Eddie's cascade of homeowner failures and Boston Rob's grief over Manny Ramirez supplied the show's most personal comic stories. The crew turned sports into arguments, debating Brett Favre's impossible role in Green Bay and whether Stone Temple Pilots had any choice but to tolerate Scott Weiland. Their games and clips produced the broadest laughs, especially Ashley's unlikely trivia lead, Larry King's incoherent broadcast, and a string of humiliating celebrity encounters. The show also covered Emma Stone's teenage Hollywood pitch, Rage Against the Machine stopping a dangerous crowd surge, and a family brawl between Nikki Blonsky and Bianca Golden over airport seats.
What happened, in order
Eddie's Homeowner Gauntlet
Eddie described a month without internet, a broken disposal, a destroyed sprinkler head, and a brand-new lawnmower that died halfway through his first mow.
Manny as the Ex
Boston Rob reacted to Manny Ramirez joining the Dodgers by comparing the Red Sox breakup to watching a difficult ex immediately get engaged to someone else.
Favre's Impossible Return
Mikey and Eddie argued that Brett Favre's return made Green Bay's commitment to Aaron Rodgers untenable because fans would demand Favre the moment Rodgers struggled.
Dumb Chick Challenge
Ashley briefly led the trivia game with the Indian Ocean and pelican while Sky missed Mason and Dixon and Jupiter and Boston Rob repeatedly gambled on hard questions.
Celebrity Encounters Gone Wrong
A listener mistook Samuel L. Jackson for Denzel Washington, Eddie's joke angered James Hetfield, and callers recalled awkward meetings with Mark Hamill and Bruce Willis.
Two Magic Drops
Mikey enthusiastically revealed a pocket-size toilet product that supposedly eliminates bathroom odor with two drops, and a caller confirmed that it really works.
Scott Weiland Stumbles
The crew discussed Scott Weiland forgetting lyrics and falling into the drum kit, then argued that Stone Temple Pilots tolerated his relapses because the band could not thrive without him.
Larry King Loses the Thread
An old clip captured an exhausted or impaired Larry King answering a journalism question as if it were about surgery before launching into a surreal monologue about professionalism.
Emma Stone's Hollywood Pitch
Emma Stone told Jay Leno that at 15 she persuaded her parents to move her to Los Angeles with a Project Hollywood PowerPoint presentation, which deeply impressed Mikey.
Rage Stops the Crush
Rage Against the Machine halted its Lollapalooza set three times while Zack de la Rocha and security tried to stop surging mosh pits from crushing people near the barricade.
Airport Lounge Brawl
A fight over saved VIP-lounge seats between Nikki Blonsky's family and Bianca Golden's family escalated into punches, a bitten foot, a serious head injury, and an arrest.

Give us a call. 570-1053 is the number. Love to hear from you. I've been on the radio, and when I'm away from it, I long for it. I can't wait to get back on it. I'm one of those guys that, you know, if I won the lottery, I would still want to keep working. And I'm also, you know, the ratings are going to have to get so bad that I get fired in order for me to ever... Get off the radio. I'll be a myopic, like, 65-year-old guy where people will probably be saying, boy, that Mikey, he just doesn't want to get off the radio even though he doesn't know what's up, you know? You know, 80 years old, I think I would probably still be doing this just because I love it. I love being on the radio. I couldn't wait to get in here this morning. 570-1053 is the phone number, so call us, and, you know, we do an open phone thing. And, by the way,
And I was even looking forward to saying this. I was really looking forward to getting in here and saying these words. We're going to be on for a long time now in terms of best of, us not being on the air. Our vacation and all that stuff for the foreseeable future is over. We're on, man. So I know P1s get all tripped out when we go away. They just get tripped out. They're like, we don't ever want you to take time off. They don't like it. They don't like it. Guess what? We're here. And we're going to be here for a while, so I'm stoked. The text number is 35253. So if you're not a member of the Mikey Show, text P1 Army, get in it. Just text the word Mikey to that number, 35253. And it'll get you in there, and that way you can communicate with us via text message. So get on that. Give us a call.
And let's get rolling. I'll do a real quick introduction so we can get into stuff because there is so much material. We have so much stuff. So much to tell you. We went to Denver and we took Thursday and Friday off. But I want to talk to you, so call. There are seven of us. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 38 years old. Eddie is my best friend. And he produces the show. And he's also the sports guy for the show. He's 35. Hello. He has had some issues. And we will get to it. About his house. He's had some issues. So we'll get to it. Sky is our news girl. Hello. She is 30 years of age. What are you rocking? What are you wearing today, Sky? I got my second-hand unicorn top on today, Mike. Oh, no, you didn't. It's cute. It's vintage, if you know. It's adorable. Oh, that's cool. It's got a unicorn. No, that's not unicorn. No, it's cool looking. That's a Pegasaurus Rex or whatever they're called. Well said. Yeah. All right. Got one of those, some sparklies. What up? That's our girl, Sky. Let's see. Shawnee, oh boy, who we can't see. Why? Hate it.
For some reason, our camera arrangement that we use to be able to see Sean isn't working properly. Hello. There he is. He is our sound effects guy, but he doesn't live in San Diego. He lives in the Bay Area, so we look at him on camera. It's not working very well this morning. Hopefully, we'll get that all dialed in, and that way I can describe to you the stuff he does. Which is genius. It is. Ashley is our assistant producer. And she has what I call the Rio hair today. I call it the Rio hair. Have you ever seen the Duran Duran video for Rio? Her name is Rio. You know what I'm talking about. Well, Sean's a big fan of the 80s. He's a big fan of the 80s. Guy loves the 80s. And Ashley is rocking that hairstyle that Rio had. And the color you don't like on me, so I apologize. It isn't that I don't like it. I apologize in advance. How are you going to even look at her today, Mike? You're going to have to stare at me for the next four hours. Unfair. Oh, no. So, sorry. Boston Rob is our phone screener. Hello. I mean, with everyone, I just... I like to say hello to people. I mean, I guess that's nice. Just saying hello. All the greeting, you ever hear that? Okay, my bad.
Whoa. He also is a singer-songwriter. He is? He produces songs for the show. Oh. And that kind of thing. Cool. He's 25. Not very good at saying goodbye, but he's a good kid. Oh, that got his attention. He's putting the person on hold. He had one earphone on and he heard that comment and the other ear had a phone on. He's crying about this. Hold on, I get some Kleenex. He's masking his emotion right now. That's right. With anger. Well, let me explain what we mean. We all flew out to Denver together. When I say all, I mean me, Eddie, Sky, Ashley, and Boston Rob. Zeth and Sean didn't go. But we all flew out together. We all came back together. And when we all got back, we were all going to the baggage claim when we landed in San Diego. Rob had carry-on. He was on his phone. He was in front of us by a good four or five steps and walking, you know, like kind of speed walking with the shoulder holding the phone up to the ear. And the only reason that I even...
was aware that he was in front of us because I wasn't aware of it is that I heard Eddie say okay well see you later and then I looked up to see like who's Eddie talking about and I saw Rob just walk out of the airport he kind of gently shoved me out of the way you're walking slow I didn't realize there was something happening and I was shoved out of the way And he bolted out, and I, bye, Rob. See you later. We all said goodbye to his back. Yes. And no turnaround, no nothing. No acknowledgement. I had stuff I had to get done. Why are you screaming? He had an appearance. He had an appearance on Saturday night at 5, and it was about 5.05. Smart scheduling. Yeah. Well, we were supposed to be in at 4.20. Dude, you know planes, man. You know that. I'm usually early on planes. So what time did you get to your 5 o'clock appearance? Like 5.15. That's not bad. We boogied, man. And I just got dropped off right in front. Who was the salesperson in charge? Gina. I didn't even see her. Well, that all worked out fine. We're all good. As far as she's concerned, I was there at a quarter of. Where were you? Down at Nikki Rodden's. Was the manager cool?
Oh, wow. What's a manager? It was an interesting appearance, to say the least. I really don't want to get into it. Okay. Let's leave it at that. Interesting. 5701053 is the phone number. Let's see. And finally, there is Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates III, Jr., Esquire, M.D., Rosie. Rosie hosted the best of the Mikey show. Yeah, I did. I would love to have heard that. Listen, Zeth is a rookie. He's a rookie. He's very green. He got this job from a contest that we did on the radio. Oh my gosh. And we let him go in the air? But he's a baby. He's a baby.
It's like saying to your four-year-old, hey, why don't you take the wheel today? How'd it go, Zeth? Pretty well, thanks to a boy blender who was around to help me out. He's a seasoned veteran. He's a seasoned veteran. So he helped you on the air? Yeah, he helped me a lot. I would have been completely lost without him. Did he say to you, when you're coming out of this particular break, make sure you give the call letters and then the time. I swear 500 times. When you're coming out of this record, make sure to talk it up to the post. That's right. Not bad, Zeth. We'll air check you as soon as your shift is over. Get the pipe a little bit. Come on. That's right. Come on, guys. Show off those pipes, buddy. There it is. By the way, you owe me an O'Henry bar. Is that his favorite or what? But an anything bar will do. Yeah, I'll take a watch of my card or I'll take five. I don't mind anything, really. Anything smothered in chocolate. That's how he gets paid? In chocolate? Through candy bars. Okay. Candy bars or Baradara? Baradara? I'll take a block of Baker's chocolate. You want Katrina, what's up?
Mikey, Mikey, my husband's birthday is in just a couple weeks, and he wants to go to that restaurant that you've talked about that has steak and the truffle fries. Yeah. But we can't remember the name. The Moose. The Moose. The Moose is loose, man. That's where we ended up going Saturday night. Oh, no. Yeah, we were going to go to Outback. Oh, you missed out. I'm sorry, bro. Maybe next time. Yeah. Well, we ended up going to Pample Moose, and holy cow, it's the best restaurant. I've ever been to in my life. Oh, my word. Pample Moose. It's my favorite restaurant ever. And I got a steak and it was so good. Like, you know when you eat and you were actually full 10 minutes ago? Yeah. You know when you eat to that point? But it was so good. It was so good. And I finally heard God go, stop. And I was like, okay, fine. But it was so good, man. We did have truffle fries and they were good. That's nice. Yeah, it's good. It's called Pamplemousse. The restaurant's called Pamplemousse. Thank you so much. Yeah, it's in Del Mar, if you're looking for it. It's on Via Del Valle. Okay, perfect. Thank you. You're welcome. P1 Andrew, are you there? Oh, yeah. What's up? Not a whole lot. Hey, I just wanted to talk about that. The Charger rally that happened this past Saturday. The Charger what? The Charger rally. I'm sorry. I don't know why I keep calling the rally. It's the Fan Fest on Saturday at Qualcomm. Fan Fest?
Yeah, they had open practice over there at the queue. They had hot dogs, autograph sessions. How was it? Yeah, how was it? It was awesome, to tell you the truth. It actually felt like opening day at the queue. Oh, wow. Yeah, I mean, it wasn't really as big of a turnout that I thought it would. However, the atmosphere over there was just like, it was really on. It really did feel like it was opening day. That's cool. Yeah, the Chargers, I mean, everybody was so great. Luis Castillo, everybody was signing autographs. Everybody had a good time. Did it get you fired up? Yeah. Yeah. Nice. Right on. Yeah, we're all ready for the Chargers season now. Hey, Andrew, can you tell new listeners what a P1 is? A P1 is a Mikey Show listener that listens exclusively to the Mikey Show. P1 is someone who, when they call, they turn their radio down, they don't cuss, and they get straight to the point. Right on. Thank you, dude. Not a problem, man. You going to be rooting for the Chargers? Are you a big Chargers fan? Oh, yeah. I'm a big Chargers fan, although I'm a little concerned with Darren McFadden and Jamarcus Russell for the Raiders right now. I don't think you need to be this year. Maybe down the line. We'll see. Hey, are you going to play fantasy football? Yes. I am, too, but I'm... You got a little while. I'll email, and I'll let you know how to do it. All right. But you played for, like...
10 years. Everything helps. Okay. Every little bit helps. I mean, you know how to play. You just aren't ready for the... I'm not ready for the season. I'm not. All right, brother. Thank you for the call. All right, man. The fabulous Mari Payton is sitting in on the anchor's desk on the Today Show and talking to Meredith Vieira back in New York. Big time. Yeah, she's made it to the anchor's desk. P1 Mari Payton. P1 Mari Payton. Yeah, she called us. She wrote an email about something we were doing last week. Her and her cameraman, Spencer, are big time P1s. Yeah, they're the best. That's right. Nice. I saw Phantom of the Opera last night. Oh, you did go. Hold on a second. What are you talking about? You love it? I mean. My wife's. Yo, Chris. No, no. Come on. It's not gay. No? It's not gay, dude. Was cats sold out? It's totally masculine. As a fellow gay man. Shut up. Totally. Come on. Nah, I don't understand it. But you've seen it before. I've seen it like four times. I still don't really get it. What don't you get? I mean, what? So my wife said, like, what do you not get? Like, she was trying to be real nice too. She was like, well, you know, is there like specifically something that you don't, you know, this is during intermission. Please. She's like, is there something specifically that you don't, I said, yeah, I don't get it, man. But get what?
What's there have to get? Okay, I'll tell you what I know. Okay. Is that the Phantom of the Opera lives underneath the Opera House, I think. Or he's a ghost. He's one of the two. He's a ghost. No, no, no. That's a dude. He's all jacked up. He's all messed up. He's all jacked up in the face. Lives under the Opera House. Yeah. His face is a ghost. You know those two guys that are trying to run a play or something? Yeah, the new owners of the Opera House. Okay. There was an old owner who had a relationship with the Phantom who took care of the Phantom. The Phantom took care of him. How did you get that? Well, because in the beginning they talk about... She read Phantom for dummies. Seriously, dude. That's what I need. The Phantom's going to demand X amount of dollars. He's also going to demand that you keep the balcony open. They have that whole exchange and they say good luck to you. I don't like it when they sing plots. I don't like plots being sung to me. It was so good. I don't get it, man. It was so good. Yeah, but what about the chandelier, huh? That was cool. Yeah, that was scary. Freaky out. Dude, I felt like... I will tell you this. I feel so effeminate when a loud noise happens and I jump. And it happens so much in Phantom. Do you scream like Ayo? No. No, but I always jump, you know? And I'm like...
I know everybody saw me jump, and it seems like nobody else jumps, which makes me feel like a girl, man, because I jump. Cute. Work on that, whatever that is. My brother Mark's coming into town today. Wow. Yeah, he'll land in like two hours, my bro. What's going on? My oldest brother. Jake's getting potty trained. Oh. That's a big deal. I know. So whenever he has to poop or pee, he tells us, you know. And then we have one of those little baby toilet lids drilled onto the toilet seat. So you put that down. That's a little tiny seat, you know? So he's not afraid of falling in, which I was. That's what I hate when I was a little kid. So is Rob, by the way. Yeah, Rob is still afraid because he falls in the toilet. He's got the same seat, you know? I just put newspaper down. That's right. And then...
You guys know how I'm into gardening and all that stuff? So I got a peach tree that gave the most delicious peaches in the world, but they have little worms in them right at the pit. I don't know what it is. I don't know what they are. I don't know how to get rid of them. I don't know how to not, but all I know is that if you cut that part out and you eat the rest of the peach, it's like the sweetest, they're like sugar peaches. Well, that's why they're in there, bro. They want some tea. I know, but there's got to be something you probably spray. You can use my special mix. There's something bigger. Oh, man. Old Man Baker. Chapter 7. Oh, wait, Old Man Baker. What is Chapter 7? You got to use Dad's Root Beer. Dad's? Okay, so specifically the brand Dad's Root Beer. Yes. Don't use that Barks garbage. I won't. Don't use Dad's. The Barks has bite. Toenail clippings. Yeah. Nose hair. That's nice. Only your own? Yeah, it's got to be your own. You can't use someone else's.
Absolutely not. Okay, that would be weird then. Who knows? Get it? There you go. Thank you. That's Old Man Baker and I'll be picking up some dads. Just ask me next time. He's the best. He's a gardening home remedy guy. His name is Old Man Baker. He's got the answer for everything. When I read Eddie's email this morning, I was like, you've got to be kidding me. Oh no. Oh, gosh. Eddie, what is going on with being a new homeowner and you? It's so much fun. What happened? Listen, my house is great. It's not like a money pit or anything like that. But I've had a lot of issues in the month that I've been there. And a lot of it is just bad customer service. Things not going my way. You know, all my issues with DirecTV and all that stuff I had. But it's installed. It looks great. I'm happy with it now. And I'm just not dealing with that garbage anymore. But I have yet to have internet at my house. What? A month long battle with my carrier to get my internet turned on. Why? I was assured. I don't know. Believe me, I don't know. Well, actually, I do know. The first time, you know, I switched the service over.
and it's through my phone company. They switched my phone service over, but forgot to switch my internet. So I call. They say, oh, okay, well, then we'll set you up here, and it'll be another week. I said, well, can't you just flip a switch? Like, what do you mean a week? So I said, all right. The week comes, nothing happens. So I call again. They said, oh. you know, we're really sorry. It's not in here that you're supposed to be scheduled for service. I don't know what happened, sir. And we'll make sure that gets turned on for you. It'll be a week. And so I flipped, you know, at that time I flipped my lid and I said, you know, this is garbage. You know, you guys, you know, screwed this up twice. You know, I mean, give me a break. And they said, you know, we're really sorry, sir. And, you know, it'll be turned on on Wednesday. This was the Wednesday we left. Right. And I said, now, do I have your assurance it's going to be turned on on Wednesday? Because if it's not, I'm going to have to cancel. I'm furious. Right. And they say, yeah, yeah, yeah. It'll be turned on Wednesday. Get home, and I still don't have internet. Oh, man. And I'm like, I don't know what to do. That's so brutal. I don't know what to do. It's just crazy. So, I'm going to have to deal with that today. It's like walking after another.
