Mike and the crew argued over Sarah Palin and Joe Biden before the vice-presidential debate, with Mike saying selective questions can make anyone look dumb while others pressed Palin for direct answers. Boston Rob described his extreme Red Sox superstitions, and Mike and Sky clashed over whether letting a toddler steer from a parent's lap is meaningful bonding or needless danger. The show's big comedy contests featured Ashley's nearly unrecognizable tone-deaf karaoke and her emotional 23-19 Whopper loss to P1 Quimby, while a planned charity auction offered a date with Zeth. In more serious stories, P1 Mike recounted being maced by an armed fake cop during a home invasion, and the crew covered a man punching a shark to save his puppy. Sky also tied advice about hostile in-laws to her old restaurant-radio conflict, and the show capped another memorable stretch by ridiculing a sprinkler-rainbow conspiracy video.
What happened, in order
Boston Rob's playoff quarantine
Boston Rob admitted that Red Sox playoff games make him so tense and superstitious that his fiancee leaves the room and parts of his house become off-limits after bad plays.
The Palin-Biden dumb-off
Mike and the crew previewed the vice-presidential debate by sparring over Sarah Palin's knowledge, Joe Biden's historical gaffe, and whether media questioning was designed to make Palin look foolish.
Twenty-eight-hour delirium
The show replayed a sleep-deprived meltdown from a previous 28-hour broadcast in which Ashley called Boston Rob Sideshow Bob and angrily attacked his unwashed ponytail.
Tone-deaf karaoke
Callers tried to identify hit songs from Ashley's wildly off-key renditions, with P1 Spaceboy somehow recognizing Savage Garden while other contestants missed Dead or Alive, 311, and the Scorpions.
Driving on Dad's lap
Mike called steering a car from his father's lap a cherished bonding memory and hinted that he lets his own toddler do it, while Sky argued that a child's enjoyment does not make the practice safe.
Dr. Fett's crash diet
A request to lose 20 pounds in two weeks became a Dr. Phil parody in which Mike's Dr. Fett prescribed prison, insulting diet books, tapeworms, and a cruel Yankee Doodle lullaby.
The Whopper showdown
In the Ashley Eating Competition, P1 Quimby beat Ashley 23 Whoppers to 19 in one minute, prompting Ashley to throw candy, blame her two-handed strategy, and nearly cry.
Man punches shark for puppy
The crew celebrated a Florida man who dove underwater and punched a shark hard enough to make it release his 14-pound rat terrier.
The fake-cop home invasion
P1 Mike said an armed intruder posing as a police officer forced into his Vista house, broke his bong, maced him, accused the residents of selling marijuana, and fled without stealing anything.
Auctioning a date with Zeth
To raise money for Children's Hospital during the 28-hour show, the crew planned to auction a same-night date with Zeth starting at 25 cents and opened the bidding to everyone.
In-laws and the hurricane bit
While advising an engaged cheater to confront hostile future in-laws honestly, Sky recalled her own feud after leaving her mother-in-law's restaurant to air a comedy bit in which her vagina reported from a hurricane.
The government rainbow conspiracy
The hosts mocked a self-posted video by a woman who saw a sprinkler rainbow and concluded that metallic salts in the water or oxygen proved something unnatural was oozing from the ground.

Mikey Show here on a Thursday at 6.02. Last night, the Senate passed the sweetened Wall Street bailout bill. Now it goes to the House for a vote. The baseball playoffs kicked off last night. Boston took the 1-0 lead over the Angels behind a strong outing from John Lester and a two-run shot from Jason Bay. Jason talks about his first playoff game. Yeah, I mean, to try to keep it as normal as I could, everybody wanted to know what, you know, I said before, what are the guys that played in the first? playoff game ever do because they didn't have any experience. How did they get through that? I tried to approach it the same. I wanted to know if it was going to be different. I had nothing really to compare it to. It was the same game. You get out there and you can tell it's not. It's a little bit different. Once you get over that and you get into the flow of it a little bit, it's baseball again. I couldn't have picked a better first game, I guess. You know, I'm glad that we won, and that's it. Hey, did you watch it? Yes, I did. Boston Rob? Of course. No, no, no, I know you watched it. When I said Boston Rob, I wanted to hear your reaction. You know, I thought that was one of the best games I've seen all season. Really? Yeah. You really enjoyed it? The pitching was just fantastic, and then there was just enough action to keep me sitting at the edge. Like, I couldn't breathe.
for a couple of innings. My back tense stopped. My knees did that like you think you're sitting still and they start wobbling and I'm like, am I really shaking? What's going on? Dude, it was lights out baseball. It was just amazing. Would you not agree, Eddie, that that was a great game? Yeah, it was a good game. It was close. I mean, they were playing small ball. Dude, in the beginning of the game when... Whatever. In the beginning of the game, when Terry Francona and Mike Socha, or whatever his name is, are going back and forth with the signals, you know, and the cameras are showing each guy, and they're playing that mind game. It was just, what are you laughing at? What time did your game start? 7.05. Oh, man, I wish I would have watched it. I'm taking a turn now. Was it a small mind game? We don't know. Back tonight? Are they playing again tonight? No. Tomorrow night. Tomorrow night. I'll be up there. Oh, we know. That's right, tomorrow night. Same time, 7 o'clock? No, 6.30. Fox? TBS. TBS. They own the playoffs. Okay. Everybody's got to go to TBS for the... Not the... Certainly not like the ALDS or the NLDS, right? Not TBS. That'll be on the... CS. That'll be on the networks. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So it must be these first round deals. These two. Well, I will be watching tomorrow night, rooting for your Red Sox, Boston Rob. So you watch the game? Of course not. No, no, no. Tomorrow night, I can stay up late. Tomorrow night, I'm allowed to stay up late. He doesn't like small ball, that's the thing. Mike's out on small ball. What did Eddie think of the game? He's looking at me like I'm a crazy person. I'm sorry, I'm wicked excited. I haven't done anything. No, no, no. How dare you? He hasn't worked together for so long that I just know this guy. Well, yeah, Eddie, you know if you didn't have like a parade this morning, like you're obviously a jerk. Yeah, unless Eddie came in here. I'm really sorry, I don't. Unless Eddie came in here, you know, wearing some sort of Boston Red Sox, you know, an original uniform with cleats. You know what I mean? Then forget it. I mean, I thought it was a pretty good game. I thought that Jon Lester threw real good and, you know.
You see the catch by Jacoby Ellsbury? Did you see that catch? I don't know why I'm being attacked right now. I'm happy for the guy. He loved it. He liked the game. He thought it was good. He enjoyed it. I mean, are you even surprised that I watched the whole game? I watched the game. I'm shocked. That's why I'm like, dude, let's talk. Let's do this. Come on. Let's do this. I don't want to do this. Rob. I, you know, your enthusiasm, you can't help but have it be a little bit contagious because you're so enthusiastic and passionate about it. You can't help but get behind it. But, you know, what's a bummer is I don't think I'd ever be able to, you could never allow it for me to be able to enjoy a game with you. Oh, no. You'd never allow it, right? My fiance left and went in my room and watched some stuff she had TiVo'd for. What? A good hour. Why? I just, I'm not like. You're not fun. You're not you. No, I'm not. I'm not me. I'm not me. And she knows this. October, I turn into a different person. Yeah. I'm not myself. I'm very high strung. And I mean, the first couple innings. I think you're a bit high strung. Yeah. Just in general. I do think that you may be a hothead. Yeah. Yeah, I get a little angry at the TV. And I say some things that I have to take back later. Yeah.
Make some apologies. To the TV? Yeah, to the TV. Question. Do you feel that because she went in the room last night for an hour that that's probably the right course of action? No, I'm really working on that kind of stuff. Okay. Well, then if you're working on it, maybe I can watch a game with you. No. Especially if they won. No. I tell you what, Rob. Why don't we do it during... You can come over after the game. Why don't we... Just a suggestion. Why don't we do it during a safe time? meaning that there's no series on the line. That way, if they win, we've decided it's safe to watch games. And if they lose the day that I watch, well, then we just won't make that mistake again. You know what I mean? Hey, there we go. There we go. Do it in April or something. Spring training. Yeah, you know, March. But yeah, I just, she was like, let's go out back and smoke because we got a TV set up out back by the dartboard. And I was like, I'm like, try not to vocalize what I'm thinking in my head because she'll be like, you are insane. But I was like, when I went out there for the third inning, bad things were going on. You know, the era happened. And I'm like, I can't go up to the back of my house for the rest of the game. Like, that place is quarantined off. I can't go there. Are you crazy? I have to go to the front now. Be so funny if Rob got to heaven and God was like, you really did affect those games. I know it. I know it.
Seth, go ahead. Go ahead. When Bay hit that home run last night, I'm thinking to myself, I really hope nobody was in the bathroom right now because Rob's going to make him stay in there for about four and a half years. For real. Oh, yeah. It's brutal watching games to me. Rob says if people go to the restroom and something great happens, he doesn't want them to leave the restroom. It makes sense. It's logical. That's crazy. Can they leave the door open like Skye and watch the game? Yeah, yeah. Skye does that. However you are in the bathroom, if you're sitting down, put the cover down and take a seat and get comfortable. We'll call you when we need you. Is that why you have throw pillows next to your toilet? Yes. Seven people on the Mikey Show. I know it. It's a lot, right? I'm the host. My name's Mike. And on the radio, I go by Mikey. But most people know me as Mike. I mean, that's what everybody calls me. All my friends call me Mike. But for, you know, whatever reason, 13 years ago now, I was given the name Mikey. I never resent me on them. No. Well, if you're that passionate about it, Greg, I mean, how could anyone refuse? You know, I told him no.
Oh, really? Yeah, I told him in a very polite way. I said, oh, that's cool. I said, that's a funny name. But we were just doing it that one time just to be funny. Because I did it this one time just to be funny. And he said, there's a long pause. And this is what got me because he was so stern about it. He goes, I think you should keep it, Mikey. Wow. That is stern. He gets very emotional. I got the chills. Yeah. That was his version of hardcore. Oh, yeah. Eddie is our producer and our sports guy and very enthusiastic about the Boston Red Sox. What are you going to do? I mean, I watched the Dodger game, too. That was a great game, too. Dodgers won, right? Dodgers did win. Dodgers won. Was Manny beating Manny? Manny hit a home run. Did you see his home run? Did you happen to see it? It was insane. He golfed it.
out of the park. He's the greatest. What does that mean? If you're talking golf, that is a small ball. That's true, Sean. What does it mean? When you come down here next week, you and me will set aside some time so I can explain to you what small ball is. In your lap. We'll do lapses. In a baby Bjorn. Strap to your chest. When Manny hit that ball out, The pitch, it was like a curveball that just dropped off. Rob is looking at Eddie every two seconds. Well, he's not doing anything. Eddie's just sitting there. No, no, no. It's like you're looking. Wow, Eddie, will you cut the kids some slack? I'm literally just sitting here. He's sitting there. He's not doing his thing. He was talking, so I was letting him. Describe it and I... I know. You rubbed your eye and it threw him off. You rubbed his eye. I got the signal. I got the signal. Stay on first. Stay on first. I can't do anything. You didn't do a thing. You tell me what you want me to do and I'll do it. Eddie, pretend you're a mannequin. Yep. Eddie's from... Okay. You have to be like that? Eddie's in action pose. Eddie's in action pose. Oh, no. Wait a minute. The mannequin just changed. Okay, wait. That was a weird thing for the mannequin to do. What's going on?
Sky is our news girl. Oh, hi. She's 30 years of age, and her husband's name is Bunny Boo. Oh. Yes. Given? Poor guy. Given name. The Boo for short. The Boo. I think we all know that. The Boo. Duh. Sean is our sound effects man. Oh, yeah. His name is Seanathan. Yes. His full name. His full name is Seanathan. Yeah. And we call him Sean. He does our sound effects. He's 38 years of age. And give us an example of what you do, Sean. Yes. Sound effects. Eddie, do you know what Lucas used for the chewy stuff? I do. What do you use? He used a brown bear. Really? Yeah. Check it out. Wow. One more time. That's cool. It's so awesome. Love that sound. I heard one time that, you know where they got the sound effect of the, what do they call them? Lightsaber. The guns. Oh, blasters? Blasters. For the blasters, they went out with a mobile recording unit to guy wires, you know, that go up to, like, radio towers. You know how the big wires hang down? Oh, okay. And they just took, like, a metal stick, and they were just testing things to see what would make a cool sound. They slammed it against it, and it made the sound. Made that sound. They just taped it. And what they did was they electronically intensified it, but it went...
It made that sound, and they electronically intensified it, and it sounds like that. Cool. One more time, Sean. There it is. Oh. Kind of cool. Who knew? It sounds like they just blew somebody the next Wednesday, doesn't it? Well, you know, I mean, if it was a stormtrooper shooting, you would have missed. Yeah. He never hits you. Yeah, they're really bad shots. Horrible shots. They're not good shots. Terrible. Have some sort of, like, course that they would take. Yeah, like a boot camp. Not to mention they're genetically engineered. Ah, good point. Like no range, no blaster range. Dude, I'm standing right here. That's right. How can you miss me? Eddie, what about a crossbow? Would you say Chewbacca is a bowcaster? A bowcaster. Would you say Chewy is about as good as it gets with a bowcaster? Oh, yeah, for sure. I mean, I think Wookiees train extensively with a bowcaster. Ashley, also good at a bowcaster. She can shoot an apple off somebody's head from a mile away with a bowcaster. One of my many skills. That's right.
And she actually has another skill, and that is perfectly dispersed bangs. Thank you. She practices a lot. That's right. I consider myself an expert. Practice makes perfect. You're real tan. Have you been outdoors? Yeah. Well, it's been really hot this week. And on Tuesday, I went on two walk and talks. Skye and I went on about a half hour one. And then I went on an hour and a half walk and talk with my other friends all along the bay. It was like crazy. Like my legs were going to burn by the end of it. How do they feel now? Oh, I'm fine. Oh, really? Oh, yeah. Dude, I would be in the hospital for a month. I love the burn. I love the burn because it means stuff's happening now. You do? Oh, yeah. It makes me like warm. I don't like it. It hurts to me. I like it. Oh, yeah. Sean told me once that until you feel the burn, you're not doing anything. That's very true. Until you start to feel the burn, you're not accomplishing a thing. Yeah. Like you're doing sit-ups or lifts or whatever. Or you're maybe doing it wrong, you know. Wow. You should be always feeling the burn. I don't want to do anything. So I got a lot of outside time. Yeah, look at her. She's all tan. Yeah, so that was nice. Boston Robert. He is our Red Sox fan. And he's got a big smile on his face. He also does Boston Rob's Words of Wisdom. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. If you want to see Boston Rob's Words of Wisdom, just go to MikeyShow.com. This is actual video. It's on YouTube as well. So if you go on YouTube and you search Boston Rob's Words of Wisdom, you can find it there, too.
He's got a lot of wisdom. He's trying to share it. What an honor. I guess what he did was he went through a lot of different mediums and he found the one that he thought worked the best. You can check that out right now. Wonderful. Then there's the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Jr., Esquire, MD, DDS, President and CEO, as seen on TV. That's right. He is. Oh, well, thank you. Call us, won't you? I'm going to clear my throat real quick. Okay, yuck. Ahem. Ahem. Call us, won't you? 570-1053 is the number. And our text number is 35253, and we want to hear from you. And what do we got as a prize to give away today? What do we have? What kind of stuff? do we have that we can give away? We got some delicious air show tickets. Oh, delish. Awesome. Nice. Tasty little Marcel. Yes. A nugget, if you will. Thank you. No. Very cool. Let's see. I'm going to give you a question. I'm going to give you a question. I know it. He hasn't even given the question yet. I'm good at this stuff. I think Eddie knows the answer. He may already know it. He already said it. He knows it. I won't give it away.
The question is, what city is the vice presidential debate tonight? Oh. I know. What city is the vice presidential debate tonight? I think I know. I have no idea. Sean or Rob, you don't know? No. Ash, you think you might know, right? I think I know. Montreal. What's that? Paris. Quebec. I'm watching it, though. See Sarah Palin get destroyed tonight. Oh, really? What? Hey, hey, hey. I love the Republicans. I love the Democrats. You're obviously sexist and a horrible hateful person. I might be, but that broad is dumb. Dude, I want to hear about what other countries she can see from her house.
I want to hear all of it. I'm just going to sit there like a little kid listening to Teddy Roosevelt's fireside chats, and I'm just going to be sitting there staring at the TV like this, like, wow. Mike, that's your boy. Could possibly run the country. That's your boy, Mike. Hey, I like McCain. If that's what you think, you realize she's going up against Joe Biden. Yeah, I don't even know who that is. Right. Can I share with you who it is? Okay. Since Palin can. See Russia from her house, which, by the way, she can. Oh, boy. But, but, hey, hey, listen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can see Palomar Hospital from my house. Hey, listen, Biden. Part of what a leader does is to instill confidence is demonstrate that he or she knows what they're talking about and communicates to people. If you listen to me and follow what I'm suggesting, we can fix this. When a stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, look, here's what happened. Except that Roosevelt wasn't president during that period of time. Teddy Roosevelt? Yeah, he wasn't. And not only that, the TV wasn't invented back then, Mr. Biden. It was on the radio and it was Hoover. But hey, you're brilliant, Biden. Go for it. You're brilliant. That's going to be a stupid off tonight. Let me tell you something. That's my favorite thing to watch. 5701053, let me tell you. There is a...
