Mikey described a frightening anxiety attack and then how an underdog American wrestler's gold-medal celebration made him cry, while the crew also marveled at both U.S. 4x100 teams dropping their batons. Comedy bits followed around Ashley's Bluetooth confusion, Boston Rob's final Gas Monkey gas-card chase and a lopsided Battle of the Sexes that Team Sass won 3-0. The staff argued bitterly over inducting P1 Paparazzi into the Hall of Fame: Mikey cited his loyalty and ability to take jokes, while Eddie, Woobie and callers said the choice rewarded repeated boundary-crossing. Guests Catherine McPhee discussed House Bunny and American Idol, Adrian Gonzalez promoted his foundation dinner and explained baseball's mental side, and a horse handicapper taught the crew how to read the paddock and racing form. They also debated Metallica's retro eight-minute single and whether Jessica Simpson had checked Tony Romo's call log after Carrie Underwood's claim, before Mikey closed with a candid testimony about alcoholism, loneliness and finding hope through Jesus.
What happened, in order
Anxiety and Olympic tears
After describing his first anxiety attack, Mikey said an American wrestler's gold-medal victory and tearful flag celebration unexpectedly made him cry.
Ashley's Bluetooth panic
Ashley left Eddie and Mikey rambling voicemails repeatedly announcing that she was on her Bluetooth, as if the headset might not carry her voice or work outside walkie-talkie range.
The last Gas Monkey
Boston Rob, dressed as the Gas Monkey, chased down P1 Tracy, danced beside his truck and let the single father pull a $50 gas card from a banana.
Metallica turns back the clock
The crew heard Metallica's eight-minute song The Day That Never Comes and argued that its deliberate 1988-style sound might be aimed at aging fans who had once accused the band of selling out.
Paparazzi enters the Hall
Mikey inducted P1 Paparazzi into the P1 Hall of Fame despite Eddie and Woobie arguing that his obsessive photos, private messages, hotline calls and surprise appearances made the honor a reward for bad behavior.
Double relay disaster
Skye recounted how both U.S. 4x100 relay teams dropped the baton in Olympic qualifying, prompting disbelief that the same basic failure eliminated both medal contenders.
Catherine McPhee calls in
Catherine McPhee defended American Idol as her valuable start, described making House Bunny and revealed that Babyface, Pink and Rumer Willis were in her phone.
Adrian Gonzalez beyond baseball
Padres first baseman Adrian Gonzalez promoted the launch dinner for his and Betsy Gonzalez's foundation, recalled his first major-league homer and said baseball is roughly 80 to 90 percent mental.
How to handicap a horse
A horse-racing handicapper taught Mikey and Skye to inspect horses in the paddock, avoid animals wasting energy at the gate and use recent finishes and speed figures in the racing form.
Team Sass sweeps
In Battle of the Sexes, Chantel correctly named three Dream Team players and LaDainian Tomlinson, while the men missed every question and Team Sass won 3-0.
The call-log question
Jessica Simpson said she and Tony Romo laughed at Carrie Underwood's claim that he still called her, then joked that she had checked his call log as the crew argued she probably had.
Mikey's testimony
Mikey closed with a candid testimony about insecurity, self-induced vomiting, isolation and alcoholic drinking, saying faith in Jesus transformed his life and gave him hope, a wife and a son.

It is 6-0-6. Barack Obama says he has decided who he wants to be his vice president. I love gold. The U.S. women's soccer team wins gold, beating Brazil 1-0 in overtime. You guys, I watched some Olympics yesterday. What did you watch? I watched wrestling. Oh, wow. Yeah. And it was so cool, dude, because I hadn't watched TV in so long, you know? Did Triple H win the gold? No, no, no, no. It wasn't the WWE. Did they bring back Hulk Hogan? No, it wasn't anything like that. Did Kamala compete for Uganda? Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. That was hot. Dang. Wow. What is Coco be verified out of? He's American. Oh. Good to have him on our side. How about that? No, I watched this dude. Well, first of all, I hadn't watched my TV in so long that I was really, really impressed with the clarity of HD. You were confused by the images. I was like, are they here? The Olympics is in my house. Yeah. That's weird. So, you know, that was my first observation. But I saw the coolest wrestling match with this dude that, I guess, in a prior...
wrestling match to get to this point had head-butted some guy, and dude, his eye was swollen shut. He had like a big butterfly bandage below his eye, and he beat the dude. Wow. One-eyed. He beat the dude. That's cool. He was really good. And then I welled up with tears. No. Dude, I did. You didn't. I did. You didn't. In fact, I... Was he American? No, no, no. Not that one. A different match. A different match. Let me tell you about it. I'm so mad that I didn't tape it because I wanted to go get Rebecca and go, you got to watch this to see if it would happen to her. I mean, this was the last thing I was expecting because I got to tell you, yesterday I experienced for the first time in my life an anxiety attack. What? Yeah, I thought I was having a heart attack. I thought I was literally having a heart attack and I told Rebecca about it and I'm like on the verge of like, should I go to the emergency room? I couldn't breathe. My chest hurt.
I felt like I had a lump in my throat and it was kind of metallic. And she was like, yep, yep, yep, yep, all of it. My heart was beating super fast. And she said, yeah, it's an anxiety attack. She used to have them. And she goes, you need to completely detach from thinking about it because that's what exacerbates it and makes it worse. And it's weird because I'm still kind of feeling it. But, um, so she wanted me to go in the, in the, uh, living room, turn TV on and just like totally veg out on what was on TV. Right. So, so, uh, I'm like completely watching the Olympics and not thinking about anything. And it was this, I hate that they say kilos. Cause I don't know what that's a kilo, man. How much is that? It's enough to get you high. That's for sure. Whatever it was, it was like, I want to say 90 kilos. They were small. They were small. It was finally USA because all I had been watching was these other countries. I didn't care either way who won. Finally, it's USA versus
I want to say, oh, it was Japan. It was Japan. Oh, wow. It's USA versus Japan. And they're telling the story of this little American. And he is, like, first generation out of Mexico. He's 21 years old. You know, I heard about this yesterday. Yeah. Yeah. He slept in a bed by himself for the first time at 17 years of age when he went to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado because up to then he had to share a bed. You know, son of immigrants, totally poor. And this was for a gold medal. This wrestling match was for a gold medal. And I'm just consuming all this information and I'm like, wow, that's really cool. And it was going on for a while, you know, the match. He beats this Japanese guy and they start to play music in the stadium. That's sort of the rousing soundtrack of a movie type of music. And this kid goes and runs up to his big gigantic black coach and jumps into his arms. And this big black dude picks him up and he's crying. That little dude. He's got his hands up to his fists, up to his eyes. He's crying. They're playing this music.
And the dude, his coach lets him down and he grabs an American flag and he's running around and he drops to his knees with the American flag and wraps it around himself. And they're playing that music and showing people crying in the stands. His family's crying. And I'm like, my eyes just fill up with tears. I can't even believe it. I almost cried. It was like a movie. It was like watching a movie. Or Vision Quest. Yeah. What do you want? You want the tears to come out of my eyes? 50 times better because it was real life, you know? It was crazy. And I was like, and then I thought to myself, man, have I been missing great stuff, you know? I was going to say, you should have seen when Carrie Walsh and Misty May won. I kind of thought that. Monumental. Not really the same kind of story, but, you know. Oh, man. It was, I'm telling you, like... Or do it like the Hills last week. Well, that's probably different. I would think that would be different. A little bit, you would think that would be kind of different. Or totally different. If Sean meant that he really did cry at the Hills. Because there's a chance. Oh, there's a good chance. A good chance. Like, I would say that joke is... There's an 80% chance that it's true. Who's joking?
Apparently there's a 100% chance it's true. So let's introduce everybody. Seven people on the Mikey show. That's ridiculous. Yeah, it is. Right? It is. Crazy. I mean, we think that. You should hear the higher ups in Clear Channel. They're really confused by it. Are they? Financially, yeah. Yeah. Economically, they wonder in these times, what is that all about? And they ask periodically. They could get away with a host and an intern, you know, for all they care. Yeah. And they point to other shows that they have where it's like one dude and an intern and they're like, wow, this show does seven people. Really? Is that necessary? Yeah. Well, we could get you seven interns. Yeah. What about seven interns? So I'm Mikey and I'm the host of the show and I well up with tears at the Olympics. Thank you. I'm 38 years of age and occasionally make my therapist cry. So I hope you enjoy that one. Resolution. No. Good night, everybody. Yeah. Let's see. Eddie is our producer and our sports guy, and he knows a lot about sports. He knows a lot. He's kind of like a computer when it comes to sports, and the hard drive is very large. Chantel, what are you doing? Sorry. I didn't mean it. Through the cage? I mean, through the cage, she's going to start poking with a stick already. I'm sorry. I apologize. It's unnecessary. Not really.
If I were you, I'd show some love quickly. Like some sort of... It was out of the gate. It was uncalled. Eddie recoiled from her touch. I mean, it's not even accurate. It might be a rough one. It might be a rough one. It's not even 6'30". Skye is... We'll get to Chantel in a moment. Oh, this is rough. Skye is our news girl. Hi, Mike. She is 30. Hi. Her and I have been on the air for almost nine years together. And yeah, so in... No, no, no. Excuse me. We have been on the air for nine years. Next year, we will have been on the air for 10 years together. Party! What are we doing? I got to admit, I thought about, you know, because her and I, we're very different. We have like this love-hate. We fight, blah, blah, blah. But the bottom line is, this is from the truest steps of my heart. I love her so much. And listen to this. Don't cry. Check this out. So check this out. So I'm thinking about it the other day. And I'm like, because, you know, she'll tell you, we drive each other nuts a lot. Yeah, a lot.
A lot. But I thought there was something about the fact that we've been on the air together for 10 years that really made me all mushy. Did you cry? Did you cry? No, no, no, I didn't. I didn't. But I did think very, like, mushy, you know? Like, I was super mushy about it. Like, I was like, wow, we've been on the air a long time. That's 10 years. That's some good chemistry, you know? And then I thought about other people who have been on the air for 20 years, and I'm like, what do you think you're so great about, Mike? Shawnee, oh boy, is... Look at that. Look at that. Look at that kisser, Mike. Okay. Check that thing out. Well, I just looked. Yeah. Yeah. Eddie, did you see this? I wasn't paying attention. Until right now? Now I'm grossed out. Hang on. No offense. Nothing personal. No, no, no. Please don't try to analyze what Eddie said. Don't read into it. Yeah, because you're going to try to add your own assumptions to what he said. Right. You basically insulted me. No, no, no. See, that's you reading into it. That's you analyzing the comments. It's just my opinion. You know, it's not something that you're supposed to think about. You're just supposed to take it at face value. Well, he did it on the air, which is humiliating. But nobody listens. Completely taking it the wrong way. It's fine.
I meant it in a good way. He meant it in a good way. He meant it in a good way. He meant it in a good way. What do you mean that in a good way? Oh, man. Take some time. Think about it. Sean has shaved his face completely. He usually has a goatee and is completely clean shaven. Now it's closing, which is weird. He's thinking about it. Well, he told me to think about it. He's thinking about it. Oh, okay. Sean, what made you do that? I don't know what you're talking about. Oh, please. You do know what. What made you do it? Do what? Oh, come on. Give us your true feelings on it. What made you shave off? It was itchy. What do you want? That's not true. It was true. It was 9.30 last night and it was itching me like crazy. I couldn't stand it. Actually, it was 9.38.
I mean, I never had facial hair, so maybe you guys can speak to this, but... I can explain how weird that is. Does that happen often, that just out of nowhere your facial hair itches you to the point you need to shave it off? That's the thing. Does that happen often? You have eczema. You are full of crap. Just out of nowhere it started to itch? Well, I don't know if it was out of nowhere, but I definitely didn't notice it until, you know, last night. And I was like, ah, I can't stand this. Wow. When you're first, like, growing a beard or something, it'll itch. But when you have facial hair for an extended period of time, it doesn't itch. But hey, you know, hey, listen. No, Sean. Oh, wow. Uh-oh. That's a good sign. You just probably had lice or something. No, Eddie. He checked out. He just checked out. Pushed the camera away. Your fault. I don't know why they're attacking you. I think it looks great. Me too. Thank you, Ashley. Shut up, Mike. You must have thought I wasn't being genuine or something. Ashley is our assistant producer and I like the bangs. Thank you. She's got the bangs rocking. And
She's a blonde girl, and she's our friend, and she's very talented, and she is from the Bay Area. That's right. Eddie's counting up all those things. Thank you. Where is... Who? Who? Austin Robb. Bob? Yeah, think about it. Boston Bob? Who's that? Think about it. Oh, my goodness. Oh. What's going on? He's already out right now for the last gas monkey ever. That monkey monkey? Talk about it. Wow. You guys, the gas monkey's out in El Cajon right now already. That's huge. This is going to be his swan song right here. This is his swan song. Oh my gosh. I love it. This is it. There's going to be a lot of monkey moonwalking going on. Oh yeah, there is. This is the last gas monkey. Wow. Unbelievable. Yeah. This has been going on for a couple of weeks and today's the last one. Basically, you were supposed to get...
a Mikey Show P1 Army bumper sticker, a new one, and put it on your car. He's in the ELC? Yeah. I love it. ELC? The ELC. Make that up. That's cool. Okay. What's up? He's from the ELC. Yeah, he's out in El Cajon. And he's going to be out there until 7 o'clock. Now, what he does is he takes a big bunch of bananas. The bananas have gas cards taped to them. He'll find somebody with a sticker, pull them over, offer them a banana, do a gas monkey dance first. What does that consist of? This is him doing a gas monkey dance, like gas monkey walking and stuff. Gas monkey walking. Yeah. And then he'll let them take a banana and then look and see how much the card is worth. Gas card. Okay. Like $25 to $250. Yesterday, $250. And there's a new $250 on there today. Wow. Awesome. I want that one. Yeah, we replace them. Once somebody takes them, we replace them. It's not like they're gone forever. But today's the last day. Oh, my goodness. Dang it. So he's out there doing this up right now. Wow. Yeah. His name is Boston Rob, and he's 25. He's getting married, but we don't know when. No clue, really. Not even a ballpark.
When I told my wife that we were doing his bachelor party at Harrah's, she goes, oh, what's the, did he pick a date? Please, please. And that made me realize, oh yeah, that does imply that there's like a plan. And I said, no. And she kind of turned her head to the side like a German shepherd when a loud noise happens. There is Roosevelt, Zethian, the third, Junior, Esquire, M.D., DDS. Oh. Rosie. Rosie. Wow. He is 23 years of age. And he's our phone screener. And he's doing a pretty good job for just jumping on that. I'm actually pretty impressed with the kid. Oh, way to go. You're so good. Way to go, Odors. Thank you. The other female voice that you're hearing, ladies and gentlemen, is former Charger girl and current captain of Team Sass in Battle of the Sexes, Chantel. Yay!
Eddie just gave the thumbs down. She started it. She started it. And I'm going to finish it. Just wait. We bring it. These two have quite a chemistry. They have from day one, by the way. Eddie and Chantel have had a very interesting dynamic from day one. And they sit next to each other when she comes in the studio. So Chantel, Chantel is good friends with, well, I think good friends is a way to put it, but I don't know. But she's friends with Zeth. Yeah. How did this happen? Once I started coming on the show, he'd always come get me. And I figured we should just be friends. Yeah. So now we're friends. Aw. That's sweet. Chemistry is always interesting to me. Yeah. And so I'm fascinated by, well, what was the chemistry? You know, because I can't even figure odors out. I can't even figure out.
Roosevelt, Zeth, you know, it's the third junior Esquire, MD, DDS. He's got a lot going on, that kid. Yeah. And so I'm like, but she did. And she had a thing, you know, like a dynamic with him. And now they're buddies. Are you jealous? Why do you roll your eyes over there? Eddie, why are you rolling your eyes? I love you too. I'm jealous. I know. The first step is admitting. I am. I'm not jealous. I'm not jealous, but I'm envious because I wonder. I want to kind of know Zeth better. Yeah, what does Chantel have that we know? What did she do? What did she do? Like, how did she get in there and figure him out? Is that it, Eddie? He was attracted to her? It's not her personality. Shit. Now you're being really mean. Really mean. Yeah, Chantel, I would watch yourself. He has an energy sobby over there. You're not supposed to drink that stuff. I don't care. It's my energy.
He gets that caffeine going. Hey, Boston Rob's on the line and wants to suggest an addition to Zeth's name. Oh. What's up, B-Rob? Hey, good morning, Mike. Good morning, guys. Good morning. Hi, Rob. Good morning. Hey, it's P1 Rob. First time in a long time. Love the show. Whatever. Whatever. I got my radio turned down, so I don't know if you guys are still on this, but can we incorporate Zethi and Osa's name so we can get INC at the end of it? Inc. What does he mean? Oh, can we incorporate his name? Yes, like file the paperwork. Oh, gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. So you can add I-N-C. Now, would you say I-N-C or would you say Inc.? No, you have to say Inc. Inc. DDS Inc. That's ridiculous. That's fantastic. Oh, my God. Dude, that's funny. Done and done. He is now.
Thank you. He sounds so much like the gas monkey. That's a trip, that guy. That dude sounded just like the gas monkey. 570-1053 is our number and our text is 35253. Let's talk about our guests today. We have two... P1 trivia winners that get to come into the studio on Friday. They got their backstage laminated passes on. They get to hang out in the studio with us today and see how the show is done, see all the behind-the-scenes stuff, and a catered breakfast, which is coming. Who is it today, Zach? Seriously. Divine Possibility. You've got to be kidding me. Shantel. Look at Shantel. It's her favorite. It's her favorite. So excited. So, yeah, let's welcome P1 Wubbie to the studio. Yeah, Wubbie. I think it's Wubbie. Is it Wubbie? I think it's Wubbie. Yeah, Wubbie. Is it Wubbie or Wubbie? Wubbie. Yeah, Wubbie. There you go, Ashley. She is a royalty accountant? Wait a minute. Does that mean, like, people that have records and stuff? Anytime you're paying a royalty for any type of business, like, I do it for a software company. And so I manage the...
payments and invoicing. So what, like, who do you, do you pay royalties for people that do software? No, people pay us royalty to use our software. To use your software. Oh. So she collects it. Give me the money. Do they make pretty good dough, like, for royalties? Yes. Oh, sure they do. Can you guys imagine, man, you come up with some kind of software and you get paid royalties? Yeah, I want that. And she just said, good dough. Yeah. I like that. I have some new software. I'll take two. Yes. I wish I could develop some. Eddie, if you were to come up with some sort of revolutionary software, what would it be? What kind of thing would you want to develop software for? I want to be able to do stuff with my DVR. Oh, yes. I want DVR software. Yeah. You know, that you can program it from anywhere. Yeah, yeah. You can...
file share, that's really important to me. Because, like, if I miss something and Sky taped it or you taped it, you can send it to my DVR. Dude. Like, that's what I want. Can you develop that, please? Yeah, I'm on it. Eddie's starting to work. Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait. I can't hear you. I can't hear you. Go ahead, Woobie. Albany actually has developed something similar to that with our set-top box and are capable of you can file share content through our DivX connected box. Is that DVR? You can't have, it's not DVR yet, but if Sky has a file saved in our format, she can then put it on somewhere where Eddie can then get connected on it from his laptop to computer to TV and they can share content. That's cool. It's not bad. It's not bad, but I want it easier. I want it on my DVR and I can send file and then put in Sky's code and send it. Oh, dude. How great. Get it done, Eddie. I'll work on it. That would rock. That would rock. Rock it. Sky, what about you? It's funny because I was thinking the exact same thing. I want something with my DVR. You know, my first thought was I want...
to be able to share with all the DVRs in the house. You normally have one main DVR you record everything on and then you have boxes around the house. I want all the boxes to be able to share and access the same thing. But Eddie just took that to the next step with sharing it with friends and people across the country. I'm all in. That is so cool. Everybody needs stuff for... You've got to have stuff for your DVR. My thing would be... And they kind of have this right now, kind of, but it's so difficult and confusing. I would make this super easy. Yeah, I love cars. So at BMW Encinitas, in their parts department, I'm getting this new exhaust system called Corsa. It's the name of the company. And there's a couple of reasons dudes will put new exhausts on their car. The main reason, Seth knows this too, The main reason, it sounds bad. It just sounds... When you start your car, it goes... It just sounds... It sounds great. Like a Harley? If you're a car guy, this sound is like sweet music to your ears. The other thing about it is that when you drive it, it has this rumble, this low rumble to it that sounds kind of like a race car. And it just sounds fantastic.
