Boston Rob became the center of two major bits: the crew challenged his refusal to accept help for an affordable wedding, then sent him into Ocean Beach as the traffic-dodging Gas Monkey to award Cody a $75 gas card. P1 Kevin described getting clean from heroin after an arrest and asked how to handle drinking coworkers, and the hosts urged direct honesty about his recovery. Serious calls and news covered dangerous ER delays, Shelly Malil's alleged stabbing of his ex-girlfriend, and whether an angry boyfriend's behavior justified suspecting steroids; the recurring argument was to judge evidence carefully and communicate directly. Lighter stretches included Zeth and Eddie's surprise Password victory, Michael Phelps' enormous training diet, Ashley's circus-like bicycle entrance, and a ruthless boat hypothetical involving partners and pets.
What happened, in order
Possum boxing match
The crew recounts how their friend Jay, angry about a possum raiding his koi pond, cornered it on a fence and punched it.
Rob's wedding stalemate
Boston Rob says his fiancée wants a large family wedding he cannot afford, while Mikey, Eddie, and callers argue that he should accept their help and marry cheaply.
A 19-year-old gets clean
P1 Kevin says arrest, a work-furlough sentence, and a masonry job helped him stay off heroin for six and a half months, and the hosts advise him to tell coworkers plainly why he cannot join their drinking.
Ashley's circus-bike entrance
Rob compares Ashley riding her lime-green beach cruiser past a Hawaiian restaurant to a circus bear, complete with a bell, basket, and cookies carried inside.
Emergency-room horror stories
Callers describe a bleeding fight victim left until he fainted and a construction worker with severed fingertips waiting until his bandage erupted like a fountain, while an ER employee explains that triage follows medica
Too scared for soccer
A father asks how to persuade his wife to let their six-year-old play soccer, prompting the crew's argument that ordinary injury risk is no reason to keep a child in a bubble and a wildly unhelpful fake Dr. Phil consulta
Shelly Malil arrested
The show reports that actor Shelly Malil allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend repeatedly at her San Marcos home before surrendering at the Oceanside train station.
P1 Password chaos
Zeth and Eddie unexpectedly dominate P1 Password, while Mikey and Rebecca struggle and Ashley's clues such as 'jet' and 'blue' fail to produce 'airline.'
The Gas Monkey nearly gets flattened
Boston Rob moonwalks through Ocean Beach in a nearly blind monkey costume, narrowly avoids traffic, then gives P1 Cody a $75 gas card taped to a banana.
Is rage proof of steroids?
A listener suspects her gym-going boyfriend's public outbursts mean steroid use, but the hosts and callers argue that anger alone proves nothing and she should ask him directly instead of searching his belongings.
Michael Phelps' giant breakfast
The crew marvels that Michael Phelps reportedly eats several egg sandwiches, hash browns, oatmeal, French toast, pancakes, and bacon while consuming up to 10,000 calories a day for five-hour swim practices.
Boyfriend or pet overboard
Mikey forces Ashley to choose between boyfriend Mark and dog Sammy in a sinking-boat hypothetical, and she immediately saves Mark while Skye keeps inventing ways to avoid choosing between her husband and cats.

It is 6.08. Actor Shelly Malil, who's best known for his role in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, was arrested yesterday in Oceanside for allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend in her San Marcos home. The greatest swimmer alive, Michael Phelps, wins gold number three and breaks another world record in the 200-meter freestyle. Oh, wow. That dude is owning... Ash, they still have not fixed your light on your microphone. They still haven't fixed it. I got a... Help desk request back that confirmed that he fixed everything. Ron Fu was in here this morning swapping out light bulbs, so I don't know. Yeah, it's not working. I don't know if he missed that one. That's the only one I needed. Yeah, and he sent back and said all lamps have been checked and fixed. Zed wasn't Fu in here? He was in here yesterday, too. I saw him. The lights on the board? He was in there. I saw him right after the show yesterday. He was in there, too. And I got a help desk back.
Still broken? Yeah. Same one? Yep. Any other ones? That's the only issue I really have. Is just, oh boy. You guys ever open up a can of soda or something and it doesn't break the seal? Oh, it's the worst. Because then what do you do? You don't want to cut your thumb. You know what I mean? I usually throw it away. Is that what you do? It's ruined. It is not ruined. It is. I mean, how is she going to get it open without infecting it at this point? Oh, no. You can do it. Totally ruined. It's doable. I did it. Hey, it'll have a little grime in there. No big deal. But who's afraid of that? I think they overfill Dr. Pepper. What's up with that? Why do they do that? Yeah, whenever I open a Dr. Pepper and it's only with Dr. Pepper, it like overflows. They can't give this stuff away is what's going on. I think the flavor is just so good. It's just exploding. I'm not complaining because, hey, extra Dr. Pepper. Thank you.
Sure. Everybody wants some extra Dr. Pepper. Welcome to the show. 570-1053 is the phone number. Skye's rocking the headband. It's always a good day when she's doing that. 570-1053 is the number and the text number is 35253. So you can text us too. Open phones when we start the show off, which is fun because you can call in about anything you want. It's like a free-for-all. The rest of the show, we kind of have so much planned and we have so much material that we have to get out there. It's harder to just take phone calls about everything because we're kind of trying to stay on topic. But right now, whatever you want. So call us, 570-1053. Quick introductions and then we'll get right to it. I'm wearing a very dangerous shirt today. Oh, yeah, you are. No steak sauce for you. No.
I am very, very prone to accidents in my clothes. And I'm wearing a white shirt. And that's got me a little nervous. But we'll see how it goes. It's a fun and exciting day. My wife is coming in this morning to hang out with her girlfriends. My girlfriends, too. You know what I mean? Well, it completes the circle, you know? That's right. The girl circle. Is the boy coming or no? The sisterhood of the ya-ya sisterhood. Nah, the boy's getting watched. And yeah, because he would not be patient for hours. I'm okay with that. So other than my white shirt, I don't know what else to tell you. It's about as good as it gets. It says a lot. That's right. My yellow tomato's bloomed. I have one. I just haven't eaten it yet, and I can't wait to dive in. I'm impatient. I want it to ripen more before I cut into it, but it's just not ready yet, so I'm waiting. Listen to old man Baker, huh? He's good, man. Guy got it all dialed in. How did you get sand from the Atlantic Ocean? I know, that's what he said.
He said Tabasco. Yeah. He said an owl's feathers and sand from the Atlantic Ocean. That's unbelievable. And so I had it shipped in. Oh, that was smart. Yeah. I mean, hey, listen, the guy knows what he's doing. Right. Eddie is our producer, our sports guy. He is 35 years of age. He taught me how to play poker. And when he was a kid, he once played chicken with a squirrel and lost. That's true. That's a true story. It's a true story. I died. Yeah? It was close. I flew into the street. I almost died. Close call. You're saying that and it's making me mad because it is true. This is a true thing. Like our friend who told us yesterday he got in a boxing match with a raccoon. No, it was a possum. You guys, who got into a boxing match with a possum? I don't think we should say. Jay. No! What do you mean? He said he has this fence and there was a possum crawling on it. And he was a little tipsy at the time. Well, and the possum had been dipping into his koi pond or something. So it upset him. So he waited for it, snuck up on it, and waited until it got to this part in the fence where he couldn't go any further. And he laid him out. Punched him. You know, possums are mean, man. He punched a possum.
I would have got like a board or something. Yeah, no way would I have punched it. I'd have been afraid. No, please. You corner those suckers. They turn mean. He should have punched it with bullets. No, he should have. That would have been more effective. He shouldn't have punched it. Skye is our news girl and she's rocking that white headband. Hi. And she has naturally curly hair. She's from the Bay Area. Went to Lincoln High School. Or Pioneer. Why do I always say it? I mean, whatever. Why do I say it? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know why I always say it. Lincoln High School is nice. It's in Little Glen. My high school, remember, was in the ghetto. People are getting stabbed. Oh, my God. Remember? The ghetto is a blossom valley. Sean, you know what I'm talking about. I don't think so. Pioneer, Pioneer. There it is, three times. They were the Pioneer Mustangs. Say it like the house bunny. Now you'll remember.
Pioneer. Sean is our sound effects guy. He will be in the studio with us tomorrow. That's right. All seven of us are taking photographs, one of which will be used for our new billboard campaign. And so Sean had to come into town for it because he's in the Bay Area. Does our sound effects from the Bay Area. Sean, give the audience a little taste of what you do. Oh, now we might fire him. Cancel the plane ticket and fire him. Thank you. That is uncalled for. Did he ever even hit it yesterday? No. That's what he's doing right now, Mike. He thinks it's funny. Get him out of here. Look at him so tickled. It's a joke, man. It's a one-man joke, Eddie. It appeals to one man. Sean. Ashley is our assistant producer.
She has blonde hair, brown eyes. It's like a way to start the morning, right? I know it is. I'm thrown off. I know. Every morning at 10 o'clock, we tell him to play that sound effect, and now the whole thing has become he doesn't do it, and then he does it like a day later or something. Oh, it's a big game. Ashley is 25 years of age. She has on... So where's Waldo's shirt? Is that what it is? I call it my circus tent shirt. Yeah. Thank you. It's like a candy striper. It's cute. It's like a candy cane. That's right. She has a dog named Sammy. What is it? A wiggle. A wiggle? Yeah, isn't that what it is? It's a wiggle, yeah. It's a puggle. Half pug, half beagle. It's ugly. Oh, that's rude. Yeah, it's more like a fuggle. Please.
Yeah, it does have fleas, but it's adorable. Go to MikeyShow.com and type in blogs and see for yourself if you think that thing's adorable. Click on Ashley and you'll see. That thing is, I don't know, but adorable. Maybe we'll put a poll up. Yes. Let's put a poll up. Sean, do you want me to send you a picture of her? Yeah. Yes. Do you think that Sammy is cute? Yes, no, or undecided? How about no, hell no, no, no, no. Yeah. Boston Rob is a singer and a songwriter. Oh, hello. And a writer in general. Comedy writer. He is from New England. And he's getting married. He doesn't know when. No idea. Do you think you'll get married this year? I'd like to. Probably not going to happen. Okay.
That's the first time I heard that. I didn't know that it probably wouldn't happen this year. I thought it was. I'd love to. I asked her again last night. To marry you? What'd she say this time? Yes. Undecided now. Undecided. Did she click on undecided? Yes, she did. What did she say when you asked her if you guys can get married this year? She wants to do the big wedding. She's got a big family. She wants everyone there. Do you have money to do that? That's funny. That's a good one, Mike. Oh, man. That is a good one. He has to borrow 65 cents every morning. Does her... Is her family going to pay for it? Another good one, Mike. Well, then how do they do it? I'm not sure why he's laughing so much. Oh, man. Well, if they... See, I think that's his dilemma, Mike. Well, there is no dilemma. I'm going to pay for it. I'm going to... Rob can't pay for it. But you don't have any money. Rob, you don't have any money. Eventually, I will. Well, you can't even buy a soda, bro. Wait a minute. I know. Once his gas prices go down... It won't. It won't. It won't. It won't. It won't. It won't. It won't.
It doesn't seem like there's much of a dilemma, you know. Yeah, my grandmother used to say, want in one hand and a turd in the other. And what do you got? You just got a third. Wow. Now, was that in broken English? Yeah, she would say it actually in Spanish. And it was hard to understand. Because I didn't speak Spanish. So, of course, I asked mom, what was she saying? And she would tell me. But, yeah, you just get married then because you go, well, I want a big fancy one. Oh, we can't afford it. Not necessarily big and fancy, but she wants family there. She wants family to witness, which ultimately means that it's got to be big. She's got a lot of family members. And I don't want to upset any family members by going off and just marrying her. Yeah, okay. But doesn't that mean that if you wait until you guys are wealthy enough to afford the wedding, it could be a while. Oh, wow. Yeah, it could be a long while. 20 years. Yeah, right. It could be a common law before that. Yeah, right? Uh-oh. That means that's exactly right, Mike. You've got to keep playing those scratches one of these days. Oh, come on. That's his plan. Scratchers, Mike. I'm just kind of...
coming, like, into this right now. Like, I'm just sort of figuring it out. Like, oh, Rob's not going to get married until... And you don't know how many conversations I think both myself and Eddie have had with this kid about, hey, find somebody with a nice backyard. We'll volunteer our backyard. I offered my house. Yeah, I did too. You know, we'll rent tables and we'll do it up and... No? No. You could put a bunch of people there. I wouldn't say no 100%, but, I mean, there's still cost involved and all that. And as soon as I kind of keep digging my way out of this debt, then I'm in a lot of debt. Mike, it's that typical thing where Rob will not accept help from people. Well, I don't want money. I'm not a charity case. That's my whole thing. We want to help him throw a beautiful wedding. Yes, we'd love to. And he won't let us. So I'm not going to keep offering. I mean, I've offered. I know. I feel like I'm badgering him at this point. Like, okay. Yeah, but when's he going to get married? I don't know. It's up to him. We'll talk later then. Joker. And then finally, there is Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates. Oh, I thought that was it. No, there's one more. I don't know. I don't know about that. Sixth member of the show, or seventh member. And that's Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates, the third, junior, Esquire. Now, who's this? Tell me about this one. Kid in the other room. He's separated by glass. He's there in his isolated studio, and he's a phone screener. Really? That is correct. And he has a short haircut.
And a lot of tattoos. And he won his job. Wow. In a contest. That seems really crazy. Mikey Show-A-Frentice. In fact, I watched the news story on it just last week. So did I. The NBC Channel 739 news story. You did? Over the weekend, I showed my boyfriend. You did? Yeah, I was showing him how Zeth. And he won. Yeah. Have you seen it, Zeth? Yeah. You got to see him. Crying. It's so cute. No, he's not crying. He's so adorable. It's like Miss America when she gets to cry. It's not even 6.30 yet. I know it. It's pretty fun. It's on YouTube if people want to see it. You look so different, Mike. I know it. It's crazy how much weight you can see that you've lost. Very fat. I'm very fat. I think she's complimenting you, Mike. She's saying you look wonderful. No, no. In the video, though, I'll tell you what. That was bad. You know, different. Yes. Just a little different. Jimmy. Yeah. How are you? Good. And you? Good. Okay. My question is, why is the Olympic Committee getting rid of softball and baseball, but they're keeping men's field hockey? Like, why do they take away a great sport?
and then keep all these kind of ridiculous random sports. These are good questions. They just made a random sport. That's the Oracle. Oh, really? Well, why are they keeping air rifle and air pistol? Exactly. That's stuff I played with when I was nine. That's an Olympic thing? Yeah, it's an Olympic sport. Air pistol. That is crazy. I don't even know what the heck that is. Somebody flew to Beijing for that? Yeah. Can you imagine? You're flying all the way to China and you're going to fire a BB gun. That is crazy. I don't get it. And those guys, they don't make the Wheaties cover. No. They're not the ones. They don't even make guns and ammo. No. They don't. Can you imagine? They don't even do that. They make Airsoft magazine, though. Yeah, they do make Airsoft. Wow, that's another kind of magazine. That's right. P1 Kevin. Hey. How you guys doing? Good. Good. Hey, so I just started listening to you guys like a week ago. Uh-huh. And I was listening to Howard Stern back in the day on 105.3, and I haven't been listening to radio in a while because I'm not a morning person. Right. You guys kick butt. How did you start listening? Are you having to get up in the morning now? Yeah. Due to my legal matters,
I'm serving a work furlough sentence, and I have to be up at 5 in the morning to go to work every day. And I started filing through my channels. I was listening to Shelly. Dave Shelly Chainsaw. Yeah, it's still a little early for me. That's all right. You guys are tight. But then I started listening to 105.3, and I'm like. Watch the language. Watch the language. Yeah, yeah. What did you do? You're only 19 years old. What did you do to get in trouble? I'm an ex-heroin addict. Yeah. And I was on a wild one. And me and my buddy, we decided to invade a vacant building to see if we could come up on anything. And we didn't. And I ended up getting tased and beaten up and all that good stuff. Oh, my. But it got me clean, you know? That's good, dude. How long have you been clean? Six and a half months. Good for you. Congrats.
Good for you. Well, keep going, and I'm glad you found us, and I'm glad that you're listening and that you're liking it. Definitely. I got one thing to ask you guys. All right. I'm a mason. I just started the trade about a month ago. Is that cement? Yeah, yeah. That's a lot of cement. Yep. Well, it's like mortar. It's like stonework putting bricks together. Cool. Well, not so much for me. I'm the guy that has to mix up the cement, like 40 bags of cement. It's hard work, but, you know, I've had a gut my whole life, and now I'm starting to see some abs form out. It's pretty cool. There you go. Nice. And all my coworkers, they drink, and I don't. And they're like, hey, what are you going to do after work? I'm like, I'm going to go get a smoothie, and I'm going back to the place. And they're like, oh, well, we're going to go drink. And I'm like, oh, that's cool. And they're all asking me, you want to go to the Wave House, you want to go to Cane's, blah, blah, blah. I have nothing to relate to these guys about except for alcohol. Uh-huh. So your question is, how do you fit in? How do I fit in? Well, I try to make jokes. I try to bird call. No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm asking you if you're calling and you have that question, hey, Mikey, how do I fit in? How do I fit in? Is that what you were calling to ask? Yes.
