Barack Obama's historic nomination opened the show before Mikey, Eddie, and orthopedic surgeon P1 Doc spent a long stretch arguing that Sean Merriman's decision to play with torn knee ligaments was reckless, while the doctor stressed that surgery offered no guaranteed return. Skye reported Suge Knight's arrest and a Tokyo apartment packed with 51 deadly snakes, while the crew mocked Solange Knowles for confronting a TV host over remarks she mistakenly thought had aired. Ashley's tone-deaf karaoke became a recurring comedy bit, and Skye's account of a prescription-related sunburn treated with urine supplied the gross-out story. The sharpest argument centered on P1 Pete's treadmill: Mikey and Eddie called its resale a betrayal of the gift's intent, while Skye defended the recipient's right to sell it; later, Mikey described how an Aaron Lewis song reflected his life before treatment, and Sean capped the childhood-disaster stories with an indoor bonfire that melted the carpet.
What happened, in order
Obama Makes History
The hosts marked Barack Obama becoming the first African American nominated for president by a major U.S. political party.
Merriman's Knee Gamble
Orthopedic surgeon P1 Doc explained why Sean Merriman's combined PCL and LCL tears made playing dangerous and recovery from surgery uncertain.
Gladys Turns 107
The crew celebrated 107-year-old Gladys, who arrived in Escondido in 1914, graduated in the town's first high-school class, and reportedly aced a driving test at 100.
Suge Knight Arrested
Skye recounted allegations that Suge Knight assaulted his girlfriend in Las Vegas before police found ecstasy and hydrocodone and arrested him on multiple charges.
Tone-Deaf Karaoke
Callers tried to identify Green Day, Radiohead, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Modern English songs from Ashley's spectacularly off-key renditions.
The Urine Sunburn Remedy
A listener's medication warning revived the story of Skye's severe sunburn and her mother's claim that an on-call nurse advised treating it with urine.
Fifty-One Deadly Snakes
Skye described a Tokyo man hospitalized after a bite led responders to discover 51 cobras and mambas packed into his apartment.
The Craigslist Treadmill
P1 Pete discovered that a friend was selling his gifted treadmill, prompting Mikey and Eddie to call the resale deceptive while Skye argued that ownership transferred with the gift.
Solange's Premature Complaint
Solange Knowles scolded a Las Vegas TV host over a producer's off-air Jay-Z question because she mistakenly believed the remark had already been broadcast.
A Song Before Recovery
Mikey said Aaron Lewis's despair once mirrored his own life before treatment and helped draw him toward Christianity, even as Boston Rob argued the singer now sounded relentlessly miserable.
Sean's Indoor Bonfire
Sean built a miniature bonfire for his Adventure People on a brick indoors, melted the carpet beneath it, and tried to conceal the damage with a Mickey Mouse stool.

announces a candidate as the nominee for a political party. Have you guys heard Hillary do that? No. Sky, have you heard that? Was it when she was speaking last night in the beginning of the DNC? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's, uh, rattles the bones a little bit. Cut one. ...of Illinois be selected by this convention by acclamation as the nominee of the Democratic Party. There it is. That's right. A little bit later, we're going to hear from President Bill Clinton. Now they saved the big guns for late. Oh, those Padres. They are going to be the death of this show by sending gifts. Is that where he got those? Yes, it is. Eddie is wearing gold Elvis glasses. Sunglasses. Is this out of the ordinary? A gift from the San Diego Padres to Eddie.
It rattles the bones. It really, really does. Thank you. Kind of like my gold aviators, Eddie. But gaudier. You know what I mean? Well, welcome to the show. It is 6.07. History was made last night when Barack Obama was the first African American to be nominated to a major U.S. political party. Four doctors could not stop Sean Merriman. He decides he's not going to listen to him, start the season, play until he can't play anymore. Lights explains why. If I wasn't able to go out there and play at a high level and continue to do the things I can do, I wouldn't make the decision to play. So for me, it's about going out there, knowing what I'm capable of doing, and going out there and getting things done. I will tell Lights myself.
You know, when we have him on the show. Hopefully Monday, right? Do you think, Eddie? I'm actually going to try and get him on today. Really? Yeah. I will tell him myself. Lights, I think that this is a very, very bad decision. In fact, I'd like to talk to him privately. I would. I'd like to talk to him privately. Give him a little sit down. I do. I really want to talk to him privately. I think that he needs somebody to come alongside of him. He's a young guy. He's 24 years old. And I think that that is a bad decision. That's a bad decision. If he's really hurt and he really has two ligaments in that knee that are jacked up, this is a poor decision. This is not seeing the forest through the trees. But do you think there's something you could say to him that a doctor hasn't already said? Yes, because I'm not going to be talking to him about doctors. Okay, I get you. Yeah, I talk to him about his plan in life. You got a plan in life, bro.
But when you're young, it's like there's no tomorrow. You've got to live for today. Who cares about tomorrow? But there is a tomorrow. It's so weird. When I started my computer this morning, literally, I started it. And I have this Bible program on my computer. And it doesn't start up. I have to start it. But it opened up by itself. It was so weird. And I was like, that's weird. And it opened up. on proverbs which is like my favorite thing because it's like little fortune cookies you know that's what proverbs are like they're like little fortune cookies you open it up and it's like brush your teeth you know eat your vegetables that's what it is and i was like whoa that's weird let me read it so i started reading it and one of the things that it said as a little fortune cookie was young men have their strength older men have experience and That reminds me exactly of what Sky just said. He's so young right now. He's just a bull. He's like bulletproof. When I was 23, 24 years old, man, I thought that I could do anything and it would be all right. When I was 27, there wasn't enough cocaine I could get into my nose or alcohol and think I would not be okay. I just thought, well, I'll be fine.
I'm 27 years old. It wasn't even a thought. Like, I never even thought to myself, will I be okay? It was like a foregone conclusion that I'd be okay because I was young. What could possibly happen when you're young? But I'm telling you, man, four doctors have said no dues, no dewey. But he's going, hey, I want to play. I think it's a macho thing. I think there's a part of it that goes, well, if I say, okay, I'm going to shut it down and get surgery, all the guys in the league are going to be like, oh, what a wuss. Can't play through it. Don't. Block it out. Do whatever you have to do. Turn up the stereo. Block it out. Listen to music loud when you start thinking about it. Do anything you can, but don't play. You're going to hurt yourself. Get all jacked up.
Well, I can't imagine anybody saying that he'd be a wimp for getting knee surgery for two torn ligaments. I don't think they would. Let me explain that thought more. Well, here's what it is. Nobody would say anything. I think that nobody would think of him as a wimp. Let me rephrase. I think that football players just have this overall feeling of, hey, man, we play through anything. We could play. We can do it. I think it's partly that. I think it's partly he doesn't want to let his team down. What, Ash? Is he going to take those off? Make him take them off? I kind of like it. We're trying to be serious right now. Can I just finish my thought? I kind of feel like it's a little bit more serious with the levity of those glasses. I really want to know what Eddie has to say. This is a serious topic, and Eddie is very knowledgeable. He's wearing these gold sunglasses. Ashley, question. Question. What? You are telling me that you don't feel that that makes him more of an authority. It's just hard for me to, like, take him serious. What are you guys, crazy? If he takes those off...
I'm not going to be able to focus, and I'm going to be highly distracted. Well, I think if he wears those, he needs to, like, shake his hips and, you know, do some pelvis thrusts. You're trying to be Elvis now. Don't turn this into a mockery, Sky. He's got a one-track mind. It's always about sex. Always has to go back to sex. You know Elvis? That's what he was known for. Elvis was known for wearing Elvis. Shirt on. Shirt his hips and move his pelvis. I'll rub you down with oil. Yes, I think you should put on Johnson & Johnson. My brain's up here. Maybe you can look up here. Guy's got a brain, okay? No, I was making an Elvis comparison. She's been above the waist, lady, above the waist. Guy, no means no. Thank you. Eddie's body belongs to him. That's right. It may be a wonderland, but it's not yours. That's right. It's his wonderland. Whatever. I just wanted to finish. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I know these ladies were going to be so childish. Right, we're childish. Yeah, that's our bad. But apparently a guy can't switch it up a little bit. I tell you what. Gosh. Anyway, so, Sean, I think a big part of it is he doesn't want to let his teammates down.
You know, we talked about that window of opportunity with this being the year that the Chargers are, you know, one of the heavy favorites to go all the way. I think he doesn't want to let those guys down in the locker room. Those are his friends. I agree. And so he's like, you know what? I think me at 60% is better than what we have, you know, behind me. So I'm going to go out there at 60, 50, 40% and do what I can. Do you think that's true? Do you think Merriman at 60-40% is better than the backup? It's hard to say. I mean, I think he will be for a short amount of time. But, I mean, one shot to that knee, one missed leap, one, you know, Merriman plays crazy. He plays balls out. And so he's not going to not do that. And if he does, he's going to get hurt even worse. If you have a car and the car has a bad... carburetor in it, but that car is a finely tuned race car. And you say, if I put this car on the track against the other cars, I'm still going to do pretty good. Okay. The problem is, is that you're going to blow that carburetor out and then you're going to be on the side of the road. You're not even going to be racing anymore. And in this case, that just so happens to be a part of the body where if you severely jacket, we'll see you later. If he shut it down when got his surgery done,
Now, he would be back in time next season for April, March, those mini camps that they have, fully backed by training camp and be 100% healthy by the start of the season next year. If he plays three, four games and then blows out his knee, does worse damage, could tear ACLs, things like that, because his knee is so unstable right now that he could be out for over a year. And, you know, usually when these football players tear their ACLs or MCLs, it takes them another year to fully get back to where they're used to playing. I imagine that you are a superhero and your superhero name is Cornea. You have magic. You have like some sort of supernatural cornea. Yeah, it's got to be the deal. And it's very much like the guy in X-Men. Cyclops. It's like Cyclops. But better. But better. You have to keep the Elvis glasses on. Well, if I take them off, Mike, my cornea is too cool for the room. That's it. And so. That must be it. You know. And sometimes it's too intense. It's too intense. I don't want everybody to chill out. Yep. I don't appreciate everyone playing into that. And he's got on like blue. Part of the uniform is blue suede shoes. Absolutely.
Okay, whatever. Oh, wow. Thank you. Thank you very much. You took them off. Good. You didn't let that happen? Good. I don't know what else. They were kind of starting to grow on me. If anyone should be respecting, you know, someone trying to defend the sun. That's right. It should be Sky. Thank you. Wow. If anybody in this room has been affected negatively by ultraviolet. Right. Either that or maybe Eddie's nemesis is someone whose superpower is to bring the room down. And they just go in and they suck all the fun out of it. Yes. For no reason. No reason at all. Her superhero name is Romeo. I don't deserve it. Captain Downer. Yes. Captain Downer. All right. Whatever. And Ashley is like her little, one of her minions. Down her neck. She's Juliet. It's Romeo and Juliet. That's right. They're the worst. They are the worst. I'll tell you what. You are. Yeah, you guys are the worst. It's cool. You are. Sorry I tried to spice up the show a little. What they do is, like, this is a scene with Romeo and Juliet. Everybody's laughing, everything. They walk in the room. Door bursts open. They walk in there. They're like, 9-11. And everybody's like, oh. This guy gives that one a thumbs down.
Space shuttle disaster. Challenger. Gas prices. Nothing. Katrina. Home foreclosures. Oh, too soon. Too soon. Seriously. To introduce everybody, I'm Mikey. I'm the host of this show. I am 38 years of age. And let's see. What can I tell you about me? Nothing. So, all right. Don't like tomatoes. Like growing them. Don't really like them, though. Delicious. So good. I'm trying to talk myself into it. I'm trying to talk myself into it. I want to like them. Did you ever do that caprese? That caprese. Caprese. Yeah. Bruschetta. Yeah.
See, that's the thing. I like them in some forms. I like bruschetta. But it's just tough for me to cut a wedge of a tomato and put salt on it and really enjoy it. Can't go there. It's tough. I know. I know. It's the jelliness, right, Skye? Yeah, the texture is all messed up. Eddie, how do you deal with that? You're good with that? Not at all? Until you said that, I'm like, really? It has a texture? It's got that gooey stuff in the middle that makes it seem like it's in the larval state of something. The brains of it. That's the best part. It's like the inside of an egg. Oh, thank you. Eddie is our sports guy and our producer, and the glasses are back on. Just like that. Just for my intro. I knew it was coming. Sky's our news girl. She's rocking the black headband. I wish she would do it all the time. My wife wore one yesterday. Oh, were you so happy? Oh, it looked great. It looked great. It looks gorgeous. You should start wearing them. You love them so much. I know. I should try one on. I mean, you're bald, but... You never know. Go for it. You never know. Could work out. Keep your forehead warm. Yeah. Shawnee, oh boy, is our sound effects man. What? Don't do that. He's 38. Shawnee is 38 years old, and he lives in San Jose, works in San Francisco.
We see him on our computer screen. Yeah. Little camera. And it's actually really cool. You know, you get to see what he's up to and communicate with him with hand signals and whatnot. Right. Neck up, I guess. That's right. From the neck up. That's all you need with Sean. Who knows what's going on down here. Oh, my. Sean. Just saying. Oh, my. Wish you wouldn't. Party up here. Thank you. Sean, everybody. That's Sean. All right. So with that being said, Ashley is our assistant producer. A little known fact about Sean, he loves it when we pull the curtain back. Did you know that? It's the truth. When it's compelling. Loves it when I talk about things in a non-professional broadcast way. No. That's cool. You should do it more than. That's not true, though. Yeah, I thought it was the opposite of that, Mike. It is the opposite of that. Oh, that's why I thought that. Shawnee's a little bit old school when it comes to broadcast. I wouldn't say that. For instance, say I were to say something right now like, what's wrong with that IFB over there? Have we looked at that IFB? Somebody should look at the IFB. Okay.
I don't know if it's... I don't know if it isn't... I don't know if it's... That it isn't working, but it's got this black thing on it. Yeah, that's weird. What button exactly? It's IFB2. Nobody cares! Did we call Ron Fu? Ron Fu to the rescue! Nobody knows who that is! Does anyone have Ron's number, though? I got it. Oh, Ash has it. Let's see if Mike's here. Oh, okay. Maybe Mike's here. You ever notice Ron wears a black t-shirt and jeans every day? Nobody cares. Uniform. I was thinking about his closet. He likes it. It's like Homer Simpson. It's like Inspector Gadget. It looks great on it. I like it. Exactly. It looks really good. I'm picking up what you're putting down, Eddie. I'm not even close. No, it really wasn't. Did you guys notice that... They kind of expanded the engineering department. It's kind of bigger back there. I didn't know. Seriously? Seriously? Seriously? You guys, I have not met the new guy, but somebody was talking about him yesterday. Yeah, I heard there was a new guy. It's like white noise. It's worse than white noise. It's like he was on a chalkboard. Jeff. Oh, Jeff. Did he come here from Jeff Pilot or from CBS? No. Come on, man. Can we call him Jeffrey? This is ridiculous. Or is it just Jeff? Stop. I think either one's good.
Good conversation with him. Oh, about what? You know, just about stuff. About his favorite sports team. I've probably seen him and haven't even recognized him. What's he look like? He's kind of shorter. Maybe, you know, 5'6", 5'7", Hispanic guy. Oh, I saw that guy. I know who you're talking about. Kind of crazy hair. Oh, yeah, yeah. That's Sean's favorite thing we do. Ashley is our assistant producer. It's also the P1's favorite. She is 25 years of age. And she is getting, her hair is getting kind of long. It's getting kind of long. Been growing it out now for literally three years. And I saw some pictures of you, Ash, the other day. Did you? From four years ago. Oh, boy. You guys, you got to just go back and take a look at pictures from four years ago. Yeah. What was it of? You looked so baby-faced. Yeah.
