The hosts announced the upcoming "gas monkey" promotion where Boston Rob in a monkey suit would give gas cards to cars displaying the new P1 sticker starting August 4. They also discussed Comic-Con's evolution into a pop culture convention, previewing films like Fringe and noting celebrities such as Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell attending. Other notable topics included the Joker performance debate, a lawsuit where a high school student claimed she was called ugly and kicked by a teacher, and the Kohl's 30% coupon controversy.

We'll be right back. Oh, baby, please
Please, please don't leave me Don't leave me Oh, baby, please Oh, baby, please All right Welcome to the program, everybody. It is 6-0-2. Well, this is some good news. Gas prices have gone down for the last six days in a row. Check off a walk-off double in the 11th inning as a new way for the Padres to lose.
They fall to the Reds 4-3 in 11 innings. That's not good. Well, welcome to the program, everybody. Our phone number is 570-1053. And you can call us at the beginning and the end of every show, so we'd love to hear from you right now. And our text number is 35253, so use that as well. Is Ashley and Eddie not signed on to their cameras? Signing on right now.
I, I, I'm having some printer issues, but other than that, this has been the best day working from home. I think we're, I think we're dialed in. You good to go back right in? I think so, yeah. You know, today I'm going to try some equestrian stuff. See how that, see how that works out. Rebecca will probably have to pick me up, put me on the horse, but once I'm on the horse. i'm good to go good to go how are the friendly friends how are you guys doing sky looks ravishing today whoa cpr cpr stop more whatever yeah we're having uh technical
difficulties with the email mic so that's why i haven't got you the news and sports yet So that's coming. We're working it out. For some reason, I can't receive emails from Eddie. He sent me like three and I can't receive them. Oh, boy. Awesome! Well, other than those little minor things, we're good to go. And Ash, you can't get signed onto your computer? I mean, your camera? She's doing it right now.
I really thought the crescendo would hit it perfectly. All right. Well, 570-1053, call us right now. Beginning and end of every show, we do open phones. And the cool thing is I am going to be able to control the phone calls myself. Yippee! I'm going to be able to control picking up the lines, hanging up the lines, and doing all of that. So, very excited about doing that today. I lost even more weight, you guys.
What the heck? I know it. I got on the scale this morning, and I had lost three pounds since yesterday. So, maybe the reading that I got yesterday just was not as accurate. I'm hoping that that's what it is instead of the other way around. Are you eating meals? Well, I haven't eaten since Kramer vs. Kramer first came out. I mean, that didn't mean... Two mornings in a row. I had popcorn in the theater. Right out of the gate. Really? Okay. But other than that... Whatever.
That is unacceptable. I agree. I agree. It really is offensive. So, let's go around and introduce everybody. I'm Mikey. I am the host of The Mikey Show. I am 38 years old, and I'm wearing a polo, pullover type shirt today of the San Diego Chargers. Aww. nice. That's right. I feel like one of the coaches. Like I could be standing on the sideline in one of these shirts. To celebrate your compadre Luis Castillo's new contract? Oh, look at
that. I did not know, Eddie. Really? Signed a five-year extension with the club, so now they just got only Phillip Rivers and Sean Merriman to re-sign. So I'm sure that'll be really easy. Oh, wow. That's probably going to cost a lot of money you think i hope that there's not an issue there well you know and then after that just marcus mcneil chris chambers vincent jackson antonio comardi antonio gates so really oh i hope that that works yeah uh all right let's try i'm gonna try to answer one of these
phone lines 570-1053 call us right now and uh let's take your open phones we do that right now let's see mikey show hello good morning mikey show what's going on how are you man mikey i just want to say i love you and the show so much well thank you leonidas i appreciate that man it's very nice of you to say no problem you guys rock dude you guys get my mornings off to the best start ever, and I love it. That's very nice of you. Eddie, a tidbit of news with the Comic-Con coming up and the nerdiness going around.
Greetings! Greetings! I was just speaking with somebody and they found out that George Lucas is going to re-release the Star Wars movies in 3D. Oh, jeez. How many? I mean... Yeah, right? Dude. Do you want that even, Eddie? No. I don't. I don't care. I mean, enough is enough, you know? Yeah, someone was saying he's trying to milk the system. Dude, yeah. That cow is dry. It makes you... But on that topic, Chewbacca is the best wingman ever. That is true.
Okay. Doesn't it make you go, hey, don't you have everything, George? Well, you know, I'm sure you know that the Clone Wars is coming out in theaters in about a month. I didn't know that. Oh, yeah. Well, they're doing an animated theatrical release called The Clone Wars. That's coming out in theaters in a month, which, you know, I'm pretty excited about because it looks really cool. Okay.
But, you know, I mean, how many times are you going to release the older movies in theaters with a new little thing? You know, it's like, okay, I get it. Hey, Leonidas, thanks for calling, brother. Yeah, hey, I'm going to see John C. Reilly on Saturday, and I'll be sure to tell him, Sweetberry Wine! Sweetberry Wine? What do you mean? How are you going to see him? Oh, you're going to Tim and Eric. Sweetberry Wine! Sweetberry Wine! Peanut, Nora? Oh, thank you. He's actually going to be there with Will Ferrell. Yes, he's going to be at Comic-Con for Step Brothers with Will Ferrell. Yeah, Eddie was telling us the other day, man, that Comic-Con is not about just comic science fiction type stuff.
Like, if you have a big movie, right? It's kind of, I don't know why they call it Comic-Con anymore. It's kind of like pop culture con, you know, because, I mean, that's what it's all about now. Oh, yeah. I was reading this morning some of the celebrities that are going to be there and some of the, like, non-comic sci-fi celebrities, like Dakota Fanning's going to be there. Sweet. Jennifer Love Hewitt, Tori Amos, Neil Patrick Harris. I mean, there's going to be a whole bunch of, like, different kind of celebrities there. What a trip, right? Yeah, and, of course, we'll get the Keanu Reeves, the Mark Wahlbergs, you know, those kinds. Wow, sweet.
Who? Mark Wahlberg. Really? You don't say. Easy, yes. Promoting Max Payne. Yep. Video. Oh. So what day do you want to go, Eddie? I'll go any day, Rob. Perfect. Well, it's all sold out. I mean. I fly, you buy. But all the passes are sold out for every day. Interesting. Eddie's got his own car. Yeah, I'll pick you up. No problem, dude. Well, I mean, when you say I'll fly you by, usually, you know, sort of is an indication. I'm going to fly right over to his house, pick him up, and then he's paying for both of us. No, I don't.
It's going to be awesome. Awesome. High five. Yes. Necessary. Awesome. Can't wait. But hey, to each their own. What is today? Is it already Wednesday? Yeah. Can you believe it? It's already Wednesday. 570-1053. Open phones, folks. Call us. Love to hear from you. Oh, and the text number. If you're not a member of the Mikey Show P1 Text Army, we would love for you to be. All you have to do is text the word Mikey, M-I-K-E-Y, to 35253. And don't even worry about spelling it right.
We realize that people sometimes put Mickey and all kinds of different ways to spell it. And so we have programmed it so that you can mess it up in a variety of ways. Nice. I love technology. I know. Isn't it great? Really? Let's see. What? Are you happy with that? Anybody? You know, the gas prices fell for the sixth straight day. Yes. Yes, this is a good time. Awesome. I'm going to get a barrel and go fill up now. I know.
For real. That's a really good idea, Eddie. Uh-huh. Yeah, very interesting. Yeah, so, you know, I go to that website, SanDiegoGasPrices.com, where people go and post prices that they find around the county. So, you know, we're trusting the word of other people on this website. But the lowest gas in town, according to the site, was found at the Superstar Gas Station on West Main Street in El Cajon for $4.09 a gallon. Is that even real gas? I don't know. That sounds awesome.
Yeah, there were a couple postings for $4.09, a couple postings for $4.11 a gallon. That's gas water. Yeah, at the gas station right over here at the Arco that, you know, we normally go to right here by the radio station was 427 this morning when I drove in. So that's good. I mean, we were at like 450 a while ago. So that's pretty good. Yeah, dude. We are now desensitized, though, and believe that that's good. Yeah, I know. To us, you know what I mean? Like to us, that's a great price for gas, which is ridiculous. I'm going to try to venture out today to see The Dark Knight.
Oh. I'm going to try to. That's a really long movie, Mike. It's two and a half, right? Yeah, dude. Two and a half hours. But, you know, I really want to see it. I'll try to get... Rebecca will drive. And I will... You're going to fly. She's going to fly, so I'll buy. Oh, that's cool. That's a good deal. Yeah, and if I get all drained and stuff, I'll stand up. But it looks like it's going to be really good, so I'm excited. Let's see. I'm going to try some of these phone calls again. Line one is P1 Zorro.
What's up, dude? Hey, what's up? What's going on? Yeah, I was just wondering with the whole gas price situation, what Gassy Claws' take was. That's a really good question. So to her. I'll tell you what, let's reach out now and go live to Gassy Claws. They're hard to watch. Yes, Old St. Toots, and we will try to get an accurate reading in terms of what is happening out in, as we call it in the biz, in the field. Dr. Pezzo, come in.
Dr. Pezzo, are you there? Inspector Poops, can you hear me? Come in, Inspector Poops. Silent Squeaker M.D. the dark squeak are you there why are we not maybe we're having technical difficulty is that what it is she's a beautiful adult female and her name is Skye well you know how the
the old internet Hershey Highway works that's right that's right you know how that can be oh well well maybe a little later we'll be able to check in with Sergeant Skidmarks and see exactly what the deal is with old St. Ashley's dog. We'll see if anything's working out with that just a little bit later on. Thank you so much. In the meantime, P1, Logan, are you there? Yeah, I'm there, Mikey.
I just want to let you know, Dark Knight, seen it three times within 24 hours. Wow, man, that is unbelievable. So if the movie is two and a half hours long, it means you've spent seven and a half out of the last 24 hours in the movie theater watching that. I guess so. Who did you go with, by yourself,
or did you take somebody? wife, and then the second two times I took my two brother-in-laws, her brothers. She was cool with that? I flew and they bought. And she was cool with seeing it that many times? Oh, no. She only saw it once. Okay. She said that. She said it scared her. He's pretty intimidating. I love it. I'm a comic freak. There you go, dude.
Thank you, Logan. I appreciate it, man. 570-1053, you can call in right now about anything you want, beginning and end of every show. It's open phones. And let's see, P1, warning. Are you there, warning? Yeah, it's here, Mikey. What's up, dude? I just want to say good morning to everybody. Good morning. I have a question for everybody that's in the Black Knight. Uh-huh. Well, it's not the Black Knight. Dog Knight. Wait, what's this? I wish I was. Starring King Rames?
Shut up. Does Vijay sing in this? Oh, no. Oh, no. That's so funny. That's not good when you get that. Does Tate Diggs play Robin? I heard it was Tyrese. Yeah. Okay, whatever. My question is, who thought was better for a Joker? Mike Tyson as the Joker? Hey, can you just let the man ask his question, please?
Everyone, please. Thank you. Thank you very much. Go ahead. Go ahead, Dark Knight. I'm black and I'm proud. Who thought was better for the Joker? Heath Ledger or Jack Nicholson? Who thought was the better Joker? I haven't seen it, so I can't give you an opinion on that. But Sky's seen it, and so has Ashley. I know, I know, that's what I was asking. I mean, I know you haven't seen it yet, but for my opinion of, I don't know your guys' opinion of who was a better actor. Yeah, I think the Heath Ledger Joker is more believable because he's, like, crazy and twisted.
I mean, I guess they're all crazy, but it's like the Jack Nicholson Joker. It's like, oh, ooh, you're going to deface paintings and artwork, and, oh, you're going to have your makeup all, like, perfect all the time. Like, I think the Heath Ledger one was more like, to me, what a real criminal is, you know? Like a real twisted, abused person would be. Yeah, Heath Ledger looks like a real person, not cartoonish. Yeah. And a Jack Nicholson looked like a cartoon. Well, but it's completely different. That's what I was going to say. It's tough.
Two totally different tones of movies. Exactly. Yeah, but if I were to pick, it would be Heath Ledger. Well, you're a very dark person. Yeah, I was going to say exactly what Eddie said. It's really tough to compare the two performances. They are so differently played. Completely differently played. Skye despised Heath Ledger's performance. She was talking about that the other day on the air. I never said anything like that. She said the only reason why people are talking about it is because he's dead. No. That's right. That is true. I think it got a little extra overhyped because he's dead. It was good, but I don't think it was the best performance ever in the world. In fact, she said she wanted to dig him up and rebury him.
That's how bad. I think she did. What does that even mean? So inappropriate when she said it, but spit on the grave and then rebury. That's right. Which I thought was terrible. I would never. You're a bad person. Let's see. Oh, no. Oh, no. Well, that's true, but I don't know what it has to do with. No, no, no, no. Let me continue to introduce everybody. Our producer and sports guy is Eddie, and he is 35 years of age. He's handsome. Oh, what? Sky is our news girl. She is 30 years old.
Hi, Mike. Yeah, hi, Skye. She is a good gal with some curly hair, I'll tell you that right now. Then you got Shawnee, oh boy. And Sean is 38 years old. He's very tall. And he is quite an interesting character. What do I mean by that? How do I put it? Translate. How can I? I don't know. How can I? Crazy? I was going to try to put it more gentle.
That's what I was going for, for sure. I was just going to try to do it in a way. That's probably not the most gentle word of it is. Fervor. But there he is, and he's our friend. And then you have Ashley, our assistant producer. Ashley does a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff. Very young girl. She's 25. Unless she forgets. Unless she forgets. That is true. That's true. Sometimes she does. It's okay. Sometimes she does. But the thing about Ashley is, you know, she's your typical Southern California kind of girl.
She's got blonde hair and she's got tan skin. She got put in the main screen on the camera and got so excited. It's closer up and bigger. It's closer up and bigger. It's my time on the big screen. Yeah, you're famous. See how much closer and bigger it is. That's right. Let's see. And then there is Boston Rob. And Boston Rob is 25 years old. Going to Comic Con with Eddie.
He's buying for me. I don't know. Whenever Eddie wants to go, I'm just going to pick him up. I may go, but I'm not bringing you. How are you going to get there? I'm driving. I have a car and the trolley. Are you going to leave me outside? What? Come on. Don't play. He wants somebody to get him in there. I think that's the deal. I can put him in my backpack and sneak him in. That's true. He wants to see Mark Wahlberg. A tad roomie, but you could do it. I'll put a blanket in there.
Eddie, why don't you have a beer and then just put them in the can. They don't let outside. That'd be awesome. They don't let outside. I see. His feet wouldn't be able to touch the bottom. I forgot about that. I'll put them underneath the tongue of my shoe. There you go. That'll work. Does anybody have an empty can of chewing tobacco? Yeah. He'll just sit right in there. And lay down on his side. Where's he going to sleep in? Oh, that's good. That is true. Rob is our phone screener.
He's a singer-songwriter. He does a lot of songs for the show, and he's a good guy. We love him. 5701053. Call us right now. Request stuff. Mention stuff you saw on TV. Bring up topics. It's an open forum, so you can basically talk about anything that you want to. Seth is on the show, too. Yes, I was saying finally. Oh, no. Why did she do that? I don't know. I thought he forgot Seth. No, I just, you know, I wanted to get that plug of the phone, and then I was going to Seth, and then I was just saying, final, finally, finally, yes, don't forget Seth.
Did he say Seth yet? Oh, for goodness sake. Oh, my gosh. Finally, there is Roosevelt. Eddie! Eddie! It's not my spot. He's not forgetting. Sean, don't put this sound effect. He is our friend. He's a good friend. He's 23 years old, and his name is Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Jr. Esquire, M.D. Oh. Boozy. That's right. That's right. He's a good kid.
He's a good kid. And let's see. It says that basically Zeth witnessed an altercation at Starbucks last night. Here we go. Yeah, that's pretty awesome. No way. Why does that mean? Right on. Yeah, I was driving home, really tired, so I decided to stop and get coffee. And the guy in front of me, you could tell, was one of the guys who would come into that particular Starbucks, like, all the time. So he's up there up front. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just completely chatting, like, with the person making the coffee. And she's kind of like, okay, dude, like, kind of be quiet, move, move along. And I was behind him, and the guy behind me was kind of like, ah, ah, like, getting more and more, like, irritated with it.
