Mikey hosted the show with regular contributors Eddie, Skye, Sean, and Ashley, covering Tiger Woods' sudden‑death U.S. Open win, the inaugural San Diego gay marriage, Reinforcement Day, Sean's headache remedies, and the odd salty minty milk experiment. The program also featured Al Gore's endorsement of Barack Obama, the reveal of Metallica's album "Death Magnetic," and an interactive P1 Password game where listeners guessed words from one‑word clues. Throughout, the hosts debated topics ranging from same‑sex parenting and toy colors to health tips and pop‑culture trivia.
What happened, in order
Tiger Woods U.S. Open sudden death win
Mikey and Eddie recount Tiger Woods' dramatic 19-hole victory over Rocco Mediate for his 14th major title.
Reinforcement Day explained
The hosts describe June 17th as Reinforcement Day, a voluntary day to tighten cupboards with a screwdriver, noting it brings 40 years of bad luck if skipped.
Sean's headache and water cure
Sean complains of a severe migraine, while Ashley and others insist drinking water (especially sparkling) will alleviate the pain.
Salty minty milk experiment
Sean tries adding kosher salt, then mint, to his milk, prompting disgust from the crew who call the concoction a "barf book" recipe.
First San Diego gay marriage announced
Mikey shares that a retired Marine sergeant and his partner will be the first same-sex couple to marry in San Diego at 7 a.m., with about 200 couples expected that day.
Al Gore endorses Barack Obama

A retired Marine sergeant and his partner plan to be San Diego's first same-sex couple to marry this morning at 7 a.m. Tiger is amazing. How does he do it? It's a slow putt. Got to get it there, Rocco. For the United States Open, you've got to get it there. Just to stay alive in sudden death. In one of the most remarkable performances of his career, Tiger Woods perseveres through Torrey Pines. and wins a third U.S. Open championship. Eddie, what are we hearing there? We're hearing Rocco not making a putt? He missed the putt in the 19th hole of sudden death. Oh, my gosh. Tiger was able to beat Rocco Media for the U.S. Open, his 14th major title. Okay, I'm totally confused. Yeah, what does that mean? Does that mean you go to 18 holes and you're tied? So what's the 19th? So they had to go the 19th hole, I believe, was the hole number seven.
They went back and played hole number seven. So they just start where they would start, hole number seven. Well, that wasn't where they would start. I guess that's just the designated hole they start on sudden death. And whoever beats the other guy first, you know, whoever posts the better score first wins the hole or wins the match. So basically Tiger, you know, makes, you know, does, like, gets a score. Yeah. And then Rocco just has to immediately come back. He has to at least tie. To have them go to another round. But when he missed that putt. He missed the putt, and Tiger had a better score, Tiger won. How dramatic, dude. It was crazy. It was crazy. Did you love it? I stayed up, watched the whole thing. How long did it go? It ended, like, the broadcast was over, I think, at a quarter to two. Yeah. So. That is so awesome. It was really cool. Awesome. Yeah, I told my wife yesterday, I said, I think I'm interested in golf. Yeah. I mean, that was so cool watching. I mean, not every golf tournament is like this, obviously. But usually the majors have some sort of drama to them. I mean, with Tiger and his knee and all that stuff, it was crazy. And Rocco, he played out of his head. I mean, he stayed with Tiger for 18 more holes. I mean, they were tied. So it was pretty cool. It was pretty cool to watch. And Tiger had to make birdie on 18 to force the sudden death.
That's amazing, dude. It really was crazy. That's awesome. It was fun to watch. Let's see. Let's get the sucker going. Test that mic, Zeth. Test that mic. Say one, two, three. One, two, three. Perfect. We got Zeth on the regular microphone at the table. Zeth has basically received a promotion. Yeah. How about that? I'll take it. He is no longer in the freshman chair. He's officially a sophomore. So we've got to see if the sophomore jinx happens or if he eventually becomes a senior and then picks on the freshman. When I was in junior high, the rumor was that in high school they put the freshman in garbage cans. I heard that same rumor. I never saw it happen. It didn't. Didn't happen. They just did that to freak you out. And we believed it. We believed it. It didn't happen, though. My sister said that my first day of school when I was a freshman, because she was a senior, that she was going to get a bunch of people together and throw me in the pool. Oh, wow. That was really sweet. That was a really fun day. My first day already. Where is it coming from? I was expected to be thrown in the pool, but it didn't happen. Didn't happen.
His tits are scaring me. Wow, that's certainly loving. He's a good person. That's why you guys are so close to this thing. That's very true, Sean. That's why you guys keep it real. Accurate. 570-1053 is the phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show. So you can call us right now and say, what up? We can do that right now. My niece graduated yesterday from fifth grade. They do fifth grade graduations. I did not know that. Fifth grade? Yes. Why? No, they do sixth grade. They graduate into junior high. She's in fifth. And then they do a little junior high graduation to go into high school. I graduated from junior high, from Brownell Junior High School in Gilroy. My junior high started in sixth grade. It was sixth, seventh, and eighth, but I never had like an elementary school graduation. I only had the middle school and the high school. Yeah. I was like... I almost want to say, are you sure that you guys are graduating? Wow. But yeah, she graduated yesterday. It was really cool. Cute. Let's see. Call us at 570-1053 and our text number is 35253. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show and I am 38 years old and I slept late today. You too? Yeah. I slept in. I set the alarm a little bit later and I slept until 3 a.m.
And yeah, and I went to bed at like 7 p.m. Wow. And I had very, very, very vivid, vivid dreams. I don't usually remember my dreams, but I had really vivid dreams and they were weird. But I guess all dreams have a little bit of weirdness in them. Oh, yeah. I was I'd like dreamt that I was at this weird house and there was like a party going on. And later in the night, Rebecca and I were trying to get some sleep. But these friends of ours who I don't know who either guy was. It was two guys. They came over and I've never met them. But in my dream, we were good friends. And they had both been out drinking. And so we were trying to like deal with that, with the drinking and you guys get to sleep. And it was really bizarre. So if there's a dream analyst out there in our listening audience, Olay. Eddie is our producer and our sports guy, and he has brown hair, and he's from Gilroy, California. Yeah. When he was younger, he played soccer, and he was really good at it. He was a goalie. That's true. That's right. Oh, you were a goalie? Yeah. I didn't know that. Keeper. That's right. I wonder if you could... I wonder if it translates well, like kids that play really good soccer. Like if they move to a...
cold part of the country if they could be good at hockey doing the same thing. It's kind of the same concept as a goalie. You're trying to block something even though it's smaller from getting in there. I played goalies since I was a little kid and I didn't mind throwing my body around and that helped me a lot. When I played baseball, I played third base and I would die for balls and stuff like that. Football, I didn't mind throwing my body around and stuff like that. So I think it did help a little bit. Sometimes they translate to other sports. Let's see. So there was one thing that we need to talk about at some point is the stuff that is going on with Mark Wahlberg and him kind of talking some smack. So we'll get into that in a little bit. I just want to let people know we're going to be talking about this. Mark Wahlberg has not been holding back. No. Skye is our news girl. She is 30 years of age and she's rolling headband today. Oh, look at that. Like the headband. Thank you all. Don't know why she doesn't do it every day, but, you know, she decides. Sometimes she's not going to wear it, but I love it. It's a special treat. There you go. It's for special occasions. Right. And today is Reinforcement Day. So today is the day that you should go through your entire house with a screwdriver, really tightening up your cupboards. Reinforcement Day. That's a real thing? Yeah, June 17th. 2008 was the first one. And, you know, there'll probably be many more of them.
But today's the first one. Reinforcement day. Okay. So make sure you don't do it. Or they say it brings you 40 years bad luck. So, you know, it's up to you. Totally up to you. Okay. Like total voluntary. Sean is our sound effects guy. That's right. And he has a mustache. And a mustache. That's right. A mustache. And a very bad headache. Uh-oh. What is the deal with the headache? Really bad headache. What's going on? I don't know. I'm starting to get these migraines now that I'm getting older. And they're really painful. Really? Yeah. 70% of headaches are caused from dehydration. Wow. I should drink my headache away. You should drink more water. Have you had anything to say? That's what Ashley says. She really does think that water helps a lot of different ailments. Yeah. My brother's in med school. I drink water. This is a reliable source. Yeah. Her brother's in med school. I don't know that that's real water. So he's got an awesome set of tools. It's definitely water. There you go. Sparkling water. I don't know that that does the trick. Oh, right. They took all the...
moisture out of it. You don't need to yell at me. I'm trying to help. He's screaming kind of at the top of his lungs. I'm not shouting. Think of the children. This is shouting! Sean really affected a lot of commuters. A lot of commuters were probably affected by that. I poked a bear. I understand. Yeah, you poked a bear. It's really good for the headache, too. Yeah. I'm shooting pain right through my forehead. Definitely good headache. It's like cracked right through my eyeball. Yeah, it's pretty much like jolting yourself with electricity. What you can also do is find your pressure points in your eyebrows and you will find where the headache is and you just hold down on the pressure point. My headache's getting worse. Oh my goodness. Ashley just reminded me of something that was in my dream. So in my dream, there's this girl. Who I don't know who she is. And she has like this little, you know, it looks kind of like a needle. And she's like, come here, come here. And I like go up to her and she pierces my eyebrow. And she puts like a little, you know, loop. How weird is that? I know she just reminded me of that from my dream. Same house that I was talking about. So weird. Ashley is our assistant producer.
And she's 24. Big advocate of water. Big time advocate. Water expert. She's a water expert. She loves to breathe and she loves water. It's so true. She does. Very true. She does. They overlook it. Did you guys know that Sean quit drinking soda? Yeah. Yeah, he completely stopped with soda. All he drinks now is that sparkling water. It's good. Yeah. That's all he does. It's pretty good, right? Yeah. Yep, that's all he does. And occasional salty milk. That's right. He will drink milk. He'll take milk. Yeah. And Sean has discovered that if he just puts a little bit of kosher salt in the milk, he enjoys the taste. Now, a lot of us think that's filthy, but Sean says it's actually pretty good, you know? There's a new permutation, Mike. What? What? What do you do to it now? There's another step that makes it even better. There's nothing else that should be done. First of all, there's nothing that should be done to it in the first place. Great point, Mike. Milk is milk. This is going to upset me. What do you do now? Well, Mike, if you want it to taste really good, in addition to the pinch of salt that you put in. You add a goat. Sorry about that, Sean. He wasn't a fan of that. Off the cuff remark.
All I wanted to do was share. I want to hear it. I don't breathe enough. What do you put now? You put mint in it, Mike. Minty milk? Minty milk? You tear up the little leaves. Minty milk. And you put the leaves in along with the salt. Salty minty milk. Yes. Mike. Look, hold on. Hold on. No, it's not. Actually, it's not. There are people listening online right now from Vietnam that are going, that is gross. May I please? Gunnins just threw up. Excuse me. Excuse me. None of you have tried it. And never will. Excuse me. Until you try it first. Until you try it. Never eaten sand either. Never eaten sand. You shouldn't. Sand is not food. Sand is not food. Sand is not food. Before you knock it.
Before you knock it, guys, be disgusted by it. Will you do that for me? Tell you what, next time I'm there, I'll make you all. No, you won't. A glass of salty, minty milk. Sean should make a cookbook. No, he should not. I'd love to. Oh, my gosh. So gross. It would be delicious. Barf book. You're a barf book. You are. You are. I opened you up and I saw barf. Turn to page four. It's you. Page five is your face. Really? All right. Page six is your recipe. Yes. I accept that. Boston Rob is our phone screener. Sing her song. Is he here today? Yeah, he's right there. Where's Boston Rob? There he is. He's sitting right there. Hey, buddy. I'm talking to people on the phone. That's right. That's Boston Rob. Seeing what people are up to. And Boston Rob, what's going on new with you? Anything? New? Nope. Got my meds filled up. But this morning, I was blogging. And in my blog, it was kind of therapeutic. I was just kind of, you know, flowing.
letting everything out, and I realized why I don't wear sandals or flip-flops. What made you think a bit about it? I couldn't tell you. It just came to you? Yeah, it just came to me, and I started writing about it and writing about it. I didn't know why I was writing about it. Why do you not wear sandals? And then at the very end, well, you guys... Why do you not call them flip-flops is another question. That's a great point. Why does he have to come? Is he from ancient Rome or something? I refuse to wear cleft shoes, Mike. You guys know I'm a big fan of socks. Yes. And if you're wearing sandals all day, I mean, what do you got to look forward to? You get home, hard day at work, you kick off your sandals. Ah, my feet feel the same. You know what I mean? But after a hard day at work, the dogs are barking, you kick those shoes off, you take off the socks, you let the steam rise, and you're like, oh yeah, baby.
Oh, yeah. That's living. That's not what I do. Those people that wear sandals all day and they're, I don't know, hugging trees or whatever they do for their job, they have no hope. They don't know what it feels like to have a... We have nothing to live for. Clearly. Have steamy feet. That's right. That's right. I have no idea what feeling good is like, buddy. Their feet will never emit steam. That's right. We're clearly deprived. I'm thinking I probably just sold a thousand pairs of shoes. I bet you did. People are calling in sick to go to Mervin's. Rob, let me ask you this. What if you wore socks with sandals? Ew, Eddie. Oh, Eddie. That's illegal. Who does that? Old people. Yeah, it's true. All right. They're confused. They thought they put on shoes. Finally, ladies and gentlemen, there is Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates III, Jr., Esquire. Wow. And he's sitting at the main table here. Wow. He is now one of the members of the Knights of the Round Table. I don't appreciate his low-riding chair. You don't? No. Yeah, because he does. He takes the chair and he puts it all the way down as far as it'll go. And so Zeth looks like he's a lot. No, no, no, no, no.
You're just overdoing it. I appreciate his love. Actually, I understand why he does that when you're a very tall person. You kind of have to do that with these chairs. Can you do that too, Sean? Yeah, I do the same thing. It's a tall person thing. I prefer it so you're not blocking my view of me. Yeah, me too. Because that throws me off. I've got to be able to see Ash. Ash, did you... Did you watch... Guy, please, let him slouch in dismay. Okay, I'm sorry. We like it like that. In dismay, what does that mean? She had no idea. It sounded really good, though. Did it not? Did it not? It did not. Immediately, it sounded wrong. Ashley, did you watch Best in Show? No. I'm the worst. I'm the worst. I'm sorry. Why did you not? Why did you not? Why did you not? My honey came over. I made him dinner. Yeah. So he came over, but I made him the best dinner I've ever made him. BTW. Organic spinach fettuccine. Don't continue. I don't want him to hear anything. With organic pasta sauce simmered in some sausages. What the hell?
I don't even know. It's probably like Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage. No, they're delicious. They were turkey sausages filled with sun-dried tomatoes, black olives, and feta cheese from Henry's. Should have been Johnsonville. Yes, it should have. Should have had those brats. My vegetarian intake turkey sausages over regular is better. Turkey is meat. Eddie, I'm partial. I'm partial. I don't think she understands what vegetarian means. I don't either. I'm being for real. Vegetarian means no meat. That's why I'm partial. I thought that was healthy. Turkey is meat. Vegetarian's Latin for healthy, right? Right? I'm okay with, like, turkey sausage, but for some reason, like, beef sausage. Then you're not vegetarian. I'm partial. You're not partial. You're not a partial murderer. You're not a murderer. You're not a murderer. You are. Exactly. She had organic spinach fettuccine with organic pasta sauce simmered in sausages that she sliced and cooked in a pan. Yeah. Does that mean you boiled it? Sauteed them. You sauteed them in what? Olive oil. What kind of olive oil? EVOO. EVOO. Cod liver. Yeah, sauteed them in cod liver.
I sauteed them in grape juice. Same thing is olive oil. It's organic grape juice. Thank you. Olives are made from grapes. I thought olive was Greek for grapes. Olives are dried grapes, right? Aren't they in the prune family? 570. 105.3. Delicious. Rebecca's friend, Lori, at dinner on Saturday night was telling us that she eats this delicious fruit from her parents' house called mulberry. And it's on a tree. And I said, but isn't there like a mulberry bush? She goes, yeah, but there's a mulberry tree too. I was like, really? What is a mulberry? Have you guys ever heard, ever seen mulberry? I've seen it on the Food Network, but I've never eaten one. I've never even seen it.
