in the membrane. Usain Bolt breaks the world record again and wins the gold in the 200 meters. I taped it. It was awesome. That dude is crazy. He's just crazy. He's a freak of nature. Did he at least run the whole way through instead of showboating? He did. I'm really hoping that nothing comes out about this guy as far as using any kind of performance to Hanson because what he's doing is so cool and it was awesome. I was thinking that same thing last night. And I'm like, please don't let anything weird happen. Well, because he's so far ahead of the pack, it's almost like superhuman what he's doing. And he's super tall, right? Yeah, he's giant. Yeah. And it was pretty funny because Michael Johnson from a few years ago, he broke the record in Atlanta. And he was, I guess, on the air saying, this guy's not going to break my record. This guy's not going to break my record. Oh, no. How funny. And whoopsie. Probably shouldn't have said that, dude. Wow. I wonder what the exhilaration feeling must be like for somebody like that. That's able to do that. Well, he's like, I like this guy because he doesn't care.
Oh, he's such a clown. He's a clown, dude. Really? He dances and he acts like a joker the entire time. I think I just showed it. Is that it? Is that it? Yeah, yeah, that's the win. Oh, wow. He was way ahead of everybody else. Wow, now he lays down. Yeah, he's very dramatic. On the track and spreads his arms out. I was way off. He's a goofball. I'm proud. Let's rewind so we can see what he says. See what he says after his big victory. 100-meter races. I've written the history, pretty much, so I'm happy with myself. I'm just really proud. He's written history. There you go. He's Jamaican, right? Yeah, he's the first guy since Carl Lewis to win gold in the 100 and 200 in the same Olympics. Yeah. That's pretty impressive. Awesome! Team should sign him as a wide receiver. Yeah. That's pretty cool. It all ends on Sunday, right? I guess so.
closing ceremonies are they as dramatic as opening ceremonies well i know there's talk of like leona lewis and robert plant doing a duet together for the closing ceremonies so i don't know if it's you know it's there's definitely going to be some fanfare but i don't know if it's going to be anything like the opening ceremonies yeah i wonder if they do you know fireworks and the whole deal they probably do fireworks yeah I don't know if they're going to have 2008 drummers drumming in unison. You don't know. Well, I don't know. Yeah, I know. Wow. Sean feels real strong. I'm sorry, Sean. He feels very strong. I apologize to you. He's all about pageantry. That's right. It's true. There's one thing Sean's about. Yes. It's pageantry. Finally someone gets me. That's right. Printer is running out of toner, so it does that thing we all know where it has the big line down the paper of fade. I'm the type of personality that if it's not just perfect, it kind of makes me nuts. Oh, I feel you. Are you that way too, Skye? Oh, well, I don't know, but yeah, but the toner thing drives me crazy. It's like harder to read and then the whole like middle of the story is missing like a word all the way down the page in the middle. Yeah. Rob, do you pull the stuff off the printer? Uh-huh. You should tell someone.
I think Zed did yesterday. No? Yeah, I sent a help desk and really didn't get any answers. I wonder who you sent a help desk to about that. Well, I told Zed to talk to the programming assistant. Yeah, because I sent the help desk. They're like, yeah, that's not our responsibility. You need to order office supplies, and I know Shelly Brown was doing that before, but now she's gone. I mean, just tell, like, IT. Those guys know what they're doing. Yeah, don't they have a bunch of printer cartridges? But isn't that who the help desk goes to? Yeah. Are you kidding? And they're the ones who said, we don't do this. Dude, that's so mean. And our programming assistant, her last day was on Friday, so I don't know who is our new pro assistant. Did you contact? No, I still have to do that. I'll do that right now. Well, that's what he's supposed to do. Contact who? Shelly Brown's boss, because Shelly Brown's boss would know, because he would know who now orders office supplies, because I think that's where you get it from. We don't have toner here? I know. You would think they'd have, like, two or three backups, like, sitting there. Well, yeah. Two or three. We got, like, 50 printers in the building. Oh, no, I just mean for that one printer. Oh, yeah. Because each cartridge is different depending on the printer. They don't have, like, cartridges, like, right underneath it?
Like in a cabinet that it's on? No, that would make way... You have to walk a mile to get some paper for the printer. I wasn't... I was being totally serious. Oh, no, I know. You're cute. It should be that way, Sean. That's the way it should be. But that makes way, way too much sense. I wonder if it's like that for you at work. You know, you get to work today and you're like, you can relate unless you work for a small business. Which, as you know, Clear Channel is a startup company. Yeah, I'm on the top. How's he getting those TPS reports out? That's right. What is that, TPS? What is that? Did you put the cover page on? Office Space. I really need to brush up. These are the two big ones I need to see. Office Space and The Princess Bride. Oh, wow. Really need to see those. I really need to see those so I know my stuff. I am Mikey, and I'm the host of the show. And I'm 38, and I watched in the daytime yesterday, I watched some Olympics, you know, because on the DirecTV, it's kind of cool. They have all the Olympic channels together, and so you can just sit there and flip through and see what's going on.
And I guess some, I don't know where he's from, but I guess some boxer yesterday bit some other dude's shoulder. Did you hear about it? No. What? And so they were comparing it to when Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield's ear. And so it's nighttime there in China. And Tiki Barber is sitting on a stool next to some other reporter woman in China. And they're discussing it. And Tiki is making jokes. He thinks it's kind of funny. Yeah. And she is clearly offended by it. Oh, no. And is clearly trying to let everyone know, no, that is not funny. That is not funny. And that is not. Awesome. That is terrible. That is terrible.
And when she would say that, he would kind of straighten his face up a little bit. And he would kind of like shake his head like, yeah. And then he couldn't help himself. And they would talk a little bit more. And he would start laughing and go, that's just disgusting. My style is impetuous. My defense is impregnable. And I'm just ferocious. I want your heart. I want to eat his children. We don't have a lot in common, Mike Tyson and I, but our defenses are both impregnable. Yeah, that's true. My defense is impregnable. Well said. Who amongst us can't say that we have an impregnable defense? I will impregnate anybody's defense. Oh, no, no. Probably you shouldn't say that right. But my defense is impregnable. I understand. Well said.
Eddie's our producer, our sports guy. He is 35 years old. 35 years of age. He's married. He's a homeowner. And he is now very close to the age that his dad was when I first met. Him. Oh, boy. No, that's impossible. How dare you? Each day, each day, I've been telling you, I've been giving him the week. These are just fun facts. These are fun facts. Can we talk about how I'm young at heart? These are fun facts. Maybe that'll be tomorrow's fact. No. You don't know. You know, these are what you call perspective comments. No, I don't like them. You don't like the perspective comments? I don't like them at all. This guy is our news girl. Terrible. She is 30 years of age. Yep. She's got curly hair. Hi. That's right. Tell her she's old. She's married. She's been married now 47 years to her husband. Wow. That's a long time. Congrats. Don't you go dying on me. Please. No, next month that'll be eight years. Eight years of marriage next month. Oh, wow. Yeah, we were married in September of 2000. Eight years. Right? I was way off. Crazy is that? Yeah.
When I met you, you guys were just boyfriend and girlfriend. Yeah. How long had you been dating? Well, we dated three years before we got married. Okay. So you'd already been dating a couple of years when I met you. Yeah. I think we had been dating like a year when I met you. Oh, my goodness. Yeah. No way, Jose. Wasn't it his idea for you to like audition for the show? Oh, yeah. It was all him. Like if I wouldn't have been dating him, I wouldn't be working in radio today. Oh, my gosh. So what was the deal? He listened to your afternoon show when you had just moved from San Diego to San Jose. And he, you know, was a listener. And he said, hey, I know you need an internship to graduate college. And this radio guy is looking for an intern. And I'm like, well, the radio isn't my major. He's like, oh, just go audition. You'd be great. And he talked me into it. And that was like nine, ten years ago now. Wow. He must want to blow his brains out. Every day, Sean, every day. Yeah, Sky, have you ever, because the show makes him crazy sometimes. Oh, sometimes, please. Yeah, right? He's going to end up in the loony bin. Have you ever been in like, you know, obviously not in the middle of anything that upsets him, but like in a normal time, have you ever said, you know, how funny is it that this was all your idea?
I would say it's all your fault. It might have more impact. Only when good things happen, then he's more than willing to take the credit for starting my career. That is crazy. The minute she walked in, we had chemistry. The minute she came in and sat down, we had chemistry because we were so different. But it sounded hysterical. And I had never worked in radio before, so I didn't know what... you were supposed to do, so I just started talking to Mike like a regular person, you know? Yeah. It was so great. There it was. It was so great. Yeah. Sean is our sound effects guy. Yeah. And he's 38. Hi, Sean. And, yeah. He is in San Francisco. Mm-hmm. He broadcasts from a high-rise in San Francisco. Mm-hmm. And he does our sound effects for us. So whenever you hear those sound effects, you know, oh, that's the dude in San Francisco playing those. Ashley's our assistant producer. She is 25. 25. She's from the Bay Area, too. She grew up in the Bay Area in Walnut Creek. Yeah. That's right. I know a few people from that area. East Bay. That's right. She grew up in the East Bay, right next to Hayward. I know. One of my favorite places on Earth. Please, don't start.
My wife and I always discuss vacationing there. They have good rates right now. I bet they do. Isn't it free to say that? I think they pay you. They pay you? Oh, wow. Did I upset that community? I make fun of Hayward a lot. Just mercilessly. Mercilessly. It was great, man. Mercilessly. And I'm really upset the people that live there. Yeah, the people of Santee think they have a van. Oh, please. It's like a loving relationship with Santee and I. Is it comparable to Santee? No. A little bit. Yeah, kind of. It's just such a... I remember the first... It started because I had an appearance there. Yeah. And I was like, I didn't know that this... Place existed. This is awful. This is awful. This is awful. This is an awful place. And so then it just became a running joke. Let's see what that place is like. Oh, wow, yeah. We should send you there as a stunt. Boston Rob is our singer-songwriter, and he has written and performed a new song that we will be drafting today. It's an homage. Oh, yeah. Awesome.
to Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps. Okay, well. Sweet. And then there is Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates III, Jr., Esquire, MD, DDS. Wow. Rosie. Very accomplished. That's right. He is very accomplished. And he is 23 years old, and he is tattooed. He's always crying. He's got a lot of tattoos on his arms. Call us at 570-1053. Text us at 35253. We have breaking news. We've got some breaking news from the world of sports. We're just getting word that the chief of the NFL Players Association, Gene Upshaw, has died. As union head, Upshaw helped NFL players obtain free agency and all the money that came with it. The Hall of Famer's outstanding 15-season playing career was entirely with the Oakland Raiders. It included two Super Bowl wins and seven Pro Bowl appearances. Gene Upshaw was 63 years old. Wow. Yeah, he had pancreatic cancer, and he's been fighting it for a little while, and unfortunately passed away this morning. I wonder who will be his successor. That's a good question. If you remember or not, but there was some campaign last year.
or maybe it was even earlier this year, to try and oust him. Is that the Ditka thing? No, that was by Matt Stover, the kicker from Baltimore. He was trying to gather this group together to oust Gene Upshaw. Why? He wasn't a fan, I guess. Felt he was unfair. He was a very polarizing guy. There were some people in the NFL that really loved him. And there were some people, I guess, like Matt Stover. And I know Mike Ditka had issue with him. Because he felt like he wasn't caring for the retired players that had given their bodies to the NFL and had been beaten up and were sort of not in a good way. And he felt that Gene Upshaw should have done more to help them. And Gene Upshaw's answer was, I'm actually doing stuff for him. And to do more is inappropriate. So, yeah, he's a polarizing guy. But it'd be interesting to see who takes over. 570-1053 is the number. P1 Steve. Hey, Mikey. How you doing? Good, bro. What's up? I'm leaving for work up in the Bay Area this Sunday for two weeks. And last time I went up there was last year, and I was in Concord. Concord. Concord. Concord. Yeah, Concord. Go ahead. Yeah, I've been in San Francisco for two weeks. I don't know what is there to do when I get off work.
See if you can find some live cameras online of San Diego. Mike! That's what I would do. Here in Concord, that's where my dad lives. It's right next to Walnut Creek. Well, I think he said he's going to be in San Francisco this time. Oh. So he wants to know about San Francisco. Well, if I were in the Bay Area, I would look at a camera of what's going on. Mike, stop saying that. Live camera of what's going on in San Diego. Plenty of cool stuff going on in San Francisco. Please. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's lots of things to do in San Francisco. You can go to a protest or something. Stop it. Hey, listen, I'm sure there's a protest you could take part in up there in San Francisco. There's Pier 39. Have they changed the name of the city yet? San Fernando Liberal. Can't I go to that store here? Oh, no. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Do that. Don't go all the way to San Francisco for that point. No, that's Pier 1. They have, like, they got these beautiful bowls with potpourri. No, no, that's Pier 39. Yeah, sconce. If you need a sconce, go to Pier 39, dude. No, that's Pier 1, of course. They got all the smelly good stuff. It's beautiful. Even furniture. Rattan. Rattan. Gorgeous. Gorgeous rattan. Send me an email.
help you. You know what I mean? Okay. I think I'll just stay in my hotel room and try to avoid everybody. Oh, wow. That's a horrible idea. Don't do that. Don't do that. Get out there. Go to that Castro Street. No, Eddie, don't send it there. It's a tourist place. No, no, no. Don't go to the Castro District. Avoid the Castro District. Why? Well, you know, unless... Lots of friendly guys. Hell yeah. Everybody's so nice here. Rent cruising before you go there. No! We don't want to do that. Yeah, you know, it's a beautiful city. There's lots of beautiful things to do in that beautiful city. But, you know, I just wasn't a fan of the Bay Area. I grew up in the South Bay and was not much of a fan of it. Although, I got to tell you, I'm not the only one on the show that lived there. Eddie grew up there. Sky grew up there. Sean grew up there. Ashley grew up there. In fact, five out of the seven people on the show grew up in the Bay Area. What about Boston Rob? Boston Rob did not.
I thought I did. Well, this is a shocker. He did not. Remember old First Ave in Gilroy? You and me. You guys are from the east side of town. First Ave on your side. There you go. I'll just track down and find Sean and go say hi. There you go. That's a good idea. I'm sure you would love to hug you. Sounds good. Find a panda party or something. A panda party. Now, remember, when you greet Sean, you are to greet him as Europeans do. Each side of the cheek. I don't know about that. Party with him and most deaf. That's right. He's from 7-Eleven. I thought it was Moss Deep. Is it Moss Deep? No? Waist Deep. That was Waist Deep. Knee high. That's you, Rob. There you go. P1 Art. Hey, Mike, I have a serious question for all you guys. We call that a legitimate question. Unless it's a real question, then we call it a serious question. Well, we'll see. I know you keep on track of what's going on in the world. Like, right now, yesterday, we signed a treaty with Poland for missile defense for Poland.