Well, I don't want to annoy all the time. I just want to annoy when I'm on the freeway where it's not going to bother people. Yeah, because it bothers people. I know. I'm not a fan. Hang on a second. Hang on a second. I'm sorry. I care for you, but I am not a fan of the loud mufflers. Let me explain. We're not talking the same kind. of annoyance that you're thinking when you think like, say, the Japanese cars. Yeah, I know there's different kinds, but unless you're putting a silencer on it, no. Completely unnecessary. It is not this either. And this one drives me nuts. And if you're one of these guys, I apologize ahead of time. But I have to say, it drives me nuts, the Harley dudes. They're too loud. And my brother's one of them. My brother's one of them. But they're too loud. Like, they're so loud. On the freeway, it hurts your ears. Like, it genuinely... And I thought the other day this dude went driving by me. And I was trying to, like, get over in lanes and slow down so that he'd be, like, way in front of me. Because it hurt my ears. It was that loud. And I was like, how does that dude not... Yeah, I've wondered that, too. Like, how can they ride those all the time without wearing earplugs? Don't they damage their hearing? Doesn't that hurt?
Like, because it hurt my ears. I'm like, what if I was sitting on that? Yeah. You know, but anyway. To each their own. To each their own. I love the sound of these, these course exhaust systems. And so I want to do it. Okay. Here's what we have on the show today. Today's, I was like. Sky writes everything down on a dry erase board for me. I didn't even get to finish. I didn't even have enough time to finish the whole board because there's so much stuff to put on there. I know. And I told her when we started, I go, it's a lot, Sky. And then I looked at Eddie and I was like, oh my gosh. What are you doing, producer dude? Crazy show there. Yeah. It's jam-packed. I don't know. Adrian Gonzalez will be on today. It's the truth. Okay. Adrian Gonzalez, San Diego Padre, on the show today. Catherine McPhee will be on the show today. Yeah. Catherine McPhee. Excited, you guys. An expert on the Pacific Classic, which is going to be rad. If you're into Del Mar and the horse races, I always want to know, like, how do I pick up a racing form and know, I don't know, anything? Like, what is it? So she breaks it down. She'll be on. We have another.
P1 Hall of Fame. Actually, two. The last two people in the Hall of Fame are going to be announced today. Who are they? So we'll do that. We're going to play B-Rob's new song again, Waffle No. 5. He's out in El Cajon right now doing the last gas monkey. So if you have a Mikey Show P1 Army bumper sticker on your car and you're in the LC. Is that what you say? The ELC. If you're in the ELC, get out there because Rob's looking for you. He could have went up to $250 in a gas card. What else we got going on today? It's gigantic. It's gigantic. Text us, 35253, our phone number, 5701053. I so badly, like around sometime around 7 o'clock, I was thinking, I wonder if we can replay the Michael Phelps. So, and then I was like, We're jam-packed. Like, we're jam-packed. But it's just going to be a gigantic show today. Pablo Francisco in the stand-up spotlight. Show stand-up spotlight. Women, carry the mace. Carry the pepper spray. Don't take the self-defense courses. Have you seen the self-defense courses? No! Hands! What? I don't get that. Like, someone really attacks you like this. Come here! ...menu featuring a full pound of Hooters world-famous wings for only $7.99. That's...
$7.99. Delicious specialty burgers for only $8.99. Be for a great lunch, dinner, a snack, or just to watch your favorite sporting event. Ladies and gentlemen, I just want to tell you that AIS saved me $1,600 a year. I could practically just leave it at that. $1,600 a year. I had no idea. When AIS first came to me and said, we'd like you to be an endorser. I said what I always say. Okay, I can't tell you yes yet, but let me call and see how my experience is. And I did. And it tripped me out because it was less than 10 minutes. It was less than 10 minutes I was on the phone. In fact, I think at the time I timed it and it was like seven minutes. And I didn't have to, these were the things that surprised me. I didn't have to call my old company and cancel. They did it for me.
And they saved me $1,600 a year. And I used the insurance because I backed into a golf cart. I backed my forerunner into a golf cart. I used the insurance. It was better than my old insurance. So here's, change your insurance companies. Change to AIS. Call 1-800-777-4AIS. 1-800-777-4247. Or go online. AIS Insurance. Saturn presents another Think Rethink with Bob and Sue. Bob, for GM's 100th anniversary, Saturn is giving everyone their employee discount, so you pay what Saturn employees pay. Everyone doesn't work for Saturn. Well, that's the point, though. See, because for a limited time, everyone gets the employee discount, even if they're not a Saturn employee. I'm telling you that I believe that I would be the best person to change your diaper. Save that clip. Eddie. I'm very particular. I admit it. That's a flaw in my character. Sky. It's really difficult. Teaching myself to speak.
Myself on my sleeve. The monkey show's on. Some dude stuff. He talks to Eddie about UFC a lot, too, and knows what he's talking about. Welcome back. It is 6.42. Gwen Stefani is a mom again. She gave birth to a baby boy yesterday. After being evaluated by the doctor, Sean Merriman looks like he has ligament damage in his knee. Looks like he's going to have to go through some rehab to get back to 100%. Okay. Which is... Breathe. Which is good news, right? I mean, it's not a torn ligament or anything like that. It's bruised. He has a loose ligament. Loose? That's what he says. And, you know, I mean, he had the surgery to repair the cartilage damage about five months ago. He's had pain since then. Went back to the doctor and looks like, you know, he's got this goofy ligament damage. And, you know, it's going to take some rehab and probably some rest.
for it to get back to normal. Is there anybody in our P1 audience that's like a physical therapist or like anybody that works with people that have knee stuff? Eddie's a doctor. Eddie, you're a doctor. Eddie, can you explain what the deal is with this? The only thing loose I've had is my bowels. All right. Well, what I'm wondering is what will the rehab experience be like? What will they do? They'll strengthen his knee. They'll do different knee things to strengthen it. And that will tighten the ligament? I guess so. I wonder what. And how long? Stretching downward donkey and all that stuff. They'll probably hit it with that little triangle mallet. The triangle mallet. Yeah, they'll probably hit his knee with that. Ow. That seems like it would. And then his leg will pop up. Yeah. Doctor stuff. That's tricky stuff, knee stuff. Is it? Yeah, my grandma had to go through a lot of physical therapy for her. It's very similar. And she like couldn't get out of her car. Her knees were so bad. But she went to this physical therapist and like it does wonders. Now she can get out of her car. We'll call Sean and recommend your Nana's doctor.
I mean, she's 80, but she's doing great. Nice. Nice. Get her out on the field. That little blonde voice that you're hearing is Ashley. Yeah. And she's our assistant producer, and we love her, and she's 25 years of age, and she has got a screw loose. That's true. That is true. What did you say? She left Eddie a message on his cell phone yesterday. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. It's from my Bluetooth. Yeah. She's trying to figure out that Bluetooth. That is more dangerous than her using her phone. It's a good point. Eddie saw me putting it in because we got in our cars the same time to leave. I was in La Mesa at the time and she was here at the station. That thing is gigantic. She took a bedazzler to it. It's ridiculous. Here was Ashley's message to Eddie yesterday. I'm on my Bluetooth. I don't know if you can hear me. I don't know how my levels are. I'm on my Bluetooth. I saw that you were on your Bluetooth. Mine wasn't connected. Now I'm trying to call you, and clearly yours isn't even working. So who's the idiot now? I'm behind you right now, and I'm on my Bluetooth, so I don't even know if you can hear me. But if you call me back, I'll pick up.
from my Bluetooth, okay? I'm worried that we weren't in range. It's not like a walkie-talkie. She is really trying to figure out the Bluetooth. Let's see. Here is the message that Ashley left for me yesterday. I got one too. She's trying to figure it out. She's trying to figure it out. There you go. Thank you. She's on her Bluetooth. It works just like normal. She was on her Bluetooth. If we could hear her or not. We could hear her on the Bluetooth. I'm not kidding. Every time I call anybody, I preface it with, can you hear me? I'm on my Bluetooth. Testing. So how am I coming in? I feel so bad for the people I call every day. Every time I call them from my car, I have to preface it. I feel bad for them.
Sky, I will now play for you the sound of what my new Corsa exhaust system will sound like. But I told you I don't care for the sound. I don't like the sound. It annoys me. Cut 42. I want that as my ringtone. I love when it starts. Can I hear the starting one more time? That is... Great. All right, let me hear the other one. Now, this is the deal with this, the Corsa. Just a quick minute for the dudes that love cars. And you ladies, too. All you ladies of the world. The great thing about this Corsa exhaust is that when you're driving inside the car, they say that there's this sweet spot where you're driving at a certain speed and it sounds real sweet. But then when you get up to higher RPMs, you go, ew.
Because it just gets a little bit like inside the car. And that's every exhaust system. So what Corsa did is they spent years developing these sound models to do stuff to it, to tweak it just a little bit so that inside it just sounds sweet all the time. It never gets to that level of like, ew, cut 43. I'm going to take it for a spin. I want to know it. It's like molasses. Yeah, it is. It's smooth. Sweet molasses. I could listen to that all day long. Well, you're gonna. I'm gonna. I am gonna. Oh, that's real sweet. Oh, come on. Worried, you know. He said, the guy told me, he goes, just lay off. You know, when you're leaving, just be real sweet. Just don't be crazy. Don't get goofy. Don't get goofy. So I won't get goofy. This will be 5 a.m.
Hey, guys, is everybody cool with this? You're getting goofy. So I'm going to leave you waiting for this. But a little while later in the show, we have a clip. Jessica Simpson responding on the air to Carrie Underwood's comments that Tony Romo still calls her. Because when we heard Carrie Underwood say that. Yeah. We were all like, why would she? Even if that's true, that's, oh, imagine being Jessica Simpson because that's Jessica Simpson's boyfriend. And she's saying, yeah, he still calls me. Carrie Underwood is. So anyway, she responds to it. And it's like she really gives a response. So we're going to hear that coming up. Ladies and gentlemen, it's.
the last gas monkey. Oh, I can't, I can't handle it. I know. I know. Hi, monkey man. Guys, it's not an auspicious occasion today. It's the last one. A little sad. We have that in there. It's a sad monkey. Well, don't be sad. Yeah. Sad monkey. I know, I'm going to dance it up like I've never danced before. I'll tell you what, but it's just, I love this monkey too. Can I just wait to work? We've had to rent a monkey suit for two weeks. We'll get Sean too excited. That's right. Sean, how are you? Sean, how are you? Sean, how are you living? He wasn't doing anything. Sean, how are you living? I mean... Gas Monkey. Yeah, yeah. What are we looking at here? What kind of car? We got a nice little Ford Ranger. A little Ford Ranger? Yeah, Ford Ranger. Can you help me move? So, okay, so you're flagging him over, right? I'm in pursuit, and I got him. I got him. Again, you're not a cop. No, he really does consider himself law enforcement. He's like the furthest thing from it. Well, he was wearing a monkey suit. It's weird. Freeze, is that what he said? Freeze. Freeze. Mike, you can't do that. I don't think you can do that. No, not really. Mike, hand in the air. Oh, hand in the air. He's holding a banana. Stop it, Rob.
Let's see. Let's go to the winner line. Let's go to the winner line. Are you close to him so we can get a phone in his hand? Hello, who's this? This is Tracy. P1 Tracy. How you doing, bro? Good. How you doing, man? I'm good. And how long have you had your P1 bumper sticker on your car? For a while, dude. For quite a while, yeah. I've been a listener of the Mikey Show for years, dude. Where did you pick the sticker up? At 105.3 because I just won tickets to Shine Down, dude. Gotcha, gotcha. So when you came in, see how beautiful that works? So when he came in to pick up his prize right there in the lobby at Rock 105, we have the stickers. He got one stuck in on his car. Look, it already paid off. So what do you think of that gas monkey? He's pretty cute, right? He's like a freak, dude. Yeah. Accurate. Yeah, he is. Yeah, he is. Did he dance for you? Oh, yeah. He's dancing right now. He's shaking his little tail there and everything. Yeah. Okay. Yuck. You know, we videotaped this. We put it on MikeyShow.com. Yeah, I see that. Yeah. Yeah. So he sees that they're videotaping him right now. All right. Well, let's get down to business, dude. You see that he's holding some bananas, right? Yeah. Gas Monkey, you got bananas ready to go? You better believe it. Okay. Go ahead, Tracy, and take one of those bananas off. Pull off the sticker and tell us how much your gas card's worth.
$50, dude. $50. $50. Last one. There you go. Last one. The last one. It's $50. It's $50. I'm a single dad. It goes a long way. I'm glad to hear that. Imagine how much shorter it'll last than $250. Hey, hey, hey, hey. You know, hey, it's better than nothing, right? Luck of the draw. It's better than a zero. Glass half full. Glass half full. A deal or a deal is never giving away the million dollars. Better than a zero. Better than a zero dollar gas card, right? That's true. That would suck. All right. Well, all right. Well, Tracy, enjoy. Cool. And we'll talk to you later. Cool. Thank you, bro. We'll see you. We'll see you. You ever say to somebody who talked to you later, you know full well, you're probably never going to talk to him again. You know what I mean? Probably ever again. So it makes you a liar. So, uh, gas monkey. Good job, bro. Good job. Was that fun? Did you enjoy the last couple of weeks dressing like a monkey? Will you do me a favor? By the time you come into the studio, usually you've already taken your gas monkey suit off.
For the listeners that are in the studio today, will you keep your gas monkey suit on just so we can see you in here? Heck yeah, I moved it to a Sunday. Okay, great. And then we'll take a picture of you and we'll put you on the website today and we'll see you in a few minutes. Perfect. You hear that, Sean? Meow. What's a P1? P1 is someone that turns down their radio, they get to the point, they don't cuss and they listen to the Mikey Show exclusively. That is correct. The AT&T phone sale presents a phone survivor story. I get so, so, so fired up about Mac and the product Mac. I'll tell you why. The reason is because I own one and I didn't know what it was like before I got it. I would hear about it from people. And I'll be honest with you. I'll tell you what I used to think. Before I was a Mac guy, I was intimidated by Mac. But everybody would tell me, oh, dude, I'm telling you, once you do this, you will never, ever go back to PC. And I'm telling you with 100% genuineness.
I will never go back to a PC. It was so easy to understand, and it broke everything down into regular person talk. But this is what's great about Mac right now. If you are a college student, a teacher, or a faculty member, and you go buy a Mac, and they got three stores in San Diego. They got a new one, a brand new one if you're in North County. They got one in Carlsbad. And so they got one at Carlsbad. They got one at Fashion Valley, and they got one at UTC. But if you get a Mac right now and you're a college student, teacher, faculty member, you get a free iPod Touch or a free iPod Nano. Free. F-R-E-E. And the thing that's great about them is I've been telling you all kinds of different stuff. They got a built-in wireless. It's built in. It's in there already. Unlike PC, like when you get your PC, you have to say, and can you please put this and also add this and I want to have that and can you put this in there and a la carte, a la carte.
A la carte. A la carte. What are you doing? I'm being computer PC guy. What do I mean? I'm talking like I talk when I order a PC. That's how you talk? Yeah, this is how we all talk when we order a PC. I've never talked like that. You are lying. You are lying. Error code 24912. What? Now, see, if you were on a Mac, it would just say you're lying. It would be normal person talk. It wouldn't give you codes and stuff. Oh, okay. But anyway, that wireless is built in. So if you go, you open up your Mac somewhere, they got a wireless network. Zing, zang, boom, ping, pop. You're connected to the internet. Their website.

Convict Sitter, Diego's Rock. MyCricket.com slash San Diego. It's another Mikey moment. Do we have Metallica single here in the studio anywhere? I wish we did. What's it do? But they're not giving it to us until 11 this morning. Really? What if Zed can find it in his 23-year-old internet ways? If you can, I would be really surprised because they're being like... We're trying not to let the cat out of the bag. But I think if you could, I would absolutely love it. Yeah, we don't want Napster to get it. You're listening to Mikey. Rock 105.3. It's a Mikey show at 7-12. A threatening letter with powder in it was sent to John McCain's campaign office in Colorado yesterday. Americans Todd Rogers and Phil Dahlhauser won gold in men's beach volleyball.
In mere moments, we will be making the announcement of the last two and final P1 Hall of Fame inductees. There's two left. Who are they? There's two left. So far, there's seven. These are the people we've announced so far. Spaceboy, Quimby, T-Rex, and yesterday, we announced P1 Sanjaya and P1... Who else? Danny. Danny. He won Sam Jai. So there are two left. They're actually on hold right now. And we will be introducing them to you in mere moments. And that clip right there, you heard us talking about the new Metallica album. And the new song. Did you guys hear it? I did not. Did you? Oh, yeah. What did you think? It sounds like Metallica. It's eight minutes long. Sounds long.
Sounds long. It's like when you see a movie and you go, well, it's an okay movie, but they really could have made it a lot shorter. And you feel that way? Yeah, because there's parts of it that kind of make me laugh. Like, hey guys, it's 2008. 2008 called. But then there's parts that I'm like, oh, that's good. That's Metallica. So it kind of, for me, was like a bit of a rollercoaster listening to it. This is one of the things that I... This is an observation. I don't know if I'm right or wrong on this, but I know that when the Black Album came out in 91, a lot of Metallica fans were like, what's up, man? Sold out. You guys sold out. You're not hard anymore. And then a few years later, what was the next album that Hero of the Day was on or whatever? Load? 96, 97. Load and reload. And when those albums came out, it was like, oh, you dudes really sold out. You're totally commercial. And so they were hearing this for a long time. And so they're like really now, I think, trying to address this issue and getting back to that sound from 1988. But I think what they might be missing is that the guys that were complaining are now like 47 years old.
