The program, it is 6-0-4. The House rejected the Wall Street bailout plan yesterday, causing the Dow Jones to suffer the largest one-day point drop ever. The Padres announced that manager Bud Black will return for the 0-9 season. Welcome to the program, everybody. Very, very excited about George Chamberlain coming in today. Like, George, explain what is going on. I mean, all I know is it's really... Really bad. And that what happened yesterday with our economy is real scary stuff. And George will be in later and he'll break it down. He'll be in here in like 20 minutes. Nice. Yeah, he'll explain to us what happened yesterday. That Dow Jones and the lowest ever. And I don't know if you guys saw the pictures of the people on Wall Street online. Did you guys see any of that? The still photos?
My goodness. Oh, dude, seriously. I mean, yeah. Oh, wow. Take a look at that, Eddie, on the front page of the Union Tribune. That's a bad day. He wants to rip his face off. That's right. One foot out a window. That's right. Markets in turmoil is the headline today on the San Diego Union Tribune. And Sean is up in the Bay Area. Sean, we should have you find the San Francisco Chronicle and see what their front page is saying. Yeah, I'll go find one. I'm sure. Every newspaper in the United States today is talking about it. Yeah, what is the USA Today, Sarah? Oh, it's a very long... Dow plunges 778 parties point fingers at rescue fails. As rescue fails. Do we think that yesterday we'll have a nickname? Oh, interesting. Yeah. Yeah? Yeah. Purple Monday. Purple Monday. I like it. I like that. Good band name, too. That's a great band. That's a good call. And they opened for Devo at Street Scene. Oh, yeah. That's right. So, yeah. Got to come up with a name for yesterday because it was real gnarly. Black Monday happened when I was in high school. Didn't understand it. Still don't. Just remember it was Black Monday. Yeah. My favorite day. That's right. It's a wonderful day.
Wish every day was Black Monday. It's a holiday. I celebrate it every year. That's right. It's a hot day, I'll tell you what. It happens in the summertime. Oh, boy. Where's my fan? That's right. It inspires me to say, it's getting hot in here. Let's introduce everybody. I am Mikey. I am the host of the show. I'm 38 years old. I saw something funny yesterday. What I'll do now, you know, because you guys know I don't watch TV. When I'm in the kitchen, I have a TV in the kitchen, so I'll just turn it on, and whatever it's on, I'll just watch it. Really? Yeah. Because my wife will be in there sometimes. She'll be watching something, so it's on whatever she watched last. Yeah. And so yesterday I turned it on. It was Wheel of Fortune, which I've never seen. Never watched an episode of Wheel of Fortune in my life. Not interested. Wow. It's my fate. Wow, dude. I mean, what I'm saying is start to finish. I've obviously seen it on the television for a few seconds. It's been there, and yesterday was another example of that. It was on, so I watched. And they had two people playing at the same time as a team. Instead of one person, it was two. And there was these two girls, and they were young. And I thought it was fantastic because they would whisper to each other in their ears. And I was like, wow, I wish I knew what they were saying. It was awesome.
It was awesome. I got to watch that show maybe a little bit more. So good in Jeopardy right after. No way with Jeopardy because I've seen that on before and I don't know one thing they say. Oh my gosh, I'm getting better and better at that game. For real? Yeah. Maybe you get there from watching it. Depends a lot on the subjects too, what they are. Dude, they could say, Alex, I'll take geography for five cents and I wouldn't get a five cent question. I don't think I've ever known. Anything I've ever seen on a regular Jeopardy question, like those things to me seem super hard. Obscure. Eddie, are you good at it? Yeah. I mean, it's just, you know, like Ashley said, it depends on the categories. You know, if it's like French artists, you know, I'm done. But, you know, general questions I'm pretty good at, yeah. I can't believe some people know about French artists. Yeah, I don't want to know you if you know about French artists. Well said. Once said in his 1864 essay, people know that? It's crazy. They must have gone to college. That's crazy! Eddie is our sports guy. He is our producer. We call him the Oracle. It was actually a name given to him by a P1 listener. Called in and just referred to you as the Oracle. You've been the Oracle ever since. And, you know, all stuff sports.
Football, your favorite, right? Absolutely. What comes in second? Mixed martial arts. Yeah? Yeah. I love that. That's fun to watch. Do you have a favorite dude? Favorite fighter? Yeah. It's tough because we are friends with Brandon Vera, so Brandon Vera would... It's kind of by default my favorite fighter, but I really get up for Chuck Liddell fights. This guy says that all the time. Yeah. I have a t-shirt that says that. Oh, wow. Like Roger Huerta a lot. Anderson Silva is sick. Yeah. Sick. He's like a witch. He's a black dude, right? Yeah. Well, he's from Brazil, so I don't know. His body looks so like a machine. He looks like he is a robot. He can't be beat right now. Nobody can beat him. He's pretty awesome. He is a Terminator. He's a Terminator. He's the Brazilian Terminator. I like it. Whoa. There he is. He's got one bad thing about him, though. What? His voice. Oh, no. He's got, like, a Tyson voice. It's real high. Really? It's so unintimidating. It's the strangest thing when that happens. That's bad.
My style is impetuous. My defense is impregnable. And I'm just ferocious. I want your heart. I want to eat his children. It's like that, but Portuguese. Oh, wow. And probably higher. Higher than Tyson? Because, you know, if a girl got set up with Mike Tyson through a girlfriend and the girlfriend said, will you call her? It'd be over. She'd be like, I talked to Mike last night. Hey, I was just calling because we're both friends with Melissa and she told me to call you, so I just wanted to see what you were doing last weekend. Did you put your dad on the phone? Seriously, right? Skye's our news girl. She is 30 years of age and lives in the Dito. And she gets up for Chuck Liddell. I guess so. You know what I'm saying? Can't miss a Chuck Liddell fight. Nice man. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, he's my favorite. That's right. I love how he ices stuff. She likes how he ices. His opponents, yeah, he does. Yeah, that's what I'm saying, Eddie. I feel you, dog. Come on, bro. That's right. I'm down with you. Sean is our sound effects man. As we say, sound effects. Sound effects, yeah. That's right. Dude's tall and loves 80s music a lot.
Yeah, I like it. He likes it a lot. It's good in my ears. Yesterday we did Sean's top 580 songs of all time. He said that Culture Club, Time Clock of the Heart is his favorite of all time. He's married to a woman. Yeah, he is. Oh, for sure. That's weird. For sure. Eddie was asking for clarification. I don't blame him. I mean, there's a, you know, because I mean, immediately you go, wait, wait, wait, wait, Mike, you're saying Time Clock of the Heart, number one song. He's married though, right? Yes. Is this after the legalization or is this? No, no, no, no, no. Right, I feel you. You were at his wedding. Well, I was at a wedding. I don't know that. I mean, I'm kidding. I don't understand. Blue cake. Blue cake. Blue cake. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But I mean, I hear this and then I don't get it anymore. Minister brought up. The Holocaust, ring any bells? There it is. There it is. I definitely remember Schindler's list. Maybe he got a divorce and I didn't know about it and then came out of the closet. That is not correct. I missed the memo. That is not correct. The man just simply likes 80s music. Sean, the man said, uh-oh, look at that face. That face. I like 80s music too, but not culture club. I'm telling you, Eddie, that
His face worries me. Yeah, I don't like it. You know who had that face? Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver. Right at the end of the movie. That's the scariest part. Right at the end of the movie. But he went on like a killing spree. I know it. That's what I'm saying. Remember Mohawk De Niro? Do you really want to hurt me? That's right. I don't know. Let me get my army jacket. Wait, wait, wait. Don't do that. Don't do that. That's a threat. Don't do that. Then there is Ashley. Ashley looks fantastic today. Thanks. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What are you rocking over there? What have you got? What have you got on your body? What is the sky? And Ash, answer me this. Is that style of the thing off one shoulder, the shoulder off one shoulder? Does that have a style? Is that called something? Are you doing a one shoulder? A one shoulder. I guess it's called a one shoulder. Basically like a super scoop neck. There you go. You can do whatever you want. You can have it be both up, or you can have them both be off the shoulder. You wear it whatever way you want to is what you do. Yeah, whatever I feel in, you know? We were talking about the 80s in the car the other day, and my wife brought up T-shirt tie-offs. I had no clue what she was talking about. I said, what was a T-shirt tie-off? I think that's what she called it. I don't remember, but it was like a band that held your T-shirt. Oh, yeah.
In the 80s. It was a chick thing. It was a band that held your t-shirt to make it look tighter. That's awesome. Because that was apparently before the days of just tight t-shirts. You know what I mean? That's right. Austin Rob is our resident New Englander. That is a fact. He got some pretty good news yesterday. What? You want to tell him? What's going on on Friday? Going to the Red Sox playoff game. How about that? How excited are you, Sky? How excited? I'm thrilled. She likes MMA. She gets up for Chuck Liddell. Is Chuck Liddell playing? I don't know. Is that game two? Game two, Liddell is up to bat. That's cool. Congrats. That's seven members, by the way. Or excuse me, that's six members of the Mikey Show. The seventh member. There's more? Yep. Seventh member of the Mikey Show is the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Jr., Esquire, MD, TDS, president and CEO, as seen on TV. Rosie. Rosie. Oh, really? That's right. Mouthful. Want to hear some audio of Anderson Silva? Oh, yeah. Let's hear it. Get ready. All right.
It's a little noisy, but you can hear him. That's him right there. The fix is in on the Raider game. Oh, my. That was like CIA undercover tapes, man. A trip. 570-1053 is our phone number. 570-1053 is the number. Give us a call. What do we have to give away? Oh, boy. We have, I think, air show tickets. We have air show tickets. Okay. This is what I will do. If you can call us right now and tell us what happened to Janet Jackson. What happened to Janet Jackson? You didn't say that at the beginning, did you, Sky? No. If you can say what happened to Janet Jackson, I'll give you air show tickets.
5-7-0-1-0-5-3. Our boob flopped out. I think everybody remembers. No, well, no. I think it means what's the recent. Yeah, I'm not talking about that one. That's the most famous thing that happened with Janet Jackson, I think. Besides playing Penny. You won, Eddie. Good job. Thank you. No, this is totally different. This is something very recent, as in last night. Oh. So if you know what happened with Janet Jackson last night. Call me. I'll just start taking calls. Mikey's show. What do you think happened? I think that she canceled the concert in Canada from LTS. LTS. Low ticket sales. Oh, no. Oh, that is not correct. Oh, that's not. P1 Sean. Yeah, yeah. She got ill before the show. And I went to the hospital. You are correct. Wow. She got ill? She got ill. Oh, yeah. She had a show last night in Canada and right before the couple hours before the show got ill and had to go to the hospital and Hopes rescheduled the show. They're not specifically saying what she's sick with or what went on, but enough for her to stay in the hospital overnight. People come into the emergency room should be the first question. Even if their leg's missing. Do you have sushi? Even if the leg is gone.
And they're practically bleeding. Oh, call back, bro. Wait, you still there? You still there? Hello? Yeah, hello? Okay, good. Hang on. Hang on the line. I didn't lose you. Why? That's right. Yeah, sushi's always his culprit. Yeah. Yuck. Bad sushi. Which I've never had, by the way. Neither. Not bad Mexican. Now that's a whole other story. She has that all the time. And that can send you straight to the ER. She says. Really bad side effects. Can I tell you about Ashley? What? I don't know. It's too early. I kind of think it is too. It's too early. I think it might be. She recognizes this about herself? Oh, dude. Eddie. I think it's too early, Mike. No. People haven't eaten yet. You're not. They're still waking up. Does this have to do with Sammy? No. Okay, good. I'm telling you. My little chubby seal. No. I'm telling you. Of all the crazy things that our girl has done. And Mommy's done some strange stuff. I think Mommy lost her mind. Oh, really? Here we go. And she may also be the funniest comic I've ever heard of in my life. I think that this outdoes Gallagher breaking watermelons all over the stage.
Oh, okay. I don't. It's a way of my... This should be her new stage routine, what she was up to last night. But I agree. I think it might be a little too early. It might be a little too early. I think... I'm nervous. I don't know. 2014 is a little more. A little bit more appropriate. 570-1053. Call us. Let's see. Oh, 35253. That's our text. Oh, yes it is. Got to get that text out there. In case anybody wants to text us, George Chamberlain's coming in. And he's coming in this hour. And we're going to ask him. He is the money guy. And you see him on NBC739. In fact, we saw him on the TV screen about 10 minutes ago. He's on there every day talking about money. And the cool thing about George Chamberlain is he can break it down in very normal person talk. Because I don't get it. And so when he starts, this is the worst thing. When people start using words that you're really unfamiliar with.
Now, occasionally he will, no doubt about it, but for the most part, he can explain. And yesterday, I know that that Dow Jones dropped 700 and something points or something. 777, I think. 777. Oh, he's usually lucky. Just under 800 points. Yeah, you get that on a slot machine, you're doing good. That's a lot. That's a lot. I don't know what it means, though. That's crazy. It's the largest one-day point drop ever. And it's the 17th biggest percentage decline on record in all of history. Money, money, money. But I know I put on CNN yesterday, and I, like, had to turn it off. Because it was, like, giving me, like, anxiety. You know, because it's, like, the media is so in the mode right now of we are about to implode. Like, pack your bags because you're all going to be living on the street tomorrow. Some bottled water, some cans of soup. All right, I'm moving up.
Get a shelter going because you are screwed. Eddie, did you have that reaction? Were you anxiety ridden all day? I was freaking out. I was watching Monday Night Football. I had a good night. A little different. That's a very different reaction. I'm freaking out. I had all my stuff packed. Bags of money. Right now, I wish I had bags of money. All I have is a bunch of lost equity. That's all I got in a bag. My reaction was to put a little blanket over my legs and lean back in the recliner and eat pita chips. Oh. That was mine. And a red plastic cup. That's my favorite thing to drink out of, by the way. That's kind of shaved with. Yeah. Okay. The party cups, you know, when you have a party. I don't like drinking out of regular cups anymore. No, you don't. I don't. I drink out of the red plastic ones. It's my favorite thing. I think it tastes good in there. And also my new thing, I don't like canned soda pops. What? I don't. I prefer. Even in the, when you pour it into your red cup, you don't like the cans? I would rather not have cans. Period. Period. Abolish them.
Well, I mean, for me, for those of you can lovers, of course, I want you to enjoy yourself with your can. You know, if you prefer that, if that's your preference. So you go red cup, ice. Two liter. Two liter. Two liter. Nice. I enjoy the flavor of the two liter. I was exclusively a two liter guy and I got married. Yeah. And the wife buys cans. Yeah. I say, hey, babe, every once in a while, can you get a two liter? Mix that sucker in there. I don't get two liters. You don't? What? How can you guys be discussing this right now? We're all about to be living on the streets. Can we focus? Our world is falling apart. I think Eddie and I are more on the two liter tip. Well, I really like the two liter. Man. Because, I mean. You can't put the ice in the can. That's the thing. And, you know, I like having ice with my soda. I didn't even think of that. Our country is melting down. There's something. I don't know what it is. They're talking red cups and soda. You pour it in. It's got to be good ice, though. I don't want no dirty ice. See, that's the thing. I struggle with the ice deal. Oh, I'm freaking out. You have the ice maker in your fridge. I want bagged ice. I go bagged ice. You do? Even with the ice maker. I turn the ice maker thing off. Get the bagged ice and just.
put the bag in where the ice goes in that little bin. That's a good idea, bro. I love it. I really do love it. Scott, I know you're freaked out about the economy, but did you hear that? That's a good idea. The bag ice? You should do that because that bag ice is good. It tastes good. Well, you know what? I hope you all enjoy that when we don't have roofs over our heads, okay? When we're all on the street with our bags of ice. There's something comforting about it. You know, when something hurts, you put ice on it. Where's my roof bowing? That's what I'm saying. Obviously somewhere. Where? Well, I don't know. This is the first time I've laughed in days. I'm actually happy for it because it is. It's ridiculous. I've laughed in days. I wish I could laugh today. Oh, no. Right in the mic. Again, there's going to be a double shot. Double shot. Where'd it go? I don't know. I usually do threes. I usually have them in threes, but that one was just one big one. It's the economy, Mike. Everybody's cutting back. P1 1842 is on the line. Hi. What's going on?
Actually, if Ramsey's going to be flying Sky to the 28-hour show. Actually, Ramsey has been in the studio along with Miss Sky the whole time. He's been laid off the economy. Yes, Ramsey will be coming with me, won't you? I don't get paid. That doesn't have anything. You've never gotten paid. Why would I be lays off? Why would you be lays off? What does that even mean? I know, right? I don't understand. I said, Mike, that he was laid off because of the economy. Of course he isn't laid off. He doesn't get paid. He works regardless of the economy. I mean, perhaps his scraps will change a bit. No, please. And we won't be able to change your IZODs every quarter. Oh, no. Perhaps your IZOD... I like them crisps. I know you do. You're my white manservant. That's right. Ramsey. Have you been a good boy lately, Ramsey? What is... I don't understand the question. Oh. Well, what I mean by that is you haven't gone on our yacht wearing non-boat shoes, have you? No black soles. Oh, no. Ramsey. Oh, yeah, that's correct. Turn around. Oh, yes, you do. Ramsey. Have anything happened to me?
It keeps on vamping. Ramsey, I'm ready now. I'm ready. Okay. I'm ready. Now I don't want to get hit. My whip wasn't working. Oh. It was a lazy whip. Try this one. Oh, this one looks beautiful. Look at that. Wow. That one works like magic. All right, dobbies. Don't do that ridiculous fake scream. Scream it like you mean it. What do you mean? Fake. Fake, Ramsey. Getting better. Really good. That's Skye and her white manservant, Ramsey. P1 Daniel's on the line. Hi, Daniel. I don't get, I don't ever get, see, I drink diet soda, so nothing diet ever comes in glass. Only thing I've ever seen in glass is like regular Coca-Cola. You don't go for the regular Coke? No, I can't. I got to drink the diets. This sugar gives me a sugar reaction.
Where do you get glass bottles? TJ. Well, I know they're hard to find out. No, no. Original Coke, you can find at the stores in the glass bottles, you know, occasionally. Eddie, you want some? At my Stater Brothers, they sell Coca-Cola in glass bottles. Sure. You can try it. I don't think I've had one of those in the 70s. But you like the two liters, right? Yeah, yeah. I wish they sold the Diet Cokes that way. Yeah, that'd be nice. I'm a Diet Pepsi guy myself, but, you know, the original Cokes, I could still go for every once in a while. Coca-Cola classic? Ugh. Coca-Cola Classic tastes good. It's delicious. It tastes good. Yeah. It's classic. Thank you, dude. It is classic. Appreciate it. Mikey, let's see. This is on Jeopardy. They're writing in and texting about the TV show Jeopardy, 35253. They get to study on Jeopardy. What? They tell them about the subject. That's P1 knowledge. Is that true? Maybe they give them the general... Well, if they give them the subject, they don't give them the questions. They give them the subject. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't want to believe it. Let's see. I don't understand this. Mikey, Janet must have eaten Ashley's leftovers. P1 natty life. That's rude. Who's Janet? Janet Jackson. That's why she went to the hospital. Oh, I get it. I get it.
