The show featured Mikey, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Boston Rob, Ashley, and Zeth discussing a range of topics from a bizarre neti pot experiment using a Tupperware container to a risky stunt where Eddie drove a truck with Boston Rob on his lap. A caller sparked a heated debate about FCC regulation and First Amendment rights, while listeners weighed in on the meaning of the term "pre‑engaged." Boston Rob also reported from a La Jolla street dubbed Wall Street, and the crew performed sci‑fi reenactments in Mikey Peace Theater, all while promoting the upcoming 28‑hour charity broadcast for Children’s Hospital.
What happened, in order
Ghetto Neti Pot
Mikey improvises a neti pot using a Tupperware container and scalding hot water in the shower, describing the painful sensation as his head feeling like a rocket ship.
FCC Freedom of Speech Debate
Caller Mean Gene argues the FCC should not regulate speech, discussing First Amendment rights, community standards, and the vagueness of what is deemed offensive.
Lap Drive Stunt
Eddie drives a large truck with Boston Rob on his lap to test safety and bonding, leading to a chaotic near‑accident scene in the station parking lot.
O.J. Simpson Jury Update
The show notes that the jury has begun deliberations in the O.J. Simpson kidnapping and robbery trial.
28-Hour Show Tease
The hosts promote the upcoming 28‑hour charity broadcast for Children’s Hospital, including auctioning off Zeth and a cook‑off between Eddie and Ashley.
Pre-Engaged Conversation
Listeners debate the meaning of "pre-engaged," sharing personal experiences and tracing the term’s origin to Kim Kardashian’s announcement about Reggie Bush.
Mikey Peace Theater Sci-Fi
Listeners call in to guess movies from acted‑out scenes, correctly identifying The Matrix, Star Wars Episode I, and Terminator 2.
Rob's Wall Street Interview
Boston Rob interviews people on a La Jolla street called Wall Street, hearing repetitive comments about economic cycles and encountering a dismissive wealthy woman who won’t look him in the eye.

We'll be right back. Oh, baby, please
Please, please don't leave me Don't leave me Oh, baby, please Oh, baby, please Oh, baby, please don't leave me Well, I'm begging you, baby Don't leave me
No, no, no, no, no, no, no Oh, baby, please Oh, baby, please Oh, baby, please Don't need me All right, let's do this.
It is Friday morning. It's 6.04. The House is scheduled to vote today on the Wall Street bailout bill that was passed by the Senate earlier this week. The Cubs' woes continues. They get shelled as Manny goes deep again for the Dodgers in their 10-3 win. L.A. now up 2-0 in the series. Manny talks about game three. Hold on one second, sorry. That was so weird, L.A. We're going to L.A., we need one more win, and we've got to keep playing hard. You know, they're the best team out of the National League, and anything could happen.
Hmm. How about you like that? Manny. So what are you thinking, Eddie? Do you think that the Dodgers might be able to pull this thing out? It's going to be the Dodgers, or do you think the Cubs will come back? Yeah, no, I don't think the Cubs will be able to come back. It is very rare that a team can go down 2-0, and especially home games, and come back and win the series. Oof. Oof. Well, I wish it would be Dodgers-Red Sox. So who knows? Maybe it'll still turn out to be that.
It really could be. That'd be pretty cool. I would like the storyline of Manny and the Red Sox. For sure. That'd be cool. All right, let's get this sucker going. 570-1053 is the phone number, so you can call us. And, yeah, I'm going to start the morning by giving everybody a question and then call in, and we can talk about all that. And so I'll be doing that in just a second. But let me introduce everybody and let you know who everybody is. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I am 38 years old, live up in North County, which is really surprising because it seems like I was always a guy that liked living close to Mission Valley and all that, but
I'm up in North County because my wife was raised there. My wife has never lived more than 20 miles from where she grew up. Wow. Never. That's crazy. You know, a lot of people, they move all over the country or whatever. She's never lived more than 20 miles from where she grew up as a little kid. Eddie is our sports guy. He is our producer, and he knows an awful lot about sports and kind of lives, breathes, and eats sports and is also the play-by-play guy, I mean the pregame guy for the San Diego Chargers on the pregame show.
That's right. Awesome. And this weekend, it's Miami. Yeah, our first early game of the year. Yeah. 10 o'clock start. Wow. So that's a very early morning for you, right? I started at 7. Oh, my gosh. It's going to be early. Sky is rocking the black headband. I always like it. I love it. She looks good. I like it a lot. Thank you. Sky is our news girl. She's 30 years of age and went to Pioneer or Lincoln High School. One of the two. My brain is producing both.
My brain is producing both. serotonin is firing so if you had to choose which one would you pick pioneer yep you're right yeah thank you mikey thank you thank you mr mccain it was john mccain on the mikey show thanking me personally and every once in a while he'll pop in and just say hey mikey thank you i appreciate that uh shawnee oh boy he's our sound effects guy and uh he's 38 years of age and uh he wears little tiny headphones he'll be here soon he lives up in the bay area but uh next week's the 28 hour show
and he will be coming into town and so we will early mike all right yeah he's coming in early and we'll be seeing him and uh he'll be in the studio as a matter of fact let me tell you what a big deal this is we're having a microphone installed for sean what microphone will be installed for Sean in the studio so that he will have it right in between me and Rob. Oh, sandwich. Oh, sexy. Hey. You guys are cute.
We can put it down the hall or something. You'll be sitting right in the middle. Thank you. Thank you. Ashley is our assistant producer and she's our little blondie. She has perfectly dispersed bangs. Perfectly. And she does a little walk and talk on Tuesday with our girl Skye. They walk, they talk, they share, they compare. They, I don't know, let's try to rhyme something else. Conversate and menstruate.
And menstruate. Yeah, sometimes. Yeah, sometimes we do. Maybe sometimes they are synced up. Seriously. That's dangerous. That's possible. It's early. Who knows? Maybe they do. That's true. We do. Yeah, Sky, I think you actually said that, right? Oh, yeah. Several times. We sync up. All the time. Says it in the office. All big time. All big time. Boston Rob is our Boston Red Sox fan. Every winning morning show has to have one. Yep. Ironically enough, me and Rob are synced up. That's right. That's really weird.
Weird how it happened. We're not complaining. That's right. What? And tonight, Boston Rob will be headed up to Anaheim for the Boston Red Sox. Anaheim Angels of Los Angeles. Wow. Awesome. Is, like, the outfit planned? Like, do you have everything planned out? Of course. Who are you talking to? I got a costume change at about noon today. Will you put it on at a particular time? Is that the deal? Yeah. Oh, man. This has been tough. Because I have some, like, I'm going straight from here to a bunch of other things.
So I don't, like, I make one stop at home, and I've been debating, do I put the jersey on right away and wear it for the rest of the day? Or do I just fold it, put it in my car, wait once I get to the parking lot? Bless it. Yeah. Well, we usually, go ahead, Sean. Well, I was just going to say, you got to make sure you put it on at the right time, because it could affect the outcome of the game. Thank you. I think Sean was being sarcastic. We always go to the same parking lot in Anaheim. It's the parking lot. The first time when I moved out here, I went up to a game.
That's where I met my fiancé. And we burned a Johnny Damon jersey. And it's been just a great parking lot for us. Yeah. Okay. This video on MySpace, I'm in it. Oh, yeah. Put a gallon of gas, poured it all over a jersey, and let that thing go. I have a similar story. Well, don't we all, really? We have a lot of traditions when we go up there. Yeah, Scott burns bras, but, you know. That's right. Yeah, it's weird. And fatties, so. And sometimes the midnight oil. That's right. Boston Rob.
Yeah. Who's going? It is me, my fiance, her cousin, Richie, one of my good friends, his girlfriend, then Richie's father, Richie's father's father. I'm a little worried about a couple of things here. Let's talk because me too. Sounds like there may be strangers. or do you know them all oh no i know everybody you know them all oh yeah yeah good friends we christmas together and okay well then i'm not worried i what i was worried about was that there may be a couple of people there that don't know how to behave properly and superstitiously right
oh no see this group of people that i go with everybody's pretty quiet during the game the only one i get very worried about and richie if you're listening i'm sorry but richie He's got a very big mouth. He doesn't mind talking to everybody. And when I say everybody, I mean the entire stadium. And he'll stand up and call people out. Uh-oh. There usually becomes some kind of tension in the air by where we're sitting. We always find that one Angels fan that is kind of like Cam. Giving you bad karma.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dude, I'm going to hexacute you. But I'm bringing the camera. I'm going to take some video. It should be fun. I'm hoping to catch Fowl Ball. Oh, nice. I found out where our seats are. You're really happy about that, right? Third, behind third base? Yeah, behind third base. There you go. Well, there you go. He's got a big night ahead of him. And then, so Rob would be the sixth member of the Mikey Show, but there's actually seven members of the show. And the final member of the show is the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates the third junior Esquire, MD, DDS, president and CEO, as seen on TV.
Rosie. So, yeah, he is 23 years of age, and he screens our phone calls. But we'd like to hear from you. 570-1053 is the phone number. 570-1053. You can give us a call right now. I'm going to give you a question I'm going to give you a question and I want you to tell me the answer to this to win what do we have Eddie? we got some more air show tickets there you go
starting today there you go your question is your question is I'm going to make that too hard okay whose remains were just found it was a plane crash and well actually i don't think the remains were found isn't that correct sky the remains were not found but whose aircraft was just found or maybe they were yes yes late yesterday they announced a small amount of human remains were found there it is now this was a big kind of mystery oh yeah it's been going on for a while so if you can call
me at 570-1053 and tell me whose remains they were then we'll give you air show tickets ironically enough oh oh wow oh the irony oh oh yucky um well it wasn't just an irony or was there something to that morning talk show so surreptitiously announced that they were going to be giving away a prize but the question was what had most people interested it was it was a question that seemed harmless enough, of course, until the host himself grew wings and started to fly like an airplane.
But these weren't just normal wings. They were made of titanium. What the heck? That's special. That is special. It turned out the host was actually not a host at all, but a Boeing 737, which She explained his weight, but there were some other things that still needed to be answered. Oh, no. Let's see. P1 Betafish is on the line. Hi, Betafish. Hey, how's it going? Pretty good.
Who do you think, whose plane was it? Was it Puckett, the Millionaire Adventurer? Say that again. Puckett? Puckett. What's his real name? Millionaire Adventurer. Yeah. Sky, I don't know. Unless that's a nickname. I've never heard of Puckett. Do you know a legal name? Yeah, I mean, the guy has a name. Is it John Puckett? Okay. No, no, no. Just, yes. You're way off. Thank you.
Was it Puckett? The adventurer. I was thinking Vegas Sky. The millionaire adventurer. Yes, Vegas Sky has a nickname that we never knew about. New on CBS. Oh, Puckett. Johnny Puckett. AP1 Sean. Yes, sir. What's the answer? Steve Fawcett. You got it. And he is a millionaire adventurer, but his name is not Puckett. It is not. So, Sky, Pippet? Pippet. Pippet. Is it Pippet? Pippet. Pippet. Sky, what was the deal?
Well, Steve Fawcett, a millionaire adventurer, He went for a flight for like a pleasure flight on September the 3rd of 2007 and never came back and nobody like knew what happened and they searched for like a month and then finally had to give up and, you know, declare him dead. And then some dude was hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountain range earlier this week and found like his ID, Steve Fawcett's ID, like scattered, but didn't see remains or a plane or anything like that. So he brought the ID to authorities and then they, you know, had a search crew go out and they just found the wreckage of the plane and a small amount of human remains. And investigators say it looked like the single engine plane just slammed straight into the mountainside.
Oh, man. And he probably just died on impact. Hey, dude, I'm going to give you tickets to the air show. Hang on the line, OK? All right. Thank you. Hang on. This morning, for the second day in a row, I woke up, and my sinuses was going crazy. My sinuses was going crazy. And I take Claritin every day, and I use that Nasonex nasal spray. And so anyway, I'm in the shower, and I think to myself, you know, I got to use that neti pot, because it's that neti pot. Yeah, that's what's up.
Don't do it. Now, for those of you that don't know, the neti pot looks like a little teapot, only it's made of beige plastic, and you fill it with warm water, and then you put a saline solution in it, a little packet of saline, and you stir it up, and then you stick the little teapot into your nostril, and you tilt your head to the side, and you lift, and you open your mouth. and what it does is it goes into your sinuses and it clears out
your sinuses and it pours out the other nostril that must be the yuckiest feeling ever it's pretty gnarly sounds fun and you get like a taste when you do it too salty taste saline is salt saline is salt I think you also get kind of a booger taste too well this morning And I, you know, I'm in the shower and I know that when I get out of the shower, I got to use the Nasonex. And I don't want to use the Nasonex in a messed up sinus condition.
I want to use the Nasonex in a fresh, clean condition. Okay. Okay. And so I jump out of the shower, which I hate doing because it's cold. And we have a little rug right as soon as you get out of the shower, then tile, then rug. So you sit nude, Indian style. The other one. I sit nude, Indian style in front of the one that's in front of the tub. Oh, okay. My bad. This one's in front of the shower. Get it right.
And so I have to leap from one rug to the other because I don't want to slip and fall on the slippery tile, which is a sight. But it sounds dangerous to leap while you're all dripping wet. Yeah, but I think that the hysterical factor kind of... No, oh, definitely hysterical. Definitely. Of a little nude cold me. Like a little Sprite. Yeah, a little Sprite, you know. Through the meadow. You know, hopping from one deal to the other. So I, you know, I hop over to the sink and realize, oh, my wife had gone through all of
the drawers uh the night that i was here at the radio station doing my fantasy football draft this was about a month ago she'd gone through the drawers and she'd taken all the stuff that she didn't think i used anymore and she threw it out you know oh wow uh you know okay and so you know it's just a it's a uh you know it's a lack of communication but we got it all figured out and from this point forward you know we're good to go yeah but uh boy that neti pot was all done it was all gone and everything and uh you know so was the saline solution the little packets of saline solution were they were gone and so there i am looking through everything i'm thinking maybe
that's under the sink no not under this maybe it's in one of these no not in those doors okay so i said hey listen i don't get to do the neti pot whatever i get back in the shower i'm sitting there and i'm thinking no this is bad i can't i can't i have to do something action has to be taken And so, if you go to the grocery store, they now have these disposable Ziploc containers that you put leftovers in, okay? Oh, yeah. They come in three different sizes, small, medium, and large, and they're square. Yep.
Try to picture the medium ones, okay? And we have one in the shower that we use for Jake. We fill it with water, and we pour it over Jake's head to get the Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo out of his head. Mm-hmm. And so, hey, listen, I decided I was going to improvise. Shut up. No, Mike. Come on. I like it. Mike, no. Come on. I'm going to say no to you, sir. So, first of all, I had to sterilize it because I know it's got baby shampoo in it, okay? I can't believe this.
And so the way that you sterilize it is you hold it underneath the shower and you rub your hand in it. That's how you sterilize it. Wonderful. Okay? Okay. You got to rub your hand in it. Sean, I'm sorry. That's what they do at the hospital. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You got to rub your hand in it. Oh, my. And rinse it with water, you know? Right. And that made me feel like, you know, hey, all the shampoos out of it now, it's completely sterilized. It's like opening up, you know, what do they say, hermetically sealed pack, you know. For sure. And plus a little shampoo will probably help clear you out. Absolutely.
Right. I mean, that's got some kind of cleaning agent in it. It's got to. You're making Sean uncomfortable. And so I get that done and then I fill it with water. And now I've got my ghetto neti pot. Okay. But no saline solution. No saline solution, but ah, who needs that, right? Yeah, because you got Johnson and Johnson in there. Because you figure they must have just put that saline solution with a neti pot for giggles. You know, like, who knows why they put that there, but I don't need it. I don't need it.
I don't need it. Right. I like where this is going. I do not. I do too. All I need is the water from the shower to make my ghetto neti pot work. And a soapy piece of Tupperware. And a soapy piece of Tupperware, basically. You're good. All right. Now, one thing that I didn't take into account was that they do instruct you to use warm water and not boiling hot lava water that I shower with. And I didn't take into account that I get desensitized to it. The outside of my skin gets desensitized to the hot water because it's hot and your skin
is, you know, it's pretty, you know, it gets rough and it's used to the hot water. But the inside of your nasal cavity... Oh, my God. You are a crazy person, bro. The inside of your nasal cavity is not as rough and tumble. It's sensitive. It's not as rough and tumble as the outside. So I fill up the little Tupperware deal. Yes. And I... I'm obviously smart, so I step away from the shower head. i gotta be over here i gotta be over here you know room to work yeah i gotta have room here okay so i i hold my ghetto i hold my ghetto tupperware up to my nose in the shower
and i pour my turn my head to the side and it starts to pour in and that boiling hot water hits my nasal passages and i thought that my head was gonna launch off of my body like a rocket ship. Wow. This is what it sounded like. So it worked. I'm something else.
I'm something else. You need to consult your wife before you do anything. I mean, just picture the dumbest guy you've ever seen. Just like the dumbest guy and then multiply it and you got me in that shower. That is genius. Mike. Oh, dude, just dumb, you know. You are electric. And so I'm like, well, I better change the temperature and try to go. Oh, no, no, no. Well, you know, I needed to clear out.
Give up would be the best advice ever. Oh, yeah. Like, seriously, that's the wisest advice you could possibly. Just, dude, hey, hey, hey, hey, bro. It's all good. It's all good. Holiday day. Wait, get the neti pot. Get the neti pot. Later. Later. After work. No, no, no. This is a perfect idea. Use my Tupperware with no saline in the shower with scalding hot water. I'm sure it will work just fine. 570-1053 is our phone number. P1 McGain is on the line.
