Jared used the Secret Crush bit to ask his boss's daughter Tina out live on the air, and she returned his feelings even though both knew her father and Jared's job could become problems. Mikey and caller Kathy argued over abortion and universal health care: he focused on protecting unborn life, while she pressed him on who supports children after they are born. The crew also debated Diddy's complaint about having to fly commercial, with Ashley calling it insulting and Mikey and Sean reading it as calculated publicity. In lighter but concrete moments, Eddie lifted Boston Rob over his head before their mock Olympic contest, a fake Neil Diamond berated teenagers, Sean regretted swearing to his mother, and a lottery sting exposed two dishonest clerks.
What happened, in order
Deodorant and Adderall
Ashley admitted her deodorant had stopped controlling odor and perspiration, then argued that she could manage her attention problems without taking Adderall every day.
Barbara Turns on Hillary
Caller Barbara claimed to support Barack Obama, attacked her former favorite Hillary Clinton with bizarre conspiracy theories, and became so incoherent that the hosts worried about her.
Eighties Anxiety
Mikey explained that 1980s music takes him back to the chest pains, guilt, fear, and undiagnosed anxiety he experienced as a popular but deeply unhappy teenager.
Political Milestones
Skye said Hillary Clinton's campaign made her proud of women's progress, while the group reflected that Barack Obama's candidacy showed how far the country had come on race.
Abortion and Health Care
Mikey argued that abortion ends a living unborn child, while Kathy challenged pro-life voters to support universal health care and care for children after birth.
Eddie Versus Boston Rob
The crew previewed Eddie and Boston Rob competing in a sprint, Greco-Roman wrestling, and archery, then Eddie demonstrated his huge size advantage by lifting Rob over his head.
The Boss's Daughter
In Secret Crush, Jared confessed his feelings to his boss's daughter Tina live on air, and she said she liked him too despite the risk that her father might be angry.
The Fattening Hog Joke
The hosts debated a Kentucky man's arrest after an old-fashioned joke about trading a fattening hog for two girls was interpreted as an attempt to entice the children.
Angry Neil Diamond
A fake Neil Diamond repeatedly failed to deliver a song for teenagers and instead launched into an increasingly confused rant about drugs, clothes, technology, and youth culture.
Diddy's Commercial Flight
After Diddy complained that fuel costs forced him to fly commercial, Ashley called the video insulting while Mikey and Sean argued that its outrageous decadence was calculated publicity.
Sean Swears to Mom
Sean said accidentally using the F-word while defending his mother from his grandmother left him ashamed and afraid that their relationship had permanently changed.
Lottery Ticket Sting
An undercover lottery sting caught two convenience-store clerks claiming a $2,000 winning ticket was worth only $200 and trying to redeem it themselves.

We'll be right back. Oh, baby, please
Please, please don't leave me Don't leave me Oh, baby, please Oh, baby, please Oh, baby, please don't need me Well, I'm begging you, baby Don't need me
No, no, no, no, no, no, no Oh, baby, please Oh, baby, please Oh, baby, please Don't leave Oh, my baby, don't love me no more.
No, no, no, no, no. She don't love me no more. No, no, no, no, no. Oh, baby, please. Oh, baby, please. Oh, baby, please don't need me No, no, no Yeah.
Not even joking, y'all. It is 6-0-8. John McCain was in town yesterday for a campaign fundraiser that hoped to raise a million dollars. The Padres say not in our house. They don't let Brandon Webb get win number 20 as they beat the Diamondbacks 9-2. It's so weird, man, because we talked to... Who did we talk to the other day, Eddie?
I forget who we talked to from day to day. I know we talked to people. I know we talked to people, but we talked to somebody that said... I was here. Yeah, you were here, too. Well, Scott, I know I talked to you. Were you talking to me? Dave Couillier. I don't think it was Dave Couillier. I don't think it was. I'm almost positive. You're thinking of Adrian Gonzalez? Adrian Gonzalez. Oh, hello. Man, you know me. You know where I was going. You know what I was doing. You know everything. That wouldn't have come to me. Adrian Gonzalez. We talked to first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, and we asked him how much of the game is mental. What percentage of the game of baseball is mental?
He said 80%. 80%. And it makes sense when you think to yourself, well, this Padre team stinks, but they are not going to let Brandon Webb get his 20th win against us. And look how mental that is. And so they got it in their heads that they weren't going to be the, you know, the losers that went down, you know, as the, oh, yeah, you got a 20th victory against us. And so all they did was made a mental adjustment that said we will not lose. And bingo, bambo, they win.
Yeah. So weird. It's just weird. They forgot to do that like the rest of the games. Oh. Yeah. They should try that. I mean, wowie, zowie. I don't know, man. I really think that something gets in your head that goes, well, we lose. And they do that. You know what I mean? Absolutely. It's in their head that, oh, this is our destiny is to lose today. Oh, we can't go out there and win today. Right. It's so weird, man. 80%. That's a trip. Let's see.
Let's introduce everybody. Get your phone calls all rolling in at 570-1053. And text us at 35253. Got to talk about those packages for the P1 Hall of Fame broadcast. There are a few P1s that have hung out with us pretty intimately here at the radio station over the 28-hour show or other things like that. But this is an opportunity for everybody listening right now to hang out with the Mikey show over the course of a few days.
Yeah, like outside of the P1 cruise, I don't know when we've ever like hung out with P1s like this. For days on end. And that's a good example. Like the P1 cruise, we were on that boat. We couldn't get off. And so you were with us. And this is very, very similar to that. And if you would like to purchase one of these packages, $149.99 and $299.99, you can do it at mikeyshow.com, keyword fame, for Hall of Fame. Fame. Fame.

You're staying at the hotel.
You're getting a hot breakfast the next morning. Pretty awesome. Oh, hello. Yeah, check it out. Pretty ladies. So here's who is going to be... We asked Hera's, like, hey, we really want to make this big. So, from the show American Gladiators,
Venom, Helga, and Panther. Oh, really? Yeah. Eddie's definitely going now. Helga's going to be there. Yeah. I'm going to take Helga on, man. Yeah. Now, the only way that you get into this bachelor party for free is if you say that you're a P1. But the only way to roll VIP. Is to buy the package. Got to roll VIP. Please. That's where we're going to be. With Helga.
Helga, dude. Dude, it's awesome. Dude, Helga. Awesome. That's crazy. Pretty cool. so 5701053 text number 35253 I'm Mikey I'm the host of the show I am 38 years of age I have tattoos I want to get more I really do I just haven't found the time to go in there and do it it takes me exactly two weeks to heal from a tattoo from the day I get it to the day that everything's all healed up
and all good is exactly two weeks almost every single time 14 days And I really like tattoos I think they look cool And I like them My wife wants me to keep them black and gray She doesn't want me to go go with any color. I agree with that. So, thinking about that. Let's see. Eddie is our producer, our sports guy. He doesn't have tattoos. His uncle kind of talked him out of it. Said, these are terrible. Don't ever get them. And Eddie was a kid. Never did.
And then Eddie grows up and his uncle gets another one. Gets a tattoo. He's like, hey, what are you doing? He came to San Diego and wanted me to take him to a tattoo parlor. I'm like, wait, you said you don't like him. I already got him, so. Might as well just keep going. Jerk. Eddie is 35. And he's married. Been married over a year now. Just over a year. 13 months. Skye is our news girl.
Hi, Mike. That's right. She's 30 years of age. I've known her a long time. And she's been married for almost 10 years. almost eight years been together almost 11 years it's only been seven years you've been married yeah we got married in 2000 so i think you got married when we met no we were uh together we were living together when i met you yes me and you were living together and then i met the boo and had to leave you i must have drank a lot i barely remember that so it'll be eight years next month there it is right happy anniversary well it's still a month away to you and i oh
Okay, well, I accept. Thank you. Sean is our sound effects man. Oh. What? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So when you hear sound effects on the air, little audio clips comes from Shawnee, oh boy. He's on the cover of the USA Today. Is that right? Didn't realize that. Let's see. Where is it? Oh, right there on the cover. Look at that. There he is. Look at him. There he is on the cover of the USA Today. That's crazy. At the DNC. Look at you. At the Democratic National Convention. Look at you, Shawnee.
Really amazing. Wow, that's quick travel. Ashley is our assistant producer, and she's 25 years of age. She goes walking with Sky every Tuesday. They call it the walk and talk. Yeah. They bring what they call their walk and talk outfits. And when the show is over on Tuesday, they go in the bathroom, they change into their walk and talk outfits, and then they go on a walk. Ridiculous. Skye and Ashley. You should have seen this one over here. Which one?
Ashley? No problem. So she forgets most of her stuff yesterday for her walk and talk. Yeah. And had to have Mark, her boyfriend. Oh, my gosh. Bring it to her. I love you. Oh, dear. But doesn't bring socks. He didn't bring her socks? Didn't bring socks. And she wasn't wearing any socks? Wasn't wearing any socks. I don't know why I ever wear socks. I hate socks. So he brought you your tennis shoes. Gross. Yeah. Your walking shoes. Like a shirt. Yeah, like he didn't know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm not blaming. And so she puts on the tennis shoes, sans. No, dude.
No, no, no. Uh-uh. No, no, no. No, no, no. So gross. Couldn't she? You know what I would do? I would at least send out a clear channel all email saying, does anybody have a clean pair of socks I could borrow? Just cancel at that point. I would cancel or do that. Or go to Walmart. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, we were good. That's a good idea. Please. It was fine. Everyone, stop being so dramatic. You stop. Mike, the most ridiculous pair of sunglasses I've ever seen in my life. They're the best.
They're like these giant aviator sunglasses. Gold. That are gold. Straight out of Top Gun. They're great. It was a sight. They're great. Aviator style? Yeah. Gold aviators? Yeah, they're sick. They're my new sunglasses. They are sick. That's right. No, they are. They are sick. Yeah, they are. And then don't forget the deodorant comment that she was making. What? I'm having a problem with deodorant. I'm having a problem with deodorant lately, Mike. Lately?
You're having a problem with deodorant? Well, the smell factor. Oh, Mike. Mike. She's now come to the point where she believes her B.O. smells. And that she has sticky pits sometimes. It's Mike. Well, this is a change. This is a change because in the past, she has always maintained that her sweat doesn't have any odor to it. And so when her armpits sweat, she has always maintained that it's not a problem. Let me explain. It's like roses.
Here's the deal. It's like I put deodorant on and it takes care of obviously the smell, but it's the perspiration that I haven't been able to fix. Well, lately, the organic, like, deodorant that I've been using, or the Michium Delicious Powder Fresh that I've been using. Michium. Michium. Because I switch them up. I believe the product is called Michium. Touche. Okay. So, it hasn't been working so well.
Mike, yesterday I used the organic deodorant, and by the time Sky and I went on our walk and talk, it wasn't necessarily, you know, a party necessarily. underneath my arms. So I'm like wondering what's going on. I think now I'm even immune to not only the keeping it dry portion of deodorant, but also keeping it smell good. Oh, they accept her kind there. Come on. Sky, was she smelly? Well, I wasn't going to stick my face in there. No, I know, but was it, you know, were you like, uh-oh?
No, I was good. I mean, there was a nice breeze yesterday. We have a nice distance between us when we walk, so. It's nothing drastic. It's nothing crazy, but it's like I noticed it. Yeah, she was smelling herself and did not enjoy what she was. And then, this is really piling on, guys. I'm sorry, but this morning, I forgot to wear the mask. She's been doing that a lot lately, too. I forgot again. See, you're not forgetting anymore. You're just not doing it. You're just giving up. Is Mommy taking her Adderall? No.
Maybe I've subconsciously, I'm kind of trying to wean myself off Adderall. kind of over it i'm not i haven't taken it i haven't got to the point yet where i'm over you taking adderall every time i've taken it you've known so that's been what like three it's like once a week maybe for those of you that don't know adderall i take adderall because i i've been diagnosed by a psychiatrist with attention deficit disorder as have i and so is ashley now what i do is i take medication so that i can try to be more focused and you are and i am
i've become more focused there's no doubt about it definitely uh ashley will take it uh like she takes her deodorant right yeah everyone yeah today's had her all day when necessary when necessary well the bottle deems it necessary daily yeah daily i don't feel like that because i've been like really working on just focusing and like breaking through my like struggles on my own and it's been working so i'm like maybe i can know oh fix this i don't think i don't know about that, Ash? I don't think it's... Well, it hasn't been working.
It hasn't been working. I'll be honest, it hasn't. So says you. Yeah, that is true. That is one man's opinion. Fortunately, this man's the boss. But what are you going to do, you know? Hey, tomato, tomato, right? Yeah. I mean, really. Touche. Please, please. Touche. Come on now. What's the point of getting all flustered about that? Right. Boston Rob is our, uh... Mommy should take her Adderall.
Well, you know the deal, man. And wear deodorant. Those are two rules. She is something else, man. She is something else. Bring some deodorant into the studio. Leave it in there. I literally, I can't live with her. I can't live without her. I can't live with her. I can't live without her. Is that the deal? I feel that way, kind of. Yeah. I love you. I hate you. It's the truth I'm crazy about you But I can't stand you You know what the deal is Remember how I told you With the Adderall Like I had like one left And I've got to go get A new prescription You told me you had
An appointment with the doctor Did I? Yeah You said oh I'm going to Go see the doctor I have an appointment And you said And I'm going to tell him I don't know that I told you I actually had an appointment Because I didn't I don't know if you know that I'm not going to lie to you But I don't like lie anymore It might have been an unintentional lie. Regardless. Let me explain. Okay. Let me explain. I don't remember seeing that I made an appointment. What am I going? I love you. Words are very important to me.
You know, they're very important to me. But that doesn't mean that just because words are important to me. Like, I'm into fantasy football. Ashley's not. So we're different that way. That's all. And so she said she had an appointment to go see the doctor. You know, what that meant was I don't have an appointment to go see the doctor. Yeah. But she said that what she was going to tell him was, on my suggestion, that her dosing of Adderall was too high. Cut it in half. Yeah, because it was making it so she couldn't sleep. Cracked out. You know, cracked out. Yeah.
I said, yeah, you know, you got too much there. Too much. She said, yeah, well, I'll fix that when I go to my appointment. But you didn't have one? I haven't gone. Oh, you did have one or no? I do not recall making an appointment, but it is in my nature. Which, by the way, is a symptom of adult attention deficit disorder that you don't remember. Like, you can't remember if you... Wow. But she's saying, I'm fine without the Adderall. Yet she is symptomatic of attention deficit disorder.
At this very moment. I'll tell you this. I am symptomatic also of making appointments and canceling them because I'm too lazy or tired. Which, by the way, is symptomatic of attention deficit disorder. She's making breakthroughs. Yeah, she's working on it. On her own. So maybe I should make an appointment. I think that'd be a great idea. All right, all right, all right. She already did. I'll do it again. How about that? I'll do it again. This time I'll go. Uh, Boston Rob is, uh, the look on his face, uh, that's a priceless look, the look he's giving me, and the look is all about his buddy, Ashley.
The look on his face is all about his buddy, Ashley. Uh, he is 25, he's engaged to be married, and, uh, he's having a bachelor party at Harrah's on, uh, Friday, September the 5th. Right, when's the wedding? That's a legitimate question. That's a legitimate question. It's coming up. It's coming up. Yep. Coming up. To be announced. Sometime in the future. Yes. TBD. Yeah, TFN. Oh, no. Thanks for nothing. Thanks for nothing. Oh, yeah, yeah, I remember what that was.
That's right. What does it stand for? Till, uh, till far, till far gone. Till far gone? To. To fight nightly. Till further notice. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There you go. Ah, TFN. Rob is a. I'm pretty sure that it stands for something else, too. All right. All right. Well, we'll look into it. Wow. Who says to further notice? People in business. Yeah. Professional type of people. Yeah, professional type of people. You know, your friend Karen. Yeah, Karen.
