Mikey and the crew turned everyday mishaps into extended bits, especially Mikey breaking his Lars and the Real Girl promise, Sean gaming the thermostat, and the group's fierce pizza-versus-burrito argument. Eddie defended Brandon Vera after a disputed UFC stoppage, while Ashley's Alaska answer became the standout failure of the Dumb Chick Challenge. Buzz Aldrin gave the show's most substantial interview, recalling Apollo 11, communion on the moon and why permanent settlement on Mars matters. Callers supplied the wildest stories, from Charlotte's rescued hummingbird to objects working their way out of human bodies, and Zeth ended with a checkpoint story that cost him his suspended license.
What happened, in order
Brandon Vera's disputed stoppage
Eddie said Brandon Vera was furious after a referee stopped his UFC fight with only seconds left even though Vera was conscious, defending himself and insisting he was fine.
The movie promise broken again
Mikey admitted that chores, church, Rebecca's car and a potluck displaced his promised viewing of Lars and the Real Girl, even though he found time for Man vs. Wild.
Bear eats the yak eye
The crew recoiled while Mikey described Bear Grylls crossing freezing Siberian water naked and biting into a raw yak eyeball that burst in his mouth.
The thermostat hack
Sean revealed that he used a portable heater on the locked thermostat to trigger the air conditioning, only to arrive and find both the heater and another coffee cup missing.
Pizza versus burritos
Mikey forced the crew to choose between giving up pizza or burritos forever, prompting arguments about delivery methods, Mexican identity, pizza parties and calzones as a loophole.
Ash maps Alaska to Australia
In the Dumb Chick Challenge, Ashley answered Australia or Asia when asked which country lies closest to western Alaska, while Boston Rob later won by identifying the hummingbird's rapid heartbeat.
Robin the hummingbird
Caller Charlotte recalled nursing an injured hummingbird named Robin back to flight, only for her dog to kill the bird after Charlotte accidentally left her bedroom door open.
Buzz Aldrin remembers the moon
Buzz Aldrin described Apollo 11's low-fuel landing, the moon's black sky and talcum-fine dust, his private communion and his belief that Mars should become a permanent human settlement.
Spike Lee versus Clint Eastwood
The hosts unpacked Spike Lee's complaint about absent Black soldiers in Clint Eastwood's Iwo Jima films and argued over Eastwood's response that Lee should stop criticizing a story focused on the flag raisers.
Things stuck inside people
Mikey's story about Chris pulling a one-inch palm thorn through the top of his toe launched increasingly grisly calls about buried wood, glass, coral, buckshot and even old rigatoni emerging from bodies.
Naked in a porta-potty
Sky reported that a drunk, naked Pennsylvania man became trapped in a portable toilet's holding area and had to use his cell phone to call 911.
Debit card at the checkpoint
Zeth said his sober designated driver Danny handed a cop a debit card instead of a license at a checkpoint, prompting tests that ultimately exposed Zeth's suspended license.

It's being reported this morning that Jessica Alba gave birth to a baby girl yesterday. I know you're probably thinking you're hearing this incorrectly, but it's true. The Padres swept the Mets. All four games, including yesterday, as Tony Clark hit a pinch-hit three-run home run to give them the lead and the win, 8-6. I wonder if they've swept any team this whole season. Oh, they have not. Not even close. Right? Not even close. What a great thing, right? I don't know what happened. They just all of a sudden started hitting. Pitching turned around. You know, what's so weird is how, you know, teams are, especially in baseball, you know, they're so, not superstitious, but they're so, like, get into that, you know? It's like a mindset, you know? They get into the mindset of losing, and then they get into the mindset of winning. Maybe they'll start winning. That would be good. I would like that. That'd be really awesome. Yeah. Gigantoid show today. It's as big as the Empire State Building, the show today. It's really big. King Kong could scale today's show. We got Crush from American Gladiators. You know, Eddie, who I'm talking about? Gina Carano. He likes American Gladiators. That's the deal. She's my favorite. Is she real pretty?
Google it. She's freaking gorgeous. Google her. Let me Google it. Let me get on the Google. Google it up, Skye. Crush. American Gladiators. Let's see. Let's get some images. Click on images. That Google's good, man. I'll show you everything. Let's see. Oh, she's real pretty. She looks very... She looks very girl next door. Yeah. Young. But she'll beat you up. Yeah? Yeah. Which is hot. I wonder how old a person she is. She's pretty young. I think she's probably like 25 somewhere. Oh, nice. Those American gladiator people, you know, not just the women, the men, they're very beefy. Yeah. They're very beefy, you know? And the beef is like solid muscle.
You know, it makes them look very, you know, like livestock. It's really interesting. It's really, really, really interesting. You know, in a good way. The thing about Gina is, you know, she's a MMA fighter, too. And she fights at 140, so she's not, you know, she's in good shape. Oh, dude, she's so thin. She's got the, what do you call it, the abs and the whole thing. And she fights, Eddie? Yeah, she's an MMA fighter. She's kind of the face for women's MMA. Wow. Obviously the face. Meow. Okay. But she was just on that big CBS fight they had a couple weekends ago. Question for you. Yes. Okay. I know you're a single man, and I'm not going there. I'm not going there with this Gina. I'm actually married. No, no. I mean, I know you're not a single man. I know you're a married man. That's what I meant to say. Yeah. And I'm not going there. But my question to you is, would you, back in your single days, have been able to date a tough girl? Gina, yes. Most of the girls, no. I mean, Gina's freaking gorgeous. Oh, I know she's gorgeous. But with that personality of, like, I'm a fighter, would you be able to... She doesn't come across like that. I've seen a ton of interviews with her. She doesn't really come across like that. The hard part would be seeing her in the thing. You know, seeing her getting...
Her face punch. Yeah. Like Brandon Vera's wife. Yeah. You know, she boxes. I know. He's told us. He said he can't. It's hard to do. It's hard to watch. You know, watch your wife get hit in the face. Like, that's hard to do. Speaking of Brandon Vera, he fought this weekend. What happened? Oh, no, no, no. No, don't. Come on. Don't. Don't. It's very upsetting. He's a friend of the show. Yeah. Another very controversial decision. Brandon. He was toward the end of the first round, and it was a pretty even fight. In fact, he may have even been winning the fight. He got taken to the ground and mounted, and the guy was throwing punches. And the referee, according to most people, prematurely stopped the fight. And there was only like 10 seconds left in the fight. What was Brandon's reaction to the stopping of the fight? He was very angry. I bet. Yeah, he was very angry. And he jumped up immediately and was like, I'm fine. Why are you stopping the fight? Like, there's nothing wrong with me, you know. There was murmuring going on, too. There was murmuring going on that the ref was saying to him because he was getting knocked.
Because he was mounted and getting totally knocked. But he was defending himself. He had his arms up. He was conscious and defending himself. And I guess the ref was being like, are you okay? Are you good? And Brandon was saying, I'm okay. I'm okay. But the ref thought that he was saying, like, I'm not okay. And so he stopped it with 15 seconds left in the first round. What a bummer. Well, the unfortunate part, as you know, in the UFC, if you lose a few fights, you start to... You start to drop down in the card and then you're completely out of the thing. So that's two in a row for Brandon that he's lost. So I don't know. I mean, it's going to be rough for him to make a comeback. Was he fighting a big name? He was fighting a guy. It was basically for the number one contender spot for the heavyweight title. So this guy is going to probably get a title shot. This was an important fight. Who did he fight? The guy's name is Fabricio Verdun. There it is. Fabricio. What a bummer, man. Not speaking English. Poor Brandon. And you could tell, like, the UFC, they were promoting, like, Brandon. Like, they want him to be the face of the heavyweight division because of how charismatic he is. And they were saying, you know, like, this guy should be the next big thing. And it just didn't work out. I would not.
want to be Brandon's next opponent. Yeah. He's pretty upset. Well, you know that his next opponent is going to have to be the guy that Brandon shows the world what he's capable of. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't want to be that guy. Definitely not. I would not want to be that guy. I'd tap out now. In other UFC news, Matt Hughes got his face smashed in, which is pretty cool. So happy about that. Who did he fight? He got blooded up. He fought Tiago Elvis. Tiago Alves. I have not really studied UFC. No. I recognize the big names, but other than that, I don't recognize anybody. It was kind of a weird card because a lot of injuries happened. This was supposed to be Chuck Liddell's big fight, and remember that hamstring injury I showed you guys that he had? So he was out, and there was a couple of the guys that were supposed to fight that got injured. So it was kind of a patchwork card. Hey, let's introduce everybody and then jump right into the show and get your phone calls rolling in. 570-1053 is our phone number. And we do open phones at the start and finish of the show. So call us, 570-1053. And then our text line is open to 35253. And you can text us whenever you want to.
If you do not belong to the Mikey Show P1 Text Army, get on it. It's really fun. And we send you blasts every once in a while, let you know when cool stuff is going on. And so the way that you do it is just text the word Mikey to 35253, and we'll get you all dialed in. I'm the host of the show. My name is Mikey. I will go ahead and pay Sky a late fee right now. Go ahead and just be heard. You promised. Hang on a second. Hang on. You said this was the best weekend to do it. Now, Sky. Now, Sky. You're not saying anything. What's the reason? Alright, we covered that. Sky, you must accept this. Because if you do not accept this, then I will not have I don't want to do this again. I don't want to give this up again. And so you must accept this so that I will watch Lars and the Real Girl today. Today. You must accept this. I have to be motivated. You're doing me a favor. Please. Please. Donate it to your favorite charity. Other words, Zeth. Okay.
Seth is eating today. Oh, that's crap. Now. We got our creamer. Now. This is what happened. Okay. All right. Let's hear it. And so, there you go. You didn't have to do anything this weekend. You didn't have to do anything this weekend. You were real excited. You're going to watch it. You guys will be so disappointed in me. I know. I did not. Do what I thought I was going to do, which was just lay in bed and relax. I didn't do that. I didn't do that. I figured I have a couple of things I'd like to take care of that I usually don't have some time for. So let me go do that. And I did. And then before you know it, it's time to go to church Saturday night. Oh, wow. It happened like that in the blink of an eye. But what happened Friday and Sunday? Friday. Oh, no. I'll explain.
Friday, wiped out, tired, asleep Friday night, 7.30 at night. Don't blame me. Sunday, I was doing so much. I'll tell you what I was doing yesterday. I'll tell you what I was doing. Yesterday was the day to deal with Rebecca's car. She doesn't do any maintenance on her car. I got to do the maintenance on her car. So I went and dealt with all the maintenance on her car. And then... What did I do after that? Oh, and then. Send the workflow guy over there. Okay, so then Rebecca said, will you get it? I'm going to jump in the pool. Will you go out there with me? Now, this is good marriage time. You spend married life together. You spend, you share. You know, you do what sometimes you do. You go, your mind says, I'd rather do something for my, and you go, no.
I love you. I'm going to spend some time with you. So I spent some time. Then I had to get out and I had to make some pesto because we were going to a potluck with my writing class. With your senior citizen writing class? Yes. Average age of the attendees? Yeah. 75. It's at a senior center. Yeah. Well, this was at someone's house. It's a rager. So it was a rager. It was fun. So that was, and then this morning, it hit me this morning when I was going to blog. I'll tell you when I remembered it. It hit him this morning. I'll tell you when I remembered it. I remembered it Friday night before I went to sleep. And I went, I'm so stoked that I'm going to be able to go in Monday and say, I watched Lies in the Real, girl. You're a nut. Didn't think of it again. Wow. I'll tell you what I did watch this weekend, though. Man vs. Wild. Why would you watch anything? I mean, if you have time to watch that. I don't blame him. That was a great one. But I mean, if you have time to watch anything. You're right. Sky's right. If I had thought of Lars and the Real Girl, I would have chose that over Man vs. Wild. You need to tape it to your mirror. I do.
I do. I need to write it in lipstick on the mirror. You got to do it. I can carry a post-it with you everywhere you go. Man vs. Wild was awesome. He is it? Now, I wonder, because, Eddie, I've got a bunch of them saved, and so I wonder if I watched the right one. I don't know. He skinned a yak. Yeah, part two of Siberia. What? He's a yak. Eyeball. Filthy. Eyeball. Filthy. Eddie. Eyeball. Filthy. Eyeball. Filthy. Come on. Crazy. Filthy. That was hard. When Bear gags, that's when you know, okay, like, I can't. A human being can't handle that. Bear Girls is a survivalist that shows Man vs. Wild. They drop him into remote locations, and he survives for a few days and videotapes it and shows you how to do it. He jumped into freezing cold. Nude. I mean, he's nude. And there's snow everywhere. I mean, this river.
It had been covered by ice, but there was a portion of it that was open. To show you how to survive if you accidentally fall in the ice. Naked? You accidentally fall in the ice naked? He says you've got to get naked. You literally cannot have your clothes wet because they will freeze to your skin. And you'll die. Siberia is the coldest place on it. But who accidentally falls in the water naked in Siberia? Let me explain. So if you die instantly, what's the point of even doing that? I'll explain to you. It wasn't that. He was trying to get from one place. His whole thing is he shows you if you're ever in a situation where you're here, here's how you get out. Now, he doesn't mean Siberia. He means if you're out in the snow, Utah, okay? What if, what if, what if. This is how you get out of here. Now, if you are trying to move, you know, in a direction and you come across a river like this and you go, uh-oh, I got to get through this. You know, obviously look for things you can crawl over, whatever. But if that's not available. Get down to your birthday suit, jump in that rascal, and make your way across. Amazing. They have to digitally, you know, block out the goods. The Twig and Berries. Yeah, the Twig and Berries. The cameraman jumps in this ice cold water with him, and the camera instantly, the lens freezes instantly. No way. It's so crazy. I mean, that's crazy to watch.
But when I'm sitting in my living room by myself and I speak out loud in the living room by myself and I say to myself, don't do it. And I do. When he was doing the yak, the eyeball is the most protein rich, one of the most protein rich portions of the animal's body. There's no time to cook it. Yeah, he did too. And I said to him. Don't do it. That was hard to watch. But he did do it. The eyeball exploded with juice out of his mouth. That's okay. That's enough. That's pretty rough. I hear you. Imagine a balloon. So it's 620. Good morning. That's what happened. Welcome to the breakfast show. That's right. Good morning. It's the breakfast show. Brian said goodbye to you. Did I mention my name and everything? Did I tell my age and all that? I don't know. Mike, 37? Yeah. 38. Oh, wow. Mike, 38. That's Eddie. He's 35. Does sports. And he's an executive producer. It's a pretty good title to hold. Yeah. Executive chef as well.
You just added that. And executive in charge of the office. That's right. Thank you. Skye's our news girl. Hi. She's 30 years of age. She's wearing green today. She's gone green. I love it when she wears green. Yeah, I've heard green looks good on me. It's really flattering. Everyone except for my husband believes that to be a fact. How do you know your husband doesn't feel that? Surely he didn't tell you. Oh, he did. Come on. I'm polite. Yeah. How did he tell you? This has been going on for you. I don't like green on you. This has been a thing for a while. This has been a thing for a while, basically. He's pretty picky with the way she dresses. Green does not look good. He likes his wife like he likes his wife. It's true. Everybody tells me green looks good. It brings out my eyes. It goes with my hair color. The hair and the skin. Everybody thinks it looks great. What does he say? Nothing, which means he hates it. No, no. He's definitely made, like, I don't want to.
I can't remember exactly. It gives you dirty looks. But it's basically like, oh, you're wearing green? And he goes, oh, I thought green didn't look good on you. And I'm like, no, actually the opposite. I thought green didn't look good. How do you do that? Like he's trying to say it like I maybe have mentioned that before, that green isn't my color, you know. And then I explained to him. I thought you said I hate your hair like that. I thought you had said that. Didn't you say that? You hate your hair? And then I explained to him how everybody says green looks great on me. And then he goes. Everybody like who? Yeah. And then he wants me to name names of people. He's like, do you have a notary at work? Could you get them to say that they did? Show me a Rolex. And then notarize that. I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. And Rolex. Rolex with the contacts of the people that think their hair looks good with the green on it. That brings out the hair. I'd prefer it if Sky did it. Oh, I'm sorry. Did I forget the D?