No. P1. Who is it? What is your name? P1 Mean Gene, Mike. What's up, dude? Dude, I wanted to talk to you about something. What's up? I'm in law school and a debate came up this week. Uh-huh. Now, I figured you'd be the perfect person to talk to about this because I figured you'd have a big persona on this. First Amendment of rights. Freedom of speech. OK. FCC. Now, I'm I'm conservative by nature. I'm a Republican. But I don't believe that the FCC is in any way part constitutional, partly because the First Amendment strictly states that the federal government can't make any laws to regulate freedom of speech. Radio, news, paper, whatever, what have you.
Scroll my class. She doesn't feel the same way. She actually, in part, said the FCC should be more regulated because too many people on mainstream go overboard and pretty much, you know, just kind of blasphemes the radio waves. Now, wait a minute. If I'm to understand you correctly, she believes that the role of government should be larger. Yes. Okay. She wants bigger government. Peter government, which is constitutionally unfounded. That's not, you know, that's the reason we had the Bill of Rights.
And, I mean, ever since 1934, when the FCC actually came into commission, I think it was either 34 or 32. Anyway, when it came in, it, you know. That was awesome. I felt really smart. 34, 34, 34, obviously. Go ahead. And, you know, when it came into commission, the purpose of the FCC was to not regulate what was said over the radio. Okay. It was to regulate radio waves because there was too many radio stations going on. Okay. But ever since that time, you know, especially, you know, you look at, you know, with, you know, Sirius had to come online, you know, with the newspaper,
the media being so liberal these days. People are so regulated that they can't even expressly, you know, they can't express themselves to what our founding fathers really wanted. And that's where I wanted to get your opinion on, Mike, is what do you think, man? Do you think that plays a good part in what it does or does it not? Dude, I think that that is such a cool question. I think that that is such a great, great question. And here's what I think. First of all, I think that the FCC is entirely too vague in their definitions of what we do. They're entirely too vague.
What they call it is community standard. And what that means is that we as San Diegans and everybody listening to my voice right now are the community. And what my responsibility is, is to abide by community standards, meaning that we as a whole get together and we decide as a whole, not in any written down way, but just in a very vague and sort of, hey, don't we all know this kind of way? right what the community standard is meaning let's say that somebody thinks that um talking about farting is doesn't meet the community standard they can file a petition with the fcc if somebody
talks about farting however if somebody talks about farting but they don't call it farting And they call it passing gas. Right. A fragile one. That same exact person whom didn't feel it met the community standard before now feels that it does. Does that make sense to you? I do, but here's my question to you, Mike. Okay, First Amendment right gives us the freedom of the press and the federal government not to regulate it. Meaning that it is your constitutional right.
You, Mike, you know, Eddie, everybody. If you want to give the news, what you guys do, you guys give the news, and newsworthy is to your discretion, not mine. I have a choice to listen to it or not listen to it. If you want to talk about farting, that's your right. If someone else doesn't like it, that's not their constitutional right to have you arrested. I agree with you 100%, and I'll take it a step further. I'll take it a step further. As a guy that is very open about my faith, I'm very open about my faith on the air.
I believe that people that go on the air that do what I did before I had this Holy Spirit making me different have every right to do it. If there was a old Mikey show that was still on the air, I would never suggest that people take that off the air ever. That's why we live in America. Now, if I did feel that way, I just need to go to another country. There's other countries that will absolutely make it that way to where a guy can't go on the radio and say this, this, this, and this. It's a person's constitutional right to be able to go on the air and do a show like they want to do.
I just don't have to listen to it. Sky? So, guy on the phone, forgot your name, sorry. So are you saying that you think that the FCC shouldn't be able to regulate any content? So if we want to go on the air today and start dropping F-bombs and S-bombs and whatever, like you think that that should be all right? Let me ask this, Skye. What do you think the First Amendment means by saying the federal government cannot regulate. Okay, so your answer is yes, we should be able to say whatever we want because that's what the Constitution says. Absolutely. How do you feel about that, Mike? If we are interpreting the Constitution as it was laid out, we have to do two things. A, we have to ask
ourselves what the spirit of the agreement was. We have to ask ourselves that. And then we have to ask ourselves whether or not we want to apply it like the spirit of it, or if we want to apply it as exactly what it says, which is life. In life, we have to make that decision. I don't like it, but I think he's right. I think he's right. If we truly have freedom of speech, that means that we have freedom of speech it doesn't mean that we have freedom of some speech
and uh you know what kind of wild wacky world would this be if we were allowed to go on the air and say whatever we want i'll tell you what kind of wild wacky world it would be the same one that we live in off the radio i mean if you're listening right now and you're thinking to yourself, oh my goodness, you can't go on the air and say the F word. Do you mean the same F word that you hear at work? You know, that's broadcast over those airwaves, you know, not the ones on the radio, not the FM airwaves, the ones in the room you're in because you hear
them. So it's all about choice. You know, it's almost easier to do it with the radio because you just turn that off if you don't want to hear it or you listen to something different. You know, You make that choice. But if it's freedom of speech, it's got to be freedom of speech, in my opinion. Now, what would that look like and where would it take our society and blah, blah, blah? Hey, listen, we don't have regulation right now in the Internet. It would look like the Internet. And the only thing that I have an issue with is when something is being said, it's hurting someone, and there are constitutional rights built in to stop that. Yes. Now, that's a different point entirely because there's a difference between freedom of speech as in where freedom of speech applies to the news or giving information.
Now, when you give false information, that's what's called lying. You don't have the freedom to lie. Right. And you also don't have the freedom of speech to walk into a crowded movie theater and yell fire. You can't do that. And so there there are limitations to it. So, yeah, I don't really necessarily like it. But do I think that people should have the right to be on the air and cuss if they want to? Yeah, that's the country that we live in. That's our you know, it should be our constitutional right. I wouldn't choose to listen to it. But if I believe in the spirit of the Constitution, it's that we're supposed to be able to have freedom of speech. I do not believe that we should be allowed to go on the air and say, I don't like this
person that's in this big political position, and I think that you should hurt him, and I think that you should, I can't do that. That should not be the case. And that, by the way, is what happens on the internet right now. That's what MySpace is all about. On MySpace, which is a community unto itself, you can go on and say vicious, awful things about, kids can go on and say vicious, awful things about other kids that hurt those kids so bad it's worse than punch them in the face and uh i do believe that there should be laws that regulate not being able to hurt others with your words or with your actions or anything else on the internet well there is it's called slander i mean that's illegal people aren't going to be
able i don't think that there are slander cases going on right now on my space and but even though they're being slandered well that's because they're 15 mike i mean they don't there's adults doing it too though brother you know that right you know that there's adults that go on there and say about their adult friends hurtful things and uh make up lies and do you know what i mean i mean that myspace thing is about the you know that stuff exists in it so you know but i i gotta be really uh if i'm gonna have the opinion i gotta have the opinion you know because my whole thing is mike hey dude i can't i i wish i could keep talking to you about it but i can't i mean honestly i would really like this is a great conversation everything but we got a 28 hour show coming up

I consider myself the perfect Mexican. Wow. Eddie. I love Christmas. Sky. I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. I'm just rarely wrong. Sean. You know, I'm really terrible at getting gifts. Yes. Boston Rob. Keeping it petite. That's what I'm doing. That sounded hard.
And Ashley. I don't get along. Very well, I don't think, with, like, normal, boring people. Oh, come on. Wait a minute. It's the Mikey Show on The Rock. Welcome back. It's 643. Midtown Manhattan is crawling with paparazzi after the whole Brangelina crew returned to the U.S. yesterday. The Phillies are up 2-0 over the Brewers with a 5-2 win yesterday. Shane Victorino.
He had the big shot, hitting a grand slam. The Brewers pitcher, CeCe Sabathia, says the entire loss is solely on him. Wow. I'm sorry. Which cut? Cut 57. I mean, you know, I need to come out here and pitch a good game, and I didn't do that. So you can blame this loss squarely on me. It's your fault. I blame you. Mikey, Mucinex makes a nose spray that works wonders. That's P1 Taquito. That sounds good to me, because you know what that Mucinex does?
That Mucinex is pretty powerful stuff. Yeah, you like that stuff. Yeah, a doctor told me about it one time, and he was real right. If nobody knows about Mucinex, it's over-the-counter. It used to be prescription only. Now they sell it over-the-counter. Yeah. And you've seen the commercials with the little booger guys. Cartoon. Yeah. Boogers. Yeah. It's gross. Smell rockets. And like phlegm, that's what it is. It's cartoon phlegm. Oh, my favorite. But what it does is it just makes that very, as they say, loose. Oh.
So it all drains away. Oh. Get a lot of these going. Okay. Okay. I didn't want to go that far. I didn't mess up. Okay, yeah, that's not necessary. Really gross. All right, you guys. Really gross. I think I'm going to send Zeth out to go get some Mucinex for me. I think I'm going to have him get both, the nose spray and the pills. they're like horse pills you know i won't take them both i'll just read them both and look and see which one saw the concern on my face now sky immediately had to look like don't be like you uh a mikey that millionaire that millionaire's wallet had over a thousand bucks in it and was
found over a quarter mile away from the crash site that's p1 trauma sky you know anything about that yeah there was i believe it was like a thousand and five dollars found and um a couple different forms of id were found in like um a bush area yeah like he said far away from the actual crash site and that's what prompted them to search in that area and find the wreckage yeah uh mikey this is the second day you forced me to start my day with an image of you naked in the bathroom is this becoming a habit p1 charger She probably stopped doing that
Let's see Hey Mikey I must have missed it But where did the voice come from Where you say Oh thank you That's P1 Charger fan Thank you Oh thank you I like to play the leader Thank you And there it is Boom goes to dynamite Nice This text message says Hey Eddie Is there any way to find out If the Chargers are going to wear Home blues or powder blues For the Patriot game That's P1 Charger Johnson Oh, well, I believe that. Oh, my gosh. That was really weird.
For the Patriots games, they are going to wear the powder blues, and they wear them twice a year. I believe the second game is going to be the Raider game, which is a Thursday night game. With that new, and now it's not new. It's like a season or two seasons old, I forget. But the new uniform look that the Chargers have, those powder blues are strong with that new format. I like it. It looks really good. Oh, boy. Here it comes. Might as well get this text out of the way and get going.
Oh, gosh, what? Oh, my, what could it be? Oh, what could it be? I'm so concerned. Mikey, does Palin know any other words besides Maverick when describing McCain? McClain. McClankle and McClinkle. Use a thesaurus, lady. That's P1 Nakia. How dare you? Nakia. She knows doggone it. Yeah. Don't you know? Don't you know? Don't you know? Alaska. Uh-huh.
She knows lots of good words. Hockey. She knows that. Well, last night, yesterday starting from, for me, from noon until 9.30 last night, my wife and I were go, go, go. And I T-voted the debates, but we were not available from noon to 9.30 last night. So I didn't see a second of it, which killed me. I wanted to see it so bad I wanted to see it. And I T-voted it, and I'll watch it. But please, guys, tell me.
Talk to me. I think that it was clear that both sides had a specific strategy going in. Yes. You know, Joe Biden was very old-school political. As far as debating goes, he wants the facts out there. He's going to tell you what's bad about McCain, what's good about Obama, and give you a little personal antidote of why it's relatable to him. And he has facts, and he will give you the facts, or what he considers the facts, and lays it on the line, puts it on the table. And there you go, and debate it.
And Palin, her whole strategy was, oh, I'm an outsider here. I don't know about this political stuff. Yeah. But I do know that I love America. This is the way I want to go. I'm just a hockey man. I want to talk to you other moms. And, you know, you should vote for us because we're Mavericks. Well, it's just, you know, so it was very clear they had, you know, specific things going in. And, you know, I thought they both accomplished what they wanted to accomplish. And, you know, Sarah Palin, even though she had really no substance to her debate, she didn't embarrass herself, which a lot of people thought going in. You can listen to any pundit today.
No, no, they're definitely saying that she was very, very strong. But at the same time, if I were her, I would have been a little embarrassed. I mean, there were questions that she, like, flat out refused to address. She had an agenda. So she wasn't going to actually address certain questions because, like I said, she had an agenda. But he's right. They are saying today that even though Biden won the debate, according to the polls, they're saying that Sarah performed. Those wouldn't be CNN polls, would they? Yeah, it depends what you're looking at. All different polls are saying he won. After the debate, I switched to all the different channels, and every one of them had a different opinion.
NBC had Palin clearly winning. Channel 10, or ABC had a draw. CBS had Biden clearly winning. So, I mean, it's... And when I got home last night, Fox News was on, and Palin clearly won. That's a surprise. That's a surprise. But everybody does agree that she did perform better than expected. Well, you know, I mean, I think she clearly wins the personality debate. She's winking at the camera. She was doing, like, sportscaster, like, facial stuff to the camera. I was just going to say, she's very smart in that she never really addressed the moderator directly.
She only addressed the camera. So you really felt like she was talking directly to you. She's good at it. Well, Boston Rob said in his yesterday email that he watched the debates, and his sentence is, I really liked how Sarah Palin talked like a regular person. I loved it. That's what a lot of people are saying. And that's her whole agenda. I'm just a hockey man. Yeah, that's what she does. Don't you know? I bought that. I bought into it 100%. I don't know what the Senate is. Right. I'm a hockey man. Yeah, but it was very clear also that Joe Biden was not going to go after her.
Because, you know, everybody says if he goes after her, like, she kept saying the name of the lead commander in Afghanistan wrong. She was saying his name wrong, like, all night. But Biden didn't even acknowledge it. Yeah. It's like, it's either McClellan or I don't know. I don't know. I don't know the name. laugh. Why should I know the name? Who are we talking about the what? Sarah Palin was saying the name wrong. Of who? The command in charge of the war in Afghanistan. Because they were talking about the war in Afghanistan. But Biden didn't even touch it. The American commander. But Biden didn't even
touch it because everybody was saying that he can't attack her or go after her because then he'd be looked at as sexist, beating up on a woman. So he didn't even go there. All his attacks were against McCain. It was interesting. I can't wait to watch it. And Mike, there was a point where Joe Biden almost cried. Oh yeah, again. About his family? Yeah, I don't blame them, man. That's a heavy thing. Yeah. So, that's it. You don't get any more of it. They only did it once, and they're not going to do it again. That was good. There will be more presidential debates.
Yeah, two more of those. So, we'll get to see McCain and Obama go at it again. I'd much rather watch Palin and Biden. Oh, yeah. Any day. Me too. It was great. Do you have a positive or negative reaction to, you know, how the brain just kind of absorbs things in a different way? Do you have a positive or negative reaction to the color red or to the color blue? Which does your mind sort of see as positive and which one is negative if you had to make that choice between blue and red, Eddie? I would say red is negative, blue is positive.
What about you, Sky? Yeah, I was saying the exact same thing. Ashley. Rob. I guess if I had to choose, yeah. They're both good colors for me. I like them both. Yeah, you look great in both colors. No, I'm not. Sean? Same thing, yep. It's so weird. CNN, I don't know if they still have it up, but they did. Oh, all the graphs? All the pie charts? Well, and they have this logo. They have a logo for this election season.
And the election and the logo is a picture of Obama and a picture of McCain. Obama's picture is in blue and McCain's picture is in red. And then I got Newsweek yesterday and Obama's picture is in blue and McCain's picture is in red. And they said, and the headline for that article was the cool, the cool, the cool character versus the hothead or something like that, you know? And I just thought, wow, that's really interesting what colors do to the brain.
Boy, that McCain is bad, isn't he? That red. I would think a lot of it has to do with like the red stage. The red and the blue. And I thought that, I remember thinking that yesterday as I was walking and said, should I bring that up? Yeah, because last night on CNN, because that's what I watched, if you watch it in HD on the side, they had these pie charts for their political pundits. In the states. So throughout the thing, they were updating their thoughts, and Palin was in red, and Biden was in blue. So that's interesting.
Red states, blue states. But you know me. I go psychological. Right. I love the psychology stuff. 570-1053 is a phone number. Oh, we got through it. It's all done. Everyone survived. 570-1053 is the phone number, and our text number is 35253. Next hour, Rob's going to sit on Eddie's lap, and they're going to go for a drive. Oh, dang.
You know, because I was talking about how hypothetically I thought that that would be fun to do with my two-year-old son. It was a bonding moment for me with my dad when I was a kid. And, you know, we can test a few things. A, is it safe? B, is it a bonding experience? And so, uh... I don't get any funny ideas there. Don't bond too much. Mikey, Mikey, Mikey. Yo, you don't even know what stupid is. The Mikey Show is on. It's about to get all stupid up in here. Better mileage tips presented by Chevron.
How fast are you going right now? Really? That fast? So what's your hurry? Did you know that if you slowed down just a little, you'd get better mileage? It's true. If you drove 55 miles per hour on the highway instead of 65 miles per hour, you could go about 30 to 60 more miles on a tank of gas. It's like the story of the tortoise and the hare. You know, slow and steady wins the race. And that also applies to city driving. When you're stopped at a traffic light and it turns green, avoid the jackrabbit start. Don't punch the gas. It's not a race.
Just accelerate smoothly and gradually. And let's face it, you'll catch up to those other cars at the next light anyway. So remember, a heavy foot equals a light gas tank. And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. The police officer outside your car is staring at you like you have two heads. Turns out, you do. You explain to the officer that the lobster costume you're wearing is a tribute to Rubio's for braving the cold blue waters off the coast of Chile to bring back succulent langostino lobster.
Unfazed, the officer asks, why were you swerving? Tough to grip the wheel with claws, sir. He clicks his pen menacingly and starts writing. You continue to plead your case. Honestly, who can resist the bold Beech-Mex flavor of a Rubio's burrito filled with decadent Langostino lobster, freshly made guacamole, and a creamy chipotle picante sauce? Simpson kidnapping and robbery trial. The Rays enjoyed their first playoff game. They beat the White Sox 6-4. Evan Longoria goes deep twice. He talks about his two home runs. You know, I was nervous.