Also, it doesn't work. I tried to use that for the first time and it didn't work. It's got like a reset button on it. I get that. That didn't work. I flipped the breaker. That didn't work. It just doesn't work. And now I'm starting to get like a clog and all this stuff. But on your home inspection, it worked. That's what they said. I called and they said it did. Did you get a home warranty or not? Yeah, I have a home warranty. So they're going to have to come out and fix that. Come out, make another appointment. But that's another thing. Right. So I go out and I buy a brand new lawnmower. Sweet. And I'm excited. I'm going to, you know, mow my lawn for the first time. So get it all ready yesterday. Go out, get gas for it. I'm all excited. I start mowing my lawn. I get about halfway done and there's this one part that was kind of overgrown. It's towards the side of the house. So I'm like, all right, I'm going to take this down, start mowing it. And there was a sprinkler head that was up out of the thing. I ran over it. Destroy the sprinkler head. And my lawnmower stops. So I pull it out of there and it won't start again. My brand new lawnmower will not start. The sprinkler head is destroyed. I just am like, okay, well, you know what? I'm going to go inside. Had you finished mowing the lawn? No, it's like half done. Looks great. Looks like one of Rob's haircuts. That's not good. I'm sorry.
So I don't know what I'm going to do. The joys of being a homeowner. It's brutal. It hasn't gone so good for me so far. While we were out, Merez became a L.A. Dodger. It's okay, Rob. I can't do it right now. We'll get through this. Let the romance begin. Boston Rob, as you know, he lives, breathes, and eats Red Sox nation. When he found out that this was going down. So funny. You know, we were trying to find updates and things like this because it was funny. Get off his back. Come on. You know, this is his life. Thank you. And he was dying. He was dying. He was tripping out. When it happened and it was official, I've never seen him like that. Yeah, it was interesting from my perspective.
Because Ashley and I weren't with you guys at the time. We were off doing like some girly stuff. So when we run into Rob, Rob comes up to us. Do you guys know what's happened? Do you guys know what's been going on? That's a little dramatic. Yeah. And so we think like, you know, 9-11 part two has just happened. And we don't know. And he's like, my phone's blowing up. Everybody's calling me. I just, I can't handle it. And we're like, well, dude, what is going, like, tell us. Manny Ramirez went to the Dodgers. I mean, he'd be in the middle of a conversation with you, and he'd reach into his pocket and pull out his phone and start with his phone. I'm blowing up. And, I mean, you know, he wears all his gear and stuff like that. So, you know, everybody at the conference was coming up to him. Hey, dude, did you hear about Manny? Oh, man. Yeah. That was fun, too. Hey, watching these clips, too. It's so strange to see Manny in a Dodger uniform. Dude, you're telling me. Let's break down what he's done so far. How's he doing? Let's talk about his first bat that I saw on Saturday night right after I get out of work. The guy's belting out a home run. Coming back under the management.
And guidance of Joe Torre? What are we, an upside-down world? This is ridiculous. Saying, oh, you know what? I want to finish my career in L.A. Whatever, dude. I'm just trying to give the stats here, Mike. I don't want to hear him. I have no allegiance to anyone. Except to my boy. I appreciate that. Manny loves L.A. He loves it. These are not the stats. He's gone eight for 13 so far with five RBIs in three games. Yesterday went four for five with a homer and three RBIs. Although Friday night he lost the game for them. Hit into a double play. I mean, that happens. That didn't mean he lost. His own hands lost the game for the Dodgers. And before these Dodgers fans start coming out of the woodwork and going. Oh, thanks, Amanda. Give him a couple of weeks, all right? He's doing this talk right now like, oh, don't treat me like any other player. Yeah, it is. You should see him. His eyebrows are all. You got Jason Payne, bro. He's awesome. I know. He's a good guy. And here was the other thing. You know, you talk to Rob about it. And I say, Rob, don't you think those Red Sox, you know, was it a deal where they were just tired of his monkey business? You know, they were just tired. And he goes, Mike.
He goes, it's, you know, when you're in a relationship, you know, with a girl and, you know, every month she's going to get a period. And you just know she's great. But every 28 days you're going to have to put up with some kind of garbage that it goes with the relationship. It is. It's once a year. You know, he's going to get a period. Once a year? It's not once a year, Rob. Well, it depends on how the year's going for the socks. But you know what? I figured out what it's like. It's like you break up with this chick that you had a great time. You had a couple of great getaways with her. You went to Sandals. Okay. Sandals. Okay. That sounds nice to me. That's beautiful. What's so funny about that? You went to Sandals. So the bonding there is your best friends. Angel lovers. You got the best of both worlds. Am I painting this picture? Beautifully. It's all inclusive too. Eat and drink as much as you want. You can have grilled cheese for free and everything. The whole time she's telling you you're the only one but there's a look in her eyes like there might be something brewing back there. You eventually break up. Whatever happens, happens. She goes to the next guy and gets engaged within the first...
With the first three days that she's with him, she gets engaged to him. Are you still talking about Manny? Yes. Are you kidding me? He wants to finish his career in L.A.? Like, what was that we had? Was it even real? Yeah. He broke the curse with us. How do you disrespect that? Yeah. Cut your hair. What about sandals? Sandals was great. Okay. Good. There you go. You have memories. That's right. Yeah, and that's it. A photo book full of memories. 570-1053 is our phone number. Call us. I'm glad to be back. 570-1053. Call us. We want to talk to you. We got a great show for you today. We got something called the DCC coming up. The John Chick Challenge is coming up. We're going to do P1 trivia so that somebody can come into the studio on Friday. We got the YouTube clip of the day. We got Lindsay Lohan audio where she's all upset because the police chief in L.A. is calling her gay. Like for real. Like saying she's a homosexual. What else? Tatum O'Neal is finally talking about her arrest. And we got all that info. Plus all the stuff that's happening in the news. That UCSD student. We got an update on that missing UCSD student.
How about the San Diego County Sheriff's deputy accused of the sex crime that tried to kill himself? This just all happened. And when we come back, obviously we want to talk about the San Diego Zoo panda births that happened over the weekend. The only really reason we want to do that is for the jokes that will ensue with Sean. Thank you. So we'll do that right after this. Brian Regan in the stand-up spotlight. Nothing about cars. A friend of mine let me borrow his car recently, and he didn't bother to tell me there was a short in the horn. The thing would honk like every eight seconds for no reason. Just driving along. So I get stuck behind this guy in bumper-to-bumper traffic. How do I explain to him that I'm not trying to honk at him, you know? Just looking around. He didn't want me to think that. So I started pretending like I was listening to some sports thing on the radio, you know? Go, team! Go! Rolling Stone Raid.
Pineapple Express is hardcore hilarious. Seth Rogen and James Franco are comedy dynamite. I already have the munchies for more. Talk life. Pineapple Express opens everywhere Wednesday. It's Wednesday? Yeah. Does that mean I don't have to work from Wednesday to Friday? No, they didn't move the whole weekend. Cool. It's like holiday. Rated R for pervasive language, drug use, sexual references, and violence. Under 17, not a middle without parent. In theaters Wednesday. Creative people have some of the most exciting jobs out there. I picked my nose a lot. Eddie. I once. Chicken. I thought you lost your virginity at like 12. Sean. Good thumbs up. He goes on. 5-3. Our player is good. Welcome back. It's 644. And The Dark Knight was the number one movie again this weekend, making an additional $43.8 million. Oh, boy. Brett Favre is back. He is back in Green Bay. He's been officially reinstated. Should join the team today. Now, I have no idea whether or not he's going to play or practice with the team.
He has to be able to play because he's been officially reinstated. General Manager Ted Thompson is saying they're going to have to figure out some sort of roster adjustment. We're at our 80-man roster limit right now. So once Brett is officially reinstated, which will be, I guess, noon tomorrow, sometime in the afternoon prior to 4 o'clock New York time, we would have to make a roster adjustment. What a wacky story. Oh, it's unreal. It's so weird what's going on there. And I mean, they're dead set on Aaron Rodgers being their quarterback. And my question is, what if Aaron doesn't perform? What if he's not so good? Well, I mean, Eddie, so is OK coming into being a back quarterback? No, of course not. No. No. So when you say, what if he doesn't do well? It's a moot point, right? Because. It doesn't matter because Brett will be starting? Well, no. I mean, well, Jess is telling me that they said last night on NBC that they're going to have an open competition. What? What does that mean? What does that mean? Whoever wins the quarterback job will be the quarterback. Like Vince Papali can come in and shoot off the street. Basically. Open competition means that during the preseason, you know, they'll be playing and the coaches will be sitting there with a notepad going, oh, Brett did that and Aaron did that.
Oh, Brett did that. Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre. Like a head-to-head competition. Who gets the job? I don't believe that's the case. I don't believe that's going to happen. That they're just saying that, but they know. I think that they're going to move forward with Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback, still try and figure out what they're going to do with Brett and have Brett basically, you know what, you get to hold the clipboard. But in Brett's mind, in Brett Favre's mind, he's like, well, I know I'm going to be starting quarterback, so it doesn't matter. In his mind. Oh, no. So if he does end up holding a clipboard, it will be a, not a surprise, a shock to Brett Favre. Well, here, Mike, all you got to do is think of it like this. If Aaron Rodgers goes out there and doesn't do good, what's going to happen in Green Bay? Like, what are the fans going to do with Brett Favre standing right there? Do you not put Brett Favre in? Oh, I see what you're saying. It's going to be anarchy. Well, either way, it's anarchy because if Aaron Rodgers starts, Brett Favre's like, what's going on? Like, really? Yeah. I'm a Hall of Famer. Yeah. The whole thing's wacky. It's totally whacked. 5701053 is our phone number, by the way. It's not births. It's happy birthday to these pandas at the zoo, which, you know, whatever. But see, the thing is that Sean was a panda. I mean, he's aroused.
Right now. Well, the thing is, Sean was a furry. No longer a furry. He's no longer a furry. Part of his life is over. You know what a furry is? I'm not that familiar. I don't know. I think it's some sort of perversion. Maybe you could give a description. That's all I know. It's like sexual deviancy. No, it has nothing to do with sex at all, in fact. It's when grown adults put on outfits. Not just grown adults. Like mascots. Shut up, Eddie. That was such a genuine laugh from Eddie. That was such a genuine laugh. Such a jerk laugh. Jerk laugh? Genuinely tickled the guy.
It's outfits. It's outfits. But Sean's outfit of choice when he would do this as a grown adult was a panda. Oh, whatever. This is a safe place, Eddie. Well, not with a panda running loose. That's a good point. Now, my wonder is now. I don't judge you guys. No, no, no. We don't judge you, bro. And that's a lie. Besides that. That's not a lie. That is a lie. You do judge us. Like every day. Every time. More than anybody in this room. Every time. Mostly your eyes. That's right. Your eyes are the most judgmental. No recollection. What do you think Sean's face looks like when he hears the news that there is panda birthdays and he knows in his head immediately, oh, this is going to come up on the air. I already knew yesterday. That's what his face says. Here's some text messages we're getting.
Mikey, tell Eddie the spring from the pop-up sprinkler is around the blade of the mower. That's probably why I took it off. Oh, that's what it was, though? No, I mean, it was part of it, but it won't start now. Still won't start. Yeah, I took the spring out. Hey, Mikey, you were pretty cool when I said what's up at the Civic Theater last night. You're very down to earth. San Diego is lucky to have the whole crew in this town. P1 Trophy Lounge. She was a nice guy. It's a guy that I met at the coffee place. I was a mess at that coffee stand. I was a complete mess at that coffee stand. Why would you do that? I wanted an iced coffee. And so I said, I'll take an iced coffee. I said, hey, can you get that in decaf? And she said, no, it only comes in one. And I said, okay, fine. And then she really set out to accommodate me. I said, okay. But she was like... But I can, and when she did the but, I thought, oh, there's a long line behind me. Oh, no. And I said, but I can, you know what? Move it along, diva. It's okay, sir. It's okay, ma'am. Just, it's okay, ma'am. Just, no, no, no, no, no. We can. It's just coffee, ma'am. You know what, ma'am? I'll just, I'll just take what you got. No, what we can do is. That's what it was like. So then I get the iced coffee and I want.
To put a Splenda and some half and half. You're so cute. But there's no Splenda. There's only sweet and low and equal. And both give me sugar reaction. I don't know why. Because they're not sugar, but they give me sugar reaction. And so I'm like, you know what? I'm going to spin the roulette wheel. I'm going to see how this goes. Even though I know. I know I'm going to get the sugar reaction. ah, let's see if it'll be different this time. Oh my. So I want to pour some of the coffee out so that I can add the half and half and the Splenda. And when I do, bees come out of the garbage can and it's all over my hands. Oh no. And I go to get the napkins and the napkins are, you know, they're about two inch by two inch napkins. And so I'm trying to sop up. stuff that's going all over the place. Then I go with a half and half and there's one drop left. I'm trying to refill it. I'm a mess. I'm a mess sometimes. Sometimes. Yeah, I guess all the time, right? I remember your steak on Friday night. Oh my goodness. We all went out to dinner on Friday night. Sometimes he's not very graceful. Sometimes he has issues. Oh, this was terrible. I take a picture.
Me and Eddie and Skye and Ashley and Rob were all out to dinner, paid for by this company that was out there. We went to dinner and they brought a steak. Now, when they cook steaks in a whole bunch of batches, because they took like 40 of us out to dinner. They got to cook them in batches. They don't cook them to order. They cook them like in a big pot or something, you know? And so it comes out, the steak, and the steak is kind of hard. Fancy restaurant, though. Yeah. And I put some A1 sauce on the plate. And I'm trying to cut this heart steak. And I'm jerking the knife. And finally the piece flies off with the A1 sauce all dripping all over it. Plop right onto my shirt. Oh, yeah. Splattered. Splattered. And I mean my shirt now. It was a white shirt, too. Yep. Is it really? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, no. It's just drenched in A1 sauce. Blotches of just brown. Yeah. It's as if I got shot and had A1 for blood. Just a mess. Awesome. 570-1053. And our text number. 35253. Text us. Call us. Come on. Let's talk. The Redskins beat the Colts in the Hall of Fame game 30-16. I didn't know. Did you watch it, Eddie? Oh, yeah. Was it fun? Well, it was pretty cool because Colt Brennan, the rookie quarterback in Hawaii, he did really good for Washington. He threw two touchdowns, and he looked like a legitimate quarterback. You know what's cool about that? Is it a...
They said it might be the opposite, you know, because he was in that system and blah, blah, blah. Yeah. But that's cool. I love to hear those guys succeed. It was pretty neat, yeah. Plus, I just really want to see football back on TV. Yeah. Did you watch it in high def today? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Dude, it's so amazing. Yeah! That's cool. Text us or call us with your stuff with bees. Freaks me out. I hate bees. We'll talk about it in just a second. But I said that we were going to mention the Steve Smith story. This would affect fantasy football players, right, Eddie? Yeah, for the first two games of the year. And for Charger fans, they open up the season. against Carolina, and Carolina's going to be without their best player. Why? Because Steve Smith got into a brawl with his teammate, Ken Lucas, who's the cornerback. I guess they started jawing with their helmets off, and Steve Smith smacked him, punched him a couple times, and broke his nose, and they kicked him out, and the punishment came down, and he was suspended for two games. First two games of the year. Dude, I was going to say...
It must have been bad because guys get into fights all the time in camp. Their helmets were off. So that was the bad part. Usually if their helmets are on, they push and shove and grab their face masks. Their helmets were off. It reminded me of, remember back in the day when... The Redskins, it was Michael Westbrook and Steven Davis got into that fist fight. Right. And it was really bad. Did I sound like I knew the story when I said right right now? I was trying. Your eyes gave me the thing like that. Well, I know. You know what I thought you were going to say is I thought you were going to mention when Bill Romanowski broke the eye socket of that guy that he played with. That tight end. Yeah. Right. See? That's what I was doing. Yeah. That's what I was doing. 5701053. Bees. Well, some people are so bad they got to carry around those little EpiPens. There's EpiPens? EpiPen. If you get eaten alive by a bee, some people get really bad reactions to it. Same kind of thing if they eat nuts. You know how they get the allergic reaction? Oh. So they slam themselves with the EpiPen.
It doesn't like, it doesn't like, it's not like propellant or anything. That's not propellant. No, it's not. But they hit themselves with the EpiPen. They push down on the little plunger and it gives them some sort of thing that helps them. Some sort of anti-histomy. Yes. They turn green and they get real big muscles. That's right. Oh. That's right, they do. And they knock helicopters out of the air with their bare hands. Nice. With a pair of cutoffs. P1 Eric? Yeah. What's up, Mikey? What happened to you? Okay, I let my dog outside and he kind of jumped a little fence. He was just a little puppy. And he found a wasp nest. And he started biting at the wasp nest. And I saw him. So I ran out there and I tried to pick up my dog. And the wasp started stinging me and stinging the dog. And my fingers ended up looking like Johnsonville Bratwurst. Dude, just your fingers? Just with my hands and my arms and one of my eyes because I got stung by the eye. Oh, bro. Listen, if that had been me, I would, the thought process would be, man, I'm going to miss that puppy. I'm just being completely honest with you. That's crazy. Does Sky really think that? I would not. You're crazy. That's not true. You guys really believe that that isn't true? I really do. Oh, man. I really, truly do. Listen, it would hurt my heart, but I'd be thinking to myself, uh-oh. Man, I'm not going into a wasp.