Mikey, I can't stand from drinking from the can or the two liter bottle. It has to be from a fountain. I even have my favorite 7-Eleven. That's P1 Bridge. Well, listen, there's no doubt that a good fountain is delish. A bad fountain will ruin your day. It's hit or miss. Now, speaking of good ice, I love that crushed ice you get. A little, little, little. That is the best fountain. I want that in my house. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But we're going into a depression, so that will never happen. Get used to it, Rob. Let's take an ice pick. That's right. You got to get an ice pick, bro. Is he Bill Gates? Yeah, you're right. P1 TomTom is online. Hi, TomTom. Hello. What's up? I was wondering if you guys ever bought those three liter of Cokes. They got three liters? What? Yeah. I think you'll find them at Bill Clinton. Yeah. How rich do you think we are? Simon Cowell. Simon Cowell. They used to have them back on the East Coast. They used to have like RC Cola. Oh, wow. They had like three liter bottles. Dude, I didn't even know. I've never seen them. I didn't know they had that. Ever get one of them 25 liters? I have not had those. By a keg. Really satisfies.
Our text number, 35253. Our phone number, 570-1053. A little old school on there. When we come back, I'm going to tell you about this guy that wanted to be a chef in England. Aspiring chef. And he died after he ate some super hot chili sauce. What? I will tell you all about it. Oh, no. I will tell you the details after this. Show stand-up spotlight on 5-3. But I got to be in a movie. I had a small scene in a movie. But I got to act with Peter Frampton. He was in the movie. And we had to smoke pot for our scene. But it was fake pot. Do not buy pot on a movie set. But I got to smoke fake pot with Peter Frampton. That's a cool story. It's as cool as smoking real pot with a guy who looks like Peter Frampton. I've done that way more. Peter Frampton's a musical legend, but I don't know his music. So when you meet a legend and you don't know his body of work, you have to divert from that fact. by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Overall, not a bad ride on our freeways here this morning. You will see that usual backup in the usual places. Beginning South 15 off to 78. Pretty tough now down the Via Rancho Parkway coming out of Escondido. Other than that, things are looking pretty easy throughout the county. No major problems down the coastline. West on 52, a minor glitch here off to 125 and over the Mission Trail Summit off and on. Eight snow worries. Ninety-four good to go in the downtown. And a five in the 805. Certainly snow a little bit through National City, but not too bad overall. So enjoy the ride while it lasts. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rockwater 5.3. I walked into Jared. I felt immediately comfortable and at home. Every single person cares about what you come in there for. Jared, the Galleria of Jewelry customer, Ryan Moorman. I went in and I was over looking at some watches. The watch special was very knowledgeable, telling me stories about all the different watchmakers and just sharing his personal knowledge and obviously his passion for watches. Jared has five times the selection of ordinary jewelry stores. They're absolutely amazing, and they have gotten a customer for life. If you're looking for a more extensive selection of fine Swiss timepieces, come to Jared the Galleria of Jewelry to see the new Tag Heuer Carrera collection, the elegant designs from Raymond Weil, the classic Movado Museum collection.
The amazing Tiso T touchscreen watch. And the Balm and Mercier Riviera collection. All at Jared, the Galleria of Jewelry. It can only be Jared. Jared, now open outside Plaza Bonita Mall next to Outback Steakhouse and west of Mission Valley Mall off Interstate 8 on Mission Center Road. The Mikey Show continues with Mikey. I find that I am actually afraid of many animals. Eddie. I train my brain to try and move objects. Sky. I am extremely frugal and pretty much only buy things when they're on sale. Sean. I tend to think a lot about creating inventions for law enforcement. Boston Rob. I'm the only guy I know that's able to pull off, getting pulled over in the courthouse parking lot, wall parking. And get a ticket. And Ashley. I'm extremely prone to self-inflicting injury. The Mikey Show's on. It's worth every penny. Rock 105.3. One pop song in the country is this one. It's Rihanna. Disturbia. Welcome back. It's 639. The company that held Heath Ledger's life insurance policy wants to do an investigation before paying out $10 million to his daughter. Monday Night Football last night was a pure dogfight. Pittsburgh came from behind to beat Baltimore in overtime but lose two key players for the year. Ben Roethlisberger talks about the difference in strategy from the first half to the second.
Well, we started going no huddle, and I told Bruce and Tomlin, I said, let's figure out the pace. Let me call the plays. We did it. We looked really good doing it, and, you know, it got successful. That, I think, is the way to success, in my opinion, when you are able to adapt. Yeah. Adapt. You know, change it up. Absolutely. You've seen it, too. Some of those guys, they go out there, they go, oh, you know, this is the way we do it. That's why the Chargers, it looked nice, right, when they went, listen, we're going to change a little bit. Adapt. You have to. If something's not working, you've got to be able to switch it up. Man, Merriman was saying that a lot. He really is into that whole change it up. For sure. And do what will work. Big loss for this year is Rashard Mendenhall. Fractured shoulder. Out for the year. Imagine how bad that's got to hurt. It was crazy hitting last night, man. How do they fix that, I wonder? I don't know. Probably just rest. 570-1053 is our phone number. And our text number is 35253. That's right. So you can text us if you want to. And by the way, I just want you to know, if you're not a member of the Mikey Show P1 Text Army, just text Mikey to that number and it'll get you all set up. Texting is a great way to communicate with us here at the radio station.
We're going to make it so that you have even more ways to communicate with us. So, you know, stand by. You know what I want to have? I want to have like a number that's set up where people can call. You can leave a message. Call us. Leave us a message. Oh, I love that. And also just have a completely dedicated email the show, email the show, email the show. So you can constantly be getting, you know, because right now when you go to the website, you can email any seven of us, any one of us. But I think it'd be great to just have an email the show, email the show, so boom, it gets to us right away. A lot of people really like the email. I do. I can't stay off of it. I have to check my email constantly on my phone. Some of the other things that are happening, the biggest thing is obviously the house rejecting the bailout plan. Oh, yeah. And the Dow Jones having their biggest one-day point drop ever, which I can't wait for. George Chamberlain to explain to us. What does it mean? Let's take it to its worst case scenario. What would that be? What are we prepared to do? How do we bounce back? What's a good idea? I want to have all of it explained to me because I don't get any of it. Here he is. George Chamberlain just walked in.
I can't wait. What a day for you to come in here, George. Oh, man. Man, every day lately has been that way. By the way, my daughter says if one more of her friends comes up and says, I heard your dad on the Mikey show. Awesome. It's really great. It's really great. Okay. Now, George, something big happened yesterday. And I'm going to explain the infantile way that I am, like, figuring this out. so that you could break it down in my language. Okay. I'm sitting there. I'm watching TV. In fact, I'm watching ESPN, and I decide I'm going to sign on to the computer. And the first thing that hits me is pictures of people on Wall Street looking like they have a foot out the window, as Sean put it earlier, and looking terrible. And I go, oh, something's going on. I mean, it says breaking news, alert, McCain about to speak live. So I go to CNN, and, of course, people are running around screaming with their arms up in the air, screaming like chickens with their heads cut off. Yeah, fire, for sure. Yeah, fire, fire. And what I hear is that the Dow had its biggest drop ever? Single day. Point-wise, percentage-wise, like number 16. Yes. But point-wise, the biggest ever, yeah. And I see that the bailout plan was rejected.
And I see that this is very, very scary and bad news. Okay. But I don't know why. And I don't know what it means when they say that it was the biggest drop because I don't even know what the Dow Jones really is. And so can you explain this to us? Let's run a couple of things for you. First of all, it was pretty clear yesterday at the start of the day, despite all the kumbaya over the weekend, that they really hadn't got a deal put together because the market should have opened up 700 points yesterday. on the news that they had finally reached agreement. Yesterday, the market opened down a couple hundred points, which is no big deal, but there was something weird about that. And what does that mean? It means that the Dow Jones Industrial Average is a group of 30 stocks. Okay. Just 30 stocks. But they're the biggest and the best of public U.S. companies. Got it. And then there's this formula they use to come up with an index, a number. And it has become over the years the bellwether. indicator for what the stock market is doing. Somebody walks up to me and say, what did the market do today? I tell them what the Dow did. There's plenty of others. There's the NASDAQ, the S&P 500, but the one that everybody goes to is the Dow. And so when you have the stocks, the majority of the stocks moving one way or the other, it will determine whether that index of those 30 stocks goes up or down. Yesterday, all 30 of them went down.
Very rare occasion that all 30 of them in one day would go down in tandem. But it happened yesterday. That's bad. Yeah, it's bad. Yeah, it's bad. And the reason was because we saw that the negotiations of this thing fell apart. That there was just a lot of politics being paid. Even though they were talking about how much they're all in agreement, we need this thing, blah, blah, blah. The wheels came off the wagon. It just didn't work. And a lot of the things I'm hearing is it goes back to a... speech that Pelosi gave right in the middle of the day where she just really beat up the Republicans bad for their partisanship. She made a partisan speech blaming them for being partisan. My favorite response to that was evidently there were 12 members of the Republican negotiating team that were highly offended by what she said. Now, Barney Frank, who's a real wild card, okay? He's a member of Congress from Rhode Island, I think, somewhere. He's a crazy guy, but he's one of the lead players, and he chairs one of the big committees. And he's really very abrasive. He always speaks his mind. And he said, hey, I'm really sorry that 12 members of the Republican Party were offended by this.
And what I'd like to do is fix this. I'd be glad to call each and every one of them up and talk real nice to them. So that they'll say, you know, then maybe they'll go along with the deal now. And it was one of the few funny lines that came out of the whole day yesterday. So that's what we have. We had a day when the stock market went down 700 points. Not a lot of fun. What are you going to do? You just got to roll with it. And if you can't roll with it, then get the heck out. Should we, as just normal people, should we be... Afraid? Scared? CNN makes it seem like I should be putting a sign in front of my house. I should be stocking bottled water and canned food. Building a bomb shelter. Should I be freaking out right now? I don't have a basement. I don't know where I'm going to go. Should you be concerned? Yeah, absolutely you should be concerned. I'm going to do worst case because that's what everybody is. That's what ticks me off. I hate when people go worst case scenario. Why doesn't somebody ever do a scenario? based upon the best case. I want to hear that too. That doesn't sell any newspapers. Worst case scenario. What has happened now, the mess we're in right now is that there is no liquidity in the economy. And as I heard somebody say this morning, capitalism requires capital. You've got to have money to make everything go round. Here's an interesting story. Retailers now are stocking up for the holidays. So they're getting...
toys and clothes delivered to their warehouses. But the companies that make the clothes and the toys don't just give them the stuff and say, hope you can sell it, and if you don't, we'll take it back. They have to be paid at that moment in time. So what do companies do? What does Kohl's, Nordstrom's, Walmart do? They borrow money to pay these bills in advance. Well, they can't borrow the money. So toys and clothes and stuff for Christmas is not going to be in the stores. Wow. Okay. Now, there's a worst-case scenario for you. Another situation is, and hopefully we work for a company that's big enough that won't have a problem here, companies usually float money to do payrolls. What does that mean? That means they borrow money to make payrolls, and then they get revenues come in the next week or in the next couple of days, and that covers the payroll. Got it. There's no money coming in because there's no liquidity out there. Okay. So payrolls, people might be told, we can't pay you this week. Oh, my. What? Banks may not have money so that when you put your card in an ATM, they won't be able to spit any money back at you. That's the worst case. We're talking worst case scenario. We're not saying this is going to happen. Absolutely. It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. Well, the last two might not happen. The Christmas thing could be a big problem. Okay. But the last two probably are not going to happen. Right. And they're not going to happen. Why? Because we will probably...
get all the politics out of the way here and thursday have a bill passed okay they probably will how different will it be than the 700 billion dollar bailout it won't be different at all it'll be that there'll be a couple little fine-tuning things in there to satisfy some egos let me ask you because this is what my um this is what my gut was telling me yesterday my gut was telling me we're in the middle of two political parties trying to get uh attention with debates and everything else and an election coming up. We're in the middle of that. And so the thing that happened yesterday was a result of each party wanting to be able to go, this is why we should run the nation because those guys are messed up. And both of them want to do it at each other. The Republicans want to say, man, we can't agree and it's their fault. And the Democrats want to go, we can't agree because it's their fault. And we can get you out of this. Here's what's really wacky about the whole deal. And, you know, I hope we can get this out of the way and move on to some stuff that will help people here. Because this stuff is so grating on me. But the Democrats had enough votes yesterday to pass the bill. The bill could have been passed yesterday. But they didn't want to pass the bill without getting some Republican votes with them. Because then they could say, well, we were all in this together.
It wasn't just the Democrats that wanted to go $700 billion in debt. Oh, by the way, one little thing here. This legislation, $700 billion. The stock market yesterday lost $1.4 trillion. So the stock market, the loss in value of stocks yesterday was double what this bailout package is going to be. So that shows you how screwed up this whole thing. So you think that the Democrats should have just passed it themselves? Because everything I've heard is it's the Republicans not voting because basically the Republican like stance is we don't like government all up in our business. So the Republicans didn't vote and that's why it didn't pass. Yes, some Democrats didn't vote, but more Democrats voted than Republicans. So for us to point a finger at the Democrats this morning, I think it's kind of crappy. Well, but the Democrats had enough votes to pass the legislation. So you're saying that somebody wanted to vote. vote for it, but said, you know what, I'm going to vote no, just so we don't take the burden and the blame. Exactly right. And someone admitted to that? Oh, yeah. Oh, sure. That's interesting. See, I mean, I'm not pointing fingers at either party. I think both parties are being totally irresponsible in here. They're not looking out for our best interests. But they've really messed it up, put themselves in a terrible position.
You know, guys, you're up for re-election in a month. I'm going to ask you the broadest question in the world. Okay. I mean, this one is like, talk about speaking in generalities. If you had to pick a year, George Chamberlain, that you believe that the economy will be healthy again, and I don't care if you say 2015, but when do you think that our economy will be, or will it ever be, back where... In the 80s where we were like, our chests were all blown up. We had dough. We were thought of our dollar was worth something around the rest of the world. When do you think? Well, I'll go back to what you were saying. Sky was saying a little while ago, you know, that we're led to believe things are really, really bad right now. Things aren't that bad out there. You know, we have a six, let's say maybe 7% unemployment rate, which is high compared to where it's been. over the last decade, but it's still historically pretty much average right now. And the constant comparisons to the Depression. During the Depression, we had an unemployment rate of 40%, 50%. Oh, wow. So we're not doing that bad. 93%, 94% of people that want a job today have a job. And you still go to the mall today and walk through any mall, you see every store has a help wanted sign up in front of it. So, I mean, there's still jobs out there.
So that situation is not bad. The household wealth of Americans today is just slightly below all-time record levels. So we're not doing that bad. You're going to think I'm probably crazy on this, but I think we could see such a dramatic turn in this thing that maybe literally a year from now, you will see, well, we've got a report out that suggests this anyway, you will see housing values moving higher again. And I tell you, once housing values start moving higher, they're going to move higher with a vengeance. Nice. Good to know. Come on. Get it, housing market. Listen, guys, I could go through my whole housing thing for you, and you'd run out and buy as many houses today as you get your hands on. I mean, it's incredible what's about to happen. The San Diego housing. Good to know. Sorry to my hero. So you know what? I'll stretch it out a little bit for you here and say that we will be...
almost at boom time, early 2010. Wow. Wow. For real. I will be okay with that. That is shocking. So we don't have to sell Maine or anything like that? Well, not that I wouldn't mind doing that. No, we don't need to. We can get rid of Boston. That's a good point. So, George, okay. So I think I feel a little bit better about what happened yesterday. Things are a little bit clearer. I know that the president is going to be commenting on the bailout. He just did a little while ago. Do you know what he said? He said, sure wish they'd vote on this thing. Great. Darn. I think he said darn. Darn. Sounds like it. Well said. What else, George? Because you said that you have ways that you can... help people what should we be keeping in mind right now through all of this stuff well you just said hey this is a good time to buy actually well it's it's a spectacular time to buy will it get a little bit cheaper you know we opened this morning the dad was up a couple hundred points this morning at the get-go i probably is not going to give that up and the other stuff going on but i mean i go back to other things i've lived through the tragedies i've lived through as far as the economy and things like that are concerned and i go back to um it was 1987 we had that one terrible crash
Put it in perspective. Yesterday, the Dow was down 7%. On October 19th, 1987, the Dow Jones Industrial Average in one day dropped 23%. Okay, that's a bloodletting when that happens, okay? Okay, if we did that today, it would be about a 4,000-point drop in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. So that was terrible. On that day, October 19th, 1987, the Dow closed at 1,736. Today, we're at 11,000. So that terrible, terrible day was the best buying opportunity in the history of the stock market. So you look at these climactic events like we had yesterday, and you say, boy, if you got 50 bucks out there, you ought to be putting it in the stock market right now. You ought to be taking advantage of opportunities like this. And you get through it. It's not fun like that. I mean, I was... berserk yesterday yesterday was just a crazy day i was everywhere yesterday you know and and i was having a ball it was a lot of fun okay i mean i love doing what i do and good times or bad times i love doing what i do um but at the end of the day i just kind of hunkered down and uh i i grabbed my granddaughter i always go everything for me goes back to sophia i grabbed my granddaughter we went down to the beach walked on the beach for about an hour and everything was okay in my world so that's cool as that you know
George, let me tell you, I am so glad that we got you coming in here now. Loving it. It really explains so much stuff. I'm telling you, I did not get it. And after you explained it, it makes a lot more sense to me. I had to help out, guys. It really does. You're back. So, yeah, George Chamberlain is our new money guy. Love it. Do they have you going to another one right now? Do you have to leave? What time is this? Seven. Yeah, it's seven. I can come back if you want. Please come back because I still want to give listeners the opportunity to call in. Please, that's the best. That was so great last week when we did that. Yeah, yeah. We'd love to. So why don't you come back when you can. Yeah, we'll have George come back and we'll ask you some more questions. Great. anywhere. We still got a huge show for you today. It's the Mikey Show. Brand of Kleenex Sky. I don't like Gorgonzola, so... Yes, you do. Yes, you do. Sean. I really think that ice cubes from, like, refrigerator ice cube trays are disgusting. Boston Rock. I'm a grown-ass band. Show me some respect. And Ashley. I am a very forgiving person. On a Rock 105.3. That's a band with two chick singers in it. Eddie's getting it. Eddie's getting it. Eddie's getting it. He's getting it. That's what I'm talking about. Get it! I know it. Welcome back. It's 7.05. The House website got all jammed up yesterday because of the millions of people trying to go to their site to find info on the $700 billion Wall Street bailout plan. Al Davis interviewed three coaches from his staff to replace Lane Kiffin yesterday. The only thing is, he hasn't fired Lane Kiffin yet. That is weird. Oh, man. Dude, if you're Lane Kiffin. That's the worst.