And they don't listen to it anymore. I don't know. I could be totally wrong. I don't know. The single is called The Day That Never Comes. I just want to hear a second of it because I haven't heard any of it. See what it sounds like. It was fully recorded with their new bass player, right? Yeah. You've never heard, but like a classic Metallica. Does it do this for five minutes and then James starts singing? Because they were doing that on the last album. The intro would be like... Notice that they're doing this thing. where it sounds vocals and even the guitars, they're doing this sort of like demo sound. Yeah. Like his vocals sound like they want it to sound like, hey, you're listening to our demo, but when we get in the studio, it'll sound all gigantic and, you know, do you know what I mean? Still sounds great. Still sounds like classic Metallica, though. Chantel, that has got to do absolutely nothing for you, right? Chantel and Metallica do not seem to mix. Actually,
Oh, really? Look at this. You're right, Mike. Second to last boyfriend loved Metallica. And that's all he listened to. So then I started to like it. But now that it's been a long time, I don't really listen to him talk anymore. It's okay. I don't dislike it. Really? Does it get you fired up? Negative. It doesn't make you want to play soccer or something? Punch somebody in the face? Exactly. Yeah. No. Yeah, it does do that. For Chantel, MindPostAbilities brought in some food. That's yummy. Yeah, and they're doing a contest right now on their website. You should check out torpasta.com. They're doing a contest for best sandwich in San Diego. Yeah, they were nominated, and you can vote on their website from a link there. Yay! Yeah, a great sandwich. And they still do 10% off if you say you're a P1. That's the best ever. It's a crazy concept.
It's brilliant. Yeah, and I'm trying something new this morning. Oh, well, what? Because you know it's always the pasta in the garlic bread, little pocket yummy goodness that we always get. I got a salad one today. What? What? Yeah. Really? They do that? It's like a chicken ranch barbecue salad stuffed in garlic bread. Oh, my God. That's what it is. How easy does that sound? They take like a sesame seeded hoagie roll, and they just cut one end of it off, and then they... You know, take the stuff out of it and then stuff pasta inside of it. And it's delicious. Amazing. It's really good. And it's like if you're a clean freak like Sean, it's perfect because it doesn't get everywhere. It's all self-contained. Yep. It's all self-contained. All right. Let's do this. Oh, yeah. Come on now. Okay. Now, on September the 5th, on the morning of Friday, September the 5th, we're doing a monumental broadcast from Harrah's Rincon. Oh, my gosh. This is going to be intense. It's going to be the P1 Hall of Fame induction broadcast. First one ever. We're going to be inducting seven people into the P1 Hall of Fame. So far, we've announced five inductees. Spaceboy Quimby, Danny, Sanjaya, and T-Rex. And that's it. We're going to announce two right now. The last two. This is it.
The last two of 08. Who are they? Who are they? Oh, I hope it's me. I'm starting to hear from P1s who feel like they should be in the Hall of Fame and haven't heard anything, and so they're kind of either freaking out or they're mad. Like, listen. If they're mad, that's creepy. Well, you know. Well, not really. There was one in particular that's a little upset, but. Can you text me? Text me. Or IM me. I said, listen, man. Blog me. We talked about so many different ones, and we all had, you know, different opinions, and some old-timer P1s have disappeared. Like, where did they go? Yeah, it's true. I'll send it to you right now. Eddie's going to eye on me who felt cheated, I think, as soon as I read it. But I won't say out loud. I won't. I do, too. Because there are people that are Hall of Fame. Where's the suit? Oh, oh, oh, you guys have it on. Here he is. Here he is. It's a gas monkey came in here. Let's see. Put that on your little... It is. It's like a giant... The monkey suit reeks like cigarettes. That's so gross. That's disgusting. Hopefully we get our deposit back. No kidding. Eddie just IM me the name. Whatever. Do you see my eyes rolling? He wasn't serious, right? He was just kidding around, kind of. He was pretty serious. Come on. Give me a break. You're not supposed to say... You're not supposed to say...
That. You're supposed to be classy, buddy. Go, hey. Congratulations. Congratulations. Maybe next year. Maybe next year, huh? There's always next year. There's always next year. Well, let's do this. Yeah. Let's announce who the final two are going to be. Yeah, come on. Can't wait to find out. Ladies and gentlemen, the sixth inductee to the P1 Hall of... You know him. You love him. P1 Talon is on the line. What's up? What's up, Talon? How you guys doing? Let me tell you something. Talon is the guy that brought you, good morning, ladies and gentlemen, and beating. Okay. Oh, so funny. Talon's so funny. Made me laugh so hard. Made me laugh so hard. Talon has been with us forever. He shows up to all events. Every event. That's right. Every event the guy's at. Yeah, he'll work an overnight shift and then come to a morning broadcast with, like, no sleep. So impressive. Guy calls all the time. Always a great contributor.
Solid. Since D1. Tell us what got you to be such a big fan, Taylin. Well, actually, Sky, to be honest. Really? There he is. Sky, there you go. He's the best. He loves the Sky humor. He's just like Rob. Rob is the same thing. He loves Sky jokes. Who says it's Sky jokes? Maybe he just cares for my view on politics. Is that it, Taylin? Is it that you care about her view on politics? Well, no, the thing is that when I first started listening, I wasn't really a big fan of Sky. Wait a second. Yeah, hold on. Let him finish. Hold up, wait a minute. Because I thought that she would always just argue with everything. Yes, well, she does. I do not. I'd like to argue that point. But then one day she's like, you know, I would never eat a fish taco unless... Ralph Rubio came in here and made a fish taco. Well, actually, the way that it happened was she said she'd never eat a fish taco. She didn't put that caveat. And we said, what if we have Ralph Rubio himself? And I'm thinking in my head, we can't do that, but what if we did? It's like saying, what if we have Wendy come in here from Wendy? You know what I mean?
And Eddie figured it out. He got Ralph Rubio to come in here and surprise her. Well, he actually does come in, and she's like, okay, I'm fine. I'll eat the fish taco. And I was totally convinced that no matter how good it was, she was going to say she didn't like it. But she said she liked it and proved me wrong, and I became a fan immediately. That's cool, man. Taylin, did it mean a lot to you to find out that you were going to be inducted into the first class of the P1 Hall of Fame? It was shocking, and it's probably going to be the greatest thing for a long time. That's cool. Well, congratulations, bro. Thank you, Mike. Congratulations, and yeah, he will be inducted by one of the show members live on the radio at the first ever P1 Hall of Fame induction at Harrah's RenCon. Wow. I can't wait. That's right. All right, Taylor, we'll talk to you later. Thank you, guys.
Are you ready for the last inductee? Oh, my God. The last inductee. Hold on to your hats, everybody. Come on. Who just said no? Whoopi. Whoopi. Look at her face. I think she may have figured it out. Do you know? No, I don't know. Have you heard us say? I haven't said. But you have an idea. I have an idea. Look at her face. Let me tell you something. I'm mind-melding with you right now, and you're right. Come over to a microphone. Rob, have a share of your might. Skye, who do you think it is? I think you're about to say paparazzi. That's what you think? That's what I think. Boy, it sure would be a letdown right now if that wasn't who it was, right? No, it would be a relief. If you're talking call of fame, paparazzi negated his eligibility for life for what he did when he was here. What did he do? What did he do?
I'd like to know. What he did was he got Ashley's I Am address from her machine. A true P1. A true Hall of Famer. Never do that. Not only that, but you couldn't reward that. You could never reward that. But we did. Look at Eddie's face. Paparazzi. Paparazzi. Are you there? How are you, sir? I'm treating him with respect. You're so controversial right now. You are so controversial. You are the most controversial figure. Let me tell you something. First of all, Eddie's backed away from the mic. Let me tell you something. I'm going to pull the curtain back. This is a lot right now. It's probably an hour long conversation in the office. Easily an hour. And the Mikey show.
is the Hall of Fame committee. So we decided who would go into the Hall of Fame. Now, what we did, I'm going to tell you a little bit about the process. We took about 15 names. And there were about 15 people that we felt should be discussed. And when paparazzi's name came up, it was so electrifying in that office. There was so much controversy and so much buzz. And I'm telling you in complete seriousness that these conversations were serious and not like joking around. Like we had legitimate conversations about it. And the reason that we did is because it's a big deal. And Eddie was like, dude, you cannot reward some of that stuff. And I go and this was my thoughts on paparazzi. And ultimately, this is what led to paparazzi being inducted into the first ever P1 Hall of Fame.
It's exactly this. The reason that we call him paparazzi is because early on in our careers here in San Diego, four years ago, he would show up to our appearances and he would take what I deemed an inappropriate amount of photographs of us. here at the station doing morning so that we were meeting a lot of new people. Most of us on the show actually thought paparazzi worked for the radio station. We did. We did. Taking pictures for our website. We absolutely thought he worked for promotion. Because he was taking so many pictures. It was that creepy. Okay. Now, Rob, Rob. Right? He took a lot. He took a lot. I bet he's not going to speak. I got it. He took a lot of pictures. Now, and then, yes, it is true that he, uh, He came into the studio. He was allowed into the studio one time. During the 28-hour show. During the 28-hour show. Brought some guacamole. Brought some guacamole, which was delicious. It was. Delicious guacamole. What he didn't care for. And he sat in Ashley's studio. And he sat behind Ashley. And up on her screen was her instant message buddy list. He saw some...
Very private, buddy-less names. And started to IM us. And we had a discussion about it with him. We told him we felt that was inappropriate. And to his credit, I've never received an IM from him since. And neither of you guys, right? Well, I did just this morning. Are you for... No way. Now, hang on. To his defense, he was on hold because we were about to get him on for this. And he IM'd me and said, can you please call me on my house phone? My cell phone's cutting out. So I think that that's... To make sure that the good radio would be had. Now, we're not done. Rob, go ahead. Well, I'm just surprised he didn't just call us on the hotline. Remember when he got that number? He did. He somehow got a hold of our hotline. And I'm sure there was a legitimate reason or explanation. But he did get the private studio line and he used it until we told him it was inappropriate. He also...
But he somehow found his way into the clear channel skybox at the queue for a Charger game. And Eddie was in the skybox and turned around and there was paparazzi. Scared the pants off Eddie. Takes a lot to scare Eddie, but it scared him. There was a time where we looked outside the studio here. We got a big window here at the studio. Thank you. Bring it up. And we were just doing a broadcast. We were just broadcasting. We were in the middle of a show, and we looked up, and paparazzi was standing in the hallway. Staring. Staring through the window. Freakishly. See, Rob, I'm just stating facts. I'm not editorializing. I'm pacing a picture, Mike. Sean, stop it. Mike, we're on the radio. I have to paint the picture. Right. No. Now, paparazzi. Now, that's the stuff that is the...
what you would call the negative. But, paparazzi also is a very regular contributor to the show, and I feel, Eddie disagrees, but I feel that when he calls in, he's got some good stuff. As a contributor, I think that he makes good points, asks good questions. Occasionally, it will fall short, but... Occasionally? Occasionally. But I feel for the most part, he's a pretty good contributor. Sure. Now, my wife made a point that I thought was a really good point about paparazzi. And this is something that you cannot deny. This guy can take a punch like nobody's business. And I've said that all along. I mean, we beat this guy mercilessly in describing. Now, a lot of it is his own, you know, doing. But we talk about it here on the air.
The guy takes a punch like nobody's beeswax, right? And he has always been content for the Mikey show. In one way or another, he is so controversial that he, you say the name paparazzi and like him or hate him, people know who he is. Well, that's because he calls a thousand times. Hey, listen, all I had to say was, we're about to introduce... The seventh and final person to be inducted. And P1 Whoopi went, uh-uh. That's how polarizing he is. That she knew, boom, instantly. As soon as there was a hint of, like, controversy, boom, she knew who it was. So, you know, he's like, every great show needs a villain. Sure. Every great show needs a villain. And this guy is like the Joker. He's so good, there will never be anybody that will be able to. Compete. He's a terrible person. No, he isn't. First of all, no, he isn't. He's not. Eddie, that's not funny. He is not. He's not. He's not a terrible person. He's not. He's a good guy. He's a little off course. He is. He's nice, and sometimes he's a little off course, but he's a good guy. Bratsy, were you excited to hear that you were going to be in the P1 Hall of Fame?
You know, when I found out about it initially, I was kind of scared because I didn't know about the P1 Hall of Fame thing going on because I was working up in Orange County out of range of the Mikey Show for about a week. Right. And then I get an email from, of all people, Eddie, asking me what my jacket size was. So the first thing that went through my head is, oh, no, what are you guys going to do? You're going to do something like joking or... Oh, so Eddie, you didn't tell him why? Hell no. Oh, why? It was against my will that I even had to do it. But I happened to have his email and I was the only one that apparently did. So I was forced against my will to communicate with this gentleman. This is the first time I'm hearing of this. So Eddie, does he write you back asking why? No. Paparazzi, be honest. Was it because you were afraid to start poking around and asking questions? I was a little bit scared. I'm thinking, okay, they're going to do something jacked up. And he's like, oh, we have something special for you. Oh, and then you're really like. Yeah, oh, no. So then, of course, later on, I think Tuesday this week, I was in town. I heard the mic show. I'm like, oh, that's what's going on. So what are your thoughts on being inducted into the P1 Hall of Fame? I'm honored. Yeah. Well, you should be, brother. You know, you can decline if you want. No, Sean. That would be good.
Listen, it was a long discussion. It was a long... I fought against you tooth and nail. Trust me. I wish I was a fly on the wall. Oh, dude. No, you don't. No, you don't. I mean, for the good parts, yeah. For the good parts, yeah. But, hey, listen, you know, I genuinely feel that you deserve it. And, you know, and I think that you have, to your credit, I think that you've... you know, shaped up in the areas that you were, you know, not doing so great. I appreciate that. Yeah. So congratulations, paparazzi. You are easily the most controversial figure ever on The Mikey Show. There has never been a paparazzi. In fact, in every other city that we've been in, he's really the, you know, the first guy that's kind of been this guy, you know? We didn't have it in San Jose or Dallas or anywhere that we've been. And, you know, that's who he is. That's who he is. So congratulations, bro. And all of the P1 Hall of Fame inductees are going to be put up at Harrah's Rincon. Awesome. It's going to be so great. So pretty cool. Pretty cool, man. Mike, it doesn't have to be this way. No, Sean. Paparazzi, is there anything that you'd like to add before we let you go? I just can't wait to play some poker with Eddie. Oh.
See, he's just a good sport. Hey, listen, he's a good sport. He's a good spirit. Gotta love it. All right, paparazzi, thank you. All right, thank you. We'll see you. He's got a smile on his face. You can hear it. The text messages are rolling in. Interestingly enough, Taylin is not a part of these text messages. That's weird. Our phone number is 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. Mikey, what's next? Ryan Leaf in the NFL Hall of Fame? Shouldn't he be put in as P1 Stockarazzi? That's P1 Tim. Paparazzi practically just got away with murder. Where's the justice? Signed O.J. Simpson. P1 was hampooned. Mikey, there should definitely be an asterisk next to his name. And there is no way he can wear that jacket out in town. You think the P1s that didn't make it in are...
Let's hear from you. Let's hear from them, yeah. The ones that feel that they... Make your case. 570-1053. We ain't changing things, but it'll make great radio. 35253 is our text number. We're Coma. The plastic ashtray in my Toyota that pulled out and you broke it and then you laughed. Everywhere. It's hysterical. Ladies and gentlemen, P1 paparazzi was announced as the last inductee into the P1 Hall of Fame just moments ago. I'm still sick. My stomach. It is 7.55. iTunes in China has been blocking all downloads since Monday. Some believe it's to block access to a new Tibet-themed album. Both the United States men's and women's 4x100 relay teams dropped the batons and don't even finish in the qualifying. Talk to me. Talk to me. Talk to me. I couldn't believe it when I was watching it last night. Right? It was crazy. Talk to me. So the men, the U.S. men, great at track and field, so strong. You know, them and the Jamaicans are like, you know, should be dominating it, everything. The men are doing the relay. You know what that is, where they have the little stick and they pass it off. Called the baton. Oh, whatever. It's a little stick. And it's very pretty colors. It's a twig. Yeah. Are all the batons different colors for each team? I think they're all red. They're all red?
No, they're not. Really? Yeah, they're different. Yeah. And so the men are doing their thing, killing it in the lead, passing it off, I believe, to the last guy. Question? Question? Yeah. Because I haven't seen it. Do the guys that you're going to hand it off to start running before you get to them? Yes. Yeah. Go to hand it off to the last guy. They're in the lead. Drop it. And once it's dropped, you're disqualified. Ladies. Guys. Guys. Guys. Why did they do that? So that means it's over for them for a gold, right? Yeah, because this was the qualifying round, so they didn't even make it to the finals. So the women come up next, and everybody's talking about, oh, you know their coaches must have been back there telling them, hey. Just focus on the baton. Make sure you pass that. Blah, blah, blah, blah. And back in 04, the women had dropped the baton and, you know, lost it too. And it was devastating for them. So the women go, the women go. They're doing great. They're in the front. Hand it off to the last gal. Drops it. You have got to be kidding me. Like I was screaming. It's like a curse. It's such a trip because every single human being hearing Sky say this right now can go.
Oh, that sucks. We're all American listening to this right now. That sucks. I mean, such strong teams and neither of them even made it to basically compete. Dude. They couldn't even compete. Isn't that kind of the basic idea? Like, don't drop the baton. For sure. Don't drop the baton. It's crazy. They probably do it a million times. Oh, yes. And not drop it. And then the one time it counts. Well, I didn't see the female gymnast, but I saw the story about the girl in the team competition that ruined it by jumping up on that horse and slipping and falling off the horse, and she kind of blew it for her team. I don't remember her name, but Chris Collinsworth was interviewing her, and she said, yeah, nine times out of ten, I'd nail it. Of course. But in the Olympics... A lot of pressure, man. Not too much. It was like... Mike, the time that I auditioned for American Idol. Right. And it's like, I know that James Blunt song, You're Beautiful, like the back of my hand. I recited it all day for 12 hours waiting in line, like the back of my hand, get up to the, you know, audition tent, forget the lyrics. Jeez. It's really relating to a lot of news stories today. First, Sean Merriman's knee, her grandma has knee issues. We learned that earlier. Well, she's right. Like, you know,
Nine times out of ten, she'll nail those notes. But when she was on American Idol... I did nail those notes. Don't be a part of that. She didn't say that, Mike. You guys know that song, My Sacrifice, by Creed? Yeah. Great song. Listen to this. This is embarrassing. Her hair is blowing. Big fan. It's in slow motion. Those things are the best. It's amazing. Well said. Brings tears to my eyes. Mine too. All of us, I think. Our Sacrifice. Wow. There it is. That was gross. Here are... Well, don't read into it. Don't analyze that statement. No offense. You know what we haven't heard today? What? Oh, Michael Phelps. Oh, Michael Phelps. You swam away with my heart. Oh, Michael Phelps. You swam away with my heart. I'm joining the pandemonium.
