Vista home invasiononline datingvenomous spiderssong lyricsRaiders coaching dramaHalloween decorations28 hour radio showSarah Palin interviewGuitar HeroTerminator television seriesradiomikeyshow
An armed fake officer invaded a Vista home, while Natalie asked the crew why her Craigslist match would chat but never meet and was told he was probably hiding something or uninterested. Mikey, Eddie, Sky, Sean and Boston Rob spent the show's biggest sports stretch unpacking Al Davis's public firing of Lane Kiffin, and Kiffin later called the spectacle painful and embarrassing. The cast also fought over whether elaborate Halloween decorations are tacky, whether Katie Couric ambushed Sarah Palin, and whether Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is enjoyably bad or simply terrible. Lighter bits included black-widow panic, a failed-lyrics contest, a fake running of the bulls and an escalating Guitar Hero grudge match for the 28-hour show.
What happened, in order
Fake Cop Home Invasion
The hosts recount how an armed man posing as a police officer forced his way into a Vista home, handcuffed and pepper-sprayed residents, then fled when he realized too many people were inside.
Natalie's Craigslist Mystery
Caller Natalie says a 23-year-old Craigslist match keeps responding online but avoids meeting, prompting the crew to argue that he is hiding something or simply is not interested.
Black Widows in the House
Boston Rob describes his brother keeping a captured black widow in a pickle jar near the computer, while Sky tells how she suited up and sprayed a giant egg-guarding widow with ant killer.
Lyrical Gangsta
Mikey quizzes callers on exact lyrics from Guns N' Roses, Twisted Sister, Leona Lewis, Mark Cohn and Poison, with nearly everyone missing seemingly obvious words.
Al Davis versus Lane Kiffin
The crew dissects Al Davis's extraordinary press conference, where he fired Raiders coach Lane Kiffin for cause, called him a liar and displayed a three-page accusatory letter on a giant screen.
The Halloween Decoration War
Mikey and Sky call month-early graveyards, coffins and sound effects tacky, while Eddie, callers and the rest of the crew defend October-long decorating as harmless fun for children.
Running with the Fake Bulls
Mikey reveals that the 28-hour show will stage his own parking-lot running of the bulls, with Boston Rob and Zeth wearing horns and chasing him through hay barricades.
Was Palin Ambushed?
Mikey argues that Katie Couric's question about Sarah Palin's reading habits was a trap designed to make Palin look ignorant, while Sky and Sean insist it was a basic test any vice-presidential nominee should answer.
Kiffin Answers Back
Lane Kiffin calls Davis's presentation painful and embarrassing, after which the hosts parody ever more absurd examples of supposed misconduct that might justify withholding his pay.
Guitar Hero Grudge Match
Eddie's surprise enthusiasm for Guitar Hero turns into a proposed live 28-hour-show showdown with Boston Rob, who repeatedly calls the game stupid before reluctantly accepting.
Terminator Television Fight
Mikey calls Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles the worst show on television, while Sky admits its badness but still insists she loves watching it every week.

to vote on the Wall Street bailout plan tonight, but with a few new changes to the bill. The Raiders' Al Davis fires Lane Kiffin, holds a crazy press conference where he calls Kiffin a liar while all the audio coming up. What? It was the craziest thing I've ever seen in my life. Did you watch it, A? I watched the whole thing. Really? Yeah, it was riveting. Wow. Because of the craziness behind it. Oh, man. That Al is something else, right? I mean, he was reading letters. Personal letters he sent to Lane. I mean, he did a whole PowerPoint presentation of how Lane Kiffin is a liar. What the heck? He had a giant screen behind him, and he would have whoever, his assistant, put up letters and personal documents. Come on. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen in sports. Yeah, that sounds historic. Yeah. I've never heard.
like inside information like this where Al was basically saying, you know, like this person told me this and this person said this. It was crazy. Wow. And it was like Al, like nobody said to Al, like, hey, dude, nobody does this kind of stuff. You know? Yeah. Honestly, that sounds like historic. It was. Like a historic sports moment. It really was. Mm-mm-mm. Wow. That is crazy. Our phone number is 570-1053. And our text number is 35253. And we would love to hear from you on the text message if you want. So please text message us if you're in on that. Let's see. I'm going to give you a question. And I'm going to have you call in. And if you can answer this question, what do we have, Eddie?
We can hook them up with some boo ball tickets. A boo ball. No boo. There was a home invasion robbery Monday night in San Diego County. If you could tell me what city in San Diego County that occurred, then we will give you tickets. 570-1053. First person that will call at 570-1053. And call about anything. Call about anything, but we'll give you something right off the bat with that. And it's a very, very sensational story. In fact, got some audio on it of the actual guy who this happened to. Again, this happened on Monday night. And this is the man whose house they broke into. He pretty much just pushed his way in with the gun drawn in his face. So we kind of just cooperated because we didn't want to get shot. Oh, my.
Mm-hmm. Dude. Very scary stuff. I know the answer. Yeah, the guy was posing as a police officer in uniform and the whole deal. Holy cow. Saying that he had a warrant for the house. That is scary, man. Oh, man. That is scary. P1 Mayonnaise. Yeah. Where did it happen? That happened up in Claremont. That is incorrect. No. Did not happen in Claremont. Good guess. I would say good guess. Can't hurt to guess. Yeah. Uh. 570-1053. I mean, yeah, I mean, most of you probably haven't heard. It's probably a good idea for you to guess because you just go, okay, where could that have happened? P1 Caesar, where do you think it was? P1 Caesar. Incorrect. I will tell you right now, it was not in Boston Rob's neighborhood. I know most of us were wondering, what was he up to? He tends to go outside his own neighborhood. That's right. P1 Ken, where was it? I would say Normal Heights. Incorrect. It was not in Normal Heights. All good guesses. All good guesses. P1 Katie. Hi. Hi. It happened in Vista. You are correct. There it is. Booyah. It happened in Vista. Yes, my hometown. Oh, man. So proud, huh? Yes. Did that freak you out? No. No, you don't live there anymore?
Oh, yeah, I do. It doesn't freak you out even though you live there? No, because that's just how Vista is. Oh, wow. Yeah, it's true. Vista's got the crime in Vista. Sky, have they caught this dude or no? No. No, the guy took off. So he's pounding on the door claiming he has a search warrant. He's an officer. You know, open up. And so they open up and the dude busts in by himself, but he has a gun drawn. So like you heard in the clip, everybody, no one's going to fight a guy with the gun drawn, you know. And so he like handcuffs somebody and starts going through the house. And then there's other people in the house. And I guess he wasn't aware that there were other people in there. So pepper sprays one. dude and then according to the cops they believe he kind of finally realized hey there's too many people in this house for me to like deal with and so he took off without like taking anything so he brought pepper spray with him yeah and had a gun drawn and so you know the police are assuming if the couple who lives at the home didn't have a bunch of friends over like who knows what could have happened right yeah really scary that is scary man well and it makes you wonder too like what do you do like
You know, Katie, what would you do now, living in Vista, if there was a knock on the door and there was a cop? Call 911. Man, I guess, I mean. Yeah, I don't think I'd open the door for even a cop. Oh, yeah, actually, yeah, I wouldn't even open the door. Probably not, right? I don't open the door now, so. Yeah. Probably not. Yeah. That's scary. Hey, thanks for the call, Katie. Hang on the line. You won. Hang on. Man, that is a trippy story. Nobody wants that. Coming to their house. Nope. What would you do, Eddie, if there was a knock and you saw... I mean, knowing the story now. Now, knowing the story, I wouldn't open the door. No way, right? I mean, that's just too much. Yeah, if somebody says they have a warrant for your house, like, yeah, whatever. Well, cops, like, police officers in regular...
Regular uniform. Uh-huh. Don't just show up your door and say, I have a search warrant. Yeah. Right. You know, that doesn't happen. And they don't show up solo either. Yeah, it's like a team usually. Yeah. That is so weird. I wonder why they're not releasing, you know, a description. Oh, they have. They do? Yeah, yeah. What do we got? A male, Asian or Hispanic descent in his 20s, 5'8", 190 pounds. Mmm. Good luck. I wonder if they've done like a police sketch and all that yet. Yeah, I haven't seen one, but, you know, I'm sure they will. Let's introduce everybody and then let's dive in. 5701053, text number 35253. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show and I am 38 years of age and I like electronics. I like them a lot. They are fun. I don't like reading directions necessarily because I don't really understand them. I think that writing directions for stuff is a job unto itself. I don't know who does that. I don't know who makes instruction manuals. I don't know who does that stuff. My father-in-law does it. For real? Yeah. He does it for like electronic components. No way. Yeah, he's really smart. Did he have to go through any sort of special training? How do you get picked for that job?
Well, he went to school for, he has like a background in engineering. And he started out early in the electronics industry. So I don't know that he necessarily went to school for that particular thing, but he had a degree at the time and he went to work for IBM. And so, you know, now he's got all these credentials to do it. As far as like specific courses, I'm sure they offer that stuff now. Back then it wasn't really a thing, but yeah, now it is. That is nuts. producer and our sports guy. And he is 35 years of age and lives in La Mesa where there was a couple of bank robberies at the same place, Skye? Or is that right? Or is that wrong? I know. It sounds like that should be wrong. But no, that is correct. At the same bank? The same bank was robbed twice in one day. You'd think the cops would be there for a while. Wow. What bank? The Wells Fargo in La Mesa. Okay. No way, dude. No. Oh, man. No way. Yeah. Eddie, where were you yesterday? It was Monday. It was Monday. Okay. Yeah, Rob twice on Monday.
Thank goodness. Yeah, you're safe. But, yeah, it's actually the two men they're looking for are men that have already been on the FBI, you know, watch list. You know how they give them all the names. Yeah. So the first one who came in about. Oh, boy, here comes the goofy names. Yeah. The first one who came in at about 3 p.m. on Monday with showing a pistol demanding money was the Chadid Popal. No, no. Mohammed Ibrahim Fuad El-Shawai. Anita Notay Rajase. Mohammed Salih Ahmed Murray. Ah, picture of him. So the one who came in first around 3 o'clock on Monday was the Chatty Bandit. Oh, really? Yeah. Hello. How are you? Yeah, hello, love. All in the bag, were you? That's right. How are we today? It's the chatty bandit. And then a few hours later, the hard hat bandit came in presenting a note demanding money. And singing YMCA. Yeah. So the FBI believes the chatty bandit has hit about nine banks since March, and the hard hat bandit has hit about three times this week. You know that chatty one's going to get caught eventually.
For sure. That's all he wants to do. So easy to spot. Hey, listen, I've got to go, but before I do, how about this weather we're having? Been a bit humid, hasn't it? Just keep him talking, I think, is probably the... He likes to chat. He likes to chat, you know what I mean? And with the other guy, just dance, you know? You know he's addicted to it. Have all the employees dress up like Indians. Cop. Suck him right in. The Indian. Cowboys. Yeah. Send Zeth down there with that new mustache. Oh, thank you. Oh, yeah. And we are set. He'll be arrested for that. Yes. That's right. Hey, P1 Natalie's got a doozy. Hey, Natalie. Natalie, let me, let me, I'm going to do this introduction real quick and then we're going to ask your question, okay? Okay. Sky's our news girl. She is 30 years of age. North County gal. And an alumni of Cal State San Marcos, ladies and gentlemen. And my birthday's this month. Oh, how about that? 22 days, Eddie. 22 days for today. Eddie has a confused look. Like, what are we doing? What are we doing? I don't blame you. It's ridiculous is what it is. So now we have to be alerted when it's exactly 30 days. Yeah, I'm just giving you updates. And now we're alerted when it's the month of her birthday. Well, what should we do with the update?
I don't know. What do you do with this? Just be excited. Just be excited? I mean, is that too much to ask? I think that that is by definition too much to ask. Oh, sure. Shawnee, oh boy. Shawnee is our sound effects man, and he is 38 years of age. Ashley is our assistant producer. She has blonde hair and bangs. Big time. That's right. Big time. And she loves to bake. Let's see. Then there is Boston Rob. He is into throat tattoos. He's got one. It says Boston. And he's going to see his beloved Red Sox play baseball on Friday night. Awesome! Just that made him superstitious and nervous. And then there's the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Junior, Esquire, MD, DDS, President and CEO, as seen on TV. So, P1 Natalie, how old are you? 20. Tell us your dilemma. I met a guy on Craigslist through the personals, and we've exchanged my spaces and everything.
And we've been texting together. It's just, how can I get him to open up and meet up? I guess we've talked about getting together before, but it just hasn't happened yet. How old is he? 23. And he is, like, you're having to kind of, you're going through a thing where you're like, come on, guy, let's get this thing going. So they haven't met at all? I'm pretty the aggressive one. I'm always the one to touch him first or message him first, and he'll respond back, and he's really friendly. It's just either our schedules clash, supposedly, or he's told me flat out that it takes him a while to warm up to people, and he won't know when to quite yet. Well, when it comes to this kind of thing, I'll tell you, we're doing this thing right now called Meet Lori. Have you heard about Meet Lori? No. We're doing a thing online where a friend of ours on the show, her name is Lori. She is 31 years old, single, really beautiful, and looking for a guy. Right. And she's one of my wife's best friends, and so I've known her for a really long time. And one of the things that I hear her say over and over again is how the guys that she dates, and I've heard this from other women too. Kimber said the same thing.
that they're just like, come on, come on. Really? Yeah. I always thought guys were supposed to be aggressive and stuff. They should be. I think that guys can be some guys. I mean, obviously, I'm not even going as far as to say I'm going to generalize. I'm going to say some guys. I think some guys are a little reluctant to put the pedal to the metal. I thought guys were like horny and they wanted to be with chicks. I think they are too. But I also think that they're immature. I also think they're immature. And I also think that they are, man, it seems like, okay, we're living in a day and age of non-connection. We're living in a day and age of internet connection. Right. You know, we're living in a day and age where there's not a lot of intimacy in terms of meeting and getting. So it's way safer to just. So you can like communicate in this little safety bubble. Yep. And not have to come out. I think you also were in a generation of like the slacker generation. Yep. Where, you know, I think most guys would rather at this time play video games. Yeah. Goof around on the internet. Yeah. Do stuff like that than have to go spend money on a date with a girl and get dressed up. Wow. Which is crazy, right? Yeah.
I wouldn't necessarily be asking for a date. I would ask you to stop in or hang out. That takes effort, though. Yeah, Eddie's point with that is that now we're living in the slacker generation where things like that take effort. I mean, look at Zeth. Zeth would probably rather just chill at home than have to be like, oh, I've got to put on a nice shirt, go out, meet up with this girl. I agree, but I agree with that. My only take on that is that I think that he's been trained into this sort of lack of getting together. He's been trained into this computer world. He grew up in this computer world where everything's on the computer and that kind of stuff. And Zeth just instant messaged me. Say what you just... Instant message me on the air. He can't even say it. I know. I don't know why he didn't just say stuff to me. Maybe the dude's got a girlfriend. See, that thought did occur to my head. But, I mean, there's nothing to support that. It's just something that popped into my head. And I thought, maybe dude is 42 and has a wife. Yeah, maybe. And is pretending to be 20-something. You know, Craigslist. I don't know. What are you going to do? Rob, what do you think?
That's originally what I thought too. If you haven't met him and if you got his MySpace and it seems legit like he has regular friends commenting him on it, is that the case? Yeah, it is. Then it might just be this dude don't, you know, ain't... He's not into you. He's just not that into you. Maybe he's just doing it for the, as corny and nerdy as it sounds, just the internet game, you know? I think the same... I was going to say, I think that he put himself out on Craigslist. So obviously he's interested in dating. I would think he would want to go through that effort. Or interested in meeting girls. If he found the right girl that he'd want to actually take out. But perhaps you guys exchanged MySpaces and perhaps he kind of realized maybe it wasn't necessarily what he thought. And maybe now he's just not that into it. Right. Why don't you ask him? Yeah. How come is it that I'm always the one messaging you first? Like, are you always like this to everyone? Or was just... being my safe friends enough for you. What did he say? And he was like, oh, I'm kind of a lone wolf and I take a while to warm up to people. And, you know, this week just isn't good for me. Something's up. It's probably been like three weeks. Something's up. Something's up. Eddie wouldn't say that. I wouldn't say that. Rob wouldn't say that. Seth wouldn't say that. Sean wouldn't say that. If I wanted to meet a girl, I'd find time. That's what I'm saying. Something's up. Yeah.
