Authorities announced yesterday that they disrupted a plot by two skinheads to go on a killing spree, shooting and decapitating African American people, ending with Barack Obama. For the first time ever, a World Series game had to be suspended. The rain was too much in Philly last night, and the game was halted with a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning. Commissioner Bud Selig explains the suspension. Tonight's game has been suspended. It will be resumed. When I believe that weather conditions are appropriate. Meteorologist Bud Selig. How about that? I don't know anything about that Selig dude. He's an idiot. So when will they do this, Eddie? Well, they're going to try and get it in tonight. Today was going to be an off day, so they're trying to get it in tonight. But, you know, the weather in Philly doesn't look good, so we will see. Oh, wow. Rob, have you been watching any of the World Series?
Here and there. I can't watch for too long. It starts to bum you out? Yeah. Because you start thinking about what could have been? Yeah. I'll watch maybe an inning, half an inning, and then kind of flip back to it, but I can't watch it constantly. I don't know how other people feel about it, but it's hard for me to watch a baseball game if I don't have... anything invested in the team. I can watch the Red Sox play because of Rob. Exactly. I agree. I have a friend that likes the Red Sox, so I can watch it and be like, okay, the investment is if they win, my friend's happy. Okay, cool. I'll watch a little bit. I can get something out of that. But the Phillies and the Rays, I'm like, man, this is not interesting. Yeah. I could watch any NFL game. I don't care if it's Arizona versus Detroit, like any NFL game. But if you show me like a, I don't know, Milwaukee, Florida game, I can't sit for that. It's tough. But, I mean, at certain points of the game, if, you know, there's a great pitching, batting matchup or something, you know, that's fun. There's just enough stars in this that I can keep.
It'll keep my interest. And there's enough at stake. I mean, it's the World Series. But, you know, it's tough to watch. There's times I'm like, okay, why am I watching this? Is it like just the nature of the game, like baseball versus football? Absolutely. It's very slow. I mean, it takes forever to get through a game in baseball. You know, it's just different. It's just different. You know, the speed of the NFL, I mean, it's quick. And there's always stuff going on. And I'm invested because of fantasy football in every game. Yeah, I feel like you do. I can do the same thing. I can watch football, but not baseball. I don't know what it is. 570-1053. Open phones. And you can give us a call right now. 570-1053 is the number. You can text us at 35253. What is up with the skinhead with the plot to kill Obama? It's two of them. Yeah, well, it's two of them. One of them, they have a picture everywhere where he's holding the machine gun. Couple of observations. Please. First of all, he looks 10. Second of all, what's up with the makeup? Like, are you wearing makeup? I said to my wife, I go, it looks like he's a MAC cosmetic salesperson. Whoa.
So I don't know what the deal is with that. And then I said, the other thing is, I said, it's very hard to look menacing with corrective lenses. Especially that kind. Yeah. Bright red lipstick. The blue eyeshadow. The sort of tinted eyeglasses. I mean, are they the kind of glasses that if you're inside? They're kind of opaque, but when you go outside, they turn into, like, shades? Or are they tinted blue? Have they got, like, a little rose-colored tint to them? Whatever it is. I like to play the leaders. Thank you. Whatever it is, it's hard to look tough with 2060 vision. He's wearing red lipstick? It kind of looks like he's wearing makeup. What? Whatever it is, it's very confusing. Extremely confusing. It's a really confusing photograph. Goodness. Well, what can you do, huh? It's like you look at it, and there's like... I'll edit that one. Okay. All right. I'll edit that one. A little self-edit going on there. Tell me. I'll say it. That's all right. 570-1053 is our phone number, and our text number is 35253. So you can text us, too.
Lots of stuff going on. Let me introduce everybody, though. We'll go around the room and introduce because there's seven of us. And, yeah, I want Sky to tell us a story about these two characters and what their plan was. These couple of yahoos. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I am 38 years old. And I'm a stockholder now. Oh, yeah? Yeah, I bought my first stocks. George is going to be so impressed. I know. He says, you know, it's fire sell prices. And I learned a lot yesterday. I learned a lot. Like, you know, it's really strange because at 38 years of age, I'm not a student anymore. I don't go to school or anything. And so there are not very many instances in my life. Aside from like, you know, you guys know that I read the Bible and everything. So I'll find out stuff in there I didn't know. But for the most part, I don't, like, learn new things. I just go through life every single day. I do stuff, and I'm like, yeah, yeah, same old thing. Yesterday, I was like, whoa, check it out. I'm learning stuff. I did not know that. I didn't know how this is how this works, and that's how that worked, and I didn't know that. But it was really interesting, and I got to admit, it was kind of fun. It was kind of fun.