I don't care where you stand on the podium. Just give me your hand to hold. Whether you win on silver or you swim, you swim. A moment on that yesterday. Well, every human being I ran into yesterday said it was the funniest thing they've ever heard. Went into the gas station yesterday and the dude goes, I almost wrecked my car. And so I was listening back to it. And when they. There's about a billion hysterical moments in it, but when in the song she says the part about the podium and Skye very lightly in the background goes, worst lyric in the entire song. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. It's so funny. It is. It's stating facts. Yeah, well, it's true. First time ever the word podium was used in a song. Yes. That's not easy to run. It's never been used in lyrics up to this point.
So here are the text messages coming in at 35253. Here we go. Wrap in. Wouldn't it be crazy if paparazzi showed up in the Bay Area at Sean's office to thank him for his yesterday? Crazy yet likely. Yeah, right? Mikey, I think P1 paparazzi's jacket should definitely have an asterisk next to it. P1 Nikita. Mikey, if paparazzi didn't make it, I would have questioned the legitimacy of the P1 Hall of Fame. Wobby ain't having it. Look at her. She is mad. Wobby, talk to me. Talk to me. Wobby's in the studio. Wobby's in the studio. Come to the mic. Talk to me. What is your issue with P1 paparazzi being in the P1 Hall of Fame? This is just non-Hall of Fame behavior. Talk to me. The caliber of...
the candidates that you have put on the table exude a certain behavior. So does he. There is, no, no, no. Talk to me. Talk to me. Everyone else would and have come into the studio, respected each and every member of this show. He hasn't. He has not. He has not. He has not come in here and respected, nor has he respected the sanctity of what a true P1 is. That is correct. You are rewarding. You are rewarding bad behavior. You are correct. Because I guarantee you he's going to show up at Harrah's Ring Con. That is true. And then he's going to show up at Rob's wedding. Don't. No. Do not say that. Don't say that. Don't say that. Don't say that. Don't run my good time. It will be the most secretive location. It's going to be like J-Lo getting married. There will be more shenanigans from him because you're rewarding bad behavior. You are not saying this is unacceptable. You are saying because you're crazy we're going to put you with the rest of the good Hall of Famers. It's wrong. It's absolutely wrong. It's absolutely wrong.
The problem is that these very things are what make him such a polarizing character. That is what makes him so interesting. Polarizing, yes. Polarizing, yes. Yeah. But Pete Rose isn't in the Hall of Fame, is he? He should be. He should be. He should be. He earned it. He earned it. He earned it. Paparazzi has not earned it. He has not earned it. With stars next to his name. He has repeatedly shown. disrespectful and bad behavior. You can have as many crazy people call you the woman who wanted to discuss Black Friday as a racist thing. She could have made it because she was crazy. Is she in the Hall of Fame? No, no, no. She couldn't. I'll tell you why. I'll tell you why she couldn't make it. She couldn't make it because she is not... She does not have a good agenda but can't get out of her own way. That's paparazzi. See, he wants to be a good guy. He wants to. But let's look at the last 20 phone calls he's made. Oh, I don't want to. I say not far enough. I say go 40. But we can go back to 40. He hasn't added any value. Oh, I disagree. He calls in. Wholesale disagreement. Will you marry me? He calls in. He calls in. And then he.
comes up with some stupid things just to get on the air to try to add something in. And then there's a silent pause while all of you probably look at each other, shake your head. Have you been in here? Because we all know he's making no sense and he's just calling me in because he's paparazzi to get on the air. That is scary. Here, here, here. Cheers, guys. Text message. There are some people that just don't belong in the Hall of Fame. Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, OJ Simpson, and paparazzi. Oh, man. Same breath as OJ. I love it. Oh, man. She's worse. No. Come on, you guys. Mikey, if this were the Stalker Hall of Fame, perhaps. But if that were the case, why doesn't Eddie Stalker have a place in the Hall of Fame? polarizing too. She was brought up and I almost walked out of the room. You didn't find that one? No. Oh, that's weird. Mikey, I'm new to your show and I must say you guys are awesome and hilarious. I listen every morning on my way to work. How do I become a P1? That's Diva. Diva, if you listen to us exclusively, meaning that you do not behave like a listener hooker. Well, what I mean by that is...
Yes, a pro. Thank you. No, what I mean is if you listen to us exclusively and you're not listening to other radio shows, then you're a P1. And if you ever decide that you want to participate and call in, then you turn your radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss. You know the rules. That's a P1. And you tell people about the Mikey Show. And people are doing it and have continued to do it. Let's see. Mikey, congratulations to all. The Hall of Fame inductees. Dot, dot, dot. Except for paparazzi. There it is. Mikey, did you guys see Olympic fast walking last night? Hilarious. Dude, I could do that sport. Did you guys do that? I haven't seen that. That is so hilarious. How do they do, like... I'll show you, Mikey. I know, but... Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, wow, wow, wow. Eddie's doing it. Eddie's doing it. Eddie's got it. Head down more. See, Rob's his coach. Get your head. There you go. Oh, there it is. Oh, you're quiet. Get it. Oh, no. It's like Mary Duckertown. That was close. Mary Duckertown. We need video. Oh, man. But gold medalist. Oh, he just threw up. He just threw up. He's throwing up. He's throwing up. He's throwing up. Oh, no. Oh, my gosh. He is so.
He has been in training. This man has given his life to this sport. He has been training now for... Months and months on end. I've been actually walking for like 30 some odd years. Really is amazing. 35 years of age is an inspiration. We've only gotten to the serious training lately. I've been doing a lot of get off the couch, go walk to the fridge. That's right. Hustle's over there. Get back here. He really has gotten amazing. Rob has really taught me a lot about walking. He's been training in aisle nine at Stater Brothers for the last two weeks. He's really gotten to a point where he's just up there and he's competing. You are good. The East Germans have done a great job traditionally in the walking competition. So good there's not even an East Germany anymore. That's right. They were able to walk themselves out of being a country. Mike, about 21 years ago. But who's counting, you know? Tear down that wall. The whole thing about the wall. Yeah, Mike. Tear down. And then there's just Germany. Anyway. Tear down this wall. Okay. That joke is on delay. Just got here from 87.
Kramer vs. Kramer was actually out. Do not kiss the crowd. Do not kiss the crowd. No one encouraged this behavior. No. It's way off. I'm parade waving. You deserve it. Listen, as you could expect, the phones are blowing up. They are blowing up. I'm ready for it. I wonder what everyone's saying. Take it down a notch. It's a lot of people that feel... Hang on a second. Caller, who I'm about to get to here are P1s that are feeling dissed. Oh, I understand. Sure. Basically, the sentiment is, why him, not me? Okay. That's who we're about to hear from. Why him, not me? Okay. We can do this. P1 Scooby is on there. Oh, we know. Scoob? Hey, what's going on, guys? Scoob, I'll be straight. I'll be honest. Before you go any further. Go ahead. Yeah. I don't want to give that impression that I feel dissed. Hey, I give all the props to everybody that's in the Hall of Fame, even Paparazzi. Because he has been a long-time listener. I feel a butt comma coming up. No, it's no butt comma. I just wanted to know how do I get into the tournament. Oh, how do you get into the poker tournament?
Yeah, I don't have any malice, Mikey, you know. Well, that's why he's on the line, by the way. I mean, this is why he called in. You know, it just so happened he called in to ask this question during the portion of the show where we're asking for people that feel they should have been in the P1 house. Weird timing. He can. You can pay. There's no passive aggression. No, not at all. I don't sense any. I don't sense any. No, what you could do is you could pay to get into that thing, right, Eddie? There's 150 spots of it, or 120 now. 120 spots are available. So the next 120 can get into that poker tournament, and it costs $30. It costs $30. I would like to say something about Scooby. Yes, I think you should. Scooby, Scooby, if there were eight spots you were in, you were maybe the last guy that was argued about back and forth. We just felt that lately we haven't heard from you as much, and it hurt your eligibility just slightly. So that, you know. You just got to step it up a little bit more, and 2009 has your name on it. Hey, listen, if we were doing this voting in January, it'd be a no-brainer. But we haven't heard from Scooby in so long, it's almost hard to say it, and there would be a significant portion of the audience that would be like, who's Scooby? But there was a long discussion about Scooby. Yeah. So what you're saying is, I'm just like the Chargers and Choking in the playoffs? That is correct. Hey! Hey!
a Charger fan. He's not a Charger fan. Alright, Scooby, thank you, brother. I love you guys. Love you. Mikey, in defense to paparazzi, I actually like the guy. He really means no harm. That's P1 Sanjaya. Mikey, Ashley sounds like a deaf person trying to talk when she sings. It creeps me out, dude. Mikey, there's an article at TheOnion.com stating Michael Phelps returned to his tank at SeaWorld. Hilarious. Mikey, have you guys considered having paparazzi photograph Rob's wedding? No. Have you hired a photographer? He'll do it for free. Have you hired a photographer? He's going to be there anyway. Maybe he could be like an artist and paint like an oil painting. Or like a caricature. Portrait, yes. I will do that. Maybe he could do shadow puppets of the wedding as it's going on. Set up a projector. That's right. Mikey, Eddie should take a crazy and obscene amount of pictures when you induct P1 paparazzi. I probably won't be there. You're going to be there. We all are going to be there. We're going to stay a couple nights at Harrah's. We'll see. Listen to this.
This one is in regard to P1 Whoopi's comments. It says as follows. That's why he's in the Hall of Fame. P1 Whoopi obviously listens to him a lot by citing all of his phone calls. That's what makes him who he is. P1 T-Mac. Wow. Oh, controversial. He's shown true commitment, Mikey. Deep down, there's a little stalker in all the P1s, wouldn't you say? I would. I would. He just has class while doing it. That's P1 Donkey. This one says, P1 Paparazzi is actually a decent guy. Sometimes a bit off the mark, but he has good intentions. I'm stoked that he made it into the Hall of Fame. P1 Space Boy. Spoken like a true gentleman. Like a true gentleman. The ambassador of P1s. I like that Paparazzi. I think that Paparazzi is awesome. He's everything a Hall of Famer should be by doing extraordinary things to leave impressions good or bad. That one wasn't signed. They didn't have the guts. That was probably from him. Let's see who else is calling in that feels that they should have made it and are wondering why. P1300 is on the line. His name was brought up. Where's the ninth spot was I in? I got to tell you, Mikey was a big fan of yours and really fought for you. He did. He did. That was rude.
Wait, what did she say? I missed it. You didn't. No, I said Mikey really fought for you, but we didn't. Oh, we didn't. Well, listen, 300, you, this is what everybody agreed on. You've been making an impression for about a year. I agree. And the Hall of Famers have been with us pretty much since the beginning. Now. 09? 09. 300, you got a real good shot. I'm looking forward to that. We'll see what happens between now and next year. If you drop off the planet, obviously, we don't want you calling us in a year. Don't rest on your laurels, you guys, because you can see what happens. That's right. All I got to say is, though, congratulations, Quimby, Spaceboy, Sanjaya, all those guys, Danny, they're all awesome. All I got to say about paparazzi is, you know, when everyone's up at Harrah's, you guys might want to, like, deadbolt your room. Come on. We have to go under other names. I'm going under Minnie Mouse. Daryl Johnston. I don't know. That's what I always go under. P1 Quimby would like to defend. See, the Hall of Famers are coming to his defense. P1 Quimby is on the line. What are you doing?
I cannot believe I'm doing this. Okay. But he really does have the best intentions. You know what I mean? Yeah. And I have struck up a deal with paparazzi that I will actually pre-screen his phone calls before... And I'll give him the red light or the green light. Like, yeah, not so good. Or, yeah, you know, that's a great topic. Yeah. He really is a good guy. He called me two days ago, and I almost fell down. You don't know how he got your number is what you're saying. And he was standing behind her. Yeah, that's right. He was in her bathtub. Wearing her clothes. It's just a joke. It's true. But I think it's going to be a good time, and I really think he's going to behave himself. And I think I will also filter his speech for him so it doesn't suck. There you go. Good idea. Thank you, Quimby. Love you guys. You guys want to hear from more people that think they maybe should have made it and they're wondering? Ladies and gentlemen, Ayo is on. Let me tell you something. Address this, Mike. Let me tell you something, Ayo. If there was an eighth spot. Wait, we've already said that. Ayo? Ayo. Hold up. Hold up. Wait a minute. Yeah. Ayo. Yeah.
You were almost as controversial in that office as paparazzi for the opposite reason. Yeah. You're the best. Yeah. You know. Oh, my God. You guys really think so? Okay. Well, he's doing his white guy character. Yeah. He's doing his white guy character. Nail, let me tell you something. If you continue at this pace, you're going to shatter records and you are first ballot 09, not even a question mark. Yeah, you're like Usain Bolt. You'll be like Usain Bolt. Hey, I'm shattering records like throwing bottles in the glass house. Know what I mean? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Hey, I just really wanted to call to say, you know, congratulations to everybody that made it. And I wanted to also let y'all know I'm officially on the P1 website. How did you do it? You don't have a computer. Hey, Diddy, what's up? How'd you get so rich to get that thing? Last time we talked to you, you said you're not Diddy. You can't afford one of those deals. What happened? I had to go to my neighbor's house. You were the best. You were the best. That's great. Hey, you know what? I gotta do what I gotta do. Hey, listen. Ayo. What up? Eddie?
campaigned for you. That's my boy, dude. And Eddie was relentless. Oh, yeah. You know, because I had basically said, we had talked about it, and I said, listen, not this year. He's great, but he hasn't been, like, he's one of those guys about a year or two, and it would get dropped, and Eddie would go, like, five minutes go by, Eddie would go, let's discuss AO again. But realistically speaking, I'm not even mad. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. I really want to congratulate them. I think they're all good P1s. They all have something to contribute to the show. You know what I mean? Yeah. He's rookie of the year. And next year, man. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Ayo, give us a live scream. That's so good. All right, Ayo. Thanks, man. We'll see you. Thanks. Okay, now the calls are just reactionary from other people. So call us, 570-1053. Paparazzi has made it into the Hall of Fame. And there is a great question up there from P1 Hampooned. What hampooned? He's got a great question, and we'll talk about it when we get back. Also, when we come back, we're going to do Battle of the Sexes today. Don't worry, we're going to get to it.
But when we come back, I'm going to play you the reaction from Jessica Simpson about the Carrie Underwood comment that Jessica Simpson's boyfriend, Tony Romo, still calls her. Also on the show today, Catherine McPhee and San Diego Padre Adrian Gonzalez. Don't know it. The jeans of a frog with the jeans of a carrot. Big deal. I'm bringing in jeans from Old Navy that I got for 12 bucks. What's the big deal about bringing in Old Navy jeans? I made an orange huge sale on denim for just one day only. Where you can buy five pocket jeans for adults for just $12. Jeans for kids. You are so gonna win. Supplies are limited. Restriction supplies Saturday only. Limit three per customer. See store for details. From the Cricket Wireless Studios. He's not playing. He's not joking. He's not joking. K.I.
San Diego's Rock. Mikey Show's on. Featuring Mikey. I'm 36 years old. I have a sensitivity to sugar. I'm dumb. I can't be a doctor. You are a doctor. Just because I like to be sensitive to other people's feelings. But it doesn't do any good. Sean. Everybody enjoys a good thumbs up once in a while. That's right. And Ashley. I'm really bad at describing things. On 5-3. Good job, Seth. One. Jerry Seinfeld. that signed a $10 million deal to be the new face of Microsoft. The top-ranked women's water polo team is upset 98 by the Netherlands in the gold medal game. Ladies and gentlemen, a new film out this weekend that Sky's already seen and says is hysterical. Oh, I loved it. 38. Oh, Sean didn't know we were coming back so quick, so Sean's not there. Oh, is he not there? Yeah. My sound effects guy is gone. Yeah, because we had to come back really quick. You want me and Sky to act it out? Yeah, why don't you guys act out the scene? Yeah, the Playboy.
Catherine McPhee. Wait, no, no. Isn't that part of it? That's not how it goes. On the phone with us right now, one of the stars of the new movie House Bunny, Catherine McPhee. Hey. How are you? Hi. I'm good. You guys are funny. Ah, we don't ever hear that. Catherine, how are you this morning? I'm doing well, thank you. Is it pretty cool being a movie star in... In addition to being a great singer. Well, thank you. I don't know if I would use the term movie star. It's only my first movie. But I'm very excited. I mean, we had an amazing premiere on Wednesday night. And I'm really, really excited about this movie. I'm so happy with the finished product. And it's my first movie. Yeah. Of course I'm excited. Catherine McPhee. We all got to know her because she was on American Idol. Lost to Taylor Hicks.
And, yeah, it was one of those things where that was, talk about polarizing. Most people thought that Catherine McPhee was going to win American Idol that season. What is it like now, this far away from it, Catherine? Yeah, it's like a different, it was like it was a different world, a different era, a different time. Time has gone by so quickly. And it's been, gosh, it's been like three years now. Is there a part of you that wishes that you could be where you are now, but that it didn't have to involve American Idol? You know, I've never even actually thought about that. I think Idol has been an amazing thing for me. I just was quoted in an article the other day saying that, you know, if I came from American Idol, I came from American Idol. I don't look back. I don't have regrets.
I don't wish that I hadn't come from where I came from. Everyone has to get a start somewhere. And that was my start. And I'm really grateful for it. And I'm really grateful that I've been able to come off of it and do great things like this movie that's opening today. House Bunny. So how did this come about? Before this, had you been an actress? Did you have any experience acting? Yeah, you know, I went to college for three semesters. I dropped out because I came back to L.A., where I'm from, to continue. You know, I got an agent. They wanted me to start going out for television film. And so I decided to do that first. And so I was pursuing television film and happened to just, oh, gosh, just, you know, many people telling me I should audition for the show. And so I fell into that. It was sort of my plan all along. Going on the show, I, of course, wanted to get a record deal, but I also knew that it would just give me great exposure, and I'd be able to get really great representation, which I have. I have an amazing team that I love and really fights for me. So I came off the show, I put out my record, and then I was starting to go on some auditions, and this was the first movie that I booked. Would you like to do, I mean, if it were up to you, would you like to do both, or would you rather put all your...