He finally goes, like, come on, man. Like, I got to be somewhere. Was it Rob? Rob-like without the throat tattoo. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And the guy was just kind of like, excuse me. He's like, you heard me, man. Come on. He's like, oh, all right, all right, all right. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hold you up. And he just kind of went along his way. Right. But that was pretty much it. I love watching people get into it at the Starbucks because somebody's having a good time in conversation but you know those people that jones for coffee man you can't mess with them that's right well it's probably in that situation some people just cannot handle standing in line
like i can't i was in home depot the other day and the person at the front of the register was paying in some sort of like gift card scratcher type of fashion nice where they had like they had It was like 25 of these little cards, but they needed to be scratched with like a coin to be redeemed. So the line is backing up and backing up. And finally, the person in front of me just flipped out and lost it. It's like, forget about it. I can't. This is ridiculous. Who waits to scratch them?
I'm going inside. I was out at the garden section. So the person like huffed and puffed and stomped their feet inside. Well, I mean, listen, when you think about it, don't you go, can't they have a section that's set aside for people that have these scratcher? They might as well call them hold up the line cards. Yeah, it was weird. You know what I mean? Yeah, and you know what I blogged about yesterday? I'm sure you all read it because you all read my blog. But, Mike, what happened to me was I was in a subway line and we did not, me and my boyfriend were getting subway last week. We did not move in.
and we're waiting there there's like five people in front of us five minutes go by we don't move an inch we're like what is going on oh turns out guy at the front of the line is ordering for the whole office has one of those little crinkled up pieces of white paper ordering 20 sandwiches you know it's like yeah yeah you know when you think about that even if they had called it in they got to make those sammies yeah but you have to understand that they would have because i talked to the subway woman by the time we got to the front line her and i discussed about how what bs
that was and i'm like i'm like i'm sorry you just had to go through that she goes right she goes it's like the least he could do is call it in so we have time to prepare because they were all out of wheat you know wheat rolls like he'd used them all up had they known in advance that's basically God telling you that Subway sucks. No. Eddie, listen, you guys. You hear me say this about once a year. I did it again, dude. Mike! It doesn't change.
She looked at me like, why did you do that? What did you do? I was starving. I mean, literally, I was about to die. I'm sure. I can relate to that. And so I was stupid and I went into Subway and, uh, I, you know, they have even those hot sandwiches and I, and I'm looking at their, I'm looking at their bread, man, and they open up the oven with the glass door and you see all this steam billow out and it smells delicious. And I'm like, this can't go wrong. I'm thinking in my head, I'm like, this can't go wrong.
That just smelled wonderful when that opened up right there. Yeah. And I ordered a turkey club. And they take that, you know, that cold bacon that's all flat and hard. With congealed grease. The congealed cold bacon that they take with... I don't even know what that means. Well, which word? Congealed. Congealed. Conagulated. Yes, congealed means that it's... Oh, coagulated. Yeah, I know what that means. It's like it's got jelly on it.
Yeah. Congealed is fat that's gone hard. Okay. And so they take the bacon strips that have been cooked four days before or whatever. You don't know that. Sure, it was done that morning. Sure, it was done that morning. Fresh. And they put that on there, and I take it, and I drive home, I reach into the bag, I take it out, I put it in my mouth, and I go, this is gross. The worst. And I don't know why. I keep trying it.
Oh, I love it. It's so healthy. It's so healthy. I get my turkey sub, and I know exactly how many calories, carbs, and fat I'm taking. It's a perfect meal for someone who's watching their way. Sky and Ashley, those food connoisseurs, love Subway. And my wife. And my wife. Welcome. Who doesn't like anything. So, anyway, 570-105-3 is our phone number. And guess who is on the line, ladies and gentlemen. I'm nervous. It's a guy that you know named P1 T-Rex. Oh, yay.
I like him. What's happening, dude? What's up, T-Money? Not much, man. How are you doing, Eddie? You know. Hello, lady. Rolling large. Love it. Yeah, I hope you got your new house, man. Congratulations. Thanks, brother. Cool. Mikey, one thing. Can you describe me? How are you at home? Are you laying in bed or are you in your office sitting up? I'm in my office. I'm in my office sitting at my desk. Okay, cool. So you're pretty comfortable after your surgery and stuff? I am, but when I sit here for a while, I got to get up.
I have these big binders around my middle holding everything in place, big Velcro binders. And when I sit here for a little while, it's a little uncomfortable. So I'll get up and walk around and stuff and sometimes take them off because they get itchy. Okay, cool. You put a little ice on it too? I don't put any ice on it. I don't put any ice on it. I do not do that. Cool. Okay. Okay. My wife called me skinny yesterday. Oh.
How'd that make you feel? Oh, it made me feel, yeah, I've lost, now I've lost over 30. Sounds good, right? I've lost about 36 pounds now. Awesome. I lost 33, and I got on the scale this morning, and I lost three more, so somewhere around the area of 36 pounds so uh yeah not bad that's huge i like being less than more less is more p1 ronda wants to say happy birthday to her kid and we're gonna let her because it's open phones go ahead ronda all right good morning i would love to say happy birthday to my son who
turns 22 today and he listens to your show ritually what does he do he works at target no There you go. There you go. And so you want to give a shout out to him. What's your name? My name is Rhonda. And I want to say happy birthday to my son, Andrew. And I love you very much from your mom. Are you taking Andrew out for dinner or anything? He actually is closing work today, 2 to 11. That's why I wanted to give a shout out. There you go. There you go. All right. Well, thank you very much, Rhonda. I appreciate the phone call. Thank you.

And if you are hating these gas prices as much as we are, then we are going to do something to relieve that. And just after 7 o'clock, we will tell you all about what we're going to be doing. It's pretty amazing.
Coming up this hour, we're going to be talking to Rian Johnson. This dude is a shark expert. Oh, my. That's right, man. I love shark stuff. And he's the co-host of the National Geographic channel movie called Sharkville. It's going to be premiering Friday night at 10 o'clock. Shark Week. Shark Week, man. And so we'll have this guy on. We got the YouTube clip of the day will be coming up, and it will involve Will Ferrell. So I think you'll enjoy that.
Definitely, definitely today we are going to get to B-Rob's song that we've only played once, maybe twice the most. His song. We've only played it once. Oh, Rob knows that. It's his song, Hands Free. And so we will be playing that. Have you guys called Rob recently and noticed that he changed the music on his, uh... No. He did? Yeah, the music that you listen to is no longer sublime. The Mikey Show stand-up spotlight on Rock 105.3. We used to love peanut butter. Still do. I saw something in the store the other day that I don't understand. That peanut butter and jelly in the same jar. Is there a point to that? I mean, I'm lazy, but I'm going to meet the guy that needs that. Some guy going, you know, I could go for a sandwich, but I'm not going to open two jars. I can't be opening and closing all kinds of jars. Cleaning who knows how many knives.
If you're that lazy, why don't I put croutons in there? Get the whole sandwich on a spoon. You know, just scooping it out. Oh, scrumptious. I think I'm going to have another one. Delectable. As was the first. Or if you don't want to clean the spoon, you put it on a squeeze bottle. Mmm, lunch and no cleanup. Can life get better? I submit that it cannot. We're hoping he'll slip into something more comfortable. Like a coma. It's Mikey. Hey, check this out. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Hey, yeah. Mikey Show back on the air. It is 6.41. Well, this sucks. Former Golden Girl, Estelle Getty, has died at the age of 84. Oh, jeez, Skye. I know, that sucks. The worst. This also sucks. The Padres are trying to cut payroll. Trades pitcher Randy Wolfe. To the Astros. Well, he also sucked. Well.
Welcome back. It is the Mikey Show. And, yeah, yeah, before we went to break, I'm going to tell you, what did I say we wanted to talk about, Sky? Oh, the beach booze ban. Beach booze ban, yeah. Are we going to have, Sky, are we going to be having a beach booze ban in the entire county? Or what are we going to do? No. Basically, the deal is with the beach booze ban is that the city council voted for a one-year beach booze ban, which has been in effect on the San Diego beaches, the beaches that are in the city of San Diego.
And now the city councilmen, a couple of them, think that it's so good because it's like a one-year trial thing right now. But they think it's so good and it's been so effective that what they want to do is they want to put it on the November ballot and the people who live in the city of san diego will get to vote on to on making the beach booze ban permanent oh wow yeah so that because right now you know it's just a one just in those just in those areas yeah so the areas that currently have the beach booze ban you know the beaches in the city of san diego um they want to put it on the ballot to make it permanent oh wow yeah
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how, you know, if it happens, how the city of San Diego votes on that. Hey, it looks like the first person in San Diego now has the West Nile virus this year. Oh, come on. No. Yeah, the first person this year has been... But I feel fine. Yeah, it's a 24-year-old guy from San Diego. And I guess he got some flu-like symptoms, which turned into meningitis, went into the doctor, It turns out, yeah, West Nile virus. Oh, come on.
So he's the seventh person in the state to be diagnosed this year. That's crazy. And that's really bad, right? Yes. West Nile virus is in fact. Is it a fatal disease? Well, it can be for the elderly, people with very weak immune systems, but it still can make you very sick. Yeah, real weak, dude. Yeah, weak, dude. Great. Oh, good. Yeah, good, dude. Here, here, here, bug bite. Here, here, here, off spray. Let's see.
This is, Sky just mentioned Estelle Getty. So sad. I know it. Everybody remembers Estelle Getty. Here is a clip of her work. Cut eight. Dorothy, what are you doing now? Her banging woke me. What are you talking about? The toilet seat. Four women live in this house. The toilet seat never has to move. You always manage to make it back. Forgive me, sweetheart. Why don't you just get me a litter box to keep next to my knife? Can you tell me now?
Funny little lady. There it is. You guys want a random debate question that was just texted to us? How about this one? Now, this is pretty interesting. Random debate. Would you rather become a complete vegan or have to slaughter and butcher your own meat? Easy. Really? Really? Very easy. Extremely easy. So easy. The easiest question ever asked. Yeah. I already know. Diamond and jelly. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Yeah, it is, Eddie. It is, Skye. It is. Skye would be vegan, right, Skye? Duh. No two ways about it, right? Uh-huh, uh-huh. Eddie? Dude, I'm hunting with a crossbow. Whoa! And I'm cutting my meat. what if you had to do it the way they do it though what do you mean in other words you're not going to hunt the cow you got to slaughter the cow like they do yeah i'm fine with that you'll do it absolutely whether it's the air compression or whatever that's hysterical Hey, that is not hysterical. Oh, my.
That is not. It isn't? Who wants man meat? That's horrendous. Throw the chicken in a dryer or however they do it. I don't know. I don't care. I want some man meat. I think it would be interesting. I do not want to do it, but I don't think I could go vegan. No way. I don't think I could go vegan. Shawnee, what about you? I would definitely, you know, slaughter my own. I think you already do, don't you, Sean? Yeah, no kidding.
All right. No, you know, I used to go hunting a lot with my grandfather and my uncle. And, you know, we would be out there. And, you know, you have to take care of them, you know, before you take them back. You know, you've got to skin them and gut them and all that. And we did all that stuff. Ashley, what about you? I practically already am vegan. No, you're not. Oh, my God. Eddie, I can't handle that. I mean, I can't handle that. That's going to make me insane. It's ridiculous. I mean, it's going to make me want to lose my mind. You had Mexican a few days ago.
Yeah, and I was so sick. But you had a Subway sandwich, was it, huh, Miss? Yes, well, turkey's okay on a deli sandwich. That's why I'm a part of the vegetarian. Subway is not a deli. You guys are confused. Eddie, this guy, I don't know what to do when she says these things. I'm not kidding you guys like the other day I was cooking with my honey and I was making us dinner and I was like cleaning the chicken and I started to freak out because it was too like breast of chicken and I'm like honey I can't touch this meat anymore like it looks too weird like I'm freaking out so I ended up not even eating
what I cooked and he had to finish rinsing and cutting the chicken because I couldn't hold it it was freaking me out but the thing is is that you eat it all the time not all the time If it was prepared for you, you would have eaten it. What? If it was prepared for you? If I was in the mood, some days I can't eat meat. It trips me out, and I can't eat meat off the bone ever, and stuff like that. I can't really eat hard meat, like red meat. No, I love ribs, actually. I can't eat ribs. They freak me out. 570-1053 is the phone number.
Rob, would you go vegan or slaughter and butcher your own meat? I'll go hunt some veal. No problem, dude. You can't hunt it. That's the deal. You can't hunt it. You got to do it the way they do it. Yeah. You'll do it. Oh, yeah. Easy street. Really? Mm-hmm. How about you, Zethian Oates? Yeah, bring me that cow. I'll hit him with a stun gun. That's what I'll do. Okay. Stop it. I think guys, by and large, do not have a problem. I think guys, by and large, could slaughter and butcher their own meat, but women, no way. They'd rather be vegan than do it. Oh, yeah. Oh, that's so interesting. That's why we run the world, Mike.
true. Well, I guess I can't argue with that one, eh, Skye? No, you can. Skye cracks me up, man. She said that she had to go to Kohl's yesterday. Oh, I planned my whole day around it. Had to go to Kohl's? Had to go. Had to go. Well, she had to go. I had no choice. Oh, yeah. She told me all about this. Skye, why did you not have? On our walk and talk, Ashley got a earful about my plans for Kohl's. Your Kohl talk? Really big deal. Why did you not have a choice guy well mike um you know i became a kohl's card member um a while back due to the wonderful discounts that they offer by using your uh kohl's charge card on top of their
already uh rock bottom prices and um as a something else man every week as a kohl's card member um before she tells this story i just want new listeners to know you are about to hear a statement from the cheapest woman in the world the richest and cheapest as a cold start member they um a couple times a year send you in the mail the catalog which has a little sticker on the front send it to you every week i get it every week not with the sticker on the front yeah every every week i'll bring it in to you i do okay you bring it in to me every i swear to you
i get it every week okay well i don't get a sticker every week i get them i think they send Because they were, of course, over the loudspeaker playing. They send them something like, I don't know, like six times a year or something like every other month. I get it every week. Well, you're crazy. Guys, I just want to understand what it is. You get a catalog, like their catalog, you know. Who are you going to trust over Coupon Talk, me or Eddie? Call my wife. Please. Call the wife. Please. I get it every week. You get a catalog, and then you peel off the sticker, and it gives you, like, 15% off or 25% off or whatever. The denominations are 15, 20, and 30%.
And it's kind of like the lottery. Did I make it up? You said 25. I wouldn't make this up. You said 25. So it's 15, 20, or 30%. And it's kind of like the lottery, you know? I mean, it's like big winnings, you know? And, of course, the majority of the coupons out there are the 15 percenters. But this time, I had the rare fortune. I get 20 percent. I had the rare fortune of coming across a 30 percent coupon sent to me. Wow.
Yeah, it was a 30 percenter. Mike, I get it every week. It was a 30 percenter. When does Brad never have me? I'm going to. Call up Debra. Why am I going to call up Debra? I'm not making it up. Okay. I don't get it every week. The crazy thing is, though, Skye. Yes. is if if and i don't know because i don't pay attention to this stuff right but if eddie is right that he gets these all the time that means that you planned your whole day and went out of your way yesterday for crazy reasons i personally believe eddie is incorrect i even heard on the two hours yesterday.
Guy, I'm not incorrect. Well, one of us has to be incorrect. You believe I am. I believe you are. Whatever. No big deal. Whatever. I don't really care. All I know is... We must know. Here's why. Because what Skye did yesterday is fantastic. Her day was planned around Kohl's. Her day was planned around Kohl's. It happened because she had to get that 30%. It was crucial to get that 30% sticker. If Eddie's right, it's always out there. No, well, first of all, it's not always out there.
Even on the loudspeaker, they were saying, I think they were saying like six times. Yeah, they had this guy who'd come on and, oh, thank you for shopping Kohl's. If you become a Kohl's card member today, we offer discounts, you know, six times a year to our Kohl's card members or whatever he said. And then they do the message in Spanish. And it played over and over. I need 5%. Mike, to hit the 30% is such a rarity. I mean, this is like a once-in-a-lifetime situation. It really, really was. And Sky took full advantage of it. And the coupon's only good for a week. And yesterday was the last day of the coupon.
Well, that would make sense if they send it out once a week, that it would only be good for one week. Well, I don't know, Sean. I don't know about that. So how did you do? I disagree. How did you do? Oh, it doesn't make sense. I did really, really good, Mike. What did you get? I did really, really well. well the boo came to the boo needed a bunch of stuff as well um it was mainly clothes we did look at the memory foam mattress pads for a while but even with the 30 off and the 50 already marked down still a little pricey for me um but got some cute dresses and tops and the boo got some shorts because all the shorts have holes in the crotches and knees and um and we're good and i was very proud
of my shopping skills. I believe I saved somewhere around $90. Holy Toledo! Yeah. 30% ain't no joke, bro. Hey, listen. I give Sky a hard time about a lot of stuff. Never buy myself clothes. Let me tell you something, though. There's something, there's a few things I need to let you start running in my life. That's one of them. In terms of, like, getting the deals and all that, because I don't know anything about getting any deals. But in terms of that, I got to know when to get the...