He did? Well, I'm sure it is. It sounds very serious. Well, I need to read my computer. Yeah, read your computer, bro. Thank you. Thank you. Read your computer. I'm just being honest. I need to read my computer. Read your computer. Blog the web. I'll blog the web or something. Yeah. I'll get on the world space and, you know. Yep. I'll get on the. Face it up. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I'll do the KBS or the MBS or, you know, download the downloads. Okay. What? I can't say anything until I read about it. I haven't read about it yet. Yeah, Russia's not happy that, you know, we have this missile defense system that we just signed with Poland to put there and, you know, Russia, of course, already on edge with the whole thing with Georgia and they, you know, aren't big fans of us right now because we were helping out Georgia when they were fighting with them and now we got this thing with Poland and so military experts and the Russian military people were talking smack prior to this being signed, basically saying, oh, you know, there will be punishments doled out if the
The U.S. goes ahead and signs this deal with Poland. Were they planning on invading Poland? Well, there's been tension. I guess there's been tension. And so this is something that, you know, I guess the U.S. believes is good for us to have there and also good for Poland to have there. They should have the same philosophy as my wife's friend, Jamie. Let's just party and hang out. Let's watch movies and stuff. Give them Poland. Yeah. Why doesn't Poland just say, whatever, you guys. Whatever. They're like, we want you. And Poland just go, whatever, you know. Good. Take it. What do you want? Take it. We don't care. We're watching movies. We want to rent a blockbuster or something. Well, what does President Obama think? Yeah, what does he think about this? He'll change everything. Yeah, he will talk to both sides. Nice. He'll charm them. Right. In the meantime, we'll watch the VCR. Do you smell what Barack is cooking? Yes, I do. It's a deal. I'm clear. Yummy. 5701053. Text number is 35253. Sky likes what Barack's cooking. I do.
How can you not? It does smell good. I'll have seconds. It looks good and it smells good. It's like cotton candy. Oh, I love cotton candy. You put it in your mouth and it just dissolves. Oh, that's so good. There's no sustenance. But it tastes so good. It looks good. It tastes good. But there's nothing. It doesn't give you... It'll kill you eventually. It'll rot your teeth. Yeah, it'll rot your teeth. Well, if I brush my teeth, I think I'm covered. Empty calories. Yes. There's no nutrients in it. Whatever. Keep talking about food. But it is sweet tasting. Oh, yeah. Looks pretty, too. It does. Yum. Anybody else hungry? P1 Grimlock. What? Hello? Grimlock, what's up? Hey, how's it going, Mikey? What's up? I'm just calling to see if I could promote a show me and a couple P1s are doing. What are you doing? We are playing a ska show at Soma tomorrow night. Me and P1 Saxman. Uh-huh. And just wanted to let the P1s know to come out and support us. Tickets are $8. An all-ages show. What's your group called? My band is called Grimluck. P1 Saxman is in another band called Pop Punk. Oh, okay. There you go, brother. Nice. Cool. Thanks a lot, man. Appreciate it, Mikey. You got it. P1 Pat. Yeah. What's up? Hey, man. I had a question for Mikey. I've met pretty much everyone. I listened to you a little while ago. You guys all said you grew up in the Bay Area. I'm a little confused. I grew up in Monterey. What up?
I'm a hardcore Niner fan. And I was kind of confused. I was like, you guys are all Charger fans. Are you guys all Niner fans? Oh, I can explain that one. Eddie is a hardcore Niner fan. Works for the Chargers. Me, I'm bandwagon. I don't care. And I admit it. There's no use trying to hide it. And I don't see a point in it. I don't live in the Bay Area. And so I can't, I don't follow the Niners like I used to. And I don't go to their website and keep track of what they're up to. My husband's crazy. Yeah. And I understand. Listen, I respect that. You know, he goes there, he checks up on what they're doing on the website. But because I live in San Diego and I've met a lot of the Charger players and we're the Charger station and there's a couple of the guys that. You know, I know and I like them. I can't help but, and my wife grew up here. I got a son here that was born here. He's going to grow up a Charger fan. I'm a Charger fan. In fact, I would say if I left San Diego, I might follow the Chargers. Wow. Yeah, because I'm just, I'm absolutely 100% in love with.
community. I'm in love with it. I never want to leave here. I don't. I never want to leave San Diego. I love it so much. When I was in Dallas, I never got that feeling for the Cowboys. I never got that feeling for... I just didn't. In fact, we've lived other places and I never really felt that for the city or I never felt that for their sporting teams. It's been a unique experience here, getting to know players and being a part of it and all that stuff. That's how I you know, grew to be such a Charger fan. Yeah, because I have a lot of friends that they grow up some places, but they're fans of other teams where they didn't grow up, and I just support where I grew up. I'm just kind of confused at all. Yeah, and I will say this. I still have an interest in the 49ers, so during the draft, I always want to know, like I look and read, who did they get? And I like to read about those players because I grew up being a 49er fan, and so I still do like to... Like when I read about something, I'm interested. I still have an interest. But I can't call myself, I don't know. I mean, I guess I can. I guess I'm a fan. I guess I'm a fan. I wouldn't say that I'm a hardcore fan. Eddie's still a hardcore fan. He still lives and breathes crimson and gold. I've got a question for Eddie then. What do you think about Sullivan's performance?
compared to Alex Smith's last weekend. I got to tell you, it makes me really nervous. You know, I don't, I mean, JTL Sullivan is a quarterback that's bounced around the league. He's never been anything more than a third string guy. And apparently, you know, he's come in and he's picked up the offense really well. You know, there's talk about him being the starting quarterback over Alex Smith. And then you got Sean Hill, the quarterback who performed really well at the end of the season last year. And he was thought of to come in and he was going to be the guy that challenged Alex Smith. It's all these scrubs, you know, and it's like, oh, man, I don't know what to think. I'm just like, can we just get rid of all of them and start over? Start fresh. Yeah. But I don't know. We'll see, man. Cool, brother. All right. Thanks, guys. We got a huge show. First of all, Gas Monkey's here today and tomorrow, and that's it. That's it. That's it. Hey, baby. Come on. That's it. Come on. Big winner. Yeah, the Gas Monkey is out today in PB between 8 and 9. Okay. And then tomorrow, he's going to be somewhere, and then that's it. Oh, no. Okay. Get the Mikey Show P1 Army bumper sticker on your car and be out there, because if he sees you in that Rock 105.3 van, he'll pull you over. Yeah. And he'll dance for you.
No. He'll let you pick a banana from a bunch of bananas and you see what your gas card is. It's between $25 and $250 taped to that banana. To a bunch of bananas. Let's see. Real bananas. That's right. Real bananas. Yeah. We're going to be doing something today that you may have heard of. It's called Tough Love with Eddie. You're welcome. Oh, my God. You're welcome. That's right. That's right. You're welcome. That's right. Got a nice ring to it. Our boy Eddie, he gives advice weekly. It's an advice segment. Awesome! It's like Dear Abby. It's not Dear Abby. It is just like Dear Abby. What's the difference? It's just like it. Except that it gives real advice instead of placation. It even sounds the same. Very similar tone. That's right. We are going to be inducting
Announcing two Hall of Fame inductees today. Two today, two tomorrow. Who are the last four people that are going to be in the 2008 class in Hall of Fame? We got audio. This is going to be great. A news story about an 85-year-old lady that pulled a gun on an intruder. I love it. Ashley will be doing her eating competition today. Did you practice? What? Did you practice? Did I? Huh? Well, last week you lost because you didn't practice. This time you said you were going to practice. How's that? But you said you would never, ever do that again. Yeah. Oh, well. Yeah, you know, that's so funny. I slept instead. Oh. Hey, good choice. Wow. I like it. Seth can relate. And I mean, literally, Mike, like... To make that trip to the store to get those saltines seemed like such an ordeal. I bet. I just didn't even know that I had the energy to do it. Boston Rob has a new song that we'll be playing this morning. And we've got to tell you about the Eddie B. Rob Olympics. Plus, we have the YouTube clip of the day today. And Stephen Wright in the Stand Up Spotlight.
I got a postcard from my friend George. It was a satellite picture of the entire Earth. On the back he wrote, Wish you were here. I was doing peyote when I took my SATs. I got an 1800. I went to court for a parking ticket. I pleaded insanity. I said, Your Honor, why would anyone in their right mind park in the passing lane? Curiosity killed the cat, but for a while I was a suspect. back. It is 6-51. Singer Ricky Martin is now a daddy after his surrogate gave birth to twin boys. Okay. Here we go, Ashley. Misty May trainer and Carrie Walsh win gold again in beach volleyball. Never dropping a single set in the Olympics. Winning 108 consecutive matches. Carrie Walsh talks about how important this is. Today is a historic day regardless. It really is. Just to have these opportunities is historic. You know, there's so many amazing athletes. And to be, for Misty and I to be, you know, in that category with these amazing women is huge. You know, and we're so grateful for the woman who came before us. You know, we're so happy to be carrying the torch right now for the woman who are going to come after us. But it's a very special time right now. Ashley's pumping her fist. She's standing up. She's a big fan. She's a really big fan. That's great.
My wife and I, you know, with the DirecTV, right, they have all the channels for the Olympics. And so we put the Olympics on and we were watching the Olympics. And with the DirecTV, it says, press the red button for a gold count. So we're like, ooh, let's check that out. So we press the red button. And it's actually said for a medal count. So it gives you all the medals that have been won. And it breaks them down into gold, silver, and bronze. So we're like, well, oh, let's see, you know, who got the most of what? Who got the most gold? Do you know where I'm going with this? I'm not sure, actually. Yeah, I'm not really sure. I mean. Well, I mean, the country that leads in the gold medals doesn't just lead. Oh, yeah. It's like. Killing it. It's like this Hussein, Bolt, Hussein. What's his name? Hussein. Hussein. Hussein. Hussein. It's like Bolt Hussein. He didn't just win. Hussein Bolt. Bolt. Usain Bolt. Usain Lightning Bolt. Usain Lightning Bolt. It's like him. They don't just lead. They're like way out there and then the next guy. You know what country? China. They got like 48 gold medals. Pretty impressive. And then the next closest I think is maybe the United States or something. The US has 27 golds. China has 45. That's a lot. They have a lot of good athletes.
That's crazy! USA, USA has 28 silver, 28 bronze for a total of 83, whereas China only has 15 silver and 21 bronze for a total of 81. Yeah. So we're still in the lead in total medals. So what do you think is cooler, Mike? Leading in total medals or leading in gold medals? What would you prefer? Oh, that's a great question. That is a really great question. I guess it's a, I guess. That is a far out question. I think, you know, instantly my gut says, I think what matters is that you're, you know, you're winning some, you're winning medals. Okay. You know, it means that you're excellent in a lot of different ways. You know, my wife said, boy, she's such a cynic. Oh, no. I don't like where this is going. You know, she's such a cynic. Whatever Mike is about to say, he actually said. But go ahead. I didn't, honestly. Well, I didn't because I didn't think I had to. I didn't think we had to say this out loud. She says, well, you don't think that they're biased, do you? Because it's taking place in China. Wow. And I look at her and I just turn my head to the side. And I go, listen, no, honey, I don't think that. I just think that the United States can't produce anything. That's what I think. I think that we don't have anybody in our country that's excellent. That must be.
That must be what it is. Wow. Even though they follow this by showing some highlights and they explain what it means to be excellent in that sport. And they show a Chinese gold medalist doing their thing and a United States person doing their thing. And I'm scratching my head going, wait a second. They just explained what excellence means. And a dude from the United States, he did it impeccably. He did it exactly to the standards to which they say is excellent. And the Chinese dude, although it looked very nice, he messed up just that slightest bit. Just that slightest bit. He wasn't as perfect as a dude from the United States. Goes back to that judging thing. Yeah. Yes. Eddie's right. Yeah. And the first thing I thought of was. Eddie just said this the other day. This whole concept of judging. When it's a race, one-on-one, me versus you, to the end of that line over there, the United States dominates. Swimming, running, track and field, all that stuff. When it's gymnastics and diving and things like that, when it's judged, we don't do so good. The world doesn't like us as much. It's tough to witness
literally a girl stick her landing on the uneven bars and the other girl flub her landing and when like when everything else was even it's like really tricky i'm only saying this because i'm on the radio and i'm an american and i angers hurt sadness and fear and then and then they show the swimming and michael phelps is just killing it and the chinese guy next to him in the next lane i'm not kidding you He had an inner tube on and water wings. That's not fair. And I was like, well, what's up with that? He was in a boat. With a propeller. I said, that is not fair, honey. All right, so let's talk about this officer and the dying dog. Oh, Mike, no. Very controversial. Oh, boy. Strap yourself in, girl. No one warned me about this. It's very controversial. What I'm about to play for you is audio of a police officer where? In San Marcos, Texas. San Marcos, Texas. That's interesting because when I've used GPS before and when I type in San Marcos, I always saw that. I'm like, whoa, I didn't know there was two San Marcos in the United States. North County, Texas. That's right. From San Marcos, Texas.
Man and wife are rushing their dog to the veterinarian in the middle of the night. And they are pulled over. It's choking. It's choking. They are pulled over by an officer of the law. And this is what takes place. Cut 23. Step out of the vehicle, sir. Get out of the vehicle. Come back here. Just relax. Come back here. Stay right there. What the hell is wrong? Who's dying? Relax. My dog. Relax. Okay, that's no reason for you to drive 100 miles an hour on the interstate, okay? And then not stop, okay? Look at all these units out here now because of you being stupid. Where's your driver's license at? It's a dog, okay? You can get another one. Relax, this is not your driver's license. You need to calm down. At 24.
to crash into a family of four and kill them for a dog, okay? I understand in my situation that you're not going to get on the road and drive in that manner, okay? It's reckless driving, not to mention you didn't stop. So I'm going to let you slide on the evading and not take a jump back on me because I am a little bit pathetic, and I do understand that in your mind it was an actual emergency. Well, updates. First of all, how is the dog? Well... The officer, I guess it took about 20 minutes to actually issue the speeding ticket after the initial pullover. And so during that time, the dog died on the girlfriend's lap. Update on the cop. He's been verbally reprimanded and said that he will receive counseling on his insensitivity. All right. Well, a couple things. I'll give you my feelings and I want to hear what you guys think. 570-1053, our text number 35253.
That cop's out of line. He is highly, highly, highly insensitive. Highly insensitive. I just want to rewind a little bit and go on. Let's say he's a good cop because that's a mean cop that's insensitive. But let's say he's a good cop that's very sensitive with a kind heart. Then let's rewind and work with the information that a kind-hearted cop has to work with. He sees people. going down the interstate over 100 miles per hour, does he, A, ignore it, B, pull them over and arrest them, or C, take a nap? And is there a D? Maybe I'm missing one. Is there any other option? Does he pull them over? Does he do nothing? Or is there another option? Can he pull them over and have compassion? Yes, yes, but we're just...
Dealing with pulling them over. First, we got to pull them over, right? And then have compassion. Ignore it. Pull it over. Or anything else you guys think might be fair here. I think he for sure pulls them over. He doesn't know what the situation is. For sure pulls them over. Absolutely. Doesn't know the situation. Sure. Okay. Now, I will agree with you. Once you pull them over and this is the situation, you escort them. Yes. You know, if you're a kind and compassionate... If that is within the law and you're able to do that and you're a kind and compassionate soul, oh my goodness, get... Okay, now let's rewind again. Now, this time, we're going to do multiple choice on the person in the car. Oh, God. Now, I'm going to tell you from my perspective. I can only tell you, I can only give you what's in my heart. Because the officer says, at one point, if you are going to be...