I think Sean took care of it. Well, you forgot the A and the D. There was a couple other letters in there. You left an E in there on mistake, too. Might as well knock that building down and just reconstruct. It's a silent D. It's a silent D. Thanks, guys. Whatever. Sean is our sound effects man. And he's rolling shirt today. Oh, yeah. Yeah. He's rolling button down. Hello. Mm-hmm. Not for long. Not for long. Why not for long? It's hot in here, Mike. Uh-oh. Take it off. They keep it 80 degrees in here. Yeah, but you figured out a way to change that. Sauna. Weren't you doing it with a blow dryer? They locked the thermostat. Yeah, they locked the thermostat, so I got a little portable heater, and I take the heater in the other room, and I point it at the thermostat. No. And it kicks the AC on. To make the AC go on. No, you do not. You're a genius. Yeah, I do. Of course I do. You're a genius. What happened? I come in today, and my little heater is gone. Oh, no. They took your heater. They took my heater, and they took my coffee cup. No. It's the third coffee cup I've had stolen in the last, I don't know, three months.
Are we talking a coffee mug or are we talking one of those thermal cups? Thermal cup. How would somebody, to me, besides the filthy aspect of it, it's just gross using someone's thing. Thank you. Yucky. Yeah, animals. Coffee cup bandit. What the heck? Ashley's our assistant producer. She's got a birthday coming up pretty soon. That's right. It's a big one. June 30th. Turning a quarter of a century. That's right. She's going to be 25. Wow. I'm a quarter of the way done, man. I know. You think you'll be 100? No. No. I don't. But if I was looking at an average person living to be almost that long, it could be a quarter of the way. There you go. If you make it. Ashley has blonde hair. If you make it. And she was a former student at San Diego State University. The Aztecs. And she is an Aztec.
Yeah. She bleeds maroon and gold. Wait, no. What? No. What is that? What? She bleeds black and red. Yeah. There you go. Oh, are those the colors? That's the colors. You went there. The colors of the Aztecs. I didn't. Color of the Aztecs. I dropped out like three and a half years ago. Yeah. Hello, brah. So you don't remember? Spend a minute, brah. Boston Rob's hair is out of control. Can I just say? I was showing the armpit video where he was massaging my armpit when he was my slave to my boyfriend over the weekend. Oh, my gosh. And the first thing he pointed out, he was like, that's hair looks different. What's up with that? Yeah, he looks like, what's going on with that guy? Is he okay? He looks like Ben Harper. What? What's going on with that hair stuff? He's got an afro. He homeless. But he's white. Rob is our phone screener. He's 25. He's engaged to be married. He also writes songs, and he likes to grow his hair out as a pastime. Rob. It's a hobby. Yes, it's one of his hobbies. You know, he goes to, like, growyourhairoutstores.com, website. Exactly. You know, he's in news groups. Blogs about it. Blogs about it. Rob, how long will you let the hair get?
I got it trimmed this weekend. You did? You did not. Come on. This guy just gave me a look like, what? Now she's looking at him. Like, what are you talking about, liar head? Like with scissors? No, with toenails. My brother did it. My brother chewed it off. And then there's Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates III, Jr., Esquire. How are you, Sethian? I'm okay. You doing good? Yeah. Very nice. Very nice. Take a look at Seth. Make sure everything's still okay. He wears one headphone on and one headphone off. All the time? Yeah. What? What's interesting about it is that I've known a couple of guys in radio to do it. One guy was this guy, Jeff Stewart. I don't like that laugh. And Jeff used to do it.
But he only had one ear. Yeah, that was the thing. He only had one ear. That's the weird part. Don't forget about Gary Owens. Gary Owens? Did Gary Owens do that? Yeah. I don't remember Gary Owens doing that. You don't remember that? Well, I've never seen a video of him, but he's an old-time dude. He was always doing that where he'd pull it back and cup his ear. Hell, hello. Gary Owens. So, yeah, why do you do that, Zeth? Like, ever since I've started here, I don't think I've ever had a pair of headphones where both ears work in the headphones. Really? Yeah. Aren't those your headphones? Yeah, I had them for about two days until my dog chewed them up. And, yeah, it only comes in the right ear now. All right. That would drive me nuts. Yeah, it sucks. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So if you put them in and it's not working, it'll drive you nuts. Don't we work at Best Buy? Yeah. Get some headphones. Is Carol on a side? Work at Best Buy. What's up? I mean, they're still too expensive. Yeah. The discount. When's your birthday? March. Oh, it's going to be a while. Too bad. It's going to be a while. What about Abaday? Pew and Scooby's on the line. You'll be waiting. What's happening, guys? What's going on, Scoob? Well, I'm 31 years old today. Oh, look at you. How about you? 31, huh? Yeah. And looking good, bro. Yeah, no, dude, you sound stoked.
I'm stoked. Yeah, no, no. You sound... Why are you down, Scooby? Yeah, why are you so down? I'm not. I'm waking up. Okay. All right. You're just waking up. I'm watching Eddie and the Cruisers 2, man. What? What? Is that a movie? Yeah, it is. Okay. Eddie and the Cruisers 2? Yeah. Do you wake up and just throw that on? Part of the morning ritual? Yeah. Honey. Where's my Eddie and the Cruisers 2 DVD? Babe, I need more sequels nobody's heard of. Next time you're at a Mexican garage sale, can you... Scooby, why do you have that movie on? I was just surfing the channels. Oh, okay. It's on television. Yeah. Oh, man. It's just on. I gotcha. It's just too bad. Yeah. Well, happy birthday, dude. What are you going to do to celebrate your 31st or 30th? First. 31st. What are you going to do? I'm going to the DMV. Oh. What is that all about? Tonight, are you doing anything with your wife? I'm probably just going to go have a dinner somewhere. I don't know. Sweet. Very nice. So, I don't know what she has planned. Nice. Aw. All right, brother. I took the day off. My wife took the day off. Oh, good. Tomorrow's my wedding anniversary. Oh, wow. You got two big things. Man, that is always... Yeah. The people with a birth that like... My niece...
Her birthday is December 19th. And, you know, six days later, you're giving her something else. You're going to drain the money out of me? Is that what you're trying to do? People with the birthdays right next to the anniversaries and all that stuff. Combo gifts. They don't like them. No, they're not combo gifts. My father-in-law is December 26th, and you cannot use anything Christmas-related to wrap his present. You cannot put his present anywhere near the tree. Makes sense. There are rules. Makes sense. There are rules. That sucks. Sure. You want to be able to enjoy. You know, it's not your fault you were born then. I did it this way, so I would never forget my wedding anniversary. Does she combo gifts on you, or do you get different ones? No, I get different ones. There you go. That's good. All right. Hey, thanks for the call, dude. All right, man. Nice to see you. It always trips me out when I think about Father's Day coming up here because I take part in that now. It's still so weird to me because all I ever think about is my dad. I go, oh, it's Father's Day. And I do, but I never consider myself a dad. And then I go, oh, wait a minute. I have a son. That's cool.
So I'm going to do the Father's Day thing. That's really cool, man. You get to go out to dinner. You get to kick back and everybody's got to do stuff for you. Nice, huh? You get to kick back and watch Lars and the Real Girl. All right. I'm just saying. You got a day. I want to see it. I really want to see it. Here's what we have on today. We have the DCC, which is the Dumb Chick Challenge. Maybe I'll win today. You could? Yeah. Eddie instantly laughed. That's funny. Who knows? She could win today. It's been over a year. Ash, my suggestion is go three-pointers, man. You get those three-point crushes. You get the hardest ones right. Yeah. The ones that give you trouble are the easiest ones. I know. Ash. We ask you about quantum physics, yes. Yeah. We ask you about our last president, forget it. No. Our text number is 35253. And we're also going to have crush. From American Gladiators. Talk about it. On the show today. How about Buzz Aldrin? Dude. You want Buzz Aldrin? He landed on the moon. That's right. He landed on the moon. See what I mean? That's crazy. Buzz Aldrin. That's crazy. We're going to ask a guy, what was it like to be on the moon? Dude. Yeah, real good. I don't know what it was like to be on the moon. Real sweet, dude. I wonder if they went through any kind of depression coming back.
Having that perspective put Jack with your head. He had some troubles after he retired. Really? Yeah, went through alcoholism. Really? Oh, man, I bet. That's it. I mean, you live all that and then that's it? Forget it. P1 trivia today so that somebody can come hang out in the studio on Friday. So we'll do that later in the show. Still looking for the best pizza in San Diego. So if you work for a pizza place and you want to get your pizza place involved, there must be a local. Pizza place. We're not talking about Domino's or Papa John's or anything like that. We're looking local pizza. So, yeah, get a hold of us. And we're still on. Eddie, when are we doing single dad set up Friday? Friday. Friday is single dad set up because Father's Day is Sunday. And so we're looking for single dads to go to our website. And all the requirement of you is you got to be a single dad. You have to have a kid. old enough to come into the studio with you and ask questions to some ladies that we're going to bring in here. However, there is a bad fatality accident, unfortunately, that happened this morning a little while ago. North 125 at Hammershaw Boulevard. Emergency crews are on the scene. Investigators there as well. That's definitely going to cause a backup on your commute heading that direction, so keep that in mind this morning. You might want to take an alternate route. Again, a fatality accident being investigated. North 125 at Hammershaw Boulevard. Southbound 15, you've got the usual stuff developing out of Escondido at the 78th of your Rancho Parkway. The coaster rides South 5. A little tight. That events need a Santa Fe drive down to Manchester. Keep in mind that the U.S. Open begins the practice rounds. Begin today at Torrey Pines. The gates are already open right now. The practice round begins at 7. Everyone has to park their cars pretty much at Qualcomm Stadium and be shuttled up to the open this morning. We've also got Friars Road. The signal lights on the off-front of Friars Road are flashing like a four-way stop to kind of keep things moving at a general pace there. So keep that in mind this morning as well.
and watch for a lot of traffic around Genesee and Carmel Valley Road as time wears on this morning as people head to the open. This report is brought to you by, I think we already did it, never mind, Conor McLaurenton, Rock 105.3. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, yeah, this is Matt. I was calling about the sleep train. Oh, cool. Did you go to sleep train? Oh, yeah. What'd you get, dude? I got the Carmelo Plus, or Super Plus. Nice. The Carmelo Anthony? No, I'm not sure it was that. I was just kidding. Bed with caramel in the middle. That's right. You like your mattress? We haven't got it yet, but we're getting it tonight. Cool. But we got a super, super killer deal from the Encinitas one. Cool. Well, dude, thank you very much for the call. All right. Thank you. Now back to Mikey. I have a newly developed fear of spiders.
Eddie. Why do girls want to ruin our fun? Sky. We all know that I don't like to spend money when I don't have to. Sean. We have the stupidest neighbors in the world. Boston Rob. I get really annoyed when people have sneezing fits. And Ashley. I hate underwear and I don't wear underwear. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Life is a highway? Jam. No, I don't think life is a highway. I'm listening to lyrics, bro. This is the original version. This is the one that came out in the early 90s as opposed to the country one that came out like last year. Welcome back. It is 642. Well, this is nothing new to us in San Diego, but gas has hit a national average of $4 a gallon.
NBA Finals, Boston has taken a two-game lead over the Lakers. Kobe Bryant is not happy about it. Cuts 57. Get our beep in gear. Play beep harder. And a bunch of other beeps. Beep, beep, beep. Eddie Murphy, raw times 10. Well, I think we know how you feel, Kobe. Kobe, just remember, life is a highway. Sure. I read this weekend that life is a test. I think I agree with that. It's like everything's a test. I think I agree. We're going to do a single dad setup on Friday. It's going to be great. We're going to have single dads in here. And we are going to have single ladies in here. If you're interested, single dads or single ladies, go to MikeyShow.com, type in the keyword dads, and you're good to go. Nationally, gas has hit an average of four bucks. Nationally. Yeah. Help us. Oh, please.
They say the gas has gone up about 20 cents in the past three weeks. Yeah, not good at all. I go to that website, sandiegogasprices.com, where people post the lowest and highest gas prices they've seen. So the lowest gas price we're seeing around town is $4.29. I watched that. I am legend this weekend. They, you know, it's in the future. Right. Like 2012 or something like that. And they show a scene where he's getting gas at a gas station. And the gas price on there is $7.20. And I'm like, you know what? That's not that far off. The low right now in San Diego is about $4.29 for a gallon of regular gas. And the high is $4.89 for a gallon of regular gas. Well, let's go to our correspondent on the field when it comes to gas, ladies and gentlemen. We now go out into the field where we have a roving reporter out in the field right now. Let's check in with Gassy McTutor. Gassy McTutor. Our official correspondent on all things gas. I think you're using her maiden name.
Actually, Al Fartsy McPoop. Al Fartsy McPoop? Yeah. All right. That is her married name. And are you there, Ms. Poop? Skye. Her name is Skye. Maybe there's a hyphen now. Yeah. Gassy McTutor hyphen toot. Poop. Aw. Is she not there? We must have communication problems, and we're not able to get her feed. Are you there, Gassy? No. It's supposed to be live in the bean field. That's right. Baron Von Fartstress, are you there? Baron Von Fluffenstein. Sergeant Squeaker. Sergeant Squeaker. Come in, Sergeant Squeaker. Are you there? I guess not. We must not be able to reach our robing correspondent on the field who gives us...
The priority word on what's happening out there in Tutsi land. It's too bad. P1 Orlando, are you there? I'm here. What's up, Orlando? Guy, are you going to keep me in suspense or are you going to tell me where the lowest gas is? Okay, so the lowest gas prices we found is... $4.29 a gallon. Now, you can get it lower, but that's like Costco. You need to be a member or the military places. You need a military IT. $4.29 is the lowest. But $4.29 is the lowest, and it lists here that it's a cash price. Now, that's at the Golden State in Poway on Poway Road and Community. Also at $4.29 a gallon is World Gas in Chula Vista. That's on H Street. That is the worst idea ever, by the way. Right? Lots of places, you know, they're now doing the cash price versus the credit price, and it's like 10 cents different a gallon. Yeah. That was a lot of help. Thank you. Skye, where is the highest again? The highest I found was 49 a gallon in Oceanside on the 101 in Wisconsin. Okay. In Wisconsin? No. It's like an intersection.
Why would I go to Wisconsin and get gas? That's the highest price. I'll actually be using more gas. Yeah, for sure. That's the highest price. First the award shows in other states and now gas? Now what? Okay, Sean, that was like six years ago. Let it go. Let it go. Kid Rock was huge at the time. What's gas like in Vermont? What's it in Detroit? Shut up. Did you say $4.49? For what, the cheapest? Yeah, $4.49. $4.29 is the cheapest. Okay. And the highest was $4.49. Was $4.89. Oh, $4.89. Holy. Got it. That is a lot of money. So a 60 cent difference just depending on, you know, what gas station you're going to per gallon. If one of these presidential candidates said, I promise you, I'll lower gas prices to $1.50 an hour, I bet it doesn't matter who the candidate is, we'd vote for them. Yeah, I had a very interesting conversation with a gentleman at CVS yesterday who was in line in front of me and decided to start talking politics with me. Oh. Yeah, and he was talking about that same thing, and he was a very inappropriate man. What did he say? Well, he was talking about, you know, oh, and these candidates aren't addressing gas prices, and that Hillary, she didn't have a chance after her husband was caught with his fingers in the pie, and blah, blah, blah. Oh, my gosh.
And you're having to do the whole... Yeah, that's exactly what I'm doing. I wasn't a finger anyway. And I'm looking around for help. Yeah, you should have just started screaming for help. They're blowing your whistle. You know what I mean? Okay, so speaking of the candidates, here's... Man, she's so long-winded. I'm not kidding. Every time I see a clip from Hillary Clinton, it's so long, the clip. It takes a lot of time to talk when you talk like a robot. I guess. Well, here's what she is saying about Barack Obama. Cut one. To continue our fight now. To accomplish the goals for which we stand is to take our energy, our passion, our strength. and do all we can to help elect Barack Obama, the next president. As I suspend my campaign, I congratulate him on the victory he has won and the extraordinary race he has run. I endorse him and throw my full support. So here she is, basically coming up with a slogan for the Barack Obama-Hillary Clinton campaign. No way. Basically. No way. Basically.