Never heard of it. She says it's like a long thing. She described what seemed like a sweet pea. Really? Like in a pea pod. That's what it sounded like. I don't remember, I guess. Never eaten it. Never heard of it. Never heard of it. P1 Brando. Hello, guys. Good morning. What's going on, dude? I got a question for Eddie about the tournament at the U.S. Open. Yeah. How do you feel about that 18-hole playoff? Because I know there's some controversy on whether to get rid of it or not. Well, you know, I mean, that's the difference between the U.S. Open and every other tournament is that the USGA has this 18-hole playoff. And it's interesting. You know, I mean, I think if Tiger Woods wasn't in it, I don't know that anybody would have watched yesterday. So that's the one drawback to it. But, man, it was great yesterday. I had a blast watching it. So I guess it just kind of depends. What do other tournaments do? Well, like the Masters, it's just sudden death right out of the gate. Oh, okay. With the British Open, it's like a three-hole playoff. That's weird that they're all different. You'd think they'd all kind of be on the same page about how it goes down. It makes them different. It makes them interesting. I don't know. My wife doesn't watch golf, kind of like you, Mikey, and she said she watched the whole thing yesterday. Couldn't stop watching it. Yeah, man.
It seemed really cool, and I wish I would have watched it. All right, buddy. Thank you for the call. Yeah, thanks, guys. Have a good day. We ordered from Lucadia Pizzeria last night. Have you guys ever eaten from that? Yes. I love it. Dude. It's really good. It's good. It's really good. And their garlic bread is, like, the best. Yeah. It's such good food. Yeah, they don't just make good pizza. They make good, like, pastas and stuff, really good stuff. And then I've never had it, but apparently they make these homemade chocolate chip cookies, but that's not really my deal. This guy's looking like she would like some of that action. Yeah, that sounds good. I'm looking at a mulberry right now, and it looks like a cluster of little tiny berries all in one. You know, completely opposite of what... I thought it was, but they're supposed to taste real good. I like to put mulberries in milk. You do? Oh. A little mulberry milk. Wow, with some salt? Not a bad idea. I use pepper. Oh, pepper. Pepper. That's a nice twist on it. P1. That sounds gross. You've never tried it, Sean. I just said it sounds gross. I didn't say it is gross. Oh, wow. P1, Garen. Semantics. It is. Garen. Hi. Hi.
Is this Ashley? This is Mikey. Hi, Mikey. How are you? Good. How are you? I'm good. How old are you? I'm 10. What were you calling about, bro? I wanted to talk about how Ashley's a vegetarian. Yes, please. I'm really nervous for this. It's scaring me. Yes, go ahead. What would you like to say? I'd like to say that the cows have no reason to live. And that you should just eat them because they taste good. That is going to be the headline on the cover of the UT tomorrow. What? Nothing. They're all facts. So, yeah, so you are a fan of, you know, beef. You love hamburger and steak, right? Heck yes. Heck yes. Tell them. Well, there you go. Yeah.
We're trying to convince Ashley of the same thing. What do you think about Turkey, though? All right. Okay. That's the end of that. All right, Garen. Well, thank you for calling. I sense that you want to talk more. Yes. All right. I'll give you that. Okay. I'm going to bring up the topic, and I'm going to let you just kind of tell me what you think. Okay. First topic is the Del Mar Fair. The Del Mar Fair. Is awesome. What's awesome about it? It has some awesome rides. All right. Can you name one? Can you name an awesome ride there? What? Can you name an awesome ride there? Yeah. There's like this one that like turns while it's going up and down. It's awesome. Okay. Let me ask you something else about the fair. What? I say.
Let me ask you something else about the fair. When you're walking through the area where they have the games that you play, where you throw darts at stuff, when you're walking through that area, do you feel that that is a scam and that those games are not very winnable? And that even if they are, the prize does not meet the satisfaction level that somebody pays. to play the game. What are your thoughts on that, Garen? Well, it's kind of cheap that they would do that. They're really rude. Yeah, I think so too. I think they're rude. I don't really pay attention to that part of the Del Mar Fair. You don't really play the games and stuff? No, I only go on the rides and eat a lot of cotton candy and get sick from the cotton candy. You do get sick from the cotton candy.
A lot of times, yeah. Let me ask you, do you have any supervision while you're there at that Del Mar fair? Yeah, my mom usually comes with me. All right, cool. What's her name? Her name is Debbie. All right. I hope she's cool to you, nice to you. She is. She doesn't abuse me. Okay, good. That's a good thing. It's always a bonus. Lucky. Always a bonus. What's that like? I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I love my mom. I love my mom. I love my mom. I absolutely know what he's needing. Oh, here we go. And there we go. All right, Karen, well, thank you. And, you know, if you can, just take the time today to take a look. I say thank you for the call, and also take the time today, if you can, to just go up to your mom and say, Mom, I love you, and I thank you for being such a good mom. Okay. All right, thanks. We'll see you later, Garen. I learned a lot from that call, that's for sure. Yeah. I learned that, you know, carnies can be cheap. I learned that... And rude. And rude. I learned that, you know, cotton candy is okay, but only in, you know, kind of moderation. Yeah. You know? Controlled doses. Controlled doses. And I learned that Thanksgiving time, I can still consider myself a vegetarian. Yeah.
Those are things that we've all learned here this morning. I've also learned that first gay marriage will be taking place in 30 minutes. Oh, wow. That's right. And so that's why Boston Rob won't be back until 10 a.m. Once he's wed legally, then he'll come back and be really nice to see him again. Precious. Precious. Darling. Here's what we have on the show for you. We actually have a pretty full show. We've got... First of all, I've got to give you this audio of Al Gore. He's obviously endorsing Obama, and so we've got the audio of him doing that. That should be interesting. I saw Dr. Phil out in front of the radio station. Oh, no. He's putting up sandbags all around the radio station, which I'm like, I know. I don't know what that's about. Do you think we're in Iowa? Well, I tried to talk to him, and I said, Dr. Phil, what are you doing? And he just screamed at me, Shut up! Not to bother him. And he went back to sandbagging. So who knows what that's all about. Better safe than sorry. Better safe than sorry, I guess. Yeah, definitely. The Mikey Show has a new game today. Oh, no. Shut the front door. I mean, are you kidding me with this? Oh, no. In the 7 a.m. hour, we're going to play a brand new game with P1s. Oh. With P1s.
So it's going to be awesome. And call us, 570-1053. Our text number, 35253. And Jerry Seinfeld in the stand-up spotlight. I was at the post office today. That's a true thing. And I'm waiting online now. What is the thing in the post office with the wanted posters on the walls? You're standing there. You're going to mail a package. They're showing you killers, murderers, thieves. What do they want us to do about it at the post office? Right, the guy? Do people rip these off the wall, go up to the counter? Yeah, give me a book of stamps and a search warrant. I'm going after this guy. I had it up to here with his activities. I'll tell you my main question about these wanted posters on the wall. Why didn't they hold on to this guy when they're taking his picture? Rock 105.3. The fair is on now, and today is Dollar Day. Buy your Dollar Day fair edition ticket only at San Diego County Ralphs.

The Mikey Show continues with Mikey. When I was eight years old, I kissed our dog on the mouth. Eddie. Take a look at this. Adonis body. Save that clip. Sean. I love it when black people make fun of white people. Boston Rob. I'm not a chick. Come on, lady. And Ashley. I am Freaklit Finicky Handwasher. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Kidding me? Welcome back. It's six. 41. Amy Winehouse fainted yesterday outside her London home and was taken to the hospital. Padres are going to be taking on the Yankees tonight in Yankee Stadium. Randy Wolf taking on Andy Pettit. When do the Lakers and the Celtics play again? Tonight. Game six. In Boston, right? In Boston? No, I think it's in L.A., right? No, no, no. Is it in Boston? Yeah, back in Boston for the last two games. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
35253 is our text number. Here are some of the texts we're getting. Mikey, I completely agree with Rob. Taking my socks off after a hard day's work is one of my favorite parts of the day. That's P1 Crazy Fists. Yeah, dude. That's what I'm saying. There's no doubt about it, Rob. Taking your socks off does feel great, but there's something to be said for sandals. No, there isn't. What is there to be said? It's comfortable. Yeah, you get the airflow all day. Yeah, you don't have to feel confined. In fact, you get to feel that same sense of relief that you feel when you take your socks off all day long. Sandals are the number one cause and the leading cause in stubbed toes. It's the number one and the leading cause. It's Texas Morning, guys. I was wondering if you could tell us about the opening song. Who is it? And why you chose it? Thanks, you guys are dynamite. That's P1 Timmy T. I so appreciate when people do the thing where they bring dynamite back. We've been trying to bring it back here on the Mikey Show. Now, you think they're talking about the song that we play as we start? That one? Not that one, right? Because sometimes people get confused. The opening. The opening song is by Buddy Guy.
And it's called Baby, Please Don't Leave Me. And why do we play it? Because it sounds cool. We like it. And, you know, the other thing is that we won't play that thing forever. And a lot of people that, like Sky, is not a proponent of change. No, thank you. Sky is not a proponent of change. I am your classic Gemini. I'm your classic Gemini, you know, the two sides. So I am very uncomfortable with change, yet it is necessary in my life. I have to have it. I have to have it. But I'm uncomfortable with it. But that's going to change eventually. It'll probably take a few years. And one day I'll wake up and I'll go, man, that ain't right. Or I'll hear something that really makes me think, man, that is right right there. That's got to be the new open. Mikey, Sean should know caffeine withdrawal causes headaches. Drink a soda, man. That's P1 Pepperhead. Only thing is, Sean's been off the soda pop now for a long time, right? Long time. Yeah. He's been off it for a long time. Mikey, what is the area code for your phone number? I'm assuming he means my home phone number. That's 760. Whoa. Not for long.
The rest of it is 925. Let's see. The area code I would assume you mean is the request line. You can use any area code in San Diego County, 858-619-760. And Sky will be bothered by the fact that soon 760 will not work anymore. It'll be 421, right? I don't care to remember what it's going to be. Sky don't like it. Is that what it is? I don't know. She's against it. Whatever it is, it's stupid. So here is the deal. The first San Diego gay wedding will take place at 7 a.m. Hey. Nice. That's fun. But Seth is here. That's right. Tom Faulkner and Bob Lehman cut 37. It's exciting. It's thrilling. It's something I never thought I had the opportunity to do. So it's a very emotional day for us. Well, I think it's huge. I didn't know that I'd ever see that we'd have the freedom to marry in my lifetime even. There you go. Wait, a gay guy emotional? I don't know. It doesn't make sense. This is a San Diego County clerk talking about them being ready. Cut 38. We just wanted to make sure that we had as enough staff here as possible to make sure the public was treated with all couples, treated with dignity, respect, and minimize the weight as much as possible.
There it is. Yeah, so the first wedding today, the guys we heard, one of them is a retired Marine Corps sergeant. Oh, wow. Which I'm sure makes the Marine Corps very good. Don't ask, don't tell. Do not ask, don't tell. Semper Fi. They've been in a committed relationship for 15 years, and they will be one of about 200 couples getting, same-sex couples getting married today in San Diego. 200? 200. Wow. Sounds gay. Wow. A hundred more people, and Leonidas will take them all into battle. There's going to be a lot of receptions tonight. That's right. That's a party. Party. Yeah. P1 Uprising is on the line. Hey, what's up, Mikey? Not too much, dude. What's up? Well, my parents are in Savannah, Georgia right now on, like, I guess a second honeymoon kind of thing at a bed and breakfast, and they went to Paula Deen's restaurant out there. On Saturday, and they were telling me it's amazing. Oh, well, I'm glad they went on Saturday. Why, Skye? Well, because on Sunday it caught on fire. What? So they had some good timing. Yeah, about right before 11 o'clock at night on Sunday, some greasy rags caught on fire. And caught the restaurant on fire. They say, you know, there was damage, but luckily it was minimal. Are we talking about lady and sons? Everybody's okay.
I wonder what restaurant. She probably has a couple. Yeah, that's her big one. Says the one in Savannah. Did the place burn to the ground? No, no. They said there was damage, but thankfully it was minimal. That's good. So they'll really just have to repair it, patch it back up. Yeah, yeah. P1 Tara. Yeah. What's up? What's up? What's going on? I was watching with my honey on Saturday night, TV late at night, about 1030 or so. Yeah. was The Best of Bonnaroo Part 1. Nice. Yeah, how was it? We just caught the last, like, eight minutes or so because we were scanning. So they were just showing what Dave Matthews was doing on stage. I couldn't really watch it because Dave Matthews, like, nails on a freaking chalkboard. Sit well with Skye. Not one darn bit. Not one darn bit. A couple days ago. What? What are you talking about? Nothing. Go ahead. Well, wait a second. We heard that, though, on the radio, what you just said. We heard it on the radio. What? Well, I believe this is the same caller who called in a couple days ago and was not very friendly. About what? What was she calling about? I don't know, but she was, like, on attack mode straight out of the gate. I think I felt like she was trying to be a part of the boys' club. Yeah, and attack the girls. I see. Tara, were you on our side, the guy's side? You know, the right side? Oh, shut up.
Well, no, it wasn't really taking sides. That was just a personal opinion. And no, I didn't call the other day. I see. Well, there you go. I really like Bonnaroo's, by the way, when they're chocolate covered. But I like them with milk. Bonnaroo's are just delicious. You never had a Bonnaroo? I had one removed from the bottom of my foot. Yeah, they hurt. They really hurt. I keep mine in my freezer. I don't know if you've tried that. They say that you could freeze them. It works. I like it. It's up to you. Thank you very much for the call, Tara. No problem, boys. Have a good day. Oh, that's the best. That is the best. Wow. Awesome. Hey, check this out, man. This is a weird story. Javon Walker, right? He used to play for the Packers, then he played for the Denver Broncos, and now he's a Raider, right? Yeah, just signed with the Raiders this year. Dude was found unconscious on a Las Vegas street. Oh. Yeah. Apparently, it was a victim of a robbery. What? Really? And has, like, pretty significant injuries. What happened, dude? Like, they don't know. Like, residential street or, like, the strip? Or what are we talking? It didn't say. It just said Las Vegas Street. I don't know what that means. Wow.
But, yeah, the police are looking into it. I did read, like, that previous night he was partying up big time at a club and spraying the crowd with champagne and lots of drinking and partying. That's crazy! That, you know, made him an easier target or had anything to do with it. Aye, aye, aye. Yeah. Wow. When did that happen, Eddie? I think it was over the weekend. What's weird to me is Javon was the, you know, he was the guy that was... involved with the death of the Denver Broncos. Darren Williams? Darren Williams? Darren Williams. Where he was shot after a night of partying. They were in a limousine. And Javon was in there in the limousine. And, you know, so it's a really odd situation that he's involved in another really random act of violence. Amy Winehouse fainted and was taken to the hospital. Yeah, she was outside her home in London, and I guess a group of fans were in town from Canada and, you know, were out there all day wanting autographs. So she went outside to give them all autographs, and her assistant was with her, and she just passed out. And luckily her assistant was standing right there and caught her before she hit the ground, you know, because that's how lots of times you get really bad injuries when you faint is when you hit the ground. And so she was taken to the hospital just as a precaution. There it is.
Let's see. On Showbiz Tonight, George Takai was asked about Brad Pitt's comments that he and Angelina Jolie won't get married until gays can get married. Cut 11. Brad Pitt has said that he and Angelina Jolie will not marry until everybody who wants to marry is legally able to do so. Now that California has granted that right, is that good enough? Or should they hold off until every state? Well, having taken that principal position, I think they should be consistent to it. And, you know, there are a lot of Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie fans all over the country. And it's now up to them to make sure that Brad and Angelina are not living in sin. Support the situation by not working on my abs until Fight Club is released on high-definition DVD. Wow, that is shocking. To support Brad. I appreciate that. Do you like my cowboy boots? They're very odd. I don't like the tassels. Very bright.
You don't like the tassels? No, I like traditional. A little much. That's the point, though, is the tassels. Well, I don't know. Let's get this party started. I'm coming out, so we better get this party started. You came out a long time ago. I thought this was going to be the announcement. No. Our text number is 35253. And our phone number is 570-1053. Apparently, Dr. Phil is done with the sandbags out in front of the radio station, so who knows what's up with them. We will find out. When we come back, I'm going to tell you what the title of the new Metallica album is. When we come back. Don't go away. Hey, Mikey. I just want to say I love this show. I listen to you guys every single day. Hey, I'm going to AM, PM. What do you want?