Did you do it yourself, like online? Yeah. Oh, cool. Well, I called Fidelity. Oh, okay. And they walk you through the first one. Right. So, like, set up your account. Well, I set up the account already. I was buying yesterday. Oh, okay. So, first I had to fund the account, and then you buy it. And they'll walk you through the first buy, which is a good thing, because it's not like you just... Here's what I thought. I thought you go on, you pick what you want, you buy it. Easy. It's not that easy. You don't just go on and go, yeah, I want this one. Add to cart. It's not easy. It's not easy. Honestly, that's what I thought it would be like. Add to cart. How many shares? Maybe it depends on what service you use. Because we use, I think it's Scottrade. Well, I used it once, I should say. And it was like point and click. Well, here's the deal. That one was easy for me. They have two kinds of ways that you can do it. You can either do it, what they call market buy. Yeah, of course. Or they have what's called a limit buy. And you have to select that, right, Sky? You didn't have to select a market or limit buy? Yeah, I think we just did a limit buy because we had just a certain set amount of money we wanted to put in there. And we just typed in $1,000. See, this is what I didn't know.
It's a long time ago. My stock is worth 28 cents a share today. I think that's about $7. I now have a $7 investment. It's really cool. This is what I didn't know. Don Cheadle. So let's say that I'm holding a pen in my hand and let's say I'm going to sell this pen, okay? And like every couple of seconds, the pen changes its price. Money, money, money. Okay, so it goes from like, okay, I'm going to open this up for this pen. I'm going to open it up, and I'm going to say this pen is a real fancy pen. It's on sale for $1.25. Sold. And then a couple seconds later, $1.27, $1.24, $1.30, $1.40, $1.28. That's it? Okay, if you do a limit buy. It means that you put in that you are going to buy that, you're going to set a limit, and you're not going to go above that. Now, what that means is it could take forever. It could never get back to that price. It could never be $1.25. Now, what it'll do is it'll hold it for 20 days. It'll keep trying for you for 20 days if you want it to. And if it finally hits $1.25, you're golden.
And that means that your priority is that price. So that's a limit buy. Or you can do what they call a market buy. And whatever the next one that comes up, because you know how I said it fluctuates from second to second? So it goes 125, 130. Okay, when you click on the market buy, then it goes, okay, the next one is 135. Oh, lost money. Sell. You just bought it. Oh. Oh, no. He didn't want to do that either. You shouldn't be on the site. You shouldn't be on the site. And so I had to decide which one of those do I want to do. Yeah. And so I went with the limit. I said, I want to get it at this price. And I don't want to pay more than this price. And it was immediate. It happened right away. You're smart. Cool. And then you wait a few days. And because it's a legal transaction, you wait a few days, it's, you know, technically yours, but it takes a couple of days and then they say, yep, it's yours for sure. It's really kind of interesting stuff to learn about. Awesome. So that was a big part of my day yesterday. That's really cool, man. Yeah. Eddie is our producer and our sports guy. He is a, to describe Eddie to you, he is a guy's guy.
He's into sports and he knows a lot about it. He knows an awful lot about sports. We call him the Oracle. That name was given to him by a listener because he knows a lot about sports. And he is married to a lovely gal by the name of Debra. And she is Irish, right? Yeah. She's an Irish lass. That is true. That's right. And I got to tell you about Eddie's. Eddie had some not so good news with the fantasy football yesterday. I quit. You said that last year, bro. I don't care. I mean it. But you said you meant it last year. What happened? I don't have good luck in fantasy football. I'm terrible. You're not terrible. The luck is terrible. No, you're not. I'm terrible. I don't care anymore. His luck, he has a really bad luck. He's really down an eye. He's crazy. It's weird luck. You're not terrible. He's a good fantasy football chooser, but the stuff that happens is weird. It is kind of weird. I'm garbage. Don't talk about yourself like that. I'm a friend. I went into last night's game, and I had a pretty decent lead on my opponent, and all he had going was Dallas Clark.