Ask him if he was in La Mesa on Monday. You know what I mean? Vista. Yeah, Vista Monday night. Yeah, I don't know, Natalie. That one makes me nervous. That one makes me nervous. Okay. Press him. Okay. Put the hard court press on and say, hey, listen, I think you're a really cool guy, but you know this whole MySpace internet stuff is kind of weird. I don't have any problems, you know, talking some more, but... I got to meet you. Otherwise, I think this is just kind of weird. Yeah, I don't waste my time. I mean, I don't ever do this. And I'm just like, you know, I need to meet someone new and random. And you seem really cool. And it's so laid back and still nothing. Yeah, just tell them that the Internet stuff is kind of new and strange for you. And so in order to kind of want to keep doing it, you want to meet him. Yeah. And. Call us back and tell us what the deal is. Because now we all want to know, what's the deal with the guy? All right, thanks. See you, Natalie. Natalie was also a character on the show Facts of Life. And really kind of damaged the name Natalie for a long time. You know what I mean? In some regards, yes. In some regards, yes. Well, not for all men. Okay, there's not a lot of Natalies out there that I know there are men.
And then the name Blair never really caught on, which is interesting. Kind of disappointing. Which is shocking. Yeah. You wouldn't think. Yeah. Tootie. Tootie never really caught on as a name. Why not? You would have thought with the popularity of Kim Field's character Tootie that you would have a lot of people wanting to emulate that sort of exuberance and joy. When you look at it. Bubbliness. Natalie actually is the most popular name out of the group. Yeah. That's a good point. It's the most normal, right? Tootie, Blair, Joe. Joe? Give me a break. Are we missing one of those girls? Mrs. Garrett as a name never caught on. Edna. Sure didn't. Who? Edna Garrett. Was her name Edna? Yes, it was. Eddie. Oh, man. You guys are awesome. You are good. Edna. That's not a popular name anymore. Imagine if you knew somebody having a kid and you said, do you know what it is? Yeah, it's a girl. What are you going to name it? Edna? Are you really? You're very brave. I bet it'll come back. Edgar. Not popular. You think Edna might come back because everything comes back. Oh, yeah. You know what I mean? It'll be like old-fashioned names. Sure. And they'll take a turn. Yeah. We got guys looking like the 80s again.
Everything comes back. That's true. So I ain't going to do it, but some stuff comes back. I didn't shave today. What? No. I woke up super tired. I hate that. Yeah. Like you do everything right. You go to bed on time. Everything's right. But still, you wake up exhausted. I mean, just tired. Like I really considered going, I think I'm just going to. set my alarm for one more hour. You don't want to play that game. It's like playing chicken. You know what I mean? So I didn't. I didn't. But man, was I sleepy. And then I realized at three o'clock in the morning, I was taking my medication and I realized I had one pill left of one of my medications. So I'm calling the automated pharmacy thing. naked Indian style in the bathroom at 3.30 this morning ordering new medication. Why are you Indian style? I didn't know where to sit. I'll tell you why. We have a rug. We have a big rug in the bathroom and I didn't want to sit on the cold tile because it would be too cold for my bum. And he just finished his morning cry.
And so I thought, yeah, you know, after the morning cry, I probably want to. Cleansing. Never seen a grown man naked. Oh, thanks. Oh, my gosh. So, yeah. So I ordered up my meds, got up from sitting Indian style. The used jumping jacks. Yeah. My jumping jacks. Leg bends. And then. They were flopping jacks. Then I did my. Then I did my after deep knee bend cry. And then I. Oh, wow. You got to get it all out. That's right. There's a few of them, you know. There's a few. Yeah. You got to get through. Nice. I'm really, really wanting to hear this Sal Davis stuff, man. You won't believe it. You won't believe it. From what I hear, it's really out there. Al Davis, the owner of the Oakland Raiders, fired his young head coach and did a PowerPoint presentation press conference. I don't know, man. Al Davis does? Al Davis. I guess we got an answer to that now. Our text number is 35253. Mikey, have you had a chance to see Alton Browns feasting on waves? Didn't set the TiVo for that. Eddie just gave me a shrug.
It's not that great. He goes around the Bahamas eating at people's houses. This guy says, it's funny because I haven't seen Alton drink so much liquor before. That's P1 Emanuel. Why does he drink a lot in it? I don't know. Yeah, I had an episode on in the background where they were doing something with some sort of Jamaican juice, and they were saying, oh, if you leave it too long, it'll ferment, or so, I don't know. It's called Jesus Juice. This one says, hey, does Zeth have a new name for his mustache? That's P1 Kiss Fight. Absolutely. Zeth, what are you calling that bad boy? I got an idea. Yeah, name it. Pistolas. That's my... I like it. I was thinking Burt. Burt? Yeah, Burt's not bad. Oscar. I just call it business time. There you go. He means business. This text says, Eddie, the playoffs are starting today. What are your picks? That's P1 1908. Oh, my. Uh-oh. Well, yeah, 1908. I really, you know, my heart is with the Cubs. Look at Rob. Oh, no. Rob is so upset. Wait until everything's over. November, tell us your picks. November. November. He's screaming. Breathe. Take a breath.
I won't make, like, professional picks, but I'll tell you why. Rob's been washing his hands four times. Oh, it is bad. I got to, like, touch stuff a certain number of times. Eddie, help your boy, dude. Dude. Yeah, I got problems, man. I got problems. I can't leave the house unless everything feels right. I mean, you won last year. Do you really care? Oh, man, I messed him up. Good deal. Well, Rob, isn't there such thing as good? Superstition? Can't things be said to help? Oh, sometimes, yeah. What can we say to help? Nothing. It just happens. He would just prefer that we stay quiet. Can't make good luck. Well, what things were said in 04? A lot of bad things. But they won the World Series. Yeah, but we defied all odds, Mike. You won it last year. Yeah, but we still defied all odds. He's so uncomfortable. I'm so uncomfortable. How about if I personally guarantee a win? Sean, you come here next week. I'm going to cry on your shoulder. Eddie, what do you think? And it's messy. I really want the Cubs to win. I mean, it's been 100 years. I think they're due. 100 years? Yeah. So I would really like to see the Cubs do it this year. It would be cool to see Cubs, Red Sox, Cubs, Angels, any of those variety of teams would be.
Fun to watch. But, you know, as long as the Cubs get there, it'd be pretty sweet. Got to pull for the Cubbies. Yeah. How many games do they play in the ALCS and NLCS? Is it seven games? Yeah. Seven games. Rob, do you have any predictions on the Red Sox Angels seven-game series? Right now, no, we play them in the DS, and it's a five. Oh. You do not play them. Oh, okay. I thought you started playing. What did I just say? The Angels? You said the CS, which is the championship series. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm sorry. Okay, sorry. We're playing them in the first round, which is the DS. How many games? Five? Yeah, five. It's five, yeah. And it's going to be tough, man. The Angels got 100. No, Sean, I'm not. My hands are sweating. I'm not doing good. They won 100 games. They're a great team. They got great pitching. And then on top of that, everyone's preparing for this series like it's a three-game series. So they're putting their fourth and fifth starter in the bullpen. So, I mean, it's going to be some serious baseball coming up these next couple of days. I'm real uncomfortable. What do you think is going to happen? I don't know, Mike. We don't know. We don't know. I mean, the...
Playoffs in 07 and 04 when the Red Sox played the Angels, we swept them both times. This is a different Angels team. They get Torrey Hunter, Mark Teixeira. Is that how you pronounce it? Yes. I thought it was Teixeira. The Angels have lost nine consecutive postseason games to the Red Sox. Yeah. Wow. That's a lot. They're unbeatable. All right, dude. What does that mean? It means zip it. It means zip it in Robbie. I'm getting backspad. Backspad. Oh, come on. You are a backspad. Oh, but the regular season series. I know, they lost. The Red Sox lost eight out of nine. We only have one win against them. I was there for some of them. But you better believe it. If something goes well tonight and someone happens to be in the bathroom at my house, they're staying in there. We made, yeah, last year, my brother. He locks people in the bathroom. Not lock them in there. Don't lock them.
They're just forced to stay. Remember that chick who was on the toilet and her skin started to grow around the seat because she was in there so long? What would you do for your Red Sox? I would do anything. I would not stay in the bathroom. I wouldn't either. You have to. No, you don't. This text at 35253 says, Sky, we share a birthday. That's Hamtastic. That's P1, the dude. What up, the dude? There it is. Nice. Skye wants everyone to know when her birthday is. Yep, yep. It's October 22nd. Today's the first day of October. It's really exciting. I'm turning 31 this year because I was born in 1977. I'm a Libra. It's really exciting. You can call us if you want. 570-1053. Our text number is 3525. Don't you bounce your head back and forth like that. I love her so much. It's a jam. Oh, man. That is crazy. Okay, here's what we're going to do. First of all, our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 570-1053. Did I mention that one week from today is the 28-hour show? Did I mention that? One week from today is the 28-hour show. I don't know why, but I saw Dr. Phil.

I am incapable of giving a yes or no answer. Sean. I do not like it when anything cold touches my teeth. Boston Rob. Absolutely no skill in the decorating department. The Mikey Show's on. What are you talking about? Rock 105.3. Yeah, welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. It is 642. A judge refused Sharon Stone full custody of her son. Court documents show that the judge was concerned that Sharon tried to get her 8-year-old son Botox. Oh, wow. The White Sox are going to the playoffs. Thank you, Jim Tomey.
No. 2-2. And in the air, deep to center field. Gomez going back, looking up. They beat the Twins in a one-game playoff 1-0 to earn the AL Central title and the playoff berth. Wow. There you go. Rob in his yesterday email said that they found another black widow in the house. No, why are you laughing at that? That's decorations, right? No. Isn't that what it was? No, I wish, man. In the house? Are they in the same place or are they in different places? My brother saw one running across the floor. Running across the floor? Sprinting. Sprinting. Full sprint. Even did the thing at the end going over the finish line. Little Nikes on. Yeah, yeah. Little Nikes. All out sprint, so he caught it in this pickle jar. Kept it alive. I don't know why. And I was like, dude, please kill that thing because, you know, who knows if you're going to knock it over and, like, it falls out and jumps on you. He kept it in a jar? Yeah, dude. Why didn't he dispose of it? I don't know. I don't know. In the kitchen? Right next to the computer. And I was on the computer, and that's when he decided to tell me because I almost knocked it over and broke the jar. So... Where did he find it again, though? This one was in the kitchen. And the other one was where? Behind the computer.
Oh, boy. Oh, my gosh, Rob. Spray Raid in there. We just went and got this perimeter spray where I guess you just line the doors. He's living in the woods? Yeah, no kidding. What's going on? Well, we got a sliding glass door from our kitchen to the outside. Yeah? And we just kind of keep it open. Oh, there you go. And boom goes the dynamite. Spiders like to come inside. I didn't know that. They catch bugs. Of course they do, especially if it's hot outside. I also keep my wood pile indoors. Yes. Did I tell you about that? Just stacks of wood piled up in the living room. Maybe we should take that outdoors. He caught the second one yesterday. And then I guess he thinks he caught a brown recluse, too. Oh, jeez. What is going on with you? He couldn't identify that one. And he's got them all in a jar. Take a disguise mom's house, man. She can figure it out. She goes on the computer and she finds pictures. Yeah, compares them to the dead bugs. Yeah, I killed a monster Black Widow on Friday night. You did? Yeah, I was so freaked out about it. Where was it? Well, see, the Boo is our Spider-Man. He's in charge of all things Spider-related. Yes, he's our Peter Parker.
But he was out of town. He came home yesterday. And so Friday I go upstairs and like we have a little balcony off the front that has these like wood slats. And I see in the middle of two of the slats like this big old web with this huge egg sack. And hanging right under the egg sack is this huge black widow. From inside looking out the window I can see the red hourglass because it's like that big. That big. And so I was like freaked out. So I like put on this getup. I love it. I just found all these long shirts and pants. I had to pull my hair back. If I would have had one, I would have preferred it. Did you take a picture? NASA. You got to take a picture when you do your get-up. Then what did you do? I went to the garage, got a bottle of ant spray. That is a woman, man. I didn't know what else to do because I wasn't going near that thing. Of course. And I had like one foot outside and one foot inside with like the bottle. It's stretched out. I've all stretched out and sprayed the crap out of that thing. And it's still hanging in there dead.
because I couldn't remove the dead carcass because it was too freaky. So it's just the hang in there. So one of the booze deals for today is to dispose of that. It's like Pet Sematary over there. It is, man. Gophers and spiders. I can't deal with those black widows. Oh, no. They're out of control. Why don't you put the black widow in the gopher holes and then kill two birds with one spider? There you go. Two gophers with one spider. That's an interesting thought. I'm done. That's an interesting thought. Think about it. And now is it uncomfortable in your house if you feel anything brush you? Oh, like I couldn't sleep that night. I hate that feeling. You think something's on you all the time? Yeah, like I truly convinced myself that this raid I sprayed or whatever it was was going to make the Black Widow stronger and come back with more vengeance. It was going to be like the toxic Black Widow. The vengeance. That's awesome. I wouldn't doubt it, you guys. That's right. Well, yeah, because you sprayed it with ant spray instead of black widow spray. Those things are creepy. I hate them. Let's see. And Zeth, he was out where Sean Phillips was doing an appearance, right? Yeah, yeah. What? Where was he? He was at the shoe store right next to the Radio Shack. I had to go into the Radio Shack to buy something. And right next door is the shoe place. And there's this huge mob of people outside. I had to fight through the crowd.
to get into the Radio Shack, and it took me a while to find parking, and down there it's normally not like that. So there were a lot of people. It was kind of cool to see them up close, though. Big guy. I went to the grocery store yesterday in San Alejo Hills. I was cruising through there, stop, go to the grocery store, and there's these kids. It's like, I don't know, 3 o'clock, 3.30. So there's actually a grocery store in there? They just built one. No way. Yeah, yeah. It's really nice. That's awesome. Brand new. That's its own little town over there. Its own country. It's brand new. Neat. Yeah. What is it? Like a Vaughn's or a Ralph's? Albertson's. An Albertson's? Yeah. And of course there's a Starbucks in there already. Of course. And so I'm sitting in my car hearing a hysterical story from a friend of mine that had taken something called colon cleanse. Oh. And I'd love to tell you the story, but the FCC is so immature. So dramatic. They're so dramatic. Like the FCC is a government drama mama. Great story. I can't tell you. But it was, anyway, it's real funny. I'm listening to that story. And as I am, there's these four or five kids, and I'd say they were probably 12, 13.
Probably four of them. They're on skateboards, skateboarding on the sidewalk that goes down to the asphalt of the parking lot. And they're at the corner of the grocery store building where it makes a turn and there's more parking lot over there. And they're trying to flip their boards. You ever notice kids can't do it, but they do it over and over again? That's how you learn. That's how you learn, Mike. An accomplished kid. I always see the kids that are in the practice stage. I've never actually seen a kid that's real good at the tricks. It's always the practicing, you know, where they do it, barely turn the board, and then fall off of it. Kick the board so it goes flying. That's what happened. That's what happened. And I was so upsetting. There's a woman.
with a stroller coming and this skateboard barely misses hitting her kid. And I'm thinking to myself, you rascals aren't supposed to be out there anyway doing that. And they don't care. Skateboarding's not a crime, man. It's a crime. But I read a sticker somewhere that says it's not a crime. Oh, I read the same sticker that said skateboarding is a crime. So I'm walking out of the grocery store and I'm hearing them cussing. Come on. I'm like, I'm old. I'm just an old dude now. I feel like such an adult. I didn't feel like there was no part of me left that was a kid. I was all growns up. You didn't want to go join them? No. Like, you know what my thought used to be in my 20s? If I wanted to, I could talk to those guys in my 20s. Like, not even a question. Like, of course I can. Duh. Of course I could talk. Now in my 30s, I'm like. I would just be an old, farty face. For real. Get off my property. Get out of here. Get out of here. You stop that behavior. Plastic kids. Where are your parents? You know? Where are their parents? Seriously. Come on. All right. Look at us with our 80s music. This is real rock and roll, man. We're cool. Rock is good.

Lyrical Gangster is the game that we play where we are going to ask you a question about the lyrics.
of a song. And as long as you can answer that question, you win. Eddie, what is the prize? We got a family four-pack of tickets to the Miramar Air Show grandstands on Sunday, October 5th. Very nice. So call us right now, 570-1053, if you know the lyrics to songs. It's very easy. First up is P1 Adam. Adam, how are you? Doing good, Mike. Oh, good, man. And where are you from? Originally from Philadelphia. Oh, yeah? You out here in the military? Yeah, I am. I figured. As soon as I hear that, I know people are here from the military. How do you like San Diego? I love it. How old are you? I'm 24. What do you do in the military? I'm in the Navy. I'm a signal analyst. Oh, my. What is that? That's about all I can say about that. Oh, really? Well, look at you. I love it. That's a cool job, then. I love it. I'm going to give you three different categories. You tell me which one you want. You can pick from 80s hair bands, one-hit wonders, or today's favorites. 80s hair bands. You got it. Your 80s hair band question is, in the song Paradise City by Guns N' Roses, he says, rags to riches, or so they say, you got to keep pushing for the fortune and what?