I can't even hear that. I would be like, stop. You know, I'd be screaming, but I couldn't go in there and start wasping it up. No way. No way. Am I a puppy? I grabbed him and then I took him to the veterinary. I didn't even go to the hospital first. Maybe I would. Now I'm thinking it through. Was he okay? Yeah, he's fine. It cost me almost $3,000. Oh, man. I dropped that for what? For what? I guess I would. I don't want to, though. Okay, let me ask you this. Yeah, you're right. That's what made me think it as I imagined like a Yelp and I was like, okay, I would. But let me ask you. Was there a moment where you were like, I don't want to do this? No, bees or wasps? Wasp, I'm sorry. Wasp. Is it different getting stung by a bee and a wasp? Oh, yeah. It is. Wasps are much worse. They're worse? I think they can keep going. They can keep stinging you, whereas a bee, it breaks off. Jerks. Really? Yeah, my uncle rescued my sister from a wasp attack. What happened? This was, you know, kind of in the country area, and my sister was messing around with something and found a wasp nest and unleashed on her.
And she was getting stung, and he, like, jumped into it, grabbed her, and dove into, like, a pool. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, he kind of saved her. Text messages we're getting. Mikey, I was at work at the garden center at Target, and a swarm of bees came through, and since I'm the only cashier out there, I couldn't leave the register and run. Are you, uh, hello? It's loyalty. You're crazy, dude. What an employee. I know it. Mikey, I was rock climbing, and about 200. Feet up. My hand stuck in a bee's nest. Oh, so that's good. How do you get it stuck? Honey. Somehow, I didn't get stung. I almost soiled my pants. Lucky me. It's P1 Klein. What are you, Pooh Bear? Like, what are you doing? How did he not get stung? I questioned the validity of that story. Thank you, Mike. Thank you. We're all thinking it. We're all questioning the validity. We're all thinking, liar. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Mikey, I remember when you guys made Boy Blunder go and throw a rock at a hive about four years ago. You did not. Well, hold on. Let us explain. There was a lot of talk about the killer bees being in town. Yeah, the Africanized bees. And so we wanted to see if it was true or not. And so we sent him to a canyon. And didn't we cover him in honey, too? It's a community service, really. Thank you. He didn't get attacked. I think he got stung a couple times, but no big deal. He got stung like three or four times. He survived. Mikey, back in sixth grade, I had a buddy that messed with a hive and got swarmed. There were about seven of us watching him get attacked and pretty much had to swat all the bees off of him while he panicked. in circles. I know people driving by, it looked like we were beating him trying to rescue him. Yeah, my friend got attacked by bees. We were camping and me and him were messing around on this log and he was in front of me and jumped off the end of the log and on the end of the log there was a nest and they attacked him and I didn't know what to do. Yeah. And so I got my, we had our towels because we were going to go swimming. Yeah.
And I just started hitting him with the towel. Yeah, just try and help him. That's what I would have done. And then we just ran. And he got stung over a hundred times. Over a hundred times. It was crazy. Oh, my gosh. I didn't get stung once. That's crazy. You didn't get stung one time. How did it happen like that? I don't know. Just too quick. It's a miracle. Oh, this one's not good. This guy. P1 penguin is not big penguin. P1 big penguin. Not P1 penguin. Big penguin. This is not a good story. So about three or four years ago, my dad is down by our duck pond mowing some grass. He runs over a piece of beehive. The bees go crazy. I wasn't there to see that. I just saw the aftermath. He came up to me and he's like, hey, it feels like there's stuff in the back of my neck. Can you go ahead and take a look what it is? You know, he's just chilling there. No problem with a beer. Just relax. So I go take a look at the back of his neck.
And I see one stinger. I'm like, okay, that's not bad. And I'm, like, looking through his scalp. Two, three, four, five. Eleven stingers on the back of his head and his neck. Why was he so nonchalant? Because he's just, he's been roughed over the years. I mean, he does, like, he does crazy yard work and, you know. He's like a tough guy or something? Yeah, and, like, he just mellowed with it. And he doesn't, he's not allergic to them. So he didn't swell up or anything. That's insane. He just sat there. A lot of cocaine too much. Yeah. Coke? I'll do it. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, Mike. He had just done like 19 lines of cocaine. I don't know if I mentioned that. Yeah. Hey, P1 Jessie. Hello. What did you do? I was driving. This was actually about a couple months ago. I was driving down the 76 right past College Boulevard and I had just left the light and I had all my windows down. And you know those giant swarms of bees? They just travel around. I had my windows down and it flew right through my windows all over me. Oh, that's awful. That happened with me when I was working back in Mass. Really? What happened? I was with my boy Meatball. Oh, boy. Oh, he attracts bees. Yeah. Well, he's a meatball. He attracts all insects. Dude, if you're covered in marinara, what do you expect? Come on, come on.
Come on. Yes. To his credit, he wasn't covered with marinara yet. All right. We're just getting off work and we're coming down like Route 140 or something. It was just ground beef back then. That's right. Lean ground beef. Lean ground beef. 80-20. He was 80-20. He was 80-20 meatball. Not a full meatball. Not a full meatball. So we're driving back and I mean, it's a pretty busy road. You know, it's just a two lane road and I'm smoking a cigarette. He's sitting next to me wearing my work truck and he turns to me with like the look of like death in his eyes. Like he just saw death come at him and he goes, did you just throw your cigarette at me? And I go, no, what are you talking about? And now he's jumping up in the truck and like completely distracted me from driving. hopping around. He goes, dude, you just threw your cigarette. It's burning me. It's going down my back. And I show him my cigarette. And I go, what are you talking about? And I go, I'm still smoking it. So now at this point, dude, he looks like, you know, like the Grim Reaper had just shown his face to him. Scared to death. So I have to pull over. And at this point, now I'm starting to like get the giggles because I'm like, I don't know what's going on.
He jumps out of the truck. He's screaming bees. It's like Tommy boy. And he's trying to like get his shirt off. And it's just one. And it was one hornet. But these things can sting you as many times as they want. That's terrible. So it flew in the window, went down his shirt, got him three times, and then went into his like butt. Yeah. And went down there and got him three more times. And we're on the side of this busy street. And he's out of the truck running around. And I'm just, I'm crying in tears. The hornet's like going, like waving his hand in front of his ear. It was hilarious. Hey, I don't want to take this to a too weird a place. We're all adults here. But our program director, Shauna, went doo-doo one time. There was a bee in it. How many times was this story? It's a true story. How do you tell that on the air? It's a true, because it's a true story. I mean, that's very private. I mean, very private. Well, yeah. I don't know that she would necessarily say. I think that she would be, I hope. Wow. 5701053. How did the beat get there, though? She ate it, I guess. I guess she ate it. 5701053, our text number 35253. Oh, man.
Coming up next, the DCC. Oh, my. Challenge is next. This is where Sky, Ashley, and Boston Rob, the three dumb chicks on the show, will compete in a game of general knowledge. Wouldn't you go ahead and assume I'm disqualified by this point, Mike? It's all right. That's one in over a year. No, you guarantee victory. There it is. Call right now and pick. either Sky or Ashley or Rob to represent you. And if they win, you win. We'll do that next. Also, when we come back, I got to play this for you too. Apparently, Vern Troyer is really upset about his ex-girlfriend releasing their sex tape. He's the guy that played Mini-Me on the Austin Powers movies. Unnecessary. So that, when we come back, don't go away. Yeah, you guys get a lot of calls every morning that people will pick on Sky or Ashley or giving Eddie or Sean. So, man, every one of you are great. Let me tell you, this is cool. And this is one of those deals that I talked to the general manager down at BMW Encinitas about this before I've made this announcement. We talked about this a long time ago when I said, listen, if we do, if I shake hands and BMW Encinitas and I, are working together, there needs to be something that's good for the P1s. And I mean this so genuinely. They're doing something called a red tag event, which is something that I spoke to him about doing. This is what's really cool about the red tag event at BMW Encinitas. It's happening, by the way, now through August 31st. If you go to BMW Encinitas, they're going to have some cars with a red tag on them. They're going to be three, five, and seven series vehicles. The red tag is a price, and that's the price.
It's already been marked down and there's no negotiating because the price is that good. And I mean it. BMW Encinitas. It's so cool, man. This is really, really neat. BMW Encinitas is on Encinitas Boulevard just south of El Camino Real in Encinitas. There's a red tag event going on now through August 31st. So what's your hurry? Did you know that if you slowed down just a little, you'd get better mileage? It's true. If you drove 55 miles per hour on the highway instead of 65 miles per hour, you could go about 30 to 60 more miles on a tank of gas. It's like the story of the tortoise and the hare. You know, slow and steady wins the race. And that also applies to city driving. When you're stopped at a traffic light and it turns green, avoid the jackrabbit start. Don't punch the gas. It's not a race. Just accelerate smoothly and gradually. And let's face it, you'll catch up to those other cars at the next light anyway. So remember, a heavy foot equals a light gas tank.
And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. chief about the call to pit right before the rain. How are you feeling about that call and that argument? Just unbelievable. Bob and I were really arguing. Trying to make a little light of it, but we thought we made the wrong call. I just can't thank all my guys enough, everybody for hanging tough. Everybody at Office Depot. We get it. You have sponsors. Right guard. Yeah. And Tampax. Tampax. I'll get to the Vern Troyer thing later because I think that thing that Sky just said is pretty interesting. And then we'll get to the DCC, the dumb chick challenge. What is up with the police chief of LA? Yeah, this is the weirdest thing I've heard in a while. We have his actual comment. Okay. Police chief William Bratton of Los Angeles. Cut two. We have no intention of participating in today's hearing. It's a total waste of time. We have sufficient laws on the books that we enforce to deal with this issue. If you notice, since Britney started wearing clothes and behaving, Paris is out of town, not bothering anybody anymore, thank God. And evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay. We don't seem to have much of an issue. Is that...
Yeah, he was talking about, you know, discussing new laws at targeting over-aggressive paparazzi. And he was claiming that the paparazzi has chilled out since Britney started wearing clothes, Paris is out of town, and Lindsay Lohan has gone gay. Oh, that's smart. That's not appropriate. No. Please, chief. Isn't that a stand-up comic? No. I beg to differ. And he had some sort of accent there. Oh, that's shocking. He's from somewhere back east. I can't quite place it, though. Yeah, maybe. I don't know. Lindsay was not too happy about said comments. Cut one. You shouldn't get involved in everyone else's business when it comes to their personal life. It's inappropriate. I agree with you, Lindsay Lohan. First time ever. I agree as well. That's the first time. Congratulations. But, yeah. I agree with you. I don't think it's the police chief's job to out someone publicly. It's not. Probably not. I mean, it's like gossip. It's like the National Enquirer. He sounded like Perez Hilton or something. Hey, what do you guys think of this right here? Eddie is pumping his fist at Ashley. I don't need it. I don't want it. I don't agree with it. You agree with it.
I heard you agree with it. I heard you guys are not over it. Can you hear the excitement coming from their mouths? Yeah. Sky is not looking at anybody. She's just kind of browsing through her source materials. I think she's bored and I know why. Yeah, she's yawning. I know why. But what's the point at this stage? She's won now. 119 weeks in a row. Not today, Mike. Yeah. Ashley's guaranteeing victory. It's Ashley's day. Rob, I mean. Who's that? Wait, Ashley doesn't look like she's guaranteeing victory. No, she's not guaranteeing victory. Are you sure she's not? She doesn't look like it. No. Why? She's not. She's not confident. Come on, Mommy. She might. Yeah, Mommy could do good today. You never. Yeah, come on. No, come on. Come on, Mommy. Don't say that, Mommy. Yeah, Mommy's ready to play the Dumb Chick Challenge. Mommy's over it. No, she's not. She's opposite. She's into it.
570-1053 is the number. Mommy's grouchy. Here's the deal. Mommy ate too much, I think, in Denver. Mommy did eat a lot. Hey, listen, are you kidding me? I've never seen anything like that. It takes a village to eat all that. I'm kind of proud, you know? I mean, that was monumental. She ate so much. It's disgusting. Mike, we went to that steak dinner. She ate a full steak dinner, like everything on her plate. She ate a 40-ounce steak. Steak, potatoes, spinach, salad. I didn't know that I ate all the steak. You ate everything, pal. Listen, buddy. Dessert, dessert, everything, Mike. And then leaves like an hour later, goes to McDonald's. That's a true story. It's a true story. It was not an hour later. It was an hour later. And she gets Chicken McNuggets, a McFlurry, and fries. How did she do it? How did she do it? Dude, it was like Kobayashi was there, bro. Yeah, did you dip that stuff in water before you ate it? No, but I did dip the french fries in the McFlurry. You're nuts. You're foul. And we would go to breakfast, you know, and we would all get breakfast, and she'd be picking at our breakfast.
She's like a disposal. She is. Oh, it's so great. Instead of taking your fork and putting your leftovers into the trash, you just scoop it onto Ashley's plate. And then, what you guys don't even know, Saturday we got home from the airport, you know. Mommy ordered herself a large pizza. What the heck? A large? You had that huge sandwich at the airport. How much did Mommy finish? And a side of cheesy bread. And a two liter of diet to even it out. Wow. Mommy ate all but two pieces of the lunch. That's insane. Mommy's hungry, man. Are you dragging your butt on the carpet? Mommy is starting her diet today. You say that every week. Yeah, good luck. Hey, look who's being chosen first. P1AO? What up? You want to select Ashley? Hey, I'm sticking with Ash today. Ash, you better be on your A game because I got your back. Shoot. Yeah, no problem. Now the pressure's on. Hang on, dude. She hasn't won in a year. I can't let my boy down. P1 which doctor? Yes. Who do you want? Sky. You got it. What up? And finally.
P1 Mike, are you there? Yes, sir. B-Rob. Rob is chosen last. Watch this. Well, he hasn't won in a while either. But now that Manny's out of his hair, he's going to dominate. You think Manny Ramirez was bringing him down? All the worries. Sucking the life and the smart right out of him. A lot of stuff going on in my clubhouse. It's crazy. Well, the way that the DCC works is that you try to get the five points. You get one, two, and three point questions. You get to choose. Sounds easy. Yeah. However you want to get the five points is up to you. So I can do all one pointers? Or I can do a two and a three? Or you can do what Sky does. What's that? Every time. I don't understand. The winning combination. Two point, two point, one point. What up? Well, that doesn't seem fun. No. What? Eddie, who starts? Ashley starts today. What's the prize? We got a big pay-per-view this coming weekend. UFC 87. Oh, yeah. George St. Pierre versus John Finch. Who is it? St. Pierre, George St. Pierre versus John Finch. That sounds cool. Yeah. I know George St. Pierre for sure. I know that name. Remember the guy we saw in Anaheim when we went to Anaheim fights? Who fought Diego Sanchez? That guy. He won. Yeah, he's fighting George St. Pierre for the title. He was good. Yeah.
All right. I'm down. Let's start this sucker. Ashley, do you want a one, a two, or a three-point question? Ones are easy, threes are hard. Everybody calm down. I'm freaking out. But I'm freaking out. I'm freaking out. Everybody breathe. I know you're starving. I'm starting a diet today. Good point. Mommy hasn't eaten yet. That's right. Oh, no. What's wrong we're going to have? What's wrong we're going to have? Give mommy a biscuit. I'm mad and crap. I wasn't starting my diet today. It's called the not eat diet. Oh, there you go. Healthy. Not healthy. Well said. Mommy will take a one. You got it. There you go. Hey, Ash, which of the world's oceans named after a country? Come on, you got that. Why is she struggling? Yeah, she's struggling. She's got her head down. She's got her hands over her face like... All right, listen. Think of the ocean. The American ocean. Rob. Canada. There's the Atlantic. There's the Indian. And there's the Arctic. Those are all three of them.
So the question is... Those are all three oceans. There's four. I said four. Rob. What about the chocolate one in Willy Wonka? That was a river, Sean. What about that ocean? So you're asking country or city? Every river runs to an ocean. So it must have gone to a chocolate ocean. Stop it. Stop it. Indian Ocean. That's correct, Ashley. Oh, wow. I mean... What is this, kindergarten? Indian Ocean. I'm still shocked she named all three oceans. There's four. She's on the board. Oh, yeah, there's four. Good job, kid. Don't let him get in your head. Rob, what do you want? You want a one, a two, or a three-pointer? Let's start it off with a three. Why not? He's going strong. Why does he bother? I've been watching Shark Week all weekend. Shark. Give me a shark question. That's going to help? Yeah. Totally. Is it a shark question, Mike? It is. Yes. It is a shark question. There we go. Rob, how old is a town celebrating its sesquintennial? That is not a shark question. That is definitely not a... Hammerhead. Bullshock, Mike. Mako. Ses... S-E-S?
Quinn. Here we go. Q-U-I. He didn't say spell it, bro. Yeah, this ain't the spelling bee. There are hints within the word. Can you use it in a sentence? Rob, how old's a town celebrating its sesquint... ses? Oh, dear. I don't know. Sesquintennial. It's all right, Mike. I don't know. I'm going to guess 500. I don't know. No, Rob. What? It's 150. Well said. We should move on. Sky. Come on, Sky. Do something different here. Hey, I'm not going to lie. The girl's a bit under the weather today. Not 100%. Tell me what. You're okay. I'm okay, Ashley. Everybody's fine. I'm going to take a two, please. She wants a two-pointer. Give this a whirl. I'm going to give this a whirl. Skye, around 1765. I only know about 1842. Okay, 17 what? 1765. Which two English surveyors drew a line separating the southern slave states from the northern free states?