I think we have Debra on the line, by the way. Yes. Oh. Now, we do have conflicting reports right now. Skye says the coveted 30% sticker at Kohl's is only available... How often would you say, Skye? I thought that I got it, I get the sticker peel-off thing. I was thinking every other month. It could be every month, but it's definitely not every week. Okay. Eddie is saying you get a sticker every week.
We get a Kohl's coupon every single week. The peeling sticker is what I'm talking about. We get, we get, ask Debra. Debra, are you there? I'm here. I'm a D. Okay. Hi, Debra. So, so what do we got? What do we know? And if you know anything about this, you're listening right now. 570-1053. I want to know. It has good prices if that's the deal. Debra, what do you know? We get the Kohl's catalog with the peel-off sticker on the front just about every other week. About every other week.
It's more than once a month. More than once a month. So you get about every other week. Now, here's the big question. That's not what you said, and that's not what I said. You're wrong. Wait, wait, wait. Time out. You admit that you're wrong then, too. You said every week. Hang on, guys. Hang on. Hang on. This will turn into a street brawl. Hang on. My question is. You're so brutal. Please, hang on. You're being brutal. Don't you realize we're both wrong? Guys. If Debra's right, we're both wrong. Please. Here's my question. How much? Please. How much are these stickers off?
Is it different every time? It's different all the time. I told you it could be 15, 20, or 30, depending on when you peel it off. It's like a scratcher. It probably is determined on how often you go there. We go there quite a bit, so we probably get more catalogs and get more of the coupons. But I don't think we've ever gotten the 30%. See what I'm talking about? Every other week, it's always the 15 and 20. And in addition to that, we also get the mailers with coupons off. Well, 30% is pretty whacked out. I would like a 30% one.
And where do these come? In the mail, you're saying? Yep. I like it. But also, if it's during one of their specials when they're doing it, if you go in and apply for a Kohl's card, they'll hand you one right there and you peel it off. We have a Kohl's employee on the line. Thank you very much, Debra. Thanks, babe. No problem. Bye, guys. Thank you. Let's see. P1 Katie is on the line. Katie, are you there? Yep. Katie, go ahead. Yeah, I work at Kohl's. We do this about once a month, maybe two times a month, but usually it's about once a month.
With the 30%? It varies. It depends on how much you use your Kohl's card and, like, if we send you a 30, how much you used at that time we sent you the 30. Gotcha. So will I get a 30 again? No. No. Did you spend a lot with your 30? I probably spent about $450 with my 30. Yeah, you did. Yeah, then probably, you'll probably get a 30 again. You go, girl. In all my shopping for the year. So, that means that the only way you're getting the 30 is if you're in there shopping. You're not going to be a new customer and get no 30% off.
You might. It's kind of at random, but we do like to reward people that, you know, they get the 30 and they go in and they spend that 30% and, you know. Yeah, yeah. You got to go in. That is fantastic. Thank you very much. All right, that was Katie. She's an employee. It's only six times a year. Stop it, Sean. You're going to only make it worse. It wasn't once a week, Sean. So why don't you rip on that? We've got to take a time out. If you're going to rip on someone. You're such a butt kiss, Sean. We've got to take a time out. Okay, you're up at East Poland again. I'm curious, was it?
We get it, we get it, yeah. Hate on Sean, hate on Sky. Hate on Sky, okay. Sky, I love you. Thank you, Mike. Sky, I'm happy for you. It was a great thing. That is huge. It was a great thing. Let's do this. Okay. And take a quick time out. All right. When we come back, I'm going to tell you when the new Foo Fighters album is coming out. It's a greatest hit. And I'll tell you when it's coming out. When we come back, we're also going to have shark expert Ryan Johnson on the show. Don't go anywhere.

So what's your hurry? Did you know that if you slowed down just a little, you'd get better mileage? It's true. If you drove 55 miles per hour on the highway instead of 65 miles per hour, you could go about 30 to 60 more miles on a tank of gas. It's like the story of the tortoise and the hare.
You know, slow and steady wins the race. And that also applies to city driving. When you're stopped at a traffic light and it turns green, avoid the jackrabbit start. Don't punch the gas. It's not a race. Just accelerate smoothly and gradually. And let's face it, you'll catch up to those other cars at the next light anyway. So remember, a heavy foot equals a light gas tank. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. I like all types of foods. I have no food allergies. Eddie. A little bit of a Star Wars fan. Yes. I've seen the original Star Wars probably over 200 times. Sky. I'm very conservative on a daily basis when it comes to the wardrobe. Sean. I floss a minimum of three times a day. Boston Rock. It's a transient style that I've developed. And Ashley. I can't control my laughter. I laugh at everything. On Rock 105.3. Yeah.
It's a Mikey show at 7.07. The mom of pro surfer Emery Kauanui, who was beaten to death, has filed a lawsuit against the five men accused of the crime and some of their parents. Chargers give defensive end Luis Castillo a new five-year, $43 million extension. Five years, 43 million dollars. All right.
I have my calculator out. I'm going to do some quick math. Five years, 43 mil, 8.6 mil a year. That's crazy. That is good dough. That's good money. Skrill. That's right. Welcome back to the show. Let's see. We got a lot of different directions that we could go. And we're going to have the shark expert on pretty soon, Ryan Johnson. And here's the deal with Ryan. Ryan is, it's Shark Week, first of all.
Oh, hello. On the National Geographic Channel. And he is the host of a movie on the National Geographic Channel called Sharkville. It's going to be on Friday night, 10 o'clock. And let me tell you something. Anybody that's been up close with Great Whites has my respect. that's because that's something I could never do. No way. Would you do it? It's just swimming with bow-legged women. Alright. Would you do it in like one of those cages or no way? Like not on that? Man, that is a great question. Cage goes in the water, shark?
You go inside the cage. Cage goes in the water. You go in the water. Shark's in the water. Our shark. I would do it in a cage, Sky. You would? I would. Come on. Didn't you see Richard Dreyfuss? I did. I did, but I think I would do it in the cage because I don't often hear of people being destroyed in the cage. So I think I'm alright. Well,
I'm the dude to you fair Spanish ladies. Now, I wish if it were up to me, I wish that there was a pole right in the middle of the cage so that I could hug it. I would I would sort of barnacle around. You know what I'm saying? I would make myself into a barnacle and I would barnacle around the pole and I would just hang on to it and you know, if I got too scared, use the ocean as my outhouse is what I'm saying.
If I got too scared You should be doing that anyway. If I got too scared That's well in a bigger ocean so I want a potty. Oh, stop saying that. It is. It's going green. Yuck, dude. Comic-Con preview tonight, Skye. Who are the stars that will be attending Comic-Con tonight? Well, they'll be there. They'll be there. So first, tonight's like a special preview. I don't know exactly how you get tickets, Eddie. I don't know if you know, if you have to like know somebody or sleep with somebody. I don't know how you get tickets to preview night.
I've heard both. It has to be a combination of both. That's news to me. So, but tonight at Preview Night, for those, you know, few people who got tickets to Preview Night, it includes a screening of the new TV show called Fringe, which is done by the same people who created Lost. So, I guess there's a lot of anticipation around that tonight. And then the normal convention starts tomorrow through Sunday and is totally sold out. The four-day passes are sold out and the single-day passes are all sold out. Some of the celebrities that are scheduled to attend, Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Conley, who will be talking about their upcoming film, The Day the Earth Stood Still.
Mark Wahlberg and Ludacris will be there talking about their new movie, Max Payne, based on the video game. Dakota Fanning there with her new science fiction movie, Push. Dan Aykroyd will be there talking about Ghostbusters, the video game. Dan Aykroyd's still alive? Yes, he is, Mike. There will also be appearances by some of these people, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Tori A. Amos, Neil Patrick Harris, John C. Reilly, Will Ferrell, and tons of other people. Sweep and rewind!
Come on! So that's going to be a big night. It's going to be crazy, yeah. It's going to be a very big night. So be watching for that. Hopefully I'll see Dark Knight tonight, by the way. Ooh. Looking forward to that. Oh, the Eddie line is ringing. What the heck? Hello? Oh, hey guys, it's Dr. Wayne calling in. Dr. Wayne. That's right. I am a local chiropractor in the area. I heard you do some sort of massager. Oh, yeah, Eddie, I'm glad you brought it up. I do deep tissue and Swedish massage right out of the house of my office.
And just wanted to call in and say hello to you. I heard that you guys were talking about this whole Comic-Con thing. Yeah. Well, it just so happens old Dr. Wayne's got a couple of tickets if anybody there wants to go. Oh, wow. I think Rob wants it. Oh, I would like to go. Rob would like to go. Zeth, I think, wants to go. Yeah, definitely. It sounds like there's a lot of you. Got to be fair here. Let me just put all the names in a fireman's hat. Got a feeling I'm not going in here. Fireman's? Yeah, I'm going to take all your names here, put them in a fireman's hat, and, you know, I'm a volunteer firefighter. Oh, that's right.
I forgot. I forgot. Yeah. And let me just reach in here. Oh, look at this. Zethi and Oates gets to go. Oh, I can do it. Why do you win so much? You are on a lucky trip to be pulled out of this hat, sucker. So I'll see you tonight at 8. I have work tonight. I'll be picking you up in the vet there, cowboy. He says he has work, Dr. Wayne. I guess you're going to have to pick a different name. I guess I'll just have to pay his rent. See you later.
He can do that. That was a strange thing. That is awesome. Dr. Wayne, yeah, he says he's going to pay your rent. holy moly i'm in on that that's uh not bad yeah in los angeles they're talking about banning fast food restaurants in poor areas yeah what about that what is that about sky this is really interesting and a lot of people are talking like is it really you know the government's job to protect people from like obesity and basically they say um this 32 square mile area is one of the poorest areas in the city of LA and the city council is going to be voting on saying no more
fast food restaurants in this area no more new fast food restaurants allowed they say in this area of 32 square miles there's over 400 fast food restaurants already and very few grocery stores and they believe this is um leading to you know a problem with obesity um what does that have to In poorer areas. Well, so they're in this, they're in a poor area. The 400 are in the poor area. Yeah, that the fast food chains are targeting a poor area. And you know that these people need more grocery stores, not more fast food.
Isn't that jobs though? Yeah, definitely more jobs, but grocery stores have jobs too. I'm actually going to be making a new invention of a restaurant called Salad Stone. I'm going to put it right there in the middle of the poor area. How does that work? Well, you go in there and you see all these, you get, you know, you pick, I'll take radish, carrot, and scallion. And then, you know, they take a couple of spatulas with the salad. You say, yeah, give me those salad greens and a couple of spinaches. They throw it all on a big marble plate and they mix it all up.
That sounds good. Salad stone. Coffee pending. So, you know, what people are talking about is that really the government's place to try and protect people from obesity. I don't know. Well, if they replace all these places with healthy places, would anybody have a problem with that? But they're not going to. No, yeah, they're letting them stay, but they're just saying no more. Oh, well, there's already 400. What are you going to do? I'm also going to open up Tofu King Mike that I mentioned. That should be good.
No, it doesn't say. Let's see. An autopsy of the police dog found dead in the patrol car last month. And Alpine shows that he died of heat stroke. Hello. What do we think? Crack the window, bro. Yeah. Right. Yeah, because, you know, when the story came out that this police dog had died out in front of, you know, his handler's home in the patrol car, You know, nobody really wanted to say, oh, it was probably that he was locked in there with the windows rolled up and it was like 108 degrees out. But the autopsy shows, yeah, that is what happened.
The windows were closed. He was left in there too long. It was 108 degrees out in Alpine. And so now the district attorney is trying to figure out, you know, if they should charge the officer with anything. Yes, they should, yes. You know, because if, you know, if a civilian were to kill a police dog, that's like killing an officer, right? Yeah, yeah. Um, so I, you know, it'll be interesting to see how the district attorney handles this case. By the way, if you find yourself in a, uh, position right now where you hate the price of gas, the price of gas is driving you absolutely nuts. You're full-time black Obama supporter. Yes, that's right. And full-time black woman. Yes, I am one and the same, Eddie. You're not even black. Yeah, thank you. That's a good point. Listen, boo, don't make me come through this phone. Just because you say words doesn't... Let me tell you something. Are you on meds?

in number 55. No more 99. Really? Well, welcome back to the show. It is a Mikey show. And let me tell you something. It is with a great deal of pride that we are able to bring this to you. You know that gas prices have been very terrible and they've just been going up and up and up. It's a killer. And that's why. I know it is. And that's why I will say, ladies and gentlemen, to prepare yourselves for the gas monkey. Gas monkey, that monkey monkey.
Whoa. Gas monkey monkey. Yeah. Monkey monkey. Yeah. Yes. What up? Fill it up, monkey. That's right. Hey, hey, hey. Now, check it out. Y'all. Y'all. Oh, yeah. In a little under two weeks, on August the 4th, we are going to send out the gas monkey. What? That's right.
It will be Boston Rob in a monkey outfit. Oh, I'd be honored. I'd be honored to my... Thank you. And here is the deal. Okay. Here is the deal. You must, in order for Boston Rob in a monkey suit to approach you, in order for you to be approached by the gas monkey, you must have the new P1 sticker on your car. Now, let me tell you, if you don't have the new P1 sticker, first of all, I don't want to know you, but if you don't, there's an easy way for me to want to know you. You just go get one.
And you can get them at a couple of places. First of all, you can get them at the radio station. They're available at 9660 Granite Ridge Drive. You just walk into our lobby, and we've got the brand new Mikey Show P1 sticker. It's a killer sticker, man. In fact, I've been seeing a lot more of them around town. Oh, yeah. But you can also get the sticker at cricket locations. Yeah. Isn't that right, Eddie? We're putting them back in the cricket location. I believe so, yes. That's cool. I'll double check. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So hang on a second. I have to adjust my Velcro. Whoa. That's really weird. It's starting to get too close to my breast, and it's itching me. It's itching me. I didn't want to know that, though. It sounds hot. I just want to give you all the details, you know? Okay, but I didn't want to know that. So here's the deal. Go get that new Mikey Show P1 sticker and put it on your car. And if the gas monkey is out driving... Well, let's hear that one more time. Zeth, give us the gas monkey theme one more time. It's so good. Yes.
That's what I'm talking about. So, what we will do is we'll send the gas monkey out. Rob, here's the monkey outfit. And if he sees a P1 sticker on your car, he may pull you over. Now, you know it's the gas monkey only if they're driving in the Rock 105.3 van. So if it's some dude trying to pull you over because you have a sticker or he's in a monkey suit. The only time you ever pull over is if you see the Rock 105.3 van and a monkey suit.
That's the only time you ever pull over. Okay, good to know. Well, yeah, don't even pull over. Don't even pull over if you see the Rock 105.3 van trying to pull you out. You've got to see both. It needs to be the Rock 105.3 van with a guy in a monkey suit sitting in it. Yeah, we don't want no Steve Foley incident going down. Yeah, exactly. That is exactly it. Both got to be together. If you see Rob in a monkey suit just driving around, not going to work. Because he'll do that. What's wrong with that? That's true.
Now, this is how you're going to actually get gas money. Okay. Boston Rob is going to have on him gas cards. And the gas card denominations are going to be between $25 and $250. Wow. That sounds nice. I want one of those. So if you got a Mikey Show P1 sticker on your car, you could get pulled over. Buy the gas monkey, and he will have on him gas cards between $25 and $250. Now, how will you get to select said gas card?
Well, you'll have to pull from the gas monkey's bunch of bananas. What are you talking about? This is getting awesome. It's like, Justin, I thought it couldn't get any better. Rob will see you and your P1 sticker, and he will do his best in the Rock 105.3 van to get you to pull over. You don't have to pull over. I mean, if you don't want to, if you don't want a gas card, you don't have to, but hopefully you pull over. You're commie. That's right. You're some kind of pinko. But hopefully you pull over.
Pull over. and the gas monkey will jump out of the rock 1053 van with a bunch of bananas he will walk up to your car and you'll pick a banana and the banana will have tape to it a gas card oh i love it you'll get to see what did you win did you win one that's worth 25 bucks or 250 bucks or somewhere in between plus hey free banana yeah free banana That is awesome. Yeah, Sean, we're not forcing you to purchase the banana.