I would love to do both. I mean, right now I'm recording my second record that'll be out in spring of 09. And so it's not like I'm trying to do one over the other. Are you there, Catherine? Co-star of the new movie House Bunny coming out in theaters today. Hello. Did she have another call? I don't, I don't, I don't really know. Oh, my girlfriend. Well, I don't know why you sing that right now. Oh, Catherine McPhee. Okay. You just hung up on me. Well, I don't know. I think she's disconnected. She got disconnected. What happened? Oh, wait, we'll see. Maybe she'll call back. Weird. It sounded like somebody was trying to call in on her other line. That's what I thought I was hearing. Okay, well. But I still have more questions. I want to hear about the movie. No, she lost all that weight. She lost a bunch of weight for it? Is she real thin in the movie?
Wow, Sky just got to look. She lost like 30 pounds from when she first was on American Idol until like now. Is she real skinny? She's not. I mean, she's a curvy girl. Because in the movie, she plays a pregnant girl. So, I mean, so I wouldn't say she specifically lost the weight. And he's like, oh, wow. And it's real interesting because they don't like actually like really address it at all. She's just one of the girls in the sorority house and she's like eight, nine months pregnant. For real? Yeah, and you only see her at the very end of the movie for, like, a second not pregnant. Like, the whole movie, she's pregnant. That's crazy. But they don't really talk about it? No, like, I was expecting some point in the movie, like, some sort of backstory about how she got all knocked up. You know, occasionally they'd, like, make a joke about it. Yeah, it's kind of a trip. I want to ask. Hi, Catherine. Catherine, what's going on? What are you doing to her, Mike? There she is. Hi, Catherine. Conversation with myself, I guess. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's weird. So our news girl, Skye, was just telling us that she loved the movie. She thinks the movie's hysterical. It was so funny. Good. I'm happy to hear that. Okay, so question. She says that in the movie, your character is pregnant, but they don't really talk about it. They don't really address it. No, they don't. I mean, well, they do. They do in that one. Yeah.
I mean, there's, like, jokes made about it and stuff, but was that part, like, cut out of the movie, or was it never intended to talk about, like, how you got all knocked up? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was never part of the storyline. It was just sort of, like, one of the, you know, just one of the weird, quirky things that, you know, Adam Sandler produced this movie, so it has a lot of, like, kind of outlandish characters. Like, he just randomly decided someone was going to be pregnant, you know? Whoa. It kind of adds to the quirkiness of the sorority. Right. Is it Elliot Yameen's baby? Yes. Why would it be, I mean? That's fantastic. That would be cool if it was. Catherine, I asked this. Yeah, no. I asked this question. I asked this question of a lot of people. Who is the most famous name in your cell phone? Oh, gosh. Let's see. Don't say Ryan Seacrest. Yes, don't say Ryan Seacrest. Ryan Seacrest. That exciting, to be honest. Come on, there's got to be a huge... Is Adam Sandler in there? Let's see. I'm going through it right now. Yeah. I've got Babyface. Nice! That's a huge name. Now, do you list him as Babyface? No, I have him under Kenny. Or Mr. Face. Yes, Mr. Face. If I had said Kenny, you guys would have been like, who? Yeah, yeah, yeah. But that's good, because if anybody ever gets the phone, they don't know who Kenny is. They're not interested. I have Pink's number. Nice. What do you call her?
Dink. Oh, wow. Max, man, I've got quite a few people. Rumor Willis. Nice. Yeah, she's in the movie, too. She's in there, too. Are you guys buddies now? Yeah, we've been buddies since we started working on the movie. I was asking everybody about Anna Faris, and, man, she seems hysterical. Oh, she is. Like, it was a laugh-out-loud trailer. Just watching the trailer, I was laughing out loud at the house bunny. Yeah, Anna is so funny. She is really, really endearing in the movie. Is it Anna? Yes, it is. It's not Anna? No, it's Anna. Anna. I wish I knew stuff. I don't know anything. That's all right. Well, I'm pretty out of it. Possibly no. Let's see. Have some people... Now, we've been hearing some comparisons with House Bunny and Legally Blonde. Do you think that there's a comparison that that's legit? Well, I think that's legit to say. I mean, they're two totally different movies, but the same writers who wrote Legally Blonde wrote this movie. So that's not odd that people are comparing it. But what's great about it, the difference between, obviously the storylines are entirely different, but the same writers who wrote Legally Blonde, and imagine Adam Sandler's humor tied in with that. So it makes like a perfect combination of like the chick flick meets like the bro.
The bro kind of movie. I want to meet the human being that came up with the idea of the house bunny memorizing people's names by saying it all crazy. Yeah, isn't that hilarious? That's like the funniest part in the whole movie. It's awesome. That was the director, Fred Wolf, and Anna kind of like exploring ideas. He just said, he told Anna, like, just come up with a weird way to say their names. Came up with that. She does the... We've been doing it here on the show to each other. Catherine McPhee. She is a co-star in the new movie House Bunny that is out in theaters today. And she sings in the movie, too. I do. I randomly sing at the end with all the other girls rapping behind me and doing background vocals. That's funny. Now, was that the director's idea? Was he like, you want to sing something? Or how did that come up? The producer just wanted to remake the song I Know What Boys Like, so we all just got in the studio and did it for fun and as like a tight end credit type thing. You're young. Did you know the song? Were you familiar with that song? I wasn't, but... That's a trip. Man, that makes me feel old. I'm old. That makes me feel so old. I'm 38 years old and it makes me feel very old, but it's all right because, I mean, you're young. What are you going to do? What are you going to do? Hey, we're all...
young at one point and we all get old. That's right. That's right. All right, Catherine, listen, thank you for coming on. It's a great movie. People should go see it. Definitely. You're hot. Eddie, you're hot too. Hey, my dad is going to freak out that we had you on, by the way, because my dad, my dad, oh, he loves you so much. You're so beautiful. Classic beauty. Thank you, Catherine. Bye. We appreciate it. Bye-bye. Sorry, Rob. Did I wake you? Was he napping? What? What? What? What, Rob? We're going to get the real story from Chantel. This one. Right here. What? What's going on? Just drop my jaw. Chantel did? Oh. What did she say? I need a second. What did she say? Oh, I got to know. I'm not going to say it. Let's take a break. Let's take a break. Come back and find out what she said. What the heck? Want to do that? We'll find out during the break what Chantel just said.

Ladies and gentlemen, BMW Encinitas, the greatest BMW dealership in San Diego, committed to making you feel the same way. And they're doing it throughout this entire month. They're doing a red tag sale, which is really cool. What it is, is they've gone through and specially marked down cars. And yesterday I was blown away. I was walking through there and I was looking at the red tags and right up on the red tag, it'll say like $3,000 off. So when you go to the sticker and you look at the sticker on the side of the car, your eyes bug out and you go, holy cow, that's all? Why are they doing that? They're doing it because they want me to talk about it and you go there. They realize they're not going to make as much money as they would normally make, but they also realize that you will get to experience them and they will become the number one BMW dealership in San Diego County, which I am 100% confident is going to happen.
BMW Encinitas is located on Encinitas Boulevard between El Camino Real and The Five. The Mikey Show. It's another Mikey moment. Listen, I want to be clear. It's not that I'm a bleeding heart. I think the cop did exactly what the cop was supposed to do. He pulled somebody over that was going over 100 miles an hour. It was just, I said that he was very insensitive, and he was. I have a question. Yeah. What if you have Snoop Doggy Dogg in your car and he's choking? What about that? Technically, you do have a dog, but you also have a human. And then what? Wrap your head around. Does he have a dog in the car? What if you're in the car listening to Dog Day Afternoon? What about that? It's a good tune, bro. Trip out. Trip out on that. Talk 105.3. It's a Mikey show. It is 849.
Barack Obama says that he has decided who he wants to be his vice president. I don't want to do this tease. What? Adrian's on hold. Just whisper it. Padres. It's a sports headline. Nobody heard it. He's not doing it. I don't want to say it. Nobody heard it. Adrian Gonzalez is on the line. Hi, Adrian. How you doing? How are you? Good. We're the man. Adrian Gonzalez, first baseman for the San Diego Padres. And? He's also going to be a celebrity waiter. Is that correct? I'm actually going to be a celebrity chef. I'll be the one doing the food. Are you serious? Wow. Yeah, me and Heath Bell. Are you good at that? Can you cook? Yeah, I've done it the last couple of years. And, you know, there hasn't been any complaints so far. So, you know, I'm excited to do it again. What's your favorite thing to make? Like, what do you make that's like if you were going to have people over to the house and you wanted to cook?
To impress, what would you make? Let me see. You know, I'd probably make some kind of a Mexican dish that, you know, I would say. No, chile relleno. Oh, yes. Oh, Mike. I love the chile relleno. Is that good how I said that? Yeah, it's like, wow. You're Mexican, Mike. Yeah, I am Mexican, but I do not speak Spanish. Shame on you. But I love to eat Mexican food. Yeah. Adrian, so tell people what this is and what you're going to be doing. What it is, it's an event that's going to launch the foundation that my wife and I, the Adrian and Betsy Gonzalez Foundation. We're going to have it at Aco Al Due on Fifth Avenue.
It's going to be celebrity waiters where the Padres will be waiters, bartenders, and chess. And we will have a five-course dinner that you can go out and have or this standing room bar. It's $195 for the dinner and $50 for the bar. And, you know, it's just a night of fun. We're just going to be there at the game on Wednesday coming up that we play the Diamondbacks. We're just going to have a lot of fun. We're going to be there and get to hang out with the fans, get to enjoy a good dinner, and it's all for a good cause. Nice. Adrian Gonzalez, do you remember your very first Major League Baseball home run? Yes, I do. Talk to me. What was it? Walk me through this moment. It was actually pretty cool. I was in Texas for my third home game in Texas when I first got called up. Prior to my at-bat, Kevin Mench and Lance Nix had gone back-to-back. I came up and Kevin Jarvis was pitching. I believe it was a 2-2 count. He threw me a changeup and I was able to hit the third home run in a row. It was my first home run.
No, that had to feel good. That's awesome. That had to feel good. If you had to put a percentage on it, Adrian, what percentage of the game is mental? You know, I do believe it's somewhere around the 80% number. It's 80 to 90. Oh, my. So you're telling me that if a dude was able to just somehow figure it out mentally, he could be an all-star? Yeah, I mean, part of the mental part is the grind. The fact that it's such a long season, a lot of the slumps and a lot of the things that happen for a person when they go into a bad routine is because mentally they went into something that created the bad mechanics. And so that's one of the biggest parts is I believe that the people that are extremely good and end up being ulcers every year.
do the same thing over and over and over, and they believe in what they do, and that's what makes them be so good. Adrian Gonzalez on the phone. Adrian, is it true that you are from San Diego? Yes, I was born in San Diego, and I was raised on both sides of the border. This really, really does have to be kind of like living out some kind of dream. Oh, it has been, yeah. Growing up, my dream was to play for the Padres, And, you know, it was my brother's dream also and our family's dream. And, you know, we were able to make that a reality, you know, over the last couple of years. Yeah, now Edgar plays on the team with you. And so do you sometimes kind of look over in the dugout and just kind of trip out on your reality? Yeah, no, I mean, you know, it is pretty neat. Not a lot of people get to experience it this way. And, you know, for us, it has...
become kind of like where we've got to pinch ourselves once in a while to make it feel like if it is real. Eddie has a question. Go ahead. Adrian, you play in a very difficult ballpark, Petco Park. Tell us, as a fan, why is it so hard to hit balls out of that ballpark? It's just by the water and there's a marine layer. The air is really thick. You can hit it, and it's not going to go as far as it would at other places. You know, I think a ball that you would hit 400 feet at Petco would probably go about 420 feet, 415 feet on the road. Tell me about it. I do it all the time. Okay. That doesn't make any sense. You don't do it. In batting practice. You never do it. When I'm in batting practice. You never have athletic at all. That's right. Nope. I forgot. So, I mean, you know, I think more than anything, it's just that. Should we cap it, put a dome on that sucker? What do you think? Cap it. You know, I think they're having plans to possibly bring the fences in for next year, and hopefully that'll help a little bit. You're going to hit 50. No. Come on. Adrian Gonzalez, are you a locker room hijinks guy? What do you mean by hijinks? I mean practical jokes. Prankster. No, I would say I'm pretty...
Pretty low-key, pretty, you know, just relaxed guy. Have you been the victim of such a type of person? No, I wouldn't say I've been a victim of a practical joke. You know, I think because I am, you know, pretty low-key to myself. You know, guys won't take me out as a person to... Even Greg Maddox. Greg Maddox has not walked up to you and said, pull my finger. He does that. He does. I read that Greg Maddox will tell the guys, pull my finger, and then he'll, you know, do his thing. Yeah, I mean, Greg's a great guy. He does. He never did it to me, so... There you go. Well, you're a fortunate man. That's a bummer. You're a fortunate man. Now, a couple other things before I let you go. What pitcher do you dread seeing on the mound? I guess I really struggled against a reliever for the Marlins. His name's Neil Pinto. Wow. Does it get in your head like when you're going up there, are you thinking about that? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm just, you know, I pretty much.
And it's part of the mental thing where I go up there now and I'm like, I'm probably going to make an out, but if I get a hit, it'll just be a bonus. And who do you kind of like to hit? I don't know. Anybody that throws 88 down the middle, I guess. So half the league then, huh? Hey, Adrian, what was it like playing in your first All-Star game at Yankee Stadium? Oh, that was amazing. The pregame ceremony tonight, everything that went with it was a great experience. And, you know, being at Yankee Stadium was unbelievable. So, you know, it was definitely a great place for it to be the first one. Adrian, how about that home run derby? Holy moly. Yeah, that was, you know, Josh Hamilton's got unreal power. Was there a moment from that weekend, Adrian, for you that you kind of stands out in your head? I would say the pregame ceremony. That was the biggest thing for having all the Hall of Famers there and being on the field with all of them. That was a great time. Let's talk about this thing one more time, what you're going to be doing, when, and how people can get involved. Yeah, it's this Wednesday, and all proceeds, like I said, will go to the foundation that my wife and I just established. They can get their dinner.
or their attendance at aginzoss23.com, which is my website. There's a banner there. You click on that, it'll take you to our foundation, and you can buy your seat there. Or they can go into the restaurant's website at aquaildoit.com, and there's going to be a link to click on that there as well. Either one, they both take you right to it. And like I said, it's going to be a night of fun. Just hang out with us. be able to, we'll be waiting on you. That sounds awesome. Yeah, who are some of the Padre players that are going to be there doing this? Well, like I said, Heath Bell and myself will be behind in the kitchen. Cooking. We'll be cooking. We'll have Clay Hansley said he's going to be bartending, Chase Headley, Nick Hundley. They'll be either waiting or bartending. We've had Kevin Kuzminoff will be there. What about Peavy? Is he going to be there? Yeah, I think he's got another event, but I think he's going to try to either make it before or after. Awesome! What about your brother? Yeah, Edgar will be there. My brother will be there. Right now, I think if we get a hard number, we're saying 10 to 12 guys will be there, but then there's some that are still on that in between where they possibly will, they possibly won't. Adrian, we have a lot of listeners.
Hopefully we'll get that thing packed for you. I appreciate it. We've had a lot of fun the last couple of years, so this year should be a lot of fun again. There's going to be some live auction items as well that I've been working hard to get from the teams we're playing against. There's going to be a lot of cool items that they can bid on. Cool. Well, we appreciate it. Thank you, Adrian. We appreciate you coming on. Thank you. We'll talk to you later. That's Adrian Gonzalez. That guy's a... That guy's very, very, very talented. He does stuff that most of us don't do. Oh, yeah. Okay, should we bring the handicapper on now? Sure, you can if you want to. We do that? Because I really want to talk to this guy. And he's a P1. Oh, wow. Nice. Awesome. He's going to be talking about the Pacific Classic at Del Mar. You know Del Mar where the surf meets the turf? Oh, I've heard of that. At Del Mar. At Del Mar. This guy's wearing her giant hat right now. This is really cool. It's beautiful. Thank you. Thank you. It's awkward with the headphones, but I do pull it off. I do. I don't know how you do it. I really do. I don't know how you do it. Thank you. Let's see. Here he is. He's coming in the studio, and we're going to ask him a bunch of questions. It's so cool that the guy, it turns out he's a P1. Yeah. You're a P1, right? Oh, yeah. And how long have you been listening?
I listen pretty much all the time. I used to live here actually three, four years ago. So up in Carlsbad, I lived up there listening all the time. Now, you're a handicapper for horse races. So you can explain to us. Well, I don't even know what a handicapper is. So can we start there? Yeah, yeah. Explain what it is you do. Well, pretty much I take all the races and I look over each individual race and try to pick the winners. And how long have you been doing that? I've been doing that probably for about five or six years now. Now, who taught you how to do it? I pretty much taught myself. Really? Through a whole bunch of losing. You know, when you're kind of losing your own money, you want to see where you can get better and where you can make money. So you just kind of teach yourself and learn and see where you made mistakes and learn from that. Okay, now tell me this, because it seems like if anybody really had it figured out, they'd be a gajillionaire, right? Right. And just when you, like, when I go in there, I always buy Duke's and Bedeker's little cheat sheet. Right, right. When you walk in, Sky, they have this booth. And there's a couple of dudes that every day they sell for five bucks or three bucks. Duke and Bedeker? Duke and Bedeker. They're the ones who are there selling things? They sell these little sheets and you buy it and they tell you who they think is going to win the race.
And what I do is I take the racing form. The racing form tells you who they think is going to win. I compare it to the other guys. This guy thinks this horse is going to win. This guy thinks this horse is going to win. And you go, yeah, sure. Michael Corleone did this. Michael Corleone did that. Listen. Because I don't know. And so I look at the three of them and then I just put it together. And then some horse. you know, like doodoo runner or something, you know, in the pink sash, that one ends up winning. That's the one that wins, you know? And so how did you do this? How did you figure? And, and I'm sure that that still happens to you a great deal of time. And it's always the pink one. It's always the pink one. Don't bet on pink is what you're saying. Okay. But, but, but.
It's happened for you enough to where you've done good to where you go, hey, I can actually do this pretty good. Right. And, you know, the bad thing is, is that they still have to run the race. I mean, you kind of wish they run the paper race all the time. You'd always be a winner. Right. You know, they still are animals and they still have to go out there and run the race. So what can you tell us? Like, especially somebody like Sky, because Sky is like, OK, I'm going for a day. I'm going to have fun with my friends. And I just I want to pick a horse with a cute name. Well, that's the scientific way of doing it. That's what I was thinking. Half the time that works. You know, that actually works a lot. It really does work a lot. I'm really good. Yeah. But what would you tell somebody like Sky? They're going for the first time to the horse race. And they're like, I'm going to open up that little sheet that tells about the horses, and I want to make heads or tails. And believe me, buddy, I got a ton of money. That's right. Shut up. I got a lot. Listen. If I'm going to spend a million dollars over the weekend, I want to make sure my money is going to a good place. I buy and sell people like you every day. Shut up. I was into horse racing for five minutes last year. I'll add you to my staff. Yes. What's your name, young man? Can he just answer the question? Now I'm into glue factories.