I'm trying to play the song in my head. For the fortune and fame. The grass is green. And the girls are pretty. And the girls are pretty. I'm sorry about that, Adam. I'm sorry too, Mike. Try again next time, bro. P1AJ's on the line. Hello there. How you doing, brother? Not too bad. How you doing? Good. What do you do for a living? I'm actually driving to Indio right now. I do a finished carpentry. Indio. Yeah. Oh, dude. Why do they call it Finnish carpentry? Did it originate in Finland? No. Is it because it's the kind of carpentry that finishes the job? Yeah, we basically make stuff look pretty after the framers make everything strong. No idea. Really? I didn't have a clue. Wow. Finnish carpentry. Is there such a thing as middle carpentry? You're right in the middle of it. We need a carpenter. Does that exist or no?
No, I don't think so. It probably doesn't. Patent pending. Oh, hello. What do you want, man? One hit wonders, today's favorites, or 80s hair bands? Can I do 80s hair bands? Yes, you can. Your 80s hair band question is, in the song We're Not Gonna Take It by Twisted Sister, he says, we've got the right to choose, and there ain't no way we'll lose what? Right to choose, ain't no way we're gonna lose. Ain't no way we're going to lose it. The answer is It, which was also an Academy Award winning movie that Ashley saw once. Steven Spielberg's best work. I have not seen it. My brother saw it in sixth grade. Steven Spielberg's best work. It was rated R, so I wasn't able to go. That's right. It was his biggest cinematic achievement. It looked really scary, though. That's right. Sorry about that, bro. P1 Kelly is up next. Hello, Kelly.
Hi, how are you? Good. What do you do, Kelly? I'm in sales. You're in sales. What kind of stuff do you sell? I am a credit bureau reseller for the automotive industry. Hello. Hi. My, my, my. I'll take three. That's right. Do you enjoy your job? I love my job. What did you major in in college? Yeah, I didn't finish college. Oh, wow. Awesome. So thanks for bringing that up. That's a story of hope. That's right. I didn't even finish high school, lady. Oh, okay. Well, that does make me feel better. It should make you feel a little bit better. There's hope for you. Your categories are today's favorites, 80s hair bands, and one hit wonders. What do you want? I have to do today's favorite. You got it. Whoever answered the phone said they'd hate me forever if I chose a different one. Well, let's do it up. Let's do it up. All right. Your today's favorite question is in the song Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis. Oh, wow. So sweet. Yeah. It's so good. She says, my heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on what? Say again. Giving.
Very close. Very close. The vein I keep on closing. I think that may be more Eddie's tone than Ashley's, to be honest, to be completely honest with you. I disagree wholeheartedly. I wholeheartedly agree. I understand. I wholeheartedly agree with you. I understand. I wasn't even really singing there. I understand. I was. I was. Just having some fun. Sorry about that, Kelly. That's okay. Thank you, guys. We'll see you. P1 Carlos is on the line. How's it going, Mike? Carlos, how are you? I'm doing good. Hey, dude. How old are you? I'm 20. What do you do? I work for auto auction on Notionside. You work for what? An auto auction. Really? Do you know how to be an auctioneer? No, I don't. I drive cars. Do you know anybody that knows how to be an auctioneer? No, I don't. Even though I see them every week. You don't know those guys, though, right? No, I don't. Yeah.
We're actually looking for an auctioneer. I'll tell you why later on. We're looking for a real auctioneer, the kind that can do the, hey, 45, 45, 45. That's right. We're looking for one of those guys. And we're having a hard time finding one. We got them here. Do you really? Yeah. Do they do the real fast kind? Yeah, like, yeah. Because I've seen some auctions. I don't know about you guys, but I've seen some auctions where they go, let's start the bidding at $25. Yeah, those are only like the high-end auctions. Are they? An American auctioneer. Yeah, I want an American. Hey! I want one of those. And so, you know what we're going to do? I'm going to put you on hold after we're done playing the game, whether you win or lose. Don't forget. Yeah, I won't forget. Somebody remind me. Okay, I'm going to try. Hopefully you can help put us in the right direction. All right. No problem. That'd be cool. That'd be cool. You don't have to know them, but maybe you can put us in the right direction. All right. Here are your categories. You've got One Hit Wonders, Today's Favorites, and 80s hair bands. What do you want? One Hit Wonders. You got it. Oh, yeah. Your One Hit Wonders question is, in the song Walking in Memphis by Mark Kong, he says,
He touched down in the land of the Delta Blues in the middle of the what? In the middle of the pouring rain. Wow. That was like the record, you guys. I think he does say flappity-flush. I don't think he does. I heard it. It's a different version. Oh, yeah, it is. Carlos, hang on the line. We'll give you a prize anyway just for helping us out with this auctioneer thing, all right? All right. All right, hang on the line. Wait till you hear what we're going to auction. I can't wait. I can't wait. It's the stupidest. Q1 Fuzzy, are you there? Hello, Fuzzy. Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear. Fuzzy, are you there? I'm here. Can you hear me? Fuzzy Wuzzy barely cared. Um, what? Fuzzy, what do you do?
And why are you fuzzy? It's a long SDSU Havasu story. Oh. Havasu. That's far away. Lake Havasu. Somewhere in Arizona. I don't even know. That's right. I'm fast today, formerly, so. All right. P1 Fuzzy, how old are you? 31. And what do you do for a living? I work in the retirement services industry. Oh, man. Sweet. Wow. Well, okay. I don't know what that would involve, but it sounds kind of complicated. It's going to be a booming industry. That's right. The baby boomers. Yeah, eventually everybody's got to get there. Yep. Today's favorites are your categories. 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders. What would you like? 80s hair bands. Let's do it. Popular. In the song, I want action by Poison. He says, long legs and short skirts. These girls hit me where it what? Eddie is so irritated by the fact that you do not know that. I mean, take an educated guess. How much easier can we get? Hits me where it, take a guess. Not counts? Not counts. It isn't counts. It hits me where it hurts. This guy said it best. If you try to rhyme, you're going to have better chances if you try to rhyme.
But thank you. Thank you for trying, Fuzzy. I'm sorry. It's okay. It's all right. It's all right. Try again, all right? Take care, guys. All right, we'll see you. It's P1 Fuzzy. She could try again. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 570-1053. When we come back, we're going to break down the Al Davis press conference. I haven't heard it. I haven't heard it. All I know is that it's pretty crazy. That Al Davis, you know, he fired. It's very public. He fired his young head coach, Lane Kiffin, yesterday and had a press conference. And Eddie says he had a PowerPoint presentation. It was nuts. Don't forget, our gorgeous friend Lori is single. And if you go to MikeyShow.com, guys, if you're single and you're looking to meet the girl of your dreams, go to MikeyShow.com. Click on the keyword Lori.
and it'll take you there, and all you've got to do is send us a picture, tell us about yourself, and get in on this sucker. Take a break, come back and break down that press conference with Al Davis next. Mikey. Great show, everybody. Great show. I think we need to change the name of our band. What's wrong with Black Angus? It's a great name for a Scottish death metal bagpipe band. But Carl's Jr. is selling $6 burgers made with black Angus beef. Well, fine, what do you want to call the band? How about hairy naked legs and bagpipes? Well, it's not as good as black Angus, but it does have a ring to it. Met a guy there, didn't know him, stranger, standing there in the lobby. And I just started asking him questions. And it turns out he had been an Amco customer for years and years. Mikey, if you want to see accomplished kids skateboarding, you have to go to the skate parks. That's P1 Keith. I bet you're right, dude. I bet those kids hanging out at the skate parks know what they're up to. It's the kids at the grocery store. They are not yet accomplished. They're not ready for the skate park. Okay, so Lane Kiffin. Eddie, how old is Lane? I mean, he's a young guy. He's 33. He looks 17. 31 when he was first hired by the Raiders. So he got fired. Raider's not doing so hot. It's probably hard to do a good job when you can't run the organization yourself. You know, Al, as we all know, he wants a lot of input. Yeah, it's very apparent throughout the entire press conference that Al does not like anybody making decisions without him knowing everything that's going on. You know, he's got to be involved in every single aspect of every decision.
It is strange that he held a press conference, you know. It's just strange, you know. I mean, I don't know. I mean, that's not out of the ordinary. It happens, right? They introduced the new coach, stuff like that. But, I mean, to go into detail of, like, why Lane Kiffin is being fired. It's strange. And it wasn't just because of, you know, on-field performance. I haven't heard it, so we're going to hear it right now. Where did you see it, by the way, Eddie? They held it live on both NFL Network and ESPN News. I start by saying it's a regretful day, very much so. What was he wearing? That was a great question. He was wearing a very oddly shaped silver, like gray, turtleneck with a Raiders jacket over it. It's freezing in Oakland. That is so weird. I thought he'd be in a track suit. No. He was not wearing the usual Raider track suit. That's too cold, Mike. Too cold. Yeah. Got it. It was January of 07 when I was excited about the naming of a new head coach of the Raiders, a young guy who I thought was dynamic. Past tense. Mm-hmm. Yep. Oh, yeah. I thought could carry the flag, carry the torch of the Raiders.
Because I wanted to get young. I wanted to get young people into the organization. And we had our meeting here. I think it was in this room. And his family, I knew them. His family, I knew him for about 30 years. His father once applied for a job with us when we were in Los Angeles. That's Monty Kiffin. Lane's wife, and we were excited, and I was excited. I knew it was a bold attempt, calculated, but I had always had a great success, or at least I thought I did, with young people. By the way, for those of you that don't know, Lane Kiffin was hired to be the head coach of the Oakland Raiders from USC. He was not the head coach at USC. No. What was he, Eddie?
He was the quarterback's coach. So he wasn't even the offensive coordinator. No. He was the quarterback's coach, which a lot of people thought, man, that is an odd move. I mean, you know, the way Al is, Al always paints a picture in his own light, you know. What the real deal is, nobody wanted the job. He interviewed a ton of people. Nobody wanted that job. Everybody turned it down. Everybody turned it down. And so he eventually got to Lane Kiffin. Right. Now, was Al Davis the decision maker? That was after Sean said no, by the way, our sound effects guy. Yeah, he couldn't do it. Our sound effects Sean turned Al Davis down. Oh, he's busy. He's busy. And eventually he worked his way through everybody, and he got to Lane Kiffin. He got to Lane. So this was Al Davis' decision. Oh, yeah. So he has, like, no one to blame but himself. No. Okay. And even those that didn't stay with me long. I knew were qualified in quality, and sometimes things just don't work out. It was after a short period of time that I realized I didn't hire the person I thought I was hiring. You said after a short period of time? Okay. And there are reasons which I could go into, but I thought what I would do is bring you up to...
The period of time right now when this morning I called Lane and told him that he no longer is the head coach of the Oakland Raiders and dismissing him with cause and that I just just couldn't go on much longer with the what I would call propaganda, the lying that had been going on for weeks. Wait, wait, wait. How do we know about that? What are you talking about, Al? We don't know this. What was crazy is that he claims that Lane has been talking in the press. Lane has said nothing. He keeps saying, I'm the head coach. I don't know any of this. I'm still going to keep coaching. When he talks about the lying and the...
One of his specifics, and I don't know how far into it, but one of the specifics he does say is, I guess a reporter asked him after the Buffalo game, have you talked to L lately and what's going on there? And he says, Lane says, no, I haven't talked to L since before the Denver game, which was the first game of the year. And I was like, that's a complete lie. I have talked to him. In fact, I met him at the airport, and I have proof the strength. Strength and conditioning coach was there with me. And he'll tell you that I talked to him about it. And so Lane's a flat-out liar. And you're like, that's your big revelation? You're trying to connect that dot to the reason for saying it. Lane was probably trying to cover up. What is he supposed to say? Yeah, we've talked. And no, we haven't talked about my job. Well, if there was weird, I think that that what would make it a point to point out is if something significant happened in that meeting at the airport. Yeah. That maybe he confronted him about. Do we get to it? Is it in here? It's deep in there. I'm not sure if you know, you just keep playing it. It'll get there. OK. And a year and time. And by the way, that accent. Do we know what that Sean? You're good at that.
Well, it sounds like, you know, New York, New Jersey, something like that. He's from Mass. Is he really? Okay. So it's like a Massachusetts thing. I did not know that. Old Mass. Yes. And he had a few questions. He says, does that mean I don't get paid? I said, that's what I'm saying to you. Eddie. So in a normal circumstance when you are fired in the NFL, when you have a contract. Yeah. You know, it's due to performance. Yeah. You're not. You're not winning games. Right. And so you're fired. But we still have to pay you the length of your contract. Sure. In this circumstance, Al is claiming that there was so much lying and dishonor brought upon the franchise that he is firing him for what he's saying is cause. And by that, it means that I'm firing you not for your performance.
disrupting business here in the organization. And that is in the contract that says if you do anything to disgrace the organization, you'll be fired for cause and I won't have to pay you. So now he's putting together a case to prove that Lane Kiffin is being fired for cause, not for performance. I said I warned you and I will go over with you people exactly how I warned them. And he asked me Is anyone else going to get fired or dismissed? I said, not at this particular time. He wanted to know who the head coach would be, and I wouldn't tell him because I hadn't finalized. This was about 9.30 in the morning, finalized with the gentleman that I was going to offer the opportunity to be head coach, and I wouldn't tell him who the head coach was going to be. No sooner that I got off the phone with him. Within five minutes, Mortensen had the story exactly the way it went down. Mortensen. Chris Mortensen. From ESPN. He's their NFL insider. Okay. Honestly, a lot of this sounds like a guy thinking out loud. I mean, it honestly does. It honestly does. It could have been no one else other than John Herrera and Mike Taylor. Huh? What?
to have given that story to Mortensen. And Mortensen had a couple other things in the story that got me to the point where I am that I want to talk to you about. One of the things Mortensen had in the story is, however, a Raiders source said that Davis privately sent the letter to Kiffin after the season's opening game loss to the Broncos, attempting to document that your coach approved the offseason acquisitions of naturally all those great players that we signed or we think have a chance to be great. A source close to Kiffin. Eddie, you've got to help me put this together because I'm struggling to understand this right now. So apparently he's talking about how Chris Mortensen had specific details.
about this phone call between Lane Kiffin and Al Davis. What he's saying is that Chris Mortensen had the detail that Al Davis sent a letter to Lane Kiffin documenting that Lane Kiffin approved the off-season signings of certain free agents. So that he could say, and these guys turned out to be terrible, and it's your fault. It's not my fault, it's your fault. And he tries to kind of brush that over by saying, which... They're very talented players. Or maybe will be eventually. Or will be somewhere else, hopefully, since they were terrible here. So he's basically trying to put everything on Lane Kiffin. Which he contradicts himself. He wants to be involved in every decision. But then he says, Lane Kiffin made all the decisions. It doesn't make any sense. And the other strange thing about it is, let's say I'm Lane Kiffin. I say, yeah, I absolutely picked all those guys. I'm the head coach. I guess I didn't do a very good job. And I'd like to continue to try to work it out. But if you want to fire me, I mean, that's your I hope I rather you don't. But if you're going to fire me because you don't believe that I did a very good job, that's up to you. But what I did no longer cause. It's not like I went out and, you know.
It's not like I was on a press conference and I started cursing and, you know, like I did something that, you know, or I was caught doing heroin or you know what I mean? I'm a bad coach. I hate to admit it. I'm a bad coach. I thought I would do better at this job. Describe the claim as fiction. Now, this is the first time that they admit to you that there was a letter communication after the Denver game between the Raiders. For weeks, we've heard on television that there has been no commitment or no communication between Al Davis and Lane Kiffin except before the Denver game. Here we go. Is he saying, by the way, Eddie, is Al saying, I communicated after the Denver game with Lane about these offseason acquisitions, and he said,
They were, he confirms that they were his idea, that they were on his approval. Is he saying that? Can we get at least that much out of it? Yeah, I think so. Because what that does tell us, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is that after the Denver loss, dude writes Lane Kiffin to go, look at these, which is like, dude, he just lost. And you contradict yourself by saying these great players that, you know, we hope. He's a walking contradiction in this whole press conference. If you're making a case, Al, you're now telling us that your employee, Lane Kiffin, did a great job because you just said the players are great. Make up your mind. But you've also told us that after a loss, the first loss. Yeah. That's it. First game of the season. First game. Yeah, they lost the first game. You're writing him to say, hey.
I just want you to admit these guys were your idea. Like, hey, bro, give me a break, will you? What? Please. Totally untrue. What do Raider fans, have Raider fans heard this? 5701053? Don't be afraid. Yeah, dude. I just, honestly, I just want to know, and I'm not beating anybody up on this, honestly. I just want to, I'm hearing this for the first time. I genuinely want to know what they think of this. Genuinely want to know. Because it's crazy. Raider fans are. Because there may be Raider fans that are like, hey, look, love the guy no matter what. There may be Raider fans that are like, man, I wish there was a different boss in town. 5701053. Totally untrue. After the Buffalo game. Maybe this is being blown out of proportion. So what is he saying is untrue with the letter? No, no. Now he's talking about... where there were reports where they hadn't talked since the Denver game. And then now he's saying that's totally untrue after the Buffalo game. Someone said, have you talked to Al Davis yet? He said, I have not talked to Al Davis personally. Went all over the country, but yet the night of the Buffalo game at the airport, he did talk to me. And we talked on several subjects, which I can tell you about if you're interested in.
