Host Mikey opened the show noting the government’s $85 billion bailout of AIG (P0) and later described the intense 28‑hour show planning meeting where Eddie filled a typewriter missing a G with 50 ideas (P1). Eddie’s deep Star Wars knowledge surfaced in his claim of seeing the original trilogy 500 times (P3) and in a caller debate about the prequels (P12), while Sky described her backyard fountain that acts as a bug trap (P4). The show also featured a segment on the upcoming 28‑hour commercial‑free broadcast (P16), a bizarre story about a Florida nickel spill worth $1,000 (P21), the Lyrical Gangsta game and Ashley’s chicken‑nugget eating contest (P22), and a discussion of the Street Scene lineup after Black Crows canceled (P31). Finally, a warning about a San Diego supermarket pickpocket who targets wallets in the frozen food section was detailed (P38).

turn the microphone on, a console here that potentially controls the entire radio station, that mouse. Yeah, sure. And so I grabbed the little, because it's not optical, it's not a wireless mouse, you know. So I grabbed the little cord and started to pull it up and it's, you know, tangled all up in other cords and phone stuff. And the thought occurred to me in my head, this, is a professional broadcast studio. It is 6-0-4. The government announced yesterday that they're going to step in and bail out insurance company AIG with an $85 billion loan. Well, you got to give them credit. The Padres have one guy that's still playing. Adrian Gonzalez hits another two-run home run, but that was it. The Rockies crushed the Padres 10-3. Poor Adrian's doing everything he can do. I mean, that guy is unbelievable.
He's going out there and giving it his best shot. That's all they got. Yeah. That's all they got. It's brutal. But I'll tell you what. It's Wednesday. We got you calling in right now. We got a lot of stuff to look forward to on the show. We got a big show. And I will tell you that we had the best 28-hour show meeting yesterday I think that we've ever had. It was really incredible. It was awesome. I got home and I said to my wife, I think that the guys threw about 50. By guys, I mean guys and gals. Thank you. I said, I think about 50 ideas were thrown out there. I said, Eddie had two pages of stuff written down on a piece of paper. Typed. I'm very professional. The weird thing was it was a typewriter, which I don't know where he got that. That's how I like to work. I don't know. It was an old crown typewriter. Yeah, it was awesome. It's missing a G, which is kind of a bummer sometimes. You understand. I put the Q in there. It's buns and roses. Just treat them as silent. I guess that's just the way it has to be sometimes.
570-1053 is our phone number. Text us at 35253 and let us know what's going on, what's happening in your world. Did you see something on TV? Do you have a question? Would you like to make a comment? Do you have any kind of question about the 28-hour broadcast October 8th? Anything. It's open forum, so you can call in about anything you want. You got a joke, you got whatever. 570-1053 is the number. Introductions. There are seven of us. I'll introduce us real quickly. I'm the host of the show. My name is Mikey. And today I am clean shaven. Clean shaven today. Shave the face and the dome. Congratulations. That's right. Very attractive. Thank you. Thank you very much. Lady said to my brother and I on an escalator, She said, are you guys twins? You know, because we both have our heads shaved and a goatee. You and Steve-O? Me and Steve-O. And Steve goes, never met this guy. And she was an older lady, and she goes, you guys have bald heads. How do you do that? How do you do that? That was cute. She said, I've always wanted to know, but I've never been able to.
To ask. And at about this point, we got to the bottom of the escalator. All right. So now the decision needs to be made. How much time are we going to spend here? Yeah. Letting her know. And so I said, oh, it's really easy. You just use a razor, like a regular razor, to shave your face. But how? How do you do it? Do you put the shaving cream? I thought, well, we've got to wrap this one up. You should have just said, oh, we just use Nair. Yeah, I should have said she would have understood. She said magic. That's right. The best answer would have been chemo, but... Well, no, that would have been... I don't agree with that. No, no, Sean. No. Well, so there you go. Now you know something about me. My head is shaved. Eddie is our producer and our sports guy. And he is just in love with the Star Wars movies. He has seen them all multiple times. In fact, if you were to take every one of the movies... and add up the number of times that he has seen them all put together, it would be a very, very large number. Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars, Return of the Jedi, you add them all up. Probably haven't seen the other ones that much, right? No, I have. If it's on. You've even seen the Phantom Menace and even all those? I try to avoid it, but I have seen it a lot. Clone Wars, all that stuff.
I would say the number of the original three probably approaches 500 times. Wow. Easy. That's crazy. That is nuts. When you have perfection on your hands, Mike, I think that you should honor it with your eyes. I mean, it's truly lovers. Lovers. Lovers. All right, then. Last night online. My wife and I were browsing Halloween costumes for Jake. And Chewbacca was far and away the cutest, funniest thing I'd ever seen in my life. It is so stinking cute, man. I couldn't even take it. Skye is our news girl. She's 30. Got a working fountain at her house now. Bought it in Mexico. It's a bug trap. Oh, it's a bug trap. Oh, good. West Nile. Oh, yeah. West Nile, here I come. That's awesome. Yeah. What do you mean it's a bug trap? What does that mean? The bugs, I believe they think it's a graveyard. Uh-oh. And they like to go there to die. Oh, wow. So basically every day when I go out there, it is full of a variety of flies, mosquitoes, bees, wasps. You name it. They're in there swimming. Really? Yeah.
Or sinking. I wonder if it will be just a matter of time and they'll tell their friends don't go in there. Maybe. Don't go in the pool. They should learn. They don't swim well. Yeah. Let's see. Shawnee, your boy, is our sound effects man. Hi. He's 38 years of age and he's very tall. Yeah, that's a fact. He's a tall man. Some would say strapping. Yeah, strapping. Oh, yeah. Some have said that. Some would say. I don't know. Very few. It has very short salt and pepper hair and a salt and pepper goatee. It's getting a little... I can't... I don't have them up on my screen. Load mic up. Somebody load mic up. Somebody get me all ready to go here. Load them up. Tell odors. Tell odors. Is there an issue? You know what's up. I don't actually. Little mad scientist-like. I don't know. Mad scientist. I want to see the mad scientist. There's no mad scientist. A little bit of the activator in there. You get Shawnee, old boy, up on my screen. He's getting a little fro-like. He's got some activator going on? He needs to. Oh, no. Maybe, maybe. What could this mean? It's time. It doesn't mean anything. It's time for the flowbie. The flowbie. Well, yeah. I don't know. We're getting close. It's not pretty short. No. Sean's after his neighbors. The Vietnamese neighbors. Oh, good. Get him. Again? He's after it again. What?
I'm going to nail that dude. Nail him to the wall this time. Calm down, Will. Oh, there's Sean. Let's just take it down a notch. It's normal. Eddie's 100% right. Yeah. Oh, boy. There's a mad scientist going on. What's that guy doing with his beakers? His laboratory. His beakers. Right? That guy mixing up protons and stuff. A little bit of purple. A little bit of green. Boom. What have we got? I don't think so. I don't think so. Yeah, what's happening in that thing? I don't even mess with that stuff. Yeah, you do. You always got those gloves on. Right, we know. Goggles. Big, long, plastic wand mixing stuff up and little containers. Cylinders. Cylinders. Definitely. Ashley is our assistant producer. And those bangs are rocking today, man. They're on one, huh? Yeah, they're on one. They're on one. I'm not sure what that means. I don't know what that means at all. It's a good day. I instantly like that. I love it. You instantly got it, which I appreciated. Which I really appreciated. I like her bass. I think that that will be my new thing when somebody says, hey, dude, that's a nice shirt. Yeah, I know it's on one, huh? Ashley is 25 years old.
And she has a boyfriend named Mark. Oh, my gosh, Mark. I love you so much. That's right. That's right. She does a lot of behind-the-scenes work, and she does a lot of little segments here on the air. You will hear her voice a lot. Boston Robb. Yes. Yeah, there he is. Oh, there's the kid. Eddie, what's going on? Are you excited because he's got a caffeinated drink, and you've got a caffeinated drink? We're going to be crazy today. Yeah. Hey, Rob, I didn't know you were everybody. You're either a sweet and low equal or Splenda guy. I'm sweet and low all the way. Really? Wicked bad. And you've tried Splenda? Wicked bad. Wicked bad. I believe I have because the way we get sugar at my house is we go to Starbucks and steal it. You steal it. Yeah. No. It's not stealing. Borrow. We'll get a coffee and sometimes we bring home extra.
I've tried it, and yeah. Sweet and low. Plus, the name's just cooler. Sweet and low, huh? Yeah, there you go. Say you sweet and low. I'm equal. He's on one today. That's right. His hair is definitely on one today. That's right. It's rocking. Helmet over here. Right? What is that thing? And then there is Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Jr., Esquire, M.D. DDS, Inc., dot com, CEO. Oh, man. Oh, man. Wow. And that's who he is. So important. That's right, yeah. He's really got a title. You should see his business card. It's actually a sandwich board. It's crazy. So, 570-1053, call us. Come on. Call us and say hi. Our phone lines are actually lit up. What am I complaining about? P1 Velvet, what's up? Good morning, guys. How are you? Good morning. I just wanted to ask you guys, are you guys going to be recording the 28-hour show so we can go get it somewhere? Oh, oh, oh. You mean to be available to people? Yes. We've never done that before. It's kind of tough because in order to have 28 hours available to people, like on a CD or something like that, it would be a lot of CDs.
I mean, imagine trying to, it'd be 28 CDs because you put about an hour's worth of material onto a disc. It's not the most practical thing to do. It would be well worth it, though, because all the P1s would go crazy. Oh, I know that they, I know they would, but it's like, I've never heard of any, you know, how do you package, how do you package a 28 CD set? And how do you, you know, it would be expensive just to produce. I mean, it'd be gnarly. That would make it easier and just record everything that you guys do. You know what? I think that a solution to this may be that a lot of this stuff will be streamed online and there may be a way to just go and watch various hours online. Yeah, we can do that. Because we're staying home to listen to everything and all that good stuff. We're taking the two days off. Right on. Cool. Right on. Awesome! and everything that we need to stay awake, so we're good. There you go. Ready to go. Also, Skye, if you put vinegar in your water fountain, it will keep the bugs away because they hate to smell all that stuff. Does it, like, make your yard weak? No, it will. It's in the water, so it won't bother you or the neighbors or anything like that. You don't get, like, hate to smell. You put a little oil in there. You got a wonderful dressing. Oh. Balsamic. Yeah, for sure. I heard if you let a dog do their business in it, it keeps everything away. Well, I have not.
Matt heard that, actually. Yeah, that's for sunburns. No, you put it in the water to keep it away. All right, well, cool. Thank you very much. You're welcome. Appreciate that. Yeah, throw some bib lettuce in there. Some tomatoes. Mix it up. Yeah, I'm out of tomatoes, by the way. I got you. This is what I have right now. My boyfriend was one of me asking you about it. You be quiet. No, because Mike said, at the dinner at Harrah's, remember you said that you had tomatoes for my boyfriend? Yes, I did. Okay, and so he was wondering where they are. We are ahead of Eddie. Now, listen to this. I do not have... Let's not fight, kids. I do not have reds right now, but I got a lot coming. Like when these suckers come... I'll take anything. I'll take yellow. I'll take whatever. I'll take anything. I think the yellows are better, and I got... I got a few of those. Bring them on down. I'll have them. I'm taking whatever.
And then I'll give some to Ash. And then I'll let Eddie know which ones he can pick. No, you can take maybe. I'll give you the stems. This is bad, Mike. I know. It's bad, especially because yesterday Sky and I were talking. I said, hey, Sky, does Mr. Sky want some tomatoes? Oh, that guy's done. He lives in a house where tomatoes are not eternally loved. Right. Like my abode. That's right. P1 Sky fan is on the line. What's up? Well, I got a big favor to ask you guys. I'm really nervous about a test that I've got to take today, and I think it would really relax me and calm me down if I could hear Ashley doing a cover of Hootie again. Oh, yeah, that helps. Yeah, no problem. I just want to wear my ring, but there's nothing I can do. Wow. I mean, it's like being in the polar bear club. How sad, Eddie? It's like jumping in that freezing water. It shocks your system. You're like, whoa, okay. Eddie, is it one of those deals, too, where it happens every year, and you're kind of like, you know the polar bear thing's coming up?
And you're like trying to suck yourself up for it. It doesn't matter. It's going to hit you no matter what. There's going to be some pain involved. Like my heart stopped once. Oh, my gosh. I know. Oh, my gosh. I would like to see Bear Grylls explaining how to listen to this. And survive. And survive. How to do it. How it would go down. It's impossible. P1 Minnesota is on the line. I got a question for Eddie. I was wondering if he could help me put a little debate me and my boss have about Star Wars to rest. Sure. Me and my boss always argue about episodes one, two, and three. I think that they are completely, you know, terrible. Can't stand to watch them. And he seems to think that they're like the coolest thing that's ever happened in the film industry. Wow. I wonder if I could get your take on it. So you're talking the prequels? Yes. Yeah, I think that they're pretty bad, unfortunately. I mean, I still love the franchise, and I really enjoy the aspect of it, but I think George Lucas kind of forgot what made the first ones great, and it's the characters. And he got too into the effects and having it look real cool, and it lost a lot of the specialness of the first ones. That's exactly what I've been telling him. You're right.
And I got another question about Star Wars. Uh-oh. Oh, no. We're going to be here all day. What is it, Eddie? What is it? I've had a lot of questions lately that I've really been thinking about. What? Okay, you know in Empire Strikes Back, when Darth and Luke are fighting at the end when he tells them he's his father, and they're having this great lightsaber duel, and there are times when... They're on that plank, that little bridge, right before he falls off. They are fighting, and their lightsabers touch the sides of this bridge, and nothing happens. You see sparks, but then Vader swings and misses and knocks off this huge metal piece. You know what I'm talking about? So why does it work on that and totally disintegrate that, but not the bridge? That is a great... Yeah, like it hits the rails and it sparks and bounces off. Well, it's a special kind of metal, obviously. You think? Obviously. That was the Death Star, or was it not? Yeah. So we know what the Death Star was all about. That thing was supposed, unless you hit it. It was Cloud City. Oh, you're right. It was Cloud City. Cloud City. Oh. So, yeah, it begs the question. It doesn't make sense. It begs the question. Wow. Why would it not go through the metal on the bridge?
I mean, Darth completely destroys that three-pronged piece, metal piece. What is that thing there anyway? What's that for? What's that for? I got questions about that too, but for another time. Oh, good. Okay. I can't wait for that time. What I wonder is if you took somebody like Darth and you consider what it looks like when he's holding the lightsaber, okay? And we realize what muscles in the body are being used when holding the lightsaber. Could Tiger Woods potentially make him a better saber fighter by showing him muscle technique, showing him torque, body control? Like working out? Yeah, you know, I wonder if Tiger Woods work out. Yeah, if Tiger could say, listen, when you are...
moving the saber in this direction, I think if you could get a little bit more of your back and keep your arms straight. I'm sure it would. Absolutely. They watch film. Yeah. Play the Wii. Yeah. I think it could potentially. One other quick question. All right. All right, Eddie. And then you can move on. All right, Eddie. In the prequels, you notice that everybody has like a really cool shaped like. You got the curved one by Dooku, and you got the double one by Darth Maul. Where did those go? In the future, they all have just the standard issue saber. I wonder if they just became obsolete because the new sabers were just more effective in their shorter stance. Just the cool-looking ones didn't work as well. Yeah, plus fashion. Clearly, because Dooku died, and so did Darth Maul got cut in half. Yeah, totally. Empire fashion changes as well with the times. You guys are right. There are fewer Jedis, you know. True. Oh, my gosh. Thank you for answering that. P1 Dumb Plumber is on the line. Hey, how you doing? Good. I have a question about the 28-hour show. Go ahead. Is it going to be like all the others? No commercials and all that? That is correct, dude.
For 28 straight hours, we go on the air with no commercials. Just us. No music. Well, we haven't necessarily played music for a few years. Yeah, but after 10. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. After 10 o'clock, the station usually does play music, and we will not. It'll be our show for 28 straight hours. That's crazy, Mike. It is. It's kind of hard to wrap the head around, isn't it? A little bit. It is. Are you wearing the track jacket of Roman Oban's native country right now? I sure am. Puma jacket given to me by P1. Yeah. There you go. Cameroon. Cameroon. Cameroon. That's where Roman Oban is from. Cameroon. Is he on a football team? No. He is not. He has actually moved. He is now living in New York. New York State? New York State. Wow. Yeah. And working out there. I miss him, Mike. Yeah. Doing some radio out there. He's trying to get in the business. That's phenomenal. He's really good, man. He has one of the best voices around. Talk about it. Calm down. I'm just saying, I agree with you. I agree. Very smooth. And he's really good. He's a really good broadcaster. He's going to go real far. Guys, this next phone call I think will be where it begins in terms of the show fringe. P1 Travis. Hey, how's it going, guys?
It's going good. What is your question? My question is for Eddie and Sky, since they're the only ones that watch it. On the breaks between the commercials on French, did they notice all the hidden pictures? There's apples. Oh, yeah. It's really cool. Yeah. What do you think that means? I think it's just part of the weirdness that is the show. Mike, what he's talking about is when they go into commercial, they show, like, these different images. And one is, like, an apple with two, like, baby fetuses. Remember I showed it to you in the office? And then they have, like, a leaf with, I think, a handprint and a frog with a symbol on it. It's just all these different weird symbols. And I think it's just, you know. As they're going into commercial. So they make us talk. Yeah, and, you know, I'm assuming eventually. they'll have a significance, but just like with Lost, it may take you, like, a couple seasons to even get to that. There it is. Did you notice the flower with the wing? Was that last night? That was last night. Yeah, I watched the Big Brother finale, so I have a TV, but I'll watch it tonight. Who won Big Brother? Dan. What? Yeah. Why did you not even... My wife wanted Dan to win. He's the best. He's maybe the best Big Brother player in history. Why did you not warn me? Dr. Will.
Could be the best of all time, but Dan is clearly right up there. You can make a case for Dan. Oh, you can definitely make a case for Dan. Played a near flawless game. Yeah, and he was so under the radar for so long, which made his game so, you know. Even better. Yeah, it was really good. Cut 34. I will pull the keys from the voting box, revealing who each juror chose to win Big Brother 10. You need at least four votes to win. It is very suspenseful. Libra has cast her vote. For Dan goes. This is good stuff because I'm wondering who will win. Michelle has cast her vote to Dan to be the winner. You need at least four to win. How do you feel, Memphis? Ollie's vote goes to the winner of Big Brother Ted. You guys think that the jury voted for him because they respected his play? Yes, definitely. Without a doubt. And he swept it, 7-0.