Pretty good campaign going on in the media to paint Palin as a dumbo. I think it's working. It is. It is. It totally is. It is. 100%. It is. Now, what's really cool is that if you wanted to, you could make anybody look dumb. I just made Biden look dumb, but I don't think Biden's dumb. I don't think he's a stupid person. I can so relate to that. I really can. I think Biden's probably a pretty articulate and intelligent and intellectual guy. Now, didn't yesterday Sky and Sean say that that's not the case, that the media is not painting Palin in this light? Oh, well, I think if you get a tidbit from anybody, like the clip Mike played of Biden or the clips we played yesterday or the new clips we have to play today of Sarah Palin sounding dumb, that... They go after everybody. Nobody's immune to it. If you give them a morsel, they're going to run with it. In that particular clip, he wasn't being asked a question to make him look dumb. And Sarah Palin is. She's being asked questions that are, oh boy, I've got to think of specifics here. Of things she reads. That was something that he said that made him look dumb that just came out of his own head.
Yeah, today's what what Sky's talking about today. Sarah Palin. Let me play you what Sarah Palin was asked. What other Supreme Court decisions do you disagree with? Well, let's see. There's, of course, in the great history of America, there have been rulings that there's never going to be absolute consensus by every American. There are those issues, again, like Roe v. Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So, you know, going through the history of... Quit running from it is what I say. Just say it. I don't know. I don't know. It's honest. But follow it up with, and you want to know something? I think I can run our country because I've done it. I've shown a history. You've done what? I'll tell you. You could have asked her before she ran for governor. to give some examples of some state court rulings. And she'd probably go, I don't know. But that doesn't mean she doesn't know how to run a government. I mean, listen, there's always going to be examples of what I don't know. I mean, Skye, in my job. Be an example of what you do know. Well, hang on. Well, no, not if I'm asking you questions that are going to lead to that. I think, and I mean this, I think that you are awesome at what you do.
I think you're one of the best, actually. I don't know if I've ever said that, but I do think... Oh, are you talking to me? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought he was, like, pretending like he was talking to Sarah Palin. No, I've told you. I've told you on and off the air, I think that you're one of the best at what you do, and I really do. Thank you. I think I do a pretty decent job. I know that if somebody wanted to, though, before they interviewed me or before they interviewed Sky, they can come up with questions that, quote-unquote, Any news girl should know. Any host of a show should know. Yeah, we do it every Monday with her. Now, does that mean that she's not good at doing what she does? No, because she's actually awesome at doing what she does. And I'm not going to say that about me, but I have a... It's true. You're awesome. I have a certain pinoche. Oh, pinoche. You know, and it's just one of those deals where I, and you can disagree, I personally think that the Palin stuff is questions that are pretty rough, personally. Look, let me tell you about some Supreme Court rulings. Let's just take Supreme Court rulings from this current term. As you look at them and you start rolling through them, I got them up on my computer.
They're very, very, very random. Most of them. But listen, maybe there are some people that can rattle some of these off. Jones versus Flowers, of course. Hartman versus Moore. Marshall versus Marshall. Holmes versus South Carolina. Now there are some of these. Kramer versus Kramer. Kramer versus Kramer. I mean, that's obviously the most famous. She should have answered that. She should have. I would have respected that answer. How about if she would have said Kramer versus Kramer? We'll say Kramer versus Kramer. Would have totally desensitized the situation. That's funny. 570-1053. Call us. Call us. Call us. And our text number, 35253. It's supposed to get cooler here, which is probably good because yesterday was hot. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hello, July. Yeah, and there was some moisture in the air, too, so it was kind of humid. Yeah. What are they saying, though, Sky? When is it coming?
Well, they say the cool down will start today. And then by the weekend, we could be like 20 to even 30 degrees lower than it was the last couple days. Yeah. It's actually going to be like normal October weather and maybe even a little bit cooler than normal October weather. Really? P1 Dan. Oh, no. Dan, where'd you go? Dan. Oh, no. Dan had the answer to the question. Dan. The question was, and we got rid of all the other ones because we had a correct one on the line. Question was, where are the vice presidential debates tonight? Somebody will call us and tell us. So, yeah, tonight's a big night. There's baseball going on. It just struck me the other day. Today is October 2nd, and we are going to be electing a new president in four weeks. Because mentally, in my mind, it's been... Oh, yeah, that's a ways away. Yeah, right? Oh, that's, you know, we'll be doing that in a long time. It does seem like it's not happening next month. It's not a trip. It's weird. It's like right around the corner. I think because we've been talking about it all year long. Yeah. That it's like, oh, yeah, it's actually here. I'll give you another crazy mind spring. Uh-oh. Week from today, we'll be on the air for over 24 hours. Oh, wow. One week from this moment.
Skye just looked at Eddie and gave him... I didn't need that. I love it. I love it. I mean, I was in a great mood. We'd be in the home stretch. She gave Eddie the... She gave Eddie the ice. How dare you salute. This is the point where we're all, like, wasted. We're so delusional. Oh, yeah. We're gone. We're, like, hallucinating. A bit punchy. Oh, it's funny. It's, like, the best time to listen. This is the time every year that Mike starts talking to us if people would really get mad if we just went home and just did 24 hours. He starts to try and justify it. I start to try to justify leaving right now. Oh, that's great. Yeah. Fumes. That's what this time is all about. Fumes. We're just trying to get through the last four hours. Oh, yeah. P1 Jose. Yes. Jose, where are the vice presidential debates tonight? St. Louis, Missouri. You are correct. You are correct. And you win a prize. I forgot what it was already. Airshow tickets. Airshow tickets. There you go. Awesome. Hang on, dude.
Now, if I think that the media is loading questions up for Sarah Palin, what do you think will happen tonight? We'll see. We'll see. I'll be really interested to see if any of those questions are loaded up tonight. Do we know what time? I haven't done any. I haven't checked anything, so I don't really know. Let's see. I think it is. Let's see. The USA Today is saying it's 9 to 11, but that might be just East Coast. I think it starts at 6, our time. 6 o'clock. Okay. Nice. Because the primetime schedule is kind of jacked tonight because of it. I think 8 o'clock shows are still happening, but then anything after 8 is not on. So if you're used to Grey's Anatomy or The Office, that's all preempted. Do we know? tape delay, the debates, or if they're live. I believe they're live. So people on the East Coast are having to watch debates at 9 o'clock at night? Yeah. That's so crazy. It's crazy to me that people are watching football games on Monday night at 11.45 at night. That's crazy! You know, you gotta think about the game last night for Boston fans. I mean, it started at 10 o'clock at night for them. Yeah.
Yeah, dude. Insane. Yeah, the East Coast really gets jacked over when it comes to sports because whenever they're playing a West Coast team on the West Coast, you know, like Eddie said, games start at like 10 o'clock at night. Isn't that crazy? Yeah. Can you imagine that? It's weird, though, because when I moved out here, like Sunday night football, Monday night football, I wasn't used to it wrapping up until 1 in the morning, you know? Yeah. And now I come out here and it's like I watch everything so much. You got to like it more, though, right? Oh, yeah. It's totally different. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, you got to like that more. 570-1053 is the phone number. Our text number, 35253. Give us a call. We'll line you up on the phone lines. We'll talk to you about whatever's going on in your life, whatever's happening. Let's talk. Pick it up, Mr. Rocket. Now, hit it. A week from today, we will have been on the air for 24 and a half hours. We're going to do something today called Tone Deaf Karaoke. We got a great bus today. It was so great. All of you. Ashley will be doing another eating competition today. And we've already decided that it's going to be Whoppers, right? And I don't mean Whoppers from Burger King. Oh, that'd be good, though. I'm on my desk right next to my typewriter. I have the oldest typewriter in the entire world, typed in pencil.
Under my bed, I have a shoebox full of telephone rings. And whenever I get home, I open it up just a little bit and I get a call. One time I dropped the box all over the floor and the phone wouldn't stop ringing. So I had to have it disconnected. I got another phone, though I didn't have much money. So I had to get an irregular phone. It had no five on it. I was walking down the street. I bumped into a good friend of mine. He said, how come you never call me anymore? I said, I can't call everyone I want. My phone has no five on it. He said, that's really weird. How long have you had it? I said, I don't know. My calendar has no sevens. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. Rock 105.3 Musicians, the simple fact is price is most important when it comes to buying gear. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Not a bad ride right now. We've got the usual stuff pretty much in the usual places to expect here. The South 15 is starting to jam up pretty good there. We're out of Escondido off the 78 down at Via Rancho Parkway off and on. No worries down the coastline. South 5 looking fine. The East County community is looking pretty good as well. Maybe a minor delay developing coming up the hill out of Santee on that West 52, but not too bad quite yet. North 805, though, is starting to see a backup here as you come in towards Imperial Avenue. and then stay slow up to the 15 connector before you back up to speed there. The border waits for an hour and a half at San Isidro. Getting into the U.S., I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. The Mikey Show continues with Mikey. Football helps me to forget any problem in my life. Okay, local boy Cole Hamels throws eight shutout innings to lead the Phillies to a 1-0 lead over Milwaukee and winning 3-1. Hamels talks about his performance. Just where we were, I knew the importance of the game, and that was something where, you know, because of last year, you know, learned what it really takes and trying to, you know, be kind of mellow out, you know, not have that sort of excitement where you can't really control everything. And that was something where, you know, just going out there and relaxing and just being able to pitch. And throw strikes. I think, you know, with the type of team that Milwaukee brings, you know, they're very aggressive but also, you know, very good. And so I just had to really establish the first pitch strike just so I can get ahead of them and then try to slow them down. And that was what I was able to do and have success at it. That guy's from here? Yeah, Rancho Bernardo High School. No way. That's awesome. That's probably why he's, you know, he's doing so good. Probably why. From San Diego. For sure. San Diego guys, you know, they tend to do pretty good. The best. Let's see. Oh, the phone number. Yeah, that's 570-1053. And you can call us and say hi. In fact, I would love it if you called and said hi. Said what's going on in your life, what you're doing. Questions for us. In fact, you know what I was thinking about? Eddie brought it up exactly one week from today. We're going to be pretty tired right about now. But I would love to hear from people.
who have heard the 28-hour show before that can tell new listeners that are listening right now what their favorite parts of the 28-hour show have been and why they should listen to the 28-hour show. Because one of the things that I find is we have gone to radio conferences before where we've sort of told other shows that we do this. And they're always like, either through their questions or through the looks on their faces, like, I don't get why that's cool. And a lot of times it's really hard to kind of get why that's cool. I'm telling you, this is the most special thing we do. And it, this year, out of every other year that we've ever done it, this year is going to be the biggest and the best that we've ever done ever. Yeah, I like when you say, It turns into Woodstock outside. Because it's true. People show up and they just want to be a part of it because it is that special. And it's something that is not done on radio anywhere. Yeah. It turns into Mikey Palooza Outdoors. I love it. And Mikey Palooza 08 is going to be probably the biggest. It's gigantic outside. I cannot wait. Jay's building.
Our guy, Jay, is going to be building a fire pit for people to be able to cook. So awesome. This is going to be so much fun. It's going to be great. And so, yeah, call us right now, 570-1053, and tell us what is it that happened on the 28-hour show in the past that has really fired you up? My favorite thing is just the unexpected. I mean, crazy things just happen on the 28-hour show. Oh, yeah. It's so cool, dude. So many weird stuff. So many weird things have happened. What was that? I was trying to figure out what you were doing. I was cutting and pasting. 570-1053. Call us right now. P1 Brew, are you there? Brew, what have you loved about past 28-hour shows? Pretty much everything, but the best part is the next day when you guys have already been on for 24 hours. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. And listening to how delirious you guys are. What do you mean? Right? Oh, yeah. Listening to Ashley yells, shut up to Boston Rock. That's right. I forgot about that. Isn't that awesome? And that demonic voice. Yeah.
I remember because I couldn't I could not stay awake. I like my eyes would not let me keep them open. So I was pacing around my studio standing up and I was holding myself up and I literally fell asleep standing up and then woke up to Rob like staring at me and I was just like over it. That's so funny. And I see now I think that Ashley was doing too much caffeine. Probably. Because when you drink too much caffeine, we learn, man, the first couple. Just leave the caffeine out of it. Everything I get now is caffeine-free that I drink because you get so wired. Go ahead, Ash. I have the clip if you want to play it. Oh, yeah. It's hysterical. It's in light yellow. It's hysterical. Ashley yells at Rob. Here we go. Happy Halloween. Look at yourself in the mirror. I like what I said. Shut up. You tell him, Ashley. Sideshow Bob over here is telling me I was like a Halloween pumpkin. Did you just call him Sideshow Bob? Yeah. Ash, did you just call him Sideshow Bob on that clip? Fantastic. Oh, yeah, I did. Shut up. You haven't washed your hair in two weeks, and it's in a not- Hey, uh, will you guys- Fan's damn ponytail. Letter, letter. And it looks retarded. I understand.
This is a lady that was sleep-deprived. She was sleep-deprived. She was a bit sleep-deprived. I'm not in the mood! There it is. P1 Rubber Duck. Hey, what's up, man? It's hilarious. I can't really pinpoint what my favorite part of the 28-hour show is, but... Just the fact, dude, that you guys are on after 1030. I mean, we work eight hours a day, but you guys, just the fact that you guys are working beyond that, that's awesome, dude. I mean, we really love that. We really enjoy that. That's the thing. Like, for P1s that, you know, we usually sign off the air here about 1030, somewhere around in there on a daily basis. So for a lot of P1s, they don't get to enjoy us past that.
And so it's kind of cool for people to be working and still be able to listen to their favorite morning show throughout the day. Yeah, you drive into work listening to us and then you drive home from work listening to us. Yeah, it's pretty cool. Hey, do you know, P1 Rubber Duck, do you know about the movies and how we do that? Oh, yeah, dude. I mean, late at night, right? We do it late at night. We do something very similar to the TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000, which is where we watch an old cheesy movie. And we just sit there and make fun of it. And we tell you what movie we're going to get way ahead of time so that you can watch it with us and sync up your DVD with our DVD and watch it home and listen on the radio. Rocky 3, baby. Rocky 3 this year. Yes. Rocky 3 starting at 10 o'clock at night. And then after that, Titanic. So awesome. And this year's extra cool with the movies because there's going to be Mikey stock going on outside and you can watch it with everyone. Yeah, yeah. They're going to have a screen out there. A projector. Yep. All right, dude. Thank you, man. All right, man. It's funny. We've been doing it so many years that the 28-hour show has become an institution. It's for real. I mean, we can't not do it now. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Oh, there is no way. P1 Roach. Yeah, Mike. What's up, dude?
Not a whole lot. You guys were just talking about the movies. Honestly, my favorite part is after those movies. Between 2 and, like, 6 o'clock in the morning, you guys are punchy. Oh, yeah. It's hilarious. Between 2 and 6 is the roughest time for me. Oh, yeah. So hard. It's really hard, man. There's normally a Hall of Notes sing-along, so everybody brush up. Oh, you need to fire it up. Yeah, everybody brush up on your materials. That's when Eddie takes control of the whole station and just... What other Supreme Court decision? Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, Katie Couric, we're in the middle of something. Katie, who was that? Hang on a second. She likes all notes, too. Katie Couric. She wants to jump right in. Who can blame her, right? Yeah, that's a good point. Let's see. P1 Seanaphobe is on the line. Hey, Seanaphobe, are you there? I am here, guys. Go ahead. Yeah, my favorite part of the 28-hour show is at night when you guys do the Mikey Show karaoke. Yeah. Mikey Show Idol. Yeah, Mikey Show Idol. Yeah. I don't remember what song you did, Mikey. It was the year that Rob did Dean Martin's How Lucky Can One Guy, or Ain't Love a Kiss in the Head. Yeah, talk about it, dude. Yeah, the song that you did that year, Mikey, was, I mean, you should have recorded it. Journey, I think it was Journey.
Well, Journey, you did good. And then you also did Neil Diamond, which kind of had like an impression built into it as well as vocal goodies. I don't remember when it was, but let me tell you something, man. This year's Mikey Idol. Wow. This year's Mikey Idol is the first ever outdoor, on a stage, blown up, lights, huge. Bigger than you can imagine. Oh, yeah. I have a rehearsal planned. today after the show for Mikey Idol. Me too. I do too. I had a rehearsal yesterday. Oh, did you? Yeah. This is going to be my first rehearsal. Yeah, I'm not in the competition. I'm just going to do a special performance. He's the mentor. Yeah, I'm the mentor. You're this week's mentor. That's right. I'm this week's mentor. I'll do everything I can to be there. Oh, dude. You don't want to miss this. You've got to be here. It's going to be a train wreck. Wait a second now. In a good way. Now, hold on. Now, hold on. Hey, P1 Leonidas. Hey, what's cracking, guys? Good morning. What's going on, dude? Hey, I love it so much. Just the history of it. I mean, to tell and to put it in a nutshell to the new P1s, I mean, it's the greatest reality radio ever. That is true. That is true, man. I mean, you guys get so personable. You really get to know each and every character and individual on the radio.
the unexpected in-studio visits, the phone calls, what you guys are really like. I mean, it's just the greatest. It's fun. I mean, sometimes when you get off the radio, it's like a kick to the crotch, especially when you're having a bad day. That's awesome, dude. That is awesome. Yeah. I mean, expect the unexpected. That's right. I've heard that. That's right. Hey, Leonidas. Leonidas, I'm going to pull the curtain back right now, okay? I'm going to pull the curtain back. Uh-oh, there goes the curtain. It's kind of like when a... And he puts up clothes on. It's kind of like when a rock band is on stage and they're about to start the performance, you know, and they go, I just want to let you guys know we're recording a live album here tonight. You know, and they do that and everybody freaks out. I just want to let you know that right now, as we're talking about the 28-hour show... We are recording you guys that call in and we're going to use you on a real promo that we make for the 28 hour show. And I just want to let you know, Leonidas, you were just such a you just gave such a great testimonial to the 28 hour show. You are going to be on that live album slash promo that we build.
from what you just said. That was great, man. Yeah, that's cool. Oh, that's nice. Hey, but it's well-deserved. You guys have earned it. You guys are the greatest, and that's why you have such a huge fan base because of what you guys are and what you guys do. That's awesome. I want to have your baby. That would be on the promo. That would be on the promo. That would be on the promo. I got excited. Ladies and gentlemen, Hall of Famer P1 T-Rex is on the line. Oh, T-Money. Yeah, that's my boy. T-Rex, what did you love? Hey, this isn't P-Rex. This is P1 Mustang. How's it going, guys? Oh, sorry about that. Go ahead, Mustang. Hey, my favorite part of the 20-hour show was when you guys started revealing stuff about yourselves, and specifically last year when Sean revealed himself as a furry. Oh, I don't remember that. I don't know anything about that. What happened? Sean announced it.