You know, going over 100 miles an hour, you better have a child in that car instead of a dog. And he's yelling it and he's mean and whatever. I will tell you this. If my son Jake were choking, you can bet I will be driving over 100 miles an hour in my car. In fact, I will be going as fast as the engine will allow. My particular engine is governed to 152 miles an hour. And I will be pushing that. But I will not pull over. I won't pull over if I got the OJ posse behind me. I won't pull over. So I find it unusual that the guy pulled over. Now, I think that there's a reason that he pulled over. The reason I think that he pulled over is because even in his own mind, the dog. was different than a human being. Because I think that if his girlfriend had been choking, I don't think he would have pulled over. I don't think any of us would pull over if our girlfriend were choking. Is the cop out of line 100% mean, jerk, incompassionate, and should be punished more than a verbal reprimand? Dude, take a couple weeks off. You don't talk to people that way, regardless of what the deal is.
These strobe lights kept going off in my head. Because we're instantly upset. All of us are instantly upset. Holy cow, there's a dog. The dog's dying. And these strobe lights are going off in my head. Then why is he pulling over? If it's that big a deal, why is he pulling over? I mean, if we're going to elevate the dog, and how dare you treat a dog any differently? Okay, okay, okay. But then let's not treat the dog differently. Because if it's our son, we're not pulling over. Now, do you think that maybe the driver in his mind was thinking, well, if I pull over and I tell the cop this is the situation, he will escort me to the thing and all will be well. Yes, I do. Yes, I do. But then I have to put a comma after that and say if it were a human being, he wouldn't do that. Why would he not do that? Why would he not do that if it were a human being? And it's not rhetorical. I mean it. Like, why would he not do that if it were a human being? You know, he's trying to save a life. Every second would be precious. Every second would be precious. And there is absolutely no way in the world that you would risk allowing a human being to die. I agree with you. And he probably thinks he won't get in trouble. Yeah. Once they get there. Once they get there. But with a dog. But with a dog. It's kind of a gray area. It's kind of a gray area. Right. It's kind of a gray area.
Now, I don't blame him. I don't blame him for thinking that. And I'll tell you this. If I were going over 100 miles an hour with our cat in the car and there is a patrol car behind me, I'm like, this would be me. Oh, my goodness. What do I do? Babe, do I pull over? Do we keep going? And I probably would have made the same decision he did because it's not a human being. So no matter what, we draw a distinction. Yeah, I wouldn't have pulled over. You wouldn't have? No. And Skye, I got to say, I commend you. Like, Skye is, she sticks to her convictions, man. And so, you know what? If she got there and she got in trouble, at least her cat would probably live. At least I could, you know, sleep knowing that I did everything I could. And what I would have done is as soon as I saw those lights go on behind me, I would have immediately called 911. And I would say, hey, 911, a cop car is following me right now. My cat is choking to death. I will not pull over. They can follow me to the animal hospital and write me up a ticket once my cat is in the vet's game. Love it. That is good, man. Makes sense. It makes sense. But as I'm putting it all together in my head, I'm like, well, cops operating on what cop operates on. Car going over 100 miles an hour. He's not very nice, man, when he pulls him over.
But I'll tell you what, I ain't stopping if it's... Yeah, and the guy, it wasn't like when he got out of the car, it was rational. So, I mean, the cop was kind of like already annoyed and not to, I'm not defending the cop, but you could see kind of... Well, you know, if you put yourself in the cop's position, as you're chasing a guy at 100 miles an hour and you're radioing in, I'm in pursuit of somebody going over 100 miles an hour, your heart is going... So when you get out of the car, your adrenaline, which is a real chemical, has been released and you are charged up. Yeah, because probably like 99% of the people who evade arrest are wanted criminals. I can also say this. I think that somebody with more compassion and kindness in their heart could have that same adrenaline rushing through their body and they may be able to go, all right, get in your car. I'm going to help you out and just follow me. Yeah. Because then it's safe. Yeah.
Yeah, somewhat more safe. Even with all that going on, like isn't like the human's natural reaction when you see, because that dude was obviously freaking out, right? Like hysterically crying, like freaking out. So when you kind of pull over and, you know, the initial adrenaline goes away, like that was a long clip we played. The guy was bawling and the cops still like nothing registered for him. You know what I mean? There's something to that. There was no... There was no even, like, sensitivity, like, whatsoever, even after the pullover, even after, you know, the balling guy explained his situation. Like, to me, that's like, there's something not clicking. Yeah, because if the guy were a criminal, he'd have either gotten out and ran or been belligerent. Or not gotten out and explained his situation. So, like, right there, all of a sudden, you have to go, all right, this dude's obviously not hiding it. You know what I mean? Like, there's a real dog in the car. I've said this a million times. I think that anger, which that cop's pissed, anger is hurt, sadness, and fear. And I do think that cop was scared. I think that when that guy got out of the car and was irrational, the cop could have been going, is this dude nuts? And I think he did think he was crazy. In defense of the cop, when they pull people over, you have to realize it.
When he pulls someone over after a high-speed pursuit, probably 99% of the time, it's a criminal who is probably on something. They act similarly to this guy. They're irrational. They're crying or whatever. And this cop isn't going to be fooled by, in his mind, another one of these guys. I can see it. They pull over more bad people than good people. So it's difficult, I think, for a cop to recognize. The good from the bad. But I think we all recognize, even if that's a situation, I think we all recognize, man, once he gets it. Once he actually sees the dog choking. That's what I was going to say. I think we all recognize when you see a girlfriend or the girl in complete distress with a dog choking on its lap, that's when you... Click. It's clicks. Really? Was that audio? It's not brain surgery. It's actual audio. You either have a heart or you don't. It's as simple as that. I'll tell you what the brilliance is in her talent is that she is able to, with very slight nuances and changes of the vocal cords. Thank you, Mike. Thank you. Do a dog, a human being, oddly enough, a raccoon. Wow. Wow. How did she do it? You didn't see that one. Did not. Keep you on your toes, Mike.

There's an accident involving a motorcycle here that was in the slow lane, South 15, before a Valley Parkway. You're making me sound like I'm crazy. I'm out. Be Rizzle. Go me. All right. That's right. Go you. And Ashley. Hi. I'm a laughy person. The Mikey Show's on. Oh, we are messed up in the head. Rock One Live 3. They're showing Misty and Katrina. No. And the waves. Gold medalist, U.S. women's beach volleyball. They were hugging in the sand and just really happy. And they are approximately six foot nine inches tall. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Carrie Walsh is a giant. Yeah.
She's like 6'1", 6'2". I mean, it's got to be that her mother is like 5'10", and her father's 6'4", because, you know, women are genetically smaller than men. So for them to be that tall... Her dad played volleyball, I believe. Really? That was a misdemeanor. One of them, yeah. And they're real pretty, too. Yeah. You know, they're like... They're foxes, as they say. Yeah, they're foxes. Oh, foxy. They're foxy. In the industry. They're foxy. So what's the deal? I mean, we always hear, I just thought about this for the first time. I'm like, so people from the Amazon are really tall? Like, why do they always call tall women Amazons? That's a good question. So people from the Amazon are tall? Yes. Yeah, they are. Is that right, Rob? Is that right? 1999, they did a census. Yes. What was it? Yeah, they haven't done one since. Since 99? Something about the trees there. They need to be taller so they're above the feet. Gotcha. Gotcha. The body needs sun. Great fact. But I believe that. It's a great fact. I believe it. Tuck that away. Tuck that away, kids. Okay, yeah. I believe that. Or it could be great mythology. Yes. Take your pick. That's where I got it from. It is $7.21. PETA has announced that they want to buy one of the SeaWorld theme parks and set all of the animals free.
I thought you were going to try. We need to have a sound effect. We need to have a sound effect. What's funny? Of marbles getting lost. Like just spilling out all over the floor. Wow. Like they've lost their marbles. I'm fine with it. Let those animals out of here. My goodness. Get them out. Creatures. How about we just kill them? No, Eddie. Stop it. Diss the whales. Eddie is afraid of killer whales. Eddie is afraid of... It's in the name. It's in the title. Calm down. That's right. Holy moly. Okay. Well, this has become quite a hot button. We played audio of the police officer in San Marcos, Texas, pulling over a couple who were driving over 100 miles an hour on the interstate to save their dog. Their dog was choking. And trooper, state trooper, pulled them over and was very, very insensitive to them. Cut 24.
I understand in my opinion that you're not going to get on the road and drive in that manner. Okay? It's reckless drive, not to mention you didn't stop. So, I'm going to let you slide on the evading and not take a jump for felony because I am a little bit deaesthetic and I do understand that in your mind it was an actual emergency. Would you eat your dog? Would you eat your cat? Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah, I do. Coleslaw. Stop it. It is murder. Yeah, and that's a crime. Yeah. Yeah, I wouldn't. Yeah, so. Definitely. People feel strongly about that, too. The things that we've said. People feel strongly about it. And if you don't realize that, you've never been to a protest in your life. Not one time. Because I have. And I'm here to tell you right now, I've experienced it. Right. Coleslaw is murder. Thank you. And that's all I'm trying to tell you. I'm glad you're using this forum. Thank you. Well, that's why I'm very fortunate. This is the text messages that we're getting at 35253. Mike, that is horrible. Dogs are like family. That's P1 Paperboy. Mikey, what do you want him to do? He was doing his job. That's P1 Eric. I'd sue the cop in the police department. That's a legitimate emergency. He should have given them an escort. Leave him alone. He's doing his job. It's just a dog. The guy broke the law. The cop was right. I don't want my wife and kids to die over a dog.
Stop being such a bleeding heart. Not even an ambulance is allowed those speeds. He may be right. I don't know. I don't know if ambulance drivers are not allowed to exceed certain speeds. Mikey, cops are trained in CPR to help choking victims. That's people, though, that they're trained. CPR. CPR. CPR. Kissing a dog. I was being very vulnerable. I know, but both things were right up your alley. That was a long time ago. Good point, Mike. Mikey, what if it was a canine dog unit? It's P1 Harv. What does that have to do with anything? I didn't know either. Well, I think if it was a police dog, it would be considered. It's officer down. It's an emergency. So if he had pulled over a person that had a canine in their car is what you're saying. A canine unit. A canine unit dog in their car. Yeah. If he pulled over a civilian. If he pulled over another police officer. Yes. Oh, gotcha. Now it makes sense. Yes. Listen, I want to be clear. It's not that I'm a bleeding heart. I think the cop did exactly what the cop was supposed to do. He pulled somebody over that was going over 100 miles an hour. It was just, I said that he was very insensitive and he was. Wow.
I have a question. Yeah. What if you have Snoop Doggy Dog in your car and he's choking? What about that? So technically, you do have a dog, but you also have a human. Right. And then what? And then what? You're the worst. This is serious, bro. This is serious. Wrap your head around. Hey, jokester. Enough. Oh, really? Enough. Does he have a dog in the car? No, he has a human in the car. That's a dog name. You're a racist. What if you're in the car listening to Dog Day Afternoon? What about that? Someone chokes. Is there a dog in the car? Is there a dog in the car? Yes. Is there a human being in the car? Yes. Yes. Now what? Trip out. Trip out on that. P1 Nick, what do you think? I know from personal experience, my stepdad is law enforcement and has a dog when he's out doing street beat. And I know for a fact, if that was my father, off duty or on duty, when you're on duty, that dog is considered a human being.
And if he was off duty, whether he would have told the officer he had a badge or not, that officer either should have administered CPR to that dog or turned around and gave him a police escort. And he opens himself up to litigation and to be sued because he was an insensitive jerk when he had absolutely every reason to pull him over, but also had every reason to turn around and say, oh, there's a dog in the back seat. The lady's freaking out. The guy's freaking out. The dog obviously has a problem. You can escort him to the hospital. and it would have been said and done and then write him the ticket if he wanted to be that big of an a-hole about it. I would be really interested in seeing how, in fact, it's a law that if a dog is choking, you are to administer CPR. And what we know about CPR is 30 compressions. Hang on just a second. 30 compressions, two breaths. Okay, and so you're telling me that law enforcement is in fact trained for doggy... CPR is what you're saying. Sir. Enforcement is trained to administer CPR, whether it's an animal, whether it's a human being. Any fire department, any firefighter will tell you they administer CPR to animals every day that are in house fires, that are in situations that need CPR. So there's no excuse that that officer didn't escort that couple to an animal hospital. And he opens that precinct and himself opens a lawsuit.
Can I be serious? I agree with you. You're sitting there. I agree with you. Yeah, no, well said, guy on the phone. Well said. I'm not buying that. I'm sorry. I'm not buying that law enforcement is to give dog CPR. I'm not buying that. I'm sorry. For the record, dog CPR is really easy. Okay, well, it's on the record. For the record, I believe you. It's really easy. I do know that what he's saying about animals being rescued from fires is true. They put the little oxygen mask on your animal. We have a firefighter on line three. We have a sheriff on line six. Let's find out. If I'm wrong, I apologize. P1 firefighter. Hello. How are you? Good. How are you doing, Mikey? I'm good, man. You guys are trained for dog CPR? No, I'm not, but I could wing it. Okay. I could definitely wing it if I needed to. I was under the impression from our previous caller that, in fact, law enforcement and health officials are trained in administering dog CPR. Now, as we know, CPR consists of 30 compressions to two breaths. Okay. On a human. I want you to know this. Well, I know. As you are. On a human. On a human. Yeah.
What is it for a dog? I'm sure it would work. I don't know why it wouldn't. What about for a cat? Does this sound silly? Is there any part of this that sounds... Then why did Rob... Not to me at all. It was an itch. Why would that be silly? It does sound a little silly. 30 compressions to two breaths on a poodle. It's simpler. I mean, it's not exactly the same, but you can work it out. Did you hear, Sean? His natural instinct was to find that humorous. That was his natural instinct. When I said poodle, something in his funny bone went, oh, my brain has processed that as humorous. I believe it was a poodle. It was. It was a poodle. Are you kidding me? It was a teacup poodle. That doesn't make it funny. You said teacup. Yeah. It isn't funny. It isn't funny. It's not funny. It's not funny. Let me distinguish. Let me distinguish, Sky. Fine. I better not even try. P1 firefighter. Of course you can, Ashley. Just for the record, for people who maybe don't know, it's...
It's as simple as taking your finger, which also applies to when babies are choking, but with dogs as well. It's as simple as taking your finger and sticking it down the dog's throat and trying to get what is lodging the throat out. And then what you want to do to see if you got it out is cover the dog's nose, close the dog's mouth, breathe into its nose, and if you see the stomach go up and down. then you know that it's breathing. If not, it's still lodged in there and you want to try to get your finger back down in there and remove the item because normally it's right there. That's what I learned. That's what I learned. Take a knife and open it up and reach in. It's as simple as that. People just don't know, you know, so they don't know what to do. But for dog owners, try that. Is this really what the point is all about? I have two more questions. Save some lives. He's right. This is not the point. Anybody else want to save some lives here? Are we all just going to keep making jokes?