She's coming up with a slogan. She's saying to the world and to Barack, hey, listen, I'm going to throw it out there. If you like it, let's run with it. Let's get together here. In fact, if you don't select me at this point after offering this slogan, you're just a bad person, Barack. Cut to. For as long as America has existed, it has been the American way to reject. can't do claims, and to choose instead to stretch the boundaries of the possible through hard work, determination, and a pioneering spirit. It is this belief, this optimism, that Senator Obama and I share, and that has inspired so many millions of our supporters to make their voices heard. So today, I am standing with Senator Obama to say, yes, we can. There it is. Print the t-shirts and the bumper stickers and the big signs that will go behind. Yeah, I'll put one on my lawn. Yes. Obama. We can. Obama Clinton. But nope. Yes, we can. He hasn't asked her yet. Yes, we can. Yes, we can. Thank you. She's decided. She's decided. No, she's decided. It's not her. Yes, we can. Yes, we can. Yes, we can. But it's not. Yes, we can. Yes, we can. Yes, we can. Hello?
Hi, guys. It's Barbara calling in. Oh, hi, Barbara. Oh, good morning. How is everyone? Good morning to you. Good morning. Good morning. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am a full-time Barack supporter and a full-time black woman. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Full-time, full-time, as they say on the Rush Limbaugh show. Hold on a second now, Barbara. Go ahead. You have been a Hillary supporter since day one. Now you're telling us you're throwing your full support behind Barack Obama? Yes, behind Obama Clinton. That's not official yet, though. Yes, we can. Yes, we can. It's not official, you guys. Yes, we can. You're sounding good, Barbara. You're sounding great today. Oh, that's right. That's right. Ever since I have come to know Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and the whole campaign, I've been clean now for 24 hours. Congratulations. I've been working on it really hard. And, you know, I don't know if Ash has told you, but she's my sponsor. And I'm just real happy to be doing real well. That's right. And I just decided over the weekend this guy is going to be my higher power for a couple of weeks.
until I can find a higher power that's available. But I've been asking people there, and they said, I can't do that for you. And I was like, okay, I guess you're busy. Anyway, I dropped that one for the weekend, and I'm just happy to be going along with this whole Obama-Clinton thing. I think it's going to be great. Are you going to vote Obama-Clinton, Eddie? Well, first of all, they are not officially running mates. And secondly, you know that that's going to be what I don't know that. I don't know any of this. I don't know any of this. Well, it will hurt if he does. If he doesn't choose her, then he's sexist. So, well, listen, by the way, Barbara, there's no chance in hell I would vote for them. Well, I just think that this momentous occasion of, you know, Barack Obama officially becoming the Democratic nominee is worthy of a toast. So let's celebrate with a little champagne and Myers. No, no, no. Just a second. Does everyone have their glasses raised? Glug, glug, glug, glug, glug.
She's a goner now. She's a goner. Oh, you're Barbara. Is this Tammy? No, it is not. Tammy, where's my Klonopin? Whoa, that was strange. That was a weird call. That lady, she needs to figure it out for sure. For sure. For sure. That was Barbara. Apparently now a Barack Obama. Our text number is 35253 and our phone number is 570-1053. We'd love to hear from you on the phone or through text message. Give us a call. When we come back. First of all, did you guys hear that Jim McKay passed away? That's sad. He's the guy that did the ABC Wide World of Sports thing. But he was also in sports for ABC for years and did cool stuff for ABC. Come back. Eddie, you're going to love this. This is one of the things that... Eddie always finds interesting is actors, you know, famous movie stars that have turned down roles in other movies. Oh, yeah. And then those movies go on to become very popular and you try to imagine what would have been like if he'd said yes. Right. I got one of those when we come back. It's Dustin Hoffman. And wait until I tell you what roles he was offered. I think that both of them, you're going to go, what? Oh, no.
But he was offered the rules. We'll tell you what they are when we come back. It takes energy to be a part of Junior Nation. The Mikey Show. Featuring Mikey. I rarely remember things that I wanted to say. Eddie. I love causing trouble. Sky. Now Rancho Bernardo. In your community. Shower cap on. Just getting some sun. Sean. Sean wears capri pants? Not capri pants. Boston Rob. I enjoy the taste of medicine. And Ashley. I can only take really small bites of food. Really small bites of food. The Mikey Show's on. You guys are so cute. Thank you. Rock 105.3. Welcome back to the show. It is 7.04. The animated movie Kung Fu Panda was the number one movie this weekend, making $60 million. Casey Kane wins from the pole at Pocono this weekend. This will be a true team victory. Battled back from the problem on pit road. Started on the pole. Four of the last five. Now five of the last six races at Pocono have been won from the front row. The pole winner is going to take the checkers. Casey Kane wins at Pocono. I think Pocono's a twisty course, right? It's a road course, right? It's not? It's like the triangle. Oh, yeah, yeah. It looks like a hangar. Yeah. I wouldn't want to race on that. Oh, that'd be fun. Really? All those straightaways. Yeah, but what about the turns? They seem creepy. Yeah. You would like it. No, those are bad. Those are bad, right? Here's some of the text messages we're getting at 35253. New listeners, try to figure this one out. To B-Rob, what's wrong with the name Karen?
New listeners will not get that. No, no, no. There's nothing wrong with the name Karen, right? Nothing at all wrong with that name. When I make business calls, she's a very important person. She's a very, very important person to Rob. Few people get to speak with Karen, actually, so it's a pleasure. Rob was making a business call from the office, and Eddie started to give him the business, and I heard this, and then I started to join in. Skye, did you join in on that? Oh, yeah. We were all doing it. All three of us were, like, giving the guy a hard time. He's trying to have a business conversation in our office. Very serious. And he's very serious. And so he goes, he calls a number, and he goes, hi, Karen, this is Rob calling. And Eddie goes, well, hi, Karen. And then we all just started going, yeah. His voice completely changed when he was talking to her. Hi, Karen, this is Robert. Welcome. Welcome.
I was always wondering, would you be available for lunch or tea tomorrow? Sorry to bother you. You and Muffy. And he's trying not to laugh. And he's also, like. I'm seeing you guys out wicked bad. Yeah. And he's, like, trying not to. He doesn't want to, like, let us know that it's having any effect because he knows I'll make it worse. Well, he's trying to be professional. Trying to be professional on the phone. Thank you. Talkin' a corporate. No. Okay. No. How's Corbin doing tonight? Next text message says, hey guys, looking forward to hearing all of the show while I am out with a broken leg. It's P1 Jason. I hope you're feeling better, dude. I know it. That's terrible. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. So give us a call. Let's see. What do I got for you? Oh, I said... That when we came back, I wanted to play this for you. Dustin Hoffman. What movies was Dustin Hoffman originally offered that he turned down? Try to imagine him in these roles. Cut 15. Dustin revealed to me that he actually turned down one of the biggest action hero roles. I was the first one that was asked to do Rambo. Why didn't you do it? It was a little...
Too much violence. Any other movies that you regret not having taken? Those encounters. Realize that you never turn down a master at his craft, which Stephen is. But is there one more role the Oscar winner wants? I've never been asked to do James Bond. Dustin Hoffman is James Bond. Come on. I have a better body. Oh, my God. Wow. Dude. Rambo. Right? No way. Yuck. Rambo. I can't even imagine that. Yeah. Rambo. No way. Holy moly. Even the Close Encounters role, that role is so Richard Dreyfuss to me, I just can't imagine somebody else in it. I can kind of go there with him. You can see Dustin in that? Yeah, because it's kind of like an every guy role. There's nothing crazy about it, but Rambo. Rambo's whacked out. I can't even wrap my hair around that one. That'd be like Dustin Hoffman in Raiders of the Lost Ark or something.
It'd be just as weird. Lethal weapon. Okay. Eddie. Yes. If you had to never allow one of the following foods to touch your lips again, which would you be willing to give up? Oh, my. Okay. Pizza. No. Eddie's already shaking his head no. He's already shaking his head no. Or a burrito of any kind. Those are the two choices. You have to give one up. You cannot let this touch your lips the rest of your life. I'm okay. I'm okay, guys. Or a burrito of any kind. I can do this. I can handle this. The thing about the burrito is I can still eat Mexican food. I just can't put it in a burrito form. That is correct. I can eat tortillas. Yes.
The burrito fixings. I just can't wrap it up in the burrito. I like you. I like what you're doing here. Does this not have to do with delivery method? The delivery method of a burrito is so perfect. It is. I agree with you. But to not have a pizza ever again, I can't handle that. The thought of that is very disheartening. So I would take the pizza and just enjoy my Mexican food. The other way. Because you don't take the toppings of a pizza and have them separately. That doesn't make any sense. You don't just go out and get pepperoni. Skye? When you first said this, I was devastated. I was like, there's no way I'm going to be able to answer this question, right? But Eddie, with his explanation about how you can still have the Mexican food all in just separate...
I'm okay with that. This means that if you guys want carne asada, you can have it, but you can't put it in a burrito. That sucks. Which for me is devastating. That's terrible. Yeah, I'd rather give up the burrito. Really? Ash is giving the same look. Well, first of all, I'm allergic to Mexican food. We all know this. You're not allergic to Mexican food. I have a strong allergy to it. There's no allergies. All the carbs and a tortilla. It's not even possible. Plus, you know about my pizza thing. Like, I love pizza. Like, that's my one fattening vice food that I'll, like, eat. Really? That's the one even though you eat cookies every night? Oh, those don't count. No, that doesn't matter. I'm talking about, like, fast food, like, stuff. Right, right. You know, like, junk food type stuff. Yeah. Pizza's my one vice, like, once a week. I can't give that up ever. Can't. Can't do the pizza. No, I could never give it up. So I'd give up happily the burritos because they make me want to vomit anyways. They induce nausea. Somebody. Sean? I could never, ever give up a burrito. Really? No, there's no way. Even if you're eating the carne asada on the side.
Yeah, I mean, I thought about that, but the truth is, like, I could go without pizza. That's not a big deal to me. Yeah, but I would not want to go without a burrito. No way. No way. You're not American. That might be true. This is so difficult, and I cannot decide it. Oh, Mike, you have to. I can't decide it because I go, every time I say, I'll do without the burrito, I think to myself how perfect that burrito is. And then every time I say I'll go without the pizza, I think to myself, there are so many things that you go to people's houses and they go, we'll order some pizzas. What are you going to do? Enjoy your burrito? Like you're Mexican. I can't do it then. I think she's right. I got to keep in mind, my Mexican-ness is what defines me. That is true. Michael from the office told me that three days ago I walked into the office. And he looked at me and he said that. Your Mexican-ness is what defines you. And we tape recorded it and now we're playing it back. Made a lot of sense. 570-1053 is the phone number. Give us a call if you want to weigh in. Uh, Quixote. Yeah, I was just listening in on your random debate. I was going to say you can eat a calzone, which is basically a pizza just wrapped up sort of like a burrito. Oh, okay. A calzone. They are good.
A calzone that is wrapped up like a burrito. Yeah, basically. I have problems with calzones. What's your problem? First of all, when you cut into it, it's like you've cut into a molten volcano. It's a little warm. You're going to have to wait a good 15 minutes for it to cool down. It was the first hot pocket ever. If you don't want to scald your face. Are you crazy? Sky. If we go to a restaurant and they bring out a calzone and we say, let's give it a minute or two and then skydive in, you've got to give that thing a while. Your face will melt like it is a long star. If I cut it open and give it 120 seconds, I'm good. You're a crazy lady. I'm not a crazy lady. Crazy bag lady? No. You're going to put that thing right in your mouth. No blow. You've got to blow on it. I don't know. I'm asking. It's not enough. It won't cool it. You're going to need the winds of change, my friend. That's right. Two minutes, bro. Did I tell you that my father has never heard of a calzone? No. What? He's never heard of it in his life. Oh, ow. And I was like, I go, Dad, a calzone. You know, like the calzone. Yeah. And he goes, I really, I don't know what that is. What is that? And I was like, are there just foods that we have never heard of? Right. This is so annoying. Sky and her husband. A couple weeks ago,
were on my ass about a dessert that I had never heard of. Yeah. It was called an It's It. An It's It. They're so good. What is an It's It? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Thank you. What is it? I mean, are you guys from the Bay Area? I had never heard of this in my life. Do you know what an It's It is? An It's It. Apparently. Sean, do you know too? Yeah, I love It's It. So good. Eddie, that means me and you don't know. Sean. Ash and Skye. And what about you, Oates? Nah. You've never heard of it? Nope. Rob, have you ever heard of an It's It? Nope. He's shaking his head now. No way. I don't know any of this. Apparently, it's an ice cream sandwich that has two oatmeal chocolate chip, I think. Oatmeal cookies? Or just oatmeal cookies? I think there's oatmeal. Oatmeal cookies that are like dipped in... They're coming in a box? Yeah. Yeah, they're like dipped in chocolate. And they're like square. Is the box blue? It's white and blue. White and blue? Yeah. Maybe I have seen it. It sounds familiar. I'd never heard of it, and the boo and this one over here were freaking out, like, you've never had an It's It, they're the greatest, blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, okay, whatever. I've never heard of it. Well, my wife was, you know, privy to this conversation, and so the other day at the grocery store, she actually found a box of It's It's, bought them, and brought them home.
Tried one for the first time. Did you like it? It was okay. I didn't think it was as good as they made it out to be, but it was all right. What's tough is in San Diego, they only sell the vanilla ones, but up in the Bay Area where they're made, there's mint chip. There's a bunch of different flavors. Really? Yeah, it's really good. Then he goes, well, have you ever heard of peanuttles? That's not true. That isn't a real thing. And I go, you're a joker. Get out of here. And the booze is like, no, dude, peanutls. They're awesome. They're delicious. And my wife went to the restroom, and when she came back, I go, have you ever heard of peanutls? And she goes, yeah, they're great. And I'm like, what are these? Where am I? I'm a big dessert fan, and I don't know how I haven't heard of these. Have you ever had a gooby-doo? It's like Willy Wonka. I know you'll like them. I love them. Stephanie is on the line. Hi, guys. Hello. I just want to know how many burrito parties y'all have been invited to. That's true. There's lots of pizza parties, but there's no such thing as a... I have a lot of food. So, Stephanie... I need to have a burrito party. Yeah, we should have a burrito party. B-Y-O-B. Hey, Stephanie, would you... So, I'm taking it you would easily give up the burritos. Totally. How many different kinds of pizza would you be giving up? I mean, a burrito is just Mexican food. Pizza, there's...
Veggie pizza, there's meat pizza, there's all kinds of great pizzas. Yeah. Giving up an entire widespread food category. Yeah. Just have Italian food, call it a day. No. Thank you. Sky, have you heard of some restaurant in San Marcos, Italian place called Cocina dei Carmela's? Yep. You have? How did you hear about it? When we first moved there, we were talking to some guy that we met that, you know, has lived there all his life. And we're like, yeah, are there some? We were redoing our kitchen, so we were, like, eating out all the time. We're all burnt out on restaurants. I'm like, can you tell us about some good places maybe we haven't heard of? And he told us about that place. It's, like, right off the 78. Yeah, dude, but it's, like, a secret society. Like, it's all hidden. You have to take this back little road, and then it's at the, like, back of this long driveway. Yeah. But the food's really good. It's really good. You walk in there, and they got, like, um. Very old school. It's very old school. And when you walk in there, they got, like, all these newspaper clippings on the wall of reviews of the place that are, like, how great it is. It's pretty good. They got calzones? They got the calzone, I think, probably. Too hot. It's Italian. Stop it. Blow on it a little. It's like hot tar inside those calzones. Hot tar? Napalm. Yeah, that's right. It fuses your lips together. Did I mention Buzz Aldrin's going to be on the show today? Guy that walked on the moon? Wow. Wow.
Say it, Ash. She has to put her hands up in the victory position. In Dumb and Dumber, he just did that, that it wasn't even in the script. Never seen it. And he's putting his hands up between Ashley and I because he knows. He knows that's hurtful. That's pretty hurtful. If you loan it to me, I'll watch it. Join the P1 Text Army. Text Mikey to 35253. I'm telling you, he is into it. Into it, into it. He sends me these emails and I don't even know what they mean. He says that our family name goes back to Pamplona, Spain. So he's got us traced back to 1510. Oh, my God. That is crazy, dude. I know it. And he's got, like, these documents that he looks at with magnifying glasses. I mean, he really is into it. And I'm like, Pop, I can solve all this right now. We're Mexican. You know? But he really, really enjoys it. That's cool. The genealogy. Rob came in and said that he eats some kind of dessert called crazy poops. No. Fart sticks. Grumpy cakes. What are they called, Rob? Funny bones. Funny bones. Farty stones is what they're called. It's like watching Willy Wonka. You ever done a whip it?