Yeah. That's incredible. I mean, and they even all figured out how he, you know, screwed them over but still respected it. Wow. Like, they get it. You know, like, oh, well, you know, it is a game and this is what you got to do to win. So, good job, man. Yeah. That's cool. Yeah. That show is interesting. It was really good. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. This text message says, did Eddie get the new Star Wars game? That's P1 The One. We obviously had a very long day yesterday, a very busy day. I had other stuff going on with my condo. I regrettably did not get a chance to go get it, but I believe I'm going to be able to get it today. This text message says, Spaghetti! Oh, my gosh. You got me that time. I got it. You just got us. Wow. This one says, Hey, Mikey, I got the past four 28-hour shows on my iPod from P1 site. Oh, my gosh. Takes up over six gigs on my iPod. Wow. That's P1 Rondo. Mikey, you can find the past three 28-hour shows on P1 sites. So apparently they've narrowed it down to just three of them. Mikey, how about telling listeners that they can record the 28-hour show on DVD? It'll only take four DVDs to hold all of it. Awesome. So there you go. That's P1 Shovel. So there's an idea for you. 28 straight hours of broadcasting, which...
With all the ideas that were going around yesterday, I was thinking, I can't wait for this show. We can do 48 hours. Dude. Let's do it. Let's do it. I will punch you in the face. Oh, God. Do it. Can you imagine? If maybe on the 10th anniversary of it, we did the 48 hours. Physically impossible. Say that after the 27th hour. We'll bring it up. Don't remind me. I said it. You guys hear about in Florida, millions of nickels got thrown all over the road after this big crash. Rob's like, where was I? Come on. Yeah. My favorite denomination. It's the highest I've ever seen. That's right. It was early this morning in Florida and two semis sideswiped each other on the 95 in Florida and they say 182.
$1,000 worth of nickels. They say that's about 3 million nickels. That's crazy. I'd be there forever trying to get all of them. Filling your pockets. Dust buster. Wow. All right. Today on the show, we got a full show for you today. We're going to do something called Lyrical Gangsta. And also, We have an email from a guy that is going to be getting married. His fiance's parents hate him. Have you ever been through that? You got any advice on that? Also, tomorrow we're going to do another Ashley eating competition. Awesome. I'm hungry. That's right. I'm hungry. Mommy needs some food. I need to eat. So we'll tell you what she's going to be eating and we'll get a competitor for her. We got new releases today. We got the YouTube clip of the day, and it's Diddy, believe it or not. He's made another video. Don't want to show you. Let you hear. Don't forget, the 28-hour show happens Wednesday, October 8th. Our text number is 352535701053 is our phone number. Call us, and let's get this thing started. In the stand-up spotlight, Jerry Seinfeld. Stand-up spotlight 105.3. But it's probably a good date. Street scene organizers are scrambling for a replacement after Saturday's headliners, the Black Crows, canceled at the last minute. Oh, they should get lemon drops and sandals. They are good. They will kill that. And I heard they're open right now. Yeah, their docket is not real full. The Raiders defensive end Tommy Kelly was arrested for a DUI Monday morning. Uh-oh. That organization is not having the best of luck right now. Not really, no. This text message says, Eddie, what would happen if somebody dropped the lightsaber? Would it melt through the planet? That's Steve B. No. I believe that when a lightsaber is dropped, the saber part of it goes out.
Oh. That makes sense, right? You've seen when it gets knocked out of their hands, it goes off. It immediately shuts off. It has an automatic shut-off button. That's right. This one says, Eddie, Count Dooku used the curved hilt saber because he fought with an obsolete style that was similar to fencing, which died out with him. Double blades were predominantly a Sith weapon frowned upon by the Jedi. So, you know, there it is. Thank you. Eddie already knew that. I kind of knew that. I find it fascinating that not one person in the future decided, you know what, I really like the shape of that. I might go back to that. Yeah, I mean, it was kind of handsome as well. Smart looking. Smart looking. Absolutely. It didn't, from what I understand, match with a lot of the briefcases carried by some of the more studious. But there it is. Affluent. Affluent. Affluent. So, yeah, the Black Crows have at the last minute canceled Street Scene. Well, they've pulled out of Street Scene. Street Scene is still going on, but they have pulled out Saturday due to an unexpected illness. They've actually canceled, I think, five dates across the country. A lot of bands I've never heard of will be taking their place.
Pity Party will be playing. Oh, yeah. False Record, I'm sure. Tortoise Salad. Tortoise Salad will be up there. My Sweet 16. They're good. Can't get enough of them. The Sporks. They're great. Newspaper readers. Oh, love that one. Love them. Full Tilt Nachos, I think, are going to do one show, but they... Upside Down Face. They're great. He's going to be warming it up. The budget pepperoncinis. Oh, they're good. Have you heard the budget pepperoncinis new single right now on iTunes, dude? It's one of the staff favorites. It's a staff favorite. Tarantula killers. So, Sky, what's the deal? Why are they canceling again? Due to an unexpected illness in the band. So, you know, the organizers of Street Scene saying they're trying to find another national act to replace the Black Crows. Because, I mean, the Black Crow... Yeah, Saturday. I mean, this Saturday. I mean, just a couple days away. That's crazy. Yeah, and so... And now, you know, the Black Crows was one of the biggest names. That was what they had.
That was what they had, yeah, for Saturday. Is there anybody else on there that sounds real, oh, come in here, come in here, come in here. It's Sir Roosevelt, Zathia Notes Jr., Esquire, the third, MD, DDS. What's he got? Inc. Dot com. Dot com CEO. This is the lineup. Okay. Oh, boy. Well, you have the Filano stage. Now, this is Friday and Saturday I'm looking at. Yeah, so Saturday is what we're talking about. Friday still has their headliner back, but Saturday, who do we got left with, Mike? What do we got? Saturday. Well, early on, you can see the Whigs and Dengu Fever. They're pretty good. Tokyo Police Club will play. Thank goodness, because a lot of people, I think, were wondering, would that actually happen? I was. The Night Marchers will play at 7.35 p.m. Eagles of Death Metal are confirmed. Don't freak out. Does it offend you? Yeah. That band will be playing. There is a question mark. Yes, it does. That's the name. I'm guessing that they are a British band because I kind of hear it like, does it offend you? Yeah. Does it offend you? Yeah. I heard that the...
Dan Marino, All-Star Rejects are playing. They are. The band Man Man is going to play at 1045. They just stuttered right there. That was the cast boss. That was Man Man. Oh, boy. On the Zara Bonda stage, the Mother Hips. Del, the Funky Hips would have been a better name. I agree. Del, the Funky Homo Sapien is another band. Ghostland Observatory. Atmosphere. Yes. And STS-9. And then in parentheses, it says Sound Tribe Sector 9, for those of you that don't know. Well said. On the Falana stage. Oh, my favorite of the stages. I always hang out with that one. Yeah. West Indian Girl, Cold War Kids. Oh, where's East Indian Girl? Not going to be there? No, they couldn't make it.
Tegan and Sarah. Yeah, and by the way, it is West Indian Girl because a lot of people get excited because they're like, East Indian Girl's going to be there? No, no, no, no. West Indian Girl. Oh, who's that? Clearly the lesser of the two. Right. Tegan and Sarah. I'm bringing them on stage. No, that's my neighbors. I just said that they're really excited about Cold War kids being there. The band The National will be playing. And then finally, now we're getting to the big bands. Oh, here we go. So here is the big stage on the main stage Saturday night. All right, Mike. It will be Spiritualized, The Hives, X, and They Need Somebody. That's not the name of the band. I'm just saying Black Rose canceled, so They Need Somebody. Yeah. What the heck? Couldn't pay me enough. It's like every other year's been huge named, like, people. I don't understand why this year. There's nobody. Where is it? It's downtown again. They're back downtown. Aye, aye, aye. That's a good band. Aye, aye, aye. My fave. It's a better name than some of those other ones. What would you guys think? What would your thoughts be on this? Now it's time for the YouTube clip of the day. Well, the deal is that Diddy does love to get on that intranet.
And he offended a lot of people in Alaska. I don't know if you remember that, but he was upset when John McCain announced that Sarah Palin was going to be his running mate because he's like, Alaska? What's in Alaska? Man, there's not even any crackheads in Alaska. And so he apologized and thought that he maybe spoke too soon and he was trying to be a little tongue-in-cheek about it. He still understands that there are people in Alaska that are upset about it. So he kind of wants to concede something to the state of Alaska. Cut 41. Diddy blog number 16. Diddy blog number 16. What up? I'm sorry. So sorry. I would like to take out the time to personally apologize to all of the citizens of the great state of Alaska. Now, my Diddy blogs, they're meant to come across as funny and humorous. It's one word. At the same time to promote some thought and get some ideas flowing and get people talking about serious situations, but at the same time not being 100% serious. I was not 100% serious on that blog. I do know that there are black people and crackheads.
Diddy. Alaska. They're not going to take you serious. It's a great state of Alaska. Yeah, it's not an apology. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to have fun at your expense. I'm not a politician. I'm just a citizen. Having fun. You're more than a citizen with that Learjet, dude. Don't be Diddy from the block. You're not Diddy from the block, bro. And you're recording this from a wireless camera in your Learjet. Thank you. Did you know that John McCain made an appearance on ESPN? What? Really? That's crazy. Yeah. Because I don't know if you guys know this. He, a long time ago, he had made these comments about the MMA and he wasn't down. Yeah. But that was before. And, you know, he hadn't seen Chuck Liddell fight yet. And then he was like, wow, I'm into this guy. I like this guy. Cut 23.
You once called mixed martial arts ultimate fighting, human cockfighting. Do you think that's still your view? Well, I think it's something that American people like to view first. shots I remember seeing of initially Ultimate Fighting Championship was a guy bashing his head into an opponent's face that was literally unconscious. Now they've cleaned it up. It's not my favorite sport but I think they're in compliance now with most of the things that we would approve of. I think Dana's done a good job of... You watch, don't you, John? I do watch, yes. But I'd like to know, John, I've watched every Ultimate Fighting Championship since number one. I've never seen a guy bash his own head into somebody else's face. Oh, I did. It broke open like a pumpkin. Yeah, headbutts were never allowed. I think you're full of it. A bunch of sheets fell out.
I think you're backtracking. I went there. I took my son. I thought it would be a wonderful experience for me and my son. And so I took him to the Ultimate Fighting Championship. And when this gentleman's head broke open like a pumpkin, I tried to make the best of it. I gathered up his head. My son and I scooped out the rest of the seeds. And then we carved little triangles in man's head. We put a little candle inside of it. Again, never happened. Then we put the top of the skull back on there and we lit it up. Okay. And we put it out. You're creeping me out. We put it out in front of the house for Halloween and I... I said to my son, I said to my son, I said, this reminds me of what I did 35 years ago in Da Nang. Charlie's head. The way I look at the UFC is you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.

The governor says that he will veto the overdue California budget. The Seahawks are scrambling for wide receiver help. They signed Corin Robinson and trade for Kerry Colbert from the Broncos. Really?
They got nothing. Yeah. That's not good. That is not good. This is a text message about Street Scene. If you haven't heard, the Black Crows canceled for Saturday night. They were the headliners. Yep. They canceled. They said, sorry, we're not feeling well. We can't make it, even though we were one of the only recognizable names at Street Scene Saturday night. And so now Street Scene is saying, well, we need a big band. We need it by Saturday night. And we got a text message here that says, Mikey, why don't they call up San Diego's very own Wally World to play Street Scene? That is a dynamite idea. That is a dynamite idea. Yeah, that would be phenomenal. Mikey, the Corys should replace the Black Crows. That's P1-100. Let's see. Mikey McCain talks a little bit like Hannibal Lecter. What do you think? That's P1's kid's daddy. Let's see here.
So before we went to break, I said that there was a pickpocket in our midst. Pickpocket. Pickpocket. Pickpocket. Pickpocket. That's right. And what is he pickpocketing, Sky? And what's going on? Just goods and money. Oh, Sky. Oh. Sorry. Rob, how do you know that? How did you know it so quickly? Why did you answer so quickly? That was a little freaky because you definitely fit the bill. Right. Rob's like 37. 39 different wallets have been stolen in the county within the last year at supermarkets and targets women in a particular section of the store. Really? Okay. I have some audio here, by the way. Yeah. This is San Diego County Crime Stoppers. Cut 39. Whether it be because when you're in that frozen food section, you're reaching into a door, you're a little more distracted, the noise from the coolers, there's a lot of different theories out there why this is his choice, but clearly that seems to be the target.
Now, you know those noisy coolers, how they're like... I can't hear anything. So the deal is, you know, you'll have your purse in the area where, like, little kids are supposed to sit, you know, and it's normally open, your purse. I always put my purse in the big part. Keep an eye on it. That is weird. And then you, you know, normally turn your back and kind of put half your body in the freezer, and that's when the guy takes your wallet. I guess, you know, they've caught him on video, takes all the cash out of the wallet, and then tosses it in the garbage can on its way out the door. What a jerk. He can't even, like... Isn't that the worst? That's so awful, like, what effect he's having on people's lives. Yeah, so all over the county, they say major supermarkets, the bigger supermarkets, like I said, has happened 39 times in the last year. He normally dresses in a dress shirt and black slacks. Tall guy, about six feet tall, very thin. Hey, Rob, then. No, definitely. Is it Rob? There is a $1,000 reward out there for information leading to his arrest. For real. $1,000 reward? Yeah. Yeah, Rob, you should become a bounty hunter. I'd love to, dude. Oh, I don't know if that's a good idea. Rob the bounty hunter. Oh, boy. I'm going to need to make a badge first. Don't you hate it when you go to Frozen Foods and you open the door for two seconds and it gets all fogged up? Yeah. Yeah.
Because you open it up, you look around, and you're like, I don't think... Yeah. And then you close it, and then you can't look back in. Yeah, and then you're like, okay, I guess that was my one shot at drumsticks. Or I have to wait here for 20 minutes. I write on them. Yeah. You do? Put a smiley face. Oh, gosh. That's fun. I write help. Okay. Let's see. There is apparently a thing out there that... Everyone's favorite guy, Luke Perry, may be coming back to television. So 90210, here he comes. No, Mike, no. He will not be coming back to 90210. Yeah, Luke Perry has said... Come on, guys. Oh, Dylan. Seriously. I'm sorry, Dylan. We were just talking. I want to come back. I heard you didn't want to come back. You kind of passed it now. I still love you, Brenda. Yeah, I was going to say, Dylan, isn't there unfinished business with Bren? Wow. With Bren? Yeah. Well, and we don't know who the father of Kelly's baby is. Hello. Yeah. Dylan, are you the father of Kelly's baby? High five, bro. Okay.
No, no. Too slow. No. Dude, that hasn't been in since 1990. I'm squinting at you. Wait, no, dude. Wait. Check out my sideburns. You guys notice that Dylan has a t-shirt on that says color me bad? Yeah. Still cool. Oh, no. I just booked him for the peach pit after dirt. Oh, no. It's just the pit now, Dylan. Yeah. What? And those guys are all... All these changes. I know. Those guys are 250 pounds a piece, you know. I don't know if it's the same. But they still do have pencil-thin beards, which is sexy, sexy, sexy. So Luke Perry will not be coming back to 90210. Oh, no. Yeah. But he has signed on for the October 8th episode of Criminal Minds on CBS where he will be playing a cult leader. So we can all look forward to Luke Perry. It's just sad that it's come to this and that, you know, on Internet Movie Database, that will be there and it will say cult leader Luke Perry.
Follow me if you want to go to Mars. I'm not buying it. I'm kind of in. I mean, it's Luke Perry. Eddie, do you know the deal with this Guitar Hero thing? Because apparently they have a new track listing. Eddie loves video games. He knows about video games. How does this work? What is this new track listing? It's the newest Guitar Hero game that's coming out. It's called Guitar Hero World Tour. And they got, it's coming out on October 26th. And you know how everybody freaks out for Guitar Hero. And they got some cool songs on there this time. You got the Beastie Boys, No Sleep Till Brooklyn. Billy Idol, Rebel Yell, Bon Jovi, Living on a Prayer. You got the Eagles, Hotel California. Nice. Filter, Hey Man, Nice Shot. You'll like this one, Mike. Fleetwood Mac, Go Your Own Way. Nice. Get it, Mike. Nice. Foo Fighters, Everlong. A couple of Jimi Hendrix songs. Metallica. Michael Jackson beat it. So some really good songs. It's going to be fun. That sounds pretty cool. Sublime Santeria. Party at my house. Awesome. We were talking about that train engineer for the Metrolink. And what was the deal? Was he text messaging? What was going on? Sky, what do we got? Okay, well, in regards to the text messaging, because, you know, some teenagers claim, you know, they're like big.
trained nerds, these teenagers, and they have this relationship with the engineer where they would kind of talk shop or whatever over the text message. Well, so right now they have subpoenaed his text message or his records, his phone records from Verizon Wireless because they weren't able to recover his phone at the scene. They never found it. So they're still looking into that right now. It's just alleged that he was texting. No joke. You know who does that? Gary Coleman. Yeah. Gary Coleman hangs out at the train yard and looks at the trains and talks to the engineers. Dude, I ever tell you the Gary Coleman story with my brother, Mark? Oh, really? Dude, have I ever told you guys this story? I don't think so. It is the craziest thing ever. My brother is a railroad engineer, Mark. He gets off his shift, long shift, and he's walking inside. Because when you... When you stop the train back at the train depot, you go inside the big train office building and you fill out some paperwork and then you can go home. So it's the middle of the night. And he's walking back to the little office building. And this, he says at the time, he goes, this little black kid walks up to me. Oh, boy. And he thinks it's a kid. Right. And he says to me.
And I don't know if you know this, but you have a train. One of your trains is hotboxing on blah, blah, blah street, which is a technical train term that my brother was familiar with. But that when he told me this, I had to have him explain what the heck that meant. And so my brother says, oh, really? How do you know? He says, because I saw it. I was parked watching it. And so my brother says, OK, can you come with me? Report it. And he says, yes. They go in there to the office and they talk to the train dispatcher. They fill out some paperwork. He takes all this stuff. And my brother goes back into the employee area and he's like getting, you know, putting on and taking off his work boots and all that stuff, putting on normal clothes. And one of the guys comes in and goes, hey, you see Gary Coleman out there? My brother Mark is like. who is Gary Coleman? Because you know Mark, man. He's not really your different strokes kind of guy. And who's Gary Coleman? He says, that's that guy from, you know, what you talking about, Willis? From the TV show Different Strokes. Visit us at SOABW.com. Better mileage tips presented by Chevron. Here's an easy one. To improve mileage, come by Chevron and fill up with air. That's right, air. When was the last time you checked the air pressure in your tires? Can't remember? Then it's definitely been too long. Did you know even tires in good shape can lose about one pound of pressure a month? And underinflated tires make your engine work harder, lowering your mileage. But don't overinflate them. You can usually find the recommended tire pressure on a sticker located on the driver's side door jamb. And speaking of air, air conditioning is not so hot for your car's mileage either. Whenever you turn it on, it puts an added strain on your engine.