You know how in the office when you make one professional phone call in your life, and it's always to this woman named Karen, and you hear it every once in a while, and you put on professional voice, he loses the accent. Hello, Karen. Hi. This is Robert. Hi, Karen. Oh, yes, Karen. Hi, Karen. I was corporate still. Let's see. And there is Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates, the third, Junior, Esquire, MD, DDS, Inc. Wow.
Rosie. Rosie. And he's our phone screener. 23 years of age. So we range on The Mikey Show in age from 23 to 38. And there's seven of us. 570-1053 is the phone number. And right now, we do open phones. You can call about whatever. So give us a call. All kinds of stuff going on. Got the DNC in Denver. Democratic National Convention. Last night, they wheeled out Hillary. Oh, boy.
Oh, stop. She's a great. She was awesome. Didn't she look great? I, in all honesty, had a conversation with myself before we went on the air. I rationally cannot have this conversation about Hillary Clinton. What is the problem? Well, I'm going to have such a drastic difference of opinion. That's okay. But I'm going to be mad about it. Well, you don't need to be mad. I can't control it. I can't be rational. You don't need to be mad. I know this about myself. Wrap your arms around it. I'm trying to say I know this about myself. I'm giving you fair warning.
Just leave me out of this. Well, I think you're better than that. I'm not better than that, Mike. He's not, Mike. I'm not better. I have a couple of non-partisan observations. Okay. One, I was furious that it went 10 minutes over and cut into Wipeout. It did? Yeah, which really was disappointing. All right. And two, every woman in the audience, they're all Hillary supporters, not a stitch of makeup on any of them. Is that the truth?
Any of them. That's right with that. It's just an observation. On the problem. On natural. I don't wear makeup. Just an observation. Look at his face. Hey, Eddie, wouldn't you say some women do that better than others? You know, like my wife doesn't have to wear makeup. She still looks real pretty. I'd say that about Ash and Skye. You know, Skye doesn't wear any makeup. They look good. You know? Interesting. This was not... Not one. This was different. Not those. There were a couple cute girls I saw. No, there really were. I saw some. Okay. But then again, we were watching different coverage, so you never know. That must be it.
That must be it. Cut three. I'm here tonight as a proud mother, as a proud Democrat. As a proud senator from New York. A proud American. And a proud supporter of Barack Obama.
What's going on? Oh, no. What a moron that made of herself, didn't it? What? Sorry? Hey, guys, it's Barbara calling in. Oh, Barbara? Haven't heard from you in a while. Oh, yeah, I didn't call in because the moron hasn't been up there talking lately. What? I don't know who she... Who are you referring to, Barbara? Hillary Clinton. But that's your girl. I thought you were the... You used to be a full-time Hillary supporter. No, first of all, this is Barbara, and I'm a full-time Barack Obama supporter and a full-time black woman. Yeah, but you flipped her.
From Rancho Santa Fe. But you flipped her. Yeah, you were a Hillary supporter, and then she dropped out, and then you became a Barack supporter. Then I saw the light is another way to put it. Wow, I mean, you were really behind her for a long time. Yeah, well, I just got my Obama bobbleheads in the mail yesterday. Wow, I'm not sure what that's for. I'm super happy and proud about that. Yeah. And I watched that Democratic National Convention last night, And I just want to let you guys all know that Hillary Clinton used to be a man. Wow.
That is not true. That is the truth. No, I mean, she gave birth to a child. I actually agree with Barbara, but I believe still. No, Barbara. Well, Johns Hopkins University, they did a little surgery, and hello. No, Barbara. It's the woman we see today. Uh-uh. But my real issue is that, you know, now everybody wants to jump on the Obama train, including Hillary. That's why she's saying that she's such a Obama supporter. Well, why didn't you say that when you were running for president? Well, but that's exactly what you did, Barbara. That's exactly what you did, Barbara.
See, Skye, you get it. No, no, Barbara, I'm saying the thing you're upset about is you did that exact same thing. If you guys don't believe what I'm saying about Hillary, why don't you ask yourself one question? What's that? Why does she wear pants all the time? That's a great point. I never thought of it like that. I got you there, didn't I, Scott? No, you didn't. I got you there. Plenty of women wear pants. It's got you thinking. The first time, Barbara, I actually agree with you. That's right. Stop it, Eddie. Don't encourage it. I'm just saying. Ridiculous.
She actually used to be a guy, and her name was Bill Clinton. Wait, no. That's her husband. Now you're starting to lose me, Barbara. It's really strange how we've never seen them together. You're slurring a little bit right now, Barbara. You're a little bit off. And we saw them last night in the same room. Am I slurring right now? Yeah, well, yes, you are. Well, now you're whispering, yeah. Can you guys hear me? Yeah, barely. Am I slurring right now? A little bit. You're sounding a little out of it. Am I slurring right now? That doesn't make it better. That doesn't make it better. Anyway, guys.
Okay, can you please? Barbara. Sorry, guys. I haven't been feeling well lately. Oh, you all right? I'm fine. It's just... Okay. Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh. Oh, no, she's out like a little. What the heck was that? Barbara. Barbara. Hello. Barbara, are you there? Hi, Eddie. What are you doing? Why are you calling me? I didn't call her. Oh, okay. I better get going then. Okay, Bess.
Bye. Bye. She's in bad shape. Doesn't sound right, does she? She sure turned on Hillary, didn't she? That's weird. Worse and worse every time. Mm-hmm. Eddie, I want to hear your thoughts on this. And so what I think we'll do is we're going to take... I do. I do. I think you can do this. You can do this. I know that it's possible. Come on. We're all friends here. It's going to be tough today. Let's be friendly. 570-1053. Our text number is 35253.

But don't overinflate them. You can usually find the recommended tire pressure on a sticker located on the driver's side door jamb. And speaking of air, air conditioning is not so hot for your car's mileage either. Whenever you turn it on, it puts an added strain on your engine. Now, at highway speeds, it's probably better to use the A.C. rather than roll down the windows because of the aerodynamics. But around town, enjoy the fresh air. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. When fuel economy matters, your San Diego County Ford dealers deliver.

Coronalite is the only light beer that's also a Corona. Now, that's a statement pretty much anybody can understand. You, sir, with the teeth. Hello, mate. Hello, sir. Explain for me. Coronalite, the only light beer that's also a Corona. Right. You want to have a chinwag about Coronalite being the only light beer that's also a Corona, eh, Governor? Yeah.
Say no more. That beer's a light tasting. Delightful, it is. What? Slice a lime, slide it in, take a swig. Bob's your uncle. I'm not sure. You know, it's got its own pub song. Really? Corona, lighty, lighty, lay. It's the only light beer that's a Corona. Hooray. Spot on that. Yeah? No, I didn't understand a word of that. But I know you understand. Corona light is the only light beer that's also a Corona, which means the refreshing, ready-for-the-beach taste of Corona is available in a light beer. Imported by Crown Imports, Chicago, Illinois. Get away with a case of cornita light today. This kind of agitates me. The Mikey Show continues featuring Mikey. I don't like horror movies anymore. Used to be my favorite genre of film. Eddie. I have a very big real fear of throwing up. Sky. I was just thinking in my head, I'm getting paid for that. Sean. I really like going to the doctor's office. Boston Rob.
Even though I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. And Ashley. I am a really, really, really healthy eater. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. I hear this music and all I think about was how anxiety ridden I was in high school really this was out when i was in high school i've always had anxiety you know
these panic attacks that i've had the anxiety attacks that i've had uh my therapist thinks that i've actually had them for a long time but they were just misdiagnosed i didn't know what they were right because i've had chest pains for a long time i just didn't know what it was and uh you know it took a lot of things coming together all at once for me to think i was having a heart attack uh but uh yeah i remember in high school being very anxiety ridden and i was popular in high school because i was funny people liked me and everything but i was just full of angst like i would it wasn't like i was um going to high school and it had much to do with the kids
it was about me just tripping out about everything about life about life but you know when i was 14 15 years old is that bizarre now is it with just this song or other 80s oh any 80s song Yeah, like, dude, Weekend C, which is the exact opposite of Sean. Right. Yeah. You know, Sean hears it. It reminds him of a better time, right? It's like a lullaby. Aw. Like, that was good times for you, right? Yeah, it was. I hear it like this.
Oh, yeah, this was a great song. Like, I recognize them as great songs, but I hear this, and I'm like, oh, yeah, I remember just hating everything. I remember being so guilt-ridden and fearful. You hear Duran Duran and you just start crying? Yeah. Yeah. It's weird. Completely different reasons. It is 6.45. Dr. Dre's 20-year-old son was found dead over the weekend.
What is up with that, Skye? Wow. Yeah, I don't... What's the deal? Well, not very many details, but Saturday morning, his mom went to wake him at a little bit after 10 a.m. I guess he came home at about 5.30 in the morning after being out with friends all night. And when the mom went to wake him at, you know, like 10.20 in the morning... He wouldn't wake up. That's sad. Oh, that's terrible. They called 911 and they said he was unresponsive and passed away. And so they're going to do an autopsy and all that.
And they say they don't suspect foul play, but, you know, they're going to try and figure out what happened. Something's wrong with Ashley's microphone. It went out, so they're trying to fix it right now. Oh, no. Yeah, it's like completely off. The wire is just hanging there. Text messages. 35253. Mikey, I think Chelsea Clinton looked really pretty last night. Way better than her look in the mid-90s. That's P1 Nikita. I agree. I think Chelsea Clinton is gorgeous. Really? I thought the exact same thing last night when I saw her. I was like, wow, she's really put herself together.
You know what gorgeous means, right? Come on. Rob, you're so cruel. Give me your idea. Hold on. Maybe I have to Google an image lately. Let's see. I'm with Rob. I mean, I think she definitely looks better. I mean, gorgeous, that's like... Gorgeous is like... Let's reserve that for, you know... Come here, come here. You know, the gorgeous ladies of the world. Look, guys, look. Oh, I see you. This is a... Look, Rob, that's a very, very pretty girl. Yeah, definitely. That's a great picture. You guys don't think that that's a really pretty girl? I think Batman fought her at one point.
Dude, if this girl walked... Stop it. If this girl walked in the studio right now with... I would be like, eh. With Russell, with Russell from upstairs, and he's like, hey, guys, just want to introduce you to Chelsea. She's new, working here, blah, blah, blah. she walked out, we would be like, wow, that's a really pretty girl. You would, I would, and Rob wouldn't. I'd be like, that looks like the female version of Hillary Clinton. No, you wouldn't. Hillary Clinton is a female. What? Yeah. Oh my. I'm with you, Mike. She looks great. Man, this is a tough crowd. She's definitely her father, Hillary's
daughter. Hey, I'll tell you what really puts it in perspective. I'll tell you what really puts it in perspective is this. Oh, wow. These are the Chelsea, you know, from a few years ago. Are they going to put any hot pitches up of them? All right. You see? You see what he's doing? Where are the afters? Josh. They have before and afters. I think she looks really great. And is a naturally pretty girl. Got a big, pretty smile. Definitely a girl. Pretty blue eyes. Let's see. 570
105-3 35253 Mikey can you guys please play the drama queen song song makes my day P1 little girl the drama queen song I mean out of nowhere I will but Sky's got to do something dramatic so it'll never be played again give it five minutes well yeah the song was made because Sky can tend to you know embellish or exaggerate or be a bit dramatic about things at times I'm a drama queen I'm a drama mama I'm going to go check myself into the ER right now.
Well, there's Sky. Whatever. Mikey, did you guys happen to notice Hillary Clinton made no mention of being a proud wife? I thought the exact same thing. Here we go. I said that to my husband last night. So did I. Yeah. To your husband? To my husband. And she didn't even mention Bill until two-thirds of the way through her speech. she half kind of mentioned president clinton not my husband never mentioned being a proud wife and i felt so weirded out for bill because bill first of all is in the audience beaming like
overbeaming yeah like just like uh and he's doing the beatles girls right now when the beatles are walking off the airplane it was like that it was very close to that yeah and and i'm like this poor guy like he has to do this like this is his punishment for cheating on her a billion yeah yeah he he uh he had you know he had oral sex with monica lewinski i'm sure everybody knew about it that's terrible it was awful and so you know he's his punishment now is to support hillary like over support hillary and she her thing is i'm gonna not say anything about you even though
You are the entire reason why I'm standing here right now. Yeah. The entire reason. Yeah. Well, it was crazy. They certainly have. It's so strange because you're watching a dysfunctional dynamic play out on television on the biggest stage there is. Powerful people in the world. And you're watching this dysfunction, you know. Yeah, it was creepy. Do you guys believe they lead totally separate lives? Oh, man. Like, you know, remember when it all happened and they were doing this whole thing about, well, you know, it's like an arrangement now it's more of an agreement because she's going to be a senator and the agreement is you better support me and you know i need you for this and so you owe me yeah
and i remember when all that was being said and i was like whatever man there are a couple that worked it out but i don't know yeah because when he was when he was in the audience when she was speaking last night it was like he was hearing the speech for the very first time and i was thinking if i was going to go give a huge speech my husband would have heard me practice that speech eight million times, and Bill looked like this was the first time he's ever heard this. It was interesting. Mikey, you should make Ashley B. Rob and Zeth, you should make Ashley B. Rob and Zeth to the Wipeout auditions
on September 6th. That would be amazing P1 Benjani. What do you think, Rob? Would you want to do the Wipeout auditions? Heck yeah. I have not seen Wipeout yet, but I know the original show, mxc well that's not it's kind of a take off of that yeah for people that don't know i get the gist of it so for people that have never seen wipe out on nbc as abc is it yeah it's one of these shows like uh one of those japanese import shows it's crazy obstacle courses is the best way to describe it um and they're gonna have open auditions in san diego september 6th saturday
they'll find a lot of people are they just going to do an interview or are you going to run a course I don't know I guess their details are on 10 News' website I want to see what you look like on camera that kind of thing I look great I don't know about that Eddie Skye said that she got emotional watching Hillary's speech well I did too, anger you got the same thing no, I had the opposite emotion How can that be, though? You watched the same thing I did. Yeah, it's weird.
We're kind of different that way. Yeah, I had a lot of pride and, you know, it really... And you're not even a Hillary guy. No, no. Well, I'm a woman. But it just reminded me of the struggles of women and how far women have come. Like, when Hillary's mom was born, she wasn't even allowed to vote. And Hillary ran for president. Wow! But Skye, aren't we kind of past all that? Oh, we're totally past it, but I feel like sometimes I take things for granted. And it kind of reminded me of the struggles of women and really, you know, how far we've come.
And I was very proud. But you're totally here. I was proud of Hillary. You're so pretty. I was really proud of Hillary. And it just made me proud to be a woman, made me proud to be an American. And I was proud of Hillary. Yeah. She'd be like, take your bra off. And we're like, yeah, I'm doing this. No, it was already off, please. Okay, sorry. Well, see, I want there to be a time where we don't even think about it, you know? We don't even think about it. I kind of feel like that about Barack. I don't think there's a lot of people that are really pointing out that he's black. That he's black.
He's black? He's a black guy. Barack Obama? Barack. I'm black. is even crazier in this country that a black man is running for president and probably is going to win. And, I mean, that's not like a huge issue. That's pretty cool. Yeah. That's the chocolate I'm talking about. And it kind of goes to show you that we've come a long way. We're not making a big deal. Hey, listen, I remember in 88 when Jesse Jackson was running and that was a big deal.
There's a black dude running for president. That was his slogan. I'm black and I'm proud. There's a black dude running for president. I remember seeing that t-shirt. I didn't even remember what it was for. Yeah. It's hard to put it on a sticker. I mean, it was just in the, like, 91 where this country freaked out because Doug Williams was the first black quarterback to play in the Super Bowl. I mean, they freaked out. So, this is interesting. Let's see. Cut seven. When Barack Obama is in the White House, he'll revitalize our economy, defend the working people of America, and meet the global challenges of our time.
Democrats know how to do this. As I recall, we did it before with President Clinton and the Democrats. And if we do our part, we'll do it again with President Obama and the Democrats. Yes, but question, Ms. Clinton. I mean, wouldn't it stand to reason that regardless of who is elected, a Republican or a Democrat, Obama or McCain, that the economy is going to experience a rebound?
