This Mikey Show broadcast featured major format changes with Mike and Ashley switching roles (Mike becoming news girl, Ashley becoming host), Zeth becoming the new phone screener, and Boston Rob taking over hosting duties. The show was filled with absurd humor segments including discussions about women sharing men's razors, deodorant, and toothbrushes; Sky's ham-eating habit that became a running joke from boot camp in Denver; Eddie's lawnmower struggles; and Boston Rob dressing as a "gas monkey" to pull over cars with P1 Army stickers for gas card giveaways. Throughout the nearly 5-hour broadcast, they promoted various sponsors, played YouTube clips (including a woman deathly afraid of balloons from Maury Povich), and maintained their signature absurdist humor format with bits like the "dumb chick challenge" and endless debates about whether certain behaviors were gross or acceptable. The hosts also dealt with 911 busy signal experiences, fantasy football league dilemmas after a participant's death, and various listener stories about everything from handcuff sex mishaps to party-ruining behaviors.

It is 6.05. Silver Strand Beach, which is the last public beach in San Diego County where booze is still allowed, is now considering a booze ban. The Padres have the day off yesterday, going to start a series with the Mets today. Chris Young will be on the hill. First pitch will be 4.10. All right, let's get the sucker started. 5701053, that's the phone number. 35253 is our text. Text us up. Check it out, P1s. P1 is a Mikey Show listener. It means every time you hear the term P1, you know that we're talking about specifically a Mikey show listener. And when they call into the show, they turn the radio down, get to the point, and they don't cuss. That's what makes them a P1. And they turn other people on to the Mikey show. They listen for long periods of time, not just five minutes here or there, because, you know, we actually really work hard.
at trying to put on an entertaining show for four and a half hours. In fact, a lot of shows, including this one, a lot of times what we would do in the past, and when I say the past, I mean many years ago, is we would rerun segments that started at the beginning of the show. We'd rerun them later in the show, and we don't do that anymore, mainly because we have too much material. Every day, we have so much material. That's why we don't get off the air until 10.30 or 10.40 or whatever. Most shows sign off the last break of their 9 o'clock hour, which is usually about 9.50. And we don't do that. We stay on the radio until we're done. Yeah. Yeah. So, you know, we appreciate you listening and all of that stuff. So, thank you. 570-1053. Call us. Open forum, whatever you want to talk about. You can call us about anything you want. And we'd love to hear from you.
Let's introduce everybody and get the show started. You're going to hear something real different today. We have a major change. We have a major change on the Mikey show. I'm not ready. I know. It's going to trip out all of our regular listeners. That's crazy. Two people on the show have switched jobs. I'm the news girl. I wonder if people are wondering right now. Who is it? I wonder what they think. Who switched? Mike and Ashley. That's right. Ashley's now the host. I retire. Shut up. Going to work at Blockbuster? Whatever. Best show ever. That's right. 570-1053. Regular listeners are going to be like, wah, wah, what? 570-1053. My name is Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 38 years of age.
freshly shorn head today. Oh, look at you. Shaved the head. Don't like doing it. I don't like it. It's just a pain in the butt. Yeah, you should check out my legs. Oh, no. This guy. Come on. I'm just saying. Who likes shaving? How often do you do? I mean, really. How often? What's up? Are they shaved right now? Well, I mean, if they were, I don't think I would. Come here. Come on. Let me see. Let's see what's rocking. Come on. Come here. Let me see what's rocking. They're like a frat boy's legs. Don't you judge me. And the fact that I still chose to wear capri pants today. Also, you should still not judge me. She's like a Yeti from the waist down. Ready to enjoy this? Come here. I love you no matter what, kid. I was going to say that's not that bad. Then I went, okay, wait. You can't tell. It's very feminine. Very feminine little hairs. Yeah, no, the hairs are kind of light, but then if you get in, you know, any sort of close proximity. I just cut myself when I was, you know. Gross. You accidentally rub up against them. That's right. Why don't you do anything about that? Yeah, it's time consuming. I need to sand a two by four. Can I rub it on your legs? You probably could, Johnny. It's annoying, right, Skye? No, it's time consuming. It's annoying. You got to contort and all these different things.
That's right. That's right. Do you still do it the same with the red plastic cup in the bathtub and the razor? It's tough now because I'm trying to conserve water. So I don't take as many baths. I have to take more showers now, which I don't really care for, but whatever. So, no, I don't. You shave your legs in the shower. Yeah, which is not fun either. I bet every chick has a different little ritual they go through. Are you like my wife, Sky, where you use a man's razor for that? Or you use a chick razor? Well, I used to use a man's razor until the husband said, get your own damn razors. Oh, I would never allow it. You used his? She used his? What's wrong? Oh, I know. Why is that wrong? I'm flipping out, too. I'm flipping out. Why is that wrong? Come on. The guy kissed me with his tongue. Why can't we share with you? Why can't we share with you? So different. What's wrong? So you're okay with your... dead skin parts from your legs going on his clean face? Yuck. That's okay for you? What about his dead skin face on my clean legs? Then get your own. I'm fine with it. We share the same sheets. Is it okay if a guy uses a girl's razor after she had used it for a little while? Come on, Rob. Yeah, Rob.
Last time I was on vacation in Hyannis and had to shave. Stop, stop, stop. I don't know. Convenience stores in Hyannis? Yeah. Dude, you know how expensive raises are. They're like 45 cents when you buy the cheap disposable ones. That pricey. All right, well, let's quickly move around. All right. I am Mikey. I'm the host of the show. Look at Sean. I know, Sean's. Got his hands over his eyes. He's a germaphobe. He's really worked out. Looks like he's going to... Sorry, Shawnee. Not good. He looks traumatized. Tread lightly. It's fine. Eddie is our producer and our sports guy. He is 35 years old. He is what you call a guy's guy. So that was not pleasant for Eddie hearing all that. Skye is our news girl. She is 30 years old. And she is a unique lady, man. I'd kick my wife out of my house. That's a little... Guy goes for it. Her and the bunny boo, they have a very close relationship. Too close. We're in love. Don't they, Eddie, they do something else strange too, like at restaurants. Don't they do something with food or something strange like that with the food? Most of these things he's had a talk with me about, about my behaviors of using his razors and eating off his plates. So there's been discussions over the years. I can't remember what it is right now.
About how he eats the almond out of my almond joy. That is what it is. Oh, my gosh. This is so disgusting. Let's not talk about that. I do enjoy the chocolate surrounding the almond, but not the almond itself. That right there is one of the stranger ones. Now, Skye's right. If they kiss one another, what's the difference? But she'll take an almond, clean the chocolate off of it with her mouth, and then because he enjoys them, she'll take it out of her mouth. Hand it to him. He'll put it in his mouth, chew it up, and consume it. Oh, I love it so much. The old almond trick. That's right. It's so wonderful. That's how he got herpes, man. Oh, come on now. Yeah. Sean is... Because sex wouldn't have done it. No, the almond. The almond was the culprit. Sky pronounces almond. Shut up. Oh. The Fed hasn't kicked in yet. Oh, no. Give me some time.
Good effects. Shawnee O'Boy is our sound effects man. He's a germaphobe. And let me tell you something. This guy does not like touching people. No way, Jose. Skin really disgusts me. Totally. The thought of all of the dirt and the bacteria. Not to mention, people just don't keep themselves clean enough. And to me, whenever I see someone's skin, I always think of a fourth grade or a four-year-old. But Sean, they're adults. They're filthy. A four-year-old wouldn't be responsible enough to cleanse themselves, but you know that an adult makes different kinds of decisions than a child. Can't be trusted. Ashley is what Sean fears. In fact, yesterday, Sean, were you on the phone yet? No, I don't think he was, right? We hadn't conferenced him in yet. First thing Ashley did when she walked into the studio yesterday is she started to announce to us. She's real annoyed. She's like, oh man, I can't stand myself for my B.O. And Sky says, well, why would you tell us about it?
And Ashley goes, because I don't want you guys to notice. I don't want you guys to notice it. I think I was gross. Is this where we've gotten to now? Yes. This guy doesn't shave her legs. Ashley has BO. These girls don't care. We're all friends here. I understand that. But you can't get a little gussied up for the mothers? Let me tell you why. They do not care. Why do you get gussied up for your brothers? That's kind of creepy. It would be creepy if I did. Why are the guys cleaner than the chicks? That's not true. And wearing deodorant isn't really getting gussied up. Well, let me tell you why. Stop screaming at me, Sean. I don't deserve it. Let me tell you why Ashley was in this condition. Why? She was in this condition because she said that yesterday morning she put deodorant on and it burned.
Oh, that's wrong. Because you know how sometimes Skye, when you shave your armpits, it will sting if you immediately put deodorant on after it. So it hurt. So I wiped it off. It hurt, so she wiped off the deodorant. It was stinging. And I said to her, I said, man, when facing the choice of BO or stinging deodorant, to me the choice is clear. It's burning my armpit. I didn't use that word, but it was. I don't care. Ashley has an aversion to certain words. Armpit is one. That word. Zit is another. She hates that word. I agree with her on that. Let's see. Next up to introduce is Boston Rob. Talk about it. What? But Boston Rob and Zeth have switched roles. Hold on. No, Mike. That's crazy. I got a demotion? Come on. Great. Well. Not exactly. You both got a promotion. Zeth now actually has a job and you, your role will expand on the Mikey show. So let me describe to P1 listeners what we got going on now. Rob is now in the studio with us. Which I don't care for because the shenanigans were already starting this morning. He was talking with Eddie about because, you know, Eddie, Rob and myself now all sit at the same table.
And so Rob was talking with Eddie where their line is, where Rob's stuff can be and where Eddie's stuff can be. And they decided on a specific line, like, you know, the equator or whatever. And then when it came to discussing where my line is, the guys decided they're just going to split up. We're going to rent it to you for a small fee. Women aren't allowed to talk in our new regime. No, this is my area. Well, take it away. Take it away. No, you will not. Shut your mouth. I don't like this, Mike. So there, well, it'll take a little getting used to. But yeah, what we've noticed over. period of time is that when Rob does talk, he's got some funny stuff to say. Plus he has an accent. That's right, and that's great. You all have accents, not me. Do you guys notice when he wears his headphones, there's a cord that should be sort of tucked away that hangs on his forehead? I'll tuck it back throughout the show. I know that that sounds hard to...
That sounds hard to understand. But it's the truth. When you wear headphones, the headphones have a cord. And instead of letting the cord either drop naturally or tuck it away somewhere where you can't see it, he lets it droop on his forehead. It's really strange. It covers up my awkward whatever line this is. Hairline. It goes back on one side. It's like a headband. I'd like to get one myself. Then there is Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates, the third junior Esquire, MD. Rosie. And he is now in his own isolated studio because we decided that what Zeth needed the most was isolation. That'd be good for him. Oh, boy. So Zeth is now in an isolated booth. He is now phone screening. Wow.
So when people call in, they will now talk to Seth, which means that all of the regular people that try to get on the air, that never do, that still try every day, will now be hopeful that they'll get through. Oh, yeah. Good luck. Yeah. Great. Now they're thinking, oh, I'll get through because there's a new phone script. There are people that you've never heard on the air that call Rob every day trying to get on the air, but he doesn't let them through because they don't have anything to say or it doesn't make sense. Drunk. Yeah. What? Come on. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Those are the best. Yeah. 570-1053 is the number. You give us a call at the beginning and end of every show. We do open phones so you can call about anything you want. But, yeah, so there's Zeth's new thing. He's a phone screener now. Rob will still be doing his singer-songwriter duties. You bet, dude. Thinking about some last night. That's right. You know, man, he's coming also. What does that mean? Eh, he'll see. Okay. P1 Papa Driz. Yes. What's up? Hey, I totally stopped shaving because my wife would not stop using my razor. Oh, man. That's gross. I haven't shaved since December. She really likes the men's Moxley razors. Yeah, they work good. And so I told her to go out and buy another one so that she could use it. And I walked in the bathroom one day and saw that she's using the one from my side and just got set up with it. And I haven't shaved since December. Okay.
Why do women want... They prefer our... They prefer it over having their own. I don't. It's not difficult. They prefer to eat off our plate. Yeah, she does. Right, Rob? You're joking, right? Everywhere we went in Denver, Mike didn't even set the plates on the table and you were already taking a bite. Well, I thought we were talking about razors. No, I said everything. Women prefer our stuff. They want our razors. They want our food. We just like to share with everyone. I don't like to use guys' razors. I think that's gross. And I question that. I never have in my life. If it came down to it and she was in a pinch, she would grab Mark's razor so quick and not even ask him and just do it. Yes. No doubt. You guys don't know me. That's right. Women do that. They like our things. They want to wear, you know, women, they want to wear, before going out and buying a pair of boxers, just buying a pair, they want to wear our boxers. That's true. Use our razors. Eat the food off our plate. Oh, because they want to be closer to us, mom. It's true. What's wrong with that? It's so gay. You know what? It's your own stuff.
If you were gay, what's wrong with that? You know what's weird about it? Sounds gay. It doesn't make us feel close. How does that make them feel closer? We don't feel closer to them by them doing that. It's a one-way street, Sky. It don't make us closer. I'm okay with that. You're all right with it? So selfish. Yeah. Ladies. Ladies are selfish. P1 Sunshine. Hello. I just wanted to share that my husband uses my toothbrush and has asked my friends to actually use theirs. That's filthy. That's so disgusting. How? Sarissa, I can't believe you're up this early. Well, he's a Marine. So, like, they share everything and he thinks that he can share everything. No, they don't share that. It started out with... Hello? I'm kidding. They're still here. Sorry. No, it started out like a couple months he'd been using my toothbrush and I never knew about it. And he's like, I really like your toothbrush. Where do we get your toothbrush? I'm like, how do you like my toothbrush? He's like, well, I use it all the time. Oh, man. How does he reconcile that? I wish we could talk to him right now. It's disgusting. It's immoral. It's immoral. I almost have to buy a new toothbrush every day because he uses it all the time. Why can't he have his own?
I don't know. He likes mine, and I bought him his own. And he's like, no, I just like using yours. I'm like, that's gross. That's really gross, man. And I told him before, I'm like, I'm going to stop brushing my teeth. Yeah. You show him. Yeah. How old is he? I'm a very clean person, and I can't stand to not brush my teeth, and he knows that, so he just keeps doing it. Shannannies. You got to buy a decoy. What does that mean? Yeah, what does that mean? You buy a toothbrush that looks, you know, it's identical to your toothbrush, but sprinkle a little something on there. I don't know. Bleach. Something like that. I'm just saying. It could get a hurt. It's terrible. There you go. It doesn't matter what you use. Can't try that. Uh-uh. Sean, no. Gross. I don't see any lines on you. Just follow that.