And I said, oh, you know, all right. You know, the way the Colts are playing, I'll be all right. You know, I should be fine. I could even handle Dallas scoring a touchdown. Dallas Clark scoring one touchdown. Scores two, I'm in trouble. But, you know, I should be fine. I mean, there's no way that's going to happen. He's a tight end. So, opening drive of the Colts, they drive right down and throw a touchdown to Dallas Clark. Oh, that is not encouraging. That just changed this entire game for me. And I'm going to be really stressed out for the rest of this game. And I was until the, I think it was the third quarter. And the second touchdown to Dallas Clark went in and I lost my game. That was really fun to watch. If I know you, if I know you, I bet you mouthed the following. Did you say the words? Okay. Pretty much. What's going on with Dancing with the Stars? Great. That was funny to watch. That's great. Yeah. It's tasty. Oh, man. Brutal, man. I just don't know. Blank my blank and blank you. Didn't go well. Yeah. I mean, that's, I believe, no, the week before last, same thing happened to me, going into Monday Night Football, had a lead.
And Jay Cutler can only do a certain amount of things, and he did, and I lost. And it's just, you know, I hate that. I'd rather know on Sunday, like, all right, either I've lost or I've won. But having it come down to that Monday Night Football game, it's brutal. I always have the worst luck when it comes down to that last game. That sucks. You don't deserve that. Thank you. I appreciate that. It's garbage! It's cool, though. That's my last year, so. Okay. Until next year, yeah. Hey, not one line is ringing. Come on, P1s, especially you hardcore P1s. Let's get these phones lit up. Let me hear from you. We won't bite you. 570-1053. Come on. I want to hear from you. What's happening today? It's Tuesday. You got questions for the show? You doing anything? You see anything on TV? What's the deal? Call us up. Sky is our news girl. She's rolling with a baseball cap today. And the braids. She's got on the braids. Yeah, I do. Now, what is the reasoning with the choice of the braids and the hat? Well, my hair is in desperate need of a haircut. It's getting long, and when it gets long like this, the ends get unhealthy and turn into dreadlocks as I sleep. So the intention was to wear the hair down today, and it was too out of control, so I put a hat on it, and then the bottom part of it was still too out of control, so then came the braids.
So it's in a taming situation. Hopefully going to call today and get a hair appointment, but it's a little long, little happy. I like it. It makes you look very agreeable. Thank you? No. Sean is our sound effects guy. He's wearing a white undershirt. Really? Today? Did you just get out of bed? It is an undershirt. He almost looks clean shaven. He almost looks completely clean-shaven from my camera view. It's almost like there is no goatee, which, you know, he usually rocks the goatee. I think there's a lot of salt. Salt, yeah. The salt doesn't show up on camera. If there was more pepper, you could see, you could definitely make it out. But he does trim very closely sometimes. Hi, little guy. Don't you push that camera away. We like the salt. Unnecessary. See, he thinks that when we say that, we're trying to make it out like he's getting old or something. And we're not. Or like, hey, I'm so different because I'm 38, but the salt and pepper, I get what you're doing. No, I love salt and pepper. Yeah, I think it's distinguishing, you know? I actually had a really traumatic experience. Yes. Thanks. I had a really traumatic experience.
Over the weekend. Put the camera down just a little bit. Fine. No, thanks. All right. How's that? Okay, Sean. Now you're being a brat. How does he do this? You know, he just won't cooperate. I don't know what you want. I just, you know. It's a simple request. Yeah, it's just, you know, center the picture is all I beg you to do. That's really it, you know? What's up, Sean? Don't give me that look. He's giving me a look. He's giving me... He's being really difficult. He really is. I am not. You're really on one. That is not the case at all. What happened this weekend? Nothing. Come on now. Stop it. I want to hear. I had a traumatic experience I was trying to share, and all you guys want to do is make fun of me. No, I wanted to see you in the camera. I couldn't see you, was all. It's a safe place. Go ahead, Sean. The salt is starting to invade the rest of my body. I've now got... Salt and pepper on the chest. And it's really upsetting. I do not have that, and I don't want that. Dude, it's awful, man. It's awful. I hope he gets a little bit of that. Yeah, I wish I had a little bit of that. Yeah, his goat is like calico now. I think it's so cute. I call him a calico kitty.