I think if you're not nervous in this situation, you know, you're really not soaking in the moment. I mean, I was anxious to get up there, and, you know, he made a couple mistakes, and that's what you're supposed to do as a good hitter is hit the mistakes. I knew he was going to try to get ahead early in the first at-bat, so, you know, I was planning on swinging first pitch no matter what. The thing I appreciate about Evan Longoria is how absolutely forward-thinking and progressive he is by marrying Eva and deciding to take her name instead of having her take his name. See, I thought that was
Eva Longoria. After a sex change operation? Now playing baseball. Far and away my favorite Desperate Housewife. Well, please. I think everyone would agree. Eva Longoria? Welcome back. For those of you that know and want to be updated, Zeph is on his way to get me some Mucinex nasal spray. we were concerned extremely and uh also those mucinex horse pills okay good um that smell weird is this a little known fact all right i'll give them a whiff the pills themselves i do not want to whiff them the pills themselves smell weird which i think is uh kind of odd um we are still
here we were able to survive that last break ah it's amazing well i think we're getting better at this, guys. Well, I was a little concerned because of your recent emails that... Have you got an email from her lately? Yeah. About what? Have you read her bottom thing, her little message? Oh, under my signature? Her signature thing? Dude. Well, I've always had a signature, which is like... We need to talk about this. I've always had a signature, which is like my name, email address, and I think phone number here at the station. I've always had that. She's added a little personal... She's added. Just a line. Yeah. On there.
You know what it says? Please consider the environment before printing this email. Isn't that cool? Love it. Thank you. I read that the other day, and I thought, the rocks on this lady. I almost threw up. The rocks. I almost threw up. I almost threw up. I'm sure you almost threw up. I did. Yeah. I'm sure you had to run to the toilet just in case. And what was coming up. Yeah. I'm sure. I'm sure. Do you know, Eddie? Oh, Eddie. Gross. Do you know that I read that for the first time? When did you add that? I want to say a couple weeks ago.
It's been at least a couple weeks I've had that on there. Because the first email I got from her where I saw it. Awesome. I just stared at it for a second and then I hit reply and I was like, okay, never mind. I hit print. You did? And then you threw it away and you were like, I better print that again. Maybe I'll need it. Oh, I got to double check something. No, I changed my mind. Don't need it. Really? You did not do that. I did. You did not. I did. I don't believe you. I don't believe you. That's fantastic. You're better than that. I mean, is this where we... This is now where we've come. What's wrong with it?
You're now telling me I have to... I'm not telling you. I'm just asking you to consider it. I'm just calling you. I'm shaming you. I've ruined the earth because I printed your email out. You don't have to always print things. You know, some things you can just respond to or look at on your computer screen. That's right. That's the beauty. I don't think I realize this. I don't know that. I wasn't speaking directly to you. I just put it there for a reminder for everyone. Most people do. Like, they don't just print every email they get. Well, I'm just making people think. That's what it is. Just making people just think a little bit. Make people think.
Let me tell you something. It's not bad. Sky wrote me an email, and she was giving me some information on the email, and then I read her signature. Yeah. And I really needed the email information that she had given me, but she made me think twice about it. So what I did was I hired a scribe, and he came over. Oh, really? Mike, you hired a scribe. I recited her email. I recited her email. You're looking up in the yellow pages under scribe. His quill. Yes. He wrote it on a stone tablet so we wouldn't waste paper. It's more green.
That's more green. Right. Well, what do we do? What do we do? If we're not going to print the email, how do we? What do we? How do we? Good question. What do you do, Skye? Because we don't want to waste paper, right? That's bad. Because we're wasting trees. If you are printing those suckers. No, I'm just saying, if you don't have to, don't. Just remember all the info. And I didn't put this, but it's also good to print on both sides of the piece of paper. You know, like if you use it and then you're throwing it away, just flip it over and put it back in the printer. You know what would be another great idea, Skye? What? And I think I might do this myself. Yeah. Is put as well a website interested in going green.
Check out flexyourpower.org or whatever, whatever. I like you and your thoughts. I like you and your thoughts. Flexyourpower.org. I just want to do business. I just want to do business. I want to see what flex is. Why do I have to be reprimanded? It's maybe where you learn to save energy and stuff like that. I'm not reprimanding you. You know what I mean, Skye? What do you do instead, though? Yeah, I like that. And put that down there just in case people didn't know or they're bored at work. I think that every time you print an email, you should print or plant a tree. Yeah, yeah, I do. Eddie, it can't hurt. That's an awesome idea, Eddie. That is awesome.
Let me tell you. I like you, Eddie. It can be kind of tiring, but it's worth it, you know? Well, every time you print an email, Al Gore dies. Yes. A little piece. Yeah, at least a little piece. A little piece of Al Gore dies. That is ridiculous. If you want to save Al Gore, stop printing your emails. Okay, what would you rather have, that or one of those cutesy little quotes like, Oh, a songbird lives in my heart for you. Or something like that. A songbird lives in my heart for you. I never got that one. I would rather you change your signature right now to a songbird lives in my heart for you. That would have brightened my day.
That would have brightened me a day. I guarantee you I won't print that. I dare you. I dare you, sir. Do you know these folks? 570-1053. Do you get these little signatures? Well, I got the idea actually from an email I got from my girlfriend up in the Bay Area. She sent it to me, and I saw that in her signature, and I was like, hot damn. That is what I need. What did it say? No, it said exactly what mine says. Please consider the environment before printing this email. And did you? Did you consider the environment before you printed it?
Yeah, and I didn't print it. Now, what are you going to do when you need to print? Oh, well, I'm going to still print when it's necessary. But, I mean, I'm not just... You realize the paper's already made. I don't print all willy-nilly. The paper's made. Yeah, but the amount that we go through it, how fast we go through it, is up to us. By the amount of emails that you send out? No, by the amount of stuff you print. You know what you're doing. Stop it. I want to know, though. Grow up is a simple concept. I really want to know. I'm so confused. You're dramatic is what you are. I really want to know.
What if we really thought about it and we didn't print? What then happens? Have we saved the tree? Are we really? A tree? We're saving trees, yes. Have we saved A tree? Why can't you just, after you print it, recycle that paper? Why do you have to throw it away? What a tree. Hello. Of course you do. Well, first of all, Rob, that's a given. You do that any time, but you print. So I print as much as I can so I can recycle more. No, you print as little as you can, and what you do print, you then recycle, Rob. Get it?
I beg the difference, guy. Well, I would just do them both. Oh, a happy medium? Is that what you're saying? We're both recycling. I'll just recycle your email by hitting delete. Yeah, that's fine. Don't print it. Just delete. I wouldn't know if there is really, like, is there really a run going on on needless printing? Like, do we really needlessly print? Yeah, you know, are we really like, ooh, that's a printer. Some people do, you know.
They'll print out, like, ten e-mails. And you know what you could do? You could just take one piece of paper and write yourself notes from all ten e-mails. Or you can copy and paste from different e-mails and print them all on one sheet of paper. Oh, yeah, I do that all the time. Yeah, instead of printing 10 pieces of paper, you're just printing one piece. It's kind of a good idea, that part. I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. I don't mind copying and pasting stuff, but I'm still printing. I hate wasting paper. But you're printing less. See? I wonder how many trees can actually... If I could see hard numbers, I may be convinced. If somebody can produce a hard document for me that says,
if you just... That you would print. Yeah, that I'd have to print it out and review it. But if somebody could say to me, listen, if we did this, This is how many trees you would save. You would save an entire forest. I'd be like, I'm in, man. But if you just could save only one tree, then it's not worth it. No, she's got me there, too. It's not. She's got me there. It's not. It is. It's not. It's not. It's not one tree. P1 Avocado is on the line. Hi, Avocado. Hey, what's up? What's up?
I'm just wondering if she's so concerned, why doesn't she just text message somebody or call them instead of wasting five minutes to make an email? she can make two minutes to just text message or call somebody. Big yes, Skye, because when you're emailing, you're ruining the environment. Well, no, that argument doesn't make any sense. Yeah, it does. It does, too. You're not thinking about it hard enough. Why don't you text message instead of emailing? Because when you email, you know how many trees you're messing up? Well, you can't print a text message or you can't print a phone call. Exactly.
Don't give them the opportunity, Skye. I like you. I finally got it. Okay, whatever. What's up, Obama? Obama? Why am I Obama? You know why. That's right. P1 Jackie Treehorn. Good morning, everyone. What's up? Hey, I got a solution instead of the trees. How about going papyrus like ancient scrolls were written on them? Yeah. How about that? Let's get some papyrus, huh? You can go with the quill, the quill feather with the ink feather, you know? Yeah, you bunch of quill.
Okay. Whatever. Let's start going back and writing on caves. Yeah. Why don't we do that? Hieroglyphics. That's right. I'll make my grocery list that I usually want to print out. I'll put it on the cave wall. There you go. And then I'll memorize it. That's not a bad idea. We could consider it. Just for your consideration. Right. Just for your consideration. Please consider that. For your health. Just consider it. Just for your health. Really? 5701053. Text number is 35253. When we get back, Eddie and B-Rob are hitting the road. And little B-Rob is going to sit on...
Oh, little baby B-Rob? Little baby B-Rob, our little toddler. Do I need to strap him in, like a car seat or anything? You know, you've got to be safe when you get in. Not in a car seat. Share the seatbelt. When he's on your... We're not going to fit into a seatbelt. Oh, I'm sure. Get out, dog. Get out, dog. Getting by with a fairly Friday morning light commute. We'll see a tough ride, though, at Escondido right now in the South 15. Pretty jammed up from the 78 down to an accident clearing at Villarancho Parkway. You'll find that a minor delay through Carmel Mountain Ranch. Coastal rides looking great.
South 5 is outstanding all the way down the stretch. The east county is cooperating as well. The westbound 852, completely up to speed. West 94, a minor delay in the downtown. 805 northbound, another south bay, a little bit tight here as well from around Market Street off and on into North Park. And then a brief delay over the 52. And northbound 5 has got some brake lights coming out of Chula Vista just past that south bay freeway in the National City. I'm McLaurence on Rock 105.3. This is the home of the Mikey Morning Show. You guys are freaking awesome. I love you. That's awesome, dude. K-O-C-S-A-N-D-E-G-O-S-R-O-C.
105.3. Now back to the Mikey Show. Oh, my gosh. No way. Featuring Mikey. I like to communicate through writing. Eddie. I wish I could go golfing every day and play video games all day long and do all these things. Sky. You know how I'm not a big fan of combining foods? Like, I don't like to, you know, like, I... Sean. Because I get seasick pretty easily now. Boston Rob. I'm not a sheep, Mike. That's right, he's not a sheep. And Ashley. Evidently, I talk to get attention. Save that one.
I did not. He can't make me. The Mikey Show's on Rock 105.3. Hey, it's the Mikey Show. Welcome back. It is 7.16 and we are setting up to have Boston Rob riding on Eddie's lap. It should be phenomenal.
Uh, let's see. Sky, is that you? Say what? Is this Eddie? Yeah. Okay. Hi, Eddie. Hi. Eddie is, uh, outside right now. You guys are not, are you guys, uh. We're in the front, um, and I will drive around the back with Rob. Okay, cool. So you guys will be able to see. Okay, cool. And, uh, we're going to have Sky calling in here in just a second. She's going to get her, uh, she's going to get her cell. And, uh, Ashley's going to run the board. Okay. And I'm going to be on the phone too. Oh, okay. So are you coming up? You're coming in the front?
Yeah, in the back. I'll be in the back. Oh, okay. So come pick me up. Okay. Bye-bye. Ash, you can take over, and me and Sky will actually be on the same phone. Okay. Hi, Ashley. Oh, my gosh, that was weird. Can you still hear me, Ashley? Yeah. Just so you know, we're using Jay from Promotions, his truck. Mm-hmm. And I just tried to move the seat back as far as possible. and it didn't go back even barely anything oh great
I physically don't know how we're going to do it oh well that works out well yeah this should go really well yeah call the request line Sky's out here well actually you can pick up the request line right yeah oh it's Mikey never hung it up okay got it Oh, whoa. Hello? Can you hear me? Yeah. Oh, my God. Sky just asked me what the request line was. Oh, come on.
Hello? Hello. Okay, Sky. Son of a. I just hung up on Eddie. Hello? Hello? Okay, we're good. I'm the worst. What's going on? I pushed Sky's line, and then I hung up on Eddie. We're fine. We're fine. Everything is under control. Is Sky coming here, or are we meeting him around back? I don't know. I think Mike's probably out back somewhere, probably lost. Okay, well then, I guess then we'll get in the car. I don't, Jay, I don't, how are we going to do this?
I physically don't know how we're going to do this. I got to get as far back as it goes. I know. Oh my God, this is ridiculous. This is as far back as it goes. It won't go up either. Well, just give it a shot, you guys. Okay, I'm going to get in, get out of the way. We're practically family here. i gotta hold yeah we can't get in at the same time here hold the phone a clown this is a mess it really is live from the front of the building rob where's mike we don't know we lost mike okay now you hold the phone oh i'm gonna wait before you get in we need to think of a strategy because your legs i don't think well you can try and get them in here but how are you gonna
Can I put my legs out the window? Can I run back? Oh, God. Okay, we're now attempting to get into the car. Okay. Okay. This is a sexy time. Okay. What's going on? Oh, dude, I want to have kids someday. Oh. Ow. What? Okay. What? There's mine. Oh. Okay, this isn't bad. Why do you think pick up the request line? I can. I have both lines used because I have your phone in Eddie's. Okay, well, I'll hang up so you can.
Okay. You can do it on the other line, on the other bank of phones. Hello? Hi, it's Mikey. Okay. Where's Mike? There we go. Mikey. Hey, Mike. This is easily the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in my life. This is out of control. Like, this is really. I physically can't see anything. I can't. I don't know where the pedals are. I'll tell you why you can't. It's because you're a little boy. Your little boy has gotten really big.
He's a big boy now. Daddy go fat. Is that what you just said? Yeah, he's saying that because my son is two years old and can't say daddy go fat. I don't want anybody to see me like this. This is really embarrassing. There are people driving by. in the parking lot looking at boston rob rob has the dumbest looking grin on his face so what's what does it look like out there right now it is it is a uh well first of all there are people
starting to arrive that's that's the first fantastic there are people starting to arrive at the radio station the second thing is we have this gigantic chevy what is that jay a chevy what a chevy 250 it's a gigantic four-wheel drive truck with an extended cab back seat sky's sitting in the back seat okay eddie is sitting in the driver's seat with austin rob on his right lap Okay. And he's, you know, we're going to test and see how safe it is for Boston Rob to be his toddler and to drive this way. Okay.
And so Eddie is trying to wrap the seatbelt around the both of them right now. We're going to see if it'll fit. Eddie was saying that they couldn't fit in there. Well, they really can't, but we're making it happen. It's kind of like a shoehorn situation. Are Rob's feet out the window? One butt cheek on Eddie's lap, and the other butt cheek is like on the center console. Oh, wow. Why is it so warm? Oh, my gosh. Ew. Dude. What, Rob? Thank goodness, Boston Rob is thinner than Kate Moss. That is true.
I'm going to sit shotgun. I am getting into the back of the truck, and I'm getting in Indian style. You love Indian style. I'm waving at the camera. So we're all going to die together, is what you're saying. Yeah, yeah. Okay. So this is going to be the Zets show by the end of this. Me Zets and Shawn. Can we start the car? It's on. Yeah. But I can't reach anything. Like, I don't...
Is it a hybrid? How is that? I can't hear a thing. The engine's actually on right now? Yeah. Okay. Go ahead and put the car in gear and be very careful. Hold on. Before you do anything, I can barely reach the pedals because the seat's back. So let me adjust. He's going to get in an accident. Yeah. Oh, yeah. They're all in the car. They're going to get in an accident. I know. Your little boy is getting crushed. Rob is up against the windshield. There's no room. He's up against the windshield. I don't even know.
Wait, wait, wait. Whose feet are on the accelerator and mine? Oh my gosh, Sean. Are you ready? I'm slowly going to release the brakes. We're letting the little guy drive. They're going to hit a car. I really think they are because they're near other cars. They're right in the front parking lot. Oh, my gosh.
What? Rob is doing the steering now. What is going on? We're going to hit a car. I'm not kidding. It's ridiculous. They're going to die. It started out as a very fun stunt today. Yeah, what's happening? I don't know what to do. Me neither.
I feel like I should call 911. my life. Rob is sitting on Eddie's lap. And he has his right hand up with his cell phone to his ear. And with his left hand, he's holding, trying to hold on to the steering wheel. This is crazy. What's going on?
Dude, Ashley from Promotions is running alongside of us taking pictures. Eddie has his feet on the accelerator and brake. Rob is here. Everyone's on the left sitting on Eddie's lap. This is unbelievable. Is Rob driving or is Eddie driving? I think Rob has the wheel and Eddie's got the pedals. Do you hear the honks?
This is the stupidest radio stuff I've ever done. I don't know. This is the stupidest radio stunt I've ever made. I don't disagree. Start now. Start now. What happened? What happened? It sounds like somebody forgot to hang up their cell phone in their car. No, we just have three of them on.
We're trying to turn the car. I think that we've determined that this should not be done. Yeah, it's not safe. We've determined this should not be done. There are now people pulling alongside of us with camera phones to take pictures. Okay, yeah. Okay. As soon as we get to the front of the building, stop so that I can get out and come into the studio. Please stop. Please stop. Oh, no. Oh, no. She just hit the brake, and Rob almost deployed me. Okay, I'm coming inside.