Well, dude, you don't have to go with them, but you can, the best thing to do, in my opinion, is to tell them what the deal is. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely, dude. You know, you don't have anything to be ashamed of. Seriously, you don't. You just tell them straight up. You're like, yeah, bro, you know, I used to do heroin and I got issues with substance abuse. And you just straight up, dude, you just tell them you have issues with substance abuse and they'll respect it. Yeah, yeah. What you don't want to do, though, is hide it and try to pretend it doesn't exist because then you're going to feel uncomfortable. They're going to think that you're odd right up until you tell them what the deal is. Then they're not going to think you're odd anymore. Believe it or not, they may actually respect that you're being straight up about it. Trying to stuff the fact that I got that substance abuse problem and I'm trying to fit in with these guys. Yeah, yeah. When you tell people what's going on in your guts,
They always respect it. Like if you even took it a step further and you're like, yeah, dude, I'm even nervous just kind of telling you. Yeah, I think so. I think so. Yeah. If you're straight up and you say what's going on in your guts, it usually, you know, people, it desensitizes people. It's like, like cuts the legs off of any weird thoughts they had. Yeah, I feel you. So I would try that, dude. All right. All right. All right. It sounds a lot better than some of the stuff that I've been thinking about. Yeah, of course. If you don't do that, you're hiding. You're keeping secrets, and then you'll start doing bad stuff. And then I want to know how you're doing. Hopefully this works out for you, and it goes good. So hopefully you call us back. You have a good progress report. Thank you very much. I'll continue to call early in the morning, so hopefully I'll get on. You got it. All right. Thanks, guys. All right. See you. Bye. Poor guy's only 19, man. Wow. That's a lot to go through. I know. But at that young age, P1 PJ is on the line. Mikey, good morning. Good morning. Hey, I was calling because I heard Rob talking about you guys busting Rob's chops about how a wedding is going to cost him a lot of money. And I got married a month ago and did not. We spent about five thousand dollars and it was unbelievable. It's it's a lot of work. But, you know, I had my best friend marry us and.
We had it at a friend's house. And, you know, it's funny that how many people have little pieces of knickknacks that can help you get through the big day. Absolutely. Yeah. Hey, just to be clear, we're not really busting his chops about a wedding being expensive. It's kind of the opposite. We're trying to let him know that you can do it without spending crazy money. We're offering our help. Yeah, we're offering help. And Rob wants to do it on his own. Well, you know, Rob. Rob, if you need any help or any suggestions at all, I'd be happy to email you how we did it. I'd be happy to email you, too. Rob has a look on his face right now that says, and I wish we'd move on. No, I'm just thinking, and, you know, I respect that. And for me to come up with $5,000 is like I'd be working until 2012 trying to get that money. And then the other half of me wants. to do a kind of cheap wedding, but I don't want to be heating up Hot Pockets and serving them as appetizers. I don't know. I don't see how it could be done. I've told him several times what to do. He just doesn't care. My brother did it the cheap way. He's like...
hundreds of thousand dollars in debt because of med school and everything. And so they did like, they had their friends be the cocktail waitresses at the reception, which was in their, you know, friend's backyard. And Sana made the invitations and from by hand. Her brother married a girl named Sana. Yeah, Sana. That thing you go into, you pour the water on the hot rocks. They had a friend bake a cake. Like their friend baked the wedding cake. You know, you just ask around. Well, there may be something else going on here. You got it? There's always two people to consider. I mean, Rob may be going, yeah, that sounds great. I might be willing to do that and let you guys help me out. But he's got somebody else to consider. And that may not be her dream to get married in one of our backyards. That's a good point. So you got two people to consider. You know me. I'm easy street. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're easy street. I do it on the beach. You know how many beaches are out here that are beautiful? It's free. Well, as long as you don't get caught, right? All right. Curiosity is getting the best of me. So I'm going to ask. B-Y-O-B. Have you said, have you said this? Hey, baby, if I can't pay for it and you can't pay for it, when are we ever going to get married? Have you ever, what happens when you say that? Well said. Yeah, that's pretty much what I was saying to her last night. And nothing, does she not respond or what does she say back? Oh, there's kind of this run around where it's, you know,
She'll go from, yeah, let's just do it cheap to, you know, if I actually start talking about it and go, okay, you know, because I've offered her Eddie's house and all that. And then you can almost see she gets scared. She doesn't want to do that. She wants things nice. You know how it is with girls. I don't know, right? Girls have this vision in their head from when they're little and how they want it done and all this. And I'm just kind of here to try to make it happen. But, you know, until I see that cash. It ain't gone. Yeah. Tough place to be. Our phone number is 570-1053. And our text number is 35253. So you can text us or call us. We got a huge show today. The Gas Monkey is out today. Oh, yeah. Boston Rob in a monkey outfit. Yeah. That's what I'm talking about. And we can give the location, right? Yeah. Today, Boston Rob is going to be in Ocean Beach. And he will be out in the 8 o'clock hour. Nice! So, in the 8 o'clock hour, you can catch Boston Rob dressed as a monkey looking for you. Looking for you in Ocean Beach. And the people that he will pull over, people that have the brand new Mikey Show P1 Army sticker on their car.
If you have that, he'll pull you over in the Rock 105.3 van, come up to you with a bunch of bananas, and you'll pick a gas card. And the gas card can be anywhere from $25 to $250. That's pretty awesome, man. That's pretty awesome. Also, Dr. Phil was out front building a canoe out of balsa wood when I was... Why would he be doing that? I have no idea. No idea. What's that all about? Why is he doing that? Why is he building that? What's that going to be for? And he was dressed as a rodeo cowboy, which I thought was really... I don't understand this. It's really strange. Rodeo cowboy. He's a weird one. I know he is. He's a strange guy. We're going to do P1 Password today. We got a really cool email. Awesome. Very interesting. Chick suspecting that her boyfriend is taking steroids. She's not sure. Oh, wow. So we'll talk about that. See what you think. P1 trivia today, so somebody can come into the studio on Friday. We're finally going to get to the YouTube clip of the day of the beatboxer, which is pretty cool. The guy's beatboxing Billy Jean, Michael Jackson. And by the way, I want to know, and Eddie says he's got the story and he's got audio, how did Aaron Rodgers do last night in his debut as the Green Bay Packers new quarterback? So we'll get to all this. Seinfeld in the stand-up spotlight. Show stand-up
I have absolutely no idea what women are thinking. I don't get it, okay? I admit, I'm not getting the signals. I am not getting it. Women, they're so subtle. They're little... Everything they do is subtle. We are not subtle. We are obvious. Women know what men want. Men know what men want. What do we want? We want women. That's it. It's the only thing we know for sure. It really is. We want women. How do we get them? Oh, we don't know about that. We don't know. The next step after that, we have no idea. This is why you see men honking car horns, yelling from construction sites. These are the best ideas we've had so far. The car horn honk. Is that the beauty? Have you seen men doing this? What is this? The man is in the car. The woman walks by the front of the car. He honks the... This man is out of ideas. I don't think she likes me. Oh, you don't even...

Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Center. We've got a problem in the northbound 15. A bad accident with a car on its side here on the ramp to westbound 52. And that's really backing up traffic out of Tierra Center right now. From before Clamont Mesa Boulevard on up to that 52 connector. So give yourself some extra time there. A lot of brake lights to deal with right now. On the westbound 52 at a Santee. Not too bad. A little tight at the top of the hill there. South 15. Getting a tough ride at Bescondido, though. That's a slow ride up to 78 down to Villarancho Parkway. punching up again to Carmel Mountain Ranch and the Poway. Other than that, Coastal Ride South 5 looking good. We've got the South Bay traffic also moving well in the 5 and 805 northbound. Getting reports of large metal object over the freeway. Northbound 163 on the ramp to eastbound 8. Cars are swerving to avoid that, so use caution taking that transition. I'm McLaurin on Rock 105.3. For nearly 80,000 California foster kids, changing homes often means getting behind in school. Eddie. I'm clearly the best. Sky. I never, ever spend money. Sean. I am acceptable to natural phenomena. I'm so athletic, man. And Ashley. I do have a lot of best friends, yeah. On Rock 105.3. The Mikey Show at 642. Heroes star Hayden Panettiere's dad was arrested yesterday for domestic violence after he allegedly hit his wife. Well, this was a little bit of a surprise at the Olympics. The U.S. men's gymnastic team actually medaled. They won the bronze in the team competition. Mikey just wanted to let you know that Sean hitting the kiosk sound effect is not a one-person joke. I happen to love it and find it hilarious. That's P1 Tommy. I have no idea why he wrote it. Tommy's out of his mind, apparently.
Mikey, what is the band and song name of the song that you played at the end of the Mikey show on Fridays? It's about hope. That is third day, and the song's called Tunnel. Eddie, did you get Madden last night? I've been up all night playing. It is... Yeah, I stayed until midnight and went to GameStop at 12.01 so that I could get... No, I wake up at 3.30 in the morning, so... A little busy, but I really would like to. Here's the deal with my Madden thing. I get Madden every year. Every year. And I play almost a full season usually, and then I'm done with it. I don't go back to Madden because I've got so many other games I play. And so I'm almost thinking, is it worth it for me to buy it every year? Is it? If you want to get it for me, that's fine. Okay, just throwing it out there.
But is there a huge difference from year to year? Well, I mean, they update the rosters, and there are always advances in the technology, so you have different things and different options and things like that, which are awesome. But I'm just like, man, I have Madden from 1998 on, like 10 years of Madden. Sega? Yeah. I have an interesting way that I go about Madden. I generally try to get it each year and play it for about five minutes, get frustrated, and never put it back in again. Well, now that's upsetting. I can't figure it out. Get irritated. I love it. Eddie, I'm telling you, man. You remember that one time? I played at your house, and I won. How many times? Mike's never beat me in a video game. This was the one time. He was beating me. It's terrible. And he was kind of talking smack like, oh, I'm finally going to beat you. And I was like, all right. Because he scored late and he kicked off to me and I ran the kickoff back with no time left to beat him. I threw down the controller and walked out of his place. Not saying a word. Very dramatic. It was one of the greatest video game moments of all time. That's right. Wow. Yeah.
I don't know what it is, Eddie, because I know the basic controls and how to do it. But for whatever reason, when I got it on PS3 and I tried it, it was like it was different. Yeah, man. I couldn't get it. And P1 Matt Damon. He taught me that I can even go online and play other guys. And so I went online and I found this guy that had like never picked up a game before and he killed me. He beat me like 74 to nothing. That's not good. Guess who's on the line right now? It's P1 Tony. Sarissa's dad is on the line. Oh, yeah. Hey, Tony. Tony. Uncle Tony. Hey, what's up? How you doing? I'm doing great, man. This is Rob's fiance's dad. Good morning, everyone. Good morning. Hi. Hi. Who's that? Sky? That's Sky. Hey, Sky. Hi. So, Tony, I assume you've heard all of this, you know, wedding talk. Oh, yeah. And it sounds like it might be a while. Well, you know, I just want Rob to know that he needs to have a little faith, you know. We'll make it happen when it's time. When the time is right. That's right. That's right. Who knows? It could be this year.
It could be next year. It could be 2026. The point is that love will wait a decade if need be. Of course it will. You guys are failing to understand that it's up to my daughter. You know what I mean? That's right. That's what I'm saying. She'll come to me when it's time and she'll ask me and then we'll make it happen. That's right. Well, I hope she does. We want to see these two kids happy and married. Well, I want them to be happy for sure. You know, they seem to be moving in the right direction. How about married? Yeah. I mean, it's totally up to those two, you know? Yeah. I'm out of the loop on that one. That's right. Well, we hope it all works out and they're a lovely couple and they will have... A handsome child. Oh, yes. And a masculine child. That means I'll be a grandfather. That's right. I'm not looking forward to that. Hey, Tony, you're going to be a grandfather. Come on, Tony! Hey, Grandpa Tony, huh? No, no, listen, that's just life. You know, that's the way it is. And, you know, ultimately, you know, being a grandfather is pretty cool, actually. It's going to be great. It's going to be great.
That means you get to babysit and you get to change diapers again and you get to do the whole thing all over again. That's right. I got good practice with the other two. That's right. That's right. All right, Tony. Well, we wish these two kids the best. So do I. You're the best, Uncle Tony. Do you call him Uncle Tony for real? Why Uncle Tony? Are you Sarissa related? Yeah, Uncle Tommy. That's really kind of creepy. That would make him your mom or dad's brother. I've always called him that. Yeah. Because I originally started hanging out with him and Sarissa's cousin before. Were you nervous when you had to ask him if you could date his daughter? Oh, heck yeah, dude. Yeah. Heck yeah. Did you sound like Luca Brazzi in The Godfather? I would like to offer on the day of your daughter's wedding. May your daughter's wedding. Hey, I'm just an Italian guy from the North End in Boston. There you go. You guys have a lot in common. Absolutely. There you go. That's a wicked pisser, huh? There we go. He's coming out of him. This guy wants to be married, and this girl wants to be married. And you go, yeah, sure, whatever. All right.
Well, thank you, Uncle Tony. Yeah, no worries. All right, we'll see you. Keep it filthy. There you go. That was wicked cool. That was Uncle Tony. Yesterday, I had a lunch, a business lunch, but the rest of the crew here went to lunch at a Hawaiian place. I know. I almost took a picture of my food with the phone to send it to you, but then I figured that'd just be cruel. Yeah, it would, because I love Hawaiian food. Did you like it, Sky? Yeah. It wasn't too bad. Where'd you guys go? I don't know. Big kahunas. Big kahunas. Yeah. Big kahuna bugger. Eddie, what did you get? Clue of pork, of course. Was it good? Delicious. Oh, that's awesome. Absolutely. I understand that our program director, Shauna, went with you and refused to eat. She is like a little kid. What's her problem? She's like a little kid. What's her problem? We were all doing our stuff, and everybody was starving, so we swing by this place to get the food, and everybody...
I mean, to a man, Mike, wanted Hawaiian food. That's a lie. These are lies. This is the fabrication of the story. No, the two women. No, like half of the people wanted. Sky, don't you do it. You and Shauna were the only two. And Ash. She wasn't eating. I was going to eat if we were going to go to Philippi's. So that was the choices, Philippi's or Hawaiian? Yeah. You know what would have happened if I'd have been there? It would have been no choice. We were going to Hawaiian. Hawaiian place. Hawaiian place. Hawaiian place. And we're the children. We are the children as they're chanting and clapping. Kicking and screaming like a little kid. So she didn't eat? She didn't eat? She finally did. Yeah, what'd she get? Like a Hawaiian bowl? She probably loved it. Yeah, she did. And she acted like a jackass. These ladies. Ladies don't understand that sometimes those hearty, you know, they don't want hearty. They don't want stuff on the bone. Women have a problem with food that's on the bone. My wife's like that, and Sky is definitely like that. Yeah, because I didn't know what to order, and Rob has been there a bunch of times, so he said get the teriyaki chicken. Which you love. That was the first question I asked. I said, is it on the bone? And he said, no. And I said, okay, then I will order that. Is it true that Ashley came riding up? We probably shouldn't talk about it. This is what Rob said.
When he wrote me about what happened yesterday. Wait. It says, I witnessed Ashley riding up to Big Kahunas on a bike yesterday. She was alone on her beach cruiser and not with me riding tandem with her. Because he rode a bike with her one time tandem. He says, it was a spectacle. It was. Yeah. He says, it reminded me of one of those circus bears that they make ride a bike. where the bear is not too sure what it's doing, but it thinks it's having fun. That's a great call. And in parentheses, he put, with all due respect. He says, I am guessing bikes are not really her thing. It was something else. It must have been ridiculous. Well, first of all, this thing is like lime green. It's disgusting. And she rides by. And rides by the window and goes right past it. And we're like, what the heck was that? I would have loved to see this. It was like Pee Wee Herman. Oh, man. Did you have a little horn on there? Yeah, she has a bell in a basket. A bell with a thumb bell, you know, where you do it with your thumb? She does. That is great. And parked it inside the restaurant. Yes, she did. With cookies. I brought cookies for the table. And brought cookies into the restaurant.
She's fantastic. They were delicious. Were they not? They were disgusting. Oh, no. You made me. You know what she made last night for the first time in her life? She's never cooked this before. Steak and mashed potatoes. She made it for her boyfriend, and she'd never made a steak before. She never cooked a steak before. So she did it for the first time. Crazy. And mashed potatoes. Thank you. And she said that both turned out delicious, and he loved it. That poor guy. Yeah. She made him a cake, too. He did love it. You don't know. Our text number is 35253. So let me tell you a little bit about AIS, the company that has saved me $1,600 a year on auto insurance. I can tell you that the price of gas has dropped a little bit, but it's still very expensive. Because for most of you listening, it means that you're going to save money on your auto insurance just flat out. I don't know who you have right now. I don't know who your auto insurance carrier is. But I can tell you that you'll save if you switch to AIS. 800-777-4000. 4247-800-777-4AIS. Check out their website, AISinsurance.com. On average, AIS clients save $850 a year. If you have saved money with AIS, we'd love to put you on the radio. We have lots of people that have called us and said, Mikey, I took your advice and I went to AIS and this is how much I've saved. I am a very good driver, but terrible Parker. Sky. For the record, I will not respond to the name. Sean. I have cried while watching Star Trek. Boston Rob. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. I love... They're my favorite. On Rock 105.3. It's a Mikey show. A California bill that's close to passing would make it so bullies who use text messaging or the internet to pick on other classmates can be expelled from school. A Packers new era began last night. Aaron Rodgers made his debut for the Pack throwing a touchdown and an interception. Says it felt real good. It felt great. The fans, the response was great. Signing being out there under center. We had a false start in the first play, but it was good to get out there and make some plays. The guys did a great job up front. James made a great catch and run. And it was good to get back out there and play somebody other than on defense. Did you watch, Eddie? Yeah. How did you think he looked? I thought he did okay. I mean, the interception wasn't really his fault. It was...