Hello? Oh, hey, guys. It's Dr. Wayne. Oh, my gosh. Dr. Wayne. Early for you. Yeah. Yeah, I am a local chiropractor in the area. Oh. Specializing in deep tissue and Swedish massage. Which is weird for a chiropractor, but anyway. And, of course, also the chiropractic practice. But, yeah, I was calling to, you know, I love listening to you guys. And after listening for such a long period of time, I kind of feel like we're. All family now, you know. I think a lot of listeners probably get that feeling after listening to you for a while. Wouldn't you guys agree with that? Well, maybe. To a degree, I guess. Well, I was thinking that, you know, maybe we could do like a little radio sketch or something, you know. You don't do sketches. Your sketches there on the radio? I don't even know what you mean by that. What are they called when you do your funny joke? The funny ha-has? Yeah, the segment. I mean, sometimes we do bits. I don't know. Exactly. I got a bit idea here, guys. Okay. All right. And here's the bit idea. I thought, man, how funny would it be if Dr. Wayne used a toothbrush from one of y'all? That would be funny. I don't see the hair. That's gross and weird. What would be the point of that? Well, I just thought it would be, well, just hysterical.
Here's what we'll do. We'll put all of your names into a hopper here. Okay. He does this every time. Put all your names into a hopper here. Do you really want to use Zesty for us? I'll reach in and see whose name I pull out. We know you're going to pull Zesty out. Man, you guys are unbelievable. It's like Dionne Warwick is talking to me right now. I pulled Zeth's name. Zeth, I'll come pick your toothbrush up. Oh, awkward. What, are you going to use it while it's already in his mouth? Oh, that's disgusting. That would be weird. Uh-oh, my wife is calling me. Oh, my gosh. What does she want? Well, I guess she wants to practice making babies, if you know what I'm saying. Okay. I'll see you later. Bye-bye. That's Dr. Wayne. He's a strange guy. That was awkward. He's so gross. He's really a strange guy. 570-1053 is the phone number. And we're doing open phones so you can call about anything you want. Let's see. Melissa is on the line. P1 Melissa, what's up? How you doing? I wanted to share a story that was one of the grossest things I've ever seen. Mom, we took my family to Knott's Berry Farm this weekend and we saw a group of women ranging from about 16 to grandma, obviously all related, sharing a stick of deodorant.
What the hell? No. Yeah. Yeah, Sean wants to move out. And it was just, everybody was, you know, sweating. And we turned around and it was like, are they really doing that? Okay. Oh, my God. I got questions. I got questions. I got questions. Okay. Okay. Okay. Where were you? Like, waiting for a ride at Knott's Berry Farm in a line. You were standing in line? Yes. And you turned around and... sharing deodorant. Grandma took it out of her purse and the next one in line was like, oh, I need some of that too. No. No, Sky. No, you don't. No, you don't. No, you don't. Don't do it, Mike. Don't even cheat. No. Because we're, you know. No. I don't want to be friends with somebody like that. No. As we were discussing it, as we were discussing it, I thought I saw it peripherally and then Eddie confirmed what I saw peripherally.
Sky was giving the, I don't know what the big deal is face. That's so wrong. Come on, but come on. Sky, come. I'd never share deodorant. You would never share deodorant. Never. Okay. Oh, my. So you go over to your girlfriend's house and you forget, like, your deodorant and you've got to go out and you're like, oh. Oh, roll on. Real quick. Real quick. You know where that goes? It's not like you're sharing a tampon. I don't understand what's wrong with that. You can share a shirt which touches your armpit, but you can't share a deodorant which touches your armpit. What's the difference? Do we really have to explain this to you? Seriously, I think you guys are tripping. Wait a minute though, Sky. Doesn't it seem over the line that six women were sharing the same deodorant stick? One right after the other. I mean, especially if they're family. I guess forget it. I guess forget it. I guess we're just different, but I don't see you. They're family different. What's going to happen to me if I use someone else's deodorant? 570-1053. Text us. We can't explain it to her. I'd like you to. Text us at 35253. I'll tell you what it is. Okay, please. What will happen? Well, first of all, what if you get...
Stuff from somebody else on that thing. Like what? Like lint? Like what kind of stuff? Well, like lint, but... A couple of stranglers. Yes, yes. You know what he's saying, Skye. Armpit hair? Is that what you're talking about? Is that what you're talking about? Yes, yes. Well, that doesn't really happen with women. It only happens with men. That's true. Still. But it's sweat. Yeah, now you've got Ashley's sweat on you. Her bacteria and... B.O. and everything that comes up is on that stick. Oh, look at this. P1 Tijuana. Are you there, P1 Tijuana? Yeah, how's it going, man? P1 Tijuana says he shares everything with everyone. Stop it! Including what, P1 Tijuana? I pretty much share the order with my mom, my sister, my girlfriend.
So I'm with Skye on this one. This is a new thing for me. I'm hearing things this morning that I've never known existed. It's not really a big deal. You do it too, Ash. How can she do that? Yeah. Like she's got, you have issues. Yeah, you got armpit issues. You're giving issues to other people. I can't even say that I've done it recently, but in a pinch, if my mom, like if I forgot my deodorant, I'll use my mom's deodorant. My sister is like in a heartbeat. I'd go, I'd go without, I'd go without before using dad's deodorant. Go to the store. You would rather stink like B.O. And explain to people. I'd rather stink and explain. That's gross. I know. And I have issues too. You know that I have issues. I would still rather explain it than take cop's deodorant. I am not rubbing anything on my body that was rubbed on their body. No. That's so foul. Look, you know, Sean has his headphones off. Sean has his headphones off and about every 30, because he's a germaphobe, and every 30 seconds he'll take the headphones, put them up to his right ear just to see if we're still discussing it and then put it down.
Yeah, he's really worked out for you. This is bad for you. It's too early. It's a bad start. P1 T-Rex. Hey, what's happening, everybody? What's going on? I just wanted to call in and congratulations for B-Rob and Zeph's new promotion. There you go. Thanks, T-Rex. There you go. Congratulations. Thanks, T-Rex. We got a great show. First of all, let me give out the important info. Text number 35253. Text us right now. Eddie's grossed out. Our phone number 5701053. Man, I've known an Ashley many, many years. I'm still finding out new things. Stuff that I don't want to find out. I know it. You know what the gas monkey is? Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's Rob dressed as a monkey in a big monkey suit in the Rock 105.3 van. Cruising around San Diego County looking for people with the brand new Mikey Show P1 Army sticker on their car. And then when he sees them, pull them over and he'll come up to the car with a bunch of bananas. And the person driving the car gets to pick a banana and it'll have a gas card taped to it. Worth anywhere between $25 and $250. Now, this morning,
We're going to give you the gas monkey location and what day it's going to happen. Could be today. Could be tomorrow. Could be that we'll do it once a week. Because we're giving away some pretty good dough. Nice. So we will do that coming up in just a little bit. We got Wuss Rock jukebox on the show today. Cell phone mishaps. YouTube clip of the day. Your phone calls. 570-1053. And the obvious weirdness from all your friends. Mikey Show. Francisco in the stand-up spotlight. Show stand-up spotlight. Man, geez. I'm fine. Fine. Fine. Jesus, look at that. Fine. I'm from Casa Grande, Arizona. There's nothing there, you know. Species up there. Hey, what's your name? What's going on? What's your friend's name? Appreciate your show. I try to catch every minute. Thank you, man. We appreciate it. Thank you very much. Rolling Stone Raves. Pineapple Express is hardcore hilarious.
Seth Rogen and James Franco are comedy dynamite. I already have the munchies for more. Talk life. Pineapple Express, in theaters tomorrow. Wednesday? Yeah. I think, oh, don't go in the bathroom when she's coming out. I don't know what it is. You know, the whole thing that I have? But I am very uncomfortable. Yeah, I do not like to answer the phone, and I do not like to talk. Legitimately believe there is a really... Combined with my ADD and the fact that I'm just like a social butterfly, I'm all over the place. The Mikey Show's on. Dude, you took a second, you thought about it. Sheboygan! Uh-huh. Still the guy that puts in the music beds, or does that job now go to Zeth? Yeah, it's all in Zeth's hands. Wow. Well, they've switched roles, Zeth and Boston. It's working so far. That's right. Welcome. It is 640. We have some more details today about the Morgan Freeman car crash. It turns out he broke his arm and elbow and got minor shoulder damage in the crash. All was quiet with the gorgeous Brett Favre yesterday. Oh, wow. Coach Mike McCarthy canceled his press conference to hold discussions with Brett. Wouldn't I want to trade positions with him? Oh, wow, wow, wow. Oh, wow and wow.
I need to check in with Eddie. I want to know kind of the state. Please. A lot going on, Mike. Yesterday we heard that he got a lawnmower. First time he used it, tall grass, didn't see the sprinkler head, completely destroyed the sprinkler head, jammed the lawnmower, couldn't get it started. So where are we with that? Okay. So put the lawnmower away. You know, yesterday I was running around doing stuff and decided, you know what, I'm going to see if I can start it today. So I screwed around with it, messed around, did a couple things that some P1s suggested, and it started. Nice. All right, well, now I can finish my half-mowed lawn. Yeah. You know, it looks like a freaking mohawk. So I go out and I start doing it. It runs for like, you know, two minutes maybe. Stops. No. What the heck?
Able to start it again, runs for about two minutes, stops. I'm like, uh-uh, I'm done. That's it. I'm furious. So I throw that sucker in my truck, drive it to Home Depot, and say, you know what? I want to return this. No way. And they said, yeah, we'll take it back. You just got to take all the fuel out of it. I said, all right, no problem. Home Depot's like Nordstrom, so he'll take anything back. Yeah, it was cool. I mean, I had the receipt and everything, so. Why did you take it back? I needed, my intent was to get a new one. Yeah. And just because that one obviously not working for me. Right. But Debra says to me, you know what? Do you want to have somebody do the yard for us? And it was like a warm shower came over me and I said, yes. Please, can we hire somebody? I am not cut out for this. I'm bad at it. Not only did the lawnmower incident happen, but I would have to buy an edger and all these things that I'm not good at. But when she said, do you want somebody to do it? Yes, let's do that. And I won't have to worry about it anymore. See, there's too much Italian in you.
That means there's not enough Mexicans. You know what I mean? I know. Well, I mean, you know, when I was a kid, that was one of my chores is to mow lawn. I don't mind it. But, man, I just, you know, I got a lot of other fish to fry. So I'm like, please, let's just do that. Yeah, I don't do mine. I don't do mine because I never enjoyed it as a kid. I was way too lazy to mow a lawn. It's not my favorite thing. Plus I got allergies and I'm like out there sneezing. That's brutal. It was a mess yesterday. I am not enough to do these sorts of things at my place. I don't think I am either. It's a case of let someone else take care of that. Well, you know, listen, I'm half Mexican. I want to help out my compadres. And there's plenty of people looking for work out there. So I'm helping the community. It's a service, Eddie. Wow, just giving back to the community. That's right. Or Rob, if you want to come over for five bucks, we got it, buddy. I'll be there Friday. That's right. 570-1053 is our phone number if you want to call us. Uh,
We'll do open phones to start out the show so you can call us about any host of things that you'd like to discuss. Lars Ulrich, the drummer for Metallica, is talking about what they're trying to do for their fans. Cut 47. We're trying hard to just not fall into or stay in just one particular way. We have a bunch of people around us that are really helping. The main thing really is just... the fans. You know, it's like, how do you communicate with your fans? How do you get the music to the fans? How do you offer your fans the best Metallica experience that you can? Metallica. It's so ironic that he can't really say the name of his own band. He's from, where, Denmark or something? He's Danish, I think. Well, he wears wooden shoes, you know. So that's a tip-off right there.
5701053. The text number is 35253, which means that now Rob is going to be in charge of getting me the text messages. Getting all set up. That's right. He's going to be the guy to take a look at that. You know, Reader's Digest did this thing telling you that there are some things that you need to know about your waiter. What does that mean? That was kind of a surprise to me. Like, Sean has had a rough morning. Are we really going to do this? That's a great point. He's our friend. He's upset. Sean, I'm sorry. It's been tough. Listen, this is good for him to know. They say, and this is from waiters, okay? They say, avoid eating out on holidays and Saturday nights, if at all possible. They say... It's an issue of sheer volume. And that because the volume of customers is so high, it guarantees that most kitchens are going to be pushed beyond their ability. And it gets a little harder to produce high-quality dishes. Because they're pushed. This is another one that's important to know, Sean, and everybody listening, is that you've got to understand that a busboy with a kid to support
Usually doesn't want to stay home and miss out on $100 just because of a little case of strep throat. That is true. It's $100 we're talking about here. Oh, Sean, that one got him. That one looked like it was almost as if. Yeah, you're not salaried. You're not getting any paid sick days. So you got to go to work. They do say, please, by all means, do not engage in any personal attacks on the waiter. Why would you ever do that? Don't not tip well and then come back. Don't do that. Definitely do not tip well and then go back. Sean, did you know that you should not not tip well and then go back? Did you know that? I don't know if you were aware of that rule, but they're saying that if you do, you know, you got to be really careful. Yeah, Sean.
Look, nothing's going to stop me from tipping appropriately. Okay. Appropriately, by the way. You know what he means by appropriate? Yes, I do. He holds waiters and waitresses to a much higher standard than most of us do. I wouldn't say that. Yeah. I would say that where someone would tip inappropriately, I would tip appropriately. Some people feel that no matter what the level of service, if it's awful or if it's... Barely acceptable. They should get the same tip. And I say, no, they shouldn't actually. You hold the waiters responsible for the way the restaurant is arranged. You hold them responsible for the other people who are dining in the restaurant. That is true. That is true. All these things. How's that? These things are true. Remember P.F. Chang's, bro? What? Remember the tables were too close and then there was a baby that was staring at you? He said the baby was staring him down. Not just me. Me and my wife.
Hey, Sean, tell the story about you, your wife, and your cat. So we have a cat that's a Himalayan, so it has really thick fur. It's a Himalayan? Yeah, it's a Himalayan. The cat actually comes from the Himalayan mountains? That's where it originates? That's why it has a thick coat. Is it a bobcat? For real? It's almost like a Persian. Wow. So it has a really thick coat. The problem with this cat is it's slow. Mentally, it's kind of a slow cat. For real? Yeah, for real. How did you get this cat when it was a kitten? Yeah, we did. You noticed right away? Yeah, because he'll go in a corner and just meow directly into the corner. Until you go over there and say, hey, hey, we're over here. That's not a ghost.