We're just giving you freely. You don't have to pay for it. Great points, guy. Just saying. That really affected Sean deeply in his soul. Just saying. Again, the gas monkey begins on August the 4th. That's what it's talking about. Yeah. That monkey monkey. Yeah, that monkey monkey. Gas monkey monkey. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, monkey. Oh. Yeah. That's going to get in my house. I'm going to be singing that for the rest of the day. Of course I am. August the 4th, our very own gas monkey begins giving out gasoline here in the county of San Diego.
Nice. In the Rock 105.3 van with a bunch of bananas. It's going to be great. That is amazing. Should we just take phone calls? 570-1053. Oh, I cannot wait. I'm looking at this call right now, and this actually looks interesting. uh let's see p1 annie are you there hi hi how are you i'm okay i'm i'm a little upset i was i don't know why but i just thought i would call you guys and get your opinion on whether or not i should be so upset right now tell this story well i uh apparently i don't think that i can have children
and my husband and I have been trying for about three years ever since we got married and so I was hoping that I could get a surrogate to have my baby for me and that I was really concerned like I really wanted it to be somebody that was like close to the family or you know and then I started thinking about it and talking about it with my husband and we decided that we only really want my sister Shelly to help.
Right? And she was like really into it. Why is that perfect Skye? Why is that perfect? Well because it's a family member you know. I mean normally I don't know their situation but normally you can trust your sister and you know you're involved in your sister's life and with a surrogate you don't really know exactly what's going on. Has anybody seen Juno? Right you hope it's on the best movie ever. Yeah it is a good movie. You hope it's on the up and up and they're taking their vitamins and they're not smoking cigarettes and whatever but you know circuits lots of times are strangers and so you don't really know what's up
okay so go ahead yeah I mean and I could totally trust Shelly she's my best friend in the world so I thought like this is great and then just today she tells me she doesn't want to do it she's 22 and she's too young I think that was her excuse. Like, she doesn't want to, like, stretch out her body. And, you know, I don't know. I understand that. Selfish.
I'm just kind of pissed off at her because for the last six weeks we've been planning that this was how it was going to be. So she committed and then backed out? Yeah, this morning. Oh, that's crap. Oh, oh, oh. Okay, so she had already said that she was going to do it and now she's backing out. uh-huh guys she's 22 like this isn't the most mature person on the earth yeah and and and does she not have the right to say no she doesn't want to do that it's her body well yeah it's her body but i feel like any sister should do this for their like i feel i feel if you're a sister yeah
like i feel if you're a sister you are obligated to do this for your brother or for your sister you're obligated to do that you're obligated yeah I didn't feel like she was obligated she told me she would for six weeks I've been planning my life and being so excited and she's my sister and then she calls me up and has me up for breakfast this morning and tells me that she can't do it and you know it's like she's kind of immature you're P1 Annie
you're P1 Annie right and your sister you're okay you're annie and your sister's name is shelly yeah okay listen to this sky this is the definition of obligated okay this is from the dictionary all right let's hear it bound or compelled legally or morally morally it says bound or compelled legally or morally So, Sky is saying. So, definition fits the situation. No, no, no. It's perfect.
Sky is saying. It is perfect. Hold on. Yeah. Morally obligated. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's all good. That's exactly what I meant, Mike. She's morally obligated. Well, I see what Sky is saying. Like, if her sister is her best friend and she doesn't really have anything else going on, her only excuse is that she's too young and she's 22. Wait, wait, wait. Hang on. Hang on. I take umbrage with the word her only excuse. It's not an excuse. It's her reason. it's her body it's her life but i'm saying that as her sister as her sister like that's kind of crappy ashley it's totally crappy remember way back when you were 22 yeah could you imagine you
having a baby well my sister would never have asked me okay but put yourself in this girl but i'm sure if annie's sister was a party girl ashley wouldn't have done it but because ashley was a party girl but at the same time i don't know if shelly's a party girl i think she wouldn't be willing to change her lifestyle for her sister Ashley wouldn't be willing to do that and this girl's not willing but Mike but okay if I wasn't willing to do it then guess what I wouldn't have committed to doing it that now that is the thing that I agree with you like the thing that I think is a bummer is that your sister said she would do this for you and now it's a few weeks later
and she has said no that's got to be devastating to you so i agree that that is that was a um is poor judgment on her part to ever agree to it in the first place place because now it's hurting you however i have to disagree with sky i do not believe that it is his sister's obligation Obligate. I mean, obligated. Oh, dude, if I had a sister and I was in that situation, like I, I would feel like I wouldn't even actually need to ask her. Like I would already know the answer because like and if I and if any if my brother needed me to do that or if I had a sister who needed me to do that in a heartbeat.
And and honestly, Mike, I know. But you're acting like it's such a small thing. That's like the biggest thing. It's nine months of, like, no drinking and, you know, drugging and taking care of yourself. Like, that's horrible. And that's all that has to do with pregnancy. Like, you don't, you're not uncomfortable all the time. So? Your body doesn't completely change. So? Not only that, but isn't it, isn't it a person's right to say, hey, listen, I understand that you want to have a child, and I even feel for you in that regard, but my body's my body. and I'm not going to have a child until I'm married
and I have a child with my husband. And not only that, I'm kind of in a place in my life right now where that doesn't really fit into my life. Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm a little bit selfish right now. I'm 22. I like to go out and hang out with my friends. Totally selfish. Oh, boy. You're completely selfish right now. It's what you are. It's what you are. It's what you are. The thing is, go ahead, Ash. Sorry, Mike. I was just going to say, because I know how you were saying how, like, I would never voluntarily do that when I was 22, and you're pretty much right. But at the same time, my sister, had she asked me when I was 22 if I would be her surrogate
mother if we were in that situation, and I had told her no, I know for a fact my sister would be pissed. She would. Your sister's very immature. Your sister's very immature, though. And she told me, like, 10 years ago, Mike, she was like, you know, I just want to let you know Sarah or Ashley I should let you know Ashley that if you ever can't have a baby I will be your surrogate mother and I will have your your child and that has stuck with me for like you know 10 years so I almost feel like that guilt of like if she ever did ask me I would have no choice but to say yes because she said she would do it well how about today would you do it for her today and that's the thing that I I think I would like I know that sounds crazy but
But today, where I am in my life today, if my sister asked me to do that and said, listen, I will pay for everything. I will go to you with you to every appointment. I will take care of it all. I just will you please carry my child because I can't. I think I would do it. If you're doing it out of guilt, you're doing it for the wrong reason. But no, no, no. But no, no, no. I said at 22, I would feel guilty. Now, I genuinely, my sister and I have a better relationship. What you said was. I genuinely think I would. You said that many years ago, she said to you that she would be willing to be a surrogate for you if it ever came down to it. And then you said that just for that reason, that was your words, not mine.
You said, and for that reason, I think I would have so much guilt that I would have to do it for her. Right. And that guilt, that guilt is, you're putting that guilt on you. Sure, but can't I partially say that it's guilt, but partially say that the place I am in my life right now, I love my sister, and you know what? I'd sack it up and do it for her, and part of me would take that responsibility. I think that's really cool, but I don't believe that, as Sky does, that you are morally obligated to do that. That is strong wording. Yeah, I believe that.
It's strong wording, but I see her point. So if your sibling didn't do that for you, now if somebody is obligated, meaning they are morally tied to it, Sky, what would be the penalty? for not coming through with that obligation. It would change our whole relationship. And you would view her as a selfish person. Yeah. Oh, let's take some phone calls. 570-1053.
This is a spicy meatball. That's crazy. It's common sense. I don't think it's a spicy meatball. 35253 I do. Is our text. And same goes for best friends. What? Okay. That is outrageous. You're an outrage. No way, Jose. I suspect you may have a screw loose. I do not. I have a big heart, Mike. P1 Bike Rider. Bike Rider, are you there?
Uh-oh. I think we lost him. I think we lost P1 Bike Rider. No. Uh, let's see. P1 Tim, are you there? P1 Tim, go ahead. Yeah, I just wanted to say that it's really difficult for Skye and Ashley to key in on it because they've never been pregnant before. My wife is pregnant with my second child, and she was sick the entire nine months of her first pregnancy, and she's been sick the entire time. This time, really sick, throwing up all the time.
Is that really what it's about, though, Tim? Is it about, hey, they can't make that call? Do you believe that the reason that Skye is wrong in saying that it's morally an obligation is just because she doesn't realize that the girl will get sick? Because I don't think that's what it's about. I'd be willing to be sick for nine months straight. She doesn't know what it's like to even be pregnant, what it does to your body. I understand. She does. Listen, anybody, I think a lot of people get that you may get sick when you're pregnant. Yeah, I mean, I've had plenty of friends who've had babies, and I've, you know, been there every step of the way with them.
So I get it. It's not pleasant, and there's a whole bunch of horrible side effects, and your body completely changes. But for somebody I love, to be able to give them the gift of life, I will sacrifice my body at nine months so they can have a lifetime of love with a child. Here's the word that you keep saying that I think is the most important. What? i i i i yeah and i think that's and that's fantastic it's fantastic and i think everyone should be as awesome as i would but you can't put your feelings on how are you how can you put your stuff onto somebody else's well i do believe that women have the right to choose you know when it
comes to their body but um you know i i have certain standards that i believe when you love somebody you live up to and you know those that's my line eddie what do you think i'm in awe of her once again oh thank you thank you been a good morning thank you not for uh what you think oh i am very yes thank you i think it's it's impossible to put your wishes and uh beliefs onto somebody else like what you what you expect your expectations rationalize that part sky what
he just said he just said he thinks it's wrong for you to put your feelings on somebody else so what's your answer to that part that they are my feelings and i'm entitled to them and just like i think if you push an old lady down you're a jerk i feel if you don't if you won't be a surrogate for your sibling you're a jerk you know isn't pushing an old lady down a uh isn't pushing an old lady down something that we all recognize is right and wrong not everybody because somebody's doing the pushing mike yeah but that person is morally that person's morally corrupt according to you oh well according to society right that's a malicious act to push an old lady isn't that a
societal thing. Well, in my belief system, this is, you know, it's all the same. Like, this is my belief system. And yeah, I can't push it on anybody, but I can just tell you how I feel, and this is how I feel. She feels you gotta do it. She's a strong woman. If you don't, you're being selfish. That may be true, but it's not that you do it. 570-1053. Text us, 35253P1BigGun. Are you there?
Yeah, hey, what's going on, Mikey? Not too much, dude. Go ahead. Hey, man, like I just told B-Rob, what I don't think anybody's looking at at the same time is this is a 22-year-old girl, and she's still young. She's still dating. You know, with Sky, she's married. Her husband accepts her for who she is, and this 22-year-old girl, I mean, who knows what having a baby's going to do to her body and how men are going to react to that when she's so young and still dating thank you for the call sky question yeah that's an interesting point and a bummer but question yes mike now what if a sibling puts on you their sort of morality in
other words okay they ask you the same thing but the way that they want this to happen is they want you to make love to their husband. Mike, that makes no sense. I'll tell you why it does. The reason that I chose that specific example is because in my world, that's morally corrupt. And you're saying, yeah, yeah, yeah, but we're talking about my world, Mike. Okay, what if your sister in her world, that was passable, that worked?
But in your world, it didn't. You're like, I'm not going to make love to your husband. That's what I said about the old lady getting knocked down, but you said, oh, no, no, no, no. Some people do that, and I'm saying to you, oh, yeah, some people sleep with their brothers. I guess swingers do that. Some people do. Yeah, some people do, Skye. You shut your mouth, dude. I didn't say anything. Oh, wait a second. I didn't say anything. Get my mom into this. I didn't get anybody's mother into this. Sean's mother had him
when she was very, very young. Talk about it. That's why she's so hot. Sorry. So my answer to that, Mike, would be, you know what, I'd be more than happy to carry this child for you, but it would make me feel uncomfortable to make love to your husband. I think that would be... They have technology. There's technology to make this happen without me having to make love to your husband, and I think the end... But that's the way that we want it. But that's the way we want it. Why do you want it that way?
Because we don't want it to be so sterile and done in a laboratory. We want this baby to be made from lovemaking. Oh, natural. What? We want it to be from making love. Yeah, this is a ridiculous analogy. Why? I don't get this analogy at all. It's their morality. It's nobody's morality, Maya. I don't think it's anybody's morality to push down an old lady. But you know that there's some people that swing, sleep with their brother's sister. Yeah, but that has nothing to do with creating babies. That has to do with sexy time.
It has everything to do with it. In fact, when they make love, the baby will come from it. No, it won't, hopefully. Well, you know what I'm saying? When they're swinging. Oh, jeez. What are we talking about? I don't know. This is not really I've talked about. I'm trying to give a weird example of, hey, this is what... It's okay with them. 570-1053. Our text number, 35253. What do you think? Sky says if a sister won't have a sister's kid and carry it as a surrogate, it's messed up.
Let the romance begin. What we want to know, and boom goes the dynamite, what we want to know, and boom goes the dynamite, Do you agree? Is that morally wrong? Oh, man. 570-1053 is the number. Our text number is 35253. And we will be back after this. Rescue me. Should I go down? This is the Mikey Show.

Karate Kid, bro. That's right. A little banana, bro. Don't get along. Welcome back. It's 8.04. It's been announced that a 24-year-old San Diego guy is the first person this year in the county to be diagnosed with the West Nile virus. Guys, there was another brawl at the Detroit Palace, this time involving two WNBA teams. Oh, come on. Come on. Oh, yeah. i'm not kidding uh la's lisa leslie was very upset when we were boxing out um i didn't see how candace and um planette got tangled up but the last when i look back i saw candace was on the
floor and she was on top of her and my thought was just to run over and try to you know get her off of her or help candace up or you know help candace i don't know how i feel about the name I'm going to have to take some time with that. Chick fight. Oh, wow. Welcome back. The topic. The topic is a hot one. We got some differing opinions here. I'm shocked. I'm shocked.
I can't believe everybody's so crazy. I can't take it today. This chick called in, she says, I'm pregnant, I asked my sister who's 22 years old if she would be, I would like to be pregnant, I can't get pregnant, I asked my 22 year old sister if she'd be a surrogate. She said yes, a few weeks go by, she changed her mind, and I think she's a jerk. Skye says, but yeah, she is, I agree with you, she's a terrible person. Skye believes that it is a sister's obligation. Oh, what?
To do this. She didn't say that. She did too, Eddie. That word. Yes. She said obligation. It's your obligation to do it. No way, Jose. Regardless of your own personal feelings about being pregnant. Thank you, Mike. Regardless of where you are in your life and if you're not in a place where you want to be pregnant right now, sorry. Suck it up and get pregnant for me. I mean, I think the only excuses are like if you're not healthy. You know what I mean? Like if, unfortunately, maybe you have cancer or you're an alcoholic or lupus.
But if you're healthy. Lupus. If you're healthy, you've got to do it. Oh, by the way, Skye. Yes. I would guess that if the person is a smoker, you would just expect them quit smoking, clean yourself out for a while. Duh. Yeah. Right? Of course. Of course. And so, you know. What if they smoked a little something else? They would need to clean that up as well, Shawnee. Got to clean it all up. Or if you have friends that smoke and drink, you can't hang around them anymore. Well, you can hang around them, just not the smoking part. You'd have to ask your friends to go outside, or you'd have to excuse yourself. A lot of changes.
But here's the deal, though, Eddie. I'm sure that if Skye had a sister. I do have my brother. Well, I'm sure that if Skye had a sister, though, and Skye were in this situation, And she asked her sister to do this, and her sister agreed, I'm sure, Eddie, that that would be the absolute end of where Skye would want any control over it. Skye wouldn't want to have any input in terms of how this sister ate. That's why I was saying it would be better for her to be a sibling because you can have control. You can have control.
You can. So you're saying diet, Mike? Well, duh. If Skye witnessed her eating a cheeseburger, she wouldn't say? Listen, she would probably think to herself, boy, I wish she wouldn't have that cheeseburger. But that would be as far as it goes. Your sarcasm is so hilarious. My side is aching. That would be as far as it goes. Because it is so hilarious. Skye, would you have that sister? Dude, you know me. Like, have you just met me? I'm a control freak. Now, this one I don't know, though. I actually do not know the answer to this one. Okay, let's see.
Would you suggest to your sister that your sister move in with you? So that you could keep tabs, close watch, be in even more control. Lock her up. I think it depends. Turn her to the bedpost. Shut up. Walk her. I think it really depends on where my sister is in her life. If she's a married woman with a home and whatever. Not necessary if she's married and she's got a home and all that.
Not necessary. But if she's like Ashley, sorry, Patel, you know, give notice where you live. No, I would give her the option. I would give her the option. I wouldn't force her. I'd give her the option. What if, Skye, wait a second. So what if she said, I pass. No, thank you. Okay. You would say, okay, that'd be the end of it. Yeah. Would you strongly suggest? Or would you strongly suggest or would you just go, hey, it's up to you if you want to move in, you can, but totally up to you? Well, you know, again, it all goes to the circumstances.