Dropped pass by a receiver. I thought he did pretty good. You know, I mean, he got a huge ovation. Really? Yeah, really huge ovation by the Packers crowd. Really? I mean, ESPN showing all the signs in the crowd, and all of them were like, you know, see you, Favre, let's go, Rodgers. Really? I mean, it was all like that. You know, like, Mr. Rodgers neighborhood, and Favre you later, and all this stuff. I'm like, holy moly. Crazy. I don't think that most people dug the stuff that happened. Apparently not. I don't think people dug it. Text messages that we're getting. Mikey, this is P1 Bobo. Tell Rob, join the Army National Guard and get a $20,000 bonus. What? There you go, Rob. Just for signing up. That's what it says. Hey, my wife, Lori, and Kimber are here. They're all walking in the studio. Hi, guys. Do we have chairs? Do we have chairs? Alright, cool. Get them all set up. A thousand dollar bonus for joining the army. Where do I sign? Seriously. I didn't know that. That would get me halfway out of debt. Okay. And all the way to Iraq. There you go. Mikey, love you guys. You guys should set up an online donation site. Help B-Rob get hitched. Mikey, P1s should help raise money for Rob's wedding.
Maybe we can pay a fee to throw a pie at him or for the highest bidder to clean a P1's house. Hey, Rob, don't you get a tax return? Yeah, I do. Yeah, I do, Mike. I paid off my court expenses with my last one. Oh, there you go. And cigarettes. Yes, many cottons of cigarettes from Tijuana. Nice. They're cheaper. And if you go to bostonrob.gov. Hey, Eddie, I was wondering if you saw The King of Kong. That documentary was great. It's a story that will touch the heartstrings of any gamer P1 flying Hawaiian. I have not seen it. I am aware of it, and I will see it. Sean suggested it to me, and it was phenomenal. Oh, you saw it? Yes. Oh, was it good? Oh, dude.
It's fantastic. Oh, it's great. Oh, man. It's great. Like, it's so much to take in. Yeah. There's a lot to process. There's a lot to process. But after you see it, you just kind of look at the person you watched it with and you go, you just stare at each other and then every once in a while go, right? Yeah, it's true. Mikey, when I think about Rob's wedding, all I can think of is how classy Rob's tattoo is going to look during the ceremony. My tuxedo t-shirt will cover that up. Is that right? It'll be a turtleneck tuxedo t-shirt. Of course, because he wants to be classy. By the way, before we went to break, I said I would tell you who's going to be playing the Super Bowl. Bruce Springsteen. Mike. Mike. So we've had Paul McCartney, Tom Petty, and Bruce Springsteen.
I mean, like, really? That's only because Roy Orbison is dead. But I do believe he is bringing the E Street Band, so hopefully... Okay. Whatever. Not my favorite. No one's favorite, Mike. What about, like, Sammy Hagar or something? That'd be fun. Doing I Can't Drive 55, maybe some band songs, something like that. I just want to get back to the thing where they had, like, multiple acts. Yeah. And they play together. That's cool. A little montage. I wouldn't mind a country act if there's also a rock act and a pop act. You do it all. Touch on a little bit of everything. We were also talking about ER stuff and people that have had weird stories in the ER. And P1 Eric. Eric, was this here in San Diego? Yeah, it was in National City. What happened to you?
I got into a fight and went through a piece of glass and got like a six or seven inch cut on my back and went to the hospital and had a beach towel soaking up the blood. It was dripping all over the place, all over the chair. And the young lady that was there, she looked like she was maybe 17. She said, oh, you're fine. And everybody in there with a cough was going in before me. About an hour and a half later, when I finally did pass out, they finally took me in. Oh, wow. Holy moly. Half hours later. I have a question. that they make people that they think, like, okay, because this guy was in a fight. Do you think that they ever go, well, this guy, you know, it's his fault. He blah, blah, but he got into a fight. I'm letting the people in that really, you know. They're not supposed to. They're not supposed to. They're supposed to go by who needs it the most. Right. But who knows? Who knows? All right, dude. Thanks for the call. Hey, P1 Lee. Yeah. What happened? I'm working at a construction shop. A buddy of mine is on the table saw, not paying attention to what he's doing. Oh, no. He's lost the tip of three fingers off. Oh! Oh! This is, I can't hear. Don't he care? I can't hear these stories. I can't. What happened? Well, we're pretty close to the hospital, so I take my T-shirt off, wrap it around his hand, have him put the pressure on it, drop him to the ER, and the person working the window there puts us out in what I call a general population. You know, they put you there until your church doesn't need to begin. Yeah. Come on.
So after some time, the t-shirt's a little full and starts dripping the floor and sets up some compressed bandage out to replace it. Pulls the t-shirt off, the fountain begins. No, no. This guy's having a hard time. I think he was just a little tipsy. Oh, wow. This is just the tip of the iceberg. You get it? You get it? They need to outlaw saws. Go ahead. Mothers are screaming. Kids are crying and panicking. Oh, my God. I'm telling you. That ER is nuts. That ER is a crazy, nutty. That finger over here needs some help. Yeah. That's crazy. All right, dude. Hey, thank you for calling. All right. What does it take to see the doctor? Yeah, when did you finally get in? Or he finally get in? It's brutal.
We were probably out there for about 45 minutes when they changed the bandage, and after the fountain began, they decided maybe we should get on in. Yeah, probably. Well, when you think about it, if you have an issue and you've got to go to the ER, or if you're sick and you're considering going to urgent care, you know you've got to block out six hours. Oh, yeah. You know that, right, in your head? Just cancel the rest of your day. Yeah, you know it's going to be about six hours before anything, before you're back home again. In fact, when you leave your house, look at your watch and go, I want to notice what time it is when I'm walking back in this door. Because it's probably going to be six hours. That's awful. At least. Yeah, things are a little messed up with the whole health care thing. P1 Baby Mama. Yes, sir. What do you got? You guys are going to tear me apart because I work in the ER. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. No, listen, apparently it's not your fault. It's just the system. Yeah. I guess. I mean, I'm not a nurse. I'm a secretary in the emergency room. But, you know, I sit out there and I look at people and I'm like, what in the heck are they still doing out in the waiting room? But there's nothing I can say about it. Now, what do you mean? Are you thinking to yourself, how come they're not getting them in there? Exactly. Right.
Exactly. And do you know, since you work in the system, do you know why they're not? Well, they take patients back by severity of illness. Okay. So if there's a person sitting next to you with chest pain, they, you know, they need to take that person back first. Right. Even if you did lose a finger. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yep. So. So if you're not being seen, it's because they feel like, yeah, you can wait. Exactly. You're good to go. Or, yeah, exactly. Yep. Well, I mean, I don't know. I don't know how to fix it. There's nothing they can really do if that's how they're taking people, you know? There's nothing you can do about it. But, I mean, they're constantly, like, brainstorming to try to find a better way, a better flow for the ER. It's always, it's a work in progress, always. There you go. Thank you. Yeah. Do you have a story of something that happened? Oh, I mean, I have a million stories, but I think my favorite are probably the drunks.
the people that come in tripping on drugs. You probably see a lot of that. Sorry. Yeah. It's entertaining, to be totally honest with you. There you go. P1 Frazier, are you there? Frazier's... Oh, where's Niles, Skye? My mom has a crazy one where she took my grandma in. It was winter and the flu was going around. And, you know, my mom's very cautious when it comes to my grandma. She has a sniffle. It's like, get her to the emergency room. Oh, my gosh. She's old, you know. So they're in the emergency room and it's like two o'clock in the morning. Some dude rolls in sopping wet. And this is like winter. I think it's like January. Sopping wet. I don't know if the guy was on something or what had happened, but somehow he ended up jumping off one of the piers and into the ocean. And his friends fished him out and brought him to the ER and dumped him at the ER, like, sopping wet, like, borderline, like, looking like my mom said, like...
hypothermia, going in shock, like he was bluish and like all messed up. And my mom said the people in the ER had like no sympathy. So my mom basically ended up having to be this guy's advocate and going, telling the people, hey, if you're not going to like help this guy, at least give me blankets so I can try and warm him up. So my mom's wrapping this dude in blankets and rubbing his shoulders like some complete random dude who was just fished out of the ocean. But yeah, they weren't going to help him for quite a while. He was all like purple and blue and stuff. Sky, remember the story of the lady in New York City? Nobody tended to her and she just slumped over and died. I mean, I don't know. I don't know what the deal is with ER. I don't know if it's that the ER people have done it for so long that they're sort of desensitized. And so they're like, eh, no big whoop. It depends if George Clooney's working or not. Is he a good ER doctor? Whoever is working on that ship. Is John Stamos also? He's a bit of a, you know, recluse. He kind of does things his own way. Scary doctor. AP1 Stingray. Mikey. What's up? First of all, let me tell you that Neil Diamond bit you did the other day, Hall of Fame. Well, thank you very much. I appreciate it.
Classic. Hey, we're in a hospital, my wife and I. She's going into labor, so I get her into the hospital. We're in Pennsylvania at the time. We hadn't moved out here yet. We get her to the hospital. The nurse comes out. They bring her a wheelchair, and I tell the nurse, hey, my wife's water's broke. She's in a little corner. Nurse. They get her in the waiting room, and they start having me fill out all these forms. And the doctor comes out and says, How far along is she? I said, well, I don't know. I mean, ask me about her contractions, and I try to give him, you know, to the best of my ability, what I think is going on. He proceeds to slap on a rubber glove and wants to do a quote-unquote inspection right there in the waiting room. No. No. No. No, he does not. So inappropriate. No. He was ready to... Do an inspection. Yeah. Turns out it's a janitor. Right? Yeah. He has no business doing that. Yeah, that was crazy. He wasn't a doctor, but he did stay at a Holiday Inn Express. So did she say, you know, I just don't feel comfortable letting you do this in the waiting room? My wife grabbed onto his hand and said, I won't even repeat what she said. Yeah, you probably can't.
Needless to say, he did the inspection somewhere else. Yeah. We got another doctor shortly after that. Supply closet. Yeah. Yeah. There you go. Hey, thank you for the phone call. All right. Take care, Mikey. Appreciate it. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 5701053. When we come back, I'm going to tell you, you know who Hayden Pantieri is? What? There was an earlier accident on the ramp from that freeway to the westbound 52.
It's pretty much now out of the way, but traffic is still jammed up here with some leftover stuff as you approach Balboa. That's a slow ride there, crawling up to the 52 freeway. Once you get past that, though, you're doing okay. South 15, you've got the usual jam up out of Escondido now, off to 78th of your Rancho Parkway, and then slows again around Carmel Mountain Ranch down to the 56. It's a clear ride all the way to Mission Valley. The King Freeway looking good all the way into downtown. And both the 5805 northbound out of the south are up to speed. On the line, I have Todd.
And Todd, how do you refer to yourself? An agent? That's right, Mikey. This is Senior Patrol Agent Todd Nagle with US Border Patrol. Or for the P-1s, this is P-1 Migra. There you go. There you go, man. And how long have you been doing what you do? I've been on the patrol seven years. And when you first went into it, you did the academy thing. That's correct. What could you tell people that would really get them excited about wanting to become a Border Patrol? What do you really love about your job? You know, this is one of those jobs, Mikey, that... I actually look forward to going to work every day. That's pretty awesome. Yeah, not many people can say that. It's very rewarding. It's not the same thing day in and day out. So, yeah, it's just one of those really exciting jobs that pays really well, and you have that government security job. So, you know, hey, what else can we say? That's pretty awesome. Now, if people want to know more, I encourage them to go to borderpatrol.gov. And, hey, Todd, thanks for coming on, man. Thank you very much, Mikey. All right, we'll see you. These strip malls are impossible. I've got a girlfriend in need of an iced coffee over here. There, honey. Right there. Park. Where? Where? There's a spot right over... You missed it. felony domestic violence. Where did it happen? Okay, so this all went down in Hollywood, of course. They had just gone out Sunday night and attended a charity event that their daughter was throwing at Eva Longoria's restaurant. Eva Longoria has a restaurant? Don't we all just go there to throw our charity events? I didn't know she had a restaurant. What is it? Did they say? Besso. So, anyway. I have a nephew named Bessa. That's true. His name's Beto. Is that what it is? Yeah. It's Beto. It's with a T. This is with an S. Beto. Beto, dude. Beto. So, according to sources, they were enjoying adult beverages. Hayden's parents were at the charity event. That'll do it. Yeah. And they left. And according to witnesses, the dad was getting a little belligerent and loud, accusing the wife of disrespecting him publicly in front of all the other people at the charity event. And they end up going home. And then the next thing you know, the mom is calling the police at three o'clock in the morning, claiming that.
Her husband had hit her. Please show up. And the officers noticed obvious injuries to her face and took the husband slash dad into custody. And he was out late yesterday afternoon on $50,000 bail. Wow. Yeah. Idiot. I used to date Hayden Pantheon. No, you didn't. I don't even know what you're talking about. But we broke up because. Yeah, I'm sure. It was a very difficult time in my life. You're 14 years old. When was this? I was going through my first divorce. Oh, boy. That's the way you make stuff up. And she couldn't understand that I was going through my own things. Really? And she was like, no, dude, I need more of your time. I need more of your time. You've heard this on television. And I was like, hey, I'm going through a divorce, man. Give me a break. Hayden Panthieri? You called her by her last name? Yeah, and she was all, no, but I need more of you. Yeah, how'd you deal with that? I just drank my problems away. Oh, really? Is that the deal? You're 14.
That's how I started doing Jägermeister straight from the bomb. From the bomb. He doesn't even know. That's my nephew. He doesn't understand because he thinks to be an adult is to do those things, but he doesn't understand. What do you guys think of this email? Mikey, I have a real problem with my wife. She doesn't want my kid to play sports. Any sports? It says, uh, like... She is afraid he will get hurt. He just turned six and I'd like to sign him up for soccer, but she freaked out and doesn't want him to. One of her girlfriend's kids got a broken leg in soccer. It was a weird accident and very rare. But she thinks if he plays, he'll automatically get a broken leg. I'm not asking for football here. It's soccer.
Do you have any ideas on what I can do to ease her mind P1 Rich? Come on. Girls play soccer. Shut your dirty mouth. Give me a break, right? I mean, if they can play. Well, see, the problem, Eddie. Really, Eddie? The problem, Eddie, is that. I used to slide tackle so many, so many people when I played soccer. What is it? You don't even know. She'd just walk around the street slide tackling people. When I was in my soccer league, I would slide tackle these little kids. Is that right? Little kids, by the way. Weren't you a little kid? Yeah, she was funny. Yeah, I would think that you would be the same age. I was. Yeah, but they were little kids. Stop saying that. Juggler. Listen, I feel... Sly tackle in the juggler. You should slide tackle the juggler? No. Soccer players know what's up. Well, no, because when you slide tackle, it's... Eddie, you're a soccer player. Do you know what's up? I'm confused by... The juggler is up here. Maybe we should consult with a professional. Today on Dr. Phil, you get excited about your life. If you're going to talk to me, you're going to have to be honest. This is going to be a changing day in your life. Did he just say go for the gold? Yeah.
I think he did. But I'm not, I'm not, I'm not going to be competing in the Olympics. I don't know. Why would he say that? I don't understand. I don't know. Slide tackle this letter though. Come on. Well, this is actually very common. Yeah. I've heard of these things before. And honestly, soccer can be a deadly sport. Well, that's not true. I've never heard of a fatality. It can be. It's not a joke. What do you mean? Well, I once saw a soccer match and. Wait, really? It's true, Eddie. It's true. A soccer player, or football, as it's called, across the pond. That's true. He tried to go for the famous bicycle kick and ended up kicking a man's head completely off. You've never seen that. No, that would have made the news. Yes, thank you. Good news is the head rolled into the net and the goal was counted. What? Well, it actually started a new game in Peru called Headball. No, not true. Fun sport, just a little messy. And your credibility here, Dr. Phil. Oh, any hoot. Soccer can be a lot more dangerous than Ashley at an all-you-can-eat buffet at five in the morning after a long flight. Mommy got to eat, you know what I'm saying? Honestly, let me talk to you about this here. You have to let your kids grow up and play sports. Now, Sky, I hope you're listening here. It's true.
You really do. You can't keep them in a bubble their entire life. It's impossible. What you need to do is get a leg up on the competition. Here's what I mean. Put little shanks at the end of your boys' soccer cleats. Do you understand what I'm saying? And then just have him start kicking away at all the other little boys' shanks. Oh, that's bad. Don't say that. He'll end up being the only one standing, and that's what will happen when all is said and done. That's how that little Kermit the Frog sounding Brit Beckham got so big. No, it isn't. He did not put shanks on his cleats. The soccer cleat shanks, eh? No. Look into it. This thing really confuses me. How is it that a father can look at his son and see a little man in there, and a mother is just looking there seeing little pigtails and poodle skirt? How is that possible? Well, Dr. Phil, just because she doesn't want to play sports. You know, Sky, I'm starting to believe that women have superpowers. What do you mean? A superpower. What's that? Well, it's called the power to overreact. Calm down, dude. It's overreaction, girl. Come on. I know plenty of men who do the same thing. And her trusty sidekick, Disappointment Boy.
Listen, P1 Mitch, I'm going to tell you right now. Tell your wife to take a chill pill. The kid ain't going to break his leg. Tell her not to worry. Having a broken leg is a lot like children playing soccer out in a field. Let me explain what I mean by this. Statistically speaking, he's probably going to crack his head open, all right? Oh, no. This is statistically speaking. You're making him break his leg. You're making him break his leg. No. He's going to have kids shooting goals with his brain. So relax. It's not statistical. I'm saying. You're not helping. Eddie, you may not even realize this, but there's a person on the show whose mother held them back from soccer. Did you know that? I didn't. I wasn't aware of this. Well, he became a perverted furry. Oh, no. Okay. I mean, that is very sick. You think about it. You think about that mother of the year. If you don't do things right. Your son could end up with glow sticks at a convention dressed like a panda bear. Okay, yeah. I don't think anybody wants that, but I will not speak bad about that lady because she's gorgeous. Now, this whole deal, Eddie, I know what you just did. I heard what you just did.