That is not nice. So what could you tell her? What would you say? I would say probably the best thing to do is actually look at the horses. Do you mean like from your seat? Yeah, actually looking at the horses is really important. It can tell you really a lot about how the horses go. I've never been to the races. So are you talking about actually from your seat look at the horses? Or can you go down there and say what up? You can go down to the paddock where they pretty much saddle. The paddock. Tell her what a paddock is. It's pretty much where they get saddled, where the walking ring is. What's a saddle? You know, where the jockeys are and all the owners and stuff. And you can actually tell a lot about how the horse is going to run, but just watch it. Okay, questions, questions. Now, Sky, up on the TV monitors, they show that. They show him walking. Because I guess he's right. People want to see them walk around. So they show him on the TV monitor before every race. You look up there and you see them walking. Yeah. In the paddock. But it's probably better to go down there because you can really get a vibe for their personality. I guess so. And you can only see so much on the TV. Now, my wife is actually pretty good at this. I'm not kidding. Like, if I added it all up, she's probably won our friends, like, two grand. Wow. All in all. Like, because her grandfather...
taught her how to do it. Nice. And so we go in there and she goes, yeah, see? Now this right here, man. And then you put this LASIK together with this right here, see? And then when this one runs and this one will win, this one will try. Yeah. But what I was going to say is she always freaks out whenever the horses get riled up. Yeah. Because when they're putting them in, Skye, when they're putting them in the, what do they call it? The chute? The gate. The gate. When they're putting them in there and they like go... Okay. Mike, you don't need to do that. You don't need to do that. That is weird. Rebecca's like, Rebecca goes, oh no, babe, that's bad. She thinks that's real bad. Is it? That's true. That's true, yeah. Look at her. You know, my friend and I have a term. We don't like to see the horse get all nimbly-bimbly. Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Scientific term. Don't get all nimbly-bimbly, I'm in. Right. Duh. Duh. So when they do that, why? Does that mean they don't feel like it that day? Well, you know, I think they're just exerting all their energy right there. They're leaving their race at the gate. Yeah, they got a lot on their mind. Right. I'm not thinking about the race. Nimbly Bimbly, the name of my first servant. That's right. And then he passed away from whip marks. And then I got Ramsey. Nimbly Bimbly, get over here. Appeared to me. Speaking of glue.
Got a pretty penny if I am. All right, everyone. So I actually wondered to myself, those ones that get all nimbly bimbly, do they ever go on to win the race or very rarely? Very rarely. Yeah. Very rarely. Okay, so listen to this. So if you bet on one of those and you see them freaking out, you might as well just go, okay, well, let's go. Can you still bet when you see that or is it too late? Well, yeah. Depending on, you can bet up until I open the gate. So if you actually see them freak out in the gate, I've actually seen them do that and actually run to the windows and canceled my ticket. Really? Yeah. Smart. And they give you your money back. Oh, yeah. Nice. Wow. Okay. My wife just IM'd me a message she wants me to ask. She says, tell him that I always bet an Xacta box and a horse to show. She does. She always does an Xacta box and then picks one that she wants to show. Right. She says, ask if there's a smart bet or if there's something better that she could do. No, not really.
The X-Acto box is always a good bet, the first and second horse. Betting to show, you're not going to make a lot of money to show, but you'll probably cash a lot of tickets. What does that mean, you'll probably cash a lot of tickets? Well, if you bet $2 a show on a horse, he might pay $2.40. Okay. So then you might cash, but you're going to make like $0.40 a race. Right. Rob is blown away by that. $0.40? That's 700 cans. Sky, an exacto box. Oh, no. Exacto box means you pick two horses, they can come in first or second either way, and you win. Why don't they call it first and secondies? I don't know. An exacto box? They might in Dum Dum Land. Who comes up with these? I know. I'm just saying. I hurt you. I hurt you. I don't know these things. I live in Dum Dum Land. I don't know. I don't know. I think it's so interesting. Yeah, yeah. I don't know any of this. Yeah, well, it teaches you a lot. What is the little... LASIK thing mean? It's eye surgery. It makes you see that. You got it done. Let me tell you what I've heard. Because everybody has a different... You talk to people and they go, everybody says something different. Some of the horses, when you look at the racing form, have an L with a circle around it. It means LASIK, right? Here's what I've heard. That horse...
Don't tell me until I give you all the options. Oh, no. One thing I've heard, that horse is on its period. I'm not kidding. I've heard that. I'm not kidding. I've heard that. That's the truth. It's the truth. I'm not kidding. I've heard that. I've heard that. That's one thing I've heard. Another thing I've heard. Rob. Did you hear him? No, I didn't, and I'm glad because I could tell by the reaction it was stupid. He asked if Eddie bought the horse tampons. That's funny. Okay, that's pretty funny. It is pretty funny. Because Eddie had to do that the other day. Eddie is glaring at Robin. Okay, so that's one thing I've heard. The other thing I've heard is that that horse has had shots of something, and so it's got some kind of shots in it. And the other thing that I've heard is that it's done a couple of Cabo Wabos. And then the other thing that I've heard, is that it's had LASIK eye surgery. What? I'm sorry. Oh, really, Mr. Horst? Oh, Sean. Oh, Sean knows everything. Oh, Sean's smarter than everyone. Is it even any of those? No. No. From those three, no. Really? Yeah. So what is LASIK? It's an anti-diuretic medication.
It's basically for... I have to eat that when I'm doing cheese, when I'm going to eat cheese. When I'm doing cheese. When I'm doing cheese. When I'm doing a rail of cheese. When I put a big fat rail of cheese on. It helps with the wings, you know. To keep them from bleeding during the race. It keeps what? To keep them from bleeding during the race. Really? Where would they bleed? Why would they bleed? From their lungs. Really? Why would they bleed from their lungs? In case they do. I don't take that when I get up at Rolls. Are there some more prone to that than others? Probably, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Question, question. If I see... I'll ask, don't worry. But if I see L with a circle, is that good or bad? Pretty much every horse now runs on it. Really? So I wouldn't say it's good or bad. Okay. It's just kind of, it's just, no, it's not. So every horse runs on it. Yeah. So it doesn't really matter. So it doesn't really matter. Okay. Do you bet? Yes. What do you, tell me a bet, like what would it be a bet that you would make? Oh yeah, Scott wants me to ask. Two dollars across the board. Wait, Scott wants me to ask. And I don't know either. Why do they bleed from their lungs? Why do they have bloody lungs? Most of them, most of them don't. Some of them do. Eddie is not smoking cigarettes.
Probably, you know, the same thing. Some of those horses are chain smokers. So Olympic runners will bleed from the lungs. I don't know. He didn't create horse racing. This guy's ridiculous. This guy is ridiculous. He is ridiculous. He's kicking horses and making them bleed. I have more questions. I love it. It's the sport of kings. No, I love it too. Okay, question. Isn't that what they call it? Yes, they do. They call it the sport of kings. Okay, question. So you do bet. Yes. And what would be a good bet? Don't you go dying on me. What's a good bet? How do you do this? I generally bet to win. I bet like a pick three or pick four. Pretty much betting the winners of three races or four races in a row. Oh, that's not a try. Oh, dude. Are you successful at that? Yeah. Now, how much does that cost? How do you do that? You can spend a dollar up to yesterday. I spent $30 on one. Okay. So it means you just divide it. So it's 30 bucks divided by each horse. Well, you know, if you use one horse in one race and two in the next.
Got it. That would be one times two is $2. That's cool. Oh, dude. What's the most you've ever won? Yeah. A little over $3,000. Wow! On one race? Yeah. What did you do? What was it? How did it work? How did it go down? It was the pick six. So just picking the winners of six races in a row. Nice. Dude. And so on that sixth race, you must have been so nervous. I was a little nervous. Yes. And when it hit, you must have freaked out. I did. I did. I went from nervous to freaked out just like that. Okay. So on that sixth race, if that horse had lost, you wouldn't have won a dime. Well, the great thing about the pick six is if you hit five out of six, you're actually going to get some money too. Really? So I wouldn't have won 3,000. It probably would have been like a couple hundred. Does that pay really good odds to do the pick six? So you could bet? 20 bucks on a pick six and do well? Well, like the pick six is a $2 minimum bet. Right. So you could just pick one horse in six races and it'll be two bucks. That's awesome. That's so cool. Am I forgetting a good thing? Well, I know that the big Pacific Classic is coming up, right? It's on Sunday? Sunday, yeah. Is it Sunday? Wow. Sunday. Why is that such a big deal? Why is the Pacific Classic so big? Well, it's a million dollar race.
So they're running for a million dollars. Now you're talking. I don't care about bleeding lungs. Just tell me when I get this. I don't care if it looks like OJ was on that track. Now, is the Pacific Classic, it's one race, right? Is it like the last race that day? It'll be the 10th race out of 11. And it's worth a million dollars. Yeah, a million dollar per day. Does that mean that it's worth more to you if you bet money on that race or no? It's just like every other race. No, it's just for the horses running. So the winner will get $600,000. You know, okay. So I went and I got to go behind the scenes recently of the horse racing. I got to talk to the trainers and they were so temperamental. They were so freaked out superstitious. Like I couldn't ask any questions because they were so superstitious.
The general feeling that I got is that if you get into horse ownership, don't ever go into, and I would never, because I don't have the dough that these guys have to do. But they were like, don't ever think that you're going to make money doing this. The guys that actually own the horses. If it's like that, why do guys get involved in that? I think it's almost like owning your own sports franchise. Right, right, right. To actually see your horse that you own and that you bought to go out there and win a race. Sure. You know, it's great. It's just like all the money that comes in for you, you put right back into the horse. Pretty much. Right. And, you know, as long as you're making some money to feed them and stuff like that, it's pretty much a break even. That's cool. Well, I mean, it's amazing to me because we go once a year. We go, you know, usually one day out of the racing season. And it's so much fun, but I can't make heads or tails of the racing form itself. Like, it's just so difficult to read the thing and try to pick one that I think will win based on that. Is there just a couple of things that we can look for when we're looking at that racing form and we're trying to make our mind up about a horse? Well, if you're looking at the racing form, I would say probably look at...
like their last three starts okay and then you obviously want a horse that has finished you know first second or third in their last three starts and that's generally a good indication of how the horse will run and then do you add any other kind of mathematics to it other than that when you see that how would you pick because i mean i guess they would kind of be similar the numbers may look kind of similar right then where do you go well there's there's also a a speed figure that's also on the past performances too it's a bold number so like the higher the better so if you have three horses that have won their last race and one of them has like an 80 uh a 95 and then a 70 the one that with the 95 is going to run faster this is good stuff to know man this is all good stuff and i mean just as a regular because a lot of us are going to go there one day You know, we're going to go there one day during the racing season, and we just want to know what to do. And so that really does kind of help out. It's pretty cool. Appreciate it, dude. Thank you. And you're a P1. We've got to take a quick timeout. It's kind of like Team Awesome. Every once in a while, we don't win. Most of the time, we hit them out of the park, and then every once in a while, we don't. Well, let's do it. It's time to play the Battle of the Sexes.
Oldest radio bit of all time, and I love it. Nervous. Crazy. It's 9.30. I know. It's like, whoa. Yeah, we normally play this at 6.30. Well, we had a full show today. This was a packed day. It was. So here is how Battle of the Sexes works. We have a guy team and a girl team. And the guys get asked girl questions. The girls get asked guy questions. And Sean is wearing a Hawaiian shirt now. Thank you. As usual. Yeah. Not as usual. He usually is just wearing a t-shirt. Sorry. Well, yeah. Undershirt. Thank you. And every once in a while, he'll pull this where you'll look over and just all willy-nilly, he'll throw on a Hawaiian shirt. He's going to a luau later. Is that the deal? Well, he has a board meeting. No, it's Casual Friday. It's Casual Friday. Casual Friday. So he also has the chance. You're a dork. Shut up. Show us your chance. Oh, no. Beto, this is not good. Show us your chance, Uncle Sean. No, no. I just have shorts on. No chance. Is it time for volleyball? Okay. That's casual Friday, Beto. Well, he must have come in wearing pants originally, but then it got warm, so he was like...
Oh my goodness, I have convertible pants. I'll make them into shorts. You know he doesn't like it when you talk about his clothes. Top down. Okay. Uncle Sean. Oh no. Shut up. Do you have a button on your pants that puts the convertible on? Oh. Legitimate question. You press the button and then the top goes down. And then, look, shorts. Look, I'm a business guy. No, I'm the croc hunter. Sean, would you care to answer that question? No. Oh, well. I guess not. Sorry, Beto. Beto, I don't think he's in the mood for you. Yes, Beto. I have pants, I have shorts, I have shins. Uncle Sean. Oh, man. You changed your pants into shorts. Wow. It's my favorite song.
Are you going to a Lua Uncle Sean? Oh, no. Oh, no. I already answered that question. You did? Get the Kalua pig. Kalua pig, by the way. Hold the pig. All right. Now all the sexes. Yes. Oh, that's right. Now my guy's all thrown off. Yeah, he'll be all right. Oh, no. You got Team Awesome. Whatever. And you have Team Sass. Awesome. Eddie, do you want to keep doing what you've been doing and just let them? It doesn't matter to us. We don't care. Gals, you want to go first? No, we let them go first. We're like Michael Phelps. Okay, okay. We have such a big lead. I got you. It's like Usain Bolt. We're kind of looking back going, what? Is there anybody else in the race? Wow. So, what do you think, captain of Team Sass? Would you like to start or do you want the guys to start? No, we're going to let the guys start. Guys are going to start. Yeah. You're going to let us. That gives you the advantage.
Okay, well, Eddie, who, as captain of Team Awesome, who are you going to have be your lead-off guy? You're looking at him, kiddo. All right, let's do this. I mean, did you have to wink at Mike when you said that? He actually winked. He actually winked. Yeah, warm it up. It's kind of weird. Yeah, we don't see that at all. Was that Seth? No, my mic was off, dude. Who just said, we don't see that at all? It happens every once in a while. You hear, like, a weird voice come on. I did not hear a thing. That was Sean. That was Sean. No, I swear to God, I didn't hear a thing. You didn't hear... Yeah, when this happens, Sean doesn't hear it. No, I don't hear it. Like, only here in the studio we hear it. And we don't know where... Is there a traffic thing on? Look at IFB1. Is that in queue or anything or on? Where is that? It's the prophet on the far right of the board. A prophet? It says STC program and Rbox one. Yeah, no, I don't know then.
Isn't that bizarre? That was weird. What did it say? No, no, we didn't see that at all. That's weird. All right. I just got an IM from P1 Ryan, and he says he thinks it was probably paparazzi. Yeah. It could be. It could be. I don't disagree. Okay, so. I'm ready. Oh, I'm ready. She likes to rhyme. She likes to rhyme. There's nothing wrong with rhyming. Get it together. What's up? Here's your question. Okay, I'm ready. Here we go. Here we go. Oh, now he's ready. What? Eddie, what is the name of the 2006 movie starring the Duff sisters who play sisters trying to save their family's cosmetic company? Oh, wow. I like it. Ashley's giving a big thumbs up and smile to Eddie. Oh, yeah, I've seen it about three or four times, so it's definitely a movie. Rob, you want to give him the answer? Wait, that's... Duff? Duff. Like Hillary Duff? Hillary Duff.
And Hillary Clinton. No. Duff McKagan. Hillary and Haley Duff. Haley's Comet. I have no talent. That is incorrect. That's not right. I've seen it. The movie was called Material Girls. There's never been a movie called that. That's what I thought. Team Sass, who would you like to lead off? Chantel, that's team captain. You're trying to pressure me, but every time I... Stop it. Eddie's trying to get you to pick you. I know. Ooh, he's goating you. He's egging you on. He's goating you in. One-on-one. Okay. Chantel. Wow. Chantel took the bait. All right. This might work out for you. Might work out for you. Oh, Ashley's not a fan of that decision. Ashley thinks she probably should have let off with her, but that's all right. You know what? I have a good feeling. All right. Yeah. Good. I like it when you have that. Chantel. Okay. Yes. Have you... Do you watch the Olympics? Yes. Have you always kind of dug the Olympics or is this a new thing just this year? I'm really involved this year. Yeah. More than any other year. All right. We'll see how you do. Oh, no. Good gosh almighty. Name. No. You hate it already, right? Yes. Oh, no. That's a tough one already. Name three members of the original U.S. Olympic.
basketball dream team. The dream team. Oh, look at Ashley knows, man. Ashley knows. You don't know? You don't know. Oh, man, that is like... Wait, of the original? To me, this is... To me, this is like... Garbage? I don't like basketball, but... I would say... My mom knows this. I could name one person. I've got ideas. Yeah, like I have ideas. I'm definitely sure about one person. The rest would be guesses. I say Michael Jordan. I'm going to say maybe Karl Malone. And I'm going to say who else would be on the original? Scotty Pippen. That is rad. Hold on. I think those are the only three basketball players she can think of. May I speak? May I speak? She says Karl Malone and Scotty Pippen.
Not Larry Bird. Not Magic Johnson. Not, I mean, these huge names. Charles Barkley. I mean, all these huge names. She says Scottie Pippen. He was good. He was with Michael Jordan. I'm shocked you didn't name Christian Laettner. The fourth member of the team. Number one, let's just get to the point. I got the question right. You missed yours. You understand, I'm giving you props. You clown. Here's the dream team. It's amazing that you named that. That was awesome. Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Chris Mullen, Patrick Ewing. Look at Chantal. Why are you so mad at it now? I'm like itching a mad sandwich. John Stockton, David Robinson, Scottie Pippen, Clyde Drexler, Christian Laettner. Unbelievable. That is unbelievable. She busts out Scottie Pippen. Not Magic Johnson. Up next, Boston Rob. You're disgusting. Wow. That's really funny. She is in between a mad sandwich. Rob is calling Chantel disgusting. Rob is like the definition of disgusting. Right. All right, are you ready? No offense. Don't read into it. No offense. It's unbelievable. I missed it. She's lucky because I am ready to go today. Are you ready?
You got it, dude. You ready? You probably get this. It's kind of gay. Oh, wow. Come on. Please don't insult our team. Are you sure you're not confusing me with you? Oh, really? Wow. I say back to you and more. That was awesome. Way to go. Rob. Sky. What? I said I loved you earlier. I know. I try to, you know, use positive encouragement for the members of the show. Are you ready? Yeah, now I am. What is the name of the Dido song that Eminem sampled for his song, Stand? That's easy. He's going to get this. Yeah, sing it, Rob. Yeah, sing it out. Hold on. Oh, look at him. Sorry, time's up. I'd like to call it time out. We got a time out on the time out. What is the time out? Why? We can talk. No, you cannot tell. One time out per game. No, you do not. Time out per game. What is this time out per game? What?