I'll take two hot dogs, beef jerky, four bags of Doritos, a disposable camera, chewing gum, and a newspaper. Isn't that a bit much? A bit much? A bit much like the swimsuit edition? Oh, do you mean a bit much like a private jet in a vacation home in Maui? I think a bit much sounds pretty good. You're right. Let's make it a lot much. All right. I was just asking. You can never have too much good stuff. AM, PM. Too much good stuff. Hey, burger lovers. Looking to get something for nothing? Now's your chance. No surprise here, Al Gore officially endorsed Barack Obama yesterday. In the middle of the night, the Mets fire their manager, Willie Randolph. A 20. We would recognize it in a candidate who, in response to those doubting our ability to solve the climate crisis and create a bright future, inspired millions to say.
Yes, we can. We have such a nominee. We have such a leader. Yes, we can. Ladies and gentlemen, the next president of the United States of America, Barack Obama. This guy is in full support. Let me get this straight. Go ahead, Eddie. He waits until Barack gets the nomination to throw his support behind Barack. Yes. That is so weak. Typical Democrat. What are you talking about? Why didn't he support him before when he was going head-on, head-to-head with Hillary? Yeah, I mean, this is just me, but I have a feeling that Al Gore would endorse any Democratic candidate or any nominee, I should say, that supports the global warming issue. Why didn't he say that before then? Hillary supports it too, though. But why would he want to endorse Hillary and then what if Hillary is out of the race and then Al Gore's endorsement goes to...
There it goes. Well, you could say that about anybody that endorses anybody. That's the point of the endorsement. Well, yes, he wants to save it when it's going to have the most impact, which is right now. He could have, if he had chosen Hillary, he could have given her his support, and it could have led to her getting the nomination. Whoever his real support was, he should have thrown. His support behind a long time ago. They both had, you know, issues on the environment and global warming. So I think he probably would have been happy with either of them. And now that it's Obama, here you go. Here's all my support. Here's all my voters. I get that. He sure is making it sound like he believes in Barack Obama. That's for sure. Yeah, he sure does. But wasn't he the vice president of Bill Clinton? That is true, Eddie. That is true. So what does that mean? I didn't think that he would have some sort of loyalty to that policy, you know. Well, she didn't get the nomination. I mean, what is she going to do? Cry about it? Then are you saying that when Bill Clinton was in office, Hillary really didn't have any experience with that administration? I didn't say anything even close to that. I'm just curious if you feel that way, though. No, I do not feel that way. So you feel that when Bill Clinton was in office that Hillary actually was a part of it and she had something to learn from it and to gain from it. Yeah. Wow.
Well, that's interesting because if that is the case, you would think Al Gore would say, man, I was a part of that administration. I believed in what that administration did. I support Hillary. You would think they'd be on the same page. Well, but she's not the nominee. She could have been. She could have been. She could have been. If Al Gore would have thrown his support behind her a long time ago, that made us wait some voting. All you greenies, all you greenies, man. All you greenies would have said, oh, we got to get by Hillary. If Al Gore had just endorsed Hillary from the get-go, Hillary would be the nominee right now. Mr. Prius says that the nominee is Hillary. Johnny Icecaps over here. That's right. Really silly. Just because your guy's so old. Polly Polar Bear. Is that all you got? He's on death's door. He doesn't care about bringing our troops home. That's your boy. Gaga Glacier. Do you smell what Barack is cooking? I do, and it smells good. There it is.
It smells handsome and well-spoken. Yes, it does, Mike. It does. It sure does. Skye, what is the name of the new Metallica album? The new Metallica album, which is... St. Happy. St. Happy? It's a follow-up. It's a follow-up. Going through all the emotions. The new Metallica album, which is expected out in September, has been titled Death Magnetic. Oh, boy. Oh, man. Wow. Did George Lucas name it? It is so bad. Oh, wow. I should have called it St. Bashful. I would have been down with St. Bashful. That would have been better, probably. Terrible. Man, everybody's still looking at their radio. Right. They should let, you know. Other people do that. Like, cool people. Like, wouldn't it have been cool if it was just Metallica? Yeah. Yeah. What about that? They've already done that, though. You know, it's like, you know, oh, they have? You can't do it again? Yeah, you could do it Metallica, too. Junior. Junior. Number nine. Esquire. All right, tell me what you think of this email. Mikey, I'm furious with my wife. She made me go see that stupid Sex and the City movie last week. So good.
I asked her to go see The Hulk with me this weekend, and she said it looked stupid and wouldn't go. Oh, well, what the fuck? He says, what's up with that? He says, how do I get her to go to my kind of movies? It's P1 Crank with a K. I don't know, man. I mean, how do you do it? I think what you do is you enlist the help of a professional. If you're going to talk to me, you're going to have to be honest. This is going to be a changing day in your life. You just say gay marriage? That was really strange. That young man is my biggest fan right there. Maybe he didn't understand. I'm Dr. Phil.
Got my sleeves rolled up here, and I'm ready to get in there and get to work on this thing. I heard what was said. This woman made him go see that sex in the city, and then she won't go see the Hulk with him. What's up with that, Dr. Phil? It was terrible. This happened to me in the past, by the way. Oh, yeah? It was actually in the late 80s. I was dating Susanna Hoffs. She was the lead singer of the Bengals. You were dating? Yes, I was. Really? Susanna Hoffs. I was, Eddie. And I really, I wanted to see fried green tomatoes. She wanted to see Rambo First Blood Part 2. Wait, that doesn't make any sense. So what happened was we fought about it and it ultimately led to us breaking up. Oh, that's terrible. I saw tomatoes by myself. I'll tell you what, I'm glad I did. Right? So good. Kathy Bates is a kick in the pants, isn't she? She is really good. Listen, y'all. Here's what you need to do. Take her to see Sex and the City, all right, and bring along some treats for her. What do you mean? Well, what I mean by that is...
Replace the junior mints with chocolate-flavored laxatives, okay? Everyone stop. Pause. Stop. Slow down. Whoa. Whoop-dee-doodle. Listen to me. You're going to get about 20 minutes into that chick nightmare, and she's going to be doing the Tijuana two-step right out of her chair. You guys will be home before you know it. Just make sure you put a little towel on the seat. Do you know what most people don't understand? What? Is that all women, and Sky and Ashley will agree with this, all women are hypocritical killjoys. They may not agree, but it's true. It's a part of their anatomy. It's a chemical in their brain. It's called killjoy juice. He's a doctor, guys. He knows what he's talking about. Killjoy secretion that happens, and it's released whenever something cools nearby. Now, sky. Oh, my gosh. No, you don't want to accept that. Neither do you, Ashley, but it's science homes, all right? I've heard of that. I've heard of that, Dr. Phil. You're a doctor, man. You're a smart, wise man. First of all, P1 whatever, whatever his name was, I just want to say this. Right. With a K. All right. Now, let me tell you something.
If you're surprised that your wife didn't want to see the Hulk, then you should have your head examined, okay? As should she. They're not capable of understanding the human joy that can be had here, okay? That you can get from watching a roided out muscle head smashing things to dust with a bat, okay? No, hold on. He's not roided out. Plus, they don't understand the Hulk either. I was just saying. I was just saying. Both are fun. Both are fun. Nice topic. Both are fun. Both are good. I don't know about that. If I ever told you about the time, it was actually just a few weeks back, when my wife and I adopted an Ethiopian kid. You did not. Really? Doctor. We were at the Four Seasons in Honolulu browsing the internet. What are you talking about? And about two hours later, we realized neither of us had the time to devote to being parents, so we gave him to Madonna.
Wow. Okay. My point is that adopting kids is something that my wife likes to do, okay? That's her hobby. It's not necessarily my hobby. Right. My hobbies are kite burning and learning to become a master locksmith. What are you talking about? That is strange. Kite burning? You've never done it? Well, no. You buy a beautiful kite and then you just... Set it ablaze. That's really odd. I also enjoy craps. Anyway. Dr. Phil, please. My wife, Eddie, listen. My wife, she can't expect me to always want to adopt kids, okay? Even if Madonna's willing to take them a few hours after we decide to get them. She can't expect me to be into that like she is, okay? One of these days, Madonna's not going to pick up her cell phone. And then we're a couple of ham s'mores at Sky's Campfire, if you catch my meaning. I don't even know what that means. It means we're in trouble. It means we're getting eaten by Sky.
Plus, Sarah Jessica Parker movies are vastly underrated. I thought she was pretty funny as Ace Ventura. Wasn't that her? I thought she was the pet detective. You know what you're doing. Come on. She was also very touching as that little girl who found E.T. in the closet. Remember when she was like, oh, she got so scared. She was wearing a little baseball cap. That's Drew Barrymore. And I was like, oh, she grew up to be such a fine actress, Sarah Jessica Parker. Drew Barrymore. Yeah. It's different people. Well, either way, she sounds like a wonderful person. Well. If there's one thing women are good at, and you know this guy and Ashley, it's bringing the room down. Now, let me tell you something. Hang on now, y'all are just overreacting. My wife is so good at bringing a room down, she actually hires herself out for demolition duty. What she does... Oh, I'm sure she does. Instead of a team of men that set explosives around a structure, she just shows up there, starts complaining, and... Wow. Yeah, I'm sure. I know that's something that we can all relate to. Just a few slow spots coming out of Escondido for one from Valley Parkway down past Felicita. Coming out of Santee, you've got some slow traffic on that 52 from the 125 turn and heading up the hill. And over on the south, 805, you've got some slow traffic headed past 43rd Street. And the northbound side is a little sluggish as you head into Kearney Mesa. About from the 163 up to the 52. This is Mike Hancock with Traffic on Rock 105.3. I'm going to tell you about a career working for the government. Many of you have probably thought to yourself, you know what? Working for the government would probably be pretty cool. It would probably get some pretty cool fringe benefits from working for the government. And the truth is that you're right. The only thing is that it doesn't happen very often. And the Border Patrol is hiring right now. So you really should be getting on this. BorderPatrol.gov. It will give you all the information.
And if you go down, it doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman, you can be working for the Border Patrol in a job that's exciting. And I've talked to these guys, man. They've told me that working for the Border Patrol is... Eddie, what is it? They said working for the Border Patrol is... The Bob! That's right. They've actually... They have said that. Take our word for it. Get on your little intra-wagon or whatever it's called. The inner... The inner slope. The inner web. The inner web. And browse this up. Border Patrol dot gov. Wow. Whoa. Really? Yes. Oh, my. To the Mikey Show with Mikey. I'm a little old man. Nice to meet you. Eddie. I always am in the mood for waffles. Sky. I am a hypochondriac when it comes to my cats. Sean. I'm really into 70s B actors. Little Miss Boston Rob. I'm not a chick. Wow.
Yes, you are. And Ashley. It's really hard for me to watch difficult movies. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. It's not we're all nervous. I'm nervous. I'm nervous. You're nervous? You're very nervous. What are you nervous about? What are you guys nervous about? Everything. Listen. Anytime we do something first time, man, it's nerve-wracking. Yeah, but I'm a pro. Welcome to 723. Prosecutors say they will not press charges against Britney Spears for running over a photographer's foot. Former La Costa Canyon star Chase Budinger will stay put at Arizona for his junior year and not enter the NBA draft. Okay, we're going to play. No, no. Don't even. Come on. We can't even say this. We've got an open. Now it's time for P1 Password. Yes, it's time to play. Yes. P1 Password. Yes, it's time.
To play P1 Password on the Mikey Show. This is P1 Password. You're darn right it is. I love it. Keep it simple is what we've always said. It's our motto. It's our motto. This is the way P1 Password works. First of all, the TV show Password is back on television. With Regis. Are you ready for this? That's right. Regis Philbin. Regis Philbin. Now. We had a blast doing it in the office. That's all I'm going to tell you. That's all that matters, Mike. We were doing it in the office. You should have just recorded us in the office. I know. Because we loved playing it. Now, first of all, you have to explain the way the word, the game password works. And I'm not going to. I'm not. You're not even going to take it out. You probably should. No, no, no, no. I'm going to let Eddie do it. Eddie, explain how.
Password works. Basically, how password works is you have two people that play. One person gives clues. One person guesses. And you have to guess what a word is. You have three different clues you can give with three different answers until you get the right answer. You have to get five words out of seven within a minute, 30 seconds. So you can pass twice if you want. And you can get two wrong if you want. Okay. If that happens. Should we do maybe a simple example for the audience? Sure. Should I use one that we already have? I mean, you don't have to. You can just make it real simple just so they get the flow of it. Just make one up. Okay. Let's do that. But the audience, the problem is that... Okay. There's a word. Iron. I know you did. I'm sorry. I just want the... Okay. Iron. The word is iron. Okay, go, Eddie. So I would say clothes. Pin. Wrinkles. Iron. There you go. Oh, you're a genius. There you go. See, the game is how well can you communicate, not just with what you're saying, but how you're saying it. How does your voice go? You know, like you go, you know, like let's say the word was pepper. If you go salt. Right.
It's all about the fluctuation. It's about the fluctuation. Full fluctuation. All right. Now, when we do this, we are going to let P1s play. So call us right now, 570-1053. Oh, man. Yeah, call us right now, 570-1053, and we are going to communicate to the P1s. P1s just have to guess what the word is. Now, really cool thing is that we have all of the words recorded, and you in your car as you're driving right now or listening at work or at home, you're going to hear what the word is. that we're trying to communicate, but the person on the phone can't hear it. Right. All right? Cool. So call us right now, and let's give it a shot. Our first contestant is going to be P1 Don. Don, how are you? Mikey, how are you? I'm good, man. Where are you from? I'm from San Diego, Point Loma, dude. Very nice, very nice. How old are you? I'm 46. What do you do for a living, bro? Dude, I'm a partner in a limo company. There you go, man. So, Don, you remember the old password? Absolutely. Nice. All right, cool. Now, Don, you have your radio off. You can't be anywhere by your radio. I'm in my living room, TV, radio, everything off. Okay, cool. Perfect. Now, what we're going to do is we're going to reach into a hat, and we're going to pull out a name of a show member, and that person is going to be the one that is going to be trying to communicate to you. What you have to do is get five words out of seven correct in a minute and a half. Yeah. You got it?
Okay. Okay. Sky, are you going to pull it? Oh, I got it. Here we go. Here we go. Oh, gosh. The official bucket or what do we got? Yeah, we got a bucket over here from Costco. Yes. And the name is Sean. Oh, come on. Sean, are you going to be able to do it and run sound effects? I don't think so. Nope. I don't want to do Sean. Okay, Sean, you're out. Okay. That's good. Yes. I want to play. I won't mess it up. I've picked a name. The name is Mike. Oh! I'm getting in the zone, bro. I can do this. Yeah, you can. You totally can. Okay, are you ready? No, the thing's popped out so he can't hear. Yeah, yeah, he can't hear. The audience is going to be able to hear these words that I'm trying to communicate. I get three words to communicate this word. So you just have to guess what I'm trying to say, all right? Mike, you can pass up to two times. Yeah, if I'm getting frustrated with him not doing it, I can pass. Can he pass, Eddie?
Yeah, he can pass. All right. Are you ready, Don? Let's do it. Let's start the timer. Newspaper. Sunday. Monday. Information. Oh, man. Boob. Say that again. Boob. Okay. Cylinder. Ground. Pass. Oh, no. Goodbye. Button. Hall. Sleeves. Shirt. Yep. Yes. Sport. Hockey. Referee. Sport. Yes. Corn. Colonel. Major. Movies. Oh, my goodness. My next thing was going to be, the next word I was going to use would be buttery. What would you have said? Pop.
That's right. I'm sorry, bro, but you lost, and I lost right along with you. Sorry about that, man. Oh, that was crazy. That was fun, but boob tube. That was... Boob tube. He's like, bra? P1 Uncle Albert is on the line. Oh, my boy. Uncle Albert, how are you? I'm good, good. Okay, man, are you ready to play? I am. Okay, I got to draw a name out of the hat for you to play with. This is terrible. Oh, no. Ashley, are you ready to play? I am. Oh, man. Okay, are you ready, Uncle Albert? You can do it, Ashley. I am. We got this. You guys have a minute and a half. Are you ready? Yep. Begin. Tweezer. Eyebrows. Plucking. Nose hair.