Mike, was it Jesus and Moses? No. Was it the dudes that were going around with Sacagawea? Oh, wow. Talk it out. Talk it out. Was it those guys? I just want to thank them personally for Ramsey. That is. I've seen Night at the Museum, so I should know why. Wow. This is her knowledge. Wow. There it is. I'm guessing Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. Cheech and Chong. Little bit Taylor. Uh-oh, she's got the fingers pressed against the eyes. Remus and the Hamburglar. Oh, I know this. Oh, she knows it. She knows it. Uh-oh. What happened? Well, because I was thinking it was like some fancy names, but then all of a sudden Lewis and Clark dawned on me, and then I was like, ew, those aren't fancy names. Fancy names.
Like something with a Mc something in there. Maybe I'm just thinking of Ashley McFlurry. Could be. Dr. McNugget. Talk about it. I'm going to say Lewis and Clark. That is not right. Sky, that's not right. No, it was Mason and Dixon. The Mason Dixon one. Mason Dixon one. Very off. Very off. Fancy name. That's right. At least I got two real people. Hey, after the first round, guess who's in the league? Ashley. Ashley's in the league. Ashley's in the league. Look at her. She's pumping her fists up and down in a really unrhythmic way. Like a very unrhythmic way. She's got a big smile on her face and her eyes are squinted. That's weird. That just looked weird. Yeah, Mesli Mezzo. We were singing that to her all weekend long. Mesli Mezzo is... Ashley worked at... Tomatina. Some Italian restaurant called Tomatina.
And we described an Arnold Palmer, and she was convinced, no, no, no. That's not called an Arnold Palmer. It's called a mesly mezzo. Mesly mezzo. Because she worked at this place, and that's what they called it. Right. And so Eddie made this dance called mesly mezzo. And she starts to dance when she hears it, like she starts snapping the fingers, and it's totally out of sync and out of rhythm. Somehow she's able to snap her fingers and tap her foot to a different beat. Yes. It's crazy. Than the one you're singing. I get really into it. Yeah. Anyway. What do you want, Ash? I'll take a one. You want a one? I love it. You might know this. Oh, Mike. What tree's leaves make up most of the diet of the koala bear? Smile. No. No, Ash. You might think about it for more than two seconds. Yeah, I want to think about it. I think you should think about it. Yeah, now she wants to think about it. It's the eucalyptus tree. No, it is not. What are you going to do? Rob tried a three-pointer last time. It didn't work. I just got the wrong three-pointer. That's all. Give me another one. Shark Week, ladies and gentlemen. Rolling the dice. What does the A&M stand for in Texas A&M University?
That's a toughie. That is tough. That's why it's a three-pointer. It's a hard question. I think it's agriculture and... It's Ashley and Mike. Agriculture and something else. What could M possibly stand for? Manny. Don't do that. That stung a little bit. It's Arborist and Manny. Arborist, yeah. Oh, yeah. It's Arborist and Manny University. Sounds good. I speak Italian. The answer? Agriculture and multigrains. Oh, man. I think I had that this morning. That sounds lovely. Rob, it's agriculture and mechanical. Ah, yeah. That's right. Should I get a point and a half for that? No.
Sky, are you going to go back to your old... I think they talk about that in National Treasure. I should have known that. I mean, this is how you get your knowledge. Man, you guys. What are you going to do here, Sky? I'd like a two-pointer. You got it. Sky, what's the legal term for a voluntary written statement made under oath? Just... Oh, wait. Oh. She had just a very blank stare. But now... Okay, one more time. He wasn't really listening the first time. I did watch A Few Good Men the other day. And I've seen the Pelican brief. Oh, that was a great one, Rob. No, no, that's not right. I saw the Pelican exhibit. My husband wears briefs. That's true. Got them confused. Sky, what's the legal term for a voluntary written statement made under oath? I think I know. Uh-oh. But I don't know. Okay. For the record, for the record, Ashley's playing with her nails. What? Come on, Mommy. I think it's a deposition. Incorrect, Sky. Affidavit. That's right. Yep.
I'll take the correct one then. I'll go with the second. I was just testing the waters on that first one. My doctor says my lanta. Uh-oh. Ashley's pumping the fists. She's getting herself all fired up. In the lead. Squinting her eyes. Pumping her fists. What are we doing? I'll take a one point. You got it. She wants a one point question. Ashley, what species of bird is defined by its large, pouched bill? Like, this really is going on. This is awesome. She is thinking really hard. I'm freaking out, man. This is not really happening. This is not happening. Every P1, every P1, you're not dreaming right now. No. But you just... Hey. Stop it. Stop it. There are some rules here, sir. There are some rules.
Don't you speak a word. Everybody calm down. Everybody just stop it. Everybody's fine. I'm serious. I'll pull this thing over. I'm pissed. Everybody freak. Mommy's thinking. What does she mean to do? We're fine. Hey, bro. I'm at it. Some decor here, please. Everybody's fine. We're fine. You need to hear the question again. I love it. One more time and I'm ready. But how can she... Hey, shush. You guys are horrible. Ashley? Yes. What species of bird? Mike, this is not real. You shut your mouth. Mike, everyone over the age of six with any kind of intelligence is up in your mouth. This is not going on. Everybody relax. Mike, I'm ready for this. All right, here we go. What species of bird is defined by its large pill? Yeah.
That's the... You want to know which kind of bird it does? That's the pelican. If you had gotten that wrong... I would have caught the cops. What would you have said? What a crazy person long loose. 5150. Whatever. Rob. Ashley is killing it. What's the score? She's in the lead. Look at her, pumping her fifth. And you just show me the paper. It's two to nothing. Ashley's pumping her fifth. Come on. Rob. Two to nothing? Yeah. Okay, I got to take the lead here. Give me a three. Wow. How many times? This is ridiculous. Eddie is with Sharky. There's a bit of Shark question. All right.
It's a history question. I know, and last night I was watching the Battle of Sterling, so hopefully it's about that. You are so boring. Are you ready? Yeah, I am. Is that where silver was won? Rob, George, and Martha Washington are buried on the grounds of their estate in Virginia, which is called what? Oh, he's squinting. A graveyard, Mike. Boom. I know this. I know this. That means he's not going to get it. That means 40 minutes from now, he'll say, can you read the question again? Are there any texts coming in about it? Can we check anything? No, we can't. George and Martha Washington are buried on the grounds of their estate in Virginia, which is called...
What? Rancho Santa Escondido? No. Bob? It's called Mount Vernon. Dang it. I've been there. Sorry, Mr. or Mrs. Washington. Sky? Your strategy is not working. It's a tough one. You need to switch it up. I'm not going to lie. I've been very close on a lot of these questions. What are you doing? I'm taking a two mic. You got it. Hey, all of you. Sky? Yes, my friend. What? planet has the largest moon. Oh, she just threw her hands up. Sat back in her chair as if to say, what is this? What is this? It's better than normal odds, right? One in nine. The moon of Endor? Yes. Is it Endor's moon? I saw Pluto Nash. I didn't, Rob. See, that's the problem. I have not seen it.
It's a good thing. Today is the worst. Sky, you could do this. Earth. Well, it's the only moon day. That is incorrect. No. No. No. It's Jupiter. The moon has the largest moon. The biggest planet in the solar system. Jupiter's got the largest moon. Why is their moon so much better than everybody else's? It's not better. It's bigger. It's three and a half times bigger than Earth's moon. Then why don't we see it, Mike? If I can. Great question. We probably could see it. I could see our moon. With the naked eye. I don't think so. That's a faulty question. It's made out of cheese. Yes. I quit.
Come on, Ashley. You're in the... Oh, look at her pumping her. Not very enthusiastic. It's getting more enthusiastic. There's the fist pumping. And now, Goofy Smile. There we go. You can win the game right now if you wanted to. Wrap it up. You could wrap it up. I'm killing it, Eddie. You could wrap it up with a three. I'm the only one on the board. And you've got three-point questions right before. It's time to spoil the library. That's right. That is true. We have a strategy. I think we won. Thank you. Oh. I got nervous. That could have been bad. All right, here you go, Ash. Dedicated to the protection of the Second Amendment, what does the acronym for the group called the NRA stand for? What's the NRA stand for? She's scratching her face. Is this a one-pointer? Yeah, yeah. Oh, man. What? She's scratching her face. The acronym for NRA. She's like taking the hair off of the side of her face. So you want to know what NRA stands for? That's correct.
National. I love how she sings it. National Polytechnic College of Science. Can we have the question? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, listen for hints. Dedicated to the protection of the Second Amendment. Freedom of something. I love her so much. Keep going, Mike. With the paper. You should just stay hiding. It's probably for the best. Dedicated to the... Protection of the Second Amendment. What's the acronym for the group called the NRA stand for? In other words, Ash, what's the NRA stand for? The National... He's turned away. He's turned away from her. Why is he turning away? Because he can't look at her. She's trying to get a read. Why? He's embarrassed. They hung out this weekend, so he's embarrassed.
That is embarrassing. She's looking at him like for hints. National Republic. Now she just looks at him like, hey, look at me. I need help. Association. What did she say? National what? Republic of America. It is not the National Republic of America. You don't know why. I do. I'm looking at the answer. Because it was really easy. Ash, the NRA is the National Rifle Association. They will take it from my cold, dead hands. You didn't know it was guns. I did, but I'm like, what starts as an R that has to do with guns? It's not a run, it's a gun. It's a rifle. That's what was blocking you. Boston Robert, can you end this thing sometimes? Ashley is in the lead and nobody else has scored a point.
That's a tough one, Mike. This is really bad. Give me a two-point. A two-point question. All right. What's the Japanese name for the long, wide-sleeved robe worn mostly by Japanese women? Is that funny? I don't know. I got a visual. Wait, wait. Read me the question. My mind went to a different spot than it should have. What is the Japanese name for the long... Wide-sleeved robe worn mostly by Japanese women. Got him again. As mine went there again, wherever it went. I don't want to know. It went to jackass mode. All right. Turn it back. Is it a kimono? That's correct, Rob. There we go. Rob's on the board. It's now tied two to two with Ash. Finally. Skye. Rob stole my question. Yeah. Skye likes the two-pointers. I saw the last samurai. Come on. Stop it. Skye, are you going to go away from your strategy? I don't know, Mike. I'm not feeling well. Things aren't going good. I'm the only one that doesn't have any points. Really, really bad. What are you going to do? I'm going to take a three-pointer. Oh, my gosh.
Now what? Now what do you got to say? Make it about movies or something. Big mistake. Movies. Sky. Yeah. Make it about Julia Roberts movies. Yeah. Sky. Snooker. What the? Oh, wow. Snooker is an offshoot of what popular game? Oh, come on. How did I not get this? Snooker is an offshoot. Sky is squinting at Ash. Ash is giving her the hand gesture for what do I care? Snookums, like, you know. Ridiculous is what it is. Stupid. This guy's thinking about it. Hands in the mouth. Are we talking, like, a physical game? Are we talking a video game? A board game? Like, I don't even know. Snookums? What is it? Snooker. Snooker. Is an offshoot of what popular game? They put them in the microwave, right? I keep losing it. What is it? A little miracle whip on a hokey bottle. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker. Snicker.
Oh, I'm sorry. I apologize. Give her a second. She's thinking. Snooker? Yeah. Yes. Yes. Snickers? Yeah. Snooker satisfies the hunger inside me. Shut up. All of you, please. Shut up. Please. Oh, snossages. Skye is over it, man. She's over it. Connect four. Out of all the things. Connect four. Oh, Skye, snookers and offshoot a pool like billiards. Oh, man. She's giving like stink face like somebody just farted. Like, what is... Just disgusted with that answer. You guys are the worst. Ash has got some real confidence in those eyes. Oh, look at that. She is ready. She's ready. Everybody breathe. I was thinking something. Eddie was thinking it too, which can only mean good things. I like it. Give me a three. Whoa. That's for my boy, Ayo.
For the win. Oh, wow. Good luck. Good luck to you, ma'am. Wow. Ashley, primary color, has the shortest name. She just shrunk down in her chair. She's looking at me right now, blankly, shaking her head. Now she's looking at me like, what's the answer? I mean, that sounds too easy. Oh. She's rethinking life. I mean, there's black, white, orange. Green, yellow, blue, red. Clearly, it's...

That sounds rad. But it's like real, like, fancy, crazy cars and stuff. And then I guess the one that's going on this year, you know, I knew it was going to stop in San Francisco. But then I guess, you know, according to P1, it's going to also stop here in San Diego. And then it ends up at the Olympics in China somehow. For real? Yeah. That's rad. I want to see expensive cars. I like expensive cars. They're cool. And I think they look... cool and smell cool and have coolness about them. My brother said that over the weekend he saw a Bugatti Veyron. Well said. It's a million dollar car. It costs one million dollars. Simon Cowell drives one. And so do I. Four of them. Yes. I use them as a litter box for the cats sometimes. When the cats run out of it. You know, if I want to go slumming. Yes. But this thing is 1,001 horsepower. The cars that race every weekend on NASCAR, 700 horsepower. Oh, well, then it's fast. So it's pretty fast. Why do you need that? That's what I'm wondering. I mean, what are you going to do with 1,000 horsepower? What you're going to do with it is get seven miles to the gallon. Okay. Sounds like a blast. And it looks really cool. Yeah.
Let's see. I'm going to give you guys two options. You pick one. All of you. And you can just say it. Just say it. Can we spray it? Say it, don't spray it. Say it, don't spray it. Too late. Cheez-Its or Wheat Thins? Wheat Thins. 100%. Although, you can't deny a good Cheez-It. Yes, you can. I haven't eaten a Cheez-It in probably... Ten years? Come on. Oh, man. Okay, so in that one, Wheat Thins easily dominates cheeses. What about Wheat Thins Triscuit? Wheat Thins. Oh, come on. Really? For real?
You got a lot of problems. It's nice and compact and small and delicious and un-messy. Well, not only that, but a Triscuit's kind of healthy. Yeah. Oh, no. Which is gross. Triscuit's crunchy. I give you, it makes a bit of a mess, but it's crunchy and it's saltier. You know what a Triscuit is like? You know that breakfast cereal? Yes. Oh, I love that. Shredded wheat. Shredded wheat. I eat that as well. That's exactly what it is. I eat that as well. It's like shredded wheat with cheese on it and salami. You guys ready for another one? Chips Ahoy or Nutter Butter? Oh, please. Nutter Butter. No way. Those are gross. You're gross. Eddie's got to think about that. Chocolate chip cookies is good. Chips Ahoy is kind of bottom of the barrel. Nutter Butter is very specific. You've got to be in the mood for the Nutter Butter. What way do you roll if you're going to buy chocolate chip cookies? What's the one? Grandma's? Yeah, Grandma's is good. I said chips ahoy. Grandma's is good, but don't you think Grandma's has that processed flavor. It's got that... It's got that... We don't really know how long it's been in this... It's got that taste. The consensus there was Nutter Butter. Yeah, I would go Nutter Butter. I can't believe we did that.
Cameron Diaz or Sarah Jessica Parker? Cameron Diaz by a mile. Two miles. No way. What? Sean, you go SJP. Seth, what about you? Cameron Diaz. There we go. SJP. Cameron Diaz is a 50-year-old. Sky's really still thinking. She's tore up. Very much so 50-50. Yeah, because they're both 50-50. Like, they're both, I've seen them look like average girls, and I've seen them look super gorgeous. Sarah Jessica's like 20-80, man. No, dude. Are we talking looks only? Sometimes she's beautiful, man. Yeah, what's the question? Are we talking looks only? I'm just saying, hey, listen, it's more fun if I just throw it out there. Okay, so the whole pack. Then it's SJP, please, this season. Yeah, SJP. Come on, or the series. Vandekamp's Pork and Beans or Bush's Baked Beans? Pork and beans all the way. The first time I've answered, but I feel strongly. Pork and beans with cut up weenies in it. Beanie weenie. It's beanie weenie. You take a package of hot dogs. You cut the hot dogs up into the pan of Vandekamp's pork and beans. You got beanie weenie. That's delicious. Consensus there. Bush is baked.
beans. That's the end of playing that today. No, I want to play more. We're going to do a playoff system then. What does that mean? It means we're going back to question number one. Cheez-Its or Goldfish? They're the same name. Yeah, but they're totally different products. I don't want either one. I'll take a Cheez-It. Goldfish are for kids. Goldfish are for little kids and they munch on them. and they get all that slimy cheese stuff all over their face. That was one time. I like goldfish. I prefer the original flavor, the non-cheese. Doritos or Fritos? Doritos. That's a ridiculous question, and you know better. Ranch-flavored Doritos or Fritos? I'll take a Frito then. Me too. Cool ranch all the way. You guys are sick and disgusting. I'm serious.
What did you say? Cool Ranch is for Nazis. That's true. Okay. That's true. Cool Ranch is for Nazis. You're not Nazis. That's what started the war. You like those, guy? Yeah. You like the Cool Ranch? Yes. No way. It doesn't taste like ranch, first of all. No. It doesn't taste cool. No. It tastes extra cool. Is or Ruffles. Ruffles. Ruffles. Ruffles. Ruffles has ridges. Yeah. Duh. Yeah, but you can't have... You're boring. Consensus was Ruffles? Consensus Ruffles? For sure. Ruffles or Pringles? Pringles. You can't eat just one. Pringles is the best. Pringles are great. You can't stop. You want to know something, though? Pringles is like, it's not even a potato. It's like in a different category. It's almost not a potato chip. It's really good. You did? It's going to be good. All right. I don't even know what this is. Oh, you're weird. I know what it is. Fine, I know. You're weird, by the way. Is this one of those things? It's like a biscuit, what she's talking about. How do you not know? Nutter Butter or Milano.