I mean... I believe, and I swear this is true. I believe. Tell me. Al Davis does not want to fire Lane Kiffin. He wants to do everything he possibly can to make him quit. So he's going to do... Crazy stuff. He doesn't want to pay him unemployment. Yeah, exactly. It's so weird, man. He doesn't want to give him a severance package. Yeah, that's what it is. No, it really is kind of like that because if they fire him, they have to pay him the remainder of his contract. Oh, man. Can you believe it? He's interviewing people. Eddie and I got interviewed yesterday. I tried to take the job. He's willing to. He's not going to rule out anybody. Yeah. And I realized, oh, it's the Raiders. Forget it. Yeah. We didn't want it. So bad. 570-1053 is the phone number. Our text number is 35253. So, Skye, what is the deal with this chef in England? Well, a chef and one of his friends. Well, he's like an aspiring chef. You know, he's not a full-time chef. And one of his friends wanted to see who could eat the hottest thing. So they were like making up these.
concoctions in the kitchen with hot peppers. And, you know, I read about like a tomato sauce, a really spicy, spicy tomato sauce. Yeah. So one of the dudes. Isn't there a point, and Sky, I know you like hot food. Eddie, you're pretty okay with hot food. But doesn't there come a point where it goes beyond the word spicy? Absolutely. Because to me, spicy is like, hmm. That's got a little zest to it, doesn't it? Kick. It's got a little kick. But something happens. Something happens where it's like, oh, ah, ooh. It doesn't taste good. It's like, ouch. I'm crying. My nostrils are... My tongue fell out. It's like a second degree sunburn in my mouth. Well, that is something that Sky could probably speak to. You know what I'm saying? Quick call Kaiser. There's something we could put on it. Eddie, do you know that story? I don't even know what you guys are talking about. Can we just get through this story, please, before we move to another one? What are you looking at me for? Just saying. Well, all I know is that...
Sean brought something up. I'm not sure if everybody's... Everybody knows, Mike. We've told the story 8 million times. Not everyone, because we have new listeners all the time. We do not. No one cares for this show. Every minute, in fact. As long as no new listeners are calling to say, I don't get this story, then we're fine. And so far, there are nobody. There is nobody calling, so there's no problem. We can move on. I kind of feel left out, but that's cool. Well, you shouldn't, because you've heard the story a million times. And George Chamberlain is back. Sky, you just got saved by George Chamberlain. I don't think George has ever heard the story. George wants to hear the story, okay? George is good. We'll have to come back to this story if there's anybody that has never heard it before. Mikey Show, hello. Mikey Show, hello. Yes, I'm not sure about... The story with Sky. I'd like to hear about that. Oh, really? Oh, I'm sure you're not. I'm not 100% sure that this isn't AO, by the way. I'm not 100% sure of that. Let's all focus on George, please. I'll tell you what. Hang up, and I'll explain the story to you after we talk about the economy, all right? Perfect. Thank you. All right, Seth, clear these lines out. Clear these lines out. I want people.
To call us right now at 570-1053 because we have George Chamberlain back. And last week we took calls from people that had all kinds of money questions. And so now, by the way, George, can you mention again? Because my wife and I were wondering about this. You mentioned or actually somebody called and asked you about some sort of college thing for kids. And you were saying. You were going, well, there's something better that you could do. Right. What was that called? Okay. What was the deal called that you said was better? The original thing that the caller asked about was called a 529 plan, which is a college savings plan. Okay. Which is fine. I mean, it's great. The money grows tax-free if you use it to pay for college expenses. The thing I, my preference is something called a... educational savings account. It's also referred to as a Coverdale account, C-O-V-E-R-D-E-L-L, Coverdale account. You can put $2,000 a year into this account, and the money grows, again, tax-free if used for education. But it's not just limited to college education. The 529 plan can only be used for college. The Coverdale account can be used to pay for
If your kid needs a computer, you can use it to buy a computer, and you're paying with tax-free dollars. And, George, you said that the Coverdale account is called an education what? Savings account. ESA, Educational Savings Account. Savings account. Okay, cool. Yeah, those are great. They're great. Awesome. 570-1053, if you have a money-type question for George, now is the time to call and find out more about anything that has to do with money. what happened yesterday or what you should do in terms of college accounts or what you should. If it has to do with money and you have a question, go ahead and call and ask George. George, is right now a good time to buy stock? We touched on this last week. I want people that didn't hear it to hear it again. If you need the money next month, next year, no, probably should not. If you don't need the money for 5, 10, 15, 20 years or more, you got to take advantage of this stuff. Stuff is historically cheap right now. Very cheap. By the way, one of the things yesterday that kind of got lost in the minutia, oil prices dropped $10 a barrel yesterday. Did they? Whoa. So we're below $100 a barrel. We're up a little bit off that. We're about $96, $97 a barrel, something like that this morning. That's good news. This stuff will get to the pump. How long does that take, by the way? Oh, man. You know, it seems that when oil goes up, it happens immediately. When oil goes down, it drags a little bit.
Here's another one of my wacky forecasts. I see a year from now oil prices $2.25, $2.50 at the most. No, you do not. George Chamberlain, bite your tongue. Wait, George, you're saying you think it's quite possible that when we talk on September 30th of 2009 that we have paid $2.25 for gasoline? Could be less than that. A gallon. I hope so. I hope so. P1 Brett. Brett, are you there? Yes. Go ahead. Hi, this is Brett. And George, I had a question for you. I've got a considerable amount of money. Well, to me, our savings is in a money market account. Go ahead. Go ahead, Brett. I just wanted to find out if that money, if I should be thinking about putting it back into my checking. Or do I leave it in the money market knowing that the market right now is really volatile? All right, let's explain what Brett has. First of all, he has a money market mutual fund account, which is by definition a mutual fund. But money market accounts are like a savings account. Historically, there is no fluctuation in value. A dollar is a share and a share is a dollar, and that's the way it's always been. And you put money into one of these accounts, leave it there for as long as you want, take it out any time you want, no penalties, nothing like that, and you earn a competitive rate of interest.
There was a little problem with money market accounts. A third of all money invested in mutual funds is invested in these accounts, which is kind of crazy. But we're talking about maybe like $3 to $4 trillion people have money sitting in these. It's like a savings account. Is this an IRA or is that different? You can do it anywhere. You can use it in an IRA, but you can use it anywhere you want. It's just like any other investment that's out there. It's an option you can choose. Okay. We had a little hiccup a couple of weeks ago where one of the larger institutional big money market funds saw its value drop below a dollar a share, got to 97 cents. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but it caused a run on these things because there is no insurance on these things. There was no insurance on this thing. They just passed a week or so ago. an FDIC type of insurance on money market funds for a year. So there is a protection in there that you have the same protection now that you do on a bank account, a CD or something like that. So I wouldn't do it, Brett. I wouldn't take your money out about if you were fearful about losing it. It's not the best place to have your money long term. I don't know how old you are, but you actually should be a little bit more aggressive than a money market account, which is earning 2% or 3% after taxes. What do you mean by that?
What do you recommend? I mean, I'm a novice at it, but I do want to, you know, I've got a 10-year-old and a 3-year-old. I'm 42 years old, and, you know, I'd like to start using that money better. What should he do, George? This is the time you put the pedal to the metal, buddy. You know, you've got to do it now. You've got to do it now. You go to Vanguard, Vanguard.com, largest family of mutual funds, low fee, no load, mutual funds, okay? You take $1,000. You take whatever you want. You put it into their S&P 500 index fund, and you forget about it. You forget about it, okay? Right. You just let it go. And when you're ready to retire in 20 years, that $1,000, do the multiple on this. That $1,000 will be worth $10,000 or $20,000. So do the multiple on it and see what you get from there. And there you go. Thank you, George. And you put your money into it. You put that same money, leave it in the Money Market Mutual Fund. You leave the same $1,000 in a Money Market Mutual Fund. 20 years from now, it'll be worth maybe $3,000. So maybe, maybe. You know, this next question, I think may have been answered by what you just said, but because I don't know much, I'm not sure. Okay. So this will really help me to understand. P1 Joe, are you there? Yes, I am. Joe, what's your question for George Chamberlain? Good morning, everybody. It's P1 Joe. Yeah, I heard you say something.
$50 to get into stocks, but I mean, I don't know anything about stocks. So what kind of stocks are you talking about, and who do I call? All right, let me ask you a question, okay? What's your favorite drink in the morning? You like coffee? You like Coke? What do you like? You know, I'm a caffeine freak, so I go to 7-Eleven and buy coffee a lot. Sometimes I go to Coffee Bean or Starbucks. Good for you. Okay. What kind of cell phone are you talking on? LG. Okay. Verizon. All right. There you go. Okay. Let's go with the second part, okay, because Starbucks does not have the program or neither does 7-Eleven. Verizon has a direct purchase program. You can go to their website and go to Verizon website. You'll find investor relations on there. They have a program where you can buy the stock directly from them. You don't have to call anybody. You don't have to go to a broker. who's only going to make you broker. And you can buy directly from them. And again, I don't know their program specifically, but a lot of companies out there have this direct purchase program where you can buy the stock for 50 bucks. You can make an investment of 50 bucks. You go into a broker office and say, I got 50 bucks to invest. I mean, they're going to scatter like cockroaches when the lights come on. I mean, they don't want to talk to you. So you can do this now yourself. You just go right there. You set up this account. It takes like two minutes to do. Boom, you're ready to go.
And even better than that, you can set it up so that automatically every month they take $25, $50, whatever you want, out of your bank account and invest it for you automatically. See, that's how you've got to invest. You've got to get it on automatic pilot. You've got to have it happening without thinking about it. That's what 401Ks do and stuff like that. It's automatic investing. But here's a way to do it, and invest in things you know and understand. There's a website called DripInvestor, D-R-I-P-Investor.com. And the DRIP is a reference not to the personality of people that go there, but that stands for Dividend Reinvestment Program. So it's dripinvestor.com. Go down to the bottom right-hand corner. You'll see a place where you can click on what the guy that puts this website out calls No Load Stocks. And it's about 400 companies that have this direct purchase program where you can buy the stuff directly from the company without going through a broker and in many cases invest as little as $25 or $100. Disney is a classic example. Disney has one of these programs. Their minimum investment is $1,000. But if you say, I'll sign up to the program and I'll give you $100, but I'll invest $100 on a regular basis with you, they'll let you in the door for $100. Disney's a great stock to own. It's a great stock to own. And you can do it without going through a broker and getting all worked up about it. And basically what it means, let's say that you had enough to where...
And I'm just going to try to make it easy because we're going to take the example of Disney. Okay. And I'm going to tell Disney, once per month, I'm going to give you $1,000. Okay. Okay. Or 50 or 100. Okay. Whatever you want. And you don't have to give it to them. They'll come and take it from you. Okay. I want you to take $1,000 a month from my checking account. Okay. And Disney, that means I'm going to be having you take $12,000 from me a year. Right. Is this something that is going to be good for us 10, 20, 30, 40 years from now? Well, listen, I'll let you answer that question, okay? Let's think about Disney, okay? Theme parks, ABC, ESPN, movies. They are the classic growth company for the American consumer. You know, as bad as the economy is, you've been to Disneyland lately? It is shoulder to shoulder in that part, okay? People dropping $85 a head to get in there, okay? And buying, you know, spending $15 to buy a stinking hamburger that's not even hot, okay? Okay? You know, but you wouldn't know there was a bad economy you go into Disneyland, okay? It seems to be in recession and immune. It's not going to happen. It's the happiest place on earth. There you go. You can't beat that. So, you know, you got to love that kind of company. Now, would I just buy Disney? See, that would...
I shouldn't be saying here. I shouldn't be saying something like this because you want to own more than Disney. You want to be more diversified than just one stock. How many? Well, that's why I like mutual funds. You can buy a mutual fund that is going to own hundreds of stocks. Okay. So there's a lot of different ways to do that. But I like the whole thing of ownership of companies. If you own Disney stock or you own Coca-Cola stock or you own McDonald's stock or you own Starbucks stock or whatever. You get the sense of what investing is all about. Sometimes owning mutual funds doesn't have a lot of pizzazz personality to it. You own a company stock, you're going to feel like you're committed to it. You're going to watch it and you're going to enjoy the growth of it over the years. It's fantastic. It's a fun way to go. I may have mentioned this last week when we talked. Investing is like anything else. It's like learning how to ride a bike. You can read books about how to ride a bike. You can watch videos about how to ride a bike. You don't learn how to ride a bike until you put the cheeks in the seat and you start pedaling. It's as simple as that, okay? And that's what investing is all about. You've got to do it, and you might fall off and skin your knee up a little bit, but you'll learn how to do it. P1 Syab is on the line. Are you there, Syab? Yes, I am. Do you have a question for George Chamberlain? Yeah. I was wondering what you think of gold and silver prices and what you think they're going to do in the current market, knowing that historically people go to those as kind of safe havens.
And then the second question that follows up with that is, how much do futures in those gold and silver, how much do they really affect the current market? Yeah, good question. I've been around this thing for a long time. I remember back in 1980 when gold hit $800. And everybody was lining up to buy the stuff. I mean, because there were these people out there saying gold's going to 2000, going to 2000. You got to own gold right now. This is back in 1980. OK, gold almost in short order within a couple of years was down to two hundred dollars. OK. And so all of these people were stuck holding gold that they bought at eight hundred dollars. That's now worth two hundred dollars. And so it took from 1980. to 2007 for gold to get back to where it had been. That's a long wait. That's a long wait. But gold bugs are like that. Gold bugs really are, well, first of all, most gold bugs believe the end of the world is at hand. Now, they may be right. I don't know. We'll all find out together. So I see all this mania for gold again, and I just sort of say, don't you look back, don't you study history, don't you pay attention to stuff like this.
It's wacky because gold has become the safe haven for a place to invest your money. That's kind of, to me, just really messed up. I don't understand that. But that's going on now. I'm not a gold bug, but I never discourage anyone who wants to own gold from owning it. If you want to own gold... Go buy gold coins. Go buy gold stocks. Go buy whatever works for you. And, you know, put some of your money in gold. And if everything does go to hell in a handbasket, you've got some protection. But historically speaking, you're saying right now would be one of the worst times to buy gold. You know, it wouldn't be. History would tell us this is probably not a great time to be buying gold. What about bling, George? Yeah, bling. Bling's a good thing. Bling is a good thing. You got it. Thinking about putting a lot of money in bling that we just didn't know. That's really important. That's right. George Chamberlain, thank you as always. Enjoy doing it, guys. For those of you that are on hold, I'm sorry, man. I wish we could get to all of them, but we could literally. We've got emergency crews attending to an accident in Alpine eastbound. It's just past East Willows Road, so watch for that. Coming into the city, though, on the westbound side of the 8, not too bad, but you are seeing some traffic developing now right around Las Coches out to East Main Street. Then again, La Mesa Boulevard off and on to Lake Murray. One more time, here's the 805. West 94 in the King Freeway, also backing up now from Federal to the 805, then again into downtown. Both the 5 and the 805 northbound getting tougher out of Chula Vista now up in the National City. 805 slows again out of Kearney Mesa with a 52. Heading south of the 15, there's a new accident there, El Norte Parkway to watch for. And then once you get into Escondido, backing up off that 78 to down the Via Rancho Parkway. And then once you get down to the 56, coming out of Carmel Mountain Ranch, Somebody lost just a load of gravel that people are hitting, and it's throwing up the gravel on your windshield, pitting your windshield on your car. So be very, very careful there. It's hit several cars there. Once again, the South 15 as you come into Carmel Mountain Ranch down to the 56. And you're seeing some slow traffic on that 56 westbound from Frank to Santa Fe Farms to the 5. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rockwood 053. And now, another reason to switch to GEICO.

Travis Barker was released from the Georgia Burns Center yesterday and is now traveling home to L.A. by bus after saying he will never fly again. Wow. The White Sox stay alive beating the Tigers in the make-up game 8-2 and will play the Twins in a one-game playoff today to determine the AL Central winner. Oh, wow. That should be exciting. Yeah. Skye, I thought he was pimping his room out for two weeks. What's going on? Yeah, that's what Jermaine Dupree went and visited him in the Georgia Burn Center over the weekend and talked to the press on the way out, saying that Travis had just pimped out his room and was going to be staying there for two weeks. And then late yesterday, we found out that he left the Georgia Burn Center on bus, by bus, because he says he will never get in a plane again. So he's driving from Georgia to L.A., where they say when he gets to L.A., we'll actually check back into the hospital. for treatment so he's still undergoing treatment and still needs to be in the hospital but i guess he now wants to be closer to home in the hospital really yeah pretty crazy did you read the people magazine article on it on on the crash it was the one oh it was the clay aiken i'm gay issue oh yeah did you read the travis barker story in there did i read it i didn't know this but again i guess travis barker was
deathly afraid of flying anyway. It's the reason he was in that small aircraft. No way. He refused to fly coach or whatever. And DJ AM was like, I think it was DJ AM, but somebody was like, dude, just charter a flight, man. And he didn't want to do either one. He didn't like flying. And not only that, when they slid off the wing of the aircraft, they airlifted DJ AM To the burn unit, Travis Barker said, no way, I'm not getting back up. Wow. So they had to take him in an ambulance. No way. He wouldn't get in the life flight. He refused to get in the life flight. So same thing, you know, John Madden has never been in an airplane accident, but he refuses to fly. And it's the reason that he's got that, you know, real plush.
You know, Madden bus or whatever. Oh, I had no idea. Yeah, he don't like flying. Really? He is deathly afraid of flying. He's never been in an accident, but he hates it. Oh, my God. So he travels to every single game, every week. Same with Tony Kornheiser. For real? Yeah. I didn't know that. I mean, that's crazy to have a job where you travel so much, but refuse to fly. You should see these buses, though. Really? They're pretty decked out. Oh, yeah. They're nice. They're pretty decked out. Could you do that, Eddie? Oh, yeah. I mean, with... You know, satellite TV, video games hooked up, movies, you know, a comfortable bed in the back. Yeah. I absolutely would do it. The only thing that has changed it for me is growing tomatoes. If I didn't have to grow tomatoes, I could live in a bus probably the rest of my life. I really could. As long as.