Sean announced that he's a furry, which for those of you that don't know, it's like a mascot. It's like a mascot at a football game. Isn't that like a sexual perversion thing? No, actually it's not. Freak of nature mascot. It's a sexual... fur version. It has nothing to do with sexuality. What do they do, like rub up against each other or something weird? No. It's like a mascot from a football game, but they're not at a football game. They're at a rave on a lot of ecstasy. That's true. So that's more what it's like. That's not the case. It's more like a family convention. How dare you? Don't allow him to say that. Don't allow him to say that. Alright folks, this is T-Rex. Oh, there he is. Hey, can you hear me? I can hear you. There he is. I'm not on my Bluetooth, so I hope you guys can hear me okay. Bluetooth. Yeah, really. I wanted to say I love when you guys have a true validation. You guys tell stories, and then you have the true validations coming upon. Hey, this is actually true. When Sky's mom came in, the whole Sunburn story, that was awesome. That was pretty awesome. And it's true. It's true. Everything was true.
That's right. Who would make that up? Like, who would want that rap if it wasn't true? It was fantastic, yeah. Sky's mom calling in and telling us some behind-the-scenes stuff. Wait, that was you, T-Rex. T-Rex, yeah, wasn't that furry you? I think, I'm not sure. It could have been a real panda. And that right there is why I hate this man. Oh, Sean. But you're really turned on, though, at the same time. Not really. Not at all, in fact. P1 Jennifer? Yes. How are you? I'm doing all right. Hey, I just want to tell you guys, I love the 28-hour show, and I crack up so hard. My work pretty much almost sends me home every time. Really? It is like I'm sitting here grabbing tissues, trying not to ball. I'm sitting at my desk, and they're just thinking, this psycho. I heard us cracking up or crying. They don't know which one it is. Oh, my God. Do you have a cubicle? Well, not even that. Just like a small little area. And we're like back to back. That's awesome. We're going to have a mental breakdown that day or something. That's cool. Now, don't forget the...
You know, there's a couple of reasons that we do this. First and foremost, we do it for Children's Hospital because last year we were able to raise $14,000 for Children's Hospital. And this year we're going to hope to raise even more money for Children's Hospital. We're going to make it real easy for you to make donations. And we're going to do that on our website. And then we also want to expose other people to the Mikey Show that don't normally get to hear us. So, Jennifer, make sure you're doing your part to spread the word and tell people to be listening to the Mikey Show, all right? Awesome. I just have a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, so I'll definitely be a part of that. Very cool. All right. Thanks so much. Thanks, Rob. Mike, if the 28-hour show was a person, it'd be Will Smith because everybody loves Will Smith. Hmm. I like it. thought long and hard about that, Mike. I have a question. Was that Rob trying to make... Yes, Rob's trying to make it into the promo. That was a lame attempt. Rob, do you have any other thing that we might be able to get cleanly that we could use in that promo that you think makes it sound real cool? The Red Sox are my favorite team. That has nothing to do with the 28-hour show. Oh, the 28-hour show. Wow. Maybe the 28-hour show was a team.

Pet Shop Boys are one of my favorite groups. Boston Rock. I wish I was smarter so I could fight this better. And Ashley. I am a very, very twitchy person, and I feel like it's because I have ADD. The Mikey Show is on. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's The Mikey Show. It is 7 o'clock. Tonight will be the first and only debate between the vice presidential candidates. Former NFL running back Travis Henry was arrested after a big cocaine bust. No way. What were the circumstances? He was buying cocaine from, like, a federal agent. No way. Oh, man. Let's see. 570-1053 is the phone number. You will need it if you would like to do this.
Here's how tone-deaf karaoke works. You call us, 5701053, and you're going to hear a clip of Ashley singing. And your job will be to tell us what it is that she's singing. Now, I know that you say, well, how hard could that be? I mean, especially if the songs are popular. And let me remind you, the songs are not only popular. They were big hits usually. Yeah, well known. You know, very well known. But sometimes it's hard to identify them just by the sound. Okay. Gorgeous. That's amazing. That's amazing. That is just simply the best. It is. Simply the best. And so what you do is you call and we'll play a clip just like that. You've got to tell us what it is. And I don't need you to say, it was this band and here's the song. All you've got to give me is something. Just identify that song in some way and you're a winner.
We make it really easy for you to win because we want you to get a prize. It's not easy. So that's how we do that. It's not easy. Not easy at all. P1 Nash, are you there? Yeah, what's going on, Mikey Show? Not too much, dude. How are you? Getting in there. About to walk into court right now, as a matter of fact. Oh, really? Yeah. What are you going to court for? Driving out your suspension. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Yeah. How'd you get to the courthouse? I had to drive. Oh, wow. What up? That's pretty crazy. Yeah, the irony. All right. Here's what we're going to do. I am going to play a clip, and when it's done, let the whole thing play, by the way. When it's done, just identify title or artist, and you win. And the prize, Eddie, what? Mirror Mirror Show tickets. There you go. Are you ready, Nash? I'm ready. Here we go. I'm glad to have my... Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Ashley's really proud of that one. That was... Flawless, right? Flawless. Oh, my gosh. Wow. Wow. I'm inspired. It's like a party in here. Thank you. P1 Nash, can you give me title or artist on that? No, I can't. Oh, wow. Hey, Sean, how about you? Do you know what that was? I will not say. He does, though, because he does, though, because I killed it. Yeah, it was Dead or Alive. You spin me around like a record. No, it was not. It was, Sean. That was a special dedication to you. Come on.
Sounded just like that, right? I think they could probably harmonize. Okay. Wow. Simply the best. P1 Hall of Famer. P1 Spaceboy. We are honored. That is right. How are you, Spaceboy? That's right. It's a great batch. It's a great batch. Now, this one's going to be tough. This one's going to be tough. But I want you to listen closely here, Space Boy. All right, let's do it. Listen closely and give me title artist to win. Here we go. I mean, she held the note the entire time. Yes. That one note. That one note was held the entire time. That was my innocent tone. Was it? Yeah. So sweet. So sweet and innocent. P1 Space Boy, any idea? I'm going to go with Savage Garden. You are correct. Oh, wow. What the?
You're a good man. He nailed it. He nailed it. That's a Hall of Famer for you. That's right. That's a Hall of Famer on the line. She speaks Ashley. That's right. Called a shot. Nailed it right out into the bleachers. Oh, this song is so good. I actually like Ashley better. Space Boy, you're going to the air show. Hang on the line, will you? Thanks, man. All right. Next up, P10 side. How are you? Pretty good. How are you guys doing? I'm doing good, dude. Are you ready to try to tell us what Ashley is singing? I'm ready to try. All right. Here we go.
Well, the good news is we found our auctioneer. Oh, no. Wow. Oh, no. Hey, Oside, you need a title or artist on that one? I got nothing. I can't tell you. Dude, believe it or not, that was 311. Yeah, he does. Well, so did you. I mean, you did a phenomenal job. He hit the plate on this one. No. We have a new folk group. Sold. That's right. Sold. Nice. Oof.
Let's try one last contestant. Let's just see if we can get one last contestant on. I love it. Hey, P1 Melanie. Good morning, guys. How you doing? All right, waiting for school to start. All right, well, let's do this. I'm going to play a clip. When it's all done, you give me a title artist and you win, okay? All right. Here we go. Lost the note a little at the end. Lost the note. Was that not so good, though? Right at the end, though, Ash. I don't know. Like, this is a great batch today. P1 Melanie, can you give me a title or artist? I had to put the phone away from my ear for a second, so I'm just going to give it a shot. Something with no doubt. That is not right. No, it was the Scorpions, actually.
This is my tongue. This is my tongue. This is your tongue? Yeah, I can do this. I can do this. I don't think so. Quick time out. Well, that went well. Yeah, that was, I am, let me tell you. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. Give us a call right now. Our text number is 35253. Back after this. On the rock. I think we need to change the name of our band. What's wrong with Black Angus? It's a great name for a Scottish death metal bagpipe band. But Carl's Jr. is selling $6 burgers made with Black Angus beef. Well, fine. What do you want to call the band? How about hairy naked legs and bagpipes? Well, it's not as good as Black Angus, but it does have a ring to it. One, two, three, four. $6 burgers made with 100% Black Angus beef. Only at Carl's Jr.

I realized at 3 o'clock in the morning I was taking my medication, and I realized I had one pill left.
Of one of my medications. So I'm calling the automated pharmacy thing. Naked Indian style in the bathroom. At 3.30 this morning. Ordering new medications. Why are you Indian style? I didn't know where to sit. I'll tell you why. We have a rug. We have a big rug in the bathroom. And I didn't want to sit on the cold pile. Because it would be too cold for my bum. And he just finished his morning cry. I don't think that's the version of Slow Ride that I wanted. That's Bonnie Raitt and Slow Ride, and I think I wanted this. You didn't want the Bonnie Raitt version? Who knows? Anything other but the Bonnie Raitt. I know there's so many listeners right now, they're confused. They're like, this doesn't sound like Bonnie's version. What the heck? What is this all about? Welcome back. 7-15. Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo were spotted ring shopping in Dallas. Manny is being Manny. He hit his 25th postseason home run, leading the Dodgers to a 7-2 win over Chicago. Manny didn't have a problem speaking in the third person. He's all right with it. He says, I'll do it. He's the best. It stings. Eddie's going to high-five Rob, but Rob's not giving him the high-five back.
from. Well, a lot of things. We're all friends with Manny. Manny is no longer a Boston Red Sox, so I guess that... Oh, so then all of a sudden you're not a fan anymore? Yeah, is that the deal? That's weird. Yeah, there's a high five again. Rob's still not going for it. Did you hear any of the press conferences he had right after? He was a jerk about it. Money hungry jerk. Oh, here we go. Wasn't his choice to get traded? Yeah, it was. What? Yeah. Come on. He's been begging for it. And then he gets to LA and he's like... Oh, I hope I finish my career here. Oh, I love LA so much. Well, that's Adam Sandler's imitation of what Manny said when he got to LA. I have a question. What? Does anybody remember, as a kid, getting to ride on Dad's lap in the car? While he's driving? While he's driving. Oh, sure. Oh, sure. Oh, sure. For me, it was at the dump. My dad had this old truck. It was like an old Chevy, you know? Like the standard transmission where you'd change the gears from a big stick that stuck out of the steering wheel. Three on the tree. That's right, dude. Three on the tree. And I would sit on my dad's lap. I would be on his left leg holding onto the steering wheel and his hands like right.
Above my steering wheel. Never. I mean, that was one. That was one of the closest bonding feelings sitting on your daddy's lap while he's driving. Right hand, by the way. Coors original. Coors original. Oh, my dad. Coors original. It's the most ridiculous. Thinking back on it now. Thinking back on it now. I'm like, yeah, out at the dump. You know, he obviously he wouldn't drink it on the way because that would be wrong. But in 1977, once you got to the dump, that's when you open up a six-pack of Coors Original. Once the baby's driving, then it's time to drink. Well, yeah, he's got a driver now. Now he's got a DD. But it was the kind where you put your index finger underneath the little lip of the thing and you pulled the thing back. The pull tab. The pull tab. Wow. But anyway, that was a very fond memory. Now, obviously, I would never say if I do that or not. I just want to say that. I would never say whether I'd do that or not. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I would never say, no, I'm not saying either way because if I meant to say one way, I would just say it like that. Now, I don't drink anymore. Yeah, I thought you were sober. Yeah, I am sober. You shouldn't be driving around with a Coors. Well, I wouldn't. Where are you getting the pull tabs? Well, there's no alcohol in Coors. That's true. I've heard that. I wouldn't and I don't. I don't drink. But if I were to do that,
That would be a bonding experience between. So you're not confirming or denying. No, no, no, I'm not. Now, sure. I will tell you this. I will tell you this. That if I were to do that, it would only be on our block, you know, like around the block. Hypothetically speaking. Hypothetically speaking, if I were to ever do something like that. That's interesting. And. So hypothetically speaking, I would say that I would assume that the guys would relate to that because, Eddie, did you ever sit on your dad's lap? Yeah, we would go out to, like, the country roads, and my dad would do that. Yeah. Why wouldn't you do it anywhere else? Why the country roads? Because it was safer, I guess. There was less to hit. It was safer. I mean, he'd full-on let me steer. Yeah. I would, too, if I would let my son steer. Wow. Your two-year-old son. My two-year-old son. If. If. If. If. Oh, good. And I bet, hypothetically, it would thrill and delight my son to the nth degree, and there would be nothing more that delights him. In fact, I bet that if I did that, my son would probably say something like, drive daddy's car. Drive daddy's car. Drive daddy's car.
Okay. Allegedly. Almost every time he sees me, he would say, drive Daddy's car, drive Daddy's car. I am nervous. And I would assume that a lot of guys would get that and that a lot of gals would not get that. I do not get that. Britney Spears would get it. Yeah, Britney Spears would definitely get what you're saying. Oh, yeah. Well, now, see, Britney Spears, we must remember, was on a highway. She was on the PCH, the Pacific Coast Highway. And, you know, she was fleeing from paparazzos. Paparazzi are awful. That's right. And I would think that that would be dangerous. But I don't know. I'm wondering what people's takes are on that. 570-1053. Sky, you're very against it. Yes. Hypothetically. Hypothetically. How fast would you go around the block? That's a good question. 10 miles an hour. 10, 15 miles an hour. Crank it up, man. Unless, Eddie, unless there was some sort of area where there is nobody around. Yeah, talk about it, dude. Crank it up. And you're out by a nature preserve, and then to thrill and delight your child, perhaps you could give a little rev. Yeah.
Which I just, knowing my boy, I know he would giggle. I know he would giggle. Yeah, he giggles at Thomas the Train. And it would probably be a memory as fond as my own, you know? Well, I mean, hypothetically, would the child ask you to go faster? Hypothetically, he would say, Daddy, go fast. But I thought hypothetically. It's funny because he can't really say the word fast, so he says, Daddy, go fat. He would say, Daddy goes fat. Hypothetically, he would say, Daddy goes fat. Hypothetically speaking, I know a gentleman who has a son around the same age, Mike, and he claims that that son shouldn't go to Disneyland or the pumpkin patch because he doesn't understand and won't remember. But then hypothetically, the same guy says that they're creating some great memories by hypothetically driving cars. Well, one, I've actually, I would have, you know what? You're right. Oh, man. Sky. So true. Hypothetically, I'm right. Yes. Well, wait. The reason that you're right is because the reason that you're right is because if we're speaking hypothetically.
I don't know if I've actually experienced him enjoying it. I don't know. It's just a thought that maybe he would. And so why go there if I don't even know? Oh, I see. I don't even know. I see. You know what I mean? Like I can't even. Fascinating. You can talk about hypothetically you've been to, you know, Disneyland with your son as well. Right. Right. Hypothetically. I mean, hypothetically. Or hypothetically not. He could have liked it or he could have not. Okay. Hypothetically. Okay. Hypothetical world is crazy. It is. P1HB. Hey, my dad did the same thing with me and we were on the road that's basically on the cliff going to Monterey Bay. Oh, good. Safe. Wow. My mom and sister weren't too happy about me being on his lap driving. Yeah. I had a blast. Yeah. Well, thank you very much. Awesome. Thank you very much. She didn't say that she was 22 at the time. Yes. Yes. Is this a guy thing? I think it may be. Sky, did your dad ever take you on his lap and have you pretend to steer? No, it was normally my mom, and it was when I was older. 17. Hello. No, no, no, no. 28. I was older. Yesterday. Maybe like... Whenever I had a sunburn.
Maybe like 10, but I didn't get on her lap. She just would let me steer from the passenger seat. And it was only on our street. And it was only on our street. Only with my left hand. And I had to close my eyes and take a sip of a beer. Like, what? Okay. I'm just 10 years old. I'm on my street. I'm not a baby behind the wheel, okay? Babies are safer. You want to talk about dangerous? Hey, I was like six years old. And, you know, I've grown up. I grew up in a construction company. That's all my dad did. So I grew up driving all the heavy equipment. And my dad had me on the backhoe. And he's, you know, let me steer. Let me kind of control everything. And the fumes got so powerful. Like the diesel. It made me pass out. He didn't realize it. What? Because we were on a job site. So he was, you know, kind of telling his guys whatever and didn't realize we were veering right towards this lady's tree. This is a crazy story. And almost wiped it out. And I was just, like, fell back into his lap, just completely nodded off. He thought I was just sitting back. And I was out like a light. That is a great story. That is dangerous. Wow.
Let's see. P1 Nick, are you there? Explains a lot. What's going on? I have a three-year-old boy, and we drive around our cul-de-sac all the time, and he loves it. Oh, I bet they would love it. I say I bet. And what does your wife think of that? She's inside, so she doesn't really know about it. I also do a paper route in the morning. Sometimes I take my eight-year-old daughter. And I ask her all the time, hey, do you want to drive? No, don't want to drive. So it's definitely a guy thing. Listen, I think it's cute. I mean, I think it's so sweet and so dang cute. It's not like you're not in control. Yeah. And I did it when I was a kid, and my dad had that beer with him as well. Oh, my God. Wow. I'll tell you. I'll tell you. Now, as crazy as it sounds, I would not advocate doing that, obviously, on a big, you know, busy. place. Street or freeway. Freeway or street, you know. But around the block, yeah, you know. No, Mike. I used to think it was really cool when my dad would let me back up our truck. Yeah. Obviously, I was a little bit older. I was like 11 or 12. Right. But he'd let me back up the truck so that he could hook up the trailer. Really? Things like that. Dude, that was so awesome. Yeah. I felt like such an adult.