About doggy. You're laughing as you say that. These are not jokes. I am not laughing. This is an important topic and I'm passionate about this. You'd eat your dog if you were hungry enough. I'm starving right now. She would eat Sammy as sure. I could really go for a scramble. I'm hungry. P1 dude with a chick's name is on the line. Are you there? Yeah, Mikey, what's up? Not too much. What do you think about this? I think that the, you're not going to like this, but I got a lot of buddies that are cops, and I really don't think he did anything wrong. You guys are right about the adrenaline when you pull somebody over. I mean, he's fired up. He chased that guy, and the guy didn't pull over. And it's a dog. And like I said, the B-Rob, what if he was up going 100 miles an hour and he killed somebody? Listen, I've got to drive this point home. Yeah. For those of you that just heard this guy say, it's just a dog, and then got angry. For those of you that heard him say that and then got angry, all I'm going to ask you is, why'd that person pull over? And then I'm going to ask you this question. If you were driving and your husband or your wife or your boyfriend or your girlfriend were next to you choking, would you pull over? No way.
I have two boys, 8 and 14. I'd drive as fast as my truck or car would go. As fast as it would go, and I wouldn't pull over. I'm not even going to make a judgment on what I asked you to just do. I'm just going to ask you to do it, and then think it through. I'm not saying that that cop was... This is where I have fault with the cop. He was so mean. Yeah, saying, oh, you can just get another one. That's not necessary. It's not necessary. No. It wasn't necessary, and I don't listen. Even those of you that think that he was within his right, I don't think that was necessary. It was just cruel. It was just cruel. Should he have pulled him over? Of course. Was he maybe even okay in seeing the guy get out of the car and sort of summarizing that the guy may have been on drugs or something because he's crying and he's carrying on? Who knows? I mean, they could pull over people. They probably do. I think Sky said, you know, 99% of the time, this is not what this is. Sky did make that point. Yeah, I mean, it was a great point. Well, I mean, it's a made-up statistic, but yeah. But it was, you know, it was a definitely, you know, studied statistic. Yeah, yeah. Rob told it. Rob told. I am it. Found it in a book. That's right. Yeah, look into those. P1 Brian. Yes, how you doing? Good, man. What do you think?
I think the cop was well within his rights. And after listening to you guys talk about it, I can't believe how Skye would defend her point. I mean, as a society, should we pay for an ambulance and a police escort every time somebody's bunny starts choking? Is that what we should do? I can answer, but Skye, do you want to? Well, I'm just saying. Go ahead. Listen, first of all, I'm going to make the point for her. First of all, I honestly don't think... that we would have a run on bunny choking incidents? No. I really don't. You don't know that. I don't know that. I don't know that, but I'm going to take the leap that I don't think people will abuse law enforcement by rushing their bunny rabbits to the vet. I don't. I don't think that any more than I think that people will abuse the rights of, will abuse law enforcement by rushing their dogs to the vet because I just don't think that there's a big run on it.
I don't think there's a big run on it with human beings, to be honest with you. And so in that regard, I think that what happened, sir, was very random. It was a random thing. And so my point is, once he realized what was going on, it just wasn't necessary to be cruel. You know what I mean? Yeah, but he's not paid to be a nice guy. No, no, no, no. He's not paid to be mean. He's also not paid to be cruel. He's not. Like, what's why? That coleslaw is murder. That is the bottom line here. I think as long as we get that message out, I think we're probably good. Would you? Would you? That's all. Ask yourself that. Thank you. Well said. There is a sheriff's deputy on the line named P1 John. Are you there, John? I am. How you doing? Good. How's Ponch? You get it? Because Ponch's partner was John. John, what do you think? I think you guys are 100% dead on. And I don't know if you guys know this, but this similar incident happened right here in San Diego not too long ago with a, let's just say, a wife of a famous charger. And their dog got bit by a coyote. And I heard this from the deputy that stopped.
The wife. She was at high speeds taking the dog to the vet. Got pulled over. Found out why she was driving at that speed. The deputy said, okay, I'm going to escort you. And he didn't have to do it at 100 miles an hour. He did his escort at Code 3, but at safe speeds. How fast do you think he traveled? Code 3. What does that mean? Just past Code 2. Just over Code 2. One up. Do we know what it was, the speed? Well, it wasn't as fast as code four. No. She was doing over 100 when she was stopped. What did the cop do when he escorted her? When he did escort, I'm just guessing around 60 to 70. 70. 60 to 70. That's usually code three. Thank you very much. Anything over that, code four. Or Mach five. See, that was nice. That's a good cop. That's a good cop. With a good heart. Good cop with a good heart.
It's good karma for the record. This record is something else. There's a lot of entries to the record this morning. P1 Pen. I think the record's full. No, it is not full. It's got more room? Oh, yeah. You better believe it. P1 Pen. P1 Pen. P1 Pen. Maybe if you say it again. Well said. P1 Pen. Or not. Don't you go dying on me. Stop dying. from Dumb and Dumber, I would not be laughing. Yeah, you would. You liar. 5701053 is the number. Our text number is 35253. When we come back, we are going to announce two more inductees into the P1 Hall of Fame. This is the Mikey Show. So after getting really, really sick, this guy obviously went to get medical treatment and was able to pass the tapeworm. The nine foot tapeworm. He was able to pass it. And then the doctors did tests on it and determined that it came from undercooked fish. It's not like the rope in gym class. It's not. Hand over fist, hand over fist. Bear gorillas. They're doing tests on the tapeworm. They determined it came from undercooked fish. And this guy said he had recently ordered a salmon salad for lunch at this restaurant in Chicago. You want to know something? I think that ordering a salmon salad is grosser than a nine-foot tapeworm. You're listening to Mikey. It is 7.53. Actress Jennifer Garner has confirmed that she's expecting her second child with hubby Ben Affleck.
This is crushing. The U.S. women's softball team loses to Japan in the gold medal game. They have won gold in every Olympics since it became an Olympic sport in 1996. For real? Yeah. They dominate. I mean, they absolutely dominate. That's crazy! For them to lose in the gold medal game, that's brutal. To the show. We're going to be broadcasting live from Harrah's Rincon. And it is going to be... This is going to be a broadcast of all broadcasts. It's going to happen Friday morning, September the 5th. And we are going to be inducting seven people into the Mikey Show P1 Hall of Fame. And we're going to be doing the whole show from there. The whole thing will be broadcast. Anybody's welcome to come out there and check it out. You can buy breakfast if you want to. And it's going to be really amazing. Night before that, we're doing a poker tournament. It's going to be a whole weekend out there. It's going to be a whole incredible weekend out there. Just amazing.
And if you want to, you could actually get a really cool package and save a lot of money and be a part of everything. There's two packages available. And if you go to MikeyShow.com and you click on keyword fame. Fame. Fame. Fame. You can get all the details. We're there to induct the best P1s that we have. Seven of them. Seven of the best. The 2008. The first class. Going to have a big plaque in the studio here at all times that will have all of their names on it. And in years to come, their names will be inscribed. They're going to be presented with a P1 Hall of Fame jacket. That's really cool. Now, here are the names that we've announced so far. Since there will be seven, we're doing two names today and two names tomorrow. But so far, this is who has been inducted. P1 Spaceboy. No brainer. Duh. Yeah, please. P1 Quimby. And?
Yesterday, P1 T-Rex. And today we have two Hall of Fame inductees on the line. First, ladies and gentlemen, P1 Danny. Danny, how are you, man? Good, you? I'm doing well. Just a couple of words on P1 Danny. P1 Danny is such a hardcore fan of the Mikey Show. That he created a website called p1site.com. And this website is fully and completely created by and is for P1s. It doesn't have any affiliation with the radio station. And it's just, it's incredible. It's incredible. And the stuff they do on there is just incredible. I mean, I can't stand up. Danny shows up at every event.
With a video camera or picture or just a regular camera. And he documents every appearance we do or, you know, whatever it is we're doing. And puts it on P1Site.com, which is bigger than what we even do. Is this a big deal for you, Danny? Oh, dude, this is the biggest deal. I mean, with the birth of my children, this is going to be up there. Fantastic. That's what we want to hear. Yeah, I'm really excited. And the other inductee, I will let him say hello to you. Yes. Go ahead and say hello, other inductee. Good morning, San Diego. Ladies and gentlemen, P1 Sanjaya. I mean, it's just, I mean. Who needs a middle when you got this? Exactly. You know what I'm saying? Exactly. And the thing about Sanjaya is, of course you know him. Because he calls in and he does the Sanjaya voice. But you also know him because if you go to any of our appearances, he's there. Yes. He was at BMW Encinitas this last weekend. Yeah, he was. He was at my event. Was he? Yeah. He showed up at the sticker strike in an RV. Yep. I brought an RV. Has a P1 Army tattoo on the inside of his lip. Oh, my goodness. That I did not know. That's what's up. I did not know that.
A little bit scared right now, but, you know. Maybe a little overboard to some, but. Awesome. But the guy's an Uber fan. Yes. Created a character on the show, which is hard to do. Yeah, it is. Yeah. Yeah, it is. And Sanjaya, how about you? Does this mean a lot to you? Yeah, dude. Once I got that email, man, after that, I couldn't get any sleep, dude. Nice. That's great. Yeah. Now I can actually get some rest and stuff. You know, I've been so excited. Tossing and turning, you know. He's wanted to be able to tell people. Yeah. You know, and I said, if you could, just please keep it quiet until we make the announcement. And so now he's okay to talk about it to everybody. Danny, how about you? How did you find out about it? Got the email and then immediately called Quimby. Quimby. We've been really, like, it's been hard to keep this a secret. It's a big thing for us. Blow up your website now, bro. Yeah, exactly. Blow up the website. It will be. It's already on the main page and everything. You know, if you create a website about our show, you're going to probably get in the Hall of Fame. That is true. That is true. That's pretty huge. Yeah, absolutely. That's above and beyond a regular just listener, you know, which we love too, but man, that's what this Hall of Fame is for. That's what it's about. Above and beyond. That's right.
I mean, what other show are you going to be able to, like, dress up as a panda and, like, without the influence of, like, drugs and alcohol and have fun, you know? Wow. I don't know that I would have said that. That is true. P1 site is so cool. So on there, they have, you know, who's going to be in the Hall of Fame. And they have, like, seven, you know, like, basically silhouettes of people with question marks on the face. And so the three that we announced over the last three days, those photos have been filled in. And then the other ones still are blank with the question mark on the face. Dude, they so get it. Yeah, they do. Such a great site. They do. They do a great job. And if you check out p1site.com, you'll see what they do. It's amazing. Yeah, it is. It's amazing. It's been a while since I've been there. One of their front rotating pages says beach blast on it and then has a picture of Sanjaya in a Speedo. So I wasn't expecting that. Beach Blast. There you go. So awesome. P1 Danny, P1 Sanjaya, congratulations to you guys. Thank you, guys. We love you guys so much. You're very welcome. Thanks, guys. We'll talk to you later. Completely consumed with P1 site. I know. I haven't been to this web page in quite a while. It's great. It's a great site.
It's fantastic. And the thing that's really great about it is that they really sort of highlight their P1s. If you're a P1, like, you know, they got P1 Veronica on there because she's in a play. And they're spotlighting her because she's a P1. And if you're a P1, you're in the P1 army and you're a friend and they spotlight. And that's just, that's fantastic, man. So cool. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. P1 Police Alert is on the line. Yeah, what up? Hey, hey, hey. It's not me. I can't. It's not me. But hey, I was just letting all the P1s know that...
There's a lot of police patrol and mission guards, so P1s, be careful out there, and boom goes the dynamite. You guys have a good one. Thank you. Thank you. Boom goes the dynamite. Thank you very much. I have no idea what's going on. Well, I recognize. Yeah, we recognize the voice. Instantly. I love that you say his name. Oh, yeah. And then he says, it's not me. It's not me. By the way. It's not me. It's not me. But then that means it's you. Yeah, who do you mean by you? Yeah. Who do you mean by me? We think you are. It is 8 a.m., and so that means between now and 9 a.m., the gas monkey is out. The monkey monkey? Yes. Today and tomorrow, that's it. You want free gas? Come on. Put that Mikey Show P1 Army sticker on your car, the new one. And then get out to PB this morning because that's where he is. Pacific Beach area. The gas monkey will be out in Pacific Beach this hour. And he's looking for people with a sticker on their car. He'll pull you over. He'll dance. Hold out a bunch of bananas. Let you pick a banana. And underneath the banana sticker, there's a sticker on the banana. Underneath it is gas card.
Between $25 and $250, which one will you get? That's pretty awesome. When we come back, when we come back, Eddie, should we get to the Ashley eating competition? Yeah, she's starving. We need to eat. I want a scramble. Well, not quite what you're getting today. Ashley is going to be going up against Nicole, a listener, and they're going to be eating crackers. It's an eating competition. If you didn't hear it last week, It's compelling. It is compelling. I will say that right now. You don't want to miss this. I'm ready to stuff my face. Cute girls shoving food in their mouth. I don't know what it is. It's a ratings juggernaut. We'll be right back.

Jake Peavy blows a 4-0 lead, which rarely happens, and the Padres lose to the Diamondbacks 8-6. To decide gastric prowess, The Monkey Show presents the Ashley Eating Competition. We videotaped this so you can check it out on the web later. Pretty funny seeing two girls go against each other eating. They're both 25. They're both really pretty. Look at these two girls. This is hysterical. That's what makes it funny. Ashley's mad. Yeah. Why is she pissed off? She's real mad. Well, Eddie explained the rules, and she didn't like the rules. She didn't like it. I don't even know why you brought in your water. I told you there's no water allowed. Her competitor wants a sip. There's so much going on right now that's sad. What's the matter? What's mommy mad about? First of all, I'm starving. Why is mommy mad at it? I'm starving. Yeah, she's starving. We all know this. I've made this clear. She's starving. Yeah. Sweet Seth over here decides to go off and get breakfast for the entire show.
Ashley. Does he have a death wish? Does he hate me? I've been so nice to him. Eddie said off the air. Eddie said off the air to Zeth. He goes, nuts. I'm not going to speak for him. Okay, so I'm already worked up. And then Eddie comes in and goes, okay, okay, with the cracker competition, no water. I'm like, what the? Wait a minute. Zeth was about to talk and then he looked at me and he kind of motioned like, it's your microphone. I'm telling you. I don't want to answer for you. You say why you left. I had to get back in time so Rob could go do his thing. So I'll go back out. It's not a problem. Oh, well, that's nice. That's really sweet. She doesn't look like she has accepting face. That's not accepting face. That's upset face. Oh, look, Zeta's taking a picture of himself. Sad. That'll help. That'll make it better. And then with the no water mic. Talk about it. Okay. The hot dog guy. The hot dog guy. Kobayashi. Kobayashi. Kobayashi. Gets water. Yeah. We got water last time we did the eating competition. Crackers are like the driest food on earth. Why do we not get water now? I'll tell you why. That's the rules. That's kind of the point. I'll explain. I'll explain to you. I'll explain. The deal with this cracker thing is that you cannot eat seven saltine crackers within one minute's time. And so they do this without water. Yeah. That is science. Holmes.