As long as I can get out, you know, I mean, everybody wants to get out and stretch, you know, and like, you know, stretch a little bit. Rob, no way for you? No. Really? And you could live in a bus? Oh, dude, I love confined spaces. It makes me feel safe. I'm the opposite of claustrophobic. Sky, claustrophobic. Me, the opposite of claustrophobic. Have you seen those hotels in like Japan where you sleep in those little tiny spaces? I think that's fantastic. The capsules. Yeah. No. No. I feel, you know what? The only thing that would make me feel better about that is that it was one of those ones that's real super high so nobody could get to it. Yeah. You know what I mean? Hi, Rob. But, yeah, Rob, if you somehow, now. No way. I would want it decked out, obviously. You know, you'd want it decked out. I don't know if you guys have ever seen these specials on TV about these NASCAR dudes and their traveling homes. Their, and I use finger quotes, RVs. Because what they really look like on the inside is like, you ever been out at the grocery store and they have those free magazines of San Diego homes that are like $30 million? You know what I'm saying? They're free. And you get them and you just brought them. And it's like La Jolla Dream Home, $17 million. And they show pictures of the inside of the house. You've seen these. That's what those things look like on the inside. These things that these NASCAR guys travel in, they look like those La Jolla homes.
on the inside. They're decked out with granite. Where they sleep is like this big, gorgeous, plush bed, and it's just beautiful, you know? But yeah, there's a lot of people. They just will not fly. Here's the text messages that we're getting at 35253. Mikey, I feel so adult being able to understand this economy stuff now. I know. That's people on Girly Girl. Yeah. Awesome. For real. Like, dude, this text message, Puts it perfectly. Mikey, I'm so glad you brought that segment back. George Chamberlain is great. I love the way that he talks to the public like a normal dude. Thanks for all you guys do. P1 Blue. No kidding, man. I get it when he talks about it. And if there's any place where you kind of don't get it, you go, what does that mean? And he just breaks it down. Mikey, I'm a new listener. Please don't forget to explain the Sky story. P1 for three years.
I almost forgot. Oh, Skye's sunburn. Oh, what's the deal? Well, she had a sunburn one time. Oh, everybody gets sunburned. No, not like this. What do you mean? This one was bad. It was a second degree. Oh, so like blisters and she's... Not blisters. No, no, no, no. But painful. Nonetheless, Skye, right? It was very painful. Sounds like she's in pain right now. She's reenacting it. Oh, okay. She's reenacting it. That was... It was bad, though, right? No, I've been paying for you guys rehashing this story 8 million times. Well, wait a minute. That person's a new listener. They've never heard it. So what happened was she had to go home from work. That's what you were going to ask, right? You were going to say, go home from where? Go home from work. But I don't understand. It was a sunburn. It was painful. So painful. In fact, brought her to tears. Sky, am I right? It brought you to tears. It hurt real bad, right? It was painful. How can that be? It was painful. It stung. It stung. I think we've all had sunburns. Well, but Eddie, this was the type where you couldn't touch it. Well, nobody, you don't want to touch any kind of sunburn. No, no, no, no. But what I'm saying is, is that it was painful to the touch. If you touched it, bad pains. Am I right? Travis Barker has, you know, a second. Well, that's extreme. That's extreme. That's third degree. These were second. So.
So she was in the burn ward. No, she was not in the burn ward. She was in what we call the Kaiser ward. Let me explain. Okay, yeah. This whole Kaiser business. Her mom picked her up, took her to... Did she drive home? No, she could not drive. Blinding pain. That's right. Shooting pain. Shooting pain. Her mom picked her up. That's the sound of them. Her mom picked her up, took her home. They called the Kaiser helpline. Stupid. But why don't you just put some aloe on it? Well... Tried that. Tried it. Oh. Tried everything. Yeah. Been there, done that, had the t-shirt. Incinerated the aloe. That's right. Yeah. Spontaneously combusted into steam. Oh, God. So they went home. They called the Kaiser on-call nurse. Yeah. Kaiser on-call nurse recommended urine. Mike, come on. It's the truth. I thought you were being honest about it with the listeners. Don't do a bit. No, I'm not. Come on. Now. The only thing that has ever been called into question is that Skye says that it was applied using a Big Gulp cup. Oh, gross. Her mother applied it. Her mother has a different recollection. I trust her. Her mom remembers it being in a spray bottle. She's the best. That she put it in a spray. Her mom put it in a spray bottle and applied it.
I don't know which is worse. It didn't work, though. Well, what a surprise. Is it a stingray we're talking about here? Wait a minute. I've had time to evaluate it, and, you know, the urine is supposed to pull the sting out, but the sting wasn't my problem. It was due to the swelling. Which was pinching nerves. That's right. Nerve damage, guys. Nerve damage. So then I had to go to the doctor the next day and he prescribed me a steroid cream. Steroid. Pill paste. And then Sky hit 350 the next year as a result of the steroids. I knew something was going on. As a result of the steroids. Okay. That's quite a story, Mike. That's a heck of a story. I'll tell you that much right now. I'm surprised you don't tell that more often. Shut up. Mikey, what the heck does a $700 billion bailout even mean? Who gets the money? Who pays it back? That's P1DP. As far as I know, the people that get the money are the big companies so that they have what George Chamberlain referred to as liquid assets.
Liquidity. Yeah, liquidity. I love it. Which is one of the reasons that a lot of people are kind of confused about this whole thing. So it's like, oh, let's get this straight. Me, Joe Schmoe, who works every day and pays my taxes. My tax money is now going to go to bail out these billionaires in their mansions. Like, that's lame. Well, that's really what it is. So I'm bailing out the companies that are chasing me for my money. But you realize that it affects you. It affects you. How does it affect me? It affects you like he said. It affects you like he said. All the economy slows down because these guys are jerks. If we don't do this, then you don't get paid. Yeah. See, dude, there's no doubt about it. They are greedy and we've gotten into this mess. But if I'm helping them out, shouldn't they be like, we'll wipe out some of that debt because it's nothing and we're getting $700 billion. That'd be wonderful. Where do I write a letter? Well, allegedly the taxpayers will now become like future stockholders in this company. And they say eventually someday. Yeah, because it's the government panic. Yeah, someday when these companies rebound, we'll get our money back.
and or maybe even a profit. Hold your breath for that day. This is ridiculous. Well, it's ridiculous. I don't want to understand anymore. The reason that we got here is because the companies were super greedy and ridiculous and doing all the stuff with homes where they were taking guys like you and like Zeth and this is the truth. They were taking guys like you and like Zeth who make what you make and they were letting you guys Buy homes. Super nice ones. Where was I when this was going on? Dude, I'm not kidding. The only reason you don't have a nice house, well, you probably wouldn't have it now because you'd be in foreclosure. You'd be in foreclosure. I would have had one heck of a run, though. Dude, seriously. And that's what a lot of guys listening right now, they're listening to this and they're like, yeah, I did. I did. Wow, you should have called me, man. Yeah, but now look, dude. Now their credit's jacked. My credit's jacked and I never once owned a home. And now when I get like... Between 10 and 12 calls from debt collectors while we're on the show, I never answer it because I don't have the money for them. But now I'm going to answer after the show, and I'm going to be like, listen, this $700 million bailout thing that's coming to you guys, you know what? Just take that and cover my tab with it. He doesn't understand. Cover my tab.
Bunch of jerks. I don't think he understands. They're taking you down because you owe them money. You owe them money. And I'm paying them with my tax dollars. Boston Robert question. I'm moving to Europe. Besides college. They don't pay taxes. Besides college. They do. What sorts of companies are calling you wanting money from you? Besides college. My college debt. I'm fine with that. I'm up to par. Oh, that's not even an issue? Yeah, they garnish my wages. So what sorts of. Teddy Roosevelt. What sorts of companies are calling you? Ashley knows all about Teddy. Yeah, he's my fave. He's a good man. He instituted some financial plan. It helps you with college. Yeah, yeah. So what kinds of companies are calling you? It's like credit card companies. How dare they? Hang on, hang on, hang on. Let's hang on here. So you're saying in actual numbers, how many credit card companies? Seriously, don't say seven or eight. Is it like two or three? Oh, no. It's more than two or three. It's about five. I get calls from Nebraska. Right, right, right. I get calls from... I don't even know anybody in Nebraska. I don't. That's why I don't pick up. I'm like Nebraska. Nebraska. Who is that? Who are you calling me? Yeah. But so you had like five credit cards? Uh-huh. Yeah. That's what got us in this problem.
You know, that is what got us in this problem. Stop sending me stuff. Definitely. I'm not going to. That's right. It's a bunch of jerks. Their fault. They put it in his mailbox. Hey, hold on. Hold on. What am I supposed to do? Not take the money? Free money. Free money. There it is. Hey, and hold on. He's right. He's right. It is all their fault. They send it to people who are not qualified, and then they give them whatever they want. Yeah. They're not qualified in two ways. They're not qualified, one, to pay it back, and they're not qualified, two. To understand. Well, it's crazy. Like, there's a HBO documentary on. I forget what it's called. But something about credit maxed out. Something like that. And we watched it. And, you know, there's these horror stories. Like this mom telling a story about how her daughter went away to college. Got all these credit cards. She didn't understand. Couldn't, you know, qualify for it. But they gave her the money anyway. totally in debt, gets totally depressed because creditors are calling her all the time, kills herself over the debt, and the credit card companies are still sending her credit cards in the mail to this day. That's crazy. It's disgusting. Now, in that particular case, I say it is terrible what they're doing. It is terrible what they're doing. Now, I don't know that you can necessarily...
placed the blame on the credit card company for what she did. What she did is on her own thing. But obviously, when you put the two together and put it in context, it's terrible. Eddie, did you get a bunch of free credit cards when you were young? Well, you know me. I was very responsible. The way my folks raised me, you know, they started me real small with my own. like gas card. Right. And I established a small amount of credit that way. Right. Then I would get a small credit card with a small limit so that I wouldn't, you know, have like a $10,000 limit. I would have like a thousand dollar limit and I would pay it every month. Right. And then when I was able to do that and then, you know, just move up slowly from the process. And so I never got into crazy debt or into any kind of crazy trouble because I did it the right way, I think. Eddie is very responsible when it comes to money. You know, pretty much stuff. Practical. Practical. Like with my stuff, I was literally paying other bills with these things. Yeah. Because I couldn't. Give me an example. Like you paid what with it? Because I had certain things like I finished off my court payments. I was paying like. With credit cards. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So to take care of certain stuff. And I have to pay. I have a $20,000 outstanding school loan debt.
I asked you if you had school stuff. But I'm caught up with it. Like that's one of the places that, you know what I mean? Like I'm responsible with certain bills, but there's certain stuff that I have to let go. Because it's like if I paid, I literally can't afford to pay every bill. I pick and choose. And it was this free credit card, you know, hey, we'll give you some money now, that I was going, oh, dude, I take this money, I get caught up with that, and I don't have to worry about that one anymore. And then in the meantime, it was like when when I remember when gas was going close to five dollars a gallon. That's when I was pinched so hard where it was like I had no money. And anytime I touched money, it was already owed somewhere else between my like my teeth going to doctor. You know what I mean? Crazy money that I just didn't have. So I'm going they're offering me free money. I'm going to use this and say, you know what? I'm going to let that one go. But at least I'm not. you know, getting far behind in some serious stuff. Right. So it was like... You know what you should do? I was in a catch-22 no matter what. You know what you should do, Rob? Here's some advice. Move. Change my name. No. I think it's Brazil that... Rub a bank. I think I may have some sound advice for you. I like it. I think that you should take advantage of a guy named George Chamberlain being in the building. Mm-hmm. Tell him your story and say, what do you think I should do?
I just feel like if I approached him outside of the show, he'd be like, look at this hooligan. No, no, no. We'll say it right. He's a nice guy. He's a nice guy. Oh, no, no, no. He's a wicked nice guy. I just feel like, you know, like, I don't know. Next time he's in here, you know what we'll do? There's only about 900 billion Robs listening right now. Right? I'm one of them. There's two of them here. Yeah. There's one over there growing a big, thick mustache. Looks pretty good, by the way. I like it. I like it. It's a disguise. I like it. My wife is totally in. My wife loves the retro 70s stash. I mean, is he, like, actually mining for gold with that mustache? I think so. I think so. Well, what he said was... Shouldn't you be tending bar in a saloon? Well, Zeth had a dream that he won the lottery. Yeah, he did. That is a dream. He said he was looking in the mirror last night, and he asked himself, how can I make my face say, I mean business? Like funny business? Somewhat. So he has decided to give himself an epic mustache, and that sucker, I like it. I like it. Take it in, Mike. I love it, dude. It's very retro 70s, and I think that it's big. 1870s?
I think the big, giant, bushy mustaches should come back. He's going to grow that sucker real mean and strong. Daniel Plainview. That's right. It's Daniel Plainview. You got to start waxing the tips. That's right. I'm on it, dude. That's right. Let's see. Mikey, this question. Oh, and we can ask him this. We'll grab him in the hallway or something. He had somebody was texting us and asking us more about that 529 plan. Some people have the 529 plan for their kids, for their college. And what George was telling us is there's something called an ESA, Education Savings Account. It's otherwise known as a Coverdell account. And Sky and I were kind of looking into it. And I know you can go to Vanguard.com and it'll tell you about it. Yeah, I think the name is Coverdell, the ESA. is like an umbrella term for a bunch of different educational savings accounts. Right. Coverdale's one of them. Coverdale's the one that sounds really sweet. Yeah. So if you want to know more about it, go to savingforcollege.com. Oh, I like it. Savingforcollege.com. And it'll tell you all kinds of stuff about that, you know, if you're looking into it. Or YouTube it. Yeah, YouTube it. You can always just YouTube it. Okay. Easy way out. I didn't know.
Still haven't got to the Britney story. I'm trying to get there. I'm trying to get there. I'm going to make you a solemn promise that when we get back, that's the first thing we're doing. I'll hold you to it. All right. Text number 35253. Phone number 5701053. Good morning, family. This is the Mikey Show. Better mileage tips presented by Chevron. How fast are you going right now? Really? That fast? So what's your hurry? Did you know that if you slowed down just a little, you'd get better mileage? It's true. If you drove 55 miles per hour on the highway instead of 65 miles per hour, you could go about 30 to 60 more miles on a tank of gas. It's like the story of the tortoise and the hare. You know, slow and steady wins the race. And that also applies to city driving. When you're stopped at a traffic light and it turns green, avoid the jackrabbit start. Don't punch the gas. It's not a race.
Just accelerate smoothly and gradually. And let's face it, you'll catch up to those other cars at the next light anyway. So remember, a heavy foot equals a light gas tank. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. Results may vary. Yeah, this is the number one iTunes song being downloaded. And by the way, Pink says that American audiences don't get her. Yeah, she said after this song, number one, nobody could believe she was number one. She says everybody still thinks she's just a psycho. She says she tries to laugh and not pay attention to it, but she's pretty in your face, and that can work against her. People just still don't understand her. I would agree with her. Do you think, Eddie, that she is saying that from the point of view of like, they don't get me because I'm a woman that's in your face? Or is she just saying in your face? She's just in your face and that's the problem. I don't think we get her because she busts out those rock moves. Yeah, that's what it is. And then we're like, what's that all about? Some people don't speak rock moves. Some people just don't speak rock moves. Simps.
Is she got a chick perspective, Sky? Is it like, they don't get me because I'm a chick and I'm in your face and people don't really, they aren't used to that. I don't know exactly what she's saying. I mean, that makes a lot of sense. But at the same time, just knowing Pink, you know, it could definitely go the other way. Because I think, hey, listen, Pink, I don't think it's because you're a woman and you're in people's faces. I think it's because you're in people's faces with your rock moves. Yeah. Sweaty armpits. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It'll do it. That'll do it. Two things I didn't... Okay, so I got to get to this. Okay. First, the chef story. And because that one, we have really kept people hanging on the line. And then I'll tell you about the Britney Spears thing. But the chef story is a dude in England because we just didn't get to wrap it up. Right. Yeah, so aspiring chef, him and his friend were having a contest who could eat the hottest stuff. They're making different sauces with hot chilies. And the aspiring chef ate one and then started to kind of break out in this rash and just feel uncomfortable. And then that night when he went to sleep, he was like all itchy and rashy and still not feeling well. And so his girlfriend says that she basically scratched his back until he fell asleep and then woke up in the middle of the night.
Couldn't wake up. She couldn't wake him. And he passed away. And he recently had a medical exam for work and he, you know, passed with flying colors. So they're going to do an autopsy to try and figure out, you know, was he allergic to this specific thing or was it just so intensely hot? Yeah. Like what if it was real intensely hot? What actually killed him? Right. Did it stop him from breathing? Did it like I would love to know what happened? His insides. Yeah. What did it do? It's pretty crazy, though. Okay, and then Britney Spears. The story is that that paparazzi dude, who everybody kind of looks sideways at when she was dating that dude. What's his name? Adnan? Adnan? Oh, wow. Which sounds like a pain reliever. Can somebody give me a couple of Adnans? Well, apparently that guy that she was dating, Adnan, is now telling the world that he has a sex tape of him and her. Yeah, which is interesting because remember when they flew out and went to, was it Rosarito?
Yeah, yeah. We were staying in Rosarito and she was running around town in like a pink wig in Rosarito wearing this pink wig. Well, that's allegedly where the video was shot. Really? And they say it's a two-hour long video and she's wearing that pink wig the whole time and it's shot in Mexico. So he is shopping the tape around but refuses to give any more specific details about it until he locks down a deal. Now, you always have to ask yourself what is motivation? What motivates somebody? Now, is it... Surely money. Well, sure. I mean, money is obviously going to play probably the biggest role in it. But a lot of people, if they're still in a relationship with somebody, don't necessarily go for the money, even though they could. Yeah. Which leads you to believe, oh, I wonder if he's a disgruntled ex. I wonder if he's disgruntled. I wonder if he is no longer in her life and she doesn't want him in her life anymore. Now he's mad. You know what I'm saying? Did you consider this? He's English. Oh. Didn't even think about it. How about that? What do you think about that? A flat? What about that? Big time flat. He's a flat. Ashley, what were you going to say? No, I was just going to say, I mean, this guy originally was a paparazzi. So it's like, to me, I don't think he's like, oh, missing her. I don't think he ever really liked her to begin with, in my opinion. Automatic scumbag. Really? You think it was all about? Anybody that's paparazzi-like or has anything to do with paparazzi. I know where you're going.