Dude, I'm telling you, man, they really, kids really love it. Yeah. Kids really, this will all go into my. Well, there's lots of stuff kids love, but we don't give it to them. Like what? Cocaine. Like heroin. Cocaine. All right. They love it. So now do you. Now, Skye. You must not be around kids very often. I'm not. No. Now, Sky, don't you think there's a little bit of a difference between the boy on the lap and giving your kid heroin? Well, yeah. Obviously, I'm joking. But, you know, we do things every day. You have to tell kids no, like on a daily basis. Because, you know, left to their own devices, who knows? You know, they'd eat Lucky Charms around the clock. That's true. Hey, listen. This could be, I mean, if I did decide to do this. Hypothetically. It could become like a gateway fun thing. And before I know it, it could be. taking, you know, land movers. I'm just saying it's dangerous. It would start with the car. It could move on to other things. P1 locator. Hey, sorry, first time caller? It's all right, man. Go ahead. Anyway, I don't remember going to the pumpkin patches. I don't remember, you know, picking out Christmas trees and stuff with my friends, but I do remember sitting on my dad's left in the Target parking lot near Mesa and driving his car through the parking lot. There is something so...
cool about it for a little boy oh yeah i loved it a couple times i wasn't you know two but uh i definitely wasn't of age i was probably about six six years old something like that i think that we should uh i think that we should really kind of take that thing and and say man it really does create a bonding thing between a boy and his dad. You know what I mean? Absolutely. Really is a bonding thing between. Even though I think it's dangerous, I don't doubt that fact. Yeah. It's a bonding moment. It's a bonding moment. Yeah. What if we were to have like a bonding moment here on the show? What do you mean? What if we were to bond a couple people here on the show? As long as I'm not one of those people. Well, I don't know. I just think that it might be fun to have, you know, Boston Rob. Bond with Eddie, and maybe Eddie could take his little guy on a little ride, and we'll see. We'll test it. I do the sky thing. I sit in the shotgun, and he'll let me steer? Nope.
No, I think that you sit on daddy's lap. Well, I just want to make sure that it's safe. And, uh, you know, um, maybe, maybe Rob. can take a ride. Dude, this is so... And you let him drive. You let him drive. So I'm in control? I kind of like this. He can put his little hands on the steering wheel. It'll be really cute. Just do it right here in the parking lot so nobody gets hurt. We can take it on the road. I don't feel comfortable about this. Listen, I think you'll be fine. Just don't let, you know, you know he's too young to actually take the wheel for, you know. So you've got to be there. You have to be there to be in control. Well, he can't reach the pedals, so that's good. That is true. That is true. And that's where the idea came from, you know. That just sounds precious. Oh, I think it's adorable. I think it's adorable. I love it. Maybe we should take a vote.
570-1053. If you think that that's the most adorable idea, and maybe, you know, videotape it or something, you know, maybe we do that. 570-1053. Let us know. You think that'd be a cute idea? Back after this. Take your phone calls. It's Mikey. Nick thought he'd never get over Tris. I'm taking a mental health day. Then he met Nora. Let's dance, douchebag! How's it going? Awesome. You guys are so cute. Thank you. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. It's 736. Records show that the train engineer from the deadly crash outside of L.A. had sent a text message just 22 seconds before the crash. Have you guys been hearing about this Torello and stuff? A little, but I don't really know what's up. Something about complaining. He's back at it again. Oh, no. He's complaining about the offense. That's cut 38.
You know, I'm really confident in this team. I'm really confident in my ability. I'm still going to say, you know, that I feel like I should get the ball on certain plays. Now, here's the deal. You know, they lost last week. And Terrell Owens came out after the game and said he felt like he didn't get the ball enough. They looked at the numbers and they threw the ball to T.O. 18 times. Dude. Okay, now you've got to put this in perspective because there's a lot of people listening right now that they go, is that a lot? What is getting the ball a lot? Let me tell you. I think that if somebody has the ball thrown at them anywhere between 10, 15 times, they're getting a pretty good amount of throws to them. A lot. A lot. He caught seven balls for 71 yards and a touchdown, and he went on a tirade that he felt that he wasn't getting the ball enough. And so he went on, I guess he's got a local radio show, and said that the... Oh, we do too. Yeah. Wow. He denies that he went to Tony Romo and was complaining about it and says that his complaints were blown out of proportion, all that stuff. And so, you know, T.O. says that, you know, everything, orders restored, everything's good. That's cut 40. I mean, we're fine in this locker room.
I think everybody in this locker room from coaches on down know that everything that I said was blown out of proportion. It shouldn't have been made in such a big deal. Hmm. Now, Tony Romo is the quarterback of the team. Right. And, you know, he owes history with quarterbacks. Right. He didn't get along with Jeff Garcia in San Francisco. Didn't get along with Donovan McNabb in Philadelphia. Right. But, you know, it seems like he's been getting along with Tony Romo. It's been fantastic. Yeah. So, Tony Romo talks about. T.O. telling him to give the ball more. It's cut 39. He believes that getting the ball helps us win. So, underneath it all, it's about winning. It's not uncommon for him to speak out when he, you know, wants the ball more. Just like you said, Jason will keep it bottled up. But I'll still hear about it in the back, you know, when you guys aren't around. Hmm. So, it seems like Tony Romo's just rolling with the punches. Yeah. There you go. Wow. I'm telling you, dude. That thing eventually has to, something's got to give. Well, on the Chargers pregame show, we talked to NFL insider, Clark Judge, who works for CBS Sports. He, at the beginning of the year, said something that was really interesting. We asked him, the Cowboys is the best team in the NFC. And he said, yeah, as long as they win. He goes, if they start losing, bad things will happen. He goes, that locker room has a lot of combustible elements to it.
namely Terrell Owens. And then when T.O. isn't winning and he feels like he's not involved in the offense, he will be disruptive, guaranteed. And, you know, it's starting to happen a little bit. So they need to win. I thought it was such a trip. They lose this game, and all of a sudden when you listen to sports talk radio, it's like their season's over. You know what I mean? You start hearing talk like, hey guys, you lost a game. One game. It's going to happen. 570-1053. Think about little kids sitting on their daddy's lap and driving the car. What are your thoughts on that? 570-1053. We're getting a lot of text messages. Phone lines are blowing up. Mikey, when I was five, my dad would literally pull over two blocks away, get out, and let us drive the rest of the way home. Wow. It was awesome. P1 T-Mills. That's young. Oh, yeah. No doubt about it. Mikey, my mom would let me steer when we were over the border. That's P1 Chili. There was apparently a border limit for her mom. I guess. P1 Sergeant K? Yes, sir. What's up?
When I was five years old, I would be with my grandpa, and we'd be sitting in the driveway, and he led me by himself, and there was a stick shift. And one time, he went to the back of the truck to work on the vehicle, and he then put in the vehicle in neutral and ran over my grandfather's leg. Oh, yeah, that's not good. That's probably not good. That's what I'm talking about. Got to teach you the brake a little bit more. Dangerous. Definitely got to teach you the brake a little bit more. I couldn't reach the pedals at that point. Well, neither can Rob. That's true. Resoundingly, I think that people would like to see Boston Rob on Eddie's lap. I don't like this. In a onesie. Oh, that would be so cute. That would be really sweet. And, you know, we'll test it. We'll see, you know, how safe is it? How safe is it? I mean, listen, Rob is small, but I mean, I don't know that we're going to fit. Oh, you'll be fine. You'll be fine. Don't worry. Mikey show. I don't know about this. Hello? Hello? Yeah, go ahead. You're on the air. Yeah, it's two on iron. I think this is the reason men end up better drivers than women because they're starting practicing at a much younger age. They're practicing very early. That's just science. Yeah. It's not. It actually is not science. I think I may agree on that one, Eddie. It's called sexism. I think it is science, Holmes.
shocked by your reaction. Mikey's show. Really? No. Okay. Hello? What's up, dude? Hey, yeah, I think it's a great idea to have B-Rob and Eddie do it. In fact, I've got a dump truck that we can donate to the cause. A dump truck? My son drove it when he was five when I first bought the dump truck. I put him on my lap and he drove it when he was five just around the neighborhood and he's never forgotten it. I mean... That's so cute. I think this is a wise decision. A, are dump trucks hard to drive? No, this one's a Kodiak 4500, so it's a smaller dump truck. It's not like the great big one. So, yeah, it's easy to drive. It's automatic? Automatic. Okay. And big seats inside. That's awesome. I hear you guys talk about it, saying it's good for boys. It's also good for girls, because my daughter, we're desert rats. And I put my daughter when she was about three or four on my quad with me and would take her for a ride. And she'd be pushing my thumb down on the throttle because she wanted to go faster and faster. And she's never forgotten that either. Dude, that's awesome. That's awesome. Thanks for the call. Mikey, you guys should rent out Qualcomm. Let dads bring their kids down there and bond and drive around all at one time. That is dangerous. P1 Maconian.
Mikey, I think having Boston Rob sit on Eddie's lap is a great idea. P1 Michael Jackson and P1 Whodunit. Nice. Let's see. Mikey, last night we were telling stories and my niece told us one. When she was little, she would sit on her dad's lap when he drove a 68 Camaro. One time she was on his lap driving, her little foot got caught up in the steering wheel and her dad couldn't turn. So he ended up going off the road and rolling the car. P1 Zeros. It happens. You gotta be careful. You never know. You got to be very careful when you're doing this stuff. Here's a pretty good suggestion for the 28-hour show, by the way. Mikey, can you guys do like a flyer and post it on your website so we could print it and pass it out to friends about a special event? Oh, that's cool. Hey, Sean, maybe we can make like something printable that we could put on the website telling people about the 28-hour show. They pass it out to people and let them know we're going to be doing it. That's a great idea. I love that. That's pretty cool.
So anyway, 570-1053 is our number you want to weigh in on this thing. So how can we do this? How can we do this? Maybe we could just get a car. We'll just get any car. I'm not using my car. You're not going to use yours? No way. Maybe these are mine. Okay, well. We're going to use the excursion. Yeah, we can do that. Yeah, let's get the Rock 1053. Who cares if we wreck that? Exactly. Let's try to roll it. Let's get the Rock 1053 excursion and do it that way. Is Jay here at the station? When should we do this? When would be a good time to do this? We should do it tomorrow, I guess. Let's do it tomorrow. Oh, wow. Dude, let's do it tomorrow. Oh, man. Get people to listen. We'll get the excursion. I feel dirty. We'll film it. It'll be fantastic. Hey, by the way, Ashley's going to be doing an eating competition next hour. It's going to be Whoppers. Those little, not the kind from Burger King, those little candy Whoppers. They're delicious. How fantastic is that? 5701053. The text is 35253. People are texting in to talk about everything right now. 28-hour show texts. Mikey is the 28-hour show. Also going to be for a charity again. That's P1 Montez. Yep, it's going to be Children's Hospital again. We love Children's. We're going to set up a space on the website.
where you can go and donate money. And it's going to be really cool. What we're going to do is we are going to allow donations. First of all, everybody that donates, every single person that donates at least $15 is going to get our best of CD for this year. Wow. Now, everybody. Oh, that's awesome. But if you donate a gift to Children's Hospital of $50 or more, Not only are you going to get the best of CD for this year, for 2008, but you're also going to get the limited edition Mikey Show 28-Hour Show t-shirt. That is so rad. And it's awesome, man. Awesome. It's really cool. It's got like the font of the show 24. And that's like the overall theme. And it's just a really cool, cool-looking t-shirt. And so any donation of $50 or more gets you a free one. And it's really going to be great, man. We really are hoping to raise a lot of money for children. Last year, $14,000. I think we can do better. Absolutely. Absolutely. So we're going to give it the college go. 570-1053. Text number is 35253. I don't understand.
Dr. Phil going to be performing on Mikey Idol at the 28-Hour Show or something? I don't think so. I haven't heard one. I haven't heard anything like that, but I don't know. I was just in the bathroom, and he was in there with the real Ryan Seacrest, and he was working out some sort of a performance. I don't know what that's about. I don't even know what was going on. I'd like to be Seacrest. Okay, I got taken out of context. The Mikey Show. Why can't you just have a... standing outside First Trust Bank with Pete Farwell, who witnessed the robbery. Yeah, so I was depositing money, and I'm standing in line. The one right on Maple? Yeah, anyway, so I noticed this guy behind me. Now, are those highlights? Uh, yeah, highlights. Wow. Uh, back to the robbery. So, I dove toward the counter. Shocking. I did not know Supercuts did highlights. Would I look good as a blonde, Pete? I guess. So I got the gun and the robber was arrested. Welcome back. It's 754. It's been announced that the Foo Fighters will be guest judges on this season of Top Chef. What? Wait. Let it soak in. Say it again. Foo Fighters. Do you mean American Idol? No. I guess they're foodies. You know, they're, like, really into food. Oh, I didn't know they were the food fighters. I always thought it was the food. No, it is food. All this time. It is food. No, it's food. All this time. But, yeah, they will be guest judges on this season of Top Chef New York. Interesting. Wow. Former Raiders head coach Mike Shanahan, who's now, of course, the Denver Broncos head coach, knows Lane Kiffin's pain. He had a little comment on the Raiders situation going on right now. I'll be honest with you. I was a little disappointed, to be honest with you. When you take a look at it, I was there 582 days. Oh, wow. Lane Kiffin was there 616 days. So what it really means is that Al Davis liked Lane more than he liked me. I really don't think it's fair. I've won three more games, and he's got 34 more days of work. It just doesn't seem right. Because of you guys? Really, you think about it. That's great.
You know, I got to be honest, that's the first time I kind of heard Shanahan have a little fun. I like it. And it kind of lightens the mood. I like it. Yeah, that was good. I like Shanahan doing that. What do you guys think of this email? Hey, Mikey Show, wanted to see if you had any good advice about losing weight quickly. Oh, I do. I really want to lose weight before my 10-year high school reunion. Oh, and I forgot to mention that it is in two weeks. Oh, wow. Don't eat. I'd like to be the same weight I was in high school, which was 120 pounds. Right now I weigh about 140. I don't think I look bad, but I know how the girls are that I went to high school with. I'd rather not give them any ammo. What do you guys think? That's P1 Jenny. Well, first of all, I have to say, I think that we should defer to Eddie because he's a doctor. I'm actually not. You're not a doctor. Dr. Pamplemousse, right? Aren't you Dr. Pamplemousse? No. That's your name. Specialty in home birthing. That's right. Water births. And mammograms. That's right. Natural births. And silent. Silent water births. Those are all true. I personally think it's a bad idea to try to lose the weight fast. You know, you never know what could happen. Thank you, Mike. It's a bad idea. But then again, I'm not a doctor. We should consult with one. Today on Dr. Phil. That's what I mean.
That's what I meant. If you're going to talk to me, you're going to have to be honest. This is going to be a changing day in your life. There's that young man. He's such a nice boy. Wait, wait. What did you say, young man? What was that? Huh. Young man. There's that Dr. Phil fan. Yeah. He's got a t-shirt on, got a picture of a mustache on it. Yeah. Pretty awesome. That's right. I am Dr. Phil. Hey. I heard the email here and I thought it was fantastic. Listen, here's the thing now. I.
myself have been through the same exact thing. In fact, the most weight I've ever lost was 145 pounds. Wow. I never knew that. That's right. Actually, the deal was I stayed at a top-notch resort that catered to weight loss. And they actually did this in a way that I've never experienced before or after. Perhaps you've heard of it. It was called the Hanoi Hilton. Wait. And I was under the tutelage of a weight loss expert named Noong Kim. Oh, gosh. You are being ridiculous. He was a superb calorie analyst. And he determined after crunching some numbers that I was taking in too many calories and not working hard enough. Oh, no. And so what he did was he put me on a... On a diet that he called No More Rice Him. Okay. It was called No More Rice Him. This is not true. Yeah, sounds weird. He also worked out daily with me and worked me out on something that he called Who Your Commanding Officer. Oh. Never heard that either. Sounds like an interesting workout. It was a workout routine called
Who your commanding officer. I wonder what that translates to mean. Well, it translated to 145 pounds long. Congrats. Now, I got to tell you, that particular exercise involved motivational shouting and plenty of running away from him. That does not sound like fun, Dr. Paul. And I know this P1 Benny that wrote in her high school. That's right. She's got her reunion coming up and perhaps a... A trip to Da Nang before they put things in order for her. Don't forget that if all else fails, Eddie, a great thing for her to do would be just an honest note on the RSVP. That would never hurt. Maybe she could just write on the note, can't make it too chubby. Okay. Well, that's embarrassing. No one wants to say that. What about see y'all in 28? What if she were to put that? See y'all in 28.
Still not cool. I'm actually kind of glad that she came to me with this, and I'll tell you why. As you know, I've written several weight loss books over the years. That's true. Including the bestseller, Hey Chubzo, Get Off Your Butt and Stop Eating That Corn Dog. Do you remember that book? It was a good one. It was a great one. I don't recall that one. It came out a couple of years ago. Or who could forget? Fatty, fatty two by four can't fit through the kitchen door. Y'all remember that book that I put out? It was it. It went right to number one. It went right to number one. Now, my personal favorite one was Stop I and My. Cupcake lard monkey. That was probably my favorite. Lard monkey. It's a good book. I'm taking very close notes. I won a Nobel Prize for that one, I think. Oh, really? I don't remember, but I think I did. I think you did it. Pick up one of those books. You should be fine. And if the weight isn't coming off, then only eat the pages out of the book. I don't know.