Well, yeah, but that's different. That's different. Ah, well. Awesome. There it is. What would you guys, what are your guys' feelings on this right here? Tell me your thoughts on this. The Mikey Show presents a somewhat elastic moiety called the Dumb Chick Challenge. I really enjoy doing the Dumb Chick Challenge. It's fun. It's so much fun. It is. It's fun. Glad someone enjoys it. Fun for who? Right? The object is, and Sky, what are you complaining about? You've been winning the Dumb Chick Challenge now. You've won it like 10 out of the last 12. You have a dynasty. Yes. You now have built, and you're not even a cheater like the New England Patriots. You're like doing it on your own. I want to be the worst player on the best team. I see. And this game is not that. You're the best of the worst. Yeah, I don't want to be. I don't want to be. The Dumb Chick Challenge is Sky.
Ashley, and Boston Rob. And they answer questions. They get to pick whether they want a real easy one or a real easy one. Shut up. Those three-pointers are hard. So you got one-pointers that are easy and you got three-pointers that are little. So, Sky, are you ready to begin the Dumb Chick Challenge? Do I get to begin this week? Well, first of all, what we do is we let listeners call in and pick which person They want to play for them. Do you want Skye, Ashley, or Rob? P1 Tony is going to play it safe. Tony, who would you like? I'd like to pick the beautiful and lovely Skye. Of course you would. Wow. Of course you would. P1 Manny, are you there? Manny. Manny. Hey, Manny. Manny, who do you want? Rob. Okay.
Oh, no. Just like in dodgeball. Logan. Logan, Ashley is your team. You are playing on Team Ashley. Logan. Oh, no. He finally gave up. He gave up on life. He just hung up on her. It's probably smarter. Logan. Hello? Yes. Hello to you. Please stand behind me, Logan. Logan. Logan, you're on Team Ash. I'm very enthusiastic about that. I can hear it. You sound it. I can hear it. Hang on. Wow. I bet Rob starts. Is Rob starting? Ashley starting. Ashley. Ashley is starting. Yeah, baby. Come on, girl. Rob, are you feeling smart? I watch National Treasure, so I feel like I know some stuff. Wait, that's not. Oh, yeah, dude. I watch National Treasure, Eddie. He's good. Wait, hold on. One or two? Two. I've never seen one. You've watched two before you've seen one? Wait, what? You've got to see one to see two? Well, it helps a little, I mean. No, I totally got it right from the start. Usually you go in order. But there were pre-existing relationships between them. Oh, no, no, no. I figured it out. I know it. I know it. Rob, did you get surgery on your mouth? No, Wednesday. Okay, a couple days.
Don't talk about it. Come on. You're going to be great, dude. What's wrong, sweetie? What's the matter? They're going to cut my mouth open and pull teeth out. They don't just do that, though. They give you something for it. Like a lollipop. I think they give you a lollipop. Oh, no. And a pat on the head. That's right. There you go. Good boy. All right. Ashley, we will start with you. All you have to do is get the five points and you win. So what do you want? Oh, you want a one or a two? Is she okay? Psych yourself up. Or a twee. Give me a twee, please. Oh, wow. I love it. I love it. I love it. I like that she's going for it. This is good. Right. Are you ready, Ashley? You got this. Ashley, your three-point question is, what country is the western tip of Alaska closest to? What country is the western tip of Alaska closest to? Ashley's thinking. It looks like she's doing sign language almost. She's using her hands a lot. She's doing the coordinates. You can see that she's going north, south, and then that's east, and then she's pointing. That's west. Okay. She's looking to the ceiling. She's being very thoughtful. Ash, I'm going to ask you one more time. I will not accept that. I will not accept that. Because she didn't hear it. You got to listen. You got to listen. You got to listen. I did not say state. I'm going to ask you again. I'm going to give you a chance here. What country?
What nation is the western tip of Alaska closest to? Now she's doing it again. She's doing the coordinates again with her hand. She's doing the coordinates. But now she knows country instead. She's going north, south, east. You have to know what country means first. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. All right. There's our country. There's Alaska. There's Alaska. The west of Alaska. What would it be, Ash? China, which is in Asia. And then so you're going to say what? Australia. Very close. Or Asia. One of the two. One of the two. Asia's a continent. Country. I said. What's your problem? Is it Oakland? What? You're unbelievable. I'm so mad at you. You know what? I don't get it. Get over it. What the hell? Yeah, cut. I'm not even tripping. Oh, my God. Dude. It doesn't affect you. You're tripping, boo. You're straight tripping. That's incorrect, Ash. Super close-o.
How do you find your way home every day? The answer, Ashley, is Russia. That's Russia. That's ridiculous. The continent of Russia. Yeah, hello. I thought the question was, where is the crock hunter from? That was unbelievable. Okay. Off to a good start. All right. Boston Rob is up next. The score still tied 0-0. It's a shock. Rob, are you going to go strong? Come on, Riz. Come on, dude. You need to win one. Be smart. She just took a two, right? She took a three. That was a three? Yeah, so come on, you stupid idiot. You fired me up.
Come on, you're in the cage. All right. Oh, no, he was wicked smart in that movie. He was wicked smart, dude. Horrible acting, but he was a genius. You know what? Yeah, I'll go for a three. You guys convince me. All right. All right. No, wait. I thought he wanted... Taking a three. Taking a three. This guy's going to win again. They're going to be here for a while. All right, Rob. Okay. The center of a cell is an area. Come on. Wait a minute. I'm like, don't give me science. Don't give me science. You're giving me science. Before you get upset. I don't know. Will you let him finish the question? But did you hear? He's center of a cell. Will you let him finish the question? Did you hear center of a cell? Australia. All right, Rob. Are we talking like a cell at Los Angeles? Is it like a terrorist cell? All right, Rob. At the center of a cell is an area that holds the DNA. What's that called? What's that area called? Solitary. Solitary. It was where the purple was when I was at this time. Is it the nucleus? That is correct, Rob. There it is. Way to go, Rob. That's an easy one. Really? Yeah.
Everybody learns that. Hey, come on, Squy. Squy is... The threes have been easy. Hey, come on. Skye, look at that. The three-point Skye. I will not let you get in my head and hate. You have known the threes. I have known the threes. How are you going to catch up? Hello? But every time I deviate from the plan... Knock it out of the park. So I would like a two, please. Oh. Sky's plan, 2.2.1. You're basically laying up. And you suck at layups. That's right. You can't do layups. Sky? Yeah? I don't like to say it. It's too easy. This question's easy, and she always does this two-point business. You love that nucleus? Come on. But when they're really easy, she doesn't. Well, nucleus, but yeah. Nucleus. What are you, George Bush? Yeah. Sky? Yeah. I'm going to phrase this question in a way that will really hit home for you. What the heck? What were the black and yellow study guides that claimed to be the quickest way to learn that you used in high school? Oh, it's in there. It's in there. It's right there. It's right. Yeah, it is. Starts with a C. She's flickering her fingers. She's flickering her fingers. She's not doing like. African-American. I believe it's Charlie Brown. This guy's got it. She's pointing her index finger. My first boyfriend. Yes. Got it.
Roman Oban. Cliff Notes. That is correct, Scott. That's not fair. It's too easy. That's way too easy. That's so easy. Ashley, why are you fanning... It's getting hot in here. So take off all your... She's fanning her shirt. She's like, you know, puffing it in. Her armpits sweat a lot. No, no, no. A little bit. A lot. Hot in here. So hot. So take off all your clothes. All right, here's your question. Ash, what do you want? A three-pointer, right? Three-pointer. Okay, well, this is the thing. I've gotten the past two questions right. One was a two, one was a three. I have zero, so Eddie says I should go for a one. All right, you want a one-pointer? Do you want a one-pointer? What do you want? Do you want a one, two, or a three? Get on the board. Remember, you get on the board and then you get confident. There you go.
Well, I'm going to just say one because that's what my base coach is saying. Okay. You want a one? Watch this, guys. She wants a one-pointer. Ash, what is the name of the author that lied about his memoirs and got ripped by Oprah? I've read this book. Hello. James Bray. James Bray. Everybody has scored. Say little pieces, Ash. Little pieces. I love that book. Mike, everybody has scored. Wow. Is this a first? This has been a long time. It's been a long time since. Ashley has one point. Riz has three points. Skye has two points. Yeah, yeah. Rizinator, you can wrap it up right here with a two-point question. Wow. Thank you, National Treasure 2. What are you going to do? I'm going to go with the number two. All right. Your two-point question is. Come on. What animal has the fastest heartbeat? What? Okay.
What animal has the fastest heartbeat? Oh, me driving on a night out at BB. That's true. That is true. Rob? I think something that I blogged about a while back. If you blogged about it. But I'm not sure if they even have hearts. Rob, every animal has a heart. Not all of them. It's snakes. I don't think they have hearts. They do. They do. They have hearts. I think it's a hummingbird. That is correct. Yes. I blogged about those things. A hummingbird. These flaps. Anywhere from 75 to 110 flaps per second. I blogged about that like a month ago. I wondered if anyone in the history of Earth had ever caught one.
Oh, I doubt it. Yeah, never. Never. Have you ever seen one of those? With your hands, right? You can't catch that one. I mean, in general, can you catch those things? They're just guessing that how many beats per second. Oh, man. Good guess of them. Woo! Guess how many? It says here, a hummingbird. Humming. Humming. Hummingbird. Humming. A hummingbird. Their heart beats 1,200 times a minute. Oh, I believe it. Wow. Can you imagine that? wings 75 times per second. Come on, how is that possible? I read it on a Snapple cap. That's true. 35253 is our text. Hello? Who's the man? Uh, Mikey? Hello? Never called in before, but I love your show and you guys rock. Oh, that's awesome. Chris Rock was the victim of a horrible practical joke accusing him of sex with a minor. The Padres sweep the Mets. I can't believe it. Tony Clark hits a pinch-hit three-run home run to give them a win yesterday, 8-6. All right, Sky, I bite. What is that all about? Yeah.
Okay, so Chris Rock is currently on tour in South Africa. Okay. In a comedy tour, you know, in South Africa. Right. And word got back to him that authorities were looking for him to arrest him for sex with a British minor. Who does he get word from? Like his people or something? I guess, yeah. I don't know exactly who he got word from. And so he then went and he contacted the police and they explained to him. that a reality show had hired somebody to pose as a practical court there in South Africa. The police told him that? Yes, to levy these charges against him. So he called the local South African police department, and they're like, oh, it's just a joke. Yeah, in Johannesburg, yeah. They said somebody's trying to play a practical joke on you. A reality show from the United States hired somebody to come down here, pretend they were a prosecutor, to levy these charges against you as a, like, prompt. Do we know which reality show? No, they're not saying, but they did say it's from the United States, a reality show from the United States. How weird. That's hysterical. Yeah. How weird. Yeah, there's some stuff. You don't go there. No, no, no. Getting the force involved. Yeah. That's bizarre. Charlotte. P1 Charlotte is on the line. You there, Charlotte? I am. You had a hummingbird as a pet?
I did. When I was, like, 9 years old, I was walking around the block by my house with a friend, and I saw there was a little bird. It looked dead on the ground. And I picked it up, you know, being curious to the 9-year-old, and I saw it was a hummingbird, and it had, like, broken its wing, and it seemed like it was still alive. So, you know, like any 9-year-old, I took it to my parents' house and was like, hey, we've got to fix this pet. So we gave it sugar water and nursed it back, you know, kind of nursed it back to health. I would take it outside, and I would try and teach it how to fly, and it would kind of flop around my head, and it would come back down to me. I'd take it for walks around the block and put a little cotton ball underneath it so it wouldn't crop on me. That's cool. And I kept it in my bedroom. I just, you know, when I'd go to school, I'd just shut the door, and I had a little bowl full of sugar water and, like, some berries and things I'd gotten from the garden. Were you able to get it back to health so that it was able to fly? Yeah, and I did. I got it back to that point. So I remember the day my mom was like, you need to let your hummingbirds go, which I named her Robin. Weird reason. So I took her out one day to go let her fly, and she was perfectly healed. And she flew up really high, and I was like, that's it, she's gone. And then she flew back down to me, and she wouldn't fly away. No way. Cute.
It was amazing. It was crazy. I think she thought I was her mom because she was like a baby when she got hurt. Wow. That's crazy. And so, well, what happened? So, like, what happened? Well, so she was, I'd always keep her in my bedroom, and one evening I went to go eat dinner, and I left my door open, and our dog got to her. No. After all that? Looks like she wants to die right now. Skye immediately. Oh, you just ruined Skye for the day. I know. I'm still recovering from it. She's buried in my parents' yard. So the dog killed her. Yeah. And it's all your fault. Oh, John. Stop it. Stop it. It was true. Wow. I'm really devastated. Because, I mean, she would fly around me. She wouldn't leave me. Oh, my God. That is unbelievable. Wow. So when did the dog get to when you were nine years old? Yeah, I had her for like three to four weeks, and the dog got her. Oh, you couldn't have been that attached to her. Oh, shut up. Three to four weeks. Well, you know, when I was little, it seemed like it was forever, but my mom's been out. You had her for like a month. Wow. Well, there you go. Thank you for the story. Oh, yeah, thanks. Very uplifting story.
Sean had a pretty big fire next to his house. Sean lives in the Bay Area, and he actually posted video on his blog. Yeah, I watched it. It's crazy, dude. Sean, how far away is that? It was probably, I'd say about maybe 100 yards away, maybe 200 at the most. That's it? Wow. Yeah, it was really close. How did they put it out? We saw smoke earlier in the afternoon, and it kind of looked like a barbecue at first. And then it just got bigger and bigger, and we started hearing a lot of fire engines. So we finally went out there and really looked at it. And it was like there were flames. The flames were probably as tall as a man. And there's a hill behind us, and it was like coming down the hill. And the wind was, like, kicking up. And so it was kind of scary for a minute. There's a lot of, like, dry brush on that hill. But they were able to get, like, the fire trucks up there. And there were, like, they had their guys running around and a lot of hoses. So, you know, they had it under control pretty quickly. But, you know, it's always scary when there's, like, just fire near your home. Absolutely.
If you want to see video of it, go to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com, and you can see video of this fire that started right by Sean's house. He actually videoed it and put it on his blog. On the phone with us right now, Mr. Buzz Aldrin. Buzz, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. How are you? Oh, I'm just fine. It's great to talk to you. I thought I just heard a little dog barking in the background. No, no, not at all. All right. Must be my hearing. I thought I heard a dog barking in the background. That was strange. Buzz, you are one of the few men in the world that can say that you've actually stepped on the moon. Wow. Pretty amazing thing. That's right. Well, there were 12 of us who were privileged to walk on the moon. 24 Americans reached lunar distance.
Between 1968 and 1972, quite a marvelous feat. You were actually the second man to step foot on the moon. The first guy was Neil Armstrong. He was before you. Take us back to that moment and walk us through what that experience was like for you. Well, Neil and I had been on the backup crew for Apollo 8 that flew to the moon in December 1968. That was really a marvelous mission to back up the first flight that actually took three people and orbited the moon. It set the pace by going in the same orbit that we were going to go into three missions later if the lander tested out in Earth orbit. And then on Apollo 10, the lander went to the moon to do a dress rehearsal.
with the crew. And if all those missions were successful, then in July 1969, we were given the opportunity to make an attempt to make a successful landing. And of course, history tells us that we were quite successful, even though we had some computer alarms and were a little bit low on fuel by the time we finally touched down. Buzz, how long did it take to get from Earth to the moon? Well, it takes about three and a half days on a coasting trajectory that leaves the Earth with a good velocity and then coasts the rest of the way. That's the most efficient way and the most savings of fuel. And, of course, even back then, 38 and a half years ago, why fuel was very precious as it is today.