Hey, hey, kitty, that's a corner. The world is still available to you. Wow. So as a result, and this is why I don't like him, he doesn't wash properly. Oh, okay. So every year we have to take him in and get him cut. And we get like this lion cut. Yeah. Where they practically shave his whole body, but they kind of leave his head and the lower half of his legs. That's hysterical, and I want to see pictures. Oh, dude, it's the funniest thing. I put it on my blog. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen. Is it there now? Yeah, it's there right now. MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com, and then go to blogs. But the crazy thing now is because the cat's getting pretty old. And so we just had his cut done this year, and we get the cat back, and we see that he's got man boobs. The cat has man boobs. Oh, that's hysterical. Oh, my gosh. Are you guys seeing this? Eddie, are you there? Dude. He's a little bra. Dude. Just like an A cup.
I get this cat back and I'm like, what am I supposed to do with this? Dude, that's outrageous. He's like an old man. He is like an old man and his gut is the same way. Like he's got this total... He's got this total... Please. Sorry. Please go to the internet right now. Go to MikeyShow.com M-I-K-E-Y S-H-O-W and look at Sean's cat. God, man. And boobs. He's got moobs. He's so cute. You gotta see it. You gotta see it. It's fantastic. Oh, it's the best. You gotta go look at that. Stupid cat.
Hopefully we'll get rid of him this year. We won't have to deal with him anymore. Alive. You'll be devastated. Whatever. Eddie, it looks like Steve Smith, who's suspended for two games from the Carolina Panthers, which is good news for the Chargers since they opened their season against the Panthers. And Steve Smith is pretty good. So it's good that he's going to be out the first two games. But he got into a fight with one of his own teammates. Helmet's off. Steve Smith. Slugged him in the face. Yeah, broke his nose. So what's the latest? Well, he apologized, you know. He feels bad about it and returned to practice yesterday. And this is what he had to say. It's cut 53. I'd like to apologize to the organization, to the coaches, to my teammates, to my family. But I will not allow this moment.
This woman in a book of life to define me or, you know, despite what people may write or say, I made a bad decision. I accept my responsibilities or my actions. That's all good. Hey, listen, in my book, It's All Good, I screwed up real bad. He screwed up real bad. And he says, sorry, I shouldn't have done that. Yeah, the guy that he punched actually. He accepted the apology and actually believes there's a silver lining, cut 54. I feel like what happened was a blessing in disguise. I think it's something that has brought this team closer together. You all may sound crazy for saying that, but I really think it's bigger than me and Steve. And me and Steve have talked man-to-man, one-on-one, and we still have some more talking to do as far as the discrepancies of what we feel like. the issues are between us. We're going to hang on there as men, but as far as this incident holding this team back, I don't feel like it's going to do so. I think it's only going to make us better and bring us closer as a team and work towards the ultimate goal of winning this trophy this year. You think that they're upset at each other and that Ken Lucas upset at Steve Smith. How do you think Sean's cat feels about him and Dina? He's about a B-cup. He just exposed.
That's right. Ow, you've got to see this photograph. It is. 570-1053 is the phone number. Get him a shirt or something. Oh, please. Like a little kitty wife beater. And from the looks of it, like a 12-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon. When we come back, we're going to announce the Gas Monkey location. You want gas? You want to see Rob and a monkey? Rock 105.3 is 703.
The governor is proposing a one-cent sales tax increase to help with the California budget. The Brewers Prince Fielder and pitcher Manny Parra got into a shoving match in the dugout yesterday. Yeah, dude, I was seeing the clip of it, and it looks pretty spicy. Yeah, I guess Manny, he got removed and was coming off the mound, and he was mad. And he was, I guess, headed right to the clubhouse instead of... Most pitchers hang out in the dugout, at least watch the last inning, the inning that they were coming out of and finish up and all that stuff. But he was really peeved, and so he was headed back to the clubhouse. And I guess Prince Fielder, who's kind of the leader of the team, he's the all-star on that team, said, hey, man, you need to stick around and at least watch your boy and make sure everything's cool. And the guy said something back to him, and it got chippy, and Prince Fielder wasn't having it. Started shoving him and had to be pulled off of him by teammates. Right in the middle of the dugout in the middle of the game. Oh, my God. That is crazy, man. It's unreal. It doesn't usually happen. No. But what about this? Yeah. Oh, yeah. I think Boston Rob in a monkey suit. Yes. Yeah. All right. We're going to dress him like a monkey, and we're going to send him out in the Rock 105.3 van. I love it.
And he's going to be looking for people with the brand new Mikey Show P1 Army sticker on their car. Now, he's going to be giving away free gas cards. Between $25 and $250, they're going to be strapped to bananas. And so he'll pull you over. He'll walk up to your car. He'll say, hey, you want a banana? You pick a banana, and then there you go. That's awesome. Now. If you don't have that sticker on your car, you need to get one. And the place to get them is either here at the radio station or at Cricket. Well, I have update. Yeah? There has been a crazy run on the stickers at the Cricket stores. Really? So you may be able to find them at certain stores, but most of them, they're out. Are you serious? Yeah, they're gone. And so Jay is like working desperately right now with Cricket to try and get them in more stores. Because... People just snatched them all up. I mean, there was tons of them. Wow. Holy cow. Yeah. So definitely you can get your sticker here at the radio station during business hours, but maybe call your cricket before you go in there. Yeah, you know, some of the major ones still have them. You know, there's a bunch of different stores, you know. Right. But yeah, they're trying to get them in most of the stores again. Okay. There it is. Wow. That's crazy. Get the new sticker on your car because you want the gas monkey to pull you over. Yeah, you would. All right.
Here is the time and location for the gas monkey for this week. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Ladies and gentlemen, the gas monkey will be out Thursday morning in the 7 o'clock area in Hellcrest. Hellcrest. There you go. Tending out bananas in Hellcrest? That's right. There it is, ladies and gentlemen. Wow. So, 7 a.m. hour on Thursday. In Hillcrest. I love it. That's right. Now, do we know, like, what's up with the gas monkey? Is the gas monkey just going to be hitting freeways, only hitting side streets, or all of it? Let me tell you something. It doesn't matter. If I were to give you that information. Well, I don't know. Yeah, why don't we tell you what street he's in? Exactly. No, I'm just saying. Do we need to be on the freeway? Do we need to be on the freeway? All I'm going to tell you. Pretty calm down. The gas monkey can be anywhere at any time. Okay. And he will pull you over.
Now, make sure it's the Rock 105.3 van. Don't be pulling over for some Chevy Nova. He'll be in the Rock 105.3 van. That's how you're going to know that it's him. And we'll do this day after Tamale. 7 o'clock in the morning. Inhale, Crest. JetBlue's going to start charging people $7 for a blanket and pillow. Oh, no. What? Airlines are starting to charge for everything, I know. $7? Yeah. I know when we were flying back from Denver this past weekend, Ashley had extra stuff. And so she was going to check a second bag. And the guy was like, you know, it costs $25 to check a second bag. And Ashley's like, what? And so she was trying to rearrange everything and shove it in her bag. $25 for an extra bag. Redispose. But JetBlue. That's not the word.
Yeah, yeah, that, you know, disperse, dispose. Yeah, JetBlue is the first to start charging for pillows and blankets. That is so terrible. That's ridiculous. Yeah, you can get a travel blanket and pillow kit for just $7 on flights longer than two hours on JetBlue. But the blankets and pillows on planes suck. Yeah, maybe, I don't know. On your own. Yeah, they're those, like, paper pillows. That's not even a real pillow. It's like the blue paper pillow. Better than jail. That's true. That is true, Rob. That's a good point. I always travel with a sweatshirt. Cardinal rule right there. Is it? You don't? No. But I don't travel with a just-in-case backpack either. That is a fact. Who does that? Rob does. Rob does. He travels with a just-in-case backpack. That's all he took to boot camp was his just-in-case backpack. Well, I get a whole thing about that. What is it? Just men shouldn't have to check baggage. Men. I love it. Just men. Yeah. So you're saying that a manly man will wear dirty underwear. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. What is he doing? He's sacrificing somewhere. He brings like the duffel bag, you know, and like a backpack. Yeah. And what he's, what this little sweetie here doesn't understand is that when you grow up, you get luggage. You get a luggage, yeah.
I know, I know, honey. Men of all ages, unless you're gone for over two weeks, two weeks, 14 days. Sweetheart, when you get married, my angel, my little darling, you're getting married soon, and one of the things you're probably going to register for is luggage. Trust me, you're going to have a wife, and she's going to say, oh, really, you're going to have that duffel bag? Get out of here, you. Do you take a duffel bag and a backpack? Yeah. He might as well put all that stuff in a suitcase. He just thinks that's more manly. It's actually convenient, Rob, to roll a bag than have to carry a duffel bag. The backpack just serves as books, pens, anything that I might need on the fly. Crayons. Highlights. A couple of issues of highlights. The duffel bag is for clothing. You know what? You might be right. I might come back to you in a year and go, hey, look, I got some luggage. He's got flashcards in there with a giraffe, frog, snake. You always got to be learning. Exactly. The Extreme Makeover House is facing foreclosure. Is this the one from San Diego? No, this is one in Georgia that was done in 2005. Don't they pay for it?
Well, yeah, you get the house. Like, it's all taken care of. But these people took a loan out against the house for $450,000 to try and start a construction business. Oh, boy. That didn't work out. And so now they got this little mini mansion. is now in foreclosure. It was designed specifically for them. That is terrible. People donated money and volunteered their time to make sure these people had a beautiful home. That's awful. It's really bad. Paula Abdul canceled her Today Show performance for the second time this year. Yeah. So you know how she had that new song out, Dance Like There's No Tomorrow? How could I forget? It was so good. It was just a jam. Do we have it in the system, Ash? Sure we do. Dance like there's no tomorrow? Yeah, it'll take me a sec to load songs. I'll find it. But yeah, so she was supposed to perform back in April on the Today Show with her new big hit single, but at the last minute had to postpone it due to, quote, production commitments. So they rescheduled her for the end of this month, the end of August, and she just sent them another note saying that, oh, shucks, I can't perform live because I have commitments with American Idol.
At the same time. She doesn't even show for that. I know. What's up? Well, because she can't perform live. Yeah, she's too messed up. The singing or the messed up. I think all of it. All of it? Yeah. Crazy. That's too bad. Yeah. Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards are fighting over vaccinations. Yeah. Boy, these two. Everything. They fight over everything. They can't agree on anything. It doesn't matter what it is. They're going to fight over it. What brand of bread is okay for the kids? Exactly. He wants Iron Kids and she wants Wonder. So I'm sure it's going to be no surprise to you which half of the couple is against vaccines. Charlie. Yeah, Charlie, right? Because he thinks 9-11 was an inside job. Yeah, so he didn't want the kids to get the vaccinations, but Denise Richards took them anyways to the doctor. And, of course, Charlie pays all the bills, all the doctor's bills and everything. So he got a doctor's bill for giving the girls their vaccination and sent the payment to the doctor in all quarters. Like it's the doctor's fault.
Right, so a box filled with quarters, about 7,600 quarters were sent to the doctor to prove some sort of point. And so the doctor says that he will be donating all the quarters to the March of Dimes. You know. Should donate in the March of Quarters. Right. That would make more sense. That would make way more sense. It really would. Ladies and gentlemen, dance like there's no tomorrow. And thank you. And there it is. Musical year. There she is. There she goes. 570-1053. That's our phone number and our text number is 35253. And two crashes on the South 15 have been cleared. But the commute out of Escondido, man, it's been tough this morning. Traffic's at a crawl from El Norte Parkway.
On the South 15. And the East 78 is also damage done there because of these crashes on the 15. That's slow from Barham. And then in Vista, Esconido Avenue on-ramp to the East 78. Two vehicles on the right there. This is Mike Hancock with traffic on Rock 105.3. From the Cricket Wireless Studios. San Diego's Rock. It's another Mikey moment. You guys know how I'm into gardening and all that stuff? So I got a peach tree that gave the most delicious peaches in the world, but they have little worms in them. Right at the pit. Why?
If it isn't Ocho Cinco. Oh, he's back. Chad Johnson practiced in his first full practice, participated in it. How about him? Ocho Cinco. 570-1053 is our phone number. Give us a call. Our text number is 35253. I had this idea. Here's the idea behind how'd you do it. Specifically, I had... I had the thought about how there's just certain stuff that people do and sometimes they're really good at it that I'm just really curious. How'd you do it? How'd you do that? Let me give you, for instance, right now, because of the economy and because of real estate here in San Diego, it's like the worst time for people in real estate, right? Like if you work in the mortgage business, that's what I mean. It's kind of, it's a, it's a tough time. It's a buyer's market. Like if you're buying a house, you could do really good, right?
But a lot of times the people in the mortgage business, they're having a hard time because people are afraid to do stuff. There's a lot of foreclosures. Sky, what was that deal with like Countrywide? Like they had some deal where they were charging people too much, right? So predatory lending is what they're accused of. Exactly. So you know what I'm talking about here. So if you made it in the mortgage industry during this period of time, how'd you do it? Now, there's other ones, too. I'm going to throw some ideas out there. And if you have one, call me and tell me, how'd you do it? Another one. You got a kid in their 20s in college, didn't do drugs, didn't get pregnant, didn't get arrested. And they're doing really good. How'd you do it? You've been married for 35 years. How'd you do it? I mean, listen, if you're like me and my wife.
Every once in a while, you get into it and you think at that moment, I don't want to see this person ever again. You're so mad in the moment. How'd you do it? It's a very simple concept. So there's and like I said, there's a lot of different things. You've been married a long time. You raised a great kid. You're working in the mortgage industry and somehow we're able to do it. Maybe you hated somebody. Now you're really good friends. How'd you do it? And it may be one that I haven't even mentioned. Maybe it's one that you realize, you know, that was pretty tough and somehow I did it. My wife was a smoker. I mean, pack a day smoker, never did any exercise. Like she didn't walk, she didn't go do, she didn't do any of that. No gym, anything.
And this month, she's running in a 5K. And next year, she's going to be running 13 miles, a half marathon. Dang. And she lost a whole bunch of weight. That's impressive. Yeah. How'd you do it? There's a guy on the phone right now in the mortgage business. He says, P1 Brad, what's up? Hey, Mikey. How you doing this morning? Good. You made it, right? Yeah, we're making it right now. I work with my dad's mortgage company. The way that you make it work, you learn about this business. If you're doing good business and you're making good loans, people still talk. So they tell other people. Exactly. And you've got to stay. If you keep doing good business and you treat people good, your business stays up and active. You've got to keep at it, though. Keep marketing. Keep getting the word out. But at the same time, like Mike, you know, you had said about purchases, you know, yeah, purchases are slow right now. It's a great time for buyers. But people always, and when it's a time like this when the economy is kind of not looking good, this is a time when people look at the equity in their homes and they pull cash out. So they refinance and do a better rate and pull some cash out for some reserve funds. Is that good for you or bad for you?