Uh, tweezers. You got it. Keyboard. Typing. Bubble tunnel. Um, um, the alphabet. It's supposed to be a word, right? You can only do one word. Oh, uh, um, computer. Keyboard. Yup, you got it. Mustache. Home. Makeup. Celic. Okay. Candle. Nope. Pass. Nope. Blanket. Uh, warm. Summer. Soft. Light bulb. Oh, you can't. You can't pass. You can't pass. Sorry, bro. So hard. Oh, this is brutal. I thought you did good. Yeah, I thought you did really good, Ash. All right, we're doing one more. We're doing one more. I mean, wick, wax, fire. Who is this? Oh, that's tough, you guys. Who is this? P1 Stitch Lover. P1 Stitch Lover. Are you ready? I'm ready. All right, we're drawing a name. This is fun, though. Skye. Come on.
Sky is good at this game. Sky? Sky and Eddie are the best. Are you ready? I will do my best. You got to get five out of seven words. Okay? Okay. And you can only give one word clues. You got to remember that. Okay. And they can only give one word answers because all the answers are one word. Right. So it's one word clues, one word answers. My heart's beating fast. You got to get five out of seven. Good luck. Five out of seven. We're going to do great, Stitch lover. Begin. Light bulb. Incandescent. Do. Illuminate. Light. Lamp. Light bulb. Yes. Pond. Fish. Water. Boat. Bracelet. Wrist. Chair. Jewelry. Accessories. Wrist. Pants. Nope. Strong. Weak. Are they allowed to pass? Can't pass anymore.
Say it again. Muscles. Strong. Yes. Yes. Stethoscope. Doctor. Appointment. Heart. Checkup. Instrument. Stethoscope. Yes. Clock. Time. Watch. Ticking. Stop. Stopwatch. Wall. It was right there. It was right there. The word was clock. And the wrist one was bracelet. Come on. Wrist jewelry? Listen, I got to give you a prize because Sky did a good job. You did a good job. It was as close as it comes. Hang on the line, will you? Okay. Wow. Dang it. Wow. That is a fun and difficult game. All right. We got to take a quick time out. When we come back. Don't go away. When we come back.

Mikey, I bought a Simmons Beautyrest Cunningham pillow top over at Sleep Train two weeks ago, and it was just an amazing experience. The salesperson gave me 10% off. before he even knew I was in there for the Mikey show. And then I used the Ace card and said, oh, Mikey told me to come in, and I got an additional 10. So all in all, I saved 20% on the mattress. And I bought it at Mission Valley at 11 o'clock. They had it delivered and installed in Chula Vista by 2.30 on the same day. That's rad. And what's even more amazing, since it was a Cunningham pillow top, it was personally...
personally delivered by Richie Cunningham and Patsy Weber. It was just an amazing experience. That's awesome. Hey, how do you like sleeping on it? It's amazing. I've never had any problems sleeping before, but with the new mattress, it's even better. It's completely amazing. I would recommend sleep training to all the P1s out there. The Catholic diocese in Rome has denied the Da Vinci Code prequel from filming in two of their churches. Tiger did it. It took 19 holes and sudden death, but Tiger was able to be Rocko-mediate for the U.S. Open, his 14th major title. Oh. I'll tell you what. Ashley's boyfriend.
is a saint. Because he told her that her sauce tasted homemade. Eddie just... Eddie just... Eddie just had a look. He is in love. He's in love with her. He said it was the best... It was the best meal that I've by far ever made him. He was blown away, this guy. Awesome. For real. Let's mark the date as June 17th of 08. And we'll go ahead and check in on that comment June 17th of... So Sean is talking to the 7-Eleven dude again. Oh, your friends again? He's like my best friend. Now, is this the one that you yelled at when he worked at the gas station? No, no, no. This is the guy that I like. Different guy. It's the one that the other guy, the one that I hate, he works Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and then my dude works Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. You must be so happy on those days.
I don't even go on Monday anymore. Sean just doesn't go to the 7-Eleven on Monday. It's like we're enemies. Because he tried to force you to buy a banana. You're enemies. Well, he's the one that's holding the grudge. Okay. Well, he wasn't holding the grudge. I mean, you yelled at him for selling you a banana. No, he wasn't selling me a banana. He was forcing me to purchase a banana. He was putting you in banana check. That's a fact. It's like a penalty box. Sean just turned the camera. Don't sign off of that thing. Sick of it. Well, this new guy, this guy that Sean really likes, you know, he was telling Sean where to go for the best Indian food. Well, I asked him, I said, where do you go? Because he's, you know, he's Indian, he's a vegetarian. So I wanted to know, like, where the...
And he goes, why do you assume that I like Indian food? So he eats turkey then. Exactly. No, actually, no meat at all. Was he offended by your question? No, not at all. You know, because if somebody came up to me and they were like, so Mikey, you know, what's the best place for Mexican food? Be like, well, why are you asking me that? Because you're Mexican, you know. I just figured you had beans in your blood, you know. So what did he tell you? He said that he actually, he doesn't go out to eat because they make like the Indian food too spicy in restaurants. So he makes it himself. Yeah, Sean didn't like, you don't like spicy food. No, not at all. And so, and then he goes, he goes, tell you what, I'll bring, I'll bring you some. You'll taste mine. And I went, oh, okay. And I went, oh, no. Oh, Sean. Who knows, because Sean's a germaphobe and thinks everything's filthy. And so imagine, Sean, somebody cooking with pots and pans and utensils that you have no idea the cleanliness of them. But it'll be an insult to him for you to not eat the food that he makes for you. And it would also be very insulting for you to take the food and leave.
to let him assume that you'll eat it later. That would be wrong, too. No, no, no. Absolutely right. It would really be insulting. I don't think he'll want me to taste it right now. I think that he would definitely want you to taste it so that you can tell him how delicious it is. Look at Sean. He's not happy with that one at all. Now he's in a dilemma. What would you do? What would you do with that? I'm serious. I don't know what to do. Sky? I think he just needs to chance it and hope that the guy will let him take the food and give him a critique the next day. But that's insulting. That's not insulting. I have a suggestion. You're full at 4 o'clock in the morning? You just brushed. I don't know. I'm thinking. You just brushed. Yes. Oh. Yes.
He doesn't understand that. Why can't you tell him, since he's your best friend, that you're a germaphobe? And then he can respectfully accept that. Because he's already acknowledged that it would be great if he cooked for him. He went through this whole process of making Sean a meal. Exactly. You know, Sean, why don't you just be a freak and eat the Dean food? It's one take. Yeah, definitely. I'm not being a freak. It's just you don't know what's going on in there. What do you mean you don't know what's going on? What do you think you're going to get? You don't know what's going on in that kitchen. You don't know how clean everything is. I get that, Sean. What do you think, a camel sleeping in the pots and pans? Is that what you think, Sean? No, I don't think that at all. But it could be a situation where there's like debris and spots. I mean, you know about that. I don't know what you're talking about. Sean and me. That's a passive-aggressive comment towards Eddie. I don't even know what he's talking about. He stayed at your house one time. He thought your utensils had water spots on them. They did have water spots on them. They came out of the dishwasher. There was spots plus stuff. There was no stuff. I wouldn't have to eat off them if there was stuff plus stuff on them. That's so stupid. What kind of stuff? Like what? What are we talking about? Debris. A piece of wood. Driftwood.
Driftwood. I'm so stupid. I didn't say Driftwood. Yeah. But, you know, I don't know. New Jersey license plate. Yeah. Stuck to the fork. Really strange. Small Asian boy. Yeah. There was flex and bits and stuff. There were no flex and bits on my utensils. Is that dog food? That's disgusting. I wouldn't eat like that. Respectfully, there were. Respectfully, there weren't. I was there. Well, you know, with respect, you know, unbelievable amounts. It's definitely, there's, It's disrespectful that you're saying that. But with respect. But he said with respect, though. It's the opposite of respect. He's already said, though. But he said with respect. He stayed at my house. He stayed at my house, and he's acting like a jerk. Respectfully. Respectfully. Respectfully. Yes, with all due respect. Which means you've earned respect, you're due the respect, and so with that being said, lots of debris. Lots of debris. But there were no debris on my utensils. Well, okay. You know, not true, but okay. It is true. Wow. P1 Talon is on the line. Go ahead, Talon. Hey, Sean, I just have a suggestion for you. What? Just tell them that you're in a rush.
You don't have time to taste a bit. Yeah, well, hang on a second. I know you're in a hurry and everything, but, you know, I did prepare this for you at home. Oh, no, no, yeah, totally, I understand, but I... Oh, no, no, no, no, no, I insist, please, please, I made this, my wife made this with her own hands, and so I beg of you, please, this is an insult to my coach, if you leave right now. Tell you what, I'll try it in front of you tomorrow, but for now, I... Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, please, if you leave at this moment, you will be breaking... My heart, you will kill me inside. I don't think he's going to say that. This is to put to death my spirit if you do this, if you leave right now. That's not going to happen. P1 Michelle is on the line. Michelle, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Go ahead. Why are you afraid of his cooking if you're asking him for a restaurant? Half the restaurants you're asking about are going to be nastier than his wife's cooking. Trust me. What do you think of that, Sean? Well, I think that restaurants are more of a controlled environment than someone's kitchen. Not unless somebody's looking, man. Who knows what... Because, Sean, you don't get to observe what they're doing in any given kitchen that you visit at a restaurant. Yeah, but I think I've worked my way through the whole, like, restaurant thing. It doesn't really...
That doesn't bother me necessarily. But what does bother me is what someone will be doing in their own private kitchen. What do you think they're going to do? You mean by that, Sean, do you mean a stranger Indian that works at 7-Eleven offering to make you homemade food? Is that what you mean? I think that's what I mean. That's weird. Yeah, I understand. P1 Dante is on the line. Hey, Mike, it's P1 Dante. What's going on, dude? Hey, man, I've been a P1 for four years now. And I've got to say, I've never heard the story of why Sean's a germaphobe. Sean. He does not like to talk about this. It's okay. It's okay. Sean, a traumatic. Come on. Sean rolling his eyes. I got to know at least a story. It's okay. Look, once upon a time, someone... It's a bedtime story? Someone said something to me about my... Personal hygiene. Oh, no. It was a mean girl. It was a girl. And I'm sure she was wrong. She was wrong. She was an awful woman to him. Very mean person. And so from that point on, you know, it was an issue. So he had issues. And it snowballed. Yeah. And so what he did was, you know, he started to, you know, cleanse everything, everything and make sure everything was clean. But what it did was it created this thing in his head that everything. Yeah.
was not clean. Well, I look at it more like it opened my eyes to what was going on. It finally made him realize how filthy everything is. Spots and flexes. Well, I greatly appreciate that, Sean. Thanks. Yeah. Well, there it is. Thank you very much for the call. We appreciate it. Sean is going to have to work his way through this. Text us at 35253. Got an email from a Marine. We're going to read it next. This Marine came home. Spent all the time in Iraq. Couldn't wait to see the wife. Couldn't wait to see the kids. And when he got home, he noticed that while he was gone, the wife had decided that he was going to let the kid play with a new toy. And this particular Marine wasn't that fond of the toy. So we will talk about what it was when we come back. And hopefully you'll call us at 570-1053 and text us at 35253 and give us your thoughts.

I've been to the city, said the country mouse. The cable might seem inexpensive, but you end up paying aged Parmesan prices for mild cheddar cheese, squeaked the country mouse. Hit the bricks, pal. A retired Marine sergeant and his partner were the first San Diego same-sex couple to marry this morning. Padres are taking on the Yankees tonight in Yankee Stadium. Randy Wolfe taking on Andy Pettit. Very, very fun. I loved it. All right, so before we went to break, I said that we had a couple of schools in San Diego. That have an outbreak of the chicken pox. Two schools, right, Skye? Yeah, a total of ten students. Five at each school have come down with the chicken pox. So five of the students go to Morse High School in San Diego.
And the other five students go to Perry Elementary School in San Diego. They say they've notified the staff and the students about the outbreak. And, of course, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention always recommends two doses of the chickenpox vaccine for children ages one and up. I had chickenpox when I was five. Yeah. Looks like little scabs. Yeah. My mom put pink stuff on it. Yeah. You know, speaking of that, got an email here from a military guy. And let's see. Temperify. Let's take your temperature on this. Says, hey, Mikey and gang, I'm a Marine who returned from deployment on June 4th. I have a beautiful wife and an awesome son who is nearly three years old. My wife's an excellent mother, probably the best I know. For example, since I deployed twice since my son was born, every time I've returned from deployment, my son instantly recognizes that I was his daddy because the amount of time she spent showing him pictures and videos of me and reading to him and talking about me while I was away. But as I returned from this tour, I was shocked to find a pink and purple kitchen set in my son's room.
The kitchen set was a gift from my mother-in-law, and the wife didn't send it back. She allowed the boy to play with it while I was away. Well, you all could probably imagine the arguments that followed upon my discovery. I'm no homophobe or anything, but I strongly feel that boys should be playing with boy toys, and the boy has more trains, cars, and dinosaurs than you can imagine. What's your take on the situation? Well, I don't think that he should be playing with the little pink and purple sets. Oh, Sky. Yeah, Sky's got a look on her face. So what's the problem? Is the problem that it's a kitchen set, or is it a problem that it's the colors, or are both things a problem for you? Well, it sounds like because of the colors, it sounds like the manufacturer was pretty clear that it's a little girl toy. It's pink. Usually when they make a pink bicycle, that's designated as a girl's bike.
Uh, so I don't think I'm nuts there. So if it was a blue kitchen set, you'd be okay. Yeah. I'll give you a, for instance, like we just got one of these things for Jake. Uh, and what we did, you know, Rebecca showed me a catalog that had some of these in there. She says, what do you think of these? And, uh, I said, well, I said, this one looks kind of like a little girl's one. Cause it had, you know, it was very feminine, had feminine colors and, but they had another one that had. a picture of a little boy and there's like a little grill set. So one side of it is an outdoor grill where the boy can like mimic dad making some burgers and the other side's just a regular kitchen and it comes with a little chef's hat. Awesome. That's kind of cool. Oh man, it's the cutest thing in the world seeing him play at this thing. But a pink and purple one for a little boy, I don't know that that's really appropriate. Right. Well, we got it. I guess we got to get into it, don't we? I think we've covered it. We're good. Are we good? Yeah. Moving on. I don't believe all opinions have been given. It's my boy. It's my boy's inner little boy saying hi, Jake to him. Now, if he'd been playing over at Auntie Sky's house, it would have gone, hi, Jake. True.
Skye, what do you think? That's great. Well, let's move on. No. Well, I think it's pretty clear how I feel about this. I believe there is no problem whatsoever with this. I think there are more problems with the father than with the actual issue at hand. What's the problem with the father? Because I didn't say it's the mother's fault. It's not a problem with the mom. I believe it's a problem with the father. If he views that as like it's going to have a negative effect on his child because he's playing with a pink and purple kitchen set, like that's going to change who his son is? Wait a minute. Hang on a second. Hang on. Now, I'm not going to speak for this guy. Now, I'll just speak for me. Please. But I would not say what you just said. So what is the problem? So what is the problem, then? Oh, boy. Here we go. Hey, hothead. Here we go. I am being attacked by a wild animal right now. You're not being attacked. You're being savaged at the moment. And I am wearing one of those big dog collars around my forearm, and she's made her way through it and is digging into my bone. Then please clarify. Zapper.
Please, tell me. Well, it isn't that I think that is going to harm him. I said it right, I believe, the first time. It's not appropriate. But why is it not appropriate? Because I believe that the manufacturer makes them a different color for different kids, for instance. I believe that the color pink... is about little girls, and I believe that the color blue is about little boys. Now, I'm not the only one that thinks this. When you go and get cigars for your boys when your kid's born, they come with little bands on them. One's a pink band, one's a blue band. Well, the world, Mike. The world thinks this. Pink is girl and blue is boy. Pink is girl and blue is boy. Now, do I think that this is going to make the kid into a homosexual? No, I don't think it's going to make the kid into a homosexual. But if I'm the parent, the one with the discerning opinion, If it's up to me, I'm going to get a blue one for the boy. Now, hang on. This is different because it was a present. Thank you. It was a present. What's that stupid mother-in-law doing? What is she doing, dude? What is she doing? What is she doing? Kisses me off. Because you get all tootie-fruity. See? I don't even get it.