On the moon. Was it a gigantic jolt or was it a soft landing? No, it was a very soft landing. The gravity is one-sixth what the Earth's gravity is. So all of that was taken into account and we had a very good autopilot control system that we could manually direct to just where we wanted to be and then slowly sent down to the surface. This looks amazing. We've been seeing the commercials for it on the Discovery Channel. It's called When We Left Earth, the NASA Missions, and it airs consecutive Sundays. It started yesterday. That's awesome. You saw it, Eddie? Yeah, I watched it. I got to TiVo this. So good, man. June 8th, June 15th, June 22nd, 9 p.m. on the Discovery Channel. We're talking to Buzz Aldrin. Buzz, when you were about to step, onto the surface of the moon, were you more excited or nervous? Calm anticipation and a very alertness to everything that was going on. We had rehearsed these activities to the best of our knowledge. There just was no way to anticipate the visual scene that we saw out the window with the black sky and the horizon curving away.
and the very bright sunlit gray dust, very fine talcum powder of the lunar surface. Did you have a moment standing there on the surface of the moon where you thought to yourself, I can't believe that me, Buzz Aldrin, is actually standing on the surface of the moon right now? A serenity to what we were looking at. It was really like nothing you could ever see here on Earth. The contrast between the black sky and the sunlit moon surface, it was really very, very remarkable. Eddie? Yeah, Mr. Aldrin, you know, watching the documentary yesterday, you know, watching the space race with the Russians and all that stuff, and the Mercury missions, which were the first...
missions that orbit the Earth and stuff like that. If there would have been a catastrophe, a major disaster with the Mercury missions, do you think we would have made it to the moon? I think we would have tried to find out what might have gone wrong. I think we understood an awful lot about what we were doing. It was just the reaction of the human body initially to being in weightlessness, and when we saw that that wasn't a particular problem. Then it was getting a more powerful rocket to be able to put up a spacecraft with two people in it. Then we were able to maneuver that spacecraft so that some of the work that I had studied at MIT on rendezvous, we could actually do in space and join together spacecraft. The computer was able to control the spacecraft for precision landings. two people in space for 14 days, Frank Borman and Jim Lovell. And then we found that we needed very good foot restraints for space walking, and that if we trained delicately underwater and maneuvered around slowly and deliberately, that we could perform the things we needed to outside the spacecraft. And all of those led to the ability to have confidence.
in being able to go to the moon, so we had to test and prove out the lander vehicle in Earth orbit, then lunar orbit, then we were cleared to make a landing. We're talking to Buzz Aldrin, and you can see the story of these NASA missions on the Discovery Channel. Two more weekends, the 15th and the 22nd, 9 o'clock at night. It started last night. It's called When We Left Earth, the NASA missions. I will probably never get the opportunity to ask a question like this again, Mr. Aldrin, so I want to ask you this. When you're standing on the moon and you're looking off, you can see Earth from where you're standing. Is that correct? Well, where we landed on the moon was... not too far from the center of the... Look at it from Earth. So you'd have to look almost straight up to see the Earth standing on the surface of the moon, and that was rather hard to do, the spacecraft and the visor and the helmet. But we could see the Earth, and, of course, it was pretty small looking up there in the sky, even though from the moon the Earth is four times bigger than...
Then the moon looks from the earth. Whoa. Dang. Unreal. Mr. Aldrin, did this give you that visual? Did it give you any thoughts on God or creation or seeing that kind of thing with your own eyes from there? Did it give you any perspective on that or no? Well, we trained on this for quite a while and could tell what the scenery was. going to be like if things were successful. So I think each individual person had slightly different reactions. I don't think I particularly changed my outlook or concepts as the result of the flight itself. I did feel that it was appropriate to give thanks in some way, so that's why I...
To myself, served myself communion while I was on the moon. I didn't know that. I've changed my outlooks quite a bit since then to a much more universal concept of spirituality and religion. Mr. Aldrin, were you allowed to keep a memento? Well, we took along items of personal preference in a separate kit. And then when we came back, we kept certain things from inside the spacecraft for our personal ownership, yes. So you are able to have something that you actually collected from the moon. Well, no, that's not really true. The samples, the moon samples, belonged to the government. They belonged to the common heritage of man. Based on treaties. So that certainly was not something that we could claim any ownership of. We were in quarantine because there might be some germs on the moon and they might be hazardous to human beings. Can you imagine? No. That is just. Spread that around. That's amazing.
That's unbelievable. We're talking to Buzz Aldrin. Mr. Aldrin, why do you think that we have not gone back to the moon? We only had the resources to build a certain number of rockets and spacecraft, and we built those and funded those in the years leading up to the first landing. So we had only budgeted for so many, and we hopefully would be able to land at least once successfully. And since we were able to land actually six times in the various missions that went to the moon, we decided it was time to move on and save some of our resources Space Station worked with Skylab, which we did in 1973 and 74. Then we did a joint mission with the Russians, Apollo-Soyuz, 1975. But we had been designing the space shuttle back in 1970 and 71, and it took us a good long time to perfect that, so we didn't actually start flying the space shuttle until 1981.
rather inexcusably unable to send any Americans into orbit. So it's just money. It's a matter of dough. It's a matter of money. It's very regrettable. Unfortunately, as we transition from the space shuttle and the space station back to an exploration program with more capable spacecraft and instruments and sensors. to be able to eventually gradually build up a permanent occupancy on Mars, hopefully. Do you think that'll happen, Mr. Aldrin? Well, I sure think that we shouldn't just go to Mars once, twice, or three times and then say, well, we know how to do that. I think it's a reasonable place to set up an off-Earth colonization. so that we can learn more about living on another object and potentially be able to survive any catastrophe that could happen here on Earth. Wow. Dang. Whoa. I can't imagine people living on Mars, you know? I mean, total recall. Yeah, it'd be like total recall. I would think that people would be too attached to the beautiful things that we have here on Earth. Well...
There's a pioneering spirit, and I really don't think there's going to be a shortage of enlisting people, recruiting people. Yeah, I bet you're right. I'm the first colonists on Mars. Yeah, I agree. I think you're right. There's always people that would probably love it. It's so expensive to train a person and then send them to Mars, and we really need more than five or six people there at any one time to be able to live off the land. and take care of the resources, mine the materials and produce the oxygen and grow the food that's needed to subsist. If we make a commitment to go to Mars, I think it's going to involve some long, long tours of duty for some people just to get the most out of the resources and the investment that we make. There you go. Thank you very much. This is Buzz Aldrin. And you can see when we left Earth, the NASA missions, it airs this coming up Sunday and the Sunday after that, the 15th and the 22nd, 9 o'clock at night on the Discovery Channel. Mr. Aldrin, thank you for taking the time. Thank you. It's nice to talk to you about those years of establishing leadership. I think we have to work real hard to maintain the leadership that we've established in space activities and exploration.
Thank you very much. I appreciate your time, Mr. Aldrin. Thank you. We'll see you. Awesome. Wow, dude. Awesome. Living on Mars. Guy was on the moon. Yeah. I don't want to live on Mars. The surface is like a talcum powder surface. That's crazy. That's crazy. When you sink? Huh? Well, no, I mean, it's solid, but it has a layer of fine mist. And don't you, like, float in space? Well, basically, Lacey Peterson's parents were in court on Friday and filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Scott Peterson. And so on Friday, the judge ruled that Scott will have to stand trial in a civil suit. Really? He has until about the end of this month to appeal.
which I'm sure he probably will, but if for some reason he doesn't appeal and there's no snags, then the trial will start July 8th. Let's see. Spike Lee and Clint Eastwood are in a war of words over African Americans in World War II. Uh-oh. Yeah, this is crazy. Okay. So we all know that Clint Eastwood did the two World War II pictures, Flags of Our Fathers, Letters from Hiroshima. Well, I guess in the movies, there's no depiction of African-American soldiers in World War II and their role there. So Spike Lee had made his own movie about World War II, which is coming out, and it's about the African-Americans and them fighting in a U.S. division in Italy. So he's been out promoting this movie. And he started talking smack about Clint Eastwood saying how there was not one black soldier in both of his films. And then Eastwood fired back saying about Spike Lee, has he ever studied history and admits that there were black troops in World War II, but they weren't the ones who raised the flag. Niwo Jima. So then Spike Lee goes on talking about... What, you trying to say I'm stupid?
Is that what you're trying to say, Clint? Basically. On the second one, The Letters from Iwo Jima, there was no white people in that movie either. It was all about the perspective of the Japanese. So what you're saying, I'm stupid? Yeah. Right? Okay. Maybe I am. Yeah, so then Spike Lee says, first of all, the man is not my father, and we're not on a plantation. Oh, this is after Clint Eastwood says that Spike Lee should shut his face. And then Spike Lee says, you know, he's not my father. We're not on a plantation either. He's a great director. He makes films. I make films. The thing about it, though, is I didn't ever. His are good. Yeah. And generally, you know, win Academy Awards. Right. He says, the thing is, I didn't personally attack him. And the comment like, a guy should shut his face. Come on, Clint. He sounds like an angry old man. Well, he is. He'd probably admit that to you. He'd probably say, hey, listen, I'm an angry old man. He is. Shutting faces and angry old men. He doesn't need to tell him to shut his face. But listen, if Spike's going to say, how come there's no black people in those movies? Clint has every right to say, because there wasn't any black people in the story that I'm telling.
But I think where Spike Lee, you know, gets upset is when he tells him to shut his face. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's the part he doesn't appreciate. Take it like a man. Stop crying. Well, I mean, listen. Keep on the production of Crooklyn 2. I'll say this. I'll say that, yeah, sure. Clint Eastwood shouldn't say shut your face, but it doesn't have anything to do with being racist. What's this plantation business? Spike Lee. I don't need to be racist to tell you to shut your face. Well, a white man giving him orders, I think. Oh, please. I'm not your sister. Cracker Jack. So you can only be black to tell him to shut his face. Right. If you're not black and you told that, then you're clearly racist. Our phone number here is 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. Carrie Underwood says that she does not consider herself sexy. No, she does not. She did an interview with Cosmo magazine where she says, quote, I don't consider myself sexy. I'm kind of a nervous person in general. I'm socially awkward.
I'm not tall and sensuous. I usually wear sweats everywhere I go. Oh, and I burp a lot. Oh. You know, we don't need to know that, though. We didn't need to talk. That's the other line. My gosh, always Kelly Underwood. Kelly Underwood? Are you sure? Yes, it is. It's me calling in because I heard Scott talking about the story about how I don't consider myself pretty. Yeah. Not sexy. I don't. Oh, no. But you're gorgeous. You're unbelievable. I don't consider myself sexy. Why? You definitely don't sound sexy. That's for sure. This voice, no. It's different the way I speak than the way I speak. Everybody knows that. No. You know, Carrie Underwood. I'm sitting at the Target store right now having a hot dog inside their cafeteria area that they have right there when you're leaving the store. Why would you do that? I was hungry.
And I stopped over here and I was having the hot dog and I was listening to my iPod with the radio on it. Oh. And I heard Scott mention this fact about me not being sexy, but I'm working on it. And I have a feeling that by the time the Sadie Hawkins death takes place in September, not only am I going to be asked, but I'm going to lose a little bit of weight. I'm going to look great in my dress. And I'm also going to win Miss SMA. Carrie. Miss Sadie Hawkins. I will be Miss, I predict. I will be Miss FFA by the end of the summer time. Carrie, I have some issues. First of all, you're not in high school anymore. And second of all, the Sadie Hawkins, the girl asked the boy. So I don't know who you're expecting to ask. What is going on? That's not good. No, you're going to have to ask someone. Why are you talking like that? Sadie, are you available to say that? Aw, that's sweet. I am busy. I care for you, Carrie Underwood. That was Carrie Underwood calling in. That is so sweet about her. I think she's very sexy. Very pretty girl. Donnie Wahlberg wanted his son's metal band to open for New Kids on the Block. And his son said no. His son. His son said no. Not the rest of the guys in NKOTB.
His son said, no, thank you. Yeah, his son Xavier is 15 years old and is in a death metal band and said, yeah, Dad, thanks for the offer, but I think it would totally ruin our reputation to open for NKOTV on their reunion tour. Wow. Sorry. Sorry, Dad. So Coldplay has a new album coming out, and it got leaked on the intranet. Yep, on the World Wide Web. On the WW? Yeah. And so they decided to put it on their FaceSpace page or whatever it is there. Oh, they buffed it up. Yep, they put it on their MyBlog. They're MySpace. They're my friends. No, it's MySpace. It's actually pronounced MySpace. So now if you go there, you can hear the whole album. Yeah, it's now streaming, and it comes out a week from tomorrow. I guess they had to, right? Because they're like, well, it's already out there. Yeah, what are they going to do if it's all over the web already? Awesome! I don't get it. So it's leaked, so they put it all out there? Well, now they did after it was leaked and it was all over the place anyway. So they figured, well, you know, hopefully people will just come to our page and stream it from our page. I have thoughts on that. I think it may be an issue of quality. Like they go, you know, if it leaks on the internet, it's probably like, you know, a real shabby.
And they're like, well, if it's going to be out there, then we might as well put it out there in a really good sounding, you know, way. They can't wait a week until we can buy it? Yeah, I mean, nobody would even know. Yeah. Like, who would even know about the... Maybe they're like, well, I don't want people to... I don't want people to hear it. I don't want people to hear it and tink to themselves, you know. And then not buy it? Gwyneth Paltrow's idea. It was. Apple. It was Apple's idea. And Moses. It was Apple and Moses. Moses moseyed into the room just last night. And he said, why don't you put it on your FaceSpace page? Robbie Knievel jumped 21 Hummers. That's a lot. It's a lot of them. Yeah, I went down in Fort Worth, Texas. Did he crash? Did he break anything? No, he did not. Who cares? I mean, that's what it's all about. He's just saying what we're all thinking. That's what we want to see. You know, we're like, ah, he might not make it. He made it. Oh, I hope he gets close to death. Yeah. That's what everybody watches those things. They want to see the crazy stuff happen. I think so. This is kind of sad. Cut three. Banning the Globe.
There it is. There it is. That's Jim McKay. He passed away. Yeah, he died Saturday of natural causes on his farm in Maryland. Who doesn't want that, man? Thank you. He was 86 years old. 86? I'll take it. Did he, like, die in his sleep? They don't say. All they say is natural causes. Seriously, like, isn't that anybody's, like, wish, right? For sure. Is to just go to sleep. I mean, that would be the greatest. Mike Huckabee used the Heimlich Maneuver at the North Carolina Republican Party Convention. How great is that? Sky will have details after this, and that is not a joke. They weren't even joking. That's right. Mikey. Great show, everybody. Great show. Can I just say thank goodness for the new Quiznos delivery? A fatality accident that's there this morning has investigators still on the scene, so we expect some delays and possible traffic control around that area. Other than that, though, things are looking pretty good, man. Both the 5.85 growth pound out of the South Bay moving right along. 805 does bunch up the water. Kearney Mesa heading up over to 52. You did not. Come on. This guy just gave me a look like, what? Now she's looking at him. Like, what are you talking about, liar head? Like with scissors? Yeah. No, with toenails. My brother chewed it off. Yes. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Welcome back. It's 840. Jessica Alba gave birth to a baby girl yesterday named Honor Marie. Okay. Big Brown seems okay after losing the Belmont and the Triple Crown on Saturday. His jockey says that, you know, Big Brown didn't have what it took. Ken, tell us what happened. He was keen to go on early. I just wanted to assume he slipped again. He breaks so hard.
Okay, I have a sitcom idea. Are you ready? I have a sitcom idea I'd like to pitch. Sean is 6'6", 320. Sean is roommates with a jockey. And the whole sitcom is about different situations that they get into going around together. I like it. You know? Is Sean in training to be a jockey as well? Yes. Oh, dude, that's it. And I ride like those big Budweiser stallions, or those Clydesdales. Yeah, Clydesdales. Can you imagine? Sean's roommate is 4'11", 86 pounds. Rob's height. You know, yeah, exactly. A little taller, but... Let's see. Here's some of the text messages that we're getting. Mikey, why is it that in all the moon videos, the American flag never moves, but everyone is bouncing around with no gravity? That's P1 Plummer. Here we go. It's a great point, Mike. Well, Skye, you know what this is about, don't you? Yep. It's all done on soundstage, bro. Conspiracy theories? No way. Conspiracy theory out there that the lunar landing happened at a...
Hotel near Beverly Hills. No way. That they staged the whole thing. Come on. We don't know. Mikey, I don't think Buzz ever went to the moon or walked on it. It's all a cover-up and I can prove it. It's terrible that this old man is lying for his country. Mikey, I don't think Buzz ever landed on the moon. It's all a cover-up. Can't you tell that he's lying? I know they're lying. Is that the same guy saying the same thing? No, that was a different phone number. Totally different. I bet it's the same person from two different numbers. That's my conspiracy theory. Mikey, he's lying. Nobody walked on the moon. Ask him about Area 51. That's right. I'm going to call Charlie Sheen, and I'm going to try to get this whole thing straightened out. That makes me so mad. Well, conspiracy theorists are kooky. I think it's kind of kooky. Sky has the box office totals. I sure do, Mike. What happened? All right, number three this weekend. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull making $22.8 million. Number two. I really want to see that movie. I really do. I know. It's good. When do I have time? I've got to watch Lawyers and the Real Girls, Sky. That's right. I've got work to do. Priorities. I've got work to do. Number two, You Don't Mess with the Zohan making $40 million. Is that that Adam Sandler deal? Yeah. Come on.