Please. Yeah. Please, Mike. I don't know. Does anybody have any baby oil or Vaseline? Okay. It's all back in the building. You know. Mike, I can't sit down until I'm able to get inside. What? Hold things down. Okay, we'll see you in a sec. I'll be right back. Okay. Okay, there you go. Do you see that from out the window? Honestly? That was insane. Eddie. Dude. Honestly? That was insane.
Honestly? I don't want to do that thing again. That was crazy. I'm just glad that you're alive. Yeah. Dude, I thought we were going to die about eight times later. Bro. Oh, man. Hello? Did they hang up? I think they did. Oh, my gosh. Oh, crazy. Honestly? That was like... Sean. John, that was the craziest thing I've ever had. That was the most ridiculous. I don't know, Mike. You need to explain.
Okay, okay, I'm back. Dude, what in the world? Let me just say this. Let me just say this. That was easily the craziest, most unsafe stunt that I've ever been a part of. It was absolutely outrageous. Eddie driving that thing with only his feet. Right. His little guy Rob on his lap. Right. Eddie leaning back as far as he can with the seat as far back as he can go like Tony Soprano driving a Cadillac. Oh, my gosh.
Wow. With his left arm on, trying to kind of have a little bit of control with the tips of his index finger and thumb on the steering wheel. Rob, the little guy, holding on to the steering wheel. He's getting to steer. He's so cute. Eddie, completely can't see. I was blind. Can't see anything. Rob is acting as eyes. No. And steering wheel. No. And a jackass. Yes. Knee and sky in the back.
Yeah. That was scary, dude. That was. When that car started coming towards us, I thought we were going to die. Oh, it was. And he couldn't see it. Rob's having to say, as a little boy, there's a car. Oh, thanks. Oh, yeah. And Rob's driving like he's in Europe. It's like, hey, bye, get to the right. And the whole time we're doing it, we're in a gigantic five-ton four-by-four truck. It wasn't the easiest thing to, you know, I can't gauge the speeds and the brakes. Almost ran over a lady.
Wow. She was asking for it. Well, that was phenomenal. I cannot wait for that video. That's going to be a good time. Yeah, it was all taped, and so we're going to post it on our website. And the great thing was, is at the very end of it, I yell stop, so Eddie slams the brakes on him. Jay from Promotions almost goes flying off of the vehicle. There is good news. I feel closer to Rob.
As you take the ticket with your pincher, the officer says, Son, it's a good thing Lobster Beech-Mex isn't expensive because you're going to need a lot of fancy lawyering to get out of this one. The coaster rides starting to see some brake lights now as well in South 5 as you wake your way out of Lucadia down into Salana Beach. Starting to see that slowdown now on the westbound 52 coming up the hill out of Santee.
The 8th freeway is good to go in the Mission Valley though. West in the 94 King Freeway, you'll find some slow traffic right around 25th Street heading into downtown. And coming up out of the South Bay, both the 5 and the 805 northbound has some stuff to deal with out of Chula Vista. Alberta National City, the 805 continues though off and on in North Park. And then you're jammed up one more time again out of Kearney Mesa heading up over to 52. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Eddie went to sleep train and got himself all dialed in. What'd you get, Eddie? I got one of them Seelies. Nice. Great. I love it.
It kind of forms to your body, which I didn't realize. You know, so you find a comfortable spot, you're good. Oh, dude. And sleep training is so cool that we bought a new, like, bedroom set. Yeah. And the frame of the bedroom set is real high. Yeah. And so when you put the box spring and the mattress on there, it was, like, gigantic. Yeah. So the way the furniture set is set up, that it doesn't need a box spring. Right. So we just had the mattress laid in there. I'm like, well, now what am I going to do with this box spring?
Right. I called up Sleep Train and said, hey, listen, I don't need the box spring anymore. What do I do with this thing? And they're like, oh, we'll come out, we'll pick it up, and we'll give you a credit for it. Oh, my. Dude, you guys are amazing. And they did? Yeah, they're going to pick it up tomorrow. Oh, gosh. The spray. Okay. We're really doing a good service today for San Diego. We've just, you know, we tried to see what it would be like if we had a toddler on the lap. It's, you know, not a good idea from what we've just determined. Very scary. Not a good idea. Now, we will test Mucinex. Ew. Thank you. Oh, yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. For sure, yeah.
What's the oh, yeah? Oh, yeah. A rush. Mm-hmm. A rush. I like you. I got you. I see what you're saying. Is it just going to flood out now? Make your nail beds tingle? Well, it says fully depress pump all the way down with a firm, even stroke and sniff deeply. Oh, I didn't sniff deeply. Do it again. I'm supposed to put two or three sprays in each nostril, and I only put one in each nostril. So I'll give two here. Just take a sip, dude.
Take a sip? Yeah. Pop the top on the one that's so gross. Yeah, treat it like a neti pot, dude. No. Let it roll through. Okay, there's one nostril. Here comes the other one. This is so gross. It's got to feel good. Oh, my God. Ah, yeah. Ew. Stop it. Give me a hit of that. Yeah, right? You've got to rub some on your gums. You're ridiculous. Oh, man. All right, let's see. Our phone number. Ew, stop it.
Can you eat a tissue, bro? Yeah, you have one? Yeah. Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, thank you. Stay choked. So Zeth said that that was crazy, at times hard to understand audio. And I think it's because it was really one of the craziest scenes I've ever seen. Well, everyone was screaming for their lives. It was scary. I was literally just waiting for like a crash. It was close a couple times. I was thinking in my head, when we crash.
Right, right. Wasn't a question of this. How do we explain this? Yeah, I said, I was thinking in my head, when we crash, will it be Shauna? Will it be Bob Bollinger? Who is going to be the person to, and I'm thinking in my head, I'm thinking in my head, just be honest, just say, hey, we thought it would be a lot of fun, you know, we didn't realize. But I was realizing as it was going on, wow, this was more dangerous than I had anticipated, didn't it? Yes, definitely. Especially sitting in the back Indian style.
Yeah, that was always. Crying. Crying. I realized, oh, no. Oh, oh, no. This may go sideways. Oh, it did at times. It did. It absolutely did. Jury deliberations begin today in the O.J. Simpson case. Yep, they did closing arguments yesterday in Vegas. This is for the whole robbery, kidnapping thing. Alleged. Okay, O.J.
Nothing has been proved. You are correct. It's in the jury's hands now. So if convicted. You know what to do. That's right. You know, if you appreciate your race. Or your neck. Yes, it's not in your hands, but on your neck. That's right. So, yeah, O.J. could face anywhere between five years to life in prison if convicted. I don't get convicted. No, no life in prison. Not my thing. That's right. I don't do convictions. Yeah, well, it's an all-white jury.
I just do double murder. Okay, O.J. That's a double over-the-top O.J., actually. I specialize in it. That's right. yeah i specialize in armed robbery for my heisman trophy and rushing for two thousand years for the buffalo bills that's right yeah i did murder every time and rushing for two thousand that's right don't forget my work in the naked gun movies how could we forget don't always remind moments. Yeah, and jump over Sam's
nice in the airport. I do that too. Okay, great. And my handicap is 81. That's not the worst handicap of all time. You know why? Why? Because I'm always out looking for the real kid. You're distracted, obviously. I can't focus. I wish I could be working on my swing. Get focused. The Bills gave Lee Evans a four-year, $37 million extension. Holy moly.
That's a lot of money. It's about for the Bills news. Show me the money. Shut up. That's what he said. That's what he said during his negotiation. I don't think he did. He brought Skye with him, and she actually, yeah. She's the agent. Yeah, she's the agent. Show me the money. Yeah. You better say it like you mean it. Yeah. Show me the money. Oh, now Lee Evans will get his deal. So the Raiders are now speaking out about Al Davis' press conference. Oh, man. Eddie, who said something? Who's talking about it?
The quarterback, Jamarcus Russell, says that he was really shocked and taken aback by the comments that Lane Kiffin didn't want to draft him. Really? He's like, really? No, I didn't know that. And, you know, he's pretty upset about it. Yeah, Al's comments are not going to do well for team morale. And Jamarcus was like, you know, that was kind of an unnecessary thing to throw in there. And, you know, now I'm feeling like unwanted and, you know. And then the former Raiders defense tackle Warren Sapp, who was just recently on the team, says he, if anybody calls him and asks him if they should play for the Raiders,
he's going to tell them absolutely not. Wow. Do not sign with the Raiders. Because it's a joke. He said that Al would sometimes call in plays on the sideline. You've got to be kidding me. No way. Like, he said in one particular game, the phone rang, and they were going to run some crazy play. And Warren asked, like, why are we running that play? And they said, well, you know who was on the phone? No. Whoa. Dang. You've got to be kidding me. Like a weird, like, trick play kind of thing? I guess. Like goofy play? Yeah, it must have been because, I mean, you know, Warren was like, why are we running that? Yeah.
That is so odd, man. It's crazy, dude. Wow. Absolutely crazy. And he said, you know, Al, you know, he thinks that Al knows football, but from the 60s and 70s, he goes, he doesn't understand the game now. And, you know, it's passed him by. So he still wants to do all the goofy stuff from the 60s and 70s. Go deep, go deep, go deep, go deep. Aye, aye, aye. Guess who's being given a Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award? Oh, boy. Paul Newman? Yep, take some guesses.
It is not Paul Newman. It's not Paul Newman. He pledged you. For the record, this person's alive. Oh. Stalgetty. Sean. Sean. Did you just hear what I said? Bernie Mac. Alive. Yes. Just said alive. Just said alive. Did I miss a new story? Alive means still living. Still living. So not just alive in spirit. Who got a screen is being given a Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award. Conrad Bean. Oh. Craig T. Nelson. Harrison Ford.
Robert Conrad. These are all good guesses, but you're not there yet. You're really close. George Coluni. George Coluni. George Coluni. No, is George Coluni on there? No, no Coluni. Not Alec. George Coluni is not on there. Michael Douglas. Stephen Baldwin. Oh. David Baldwin is a cousin. Michael Richards. Johnny Baldwin. Samuel L. Jackson. Yeah, what about him? No. I didn't check the list. Well said. This guy didn't even check the list. I mean, there's only one name there, so I know it in my opinion. Morgan Freeman. Uh-huh.
What is she doing? Well said. I don't know. Stephen Sondheim. Well, that's every guess. That's not. It's obviously not. Johnny Depp. Oh, yeah. Maureen McCormick. Eve Plum. Patrick Duffy. Yeah. This actor has been in anything from sci-fi movies all the way to dramas. Oh, Indiana Jones. Mark Hamill. Sean Connery. Eddie, you're the closest with Mark Hamill. Really?
Peter Mayhew. You're very close now. Darth Vader. We're getting closer. James Earl Jones. Boston Rob and Eddie are correct. James Earl Jones. You guys are really in sync after that. Because of that bonding drive. James Earl Jones. This is CNN. That's right. James Earl Jones getting a Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award. For Darth Vader? No, for his lifetime award. He deserves it. No, for his lifetime award. It's a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Do you know anything about chocolate? No. We have to have some good... Hey, Shawnee, that's going to be our new thing. We've got to get some good Darth Vader clips. No problem. We've got to get some clips like the I'm Not Your Father scene. It's great. I think he deserves it, man. And he's been in a lot of great movies, besides the Star Wars stuff. He's been in other movies? Yeah. Field of Dreams. Field of Dreams. Ever heard of it, bro? Oh, yeah. He's never heard of it. He's been in To My Heart's Contentment, The Final Race, Jury Little Dream, the film adaptation of Skyward. Let's see.
He was in Las Vegas, the movie Las Vegas. He was in To Be a Live Man. Do you remember that dramatic performance? To Be a Live Man. Never heard of it. Netflix-y. That one was with Peter Dinklage. He starred with Peter Dinklage in that film. Here it is. I am your father. Oh, come on. Gorgeous. Come on. It's the best. When is it going to be given to him?
The award ceremony will be in January. They announce that he's the winner, but they don't actually have the award ceremony until January. Man. Yeah. That's pretty cool. Fallout Boy donated $50,000 to protect gay marriage. I bet they did. Oh, thank you. Oh, thank you. $50,000, thank you. Are any of them gay, or are they doing that just because they feel strongly about it? Have you seen the band? Yeah. Well, nobody says they're gay, but Pete Wentz has talked about kissing a guy before and now is currently wearing his wife's clothes since she's pregnant. Pete Wentz?
That is really normal sex clothes. He is a gay man. Wait, what did you say? Well, Pete Wentz is married to Ashley Simpson and she's pregnant and Ashley Simpson was talking about gaining weight and said she doesn't worry because Pete Wentz, her husband, is wearing her clothes while she's pregnant. I think we have the answer. We just got a picture. Oh, there they are. We just got a picture. There they are. They are beauteous. And they're all standing in their boxers in the picture. You're gay! Hey, listen. Asked and answered. So they donated the 50,000 and said that they don't...
Wow, those guys look really gay. It's your stakai, says. Hey. Man, are those dudes effeminate. Yeah, a fallout boy says they don't believe that government should legislate love. Oh. Write a song about it. Fall out of the closet, boys. They just came piling out of the closet. So a seven-year-old boy broke into an Australian zoo and was feeding animals to a crocodile. No!
He broke into the zoo, killed other animals in the zoo, and started feeding them to the crocodiles. What a weird thing. Now, did he do it in the middle of the night? How did this go down? I believe it was in the middle of the night. He jumped a security fence. It went on for about 30 minutes. It was all caught on security cameras. And they said he basically killed 13 animals by, like, bashing their heads in with rocks. And then took them over to the crocodile area where there's this, like, alligator. Now, what will they do?
Will they do anything with this boy? Will he just be thrown in juvie? Or what happens now? Well, he's seven years old, so I think... Oh, that kid's a serial killer. Yeah, they plan to sue the parents for the cost. Really? But I don't know as far as, you know, what's going to happen, you know. What kind of animals? It was like a reptile center. It's an ala, ala, ala, ala, ala game. So he killed lizards, turtles, bearded dragons, thorny devil lizards, these things. So nothing like cute. No, not like bunnies or.
No, they were all. Take care of your head by wearing your helmet. Australian amphibians. Yeah, that's crazy. What else is going on? oh, the House is going to vote on the Wall Street bailout today. Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, so they turned it down on Monday. They voted no, but that was before they added all the little tax breaks and little sweeteners in there. And so the Senate voted this week to pass it. So now it goes to the House today, and they say it definitely, you know, it looks like it could pass, but there's no guarantees. The following is the best news that I have given all morning long for guys.
The following news is guy-oriented. Every guy should dig this. Ladies and gentlemen, Robert. De Niro has signed on to star in a new Martin Scorsese movie. And that is how you do that. I like it. I like it. I like it a lot. I got an email to read to you here in just a second. Last night was the vice presidential debates. Another presidential debate coming up pretty soon, too, right? Yeah. Awesome! And John McCain, I don't know if you know this, John McCain was actually on the Mikey Show. Actually appeared here on the Mikey Show. Thank you, Mikey. You're very welcome, Mr. McCain. And talked about things that were kind of close to us as San Diegans. We asked him about immigration.
Well, I think, first of all, I think I agree with the president. I think it has to be a comprehensive approach. But I do believe that we all agree that the status quo is totally unacceptable. Look, coming from my state, which is suffering the worst from it, I understand how broken this system is. And, of course, we have to enforce our borders. Of course, that's our first priority. But I believe we have to have a comprehensive approach. But most importantly, can't we sit down together as people who share the same goal of fixing this problem and have a respectful and reasonable dialogue and come to a conclusion? I think our constituents expect us to do that.
I think our citizens expect us to get this problem resolved. And that includes the first and foremost priority of enforcing the border. But I believe we have to have a guest worker program and we have to do something with the 11 million people that are already here. That's P1 John McCain. Thank you, Mr. McCain. Thank you, Mikey. Thank you. So tell me what you think of this. Mikey, I'm not sure what to think about a term my girlfriend is using. Now, you fellas, where do you sit with this? Says, we've been going out for nine months and we've moved in together.
I heard her saying on the phone the other day that we are pre-engaged. Oh, goodness. Pre-engaged? What? Pre-engaged. Okay. What does that mean? You tell me, man. I'm telling you. He goes on to say, I had no idea what that meant. So I asked her. She says it's a new term that some people use. It's when you aren't engaged yet but live together and know that you're getting married eventually. Women.
I do want to marry this girl someday, but saying that we're pre-engaged was a little weird. Have you guys ever heard of this term, and what do you think of it? Signed, P1 Brody. I have never heard of this term. This is new to me. And what, I mean, we're now, now we're coming up with pre-engaged. That's new to me. Why can't you just be boyfriend-girlfriend? Yeah. I mean, is there something wrong with that? And what's so weird about it is it makes you think, okay, so who was the first one?
It was a chick. It was a chick, obviously. Oh my gosh, you're paying good. We're paying good. Like the hills or something. Exactly. And then I had a girlfriend and said, oh my gosh, that's so cute, that's so cute. Oh my gosh, I'm paying good too. You're so lucky. You're so lucky. We should have a paying good party. Oh, congratulations. So good. Has anybody heard of this? I think I read something about this in, like, one of the girly magazines at the hair salon, you know, that, you know, just kind of talk. And I didn't, I just, when I, because I read it and rolled my eyes and just flipped to the next page.
Yeah, I want to know if there's any dudes that are listening right now that you are having to go through being pre-engaged. I mean, do we have a choice? Does the guy have a choice? It doesn't sound like it. I can't say no. Like, no thank you. Yeah, can't we respectfully decline that we don't want to be pre-engaged? Yeah, because if you're pre-engaged, then like... Aren't you engaged? Well, because then when the proposal comes, like, doesn't it just, it's like... It takes the fun out of it. Yeah, it's not cool anymore because we were already pre-engaged. Hey, P1 Justang, you there?