And the way that we're going to do it is that we are just going to say to you guys, you've finished Seven Crackers and we don't care how long it takes you. First one to finish wins. So you've got to see her. She's doing a photo shoot right now. In the middle of explaining to her how it works. Anyway. Mommy had to take a picture. So the girl that she's competing against is... Her sister-in-law. Well, Eddie, not her sister-in-law yet. Her boyfriend. It's her boyfriend. Her boyfriend, Mark's sister. Maybe you can tell him. I love you so much. If he's listening, I love you more. Oh, my gosh, sister. Could you relay a message to him? Please. You're a bridesmaid. You're in. You're a bridesmaid. I'll pay you to convince him. Can I ask him? Oh, no. Why doesn't he just ask? I love you. I will say yes. Oh, my gosh. Wow. Let's do this. All right. Here's the point, guys. What's up? The point is you're going to eat seven saltine crackers, and the first person to finish all seven wins. So are you a big eater, Nicole? I'm a pretty big eater. I don't know, though. I've seen.
I've seen Sarah in action. Look at little blonde Nicole. Who is Sarah? We don't know anyone's name Sarah. Who is Sarah? We don't know a Sarah. I mean, Ashley. Is your name Sarah? Shut up. My name is not. Are you ready to eat? Yeah. I'm not ready. For the record, though, like, I really... There's another thing for the record. Yeah, yeah. Turn the page on the record. We need to add another. Thank you. We just finished the whole record book. I know. We need a new book. Starting a new one. This is important. This is on the record. Go ahead and put it. She's tiny, right? Like, she's 5'3". 5'3". She's little. I think I've got this, like, in the bag. Right. Are you guaranteed victory? You can put it on the board. But do you remember last week? Yeah, last week you said... And you practiced, right? You guaranteed victory. You practiced. You said you were never going to have another competition. Mommy needed a nap. Without practicing. Yeah, Mommy got tired. And she was asleep. Do you think that's what Usain Bolt said? No. I do not think he says that. If you're going to win a gold medal, You don't nap. Oh, okay. But let's do this. All right, let's do it. Sean has a timer, a 60-second timer. Can I stand up? You can do whatever you want. You can do whatever you want. Yeah, it's whatever your style. It makes the digestive system straighten out so it helps with the flow of the crackers. You ready? Your competitor is standing. Your competitor is standing. Are you ready? On your mark, get set.
She's got that cracker right up to her mouth. Is she allowed to do that? I guess you're allowed to do that. On your mark, get set, go. This is interesting. Nicole's taking the three cracker. Ashley's going one at a time. There are cracker crumbs all over in front of Ashley. She's slowing down. She's spitting food everywhere. Eddie predicted she would spit food everywhere. It literally took 15 seconds. That is a gigantic, dramatic bite from Ashley. A dramatic bite from Ashley. They're spilling everywhere, Skye. Okay, okay. Ashley laughs. Dry cracker spills out onto the table in front of her. It's like snowing in here. It is. It's snowing. That's dramatic. Stop laughing. She's spitting every time you laugh. Each time Ashley takes a bite, she pauses, holds still, and then goes... Ashley now has four crackers in her mouth. Nicole just put two more. She has five in her mouth. Oh, my God. But isn't even close to swallowing. Okay, Ashley. Not talk. When she talks, that's it. Stop. Now, they get to keep going as long as it takes. Whoever finishes first. They get to keep going as long as it takes to finish all. Okay. Why does she do that? What is that? What is that when she does that? What is that pause and then? It's a dramatic.
Would you look in front of Ashley? It's just a mess. Yeah, get a picture of that. It's disgusting. It's a mess. You have a whole other cracker right there. Hey, people work in this environment. That's ridiculous. Wow, she's sticking her tongue. A big mound of cracker. A big mound of cracker. I mean, she's a beautiful girl. Do you notice that Nicole has class about this? She's got class about it. not opening her mouth. She's got her mouth closed. I need to update you. Ashley has one cracker left in her hand, but a full giant mouthful of dry cracker. Nicole is chewing and swallowing her food. By the way, in front of Nicole, it's completely clean. It's spotless. Ashley, it looks like a raccoon made its way into the kitchen. Last cracker into Ashley's mouth. She's got to finish it. Chew, chew, chew. Ashley, I think I'm going to have to make Ashley eat those crumbs in front of her. She's going to have to scoop those crumbs up and eat those crumbs. That's really weird. This is world-class technique. She knows what she's doing. All the crackers are in Nicole's mouth now. Some are spraying. Get those crackers, girl. Get those crumbs down.
She's scooping him into her left hand. Okay. She just threw him into her mouth. Get him down. Get him down. Get him down. Some spilled onto the floor, but that's fine. Ashley wins. She's running around the room. She's running around the room ridiculously. Do you believe it? Oh, my God. What a speech. She wanted a high five, but Nicole is still chewing. Look at this. This is disgusting. Look at the floor. Eddie's papers in front of him are covered in saliva-spilled cracker. Oh, they're hugging, true Olympic spirit here. They're both crying hysterically. Ashley, speech, speech. Ashley's going for the water. She's drinking. There's no water in there. It's like she's in the desert. Drink Rob's. It's right there. I'm sure he wouldn't mind. We're waiting for a speech from both competitors.
Ashley is swishing the water around in her mouth. We're awaiting a statement. And here we go. I would just like to say thank you to my base coach, Mark, who did not take sides on this, but did prep me and give me a little strategy as to how to eat the crackers. What about your fans? And all the fans out there that believed in me, this one was for you guys. Nicole, how do you feel that your brother turned against you? Yeah, yeah. How do you feel about that? You knew it really hurt. That's brutal. That's awful. That is awful. That's terrible. Cole, I love you, and I believe that you deserve to win no matter what. No one knows what Cole is. Being a good sport and coming up. Her name was Nicole. Because I'm the champ. And to come up and even have the balls to come up against the champ. You deserve to win. I don't think Olympians talk like that. Nicole, how do you feel? It's a lot tougher than you think. My mouth is still dry and I still spit a ball of dough out in a nap. We'll save that for eBay. What would you say about your competitor? I think she was pretty impressive today. She's like a beast. She deserved to win. I'll concede. I will take the silver. It's like watching a hyena.
Feeding on us. Well, I was starving. That didn't get me breakfast. What did you want for me? I was starving. He used to eat a lot of natural food until he learned most people die of natural causes. Sean, what do you have today? Mike.
Today, I've got a really great show for you. This is one that everyone can watch. It's on MTV, so you know it's got to be good. Oh, yeah. This is going to be bad. It's a show called From G's to Gents, Mike. Look at Ashley. She can't believe it. She can't believe it. I don't even watch this show. It's so stupid. It's so ghetto and stupid. Even she doesn't watch it. Watch the entire MTV. I don't watch this. Wow. Now back to the Mikey show. Mike likes to pause the TV. He likes to pause the TV. Inappropriate thing. Come look. Random. Weird. I mean. I will pause the TV when I see something that I think that we all need to acknowledge. Oh, my God. I'm like, really? I'm just kidding. I'm like, really? A picture of a dog looking over its shoulder. He looks crazy. Well, yeah. Well, he's a little...
And he wants to show you how he feels about you. Showing you the backside. So that's all. I wish we could take pictures with the TiVo. Welcome back. It is 829. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Jamie. Jamie. Well, he's a daddy again. His wife gave birth to their second child yesterday. Wow. This is not good news. Our friend lights out Sean Merriman has to go back to the doctor to have his knee looked at again. He is still in a lot of pain and is not practicing. Wow. A lot of pain from... Well, he had knee surgery in the off season. And, you know...
Has been at practice and hasn't played in the preseason games. Right. But he's still in a tremendous amount of pain and has to go back. Really? And find out what's going on. That's not good. Yeah. I hope it's not. Oh, man. Don't even say it. I know, I know. Don't even say it. I hope it's not serious. Mike, don't say it. I hope it's good. Don't say it, Mike. Good prognosis. Yes. What the heck? Speaking of good prognosis. Oh, yeah. No, Jenny. No. We do a segment. It's over when I'm good. We do a segment. It's called Tough Love with Eddie. It is called that. You know, the idea is that Eddie does not partake in, you know, placating people. Well, he's rude is what you're trying to say. That's unnecessary. That's what you're saying, basically. You couldn't be more off-base, lady. Really? Yeah, really. Okay. I'm about truth.
Eddie's about tough love because sometimes tough love actually leads to healing. It never does. Some people are into timeouts. Some people are into spanking. You get it? Got it? Good. Tough love it is. Tough love. Our first letter reads, Dear Eddie, my wife is driving me nuts. She complains about everything. I've been married for just over five years and I feel like I can't do anything right. The other night she got real upset at me because I made dinner and put rosemary. On the chicken. She freaked because I'm supposed to know that she hates rosemary. And now I apparently don't mow the lawn correctly. Oh, no. I'm just pulling my hair out. How do I make this woman happy? I just wish that she would stop complaining about everything. That's P1 Adam. Dear wishing impossible. Make your way your troubles at the bar. That was sad. Look, bro, welcome to marriage. Yeah, this is what you signed up for. You never make her happy. That's how they're genetically built. It's science. It's science. I don't make the rules. So she had the nerve to complain about the food on her plate that you made her or the lawn that you cut. That's fine.
Here's a simple solution. Handcuff her to the lawnmower and say, you can come back into the house when you cut the lawn to my specifications. Well, I can't cuff her. That's definitely an option. No, it should not be an option. After that, chain her up to the stove like that movie Black Snake Moan. Black Snake Moan. Why would I be? Black Snake Moan. You chain her to the stove and tell her... No, I don't think that was... Did she say Eddie Murphy? No. And then did she correct herself and say Lionel Richie? Lionel Richie. It's a Lionel Richie movie. I'm sorry, Lionel Richie. What the heck is going on? One of the Commodores. One of the Commodores. Weren't they dancing on the ceiling? Anyway, after you chain her up to the stove, you can tell her she can be freed once she makes that pot pie correctly. Oh, my God. She'll get the hint. She'll get the hint. All right. In reality, my advice for you.
is to not throw a penny in the wishing well. Throw a grand, okay? Okay. Which disguise the same thing. Was that necessary? I mean, I'm just sitting here. Wish away, little guy. I mean, I hope it comes true, but I have a feeling those Bigfoot hunters have a better chance of capturing your wife than she does of changing. Just working out the kinks, Eddie. Come on. Boom goes dynamite. Kinks in her stove chain. There's no changing anyone. Samuel L. Jackson. IMDB'd it, so. Next letter reads. Dear Eddie. Oh, yes. Don't get me wrong. I really love my husband. There's one thing that really drives me crazy. He's very lazy when it comes to his toenails. Sean, relax. Sean, relax. Relax. Let me handle this. I'm an expert.
Says here, he never, and never's all in capital letters, he never cuts them. It's like he's got daggers taped to each toe. Wow. When he moves his feet at night in bed, it literally shreds my calves. Oh, that's disgusting. Says here, I'm a germaphobe just like Sean, and I'm really concerned that he's going to cut me one night. The bacteria from his nails will get into my bloodstream. I'll have to go into a hyperbaric chamber or something like that to stop the infection. Eddie, how can I give him a chance to change his ways and trim those nails on a regular basis? Help me, Oracle. Signed P1 Jenna. Dear the Captain and Toenail. Toenail. You get it? Sounds like Toenail. Toenail. Captain and Toenail. First off. You don't need to act like a full-blown, paranoid, schizophrenic like Sean. No! I have to agree with that. And think that if your husband happens to brush up against you in bed, that you're going to get sick. It just doesn't work that way, okay? You're not going to bleed from the eyes and the ears. Are you listening, Sean? Sorry, Sean. You're going to be just fine. Dude, you don't know. Sean, I do know that toenails do not give you Ebola, you nutbag.
Yeah, exactly. Thank you. It could get into your bloodstream. No, it does. We can't. I mean, so your husband likes to go au naturel. I mean, don't we all at some point? Au naturel. Au naturel. I think we all like that at some point. You know, if you think about it, long toenails are actually a benefit. What? Yeah. With long toenails, you can moonlight as an assassin. What are you saying? specializes in killing podiatrists. An assassin that wears sandals? Like, what? You ever think of that in Turkey? I mean, really think about this for a minute. It's just free money waiting to happen. Yeah, think about it. Why should I bother thinking about it? You consider it. You don't rule anything out. Okay. With long toenails, you can also give your hands a break and run your feet down a chalkboard. Not bad. Not bad. Really? Not bad. It's obvious that the pluses outweigh the minuses. No, it's not obvious. So just relax and enjoy that dirty flesh wound as you sleep. Hey, that's horrible, stupid advice. Excuse you. I mean, I'm just saying. Who's the expert here? I'm just saying. I want to make a special notation about this next email. Oh, no. What's that? I had to flatten it out because it appears that it was at first.
scrunched up and thrown in the trash can, and then Eddie retrieved it from the trash can, straightened it out, and gave it to me. I am going to help everybody, Mike. I don't discriminate. I don't discriminate against anyone. I want everybody to be healed. So let's please a little decorum, sir, and read away. Should I just read as is? As is. As it was intended. I'm nervous. Eddie, what's up, dude? My chick just... It's a run-on sentence, so I can't... I understand. If you want me to put my own... No, no, no. I don't want your spin. Eddie, what's up, dude? My chick just told me. You said you was Mexican, homie. What's up with that? That was one sentence. It says, how come you hate on the Broncos, bro? We beat San Diego in the Super Bowl, Holmes, in 97. So what's up, dude? Are you afraid to say you're Mexican or what? All these things are... Will you get fired off the Chargers? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Is that a joke? Will you get fired off the Chargers? Will you get fired off the Chargers? What's up with the Denver game, dude? Let's bet. Anything you want for real, Holmes. Anything you want for real, Holmes. This next sentence is a part of the email. Lest you think it was a separate email.
Hey, dude, I never had Krispy Kreme, so it's all good, bro. You're cool. It's not signed. That's unfortunate. It's not signed. That is unfortunate. Eddie, any advice? Yeah. Take a second. I'm ready. Dear Horchata face. I mean, that doesn't sound clever. I mean, that doesn't fit. I love it. You don't think this guy has a cinnamon rice drink in his face right now? They are delicious. It sounds delicious. Eddie, I don't know what to tell you. I don't know what to tell you. It's to the point where I can't even point out the obvious anymore. I know it. I know it. Okay, well, how about will I beg you to stop calling me homie face? Make you happy? I mean, there. I've given you everything I own. Are you happy? Call them homie a lot. Mike! I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do.