This whole thing here with this kid not being able to play soccer, I was trying to illustrate this very point to my own wife, Robin, with my first son, Jack Kerouac. Now, he was just getting into fifth grade, and we didn't know at the time that there was already a famous person with the name Jack Kerouac, so we changed his name to Bono. Well, that was unfortunate. It's another person. Well, yeah, as it turns out, there's already somebody named Bono. Yeah. So we changed his name to 911. What's your emergency? That's a name? I don't... Well, it was my maternal grandfather's name. No, it was not. This is BS. But yeah, you guessed it. Already taken. The name was already taken. So anyway, we ended up naming him Kaiser. First of all, your son, I believe, isn't it? Phil Jr.? Nope, it isn't. That would make sense, Eddie. Kaiser Sosa, actually. It's not Kaiser Permanente? You didn't go that route? That's my daughter. Oh, that's your daughter. Okay, my bad. Anyway, my son wanted to play. That's obviously a female name. That's true, yes, yes. My son wanted to play soccer. My wife was against it, and she thought that he'd break his leg. And so I told her, listen, honey, it's not that bad. To illustrate my point, I rented the movie Misery from Block. Oh, my God.
I thought it was going to help, but it turns out that James Caan was like a big wimp in the movie. He was hobbled. It made Robin get all buggy on the whole thing. We couldn't do it. What I ended up doing is I rented Tootsie. What ended up happening was I was trying to use that as my point. I said, you don't want him to end up cross-dressing and trying to have a mustache sandwich from Dabney Coleman. It ended up strange. You are all over the place. Weird, but I just... You haven't helped anybody. I hope that my advice has helped. That's your advice. What is the advice? I'm Dr. Phil. Great show, everybody. Great show. Yeah, I think I might go get some laser eye surgery now with that money. You should. You might as well. Hey, listen, in all seriousness, you're writing checks for so much less every month. You can use that money on yourself in a fun way. Yeah, I appreciate it. You know, it really helped me out. I was thinking about it, and I called them, and I went out on a whim, and, you know, they were really cool, and they hooked me up with a good auto insurance dealer and really helped me out. That's awesome. Hey, thank you for calling. Thank you. 800-777-4247. Easy way to remember it, 800-777-4AIS. No need there is to make my bed. What? Yes, there is. Doubled. My allowance should be. Why are you talking like that? Every new Star Wars toy. Buy me, you will. Most moms don't fall for Jedi mind tricks, but they may be swayed by this. Walmart is your destination for all things Star Wars The Clone Wars. Get all the best stuff, like deluxe lightsabers, clone trooper helmets, and exclusives you'll find only at Walmart. Here's another Mikey moment. LT, is there a TV show that's must-watch for you? You don't miss it week in and week out? You know, Grey's Anatomy is something that my wife and I watch. Wow. Grey's Anatomy. Come on, we're on the radio here, buddy. Ask him a question. Ask him a question, Ash. Talk a little Grey's with LT. Well, sure. So I'm assuming you've seen all seasons. Do you kind of feel that it's been getting a little bit... sticky and cheesy this past season and isn't as strong as maybe the first or second season? You know, that's what my wife was saying as we watched it. She was like, ooh, last season was so much better. I have no idea what happened the first season or whatever, but from where I picked up all of that. If you like the season you saw, season one, well, I mean, you'll go bananas. You think the Super Bowl's cool? Wait till you see season two. Now back to the Mikey Show. Rock 1F3. It's $7.50. An almond has won $1.5 million in a lawsuit accusing her ex of giving her an STD. I know everybody was worried about the mighty Angolan basketball team taking on the little U.S. American basketball team. Yeah. But don't worry. The U.S. won. Yeah, we beat them. They won 97 to 76. Yeah.
Well, Jake was confused, you know. He's going through that stage where he's trying to pick his own favorite teams. And so he had the Angola basketball team poster up in his room. I was like, no, you know, that's not a good idea. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. Welcome back. First of all, phone number 570-1053. Text number 35253 so that you can get a hold of us. Sky has a list of last year's highest paid celebrity chefs. Whoa. Yes. So these are big time chefs. You'll see a lot of them on like Chef Boyardee. What's up? Check the list. And then put it on the board.
Check it. Check the list. No, Eddie, you're talking about people you'd see on Food Network or maybe run fancy famous restaurants. He's got his own food line, bro. Mike, he's not understanding. Definitely the richest is EBOO. Yummo. Yes. Rachel Ray is number one, making $18 million last year. Isaac Hayes. Oh, Eddie, it's too... Edward? It's too soon. It's too soon. And just because his character's name was Chef doesn't mean that he was actually... This is garbage. I just figured that out. That's brilliant. I just want to let you know. Regardless of it being too soon. It's brilliant. Guy was a chef. What do you want from Eddie? Let's see. Bobby Flay is number nine on the list. Making 1.5 million. I think it's going to be the chefs. I mean, the women that are going to be the... Really? Yeah, I bet you. Paula Deen was number six, making 4.5 million last year. Is it possible? Is it possible? Lady that makes the WT stuff. Sandra Lee? Yes. No. She can't be, right? She can't be. She can't be. She can't be. She's not on there. Let's just guess somebody else. Wolfgang Puck.
Wolfgang is number two, Eddie, making $16 million. Emeril. I already guessed, I didn't know. How about Emeril? Again, already. Yan Can Cook. Eddie. Martin Yan. Ashley, yes. The donkey. What's his name? Oh, Gordon Ramsay. Gordon Ramsay. Gordon Ramsay. I got it. Number three, making $7.5 million. Delray High School Lunch Lady. Chef Tom. We know. Yeah, we know Chef Tom. Is he on the list? Check the list. I don't know. Chef Tom is not. I mean, there is a Tom on the list, but it's not our Tom. It's not Chef Tom. Julia Child. Tom Hanks. It's too soon, Sean. Sean. Sean, it's too soon. Is there something wrong with her? Anthony Bourdain. Anthony Bourdain. Number 10, Mike. Oh, number 10. 1.5 million last year. How about... Tyler Florence. Tyler Florence. He's doing Applebee's. Giada. Guy Fieri. No. Those two gay guys that were on for five minutes. No. Are they even on there anymore? No. Mario Batali. What about Emeril? Number seven. Mario Batali making three million. What about Lagasse comma Emeril? The Swedish chef. What about the Swedish chef? Look in the list. Did you check?
Don't just not say it and not check the list. Well, I don't need to check it. Don't just not say it. I think I would have noticed if the Swedish... Hey, guys. Check the name that way. Hang on. Check the spelling. Go ahead. Hold on, everybody. Who is on there? If that's Sandra Lee's on there, I'm walking out. No, you guys have already guessed all the ones that you're very familiar with. Who's left? Let's see. Number eight is one of the head judges from Top... Chef. Oh, Tom Colicchio. Tom Colicchio. Yep, $2 million. Tom Colicchio. You got to watch Tom Chef, man. He's the best. Number five is some French chef that I've never heard of. Jean-Claude Van Damme. I don't know. I'm not even going to pronounce it. Just say it. Pepe Le Pew. Yes, Pepe Le Pew, number five. And then. Number five. Let me see. Jean Paul. George St. Pierre. Right? I don't know who that is. Let me see it. I can do it. My dad has an awesome set of tools. Yeah, it's at the bottom of the page. I circled it. Oh, wow. Well said.
Jean Renat. And then the only other one you guys didn't get was number four, which was the Nobu guy making $5 million. Martin Yan, I said it. No, no. He makes that just for like a couple sushi rolls, man. That place is so expensive. Oh, Nobu. It's really expensive. Hey, Kobe beef. Kobe beef. Let's get 17 orders. Calm down. Let's see. Look what cast members are starting it up with ABC. Open the salary negotiation. Let's start talking. What show do you think is starting the process of like... ABC? Lost. You got it. Do they have problems? Is that the deal? Well, I guess word got out that Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly, who are two of the biggest stars on the show and who actually make the most money on the show, even close to double what the other people make, they opened... Talks. Salary talks. And then when the other cast. Whatever they want. Kate. Freckles. And then so when the other cast members got word of it, like, hey, these people make the most money out of all of us. And they're bitching about their salary. Like, hello. What about us? Give them whatever they want. So now ABC has all that on their hands with everybody wanting more money. Yeah. Oh, well, it's like 35 now.
How long can Lost... Oh, they said they're wrapping it up, didn't they? 2009? Yeah, they set a date. They set a date for 2009 definitively. That's it. Something like that. Like two more years, three more years? Right. It was going to go a total of five seasons. I'm kind of glad they did that. I think that's a smart move. Carrie Underwood is talking about how Tony Romo still calls her regularly. Oh, no! No, she didn't. Which, why would she do that? Like, you know what I mean? Yeah, let's just ruin his life. Didn't the guy make his ribs and leave him alone? No, no. about Tony Romo. By a vowel. A great chain of restaurants. I mean, why would she say that? Well, and check out what she actually says. So this is, she's doing an interview with Allure magazine and Carrie Underwood says that her ex, Tony Romo, still calls her regularly, but she's not always in the mood to talk. She says, quote, the phone will ring and it'll be him and I'll maybe not answer.
That is so weird, dude. Yeah, and then she goes to talk about how they both relate to each other really well. They're both in a small, grew up in a small town. Stop it. And dealing with fame. They lean on each other. He's a good kisser. Yeah. Well, I mean, forget it. Now there's fights going on between Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson. Absolutely. She's like, that's true. What is this? I wasn't expecting this. Wow, you sound really weird. List. I'll say it weird. You don't normally sound like this. That's how you talk when you call our show. But when we see you on TV and stuff, you don't sound like that. Y'all tell Tony to stop calling me. Oh, well, I mean, you're the one that said it. I mean, you don't even know. Girlfriend and everything. Yeah, Jessica Simpson. I miss him so much. You do? But how do you don't pick up the phone when he calls it?
Really? Yes, I did. Oh, that's messed up. I made it up. Why would you make it up? I want it back. You want it back? Okay. So you think lying is going to make that happen, Carrie? Yes. Oh, okay. My bad. That's a bad move. Yeah. So I decided I'm going to go over to his house and vandalize it. No, that works. You don't want to get people that way. I heard that that's the best way to get a get back is just to vandalize his house. No, no. Yeah, you should take your car key and put it to the side of his pretty little souped-up four-wheel drive. To make sure he knows it's you, like carve your name into his leather seat. Sounds like a good idea. Go buy a pair of Stetsons. No, and then I don't care to. Stetson's the hat. Stetson's the hat. What am I talking about? Tony Lama. You would think that you would know that being a country artist. I'm just saying, Carrie Underwood. Now she's mad at you already. I can't understand you, Carrie Underwood. Carrie Underwood. Carrie, I think we lost our connection. I don't know what's going on. Send me a phone.
What? Are you a song? Yeah, sing me a song. Sing me a song. So demanding. Eddie, that's all you. No, I don't want to sing. Maybe one of your faves, like every rose has its horn. No, I don't feel like. Anybody sing me a song. No, I don't want to sing. Okay, maybe Ashley. Sing her a song. Yeah, a little ditty, Ash. La, la, la, la, la, la, la. Let's sing it together. All of us? Yeah, no, no, no. Me and Ashley, we're the best singers. Oh, okay. Okay, good. What would you like to sing with Ash? Sing one of my songs. Okay, what are your songs? Let's sing Until He... What's it called again? Cheats? It's your song. It's your song. You should know. Sorry about that, guys. I just woke up. So I don't... Yeah, start singing it and I'll catch on. He's in tune inside of his... Oh, no! I miss him so much. Okay, well... We're getting into that. Bye, Carrie Underwood.
How strange that Carrie Underwood would just call out of the blue like that. She just sounds weird. It doesn't really sound like the Carrie Underwood that you would think that she would sound like. That's the weird part about it. That's what makes it so strange. Oh, she hung up. Did you guys know Sammy Hagar's opening up a restaurant in the Maui airport? Oh, Maui. That guy is getting, he's getting it. He's getting after it. Is he doing a cobble wobble? I don't know. It's called Sammy's Beach Bar and Grill. And it'll be in the Maui airport. And he says he's going to donate all the profits from the restaurant to a local children's charity in Maui. That's cool. So that's great. Everything that it makes. That's what he says. All the profits. How do you do that? How do you do that and still pay the bills and all that stuff? You're rich. I guess so. Well, it's probably like after expenses, you know, whatever. Oh, yeah, of course. Yeah, he pays all the staff and pays for the food and then writes it off. Tori Spelling is not going to be on that 90210. This is ridiculous. Donna Martin graduates! Donna Martin graduates! Donna Martin graduates! What's the deal?
Did she get caught drinking champagne and she hadn't eaten all day? She's all crazy. I hope that she's okay in that apartment by herself and that David Silver doesn't have to come over and kind of rescue her at the last minute. With her abusive boyfriend. Yeah, that's scary. That was a scary time for her. So what happened? Okay, here's the deal, Mike. So now we have reports that Tori Spelling has backed out of the 90210 show because she was offered between $10,000 to $20,000 to do an episode, but then found out that Jenny Garth and Shannon Doherty were offered between $35,000 and $50,000 per show. And Donna Martin was not a fan of that and allegedly decided she will not participate in the show. And then when the CW was asked about it, asked to issue a statement about it, they said, Oh, well, there was actually never a firm deal in place in the first place for Tori Spelling to be on the new show, even though the network decided to mention her character's name in their initial press release. Yeah, but now what? But now they're claiming, no, no, we never had...
It was never in stone, even though they put it in their first press release. Yeah, and now what for both sides? Now what for them? And now what for her? It's not like there's other stuff going on. Well, she was just, oh, there is other stuff. She's doing stuff? Yeah, she's got her reality show, which actually. That in thing? That's another thing now. It's called Tori and Dean something or other. Get mean. Yeah. Yeah. It's bad. Yeah, but actually it got the best ratings ever for the Oxygen Network the other night when they aired that episode when she gave birth to her baby girl. Wow. Yeah. But anyway, so she's going to keep doing her reality show and 90210 is going to go on without her. There it is. Yeah. There's a new study that says it's possible to be overweight and healthy. You're welcome. Thank you. Thank you. How does that happen? Well, they did a study and they said that 51% of the overweight adults had mostly normal levels of like blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, all that stuff. And then one third of the obese adults that were in the study were also in the healthy range. And then they also went on to say that one fourth of the normal weight adults in the study had unhealthy levels of, you know, blood pressure, cholesterol, all those things. So they say you can't just look at a person's shape or a person's weight and determine whether they're healthy or not.
More tests than that need to be done. Chubby's the new black. Is that right? Chubby is the new black. Yeah, once you go chubby, you never get dubby. Okay. Isn't that the saying goes like that? Yeah. Once you go fat, you never go bat? Yep. That's what I heard. This next story makes me real nervous. Uh-oh. Three finalists have been picked in the Coronado Bridge lighting project. Yes. It makes me nervous because it makes me think it's going to be something I don't like. Why does it make you think you're not going to be cute? Because I instantly think something's going to be cute. Well, three design firms, one from France, one from the UK, and one from California have been chosen as the finalists to design. You got any pictures so I can describe? No. The only picture I saw was when we talked about it a long time ago when they first started this and was on the front of the UT. And remember the bridge was all lit up in blue lights. Do you remember that cool picture? Yeah.
So that's the only picture I've seen. So these three design firms will compete against one another to who's got the best design for the Coronado Bridge. The U.S. is still in the lead with the medals. 20. Awesome! Yeah, they are not in the lead in the gold medals. China, the host country, surprisingly, has the most gold so far. But overall, the U.S. has the lead with 20. But that'll all change once track and field starts. China's not a big powerhouse. When does that get going? Probably next week. Right now it's still swimming and gymnastics and stuff like that. Who was that? Ashley's really, I guess, a fan of swimming. She knows somebody. Natalie Coughlin. Coughlin. She's the girl with no neck from the Dixie Chicks, right? No, that's not her. She was the chubby girl on the Facts of Life. No. You're just naming Natalie. She's very healthy.
There's been talk. Is it Coughlin? Is it Coughlin? My mom calls her Natalie Coughlin. We grew up calling her Natalie Coughlin. I'm confused. On the television broadcast, they're saying Coughlin. I heard last night. Sometimes any broadcasters can mispronounce this. That is true. Every once in a great while, it happens. That is true. You're comparing yourself to the great Marianne Cushy right now. I'm not saying anything about myself. I'm just saying sometimes. journalists mess up some things. It does happen. It does happen from time to time. Let's see. This is what Sean wrote about yesterday. Because Sean's coming out here today. He'll be in studio with us tomorrow. And he said that he went on to Southwest.com and they give you a number now on your ticket so you don't have to stand in line anymore. So at 2 p.m. That's when it was possible for him to go on and print the ticket, right? So he says he goes on at 2 p.m. and 3 seconds, and he was the 24th person to print tickets. I can explain. How? They hold, like, the first 20 seats back for this special club you're in or something like that. Yeah, flyer, club, business, club, something. And so I do this all the time, and I'm, like, the first person to get it, and I get, like, seat 22, and you're like, what? Really? Yeah.