Yeah, I'm here. Go ahead. Yeah, I actually had a girl do that to me. It was actually some kind of weird conspiracy that happened between my ex and my sister. And somehow they just started talking. And the next thing I know, like, they're throwing, like, a pre-engagement party. Oh, dude. What the hell is that? And what is it? Yeah, dude, I have no idea what the heck that was. But, yeah, then it, like, got to the point where she was staying pre-engaged, but she's, like, calling up facilities and, like, trying to figure out dates of when we could actually get married. Holy moly.
And you're not actually engaged? No. Wow. Were you planning on asking her at some point? At some point, but we had been together less than a year. So, I mean, you know, it sounds like this guy's in the same boat. I mean, nine months, maybe he's dating my ex or something. Yeah, you never know. And we might know why she's your ex. Yeah. Exactly. Oh, dude. Like, would that scare your average guy? Dude. Oh, please. Run for the hills, bro. Your chick's on the phone and you hear her say,
well, Summer P. Engage, and I was just, I wanted to see if you... Oh, man, that's the worst. That is crazy. 5701053, our text number is 35253. P1 Monopoly money's on the line. Tell everybody what a P1 is. P1 is someone who gets straight to the point, doesn't cuss, turns down the radio when they talk, and listens to the mic show exclusively. Well said. nice rack them so what are you calling to say uh my girlfriend and i are like well i've heard the term engaged to be engaged pre-engaged is new on me but uh my girlfriend and i have like talked
about this before because we're both young and uh are not okay with like using that we've had friends who've said it and you know we're like no you know can't say that oh no no it sounds like something that somebody that's young might say. And when I say young, I mean 15. Yeah, I would be very scared if I heard someone, if I heard my girlfriend using the term pre-engaged, especially if I didn't know about it. Like this guy, he didn't even know about it. He hears her talking to her girlfriend and she says she's pre-engaged and he's like
what? Or what? What does that mean? I mean that is gnarly. 3-5-2-5-3 Ash, have you heard pre-engaged? You're my go-to cool young person. No, I know, and I've never heard of that before. How about you, Zeth? But speaking of... But I kind of like it. If a certain someone is listening... Well, it's just a done deal now. Yeah. I'd like to be pre-engaged. I'd like to be engaged, to be honest.
Skip the pre-part. I'm posting love. p1 eric's on the line yeah mikey uh i've been dating my girlfriend for like seven months and for like two months now she's been pretty engaged and i've been like ignoring her about it it's the best yeah it's the best way you don't hear it yeah yeah really the best way to hit that head on is just not say anything just wait till you're at the altar yeah exactly yeah go hey babe i've been meaning to ask you yeah right what's that all about i've just been like trying to blow off now i'm like trying like insulting like girls who like try to go in through relationships too
fast and call them like baby hunter ring hunter people man they're like she's been getting real mad at us at me i'm sorry like because she thinks we're gonna marry them we want the day for like seven months i'm like dang yeah tell her to slow her roll yeah slow her roll dude slow the roll You know what I'm saying? That's what I'm saying. I got that tattooed on my back. Word. In old English. Duh. I've seen it. In old English. Duh. Slow the roll, bro. That's what I'm saying. Mikey Show, hello. Hi, I have a comment about the pre-engagement.
Here we go. Stop it. You don't know what she's going to say. Well, I think that the fun of getting engaged is gone anyway. I think that people plan it so far ahead that it's no longer, like, a surprise when people are going to get engaged. So I think pre-engagement kind of sets in the tone for when people are actually getting married. You know what I mean? Like, they don't go through all of that stuff. Mm-hmm. I think it's a good idea. I just think that people plan it, and the pre-engagement is just, you know, a conversation that they've had.
They know they're going to possibly get married in the future. And, you know, they've talked about it, so it's not like it's a surprise. They know they're going to possibly get engaged. Can we please highlight the word possibly and then put it in bold? in italics. Underline it. And underline it. Yeah, I know when I was leaving pictures of rings around the house, I mean, we were basically pre-engaged at that point because I knew it was common. Can we take the word basically and highlight it and then bold it and then put it in italics and underline it?
Oh, it's in italics. I mean, that word stands out to me. That word stands out to me. This text message says, hey, Mikey, sounds like she's pre-dumped. And doesn't know it. That's P138. Mikey Jessica Simpson probably said it first with Tony Romo. That's P1 M-Bomb. Mikey, what about pre-divorced? That is P1 Moose. Mikey, I guess that means that there would need to be a pre-bachelor party, right?
Interesting. Thanks. P1 Brett. 570-1053 is the phone number, and P1 Dave has a comment. Go ahead, Dave. Yeah, I think sometimes people might kind of use it as a joke. I mean, some of these people sound like they're kind of serious. I mean, under a year, you know, whatever. My girlfriend and I have been together about four and a half years, and so every once in a while, it's just kind of a joke. You know, you say you call a person like the pre-fiancé or something right um i mean if it's a real serious thing then that's kind of strange hey bro you know i guarantee you she's serious oh yeah eddie's
telling you he thinks that when she says it she's serious you're a gal you're a gal and when you joke about it her heart like soars when you make that joke about her being your pre-fiancé her heart really oh yeah she wants it oh please well sure i mean like i say after four and a half years i mean we're gonna get married it's just kind of one of those you know some people just together for a long time before they finally get married and so i mean we're both serious about it so you know we both do take it seriously why are you so serious ladies and gentlemen the ghost of heath ledger uh i think we have the genesis of the comment ladies and gentlemen it's right here
paper. Okay. Are you ready? I can't focus. I can't focus. Give it to me. I'm ready. I have where it began. Really? I have the genesis of pre-engaged. Drum roll, please. Here we go. Ladies and gentlemen, the term pre-engaged came from Kim Kardashian. No way. Of course She said that she was pre-engaged a few months back to Reggie Bush, and she is planning her wedding to avoid the stress of planning later.
What? Can you believe it? All it takes is one. All it takes is one. There it is. It just takes one influential person, and now a bunch of dudes are paying the cost. Oh, no, I wonder how Reggie feels about me. Right? I'd love to hear. Mikey, I think the term may have also been used on Arrested Development. That's P1 Pesky. Oh, was it? Here is yet another. Oh, no. Here is yet another usage of it.
Who knew? Mikey, at our church, they have a pre-engagement counseling program to prepare couples for all the marriage stuff. That's P1 Magnified Plaid. Wow. 5701053. Love to hear what your takes are on this. P1 Melissa. Melissa, you there? Yeah, I am. Go ahead. Pre-engaged just means that you're actually shopping for rings and you haven't officially come out and said you're engaged. Well, has the guy asked yet? Well, but if you're shopping for rings together, I mean, duh. Well, if you're...
Wait, wait, wait, wait. Are you shopping for rings, but you haven't been asked? Well, officially, no. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. That's the way we did it. Wait, wait, wait. That's confusing. You haven't been asked. No. But you're shopping for rings. Yes. Together. Because traditionally, the guy would go out and buy a ring by himself. Yes. But now, people shop together. What's the point of asking? And then he springs it on you in a romantic gesture. That you've already picked out.
Yes. I don't think that's done either. Let the romance begin. Wow, that is very romantic. It worked for us. That's basically the woman saying, this is what I want. Right. And you're going to get this for me. Well, we're going to wear it. Show me the money. We're going to wear it forever. Money, money, money. Oh, wait a minute. The money. Define we're going to wear it. Women are going to wear the ring. I got you. So I think it's smart for us to have a say in it. I understand you having a, you know, giving me hints or something like that. Subtle hints like putting a picture on the fridge.
No, no, no, no. Subtle hints like saying, hey, let's go to Robin's Brothers tomorrow. Like, or just pulling into the parking lot of Robin's Brothers. I'll just point and you realize that's the one I want. Those kind of hits. Wow. That's something else. P1 Lydia. Yeah, I was just saying that, I mean, I'm a girl and I'm completely against the word pre-engaged. I got proposed to three times before I finally said yes, but I know if he would have been telling people that we were pre-engaged. You're so in demand.
Oh, my. What's next? Oh, my goodness. Calm down, show off. Will you marry me? Now it's four times. Yeah, now it's four times. Marry me, please. Brady. It was just not, it wasn't going to happen if you put me into something like that by saying we were pre-engaged. Like, I mean, do you get a ring by saying that? No, I don't think so. Wait, are you, now you're married now to him, right? No, I'm actually just engaged. You're engaged. How long have you been engaged? About a year. Oh, wow. And why did it take him three times before you said yes? I was just really young, and I kind of felt like we needed to not be so, you know, in such close proximities.
I wanted to still have fun and not just be like, okay, I'm married. I have to, you know, I have to kind of live my life with someone else. I still wanted to be independent. I wanted to know what it was like to be independent before I became codependent of somebody else. Oh, wow. Well, man. Oh, Lydia, Lydia, Lydia, Lydia. Oh, no. How old are you? I'm 22. You're 22. Well, congratulations on your newfound codependence. What a lucky girl.

Ladies and gentlemen, the way that Mikey Peace Theater works is you call us up at 570-1053. And the Mikey Show, we'll reenact a scene from a movie.
And all you have to do is tell us what that movie is. Today's theme is sci-fi. The best. That's right. sci-fi. We have three different movies. We will reenact the scenes. You know, the only thing I don't have, I don't have, and I don't remember who's doing what. Do you have it, Eddie? I can help you with that. Do you want me to just I am it to you? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I am it to me. Are we going to warm up, too? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You need to warm up.
I'm actually going to be performing today as well. Oh, look at you. There's a big brain on you. Thank you, Mikey. Thank you. Thank you very much. Obama. Obama. Obama. Obama. Obama. Obama. Obama. Obama. These are all good vocal warm-ups. Obama. Obama. Obama. Obama. Oh, wow. Weird. Really, really weird. I think I'm ready. Okay. I feel better.
I feel better. Haylin eats peanut butter. Haylin eats peanut butter. Biden wears bras. Biden wears bras. That is actually true. Oh, yeah, I wasn't warming up. I was just reading the news. I'm reading off TMZ.com. 5701053.
And let's do a little Mikey Peace Theater. P1 Joe, are you there? Yes, sir. Hey, Joe, how are you? Wonderful, and yourself? I'm doing super. Okay, so the theme today, Joe, is sci-fi. So we are going to reenact a scene from a movie, and all you need to do is tell us what movie that is. And where are my movies located, Ash? Page up. I IMG all the details. Gotcha. All right. Are you ready?
I am ready. All right, here we go. We will begin. And I'm going to tell you who your actors are. To begin, your actors are me and Eddie. Yes. All right. Gineric duo. Here we go. Are you veterans of this? Are you ready? We do this at home. Don't mess up. Take a listen to this scene and try to tell us who it is. Here we go. My colleagues believe that I am wasting my time with you,
but I believe you wish to do the right thing. Now, we're willing to wipe the slate clean, and give you a fresh start. And all that we're asking in return is your cooperation in bringing a known terrorist to justice. That sounds like a really good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger.
You give me my phone call. Mr. Anderson, you disappoint me. You can't scare me with this Gestapo crap. I need my rights, dude. I want my phone call. Tell me, Mr. Anderson, what good is a phone call if you're unable to speak? Whoa!
Wow, wow, wow. I'm on the edge, so I see. We're both bowing, we're both bowing. - Really impressive. - Lifetime achievement. - Thank you very much. - I gave that everything I asked. - Actors killed. - Ward. - P1 Joe, can you tell us what movie that was? - I believe that was "The Matrix." - You are correct. - You are correct. - I'm wasting my time with you, but I believe you wish to do the right thing. - We're willing to wipe the slate clean. Give you a fresh start.
- All that we're asking in return is your cooperation in bringing a known terrorist to justice. Wow, that sounds like a really good deal. No, I didn't get off. That's another one. How about I give you the finger and you give me my phone call? No, Mr. Anderson. You disappoint me. You can't scare me with this Gestapo crap. I know my rights. I want my phone call. And tell me, Mr. Anderson, what good is a phone call if you're unable to speak?
Oh, well, Mr. Anderson. That's right. P1 Joe, hang on the line, will you? Absolutely. Thanks, guys. Next up is P1 Nicole. How are you, Nicole? I'm good, Mikey. All right. Are you ready to do this? Heck, yes. All right. Remember, the theme. The theme today is sci-fi. Okay. All right. And the next scene will be acted out with Eddie and Skye. Oh, we're good to hear that.
Another dynamic duo. This is great. Eddie and Skye. And I will also add that I have one line. And so I got one line in here. And so any time you thespians are ready. Are you ready? Skye is. Warm it up. Warm it up. Skye just took her headphones off. Why is she acting all weird? Oh, she's getting nervous like Casey does. Oh, no.
I cannot wait to hear this. Oh, my God. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. Skye will begin the scene. It's leaving. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. But the most safest place would be Gonga City. It's where I grew up. Tis a hate city. Oh, my God. City? Can you take us there?

Greatest sci-fi I've ever seen. Greatest sci-fi in the history of sci-fi. which one were you that's not fair
I couldn't even understand anything well it's not fair because we couldn't either but actually that was Star Wars episode one The Phantom Menace how did I miss that one I was really good but the most safest place would be Gonga City is where I grew up. Skye was Jar Jar Binks. That was great. I can't. City. Uh-huh. Can you take us there?

No, no, no, no. to me if me going back there you hear that yeah that is the sound of a thousand terrible things heading this way if they find us they will crush us grind us into tiny pieces and blast us into Oblivion.
Ah. Your support is mercy. This way. This guy's spot on. Thank you. Thank you. You knocked it out of the park. I'm really good. I'm really good. Ladies and gentlemen, up next, P1 Kevin. Kevin, how are you? I'm doing good. Kevin, the next one's going to be a challenge. The next one is... More than the last. The next one may even be a bigger challenge. Are you ready for this? I'll give my best shot. Okay.
You are going to be hearing from our two actors. Boston Rob. Yes. And Ashley. Lemon face. Lemon face. Boston Rob. And Ashley. Wow, that is a weird way to warm up. Boston Rob and Ashley, anytime. What the? Oh, I thought something went wrong. I just had to get the tone.
Yeah, you thought your headphones were breaking? Exploding. I just need the tone. I thought she was passing a kidney stone. Anyway. Okay. Are you guys ready? All right. I believe that Boston Rob's line is first. Is that correct? No. We'll pick it up where it says affirmative. Oh. Okay, so begin. Affirmative.
No, no, no, no, no. You got to listen to the way people talk. You don't say affirmative. You say no problemo. When someone comes up to you with an attitude, you say eat me. If you want to shine them on, it's Hasta La Vista, baby. Hasta La Vista, baby. One more time on that line. What the? Hasta La Vista, baby.
Perfectly done. Oh, wow. I just had to hear it again. It was so well delivered. It's a pleasure acting with you. I mean, we are really good together. You guys get it. You've got that chemistry. P1 Kevin, do you know what movie that was? I'm going to have to say that that was The Governator in T2. You are correct. Thank you. You don't want to be pulled over. Affirmative. No, no, no, no, no, no. You've got to listen to the way people talk. You don't say affirmative.
You say, no problemo. And if someone comes off to you with an attitude, you say, eat me. And if you want to shine them on, it's hasta la vista, baby. Hasta la vista, baby. Dead on. Dead on. Dead on. We're good. We are good. We are good. We should just pack it up and all head to Hollywood. Oh, yeah. I mean, really. I mean, really. It's magic. We're that good. I'm actually kind of glad that she came to me with this, and I'll tell you why. As you know, I've written several weight loss books over the years.
That is true. Including the bestseller, Hey Chubzo, get off your butt and stop eating that corn dog. Do you remember that book? It was a good one. It was a good one. I don't recall that one. It came out a couple of years ago. Or who could forget, Fatty Fatty 2x4 can't fit through the kitchen door. Y'all remember that book. It was it, it went rush number one. It can only be Mikey. Rock 105.3. Welcome back.
It's a Mikey show at 845. The House is scheduled to vote today on the Wall Street bailout bill that was passed by the Senate earlier this week. Man, you've got to love Manny Ramirez. He goes deep again as the Dodgers whip the Cubs 10-3 and now up 2-0 in the series. So we are getting lots of e-mails and text messages. You can give us a call at 570-1053, and our text number is 35253. This e-mail says, Palin Thoughts. Says, Mikey, I was wondering what your thoughts are on this.
Do you think that Palin has the experience needed to be president? Do you think selling the hockey mom image is the best plan? If a plane was flying into U.S. airspace with hostages and is heading toward the White House, can you see Sarah Palin, the hockey mom, making the final choice? These are the questions I ask myself. McCain was too old term years ago. Why should he care about the future of America? He won't even be here. These are facts. Anyway, what are your initial thoughts on my points?
I value your opinion. Yes, bro, if we were to think your thoughts through, if there were a plane headed here and it had hostages on board, I think that Sarah Palin would get menstrual cramps, curl up into the fetal position and start to suck her thumb. No. Come on, Mike. Turn on Sex and the City. Yeah. One episode. I mean, if we follow this logic that she's a hockey mom and, you know, do I really think that she would be able to, you know, respond to that? No, no. I think that she would call her girlfriends and start crying and I think that she would
put on Sex and the City and she would get real scared. No, I think she would respond the same way that she has responded as a governor. She's, I think that she's an intelligent woman. You're darn tootin'. That's right. I'm just a hockey man. Wink. That wink was too much last night. I loved it. Oh, it made me angry. I love dang it. It made me angry. Listen. You're running for VP, not Miss America. Stop winking at me. She's charming.
I'm telling you, she's using the same tool that Obama uses, and it's her charm. Yeah, absolutely. That's all she's got. Her likability, she's using the likability factor, and she's running with it. I agree. And in the polls, she was, you know, like 84% likable, you know. Yeah, she was off the charts. Let's see. Mikey, my wife never did like my engagement ring that I got her. Admittedly, it was very cheap because I was young and broke. When I went on deployment overseas a few years ago, she bought a new one. And the one I bought her now sits in a Ziploc bag in her jewelry box.