Coming in number two. It looks good. Oh, Sean. You don't think that it looks good. I actually do. I was at the theater this weekend, and they had this whole line set up for the Zohan movie with the showtimes and everything. I guess they thought they were going to have crazy lines. Not one person in that line. Not one. You've got to be kidding me. I was like, holy cow. Cut 42. What would you think if I tell you I want to leave in the army, start a new life? Why would you do that? You are good at it. It's steady pay. You can't leave. You're one of their best. Besides, you are too old to take a risk. Stay in the army. Play it safe. That's a comedy. That's a comedy. That's a comedy. For sure. He, like, fights, I think, for the, like, Iraqi army. Israeli army. Oh, Israeli, my bad. What's wrong with those accents? You can tell. What's the difference? Oh, God. Cut 40.
We wrote this movie like seven, eight years ago, but the timing's never been right. You know, worldwide. But we wrote it during 9-11. Stuff's always been going on that made us go, ah, we shouldn't do this movie. Finally, we said it's going to happen no matter what, it seems. There's always going to be fighting going on in the Middle East. And maybe this movie's a good thing to do and make light of it, so you can at least have a laugh and try to relax the situation a little bit. Who knows? What do you think, America? It sounds like it was really good. Wow. And then the number one movie this weekend was Kung Fu Panda. Oh, Eddie. Eddie has seen Kung Fu Panda. Of course I have. He made sure to go to the premiere. That's right. Eddie went to the premiere of Kung Fu Panda. It stars Dustin Hoffman, Jack Black. Who else is in that, Eddie? Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen. Angelina Jolie. Ah, yes. Was it good? Did you like it? That's all right. Yeah. So that was a number one movie. Yep. You know who Chris Brown is, right? Dating Rihanna. Well, he'd like to clear that up. Cut four. That sounds like he's dating Rihanna. Wow. They have matching tattoos. They make out. They buy each other expensive gifts. Please. He's real young, right? Yes. He's like 19. Idiot. Something like that? I don't know. I think Rihanna is 19. Isn't he like 12 or something? I think he might be 18 is my guess. Well, I guess it's really big news or something. They're both two huge stars right now in the music industry. Hey, check this out. Did you guys hear about this guy that got to play in a celebrity foursome at the U.S. Open? You hear about this? Was she wearing any jewelry of any kind? What type of lip gloss did she have? Did she check her bag or carry on? I don't know. What was on her fingers? I don't know. Was she on the phone or not? Was she chewing gum?
Did she order Starbucks? What did she order there? I don't know. Tell us what she did. Whip or no whip? Please. Where are the pictures that you took? I wasn't there. Did you take the photographs? Did you blog them? No, so you forgot your camera. I wasn't there. Way to go. I just read about it. Oh, you didn't even show up. Oh, wow. Did she have a piece of hay sticking out of her mouth? Yes, that was. That was confirmed. That was actually confirmed. So Matt Lauer, Tony Romo, and Justin Timberlake. Oh, bam. Yep. That's pretty cool. Yeah, very cool prize for that guy. Why is Matt Lauer in that group? That's a good question. That's really weird. Well, I guess these are celebrities who they say are really good at golf. For real? Yeah. No, come on. For real? Oh, yeah, yeah. Justin Timberlake. JT's like a good golfer? Yeah, that's what they say. Oh. Oh, isn't he just good at everything? Isn't he just Mr. America? He can't do anything wrong. Good job, Stan. Oh, I've seen him dance. Oh, look at me. Oh, you can sing. Oh, you can act. Oh, look at me. When's that guy going to make another album? Oh, please. Let me break.
I'm just finding out about Chris Brown, though. What do I know? I don't know. Let's see. Oh, we have audio, this guy, by the way. His name is... Well, wait a minute. This is his friends talking about how much he's loving it. Cut 53. In the grand scheme of things, he's put in perspective and is really enjoying it. And he's having a lot of fun and hope he'll do the best today. And, you know, just to know that, you know, he's an average guy and so is everybody else. That's cool. So Ryan Felipe is going out in public with the woman that he's accused of cheating on Reese Witherspoon with. Oh! Yeah. That doesn't mean anything. I mean, he could be dating this girl. He likes her. Cheated on Reese Witherspoon with her. Well, they were filming a movie together at the time of his divorce with Reese, and there were many rumors of the two of them having a little extra on-set chemistry. Rumors, Guy. I don't know. It's all rumors. It's called practice, Guy. You've got to practice. How do you know? They weren't practicing. Could have been acting. Could have been acting. They could have been rehearsing. This is the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I think I have an issue with numbers and letters. Read them. I really do. Eddie. I have my knowledge in my head. He's the Oracle. I don't need notes, Skye. When my hands become saturated in water, the palms get like... They're disgusting. They look like a frog. Sean. Most of you listening right now, I don't like you. I don't like you very much. Boston Rob. Do you guys know that if I don't write stuff on my hand, I'm an idiot? And Ashley. Just because I like oyster stuffing does not mean that I am an oyster. You keep saying it, oyster, but you know the real deal. The Mikey Show's on. Top of the morning to ya. Rock 105.3. It's a Mikey show. It's 9-0-4. Well, this is nothing new to us here in San Diego, but gas has hit a national average of $4 a gallon. Boston has now got a two-game lead over the Lakers, winning last night 108-102, but almost blew a huge lead. This is a true story, and it has to do with a hummingbird story. This is a true story from my friend Harold. When I was seven years old, I found a fawn with a broken leg.
I carried him home. I took an old broom to use as a splint. He struggled for some time being so young. I had to feed him with a bottle for three months. But he learned to walk again. One month of helping him, I got him to the point where he could do it on his own. I finally decided it was time to let him go. And I did. And he ran off and I watched him run down to the stream. And as he... Crossed the road. He was run over by a truck. What the hell? That is so sad. That is so sad. It is sad. Harold, by the way, has told me this story. He had named the fawn Lucky. That one got sky. That part got sky. Because he was lucky that he found him and then could have jinxed him. Could have jinxed him. In Germany,
A SWAT team accidentally broke up a music video shoot. Yeah, they got calls from, you know, people in the area saying that they believed there was, you know, a gun battle going on in their neighborhood. They heard a lot of gunfire. It could have been the squat team that came in there, which would have been way worse in Germany. Yeah, so when the squat team showed up. Sean. Sean. I said Sean. You knew it was coming. Yeah, and I was proactive. I go. Sean! Right, I thought that was my cue. You're such an idiot. When the SWAT team got there, they discovered nine guys with fake guns and clear bags filled with flour being used as props. Rob. Dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. We're going to be doing P1 trivia here in just a second. Mike Huckabee used the Heimlich maneuver at the North Carolina Republican Party convention.
The guy who was the Republican candidate for lieutenant governor started choking during the luncheon, and he got right up, ran behind the dude, and gave him the Heimlich. That's right. And whatever was stuck in his, whatever, popped out, and he's good. How hysterical is it that that thing really works, man? Oh, yeah, it does. You push up on their stomach. You go, is that what it is, Ash? Is that what you say when you do the Heimlich? It's another deal. It's another D&D reference, and you've never seen the movie, so I'll get about it. Can you do that in the movie? He's resisting me! It's a lot easier if you just lay back. Ashley loves that movie. I mean... Ash, is it your favorite movie? It is my favorite movie of all time. Australia is right by Alaska. but can quote Dumb and Dumber verbatim. Australia. Pills are good. Pills are good. Gonna put a little shrimp on the barbie. Another. Good day, mate. Good day, mate. Gonna put another shrimp on the barbie. Well said. We're crazy.
Ladies and gentlemen, two females will be playing. Can you believe that? That's amazing. That's crazy. P1 Abby Lou, how are you? I'm doing very good. I am very glad to talk to you. It's nice to have a female playing on P1 Trivia for a change we never do. I'm going to try. I'm going to try. I'm going to do my best. How long have you been listening, Abby Lou? About a year and a half now. Good. You can do it. I can do it. You can do it. You go, girl. How old are you? I am 24. And why do you go by Abby Lou instead of Abby? Did your parents want you to go, you know, that's why they gave you that middle name? They wanted you to be Abby Lou? My name, I don't really like Abby that much. My friends call me, my middle name is Louise. So instead of calling me the Lou, because that's a...
That's a bathroom in England. Yeah, that's weird. It's Abby Lou, and they extend Lou. Abby Lou. Very sweet, very sweet. Well said. Let's talk to your competitor. P1 Babe is on the line. Hey, babe. Hi, guys. Hey, babe. Hey, babe. Hey, babe. Hey, babe. How old are you, babe? I'm 24. There you go. And how long have you been listening? Two years, about two years. All right, well, you got a little bit of an edge on Abby Lou. Yeah, you're going down, Abby Lou. Oh, wow. Is that from a movie? Is that from a movie? She's just writing everything. That's what we do. Okay, so here is the deal. We play P1 Trivia just like the DCC. Let's play just like the Dumb Chick Challenge. You've got to get the five points. You've got one, two, and three-point questions. Ones are easy. Threes are harder. And you've got to be a big fan of the Mikey Show because all these questions are Mikey Show related. Let's start with you, Abby Lou. What do you want, a one, two, or three? I'm going to go to Sky's route. I'm going to do a two. You're going to do a two-point. Oh, wow. This is the weirdest. I've never asked this question. It's the first question, and it's always on here. I've never asked it. It says, who on the show has a merce or a man purse? And the answer is me. I don't have a merce, though. So I don't know who.
Is that a question, or is that a Bob, Boston Bob? Hey, Bobby. Bobby, did you write that? I think there was a while ago, like a year ago, when we were making fun of you for having a MRS. Because your computer bag. My computer bag. So it probably was relevant back then, but you kept skipping over it. I think we all thought it was your Merce because it had your name on it. Your initials engraved in it. So we thought. All right. Mass special made Merce for you. But I guess not. It's very pretty. It really complements your height. I know. These people are your friends. They are. They are. And I try to remember that as I cry inwardly. Okay. Abby Lou, your two-point question is. What did B-Rob have to do with Ashley because he lost in bocce ball and horseshoes to Eddie? She had to be her slave, right? No, no, no. It was the bicycle thing. You are correct. That was nerve-wracking.
Had to ride a tandem bike. Oh, that was fun. Oh, yeah. Oh, my God. Not so much. Rob didn't like it very much. All right. I don't know why. He just sat back and rode the entire time. What are you talking about? All right. Question for you, babe. Give me a tweet, please. You want a three-pointer? A tweet? Oh, no. Hey, babe. You want a three-pointer? Yes, I do. All right. Your three-point question is? What member of the show is in the middle of a home landscaping project? Sky. That is correct. That was easy. Way easy. All I got to do is read her blog once. Built veggie beds yesterday. Okay, enough. They're not quite complete yet. Oh, that sounds fun. What did you do? Took a bunch of wood. Just read her book and find out. Yeah, we're building veggie beds so we can grow our own organic produce. Thank you. That's awesome. Thank you. Just got a book on that, Skye. Oh, is it the Vegetable Diary or whatever? It's organic. We already got it.
I got... Or is it the one on citrus trees? Okay, can we do this contest or what? I got organic vegetable gardening for dummies. We'll have to swap. Right in the middle of the game. Have you talked to ZZ upstairs? No, I haven't. Got to talk to ZZ. Yeah, the bunny who's pretty diverse in all this as well. Is there a way to change the channel? ZZ's great, though. I mean, you're on the show. The bunny who's pretty great, too. Guys got a lot of experience growing organic. So does Bunny, too. Sky, we're not talking marijuana here. We're talking carrots and onions. It all applies. What's up with DSC right now? All right, fine. Merce Man. Whatever. Whatever. All right, it's three to two, right? Yep. Back to you, Abby Lou. And more of it. And you can win right here if you wanted a three-pointer, or you can go the easy route and go a two. I don't know. Should I try to shut it down at three? Shut it down, Mama. I'm not going to give you. You want a three? I thought you were doing sky strategy. Oh, no. What happened? Give her a tweet, please. Typical sky strategy. I believe in her. Hey. I'm trying. I'm trying. No, it's cool, girl. Good luck. Here is your three-point question. One of my brothers has a business in the food industry. What's the name of the business? Oh, my God. I know this one. I know this one. Oh, my God.
Oh, it's on the top of my tongue. Drink it out. Breathe. Breathe. Breathe. Take a pen off your nose. Yeah, breathe like this. Take your headphones off. These things help me. Oh, man. Breathe. I want you to breathe like this. Are you ready? Yes. I tried. I tried. God, I don't. Abby Lou, come on. I need an answer. Starburst. No. Owns Starbucks? Owns Starbucks. Wow. Babe wants to answer. Babe, go ahead. Hey, babe. It's Rockstar Hot Dogs. That is correct. Wow. It is Rockstar Hot Dogs. It is Rockstar Hot Dogs. And sorry about that, Abby Lou. Oh, Abby Lou. That means that Babe can close it out right here. Oh, wow. Babe, you want your two-pointer? Yes, I do. Can you please name a character trait about Barbara, who calls in occasionally?
Barbara, she slurs. That is correct. Good job, babe. Abby Lou, you come in, too. Abby Lou, that'll pass to you. Abby Lou, I hope you get the flu. It's all gay. All the way. The Mikey Show is on. Thank you. Catch the Padres in high definition on Channel 704. An exclusive service of cable television. Al Smith, inventor of Robbins Brothers MSID Diamond. Just want to do something special. Welcome back. It is 9-24. The animated movie Kung Fu Panda was the number one movie this weekend, making $60 million. Rafael Nadal continues his dominance in France, winning the French Open with ease over Roger Federer. You guys know my friend Chris that baptized me? That dude was telling this story about how he jumped on a palm... Okay, he was cutting this palm tree in his backyard.
and there's these big, giant, you know, spiky things that come out of it. And so he's cutting them, and he was, like, on this little hill. So he was cutting them barefoot. Oh, not smart. Right. Cutting them barefoot, tossing them, you know, over. Well, he cuts one, and it starts to fall directly towards his foot. No, Mike. So what do you do? You got a choice. What do you do? You jump out of the way. Yeah. So he jumped out of the way. Into the pile that he had just been piling up. And it went into his big toe and snapped off. And so he thought he had it, but it was hurting really, really bad. And so he went to the doctor and the doctor numbed it. Num, num, num, num, num, num. Don't do that. He numbed it. And then he went.
Excavating. Dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig. Couldn't find it. And he said, listen, if I keep doing this, I'm going to give you tissue damage because I've dug up your foot. And so he goes, he goes, but it's in there. I'm telling you, I can feel it in my toe. It's there. Please get it out. And so he goes, the doctor says, I can't continue to dig in your toe. I have to stop. So he said, and he said, I think he said to him, I think I got it anyway. So he says that he'd be walking around and every once in a while he'd just be like, because the pain would just like. So him and his wife are on a vacation and they're staying at a hotel. And one night he gets up, he walks in the bathroom and he looks down. No, Mike, don't say it. And right where your big toe.
Okay, this is your foot, right? Yeah. Right where your big toe does this. The, like, knuckle. The joint, the knuckle. Yeah. It had gone in so far that the tip, the very little black, tiny little, little, was poking out of the skin right here. And so he was like, he woke his wife up. Yeah. And he just, he grabbed onto it and he started pulling. And pulling. He showed it to me. Shut up. It was an inch long. It's so gnarly. It's so gnarly. And the doctor couldn't find it. Because it had gone in so far. Are you kidding? It had gone in so far. And I don't know what the body does. The body's weird. Like when something breaks off, I think the body kind of like. Tries to push it out. Yeah. You know, but I mean, it will. I'm sure it was swollen. Yeah. All that stuff. And it did. It eventually pushed it out. The top. The top of the neck. And so he. Check it out, though. Because when you go like that. What?