If she's having a healthy pregnancy and everything's great, you know, it's not really necessary. But she's getting sick all the time and maybe she doesn't want to work anymore. Would you suggest it with a rag and some ether? Yes, would you suggest it that way? Would you suggest in a way where you put the rag over her mouth and go... Let me just ask you, okay? Would you like to move in with us? Just let it take effect. Let it take effect. It'll all be... I put a rag with cancer over the woman's mouth who's carrying my baby. Not yet.
She's not carrying it yet. Yes, I will. Yes, I will. Not carrying it yet. Let's take some calls. Sure. She hasn't had sex with your husband yet. That's right. No one is having sex with anybody. That's for sure. What? Let's see. P1 Joe, are you there? P1 Joe? Yes, hi, how's it going? Good, man, go ahead. I love your show, man. Thank you, brother. Go ahead, Joe, you're on the air. You know, I kind of want to talk to this guy because the whole moral obligation and compelled by some moral, I don't know what she wants to call it, to have to do something like that. It's crazy.
I mean, not that I wouldn't do it. Well, I don't want to just hear that. I want to know why. Why do you think it's crazy? Because, I mean, the girl, she's 22 years old. You know, she probably felt like she wanted to do it for her sister, and she said she would because she felt guilty about it. And then she kind of came to her sister and thought about what it would take, and she goes, you know what? This is not for me. I can't do this. You know, my wife was going to do that for my brother. And we were, you know, we talked about it, went through the whole thing, and some things kind of fell through where it didn't quite work out. So I ended up not doing it, you know, but I mean, I'm not saying that I wouldn't do it in my situation, but there is no way that I can say for everybody in general, everybody
has an absolute moral obligation to do it no matter what. That's, that's an eye. Can I throw something else out there? What? What if this 22 year old girl has a boyfriend? Oh, wow. It doesn't matter. Wow. I mean, he's he, so now he's got to have a pregnant girlfriend? Well, I think if he really loves her, it shouldn't matter to me. Oh, no. Now you're deciding for him how he needs to think. Please, lady. It's like, to me, it's on the same level. Like, if you have a parent that's, like, really sick and needs to move in with you or you need to move to be closer to them, to me, that's an obligation.
Skye, that's an... Well, not only that, but if you do that with your parents, if you do that with your parents, though, Skye, if you do that with your parents, usually it's because your parents can't help them. Yeah, this woman can't have a baby. Okay, but there's other options. What if there's, you know what I mean? What's the other option? What's the other? Well, the other option is that you go to a surrogate. A hired surrogate. Well, yeah, there's... A professional. But that's a stranger. Well, yeah, but they're hired to be professional.
And I think that's expensive. It's very expensive. Isn't it? Yeah. Well, maybe it is, but that's not the sister's fault. That's not the sister's fault. Oh, no, not at all. The sister's got a perfectly good womb that she's not using. Wait a second, though. It's hers. I think she is using it. This email says, how dare Sky say this? This is a 22-year-old female. Sky is saying Shelly isn't allowed to say no. Shelly's the 22-year-old. I'm not saying that. She's allowed to say whatever she wants to say.
But you'll hate her. Yes, but I will hate her guts. But you'll hate her guts. This email says, it isn't just nine months. It's a lifelong change mentally and physically. Now, Skye, you do know when a woman becomes pregnant, it does jack her up, man. I mean, mentally, you know, I mean, all kinds of stuff goes on. I mean, their body and her body may change and her body may. Here's it. OK, so here's a girl in her prime at 22 and she's going to be changing or altering her body. What if her body doesn't go back to the shape it was in?
She's given her sister the gift of life. I think she can deal with having an extra role or two. Well, she better. Yeah. She better, right? She's giving her sister the gift of life. This one says, Skye, tell me what you think of this one. This text message says, what if I'm in school? What if I'm in college? I can't believe no one supports me. I partially support you. She partially supports me. But I want to know what you think of that, Skye. What if this person is texting and saying, what if I'm in school? What if I'm in college? then you time it, you know, that the birth won't happen until... Why are you rearranging your college?
No, you time it so birth won't happen until summer vacation. Oh, I see what you're saying. Okay, all right. I mean, if you're a surrogate, you know when you're conceiving, you know, so you just time it out. Yeah, I mean, if you don't, you're just being ridiculous about it. Just time it out so that your school and everything doesn't conflict. Right. I get you. Next text message says, Skye, Skye says she has a brother. So does her sister-in-law have the same obligation? Great question.
Um, I don't believe, like, that's hard to answer. Oh, man, that is a good question. That is a far out question. I think that, gosh, I don't know what wording to use. It's not the same obligation because she's not actually blood, but I would be surprised and a little disappointed if she wouldn't do it. But see now, this is where I think there's a fine line to be drawn. Whether even it's your sister or your sister-in-law, I think that the relationship with that person means everything. That is a good point.
If it's your sister and you haven't talked to her in 10 years. And they hate each other, yeah. You know, wait a second. That brings me to this next text. Right. Listen to the point. This is a pretty good. This is this text is worded pretty good. All right. This one says. Sky, as a sister, aren't you morally obligated to respect your sister's decision? Oh, my. Oh, man. I just fell over. I sprained my back. Are you OK?
I am not. I am not morally obligated to respect my sister's disease. No, I mean, you can't. Hey, listen, Mike. It's my way or the highway. All right. You can't force somebody to carry your baby. You know, you can be upset and disappointed and upset about it, but you can't force someone to do it. So, of course, you're respecting it. You would, they would feel your wrath. Yeah, there would be a lot of upsetness. There would be a lot of upsetness. Would you continue to have a relationship with the sister? I'd have a relationship, but it would be damaged.
After a period of two years. It would be damaged. But I'd like to say Ashley has a good point. What does that look like, though, Skye? What does that mean? It would be damaged. What does that look like? Well, kind of back going to Ashley's point, it depends what the initial relationship looked like. But if the initial relationship looked like we were best friends, we hang out a couple times a week, we talk on the phone, yeah, all of that would change. We'd probably only be seeing each other at family functions and on holidays, and it would probably be a little cold. And then maybe over time, you know. Just because.
Okay, Skye, Skye, Skye, Skye. Yeah. I'll be sister. I'm calling you. Sexy time. I'm calling you. I'm calling you. C-P-R. I'm calling you. That's weird. I'm calling you. Didn't apply that, Ashley. Hi, Skye. Hi, Sally. i just i was i was calling you because i'm i really i was calling you because um ever since i gave you my decision we haven't talked i know you're upset and i just wanted to tell you that i really miss you and i'm sorry that i you know made the decision that i did but i miss you and i don't want us to not be friends anymore yeah well i mean to be honest i miss you too but i
am so hurt by what happened that i i really i need time i i need time to get through this because you know how important it is to me to have children and you were the one who i really thought could help me and would be willing to help me i'd be willing to do that for you and so basically you broke my heart and it's going to take me time to for us to repair this well i'm sorry that i broke your heart but i i can't um you know sacrifice my own or no that's the wrong wording i can't use that word man no way i've already ruined it i'm talking myself sorry sorry sky i'm talking to myself
um what i meant to say sister sky yes was that i'm not at a place where I can compromise my own body. Ask her why. Yeah, why? Why? Like, what do you got going on? Are you got a modeling shoot coming up in Milan? Oh, now, Skye, that's not nice. You're being sarcastic with me. You should be sarcastic with me. You know that's how I roll.
You're being sarcastic with me. But I'm just saying, like, why? Like, what do you got going on? Why can't I? Well, because I'll tell you, I'll tell you, because I'm only going to be 22 years old and in this kind of shape once in my life. And I'm going out with my friends. You can get back into great shape after having the baby. Yeah, have you seen all the Hollywood, they bounce? Who is that, Skye? Who's that girl talking about? Oh, that's my new best friend, Ashley. You see Gwen Stefani? She's over. She looks great. She's over. Well, she sounds rude. We got right back from the baby.
Gwen Stefani's her idol. All right, listen, we got to take a time out. I don't know anything else you want to talk about. She's very passionate. We got to take a time out. Let's hear this song. Sky. There's not one woman out there who agrees with me. This is nuts. Come on, if you agree with Sky, if you agree with Sky, call in. I agree with Sky to a certain extent. I fully agree with Sky. I really, really do. Even though Ashley would have never done that. To a certain extent, I f*** with Sky. I do. Thank you. To a certain extent, I fully agree with you guys. At 22, I don't think, you know, Amy Winehouse would want me to be her surrogate mother.
Like, nobody would want me to, like, have a baby when I was 22. I was a wreck, you know. Well said. Whole different factors in my life. But couldn't you, if you really cared, though, you'd cut all that out. But, dude, I didn't care about anybody or anything when I was 22. Oh, I know, but if you really cared, you would stop all of it. Well, then I didn't, and Sky and I would not be talking. Yeah, that's a fact. You're right. 570-1053 is our phone number, our text number, 35253. Sean is so happy right now. Nice song.
Sean is so... You get so upset. You get so upset. We got to take a quick time out. Oh, you can't, Sean. He's got it. I have to talk, Sean. I know you want to enjoy the song and everything, but... We've got to, you know, talk here. So we'll take a quick time. That's better. And then when we come back, we'll probably wrap this thing up, okay? So don't go away. It's the Mikey Show. Colts coach Tony Dungy says Peyton Manning could be ready for the preseason after knee surgery last week.
Skye, you were waiting for somebody that agrees with you, and we got one. Thank you. P1 Penguin. Yay! Penguin! Of course. Penguin gets it. P1 Penguin. Good morning. How are you? I am disturbed by this. I just, I don't know. My family and I were all so very close, and I just couldn't imagine if there was something I could do for any of them that was within my means. I mean, it's just your body. I mean, you can get back into shape. If you were young, you can wait a couple of years.
Like, I just couldn't see it just saying no. But how does that make a person bad if you do? Because people are supposed to go to their family for certain things. Like, that's just something that if I needed it, I would go to my family. I wouldn't want a stranger. That's personal. That's like a, that's family. That's why. Well, you're saying here you wouldn't want, you wouldn't want, you wouldn't want. I understand. But that doesn't obligate the sibling. And that's what Sky says. Sky's saying, nope, it does. And if you don't, then we're going to have some issues here.
So basically that person is saying, I will not do anything for my family. See, I come from the school of I will do anything for my family. You just said the word anything. And they're not doing anything. They're not doing that. It's a selfish act. Let's just put it like that. You're being selfish. Well, that brings us to our next text message. Ashley says, that is just a selfish act. So this, it's actually an email, says, Mikey, ask Skye to please read this definition.
Selfish. lacking consideration for others concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure. Now, with that being said, wouldn't Skye be just as selfish for getting upset that her sister won't carry her baby as the sister is for not being the surrogate? I see what you're saying. Anyone who pushes their feelings on others is, in fact, by definition, selfish. So in Skye's world, is she allowed to be selfish, but others aren't? Well, I think it's all on...
Did you hear the snap? Yeah, I definitely heard the snap multiple times. Thank you, Eddie. Two wrongs make a right. Yeah, I mean, I believe it's selfish on both sides, but I believe the motivation for the selfishness is different. One is because, oh, I don't want to inconvenience myself. Oh, I don't want my body to get all funky. I don't want to stop party. And the other one, selfishness, is I want to love a child. I want a child to come into this world. And so to me, those are two. The other person's selfishness is like, I don't want to drop 20 G's or whatever on a person I don't know. I just want to make sure I understand this correct.
It's like a scale. You are now judiciating wrongness. Like, we're both wrong, but I'm going to judge which one of us is wrong. Well, why is Sky wrong? I don't understand why Sky is wrong at all. Well, because it's selfish to want to force that on someone. But that's what our society does, Mike. Like, if you, you know, if you snatch somebody's purse, you go to jail for X amount of times. If you murder someone, you go, you know, I mean, it's a scale. That's how we, you know, operate. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure.
That is the definition of selfish. I agree with you. Sky's saying, yes, I am being selfish, but my selfishness is not as bad as their selfishness. Mine's right, and theirs is wrong. Yeah, their selfishness comes out of vanity. Mine comes out of wanting to love. Well, then that makes your selfishness right. No, it does not. Oh, well, then we've determined that it's wrong. Yeah, there's both wrong, but there's a scale of wrongness. Oh, well, we've determined, though, that it's wrong, and we can't have that. We can't have something be wrong.
It's got to be right. We've got to turn in and make it right. Right? Who said that? So then we keep it being wrong. We know it's right. Oh, no. I don't know. I'm asking. Oh, no. Here we go. Why did I just get busted? Mike, we get the fact that you disagree with me. Why did I get busted? Why did I just get busted? Okay, bro. I'm the worst for loving my family and doing anything for me. Okay. I get it. Is that where we go? I get it. Is that where we go? We're having a conversation. Is that where we go? That's where we went. Wow.
How can you see in the room with your halo so big? It's true. They had to widen the doors. Carrie felt obligated when her sister asked, and so she's calling, I believe, in support of Skye. P1, Carrie. Hi. How are you? I don't really necessarily agree with Skye. I'm not here to bash her, but I actually went through the same. I actually was asked by my sister a couple of years ago to be a surrogate, and there's a lot more involved. I never felt obligated. I certainly felt compelled to do this, but it was a lot, lot more involved than what you could ever imagine.
I mean, it involved my spouse and my two older kids. Wow. Can you imagine? Yeah, it's tough. That's what makes her a great sister. Were you done having kids? um we were we had our two oldest children um i had a 13 or 12 year old at the time and an eight year old and do you regret it now i i wouldn't say i would i regret it i would not change anything for the world but i would have to say it was definitely a i love my sister she's my best friend and we we talk every day and i'm involved and we ended up having uh two beautiful uh twins out of it. Did you get one?
Did you get first pick? That's not how it works. I thought you'd get first pick. I like the one with the orange stripe. Right, right, right, right, right. Thank you very much. We said thank you. You're a great sister. You're a great sister and your selfishness is less. Thank you very much. That was an interesting topic. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. Something else. I say we do a little bit of this. Now, the Mikey Show presents
the search for the truth behind the words, the logic behind the lyrics. It's time to play Lyrical Gangsta. Awesome. Lyrical Gangsta is a game that we play that is for people that know the lyrics to songs. Don't even call if you're not good dealing with lyrics. Yeah, if you're reaching for the phone right now and you're not positive you know lyrics, what's the matter with you? Yeah, man. Don't even go there. If you're the type that listens to songs, just likes the beat, likes the way it sounds, but you don't really know what they're talking about, don't call. No.
But if you're the type of person where, oh, man, what they're saying is what it's all about. Yeah, Mike. And you call us, 570-1053. Let's play a little lyrical gangsta. I don't know that this gentleman has ever played lyrical gangsta before. This will be a first, I think. Ladies and gentlemen, widely considered the greatest P1 of all time. P1, Space Boy. Wow. 28 but you're 27 right now and I honestly have considered researching and studying the age 27. I really think there's something to 27, that particular age. You know why? I have no idea, bro. Honestly, Sky, I've never given you my whole... How would you start to research the age 27? Where would you start? I already did. Continue. I already did. I already did. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What'd you find, Mike? What'd you find? What's going on there? A lot of famous rock stars have died at the age of 27.
Really? There's like a whole thing. And I remember when I was 27, I was a whacked out wacky. Yeah. And so, like, there's, I think there's something to the age, 27. But you're going to be 28 pretty soon. Yeah. So don't worry about it, bro. You're going to be fine. You'll make it, dude. You'll make it. And this last week is going to be really tough. That's right. Good luck. So hold on loosely and don't let go. And what did you say you'd do for a living, Jimmy? I'm an owner-operated truck driver.
Spending $3,700 a month on fuel. It's awesome. Dude, no way. It's a gas monkey. Dude, no way. Yeah, you need that gas monkey, bro. Oh, for goodness sake. All right, here is your categories. Potpourri, Grunge Rock, and Bon Jovi. Which one do you want? I saw Jeff the Rob. I'd go with Potpourri. You got it. Let's do it. Nice. Your potpourri question is in the song Dancing Queen by ABBA. She says you can dance, you can jive, having the what? Son of a...
Having the time of your life. Are you kidding me? I'm roller skating. Come on. Come on. Couple skate bags. Shoot the duck. Oh, yeah. Yeah. ladies and gentlemen p1 mike is on the line mike how are you i'm doing good how you doing i'm good man how old are you me i'm 32 and what part of town do you live in that was a tough question i

This song never gets old, Mike. Ever. It's fantastic. Ever. Awesome. Oh, very well done. Now, the only thing I don't know how to do here, I'm able to answer all the lines myself. I don't know how to put these on hold. Why don't you go ahead and put that on hold, Zeth, for me? Yeah, I got it. We got that guy on hold.