You looked so baby faced, you know, you look so, you look like a kid, you know, you look like an adult. Now you look like an adult woman, but you look like a kid, you know, like I easily could have said that's a senior in high school. She have her crazy hair. Yes. The street crazy hair with blonde hair with like red and black streaks in it. Yeah. It was platinum blonde on top and then like dark, almost black on the bottom. And then I had that strip. Yeah. Like. that like strip of like black. But you would do multicolors. Green one day. And then I had my flavor of the month that was on the side, which would be green or purple or pink or red. That was just on one side. Yeah, she's outgrown that face. Thought it looked good. Austin Rob is 25. He's gone through some hair phases as well. In the middle of one as we speak. This is my six-year-old look. Like a six-year-old. I hate it. You can't comb it. You can't do nothing to it. It's about an inch long. Yeah. Oh, it's the worst. It's not the worst, actually. Yeah, that's true. It's not the worst. We've seen the worst. We've been there. Yeah. We've lived in it. We're close. Yeah. We made it through. Yeah. Rob, for seven and a half years, tried to grow dreadlocks. Oh, that was so stupid. Never worked. It just didn't take. It was not stupid, Sean. It just wouldn't take. It was kind of dumb. Wouldn't take. He tried, though.
They were awesome. I think I still have one at home. Ew. Bring it in. That is disgusting. Ew. Finally, there is Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Jr., Esquire, MD, DDS, Inc. Rosie. Nice. And he's our phone screener. Wow. 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. So give us a call. You can call us right now. Talk about whatever. Hopefully you're going to be... joining us at the Hall of Fame broadcast. I'm thinking about it every day now. Are you? All the time. Really? Yeah. Because we're going to be out at Harrah's, pretty much camping out at Harrah's for a couple of days. And it's going to be really fun. So, go to MikeyShow.com, type in the keyword fame, and buy one of these packages. Two packages. One of the packages is $149.99. And that one gets you in our poker tournament Thursday night, a night stay at Harrah's, and then a full breakfast the next morning. Hot breakfast. Good stuff. The second package costs $2.99. And that package gives you a ticket in the poker tournament, a night stay at Harrah's, breakfast the next morning, VIP for Boston Rob's bachelor party that night, and then another night stay. Wow. Wow.
Awesome. It's really incredible. So, yeah, go to MikeyShow.com. Get in on this because we want to hang with you. Mikey, this is a text message. Mikey, I think it's time to finally register the trademark for Zeth's nameplate. It's P1 Paradise. Yeah, maybe we should get him incorporated, you know? Officially. Officially. Mikey Cheddar has left the building. Tell Eddie to stay with the Elvis. Thank you very much. That's P1 Merlin. Mikey, the larval stage. Wow, dude. Thanks for ruining tomatoes. Which, up until now, I thought were some of the tastiest foods ever. It's P1 Rolling. Ouch. Let me make it worse for you, P1 Rolling. The inside of a tomato is like the inside of an egg. I love eggs. With seeds. You love raw eggs? Eh, I'm like Rocky. Let's see.
P1 John, what's a P1? Turns down the radio, turns off the radio, doesn't cuss, gets straight to the point, doesn't say their name, listens strictly to the Mikey Show, tells their friends and family about the Mikey Show. Wow. Well said. Don't turn off the radio. You can turn it down. Don't turn it off. I turn it off. Turn it off, man. Just get that volume down. You are a good P1, brother. So what's up? I was calling to see if you guys, what are your feelings on the Ken Shamrock, Kimbo Slice fight coming up? Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice are going to fight? They announced a couple days ago that Kimbo's next opponent is going to be Ken Shamrock. Whoa. Oh, my gosh. God rest his soul. Right? Isn't he like a senior citizen now? He's definitely up there. Ken's getting older. And he has had an incredible run. And certainly nothing wrong with calling it a day and saying, hey, that was really great. But what you don't want is you don't want to be remembered by a Kimbo slice fight. No. And even if you win the Kimbo slice fight, are you going to go down as beating a guy that a lot of people have said still lacks the fine?
tuning of a well-built UFC machine. The really hard part is in Ken's last fight, he fought a scrub and got knocked out. I'm like, really? Now you're going to go in there against Kimbo? He's trying to redeem the reputation. Kimbo is going to outweigh him by probably 40 pounds. It's just not a good matchup for him. I don't know what he's thinking. What do you think, P1 John? Yeah, I think Kimball's going to tear him up, personally. But I think it'll be pretty fun to watch. I don't know. You think, you know how Ken gets, you know, sometimes he cries about the stuff, you know, afterwards. Like, there was a couple of the Tito fights. He's all, oh, it wasn't fair. And a lot of other earlier fights, you know, he'd get knocked out and be backing away. And then the ref would stop it. And he's like, well, why'd you stop it, you know? I don't know if you guys have seen him. Because your eyes were in the back of your head. Yeah, exactly.
It's too bad, man, because 1995, Ken Shamrock was a monster. The world's most dangerous man, Mike. So... How many years ago was that, though? That was many, many years ago. Yeah, I graduated from high school in 95, so... Yeah. Many moons ago. P1 Doc. Yes. What's going on? Hey, good morning. I just wanted to update Eddie. Eddie P1 Doc is an orthopedic surgeon. And what can you tell us, Doc? Well, I think some of the things that aren't making the paper about Merriman, that probably only a few guys like the doctors he's seeing behind the scenes are really telling him. He has... a very rare and a very devastating combination of ligament injuries. It's not at all like carrying the ACL, unfortunately, both in the fact that it's much more disabling, and secondly, the surgery for it is very unsuccessful. And I think that has to be weighing heavily on his mind, because if Merriman can't play with the way it is now, there's absolutely no assurance whatsoever that surgery will be successful and he'll be back next year. Oh, wow.
But won't that be a better chance for him to have a full recovery than to go out there and play on it and risk further injury? He's probably about as bad as he can get. I mean, there's no way that I could know precisely. Well, if he has a torn PCL, doesn't that keep the shin bone from sliding too far backwards for, in other words, hyperextending his knee? No, actually, hyperextension is really a... is really stopped by the ACL. The PCL actually stabilizes the knee when it's flexed, not extended. So we're talking about two ligaments. We're talking about the posterior cruciate ligament and the lateral collateral ligament. That's correct. Well, so if you were his doctor, what would you say to him? And can you say that without seeing him? No, not really. I mean, because the magnitude of his instability makes all the difference in the world. But in the paper, and we all know that that may or may not be correct, his PCL was described as a grade 3 injury. That means that the consequence of his PCL injury is that he has very little stability in his knee. So they're describing a pretty severe injury. What did you call it, a level 3, you said? Grade 3. Grade 1, grade 2, and grade 3. And all it means is how many millimeters backwards the tibia shifts.
when you put a load on it. Best case scenario is grade one? Best case scenario, grade one? Best case scenario is grade one. Worst case scenario is grade two. And he was described as having a grade three. So when you combine that with a lateral collateral ligament injury, you get a very unstable knee and you can't brace it. Okay, I got questions for you. I got questions. Hang on. How long have you been doing this? In the 30 years that you've been doing it, Now let's talk about a different sort of injury, ACL. Let's talk about ACL, anterior crucial ligament. In ACL injuries, are people usually able to come back and play again? Yes. Okay. What about in MCL injuries? Are people usually able to come back and be athletic again? Yes. What about PCL and LCL? Well, if the PCL...
PCL injury is isolated. That is, there's no LCL injury alongside with it. The answer is normally yes. But those people are normally able to play without surgery. Okay. Okay. So, okay, that kind of makes sense. And I was a little distracted when you were given that piece of information. But if I understood what you said, people can play on those injuries. Only one of them, not the combo of the both. Okay, if it's just a PCL or just an LCL, you can play, usually. Not so much the LCL. Yeah, he said if it's just the PCL. No, if it's just the PCL, the kind of instability that that gives to your knee is not the kind of instability that usually disables you for sports. It produces discomfort, but it doesn't usually produce the sensation of your knee giving way on the football field. Oh, gosh. Oh, boy. play, and there's actually plenty of people who did play. There was an offensive lineman for the Chargers about 20 years ago. His name escapes me at the moment. But an LCL injury, let's go on to the LCL injury. An LCL injury on its own? Pretty disabling. Okay, and he's got both? Both. Okay, question. Playing on a torn PCL and LCL, does this put your ACL and MCL at more risk? Or no?
Doesn't have anything to do with each other? No, I wouldn't say that they don't have anything to do with one another. It's a good question. I think technically the answer is yes, but in real life we very rarely see that. Why do you think several specialists have told Sean Merriman not to play? Yeah, I think that's probably what any responsible doctor would do. I mean, he's, you know, you can injure things other than your knee as well when you're... when your body betrays you. And he's going out on the football fields with a very significant disability. And I just don't think any doctor could really recommend that you play. Have you ever seen this before in 30 years? Have you ever seen someone come into you with both a torn PCL and LCL? Yes. And did anybody ever opt out of your suggestion to...
sideline themselves for a while? Did anybody ever do that? In other words, did everybody go back and play with it? No, no, no. I'm sure your suggestion was, you know, rest, have surgery. Okay, have you ever had anybody say, you know, thank you, but I think I'm going to continue to do my thing anyway? No, I never have. Never have had that. I think that's all Sean. Yeah, I do too. In your opinion, we're talking to a listener. This is P1 Doc. He's P1, but he's an orthopedic surgeon. In your opinion, what will happen if you play on that? Let's say I'm the guy, you're talking to me, and I came into your office, and I got a torn PCL and a torn LCL, and you say to me, I think you need surgery, and I say to you,
You know what? I appreciate that, but I think I'm going to play anyway. But I have a question for you, Doc, since I'm going to go out there and play. What do you think is the worst that can happen? What can happen if I do this? I think the most likely scenario, and of course we don't know really, I certainly don't know really how bad an LCL injury he has or how bad a PCL injury he has. But I think the most likely scenario is that when he starts to play, It's going to hurt. He's not going to be able to perform up to his normal standards, and he's going to be on the sidelines soon. If he can play with this, if his instability isn't that bad and he can play with it, that's probably as good as he can do. But if he can't play with it, the most likely thing that's going to pour him to the sideline isn't an injury. He's just going to go out there and find that he can't perform. Because of pain? Yes. Okay, see, now if that's the deal, okay, if that's the deal,
I'm pretty confident in my mind they are going to shoot that knee up. That doesn't help. It doesn't help with the pain? I thought that they could basically numb it up. It doesn't help with what happens when your ligaments give way. Really? It helps with other things, like if you have a little arthritis in your knee, which is really common with football players. It doesn't help with ligament pain. You can't give somebody an opiate or something that would stop the pain? No, that's different. You said shoot him up. Okay, and when I said shoot him up, I meant with some sort of, well, I meant two things, actually, in my mind. I meant some sort of agent that would numb it, and I also meant some sort of painkiller, but I don't know that they can give him a painkiller now that I think about it. I don't know if they're allowed to give him a painkiller, but maybe they could only give, and what you're saying is, well, if they gave him one of those deals that makes something numb, it's not going to work. It doesn't. When your knee gives way, it just gives way and you can't function. And people with PCL, LCL injuries, I mean, the normal person cannot function. It'll be wonderful if Sean is superhuman and can function with this, but it's just really unlikely. And the problem is, in terms of his career, and this was addressing what Eddie said, is that if he finds that he can function, the surgery is not very successful.
And so there's no assurance whatsoever. This is not like an ACL. There's no assurance whatsoever that he'll shut it down, get his surgery in September or October, and be back ready to go by the next year. And that's why I think he's playing, in my opinion. I think he's playing because he knows if he can't play, he may never be able to play. This is not a successful surgery. I still keep going back to what Eddie said, though. Isn't some surgery better than no surgery? Better to try than not to try at all. Yeah, I don't disagree with you at all. I don't disagree with you. What's the recovery time on a surgery to repair PCL and LCL? In that respect, it's about the same as an ACL. You know, it's usually a season. Hey, listen, can we put you on hold, get your number, and refer to you when we have questions? Sure. You've been really great. Yeah. Awesome. You've been really, really, really great and really know your stuff. Hang on just a second. Yeah, Seth, get his info. That was really great, man. So interesting. Really interesting. Let's see. Mikey, does Eddie think Merriman's news is sort of a media thing and opponent hype? It's P1 anti-psycho. Not really. I don't know if I understand the question. In other words, are the Chargers trying to take something that's small and make it something big so that their opponents think that Sean Merriman is not a factor? No, I definitely don't think that. I mean, I think.
If it was up to North Turner, A.J. Smith, those guys, they wouldn't want any of this to be happening right now. They don't like distractions. And as far as, you know, it being just a big ploy, I mean, the guy legitimately has two torn knee ligaments. That is not a fake story. So if you have two torn knee ligaments, I mean, that's a legitimate story. And the guy decides he's going to play. I mean, it's crazy. If I were an opponent, I would certainly be running the ball that way to test things out. Absolutely. And they're going to. Wow, are we late. Yep. And we have two listeners in the studio. We have P1 Instigator and P1 Marcus. Love it. Yeah, we had to do it today. They couldn't come in tomorrow because tomorrow we're going to be out at the Olympic Training Center for Eddie and B-Rob's Olympic Challenge. What up? Right back. I saw the Black Eyed Peas here. Do you guys like them? Oh, they are rock.
In case you don't know who they are, it's like one super hot white chick and three cool-looking urban dudes, all right? When I first saw them on MTV, I'm like, is this porn? What is this? They've got that song, Let's Get It Started, which is a cool tune if you're partying. If you're a bald, hungover man microwaving a hot pocket, it's not so cool. You're like, let's get what started? The crying? Should I start crying? Is that what it is? You know who I think is hot? Jessica Simpson. She is super hot. Yeah. The dude in this room is out of fantasy about Jessica. Here's mine. Here's mine. Jessica, hold your sister Ashley so I can kick her in the throat. Yeah. The Mikey Show. That's the ultimate hang zone. All right.

It is 6.57. Rap mogul Suge Knight was arrested in Vegas yesterday for drugs and assault charges. Jody Garrett comes through again, leading the Padres from four down to beat Arizona five to four and get a sweep. An e-poll on NBC asks viewers, will Joe Biden make Barack Obama more electable? I think that's a good question. 38% said yes, 62% said no. In terms of vice presidential candidates, I guess McCain knows who his is going to be. And, Skye, what's he going to say? Well, the word is he's going to announce tomorrow. Now, there is some rumors, and these are just rumors, that he may announce tonight to try and distract the media from Obama's acceptance speech tonight. But most likely he will make the announcement tomorrow.
I don't think that would be in good form, personally. To announce tonight? Yeah. Yeah. I think it would be disrespectful to Barack Obama. Uh-huh. And I think he should wait. Yeah. And as a conservative Republican, I don't want to see him do that. I know that that would be a... What am I looking for here? Sean? Sean, what word am I... Sean, what is he trying to say? Well, just for me personally, it would be kind of a cheap tactic. Yeah, it would be like a chess move and everything. I get it. I understand the thought behind it, but... It's unnecessary. Yeah, it's unnecessary. It's not necessary. Don't need it. You don't need to. Isn't that what politics is about, though? Come on. We start to get dirty. We start to throw in the mud. I want to see this thing all out war. No, McCain's not like that. Yeah, so they say McCain. There's like three guys. There's like three guys who they say McCain, you know, is in the running for the VP. I'll bet you I do not recognize one name. No, you do. You do. We got Mitt Romney.