It's one of those biscuits with chocolate. How do you not know a Milano? A Milano. Nutter butter or Milano? You're not American. Well, Milano's like high class. Yeah, it is. It's true. You're all foofy. I've seen those. I always thought I'm not good enough to buy them. No one is, really. That's where the big shirts come from. That's right. Milano. Milano. Okay. Here we get that mint one. Mint Milano. So good. That is good, bro. Freezer. What's up? Ooh. What, what, what? It's like these people that put their cookies in the freezer, you know, like the Girl Scout cookies. What about your Charleston Chew? Would you put that in the freezer? I don't know. Famous Amos or Chips Ahoy? Wow, you're missing out. Oh, Famous Amos. I love Face them. We eat those all the time. I can't think of what that is. I don't know if I've had one. It's in a box. What is it? Famous Amos. What is it? Is it chocolate chips? Yeah, they're mini little chocolates. Oh, I don't want that. They're good. They're perfect. Real good. Put them in a bag's lunch.
Send it off to school. I object to. Hold on. You don't even know. I'm not down. I don't care. I don't like that. I think we do have them. So good. We have them. I don't want any of your miniature cookies. Do you have money? Twix or Snickers? I'm in shock. Twix. Twix or Snickers? Hold on a second. This is a toughie. If I'm looking for a meal, then the Snickers will work. Or am I just looking for a quick little crunch? If I just want a candy bar, I love the Twix. No way. I will never buy Twix. Twix is delish. Here's my issue with Twix. You know what? I might do it that way. Cookie caramel. Chocolate. First of all, there's something about the Twix chocolate that instantly gets all over your fingers. As soon as it touches human contact, it melts into like chocolate milk. No. As soon as you touch a Twix. No. It melts all over your face. Take half the wrapper off. You work with it. Oh, I thought that's what we were talking about. Twix, you said. Twix or Kit Kat. I got it.
Twix or Kit Kat? I had him confused. Twix or Kit Kat? How did you know he was thinking of a Kit Kat? He's a clown. 25 years with this guy. Wow. What are we talking? Twix or Kit Kat? That's the issue on the table. Twix or Kit Kat? So Snickers is out of it. Wow, this is a stick of turn. Now I know what Twix is, and I'm down with Twix. It's the Kit Kat I'm out on. I gotta go to Kit Kat. You eat it in Rochester in January. Is that where you can do it? It's the only way. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups or Reese's Pieces? Pieces. Well, what is it, Skye? It melts in your mouth, not in your pants. Reese's peanut butter cups are the best, but you don't chew them. You let them dissolve in your mouth. You're a crazy man. I'm not. It's the way you do it. Never. It tastes so better that way. Pieces. Pieces. Crunchy or puffed Cheetos? Oh, crunchy. Crunchy all the way. Pussed. Garbage. Who the heck? You're like the generic one.
The Vons. Oh, you puffed. No. Cheesy puffs. Cheesy poofs. No. Cheesy poofs. Was he not able to find Famous Amos? Yeah, what's your problem? Mikey Show. You need to go to the store, bro. Hello? Hello? This is P1 Georgie. Go ahead. I got a question. I got one for you. Go ahead. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups or Reese's Pieces? Well, we just did that. We just did it. We just did it. You're in delay. We're delayed four years today. Smooth, smooth. Oh, no, I got it. I got it. Jiffy, Jiff or Skippy? Skippy. Skippy. Crunchy or creamy? Crunchy. Creamy. I go back and forth, Mike. You do? Yeah. What do you mean? Why are you being difficult? What do you mean? How does it? Let's do this. Let's do this. I'll take you all off. You're either. You're either. I go back and forth. How? Because there'll be times. You know how much peanut butter and jelly I eat on a daily basis? Every day he has one. I love it. So I'll eat it and I'll get kind of bored of the crunchy and I'll go to the creamy and I'm like, oh, hello. Hello, mistress. And then I'll get bored of that one and then I'll switch back to the crunching and I'm like, whoa. Party in my mouth. Hello. Mikey show.
I got one for Skye. Go ahead. Costco ham or honey baked? She already decided that. She decided Costco. It was a faulty study. It was not scientific. And I will choose honey baked. It was not a faulty study. It was a real study where we gave her Costco. We did not have an adequate sample size. It was a blind taste test. And she chose Costco ham over honey baked ham. That was a long time ago, though. That was a lie. There was trickery. I know it. I was blind. The pellet is more advanced now. P1 Brian. Yeah, what about red blinds or Twizzlers? Red Vines or Twizzlers? That's a joke. Red Vines is the only way to go. Yeah, Red Vines. Twizzlers is like strawberry. It's true. Yeah, they're good. Don't get me wrong. They're not good. They're good. They're good if you bite the ends off and drink your Coke through it. I'd rather eat my own pubes. Come on. You're telling me, Eddie, that you won't bite the end off of Twizzler and drink something through it? Wow. I don't even know what you're talking about. Come on. Speak English, man. P1 Drew is on the line.
Hey, how's it going, guys? Good. I was wondering if you guys prefer the whipped cream in the bottle or the tub. Here we go. So, wait, you're talking Cool Whip or... Shaking the can and going... Well, there's nothing like... Cool Whip. Shaking that can. I love it. Taking a little out from your mouth. Yeah. No, you're talking about a nitrous hit is what you're referring to. It's called the Whip It. Okay. And then... And it also depends on what you're eating. If it's a sundae, you got to use the whipped cream. If you're eating pie, it's Cool Whip. That is correct. Thank you. That is correct. Thank you. There is no way that you would do opposite. No. You would not put Cool Whip on a sundae. Mike, can you imagine this? Oh, no. My aunt, by the way, I won't say who because it's disgusting, will use the can on a pumpkin pie. This is it. And Carmen. Yes. I knew it. It's disgusting. I wasn't going to say. I knew it was. He knows. I knew it was her. It's filthy. Every time I see it, I go, come on, what are we, living in a trailer? Stop it. On the opposite end, can you imagine sitting down, Thanksgiving dinner, you get the pumpkin pie, and you get, like, the whipped cream? No, you put Cool Whip on it. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. She would use the can on the pumpkin pie. Well, it's to throw your whole world in a tizzy. Cool Whip.
has just released a can. Why? Wow. That's great. I was wondering the same thing. That's not right. Idiot. Wow. That's plain stupidity. Yeah, think about it. Did Zeth go get famous and he goes and gets this old black guy playing harmonica downtown. He's like, you said it was famous. It is the Mikey Show. Yeah, I love the Mikey Show. You know what? Fire crews blocking the slow lane still as they clean up after an earlier brush fire there. Just past La Costa, you're slow from Palomar Airport. And check out the 15 drive into Escondido, a little slow there from Felicita up to the 78. You got a crash at the connector ramp to the 78, blocking the right lane, just right at the beginning of that ramp. Southbound side of the 15, also busy, still out of Escondido. And the North 805, as you get into Kearney Mesa, it slows from Balboa up to Governor. Checking your border weight, it's about 1 hour 40 at San Ysidro, 35 minutes, Otay Mesa. I'm Mike Hancock with traffic for Rock 105.3. He went to sleep train and got himself all dialed in. What'd you get, Eddie? I got one of them Seelies. Nice. Great. I love it. It kind of forms to your body, which I didn't realize.
You find a comfortable spot, you're good. Oh, dude. And Sleep Train is so cool that we bought a new bedroom set. Yeah. And the frame of the bedroom set is real high. Yeah. And so when you put the box spring and the mattress on there, it was like gigantic. Yeah. So the way the furniture set is set up, that it doesn't need a box spring. Right. So we just had the mattress laid in there. I'm like, well, now what am I going to do with this box spring? Right. I called up Sleep Train and said, hey, listen. I don't need the box spring anymore. What do I do with this thing? And they're like, oh, we'll come out, we'll pick it up, and we'll give you a credit for it. Dude, you guys are amazing. And they did? Yeah, they're going to pick it up tomorrow. Dude, that's awesome. Listen, there's no other place to go other than Sleep Train. You heard Eddie. I sleep on one. So go into a Sleep Train. Actress Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. BJ Singh wins for the first time this year, winning the Bridgestone Invitational. This is a current-day band called Disciple, but they do this style of music that's very 80s that I love. You know, like silk, button-down shirt blowing open to show, you know, like the hairy chest. Yeah, it's only buttons. at one point at the Mabel. Exactly. Just there. You know, white leather pants. It's so funny, man. My mother-in-law, we were going to see Phantom of the Opera last night, said that her favorite time seeing Jesus Christ Superstar was when Sebastian Bach played Christ. And I was like, I'd forgotten about that. And so I went on YouTube instantly on iPhone.
And looked at it. It's just so funny because he didn't have to do anything. He just kept his hair all, you know, skid row. And he's got tattoos, which, you know, they couldn't do much about. Jesus didn't really have the tattoos and everything that said like skid row. That we know of. That we know of. But what a voice on that dude. That Sebastian Bach can sing, man. Sebastian Bach or Chris Cornell? I would have to take Chris Cornell. Me too. But it's tough. I mean, as vocalists, I mean, you got to see what happens is we instantly put the cheese factor of Sebastian Bach in there and we want to instantly cancel him out. But you got to think of like actual talent. Like the guy's so talented. It's disgusting. He is. He's talented. I still take Chris Cornell. Chris Cornell is, I think he may be the best singer, male singer ever. Ever. How dare you. How would you say that with a straight face? Please. What do you mean? You're the worst. What? I got to read you this email we got. Mikey, I want to tell you about a story that happened to me last weekend during Comic-Con. I was there all four days and had a great time until I met Samuel L. Jackson. He was there and I was so excited to meet him. I went up to him and was telling him how much I loved his movies and how great he was in Malcolm X. That's when he informed me that he wasn't in Malcolm X and that it was Denzel Washington. Oh, yes.
My stomach dropped. I couldn't believe I did that. I felt like such an idiot. And all the apologizing didn't make any difference. I was humiliated. I felt like such an idiot. Hope you enjoyed my embarrassing story. Signed, P1 Beck. Anybody ever meet a celebrity that didn't go the way you wanted? And I'm not just talking about T-Rex meeting Troy Aikman in the toilet. You know, there is T-Rex. He does his business at the urinal and then walks over to Troy Aikman and puts his hand out to shake his hand. That's so gross. Yeah. And Troy Aikman is such a gentleman. He shook his hand. Wow. No. That's not smart. I don't like that. Any of you guys meet a celebrity? Didn't quite go. Oh, yeah. Uh-oh. I had a couple, actually. Ooh, what? One time I was interviewing Marie Osmond. Yeah. And I made a joke about her dolls. Oh, no, you didn't. And she got legitimately pissed off at me. Well, dude, doesn't she sell those on QVC or whatever? And like Donnie, it was both Donnie and Marie. And Donnie like had to step in because she was so mad. She really got upset. She got really mad. And it was like... Were you just having a good time? Yeah, I said I collect dolls too. You know, they're voodoo dolls, but you know. And like she was like so angry.
That's not so bad. That's funny, man. That is cute. I collect dolls, too. Oh, really? You do? Yeah, they're voodoo dolls. Voodoo dolls. That's funny. Give me a break. Come on. Why so serious? Why so serious? And then you were with me the other time. We were hanging out at a Metallica special show right before Santa Hinger came out. Oh, my goodness. This was awful. This was awful. Okay, you don't need to say it. It was so... This was not like the Marie story. No. This was different. So we were in this like VIP area. It was really cool. And James Hetfield rolls in. And we're like, holy cow, there's James Hetfield. And Mikey, you know, he knew Lars really well and kind of knew James from interviewing him and stuff. And went over there and started talking to him. And then he brought me over. He's like, hey, dude, you know, you want to meet James Hetfield? And I'm like, yeah, sure. So I go up to him. And we're talking like the three of us are talking and I make some joke. Yeah. You know me. I made some joke. And it was it was like not even a bad joke. It was just a normal like sarcastic kind of comment. And he took it seriously and started answering it seriously and getting kind of pissed. Yeah. And I look at Mike. It was so uncomfortable. Mike did one of those like you're on your own bro. It was so uncomfortable. And then he had to and then Mike tried to like explain to James.
Like that I was kidding. Right. And it just got worse and worse and worse. And I'm like, get me out of here. And it was kind of loud. You know, it was kind of loud there. And so Hetfield's kind of shouting this to Eddie. He's like, actually, no, that's actually not the deal. And Eddie's like, I don't. I was so uncomfortable. It was bad. P1. Let me out. Let me out of here. Get me the hell out of here. P1 Mari is on the line. Hi, Mari. Hello. How are you doing, Mike? Good. I have a funny story with meeting a celebrity. Who did you meet? Mark Hamill. Luke Skywalker. So lucky. That was the funny part, though. When I was at Comic-Con, he was walking by to do an interview with G4. And I told my sister, I was like, look, that's Mark Hamill. And we were like maybe two, three people behind him. And she, like, at the top of her lungs, she turns around and she says, who the heck is that? Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. You punch her in the face. Seriously. And then Mark Hamill turns around, sees my boyfriend with, like, 6'3", the tallest one. He couldn't even see us. Like, waves at him and just keeps walking. Oh, wow. I was like, I hate you. Awkward. That is brutal. It's really awkward. Yeah. 5701053.
meeting a celebrity moment yeah well i had my whole thing with ted nugent which was that goes beyond yeah because that's a relationship sky but it's so weird because it's kind of like a backwards thing like we started off screaming and yelling and i mean he called me the c-word and and the whole thing i mean i'm calling him names he's calling me names we're arguing about hunting and whatever And then he had a show that night in San Jose, which of course I didn't go to because all day long we were screaming at each other, calling each other names. And I guess at the show, he went up to all the workers at the station and was like, where's Skye? Where's Skye? I want, you know, I brought Skye a present. And they're like, yeah, I don't think she's coming. And so he left me this like handwritten note and a guitar pick. He did. That was weird. They, listen. We have quite a relationship. Yeah, the thing with Skye and Nugent. Yeah. Is a relationship. It's not like a weird encounter. Yeah. Because it was more like there was Sky versus Ted Nugent one and two. There may have been one, two, and three. But he knows her. I mean, if you were to walk up to Ted Nugent today and say, hey, Ted, you know who Sky is? He'd finish the sentence before you got there. You know, Sky. Weird. They don't agree politically. No, we're not.
not very friendly. But they're close on some issues. Well, we are? Very close. I didn't think so. They totally agree on the war and eating meat and catching it yourself. They agree on gun control. No, we do not. Meaning none. That's right. P1 intern, are you there? Yes, I'm here. Who did you bump into? Okay, I was in Las Vegas, and I was at the premiere opening of Planet Hollywood, and Bruce Willis was performing with his band. Wow. And I ran into him after hours at this, like, VIP bar, and I could see him there with a bunch of other celebrities, and he walked out, like, stumbled out and bumped into me, like, really hard, and turns and looks at me and doesn't say anything. I'm expecting, like, excuse me. And so I say to him... Oh, I'm sorry. I was like, oh, I understand if you're nervous to talk to me. I'm kind of a big deal, like, as a joke, you know? Yeah. And he just snaps his fingers, and his bodyguards come up and pull me out of the VIP area and kick me out for the entire night. Whoa. He did it? Wait, wait, wait. So he did it by snapping his fingers? That's crazy. Well, and it sounds like you were being, like, so cool. Like, you were trying to make his bad into, like, a joke. Right.
Exactly. I've met a ton of celebrities. I used to be a VIP, like work at a hotel. I was just totally being nice and he was the rudest guy I've ever met. Wow. He had been drinking? Oh, yeah. Maybe that was it. He was, you know. Maybe if she met him now sober, it'd be a different situation. Maybe. I've had an issue with Scott Weiland and the Stone Temple Pilots. Oh, yes, you did. A couple times. So there's Scott Weiland one and two. Yeah. Last time we spoke, he hung up on me. Okay. That's true. I had a bad run in with Carmen Electra. Oh, no. Oh, that was nuts. Uh, she hung up on me. Oh, no. Her too, huh? Had a bad run in with Nicole Richie. Nicole Richie. Nicole Richie. She hung up on me. Oh, shoot. That is weird. Uh, Should check these bomb lines. Yes, I'm on the phone. Okay. We having a bad run-ins with anybody else? Billy Bush. I don't have an evening. Bad run-in with Billy Bush. Take a breath, Mikey. Yeah, was that on the phone? You take a breath. Yes, I'm on the phone. I think that's the last person I ever had a bad run-in. P1 Ronnie. Yes, sir? He bumped into the father from ALF.
Oh, wow. I love that guy. Okay. Yeah, so I ran into the father from Alp. I was eating breakfast with my mom as a kid, and obviously you see the father from Alp, and you know, you freak out. I started staring at him. He looked over at me and said, could you stop staring at me? What are you looking at? It was a weird situation. I remember my mom said something to him. Kind of don't remember, but... Just a weird situation. You know, as a kid, you're like, whoa, the dad from Alpha, and then he's like, can you stop staring or stop staring at me or something like that? Weird. Kind of ruined Alpha on me. Thank you. I bet. Alpha's over for you at that point. It's not fun anymore. Nope. Let's see. P1 Jeff. That's actually Chuck. P1 Chuck. P1 Chuck. Close. Chuck is very close to Jeff. Yep. One of the same. Jeff, but I meant to say Chuck. The letters are interchangeable. Go ahead, Jeff. It's pretty funny. Last year, down here in San Diego, my band got the opportunity to open up for Godsmack, and we were allowed to bring in a couple of our buddies backstage. How old are you? 24. And your dad opened up for Godsmack?