It's good for us because we can stay busy, but the point is people can panic and take out a bad loan that's not better than the one that they already have just to get the money. And it's got to be your responsibility as a good loan officer and just as a good human being to not let them have that loan if it's going to put them in the tank. You should just pay with gold. Yes. Let's bring back cougar hands. Right. Yeah, that's what I say. How about this one? Things between you and your wife weren't that spicy. Now they're super spicy. Oh, super spice. How'd you do it? Anything that seems like an obstacle or anything that seems like it might be difficult. How'd you do it? Yesterday, Eddie learned a whole bunch of stuff about how to get that lawnmower started. Yeah. It didn't really work, but I did my best. I thought you said you started. I got it started, but it didn't. It didn't stay started. I wonder what it was. I don't know. It was a jerk. You can say it. It was a jerk. No. Yeah. It was a jerk. Bad attitude. 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. I'd love to hear the one about the kid. You got a kid.
That stayed out of trouble, didn't do drugs, didn't get arrested, didn't get pregnant. Now they're in college. They got straight A's. How'd you do that? What did you do? That's what I want to know. That's my brother. Yeah. Same folks, right? Yeah. Same folks, but Ashley was different. Yeah. Something went wrong. Somewhere. We're using the word different. She just got out of prison, you know, Ashley. She's working real hard at it. There's issues. Yeah. P1 Jennifer is on the line. Jennifer, are you there? Yes, I am. You raised a 21-year-old, right? Yes, I did. Boy or girl? Girl. Never got knocked up? No. Didn't do drugs? No. Didn't get any DUI? No. Didn't have a boyfriend that you didn't know where she was and she came back two weeks later? No. In fact, she's had the same boyfriend since eighth grade. Wow. Awesome. She in college? She's in college. She's a youth leader at her church. How'd you do it? You know what? I don't know because my son is driving me crazy. See, Ashley's right. One could go right and the other one could go wrong because they're different. My son is 13 and I'm ready to pull my hair under my head. She's just such a good girl and she's paying for her own way through school.
What's the 13-year-old up to? Tell me about the 13-year-old. What does the 13-year-old do? Huh. He'll, like, bring his friends over. He's more artistic. He'll, like, bring his friends over. He gets them to do stuff on video. He downloads it to his iMac, and then he'll, you know, he'll do stuff to it. Yeah. So he's, yeah, but he's still, he's the one who's mousy and, oh, my God, I want homework. I never had to worry. Thank you for the call. Yeah, you know, my wife, she has brought up the idea of more kids and stuff. And I'm kind of afraid of it because of that. Jake is great, man. You can tell that my kid just has a really good little character. We'll be in the backyard or something, and he'll start messing with something that I don't want him to mess with. And I'll go, Jake, no. And he'll stop, immediately stop. And I'll go, come here. Come here, buddy. And he'll walk over to me.
And I just think to myself, man, I know the next one is going to give me the bird and throw his beer at me. And then get in his little car and speed off. It's a big wheel. It's a big wheel. Because they say that they're always different. Like one is different from the next kid. Ash, you were middle, right? Weren't you middle? Yeah. And it's such a trip, Mike, because my older brother and my younger sister, who's... 20 months younger than me, have never in their life touched a drug, a cigarette, like straight A student, perfect. Yeah. I mean, whistle clean, perfect. Both of them, perfect. Yeah. And then there's me. So there's three, right? There's your oldest brother, you, and then your little sister. Yeah. And they're similar. Yeah, they're similar in the sense that they never mess up. They've never messed up. Still to this day, don't mess up. See, part of it then isn't going to be parents, how'd you do it. It's who the kid is. Yeah. Big time. Ay-yi-yi, right? Forget it. Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi. Mikey Show, hello. What's up? Nothing much. How are you doing? Good. I had something about Mikey having another kid. Yep, you're on the air. Okay. I have two kids. My daughter, I thought, was...
the best kid ever until I had my son. And he is totally laid back. He's nine months old. Doesn't cry, doesn't fuss. My daughter's the more dramatic one. So they can be like night and day. Yeah, so, but they're both good. Is that what you're saying? They're both really good. And it's, I mean, you won't regret it because the first time when the second kid gets old enough to start playing with the first, it melts your heart because that's where my son is right now. They're just starting to play with each other right now. Like he gets in his walker and she'll go to the end of the hall and he follows her to the end of the hall and she starts cracking up laughing and he starts cracking up laughing. If my wife's listening to this right now, we got trouble. Yeah, she's hearing this. We got trouble. It's the best feeling in the world just to see that happen. And I know as they get older, they'll play even more. All right. All right. Thank you. Yeah, thank you. Thanks for the talk. I think she's got more to say. Oh, we got disconnected. I don't know what happened there. It's suddenly couldn't hear her anymore. 5701053 is our phone number. Text number is 35253. And we got a little Wuss Rock jukebox on the way for you.

Forbes list of top earning teens of last year. Duh. Simi Mimey. Yep. Smimey Myrus is, uh, gotta be number one. Yeah. Miley Cyrus, uh, tied for the number one slot, bringing in $25 million last year. Uh, so you can be like 19, right? Yeah. And be a teen? Yeah. Okay. Shia LaBeouf. That helps a lot. Uh, What about Penny from Good Times? Yeah, is she on there? Oh, yeah. Remember, she got burned with a curling iron but tried to blame it on something else. But Malona was able to look through. Malona, yes. That's right. A thousand points for Malona. Thank you. About Buffalo Butt. Buffalo Butt was great. He was the, what did they call him? The super. He was a super. Or some super-sized coveralls when he would come into the apartment. Buffalo Butt. So, are you saying, Sky, that Shia LaBeouf or Penny are not on the list? Is that what you're trying to convey to me? These are the things I'm telling you. Oliver from Brady Bunch. Yep, is he on there? Check it out. That Abigail chick. Abracadabra. Abigail chick. Mike Seaver. Decoja Fanning. From that Sunshine movie. Sky, check it. No, Abigail Breslin is not on the list. Who, Rob? Mike Seaver.
Yeah, Mike Seaver, check it out. Check it. It's too soon. I think it's too soon. It's way still too soon. It's probably still. Jaleel White. How old was Heath Ledger? It's way too old. He could be in the category. The number two. Why are you freaking out? Soon. The Harry Potter kids. Daniel Ratcliffe is tied for first place with Miley Cyrus making $25 million. Dang. What's up? Do you know anything about chocolate? For some reason, these girls are number three on the list. They are not teenagers. Also twins. Yes, but they have an empire that focuses on teens. So, for some reason, Forbes put them in the number three spot. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen making $15 million. Always teenagers in my eyes. That doesn't make any sense. It doesn't. I just went and double-checked it because I'm like, that doesn't... Well, fine, LeBron Jameson. No, no. Donnie and Marie. They're the only ones. So number four and number five, Warren Buffett. Both guys. Both very popular right now. What about the entire student body at Poway High? This one's going out to all of you, you little drug-using hippies. My name is Neil Diamond and I'm here to rock the house at Torrey Pines. Now why do I come here to talk to all you kids here at Piedmont High School? The reason I do it is because I want to let all you know how much I care and that I don't want you to do drugs. Even though I know half of you have VD for not wearing condoms. Let me tell you something. When I first wrote Cracklin' Rosie...
Yes. Get it. I was writing it about an ex-girlfriend of mine whose name was Rosie. Okay. She OD'd on black tar heroin. Oh, I don't know if that's true. And if it is true, you shouldn't bring that up. One of the saddest things I ever had to experience my entire life. Please. But it's good reason for you to not do it yourselves, you bunch of disgraceful little punk monkeys. That's not even okay. All of you people are a bunch of Coronado hippies. What? Coronado? Sharing your deodorant and sniffing bacon powder like a bunch of... Get this guitar out of here. Get this away from me. Play a song for all you kids here at Grossmont High School that came to see old Neil Diamond, old Uncle Neil speak to you today. I just want to share with you... Yes, that's right. No, that's where you were supposed to start singing. When it began...
No, you noticed. Why don't we start it again? What do you think? Why don't you get this stupid guitar out? Here through my right earphone. Can somebody get him a monitor? What's the problem, dude? Give me some more treble. Let's try it again. Let's try it again for you kids here at Grossmont. I'm going to sing a song that has a lot to do with life lessons. I'm doing it with my blue jeans. Here we go. Quit taking speed. Quit drinking red balls and tonic. Some Frankenstein energy drinks, you bunch of mongrel little pigs. That's not even a thing. It's not real. Why are you gross? You got chicken grease all over your little grimy fingers. You're eating your Taco Bell and all your fast food. Bunch of non-condom work. Get this guitar in my face. Rob, can you get a new one? I'm a stupid manager. Where is he, you fat balding? I don't know.
No, don't get personal. Forever in blue jeans, all right? This is a song that I wrote one time for my fiancée. Right before she turned gay with Ellen and the two of them ran off together to Fort Waimee. That's going to be sad. The song goes like this. Hey, super freaks. Riding high on the Pineapple Express. I know your druggie lingo. You're a bunch of Seth Rogen watching. Oh, you're so hip. Flipped out lesbos. Let me tell you something else. Get this stupid guitar. What are you doing? I got something. Neil has something to share with you all. But before I do, I want to play a little Cracklin' Rosie. What do you think about this? This song has a good message in it. Take this one to the weed store. Pick up your eyeball medicine and snort it right. Right up your nose. You're a bunch of dirty hoes. All of you kids are drunk on your strawberry wine.
Kids are drinking tonic. It's another name for Bartles and James. No, it's not. Get this stupid thing out of here. I don't play for you anymore. They don't even make Bartles and James anymore. Forget it. Make Bartles and James anymore. Don't bring that up. Forget it. Forget it. He's already upset. Ladies and gentlemen. From the top. One more time. I'm going to put on my sequin cape. Oh, this is nice. That is cool. Tie it up on the back. All right, I got it. I can still wear velveteen pants and sing with the best of them, and I do it, and I do it for one reason. What? What's that? It's for all you kids here at Hoover High. Oh. He just doesn't know where he's at. He's actually Poway. Oh, that's weird. My manager, Maury, used to be able to find the finest cocaine regardless of the city we played in. That's an interesting one.
But that didn't get me anywhere. And that's why I'm here at Hoover High School to sing this to you kids. Do it. Kids, you're a bunch of filthy kids. And Uncle Neil might have to get his belt out and satisfy some punishment around here. Sorry, Uncle Neil is here to break out a pint of Old Harp. Sorry, Uncle Neil is here. You people know that Maury built me out of... Come on, you fat manager. You built me out of $4 million. He did? Why? Why is he still your manager? Bunch of jerks. I'll see you all later. Here's another Mikey moment. Hey, P1 Jesse, what did you do? I was driving down the 76, and you know those giant swarms of bees? They just travel around. I had my windows down, and it flew right through my windows all over me. That happened with me when I was working back in Mass. I was with my boy Meatball. Oh, boy. He attracts bees. Yeah. He's a meatball. He attracts all insects. Dude, if you're covered in marinara, what do you expect? Come on. Come on.
To his credit, he wasn't covered with marinara yet. He was just ground beef back then. That's right. Lean ground beef. He was 80-20. Now back to the Mikey Show. Rock 153. Thanks for that new Owen Brothers movie with Brad Pitt, Clooney. What's that lady that was in Fargo? Frances McDormand. Is it the... Benjamin Button? No, no, no. No, that's the David Fincher movie. Okay. This one is Coen Brothers, and Brad Pitt looks like he plays a nerd. Really? Yeah, which is kind of hard to buy. Yeah. Because he's not really a nerd. Uh-uh. But the movie actually looked kind of funny. Yeah. John Malkovich is in it. Wow. It's a pretty star-studded cast. Wow. Eight o'clock.
Silver Strand Beach, which is the last public beach in San Diego County where booze is still allowed, is now considering a booze ban. Well, Mike, you mentioned Brad Pitt. I'm going to mention Brett Favre. Thank you very much. Oh, well then. Well, it was a weird day, quiet day for the Brett Favre saga yesterday. Nothing really went down except Coach Mike McCarthy canceled the press conference to hold the discussions with Brett privately. Oh. Beautiful big browns. That's right. The ruggedness of the five o'clock shadow. Oh, please. That's weird. Handsome. Very odd. I want to know what happened in that, what they talked about. Where is Brett going to end up? Is Brett Favre going to be a backup quarterback? No way. Come on, that can't happen, right? No way. It's not possible. Sky has a list of eight people who will ruin your party. Yeah. Ashley. Wow, no. All she gave you, Eddie, was blinking?
A little bit of a sideways smirk, and that's all she gave you. What was that supposed to mean? It was the look on the face. These aren't specific names. These are like types of people. I'll tell you who will kickstart the party. Who? Me and Rob. What's up? That's what I'm talking about. You bet. You can hire us out, dude. We'll come to your party. We'll show up. That's what I'm talking about. And we'll liven it up. Thank you very much. We'll call the party starters. What's up? BeRobAndEddie.edu. Yep. You hire us for anything. Slash org. Yep. It's the most ridiculous thing. And we'll go to your party, liven it up, and then you pay us in pretzels and beer. Oh, okay. We're good, and we'll take off. Minus the pretzels. Yeah. Hold the pretzels. Okay, so number eight. What are you talking about? Yeah, what is it? What are we talking about? These are like types of people, like people who are known for doing this thing. Oh. It's not like a specific person's name. It's like when we did the list of the type of people you'll find in Starbucks. Give me the first one and I'll know what you're talking about. Number eight is the person who insists on cleaning up your party while it's still going on. That's the girl right here. And Rebecca. And my wife. My wife insists on cleaning up dinner before it's done being made. That is a true story. I will literally...
B, I will literally cut something with a knife, okay? And let's say I was chopping up onions on a cutting board. I'll chop the, Eddie, I don't even know if you know this, so I'll chop the onions, right? And I'll take the onions and I'll put them in a little bowl and that's what, you know, they're going to go on the table. And then let's say I need to chop up a tomato. I will turn around and the cutting board and the knife will be gone. And I'll go, where is the cutting board and the knife? They're put away. They've been washed and put away. Holy cow. And five minutes has gone by. Five minutes has gone by. You like it. I've gotten... It's so much more work for you than wait until dinner is prepared and then... You're not trying to help. You don't want it dirty. You're anal and you want it clean. You have issues. You're not helping. It doesn't come from a place of good. Yes, it does not. It comes from a place of evil. It comes from a place of evil. It does not. It comes from a place of... I can't stand it being cluttered. True. For me, it's I don't want to clean up after. When I'm done with my meal, I want to be able to relax. He's not done using it. You're going to have to clean it again. I think that's a little extreme. Yes, it is. What about the double dipper? The double dipper is not on the list. The double dipper is bad. I do it all the time and I don't care. I don't have a problem with it. When Eddie does it, I don't have a problem with it.