Every time he would do something just in the right place, it would... Yeah. That happened to me. It did? No. See the scar on my finger right here? Yeah. When I worked at McDonald's when I was a kid, I was... We had this crazy contraption. Our freezer was downstairs. And so when we'd get the food, we'd have to go... There'd be a person up top that would get the frozen meats and stuff. send it down this little rolling thing, and there was a wooden catch. Like if the person didn't get it at the bottom, it would hit this wooden thing so it wouldn't go flying. Well, I was at the bottom, and I was catching them, and I was doing this thing, and I wasn't really paying attention. And somehow my hand got caught on one of the boxes, and it slammed into the wooden thing and threw it. And I pulled my hand out, and I had a giant piece of wood sticking out of my finger. And so, you know, I yanked it out of there and I'm like, oh, I think I got it all, but I wasn't sure. Well, it swole, you know, got really swollen, really gigantic. And all of a sudden I feel like this weird thing in my finger. And then it started clicking against the bone. Oh, dude. And so I had to perform surgery on myself when I got home. With what?
Yeah, you're a doctor, so it probably wasn't that hard. It went right into your OR at home. That's right. I just got some peroxide. I got some scrub up beforehand. You gotta, right? You have to. Some fingernail clippers. Who did the anesthesia? Myself. You performed your own anesthesia. So you put yourself out. How is that? It was really impressive. I'm sure the tweezers were totally clean. I'm sure they were too. Did you do anything to the tweezers to prepare them? Well, I had peroxide. I stuck them over a match. I had peroxide, so I probably did. Just pour that over everything. Yeah, pour it peroxide. You got it out? Yeah. Was it big? It was about that big. Oh, that's gnarly. How big? About an inch. I still have a scar from it. Oh, no, thank you. And I also one time. Oh, no. We were living at the house in Del Cero. Yeah. I was chasing our roommate, Monet, around the house because she made me mad. Oh, Monet. And we ran outside the house down the street on Marjoram, and I was in socks chasing her. That's a bad idea. And we went to the pavement, and I slipped and completely, you know, like road rash all on my knee. And, you know, I was picking pebbles and gravel out of my knee. Yeah. Well, literally a year.
Like, I always felt like I had something in my knee. Oh, gross. And I was like, I could feel something kind of hard in there. And a year later, like, my body pushed out a piece of gravel from my knee. A year? A year later. Oh, my gosh. How is the gravel able to be in your knee and survive and not make you, like, it's so weird. And it happens, man. People will carry stuff in their bodies forever. Yeah. For a long time. People that have been shot before, their bullets just sometimes they stay in there. Yeah. Because they can't get them. I have a pair of gold handcuffs in my calf, in the inside of my calf. I don't want to know why. I don't want to know why. Yeah. I don't need to know that. I have a pair of iron bifocals in my liver, inside my liver. I have to get there. And what else? I think that's it. Iron Man's got stuff in him. I have an Asian man under my cuticles. What's he made of? What? Asian man, what is he made of? He's an actual Asian man. He got caught under there. Just because he's a different race, Mike, he's still a human. I thought maybe flesh and bone. My dad had Willie Nelson stuck in his beard. How many times, right? He won Johnny.
Hey, you know those date palm thorns are really gnarly. I was trimming one once with a chainsaw, and sometimes... Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Stop. What are they called? It's a date palm. It's a Phoenix Canary Island date palm, and they have those thorns that your buddy got out. Yeah, yeah, the date palm. They should outlaw those. If you cut those things with a chainsaw, sometimes it'll grab that thorn and shoot it, like, down at your feet or your... Oh, good. I just got right into my finger, and I've had them before. So I was like, oh, my God. I couldn't see them. Just like your buddy said, it was broken. Well, he said, too, that they got some kind of venom in them or something. Yeah, it's a palmatic acid, and it reacts with your skin. It actually freezes your muscles up so they can't move. Oh, for goodness sake. They're really bad. Anyway, this thing was stuck in my finger, and I go, oh, no, I have to go to the doctor because I had them pulled before. And I looked. And I looked on the other side of my finger and it was sticking out. Oh. I was so happy because I could grab it with a pair of pliers and pull it out. Wow. Dude. Wow. He was happy. That is crazy. If you get one of those in your body for any length of time, it is a nightmare. That's nuts. Yeah. Anyway. Thank you for the call. Thank you for the call. Let's see. P1.
Dog bait is on the line. Yes, sir. What did you get stuck in you? I had dropped a pane of glass about, I was carrying a pane of glass about 12 years ago, and we dropped it, and a piece of it shot into my shin. And about a month ago, I felt something sharp on my shin, and there was more of that glass coming out. How long ago? 12 years. Oh! Crazy. About five years ago, I got a Shania Twain song stuck in my head. Yeah. Can you get it out? I still haven't got it out. Still stuck. Still stuck in my head. I would get a pair of pliers, dude. So good, though. I have been there. Yuck. Mikey, I fell on a cactus ten years ago and had to push myself out with my right hand to this day every few months.
I'll pull out another cactus. Come on. Mikey, my brother has a 22 round in his shin. And when you put a magnet to it, it lifts his skin off the bone. That is awesome. How rad is that? I love that. You would love to see it, Sky. You would pay good, solid money to see it. Top dollar. Top dollar to see it. Top dollar. You would second mortgage your house to see it. I would not. P1 Mike is on the line. Yeah, this is P1 Mike. I know. Yeah, sorry about that. What's up? Sorry, I'm at work right now. Go ahead. It's all right. I'm just kidding. My buddy from back in the day, this was back when I was in my teens, he was involved in a gang shooting and he was shot. With a shotgun a few times in the back of the head. A few times? Wait, wait, wait. It was from a distance. He was running. And the guys who sprayed him, they shot him from a distance. So it wasn't really close. So it wouldn't take a limb off. But it definitely left some shots at him. Right. And we were in the mall about a year later just hanging out. Him and my cousin and I were just talking. And he started coughing. And his eyes got real watery. And he just started coughing into his hand. And he showed us his hand. And he had.
pellets in his hand. No way. What? The shots were lodged in the back of his neck, and there were still a bunch of buck shots in his stomach. He had to open his stomach up and remove a bunch of the pellets, but he actually was coughing it up out of his system. No. Yeah. That is crazy. That's crazy. It was gnarly. It was gnarly. Hey, call us if you have stuff in you. I don't like it. Literally. Yeah. That's the craziest thing I've ever heard. 570-1053. to get paranoid because I have this bump on my leg that feels... Like a staple. It's like in the middle of my... It could be your brain. Yeah. It could be. And it's like this little tiny like pearl thing. Oh, there it is. And I always feel it. I lost a dirt devil in my belly button one time. I coughed it up. I coughed it up. I was trying to get the lint out. P1 Big Mike's on the line. What's up, Mikey? What's going on, dude? When I was with my ex-wife... Uh-huh. We were all in the ocean plane, and she fell and hit her knee on the coral. So we went home and just cleaned it up, put a bandit on and everything, right? About a month later, her knee's just an excruciating pain, right? So we had to go to the doctor, and I went to the doctor, and the doctor had to go in there because the coral had attached itself to her kneecap, and it was starting to grow. So they had to go in there and literally scrape her kneecap and cut it all off. Oh, no, thank you. You have got to be kidding me. It started to grow? Oh, yeah.
Dude, that is nuts. Some corals are really, really, really, really like, what's that word? Hardy? It's like hardy. It's like hardy. They're very resilient. Hardy. They're very resilient, and they want to live. But I never heard of it doing inside somebody's knee. Dude, no. You had to keep a really close eye on it because they weren't sure if they could get it all or if they got it all. Oh. Did any more grow? No, but that's a gnarly scar, that's for sure. Should have put it in an aquarium and seen if it had grown there. Put her knee in an aquarium. That's right. Oh, that is really weird, Sean. Just in case the first one didn't work out. Thank you for the call. I was talking to you, Sean. P1 Dan. Yes. What did your dad inhale? My dad inhaled a piece of rigatoni that went into his lungs. And it was sloshed in there for about three months until he coughed it up. Went to the doctor. They said, we can't really do anything for you. A noodle? He coughed up a rigatoni. A three-month-old rigatoni. Oh, gross! Was it still serviceable? Put a little ragu on there. You're good.
Better put some prego on there. It's a hot rigatone. You put the parmigiano-razziano on there. Eat it with a cup of goo. It's a long rigatone. Disgusting. Wow. Can you imagine how gross that must be? Oh, my gosh. Smell great. Yeah, long rigatone. Stop. Bon appétit. Mwah. Mwah. Wonderful aroma. Sean. Jerome is on the line. Jerome. P1 Jerome. There's a Jerome jingle. What do you want from him? That was really random. Jerome, are you there? Yeah, hey, Mike. How you doing? Good. Good. Yeah, I got a story. My cousin was going through, I think it's Bud's. I don't know, like that seal training in Coronado. And his roommate was going over the high wall on the obstacle course.
And as he went over to the other side, one of the boards is kind of loose. And he had his forearm on the top. And as he dropped down the wall, the splinter from the board went all the way through his forearm and broke off. And it was sticking out about four inches on each side all the way through. Oh, dude. No way. It was my cousin's roommate, and he emailed me pictures. Oh, send it to us. Yeah, dude. Yeah, send it. Hey, dude. Sky at KIOZ.com. He's crazy. That will really gross Sky out. No, I'll never let my husband. I'll send it to Sky's site. No, I'm paranoid enough as it is. We used to have one of those date palms when my husband would be out there cutting one. I'd freak out whenever he uses his circular saw. Oh, no. Well, Sky. What? Sky worries about everything with that guy. He's worried he's going to get kidnapped. Right. I don't want him to. Thank you for the call. I love him. He's fine. 570-1053. He works with dangerous tools. He's the man. We all do. Text us at 35253. Hey, Mikey, my mom had a piece of glass removed from her knee from an accident 11 years ago. Piece of glass was an inch long, half inch wide. Dang.
Mikey, four years ago, I fell off a roof, impaled my arm on a dull water spigot. Mikey, I have glass stuck in my cheek from a car accident 17 years ago. Chicks dig it. You want monkey toes? Mikey, when my brother was three, he used to eat change. And about a year ago, he was 21 years old after a night of drinking and threw up 26 cents. I believe that can happen. I believe that that money, that change, can be in your stomach acid. You don't poop it out? I don't think you'd poop, but I don't think you do. Come on. I don't know. We could try it with Zeth in 21 years. Check in with him. All right. You know he would be making himself get sick just so he could pay rent. P1 Max? That's me. You had a 10-year-old brother what? No, when I had a kidney removed about...
10 years prior to this happening, but one of the stitches, they stapled the outside of me, but the inside they stitched, and a stitch worked its way up through. I had a 10-year-old stitch come out of my side. That's nuts. It's not that impressive, though. No? Not compared to some of the stuff we heard. Coral. Coral. Oh, man. Coughing up, you know, gunshot wounds. Rigatoni. Rigatoni. Rigatoni. I mean, does she have to participate? But me and Eddie do. No, wait. I follow him, and then I say what he said. No. We'll talk after. What? 570? It's your girl. No. That's your girl. No, no, no. It's your girl. No, no, no. No, no, no. No, no, no. Let's see. There's a new poll out, and it says that people think that the economy's weak, but... Same people that think that, think that it's going to get better within about a year. It'll take some time, but we'll get there. Yeah, they say that 78% of the people who took part in the poll believe that our nation's economy is poor or very poor. Only 19% think it's doing well, and 3% say it's very good. Those people are tripping.
And then when all those same people were asked, what do you think it'll be like a year from now? Forty six percent of the people expect it to be somewhat good and six percent say they expect it to be very good. People are positive. Speaking of the bad economy, it's becoming a new problem. There's overcrowding at animal shelters because of it, probably because people can't afford their pets. And also they're getting foreclosed on their homes. That's what happened to Sammy. She was relinquished. Well, wait a minute. Is that the right word? Relinquished? Does that fit there in that context? Well said. What happened? Sammy was let go by some family? Well, they think that she was turned in by her owner. We don't know why the owner gave her up. Was it a layoff or was she fired? Sammy apparently was working for Price Waterhouse and was pretty good. A pink slip? No, but it was during Christmas. They called her into the office and said, this is going to be a bad day for you, Sam. This is going to be a very bad day. Max Dugan, shut the door.
Oh, no. Sitting right there in the corner. That person was in there. That's right. Oh, no. What was her name? I don't remember the woman that fired you. She didn't fire us. She just witnessed the firing. She just had the paperwork. She had to be there in case we freaked out. Or in case he laughed so hard that he fell onto the floor. But he kind of did. Oh, no. He did. Just in case he was having so much fun. He passed out from the fun of firing us. Oh, did he have fun? Firing up. That is awful. Oh, man. What a jerk. You guys, can you close the door? Can you close the door? Guys, today is going to be a very bad day for you. He did not say that. Are you serious? Word for word. Where was this? Dallas. And there's the HR lady sitting there, stone-faced, thinking to herself, did he really just say that? Budweiser in tears. Was he in tears? Yeah.
Me and Mike knew it was coming. We didn't care. I was drunk anyway, so I didn't waste it. Oh, it was 10 o'clock. I mean, yeah, I was already drinking for three hours. Yeah, it was way after starting time. Oh, my goodness. So Clinton, Victoria Clinton. Who? What's her name? Betty. Betty Clinton. Are you talking about Hillary? Whatever. Oh, come on. Don't be that way. Please. She has not. Given up. She hasn't quit. But it is over. No, no, no, no, no. She says she's suspending her campaign. Suspending? She's suspending her campaign. Until it learns how to be better. 2012? Yeah, very interesting wording, right, Skye? Yeah, you know, she has not canceled her campaign. She did not concede. She says that she is suspending her campaign. She's conceded. And throwing all her support to Obama. My neighbor said that he heard that people are saying that she might have something big up her sleeve that she's not telling people about for the convention. Like what? I don't know. What if it's some info or some, I don't know. I don't know. Like Obama's not really a U.S. citizen or something. Yeah, I heard something on the radio. Oh, stop it, Mike. No, no, no, honestly. Stop it. Sky, check it out. Talk about it, Mike.
I didn't hear that he wasn't a U.S. citizen. You guys probably know this. This is probably common knowledge to you guys, but I just heard this. Did you guys hear that when the Star Spangled Banner is played or when there's a particular... Eddie, you heard this? Yeah. He won't put his hand over his heart or he won't salute. Yeah, and he doesn't wear the flag pin. I know about the flag pin. I didn't know about this. Not, you know, when the thing's being played, he doesn't salute or something. He's anti-America. I agree he hates America. Let's put it out there. He is not. Why does he do that, then? That is false. Why does he do that? If he's not anti-American. Sky, have you heard this story? Yeah, because he says that he believes those things are just, like, they're fake symbols. That creeps me out, dude. They don't make you a patriot, you know, just by doing those things. They're, like, fake symbols. Whatever. Whatever. Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something, Sky. If you said that, whatever. If anybody said that, anybody I know could say that, and I'd be like, whatever. I think you're kind of strange, but whatever floats your boat. When a nominee for the President of the United States of America says that, it creeps me out, man. Yeah, man. Especially because his name's Osama Bin Laden.
It is Barack Hussein Obama. That is his name. That is so messed up, Scott. He's a godless pagan. That is so messed up. Barack Hussein Hitler Obama. No, Hitler is not in there. I knew it. Please. Guy's name is really Barack Hussein Obama. Are we nuts? Are we crazy? That guy's going to be our president? I don't think so. I won't salute. I won't salute. And my name is Barack Hussein Obama. I don't like the flag. It's just the name. I don't like the flag. He didn't say he didn't like the flag. What the hell? He won't wear a flag pin. He won't wear a stupid pin. Who cares? John McCain fought for our country. He's a true American. Oh, shut up. Yeah, he wants to put us further in debt. He wants to keep all those crazies out is what he wants. I think Obama wants the same thing. Can somebody loan me a red flag to put up? Obama wants to worry about America. I have red flags. He wants to sell America. He's the worst. You're the worst. Dude, does that creep you out, Eddie? Big time. Dude, it creeps me out. He's supposed to be the ultimate patriot. Yeah, you're supposed to be, the president's supposed to be like Mr. Patriot. He is. Super patriot. He's just saying there's faulty symbols. Come on, don't do it, Democrats.
thing right now it trips you out i can tell i know you know it is a little weird but you know what when he explained it i was like i i feel you who cares if you wear a little pin that doesn't make you that explanation no totally sky like seriously i agree with the philosophy like i don't disagree with it i just think it's so creepy he's not a sheep man he's not a sheep like the rest of you You hate it. Just say it. You don't like it either. Admit it. Admit that you think it's so weird. You know what? I respect him. I respect him thinking out of the box. What is it? I'm always right. Yes, she is. You're always wrong. Thank you. Enough said. We're not going to commercial until you admit that. I admire it. No, you don't. Eddie, don't kick me out of the room. Please remove her from the studio. No, I have things to say. He's pulling her out. You are being removed, lady. You're insanity. Speaking at speaker. Speak face. He's getting her out of here. She's nuts. She's nuts.