Now, at highway speeds, it's probably better to use the A.C. rather than roll down the windows because of the aerodynamics. But around town, enjoy the fresh air. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. There was an earlier accident involving a motorcycle with some injuries in the southbound 5. Actually, the very end of the Poinsettia Lane on-ramp to southbound 5, blocking the left lane of that ramp, and that's backing up traffic on the 5. Pretty much from before Palomar Airport Road. Actually, make it Cannon Road now down to the accident scene. So be prepared to sit in that for a bit. Once you get past that, though, you're looking okay. South 15, still pretty jammed up out of Escondido from El Norte Parkway now all the way down to Via Rancho. You've got some slow traffic again from Carmel Mountain Road down into Poway. West 52, starting to see some brake lights heavy now out of Santee coming up the hill over the Mission Trail Summit. Your 8-ride westbound, that's looking pretty good into Mission Valley. Maybe a minor delay through Hotel Circle. The West 94 King Freeway.
Backed up a little bit from Euclid to the 805. Then again from 28th Street now into downtown. Rougher rides on both the 5 and the 805 northbound. Both these freeways getting pretty tough out of Chula Vista now up in the National City. 805 stays slow off and on all the way into North Park. Another minor delay near Balboa. And South 163, there's an accident past Washington. And that's backing up your ride trying to get into Balboa Park. This report is brought to you by C-Train Matrix Centers. All pro safety Bob Sanders of the Indianapolis Colts could miss four to six weeks with an ankle sprain. I just got signed off of my instant message for no apparent reason. You deserved it. I think so, too. I was thinking about it, and I'm like, well, I kind of asked for it. Inappropriate. I kind of asked for it, you know? You come in here wearing that and think you're not going to get signed off? Yeah. And my IM was like, yeah, well, guess what?
So I was about to go to the Sean TV theme song right now. Yeah. And then looked up on my call screener. Oh. Uh-oh. And I saw Debbie, P1 Debbie from Mira Mesa, does not want her daughter hanging out with rich girls. What? From La Jolla. What? What does that mean? And I was like, hmm, that looks good. Yeah. I think we all feel that way, don't we? Yeah. I do. P1 Debbie, are you there? I'm here. Hi, Debbie. Hi. Yeah, I am very interested to see what this is all about. You do not want your daughter hanging out with rich girls from La Jolla. That's exactly right. Why? Okay, okay. I've already noticed.
This girl off of MySpace. And she's been hanging out with her. And I've already noticed a big difference in the way that she's acting. How old is your kid? She's 13. And now she's acting. She was always like the sweetest little girl. And she didn't care about materialistic things. And now all of a sudden she has to have the hottest shoes. Mom, can I get this sweater, which is like $150? Oh, my. I mean, this girl that she is befriended, she wears things, designers I've never even heard of are Italian. She had something like a poochie something on the other day. No, it's pronounced spaghet. Spaghet. Not spaghet. Are you talking about Gucci? No, it's called poochie. Poochie. That's a knockoff. Those patterns that they wear, I don't know. I'm trying to learn. So your daughter wants that stuff now, too. Oh, yeah. And now she's even saying that her girlfriend, her parents said that she can have a nose job when she wants one when she's 16. And I'm thinking, what the heck is next? Yeah, that's not good. That's not good. Well, and you live in Mira Mesa. Yep.
And I'm guessing that you are seeing this as sort of a class difference. Well, I guess, yeah. I mean, I am. Yeah. And I'm also seeing it as sort of a snob difference. It's weird because it's kind of a reverse, it's like a reverse class deal, you know? Like instead of a rich person being like, I don't want my child to associate. Sky. It is the reverse, and somebody's saying, I don't want my kid associating with that rich kid. Yeah. But I think that the principles are probably still the same in each. Yeah, what if the rich girl were just, you know, had the same sort of morals as your daughter? Would that matter? Like her bank account? You know what, though? She can't have the same morals because of the way she talks about money. It's obviously something learned from her parents or just embedded into their world because she just it's not like she's a sweet girl that doesn't that isn't affected by it. She's very affected by it. So what? Let me let me ask you. Let me ask you. What is your what is your gut telling you? Well, my gut tells me that today it's, you know, today it's it's clothing and it's all. And then and then tomorrow it's.
I want this car. And then it's, oh, she can afford cocaine. I want cocaine. I don't know. Oh, gosh. Okay. All right. Cocaine. Cocaine. Cocaine. By the way, 570-1053 if you want to weigh in. And 35253 is our text number. I don't know. I kind of think of it as a good conversation to get into. Oh, definitely. It's an opportunity. It's an opportunity to say to your kid, you know, that's not what it is. Well, first of all, we can't afford that. And her mom and dad, they can afford that. But we can't afford that. And those clothes, that's not what it's about. I don't want to tell her we can't afford it. I just don't even want her to want that. I want her to look at the little things and appreciate them. Well, I mean, but you have to tell her that. Like, it's kind of disheartening to me to hear you say, I don't want to have to say that. And again, in a perfect world, we don't want to have to tell our kids don't take drugs, and we don't want to have to sit down and have that conversation about birth control. But as a parent, I think that's your job. No, I'll have that conversation. I don't want to look at my kid and say, I can't afford it.
I don't make enough money. Well, I don't think you, you know, I think you can say, hey, everybody's different. Everybody lives different lifestyles. I mean, I think it's a great life lesson to learn. Some people have helicopters. Some people don't, yes. This is a fact of life you're going to have to realize at one point or another is that we have a helicopter, all right? I do not have a helicopter. But some people don't have a chopper. Okay. Believe it or not, darling. Very sad. Believe it or not, darling. Some people. I actually don't have a Honky Kong 2. Oh, my God. What? How do you live? I know. It's very difficult to live without the Honky Kong 2. I understand this. And we go to Ralph's in the Honky Kong 2. That's right. We go to Vaughn's in the Honky Kong 2. Okay. Some people can't afford a bed made of human hair. So comfortable. Silken hat. Oh, it's wonderful. Oh, it's delightful. You haven't slept until you've had a bad human hat. Until you've nuzzled up. Well, this is what I think. I say, you know, it's a good opportunity to get into the conversation and start yapping about it and start saying, listen, first of all, this is my thought. First of all, we can't afford that. And even if we could.
You have to be able to earn stuff in your life. That's right. You got to be able to earn stuff. This is the last Christmas that you're going to get gifts. I know what you're trying to do. It's that you're going to have to not buy gifts. It's the last time you're just going to get gifts and not have to buy gifts. You're 12 years old. Buck up, buddy. And next year, you're buying presents for everyone. Play with your He-Man doll. Here, here, here. Enjoy it. Is that what it came over? Yeah, he's saying that because, yeah, that's what happened on my 12th birthday. Oh, it did? That's so weird that we were joking. Oh, no, yeah, it was Christmas. It was not my 12th birthday. It was Christmas Day. And, boy, my mom took that opportunity to let me know that was the last Christmas. I wouldn't be buying presents. Oh. For other people. Which, you know, yeah, sure took the wind out of the sails of that excitement. But, you know, certainly. You know, lesson learned, right? That is. That should work. So in this case, you're the Mira Mesa kid. Yes, Eddie, 100%. 100%. 570-1053. P1 Debbie, why don't you listen off the air? We'll take some phone calls. Unless, I don't know, maybe these people want to talk to you directly. Can you take a couple calls with me? Yeah, I just, okay. I'm going to take a couple of calls here.
And just see what people are saying. P1 Matt, are you there? Matt just hung up. P1 Vicky, are you there? Vicky? Yeah, go ahead. I was saying that, good morning everybody, but I was saying that my son actually goes to school where kids have a little bit more than what I can afford. I'm a single mom. And my philosophy behind that is I tell my kids, look at what your friends have. We can't afford a lot of those things. And so, you know, why don't you, you know, you want to live that lifestyle. You see where your friends are, what their parents do. And obviously, you know, we can't do all of those things. And so better yourself so that you can someday live that way and you can provide for your kids the way that, you know, the things that you're missing out on right now because of, you know. What I didn't do or whatever. Money, money, money. That's great. I think there's a couple of lessons there. I think there's a couple of lessons. And one lesson is, hey, listen, if you want something, you can earn it and you can save up money. And I think that there's also a lesson. I think that there might also be a lesson in that, you know, just because it costs more doesn't make it better. And that's just what.
The companies that make it want you to believe, but that's not necessarily the deal. What about the philosophy, Mike, that's just like money, money, money? There is a philosophy of money, money, money. Money, money, money. People live like that. It's disgusting. It is disgusting. You're all disgusting. Money, money, money. P1 Debbie, thank you very much. We'll take some phone calls. You can listen off the air. Make up your mind. Yeah, and I really appreciate it because I think you guys had really good points. Thank you. Thank you very much. We're very wise. Thanks, Debbie. Love your cupcake. There you go. That's actually her daughter you're thinking of, Little Daddy. Love your daughter's cupcake. P1 Efron's on the line. Hi, Efron. Good morning, guys. How are you guys doing? Good. How are you doing? I'm doing fine. Thank you. Well, I just wanted to weigh in on what P1 Debbie was saying. You know, I grew up in El Salvador until I was about 12 years old. My parents were pretty wealthy over there, and I hung around with wealthy kids too, but my parents grew up poor, and they always taught me the value of money. And no matter what the other kids had that I used to play with, I mean, they had all the expensive toys, the nice clothes, and what have you. I never had any of that stuff, and I didn't care. I appreciated what I had.
And now I'm 23 years old. I started making six figures a year by the time I was 19 years old. I own a home in Los Angeles, one in San Diego. I got a beautiful wife, two kids, one on the way. And I'm going to do the same thing with my kids. They can hang around with whoever they want. But as long as I teach them the value of money and I make them appreciate what they have, it shouldn't matter what the other kids have. As long as, you know, as long as the other kids are good kids, they're no problem. with whatever I wanted as long as I did good in school. I'll do the same with my kids. You know, it's not, there's nothing wrong with giving your kids what they want as long as they do good in school, they do their chores, they're respectful. That's a concept of life. I mean, when you're, you know, in the real world, you know, if you're doing your work, you get rewarded. It's the same thing. Hey, dude, I appreciate, I appreciate the phone call. Thanks for calling. No problem. Wait a second. If you work hard, you get rewarded? That is correct. This is a new concept. I shall give it a shot. I think that Pink said it best when she said, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. Well said. Keep those rock moves going. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Eddie, what's up? You know, well, I did. Well, I did it once. I didn't do it. You know, he added the effect, the sound effect. It's so unnecessary. This text message says, Mikey, I have a question. Why is she letting her 13-year-old daughter meet people off MySpace in person? I'm sure it's supervised. Yeah, I'm going to sue. That's P1 Mommies. No way. This one says, Mikey, 13-year-olds do not understand the words, we cannot afford that. They just don't get it. Well, I think it's in the approach, you know? I think it's in the approach, and I think it's in the kid. It's the kid, and it's in the approach. Mikey, I grew up with my mom saying she couldn't afford things we made do, and I got over it. It's P1 Sandra. Mikey is someone who only had two Mercedes growing up.
I know hard times. In fact, not having rich friends won't make you the daughter, won't make the daughter less inclined to want material items. Tell mom to get another job. That's P1 Boom Goes the Dynamite. Sean TV. Oh, that is. Oh, wow. Sounds like mommy's happy and took her Adderall. Yep. Three. Hey dude, you know how In-N-Out says their fries are hand cut? Yeah. Well, I was wondering, where do you think they find people with sharp enough hands to cut the potatoes? What? Well, I mean, it would require some pretty sharp hands. No, dude, that's not... You need, like, blade hands. They cut the potatoes by hand with a slicer. I wonder what kind of training is involved. Not a clue. Probably lots of kung fu type stuff. Okay, did you fall on your head today? Yeah. Why? That explains everything. It's a slow ride on lots of our freeways right now. We've got South Ponce out of the 5 looking a little bit better. There was an accident involving a motorcycle down just past Poinsettia Lane. That caused a major backup there. It's out of the way, but now you've got some kind of off and on stuff from on Oceanside, Cassidy, and Little Pockets all the way down in towards Encinitas. South 15 staying tough out of Vescondido from El Norte Parkway off around as well down to Villarancho Parkway. And now it's getting kind of heavy out of Rancho Bernardo off and on down in towards the Poway area. Westbound 52, pretty stacked up in the 125 over the summit. The westbound 8 is now starting to see some heavy traffic as well. From Spring Street out to Lake Murray, now you've got a backup from the 15 all the way into Hotel Circle. There's an accident near Taylor Street that's causing a major backup behind it. West 94 on the King Freeway, that's slow and go from College Grove Way to the 805, then again into downtown. And both the 505 northbound, pretty stacked up on both these freeways out of Chula Vista up through National City. The 805 continues slow.

Yeah, it is. San Diego's number two? Yes. They grade on the curve. Los Angeles is number six. Wow, San Diego has better looking. Yeah, we do. We do because we have the beach. Welcome back. 736. Paris Hilton said she did find her new best friend through her upcoming MTV reality show. The Eagles-Cowboys Monday night game drew the highest rating ever for a program on cable. Come on. With a 13 share. For real? Yeah. That's pretty cool. Huge. That's pretty awesome. I have a feeling about that. That's a great impression. That was really good. That was a good Jim Rohn. Do it again, Ash. But it didn't even.
One more time. There it is. Jim Rome, ladies and gentlemen. That was perfect. That was really cool. I have a theory on why that was so highly rated. Why? I think people were probably calling their friends going, dude, you watching this? Yeah. I mean, no doubt. I mean, they were going back and forth, back and forth. It was a crazy game. Yeah, I think that gets people to watch. Maybe after that awesome national anthem. Yeah, they were like, are you watching this? Let's see. I'm sorry, Mikey, but the dude that just called in that said six figures at 23, how much you want to bet his parents paid for college? Sorry, bro. Not the same as real poor people. That's P1 Charger fan. Represent the real poor people. This next text says, Mikey, let's say your daughter spends half the time with you, her father, where the money's tight, and then half of the time with her mom. who lives a lavish slash luxury life. How do you say, well, your mom can, but you can't with us. That's P1 working hard. That's gotta be tough. Well, it's the same concept. I mean, the concept doesn't change. Listen, we can't, they can. And not only that, if you want that, you can have it. You can't have it right now, but you can't have anything right now.
Even in our lives, I mean, we can't just point to anything we want and go, I want it. Snap our fingers and it's there. But then there's a whole concept we talked about about, well, is, you know, does that make it better just because it costs more? We did a blind taste test in this room with Oreo cookies. I couldn't tell. Thought tuxedos were better. Did it with ham too. That's right. Sky thought Costco ham tasted better than Honey Baked. She's gotten very used to the name Honey Baked. I like ham. But when we did the test... Honey Baked. She liked it. P1 Clark is on the line. Hi, Clark. How's it going, everybody? What's up? I was just going to say, I'm a single parent, and my daughter's not quite to the school age yet, but when I was growing up and I was in high school and middle school, I never had... nearly into the stuff other people have when i went to high school i got transferred into a uh private christian school and everybody had a lot more money than me so it wasn't hard fitting in but it was still always there i was worried about it so i'm still i worry about it with my daughter growing up and i'm probably gonna go out of my way and probably spend more money than i should than i actually have on things to i don't know not really to make her fit in because i don't want her to think that that's
that important but at the same time i don't want her to go through the same way i did just feeling like the poor kid yeah hey man thanks for the call dude i appreciate it thank you hey p1 jesse you there yes i'm here jesse what do you think man uh well here's my thing i think this generation's a lot different than how me and you were brought up you know it's all about ipods and cell phones so everybody wants to get their piece and fit in at school i just don't see how 13 year old kids need a cell phone or Stuff like that, you know, going to school. I got a question for you, though, P1 Jesse. Yes. How old are you? 27. Okay, now, when you were a kid 20 years ago, wasn't there something? I mean, isn't every generation, doesn't every generation have a little something that they go, man, I wish I had that? Yeah. Well, of course, you know, and maybe, you know, maybe your parents will, you know, save up and get that for you, but. It's not expected on your part. Because it ain't the iPod's fault, bro. You know, iPod, yeah, it's a new thing. Yeah, but it's like in this new age of communication, it's like almost like I could envision as a child, you're like left out of stuff if somebody can't send you the text message or if, you know, if they can't send you the IM because your parents can't afford a computer, like you're left out. Think back when you were a kid.
You could say, hey, it's this argument could have been made on the radio. Hey, it's this day and age of toys. They, you know, when somebody could be saying when you were a kid, they could have been going when I was a kid, there wasn't something on, you know, there wasn't TV like it is now. And there wasn't this craze about Cabbage Patch Kids. But now because we have a TV and my kids are watching this TV, all they know about is this whole Cabbage Patch Kid thing. It's like the biggest thing in the world. When I was a kid, we didn't know about this. fad and this thing that was going around on TV that everybody talked about. Every generation, I think, is going to have their thing. We'll always have our things. iPods are an it thing. There's no doubt about it. Cell phones, it thing. No doubt about it. Well, you got the side kicker. I agree with you, but that doesn't mean that you have to have it. You know, I mean, there was a lot of stuff like that when I was growing up that I wanted. My parents didn't get it. They didn't get it for me. They didn't give me everything. I didn't have that eye face when I was a kid in the space book, you know. You're always on your space book and you're blogging up your dreams, you know. You're blogging up your dreams and you're trying to download.
The web and all that. You got that Google pod, man. You're like sitting there with your Google pod going, I want to get you on my download here. My YouTube space. I want to tube you. No, you know what I'm saying? YouTube. Something happened. Mikey, we wish never growing, never rich. Wait. Well said. And action. Mikey, we were never rich growing up, but learning not to spend money freely is the reason why I'm 23 years old and I own a home. That's P1. What's hampooning? Mikey, tell your kid that her friend is materialistic and insecure. Okay. And that if her kid starts showing signs that those bad habits are rubbing off on her, she won't be allowed to hang out with that little girl. That's P1, Jaden. Now, Jaden, why would you be telling your child that the person is insecure? In fact, why would you be calling and teaching your kid to call someone materialistic and insecure? To criticize someone else. To judge, to criticize. That's not it. I hate you too. Oh, no. Not to mention, basically what we're doing is...