So the manufacturer maybe intended it. Like, is that worth causing marital problems over because the manufacturer intended? So according to your assessment, unless we're doing what the woman wants, there's marital problems. No, no, that is not true. That is not true. I said there's marital problems because in his email, he said there were fights about it. Yes. And to me, fights are marital problems. Yes, that is correct. And in this case, it's because he's not doing what she wants. No, it's because she's not doing what the manufacturer intended. Like what? You're going to let that cause like a rift in your marriage? You're going to argue over that? That's equal parts. Why can't she be cool and be like, understand what the guy wants and say, okay, well, then let's get rid of it. Well, the bottom line is, does the kid enjoy playing with the toy? Yes. There you go. Get him a different one. Get him a different one. But why? He enjoys playing with the toy that he has. You guys are so uptight. Spray paint it with some lead. Who cares? With lead. With lead. Who cares? So he can lick it. Question, Skye. You are the worst. Question. So uptight. Question. Yes. You come home. Yeah. And your father-in-law has sent your son, same age, three years old, a toy.
What's your feelings on that? I believe that a toy gun teaches a child that guns are toys. That's funny because you've said in the past that you think that that's a bad thing for little kids to have toy guns. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I don't believe the color pink is a bad thing. I don't believe the color pink has bad repercussions. I don't either. I believe playing with toy guns does have bad repercussions. So I don't think that's a good analogy. But you've said in the past that you don't think toy guns are for kids. You think that's a bad idea. And that's what I'm saying right now. There's repercussions of playing with toy guns. There's not repercussions of playing with pink things. Well, wait a second. My argument wasn't that there was repercussions. My argument was that it wasn't appropriate. Says who? Says Mike. The world. The world. No, obviously not. Obviously not. The world. Obviously not. Mike. Uptight Mike. I'm it? Just me? That's your name. You crazy. Uptight Mike. Uptight Mike's the only guy. That's crazy. That doesn't want his boy playing with pig stuff. That's you, man. Barely. Way to go, Uptight. I'm flabbergasted. Uptight Mike. P1 Ryan.
Mikey, how's it going today? Good, man. All right. Yeah, my mother-in-law knows my boy, he's going to be four soon. He gets boys' toys, and that's it. She knew if she sent something like that, she'd get it directly back in the mail. Only way Sky's kid, only way Sky's son would be able to play with a gun is if it were pink. No, no guns at all. Pink guns are allowed. No, no weapons of any color. Anything confusing is good. What if your husband wants him to play with the gun? Well, he doesn't. What if he did, though? Well, he doesn't. But what if he... What if Mike loved the color pink? What if Mike loved the color pink? What if Mike loved... Skye, we're going to do our exercise. Well, yeah, if you're doing what ifs and in pretend land, then why do we have the discussion? Ashley's eyes just got huge. She's like, we only do this twice a year. Is that really necessary right now? Skye, we're going to do it. Oh, gosh. No, Mike. Yes, we're going to do the me and you are married exercise. No, Mike. We're going to do it. I think we get a divorce before we get it. Skye, we can work through this marriage. No, I would not like to work through it. About two times a year, Skye and I do an exercise where we pretend we're married. Oh, it's the worst. It's the worst thing ever. We just don't agree on things. That's weird. We just don't agree on things. That is weird. Uptight, Mike. And so what is the situation? Is the situation the gun or is the situation the little cook set that's pink and purple? Eddie, call it. You call it, Eddie. I think you should stay at the topic at hand and be the cook set. Honey, why is there a... Because she's nuts about this gun thing. Okay.
Oh, Eddie, how dare you. Eddie says weapons are good for children. I played with toy guns. Did I kill anybody? Yes, you did. Multiple people. Multiple people. Multiple people. I got to respond to this one. Weapons are not good for kids. Toys are. Toy weapons. Toy weapons. Are good for kids? They're not weapons. They're not weapons. They're toys. No, I'm not saying toy weapons are good for kids. No, he did not. Toy weapons are good for kids. Then what are you saying? What are your feelings on toy weapons? That's like me going SpaghettiOs is good for kids. No, it's not necessarily, but kids eat it and they don't, like, die. Okay, what are your feelings on toy weapons? They're not weapons. Good or bad? They're not weapons. My opinion is that there's no such thing as a toy weapon. Okay, toy guns. Toy knives. Toy nunchucks. My brother played with both. Pink toys and toy guns. He's fine. Now he's a gay Marine. He's in med school. He's in med school. He's a gay assassin. He's a gay assassin. I got you now. You're right in my sight. He's getting married next week. He's in med school. He's all right. You know, it's all good. It's illegal in California. We will now begin the exercise. Oh, I thought you forgot. Honey, what's the pink and purple kitchen set in the boys' room? Oh, yeah. When you were away, my mom sent that as a gift for the little guy.
Oh, honey. I don't think that we should have... That's nice of her, first of all. That's really nice. Yeah, I thought it was really sweet. Totally unexpected. It is unexpected, and it looks like it's not cheap. It looks like it probably costs a lot of money. That's very nice. Yeah, very sweet, yeah. But the only thing is, is that it's pink and purple, and I don't know. I don't know that I really want the boy playing with a pink and purple set. Why? Can we... You know, because pink is more of a girly color. And as his pop and as his dad, I just want the boy to... have masculine boy stuff? What if we take it back and we just exchange it for something, you know, that's a cooking set but is more masculine? But he loves this one. I mean, he's been playing with it. He'll be devastated if we take it away. Devastated? And I don't, and then we'll have to, and then we'll have to explain to him. What are you, uncle? You're not in this. Yeah, get out of here. Outside the window. Get out of here, creepy window guy.
I got it. I got this. I'm fine. Babe, if we take it back, then we'll have to explain to him why. And I don't really think it's appropriate to tell my child that pink and purple are colors that are off limits for him. Oh, I don't either, honey. That's why we won't tell him. Well, then what are we going to tell him? I was right about to before you interrupted me, babe. We're just going to lie to his sweet little face? We're going to lie to his sweet little cheeks? We don't do that, honey. Here's the deal. Well, let's go back. You see, I think that to say that he will be devastated is certainly strong wording, don't you? I mean, that's... You don't know. You don't know. I mean, you don't know. You haven't been here. You didn't even know he had the sex. I just got home, honey. I mean, I've been fighting for your rights. Your freedom. Your freedom to say these things. You know, in another country, they would have you in a burka and you wouldn't be able to say... Anything. All right? Because you'd be a woman and you wouldn't be allowed to talk. Here's an update, babe. Our child is dramatic. Okay, babe. Okay. You got me. Let's do this then. I'm playing what ifs. Let's compromise. Okay. I would love to compromise. What we'll do is we'll get him a kitchen set. We'll just make it.
Masculine colors. And in terms of him getting up, hang on. What are we going to tell him, babe? What are we going to tell him? What are we going to tell him? What are we going to tell him? Babe, Toys R Us is right down the street. Next time he takes a nap and he's not playing with it, we'll... Take it down there. But he's going to notice. And what are we going to say? What are we going to do? We're going to say, I'll explain it. What we do is we tell him the truth. We say, son, grandma was really nice. She sent you the set. Yeah. But pink is a, but pink. is a little girl's color. See, I don't believe that. I believe, you know, there are no boys and girls. Okay, but can you compromise on this one thing? I have a compromise. Go ahead, honey. I have a compromise. Why don't we have a fun arts and crafts day and break out the paints and let the boy paint it whatever color he would like it. Oh.
Okay, that's fine with me as long as the colors are not pink. Any color he would like. We will say, babe, we're going to do arts and crafts today. We're going to paint your kitchen set any way you'd like it. But honey, if we follow that logic. Hang on a second. That's a good point. Honey, if we follow that logic, then why don't we just take all of the contents. of, say, you know, the kitchen and put those on the floor for him to pick out which one he wants to play with either. Don't we have to lead him as parents and go, no, sweetheart, that's sharp. That's not for you. That's not appropriate for you. Playing with knives and the color pink are very different, babe. They're both dangerous. In this culture, honey, they're both dangerous. In this culture, honey. And I believe we need to lead him on important things. Me too. Me too. Not the color pink. I think that colors and... Are you in a gang? I am. Is this why colors are so important? There it is. I need to tell you something, honey. Well, I can't be with a gang member. I'm taking the baby route. I'm a crip. We're getting a divorce. There it is. We've never stayed together. Never. It always ends in divorce. Skye and I have never stayed together. Every time. It always ends in divorce. Every single time. Every time. It has never not ended in divorce. Think about the children. That was so brutal. Babe, the children. Please think about the children. Oh, my gosh. All right.
We got to take a timeout, but please send us a text message at 35253. Or you can call us at 570-1053. Mikey, pink. It is just another color. Why should pink just be for girls? Because it is. We don't make it through. It is not. It is constitution. No, it's just law. It is not. You're so stupid. Sky, we were driving down the five the other day. Yeah. And we saw this new. Me and you. Now, me and Rebecca were driving down to five the other day, and we saw one of those new Thunderbirds, the T-Birds. Yeah. Pink. And I don't mean. Sick. I don't mean pink. Yeah. I mean like Mary Kay. Like bubblegum. Yes. Nice. And on the back window was a little rainbow sticker. Uh-huh. Now, Skye, I want to ask you. Yeah. Do you think that there's one straight guy?
Not in San Diego. Not in California. Not in the western United States. Not in the continental United States. But in the world that would drive a pink Thunderbird that's not gay. Straight guy. I don't believe a straight adult male would choose that, no. Why? Thank you. And there you go. Hey, check this out. The topic of the mother-in-law sending the Marine's wife while he was away in Iraq a gift for their three-year-old son. The gift was a little kitchen set, but the kitchen set is pink and purple. Sky and I have gotten a divorce. Yes. Again. Again. Sky feels that there is nothing wrong with a pink and purple kitchen set for a boy. And I say, as parents, it's kind of our job to... lead our kids and pigeonhole them. Here's an email that we just received. It says, Mikey, my son's favorite colors were pink and purple until he was four and a half when his pure, honest and natural preference was tainted when he was influenced by peer pressure from an older boy that I don't want my son around at all, who was raised to believe the majority's thoughts that pink
Now, let's take that sentence just for what it is. He says that his son liked pink and purple until he was four and a half. And then it was tainted when he was influenced by the peer pressure from an older boy. Now, if he had been my son, it wouldn't have been his preference until four and a half. And he never would have been bullied. Well, no one said he was bullied. No one used the word bullied. Until he was influenced by the peer pressure from an older boy. What do we suppose that peer pressure was? I don't know. We weren't there. Oh, I bet it was this then, Sky. I bet it was, oh, gee, Billy, that's a really nice coat that you have on there. But, you know, to tell you the truth, as an older boy, I think it's my duty to let you know.
Hang on, hang on. Please, I beg you to let me finish over here. So, if he had been my boy, he wouldn't have been wearing the backpack that was pink and purple, and he never would have had. See, I would have been protecting him from... Or forcing him to conform. Conform to what? To Mike's standards of what's appropriate for a bull. Apparently not just my standards, also the standards of society. Of all the sheep, yes. Okay, so let's continue the email. Yeah, Mike, he's talking about you. I doubt it. It says, this older boy was raised to believe the majority's thought that pink is for girls and blue is for boys. By the way, I'm glad, this is a guy that wrote this, it's Bronco Dan that wrote this. I'm glad he's changing the world one boy at a time. Yeah. Good. You got to start somewhere, Mike. Yeah, you do. You do. And even if your son is the sacrificial lamb, the one that has to go through. Oh, goodness. His name was what? I said Billy, but I don't know what his son's name was. No, no, no. The guy that wrote it? Bronco Dan. Sounds like Buffalo Bill. Very good. You're the guy on the skyline. Okay, Rob. Creepy. Wow. It's ridiculous. He goes on to say.
It was really awesome to see how passionate my son was about the color pink and, to a lesser extent, purple. He's all boy. He loves dinosaurs, trucks, Legos, sports stuff, etc. I bought him a pink soccer ball, basketball, football, etc. Both his mother and I felt the, quote, bug was squashed too early, unquote. My son is five now and his favorite color is green. That's a great color. Anything's wrong with green. Because you say so. Dude. People need to think for themselves and not just follow suit with the majority. Say that as your kid gets his ass kicked in school.
Good point. Kids can get their ass kicked for anything. What, are we going to shelter them their whole lives? But why not protect them over something that you can protect them from? You don't know what kids are going to... I do know. I went to school. We were kids. See, sometimes I think that... You were born adults. I think that sometimes people forget what it was like in school. Not easy. See, as adults, it's very easy for us to have, except for Sky, it's very easy for us to have a civil conversation. What? I have a civil conversation. But kids aren't like that, man. Kids can't debate it. They get, you know, messed with. For sure. It can be tough. So you've got to have your kid. You have to lead your children. Kids aren't going to scream out, don't conform. Don't you not want to lead your children in a direction where they're like changing their opinion because they think they should? Wait, say that again. Say that. I want to understand. What do you mean? Say again. Well, you're saying you want to lead your kids in the right direction. But if the kid's favorite color is pink and he likes playing with this pink toy. Right. And you're telling him that that's not okay. So you're kind of influencing his decision. Let me explain, Ashley.
When this little boy, let's call him Billy, I don't know what Bronco Dan's son's name is. Buffalo Bill. When Billy went to school at four and a half years old and the older boy, quote, gave him peer pressure, I'll bet it hurt, little Billy. I bet so, too. I'll bet it hurt. So, conversely, I won't let my child play with a toaster oven either. Even if he wants to. Wouldn't that be sheltering your kid? To not let him play with a toaster? No. To not let him play with a toaster, I think, is responsible and appropriate. Because if he plays with a toaster, even though he wants to, he might get hurt. Just like if he wears pink. But isn't it good for kids? That's their lesson to learn. Oh, yeah. Okay. Stand by what you believe in. It's not always going to be easy. Son, if you believe in putting your fingers in that toaster. Put them in there. Don't use that analogy. But that's not a correct analogy. Why? They both hurt. But it doesn't hurt the kid. He enjoys playing with the toy. It hurts to put your fingers in the toaster. It will hurt when he brings his pink bag back to school. In fact, it probably did hurt. You know what? It probably did. You know what, then? In fact, I bet one of them hurt. The kid will learn how to stick up for himself. I bet. And for what he believes in and what he wants to do. I'll bet. Slap fight. I'll bet that it hurt worse. Take another mic and then grow. I'll bet it hurt worse.
I don't know. I bet the kid would have taken 10 toaster shocks compared to the older boy applying peer pressure. It'll make him a better person down the line. But there's going to be peer pressure for everything, Mike. What about when their friends become sexually active and there's peer pressure for that? And the kids are like, you know what? I believe it's wrong to have sex before marriage. And then they're going to get bullied by their peers. Well. I don't see the color pink. I see the color pink as a appropriation. That's why I don't think it's appropriate if you play with it. But I don't see the color pink as a moral issue. It's not a moral issue. It's an appropriation. I don't think it's appropriate. I do think that having sex when all your other friends are having sex is a moral issue. So I'll instill the same moral values into the kid as I'm dishing out the appropriations. I do both. I do my, hey, here's what I think that you should think about sex and drugs. Here's what I think that you should. I mean, that's what we all do. We all program our kid.
With what we believe. Yeah, otherwise kids would be watching rated R movies and doing whatever they want. Well, if we follow that, yes, that is correct. Seriously, man. Hey, I am not going to use my folks as the model of, hey, you know what I mean? Please. But I will say this. I think that it would be the same philosophy to go, hey, listen. I'm going to let you watch The Exorcist because you're going to learn, and it's good for you to learn, and then you'll make your own decisions. See, you'll watch The Exorcist. You'll have nightmares the rest of your life, but you've learned a valuable lesson, haven't you? I bet you won't be watching scary movies anymore. All it's going to take is one kid with a pink backpack sticking up for himself to the bully who's making fun of him and kicking his butt, and then the next thing you know... Everyone who wants to wear pink that's a kid will, and he won't be scared to anymore. As long as, Ashley, it works out just that way. All it's going to take is one four-and-a-half-year-old up against an older boy, right? All it's going to take is one four-and-a-half-year-old up against a ten-year-old. Hey, dude, you don't know? He might be in karate. You don't know? Karate? You don't know, Mikey. Mikey, this is my favorite text message, by the way. Mikey.