Oh, my God. I can hear the lyrics. Yeah. It's like, I want to thank you for the best days. Yeah, keep going with that. What were you saying about that? Sure you're not thinking about you, Mike? What was that? Why don't you sing it for me there? This is getting ugly. Do you have to do your hands like a rap guy? Like a white rap guy, by the way. Oh, so white. He's so white. He's got his Boston hat turned a little bit right now. It just doesn't fit. I don't have a very big brain, Mike. Oh, my God. Eddie, no eye contact. Stop it. Stop it. Rob, we really do have to have an answer. I got to go to Dave Matthews tonight, Rob. Jake's graduating in an hour. You guys are getting in my head. Shut up. Come on already. Because I know this. I want to thank you for the best day of my life. You are the worst. What part of that? Rob, I need it. You've got to give me an answer. Help me. I'm not going to help you. Five seconds. I'm on your team. Four. Three. I want to thank you. Two. No, Mike. No. No. I think he deserves it. It's incorrect. I think he deserves it. It's incorrect. It is, though.
Dude, I would give it to him, but... No. The song's called Thank You. Yes! I Want To Thank You is in parentheses. Look it up! Watch the History Channel. You're the worst. All right, Ash, here's your question. Ashley, in baseball... Have you done my before? Okay, every time. Every time. Yes, every time. In baseball, what does ERA stand for? Oh, wow. I bet Sky knows that. Yeah. You know. This is still the easiest question. ERA. I do know this one. It's such a trip to see girls think about, like, they're like, oh, what it, like, for every man, that's, do you know immediately, Whoopi? Yeah. What just happened? ERA. Did you fart? No. It was Chantel. Chantel farted. Oh, wow. She usually does. So, in baseball, what does ERA stand for? Yes.
Runs. Sexually transmitted disease. Runs. You're taking forever. Stand for it because then it's runs average. Estimated runs arrived. That's incorrect. Close the first time. You were very close. What was it? Earned average. Earned run average. It is one to nothing. Okay, not for long. Here we go. Shawnee O'Boy. Here we go. Shawnee O'Boy. A method of styling, usually straight, a way of styling, usually straight long hair so that it becomes wavy, often in a sawtooth fashion, is known as what? What did you just say? Say that again? Yeah, no problem. English. No problem. English, man. Easy. Nice. That was me. Oh, okay.
Somebody texted the answer. Rob? Good job, Rob. A method of styling, usually straight long hair so that it becomes wavy, often in a sawtooth fashion, is known as what? Sean's got his hands up to his forehead. Give him a chance, guys. Oh, he fell asleep. You guys, he fell asleep. Oh, keep... Sean. Sean, wake up! Sean. Oh, there he is. No, no, no. A method of styling usually straight long hair so that it becomes wavy often in a sawtooth fashion is known as what? Two things come to mind. I don't know what either of them is, but they just have wave in the name. Think something called a body wave.
And I think there's something called a finger wave. Those are the only waves that I know of in hair. So I'll say a finger wave. Okay. An old finger wave, huh? I don't know. Shawnee, it's crimping. That's crimping. Nice try. Sorry. Sorry about that. Sky's up. Okay, I'll do my best, girls. These are rough today. Yeah, they are. For us. And us. No, you've gotten easy ones. ERA, come on. Oh, Eddie, you're about to be angry. For the ease factor? This guy? Let's see. Who's the current president of the UFC? Yeah! Oh my gosh! She's got her fists up to her mouth and she's shaking her head! Let's everybody shush! Oh my gosh! No, no, because all I keep...
crimping on the show. All I keep thinking is Vince McMahon, but he's the WWE guy. Or is he? I don't know. Shush. Don't do that. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. She doesn't know. You be quiet, Ashley. Are you kidding me? I'm so glad you didn't get this question. Are two P1s that won Mikey Show P1 Trivia are standing because they can't believe this question? I mean, I think we just had him on the air a while ago talking about, like, some big announcement or something, but I can't for the life of me even, like... Ashley is flipping out. Oh, no. It's in there. Like, when you say the name, I'm gonna... This guy's got her eyes closed. He's thinking. She's now... I can see her lips moving. Like, she's running through a list of... I just keep saying UFC, UFC. Oh, no. Okay, so let's see. There's Chuck Liddell. There's... Eddie, how is this possible? I love it. I'm so happy. Eddie is just... He's drinking it with his eyes. There is... It's in there. It's in there. There's the iron cheek.
I mean, can you just give me his initials? Matt Lauer. Anything. You're going to kick yourself. I am. I know George Bush is a president. I think. Who's the guy hair club for men? It was the Iron Sheik. Yes, I've got it. Sergeant Slaughter. George Zimmer. Men's Warehouse. He's not just a. No, wait. That's not it. That's not it. Jonas Brothers. Oh, Sky, you don't know it? Well, I know I'm not going to get the point, but give me the first name and let's see if I can. Dana. White. Dana White. Sorry, team. I'm sorry. That was a rough one. Ashley. You blew it again.
She didn't. I mean, hey, listen. If she had just started with Sky, you know, I mean, it would have been, which you should. She would have got to start with Sky. No, I would have got the baseball question. You really blew it. Man. It's okay, Chantel. We're still leading. We're great. We're great. They're speaking out of perks right now. Round two is next. To improve mileage, come by Chevron and fill up with air. That's right, air. When was the last time you checked the air pressure in your tires? Can't remember? Then it's definitely been too long. Did you know even tires in good shape can lose about one pound of pressure a month? And underinflated tires make your engine work harder, lowering your mileage. But don't overinflate them. You can usually find the recommended tire pressure on a sticker located on the driver's side door jamb. And speaking of air... Air conditioning is not so hot for your car's mileage either. Whenever you turn it on, it puts an added strain on your engine. Now, at highway speeds, it's probably better to use the A.C. rather than roll down the windows because of the aerodynamics. But around town, enjoy the fresh air. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com.

And welcome back. I guess those are the two things we can say for sure. Mikey, shouldn't it be called Slaughter of the Sexes? Team Awesome kicks sass. That's P1 bass string. You're lame. Are you disagreeing with that? Yes. Okay, we'll pull up the season totals. Let's see. It is... Eddie, right now it's 1-0. Girls. But I'm up. Eddie's up. Are you ready? What's up, Hillary Duff? Eddie, here is your multiple choice question. Your multiple choice question is lollipop, sunny days, and sweet berry. Sweet berry wine! I win. They are all characters in what animated TV show? Is it A, strawberry shortcake?
B, My Little Pony, or C, Rainbow Bright? This is a great question. They're all the same. Yeah, I know. They're all the same. What's the difference? All right, one more time. Sunny Days and Sweetberry are all characters in what animated TV show? Is it A, Strawberry Shortcake, B, My Little Pony, or C, Rainbow Bright? Okay. I know Skye loves Strawberry Shortcake. She didn't even flinch when you said Strawberry Shortcake, or the names. So I don't think it's Strawberry Shortcake. My little, uh, I don't even know what that is. New on Fox. Yes. Hey, easy being a hoe now. So, the third one was something about gays. Rainbow Flags. It was not about gays, actually.
This is a weird concept for a children's show. So I'm going to say C. Correct. The answer is... The answer is B. Eddie always says go with B, but this time did not. The answer is B. My Little Pony. Duh. My Little Pony. Hey, you did great. Chantel. Yes, I'm sorry. Ready? Yes. Eddie. What happened? I don't know what happened. I made an inappropriate gesture to our friend Chantel. Oh, wow. I did not see it. I did not see it. Chantel, are you ready? Who holds the record for most rushing touchdowns in a season? Hmm. The heck does that mean? A running back, you know. Oh, man. Oh, okay. I mean, really? Um, LT. That is correct. I knew it.
That was awesome. Can we discuss? I wouldn't have got that. She was on the field when it happened. Hey, the luck of the draw, bro. If she hadn't got that right, I'd have quit. End of the game. The former Charger girl. She was on the field when it happened. Well, that worked out well for us. Chantal, pull the mic up. What was that like? was amazing well what was even more amazing and where were you where were you in where were you in con uh in uh what's the word i'm looking for where were you physically on the field in relation context to where in relation to where it happened sorry it's all good i don't remember if i was i think i was on visitor's side i think i know it was the greatest moment in chargers history It broke an NFL record. I was in station three. I was in station three. It was the worst thing ever. She's telling you. She should remember. Listen to her. She's taking a guess at where she was. It lies. Stop it. She's like, I might have been at McGregor's. Everyone's back because we got two now and they've got nine and they're just being me. I have someone in the studio that was on the field.
When LT broke the record and she's like, I don't remember. I bet you if you asked Nick Hardwick where he was, I bet you he could tell you. Yeah, because they were out there listening. I'm on the sidelines. See, I'm not actually on the field in case you didn't. Playing with my pom-pom. What happened? Tell me where you were. What happened? to know because every time I start... I want to know. She was busy working on We've Got the Power. Chantel, can you remember what moves you had for the We Got the Power part? Do you remember how you did it? If I played it right now, would you remember your thing? Who does that? I've Got the Power. What is it called? Is it We've Got the Power? Oh, it's I've Got the Power. Snap, yeah. Here it is. What's going on? I don't know. I don't know. I thought we were in the middle. We were as well. We don't ever do anything normal. Obviously, we really just... Come on, Chantel. It's in pink, top left. Got it. Do the moves. No. Oh, sounds great. Get on top left. It said snap. Oh, here it is. There we go. Oh, yeah. What do you got, Chantel? Yeah. How'd you do it? Come on. Let's do it here. What are you doing? Let's see some junk. Eddie's showing you how to... He's showing his moves. It's a dance-off. Do you remember... Do you remember what your...
signature move was for this song? There was no signature move for this song, number one. Was there like a choreographed deal for this song? Betty, stop doing jazz hands. Every cheerleading troupe does that song. Every. I thought you guys were called a troupe. Didn't they walk a high wire when they were done doing it? I thought. And they sell cookies door to door. Didn't they come out on unicycles? Yes, you figured them out. Scores to zip. Thank you. Team Sass is kicking. Yep, what up? Killing it. I think it's the Riz's turn. We didn't even get to hear where she was and what happened when LT... Everybody dance now. Let it go. Wow. Eddie, you are not a cheerleader. You can take this on the road, Mike. I know it. Just a microphone, me doing the thing, and you dancing. I'll dance behind you. That is a YouTube bet. Yeah. And then we'll have Rob in the background going. Yes. Good luck with that. Who's up? Rob. Guys. Who is? Rob's turn.
Hey, you gotta have this one, Rob. I know, I know. I think the girls are gonna be happy. I got robbed on the last one. Cool, is it a Red Sox question? It just seems unfair. Hey, Rob, focus. Why is everything my fault? Are you ready? Read a book. He's ready. You read a book. Rob, a style of handbag or purse that is typically large and characterized by a crescent shape, a slouchy posture, and a long strap designed to wear over the shoulder is commonly known. As what? It's not a Zeth. But you described him to a T. Seriously. I think he needs a question again. Yeah. A pocketbook? Yeah, a pocketbook. That is incorrect. Is that your answer? Yeah, I don't really get the question. You're asking me about a pocketbook? Well, it's not fair. The answer is not fair. I mean, ironically, the answer is it's a hobo bag.
That's rad. And that is not a hobo bag. All right, Sean. No one has killed anyone on this show. Ashley? Yes? Here is your multiple choice question. Totally. I'm talking murder, Mike. Murder. All right, Sean. Ashley? Are you ready, Ash? Totally. Your multiple choice question is in the A-team. Oh, no. The pilot's name is, she's putting on lip gloss as I ask this question. She's a multitasker. Leave her alone. In the A team, the pilot's name is Captain H.M. Murdoch. That's right, Mike. He's crazy. What does H.M. stand for? Is it A, Howling Mad, B, Hunter Mark, or C, Helicopter Man?
Did you say the first one was howling man or howling mad? Howling mad. Mad. Man. I just wanted to say man. Man. Hi, Shreve. Howling man. Thank you. Can you give me the question and the option one more time and then I'll have my answer. In the A-Team, the pilot's name is Captain H.M. Murdoch. What does H.M. stand for? Is it A. Howling Mad? B. Hunter Mark? Or C. Helicopter Man? Helicopter Man Murdoch sounds stupid. Hunter Mark Murdoch sounds boring. I'm going to say Howling Mad. That is correct.
She stood up when she said it and pumped her fists in victory. I'd like to know the score. Can we recap that? Score is three to nothing. Thank you. Score is three to nothing. Are we still playing? Oh, we are. Up next is Sean. Hobo killer. Sean. Hey, not anymore. Sean, what is the name of the Hills? All right. What is the name of the Hills star Heidi Montag's clothing company? These questions are unreal. Perfect for him. He should know this. Yeah, I should know this. I think we saw it the other day at the mall. Who cares? I know. Say again, please. What's Heidi Montag's clothing company?
I wish we could have captured the video camera of that face. Mouth gaping open, hands on forehead. Dumbfounded. Oh, wow. Sean, please don't do that. That looks like a head that you would find in a glass jar from Silence of the Lambs. Hollywood, I don't know. It's Heidi Wood. Well, I'll give the ladies this question. Just for funsies. Sky, what's Junior Seau's number? You're a bad person. You will be kicked out of this town. Sky, if you can't answer this, the city of San Diego will hate you. Kick her out. I mean, I've even been to that little restaurant deal he had. So you'd probably think there's probably a jersey somewhere. Or you would think, right? Yeah.
Well, it's not 56. He wore the same number with the Patriots. Oh, that's going to make a difference. He's only worn this number. He graduated with that number. That's right. Brent Favre's number four. That's right. That is correct. These are numbers I know. I'm just trying to work through things I know. It gives me confidence. I'm graduating today. Thank you, Junior. With what number? 32. Oh, wow. That's a running back's number. That's the stupidest guess. Their numbers are based on what position they play? Holy. I didn't know that. I didn't know that. What position does he play, Scott? I don't know. What position? That could be a future question. He was a linebacker. What did you say, Scott? And what's the answer? 55. I was close. 32. Get Doc's score points for that. No, we do not. We win. Ladies win. We win. Ladies win. So the guys didn't even get one right? No.
Did you hear the questions? Yeah, they were totally easy. We smashed them. Thank you. Ladies did good today. Ladies did good. Thank you. We won. That's right. Congratulations, ladies. Two weeks in a row. 40 more of those and you guys will overtake the guys. Why do you always have to go there? Why are you frightening on our parade? What did he say that was wrong? We're in so much trouble, man. I don't understand what happened. Don't you rain on our parade, sir. All right. I'm glad that's over with. Skye, what did Gwen Stefani name her kid yesterday? Okay, so we know the first baby is named Kingston. Little two-year-old, cute little guy. So, again, do we think it's going to be a normal name or a crazy name? I can guarantee normal name. If you go Kingston first, you go normal second. Okay. What's another town in Jamaica? Yeah, that's a good one. Oh, Potland. She named it Weed. Weedville. Has to be crazy. Ashley's going crazy? Yeah, crazy. I'm going, it's going to be one of those like old time names. But I'm going to love it. I so badly don't want it to be weird. Homer. I'm going to love it. Homer. I know I already know. Edgar. It will. Pontius. Are you ready? Oliver. Yesterday, Gwen Stefani.
gave birth to an 8-pound, 5-ounce baby boy via C-section in Los Angeles named Zuma Nesta Rock. Man, that is annoying. Zuma Nesta Rock. Come on. That's the first name? Yeah, Zuma's the first name, and then I guess the middle names are Nesta Rock. I think it's pronounced Zima. Do they give an explanation? Favorite drink of the island. They haven't explained it, but people who are going, what is this all about, believe that Gwen and Gavin are fascinated with Bob Marley. And that's why they did Kingston, because that's where Marley's from. And then Marley's middle name is Zuma. Bob Marley's real first name is Nesta. Oh, there you go. Nesta. Oh, and I appreciate that. Big fan of Chris Rock. Wayne Johnson. Baby Zuma. Sky has a list of the top 20 game shows of all time, but we'll do top five. Top five. Oh, wow. Card Sharks. Battle of the Sexes. Joker's Wild. Who wants to be a millionaire? Wuss Rock. Wait, those are our games. Oh. Too much going on. Here one trivia. You're Joker's Wild. Price is Right. Tone deaf. Ashley, The Price is Right is the number one game show of all time. Family Feud. Family Feud.
Show me Family Feud. Show me Family Feud? Is it Family Feud? What is Jeopardy? Jeopardy is number two. Jeopardy is number two. Wheel of Fortune. Wheel of Fortune is number three. Joker's Wild. I mean, haven't you said that? What about that? Card Sharks. Love Connection. What's the one where they dressed up? No whammies, big bucks. Press your luck. Press your luck. What's the one where they dressed up out there in the audience? Let's make a deal. a deal. Let's make a deal is number five on the game shows of all time. So you're just missing. No Emmys, no Emmys. What's up with your face? That's my religion. Against your
By Mark Burnett. Yes. Survivor. Is that a game show? Survivor's not a game show? It's a reality show. Whatever. It's a game, though. Hobos that I killed. What are we missing? I'll give you a clue. It's an older game show. It was on the air from 1950 to 1975. Who wants to be a millionaire? Oh, $25,000 pyramid. Dark baby dog. Oh, I know this. It's not Pyramid? No, you don't. You don't know this. I watched all those old ones. You did? Who passed gas? Who fatted? Who fatted? Who fatted? Who fatted? Who fatted? Who fatted? Who fatted? Who fatted? Who fatted? Who fatted? Who fatted? Who fatted? There you go. I got to play this audio of Jessica Simpson. Oh, yeah. All right. So Jessica Simpson is dating Tony Romo. Tony Romo's ex-girlfriend is Carrie Underwood. Whoa. Carrie Underwood said in an interview recently that Tony Romo still calls her occasionally. Regularly. Well said. Regularly. And sometimes she doesn't even answer the phone. She'll just ignore the call. Now, you got to figure. You're Jessica Simpson. That's going to bum you out. So anyway, she was on this radio station, WRVW. WNBC. That's right. You have a Nashville. And the station is a country station called The River. Love it. And the host is, she's in studio. Yeah. Jessica? Yeah. Wow. She's in studio. But the host, I thought, was, he sounds nervous. Listen, it's a question. It's not a.
You're not saying to her, why does your hair look like that? It's not insulting. It's a normal question, but you can tell he's nervous when he's asking. But she gives an answer to it. Cut 11. Carrie just told a lure magazine that Tony still calls her. Anything like that? Tony and I both laughed at that. Did you really? Yeah. We got a chuckle out of it. So it's not true, you think? No, I know it's not. Oh, definitely. Cool. No, definitely. I looked at his call log. Who is it? Who is it, Tony? That's awesome. Yeah, she doesn't call me. Well, let me see your phone. No, I just think that, I mean, if Tony, you know, wanted to call her or be with her, he would. She checked the call log? And then she went on to say she was just kidding. Did she check the call log? 100%. She is that girl. She is that girl. Why is she that girl? She... Because, I mean, isn't she like the girl, like, you know?