Oh, good choice. Who's the front runner, actually. Yeah, who I guess is actually in San Diego. He's in La Jolla right now. Great choice. Joe Lieberman. Bad choice. Terrible choice. That's not even a choice. I'm telling you right now, that's not real. I believe that that is a conjured up media thing. I certainly hope so. That's come from the media. And I believe that the reason it has come from the media is because the media is desperately trying to get Barack Obama. But didn't McCain say something about Lieberman? Oh, I think he respects Joe Lieberman. He's worked with Joe Lieberman on legislation. Oh, I think what he said is he wouldn't discount somebody as a choice for VP just because they are pro-choice. And then, do you need a minute to digest? Yeah. Okay, okay, let me know when you're ready. Yeah, hang on a minute. Do I have any of that? Hawaiian music up? Yeah. Ash, we got to keep that up there on just a regular basis to help with my... Yeah, that was on the Mikey show. It's 105.3. You should tune in every once in a while. No, I know, but I don't do the music. I don't know what song or anything like that. Who does the music? Zeth? Yeah, I didn't put that one up either, so I thought she did it. I thought she did too. No? Well, I didn't magically do it.
Well, I'll tell you one thing. I know that this conversation is definitely relaxing me. I'm sure it's helping. What does Ron Fu think about this? That's a good question. Here we go. All right, I got the music that will relax me. And we're going to put it on a permanent space on the button bar. And it will always be the music that I go to. It's on the button bar, Sean. I'm going to put it on pot three. Oh, good, good pot three. Yeah, that's a good idea. Newsweek came in the mail a couple of days ago. And, well, I had two magazines sitting on my kitchen counter. One of them was of this guy that they call America's pastor. His name is Rick Warren. And this picture of him was in the most. harsh lighting I've ever seen. You could see every pore and like crack in his face and every wrinkle and every like gigantic pore. And then underneath that, I picked that up and I looked and there's a picture of Barack Obama with Joe Biden. And it is like a portrait. The lighting is so beautiful and so soft. And it's like, and they're posed in this like very like, and all of the pictures of John McCain, he's like on the toilet or, you know.
Coming out of a grave. Exactly. He's got an outfit. They put, like, the Crypt Keeper font. Oh, nice. Okay, so Joe Lieberman, Mitt Romney, and who else is a potential vice presidential candidate for John McCain? Tim Pawlenty, who is the governor. It's really good. It's a marinara. To get it right, you really have to stir slowly to get it right. He's the governor of Minnesota. Okay. That's Jesse Ventura. Yeah. What are you talking about? No, I don't think he's been governor for a little while now. Wouldn't that be cool? Vice president, the body. You could just call him that. Yeah, I would. So we'll see. Well, it's too bad Mike Huckabee was not even considered for that. I'm kind of surprised. I really am. You're really surprised. I am too. I am too. Yeah, I'm surprised because he was able to rally some support. And I would have thought that.
But the economy, I think, is the big thing for McCain, and I think that's why Mitt Romney most likely is going to be the pick. 100%. 100%. And I agree with that. I think it's a good reason to like Mitt Romney if I'm John McCain. Text message says, Eddie, if Sean Merriman has minimum use of his knee, don't you think the Chargers should save him until we approach the playoffs? Interesting thought. Well, you have to win games to get into the playoffs. Good point. That's how that works? Traditionally. Evite. Evite. Yeah, exactly. I don't know. Unfortunately, it's not. They don't do it by Evite? I wish they would. That'd be cool. You think there'd be any maybes? Well, probably. I don't know any of this. They just said no. They just said no. Unfortunately. By the way, thank you, Extreme Pizza. They already brought pizza by this morning. It's so good in here. Extreme Pizza has two locations. Ash, is this the place that you really like? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yes. Extreme Pizza is located at 834 Klein Street in La Jolla and 3555 Rosecrans in Point Loma. And they have a website, ExtremePizza.com. And it does. It smells delicious. Delicious. They brought us something called the Pandora's Box today. Uh-oh. Baby spinach.
marinated artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese, fresh garlic, fresh basil, oregano, and mozzarella. Oh, yes. They got calzones down there, too, and wings and stuff. Nice. That sounds really good. Let's see. Eddie. Yo. This is text message. Eddie, could this injury have been caused by the cheap shot in the Tennessee game last season? P1 Devil Dog. Remember that he kind of got chopped in the knee after they felt that, and he thought it was a cheap shot? Yeah. I know that he had some knee problems that he took care of in the offseason, and it sounds to me like the knee wasn't fully healed when he went out and started doing training camp and stuff, and this injury occurred during training camp. So I don't think the torn ligaments happened during that game because I think when they went in, to fix the knee problem he had prior, they would have seen, oh, well, you also have two torn knee ligaments, especially with all the x-rays and things he had, MRIs. Mackenzie Phillips from One Day at a Time. She played the older sister, Julie, on One Day at a Time. She got arrested yesterday at LAX. Whoa. What for?
allegedly trying to bring drugs on the plane in her carry-on bag. She allegedly had heroin and cocaine in her carry-on bag, which was caught. They frown on that, by the way, at LAX. They do? Yeah. Yeah, so I guess they found it, you know, during the security portion when she was going to the gate, and she was taken into custody. Did you guys hear about the lady in Escondido that turned... 107 years old yesterday. Oh, wow. Nice. Happy birthday, Skye. Thank you very much. Yes, yes, thank you. Yes. I thought it was in October. I'm 30 years old. I celebrated by soaking. Please. Yeah, she turned 107. She came to Escondido in 1914. She says she drove up Grand Avenue in a milk wagon or something. Come on. Yeah. And she was part of the first graduating class at Escondido High School. Wow. What's her name? Gladdy Holmes? I think we have a... Oh, it's Gladys. Gladys. Yeah, here it said Gladdy. Let's listen to Gladdy or Gladys. Cut 29. If you're her friend, you call her Gladdy. Yeah, Gladdy. Cut 29.
Oh, the airplane. I'm older than the airplane. The airplane was probably about 20 years ago. Oh, the airplane. In fact, I'm older than almost everything. She might be older than the fir tree. I don't know when that was first invented, but she might outdate it. Yeah, she's older than radio. She's older than television. And still with it. Yeah. What a trip. Sounds good for 107. Yeah, she says she doesn't drive anymore. She used to play bass for the Rolling Stones, which I think is really, you know. Actually, she still does. Yeah, she's pretty good. Keeps a good beat. Yeah, she says she doesn't drive anymore, but the last time she took her driving test was when she turned 100, and she said she scored 100 on her driving test. She says, secret to long life. I challenge that. You don't believe that? I challenge it. I want to see proof of that. Why would she lie? I mean, what has she got to lose?
I'll tell you. I'll tell you. I'll be honest with you. I believe to show off. Listen, if you get 100 on your driving test, it's not like that. You don't know her. You don't know her. She's a little flashy. She's very bling. I don't know that that's true. Yeah, she has never smoked, never drank alcohol. And she says the secret to long life is good friends. Can I see some ID, ma'am, please? How? You don't mind. Listen. That's great. That's all I'm saying. I just want to see some ideas. Okay. All right. Congratulations, by the way. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Or text number, 35253. Our phone number, 5701053. Let's play tone-deaf karaoke next. Okay. Now, 5701053. Let's play tone-deaf karaoke next. On July 3rd, 1993, I was riding on the back of a friend's personal watercraft. After we had awake, I bounced off and was run over by a boat. The propeller nearly severed my fingers, arm, and leg. One minute I was riding along, the next I was lying on the shore bleeding. Since then, I've had six surgeries. If only the boater hadn't been drinking that day. Take your game time to a whole new level by visiting Walmart's completely transformed outdoor living center. With Walmart's low prices on all things game time, moms can do anything all season long. We've got a busier ride on our freeways right now, especially this southbound 15 where you've got this little ride here coming out of Escondido. Pretty jammed up from the 78 all the way down.
Into Rancho Bernardo. There was an earlier accident just before Rancho Bernardo Road. They caught up with the commute and made that pretty tough right there. Once you get past that, though, you're doing okay. There is a new accident being reported westbound 78 at the 5 Freeway. So watch for slow traffic around that through Oceanside. Heading south from the 5 down the North Kennedy coastline. That's pretty good, man, from Oceanside all the way down to the border. Nothing's slowing you down there. New East County, it's getting tougher, though, on the westbound 52. That's a slow crawl out of Santee from the 125 to the top of the summit. Westbound 8, good to go all the way to Mission Valley. The 94 King Freeway has just a minor delay in the downtown. And coming up out of the South Bay, the 5 Freeway looking good in the downtown. 805 jamming up, though, from Home Avenue into North Park. And now you've got the slow ride developing out of Kearney Mesa over the 52. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. From the Cricket Wireless Studios. San Diego's Rock. It's another Mikey moment. Did you hear that Neil Diamond had to cancel his concerts because of laryngitis? No! I'm speaking at about... Oh, no. What? I'm speaking at about four or five different high schools. It's not laryngitis. I'm doing something for the community. I'm going to sing a song for all the youth. Youth of America. All right. All you speak easy PCP popping crackheads. What?
Why don't you hang on a second? My guitar's out of tune. Get this stupid deal. If you're not feeling well, maybe you shouldn't be here speaking to children today if you're not feeling well. Start acting your age and put the peace pipe down, Tonto. Okay, man. Beyonce's Little Sisters album has been out for two days and is already pulling diva attitude by picking a fight during a TV interview. After much discussion, Oscar De La Hoya is going to fight Manny Pacquiao on December 6th. Eddie. Eddie. Yes. I need you to explain that to me. Okay.
There were original discussions that they were going to fight. They couldn't come to an agreement on the split of the purse. Okay. And so basically the talks fizzled. Oscar then went on to have discussions to fight Sergio Mora, the contender champion. Right. And I thought that was a done deal. Yeah, I thought that was happening. But apparently not. And Oscar has finally come to a deal to fight Manny Pacquiao, which is the better fight. And it's set for December 6th. Wow. Before we went to break, I said Suge Knight got arrested yesterday. Why, Skye? Okay, so this all went down in Las Vegas, and allegedly Suge and his girlfriend were in the car, and she claims he started punching her in the back of the head while they were driving. How do you do that? How do you do that? Isn't there a headrest behind your head? Well, I'm envisioning it kind of like the side back of the head. He's like, hey, what's that out the window? Wouldn't that make it the side of the head? I don't know. Skye, I'm sorry. Honestly, when I hear they're driving and it was hitting the back of the head. And at the time I was turned so that I was looking out the side window. Yeah. I don't understand that. I don't know. Yeah, they don't explain. But my interpretation, it was probably more like the side back.
Of the head or maybe she was kind of trying to get away from him. All right. That does make sense. Leading towards the door. That would make sense. So anyway, so that's what she claims. And then she claims she tried to get out of the car and that didn't work. And so she then grabbed the steering wheel to cause an accident to try and like get help and ended up crashing the car into the curb. That's when she jumped out, according to her, was running away. He chased after her. Wait, Suge Knight chased after her? Yeah. Isn't Suge Knight a real big guy? Oh, yeah. Yes. I mean, he's big, but it's not like... It's like saying I chased after somebody. It's like, give me a break. No, he's like big like a football player is big. Oh, okay. You know what I mean? He's just kind of tall and burry. He's giant. Okay. He's giant. So he then chases after her, and when the police pull up, they see... I was thinking of somebody totally different. I was thinking of the rerun from that TV show, What's Happening. It's probably because he was running after that. And I was not in my head. I was hearing her. Raj and Dwayne Wayne were in the back. Come on. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And Beyonce or what's her name? Yeah. She was somehow there. Yeah. So when the cops get there and pull up, they see Suge holding a knife and kicking her in the head.
She's down on the ground. He's kicking her in the head. And the cops actually see this. Yes, the cops see this. Oh, boy. So they take him into custody, do a search. And then when they do a search, they find ecstasy and hydrocodone. Is that how you say it? Hydrocodone. That's Vicodin. Yeah. Codone. Codone. Oh, wait a minute. No, no, no. Yeah, it is. Hydrocodone is Vicodin. Okay, so they find that ecstasy and Vicodin on him when they arrest him. So he was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription, battery, and domestic violence. Oh, my. Oh, my. Good luck. That is a lot of stuff. Let's do a little of this. A little tone-deaf karaoke. The way that tone-deaf karaoke works is you call in and I'm going to play you a clip of Ashley singing. Ashley's our assistant producer.
And she's 25 years of age. Very young. Very cute Southern California girl. She was actually on American Idol this last season. She was in the audition process. She never made it to Hollywood. But they did show her on television. You know, auditioning. But she never did make it to Hollywood. It was an off day for her. It was an off day for her. There's always next year. Every day of the week and off. She can try it again next year and it might be better. You know, because some days you're the dog and some days you're the fire hydrant. If at first you don't succeed, try again. That's right. Eddie, have you ever heard her sing Eminem? Well, I have. I don't really care to again. Yeah, let's listen again.
That's great. That's really good. That just got me in the mood. I don't know about you. You got all of us in the mood. All of us in the mood. So what we do is we'll play a clip of Ashley singing and you just have to tell us, hey, what is that song? All I need is the name of the song. That'll work. Or you can tell me who it was. Either one. Got it. Either or. P1 Dan is on the line. Mikey, what's happening, bud? Not too much, dude. How you doing? I'm hanging out, man. What do you do, Dan? I'm a Marine. How old are you? 22. Right on. You ready to do this? Where are you from, dude? Denver 5. I called yesterday. I'm from Seattle, man. I talked about the Ricker thing. Oh, that was you. Yeah. Oh, no. Yeah. Word up. Word up. All right. Let's play tone deaf karaoke. I'm going to play a clip. I'm going to play a clip. Let the entire clip play before you give me a title or artist, okay? Awesome. Here we go. I'm not kidding. She could do a tribute band to them if she wanted to. Really?
Really? Yeah, she sounds just like the record. Can you give me a title or artist? I mean, what Looney Tunes character are you thinking? Dan, can you give me a title or artist to win? Oh, wow. Green Day. Yeah, of course it is. It's like a big dog. It's like a big dog. Yeah. Wow. It's like we Xeroxed it. It's such a trip, Mike, because it sounds so different in my head when I'm singing it. Like, man. Like, when you hear it back, it's different, right? It's a little embarrassing. Like, you hear it. A British Porky Pig. What the heck? That is a fantastic description. And with a British Porky Pig in mind. Sounds very different when she hears it back, she says. Well said. She almost feels like that's embarrassing to hear back. Well, you know, it's like sometimes you think you sound a certain way and then like you hear your voice on the answering machine. You go, I sound like that. I hate it. Yeah. I hate the sound of my voice. I sound like a demon. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. Some people think that. That was like an independent thought. Some people. P1 Dan, hang on a minute. Next up is P1 Crystal. Crystal, how are you? I'm good. How old are you?
At 24. What do you do, Crystal? I work at a paramedical company. At a paramedical company? Yes. What is that? We send out examiners who are, I'm sorry, examiners for people who are taking out life insurance policies. Oh, yeah. I've had those dudes come to my house. Yeah. Yep. That's what I do. They make you lay down. They give you a, what do they call it, Sky? Take your blood pressure. Yep. Okay, wow. Yeah. One of those. I got it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I knew what I was talking about. Crystal, are you ready to play a little tone-deaf karaoke? Yes, I am. All right, I'm going to play the clip. Just wait until it plays to give me an answer. Here we go. It flew like a feather. And I put it forward. Your song was special. Really good. Okay, now that was sexy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. I'm in high now.
For sure, yeah. Like, I'm turned on. I don't know why. Candles, light candles. Yeah, everywhere. No. People and Crystal, what? Can you give me a title or an artist? Is it Defton? No. Nope. Nope, it was Radiohead. Oh, they were in town yesterday, Ashley. Is that right? Yeah. Did you go and sing with them? Oh, I should have. No, I love this song. It's like the same thing. I wish I was special. I always remember guys that were in bands and real talented musically played like eight different instruments or something. You would always tell me Radiohead was the greatest band ever and like you either got it or you don't. My boyfriend loves them. Like, they're his favorite bands. Yeah, my husband had a good friend in high school before this song became really popular that told girls he was in a band and this was him. And this was his song. And he would play Creep, the song Creep for Chicks, saying, yeah, that's my band, that's us. And then, like, a couple years later, it became a radio hit. You've got to be kidding me. That's hilarious. Like, who does that? You know, a creep. A creep. A creep. A creep.
