it was so awful. But you know what looked good? When he put the stingray over the fire and he was eating crab. Yeah. That looked decent. He said the stingray wasn't good either, though. Oh, really? Yeah, he said it was chewy and tasted really like the sea. You know what that means. It's disgusting. The ocean tastes just not bad. Sean. Just saying. That's what you eat. Like a seaweed taste? It's coming from the guy who likes baby food and salt in his milk. That's true, though. That's true. Creep. Whatevs to him. Creep? I take it back. A little harsh. Well, I know how you tip. Nothing, really. I just felt it like it needed to be. It was a displaced comment is what he said. But I think we all agree now. I think so. Velvet Revolver plans to announce a new singer soon. And they don't want to do rock star Velvet Revolver.
Yeah, Mark Burnett asked them to do Rockstar Velvet Revolver to find their new singer, and they said, no, thank you, it's not right for us. It's really not right for anybody, it's just some people do it. Thank you. No way, Jose! And Super Tramp Group. Speaking of supergroup, there's a new supergroup that's just formed. Sky, tell us the members of this new supergroup. Well, the band is... tentatively titled Chicken Foot. Come on. It could change, but as of now, it's Chicken Foot. And it features the drummer from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chad Smith. Who looks like Will Ferrell. Are you guys still doing that? You're so gay, Rob. Rob's the last guy to put the finger up to his eye. So it features Chad Smith as the drummer. He's from the Chili Peppers. Sammy Hagar will be the front man. Michael Anthony will be the bassist. And then on guitar, Joe Satriani. Think about it. I don't like it. I don't like you. I don't like this guy. It seems like it's too mixed up. Well, Satriani's too like... Too awesome. Too awesome.
Satriani's a great solo, but... Maybe he's just never had a chance, Mike. Thank you. So they say... I'm Eddie. I saw myself before I said it. I know, but I just say, no, I'm Eddie. That's Mike. Chili Pepper drummers? Cool. Michael Anthony? Cool. Sammy Hagar? Cool. Satriani? It's like St. Incavet. Exactly. Yeah. Did you hear that? Well, like when Steve Vai joined Whitesnaked. It was great. Don't shoot daggers at me, Sky. I honestly don't know who that is. I'll talk to you about it later. Okay. So they're going to enter the studio and start recording their debut album this summer. Chicken foot. Chicken foot. Me and Scott will go. They're going to enter Sandman. How about this one? Rob Lowe dropped all those charges against his chef. Yes, he had lawsuits against the chef, against two nannies. And basically the deal, because the chef was charged with stealing mail, prescription drugs, having sex in their bedroom, and overcharging them for food. And basically the deal is he is going to drop the charges and the lawsuit. The lawsuit, I should say. He's going to drop the lawsuit against his chef in exchange for the chef giving him information against the two nannies for his other lawsuit. Ooh.
It's all a mess. It sounds like it's really a fun time over at the low house. Nigel Lithgow doesn't want Paula doing Dancing with the Stars. Paula Abdul said that she would be honored and she'd think it would be great to do Dancing with the Stars. Well, American Idol producer Niall Lithgow was asked about it. Nigel, I'm sorry. Nigel was asked about it, and he said he would have to be a fool to let her participate in another network's reality show. You'd have to be mad. And it's not that Paula wouldn't be good at it. She'd be great, but it's not fair to American Idol. It's not fair to American. She's a dancer, too. It's not fair at all. Well, Christy Yamaguchi was tonight. She was not a dancer. She's an ice dancer, bro. She's not an ice dancer. We've had this discussion many times. Ice dancer? She does dance routines on skates. She does dance routines on skates. Oh, I wonder why she won.
That's not fair, right, Skye? Thank you, Mike. How's that the same dance? She's not the same as dancing on the ground. Skye, it's almost the same thing. I love her. I think she was awesome. Skye, but why are you racist against Asians? I'm not. What's up with that? Why do you hate them? How come you're racist against Asian people? It just wasn't fair, guys. Drew won a couple years back, and he was a dancer in 98 Degrees. Yeah, and he was Asian. What about Joey Fatone? No, dude, his last name is Fatone. It's Fatone. They don't pronounce it like that. It's Italian. But I can see him. Rising gas prices have sparked an increase in gas theft. Sorry, Rob. Let me tell you something. This is the worst. What, Eddie? Let me tell you something. My gas cap was basically off when I went to put in gas the other day. Yeah. And I triple check it every time I put gas in to make sure that it's tight because I don't ever want any shenanigans. Right. So I think somebody was screwing my gas cap.