Rocky, this phone is ringing. Okay. Because I would really say something else. Hello. Hey, guys, it's Dr. Wayne. Hey, what's up, Doc? Hey, not too much here. I just wanted to call in and let everybody know before we get started that I am actually a licensed chiropractor in the area and also specializing. That's your way. Every time. I'm going to talk about Britney Spears. I don't understand why you're... What's up? Oh, you guys are still on the Britney topic. Oh, we were talking about it. I'm not really sure why you're... Oh, sorry, guys. I'm calling in about a completely different topic, actually. Oh, okay. I was actually calling in because I support Zeth getting that mustache. I think those things are pretty cool. They're coming back. Wow. And I just wanted to support that. I think they're pretty cool. Really? You haven't even seen it, Dr. Wayne. Well, I know what you're talking about. I mean, you mentioned that hunky Daniel Day-Lewis. Hunky? Honey, they're laughing because you call them hunky. That's my wife, Peg. Now my name is Peg. She calls them hunky sometimes, too. That's the entire reason that I even have that, if we're being real honest about it. Anyway, maybe you could put it on my Facebook. What do you think about that? Your Facebook? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Why your Facebook? Can I have your, I am? What? Dr. Wayne. I'm just saying, you don't have to. It's just a suggestion. I don't know what your problem is. Please. Anyway, guys, I'll be down at the park doing push-ups later. If you guys want to come down there, or whatever. I think we know what park he's in. I'm going to be working out next to the Trans Am, and I'll have beer and an Xbox. Trans what? My Trans Am. Oh, Trans Am. Talk to you guys later. Okay, well, peace out, Dr. Wayne. Dr. Wayne, he's strange, isn't he? It's the weirdest thing when he does that. Let's see.

If you do, you're going to get a good deal on a car. It's real simple. These are very straightforward economics. One, you're in a buyer's market. Two, they're trying to make a name for themselves. And three, they got a GM in there that's for real. And he is cleaning up the place. What are you doing? Whatever it was, it wasn't good. You too. So BMW Encinitas is located on Encinitas Boulevard between the 5 and El Camino Real. I suggest that you go down there and check it out. Want to win 1 million thank you rewards points from Citibank? When you are working a chest weight exercise routine, what does it look like? I do like, you know, bench. Everybody does bench, but I do a lot of chest slides, closed grip, like push-ups. You know, you put it down to push-ups. I'll knock out maybe a hundred or so of those. Wow.
Wait, wait, wait, wait. Sean, you messed up. It sounded like you said 100. That's crazy. You meant like five, right? Yeah, you meant like five of them. No, I'll do a set. Between a day, I'll do maybe 300 of them, but I'll do them sets of 50 or 100. Wow, we're different. Yeah, yeah, we're different. Yeah. Sounds about right. Back to the Mikey Show on The Rock. It's 814. Janet Jackson was hospitalized last night after, quote, falling ill just before her concert. You guys remember that player from the Jacksonville Jaguars who got shot up in the drive-by shooting a few weeks ago? Yeah. Well, not good news for him. He is paralyzed from the waist down after one of the bullets severed his spinal cord and had to have one of his leg amputated. No way, dude. That blows. That sucks. Hey, our phone number here is 570-1053.
It is The Mikey Show. And I like Kraft macaroni and cheese with the powder. It's my favorite. And I was telling a friend of mine the other day, I could put any combination of anything in there. I could practically put anything in macaroni and cheese and like it. She said, like what? I said, name it. She goes, hot dogs. Done. Not a problem. Eddie? What? What one time? I got sick one time. Rochester, New York. Yeah. I got sick. One of the grossest things I've ever heard. It's probably too early in the morning. It's probably too early. Mike ate a giant bowl of macaroni and cheese with hamburger in it. Yeah, it's ground beef. And I was in my room and all of a sudden heard like somebody dying in the bathroom. Yeah, I got sick. Mike was barfing. So loud. It was like this. Literally knocked on the door. I'm like, dude, are you all right? I'll be fine. He was worried that I don't blame him. I was going to call the ambulance. Why were you so sick? I don't know. I don't know what made me so sick. Did you not cook the beef properly? It was probably real old. We were poor. We were, yeah. Probably sounded in the garbage can or something. Good find. Uh-huh. Oh, my God. Let's see. You know what this one over here does with her mac and cheese? What?
That one over there. Sky's looking behind her. Who are you talking about? She doesn't put the full packet of the cheese in the mac and cheese because it's too creamy. You realize they tested that over a period of time. It's too cheesy. Oh, it's not enough. I also use soy milk instead of regular milk. And I put sour cream, Ashley says, instead of milk. Instead of milk? I'm going to throw up my mouth. Saliva just fell in my mouth. And then I put about half the amount of butter that they recommend. I use the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray. And half the cheese, too. Oh, you use the butter spray? Yeah, I use it. I can't believe it's zero calories, zero fat, same flavor. Dude, that's exactly it. What's the point of making it? How can it possibly taste exactly the same? Can you imagine if we had Ash make that macaroni and cheese and then we tasted it against just the microwave type?
Ash, I'm telling you, I will know which one is different. But it tastes good. It's like you don't even really notice, and it's so much healthier. It's worth it. Really? Macaroni and cheese is going to get healthier? Seriously? You're cutting those corners? It is macaroni and cheese. It's never going to be healthy, but it can be less fattening. I have an idea. How about if you have macaroni and cheese the normal way, but you just eat a little bit less of it? That's genius. It tastes delicious. You should write a book. But then you eat less of it. Some people have sensitive stomachs, okay? I see, I see. And they need things made special. You're smart. I understand. And is sour cream less fattening than milk? Fat-free sour cream. Yeah, which is so gross, by the way. Non-fat milk. Not the organic fat-free sour cream is what I like. It tastes the same. No, it tastes like tinfoil. No, you guys, it tastes the same. If it tasted the same, everybody would eat it. No, because people get scared they don't try it. No, please with you. Listen.
I'm going to tell you right now. That's not her name. Hang on. I'm going to, before we go any further, I'm going to give a disclaimer. A disclaimer. Oh, no. Everybody know what a disclaimer is? Yes, it's a warning. A disclaimer is, it's a heads up, you're putting it out there. Yeah. Before we go further, so that everyone knows what we're about to hear. Okay. Okay, that's all I'm saying. I'm giving a disclaimer. And the disclaimer is that some people may be offended by what they're about to hear about what Ashley had last night for dinner or for dessert. Now, no, no, no, no, no. Hang on a minute. Eddie, this one goes far and beyond your expectations or your wildest dreams. Because Eddie already has arms crossed. He's pushed away from the microphone. Like, what is this all about? Well, I mean, come on, dude. I'm just letting everyone listening know that what you're about to hear may nauseate you. You're being very dramatic. I don't appreciate it. It's really not that big a deal. I'm sure he is. He is. Sky, you really will not think this is a big deal. There's nothing like actually foul about it per se. Per se.
It will be up to each individual to decide. It's just that the concept goes against convention so much that I think that some may find it troubling to their stomach. Goes against convention says who, though. That is true. Don't we make our own? We're Americans, Mike. Certainly society, Eddie. Certainly society. Certainly as a whole. Parts of society might. Certainly as a whole. No. What part? We're disagreeing right now. Do you guys know? Suck it to me. Do you guys know what whoppers are? The little... Candy? Yeah. Whoppers? I love that. Eddie, tell everybody what whoppers are. Whoppers are like a malted ball, chocolate-covered, crunchy dessert. They're crunchy. Really crunchy. Because the malty part is like a cookie. It's a malt ball is what they are. It's a malt ball. With chocolate covering. And the malt ball is kind of like a crunchy cookie. Yes. And it's covered with... Airy. Yeah, airy. And it's covered with milk chocolate. There are these little milk chocolate balls. Okay. Well, Ashley had some whoppers.
from her bag of Halloween candy leftover. That she bought for this year. Yeah, it's crazy. I went to the store and I saw that it was on sale. Great multi-bag of Halloween candy. There's like five different flavors of candy. I'm like, oh, great. So I put it in my fridge for the kids in a month and then mommy got hungry. Mommy got hungry. And the next thing you know, all that's left is a couple of bags of Whoppers. Now, hang on. I ate the whole bag of Halloween cake. She ate the whole bag. That's not what I was going to do. But that's not even pleased. I mean, we're not even in the stratosphere. This was the leftover Whoppers. Sour cream and mac and cheese to cut corners, by the way. It's fat-free sour cream. You don't even get that. You don't even get that. You don't get that. You don't. Sheets of cookies. an entire bag of Halloween candy, but we'll use sour cream. I'll tell you what happens. Your body's like, I want some real food. Like Pac-Man. Now check it out. And those are little Whoppers? So, Mommy decided that
She wanted to make herself a sundae, okay? I like to do that. Low-fat caramel ice cream. Low-fat. What's the... Caramel swirls. Mm-hmm. Little caramel cups. Yeah. Right? Yeah, yeah. Now, check it out. Mommy had some leftover Whoppers from her Halloween bag that she devoured the other night. It took a week. Right. And Mommy didn't know how to crush them up. Right. She wanted to crush them up and put them as topping on the sundae. She didn't know how to crush them up. Yeah. So what would you guys have done? Oh, Skye, it just hit her. I saw it on her face. I saw it on her face. But I am envisioning Ashley experimenting with different things around the house. It's very easy. You put them in maybe like a Ziploc bag. Just kind of either cross them with your hands. I tried that. It hurts. It bruised my hand. It still hurts right here. Bruised her hand. I'm sure you have a rolling pin or something. Oh, yeah. Probably didn't get the right texture, though, right, Ash? If you took a rolling pin over it. Too crumbly. Too crumbly. Too crumbly. Too crumbly. Okay. All right. I think I saw on Skye's face.
I have to be wrong. I found the perfect solution. You're not wrong. I found the perfect solution. She says what I am thinking is filthy. How long have we known each other? Work like a charm. How long have we known each other? A long time, like almost 10 years. You're right about what you're thinking. It worked great, Skye. You can relate to this, I'm sure. Eddie, you just got it, I bet. We can't be right, Eddie. We can't. It worked great, you guys, like a charm. I think that maybe the audience right now is in their car going. Could she have? Would she have? No way. Won't she not be my neighbor? She put him in her mouth and crushed him up and then she spit him out all over the... Eddie just pushed the microphone away. This guy is... Eddie just pushed the microphone away. He has a very, very... I love you. He has a look of hurt on his face. That's smart, right? Eddie's got his fist up to his mouth. Well, they're going to go back in your mouth anyway. Eddie didn't know what to do. I can tell. I've known him a long time. He doesn't know what to do right now. Thank you. She crushed the...
She crunched. Sean, how you doing? Delicately. Sean. Sean. She's nauseated. That's what the chompers were meant for. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's important that you include that. Like, I really made sure to, like, chomp delicately and try not to, like, salivate too much on the chocolate so that it would be, like, melted or something. That would be gross. And I regurgitated it back onto my ice cream. Yeah. So I was very careful with the chewing of the loppers before I regurgitated it. You're kind of a perfectionist in the kitchen. No, no, no. Hang on. That's a strong word. Regurgitate's a strong word. That's what I did. That implies. that you had swallowed it and you hadn't. That would be gross. That would be gross. What she did was she did what we did before we had tools, before we had kitchen appliances. We had to use the tools God gave us and she's got in her mouth A nutcracker. A chomper. She's got a whole set of tools in there. She's got a whole set of tools. It's a toolbox in there. It really is. It's got a toolbox. Skye, is that what you were thinking? No. It wasn't? No. What were you thinking? She put them in her fingers and crushed them? No. I thought she took her shoes and crushed them. Oh, no, no. No, no, no. I was thinking her feet, too. So never in your wildest dreams. That's 100 times worse. So never in your wildest dreams. Never in your wildest dreams. Did this surpass your imagination? Mike.
Eddie's really upset. Eddie's really upset. Eddie is having a hard time. He didn't want to hear your voice. He didn't want to hear your voice. He's putting his hand up right now like a blinder on a horse because he wants to pretend that you're not there. Because he's having a hard time with this one. Have you ever eaten Whoppers before, Mike? Have you ever eaten them before? Yeah, yeah, yeah. When you eat Whoppers and you eat... The chocolate, it creates like a milky paste. Yeah, it melts. It doesn't. I swear. You put the whopper in your mouth and you very delicately go crack, crack. And so it cracks up pretty good. I think you should make one and our stump boy should have it. Come on. That's the new stump boy. And it's nice because you can like disperse it evenly over the ice cream. And I just needed one package of Whoppers. Well, I think we know what our eating challenge is for Thursday. What will it be? Whoppers. Wow. I love it. Whoppers. I love Whoppers. I love Whoppers. This is great. They sound great, and man, that'll look great. By the way, Zeth is out right now, wants to know if he should get some mac and cheese stuff. Duh. Well, I mean.
Duh. Can we make it here? I don't think we have the... Yeah, but get the sour cream. Get the non-fat or low-fat sour cream, Ash. Non-fat sour cream. Organic if you can find... If you got it. If you got it. So instead of milk, she uses... You know there's this thing called skim milk? Yeah, but I like the sour cream because it gives a creamier, thicker texture than the skimmed water. I'll say. I'll say, yeah. Basically, it turns it into whipped cream. No, it's nice. You guys don't know. It's nice. It sounds like peanut butter. You should. But don't we need a stove to make it? No, you do it. They have it. All we have to do is heat water. Oh, okay. Oil the noodles. Yeah, because they have, I think they have microwave kind now. Okay. So I know we can make that one for sure. Yeah, yeah. All we need is to get some hot water to cook those noodles, which we could probably do it in the microwave. Or maybe we can all make our own separate versions at home and bring them in tomorrow in a little Tupperware. But it would be leftover. Would that be good? Not the same. I don't know how I feel about her leftover sour cream mac and cheese. Which would I rather have, leftover sour cream mac and cheese or a fresh Ashley sundae? Oh, wow.
Mike, you wouldn't have even been able to tell that I did that, that I regurgitated the Whoppers back onto the Sunday. You would have thought that I would have crunched them up with a hammer. I want you to get a visual of that, Eddie. I want you to get a visual. It looks normal. Was your boyfriend Mark around? No. Oh my gosh, Mark. How does that thought even come into your head? I swear, it looked normal. It's a stroke of genius. And then I put a little whipped cream on top, and it was like, muah. Pure genius. Oh, this is so... Mikey Show, hello. Hey, it's Quimbe. Hi, Quimbe. Hi, Quimbe. Hi, Quimbe. So I was listening to what you guys were talking about, and I was wondering if maybe I could challenge Mommy to a Whopper eating contest. Oh, yeah. You're in. Oh, hello. I'm going down. Yeah, yeah. It would be an honor and a pleasure. Thursday. Is it Thursday, right, Eddie? Yep. I'd love to. It would be an honor and a pleasure to have you here Thursday, P1 Quimby, Hall of Famer P1 Quimby, to do it. So be here Thursday. What time? Eddie? I'll email you. I got to talk to you about some other stuff anyway.
Oh, well, all right. Trouble. Big time information. You're grounded. No, no. Oh, no. The opposite. That's right. You're being promoted. You're freed. That's right. Run free. You're off-groundation. Yes. Yes, go run. Go, little girl, go. Look outside. Thank you, Quimmy. Okay. All right. Bye. Bye. And Ashley Sunday. That's Mike. I just don't know what you guys would have preferred. She put whipped cream on it, by the way. Of course. Light whipped cream. Light whipped cream. It was great. Sean, $1 million. In cash. Of course he would. In cash. In a Samsonite. He would. Duffel bags. That makes it look... Duffel bags, Sean. Duffel bags. You unzip the duffel bag. And there you see banded fresh hundreds. She did it delicately, Sean. All you have to do is eat that sundae. And you're a germaphobe. How much? The whole. I'm a clean person.
I brush my teeth three times a day. And it shouldn't really make a difference, Sean, because the regurgitation is only on the top. So once you get through the top, it's just ice cream. That's the wrong word to use. She's merely crushing it in her mouth. That's all she's doing. Doesn't the ice cream freeze the germs? Practicing. Think about it. Germs can't survive in such a cold environment. I barely let my tongue even touch the Whopper. I strictly keep it to the side. How much would you have given to seeing her perform this task? We should YouTube it. It's got to be there, right? Oh, well, I was going to say, I can videotape myself doing it. Please do. Please videotape it. Quite frankly, I think that P1s would not only embrace this tactic, but use it on themselves and see how much easier it is. You just want another excuse to eat a sundae. Touche, Eddie. Mikey show. Hey, B-Rob, it's P1 Lizardi. It's Mikey. It's Mikey. It's Mikey. It's Mikey. Who is it? It's Mikey. Lizardi?
Yes. Hi, it's Mike. It's the same thing. Any one of us would French kiss Ashley in a minute. She's beautiful. Well, wait a minute. That is true. That is true. Hang on a second. We all would. French kissing somebody and eating a sundae in which they've used their mouth as a tool to crunch whoppers are two different things. You spit out food onto the sundae and then re-ate it. I think the French kissing is dirtier. Wait a second, Sky. You realize. You're rubbing tongues. You're rubbing tongues, bro. You have a screw loose. I'm serious. You guys are making way too big out of this. Sean, what is worse, pre-chewed Whopper or sticking your tongue in someone else's mouth? What about both at the same time? You guys sound like whining little kids. This is The Mikey Show. We're standing outside First Trust Bank with Pete Farwell, who witnessed the robbery. Pete, tell us what happened. Well, I was at the bank. But first, tell us where you got that delicious head of hair. What? Supercuts, ma'am. Oh, Supercuts, interesting. Yeah, so I was depositing money, and I'm standing in line. The one right on maple. Yeah, anyway, so I noticed this guy behind me. Now, are those highlights?
Yeah, highlights. Wow. Back to the robbery. So I dove towards the counter. Shocking. I did not know Supercuts did highlights. Would I look good as a blonde, Pete? I guess. So I got the gun and the robber was arrested. That's great, Pete. You're a real hero. Thank you. A real good-looking hero. Back to you, Gordon. When was the last time you checked the air pressure in your tires? Can't remember? Then it's definitely been too long. Did you know even tires in good shape can lose about one pound of pressure a month? And underinflated tires make your engine work harder, lowering your mileage. But don't overinflate them. You can usually find the recommended tire pressure on a sticker located on the driver's side door jamb. And speaking of air...
Air conditioning is not so hot for your car's mileage either. Whenever you turn it on, it puts an added strain on your engine. Now, at highway speeds, it's probably better to use the AC rather than roll down the windows because of the aerodynamics. But around town, enjoy the fresh air. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. This year's Sky Show is October 11th. Still slow out of La Costa in the Solana Beach. South 15 is picking up at some speed out of Escondido, but still slow from the 78 to be a ranch or a parkway. Then again, Carmel Mountain Ranch and the Poway. The westbound 56 still heavy as well from CUNA to Sur all the way to the 5 freeway. South 1683, a busy ride through Balboa Park and the West 94. Still a bit tight from 32nd Street now in the downtown. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3.