That's so weird. If my friend did that, I'd have to stop being friends. It would creep me out so much. I think of that every time I hear that song. It's so creepy. You want Serge, are you there? Is he Serge Tarkanian? No, my actual name is Sergio. Gotcha. What do you do, Serge? I am a radiological technician. I am too. No way, Jose. I'm a radiological technician. Well, you're kind of a radio technician, but not logical. Well, I mean, logically. You're in radio, you're logical, and you're a technician. Thank you. What? That's right. And so, thank you. Serge, what do you do? Oh, you just said. Sorry, sorry, sorry. No, sorry, sorry. Sorry, sorry. One question. I misspoke. Oh, my goodness. You're the best. Execution. I'm going to play you a little clip. When the clip is done, I want you to give me title. Eddie's putting his sunglasses on. Yeah. I want you to give me title or artist when the clip is done. Are you ready? I'm ready. Here we go. That was definitely your call. Two for two right there. P1 Surge. That was so much harder than the previous two clips that you played. I actually thought that one was easier than the other two. Thank you, Mike. Yeah. That is one of the... I'll give you a hint, bro. It's one of the biggest...
most gigantic classic rock songs of all time. Can I hear it one more time? Sure. I'll play it for you one more time. Is this Freedom Rock? I almost shot Coke out my nose. My mom originally made this song popular? That's right. We call Sky's mom this all the time. The name of this band. I can't understand what she's saying, man. It sounds like an injured cat. That's true. That is true. Not nice. Dude, that was Skynyrd, man. That was Sweet Home Alabama. Yeah! Sweet Home Alabama. Dedication to your mom, Sky. Aw, thank you. So you can let her know. Skynyrd will appreciate that. Today we found out that Sky's mom's name was Lynn. She has been Leonard Skynyrd ever since. Sorry, Serge. Sorry, brother. One more. Let's do one more. P1 Cortana. Cortana. What's going on, guys? P1 Cortana. Cortana, what do you do?
Above all, I'm a mom and I'm a student. Nice. Very cool. How old are you? 21. You grew up here? I grew up in San Fernando Valley. Right on. That's the original Valley Girls. Original Valley Girls. That's right. Okay, you ready to do this? I'm ready. Here we go. I saw the world thrashing all around your face. Porky's back. Never really, I know when it was always Michelle. What? Oh, son of a... Oh, God. Those are not the words. Those are not the words. Sorry about that. Yeah. I love when she sings with an accent. It's my favorite. You love that? Yeah. That was an accent? Yeah. P1 Cortana. Is that right? Did I say it right? Cortana. Cortana. If you want Cortana, what was that? Is it Melt With You? It was Melt With You. That was the same song. That was the same song. I'm not kidding. It's like watching a Taco Bell commercial. What is that song? Sorry, Sean.
Sean is stumped. Sean is really upset. He's really upset to hear that song beat. It hurts my feelings. Cortana, you're a winner. What were we giving away? What was the prize today? Only a pair of tickets to see Chris Cornell at the House of Blues. Are you serious? Are you serious? Are you serious? Are you serious? Look at that, Cortana. I love you. Cortana, you get to go see Chris Cornell at the House of Blues tomorrow night. Awesome. Hang on, okay? Don't go away. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 5701053. Yes, you are. And Ashley. It's really hard for me to watch difficult movies. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. 7.39. John McCain has decided on his running mate and is expected to announce his pick for VP tomorrow. Sean Merriman decides, you know, those doctors, what do they know? I'm actually going to play football until he can't play anymore. He says, no way to surgery. All of them did say I needed surgery. It just wasn't a time frame on that. You know, my knee still looks pretty good, and the decision was left up to me to play. And then, you know, if you give a football player a decision to play, you know, I'm going to play. All right. Well, we'll see what happens. Yeah, we will. And we'll keep our fingers crossed, and we'll hope for the best. That's all you can do. Right? Mikey, I was listening to overnight radio last night when a public service announcement came on for prescription medication.
They warned that some can cause extremely sensitivity to the sun. I laughed out loud all by myself. That's why I love the Mikey show. P1 Cucaracha. See, it happens. That's right. Sky was taking a medication called orthotricycline. That was birth control? I don't know if that was the name of it. It could have been a different one, a different version of the pill. Right, right, right, right. But whatever it was, it caused extreme sensitivity to sunlight. True. Laugh out loud. And it caused a second degree burn on Skye's epidermis. Yeah. Epidermis. Yeah. And she was medicated. Not medicated. Not medicated. But she was treated. Can you just move along? I thought I was handling that. I have a lot of questions. I thought I was handling that as delicately as possible. I get a lot of questions, but fine. Poisonous snakes. Eddie, you do not. I don't know what she was medicating with. You've heard this story 700 times. You say second degree. I have questions about that. Shush. What are your questions? I really have time to ask these questions. You could ask that one question. It's like Michael Corleone said at the end of The Godfather. Okay, you can ask me one question.
And that's it. When you say treated, I don't understand that. How was she treated? She was treated at her mother's house. Her mother poured urine on her back. Mike. No. I mean. That's a true story. You can't just say things like that. I mean. That's a true story. Well, no. That's impossible. It is not impossible. In fact, we talked to her mother on the radio, on the phone, about it. And she said that that's what she did. That's ridiculous, Mike. Well, it was a professional's opinion that that's what she should do. What kind of a professional? A person that was an on-call nurse. You really not know any of this? It was a professional on-call staff employee of Kaiser Permanente. Really? That's right. And they said to pour, what did you say? They said to pour urine on it. Wow. Skye, did you talk to them? I do not know the answer to the following question. Skye, did you talk to them or did your mother talk to them? My mom, I believe. And that's what they told her to do. Is it a prank? Oh, it's a long time ago. Oh, great. Please. We move on. What do you say? Let's move on. I would be more than happy to. Hey, Mikey. Totally off the subject, but is there any way that you guys can start streaming your show on the iPhone? Can I hear that?
Well, you can, but you can't with our show. And the reason that you can't, because I've asked about it. Oh, really? And the reason that you can't is because Clear Channel. Clear Channel. Clear Channel Communications, the company that owns Rock 105, they have some things set up that will not allow it. So if your iPhone has web access, you can't go to our website and stream it? You cannot. Everybody else? You cannot. No. That may change, though. That's crazy. I would love for it to change. It would be great. Change it. The other thing I would like is to be able to watch television on my iPhone. I can't do that yet. But Zed can, and I've watched him do it, and it looks great. It looks really good. You sit there, yeah, you sit there and watch TV and see the TV, and it looks like normal time. It's not, like, all shaky or, you know. You know what I mean? Awesome. That looks really good. Mikey, Ashley singing Sweet Home Alabama is almost as bad as John Mayer's version of Free Falling. Oh, how guaranteed. That is a compliment. Not quite that bad. Not quite that bad. Says ruined a classic. That's P1, Welder Boy. All right, so yeah, before we went to break, I said that in Japan, he had a bite, right, Skye? Mm-hmm. And what happened? A guy was sick.
He called an ambulance because he got so sick. When they showed up to his small little apartment, they basically found snakes on top of snakes on top of snakes on top of snakes. He had 51 deadly cobras and mambas in his tiny little apartment in Tokyo. He deserved to die. Yeah, and he was bitten while trying to feed one of the snakes. That's crazy. Yeah, he was so sick that he actually had to stay in the hospital for a couple of weeks. Wow. Yeah, and I guess he's in trouble because I guess you have to register deadly animals or something in Japan. I don't know exactly what it is. Well, you do, but then they say that usually when you do, you have to do it again about an hour later. Maybe I had that. Could have had that wrong. Okay. Wow. 570-1053 is our phone number. And call us right now. You could also text messages at 35253. P1 Pete. What's up? Hey, how you doing, Mikey? Good, man. What's up? I was actually just calling to get your opinion on something. All right. I had a treadmill that I wasn't using. A what? You had a what? A treadmill. A treadmill. Oh, a treadmill. Treadmill. Yeah.
Treadmill. Treadmill. A treadmill. Okay. And so I gave it to my buddy. I was like, hey, would you use a treadmill? And he's like, oh, yeah, sounds great. So I gave my buddy the treadmill, and then a couple days ago, I'm messing around on Craigslist, and my buddy's selling the treadmill that I gave him. Awesome. All right, we have to walk through this slowly. I called him up. I was like, dude, that's totally not cool. He's like, dude, you gave it to me. It's mine now. I can do whatever I want with it. All right, let's walk through this slowly before I make my decision. Snap judgment, Mike. Go. Yes, let me make a rash decision. Nice. Let's see. Did you say that you asked him if he wanted it? Yeah. Okay, and he said yeah. Yes. And then it turned up on Craigslist. Yes. Boy, that's real gray. Be one thing if he said, hey, you going to do anything with, I don't know, even then. I definitely, there's no doubt about it. It's 100%, not 99%, not 99.9. It's 100% shady. Shady. From the putting it on Craigslist to the reaction. The reaction makes it even more shady. The reaction of.
Do what I want when it's mine. It's a strange reaction. That's not acceptable. Yeah. Well said. Let's take a hikey, turkey. Yeah, my... Okay, yeah, I just figured it out. It's wrong. Oh, come on. Come on. Who doesn't think that's wrong? Me. You don't think that's wrong, Sky? What? Yeah, you do. I do not. You have to, or we can't communicate. I mean, if it was me, I would have handled... I would have handled it a little differently. How would you have handled it? So if I was this dude's friend and he offered me the treadmill and I knew my intention was to sell it, I would first say, are you sure you don't want it? I'll be like, you don't want to sell it or anything? I'll be like, no, no, you can have it. I'll be like, okay. And then free for all. Money, money, money. Save that clip. Yes, save that clip. Oh my gosh. What do I do? Send it to Sean right now. Immediately send it to Sean. I'm Mike's boss. We're going to play it immediately. We have to start playing it immediately. Are you kidding? Money, money, money is 50 billion times better than Skrill. Way better.
Anyway. Hey, Instigator and Marcus, you guys were here for a historic moment. Oh, shush. You guys were in the studio the day Sky said, money, money, money. Money, money, money, money. I think if he didn't want it, if he didn't get back on course. The whole story made my mouth water. Gold, money, everything. Give it to me. Yes. Money, money, money, money. I want the whole thing. Mine, mine own. If he didn't want it, if he didn't want to, you know, take the effort to sell it himself, then I don't see what the problem is here. It's shady. I thought he was going to use it. Wait, Sky, if you had done it, he was going to use it and like run on it. Well, yeah, but would you have sold it if he didn't take it? Like, what would you have done with it? Would you have donated it? Would you have sold it? It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Well, it matters to me. I'll tell you why it doesn't matter. Because I think that the prevailing principle here is.
If you can't tell someone your intention, you might need to reconsider your intention. Well, I'm not saying you can't tell the intention. You wouldn't, though. Well said, Mike. Well said. I think this friend did him a favor by taking it off his hands. Skye. What? If it were you. Yes. And the way that you painted it, and the way that you played it out, how come you're not telling him what your intention is? Mm-hmm. Wouldn't it have been cool to have been like, yeah, I'll take it. Is it cool if I sell it? Yeah, that would have been cool. That's not what she was going to say, though. But you would never do that. Probably not, but whatever. I'm doing you a favor. I'm doing you a favor. I'm taking it off your hands. I'm doing you a favor, so stop. It's a shady thing. Actually, I'm doing you a favor. I'm giving you a treadmill.
You're the one who wants it taken off your hands. I'm offering you something. And I'm helping you by taking it. Why are you helping me? Because I'm taking something off your hands that you don't want. I offered it to you. I'll give it to somebody else who wants to use it. Yeah, I accepted it and I'm taking it off your hands. It's not what I'm giving it to you for. If you don't know. If you don't feel comfortable telling somebody your intentions. I win. Pete said. Oh, Pete. Pete, wouldn't you have given it to somebody else if they would have said, oh, yeah, I'll take it and sell it? Yeah, I would give it to somebody who would use it. Well, I'm sure whoever buys it on Craigslist is going to use it. Sky. I don't think someone's going to buy it not to use it. That's terrible. Are you going to split the money with them? Only if it doesn't fit in the re-gift closet. Money, money, money. Oh, there it is. Yes! Oh, my gosh. Grow up. Juicy. Sweet. So lame. Sweet music. Money, money, money. Oh, no. Why? No. Ladies and gentlemen, you are here for a historic moment. This is lame. This is not historic. This is a moment. And this will be.
Last night at the Democratic National Convention was historic. This is BS. No, money, money, money is way bigger. Way bigger. Way bigger. Money, money, money. Pete, let's take some phone calls. Do you mind? No, not at all. People are calling in. P1 Fish, you there? Yeah, I'm here. What's up? What's up, my man? Go ahead. What do you think? All right. Well, I'm not going to lie. You know, his buddy did make a little shady move, you know, but he took it off of his hands, you know, and if he wants to put it up on Craigslist, that's his decision. You know, he might use the treadmill for a day or two, but it was a smart move. He did his buddy a favor. He took the treadmill off of his hands. Sky's right. Sky is right. And you are right. That is, in fact, what you just said is a matter of fact. That is true. But what we're discussing is, is it right or wrong? It's categorically wrong. The reason it's wrong is because if you can't tell somebody your intentions, your intentions are weird. Well, I don't think it's right at all. I don't think it's right at all. I mean, the guys, the spirit of the gift is to have this guy use it. He offered him something of his to you for you to use, not to sell. Did he specify that? Did you specify? Did he specify? He has to specify, don't sell this. I'm giving this to you, but don't sell it.
Like, who would do that? No, I didn't think I would have to. Yeah. Like, what human being would do that? Money, money, money. It would be equivalent to, like, Eddie gave me four really, really awesome, like, DVD holders. And he just, all he asked was, do you want them? And I said, sure, I'll take them. I didn't, and there was no further conversation than that. And, like, how pissed would you be, Eddie, if I, like... them on Craigslist. I would be hurt. I would never do that. I would be hurt. I really would be because I gave them to her for her to use. If she wasn't going to use them, I'll give them to somebody else who can use them. Absolutely. And I would never do that because I feel like that's really jacked up to do to my friends. I have a question. I would. You're jacked. I said money, money, money. I would do it. I would be comfortable with her doing it as long as she told me her intention. And you know what else I would have said? I would have said, are you sure nobody else wants this? I would say, if you need, I would say this. I would say, listen, if you need the money, money, money that bad, then I will definitely allow you to take it and sell it. I don't, but I mean, there's a little piece in my shoe where I can put it. Well, I...
I can't give it to you then. I'd rather give it to somebody that's going to put it to use, you know? Okay, well, if you can't find anybody, let me know. And then you'll, oh. And then I'll take it off your hands. If I can't find anybody, what I'll probably do is sell it on Craigslist. Okay, well, cool. You know what, if I can't find, but what I'd like to do is give it to someone as a gift, you know, like they could have it and use it. It's like a secondhand gift? Yeah, because I've already, you know, I don't have a use for it, but it's a nice treadmill. So I'd like to give it to somebody. P1 Gunslinger was in the same situation. Gunslinger, are you there? Good, man. And the lady had a spa, two kayaks, and a windsurfer. She said, if you use them, you can have them. And I said, well, I'm not going to use them all. But I told her about Craigslist. She can sell the windsurfer. And she said, no, I'd rather see someone use them. I said, well, you know, I'd take the three things.
Well, go ahead and take them all. You know, it's all or nothing. You know what, gunslinger? You actually just helped me with my thought here by telling me that story. With your what? By telling me the story that you just told me, you actually kind of helped me develop my opinion. And the way that you did was by illustrating the fact that you were a stranger in that situation. hey, do you want a treadmill? And they took it and they put it on Craigslist. I wouldn't be that surprised. I don't know that I'd care. But the reason that it would make a difference is that when you give something to a friend, there is a foregone conclusion that they aren't going to take it and then sell it.