That's just the way it goes. That's just what happens. We experience a rebound. But it's not, I mean, is that a guarantee? I mean. Yeah. I would say that it goes. I mean, there's been a depression before. I know. but there was a rebound well yeah but i mean it could potentially take you know four years so it's not guaranteed to happen when the next person's in office regardless of political affiliation i say yes it will happen within these four years come on sky i mean i know it's gonna happen i hope so but i don't think it's a guarantee like you're saying it's just like this
it's like saying it's like it's like anything that you would say that the chances are like 99 you know we're we're probably gonna make it home today you know that kind of thing you know i hope so you know sky come on i hope so mike don't matter who's president i hope so mccain obama it's gonna come around she's taking credit for it already she's already saying obama will be elected the economy will turn around
and it will be because Obama is great. But what if McCain is elected and the economy comes around? The rich will get richer, Mike. Don't you pump your fists. What up? Come on, son, you get it. Were you at the McCain fundraiser last night? Did you have $10,000 to take a picture with him? I don't think so. Sky, you act like Republicans are the only ones that, like, don't try. She's dancing right now.
It's not fair. She's ridiculous. 35253, text us. 5701053 is our phone number. Get on MikeyShow.com, type in the keyword fame if you want to buy your packages to hang out with us that weekend. You know, I feel some nervousness on your part. A little bit. I'm trying to break through that. pancakes or waffles I like pancakes how come I don't know I just I don't know just better let me ask you when you go to a restaurant and you get toast and they have butter do you ever get it in those little gold tin foil packages where you have to
unwrap the butter from the little tin foil packages You ever got that? No, they used to give you the ones with the butters in between, like, two separate sheets, and you got to, like, peel it open. Okay. I've seen both of those. Those are better, by the way. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. The paper ones are better. Mm-hmm. Hold on, Rob. Rob, you like the ones where it's in the little tinfoil? Yeah. It's cold. They're always frozen. They're frozen, dude. They're cold. Absolutely not. Always, always. You have to take them and put them in between both hands and hold them in your palms to melt them. I have to side with Rob on this.
I've gotten them before where I open them up, and it's actually melted butter inside. Oh, I would love that. That would be fantastic. That'd be great. I've never liked that. I've never got them frozen. They're always frozen. Never. Were you at an outdoor taco stand in Yuma, Arizona when that happened? Always when I get them. That's where you've always been. Sing it A little Daughtry right there. It's great. Sorry about that warning. Thank you, Mikey. You got it. P1 Brownie is on the line. That's me.
Were you actually a brownie at one time? No, but I look like one. You look like a brownie. I got you. How old are you? I'm 27. You're 27. Are you Mexican? I'm so Mexican. You are so Mexican. Can you speak Spanish? Me. Yeah, really? Yeah, certainly. I was born in Mexico. Oh, really? I'm like real Mexican. When, uh, really? So how did you get to America? Actually, I'm like the only Mexican that flew here. You flew here? Yeah. So how did that happen where you were actually able to come here, I'm assuming legally? Of course.
How did that happen? We got our visa first, and then we went back for a little bit while we were getting our green card. Wow, look at you. Well, that's fantastic. What do you do? I work for HQ, which is, I just do it. I'm a CSR. Basically, I just... Well, there is a lot of letters flying around here. I'm on ABC. It's all TFN if you have a name. Okay, let me... I work for... I saw this on CNBC the other day. Go ahead. I work for executive offices. You work for executive offices, okay.
Basically. So you work for the big guys. Basically, yeah. I got you. I got you. Well, here are your categories, P1 Brownie. You got divas, 80s rock, and American Idol graduates. Which one do you want? American Idol. Yeah. Your American Idol graduates song, or question is, in the song Feels Like Tonight by Daughtry, fantastic song, by the way. Mike's favorite. Yeah. Okay. In the song Feels Like Tonight by Daughtry, he says, and it feels, oh, sorry, sorry, wait, wait, wait, I can't do that.
I can't do that. I can't do that. He says, and it feels like tonight, I can't believe I'm broken where? Oh, my gosh. I have no idea. Wow. It's broken inside. Now you can see. Like tonight, I can't believe I'm broken inside. I'm so dumb. Oh, that's a great song.
It really is. Thank you. Sorry about that, Brownie. Thanks, guys. Didn't work out for her this time. P1 Birdman is on the line. Hey, man, where you been? Yeah, man, what have you been up to? I'm just working hard, man. What do you do? I'm a sparklets water driver. Ah, how about it? Love their water. There you go. They've got great water. I'm just kidding. Delicious water. Yeah. Congratulations. Congrats to you. Thank you. All right, what do you want?
American Idol graduates, 80s rock, or divas? I'll go with Divas. You got it. Birdman. I don't know. Maybe he's into Divas. Your Divas question is, in the song Irreplaceable by Beyonce, she says, in the closet, that's my stuff. Yes, if I bought it, please don't what? Touch.
You got it. Oh, you're so cool. Yeah, she's very rich. Good, Jag. Yeah. Get your stuff. I already put it in a box. Where? To the left. Yeah, it says to the left of the closet. I get it. You're rich.
Hang on a second, okay? Yep. P1 Lindsay has been waiting patiently to play Lyrical Gangsta. Good girl. Hi, Lindsay. Hello. How old are you? 24. Really? Yep. Where'd you grow up? San Diego, California. Where'd you go to high school? Torrey Pines. Oh! Oh, really? Sorry! Nice work. Well, hello. Wow. Wow. Well, you're going to have a high school reunion coming up in about four years. Oh.
What do you do now, Lindsay? I work two jobs and I'm a single mom. There you go. Wow. All right, well, let's get you a prize. What do you say? Hopefully. I'm nervous. All right, you're going to be fine. Take a breath. Here's your categories. 80s rock, American Idol graduates, and divas. Divas. Let's do this. Your diva's question is, in Madonna's song, Crazy For You, she says, I see you through the smoky air.
Can't feel the weight of my what? Uh, feet. Oh, wow. Weird, weird, weird guess. Very odd. The Weight of My Stare. Yeah. This is rough. Yeah, it is rough. It's a rough. Vision Quest. Yeah. Feel the weight of my stare. Stare. You're so close, but still a world away. I can't end on this note.
I'm sorry, Lindsay. I'm sorry. And I'd like to give a little tip to everybody playing out there. If you don't know, guess a word that rhymes. Yeah, that's a great. You know, air, stare. Great call. Great call. It'll give you better off. That's brilliant. It's an interesting concept. P1 Summer, I want to end on a positive note. Feet. I want to end on a positive note, Summer, and I think you're just the girl to do it. You can do it. Summer, how old are you? Summer, I beg you to be there. Summer, if you're not there, Zeth is going to pay.
Oh, no. Oh, no. Summer, you better be there. What about winter or fall? Autumn? Summer's not there. Oh, no. But I will not end the game on this note. Thank you. Okay, all right. So we're going to talk to P1. Don't tase me, bro. Nice. How you doing, dude? Pretty good, pretty good. Just sitting in my car, waiting to go into work. Cool, what do you do? I work for a company called Iron Mountain. I'm a driver. Oh, I... Data protection.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. we use you guys. They do what? Data protection. Oh. Yep. We use them. Don't chase me, bro! Yeah, they do, they'll do like for big businesses, you know, but they also do like photographs, stuff like that. It's cool. Alright, dude. Here are your categories. American Idol graduates, 80s rock, and divas. 80s rock. You got it. Oh. 80s rock question is, in the song Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic by the Police. Yes, good one. He says, every little thing she does is magic.
Everything she do, just what? That's Rashawn's mom. Technically, he's right. Technically, he's right. Well, then I got to give it to you. Well, then I got to give it to you. Everything she do just turned me on. Hang on the line. Yeah, he's a winner.
You are a winner. Sean has, you know, he's pushed his chair away from the microphone. That's his problem. He's got a look on his face like, okay, this is going to be like this, I guess. Well, there was a lyrical gangsta. Yeah, that was really fun. I'd say we ended on a positive note. I wouldn't say we didn't. We ended on a sexy note. It's all a difference of opinion. 570-1053 is the number.

Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. I'm picking up some more brake lights on our freeways here this morning. The South 15, especially heavy from the 78 now down the Via Rancho Parkway. Watch for an accident clearing on the Sycamore Avenue on-ramp to eastbound 78 here as well in the North County. South 5 looking good for you down the shoreline, though. We've got westbound 56 starting to back up a bit as well from Carmel Valley Road to the 5 freeway. Getting tough as well as Santee. Westbound 52, slow and go from the 125 all the way to the top of the Mission Hill Trail Summit. West 8, though, clear in the Mission Valley. No worries there.
The West 94 King Freeway looking good in downtown. And things are pretty good out of the South Bay and the 5 freeway. 805, however, starting to back up from Division up towards Imperial Avenue. More slowing from the 15 into North Park. And now you've got the usual slowdown developing out of Kearney Mesa, heading up with brake lights over the 52. I'm McLaurin's on Rock 105.3. Mikey Show. Hey, people, I'm Brad. What's up, Brad? I went to Sleep Train, got myself one of the freaking nicest mattresses there. They gave me it for less than half-bite. What kind of mattress? I got the Sturgeon Foster Silver Dream.
That's the one I have. That thing is supposed to be like $69.95 or something. I think I got it out the door $28.50. I got it for $3,200, and then somebody else at another store beat my price, so they came back and beat it by 5%. Damn. That's nice. And they gave me free mattress cover, free pillow covers. What size did you get? A twin, or what did you get it? I got the California King. Oh, you big pimp. Ashley's in. Oh, dude, it's pretty comfortable, huh? I'm still waiting to get it.
I have a roommate that's moving out soon, and it's going to go in that room. Oh, it's the greatest bed ever. That's the mattress I sleep on. It was so freaking comfortable at the showroom. Yeah, did you get in there and take a nap and take pictures? Pictures. We love you, Brad. Thank you, Brad. Later. We'll see you. The Mikey Show. It's another Mikey moment. Men do not feel the same way about sexual intimacy the way that women feel about sexual intimacy, Which is why, there's a million reasons why most of it has to do with my faith.
But I always say, I don't think it's a good idea to have sex before you get married. Now, my reasoning is because. I thought you always said hit it and quit it. No, I never said that. I thought that was what Mike was saying. I mean, that's what your t-shirt says right now. Well, that is true, but that's only promotional. It's a promotional item. I feel like a freebie. It's a new show called Hit It and Quit It, new on Fox. It's a new device from Ron Popeil. That's right. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. Woo!
Yeah. Welcome back. I feel like I can't stand still anymore. Are you with me? You got a mic, here's the band, now get your feet off the floor. Yeah, rhythm guitar underneath it going na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na. It's 7.33. Twelve extras from Tom Cruise's upcoming World War II drama have filed a lawsuit against Tom's production company for $11 million.
Major League Baseball is going to start using instant replay starting tomorrow. Ah. Very limited fashion. Don't freak out. Really? Yeah, I like to determine home run calls, whether they're fair or foul, that kind of stuff. Sky, why is Tom Cruise's production company being sued? So, you know that World War II, like, Hitler assassination movie that Tom Cruise... Valkyrie. Valkyrie. That's not it. It's a battle of the Valkyrie.
I know, but that's not... Isn't that... That's not what this is about. No? No, no, no, no. But that's a battle of the Valkyrie. What is Valkyrie? It's a... War? Very famous person. Come on, Seth. You got to know what Valkyrie is, right? Rob, do you know? I don't. I thought you were a historian. Yeah. I just didn't read about that part. I would say it's a Viking woman. Valkyrie Viking woman. That sounds good. Thank you. I think Valkyrie is a new birth control.
No. It's a new birth. They have Depo-Provera. They have orthotricycline, and they have Valkyrie, I think, is new on the market. I mean, why would you fly, like, fly to our Battle of the Valkyries? Why would it battle? It flies your hormones right into your body. That's true. Yep. I think it has something to do with Greek mythology. Ig Valkyrie? Yeah. Remember, the great Valkyrie would come out of the ocean. Oh, stop. Okay. Well, anyway, back to the point. So, 12 extras from the movie are... are suing Tom Cruise's production company for $11 million
because they were injured on the set last year. I guess they were in this German Army truck, and they took a corner, and the door flew open, and they flew out of the car, and some suffered broken bones, cuts, bruises. So witnesses say that the truck's side panel had not been properly secured. And so these people are blaming the production company and want them held accountable for $11 million. Well, you know, listen, if you got hurt and you can't work and your livelihood is dependent on that work, then I guess, you know, you should get paid. But who knows, like, to what extent they were actually hurt.
It's 11 of them. 12 of them suing for $11 million. All right, so here's what we got. In Norse mythology, the Valkyries are minor female deities who served Odin. Betty, you were right? I don't know what any of that meant. Thank you. How did you know that? Pretty good. It's something, I remember something in comic books about a Valkyrie. That's how I learned all my stuff. Nice. The Valkyrie's purpose was to determine the victors of battles and wars and to choose the most heroic of those who had died in battle.
I never knew that. That's something to do with Thor. Thor? Yeah. Did it really? Yeah. Because he was a Viking, right? He was a Norse God. Oh, what? Okay. I don't know what any of this means. A Norse God. What is that? It's like a Viking. Show off. There it is. Let's see. 570-1053 is the number. 35253 is our text number. This political stuff is heating up. DNC is going on.
Crazy. My mom and dad, they don't even, they're no fun. What do you mean? Well, they don't really want to talk about anything. I'll get into them a little bit about the politics, but they're not that interested. I grew up in an all-liberal house. Oh, really? Like Sky. No, I did not grow up in an all-liberal house. My father is a Republican and has always been. Your dad is a Republican? What are you talking about? Is that for real? How can that be? He looks like a hippie, but he has always been a Republican. No.
Why are you the way that you are? Yes. Because of awesomeness? No. Yeah. Why don't you be like your dad? Why do you lie, liar? This guy, did he talk about politics when you were growing up or no? No, not really. I mean, you know, not that I paid attention to or anything, but he's a like, he's like a huge money guy. You know, everything's about money. You know, he's like, if you go to his house, it's like, whatever that money. Made out of money. No. It's made out of money. He always has, like, the scrolling, the stock market scrolling.