We're teaching our kid that because another kid wears expensive jeans, they are insecure. That's something that you've decided and are projecting. Yeah. That's not truth. Because somebody's different from us, that means something must be wrong with them. That's not cool. Which, if you were rich, mom, P1 Jaden, what if you were rich and you were teaching the same concept? I mean, we're talking about clothing. And so what if you were teaching your kid that because a poor person wore a certain type of clothing, they were insecure or something else? Or you made it not insecure. What if you made the judgment that they are stupid? We said that. You know what? They don't get to wear the same kind of jeans that you do. They're stupid. I mean, you're you're making a judgment call. This one says, Mikey, good morning, guys. I wanted to get your opinion on this taboo. Why is it more easily accepted for an older man to date a younger woman? But when the situation is reversed, it's a big deal. I'm 19 and my fiance is 40 and I'd really appreciate your comments. Wow. Wait, so who's 19, the girl or the guy? The guy. The guy is 19 and the woman is 40. Okay. Dude.
Wow. It's easier accepted for an older man to date a younger woman. But it's not easily accepted for a younger man to date an older woman. I don't know that our culture or society really thinks that in reverse it's all that cool either. I don't know that our society says, oh, they don't. If a 40-year-old dude was dating a 19-year-old girl. You know our society would be like frowned on. Yeah. Like, I think their point is valid in us maybe in, if we're talking five, ten year age difference. But once you go to like a 15, 20 year age difference, it doesn't matter what the genders are. We look at it as weird and creepy. Stop, because it's creeping me out. Let's see. Mikey, I'm 34. When we grew up, I wanted a Nintendo. It's P1 UPS Matt. Oh, yeah. Mikey, I wanted a He-Man action figure. That's P1 Little Mike. That's my inner child. Actually, text messaging. Well, you got it. I sure did. Stuff happened. Yes, it did. You've already been through it this morning. It's not. 726, December 25th, 1981. Let it go. Mikey, when I was growing up, I wish I had Castle Grayskull. That's P1 obese.
Don't know what a Castle Grayskull is. Do you guys know what that is? Dude. But you wanted the He-Man. How could you want the He-Man and not know what Castle Grayskull is? Was that associated with He-Man? Oh, man. I was a very disassociated child, so I kind of caught life in fragments, I think is an easy way to say it. Very sad. We do something called Sean TV here. We do? Yeah, we do. It has a theme song, and every once in a while, we like to change things up. Just a bit. You know what I'm saying? He might think that this was some sort of sabotage. But we've got to mix things up. The way I understand it, the way that the theme songs come up are in some sort of a lottery. So I don't know what's going to come up. It's not at all. I never know what's going to come up. See, I thought you just always picked and pushed the button. No, it's like a lottery. Whatever you get is what you get. My bad. I don't think it is.
That's really annoying. Sorry, everybody. Well, it's time for Sean TV. Oh, I'm so excited. Idea here is, Sean, our sound effects guy, watches everything on television, and I mean everything. I like TV, Mike. Yeah, he does. He's like Mike TV from Willy Wonka. Yeah, remember? Remember? True. Yeah, it's a lot like that. And so he watches everything on TV, and then he'll come on the air, and he'll tell us about some new stuff. And so, Sean, what do you got this week? Well, Mike, I thought we would, you know, it's the season finale of a show that I... What just happened? I'm sorry. Sean, it's okay. It's okay, Sean. It's all right. What just happened? Sean, start again. If you want to, I can do your theme over again. Let's try again. Let's try again. Let's try this again. Please don't mess up. Please, Sean. What do you got today, Sean? No, it's not playing again. Uh-oh. We better do that. Let's give him another chance. We'll give him another chance. Come on. I have no listeners now. Work out better this time. You know what I'm saying? Let's see if we get to it. Sean's got... Sean, just act out the clip. I'll be happy to.
So, Shawnee, what are you introducing us to? Mike, today we are going to go to the Bravo Network and a brand new show called Tabitha's Salon Makeover. Is that for real? Is that for real? Absolutely for real. Absolutely for real. On the Bravo Network, Tabitha's what? Tabitha's Salon Takeover, Mike. You've seen this show? Seen it. Love it. Fantastic show. It features Tabitha Coffey, who many of you may remember from the hit Bravo show, Sheer Genius. No, I know you don't. I don't even know what that is. Which, in fact, just wrapped up. Their season finale was a couple of weeks ago for season two. However, she's from season one, Mike, and she's a no-nonsense woman. She's a professional hairdresser. She owns a salon in Los Angeles. She's internationally known for her styling. Are you looking it up, Sky? Yeah, I'm on the website right now. Send me the link. Oh, my goodness. Go ahead. That's bravotv.com. And this woman is not afraid to voice her opinion. The premise of the show is a lot like Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. Is she British?
She's Australian, in fact. She sounds kind of British, though. And it's just like Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares, where she goes out to a salon and tries to fix what's going on. The cool thing, however, is that it works more like Ramsey's BBC version of the show. So it's a little bit more... It's smarter, if you will. Okay, yes. All right. Oh, really? That's what I've been looking for, a smart show about salons. Well, yeah, because you don't want your salon show sort of overwrought with schmaltz. Don't dumb it down. Yeah, yeah. Exactly, guys. Keep my salons smart. Yep. On the smart tip. That's right. So in this episode, she's dispatched to Images, a salon in Oyster Bay, New York. And she and the owner go out to say hello to the staff. These ladies have never met Tabitha before. Some have never even seen her before. This is their first introduction to Tabitha. She says hello to them. Josephine and I have been watching you today. And let me tell you, there are some problems in this salon. You're unprofessional. Rude. Your customer service is atrocious. Screaming across the salon. And I'm glad you find it amusing because it's actually not.
No, I don't think anything's funny. What, do you have that smoke on your face for? My smoke on his face is how professional the salon is when we have no help. Why don't you step up to the plate and be a professional hairdresser? And probably one of the first things that you could do would be to put some clothes on because you look like a bunch of fuel billies. Wow. Now, that helps. I'm assuming there's going to be some litigation from Gordon Ramsay as I listen to this clip. It does sound like there is some similarities between this show and Kitchen Nightmares. There are a couple, Mike. Like a donkey. That's right. But again, it's a smart show. Ah, yes. Ah, yes. So, Tabitha went around the salon to help each of the stylists and she would critique them as they go about their business. However, she wasn't too thrilled with one particular stylist who was doing a bad color job. In fact, she referred to her work as something out of the 80s. It kind of looks like the 80s, doesn't it? I did what I could to make her look good. I don't like how you're treating anybody here. I really don't. You're not treating us like a human being, first of all. And I feel like you're like an army soldier, and I feel like I entered a concentration camp. I don't like the comb slapping thing. I don't know what that is.
You're making yourself look like a spectacle. I'm not doing anything. And I don't have a patient camp setting, and I don't have a drill sergeant in front of me. That's a bit dramatic. But I have a manager, but not a drill sergeant. That's a bit dramatic. And you know what? I'm trying to be the creature of them all. No. Wow. You don't have the cure. Definitely. Definitely dramatic. Definitely dramatic. But Sean was saying how smart the show is. He said. That they don't dumb it down. The lady said that she felt like an army soldier in a concentration camp. And said that the woman is an animal.
from CNN or from Bravo? No. I can't tell. It's hard to tell. Not smart at all. I would say not smart. I would say not smart. That wasn't Nancy Grace. No, it was not. Not the Nancy Grace show. Definitely not to be confused. Mike, it's one of the smartest shows on TV. Out of his mind. Interesting. You can text us at 35253 if you want. Or call us at 570-1053. Well, that was something else. That's right. And Ashley. I'm a very messy person. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. It is 8.03. The government announced yesterday that they will step in and bail out insurance company AIG with a... $85 billion loan. The Houston Texans may play their next home game at Rice Stadium if repairs to Reliant Stadium are not fixed by October 5th. I wonder how bad is it? The roof is all jacked up. The roof is on fire. We don't give up. The roof is all jacked up. Good. So they got to fix it. October 3rd, they're saying. That's when they want it done. Let's see. This text message says, Mikey.
I don't know how you guys got Gwen Stefani to sing on the new Sean TV intro. Oh. I think that's pretty cool. Actually, guys, it was me. What? I know. No, that's Gwen Stefani. That's not Gwen Stefani. That is not Gwen Stefani. I'm the backups, too. Wow. Have you been going to a vocal coach? No. It's just me. It's you. It's just me. Skye, don't do this. Don't do this. It's just me. Oh, what? Duh. This next text message. It says, let's see. Mikey, I got stuck watching that Tabitha's Salon show with my girlfriend, and I have to admit, I'm hooked on it. Oh. Because it's so smart. Yeah, I've heard that. Smart ripoff. Mikey, iPod is for these kids what the Walkman was for us. I agree. Walkman was a big thing, and there was knockoff Walkmans. A Walkman was made by Sony.
So if you had the real thing, you had a Sony Walkman. Yeah, right. But no, most people couldn't. I'm not made of money. Am I Bill Clinton? But what most kids had was we had a cassette player, a mobile cassette player. You know, like a JVC mobile cassette audio, audio works, mobile cassette player. You know, that's how it always worked. Put in your cool mode D. What's up? That's right. Yeah. Go see the doctor. I think I've had a lot of Barry Manilow and Journey. Oh, that's weird. It doesn't surprise me. It was different than cool mode D. Most people. Mikey Sky doesn't understand limitations. Her mom let her grow weed at five years old. That's true. That is not true. My parents never let me grow weed. Now look at Sky. She needs a manservant, a chopper, three cars, and a mansion. I don't have any of those. I don't have any of those. Mikey, money does not buy happiness. Jet skis buy happiness. We all know that. That's a valid point. Easy. Money, money, money. That's right. Money, money, money. John McCain.
McGinn. McGinn. McGinn. John McCain on ESPN talking about Sarah Palin's past. Cut 24. There's been so much talk about Governor Palin's qualifications to the vice president. In her past life, she was a sportscaster. What from that might qualify her to be in the arena? You know what that means since she was a sportscaster? In America, anything is possible. You can come, Bob, from the depths of America to success. I'm glad I got that shot in. She has a grounding in athletics and the spirit of competition, and she's going to need it. First of all, you said that Sarah Palin in a past life was a sportscaster. That's not true. Oh, really? She was a me-cat. Jack Nicholson? Why don't you guys put it where the sun doesn't shine? I'm sorry they're doing that to John McCain. Trying to figure it out. This is John McCain. Oh. Hey.
Are you making tea? Yeah, take that off. I didn't know the Santa Anas were coming in this week. No, he's trying to talk. That's right, I just said something. Miley Cyrus is dating a 20-year-old? Mike, you're jumping to continue this with the word date. Okay, we can't throw away the... Throw around the word date all willy-nilly like that. She's friends with. They are hanging out. Oh, they're friends. Quite a few times. How old is she? Fifteen. Come on. You can't hang out with a 20-year-old. What if they're friends? That's still weird. That is weird. This guy, Justin, he was... Billy Ray, what's up? Well, check this out. Justin was a former contestant on Nashville Star. And Billy Ray hosts Nashville Star. So they're friends. So they're friends. What if we find out that they were friends since they were like little kids or something? There's still a five-year age difference. Yeah. If you're 15, you don't hang out with 10-year-olds. No. What if it's accompanied by Achy Breaky Dad? But it's not. We don't know. Well, no. I mean, they're photographed. I'm angry. Sometimes he's invisible. You don't know. He has that power? Yeah. Achy Breaky.
Invisibility. Yeah, he's got an achy, breaky invisibility cloak. He made his career disappear for a little while. That's true. Quite a trip. He's back. Permanently. Let's see. Chula Vista. The city manager has been fired over inappropriate images on his work computer. Oh, come on. How'd this go down? Let the romance begin. Send him an email. What's the big deal? Yeah. What did he do? Well, this has been going on for a little while. Now, they spent quite... What are we talking, the desktop here? Is that what we're talking, the desktop? I don't know. His work computer, whatever that is. I don't know if it's a laptop or a desktop. But Chula Vista spent about a year doing a nationwide... Oh, boy. She did it nationwide. Oh, boy. Well said. A nation. I used to have nationwide insurance. It is pronounced nation in some circles. A nationwide search. If I can make a reservation, then we can be living in a great nation. Did you ever read Fast Food Nation? That's right. Really good. Wonderful. Really good. The city of Chula Vista. Screw you, Raider Nation. That's right.
Stop it. In Chula Vista, this man. Can we all calm down a little bit, please? Let's do this, Sky. What do you got? How's it pronounced? So they did a year-long nationwide search for the city manager position because it's one of the highest paid jobs in Chula Vista government. The guy was pulling in over $200,000 a year. Wow. Yeah, he'd only been there for... You know, pocket change. Yes. Trump change. What I carry in my change purse. That's right. You know, what's sitting in my ashtray. So this guy had only had the job for about 15 months when people started to complain, other co-workers, that he was looking at inappropriate images on his computer. So they did an investigation. Some of the things that he was looking at, he would spend a lot of time on Pam Anderson's website. Pictures. of Pam Anderson as well as downloading pictures of other women. He's guilty of bad taste. Yeah, so they went back and forth about what to do with this guy, but finally last night the Chula Vista City Council decided to fire him and he will not get severance. He's also really into Daisy Fuentes. He's just into the 90s. What do you want from this guy? Wow.
KathyIsland.com. Very good. KathyIsland.com. That's right. So sexy. That's a good one. That's right. L. McPherson. Yep. He just got rid of PaulinaPorsicova.com because he was like, that's old. I'm out. That's old. Come on. Oh, yeah. Jeff Foxworthy's doing an animated NASCAR TV show pilot for Fox. Yeah, he just signed a deal with Fox. And he's going to be able to look like, Mike, come on. Is that a sign you think? Apocalypse? For sure. Yeah, he signed a deal with Fox to do the pilot for an animated comedy that's going to be centered on a dysfunctional family set in the world of NASCAR racing. You've got to be kidding me. Want to hear the most annoying sound in the world? Let's see. Gordon Ramsay, he signed on with Fox. For two more seasons. Of which show? What show? Kitchen Nightmares? Hell's Kitchen? Let's calm down. Both? I want Kitchen Nightmares. They're both great. He has signed a deal for at least two more seasons of Hell's Kitchen. Yes. One season of Kitchen Nightmares, an untitled special, and a new series. Oh, wow. A new series. That's what they said. How about that? Sky has what we call new releases. Oh.
I do, I do, I do. What this is. You're so fancy. That's right. Well, thank you. It's stuff that's out this week and brand new in stores. We're talking music. We're talking video games. Yeah, the Force Unleashed. Yeah. We're talking DVD. What do we got here, Sky? What do you got, Sky? What are we talking? Come on, Sky. Say it. What is it? Well, it's already been announced. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It's already been announced. Eddie, Eddie, Eddie already announced it. Come on. Talk about it. Say it. Okay, well, out on video game this week, we have Star Wars The Force Unleashed for me, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, and the PSD. Nice. You know what it is? What? You play Darth Vader's Apprentice. Really? That's so awesome. And you're, like, really, like, awesome. That's cool. But you're a bad guy. That's cool. Yeah. But he, like, teaches you and everything? Yeah, you got the strong, the force is strong with you. There you go. And so you're really jacking people up. Really cool. That's cool. Also out this week, we have Rock Band 2 for Xbox 360. Awesome. All it is is it wants to be Guitar Hero, but it isn't, right? Well, it's more. It's everything.
Drums and sing. It's so stupid. When are we starting our band, Rob? Oh, never. I'm so against it. No. Come over. We'll play. Rob hates it. Oh, I can't sing. Come on. I call drums. And it's the most... No, you're a bass player. You know that. Oh, yeah, right. But I want to play triangle, too. All right. Don't we all? Well, also out on video game this week, Armored Core for answers for the PS3. Armored Core. Yep. for answers. All right. And that's it for video games. I guess nobody really wanted to compete with Star Wars this week. You can't. So what can you do? It's impossible. That's right. Okay, new music. Now, this was technically released on Friday, but, you know, here in the U.S. You're technically released on Friday. Metallica with Dash Magnetic. Thank you. Metallica. Oh, God. Would you like to supersize that for 45 more cents? No! Would you like to try a tasty cinnamon roll with that? Yeah, give me two cinnamon rolls. Get the McRib. Oh. Oh, and the McRib. Yes. I like an order. So good. Try the second one, please. Cherry's Jubilee. Oh. In a cherry!
Why am I inside? Why do you get inside? Why do you get inside? The chance you believe. He's got to add the yah. Everything, right? Every time. Ever since you pointed that out, Mike. You hear the yah. It's all I hear. That's what makes it Metallica. Emphasis, man. He's got to have it. So funny. That's funny. Also, with the new album this week, we have Neo with Year of the Gentleman. Yeah. Ooh, that sounds good. That's instantly pleasant to the ears. And this is the guy doing New Kids on the Block. He's in their scene. Yeah, yeah. This is Neo. He's the part that makes it real cool. Yeah, that sounds good to me. What else is out there? Nelly with brass knuckles. Nelly? Nelly! Oh, Nelly. Oh, hell. I love Usher.
I'm not even cool enough to get that joke. I'm not even cool enough. It was a good one, buddy. Dude. Yeah, you would have enjoyed it. I want so bad to get that. You know how you always make that Blink-182 joke? Yeah. Usher pretty much set the tone for all these guys. Really? So he, like, originated kind of that sound, and then they all started following? Yeah, I mean, they all sound the same, all those guys. Yep. Okay, also out this week, Avenged Sevenfold with Live in the LBC. I do not have an Avenged Sevenfold clip here, but I'm sure that it sounds terrific. Okay, great. Buck Cherry with Black Butterfly. Seems like the music, at least from when I remember when it first came out. It seems like it's really maturing because, you know, like they're sort of all growing up. And so as they grow, the music grows with them. And it evolves, you know. And so this is just a place in their life that they are right now because they've gotten older, you know. They're growing up and you can hear it. Definitely mature. Definitely, yeah, taking that leap. There you go. It's a very smart sound. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
The think piece. Set on gin and juice. Hey, listen, we laugh. It is recorded in a Volvo with two kids in the back seat. I think we wrote that song in the 90s. I thought so, too. I thought so, too. Well, we've all been waiting for another album from another American Idol reject. So we have one this week. Who? Christy Lee Cook with Why Wait. Is she the one with the curly blonde hair? Yeah. You can't see. Had to sell her whore so she could go on American Idol. Oh, that guy? And then the girl. The girl is so rude. It's country music, right? Talking about eating beans at the beginning of the song? Spilling beans. Spilling beans. Okay. And it's a shame. It's like a play on... Yeah, that's a smart piece. That's right. And then finally with new... Brain science. That's right. Rocket surgery.