And what do you think, you guys? Should we do one more? For sure. Let's do one more. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I love it. Ladies and gentlemen, P1 Bathhouse is on the line. Bathhouse, how are you? Great. Bathhouse. Come in, Bathhouse. Ha-ha. Oh, there he was. Oh, man. You snooze, you lose. Sorry, buddy. We go to P1 Taylor. Taylor, are you with us? Yes, sir.
Nice to have you, bro. Nice to have you. Thank you for having me. What do you do for a living? I'm a Marine out of Camp Pendleton. Nice, dude. Where are you originally from? What's that? Where are you originally from? Western North Carolina. I bet San Diego's a big change, right? A little bit, yeah. I bet. That's interesting how he says Western North Carolina. Like, why doesn't he just say North Carolina? Yeah, why is that? Because there's a marine base in Jacksonville, North Carolina, out in the eastern part, and it is totally different where I'm from. Oh, yeah.
I don't want to be associated with that eastern. Excuse me. I'll tell you something. No, sir. That's right. I am from western North Carolina. Thank you very much. West side. That's right. All right. Here are your categories, P1 Taylor. You got Bon Jovi, Potpourri, and Grunge Rock. Which one do you want? I'll try my hand at Bon Jovi. You got it, dude. Here's your question. Your question is, in the song You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi, he says, an angel's smile is what you sell.
You promised me heaven, then put me through what? Hell. You got it. Oh, my God. It's what you sell. You promised me heaven, then put me through hell. What happened? Does anybody remember the video? I don't remember the video.
Does anybody remember the video for that? Is that the one where they're in the concert? Is it? The really disgusting part is I can't stand Bon Jovi. My aunt loves them, though, so I know all their songs. Oh, wow. I'm sure you do. I want to know if that was the video where they show, oh, no, I'm thinking of Motley Crew. I was going to say they show the drummer in a drum set that goes upside down, but that was Tommy Lee and Motley Crew. Hang on the line, bro. I need you to put them on for me, Zeth. And let's do one more. Yes. I do want to do it. Let's do one more.
I like it. I like it. I like it. Hello. Here we go. Final one. It is P1 Eclipse. Eclipse, are you there? Yes, I am. How are you doing? Good, man. How old are you? 25. What do you do for a living? I'm a delivery driver. I deliver water. There you go, dude. There you go. Oh, you're a great man. You're a great man. You deliver water to my house and you're in the area. I love you, dude. Because I love water and you serve water. What do you mean to us? What do you mean to us? Is it drop down to the house? If you want to sign up, I'll hook you up.
There you go. Oh, dude, email me. You know what's up? Okay. P1 Eclipse, your categories are grunge rock, potpourri, and Bon Jovi. What do you want? Let's go with the smell good. Potpourri. There you go. I love it, dude. I love it. Let's do it. Okay, Bon Jovi it is. All right, bro. In the song Wind of Change by the Scorpions. Wow. That's a good one. Love it. He says, I follow the Moskwa down to where? Uh, the Netherland?
I have no clue. Oh. Down to Gawky Park. Down to Gawky Park. Listening to the wind of change. Oh, beautiful. Oh, it is, it is. Who could forget Klaus Mein, the lead singer of the Scorpions, where every hair looked like a hair plug. it was like he had one giant head full of hair plugs it was fantastic

To improve mileage, come by Chevron and fill up with air. That's right, air. When was the last time you checked the air pressure in your tires? Can't remember? Then it's definitely been too long. Did you know even tires in good shape can lose about one pound of pressure a month? And underinflated tires make your engine work harder, lowering your mileage. But don't overinflate them. You can usually find the recommended tire pressure on a sticker located on the driver's side door jamb.
And speaking of air, air conditioning is not so hot for your car's mileage either. Whenever you turn it on, it puts an added strain on your engine. Now, at highway speeds, it's probably better to use the A.C. rather than roll down the windows because of the aerodynamics. But around town, enjoy the fresh air. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. Hey, yesterday, Sky was telling us how Christian Bale got arrested on assault charges, and I guess his lawyer has now issued a statement. Yeah, so Christian Bale was taken into custody after he voluntarily went down to the London Police Station yesterday. These assault charges were filed by his mom and his sister. What the heck? Yeah, very weird. But basically his lawyer says that Christian attended the London Police Station on a voluntary basis and he denies the allegations. He gave his account of all the events in question to the police and left the station without any charges being made.
I mean, he was basically released on bail and does have to go back. Bail? I get it. Yeah, he was released on Christian Bale. But they're investigating, and now that this story has made the news, lots of stories are coming forth about Christian Bale's temper from coworkers. And they said actually just recently he had a big old blow-up on the New Mexico set of Terminator 4 where he started freaking out and was, like, screaming at the director, telling the director that he messed up a shot and, like, just, yeah,
like, anger issues, according to people who have worked with him before. That would blow. Yeah. I mean, he should be on such a high right now with Batman being the biggest movie out there. Right? I agree. Hey, Skye, who's the new hosts of At The Movies? Okay, so we talked yesterday about how Ebert and Roper are out. Ebert, Ebert, Ebert, Ebert, Ebert. So they announced yesterday, following that, the new host, which will be E! Entertainment movie buff Ben Lyons. Never heard of him.
Okay, how about Turner Classic Movies weekend host Ben Manquisky? Come on. Or something like that. Well said. Some with a W, a C, and a Z in it, yeah. Never heard of it. That's terrible. So that'll debut in September, and they say, oh, we're going to have all these great new segments called, like, we're going to have one called Critics Roundup, where they get a bunch of different critics. They're just going to have a segment called The Three to See, where they list the three best movies out there right now. Genius.
Yep, there you go. Hey, in Massachusetts, parents are putting, they're putting how's my teen driving stickers on their kids' cars. Yeah, so you know you've seen those on like vans or whatever, how am I driving call, you know, so companies can know how their drivers are driving. Well, some parents in Massachusetts thought it would be a good idea to do that for their brand new teenage drivers. And so they've like set up this company where you get the sticker, it says how's my teen driving. You call the number if you see the teen doing anything crazy. And within 15 minutes of you calling the number and reporting it, an incident report is sent via email to the parents.
Yeah, so. I would like to put one of those on the back of a Wienermobile and drive a Wienermobile around. Why? I think it would be fun. Okay. It's one of my dreams to drive a Wienermobile. Oh, is that right? It's also one of my dreams to work at one of those places that sells the frozen bananas, like in Arrested Development. The banana stand. The banana stand. Wasn't it George Michael that worked at the banana stand? Of course it was.
Maybe helped out sometimes. Maybe worked there for a little bit. Maybe worked there? How would you like to have a name like George Michael? Awesome. You know what? My new sister-in-law isn't far off. Yeah, her name is Serena and she married into the Williams family. Get out of here. Oh, come on. And so Serena Williams, you know, like the tennis player. So when we were up north this past weekend for the reception, she was making all these appointments for us to get our nails done and our eyebrows and massages. And every single time we like I'd hear her on the phone or when we'd walk into the place, they'd always ask her.
Serena Williams. You'd be like, oh, yeah, do lots of people ask you about your name, just like the tennis player? And the weird part is your brother's name is Venus. That's right. That is so weird. That is so weird. Yeah. The really, I think, unique thing about that is that Serena is not that common of a name. No. Right. Like, what's really trippy, too, is like in the NFL, there was a Michael Jackson. He was a wide receiver for a while. Michael Jackson. I think he played for Cleveland and then he went to Baltimore.
But those names crack me up. Yeah, like Office Space? Who was the guy? Michael Bolton. Michael Bolton. Michael Bolton? That's me. Wow, is that your real name? Yeah. So are you related to that singer guy? No, it's just a coincidence. Are you related? No, there's nothing wrong with that name. There was nothing wrong with it until I was about 12 years old and that no-talent clown became famous and started winning Grammys. Why don't you just go by Mike instead of Michael?
No way. Why should I change? He's the one who sucks. Awesome. Way to go, Sean. That was rad. I want to know why, and what was so funny about that clip from that movie is, you can actually hear that conversation happening, because you can imagine somebody going, are you related to, like, why would they think that you're related? That's so stupid. Because you have the same name. Right. I have a great one, and I, like, did that exact same thing. Back when I worked at Williams-Sonoma, when I was a gift rapper slash cashier, when I was, like, 16, I was working with this fair-skinned, bright redhead in her name.
was Whitney Houston. No. Holy cow. And I totally, I couldn't help myself, Mike. Like, I had to be like, so how did you get the name? Like, was, you know, your parents a huge fan of the singer? And she's like, no, dude, they named me that before Whitney Houston was famous. And now, now this. Like, I mean, how many times a day do you have to go through that? Right? You know? Dude, it's like my friend Jeffrey Dahmer. It was so, I mean, it was just, it was like, I mean, the chances. I used to have a brother named David Duchovny.
Yeah. What happened to him? I don't know. Hey, Eddie, remember our old roommate Adolf Hitler? Do you remember that? He was so, like, he gave him so much. Such a hard time. That is awkward. Such a hard time over that name because. Such a nice guy, though. Right? It's so ironic. I know it. Who would like to play a little game that I like to call a Sean TV? Sean likes watching his TV. Oh, Sean likes sounds good to me.
Well, you know that it might be not as gay as something. Watch by Mikey when he's watching. Ashley's getting into it. She's pumping her fish. She almost came out of her chair. Please stop. Come on, Sean. Wow, you are really excited. I mean, isn't it kind of inappropriate? It is a little bit, yeah. Let me explain what Sean TV is. Sean watches everything. He does.
He watches everything. I like television, Mike. I don't know how you are able to watch all those programs, though, Sean, because if we counted all the different programs that you watch, I would easily say it's two dozen shows. Yeah, probably. At least 24 shows. I do a lot of time shifting, Mike. You do? Yeah, most of my weekends are spent watching everything. Okay. Okay, so you TiVo and watch on the weekend. For the most part, yeah. I try and get in about three hours a night if I can.
Wow. I genuinely would like to know, Sean, where you do find out about these shows. Because when you mention them to us, they're usually on kind of obscure networks that we haven't heard of. And they're offbeat shows. How do you know about them in the first place? Some I get from, like, Entertainment Weekly. Some I get from, like, TV Guide. Because they do write-ups on shows. And then some of them I just find by surfing around. I like to surf around and look at all the channels and read, like, the show titles. The description.
Yeah. Well, not even the description, just the title of the show. And if I see something like Tim and Eric, awesome show. Great job. That will definitely catch my eye. Wow. At one time just to see. Really? Yeah. Wow. OK. So now you get the basic concept of Sean TV. He introduces us to new shows. Now, I'm going to tell you, we. We've been doing Sean TV now for probably about a year. Over the course of that year, we've probably been introduced to approximately, I don't know, I'd say 30 shows over the last year, something like that. There have probably been two out of those 30 that are something that people would actually watch.
Eddie, you know that. I don't necessarily. I'm being very generous. I'm being generous. That's a bit cruel. Well, you got the Tim and Eric you love. Oh, yeah. You got the unbeatable blonde Zouquet. Mm-hmm. Well. Kenny versus Benny, maybe. Kenny versus Benny I watched. A three. Keep going. Wait, wait, wait. There is that one that Sky liked, too. Yeah. The one about the sports. What's it called? Sports action team. There's two that I loved, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. And you covered Animal Groomer Has It.
Yeah, Groomer Has It. Ridiculous. Animal Planet, which I watch and love. So there's some good stuff. The finale with that was crazy, too. Stop it. I haven't seen it. Don't tell me. I couldn't believe. He's done banana check like five times. I couldn't believe the artist won. I mean, it was really crazy. No, I haven't seen it. Don't even tell me. Oh, no. All right, Sean, anyway, what is today's Sean TV program? So, you know, Mike, the summer television season is off and running, and there are a lot of great shows on television right now. But isn't this kind of like the dumping ground for the networks this summertime? Thank you, Eddie.
I would say that, you know, perhaps at one time that may have been true. I think Eddie's right, actually. I believe all of the networks are now taking it very seriously. And the summer season is actually where they put a lot of great shows on. No, I don't think that's an opinion. And they don't waste them during the fall. I think Eddie's right. They do. They waste them. I don't think so. I don't think so. But, you know, I could be right. Okay. definitely wrong so sean what have you got today uh today um i've got a really great show that's on comedy central um it is a reality-based show called reality bites back oh okay and uh it's a
it's a i'm not gonna i'm not gonna like it why because it's going to be terrible and i'll tell you Mike's right. I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what. You haven't heard anything about it yet. I defy you to prove me wrong. What we're going to hear right now is going to be some sort of hodgepodge of various reality shows. It'll make sense to Sean. Maybe Ashley. The rest of us will be in the dark. Sean.
It's a competition, Mike, between 10 comedians from Los Angeles and New York, I think. So it's Last Comic Standing. Yeah. No, it is not. Like I said, a compilation of different shows. Let's hear him out. In this case, Last Comic Standing. Can I please? Mike is correct in that it is a hodgepodge of various reality shows. They parody things like Big Brother, Rock of Love, American Gladiators, Amazing Race. Are you smarter than a fifth grader? And they put these 10 comedians in those various situations.
Okay, now wait a minute. Parity is good. That sounds good. Parity is good. So why don't we go ahead and let the comedians introduce themselves. Hi, I'm Bert, and I have a goatee because if I don't, it looks like my real chin has balls. Start laughing, it looks like I'm teabagging my shirt. My name's Theo Vaughn, and this $50,000 would mean that I could get out of debt, and I would probably put a down payment on a better apartment or an apartment in general. Hi, I'm Amy Schumer, and I deserve to win this money because I grew up wealthy, so I should get it. I'm spoiled. I'm white.
My name is Daniel Rollins. In this house, there's hidden cameras everywhere. And that wasn't really an issue to me because I've been in prison before, and there are cameras everywhere. Hi, I'm Jeff, and my interests are—wait, hold on. I don't have any interests because I'm married and I have children, so I have no interests at all anymore. I'm Red Grant, and basically I'm an ugly dude with cute features. You know, you gotta look at me right. Now this is all actors? Is that what you're telling me? These are actors? No, they're all comedians. Comedians.
Yeah, so they're kind of introducing themselves. They're doing a little stick at the same time. Oh, okay. Yeah, so what they've done is they basically put them in, for the first segment here, they put them in the Big Brother house. They're doing a parody of Big Brother. So, the first contest that they did was they put the comedians each separately in a totally dark room. There's no light at all. And the challenge is there's a potential mate inside this room. And they've got to seduce them using only their voice and their talent. About halfway through this seduction that they do, they flip on the lights to reveal who's in the room with them.
They had no idea who was actually in the room, and here's how one of them went down. I said we go back to your house, you know, get a cup, bottles of wine, maybe a bottle of tequila. Start off slow, you know, and then we start talking. We forget that we're about to make love. Bam, the sex starts, and it's great. Hey, Bob. Hey, Mom. How you doing? Oh, God. Are we done with this bit yet? Is it over? That's the high watermark. I never said anything more disgusting to my mother ever. Now, this is real.
This is not like acted out. This is not acting. This is real. It's real, yeah. Oh, wow. Basically, that was like the tamest one I could find out of all of them. It was pretty outrageous. Wow. So it's called Reality Bites Back. It's on Comedy Central Thursdays at 10.30. I'll see you there. Thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen. We've got to take a break when we come back. That was crazy.
There is a student suing a high school teacher, their high school teacher, for calling her ugly and kicking her. You can't do that? Apparently you can't do that. I will give you the details after this. It's Mikey.
I was in the convenience store yesterday and one of the cans in the cooler started talking to me. Now, I know what you're thinking, but this was no ordinary can. This was the new Coors Light 24-ounce cold activated can. It tells you when the beer inside is cold. The mountains on the can turn blue when all 24 ounces are as cold as the Rockies. It's like the Coors Light can is talking to you. Like it's saying, hey, you, it's me. I'm perfectly cold. Drink me. Now, I don't know about you, but I'm not going to argue with the can. The Coors Light 24-ounce cold activated can.
The mountains on the can turn blue when your beer is as cold as the Rockies. From Frost Brewed Coors Light, the world's most refreshing beer. Coors Brewing Company, Golden, Colorado, or Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. And remember, you hold the key. Never drive drunk. A fun night out requires a little planning, so begin by deciding not to drive drunk. You hold the key. Never drive drunk. A reminder from Coors Light. And now, another gripping real-life story from the Mossy Toyota Makes It Happen Files. It was a Thursday afternoon, and Jane Doe was on a mission. A mission? The South 15, still a few brake lights here from Felicita off and on the Via Rancho, then scattered again through Rancho Bernardo.