He, like, goes to bed at, like, 3 in the morning so he can watch, like, the European markets open or the Asian markets or something. I don't know. Really? He's always listening to Money Talk on the radio, which isn't, it's not carried here on the radio in San Diego. It's carried in L.A. So he has to go sit in, like, a certain area of the house and put on this, like, Walkman so he can get reception to hear Money Talk every single day. Really? He could probably be streaming it on the internet. Yeah, and so I have learned that it's probably better not to talk politics because we definitely disagree on quite a few things,
and I didn't really realize we were that different. Does that ever become a problem? Well, you say that because the booze Nana was in town. Oh, Nana. Nana. This is a party. You've got to love Nana. How old is Nana? i think she is either creeping on 70 or 70 really yeah yeah the women on the boo side are you know kind of young like my grandma she's you know in her almost in her mid-80s but anyway so nana is in town and um we're all having this barbecue and my dad didn't end up coming and we
all started talking politics and i just couldn't even imagine nana and my dad in the same room talking politics because it would get so ugly so she's real libby oh she's hardcore liberal she was like a huge hillary supporter she still you know has a chip on her shoulder yeah she's not senile she's very youthful very together woman um but yeah it's it's kind of a trip i i don't really know how politically i turned out the way i did and i never really realized until probably the last five years how conservative republican my dad is that's crazy isn't that weird well would your is your dad outspoken enough that he would have said something to her or is your dad the type that would
have stayed quiet these are my thoughts my dad is i believe the smartest person i know like my dad like but wait you're sitting in the room with a couple of guys i know very little about her dad when she talks about him like this i'm like really like i had no idea like my dad watches jeopardy and knows every single answer that is my dad and we've told him so many times you need to go on the show and he won't he was like a history double major anyway so what was the question sorry i'm sleep deprived oh is your dad the type to be outspoken and say something um well he's very very smart and so he definitely is willing to have the conversation and give his
opinion um you know it'll never turn ugly with my dad because my dad is very passive like the you know that's just kind of how are you like this my dad is very passive my mother is you know the one who's kind of you know the more outspoken one but um but nana she's crazy outspoken like she so so if my dad were to even say something in fun to nana it probably would have turned into like a huge thing because when nana was going off like we were talking because she's a latina and she's very proud of that and and my mom was there and we were talking about you know things that define you and my mom was saying to nana mexicanness exactly and my mom was saying to nana about how
like well yes you're a latina but you also are a lot of other things you know and nana did not like hearing that she did not care for that so that's your mom talking to your husband's grandmother yeah yeah and then and nana didn't like that no nana did not like that what did she say she was like no i'm a latina and i was like yes i you know definitely but you're also a woman you're also a mother you're also an american and i could tell nana was kind of getting her and so that immediately made me think oh my gosh if my dad was here right now and started talking about
how he's voting for mccain and oh it would have been a mess but yeah and you never have conversation with him about it um because like you beat us up non-stop non-stop occasionally occasionally we will 24 7 never ends all the time yeah occasionally we will yeah i will stop it occasionally we will and i'll kind of always cave because it'll start to get to that awkward point like the last time we had a conversation i forget what it was exactly about but i was saying something to the point where i think was about the current administration where my dad had no
out you know he knew he was wrong so he like resorts back to clinton hooking up with lewinski you know and i'm like okay that's not even what we're talking about let's not but a valid point so i figured you know what we better just keep this to ourselves we're both right right hey does this happen to you and your family 5701053 i know it's weird especially this time coming up on the election getting families especially like in-laws together 35253 yeah does your does your family fight about politics do you fight about politics within your family
in other words you get into it with your wife oh you know i couldn't i can't i can't imagine being married right to someone if they you know because usually you are attracted to somebody based on their political views well my mom's a independent yeah so she doesn't always vote with the republican party she act you know lots of times votes with the democratic party which is interesting so their votes wait so they're out wait my mom is a registered independent okay so she'll vote republican if she likes the candidate yeah or democrat if she likes that who's the last republican she voted for do you know i would love love to know the answer to that
gosh i hope it wasn't it wasn't i i'll guarantee you that because i mean in in conservative land yeah w is conservative uh real conservative but what's interesting to me about see for me it's all the moral and social stuff that is a i i vote with my pocketbook like a lot of us do like my dad and but aside from that there is absolutely no way in the world that i could ever vote against the social issues that i believe in i could never vote for somebody that's pro-choice
i would never ever ever in a million years ever vote for anybody that was pro-choice and i don't care what their thing meant to my pocketbook i could never do it i could never rationalize that or support it um and it's weird to me like the whole issue you know because i never thought about When I was in high school, when I was in high school, it was like, well, if my girlfriend ever gets pregnant, cause I didn't wear a rubber, I want her to be able to get an abortion. I just always thought that way. And I was like, oh, I want to be able to have that out if I need it. I never thought about it like the way that I do now after having a kid, but also because of my faith, I just, there's no way. way so i can never go that way but i wonder what about you folks that have these conversations
in your family or with your wife yeah like i need to keep my dad and nana away from each other until after november oh yeah yeah it wouldn't be pretty i don't even and then what do i do you know i love my dad i love nana like ah stop let's all get along 570-1053 is the number p1 rima hi mikey how you doing good how are you i'm good so my fiance and i have gotten into a um a few heated discussions regarding politics and he's actually probably listening to this right now what are you what
is he what's that what are you and what is he he is a staunch conservative republican and i am a liberal democrat how did you now how long now you guys you say that this is your fiance how long have you guys been going out four and a half years and at what point did you learn that you did not share the same political views probably the second day i knew him really wow but the attraction was still there and you guys uh you know obviously had good chemistry and hit it off exactly now do you guys but you guys pretty regularly get into it um not as much as we used to because i think
we've learned that it's probably not the best conversation to have too often what is your what is your like what what would you say is like one of the biggest things that you fundamentally disagree on? Oh gosh, there's not really just one actually. Um, if you had to, okay, well maybe you can give me a couple or whatever, but yeah, what are the big things that you guys really disagree about? Um, I think one of the bigger ones is the war in Iraq. Um, I think that's probably a big one for just about anybody who disagrees about politics these days. Um, what do you, let me,
Yeah, I want to ask you, what do you think the Republican take is on the war in Iraq? Well, here's the thing about that. I don't think we disagree about what's happening now too much. I think we hugely disagree about how it started. Okay, that makes sense. I think that's where we really get into it. Yeah, yeah, that makes total sense. Yeah. That makes total sense. Well, I appreciate the call, Rima. Good luck. P1 Fish. Good morning, Mikey. What's up, dude? Hey, I was in Texas, and I was in a house that my dad owned.
And I was staying there for a little while, and it was during George Bush's second run for president. And I would have voted for Mickey Mouse if he was going to the Democratic Party. I feel you. But my dad kept putting a George Bush sign in my yard. Well, his yard that I was staying in. And it kept ending up on the ground, and he kept putting it back. How did it end up on the ground? Yeah, you guys have a lot of tornadoes? I grazed it. Yeah, you grazed it. He kept putting it up. Well, one day I grazed it a little bit hard and it broke. And it ended up in a pile of trash.
I don't know how well. We got in a pretty heated debate. And, you know, it ended up getting... And he kept getting mail from George Bush as a contributor. And he never got that mail. I don't know what... That's so strange. You don't know what happened. Oh, that's a federal offense, my friend. You had very spirited conversations, as they say, and it sounds like sometimes the correspondents were a little messed up. Yeah, yeah, I don't know how that kept happening. Yeah, yeah. He was a very strong, strong-willed Texan, and you know how those Republicans are. Yep.
How about Hillary? Thanks, Mike. Oh, gosh. How about Hillary? Yeah, she was good. She's a loser. Hey. She is. She's great. P1 Kathy. Good morning. Losing. How you doing? Shush. Good, good. I just wanted to sympathize with Skye. Both my mother and father are ultra-conservative. Yeah. And actually my whole family is. I'm the only Democrat. But both my grandmothers were Democrats. Really? Yes. I work for a union, so I'm as liberal as you get. Hello. Yeah. And my father, he always says Bush isn't conservative enough for him that he voted for McClintock.
That's how conservative he is. Whoa, lady. But I will say I got him back when Bush's first term. um sitting around breakfast and uh we're talking about politics and uh i go so dad what's up with your president he's spending like a drunken democrat what's going on yeah what did he say oh he couldn't say anything he reverted back to the the clinton years of uh right like why do they do that we're not even talking about that it's a trump card right that's all they've got i guess I wouldn't say it's all we've got.
What else do you have to do with Bush? I think, well, it's hard to fight. It's hard to fight. You've got the child left behind, which is a disaster. You have the law, which is a disaster. You have his spending. The deficit is a disaster. I mean, what's good about Bush? No, I can't defend W. What? I can't defend W, but I can defend. That's where Republicans got nothing. Yeah, but what W did is he went in there and he made foolishness of what Republicans are all about, which is not spending dough and not telling you how to run the government. Exactly.
Well, my biggest thing is, I mean, I would consider myself fiscally conservative, so I agree wholeheartedly with balanced budgets and reduced deficit and be responsible about your spending. I'm absolutely in favor of that. But social issues, I mean, government should stay out of our social lives. And you're pro-choice. Oh, yeah. Now, I would say I agree with actually Hillary's approach to it, which is let's match up unwanted pregnancies of women with people that can't have children. That's a great idea.
Let's match people up and network those people rather than these huge abortions. Everything can be like Juno. It'll be perfect. Oh, it would, Eddie. It really would. Well, I mean, that's the, you know, that would be the best alternative. There's so many couples out there and so many single women. Yeah, listen, if Hillary says, if you can't have kids and we're going to match you up with people that would have otherwise had an abortion and we're going to make abortion illegal in the United States, man, Hillary, you're sounding pretty good to me. Well, and that's where I, you know, the illegal aspect is still, you know, I mean, my problem is that if you're pro-life, And I'm going to get you on this, Mike.
If you're pro-life, why aren't you willing to take care of the children once they're born? Well, because I'll tell you why. I'll tell you why. Because you don't have universal health care to take care of these children yet. Because I don't want to be, because as a government, I don't want to be spending that kind of dough. I want people to be accountable for themselves. Well, they're accountable if they decide that they can't care for this child that they're caring. If they can't care for them and they can't provide health care for them. I see what you're saying. And that's a life, right? I see what you're saying. are these kids but can you tell me how you rationalize killing somebody well it's not killing somebody because the child is dependent upon the mother to live and the mother should be
able to make that choice the child is dependent upon the mother to live yet it's living well but that's what i mean to survive it has to have the i mean it's a it's an interdependency yeah But let me ask you, is it, is it, is it dead or is it living? It's growing. Is it dead or is it living? Well, I'm not going to say it's living per se because. No, it's not. It's got a heartbeat that's moving and going.
It's not independently living. There you go. That's perfect sky. Exactly. It's not independently living. so we now are saying that unless something it's okay for it to be alive we'll kill it but as long as it isn't independent of the mom it doesn't matter and it won't grow into being something alive i'm saying that the mother should have a choice to decide whether she wants to murder or not what is it you gotta look at the definition of murder gotta look at the definition of murder sounds like you guys disagree we may disagree you may be the perfect couple if you would agree to single-payer universal health care for everyone if you believe in life that much if
you could agree to that then i could agree to um my my definition my definition of taking a life or murder is not dependent upon social issues and spending money but i mean how is this child going to survive if no one is going to care for it if the government if the mother doesn't want the baby but she's not allowed to get rid of the baby and nobody wants the kid and the government isn't going to step up she's not allowed to get rid of the baby she's not allowed to have an abortion okay well not allowed to get rid of it and once she has it it's abandonment if she leaves it yeah i feel i feel that to raise you're saying there's not other options like adoption and things
like that well there might be but there there often isn't yeah and the government has to take care of that child until yeah and if abortion is illegal we're going to have so many orphans what does that mean it might be but often isn't what does that mean what was the whole sentence right eddie asked what so they can't get adopted and she said well they might be but if you truly believe in life why wouldn't everyone have health care because that's how you live right you have to have listen i i i agree with you i wish we could all have health care universal health care, but I also want us to remember
the world powerhouse in our defense as well and there's also things that you we have to spend money on uh that you know we just can't uh you know fiscally do everything right but we're spending the most in the in the world on health care yet we are 37th in the world as far as quality is concerned yeah the thing that the thing that the thing that breaks down in your argument for me is that one thing is predicated on another thing. In other words, if I say it is wrong to slap a woman and you say back to me,
okay, well, if you're going to say that and obviously protecting women is really important to you, then shouldn't we make sure that every woman in the United States has like a rape whistle bought for them? You're predicating one thing on something completely different. I'm talking about not hurting a woman and you're taking it a step further and saying, oh, okay, well, if we're not going to hurt women, then we've got to do this. No, no, we don't necessarily have to do that. I'm just saying we shouldn't be hurting women. Just like I'm saying we shouldn't be, we shouldn't be, we shouldn't be killing the kid.
And you're saying, okay, well, let's put something else on top of that. I'm not even just talking about the kid. I'm talking about every person. If you're in favor of life, you're talking about living. No, no, no. I'm not. What I'm talking about is unborn children. You're saying that I'm talking about life in general, and we can get all philosophical if you want to do that. I'm not talking about life in general. I'm talking about an unborn child. But you're pro-life. Well, you're saying you're pro-life. Exactly. Yes, I am pro-living as opposed to pro-death. I don't believe in the death penalty either, which is real weird for conservatives.
Most conservatives believe in the death penalty. That is interesting, yeah. I don't believe in the death penalty for the same reason that I don't believe in abortion. But that's the thing, if you believe, are you only in favor of life for the unborn, but once they're born, who gives a crap? No, no, I'm not. That's what I'm saying is that if we're actually in health care, how do people live? I'm in control. And the only way to do that is with universal health care? Like, that's ridiculous. Well, like I say, there's still in California, SB 840. What? SB 840. I don't know what that means.
I don't either. It's a sunburn. He'll go to the governor's desk next week. What is it? Tell us what it is. It's a single-payer health care system that would save millions of dollars for everyone, and everyone would have access to health care. I'll tell you what, Kathy. I am 100% for making sure that everybody in the United States is represented with health care. I wish that we had a universal health care system. I also wish that unicorns and rainbows lived in my backyard. Yeah, that would be great. And grazed on gold grass. Well, you can write to the governor and let him know to sign SB 840. Thank you very much.
I wish they would bring back Arrested Development. Oh, that would be so good, Eddie. That'd be great. I'm going to run on that platform. You should. Not that many people got it. That was the problem. I know. I won't, man, bud. So, when we come back, would you like to hear about the guy in Kentucky that got arrested for making a hog joke? I have details on it. Yeah, field trip. Yeah, we're flying out to California. Wow. We're going to be in Chula Vista at the Olympic Training Center. Everybody listening right now is invited to come down and watch. Eddie and B-Rob are going to be doing their Olympic competition together.
That's right, baby. Talk about it, Mike. No, it's going to be great. Let the games begin. Three events. They're going to be doing the 100-meter dash. A little bit longer than a football field. That's a long ways. I was thinking it was shorter. Can we take a break halfway? Take a nap. Smoke break. Smoke break. So you're going to do the 100-meter dash. You are also going to do Greco-Roman wrestling. Eddie, how much do you weigh approximately?
Now, probably 250. How tall are you? Six feet. And Rob? Five, eight and a quarter. No, Rob is five, eight and a quarter. Not really. Come on, cutie. Exactly, on the dot. In stilettos. How much do you weigh? Weighed myself last week, 169. Have a sandwich, bro. Will you have a sandwich already? So I only have like a hundred pound weight advantage. Stand up, Rob. Stand up. Oh, my gosh. Pull up your shirt. Pull up your shirt. Pull up your shirt. We need to consult with HR. Turn to the side.
Oh, my gosh. Pull your shirt up. Is it ridiculous? No, no, it's actually not. He's pooching out his stomach. Don't do that. You're pooching out your stomach. And please check out the stubble from where he has shaved. You guys. It'll be hard to look at. You shave your stomach? Heck yeah, dude. What is he talking about? I don't know, but when he says heck yeah. I'm not going to wrestle a gay guy. Wait a minute. That seems weird. That isn't competing. Do you guys notice that he does the thing that girls that have like eating disorders, when you go, let me see, and they push their belly out as hard as they can so that it looks
like they're fat and you don't give them a hard time about their weight? This is out of control over weight for me. Yeah, it is. Like, I think Rob looks great. He's perfect. Like, when he gets too skinny is when he's like 155. Yeah, yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Like 170 for his height and everything. How much do you weigh? I got the indents in the cheeks and, you know, the real, like, tired. I don't have an eating disorder. How much do you weigh right now? 169 as of last week, but it's been a week of, like, not, like. I can pick him up over my head. No doubt about it. Absolutely. We'll do it right now. Absolutely. Well, they're going to Greco-Roman wrestle.
Yeah, Eddie, let's see. Well, wait, someone may get hurt. I mean, we don't have the mats here right now. Pick them up. Are they going to do it here? Eddie's going to pick him up. Eddie's picking him up. Oh, he's up in the air. Oh, my. Eddie just picked him up like a rag doll. This looks dangerous to me. Like a rag doll. Okay. No hands. He was just up over Eddie's head. That was impressive, Eddie. You didn't need to give him the butt spank after you put him back. Hey, Zeth just IM-ed me that Rob weighed 202 when he first started with us. Yeah, he did.