Is it even worth it, I wonder, to be on it? Oh, yeah, I mean, you'll still get a great seat. And also, those first 19, 20 seats, there's like two people, you know, usually that are in that group. So you're still money. The Indian guy from 40-Year-Old Virgin, I guess, does he live here or is it that his girlfriend lives here? No, yeah, he lives in Sherman Oaks, but his ex-girlfriend lives in San Marcos. Okay, and so what happened? Well, Sunday night, so I guess they had just recently broke up, and Sunday night, Shelly Malil, which is the actor's name, he played Hazi in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, you know, the kind of angry, older Indian guy who worked at the electronics store. So he shows up to her house Sunday night, and all of a sudden, neighbors start to hear screams and things breaking, and one of the neighbors goes over there, and this dude is, like, stabbing her. No. Yeah. Crazy. Just freaked out and allegedly was stabbing her.
And he took off and the cops were called and she was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition. And so he was wanted. And so I guess he was talking to his family and they say, yeah, you need to go turn yourself in. So the police met him at the Oceanside train station last night about six o'clock and took him into custody. And he could be facing attempted murder charges. Oh, my goodness. That is crazy. This is a neighbor, cut 21. I mean, her chin was almost entirely cut off. She had a huge gash in her arm that looked like a really deep stab wound, and that was bleeding profusely. I didn't really see too much because, like I said, it was very dark. And when I tried to hold her, she asked me to hold her, and I could feel a lot of gashes in her back as well. Oh, that is terrible, man. Yeah, they're saying she was probably stabbed at least 20 times. Are you kidding me? And it was a... Oh, man, that is terrible. Yeah. That's terrible. That's too bad. We got to take a quick timeout when we come back. P1 Password. And also, we're sending out the gas monkey. Gas monkey is hitting OB this hour. What up?
So if you want to win a gas card between $25 and $250, be an OB and have the new Mikey Show P1 Army sticker on your car, and you could get pulled over by the gas monkey. Gas monkey is out right now with bananas. Next, let's play a little P1 Password. Now, I will draw names from a hat of the people on the show, and one person will be the communicator, and one person will be the what-are-you-talking-about-er. Terrible. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we'll see how that goes. We'll do that next. Don't go away. Dear people of the world, the Mikey Show is on. But at what cost is the rock? Sometimes interns around here decide to go on strike. Mikey Show, who's this? Hi, Penguin. It's Penguin. How you doing? Ah, we're fantastic. All right, Penguin. I'm going to reach into a hat. I'm going to pull out a name. You're going to pull out Sky's name, right? Yeah, Penguin. Well, we'll see. That's my girl right there. She gets it, Mike. Well, I'm going to have Eddie explain how P1Password works because I'm terrible at explaining games. These are facts. And I'm terrible at sort of... Doing the game, you know, my mind doesn't work this way, but after it's explained to me, even I get it. You have to get five out of seven in a minute. Yeah, five words out of seven. Five out of seven in a minute, so you can pass twice. Now, when we play the word on the air, listeners, you're going to hear the word, but not the person that's trying to guess what those words are. So it's pretty cool. Hang on, Penguin, all right? Okay.
Let's reach into the hat and see who's going to be doing it. Now, we're going to do something different because Rob's not here. Yeah, he's the gas monkey right now. Rob is the gas monkey, and he is out on the road looking for somebody that has a Mikey Show P1 Army sticker on their car. When he finds them, he's going to pull them over, come up to them with a bunch of bananas, let them pick one, and they're going to get a gas card. Nice. And so gas monkey is out in OB right now. Look for him if you've got a sticker on your car. So filling in for Boston Rob. This is awesome. My wife. First race is our Wheel of Fortune and not password, so we're going to see how this goes. That's right. Honey, have a seat in that chair right there. All right, so is her name in the hat? Yes. Okay, cool. All right, so I'm reaching in the hat, and the first name that I will pick will be the communicator. This will be the person that is saying the words. Zeth. Oh, gosh. He's not a good communicator. How can you understand? Zeth, are you up to the challenge?
Yeah. Zeth, you're going to be communicating to... Not me. Not me. Ashley. Eddie. Not the guesser. Rad. Headphones off. I can't hear them. Come on in here. Come on in here, Zeth. This is going to be great. This is going to be great. I don't want this. Oh, man. Zeth, no pressure. It's just Eddie that you're dealing with here. No pressure at all. Guy, be good. Okay. Come on. No pressure. No pressure. None. This is for Penguin, man. All right. So, again, we are all going to hear... Do we have the monitor turned down, by the way? Yeah, it's off. Monitor's off. Okay. So, we are all going to hear the word. Listeners, you're going to hear the word. Eddie is the only person that can't hear the word. And Zeth has to get five out of seven words. Come on, Zeth! You ready? You ready, Zeth? Yeah. Here we go. Producer. Job. Police. You.
Producer. Yes. Road. Street. Directions. Map. Yes. Opera. Singing. Phantom. Opera? Yes. Toe. Foot. Foot. Toes. Yes. Can. Soup. Beer. Glass. Greatest duo of all time, Eddie and Zeph. Holy cow. That was phenomenal. You got to speak mumble, Mike. Dude. My favorite part of that was Eddie going, what? I can't understand the guy. Holy cow. That was awesome. Hey, Penguin. Oh my God, I love this show. Seth did great for you. Hang on the line, all right? Awesome. Hang on. Wow. That was incredible. Man. Those were really good clues. Yeah, he did a good job. Yeah, he did. P1 Art. How you doing, Mikey? Pretty good, dude. How are you? Fantastic. Art, what part of town are you in?
Right now, I'm in Mira Mesa. There you go. There you go. Konnichiwa. And let's get this thing underway. I'm going to put you on hold. Hang on, all right? Thank you, sir. Pull the names for you. Let's see who we got. Who do we got, Mike? The communicator will be me. Oh, no. I'm sorry for whoever's name is next. I will be communicating with Rebecca. You could. This is going to be fine. We have a lot of experience. Well, yeah. You can't lose. You know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying. This is actually best case scenario. It really is. It really is. I mean, if Art was looking for a win, the best thing that you can imagine is me trying to communicate to my wife. So true. She speaks me. Yeah. We've got to get five out of seven. Here we go. Window. Treatment. Window. Yep. Wow. Mail. Correspondence. Bills.
Postal. A pass. Public. General. Electric. Me. Radio. DJ. Show. Handle. Okay, that's another one. She can't think of anything? What was it? Do you remember the opposite thing? Yeah. Now, how does the opposite thing work? Female. Male. Male. Uh-huh. So, what was the opposite of pot? No, that was just for mail. I got to remember that whole opposite thing. He went for like the mail bag. I got to remember the whole opposite thing. Oh, I'm awful at it. And then the other one that you couldn't get was host. When I was saying me, radio, I don't know. Title. That'd be good. And then the last one that you couldn't get was handle. Oh, that would be hard. I know.
I can't believe he got public. Yeah. I wouldn't have no way to know what to do with that. All right, last one. Well, let me tell the person that we were terrible. Art, sorry about that. We're awful. Look who it is. Sorry, Art. All right, so last, it's Ashley and Skye. The only thing we're finding out is who's going to communicate to who. Oh, you better hope that it's... P1 Harold? Yeah. How you doing, man? I'm doing good. How are you guys? I'm good. Are you ready to have... Ashley and Skye try to communicate with each other? Yeah, let's do it. This should be fun. Hang in line. As long as it's a particular way, they should be fine. The communicator is... Oh, boy. No. No. No. Disaster. Disaster. Ashley has to try to communicate. We're not going this way. No, we're not. This is bad. If Skye is communicating to Ashley and coming up with different ways to say it, it's great. Yeah, yeah. But the other way around... Mommy, sit down. Mommy's hungry. She had to get some food before sitting down. Mommy's stuffing stuff in her mouth. Oh, man. Ash, I'm going to play the word. And you're going to try to communicate the word to Sky. You think you can handle that? This is not going to be easy. Oh, boy. Okay, girl. You're focused, right? Did Mommy take her Adderall?
Okay, great. That's not good. Sorry, Harold. That is not good, Harold. That kettle corn is not for you. Yeah, what's she supposed to do? Not eat it? I can't stop eating. All right, Ash. Why are you drooling? What is she doing, you guys? Because she gets real excited when she gets food. She gets real excited. This is humiliating. All right, Ash, you ready? Good luck to you. Thank you. Good luck to you. Here we go. Radio. Work. News. In. Radio. Yes. Camera. Picture. Photograph. Take. Photographer. With. Camera. Yes. Airline. Jet. Plane. Blue. Plane. Boeing. Nope. Drum. Music. Hit. Punch. Instrument. Stick. They get one more.
Balcony. Trip. Ladder. Sorry. No. That was absolutely... Let me tell you something. I was so impressed with her with radio. The beginning was fantastic. Camera was great. The one that you couldn't get where she said jet and blue. Airline. And then I got thrown off. And then her clues for drum were hit and punch an instrument. I don't know when you punch a drum. Did I say punch? You did, I think. Snare. Bass. Music. And then the last one was fall off A. Those were the clues. Fall off A.
Wow. And congratulations. I was going to say his name. Don't you feel foolish? It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. All right. Sorry about that, Harold. Yeah, we'll see you later. Didn't quite work out. Ladies and gentlemen, the gas monkey is in OB. He's looking for people with Mikey Show P1 Army stickers on their car. Awesome! If he finds you, he'll pull you over and let you pick from a batch of bananas. It has gas cards taped to them between $25 and $2.50. So, hopefully you got one of those P1 Army stickers on your car, the new ones, and he'll pull you over. That's it? Let's see. Our text number, 35253. Our phone number is 5701053.

Because I had extra. I got a bunch so I could collect all four of the exclusive Madden NFL 09 cups from 7-Eleven. It's freezing. Well, yeah, it's a Grid Iron Ice Slurpee. We're getting word of some kind of oil or slippery something or other on the Massachusetts Avenue on-ramp to East 94. Cars are spinning out. Ending up on the shoulders. So be very careful taking that one in Lemon Grove. Once again, that's 11. I'm going to get the Massachusetts Avenue on ramp. The eastbound 94. Other than that, though, the rest of our freeways are looking pretty decent here. There is an accident in the South Bay North 805 just past Imperial Avenue. A minor slowdown left over around that. We've got the 805 looking good from there all the way up into Kearney Mesa. And that's where you hit the usual slowdown still out of Kearney Mesa over the 52. The east kind is looking great, though. The westbound 94, 852, all of them completely up to speed.
Northbound 15, a minor so down at the 52 there before you back up the speed. The south 15, a full speed now out of Escondido. A brief delay through Carmel Mountain Ranch, though, into Poway. And the westbound 56 is still seeing a few breaklights here from Carmel Country Road getting to the 5. The 5 itself, southbound looking great. From Oceanside all the way down to the border. Oh, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. Oh, my gosh. Gas Monkey's out in OB right now. Nice. Let's get him on the line. B-Rob. Yo. You're the Gas Monkey. Yeah, I am. Yeah, he is. Did you find somebody? United, dude. Get out of here. Cruising the streets of OB. The smell of patchouli and good weed is in the air. Of course. There was a bunch of P1s cruising around, but we could only pick one for today. And I got my guy. All right. So you have not got out of the car. You have got out of the car. I know. I got out of the car because I do this little monkey dance. Right. You're going to have to check out the video. So I run up to the car and I'm dancing. Today I was doing the moonwalk and then almost got nailed by a water truck. Oh, look at you. You can't see out of the monkey head. Yeah, that's a problem. That's the problem. Well, we have a monkey head for him, but you can't see out of it. No.
It's like putting on a helmet with no eyes. Yeah, it's ginormous. So we have him dressed as a monkey in OB. He just pulled over a car and he's got a bunch of bananas. Now, can we do this live on the air where you let the person take the banana? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I just got the guy pulled over, so we're out of harm's way now because after almost getting hit by three or four different cars, I think, why don't we move this to the sidewalk? He's out of harm's way. Okay, well, let's do this. First of all, let's meet this gentleman. Okay, hold on. I'm going to give him the phone. You can find out what he does and who he is and all that. Thank you, thank you. Thank you, Gas Monkey. Hey, who's this? Cody. Your name is? Cody. P1 Cody. Cody. Cody. Okay. I thought he was saying Betty, and it was really hard for me to hear, and then finally I got it. It's Cody. Yeah, last of my check, I wasn't a female. Gotcha. And Cody, what part of town are you from? Actually, I live here in OB. Okay, cool. And how long you had that Mikey Show P1 Army bumper sticker on your car? Since you guys are down at Sports Arena. Very nice. Awesome.
We were down at Qualcomm, but we understand. He looks an OB. Please, everyone. We understand. We understand. Same thing. He was down. You were down there. You got it when it first came out. And look at you. It's paying off for you. All right. Absolutely. Very nice. What do you think Rob looks like? How does he look? Like a fool. Yes, he does. That's accurate. He does, in fact, look like a fool. All right, well, what I want you to do is I want you to pick one of those bananas, and I want you to tell me how much the gas card taped to it is worth. Okay, well, I'm going to try to pull the one that's next to it. Uh-oh. I wouldn't. That's a big banana. Okay. Yeah, you can get something that way. Did you get it? Okay. It's tiny. All right, hang on. Here we go. I shouldn't have cut my fingernails. That was really weird. Did you get it? No, I'm still working on it. Wow, look at you. He's having a hard time getting those bananas. Yeah. How much? $75. $75. Nice. Very nice. Very nice. $75 gas card. Hey, that's going to come in handy for you. Yeah, it is. Yeah, let me talk to the goofy guy in the suit. All right. Hang on. Hey, contrary to what Cody said, that wasn't a banana, fellas. All right, we got you. Plantain.
Hey, good job. No plantain jokes. Yeah, we got it. We got it. About two foodies in the audience know what you're even talking about. Plantains. Rob, good job. Thank you very much, Gas Monkey. And get back here, and we'll see you in a little bit. Okay, make sure you go and check out the video when we get it up. You can see me moonwalking in the streets. Oh, it's going to be ridiculous. Yeah, we will have the video up. We will have the video up. Thank you. Thank you, Gas Monkey. Thank you. We got this just in, breaking news. What? We have tomorrow's location. Do we really? We give it out right now. All right, let me see. Let me see that. Let me take the envelope. I'm taking the envelope. Oh, yeah. Open the envelope. Don't cut yourself. Ladies and gentlemen, tomorrow we will be in the sports arena area between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. tomorrow morning. Awesome.
Tomorrow, sports arena area between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Perfect. I am not gay. I never have been gay. What do you think about this? Now it's time for the YouTube clip of the day. We didn't get to play this yesterday, so I want to do the YouTube clip of the day. YouTube's great for stuff on the radio because it's so weird, and a lot of it translates to radio because it's very good audio. This dude is doing a little Michael Jackson beatboxing. Cut 59. It's all one guy. Wow. How awesome is that? That was incredible. One guy. One dude was doing all of that stuff. Wow. I'm telling you, man, that YouTube is good for stuff.
Uh, I gotta find my email. Uh-oh. Oh, no. I gotta find my email. Find it. Oh, I found it. Oh, you found it. Oh, did he get it? Found it. Found it. Check it out. Tell me your thoughts. 570-1053 is our phone number. And our text number is 35253 to respond to the following email. Mikey, I have a serious problem. My boyfriend has some real anger issues. Uh-oh. Not necessarily with me. He's never really mean to me, but if someone cuts him off while driving, look out. He goes crazy. The other day we were in the bank, and some check of his didn't go through. He went off on the teller, yelling at her, blaming her for it. I was so embarrassed. I asked him about it, and he doesn't think it's a problem. I'm starting to think he may be using steroids. What the hell? Okay, what?
He works out a lot, and I know that this is one of the side effects. Do you think I should go through his stuff and see if I could find out? Yes. If he's using steroids. You were just answering. No. Oh. It would answer a lot of questions, P1 Nervous Girlfriend. Aww. No, you don't go through his stuff. What? Well, it's so weird. I love how when people... want to have answers, the last thing they think of is asking. Yeah, that's a great point. And you suggest that and they're like, oh my goodness, I never thought of that. Well, the reveal is much more exciting when you can just be like, what's this? Yeah, I think she should ask. That would be my advice, P1 Nervous Girl. And then go through her stuff. She's talked to him about the anger stuff. I'm trying to work it in somehow. This guy really wants her to go through the stuff. Yeah, yeah. Well, that's what I do. Yes. Yes. Come on. Yeah, I think she should ask him if he's, if you suspect, which is just a strange thing to suspect because somebody's angry. I love that jump. Yeah, like I want more info. Like if she would have said when I met him, he was sweet and even keeled, but then he started going to like a different gym and then, you know. He looked like Emo Phillips when I first met him.
And now he looks like a UFC wrestler. He looks like Carrot Top. When I first dated him, he looked like Carrot Top. Now he looks like Carrot Top. Which is weird, because what's up with Carrot Top? That's the real issue here. Why does Carrot Top look like that now? Thank you, Mike. And what's up with the mascara? The whole face. The plastic surgery. Weird. The red freckles. All right. So 570105335253. No, you don't go through his stuff. You ask him about it. And why are you making a leap from he's got anger issues to he's using steroids? He works out. Well, listen, if she has more information that's leading her to that belief, then it would make sense to ask. Yeah. Hey, is there something going on with steroids? Well, I mean, there's other side effects than just getting mad at stuff. Yeah, your testicles fall off, I think. Yeah, she should check that out. I mean, you'll have acne. Do you really get acne? Breasts will become tender and large. No. Sky's on steroids, obviously. Hey, Sky, make it up, will you? What are you talking about? She must be overdosing on it. Okay, everyone.
You must be talking about these. All right. Calm down. I mentioned that I have to garden with a sports bra on. You're not going to bring this. This was off air talk. It's huge. Says Mike, did you notice that I have this awful weird suntan? I go, what are you talking about? She goes, look at my back. And it was a sports bra. And I go, what are you doing wearing a sports bra? And she goes, well, when I garden, I can't let these be hanging around. That's because you have big jugs. Yes. Okay. Honey, if you need me, I'll be in the garden picking tomatoes. Melons. Yes. Whatever. Hey, that was the off-air talk. Stop it, Mike. I thought it was the melon garden. Shush. Anyway, so steroids, huh? I want to squeeze them. 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. P1 Anonymous is on the line. Anonymous, are you there? I am. Your ex used steroids. Yeah, he was a baseball player for San Jose State. Uh-huh. And he was just such a hothead. And, you know, we started dating in high school.