And the Northbound 163 coming off the Northbound 5 freeway is all jammed up here due to people working on trees or trimming trees here. And that's really causing a back up there. So watch for that. Be careful making that transition into the downtown S-curve. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. So Eddie is now on the sleep train. Yes, I am. I got aboard. And it's because you just got a new house. Eddie just bought a new house. And he's putting some beds in, furnishing the place. Yeah, I heard you talking about it for quite a while and I made the choice to go into Sleep Train and it was a great choice because, you know, you really, their selection is awesome.
You know, you can really, really improve the way you sleep by your mattress. Did you decide to go with that sleep number or you went with something different? No, I went with the Sealy, which is the number one best-selling mattress in America, which I found out there at Sleep Train. I'm feeling very knowledgeable. It has the pillow top on top, but yet it's still pretty firm. Yeah. So you get both going there. That's awesome. So it was really cool. I can't wait. It's being delivered tomorrow and get to sleep on it for the first time tomorrow. It's so cool, man. Looking forward to it.
I'm telling you, go in there. If you go in there before two o'clock, they'll deliver the same day. Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep. Now back to Mikey. I am short, shaved, Mexican, bald head. Eddie, when I don't eat, I become a different person. Sky, yes, I'm not the only liberal person in the world. Sean, I routinely obsess about the cleanliness of my windshield. Austin Rob, I have this when I'm merging from the 805 to the 8. You're afraid that it'll collide. Yes.
And Ashley, hygiene is very, very, very important to me. The Mikey show's on. Something supernatural is going on. Rock 105.3. It is 9.30. Well, this sucks. Former Golden Girl, Estelle Getty, has died at the age of 84. That's your tease. It sucks, man. It's your tease. I love her.
It sucks. Well, it does. When it's good, I tell you. Is it written down like that? I bet you it is. That's what I want to see. It is. This sucks. Dot, dot, dot. How can I wear this for the most? That's great. While the Chargers give defensive end Luis Castillo a new five-year, $43 million extension. So this is an interesting story, man. Does it suck? Yes. Now, Sky, what is the deal with this high school student? It is a high school student, right?
Grossmont? It's in the district. It's in the Grossmont District. Yeah, it's Mount Miguel High School. And what's the deal? Okay, so basically this freshman girl on Valentine's Day, I guess, the choir was getting together. And I'm not sure if she's in the choir or if it was only choir people. I'm not really sure. But they were getting together to go around from class to class and deliver singing Valentine's Day grams. Okay. Who knew?
Is it authorized? yeah because the teacher was involved in it um and then this one freshman she wanted to be a part of it and she claims that there were about 50 students there and the teacher said um that she couldn't participate because she quote looked bad and had no choir t-shirt and that the t-shirts cost $15 and i guess the girl didn't have $15 and so she said to the teacher well does a t-shirt really cost $15 like do i have to really have $15 to be able to you know be a part of this and then the um the teacher
said that if the student couldn't afford a t-shirt then she had to leave and then they go on to say that the teacher called the girl quote now let's now let's stop so far and now if that's true so far, I understand and I don't have a problem with it yet. I mean, if the guy's going, oh, you gotta have a t-shirt because we're all wearing these t-shirts. You don't have one. You can buy one and then you can go. And if she says, I don't have 15 bucks, then, oh, sorry. But so far, I'm okay. Yeah, that sucks, but yeah. Okay. Do you think that she should go, Skye, even though she didn't have the shirt?
Well, I know that when I was part of Dan's team and she was Oh, yeah, you were. Yeah, you were. Lyrical jive. Shut up. That there were funds put aside for the kids who couldn't afford the uniform so they could still participate because it's not fair just because your family doesn't have the money then that means that you can't participate in things. But do you think that that's what this is? I don't know. It's a $15 wire shirt. It sounds like a kid who didn't have 15 bucks. Yeah, a kid that didn't have the t-shirt. At that moment.
Yeah, at that moment. And I understand those programs you're talking about, but that's because that was set up for a uniform. And it's like, you know, and I like that. I think that's really cool. Like, let's say there's a kid that wants to play football, but he can't afford, you know, to get. Let's say that in order to play football, you've got to pay for your uniform and it's 150 bucks. And you don't have it. They got something set up. So the, you know, underprivileged kids. I was also in choir and the same thing went for my choir. But I don't know. They were in choir? Yeah. And it was about wearing a T-shirts guy? Well, we didn't wear T-shirts.
We wore the, like, tuxedo shirts, you know? Right. And they had something set up. What are the pictures, man? I know. I want to see that. Now, they had something set up. If you couldn't afford the tuxedo thing, they would supply one for you. Yeah, pretty much any school, any program through the school had that. Now, my school didn't have that, but it could be because they just didn't. Now, if this school didn't have that, I'm all right. Hey, listen, I mean, we wish you could. It's 15 bucks you're in, kid.
If not, you know, we can't do anything about that. But regardless, didn't Skye start the story by saying that the teacher was like, well, I don't like the way you look? I don't get that. What does that mean? I don't like the way you look. Is that the kid's version, though? I don't know. That's messed up. The quote is that she, quote, looked bad. See, now what about that? Yeah, what does that mean? By the way, I caught the e-use regardless. Don't think I did. Yes, we got it. There was no irregardless use. Points to Ash.
The lawsuit goes on to say that the teacher called the student, quote, a brat and, quote, ugly, and then kicked her on the buttocks as she walked out of the room in front of 50 other students. So the family's lawyer went to the school and wanted to settle out of court for $75,000, and the school refused, and so now the lawsuit is official and going to court. Does she have witnesses? Like, I'm not buying it. Well, she says it was in front of 50 other students. Now, whether those 50 other students corroborate her story or don't, I don't know, but she claims it was in front of 50 other people. Yeah, and I want to know, like, what it would have looked like.
Like, were they all laughing and having fun? And like, even the girl that didn't have the shirts laughing and blah, blah, blah. Yeah, joking around. Yeah, and he's doing like this real clownish animated, like, I'm going to kick you in the butt. What, the teacher? And then it turned into. No. It was a female teacher. And she couldn't take a joke. And then it turned into. That would still not be appropriate. You guys, you've all been in high school. You had the teachers that were real fun. The cool teacher. That came around, call me a brat and pretend to kick me. And call me ugly in front of everyone? No, no, no, no. Calling somebody ugly, that's not cool.
I've never had a teacher play around. I'm with Eddie, though. It sounds like I wonder if maybe this is the kid's version. I don't know. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. In either way, is that really worth 75 G's? No kidding, man. I got called poor in high school by the sister, Adrienne, that was my chemistry teacher. She called you poor? I came into a class, and I had, like, these big baggy pants on, and I didn't wear a belt into school that day, so they were hanging down, and I'm jogging in there, trying to, like, scoop them up while I'm getting in, and she kicks me out of the class in front of, like, I don't know, 30 people.
She's like, get out of here. She's like, you know what that means? If people don't have a belt, and their pants are, like, too big for their size, she's like, back in the day, that meant that they were poor, and they had to wear hand-me-downs, which they actually were hand-me-downs. I was wearing my dad's khakis because I had to, like, dress up, you know, so I didn't wear my own khakis. That's a terrible thing to say, man. Said that in front of everyone. Kicked me out of the class. Wouldn't let me come back in until I made a phone call to get a belt. And I was like, and I didn't get 75. Jeez, stop crying. Who's this girl? Well, this girl never went back to school. Oh, my God.
After this incident, she never went back to school. You know who she should get a sponsor from? Kleenex. No kidding. I don't blame her on that. Oh, come on. Thank you. She never went back to school. I don't believe it was that, Mike, you always say how tough it can be on kids when they get made fun of and how much that sucks. Hold on. Guess what? She's being a brat. Exactly what the teacher said, she's being a brat though. I'm not even saying that. She's climbing a river. I'm with Eddie. I don't know that this, I'm like, is this, is this true? Like, you know, is this true?
If that teacher really called her ugly and then like out of anger kicked her, Please, $75,000 ain't enough, as I'm concerned. I will not hesitate to beat your ass with your own shoe. If that's the case. I don't know. It sounds pretty crazy. Yeah. Call me, poor. I punched that nun in the face. That's right. I punched a nun? Yeah. She was a flying nun that day. Oh, man. Wow. That's shocking. So there you go.
Yeah, that's pretty crazy. What else? That hurricane is about to hit. Texas, and it's no longer a tropical storm. It's turning into a hurricane now, right? Yeah, and last check, let me look again. Last check, it was a Category 2, Mike. Now we're talking. Yeah, it's upgraded to a Category 2. They're evacuating areas around the Texas-Mexico border. So now we can call you. Remember yesterday you said, call me when it reaches? Oh, that's right. Yeah, you can call me. Okay, cool. I'll take the call now. Okay, good. I'll take the call.
You'll answer. If I see you on a caller ID, I'll actually pick up now because I know how fast this sucker's going. It's worth your time now. Yeah, definitely. I'll take the call. I'll honor it. So it's supposed to straddle the Texas-Mexico border. Drunkenly on the border of Texas-Mexico going, Hey, what's up? Hey, it's me, Hurricane Dolly. It's Hurricane Dolly. I'm straddling you. Oh, man.
Mexico. Texas. Whoa. Hey, whoa. All right. All right, Dolly. You're getting out of control. That's a crazy hurricane. Oh, yeah. Yeah, so. Drunk again. They expected to hit the coast by about midday today, but there's plenty of evacuations. And if you've been watching the TV news at all this morning, you've seen those clown school reporters out there being all dramatic. Oh, are they? They're practically being blown away. What are you? Clown schools. Well, we've been watching the Today Show, and there's this, like, 200-pound guy that who's acting like he's practically
being blown over, you know, his little rain slicker. It's possible. Okay, all right. Ridiculous. Let's see. Let's see. I heard that Hurricane Dolly is going to be worse between the hours of nine to five. Oh, you get it? Betty, you're better than that. You are better than that. You are. You are. I mean, we need plenty of legitimate jokes that are really funny. I like it. I thought it worked out, though. It's going to be crack, too, Mike. I was like, Sean!
Sean, that was just blatant. I mean, it wasn't like, you know, that wasn't clever. It wasn't, you weren't saying it was a play on words or anything. Blatantly put it out, though. I was trying to be subtle. It wasn't subtle at all. Opposite of subtle. Let's see what I can do about that. Sky has a list of Hollywood's top bachelors. Yes, Matthew McConaughey. Number three. He's married. No, he's not. He had a baby out of wedlock. Number three. What about that Irish guy?

The Rock? Dwayne Johnson. Oh, Ashley just I am me. Terry Schiavo. Ashley, that was an awful thing. To even say that is a terrible thing to say. No, days on day.
Yeah, come on, Skye. Check and see. Gosh, why am I blinking now? Yeah. Melissa Etheridge. Katie Ling. We're doing male bachelors here, buddy. Tracy Chapman. Rob. One of these guys is known to be one of the biggest players in Hollywood. Oh, Adam Levine. Adam, the real. Zeth actually got it with John Mayer. Okay. Great. I said George Clooney. All right.
Fun over. Ashley already said that, and that's the number one answer. I actually said it like 20 minutes ago. Is this on? George went. Yes, for sure. Sean, Sean, stop that. For sure. For sure. Okay. Bob Barker. Oh, Jonathan Lipnick. Yes. Is he on the list? check it Jamie Farr oh you were close Jamie Foxx yes Ashley

You're out of control, Sky. So we're just missing number seven and number two. You're the worst. I give up. I give up. You want to know the answers, Mike? Yes, please. The two you didn't get was number seven, Owen Wilson, and number two, oh, my God. Kirk Douglas.
John, you are crazy. Stop it. And the answer, Scott. Number two, Leonardo DiCaprio. There you go. I'm sorry. I didn't know that. I was close. Man. There you go. How are we on time? How are we on time? You got about five minutes. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my God. Los Angeles City Council. Los Angeles City Council voted yesterday to ban plastic shopping. bags starting in 2010. So what are they going to use? All paper
bags in Los Angeles? Starting in July of 2010, you can either bring your own bags or you can pay 25 cents for each paper or biodegradable bag. Awesome! You've got to be kidding me. I love it, I love it, I love it. Now you've got to pay for paper bags? 25 cents. Bring your own, man. B-Y-O-B-D. Bring your own. I want to ask Ashley this question nobody gets the help. Ash, why are plastic bags bad?
Because you cannot recycle them again. I know, but why are they bad? Because you cannot recycle them again. You're wasting use product. I know, but why are they bad? What do they do? Because they aren't recyclable. What does that mean? It means that they aren't reusable. I know, but how is that bad? How is that bad for the environment? Hold on, hold on, because they are reusable. I have a bunch that I reuse. Well, no, I'm helping your side.
I mean, like, recycle so you can reuse them. No, you can reuse them. But that's not why they're bad. Recycle so you can reuse them. You can't take a plastic bag and remake it, recycle it into a new bag. First of all, you can. First of all, you can. I have a whole bin at the grocery store. Ashley is the goofiest greener out there, man. This is the worst. She's so good to yell in green, but she don't have a clue why it's stupid bad. I didn't say that I did, dude. I just follow certain things. I follow certain things that help the planet.
I have solar panels. I drive a Honda. I like to watch places that have a beach. Her heart is in the right place. Ashley, the answer is because when they end up in the landfill, they do not biodegradate. What answer is that? Okay, great. You're looking at Miss Smarty Pants, Elgore. Oh, yeah, you stay smart, Elgore. But why do I have to know that it's bad? Why isn't it just me doing a good cause? Because when you believe in something, you should know why you believe it. Well, I believe it because I know that it's bad, Mike. Everyone knows that it's bad. Who thinks that plastic bags are good? Ash, you wouldn't even know that they were bad unless somebody said that.
But you should know why. Well, that's okay. Okay, well, now I know why. Are you happy? Sky, you know why. Well, I do know why, but I think it's better for her to do something good. What if that's your cause? Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Well, she's doing something good, and that's all they matter. But you can't say that, because what if people just start telling her other stuff is bad, and she doesn't know why, and it's not really bad? You should know. You should know. Her heart is in the right place. She wants to do good, and that's all. Smoking is good for you. There you go.
Smoking's good for you. If enough people tell you that, are you going to go to it? Everyone's mad at me for trying to save the planet. I know. Cry, cry, cry, cry, cry, cry, cry, cry, cry. Let the tears fill a plastic bag full. That's right. Who cares? You're the worst. Go green. I think it's great if people want to be green. I just think that if you're green, I don't know why you're green. Well, I agree with you, Mike. Kermit knows why he's green.
Yeah, exactly. He knows why he's green. If I was the type of person. He's a frog. You don't ask Kermit, why are you green? He goes, I don't know, you know, I guess because people told me I'm green. If I was the type of person, Mike, that, like, yelled at people, like, literally yelled at people, like, walking out of the grocery stores, picketing. You were just screaming right here all the time on the air. You were like, yay, yay, yay, yay, yay. Oh, yeah, I yell in support, but if I'm going and yelling at people. You don't even know why it's bad. Like, here you are saying. Murder! Murder! Yes, that's the deal. See, when I heard it, when I heard that there was no more plastic bags, I'm like, oh, how incredible.
you're right mike you're right yeah you're a jerk actually like you're right i'm wrong you're smart i'm stupid you're pretty i'm ugly you win i lose save it perfect you're smart never will you have to you're not here no she doesn't know why she doesn't know why so she yeah i don't get it so i can't do it no no she'd rather not Listen, all I know is that if they did that in San Diego, I would flip out. Well, it's probably coming soon. It's awesome.
I love it. Good. Awesome. It's spreading, so come on, everybody. Go get your bags. Are you for real? Your reusable bags. Yeah, that's what I would do. I'm going to start saving all my plastic bags so that when they pass that law, I'll bring my own bag, all right? No, because those will break apart, but you, you know, go buy yourself like a canvas one. No. I got a bunch. I got two. You know, this is the problem with the liberal agenda. It affects my life. It affects my life. And saves the planet. Wow.
That's horrendous. We shouldn't cherish our earth. We shouldn't. We shouldn't take care of it. We should just caca all over it. Oh, my word. Oh, come on, Skye. Yeah. I'm not saying we should caca all over the earth. But you know something's bad for it, but you don't want to be inconvenienced. You do, too. Well, nobody wants to be inconvenienced, but I will be inconvenienced for it. You don't want to be inconvenienced, either. In fact, you'll go right on doing exactly what we just did. I already have the bags.