Yeah, yeah. 202? Yeah. Wow. He's doing nothing but anorexia will do for you. I weigh 206, and I would love to weigh 169. Oh, man. You can do it, dude. All right, I'm going to give it a shot. I've weighed 169 since the third grade. So they are going to Greco, Roman, and Russell. Oh, I'm just not looking forward to it. You saw him just pick me up. Rob, use your speed. Use your speed. Use your speed. But once he gets a hold of me. Yeah, once he gets a hold of you, it's over.
But try to get away from him. Squirm. But that's not the point of wrestling. I'm not trying to run. It's not tag. That is true. Can we change that to tag? TV tag or something? Tag's an Olympic sport. How about Red Rover? Scrabble. The last event they're going to compete in is archery. That one I have no idea. I don't know either, but I play darts all the time. It's just on a bigger scale. It's going to be electric.
It's going to be absolutely electric. There's going to be actual Olympians at the event there on Friday. They're going to laugh at you guys. What do you mean? I'm just saying. I'm just saying they will. We could have been in Beijing. As a tourist? Yes. Have you seen my trampoline skills? I know how to play ping pong. Yes. Ping pong. Ping pong. Ping pong. Ping pong. Ping pong. Oh. Remember this? Do you remember those sultry sounds right there? Let the romance begin.
We do something here on the show called Secret Crush. Now, we have not done Secret Crush in months. And it isn't because we haven't got people that have written us about it. It's just that they stink. I'm being honest. we've been looking at him and well, Eddie would come to me with the emails and he would kind of shrug
and hand it to me and I would say, well, why are you getting, and he goes you might like it if you've heard Secret Crush in the past you know, there's one of two things that happens, one, you know it's really emotional and they get together and it's this beautiful story or it's an utter disaster. Either way, I love it. But, you know, the ones that are coming in, it's like they already kind of know each other as far as, like, dating. None of them make sense, you know? He showed me one.
We get this, too. We'll get guys writing in, dude, this chick's really hot. Show me those chicks really hot. Or they saw a girl at, like, Starbucks. Don't know her name. She was a customer there one day. And we're supposed to find this girl. And it's like, huh? Creepy. The idea is of Secret Crush is that we get to listen to your nervousness and uncomfortableness. And that is... is electrifying on the radio. You get to use The Mikey Show as a great, big, giant jumbotron in San Diego.
And if you know someone and you have a crush on them, you write us, go to MikeyShow.com, you write us, you tell us. Know her first name, please. That's a very good idea. And a way to contact her. That's right. Like a phone number or something. You call us, you tell us who you have a crush on, and then we will publicly, we'll get you on the radio, we'll call, we'll say hello to the person, and then we'll let you take over.
I'll instruct you. I'll help you along. This one is unbelievable. Yeah, that's why we're doing it again. This one is unbelievable. P1 Jared, are you there? Yeah. Jared, how are you? I'm good. How are you? We're good. We can tell that you're a little nervous. I don't want you to be nervous. I want you to relax and don't think about the fact that the Mikey show is highly rated and there's hundreds of thousands of people listening. I don't want you to think about that. No, I'm just kidding.
Listen, dude. This is not as hard as you think it is. In fact, I bet one way or another, no matter what way it goes, you're going to be relieved when it's all over. Now, Mike. Yeah. Normally, I would say, well, what's the worst that could happen? Right. She could say no. But in this case, this is a lot that could happen. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What's up? Don't be nervous. Jared, tell everybody, Jared wants to let Tina know that he has a crush on her. And, Jared, why don't you tell everybody who Tina is?
Tina is a receptionist where I work. I work in sales. And I guess the rub is that she happens to be my boss's daughter. Oh, my God. Okay, we need to. How you like me now? You are the man. You are the man, dude. I don't even know where to begin. That is so juicy. Well, Jared, let's just get some specifics down, okay? Yeah.
And if you've never heard Secret Crush, we're going to call her live on the radio. And he's going to tell her that he has a crush on her, and we're going to see what she says. Jared, how old are you? I am 27. All right. And why don't you describe yourself to us a little bit so the audience gets a feeling about who you are, what you look like? You know, I'm, you know, pretty normal looking. I'm about a little tall, 6'1", and brown hair, green eyes, you know, work out moderately. And that's pretty much me, you know.
Let's see. How much do you weigh? I weigh about 190. He's 6'1", 190. He's got brown hair, green eyes. He's 27 years old. And Tina is the boss's daughter, and he's got a crush on her. She's a receptionist where they work. Where do you guys work? You don't have to tell me where you work, but what kind of business is it? Well, we work in sales of mainly corrugated boxes. Oh, okay. All right. What the heck is that? Okay.
Sounds boring. We sell, like, boxes to, like, different types of companies and stuff. That's a specialized box. That's fascinating. Listen, Jared. Yes, I use them all the time. All right, now I want to know about Tina. I want you to tell me about Tina, okay? How old is Tina? Tina is 21. Oh, wow. Look at you. Yeah, dude. Daddy's not going to like this. All right. Skye, don't say Daddy's not going to like this. What if Daddy likes Jared? Daddy can like Jared, but I don't know if Daddy's going to like the, you know, six-year age difference.
That's not that bad. Come on, now. Well, it's not that bad, but like we've said before, someone in their early 20s versus someone in their late 20s there's a lot of growth that goes on in between there so i don't know jared what does tina look like tina has dark curly hair yeah yeah exactly sorry my phone was left on vibrate she has dark curly hair yeah she's very like kind of wears dark clothes a little bit you know she's a little bit i don't know a little bit artsy in that way that's very very attractive
It's something I'm not used to, but we definitely have a look. What color eyes? Her eyes are green also. And approximately how much does she weigh? Oh, wow. Oh, I wouldn't have any idea, maybe. Is that a bad question? You better money up. Don't answer that. Two bills. Don't answer that. I wouldn't answer that. Eddie's guesstimating 200 pounds? You know, I don't know. She's a heavy girl, if that was true. I'm just guessing. Are you fat? Okay, how tall is Tina approximately, Jared? We don't have to say how much she weighs.
That is probably rude. But how tall is she? She's not tall. I would say a little over five feet tall. Okay. Oh, wow, she's tiny. A little tiny. A little tiny. Okay, now, what is your relationship like with the boss? You know, Tina's dad. What kind of employee are you? Yeah, what kind of employee are you? What's your relationship with him like? You know, I've been there two and a half years. He did hire me directly. I wouldn't say we're, you know, we're close, so we don't really hang out.
So, you know, it's a very, very much a boss-employee relationship. You know, we work, you know, but we're not, like, the best of friends or anything like that. And what is the relationship, what's your relationship like with Tina? Is this going to be a complete shock to her, or do you think that she knows? Oh, she knows. There's been a lot of flirting. There's no question that there's a spark, but it's just a matter of the situation that we're in. And that's why I haven't made a move, because of the situation.
But there's a spark, definitely, between us. You know what worries me? What? You know how a lot of times guys think there's a spark? Oh, Mike, don't. Don't. Come on. You mean when they're convinced there is one? Well, when they are not only convinced, they're certain. they're certain sky jared what is tina's relationship like with her dad is like she like daddy's little girl or is it very she's still at home yeah these i want to know more about that still at home what's her relationship like with dad well i know that that uh he adores her you know that's for sure and um you know she's very much an independent person though you
You can tell she's a little bit, you know, rebellious. I have a feeling she might have, like, earlier on gone through, like, a goth stage or something like that. She's just kind of dark. She reads a lot, and I have a feeling she's very independent. What, Eddie? Well, that just doesn't seem like a very smart move, and I'll be honest. Not only does he work with us, you know, he wants to go out with somebody he works with, which is iffy, but it's the boss's daughter. Let's just say you guys go out, it doesn't work out. You're screwed, dude.
Like, why are you doing this? But what if it does? Like, you know, Bunny Boo was my boss's son, and look at us. We're married. We're happily married. Totally different. How is that different? You were working at a restaurant. So? A corrugated box factory is like... But he's been working there in sales for two and a half years. Yeah, I knew my husband's mother for four years before I met my husband. But we were friends. I went to her bachelorette party. No way. Yeah, it's creepy, but anyway. But anyway.
That is a little strange. Well, who knew I was going to turn into her daughter-in-law a couple years? You know, who knew? Well. It could work out, Jared. Don't let him get you out. Hey, I, you know, I'm an optimist. Sure, I would want it to work out. I just, there's a risk. A little risk involved. You either break up or you get married. Or your name is Goldie Hawn. You either break up. Couldn't he beat Kurt Russell? You get married or your name is Kurt Russell. Well, your name is Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. Because they're the only example I can think of of people, for the most part, that have not broken up or got married. But that's what you do.
So if it does work out, Eddie's right, man. If it doesn't work, it's bad because, you know, you work there. You get a little piece of the company. Oh, Eddie. I don't think that's his intention. Hey, do you know what her living situation is? Does she live on her own? Does she have roommates? Does she live at home? What is her living situation? No, she lives with roommates. All right. Let's call her. Oh. What we will do is we're going to take a quick timeout. And when we come back, we are going to call Tina and the boss's daughter.
And you're going to tell her how you feel about her live on the radio. Is that cool? Yeah. Why did she say no, Mike? He's got to go to work. He's got to go to work in 20 minutes. Hey, couldn't you wait until we were in commercial to say that? Oh, yeah. I'll say that. Hey, Jared. I'll say it again. Jared, are you leaving for work? What, do you leave at 9? Yeah. Yeah, he told me he starts at 9. I'm like, dude. Oh, my. You're crazy, bro. Okay, we'll be right back. This is the Mikey Show.

So what's your hurry? Did you know that if you slowed down just a little, you'd get better mileage? It's true. If you drove 55 miles per hour on the highway instead of 65 miles per hour, you could go about 30 to 60 more miles on a tank of gas. It's like the story of the tortoise and the hare. You know, slow and steady wins the race, and that also applies to city driving.
When you're stopped at a traffic light and it turns green, avoid the jackrabbit start. Don't punch the gas. It's not a race. Just accelerate smoothly and gradually. And let's face it, you'll catch up to those other cars at the next light anyway. So remember, a heavy foot equals a light gas tank. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. So, Autobahn-tuned engine, what do you think? Still looking at some tough spots on our freeways here this morning. The South 15 out of Escondido. Still a slow one off the 78 down of the Rancho Parkway. Then you've got some pretty speeds again through Rancho Bernardo and Carmel Mountain Ranch. The westbound 56, got plenty of brake lights here coming out of Rancho Panosquitos. Backed up approaching Camino del Sur. From there, it's pretty solid all the way to the 5 freeway now. Heading south on that 5 under the north county, you will find a back up here from Santa Fe Drive out of Encinitas into Solana Beach.
East county commute, westbound 52, still finding some stuff over the top of the summit out of Santee. And then it backs up again through San Clemente Canyon underneath the 805 to the 5 freeway. And that's because trying to get on that 5 is very tough. Northbound 5 right now is just a crawl from the 8th freeway through Mission Bay up to a bad crash that was blocking lanes at La Jolla Village Drive. And that's the reason for that mess. 805, northbound out of the South Bay, you'll not look okay to a national city. Once you get into North Park, though, it's very, very heavy. Approaching University Avenue up to El Cone Boulevard. Backs up again, coming over Mission Valley to Mesa College. Get you one more time for a slow ride out of Cranny Mesa from Balboa.
Heading up bumper to bumper to Governor Drive in the Golden Triangle. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. From the Cricket Wireless Studios, this is the home of the Mikey Morning Show. I only eat, like, leaves and stuff. And they're super gassy. Yeah, that's what I heard. K-I-O-C. San Diego's Rock. 105.3, the Mikey Show. It's another Mikey moment. P1, Marcus, haven't you come in before? Yeah, about a good year ago.
Okay. How old are you now? 16. Look at that. Hi, Mikey. Holy cow. Peace out, yo. Thanks, dude. That was so rad. I've got a ghost. SpongeBob is on. You're listening to Mikey. Rock 105.3. Seth is full on 80s out today, man. He is just full on 80s out. We are young. It is 8.31.
Nicolette Sheridan and Michael Bolton announced yesterday that they have ended their relationship. Whoa, I thought they were engaged. They were. Wow. Okay, fantasy footballers, pay attention. Okay, okay. These guys are not going to be available to you for the first six weeks of the season because they were placed on the pup list. I'll take them anyway. You don't want to do that. First round, I'll take them. You don't want to do that. I'll take them first round. I'll take them first round. Cadillac Williams? Yep, first pick. No, well, no, you don't want to do that. Round one, round one, first pick. Hope I pick second. Super Bowl hero, David Tyree? Second pick, hopefully. Second round, early. Take him early.
The Browns, Joe Jervicious? Got him. And sorry, Rob, but Patriots guard Stephen Neal out for the first six weeks of the season. There it is. What about this? I don't want to. This is... I don't want to. Shocking and jaw-dropping. Yeah, and you should make me nervous about it. You should be. I was optimistic, and now I'm nervous. No, you're not. Well, I don't want to say that. Hey, do I have her number? I'm just nervous. I need her number. Hello, Jared.
Hello. How are you doing? A little nervous. Was it a long time on hold? Yes. Did that feel like a long time? An eternity. Yes. All right, here's what we're going to do. Just want to update everybody. We haven't done Secret Crush in months. Only reason we're doing it is because we got a doozy. Jared wrote us and said that he wants to tell the boss's daughter that he has a crush on her and that he'd like to take her out. That takes rocks.
I do. So what we're going to do is we're going to call Tina and he's going to tell her how he feels. Mike, give Jared the pep talk. I will. Okay, good. I'm nervous. Jared is 27 years old. He's 6'1", with brown hair and green eyes. He weighs about 190 pounds. Tina is the receptionist where he works and she's 21 she has dark curly hair green eyes and we don't know how much she weighs or how tall she is no she's a little thing remember oh yeah yeah yeah she's five feet tall but we
discussed that's not appropriate to guess how much a woman weighs so what we're gonna do is we're gonna call we're gonna call tina right now and jared uh i'm gonna give you a little instruction yes help him um i want you and the thing is you got to remember that we're on the radio here so aside from the fact that this is going to work for you no matter who you are this is very important because we're on the radio you really have to tell tina how you feel about her and what i mean by that is i want you to tell tina what it's like when
you're around her how you feel inside i want you to tell i want you to tell tina about how great she smells i want you to tell tina about how beautiful you think she is how you deserve a raise wait no well no there we go necessarily there i want you to tell her how often you think about her and how it makes you smile every time you do. I want you to tell her things that will make her little face. five-foot heart pitter-pat.
Tell her how pissed you are you didn't get a Christmas bonus last year from your chief dad. I wouldn't go there just yet. I wouldn't go there second date. Definitely second date conversation. You're right. And so here is what we're going to do. I'm going to call Tina. I'm going to let her know who we are and that we're on the radio and then, Jared, you get to take over, okay? Okay. Oh, no. Oh, no. Love it. Hang on. Hang on.
Here we go, Jared. Hello. hi is tina in please this is hey tina this is uh mikey calling from rock 105 how are you this morning i'm good how are you i'm good it's nice to talk to you hey uh you're probably wondering why we're calling do you know the phrase that pays we uh we are we are not calling to give you a prize but but it is something really really cool We haven't done this for a long time on the show, but we do something on the show called Secret Crush.
The idea is that we have some people write us and tell us who they have a secret crush on, and then we call that person, and we let the person that wrote in talk to them and tell them all about what they think about them. And somebody has a secret crush on you, Tina. Okay. Do you have any idea who it is, or do you... Yeah, I do. Really? You do. I do. Okay, I'm going to ask you for a name, and I hope it's the same one. I don't know if we should play this game. Oh, my gosh.
I wouldn't do that. I don't know if we should play that game. Tina, who do you think has a secret crush on you? If I had to guess, I would say that it's Jared. You are correct. Oh, my gosh. You are correct. Oh, that was so scary. Oh, that was close. That was scary. Say what, Tina? He's obsessed with you guys' show, so I figured it had to be him. It is him. It is him. And he's actually on the phone right now. Say hi, Jared. Hey, what's up, Tina? How are you?