Romance is great. Hear, hear, hear. P1 Corman. Let the romance begin. That's brutal. 35253 is our text number. Our phone number, 5701053. Mikey, I didn't think Ashley could do voices, but that was almost as good as Mikey's Terminator. Thank you. I agree. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I didn't know what I should be saying. Mikey, I was honestly impressed with Rob. That's P1 Albert. It's interesting that that text came through because that's... Yeah, I mean, out of all the texts, that Rob...
Out of all the texts, I got that one. It has to go through. Yeah, I mean, of all the ones that Rob screened out, you know, that one made it through. It's not as good of a furlong as Mike does, but it was up there. Close second. Anytime you want a furlong off. Mikey, I'm glad I don't drive to work because I would have crashed. I was laughing so hard during Mikey P's theater. P1 Dodger fan. 570-1053 is a number. Text number is 35253. What was funny about it? By the way, if you are a restaurant

Fox is picking up Fringe for a full season.
Yes! That is awesome. Eddie, you like the show, right? I really like the show. You're all in now, right? I've always been all in. Oh, yeah? Yeah, I've always liked it. Yeah, it's like the biggest new show this season. They average just about 11 million viewers per episode, which is pretty huge. So they are doing a full season, which means an additional nine episodes this season. Back in the day, I used to watch a TV show on HBO called Oz about life in a prison. And there's an actor that's on the show Fringe that used to be on that show. Pacey?
Pacey. I believe it was Pacey. No, that was Dustin's Creek. Oh, my bad. Oz, Dustin's Creek. I always get them confused. They're almost identical in their storylines. I think one kind of borrows from the other. Sister shows, I think is the name. Yeah, okay. Let's see. So people that work for the railroad were investigating that crash that happened, and what they're saying is they're going to ban workers' cell phone use. Yeah, you know, federally, they're going to ban. The Federal Railroad Administration said that, yeah, starting yesterday, banning the use of personal electronic devices. for people running the train and this is because it you know it just came out earlier this week
that that you know big fatal crash that happened outside la killing 25 people that the engineer sent a text message just about 22 seconds before the crash ash get my brother mark on okay my brother works for the railroad and i'd be interested in knowing if this has already come down for him if they've already said to him well didn't he say his company already does that the Union Pacific? Yeah, they already have a policy within the company. But now this is like the government issuing a policy because some companies had the policy. Some companies didn't have the policy. I didn't know there was other companies.
Well, one is like passenger and one is freight. Right. And your brother works for freight. Right. So they're like way different. Yeah. And I wonder if with the government imposing this, if it means that there's going to be like real big penalties. Like are you, is it going to be a federal crime? Could be. If you are caught talking on your cell phone. Good question. What if it's hands-free? Yeah, what if it's hands-free? I don't think they want that. They don't want anything. No electronic devices while you're working. What about an iPod?
Yeah, can you do that? What about your dog? Would you eat your dog? Would you eat your cat? Are they allowed in there? Yeah, can you have a dog on your lap? We're looking for answers. Can you please look into this? I don't know if you can have a dog on your lap. If you're an engineer, are you allowed to play five-card stud with your friends? Exactly. Is that allowed? What about musical chairs? Well, that sounds dangerous. Could you draw caricatures? Are you allowed?
While you're driving. Check it. I don't know, you guys. What about brushing a man's hair? I think we're all thinking that. What about Uno? Oh, that's funny. Could you start your own pickling company? While being an engineer. I don't know what this has to do with cell phones. What about making your own candles? Is that still allowed? Well, I don't know if it was ever allowed. There's no law against it. It sounds irresponsible. There's no law against it.
There's no law against that. There's no law against that. You're driving a train. Yeah. Could you reenact scenes from the Partridge family? Dude, I don't think that was ever allowed. I don't think that's so dangerous. It was in the late 70s. They allowed it? They allowed it for a short period of time. Now, I don't know if it is still allowed. I'll have to look into that. Well, you should be looking into it. I'm not going to look into that. I don't know why you're a news girl. You're just sitting there. I will not YouTube it. I'm not doing anything. What about taxidermy? I know that's allowed. Yeah, my brother taxidermied a mountain lion one time.
Oh, that's fantastic. What about scrapbooking? That is fun. Latch hook. Embroidery. My wife was reminiscing with a friend last night about how in the 80s, she used to wear t-shirts that were made at the mall where you put the t-shirt on this device that spun it. Oh, yeah. Spin art, Mike. And then you drop paint on it and it splashed the paint. That was so cool. I remember that. And she said it was cool. Super cool. Super cool. Super cool. I remember that.
And I didn't remember it. I don't remember that either. Oh, really? It must have been a girl thing. It must have been a girl thing. For sure. It must have been. SDG&E announced a fire plan that would cut services in fire-prone areas during the Santa Anas. Yeah, so if there's really bad Santa Anas, even if there's not fires burning, SDG&E is going to shut off power to certain areas of the county. What does that do? Well, because, you know, there's lawsuits going on right now where people are blaming SDG&E because the Santa Ana's knocked over some of their power poles and they, you know, caused fires and stuff. So, you know, the obvious places like the Southeast County, Ramona, Valley Center, you know, places that whenever we have a fire seem to burn.
So what they're going to do, they say this will affect about 45,000 customers in San Diego County. So they're going to start sending letters out today to let people know if they're in one of those areas. And then also they say, hopefully, if they do have to shut down the power, they'll try and call you first. But no guarantees on that. Oh, my ma. Yeah. I think that in all those areas, we should just put in giant sprinkler systems like we have here in the building. That's smart. You just put a sprinkler over everything, you know. Seriously.
And then it gets too hot. They start spraying everything. Yeah. And we're safe. And it just goes like that. How's it go? Hey, do we have time to do Boston Rob on Wall Street? Sure. Can we do it now? If you want to. Yeah, let's do a little Boston Rob on Wall Street. First of all, you've got to know Boston Rob. I mean, this guy is the best. He's good. Talk about it, yeah. That's right. He's got a throat tattoo. Stop saying that. It says Boston in Old English on his throat. Yeah. And he's a big fan of the Boston Red Sox.
He's actually from Boston. And he loves everything New England. And we call him a dirtbag. He has tattoos up and down both arms. And that's not what makes him a dirtbag. It's just all the other stuff. My filthy ways, Mike. That's his filthy ways. Yeah, like yesterday, he brought a cookie in to work wrapped in tinfoil that had been in his pocket for quite a few hours. Yeah. I was using the same piece of tinfoil for a couple of weeks. Chris Walken thinks that's gross. Mike.
And so. I'm going green, you jerks. Oh, my ma. Oh, my ma. Green like the color of mold. That's what I was getting to and I had to throw it away. Hey, I don't see it on here. I don't see it on here. It should be up on. Yeah. Oh, it's on. I am due. Oh, my ma. Does she have to tell me? Can't she just tell me where it is? Does she have to give it away that I've been such an idiot that I didn't? I don't want you to think that I wasn't doing my part. I think you're doing it. I think you're doing it. Hey, bald guy.
All right. You know what I am stands for? Okay. Okay. It stands for read it. Read it. Okay. So Boston Rob goes down to Wall Street in La Jolla. Yeah. Why would he go to La Jolla? The hub of the Wall Street is. That's where Wall Street is. Yeah. But everything they talk about is Wall Street in New York. What? Oh, what are we going to do? Fly him to New York? Yeah, come on. What, do we have a budget? Well, that's on Wall Street in La Jolla. A bunch of shops. There's a lot of people in suits.
Yeah. So they are important. There you go. They're important. They own stock, I'm sure. Just because they wear a suit, it makes you important? Absolutely. Don't you watch the news? My bad, dude. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Oh, God. Turn on CNN. All right. Now, in this first clip, Rob talks to a guy who keeps saying the economy goes in cycles. Yeah. Now, listen to this guy's answers. Here we go. Very repetitive. Let's see. So I'm down here on Wall Street, the hub of the economy in San Diego. I'm here with a finely dressed gentleman.
Sir, do you trade stocks and bonds? What do you do for work? I work in the banking and finance industry. What do you see happening with our economy? I see the ups and downs. Right now, it's not looking the best, but it goes in cycles. Do you think we're heading for a recession? Like I said, it's going in cycles. It's a very, very low portion right now. I don't know if I would call it a depression. I just like when you just say stuff like that. It just sounds right. You know what I mean?
Just keep saying cycles and ups and downs, and I'm good. By the way, I love the suit. Is that Jordash? Jordash! Jordash! What? Jordache doesn't make... No. What? I don't understand. Dude, good question. Jordache doesn't make suits. I beg to differ, right? They made jeans in the early 80s. Oh, my gosh. Someone told me that they were talking about postponing Christmas. Do you think that can happen?
You know, it did have quite a drop, but the very next day it picked up. What does that mean? It wasn't as big of a pickup, but once again, it goes in cycles. Okay, all right. I heard it goes in cycles. This will not be postponed. All right, because I heard Santa might get laid off. It was making me nervous, but it's good to be reassured. He'll just have to pay more for gas, that's all. And cycles. Reindeers don't use gas. Thank you. Oh, you showed him, Rob. Right? He's that guy. Mr. John-ass suit. By the way, Rob was down there for hours. No one wanted to talk to him.
Dude, this was one of the worst experiences I've had. Of, like, class differentiating. Well, look at you, bro. Dude, I'm a person. If you cut me, do I not bleed? Come on. We don't know yet. I'm telling you, dude, these people. You know what? He wrote me an email where he's screaming about how rude everyone is. No one wanted to talk to him. That was so rich. I get it.
You got money with your Jordache clothing. I can't afford Jordache, all right? Am I any less of a patient? Now this next guy, Rob says, is wicked intelligent. He's, oh, man, this guy is just like, I wanted to talk to him for hours. Dude, he was like Martha Stewart. How long do you think it will take us to recover from this economic slump? I give it probably. Probably three, four years. Do you know when the price of oranges is going to go down? Oranges? What?
You have to follow that commodity. Do you think that $700,000,000,000 is enough to go out of the economy? I love your question. $700,000,000,000. What? $700,000,000,000,000. This is the guy. This is the guy. I now know why he doesn't have direct deposit. situation or how much money are we going to need i think it's an ongoing issue i don't think 700 billion is nearly enough no 700,000 billion 700,000 billion come on i own actually bailout plan i think we should let everybody just uh survive on their own survival of the fittest
now theoretically speaking who would have a better fiscal plan colonel sanders account chocula And remember, this is theoretically speaking. Well, yes. Really? I mean this theoretically. I don't mean it literally. Okay. Please, sir, understand I only mean this in theoretical terms. Okay. I would say Count Chocula because he probably has a CPA degree, so he's probably more fiscally responsible. But it's in the name. Wow. Count Chocula. That's true.
I think he's a communist or something from Russia or Transylvania or one of those. And remember, just because he has count in the name doesn't mean he's good with numbers. Oh, I didn't think of that. As a governor of California, he's done a pretty good job. So I don't mind those foreigners coming in. You're a smart man. What do you do for work? I'm actually currently unemployed. My bank just got lost. Okay, great. Well, that's very uplifting. All right. B-Rob then finds out if America is heading into a depression. Oh, no. Do you see the American economy heading into a depression? No.
Not at all? So there's no need for some kind of like Valium Day or something like that? What a Valium Day? So do you think that I'll be able to afford a full gallon of milk again and not have to steal cups of cream from Starbucks every time I go? Absolutely. I do not, for the record. Yeah, I don't care how much money this kid gets. Exactly. No, do I. It's a hobby. That's not milk. Okay, now let me preface this last one. Hold on, because I know where we're going. He's a hothead. He's a hothead. This is audio of some goody two-shoes, rich, white, middle-aged woman who was too good to even share the sidewalk with me.
Let it out, Rob. Let's take a listen. Excuse me, miss. Would you care to talk about the economy? No? Won't even look me in the eye? Thanks. Hey, I'm a person, too. Oh, wow. Do you know how many of those I got? 174. Good job, Rob. That was phenomenal. Never going back. I feel like I can't stand still anymore. All right, text number is 35253.
Our phone number is 570-1053. Give us a call or a text. Can you hear me? I cannot run away. Wait till I tell you who has a new holiday variety show on NBC. Oh, this is a doozy. Oh, wait till you hear this. It's after this. Dear people of the world, the Mikey Show is on. But at what cost? At what cost?
This is The Rock. The official is reviewing the play, and wow, I think he blew the call. Let's go to the field. Upon further review, the ruling on the field is ridiculous. I just blew the whistle because I had a piece of stadium hot dog in my throat. First down, San Diego. What if everything was as easy as buying a Honda? Phillies are up 2-0 over the Brewers with a 5-2 win. Yesterday, Shane Victorino. Yeah. He had the big shot hitting a grand slam. Miramar Air Show starts today, by the way. I'm going. Are you?
Yeah. Really? My brothers want to go. Yesterday, did anybody else see all them planes flying around? No, was there? It was like six. Were they practicing? Right above my house. Six planes? Yeah. All together, flying in unison. Oh, wow. My dogs were going nuts. I didn't see it. Well, get used to it. Yeah, three days of the Miramar air show. The Blue Angels are back this year. That was them. That was them. They were in my house. They were booed. Oh, all right. I've identified them. I mean, yeah, that probably was them. That was.
It was like shaking the house. Yeah. It was like, Sky, are you calling me? Robert. Wow. Oh, look at that look. Look at that look that Sky just gave. Hey, no more energy drinks for you. Okay, you are cut off, bro. His Boston Red Sox hat is like barely on his head. Yeah, he is lopsided right now. Yeah, all he's had this morning is energy drinks. Two of them. Those big old ones. Two of them. What's going on with this guy? Two pints of energy drinks.
Too much. So anyways, Saturday night. He's had so much energy drink, it's turned him into one of the three stooges. Saturday night there's going to be a special twilight show with fireworks and everything and admission and parking and then just blanket seating are free. So it's a good free thing. Never been to one. Really? Never been to an air show. I've heard they're cool. Yeah, me too. It's hot out there. Never heard of it. I'm a tarmac. Mikey's show.
Hello. Yeah. Mike, can you get on your air? That is a turned up radio. Yeah, it's a bad one. Not an example of a P1. P1 turns their radio down, gets to the point, and doesn't cuss. If you're going to call in, just turn that radio down. Get to your point, and don't cuss. It's easy. Broadway is going to dim their lights tonight in honor of Paul Newman. Now, what does that mean? They're not going to turn them off. They're just going to turn them down. Yeah, all of Broadway at 8 o'clock Eastern tonight will dim their lights for one minute
in honor of Paul Newman, who died last week. Mikey, awesome edition of Mikey Peace Theater today. Awesome! Just one thing, why was Frank Oz playing the role of the Terminator? Just curious. That's a fair question. Yes, that is a fair question. Mikey. Is that Grover? Is that... Mikey, just a thought. Playing the most annoying sound in the world.
That's right. Mikey, just a thought. Obama and Palin running together. Definitely a charming and good-looking pair. Rob was just saying that off the air. Is that text from Rob? Because Rob was just saying that off the air. It's P1 Demikin. And he also said he wants Sarah Palin to make him a sandwich. Yeah, she'd be great at it. I bet she would make a great sandwich. You guys get that feeling? Some kind of panini. Something warm. Crust cut off? Homemade. Crust cut off? Yeah. Why do you do that? No, no point in doing that. You really upset Rob with that. Mikey, I heard you talking about a really good hot sauce from another country.
Do you remember the name of it? That's P1 Bacon Fiend. Oh, sure. Eddie brought it back from St. Lucia when he went on his honeymoon. He brought it back, and it was the greatest. It was hot. Yeah. It's Scotch Bonnet, and it's called Barron's West Indian Sauce. That's hot. And, Eddie, didn't they tell you there that they use it like ketchup there or something? Yeah, I mean, it was on every single table. Wow. Everywhere you went. And it's good. It's getting hot in here. So hot. So take off all your clothes. Mikey, I have a legitimate question.
Was the gentleman on Wall Street wearing L.A. gear? That's P1. L.A. gear. Tenacious. Awesome. Mikey, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Rob is awesome. I deliver beer in La Jolla. Those people suck. That's P1,000. There he is. Mikey, just a word of advice. Maybe next time you send Rob down there in a suit so more people will talk to him. There you go. That's a nice suggestion. But he doesn't own one. That's right. Get me a suit. We could give him like a nice thrift store suit.
Yeah, exactly. Yes. Something that like. The pack is on the elbows. Yeah, like someone a wino would wear. Exactly. I look like George Zimmer. Right? Mikey Show. Hi, Mikey. What's up? P1 Jim. What's up? Hi, I appreciate all you do on the airwaves, you and your crew. Thank you, bro. Hey, but has anybody really stopped and thought that it's no ill will towards McCain if he dies? Well, I mean, they've been, they said that last night on the debates. They said, you know, what are you going to do if either of your guys die?
But I get the point you're making, you're saying he's old. Yeah, one foot in the grave. Palin would beat Hillary at being the first woman president. Wait, wait, wait. What about Hillary? What? He said Palin would beat Hillary. Oh, oh, oh. Well, listen. Don't you go dying on me. McCain happened to pass away. Listen, McCain's not going to die because he's old. Yeah, I know. He looks pretty well pickled to me. Come on. Don't you go dying on me. Mikey Show.
I will pour the grilled cheese in everybody's house. Exactly. Are you there, dude? Yeah, totally. Oh, go ahead. Um, just, it's Boston Rob who's the one, um, all junked up on the energy drinks. Yes, it is. Boston Rob. No. Okay. No, totally. Like, if you want to see a bunch of people cracked out on energy drinks, then he'll sit right in. Go to In-N-Out at like 1230 or like 8 o'clock at night and he'll sit exactly in. You'll see these people going crazy, big old smiles on their face and everything. How old are you? It'll give you guys a major kick. How old are you?