I own a spaceship. Oh, does that mean it's true? Save that clip. Sean. It's so frustrating because I can't swear. I'm Mo Rent. Come on, let's face it. And Ashley. I'm a good job. No, you're not. I am. No, you're not. The Mikey Show's on Rock 105.3. Welcome back to the show. Our friend Lori is single and she's ready to meet a dude. And so if you are a single guy...
and you want to see pictures of Lori and you want to be set up on a date with our friend Lori, go to MikeyShow.com and click on the keyword Lori and you will find it. It's pretty cool. There's pictures of her there and you can find out all about her. There's even a question and answer thing that we did with her where you find out where she's from and about her family and how old she is and kind of what she's looking for too. So check that out so you know. Kind of what she's looking for, because she ideally would like to meet a guy that's between 28 and 41. That's a pretty broad age range. So, you know, obviously anyone in their 30s, late 20s and early 40s. Makes sense. So go check it out. Lori's really pretty. She's in shape. We've known her for years. She's one of my wife's best friends, and she's a really cool chick. Everybody here on the show knows Lori. And this is one of those really cool opportunities for you guys. Now, what the deal is, is that when you get to that page, you're going to see, when you get to the Meet Lori page, you're going to see a picture of her. And it looks like a picture, like a, it looks like we've made it look like a, like a Polaroid type picture. And right below it, below it, it says, see pics of Lori. Click here and you can see a few more pictures of her. But the important thing for you to remember is that.
If you are going to apply for this, you need to send us a picture. It's extremely important. And when you go to the little link that says fill out your info here, it's going to tell you send a picture. You have to send a picture. If you don't send a picture, you're not in the running. Now, here's what we're going to do. Lori is going to have a chance to see all of the applicants. And she will pick someone. But that's not the person that she's going to go out with. She's going to go out with the person that I pick. That's right. Now, I'm telling you, you have to be honest when you're answering the questions that are asked. You got to be honest. See, because a lot of times what fellas do, I do, guys do this.
We want to sell ourselves the best, so we say the best possible answer. Well, instead of the best possible answer, just give the right, what the truth is. What's the truth? You know, how do you feel about this? How do you feel about that? Just let us know about you. I send my best shirtless picture to what? Well, you should probably. Do you know that guys took you seriously when you said that yesterday? I'm not kidding you. Eddie made a joke yesterday, and when he made it, I thought, Halfway in the back of my mind, I thought, I hope people know he's kidding. Nope. What happens? A bunch of dudes sent pictures with their shirts off, not realizing, like, dude, that's not smart. But don't guys always do that? Whenever we do a dating thing with a woman, we always get the picture from the guy who is shirtless. They don't realize. Women think that that's dorky. Big time. It doesn't matter how great you look. In fact, if your body is that great, it's going to look great in a t-shirt and women want to see you in a t-shirt. Yeah, you don't want to give away too much too quick. That is so funny. If you do that, you're kind of just putting it all out there too quick. You got to make them want it. Yes. Yeah, women think that it is cheeseball, tacky.
nerdy, whatever. So you want to meet a pretty girl. You're a guy, you're between 28 and 41 and you've been saying to yourself, man, I'm having a hard time meeting chicks. Especially hot chicks. Especially hot chicks that are single. In shape. In shape. Fit. Fit. Gorgeous. Go to MikeyShow.com. Click on the keyword Lori and send us your info. And upload a picture. Wear a shirt. No shirt. No shoes. No dice. That's right. No dice. What else is going on? Austin Rob's going to the Red Sox this weekend. Yes. In Anaheim. So excited. Very sad news. Sean found out that his 7-Eleven buddy is going to be moving to New Jersey in a couple of months. Most deaf? Well, he's not my best friend. One of them, though. You said that. Second. Banana check.
Banana Chex is first. But Sean doesn't like his replacement. This guy is a tool. Oh, no. Barely deaf. That's his name. Barely deaf. Oh, wow. Sean, Sean. Yes. Come on now. Don't check out on us early. Tell us about this man. I just said, the guy doesn't even talk. He just sits there and, you know, stares at you the whole time. He doesn't, like, give you a total. He doesn't say thank you. He doesn't say hello. He doesn't say anything. He's got this goofy beard and a stupid mustache, and he doesn't even wear a turban. I don't like the guy. Maybe you need to give him a little time to warm up to you. I like seeing that different color turban every day. Like, brightens my day. He wears a different color every day most definitely? Yeah. Most definitely he does. I thought it was. That's not his name. Moss Deep. No, it's not even that. Kmart? I don't know. No. Yeah, he wears a different color one every day. It's nice, you know? Oh, that is nice. Yeah. And usually bright colors. Death Jam. Death Jam. That's what it is. Anybody watch the game last night? Oh, I did. Which one? Football? Yeah. During this time of year, you can barely ask that question. Yeah. Come on, bro. With Boston Rob. Oh, it's all baseball. Monday Night Football.
Eddie, what's your take on Ray Lewis? I can't stand Ray Lewis. You don't like him? I can't take it. Is it the crazy shenanigans? He's too fired up. They have the cameras in the defensive huddle before the game. It gets all the defensive players around. For who? For the Baltimore Ravens, Ray Lewis. And he gives them this speech about how... You know, when they're going to get the ball, we're going to punch them in the face. Oh, no. And I'm like. Hey, guy. You know what? I understand that maybe for a really big game, but he's like that every game. Oh, man. And wouldn't that get old after like week eight? Well, you could become desensitized. You're like, okay, here comes the big Ray Lewis speech again. I got to listen to. Well, and what happens if you lose, then the speech loses its. You know what I mean? Yeah. Doesn't have it. And he's yelling at guys on the sidelines. You know, like, if you're not the appropriate fired-up-ness for Ray, like, he will yell at you. Oh, I hate that. And it's like, a lot of these guys are different. They're not all, like, as intense as Ray. Yeah, just let me go out there and play good. And, you know, every play, he's doing, like, the King Kong beating of the chest. And I'm like, dude. Enough already, right? Calm down, bro. Calm down. Enough. I can't stand it.
We get it. You're excited. Skye, what is the deal with this lady that they're saying stole the church bell? Well, you know, money's kind of tight right now and things have been disappearing around town, especially different kinds of metal and so forth. But this is kind of taking it to an all new low when a, let's see, Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in La Mesa discovered that their big bell out in front of their church was stolen. Here's the pastor talking about it. Come on, you. There was a bell that used to be hanging here, and it was gifted in honor of one of our beloved members in the congregation. What is she going to do with the bell? Well, they bring these things to recycling centers. So investigators told the church, call around to local recycling centers, seeing if anybody had turned a bell in. And? And yes. Yeah, check this out. No way. That's terrible. Two females came in in a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 332-pound bell in the back that they claimed they got out of the shed of their grandmother's house. Oh, wow. Yeah, so the chicks came in with the bell before the church called, but the recycling center thought it was kind of fishy because, first of all, you know, to find a 300-pound bell in your shed or whatever, okay. Do you think that these two chicks lifted this 300? I don't know.
But I guess all the engraving had been scraped off the bell. So that also made the people at the recycling center a little, huh? So they said, you know, leave it here. We got to write up an estimate for you. We'll call you and let you know. Well, while they were working on the estimate, the church called and said, hey, have you seen a bell? And they called the authorities. Oh, so they have all their info then. Oh, yeah. They called the authorities and did a little undercover sting where they basically called the lady and said, okay, we have your money for you. Come pick it up. And she came to pick it up and is now in custody. Wow. I wonder how much a 320-pound bell melted down would have been worth. Yeah, I was wondering that, too. Had they actually paid her. Right. But as she was getting cuffed, she was saying she didn't do it. I didn't do it. I don't know anything about it, and I didn't do it. Okay. Well, then let her go. Yeah. You don't know anything about it, but you had it. And you showed up. You had it. I came to pick up the money. How do you not know about it if you have it? Let's see. This is San Diegans sounding off about this economy stuff that we're going through right now. I'm not sure that there's going to be money for me when I'm ready to retire. I'm 56 years old, and I don't have that much longer.
I don't have a lot of confidence that we're going to have the money there. I'm not real confident right now, but there's nothing I can do about it. I've got to let the boys in Washington handle things and hope they can bail us out. I have no confidence in the economy, not right now, because it's all messed up. We don't know where we're going, what we're headed, what's going on. The job rate is zero, you know, and it's hard, and it's terrible. The job rate is zero. When they went through the Depression, and they told me what happened. I want proof of that statistic, by the way. I just don't know that the draw rate is zero. That would mean that none of us are working right now. No one is, Eddie. What are we doing here? Why didn't I sleep in? I'm just worried that we're close to it. Yeah, I'm confident in the longer term, but I think like everyone, I'd be careful about making big commitments in the really short term. I think in the short term, confidence is definitely hurt by what's been going on. But in the future, I have very optimistic thoughts about the future. I feel so insecure. I'm insecure about my daughter. I'm insecure about my future grandchildren. You know, it's so insecure. I felt bad about what's going on.
Hmm. So that's a bunch of San Diegans sounding off about what they think about the economy. Come back, Sky has new releases. Text us, 35253. Our phone number is 570-1053. New releases next. Sean. I don't like any of the major sports. Boston Rob. Bostonians are tight-knit people. And Ashley. Well, I'm actually like awake and like alert. The Mikey Show's on. Anyway. Rock 105.3. Back to you, Mike. Welcome back. It is 858.
The company that held Heath Ledger's life insurance policy wants to do an investigation before paying out $10 million to his daughter. The Padres have announced that manager Bud Black is going to return for the 09 season. There it is. Hey, Ash, were you able to order that new Nickelback song? Yep, I just IM'd you. Oh. It's front page in red. Okay. I want to hear. Oh, no. Maybe it'd be good. Well, I got to tell you. I got to tell you. Our program director refuses to play Nickelback. And the reason is because she thinks that the audience will think that it's lame. Twerks. And the reason that she says that is because she thinks that the lyrics are real nerdy and stuff. Like the music's good and everything. And, you know, Chad Kroger has a pretty cool voice. But Shauna's philosophy is, yeah, but you just, you know, I want a quesadilla.
Like, is this, you know, enough said. So they got a new single. Yeah, it's called Gotta Be Somebody. Now, the new album doesn't come out till mid-November, but this song was just dropped to radio stations yesterday afternoon. Got it. Eddie's already laughing. Eddie, he's fired. I know, but he's like, it's only been playing five seconds. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. He's already laughing. Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you very much. It's already catchy to me. Oh, yeah. They've got the catchiest riffs. They do. And I got to say, I think his voice sounds better than it even used to. It's getting better as he gets older. It's getting scratchier and better. What is he saying? What is he saying? I don't know. Which part? I don't know. The moment when we're meeting will play out like a scene straight off the silver screen. He's used that before, hasn't he? Ah, seems like it. I think he used that in the one where he was using the living room like a boxing ring. So I'll be holding my breath.
right up to the end until that moment when I find the one that I spend forever with. It's very grandiose. It reminds me of like the end American Idol song that you sing when you win. Yeah, yeah, yeah. A moment like this. In the middle of the song. Hello? Oh my gosh, you guys. Oh, Shauna. What is your guys' problem playing that right now? I mean, it's a new song. We want to hear it for the first time. No, but I've told you guys a million times, like, the lyrics are so gay. Well, I mean, you're not even giving it a chance. I gave it a chance. I gave it, like, five seconds, and it disgusted me. Oh, wow. It's disgusting. Yeah, it was almost like I had it on an Ashley Sunday box. Oh, that is disgusting. Don't shout at me. If you guys keep playing that song, I'm afraid I'm going to have to fire you. Stop playing it. I said stop playing it.
Mikey! Mikey! Mikey! Mikey! He's not listening to you, Shawna. Mikey, is Eddie there? Yeah, Eddie's right here. Eddie, are you there? Eddie! Eddie! Sky? Yeah. Why are you playing that? I'm not playing it. Mikey and Eddie are playing it. What is their problem? Well, it's really Eddie's idea. I don't know. I don't know. Eddie was like, oh, have you guys heard the new Nickelback? And I was like, oh, never heard of it, Eddie. It was your idea. What? It was your idea that we played this. Oh. Shawna, it was Skye's idea, and I'm not kidding. Yeah, and I'm not kidding. She even has the lyrics right in front of her right now. Who do you believe, Shawna? Who do you believe? I believe Ashley. Ashley, who's telling the truth? I don't know. Mike told me to load it. Stop playing it. It's catchy. Don't play Nickelback on the air. Quesadilla. That was a different song. It's when he talks about taquitos. If you guys don't stop playing it, I'm going to come down there.
And what? And open a can. Of what? I flip your face. Okay. I'm really nervous. I am coming down there. I'm not scared for some reason. They write really catchy pop songs. And the thing that is, you know, the real moneymaker about Nickelback is you can stick it on every single radio station in the world. Except this. Wow. Yeah. Not everyone. See, most rock stations in the country are going to play that. Really? Yeah, yeah, yeah. But Shauna has never done what other rock stations. In fact, and this is a solid truth. Other rock stations watch what Rock 105 does and then they implement it. My brother's radio station, the station my brother works for, listens to this station online and does like half of their contests. Oh, yeah. When I was the programming assistant up in San Jose for the rock station we worked at there, we would always be.
trying to get info from Shauna and Rock 105.3 to see what songs we should start playing. They steal her ideas, and they also take her playlist. Yes, very true. And whatever her playlist is, they play it. Shauna spits at convention. That's right. No, Shauna. That's crazy. But she saves a lot of the spit for Nickelback. Yeah. And Sundays. She has a second spit. Second spit. She has a second spit, and that's just set aside specifically for Nick and Blake. Sky has new releases that are out today, so what do you think about that? I like it, Mike. All right. Okay, today's a fun day. All right, new video games. We have Silent Hill Homecoming for PS3. Silent Hill. Homecoming. Mega Man 9, Xbox 360, Valhalla Nights 2. I went to high school there. You did? That's a great school. You did not go to high school. Valhalla Nights. We are the Valhalla Nights. I know it's a school, but you didn't go there. You went to high school in Gilroy. I thought that was a song by Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta. Oh, it was, actually.
I'm going to stop that. Thank you very much. Really good. Really good. Really good. Almost like I was watching the movie. It was really awesome. All right. And then finally for video games, we have Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility for the Wii. All right. New music. New music out today. We have T.I. with Paper Trail. T.I. stands for Treasure Island, right? You got it, dude. Mama said nothing. That's right. Alex Trebek loves T.I. On gin and juice. There you go, Alex. He's so hard. I'm also out today with, finally, with her debut album, Jennifer Hudson. Now, before we play this clip, what I hear is they literally spent billions of dollars on this album. What? Hiring the biggest producers like Money Can Buy. Why? Timbaland.
Because they knew that she was real, real talented. And that if they put her together with the best money can buy, like Timbaland and all those dudes, that they would make like the super record. And yeah, and I every review that I've read says it's great. Money, money, money. Not only did she not win American Idol, she was like sixth place or something. I don't remember why. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would like to be. Here's the thing. Here's the thing. You don't have to win American Idol to be a big star. Look at that Kelly Pickler. She didn't win. She came in like sixth place or something. Daughtry? Daughtry didn't win. He's the biggest selling artist there is. Wow. Man. Okay, we'll show it to you. Money, money, money. And she can't stop talking about that stuff. She loves it. Fine, we'll show it to you. We heard. We heard. Eddie, take your wallet out.
Eddie's taking his wallet. He's going to show her. He's getting hungry. Eddie, he's showing her a one. Nice. I don't think that's enough. I don't know that. Oh, wow. That's not going to satisfy anything. Come on. No way. Okay, Eddie's showing her his Vons card. I don't. Now you're upsetting her. It's all he can offer. It's all he can offer. Real funny bit. You guys are like, money, money, money. We can see Ball Hall of Nights again. No, no, no. That was way off. Thank you. We were in an acapella group back in the day. Right. Okay, well, speaking of, Kelly Pickler has her album out today, self-titled Kelly Pickler. Have not heard good things about this. Have not? Have not heard. Really? Yeah. It's her second album, and they said that she actually wrote a couple of these songs, and they're saying not so much on this one. I'll tell you this, though. They took a country girl, and they...
polished her up really nicely. Have you seen her? Have you seen the video for this song? Uh-uh. Stunningly beautiful. I saw her MySpace page, though, where I got the song from. I have no problem with the short hair on her. You do? I used to think she was really pretty. And then the short hair, she looks like a mom. Yeah, it kind of aged her a little bit. Mom shorts. Well, with their mom shorts, nobody wants them. How dare all of those? What? Eddie, why are you? Eddie's freaking out. You're a jerk. You are a jerk. We can't say it. One of us on the show wears a mom's shorts every once in a while. That's all. That's it. Listen. Right now? Right now? Right now? Right now, Zeth, let me see your mom's shorts. What is going on? I don't think Zeth wears mom's shorts. Skye, Skye, what's going on? Let's see what we have going on. We'll somehow refer to my shorts. Okay. Wait a minute.
Hang on. Those are gorgeous. The only thing is, I think the point that Eddie's trying to make is, is that she could definitely be dropping kids off for soccer. Oh, yeah. I love them. And I will have you know that I did not term that. Her husband did. I just agree with him. I'm sorry, I'm not wearing booty shorts. What did he say? Wouldn't it be appropriate for work? He calls his mom shorts. He calls them mom shorts to my face. To your face. That's brilliant. That is a brilliant line. Do you wear mom shorts? For the active woman on the go. That's right. For a woman who's got a lot going on and doesn't care. Who absolutely doesn't care about her appearance. Who's given up on life. But has a busy schedule. Who's given up on life and herself. I have not given up. She's not. I just don't like my booty hanging out. I'm sorry. Do you have a great booty but don't want to show it to anyone? Yes. Try mom shorts. I love mom shorts. I've got a really great booty. But, you know, the bottom line is it's mine. No one needs to see it. And that's why I wear mom shorts. Okay.
I don't think they're mom shorts. Leave me alone. Does your husband complain that your shorts are too sexy? No. Try mom shorts. No, he does not. Tired of your husband gazing at your behind? Want to dull it down a little? Try mom shorts. All right. Available in four sizes. Double X, 3X, and 4X. Even though you're a smaller medium. Okay. We're doing new releases. What else is out today? Also with the new album out today, Robin Thicke with Something Else. Oh. Oh. That's all we want to hear. Yeah, we don't want this. Let the romantic get. We're waiting for it. Where is it? I want your heart. I want to eat your children. Pavarotti is not supposed to sing country music. That's not what we want from him. No. Thank you. We want that sweet tenor. And all we want from Robin Thicke is that fake falsetto voice. Yeah, dude. Do it, Rob. You know it. What was that song? What was the song? Lost On My Game. Well, that was mine. Lost On My Game. What was his? Lost Without You. That's it. Lost Without You. Yours is better, Rob. That's true. I agree. No question about it. No doubt. All right. Also out today, Ben Folds with Way To Normal.
Oh my God. Is that a live album? Oh boy. Sounds like a live album. That sounds like a high school musical. It really does. No offense to Ben Folds fans. That sounds like it was downloaded off YouTube. No offense to Ben Folds. Nothing personal. Total observation. I was like, oh wow, that's cool. We just pulled this clip off YouTube. It's these guys singing. Yeah. Doing Jesus Christ Superstar. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So. Just the seniors. That's right. Juniors. Juniors. Oh, boy. We have the Robin Thicke song. You want to hear the Robin Thicke song? Oh, I didn't. It's B-Rob's, right? Yes. It's B-Rob's Robin Thicke song. This is a truthful set up. I'm sorry, Ash. Can you tell me where is it again? Front page below the Nickelback song. Got it. Got it. Here we go. Nope.