He was just a regular guy. And then after a few years, he was just totally would flip out on everything and obsessed about the way he looked and working out and being athletic and stuff like that. Did you show him that Ben Affleck after school special? What was it, Eddie? Well, Ben Affleck, one of his first big roles was an after-school special where he took steroids. Are you serious? It was an eye-opener, Mike. Sean, see if you can YouTube that. You've got to get some audio of that. That'd be great. Thank you, Anonymous. Is he listening? Is that why you're going anonymous? Yeah, he might be listening. His family and friends, do they live in San Diego? Is his family from San Diego? Yeah, I have a pretty rare name, so if I said it online, they'd probably be like, oh. No, you're not online, you're on the radio. Do you think that he's still doing this? Maybe. I mean, it was like four years ago, but he told me after we'd broken up for about a year, he had mentioned that he was, and I wasn't shocked at all. Yeah. Thank you for the call. Take it easy. Mikey Show. I once dated a guy who was taking steroids and muscle enhancers.
Some pinpoint signs would be if he was fine one minute and extremely upset the next, if his mood changes like flipping a switch, he may become really irritable, jealous, anxious, and insecure. Also, the rumors are true. If the boys downstairs have noticeably shrunken in a short amount of time, he is most likely on the juice. That's P1 Bond girl from San Jose, internet listener. So yeah, I guess that's true too. They do say that that happens. P1 Jordan. Hi, good morning. Good morning. This lady is ridiculous. I dated a guy who was on steroids. And first of all, you can totally tell the difference in their muscles, whether they go to the gym every day or if they go to the gym while being on steroids. And they look in the mirror every chance they get. And just because he gets angry at certain people does not mean he's on steroids. Yeah, that's true. That's true. I agree. And we actually had a guy call us one time. Oh, yeah. Remember that steroid dude? Oh, yeah. That was nuts, man. And he was giving us like all kinds of inside info. Uh-huh. And he said that he gave himself shots on his butt. Yep. We would go down to TJ and he would do it. He would do it in TJ? Yeah. Oh. That's weird. That is weird. That's gnarly. Thanks for the call. Thanks.

Okay, so I'm very, very, very, very excited about what I'm doing this weekend. First of all, Brian. is the general manager at BMW Encinitas. And he was committed to having BMW Encinitas be put on the map here in San Diego. He wanted BMW Encinitas to be the premier BMW dealership in San Diego. And I was really stoked that he wanted the Mikey show to be the driving force because he knew that I have trust with our listeners.
Now, he also kind of gets freaked out by me because I'm so excited about the product. And I went and saw him yesterday, and he's always kind of freaked out by how crazy I am about the product. But this weekend, on Saturday, I will be at BMW Encinitas. We're doing this big red tag event. And I realize I'm taking longer than 60 seconds to tell you about this, but I'm all gnarly crazy. My wife's been hearing about her, like, for the last week. Here's what I'm going to do. They are letting me pick five cars. that I love. And they're going to let me pick the color combination. In their inventory, they've got all these cars. And so I'm going through all their inventory to pick out five cars that I dig. And what they said was, try to do one from each of the series. So I'm going to pick out a three series, a five series, a seven series, maybe like the new X6, maybe like an M5, an M3. I'll be picking five BMW vehicles with
the leather I like, the color I like, the whatever I like, they're going to park them on the dealership. And then this weekend, they're going to have red tags on them. And the red tag deal basically means you walk in there. I already went through with Brian and said, we need to get a fair price for P1s. The red tag, no negotiation. So you go in there and you know how usually when you get a car, they're like, Let me talk to my manager. And they come back and they're like, well, my manager said this. And you're like, uh, okay, well, what about this? And he's like, I don't know. Let me go see. And he goes back and comes back. He's like, well, we're getting close. Forget all that. There is no negotiation. It's already been negotiated and it's on a red tag and it's a killer price and you don't have to negotiate. And that's on all the cars out there this weekend when I'm there that have the red tags on them. Plus. The five cars that I go through and pick especially that I really dig. And trust me, not to be all metro about it, but I'm going to pick you a killer color combination. Even my wife loves my car. The color combination, if I do say so myself, is pretty awesome. It's alpine white. And then the inside is like a cream color.
with wood trim. Hey, it's good, right? That's my wife saying, uh-huh. She brought her friends here. So this weekend, one o'clock in the afternoon, this is past being like any kind of an advertisement. This is just my life. Like, I'm into this. As a matter of fact, they said to me yesterday, well, how long are you going to be out there? And I go, I don't know. I might just want to, I don't know. I'm going to go out and hang out. So I get there at one. That part, we do know. And I'm just going to hang out and I'm going to, like, help sell cars. And I'm just going to be out there because I love BMW. BMW Encinitas. It's on Encinitas Boulevard. It's between the 5 and El Camino Real. And you know me. I love cars. And these are the best cars in the world. Encinitas. BMWencinitas.com is their website. But come out and see me on Saturday at 1 o'clock. It's going to be rad. You're the it hurts when you're away one. You're the thinking of you even when one mile's apart one.

Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. It is 9-0-7. Actor Shelly Malil, who's best known for his role in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, was arrested yesterday in Oceanside for allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend in her San Marcos home. Michael Phelps is the greatest swimmer ever. He wins gold medal number three and breaks another world record in the 200-meter freestyle. He talks about tying the career record for gold medals. It's a pretty special feeling. Having people like Carl Lewis and Mark Spitz, these great American Olympic athletes, to be able to be in the same sentence as those guys is just incredible. There's a lot more swimming left. You know, my goal is try to keep the ball rolling. That dude talks like, I'd say, pretty cool. Dude, last night they were talking about on the coverage of the Olympic coverage, they were talking about what he eats. Did you see that? Yeah. What?
Crazy. Nails. Does he really? Dude. Come on. He's an Olympic swimmer. But he has to to keep, you know, because he burns so much calories. He swims for five hours every day. Five hours every day. Every day. So what does he eat? For breakfast, he eats three like egg sandwiches. No way. Oh, I'm not even close to being done. Wait, wait, wait. Did they describe like... It's egg, cheese, and like some sort of meat on a... Like Wonder Bread type bread? No, no, like a sourdough or like any kind of toasted bread. Right. Like they're egg sandwiches, you know. Okay, gotcha. Hash browns, oatmeal, French toast. You're telling me Boy Blunder is an Olympic swimmer? This kid has a six pack. He could be. Chocolate chip pancakes, bacon. Wait, wait, wait, wait. You're not still talking breakfast, right? This is all breakfast every day. He's supposed to intake. How is that possible? He's supposed to intake, get this, 8,000 to 10,000 calories a day. That's how much to be able to endure the training that he's doing in the pool, five hours a day. Wow, dude. That is insane. Yeah. Yeah, it's crazy. And he's 6'4", and he's a rail. I mean, he's just skinny, but not.
Got muscle, obviously. That is crazy, dude. Yeah. And the really crazy thing is he's only like 23. Yeah, he's a kid. So he's got another probably few Olympics left, right? Maybe. Dude could probably still swim at a competitive level at 31, right? You never know. Isn't there like a 40-year-old chick on the U.S. team? She looks great. Yeah, she's killing it. Ashley just ate that stuff in the last break, which I thought was pretty amazing. It was very impressive. She's an Olympic eater. Oh my gosh. She's going for it. A couple of directions that I want to go in. That's not the direction I want to go. You don't want to go north? I don't want to go north. Let's see here. Last night. Can't tell you that yet. I keep that one on the deal for a little bit longer. And I don't want to do stuff about Mac because it depresses me. Sad. Do you guys know Nigel Lithgow is leaving American Idol as their executive producer? Which trips me out because, I mean, you'd think he's making a ton of dough doing that. Like, who walks away? Like, why would he be leaving it?
Maybe he still has ownership of it, but he doesn't have to do the work. That's my understanding, that he'll still have a little bit of a financial stake in it, but he won't be part of the day-to-day stuff. And I know he said he wanted to focus a lot more on his TV show, So You Think You Can Dance, which they're going to expand into other countries because it's so successful. Well, I don't think I can. I don't think I can. You don't think you can dance? If he had a show called So You Don't Think You Can Dance. I'd do that. I'd be there and I'd be like, hi, my name's Mike. I can't. And I'd show him. Kind of bob your head. This guy's a good dancer. Eddie, why do you do that every time I say... You know why he does that. He's a kid on the playground pulling my pigtails. Don't have such a high opinion of yourself, sweetheart. Listen, she's a great dancer. There's no doubt about it. Oh, look at that look he gives. Do you see what he's doing? She's all right. He wants her to be like, no, Eddie, don't get me. He's goading you in. He's goading you in. Don't fall for it, Skye. That's cool. No, we're cool. We're cool. You want to do some of this? P1 Trivia is only for P1s. A P1 listener is a Mikey Show listener. When they call in, they turn their radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss.

In fact, I've never in my career in radio, I've never come across another show where the listeners are as crazy for the show. Like, crazy for the show. Dedicated. They're very dedicated. They have fan websites. It's pretty cool. They're a whole army. Now... If you win P1 Trivia, you get to come hang out in the studio Friday. You get a backstage pass. It's like a laminated backstage pass that you get to wear. You get to come in. We have breakfast catered. And you get to watch the show. You get to hang out in the studio with us while the show goes on. All you need to do is really know Mikey Show Trivia. And some of you do, some of you don't. If you're a new listener, this game is not for you.
But it is for you in terms of getting to learn things about the show. It's good for that. So if you can come in on Friday, call us right now, 570-1053-P1. Adam, how are you? Hey, Mikey, how's it going? Pretty good. Adam? Yes, sir. How old are you? I am 26. And how long have you been listening? I'd say about two, three years. And I listened to you back in high school when in the dark years. Oh, wow. The dark years. Love it. I'm starting to get that a lot now. Are you? Not the dark year stuff. Isn't that a trip? I'm starting to get the whole I listened to you in high school thing. Yeah, I listened to you when I was a kid, man. Mandatory Metallica. How does that make you feel, Mike? Don't say that. Legendary. You must be thinking of someone else. Some other Mikey show. Yeah, yeah. You're thinking of Mark the Shark. Let's get your competition here. P1 Nina. How are you? I'm good. How are you? I'm good. How are you?
How's the Pinta in Santa Maria? First time you heard that one. I'm sure. Nina, how long have you been listening? About three years. Three years? Nice. Three years. Since Plymouth Rock, Mike. Wow. That's a long time. I mean, they just keep coming. Zach just instant messaged me and said that he listened to me in high school, too. Yep. A jerk. That is not cool. I'm just saying. Fire him, Mike. Eddie, you're just looking for an excuse. Yeah, I mean, how many times have you said that today? He yells it out randomly. Fire him. He yells that out all the time. I got fired twice on the way to lunch yesterday. That's right. You deserved it. Let's see. All right, ladies first. Nina, we'll start with you. Okay. Are you an African-American girl? No. You're not? No. I thought, yeah. Sorry about that. We're looking for an African-American girl. Sorry about that. No, Nina, are you ready? Yes. All right. It works like the Dumb Chick Challenge. You got to get the five points and you get to pick either a one, two, or three-point question. Ones are easy. Threes are hard. Okay. What do you want? A two. Two. Your two-point question is, who tells the infamous bear story? The bear story? Would that be you? That is incorrect. Well, technically, I tell it. It is worded weird.
We're going to scratch that question. Scratch it, Mike. Scratching that question. Can she explain the bear story? Hey. Do you know the bear story? I'm not sure. It has to do with peanut butter on the face and boy. Got attacked. All right. Let me give you another question. Are you ready? Yes. All right. Here's your two point question. Our program director. That would be Shauna. That is correct. That is correct. Nina's got two points. Yes, Mikey. What are you going to do? A one, two, or three-pointer? Give me a two, please. You got it. Mom, Pac-Man. Let's see. What are the names of Mikey and Eddie's alter egos that are from Mira Mesa? Oh, man. I know you guys stopped doing them because you offended too many people. We didn't. We did not. We didn't offend anybody. Stupid Imus. I don't know, Mike.
It's Ying and Yang. That is a tough question, though, because we haven't done it in so long. He's been listening two to three years, he says. Yeah. P1 Nina. One, two, or three-pointer. A three-pointer will wrap it up, or you could play it safe. You know what? I'll go ahead and try for the three. Oh, you are crazy. You are crazy. You got some nerve, lady. That takes some rocks. You got a screw loose. You got a screw loose. All right, you ready? I picked the right one. Oh, man, that is hard. Ooh, I can't ask that one. Okay, you ready? Which member of the show did not bring their spouse to their high school reunion? B-Rob, Seth, and Ashley are not old enough. Well, there's no one named Seth on the show. Seth is my favorite. Well, Seth. Which member of the show did not...
bring their spouse to their high school reunion so they could flirt. Wait, I added that part. I'm going to give it away. Sorry, I'm ruining the integrity of the bit. That is cool. I agree. It is true. I agree. It was totally messed up, but if she had a chance to do it over, she wouldn't do it that way. It was messed up, though. She's right. No. She would do it that way. No, I said you're messed up. You're lying. I obviously thought you meant. You're lying. Adam, you get to come in, too. You did very well. He did? You did? Yeah, I thought he did pretty good. You both get to come in. Hang on the line, okay? All right, thanks. All right. Eddie says we must break. Oh, chatty. Don't you root anybody? has a list. She has a list of 20 actors. Eddie, you're going to love this. Eddie loves this kind of thing. What is it? 20 actors who turned down important roles. Oh, I love this. Eddie likes that. And it is pretty fun. It's like, you know, you never knew that this guy actually got offered the role of this big role. So it's that kind of thing. We'll do that when we come back. Thank you, man. We appreciate it. Thank you very much.

What are you talking about? It was originally cast that way. Remember when Sinbad was supposed to play Hurricane in the movie Hurricane instead of Denzel Washington? Sinbad was supposed to. Sinbad was supposed to. And he turned it down. It was really a shame that he did. How about Robert De Niro Al Pacino? They were supposed to be in Dumb and Dumber. Any sort of legitimate guess is appreciated at this time. So do whatever you like. Ash, thank you. What movie actor turned down a role that was, you know. Robert De Niro. Okay. In what? Like Robert De Niro. That's for me to know and you to be right. And there it is. There you go. She's really good. And take that. Community. Give me an example, Scott. Give me one.
Number 20 on the list is Tom Hanks, who turned down the role of Rey in Field of Dreams. Really? And also turned down... Boba Fett. He was supposed to play Boba Fett. He was supposed to play the shark in Jaws. Yes, wasn't he the shark originally cast as that? Tom Hanks also turned down... No, that was Louis Anderson. Oh, that's who it was. Also turned down the role of Andy in The Shawshank Redemption and also the lead role in Jerry Maguire. Wait, who turned down Andy? Tom Hanks? Tom Hanks. He was going to be Jay McGuire? He turned down all three of those roles. Whoa. That's not smart. I bet they're all not smart, huh? It's all popular. It's all popular. I heard that. Oh, man, this is so messed up. Ashley just IM me Terry Shivo in What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Ashley, that's terrible. Why do you do that? That's terrible. Why do you do that? That's terrible. Why do you do that? That's terrible. Except for that one time. Give me another one, Sky. Hoffman. Yeah, Hoffman. Dennis Hoffman. In Tootsie. Dennis Hoffman. He turned down Tootsie. Number 19 is John Travolta. Turned down Dustin Hoffman's role. Kramer versus Kramer. No. No kissing the audience. No one wants those kisses right now. Everyone's upset.
I didn't even know it was coming, so I couldn't prepare. He was supposed to play babe. That's a pig, Eddie. Have you seen John Travolta? Yes. He lost the role to Rosie O'Donnell. Sean. So, number 19 is John Travolta, who turned down the role of Forrest Gump. Oh, come on. That would have been great. Great. Oh, can you imagine how brutal? Life is like a box of chocolate. It's like weird or something. Can you imagine that? I'm going to be awful. It's like stupid is a stupid dog. Number 18, Jennifer Jason Leigh. Turn down the role. Of Wendy in The Shining. Of Damone. Yes. She was going to be Damone. She was supposed to be Damone. Fast touch. This is really great iced tea. Hey, Ratner. Yeah, Earth, Wind, and Fire. Oh, yeah. Is that your brother? He's a great looking kid. Oh, I love it. No. She turned down the role of Vivian in Pretty Woman. Wait, what? The Julia Roberts role. Oh, no way. Yeah, Vivian. Wow.
That was a stupid crime. Uh, yeah. Julia Roberts turned down what, Ash? A movie. You're the worst at this. She doesn't know how to play, Sky. It's your girl. Tell her. I mean, Julia Roberts is on the list. Do I jump to that and tell her or does she actually have to guess the movie? She turned down the role of Seabiscuit. So messed up. She's a gorgeous woman. She is gorgeous. So her teeth are long. Okay? There's nothing wrong with having large, shiny teeth. Okay. All right, Ashley. Julia Roberts. Okay, we got a couple here for her. Sharon Stone's part in Basic Instinct was turned down. Thumper and Bambi. Mr. Ed. The Plant in Little Shop of Horrors. Mary Corleone in Godfather 3. Mary Corleone? Who did that? Who turned that down? We're still talking about Julia Roberts.