I don't know. That's terrible, man. He's got a little red. You call him? Well, just his facial hair is my calico kitty. You call your husband your calico kitty? I don't call him. I call his facial hair my calico kitty. I don't have a calico. How dare you? You know what? It is so cute. I'm so glad I have my wife. I'm telling you, Eddie, that took a second to register in my head because I thought what I'm hearing, I'm not. hearing numero uno and numero dos, she'll clarify and it'll all make sense. And then it went drastically wrong. I love it. It went very wrong. I think it's very handsome. Wow. White chest hair. It's all right, Tommy. He's that just for men. For his chest? Yes. It's not for the chest. I'm going to wash that gray right out of my chest. Ashley is our assistant producer. She is 25 years old. She's got a great smile. She's got a good personality. She was bought at an auction. Celebrity auction over the weekend. How much did you go for, Ashley? $300. That's pretty good. Where did the bidding begin? $300. Oh, wow. Wait.
This is the worst. You have to hear about that. Wait a minute, Ash. It started at $300. You went for $300. No way. She's gorgeous. She's gorgeous. She's gorgeous. It was for a date with Ashley. And this is where I really get upset. Maybe they thought she was cooking. Oh. Hey, Rob. Does he need to? Wow. She's opening up. She's down. Come up with some kind of explanation. So it said on the program that bidding starts at $50. And there was way more girls than guys. I'm going to put that out there, okay? But I got up there, and they're like, okay, and this is Ashley from The Mikey Show, and this is what her date package is, and $300. And they, like, just kicked it off at $300. Oh, my gosh. So I was, like, I just was, like, praying that just one person would bid on me because that's a lot of money. Yeah. And so one person bid on me. Oh. Who was doing the auction? Like, who was in charge? Like a real auctioneer guy? The whole thing was so legit. Yeah. It was a real auctioneer guy, you know, doing the bidding. There was a host. There was a stage. It was at a really nice restaurant, the Palm Restaurant downtown. It was, like, catered, and everybody was dressed up. Very nice. It just, there was not that many guys there. There was 15 bachelors and bachelorettes that got there. Even if it was like, I don't know, let's say it was Jennifer Aniston. Unless the room is filled with, like, really rich.
Even if it's Jennifer Aniston, you go, hey, listen, let's start this thing out at $25. And then you let it go real high real quick. But you open it up kind of low. $300. So did everybody start at $300? Everybody started at $300. Wow. And a couple people would get up to like $400 this, $500 that. One girl, well, she's a woman. One woman killed it and got up to $850. Who was that? This woman, Merit, because get this. One of the bachelors was Kevin something from the Padres. Who's been off? Yes. And he started to bid on merit when she was up there. Who's merit? Who is she? Just this beautiful woman who's, she owns her own business and she was one of the bachelorettes. Really? Beautiful, successful woman. She got up there and Kevin started to bid on her. So then this other guy started to bid him out and it got all the way up to 850. Wow. Yeah. That's kind of cool. But I mean, besides Kevin Kuzmanoff, who in that room could, you know. Were there other like rich guys and Padres out in that audience? Well, he was a bachelor. Like that's the thing. He got auctioned off later. Oh, so he was one of the celebrities there. Wow. Yeah. And he got auctioned off for like $1,400 because that's from the Padres. I can't control my horny level. It was crazy. Wow. And so who bought you?
Merritt had a couple friends come. Merritt. Merritt. Sweet Merritt. This woman's like my idol. Yeah. She's so powerful. She's so powerful. Gorgeous. And pretty. But basically she had two friends come, Christian and Anne-Marie, and they are a couple and they bought me. A couple got you? Okay, wait a second. A couple got you? So it's not even a guy, a single guy going on a date with you? No, because they want to come in the studio and hang out like they're listeners. And because... We said that we were going to attach that to the auction thing. Yeah, and they wanted to come hang out. And because, you know, because I had met them. Because there was like a mingle hour. So I had met them and been like, hey. Yeah. So that was why they went. Wow. Wow. Well, you did a good thing raising that money for charity. Yeah. We raised so much money for just for success, which is great charity. That's part of the reason that it didn't work out that great. Just went around the whole mingle hour going, hey. What's the matter with that one? Are you hungry? She's gorgeous, but she says, hey, weird. Are you lost? Omaha. Omaha.