How about this one? Dear clearly illiterate face. It's all I've got. I don't know what else. I don't know how else to help you. I mean, he's not totally illiterate. I don't know. I don't know what else to do. I don't know how to help him and help you at the same time. The rice drink fits. Listen, dude. Listen, please, guys. Allow me to speak to him directly. Listen, guy. I don't hate the Broncos. I did say they're going to suck this year. I called you horchata face. I'm sure you did. And for that, I am sorry. Even though you know as well as I do that you're drinking one right now. That's fine. There's nothing wrong with that. And by the way, you did it. Hold on. I'm sorry for that. I'm sorry for that. By the way, you didn't beat San Diego in the Super Bowl, you Elway face. Okay, I'm good. I'm good. I'm all right. I'm all right. I'm all right. Oh, boy. Hold on. Hold on. Like a horse. You beat the Packers in San Diego. That's right. That's what happened. Oh, no. Same difference.
You are a bad fan. And by the way, the Super Bowl was in 98. It was the 97 season. Why am I even explaining this? Why am I taking my time? That's true. Correct. I am Mexican. Yes, I think that Krispy Kremes are overrated. And your favorite football team is overrated as well. I think we get it. Yes, I am done. And he is now. He can now feel free to move about the Roach Coach. All right. Thank you very much. Hey, you don't know he's in a Roach Coach. You don't know that. Hey. Sky. Hey. Can you hear it coming up? Coming up Washington Street? No. It's a sound of healing. Oh, boy. You're welcome, Sam. The Mikey Show continues on The Rock. Another priceless improv from Debit MasterCard. Fresh sandwich. The Rams, Steven Jackson, has ended his whole life.
He's back. He can now be considered first round. Well, you know that and there's keeper leagues, you know, where you get to keep one guy from your team last year and all those keeper league guys were like freaking out. Do I keep Steven Jackson? I kept Keenan. I kept Keenan McArdle. I don't know why you would. I just, you know, want to make sure that nobody even blinked. Wow. I don't think he's even on the roster. So, Double check. You showed them, Mike. Metallica has a single coming out today. Yep. What is it called? Let me see. Interesting. Putrid epic. It's called The Day That Never Comes. Really? It's seven minutes and 56 seconds long. And he just threw his hands up like what? Do they hate the radio?
Do you not want to be on the radio? That's fine. I will explain. I think it has something to do with their age. I think it does. I think it's like, God, back in the 70s or something, you know? Like, no one knows this. And I don't think that they know that, like, young, you know, people. Yeah. Short attention span. Yes. They're not into, like, they don't know about Deep Purple. So we're not looking for the next stairway to heaven? No. No. Because they don't, they're like, you know. Songs don't get played on the radio. Yeah. An eight minute song is about six minutes too long. Yeah. And that was all seeing anger was. I mean, the shortest one was like seven minutes. They were long. Yeah. They were super long. Yeah. And Lars said that the rest of the CD isn't much shorter than that. That's about the, you know, eight minutes is kind of around. Okay. Cut 16. This is not three, four minute little ditties. These are pretty much all of them are quote epics. Most of them are seven, eight minutes. One at six, you know, but it's that time. 45 minutes. Is he doing a character of Lars? Yeah, he's imitating Lars. It's journeys. It's like all these different places and different musicals, landscapes and all that stuff. And this is kind of what these songs do. Yeah, it takes you into like a different realm. It's groovy. Well, there it is.
Do we have the song in the system? I don't know. They said it was released to radio today. Say it again. It's the day that never comes. I think we're doing a big thing today where we played at 11 o'clock. Oh, go ahead and play it. Go ahead and play it. Ruin it, ruin it, ruin it. Just go ahead. If it had been here, I wouldn't have known that and I'd have played it. Oh, my God. Play it. That's some Billy and Joe. Play it. Thank you, Seth, Shauna. Shauna should thank you for that. She is freaking out. Oh my gosh. You guys, I'm not kidding. You guys. Seriously, Mikey? That's not funny. Actual quote from her. Many times over. She's... desperately trying to get through right now. Yeah. But can't. Why? Well, she can't because... Gas Monkey. I'm here. Listen to the honks. The Gas Monkey is in PB right now. Yeah, yeah. Dude, I'm just chilling at Margarita Rocks right now. That's not what we wanted you to do. That's cool, man. We want you to be in the Rock 105.3 van looking for people with Mikey Show P1 Army bumper stickers in their car. Dude, you gonna hit up Plum Crazy after this?
Hey, Gas Monkey, D.C., anybody with a sticker? I'm going to have to go up to the bar. It's happy hour right now. Happy hour right now? That's how Margarita Rocks does it. Oh, really? 9 a.m. happy hour? We're going to call it reverse happy hour. All right. Hold on. I got something to my side. Oh, my God. Hold on. Cop, cop, cop. Oh, great. You are so busted. Everybody just be cool. Just pretend like you're choking. My dog is choking. It's a teacup puddle. Hey, guys. Okay, I got something. Okay. Just got him pulled over. Hold on. Oh, this looks like a work truck. Interesting. What kind of work truck? I don't know if I can say what it is. It's marijuana. It looks like the Department of San Diego something. Okay. Okay. Very concise. Can you pull the person over and... Yeah, go up to their car, dance for them, and show them the bananas. I'm dancing in the street right now. That's not safe. We've told you that. Don't do that in the street. Wait, Garnett, Rand, where you at? Whoa, whoa, hold on. Oh, a truck. Sorry. He's going to get killed. I can hear the truck go by. There's a sidewalk for a reason, Rob. Yeah, I know. And that's why I don't use it.
Think about it. All right, go up. Go into the car. It's the worst. All right, all right. I got the P1 out. Oh, this is a pretty one-one P1. He was at the sticker strike. Can we get him a phone? Yes. He didn't want to understand. Yes. Yeah, let me get him on. I got the winner phone here. Very well-known P1. He was at the sticker strike. What's your name, sir? P1 Predator. P1 Predator. How are you? Doing good. You driving your work truck right now? Yes, I am. Right on. How long you had that sticker on your truck? The day, well, the Monday after the sticker strike. Right on. Nice. Right on. How'd you get it? Went out to the sticker strike. I grabbed a couple extra for each one of my vehicles that I drive in. Good man. Smart. Nice. Well, what do you think of the gas monkey? Is he standing there before you now? Yes, he is. He almost got ran over a little while ago. Yeah. Well, we're hoping still. Yeah, I bet he did.
Did he do a little dance for you? Oh, yeah. He's dancing. Oh, good. Good. Sorry about that. Do you see the... There goes the moonwalk. There goes the moonwalk. Monkey moonwalk. It's a monkey moonwalk. Signature move. And is he holding all those bananas? Oh, yeah. He has the bananas in hand. All right. Go ahead and take one of the bananas. And I want you to pull the sticker off and read the amount. Come on, $250. Come on. Come on. $250. Yeah! Victory is finally his. Very nice. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a $250 gas card winner. That feels good. Dude, he's got all those vehicles. It's going to come in handy. That's nice. Where's the gas monkey? There he is. Hey, gas monkey, good job. Yeah, yeah, I'm driving traffic right now. Okay, okay, great. Get out of the street. It's a guy in a monkey suit. All right, thank you very much, P1 Predator.
Thank you very much, Mikey. You're very welcome. Enjoy that $250 gas card. Wow. I will. Thank you, brother. So cool. Tomorrow is the last day of the gas monkey. That's it. Excuse me. That's it. Excuse me. Gas monkey, great job. Come on home. All right. I'll be back after some beers. Okay. There he is. That's the gas monkey. Oh, well, then I support that. All right. Well. I thought that we were going to play that. My plan was, because I had gotten all these Metallica emails from Shauna. What did she say? Well, I thought, I guess I didn't read it very carefully. You didn't read it. I didn't. I saw Metallica and new album. I was like, oh, she probably wants us to play like a new song or something. Then you should. And so I came in here fully, you know, ready to play an epic. Yeah, I mean, it's pretty exciting stuff. Yeah, yeah. I'd love to get a little taste. I would like to as well.
Huh. So... Yeah, maybe you just should. Maybe I should just play it. Fine, you could probably just play it. Let me see. Let's see what happens. Let's see here. Let's see if I can find one. What do you got in there, Mike? I'm trying to find their new song. Is it in there? The Day That Never Song. Is this it? I've heard that, though. Yeah, I've heard that. It's already come out on an album. Yeah, it's true. What if it's this? Oh, I've heard that one. Oh. It's a good tune, though, too. Well, maybe it's great. Why didn't she let us play it? I want to play it. Yeah. She's racist. That's why. Because she doesn't like Mexicans. Is that why? Yes. I'm Mexican. Eddie's half Mexican. But I thought the record was full for the day. We'll take something off and put that in because that one deserves to be in. This is it. This is it. Already sounds smooth. Good. You have? Yeah. You've heard of the new record? Well, no. It sounds like Bleeding Me. They're just like, they're having to do old material now. It's a cover. Well, I guess if you do that many records, you start to...
Repeat. Well, I guess you've already heard it then. Okay. I just called Shauna's office. Oh, she... What's the deal? Shauna's not at work yet. What about her cell phone? Let's try her cell phone. Try her cell. You'd think she would be here, but... I wonder if we should do some sort of game where we see what's going on. For the record. Put something on the record. Put it on there. Her name is SKY. It was Jokies, Shawna. Jokies. We joke around here. We're friends. That's right. We just joke around. These are all just jokes. Why are you taking it so seriously for crying out loud, Shawna? It's just a joke already. Oh, guys, I'm sorry. I was listening to Cantor. I don't think he's on the air anymore, Shawna. What? Did you go over to his house? What happened to Berger and Prescott? Who? Who is that? What the heck? Wow. Those dudes are awesome. Are they? Well, I can't find it, so. Well, that's garbage. That's garbage. We should have the right. She knows. She knows us too well. Yeah, I looked in the log. It's not in there. It isn't? No. What's a log? Ladies and gentlemen, this is our program director, Shawna. Hi, Shawna. Ladies and gentlemen. Big fan. Hello. A big fan here. Big fan.
Big fan. Hi. First time, long time. Yeah, first time, long time. Shauna, how are you? I am good. How are you? We're good. We're good. Where are you located? Right now? Yeah. I'm in the bathroom at my house. Okay. All right. Fair enough. Fair enough. I'm the fan. Are you listening to the radio? Of course I'm listening to the radio. Super, super. Do we have... the new Metallica single here in the studio anywhere? I wish we did. What's the deal? But they're not giving it to us until 11 this morning. Really? Yeah. How weird. But if we come across it before then, I will make sure that you get it. Well, Zed, I have a question. Because that meant, Mikey, you're not going to play it. Question. What if Zed can find it in his 23-year-old Internet ways. I would love it. Cool. And I would encourage that you play it as much as you could. Cool. Yeah. Well, Zed's good at that stuff. Yeah. He's a pirate. Yeah, he's good at that stuff. He's a pirate. And if we get Zed and Shawnee working on it, we could probably... What kind of pirate? Find something. He's always crying. If you can, I would be really surprised because they're being like very... We're trying not to let the cat out of the bag.
But I think if you could, I would absolutely love it. Yeah, we don't want Napster to get it. We don't want it to get loose on Napster. Oh, man. Who would have thought that that would be a hysterical joke in 2008? All right, Shauna. We're going to look around. All right. Good luck. See what we can do. Thank you. Get to work. My goodness. Ladies and gentlemen, our text number is 35255701053. When we come back, we will play you audio of a news story about an 85-year-old woman pulling a gun on an intruder. This dude has been listening to us since the Dallas days. What are you doing in San Diego? What I do in San Diego? This is where I'm from. I did federal time, so they sent me out there. What did you do? A couple banks. Bank robberies. You robbed a bank? Oh, my goodness. Hey, well, listen. Well, congratulations, bro, for turning your life around. I think that that's fantastic. Hey, maybe later on you can help me cash a check. I'll drive. Hang on, Sean. Hang on a second, Sean. Now back to the Mikey Show. Rock 105.3. It's 9-11. Singer Ricky Martin is now a daddy after his surrogate gave birth to twin boys. Baseball umpires and management signed an agreement that will allow the sport to start using instant replay to determine calls on the field. My goodness. Mentioned it earlier when it was breaking news. Gene Upshaw.
Has passed away. He was the what of the players union? The head of the NFL Players Association and NFL Hall of Famer. He had cancer, right, Eddie? Pancreatic cancer, correct. So he finally lost the battle to pancreatic cancer. They made an announcement earlier this morning. We don't know who's going to step in now. Daryl from the office has copped a plea. And what is it going to be? Well, so we told you the other day that Daryl, the warehouse manager from the NBC show, the office was arrested in June for possession of meth and ecstasy. Oh, we knew they were doing something weird in that warehouse. We knew it. Him and Roy. Hello. Duh. And then also for having coke and meth in his blood system at the time of his arrest. Food life.
So yesterday he copped a plea, like Mikey said. He entered a tentative guilty plea. And basically the deal is he must go to drug counseling. And if he completes the program within 18 months, then his guilty plea will be withdrawn and dismissed. Wow. Nothing ever happened. My. Right? You want to hear the story about the 85-year-old lady? Yes. Cut 15. Hold on one second. I was working on that Metallica thing. Oh, are you finding it? Are you still looking? I got a very interesting link from Eddie, and I'm listening to this song, and I'm not sure because there's no lyrics. Well, they say that a lot of these intros on these songs are really, really long. It's not the YouTube Metallica thing, is it? It's from YouTube, yeah. Because there's one that they're showing on YouTube, but it's just like 15 seconds long. No, this one's seven minutes and six seconds. That'd be it? I don't know.
Yeah, they say. Oh, is that the saying it's a bootleg cover version? Yeah, it's like some guy who got the guitar riff. Oh, gotcha. Yeah. Close, though. Yeah. Okay. All right, so let's play this one. Lita Smith, an 85-year-old great-grandmother, discovered a side door of her house had been kicked in. She calmly grabbed her loaded pistol to stop the intruder right in his tracks. Good looking. Turn around. Blew his hat. Freaking hat. So you pulled the hammer back. I was ready. The intruder was caught red-handed in Lita's bedroom. He was attempting to steal her jewelry. I said, what are you doing in my house? Blue is baloney straight to hell. I had the gun on him then. I had it on him before he turned around. Trooper Brian Burden told us Lita Smith ordered the burglar to call 911 from the phone in her living room. Then she said, hand the phone to me.
She told 911 to send the state police. And when they arrived, they were in for a little surprise. She had him toned out on the floor, laying face down with his hands out. So did you make him do that? Yeah. What did you say to him? I stood there behind the couch with a gun on him. I said, move. I said, lay down on the floor, turn your face away from me, put your arms out, spread your legs. I'll tell you what I did. I stuck the barrel of the gun in his mouth, and I said, suck on that. I said, how's that taste, Tarzan? It tastes real good? How do you like that there, cowboy? I made a man bite on the curb. Yep. I made a man bite on the curb, and I went, hi-yah. You know what I did? What'd you do, Grandma? I put a bunch of whipped cream on him. You did? Yeah. Put lipstick on his lips. That's weird. And I took... photographs of me laughing and pointing at him. Then I videotaped it. I put it on the YouTube. And the picture of me laughing at him is my new Facebook picture. And people are writing on my wall and they're putting, man, that is funny. And I put, I took mascara and I wrote the word gay in his cheek and I pointed to him.