But why... I'm interested. Okay, but why is that a big deal, Al? Right. He said that you guys didn't... Because he's a liar. Because Elaine's a liar. That's what he's trying to prove. Now, is he lying about something that could potentially hurt the franchise? You be Al. Please. Oh, no. Al, is he lying about something... It just goes to show the character of this man saying that he didn't speak to me when I have proof that we did speak. Al. Could it be that perhaps he was trying to protect the integrity of the privacy of your conversation? How is that protecting anything? A simple question is asked, and the man feels like he needs to lie about it. I am here to speak the truth. With all due respect, Mr. Davis, perhaps what Lane... I wasn't going to do this, but I am going to. This is where it gets crazy. Give you the letter that was given to Lane on the Friday before we went to Kansas City. So this is game three, Kansas City. Yeah. It was after his false accusations on a Wednesday night about the defense belonging to Al Davis and Kiffin and attacking Rob Ryan. Who?
I don't know. I mean, he's all over the map. I don't know what he's talking about. Yeah, because it's not clear to me whether or not he's saying that the false accusations of Davis controlling the defense are... I've never heard Lane Kiffin, especially this year, publicly call out the defensive coordinator. I've never heard him say anything disparaging. Well, Al said that the accusation was that he is in charge of the defense. I've never heard him say that either. Dude, that would have been your lead story. Yeah, you would think. You would think. If Lane Kiffin had said, this defense belongs to Al Davis. I mean, are you kidding? Yeah. He'd have probably been fired if he had said that publicly. I would think so. Publicly, which was unfair, unheard of in professional football, that the head coach would attack one of his assistants. Game they won, by the way. They won that game. Against Kansas City. But I sent him a letter. I gave it to him, actually, on the Friday before we went to Kansas City. And Federal expressed that letter to him. I'm sure that was very motivational. Yeah. Going into Kansas City. Yeah. Yeah. For some reason, I envision Al Davis's notes to be on Garfield post-its. It could be. Yeah. It could be. We don't know. Yeah. A little picture of Garfield on there looking guilty. An empty pan of lasagna. Mm-hmm. That's how he writes his letters. That's right.
And I'd like to have John put up the first page of the letter. And if you'll bear with me, it's about three pages. Now it's going up on PowerPoint. So now there's this giant screen behind him. And he puts it up there for everyone to see. Oh, my God. Wow. Wow. What an interesting man. It's unreal. Never seen anything like this in my life. Over the past months, you have made a number of public statements. that were highly critical of and designed to embarrass and discredit the organization, its players and coaches. Okay, Al's reading a letter that he wrote to Lane. Yes. Now, he could say anything in there. He could be showing a letter that says, your wife punched me in the face. Oh, this isn't written like professionally. When you hear him read this, he uses language.

Former NFL draft bust Tony Mandrich says he used steroids at Michigan State. What a surprise. And faked a drug test before the 1988 Rose Bowl. Really? That's a pretty big admission. Yeah. I think it's going to be on Inside the NFL on Showtime this week. For sure. Check that out.
This text message at 35253 says, hey, Mikey, is Sky wearing the 1980 mom shorts again today? That is P1 Mad Hatter. Mom shorts. I asked around. But they had a tag on them that said mom shortopia. From the makers of mom jeans. That's right. No. From the makers of mom t-shirts. With the not-so-diving neckline. Yeah. Okay. Great for gardening or lounging. That's right. 570-1053. Give us a call if you are a Raider fan. We're playing the press conference with Al Davis. It is about to get real crazy. Oh, boy. P1 Rude Dog. Hey, what's up, Mikey? What's going on? Oh, not a whole lot. You know, I haven't heard that interview that Al Davis gave, but I've been a Raiders fan since. 1980, and the guy has not really done anything too great with the organization in about 20 or so years. You went to the Super Bowl in 03. Yeah, they did, but the whole thing about that game plan, that was a whole different system they had. It was actually a time where Al Davis let loose to the coaches, and they actually did something with the team.
Whereas usually he wants to have a say and be in there right in the middle of everything. Any coach that stands up to L, I'm talking John Gruden, Mike Shanahan, those kind of guys, they get blown out immediately. And so you can't, and those are great coaches. Look at what they've done. They've won Super Bowls. You know what I don't understand is why, and, you know, as a, how long, Rude Dog, how long have you been listening? To your show? I mean, no, no, no, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm very. Sleep deprived today. I've been a fan since 1980. You've been a fan since 1980. I have a question for a fan that's been a fan for 28 years or whatever it is. Why do you think that Al has not just taken the head coach reins himself? Good question. He used to be a head coach. He actually used to be a coach for the Chargers in 1960 or 1961, to be honest. I don't know why he doesn't do that. Other than he doesn't want to be solely responsible for when they fail. I don't know if he knew that, but he actually used to coach the Chargers. Eddie, what do you think? I think that Al likes being the puppet master. He likes pulling the strings. He likes being the boss. He likes controlling the team. But I think on a day-to-day basis, if he had to get in there and coach, I don't think he'd be able to do it. I mean, no way. P1, Eric.
Yeah, Mike, I just want to say, you know, it's bad that Kiffin got fired, but why come no one's asking the question, like, what's going to happen to Jamarcus Russell, the one that Al Davis picked as the number one pick, the $30 million guaranteed money they got? They keep bringing in these coaches, and this kid's not going to get any better. He showed great strides under Kiffin. And just because he didn't want to play the puppet master, Al Davis goes and fires him? It's ridiculous. I'm so, I'm like almost ready to call it. I don't even want to be a Raider fan. I'm sick and tired. Yeah, man. How long you been going through this? I mean, this has been something that the team has had to deal with for a long time. I don't blame you. It's such a trip because when you talk to Raider fans, they're so passionate about their football team. I honestly and genuinely, I feel for you, man, because you love your football team and you want so badly for it to be restored. Yeah, I've always thought there are real good Raider fans and there are real bad Raider fans. I mean, the real good Raider fans, they really support their team and they are through thick and thin and are not in it just because the colors are real cool. There are some really good Raider fans out there, but it's just brutal what they're going through right now. I even feel bad for them, and I hate the Raiders.
About the opening season, 2006 Monday Night Football, the Raiders got blown out by the Chargers, right? They got blown out. Right. And then this last game, they showed right through competitive. I mean, the fourth quarter, we blew it. But they showed, like, we're competitive this year. And then he goes and just takes it all away from us. And now we're stuck here again with an offensive line coach that we have never even heard of. I wonder if Al hears this kind of stuff. Sure. Or if he is in a bubble. And he doesn't. Dude, he is the most myopic person I've ever, ever seen in sports. Like, he believes the Raider way, and that's the only way. Which is basically his whole way, right? His whole way, yeah. And so I don't think he does hear it. Oh, the whole, uh, just win, baby. All we've been doing is losing, baby. That's all we've been doing. But what about the commitment to excellence? We're committed to losing if he keeps doing this. That's where it commits you. There it is. I'm very excited. Hey, Eric. We should have took a defensive lineman, but no, let's take McFadden. He's busted up already. Can you imagine this guy on draft day? You must be flipping out, dude. You must be flipping out on draft day. You know what, Mikey? I got to go. I don't want to swear. Yeah, I don't want you to either. That's good. Abort. Take it easy. Rock him. Poor guy. I left you alone during training camp. This is the letter. The letter, yeah.
That he wrote to Lane Kiffin. I left you alone during training camp. I left you alone during training camp. That's a strange way to phrase it. As opposed to other years where he really bothered the coaches. Where I would incessantly bother you. The implication when you were doing these things in the hopes that you would cease your immature and destructive campaign. No. I wanted to make this work. I really did. I thought we had a chance. We had some great new young players. We do have some great new young players. We've added some veteran players. However, you continue to make public statements that are critical of the organization's, its players as a whole, as well as individual players. Do you think, Eddie, that what he's referring to is after the game in a press conference, maybe Lane is saying, you know, our defensive guys didn't play well?
You know, we dropped a couple of opportunities on that drive. I honestly don't know what he's talking about. Because we haven't heard it. I don't know any comments that Lane has made other than the standard coach speak. Coach speak? Yeah. And we all know what that is. Yeah. Yeah, we had some opportunities. Such statements constitute conduct detrimental to the Raiders. And I still wish to stand silently by, no longer stand silently by, while you continue to hurt this organization. P1 Raider Nation is on the line and knows something. Raider Nation, you there? Yeah, how you doing, Mikey? Good, man. What do you know? Well, from what I know, first of all, I've been a Raider fan since about the mid-'80s or so. This basically started early January at the beginning of the year. Lane Kiffin wanted to get rid of Rob Ryan as defensive coordinator. Al Davis wanted no part of that. He wants to keep Rob Ryan as coordinator. He's been close friends with him for a long time. That really pissed off Lane Kiffin. He wanted to bring in some of his own people. He wanted to bring in his dad. He wanted to bring his dad in? His dad, Monty Kiffin, has been the defense coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for years. Exactly. And Al Davis basically was not trying to have it. He wasn't trying to hear it.
So it came to esteem after the first game, the Denver game, the 41-14 blowout. Al Davis, I mean, Lane Kiffin was quoted in many papers as saying, quote, the defense was under Al Davis and Rob Ryan control in this game. We never heard that. Could be very true. Maybe we'll Google it. And is that a bad thing to say? I think so. I think it, I don't know that it, I don't know. Maybe it does constitute firing. But if you're going to do it, do it. You're going to pull the trigger. That was before the year started, any of that stuff. But, I mean, is that a fact? It was after the week one game, after the blowout to Denver, that he said this, that the defense was under Rob Ryan and Al Davis' control. But if that's a fact, if he tried to change the control of the defense and they wouldn't let him and told him to butt out of it, then isn't that a fact? That's exactly. That's why he was trying to distance himself away from that, saying I had no control of the defense. I had no control of what was going on out there. I basically wanted to change things, but my boss is not letting me. Yeah. That's the way he was putting it. Detrimental to the team. That's detrimental to the team. It is? Yeah, I think so. Al Davis signed all these personnel. At the beginning of training camp, Lane Kiffin complained about his team not having the personnel of the NFL team.
He basically, in so many words, was saying it's like an amateur college team. It didn't have the personnel that he wanted. He didn't agree to any of those signings. He didn't want to bring in any of those players in the offseason. Al Davis sent him this letter to basically force him to say, yeah, that you did agree and you did sign off. Not that he made the decision, but that he's signing off on them. I appreciate the call, P1 Raider Nation, from ESPN.com. However, it was well documented that their relationship disintegrated when Kiffin attempted to fire defensive coordinator Rob Ryan after the 07 season. A source said Kiffin suggested to Davis that the owner had reneged on an agreement that the coach would have control over his own staff. Shortly thereafter, Davis sent a letter of resignation for Kiffin to sign. And Kiffin declined. So Eddie and I were having an interesting conversation off the air where we were saying, I wonder if Al says to prospective head coaches, just so you know, you're not going to have any control here. Or do the coaches say to him, hey, let's just get everything out there before we start dancing. I want to be able to hire my own staff. I want to be able to blah, blah, blah. According to what ESPN is saying there, they did have an agreement.
where Kiffin would be able to do that. And Kiffin said, okay, let's do it. This is what I want. And Al said, no way. Even though they'd agreed that that would be the deal, Al said, well, yeah, unless I don't want it. Right. You can make any decision you want to unless I don't. Unless I disagree. Unless I don't like it. Further, your contract is quite clear that you work subject to the direction and supervision of the general partner. and that the general partner has the exclusive right to do all things which is in the sole discretion are necessary to maintain and improve the club, the football organization, and their activities. Can you see the letter up there? Eddie says he's got a whole PowerPoint thing. It'd take us forever to get through the whole thing, so I can't do the whole thing, but I'm sure it's available, you know, anywhere you want to see it. Outrageous.
But it was just, I mean, what am I missing? Am I missing any of the real big points? You know, the big juicy stuff is coming up where, you know, he just goes off. I mean, he just goes off and just starts talking like, you know, flat out calls Chris Mortensen a liar. He calls Lane Kiffin a liar. He says, you know, he brings up specifics about it. Starts talking about how he really didn't like how Lane treated old Raiders. Old Raiders. Yeah, like Raiders that have been on the team for a while that he wanted to get rid of because they were older. And Al didn't like that. He wanted them to remain on the team. And he brought up specifically Zach Crockett, the fullback who had been on the team for like seven years. And Al loved him. And Lane didn't want him on the team. He's the head coach. And that really upset Al because he deserved to be on the team because he was a Raider and he was loyal. Crazy stuff, dude. Crazy stuff. 570-1053 is the phone number. Our text number is 35253. Our text number, 35253. This text says, I think the NFL should step in and remove Al Davis from the league. He's obviously senile. P1 Tin Man, I wonder if there's a case to be made by the NFL that Al Davis' PowerPoint presentation was detrimental to the league. Mikey, 28-year fan here.
I echo the last call 100%. Al Davis makes it so hard to love my team. Physically makes me feel bad. P1 Ralph. This question is for Eddie. Text message. Eddie, can the NFL do anything about this? Step in. Do something about the way that Al Davis handles the Raiders. That's P1 Russell. I really don't know. I would hope so. Because, I mean, it was like a circus yesterday. I wonder. I wonder if. Yeah, he's starting to turn red. He's got that weird smile on his face that you get when you're holding your breath. Is he five? Come on. If I said the Red Sox, would that help? No, that would not help. Worse? They won't make it. They will make it. What's the right thing to say, Rob? There is no right thing. Okay. I don't know what to do. You're being difficult, Rob. I really want to know what Eddie thinks about the World Series and who he thinks will be. Why the World Series? Why can't we just look at NLDS? It's a big game, man. It's a big game. It's a big bunch of games. But, yeah. That's true. Let's just, today, games, pick some winners from today. Fine. That's safe, right? Yeah, fine. You want me to pick winners for today? What do you think will happen today? Let's see who's playing today. What do we got? What's the schedule today, Rob? All day baseball is going on. This is awesome. All right. Let's go. I'll take the Phillies over the Brewers. I will take the Cubs over the Dodgers. And I'll take the Angels over the Red Sox. Ouch. Ouchie. Only come to the pitching matchup. I like John Lackey. John Lackey versus? John Lesta. John Lesta beat cancer, all right?
So take that there, Mike. You're already a winner. I don't know how to respond to that. There were oncologists counting him out too, Eddie. Well, there you go. There is a red tide in Imperial Beach. Safe for swimming, but don't eat the mussels, they say. Yes, Seth. Stop eating the mussels, Seth. Quit going down there. I know you live in IB, but quit going down there and gathering mussels. Yeah, stop it. They're so delicious. And steaming them with garlic and white wine. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. So, yeah, they say even though you see that red glow out there, it's still safe. to swim. That's bacteria, right? Yeah. That's what makes the red, I think, is bacteria. Yeah, it's like this algae. So gross. It can spread toxins that are absorbed by oysters, clams, and mussels, but obviously not human skin. Totally. They say the quarantine on mussels. Can we send Zeth out there to the red tide?
wearing one of those 1920s one-pieces with the little rubber cap. He's got the mustache for it. Yes, he does. Seriously. Yeah, so the ban on the muscles is through the end of the month, through the end of October. Like Buster Keaton's taking a dip. What else is happening? Speaking of the ocean and San Diego. We always know that Mission Beach is being shut down. Mission Bay is being shut down. And we always thought that it was, and I'll use the scientific term, caca. Yes. That is a fact. That's what we always thought it was. You know, they would close it down. They thought, well, it turns out that human waste is actually not what is being blamed for contaminating Mission Beach. Really? Not this time. Because they had just closed Mission Bay for like nine days because of stuff, junk in the water. Yeah. Yeah. So what is it? Turns out, not human waste, as they suspected. It's actually decaying sea sponges. So gross. So they're like decaying, and then they're rising to the surface, and they're all like squishy, jelly, grody.
And so an expert who was hired by the city to look into this, he said in his 20 years of working with the water in Southern California, he's never seen a phenomenon like this where the sea sponges are dying in such great numbers and washing up and then decaying. Global warming. Thank you. Thank you, Eddie. Could be the black and whites too, Eddie. You never know. Those things are probably out there killing everything. They do. They kill everything. They go in the bay. And they're targeting, there's like a serial killer black and white out there. A serial killer whale. A serial killer whale. And he's targeting sponges. Unlikely. Sure. You never know. That's the truth, man. Look it up. YouTube it. That's right. All you have to do is YouTube it. You always say that. Okay. I was driving through the neighborhood yesterday, and I just want to point out that yesterday was... September 30th. True. And I saw cotton webbing. Talk about it, Mike. And Vaughn's paper jack-o'-lanterns with the little gold ring that you put the little nail through hanging on a door. And I just want to know, what is too early?