Well, you're lucky if what they're doing is siphoning your gas. Because basically what is going on right now and what's rampant is them going to bigger cars like trucks and SUVs, putting a bucket. underneath your gas tank, puncturing your gas tank, and then having the gas drain out. Thanks for the info, Sky. So then you have to go and basically get your whole gas tank, your whole... Bad karma. Whatever it's called. It's like Mad Max, man. What happened to the old days? Bad karma. That is messed up. Remember that if you're doing that. Let's go to Gassy Claws and find out what is happening on the street. Ladies and gentlemen, let's go now live to Gassy Claws. And Gassy... What is happening out there in the field? Go ahead, take it away, old McTooty Tutor. McToot pipe. You're on. You are on the air. Fartsy McFart. Let's go now to the fart fairy. I don't know what's happening. Maybe our connection is bad. Pedal claws. Pedal claws, are you there?
Her name is Skye. Oh. Toot Kringle, can you hear us? Please help us. She won't respond to any of this at all. And Ashley, I believe I just told them what's going on. I mean, didn't I just explain the story about how people are feeling? Yeah. Okay. Toots McGee, take it away. They're idiots, guys. Take it away. That is an accurate fact. Toots McGee. Silent but screechy, please. I guess we can't, I guess our connection's not working. There's a delay. Maybe, yeah, maybe it takes a while to catch it on the delay. We'll talk in a minute. Yeah, it'll be great. Mikey Show. Yeah, this is P1 Joe Daddy. What's up, Joe Daddy? Not much, man, not much. I'm just seeing if they got a hold of St. Stank yet. I don't know. St. Stank, you there. What's up? We must have a bad connection. St. Stank, come in. Come in, please.
All right, you guys. Thank you. Have your fun. For the first time, a new poll shows that a majority of voters support same-sex marriage. This is a first for California. It's a poll? Yeah. Now, they did the poll at a gay club, which is weird. No, stop it. That is not true. How do we know where they did the poll? Yeah, exactly. Why don't they put it to a vote? We did that, and that was 60%. Yeah. Times have changed, brah. Well, let's do some. I'll vote yes. That's what they did, and that's what we're talking about right now. No, I'm just kidding. We can't do polls. We've got to do votes. Polls are just when you're talking to people at Walmart. What do you think? What do you think? You know what I mean? Well, for it to be a scientific poll, they need to, you know. It's like, what are you doing at Walmart? Hey, by the way, what do you think of this? That's not how they do it. It's a poll. It's a poll. And for it to be scientific, they have to have, you know, an even spread of different genders, races, ages. Sky, palm my finger.
So 51% of registered voters, according to the poll, believe in allowing same-sex couples to marry. 42% are opposed, and 7% have no opinion. So there you go. Tiger Woods? Yes. Playing at the U.S. Open. Well, he's on track, Mike. That doesn't mean he's playing. He says he wants to, though, right? He's on track. He had the knee surgery. Rehab's going good. Looks like he's going to play. A robbery suspect was shot and killed by store owners in La Mesa yesterday, proving that crime don't pay. Yep. Was it at Chipotle? No.
It was about 1 o'clock yesterday. At the Chipotle. Wow, I know everything goes on there. Yeah, everything bad happens at the Chipotle. That is not true. Just a little hepatitis. A little? Well, just a couple. Yeah, it wasn't a little hepatitis. Just a couple dozen. It was a lot of hepatitis. But anyways, yesterday at the Travel Wizard on University Avenue. A little hepatitis in my life. A little hepatitis. Sorry. My Hank Bauer imitation. Remember when he's... Dude. You guys remember when Hank Bauer was going... No, I don't. A little bit of LT in my world. You... Stop it. Don't you remember? No. You're being a crazy person right now. Yeah, jeez. Can we get through this? Man. No idea. Without your randomness. No? I don't remember the clip. You're so random. Sorry. It's okay. I mean, I'm just saying. Go ahead, Skye. What happened? So yesterday, about 1 o'clock, the Travel Wizard on University Avenue, some dude went in and robbed the store and shot the owners of the store, a man and a woman, and they returned fire and shot that guy. And as he, according to the news last night, as he was running away from the store, he expired.