Well, I mean, he came in my house. Well, he did, but I don't know that you need to do all that other stuff. It's good, clean fun. Oh, wow. Why don't you bite on that lead there, Buckaroo Banzai? Banzai. That tastes good. How do you like me now? She's something else. Let's see. So, Kobe Bryant, man, he is so popular in China. He is actually more popular than Yao Ming is there. Get out of here. His jersey sells like two times the amount that Yao does. That's so weird. Shocking. Cut 13. Do you have a sense for how big you are here? I don't mean height-wise, but I mean popularity-wise. You know what? I don't know. I mean, I've been out here a few times, and they've always embraced me. But for some reason, this summer, it's kind of been sort of an explosion. You know, I can't really go anywhere.
No, it was a guy selling Kobe beef on a stick. Some people don't realize. Getting all excited because they thought. Time for the YouTube. Michael Phelps is such a big deal right now with all the records that he's broken and everything. And so obviously a lot of people are really into him and they really like him. And I think that it kind of brings out a lot of patriotism in a lot of Americans. That's great. And some people like to express themselves in different ways. You know, some people. you know, do poetry or some people write or some people sing. Some people sing. And this is an example of someone singing about Michael Phelps. Cut 32. Michael Phelps, you swim away with my heart. Michael Phelps, you swim away with my heart. I'm joining the pandemonium. I don't care where you stand on the podium. Just give me your hand to hold.
Whether you win bronze, silver, or gold. You swam away with love. You swam away with love. I want to save the very beginning of that drop for whenever we talk about him. Oh, Michael Phelps. Oh, my God. Eddie got the dork chills. Wow. Oh, man. That is awesome. And I love the background shakes. How do you put your friend and say, here's what I need you to do?
Here's the deal. No, you're messing. Hold on. Pause it. You're messing. Pause. Don't tape anymore. You're messing it up. You're messing it up. It's bum, bum, bum. Okay. Do we have it? Okay. Okay. And on the end. Stop taping. Stop it. You're messing it up. Stop. Oh, my God. Four hours. They get that. Oh, my God. Stop it. You swam away with my heart. Oh, my God. Michael fell away with my heart. I told you we're in C minor. Okay, I think I have it. Can you give me again? Can you give me the key again? Missy, stop. Don't yell at me. Don't yell at me. Don't yell at me or I'll go. Can't we all just get along? Yeah, but she's yelling. I'm not ready. Nice recovery.
That's too much. I can't ever hear that again. I'm serious. Is she auditioning for Wicked? Wow. So there's three of them? Yeah. The backup singer and then the bum bum girl. How dare you. Genius. I'm not kidding, Missy. You're bumming me out. Oh, my God. You're yelling at me. Why did you get to sing the lead? I wanted to sing the lead. I wrote it. I wrote the song. My voice is obviously better. All I wanted you to do is just do the bum bum. Get it together, ladies. You're singing. Please.
Stop calling me. Are you doing that? It's okay if you do it, but just do it. Your father's trying to take a nap right now. Where are we supposed to do it then, Mom? Go to Missy's house to record it. The acoustics are better in my room. Don't sing it soft. Your father's going to wake up. Mom, we're recording. Your father is. I stuck a nitro and glycerin in his mouth. Oh, my God. Well, he's upset for the singing of the Michael Phelps. From the top. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. A little nugget of gold. That is so great, man. That is priceless. Dude, and I got to say.
The other thing that was priceless about it was the dead pause and Eddie going, oh my God. Right? That was pretty awesome. Best reaction ever. I can't take it. It was the best reaction ever. That was too much. That was too much. Holy cow. Michael Phelps' dad, apparently, they are not talking. They haven't talked for like two weeks. Yeah, it's really weird. You know, when his dad was asked about. calling his son, and if he's called and talked to his son since winning all the gold medals, he said basically no, he hasn't, and he's sure that his son is really busy right now, and it's not about the dad, it's about the son, and he watched it all on TV. Cut five.
Now the world with eight Olympic gold medals. Now mom Debbie Phelps is opening up to extra about Michael's relationship with his estranged father who hasn't spoken to his son in weeks. Everyone makes choices. What's the choice that was made at this point? Someday the meeting of the minds will occur, I'm sure. And there will be a nice discussion. I don't understand. I guess the parents divorced in 92 and the dad four years ago went to Athens to watch his son swim but didn't go this year. For the Olympics. Oh, Michael Phelps. And so you know how we just heard... I don't want the Olympics to end. So you know how we just heard right there, that clip of... The Michael Phelps girls? No, not that clip. I heard it. The one of Michael Phelps' mom. You swam away with my heart. So... Let's see. Oh, no. How can we work like...
Swimming. There's got to be a way to work swimming in there. You stole my heart. It isn't good. Like, what about... Butterfly kisses. Butterfly kisses. You butterfly kissed me. No, I don't like that. Try breaststroke. Okay. You breaststroke. No, that's totally dirty. That's totally dirty. Totally dirty. It's so gross. It's so gross. Although... Let's see. See, there's the breaststroke. What about freestyle? You freestyled away with my heart. He's just nerdy. Maybe. I am? The I am, maybe? You I amed away with my... That's stupid. Shut up. Sally, you're the worst. Who let that dude in? Michael Phelps. You're covered in chlorine. No. I got it. Michael Phelps.
You're so much better than the Chinese. Okay, let's put this top two. Let's try this one from the top. Oh, Michael Feld, you kick those Japanese. He doesn't really kick them. He flints. Oh, Michael Feld, those chaps will not get us. You're stupid. You're not getting us. Oh my gosh, Missy farted. Missy, that was so gross. That's not what she meant. Missy, I said I just wanted you to give me what kiwi are singing in.
Misty, stop it. Seriously, my dad's going to wake up. My dad's going to wake up. Don't do that. Misty, that's so gross. We're never going to get this song done. What key is that? That's seriously the gross key. G flat. Okay, I'm going to take it. From the top. Microphone of Germany. No, he didn't. No, but he ate, like, three sandwiches. He ate it a lot. Three sandwiches. It's a lot. Oh, my God. I have to chew it up afterwards. You guys, it stinks in here. I take a lot of Starbucks. You do? Yeah, it gives me the poop. So gross. Try using soy next time. Soy. That's not least, soy. Can you give me what key we're singing in? Can you give me what key we're singing in? It's the key of fart. Be for real. Okay, be flat. Be fat.
There it is. You farted again? That was you. Don't blame me. That was you. That was me. It was me. It was me. It was me. Total and Tartino's pizza rolls. This is the Mikey Show. Okay, get a little gayer. And Ashley. That's me. Don't take the retarded Juliette Lewis. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. I like that song. It's a departure for them. It is. Is that Robert Trujillo? Who is singing? There's a lot new step back. It is 9.35. PETA has announced that they want to buy one of the SeaWorld theme parks and set all the animals free. Usain Bolt breaks the world record again and wins gold in the 200 meter. PETA's most known for their bread. It's good if you put hummus on it. No, that's different. You gotta toast it. They're different. Sandwich or something? You can do it however you want, but it's best if you toast it with hummus. Let's see.
Would you like to hear Boston Rob's new song? What? I got a new song? Another song? I can't handle it. And his song is about Michael Phelps. Oh, really? Hold on, hold on, hold on. It does not compete with that last one. So, Rob basically wrote the song about... The fact that Michael Phelps eats a lot. Wait. A lot? That's an understatement. He eats a ton of food. That's an interesting way to go about it. Yeah. He didn't swim away with your heart. Yeah. Well, he did. Oh, wow. He eats like three egg sandwiches and then hash browns and grits. 42 Kit Kat bars. That's right. I heard. I read it in a book. A couple of pancakes. French toast. French toast. A goat.
And so it got Rob into a musical mood. Wait. Um, what? What is this? Ladies and gentlemen, this is waffle number five. Okay. Three, four pies. Mike Phelps getting hungry. It's breakfast time. I'm starving. Can't have to eat a foreigner. So let's get the guys some food before we gotta call the coroner. Eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat. A little bit of chicken that is fried. What did that get in there? It's on the board. Put it in there. That's how it got in there. I don't remember that. What made you choose Mambo number five? Well, that's my ringtone, so. The original. Wait. That's great. Awesome. That is crazy. I can't take any more Michael Phelps. Oh, boy. I know it. Oh, my God. Have you seen the video of that?
Is there video that accompanies her singing that? Because I want to see where that was done. Yeah, I mean, I must have, but I don't recall what was on it or anything. That is so funny. Holy moly. mistress so we in the california legislature passed a bill to protect the blind from hybrid cars come on and thank you thank you thank you thank you skinner well you guys know i support this you guys know you're a new supporter and we appreciate all your support Your mom is really something else. She really is. She's always on the forefront. She got the ball rolling. First, she got rid of coloring food. That's right. It's a work in progress. Coloring food is fun too. That's where you get these coloring books. You get a blank piece of food. It's a whole other issue. Which is equally important. She was almost run down by a Prius. She's not blind.
No, but she could see that there was an issue at hand. Neither is Mike. He was almost run down. Well, I wasn't almost run down. I was frightened. You were frightened. And the fear created anger. And it's weird because it was just parked. It was just parked. It upset me, though. I was like, whoa, what are you doing? Yeah, so basically the bill says that, you know, they would establish a committee to study the issue and to recommend ways that these cars can make more noise for the seeing impaired. And now all we need is the governator to sign it for it to go through. Lindsey Lohan's text message to Billy Bush horrifies Michael Phelps' mom. Dude, Billy Bush and Lindsey Lohan. Like BFs. Dude, they are BFFs. I guess so. They really are. I mean, he talks about... I mean, you, Mikey, and Billy Bush got into a fight over Lindsey Lohan. Right. He really, like, I felt was showing some sort of, like... preferential treatment. Oh, definitely. And so I just, all I did was ask, hey man, now you guys, you would do the same thing if it was any celebrity, right? What are you, look at you, Mikey, what are you? I think she'll get an award for this picture. I was like, I was, I was asking. It's so strange.
It was very weird, the relationship they have. But so basically, Billy Bush is interviewing Michael Phelps' mom for Access Hollywood. And during the interview, Billy Bush starts texting Lindsay Lohan, asking her if there's anything that she would like to say about Michael. Which is like, you're in the middle of the interview and you're texting Lindsay Lohan. Very professional. Like, what the? But anyway, so Lindsay wrote back. And Billy Bush decided to show the text message to Michael's sweet little mom. The text says, quote, tell him I think he's effing, using the whole word, amazing, and I want to meet him. And when Michael Phelps' mom read that, she actually screamed out loud. and started telling Billy Bush to delete it because I guess she was so, like, offended by the language. I mean, the whole thing is just so inappropriate. This was Billy Bush on The Mikey Show. All I'm saying is, you know, a relentless attack on a 21-year-old girl, I just, I mean, I try to, you know. Hey, listen, Billy. I understand. I understand. But you also have to realize that most of the American public is going. Look at you.
Look at you going after me. I mean, what are you trying to do? I'm asking you. No, no, dude. What I'm doing is making an observation that I hear you defending Lindsay Lohan, which is interesting. You hear a tone in my voice. Absolutely. And do you not think every listener listening right now hears the same tone in your voice? You got upset with me. Yeah. Yeah, for pointing out the obvious. Look at you. Look at you. Look at you. Look at you. I got upset because I was like, well, what do you mean? I didn't think I was attacking him. I didn't think I was coming after him. Well, you weren't. We're kind of saying the facts. Oops. We're kind of saying the facts, and then when she responds with, it wasn't my Coke, you got that email, and you're kind of defensive about it. then that's where we're kind of confused. Yeah, I mean, Billy, you got the email and you even thought to yourself, what are you... Yeah. Mikey, take a breath. No, you take a breath, dude. I say, Billy, you take a breath, bro. You're the one that was freaking out that I was asking you kind of normal questions. There it is. Wow. That was a very explosive episode on the Mikey Show. Yeah, who knew that the Billy Bush...
interview would be so full of excitement. He hasn't been on since then. Oh, that's weird. I ask him almost daily. I text him almost every day. He's too busy with the text from Lindsay to read his ears. He never gets my text. So popular. Iraqi and U.S. negotiators have drafted an agreement that would see American troops leave Iraq as soon as June 30th. Yeah, this is very interesting. How many? Well, they say that troops would start to leave Iraqi cities June the 30th. 2015? No, 2009. Yeah, so it's less than a year from now. And then they say that the Iraqi government has pushed for a specific date, likely by the end of 2011. By that date, all U.S. forces would be out of the country.
So very interesting. You know, the president still has. That don't sound like 60 to 90. What does that mean? That don't sound like 60 to 90 days from the election, which is what both Obama and Hillrod said that they were going to do. But this has nothing to do with them. This is the Bush administration. I got you. So this really, so you can't. I got you. I got you. But what I'm saying is, is that they're not going to leave. They're not going to leave. They're not going to get all those troops out of there. They can't. There's so many. Yeah, but they said they're going to, you know, according to this draft, if it goes down the way they want it. I believe I can. Oh, no. Now this is just going to mess things up. Clear it out. Hold on. Okay. This is going to mess things up, Mike. He never knows what he's talking about. He knows what's going on. No, he doesn't. President Bush. Here's the official word, Mike. Clear it up. I've decided to make Iraq the 53rd state. No.
The 53rd state of America is Iraq. Wait a minute. Aren't there 50 states? How many states are there? What else is there? This is 53, Iraq. Are you counting Poland again? We've invaded Poland. We have not. We threw our missiles there. We hid our WMDs in Poland. No, we did not. We hid WMDs in Poland? Yeah, that's what we're doing. Wow. Congratulations, Iraq. You're part of a winner now. That's really cool. There should be a Starbucks on every corner. There already is. By June. That's what the real story is. Maybe a Chili's. I do love Chili's. That's really cool. You guys harmonize. I haven't read that. So that's the story. President Bush, thank you for coming in and explaining exactly what's going on. Well, Mikey, he got it all wrong. Let me know what's going on. The only part I heard that may slightly be wrong is I heard Applebee's, not Chili's, but who knows. Hey, where's my going away party? You sent out the invite? It's still early. How many people have said maybe? Interesting.
Wouldn't you rather know how many people have definitively said yes? Well, I know most people are saying yes because it's going to be a blowout. Wow, President Bush. President Bush says it will be the bomb. Literally. You should be careful. It's what I do. Thank you, President Bush. Holy Toledo. Seven members of the Joe Gibbs Racing Group have been suspended for cheating. Oh, my gosh. As we know in NASCAR, they're always looking for that edge. Yeah. And Joe Gibbs Racing did some stuff that NASCAR deemed unfair, and they have suspended seven members of Joe Gibbs Racing, and Tony Stewart was docked 150 championship points. Wow. So that's not good. Do they say what they did that was unfair? Like, do we know what this actual cheating is? I think they put NOS in there. Yeah.