It's not like it's a family heirloom or something. Grow up. Oh, my gosh. We're being very immature here. Man. We live in a capitalist society. Figure it out. P1 paparazzi is on the line, ladies. Eddie just gave me the break signal. Eddie just gave me the break signal. But I don't know if it's time to break. It was that fast. It was that fast. It was that fast. Eddie is really giving me the ultra break signal now. In a minute, I'll get the super dog break signal, which is serious break signal. Paparazzi, what up? Yeah, Pete, did he give a price or did he say call best offer, blah, blah, blah? It's call best offer. I wonder how much he wants for your treadmill. Can we get his number and call him? Off the air? Would you mind? No, that's fine. All right, hang on. Thank you, paparazzi. Hang on a second. We'll try to get... Yeah, you got to do best offer on that stuff because there's so much workout equipment on Craigslist. Money, money, money. People can't give that stuff away, Eddie. Did him a favor. Eddie is just staring at Sky right now. We will try to get the friend on the line. Back after this. And we'll bid... Yeah, we'll bid on the...

We've got some tough freeways on our hands right now as you travel down the coastline South 5. You're going to find the jam up here from Poinsettia Lane in Carlsbad down to where a stolen out big rig just passed Lacoste in the right lanes caused a major backup behind that. Getting past that, your commute traffic is still heavy as well out of Encinitas and the Salona Beach now. South Ponset of the 15 has been very tough as well this morning off the 78 down past Vier Rancho Parkway. Reduced speeds again from Carmel Mountain Road into Palway.
The westbound 56 is also seeing a bit of a tight ride here. As you come in from Black Mountain Road out to around Camino del Sur, then again from Rancho Santa Fe Farms, trying to get to the 5 freeway. Still plenty of brake lights on that West 52 out of Santee to the top of the summit. The 8's been good to go all morning long. Still a nice ride there. West 94 on the King Freeway still jammed up from Euclid Avenue all the way to downtown. And you're finding a tough ride as well in the 805 northbound here. Coming up from Home Avenue all the way in towards Mesa College. An accident in the snow lane there caused that back up. And then you've got the usual slowdown out of Kearney Mesa over the 52. Cricket gets it. What do you mean no?
I mean, no, you can get a service plan through Cricut Wireless and you can come and go as you please. You don't have to sign a contract. You're not tied down for like two years. I like it a lot. I don't like stinky cheeses. Sean. Headshot boys are one of my favorite groups. Boston Rob. I was like a shaken puppy. Like I... That's a very common terminology. You guys don't use that? Maybe it's an East Coast thing. And Ashley. I'm always hydrated. The mic show's on. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's 8.13. Actress Mackenzie Phillips was arrested at LAX yesterday after drugs were found in her carry-on bag. The Raven's cow Bowler has a torn labrum and says he's going to wait and see if he needs surgery. That's like a new trend, I guess. I guess so, man. I guess so.
So, Beyonce's little sister, whose name I heard for the first time yesterday. I didn't know that Beyonce had a little sister until yesterday. Now, I realize I'm not very, you know, I'm not up on this stuff. Not the hippest guy in the world. I am not on the cutting edge of young people stuff. Young people stuff. I'm barely on the, I'm not on the cutting edge of my people stuff. I'm just not. And so when I heard that Beyonce had a little sister named Solange, Solange Moonfry, wasn't she Punky Brewster? No, no. Different. All right. Well, when I heard that Beyonce had a little sister, I was already surprised. But then when I heard that she had a little sister that's actually in the music industry, okay, bigger surprise. Now, apparently, Solange, am I saying that right? Don't ask me. Okay. Solange Knowles, Beyonce's little sister. It was going to appear on television on KVUU TV Las Vegas. Now, what it appears like was it was what they call a media tour. Right. And we'll do media tours all the time. You know, we'll take somebody as a guest on the Mikey show. And that day they will do a number of interviews on radio. And then when they're done with that, they will do a bunch of interviews on television.
And so that's what this was. She probably was on KVUU television in Las Vegas, and then after that probably went on with some other station in Houston, and then after that some place in Salt Lake City, that kind of deal. Well, what happened was they go to interview Solange. They go to interview her, and unbeknownst to them, she'd been talking to a producer on her end in who knows where, Los Angeles, wherever she was at. She'd been talking to a producer and the producer had said something to her that she didn't like. Whoa. And she somehow didn't make the connection. Now, I think that this is the deal. I don't believe she's in studio with them. Right, Skye? Right, yeah. I actually watched the video of this. And so it's like one of those things where, oh, we're going to go via satellite, blah, blah, blah. And then you see a split screen of the anchor in the studio and then her like in some room somewhere. Got it. And I guess the producer of the TV station. had asked during commercial break off the air if it would be okay to talk about Jay-Z, her brother-in-law, during the on-air segment. She doesn't realize they're not on the air. Right. She thinks that that's happening on the air live. What? Yeah. And this is what it sounds like when that happens. Cut 20. Hey, welcome back to more Ashley Simpson stepped out.
Love her big sister, Shadow, to become a star. And now Solange Knowles, who has a very famous sister as well, is launching her own unique music career. Solange Knowles joins us live to talk about her new and exciting album that just hit stores yesterday. Solange, good morning and thanks a lot for joining us. Good morning. I have to say that was not a very professional introduction before. Please don't tie me into family and my brother-in-law's establishment. Okay, well, we do apologize. I don't know if we talked about your brother-in-law's establishment. You're talking about with TMZ? No, no, no. I'm talking about just a few minutes ago. That wasn't live, Solange. That wasn't on TV. Whatever the case, we do apologize. We're glad that you're here with us this morning. Okay. All right. Oh, wow. Extraordinarily patient host. Yes. Unbelievable. Yes. Very, very patient and very gracious. Oh. Diva? Hey, your album's been out for two days, lady. A minute. Chill out. Wow. That was a bit telling. Oh, jeez. Right? Yuck. So, I don't know. Maybe somebody pulls her over and says, listen, Solange. Solange. I've heard it now and I don't remember it. Solarium. Solange. Solange. Solame. Solame. Solame.
But even if they did reference Jay-Z on the air, how is that, like, inappropriate? Because it's about her right now. How is that not professional? Because it's about her right now, Skye. I wonder if that is the deal. It's about me right now. Is that the deal? Yeah, well, I know when TMZ covered the story on their website and included video. This is my interpretation of what they wrote. Intentionally, they never mention her by name in the TMZ story. They only mention her as Beyonce's little sister and Jay-Z's sister-in-law. They never once put her name in the story. I think because, just like you said, she's mad because she thinks it's all about her. That did not turn out good for her. No. That did not turn out good. All right, let's take some phone calls. When we left, we had a guy call in and say that he had a treadmill that he was giving away to friends. He said, hey, said to his friend, do you want this treadmill? Friend said, yeah, put it on Craigslist. Oh. And he was like, should I be upset about that? Money, money, money. Sky says no. You shouldn't be upset about it. The guy's doing you a favor. He took it from you. It's none of your business what he did with it after he took it. Right.
My point was, well, if you can't tell the person your intentions when you take it from them, there might be something wrong with your intentions. 570-1053 is the number. 35253 is the text. P1 crack. Yeah. Are you there? Yes, I am. Why do you call yourself? Well, first of all, tell everybody what a P1 is. It's someone that doesn't cast, turns on the radio, and gets straight to the... And gets straight to the point. Why P1 crack? Um, family nickname for the longest time. Why did they call you Crack? Right? Crack is what? Wait, wait, wait. Your phone was breaking up. It got started what? No, it started off as Cracker Jacks. I wish her phone was not breaking up. She said it started as Cracker Jacks. The phone is breaking up. But I'm going to try to hear what you're saying here. What was the point you wanted to make, P1 Crack? Oh, wow. Well said. That's too bad. Or not. Or not. It happens. Not so much. P1 Fighting Irish is on the line. Hey, Mikey, how you doing? Good. So, yeah, I was listening to the show and heard this comment, and I had the same thing happen to me. My wife and I were done having our kids.
And we had a bunch of baby stuff to give away. And we were going to give it to either Salvation Army or sell it ourselves. And my sister-in-law decided that she was going to start having her kids. So my mother-in-law and everybody said, you need to give all this stuff to her. So we did. And we found out a couple weeks later that she had sold all the stuff we had given her to buy herself newer, better stuff. Wow. Genius. That would hurt my feelings. A little bit. Money, money, money. Sky, would that hurt your feelings? It wouldn't hurt my feelings, but to me that's like a little different. Why? You know what I mean? Because they were talking. It's like if in the treadmill incident, it's like if the guy were to be to his friend, oh, I really wanted to start working out. This is great because I'm about to start working out. Like you're deceiving somebody. Yeah, but he says that it was his family that pressured him into giving it. Yeah, under the guise of she's about to start having children. Yeah, but she wasn't asking for it. Okay, well, the family did you a disservice that way. Okay. We could have used the money, too. Right, and again, he would have sold it himself. You know, lots of times people give things away because they don't want to go through the hassle of putting things on Craigslist and getting calls and strangers showing up. Well, Pete didn't even have that chance. We still have Pete on the line.
We wanted to call the guy because I guess he's got it on Craigslist as best offer. Pete, are you there? Yeah. Pete said, not a good idea. Yeah, this is his only day off, and he's sleeping in, and I don't want to exacerbate the situation. Still a good friend. That's nice. He's still being a good guy. Pete, you're an angel. Yeah. So the gift of the treadmill in the first place was to make his friend happy, right? Mm-hmm. I like where you're going. Mm-hmm. The friend received the treadmill. I mean, listen, you're appointing that, but okay. For the sake of the argument, sure. Well, the gift, whatever the gift may be, you're giving a gift to make somebody essentially happy. If you wanted to, you could say it this way. He gave him this gift because he wanted to warm him, like warm his pockets, right? You know, like he wanted to... Mike. No, no, no. He wanted to. That's what he does. I'm twisting it. Come on. I mean, you're working overtime, buddy. I know where you're going with this. He wanted to make him happy. Money makes everybody happy, Mike. Money, money, money, money, money, money. It does, doesn't it? Money, money, money. Most people. If I give you a big wad of cash, you're going to be happy? I'll be ecstatic. But I'm giving you this treadmill because I'm expecting you to work out. Are you calling me fat? Yeah. Wow, that's rude, Eddie. That is rude. Well, I think you could use a little endurance training. Either way, either way, the friend.
Really? Wow, Eddie. Not at all. I'm your friend. I'm your friend. You're getting a jump rope for your birthday. Okay. P1 in the hot pocket. P1 Beezer, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Go ahead. What if the guy graciously split the proceeds? Like, hey, by the way, you know, I got a good deal on your treadmill. How about here? Let me give you half. Well, how does that make it okay? Well, ask, ask. Yeah, Pete, is that cool? Yeah, Pete, is it okay if he slaps your face but says he's sorry? Is it okay if he rips off your car but shares the money with you when he sells it? No. Pete, the question is, would you feel better about it if he gave you half the money? I guess, yeah. You would do that, right, Sky? What's up? Isn't that kind of like accepting that money?
Taking the gift back? Like, oh, you know, well, you did all this hard work. Now, Rob, you're making the giving half the money a bad thing. Like, you're now assigning that a terrible thing. If he's accepting it, he's kind of a jerk for like, no, dude, I gave that to you. Whatever you do, if you ran on it for two days in a row and decided, hey, treadmill ain't for me, and you sold it, good for you. How about giving it back to me if you don't want it? Why? Because you're not using it. Wait a second. Hang on, Rob. What you're saying, though, is making it like you have no intent to sell it when you know full well that's why you're accepting it, because you want to sell it. You're making it into something completely different. Oh, I wanted it because I wanted to use the treadmill, but then I tried it out and I didn't like it so much. How do you know? You're jumping to the conclusion that he intended to sell it from the beginning. Maybe he didn't. This coming from a guy who started it. Didn't consider that, yes. You started it. How many hobbies? And after a couple of days, did I take the hobby from somebody? No, but did I take something from somebody and then sell it? How can you criticize someone that goes, oh, I got a treadmill. I tried it for, maybe it was an hour. Maybe he went on it for an hour and said, this ain't for me. I thought it was, but it ain't for me. I'm going to make a little cash. Totally what this sounds like. Totally what this sounds like. Thank you, Mike. If that were the case, wouldn't it be the prudent thing to do?
I'm not rude. To give it back. If you tried it for an hour, I'm like, this isn't for me. At least tell your friend. Hey, Pete, you know what? I tried it for an hour. I really didn't like it. Do you want it back? Or can you give it to somebody else? I just want to get this straight. I just want to get this straight. Now, in order to justify the grossness of what we're doing. That's what I'm doing. I'm justifying it. You are. Well, you're saying that you took it because you wanted to use a treadmill. But then, like me, getting bored of a hobby. He got bored of the treadmill hobby. And then decided, huh, what shall I do now? What shall I do? Oh, I know. I'll make a profit from my friend's gift. Because I don't think if he had it for three months and then sold it, you guys would be going, ah, that's a bad thing. I wouldn't. I probably wouldn't if it was three months later and the guy used it. It's the same thing. One hour or three months. Either way. It's actually a big difference. One hour? Okay. Hold your breath. It's not. Hold your breath for one hour. Hold your breath for three months. I'm not superhuman. You'd be dead either way, Mike. Don't eat for one hour. Don't eat for three months. I think they're a little different. Ridiculous. I feel you're off. Pete. Yeah. Listen, maybe tomorrow when the dude isn't...
When the dude isn't sleeping or whatever, we would like to call him and see what best offer is on your treadmill. We'll try to scam it back for you. Oh, dude. Hey, Pete, you should call him and offer to buy your old treadmill back. Yeah, my name's Pete. Yeah. And I was just calling because I saw your treadmill on Craigslist. Oh, good. And I was, Sky, what would you do? So if your point is all good and you're all fine doing that, what would you do if I called you and I said, hi, Sky there, please? Yeah. Is this the number? You have a treadmill for sale? Yes. Hi, my name's Mike and I'm calling about the treadmill. How much are you offering? Why are you doing this, clown? Well, I saw it on Craigslist. But you're my friend and you're calling right now acting like you don't know me. Oh, but I'm totally shocked. I'm confused. Oh.
Well, but why do you want a treadmill? You just gave it away because you don't use it. I know, but you know, the thing is, is that a friend of mine next door actually was looking for a treadmill. And I said, darndest thing, I just gave mine away the other day. Otherwise, I'd give it to you since you want to use one. But I thought as a nice friend, I would get one for him. And so I thought, I look on Craigslist. I didn't want to take it from you. Why are you doing these shenanigans? Why aren't you just calling me and saying, hey, are you using that treadmill? Because somebody else is interested. I'll be honest with you. I thought this was somebody else. I wouldn't have imagined. Oh, I'm sure. That's why you have that tone. That's why you have that tone, Mike. Wait a second, Skye. That's why you have that tone. Wait a second, Skye. Am I the bad guy here? Yes, you are, because you're playing the game. Wait, who's on the phone? Who is this? Who is that? Skye, who is that talking? That's my masonry expert. Emergency breakthrough. How did he get on the line? He sounds light. Well, he's been on that treadmill. Hey, Pete, we're going to take some calls and just listen off the air. And just chill out while you're at it. No. This guy says grow up and chill out. Figure it out, bro. Mature a little bit. No. Thank you, Pete. If it makes you feel better, he probably won't sell it anyway. I just went on Craig's list. There's like 8 million treadmills. So good luck. Money, money, money. Jenny? Yes? What were you calling to say?