We're all friends here. Like what? Carrots. I can't eat a carrot without the ranch. Now imagine you look into the ranch and you see just that tiny little sliver of carrot that came from your teeth. It happens. You're okay with that, but you won't share deodorant. No, I won't. I'm not eating your armpit. How about this? How about the guy at the party that uses your bathroom? No, Mike. In a dirty way? Sure. It happens every party. For sure. Someone will have to. Someone has to go. The guy that gets too drunk. Number seven is the guy who gets wasted in the first hour. I'm sorry, alright? I'm thirsty. What do you want to do? So what if I came drunk? How about the guy that brings alcohol and takes alcohol? He brings his stuff, he takes his stuff. I hate that guy. The guy that uses your dishes.
Number six. We have like party cups out and he doesn't want a party cup. He goes in your cupboard. Number six is the person who only knows you. If you're throwing the party, this person only knows you and doesn't know anybody else. What's wrong with that? Yeah, I don't find out what a problem is. That ruins the party. Right. Jeez. Yeah. Get out of here, stranger. This article has a picture that goes along with each one. And so the picture for that one is some chick just standing against the wall. Well, why is that bad? Can you meet some new friends? But they don't. They don't want to. No. That awkward person who like won't socialize and is just there and it makes you feel uncomfortable as the host because you're like, I should be making sure that they're making time. I can't relate because that's me. Yeah. I can't relate. That's why I don't invite you to any of the parties. But I don't feel like I'm bothering anybody. You ruin the party. Because you ruin it. I don't think I'm bothering. I'm just standing. It's annoying. Awkwardly. Awkwardly. Socially strange. Making everyone extreme. Yeah. Socially oddly standing in the corner. Makes me uncomfortable. Like Blair Witch. Fine. Yes. I stand there like the end of Blair Witch.
Number five is the girl who starts crying. Oh, that happens. Shut up. For he's a jolly fellow. Cry. Cry. Cry. Cry. Cry. Cry. Cry. I'm not. I guess we better have to explain that story for those of you that... Mike, I think everyone knows the story. I don't even know what you're talking about. No idea. I've completely forgotten. Was that time? Yeah. At Ashley's birthday that, you know, we were all sitting at the table and I made a toast and said, you know, hey, everybody, let's all hear it for. Bobby Kernels for He's a Jolly Goodfell. And everybody started singing it. And it was Ashley's birthday day. My birthday day. I did this as a joke. It was funny. Sounds like a joke. Ashley drunkenly started to cry. And then her friend Sisney was like, I can't believe he did that to you. What did she say? I can't believe he would even do that. Mommy gets sensitive by red wine.
She's not well right now. Mommy's an emotional wreck. Yes. Mommy's outfit weighs one ounce. Oh, my God. That's being generous. I want a new mommy. Mommy's good now. Mommy worked it out, dog. Yeah, mommy went to rehab. Ouch. Watch the stitches, Mike. Holy cow, dude. I seriously felt a stitch pop. Careful. Mommy went to rehab. Okay, so the number four person who will ruin your party is the person who just got dumped by their girlfriend or their boyfriend. Oh, yes. Which to me also goes in the same category of the crying girl. Yeah. I was just depressed.
How about the guy that breaks a chair? Or the guy that... I didn't say! I didn't say a name! I didn't say a name! I'm not kidding. Is he in a record book for that? I don't know. He was not stoked whenever that would happen. I don't blame him, man. It's terribly humiliating. When you go jogging, do you leave potholes? Oh, no. Number three is the creepy dude who always tries to bag a chick at the very end of the party, an intoxicated girl who doesn't know any better, and he hovers around just waiting for her. Do they have the guy that takes a lot of pictures at the party? But he's only taking pictures of girls. He's only taking pictures of girls. Are you talking about your brother? Now, Eddie, I didn't mention any names. I didn't mention any names. Your brother Steve is a good guy. That should be on the list, but it's not. Number two is the couple that decides to bring their babies. That's not good. Figure it out, people. And then the number one guy. Don't you hate that in every situation? Like, dude, we went to, when we went to see The Dark Knight, there was people in there that took their kids
Yeah. Oh, that's just creepy. Like, dude, man. That's crazy. I mean, listen, and don't think it's because Mikey's all uptight. When I was like a raging alcoholic, I think I would see that and go, I don't know, this movie's right for kids. Yeah. It's not probably good for kids. But then you'd see people in there and there was like somebody in there, they had a baby because they couldn't get a babysitter, I guess. Hey, listen, I know that that is not a cool situation, and it blows, but maybe you wait for Dark Knight to come out on video. Well, you know, or wait until you can arrange for somebody to watch the kids, you know, because you're making everybody weirded out. It's weird. It's not good for the kids. Plus, when they start crying in the middle of the movie. Eddie, why would he cry at, you know, the Joker? Yeah, I mean, he's so funny. No, I'm like, I'm sure that that 10-year-old is totally good with seeing the Joker put a knife in someone's mouth. I mean, why? Hey, listen. What? What? And then finally, the number one guy who will ruin your party.
is the politics guy. The guy who wants to come to your party, talk politics. He normally wears a political shirt, something like, once you go Barack, you never go back. Well, that doesn't rhyme that good. That doesn't even work. Once you go Barack, you'll never wear socks. You'll never wear socks. Once you go Barack, you'll never wear socks. Why would somebody say that, though? Why would they say that? You want to play Wuss Rock Jukebox? Yeah, I do, Mike. Call us right now. If you're a dude, call us right now. 570-1053 if you're a guy and you know Wuss Rock songs. We're going to play a clip of a Wuss Rock song, stop it abruptly, and then you take over. 570-1053. We have some more details today about the Morgan Freeman car crash. It turns out he broke his arm and elbow and got minor shoulder damage in the crash. Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith apologizes to his teammate Ken Lucas. Returned to practice yesterday. Here's Steve Smith apologizing. I'd like to apologize to the organization, to the coaches, to my teammates, to my family. But I will not allow this moment. This woman in a book of life to define me or, you know, despite what people may write or say, I made a bad decision. I accept my responsibilities and my actions. There you go. This guy's apologizing. What more can you want? You think Zeth is listening right now? Probably. He had to run out and get stuff. Sugar-free vanilla.
Starbucks. If you could get me a sugar-free vanilla latte at Starbucks, I would be a friend of yours. And save the receipt. It'll be good later today. For what? Tell me again. Starbucks has this deal that they've done in certain markets, but they're rolling it out today nationwide. So, you know, that includes San Diego. And basically, if you go in during the morning hours and get a drink, you save the coupon, you can go back in the afternoon and get any ice grande beverage for two bucks. It's about half the price. Nice. So if you get a morning coffee from Starbucks, save your receipt because it'll be good for you in the afternoon on a discount on certain drinks. Nice. Yeah. So Zeth, iced sugar-free vanilla latte. And my regular. Thank you. My regular. Look at her. Look at her. That's great. Silently giggling. Silently giggling. What's up? So I was going to do Wush Rock right now. Yeah. And then I looked up at my call screener and I'm like, This is pretty good. Hey, Jared, you there? Yeah, I'm here. So, dude, talk to us. Tell us the story. All right, so here's the story. I want to run this by you guys to see if we handle this right. I'm in a fantasy baseball league. All right. And about a month or two ago, somebody in the league died. Oh, no. No, no, terrible. You know, he was a colleague, young guy. He was real sad. But at some point...
We kind of had to have a little bit of a meeting to find out what we were going to do. Because do we not play the league anymore? How does that go down? Jared, who's the guy that brings that up? Yeah, I know. I may be thinking it. But there's no way I can be the guy. And I know somebody will. I know someone will. It was kind of a mutual decision. Like, we were all sort of standing around, and we all sort of looked at each other. And I don't remember the exact person who brought it up, but it was just sort of like, what are we going to do? Because it's an online league. What do you do? So his team was locked. He had, like, passwords and stuff. Oh, man. Oh, my goodness. And it's kind of gross. I wouldn't want his players like that. It would be weird. Yeah. So we decided to just say, all right, forget it. What we did was we made the league free. No one's going to win the award money. So we made the league free, and then we just decided to leave the team alone. But the weird part is he's in eighth place. So there's people that are below him? There's two guys.
who are below him right now. And there's that weird trash talk that you don't want to do. And you're winning to a dead guy. Yeah, you're beating a dead guy. I luckily am still ahead of him, but oh man, it's been kind of awkward. Dude, what? What did you do with his players? They're just there. His team's just locked. It's a daily update so nobody goes and changes it, but he's got some good guys. Oh, that just creeped me out. That just creeped me out. We're leaving it. We're leaving it. We're leaving it. No, I don't like it. I don't like it. Because I don't play fantasy baseball, but I play fantasy football, and I'm just trying to think of it. And, like, if a guy were to die in the league, and then us being like, hey, man, you know, he's got Tony Romo. Yeah, do we get his players? I mean, dude, he had Adrian Peterson. Like a redraft of his guys? No, absolutely not. What do you mean, Rob? Rob, what?
Are you serious with redraft the guys? I don't know what to do. No. That's out of the question? 100%. Why? Why are you angry? Why are you mad at us? Tell me. Well, first of all, we should respect The Departed, okay? The Departed. He just wanted to say The Departed. He wanted to say The Departed so bad. Mike, he's talking about the movie. Of course he is. No, I'm not. Have some respect in a place in Boston. That's all he wanted to do. We should also respect Scorsese, all right? No, no, no. Check this out. If anything, you can't get his passwords or whatever. Leave the team and dedicate the rest of the season to him. You're already three. You're so dramatic. Hold on. Hold on. So dramatic. That this thing should do. fall upon you. That's what I would have stepped up and said. Mike, if something God forbid happens to you, fantasy football, God forbid, I will take over your reins and coach your team on your behalf, God forbid. If anything were to befall upon you, I would hate to think of me taking from you LT.
In any of the monies that you may win, God forbid. God forbid, Mike. And you pass away. Be terrible. I will spend in your name. God forbid. Yes. Spend in your name. Signed the cross. Seriously. Or if, you know, if there are no passwords or nothing, why doesn't someone just set the line up for him and, you know, in honor. Dude, that's weird. In honor of the dearly departed. That's weird. I would do it. I would step up and I would do it. There are passwords. That's the problem. We can't get into his account. It's not like we're going to ask his wife. I think that there should be a dedication. We're not going to ask what kind of password guy he was. You're going to have to hack those. But once you get past the passwords, then doesn't the commissioner of the league have a way to get into all accounts? You would think. You would think, right? I think the commissioner could lock his team, but we're just leaving it alone. You know what? It was just like, let's leave it alone. It took a couple of days for us to get, you know, to talk about it. So we're just like, you know, let's just leave it. Hey, brother, thanks for the call, man. I appreciate it. 5701053. What's the appropriate time you wait to before that conversation even comes up? Yeah. Well, it's not just, I mean, here we're using the example of.
fantasy football but i mean it applies to so many things for sure you know i mean um it could be anything it could be somebody's uh garden there you know anything you know the stuff like okay let's say that you know they're in the office and they have like a fish You're like, so what do we do with the fish? Sky just rolled her eyes. What did the eye roll mean? What did it mean? What did it mean? Just thinking, you know, no disrespect to the depotted, but Nikita, I was just thinking of, you know. Yeah, but nobody. Was that even necessary? It just, you know. Are you talking about our dead fish that you fed to a listener? Yeah. Oh, that one? Yeah, the one that was in the office. Taking care of. Yeah. So I was saying they could go the mic route and just not. take care of the fish until it dies. Well, he was asking for suggestions. So I brought that up as an example. She rolls her eyes. That's just what was going on in my head, Mike. And you're the one who asked to know what was going on in there. And that's what was going on.
That's my suggestion. She's a terrible person. She really is. I didn't let a fish die. She's a bad guy. She's a bad guy. She's not a good guy. I'm a villain. She's a villain. Super villain. Super villain. Yeah, I didn't feed Nikita chocolate, Eddie. Nikita liked chocolate for your information. She was a beta fish. It wanted a Charleston chew. What do you want him to do about it? P1 Nate. That is a good point. Yes. Hey, Mikey, my fantasy football league, we have a rule actually is that in case any owner falls ill or dies, their players go into the general population, so to speak. And we can also add and drop players. to the 15th. They have a rule in place. That's so morbid. How do you come up with that rule? It's morbid. Isn't it supposed to be fun? Go ahead and just keep the league dedicated to the rest of the season to him. And then take that money that they have and just buy something for the family or put it towards the funeral. You are so sweet. I like that. I like that. That sounds great. I don't think it's necessary. Why not? It's not necessary. It's not, but it's a nice gesture. Really, the wife is really going to enjoy the fantasy football money. I think it helps at a time like that. I think it's unnecessary. Well, only if the guy wins, right? No, they're saying if somebody dies, you take that money and you buy something for the family. Is that a nice thing? Yeah. Is it a little overkill? I probably, poor choice of words. Is it a little... Oh, my. Oh, my. Is it a little unnecessary? You're beating a dead whore. Oh, my. You're killing me. This is just a dead issue. Oh, no. Thank you for the call. It's like, what do you do with sunglasses? What do you do with a completely ruined pair of Bruno Maglias? What about the Akita? What do you do with a totally ruined

Doesn't that become strange? That's strange. Why? I don't know. That's honoring the departed. Is that? I guess it depends on the relationship. I can't figure out if this is the right thing to do. Yeah, if I croak, I think it would be cool to have the Eddie Papani memorial fantasy football trophy. I would do that. I would do that for him. That would be nice. I would like that. Like a trophy and it's Eddie's head? Yeah. I like the Hall of Fame trophy. Yeah, I mean, I don't know if it's just more than needs to happen. Let's put that in the rule book. The Brewers, Prince Fielder, and pitcher Manny Parra got into a shoving match in the dugout. Sky, what was your favorite moment in Denver while we were at that morning show boot camp? Gosh, I'm having, well, I can remember my least favorite moments.
Really, really well. It's interesting because I was asking for your favorite moments. My favorite moment. What? I can tell you my favorite moment. Okay, that's probably easy. Witnessed a girl eating ham. Oh, yeah. Oh, that's funny because that's kind of a coincidence to my least favorite moment. That's one of my least favorite moments. How can this be? I like ham. Her least. Oh, boy. I videotaped Sky eating ham. Yeah. What? Like an animal in the wild. Viciously feeding. We were all just having breakfast. It's very rare that you actually get to see this. You never get to see it in the wild. It's a ham adventure. You hear about it all the time. It happens a lot, I'm sure. Yesterday, my brother and my sister-in-law were like, what is the deal with Skye and ham? I said, well, first of all, you need to know, she loves ham. Loves. Not strong enough of a word. No, not even close. Please throw up, all of you. It started because she, you know, said one day that she only eats honey-baked ham. Yeah, excuse us. And we were like, whoa. Some of the best stuff out there.