No, no, my band. Oh, your band. I thought you said my dad opened up for Godsmack. I was like, well, your dad's cool. My grandpa, that would have been funny. Your band opened up for him. Okay, go ahead. So we had a couple of our buddies in backstage, and right after the show was over, a couple of the guys from Godsmack walked in, and my buddy had just let one loose. Right, right. And it was the gnarliest thing you would ever smell in your entire life. Right. Those two guys walked in and the looks on their faces when they walked in that room was snow that were priced. I thought they were going to pass out. Now, that wasn't necessarily a bad encounter with them. It was a bad encounter for those guys. It was very uncomfortable because you could tell they wanted to turn around and walk right back. It sounds like they should be calling in. Yes, yes. Goss Mac should call in. Okay, you know what else I would want to hear? Have you had a really awesome experience? I wouldn't mind hearing that. Who have you met that was really cool? To me, Tyler Florence, out of everybody I've ever met, he was like the nicest, coolest dude. Yeah. So we'll take both. You meet somebody and they were super cool, like exceeded your expectations in terms of how cool they were. I wouldn't mind hearing that too. I'll be loving you long time. That's what this song is. I'll be loving you long time. Yeah, dude, you know what this is? What is it, Rob? Listen to it for a second and take a guess. Tell if you're right.
Mariah Carey? This is the new one. From Mariah Carey? Yeah. I'm telling you. I saw her on some... Oh, Jimmy Kimmel when we were in Denver. She's pretty, man. Duh. She looks great. How old is Mariah Carey? She's like 30. She's 39. She's just turned 52, I think. This girl has stood the test of time. Oh, for goodness sake. Hello? Who's the man? Uh, Mikey. Hello? I've never called in before, but I love your show, and you guys rock. Oh, that's awesome. Welcome to WAMU, Mrs. Gillespie. Expenses rising, butterfly stomach. To improve mileage, come by Chevron and fill up with air. That's right, air. When was the last time you checked the air pressure in your tires? Can't remember? Then it's definitely been too long. Did you know even tires in good shape can lose about one pound of pressure a month? And underinflated tires make your engine work harder, lowering your mileage. But don't overinflate them. You can usually find the recommended tire pressure on a sticker located on the driver's side door jamb. And speaking of air, air conditioning is not so hot for your car's mileage either. Whenever you turn it on, it puts an added strain on your engine. Now, at highway speeds, it's probably better to use the A.C. rather than roll down the windows because of the aerodynamics. But around town, enjoy the fresh air. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting ChevronWithTecron.com. Shake it up. You know how when you go out of the office for vacation or whatever, you can send that bounce back that says, hey, I'm out of the office until such and such date. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. So what you should do is... It's come to that. You should put a bounce back on it saying if you do not get a response in a timely manner... Zeth's a jerk. Please email Zeth directly and then, you know, his mailbox will be awful. Let me explain to listeners. High five? No. No. Oh, my bad. First of all, there's probably 1,500 emails in my... I mean, that's a real number. That's not a... I think that was the number last week. It was at 1,500, right, Zeth? This guy's trying to high five Zeth right now. No? Okay. Maybe next time. Fire him. No. Have you heard what Eddie suggested, Mike? No, Eddie. What do you think I should do? Fire him. You know how many hundreds, hundreds of people out there would give
It's true. Anything. What she's saying. Anything. To have the honor. Zeth right now. To do what you're asking of Zeth. Such a meek chore. It is. Well, I don't know if that was the right word. But just to be able to be here and do that. Yeah, it worked better. She's looking for an M word. Give their right arm. Shy and meek. It's just. I mean, he is very meek, but I don't know. He is meek. The task at hand was meek. But what she's saying is true. It's sad, though, because, I mean, when I was in his place in my radio career, four years back, four years back, man, I mean, I did that kind of stuff. When you spun records. With a big smile on my face. When she was editing on Real to Real. I was grateful just to be there. Back when there were CDs. That's right. Seth took his headphones off so he doesn't hear. He's like too cool for school. You just keep talking about how you're ready for an endorsement, Seth. Talk about that. I'm glad you didn't hear that one. Put Mike's emails on the back burner and you just keep whining about how she had an endorsement. At the same time, though. It's mean. She's like...
She just lifted her coffee cup and said to you. You're a winner. Come on, that's too much. She's left her evil side now. We can't really blame it on Zeth because we saw the punishment that Rob got when he didn't do that. I think we're setting a precedent here. Seriously. No punishment. Everyone can do whatever they want. Rob's the one that should have gotten it. And it was horrendous. The punishment I endured from him. Let me tell you where Mr. Nice Guy has gotten me now. This morning, turn his mic off. You know how he puts those music beds to come in and out? He knows after I play one. Give me a new one. And you guys have heard me nicely when he doesn't do it all the time. You guys have heard me nicely. Hit the button in his studio and go, Rob. This is how I do it, P1s. So, you know, I'm going to pull the curtain back. This is exactly what it sounds like. This is the way I do it. I go, Rob, you got to keep those beds moving for me, bro. You got to keep those beds moving. And Rob goes, that's exactly the way it goes. Am I back on? Oh, hey, here I am. Old me, old me would have hit the talkback button and cursed at him, cursed at him.
And said, you know, get those. And it would have been done. But I don't do that anymore. Now he comes in here this morning. And I go. And he hadn't changed any of them. And I go, Rob, come on, dude, with this. And he looked at me like he was ready to punch me. And he goes. And he's thinking. You can tell he's trying to think of a reason. To, like, make it seem that I'm a jerk. And he goes. I changed that one. No, I asked if you had played the one. Which I had. Right corner. Which I had. And so finally, he realizes there's nothing else. He goes, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. He's so put out. And he's walking out of here. I go, man, you got some lip on you. He goes, hey, I'm having a bad. Leave me alone. No, no, no. Hold on. Fire him. Fire him. Fire him both. Two for one special. Get rid of Eddie while you're at it. I thought we were just telling people to fire. I thought we were just suggesting people to fire. If I go, Mike comes with me. We'll start a new show. Mike's going to fire you. You better believe it. Eddie and Sky and that's it. They're the only people that do their jobs around this place.
You thought we were just screaming on our wish list. Can anybody lend me 50 bucks? Eddie's done. Eddie's done. Hey, listen. If there are any email answering specialists in the audience, we need a specialist. I'm giving that kid a promotion. I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding. Tomorrow, P1s are going to hear because I'm going to tell everybody on the air. That's how they learn, Mike. Well, I'm going to tell everybody after the show. I'm going to tell the whole show. And then I'm going to tell everybody on the air. Yeah, this is a trick. Just mess everything up and don't do it. Before you give them a promotion, fire them. Oh, that's a good idea. That's what happened with Rick, right? That's how it goes. Who's Rick? What's his name? Blunder? Oh, Gravy Beard. Gravy Beard? Blunder.
Boy phooey. Boy phooey. What do I not know about this? Gravy fish. Gravy fish. Gravy fish. Gravy fish. Gravy fish. I love that Ben and Jerry's flavor. So good. Really delicious. Anyway, back to anybody that will answer my emails. I think Seth's doing it right now. I get an extraordinary amount of emails and I tell Seth, this is what the thing is. I don't want to say what we filter them by. I don't want to say what we have. How many do we have? It doesn't tell me the exact number right now, but I can do the math. How many? It's going to take me a second. All right. But he knows what to filter. Yes. What to filter fish. To filter fish. And he knows that he can answer most, because a lot of the emails are just like real simple questions. Yeah, like what was that song you came into or what's the number for AIS? Yeah. But some of the emails are very, from listeners. I put them in a category I like to call urgent. Urgent care. And they're going unanswered. Or it's like four o'clock on a Friday and somebody instant messages me at home and goes, hey, are you going to Omar's going away party? And I go, Omar's going away? And then the next Monday I see Rob and I'm like, hey, did we get an email?
Oh, you wanted that? Oh, yeah, dude. Omar's going away. He's gone. Yeah, so if you want to have a goodbye party to him, it happened last Friday. You could be pen pals, though. Yeah, just get the DeLorean up to 88 miles an hour. How many is that? 1,750 emails. I want to throw up right now. 750 emails in charge of that. No way. What if Eddie? Eddie, what? I gave up on Zeth like six months ago, bro. What if I made her their supervisor? What if I made her their supervisor? Somebody would get hurt. He'd be in urgent care. He'd be in urgent care. He'd be, if there was like an emotional urgent care. What's a P1? P1 is someone that turns down their radio, they get to the point, they don't cuss, and they listen to the Mikey Show exclusively. That is correct. Because he's thinking

Mike Hancock with traffic on Rock 105.3. Casting from the Cricut Wireless Studios. This is the home of The Mikey Show. K-I-O-Z. San Diego. The Mikey Show continues. Featuring the very cool Mikey. I am not cool. Eddie. I cannot be touched when I'm sleeping. I am a massage whore, as we all know. Sean. Lately, I've been really obsessed with... Cleaning in between my fingers. Boston Rob. I mean, like, we're supposed to just go on like everything's normal. I'll say it. I'll tell. You should. It's 917. Mm-hmm. Oh.
Batman The Dark Knight was the number one movie again this weekend, making an additional $43.8 million. Brett Favre is back. He's in Green Bay and was reinstated by the NFL. Sean, you heard, right? Just everyone hold on to your seats. What is going on? Barely. I don't even know what the moment is. I missed it all. Okay, this is a guy thing. This is for guys, all right? Now, some guys, Eddie's a guy's guy, and this will never be Eddie, and I understand. He's a guy's guy. Me, I'm very Metro. So I have toiletries, okay? Guy toiletries, guy stuff. I go to this website, groominglounge.com. You go there right now, groominglounge.com. And they sell guy stuff, all guy products, okay? My brother, Steve, turned me on to this stuff called Bala Powder, B-A-L-L-A. And it's powder for the boys. It keeps you dry. Ha, ha, ha.
It keeps you fresh. It could be the hottest 145 degree, 100% humidity day. You are dry and fresh. No way, Jose. And it's the greatest feeling ever. Sounds awesome. Oh, it's great. It's fantastic. It takes brass balls. I get where Eddie's coming from. Eddie's like, who even, who cares? Like, what do you even, like, come on. But that's not even what I was going to tell you. That stuff is great, that ball of power. That's child's play. That's child's play compared to what I'm about to tell you. I'm telling something on the radio right now I've not shared with my wife. So I'm going through the website, and as you can see, are you guys on Grooming Lounge? Did anybody go to Grooming Lounge? You went there, Rob? Oh, wait. What? Yeah, I'm there. You can look up. Okay, yeah, yeah. Rob's got it right now. Do you see Rob clicked on embarrassing issues? Yeah. Seriously. That's what it is. Embarrassing issues. Now, when you go there, they give you these categories. Hair, oral care, odor, acne, and skin care. Click on odor. No, no, no, no. Listen. Listen to me. I don't have odor issues. In fact, I am the freshest, cleanest guy in the world.
Click on Ritual Nature Calls, $9 a bottle. I don't want to. Ritual Nature Calls, $9 a bottle. This is the craziest thing in the world. It says just two drops in the toilet water prior to doing your business obliterates all odor. This truly revolutionary plant extract derived solution doesn't just cover up. It eradicates with extreme prejudice. That is ridiculous. Bye-bye courtesy flush. Now, I read that and I'm like, I got to see what this is all about. Dude. Shut up. Stop. This is creeping me out. It's easy. That is awesome. How is it possible? You know what it smells like? Like almost eucalyptus or mint. Like a strong eucalyptus. Like clean. Well, that's what mine smells like. If nothing else, it's a great conversation starter. At the dinner table? No, anywhere. Somebody will go in your bathroom and go, what is this? You put two drops in prior to. So you leave it out for your guests? Absolutely. But dude, the bottle is this big. I'm holding my hand up and I'm showing you about three, four inches. You could carry it in your pocket.
You could go over to your girlfriend's house on a first... You could go over to a girl's house on your first date. Oh, my gosh, Mike. And you could feel free because I'm telling you, it's like... It's like magic. It's like David Copperfield. Does it come in other flavors? It only comes in this one. Chocolate or... That is awesome. But I'm telling you, it's the craziest thing. That's genius. I can't believe it. I know it. Oh, Mike. Wow. That's the worst thing I've ever heard. Well, I don't need anything like that. Yes, I mean. What? I mean, I practically need one to create. Does it come in the scent of money? Preferably hundreds. Well, that's what I wipe with. It's the greatest thing in the world. That is so weird. It is super weird. And it works. Mikey Show. Morning. What's up? What's up, dude? What you guys are talking about right now, dude? I've been on that thing for months now. On the grooming lounge? No, the drops in the toilet. Oh, the drops, nature calls, ritual nature calls. So you've used it? I've used it. I tell people, hey, if you're going to drop bombs in my bathroom, bro, use that. Use the nature calls. Dude, how did you hear about it? I got it in a floral shop, an alcohol. Really?
In a floral shop and alcohol. What a strange place to sell it. Hey, dude, it works, right? It's insane. It's like a magic trick. I don't know what they put in that stuff, but it works. Nothing. I'm talking nothing. That's uncomfortable. Speaking of Scott Weiland, he stumbled through a STP show in Arizona. Yeah. So it begins. Yes, yes. Has it ever really ended? No. So this one was on Tuesday night in Phoenix, and I guess Scott Weiland was ranting incoherently between songs, forgot lyrics to songs, and at one point actually fell, like stumbled backwards, and fell into the drum kit. Come on. Yeah.
Of course, you know, there's video footage making its way around. But they say, you know, between songs, he would start rambling incoherently and talking about things like Velvet Revolver. On the mic? Yeah, yeah. And so the rest of the group, you know, was trying to get him to shut up so they would start playing the songs. Just to hopefully get him to start singing and to stop rambling. They say they did that several times to cut off his comments between songs, but it doesn't say if they were successful with that. Listen, I can't imagine that the guys in Stone Temple Pilots even discuss it after the show anymore. No. In the old days, it'd be like, dude, what is up? Or maybe a fight with Scott, or they get together. you know, without Scott and they go, what do we, now? It's like, the show's over. Well, they don't have any, any careers without him. So it's like, well, do we go back to just twiddling our thumbs like we were doing? Yeah. Or do we just put up with it? I guess we just put up with it. The truth is, that's the truth. The truth is, is that without Scott, they haven't done it. Now they had a, they had a band without Scott Weiland. It was Stone Temple Pilots.
But they got a new lead singer and they changed the name to Talk Show. And I actually really dug it. The lead singer was the brother of a sales guy that used to work here. That's right. And I actually really liked Talk Show. And they didn't make it. Let's see if we have it. No. We do not have it? Talk Show. Nope, we have Talk Talk. Oh, Talk Talk, yeah. Oh, Sean, talk about it. Yeah, talk about that. Let's talk talk. I can't believe we don't have one song because we did play one on Rock 105. I could probably order it. Yeah, order it. Order more Talk Talk. Okay. What is Talk Talk? Oh, stop it. You don't know Talk Talk? You shut your big fat mouth up. What? I'm being serious. Teach me a wise one. You really didn't know? I don't know. This is Talk Talk. Great. song. Gwen Stefani redid it. Really? Yep. I'm getting a lot of neon colors coming to me right now. Nah, you'll recognize it. That's a stupid version of it. Let me play a normal one. Beat it! I pride myself on my talk talk impression. Eddie does a great talk talk. You recognize it, Rob? Yeah, yeah. Is it just talk show? Or actually, I put in talk show and the talk show and there's nothing.
No kidding. It's like they never existed. What's a song by them? Is there a song? Yeah. Hello, Hello is the name of their hit. It was the one that we played at Rock 105. Isn't that Neil Diamond? Really? Oh, no, wait, Lionel Richie. That's why I was on. You get confused by the T's. Hello, Hello, Sopwith Camel? That's the only Hello, Hello that's in the system. That sounds good to me. Let's see. Hang on a minute. Hang on. That's it? That's it. Yeah, that dude singing is the brother of one of our sales guys that worked here at Rock 105. Whole summer at Rock 105. Back in 1998. Ten years ago. Listen to that. Listen to that. Good album, though. Didn't really happen. Eddie's right. It didn't really happen for them. So the only thing left, Scott Weiland and having Scott Weiland do it. And it's not working out. The guy can't stay sober. So do you think the guys had a talk before getting STP back together? Like, you know what, guys? We're just going to have to deal with it if we want to make money.
I don't think they said if we want to make money, but I think they said, you know what? It's important for us to be making music and this is the way we're going to do it. I think it sounded like that. And then it sounded like this. And he's our brother and we got to just support him no matter what. It probably sounded like that. There was probably assurances made. I would guess, right? He probably tried to make assurances. But... It's too bad. He is one of those guys that just, he can't. If we came in tomorrow and heard that Scott Weiland had died, would it surprise anybody? No. That's sad. No, because unfortunately, he can't, he can't do it. He can't stay sober. That's what upset, 10 years ago, that's what upset Dean DeLeo, the question that I had. Upset Dean DeLeo. I said, it was when Scott was getting sober 10 years ago. No way. And I said, and they were, They had broken up because he couldn't get sober. And they were getting back together. And I was interviewing him in person. I even gave Scott a gift. I had a book that I had read called 4,000 Days that was a memoir that was really interesting. And I gave it to Scott that day. Scott actually didn't have as much of a problem with the question as Dean did. Dean was the one that was the most upset. But I asked, Dean, if Scott were to relapse, would you support him?