I'm gay, and if I had a son, I wouldn't let him play with pink or purple toys. I want to kiss that guy in the mouth. I don't know if that's appropriate. That could probably be arranged. That is legal now. I don't want to marry him. Hey, Mikey, tell Sky it's nurture versus nature. You nurture him with feminine toys, he'll think it's okay to be feminine. What is a pink thing? I don't know why. We'll have to ask culture. It just is. Let's call it culture. Does anyone know the number for culture? It is. You know it is. Blue is not masculine. Pink is not feminine. They're just colors like every other freaking color in the palette. Absolutely, Scott. It doesn't make him feminine. It's not like he's going to start prancing around because he has a pink kitchen. I think you finally got me. I think you've talked me into it. In fact, I'm going to go for it. All I need for you to do is name one sports franchise whose colors are pink and black. I don't know sports franchises. Well, pink. I mean, I know one sports franchise has got to have a pink uniform, right? I don't know. How cute would that be, this guy? It'd be darling. Lots of guys look good in me. Is there a pink? I don't think there's a pink franchise. I don't. Nope. That's weird. Now, there might be a pink WNBA team. Maybe. What do you say about guys wearing pink collared shirts? I think it looks great. There are...
some pink collared shirts for guys. You'd look great in pink. And listen, I'm an adult. I'm an adult. You would. I'm an adult. No, he would. He would go great with the skin tone. The skin tone because he's Mexican. Listen, there's a deal. Honestly, hang on. She's right. I am Mexican and the pink would probably look really nice, but... More of a salmon here. Yeah, it's more of a salmon. It's really not pink, guys. It's more salmon. But a guy, an adult guy, sure, man, whatever. You want to wear pink shirts? What the heck got the heck out of you? What are you talking about? Oh, you know it. Whatever. If that's going to happen, I come in here with a pink shirt. I compliment you. You are done. Do it. Tutti frutti. Yeah. I compliment you. Hey, girlfriend. You're playing by prison rules today? Yeah, let's head out to the courthouse, man. Okay, thank you, guys. You know how I know you're gay? Come on, James, with the fireflies. How does he know it's the firefly? P1 Jeff? Yes. You know the one on 3rd Street? Yeah. Happy hour until 7th. Except Thursdays when Bill doesn't work. Great karaoke. P1 Jeff, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Go ahead. Hey, this is for Sky. Really, basically, you need to get your kid off to a good start in life, and it's not going to happen if you're buying a pink purple toy. They're going to be influenced by whoever they're going to be influenced by later on in life, you know?
And, you know, that gay guy who called in, he's awesome. He totally called it right there. I mean, he's gay and he wouldn't even let his... See, I'm going to let my child follow their heart. I'm not going to influence them either way. I'm not going to force them to have blue stuff or pink stuff, whatever color they want. But that's your job as a parent to guide them. I will guide them when it's important, but picking out a color for a toy is not important. So when he comes home and he's been beaten up at school because he came to school wearing something, now he's got two things that have happened in his head. Now he's wondering, why did mom let me do this? Well, like I've told you before, and we've talked about this on other issues, things inside the home are fine, whatever. he wants. If he wants to go outside wearing an all pink outfit, I'm going to tell him, you know what? Some other boys may not like this. But what if he says he doesn't care? If he says he doesn't care, then he's free to go and he knows that mom knocked off. How are you going to feel when he comes home beaten up? How are you feeling? I'm going to feel horrible. I'm going to feel bad for him, but that was his choice. You could have prevented that.
You want to prevent pain for your kids? Little kids, they're going to go, Mom, I want to wear it. They don't know either. They're kids. They're not adults. Yeah, dude. My mom let me wear a swimsuit with, like, I had, like, a cowboy hat on one time with some boots. Yes, it does. But it was around the house. You wore that last week. She didn't let me go out in public. You're wearing it right now. She didn't let me go out in public in it. But when I was around the house, like, back then. If this was like 30 years ago and a blue kitchen set was bought for a boy, most dads would be out on that because a kitchen is a female place. But you know what? Times have changed. Men have taken that back. Men have taken that back. But it had to start somewhere, Eddie. Back in the day, you had to be like, you know what? Skye. Jamie Oliver was like, you know what, bro? Emerald, bam. What do you want? Skye. Emerald. Case closed. Skye. You're 100% right. It's true. Bam. Did you hear that part, Mike? Bam. Bam. I didn't hear the bam. You got me. Thank you. Mikey, at that age, it's the parent's responsibility to help make decisions for their child because their little minds don't fully understand certain things yet. Well, they will when they get their heads knocked off. Oh, come on, man. They will.
So dramatic. It's not dramatic. It's not dramatic. It's not traumatic. It's not traumatic either. When a kid gets beaten up for his pink backpack. My brother never got beaten up. How do you know? Because I know. How do you know he never got beaten up? For what? For doing what? What did he never get beaten up for? His favorite colors when he was growing up were pink and black. And you're saying that he used to wear pink what? Pink? And that's the thing. Like, he wouldn't, because his favorite color was pink, didn't make him, like, want to be in, like, all pink, like, going to school. Yeah, he probably didn't wear pink. He probably didn't wear pink. No, he was cool off that, but it was still his favorite color. And when he'd be at home with me, we'd play Barbies. Like, whatever. Who cares? Yeah, that's not wearing pink for school. Where is he now, Mike? In med school. What's up? Pink is a key to med school. Pink is a key to med school. It's a fact. If you want your child to be a doctor, pink. Get him in a dress. Figure it out. Yep. P1 Brandon. Hello? Go ahead. You're on the air. Yes, P1 Brandon. Oh, that's great. Rob, how come you don't tell these guys to please not say their names? I don't know. Why don't you just put in a cuss word there, too, sir? Don't forget that part. Jeez. Over and over. No way, man. Go ahead, Brandon. When I was younger, my parents would actually have me play with Barbie dolls, have me play with toys of female nature.
Now that I'm an adult with four children, these things have distilled many good qualities to me that helped me raise my child today. Now my son is three and a half years old. Let's go back. I'd really like to talk this over. This is going to be a long one. Okay. So you're telling me that when you were a kid, your parents actually forced you to play with dolls. I got forced to play with my siblings, and unfortunately, my sister was the older one, so that's what was around was, you know, girl toys, and it was interacting with my, you know, my brother and sister, and so... Did you have any boy toys at all? I did have boy toys, but at the same time, my sister would play with my G.I. Joe's and stuff. Okay, that's not what we're talking about, sir. I mean, listen, if there are little boys and little girls in the same house... I know that that's going to happen. I know that there's going to be. Listen, if I came in, if I had a son and a daughter and I came in and my son and daughter were playing with G.I. Joe's and Barbies and my son happened to have a Barbie doll in his hand, I'm not going to scream. Oh, no, stop it. That's not what we're talking about, really. They're playing toys. You know, they're playing with their toys. What I'm talking about is you got your son and you're getting him a pink kitchen. I mean, well, for Christmas, I bought my son a doll.
that you had to feed, burp, change the diaper on, and everything. And he loves it. And now I have a seven-day-old boy who my three-and-a-half-year-old son knows how to change the diaper on. I love it. That's cool. That is way cool. You see, and now we're talking about kids getting beaten up for wearing purple and pink. This is all a higher influence on these kids. These kids don't have discriminations against colors unless someone who already does have it distills that in them. Exactly. I'm not going to go beating up anyone for wearing pink. I didn't get beat up for, you know, wearing pink, purple, whatever. And you guys are looking at... Well, wait a minute. Are you saying that because you didn't, it doesn't exist? No, but I'm saying it does exist because of closed-minded, chauvinistic men like I've been hearing all morning. Yeah. Well, listen, sir, I'm afraid that your battle is a long, long battle because you're trying to convince culture. Just like racism was. Yeah. One day we're going to turn the corner on this pink kitchenette thing. I have a dream. Yes. One is about a person being born with their race.
And the other is about Toys R Us and a plastic kitchenette. Having the right to have your favorite color and being proud of it. That's right. At the same time, my daughters have toolboxes. My daughter's only five and a half years old and she knows how to... So you bought your daughter a toolbox? Yeah, absolutely. It sounds like you're going out of your way. You're buying your son. You're getting your son the baby changing doll and you're getting your daughter the toolbox. You're going out of your way. I am helping form both my daughter and my son to be diversified in what it takes. I am helping my son and my daughter to be as confused as absolute possible. So you can help them do that, but we can't help them not do the pinks and stuff like that. So diversity versus narrow-mindedness, and you pick narrow-mindedness. Diversity? How is it diverse getting them a toolbox? How many guys in that studio have babies with wives who, you know, I mean, back in the day, how many husbands didn't get up to help change these diapers? They didn't get up to help take care of these babies. Hey, listen, listen, listen. I am all, listen, I am all for it.
I'm all for it. Like Sky was right when she said that about 30 years ago, it wouldn't have been OK for a little boy to have a little kitchenette set because kitchenette sets were for girls. OK, what happened is, is that our culture did change. And the sad thing is, is that we are living in a certain culture. Now, for me to send my son out in culture wearing a pink. It's the same reason our culture says we don't wear a dress. Okay, Scotland, they wear kilts. It's awesome. It works. That's their culture. I send my son out in a pink kilt. It's called a pink skirt, and he's going to get bullied. It's just not very responsible. That's our culture. Now, as the culture changes, whatever. You know what I mean? As it changes. This is not a moral issue to me. This is an appropriation. It'll be very appropriate for my daughter to do things that men are supposed to do. And my son, because of his doll baby playing and everything, is going to be apt to know what to do when it comes time to be a man and a father like I did. Nice.
I like you. I don't. I've been a B1 for five, six years, and I've never agreed with anything that Sky and Ashley said have always been with the bros. You guys are way off base. Thanks, buddy. Way off base. I understand, brother, and I appreciate it. I do think that it is a confusing thing to get your different kids the different things. I think it's a little confusing. Go ahead, Rob. Are you saying that if you don't play with dolls when you're little, you'll never know how to be a father? I think that's what I'm hearing. Because that's retarded, dude. I'm sorry. Good argument, Rob. My father didn't play with dolls, and he was a great dad to me. So how dare you say that you have to play with dolls to be a good father? He didn't say you have to. That's a narrow-minded comment. It's just a good start. He didn't say that, Rob. It's like you don't have to read to a child for them to be able to read, but it gives them a good start. It helps. It helps. Whatever. So you're saying. gender lines in this country. What's so wrong with having gender lines? Everyone's gender lines? What even is that? Yeah, what are we, a bunch of hemaphrodites? Why don't we just have both parts then? Everybody has both parts. It's a both parts party. It's a both parts party. That is weird. I'm sorry. I could only take so much. Thank you, Jamie Lee Kennis. Play with dolls to be a man. That's absurd.
Say that. He meant it. No, he did not. I read in between the lines. This reminds me of a song that I wrote about my childhood when I was just a boy. My puppy said you loved me. It was just a lie. I'd like to know if I'm coming back. Because I just can't stand to see. One more sunset. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Learn that solo. This guy and I are getting married. PPR. Stop it. You stop it. We all know that I don't like to spend money when I don't have to. Sean. We have the stupidest neighbors in the world. Boston Rob. I get really annoyed when people have sneezing fits. And Ashley. I hate underwear, and I don't wear underwear. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's 9.06. No surprise here. Al Gore officially endorsed Barack Obama yesterday. Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker was found unconscious on the Las Vegas street, apparently a victim of a robbery. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. And before we went to break, I was asking what game show you would be on. Eddie, what would you be on? Deal or no deal? I would be the first guy to pick the million-dollar case and win it. Never been done. Nope. Never been done. It's Case 8. Case 8? No, it's not. Yes, it is. It's Case 22. You're so wrong. It is Case 22. I'm with you. That's $1. Yeah, Sky.
You're right. 22 is K-17. I thought it was 18. Those are a bunch of knuckleheads. That's a fun game. Yeah. That's a really fun game. You guys can be my supporters. I would love it. Who would be your supporters? Who would you pick? You can only pick three, right? Yeah. Oh, please. You, Rob, and Sean. Yes. Yeah. I said, you guys here. What about me? I mean, if you're really on the show. You know I'm a really good chair. Yeah, my wife would be one of the supporters. And then Mike. And then... I'm over here. I'm right here. Hey, hey. Hey, guys. Right, right. So many choices. I don't know. I mean... Probably... I just want to let you know. You guys are really smart. He is. P1 Drowning Lessons. Hi, this is P1 Drowning Lessons. Get him, Rob. How many times? I don't know. Why don't you do your job, Rob? Why don't you tell them? I don't know. I'm just incompetent today, Mike. I just can't hang on to these. Well, you know, I'd appreciate it if you would tell these people and not say their name when they, you know, because I'm going to say their name. So if you could just say to them, Rob, hey, listen, when you're on the air, don't say your name. Maybe he doesn't speak English. Is that your problem, sir? Yes. P1 Drowning Lessons.
Hi, this is P1 Drowning Lessons. Oh, for crying out loud. Are you kidding me? Can you do me a favor, dude? When you are screening phone calls, why don't you tell the people not to say what their name is? Because I'm going to announce their name when I take the call. You don't say, Mike. Try that. I like that concept. I'm going to try that. Give it a shot. Holy crap. P1 Drowning Lessons. Yeah, I would totally be on the mole. The mole. Really? The mole. I've never seen one episode. Oh, that shit looks weird. I liked it. It's back. I think it's on ABC or NBC. I've never heard of it. But, yeah, I'm not one to be on, like, Millionaire. I'm not what you call, like, a smart man. But, uh... You know. Listen, three times drowning lessons. You're smart. I think it'd be good to be, you know, take myself out of my comfort zone and really mess with people's minds on the mall. The handsome young man over here in the corner. That's me. Can we pick old game shows? Anything. Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah. I didn't know any of that. I changed my mind. I pick and press your luck. What's that? No whammies, no whammies. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You've never seen that before, Mike? How's it work? Oh, shit. I don't know.
You've upset him. I don't know. His headphones are off. His headphones off. Have you ever heard the phrase, no whammies? I've heard of it. I don't. With the wham, thank you, ma'am. Now that I know that. Wham, bam, thank you, ma'am. Something like that. Yeah. That's not it. This guy says that's not it. I don't even. Are they Americans? Yeah. I never heard of it. Did you own a TV? I did, but it was big and square and it sat on the floor. Did you watch it? Yeah, yeah, but I watched. Did you see Press Your Luck ever? No, I saw Concentration. I remember that one. Oh, yeah. If I had to pick a game show. We lose or draw? No. That was a good one too. Nope. Burt Convoy. I would be on. Let's make a deal. Never. Take door three. I would be on. Make me laugh. Where they had to try to make me laugh. I would love that.
But all they'd have to do is do a fart joke and you'd be done. It'd be tough. It'd be tough. A real fart and you're done. Oh, yeah. If somebody really farted. Well, that's impossible for anybody. Nobody can live through that. Nobody can. Eddie, don't do that. Hey, we don't need an example. No, Eddie, don't do it. Come on, we're not playing right now. I don't think it's possible for any person to have somebody purposefully fart in front of them and make a funny face and you not laugh. I don't think that that's... I think I could do it. You can't do it. It's impossible. You cannot do it. I think I could. You can't do it. Yeah, because I'd be upset. I'd be mad. What if they went... It's so funny. Sky, what if they went cross-eyed? See, that's just the thought. Just the thought of it, maybe. P1 Quimby's on the line. Hi. I'm still going to say, press your luck, or... The Bob Uecker game, Card Sharks. Ah, Card Sharks was fun. Don't know them. What's that?
What the? You know why, you guys? Because I didn't understand them. Like, as children, I don't know how you guys understood the games. That's all I watched growing up. I didn't understand how they were played. Because I never came to a show as it was beginning. And if I came halfway through and there's sharks around and all this, I wouldn't know what was going on. Oh, come on. Who would know? What, Price is Right? Come on. What was the game show where they dressed up as different? Let's make a deal. Okay. I'm telling you, when I was flipping through the channels as a kid, and I would say, see that i would instantly go i don't understand i don't understand why are they like dressed like this i don't understand and i would go to night gallery oh wow or i would go to uh eight is enough you know i could understand a divorcee Who is trying to become in a relationship with a man that's got seven children. That I liked. That is interesting. Well, because she brought someone into the relationship. Yeah, Ernie. He lived in a van out by the river. All right. P1 Marcus is on the line. What's up, Mikey? You should call yourself P1 San Marcus. No, you should not. You should never do that. That's funny. Fine. It's clever. What's up, Marcus? No, no, no. The reality show.
I haven't heard yet that I would love to be on is American Gladiators. No way. You would get killed, Marcus. You would get killed. A little bit buffer, I would dominate. I was on that show American Gladiators. No, you weren't. You were not. No, you weren't. Dude, I was going to be on it. But what happened? I blew out my ACL, dude. Why are you walking blind? Oh, this was like two years ago when I was 26. Well, it wasn't on two years ago. And you're 14. So you're lying. No, they were auditioning, you know? No, you're lying. And I went to this audition, dude, and they were like, whoa, you're probably too cut. And I was like, no, dude. Probably too cut. I'm sure. And I was like, no, dude, I'll take it easy, okay? And so then they made me do an audition. They made me do an audition with that dude Dynamite, dude. There is no Dynamite. Nope. Yeah, man, he's that Indian guy. What are you talking about? Yeah, dude. And so I was like, come on, Bangladesh. And I started running at him, dude. And then I knocked him off his feet. And when I came down on my own feet, pow, pop goes a weasel, dude. My ACL blew up.