But every girl is that girl, right? No. There are some girls that would not check the call log if they heard something that seemed that real. Because Carrie Underwood sure did seem genuine about it. I wouldn't. I wouldn't. I wouldn't. Even if it sounded that genuine. I would not. I've never, ever been that girl. But there are tons of girls that are hot and have no reason to, but are just crazy and they do that. Very insecure. Like my friend Jillian. Oh, wow. Oh, I mean, we didn't need to name Nate. You guys all know Jillian, right? She's a crazy, crazy girl. She's a badass. She has to call on. I think it's my face. She's whack. Gotcha. Wow. Okay. I've got more. We're good. Thank you. I'd like to hear something. So she didn't. You guys are saying she did. Of course she did. That was a great show she was on, though. That morning show. Interesting that a country station would have a homosexual host as Sean. Sean. What are you thinking? What's going on with him today? It's progressive. I applaud that. Progressive, by the way. Oh, man. It's like he's lost his marbles today. A lot of phone calls to Sean today.
Sky, what movies are coming out this weekend? We have quite a few. Well, we know from our glowing interview with Catherine McPhee that The House Bunny is coming out today, which I've already seen and is really, really funny. Cut 38. Sounds like you really read the paper. Oh, all the time. I'm just nuts about the paper. So, have you given any thought to who you might be voting for? I'm not sure yet. I definitely won't listen to what Simon says. He is just so mean. I usually always agree with Paula and Randy. Oh. Oh, you meant the president of the United States. That's funny. Is that a school play? Oh, stop it. And you heard what I heard, right? Hey, not cool. It's funnier with the visual. It's funnier with the visual. It is. You guys love it. It was really good. You mean... Stop it, Eddie.
Also out today is The Long Shots, starring Ice Cube, and this is a PG family-friendly movie directed by Fred Durst. What? No. Oh, my God. Are you kidding me? Come on, come on. Unnecessary. Film it, film it. Film it, film it. Action. Do cut, Fred. Cut. It's what you want to do now. So good. What is it? The long shot. Oh, we don't have any clips. What else? Okay, what happened to Ice Cube? That guy's done drive-bys before. Allegedly. Allegedly. By the way, that's E-D-D-I-E. Yep. Also out today, we have Death Race. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, this is the one with Jason Statham. This is the awesome one. Transporter. Cut 27. What did she say?
for a second. What rest of my life doing this for you? Win five races, you go free. Those are the rules. Win one more, you walk. Sounds pretty good. Wow. I don't know that I'd say wow. Then they're done that. What else you got, Skye? Hamlet 2 out today. Hamlet 2? Anybody? What is this? High school drama teacher, a politically incorrect musical version of the Shakespeare classic, Catherine Mears in it, David Arquette, Amy Poehler. That's okay. Elizabeth Shue. No, thank you. Okay. And then this came out on Wednesday, but it's still a new one this morning, or this weekend, The Rocker with Rainn Wilson. Rainn, tell us about it. Cut 23. You know, I started taking some drum lessons right when I knew I got cast in this.
And the guy also worked with me a lot on, like, being specifically a heavy metal drummer. So working the crowd and getting the crowd riled up and, like, using the kick drums, stick tricks, you know, cueing the pyrotechnics, you know, getting the audience involved is a whole part of heavy metal drumming. Rain could be a DJ at KGBFM. Yeah. Sounds good. Yeah, for sure. So those are the new movies out. Let's see. Jerry Seinfeld just signed a $10 deal with Microsoft. Russell from upstairs. That is true. Good for him. No. What's he going to do for them? Commercials? Yeah, he's going to be the new face of Microsoft. I guess Microsoft is really feeling the pinch a little bit because Apple kind of has the niche on the younger, cool market of the cool, young. Jerry Seinfeld is going to be the guy to talk to.
To the young hip crowd? Was Bill Cosby busy? No kidding. Yeah, they're hoping that Jerry Seinfeld will revamp Microsoft's image. Jerry Seinfeld or Buddy Hackett? For a younger consumer. Don Rickles, maybe. Dude, who would be that guy? You know who I would pick? Dane Cook. I would pick Dane Cook. If I wanted to communicate with them, I would pick... Who's the dude that punks people? Ashton Kutcher? Yeah, Ashton Kutcher. Or even, I mean, even some older people who are more, like, kind of relevant, like Jack Black. Will Ferrell. Robert Downey. Like, these are people. Dude, Will Ferrell. Yeah, he'd be great. Jerry Seinfeld? Ten million buckaroonies. I think that's because when Bill Gates was young and hip, the audience that he's trying to reach, Jerry Seinfeld was really cool. So he's like, who is really cool? Well, yeah. Yeah. Kurt Cameron. It's so bizarre, that choice. Who knows? David Blaine's new stunt. Yuck. Yuck? I'm not a fan. Why? He's creepy and weird and he does weird stuff that I don't care about. Great, go in a bubble. Whatever. What do you think of this playing guard? Oh, you're so dynamic. You're going to meditate? Don't you mean levitate?
Yeah, meditating 10 feet in the air. No. One second, I got to write for five minutes. Oh, boy. Is that your assistant? No, he's hanging himself upside down in Central Park. That's his new thing. It must be. Like, his whole thing is, I'm going to amaze you by being really uncomfortable. Next week, I climb a tree. I'll sleep on my side. Yes. Or a week. A whole week. I'll sleep in a bed with no pillow. No. I'll watch TV at midnight with no blankie. How does he do it? I'm going to shower with cold water. So what is he doing? Well, he'll be suspended from a high wire six stories above the ground in New York Central Park for three days and two nights. And he invites people in the area to come down and interact with him during the stunt that's called Dive of Death.
It'll all be taped for television, of course, and we'll go down in late September. Ashley. Didn't we, like, play a clip from him on Oprah, and he said the next thing he was going to do was, like, stay awake for 11 days? Oh, yeah. I did say that. And that, like, people can die from that. We're, like, trip out on that and, like, waiting for it. Yeah. And now he's going to just do this? Yeah. I guess he's still planning on doing that end of the year. Is that David Blaine right there? I don't want it. That's a clip of David Blaine. I don't want him to do the sleep thing. I don't want him to do the sleep thing. You're scared for him? Yeah, it makes me think he's going to hurt himself. I feel nauseous when I think he's going to stay away for a while. We do the 28-hour show. We want to throw up. I want him to do that. Disneyland is closing down the park for a special party for... Miley Cyrus' 16th birthday. Smimey, Mimey. Smimey Morris. Yeah, but I don't know if it may not be what you think it is. It's not just for Miley so she can have her run of the park. It's basically Disneyland trying to bring in some Skrill. So starting at the end of this month, on the 30th, parents can purchase tickets to Miley Cyrus' birthday party at Disneyland for $250 a piece. So if your kid wants to be a part of Miley Cyrus'. She'll be there.
She'll be there and it'll be all Miley all day long. I don't have a problem with it. We talked about it the other day. Hey, if somebody wants to spend $500 to take them and their kid, whatever. So tickets go on sale for Miley's Sweet 16. Share the celebration. That's what they're calling it. Free cigarettes for all the kids. Head up Marlboro's as you're walking in. Tickets will go on sale August 30th for the October 5th event, even though Miley's actual birthday is in November. When I was a kid, they sold candy bad stuff. They probably still do. They sold candy cigarettes. Those are the best, dude. So weird. You can find those. Do they still sell them? I can't find them. Oh, Sean knows that place. Oh, she's probably not there anymore. There's a place that Sean goes to that sells vintage candy. This next story will affect my wife for sure. There's been a Hot Pocket recall. Oh, wrong. Just ate one yesterday. It's all my wife eats, those Lean Pockets. Yeah, Lean Pockets. She gets the pizza ones.
Talk about it. They have this new kind. Why is Rob freaking out? You can only find a Delmar. You got to go shop. Read my blog. Go shop in rich people areas. People, I'm telling you, they serve different and exotic, tastier hot pockets. They do. I'm not. They got foie gras, dude. It's so good. I'm not kidding. I'm not lying. A foie gras pocket. They have this white. I got this risotto one. Yeah, dude. So good. Can I get the white truffle pocket? I'm not lying. I am not lying. Anyways, carry on. What's the deal? So, thousands of Hot Pockets are being recalled. They say 215,000 pounds of frozen stuffed pepperoni pizza sandwiches are being recalled. Seriously? That's what my wife eats. The pizza one. The Hot Pocket Pepperoni Pizza. It's what she eats. You said Lean Pocket, but this one's Hot Pocket. Yeah, she don't get the Hot Pocket. She gets the Lean Pocket. No, it's Hot Pockets and Lean Pockets 2. No, Eddie. It's Hot Pockets and Lean Pockets 2. And then it goes... No. Well, they're being recalled. Oh, my girlfriend.
They are being recalled. Because it turns into lava and it gives you a fourth degree burn. Well, that is a fact. But there's a warning on the box. You have to wait a day. You make them in the microwave and you wait a day. And they're still hot. They're still hot. After 24 hours. It's so hot. It's so hot. Why is Eddie doing Lamar? That's what you gotta do when you eat hot pockets. You do. So they are being recalled because they, quote... Someone found a doo-doo in them. That's the Fart Pockets, Mike. That's a different product. Fart Pockets! And Paca, too. Okay. And Cock-a-Pockets, too. Have you ever had a Cock-a-Pocket? Holy moly. Pack full of flavor. That's right.
So again, they're being recalled because, quote, they may contain foreign materials. Like a Japanese kid? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Jamie Oliver might be stuffed in one. May contain a Chinese gymnast. I think we're done. Okay. I mean, it's only 1040, Mike. Are you sure? No, I got to get this story. Okay. I'm going to miss my flight. This I will definitely buy for like every guy friend I know is a joke, but Hallmark will be debuting their same-sex wedding cards very soon. So every birthday Rob has, I will be getting that. Yes. There are four different designs to choose from. So there you go. There it is.
I don't know. I missed it too. I don't even get that. Are you kidding, Ash? I didn't get it. Maybe I didn't see her. Maybe you guys should show me one more time. I still don't get it. Now she gets it. Wow. That's actually the photograph. I'm making my own cards now. I bet you are. And testimony. Come on. Come on. Cue the music. 570. 570. 570. 105.3. Snort. Boom goes the dynamite.
So immature. Mikey Show. Hello. What's up? Hey, I just want to say I get to come into the show on Friday. Thanks. It was awesome. Very cool. And I had to call in and congratulate Eddie on his Fred Durst impression. Very nice. I could not swallow my orange soda for about a minute until you're shooting it out my nose. That's the worst. Thank you. You're welcome. Oh, yeah. What, Rob? Hello. Hang on just a moment, sir. I'm going to be doing some stuff this weekend. I'll be on Survivor Season 9. In HD. No, tomorrow I'm going to be down at 619 Muscle. It's on... I'm kidding. It's a client. Yeah, we probably shouldn't say that. From the top, Rob. Tomorrow, I'm going to be out at my gym doing an appearance at the...
You guys. What? At the supplement shop, 619 Muscle, and they're going to have a lot of stuff out there. Eddie needs to cut it out. Just get it together, man. You're a professional broadcaster. You're a professional broadcaster. What time? 2949 Garnet Ave. You'll see World's Gym. 619 Muscle's putting it on. I'm going to be there. You're the worst. You do this for a living. I'm going to be there from a... You can't keep a straight face for five seconds to do a... I'm going to be there from 1101. You know how market this is? I don't know. It's 16, dude. 16th largest market in the country. I can't do this. I can't do... From the top. Where is yours? It's like the 28-hour show. We're all tired, you know? So tomorrow from 11 to 1. What's the address? No, I'm not. Do you know the address? I don't know. Do you know the address? 2949, Garnett Ave. It's in PB. Oh, my God. It's heading up the hill going into Claremont on Belboa. And then tomorrow night. Where are you going to be tomorrow night? Oh, my God. You got to be on stage tonight, dude.
Holy cow. This guy's doing the second show at the Comedy Store. Oh, my God. Tomorrow night, I'm at Cabo Cantina down in PB. It's 1050 Carnet Ave from 8 till 945. Just go to rock105.com and look at the fence and you'll figure it out. All right. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, what's going on? Hey, this is Ewan Grass Ninja. I got a... I got the magical cure for Ashley's swamp pit. Go ahead. All right, it's dirt and dry. I also suffer from swamp pit. When they're done, that doesn't work. She's already done it. Are you kidding me? She's already done it. She's already done it. I ran through that, like, really fast. Are you kidding me? Didn't work. No, not a little bit. She's tried sawdust and hay at this point, all right? Nothing works at this point.
All right, that's too bad. You remember when you were in grade school and a kid would get sick and they'd come throw that sawdust all over it? The pink stuff. They've tried that on Ashley. It doesn't work. Really? Too bad. It really is a shame. I know it. I know it. Mikey Show. Hey, this is Vanessa. P1 Vanessa. What's up? Hey, I wanted to ask, well, today's my 21st birthday. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Thank you very much. And I am coming out from New Mexico, and I want to know what are the hotspots here. Oh, wow. It's a good thing to do here, and thank you. Yeah. Go ahead, Rob. Are you going to be Rob? Yep. Come down to Pacific Beach tomorrow night, to Cabo Cantina. There you go. Cabo Cantina, tomorrow night. Yep. Meet B-Rob. That's where B-Rob will be. Buy me a drink or something. Okay. It's not going to be ridiculous. Mikey Show. Hey, I wanted to know if there was an age limit on Myri Cyrus' birthday. P1 hampooned. What hampooned is online? Hey, Cubby, how's it going? Wow. Every time he gets me with that. I got a question for the show.
I was wondering, when paparazzi accepts his induction in the Hall of Fame at Harrah's, will there be a resounding boo? That was the thing that we were going to talk about earlier. I said this like four hours ago, that we had a great question that I wanted to put out there. He was like, what will the crowd reaction be? Split? When he gets inducted. What will that sound like on the radio? You got some texts in support of him. Yeah. Which kind of surprised me. I mean, what will that audio of the actual audience that's going to be there? Because everybody's invited. If you're listening right now, you're invited to the P1 Hall of Fame. It's going to happen on September the 5th at Harrah's Rincon. And I was just like, oh, man. It'll be resounding, whatever it is. Right. It won't be two different sounds going on, like cheers and jeers. It'll be giant loud, and it'll be a mixed crazy. It's going to be like. It's going to be nuts. It's going to be pandemonium. It will. Mayhem. Mayhem. A couple more calls. We got to go. Mikey. Mikey Show. Hey, what's up? It's P1 Bobby B. What's up, Bobby B? Not a man. I just need to hear that Michael Phelps song one more time. Oh, dude, you know what? Sean has it. Mike, just sing it for him. Oh, Michael Phelps.
You swam away with my heart. That is beautiful. If you didn't hear that bit yesterday, please, it'll be on The Best Stuff tomorrow? And it's on the podcast. Very nice. We gotta get out of here. At the end of the show on Fridays, I give you my testimony. I tell you basically what's happened in my life and the kinds of things that God has been able to do in my life. And a lot of people, when I first say that, a lot of people... don't really they don't really know why I do that and uh it's been a while but occasionally I get people that will still write that are upset about it but for the most part people kind of get it um because the one thing that I don't do is um I try not to judge anybody because that's not my job that's that's his job but what I do tell you is I tell you what happened in my life what the events that have happened in my life I used to be a very very
insecure guy. To a certain degree, I still am, but I can tell you that it's very different than it used to be. Very insecure person. And I was also the type of person that hated to go out and do stuff and be around people. And the reason I did is because of how I felt about myself. I just felt really insecure and I had a pretty low self-esteem. And it was very difficult for me to be around people. I have experienced in my lifetime extraordinary loneliness. Those of you that have ever gone through that or are going through that, you know exactly how that feels. It's terrible. Been through experiences in my life that have made me feel desperate. There might be some people listening right now that you feel desperate, struggled. My body image used to make myself throw up. I wanted so desperately just to be accepted and liked that I wanted to look a certain way. Early 30s, I'm 38 now. When I was in my early 30s, I was drinking alcoholically.
I was drinking every day. I would drink to the point where I'd get sick and I'd have to go drink again and then I'd get sick, drink again. One of the things that comes along with that is that you have extraordinarily high blood pressure and you can't sleep. That's what every day was like for me. I would close the drapes in my apartment and I would turn off my phone, turn the ringer off, and I would isolate myself. There are people listening right now that you've experienced that. There may be some of you listening right now. When I start to give you this list of the types of people that could be listening right now, I just want you to ask yourself if that's you. Are you one of those people? Are you one of the people that I mentioned? There might be people that are listening right now that have lost a husband or lost a wife or they're going through a breakup with a boyfriend or a girlfriend. There might be somebody listening right now that has considered or is considering taking their own life. There might be somebody that's listening right now that's
experiencing loneliness beyond belief or somebody that has lost a child or somebody that has just gotten really bad news about their health might be somebody that's listening right now that is struggling with an eating disorder or some sort of a secret that's really just making you nuts man it's just eating you up inside having this secret I just want to tell you that when I was going through that feeling where Drinking like that, laying in bed, and I was crying, but it wasn't the kind of crying with sound. It was just like tears streaming down the side of my face if Jesus Christ would come into my life. And what happened was I actually got a physical feeling. Some people experience that and some people don't. So if you don't, you don't have to think it's not happening because, trust me, it happens in different ways. I'm going to use a term here that's very religious, so I don't want people to freak out.
Strap your seatbelt on a little tighter if you're driving because this word is kind of religious. What that was inside of me was something called Holy Spirit. I just got really nervous when I said that because I don't say those words very often on the air. So I was, you probably heard it in my voice. I've explained this to people before. It's a real thing. It did real work inside me. It changed me into a different person. It's changing me into a different person today. For the last month, I have felt a contact with God, really out of contact with God. And I talked about this on the air for the first time just a couple of days ago. And now I'm saying it again. I'm really fortunate to tell you that I did feel that way. Over the last couple of days, it's really changed. I've never had hope before. And then in my life, he changed everything. And I tell you this story every Friday because you can have hope too. I found Jesus Christ. He came into my life and he changed my life. He changed my life. I'm happy today.
I cry tears of joy sometimes when I'm holding my little boy that I never would have had this little boy if this hadn't happened in my life or my beautiful wife. I never would have had it. So that's why I tell you about this. If you're hurting or if you're in pain, you can have hope through Jesus Christ. If you go to my website, mikeyshow.com, up in the top, there's a little box there. It's a keyword section. If you type in the keyword help, there's resources for you. All kinds of resources that we've put there. For all those different things that I've mentioned. We're going to do something special. I don't know that we've ever played this live version before. I think this is the first time we've played the live version of Tunnel. Eddie, you suggested it a while back and I forgot, man. So we play this song at the end of the show on Fridays. It's by a band called Third Day. And if you want to get the album, it's called Wherever You Are. That's the name of the album. You can find it on iTunes. And the song is called Tunnel and it's about hope.
Really listen to the words of this song. The lyrics are incredible if you're in need of that. Lovely and talented Missy is up next. We'll see you again on Monday. The Mikey Show is out. Late.