Jared, I want you to go ahead and take over now, and I want you to tell Tina what's on your mind. Well, you know, Tina, since you came into the office, you know, it's just been really great you know getting to know you a little bit although you know we don't always have the most time to talk but um you know i just think you're great you seem very interesting we like some of the same books and stuff and i just thought it'd be great you know to go out with you but um you know the situation like it is and everything you know i didn't know how you felt about jared forgot everything i said jared forgot every single thing he's nervous maybe he was
He's getting to him. He forgot everything. Let him finish. Go ahead, Jared. I'm sorry. I don't know. I got some advice. Jared's forgotten everything. He forgot every single thing. Tell her how she smells. No, bro. Yeah. It's not with, like, men. Jared, I'm going to help you. I'm going to help you out here, Jared. Oh, my gosh. I just got the dork chills. No, Jared, I'm going to help you out here. Tell Tina why you're attracted to her. It's because she's cool, she's beautiful, and, you know, she's easy to talk to, and she smells good.
That's pretty much what you said, right, Mike? That's pretty much it, yeah. That's really funny because I'm allergic to perfume, so I don't know. Well, Tina, in Jared's defense, Mikey told him to, using examples. Maybe she's got good like B.O. I don't know. I can relate to that. See? If I did it on my own, I don't think she smells good. So I wouldn't have really told you that, Tina. So Mikey told me I said it. Stop. Okay.
Jared, I tell you what. How about in your own words you tell her what you like about her? Tell her in your own words what you like about her. I like that, you know, she's just interesting and well-rounded and, you know, she's interested in other things in the world and stuff like that. And it's easy to talk to. It's always easy to talk to each other. And plus the fact that she is gorgeous, you know. The whole combination is just wonderful. And I think it's worth, you know, looking into and to see if we can have a type of a romantic connection also more than just, you know, the wonderful conversation we have.
Let the romance begin. Let the romance begin. Tina, what do you think about that? I think that's... I have a crush on him, too. I think he's beautiful, and I don't know how happy my dad is our boss. Right. So I think he's going to be a little angry. Oh, angry? Is your dad going to be mad for real? Yeah, probably. Oh, wow. Tina. Oh, that's not Tina's fault. What, why, what, what, uh, explain what's your dad like?
He's the greatest guy in the world, but I'm his, you know, only daughter. And it's just one of those things, like he knows him, but, and he's a little bit older than me and my dad's a little funny, but he likes Jared. So maybe I could talk to him. I don't know. We'll see. I mean, like, it doesn't matter. I'm my own person. Like Jared, what do you, what do you think about that? What, uh, what Tina just said? Um, it's pretty much not anything that I didn't know. So, you know, I think it's something that we have to figure out between ourselves. Jared, are you willing to risk your job for this one opportunity? Yeah, that's why I called you guys.
Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Write a movie. I mean, but how many work opportunities are there in the corrugated box industry in San Diego? That's very true. I was on a corrugated box news group yesterday, And I was reading that, you know, romance has been down over the last quarter. And so it's really inspiring to hear a story like this one. Well, look at you two lovebirds. You'll probably fire me before you since you know you're doing the bail.
Yeah, there you go. Well, Tina and Jared, congratulations to you two. It looks like you guys both like each other. And hang on a minute. We'll probably set you guys up with something or some dinner or something. And we're very happy for the two of you. We're happy for you guys. Yeah, hang on the line. He's done. Yeah, call us back if someone gets fired. Please. You are listening to The Mikey Show. On Rock 105.3.

Still finding some tough rides on some of our freeways this morning, especially this 5 freeway northbound. This all began with a bad accident down near La Jolla Village Drive. They've got it out of the way, but now you've got some leftover stuff to deal with here. Pretty much bumper to bumper out of Old Town, continuing on up to the 52 freeway. And that's keeping the westbound 52 pretty tough as well. So you've still got some traffic on the 52 out of Santee coming up the hill over the summit. But then it really backs up on you underneath the 805 through San Clemente Canyon, getting to that very tough 5 freeway. 8 is good to go, 94 King Freeway, no worries there. 805 northbound, down to the South Bay, you're fine as well until you get just over the 8 freeway.
And that's where the brake lights stay with you off and on, all the way up to Governor Drive and the Golden Triangle. Heading south in the 15, down to Vescondido, that's still a slow ride from Auto Parkway to Vier Rancho. Heavy traffic again from Carmel Mountain Ranch into Poway. North 15 backing up in the right lanes, getting up to that 78 transition. And the westbound 56 still seeing a slow ride here from Camino to Sur for a struggle all the way to the 5. You're listening to Mikey. Rock 105.3. Love don't cost a thing. Who is that?
Jennifer Lopez? J-Lo. J-Lo. Jenny from the block. Welcome back. It's 8.56. John McCain was in town yesterday for a campaign fundraiser that hoped to raise a million dollars. Jaguars and their first round draft pick Derek Harvey finally reach a deal. Oh, wow. All right. Here's some of the text messages and emails that we're getting. Mikey, I don't know why, but I get that Jack Tripper feeling of pure anxiety every time Secret Crush is on the radio. So much pain.
I can't get enough of it, though. Love this bit. That's P1 Corman. Yeah, we do that secret crush every once in a while, and it worked out. That's nuts. I can't wait to see how that works out for those two. Or not. Or not. I told you earlier that I wanted to tell you about the guy in Kentucky that got arrested for making a hog joke. How's that?
Okay, so this guy, he actually ran for governor twice there. Oh, it's Boss Hog. Oh, you didn't say it was Boss Hog. No, it's not Boss Hog. Oh, you should have just told us right here in the very beginning. Somebody made a joke about Boss Hog. Well, that guy runs Hazard County. That's right. You don't want to do that. Just tell us that. No, we're not in Hazard County, and Boss Hog isn't a real person. I know we're not, but I mean. Boss Hog isn't a real person. It was a TV show, Eddie. So what are we talking here? Yeah, sorry to break that to you. Eddie thought it was a documentary. You ever been to the poor's net? Okay, stop showing off. Eddie thought it was the first reality show.
Okay, so in Kentucky, this dude is at the grocery store, and he comes across a woman who has her two nieces with her that are 11 and 13 years old. No. And he said to them, like, he was complimenting the little girls, and then how cute they were, and then he said, quote, Which is weird and inappropriate. it's weird yeah it's weird and inappropriate to start saying strangers to just start saying so cute i do that all the time but a 13 a 13 year old that's uh too much of a teenager for an adult man to be like hey you're very cute okay sure if it's a little girl maybe like a seven-year-old
little girl maybe that's fine i don't know exactly how he said it they don't have that part you know in quotes i don't know i don't want to misrepresent him thank you but anyways So, he said, quote, I offered to trade her a fattening hog for those girls. What? I offered to trade her a fattening hog for those girls. So creepy. Yeah, and now I guess that's a saying that's been like an old school saying, which is supposed to be a compliment. Because, like, a fattening hog is, like, something that's important, you know, for your family and survival and nourishment. So, it's like, you know, like, oh, I give you a bag of gold.
those girls are so cute, type of, you know, that's how he meant it. Creepy. Go wreck it, Mike. That's a bad train. So, of course. I'll take the ham any day. Shush. Ham? So, of course, he said he meant it as a joke. He said it a million times to other people. They always think it's kind of funny and quirky. Well, the family went to the cops and got a warrant for this guy's arrest, claiming that the comment was intended to entice the children into illegal sexual activities.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. So the police went out and arrested this dude. This dude was in jail for three days until they finally decided to dismiss the charges against him. Yeah. Definitely inappropriate, but arrested. They're all weird. Yeah. Everyone is weird. Everyone there is weird. Yeah. Don't look weird. Did you hear that Neil Diamond had to cancel his concerts because of laryngitis? No. What? Well, we have tickets to see Neil Diamond in October, I think. Really?
Yeah. In October? Yeah. Oh, dude. You didn't know he was going to be here, Rob? Uh-uh. You like him, right? Oh, I love him. He's awesome. Yeah, hopefully he'll be better by then. So far, he canceled tonight's concert in Wisconsin, and then the one Friday is St. Louis. I guess laryngitis, and those two concerts have been rescheduled for early September, or else those people can get a refund, but Neil Diamond, laryngitis. I'm speaking at about four or five different high schools. It's not laryngitis.
I'm doing something for the community. Oh. What do you mean, Neil? Laryngitis, they said. I can tell you, but I think it's better if I just put it in song. What do you say? Sure. I should be resting your voice. Nothing wrong with my voice. Okay, well, you do sound normal. Well, well. Here's some water. Let me drink some of that. Is that better?
Well. That's your cue. I'm going to sing a song for all the youth. Youth of America. All right. This is a song I wrote for all of them. Listen. All you speakeasy PCP popping crackheads. What? Neil? What? Hang on a second. My guitar's out of tune. Get this stupid thing. It's obvious you're not. Stop the music. It's obvious you're not feeling well, Neil. Maybe you shouldn't be here speaking to children today if you're not feeling well.
Stop drinking all that Kool-Aid and a bunch of Paris Spears drinking. Start acting your age. Put the peace pipe down, Tonto. What? Who are you talking to? Are you listening to me? I'm here to sing. Okay. All right. I mean, hi. Let's crank this party up a notch. What do you say? Oh, I like this one. Let's do this. Stupid thing's out of tune. Get it out. Oh, no. That was one of my favorites. I got it one. Gordon. You're out of tune, Gordon. Who's Gordon? I thought it was... Gordon? How hard is it to play this tambourine, you stupid drunk? Help me.
What happened to Maury? My drunk Uncle Richard can play tambourine, and he lost both his arms in the war. That seems hard to do. I don't know that. Let's rock this place. Okay, well. What the hell just happened? Come on, Neil. Stay together. Kraglin' crackheads on a bunch of crack. That's not the words. Stupid. I'm not a bad man. Let me tell you a bunch of teens.
I know it's all teens listening to this Rock 106, all right? You're a bunch of draft dodgers. All you want to do all day long is snort your MySpace friends up your nostrils. You want your apple garden jeans, but you don't want to get pregnant, do you? Apple garden? It's apple bottle. Oh, free love with the apple bottoms, right? Free love. Nobody says that. Bunch of blogs. Wait, wait, no. I don't think he knows what that means. I guess not.
Oh, as long as you got your crystal mesh, you're all safe, aren't you? Meth. Aren't you safe if you're wearing it? Living your own little World of Warcraft out there, aren't you? You're so mad to stop that. Yeah, there's a lot of anger. Shroomers, you dopers, you hippies, you communers, you pill poppers. You pill poppies. You bunch of pill poppies, aren't you? Pill poppies. I don't know. I've never heard of it. Any meth breath. Ew. Ew. That's a real thing. Why don't you listen up?
I'm talking to you, Rob. Anybody got some gum? Bunch of alpaca farmers. Go ahead. Oh, let's sing a song with Neo. What do you say? Please. Here we go. Oh, yeah. Everybody sing along. Let's do this. Come on. This one goes like this. From the old needle diamond, I like to say, in my own special way, puff, puff, puff, puff, give, let's do this. The magic dragon, you little creep.
Who's a creep? Yeah, you're all creeps. Get this guitar out of my face. Listen to me, you camel sheep. Listen for a second, will you? Why don't you all go get wasted on ilovealpacas.com? How do you get wasted on the website? You and your Pop Rocks and your Mary Jane and your TFN chemicals, you're all getting high. I don't even know what that is. Bunch of stingy hookers listening to me right now. Stingy?
Stingy hookers? You're always dropping aphids. It's so funny. Aphids? Aphids? Oh, this is my favorite. Those are little bugs on me. Can you be quiet today? Okay. Let him do his thing. Let's just play some music. What do you say? Why don't we play some music? Yeah, let's do it. Let's play some music for the fat teenagers. Mommy! Reprovescent manatees. You're all eating too much McDonald's. Using syringes filled with meth paste. Get out of here.
Get out of my place. Get this guitar. I don't want to play. I'm not playing. Will he ever finish his call? I'm not going to play guitar. Well, he's not even seeing the words. I know. Neil, please. One more time. Get it from the top. Let's take it from the top. You changed your mind a lot. Let's do it for all these kids that are skinny. Okay. Why do you hate? Because if it's one thing, it's the other. They're either skinny or the thin. One way or the other. Make up your mind. They're either skinny or they're thin. Right. Oh, somebody wants to argue about it. Not me.
Not me. You want to argue about it because you're so rich with your Levi's? Is that right? Is that what it is? I don't even wear pants. No. You're not wearing pants because of the free love, right, hippie face? No, no, it's not like that. Is that it, hippie face? It's 2008, bro. All right. All right, Roach Clip, let's do this. I got something for you non-deodorant wearing, a bunch of stinky, hippie people. That's me. The song goes like this. Okay. Yeah.
Fine. We've been burning shrooms. Oh, what? We've been living in rooms. Okay. With no pants on. Oh, that doesn't work. I'm not in the mood. Get it out of here. Maury, come over here. Sorry, it's not Maury's fault. I'm out of here. No worries. Wow, Neil Diamond just left the room. What's that? He's like that? He just walked right out of the room. Anybody in the mood for some petite feet?
Duh. Always. Duh. Neil Diamond just hopped on his little petite feet and ran right out of here. He was really in a mood. He's in a mood today. It's not our fault. Why don't you go drive your electric motor cars? What? Vote for that dynamite kid from good times. Oh, he's a heel. He's very out of time. He's confused, right? He's sick. It's Barack Obama, not Jimmy Walker. Dynamite. Hey, heel. Easily getting confused.
Heel. Who's that guy that talked last night? The blonde guy. It's actually a Hillary Clinton. Whatever. Okay. She was wearing pants. Women wear pants now. You're telling me women wear pants? Why don't you go get on the pill, you bunch of pill-poppin' pillies? Sex, sex, sex, is that it? Tell him at the bar. No one's even talking about sex, man.
My favorite part of the petite feet. Oh, good. And it ends. The Mikey Show is on. I just want to say I love this show. I listen to you guys every single day. Rock 105.3. So now they're saving me $1,800 a year. Dude, that is awesome. Yeah.
You are saving up to $1,800 a year? Yeah. They cut it in half. That's amazing. Yeah. And I drive a sports car, and I'm 21 years old, so I was excited about that. That is awesome. Hey, dude, thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Yeah, no problem. Thank you. What I tell you about AIS is the solid gold truth, and I mean that from my heart. I use AIS myself. My wife uses AIS. At 35253 Mikey Is Jared's real name Dimitri? That's a legitimate question. Yeah, he wasn't that smooth. Let the romance begin. Mikey, will B-Rob and Eddie be wearing the wrestling uniform? That's P1 Gilas. And no, they won't. They'll be wearing onesies. First of all, let the romance begin. Very offensive. Sky, they are called onesies, aren't they? They're not called onesies. I thought they were onesies. They're called singlets. Oh.
Yes. Is there a difference? A big difference, actually. One is made by Oshkosh and the other one is made by Nike Gerber. Okay. You know what? Asked and answered, guys. Yep. Asked and answered. Covered. Hey, guys. When Eddie picked up Boston Rob, I imagined Rob wearing a wedding dress being carried through the threshold. That's P1 Nasty Nate. I didn't pick him up like that. No. P1 Nasty Nate. I'll save it for Friday. I don't believe it. I don't believe it.
I'll save it for Friday. Mikey, you guys should do another Biggest Loser competition. That's P1 Nate. Yes. No. Why did Rob make sure to get me that text? That was important for Rob to make sure. And Rob brings this up like every month about how we need, we should do another. Why don't you just go on a diet? We should do it again. Well, he doesn't need to diet. I know, but I mean, if he wants to lose weight. No, don't suggest that. No, he doesn't need to lose weight. I think that's right. I should. He's fine just the way he is. Please. Rob is very dysfunctional. Well, he's a thin person, and he wants to lose more.