And then finally, with the album out this week, Ashley will be really excited to know that Darius Rucker has kicked off his solo career with the album Learn to Live. Okay, this is not on the album. It is. It's the title track. You know what? You're just taking the opportunities. This is classic work. I may buy this one. Yeah. I had no idea. A black guy singing like a white guy, singing like a black guy, singing like a white guy. He doesn't care about black people. Well, it isn't. It's Darius Rucker, and he'd like you to know that he's not. This isn't a booty around. Yeah, there's no blowfish standing around this place. Do you know anything about chocolate? Well, that's all I'm trying to tell you. That's brutal. All right, new DVDs out this week. What do we got?
Speed Racer. Anyone rushing out to the stores to buy that? Not so much, I don't think. Okay, how about the Love Guru? Anyone? Not so much on that one either, I guess. Maid of Honor. Patrick Dempsey. You don't need to flip me off. The wife says I have to get that for her on Netflix. And I refuse. I won't do it. It's already in my queue, bro. Stand your ground. I'm not going to do it. Stand your ground. Why? It's her Netflix, too. No, it isn't. It's under my name. But you guys are married now. You're a team. It's a joint Netflix account. So only you get to pick the movies you guys watch? Well, I have great taste. That's true. That's very true. That's jacked up, Eddie. I just got one of the Oscar-worthy movies, Harold and Kumar, Escape from Guantanamo Bay. I support that pick. I support that pick. Thank you. Booyah. I know what's up. But sometimes she needs to make picks as well. No, no, Maid of Honor. In your face, guy. I'm going to watch it. Here is one of the poignant scenes in the movie Maid of Honor. I have the wrong movie in the DVD player. You're watching Maid in Manhattan. Yeah, I just played and it turns out this is Maid in Manhattan. That's not good. I didn't know. I probably should have checked.
You're probably disappointed. I'm extremely disappointed. Oh, yeah. I pressed the wrong DVD player. Now we got this movie. It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. Is there more? Is that it? That's it. Oh, there's more. Well, let's take a quick time out. We'll come back. We'll finish up the list. Can I just run through them real quick? Because it'll be a letdown if we come back. Oh. I mean, it's just a couple. Why? They're not that big? Well, no. I have one more movie and then TV shows. Go ahead. The other movie is 88 Minutes, Al Pacino. Great. TV shows to DVD. You didn't let us come back and do 88 Minutes. I'm sorry, Mike. What's the matter with you? I apologize. TV shows, Pushing Daisies, first season, Chuck, first season, Will and Grace, season eight, Criminal Minds, season three, Private Practice, season one, Dirty, Sexy, Money, season one, and Sean, Star Trek, Alternative Realities, out this week. Are you going to cry? Of course. That episode is on that one. No way. I don't know why the governor is so mad, but he's mad. He's like vetoing budgets here in California. He's freaking out. So we got audio of him talking about it. We'll do it next. Counting like Thor's hammer on Dr. Doomsday King infused face paint. Rock.

by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. I still have some tough spots on our freeways. A couple of accidents wrapping up in the South 15. Still very slow, though. Off to 78 down the Via Rancho Parkway. Another slow ride from Rancho Bernardo down into Poway still. The westbound 56 still stacking up as well. From Camino del Sur all the way to the 5 connector. Heading south on that 5, you'll find some brake lights hanging on here out of Encinitas down towards Manchester. 52 west of the Santee, a little bit slow, still coming up that hill. The westbound 8 still bunching up here starting out in the East County from Spring Street out towards Lake Murray and La Mesa. And then heavier still as you come in towards Mission Gorge Road. And that's a slow ride out to Texas Street. West 94 on the King Freeway. Watch for the brake lights around just past Euclid Avenue. From there, it's a solid slow struggle all the way into downtown. Things are improving a little bit out of the south base. Some better looking speeds breaking up on both the 5 and the 805. But still quite tough up through National City. The 805 especially. Heavy off and on all the way up to Mesa College. And then again out of Kearney Mesa heading up over the 52. And northbound 5 is also seeing some slow traffic as you come into downtown.
Then again, pretty much right around SeaWorld Drive in Emission Bay before you back up to speed. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rocco to 5.3. From the Cricket Wireless Studios. You guys show the best there is. Before we opened the microphone, said, this must be the worst song of all time. That's crazy. What is this? That had to have. From the 80s. Are you not a fan of the movie Rad? I've never seen said movie. There's a movie called Rad? Yeah. What is it? It's a bike movie. Really? I didn't know that. Yeah, and this song was in that movie, Send Me an Angel by the awesome band.
Real Life. Real Life actually opened for the band Van Halen. Wow. You want to know why? Why? Because Eddie Van Halen was working on producing their new album. And when I saw Van Halen for the very first time, it was for the 5150 tour. And BTO, Bachman Turner Overdrive. Yes. was the main opening act, but the band that, like, started the show at, like, you know, two in the afternoon was Real Life. Wow. And then after they were done playing, BTO came on stage and did their Ain't Seen Nothing Yet. Nah, nah, ba-ba-ba-baby. And they had another one. What was it? It was Ain't Seen Nothing Yet and what else? I thought I had a woman. No.
That is ain't seen nothing yet. Wait, who are we talking about? BTO. Bachman Turner Overdrive. The boys are back in town? No, that was taking care of business. That's it. Yes, work in overtime. Get to the work in overtime. Work in overtime. Yeah, put it up here for me. What the heck? All right. You know that song. Work in overtime. Well, I know the song. Work in overtime. Word up. Okay, well, I mean, why are you guys freaking out? Get to the work in overtime. I want to play the track record. Well, that's not the triangle. That's actually piano keys right there. No, that's the triangle. All triangle, dude. All triangle. Sounds like piano. They know how to make it sound like piano. Yeah. They're good. They're pros. BTO. And then above it put Ain't Seen Nothing Yet. Zethi announced. Yet. But Ain't Seen Nothing Yet above it. What is Rob doing? Dancing.
Looks kind of like a seizure. Somebody better put a spoon in his mouth. Put that spoon in my mouth. Feed me some more. More overtime. Oh, you got this. Good song, too. Yeah. I always thought that Steve Miller bands would have sued them. Yeah, yeah, for sure. Yeah, what was Steve Miller's thing? He did. Sound the same. Yeah. The Joker. The Joker. Yeah. But didn't he also have one that was kind of similar to doing the baby? Yes. But he did. Yeah. Remember when we saw Van Halen and they had Alice in Chains and Skid Row open? Oh. And Alice in Chains got booed off the stage. Wow. That was a great bill, but. No way. I don't know what the deal was. Alice in Chains was just out and nobody knew who they were at Shoreline Amphitheater. No way.
Me and Mike did, though. We were rocking out. That's right. With our mullets. Yeah. They got booed out of there. Yeah, I remember seeing Maroon 5 open for OAR, and everybody's like, can we get OAR on yet? Maroon 5? Who is this Maroon 5? Eddie's looking at me right now like, Mike, what kind of example is that? That's a great example. I mean, we were talking about rad rock bands. Maroon 5? No one knows Maroon 5? And the Orr? Like, who's Orr? It's O-A-R. I've never heard of that. It's O-A-R. Of a revolution. We heard you spell it. You don't have to spell it out. We're not stupid. We get it. We don't have to pronounce words. We don't have to say words. Maru 5, open for them. Who cares? And back in the 60s, your dad saw the W-H-O. We get it. We get it. All right. Just saying, bro. Brutal. Dummies around here. You're brutal. 570-1053. It's our phone number. It's true. Let's see. I got some cool emails here. Listen to this. Why don't you guys weigh in on this sucker? Let me dip my toe in. Take a bite out of this crime. Test the waters. See what you think of this, Eddie. Tell me if it's too cold. It's a little chilly. Go ahead.
I'm really upset with my husband. I want to see if I was crazy or if I have the right to be mad. She's crazy. No doubt about it. No doubt about it. I haven't heard it yet. I'm going to tell you on the first sentence, anybody's got a right to be mad. So I express it, right, Sky? Eddie, right? Says, we just bought a house in Poway and I've been moving in for a month. That's tough. We need to do that. Let's get in there. In our old garage. He used to have a bunch of girly calendars and posters and stuff. I felt like I couldn't say anything because it was his place before we got married, and then I moved in. But now this is our first house together, and I really didn't want our neighbors to see into our garage a bunch of half-naked women. I went into the garage yesterday and saw that he put them up anyway. Good for you, bro.
I asked him about it and he said that I was overreacting and that it's no big deal. He said that he is the only one that goes in the garage and he should have the right to put up his own stuff. What do you mean amen brother? I guess would be, you know. No, Eddie was right. Lovers. Yes. Am I overreacting or do I have the right to say something about it? That was an overreaction. Let me know what you guys think. That's P1 Molly. Well, listen here, Molly Jolly. It's a very sing-song. It's a very sing-song. Like the Alamo. That's right. It's like the Alamo. It's like saying the word the Alamo. The Alamo. Molly. Molly. Yeah, Eddie and I are going to disagree on this one. I say. How do you know? Well, you say. I haven't even said my opinion yet. You said spider. You said spider. We could be exactly the same. No way. You already said, Eddie. You did already. You already said. Oh, yeah. Shoot him in the foot, Mike. Wait, what? Well, listen. It's their house now. It's not just his house. Come on. We know who paid for it.
You don't know nothing, clown. You sexist pig. Well said. Let's do the math. Well, wait a second. That is to say, that is to say, in Eddie's example, that the person that makes the most money is the one that is the person in charge. Yeah, the captain. Only a Neanderthal. would think something like that. You don't even know how to pronounce that word. I just did pronounce it. She did. She can't spell it, Eddie. That's the deal. She can say it. I can pronounce it, and I know what it means, okay? I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. Now, listen, my wife is a stay-at-home mom, and so technically she doesn't have an income, but she has 50-50 say. Oh, that's cute. That is cute. That is cute. You're a good guy, Mike. That is awesome. That is the way it should be. We're married. Regardless of who makes what, it should be 50-50. That is absolutely adorable. Listen, here's my thought process on this. Eddie, you talked me through it. I am married to my wife. We both live there. You own the house, right? No, we own the house.
In fact, if we got a divorce, I'd find that out real quick. That's true, but that's the crazy system. No, the bottom line is that if we were looking at it like a nest, it's ours. It's our nest. But you built it. No, no, no. No, no, no. We are a family, which means that we built it. That's so awesome. Why did he laugh when he says that, Mike? It's so condescending. It's so 2008. That's great. Wait a minute. I mean, I don't know. It is great. But you say it mockingly. But even in 1957, the concept of we're married existed, Eddie. Yeah, it did. But the man's name was on the title of the house. Oh, yeah. That is correct. But hopefully, if he was a good man, he... Let the lady live there with you. Get in charge of rent. Why did they not get it? You guys are listening to us, right? I wish I was tuned out. Yeah, I think that P1 Molly is probably very hurt. I think that her feelings are probably very hurt. That's heavy.
Now we're not allowed to have feelings either. I mean, come on. What's next? Feelings first. What's next? First we can't own homes. We can't own homes. We can't have a say in anything. You get to vote. Are you saying shouldn't that be enough, Eddie? What else do they want? We gave them that. Now they want more. Give it in. Typical woman. I am going to vomit on you. Yeah, I think that this is an example of hurt feelings. Listen, you both live there. You have your say. And some stuff you give on, some stuff you are a little bit stronger on. And she, the same thing. Sometimes she's going to feel stronger about this, less about this. It's a give and take. Symbiotic relationship. Well, not in any way, shape or form. It's a symbiotic relationship. But yeah, I think that if she doesn't, well, first of all, if we're talking girly magazines that he put out in the garage, if it hurts her feelings, then girly magazines got to come down.
Because you don't want to purposefully hurt somebody. Why would you put up a magazine? That doesn't make any sense. You know what he meant, bro. I don't know why he's doing it. He's putting up girly magazines, right? You mean posters or calendars. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right. I mean, how do you even put up a magazine? Well, you just take it and, you know, you take it and you stick a nail gun in it. Who does that? Super glue. That's really weird. Elmer's wood. Nobody does that, though. So that's my thoughts and my feelings on that one. Eddie, it sounds like you feel differently. Uh, no, Mike, obviously just kidding. And I actually agree with you a hundred percent. I mean, I think that you have to compromise. Duh. Yeah. I mean, that's what a marriage is. And, uh, you know, I think she's being a little silly about, you know, that request. Uh, cause I mean, if he's not hurting anybody and nobody, and if her concern is like people can see in the garage and he's saying, no, they can't. Then I, you know, it's like, I don't know who to believe. But, you know, what can you do? I mean, if that's what she wants, dude, save yourself the grief and don't put them up. Now, you got to walk through that thought, by the way. When she says people can see in, you got to continue that thought process for her to understand where she's coming from. If neighbors look into the garage and see the girly posters up, that says to the neighbors, my husband.
has his eyes on other chicks besides just me. He digs other... I'm not enough. That's what it says. Oh, come on. That's silly. I'm just telling you what goes on in a woman's mind. I'm a lady. I can tell you this. I think that what goes on in a woman's mind, I think it's partly... I could be wrong. I'm just throwing it out there for argument's sake. They're embarrassed. They don't want a guy to see them. Guys like mechanics and firemen and stuff like that, they put up Pam Anderson's calendar or whoever's relevant. If she's saying, I don't want anybody to look in and see it, what is it about people looking in and seeing it? Do you really think that's what she's concerned about? She's embarrassed. Or she just doesn't want them up? Well, I can tell you firsthand because that's happened to me. I think both. I think that there's two things going on. Because you know me, I always go, what's it really about? For sure. I'm just trying to go. If she says that she doesn't want people to see it, because, see, I don't think that if they were out in the middle of the wilderness, it would bother her any less. Right. Still going to bother her. And there's nobody looking in. But I do think that there's a little bit. She doesn't want it. I think there's a little bit of embarrassment. You know why? Because the neighbor ladies, their husbands, maybe they don't have that up in their garage. Sky, what do you think?
Well, I experienced this firsthand. Oh, what's up, Boo? The Boo knows the garage is his domain. And in our last house, which, you know, we didn't live in like a senior citizen neighborhood, but it basically should have been because, you know, all our neighbors were senior citizens. And the Boo's always working in the garage, always has the garage door open. And one day, Charlene wandered over. Oh, no, Charlene is a busybody. 87-year-old. Charlene rolls into the garage and we got the bikini calendars up. She had a heart attack. And I saw the look on her face change when her eyes saw, you know, made contact with the bikini girl. And I did. I felt embarrassed. Yeah. I felt embarrassed. Did you feel judged? A little bit. A little judged. Like, you know, you really let your husband hang these things around. That's what I was getting at. I think that women feel judged. That makes sense to me. They think that other ladies are going to look in there and see that. And what's that going to say about me? Right. Or us. You let me do something? No, grown man. You don't need to let me. I don't need permission to. We can talk about it. You know what I mean? You let me. I agree with that. I agree. I think that the phrasing of it is a little.
You know, demeaning. Mike, I'm a grown-ass man. Yeah, it's disrespectful to say. But you told me that you don't let your wife order Maid of Honor on the Netflix. What's the difference in that? Well, I'm the man. Oh, my gosh. We discussed it, and I just decided that I don't want to watch that movie. Well, how's that a discussion if you decided? So you're like not letting her. That was the final decision. You said that. You wouldn't let her rent it. Who said that? You did, you jerk. Good for you, finally. You got to stand up for your man rights. That's good to see in 2008. 570-1053. Text us at 35253. P1 Melina. Hi. I just wanted to say that P1 Molly is completely overreacting. There we go. It was an overreaction is what you're saying. That's a complete overreaction. That was an overreaction. I don't know if it's all kind of paluders in my father's garage my whole life, and I've seen nothing wrong with it. Now, check it out. Let me ask you a question. Was your dad a handyman? Somewhat, yeah. And did your dad have a toolbox?
Yes. Okay. And so, is it fair to say that you grew up around toolboxes? Yes. Okay. You could hear in the tone, she just got where you're going. So, Melina, is it safe to say that maybe you're kind of used to seeing the toolboxes around the house and everything, and you kind of grew up in that environment, and so... That may seem a little bit normal to you. Did your dad ever hunt? Did he ever hunt? No. Was he a fisherman? No. Did your dad enjoy a good steak every now and then? All the time. Okay. Let's say that you married somebody or you heard about somebody who, growing up their whole life, they didn't eat meat. In fact, eating meat was a terrible thing to do. Those are animals. This ain't what I believe or anything, but let's say that's the way they grew up. How can you say to that person that they're wrong, overreacting, or freaking out if they are raised in a certain way that is different than the way that you were raised? That's a completely different thing, though, because we're talking about a calendar.
Yeah, Mike. Right. And the calendar is inappropriate. Right. That's what they're saying. They're saying the calendar is inappropriate. Right. Just like a vegetarian, it would be inappropriate to have a big steak dinner. Yeah. In their house. You go to Saudi Arabia and try and hang those calendars around and see how people react. It's the way you're raised. How do you feel? Very clearly, Melina, you don't have a sensitivity to it because you grew up around it. Yeah, you're Saudi Arabian. No, I said go there. I think that's the point. You're Saudi Arabian, right? I get it now. Get back in your burka. But there is no sensitivity. You don't have a sensitivity. You've been desensitized. But if you've grown up in a house where dad... didn't have any pictures around except for pictures of mom. Or Saudi Arabia. Or Saudi Arabia. Naps of Saudi Arabia. If you grew up that way, then to be in an environment where it's the opposite might make you uncomfortable. I still don't see why it's such a big deal. Men have fantasies, whether they're married or not. Yeah. And some of those calendars somewhat portray said fantasies.
So that makes, do you think that since that is a fact, what you just said, that is a fact, does that make it right? I don't think it makes it wrong. Okay. That's fair. That's fair. And again, this is in your, when you were growing up, that's the way it was. And that's cool, man. I mean, that's fair. In your world, that wouldn't be wrong. There are some people, listen, I'll tell you, the way that I grew up. When you were seven years old, I was watching R-rated, X-rated, anything that was on television, I was watching. That's crazy. My parents didn't monitor me. I was watching anything. That's the environment I grew up in. And as I grew up, in terms of the stuff that I watched, there was no boundaries. I was watching anything. I was watching anything and everything because I didn't grow up around it. Now, there may be somebody else. For instance, Jake Esparza. Oh. My kid. There will be some boundaries. In terms of what dude watches. And so everybody grows up in their own different environment. And everybody's comfortable with the environment that they grew up in. But I say to you, bravo, man. You were real clear about it. Nothing wrong with it. That's the way you grew up. That's cool. Yeah, you keep being you, sweetie. Yeah. You're being you. Thank you, Melina. I appreciate it. P1 Natalie. Uh-oh.