Expired? What is he, milk? Way to put it, I guess. So, yeah, he was found dead about 50 feet from the door to the entryway to the store. That ain't good. Don't do that, man. Don't rip stuff off because you never know. People in there could say, I'm not having any of that. Not having it, Mike. Let's see. I think we're good. You're good. Ashley, finally. Oh, Sean, are you still there? Ashley finally watched Grey's Anatomy's finale. Who cares? Logged all about it if you want my thoughts. Oh, okay. Mikeyshow.com. That's good. It was so good, Mike. No, stop. It was really good. I think we're good. Microsoft has a new Windows touchscreen system. All I picture is fingerprints all over stuff. Yeah, they debuted it yesterday at the Wall Street Journal All Things Digital conference in Carlsbad.
And, yeah. What is it? Like, what is it? It's their Windows 7 operating system that allows touchscreen applications where you can, you know, touch and enlarge photos and edit things and move maps around. Minority Report, dude. Yeah, man. That's awesome. Remember? Yeah. Remember they did that in Minority Report. Yeah, you got to throw things around sometimes. 5701053. Tomorrow morning, we're going to be broadcasting from Carlsbad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Field trip. Come on. Anybody's welcome. Yeah, yeah. Come out there and join us. Please. Yeah, Eddie and B-Rob are going to sumo wrestle at LA Boxing. Bring it. It's going to be hilarious. It's going to be hysterical. It's going to be genius. So come out and watch. It's going to be fun. 570-1053. Beginning and end of every show, we do an open phone segment. And you can call in about anything you want. It's up to you. Let's take some phone calls. Mikey Show, hello. How you doing today? What's up, dude? This is P1AO. What's up, Bale? Yo, I got a question for you. How do I become a P1 Hall of Famer? Damn. Damn, shoot. Hold up, wait a minute. Hold up, wait a minute. P1 Hall of Famer is a person who is a very regular, good contributor. Oh, yeah. I think, you know, I kind of...
put this on the P1 site. You know, they asked me that question. I said, listen, you have to be a regular contributor. You have to be a good contributor. You have to go up kind of above and beyond what a normal P1 would do to finally even get considered in the Hall of Fame status. Right. You have to be a, like, you're not going to be in the P1 Hall of Fame your first year listening. That's just not going to happen. Hall of Famers have been listening to The Mikey Show for a long time. I mean, we want you to listen. If you're a new listener, we love you. We want you. You show up to our events. You support our sponsors. You do all those things. And then after a while that you've been with The Mikey Show, you could become a Hall of Famer. Some examples of Hall of Famers are P1 Spaceboy. P1 Quimby. P1 Quimby. Scooby. P1 Danny. These are inert. These are Hall of Famers. Not paparazzi. Most definitely not paparazzi. I think paparazzi is a Hall of Famer. No, I will fight his induction. Every year he's turned down. He doesn't get enough votes. He's got my vote every year, but it's not just my vote. He broke the rules, Mike. There's seven people on the Mikey show.
You know, I vote yeah every year, but he needs more votes than that. Who did you say? Who was the person that was just offered? T-Rex. Oh, absolutely. T-Rex, a Hall of Famer. Love and beyond. Shows up in a panda suit. Come on. That's right. Are you kidding me? Can't beat that. What other P1s are females? Hall of Famers. Turtle? Well, I was going to say turtle, but turtles, I guess you could still be. Penguin is definitely... Hold on. Yeah. You can't just throw Nilly, Nilly, Nilly. She shows up to all of our events. Nilly, Nilly. You're just going Nilly, Nilly. You can't just say she's in. You can't say she's just in. You don't just decide. You don't just decide. She isn't. You can say the name and we can discuss it. Yeah, yeah. Who the hell do you think you are? I think you think you are. You're throwing the brownies. Let's take a vote right now about Penguin. Let's take a vote. I don't know. Raise your hand if you want to vote yes for Penguin. Yes, absolutely. Dude, she shows up at every event. emails us, calls in. Not yet. We need Sean's vote. Not yet. Right now, her votes are with Sky, Austin Rob, and Ashley. Me, Zeth, and Eddie. Not yet. Why do you vote no? Zeth's not even awake, so that's it now. She's on the couch. She's on the couch. She's like right there. Maybe a couple other things. P1 Knuckles. Who's that?