Boston Rob is, what is he wearing today? He's got his Forever Dropkick Murphys t-shirt rocking there. He's got his Boston tattoo there on his neck. He is definitely what you call an East Coaster. Yeah. He is from Boston. Chili Rileño. That's right. Yesterday he said he loves the Chili Rileño. Those are my favorite. Fresca. Oh, yeah. Well said. He also orders his burritos without the fresca. No fresca, please. And I love my churros. There you go. Idiot! Boston Rob will be dropping a new song on us very soon. This guy's in the lab constantly, right? Working on those new songs. You know it. That's right. And then finally, there is the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Jr., Esquire, M.D., DDS president and CEO. As seen on TV. There he is. He's so cute. That's Zeth. He's our phone screener. And you can call us at 570-1053 or you can text message us at 35253. So we would love to hear from you. P1 Nick has a question. What's up, Nick? How's it going, Mikey? Hey, I was just curious. Well, actually, first of all,
Last night I was hanging out with my girl, and I was playing on her laptop, and all of a sudden I heard a song off the TV, and I was like, it sounded really familiar. I started listening to it, and last night on Gossip Girls, they had the new Chris Cornell song on there. Oh, really? Whoa. Yeah. No way. I know, and, like, I mean, apparently, like, it seems like the song's already getting big, because, like, I heard it last night, and yet yesterday morning was the first time I ever heard it. So I thought that was pretty cool, and I was curious to know if any of you guys heard about it. Howl has it been played already on TV? I haven't seen it by Sky or Eddie or anybody. Well, the CW is always right on top of breaking new music, whether it's Gossip Girl or 90210. One Tree Hill. Hello. 7th Heaven. You'll hear a song on the CW and it will be a hit a week later. Really? 21 Jump Street. That's right. That's a great one. Yeah, Fantasy Island. That's right. St. Elsewhere. Oh, yeah. St. Elmo's Fire. Yeah, new on 21 Jump Street. Joey gets jumped. Painted up with lipstick. Was there somebody named Joey on 21 Jump? I figured there would have to be a Joey. Mr. Grieco was on there, though. What was his name? Alice, strangely enough. Guido. Hey, Nick, thank you, man. Booker.
Booker? Booker. There it is. There it is. Wow. I'm sorry, Nick. Go ahead, man. Wow. Have you guys seen those new Burger King Schumann Swiss commercials with the two guys? Man, I don't see anything. I'm out of the loop, dude. Oh, no. You are not missing much. What is it? Do you love it or hate it, Nick? I personally think they're hilarious. As do I. You do? I think it's funny. Okay, I was asking myself this the other day when I was watching it because they had one of those extended ones where it was like a full minute. And I go, who can actually like enjoy this whole thing? Okay, now wait. Isn't it like a Tim and Eric skit kind of? No. Well, no, like the guys are. They're like characters. They're like... No. They're like caricatures. It reminds me. Wait, wait. Sky, we've come upon a great word for Sky. Caricatures. There it is. Was that it? Yes. No, you had it right. But I like it when you say the way you did it. Caricatures. It reminded me of like, there's something about Mary. You know how they had those two guys singing? Oh, yeah. It's like that. Oh, wait. No. Are you talking about the one where it's like a spoof of Simon and Garfunkel?
Well, they kind of look like that, yeah. And I think it's because they're singing in the style of Simon and Garfunkel, too. The style of music is very Simon and Garfunkel. I think it's supposed to be Simon and Garfunkel. I thought it was funny, but I think I got the whole Simon and Garfunkel connection. He looks just like Art Garfunkel with the big, crazy white fro. The other guy has got the straight, like, almost, you know, he's got the Paul, what's his name, you know, Simon, Paul Simon haircut. Yeah, yeah, here it is. Zeth is playing it. That's a Simon and Garfunkel spoof. And he's even wearing the beret like Paul Simon wore. I don't know much about Simon and Garfunkel. That's a really relevant reference. Yeah, yeah. Now, that makes me think they must be going for an audience that they, either they're doing, one of two things. Either they think that young people will think it's hip and retro and funny. Or they're thinking that older guys, like me, will think that it's hip, retro, and funny. And I thought it was kind of funny. Well, even young people like me who don't get the reference, I still thought it was funny. Yeah. It still made me chuckle. I like you, Rob. It's lame. Yeah, so bad. You're lame. Whoa! We got some irony up in here. Nick, the vote is split on it. Yeah. But I like it. Awesome, awesome.