So I would say I found a bottle of Pepsi Clear in my deceased grandma's garage. And my best friend at the time was a big fan of Pepsi and, like, loved Pepsi and, like, collected Pepsi stuff. So I was like, oh, Pepsi Clear doesn't exist anymore. This is kind of rare, cool, two-liter Pepsi Clear. You can't get this anymore. So I gave it to my best friend who gladly wanted it. Next thing I know, like, the next day. put it up on eBay, and send it for $40. No, that's what a collector does. That's what a collector does. That's the point of being a collector. You collect, you sell stuff on eBay. I collect Red Sox stuff, and I wouldn't. Yeah, like anyone would sell a Star Wars stuff. Okay, let's put it this way. Let's put it this way. The point of collecting things many times is the hobby of it. You like them, and you collect them because you want to have them. But it doesn't surprise me. that a collector is in the business of being the other definition of a collector, which is that they buy and sell those things. But do you see how it still kind of is a little bit harsh because she was being considerate thinking, oh, this is my best friend and she's got a collection of Pepsi stuff. Let me add to the collection. This is a considerate move. Just depends. No, this one is messed up. And then she goes and sells it. This one is messed up. This is her.
Dead grandma's property. To me, that's like a family heirloom. Why is she giving it away then? Because her friend collects it. Would you give away a family heirloom? Well, okay. Oh, my God. It's just a family heirloom. If I... Money, money, money, money, money, money, money. No, no, no. Honestly, I don't know. Money, money, money. Like if, you know, when my grandfather passed away, you know. Money, money, money, money. Money, money, money. Money, money, money. It's gone. When my grandfather passed away, you know, obviously there was a house full of stuff. You know what I mean? So I kept all the stuff that I wanted to keep that was of value to me. But if I had a friend that collected something that was my grandfather's. Like a bottle of Pepsi. Yeah, it's a bottle of Pepsi. It's not an heirloom. And that's why I don't want to keep it. But it was still, you know, my dead grandparents. And so I think my friend would have a little more respect for that than a piece of, you know, something I bought at Sports Chalet. You know what I mean? This isn't a samurai sword, bro. It's a bottle of Pepsi. Yeah, Pepsi. Hey, I just want to get it in order. Selling a treadmill, totally fine. Pepsi clear, out of the question. No. Selling something you buy at a store, okay. Of something that belonged to a family member, not okay.
All right. What if the treadmill belonged to my grandfather? Then, yeah. That's awful. Yeah. Oh, my God. Then it would be bad. Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money. Oh, my gosh. Because normally, you know, lots of times when somebody passes, you either donate everything or you, you know, have a garage sale. So they could have done that themselves. Thank you very much. P1 Jenny. Sorry, Jenny. P1 Banjo. Hey, good morning, guys. Good morning. All right, well, my situation is we actually work with me and my girlfriend. We work at the same place. We work with this guy who happens to be the uncle of Wav, who is the drummer of P.O.D. We love Wav. We love Wav. Yeah, Wav, man. He's an awesome guy. I met him a couple times. But anyways, it turns out my girlfriend was trying to learn how to play drums. He said, hey, you know what? I have an old drum set that Wav used to play, and it's just sitting in my garage collecting dust. You can have it. So, you know, we were stoked. It's a love drum set. We go over and we pick it up. We start messing around with it for, you know, like a week or two. And then she decides she doesn't want to play drums. And, you know, I'm just like, okay, well, wouldn't it be really cool? You know, I have a friend who wants to play drums too. We could pass it along to him. And her thing is, no, I can make some money off of this. And I'm thinking, you know. Greed. Exactly. You know, how do I tell her? You're being kind of a bee, you know.
You'd say what Eddie said. You'd just say that one word. Yeah. That might illustrate your point. Right. And I mean, it's not just any drum set. If it's just a beat down crappy drum set, whatever. But it's Wolves drum set. I think it'd be really awesome for someone else out there. Sure. Sure. Thank you for the call, man. I appreciate it. All right. I almost did something like this. What? But it was a little different. Do you guys remember program? radio program director up in San Francisco named Michael Martin. He gave me a signed guitar from Audioslave. Oh, yeah. And I wanted to put it on eBay for a charity. Oh, okay, for charity. I was going to say, you didn't even offer it to your friends first? Is that wrong? Absolutely not. That wasn't, you know, that was a gift to you. That was like a birthday gift almost, you know? And once it's like a gift, it's yours. But I thought the treadmill was a gift. It wasn't Michael Martin's originally. He got a guitar. He got it signed and gave it to Mike. It was a present. I mean, that's a big difference. Now, I'll tell you the way that he gave it to me. It was never his. And I'll even tell you the way that it happened, the way that it went down. The way that it went down was we were sitting in his office. And I go, who signed the guitar? And he goes, audio slave. I go, oh, cool, man. They're awesome. And it was right when that album came out, the first one.
And I loved them. I go, oh, dude, they're awesome. He goes, you want it? It was just like that. So it was his. It was in his office. It was in his office. And they signed it. You know, it was a radio station thing. It was sitting in his office. It was just like that. Don't give me that look like I just punched your mother. You don't know the difference? I don't know. Well, you know what I'm saying? It was one of those deals where we're sitting there. He go, this is exactly how it sounded. Hey, who signed that guitar? Audioslave. Oh, dude, they're cool. You want it? Was it sitting on display in his office? It was just leaning up against the, like he had a, he had a ledge behind the desk that like looked out onto San Francisco and it was sitting on the ledge leaned up against the window. It was on display, yeah. Yeah, I mean, it was, it was as much on display as something, as anything in your office that you're like leaning. It wasn't on display in terms of like, did it have like a. Yeah, it wasn't in like a glass case. It wasn't. I don't know that it's fair to say that it was on display. I don't think it's fair to say that. But it's not like it was meant for a giveaway or it was in the back of his closet. Is the stuffed animal that we have on top of the console here, is that on display? Yeah, the panda from a P1, yes. That is on display? Yes. See, I would think that we stuck it up there. Oh. The stuff in our office that I have up against the windowsill is on display. I agree with that. Because you can tell. Like, it's been organized and you can tell.
Yeah, that's Panda Central up there. We got two of them. Do you know how many signed and goofy things, guitars and all things, that Michael Martin probably has? Yeah. Oh, it was very clear that he was like, you know. But they're his. If he didn't want it, it would have immediately gone to the promotions department. It wouldn't have gone up on the sill in his office. It would have gone to promotions for a giveaway. Did you just say the sill? Yeah, dude. Short for windowsill. Ash gets it. And there he is. And boom goes the dinosaur. Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money. See, that's the bottom line here. 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. Yes. It's very cute. These are the Pluto skirts that the Pod Squad will be wearing on Friday night. So can you explain the Elvis thing? I just got a little sick. Actually, I just had a piece of brisket stuck under there. I got you. I got you. I got you. Speaking of brisket, we've got Burning Love Beef Brisket. It's a Burning Love Beef Brisket powder with loving you cornbread and baby oh baby baked beans. And ladies, is this your creation? Is this your creation? This is a melt. Yeah. You get a bunch of minds together and you just throw some ideas around. We've got the drinks. Yeah. You got to get those lights on, guys. Turn those lights on. There you go. Taking pictures of us. To go with all that good food that's going to be going all over the park tomorrow. Food is delicious. There's a blue suede martinis and Burning Love Long Island.
And we are encouraging fans to dress as you lovely people are dressed right now, especially Eddie. And dress in your 50s gear or dress as Priscilla or Elvis. We're going to have dance contests. Now, why don't you go with Elvis and not like the Sex Pistols or something like that? I don't know. What's more fun? I mean, do I bring in Sex Pistols wigs and sunglasses? I mean, do I have that? That would have been interesting. You guys are already fighting. You guys are already fighting. I know. It happens every time. I can't even ask a question. It happens every time. I can't even ask a question. I'm sorry. You know what I mean? I'm sorry. It took 30 seconds for this to happen. It's ridiculous. Gosh. Yeah. Uh-huh. You know what? So we've got the post-game concert. We've got an Elvis impersonator in. You're such a brat. We've got an Elvis impersonator in from Vegas. He's fantastic. And if you come between 5 and 7, you can get your picture taken with Elvis at the gas lamp or home plate entrances. That's cool. We're stoked. The whole weekend's going to be good. That's going to be a lot of fun. And then? Kids are going to think that's fun. Saturday. Yeah. These lovely hats. All fans. Oh, everybody? Everybody gets this hat. I wish I personally didn't look so terrible in a baseball cap. I can't do it because I have a shaved head. But how many people look that good in an Elvis wig? That's true. You can't have everything right. I'm not wearing a wig. I mean, if we look around right now at everybody in here that's got a wig on. It's working great. It's like overnight. That is the most massive hair plug ever.
So I'm just saying that. She's going to kill you, dude. Do you know a sex pistol impersonation band? Yeah. I do, actually. What kind of wig would we wear if we were doing that? Johnny Rotten wig. How would people dress? Like punks? Yeah, what would we do for a menu? Bangers and mash. Look at that. Look at that. He's got it all figured out. Next season, next season. That's right. That's right. Can't wait. We're just going to hire you. But this is fine. But this is okay. Yeah, this will work. This will do. Yeah. This is all right. I mean, fans dressing up, post-game concert, it's okay. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I guess. Hey, listen. You're such a jerk. I'll tell you what's awesome. Burning love beef brisket. That's what's awesome. I actually had a piece of cornbread before I came in here. Was it hot? I think I might actually have a little cornbread in my teeth. Actually, I ate a cold one. Oh, did you? Because I didn't want to take the time to let mine heat so yours could heat. Oh, I appreciate that, but mine's a little tepid. But it's fine. It's fine. It's delicious. I mean, they have to travel here. I know, seriously. Mine is delicious, Jen. It's so good. Mine was warmed perfectly. Really? Yeah. Oh, it's weird. And Mike, what you got to do is take a bite of the brisket, a bite of the baked beans, and a bite of the cornbread all at once. Mix it up. Honey.
That would make me a glutton. That would just make you smart. Listen, the food is fantastic. So good. The Elvis stuff is great. I love the poodle skirts, ladies. They look hot, don't they? Good job. The gentleman and the friar will actually be in full Elvis gear. Is that right? The swinging friar? It is the swinging friar, but he's not always swinging. Okay, take it easy. Can I just hit him, you guys? You guys have it. Our back-to-school set binder, I'm going to beat Eddie with. Wow, I love that. You get that on Sunday. Nice. I love that. That's really cool. Yeah. Tickets, Padres.com, or call 877-FRIER-TIX. Absolutely. Thanks. Cool. Well, you ladies are cool. Thank you for coming in and doing that. I love it when you guys come in, because I always know it's going to be some goofy attire. Yes, it will. And it's going to be good food. You guys always bring some good food. And I always love the mockery. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's fantastic. It really makes you feel welcome, doesn't it? It does. I look to my left. I feel happy. I look to my right. We ruthlessly mock because we care. For Sex Pistol Night, it's going to be cool. It's really going to be something. It's on the docket already. Stop saying that. Put it down. Put it on the board. What? Awesome. Sorry.
Padres win last night? Yeah, they swept the Diamondbacks. Oh, nice. I mean, who was the pitcher we were playing against? Well, it was Randy Johnson. Oh, who was the one the day before? It was Brandon Webb. Might have been Brandon Webb. Yeah. Look at that. Stopped him from winning 20 games. Yeah. Sorry about it. We had Adrian Gonzalez on said 80% of the game mental. And so he said, and that's what he said, 80%. So who knows? Maybe they'll go undefeated. Wait, wait, wait. Until the end of the season. They could. I love that positive attitude right there. They could go undefeated until the end of the season. They could. I don't know why I made Eddie laugh. I mean, I think they could. They could do that. It's very possible. It is possible. That's right. Anything's possible. You got me here in a poodle skirt. That's true. Keep your faith. The girls get so mad. Every time. It's never gone really well, Eddie. You always are mean to them. I'm not mean. I'm not mean. What am I supposed to do, say they're really going to go undefeated? Like, I would have no credibility. Like saying the Chargers are going to go undefeated. That's a possibility, actually. Bronco fan over here. Oh, okay. That's enough out of you, lady. That's enough out of you, lady. I'll see you at Sex Pistol Night. I have more crazy news. Oh, my gosh. We have a lot of crazy news. First of all, Tropical Storm Gustav is getting close to Jamaica.
New Orleans is freaking out. They're on official freakout. Yeah, they are. Yeah, they're actually making. Did they go on the news and say everyone should freak out? Yes, the governor actually issued a statement. He did and said freak out, everyone. Just start freaking out. But basically the deal is with this tropical storm, they expect it to regain strength, turn back into a hurricane by tomorrow, and it could hit anywhere in between Texas and Florida. And so right in the middle between Texas and Florida is Louisiana. And so in New Orleans, they're making preliminary plans to evacuate. So if they need to evacuate, everybody's like already got their bags packed. Everybody's already ready. So they don't have another Katrina. Yeah, that could be bad. Yeah, that's a good idea. Oh, definitely. But I'll tell you, for me, it'd be hard to justify living there. What do you mean? Well, because you know that that is a possibility and it happens. It's not, you know, like here you say, oh, well, you live in California earthquakes.
Well, I've lived here my whole life, and the chances of the big ones happening are, you know, kind of slim. Yeah. I mean, it's definitely livable. That's for sure. And they get, like, a hurricane there, what, like every other year, it seems? Yeah. So, I don't know. It freaks me out. You get that jambalaya, Mike. It's good. Plus, that's where Rennie's from, Eddie, so, you know. I don't know what she's talking about. What up? Big Brother reference. Oh, wow. Thank you very much. Thank you. Love that show. This guy knows who's playing Street Scene. Yeah, so they announced the lineup a while ago. And basically when they announced the lineup, they said these are the bands that are going to be at Street Scene, which is going to be September. Bye, Jen. Jen's leaving. Bye, Jen. Bye, Jen. which is going to be September 19th and the 20th. So they had previously listed all the bands, but at that point they hadn't said who's playing what day, and they also hadn't put the single-day tickets on sale because, of course, you don't want to buy your single-day ticket until you know who's playing what day. So here we go. I heard Lemon Drops and Sandals are going to play on Sunday, so it's like, well, I'm not going to buy Friday-Saturday tickets.
If I'm just going to go Sunday. I didn't even know they were playing. They're playing? Yeah, they're playing Family Day. Well, if Street Scene isn't on Sunday. Lemon Drops and Sandals is playing. Nice. Sunday. One show only, I heard. But Street Scene's only Friday and Saturday, and Lemon Drops and Sandals is a fake band. Dog Day afternoon, wait until the very second encore. Yeah, well, I don't know what the set list looks like, Mike. You're so dumb right now. I'm guessing that's what they'll probably do. You know the crowd, they'll want it. They'll chant it. Right. Dog Day. Dog Day. You get it. You've been to the show before. I've been to the shows. So the bigger names for the Friday show, Vampire Weekend, Cat Power, Spoon, and Beck. You said the big names. Yeah, I did. Those are the recognizable names to me for Friday. List some real bands that are going to be there. And then Saturday, the recognizable names are the Mother Hips, Cold War Kids, the Hives, the National, and the Black Crows. All right. And who will really be there besides the Black Crows? All I heard was Black Crows. Single-day tickets are $65. The two-day passes are $95. You can get all the info at street-c.com. Are you being serious? Dude. Yeah, you want to see the whole lineup? Dude, that's black. I don't like bands. I don't know who they are. Yeah. Shoon Dark Shanks will be there.
Sweat Party is going to be there. Oh, that sounds like an awesome band. Dude, they're awesome. Aren't they? Yep. That's cool. This is no joke, and this is probably going to sell a lot of tickets, but the band Does It Offend You? Yeah? is playing. Of course, yeah. Is it like, does it offend you? Dot, dot, dot. Yeah? Does it offend you? Yeah? Question mark. So I wonder if maybe it's, yeah, does it offend you? You know, first name first or first name last. Oh, okay. Sure. What about Chemical Ali? Is he going to be there at any time? He has to get a day pass from Guantanamo. He's there. You never know. Sky listed these top guys on the FBI's 10 most wanted list one time. And Chemical Ali was the number one, you know, FBI most wanted. And I said, man.