Now is too early. I agree, Skye. It's still too early. It's October. I saw one yesterday too driving home like a couple blocks away from my house. What? It's October. Too early. This is the time you do the Halloween decorations. Too early. Way too early. Well, I have very strong opinions about Halloween decorations. I got stuff. My opinions really revolve around the extreme decorations. There are some people that like to go Halloween. But there are some people that want to be on ESPN2 doing the extreme Halloween decorations. And what I'm talking about with the extreme is I'm talking it involves a tape recorder. Those are scary ones. It involves a big tacky coffin with a big tacky paper Dracula inside of it. Why do you think tacky? Because it is. Yep. Well. Yeah, I think Skye said it best when she said because it is. You meant fun. And it's on the front lawn and you drive by it and you're like, oh no with that. Come on with that. It's not for you. It's for kids. Extravagant. It's for the kids. Who cares? But it's not Halloween yet, kids. Who cares? It's the time. It's a month.
You celebrate your birthday for a month. But I don't hang a banner from my front yard. You use the radio station to advertise. Hey, don't give her any ideas. I believe that you could do that day before. Day before? I'll give it a week. Seven days. Seven days before is when this is appropriate to start. You know why I said a day before? You know why I was so strict and I said the day before? You know why? Because I felt like I'd be attacked if I said what I really think is do it on the 31st, will you? How is it different from like Christmas where you put up all your decorations like December 1st? I think you can go overboard with that too. Oh, yeah. Oh, you are no fun. But you know that it's way more widely accepted for whole neighborhoods. Well, and with Christmas, people decorate the inside of their homes mainly. You have the handful of people who go, like, hardcore on the outside. Those are usually, like, the neighborhoods, aren't they, though, where you go driving through the neighborhood? Well, like the simple lights, but, like, I'm talking, like, you know how on Halloween people do, like, they turn their front yard into a graveyard? That's very minimal, too.
Dude. I've seen some of them that go all out. I've seen some people go out for the Christmas. I love it. It's artistic. It's fun. It's creative. It's your guys' opinion. You like Christmas more than Halloween. 570-1053. There's people that are opposite. I love Halloween, but in my old neighborhood, one of my neighbors used to build a haunted house in his front yard for all the kids. That's awesome. Okay. But it was Wicked Ghetto, and it would be out 24-7. So during the day, you saw, like, sheets hanging over the top. I used to have one of those. Wait a minute, wait a minute. My question is, Wicked Ghetto as opposed to all the really, like, sophisticated, high-class ones? Yeah. Yeah. Like, what are those? What are those? Well, and then at night, you got all the strobe lights. I mean, aren't they all ghetto? Hold on, hold on. But then at night, you got all the strobe lights going off, and I don't like this music, Sean. Don't do that. But then you have this music in the background, and screams. It's fun. It's the holiday. The tape of, like, screams. Are you scared? Not for the whole month. Are you scared? Yes, it does scare me, and I don't like it. It's the season, Rob. You have black widows in your house. No. That's not decorators, though. Those aren't decorators. No. Oh, jeez.
I'm telling you, man, I, in general, think it's too early. You know, because yesterday we're announcing a new release as Faith Hill's got a Christmas album coming out. Nice. You know what I mean? Never too soon for that. And so, but how, I mean, we know that if it has to do with business, they're going to do it right away. But what about us? When is it too soon? To put this stuff up. Because I know my HOA has a clause in there saying that you can only have holiday decorations up for an appropriate amount of time. And I do not believe it's appropriate. You guys are hating. I am hating. No fun. P1 Alfonso. Hey, Mikey. Dude, my wife decorated September 2nd. No. What? Until this day, I spent close to maybe $120 just on Halloween decorations from Party City. If you want to talk about... Wicked ghetto. She's the queen of wicked ghetto. Oh, man. So, wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait. Eight o'clock at night, I was setting up the strobe light and buying skulls that play the Halloween thing. Oh, dude. I do not want to be your neighbor. Every single time somebody walks close to my door because the sensor doesn't work. No. Oh, man. That's awesome.
And in about maybe a week and a half, I got to take it down and decorate for Christmas, bro. Wait a minute. A week and a half? Well, what about Halloween? Are you going to wait until Halloween? Well, I guess not. You got 30 days, bro. Yeah, I mean, she had you set this. Yeah, she had you set it up in September. Why September? Because obviously we don't believe in Thanksgiving. I guess so. Thanksgiving is after. Wait, is she sitting right there? Is she sitting there? Yes, she is. Let me talk to her. Hold on a second. Hello. Talk to me about the philosophy behind September for Halloween stuff. Well, it just seemed convenient. I was in the garage. My husband was lifting weights and the boxes were too high up. So I figured he's here. He may as well get him. And then he did. And then I walked around about twice. And then I said, you know what? I may as well put him up right now. And then I just went crazy and put him up. So when will you do your Christmas? My Christmas, my husband's over-exaggerating. I probably will do it maybe towards the end of Thanksgiving. Okay, yeah, that's not bad. And by the end of Thanksgiving, she means like 4 o'clock that afternoon. That's the end of Thanksgiving. I think it's pretty much the end of Thanksgiving now. Honey, get out there. Hey, thanks for the call. Eddie, what do you think? So when's it appropriate?
I guess, you know, for Halloween, I think today would be a great day to start putting them up. October 1st. I think the month of October is kind of Halloween. How about you? I agree with Eddie. I think with any holiday, even Easter, Christmas, like once the month kicks off that the holiday's in, you're free to put up decorations. It's fun. It's good times. Hey, listen, to each their own. If any of my neighbors are listening, you can have that. I mean, you can put up whatever you want. I'm just saying, we don't roll with the plastic coffin in the front yard. No, you don't. It's kind of goofy to me. I think it's kind of goofy. But Eddie's saying, Eddie's got a point. It's for the kids. For the kids. For the kids. If any of my neighbors are listening, a week prior is the only thing. You guys are so grouchy. Unless it's a holiday, you're really into it. I can hear it in my own voice. I can hear it in my own voice. I sound very like... I want to outlaw fun. I understand. I understand. It's just, I'm telling... See, I think that some Christmas decorations can look very... Ghetto. Well...
Some can. They can. But some can also look very, like, elegant. I think some Christmas decorations can look elegant. I haven't really seen an elegant, like, skeleton. They all look kind of tacky to me. I mean, Halloween's not really about elegance. Yeah, it isn't. That's why I'm like, shut that down already. When I do decorate in about three weeks, I'll take some pictures for you guys. The dollar store is my Halloween headquarters. That's a good place. So I'm going to go over there and I'll show you guys what I'd come up with. Hey, P1 Sean does have a point. Go ahead. Well, Mikey, I agree with you about 90% of the time with what you say, man. But when it comes to Halloween, I love Halloween. It's like the best holiday of the year. And I see people literally 4 o'clock in the afternoon on Thanksgiving decorating Christmas stuff. So I really don't see the difference. It's the same month for the same style holiday. I don't know why people that enjoy Halloween. Can't enjoy it for a month long because Christmas almost gets, you know, two and a half months. You make a point. Sky, what is the difference? Why is it okay to put up the Christmas decorations right after Thanksgiving? Well, first, I'm not into the whole Griswold over-the-top Christmas decorations. Yeah. Like, I'm not a fan of that. I don't care what time of the year it is. I don't care if it's Christmas Eve. But you got a holiday tree.
I have a holiday tree, but it's inside my house. It's not on my front lawn. What is appropriate? What is appropriate Christmas decorations, outdoor decorations? For me, strands of white lights, not multicolored lights, white lights around the house. Elegant. I think it is. I think it looks nice. A wreath on the door. Yeah. And then if you want to go to extremes, you can maybe get one of those like reindeer that light up and put it near your front door. Oh, that's too much. But that's going to extremes, Eddie. That's too much. And that's all I care for. I do not want anything else out of any of you. No. That's a lot. Can I put lights on my bushes outside? If they're white lights matching and if you don't overdo it. Just a little bit. Just a little bit. Just a sprinkle. Eddie? Yeah. If you could do whatever you want, money's not even an issue. What would you do Christmas-wise, decorations and Halloween? Well, my Christmas decorations are mostly inside Christmas decorations and just boxes and boxes of them. And this is the first year where I actually own a house where I'm going to be putting up lights and stuff.
I got to figure out how difficult everything is going to be before I start going crazy. But the wife is already saying she wants yard stuff. Like, you know how they sell those, like, the Peanuts gang lit up, you know, with, like, holding presents and, you know, the, like, little trains of, like, Mickey Mouse. And, you know, like, she wants those light up yard things. She wants them. Just got a text message from somebody that said. My neighbor put up his Christmas decorations and lights four years ago. They've never come down. It's still in my house from last year. No. Where? Where? Well, because I, because same thing, Sky, like with my HOA, like we're not allowed. Like I've got a little patio, but I'm not allowed to like put anything around it because it would make the other patios look different. Whatever, stupid. So I put, my grandma sends me this like real live like wreath. with like a lemon and an apple on it. It's really pretty. It's a tradition. Every year she sent it to me. A real apple and a real lemon? You should see them. No. So I hang it up in my, it's in my living room, like on the wall. I just hang it up like a picture. What do you think, Sean? It's still up there. It's been almost a year. Hey, Sean. Nats and flies go over it. Fruit flies have laid larva. Some of the like green fern stuff is like brown and the orange and the lemon are like wilted down.
It's still up there. This guy's got her mouth gaping open right now. Because hanging it up and taking it down is not something I like to do. Let me tell you, I've known Ashley for a number of years. I've never one time been to where she lives. Me neither. Me neither. No. You guys haven't either? I don't even know what area it's in. I have. Rob, you've been to her house, right? Yeah, I've been there too. Seth and Rob have been there. Yeah, it's like a dungeon. Is it really? It really is. Why do you say that? What do you mean? What does that mean? It's like a lower level. It's nice. Don't get me wrong. Yeah. But it's... The hallways. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The hallways are what? Like if you could... Okay, it's weird. How would you explain it? Because like you can go into her house and it's like an apartment complex where you got to walk down like these long corridors, you know? Oh, it's an inside apartment? Or you can get to it through her gate. Onto the little patio. So her door, her front door doesn't open up to the outside. It opens to like a hallway. Yeah, yeah. And that's the kind of like weird, like creepy East Coast style. Because when you walk into the complex, it's all outdoors. But then when you're walking down the corridors, it's inside. So, I mean, that part is very East Coast style, like kind of, you know. Right.
It used to be an apartment complex. It's a condo conversion, so they, like, redid everything, made everything bigger. It's a two-story. There's two parts, two-story. There's 40 units total, so not that many, but it's a gated community. Community laundry, you know, service, HOA. Right. But you buy the properties and it's like, you know, one bedroom or two bedroom. One of these days I want you to invite me over. I sent you pictures of the place, remember? But that was before you got, but wasn't that like when you were first? That was right when she got it. Yeah, so she wasn't really all moved in, were you? You hadn't put up the Christmas wreath yet. The Christmas wreath was not a part of it. Oh, there it is now. Hang on a second. I'll probably take it down when I get my new one. I'll swap it out. That's cute. That's kind of how I do that. This text says Mikey will totally change his mind about the decorations when Jake gets older. I don't know about that. No, he won't. I won't. This cannot be true.
It says Target already has Christmas decorations out. That can't be true. That is true. Yeah, it is. Come on, you guys. That's weird. That can't be true. Deborah bought an ornament yesterday. Oh, she's on top of that stuff. She's good. Let's see. Mikey, I think the I think the unspoken law is that if you decorate before October 1st for Halloween, you're actually a devil worshiper. That's P1 Charger fan. Mikey had a neighbor who took their decorations down. Oh, wait a minute. Mikey, I live across the street from a guy who has a whole light and music Christmas show from December 1st to January 2nd. It plays five shows a night, about 25 songs. Oh, you're so lucky. Wow. Yeah, he did. And, uh, yeah, he said... That is a dream. He said he was looking in the mirror last night, and he asked himself, how can I make my face say, I mean business? Listen, somewhat. So he has decided to give himself an epic mustache, and that sucker, I like it. I like it. Take it in, Mike. I love it, dude. It's very retro 70s, and I think that's big. 1870s? 105.3. Getting better all the time and turning on. It's hard to change. A network that's often unsuspecting.
What exactly was that that Rob was doing? I don't know. If I don't make eye contact, I'll stop. Oh, good. Well, it worked. It worked. Because he was like, when I started playing this song, he started to sort of have his own party. So he was like fist pumping in my face. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you were just looking straight ahead. Yeah, you just divert your eyes and don't look at him and he'll just go his own way. And stop. Make yourself look big, which isn't really that difficult. Ladies and gentlemen, you're listening to the number one rock song in the country. It's called You're Gonna Go Far Kid. It's the offspring. So let me get this straight. Yeah. Shawna won't play Nickelback. That's right. But she'll play the offspring. Absolutely. It is 839. The Senate plans to vote on the Wall Street bailout plan tonight, but with a few new changes to the bill. You'll love this. Ricky Williams says he was tempted to smoke pot.
During the bye week last week. Are you kidding? You shouldn't say that, Ricky. I just wanted to let everybody know that. You probably shouldn't say that. You didn't do it. I mean, that's nuts. Welcome back to the show. Our phone number is 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. That's the Eddie line. Oh, my gosh, Eddie. This is Shauna. What's up? What is your problem with your time? about the offspring. I didn't understand a word she just said. Oh, well, I just think their lyrics are kind of silly too, like Nickelback's.
Name one dumb lyric from the offspring of your last name. They have ever said that it's not cool. Pretty fly for a white... Besides that one. Every song that they put out. Well, besides all of them. Why don't you give me one example? Just forget it. I take it back. I take it back. You guys are off the 28-hour show. I'm not going to let you... You can't stop us. Okay, do the 57-hour show then. No, we don't want you. You're so brave. Do the 57-hour show. Why are you being like this? Don't challenge us. Shauna. I'm going to have me and Jay do it instead. Okay, that'd be awesome. Oh, I would listen to that. That's right. It's going to be called the 16-minute show. Oh, that's not very long. Thanks for calling. You called us. Oh, bye. That's weird. Shauna. That's our program director, Shauna. Mikey, aren't you guys technically... On break, the entire 28-hour show. You eat, watch movies, hang out. Tough. You've got to be kidding me. I don't care for you. I'm telling you, dude. I'm telling you. All you've got to do is try it one time. Yeah, right? Listen, the Mikey Show's biggest fans are P1s. And the biggest of the big, they do their own podcast. They're going to do a three-hour show.
That's cute. Not a 28-hour show, a three-hour show. Okay, that's what Gilligan's Cruise was, right? It may be long, but I'm telling you, it ain't no 28 hours. 28 hours is a hard thing to do to be able to come up with the material the whole time. And let me tell you, man, this year's 28-hour show is ginormous. It is so big, man. I love it. It's almost too big. Dude. It's uncomfortable. I know. It's funny. Bromo came up to me in the hall and was asking me all about it. And he's like, you know, you guys have a plan. Like, and I'm like, well, we come up, you know, with a lot of ideas. I'm like, we probably don't get to half. of them, even though we have 28 hours. It's true. You know, we get so sidetracked with other rams. Well, other stuff happens. Yeah. Crazy stuff happens. I would like to reveal some of the things that we're going to be doing on the 28-hour show. Oh, it's so revealing. And let people know what we're going to be up to on the 28-hour show. One of the things that will be happening right here at the radio station is I will finally be running with the bulls.
Are you excited? Oh, that is special. Is your passport all of today? I'm not going to be leaving the country. You're not going to Spain? No. In fact, I'm not leaving the parking lot. I will, however, be dressed as an Italian guy in those tight white outfits. Oh, no, the guys who run. The guys that run. I'm going to be running. I'm going to be running. And we couldn't afford bulls. Oh, really? So we're going to have Rob and Zeth be bulls. All right. You're dead. Are they going to dress up as bulls? Yes. We're going to get gored. I call Michael Jordan. No, not those guys. Scotty Kevin. We're going to put him in a cage. Well, you've got to keep me safe from them. Shut up. You're not going to film it? No way. We're going to set up hay barricades. Good. I'm going to finally run with the bulls. Wow. Holy crap. You have a lot of anxiety about it? Like, how are you feeling? I'm feeling like as long as there's not a lot of drunk people, I could probably do it.