Even says that. Nobody says that. I'm trying to make it, dude. Like, people start saying it. No, that doesn't work. Oh, you're trying to get other... So then the dude stood up. The dude stood up. And he was all crying. Dynamite was all crying. Dynamite. And he was all... And he was all... And I was all... And I was all... And I was all... And he was all... And he was all... P1 Captain Chan is on the air. Hi, Captain Chan. Hey, so you ever watch Nickelodeon? All the time. Legends of the Hidden Temple. Yeah, I remember that. Oh, my goodness. I have no idea what you're talking about. What was that one about? What was it? It was, like, Mayan themed, and the kids had to, like, climb and, like, do all these. It was, like, they had to swing over, like, water and climb boulders and stuff. Heck yeah, dude. It was so rad. And the best part, like, fuck yourself. They would win, like, ring pops for life. Yeah. Oh, my God. What is he talking about? Yeah. You watched that? Yeah. What was it? What was it? It was, like.
They took, like, eight kids, and they put them on four teams. So they would team up the kids, and they would have to, like, climb through this weird kind of obstacle course that was like a temple, like, at the end of the show. And then they would have to do other challenges where they would put them kind of, like, on a big swing, and they would have to get things from different parts of the course. Like monkeys. And put them together. Sounds like Indiana Jones kind of deal. Kind of was. A little bit, yeah. And they've been candy for life. Yeah, that would be one of the prizes. Are you kidding me? No. Candy for life? Yeah. Delicious. We've known people that have been on game shows and won the prizes and stuff. I always wondered about that. And they really do give you a bunch of junk, you know? Yeah. A buddy of mine won the grand prize on Hollywood Squares. What? He won everything. What was it? He won two cars, two trips, and a bunch of money and a bunch of different prizes. No way. He won the whole thing. Can you imagine, though, getting rice-a-roni, you know, like in big crates sent to your house? And maybe it's fun for like a month having the rice-a-roni. It's so good, though. But then every friend of yours is like, I don't need any more, bro. I don't need any more. And there's always rice-a-roni in the coffee room because the guy that was on the game show is trying to always give away rice-a-roni. Never have to go to Costco again. Yeah, for rice-a-roni. P1 Nick.
I'd probably get my butt kicked, but I'd like to be on Pros vs. Joes and see how I do it. You'd get your butt kicked, Nick. You are ridiculous. You'd get your butt kicked, Nick. What sport? Yeah, what sport? Football. They make them do everything. Oh, you have to do everything. Forget it. So, are these guys who think they're athletes and go against these pros? Oh, it's pathetic. Yeah, one of them went against Jerry Rice. Give me a break. Let's see. My wife would really be good on Wheel of Fortune. Yeah. That's the one I want to be on. You do? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. She would be real good. You can solve puzzles with a couple words? Yeah, I watch it every night. And then I watch Jeopardy. Wow. And I used to play the video game growing up. Those words are in English, right, Eddie? She watches Jeopardy? Every night. It's my new favorite show. Every night, and she... Right after Bride of That, I watch The News. Then I watch Real of Fortune, and then Jeopardy. She watches The News? It's really good. Line up. No, but I've heard her on the Dumpter Challenge. What is going on around here? You want stealth either? Yeah, I was going to say Wheel of Fortune, too. Yeah, you were? Yeah, Wheel of Fortune, man. I'm not good at that. Figuring out what words are with a couple of letters? How does Ashley do that? It's called practice. She doesn't, right, Eddie? She watches it, but she can't solve those puzzles. I mean, it's like C-A-T, and they got a T and a C up there. She's like, oh, cut. Cut. No. Lamp.
P1 Suburban Cowboy is on the line. What would you be on? I would absolutely be on Jeopardy. Eddie, why are you making fun of Jeopardy? No, no. Eddie, why do you hate Jeopardy? He's not making fun of Jeopardy. He's making fun of Ashley being on Jeopardy. Dude, that's what I want to be on. Rob Jeopardy. Listen, I don't think any of us. I got a game plan. I go on. And I buzz in before everyone, and I use the same answer. Alex, who is Mary Queen of Scots? Every time. Just to have fun, man. No, dude. That would be the best episode ever. Highest ratings they ever got in their life. What are they going to do? Sue me for all the money I owe? See you later. It was fun playing, though, folks. Ladies and gentlemen. Alex, who is Mary Queen of Scots? Alex, Mary Queen of Scots. Alex.
Where is Mary Queen of Scots? I think it would be best if you changed his name every time. The entire show. The entire show. Bill, what is Mary Queen of Scots? Yes, Phyllis, what is Mary Queen of Scots? That's nuts. Let's see. All right, we got to get to some of this news. We haven't got to any of this stuff. We need to. Oh, Eddie's giving me the break sign. He says we got to take a break. He says that we need to take a break right now. Oh, for goodness sake. And Sky, I tell you what we'll do. When we come back, Sky will have new releases. And you know what else we have? What? We have the TV Guide list of top 10 villains in reality TV. Top 10 villains in reality TV. Hey, check this out. The number one cerveza light in Mexico is now available here in the United States. To ensure that Tecate Light remains true to its Mexican cerveza roots, we will not refer to Tecate Light as light b****. We feel its Mexican flavor and attitude are much too bold to be referred to as an ordinary light b****. In fact, to our censors, b**** is a four-letter word. They didn't even allow b**** to be mentioned in the same commercial as Tecate Light.
Not even to explain the difference between b**** and cerveza. So as you can hear, all references to b**** have been censored for your protection in order to avoid any unintended association between light b**** and tecate light cerveza. And Mike knows because he recently went that Sunglass and Optical Warehouse is the only place in town to go if you need a cool new pair of shades. You know what? As a matter of fact, I also got the coolest thing when I was there. They got this little thing that sticks on your visor. Oh, yeah. You got one of those, Eddie? I've seen them. It's got a little button. I don't know what you're talking about. Dude, this is like a little clip and you put your sunglasses and they like stay up there. Yeah. Shut your mouth. Dude, you press a little button. You press a button like a little alligator jaw. It goes, opens up, and you stick it in there, and it memorizes. It's got this foam. It memorizes your sunglasses. So every time you put your sunglasses back, it memorizes the shape. How about that? It's pretty cool. So there you go. Sunglass Optical Warehouse. I'm telling you that I have a passion for cars. I love automobiles. And I get all the different car magazines. Automobile Magazine, Car and Driver, Road and Track, all those. Seth is into cars too. And if you're a car guy, BMWs are one of the greatest cars out there. And part of the reason is because they are one of the only independent companies still there. Meaning that they're... People are designing those BMWs. They're not like a parent company. Give an example of one of those. Toyota has something. Toyota has Lexus. Exactly. Or Nissan. Nissan's got... Infiniti. BMW didn't work like that. So they don't have to put the same platform. They don't have to put the same frame in different cars. They work independently. And they're worth it. Those cars are really cool. And the only place that I'll go, I will only go to one place. It's BMW Encinitas. And the reason is because I know these guys personally. I know Carl, the guy that's the manager in the service department. I know him. And I've talked to all of these guys. I know Don in service. Mac put my iPod or my iPhone adapter in for me yesterday. So I know these guys and I trust these guys. One other thing I want to tell you.
New general manager Brian Wood is for real, man. This dude is for real. And I showed up to a meeting that he was having with the staff, and he said, it's real important to Mikey that his P1s not walk away from here with a bad experience. And I watched him say to them, make sure his listeners are happy. It's the truth. I was sitting there when he said it. BMW Encinitas. Please go down there and take a look at one of these cars. I'm telling you, go down and take a look at these cars. It's BMW Encinitas, and they're located on Encinitas Boulevard, just west of El Camino Real.
Chipotle Mexican Grill, now serving naturally raised chickens in their burritos and tacos. Mikey's show continues with Mikey. I'm 37 years old. I'm a Gemini. I shave my head bald. I'm atrocious to look at, and I have a good sense of humor. Eddie. I hate anything except for Sky. I'm sorry, I talk like an old human. I'm sorry, I apologize. Sean. I got Boston on my mind. And on your throat. Ashley. I despise theme parties. They make me really uncomfortable, and I hate them. The Mikey Show's on Rock 105.3. What was this up there when we were talking about the pink toys? And you didn't go to it. I figured it'd be funny. It's really good if you're working on a little pink kitchenette. Maybe I am.
It's a 9.33. Prosecutors say they will not press charges against Britney Spears for running over a photographer's foot. Tiger Woods beat Rocco Mediate for the U.S. Open title yesterday after 19 holes. Tiger talks about his win. It was unbelievable. The whole week, the golf course was set up so fair, but also so difficult. Everyone who's come out this week has been absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is incredible. I mean, the fans here, they made the tournament. And then today, today was just unreal. I mean, honestly, that it just kept ebbing and flowing. You know, Rock looked like he was in control. Now, I thought I was in control. Then he was back in control again. It was back and forth, back and forth. And 90 holes wasn't enough. We had to, you know, go one more. Dude is nuts. He's so good. I bet his knee hurts right this second. I bet it hurts real bad. Yeah. Icy hot. Oh, good tip. Well, I don't know. Ice? Straight up ice? Does he just roll around in all his money? Yeah. That would make me feel better. It might help. Yeah, they asked him about his knee yesterday. That's cut four. Throughout the weekend, how much was the knee bothering you and how much of a factor was it in this championship? I'm glad I'm done. I'm done.
I really don't feel like playing anymore. It's a bit sore, and all I can say is the atmosphere is what kept me going. The tournament being a major championship here at Torrey Pines, all the people, it could have been very easily. I could never quit in front of these people. It wasn't going to happen. Yeah, they asked Tiger Woods, what about Dancing with the Stars, cut eight? I saw you on Ellen, and you didn't do much dancing. No, I'm not breaking down with her, no. A lot of athletes are doing, like, dancing with the stars. Do you ever think you would do anything like that? That's not my style. No? Not my style. But you can bust the move a little bit. I'll do that. I'll have fun, but I am not doing that in front of the camera. Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger. Come on now. I'll do that. I don't believe Tiger Woods busts a move on his own or otherwise. He is so serious. He strikes me as such a serious guy. He doesn't seem the type to just start boogieing. He doesn't strike me as a guy that's like, I got to get out on that dance floor, you know. He's not pulling a Tom Cruise risky business in his living room. No, he's not. I don't think he is. Sky has new releases to do. We'd bury one.
Okay, new video games out today. We have Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm for the Xbox 360. It's a game now? Yeah, dude. It looks so awesome. That actually sounds great already. What do you do? You go look for crabs? Yeah, dude. You fish. You drive the boat. But you have to get through the obstacles of your brother and other people on the boat that you have interpersonal relationships with. That's cool. Also out today. There's a guy like Rob on the boat. He's a hothead. He's a hothead. You got to deal with that. Step right over him. Okay. Also out today, we have Wacky Races, Crash and Dash for the Wii. And then finally, Fatal Inertia EX for PS3. Wow. Those are the video games. Sounds really good. Okay. New CDs out today. We have Viva La Vida by Coldplay. Yay! Yay! That doesn't strike me like Speed of Sound did when that was the first release from the last album, that XYZ. You know, when you heard that one, it was, like, kind of instantly in your head and, like, just worked right away. And that one right there, I don't know, man. That was terrible. That didn't really hit me. Yeah, well, it came out, I believe, on Thursday over in Great Britain, and it's already, you know, a huge, huge, huge hit. Well, because they have to love it there. What did you think of that, Sky? Did you like it?
I agree with you guys. I mean, like, I don't think it's bad, but it definitely didn't, I didn't immediately fall in love with it. It grows on you. It does? Yeah. See, because I like my Coldplay like I like my Coldplay. Sure, sure, sure, sure. And I want... The same. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, actually, yes. I want Coldplay to be like a Dorito, and when I put it in my mouth, I go, oh, it's Dorito. Oh, yeah, Cool Ranch. I don't want it to be Cool Ranch. What? That's my favorite. I love it. I love that one. That was cool, and I don't want that. I just want nacho. No. Wow. Okay. Well, after sitting on the shelf for 15 years, Chicago's Stone of Sisyphus is out today. He hasn't. So let me take a look here at what is happening throughout San Diego. I told you that there was a bunch of sharks that were. Every time. I mean, every time. It doesn't matter what it is. It was funny, though. It was a panda. I know. And he held up a picture of a panda. That's funny. Well, when he doesn't say anything and he just holds it up, there's definitely a very humorous quality. Hit it! Con with Reader's Digest. Why do we have a Reader's Digest? I don't know. I'm sure it's Boy Blunders. Yeah. He can't read. Stop it.
Of course he can. School of sharks were caught with swimmers in shallow waters. Where? On tape. Where? Where, Skye? Yeah, this is crazy. In Hawaii. I'm going there. Well, you better give me your tickets. Yeah. I want you to be safe. Dude, we don't want you to get hurt. I don't want you guys to get hurt. We don't want you to get hurt. I'll just let them go to waste. I know where it was, I bet. I'm going to take a guess. Okay. You're going to be wrong. It was in Kauai. No. It was not Maui. It was not Maui. No, it was the big island. Yes. Thank you. Hawaii. It was some people. What a jerk she is. That was rude. That was so messed up. Excuse me. That was so smooth. At least it was not smooth. It was so... I almost missed it. It wasn't even passing aggressive. I didn't say the Hawaiian accent. It's all right aggressive. It's all Hawaii. It's all Hawaii. It's all Hawaii. It's all Hawaii. It's like saying Hawaii is not Hawaii. Oahu isn't Hawaii. He didn't say me crap for crying out loud. Sean, that doesn't even make sense. It does. It does.
So some swimmers were on a sandbar off of Hawaii. As I said. Kaneho. Kaneho in the big island of Hawaii. And a school of sharks just swam right up and somebody was videotaping. What kind? They don't know. They weren't shark experts. This is not the time or the place to perform some kind of autopsy on a fish. Yeah, the biggest one was about eight feet in length. Ain't no gray white. There were a couple of them. There's a picture right here. Oh, Mike, determine what they are. I'll tell you about the dorsal. Mike, determine it. We're going to need a bigger boat. Luckily, nobody was hurt. It's Quint. Here comes the shark expert. Ten feet from the dorsal. Let us know what it is there, Quint. With your Roxbury hat. You can see the video. It's all over the internet. It's a white shark. Three tons of him. Yeah, you can hear the wife on the tape screaming, get out of the water, you idiot, at her husband. Oh, that is awesome. Where did that happen? Conejo. Where did it happen? Yeah. Conejo. No?
Rob, what is he? He's laughing hysterically. I think she just said a Hawaiian obscenity. Where did it happen? I didn't hear you when I was in there. You were standing right next to me. Did you say kaneho? What is it, Rob? Kanehoi. Kanehoi. Oh, what am I? Kaneho? Oh, my. In Hawaii. That's how it's spelled. In Hawaii. That's how it's spelled. That's how it's spelled. I'm not. I don't speak Hawaiian. I'm not very smart. I said Hawaii. You're the worst. I'm not the worst. That is awesome. We've got to have her pronounce more places from Hawaii. Yeah. Let's print up a map for her. Oh, that can be a new game. Or how about not? Or how about not? Sky says Hawaiian Towns. No. Shut up, Sean. Shut up. With their own reality show. Shut up. Oh, my God.
Farewell and adieu to your fair Spanish ladies. We don't know what kind of shark it was. Damn it, Martin. Same shark. Those tanks are filled with compressed air. Best impression ever. We're the best. We're the best. Greatest. Nice, John. The greatest ever. All right. To the moon. Wait. Hold on. Eddie, will that freak you out going in the water in Maui? No, you'll be good, bro. Don't do it. Don't do it, Eddie. I think I'll be okay. You'll be fine. Eddie, just don't do it. I'll bring a spear with me. Smart idea. $10,000 for me by myself. Yep. For that, you get the head, the tail, the whole damn thing. Yes. Is he eating pistachios? He's sitting there. What was he eating when he was sitting there? Pistachios? What was he eating?