Lost all my game. You are the man. Me, me, me, me, me. Money, money, money. What do you got to do? He's warming up. Got my singing pants on. Good singing pants. This guy's sewing key. My nickname around the studio is Locksmith. Yeah. Mr. Craig Gass, how you do impersonations. That's sexy. This guy says no thank you. You can. Give it a chance. Come on. Relax in those mom shorts. Shut up. Turn this up in your mini bed. Are you always relaxing in mom shorts? Isn't that the point? Yeah. Well, that went well. Yeah. Oh, I almost lost it. You didn't. No, he did.
What? Oh, wow. Yeah. Wow. I still want to pass. Give it a chance. Yeah. We've been going out for a while. That's almost the good part. Good part. Let us know. Okay. There it was. Yeah, but it's gone now. I can't control my horny level. Oh, my God. Wow, eyes closed. Rob has on that. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. He's about to pass a kidney stone. Hang on. That's right. There it goes. That was weird. That's right. He's still singing. I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that.
It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. It is awesome. Keep going. No, thank you. Live, live, live, live, live, live, live, live. No, the band live. Lightning crashes. You rocked my life. Okay. Also with an album out today, we have James Taylor with covers. He's still alive, James Taylor? No. Welcome to the Saratoga Mountain Winery, everybody. I just want to let everyone know that today our Pinot Grigio is half off, so just enjoy James' music here today, and we're going to be making turkey sandwiches later, so everybody enjoy it. And then finally, I can't believe this is true, but Christmas albums are already starting to come out. That cannot be true. With a new album out today, we have Faith Hill with Joy to the World. Oh, that's going to be great.
But it's September. I'm so happy. It's September. I'm almost done with all my shopping, guys. That can't be true. You're a filthy human being. That's not right. I hate how he gets it done. We're all freaking out. I haven't even started. I haven't even thought about it. That is way too responsible. Yeah, I'm not having that. We have to take a break. Bye. We still got to do the DVDs. Today's a big day for that. What do you got? Iron Man. Yes, yes, yes. Hey, bro. Say it and spray it. Eddie, did you just give away something? Go, Iron Man. Shut up. We're going to come back, my kid. Don't give away the biggest one. You're being a jerk right now. You are so in for it when we get on into commercials. I'm a mean man.

Rock 105.3 Traffic. Bright sleep train mattress centers. Lots of freeways are up to speed. A couple of new accidents to be watching for, though. South 15, there's an accident still wrapping up involving several cars just before Arrow Drive here in Murphy Canyon, so be careful there. South 163, there's a fender bender still clearing just past University Avenue, and that is slowing a ride around that, getting into the park. And westbound 78 here in the North County, just before Emerald Drive, a new accident in the fast lane, as you've seen some slow traffic there as well. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rockwood 05.3. P1 Allen? Yes. You went into sleep train in San Marcos. I sure did, Mikey. Went in there, was going to get the Queen, told them I was the P1. They upgraded us to the California King and took $1,200 off the price. That's pretty amazing. Yeah, it was nice. And they gave us the pillows. mattress cover, sheets, everything for free, free delivery, all of that just because I said I was the P1. There's certain things in my life that I considered no-brainers. You know, at the time that I married my wife, I knew that one was a no-brainer. Nobody's going to put up with the stuff she puts up with and is still real cool about it like her. But there's also things like when I talk about AIS and when I talk about Sleep Train, these are no-brainers in life. If you're doing anything other than,
Sleep Train or AIS, it's not the best decision you could be making. Sleep Train is the best decision you could be making if you need a mattress. It's an awesome mattress, too. Travis Barker was released from the Georgia Burn Center yesterday and is now traveling home by bus after saying he will never fly again. Monday Night Football last night was crazy. Pittsburgh came from behind to beat Baltimore in overtime. Lost two key players for the year. Big Ben Roethlisberger says it was all about defense. I'm just glad we won. You know, our guys never backed down. We played terrible offensively in the first half, but they didn't back down. They fought through it, and we came out offensively and did well. Got to give a lot of kudos to our defense. There you go. It's a couple injuries there. Yeah, Richard Mendenhall out for the season with a fractured shoulder. That is a big loss, especially Willie Parker being down with a hurt knee right now. Wow. Let's see here. We got the rest of the new releases we got to get to. Yeah. Sky, what do we got? Okay. DVDs out today. Will you stop it? I wonder what DVDs will be out today. I can barely hold back. I suspend. I know. I want to know.
Well, Mike, if you must know, now that Eddie's ruined the surprise 800 times. I haven't said a word. What? What is she talking about? I'm sitting here in... Why don't you go back to having a soda chugging contest with your friend Rob here? Never mind that. Anyway. One point thing. Okay. Okay. Oh, wow. God bless you. God bless you over there, Rob. The king of chugging died Dr. Pepper. We get it. You're great. Yeah, I am. Oh, you guys want to know what my favorite song is by Sabbath? What is it? What is it? Sweet Leaf. What is it? Iron Man. Oh, last night, Gabe was like, dude, how do you get this shirt not wrinkled? And I'm like, just use the Iron Man. Smart. Hey, I got a friend. He's like a triathlete. Yeah. Another name for those guys. What's that? Iron Man. Oh, yeah. They do a competition. They do a competition. Oh, yeah. And you know what else? What's that? The Iron Man DVD is out today. You're it. You're it. You're it. What? You're it, Sean. Holy. That's hilarious, Sean. That is hilarious. That was my favorite movie last year. Wow.
What a surprise this is. I can't believe it. Iron Man is out on DVD today. We have the single disc. We have the collector's edition as well as Blu-ray. Yes, the collector's edition is out today. I watch my Blu-rays on my PS3. Me too. They look real good, right? Yeah. Also out on DVD today. They got DVD players, by the way, that show both Blu-ray and HD and regular. Really? Yeah. I didn't know that, and I just found that out. Also on DVD today, we have Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Oh, yeah. Which I am excited for. Which are you more excited?
Well, I'm definitely purchasing Iron Man. Iron Man is going to be something I'm going to purchase. I'm going to Netflix for getting Sarah Marshall. If I really like it, then I will buy it. It looks real good. Iron Man? Yeah. It is real good, Mike. Well, you better watch it, Mike. You guys said it was like your favorite this summer. You better watch it, Mike. Yeah. It was the best movie this year, Dark Knight 1A. When do you... For real? Yeah. When do you plan on watching it, Mike? 1A and 1B. 1A and 1B. Yeah. I'll borrow it from you, Sky. Like I did Lars and the Real Girl. You're not going to own Iron Man? You've got to own Iron Man. With the surround sound. Christmas is coming up, you guys. Good stocking stuff. Do extra chore and earn some money and go get it. That'd be a good stocking stuff. Come on. You're missing out, bro. I will pay for the tomatoes. Amazon Goose. Forget it. I'll just buy it for you. That's the only way. And he still probably won't watch it for months. I will watch it. You're right. It's a slap in my face. It is. He just slapped you in the face. You are awful, Mike.
Wow. Oh, no. Okay. Also on DVD, we have Bigger, Stronger, Faster, which is a documentary done by the producers of Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9-11, and it's all about steroid use in America. I want to see that. Yeah, Bigger, Stronger, Faster. Oh, sure. Interesting. TV stuff to DVD, My Name is Earl, season three. That was it. Yeah, those are the three movies. Yeah. My name is Earl, season three. Numbers, the fourth season, Beauty and the Beast. Numbers. Complete series. Numbers. And then they have some Olympic stuff on DVD. They have the 2008 Olympics, Beijing, the complete opening ceremonies. Mike, what did you miss? Oh, I want to see that. Wait, wait. So what part of the Olympics? It's just the opening? Just the opening ceremonies. It's on a DVD? Yep, $27. It'd be worth it. Wow. 27 bucks to see something I can YouTube? Yeah. I don't know, on Amazon. Forget it. Can you YouTube all 70 hours of it? I don't know. Christmas is coming. And then also on DVD, we have 2008 Olympics, Michael Phelps, the inside story of the Beijing game.
Scott, you missed a lot of good stuff. What did I miss? Great thing that was on Discovery when we left Earth. The NASA missions was awesome. Oh, dude. Yeah, I want to see that. It's on DVD today. Christmas is coming on. Hey, stop saying that. Get it. YouTube Live at Red Rock. Huge. Huge. All right, calm down. Dirty Harry, the deluxe edition, Sean. Oh, yes. What's it available on? That is regular. Let me see if it's on Blu-ray. No, just regular. Everything needs to be released on Blu-ray. And I mean every single thing. Yeah, why don't they? The Sixth Sense out on Blu-ray today. Oh, there you go, Rob. Not that scary. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre from 1974. John Carpenter's The Thing out on Blu-ray today. Oh! Well, I don't report on stuff coming out on Blu-ray. The Thing and Chainsaw are... I don't, unless you want me to talk about it. Well, it is a DVD. Well, I mean, like, every week they put out, like, 10, 15 old movies that they're now putting out on Blu-ray. Well, I'll go over it with you, and I'll tell you which ones are cool. Okay. I'm down with that. That's fine.
Eddie, are you looking at a Blu-ray list of stuff that's out today? 40-year-old virgin is out on Blu-ray today. Can't Hardly Wait, the 10th Anniversary Edition. Everybody remember that? Oh, yeah, dude. Jennifer Love Hewitt. That other guy that was... Yeah, that other guy. Seth Green, and then the guy that was the brother and friends. Yeah, that guy too. The brother and friends. What are we talking about? I don't know. Okay. Daredevil. The director's cut. Oh, your favorite. Knocked Up. Out on Blu-ray, right? Sixth Sense, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, John Carpenter's The Thing, a lot of good stuff. Texas Chainsaw seems like a dumb movie to put out on Blu-ray. Because it's supposed to look bad. Well, and they can't restore what, you know what I mean? No way. Like, it's as good as you're going to see it, you know what I mean? Did you say Adam 12, season two out on DVD today for Sean? I don't know. You don't remember Adam 12? Come on, man. I don't remember it. You don't? What year are we talking? Well, wait a minute, wait a minute. Yeah, it's mid-70s. Yeah, mid-70s. Oh, okay, I was born in 77. Okay, so everything after 77. Every obscure TV show prior. Obscure? It was a big hit. I've never, ever once heard of it. Sky, it was a primetime show.
Yeah, I was in utero, dude. Like, what? I'm tuning in. I'm tuning in. It's like 8 p.m. I'm like, oh. I was in utero, dude. Save I was in utero, dude. And Sean, as soon as you have it, just use it. Let's see. I got to think of the. I'll use it like it's going out of stone. Yeah. There's got to be great situations for that. I'll use it like. I would like to be Seacrest. Oh. Oh. Well, I don't know if we need to use it that much. How about that? How about that? How do we describe when you do that? Like, how do you describe that? What else? Is that it? That's it. That's it. Okay. Text messages. Mikey, I'm new to San Diego and your show. Wanted to know what the P1 means before people's names. Also, what's the deal with the ham jokes? Signed P1, newbie. Shut up, Sean. Well, P1 is just the way that we refer to our listeners. So if you ever hear that term, it means Mikey Show listeners. So we're talking about our guys, our gals. When a P1 calls in, they turn their radio on, get to the point, don't cuss. They listen for a long period of time. They turn people on to the Mikey Show.
That's the deal. Buy his presents. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Lots of presents. Christmas is coming on. And the ham jokes. Put simply, Sky likes ham. Hold on. Eddie, shut up. Well, I don't like when he just says likes ham because it's an insult to you. It is not. It's your life. No, it's not my life. It's who you are. Breathe, eat, sleep. Uh-uh. She loves CPR. She loves ham. Bring this ham back to life. 30 compressions. Two breaths. Yeah, Skye, she favors Costco ham, but says. She's loyal to one company, so. Honey baked. That one. She says honey baked, but that's not the truth. Honey baked. Oh.
Something big is happening. Something sexy is happening. Whoa. Ham-a-lam-a-ding-a. Wow. Shazam. Yeah. Shazam. Hey. Wow. What? Man, the Mikey show makes news really quickly. What did we do? Yeah. Shauna got a email from Nickelback's record label saying thank you for the spin this morning. No. Oh, that's brutal. Oh, Shauna must be so bad. Hey, let me tell you. Kroger is fully aware of the deal. Oh, yeah. Did you guys know that? Yeah. No. No? Chad Kroger is fully aware of the deal. Yeah. Really? He knows Shauna doesn't play them. Now. Didn't he call her? I don't know. I think he left it. Ask her. Ask Shauna. He personally left her a voicemail one time, I think. Is that the deal? I'm pretty sure. Well, I know this. We interviewed him one time in Vegas before I knew about the whole stuff. Yeah. Because we weren't here yet. Right.
And I think he asked us about it, and I was like, I didn't know what he was talking about. And I was like, dude, I don't know. Because he was like, how come your station don't play us? How did he say it? How come your station don't play us? Shauna. Yeah. Oh, she is so annoying. What, what, what? So now, their label. Oh, no. thinks that I'm interested in playing Nickelback. Well, you are. You love the new record Gotta Be Somebody. This is the second spin. You should tell them that you love this new song Gotta Be Somebody. I don't want to tell them that. But just listen to the vocals. I think it sounds good. He is my... He knows, right? He knows. But you know what? He has so much friggin' money, he doesn't care anymore. Show me this! Fine, Chad. I think you have enough. They just need to realize they're not a rock band. That they're a pop band? Yeah. It insults you, doesn't it?
What insults me is the rock radio stations that play them. Shauna, I can't believe those stations that play them. That annoys me. I don't blame you. Listen, I think she has a point. I think Nickel Band's a pretty good band, but they're probably more suited for stations that aren't also playing the new Metallica. Probably. I don't know. They've got a pretty hard rock and sound, I think. Shauna, what do you think? That they have a hard rockin' sound? You know, yeah. I think they have the opposite of a hard rockin' sound. Well, when I hear them, I hear, you know. I hear Culture Club when I hear them. They have what you call a soft rockin' sound. I don't know about that. They're not Kixi. They're not Kixi. Kixi does play a couple other songs. They do. Do they really? How You Remind Me. For real? And probably this new one, because this new one sounds special. That's very Kixi.
Well, they cross over a little bit, but that's no reason to penalize them. They are a rock band, after all. That's got a good point. Give me something to think about. Sean? He's trying to get you fired up, Sean. I will fight you. My 94.1 would play them. Yes, and that's exactly where they belong. What about Z93.3? Would they play them? Oh, yeah. They don't play them? That's my favorite statement. Well, Z90.3. They would not. Z93.3. What about Channel 90? What about Channel 90? What about KG-O-Go? Yeah. Yeah, KG-O-Go? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. KG-O-Go. Oh, yeah, they're good. No, I think Z93.3. I think they plan. I don't know who you're referring to. You're mixing up two stations. Yeah, that's not a real station, Mike. Channel 90.3. Z. Slow jamming. You're hip-hopping your way to 12 in a row. Hip-hopping your way? Channel 90.3. Again, you're mixing the stations up. Why is BC their voice? That is weird. He does a lot of side projects. Z, 93.3. Wow. Can I go now? Did you write the guy back? No, I will not be writing him back.
Man, news travels fast, man. It's so funny. I saw that and I was like, oh. How do you think he knew? They have a thing that whenever a station plays a song, first spin, they get an email shot to them saying so-and-so played the song. Dude, we should just play it for 20 minutes in a row. Yeah. This is the fourth time I'm playing it. Well, if you want to lose all your listeners, go ahead. Shut up. What do you say to the guy from the record company? Are you real nice to him, but just explain in, like, a real nice way, hey, listen. Everybody at that record label knows how I feel about that band. Everybody at other record labels know how I feel about that band. What if they sent you, like, a cookie bouquet? I'm sure they have, right? Oh, that sounds delicious. It would take a flat screen, too. Okay. Thank you, Shauna. You should take a test online. Take a little online test. Yeah, a little automated test online. That's not... It's our girl, Shauna. She's the best. She should be careful. She's something else, I'll tell you that. But anyway... Okay. Come on. What do you guys want to do? Should we be triv? Yeah. Should we peel in trivia? Yeah. Do you know who is...
Did I tell you Jake is Chewbacca for Halloween? I didn't tell you that? Dude, I thought you were the first person I told. Well, you said you were looking at costumes. You were looking at? Oh, dude. That is awesome. I'll take a picture for you today. I'll take a picture for you today. Oh, dude. I'll take a picture for you today. That is awesome. That is the only reason why I want to have kids. It's so cute, man. It's so cute. Yes. So you can dress them up like Star Wars characters? Yeah, yeah. Okay. Like my own personal action figure. Okay. It's rad. Yeah, it's great. Yeah, I was in utero, dude. I don't know how that ended. It didn't even play. It worked and everything. Let me hear it again. Yeah, I was in utero, dude. Wow, that's something else right there. That is something else. How about that? All I'm saying. Yeah, whatever. Let's play P1 Trivia. You know what I'm saying? Okay. Let go. Get into it. All right. Here's how we do it. It works just like the DCC, just like the Dump Chick Challenge. Basically, we have one, two, and three-point questions. Ones are easy questions. Threes are harder. And the first person that gets the five points wins. Pretty easy. And the winners, winner, gets to come in the studio. I know. See, when I say it like that, it kind of gives it away because sometimes I don't.
Hey, you got to come strong. You got to come strong. Like if a person is just like, if they don't know. Big time. I can't do it if they don't come strong. Big time. Big time. That's all I'm saying. P1 Mac. No, P1 J Mac. What's going on, Mikey? Not too much, dude. How are you doing? Not too bad, not too bad. J Mac, how old are you? I'm 23. How long have you been listening? About a year now. One year. Yeah. This may get tough for you if you get up into those two and three pointers. Hey, you know what? I rarely, rarely miss questions lately. Okay. These are all Mikey Show questions. Good luck. He's on a streak. I have faith. P1 Simone. Yes. How are you? Simone, how old are you? I'm 22. So you're around the same age, and how long have you been listening? About two years. Two years. You've got a year on your... You got a year on your competition, J-Mac. I like it. Oh, you better watch out. Oh, I like it. Smack talk. Last time, we started with the first person to call in. This time, we'll start with the second. That's you, Simone. Simone, one, two, or three-point question. I'll go with a two-point. Your two-point Mikey show. Trivia question is, who did Sky call to get that ridiculous sunburn remedy from? She called Kaiser. That is correct.