Well, I made sure the pages were made from laxative trees and that should be a trick for you. I think it'll work out for you. Now, there is one thing that kind of greatly concerns me about this woman's condition, and that is her heart spontaneously stopping, all right? That could be bad. Well, yeah, that would be bad. And I'm speaking purely as a doctor here, okay? The reason for this is because of so much, all of that fat, super fatty, fat, fat in the abdomen, you know what I mean? Speaking strictly in medical terms here, what I mean is I'm talking about... Fatty, fat, floppity, flap. You know what I'm saying? Floppity, flap. This must be medical stuff. I don't understand. The foodie, fat, fat, biggie, butt, big, big, fatty, fat, fat, flab, blub, flap. What? Flap, fat. He's speaking medical, guys. Get it. It's just a bunch of fat and a big butt is what it is.
It concerns me. It concerns me. Thanks for dumbing it down. It concerns me. Now, there is other solutions that this woman may consider. As long as she is trying to lose weight fast, do not rule out tapeworms. Now, here's the deal. Think about it. They're all natural, which means that they're green. No, that's not what that means. Now, everybody's worried about being green. Oh, goodness. But not just one worm. What I would do is I'd eat a whole bucket of them. A bucket? Oh, my God. It's just me, but you really should. Okay, Dr. Phil. This is bad advice. Please. You know, Eddie, I was an overweight kid, and my mother, who I miss so much, that is if she were gone. Sorry, Mom. Oh, wow. But my mother used to give me encouragement as I was a child each night before I would go to bed. And what she would do, Eddie, is a... Oh, no. Don't say a lullaby. She would sing me a lullaby. Yes, Eddie. She would sing it every time. You don't ever really do the lullaby. You always do a version of Yankee Doodle. She would sing me a lullaby. I mean, every time. Puts me to sleep. Not this time, Sky. Not this time. Oh, really? You see, my mother...
I do a lot of different kinds of lullabies, all right? And this one, I think, helped me tremendously, and it went like this. Are you ready? Yeah. Yankee doodle into town, and like you broke the scale. I hate to say it, but you are a big, fat whale. Oh, that's awesome. That's a lullaby. Sounds hurtful, Dr. Fett. Very. I think it was gorgeous, and I think it gets things in perspective, ladies and gentlemen. Terrible. Bad advice. I'm Dr. Fett. That was it. Mikey Show. Oh, yes. Nick thought he'd never get over Tris. I'm taking a mental health day. Then he met Nora. Let's dance. So, how's it going? Awesome. Awesome night. Critics are calling Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist smart and hilarious. You off duty? This isn't a cab. You off duty? It's not a cab, my friend, I promise you. Four stars. What did you see in Trist? I could floss with that girl. I don't have to yell. It's not a train station. We're in a tiny car. Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist. Rated PG-13. May be inappropriate for children under 13. In theaters tomorrow. Your soulmate isn't getting it. Wrap yourself in, kids. Rock 105.3. Who is this? Is this Blink? Is it Blink? Yeah. Welcome back. It is 8.09. Last night, the Senate passed the sweetened Wall Street bailout bill. Now it goes to the House for a vote. Hey, Boston has a 1-0 lead over the Angels. They won 4-1 last night. Yeah. Go drink it. Come on. It's ridiculous. The guy doesn't even really drink anymore. No, I don't. Let's go have a sip. That's all I do now is sip. Probably be tired and want to go to sleep. Hey, Rob, where are your tickets? Did you find out? No, no, no. I haven't found out yet. I'm going to probably make a phone call today, but I heard they're really good. The seats are good? Yeah, so I'm thinking where they're going to be.
Close to first or third or not that far in the outfield. Really? Yeah. I'm so excited. I want to get hit with a foul ball. You do. Or, like, just hit in the hands. I want to grab it. I want to take something home. Yeah. I've been to so many baseball games in my life, and I've never, ever caught a foul ball. I've been very close. But I've never caught one. When a foul ball is hit, Rob's the only guy that pretends it's like a soccer ball. And, you know, he's in the middle of a game and he's trying to, like, headbutt. Yeah. Get a header. But, yeah, so Rob's going tomorrow. It's a big playoff game with the Angels and the Red Sox, and then he'll report back on it on Monday. Cool. Providing he's here on Monday. Yeah. Hopefully I can make it. If he's not, we'll just log on to the government website in Anaheim. Yes. We'll figure out where he is. DrunkTank.org. DrunkTank.org. Well, ladies and gentlemen, we have done this before, and it is time to do it again.
A battle to decide gastric prowess. The Monkey Show presents the Ashley Eating Competition. I hope mommy's hungry. There she comes. When is she hungry? Mommy's hungry. She's doing a photo shoot. She's actually doing it. She's really using the space and exploring the camera. Wow, that is really amazing. Really an amazing thing. Here she is. Ashley was telling us earlier in the week that she was making a dessert. And, you know, it was a Sunday. And she wanted to crunch some candy whoppers on top of it. Those candies are called whoppers. You know what I'm talking about? They come in a little milk carton. And they're little round balls that have chocolate around them. And inside is like a cookie-type texture. Cookie crunch. Cookie crunch. Yummy.
Only Ashley couldn't really find a way to appropriately crunch the candy up into little bits to pour over the sundae. Doesn't seem right, but okay. I tried with my hand. Look, it doesn't, it hurt. Hurt your hand, right? That's all like fuzzy, crunchy, and this is like not crunchy enough. Fuzzy, crunchy. See how that just does not. Sure. Well, yeah, it turned it into powder on one of them, right? If you put them in a plastic bag, Mike. That idea was out. Yeah. You put them in a plastic bag. You could probably take them in a plastic bag, and then you could just take the plastic bag and just kind of smash it against the table. I mean, the bottom of your cup. I mean, anything would work. No, Ashley put the Whoppers in her mouth. And then she crunched them up and she let it, she opened her mouth up over the sundae and let them pour out onto the sundae. Well, that's disgusting. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So she did it. And she said it worked really good. And then after she did that. It wasn't that big a deal. No. After she did that, she put whipped cream. Whipped cream? Whipped cream. On top. On top of it.
Sunday made with love. That's right. So we do a segment here where we're doing these eating competitions with Ashley because she likes to eat. Like a beast. She eats like a beast. She's eating crackers and she's eating chicken nuggets. Bananas, marshmallows. And she's pretty much dominated. She's pretty much dominated. Last week was crazy impressive. Yeah. Last week was chicken nuggets. Well, I had to redeem myself because I'd lost with the bananas the week prior. She, like, tripled the score of the other person, her competitor. Tripled? Yeah. Yeah. Wow. She tripled the amount. Like those McNuggets. All right. So Ashley is going to give it a try again. And this time her competition is Hall of Famer. Oh, my gosh. Hey, on Quimby. Let me get you to come over to the microphone, please. You share the mic with Ashley. And what are you thinking? What are you thinking with these Whoppers? I'm hoping I don't choke and die. That's a good plan. Good strategy. I like it. Each competitor has a paper plate of Whoppers in front of them. And, Jay, how many Whoppers do we have per plate? That looks like a lot. 75. Oh, my gosh. Which light am I normally on?
To the left, right? Yeah, you want to stick with the left side. To the left. Everybody calm down. All those whoppers on a plate to the left. See, I feel like I was on the right last week. You weren't. I was. Jay knows. Jay's right. Do you have a lucky spot? Oh, last week I think you were. I was on the right because she was on the left because I remember looking up at her to see where her piece was. Oh, yeah. You feel like luck is involved? Sorry, Quimby. For sure. Sorry, Quimby. Quimby is getting moved over. Okay. Stop. Vamping to the camera. Yeah, Ashley's vamping to the camera. The crowd, but he's taping it. It's not like it's streaming live or anything. There's not really a crowd involved. Yeah. Okay, so they're going to get one minute. Eat as many as they possibly can. Now, has there been practicing going on? She eats them on a daily basis. Yeah, I don't need to practice. Okay, you're good. I've had plenty of Whoppers. Okay, my bad. I'm a horrible person. Is it possible, you think, to eat 75 Whoppers in 60 seconds? Is it even possible to do it? Come on, Mike. Whoever can eat the most. We're about to find out. Ash, are you going to use your water?
Yeah, if I need to. I think that it might help with the crunchy texture and getting it swallowed down. I'm going to need to cleanse with the water. Got it. Cleanse. I don't want to be anywhere near this. Cleanse my tongue with the water. Are you ready? Yes. On your mark, Eddie's moving back. It's always gross. Quimby just put her hair in a ponytail. Shake it up. Eddie, what's on the line? Metallica tickets. Oh, Quibi. Oh, my gosh, Quibi. On your mark. Get set. Oh, they're leaning down. Go. Oh, whoa. Quimby's taking about a handful. Oh, yeah. Ashley's going one at a time. Yeah, and Quimby's got a handful that she jammed into her mouth. Now Quimby is slowed down to one at a time. Oh, this is disgusting. This is really gross, yeah. Quimby's now going two at a time. I don't think anybody's swallowed yet, Mike. No. I don't think anybody has either. They look like little squirrels with their cheeks all moved down. Yeah, definitely. Get them down. Ashley has, oh, Ashley's taking a drink of water and the water splashed all over her face. This is a wet t-shirt. It's such a pretty top. Don't get it dirty. Wow.
Quimby is doing it like a lady, and she's drinking the water like a lady, and Ashley not drinking the water like a lady. Oh, Quimby, calm down. Ashley is now chewing with her mouth open. Yeah. This is interesting. And she's really got a very profound chew. Yeah. I'd say Ashley has a very profound chew. Yeah. We're coming up on the end. We're coming up on the end. Oh, this is ridiculous. Get them down, girls. Come on. Come on. Quimby, one at a time. She's going left hand, right hand, left hand, right hand. We're getting the whoppers in her mouth. Oh, oh. You're done. You're done. Stop. Put them down. They swallow. Oh, no, Quimby. Uh-oh. Quimby? Quimby trying to hold her whopper. Quimby is trying to hold her whopper. And Ashley is still chewing. My teeth are tired. Really? Yeah. Yeah, you were chewing like a mad woman. Like my jaw is sore. Yeah, you gave it everything you had. Yeah, it was her teeth. She gave it everything she had. Now they are furiously counting to see who has more left. Whoever has more left is the loser.
Quimbit was shoving like handfuls in her mouth. Well, yeah, she's serious. Who does that? She's serious. Somebody that wants to win. Somebody that took this thing serious. It's called a real competitor. I'm so hungry. That's right. I mean, I can relate to that. Look at this. Ashley, Ashley, I think may be embarrassed. She gets schooled. Eddie's counting. Eddie's counting. Eddie needs to write. Eddie's doing math. Wait a minute. Eddie's breaking out an abacus. I don't know what this is. I'm really nervous right now. This is not good. Round it off. Carry the one. I'm really uncomfortable with all of this right now, you guys. Why? Because I don't feel good about it. Well, you look great. That is really all that matters. Yeah, I mean, the bangs are beautiful. I don't think she should feel good about it. I really felt like Ashley was, you know, she was giving it her best, but she was up against the Hussein Bolt of Whopper eaters. I have the official count. Oh, my gosh.
I'm actually surprised that they didn't eat more than this. This was a little bit surprising. It's harder than it looks. P1 Quimby comes in at 23 Whoppers. 23 Whoppers. Our girl Ashley comes in at 19. Ashley has a really deflated look on her face. And look at that. Quimby. Hey, hey, hey, we're adults. I don't want to get hit. I don't want to get hit. Okay, Ashley's thrown five Whoppers and not made contact once. Not one time has Ashley made contact. Ashley is like the stormtrooper of Whoppers. Yes, she is. What is happening? I don't know. So stupid. Oh, no. You should be mad at yourself. You should be mad at yourself. Yes, what happened? Your strategy was horrendous. What happened? She just threw another one at Kimmy. I heard that one. I probably heard her. Shut up.
Your strategy was horrendous. Talk to me, Ash. What happened to you? I feel like I'm going to cry. Yeah, she doesn't like it. I'm really upset. She doesn't like it when she loses. Ashley, what happened here? Cry, cry, cry, cry. Ash, what happened? What did you do? For real. Oh, no. Is somebody about to get their period? I think so. Yeah, I think she's going to cry. Ash, what happened? Tell me why. You know something? It's a Whopper eating contest. Ash, please, you guys, give her a minute. You guys, she is. It's okay. Stop it. You stop it. Now talk to us. You were terrible. What happened? Tell us why you were so awful. I did my freaky smile. It happened. But what happened, Ash? I think it was your best. How did you lose? It wasn't your best. Why is she not good enough? Why are you not good enough? What happened, Ashley? Because I had this whole strategy going into it. Two-handed, okay, right hand, choo-choo, left hand, choo-choo, right hand, choo-choo, left hand, choo-choo. It's like a train. In the past. It was awful. In the past. She was terrible. One of the worst. In the past, I have done the whole shove my mouth, or, or strategy, or, or, or. That's not a strategy. That's shoving your face with food, and it has not worked out for me. Cry, cry, cry, cry. Cry, cry, cry. Now she's getting upset again.
My butt kick. And then she got her butt kick. You got whipped. Quimby dominated. Quimby, Quimby wants to give her a hug. Are you going to put up a challenge? Quimby, talk to me. She's throwing whoppers. She's throwing whoppers again. Quimby, talk to me. How did you do this? Well, I absolutely did not practice at all. You got beat by a novice. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. And, uh... I like candy a lot. My boyfriend has to hide it from me because I will eat it all. Thank you. You went with the shove it all in my mouth strategy. That's right. That works. The Mikey Show. Welcome back. It is 827. Well, Britney Spears kind of works on her own schedule. Yesterday, she went to visit kids at a New York middle school on a school holiday. James Maloney hit a Grand Slam, leading the Dodgers to a 7-2 win over the Chicago Cubs. Did you guys know that Tina Fey got offered $6 million for a book? No. $6 million for a book deal. Why? Yeah, I read they were making her offers for a book deal before she won her Emmy. And then after winning the Emmy, they had to up the offer a million bucks. And it's not even for like an autobiography. They say it would be for a nonfiction humor book. Wow. Yeah. Really? Yeah, so we'll see. Is it going to be getting hotter or cooler here, Skye?
It's getting hot in here. It's getting hotter? No, I'm just kidding. I just want to sing. I just want to sing. That's understandable. It's getting hot in here. So hot. Thank you. So take off all your clothes. Well-known rap artist, Alec Trebek. Yeah, the last two days have been pretty hot around the county. I'm sure you've noticed. And so they say by the weekend, you know, temperatures should drop anywhere between 20 to 30 degrees. And we're going to get this little cooling trend coming. And they say that there's even a... chance of getting a little rain this weekend. Start burning your furniture. Wait, why do we burn our furniture? Stay warm. Oh, okay. Try the heat first, but then if that don't work, if that don't work, you know what I mean? What am I, Bill Clinton? He's got heat. Did you guys hear about this dude in Florida that a shark was trying to eat his dog, so he punched the shark? Awesome! Yeah! I think that's probably what you're supposed to do. Yeah, right in the face, man. Would you eat your cat? Oh, that would. The shark would, yeah. He'd eat your dog or he'd eat your cat. Yeah, this guy was... Would you punch a dog? Would you punch a cat? Would you punch a shark? Yeah, dog's in the water. Dog's in the water. You go inside the cage. Cat's in the water. Cage goes in the water. You go in the water.
Sharks in order. Sharks. Tanks are full of compressed air. Boop-a. Mary Jo. She broke my heart. Show me the way to go. He's back for his afternoon feeding. Oh, my God. So anyway, this all went down in the Florida Keys late last week where this dude was swimming with his dog, who's a puppy. He used to swimming with bow-legged women. All right. This guy was swimming with his dog, who's a puppy, but it weighs about 14 pounds. Pippet! Pippet! Pippet! Yes! Pippet! Yes! Pippet! Pippet! Dude, 7 million points. Yes.
For Pippet. I win. Wow. And so he says they were out there swimming, and all of a sudden he sees a shark heading their way, and then the shark goes underwater, and then he sees his dog get pulled underwater. And he said he just got this, let's see, a rat terrier. Oh, wow. Oh, 14 pounds. I'd be afraid of that. Ratteria. Hey, Ratteria. How you doing? You forgot your wallet at my house the other night. So he said he was like so upset and got such like a rush of adrenaline. He says he just clenched his fist up in a ball and dove straight underwater with all of his strength. He said like a battering ram was like the picture in his head when he was diving. And he just punched the shark in the back of the neck. He said it felt like hitting concrete when he hit the shark, but the shark dropped the dog. I didn't think you could really like punch underwater.
You know, I guess you can. He said he was like a battery ram. Like Aquaman? Yeah, like Aquaman. $10,000 for me by myself. But then you get the head, the tail, the whole damn thing. Stand here and see that thing cut open and see that little Kettner voice spill out all over the dock. I'm going to do some half-ass autopsy on a fish. This is not the time or the place to perform some kind of an autopsy on a fish. It's the greatest. More shark stories. That's right. That's all I got for today. A what? A what? In New Jersey. This could be a shark story. We don't know. This could be a shark story. In New Jersey.