Hi, I have a solution for Miss Molly. Go ahead. This will stop those posters from being posting no longer in the garage of her in her sewing room or her laundry room or what have you. Post hot pictures of men in swimsuits or underwear models or what have you. Two wrongs make it right. I heard that. I've always heard that. It works very well. I've always heard it works well. Oh, payback, sucker. What marriage is all about. Thank you, Natalie. P1 John? Yes. Go ahead. You're on the air. Yes. I'd just like to say that it doesn't really matter. You know, my wife earns more than I do. But you know what? We still have... Very equitable things. I still have things in the past in my garage. I was a huge sports fan, played rugby for 13 years. Total animal. And the thing is, you know, it doesn't matter. Wait, what did he say? What did he say? Well, he described himself as a total animal. Yeah. Well, he played rugby. There you go. Totally. I think that's awesome. The point is that, you know, it's a 50-50 relationship. And, you know, we both own the house. That's fine. What's hers is hers. What's mine is fine. It's very autonomous.
Man, you got a good vocabulary. Well, he's an animal. He's an animal. When it comes to vocabulary. I think I like a lot of what I understood you to say. All right. Thank you, P1 John. Hey, Trevor. Yes. Hey, I just want to say, are you kidding me? Having a stamp on posters garage is not like raining like revelations, you know? Wait, wait, wait. I don't understand. What does that mean? Well, you're going to wash everything away. I don't understand. Say it a different way so I can understand. Okay. Well, having a snap-on tool poster in the garage is not going to kill your relationship or anything like that. I mean, I've worked on diesel trucks throughout my life, and my wife comes out there and, like, it's totally ignored. Like, I mean, it's not like I'm out there, you know, gratifying myself, you know, to that. I mean, it's just...
Question. I got a question. What if she said to you, I wish you would take those down? Okay, repeat that, sorry. What if she said to you, I wish you would take those down? Then what? It's a thing that we get for... Eddie's like, wait a second, that don't make sense. Yeah, that sounds totally, it sounded like you were sort of like, hey, what's the big deal? What's the big deal? Well, I mean, it kind of is what's the big deal. I would ask her, hey, you know, what's the big deal? And she's not the type of person. I'll be your wife. Oh, no. Yes. Uh-oh. Yes. This is awkward. I'm calling you on the job, honey. I'll be your wife. Are you ready? Mickey Mouse? Mickey Mouse. Yeah. Honey? Yes? I just went out to take the laundry out and to do laundry in the garage. I'd never noticed it before, but I saw a snap-on tool poster. Don't know how I missed it, but I saw it, and I'd like you to take it down. As long as we're in the boudoir, that is fun, honey. Oh, yeah, anything in the boudoir for you, honey, so you'll take it down as soon as you get home? Should I take the snap-on tool down in the... In the sitting room? No, no, I mean, honestly...
They're in the garage and stuff like that, and she has not asked. Don't break character with me, mister. Hey, we're role-playing here. We're role-playing here, man. Come on, Pluto. You get back here. Listen, I don't know where he seems like he's coming from two different places. On one hand, he's saying, hey, what's the big deal? And on the other hand, I go, so what would you do if she asked you to take him down? He's like, oh, I take him down. No, no, no, no. You're right. I am coming from two different places. But at the same time, like, she would never ask me to take them down. He's saying his wife isn't the type. She honestly doesn't care. His wife not caring doesn't make the fact. Right. You know what I mean? It just means that she doesn't care. But that doesn't mean that for all women it shouldn't matter. Who cares? You're right. It's like getting a top baseball card back in the day. You know, with a crappy piece of gum. It doesn't matter, you know, like what cards you get. You're still chewing that crappy piece of gum. Not to say that's my wife, but... I don't understand. You totally lost me. Oh, I love these guys around you. Trevor, you totally lost me. You got to walk me through it, though, because I know there's something there. Okay, okay, okay. Say, say, okay, 1989. Uh-huh. You go and you can buy a pack of Hershey's Kisses, which came with Tom's baseball cards and the crappy piece of gum.
You get the Tony Gwynn, right? Uh-huh. You get the Tony Gwynn. Yep. That's your wife. You chew the piece of crappy gum for a little bit, for a little bit. Then you spit it out. That is, I don't know where I'm going with this. I don't either. I don't either. Your wife is a crappy piece of gum? I don't, yeah, I'm trying to figure out what's the crappy piece of gum. And then who's the Hershey kiss? Okay, okay, okay. Why is Tony Gwynn? Why is he kissing her? That is a snap-on tool. up onto a calendar is a crappy piece of gum. Tony Gwynn is your wife. That's better. Tony Gwynn would never ask you. I've met him at Tony Roma's before with his son. This is just a name-dropping opportunity. It's just simply a name-dropping opportunity going on right now. I will name-drop Tony Gwynn wherever I have possible, but Tony Gwynn. We better answer this. Oh, yes. Could be important. Somebody there? Oh, hey, guys. It's Dr. Wayne. Oh, wait. What's up, Dr. Wayne? You all right? Oh, no. Yeah, I was calling in because I heard you guys talking about this, and I got those girly posters up all over the place. My wife don't give two. Oh, yeah. I doubt that. We don't give two what's up around hearers about it. Really? Who do you have hanging up?
Oh. I got the Baywatchers up there right now. The Baywatchers. Yeah, they're awesome. And I got the... Hasselhoff doesn't count. I got the girls of Kansas State up there right now. Girls of Kansas State. That's right. That's really weird. I got the girls of Western movies, and I got a whole bunch of... No, there are no girls in Western movies. Look at this one. The girls of big-breasted town. Okay. I'll tell you what, that's my favorite one right there. I'm doubting. Anything with a big-breasted woman is good for me. Really? I love those girly posters out in the garage. I just wanted to invite Seth to come over and help put up some more of those pictures of the girls. Really? Dr. Wayne. Maybe he'll show up. That's right. I got to go out there and take down all the old ones. I still have old Kennedy from MTV up there. Kennedy. Weird. Really weird. That's weird. Got to take that one down. Anyway, nice talking to you guys. Okay, don't throw it. What do you think it's Zeth 3? What? Hello. What did he say? I think he said, what are you thinking, Zeth 3? Is that what he said? That at 3 p.m. they're going to... Oh, 3 p.m. It's a deal that they're going to...

Is it moderate or does it hurt bad or how is it? Yeah, you didn't hear me. I'm coming back and playing next week. Yeah. Nice. I wish, man.
Eddie was kind of singing it in his lower register. Welcome back. It is 9.15. Showing his range. Because now he's singing it in a little bit of a higher register. Eddie, maybe you can fill in. You got it, baby. Streak scene organizers are scrambling today for a replacement after Saturday's headliner, The Black Rose, canceled at the last minute. You got it. I'll play with spoons. This is, I don't, Rob, please. We're friends, but there is. No doubt anymore who's in first place, Mike. Tampa Bay beat the Red Sox 2-1 last night. Rod just winced. And now hold the advantage in the AL East. It happens. It's one game. We've got another game tonight. Only like 10 more games, Rob. Red Sox have 11. Okay. Rays have 13. Really? Mm-hmm. Oh. Hodges only have 10 games left. And they have to go 5-5 to not lose 100 games. I heard that. Are you serious? They have to go 500.
To not lose 100 games. At this point, don't you kind of want to lose 100 games just to say you did it? No, no. I mean, if you're going to be the best at something, be the best at being there. Go after it, you know what I mean? Hey, Mikey, if this guy that you just talked about wants to put up posters in the garage, all good. Wife can put posters up in the kitchen. They'll call it even. It's P1Z. He assumes that's where she is. Oh, yeah. He assumes that's where women are. She's in the kitchen. In the laundry room. Mikey, isn't it just disrespectful to have photos of another woman on the walls? That's P1 Rob. I think so. I think that my lady would feel disrespected. I think I'd feel disrespected. It probably just depends on how ugly your wife is. Okay, that would be a strange way to be looking at it. This text says, what's up, guys? Think about it. Wives get the final word on how the house goes. Can't we have the garage? That's P1 dog. Who says the wife has the final say of how the house goes? I agree. Society. It's 50-50. Well, listen, we just did our house and my wife called the shots on it. But if I would have really objected to something, then we wouldn't have done it. You know, maybe some of the stuff wasn't my favorite. In the end, she was right anyway. Yeah, she pretty much always is.
I would not go that far, Scott. You're definitely... Man. I'm just saying. Rebecca gets it. But you just go with what makes you comfortable. Just go with the Flo, man. Just go with the Flobie. You know what I'm saying? Flobie? I wonder if they still make Flobie. Cut Rob's hair with a Flobie. Anything. A lawnmower. I don't care at this point. Sheep shears. Sheep shears. It's going to look good one day. Where do we get some of those in? Define one day. By my birthday. That's November, bro. Yeah. Right around the corner. No. Yeah, it is, dude. You getting excited? All right. Listen to this one. This text says, Mikey, give me a break. It's not like Sky doesn't have posters of ham up in her garage, and we all know it. It's a pretty one I love. There it is. Unbelievable. By the way, Mike, the Flowbee is still available. Nice. How much are they? Let's see. A good Flowbee going for these days. Are you on Flowbee.com? What do we got? I am $39.95. That's a deal. You guys think that's not bad? In three uses, it pays for itself. That's true. I love how you said that. Well, it's true. I guess it's just as a device, it's not that, you know.
Have you ever used it? Have you ever used it? It's just a piece of plastic. What do you mean? No, it's not. It's a little vacuum thing. Look at this. I thought it was just an attachment for your vacuum. Oh, Mike, that would be ghetto. Come on. Let's see. Well, you can get it with the little vacuum or without. Let's see. If you get it with the little vacuum, it's $100. Oh, wow. For those of you that don't know, like if you're just waking up from a coma and you've been in it for 47 years, a Flowbee is a haircutting device that uses suction from a vacuum, sucks your hair up into a little tube, and then cuts your hair. It's awesome. In fact... Tell me that this guy in the picture's hairstyle isn't exactly what Rob has right now. You guys are ridiculous. Skye, come inspect this guy. You got him right there? I think Rob looks more like the chick in the picture below that guy, but maybe I'm just. Totally. Yeah, I think that's more of Rob's hair. Absolutely. But, you know, whatever works. Man. Rob, you should grow. You should cut off. I have a suggestion. Okay.
Cool suggestion for you. Oh, yeah, right. I suggest taking off the goat. Just hear me out. Hear me out. Here we go. Take off the bottom part of the goat and grow the mustache like Anchorman. I can't. Why? What you see... What we see right now is as good as it gets? Yeah, dude. No, it won't get longer than that? Nah. Yeah, right now it looks like Pedro from... I know. It looks like Patriot from Napoleon Dynamite. Yeah, my facial hair. So many problems with it. It doesn't really grow in right, you know? Like, I can get the full neck beard, but it's patchy up top. And my mustache. You just have a lot of hair problems. Sweet. I do. Let's do the Ashley Eating Competition draft. I love it. It's hot. Tomorrow, Ashley's going to be involved in another eating competition. She's done this before. Yeah. Mommy gets hungry. Do we know what it's going to be? Mm-hmm. We do? Mm-hmm. She's gnawing on her fist right now. That's right. What is that? So hungry, your stomach's eating your liver. I need food. Ashley does eating competitions against people. Yeah, I'm real good, Mike. So far, she's done Marshies. Yeah. Well, not real good. Marshmallows. Tender's so good on the Marshies. Marshmallows. It wasn't her thing. Yeah.
She did crackers. Killed it. Killed it on the crackers. Killed it on the crackers. Killed it. It was really good. She lost on bananas. Dude, that banana thing. I'm still having a hard time recovering from that. She lost on the bananas. That was disgusting. That girl was like a freak. Yeah, she was. How fast she ate those bananas. We don't need to call names. She's a banana eater, that's for sure. That girl could eat some bananas. That's true. I think this one, Ashley, is going to do real good. Real good. Ladies and gentlemen. Yeah. This week. Yeah. Chicken strips. Chicken nuggets. Chicken nuggets. Chicken nuggets. Chicken nuggets. I'll compete. Bob, you cannot compete. Are we allowed dipping sauce? You're not going to have time. You won't have time. You're going to be shoving them in your mouth. You should have a big paper cup in front of you that says Nathan's on it full of water and be dipping those nuggets into water just like Kobayashi.
This is like two to three nuggets a hand. Yeah, this ain't a stroll. Sunday stroll. Sprint. Put three or four nuggets per hand. Get them down. Get them down the hatch. Right down that gullet. That's right. That's right. P1 Kung Fu, are you there? Yes, I am. Would you like to be Ashley's eating competition? Oh, she's going down. A little fire in the belly. I love it. Ashley screams out, what the hell is that all about? What the hell is that all about? Come on now. That is awesome. You are going to come in here tomorrow, lady. Lady. And you are going to face off against one of the most powerful eaters of all time. Oh, my. I don't know. Mommy might like to eat, but she hasn't seen me. Oh, no. Are you just disgusting? Oh, Eddie, no. That's not Eddie. You're not. Are you a pig? No, that's not how you want to phrase it. That's not how you want to phrase it. Two tons of fun? Can you eat a lot? That might be a way to phrase it. Can you eat a lot? Okay. P1 Kung Fu, can you? Can you eat a lot? Yes, yes, I can eat a lot. How old are you? I am 32. How tall are you?
I am 5'5". You know my next question? I'm not going to answer it. All right. Well, all that means is powerful jaws. I love it. Yes. Jaws of life. Awesome. Are you going to use dipping sauce, Kung Fu? Well, you can use the dipping sauce, but I'm going to omit the dipping sauce because I think I would have an advantage. Yeah. Although the dipping sauce may work as a lubricant to get those things down. Because of my weirdness with meat and the fact that I'm a partial vegetarian, I need to dip the nuggets in something delicious to counteract the fact that it's meat that I'm eating. She's a full meat eater. Yeah. She's a full-time meat eater. She's a carnivore. Yes. She's a carnivore. She's carnivorous. I like ranch. She's a meditarian. She's a meditarian. Partial. Medasaurus. Yeah. She's a cowstronaut. Half the time. What? Eddie, what surprise? What might? Oh, big deal? Metallica tickets? Oh! No big deal. They come from Mama. What do you think of that? Huge.
Oh, that's awesome. Yeah? Well, it's on. I can't stop eating. Ashley just racked Kung Fu Lady there. I don't know what that was. She's just racked him. No. That's weird. She's going to dip it in duck sauce and keep it with her partial vegetarian-ness. Ranch. Living on a ranch. Living on a ranch. Good point. Living on a ranch. Mommy's not going to eat for two hours. She'll be starving. I will. It's going to be ugly. P1 Kung Fu, we'll see you here tomorrow. How's that sound? I'll be there. We'll talk to you later. I like her. She's going to be tough. You're going down, Ashley. What? I'm sorry. Kung Fu sounds tough. She knows how to eat. I can tell. You guys, you ever seen Ashley eat? I have seen Ashley eat, and it's gross. Listen, a girl can eat everything. Remember McDonald's? What did you just say? Remember McDonald's? Yes, we do. I don't. Well, she ate a full meal Mike in Denver. After that big giant dinner. Swung by McDonald's and got another six-piece McNuggets. It's delicious. Several other items off the dollar menu. I don't think I drank a Diet Coke. Are you getting flu? I had the flu. Mike. It's not my fault. I don't know what I'm saying. What? I'm sorry. Wait, what? Mike is sick. Sky, CPR.
No, you don't do CPR. No. The guy's not supposed to have sugar. It helps. No, CPR does not help in this situation. Oh, yeah, it does. No. It takes mind off it. Can you smell what the Mac is cooking? Whoa. He's done. Someone open a window. Key witness in the O.J. Simpson trial contradicted himself. Yeah, not guilty then. Throw it out. Yeah. The judge should throw out the case. That's right. I didn't do it. Way to go, Kato. That's right. The witness. Cut his testimony. That's right. Oh, no. You're going to have to remove it. Yeah. Head first. Hey, over the top. What's your problem? What's up, man? What's your story? I'm just saying, man. Moderate OJ? That's right. I'm moderate OJ. Yeah. I said, chop that testimony up. That's right. That's over the top right there, man. Bloody that testimony. Yeah. And then ladle the blood into my mouth. Okay.
Double over the top, OJ. That was a little much. It's always a little too much. Is that a problem? Yeah, you go too far. So what are you contradicting myself on? Okay, so, you know, if you don't know what's going on, OJ and another guy are charged with 12 counts of robbery, kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and coercion. I mean, is he for real? I was taking my own stuff back. That's what he claims, that this guy, this memorabilia dealer. How can I steal my own stuff? Yeah. Had stolen his stuff. Yeah, what you call kidnapping, I call mine. That's right. And OJ claims he was just trying to take back his stuff. That's right. The other guy said no. Call me Juice. He says no, the Juice was trying to rob me. Rob the Juice. The Juice and his friends had guns. Dude, you don't rob Juice, man. And stuff like that. Can't be robbing Juice. So when this memorabilia dealer. I'll run for 2,000 yards. For the Buffalo Bills, man. Oh, how many times? I'm going to tell that every time. Anybody ever think about that? Put that on the bowl, you turkey. Neither here nor there.
And not funny. So, yeah, this trial has only been going on for two days. Today's the third day. But so this memorabilia. Is Judge Ito on the case? No, no. He's familiar with my work. Yeah, you know, yeah. He's a big fan. Yeah. Hey, hey, I'm talking to the guy in the witness stand. Hey, man, I just want to say thanks for being a good witness. I hope nothing happened to you. Oh. I shouldn't wink like that. Hey, man, you want me to try anything on? Yeah, I can try anything. Nothing's going to fit. I'll tell you that right now. You got some gloves? Hey, let me see that knife. I can barely fit that sucker in my hand. Wow. Hey, let me see the gun that I allegedly robbed the place with. Oh, my finger won't even go in the trigger. You can't fit it in there. Dang it. I couldn't use this gun. So the memorabilia dealer has been on the stand on Monday and Tuesday. Monday, an ambulance had to come because the dude was complaining of, like, chest pains. Yeah, it's called, keep feeling guilty. Yeah, and I guess in the last year, this dude has had, like. Yeah, it's called liar pains. I guess in the last year. Did you see that dude's pants catch on fire? I guess in the last year, this dude has had four heart attacks already. And then the stand started having chest pain. Lie attacks.