Let's see. In Mira Mesa, a bicyclist was hit. Oh, so sad, man. Yeah, it was just really, you know, this guy was riding his bike yesterday, you know, about four o'clock. through the parking lot of this apartment complex in Mira Mesa, and he was hit and became trapped underneath the car. And the driver continued dragging the guy about 500 feet. What? finally realized that the driver was not going to come free from under the car, so the dude got out of his car and just booked it on foot. Leaving the car, and the dude trapped underneath the car. The cops say they believe they know who the driver is, and they believe that the guy may have probably tried to immediately flee to Mexico, but they're going after him and looking into it. And the guy that got hit died? Yes. What? Yes, he was declared dead at the scene. That's terrible, man.
Yeah, so obviously if anybody knows anything about this, please contact the police. In Florida, kite surfer who hit a building is improving. How did that happen? Oh, have you not seen the video? No. Oh, dude, you've got to see this video. Send me the link. It's everywhere. Seth, somebody send them the link. Yeah, you can see us anywhere. But it's pretty much so we know that. What was it? Tropical Storm... Faye. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Tropical Storm Faye came through, and this dude, I guess, is like a kite surfer. You know, he does this for fun, so he thought it would be a great idea to take his little parachute thingy-mabobber out in the winds of Tropical Storm. Pull it up, Zeth. And the winds basically pick this guy up. You see him being dragged along the beach. And then the winds pick him up again and slam him into the side of a building. Oh, yeah. Zeth, pull it up higher. Yeah, so... Dude, that is gnarly. Right? How did he not let... Why didn't he let go? Well, I think you're harnessed in. Yeah, you're harnessed into that. It's not like he's holding on. It's like he's harnessed in. He's alive.
He is alive. He suffered spinal fractures, brain swelling, broken ribs, broken ankle, and other injuries. His mom says his condition is improving and has gone from critical to serious. He has no memory of the incident. Shut up. Yeah, 28-year-old guy. What did we learn? Why would he be out in a hurricane or a tropical storm or whatever? Stay in. Stay home and take a nap. I do that all the time. I do it all the time. Did you know that these guys had their surgically removed to record this song? It is. You read that in a book, right? Rob, I read that in a book. Books have facts. Surgery too. Are you sure that was a hernia they removed? Mikey's show is on. It's about to get Term financing with above average credit through BMW Financial Services. That makes sense. That's true. Right there where she said heart, she came up out of the water and her little fishtail, you know, spun. Yeah, dolphins were swimming around her. Exactly. Yes.
And then Michael Phelps. He came out of the water, a little animated Michael Phelps. He's standing on two sea turtles. Yes. That's fantastic. 5701053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. Amanda Beard apologized for the Michael Phelps slam. Oh, Michael Phelps. It's a new thing on the menu at Denny's. Oh, is it? So, yeah, it was reported earlier this week that Michael Phelps and Amanda Beard are dating. And she was asked about it, I believe it was yesterday or the day before, on an Arizona radio show. And her initial response was, quote, ew, that's so nasty. Come on, I have really good taste. Oh, man.
Yeah, and then, of course, she started to take a lot of, you know. Sure. Everybody's in love with the guy right now. Right. So she went on to apologize yesterday and said, hey, everybody that knows me knows that I'm a jokester. Maybe I went a little far. I never meant to be rude. I'm sorry. I take responsibility for what I've had. Did not swim away with her heart. No. No. Uh-uh. In Massachusetts. Parents got a letter about the school's sex-changing custodian. Oh. Yeah, high-five that. Hey. Let's not high-five that one. No, not that one. Yeah. Next. I guess Brian has been a custodian at this elementary school. Now, hang on. Now, let's think about this. Okay. I don't want Sky to tell us yet. Okay. You know, like Michael goes to Michelle. Brienne, dude. Brienne? Bianca. Brianna? Brian becomes Brianna? Brain. That was an obvious slam on Sky because one time she was reading a news story and she accidentally called a guy named Brian Brain. She read it. Only you guys and Spaceboy would have got that. So what was it? There's beautiful transsexuals out there. Sky has real strong feelings about this.
So, yeah, this elementary school sent a letter home to the parents to let them know that they may need to explain to their children that after nine years as a custodian, Brian will be returning this new school year as Brianna. There it is. And a man in my position can't afford to be made to look ridiculous. Brianna says the school has been very supportive of the change. I beg your pardon. And in the letter that was sent home to the parents, it said, quote, the best thing to tell them is that our custodian used to be a man. She has changed her gender role and is now a woman. So the school is suggesting that the parents explain this to their elementary age children. How would you feel about that, Mike? It has a parent receiving that letter. Honey, honey, did you see this? Did you see this, babe? No, what is it? Oh, it's about one of the custodians at Jake's school. Happened. Oh, he didn't do anything bad or anything. He's just becoming a woman. How's that, babe? What do you mean? How's that at the place? I guess, you know, they'd take it off.
I mean, that's what they do. Well, for the record, Brianna has not gone through the reassignment surgery yet. It's way off. What do you mean? A lot of stitches. So hasn't actually had the surgery. How do you know? Read it in a book. How do you know? Hey, guys. Hi, guys. So that basically means that... Time to change urinal cakes. What? What? What the hell? It's so disgusting in there. I wouldn't go in there. Oh, my God. Hey, Sean, you remember that Lamont and Tonelli? Remember that meeting? They're sensitive. Yeah, they're very compassionate. Sky, were you in there? Of course I was. Eddie, were you there yet? No. A disc jockey go from being a man to a woman. No way. What? And they had to explain to the staff that he would come back as a she and would start to use the women's facilities. So they called an all-staff meeting. No. And most of us were sure we were getting fired.
Because that's what they do, you know, when they call a staff meeting and they tell you all to pack it up and go home. See you later. Or that we sold or something like that. Yeah, something big. And so there we go into the meeting. And Lamont and Tonelli were the morning DJs there. And they're our friends. And they are clowns. So funny. Clowns. The king of clowns. And, like, the guy that had to tell us was the general manager at the time. His name was John. What was his last name? Sutherland. John Sutherland. He had rock and roll under his fingernails, he said. He sure did. Oh, man. If you say that, don't you know. Yeah. Oh, Eddie. All right. It just reinforces it. And he wore a three-piece suit, you know. A rock and roll suit. And had glasses, and he said, anyway, very serious man. Picture, just try to get a visual of somebody that's probably really good at math. Yep. He was the one that had to tell us.
Now picture two clowns in the room. And Sutherland's trying to be so serious. Yeah. I want to hear that that's the deal. It was like, it was, and then what was so uncomfortable was, was like the people in the room that were trying to maintain decorum. Yes. The people in the room that aren't morning DJs. Right. That are like business people. That aren't. That aren't going to laugh and don't think it's really funny what's being said. And so they're trying to, in their silence, let the two clowns know. We don't really appreciate that. And which, by the way, makes them do it more. One of the more memorable meetings I've ever been in in my life. In my life. That was interesting. Yeah, for sure. Let's see.
Valerie Bertinelli's getting her own sitcom on TBS. What is it? She's really making a little comeback. She's going for it. She will play a single mom raising two kids who must also manage a lumber company after her husband walks out on her. Another day at a time. Yes, that's what it's called. Another day at a time. One more day. You got it, Mike. At a time. You got it. Who else was on there, though? Schneider? What other characters were there besides... Ann Romano, her daughter Barbara and, don't remember, Julie. Barbara and Julie and Ann Romano, Ms. Romano. Ms. Romano. Because it was during the time of women's liberation. Well, then they jumped the shark and brought that kid in. They did? Yeah, they brought that kid in. Was he living with them? Yeah. Don't even remember. Really annoying. Really annoying. Oliver? No. No, he was older. He was like a teen, a little smart ass. Really? Yeah.
I so don't remember. Yeah, that's when they jumped the shark, so it was like the last season. I would love to know the moment that most big shows jumped the shark. Like, when did Jefferson's jump the shark? There is a moment on every show when you know, oh, okay, that was it right there. I think you go to jumptheshark.com, they have it. The list of all of them. Yeah, there's like a website for that. Rob, do you know what the term jump the shark actually means? Where it came from? Yeah. Yeah, from Happy Days, right? Do you remember what happened? Fonzie actually jumped a shark, right? Yep. On skis. Yeah. Oh, it wasn't a motorcycle? I had to think. I was like, you know, they would have been stupid enough to actually try it. I think I've actually seen that episode. It was a good one. Yeah, they had them on, oh, here it is, jumptheshark.com. And they've got all the different shows and it tells you when it happened. Yeah, look up one day at a time. That is really cool. There's a website for everything now. There is. If you missed this segment, Of the show, probably just YouTube it four years from now and it'll be there. Yeah. The moment that one day at a time jumped the shark was when Mackenzie Phillip joined, disappeared, and then rejoined the cast. That's when they brought in that kid. Right underneath that in the vote getting was when Glenn Scarpelli joined the cast. That's him. What a cool website. I think we hit all the big stuff today. I have to tell you guys a little story. Yeah. So.
Last night they showed the race where St. Bolt broke the record, you know? And the guy that came in second who won the silver was from the Netherlands Antilles. It's a really small collection of Caribbean islands just off the coast of Venezuela. The population is only 225,000 people. They've only won one medal in their entire history. And it was for windsurfing. For a guy that wasn't even from there. He was born in the Netherlands, but moved there and got citizenship and all that stuff. So this country was going insane that they won a silver medal and all this stuff. The U.S. coaches realized that he stepped on the line, which is illegal, and was disqualified, and they took the medal away from him, and the U.S. guy got the silver. Well, did you sell that, though? Yeah, because it started with the U.S. The U.S. bronze guy was disqualified, and so the U.S. was all mad. Like, well, we're not the only ones who stepped on the line. That's when they went back and reviewed the tape and jacked over the silver medal. Mike, you should have seen, like, this poor guy. They've got their, like, flags, and they're runny, and you literally see the victory. This guy is being interviewed, you know, right after he won. Yeah, sure. He wins, and he's like, today I feel like a champion, and I want everybody in the whole world is welcome to enjoy.
celebrate my silver medal. Oh, wow. What's messed up is it's like they win. And then all this stuff goes on behind the scenes. So like Ashley said, they're running around with the flag. They're doing interviews. And they don't even know their medal has been taken away yet. And then you see them finally get the message. It's awful. And devastation. That's awful. And they show them when they find out. Literally, they had the camera on the guy who got the bronze from USA with the flag on his back. Huge smile running. Oh, they just found out that he didn't get the bronze. The face just turns. Oh, that's awful, man. It's the biggest moment of your life. And then the flag drops. Just let him keep it. For the U.S., it sucks. It's a bummer. I feel bad for the guys. But this guy, this whole country, they've won only one. You're just devastated. It's brutal. I felt so bad. It is. It's awful. That guy would have been a king there. So sad.
Sky, how was Benihana last night? Oh, my God. That's the best food on the planet. It's so good. It's the best food on the planet. It's one of those places where you eat after you're full. You're still eating. You're full 20 minutes. You've never been to Benihana? Never been. Dude, we've got to take you. We've got to take you for us. Are you kidding me? What? Dude, you would eat until you get sick. You would probably eat until you get sick. You would love it. So good, dude. It's right up your alley. So good. The guys cook right in front of you. You sit at the table. It's like a giant grill. Yeah. And the chefs are like jokesters. They're flipping around shrimp. Yeah, they make shrimp plop into their hats. Yeah. They roll an egg and they go, look, Chinese egg rolls. I like that one. Volcano out of onion. Yeah. Yeah, more. So, you know, I rarely get to go to Benihana because it's in Mission Valley, you know, and I live up in the Dito. And so we were going to a movie premiere last night in Mission Valley. So I'm like, great excuse to go to Benihana. I'm so excited. So we go and I'm learning that they kind of.
I don't know, freshen up their repertoire every once in a while, get some new jokes, some new gags, some new funny ha-has, right? So it turns out that the Boo and I end up sitting at one of these big tables, but there was only one other couple there because the other people at the reservation flaked or whatever. So it's just four of us at the table, and we're kind of chatting, a really, really nice couple. And, you know, when they give you the sauce, they give you the ginger sauce and the mustard sauce. Well, this other couple goes, oh, no mustard sauce for us, please. And I was like, oh. oh, these people are rad. I'm like, oh. This guy hates mushrooms. I'm like, oh, no mustard for me either. So, you know, the booze is the only one who gets the mustard, whatever. So we're chatting. We're, you know, having cocktails, having a fun time. And one of the new things, one of the new gags that I guess the chef has, or whatever they call him, has, you know, put on the thing. He grabs out of his cart, you know how they have all the different sauces and bottles and oils. He grabs out of his cart a yellow thing of mustard. And, you know, the yellow squeeze bottle. And I'm looking at it going, gosh, that's weird. Like, what do they put mustard on? Like, that's odd. He takes the squirt bottle. He looks at me. He, like, goes like he's throwing it at me and squeezes it. The mustard bottle.
scream at the top of my lungs in the middle of Benihana because I'm one Benihana punch in. Like an AO scream? Yes, yes. A definite AO scream in the middle of Benihana because this guy, he's throwing mustard at me right now, Mike. He is throwing mustard at me. Well, out of the top of the mustard bottle comes a string, like a yellow string that only goes far enough to barely hit me. I would have paid money to see that. Out of all the people in the whole place, they're going to pull the mustard gag on. Oh, wow. And the other guy at the table is laughing so hard at me, he's crying. And he keeps going to his wife, did you see her? Did you see her? She was all like, ah! And he's like mocking me and laughing. That is great. So watch out for that, everyone. Did you take this with good humor? Well, luckily I had a little buzz on. So after I was done screaming and freaking out, I started laughing a little bit through the tears as well. But the food was awesome. And then the movie I really enjoyed too. I went to see House Bunny. How was it? The premiere of House Bunny, which comes out on Friday. I really liked it. What about your husband?
He's my bunny. But no, it was really, really funny. I really recommend that movie. It looks funny. It is. It was like laugh out loud moments. LOL. I was LOLing all over. So funny. 570-1053 is our phone number. At the beginning and end of every show, we do open phones, so we'll just take phone calls from you. P1AO is online. Is it you? Is it you? What's happening? It's Saturday. It's two days from now. We have all these plans. Come on. You didn't even send us to save the date. Please. Kind of rude. Well, congratulations, brother. Thank you. Can I just say that I love my fiance very much? Yes. Her name is Jeanette. Cool. She's listening right now. How long have you been dating? I love you so much, Jeanette. Two years.
Two years. Yeah, two years. You guys should get married already. Yeah, and now it's going to be this Saturday. I'm, like, extremely nervous. I kind of wanted to ask Eddie how he dealt with it. I get drunk. That's a true statement. Yeah, that is a fact. That is a true statement. I think I'm going to freak out when I'm up there, you know? You won't. You won't. You won't. You won't. Yeah, you may cry, but it's all right. Yeah, best moment of your life, bro. Come on. Nice. All right, brother. Cool, guys. Thanks. Thank you. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. Oh, my gosh. No. Okay. Thank you, Quimby. Lovely and talented Missy up next. Today on the Mikey Show, she has The Lost and Found. She's going to be playing stuff you haven't heard in a long time. Oh, is she going to play the Michael Phelps song? Yes, she could be playing. Oh, Michael Phelps. Better than the new Metallica. She's still making up her vibes. One of the two. Michael Phelps will be better. Yes. Oh, Michael Phelps.