19. What are you doing down there at 12 o'clock at night drinking energy drinks? I work there. Oh, I gotcha. I gotcha. Mikey Show. Yeah, I was just wondering, if you're going to interview the contest winners of yesterday. Which contest winners, sir? The questions, the two people you invited in today. Oh, oh, oh, well, yeah, sure. Is this, are you related to one of them? Yeah, my son. Oh, your son's in here. Oh, look, he's all in there. Get over on the microphone. Get over on the microphone.
Let me tell you something. We have two winners in the studio right now. We've got two guys in the studio right now. We've got a guy and a girl. We've got P1 J-Mac and P1 Simone. J-Mac is 23 years old, and he has an administrative job. He does some office work. And he is in the studio right now, and his dad just called in and embarrassed him. He's got a proud papa. That's the best. I could be sleeping right now, but I'm retired, so I could be sleeping, but I'm waiting for him to talk. Yeah, J-Mac, come on, you got to say something here today so you get your dad all fired up. Yeah, I don't know.
He doesn't have a normal sleep schedule, so I don't feel too bad. It's off and on, sleeping all day. All right, J-Mac, now is your moment in the sun. This is your 15 minutes. It's your time to shine, bro. I am going to give you a topic, and I want you to speak on it, and then we'll go to your dad for his review. Are you ready? Sounds good, Mike. The House is going to vote on Wall Street today on the bailout plan. Go ahead. That's a fun topic. Give him an easy topic. Yeah, fun pop culture.
Money, money, money. Well, I don't know. It's too early. I'm hopped up on these energy drinks, too. Show me the money. But I don't know. I think that these billion-dollar companies, which can afford to lose money, obviously they made bad mistakes, are getting bailed out while the little companies are taking hits. Yes. Go to answer that. I don't know, but I'm not an economic genius, so I'm sure they've got it. Like Rob. Yeah, of course.
Dad, what did you think? How do you think he did, Dad? Well, I think he did great. But the one part he left out is that I emailed my senator and congressman and asked them to bail me out. Oh, look at you, Dad. He's very active. They sent a very nice graphic. It wasn't very nice graphic back, you know. Yeah. Oh. Yeah. One item stuck up. You're never going to completely please your father. That's all I'm going to tell you, Dave. You're never going to completely please this guy. No matter what, he's going to say, listen, it wasn't bad, but he should have mentioned
the fact that I sent something to my senator and congressman. And it doesn't matter how old you get, they will always embarrass you. That's right. It doesn't matter. That's right. I was really impressed yesterday, the strategy that he used to, he went through the... Hey, Dad, this is your son's show right now, okay? This is your son's time to shine. I'm going to go ahead and pull the plug on this show and go back to the side of the room. Thank you very much. Hey, Dad, thanks for calling in. We appreciate it. You're welcome, son. All right, we'll see you. That's your fucking phone, man.
That is so cute. That is cute. Mikey Show. Hey, it's P1 Gunslinger. Good morning. What's up, Gunslinger? Hey, I was hoping Zeth would answer, but I'll ask you. I was going to bring your bacon by today, so just giving you a heads up. Yeah, yeah. Gunslinger smokes his own bacon. Oh, yeah. What time are you thinking about bringing it by? Yes, you're all mentioning a pork product here. No, I'm just saying. What time do you think it'll be, hypothetically? I'm just saying, if we're not here, it will go bad over the weekend. If you smoke anything else, it'll be before stand there, Miss Skye.
Okay, that is awesome. Let me ask you a question. Is it just ham we're talking? Or other breakfast meats. Sausage or langreezo. It's chorizo. It's chorizo. Yeah, I'm sure. You had me at ham and eggs. More specifically, ham. Ham? I like ham. Thank you. Mikey Show. Hi, I have a little issue I wanted to see if I could get your guys' take on. Yeah.
Okay, well, I have a three-year-old son. And he wants to be a kitty cat for Halloween. That is awesome. And I support it. I don't. But at the same time, in my head, I can imagine my little three-year-old son in leotards. Come on, Mom. And I just don't know. What do you guys think?
First of all, his middle name Aiken. First of all, I'm going to tell you right now, all of the village people started outdressing as kitty cats. All right, then it turned into the cop, the Indian, the Navy guy, and the phone fixer. Wasn't that what he was? I don't remember him. I don't remember what he was. Phone fixer. Whatever. Phone fixer. Telephone repairman. I thought that's what he was. I don't know. Neither here nor there. Anyway. Come on, you can't dress a three-year-old up like a cat. He's a boy.
He's a boy. Oh, so there's not boy cats? Yeah, a lion. It could be a lion. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, no, I'm saying like actual cats. There's boys. That's how they reproduce. Yeah, you make a lion. Nope. Yeah, make the male cats. No. We took him to Party City, and I tried to show him the lion, and there was a scary cat. And he just said, no, I want to be a good kitty. I want to be a nice kitty. Oh, come on. Let it be that day. Yeah, and you don't have to put him in a leotard. You can, like, do up sweatpants, you know, to look like a cat. No, if you are doing it, put them in the leotard. I'm sorry.
Take pictures and make sure you teach him this lesson next year. Rob, he's three. Leave him alone. He'll learn. He'll learn. Oh, well, listen, I guess to each their own. Skye thinks he should do it. Of course. She loves cats. Well, I love cats, and I think if that's what he really wants to be, you know, and she's pursued other options with him. I will not shut my mouth. Shut your mouth. Eddie, you say absolutely 100% no way. I know. Well, what would you say to him, Eddie?
An attack dog. Dress him like an attack dog. Yeah. How would you handle that? You saw your, you got the Chewbacca outfit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Send her the link. Yeah, we'll send you the link to get a Chewbacca outfit. It kind of looks like a kitty cat. He was Chewbacca. His very first costume was Chewbacca. Mm-hmm. And the material, it was like a rayon-ish type polyester material, and it made him break out in like a super wrap. Oh, now you are all up in Mike's kitchen now. Fine. Go as what I'm going to be wearing this year. What was that? Ashley's dog, Sammy. I'm going as Ashley's dog, Sammy.
That is the scariest outfit you've ever worn. That is so cute, Mike. That's what I'm going to be. I love that you're wearing it. That's what I'm going to be. Kids are going to cry. They're going to run in fear. They are not. She's my chubby baby seal. Well, you've got to work on a little underbite. Sammy has a little bit of an underbite. Only when she's like chewing a toy and she doesn't realize it and it's like an underbite. The kids don't realize she has it. You've got to go to a canine orthodontist. Put on about 80 pounds. Have him break your jaw and set it forward. She's so cute. Put on about 80 pounds. Oh, my gosh.
I love her. Why don't you try that, ma'am? Why don't you try, you know, going as Sammy? Take a sledgehammer to your face. Not true. Yeah, and then when you're done, sledgehammer it again. You're almost there. Yeah, just keep sledgehammering. No. Stop it. Kitty cat. Tammy's very cute. How dare you? Thank you. You do have a screw loose lady. You get it. You're a good woman. If by cute you mean fell into the garbage disposal, then yes, you are absolutely correct. While it was on.
While it was on. While it was moving, thank you very much for the call and good luck to you. No, do not dress your kid like a kitty cat. Do whatever you want. He's three. No. No. That's only because Fall Out Boy costumes were all sold out, I guess. This is the Mikey Show. Wow. If he says one more cool thing, he's in. This is The Rock. I called up AIS, went down there. They put me at $325 on my brand-new FZ1. And the other bike would have been $748. Now, do you only drive a motorcycle? You don't have a car? Dude, I actually got my car insurance there last October, and they did me right, too. They saved you money on that, too? Dude, yeah, it was about 400 bucks. So if you have a motorcycle, if you have a car, you've got to switch over to AIS. Dude, thank you for calling, bro. Thanks, man. Welcome back.
It is 9.30. Today, the jury started deliberations in the O.J. Simpson kidnapping and robbery trial. The Rays enjoyed their first playoff game. They beat the White Sox 6-4. Evan Longoria goes deep twice. Favorite character on Desperate Housewives, by the way. Favorite one. I want to so badly know what you guys are doing for your Mikey idols. I'm not even in the competition, but my brain is already wanting to know. Mine is so super top secret. Really?
My whole performance. Mine too. It's going to be ridiculous. Sky cordoned off the performance studio yesterday. I had a rehearsal. And had a rehearsal in there. I don't know what was going on, but I heard music pumping out of there. I should probably rehearse. That's right. I didn't even think about that. And Sky won't tell us. It's top secret. Top secret, bro. You're on the suit and never says anything when we talk about my cat. idol i know it i know ash hasn't said ash do you have a surprise oh yeah you're not gonna tell us no way nobody's willing to tell what about obigity obig he's always a big hit at mikey idol are you gonna give us anything i guess i have to you don't have to do anything you're not
comfortable with john but you certainly can yeah i'm so curious we wouldn't hold it against i don't know what anyone's gonna do i want to know i wonder what era of music sean would sing The 90s? 90s or 10? 60s? The 60s. Elvis Presley. Ah, a doo-wop. All right, funny. Yeah, the 20s? I'm sorry, the roaring 20s. That's right. Maybe something from today's favorites? Yeah, well, it'd be today's hits and yesterday's favorites. Now, my guess is he'll do something from the 80s. No.
No, the 80s. It's entirely possible. From the 80s. Now. It's possible. Now. And I might even dress up. What did he say? I might even dress up. I don't know what that means. Oh, it's going to be the best thing ever. Is it a Ukrainian song? Now, that is a legitimate question. It's a Ukrainian 80s song. Booster seat. Sean, come on. What are you going to do?
I'm not going to say. No, there's no way. Please. But I have a really great song. And now that I'm thinking that, you know, you guys are, I don't know what you're doing. It's obvious that you're doing something very special. So I will try and do something very special as well in keeping with the song that I'm doing. Sean does, when he performs, he kind of looks angry. Kind of? He looks really angry. You've got to pull out all the stops. I mean, you've heard that saying, giving 110%. Sean does.
Yes, he does. It's disturbing. Yes, he does. Yes, he does. Do you remember, you know, Buffalo Bill when he was dancing? I think you hit it. Very similar. I think you hit the nail on the head, Eddie. It's exactly like that scene from Silence of the Lamps. Okay, it may emotionally scar you. I won't. So, anyway, yeah. In less than a week now. Oh, my God. In less than a week, the 28-hour show will be on the air. And I'd just like to say for the record, Rob has not been in contact with me about practicing for Guitar Hero.
Is that right, Rob? Which I've offered. I've offered. Big surprise. When does he ever practice for any of this? Hey, by the way, Eddie, speaking of you and Rob, video is up on the website of you and Rob. Awesome. With Rob on your lap. You do not want to watch this, people. Just go to Mikeyshow.com and there is video available of Rob sitting on Eddie's lap. It's under new on the show. It says B-Rob drives on Eddie's lap. Okay. Oh, here it is. So check it out.
Oh, come on. Right? How good is that? How good is that? It's fantastic. Apparently, Yogi Bear is being made into a live action animated movie. Hey, boo-boo. Oh, wow. What else do we need? You know, kind of Alvin and the Chipmunks style. You know, the one with Jason Lee that just came out a while ago. So, Yogi Bear. Can't wait. Do they say the stars? No, no. So, then, like, the ranger will be, like, a real person. A real person. And then Yogi and Boo-boo. Animated.
No, no, no. Hey, boo-boo. Hey, boo-boo. Sky, wow, that was a really, I liked it. I liked it. I don't understand. Is she choking on something? Hey, boo-boo. Does anyone know the Heimlich? Is that The Terminator? I love The Terminator. Skye has new movies that are coming out this weekend. Dude, I don't know what is going on, but we have like 800 movies coming out today. Hey, did I tell you that my wife went and saw, because her girlfriends asked her to go see that Richard Gere thing? How was it? Oh, how was it? She said it was the worst movie she's ever seen, ever.
Wow. Yeah, the reviews were pretty bad. She said it was terrible. So she's going on and on and on, right? And she's telling me how terrible it is. And she goes, oh, by the way, I cried. She's the best. I go, what? What the heck? I go, what? And she goes, yeah. You did what? She goes, but, yeah, you did what? She goes, yeah. She goes, but it was totally cheap. She goes, it's like when they, in the scary movies, when it's just like, boo. Right. She goes, it was totally cheap.
And she said, and as I was crying, I was looking at the screen and thinking in my head, this is so awful what you just did. She said, because the only reason I'm even crying, she said, is because she has estrogen pumping through her veins. Right, right. What a disappointment. But that it's the worst movie ever. Oh, that's annoying. That's a bummer. Okay, new movies out today. Oh, wait a minute. Before you do that, you know how P1JMac's dad called in? Yeah. Yeah. We have two guests in the studio. We have P1 Simone and P1 J-Mac. Uh-oh, Simone.
They're both sitting in the studio. Just chilling. Apparently, P1 Simone's dad felt a little left out. I don't blame him. I don't blame him. Shut up. I don't blame him. Hey, Steve. Yeah. Your daughter is Simone, right? Yes. That's correct. And are you calling in because you heard that we had the other guy's dad on? I heard the other guy's dad. Yeah. And what did you think? About what? Well, I mean, are you feeling like, hey, man, there's a little inequality going on here? Yeah, we need a little air time for my girl.
Yeah, what about the woman's movement? You got that right. Are we going to give her a topic or what? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll tell you what I'll do, Steve, for your daughter. I will give your daughter a topic and I will allow her to speak on it. What do you think about that? Absolutely. Do you think that that's a little bit, you know? That's fair. That's fair. It's a little bit more fair, right? Unnecessary. All right, so here is your daughter's topic. The House is going to vote on Wall Street's bailout.
That's the same topic. Same topic. I don't know what the big whoop. I don't know what the big whoop. We've covered him. It is on everybody's mind right now. Fine. I will give you another topic that you can speak to. Your topic is, the nation of Georgia has recently tried to declare their sovereignty. Hey, don't worry. Shirt alert. Stop. All right, here we go. Your topic is, the Philadelphia Phillies. Sports. I like it.
What do you think will happen in the rest of the series between the Phillies and the Brewers? Talk to me, please. And Simone, you're on. P1 Simone. I'm dying to know. Well, I'd like to hear Eddie's opinion on this. This is not Eddie's segment. This is your segment right now. This is all about you. My dad's not calling in. I'm just reaching out here. All right, I tell you what. I tell you what, that was tough. I won't go there. Okay. I'll give you another one. Okay. The Rays enjoyed their first playoff game. They beat the White Sox. What do you think will happen in the rest of that series, Simone?
Just make something up. That's what I always do. The White Sox are definitely going to come out on top. Really? I think they're going to come back and win the series, huh? This is a shocking analysis. Wow. P1 Steve, what did you think of your daughter's analysis? Not bad for off the cuff. Aw, that's a good dad. How about this, Simone? Rosie O'Donnell is going to host her own holiday variety show on NBC. You can't make stuff up. Is this a holiday special? And by the way, there are talks of turning it into a series.
A series, a series. If the ratings are good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's do it all the time if the ratings are good. It's going to be an hour-long live program on November 26th featuring comedy, music, and talk. Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell. So how do you feel about that, Simone? I mean, I never miss a MySpace vlog, so I'll have to check that out. Oh, good. She's a fan.
Well done. She's a rosy fan. Well said. Steve, there's your daughter. Thank you very much. I think she did great. Absolutely. All right. Thanks for calling. Okay. Bye-bye. What's your old man like? Is he a good dude? Yeah. He's great. He's funny. Pretty nice guy. Sounded like a nice guy. Yeah. Let's see. So you want to do new movies? Never heard of it. Let's do new movies. Okay. So here we go. New movies out today. An American Carol. What? Now, this is one of those spoof films, kind of like epic movies. Oh, is this the one with Chris Farley's brother?
Oh, is that who it is? Yeah, I think so. No way. Chris Farley's brother is now, I guess, an actor. Really? And he, I mean, he just looks like Chris Farley. That's the only thing I know about him. Weird. It's just weird. Yeah, and he basically, in this movie, kind of plays like Michael Moore, you know, because it's a spoof movie. Right. So, he's a filmmaker, a documentary filmmaker, who's out to try and cancel the 4th of July holiday. So, he gets visited by three ghosts who try and show him the good sides of the USA. Oh, that's funny.
Never heard of it. American Carol. That's funny to me. Yeah. Beverly Hills Chihuahua out today with the voices of Drew Barrymore, Andy Garcia, George Lopez. Have you lost your mind? Really? George Lopez is in Beverly Hills Chihuahua? I know, it's a shocking casting. I can't believe that George Lopez is in Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Chihuahua. Oh, sure. Sky, are you just making racist jokes? Is that a real story? Is that a real story? So it is Carlos Mencia and Tommy Chong. Yeah, exactly.
And Guzano. The cameo from Mikey. Congratulations. I had no idea. Also out today, we have Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist. Yes. That looks so good. Nick and Nora's. I can't wait. Yes. Infinite Playlist. Mike's out of the loop a little bit. You heard it first. Yeah. Yeah, I don't understand. Michael Cera. Michael Cera, bro. Said the dude from... George Michael. You Knocked Me Up. Wait, no. That was a great movie. No. From the makers of The 40-Year-Old Virgin. No.
George Michael from Arrested Development. George Michael. Faith. No. You know who George Michael is? Michael Cera played George Michael on Arrested Development. I know who you're talking about. I love that guy. Yeah. It's funny. Yeah. It's from Juneau, Alaska. Oh, no. So is Palin. No, no, she's not. There you go. Okay. Also out today, we have Flash of Genius. Anyone? The true story. Greg here. True story of his long battle with the auto industry. It's a flappy genius.