She turned that down? How could you turn down a role in Godfather? Well, but she's supposed to be Italian. She could pull it off. Really? She also turned down the role of Annie in Sleepless in Seattle, the Meg Ryan part. Animal in Muppets Take Manhattan. She turned down John Belushi's part in Animal House. Donkey in Shrek. She also turned down Lucy in While You Were Sleeping, which is the Sandra Bullock role. Don't know it. She also turned down the Black Stallion. Alright, we get it. Look who's so funny. I'm asking. He's asking if she did. I'm asking. What movie? Kirsten Dunst. That's not the game. All actors have turned down roles. Every actor has turned down a role. Then I win. Point me. Number 17 is Tom Cruise. Who turned down... I bet he turned everything down. The part in the station agent.
Seven people got that, but they're dying right now. They're dying right now. They're dying right now. Because that was a midget, Eddie. It was Peter Dinklage. He's a little person that played that role in The Station Agent. Thanks, man. He also turned down a role in Mini Kiss, I heard. So Tom Cruise. The little kid in Sixth Sense. He was going to play that role. Really? Okay. Okay. Jonathan Lipnicki's part. They switched roles. And Jerry Maguire. Tom Cruise turned down Donnie Brasco. And also... Isn't that Donnie Brasco? And also Footloose. The lead role in Footloose. Can you imagine? I wish he turned down the interview with the vampire part. So that would have been like normal. Yeah, that's a whole other list of roles they should have. Okay, number 16, we've talked about here on the show before, Mark Wahlberg, Ocean's Eleven. Turned down a part in that. Matt Damon's part. Hey, Matt Damon. Hey, Matt Damon. Hey, Matt Damon. Hey, Matt Damon. I turned down you, Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. All right, number 15 is Leonardo DiCaprio. Turned down the role. Dirk.
Diggler in Boogie Nights. He only turned down that role. Mackie Mack? Dude. He would have been great. He would have been great. In fact, Mark Wahlberg was kind of a strange choice for that role. He was great. He was phenomenal. But kind of a strange choice for that role. Because that role should have been a little bit the person should have been a little bit skinnier and more kind of young and kiddish. Wahlberg was almost too tough to play that role. Leo also turned down the lead role in The Matrix. I wish he'd have done that. I wish he'd have done The Matrix instead of Keanu Reeves. I wish Keanu Reeves turned everything down and never actually made it into movies. He's a really great actor. Oh, Sean.
Oh, yeah, you loved him in Dracula. The worst miscast of all time. Keanu Reeves. Whoa. Talk to dude. What's up, doctor dude? The worst. That was... Is Gary Oldman on the list turning down anything? He should have turned down... He should be offered every role. Oh, wow. So number 14, we already went over Julia Roberts. Number 13, Will Smith. Will Smith turned down the role. Powder. That would have been an interesting role for him. He turned down Meg Ryan's role in You've Got Mail. Oh, really? Yeah. He'd be good in that. Yeah. So he turned down the role of Stu in the movie Phone Booth. Done. And then also, he also turned down the lead role in The Matrix before it went to Keanu Reeves. Oh, really? Will Smith. Yeah, it was offered to him as well. Wow.
Number 12, Denzel Washington. That movie would have been better with either one of those guys. Not really anyone. Yes. Matrix is great, but that dude is terrible. Sean, please be quiet. Terrible. I beg you. I beg you. Okay, number 12 is Denzel Washington. Augustus Galoop. Yeah, he turned down that role. He turned down the role of Willy Wonka. Okay. Truman Capote. He turned down some big ones. He turned down the role of Curtis in the movie Dreamgirls. The Eddie Murphy role. Why, Mike? Why do you think that? Why do you think it's Eddie Murphy's role? He also turned down the lead in iRobot, which eventually went to Will Smith. And it's also rumored that he turned down the role of Ray in Ray Charles. Ray Charles in Ray. You know what I mean. Those are biggies. Okay, number 11, Madonna. She was able to turn something down? Yeah, I know. She should take anything. The part of Hooch in Turner and Hooch. I don't know. Michelle Pfeiffer's role in The Fabulous Baker Boys. Number 10, Richard Grieco.
Richard Grieco? No, the name. Don't know who he is. He turned down. This role was originally offered for him, but he turned it down because he thought the script was horrible. The lead role in Speed, which eventually went to Keanu Reeves. That was a bad move. He could have actually had maybe a career today. Number nine. Keanu lover. Number nine, Sarah Michelle Gellar. She turned it down. Something about Mary. Bunny Rabbit in 8 Mile. Who is it again? Sarah Michelle Gellar. Buffy the Vampire Slayer girl. Oh yeah, I bet she did. I bet she turned down some big role that like Reese Witherspoon had. You're very close. We're in the right genre. Oh, Clueless. Yes, Mike. She turned down the role of Cher in Clueless. She blew it. Melanie Griffin.
Who? Melanie Griffith. Oh, yeah. That was Mike imitating me, by the way. It was like there were two of you in the room. Yeah, I was like, what's this guy yelling at? Whatever. What is she talking about in her normal voice? Who are we doing? Oh, Rudy. Aaron Brockley. Yeah, Aaron Brockovich. Chunk in Goonies. This is a big chick flick. Big chick flick. Oh, Apocalypse Now. Turn down the roller. Yes. Good fellas. Turn down little Tommy's part. Little Tommy, by the way. Tommy. Spider. Thelma from Thelma and Louise.
Seven, Warren Beatty. Frankenstein. Yeah. Anything Clark gave it to me. Something old. Okay, so he turned down the role of... Dracula that was taken by Bela Lugosi. The body in The Big Chill. He turned down Jack Horner in Boogie Nights. Wait, wait, wait. Wow. Oh, that's the old guy. Was it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Turned down the lead role in Misery. Turned down the role of Gordon Gekko from Wall Street. Michael Douglas. And also turned down Robert Redford's role in The Sting. Wow. Number six, Gillian Anderson. No one's going to care. The role of Bethany Sloan in Dogma. Whatever.
Okay, Shawnee, oh boy. Number five, Keanu Reeves. Yes! Yeah. Obviously not much from the list we've gone through and all the roles after they get turned down go to him. But there was one that he turned down and that was Charlie Sheen's role in Platoon. Oh, he would have been great. Oh, he'd have been awful. I wish Charlie Sheen had turned it down too. But he got like an Oscar for it, I think. Wasn't he nominated? He might have been nominated. It won Best Picture. Sigourney Weaver, number four. She was supposed to be in Apocalypse Now and play Colonel Kilgore. She would have been great. Island of Dr. Moreau. Chewbacca. Chewbacca. She's real tall. It was actually... Shaq in Blue Chips. She turned down the role of Ada in The Accused.
Wow, that did not... That's not funny. That's not funny. Well, no, that's the actual answer. I wasn't making a joke. That's the actual answer. Thanks for bringing it around. You're disgusting. Sky, what a tasteless joke. Well, I guess I'm disgusting. You're the worst. Tasteless. Number three, Alec Baldwin. He's been in everything. Yeah. I don't know. We've got to wrap it up. I'm getting bored. Okay, Richard Kimball in the... The Fugitive. Number two, Mel Gibson. He turned down the lead role in The Gladiator. He also turned down the Robin Hood part in Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. Smart. I'm trying to think of Mel Gibson doing that Gladiator role. Oh, yeah, he could do it. And then finally, number one, Molly Ringwald. She turned down the role of Vivian in Pretty Woman, the Julia Roberts role. Molly Ringwald? Is she nuts? Idiot. She also turned down the role that eventually went to Leah Thompson in Some Kind of Wonderful. Oh, well, good. And then she also finally turned down the role of Molly in Ghost, which is the Demi Moore. She's nuts. Molly Ringwald. She is nuts. And now where is she? It's like, what was that about? She just did some, like, made-for-TV movie. Yeah, she has, like, a sitcom or something. And that is your list. Thank you. Thank you, Eddie. Thank you. I searched real hard for it. Let's see.
Our phone number is 570-1053. Our text is 35253. Eddie says that he hates when the Olympic sports are judged by judges to determine the winner. Let's talk about this. Who should be? I don't like sports that are judged. Instead of like you determining the outcome of the... It's somebody's opinion. And it's biased. They're biased opinions. I agree. Like, oh yeah, my brother didn't... like Florida, so I'm not voting for the United States. I agree. Dude, I was watching that goofy synchronized diving last night and the Chinese were the heavy favorites and they were diving like junk and they were getting better scores and people were doing perfect dives and it was because they were the favorites. I don't get it. Did you say synchronized? Yeah, synchronized diving. They have to do it at the same time. They jump off at the same time. It's kind of goofy.
And they were not very well-timed. I just don't like judging things. You just don't like it. It's not fair. Like a race, you know who wins. There's no judge. You play a football game, whoever has the most points wins. I feel you, but there's certain sports that can't be done that way. I don't like that. Are you stupid? Gymnastics are dumb. My opinion is you did a good routine, so you win. What? Thanks, guy. Get out of here. Go do a pageant if you want that. I want to know what his solution is. Draw straws. For diving, whoever hits the water first. I like this. Make it a race. You have to race up the ladder and jump off. Well, and so it would be like all overweight people up there trying to see. Even better. Sky, now you're talking. Now I've got a chance. I mean, gravity. Kirstie Alley goes against like whatever. Whatever. Rosie. Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell. Stupid. Did you know that if you slowed down just a little, you'd get better mileage? It's true. Apparently high-end homes.
In San Diego County are now part of the foreclosure problem as well. Oh. Yeah. So if you got a mill or so to drop. I heard. Oh, no. My fiance works in real estate. Yeah. And I forget who she heard from, but someone that she was working with heard about a house that was, you know, doing a showing. It was a $21 million home. Oh, that's one. Yeah. That's mine. No, no, no. Go ahead. I've been to your place. It's lovely. No, this is the one they wrote about. Helicopter rides and all. That's my pool house. Yes, that's where my house boy stays. The serving quarters. That's not what I meant. And it was cut to 11 million. What? 21 to 11? Yeah. Oh, I still can't afford it. Yeah. It's in the hills of La Jolla. And I guess back in the real estate boom, it was like this older home. And it's, you know, in the hill. And you see the ocean and all of La Jolla or whatever. It's an older house? Well. Back in the day in the real estate boom, it was an older home. Yeah. So these developers bought it for like $1.8 million at the time. Yeah. You know, got that house out of there and then built this huge monstrosity, this 9,000 square foot property that's like upgraded to the hill with the views and you see everything and just gorgeous, right? Really? So they put it on the market January of 07 for $21.5 million.
Nothing, nothing. Finally, they started to get behind on their payments, went into foreclosure, and now the lender put it on the market for $12.9 million. So from 21.5 to 12.9. Hey, listen. Most of us listening right now, we don't have 12 mil to spend on a house, but the person that does just made a killing. Yeah, because in two, three years from now, when this market changes back... It'll be worth $99 billion. That is a fact. So they say right now there's over... Yes, in my couch. How mad would Sky be that George Bush actually bought that house and that's where he's going to retire? Please stop. So, yeah, they say right now in San Diego County, there's more than 130 homes that are priced over a million dollars or that were originally priced over a million dollars that have been foreclosed on just this year, over 130. Only Toledo. It's a good time to buy a house. My boyfriend's mom just... Oh, my gosh, mom. My boyfriend, whom it's listening, I love you.
I love you so much. I like to sing a musical. I love you so much. That bike you got me is ridiculous. Anyway. Eddie. She just came down for his birthday this past weekend and bought a house. His mom? Yeah. Dropped. How much? How much he? Over a mil? No, but. Almost a mil? Let's just say. 780 mil. Wait. No, but let's just say she dropped, I guess. Like it's hot. Yes. It was a house in North Park, and I guess she got it for like half a mil. Really? And it was like an insane, insane deal. Now's the time. But she literally flew down and was like, I got to do this. You know what I mean? When we were buying a house, two years ago, when did we buy a house, honey?
Three years ago. It was hard to buy a house. Yep. It was expensive. Waiting lists and expensive. Expensive. Yep. Multiple offers. And now, it's like you're buying a dog house. Take your choice, man. Giving them away. It's crazy. It'll change, though. Yep. Come on. Hang in there, San Diego. Keep saying that. It's going to turn around, everyone. Well, they say it has to. Please, Mike. It has to. Make it turn around, Mike. It can't not. It has to. Please. Mike. Yes. I've got all the YouTube clip of the day videos on the website. Sweet. Yeah. So you can go there, use the keyword YouTube. Okay. You want Isaac Newton. Mikey, Tom Selleck turned down the role of Indiana Jones. That's the best one I think ever. Mikey, love the show. Just tell Sky. It's an objects thing. Eddie, thank you for not turning down your role in Renegade. Oh, well, yeah. We had a long conversation with my agent, but we felt I was right for the role. The low was like, Eddie, I can't do this part about you. It was tough, but yeah, I think I made the right choice. Eddie, are you going to make an apology to the air pistol people on the air publicly? I'm really offended.
The air pistol community by my remarks this morning. You're going to apologize? No, listen. A guy wrote Eddie and he was really upset because Eddie was making fun of air pistols in the Olympics, which, come on. I don't have any problem with air pistol shooting. I have a problem with that being an Olympic sport. There's a big difference. And this guy is really upset with me. He's no longer a fan of mine. And I understand where he's coming from. An air pistol. Everybody's pissed, right? An air pistol is a BB gun, am I right? Or a pellet gun? Who cares? It's an air thing. It's a toy. It's a child's toy. Don't say it's childish. That's what he got mad about. Don't say that. He represented our country, bro. Hang on a second. I think that Eddie... has a good point when he says, you know, 99.9% of the listening audience does not competitively do air pistols. That's true. That's a true statement. I don't know. No, no, no. It's an even bigger stat than that. If you took all of our listeners, and I'm being honest with you, if you took all of our listeners, it's quite possible that the guy that complained to Eddie is the only person that is into air pistols. He's got to have a friend or two.
They might not listen. Maybe they don't listen. But here's the deal. Even if that's the case, I would have thought that he, even as an air pistol aficionado, would have seen the humor. I just recognize I'm just messing around. He's messing around. He compared me to Don Imus. What Don Imus said was racist. You don't understand the correlation, Mike? Air pistol shooting and racism? It's the same thing. No, those are different. It's all equally offensive, and for that I apologize. I don't know what else to do. They're very different. It's very big of you, Eddie. Anyway. Yeah, so to all the 10-year-olds, we're sorry. Sean, you're making it worse. I'm joking, not Eddie. Making it way worse. I don't want to make the air pistol community more mad. Right. You don't want to get hit with the soft pellet now, right? Well, it would sting. Poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, poo, poo. That's actual audio of an air pistol being shot here in the studio. Rob, you're a gold medalist. That's it, that's it. 45. Pull. So dumb. He's upset now. I'm not making any jokes about air hockey. I'm not going to make any jokes about darts. Hula hoop. Laser tag. Hula hoop. Battleship. Skip it. Uno. Oh my.
Go Fish. Hungry Hungry Hippos. Operation. Candy Land. Chutes and Ladder. Rock'em Sock'em Robots. Red Rover. Red Rover. These are all competitive Olympic sports. They should be if they're not. Just don't judge them. That's right. Well, you've done it. Really sweet. Padres had the day off yesterday. Start a series with Milwaukee today. Here's the deal, Mike. I didn't know they were still playing. I think we've accepted our role of spoiler. And we're welcoming the Brewers to town who are in the race. And then the Phillies this weekend who are in the race. And if we can kind of ruin their lives, then I think that's acceptable. So that's the point of the Padres now, just to ruin other people's series. What are you going to do? When's it over? Like, can it just end? No way, dude. We got a long way, I think. Another month and a half. Yeah. Those rays. Yeah. Those rays. I don't want to do it. What's going on? Yeah, what's going on over there? A-L-East. A-L-East. A-L-East. How's it looking? What's happening over there? I have no, honestly, I don't know. The socks are... The socks are... Hey, hey. We are limping. We are limping right now. I'll be a fan with you. I'll be a fan with you. Honestly. Okay. I mean it.
Hey, I've never said anything bad. Honestly, though, have you seen what Manny's doing in L.A.? Pull the tape. Pull the hours of tape. Is he killing it? Have you seen Manny? I was, for like a week, I was really following him and, you know, in the paper, reading his percentages. And when he was batting over 625, I was like, I don't... His batting average and his on base. Because they were doing this whole thing with him on the Red Sox and then him on the Dodgers. Let's forget about Manny. Yeah, I have. Let's talk about the AL East. Oh, dude. The Rays are the real deal. They're holding up. They're dominating. So you're in second place? Yeah, four games back. But the Yankees are nine games back. So they're five behind us. The scary thing is people keep getting hurt. Who? Wakefield just went down. He's 107 years old. Yeah, but he still throws a mean knuckler, dude. He's still real good? Oh, yeah. Yeah, dude. And our pitching staff can use any help that it needs. So we're pulling up this guy, Charlie Zink. Charlie. But it's scary. Michael Owl's got a bad hip, which I'm like, how old is this guy? David Ortiz. I thought she was going.
You got to press the life alert button. You guys can look at the TV anytime. Don't try to ignore me. Don't try to ignore me when I pause things. Like I'll pause the dog wiping his butt on the carpet. He's the worst. By ignoring me, you're not going to stop me. Yes, Meredith Vieira is in China and she has crazy stupid glasses on. Thank you. You've been acknowledged. All I needed was for you to go. So, Austin Rob, I feel bad for you, buddy. But don't worry. You'll catch up. It's only four games. No. I'm not worried about catching up. What I'd rather do is win the wild card. Which we're in the lead right now. We just took two from the White Sox. We win the wild card. We play the White Sox in the first round. You want nothing to do with the Angels? The Angels are the scariest team in baseball. Are the Angels the best team in baseball? The Cubs could be the best team in baseball, but the Angels are right there. They are dominant, dude. They just swept the Yankees. They swept us. It's scary. Thank God that all those Angels fans are listening. They suck in the playoffs. Rob, no matter what, you know that they're going to meet up again. No matter what. You know the Angels and the Red Sox are going to meet up again. Probably in Anaheim. I'm hoping. I'm hoping.