Mystery meat is washing up on shore. Shut up. I beg your pardon. Pippet. Pippet. The Kittner boy. Pippet. So they don't really know what's going on. They have to test the meat to try and figure out what exactly it is. Call Slider. Call Slider. Call Slider. Well, yeah, yeah. Eddie's doing the test right now. Well, no, I don't think they tested my eating it. No, I don't think it's a taste test, Eddie. It's wallaby. No. I just tried it. I just tested it. I just tested it. I mean, it looked like ribs. Pieces of wallaby are washing up in New Jersey. I thought it was baby backs, but it wasn't. It was wallabies. It looked like little kangaroo. That's right. Yeah, they say the largest piece. I want my wallaby, wallaby, wallaby, wallaby. They say the largest piece that has... Baby back ribs. Wallaby sauce. Wallaby sauce, by the way. You ever had the wallaby sauce? So they say the largest piece, because a bunch of different pieces are washing up, the largest piece was about five feet long. Dude, Jersey's weird, because remember they had feet washing up a couple months ago? Oh, yeah. Hey, could I make a statement here? Oh, no. I don't think you should.
I just want to say for the record that I don't know anything about the meat washing up on shore. That's interesting. We didn't ask. Yeah, nobody accused you of knowing anything. That's why I'm saying that, you know, me and my cousin went fishing last weekend. Ain't no big deal, eh? Yeah. Cut a striper. Yeah, we cut a striper. Yeah, that's great. We cut a striper. No, I can't. Okay. Yeah, we don't know anything about it. No, nothing at all. You're making me suspicious. Interesting. Let me tell you something. If one of your friends, let's say, hypothetically wanted to borrow $40,000 five and a half years ago. Yeah, not for nothing, but you know. And you know, you out of the kindness of your heart, you said, damn, you got two years to pay me back. Well, you know, you do the math. What year is this? Wow. What else is in the nose? Anyway, can I borrow this knife? Yeah, it's a good knife. You going to use this? Yeah. It's a good knife. Never have enough good knives around. Makes me nervous. I hear the deer is poor. Yeah. What do you call that? The foot. The foot. The hoof. The hoof. Fuck there in the grill of the car. I love you, Mom. You're the best. Come here. Give me a kiss. You're the best. I'm okay.
Weird. A baby looks like somebody we know, huh? No! That's so funny. No, he is. Well, sausage and peppers. Interesting. Well, people who have seen the mystery meat wash ashore. This guy, he's looking this way. And the other guy, he's looking that way. He's like, yeah, what do you want with me? So people who have seen the mystery meat wash up say that it looks like somebody basically blew up. like a whale or a shark or something, and the chunks and pieces of it just keep washing up. Well, yeah, we saw what happened. The shark had a scuba tank in his mouth, and then Brody shot it.
Yeah, yeah, right, you know. We saw the seagulls at the end. Eventually it's going to wash up in New Jersey. Everywhere. Everywhere. It was out there in the ocean. All the way to New Jersey. It's right there. Okay. Let's see. Amity. Amity. Yeah, Amity. Amity. 570-1053 is our phone number and our text number is 35253. This is P1 Mike on the line. Hi, Mike. Hey, how's it going? Good. I'm actually not a P1. I wish I was, though. All right. Never had time to get up on the computer and do all that stuff. You know there's no sign-up to be a P1, bro. Oh, yeah? Yeah, there is no sign-up. I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. Yeah, there is no sign-up to become a P1 listener. All it takes to be a P1 listener is... Just be a big fan of The Mikey Show. Be an exclusive listener of The Mikey Show. Listen for a while. Not just a small amount of time, but long periods of time. And turn other people on to The Mikey Show. And you've already proved yourself as a P1, because when you called in, you turned your radio down, got to your point, and didn't cuss. Yeah, well, yeah, I dropped an F-bomb, but I was pretty upset about that. You didn't drop an F-bomb with me here today. With me. Oh, with Rob. And I coached him for a little bit. Okay, good, good.
We had a talk. Will you get to the point here? Yeah, yeah, for sure, man. I'm still on my way to work right now, but someone had mentioned to me, you guys were talking about me on the radio yesterday. We were talking about you on the radio? Yeah, I was the guy who got maced in the face in that home invasion. Oh, my gosh. Oh, yeah. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Yeah, we talked about a home invasion. In Vista, where the guy was dressed up like a cop. Yeah. And this guy is saying he was one of the guys in the house. He was the guy who actually got maced in the house. I answered the door. No way, dude. Were you the guy on the news? My buddy, he doesn't have a peephole on his door. So, I mean, whatever. Like, we're all a bunch of cool guys. You know, we're just a bunch of, like, a college house. You know, we just party or whatever. A lot of drinking. I don't know what homeboy thought. Maybe, like, we were, like, drug dealers or something, and maybe he was just trying to scare us. Well, you know what I heard on the news is that your friend had moved into that house just, like, a month or so ago. Is that true? About two months, yes. Yeah, and so that was kind of my first thought. Like, maybe the people who lived there before were doing shady business, and that's why this guy targeted the house. Yeah. I mean, straight up, like, I mean, I was not letting the guy in, man. Like, I had my hand gripped on the door.
Homeboy, like, he's dressed up like, you know, like undercover cop kind of. What do you mean like undercover cop? Like what? He had a white polo shirt on, blue jeans, and he had a tactical vest on. I didn't really like it. I mean, I wasn't really going to look at him that much. I mean, because, like, he had a gun to my face instantly at the door. He said, search warrant, search warrant. I'm like, what the heck? I'm like, where's your search warrant, dude? And he's like, search warrant. He's like, what, are you effing kidding me? Are you effing kidding me? This is no effing joke. You get on the effing ground, blah, blah, blah, and then, like, freaking, like, forced his way in. I'm like, where's your badge, homie? Where's your badge? Where's your search warrant? What's up, dude? And he's like, and then, and then, so, my buddy's girl or wife was like, Mike, just listen to him or whatever. Listen to him, like, okay, whatever. Like, he pushed his way in, and then everybody get on the effing ground, just me. And my buddy Ryan and his wife were in the living room at the time. The other two roommates were upstairs. One was in the bathroom and one was actually sleeping at the time. And this happened about 8.30 on Monday night. And, like, you know, he made his way in and he freaking knocked my piece over, broke that. He knocked your what over?
No, yeah. I mean, yeah, I was smoking herb, dude. No doubt. What's a piece? Something you smoke out of. It's something that you smoke out of. Okay. It's a bong, dude. So he knocked over your bong. Yeah, I mean. That's messed up. I ain't really going to give a damn about that. I'm sorry, dude. You know, I ain't going to give a crap about that. He switches out damn for crap. Yeah. By the way, hey, Mike, you didn't, like, have that out when the cops got there, did you? No, dude, I had freaking stashed it. Right. Dude, we don't, like, we don't sell nothing, homie. Like, we have only, like, little bits of herb or whatever, but, like, straight up, dude, like, you know, everybody works hard in San Diego. Dude, we got to, you know, find our way out, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. Probably shouldn't. say that you have that stuff at your house if the real cops went thereafter. Yeah, that's probably a good thing. Just a heads up. That's a heads up. I should have told the cops what happened. I'm like, yeah, that fool kicked my bong over and broke it. It's honest. What did the cops say when you said that? It was an original Jerome Baker. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, man. Dude. Those can be pricey. So, hey, man.
So wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Did the cop question you about that? Yeah, kind of. I mean, he put in his reports, yeah, this was probably over, like, marijuana or whatever. And were you the guy that actually got maced? Oh, yeah. He maced me in the face when I was on the ground. And I was like, boy, dude, and he didn't even, like, faze me. Like, I mean, like, he got in my mouth, and that kind of, like, burnt a little bit. And I was like, dude, I'm about to, like, I'm like, what's going on here? There's only one of them. I'm about to jump this guy. I don't care if he's got a gun. Like, you know, I was just shooting the other day, you know what I'm saying, with my buddies, you know, out in East County. And freaking, you know, I wasn't fazed by his gun. But then, like, again, you know, it's my life, you know, so. Yeah. But. Why did he mace you? Maybe because I was the one that was most resisting against him. Why were you being resistant? Because this homeboy didn't really seem like a cop to me. But he had a gun. And again, I didn't want to, you know, be resistant against a cop. Yeah, and he had a gun, bro. That's the thing. You know what I mean? Yeah, for sure, dude. You don't want to get hurt. No, I don't know, dude. And, like, I mean, it's sketchy, man. Like, I mean, yeah, I know there's gangs in Vista and Oside or whatever. There's gangs all over the place. But, dude, I ain't afraid of gang members, homie. Oh, gosh.
I've been living in San Diego my whole life. I don't know what goes down. Dude, let me tell you. I went to Helix High School, man. You know what I'm saying? How old are you, bro? I'm 23 years old. 23. 23 is young, and you've heard me say this a million times. When you're that age, you're bulletproof. Oh, yeah. You feel like you're bulletproof. Bulletproof. Yeah, I get it. And I got to tell you, dude, I hope you're careful, man. I don't want you to get hurt. And it's terrible hearing that you got hurt in any way. And they haven't found this guy yet, right? No, I did. I went into the police station yesterday and did the whole computer, like, face analysis thing or whatever. And, like, they ended up, you know, making a pretty close match. But, I mean, I don't know if they're going to put it in the news or whatever. Yeah, I hope they catch the guy. What did he take from the house? He took my pride, dude. He didn't take nothing. So he didn't steal anything? No. Yeah, that's why they're speculating one of two things. Either the intruder felt overwhelmed because there were so many people in the house, or else the intruder got into the house and realized the people he was looking for don't live there anymore and then took off. That is a trip. So they don't really know.
Yeah, but. Did he, when he was in there, was he demanding anything from you? No, he's like, just get on the effing ground. And then when he, when more people came, he was just like, he's like, who are, who are you? He's like, how many more people are in this house? And it was like, I'm like, dude, I was like, try not. Hey, dude, you can't make sure that you watch your language. Okay. I just want to, I just want to remind you, just want to remind you. You've been great. You've been great. I just want to remind you. To watch the language. And so while he was in the house, he wasn't demanding anything from you. Did he give you any indication as to what was he telling you he was there for before he left? Before he left, he said straight up, he's like, you guys think you're not going to go to jail for selling weed? And I'm like, dude, what are you talking about? There's none of that crap going on around here. And then after that, he just shut up because my boys came around the back. And they're like, what's going on, you know? So what happened? Did he, like, run out of the house? Yeah, he's like, they're going out the back, they're going out the back, and then, like, took off. Like, he's acting like someone was running out the back. I'm like, dude, I didn't see nobody run out the back. And so that's what he did? He ran out the back? No, he ran out the front. Oh, he ran out the front. Oh, wow. I love ham.
We do, too. This guy's a P1. What do you want? He's a P1. What do you want? Okay, that's great. No, this guy's cool. That's fantastic. Hey, listen, Mike. I love the Mikey show, dude. Well, thank you. Thank you, bro. I sure hope you stay out of trouble, brother. Oh, yeah, for sure, dude. I mean. Stay safe. You know, I'm a good guy. Like, I don't know. Stay. Stay safe, dude. We don't want you to get hurt, okay? Oh, yeah, for sure, man. All right, dude. Hey, thanks for calling. Anybody else have any questions? That was a pretty cool, pretty crazy story, man. Yeah, word. I appreciate it, dude. Thank you, man. That would have freaked me out. Oh, my gosh. Wow. He's so young. You can hear it, man. He's just like, come on, come on. I'm not afraid. No gang. Dude, come on. You don't need to say that. Anybody get reminded of a certain someone's nephew? Oh. Yeah, dude, I used to do it. No. Beto. What did you do, Beto? Stop it. I used to be the hapless victim of...
Home invasions. Really? But you don't even have a home. You live with Nana. No, dude, this is when I was hanging out with my homeboys. Oh, okay. What happened? Drinking 40s, cleaning our weapons and stuff, and then... Oh, I'm sure. Like, all the time, dude, people would break in there, and I would always be, like, in the back with the money machine. What are you talking about? Yeah, dude, I was in the back with the money machine, counting hundreds, you know? And then I would hear these homeboys break into the house, and so I would bust out there, and I always knew what to do, bro. And what's that? Take off my T-shirt so they see the ink. Oh, okay. You don't have any tattoos. No, you don't. And so I would bust out there, dude, and I would point at my six-pack abs, and I would be all. You see what this says in old English, ladies? Okay. That's not a six pack. You're just so skinny, your ribs are showing. And then they would read my tattoo, dude, and they would get all scared. Because my tattoo says, what's up? You're my lady, huh? Wow, that's a lot to say on a tattoo. In old English, dude. Wow, the things they can do with henna these days. It's really creative. So then I would run up on these homeboys and I'd be all,
What's up? You're my ladies, huh? And they'd be all, no, Beto, don't make me feel. And I'd be all, it's lady time. You are so tough. I can't even stand it. Yeah, dude. And then they'd be so scared that they would have to change their shorts, dude. Every time. Because I'm super huge with muscles. You're not at all. Just a little boy. And I would be like, what's up? Where's your diaper now? Okay. I don't. Does baby need a baba? Okay. Do you need a baba? Do you want me to get you your binky? Yeah, dude. No. Remember like five years ago when Nana had to have you get rid of your binky? Yeah. Do you remember like how sad you were?
Shut up, man. I'm just saying. It just reminded me of that. And now you probably don't even think about it. I used to clean my sod off with that. No, you didn't. You slept with it and cuddled with it. They used to call me the Mexican Hulk, dude. Nobody called you that. Nobody called you that. Before I got my teardrop tattoo removed, I used to scare people at Vons. With what? My teardrop tattoo. My arms are like trunks made out of steel, dude. No. They're like pipe cleaners, bro. I can bench 350. Really? You don't even weigh a quarter of that. That's why it's amazing, dude. Okay. That's why it keeps people out, man. Back to the Mikey Show, featuring Mikey. I put things off. I do like to put things off until the last minute. Eddie. I keep a log of my insults. That must be a pretty long log. That's what she said. Oh, my. Sky. I was growing weed when I was five. Oh, wow.
Those sexy shoulders, Mike. That's the whole dance is those shoulders. Yeah, he's working. He's really getting them in there. But that face. Yeah, that face says a lot. Yeah. You're welcome. Welcome back. It's 855. Tonight will be the first and only debate between the vice presidential candidates. Cole Hamels throws eight shutout innings to lead the Phillies to a 1-0 lead over Milwaukee, winning 3-1 yesterday. If I understand this story correctly, Jamie Oliver... Iced the testicles to try to conceive a boy. Which I've never heard of, by the way. Yeah, his wife is currently pregnant with their third child. You're talking about Jules. That's his wife's name? You know Jamie Oliver's wife's name? It says right here, J-O-O-L-S. Jules. Wow. I've read the book, so, you know, I mean. Okay. Well, they already have two daughters named. That's funny names. Like Lily, I think, is one. Lumpy. First, that's not a silly name. That's a beautiful name. Lily? Is that Lily one? No. No, it's like a flower. Poppy, Poppy. Lymphoid. Poppy's one. They have two daughters, six-year-old Poppy Honey. Lymph node.
It's poppy honey. And then they have five-year-old Daisy Boo. Didn't know Daisy Boo. And so they're hoping for a boy this time, but they don't know the sex of the baby yet. So he had heard that, you know, lowering the temperature around the sperm is, you know, kind of a wives' tale to help create a boy. So what he did is he said he went out and bought adult diapers, like Depends. soaked them in water, put it in the freezer, cut a little hole in it, strapped it on, and conceived a baby. But they don't know what they're having. They don't know what they're having, yes. Dude, how ridiculous is it going to be when he has another girl? So hard. Unreal. And then, if he does, if it turns out they are having a boy, every dude is going to freeze a diaper. It's a win-win situation. It really is a win-win. Jack Black is going to star in a comedy version of The Bourne Identity. That's funny. Yeah, it's still untitled the movie, but it's basically Jack Black wakes up laying on the beach in Cuba, total amnesia, has no idea who he is or how he got there.
decides that he must be a super spy of some sort and lives his life that way. That's genius. In La Jolla, Veterans Hospital had to evacuate because one of the patients claimed that there was a bag that had a bomb in it. It was a bomb threat. Yeah, pretty freaky. They had to evacuate. Yeah, it all started. Where were you yesterday, Rob? I was. Rob. La Jolla? La Jolla. You actually were. So nowhere near La Jolla. No, no, not even close. Yeah, so it all started about 10 o'clock yesterday morning. Like Mikey said, a patient claimed that he had heard somebody else talking about how there was like a bomb in this computer bag. So, of course, they evacuate the building. They bring in the bomb squad, x-ray machines, the whole thing. And then finally, about 2 o'clock, this started at 10 a.m., 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the x-ray machine shows, no, it's just a laptop in there. and stuff that goes with the laptop. So they're now trying to find the person who initially said the thing about the bomb being in there. P1 Allie G. Allie G, you there? Hello? Maybe not. What else can I tell you? Oh, Ikea? They're getting rid of plastic bags. Yeah, it's done. Where are they going to?
Well, basically, they started this thing a while ago where they started charging for plastic bags. This was in March of 07. Well, I didn't like it when they put my couch in a bag anyway. Yeah, it's always difficult. A big plastic bag, and you're trying to haul it out to the car. I like paper. So they started charging about five cents per bag back in March of 07 to anybody who, you know, wanted a plastic bag. Well, they now have completely phased it out. and will not offer plastic or paper bags. So if you buy something from Ikea that you want put in a bag, you will have to buy one of their reusable shopping bags, which costs 59 cents each. Money, money, money. So you'll have to buy that, or else you'll have to just carry all your junk out in your hands. That is so crazy. Yeah. And what are their bags made out of? Well, they're reusable shopping bags. Hair, sea lion skin. Yeah, I don't know exactly what they're made out of. Or you could bring, can you bring your own reusable bag? Oh, of course, of course. B-Y-O-R-B. B-Y-O-B. No, B-Y-O-R-B. Reusable bag. Being your own Rancho Bernardo. Yep. Okay. Our phone number here is 5701053. And our text number is 35253. Manny is Manny. That's true.