Yeah, it's like a weird song. Something about making. Hey, Ashley, come on. What happened to you, Sandy? Hey, Sandy, did you have a stroke? Did you have a stroke or something? It doesn't matter. Hey, Sandy. You are a lot hotter in the summer. Hang on a second. Clear? You've got a cleft palate. Oh, really? Hey, Sandy, let me try to clear your airways. Got to hail it for something.
Oh, man. All right. We also have How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. Oh, yeah. I've been doing that for years. That's a movie? Yeah. Oh, you're reading my diary. Simon Pegg, Jeff Bridges, Kirsten Dunst. Yes, Kirsten Dunst. Ashley is not a fan. She'll be there. Okay. We also have Blindness out today, which is Julianne Moore. This is the most politically incorrect movie list I've ever heard in my life. Oh, no, Mike.
Yeah, I guess a plague starts to make everybody blind. Great. Is it a horror movie? That's a comedy. I'd say maybe sci-fi more than horror. I don't know. Thriller. Thriller. There you go. We have The Express, based on true story of a college football hero, first African-American to win the Heisman. How many times? Is Denzel Washington in it? No. Yes. Dennis Quaid. It's Dennis Quaid, isn't it? It sounds like one of those Denzel Washington, you know, inspirational movies that I've seen 9,000 times already. And then finally, we have Religulous out today.
Yeah, Bill Maher. Did Sky mispronounce that? No, that's actually the title. It's pronounced religious. Religulous. Oh, well, somebody, oh, well, somebody today. Oh, wow. So, yeah, Bill Maher documentary examining religion around the world. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. Check it out. The Mikey Show. Welcome back. You guys hear about the Helio Castroneva's tax evasion thing? Oh, no. It's a deal. Not cool. Well, you know, he's kind of become more and more popular, especially with the wind from Dancing with the Stars. And I guess somehow he got on the radar of the IRS and they started looking into it.
And he is now charged with tax evasion and is accused of siphoning millions of dollars of income to a shell company set up in Panama dating back to 1999. They are alleging it's about $5 million worth of income that he did not pay taxes on. Really? That's a lot of money. So what can happen? I wonder how bad it can get. They say if convicted, he could face up to 35 years behind bars. Oh, wow. but we know that won't happen, but I guess that's the max. In Florida, they found a mammoth tooth,
and they think that it got unearthed during Hurricane Ike. Wow. Oh, did I write Florida? I'm sorry. Where is it? It should be Texas. In Texas. Yeah, my bad. But, yeah, this guy, you know, these people were evacuated because of Hurricane Ike and came back. Turns out it's Oprah's. It's Oprah's mammoth tooth. It's an easy mistake. It's an easy mistake. That's weird. They didn't know. Anyone could have made that mistake. Oh, gosh. See, when I heard they found a mammoth tooth, I thought they were referring to... Oh, gosh, my bad.
She grew up in a suburb of Houston. So, yeah, they say the tooth is about the size of a football. That's about right. Yeah. I want to see that so bad. That's cool. You can watch it every day. Four o'clock. They're so dumb. It had, like, a crown in it. They should have known. in the beginning and been like... It's got a big old diamond in it. It was all blinged out. A piece of Stedman. Was Stedman stuck to it? Wow.
Let's see. The suspects accused of abducting that El Cajon teenager faced the judge yesterday. It's a horrible story. So this happened earlier in the week. This girl from El Cajon, this young girl, a teenage girl, was taking the trolley and I guess got lost downtown because she was not that familiar with the trolley system. And so a group of people came up, four people came up to her, offered to help her, and I guess she, and give her a ride back to her home in El Cajon. And I guess she felt safe with them because they had a little baby.
They had like an eight-month-old baby with them. So she figured, oh, this is like a family, like I can trust them. Well, they drove her up to an Oceanside motel room. And, yeah, I don't know if you want me to tell you or me, That's the DA telling you. I get it. But yeah, they're basically going to try and sell her on the internet. That's awful. Yeah. That's the worst thing I've ever heard. Yeah, they were going to sell her on the internet. And luckily when they fell asleep, she was able to sneak out and get help. So yeah, so they were in, three of them were in court yesterday on felony charges that include kidnapping, extortion, conspiracy, to commit pimping, pandering, robbery. So I just locked those people up.
It was three men? It was three men? No, I believe it was two men and two women. That's just awful. Yeah, ranging in age from 19 to 22 years old. What? It's just so deranged, you know? Yeah. Yeah, brutal. And how they're just there, and they come up with that. Yeah, right. And they've got a baby, you know? Yeah, they have an eight-month-old baby with them. Which I hope is out of their custody now and in the hands of, you know, oh, that is just so bad. i just don't know how you can objectify a human being like that well not just that part but the part about like uh where does you know where does your heart take that turn right where does your
heart take that turn yeah that's what i mean like you know that that's a person that's a human they have you know they have feelings they have you know how do you turn that switch off in your brain that's and and not only not you you have the you have the trying to figure that part out and then you go and then how would it happen with four people at the same time yeah collaboratively oh that is so so terrible well and then i'm assuming that this girl is now home safe yeah and so and each of the suspects is being held on 500 000 bail they're not messing around half a
million dollars worth of bail and no bail and i would not allow bail oh that's true that's that That is so awful. Let's see. The Raiders are talking about the Al Davis press conference. Oh, gosh. Jamarcus Russell was a little surprised to hear that his former head coach, Lane Kiffin, didn't want him. Didn't want to draft him. And Al Davis kind of slipped that one in there, you know, in the press conference. Right. And so Jamarcus is like, yeah, you know, Al didn't really need to say that. Didn't really make me feel very good.
I bet. Yeah, and then Warren Sapp, who played for the Raiders, said if anybody had any interest in going to the Raiders and signing with the Raiders, they should call me first, and I will tell them, do not go there. Yeah, probably not sign with the Raiders, because it was awful. Probably not a good idea. I enjoyed Sean's yesterday email today, which said the following. Okay. He says, last night my wife wakes me up at 11.32. Because our cat is limping and she feels a lump in the cat's abdomen. Oh, no.
We take the cat to the emergency vet. Oh, my gosh. Pulled muscle. No comment, it says. Pulled muscle, no comment. So you didn't even sleep last night, Sean? Not really, no. Because of a pulled cat muscle. it happens well I mean you know the thing is like yeah this cat is very old 13 I think 13 yeah
so I get I totally get it you know the cat's limping don't know what's wrong it's kind of scary can't wait for the morning my wife is very attached to these animals very attached I'd do the same thing. I would do the same thing. But maybe not, you know, the next morning? Yeah. Well, it depends how extreme the limp is. How severe the limp was. Yeah. Like if the cat was using a cane or something. That would be severe.
Like a crutch. A crutch. Hey. Did he have a little kitty crutch? No. Yeah. All right. Well, the only reason that they knew is because the cat actually, the crutch slipped. Oh, no. And they heard the kitty crutch smash against the wood floor. That is not true. And they woke up, they were like, what was the matter? What's happening? Yeah, right. And they ran out into. What's wrong with the professor? Oh, the professor. It was not the professor. Oh, it wasn't the professor.
No, it was Mrs. Boots. Oh, I apologize. Not Mrs. Boots. I mean, are we having a real conversation right now on the radio? I apologize. I don't think I could ever take Sean seriously again. Honey, Mrs. Boots, crutch fell out. She doesn't have a crutch. Put the mini cat brace on the knee. Porn PCL, I think. Look it, Mrs. Boots looks like Donovan McNabb with the crutch on the, with the crutch. With a brace on there.
Honey, where's Mrs. Boots' walking brace? So wait, Mrs. Boots is married? It ain't Ms. Boots, dude. Is there a Mr. Boots? It ain't Ms. Boots. No, there's no, she's a widow. Well, then care for her. Poor little girl. This is the worst. Wow. So you guys, I'm guessing, put Mrs. Boots in one of those crates. Yeah, a little cat carrier.
A little cat carrier. Yeah. And off you go at 11.30 at night. That's amazing. It's crazy. Now, does she know that you get up early? I think she's aware. No, no, no. Maybe she doesn't know. She wanted to go by herself. I wouldn't allow it. Aw, you're such a sweet guy. You're a gentleman and a scholar. Oh, wow. All right, fine. That armor is shining. Good man.
Armor is shining. What time did you get out of the old... pet ER? I don't know. It was pretty late, though. It was pretty late. It took about I don't know, an hour or two? Hour and a half? I'm surprised they haven't done a version of ER on one of the networks that's like a vet ER. Like a drama. Oh, they do. I watch it every day. They have a reality show, but they don't have a drama. No, like a drama like ER with Clooney and stuff. It would be a comedy. Clowns rolling in
with pulled muscle cats at midnight. Crutches. I'd laugh every minute of that. It's unbelievable. It's unbelievable. Not cool, Ted. What's the name of your cat, sir? Mrs. Boots. Mrs. Butterworth. Okay. All right. Wow. Mrs. Boots. That's the nurse coming out into the waiting room. Mrs. Boots. Here. Nell Carter. Come on back. What's the problem with Mrs. Boots? She's got an alien in her stomach or something.
We don't know. No, there's no alien. She have a fever? How am I supposed to check that lady? Temperature gauge in the butt. I don't have any of that material. Temperature gauge. Yeah, right. Is she running a high blood pressure? I don't know. I don't have a minimum blood pressure machine. Is she taking any high blood pressure medication? She is not on any meds. Diabetes. What? Diabetes. Does Mrs. Boots have diabetes? I don't think so.
Have you checked? How am I supposed to check? Temperature gauge in the butt. I've already told you I don't have that. Can you just please help her? Had any seizures within the last four and a half years? I don't remember. Is she insured through Prudential? No. We don't carry Prudential anymore. We don't have that. We don't honor United Healthcare. That's what I have. Sorry, you gotta go. 570-1053.
Our text number is 35253. Use it Monday. We gotta go. But you can call. You can call. We'd love to hear from you. 570-1053. What are you guys doing this weekend? Anything good? Sox game. Talk about it. Yeah. Boston Rob. Anna G. Drink. Anna G. Drink. No more for him. Isn't Zeth back? Why is he still in that room? I told him to take five. That's weird. Yeah, I'm just going to freak out about the 28-hour show all weekend. That's your plan? That's my plan. Your plan is to start freaking out?
Wake up tomorrow morning. Freak out. Mrs. Boots. Shut up. You got to do physical therapy. Oh, wow. Yeah, what did they do for Mrs. Boots? Give her a cat Vicodin? Yeah, they give her a little kitty Vicodin. Sean took it. A little kitty. Thank you very much. One for you, one for me. One for booties, one for daddy. One for you, two for me. Exactly, that's what it'd be more like. Eddie, you doing anything?
Just a football game on Sunday. Yeah. How about you, Ash? I'm mentally preparing myself for the 28-hour show. That's right. Yeah, for sure. Getting in the zone. 100%. 570-1053 is the number. Beginning and end of every show. Mike? Yeah. I'll be out at Oak Ridge Mall this weekend. Again? I'm probably going to go to the movies and hit Barnes & Noble. If you have time. I'll probably have time. Bed Bath & Beyond? I think I'm going to buy Iron Man.
You haven't tried it yet? No, not yet. Got anything going on down at Santana Rowe this weekend? I don't care. I mean, there's Best Buy down there, but I don't think I'm going to make it. It's a little bit far. But I'll be at Oak Ridge. I'll see you at the Dairy Queen. All right. Mike, I really do have an appearance, though. You do? At the Plone Yard Camel? Boston Rob, sponsored by Marlboro Light. P1 Odin. Hey, Mikey. What's up? Hey, I got some info about the cage fights they had last night over at Saquon. Oh, I didn't know they did cage fights at Saquon. This was the first time, man. They had 10 fights all together. They were outside. They had one chick fight, even. Really?
MMA at Saquon. At Saquon. It was a killer event, man. A tough fight. Right on. A couple guys from the UFC, Jesse Taylor, Drew Fickett. Yeah. What? How about that? Did they fight? Yeah, they fought. Jesse Taylor fought? They never pounded him out in the first round. No way. Oh, sure. That's crazy. He's not under contract? What's that? Jesse Taylor's not under contract with the UFC? No, he got the boot, remember, for kicking that window out of the window. He came back. He fought. He fought last night.
Oh, boy. But it wasn't UFC. It was a total combat event. Wow, that's crazy. Right on. All right, dude. Thanks a lot, Mike. Appreciate it. Thank you, Odin. P1 Chris. Hey, what's up, Mikey? What's up, dude? Hey, I just wanted to say, you know what? That Mikey P's theater is insane. Yeah. Eddie, you know what? Your impersonation, a canoe, that was insane. A canoe. Sky, you were double over the top. She was way double over the top. I'm sorry, but I got to give you more of this guy today. I fully accept that. Thank you.
I was really good. Sky, you were insane. I love you, babe. Thank you. You're the most annoying sound in the world. Hey, rest up, you guys. Thank you. All right. We're going to need it. Hey, dude, are you coming? Oh, are you kidding me? Yep. I'm friends with Quimby. I'm going to be there. There you go, dude. There you go. We love it. Thank you for calling. Thanks. Mikey Show. Hello. Hi. Hi. Hi. This is P1JC's girl. What's up? Hey, I am getting married at Dodger Stadium Sunday. No way. Whoa, at Dodger Stadium? That's crazy. No way.
What's up with that? Yeah, I'm getting married to a P1 diehard Dodger fan. That's awesome. I want to get Fenway from my family. Yeah, so I just wanted to send a shout out to him. Hey, was it hard to do that? Yeah. Well, I mean, we're doing it right outside the park. We're doing it like Mexican style. Carne asada, bring your own lawn chair and beer. No wonder they said yes. So, yeah. Oh, that's cool. It's at Chavez Ravine. They had to say yes to carne asada. Exactly. Manny will be presiding over the... Of course. Of course.
That's cool. Okay, so have a good weekend. I know I will. Thank you. Congrats. Bye. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, it's cool, bae. Hey, it's cool, bae. Oh, my gosh. So, check it out. So, as a result of that eating contest yesterday, The inside of my mouth is so raw. Really? Really? Well, that's what you got. Yeah. Ashley. Ashley's still bitter. Oh, man. She's still bitter. It's okay that you lost, Ashley. It's okay. Can't win a ball. It's not okay, Ash. It is okay. I'm telling you, man. We want to get soap.
Wait, what? As the crow flies? That's right. Sorry. You blew it. Yeah, I'm thinking I'm going to have to get a skin graft for the inside of my cheeks and my tongue. You probably will. Yeah, you deserve it. Yeah, gargle with salt water. Oh, no. Or train them. Well, I can't wait for next week, you guys. I'm so stoked. Awesome. Thank you. Thanks, Quimby. We can't wait to see you out here. I love you guys, and I will be the best Paula Abdul you've ever seen. You got it.
All right. We'll see you. P1 Philly's Finest is on the line. Oh, no. Hey, what's up? What's up, dude? I just wanted to give a shout out and thank everybody, all the P1s, that sent some thoughts and prayers to my friend Amy because she gave birth to a stillborn a couple weeks ago. Oh, dude, that sucks. So, yeah, it's been kind of hard on her. And her and her husband, they had the funeral for her yesterday. And I unfortunately couldn't make it because I had to work and all that stuff. But I just wanted to thank everybody for all the messages on the message board.
So I appreciate it. Oh, that's cool. Hey, man, thanks for calling, dude. All right. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey. What's up? Hey, you know how you do your testimony on Fridays? Uh-huh. I really appreciate it, totally. I'm a Christian, too, from a long drug addiction. I was just wondering, have you ever thought about letting other people give their testimony? I have. Huh. Okay, cool. I have done. I have done. I have thought about that. And, you know, I'm still kind of at a place where I'm trying to figure that out. And what I do is I try not to trust my own feelings. And you know what I'm talking about?
Right. I hear you. I try to not trust my own feelings. So, yeah, dude, definitely. If that occurs to me, then that will be the direction that we go. You know what I mean? That'd be cool. Because Christ saved my life from a 28-year addiction to methamphetamine. So, I really appreciate what you do. That's awesome, dude. Thanks, bro. Thank you so much, man. That's amazing, man. That's amazing. It is. And that's what the word testimony means. You know, it's just about what happened with you. For me, it was the same thing, man.
I was addicted to alcohol and was at a place in my life where I knew that I could not continue to do it. I knew I was going to die if I kept doing it. That guy may be right. You know, maybe the thing is, is that we do allow people to tell what their story is. The truth is, is that I can tell you this story and maybe you've heard it before. Maybe you haven't.
But the bottom line is, is that I had to make a change. And I came from a history of low self-esteem, feeling terrible about my life, and from a past that really kind of set me up to believe that I wasn't worth much. And that led to addiction. But through a series of events, it got me to a place where I knew that I couldn't do it on my own anymore.
I wasn't going to be able to do it on my own. And so one night I was laying in bed and I asked Jesus Christ to come into my life and change my life. And ever since then, I've been moving closer and closer to him. And miraculous things have happened in my life. And you may hear that sometimes. Do miracles happen here on Earth? Or did miracles just happen 2,000 years ago? Yeah, I think miracles happen now.
If you listen close enough, you'll hear them. We heard one right now when that guy called in. That many years addicted to methamphetamine? Addiction's tough, man. It feels like you can't breathe if you don't have it. But that changed in my life because I allowed Christ into my life to make changes. And what I said to them right there, what I asked them was,
is I try not to make the decisions just through me anymore. Because if I'm left up to myself to make the decisions, they will be wrong. But if I leave it up to him to make the decisions, they're always right. It's so weird. I was blogging about that this morning. I was blogging about that very thing this morning.