It's a strangely weird question. It's correct. That is correct. It wasn't my remedy. It was their remedy. It was their remedy. It was their idea. I need a remedy. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Didn't work. P1J Mac. As much as I hate to do it, Sky's root works, so I'm going to have to take it. Oh, boo. My root works. It does work. It works, though. I know. It's we. Your two-point question is. What is Eddie's nickname for his supposed renegade co-star Lorenzo Lamas? I don't like these questions the way they're worded. This one's accurate, though. Oh, really? Uh-oh. No, I don't know. J-Mac. Take a guess. Figure it out. Take a guess, brother. Deductive reasoning. What would you call him? All right. Eddie's nickname for Lorenzo Lamas is Lo. That's my boy Lo. That's right. Low. Calls him Low. Oh, you were on the set? He said he heard it. I don't know. Craft services that day? Craft services. Wonderful pasta salad. Wonderful pasta salad, by the way. Because Eddie describes all things he likes to eat as wonderful. He had fabulous dinner rolls.
Was anything fantastic? Yeah, I mean, they had roast beef that day. How was it? Oh, it was fantastic. Simone? Yes. All you need is a three to win, or you can take the easy route. I think I'll go with another two. Okay. Where did the P1 cruise go to last year? Oh. I know it was Mexico. Ew. I'll go with Carlos San Lucas. You are correct. She's doing great. She is. She's been listening a couple of years. She pulled that off pretty good. She only needs one more point to win. That means, J-Mac, you got some catching up to do. I know, I know. I got to go three if I'm going to get in the studio. I mean, she's got the one. Go for it. Yeah, I'm going to go three, Mikey. Your three-point question is, name the three events that B-Rob and Eddie participated in.
At the Eddie B. Rob Olympics. 100-yard dash, archery, and wrestling. That is correct. Wow. Very good. Oh, man. Caught up. He caught up that quick. I mean. Redeemed himself. Simone's got four. J-Mac's got three. We got a real game here. Simone, you can close it out with this one-pointer. Are you ready? Let's do it. Your one-point question is. That's too easy. No. I can't give her this one. Can't give her that one. Your one-point question is? Blondike. Shut up. What is Eddie's sports nickname? The Oracle. That is correct. She killed it. Very good. You're both coming in. You both get to come in. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You both did really, really good, and that's all we ask. And so, yeah, we'll let you both come in.
Sounds good, Mikey. We will see you on Friday. Please hang on the line, will you? Yeah, yeah. Don't go away. Keep you guys on hold for just a minute. Is Will Bud Black being back next year as the manager of the Padres? We have the answer. We have the answer. We'll tell you after this. This is The Mikey Show. You've given everyone a great laugh and a great way to start my day, so we thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. It's Halloween time. Honey, I think our house is haunted. Mommy. It's Halloween. No, actually, a week from today. Sean will be...
In the studio with us. There's our boy, Shani. My wife just sent me a doozy of an email. She wants to know which I would rather do. We have a choice with Jake. It's time for him to get his flu shot. Now, I can either choose to get the flu shot, which he hates and which makes him cry and it hurts real bad and it's a needle. And as you know, the flu shot is an inactivated virus. You've heard that before, right? Where people go, yeah, it's a dead virus. You've heard that, right? Or they have something that's easier on kids now. It's the nasal spray flu vaccine. And it's sprayed in the nose. And it's made with live weakened flu viruses.
That do not cause the flu, it says. Healthy people between 2 and 49 can use it. Yeah, and that's the one thing that's because I just Googled too to look because I never even thought about this question. And you can't start using the nasal spray vaccine until you're two years old, but you can get the shot starting at six months. So, and Jake just turned two. But he's a big kid. That is true. He's big. So it's, and you know, that. That's what they're really... That's true. You know what I mean? They're going like height and weight. Yeah, it's about his... And he's a... Well, then my point is shot. He's a big kid. He's a big kid. I mean... He's like a 17-year-old. I don't think he's that big. No, but he's probably like a three-year-old in terms of his height and weight. So I don't know. I wonder if there's any parents listening that have used that flu mist on their two-year-old. And did it give them the flu? Well, they do list side effects. Yeah, they got it here too. What does yours say? They say for the shot, their soreness and redness in the area, fever, aches and pains.
With the mist, they say runny nose, wheezing, headache, vomiting, muscle aches, and fever. See, they don't list that here. They say runny nose, cough, fever, headache, muscle aches, wheezing. They don't say anything about throwing up. Yeah, and they don't say anything about coughing here. I'm on the CDC website. I'm on. The Center for Disease Control website, government website. I'm on TMZ.com. Oh, my. I don't know about that. I'm on Perez Hilton. Oh, no. Don't go on that one. I think I wouldn't. I don't know. I don't know. I think I trust yours more. So it does say here, I'll send you my little link, that there's more side effects from the nasal one. We don't have any calls from parents that have used it. Parents. Parents. Well said. There's not one parent listening right now that has used the spray on their two-year-old? Come on. I need to have a parent that's listening that's done it. Just one parent. I think I'm going to go with a shot. Yeah, we all did when we were little, right? Well, first of all, if my issue is I don't want to have him get the shot because it's going to hurt and it's going to upset him, well, what do I think is going to happen when they spray something in his nose? Yeah, when some strange person sticks something up his nose. I just hate that every time he goes to that doctor, it has to be, oh, that's the place where I get hurt real bad. Yeah. That sucks. I wish they could come to your house like Surrey Cruise. Right?
You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. Hello? Hello? Hi. Hi, this is P1 Tom. Hi, Tom. I'm a parent. I work at, actually, Children's Hospital, so I get the shot. And my friends get the flu mess. I personally give the shot to my daughter because I don't want her to have the nasty flu symptom side effects. Yep. Well, I want to talk to parents that have done it. I want to talk to parents that have actually done the flu mist. That's what it's called, flu mist. Right, the flu mist. One thing I can tell you is that there's like a really nasty aftertaste, kind of post-nasal drip. Yeah. So either way, they're going to have some ill effects from the actual administration of the vaccine. Yeah, that's the case with the shots too. Yeah, just give your kid a little Tylenol and it should take the edge off. That's a good idea. Like about an hour before the shot. That was kind of like at peak. I'm all for that. Peak level. I like it. Thank you. You're welcome. P1 Giants fan. How you doing, Mikey? What's up? Actually, I gave my daughter, my two-and-a-half-year-old daughter had the flu mist. And her side effects weren't a whole lot different than what my five-year-old, who got the shot, had. What were her symptoms? What were her side effects?
She had a little bit of a fever, a little bit of a runny nose, you know, obviously because of the missed part. She didn't have any nausea or anything like that. She was just pretty much the same, you know, as most normal kids who get the shot, you know, just not feeling themselves and a little bit of a fever is the most that happened. Right. And then, like you said, the bad taste, she ate it. She complained about the taste for about two hours afterwards. Oh. Shot. Yep. Thank you. I think you just made my mind up. My wife wants my input on this one. Scooby has info on the shot and the spray. Hey, Scoob. Hey, what's going on? What's up? Yeah, well, you know, I got two kids of my own and we gave them both the shot because we looked at it this way. If we gave them the spray, you know, and they got sick right away. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? They're going to be sick for a little while. If you just give them the shot, they're not going to get sick, and the pain will subside in, you know, a few hours. You know? One of these days I'm going to say to Jake, you know what, dude, you're going to have to do this one day. It's the worst figuring that stuff out. Oh, yeah, making these kind of decisions. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I don't like it. You want to do right, you know? Yeah, and I got that sensitivity. Thank you, Scoob. I got that sensitivity to him being upset. Yeah. I'm just like, oh, why does he have to have a flu shot? Give him like a lollipop after. He'll be fine. That's a good idea, too. Because I remember, I mean, like looking back on when I get shots, like I remember I'd be scared for the shot. It wouldn't be as bad as I thought. And then I would always get like a cool lollipop or prize or something after. Yeah, I always got ice cream. It's a good idea. So it's like, you know. It's something to look forward to. Like, hey, I know it's bad, but. We'll give you something nice. But it'll be over in a second, and then you'll be eating ice cream. Mm-hmm. See, he's just getting to the point where he can really talk. Oh, I got to play you guys something. I got to play you guys something. Where is my phone? Oh, no. My phone's got a recorder on it. Yeah. And I taped him yesterday, and it's kind of funny. I don't even know what he's doing. He's into shapes and stuff right now. Oh, yeah. Shapes are cool. Let's see. Circle. Say squiggle. Say squiggle. Can you say squiggle? Squeak. Squiggle. In Spanish? No. What about in English? One. What comes next? No. By the way, I decided to do this because he was in, like, Mr. Talkative mood, right? So I whip out the recorder. No. You don't have to bust me. You don't tell me, Dad. Where's the circle? Nope, not that one. Try again. Let's see if we can find the circle.
Find a circle. Semi-circle. Where's that one? Where's the semi-circle? The square. How about the square? You find the square? He was asking you. Where's the square? Yeah. You know what he's saying? No. I have two berries. Is he saying that? Because he has two. Oh, he actually has two berries. He's counting everything. He wants to count everything. And he has two berries. I got it, bub. The first 94 times. I wonder how many berries he has. Last one? Last one. I think it's the last one. How many has left? It's the last one. Okay. Two berries? Do you have two berries? Last one. Okay, last one. I think I have, okay, one more. Last one. This is the last one. I got one of him singing in the car. Can you sing five? Can you sing two? Can you sing?
One. He's got you trained well. Yeah, he does. Oh, my gosh. Super cute. Oh, my gosh. You know, the thing is, is that I got to keep that recorder with me all the time because when he first woke up, he's saying all these different things and real fast and everything. And I'm like, hang on. Don't stop doing that. Hang on a second. And I run to get the thing. And then he recognizes that I'm taping him and he doesn't want any part of it. And so he doesn't want to talk. No. Well, you do the Spanish. He counts to Spanish. He counts in Spanish to 10. Unbelievable. Well, he counts in English to 40. Wow. Which was fun. We were sitting there going back and forth counting to 40. And then I said, do it in Spanish. And he goes, uno, dos, tres. And it's so cute. Oh, man. But he won't do it if I have a recorder. He is, like, so, like, personable. I got to mic him up. Jake, you can thank the Patriot Act for that. That's right.
I got breaking news. What do you got? It's official. What? The Raiders have finally fired Lane Kiffin. Really? Now, when you usually get let go, don't you usually get called into the boss's office? Don't tell me. It's going to be a bad day. Are you serious? They get told it's going to be a bad day for you. Yeah. Great. That's not how the Raiders work. Oh, no. They basically placed a phone call. to poor Lane and said, get out of here. Get out of here, you. That is how he was relieved of his duties. Classy organization. Dude, they have issues. They really do. You look at their team and there's a couple of coaching candidates on the team. I believe they could be
Decent head coach material. Their defensive coordinator, Rex Ryan, is one. Maybe James Lofton. He was thought of as a possible head coaching candidate. But no, it looks like all signs are pointing to their offensive line coach, Tom Cable, as their new possible head coach. Wow. Idiot. Tom Cable. I wonder what Raider fans think of that. Wow. I mean, just brutal. It's brutal. It's brutal. 570-1053. Let's see. 570-1053 is the number. Mikey, go with a nasal spray. They give it to us Marines. Haven't seen any of my friends get sick from it. Well, you guys are Marines. Bye-bye. Mikey, go for the shot. Toughen him up. P1, do it. Hey, I kind of agree. You know, that's part of the issue with me is that, you know, I got to let him fall down and do all that stuff. You know what I mean? And so. You get used to those and then you don't get afraid of them anymore. That's true. And the more I do, the more, you know what I mean? The more I've kind of experienced it with him, the less it freaks me out. But I just have to kind of go through it.
I was talking about him, but you too, Mike. No, no, no, no, no. I'm talking about the pain that it causes me. We'll get you an ice cream after. It'll be nice. It'll be nice. Yeah. Let's see. Yeah, 570-1053 is the phone number. Beginning and end of every show, we do open phones. So give us a call. Let's see. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah. I just heard the news about Lane Kiffin. I'm a Raider fan. Been a Raider fan since I was a child. My whole family's from Oakland. Met Daryl LaMonica when I was a child, and he was a quarterback. My parents are Raider boosters, and I'm sick to my stomach about Al Davis. I'm a big Charger fan, except when they're playing the Raiders. I've been living here for 20 years, taking abuse, but you know what? I respect it, and I get it, and I'm sick. to my stomach about what just happened. It's pretty tough, man. Let's try some Pepto. You guys have no idea. I listen to you all the time. Coats and suits. Coats as it suits, I've heard. Oh, and Al Davis is the biggest jackass you've ever met in your life. Oh, okay.
And I know I shouldn't say that. I can't say that. But he is horrible. Yeah, you said it already. It's already happened. You really can't. You have to get that DeLorean up to 88 miles an hour. It doesn't bother the undead anyway. Yeah, that's true. I'll tell you what. I have friends that are still season ticket holders. My brother-in-law is a season ticket holder. And they go to these events where Al Davis shows up at the end of the season. Big party. And, you know, he's... Me and guys are paying big digits to go to this party, and he's offensive to them, abusive, uses harsh language. But you shouldn't say that. Yeah, I wouldn't say that. You shouldn't say that. No, I wouldn't go there. No, I'm just saying. He's just saying. I can't imagine it's ten times worse. I'd hate to be in his inner circle. Yep, the inner circle. I called my dad on the third quarter of the Charger game when we were doing well, and I called him and I said, hey, I know you're watching the game. He goes, yeah, I go, they're about to go to the fourth quarter and lose. And he goes, I know. I just wanted to call you while we're all still good. And the bottom line is the Raiders couldn't finish a football game unless the NFL decides to go to three periods like hockey. Thank you for the call. You know what? That's the best Raider fan I've heard in a long time. That is true. So I give that guy credit. P1 Scooby is back on the line and wants to comment. I think Al Davis is probably interviewing him for the job right now. P1 Detroit, what's up?
What's up, Mikey? What's going on? Not much, man. I just got back from the Bahamas and I looked all over for that hot sauce, man. Oh, dude. I have talked to some people and they said that out there and they said that is the best hot sauce. And they said the only place you can find it is in St. Lucia. They sell it and make it there. But I sent you a text message a while ago about buying it online. It's only like five bucks a bottle. Yeah, I think that you can even get it on Amazon. So, yeah, I'll take a look. I mean, I'll be able to find it. I tried, man. I appreciate it, dude. Thank you. See ya. As if the Detroit Lions weren't a bad enough organization, I just read that they demoted Kevin Smith. They demoted. They thought that the problem was Kevin Smith. I think that's clear. Yeah, yeah. But he has that new movie coming out with Seth Rogen. Different one. I thought it was going to really revitalize his career. Different one. Would they promote Jason Mewes? They promoted Jason Mewes. I can see that. I can see that. Noise. Noise. We'll see what happens there. Let's see. Take a couple more calls. Mikey Show. Hello. Hey, Mikey. What's up? Hey, I wanted to ask you guys. You didn't talk about the Bud Black thing. Is he coming back next week, near, or what? Oh, yeah. Eddie? Eddie?
Talk to me, bro. I'm going to talk to you. Bud Black is coming back for the 09 season. There it is. Congratulations. And there it is. And boom goes the dynamite. Awesome. Thank you, bro. That's right. You just guaranteed yourself a World Series. Size up your rings now, fellas. That's right. 5701053 is the number. Call us at the beginning and end of every show. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, what's up, Mike? What's up? Hey, I just had a quick question for the Oracle. Hey, I just went to the Padre game Saturday. The only reason was my wife got free tickets, but it was the induction of Goose Gossage to the Hall of Fame. And it got me thinking what a cool interview that was you guys had with him, and I was thinking maybe that might be cool if you had him back on the show one time. Yeah, I mean, you know, Goose just happened to be in town that day, and we were lucky enough to get him. But, yeah, I think Goose is, you know, that was right before. He got named. Yeah. You know, which was, you know, we asked him, you know, how important it is to him. And he, you know, he said it was important to him. So I'm stoked for the guy, man. Oh, I was too. And I'm kind of from that time because I saw them when it was like John Kruk and all those guys. And I saw a lot of great games back then. But it was a great interview. Yeah, we probably have Goose back. Cool. Right on. All right, dude. Take care, bro. Thanks. All right. 570-1053 is the number.
Give us a call. We'll take a couple more. We've got to get out of here. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, how's it going, dude? Mike? Yeah, what's up? What up, dude? I just want to talk about anything. I love that you guys, like, I've been on P1 for a long time, man. I already know that Sarah's name is, like, Ashley's name for real. I'm like, I know all about you guys. And, dude, I love that you guys stay on the radio forever. Like, you guys have done that forever. Thank you. I just want to show you guys, like, just the love. My name is P1 Try One. Ask Ashley. She knows. But anyways, yeah, dude. You guys did a great show today. Do you write Ashley? Is that the deal? Do you write Ashley? No, no, no. She isn't, man. I get that. And I got a girl right now. But yeah, dude. Well, no, no, no, no, but you said ask Ashley, and I thought that meant you actually wanted us to ask Ashley if she knows who you are. No, no, I blog her sometimes. I mean, I comment her on stuff and stuff like that on my face or whatever. What's your name? P1 Try One. Try One? I'm that Asian. I'm that Asian who had that onesie on or something. You're the Asian that had the onesie on? Yeah, look at me. Or something. I guess. I don't know. Ashley, do you know what he's talking about?
Yes, I call her. No, you're not Ashley. You're not? When did that happen? Who am I, then? My name is Sarah. Don't call her Ashley. Sorry. Anyways, but yeah, dude, I love your guys' show. Like, the Oracle is just the truth with, like... Thank you. Thank you for calling. You want to come over later? Thank you for calling. That's your boy. I appreciate it, bro. Thank you. I think he wrote me... Hey, Ham. Ham. Oh, my God. Shut up. Yeah. Ham? Hey, does anybody else call Ham? I'm thinking Hall of Fame Class 09, guys. That's right. First ballot. Yeah. First ballot Hall of Famer. Yep. Wow. Yeah, I think he maybe mice-faced me. That is the deal. I didn't understand what he was saying. I don't remember. I was like a hurricane. Hey, Scooby's back on the line. Hey! You're the last call, Scoob. I thought I was, I thought Seth hung up on me, but he told me to not. Anyway. I'm actually watching ESPN right now, and they're talking about it. Talking about what? Is that what you were calling to say? No, no. I was calling to say, I think, somebody should sniper Al Davis in between the eyes. Ouch. Okay. Okay, well. You cannot say that. You cannot say that. That was very... You can't kill a zombie. That's right. I'm not saying, you know, somebody should actually do it. Well, that's what you said, though.
I mean, your quote was, somebody should shoot down Davis between the eyes. But he didn't mean it that way. He meant it in the figurative way. You know, with all due respect. With all due respect. You didn't say that. You didn't say that. Thank you, Scoob. I got one more thing, one more thing. Okay. Go Dodgers. And the Hall of Fame class of 2047. Oh, come on. Ladies and gentlemen, the lovely and talented Missy is up next. Today on the Nooner. She's got the all-request lunch. She'd be awesome. We'll see you tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show's out late. Love you, man.