Oh. That's what I'm afraid of. Oh, you're not going to get drunk on wine? No, I am not. Spanish wine. No sweet berry wine for me. Sangria? No sweet berry wine. Okay. Holy crap, that is awesome. Boston Rob and Zeth. Chasing me. With little horns. Oh, my God. Little hooves. A tail. Yeah. Angry wild bulls. Oh, that's unreal. Chasing me here at Clear Channel. You get a good head start, right? Mm-hmm. Okay. On the 28-hour show, this will take place. I will get a head start. Yeah, Rob is fast. Oh, man. I'll get a head start, but it'll be exhilarating. Oh, yeah, right. Well, the adrenaline should carry you to the finish line. Hopefully. That's true. You know, hopefully I have a good story at the end of it. I'm able to tell people that I've run with the bulls and I've survived it. Yep. And that I look danger in the face. Wow. And I said, to heck with you, danger. Let's see. Mikey. Since Sky's birthday is actually practically a holiday, I hung a ham by the chimney with care instead of a haunted house, and I built a replica bathhouse. That's P1 Bay String. That's so funny. Mikey, I think some people follow the Disneyland decorating calendar. Late September to early November is Halloween, and then it's Christmas until mid-January. It's P1 Diamond Grater. Let's see. Mikey, I have an eight-foot fake Christmas tree.
One year I left it up until Easter. Oh my gosh. No. Wow. You guys should ask people, when do you take that stuff down? Take it down on New Year's Day. New Year's Day is the day that you... It's supposed to, yeah. That's like take down decorations day. But the wreath like still went with my place. It looked nice. It looked nice. Because my living room colors are like chocolate brown and like a dark red and like an olive green and black, right? Please take a picture of it. So the wreath is like green with like... The kind of brown dead leaves now and the red apple and then like the yellow kind of goldish lemon. It like matches perfectly. Please take a picture of it. I will. I'll do that today. It had to, right? I'll put it on my blog tour. Well, because I know like if I have lemons in my little fruit. basket thing in my kitchen. After a couple weeks, you start to see the white mold grow on the outside. Ashley's made some delicious liquor with it. Some prison wine. I'll take a picture of it for tomorrow. Hall of Famer P1 Quimby is online. How are you? I'm doing fine.
What's up? Okay, so the whole Halloween conversation you're having, I just wanted to add in, it makes me so crazy when people call Halloween a holiday. And so the fact that people start decorating October 1st like it's Christmas, I think it's dumb. Well, it isn't a holiday. I mean, technically, she's right. It isn't a holiday. I don't get the day off work. Yeah, I mean, is there any other examples of that? Of a day where you don't get the day off. It's not a holiday, but we all sort of recognize it. Is there any other days like that? Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day. Patriot's Day. Patriot's Day. We get the day off in Mass. Well, that's a Boston thing. I don't know what that is. We're in San Diego. Boxing Day, Mike. I used to date Alanis Morissette. Thank you, P1 Quimby. Hey, no worries. Here it is. Hey, what up?
P1 Penguin, ladies and gentlemen. Hi, Penguin. Oh, I am such a decorator. Oh, boy. You got it. I'm such a decorator. And I, okay, I can go with maybe having a theme. Like, in Halloween, like, it'll be a theme. This year it's pumpkins. Okay. So there's pumpkins everywhere. So it does match. Real ones? Tacky. Real ones? Most of them are? Most of them are? Some of them are plastic. Mm-hmm. No, like, some of them, like, I've got pumpkin lights, and I've got, you know, a pumpkin wreath, and, you know, I'll be doing pumpkin. It's fun. Can I come over? Right? You probably give out the big candy bars. So cute. I do. Aww. You're the best. You're the best. You know what? It's not just for the kids. It's fun for me, and my neighbors like it. I agree. It's fun. It's something, you know, to look for. It breaks up the monotony of, like, every day, like, you come home, it's boring, whatever. It's your holiday, you know? You make it whatever you want it to be. Yes. But what if people want it to be tacky? I'm not cool with that. Well, Skye, again, which ones are not tacky? Well, what Penguin is describing is cute with pumpkins everywhere. I don't think pumpkins are tacky. No, not in a pumpkin patch. See?
What's tacky to Mike is not tacky to you. What's tacky to you is not tacky to me. So we should just cancel? No, let's just go crazy. Everybody go crazy. Betty, what are you going to do? What are your Halloween stuff? Well, here's the deal. As you know, my mother is very decorative. She loves to decorate. She has a different flag. puts out on her flagpole for every single month. And she is like the Griswolds at Christmas time. She's crazy. So that's where I came from. And so I married somebody very similar to my mother in that regard. And Debra loves decorations. And has those totes, those big plastic totes. And one will say Easter, one will say Halloween. 15 will say Christmas. And just this past weekend, pulled out the Halloween decorations. Now, what do we got? What are we rocking? We have several ceramic ghosts and pumpkins and bats. Now, is that indoors? Indoors. I don't think we have any outdoor decorations for Halloween. I'll have to go through it. But now that we have the house. You should dress Rob up like a zombie. Just wake him up.
Walk outside. Wake up, Rob. It's time to go to work. Here's my cigarettes. I am going to go big with the kids on the candy this year, though. I want to go to Costco and get the candy bar candy bars. Not full size. Candy bar candy bars. Just a candy bar. Okay, let me wait. So you're not giving out apples? Hang on. Like pennies? I thought you meant am I giving out those king size. No, no, no. Regular candy bars? Regular candy bars, yes. That's awesome. I'm coming over. I will be there. Awesome. Some people go the whole nine and they do like the king size, but I think that's too much. You mark that house and you make sure you go every year. What am I, Simon Cowell? I pimp my nieces out. You do? I make them.
If I bring them out trick-or-treating, I make them split it equally, their candy take with me. 10%? 50-50. 50%. What are you, a loan shark? What are you doing? That's always fair. Are they paying for protection? You're the mom. You are the mom. How do they feel about the 50%? Do they argue it or do they feel that it's fair? This will be the fourth year. I think they're aware. They know who they're dealing with. They know what's up. They know the score. That's awesome. 570-1053 is our phone number. And our text number is 35253. Lars Ulrich from the band Metallica. Tallica. No, it's Rick from Sales. Rick Johnson? Rick Johnson. When Blunder came in to work with us. Oh, no. We said our favorite record was the Slipknot record in terms of the sounds. So we worked with Greg Fiddleman, and he's the engineer. Fiddleman worked on it. Oh, good. Oh, well, if the Fiddles is involved. Fiddler. The constant. He's the nuts and bolts of the project. I mean, he's there every minute. That's right. That's really cool. Oh, I can't stand it. Oh, yeah. Rob immediately broke into choreography with Eddie. Oh, that's so good. Nick thought he'd never get over Tris. I'm taking a mental health day. Then he met Nora. Let's dance, douchebag! How's it going? Awesome. Awesome night. Critics are calling Nick and Nora's infinite playlist smart and hilarious. There's an altar boy with no pants off. It's kind of creepy. Four stars. What did you see in Tris? I could floss with that girl. Don't have to yell.
It's not a train station. We're in a tiny car. Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist. Rated PG-13. May be inappropriate for children under 13. In theaters Friday. Now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I'm a little old man. Nice to meet you. Eddie. I always am in the mood for waffles. Sky. I am a hypochondriac when it comes to my cats. Sean. I'm really into 70s B actors. Little Miss Boston Rob. I'm not a chick. Well. Yes, you are. And Ashley. It's really hard for me to watch. difficult movies. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Click Sheboygan was a name that they actually thought about. I like it. They ultimately decided on Click Click Boom because Click Click Sheboygan didn't have the same kind of, you know, like, emphasis for them. I disagree. They didn't think it flowed off the tongue. Click Click Sheboygan. Sheboygan. Hey, it's 9-0-1. A judge refused Sharon Stone full custody of her son. Court documents show that the judge was concerned that Sharon tried to get her 8-year-old son Botox. The Phillies Brad Lidge and the Indians Cliff Lee win the Comeback Player of the Year awards. That's right. I won it last year. You won the Comeback Player of the Year awards? For what? When I returned to my comeback. I returned to my comeback, remember? You returned to your comeback. That is correct.
Let's see. Mikey all excited about Boo Ball. It's right around the corner. Just wondering if Ashley's going to be giving away cameras this year. It's P1 Southern. I don't know if that is on her prize list. I do not know. Bobbing for cameras. That's right. Is she going to be doing a game of bobbing for cameras this year? It was a long time ago. You guys, ancient history, okay? Two words for you. I'm a grown-ass woman now. Thank you. Mikey, I hope this year you and Rebecca are planning to take Jake to that awesome pumpkin patch. That's P1 Instigator. Of course it is. Well, first of all, it's called the patch of terror. It was a baby. It should be. He's crying like a baby. He's always crying. If you're going to behave like a child.
then we can't stay here if you're going to behave like a child the whole time we're out here. He's going to love it this year. Yeah, Mike, are you excited? I don't think so. When are you going to go? I think maybe next year. Whoa, what do you mean? I think when he's three is a good... Stop saying that. You are so full of it. Tradition, bro. You are so full of it. If we're being really honest, I think four or five is the most appropriate age. You are terrible. 18, 19. I'm telling you, man, they don't get it. He does get it. They're little. They don't understand. They might as well be at Vaughn's. Yeah, you might as well just stop speaking to them and making eye contact because they really don't understand. But you understand, Skye. He doesn't. He might just lock them in a cage. He don't know a pumpkin from a Chrysler, and you know it. Oh, my gosh. At this age, they're too little. They don't understand. But they enjoy stuff. They have fun. Why teach them? They do? Yeah, they have fun with stuff, even though they may not understand it. Question, question. Why would we not take him to Vaughn's? Just as much fun. No, it is not. If then what we're talking about is fun for me and Rebecca. No, there's plenty of stimuli there for them. Oh, hello. Where are you going? I mean, can't you just go to like, you could walk down the aisles of Party City. Oh, man. You really could. There's stimulus. If he could play with everything, but he can't.
What's he going to play with? A four pound pumpkin? There's pumpkin and hay and scarecrows. Hey, Jake, five more minutes with that hay and we got to go. Just five more minutes. Finish your hay time. You're the worst. I'm not, man. I contend that those things are about mom and dad more than they are the kid. But I understand. If a mom and a dad, if that is like they're stoked with it. then that is okay. They're stoked on it. But, and even my wife is. I don't know why I'm talking about they. My wife gets stoked on it. She loves to take him and take the pictures and do all that. Okay, all right, fine. But I'll tell you when I'll really enjoy it is when he's getting it and when he's going, Father, wouldn't you mind taking me to the pumpkin patch this year? I think I'd rather enjoy seeing those large gourds. Okay, I don't. Michael, you're out of line. Mikey, I was just wondering if B-Rob was ready for the most bloodshed in Boston history. His Red Sox are about to suffer since the Boston, the biggest suffering since the Boston Day Massacre. That's been one angel fan. Well, there you go. Consider the source. Don't get mad, Rob. You're cool. Don't let him get to you. You're cool. Mikey, St. Patrick's Day should be a national holiday.
Six days and counting, by the way, to the 28-hour show. Have a rockin' day. P1 Shamrock. Mikey, I give out regular-sized candy bars to trick-or-treaters, but I give the non-costume trick-or-treaters the cheap candy from those 99-cent stores. That's fantastic. Oh, I like that. Absolutely. Why... Sorry to sound like a Scrooge again, but... Here we go. Here it comes. I'm with you on this one, Mike. Why are we giving candy to non-costume trick-or-treaters? Thank you. I have an answer. Go ahead, Eddie. I wish we lived in a world where I could tell that person, you didn't dress up, you don't get candy. But then in this world, when I do do that, then they key my car. Oh, man. That's where the trick comes in. I am now. Correct, Sean. I am now. officially a non-costume giver of candy. Eddie, you have just convinced me, no doubt about it. I didn't even think of that. Let me teach you something. What do you do? You reach in your bowl of candy, and you look like you have a handful of candy, and you go and you put it in their bag, but you never release the candy. You kind of move it around, and you pretend like you drop the candy in their bag. I like it. That's genius. Thus not giving any candy. They don't know. They don't know.
They're usually high. Yeah. Awesome. Let's see. Hey, Mikey, my daughter's Girl Scout troop does their pumpkin patch field trip each year at the end of September. So I am forced to have a pumpkin in front of my house now a whole month early. It frustrates me to no end because I have to throw it out before Halloween because it gets all rotten and nasty before the 31st. So I end up having to buy a new one and try to explain to my eight-year-old why I tossed out the special pumpkin she got from Girl Scouts. No idea why they do it so early. That's people in Corman. What about the pumpkin seeds? Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I caught pumpkins last weekend. Wait, what? Last weekend? You were just complaining about the decorations going up too early. What happened? Hey, Al Davis, make up your mind. If you happen to stumble across a pumpkin, you're going to make pumpkin seeds. You got to. You were just complaining about it. Yeah, but who was really listening, right? We're just having a fun argument. Guys. Just need your candy corn. Listen, that was more. Yeah, you've been eating candy corn for like three weeks. This guy's a clown. What are you talking about? He's a clown. Hold on. Hold on. I can't say anything wrong. Go ahead. Hold on. Go ahead. This guy, you got to back me up on this. It's for sustenance.
I need pumpkin seeds to live. But did you have to carve the pumpkin? I need pumpkin seeds to live. If I didn't carve Happy Halloween and a big scary tree into that pumpkin and then a Boston bee on the other side, how was I going to get to the seeds? Did you really carve pumpkins with your fiancé? What of it? You artsy, craftsy, queerzy. I'm so mad at you. You artsy, craftsy, gazy. I hate those people that ain't got decorations. Oh, honey, let's carve a pumpkin. Honey, come on. You promised. Yeah, but babe, it's September 1st. I don't care. I need seeds. I don't care what it is. Well, when else can I get pumpkins? I love those seeds. Oh, you cook them salt, pepper, garlic salt. Put them in the oven for like 15 minutes and then chow down. Get ready. Pepper? Oh, yeah, yeah. Sounds kind of gnarly. No, no. You have to. Pepper. Ate them all last night. Some thyme. A little cumin. What the heck? You guys never made pumpkin seeds? A little piece of paprika. Yeah. A little piece of any seed.
Dude. Wow. Clown. You guys carve jack-o'-lanterns? Do you guys do that? Yeah. I'm terrible at it. I hate that part. All I want to do is put kiss makeup on them. Really? That's all I want to carve. You know? I like that, actually. Sky, do you do it? We used to, but... I'm always afraid I'm going to punch myself with a nut, you know, cut myself. You got to get one of them pumpkin kits. Oh, yeah. They work real good. Very safe. But I always think that they're going to catch my house on fire, that someone's going to come and throw it through a window. Like, I have a lot of issues with putting a pumpkin outside. Okay, let's talk this through. Yeah? You feel. It's like leaving a sledgehammer on your front door. You are crazy. You got to screw loose, lady. Hang on. There's hooligans out there. Sky, you actually have a thought in your mind. If I leave this jack-o-lantern here, it's just an invitation to pick it up and throw it through the window. Thank you. And it's burning inside. They can't toss it over that moat. You know that. And it's burning inside, so it's like fire. It's like a Molotov jack-o-lantern. Thank you, Mike. You get what I'm saying. Yeah, put a little flashlight. Oh, that'd be using my brain, Seth. Get out of here. Oh, no!
They sell those little LED candles. They're like three bucks. It's a little battery-powered candle. Looks like a candle and everything. Yeah. That's what my fiance got. I like when the pumpkin burns. Yeah? I don't know why. Because it stinks. It's gross. Yeah, because it smells a little bit. Gross. Like pumpkin. I love it. I love rotten smell. I hate the smell of the inside of a pumpkin. But the pumpkin aroma is nice. No, man. When you make a pumpkin pie, but you're not smelling pumpkin, you're smelling cinnamon. Dude, when you put the... It's like this. You put the knife through the top of the pumpkin and it goes... That is the best part. And all this air comes out. And it's that wet, dank pumpkin smell. The grabbing the brains. Yes, it's like the pumpkin's armpit. You guys messed up. I'll bring one in. And then you gotta put your hands... In all the pumpkin guts. That is fun. Pumpkin entrails. I saved mine in a trash bag. I'm going to dry it out and try to use it as a smoker thing. You are dynamic. Dude, stop watching HGTV. My wife taught me how to do a crafts thing where you tend it into compost. It's delightful. You're listening to The Mikey Show. Indeed you are. ABC's National Stay-at-Home Week continues.

It clearly looked like a fumble from up here. Let's go down to the field. Upon further review, the ruling on the field is ridiculous. Actually, I didn't really even see the play. I just blew the whistle because I had a piece of stadium hot dog in my throat. Sorry about that.
I clearly made a mistake, and I'm not about to penalize a football team that fought their way back so valiantly. I should go back to my day job. First down, San Diego. Still some more spots on our freeways out here this morning. We've got a heavy backup still in this northbound 5 from Solana Beach up to a jackknife big rig that really caused a mess here past Encinitas Boulevard. And a traffic that remains in effect advising you to avoid that for good reason. Heading south into 5, that's not too bad. A brief slowdown through Encinitas, mainly from looky-loo slowing, and then you're pretty much good to go. South 15 cleaned up quite nicely out of Escondido, still bunching up a little bit around Carmel Mountain Ranch. After traveling west on the 56, we've still got the slow ride here from Camino del Sur, often on the Defy Freeway. The westbound 52 looking good out of Santee, but still backing up out of Kearney Mesa underneath the 805 here out to Regent's Road through San Clemente Canyon. The 8 Freeway is good to go westbound into Mission Valley. West 94 is also looking good into downtown. 805 northbound out of the South Bay looking fine here as well. Just a brief slow down at Governor Drive and South 163. Watch for an accident clearing past Washington and some brake lights around that. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3.