Even though we did a taste test and she preferred Costco ham. How many times? Anyways. How many times with those lies? But now it's just become a really well-known thing that she's a ham eater. Hamaholic. She's a hamaholic. And so there we were in Denver all having breakfast together and she got ham. Yeah, ordered it. Yeah, because ham and eggs is so crazy to order for breakfast. She got a ham steak. He had me at ham and eggs. It's really insane to order that for breakfast. That's what she said, Sean. He had me at ham and eggs. And it was so awkward. To the waiter. And then Mike pulls out his video camera, and I'm like, dude, we're just eating breakfast here. The girl's trying to have a meal, and she's getting videotaped. It was amazing. It was ridiculous. breathtaking. Ham is a very great ingredient. You know that video of Sasquatch walking in the woods? Bigfoot? That's kind of what this is like. It was actually just like that. I'm a big fan of ham. She said that too, Sean. So embarrassing. The other people in the restaurant are like, what's going on over there? And then Eddie's like, take a bite.
Take a bite for the film. Sean, if I send it to you, you post it. Take a bite. Oh, yeah, dude. Oh, dude, yes. No. Put it up right away. I don't think it's necessary. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, no. Oh, no. I'm a big fan of ham. You know what? You're right. We're going to blow up the server. We should probably get some more megabytes or whatever. No one wants to see a video of me eating ham. Oh, yes, they do. Oh, shut up. Oh, yes, they do. I don't think people are as immature as you guys. I think people would love to see you eating ham. Duh. Love it. Let's see. You guys are so dumb. I'm going on my computer at home where the ham video is. I'm going to send it to Sean. So annoying. Send me the link. Get it up. I want to watch it again. Shut up. I was there and I want to watch it. You're so dumb. Fantastic. You are so dumb. I'm not dumb. It was amazing. It was not amazing. I mean, the way you chewed it and savored it. No, it was a girl eat breakfast. It's what it was. Kissed it at one point. I did not kiss it. Yeah, she gave it butterfly kisses. No, please. The ham adventure. Okay, Sean, we get it. You have a lot of drops that say ham in it. You mean there's pork in this ham? Hey. She said that too, Sean. I don't remember us ever speaking of ham. One of my lacy favorite moments of boot camp. Let's see. I think I can do this.
That's your home computer? I'm looking at my home computer right now. What a trip. Yeah. Here in this file is Sky eating ham. Yes. And what file would that be? It's just called ham. No, it's not. Shut up. The ham file. It's the ham file. Starring David Duhamny. You are lame. 570-1053. I think Sky is right. We should probably not just put it up. We should probably take a vote of listeners. A vote about what? To see if listeners think that we should put it up. Okay. Maybe listeners do not want us to post the video of Skye actually eating ham. Great idea. Waste in web space, dude. Like, would you not want to see a great white feed? How can you even compare that? Well, you were ravenous about it. I was not.
So not. Yes, you really were. I was eating breakfast like a normal human being. It was such a trip, man. It sounded like this. It's not. Like, I didn't want my hands or feet anywhere near your mouth. You know what we should have been doing is we should have been videoing Mike eating broccoli with raisins on it. Delicious. And I said, I go, Sean would love this right now. Broccoli and raisins, everybody. Hey, listen. Please. It was on my plate. And I'm the weirdo. It was on my plate at the same time. Whatever. Mikey Show. Hey. Hey. Good morning, Ham Diego. Oh, hi. It's Sam Jaya, everybody. It's P1 Sam Jaya from American Idol. Yeah. Hey, why wouldn't we want to see a video of Sky eating ham? Of course we do. Well, because it's boring. People eat ham every day. I doubt it. Yeah, not like you, though. You weren't even there, Sam Jaya. But he's right. He was there in spirit. No. He was there in spirit. Exactly. Thank you, Ham Jaya.
Mikey Show. Hey, Skye, I think you should embrace the ham. Yeah. What does that mean, Quimby? Make it your own. So you're saying I should take the word back? Yeah. Do what you really want to do and eat it every meal. But I don't want to do that. Yes, you do. I don't want to do that. Yes, you do. Wouldn't you think I'd get tired of it? Skye, why play this silly game? Just admit it. You would want it every meal. Every meal. You're all weak. Okay. Wow. Mikey show. Hello. I would pay money to watch that. Shut your stupid mouth. I'm on demand. I like this. I'm on demand. Shut up. No one would pay a cent to watch that. Are you kidding me? We can make a watch out of this. Wait, we can make money off this? Shut up. P1 Suburban Cowboy. It's not that interesting. Hey, Mikey. What's up? Of course we want to see you eating ham. What could be funnier than watching you eat ham? Yeah. I can think of a few things. I can think of a million things. I can't think of one. Go to YouTube and watch any video on there. Thank you. Charlie. It's on the homepage right now. 5701053. Give us a call. Last week, my check engine light came off, and I heard the radio ad yesterday morning on the way to work, and I went to the Mission Boards location, and Nick hooked it up. He found out that my number three spark plug wasn't firing, so I told him, hey, you know, I can fix that myself, but I told him, you know, even though he wasn't able to do the service on my truck, that he has my service down the road for when my transmission goes out. Because he did that for free, right? Yeah, he did it for free. See, I mean, how can you not respect that? You didn't end up having, and most people, they would have charged you just to tell you that. And now I am sending the second one. I will call this one Ham 2. Oh, this time it's personal. There were two ham videos, Sky. The ham strikes back. That's right. The ham father part two. Mikey's father was in it. He said ham. So we'll have that up pretty soon. It'll be fun for listeners to finally get to see Sky eating ham. What if the poll shows that people don't want it on the website? Have you seen the results so far? Let me vote.
I haven't gone, but I'll vote right now. Mikeyshow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. Should we respect Skye's privacy and not show the ham video? Thank you. Or should we disrespect Skye's privacy and show her eating ham? No. Of course. The question as it is worded on the website. Should we post a video of Skye eating ham? Yes or no? I click yes. It doesn't matter to you. Dennis Kucinich would be the president of the United States right now if that's the case. There we go. That's what we're doing. Beach Blast! Chad Johnson is back. Yeah. Says Chad Johnson has gone back to practice. Anything else you want to talk about? I have a question. Is the ham video the only video that you're going to be putting up on the website from Denver? Oh, that's right, Mike.
I don't want there. I am being swashbuckled right now. I feel a swashbuckle. No, no, no. I just don't think that. I think that should be the only video that we're posting. Let me take a look. Let me take a look. I don't want the Sweetberry video. There may be an additional video that needs to be viewed. I don't want nothing else. Maybe it rhymes with Hoken trying. Blast. What did she just? Maybe it rhymes with Hoken trying blast. Work it out. I don't know what she means. Hoken trying blast. Do you get it? Broken wine. Are you insane? Seriously? I think she's crazy. What language do you speak? She is the best. I think she's crazy. Rob, that's your best friend right there. No, absolutely not. Yes, it is. Oh, that was so funny. Yeah, I mean, I think if we're going to go around posting video all willy-nilly. Hang on, I just... It got deleted. I just found it. I just found it. It's all gone. Eddie got drunk and broke the wine glass. Again. Every year at boot camp, Eddie breaks a wine glass at the table. It's part of our heritage. It's a bad heritage. Yeah, it is. It's, you know, like how they break the wine glass at the Jewish wedding.
The Greeks break some plates. At this conference, I break a wine glass. It's a thing. But it's never intentional, Eddie. But see, that's the thing, Eddie. It's not a thing. Right. Well, it is. It's accidental. I mean, when it's three years in a row. Drunkenness is what it is. Who is? You. I beg the difference. Thank you, Rob. Watch the video. Thank you. He was exhausted, okay? From drinking? No, from all the learning I did. All the what you did? All the learning. Let's see here. I believe I have found it. Yes. I want to watch it. It is five minutes long. You take me for five minutes? Well, the whole episode took five minutes because Ashley had to go outside the restaurant with Sky, which I followed them out. To make sure she was okay. What was the matter with her? Glass shattered in her face when you broke it. Someone almost got cut. This year. Did somebody get cut? It was close. Then we're all winners. We're fine. Then it worked out for everyone. Not sitting next to you next year. Sean will have this very soon. Sean, you got the first video up? Can we play audio from it? Sure.
Can you play it from where you are? Yeah, hold on. Play the audio of the video. This is ridiculous. And where will we find the video when we get to the website? Where can we find the video of Sky eating ham? New on the show. Under new on the show, go to MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W. No one cares. We want to see Eddie's wine video. Go to MikeyShow.com. And the first thing that you see on new on the show, well, I'm not seeing it yet. Mine says gas monkey. Refresh. Mine says... I'm refreshing. Okay, here it is. He only wants to enjoy something that humorous. I don't... I'll work it out. No, I don't want you to work out. Please do it. You're a good person, Skye. It's a normal breakfast. I mean, it's on the menu. It's not like it's a special order. But don't you think that it's just kind of... It's on the menu. I know, but how great is it that you ordered ham? I mean, it's breakfast. I know, but you know how, um, you guys, you know how we tease her because she likes ham? She doesn't like. I don't, I mean. She doesn't, you don't like ham? Come on, Skye, pick that sucker up. Put it in your mouth and have a crazy look at her face. Put that away. Fine, fine. Enjoy your broccoli and raisins. I'm eating broccoli and raisins. That's weird. Thank you, that is a weird part.
Now, Sean, did you get the other one yet? Yeah, I've got it. It's processing right now. I'm not able to load this. No, me neither. You're not either? You're driving me nuts. I'm going to MikeyShow.com. Technical difficulties, oh darn. We'll get it worked out. Don't worry. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com to see Sky Eating Ham. For those of you that have been listening to the Mikey Show for any period of time, this is gold to you. Yes. Gold, by the way. Solid gold. I'm sure it is. A little extreme. Did somebody say gold? Shut up. Hey. Shut up. Shut up. I want to see the Eddie video. It's all being said. You're going to see all these videos, man. See all these videos. Stone Cold Sober. A little tired. Angelina Jolie denies having irritable bowel syndrome, IBS. Wow. She says she doesn't have it. It's IVF. How embarrassing. How embarrassing that I said that. Oh, you're bad. Color me embarrassed. Well, Ashley suffers from this irritable vowel. Irritable vowels? That joke. Ashley, you have IBS. Why does that make it funnier?
Why does it make it funnier when somebody goes, yeah, I do, okay. Wanted to let you know, once Sean gets him up, you can just go straight to the videos by typing in the keyword ham. Oh, good. For Eddie's, you can type in the keyword glass. Eddie, why do you break a wine glass every year? I don't mean to. It's an accident. Here's what happens. When you finish with the vino, you want more wine, and you go, more wine. And you kind of slam the glass down a little bit. See, that's where you go wrong. And it shatters at the base every time. Well, you don't see because you don't need to slam it down. Well, this time I did it. And the interesting thing, Scott. Sweetberry wine. The sweetberry wine thing about it. Yes. It usually happens after four or five glasses. That's true. Yeah. Which is weird.
Rob, did I slam it down this time? What I think you're not aware of is there was a Mai Tai extravaganza prior to Eduardo Pamplemousse enjoying the wine. And I looked back at them when I got home, and they were just of our chest. No faces. No, just of our chest. Just of our chest. Are you kidding me? You did. What? I know. I can't. That is fantastic. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. 105.3. Better mileage tips presented by Chevron. Here's an easy one. To improve mileage, come by Chevron and fill up with air. That's right, air. When was the last time you checked the air pressure in your tires? Can't remember? Then it's definitely been too long. Did you know even tires in good shape can lose about one pound of pressure a month? And underinflated tires make your engine work harder, lowering your mileage. But don't overinflate them.
You can usually find the recommended tire pressure on a sticker located on the driver's side door jamb. And speaking of air, air conditioning is not so hot for your car's mileage either. Whenever you turn it on, it puts an added strain on your engine. Now, at highway speeds, it's probably better to use the AC rather than roll down the windows because of the aerodynamics. But around town, enjoy the fresh air. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. Mikey Show. Hello? Yeah, go ahead. You're on the air. Hey, what's up, Mikey? What's up? This is P1 Chris. Go ahead. I just want to say thanks to you, man. I save $200 a month on my insurance. That's awesome. MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com, and we are awaiting the Eddie breaking a wine glass video. That one's not that good.
That one will be up momentarily. That one will be up momentarily. But the video of Skye eating ham. Skye, have you seen it? No. You're gorgeous. You're rocking the headband and eating ham. And we even get a close-up of the ham. Okay. Well, that's great. It's pretty awesome. Guys, let me tell you. I got to get one of the salespeople to get on this thing right here. Right? Oh, your flip minnow or whatever. I mean, are you kidding me with that thing? I took this sucker. to boot camp by the way i'm gonna get all the pictures that i took at boot camp up on the website oh cool i took some too you did yeah let's get let's get them all up yeah yeah yeah okay let's get them all up but this little flip minnow is basically it's a video camera that is the size of it well first of all it's smaller than a pick of cards it's about the size of a nickel no okay
An eyelash. No, now it's not going to be that quick because it's bigger. No, it's bigger than that. Mark Bauman. No, Eddie. It is about the size of a cell phone. It looks like an iPod. It does. It looks like an iPod, but it takes one hour of video. So you put it in your pocket and if your friend's eating ham and she's known for it. No. You just start shooting video. Which will take about an hour. Yeah. She has so much of it. Well, she's got to feed. Throw it in the trough. That's right. You're like a ham vampire. Yes. You know, like you have to. What does that mean? Well, you have to feed or else you'll like die. I will not die. And she's kind of allergic to the sun, so. Get one more free, ladies and gentlemen. That's the ham.
Yeah, that's funny right now, Mike. Anything, please. Whatever. But we will move on, but I do want to remind people there's video of Sky Young. Shut up. What's the web? It's MikeyShow.com. Oh, just there. You just go there. You get the greatest video for free. It's a breakfast entree. Go to any breakfast place. I want to see it a million times. It will be on the menu. Any place. Please. So check this out. So Ashley. Yeah. as you know, goes to yoga. Yes, she does. All right. She went there and she was telling her yoga instructor that underneath her shoulder blade, she's got this pain, you know, and her yoga instructor. No. Well, Ashley thought it was like a muscle strain, which, duh, kind of makes sense, right? For the record. Picking up her fork so much this weekend.