Do you believe that she takes those bags every time she goes to Vance? Of course not. I got a P1, gave me a bunch of them, and then I have a couple of them. And you own them every time you go to the grocery store? Most of the time, yeah. Oh, son of a... Eddie, this is what I'm talking about. Do something about her. It's not just Sky. It's not just Sky. It's every liberal, man. They all do that. You're in jail. What? That's so true. I believe that Sky does that. How dare you? Sean does it, right, Sean? Absolutely. Yeah, I believe she does it once every 12 trips. Like, she'll think about it.
Like, if she thinks about it. Oh, yeah, I have that. She probably does it most of the time. You keep them in the car. You keep them in the car. And, of course, you wait until you got them for free. exactly what is she gonna do go buy one well so they were given to me like there's something wrong with me i don't know why we're the bad guys i know we're the turn you're loving mother right i'll tell you why right liberals are the bad guy here's why because they point the finger they point the finger at everybody and they go i can't believe how wrong you are i can't believe we're lovers not fighters why are you why are you never done that and then we're trying to help and you're just spitting all over us.
We've never done that, so... We don't deserve it. Stop it. Stop spitting on us. We don't deserve it. Okay, now you're farting on us. That's really nice stuff. That's really bad. Please. I have to admit, I think that that X-Files movie looks kind of good. No, it doesn't. I was thinking the same thing. I saw a commercial last night. It looked kind of good. You didn't watch the show, did you? I didn't either. You didn't watch the show, did you? No.
I didn't. But it looked good. I did, but the previews looked interesting. Yeah, I'm with you. Come on. It looked kind of good. The preview on TV, I was like, wow, that looks kind of cool. I've never seen the show in my life. You would be lost within the first two minutes. Two minutes? That's probably true. Oh, boy. It's probably true. David Duchovny, why are the X-Files still into it after 950 years? Cut 25. I think the characters were drawn as complementary of one another,
so they kind of fit very well, like puzzle pieces, and became another entity. I know that people used to yell Scully at me all the time, and I'm sure people yelled Mulder at Jillian, and we were kind of interchangeable in that way, even though very distinct. We're kind of a romantic idea of a marriage of true minds. Still want to see it. It's a real marriage, even though we're never married. Let me tell you, he hates it. He hates that he had to take this movie. He hates it. Why? This is what he said to his agent. Yeah, that's what he said to his agent.
Fine, tell him we'll do it. Really, Bill? There's nothing else out there. That's it? Is this it? This is the offer we're getting. It's the only thing we have. All right, tell them we'll do it. When does shooting start? I did Summerstock, bro. Oh, yes. Do you know how long... Do you know I did Summerstock? She's in the park. Hello, does anybody... She didn't know I did that? I spent three and a half years off Broadway. Did you know that? No. I'm just... Did you know that? Did you know I'm an actor? I didn't know if you knew that I could act in other things, too.
Bill, are you shopping my play? Yeah, don't. I wrote a one-man show, and are you even throwing it out there? It's anything independent at all that we got across the desk. I think that was it this week. It's funny. Chasing aliens. That's what I'm doing. He hates it. Yeah. For sure. You guys ready to hear the YouTube clip of the day? Oh, my goodness. Let's do the YouTube clip of the day. Now it's time for the YouTube Clip of the Day.
Ladies and gentlemen, YouTube Clip of the Day is somebody that we know named Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. Oh, yeah! Listing their demands for doing the ESPY Awards, cut 29. You have to meet some more demands if that's going to happen. We want to go to the Super Bowl. But we want to go to Super Bowl XIII from 1979, Steelers vs. Cowboys. Get whoever is still alive from those teams and have them replay the game for us. Also, I want to ride Big Brown. And I want to ride Secretariat next to him, attached to a chariot.
Isn't Secretariat dead, though? Dig him up. Get some chariots and reanimate those dead horses. Don't give us that look like that's going to be an issue. But that's not the only thing we need. John and I want to be the new hosts of PTI. I call the black guy. What? No. I want Harry Carey riding Mike Ditka at my kid's birthday party. So I'll dig him up. I want to fight Muhammad Ali in his prime. On the moon. In a special bubble stadium. 18 holes.
With Tiger Woods. On the moon. I've seen the commercial. We've seen the video. So don't tell me it can't be done. Because it can be done. We want to party with Roger Clemens. And we want him to remember it. At the next Dodgers game, I want to throw out the first pitch. And I want to throw out the last pitch. I want the Cold War to start again so the Olympics can be interesting. I want Greg Oden to tuck us both in and tell us stories about the old days. I wouldn't mind having a David Beckham hot tub party. I want to be Barack Obama's running mate. And I want two slow dances with John McCain's wife. I'd love to meet this Gipper character.
You do this right now. I want to meet Babe Ruth right now. We've been explicit about our demands. The ball's in your court. Yep. Get back to us. If ESPN is really the network they claim to be, then you'll deliver. I think one of my favorites there was, I want to meet the Skipper's character. Dig him up. We got to take a quick timeout. Don't go anywhere. We got a bunch of cool stuff, man.
Don't go away. We got so many cool pieces of audio that I haven't even got to yet. So we got to do that. Don't go anywhere. And, oh, Ashley had a trippy thing happen, man. Ash, when we get back, I want you to tell that story about what happened to you and your dad. I think maybe it was just your dad when he was calling 911 when you were back up in the Bay Area. Oh, yeah. That was nuts. We'll tell that when we come back. Don't go anywhere. It's a Mikey show. We'll be right back. The Mikey Show.
Oh, yes! All right, repeat after me. My car is not a gas guzzler. My car is not a gas guzzler. Because I keep my car tuned up. Because I keep my car tuned up. Better mileage tips presented by Chevron. How fast are you going right now? Really? That fast?
I know. I don't know what to do now. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with that. Ski, what did you guys plant at your house? You said you were planting a lot of stuff. You were doing some gardening. What did you plant? Oh, gosh. What didn't we plant? Cannabis. No. No, that was high school. Was it all like decorative or did you do anything like... Yeah, we haven't done the veggie beds yet, but, you know, we did. some canna, we did some lantana, we did some lavender, we did some sage. You already did it.
Hibiscus, hydrangea. She planted biscuits. Those things grow in, man. Sometimes they're delicious. Some Hogan Villa. Plant some gravy. Scott, you planted sage. That's good. That's like an herb, right? You planted some herbs? Yeah, you know, just to bring some... Yeah, she planted some oregano, right? Oh, yeah. Sage, quote-unquote. Yes. Some oregano. We planted some oregano. Mondo grass. Some skunk oregano, Mike. Yes.
The Maui-Waui, Mike. Yeah, some real good Chico oregano. Great for brownies. I think we're going to do the veggie bed next, but we've got to find out what's appropriate to plant in the summertime. Oh, talk to me, Skye. I can get you dialed in there, sister. Well, no, you just planted lettuce the other day. What are you talking about? Aside from lettuce. You can get me dialed in. He's Mexican. Fine. I'm Mexican. You know you're missing out here. Maybe I'll call him to pick the plants for me. If we decide on strawberries, we'll have you over there. No, yeah.
My stuff is blowing up, man. My stuff is getting gigantoid. Yeah, we'll have to have a little discussion about it. In fact, I just wrote our gardening friend Zizi upstairs because rumor has it he's got this thing he does that I need some clarification on. Why don't you ask me? Oh, no. Whoa, there he is. I'll tell you exactly what you need to do. That's old man Jerry Baker. Old man Baker. Old man Baker.
Old man Baker. Yeah. Well, he's a very famous gardener. Old Man Baker, I didn't know. Why didn't he even ask you? I'm buying some pickle juice and crayons. Wait a second. But not the purple crayon. That'll ruin it. Oh, my goodness. Old Man Baker, as you know, this guy is... Okay. Whoa. Well, first of all... I love beets. Okay. You know, you know. You really love beets. You grow monster beets. There he is. He's Old Man Baker, and he refuses to sell his property. This guy has lived in the same place now his entire life.
He was born in that house. Yeah, very fertile soil. Let me tell you something. Okay. I got a radish the size of David Hasselhoff. Wait a second. Wow. It's gigantic radish. Of all the things to compare it to. I mean, that's the awkward shape for a radish. Yeah. I mean, why would you say that it's as big as David Hasselhoff? It's incredible. It is. Oh, I guess so. Okay. Well, you have any good tips for us today, Old Man Baker? Yeah, Old Man Baker, tell us something. What can we mix together to really get some good fertilizer going?
May you put a combination of grape, soda, gasoline, and human pubic hair. No, you do not. You do not. Compared to the non-human pubic hair that's out there on the market. Exactly. Yes. You're getting to be a good Gardner lady. Thank you. He's really figuring it out. That's nice. Well, thank you so much, old man Baker, for stopping. Can you smell the rosemary of me?
Strange guy, old man Baker, but knows a lot about Gardner. Really can't question him because he does know what he's talking about when it comes to Gardner. Let's see. Stalgetti has left us at the age of 175. That sucks. That sucks. It really does suck. Sky believes that that sucks. It does. What's going to happen when Rua Clannan... I know it. Well, she wasn't my favorite. She'll say it's total BS. Sophia was my favorite.
But what can you do? Let's see. Sherry Shepard from The View says she had more abortion than she would like to count. Oh, wow. That's quite a thing to admit on television. That chick has, like, no filter whatsoever. She just says it. Yeah, she actually said it because she's a born-again Christian and she was being interviewed by this Christian woman's magazine. And so she said it in there talking about how, you know, stuff about crack houses and abusive relationships.
And then she says, quote, I was sleeping with a lot of guys and had more abortions and I would like to count. And it is making news all over the place. That's a scandalous thing to say. Congratulations. You know, I mean, yeah, that's her past. The seventh one free? Born again. But still, yeah, very, very odd thing to say. So, you know, obviously she's being questioned about it and then had to go on to explain herself on the view. Yeah. Ooh. Yeah. Crazy. There are more video games being produced right now that are being targeted to girls.
Yeah, they said that they're, where did I? Well, they just came out with what? That cooking on Wii, right? That's right, that's right. They got synced up for the PS3. How about I Can't Drive for the Wii? These are video games based on movies. What? Wee Housekeeping? Wow. Iron my shirt wench for the PS3.
So they're trying to market more video games to teen and pre-teen girls. You got time to lean. You got time to clean. Get back in the kitchen for the PSP. Oh, man. Ashley and Skye are not pleased with this kind of humor. So they're putting out three new video games based on movies. The movies are Clueless, Mean Girls, and Pretty in Pink. There you go.
How is that a game? Like, what? Yeah, what are you going to make a game out of Pretty in Pink? Pretty in Pink. How does that work? You got to get to the wedding. Oh, no, that's 16 candles, sorry. I wonder if they're going to have a market, like if chicks are really going to be into it. I'll tell you what would be genius is like, you know, a Hannah Montana for the Wii. Now that would sell with teens. You know what I'm saying, Mike? Why haven't they? Yeah, that would work. All right, beginning and end of every show, we do open phone segment. You call in about anything you want.
570-1053 is our phone number, so call us right now. Uh, and like I said, it's open. You can do anything you want. You can talk about anything you want. We'd love to hear from you on the text message. Listen, you're still allowed to do it when you drive. All right, P1? Oh, my God. You know, don't hold back.
The new hands three-year-old. It's still dangerous. It's not a good idea. It's not a good idea. She's telling the truth, though. You got to text now when you drive. You can't use that phone. I see what Rob's doing. I see what Rob's doing. I'm just saying. You can't use the phone. I'm texting all the time now. Rob, you've always texted. You're trying to use it as an excuse. You've always texted. You've always texted. What's your point? That means you don't like to answer your phone, bro.
That's a bad guy. Guy doesn't like to answer his phone, for crying out loud. No, he doesn't. All right, let's take a couple calls. Let's see. P1J. Hey, how you doing? Good, man. What's up? I got a question for Sky. How many money trees did you plant? No. Wait a minute. Oh, man, if there was such a thing, then my yard would be full of them. What? All you would do the same. Don't you lie. That's right. I'd be planting one. Yep. 570-1053.
Your money tree. Speaking of hands-free. Okay. We didn't really roll Boston Rob's hands-free parody. Oh, yeah. We only did it one time. That's true. We really... Wouldn't you guys like to hear that? Is that what you were going to say? I agree. All right. I'm going to take a couple calls. Oh, there it is. Oh, we got it. I heard it. I hear it. Oh, for goodness. It's the tune of Amy. So this is hands-free. Enjoy it. Coming along. Duh. Come on.

Go ahead, Annie. I was just out on a walk with my son. And we saw a three to four foot rattlesnake.
Where was it? I can't hear anybody. Oh, sorry. Go ahead. Where was it? It was in between the sidewalk and the street on the grass area where the trees are planted. The grass area? Uh-huh. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in my life. And I was so scared that I think we may need to move. Was it coiled or was it moving? It was stretched out, sunning. On the sidewalk?
No, it was on the grass in between the street and the sidewalk. And how close did you come to it? Fortunately, for our lives, I saw it probably about 15 feet before we got there. Otherwise, I wouldn't be telling you the story right now. You wouldn't be. Because I've never thought that you should be walking out there. And you know how I give you too much guff? And I'm constantly giving you guff. You know, like the bear spray that you got me. Because I'm a jerk, right? I got her bear spray. No, you didn't. No, I do.
For the Grizzlies? He got me bear spray. I got her bear spray for the coyotes because the coyote story of people being eaten alive by coyotes. No one was eaten alive. There were children that were attended to. Of 450 pound men being eaten alive. You guys should see this canister of bear spray by the way that I have to carry around in the stroller. It's like the size of a fire extinguisher. The only reason that I have her carrying that is because she refuses to carry a .45 caliber pistol. That's what I would have her carrying.
I'd have her carrying an HNK 45 caliber automatic. If there's snake spray though, I would carry it. Okay, so I didn't give her any guff about this because she tells me she walks and I'm thinking to myself, I know there's snakes there, I know there's snakes there, but she does it, but she wants a guff. So now she's seen a snake. My question, will you continue to walk? Same place. I will continue to walk, but I may need to rethink the route. Because they're not going to be anywhere else.
Right? Maybe she just shouldn't leave the house at all, Mike. Skye? Skye? Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. You guys. And you should wrap Jake in some of that bubble wrap. I'm just telling you guys, man. Just in case. Can't be too safe. Seriously. Can't be too safe. That's not a bad idea. The bubble wrap. If she's being serious. We can be lady and son walking in a bubble. Yeah. We'll get a big bubble and the stroller will fit in the bubble. That's cool.
And we'll be rolling down the street like a big sphere. Do you think it's still there? Can I go see it? You know, here's the crazy thing. So I'm standing there trying to figure out what am I supposed to do? What am I supposed to do? Am I supposed to call somebody? What am I supposed to do? Yes, the police. Well, I was thinking about it. You're supposed to call animal control. So, this woman, right about that time, this woman comes out and she's got her dog. And I'm like, oh, oh, excuse me. Send your dog over, please. No, no, no. You might not want to let your dog out because there's a snake. And I think it's a rattlesnake, but I'm not sure.
I won't get close enough to it to make sure. And she goes, oh, thanks. I'll put my animals inside. So, she comes back out in bare feet, just charging across the street right towards it. and i'm like uh i wouldn't do that if i were you you know so she goes right over to it and picks it up and eats the head off practically and she's like oh yeah it's a rattlesnake all right and it's a big one i'm gonna kiss it and i'm like pet it yeah that's kind of what i thought um what do you do in this situation are you supposed to call somebody or or what's what's
the protocol honestly i think you're supposed to scream and she said hysterically she said well you could hysterically scream you could call the fire department she said um but you know i think it'll probably just go back into the preserve and you know we won't have to worry about it yeah and i go okay well there's just a lot of kids and stuff around here and she goes oh you know what i'll just get a shovel and i'll i'll uh try to encourage it back oh my god is she that's the stupidest thing i've ever heard well i said you're more brave than me and she said well i'm a firefighter yeah is this amy whitehouse yeah who did that when we bought our last house when we first moved here
to san diego when we were closing escrows the owners told us yeah you know we've had a couple rattlesnakes in the yard but i just take a shovel and cut their heads off yeah yeah okay no problem okey dokey then thank you so do you think that she's already shoveled it yeah she said she was a firefighter so i think that's why she was the barefoot firefighter yeah that's not the barefoot contessa no she's a totally different thing firefighter it was scary i'm scared and i'm pretty sure i'm gonna have nightmares mike go get your uh your flip minnow thing and record it oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah is it close by is there okay guys well we got to sign off