Cricket Wireless Studios. And they're super gassy. Yeah, that's what I heard. K-I-O-C. San Diego's Rock. Here's something you may have missed this morning on the Mikey Show. And then I realized at 3 o'clock in the morning I was taking my medication and I realized I had one pill left of one of my medications. The Mikey Show continues. I'm on the rock. What's going on?
What is going on? Oh, that was great. What did he do? Oh, Rob. He is a jerk. Oh. Oh, hey. What did you do, Rob? Stop using that. He confused me. What did he do? I thought I finished all my cake, and I looked down, and my plate was still there, but I realized that was not my plate. That was Eddie's plate. Very confused. Sky brought us some burnt almond cake, or as she calls it, the burnt almond cake. The boo brought it. He drove it up from the bay, or down from the bay, I should say. All the way from San Jose. How about that? Have you ever had it, Sean, from Dick's Bakery? No. No? Yeah, some sort of specialty that only this one bakery in San Jose made. So good. Whoa. Yeah. It's delicious. Okay. I'm glad you enjoyed. This email is about pumpkin carving. Oh, no. It says, those pumpkin carving kits. Make it really easy to carve pumpkins. And if you use those tools, you can find lots of cool patterns online. I found a Star Wars pattern just by searching. Calm down, Eddie. Calm down, Eddie. My kids and I do those every year. My kids have been able to do it with those kits since they were little. Seriously, you and your wife could have a lot of fun one evening just ordering pizza, put on a scary movie, and sit around carving pumpkins together. Oh, and on one website, they had Chewbacca.
And Yoda patterns. What is it? Zombiepumpkins.com. Go in there now. P1 Supermom. Yeah, check it out. That is rad. I love it. I love it. Rob, did you see the Chewbacca outfit for Jake last night? Uh-uh. You didn't? Rebecca brought it out just for a second. I didn't know if you were in there. No, I didn't. We haven't taken a picture of him yet. I don't think we've put him in it yet. We just have the box, you know, has a picture on the outside. He's going to be so happy. Hey, Zett, see if you could find kids' costume Chewbacca. And, oh, wow, they had a Death Star. Pumpkin Death Star. That's cool. Holy cow. Dude, that's awesome. Wow. There it is. It is. There it is. It's on the very top row. That's it. Look at this, Eddie. Dude, look at that. Oh, yeah. How sweet is that? Oh, my gosh. That is awesome. Isn't that great? That is pretty impressive. That is great. Make him wear it every year. I'm telling you, man. Make him wear it every day. Yeah, every day. Every day. Good call. Seriously. Oh, man. She should bring him in in that in the 28-Hour Show. Please. That's so cute. It's pretty cute. We get to see Shauna's kid, 28-Hour Show. Oh, good. She's thinking about him and making an appearance. Oh, yeah. It's been a while. That kid is going to play pro football, I'm telling you. Please, like tomorrow. Seriously, man. Well, his old man played college football.
And Shauna's not short. She's kind of taller for a girl. And that kid's going to be a big kid for sure. Kim Kardashian got kicked off of Dancing with the Stars the first night. She did? Well, not the first night. She's the first person? No. She's the ninth person to be kicked off of Dancing with the Stars. The third person they kicked off too. That's what I said, right? They kicked off two people the first week and then she, you know, went this week, which was shocking. I thought she was going to do great on the show, but she really doesn't have much rhythm or stage presence, personality. I don't know what it is, but like when they, when she danced the other night and one of the judges said that her dancing was colder and more distant than Siberia. Oh, wow. That's pretty. That's a very harsh statement. Well, what is she famous for anyway? Despite all the difficulty that you endured out here on the floor from these guys here, are you glad that you took part in the show? You know what? No. Years ago, my father passed away, and I just know he's really happy and watching over me, and I made him proud. I bet you did. Any words for your dad? For my dad? Yeah. He's doing such a great job. He inspires me. He's always been my hero, and I'm so proud to be sharing the stage with him, and I'm glad he's still alive. All right, buddy.
I'm glad he's still alive. Bad choice of words. I think you've been alive in the competition. That was kind of weird. I think you guys might enjoy this. Now it's time for the YouTube clip of the day. So, you know how cultures are just different, right? It's no different with Germany. They have their own culture. Hey, listen, sometimes in America, we're used to seeing things happen on TV and little things aren't a big deal to us. Right. You know, for instance, what you're about to hear is a German weather woman. She's doing a telecast and she's doing the weather. And for a second, instead of going back to her, they had a shot of the anchor desk. And, you know, the anchor desk was empty. Really outrageous to this weather one. Okay.
Don't think about it. Don't think about how Don't think about how they were supposed to come back to a shot of you and accidentally had a shot at the anchor desk, which was empty. Don't think about it. Wow. It's pot-free in Germany today. What's the deal? Well, listen, that was the warm-up act for Katie Couric and Sarah Palin.
Let the healing begin. This is the point in the show where Sky and I are like allies joining together. This is what really brings us together. It's like England and the United States joining arms. Moments like this. Totally. We're like NATO. BFFs. Best friends forever. Sky is a liberal Democrat. And I am a conservative Republican. And what you're about to hear is the Republican vice presidential nominee being interviewed by a very liberal press. Are you sure? And in this case, Katie Couric, who asks very respectful questions. And when it comes to establishing your worldview, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read?
asks that. What? That's so rude. Why is that rude? It's so disrespectful and so rude. You would never ask a man that question. Oh, so the guys when they're asked, oh, what's on your iPod? What do you watch on TV? That's a lifestyle question. You don't understand the difference to the question? This is exactly the same to me. What do you do in your great time? Talk to your best friend. I'm going to talk to my BFF. Skye, don't you think that maybe that appears like they are trying to paint Sarah Palin as this person? You know, quizzing her as a dummy. As a dummy. Quizzing her. Okay, well, if she is a dummy. It's a quiz. Miss Palin, do you read Ladies Home Journal? Or, like, what exactly are you reading? Okay, well, I am waiting for her to prove us wrong. Before you were tapped for this to stay informed and to understand the world. I've read most of them, again, with a great appreciation for the press, for the media. You know what happens, by the way? Most of them. Most of them? Listen, you want to know why she's not going to say the New York Times? Most of them.
What's a good answer? Are there only a couple? What would be a good answer? She can't. Anything. Well, listen. Anything would be a good answer. If I'm her people, don't go there. And the reason that you don't go there is as soon as you give them, this is a very, to me, media savvy politician. Because if you go there and you say, I read the New York Times. Oh, well, then certainly you're familiar with the New York Times article on September 14th. Oh, please. No, they would never do that. She's supposed to remember every single edition of the New York Times ever written. But then she'd have to say that. Sky, you've never heard that happen before? If she says, I read the New York Times. Really? What did you think of the Times article about blah, blah, blah, blah, blah? oh, I don't read every single article. And then everybody goes, oh boy, really read it. She doesn't really read it. Okay, so it's better for her to say, I read them. You know what she should have said? I think she answered wrong. You know what I think she should have said? She did answer wrong. I think that she should have said what the truth was, which is that is a really rude and inappropriate... Sean, do you think that's a rude question? It's so like...
Excuse me, which newspaper specifically do you read? Because what we know about you is that you can't read. Isn't that true? You don't read. Do you really read? What do you read? Like recipe books. Yes. I think that she is giving her the opportunity to show everyone that she's not some kind of dummy. Tell everyone what you do, what you read, how you form your opinions. And let's put this all to bed. Really? That's interesting because I think that what we should do with Barack Obama is because since we know that Barack Obama is a very good orator who, if given a teleprompter, can say some really cool stuff in a really cool way. Since we know that about Barack Obama and the criticism of Barack Obama is that he doesn't have any substance, what we should do is, and I just haven't seen it, we should have him on and we should quiz him too because Sarah Palin has been quizzed. That's not a quiz. It's a question. What do you read? The nature of the question is... That's a quiz. You don't know. 1842. I don't know. And I will not be running for office.
in the 1600s sometimes. Oh, jeez. But I'm not quite sure. I'm going to have a heart attack when we play these clips. I'm telling you. I don't know if we're going to get through it. I don't either. This next one will not... Oh, we don't get to hear the rest of it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We can hear the rest of it. What specifically, I'm curious that you... All of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years. Listen, you're not going to get an argument from me that it sounds awful. It does. It sounds awful. But I think that she's in a position where she's like up. She knows she can't answer it. If it were me, I'm not answering that question. I'm not going to give you the New York Times. I'm not going to give you anything I read. I'm not going to give you the Alaska Tribune, because if I do, you've got a lot of notes in front of you and you'll probably ask me about something from the Alaska Tribune. And the truth is, maybe I don't read it every day, but I read it. I know I'm not stupid. I don't think she's stupid. And I think that that is. clearly where they're going with Sarah Palin. It drives me nuts with Sarah Palin because if anybody asks her anything, if anybody challenges her, it's obviously attack. It's obviously an attack against her. It's obviously sexism because she's a woman. It's like, no, all of these candidates are getting asked this kind of stuff. Yeah. Like, please. She's not being attacked. This is politics. There is some stuff in that argument that you just said right now that I have to agree with.
I have to. Because, listen, you're the vice presidential nominee. You're going to get asked questions. Yeah, we want to know you. But I don't feel that that question is a let's get to know Sarah Palin question. Now, do I think that the question should be, tell me about your favorite memory with your daughter? I'm not looking for that. I'm not looking for that. I am looking for, I'm also though, I also don't think it's fair to be like, So, concerning the state of Georgia, when President Kukimakhl Malachah was sworn in under the Red Treaty of 1927 and then changed that treaty, can you tell me what part of that treaty do you most agree with? I mean, that stuff to me is minutia. And I understand that those are big world issues. There's no doubt about it. Every candidate gets that.
I have never heard Barack Obama asked questions like she was asked on that thing. Yeah, his questions aren't as basic as the one she's getting. Oh, Sky. Her questions are, define the Bush doctrine. Sky. Read us the Star Spangled Banner. He was asked, he was asked, Barack Obama was asked when life begins, and his answer was 15 minutes long, and it started with, well, that's above my pay grade. What does that even mean? That means that it's up to God. That's my interpretation. Why doesn't he say that's up to God? Because some people would be offended by the use of the word God. That was at the faith forum. So? That was what it was all about. It was all about God. So only Christians are watching the faith forum? No, but the whole thing is about God. Everybody can talk about God. No, it's not about God. It's about faith. Okay. Okay. Fine. But isn't like God the over... I mean, he's saying he's... So if he believes in God, he can't say the word God. He could say it, but it's probably better that he doesn't. Well, he did. He did say it. It's probably better that he doesn't. He took it further than that. He took it further than God. I mean, he went all into Christ and all that stuff. He was saying that he's Christian. But talk about a guy that dances around questions. So you're comparing what do you read to when does life begin? Well, yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, yeah. Does that, I mean. No, no, no. When you sit down and think about that. I'll tell you why it doesn't. You are either pro-choice or you're pro-life. And we know what he is. Everybody knows what he is. Yeah, it's no secret. I think that the question was. I don't know. What is he? He's pro-choice. He's pro-choice. But I think that the question was meant to get him to tell everybody why he is. Right. Just like same thing with John McCain. He got the same question. Right. Okay. The Palin question is a setup. According to you, your interpretation. Yes. Mine and Sean's interpretation, completely different. You believe that it would sound like this. What newspapers or magazines do you read? I like the New York Times. Thank you. Our next question, you think it would go like that? I would think it would go, oh, is there anything else? Like, do you read entertainment stuff? Do you like magazines? Like, I don't think I... I would put money on... No follow-up. No follow-up question. Well, no, that is a follow-up question. The follow-up question would be really... Like, I want more than one answer. What about Entertainment Weekly? I read Entertainment Weekly, I read Red Book, and I read the USA Today cover to cover. You're a dummy. Oh, so... No. Oh, you read, you know, Entertainment Weekly, so are you really into entertainment and TV shows? I have varied interests, yes. Cool. I don't see it going there. Cool. Personally, I don't see it going there. Isn't that what Katie Couric said? Cool.
Yeah, I never for a second thought she would go, okay, well then, what about this article from 1982? You know, like, please. I'll tell you this. I think it's getting to her. Media would never do that. I think it's getting to her. I think it's starting to get to Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin. Yeah, I do believe she's getting ambushed. And I think it's getting to her. I think they're all getting ambushed. If any of them give a tiny little thing, it's, I mean, you know, we're... almost a month away from the election. Do you hate women? Oh, man, I know. Sky hates women so much. Well, that went well. You know, if you guys ate. Ashley, if you and Sky really believed in women's rights, you would vote for Sarah Palin. Absolutely. Oh, my heart is pounding like Thor's hammer on Dr. Doomsday King-infused face paint. Rock. 105.3. We're standing outside First Trust Bank with Pete Farwell, who witnessed the robbery. Yeah, so I was depositing money, and I'm standing in line. The one right on maple. Yeah, anyway, so I noticed this guy behind me. Now, are those highlights?
Yeah, highlights. Wow. Back to the robbery. So I dove toward the counter. Shocking. I did not know Supercuts did highlights. Would I look good as a blonde, Pete? I guess. Other rides still very tough on this northbound 5. A jackknife big rig black in the left lanes here just past Encinitas Boulevard. Still has you just slow and going, crawling out of Solana Beach all the way up into Encinitas. And you're being advised to avoid that stretch for good reason. Other than that, though, there was one earlier accident, South 163, just past Washington. Might still be in the clearing stages there. Richter Freeway South 15 looking good. East County and South Bay rides are also up to speed, so enjoy the ride. I'm McLaurin on Rock 105.3. Mileage tips presented by Chevron. Here's an easy one. To improve mileage, come by Chevron and fill up with air. That's right, air. When was the last time you checked the air pressure in your tires? Can't remember? Then it's definitely been too long. Did you know even tires in good shape can lose about one pound of pressure a month? And underinflated tires make your engine work harder, lowering your mileage.
But don't over-inflate them. You can usually find the recommended tire pressure on a sticker located on the driver's side door jam. And speaking of air, air conditioning is not so hot for your car's mileage either. Whenever you turn it on, it puts an added strain on your engine. Now, at highway speeds, it's probably better to use the A.C. rather than roll down the windows because of the aerodynamics. But around town, enjoy the fresh air. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. Now back to the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I really do think of the hurricanes as sort of celebrities. Eddie. I have a very strong sensitivity to smells. Sky. I don't like stinky cheeks. Sean. Headshot boys are one of my favorite things. Boston Rob. I was like a shaken puppy. Like I... That's a very common terminology. You guys don't use that? Maybe it's an East Coast thing. And Ashley. I'm always dehydrated. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. It's a Mikey Show. It is 942. The governor signed a new law yesterday that will require chain restaurants in California to display calorie count on their menu. Al Davis fires Lane Kiffin, held a crazy press conference yesterday where he calls Kiffin a liar. Lane Kiffin responds.
Watching that press conference and all the things he said and putting a letter up there that just because you put it on paper doesn't make it true, there's no way I can start getting to respond to all the different things that were said by him in that press conference. Like I said, it was very painful. There's no way I'm going to start doing that right now, getting into what he said or I said, because I was embarrassed to watch that. That is heavy. Wow. That is... For real, that's NFL history. That's historical. It's probably going to get uglier before it gets better. Yeah, I think so. I think so, too. 570-1053 is our phone number. In case you didn't hear it earlier, cut 49. This morning, I called Lane and told him that he no longer is the head coach of the Oakland Raiders.
And I'm dismissing him with cause and that I just just couldn't go on much longer with the what I would call propaganda, the lying that had been going on for weeks and months and a year and time. And he had a few questions. He says, does that mean I don't get paid? I said, that's what I'm saying to you. One day, I was walking by him in the hall, and I said to him, good morning, Lane, and he did not respond. And therefore, and I have two assistant coaches whose offices were open that did not hear him. My secretary, Betty. Did not hear him say, good morning, Mr. Davis. He will testify on the oath. On the oath that he did not say good morning that day.
March 14th of 2007. Good morning, Lane. Nothing. Cause. He will not be paid the additional $2 million owed to him until he says good morning, Mr. Davis. April 3rd. April 3rd. He did not wear any Raiders paraphernalia whatsoever. Two weight training coaches witnessed this. Two. Cause. Cause, one time, he made a, what we call a deuce. Okay. No air deodorizer whatsoever. No courtesy flush. Cause. No courtesy flush cause. You will see that listed as item B.