Walking back and forth to McDonald's. Mommy was on vacation. Mommy likes the buffet. But for the record, I've had the same thing. It feels like a muscle strain or something. It's horrible. It's right under that little. Her yoga instructor told her the same thing that someone told me that I think is nuts. Do you? What? Her yoga instructor said that she has a rib that's popped out. Oh, come on. Somebody told me that, too. Like, I had a back. I had back. And they're like, oh, it's a rib. It's popped out. Like you're not aligned. Huh? Is that an eating injury? How do you get that? Now, listen, I know there's people listening right now and they're like, no, it's true. You know, ribbed. OK, fine. Maybe it does. But it just is kind of goofy that. If somebody says they have back pain, it's immediately diagnosed as a rib that's popped out. She was confused. She was ordering ribs. Oh, that's what it was. Your stomach? No. I haven't even eaten yet today. Everybody watch out after the show. Eddie IMs are yesterday. You must be starving. I'm not going to lie, it's tough.
But I have to diet right now. Did you already start? Yesterday. Really? Yeah. Now, her diet consists of not eating. Yeah, don't eat at all. That's terrible. And then work out a lot. And then at nighttime, you have a plate of cookies. And then throw it up. For me, last night, it was a handful of chocolate chips, but whatever. She's awful. So terrible. So terrible. I don't have an eating disorder. And your instructor told you that it's a rib out of place? Well, she felt it, you know. And I told her, I think it's a muscle strain. She's like, how'd it happen? And I'm like, I have no idea. Just out of nowhere, all of a sudden, my back started hurting that one area. And it won't go away. It's getting worse. And she goes, sounds to me like... She goes, stop eating. You're full. She said that it sounds like ribs out of place, you know, and my spine's off and that it's causing nerves. Inflammation. You have spinal bifida. I can't stop eating. So we all went to Denver last week. And before we went to Denver for this thing called Morning Show Boot Camp, which is where a bunch of DJs get together and share ideas. Before we went, Sky and Ashley researched the weather out in Denver. And they found that it was going to be very hot.
Yes, like the hottest that's ever been there in a long time. Record breaking. Like, what did you say you saw on the news, Mike? One day they said it was like 107. 107 degrees broke a record. In Denver. Broke a record. Lay out weather. That's right. Yeah. And so, listen, what do a couple of girls want to do when the weather's going to be, you know, really great? They want to lay out. Pack a little bikini. You ready? Get some sun. We're good. Now, our company did not allow us to all stay at the same hotel. They put Eddie and I up in the hotel where the actual conference was taking place. Yeah, what up, VIP? And they made Ashley and Rob and Sky stay at another hotel. Mm-hmm. walk down Rapist Alley every night to get to the conference. But that's cool, Clear Channel. Rob is our bodyguard, by the way. Which worked out really well. I was slacking. I couldn't sell these two for the life of me. Shut up. Anybody? You're the worst. She works for food. They decide. You need a lot of it. They decide.
On Thursday of last week that they're going to lay out the two of them. We had been talking about it all day. We were so excited. All day. The day before. I mean, this was like our entire purpose of going to boot camp. Yeah. Okay. That's not. You shouldn't say that. It was. So they go and they get all lubed up. Oh, yeah. What the hell? We were ready. Lather ourselves. Yeah. Ashley using grease. That's right. Sunscreen. Bacon grease. One for Monty. Another one for mommy. We were ready. We had sunscreen on. We had our little like wraps on around our bathing suit, sunglasses. We were ready to hit it. So then what happened? Well, we go down the elevator. I already have my shades on. Yeah, Ashley has her shades on. I'm in a little wrap from Hawaii. We're both smelling like suntan lotion. And you have like sore thumbs. And so, you know, we're seeing the signs like a pool this way, pool this way. You walk through the gym to their indoor pool. Everyone in the gym is staring at us. I mean, it is. Ashley has her sunglasses on. They're glimmering. They're shimmering. Or smelling like coconut butter or whatever. Indoor pool. So embarrassing. So then we try to do the whole like.
oh, we came here for the jacuzzi. Even though we have suntan lotion on. And it's 110 out. Yeah, we're here to go in the jacuzzi. I take my sunglasses off. So embarrassing, man. That is phenomenal. So embarrassing. That's phenomenal. That's just Ashley and I sitting in the jacuzzi. Normal. The two of you sitting in the jacuzzi with a bunch of suntan lotion on. Then we start to look around, and the jacuzzi looks... Oh, it's disgusting. I mean, there's dirt around the rim. Oh, yeah, now it's all full of... We reek of chlorine, and I'm like, guys, let's just get out of here. This blows. That's awful. Yeah. A tourist survived a 250-foot fall in Big Sur. What? What is up? It's a place. What is Big Sur? It's a place. It's like saying... Google it. It's like saying Big Bear. Yeah.
You know Big Bears? Like saying mammoth? Cleveland. That's the thing that attacked Boy Blunder. No, no. Peanut butter on his face? That's right. That is true. No, so yeah, this 20-year-old tourist was, you know, up in Big Sur. What? What's a tourist? Not everybody knows what Big Sur is. What about Big Man? Big Man. Yeah, is that a mafia nickname? I'm looking it up. Let's see. What is it called? Big Mac? Where is it, smart guy, then? Where is it? Big Sur's in California, Central Coast. Fine. Okay, well, you got me there. Well, you got me there. Mike. So, him and his boys are... Look at the show-off over here. Couché. Knows everything. Him and his boys are playing a little, you know, let's all throw the football around, fun time games. Oh, that's bad. Yeah. Why is that bad? Well, because it's Big Sur. And they were playing on this street that kind of at the very end of the street had a 400-foot drop into the ocean. So the football goes over the edge. You go deep. No, not that deep. So the football goes over the edge but lands on like a little ledge. So this dude thinks that he's going to be able to just reach far enough to get the football.
Tumble, tumble, tumble. 250 feet later, he lands on a ledge. You surf your way down. Surfers? That's in the movies, Eddie. No, Eddie. Is he all right? Yeah, he has gashes on his face and the rest of his body gashes. Very gassy. Eddie had that in Denver. Altitude. You called it altitude gas. I don't even think that really exists. Eddie just made that up. City of La Mesa is not happy about this proposed firefighting tax. What is it? Let's talk about it. I'm a La Mesa resident. What do we got, Eddie? I don't know. I don't know what you're talking about. Let's hear it. What is it? Okay, so it's this proposed parcel tax, which basically means if you own property here, they want this new tax of $52 a year. For what? And that money will go to... Fire engines. No. Fire engines. I will not pay it. You don't even know why you're objecting yet. I'm not paying it. You have to hear why you're mad. And you don't know why you're mad yet. You can be mad in just a second. I'll tell you. I can tell you when you're. I'm pissed. Let him be upset. Thanks. Okay.
So basically the deal is 52 bucks if you own a piece of land and it goes to fire engines. Ain't got that kind of money. Again, we're still not there yet. No way, Jose. So this is what the city of La Mesa thinks is some funny business here, okay? Yeah. All the money will go to buy 25 fire engines, but 19 of those engines are going to be dedicated just to the city of San Diego. So the mayor of La Mesa is like, Dude, why are we paying to subsidize your city? Because your city's all broke. We need our own fire engine. Why are we going to pay? And so, Eddie's mayor, Art Madrid, you know. Note to enjoy some beverages once in a while with Eddie. Some wine. Breaking some glasses. Sometimes we end up asleep on the driveway. What's the big deal? It did happen. We've all been there. Yeah, who hasn't? Come on. So the mayor of La Mesa thinks this whole thing is a big old sham. And basically the only reason they're proposing it is because they know it's going to get shot down because it's not fair. And then when we have another wildfire and we're not prepared, then the people of San Diego will be like, hey, we tried to do a thing. Pay for your own engines. Yeah, so we'll see. Mary Kate Olson is asking for immunity.
in the Heath Ledger drug investigation. What is it? What? Okay. So you guys remember when Heath Ledger passed away? He passed away? Oh my God. Too soon. That's too soon. Too soon. So when he passed away and was found by his masseuse, one of the first people the masseuse called was Mary Kate Olson. So weird. Yeah. I guess they were friends. They knew each other. There were rumors of a romantic involvement of some sort. They partied in the same circles. Well, I guess Mary Kate is one of the only people who has not been interviewed by the New York Police Department and has not cooperated. What are they investigating? The drugs. Where did Heath get the prescription drugs? Many of them were accounted for, but the Oxycontin that was found. It wasn't like in a bottle. They don't know where he got it. And they're trying to figure out where that came from. And so they've been wanting to talk to Mary Kate Olson about this for quite a while. And she hasn't. And her lawyer has finally said, OK, if you grant us immunity, then we'll discuss with you what's going on. But nothing can happen to her.
So they're going to grant her immunity so she can't be voted off the island. No, this isn't survivor. No, this is real life. That means you've got to wear the thing around your neck. So, of course, everybody start... Probably too soon on that one. But I mean, the movie's number one. I don't understand you guys. But her lawyer says Mary-Kate has nothing to hide. She just wants to make sure that... Yeah, right. Right? That's why she's asking for immunity. There's nothing to hide. Come on. Text us. 35253. That's hurtful. That's brutal. That's brutal, Mike. That's brutal. Okay, great. 570-1053 is our telephone number. That was really weird. Give us a call. When Ashley was visiting with her dad up in Northern California, her dad had to call 911. He was driving, right, Ash? This is scary. On her?
Yeah, I guess, you know, he realized that she was eating him out of house in a hole. So what happened? Well, we were driving. You picked me from the airport. We were driving on the freeway and we see a car engulfed in flames on the side of the road. Nobody's around. I'm like, are people still in there? He's more concerned about like... The people driving by, because he's, I guess, evidently, like, if a car is on flames for a long time, it can combust because of the gas. Rob. Combust? I'm sorry. That just caught me off guard. Why didn't you guys just pull over? You could have, you know, picked up the old, um, and, uh, squirt, squirt, squirt, right out from the armpit. Just douse that fire out. She does sweat a lot. Squirt, squirt, squirt. Well said. I'm sorry, Ashley. I'm listening. I'm listening. It was pretty weak, bro. If you're going to come to the table, drink something. It was actually a pretty good one. That was a good one. It was good. Well, then, yeah, you got me. I should have put it all apart with my sweat. You little squint, squint, squint. You little squint, squint, squint. Anyway. So what happened? Please.
So, okay, so the car, if it has gas in it, it can combust, right? Get out of town. I didn't know that, Rob. I'm sorry. And? I'm just learning. And so my dad calls 911 because, I mean, it's like. What else do you do? Yeah, right? And it's busy. The 911 was busy. And I'm like. That's crazy. And so he hung up, called again. It was busy. What if you were getting stabbed or something? Right? And he tried like five times. Couldn't get through. So we finally, like, let it go. Like, we couldn't get through to 911. Don't they have, like, call waiting or something? Yeah, can you hang on just a second? I've got to get the other line. Maybe they were using their modem. Oh. Yeah, exactly. Has anyone ever had that happen? Right? I didn't know that was even possible. I didn't either. I thought that was so strange because what if there's, like, a dire emergency? Yeah. 570-1053. You ever had that happen? You're trying to call 911. You get a busy signal. What is Gladys working the switchboard back there? Seriously. Seriously. Let me connect you. Yeah. To Sheriff Bill. Sheriff Bill. I'll patch you through. Hold on. That's right. Well, I want to hear that. 570-1053 if that's ever happened to anybody. And text us to 35253 if you've ever had anything like that go on. I've never called 911 before. Have you? Oh, wow.
Yeah. The house went off and finally came back on. And then we called 911. The cops came. I'm trying to think if I've done it for anything else. When my dad, one time my dad was choking because he's got like a throat problem. So he's full on choking. Like couldn't breathe. My mom's trying to give him the Heimlich. My brother called 911. This was back when I was like 10. Yeah. And me and my sister, this is during family dinner. We're freaking out. Right. Well, my dad knows how to give himself the Heimlich. Oh, my. Gives himself the Heimlich. Upchucks this like. minuscule pea-sized piece of beef. So my brother hangs up on 911. Nothing personal? Yeah. The visual of a man giving himself the Heimlich maneuver is... In a pinch. I once knew a man that could give himself CPR, so... CPR! CPR! I knew it was coming. I knew it was coming. But yeah, because when you have a throat problem, it's important because sometimes my dad would wake up choking.
My dad's throat will like close. It'll just close? It'll get swollen, it'll close. He has a really narrow esophagus, so things will get stuck very easily. But Ash just out of nowhere, like all of a sudden his throat will close him? Like sometimes he'll wake up in the middle of the night and he can't breathe. See, my dad has the same thing with his esophagus, but... Where your throat just closes for no reason. It's always like a piece of beef, you know, that is the culprit. Or a piece of ham. Regardless, 911 called us back, which was weird, too. Yeah. We had hung up on, like, my brother hung up on 911. Two seconds later, we get a call back. So it's like... Oh, yeah. You can't hang up on them. No. So you're not allowed to hang up on them, yet they were busy. They'll show up at your house. Hey, Marcus, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Go ahead. All right. So me and my friend, we're, you know, kicking it going to Guitar Center. And by that little place is a large area brush. And while we're walking up, a brush fire was starting. Oh. And nobody was there, no, you know, emergency vehicles or anything. So they were like, hey, call 911. And we called 911 and busy the first time, called back, repeats it or says the thing in English and then repeats it in Spanish and then gives me an automated service, which has to repeat that in English and Spanish. What? What is that?
So it takes around five minutes, and then it gets busy at the end, so you have to hang up and then call back, and the process repeats itself. That is weird. No. That's weird, dude. I know. 570-1053. Text us, 35253. P1 Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Hi, Matt. What's going on? I've seen two different accidents. Everybody, I don't know, one was six months, one was a year. And I saw a car get clipped and then roll up onto a bank. And it tumbled like three times. So I pull over, start dialing 911, and it's busy. And I'm like, whoa. Making sure, you know, easy number, 911, come on. So I do it again, and it's busy. And I'm like, you know.
The accident just happened, you know, dialing in. I'm like, there's no way 911 can get, you know, overwhelmed with calls. I don't know. I wouldn't think so. Right. And so I never, I tried about five times, never got through to 911 for that accident. Now, is it that they're busy or is it just that the system is flawed? I think, I mean, come on. Probably both. There's got to be a million different things going on. Yeah, it's got to be both. It's probably understaffed is what it is. That's brutal, man. So scary. Thank you, Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Hey, P1 Ben. Ben. No, Eddie. No, that's definitely what it is. Yeah, you can't really do that. Ben Affleck. No, that's not. It's totally different. Ben. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. I saw a kid riding his bike on a wearing road in a car. turned and was on the road, and he hit the kid, and the kid flew up in the air, laying on the concrete. So me and a couple other people start calling 911, and I'm calling 911. I get through to, like, the city of San Diego. They say, oh, well, I have to connect you to the sheriff's department. And so then I'm on hold for, like, 10 minutes, and then they connect me to emergency services. And it's probably about 15, 20 minutes of being on the phone, trying to, meanwhile, this kid's out cold, bleeding, and his legs busted, looking at his foot, turned around.