He wants to lose weight. For what? For your runway career? Yes, so I can fit into that summer dress. Mikey, Neil Diamond's the funniest bit on the show since Dr. Wayne. That's P1 Biggs. A. Mikey, why is Neil Diamond so angry? He's out of control. That's P1 Wilder Boy. I don't know. I guess it's just, you know. He's old. He's cranky. He's old, and he's out of touch. Yeah, all those years on the road kind of got to him. He's fed up with the younger crowd. That is true. And that's the problem.
He doesn't really get the younger crowd at all. Not at all. In fact, what he remembers about the younger crowd all took place in the late 60s. Yeah, that's a very true. A long time ago. And so he doesn't really realize they've kind of... But he knows just enough, you know? Like he's heard words. Yeah. Maybe he should run for president. You know, just because you've got two hours sleep, lady, don't... Really? She immediately squinted after saying it because she knew. Oh, here comes the dynamite. And boom goes the dynamite.
Thank you. Hi, Chatter. Don't. Mikey Neal Diamond cracked me up so hard today. But when he said, this one's for the fat teenagers, I shot Diet Coke out of my nose. Nice. Okay. I had a plan. I'm not kidding. I had a plan. What was it? I don't know. I wanted to do stuff. Sounds like fun. Yeah.
Well, in my head, it was going to be fun. Have you got new releases? Well, dude, okay, I do have something. That was yesterday. I do have something. Stupid. What? I believe that Diddy is a very smart guy, and I believe that he is very, very... Sean can help me. Sean has been finding the words I can't find in my head lately. Yeah. He's very... Shrewd? Yes, yes, but that's not the word I'm looking for. Calculated, it's like a word like calculated. He's very...
Methodic? Very methodical. All right. He's very methodical. I believe that the following clip of Diddy was put on YouTube. And it's all, every single bit of it is planned and meant to be this way. But I don't know. It could be that he really does feel this way and that, you know, it's just a genuine organic moment, as they say. Cut 14.
Hey, what's up, y'all? It's your boy. Gas prices are too high. As you know, I do own my own jet. But I've been having to fly back and forth to L.A. pursuing my acting career, okay? Now, if I'm flying back and forth like twice in a month, that's like $200,000, $250,000 round trip. I'm back on American Airlines right now, okay? Your boy Diddy, your boy Diddy right now is on American Airlines. Look, gas prices are two.
I want to give a shout out to all my Saudi Arabian brothers and sisters and all my brothers and sisters from all the countries that have oil. So, younger, please send me some oil for my jet. I would truly appreciate it. But right now, I am actually, can you believe this? I'm actually flying commercial. That's how high gas prices are. Okay, so I feel you. Ashley, as a person that is young, what do you make of Diddy's... Look at that face.
Oh, she is just disturbed. She's processing. She looks irritated. She looks so over it. Oh, the squint now. She's got a squint. There is a squint going on right now. Ash, what do you think of Diddy and his YouTube video? Oh, wow. Hearing that, like, literally made me, like, physically nauseous. I think that Diddy is not connecting anymore. Dude, that was so weak. Like, I don't give a rip how rich you are. And, oh, like, poor you. You have to fly commercial. Like, shut up.
And then you sound so ignorant, like, giving a shout-out to, like, you don't even know who and, like, where. And we get it. You're rich. Now, wait a minute. I could give a rip. Yeah. Now, wait a minute. What? Isn't Diddy's thing to be that I am this flashy, rich, superstar guy who has all the big parties and drives all the cars and has a jet. Isn't he kind of doing that on purpose? See, I thought that the whole thing is just a shock and be controversial and get everybody talking. He's always like that.
Like I watch his making the band show. Like I've seen all the seasons and that's how Diddy rolls. it makes me yeah he's trying to make you irritate i think he's trying to make you mad and to me there's a difference by you rapping or even talking about how you live large and your ladies and your cars and your jets there's a difference between that and going oh i have to fly commercial like at that point you're not just bragging you're now bragging but now you're insulting the way the rest of us live right like like it's but isn't he doing it isn't he doing it very calculated knowing that i think he's a smart dude and i think he knows full well that that's gonna infuriate
everybody it's gonna infuriate rich people yeah like rich people would hear that and be mad so what's the point of that this just to get under this this people talking about it's so outrageous that a rich that a very rich man is saying i gotta do what you people have to it's so outrageous and he's smart he's calculating he's not stupid stupid would be total okay let me rephrase let me back up five seconds jump in the delorean get up to 88 miles an hour and go back 20 seconds okay that was fast marty he diddy gets it you've heard me say a million times either get it or you don't
And Diddy gets it. He definitely gets it. He's not the type of person that don't. And in saying that, I think that in order, well, I don't think anybody does that. But if you do, you're really, really, you don't get it. And you're out of it. And I don't think he's either. I think he knows what it'll do. He's always like that, though. No. That's his whole, yeah, Eddie's right. Like, that's his whole rap, you know. Oh, yeah, I mean, on his new show, Mike, I Want to Work for Diddy. Of course.
Sean, you watch I Want to Work for Diddy? Yeah, it's a really good show. What is it on? It's on MTV. Sean watches everything. Yeah, it's really, but anyway, you know. He shouldn't even be allowed to watch it. From G's to G's. Seriously, you've got to watch this. It's got this one character, Popra, on there. Popra? She's so outraged. She's a big, fat woman. She's outrageous.
Wow. It's really great. But anyway, as I was saying, Mike. Yes. Yeah. He does a lot of these sort of interview-style cut-ins during the show. And his whole thing is, I live large, I'm flashy, I do everything big, I've got a lot of money, all throughout the show. And he's 100% right. I think it's calculated. I think it's calculated. I think it's meant to be shocking and outrageous and just like all of him is. You know, that's his image. It's almost shtick.
Yeah, it's like the shtick is decadence. The shtick is like extraordinary and extreme decadence. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, like I wipe with gold bullion, like that kind of thing. No one wipes us. You know what I mean? It's like that kind of deal. Yes, exactly. Where is the silk shaman? Where did it go? Where is all the silk? Opposites. Ramsey, my white manservant. Did you remember to go to Rich People Kmart and get me the? It's a new star.
It's a new star in La Jolla. It's called Rich People, K-Mart. And then they shall... I wonder if it'd be just called Rich Mart. Well, I told you to go to Rich Mart. You told me Rich Mart didn't have any more silk ramen. Oh, no. Did you go to Rich Mart? You gots to have a memberships card. I don't... I put you on the account. They said I'm not out. Oh, no. They said you're not out. I'm not owns it. Ramsey. Huh? My white man's Herman.
Don't use plural anymore, please. What you mean? I mean... I mean... Singular, not... Now, pick up your L.L. Bean catalog and come over here. Pick it up. Put on your loafers. Can I pick something out? Of the L.L. Bean Catalog? Yes.
Yes, you can, Ramsey, but just one item. Yay! You are my white manservant. You're very white. Ramsey? I want the salmon sweaters around my neck. Ramsey? Ramsey? What? Is that a grass stain on your dockers? Oh, no. Ramsey, what's the matter with you? If I've told you once, I've told you 8,000 times. Are you faking being hurt?
No, it hurts. You're screaming really weird. You're screaming in a way that isn't natural. No, I'm not. Yes, you did. You went like this. She went, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, that's what she did. When I hit you, you just said, do, re, mi, see, Ramsey, you said, do, re, mi, do, re, mi, fa, so, la, you did that, but you did it like a scream, and you thought I wouldn't recognize it, like I'm some sort of imbecile over here. What did he say?
Ashley, what did Ramsey, what did my white man say with Ramsey? He, like, is singing. I don't know. He's singing. It's weird. If I hit you, better hurt. Okay. R. E. S. P. Okay. E. C. C. Okay. Ramsey. Ramsey just spelled out respect. Ramsey, you just spelled out respect, didn't you? Yes, you did. Like that old song, that old ditty.
What? Yeah, I know what you're doing, Ramsey. Ramsey, pull up your eyes, Odd. No. Pull it. Pull up your eyes. And there you go. Yahoo! You just did the theme song to Yahoo. What do you mean? Oh, really? When you're in pain, you shout out the Yahoo theme? Okay, that's enough. That's it, Ramsey. That's it. Two of the guest quarters. Oh, he is really on one today. What is Skye doing?
Like, she's completely taking a nap. I don't know. She's completely taking a nap. She slept two hours last night. I didn't see her. For goodness sake. I enjoyed that. Midnight night. Holy crap. Skye, wake up. Skye, too. Skye, too. I'm Skye. She's Skye, too. She's so tired. Wake up. Whoa. Don't whip her. Don't you do it. I'll come in there and kick your butt. She stops. You don't touch my sky too. Sky too.
Wakey, wakey. Eggs and babies. Sky too. Wake up, you little ham lover. I loved seeing Eddie's yesterday email today because he says he went to La Salsa for the first time in like 10 years. Over 10 years. Over 10 years. Oh, that's the best.
Were you boycotting or just... I don't care for their food. No. That's a good reason. healthy Mexican, like why bother? Yeah, it's counterintuitive. My wife loves Lysol. Well, I think chicks do. I think chicks really love Lysol also. I've never been. Oh, you would eat it up. They put black beans in everything. Gross. They're very chick-like friendly. Everything's grilled, nothing's fried. That's fine. To each their own. I'm sure there's a market out there. It's just not me.
What did you get? Well, I was getting my oil did and And I decided that it was right next door to a La Salsa. By the way, anything that we do from now on, if we do it, needs to be did. Yeah, right? I'm just throwing that down right now. Eddie got his oil did. Got my oil did. And I had some time in between. It was right next door to a La Salsa. I was hungry. Sure. And I haven't been there in over 10 years. So I go, well, you know, maybe they change their menu, make it good. And so I walked in and, you know, surveyed the menu, and it's not different.
It's the same. Everything's good for you. Nice. So I was kind of out. But I said, well, you know, they have a quesadilla. I mean, that's not. A quesadilla? There's nothing weird about quesadilla. And you can add carnitas in the quesadilla. I'm like, that sounds delicious. In on that. I'm in. I think I just did that. Rebecca went to La Salsa two weeks ago, and that's what I had her do. Yeah, and so that's what I got. Yeah. But to my surprise, you know, that's all I got. No sides, no drink, nothing. It's over $7.
Oh, yeah. And I went, oh, hey, wow. It's a quesadilla. Like, cheese, come on. Schmance costs money. Schmanciness? Yeah. Schmanciness kind of costs money. And it is. It is. It's pretty schmanced. It was pristine in there. Like, the salsa bar, there wasn't, like, one spill on that salsa bar. I mean, I've been in salsa bars where it looks like O.J. Simpson was in there. It should be the salsa cantina. Seriously. That salsa bar was. But, you know, so I got it.
And it was all right. It wasn't $7 good, but it was all right. So I'm good for another 10 years. You like La Salsa, Sky? I don't know. I think I've been to a La Salsa. Can't eat this pig. Shush. That's boring. You don't know? I think you hit your quota of Sky impersonation for the day. One more? No. Shush. Uh-oh. Shush it. Careful. Hey! Careful. Cranky, okay? This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. Rock 105.3.

Yeah, dude. Why is Corona Light the only light beer that's also a Corona? Corona Light's epic, brah. When the lime carves a sweet ride down the neck, it's sick. Sick is good, right? The only thing better is snaking some way from a kook and dropping in with a killer cut back down the barrel. Dude, it's all light and tasty. Oh, of course. Corona Light's some sweet nectar, bro. Yeah, I'd eat some major femme to get in that soup, you know. Oh, I love foaming my soup. Dude. Sorry, I tried. Tell her to remember what it felt like to give birth, and then tell her to times that by about a bagillion, all right? You don't know that. That's the pain that you go through when your great pouch gets injured.
Now, let me tell you something. How do you know that? How do you know that? That is true. I've done both. I've given birth and I've had the vasectomy. If your wife still doesn't understand, tell her to imagine the hurt that she would feel if she had to get a real job and stop being a baby factory. Who says she doesn't have a job, Dr. Bill? Nobody's ever said that. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. yeah welcome back it's 9 39 hillary clinton took center stage at the democratic national convention last night her hubby bill will speak tonight the lpga is requiring all their players
to speak English or face suspension. That's whack. Really? The whole country should be. That's whack. Mikey, Sky and Ramsey absolutely slay me. I got in trouble at my desk for laughing out loud. I wonder what kind of job that is where you get in trouble for laughing. Yeah. What could that be? Stop having fun. Yeah, knock it off in there. You're fired. Mikey, is it possible that Diddy was just saying I am resolving to take commercial jets until the fuel crisis has passed.
Well, he didn't say that. No, not at all. He seemed like he had noble intentions, but could not articulate it. That's P1 Alfred Beardsley. Oh, Beardsley. Nemesis. Mike, flying a helicopter is way more pimp and cheaper. Maybe he needs a helicopter pilot. That's P1 Ramsey. That now makes sense. Now it makes sense. First it didn't, but now. Hilarious.
Mikey, personally, I believe that Diddy should be the new Miss South Carolina. Mikey, Rubio's cheese quesadillas are almost $5. What the? Ridiculous. How could that be? Can only imagine what adding meat would cost. It's P1 Science, Holmes. Yeah, you know, Rubio's actually put a sign up at their restaurant explaining why their prices have gone up. I guess. It says fuel and stuff.
That explains it. It's affecting everybody. True. Oh, no. Crisis. Crisis. I don't even want to know what that means. This email is about us being at the Olympic Training Center on Friday for the Eddie B. Robb Challenge. It says, hey, are you guys doing the entire show out there? I've been there to watch soccer before, but it's been a while.
Will there be signs or an easy way to find you guys? Thanks, P1HB. Well, yeah, there will definitely be signs and stuff once you get there. Yeah, they always put up block signs and stuff. Yes, you'll see us when you get out there. But, yeah, we're going to be at the Olympic Training Center on Friday, and everybody's invited. We'd love to have everybody come out. The whole show. Mm-hmm. For the entire show. All P1s are invited. Come out and say hi to us. Let's see. From Boston Rob's yesterday email.
I don't know. Went to the gym and thought I torn something in my shoulder while benching. Because it was so much weight. Really? Look at Rob's face. Oh, he did not like that. He did not like that. So offended. How much did you bench? How much did I bench? How much was I benching or how much do I bench? Dude, I was benching like 350 at the time. Absolutely not, Mike. That's ridiculous. What do you bench? How much I can max out at is $215, but I wasn't doing that yesterday. I was just doing high reps.
Can you take that toothpick out of your mouth? We're on the radio. You're a broadcaster. Rob's email goes on to say, last night went to fiance's place and watched Ace of Cakes. Yes. Yes. That's right, Sean. Did you see the new episode last night? On the show, they made a Fenway pack cake for a groom's cake. It was the best episode ever. Awesome. But the guy that was making the cake was a jerk. He was talking smack about the Red Sox and New England fans. And he was saying, oh, I'm probably going to get a bunch of hate mail.
I'm thinking about writing him a letter. He should. This Boston robs something else. Nothing compared to Sean. And Sean's yesterday email, but he is something else. What do we got there? You ready for this? Probably not. Not proud of it. I used profanity with my mother for the first time ever and immediately regretted it and felt ashamed. Like to her or just with her? Just in conversation. And almost felt like our relationship had changed in such a way that it can never go back to what it was.
Not an awesome feeling, and it was a total accident. So, Sean, what happened? You are so effing hot. Eddie, Eddie, of course he didn't say that. That's his mother. That took Sean from laughing hysterically to a dead stop. Sorry about that, Sean. That was a 450 mile per hour train going to zero miles per hour. Why are you saying wow?
You're the one who said it. Why would Eddie say that, Eddie? Is that what you were going to say? I'm sorry, Sean. Me too. But you said it. Show up. So how did it happen? I don't know. I don't want to ruin it for everybody. What happened, dude? We were talking about my grandmother. She was really mean to my mom. And so I said the F word. Really? Yeah. Like real angry. Yeah, I was really mad.
And I said it and I stopped immediately and then tried to go on like it was no big deal or it was not a thing or it didn't, you know. Well, wouldn't you have felt more comfortable if you would have gone, man, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that, but man, that makes me upset. Yeah, I just, I don't think of things that way. Like, I don't, I don't know. I'm just not like that, you know? Yeah. I don't know.