He continued his postseason tear where he hit his 25th postseason home run last night, leading the Dodgers to a kind of surprise game one win over the Cubbies. Interesting. Shouldn't the real focus of that game be the Grand Slam? Shouldn't it? You know, I think Manny's the story there in L.A., to be honest with you. I've got to tell you. I would love to see it be the Dodgers and the Red Sox. Really? That would be an interesting storyline. The stats yesterday that they were given during the Red Sox game was that 23 out of 26 times have the first team to win in the NL division series goes on. Really? Yeah. So whoever won yesterday. 23 out of 26, you said? Yeah. It was 23 and 3. Maybe we'll see that happen. But in the AL, it was only 12 and 14. So that's kind of crazy. So you look at yesterday, it could be Philly's Dodgers. That's cool. Come on, Cubby. Step it up. Whoa. Okay. Someone's freaking out. 100 years. What the heck, dude? Rob will be at the game tomorrow night. Oh, dude. Find out where your seats are so we can be looking for you on TV. Oh, yeah. Okay. I'll find out today right after the show. I got to make some phone calls, but. You only get one, Rob. I'm so nervous about going up there, though, because the parking lot we always use, there's a.
Plus you're walking, which is, man, I'd be nervous about that too. It's called thumbing it, Mike. Hey, by the way, I wanted to mention that our friend Lori is being set up online. Gorgeous girl. And if you are single and you're looking to meet a gal, go to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. And there's a keyword section. Just type in the word Lori. And it'll take you to her page. MikeyMatch.com. And what we want you to do is fill out a little questionnaire, send us your picture, and we will be setting you up on a date with Lori, if you're picked by me. It's like Mike E. Harmony. Mike E. Harmony. Get it? Mike E. Harmony. Mike E. Harmony. I like that. Thank you. Now.
She is not the only person that is going to be up for grabs that day. What do you mean? Well, I was thinking about it, and I was going, you know, I think it's about time that we do a service to all the ladies listening in the audience, too. Oh, hello. Because I know there's got to be a lot of lovely single ladies out there. They can't be left out. No, they can't be left out. And so what we're going to do is we're going to auction off Zeth. Sorry, ladies. We're trying to raise money for charity. So we will auction off Zeth. So what we want is we want single ladies to come down to the radio station during the 28-hour show. We're going to do this in the 28-hour show. I love it. Now, we're looking for an auctioneer. A real one. A real one. The kind that does the... No, wow, you're so good at it. Maybe I should just do it. If you're an auctioneer, we want to hear from you. 570-1053 is our phone number. We would really, really like to hear from you. And when you win Zeth, you'll actually get to take him out on a date that night.
That night. The station's going to pay for it. The station's treating. But you get zest company. Which is just awesome. No, if you're a single lady. What is it, Ashley? Something really special. Oh. It's sturdy. It's sturdy. With a little slouch. The big slouch. You get to see his butt at some point, probably. Yeah, but that's only because he wears those jeans. So saggy. Now, is that going to be expensive? Like, I mean, you know. No, the bidding will start at a quarter. Okay, okay. So pretty much everybody can come. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Bidding starts at 25 cents. I don't know if I mentioned that. Oh, come on, Charlie Brown. Are we limiting it to only ladies? Of course not. Thank you for saying that. Why would we? Okay, I'm just saying. This is California. We're a very liberal state. I'm just saying.
Fair. Everyone's welcome. Everyone's welcome. How interesting. The phone would ring. You know who might come down. Hello? Oh, hey, guys. Oh, thank you. What a surprise. We're good, Dr. Wayne. What's going on? Good to talk to you guys. It's interesting you're calling right now. Yeah, it is. I'll tell you what. You guys are absolutely amazing raising money for children's hospitals. Yeah. Thank you. We're very giving. We want to, you know, help support them. Yeah. That's right. Cause I believe in. I'll be down there. Don't worry about it. I'll be down to donate money in the auction. Oh, well, no. I mean, you can actually. Hold on, Dr. Wayne. Yeah, tell me. You can actually donate online on MikeyShow.com. Yeah, there's other ways. You don't have to come down. For the Zeth segment. Are you telling me I can't give cash? Is that what you're trying to tell me here? We'll accept your donation, but you don't have to be a part of the Zeth auction. What is that? What? What the heck? Oh, I can't even believe it. I just accidentally put my credit card in the garbage.
Why did you do that? I can't even believe it. I can't use... How am I going to don't... I'm going to have to use cash, guys. I'm going to have to bring cash down there. I'm not going to be able to use my credit card online to donate money to Children's Hospital, but don't worry. I'll go get a deposit or a withdrawal from the bank before I come down there. And what did you say the bidding started at? Just a quarter. Why don't we do this like eBay does and get it over with? $4,000. That might be sold. We'll take it. I'll just mentor the kid. You're in. Mentoring. Hot mentoring going on. Do a bond drive out of there? Our phone number is 570-1053. P1 Try One is hanging on the line now. He's the guy in the Asian onesie. Do you guys remember the guy in the Asian onesie? But. He actually has something he wants to talk about. So Zeth has led him through, and I think that's fine. If the guy's got something to talk about, it's okay. He wants to talk about Manny Ramirez. Isn't that right, P1 Try One? Hey, what up, kids? How's it going? How you doing? I'm doing awesome. B-Rob, what do you think about, like, Manny, dude? Like, he's on the Dodgers, and I saw him popping bottles, dude. Now, you've got to understand. Now, hang on a second. I've got to explain. Now, P1 Try One.
He sounds like a nice guy and everything. But Zeth does tell me he calls a lot. You know, he'll call. I'm sorry. I love you guys. I know. I know, dude. We love you, too. But, you know, he calls a lot. You know, he'll call various times throughout the day. In fact, Zeth says he calls like five, six times. He called me. I've been with you guys since, like, before Ashley and B-Rock were there, dude. It's all good, dude. Hey, I want to put it out there. I think you're a cool dude. All I'm saying is that there's a lot of phone calls that go on trying to get on the air here. You called me four times during the day. the Ashley eating segment. I don't have a problem putting him on the air. I do not have a problem putting him on the air. Hang on, Rob. Hang on. All we're saying is as long as he's got a point, he'll go on the air. No, I do. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And so your point is about Manny Ramirez. Yeah, I know it's not kind of off topic, I guess. No, we were just talking about it. What did you want to say to Rob? But, dude, like, what do you think the potential of the Sox coming back, I guess, now that they do have – Dodgers have Manny Ramirez, I guess. I don't know. Coming back from where? Where are we going to come back from, sir? The competition, like, if they do – The competition? Yeah, I mean, if they do play together, the Sox and the Dodgers, it's beyond opinion is what I'm asking. I think I'm going to try to figure this one out. I'm trying. Translate it, Mike.
I'm trying to figure this one out. Eddie looks confused. Mike, should I just give him my personal number and you can call me after the show? Yes. As a matter of fact, hang on the line. I'm going to give you Rob's address. You come over today. You kids can figure it out. P1Try1, thank you for the call. Yeah, dude, I love you guys. I know it. This guy wants on the air so bad. He wants on the air so bad. That's all I'm saying. The guy wants on the air. Always. 35253. Phone number. 570-1053. We still got the YouTube clip of the day coming up. If you know an auctioneer or if you are an auctioneer, 570-1053 is our phone number. One week from today, we'll be on the home stretch. One week from today, we'll have less than an hour left on the air. I bet I'll feel exactly like I do right now.

How dare you? Eddie just pointed at Seth and went, and Seth, your boy.
I was trying to defend you, Seth. Sky, that's your boy. That's your boy, Seth. That's your boy, Seth. Seth, in your defense, you. Go ahead. Take a bow, my friend. Go ahead, Seth. What? Talk to us. What? You guys act like you're just now noticing I'm kind of an idiot. This isn't news to anybody. Did he auctioneer voice for you before he came on the air? Hell yeah, he did. And he thought he sounded pretty good? And he liked it, huh? Yeah. So where do you work? auctioneer guy. I work at the fair. That's the worst. What is the voice? I don't even know. Yeah, what's the voice, bro? It's like a southern bell. Southern bell. I work at the fair. Are you getting the vapors? I do declare. All right, thank you, auctioneer guy. Even he hates him.
This email says, Mikey, I have a real problem, and I was hoping to get some advice from you guys. I'm engaged, getting married in December. The problem is my fiance's parents hate me. Oh, that is a little bit of a problem. That is a problem. Stressful. A little back story here. When we were first dating, I cheated on her. Oh, well, that makes sense now. It was a horrible mistake, and one that we have worked out since. I would never do it again and realize what an idiot I was. This was three years ago. Her parents knew this and have never forgiven me. Her mother lets it be known that she does not like me. She flat out tells my fiancé that I'm going to cheat on her again. Family picnics must be fun. A blast. I'm really not looking forward to having them at the wedding. My fiance says it'll be fine, but I'm not so sure. What do you guys think? How do I enjoy my own wedding when I know there are people there that don't want us getting married? That's P1. Hatchet. Well, it's a tough one. Eddie, what do you think? I think it's time for a little sit down with the parents.
I think it's time to sit down and have an honest conversation with them and say, listen, I'm sure you guys have never made mistakes in your lives, but I did, and it was unfortunate. Well, you might not want to start with that exact sentence. I like it. I like it. I'm sure you guys are flawless, right? You jerks. I say have a couple beers before you do it. Yes, you guys have never heard of tough love before, but that's fine. Sometimes honesty hurts a little bit. Tough love with the in-laws. Yeah. Okay. And say, listen, jerks. Oh, I should take notes on this. This is really good. This is really good. Take notes. Okay, so jerks is what I leave for. There you go. Shape up or ship out there. No, but I think you're right, dude. You just sit down, man. You got to sit down. You have to. I mean, that's not fair to anybody to have that going on. Sky, what do you think? Ugh. How old? Did he say how old they are or no? He didn't. Okay. Yeah, this is tough. You know, I went through a bumpy patch with the in-laws prior to the wedding and after the wedding. What did you do? Well, no, I didn't do anything. There was a bit of a falling out and it kind of got a little out of control for a while. Oh, boy. So, like, to...
Picture me at that time going to have a sit down with his parents is like so unrealistic because you're so heated. Like there's so much emotion involved. And, you know, now that I'm older. Could you have written a letter? Well, there was at one point a phone conversation, but that didn't go so well. Oh. Yeah. There was a phone conversation? There was a phone conversation. Who called who? Oh, gosh. I think. They had to have called you. Yeah, no, they called me. But then, like, it was my soon-to-be mother-in-law and then also my soon-to-be father-in-law both on the phone. Conferencing you. Coming after, you know. Like, I kind of was, like, on an island having to defend myself with both of them on the phone. Get off your Fargan phone, man. Oh, I wish I could. I wish. And are you allowed to say what it was they were upset at you about? I guess. I mean, it was a really long time ago, and I'm so happy. We're, like, so beyond it now. You know, it's, I mean, it was practically, like, a century ago. But, never mind. She's not good right now. I met a decade. I met a decade. Anyway. Wow. You guys got married, what, 1842? Yes. I look really good to my age. I didn't realize you guys were vampires. Yeah. Well, it was on the Mayflower. That's right. Wonderful ceremony.
So there were a lot of things going on. You know, it kind of probably depends who you ask. I'm sure if you ask them, they'll give, you know, kind of a different reason than I had. What I believe was behind the falling out. But what we both kind of agree on was the fact that I was working for his mother. I was managing her restaurant. I had started working with Mikey. I was going to school full time, working at her restaurant and working at the radio station. I mean, I was. You know, burning the candle at all ends. And I remember this one specific day. My shift was supposed to end at 1 o'clock because it was like a breakfast joint. And Mikey, the day before, we had recorded this bit. And it was Skye's vagina broadcasting from a hurricane. And we had put a lot of time. Remember Classy. We had put a lot of time. Different time. Different time. Yeah. My vagina was a weather reporter back then. And I would report from natural disasters. Oh, my God. Bring it back. Bring it back. Bring it back. Bring it back.
And so anyways, this was like one of the first like pre-produced things that we had done. So I knew that we were going to be airing it. Couldn't you have just said, we used to do this bit. It was funny. It was funny. It's not like offensive. Come on. It was some stupid voice. After you're done with the story, do you think I could get the weather? Shut up. That's for the news, not the weather. So anyway, so I really, you know, it was really important for me to be there that day because, like, you couldn't run the bit without me there. Right, right, right. You know? So, and my shift ended at 1, and I'm packing up ready to leave. I'm sure you explained that to her, by the way. You're like, now how can I? You're like, you're a woman. You understand. How can I? Oh, no. They need the weather. So my shift was over at one and I'm getting ready to bust out of there and go straight to the radio station. And she says that she needs me to stay and close that day and stay till three. And I said, well, no, like we start doing the show like at one o'clock, you know, and I got to go. And so there was kind of this back and forth and I ended up leaving. And that was the beginning of the end.
Where it all started to unravel. You know, where are my priorities? And the other thing that you need to know is that I was, at the time, I wanted her there all the time. And I was making it very clear to her that I wanted the job to be a priority for her. But at that time, I wasn't getting paid. And the restaurant was the only way I was paying my bills was waitressing because I was interning at the time. You didn't get paid for your vagina? No. My vagina is free. Was. Thank you, Mike. Was free. Was free at that time. Feel free to not say that. Don't say that clip. But anyway, so needless to say, it got all messy and me and the boo are falling more and more in love every day and wanting to get married and wanting to be together. Like, so, basically, my point of this story is I couldn't imagine at that time. Yeah, that's the part I'm searching for. I don't even care. Stop listening. From the top. From the top. So we did this bit once. That's so ridiculous.
Oh, man. Yeah, but, I mean, I couldn't imagine, like, having a sit-down. Like, I know that's awesome advice, and that's the right thing to do. When you got married, there was still that stuff going on? Yeah, at one point. Was it bad for you? At one point, she said that she didn't know if she'd be able to attend the wedding. Oh, wow. Yeah. Ouch. Oh, man. Because she was so upset. Well. She never got a weather report. Well. Great story. Compelling and real. At that point, she said she didn't know if she could attend the wedding because, you know, the restaurant's really busy on Sundays. That's just... Come on. If you're going to go that far. I think we were both just, you know, but there was no honesty is what I'm saying on either end. Just hurt feelings. Yeah, just hurt feelings on both sides, you know, and no honesty. So it's really, it's great advice to be honest and have a sit down. But when you're so emotionally wrapped up in it, you know, like this email, like I can't imagine doing a sit down. Did you actually tell her why you needed to go?
Well, if I did, I never, like, specifically mentioned what the bit was. Like, we have this thing and we can't do it today if I'm not there. And we planned it yesterday and we worked hard on it yesterday. Do you think that she had an issue with the content on the air that you were a part of at the time? No, not at all. No? No, no. My in-laws are very cool, very liberal. So, you know, that wasn't the issue. I think there was just a lot of, you know, me leaving the restaurant. Me now kind of taken. the hubs away from his original family and, you know, us making our own family together was hard. But I'm just so glad, like, we're past it. I mean, it was brutal. It was heart-wrenching. Yeah, it was really bad. Yeah, what do you do? Stop laughing! I could have him run with hysterics. I just... I really got him. It's still getting him. I'm just thinking. Okay. Come on. I don't even want to. All right. All right. It's not even funny. I'll tell you off the head later. 570. No. Thank you. I'm putting that on my MySpace. You read my blog tomorrow. 570. I'll tell you what body part we should all do what with. Thank you. What?
570-1053. You are nuts. You ever been in this situation? Oh, that's brutal. Like a hurricane. Yeah, you ever been in this situation where your vagina plays a weather reporter from a hurricane and you get into an argument with your in-laws over it? Your in-laws just don't understand. And they don't understand and you're trying to explain, but it's the weather. It needs to be reported. Oh, my gosh, like every day. Been there. 5701053. Text number is 35253. Joe continues. But I'm only three from the ocean floor. So I live in Saratoga where you can move to Southern California just cause the rest more. It is 9.37. Records show that the train engineer from the deadly crash outside L.A. had sent a text message just 22 seconds before the crash. After a view of the NBA officiating program, it is determined that Tim Donahue was the only culprit of the big scandal that they had. Oh, really? That's what they say. Mikey, does Zeth's mustache get auctioned off, too? Extra money for that. You can pay more for that. Please. Yeah, we are getting text messages. We're going to auction Zeth off at the 28-hour show, ladies. So come on out here. Don't be scared. And Dr. Wayne. Yeah, that's right. The bidding will start at a quarter, 25 cents. Nice. And, you know, if you want to get to know Zeth, I would like to suggest, because you can see his picture and you can get to know him a little bit by reading his blogs, because they're actually really, really good. I really enjoy them myself. I think that you can get a lot of insight into what Zeth is like, because he doesn't talk very much. That's right. I'm really proud of Ash, because, you know, usually she doesn't show that kind of support for Zeth, so that's actually really nice of her. He's my friend. And I think there's a lot of ladies out there that probably are like, hmm, ooh, ooh, I'm single. So I'm trying to, you know, I don't want them to be scared. Well, I just went to his blog. Yeah. And when I click on it, I don't see a picture. But maybe it's just a picture right before you go to it. Yeah. And then it should be on the left. There should be a picture of it. No? Right. The front picture for sure. Let's see. What's that talking about on his blog? I killed a clown last night. You did? Why a clown, Seth? For fun. For fun? That's creepy. When clown hunting? You can look it up. Now I can't get to his vlog. Oh, no. It's probably because it's flooded, you know? Oh, wow. Look at that, dude. You want a hot shot? He's a good-looking...
Fucking guy. I mean, come on. And can I put this out there, too? Because Ashley said, you know, the emotional and blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada. I kind of tuned out. But ladies, if you just want a man for the evening, I'm sure he's up for that. That body's ready to rock you. Ready to rock you. You just want to throw some money at him and, you know, make him dance during the day. Ready to rock you. He's ready to kickstart your heart. Stop it. Come on. I'm putting some words out there for my body. Let's see. What's he talking about today? He says, now I'd like to take a moment to address all you clowns that stand way too close to me in line. I'm at the counter. Where's he shopping at the floppy stew store? He doesn't mean it literally. He doesn't mean literally at a place where clowns shop. He doesn't mean that literally. Who would have thought that's what he meant? The clown store.