She won't let him. And he's pretending he can't look. She's holding onto the door so he can't pull her out. She goes, stop, you're upsetting the news stations. Oh, they just got mad. Dude, the news stations just slammed their door. Read the newspaper. He's hiding. They don't see you. And he just crawled under the table. I smell a San Diego all email. Yeah. No. No kidding. Yeah, right? You know what Ron is? One more cool thing. And this is The Rock. We're here asking people from all over what they think of lifting green tea. Just wanted to drop you a note on my barbecue with Johnsonville Brats stealing the show this last weekend. We had six people over. I had three packs of brats and my burgers went untouched while everyone, including a skeptical friend like Sky, who never tries anything new, devoured the brats I served up. My method, I used six-inch French rolls instead of hot dog buns and melted provolone and cheddar cheese on them and sprinkling of chopped onions. Everyone loved them. That's P1 Baystring. You can have them too, people. You can prepare them any way you want. They are delicious. Me, personally, plain. Just the brats, just the brats flavor alone are perfect to me. I don't want anything messing them up. And here's what you got to do. You go to your local grocery food section.

Why did the convict have to be a black guy? Don't do this. It's K-I-O-Z San Diego. And then... What the heck was that? It's a good one.
Hit it. I say hit it. Good riddance. The world is better off without you. How dare you? Let's see. In Pennsylvania, there was a naked man. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. There was a naked man rescued from a port-a-potty in Pennsylvania. We know you like to take your clothes off before you go to the restaurant. And we know that you're a big man. What does being a big man have to do with anything, though? Yeah, what the hell? Maybe you would get stuck in there. Because you're so bitching. You son of a bitch. What? I'm making an observation. That is not a compliment. Keep that observation yourself, ass. I meant you're tall. Oh, my God. You're tall. You're tall.
Yeah, I'm sure. Oh, my God. You know, maybe your bottom would get stuck in there because you're so heavy. No, because you're morbidly obese. No, that's insane. You're like sick. You know, like you would try to get out, but you'd be stuck because you're so big. How did you even fit in there in the first place? How did you get in there? Did you go through the roof? You know what, bro? I'm like, Mike had surgery for that. You don't want to think about it. Before you get buried in a piano case. You know, like you're a fat glass of water. Yeah, like if water weighed 500 pounds. Sky, how did this guy... Why was he in a porta potty? Well, I don't know. The only details... Yeah, the only details I have is the dude took all his clothes off before going in the porta potty. Sean does that. When Sean goes to the restroom, even at the radio station.
Is he going for a dip? And I guess this was after a long night of drinking. Lots of drinks, lots of adult beverages. And somehow got stuck in the holding tank area. He had his cell phone and was able to call 911 so they could come and touch him. I'd like to hear that call. Hey, Mom. That's John. I'm in the port-a-potty. Can you help me? I'm stuck. Just open the door, Joel. That's so gross. I don't know what's going on there. Let's see. 250 appointments have been made for gay marriages at the San Diego County Clerk's Office. So June 17th is the big day when homosexual couples can start being married here in California. They have 50 appointments set for just that day with gay couples, but a total of 250 appointments have been set so far. I do. I love you, Danny DeVito. I take this, man.
To be my lovely, revered husband. To Eve and the old. To love and the Anna. Until death do us part. That is a sick accent. I do. What? You what? So all the forms have been updated. They no longer say bride and groom. I believe they say something like applicant A and applicant B. Oh, romantic. What? Something like that, yeah. I'm a man and you a man. A couple that claims to have been bitten by bedbugs at Barona? Why is that funny? wants judges outside the tribal justice system to oversee the case. Are you serious? Yeah. They're suing, saying they suffered physical and psychological pain due to the bed bugs. Kenny Rogers should have to oversee the case. It's all from his beard. So gross, dude.
So this case has been tied up in the tribal judicial system for three years now, and so they obviously... His beard slept in that bed. Dude, trim that thing. He hasn't washed it since six-pack. Okay, dude. Show on. Show on. So they believe it's not possible for them to get a fair trial. And they want an outside judge to oversee it. Jessica Alba gave birth yesterday to a girl. Yep, and they just released the name. People Magazine is reporting they named her... Adam Sandler. Close. Honor Marie Ward. Come on. So dumb. Why? Honor. I think it's beautiful. That's so stupid. How about Jennifer? What's wrong with that? Yeah. Yeah. Honor. Honor. I love it. Honor. Come here, Honor. Honor. Yeah. Good luck with that name. Yeah, right? Stupid. She'll probably go by Honor Marie. Oh, that makes it better. Yes. Shut your mouth. Sky. I like it. Shut your mouth.
Don't you tell me to shut my mouth shut your mouth Skye likes weird names yeah but that's really weird that is horrible no way Jose like I think honor I think like honoring our troops like honoring respecting and it's like you can't just throw that name around all willy nilly you're gay that girl is in for it oh okay I guess I didn't think about that You better think about that. Yeah, think about it. You think about it. Think about it. And can't you just picture, like, yes, your honor. The kid's making fun. You know, if she's trying to, like, you know, get direction, they'll be like, yes, your honor. Yes. Shut your mouth. Rude. Rafael Nadal is continuing his dominance in France. What's that? Huh? He won the French Open with ease. Who is that? He's a Ninja Turtle, right? Rafael Nadal, he's the green Ninja Turtle. Yeah, he's the green one, right? There's the blue one, the green one, the red one, right? And then the white one. Oh, man. Stop it.
He beat Roger Federer. Ninja Turtles. Yeah, yeah. They're those little different colored Japanese animation guys, right? These are the worst. Ninja Turtles. They're like... Oh, man. Wow. Ninja Turtles! That was the theme song. You're right. To your girl! Oh, boy. That was the whole thing. What was the rat's name? Ratatouille, right? Yes, yes. Yes, it was. Sure, if you can. I want you to picture a girl with her bangs cut straight, okay? And she's got on, like, she's doing, like, the buck teeth, like the Jerry Lewis, you know? The Jerry Lewis buck teeth. Best. The best ever. Sean, are you going to watch Wipeout? Yeah. What is that? What is Wipeout? Oh, it looks so good. What is it? It's a new, like, American version of, like, Japanese game shows where they, like, have these giant rubber, I mean, giant rubber balls, and they're jumping on it, and you see them just fly off. I'm already in love with it. Oh, dude, it looks just terrible. What is that on? What is that on? I think it's ABC. Yeah, sounds right. And then there's another game show that's coming up called I Survived a Japanese Game Show. Oh, yeah. Which looks really good. Everything looks good to me, so.
Yeah. For what it's worth. I can't. Wipe out. Yeah. It's almost humanly impossible to make that level. I can't do it. You can't. I'm going to try. Do it, Ashley. Do it. Good job. I want to work on it. I guarantee you Buckley can do it. Oh, wow. Guarantee you. Voice of an angel. The guy's got a voice of an angel. Let's see. What am I forgetting? Do you know? I think we're done. Honestly. David Cook's going to sing the national anthem at Tuesday's NBA Finals, game number three. Oh, good. That's right. Yay. Yay. Yay. The new American Idol kid. Oh. The finances of Anne Heche's divorce have been settled.
Yeah, the judge ruled that Anne Heche will have to pay her ex-husband a lump sum of $275,000, and then will have to pay monthly child support to him of just under $4,000, and she will also pay 75% of his school tuition. Aye, aye, aye. I can listen to that all day. I want that to be my ringtone. Oh, me too, Joe. Time to get a text. How do you make it happen? Yes. I'm not going to say. I'm not going to text. Please, I want to do it. Somebody help me. How? Oh, that's funny. Oh, no. Zeth writes, did the responsible thing Friday night, used a designated driver. What? Good job. Then he got pulled over, and I got my license taken by a cop. Oh, yeah! I don't know what it will teach him, but... Something. Went drunk. Well, you weren't drunk. Nope.
Your DD was drunk? No, he wasn't. We went through sobriety checkpoint. My friend's kind of a dimwit. Mm-hmm. And we go through the checkpoint. Cop asked for his license, and he gave him his debit card. Kind of a tip-off. Yeah. And he was drunk? No, sober as a judge, man. Then why did he give him his debit card? Because he's an idiot. And the cop, what did the cop do? Idiot. Well, he gives him the debit card, and he kind of looks away and starts talking to me. I'm like, Danny, dude, you just gave him your debit card. And the cop's looking at the ID, looking at me. He goes, how much do you have to drink tonight, son? He's like, nothing. Like, absolutely nothing. I'm just kind of an idiot. He's like, all right, well, go over to secondary. And they ran our information, gave him a sobriety test, made him do the breathalyzer three times, and then ran my information. And they came back, they're like, you know, your license is suspended, right? No. And they took my ID and wrote me a piece of paper that said, you're an idiot. That's not good. Yep. Goodness. So Zeth walked to work today. Yeah, sure did. Did he really walk to work? Yeah. Yeah, you got to. How did you get to work? I actually jogged. How do you think I got to work, Mike? The bus. The bus. The bus. The bus. The bus. The bus. The bus. Yes, tandem bike. Tandem bike. Tandem bike. Tandem bike. Skateboard. Yes. Tandem bike.
Eddie, have you downloaded any Tim and Eric awesome show? Great job. I've seen it a little bit on YouTube, but I haven't watched a full episode. It is just unbelievable. I attempted to record it again this weekend, but it was something else on my TiVo. It's Cartoon Network. I know, and I went to 4.15 a.m., but it was like... You know, the show that went from 4 to 4.30 a.m. was not called Ken and Ren and Spenny's Good Job Awesome Perfectness. So I just recorded it, and I'm assuming it'll, like... Have you tried searching for the show and actually, you know, doing it that way? Yeah, that's really difficult for me to figure out. So I just... That's a good time frame and just click. That's nothing for me. They do a character. Named Casey. Welcome to Uncle Muscle's Classics. From 1993. This is Horse and Buggy Ride.
That was him. He just for no reason goes. Okay. It's like a super imposed horse and buggy. And then like really bad blue screened in is him on the horse and buggy for no reason singing a song called horse and buggy ride. Yeah. Stage fright? So he's fighting back vomiting through the whole thing. Not kidding. Like, that's the thing. Through the whole thing. He tries to not throw up. Like, dude, see if you can find sunsets, Sean. There's a song from him, and I think it's called Sunsets. But you're like, is it funny? Is it scary? Is this a nightmare? Is this the funniest thing I've ever seen?
I'm not really sure. I don't see sunsets. It's by Casey. The song is called No Sunsets. This will play shrimp and white wine for you at some time. Let's see. I guess Seth and Rob also went to Food for Less and apparently Rob will buy anything that has a two for five dollar sign on it. That's the best deal ever. It doesn't matter. It could be tampons. He'll buy it if it's $2 for $5. Yeah, dude. You can't beat that price. You can't. $2 for $4, unheard of. $2 for $5 is where it's at. Hey, ringtones, if you want to do that. Yeah, I do. You go to myphonefiles.com. You can convert any sound clip or 30-second song clip into a ringtone. Sean. Sean. Let's all have it. Sean. Help us.
You know what we can do, actually? What? We can make that available to all our P1s. What? Yeah, we can make that sound clip available to all our P1s. Yeah, we can do it. Now all our phones are going to be like, we're thinking our phones are ringing. I know it. Is that mine? Is that yours? You guys should check out Human Tetris on YouTube. Very good and hilarious example of a Japanese game show. It's P1 Cheese. It says, Sarah at the front desk actually auditioned for this a few weeks ago. What? Human Tetris. Really? Yeah. It's a Japanese thing? Yeah, I guess they're trying to bring it to America. Like, I looked it up on YouTube. Like, it's weird. Yeah? Entertaining. Like, they stand there, and, like, there's a wall coming towards them with a cutout on it, and they have to, like, manipulate their body towards the cutout. It doesn't, you know, if they can't fit through, the wall hits them, and they go into some water. It's weird. Oh, yeah, I think they play that game on Ellen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. My wife thinks that's hysterical. Yeah, she's telling me about it. Get Sarah on the phone.
Front desk. Let's ask her about that. Auditioning. Uh, let's see. Hey, Shawnee, did you find no sunsets? One more sunset. Wow. No sunsets. Let's try not to throw up most. Oh, that's a shame. That's such a shame. 570-1053 is our phone number beginning and end of every show we do open phone segment. Sarah? Hello. So how did you hear about this audition for this show? Well, I saw it on YouTube like a month or two ago. And then I was just on Craigslist and I saw that they were having auditions for it. And I knew how to do it. Okay, how do you know how to do it? Have you seen the video?
Yeah. Don't you want to be a part of it? That doesn't mean you know how to do it. I mean, and it was a Japanese show. They're making it into American, right? So did you get on it? Like, what's the deal? Okay, so we made it to, okay, we went to the first round of auditions and like we had on these like totally 80s outfits. Like we each had on these different colors, like hot pink tights. We made these shirts with different like tetra shapes on them. And the first audition, the first round, was you had to audition in front of everybody. Like, all the groups got into one room, and you had to pretend. They would hold up a shape, and you would have to form your body in that shape, and they would tell you if you cleared or if you weren't cleared, and you had to act like you would react. You know? And so, like, we cleared it, and they liked our reaction. So we made it to the second round. They called it the Hollywood round.
So we had the camera audition, and they were asking us if we had any, like, hidden talents. And me and my sister used to Irish dance, and we told them we could Irish dance, and we started, like, Irish dancing around the room. And then, like, I told them I used to play volleyball, so I, like, was doing, like, volleyball dives on the floor, and, like, we were doing splits, and we were doing headstands. All that work, and they probably said no. No, they left us. They took our measurements for, like, the spandex outfit. Oh, well. Rob is holding auditions out back. It was wonderful, though. It was so much fun. So do you know if you're chosen or what? Well, we don't know. We're waiting to hear back. Basically, the tape goes to the head of Fox, and they said he has the attention span of like a two-year-old. So we should know this. It's only next month in July. We're on the radio. Producer Eric Simmons said the head of Fox. Oh, it's the best. So, yeah, I don't know yet. All right, well. We'll find out. We did awesome, though. I'll be surprised if we don't get it. Hey, Nagasa, okay? Yeah. Nagasa. Nagasa. Nagasa. Nagasa. So, I want to let everybody know. Yeah. Nagasa. Yeah. Thank you. Oh, good. I'll take it. Mikey Show. This Casey? Wow. You have to see the visual. Yeah.
Sweating, but it's like sweat like they poured a bucket on his head. That's what it looks like. He's got really bad eczema, too. Oh, no. Mikey Show. Hello. Hello, Mikey Show. Yes. Mikey? Yes. Is this Mikey? Yes, it is. I just want to say I love your show, dude. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. I waited that whole time. So lame. Thank you, Eddie. Oh, my goodness. It's like there's a delay. I thought it was Buzz Aldrin, but I don't think it is. When I was talking to Buzz Aldrin, it took like five seconds for him to answer me. You were talking to him on the moon. I know. That was a weird thing. That's a long delay. Is there anybody there? I can hear them. I can hear you. We're watching you. Mikey Show. Hi, Sean.
I called in earlier and never get to tell you my story about my finger. Mikey Show. Hey, bud, I hear you guys listen to all those funny songs. I got a guy, a name of a guy who does really funny songs. His name's James Kachalka. He does all kinds of funny songs. He's got one that's called, like, Don't Trust Whitey, and he's got a bunch of other weird ones. Oh, there you go. There you go. Thank you. Holla. All right, thanks, bud. Holla. Mikey Show, hello. What do you suppose is happening? Yo. Hey, you're talking about making ringtones? Yes. I think Boston Rob's Christmas ham would be a perfect ringtone. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, that's it. It's tough. It's tough. Last call. Bring us home. Yes! We gotta go, but the lovely and talented Rick Lawrence is up next. Oh! He's filling in for...