It was just so, it was so weird and I couldn't recover. It was an accident, Sean. I know, I know. But the whole rest of the conversation was, you know, it was really uncomfortable and I didn't know if she was, like, thinking anything or, yeah, not my finest hour. Do you guys use profanity or do your parents use profanity? No, no, no. I've only used the F word one time in front of my mom and it was in anger. What about the B word or the S word? Not very often, no. Ash?
Try not to. You do? That's like, you should hear me and my dad talk. My dad not so much, but I'm like, F this. I like swear more when I talk to my dad than like anybody else because I'm so comfortable with him. Yeah. My mom, I used to when I used to like be younger and I was just so disrespectful. Like I just didn't care. And so I would cuss in front of my mom, my grandma. I didn't care. And they would just take it like they knew how I was. But now I feel, like, guilty, and I don't cuss in front of anybody now that, like, it takes offense to it or that I think is inappropriate.
So pretty much the only person I cuss in front of is my dad. Like, I'll call him up, and I'll just let it all out. I don't care because my dad doesn't care. I used to when I cursed. When I used to curse, yeah, I would curse in front of my, you know, I mean, it was just the way I talked. and uh so you know especially around my dad who just you know it didn't it was no big thing to my dad um and i would do it around my mom too and i think that it was kind of like a thing where she just that was the way i talked she knew that that's the way i talked but uh in general i don't
curse anymore i just i don't curse yeah it's weird with my parents like i don't use the f word But we got to this point, like, a couple years ago where I think we just kind of realized, hey, we're all adults now. And so, they'll curse, I'll curse. I mean, you know, we don't, like, overdo it. But, yeah, you know, if we're just talking about something and we're like, oh, that's total, you know, BS. Or, you know, we'll, like, say the word. But not the F word. For some reason, the F word is a little much. But, yeah. Do they say it? Yeah.
We, like, yeah, it's weird. No, no, no, the F word. Oh, the F word. No. That's off limits to everybody. Yeah. I mean, not, you know, I guess it's just kind of an unspoken thing. Have you ever, Eddie, have you ever heard your parents say real bad words? My mom does not and is actually kind of offended. And like, there's a thing like, you know, we'll be playing poker or something and somebody who doesn't really know my mom will say the F word. And like my cousins and everybody in my family will tell them like, hey, don't use the F word around you know my mom right um with my dad it's really an interesting dynamic like sometimes
when we're golfing or it's like guys yeah he'll drop the f word and it will trip me out because it's like whoa like are you trying to be cool right now like what's up with that easy potty guy really but you would not do that in front of him i don't know i don't do you do other words yeah yeah i mean because i don't even i don't know like you would say bs or whatever yeah yeah yeah huh i mean it's not like i go out of my way to say right yeah it's not like you nick name yourself that you know how i talk i talk just like whatever hey dad it's bs here calling
in and just calling to say hi and say the f word right so i drop an f-bomb and just be on my way dad. Hey, what's up, Seasucker? How you doing? What are you up to these days? Oh, that's crazy. So interesting, people's dynamics with their parents. So are you going to bring it up, Sean, and like do kind of what Mike said, like, hey, I was thinking about it, or are you just kind of going to let it go? Drop it. No. Did you have to use the fog horn to answer
me? Wow, that was really creepy, Sean. It ain't going to happen. All right. Yeah, make it more uncomfortable. Yeah. Maybe she likes it. Dude. Eddie. Enough. That's his mother, bro. Oh, I know. Eddie, don't give me a thumbs up and a wink. That's just weird when you do that. How do you do it? It's weird. Really strange when you do that. I love it. I don't think so. I don't love it. I'm not in your boat. Hop in. No, no, thank you.
Hey, two local convenience store clerks were arrested in a lottery sting. Oh, cool deep. We were just talking about that. Remember, you guys? We were talking about lottery tickets and redeeming your lottery tickets and why I don't just let the dude scan them and tell me how much I won. Oh. Yeah. So, yeah, two guys from the 4JS Mini Mart on El Cajon Boulevard. Yeah, I guess what happened is this one guy went in and, you know, did the little ticket thing and was told his ticket was worth two bucks and he knew because he had like checked the numbers at home or something that it was really worth 10 bucks
and so he kind of started to argue with the guy well i guess somehow i i'm assuming he reported them to the lottery commission and then the lottery guys sent an undercover dude in there with a two thousand dollar winning ticket really so he has the guy scan the two thousand dollar winning ticket the undercover guy and they scan it and they go oh this isn't worth anything and he goes are you sure check it again i thought i thought i won something and then the guy goes oh my gosh i'm so sorry you did you want a lot of money you won two hundred dollars and the guy was like the undercover guy was like oh okay cool so the convenience store clerk pulls
out his own wallet pays the guy 200 bucks what yeah out of his own wallet and then takes the two thousand dollar ticket and tries to redeem it wow wait wait wait so dude so was brazen enough that right in front of like if i were a customer yeah i'd be like wouldn't i wouldn't you be like why are you paying me out of your wallet for sure right yeah yeah crazy so um yeah these two convenience store clerks have been arrested and you know i guess the lottery is going to start doing stings like this, you know, because
that's crazy. Jerks. When we come back, I want to tell you about Denise Richard's reality show. It's been cancelled, and I'll tell you why. Podcasts of the Mikey show at rock1053.com LOL. The nerd heard at work is taking bets.
P1 Kelly's mom. It's that mischievous muffin tops. It was not called that. It's not the trouble with trivels. Oh, yeah. Trouble with trivels. That one. That's the one. It was called the dark seed. No. No? called... What's up, Spock? What's up, Spock? What's up, Spock? You're a jerk. Oh, come on.
What was it called? You're talking about the gamesters of Triskelion, and then, yeah, that's it. But that's not the one they're talking about. Oh, my God. Wow. You suck, dude. What was it? No, come on. They got a bet on it. They just want to know what was the episode that made you cry. And I can't find it. I think it was called Inner Light, but hold on. I think. I think it's, yeah, like he's pretending like he's, oh, you know, I just, I can't remember that much about that show, you know.
Dude, I'm serious. I just don't remember. Hold on. You bust out trouble with trellises and you don't know the name of it. Trouble with Trifold, and you can't tell everybody what the name of the episode was. I made you cry. Please. Uncle Sean, please find me. Oh, no. Bento, not the time. Probably not a good idea. Yeah, dude. Probably. Uncle Sean has all of the different episodes on his iPod. That's true.
What is Quincy up to today? Okay. Bento, I think you're being condescending. I haven't watched that in a while. Let's see. John Mayer or Banachek? It's pronounced Banachek. It's not pronounced that way. Season one or two? Thompson Twins or Columbo? Those are two fine choices. Yes, it's called The Inner Light. Can we move on, please? Duran Duran or season one of Star Trek? Don't call it that, dude. I hate that.
Come on, Uncle Sean. Tell us about star track dude it's not it's not star track it's star trek trek journey track track yeah dude tell us about spock's ears bro there's nothing to tell he's a vulcan what do you want are you wearing an outfit right now that It has Star Trek on it, dude. It's Trek. Your Star Trek suit.
Do you have like the... Do you have like the... Yeah, like a Star Trek suit, dude. When you go running. You're a beast, guy. I'm a beast? Is that like a Tribble? Your Star Trek suit is made by Adidas, bro. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, it took a turn. It took a turn. If mobsters were nerdy, they would wear Star Trek suits. Uncle Sean.
No, no, no. Are you wearing Shants? No, I am not. Half shorts, half pants. No, I am not. You wear them, though, dude. They're convertible. They have zippers. And you can unzip your dockers and turn yourself into the croc hunter. It won't. I only have two pairs of those. No, you don't, dude. Oh, okay. You have a bunch of pairs of them.
No, I only have, well, I have two left. I had a bunch. I only have two left. Did you stain them hunting crocodiles? No, no. Why do I bother? Why do I bother? Why do I bother? I heard that Chekhov used to wear those shants. Yeah, he had shants too, dude. On Star Trek. Shut up, dude. Quit calling it that. My uncle Sean is a tracker. He's a trackie, dude. You're a trackie?
Are you a trackie, bro? And you go to track... You go to track conventions. And you try to make out with other track girls that are dressed up like a Romulan. Are you a trackie, too? I'm so a trackie to you. Beto's on a roll today. That's my nephew, Beto. Oh, please. Beto. Let's see.
Yes, the inner light, Mike. Oh, well, good. Desperate to get that information out. Space Boy burned me a copy of it, but I lost it. Oh, you're a jerk. I know, I know, man. And I want it back so bad because I really want to watch it. Yeah. Season 5, episode 25. It's on disc 7 if you have the set. Okay. That was weird. Creepy. Yeah. You're creepy. Maybe 28-hour, Mike. Yeah, I think that's a great idea, man. That's hysterical. I challenge all of you not to shed a tear.
Challenge accepted. Yes, challenge officially accepted. How much we got on this? You're doomed. You're doomed. Save the notebook, bro. You're doomed to cry. Right, Eddie? That's fantastic. How dare you? I'm just saying, it's not. Jack Osborne's making a documentary about his dad. Ozzy Osborne. Yeah, he says he's trying to paint a realistic picture of who his dad is. He believes the TV show The Osbournes kind of tarnished the public's perception of his dad.
Kind of his dad, he feels, came off kind of a little bumbling, a little senile at times. Well, isn't he bumbling and senile at times? Yeah, come on. But he feels that, okay, that may be true, but that's not the full picture. You know, he thinks his dad is a genius. He's an artist, and he feels people really didn't get to see that side of his father. This is Ozzy, cut 28. When we were doing that show, all I was was being myself, you know. And people would come to me and say, the weirdest things, like, you remind me so much of my old man Al.
I go, I feel like saying, how much dope did he smoke today, you know? Man, Ozzy has done so many drugs and so many things, and he's still alive. I don't know how he does it. You can't even tell, huh? Right? I mean, for sure you could tell, right? Slash says he wrote this book. You know, he's got that book out. And he was trying to explain a little bit why he wrote it, cut 29. At some point, I decided maybe I should sort of set the record straight, at least on my end.
Always on the phone. I'm sick of answering questions about it. I'm sick of being misquoted and this and that and the other. And that's sort of what fueled the fire behind the book. Just put it out there. Tell me in person, bro. He walks around with a phone. That's true. Don't talk to anyone face-to-face. He came into the studio one time when I did the night show. And I think Shauna was the program director at the time. And they said, she said, just be really careful because he cusses. She said, if he cusses, hit the button and really, really stress to him, he can't do that anymore.
And I did and he still did it. Not purposefully, by the way. It's the way he talked. He just kind of couldn't help it. P1 White Mike is on the line. How you doing? Good afternoon today, Mike. What's going on? Well, just a little bit upset I heard one of your promos. You know, I'm a big fan of the show, and it's just a little offensive. I was wondering if you'd like pull it in. Which one is it? I believe there's the one where the guy, he gets really, really scared of little people. Yeah. And, you know, it's kind of offensive.
Me and my friends are talking about it, you know? It's just like, why would a grown dad scream at a little person? Is that Ashley laughing? This is A.O. Of course, this is me. It's a little person, you guys. No, I don't. No, Mike. You guys. This is our friend Ayo. It is not. Put on a white voice. Pardon me. I'm really being sincere right here. You know, it's really serious. Ashley. Stop. Let him talk. All right. I'm sorry. I'm serious. It's just a little offensive, but I was wondering if you'd mind pulling it.
What does it say? P1. White Mike. The guy gets scared of a doll who's not even played by a human being. He's really played by, like, mechanics. Like, people are engineering and holding everything. So I don't know why he's scared of a doll. He calls it a little person, but it's a doll. As a matter of fact, he uses the term vintage. That's terrible, right? And you don't like that, right? Absolutely not. Very offensive.
Well, we will find that. And I can't think of what you're talking about specifically right now off the top of my head. ahead. Well, we do have a gentleman on our show who has a phobia of little people. Who's that? Hey, don't talk about it. Who is that? You know what? This is why Mike. I'm serious. I'm being very serious. You know what? I just want to say, Mike, please, if you could do it, it would be so much to be in my little community. Zed, do you have a... Yeah. You have something about little people? Yeah. Yeah, they freak me out. Yeah? Yeah. Now that's rude. That is rude.
I'm sorry. It's just, it is what it is. I wish I could change it, but I can't. No, I try to go to the gym. You know, friends call me a buff midget. And, you know, it's very rude. They call you a what? They call me a buff midget. A buff? Buff? Buff midget? Yeah, we learned our lesson about using the M word all willy-nilly. We didn't know. We didn't know. Next time one of you big people call me a buff midget, I'll be dead. I'll kick you in your ankle and run. Okay. Wow, this is weird. Seems like you're making a joke about yourself
almost. Is this really a little person named P1 White? What have you done? Way to go, Zach. There it is. Great. Sorry. Great. Mikey Show. Yeah, uh, I called before. I'm kind of desperate. I'm in a band up in North County, and I need a bass player. And I didn't get through before. How about Air Base? What about Air Base? Eddie plays Air Base. He's like the best air bassist I've ever seen, dude. He's playing right now.
He's auditioning right now. Why don't you come check Eddie out before you say no? He's pretty good. We've tried it all. You know, Craigslist, the paper, everything. I'm basically calling on the P1 Army to help us out here. Yeah, dude. I mean, if you've tried and you haven't been able to find a bass player. So what do you want people to do? Is there a website or, like, what do you want? No, well, I mean, I don't know. I can leave an e-mail or anything. We don't have a website or anything yet. MySpace. There's no real – all we have is a guitar, drummer, singer.
And we've gone through, I think, one, two, three different bass players that answered the call for the gig, but, you know, they were old or they just didn't fit the mold. Oh, so you're an ageist. Way to go. Someone who can really fit the mold. Who can really jam. Yeah. Can the person have a mullet? I would prefer it. I would. Well, you know, we are doing like a retro rock theme. So mullets are good. So mullet might actually be able to pull it off. Nice.
What if they wear Wranglers? Hey, whatever floats your boat, my friend. What if they have petite feet? Hey. You ever think of that, you turkey? You turkey. Maybe he should go to P1 site That's exactly what I was thinking But I didn't know if I wanted to blow up Go to P1 site.com bro And post posting Yeah they can help you there Blog the space around it Yeah go up there and buffer out the internet Get your technologies on You know what I mean
Yeah well like I said We've done the Craigslist and all that stuff P1 site S-I-T-E Yeah. S-I-T-E. P1site.com. Cause I don't, you know, I mean, uh, I think you're a wonderful person. I think you're a wonderful person, but I don't want to become a broker for you. And I think you can understand that. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't want to become a brokerage where we're taking calls right now, looking for bass players and trying to connect, you know, but I can steer you in the right direction.
By all means, p1site.com. Check it out. Excellent. I will do. Thanks, Mike. All right, brother. What's up, Mike? I'm looking for a harpist. You are? For what? From a band. You have a band that has a harpist? Yeah. Well, they need one, Mike. We need one. Pay attention. What's your name, bro? Michael. Michael, what is the name of the band? Do you have a band name or are you guys trying to form it? It's called Angel's Wings. Angel's Wings. And you're looking for a harpist solo. Angels play harps.
I kind of get the connection. Yeah, that's cool. Exactly. The harp seems critical. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It seems like it's probably... All of our jams have harp in it. A harp solo. I actually heard that you guys are all harp. There's actually not any other instrument in the band. It's something different. Yeah, it's just different. I think there's a market out there for an all harp band. I think it would be really cool is after a couple of years, You guys do an acoustic album. No. So just be acoustic harp. Wow. What's up with you, man? You play harp? Actually, I've been studying up on harp. Oh, well, then maybe we'll have a spot for you.
Yeah, I'm actually not bad. In Angel's Wings. I'm actually not bad. I'll have to check you guys out. Angelswings.net. Yeah. It's actually a org. Hey, P1AO is on the line. Oh, there he is.