That sounds like a DJ downtown. Yep. Ladies and gentlemen, this weekend, Chemical Ali. He's my fave. Club Stinkery. Stinkery. Chemical Ali. Let's see. Vin Diesel says, two more Riddick movies. Nice. He'll do two more. Love those movies. He's good for two more. Pitch Black, The Chronicles, Riddick, anybody? Yeah. So, yeah, with the same director, writer-director, and Vin Diesel, and what they're trying to figure out right now is if they just want to shoot them separately or if they kind of want to do it Lord of the Rings style where they shoot the two, you know, at the same time. For continuity, they should do that. Yeah, I think that's cool. Because then you know what to expect. You know what you're going to get. Eddie, what's the look? Yeah, what's the problem, bro? I mean, like...
They're not very good movies. Oh, they're great movies. I've never seen it. You're not missing much. Oh, they're great movies. The animated one that bridges the two stories, not my fave. There's an animated one that bridges the two stories? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Not my fave, but the two movies themselves, really good. Awesome. What is the story? Excellent fact. What is the story? Riddick? Yeah, I don't know what it is. Yeah, it's in the future, and Riddick, he's... Vin Diesel's Riddick, right? Oh, Sean likes it? Yeah. Forget it. No way. Yeah. Hey, whoa! Well, Sean, you know you like terrible movies. Yeah. Yeah, so... That's not necessarily true. That's true. That's true. It's 100% true. I'd say 100% true. Yeah. Vin Diesel's Riddick, and he had his eyes shined because he was, like, living in some underground prison so he can, like, see in the dark, and he has to wear these glasses out in the light or his eyeballs will burn, and obviously they end up, like, their spaceship crashes when they're on their way to the prison and aliens and got to protect people. It's pretty cool.
Well, he's one of the last of his race. Oh, that's true. He's a Fury. He's Hispanic, I heard. No, he's not Furry. He's a Furry? He's a Furry. No wonder you like it. He's a Furry. He's a Furry. He dressed as a panda bear and a beaver. This is all coming together. And he would go to conventions and he would take ecstasy and swing around a bunch of... Sean's never taken ecstasy. That is true. Have a pacifier in his mouth. And they would rub up against each other. He would make love to other mascots is what he would like. Mascots? Isn't that what it is? I thought that was a fetish for mascots. It's true. I thought that Sean's got a look right now. It's all true. He's got that look on his face right now like, well, I'll be. And I thought, well, hang on a second. Maybe could you repeat what you just said? Maybe I misunderstood. I was saying. The way that I understood this was that when you were, what was it, flurry, furry, flurry? It's a furry. When he was a furry, the whole idea is, you know, it's a mascot convention. A lot of mascots get together, you know, they take all these wild, you know, sex pills. And they play technotronic music with glow sticks, pacifiers, and they make love. You're 100% correct. 100% correct. Is that right, Sean?
I don't know. Ask my camera. Well, that's what I thought that it was. What did you say? Sean was an owl or a kangaroo? What did you say? No, Sean was not an owl nor a kangaroo. Okay. What was his character? He was a panda bear. Ew. Or? A bee. He dressed as a panda bear and he dressed as a beaver. But mainly the panda. Mainly the panda. Is there a reason why mainly the panda? It's cuter. Got more action. Oh, no. Oh, no. I'm sorry about that comment, Sean. I don't know. That's a legitimate question. Oh, so it was a question. It wasn't a statement. Oh, Sean, don't you turn off your camera. Don't be a jerk. Oh, my gosh, Sean. Come on. How dare you. How dare you, sir? Offer him some bamboo. He'll be back. That's what Panthers eat. Oh, they do. I didn't even know that. Yeah. If I play an 80s song, you think Sean will come back? Duh. Oh. 35253 is our text number. Our phone number is 570-1053. It's always easy to talk to each other and plus the fact that she is gorgeous, you know.
Let the romance begin. Let the romance begin. Tina, what do you think about that? I have a crush on him, too. I think he's beautiful, and I don't know how happy my dad is our boss. Right. So I think he's going to be a little angry. Angry? Is your dad going to be mad for real? Yeah, probably. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. Eddie was next to a urinal at the lead singer of this band. Oh. Next to the lead singer of this band. I get it now. What did you think he was saying? Something way different. Something way different. You're a strange person. Thank you. Rob or this guy is singing? Definitely not Rob. Oh, this guy's wicked bitter, huh? Yeah, yeah.
So bitter. I can't even listen to his music. All the music, all the songs. He didn't have a father growing up. What's really a trip is the music sort of has this upbeat sort of, you know, vibe. Like when you start to listen to it, like listen to the, whatever that is in the background, that piano, chords, keyboards, yeah, whatever that is. It's like real, like, kind of like uplifting and like, you know. Good melody. You kind of want to groove to it. But listen to the lyrics, dude. There's a couple of guys that I know. And usually it's guys that have had it rough. Rob's had it rough. Yeah. Well, it's always guys that have had it rough. And there will be a couple of songs or a couple of bands or a couple of singers that they can't stand. And that's the reason they can't stand them. Because they're like, ah, quit your whining already. How do you feel about Aaron Lewis? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's another one. Oh. You get mad? No, no, no. When he first came out, I was totally on his wavelength. And now it's like, dude, like that new Believe in Me song. Enough, guy. You got a lot of money. No one needs to believe in you. You done it. You did it, man. Like, good to you. Guess what? That cloud of rain isn't following you no more. Like, dude, you come home to a pretty nice house. You can afford an umbrella. Yeah.
Thank you. That was genius. Yeah. I mean, if it's always raining in his head, like, get a shrink or something, right? God. I come home to Hot Pockets every day. Oh. That's what I have to look forward to. You got Hot Pockets now? Lean Pockets. Oh, yeah. Lean Pockets. For the girls. Let's be honest. Yeah. And a dog that doesn't like me. Maybe I should write a song like this. You should. When this first came out, it was kind of novel. Wow, a guy's really being very honest about how he feels. But now it's been four albums. Do you remember? It's been more than that. Do you remember how in love with this song you were? Because this was before you went through treatment and you felt... This is how I felt. It's amazing to know you now and to feel like this was a song you related with the most. Every word. Every word. In one way or another, this song is what drew me to Christ. In one way or another. Because I related every word of this song. And I remember at the time, I couldn't work out. How that was ever going to go away. I talked to Sean out in front of the radio station one time. I was smoking a cigarette out there talking to Sean. And I said to Sean, I honestly, I don't think that this is ever going away. And Sean goes, dude, I'm telling you, there will be a day where this will all be over. And this, I related every word in the song. But I also see where Rob's coming from. It's four albums now, you know. There's one band that no matter what, they can make.
That kind of, like, sympathy, like, apathetic song would be awesome and uplifting, and that's the Foo Fighters. Now, we have to discuss the word apathetic. I think it's time. I think it's time. Listen, I've been waiting to do this for years. I've been waiting to do this for many years. But I think it's finally time to talk about the word apathetic. Just for future reference, I think it might be time, Rob. A little FYI here. Apathetic. TFN. Okay. I wrote TFN to Rob the other day in an email, and he thought that that stood for thanks for nothing. I thought you were trying to be too cool for school. Maybe this is something that Jake was texting someone in the new wave. Yeah, my son's not even two. Jake's not even two, so why would he? I'm not texting anyone. Apathetic means, yeah, I don't really care. I'm just apathy.
That's what I meant it as. He knows, Mike. He's well aware. But, Rob, you said, you know. It's uplifting. You know, you were putting it in terms of like. No, no, no. No, no, no. I meant apathetic, like it can take a sad song. Like Foo Fighters don't care? The Foo Fighters, listen to the lyrics, dude. That guy's been through the ringer a few times. But he makes it seem like it's the best thing in the world. I know what I meant. Not apathy. Yeah, apathy, dude. Not apathy, period. Times Like These is the name of the song. Let me listen to the lyrics. Dave Grohl writes sad stuff. Absolutely. Yeah, my favorite ones are the sad ones. That sounds very uplifting. That sounds kind of optimistic. Apathetic. No, no, no. Well, apathetic means he doesn't care. Yeah, I know what it means. But wait a minute, Boston Rob. Apathetic means I don't care. I understand.
But you used apathy. I know what I said, Mike. You're being very apathetic right now. But apathy, forget it. What would you rather me say? Atrophy? I do not want you to say atrophy. That would really not make sense. I feel very atrophied right now. You're getting colder. You're getting further away. Well said. My two favorite songs by the Foo Fighters I know we don't even have. the system. No. My first favorite is MIA. You guys ever heard that? Nope. I don't think so. No. And my second favorite is Aurora. Aurora. And I bet we don't have either one. We have Aurora. We better have Aurora. Oh, wow. Stop screaming. Wow. We have Aurora. That's the best one. Top row, third in. Hey, guys. The girl man comes through again. Wait, Sean. I love this one. You don't need to call him a girl man. So good. Well, the tears. Oh.
These lyrics are not uplifting. Hey, Rob, you like the Foo Fighters, though, right? They don't have one song that I dislike. Really? They're great. I love the Foo Fighters. Let's see. Here is some of the text messages that we're getting. We're even getting text messages from P1 Instigator, who is in studio with us today. That's weird. That's just weird. I think that's a level of commitment that we haven't seen in a long time. It's incredible. I think that's respectful, and I think it's... I like it. I'm sure Sean appreciates that. I kind of like it. This text message from P1 Instigator says, Mikey, a second Riddick movie is like a second Kazam. I don't know that I'd go that far. It would be the third. It would be the third, Jerky. The third Kazam. Open your ears. Yeah, pay attention, bro.
Technically, he's right. The first movie's called Pitch Black, and then the second one was Riddick. It's about Riddick. I mean, Riddick is the star of Pitch Black. You have a point. Horrible movie. There's no points. Mikey, we need Wally World at Street Scene. That's P1 Rich. Oh, that'd be so dynamite. Couldn't agree more. And cool goes to dynamite. That's right. That's right, it does. Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards are on probation for the next six weeks. So check this out. You know, remember how we heard them kind of talking smack back and forth towards each other? Yeah. Well, you know, the deal was that I guess Carl Edwards kind of bumped him in the race and passed him. Yeah. And Kyle Busch didn't like that. Right. Well, apparently after the race, I didn't read about this until I just heard about the suspension. I guess Kyle Busch was so mad. He went and after the race is over, went and slammed into Carl Edwards. And then Carl Edwards retaliated and spun him out.
Oh, wow. And so NASCAR's like, hey, guys, you can't be doing, you're in, you know, vehicles. Yeah, so they're on probation and they can't be goofing around for six weeks. Helix High School student that was, or the Helix High School teacher that was accused of sex with a student. One of them. One of them. One of the handful, yeah. There's a handful of them? Yeah, sorry, I got like a frog in my throat. But yeah, yeah, there was a handful of them that. It was the usage of the terminology. Frog hands and a frog throat. The frog hands have actually gotten better. Yeah, it's amazing. I don't know what I've been doing different. I'm very happy for you. Yeah, I'm happy too. But anyways, yeah, there was a couple different Helix High teachers over the last year or so who got in trouble for allegedly having sexual relationships with students. But this one was the geography teacher who was also the girl's soccer coach who had sex with a 17-year-old female student at a hotel. So he was sentenced yesterday to probation.
and 365 days in custody a year, but he will not have to register as a sex offender, which I find interesting, but okay. And the judge also told him that if he has a job, if he's employed, because he's no longer working for Helix High, that he could do his time in a work furlough program instead of actually being in prison. Wow. Let's see. I didn't know about this, but apparently... The Guns N' Roses tracks from, I'm guessing, Chinese Democracy? Yep. The album that's been, we've been waiting for Chinese Democracy to come out for 29 years or something. And somebody leaked it on the internet, which I didn't even know. Like, people wanted that? Yeah, it was crazy. This happened in June, and we don't know exactly how this guy got his hands on the stuff, but he did used to work for Universal Music for a while, so probably somehow.
through them but he got the tracks he posted them on a website the word got out that the tracks were on this website and the website crashed because so many people went to it to try and get these uh guns and roses tracks so uh they showed up yesterday at his home in los angeles and arrested him on suspicion of violating federal copyright laws yeah that's if you get in trouble for it it's bad Yeah, and I guess actually after they were posted and the website crashed and everything, he actually got a call from what he says, quote, was a really cool guy from the GNR camp, and that that guy was the middleman between someone who was very angry at him. They had a conversation, and the guy took the tracks down, but now arrested. Whoa. Yep. So what do you think of this email? And if you want to call us, go ahead at 570-1053 when you hear this email or text. 3-5-2-5-3. Mikey, I know your son Jake isn't quite old enough to be getting into things, but eventually he will. Last night we had a little incident with my five-year-old. He decided he wanted to flush things down the toilet. Oh, no. Well, a bunch of things apparently got flushed. Oh, no. But he tried to flush a ton of toilet paper down, and of course he didn't make it. But it made enough to flood the bathroom floor. Oh.
It even ran into the hallway carpet. Caused some major damage. I'm going to have to replace the flooring in the bathroom and probably have to pull up the carpet. It's going to cost quite a bit of money. I hope you have a lot of patience, Mikey, because parenting is a lot of fun sometimes. It's P1 Smalls. Wow. And it just got us to thinking, man, like the stuff we did and like have your kids done stuff like this? Did you do stuff like this? It happens. Yeah. The real bad stuff, my dad didn't even know about until, well, he didn't know it was me until I was much older. Like, I burnt that back fence down. Yeah. Playing with matches. And, you know, he thought it was a crazy arsonist. That's right. Eddie, did you do anything? I didn't really. My sister did. She got mad at my parents after a big argument.
and had a waterbed at the time and broke some glass in her room and took a piece of the glass and popped the waterbed and it flooded her entire room and everywhere. Unreal. So, like, that was crazy. I still don't know how mad my dad was. Ashley? I know you've done stuff. She's got to go to a Word document. Absolutely. But I got to say, like, none of it was ever intentional. Like, I would never... go and be like, take that dad and ruin his clothes. That never happened, but all the time. One time, I'll never forget, I was 11 years old, and I used to be really into producing and making commercials and little videos and TV shows with my friends. Rob, too. He was a rap star. I didn't know it. And so I was directing me and my friend and I was acting in a got milk commercial. And I was using some of my mom's fine glass, like $100 per glass. These like wine glasses to put the milk in because you want to make it look classy. Hello, it's commercial. And broke it in the midst of like acting, you know, in one of the takes. Once a year.
When you want more wine, you want more wine. Eddie breaks a very expensive glass of wine once per year. It happens all the time. Accident. Thank you. I can relate. And I felt so bad because it was like $100 glass, you know. Did you know it was real expensive when you did it? No, I had no idea. You just thought it was glass. So did you go, hey, I broke glass. Just wanted to let you know. And they were like, hey. No, I just threw it away and thought my mom wouldn't notice. And then my mom comes to me and goes, there were eight, now there's seven. And then Mommy got in trouble. Yeah, Mommy got in trouble. This Mommy got in trouble. Right here. P1 Clay? Clay, are you there? Yeah, good morning. What did your son do? My son was like two, maybe two and a half. He flushed my wallet down the toilet. I think it had about $250 or $300 cash in it. No! Oh, my God.
That would blow. Good luck. Yeah. Good luck, my friend. Being a father is kind of a challenge, but you know what makes up for it is yesterday he rode his bicycle without turning wheels for the first time ever. That's cool. That's cool. That's cool. I'll tell you what else makes up for it. This is just kind of a little bit of a side note. We got a lot of calls coming in, so I don't want to break from it too much, but this will make up for some stuff. Eddie? We're going to listen to your future. Cut 37. Explaining Star Wars. Three. And Obi Kenobi's kind of a teacher. He keeps saying Luke. How to learn how to do his little light-up sword. He used to try to block the little Pokeball. He tried to do it without seeing ears. Just lay a ground.