I almost shot someone in the face one time. Boston Rob. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. What do you think happens? My flu is calming down. Good. I had to take off my jacket. That helped. It helped a little bit to get some air. Want some apple cobbler? I would love some apple cobbler. No way. Sugar is the problem. Don't offer him. Sugar would mess me up. Yeah, I can't have that. But it's a la mode. Oh, dang it. Oh, that big songy a la mode. That's right. It is 939. The governor says that he will veto the overdue California budget. Rob, I'm sorry.
Derek Jeter sets the all-time hit record at Yankee Stadium passing Lou Gehrig. Who cares? Isn't it time to tear that thing down? Can we tear it down finally? I want to go there and jump on top of it when it's already done. You guys from Boston are hotheads. Not really, Mike. Everybody else just doesn't get it. This email says, my dad's used a Flowbee ever since I can remember. He loves it. That's rad. It's Pew and Jojo. Dads are so crazy, man. Dads will do stuff that is so fun. And are we? So with our kids, are we going to do stuff that is kind of embarrassing and weird? Please. What? What will it be? You're listening right now. You're in your 20s, your 30s, your 40s. You're going to be doing something that your kids think is really embarrassing. Oh, yeah. Like, Jake's going to have friends over. They're going to want to go, like, swim in the backyard. And you're going to be out there in some nerdy hat with your tomato plants. And Jake's going to be like, Dad, can you just go inside? Yeah. Where, you know, I am always fascinated to know with each individual where the I don't care years begin. I don't care anymore. I'm getting close. Are you? Yeah. I don't care anymore. No big whoop.
Okay, you know what? It's comfortable. Dude, I like to do what I like to do. I don't care really how I look anymore. I'm just like, whatever. Now, Eddie's 35. I'm 30. I'm definitely there. Skye, you there? I think I was born there. Yeah, she's never. It's the same thing. It's the same mechanism that when you are in line at the grocery store, you don't mind, you know. You don't mind saying stuff if something is amiss. It's all the stuff that you thought of that old people do. Yeah, my husband the other day had to give me a little talking to about going outside without a bra on. Which is something you never would have done, right? Oh, no. I'm like, but I'm just going to go to the drive-thru and pick up food. And he's like, you're in a tank top and you don't have a bra on. It's comfortable, right, Skye?
Like, I got to restrain myself. It's like 10 minutes. Who cares? It's the drive guy. Big whoop. Aren't we all adults here? It's like you're back in Jack of the Box again. I don't know what that means. What is that? I don't know, but Eddie and Sky knowingly. It's the greatest callback ever. And when I explain it, you'll love it, Mike. It's a callback from like six years ago, by the way. What is it? Oh, I just remembered. Two o'clock in the morning. Stop it, Eddie. Stop it. You're a jerk. Two o'clock in the morning, Skye walked into a jack-in-the-box with a group of her girlfriends, and some stranger... I was like 15 years old. ...looked at her and said, hmm, must be cold out there, huh? Someone left their headlights on. And so ever since then, when I was 15, I always wear bras with a little bit of padding because I never want that.
To happen again. Well, now, that is surprising that you are, hey, because you've reached that age, right? Where you're like, who cares? And it's really hot in the DDo, so it's not really an issue. What are you going to do? In the middle of the day. That's right. Now, the Mikey Show presents the search for the truth behind the words, the logic behind the lyrics. It's time to play Lyrical Gangster. Oh, yeah. Falling. Let's do this. Call us right now. If you know the lyrics to songs, call us. 570-1053. Where is my gangsta? Gangsta. I call it the gangsta rap sheet. It's right here in front of me. And what we do is we give you trivia questions about songs. We're talking the lyrics. So if you know the lyrics to songs, it's a great game for you.
570-1053 is the number. And, Eddie, what is the prize? Oh, only a pair of tickets to the street scene for both Friday and Saturday nights. Booyah. You know it, homie. Booyah. Wow. P1 Stone. Yeah. How are you? I'm doing great. How are you? I'm good, man. What do you do for a living? I am an installer for Dish Network. Oh, how about that? Oh, look at you. Who do we know that does Dish? I think my... Brother. Yeah, my brother Steve does Dish Network. Shawnee, do you do Dish still? No, he's a DirecTV guy. No, DirecTV. Oh, me and Shawnee used to be Dish. Who's got more? Who's got more channels? Dish or Direc? I think Direc does. No, come on. DirecTV has more HD channels. That's very true. He's a Dish guy. How old are you again, bro? 27. Hey, real quick, Mike. Personal indulgence. I still have my old Dish Network DVR from five years ago. Can I do anything with that? Just like sell it on the black market. You don't think so. Give it to Ramsey. He needs something. There you go. That's not the answer I was looking for, sir. I'm not very professional. I have three categories for you. And your categories are In the Name of Love, which is love songs. Rock Rebels, which you figure that one out. It's going to be kind of fun. And 80s hair bands. Which one do you want? I think I got to go with love songs. Oh, look at you. You are special. You're romantic. You are romantic.
Your in the name of love, love song question is in the song Foolish Heart by Steve Perry. Here we go. He says, foolish heart, hear me calling. Stop before you start what? Calling. You are correct. You win. Awesome. Foolish. Foolish. The song is over, Mike. Shauna is so happy. Please hang on. It's not over. I want to hear more. Thank you. P1 Mary. Yeah. How are you? Good. What do you do, Mary? I'm bakery manager at Vaughn's. Right on. You get any freebies? I care for your cupcakes. I like your cookies. Because if you get any freebies, the address is 9660 Granite Ridge Drive. Right here in San Diego. That's right.
We might be able to hook something up one day. Hey, do they do a thing where, like, you know, if it's, like, if it gets too old, you've got to throw it out, right? Yeah, most of our stuff, actually, we donate. Oh, really? Yeah. I would be donating to the Mikey Fund? Yeah. All right, Mary, your categories are In the Name of Love, Rock Rebels, and 80s hair bands. What do you want? Gotta go within the name of love. You got it. Stop. Everybody's so lovey-dovey today, right? That's right. Love us. This is some really good ice tea. Hey. Your question is, Mary, in the song Suddenly by Billy Ocean. Oh, yes. He says, suddenly, life has new meaning to me. There's beauty up above and things we never take notice of. You wake up suddenly, you're what? Oh, man. Sean, what is it? You wake up suddenly, Mike, and you're in love. That's right. Of course you are. Life has been equal to me. Get it, Mike. There's beauty. We're out. Wake up suddenly, you're in love. You got it. You got it.
You got to disconnect the jaw on that last part. Show your jaw. You're in love. It works. It does work. That's right. What happened to Billy Ocean? What did happen to that guy? Amen to that. Global warming. I think that's what it was, man. How dare you? I get it. Yeah, the ice caps melted. And Billy Ocean got swept away. Yes, and he overflowed. Hilarious, Eddie. Caribbean Queen. Oh, sing it. Remember that one? Get out of my dreams, dude. Get out of my dreams. Get into my car. You know it, baby. P1 Scotty. Yes. How are you? Pretty good. How old are you? I am 32. What's your middle name? Raymond. All right. I just wanted to know. Why is that funny? I don't know. I just wanted to know what his middle name is. Everybody loves Raymond. What? How come everybody's middle name is kind of funny? I don't know. You ever notice that? You ever notice that? Your parents are jokers. Yeah, your parents, they have a real funny sense of humor, huh? Like Alan? Oh! Sky just got really upset with that one. What's wrong with that? That's a great name for a guy. Hey, hang on a second here. But Sean, what about for a woman?
What? Oh, look at Skye. She's got a puffy bottom lip. I love your name, Skye. I love it. I think it's gorgeous. It's a family name. P1 Scotty? Yes. Your categories are 80s hair bands in the name of love and rock rebels. I'm going to go with hair bands. Let's do it. Your hair bands question is in the song Girls, Girls, Girls. By Motley Crue. He says, girls, girls, girls, dancing down on sunset what? I'm afraid not, young man. Dancing down on a sunset boulevard. Well, you know that everybody always talks about the sunset boulevard. The boulevard. Yeah. You know, they call it the boulevard, right? Yeah, you go down. You go down the boulevard. The boulevard. No, it's actually dancing down on the sunset strip. Oh, who's that? That's right. Oh, man. You can't get them all, Mike. Come on. Hey, listen. Some days you're the dog and some days you're the fire hydrant. Know it. You know what I'm saying? P1 Delaina? Yeah. How old are you? I'm 18. What do you do? I go to school at City College right now. Right on. How many units do you take?
Like, I know what that means. Oh, you're so hip. You're so hip. I'm so hip. I'm so hip. It's not units. It's, like, more like classes. And for, like, every class, I have three units. What kind of stuff are you studying? Photography, freehand drawing, Western civilization. Atsy-fatsy. Yeah. I like you, too. Oh, we got a college education. You're better than me. I get it. Oh, yeah. You're like Bill Clinton. I'm a regular MCS show over there. Road scholar, huh? Yeah, great. I still read with candlelight. No, no, no. I just don't know what I want to do yet. I eat hot pockets every day. All right, Delaina. Your categories are In the Name of Love, 80s hair bands, and rock rebels. I'm going to go with rock rebels. Yeah. What is that? Your rock rebels question is. In the song Ball and Chain by Social Distortion. Ooh. I like this song. He says, a broken nose and a broken heart, an empty bottle of what? What? What? Is it Jim? You are correct. Jim. Very well done. Oh, my gosh. Congratulations, Delaina. You guys just gave me the best day of my life right now. Oh, nice.
Sad life. Hedy, what did she win? One street scene tickets. Oh! Holy moly. Oh, my goodness. Wouldn't it be great if Social D was playing? That'd be real sweet. They're not. Relax. They're not playing. They're not playing. They are not. Well, Saturday night is still open. You never know. It sweeps all over San Diego. Did you guys hear the mic show this morning? Social D. I heard Social D's playing. It's great, man. I'm sure Social D fans wouldn't be mad if they went somewhere that they weren't. playing and they thought they were going to have. I hear it's a very peaceful crowd. Hang on the line, will you, Delana? Okay, thank you, guys. You got it. Let's do one more. Okay. P1 Selma. She used to drive around in the mystery machine. Remember? Yeah. Velma. How dare you? The dog, Scooby. Right. Velma. Velma with a Velma. The one that dated Shaggy, right? Yeah. Shaggy was a marijuana user. No one dated Shaggy and no one smoked weed. That is true. It was real clear that he was a marijuana user. Very clear. It was a children's car, too. Scrappy, what up? Scrappy, what up? Every other episode. That's right.
Anyway. Hello. Hello, Selma. I'm good. How are you guys? I'm good. I said hello. You said I'm good. That's all right, though. That happens sometimes in the halls. You don't need to point it at us. Why? You don't need to point it at us. I can give her a break. People are human beings. Sometimes in the hallway, you'll walk by somebody, and you'll go, how you doing? And they go, great. Or they say, how you doing? And they will say, nothing much. Fine. No. No. Nothing much. That's it. Yeah. Well said. I always do it. Yeah. How you doing? Nothing much. What are you up to? Great. All right, Selma. How old are you? 24. What do you do? I was 25. I just turned 25. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. I recognize the voice. Did you used to go by a different name? Selma? No, it's Selma. I'm the waitress that calls and me and Sean got into it a bit. Oh, that's right. But Selma, didn't you use a different P1 name at one point? No. Okay. Well, let's do this thing. We'll investigate. Yeah, that's right. We're going to go through the Zabruder tapes. Skye, I'll give you $20 for Zabruder. We'll ask it on a dump check. It's clear that I don't know what that means. She won't be able to Google it. She can't spell Zabruder. I heard that. I'm sitting right here. I said that on the radio. You're supposed to speak that and not say it. Selma, your categories are... Your categories are...
Rock Rebels, in the name of love and 80s hair bands. Let's go with Rock Rebels, Mike. You got it. Your Rock Rebels question is, in the song Mama, I'm Coming Home by Ozzy, he says, I could be right, I could be wrong. Hurt so bad, it's been so what? You got that right. Yeah. I'm coming home. Holy cow, that's scary. Oh, man. That's a weird thing. Selma, hang on the line, will you? What is he doing? Because she said, like, goodbye, love, or something like that. Thanks, love. Oh, did she? And he's been winking at you ever since. Put her on hold. Mike has to clear this up. I have to clear this up. Did you call me something funny? What'd you call me, baby?

It cuts up to 90 2x4s on a single charge. See store for details. It's KIOZ San Diego. But I didn't say hit it. Oh, he did it perfectly almost except for the hit it part. You say hit it. I guess we'll take it. Now you're doing too much. Yeah, it's going too far kind of, don't you think? No, it's too much. There's no balance with this guy. It's enough. Now, don't you kind of think, don't you feel like he's hitting it too much? Yeah, enough is enough now. Exactly. You sort of take it too far to the point. Oh, man, that's overdone. It's overdone it for sure. That's what I was thinking. Find him. Mikey, in terms of the eating contest tomorrow, Kobe Ashley is going to kill him. Kobe Ashley. Brilliant. Let's see. Oh, my gosh, that's so funny. By the way, they added Go Mommy.
to it. Thank you. Thank you so much. Kobe Ashley's going to kill it and go mommy. She's not pregnant. Thank you so much, but I do have a child. Hey, Mikey, my cousin said she will ship Eddie 20 McRibs. She said that if he wants them. If I want them. But where should she ship them? To the studio? Yeah. It's P1 McRibs. Sweet. Yeah, to the studio. I'm not a 28-hour show. I'll need the sustenance. That's right. Right on. Let's see. Mikey, what's the deal with the 28-hour show? Are the guys from P1 site really going to be camping out, and can anyone come? That's P1 Waffle. You've got to ask the guys from P1 site. Every year, it gets bigger and bigger. People do it. People camp out. It turns into Woodstock. We have called a meeting today with the big wigs at Clear Channel. Who's that? You know. No, not that guy. He's too busy for us. The higher-ups.
are going to meet with us today so we can figure out what exactly, what area, and all that stuff that we can do for anybody that wants to come out for 28-hour stock. Is it going to be Jay or what? Yeah. So what exactly are you guys looking for? Shawna. Shawna, mom. Shawna? Oh, my God. I can't believe it's that time again. Jay is the hardest voice to do because there's just the slow. The slightest Southern accent in there. Is he from like Houston or something? Yeah. And it's so hard to hear. Like every once in a while when he's talking, you go, is there some Southern in there? You ever met one of those guys? It's like surfer Southern. Surfer Southern. Oh, wow. That's weird. It's a tough one. Yeah. Like, let's see. What would he say? He would go, you guys just tell me what you want and we'll make sure it's there. It's too Southern. Too much. Too much Southern? Yeah. A little bit too much. Turn it down a little. Like it's one word out of the sentence. If you guys just tell me what you want, I'll get it done. Closer. It's the want. There's one word in there that makes it, right? Yeah. Get your iPhone. I want to hear that. I got to hear it. I know. You know what I mean? Just a little bit. Just a little bit. Just a little bit. Just a little bit. That's right. Let's see. This text message says...
Eddie, I got the new Star Wars game, and it is scamtastic. Oh, dude. It's P1 Charger Junkie. Mikey, after hearing how Sky goes through the drive-thru, I'm on my way to apply at the Escondido Jack in the Box. Signed P1, is it cold in here? I didn't know that Honey Baked had a drive-thru. I didn't either. They must have just installed that sucker. Yes, I'll take a ham-a-lam-a-ding-dong. I'll take a hammy hammy dingle doo. A ham frosty. Yeah, ham frosty. Ham fries. Yes, ham fries. Ham jubilee. Hammy mustard. The ham adventure. I'd like a side of ham. Oh. Hi, Jay. Hey, y'all. Wait, not you two. Come on. Jay, what part of Houston are you from? A little town actually outside of Houston called Conroe.
Conroe, Texas. That's right. Conroe, Texas. Now, did you grow up in Texas? Yes, I did. Actually, I grew up until I was five. I grew up on a farm. No way. Yeah, and then we moved to the big city of Conroe that I think at the time had probably four stoplights. When you were a kid, Jay, were you building stuff of your own construction, putting things together, or no? At the time, it was a nightmare because my dad would come home. He worked. And he drove 45 minutes to get to work and then get home. He'd get home at 6. He'd throw me in the truck, and we'd have to go. We had all kinds of rental houses and stuff, and he made me work on them all the time. And at the time, I hated it. And then in the backyard, there was just wood. The first present to me was a hatchet and a hammer, and I was probably four. So I was chopping down trees and building forts. Learning how to punch possums. That's right. I should have called him for your gopher problem. There you go. Oh, wow. A 12-pack and just pop. Now, you can hear when Jay talks, you can hear just the slightest southern accent in there. But Jay has an exceptional skill for building stuff. Yeah, he does. He has a talent and an ability in building stuff.
Hold it all to my dad. That's right. Well, we will be talking about that momentarily. Can't wait. About the 28-hour show. You got a lot of work ahead of you, Jay. It's good work, though. I'm looking forward to it. I'm ready. Let's do this. Dude, this is going to be the biggest one yet. You know, we got to give Jay credit, too, because last year he stayed up with us the entire time. That's right. He did. Jay, dude, Jay was in the room when the weird noise happened at about 3 o'clock in the morning. He videotaped it, right, Jay? I can't wait. I'm going to be up the whole time again. Are you going to do it again? Dude, I love Jay. Jay's awesome. All right, bro. I'm going to see you. All right, we'll see you. He's the best, man. He's crazy. He's part crazy. That's what makes him awesome. I love him. Dude, I think that that's kind of true. He sort of reminds you of a mad scientist. Yeah. He's obviously smart, but he's a little crazy. And that's what makes him build all these amazing things. He's smart. A 10-foot movable armadillo. Yeah. Dude, I'm on it. Yeah. He'll be like, well, what color? Yeah.
I remember when Jay built the testicle sling for Rob. Remember that, Rob? Yeah, Rob. Dude, we built this platform that Rob stood on. That's so scary. And he had to, like, measure and everything. You know, Jay had to measure it. His inseam? Yes. And I said to Jay, he goes, now, how do you want it to work? And I said, I want a platform. with an arm that has a leather strap on the end of it. And we're going to quiz Boston Rob. And if he gets this question wrong about the Patriots, we pull the lever and this... And I said, now, I said, I want it to just graze the boys. I said, just enough. That's what you said? I said, just... Yeah, sting it. I said, but let me tell you, Jay. I said, the most important thing about this contraption is it needs to sound fantastic. And boy, it did. We pulled the lever on that thing and it went. Yes, it did. It was crazy. So, yeah, he could build anything. And this year we will keep him busy. That 28 hour show.