Sounds delicious. Sunflower seeds and something with seeds. I want to find the scene. I bet Colonels can find it because Colonels is listening right now. Colonels? Colonels finds a movie script stuff in like two seconds. But what's the deal? I want to find the movie script part where he's talking about, you see that billboard right there? Those dimensions are real. You know what I'm talking about? Yep. You know what I'm talking about? Yep. Colonels, you can find it. Skye, you are something else today. I can't have a favorite scene now. Jeez. Home sales prices down. Home sales and prices are down. Yeah, dude, this is crazy. So a year ago in May, the median home price in San Diego County was $492,000. This May, $380,000. Oh, wow.
$112,000 less over a year. Holy cannoli. That is not good. Yeah, and home sales. The number of homes being sold dropped by 12%. I'm missing pita chips. Over a year. But it's a great time to buy right now if you're a bargain shopper or a first-time homebuyer. Bargain shopper. Well, there's a lot of markets out there right now, eh? I heard you could get a house in Chula Vista for $5, okay? Oh, my gosh. So, please. That's so crazy. Bark is over. Why is that funny? I don't know. Sean has really worked up on that one. Why is that funny, meek rat? Sean. Let's see. Zeth sent me the script. about 10 seconds before Bobby Cronin. Oh, in your face, Bobby Cronin. But Cronin is working on a delay. Yeah, Bobby Cronin is on a seven-second delay. I still got him by three. That's right. Still got him by three seconds. It's an old-school internet off, eh? Mm-hmm. Now, they both sent me the same thing, but I don't see the... I don't see where... It's a geek showdown. Yeah, I don't see it.
Draw your pocket protector. My fellow nerds and I will retire to the nerdery with our calculators. I think so. That's news to me. Well, duh. I've been looking for it. I don't want to steal Mike's thunder. A good friend wouldn't do that. Tell Mike, hello. That's it. Goodbye. I'm not going to waste my time. arguing with a man who's lining up to be a hot lunch. Their favorite scenes. Oh my gosh, they're so weird. Remember that part? We should just assign each other characters and then just recreate the whole movie. Sky, you be Quint. I want to be the shark. You want to be John? Yep. I think that I am familiar with the fact that you are going to ignore this particular problem until it swims up and bites you on the ass. Walk away, Hooper. Walk away, Hooper.
That's awesome. He used to live in our neighborhood. Nuh-uh. They moved. Oh, they sold their house? They sold their house. And my wife met him. Yeah. Returned a wallet to him. Yeah, tell the story. And he put his hands over his heart and went, you're an angel. Shut up. That's what he said to her. No way. When she brought back his wife's wallet. Oh, my gosh. And then he goes, it's as if two pounds. pirates were fighting each other this morning, and then you came along and saved the day. It's not like that, though, Richard. You weren't there. I wonder what he meant by that, though. I don't know. What did that even mean? His wife were fighting because she lost her wallet, and they were like pirates when he did it. As a reward, he gave her an autographed Mr. Holland's Opus trading card. I used to have the whole set.
Really cool. I used to have the whole set. No, those things are invaluable. Here's to swimming with boat-legged women. You've heard that one before, right? My favorite scene. Hasn't Bunny Bruce said that at your birthday, Adam? Time or two? Here's to swimming with boat-legged women. Awful. For your health. Japanese submarine slammed two torpedoes into the side of our boot, chief. He was coming back from the island of Tinian Bilahi. He just delivered the boom, the Japanese boom. I had to do something. I liked it. Didn't see the first shark for about an hour and a half. Tiger, 13-footer. You know how you know when you're in the water, chief? We've all seen the movie.
Tell by looking from the dorsal to the tail. He didn't know. What about when the eyes were back? Well, our bomb mission had been so secret, Chief. Oh, nobody knew what it was. That was boring. But I want to hear about how the eyes were back in their head. That very first light, Chief. Sharks come cruising, so we form ourselves into tight groups, you know. Yeah. You were fine, right? I did. Did it work? That's the USS Indianapolis. You were on the Indianapolis? You were on the Indianapolis? Is that a breath? Japanese submarine slammed two torpedoes into her side, Chief. She's coming back. Sky is so out. She is out, man. For 20 minutes. Yeah. Guy stuff. I feel like halfway through the movie. I'm not going to win in the water. The vessel went down in 12 minutes.
Didn't see the first shark for about half an hour. Tiger, 13-footer, you know? You know that when you're in the water, Chief? You tell by looking from the dorsal to the tail. Because our bomb mission had been so secret, the distress signal had been sent. They didn't even list as overdue for a week. Very first light, Chief. Sharks come cruising. So we formed ourselves into tight groups. There it is. Like old squares in a battle. Like you see in a calendar. Like the Battle of Waterloo. And the idea was. Shark comes to the nearest man. And when he starts pounding and hollering and screaming. Sometimes the shark go away. Sometimes he wouldn't go away. Sometimes that shark, he looks right into you. Right into your eyes. The thing about a shark, he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eye. When he comes at you, he doesn't seem to be living.
Until he bites you. All those black eyes roll over wide. And then you hear that terrible high-pitched screaming. Action turns red. In spite of all the pounding and the heart, rip you to pieces. In that first door, lost a hundred men. I don't know how many sharks. Maybe a thousand. I don't know how many men. They average six an hour. On Thursday morning, Chief, I bumped into a friend of mine, Obi Robinson from Cleveland. Over to wake him up. Popped up. That's like a can of top. This guy's pretty bitten in half, but all the waste. This guy just gave Eddie the earboard, too, look. It's good, though. I like it. It's good stuff. Younger than Mr. Hooper, anyway, he saw us, and he come in low, and three hours later, a big fat PBY comes down and starts to pick us up. You know, that was the time I was most frightened. Michael Jackson's on. Waiting for my turn. PBY's a sandwich. I'll never put on a life jacket again. With milk. So, oh, 1,100 men went in the water.
There we go. There it is. Thank you, Sean. Anyway, we delivered the bomb. We're done, Sean. I love it. I love it. It was almost over. Oh, I thought it was... Get that popcorn off your dress. Where is it? Under your boob. I can't find it because... Let me send a search team. Yes. If only that kernel of popcorn had a flare. Well, it's a secret mission. Some sort of smoke signal. Under these bad boys. Yeah, that's right. It's hiding under a canopy. At least it's safe from the rain. That's right. Could rain for 40 days, 40 nights, and never see a drop of water. Completely hidden. Like a rainforest down there. That is, if the rainforest were gorgeous. The Grand Teton. Leave the rocks on you. I don't like this new game you're playing. Me neither, Sean. It's a trick, you know. It's not funny.
74 minutes go by. I don't like it at all. Random times. Whatever, dude. It's terrible. Let's see. Health officials continue the salmonella probe. Yep, they're still working on it, Mike. They haven't figured anything out yet. Looking for the poo-poo tomatoes. They haven't thought anything. Keira Knightley's mom's defending her being so skinny. Yeah, she says she's tired of the press claiming her daughter is anorexic or bulimia. Bulimia. She's saying that about her own daughter? She's saying she's tired of the press reporting that. Oh, oh, oh, but that she's not. Right, and that the press is basically just like a bunch of bullies on the playground. My daughter is not anorexic. She's just...
Treadfully unhealthy. She says that Keira Knightley is just like her dad, and when her dad was her age... Her father was bulimic as well. ...that he was even skinnier than she is, and he would have to drink milk with honey and eggs in it. And salt and a little mint. To try and put on some weight. Paula Abdul single again. Oh, yeah, dudes, everybody. Paul Abdul single. She's on the market, Eddie. Oh, yeah. She had been, like, for quite a few months with some dude who was, like, 12 years younger than her. Whatever. Yeah, they have broken up, so she's single. Hey, check this one out, man. Stan Winston died, 62 years old. Oscar-winning special effects guru. Oh, he's awesome. Yeah, he did the Alien. He did the Terminator. He did some great stuff for The Thing. All that stuff, Stan Winston. Jurassic Park. Yeah, man. In Jurassic Park, he made those things look real. Jurassic Park? You never saw Jurassic Park? No, I never did. It was released two weeks after Jurassic Park. I mean, what is going on around here? First Jurassic was released, you know, kind of small release, and then Jurassic Park was released, wide release. Was that before or after meat rats? Well, they were the dinosaurs. Meat rats actually evolved into... Jurassic Park. Into...
Is that near Kanohe? Oh, stop it. Wileyhoo. Shut up. All right, then. I think we're all done for today. 570-1053 is the phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show. It's an open phone segment. You can call about anything you want. Yes, Ashley. Rob and I have an appearance tonight. Oh, no way. Oh, a joint appearance? You guys are appearing together? Yeah. That's not safe. This is an exclusive. That's not safe. We got the band back together. It's a bridal accessories show. We're going to, no, the Bikini contest going on every Tuesday. So tonight we're going to be at Kane's Bar and Grill from 7 to 9 p.m. Come down. Super one. Hang out with us.
Rob's great. He's real good at playing the host with the mic. He's funny. It's entertaining. I learned it from the best. You know, my boy Eddie taught me everything I know. And also, they're going to be having the game down there tonight. So, Celtics Lakers, you can catch it at Canes with us from 7 to 9. Right. So, you can watch the Celtics and then watch babes in bikinis. It's like, where else would you want to be? That's the both worlds. Sweet berry wine. Sweet berry wine. Peanut Noor. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey. What's up? What's up? You know what? I don't think it's, Eddie, I'm with you. I don't think it's dyslexia with Skye. It's trichinosis. It's going to be eaten undercooked ham. That's right. Skye, you've got to be careful with it. Skye, cook that stuff to 160 degrees. Come get some ham. Please. Connie baked. Mikey show. It's Mikey. Damn it. Oh, wow. That is weird. What do you think it is? I mean, because sometimes they'll do that. Like, they wanted to say something to Rob. Maybe Rob's friends call up. Gabe, I'll call you in a little bit. Mikey Show. Kia! Kia! No, Sean. I got to go take that clear channel test back in my office right now. Shut your mouth. Do Jeff and Jer take that test? No way. No, not a chance.
Well, they probably have someone take it for them. Sky, you are super confident that you do. Well, no. That they do. I'm saying that it gets done. I'm not saying that they actually take it. I'm saying that according to. What are you accusing them of? I'm saying according to records, they take that test. What about Dave Rickards? Do you think that he takes the test? I believe he does. Because he is a wonderful human being. All right. Here's what you do, dude. What? We're going to sell some sweet berry wine. Sweet berry wine. Sweet berry wine. Peanut. Peanut, Nora. Can you get Shauna on the phone, please? Shauna. Are you going to try and talk your way out of it? No, I'm not. I have genuine and honest questions. I want to ask her real questions. Okay. I want to ask. I'm being totally serious. This is trouble. No, no, no. I'm totally being serious. This is trouble time. I'm not saying what the content of it is or anything like that. I just have genuine. This is bad. Eddie said it. Everyone. Everyone. I'm going to talk to our program director. She's our fearless leader, Shauna. Hello. Wow. What was that? That was my son, Jake, doing Elmo. Listen again. Cute kid. Awesome.
So, in all seriousness, Shauna, do you think that Jeff and Jer, do they take that test? Everybody does. I know, but do they really take it for real? Well, I don't know. I don't watch what they do. What about Dave Rickards? I try to avoid them as much as possible. I don't know any of this. What about Dave Rickards? Do you think that he takes that test? I have to say yes. I think everyone, well, you have to. Yeah, Mike. Yeah. You gotta do it. You gotta do it. It's like a 45-minute long online test that we have to take. And you learn so much from it. I know. I know. I agree. I agree. But we've already taken it. It's a thing that we have to take it every single year. You're a jerk. I'm a jerk. No. I didn't say that. I didn't say that. I was talking to... No, I heard you, Eddie. And I have an email calling me a jerk, too. So I know it was you. You're right. That must be... I did send that email. I'm sorry. I'm like, hi guys, how are you doing today? Can you do this? And his response is, you're a jerk. Sorry. That's funny. Shana, would you mind taking it for me? I would mind taking it for you. That's fair. I think that's fair. That's a good deal. Honestly, I think that's pretty fair. That's a nice compromise. I think that's a good compromise if you would do it for me. I've already taken the test. Okay. Then it'd be easy for you to pay. Then why don't you take it for him, jerk?
No. Shauna. I'm going to send this tape to Home Records. That's right. Home Records is getting this a day. Home Records. Home Records. Send. Send. You're so dumb. And to Home Records all. Home Records. CC all. Home Records. CC company. Home Records. Everyone. CC everyone. CC. That isn't looking so bad. Home Records. And you're busted. And Suzanne. Please don't send it to home records, Eddie, please. Shawna, I'm going to come up there and I'm going to take the test in your office. That's a good compromise. I'll be down in your office having a promotion meeting. That's a bad compromise. This is not fair. Oh, just do it. I love Shawna. I love her. The amount of time you've taken talking about it. Oh, come on now. You got time to lean, Mike. You got time to bling. Take the test. Okay, I'll see you down there and I'll help you with the test. Thank you. Oh, that's cheating. I'll help you get to it and then you can take it. Will you take it for me? No. Thank you. Okay, then I'll talk to you later. Goodbye. Bye. She's mean. She's really mean. Best boss ever. Mikey show. The ham horn.
It's a ham horn. Ham horn. Ham. Do you have to point when you laugh? Seriously. You don't know I'm laughing at you. Meek cat. Mikey show. I have a question for Scott. I refuse to answer. It's even better. It's meek cat. I was playing at Distinction Gallery the other night, and I gave you a CD. If you listen to it, yes. No. Did you listen to it? No, it's sitting on my kitchen counter. I want to put it in my CD player in my car, but I haven't yet. I'm sorry. What is it? He was the DJ that was spinning at the art gallery that I went to over the weekend, and he gave me a CD to listen to. What is it? Is it him spinning? Is the CD of him spinning? Spinning music. That's cool. Sky would love that stuff. She likes that. Yeah, I just haven't put it in my CD player yet, but I got it on my kitchen counter, bro. Right on. Thank you, dude.
Love you, guys. All right, man. Thanks. Love you. Mikey Show. Hello, this is T1, son of a gunslinger. Hi. Hi. I was just calling in to say that now that it's summer, I'm glad that I can listen to the whole show instead of having to listen to only a certain segment before going to school. How old are you? I'm 11. That's pretty cool, man. Thank you. That's pretty cool. 11 means you're in 6th grade. No, no, no. No, Mike. 6th grade. Yeah, 6th grade. Yeah, sixth grade, right? Yeah. Yep. What were you... Wait, are you going into sixth or... Yeah, I'm going into sixth. You're going into sixth. Big time. What kind of stuff were you learning in fifth right before you got out? What? Before you got out of school, what were you learning about? I was just... I was learning about the Civil War and... I guarantee... I guarantee that you know more... I guarantee it as well. ...about the Civil War than me... Maybe not Eddie. Definitely know more than me, Sky, Ashley, and Zeth. There's no way he knows more than Rob. Can you ask us a question about the Civil War? Sure. Okay. Go ahead. Well, actually, any can't really come to mind right now. Don't put him on the spot. Call us back, man. That would be fun. Hey, I got an idea. Maybe we should do like a game, you know, like where he's in fifth grade and we'll call it like.
Who's smarter than a fifth grader or something? Oh, my gosh, I love that. How would that work? How would that work? Basically, you'd have him ask, you know, to have questions. Like fifth grade level questions and see if we know it. Like, who's smarter than a fifth grader? Wow. That is good. Genius. Let's get Jeff Fox ready to... To be cool, yeah. Why him, though? Sorry, my mouth is bugging me. Oh, it's all right. Just take another Vicodin. I've only taken one. All right, 11-year-old young man. We'll talk to you later. Thank you for calling. We love you. Sweet Bear 1. Mikey Show. How many times? He got through again. Again? Meerkat. Okay. Stop it. That's my favorite. Hey, Mike. He said the actual one. He said it right. Meerkat. Meerkat. That's what Skye said. Mikey's show. I don't know, but we're going to only get a ticket on one more call. And then Shauna's got to do my test. Mikey's show, hello. Hey, guys. I'm kind of bummed. Today's the last day I get to listen to you guys. Where are you going? I'm going to Waiakai Beach. Oh, I bet you think you're so funny. I see what he did right there. I see what he did. Skye's not funny.
Everybody knows it's Waikiki. Lovely, talented Missy is up next. She has a request lunch hour on the nooner today. So call in and request your stuff. And then we'll see you back here tomorrow morning at 5.30. The mic shows out late. Love your mouth.