That is the cutest thing. That's pretty cute. Yeah, but you've got to explain to her the correct terminology. Yeah, she didn't have the light up swords. Yeah, that's incorrect. Didn't have that wrong. They're lightsabers, as Skye said. Right, Skye? Princess Leia wasn't in jail. It was a detention center. She's a child. Anyway. Skye, didn't you call it a... Wait a minute. Skye, it was either you or my wife called it a lifesaver. That's what I used to think they were called. A lifesaver? Yeah, Ashley called them that. A lifesaver. It's the opposite. P1 Fred. Hey, good morning, y'all. What's going on? Well, I was calling because my son, he did the same thing with our restroom. He put a, you know, toilet paper in there, didn't flush. Well, it flooded the restroom, but our restroom that he flooded was upstairs. Oh, no. Oh, no. That's bad. That's bad. Yeah, and we just had our house for only a week after we purchased it. We had crown molding on the bottom stairs. Oh, that's bad. And what can you do? You can't get mad at them. You can't get mad. Oh, of course not. But you want to. Yeah. I have to imagine.
Dropkicking. My mother-in-law. No, Eddie. No dropkicking. When my mother-in-law was a kid, her dad got a brand new car. And they had, instead of grass, they had those white rocks. Oh, yeah. And she thought it was chalk. And the car was black. Don't say it. Mike, no. The car was black. They had those little white rocks, you know. Oh, my gosh. But she was like three, four years old. And so she thought it was chalk. So she was drawing pictures. On the car. Oh, my gosh. With the chalk that was actually rock, and it was just... Oh, no. I mean, 50 billion times worse than keying a car. It was rocks. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it wasn't really doing what chalk's supposed to, so she was... Okay, you're making it worse. Living it in there, trying to get the chalk to work, you know? No. I did something very similar. I was 13 or 14. My parents got a new car, and... Apparently, in 1983, having a blue Buick was super cool. And so they had a blue Buick. And I wanted to do something really sweet for my mom. So I decided I was going to wash it and wax it in the sun. And it was about 100 degrees out in Gilroy. And you can't wax a car in the sun. This is a very important fact. Do not wax a car in bright, hot.
What happens if you do? Well, the wax basically leaves gigantic white circular marks all over the car that don't come off. No! The wax will come off. But the white streaks and the whole car. Because I wasn't even smart enough at 13, 14 to know you just do small patches. Right, right. You know, at a time. I did the whole car. And then when I rubbed it, dude, you got, I can't even tell you what happened. You know when your heart goes into your stomach? When I wiped that and it just was white, circular, I was like, oh, no, no, no, no. Oh, it was bad. Let's see. Mikey, my aunt lost her wedding ring after her three-year-old flushed it down the toilet. Toilet's a big thing. Yeah, kids love to watch things go down that bowl. They do. And burn. Oh, yeah, kids like to burn things too. Burn and flush. Yeah, that's fun. Mikey, when I was younger, I wanted to slip and slide really bad. But my mom wouldn't buy us one. So I did the next best thing. Grabbed a bunch of oil from the garage.
poured it on the kitchen linoleum and slid around. Well, you know what? Serves you right, mom. Dude. I want you to imagine walking in your kitchen and smelling the smell of petroleum oil and seeing that amber oil smeared all over your linoleum. Crazy. Not to mention, I'm sure when your kid's done, they somehow are able to Get all their clothes off and not track that. Yeah, on their feet. Oh, dude, you guys had to have tracked stuff in your house. Oh, yeah. I mean, that was bad, too. Always that. Kids have no concept of what's on their feet. And what I used to love was I was so afraid of lying because my dad gave it to me real bad one time for lying. But some friends of mine would lie a lot.
They what always cracked me up is when kids will lie, even though it's like clearly five year old bare feet prints. Right. Yeah. Sean, tell that story. Which one? The one about the you burning the. Oh, in the front room. Yes. Well, you know, I when I was a kid, I really liked action figures. And so I had these action figures called Adventure People. And they were just outdoorsy. One guy was a scuba guy. One guy was a park ranger. One guy was whatever. And so I thought it would be great for all these adventure people to have a bonfire. That sounds like fun. That sounds great. That's an adventure. Really good times. Yeah, so I went outside and I got a brick. And I brought it into the front room and put it down in the middle. In the middle of the room. Tore up some newspaper. Put it on the brick. You know, because I want to be safe. Yeah, yeah. Well, you're not stupid. You're not irresponsible. I don't want to burn anything. You messed up, dude. I put all the venture people around. Got a match. Lid it up. Watched it burn. Oh, some of the venture people are melting.
Move that, move that. Okay, it should be all right now. And I'll just sit here and watch it burn. And when it was all done, I cleaned up the ashes. I picked up the brick. And underneath the brick, the carpet had melted black. It was a big, black, solid, melted mass. And so I do the same thing. No, no, no, no. And so I run, I get like dishwashing detergent and, you know. That'll do it. The cure is melting. Windex. And I'm scrubbing, I'm scrubbing, I'm scrubbing, I'm spraying, I'm spraying. And it is not coming up, man. Spray and wash. Did you try spraying? Shout it out. Did you try to shout it out? Well, I shouted, I know that. But I do remember getting a butter knife and trying to, like, pry it up with a butter knife. Oh, what the hell? Which was really, really stupid. So what I did was I had a stool in my room, a little Mickey Mouse stool. So I took the stool and I put it over the burn mark in the front room. And when my mom came home, I laid down on the ground, put my arm up, rested it on the little Mickey Mouse stool. And I said, hey. What's going on, lady? What's going on? What are you doing there?
watching TV. That was in trouble. So are you going to do that for the rest of your life? Yeah. We are getting some calls, man. I can't wait. 570-1053-35253. Oh. To improve mileage, come by Chevron and fill up with air. That's right, air. When was the last time you checked the air pressure in your tires?
Can't remember? Then it's definitely been too long. Did you know even tires in good shape can lose about one pound of pressure a month? And underinflated tires make your engine work harder, lowering your mileage. But don't overinflate them. You can usually find the recommended tire pressure on a sticker located on the driver's side door jamb. And speaking of air, air conditioning is not so hot for your car's mileage either. Whenever you turn it on, it puts an added strain on your engine. Now, at highway speeds, it's probably better to use the A.C. rather than roll down the windows because of the aerodynamics. But around town, enjoy the fresh air. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. Some text messages that we're getting at 35253 about the topic of doing something pretty whacked out when you were a kid that was destructive or your kid has done something that has ruined something. Mikey, when my husband was five, he thought it'd be a good idea to fill up his mom's brand new gas tank with the garden hose. Instigator, I think, is, well, maybe, I don't know which is better, but Instigator told me during the break when he was a kid, he thought it would be neat to turn his car into a pool. And so rolled up all the windows, stuck the hose inside. His car or his parents? Stuck the hose inside, closed the door, and filled that sucker up. Sweet.
Oh, my. Aquamobile. Awesome. Do you remember what kind of car it was, Instigator? Did you say it was like a minivan? It was one of those old minivans that had the wood paneling on. You want to make it nonstick, right? Yeah, you don't want the cat to stick. Cat's a good touch. He also sprayed the inside of the VCR. Yes, the cat was like kind of his calling card, so to speak. That's his thing. Like he always finishes the job with a cat. Gotta leave on a high note. Yeah. It's a signature. It's a signature. Like, he'll spray random things, but you gotta finish. Find that cat. With a cat. Bear noodles. Yeah. Noodles. That's in his noodles. Mikey, my daughter tried to flush our cat, but it didn't go down. That's P1, man. That sucks. I wish I would have. My boyfriend did that with some kittens when he was five. I think that that's a... strange mind. I think that that... Him and his sister wanted to see if they could swim or what would happen and took a litter of kittens and flushed them down the toilet. Something weird about that, Ash. Did they go... They didn't go down, did they?
He says he doesn't remember. I think he either said that a couple did or he doesn't remember. Oh, my gosh. Or he doesn't remember. I need to go home. Yeah, Skye. That really, really upset Skye. That's probably a private story. Yeah, that's a story that you probably. She made it up for the radio. Yeah. It's pretty whack, huh? Ashley was just trying to be a shotgun. No, my boyfriend really didn't. Hey, Howard, do me a favor. Listen. Both of them together. She's just joking. She's joking, Skye. And his infant brother. They wanted to see if they could swim. Like they genuinely didn't know that it would hurt him. It's okay. It's all right. She's kidding. Mikey, I once caught my socks on fire in the microwave. Nice. I saw someone warm up their socks like that on TV. See, there you go. That's television. That's a whole other thing. That's a whole other thing. That's right. You can't do stuff you see on TV. You shouldn't. You shouldn't. Here are some phone calls. P1 Drizzle. Hey, what's up, guys? What's up, dude? I have two things. When me and my little brother, I was like nine years old and he was eight. My parents had some friends over. And after we got done with dinner, me and my brother thought it was a good idea to go play golf on the front lawn.
My brother takes the swing and lets go of the golf club. And we just see the golf club flying through the air and goes right through my parents' friend Mercedes Benz. Golf club flies out of a child's hand. It's not going to land in a good place. I just remember walking into our house and my mom's face was priceless. Like, what'd you do this time? Thank you. P1Z. Yo, Mike. Yo, what's going on, man? Hey, it's Z. Z, how are you? Good, good. How are you guys doing tonight? Good, good. Very good. Good. Well, the story goes, when we were growing up, we didn't really have that much money. So my family, you know, we were all stoked because we got the new family car and everything. You know, my dad brought it home and all that. One of the things we wanted to get was window tinting, but we couldn't afford it.
My friends and I, we used to skate. We had just finished building this skate ramp, so we had some leftover paint, like black paint. So I thought, well, hey, man, I'll just dilute some paint. It would be like the same thing. My dad and my mom would be stoked. But I don't know. I did that at night, and I remember the next day, my dad got up to go to work. He was running a little late. He ran back in the house, and he's like, see? I'm like, oh, my gosh, what, dude? He's like, what did you do to my car? I was like, no, we can afford paint. You know, I'm trying to hook you up. Right. Well, first of all, he was irritated. First of all, he was irritated you called him dude. Yeah. And then. Then he wanted to know, why did you do that? Dude, you could have started a whole, like, instead of a lemonade stand, like a tinting stand. Oh, yeah. Awesome. A tinting stand. I wasn't really thinking straight, man. You know what I mean? I think I was, like, around 10. I was wasted. Yeah. All right. Thank you for the call. P1 Nick. Yeah, so I must have been five years old, and my old man took me to work with him.
And he's busy doing his thing, and I'm just kind of playing around. And I asked him, hey, Dad, can I draw a road? And he doesn't even look up. You know, he's busy with his paperwork. He goes, what, a road? Yeah, sure, draw a road. Go ahead. So, you know, okay. I take out the permanent marker and take it to the carpet and pretty much drew an interstate from the door all the way to his desk. By the time I got to his desk, he looked at what I'd done, and he's going to be mad because I asked him for permission and he told me to. Yep, listen when your kids talk to you. I'm telling you, man. Awesome! All right, dude, thank you. Thanks. All right, we'll see you. 570-1053 is the phone number. Tomorrow's a big day for us. I'm so excited. Ladies and gentlemen, tomorrow... The Mikey Show will be broadcasting from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, which, by the way, I need to get directions to. I was just thinking the same thing. No clue where that place is. Don't have a clue how to get there. Mapface it. I'll go on the mapface or whatever. Oh, yeah. Direction space. Yeah. But tomorrow, Eddie and Boston Rob are going to be competing in three Olympic events.
They will be doing Greco-Roman wrestling. They will be doing archery. And the 100-meter dash. The 100-meter dash. Usain Bolt. That's right, dude. He's right here. No, I don't. You're looking at him. I'm not looking at him. Are you looking this way? Yes, I'm looking directly at you. I think it's going to be great. I think it's going to be great. And they have been training. And getting all of their, you know... They have been training? Are we supposed to be training? Hello, yeah. You guys haven't... I thought you'd be training the whole time. Nobody told us to train. I went from Marvel Reds to Marvel Lights. Oh, that's not the training I thought that you had gone through. I thought that you had actually been practicing is what I meant by training. Okay. Maybe not. Well, that might make it even better. I had to run to the toilet the other night. That's gross. Yeah, yeah.
It's only like 100 feet. It's not 100 meters. I was quick. I had to go bad. I don't need details. I'm good. No, no, no. Maybe I'll do that. Get some Taco Bell before I race. You should have Taco Bell before Greco-Roman wrestling. Two points. One point. Okay, too many points. Game over. It's got a little on you, Rob. Sorry. All right. He laughs. 570. I'm going to tell. 570-1053. Yeah, we'll be doing the whole show out there, so come out there at 6 o'clock in the morning. It's going to be awesome. 570-1053 is the phone number, and our text number is 35253.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to take this time out to end the speculation of me calling in, you know, doing different personalities and different on-air voices and things like that. Uh-huh. I'd like to end it by saying, hell to the yeah, that's me. Of course it is. Of course it is. Y'all know how I tootsie roll, keeping it fresh like Mikey's veggies, know what I'm saying? Thank you. Thank you. I got to keep it new, homeboy. And I got to tell you something else. Hey, buff midgets, hey, you know what's up, know what I'm saying? That's right. I don't know what's up, actually. I don't know what's up. But that's all right. You know what's up. Hey, anyways, I got to tell you too, man. I want to tell all the P1s. Know what I'm saying? I hope all y'all go on P1site.com and check out the message that I posted up. The topic is... Yeah, boy. I feel you, Ale. Hey, Eddie. What's up? Big E-double-D-I-E. All right, we roll home, boy. Straight to the yes. Hey, I'm out. Two fingers, spread them apart. Y'all have a good one. That's my boy. What just happened? Best call ever. I don't know. I don't know.
I don't know what any of that meant. I think I blacked out or something. Oh, you're racist. Oh, Scott, that is so racist. That is not what I meant. That is not what I meant. That is not what I meant. We have African-Americans in the studio. That is not even close to us. Oh, I think I just browned out right there. I meant like past that. Oh, really? Why are you blushing? Thank you. And thank you. And thank you. We know why. P1 Panda Slews is on the line. Oh, great. Legitimate question. Oh, legitimate question. What time are all the events starting tomorrow with Eddie and B-Rob? Oh, that's not a legitimate question. That's actually a real question. A real question. Yeah, what time? Seven. I would guess that the events will kick off at seven. Cool. But the entire show is going to be broadcast, and anybody's welcome to come out. Nice. Yeah, I'll be there for sure. Right on. Thank you, Panda Slews. Thank you, guys. Bye. You got it. P1 Suburban Cowboy. Hey, Mikey. What's happening? What's up? Not much. So I just wanted to say thank you guys for the recommendation for Divine Possibilities. I finally had them for the first time last night. They were awesome. It's double. And a half, man. Did you tell them you were a P1? I thought of that before these guys. Tell them you were a P1?
Oh, of course I did. Yeah, you get 10% off if you do. Oh, yeah, actually. Well, they were down at the OB Farmer's Market. Yeah. So it was just $5 for a hero. Wow. You know, we didn't get any, we didn't get 10% off, but it wasn't a big deal. It was $5 for dinner. That's nice. That sounds like a deal to me, you know. Yeah, that's pretty good. Right on, dude. Well, I appreciate you calling. Absolutely. Take it easy, guys. All right, we'll see you. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. Hey, what's up, guys? What's up? It's P1 Drizzle again. What's up, Drizzle? Hey, hey, hey. Oh, man, I worked at Black Angus in Mesa. Oh, great. So racist. I can't believe that. How many of these comments today? Mike, it's a restaurant. It's like a steakhouse. I had a table, and the lady and the girl, it was a couple, and the lady orders peanut Noir. Peanut Noir!