If you haven't heard, the 28-hour show is going to happen on October the 8th. That's a Wednesday. In fact, it is one. Oh, stop it, Mike. Stop. Two. No. Uh-uh. Three weeks from today. You're supposed to keep going. I wish it was tomorrow. Oh, man, dude. Hey. I'm excited. He's ready. We don't have enough time this year to do the amount of stuff we want to do. I know. Three weeks. It's unbelievable. Three weeks. Three weeks. And, oh, and that whole time period is going to be crazy. We got so much stuff going on with the show. Yeah. There's so much crazy stuff going on with the show. Oh, my gosh. I love it. I need a nap just thinking about it. No way. Guys. I love it. Guys. What? Yeah. Go to. Yeah. Go to. Go where? Where should we go? Where am I going? No, Shawnee, no. Don't go there. Hold on. Don't go there, you guys. Don't go there. Be careful. Don't go there. Hold on. You tell me, Sean. Yeah, I'll give you the word.
Yeah, this morning I was thinking about the 28-hour show. And the part that always makes me feel nauseous is when the cleaning crew comes in. Because the cleaning crew comes in at like 2, 3 in the morning. And when I see them, I just know it's wrong. It's just all wrong. Something doesn't make sense. No, something is weird. Okay. I'm putting together. Oh, gosh. I'm putting together a list. Shopping list? Nope. We are going to do... Paper towels. Butter. Okay, it's working now. You're working now. MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W. MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W. I'm there. What am I looking for? Top right corner. Top right corner. Top right face. Top right corner. No, I don't. You are. Do you see it, Skye? I don't care for what's in that top right corner. Do you see what is in the top right corner of the website? Oh, no. I don't care for that. Dude. Mikeyshow.com right now. That is what I am talking about. Put it on pause. Ladies and gentlemen, we officially have a countdown timer to the 28-hour show going right now on Mikeyshow.com.
You can see exactly how long we have until the start of 28 hours of live radio. Holy mackerel. I just want to remind people why we do the 28-hour show. First of all, we do it, and we always want to attach Children's Hospital to it. We raise money for Children's Hospital. While we're on the air, we ask for people to call in and make donations. The folks at Children's Hospital mean so much to us, and those kids mean a lot to us. And so we just want to encourage people to donate money during that 28-hour period that we're on the air. The other reason that we do it is because we can. That's that. People have always asked, you know. So besides the obvious raising money factor, why do you do it? Because we can. Take over the radio station for. 28 hours and go on the radio. We want for your friends. We used to do it to see if we could. Yeah. That first time. Now we have to because you make us P1s. That's right. There's no way we can get rid of it if we want to. Now, check this out. We want you to turn your friends on to the Mikey Show. And a lot of them, they listen to whatever show they listen to in the morning, right? And you know that.
You tell them, hey, man, you should listen to Mikey's show. And they go, oh, yeah, but I listened to such and such show. This is a compromise. You say to them, that's cool. Well, while you're driving home, why don't you tune them in? And that's the deal. We've got so many of our listeners because they used to listen to another show, but they hear us and they stay. Do you get a little taste? Oh, gosh. Get a little sampling, bro. This one's free. So. Are you guys ready to do this? Let's do a, I got a percentage for you. Oh. Percentage of American kids that play video games. Percentage of American kids that play video games. Ashley. For some reason, I feel like it's high in this day and age. Really? What gave me that hunch? Do tell. Just a hunch. So I will say, my gut instinct said 85%.
All right. Video games. Sean. I actually heard this story earlier, so you can skip me. Sky. I know. I gave you the story. Sean. Eddie. For some reason, I think it's very high. See, that's what I was thinking. I'm on board. Yeah. I'm going to say my gut is telling me 86%. That's Eddie. That's one percentage point higher than Ashley. One percentage point higher. My gut said. What is the problem here? Boston Robert. See, opposite end of the spectrum than Eddie. Don't you do it. I think it's going to be lower, so I've got to go 84%. Why is he doing it? You guys are messed up. Now.
Unless she nails it, she's got no chance. No chance. I thought it was lower. Zethian Oates percentage of American kids that play video games. Zeth, don't you play along. I don't have anywhere to go. Yeah, I mean, there's not really a way you can... 95. 95%. Ladies and gentlemen, Zethian Oates is the closest. Wow. Guys, 97%. of American kids.
Play video games according to a new study that has been done. That's crazy. 97% of kids age 12 to 17 play video games. If you break it down by gender, 99% of the boys play video games. 94% of the girls play. The video games have a wide range. The most popular were Guitar Hero, Halo 3, Madden NFL, and Dance Dance Revolution. Two-thirds say they play video games to socialize with friends, you know, have friends over, stuff like that. And about 25% say they play with friends over the, you know, the Internet. They connect with people on the Internet. It's really cool, man, that Internet. I heard that there's like literally hundreds of songs available. I heard you can buy stuff with a credit card. I heard that too. Oh, stop it, you guys. Well, you just smax in your order to their clearinghouse. That's all you do. You just print out your order and then fax it over. You can choose from cuffs or no cuffs. You could choose parachute pants or regular pants. Pleats or no pleats. How do you...
You choose. Well, you just put in an easy-to-use disc called the Internet. Oh. Oh. And just go to the shopping zone. That's right. And if you're trying to buy some sort of music, one of the things to keep in mind is while Sean likes rock music, I myself enjoy country. Oh, that's weird. Guilty as charged. Guilty as charged. Okay. Those guys are weird. We should listen to the Jeff Gold Blue Man Group. Do you have it? Do you have it? Or do you not? I could get it. That's how it goes. What about this one? False advertising. What do you mean? Well, you know, you hear the sweet steps coming in. You think it's a hot, sexy lady. And no, it's a dude with...
Petite feet. Yeah. The whole time you thought it was a gorgeous woman. It's garbage, man. You get all excited. You're playing pool. It is kind of garbage. You think something's going on. It's just a dude with petite feet. Thanks. Sucks. What a waste of time. Real nice. Great. Mikey, will B-Rob get time to do part of the show and you screen phone calls on the 28-hour show? Okay, I accept. Yeah. Thanks, Mike. That's the deal, man. Anything can happen. Who knows? Anything goes. Maybe it'll be the Zeth show. Do the Zeth show. We've got to do the Zeth show. I want to know what would happen. Eddie's mouthing me. Ike. I'd like to talk about wearing gloves. Wow. Zeth, by the way. Aw. Has a microphone right now. He does? Yeah, he can. If he wanted to, he can respond to this. He can. He's got a microphone. You guys always got to attack after 10 o'clock. After the last break. Oh, that sucks. I hate all of you. It's just that break. There's a little glimpse of the future when he runs in here with a gun. That was well done. Heard that too. I hate you.
Ladies and gentlemen. What's up, guys? The Jeff Goldblum Group. Oh, good. What is it? It's just Jeff Goldblum dressed in Blue Man Group face. Duh. Not exactly Jeff Goldblum. It's more of like someone took a pair of scissors and cut Jeff Goldblum out with scissors. Oh. And then put them on the screen and sort of animated that cutout. Okay. It's more like that, you know. All right. Perfectly normal. Well, then that makes sense. Totally. Totally. Did you know that the judge in the whole North County area code changing thing has recommended, no, maybe we shouldn't do this.
So ridiculous. What is up? Well, this is the same judge that recommended that, yeah, we get rid of the 760 in North County here in San Diego and change it to the 442. So that was, so everybody's like, okay, that's what we're going to do then. That's the plan. That's the plan. Well, people in North County were really mad. And so one guy organized this website, keep760.org, and they got tons of hits and about 6,000 people signed up to send these like email blasts. I was one of these people. So was my wife. To basically like everyone, like all these different, you know, community leaders and people in local government and stuff. So they all, you know, got this blast. And then it became an issue again. There were hearings on it. And then the judge just said that she has changed her mind. And now instead of getting rid of 760, adding 442. As an additional area code. So not getting rid of 760, but then there would be two North County area codes. And then she asked, what are you thinking? You're so dumb. I thought it was, what are you thinking right now? What are you thinking right now? If my face was blown off, would you still love me? Do I look fat in this? Yeah, so the commission will meet and vote on this issue on October the 16th. Sky the bottom line with that.
Area code. Yes, Barack Obama. Yes. And deciding that you are going to change the area code to 442. Yeah, yeah, we like change. The bottom line is that you could put lipstick on a pig, but... Oh. Wait. Still a pig. But, Barack, that doesn't even fit right there in what we're talking about. What I'm trying to say is... Typical. Trying to call somebody a pig without calling them a pig. Who are we trying to call a pig? Oinkie, oinkie, oinkie. Okay. All right, well then, what can you do? That's all I'm trying to say. Yeah. Let's see. You know that dude that rode onto the field at El Capitan High School during the graduation ceremony? Remember this? He rode onto the field with an off-road motorcycle. Probably thought he was being all funny and everything. Yeah, him and his clown school friend. He was trying to be clown school. Yep. Well, guess what? Clown school got sentenced yesterday. Oh, yeah. What did he get? He got one year in jail and probation.
Now, his friend has it worse, though. For riding on a little motorcycle? Well, what was the deal? Don't you remember the kid, the rebel kid on Bad News Bears when he did that? Yeah. During the opening ceremonies for the Bears. Exactly, Mike. That was a great call. Yeah. Yeah, dude. Well, this was their graduation. I mean, they didn't want him to do that. It was the same thing. They don't want him to do that. Same thing. And, I mean, three people ended up getting injured, Eddie. I don't remember that. Oh, no, it's not as funny. Yeah, now it's not as funny. Thanks for bringing the room down. Yeah. So, but his friend is facing the same charges, but also in addition facing charges of hit and run because he's, you know, charged with causing some of the injuries. So he can get up to, I believe, three years in prison if convicted. But, yeah. Come on. Don't be clowns, man. That's right. Mayor Sanders, the colonel, he says that residents here in San Diego have failed. to meet water conservation goals. And what, will he now punish us? Yes. Basically, he was encouraging people in San Diego to cut their water usage by 10%. You're all bad boys and girls. I love Kool-Aid. That's right. Eddie drinks a lot of Kool-Aid. All day long. All he does is just make Kool-Aid over and over. That's right.
Dude comes crashing through the big brick wall. So Mayor Sanders says we need to do more. We've only been able to cut our water usage here in San Diego by 6%, the residents of San Diego, and that's not 10%, and that's what he's looking for. So he says mandatory conservation measures could be rolled out in the next few months. So that's not good. U.S. is going to bail out AIG insurance. Dude. I'll tell you what, though. Me and my family switched to it, and I saved $1,600 a year. You could do it, too. AIS, auto insurance. If you just call right now. I don't think that's what this is. 1-800-777-4-AIS. See, this is the AIG. AIG insurance? Yeah. Is that different? It's its cousin. It's a different thing. Yeah, it's huge. So the U.S. is bailing out AIG so they don't have to go bankrupt with an 85- billion dollar loan coming out of taxpayer money. So thank you to all of us. We have now purchased. Yeah. Why do they need that much? Because with our deficit, we obviously have an extra 85 billion. But why do they need 85 billion? I guess. An insurance company? Because I guess their investments. Dude, can you imagine how much they've taken from us if they need an 85 bill? How much have they made from us?
If it requires 85 bill. Well, they say AIG, which is, you know, a Fortune 500 company, has $1.1 trillion in assets, 74 million clients in 130 different countries. But, you know, because of the economy and real estate and basically everything. What's the interest on that loan? Going on. Well, the deal is, is the government. It could be like 0.1%, right? Yeah. A billion. Yeah. The government will get a 79.9% stake in the company. $84 billion more than I have, I'll tell you that right now. And we'll get to remove the senior management there at AIG. But, yeah, $85 billion loan. So we, as the taxpayers, now own AIG. I guess so. You could definitely look at it that way. Let's do some stuff. I mean, technically. Finally, I own a business. Go to Jerome's and get a couch or something. Dude, for sure. Oh, CEO. Buy more than that. I just don't know where this money comes from. It's free, isn't it? Magic. They print it. Yeah, don't you just print it? I guess. Make more. I mean, because we're crazy. Print some more of that stuff. Our deficit is crazy. Just photocopy it. If we owe money, then just get a Xerox machine or something. Yeah, that's what you got to do. You're going to have to spend a little extra dough, get a color one because it's green. Okay. Print some more of that. Get the good paper, too. Thick stuff. Get the real thick stuff. Yeah. Let's go to Office Depot.
Yeah, could Office Depot get the thickest stuff they have? Mikey, I was going to wait until Christmas to get a new sound system and stereo. Then you announced the 28-hour show. I'll be at Best Buy tonight. Nice. It's P1J9. Mikey, you also have to let Sean screen the calls during the 28-hour show. You guys remember that? That was bad. That was bad. I really loved it. I love it when he yells at the piggies. That's P1. Sean's the best. 570-1053 is our number. Call us beginning and end of every show. And you can call us right now. Talk about anything you want, cowboy. 570-1053 is the number. And we will take your calls on anything you want to talk about. Tomorrow is Thursday. Week went by kind of fast. My cherry tomato sky. Leaves are getting a little yellow. Oh, really? Yep. I don't know what to do. I've been reading. Well, it's usually a sign of too much. Oh, is that a sign too much? I don't know. Ask the boo. He'll tell you what to do. I don't know what's up. Usually, I got them real good. What you need? Old Man Baker. Old Man Baker. He knows everything about it. What do you think, Old Man Baker? What should I do? What? Okay.
And you need to find a cadaver from the Civil War. Why? Why do you bury it underneath the leaves? Why the Civil War? Why mustard on the leaves? You're saying mustard, Grey Poupon. It's got to be like the Dijon. Specifically the brand Grey Poupon? Well, that's the best. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You'll be having cherry tomatoes. As big as Paris Hilton. He always compares the size of the fruit or vegetable to a celebrity. I don't understand it. I'll have cherry tomatoes the size of Paris Hilton. I just had a cucumber the size of Gary Sinise. Old Man Baker. It's just weird because... It's just weird because... It's the same weight to the ounce. Yeah. It's the same weight. Gary Sinise. To Gary Sinise. To the ounce. It's amazing. So he's saying. And tastes like him too. That's the weirdest thing in the world. That is the weirdest thing in the world. Delicious. All right. Thank you, Old Man Baker. You're welcome. All right, there he is. P1 Scotty's on the line.
Yeah, Mike, I have a question. You know what the movies are going to be for the 28-hour show? Oh, don't you cheat us out of those four hours. Careful. 28 hours, sir. 28-hour show. The answer to your question is yes. Thank you. Mikey show. Thelma. Hey, baby. There she is. And by the way, she's changed it from Selma to Thelma. I thought it's always been Thelma. I remember her voice the second she called in, and I'm like, oh, that's Thelma. And it's always been Thelma. Yes. To my knowledge, yeah. But you guys were calling her Selma, and it was throwing me off. Maybe it is. It's probably my bad. Sky, it's always been Thelma. Thelma. I've been trying to tell Sky this for two days. Whatever. But this is for sure Thelma. I know, but her voice reminds us of another P1 that we can't think of. Oh.
What is her name? We loved her. She was a huge fan of mine. And Ashley, she'd always do the stoner spelling bee with us. That wasn't me, no. No? Yeah, I don't think it was her. Now that I hear her again. No, her name wasn't Smokey. Well, I have a question, babies. Go ahead. Go ahead. I was wondering if Beto, because I haven't heard from him in a while. I was going to show up for the 28-hour show and drink beers with us or whatever. I'm always here, dude. He's only 14. He can't drink beers. I'll out drink anybody, dude. No, you don't drink at all. Yeah, I do, dude. I'm downing a 40. No, Beto, do you remember the one time? How tall are you? Hold on. Let me, Beto, I gave you that sip. of my beer that one time and you spit it out and you're like, ooh, that tastes gross. Yeah, dude, that was like the time the proverbial dog had the chicken. I can't get the taste out of my mouth, dude. Ever since I had that one sip, Uncle Eddie, I can't get enough. Beto. Yeah, dude, I got a case of Lowenbrow. Lowenbrow, really? Of Tandy Lowenbrow? Is that what you got a case of? Yeah, dude, I got a whole taste of Tandy Lowenbrow. No, Beto, stop it. You should be in school.
That's true. First of all. I'm a beauty school dropper. Okay. That's weird. What's up, dude? Who wants to fight right now? No. All right. We're friends. No, no. Just kidding, Uncle Ed. Okay. Just kidding, Uncle Ed. All right. And you guys want to have some air cleaners? No. That's bad. Don't say that. Hey, dude. I'm crazy, though. You're not crazy. Oh, wait. I mean. I have a question for Beto. Yeah, what, dude? No, dude, you're fine. What's up? Don't worry, I won't make you pregnant. Stop it. Every girl that sees me is like, oh, don't make me pregnant, Beto. I don't think they say that. No one has ever said that. Go ahead, Salma. What's up, dude? I was wondering if you and Ashley ever, like, gone on a date or got...
Hooked up all the time, dude. No, never. Oh, please. Come on, Ashley. Two words, Belmont Park. What? One more word. One more word. Rollercoastered. One more word. Third. Bass. Oh. Hot. One more word. That's two words. Those are two words. All two words. Hey, Beto. One more word, dude. What? Crazy in love. Oh, that's three. Definitely. You're a little boy. You want to have one more word? What? It's getting hot in here. That's a lot of words. So take off all your clothes. You're being inappropriate. Selma. You see a milk? It's Selma. What do you look like, dude? I look like a dude. I'm so crazy, I can't even remember my own name. Okay, and then we'll call the police. No, dude, don't, because I have a warrant out for my arrest. Really, for what? For hijacking an airplane. You're so stupid. Get out of here. I hijacked an airplane. I was all, what's up? I'm a towelhead. Take this plane to Mota. To Mota? Mota, dude. That doesn't make sense. Hey. I don't know if you guys have seen P1site.com lately, but P1s are getting pretty good with their suggestions for the movies. And myself and Pete just kind of had the same idea.
Maybe you guys should show Labyrinth with David Bowie. These are all good suggestions. And what we're going to do is we're going to have a suggestion area of the website. It'll be up later today. We'll talk about it a lot tomorrow morning on the show. But everybody will be able to make suggestions for the 28-hour show. All right. That sounds good. Right on, dude. Thanks. All right. Have a good day. See you. Lovely and talented. He is up next today on the show. She has the all-request lunch. You call in, you make a request, she plays. It's that simple. Talk to you again tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show is out of your mouth.