Hey, what's going on, Mikey? What's going on, dude? How are you doing? Good. Hey, I got a question for Eddie, man. What do you know about the rumor? I mean, it is just a rumor, but about Jason Taylor coming to the Chargers, possibly. You made that rumor up right now. So, Eddie, what do you think of the rumor that Knuckles just made up? I don't know where he would play. Oh, okay. Well, we run a 3-4. Well, we won a 3-4, and so he can't play outside linebacker with Sean Merriman and Sean Phillips already on the outside. And he's too light to play defensive end in the 3-4, so I don't think he would fit with the Chargers. Cool. That's why I called. Give your opinion, brother. Thank you, man. My pleasure. P1G, man. Yeah, it's Mikey. What's up? What's going on, man? Not too much. Well, just called to see. I know you guys are a bunch of fans of the cage fighting, and one of the American Gladiators fights in the Elite XC. That's right, baby. Crush. Crush, yeah. She'll be on on Saturday night at 9 o'clock on CBS. I love Gina Carano. Yeah, man. She's so hot. Yeah. Yeah. Say that three times would mean it. Eddie, P1. She's so hot. She's really hot. There it is. Put it on the board. Thank you, G-Man. Eddie, what about these names?
We can't do this now. This is not fair. We're going to get so many emails. P1 Buckley. Absolutely. Why are you just asking Eddie? I want to see what his thoughts are. I ask his thoughts and everybody chimes in. It's alright. It needs to go to a vote. Eddie? I would vote yes on Buckley. I would vote yes on Buckley. Thank you. Did anybody not vote for Buckley? Of course not. Come on. Yeah, I think he's a genius. What do they call it, Eddie? A unanimous vote. All ballot Hall of Famer. Is that what they call him? Well, he's the first ballot. First ballot. Yeah. What? Oh, I mean, this person had a great. P1 career started out real strong, P1 career, but then it's like, where has he been? Injuries. Oh, I know what you're going to say. I know who you're going to say. P1 Joe E. Tata. I knew it. Was once, I mean, a first ballot Hall of Fame. Yeah, one of the greats. He came in here for the P1 Hall of Fame Challenge, stunk up the joint, and has gone into hiding exile since. And I called him out on the P1 site, and I said,
Dude, you need to start showing up again, and I still haven't heard from him. He emails me every once in a blue moon, but I don't know what happened. I don't know the deal. At this point in his career, I would say no. P1 Sanjaya. Yeah, I would vote for him, yes. Why are we voting for P1 Sanjaya? Just because he's called in a bunch of times? He's become a character. Shows up for events. Shows up to the events. He brought the freaking trailer. He's created a character. I mean, that's very rare. Senjai's a Hall of Famer. He gets the jacket. Yep. By the way, yeah, by the way. No, you don't understand. I want a jacket. No, no, no. You don't understand. We're thinking about doing an induction ceremony. It's in the works. Okay. An induction ceremony's in the works. And I'm talking like jackets? Like the Hall of Fame. In the Hall of Fame. In the Hall of Fame, when you get inducted, you get the jacket. This is going to be crazy. It would be such an exclusive club. We're only going to do it once a year. One time. I don't know how the normal Hall of Fame works, but is there a number limit of how many people get let in every year? And people can get knocked out? Maybe there would be...
Five people that would be on the ballot, three people get inducted. Yeah, and there's going to be an induction ceremony. They'll be inducted by us. They'll have to give speeches. I mean, this is a big deal. Fantastic. I love that. Wow. P1 Hall of Fame is a big deal. It's going to be gigantic. P1 Talon, I think, is a no-brainer. Mikey Show, hello. Mike. What's up? It's P1300, man. What's going on? What's up, dude? Hey, I'm just wondering, what's the address to the place you're going to be at tomorrow? Address is 2622 El Camino Real, Carlsbad. All right, good deal. I'll see you there. Thank you. P1300. He's getting there. He's good. He's close. On the cusp. Good one. Mikey Show. Not always. What's the name P1 Instigator? Gone. Really? Where's he been? Yeah, where's he been? Where's he been? MIA. Mikey Show. Yeah, it's P1 A-Town. What's up, A-Town? Nothing much, man. I was just giving you guys a call.