Yeah, do you guys have any red noses in right now? Do you have any of those men's large? Yeah, do you have the red floppies in a men's large? Secure men's large. I'm at the counter doing my business and you're making me uncomfortable. Are you smelling my hair? Trying to steal my wallet? You're too close, man. If there's no room for me to turn around. Then isn't that a little weird? The absolute worst person is the one on the Bluetooth standing way too close. They're yelling at the back of your head and you can't escape because they have you boxed into the corner. And now, from now on, my first step is going to be back up and stepping on your foot. That'll teach you jerks. Hey, I cannot. Let me tell you. Thank you. I can't agree with him more. There's the close. Person in a checkout stand. Get away. There's a lot of close. No one prefers that. No one prefers that. You can smell their breath on you. I actually have a picture of Zeth on my blog, Mike. You do? Let's see. Okay, I'm nervous. Eddie, be cool. Be cool, man. He's the one on the right. With a guitar? Yeah. With the red guitar? Yeah. Same mustache. Yeah, you can notice with the mustache. I can see that.
That's exactly what Zeth's mustache looks like right now. Hey, Zeth, do we have a picture of the new stache on the website? Yeah, in the photo galleries. In the photo galleries, there are up at the top of the menu for MikeyShow.com. It says photos. Click on photo galleries, and you can see Zeth's new mustache. He's growing the handlebars. Not Zeth. He's extremely hot. Well, he is furry. That's right. Makes sense why he's unattractive. Vice presidential debate tonight in St. Louis. Come on, Palin. Yeah, this is the first one, and it's going to be the only one that they're doing. Just one. Yeah, so you better watch tonight. Must see TV. Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo spotted ring shopping in Dallas. Oh, what a great time to do it after a Cowboys loss. The curse. Come on.
Aye, aye, aye. Good point, Eddie. Of course, they will not comment on it, but many people saw them shopping at Neiman Marcus in Dallas in the ring section. Are they making a Transformers 2? Yeah. It's filming right now. It is? Yeah. I think Shia LaBeouf got it. Shia LaBeouf. Shia LaBeouf. One more time? I think he just got hurt or something. Shia La Bialoof. Shia La Biaf. Biaf. That's it. When he was in that car crash, he broke his arm or something like that, his wrist or something, and then they took time off. That's the last thing I ever heard. Yeah, they took time off, and then his, because he had to get surgery on his hand and everything, the recovery was going to take so long, they couldn't shut production down that long, so they actually wrote his hand injury into the script. Smart. Yeah. And then just earlier this week on the set, a prop dropped on his head and cut open his face. And he had to get stitches right under his eyebrow. Guy has no luck, man. Yeah, but they say after. Bumblebee? Yes, Bumblebee dropped the prop on his head. And so after they stitched him up, they say he went right back to work. He's a man. He's a man. You guys remember the story of that adopted daughter that killed her mom?
This was in Scripps Ranch. Do you guys remember this story? They're doing some investigation on that, and what do they find out? Yeah, so this happened back in May, where this 15-year-old adopted girl was accused of killing her mother with a hammer and trying to kill her father. So, like Mikey said, they're doing some searching around and looking into stuff, and what they found... is that they found a to-do checklist on this girl's cell phone, which mapped out ways to get away and how to kill her parents. And they say, yeah, the scenario that she was keeping in her notes was that she was going to kill her parents with a hammer, hide their bodies in the back of a van, drive it to a church, post Christian hate signs in the van. And then bike back home and then come home and like act all innocent like she knows nothing about it. And her parents have just disappeared. The night before she actually killed her mother, someone was on their home computer. They assume it was her searching the Internet, Googling lethal household things and also Googling parents murdered by child. Oh, boy.
Yeah, and the more they dig into this, the more it really looks like mental illness was a big deal. She was adopted when she was three days old. Her biological mother was a schizophrenic and her father a manic depressive. And she actually was really mad at her parents because they were making her go to psychotherapy. And that's one of the reasons she was really angry at them. But just tragic. So the next step in this is a preliminary hearing, which will happen at the end of the month. Is she in a kid jail? Well, they're trying her as an adult. Oh, really? So I don't know exactly where she is right now. How old was she? 15. That's terrible. That's terrible. Let's see. In Scripps Ranch, the parents are all upset because their kid's school doesn't have any AC. Yeah. I would be too, man. You guys know me in that. Oh, yeah. I can't take it. You scream like a girl. I don't scream like a girl. Practically cried. I don't scream like a girl. A little girl. No, I don't. I don't like it when it's hot. And I would not be able to take it in this environment. 12-year-old female.
The parents are lethargic and it's hard getting them to be really motivated to work and participate in class. I wouldn't even let my dog live in this kind of heat. So certainly I just feel it's inhumane for our children to be trying to learn in this kind of environment. Yeah, now they're trying to get support for this Prop S, which is on the ballot for November, which would get more money to do improvements and stuff for schools. And so they've been putting thermometers in all the classrooms and keeping like a log of the temperatures. And they say this week it was 90 degrees in the classroom. You can visibly see beads of sweat coming down the kids' faces. Their cheeks are all like red and their faces are all red because they're so hot. Sitting in class. It's not very conducive to learning, you know. No way. I said some of the kids even have to go to the nurse because of headaches and nosebleeds due to the heat. Oh, come on. Yeah, really bad. So Prop S. Prop S is what they're supporting for more monies. We are one of the most east schools and the most north school in the district. So we do not have a course after Prop S.
Here's little Olivia Jackson. It's not really that fair to our school that we don't get air conditioning and we're burning hot. As for other schools, they're nice and cool. See? Do something. Yeah, which is interesting because the San Diego Unified School District disagrees with that, saying that most schools in the district don't have air conditioning. The people that made that statement. are doing it from an air-conditioned... Of course. Thank you. The people that formulated that statement that the city rests on formulated that statement from an air-conditioned office for the city. Yeah. Ran into this problem on Friday Night Lights last night, Mike. Is that right? Oh, that's true. The AC breakdown. Only seen on DirecTV now. Oh, really? Yeah, it was a tough one. Yeah. What happened? Well, the... The coach's wife is now the principal of the school. Right. And she's got her hands full now. And one of the problems is AC is not working. Great. I can relate. I can see that problem.
But that was a lot of fun to film. Very dramatic. Very dramatic. Now it's time for the YouTube clip of the day. This is one of the stranger things you're ever going to hear. Listen, this woman, she's in California. She's using her water fountain. She's using her lawn sprinklers. Okay, well, she'd never seen a rainbow form from lawn sprinklers. She'd never seen that happen. She was a little bit convinced that maybe this was like a government thing. July 6, 2007, about 4.30 p.m. I'm just wondering what the heck is in our water supply? What the heck is in our oxygen supply of the metallic oxide salts that create a rainbow effect in a sprinkler? Perfect use of fake statistics, by the way. Perfect use of fake statistics. What is oozing out of our ground?
that allows this type of effect to happen. Oh, my. Not just around our sun and our moon anymore. Everywhere we look. You mean, wow, rainbows used to only be around the sun and the moon? Oh, you didn't know that. I did not. This is news to you, huh? I did not. You must be for the government. Look, the visible spectrum is rainbows. This cannot be natural. But it is, actually. It's natural. 100%. I don't know. It wasn't something that happened 20 years ago. It's something that's happened forever, actually. It's always happened. But now it's happening now. Now it's happening now. We as a nation have got to ask ourselves, what is going on? That's right.
What is oozing out of our ground? Oh, my God. Wow. I so badly want to know how this video made it to YouTube. Did she post it or did she actually submit it to the government? Her kid got it. I think she submitted it to the government and they laughed so much that they had to put it on YouTube. Could be. Would you like to know? Oh, you know? I know exactly how it got on YouTube. How did it? She posted it herself. Nice. Nice. How's she going to get the word out? Well, that's true. How's she going to save us all? Wow. Pretty good email about Tony Romo. Mikey, the reason Tony Romo is ring shopping with Jessica Simpson is because we all know that's the only ring he's going to get this year. That's P1 Scott. 570-1053. I sound like... You're a whining little kid. This is the Mikey Show. Better mileage tips presented by Chevron. How fast are you going right now? Really? That fast? So what's your hurry? Did you know that if you slowed down just a little, you'd get better mileage? It's true. If you drove 55 miles per hour on the highway instead of 65 miles per hour, you could go about 30 to 60 more miles on a tank of gas. It's like the story of the tortoise and the hare.
You know, slow and steady wins the race. And that also applies to city driving. When you're stopped at a traffic light and it turns green, avoid the jackrabbit start. Don't punch the gas. It's not a race. Just accelerate smoothly and gradually. And let's face it, you'll catch up to those other cars at the next light anyway. So remember, a heavy foot equals a light gas tank. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. The police officer outside your car is staring at you like you have two heads. Turns out, you do. You explain to the officer that the lobster costume you're wearing is a tribute to Rubio's for braving the cold blue waters off the coast of Chile to bring back succulent langostino lobster. Unfazed, the officer asks, why were you swerving? Tough to grip the wheel with claws, sir. He clicks his pen menacingly and starts writing. You continue to plead your case. Honestly, who can resist the bold Beach Max flavor of a Rubio's burrito filled with decadent langostino lobster, freshly made guacamole, and a creamy chipotle picante sauce? As you take the ticket with your pincher, the officer says, Son, it's a good thing Lobster Beach Max isn't expensive, because you're going to need a lot of fancy lawyering to get out of this one.
Langostino Lobster is back in tacos, burritos, and now a two-street taco plate for just $4.99, only at Rubio's. Hello, San Diego. Have you had trouble getting credit? Let's go down to the field. Upon further review, the ruling on the field is ridiculous.
Actually, I didn't really even see the play. I just blew the whistle because I had a piece of stadium hot dog in my throat. Sorry about that. I clearly made a mistake, and I'm not about to penalize a football team that fought their way back so valiantly. I should go back to my day job. First down, San Diego. By the way, you can go to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com, and see the video right now of Ashley's eating competition from earlier. All right. She really worked the camera in this one. That's right. She really did. I loved it. The really interesting part is the after effects. Yes. Her losing and her anger and upsetness was classic. Well, it all just came out. I can't hide my emotions. No, no, no. She can't. I wear them on my sleeve. She was throwing things at P1 Quimby. I was upset. And you can see the video now at MikeyShow.com if you want to. Hey, P1 B-Cubed is on the line. B-Cubed, are you there? Yeah. Go ahead. You're on the air. Well, I was just listening to your comments about the AC and Scripps Ranch. about the people making those decisions from San Diego Unified that we would be in a building with air conditioning. And I just called them one of those people. And I bet you guys are in 25-degree weather in there. Must be nice. Yeah, it would feel our way. But, no, we actually are in a building that is so old, and there's no air conditioning in it. It's located in the Hillcrest area, and it was...
In our building, almost close to 105 yesterday. Oh, no way. Yuck. So the San Diego school district works in a building where there's no air conditioning? That's right. That's right. There might be one or two rooms that have air conditioning for conferencing. But other than that, the entire building has no air conditioning. Well, first things first. I am sorry, and I hope you can forgive me for making those comments. I love you guys. I think you guys are awesome. Man, there is no way in the world that I ever would have thought that they would have you guys in a building that's not air-conditioned. 105. And we have schools in our district that go as far as the San Diego State area and as south as the National City and Chula Vista border. And those schools, I mean, they're kids in trailers, temporary trailers, and it's hot. That's terrible. hot on gravel. So they're worse off than the kids out in Scripps Ranch. I mean, I know everybody's suffering, but it's hot. Global warming. Rainbows. It's rainbows and global warming. And my pagiri. Don't forget that. Thank you. It's hot in here. Thank you. Well, listen, I think it's terrible and they should do something and give you guys air conditioning. That's awful.
Well, you know, I mean, when I was a middle school teacher, you just expected that. You know, when September came around, it was time to wear shorts and, you know, tank tops and so forth. I had a principal who would go around and measure our tank top teachers and make sure the straps weren't too wide or too narrow and that they'd be wide enough. Oh, my gosh. How bizarre. Yeah. That's weird. I think he just wanted to touch your shoulders. Yeah. Yeah. That's what it sounds like. Yeah, we did think that was kind of weird. Yeah. I think it's kind of weird. Thanks a lot. Hey, I appreciate you calling. Thank you. Bye. Zeth. Yeah, when I was in high school, none of the classrooms had air conditioning in it. And it'd get hot, and we were in sometimes those trailers she was talking about on the asphalt. Uh-huh. And we didn't have AC, but the administrative office, they had really cool AC. Dude. Yeah. That's gnarly, man. Yeah, that school wasn't cool. You should have gotten in trouble on purpose and got sent to the office. No kidding. I'm telling you, man. I am very heat sensitive. Yes, you are. Big time. Big time. Big time. Very heat sensitive. We got through everything, man. We got through everything. We did good today. We got through a whole thing. Awesome. We're done.
Done everything. I feel so accomplished. That's right. 570-1053. That's our phone number. Give us a call. Anything you want. Open forum. You can call about anything you want. I don't know. Anything else you want to talk about? Wait a minute. Hang on a second, Chad. Ocho. Ocho. Ocho. Please. Mr. Cinco. Ocho Cinco. I heard somebody say the other day they're tired of Ocho Cinco's act. I'm not. I'm not fed up with Ocho Cinco. I think he does it in good humor, you know, like in a fun way. He's not like Terrell Owens to me. Terrell Owens is more of a, you know, like disruptive. Yeah, you know. Chad has a good time. I see Chad Johnson as a fun time kind of guy. He's a character. That's right. We're the Chargers, Miami this weekend? Yep. Welcome to Miami. I'm on Miami. Eddie, how is your Philip Rivers play in fantasy football this weekend?
What do you mean, how is it? It's a good play, right, against Miami. Absolutely. He's been, him and Jay Cutler are the two fantasy studs so far at quarterback. Nice. Yeah. Nice. 570-1053 is our phone number. And you can give us a call at the beginning and end of every show. It's open phones. Mikey Show, hello. There you go. All right. All right. We got Cinco Ocho. There you go. 50, 58. 50, 58. Mike, you're Mexican. Thank you. Jonathan Papelborn. This is P13. I'm wondering, how many schools do have air conditioning? I would think most of them do. The school district claims that they don't have air conditioning except for the ones that can't open their windows like the schools by the airport. But if you can open a window in the room, then you don't need an A.C. Really? Yeah. That's pretty gnarly. Yeah, I think so. Wow. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey. What's up? It's fine that you know. Two weeks ago, I fell out of a tree because I was laughing so hard listening to you guys over the radio. I hope you didn't get hurt.
Oh, I got hurt pretty bad. Oh, no. Oh, my gosh. You were laughing so hard you fell out of a tree. Yeah, you know, your cell phones have a radio system sometimes. We have FM. Yeah. And I was just up in the tree about 25, 30 feet. And I was clipping out from one section to the other tree and slipped out, fell about 25, 30 feet and landed on my back. I have a question. Yeah. What is so funny that gets somebody laughing so hard that they fall out of a tree? I don't know. You guys just crack me up every day. You don't remember what it was we were doing? It was like at the end of the show. It was about 10, 15 or so. And something you guys were doing just cracked me up. And I stepped out of the tree and I crawled down to the canyon and went to the hospital. And when I landed, my sternum, you know, caved in. And then when I took my saddle off, it popped right back out. All right. Well, so how are you doing now? Well, I'm trimming from the ground now. I'm not climbing right now. There you go. But I just want to let you guys know, you know, you guys are funny enough that I can fall out of a tree. You're welcome. You're very, very welcome. Thank you. Thank you. P1 Gina. Hi, Mikey. Hi. Hey, what time is the auction map? Hello.
Let the romance begin. I like to play the leaders. Thank you. I don't know. I think we're going to do the auction at, does anyone know what time? 4.30. 4.30 is the time. Man, that one's better than mine. Look at that. Look at that. Good morning, Sonny. Yeah, it's a giant. It's a giant. So what are these ads? Man, I'm so excited. You don't even know. For the auction? This guy, let me tell you something. Sad Jaya can't wait to get his hands on that auction paddle. Yeah. All right, guys. Love you. I'm going to be kicking it in his RV most of the time, guys. Oh, really? Mikey's show, P1UPS, is our last call. Bring us home. Hey, Mikey. What's going on, guys? How you doing? What's up, dude? Hey, I got a question for the Oracle. Ah. Hey, Eddie, how has the games decided what Fox is going to show within the San Diego region on Sundays? It's probably up to the local Fox affiliate. and they will determine which game is going to be locally appropriate. So you're probably going to get the Angels, Red Sox, that kind of stuff. I mean, how do they decide? What criteria are they basing it on? What is most marketable? Like my fan base? As far as I know, the only experience I had as I worked with the CBS affiliate, and it was up to just them. They just would make the decision. They would go, oh, well, we want.
Well, the Chargers play in the NFC or the AFC West. So obviously you guys want to see AFC West games or, you know, it was just really weird decision making. Those jerks are probably sitting around in shirts and ties and playing golf on Sunday. That's pretty much how it went. Hey, you can probably call them though and give your two cents and tell them what you want. Right on. I'll probably do that. Really? Yeah, you can tell them what you want. I mean, if they get enough calls and they get enough, you know, emails about what they want. Come on, Brewers. Wait. The lovely and talented Missy is up next. Today she's got The Lost and Found. Songs you haven't heard in a long time. Maybe you don't want to hear again. We'll find out. You call her with your request. She can find it. She'll play it. See you back here tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show is out late. Love your mouth.