Or would it be the end of the band? Because that was the first time they had gotten back together. And he got mad. And then when the interview was over, he wanted to see me in person. And I didn't even know that that was the case until after they'd left because my program director at the time, Gary Schoenwetter, Gary wouldn't let him see me. He said, no, he's on the air. You wouldn't let him see me. That should have happened on the air. How great would that have been? I know it. Then after he left, he walked into the studio and said, well, that was interesting. I'll never believe what just happened back in my office. Dean DeLeo wanted to come into the studio and talk to you in person. I said, no, he's on the air. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 5701053.
Got the YouTube clip of the day coming up. What is this, Rob? What is it? The Bravery. The Bravery. Is this a new band? Nah, they've been around for a while. Since 1982, it sounds like. Yeah. Never heard of this in my life, but apparently, this is the YouTube clip of the day today. Apparently. It's an old school clip. Larry King, did you guys know one day he went on the air drunk? Well, drunk or exhausted or both, we don't know. What? Yeah, but he's like... I've never heard of this. You guys heard of this? I don't think so. It's kind of an old school clip. YouTube clip of the day. Next. Great show, everybody. Great show. Hello, my name is Luis, and I'm here to confess a really bad habit. Hang on. Hey, what's going on? Okay, I'll talk to you soon. I didn't even realize I had a bad habit until... Hang on. Hello? Yo, amigo.
¿Qué pasa, man? Sure. You got it. I didn't know I had a bad habit until this guy approached me in a bar and said, You know, that's a bad habit. What's a bad habit? Hang on. What? No, it's not raining here. Sorry, you were telling me. What's a bad habit? It's obvious. Drinking that light beer. Try Tecate Light. It tastes like real cerveza. So I tried Tecate Light, and after one drink, I broke my bad habit of drinking flavorless light beer. It feels good to now be bad habit free. Hang on. Hello? Hey, what's going on? Break the habit. Now, here's something you may have missed this morning on the Mikey Show. Hey, P1 Jessie, what did you do? I was driving down the 76, and you know those giant swarms of bees? They just travel around. I had my windows down and it flew right through my windows. That happened with me when I was working back in Mass. I was with my boy Meatball. He attracts meatball. He's a meatball. He attracts all insects. Dude, if you're covered in marinara, what do you expect? Come on, come on, come on. To his credit, he wasn't covered with marinara yet. It was just ground beef back then. That's right. Lean ground beef. 80-20. He was 80-20.
The Mikey Show continues. I'm on the rock. Would love to hear Aaron Lewis sing this song. Could you imagine Aaron? So he can ruin another song? Not like Aaron Lewis singing Black by Pearl Jam. Get him out of my face. It's a disgrace. Get him out of my face. Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. You can never do that. That would be better. That's weird. Crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy talent. Scott Wyland. Crazy talent. But Aaron Lewis would kill this. He would be amazing. Stop that. He would knock it out of the ballpark. You sing your own stuff, Aaron. Apply Aaron Lewis' Staines voice to this tune. No, thank you. It'd be brilliant.
Come on, Eddie. No. Maybe if you play the Aaron Lewis Black, it'll remind him. He just doesn't realize. Really? Probably not a good idea. Is that what you want to do? You haven't heard it for a while. You haven't heard it for a while. It's stupid. What he's missing out on. Oh, wow. Oh, yeah. Here we go. Is that Lurch? I'm a sad guy. I've got daddy issues. Please. Are you kidding me? Over here. Go ahead, bro. I almost just passed that. You took me over for a second. Yeah. This is what I would imagine. Got to admit, that was a good one. Magic Mountain. This is a good version. Yeah, great. Hang on a second. Now, regular Stained, do you appreciate Aaron Lewis's voice? In context. Really difficult. You've got a screw loose.
Can you talk some sense into this, man? I mean, we know Eddie. He likes his things like he likes his things. Pearl Jam's his favorite band. I believe he likes his Pearl Jam like he likes his Pearl Jam. Nobody should sing Pearl Jam, but Pearl Jam. And nothing will change that. I disagree with that, Eddie, because they have great songs. Incredible songs. So then leave it alone. Eddie Vedder sounds amazing. What if Jimi Hendrix left all along the Watchtower alone? Yeah. Like, I mean, where would we be today? That is such a good example. Where would we be today? That's such a good example. If he just left it alone. Yeah, what would happen if Van Halen left You Really Got Me to just Roy Orbison? Please, Mike. I would have been fine with that. What? Come on, You Really Got Me? No, no, no, no, no. I know the song. I mean, we know how it goes. I know the song. You guys are telling me. You guys are telling me. Like a nice upbeat song. A nice upbeat song. This reminds me of Alanis Morissette doing my humps. You are such a jerk. A face full of jerks right now. Hope you're not listening to that behind the wheel. Hey, I'm driving to oncoming traffic. You're so sad. You would weep openly. You'd weep openly. 5701053 is our number. And it is time, ladies and gentlemen, for this. Now it's time for the YouTube of the day. Never even heard of this. I'd never heard of this, but...
It's an old school clip of Larry King allegedly, allegedly, allegedly. We have no idea if that's the truth, but it says it's an old YouTube clip that resurfaced on the Internet of Larry King's radio show where he seems either drunk or exhausted or both. Slurs and has no idea what the caller is asking him about. Cut three. I was doing a print journalism, and I just wanted to know what advice do you have for young people coming up into the field? For instance, experience, is that important? Uh-huh. Sure. Pressure under fire. Mm-hmm. Done this before. It had to be his first surgery. Oh. Okay. Oh. These are things I'd have confidence in a young MD. I'm talking about journalism field. False. What do you mean? I think you're exhausted from 30 nights. I am exhausted from 30 nights. No person, even those of us who are superhuman.
Those of us with Herculean appetites for. The heck? Wait. That's not tired. You don't sound like that when you're tired. And what does that mean for 30 nights? I don't know. I'm going to Google it. All I know is I love when old dudes use a Y instead of an H when saying human. It's just so Larry King. Even a person with superhuman strength. Like the person is from Yuma. Yeah. They're human. They're human. I'm a human being over here. I understand that I bleed. I'm made of flesh and blood. I'm human. I bleed my own blood. That's right. I bleed my blood. I'm human. Nobody makes me bleed my own blood. I'm superhuman. Those of us with Herculean appetites for the diverse and the bizarre have a half hour to go, and I'm going to do that half hour because I'm a pro. That's what pros do.
I'm a professional. Look it up in the book. Okay. That's what we do. We're pros. We're never rude. We don't camp out. We don't tell you that we're ill or that we're looking for the farmhouse in the middle of the desert or that we're parched. We don't tell you that maybe the check didn't come through this month and where the hell does it go anyway if you're a guy who's left 16 forwarding addresses. Okay. So what do you do? Best reaction ever. Kind of worried about the club. The club? Worry about the club. Worry about maybe Jackie might worry. Life is a breeze. Of course, some breezes, as you know, are 110 miles an hour and get promoted up the hurricanes. I just thought I'd pass that along. Speaking of pass it along, we're going to pass along now to the newsroom, the mutual newsroom, high atop the overlooking downtown, beautiful downtown studios of Wallace, Virginia, Washington. That was awesome, man. Never have Hubba Bubba in the pyramids. Well said.
We should start our show off every day with that whole, like, we're professionals little riff. We're professionals. Kick our show off of that every day. We're professionals. I'll be on the same page. Professional. Oh, my gosh, Ash. I just saw this. Eddie's being a jerk. Whatever. Ashley just sent me an instant message conversation between her and Eddie. Eddie. Eddie IMs Ashley. He's being a punk, and I don't appreciate it. Eddie just IMs her out of nowhere. He IMs her. You must be starving. I mean, we're trying to do a show here. We're trying to do a show. We're in a break, Skye. Do you see what she ate this weekend? We're in a break. I mean. Oh, no. I'm surprised that, like. And this guy. Right? Stop the show. Skye, you saw what went down. Well, yeah. Aren't you worried about that? She's fine. You just IMs right now. Out of nowhere. You must be starving. Out of nowhere. Let me tell you something. She ate. Are you eating your words? Shut up! She ate so much. I'm surprised Rob made it back. I thought she was going to eat it after she had gone through everything else. It's too small of a meal. That's right. It's not worth it. It's not worth it. You're like sucking on a chicken wing. Let's see. Who's Emma Stone? Does anyone know who Emma Stone is? No?
It's familiar. Sister of Pumice? Pumice Stone. You are familiar with Pumice Stone. Let me see. Let me Google. Emma. Is that Hermione? Stone. Yeah, I think it's Hermione. And Google says, did you mean Emma Stone? Because you typed Effa Stone, you moron. That's what Google just said to me. I love it when Google yells at you. She's the chick from Superbad. That Jonah Hill's character was interested in. She's real pretty. She's super bad. She's a redhead. It's the only thing I've ever seen her in. The only reason that she, that I even wanted to mention this is because I thought it was kind of an interesting story that she told to Jay Leno. Cut 19. So now you live here. I live here now, yeah. Okay. Which was the result of a big plea to move to L.A. about four years ago. Four years ago? You would have been, what, 14? Yeah, like 15. Wait, wait, wait. How do you move when you're 14 or 15? How does that work? Well, Jay, I made a PowerPoint presentation. And, you know... And to your parents? For my parents, yeah. Really? For my parents, I made, like, a, you know, Project Hollywood PowerPoint presentation. And, um...
I figured it would work, and now I'm sitting here with you and Bill Cosby. Wow, it works pretty good. Maybe you should be one of those motivational speakers. Make PowerPoints. Wow, well, that's impressive. Microsoft. A couple of things. I think I'm going to go against what everybody else is thinking, but that's per usual for me. Numero Uno, I argue, she's sitting there talking to Jay Leno. Her parents let her go to Los Angeles. Number two, I would be so proud of my kid if he made a PowerPoint presentation as to why I should let him do something. Holy Toledo. If my kid wanted a guitar and I said, no, I'm not getting a guitar. It costs too much. And he made me a PowerPoint presentation. I'd be so proud. Would you give him the guitar? Yes. Wow. Oh, I absolutely listen to this.
Absolutely, 100%. If a kid put that kind of effort and that kind of like, that means they're not just saying, gimme, gimme, gimme. Excuse me, Mike. Yes, Boston Rob. This is my presentation on why I deserve a race. Wait a second, though. Here is my presentation about how you never answered emails. Hold on a second. My PowerPoint presentation about how you never answered emails. First of all, I would love to know how to do PowerPoint presentations. Because I want to do one for when I give my testimony. I want to have visuals and music. And I really want to know how to do it. I don't know how to do it. Is it easy or is it hard? I don't know. Seth is shaking his head yes. Yeah, it's pretty easy. Oh, look at this guy. Go ahead. Toss the microphone away. Tell us how to do it, Mr. George Lucas. Yeah, what's easier? PowerPoint or reply? Wichita Stone. is easier. I did not know Supercuts did highlights. Would I look good as a blonde, Pete? I guess. So I got the gun and the robber was arrested. That's great, Pete. You're a real hero. Thank you. He's just trying to get free cookies. Well, there's a whole box of them. Well, he still can't. Oh, he can't? Tell me that's not a good cookie, dude. Too crunchy, huh, Mike? What's it like? Too crunchy? There's like no softness to that. It's a good cookie, but it's exactly. It's like a cracker.
It's exactly Chips Ahoy. No, no, no. Chips Ahoy is like soft and gross. Soft and gross? Soft and gross. Chips Ahoy are hard. There's a chewy. There's a new chewy. It's crispier. Are you getting hungry? Are you getting hungry? No, they're too crunchy, Ash. Too crunchy? It's crunchy. You don't need a soft cookie. If you're going to have a cookie, you're going to have a soft cookie. Yeah. That's true. Thank you. I do prefer it soft. That's what... Wow. Shut your mouth. I'm four years old. Okay. Everybody calm down. What about this? I'm really...
I love shortbread. But that's a hard, crunchy cookie. Totally different taste. I'm not saying that. I'm talking about consistency. But there's no chocolate in it. Again, not my point. Thank you. Shortbread's delicious. You know that when I had my surgery and you guys sent me, you and Debra sent me a gift basket? It had... The most delicious shortbread cookies. Oh, thank goodness. You didn't know. I did. I thought you were being thoughtful. You did. You know. You promise? I swear. Because I thought it was so thoughtful. I thought it was, oh, you knew. It was so good. Bottom line is, that cookie is the same crunch as a shortbread cookie. You're way out, man. Your opinion is garbage. Did you fire him already? Let me talk. Fire him a while back. Sky suggested it. Sky suggested it. Sky suggested it. All right, we need two listeners. I'm over this whole thing. Come on, girl power. Come on, girl. We need two listeners. Sky, what was I just... I'm going to ask it on the air, but nobody could effectively tell me what the solution is that would make me satisfied. That sounds intriguing. I got an ice maker issue. Oh, no. Yeah. It goes like this. No, it doesn't. You get it. No one can diagnose it.
Mine doesn't even work. Mine gives the option of crushed our cubes. Everybody's missing out. Yeah, I went with the bottom freezer thinking that that was going to be awesome. That sounds cool. Bottom freezers are the worst. Why? I hate them. Not enough space. It seems like that's what it would be a space. Opposite. I've always been a side door and this new one at the new house is a bottom fear. I hate it. Why? Because there's not enough room. Calm down. It seems like it would be a giant. And then you don't get the stuff in the door either. You don't get the ice and the water in the door if it's a bottom. Forget the water, dude. The water's disgusting from a freezer door. Not if you hook it up to an RO. You can't. Yes, you can. Mike doesn't even know. We couldn't. We couldn't, so I just figured the world couldn't. No, Mike, you are not the world.
Mike is the world. I'm the world. I support that. P1EE, you ready to play? I am ready to play. All right, EE, question. How old are you? I am 25. How long have you been listening? About two years. Perspective on you, bro. Eddie, stop teasing her with food. You're alone. P1Froggy. Yes. How old are you? 23. How long have you been listening? Three years. You got a year on double E. You go, girl. Okay. Let's start with a girl. Now, we're doing it like this. It works like the DCC, like the Dumb Chick Challenge. You got to get to five points. You can pick a one, two, or three-point question, so you can get to five points however you want to. Froggy, we'll start with you. What do you want? A two-point. They're all about the Mikey show, by the way. The questions that we ask are only about the Mikey show and nothing else. Who does the show lovingly refer to as Donkey Kong?
guy's husband. That is correct. Duh. That means that Froggy's in the lead. Mm-hmm. Double E, what do you want to do? I'll take a two-pointer. You got it. Who on the show is known for their love of horrible movies? That would be Sean. That would be correct. Wow. Oh, yeah. No, Sean. That's correct, Sean. Sean. Sean. But he's right, Sean. Remember from Justin to Kelly? Yeah. Hello. Wow. Remember that. I mean, remember every movie he likes. What's your favorite Alien movie, Sean? Alien 3. Yeah, because if you don't say Alien... 3. Acceptable answer, Aliens. Alien is the correct answer. Aliens is acceptable. No way. Alien 3, wrong answer. Aliens was awful, bro. Okay. You want Froggy? Yes.
You could win the game with a three-pointer or you could play it safe and go one or two. Two. Two-pointer. Taking the old sky. Makes me nervous. Who on the show is engaged to be married? Rob. That is correct. Doesn't he have to have a girlfriend first? Oh, I thought he was boyfriend. Oh. That's his name. Yes. Why'd you flip Eddie off? I know, right? Like, how did that make sense? I don't know. Let's see. Double E. Well, I guess I got to go for a three now. Oh. Let's see. This is what I was scared for. You can win. You can win with a three. Let's see. Your three-point question is, what show member is often said to be dancing to the music that I play on the show as we return from commercial breaks? I'm going to say Ashley. Incorrect. Mezzo. Mezzo. Mezzo.
The correct answer is Eddie. Duh. Cheddar. Best dancer in the world. Thank you. You're welcome. Agreed. Won the Randy Jackson Best Dance Crew in 1974. Sir Chad. That is true. In 1974. Yep. Has a plaque on his desk that reads, The Kid. Yep. That is true. It's carved out of wood. Is that weird? Only the best. Froggy. Yeah. One pointer will win it for you. Got this. Yeah. What TV show does Eddie claim he guest starred on with Lorenzo Lamas? What do you mean claimed? Right. Like that question is false. Well, you were on it, Eddie. Let me rephrase for you. You were an extra. What show do I currently co-star with? This show's not even on the air anymore. If it was still on the air. For years. Answer it. Oh, my gosh. I can't think of it. I can't believe that's a one-pointer. You're not on IMDb. You are not. Froggy, you don't know? Wiccaface me. Wiccaface. That's not even a real thing. Spacepedia. Come on. Froggy, you know this. Me and Lo.
Angie Harmon was on our episode. The answer, you're wrong. I'm sorry. But the answer is Renegade. Oh, darn it. Oh, this is a shock. Double E. I think she's going to get the next one pointer, so I got to go another three. You got it. Who on the show is currently learning how to play guitar? It's Mikey. That is correct. You both get to come in. You played great. You played great. You played great. You played great. So, hang on the line, the two of yous. It's P1 Froggy and P1EE, and they did really good. That little segment was called P1 Trivia. We do it every Monday morning, and the winner gets to come in on Friday, get a backstage, laminated backstage pass, and breakfast, and they get to hang out with us here on the show, and they get to watch Seth not answering emails. Really? Really cool. Seth just gave a look like, why me?