Can you put it up? That's a picture. That's not his. That's not his. Go to the next frame. There's his. Much more stew-like. Don't point like you just hit a home run. Don't stew references. I appreciate stew references. Okay, so is this a stupid question or is this obvious? You can't say yes before she's asked a question because we don't know what it is yet. Shut up. Or is this obviously going to end up in the court system? Yeah, probably will. If you don't pay him, yeah. If he doesn't want to pay him, yeah. Cause. Cause. Oh, no. Cause. Who ate the rest of the peanut butter and didn't tell the snack equipment manager? To replace it. Talk about some weird reasons to fire somebody coming up with stuff. Good news, Ash. Kirsten Dunst is going to be in Spider-Man 4. She said it. She'll do it. She's in. She's in. She's 100% in. She said that during an interview with MTV. Spider-Man 4 is due out in May of 2011.
Ashley does not like that. That's a long time. Yeah. On Eddie's yesterday email, he says that he was finally able to play, sit down, because he's done with Star Wars. He's almost at the end of Star Wars. He needed a break. He needed a break. So you can come back at it with fresh eyes. My eyes started to burn. I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding. Oh, that's bad. Rob, you'll be happy to hear that Eddie spent his downtime with a little guitar hero. What's up? He hates it. He's so irritated by Guitar Hero. It was actually really fun. I was surprised. I thought it was going to be real goofy. It's a good time. What chord did you learn yesterday? Green? It's not about learning. Here's his solo.
Yellow, yellow, green, green, green, blue, yellow, red. Red, red, green, green. Green, blue, red. Red, red, blue, red, red, red, red. It's not about learning. Oh, my God. Robert, I think you would have a really good time. Come over to the house. We'll play. No, hold on. How come he invites me over for this? No, because you don't understand. I want to play video games at his house. Air hero. But I will not. Play that stupid, ridiculous game. Once you strap on the axe, bro. No axe. Yeah, once you get that axe around your neck, it's totally different. Doesn't that upset you that he calls that much? I was doing the Eddie Van Halen kicks. Nice. Oh, sweet. Nice. I don't know what we're yelling about. You'd like it, Rob. You'd probably be pretty good. He would love it. You even know what you look like. I'll get wrong, Ben. I'll get wrong, Ben, and you could be. I refuse. That'd be fantastic. That'd be stupid. Why are you acting like this? It's fun, Mike. Why don't we have you guys, Rob, do a guitar hero challenge with him. No. Please. I'll kill you. I'm real good.
How much would you love this movie? With everything that Rob has said about it, how much would you love to, dude, let's have you guys do it. No, I'm not doing it. 28-hour show. Let's have you guys do it on stage. We don't even have anyone to do it. Oh, on stage? Let's blow stuff off to have you guys do it on stage. Rob, it'll be fun. Well, and I love how he's totally objecting to it, but if it's so easy and if it's all, oh, red, yellow, blue, blue, like, what are you scared of? Yeah, then it shouldn't be any problem at all. I'm not scared of it. It's stupid. Terrified, terrified. How about let's do a regular guitar lesson? But you've never played guitar. Yeah, I have. You have? Yeah. Not played with it. Played the guitar. Not like pluck the string. Oh, look at you. My dog has fleas. My dog has fleas. I have fleas. That's a good jam. I am picturing... Oh, I'm all the way in. It'll be fun. Yeah, we'd love to watch that. So stupid. I wonder if P1s would be interested in coming down in front of a stage and watching these two do Guitar Hero up on stage. Yeah, so does stage presence count? Like, I don't know how Guitar Hero... Spaceboy just sent me an IM saying, awesome idea. Eddie would whoop him. I'm going to rock the house, y'all. He would whoop him.
I think stage presence is important. Absolutely. Absolutely. If that'll add to it, then I will throw my Eddie Van Halen cake. Nice. Throw the pics out to the audience. That's right. You don't even use pics, do you? That's how absurd it is. I'll find some. Oh, my. Dude. It's on. Come on, Rob. You got to do it. You have to. I'm naturally talented at video games. We all witnessed it at the Madden thing. Oh, jeez. So, I mean, I'll do it. Yeah, can we make sure it's a PlayStation this time, please? Oh, yeah, because that matters. Wasn't he a gamer? Like, Taylor just IM'd and said, um, yes? Yeah. That's just rude, Rob. Oh, no. Oh, my. We have to do this. I'll do it, but this is going to be the stupidest thing. I don't care what we have planned. We got to push something back so we can do it. I want a front row seat for this. We got to talk to Jay and see if he can work it out so that we could have you guys doing this on stage during the 28 hour. Wait, maybe we could do Mikey Idol and continue the musical theme and do it right after that. Please, let's do that. And it'll be kind of dust so maybe Jay can get some light strobes going. Dude, what's up?
Rob is so annoyed. I want a professional photographer out there taking pictures of Rob playing guitar. This guy thinks it's a great idea. He thinks it's a great idea. We're sending such a bad message. Come over to the house and speak and we will practice. No, I'm not. Wow. This is... On a magic comp and rhyme. Wow. Space Boy said you guys should wear 80s rock costumes. Mikey Show, hello. How you doing? He's all a bomb because he knows I play Guitar Hero. My 15-year-old girl, my girlfriend's daughter who's 15 can beat him.
See, I don't even get... I'm not claiming to be great. I'm just saying I know I can be Rob. Oh, for sure. How does it work? You get this Tickle Me Elmo guitar. Such a jerk. And the buttons, when they're off, I think when you're not playing the guitar hero, you give it to, like, your two-year-old, and it's like, the cow says move. On a Rock 105.3. Let's see. Welcome back. Hi. Welcome back. Very nice to see you. It's K-I-O-Z San Diego. Hit it. It's K-I-O-Z San Diego. Hit it. K-I-O. K-I-O. K-I-O. K-I-O. Nice to have you. You tactic. How dare you? Off the air. Sky and I were having a big debate about Terminator, the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Yes. It's the worst show on television. What? And I want it to be good so bad. That's why I still watch. It is. Because it's Terminator. How many episodes? It was on a year. Yeah. And it's been on, I think, three episodes.
Into the new season. So you watched a whole season plus three. Yes. And still I'm watching in hopes that it becomes The Terminator. Right. But it's so terrible, dude. The acting is like... Awesome. Nothing I can describe. It's so bad. It's pretty good, actually. Oh, wow. Sean, you were agreeing with me. Stop it. No, no, no. I do agree with you. I mean, last night it was... Hey, leave Allison alone. It was completely unrealistic and unbelievable. This female Terminator. The robot is unrealistic. The female Terminator. How dare you? Something's wrong with it. And it starts to have memories. Well, she was in an explosion. It starts to have memories of the female person that it is impersonating. And it starts crying. But it's a machine. The robot. A robot. They also bleed. They bleed, Mike, too. But they're machines. Well, yeah, but they're made to look exactly like people. So does it menstruate? No. You know what? I wouldn't doubt it. Oh, come on. Please. It's a machine. It's brutal, dude. It's so bad. It's so good. It's the worst show on television. Is it good or is it bad? It's the worst show on television. Generally, it's good. Yeah. Well, then that should explain everything. Yeah, there you go. I rest my case. I look forward to watching it every week. But you watch it because it's bad.
You even told me that. Well, I enjoy some of its badness, but I love it. I love it. It's terrible, dude. Allison gets it. That is bad. That's the Terminator's real name. Well, the person that she was replicating. You know what I mean. And crying. Well, it's very traumatic what she went through. When she was captured. She had memories of a life she never lived. Kind of like that. Kind of like the Star Trek. Yeah, searching for pickles. Wait. What was it? I don't think it was called searching for pickles. Trouble with pickles. No. What? The trouble with pickles? No, the light at the end of the tunnel. Yeah. Pickles. The distant light. No, it was the dark night. Rock the Casbah. Rock the Casbah. Is that right, Sean? Oh, he's not. It doesn't sound right. What's the episode we're going to watch on the 20 hours? You Light Up My Life. It's called You Light Up My Life. I got it. I just Googled it. You're way off. Eddie having to perform sound effects Sean refuses to hit. Sean, what's the name of the episode? I'm not going to tell you. We can all look it up. It's on MikeyShow.com. Yeah, that's right.
You can YouTube anything, right? YouTube. Shut up. YouTube. The far light. Here comes trouble. Red light district? Come on, baby. Light my fire. Candle in the wind. That's it. That must be it. Sounds familiar. Yeah, they all do. It's called the internet light. You're a little over-modulated. Hey, Sean, turn your mic down. Check your mic. Look at him. I don't like you guys. Save that clip. Right? What are your best friends? One week, 28 hours, bro. What's Sean going to reveal this year? Oh, my gosh. How are you? He was like at that sexual perversion club. My money's on S&M this year.
We have found out so many crazy things about Sean. On the 28-hour show last year, we found out that he was a furry. We have found out that he danced competitively in a bulimian dance troupe. Bulimian! Right? Just go out and vomit on the stage and then leave. Is that what it was? Something like that. It's a little slick out there. Oh, he signed off. Don't sign off. Stop it. Hate that. So we find out new stuff all the time about him. So who knows? Who knows what we might find out? No. We might find out. I'm not even going to talk this time. You know, it's so funny, man, because Space Boy and Danny were both saying they would love an hour of just Sean being interviewed. They love to hear about the germ stuff. They love it. And I actually said.
I go, do you mean the germ stuff? And they at the same time go, anything. And I think that a lot of people think that Sean, they're just real interested in his very quirky way. He's, you know, real strange. He's a strange person. It's not that interesting and it's actually not very strange at all. You don't think it's strange that you shed a tear over one of the newer episodes of Star Trek? Or you get turned on by Donald Duck. Sean. No, you do not. You're not allowed. We're working here, bro. You're on the payroll. Turned on by Donald Duck. He is kind of sexy, Sean. I'm not going to lie. What do you think is going to happen? So bushy. Right? Lovers. We'll see.
If any new surprises. Did anyone see a show called Do Not Disturb on Fox? Yep. What? Because it's been canceled after two episodes. I didn't even know it existed. Didn't even know it existed. Don't even know what it is. It was Jerry O'Connell and that chick from Reno 911. I was way off. Yeah, they had a sitcom together on Fox called Do Not Disturb, and they both kind of ran this hotel together and all the hijinks that ensued. Why do you lie, liar? I enjoyed it, but I guess Fox didn't. After only a couple of airings, they have canceled it. It's the first casualty of the new TV season. Less than 5 million people tuned in. Really? Do you watch the Jay Moore show? Yes, I watched the first episode. How is it? It's okay. I mean, it's kind of... That means it's terrible. It's kind of the formula. Like, oh, we get divorced, we're trying to work together, and you have a new guy, and I got a new girl, and we're raising a child. Sounds good. Yeah. A dude in Santee with a foot fetish was sentenced yesterday for giving girls money and drugs to let him play with their feet.
Look at that. That is not funny. Ew. That is creepy. It's creepy and weird. Show me the money. Evidence right there. He was given probation for five years in order to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. I mean, a woman approached me. seven times a day. Oh, okay, Dimitri. I'm sorry. So he will have to be released into the custody of his mother. Keep in mind, he's a 49-year-old man. Into the custody of... Did you just say he's being released into the custody of his mother? Yes. Until... Listen, if they're going to go that far, just go for it and say mommy. If they're going to take it that far... Thank you. I mean, he's almost 50 years old. Then it might, you know, make the entire joke then if you're going to... So he'll be released into the custody of his mom in Riverside until they can place him in a residential group home where he can be supervised. The governor signed a new law yesterday requiring chain restaurants in California to display calorie counts. Do you think that that will make a difference? It will for me. I love my baby back. It will too. Baby back.
Thank you. Thank you. I like to play the leader. Thank you. Oh, 64 calories. I will take it. Thank you. Thank you. When you hit your family, thank you. Oh, Jenny Craig says yes. Oh, thank you. Wow. Yeah, so starting next year. People are too fat. Thank you. Yeah, thank you. Thank you for not eating so much. I like to play the leader. Thank you. Thank you. I like to eat a claim job, but thank you. Thank you. How many in this sandwich? So this will only apply to restaurants that have more than 20 locations. Thank you.
425 in the French onion. Thank you. Only restaurants that have more than 20 locations in California will have to, you know, so the bigger chains. And so starting in July of 09, they'll be required to provide brochures, but by January of 2011, they'll have to. Brochures? Yeah. So they don't have to redo the whole menu and the whole order board. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just give me the brochures. But then by 2011, they'll have to have it on the menu and on the order board, whether you're going into McDonald's or not. I need to check the tour of Italy. Thank you. That's a lot of calories. How much into Vallabidon? Thank you. I don't want to know that. I don't want to know that. Seriously, make me stop going out to eat. Oh, definitely. I won't be able to. Oh, no. Oh, thank you. Maria, call it the wallaby. Let's get the heck out of here. Thank you for telling me. Do you have a quarter order? Quarter order? Does that include, like, Dairy Queen, stuff like that? It's a chain, right? If they have more than 20 locations in California, they will have to apply. Is it like fast food restaurants? They give you anything. If you have like Chili's, Applebee's, McDonald's. What about McDonald's? Really? Yeah. That's a change. Yep. Forget it. People aren't going to eat it anymore. I don't eat the filet of fish anyway. It's fish. Thank you. I'm on a diet. I'm on a diet. I take three. Give me three. I'll say fish filet sandwiches. I want to know more about this Wall Street bailout thing. It's going to go tonight. They're going to vote on it tonight in the Senate. Yeah, they've done some changes to it to try and make it more appealing for the Republicans to vote for it. So some of the things that they've done is they're going to raise the federal deposit insurance limit from $100,000 to $250,000. Oh, wow. That's awesome. Which is cool for everybody. I don't know if a lot of people know this, but when you put your money in the bank... You're only insured for the first $100,000. So if you're like a rich guy and you have $500,000 in the bank and the bank goes bankrupt or gets robbed or whatever, they only have to pay you back $100,000. Oh, wow. The federal government insures everyone up to $100,000. Yeah, but the rest of your money is just gone. What if you only have $14? Do you still get the $100,000?
I'll go rob my own bank. What if you're overdrawn? Do you still get the $100,000? So other things being added on would be incentives to companies to develop renewable energy, also tax cuts for businesses and families, and then also they're going to be doing something with the alternative minimum tax. So that's something that, you know, but like details are really sketchy right now. You know, we haven't seen the full bill in the writing, but it should be all written up and ready for a vote by tonight. Americans, because of what the government and Wall Street got us into, Americans should, I think it's only fair that Americans get some sort of a little kiss. You know, in some way. In some way. We need a little smooch. We need a little pat on the bottom. Oh, yeah. Good job. Good game. Good game. Good play. Thanks for hanging in there with us. Nice hustle. Nice hustle, America. Thanks for hanging in with us. So we went from a kiss to being felt up? No, no, no. I don't mean that you stay there. You just pat America. That's good hustle. Good game. You pat America and you say good hustle. You know what I'm saying? You don't.
Stay in the neighborhood. You're just passing by. You know what I'm saying? I know exactly what you're saying, buddy. She's got me. I don't think I want that. She's like, Hey, hon, what are you up to? In the middle of her comments, I'm like, Bow, wow. Bow, wow. That's my guitar hero. Doing a little guitar hero. That's where you roll. I ain't doing no guitar hero, but I just like that clip from Eddie. You do what you do, homie. Nice. Before I go, I would like to say one thing. Thank you. Thank you. But anyway, I had this idea. You guys never thought about calling the Guinness Book a world record? If you guys can get the 28-hour show into the world's record?
I don't know if 28 Hours is a record. I have no idea. I don't think so. I don't think it is either. But the thing is, is that I know that whenever DJs have done marathons, they don't usually, or excuse me, what they usually do is play music or commercials or take little breaks or whatever. The concept of going on without commercial breaks or music is a new concept to me. Right. But I don't know what the record is. I'm sure all of us would be willing to try to break it, whatever it is. Come on, T-Rex. There you go. Thank you. Hey, can we get Sean on the stage doing his Ukrainian dance? Fantastic. Eddie has his hands in the prey position. Oh, that would be so great if he would do it. Sean, are you there? Never in a million years. Thank you. Thank you. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. Hey, what up, dude? How's it going, man? Good. How's his team doing, man, nowadays with football, dude? Like, is he crying or what? Yeah, I'm balling over here in tears, and I just, you know. In the fetal position. You can tell. Hey, how are the Sox doing, though, I guess? They're playing tonight in the ALDS against the Angels. What time, man? Tonight at about 7 o'clock. You can check it out on TBS. Oh, yeah, last thing, man. Congratulations, dude, on your, what is it, fiance or whatever? Yeah, that's what it would be. Yeah, dude, congratulations, man. Who is this? Oh, yeah, I totally get that. Yeah, dude, but have a good one. Have a good one. I totally get that is my favorite line of the morning.