And it was horrible. Brutal, man. I can't imagine. And it was pretty shocking. Hey, thanks for the call. Yep, later. They got to fix it. They definitely have to do some work. I don't understand why that happens. Like, what's going on? I'm imagining like a bank of operators. Right. You know, sitting there waiting for 911 calls. Like, is that not the case? Still, I don't know, man. I think she probably still. Could have jumped out of the car and just squit, squit, squit. Squit, squit, squit. Squit, squit, squit. Squit, squit, squit. Squit, squit, squit. Squit, squit, squit, squit. That's really stupid. Well, she has the armpit deal. I mean, I sweat. I sweat. Yeah, a lot. Sweats a lot. Ash, can you hear me? I hear you just fight. A lot. Or just, like, brought your flooded apartment to the car and dealt. What? Carried it under her arm. Edward. It applies. Edward. That doesn't even make sense, bro. Thank you. Thank you. It does. Really? Water doesn't put out flames? Thank you. Hello. There it is. That's a good-looking statement. Thank you. Hey, Brian has a reason why this happens. He works for the fire department. Oh, good. Let's see. Line three. P1 Brian, are you there? Yeah. Go ahead, man. So why does this happen? A lot of times, I've worked alongside with this backing up for a while. And a lot of times when there's an incident like a brush fire or a car accident where people are driving by and calling at the same time, the lines are overwhelmed.
People are calling in, and not everybody can get there at the same time. There's only a certain amount of dispatchers that can answer the calls. But it's either busy or it's just going to keep ringing, so they just make it busy. And it's happened to me a few times where I've called 911 and been busy also, but that's pretty much why it happens a lot of times. But what if I'm in a separate emergency where I'm being stabbed? That's unfortunate. Is it tough luck? Yeah, I think I would call that unfortunate. Yeah, well, it's not a perfect system. I mean, it happens. All right, well, what do you suggest? If you see, like, an accident or something like that on the freeway, should I call or not call? Oh, definitely call. I mean, if it's busy, maybe for some reason you drive by a fire station or something, you could swing in there and say, hey, there's an accident or a fire back there. You're not always going to be right next to it. Can I play with the firehouse dog? Is that allowed? It's not allowed anymore. What? What? They got no more Dalmatians or what? They're much of a liability. Oh, come on, man. What kind of society is this? What is this? Thanks a lot, Sky. It looks like... What? What did I do? Hates Dalmatians. Tropical storm. Well said. Has made landfall.
Texas and Louisiana. How fast is that sucker going? Um, let's see. Squirt, squirt, squirt. Yeah. Is that what it's doing in the area? I mean, really? Squirt, squirt, squirt. Squirt, squirt, squirt. Well, I told the thing, don't call me until you're up to 100 miles. That's what I say to all of them. Well, yeah, it's still a tropical storm. It's not even a hurricane yet, Mike. Oh, please. I promise when we come back, we're doing YouTube clip of the day. Mike! It's a woman deathly afraid of balloons. Mike! It's next time. The Mikey Show is on. Welcome to WAMU, Mrs. Gillespie. He played Wii Boxing and told me it was his favorite thing. Wii Boxing was awesome. Why don't you become a boxer? Every single day. If you do, then what's the point of ever playing Wii Boxing? Polish my skills, Mike. You're stupid. I love Wii Bowling, but they got this new thing that I don't even want to get started on this. It's called Wii Fit or something. We talked about it. That's probably on the phones. It gets so upset. This thing is awesome. No. What? Why is it bad? I don't understand. Call me old school. Hang on a second. I have to identify the radio station. I never got to do it. What happened? KIOZ San Diego is a radio station that is licensed to the city of San Diego. And then you hit it. Exactly. But he already hit it. He hit it earlier than he was supposed to hit it. Jeez. I can't believe that.
But he's saying you believe it about himself. Well, that's fine, I guess. I guess I'll take it. Take what I can get. Rob doesn't like it. What is he mad about? When people do Guitar Hero because he says, why don't you actually go learn how to play guitar? When he's missing the point, it's just something to do for fun. It's not that somebody really is trying to learn how to play guitar. They're in fact just trying to have a good time. Right. You don't get it. None of you get it. He threw his arms up in exasperation before we came back on the radio. He was so upset about the idea of this Wii Fit where you work out. But I said, hey, it's fun. People are working out. It is ridiculous. It's stupid. Why? Why don't you go to the gym? You're going to sit there in front of your TV?
If you can't afford the gym, it's because you're buying the Wii and you're buying the Wii Fit and all the little controllers and the socks, the queer socks that you got to put on. You have to wear queer socks? Why do you have to do that? I think you can wear whatever you want. Our country has gotten out of control. I'm upset. In what regards? Everything is going to be done on video. Stop touching stuff near my desk. We've established boundary lines and you're crossing them. It's his first day. It's Rob's first day sitting in the studio with everyone. Don't buy your kids these things. Don't say that. Take them outside. Take them outside and get some fresh air. Go play in a jungle gym. Go run around in the street for a couple hours. What's the matter? I did when I was a kid. Look at me. I turned out fine. Perfect. I'm an angel. You have a tattoo on your throat. What of it? You forgot. You got that from playing in the street? You've had a lot of STDs. Wait a second. That is a fact. It's called a miracle drug. 570-1053 is our phone number. You did it already twice. Text number is 35253.
And I said that we were going to do it. And we are. Now it's time for the YouTube clip of the day. Ladies and gentlemen, from the Maury Povich show, a girl that is deathly afraid of balloons. Here's Yvonne. Now guess what? You wouldn't believe this. We have had dysphobia on before and nobody believed it existed. She's trembling right now because Yvonne is deathly afraid of balloons. Balloons! Are you just afraid they'll pop? Everything. The look of them. They float. Everything. The way they float? Everything. Everything bothers me. You're worried about a balloon floating? Yes. Listen to this. This is really strange. Not only balloons. Yvonne cannot stand the Goodyear blimp. You ever seen the Goodyear blimp? No.
It's 2,000 feet high. It can't get you. Watch this, Yvonne, please. Don't torture her, Maury. Oh, no, don't go back there. That's worse. Compassionate. It's over. Stop it, Yvonne. Stop it, Yvonne. Rub it on your head. It can make it walk on the wall. Well, there it is. YouTube clip of the day. It's a woman that was deathly afraid. Where are these people? I want to hang out with them. And always have a balloon ready. No. Not so much. Hey, did Boston Rob tell you that he hosted Craig Gass' comedy show when we were in Denver? That's right. It's so weird. He just forgot to mention it. It was awesome. Craig Gass performed in Denver when we were in Denver. And Rob...
was bringing all the comedians on stage. He had a star-studded lineup, and last minute, he respected my abilities to host, I guess. I don't know. I thought I was a regular funny guy. He wanted me to bring everybody out. It was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had. What happened? Tell me what it was like. It was interesting, man, because you don't know how a crowd's going to react. Some of them were drinking, so I go up there, and I'm like, they look at me like, No, thank God. Everyone was cool. Apparently they had enough to drink. Did you warm the crowd up? No, I didn't. And that's why I was kind of like, do they want me to? What do I say? I don't know. If he ever asked me to do it again, I will warm the crowd up. I will start working on jokes. So all you did was go up there and say, and here's Craig Gass. No, no, no. I introduced the first comic, Jimmy Earl. Hey, Denver, how are you guys doing tonight? Oh, jeez. Hey, I see that guy here with the beard. Nice girlfriend. Hey, it's good. Are you guys happy to be here or what? You know, I'm trying to get everybody. Hey, I want to bring out this first comic. He's from Canada. He might not look like it because he's Filipino. Jimmy Earl, get out of here. Give him a big round of applause. See? And I bring him out, and then, you know, he told me his,
Last joke was going to be this joke. I can't say it on the air, but his last joke would be this. So, you know, right as he gets off, I go grab the mic, you know, one more time for Jimmy Earl. You're polished, bro. Awesome. It was one of the coolest things I've ever done. What if B-Rob becomes a stand-up comic? I'd pay to see that. You would? I would too. Good money. Good money? I think you could do it. I will do it now. I'm talking like $1.50. I think you could do it. Wait a minute. At least. Good time. Ladies and gentlemen, the amazing Boston Rob. 570-1053 is our phone number. Beginning and end of every show, we do an open phone segment. You can call in about anything you want. And I want to remind you, the gas monkey, Boston Rob, in a monkey suit with bananas, out day after tomorrow. Oh, I cannot wait. In the Rock 105.3 van. Handing out bananas. That's right. What part of town? El Cros. Hello. Thursday morning. You keep the gaff card. I'll take the banana. Hello. Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks. That's William Hung singing and he does say peanuts and cracker jacks. 570-1053 is our phone number. Give us a call. And yeah, you can call about anything you want at the beginning and end of every show. I missed some text messages that we were getting this morning. Mikey, what is Sky's favorite tool?
A hammer. A hammer. You get a hammer. Mikey, Sky should win a Graham-y for her role in her own clip. That was better. I like that one a little bit. All bad. Mikey, make the Sky video into a contest and see what P1s can make with it. What does that mean? I don't know. I don't know what that means. Re-cut it. Oh, like re-edit. Yeah. Not a bad idea. Hilarious. Not a bad idea at all. Make it into a trailer. Oh, yeah. Oh, that's great. That could be really good. Yeah, it could be. All of you. Why not? All right, we'll do it. Let's see. Mikey, we want ham. We want ham. We want ham. We'll go buy some. They sell it everywhere. Sign P1 Mark. Please.
Mikey, I would, in fact, love to see any video with Sky eating ham. Signed, P1 Crazy Fists. You can see it right now. MikeyShow.com is where it's at. Stupid. Go check it out. Let's see. Mikey, so far this morning, I'm laughing so hard, and my radio is cranked up so loud, I think I just blew my amplifier. Oh! Mike, you don't have to read them all, dude. This is the last one. Okay. 5701053 is the number. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey, this is T1 Torizo. What's up, dude? Hey, Torizo. Hey, what's up? I just wanted to ask Eddie, now that he's got his house, if he's ever going to get that dog, and if he is, is he going to let you, Mikey, play with it? Because he might molest it. Oh, man. I might molest it. He'll just tonk kiss the dog. That's it. Yes, well done.
I don't even... Well done, Choddy. Well, let the romance begin. Okay. Hey, listen. We can't all deliver a joke with perfect timing and eloquence. Yeah, you gotta pick the words. Like, molestation? Not a good word for a joke. Yeah, molestation's not the greatest... But making out? Funny. Mike making out with a dog. That's funny. That's funny. Which he did, by the way. Smooch the pooch. That's right. So, Eddie. P1 Sam. Hey, I just wanted to know, I missed the gas monkey thing. Can you give me more information on that? Yeah, we were just giving that out right now. Spaced out. Yeah, we were just giving that out. We said that Thursday morning, 7 a.m., Boston Rob, as the gas monkey in Hillcrest. Hillcrest. Hillcrest. Hillcrest. Hillcrest. Hillcrest. Hillcrest. Hillcrest. I'll already be there, so it's perfect. There you go. Hi. You guys are awesome. Thank you very much. Thank you. You are. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, what's up, Mikey T-Rex? What's up, T-Rex? Oh, my gosh. I had a weekend this weekend. What do you mean? Okay. You know how you guys talked about stories. You know you didn't. Stories that you've never told anybody and they happen to pop out. Right. Okay. Uh-oh. All right. We're having dinner. Oh, wow. This is going to be weird. Yeah.
It's already really weird. I know this is a family show, so I'll try to keep it brief. So anyway, we're out with a new couple and the wife and the other couple having fun. They're all talking, getting together and all this stuff. So a story breaks out. My wife said, guess what? I've never told this story to anyone before. I was like, okay, what is she going to say? She said, you know, one night me and my husband was having sex. And we got stuck in the handcuffs. I was like, oh, my gosh. No, she didn't. She's not telling this story, is she? Oh, my gosh. T-Rex isn't telling this story either, is he? So I am like, I hope to kick myself in the butt. I was like, okay. So she goes on with the story. So we actually, you know, try to spice up. Look at Eddie. We use the handcuffs or whatever. So after everything's said and done.
We both look at each other. Okay, let's take the handcuffs off. What are you talking about? He's telling the story, bro. Let him finish. So me and my wife are stuck in a pair of handcuffs after having sex. You are so weird. He is such a strange guy. So to go on with the story. Okay, how are we going to get these handcuffs off? So I broke out of it. You broke out the hacksaw that you just had sitting next to the bed? No, no, we're together. They're moving around the house in handcuffs. Probably naked in handcuffs. Okay. Hacksaw was in their house? Yeah, in the garage. Lee Hacksaw Hamilton was in the house. I have to hear from you, kinky people. They were trying to spice it up. Anyway. And so...
You know, I go on with the hack songs. You know, we've seen this in the movies or whatever. So I'm trying to hack songs. Don't look at me, dude. That's out of the handcuffs. Uh-huh. And so, you know, we get halfway. You know, it's working. I think it's working. And so, you know, we're at a point where we stop. What do I do? Yeah. I mean, you can attempt. It's not working. Now we're like three-quarters of the way through. I want to hear the end. So it's not working. We're both in pain. And so we started to fight a little bit. Like, you lost the key. No, I didn't. You did. You did. And so all of a sudden, I see this look on my wife's face, and she tightens the handcuffs. And at that time, I wanted to scream bloody murder. I was like, oh, my gosh, why did you do that? Why did you do that? almost brought tears to my eyes. And so at that time, we just... Rob just gave me the hand signal for, I don't know, my, I don't know. I don't know where we're going. We decided to give up. We decided to give up. I did too. I finally did. I finally did. I finally decided to give up. Email me, T-Rex. Oh, for goodness sake. How did you get out?
And that came out at the dinner party? He would have done it sooner. Oh, my goodness. I can't even. Mikey Show. We can't end the show this way. Are you sure? We can't. Mikey Show. Is he okay? Yes. Yes, I'm on the phone. Mikey Show. Oh, are you kidding? What's going on? Is T-Rex handheld to you? Mikey Show. Hey, this is P1 Jason. What's up, Jason? Hey, I just wanted to let you know, Mikey, that I was driving all the way up to the 91 up in L.A. Uh-huh. And the signal would just keep on coming in and out. But all I would hear is just ham this and ham that. And I just kept on laughing the whole way. And I kept the signal all the way across the 91 because I just couldn't stop listening. Because you guys are coming in and out and just jokes here and left and right. And I could just picture the whole show. That was a doozy. Uh-huh.
Tune in tomorrow to find out what happened with T-Rex. That's right. Missy is up next. She's got the all-request lunch today. Fantastic. We'll get back tomorrow morning and we'll do it all over again, only different.