He tries to ignore it, but... He does. It's not going to go away. He tries to ignore it. No. Look at Skye. She's taunting him. She's so cute. He just put on his sunglasses. That's not going to work. That's weird. My cats love it. It's not going to work. Try again. Try again, Skye. What's wrong with him? Like, seriously. He's got his sunglasses on. If he pretends it's not happening, maybe it won't. Wave like a string on a stick. Oh, does anybody have one? No. Here, I'll use my... My badge. Hold on. Use your lanyard. The cats love the badge. I'm going to use the lanyard and see if it gets Zeth's attention. Nothing has so far. No, it's not. Oh, there he goes. He's pawing it. He's pawing at it. He's pawing at it. That was fantastic. People had just seen what happened in this room. We'd all be committed. We would be committed. We need cameras in here.
This guy, you're the worst. I'm going to read a bunch of headlines because it'll take too long to get to all this stuff, so I'm going to read you a bunch of headlines. My first thing on the list, sir, is Brett Favre is going back to Green Bay, should join the team today. No clue if he'll play or not. Well, that's weird. That doesn't make no sense. Outage cuts air traffic communications for Major Southern California Air Traffic Control Center in San Diego. First game of the year for football was last night, and the Redskins beat the Colts 30-16. $91 million has been saved from property tax in San Diego by people asking for reassessment. I did it. You can still do it. Oh, you did do it? Yeah. Good for you. Thank you. I got to do that. I don't know what it means, and my wife does. I know it's very adult. So when you buy your house, you know, that's the assessed value. Sounds like grownups. You're not paying attention. I will not pay attention. It will not. You got this, bro. You believe I will understand. I have faith that you will believe this. So, you know, when you bought your house, you bought it for a certain price. Yes. The market has since dropped. Okay. And your house is now.
probably worth less money than when you purchased it. For no doubt. For sure. Yeah. So you're paying your property tax based on your purchase price. Right. Okay. But now your house is worth less. Yes. So they can come out, reassess the value of your house, say your house is now worth X amount of dollars, and you'll pay property tax off of that new lower number. Now, what are we talking here? Are we talking $4.50 a month? Well, they give an example. The article that was in the Union Tribune talks about a guy who has a house in Imperial Beach, and his original value of his house was $628,000. They reassessed it from $628,000 to $535,000. That's $100,000 less. So that's about $1,000 a year he's saving on his property tax. Oh, that's pretty good. There's a website. I think it's cutmypropertytaxes.com. Go to that. And what will it do? They'll do the work for you. Oh, really? Oh, I accidentally put in cutapetal.com. Mike! It's totally a different site. But it's still funny. Totally a different site. And it'll save you a lot of stuff. Whoopsie. Or you can go to the county assessor's website. No, don't do that. Do what I say. Go to my advice. Petal. My petal.
Okay. Do you understand that, Mike? Yeah, but I just want to know what we're talking. Yeah, I mean, it sounds like a thousand bucks a year is pretty good. I mean, because it all depends on what time you bought. You know, like if you bought just recently, obviously it's not going to apply to you. But if you bought a couple of years ago when prices were high, then yeah. Prices were high. We were paying. Now they're down and I'm not. Whoa. That doesn't make sense. Is that Schoolhouse Rock? Yep. Did you know about this stuff? About what stuff? Uh-oh. Listening to Jeff and Jer, honey, what are you guys talking about? I briefly filled our interest. Here's the deal, babe. Apparently, property taxes are down. Property values are down. Property values are down. And so they can come out and reassess the house and our property tax will be lowered. Oh, we already did that. Okay.
You're the best. People are the best. You look the best arrangement. Don't know anything. We didn't even have to have somebody come out. What we did is there's a form that you can fill out. What we did or what you did? I mean, I did. How do you spell lightning? Hey! Do you spell it with an E or is it just lightning? You spell it with an E. How do you spell it with an E? To my knowledge. Hey, listen. We got this email a few weeks back about this really good cause. And I said, babe, we should donate to that. She goes, we did. A hundred bucks. Aw. She's so good. I had no idea. I had no idea what happened. Where did you find her? On the internet. Can I hire her? Take care of my stuff. I love her. She's the best. Love you, honey. I love you too, hon.
So you're all good, Mike. She already did it. Yeah, we're saving money, you guys. Hello, looking good. You're part of that 91 billion being saved. Wow. Carl Edwards gambled on fuel. It paid off. He won at Pocono. Good for him. He said, I think I can mug you. Well said. Let's keep going. Oh, gosh. Sky, explain this because I don't understand. Oh, no. Del Mar. Yeah. Del Mar track to cut purses for the first time in 30 years. What does that even mean? Eddie, do you know what that means? I thought you were going to know. What's the purse? Is that what you win? Yes. It's like the money that the horse trainer wins. That the horse trainer wins. Okay, so not the dude who... Well, whatever horse wins the race. Yeah, the owner or whatever. The owner. That's the purse. Oh, okay. Okay, so it's not the chicks in the funny hats. It's not a handbag. It's not a handbag. Okay, okay. So it doesn't have anything to do with us betting money. Packet book.
Or does it? They're going to steal your purse. Or does it? I don't think so. No. The money that you win is based on the odds. Okay, so this news about the purses being cut for the first time in 30 years affects the people that own them. Yes. Yeah, so they'll reduce the purses by about 3.5%. They say that amounts to about $10,000 a day. Oh, that's a lot for those dudes. Yeah. I know a dude that has a little money on horses, owns part of a horse. Tastes like a horse. Yeah. San Diego's going to be one of the test cities for the federal Deport Yourself program. I don't know. Apparently my wife already signed me up for that too. Yeah. So they say if you're in this nation illegally, you can avoid arrests by, you know, under this new test program. I'm sure people take advantage of that. Your Mexican-ness is what defines you. Thank you. Sounds fun. Yeah, it does. Let's see. Oh, hello. Texas and Louisiana are under watch for Tropical Storm Edward. Your Mexican-ness is what defines you. Edward. Pronounced Edward.
They really spell it funky. They do. E-D-O-U-A-R-D. Glad you said it, not me. Eduardo. Eduardo? It's a Hurricane Edward. Yes, it looks like going this way is a Hurricane Edward. No, Eduardo! Eduardo! No! Is it picking up steam out in the... No! Yeah, so it's going to probably hit Texas and Louisiana within the next 24 hours. Right now it's still a tropical storm, but you never know. It could be a hurricane by that time. I'll take a look at the models and I'll let you know. I'll take a look at the hurricane models online. Where were you when Dolly hit? That's right. How about that? Where were you? I'm talking to you. Hurricane Dolly? I did not change my name. I have not changed my name. I have not changed my name. Yeah, you have. It went from Hurricane Dolly to Hurricane Edward. I did not change my name. I have not changed my name. I have not changed my name. What did I say about Hurricane Dolly? I said, that sucker didn't impress me. I said, don't call me yet. I said, don't call me until you're up to 100 miles an hour. Then she got up to 100 and she called me and I was like,
Oh, you're up to 100. Okay, now we mean business. But you didn't do anything. She just went... Oh, that's weird. Sky, you got any pictures on the internet of what that Hurricane Edward looks like? Yeah, I have them saved here in my picture. I got it. I got it. I'm going to take one... Okay, I'm looking. Okay, I'm going to tell you right now. I'm looking at it. That's going to drop a lot of rain, but it ain't going to do a lot of damage. Oh, good. Just Mike, everybody. Hey, listen. What? Was that Larry King just broke into the studio? Wow, what happened there? Let it go. Let's just pretend. Well said. This mineral is... Mineral is Mike. Sweet berry wine. Peanut Noir.
A San Diego Marine won a Captain America Honda Element from Comic-Con. What? Yeah, how cool is this? So I guess they, you know, were doing this drawing raffle thing for this Captain America Honda Element, which was custom designed by Marvel. Sweet. And so, you know, you can enter to win there at Comic-Con, and a local Marine here from San Diego won, and the money raised from doing the raffle goes to the San Diego blood bank to help get more life. So you may see that cruising around town. I like it. Wow. Did you guys know? Did you guys know that there's like a new Yahoo mail? You guys all know billion people with Yahoo.com, right? Have you guys heard of Ymail? No. It's a new thing. It's a part of Yahoo. So you're going to start seeing it a lot. Ah, I told you first. So now when you see it coming up, you go, oh yeah, I heard that on the Mikey show. Yeah, you're going to start seeing your friends write you emails from blah, blah, blah.
at Ymail.com. Rip off artist. That's right. You see, something called Patel at Ymail.com. So that's W-H-Y-M-A-L-E dot com? No, Rob. Yes, Rob. Ymail? Yep, write it down, Rob. You can get it. Okay. Okay, Eddie. What? Take a guess. How much did they pay Brangelina for pictures of their twins? How much did they pay Brangelina Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie. How much did they pay for pictures of their twins? For sure a lot. Take a guess. Like other celebrities and their dumb kids get like a million dollars. And this is two celebrities and they're big. I'm going to say $10 million. That's a good guess. Put it up there. Ashley. I was going to say five. And that's still your guess. Seth. 7.5. Rob, $41 million, and the winner got to cut the placenta. Sean. I'm ignoring it. I'm ignoring it. I'm ignoring it. I think he meant umbilical cord, by the way. The placenta. Or whatever it is. He gets to cut the placenta. The umbilical. Same thing. The winner gets to cut the afterbirth. Shut your fucking mouth. Yes.
Sean. You okay, pal? Maybe I should have went after him. When I get to eat the placenta. They do that in some cultures. Yeah, they do. I see it on Discovery. Yeah, thank you. Sean. Eddie Papani was the closest. Thank you. In your face, everyone. You say when you win, in your face, everyone. You're welcome. They were reportedly paid for... $15 million for pictures of their twins. $7 million per baby. $7 million per baby. So People Magazine and Hello Magazine had to go in on it together because it was so much money. So they paid $7 million a piece. That was Squiggy from Lenny and Squiggy. And they both went to print early. So I think starting today, even though the magazine is not supposed to be out until Wednesday, starting today you can find Peepa.
People. People. People magazine. Peace magazine. It's all about marshmallows and the Brangelina children. It's an awesome magazine. If you're into both things. Wow. This is great. I am. Yeah. 14 million, which of course will all be donated to charity. Thank you. Yeah, right. That's what they said. Come on. I believe them. What am I? They have enough already. They don't need it. Skye, what happened at Lollapalooza with Rage Against the Machine? Oh, it was bad. It was kind of a little reminiscent of Street Scene a couple years ago when Tool played, if you were there, if you know. People just went crazy for Rage. And the mosh pits just started getting out of control. And there were people who were trapped in between the mosh pits and mainly in between the front security gate and then the mosh pits. And they were trapped and they were getting smushed. And Zach, the lead singer of Rage, had to stop the show multiple times. And say, hey, everyone back up. Everyone stop it. People are getting hurt. I can't believe that.
It was like a situation where they were stopping it more than once. Like you would think when that happened one time, they'd be like, hey, hey, hey, if you do this again, we got to stop. Hold up, wait a minute. Hold up, wait a minute. They say they stopped the show three times. And one of the times the entire band got together and had a little quick little conference with the head of security to try and make it better. And, you know, they say luckily there were no major injuries reported. My goodness, that is so gnarly. But that's scary. Yeah, it is. Yeah. That's a lot of dudes that are in their 20s. Yeah. That's scary, man. Dudes in their 20s with a couple of beers and no shirts on and boxer shorts sticking out is not good. What of it? Yep. See what I mean? There you go. You just heard a snapshot. There it is. And Exhibit A. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. What about? Oh, my God. Bernie Mac is not dead. Didn't. Thanks. I think he was. There was rumors. Oh, well, obviously you aren't on top of this. But his career is. You're not on BernieMac.org. Oh, definitely not. It's my homepage. Yeah, there were rumors this weekend that Bernie Mac had died. Oh. Yeah, and I guess it turns out not true. Happens with me every weekend. Yeah, but he is in the hospital being treated for pneumonia. Oh. Yeah, so he's sicky, but he... Macapedia. Lance Armstrong. One ball. Ken Hudson.
Wow, that was quick. They were dating? They were, but it's over. 10th annual Teen Choice Awards tape last night. It's going to air tonight on Fox. So I won't ruin it for you, even though I know what went down. Let's see. Shia LaBeouf's hand injury is going to have to be written into Transformers 2. Awesome. It's that bad. Yeah. It was either that or, you know, get a new actor, which of course would cost the studio millions of dollars and wouldn't make much sense. So yeah, they've written his arm injury from his car crash into the script. Wow. Two more stories and that's it. Okay. Some actress from Hairspray and an America's Next Top Model contestant got into a brawl at a Caribbean airport. Dude, this story is nuts. I love it. What happened? So it's...
Nikki Blonsky. She's the head chick from the Hairspray movie, The Young Chick. The heavyset one. Okay, didn't mean to say that. She was the star of the movie. I think people want to know. That was a nice way to say it, Eddie. I could have said Fatty Boomba Latty, but I didn't. I didn't say that. But I mean, you just did. But anyway, so she got into it with former America's Next Top Model contestant, Bianca Golden. And I guess what happened is they were both at the same Caribbean airport and there's like some departure VIP waiting lounge or whatever. She's trying to eat her. Eddie, remember you said you weren't going to do that. Remember? Who did? You. So Nikki, the chick from Hairspray, is in the departure lounge, and she's saving a whole bunch of seats for her family, who I guess are on their way to meet her there. And then Bianca, the model chick, cruises in with her family, and her family wants to sit there. And so basically they start fighting over the saved seats in the departure lounge.
And it starts to get physical and both sides of the family get involved. People are throwing punches. They say a member of the model's family actually bit Nikki's foot. The model's mom ended up with head injuries and had to be like airlifted out of there. The dad of the hairspray chick is like still currently being held in jail there. It's really difficult. It's very difficult to put others' needs before yours, but try it. It'll make you feel really good. And you won't end up in jail. You won't end up in jail. It's tough to do, though, because we want what we want. But if you put others' needs before yours, it feels super good. It's just hard to get there. Gunfire at an Atlanta party thrown by Jermaine Dupree. Oh, hell. Yep. Hold up. Wait a minute. Yep. So, of course, Diddy was there. Usher was there. Nelly was there. Yeah. Was Kanye there?
Not that I read. Not Nas. Yeah, but I guess some guest, who wasn't like a celebrity or whatever, but was a guest there, got really upset because I guess they were charging an additional cover charge to get access to the VIP area. And this guy was mad because he had already paid his initial cover to get in the club, so he just decided to pull out a gun and start shooting. I'm glad I wasn't there. Didn't go over so well. Me and those guys are super different. They like to hang out at the club, and I like to grow tomatoes. Oh, that's true. We're very different. They hang out at the club. You like club sandwiches. That's true. That's true. They have rhythm, and I own the album Rhythm Nation. Which you love. They are cool, cool mint bubble gum. Cool mint bubble gum. Mike, that's the best you could do, Mike. That's awesome. Seriously? Can I have a piece of your cool mint? Yes. 570-1053. They like it hot in the club. You hate when it's hot in the car. With a heat plug on your face. 570-1053 is our phone number. Call us at the beginning and end of every show and I'll let you see the fishing line that's sticking out of my side. Let me pull on it. Call us up.
I needed some flaws. P1 Matt Damon's on the line. Hey, Matt Damon. Hey, Matt Damon. Hey, Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. What's going on? Not much. I was excited to hear Steve Smith was stupid enough to punch his own teammate. You were excited to hear that. Oh, yes. That means that he's not going to be playing against the Chargers. That's true. That is true. He's suspended for the first two games of the year. The Chargers open their season against... Carolina Panthers. There you go. I was just curious if you knew any more insight on why he thought that would be a good idea. He was mad. He was angry. I wonder what they were fighting about. I don't know. There's no details about that. He jacked up Ken Lucas' face, broke his nose. Oh, my goodness. He's got a temper. Like the guy did at the club. All right, brother. Thank you for the call.
If they would have been chewing Cool Mint gum, everybody would have been... All right. It would have been good. Cool Whip. I should have said Cool Whip. There you go. Cool Whip. But Cool Mint tastes so good, it was just on your mind. That's right. You have fresh breath. Mikey Show. Oh, I'm so stoked that they haven't fixed line two. Yeah. Dropped another health test. Why, though? Why fix it? I bother. Who cares? Mikey Show. Hey, what up, guys? What's up? My wedding went good this weekend, P1 Javi, and I wanted to thank you for when I went in there on Wednesday. It was awesome. Awesome, dude. Oh, yeah, man. Very cool, Javi. My wedding was... Yeah! Congratulations. I need to take a picture again with you guys because that disposable camera... It's terrible. Guy came in here. Guy came in here to the studio and he's, please, let me take a picture. So his buddy takes a picture. Actually, it was the other listener that got to come in with one of those disposables. The stupid flash won't go off. Sorry, brother. All right, guys. Mikey Show. Mikey, hey, I got a question for you. Yeah. When are you going to watch Batman Begins? I was starting to watch it on my phone on the flight. Really? What did you think? I thought it was amazing. I thought it was great, man. What did you think of The Dark Knight?
I thought that Heath Ledger's performance was incredible. And the rest of it, I didn't understand. Really? Yeah. Well, I wanted to just say I love you guys. I love the show. And long live McRib. Peace out. Thank you. Well done. Mikey, show last call. Bring us home. Hey, Mikey. I just want to say that I'm very glad you guys are back. And sweet Berryham. Sweet Berryham. Oh, wow. The lovely and talented Missy is up next. Today on the show, she's got the nooner, and she's going to do double shots for you. So enjoy. We'll come back tomorrow morning, about 5.30. We'll do Best Up until 6, and then at 6 o'clock, we'll do a live show for about four and a half hours. So we'll see you back here tomorrow live. Mikey Show's out. Wait.