In Anaheim, we swept them last year in the playoffs. I was there. No, what about this year? Take that. What about this year? I don't know. See, we're a hurt unit. We need all the injuries to, you know, we need to heal up. You need Manny back. Shut up. Fizzy Bay is doing fine. You're going to make me upset. I don't want to do that. Too late. Oh, no. Nobody wants that. A lot of baseball to be played. Yes. Enough said. Okay. When can I catch more football on TV? I think it's on Thursday. Yeah. On Saturday. Yeah. There's pre-seasons all over the place. Ashley, does your boyfriend watch football? No. Good. Who's his team? Chargers. Really? Is he from here? Salt Lake. No, Salt Lake. But he's a Chargers fan? Yeah. That's good. From what I know, because we met, like literally we went on our blind date the night of the Patriots playoff game, like one of the beginning playoff games. And I remember the next day he was texting me, go Chargers. And that was like, and then football season ended. So I haven't really talked about it with him since. I met him at the Super Bowl. Yeah.
For the first time. Yeah. So, as far as I know... Poor Ashley dragged him out of the Super Bowl before it was even over. In the middle of the Super Bowl. In the middle of it. One of the most exciting Super Bowls ever. Let me tell you, he liked her so much, he was like, all right, let's go. I know. I know. And they left. You know why they left? It was the beginning. You know why they left? So she could go take care of her dog. Like, play with the dog. Like, the dog wouldn't be okay to be played with. Because I just... I got Sammy two days before I met my boyfriend. So, she was still... Like a baby. Like I still was training her. Like she wasn't quite adjusted. So it was tricky and she'd been in that crate for like four hours. Ashley. Michael. You're in a boat. Oh no. Don't do it Mike. This ain't cool. The only people in the boat are you and your boyfriend Mark and Sammy. I like where this is going.
And you cannot... That's my life. You just told me my life. You cannot get off the boat. Not an option. You must stay on the boat. But Mark or Sammy has to go. Well, it's going to be Sammy. Done and done. Wow. You are a terrible... Look at Skye. That poor dog. Oh, look at Skye. Mark is my soulmate. You will choose an animal over a pestle. If I had to pick, I would pick my soulmate over my child, my dog. Why are you offended by that? Is anyone listening? She's a terrible person. Yeah. She's a terrible person. That poor dog. That poor dog. You would choose Tango over Mr. Sky? Well, it depends. What if it's both of them? What if it's both? What if it's Tango and Logan and they're a group? It depends? Well, the boo can swim. The cats can't. You know?
Oh, see, I didn't know that that was the question. Yeah, but you already killed Sammy. You already killed Sammy. Well, we don't know if one of them is going to die. They just got to swim for it. By the way, Sammy's dog, there's a poll up about Sammy, about Ashley's dog, Sammy. Yeah, it's been up. I thought I announced it. And there's a picture, there's a picture of Sammy and it says, do you think Ashley's dog, Sammy, is cute? Yes, no, or is that a dog? Those are the options. Yes, no, or is that a dog? Such a sweet picture. All right, so vote, Skye, and then read us the results. Oh, what is it wearing? Okay, so we have 22.75% of people thinking that, yes, Sammy is cute. About 36% of people say, no, not so much.
And then 41% say, is that a dog? They don't know if it's a dog. By the way, Ashley, let me tell you something. I saw the picture. Ashley basically took, she found the best possible picture she could find of Sam. I have cute ones. That load of a dog. She should put up, Eddie, she should put up. Like, pictures that we've seen of that dog. Do you want me to send Sean the scary one over? You did. Yeah, because that picture right there, that picture of Sammy that you put up there, it's at MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. That picture doesn't really show, like, her teeth. Photoshopped its fangs. Oh, there's Sammy now. Well, sometimes Sammy isn't very photogenic. Oh, Skye. That's not her fault. That's not her fault that someone's shooting from a bad angle. When you have an owner, they'll throw you out of the boat all wheeling in. See you later, Sammy. And drown. So, Skye, if you had Tango and Logan on a boat with your husband. I'm not playing your game. You have to pull up. Meredith Sierra with some crazy glasses on, Mike. Eddie, she has to think about it? She doesn't have to think about it. She's doing a bit. How must the boo be feeling right now?
Oh, he's hurting. You think this is a surprise to him? No, come on, Sky. There's no thinking about it, and you know it. Well, what's the scenario? Are we on a lake? Are we out in the middle of the ocean? Yeah, you're on a lake. All right, I'll paint the scenario. I'll paint the scenario. I'll paint the scenario. I'll paint the scenario. Okay. Oh, man. Here's the scenario. The scenario is you are on the ocean. It's choppy. You can see land, but it's 50-50. You can see land. Yeah, you can see land, but getting to it is like, I don't know. So you're not talking a creek here. What time of day is it? It's about 6 o'clock at night, so you've got about an hour left. Okay, and why do I have to get something else? Because they said, they.com said. It's sinking? Yeah, and if you get enough weight out of it, then you'll be alright. But if you choose...
to keep your husband then both tango and logan have to go here's the solution and there's no way that they can swim both the boo and myself we get out of the boat you can't i said he said you can't get out you can't get out okay then the boo gets out and he holds on to the side and he kicks and gets us into land well you get the spirit of the you get the spirit of the question somebody's got to go there's no hold on somebody's got to go why can't he hold on you're gonna pull the boat down He's pushing it. Okay, he'll be behind it, swimming and pushing it. He'll do like a breaststroke, like a thing with his legs. What the hell? And there's a shark in the water. There's always sharks in the water. All right, Skye. All right, Skye. Me and your cats and you. Oh, please. You're done. You are done. What? It's a human being and your friend. What's up? She's about to think about it. I'm done. Awful. Dude, with the boo, she had to think about it. And she still chose to kick the boo out. How do you think I'm going to fare? Well, good luck, boo. Maybe I'll see you. We hope so. Fingers crossed.
Ideal scenario, we'd both get out of the boat and swim. I have my stupid cats here, though. Swim alongside the boat and bring the boat in. Oh, yeah, for sure. In real life, me and Mark would alternate and Sammy would stay in the boat. By the way, if you want to see a larger picture, if you want to see a larger picture of Ashley's dog, MikeyShow.com. It's keyword ugly. Just type in. It is. It's a keyword. Oh, is it a new one? Yeah, yeah, yeah. If you want to see a bigger picture, just go to the keyword section and type in the keyword ugly. No, that's not. See, that's just a normal picture. You got to send Sean. Well, she sent me one, but it's like, it's way out of focus. It's the only bad one I have. That's not true. Send any other one. Send any other one. Any other one. I'm going to look on her blog, because there was one on her blog. They're disgusting. They're horrific. The picture's ever done. It was tragic.
If we're being honest. That dog. Sometimes I'll look at pictures of her dog and I don't know if it's like dinner last night. Is that meatloaf or your dog? You're so mean. Is that beef stroganoff or is that your dog? Dude. Okay. Please. 35253 is our text. 5701053 is our phone number. Mikey Show. Hello. Good morning, Sandy. Oh. It's K1 Sanjaya. We're on here to check out Sammy, and he has a face only a mother can love. It's true. That is true. It's so bad you thought it was a he. Turns out Sammy's a girl. He's got a face like a baby seal. It's so cute. A club baby seal? Yeah. That is not a baby seal I'm looking at. He needs to get rescued. It's terrible. He needs to be clubbed.
Rescue it from the ugly train. That's right. The ugly train. Mikey show. Mikey? Yes. I had a multiple choice question I wanted to ask Ashley. Okay. I was just wondering, after she's done eating her cookies, is it A, a roll of toilet paper, B, a diaper, eat baby wipes? I don't understand. Do you guys get it? No. Eddie, do you get it? Yeah. What does it mean? He's saying that after you eat her cookies, bad things happen. And the turtlet. And he's asking. Oh, man. I didn't even get that. The jokes are always funniest when you have to explain. They are. It's a swing and miss. I mean. Yeah. So he struck out. It's no big deal. It's no big deal. He could try again tomorrow with another joke. Totally. And it might be better. Well, it might work. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey. What's up? Hey, what's going on? I just wanted to know what kind of food does Sean eat when he comes down there? Sean is... Does he bring his own food or anything? No, no, no. Sean is good with... In fact, he's way more adventurous than any of us. You know, he eats Ethiopian food, which is, you know, dirt.
It's a big clod. It's a clod. That's all they have there in Ethiopia. Otherwise, hello. But it's like a clod of dirt, right, Sean? Dirt and flies. Yeah. What are you talking about? It's the most ridiculous thing. Who would want to eat that? Yes, he does. Sean hates our listeners. He has to get on a plane later. He doesn't care for that. Sean? Fly's the absolute worst airline for somebody that doesn't like to be near people. Right? I hate it. Southwest. Oh, no. Where you're basically herded in like cattle. I have a question, Sean. Why don't you fly first class? I mean, I know it's way crazy expensive. Actually, I have a question for the community. Why don't you all fly first class? Sean, why don't you drive your own private jet? Yes. Sean, why don't you drive a Rolls Royce? I'm just saying. Sean, why don't you wipe with hundreds? If I hated people as much as Sean did.
And I knew I had to fly. I would save up the money to fly first class, so I didn't have to. How am I going to save up 10 grand? It costs 10 grand to fly to San Diego first class. Well, I don't know how much it costs to fly to San Diego, but I don't know. It's really expensive. It is expensive. Thousands of dollars. Oh, no, it's not thousands of dollars. Isn't it? It absolutely is. I think it is. Well, didn't on our flight from Denver. Hey, Zeth. Check it out. Find out. Well, on our flight from Denver here. First class San Jose to San Diego round trip. It was what? Like a $200 upgrade charge? Was it? I don't know. Where? Where? I thought that from Denver here. No, if it had been, I would have done it. They weren't, it was sold out. They were sold out on that flight. But I thought you were the one who told me it was a... $200 charge. Oh, no. I said I was willing to spend. Oh, that's right. You said you had $200 left. Yeah. I had $200 that I had like as a budget there and I didn't spend it. Yeah. And so if I said, if that thing is 200 bucks to get, I'll get it. But they were sold out. But it's usually if you buy it on your own, it's like thousands. Oh, that's expensive. Oh, why don't you just. I just thought maybe it was like.
double the price, maybe triple the price of a regular plankton? I don't know. I don't fly first. I've got thousands in my bra. I don't even care. Do you take gold bullion? Yes. I'm just saying. Do you accept cougar hands on this airline? You know, the British pound is killing the dollar. It's like on the dollar. What about the yen? Take this red money. I don't even know what it is. But it freaks me out. P1 Giants fan. How you doing, Mikey? What's up? Not much. I just wanted to give Ashley a compliment. It takes a pretty strong person to rescue a dog that's been obviously that severely beaten. Oh, wow. I'm sorry, Ashley. Wow. You don't know that she was beaten. She definitely was socially attacked. He's just making an observation. He's just making an observation. Oh, my gosh. I love her. Mikey Show. Hi. This is personality.
This is what? Seth's personality. Wow. Wow. What is going on? I wanted to say have a great day, guys. Thank you. Thank you very much. Seth's personality calling. That was a boring call. Seth has the goofiest smile on his face. Mikey Show. Hello. Mikey Show. Hi, Mikey. Can I tell you a joke? Yes. What do you get when you cross a brown chicken and a brown cow? Ashley's dog. Brown chicken, brown cow. You get it? You get it? You get it? Come on. Very cute. That's a good joke. Brown chicken, brown cow. Mikey show. Ashley's going to be telling that one. Are you kidding? She's going to tell it before the show's over. She'll screw it up. Ashley, tell that joke back. Tell that joke back, Ash.
You can't do it. What do you get when you combine... It's already over. Hold on. What do you get when a brown cow and a brown chicken mate... Oh, no. Forget it. Forget it. Good night. Yes. Look at keyword ugly now. Okay, let me see. Let me see. Let's see. Go to MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. And then type in keyword... Oh! There you go. That's Sammy. That's Sammy. Yeah, Eddie. You fed it after midnight. Holy. Ugliest. Do the black eyed peas know you have Fergie? What? What? You're such a jerk. You're such a jerk. What? That poor dog will never mate. That will never mate. Oh my gosh.
Wow. Like male dogs looking for dogs in heat would be like, I'm good. It's all right. I love it. Ew. That is a horror show right there. It really is. Zeth has the cost of first class. Okay. This is the price that Sky would be willing to pay. No, I didn't say that. This is the cost that Sky says, Sean. Why don't you just get... Why don't you just pay the $1,409 price to go past that? And that's from San Jose to San Diego? San Jose, San Diego. What airline? U.S. Airways. There's no first class on Southwest. Well, no, I know, but... Can you imagine? Just sit in the cockpit. Yes. Ask the pilot.
How long do you like Gladiator movies? Yes. That's why you have to have your own private Palat. Palat? That's right. Palat? You have your own private Palat. He'll fly you anywhere you'd like to go. I don't catch what you're saying. Well, you call the airline and you tell them you don't want a reservation. You just want your own pilot to come and fly. Is that a type of vehicle? That's a person who flies the plane. He's trying to say pilot. Pilots? And so he'll take you wherever you need to go. You got to screw loose. Thank you. We've done it all. We've hit everything. Every last topic. Except Eddie. Let's do it. Let's do it. It's too late. Let's do it. You know? No. Come on, let's do it. No, I want to. We got new releases. No. There's a couple of new CDs out today that sound really good. Yeah, we'll make it snappy for you. Okay, new video games out today. We have Madden NFL 09 for Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PS3. Someone get it for me. Blah, blah, blah. I want it. And then it's interesting because they have a different listing for... My wife is so cool. She said I could get it today. Oh, really? Yeah. They have something called Madden NFL 09. She's shaking her head now. Oh.
They have something called Madden NFL 09 All Play for the Wii. So I don't know how that's different than the regular one, but whatever. Also, for video game today, we have Bionic Commando Rearmed for the Xbox 360 and PS3. We have Fable 2 Pub Games for the Xbox 360. Yeah, I'm in on that. Like that. Is it really? I bet it is. I bet it's like shuffleboard and darts and stuff like that. Look at a real dartboard at my house. See, he's all upset. I'm sorry, I do. He's all upset. He hates... My apologies. Sky. Yes. So what games... Does it say like what game system? Xbox 360. That sounds fun. Fable 2 PUBG. Darts on a video game, dude, that can't be fun. Could be great fun. Absolutely not. Come over to my house. Dude, what do you play on video game? Baseball. Then why don't you go play baseball? I do, but I can't. Hey, shut your mouth. You're unbelievable. You need nine people. I'm a one-man team. Unbelievable. I'm a one-man team. When I hit the ball to myself and run onto the outfield and go catch it, I don't think so. You got it. So that's the exception, kids. All right.
Also out today, Line Rider 2, Unbound for the Wii. And Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, Episode 1, Homestar Ruiner for the Wii. Sounds really fun. I don't want to Wii that. Okay, new music out today. Oh, hold on to your seat, Ash. We have the Jonas Brothers with their album A Little Bit Longer. Oh, look at her. She is dancing her heart. Is that a dance? Is she dancing? I don't know. What is she doing? Uh-oh. Ashley's having a stroke, you guys. Uh-oh. Wow. That was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. All right. What's weirder to look at? Her dancing or Sammy? Dance was as ugly as the dog. Okay. Also out today, we have songs for Tibet, The Art of Peace. Songs for Tibet.
Yeah, it's a compilation album. Sting, Alanis Morissette, John Mayer, Moe Billy, Dave Matthews, Garbage Rush. Oh, is that why the Dave Matthews thing is here? Ben Harper. It's him and Tim Reynolds. Yeah, Tim Reynolds is his boy who, like, occasionally they'll just tour together, just the two of them. Not the Dave Matthews band, but just Dave and Tim, and Tim will, like, play guitar. You know, the ironic thing about after hearing that song, like, I want to commit violence. That's not true. That is a weird thing. That is not true. You're just saying that to me. That means that Dave Matthews is a hate monger. Shush. Also out today, we have new kids on the block with their greatest hits. He's doing a hanging tough dance. Sky, which one did you stalk? Joey. Joey? See, Rob was a Jordan guy. Really? Still got the poster. You're not supposed to really admit it. It was like a joke.
Is he Mark's older brother, younger brother? One of the brothers. Donnie Wahlberg's the man. He just narrated this thing on an un-gay way. Yeah. Of course. Great buns. And then finally in the music today, we have a new album from Extreme called Sonde de Rock. Play this on the new Guitar Zero. Audio slave called. You think that sounded like audio? Well, okay, I get what she's saying. A very, very weak. It's because they're trying to do that whole kind of funk kind of deal. A synthetic attempt. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I get it. Okay, new DVDs out today. We have smart people with Sarah Jessica Parker, Dennis Quaid, Thomas A. Church, Ellen Page. Never heard of it. Anyone? Okay.

Oh, it wasn't Indian. No. You're close with the joke. You're close, but it wasn't Indian. You have to listen very closely. Ethiopian accent next time. Yeah. Work on that accent and call us back. You know your role. Yeah, all year long. He gets upset. And yet the Red Sox might just miss the playoffs if the Yankees get hot. They still have A-Rod, you know. Not sure if you're aware of that. Listen, listen. You're an NL fan. Why are you busting my chops over here? If anything, we'll see you in October. How about that? Well, the Phillies will probably be seeing the Angels.