Thank you very much, guys. You have a good day. Thank you, dude. P1 Sarah Longfan is on the phone, you guys. Hi, how's it going, guys? Good. What are you doing? Good. I'm just getting ready for work. I had to call and just say that I've been at P1 for like four years and that you guys were cracking me up the other morning when P1 Glenn Close called in and you guys were giving her advice. It was so funny. Yeah. Right on. Well, thank you. Are you a new listener? You've been listening for a while. I've been listening for quite some time. Like, I'd say, like, since 06, maybe 05. So, yeah, I've been listening for a while. We even watched Ashley on American Idol, like, with my kids. It was definitely pretty funny. Awesome. Right on. Right on. Hey, well, thank you for calling. I appreciate it. That's P1 Sarah Longfan. We got a show for you today. Oh, yeah. And music, dude. Sean really likes the 80s. We got, first of all, we got George Chamberlain coming in here and he's going to tell you all about money. Rob, that looked painful. Yeah, sometimes the carbonation, it's like... You guys ever seen... I'm really, now that Rob is in the studio with us and he sits right in front of me, I've become very observant about Rob, you know, and I'm like learning new things about Rob.
Well, first of all, he eats in a very unique way where when he eats, he barely opens his mouth to put the food in, which is just, let's face it, hysterical. And then right now he was taking a drink out of a can of Diet Dr. Pepper. Now, I don't know if he does this all the time, but he did right now. Not all the time. You don't. Not a bad ride overall. Just nothing surprising. You've got the usual slowdown at Vescondido right now in the South 15. Pretty jammed up from the 78 down to Via Rancho Parkway. Actually, you've got some brake lights now heading over Lake Hodges into Rancho Bernardo as well. The coastal ride's looking pretty good on South 5. West 52 up to speed. The westbound 8 good to go into Mission Valley. West on the 94 King Freeway. That's backing up now from Euclid to the 805. Not a minor delay in the downtown. And things are getting a little bit rougher out of the South Bay, especially on this 805 northbound. Break lights here up to National City. Pretty much make it to Plaza Boulevard. Off and on up to Home Avenue. Then again over the 94 in the North Park. Now briefly near Governor Drive. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Tell you about National Polytechnic College. Sometimes you wake up and you realize, man, I've been in this job for much longer than I ever planned to. I want a career. But you think to yourself, well, is it too late for me to go back to school? I mean, if I start now, it's actually not.
In fact, I've walked through the campus of National Polytechnic College. It's right here in San Diego. In fact, it's pretty close to this radio station. Okay, give me two good reasons why. One, because I say so, and two, because. Oh, strong argument, counselor. Arrest my case. Okay, actually, guys, you're both wrong. Say what? Impossible. Dumb Chick Challenge. Okay, this is really special, and I'm going to say give me a three. Oh, terrible strategy. She's good at these threes, Mike. Sean suggests a three-pointer. Sean, she thought the body made Vaseline. I didn't understand the question. The wording was strange. It was weirdly written. It really wasn't. Here we go, Ash. Your three-point question is... What celestial body can nothing escape from, not even light? It wasn't listening. Oh, wow. 053. Mikey Show. It is 647. Chicago police announced yesterday that it was the body of Jennifer Hudson's 7-year-old nephew that was found in an abandoned SUV. Monday Night Football last night saw Tennessee remain undefeated, coming back to beat Indianapolis 31-21. Kerry Collins talks about them being undefeated. Yeah, obviously a division opponent. It's always a big win. And, you know, the Colts came in here and played hard. They played a great game. And, you know, we just made the plays we needed to make. But it's always a good game when we get together. And we were just fortunate enough to come on top tonight. Sounds like his jaw is very heavy. It's an observation. Makes sense. Well, listen to it again and just imagine that his bottom jaw weighs about two pounds.
Yeah, well, obviously, a division opponent, it's always a big win. And, you know, the Colts came in here and played hard. They played a great game. And, you know, we just made the plays we needed to make. But it's always a good game when we get together. And we were just fortunate enough to come out on top tonight. Good workout, Kerry. Way to hustle. Welcome back. It's a Mikey show. And, yeah, yeah, yeah. Did I say we were going to talk about anything specific before we went to break? Nope. I didn't. Good, because we got so many directions that we can go in. Well, first of all, we might as well get this out of the way. I was just tickled when I read this, and Eddie, this is going to challenge you to your limits with your friend Sky. Sky's yesterday email, ladies and gentlemen. As you know, Sky has gone green. What that means... What that means is that she tries to conserve whenever she can. I do my best. I do what I can, Mike. The little things. Hey, listen, Skye, I got to commend you. I was at your house. Were you checking out my light bulbs? I was checking your light bulbs out. Well, I wasn't doing it purposefully, but I actually noticed that in your bathroom, the lights were really bright. I was like, what's that about? And then I noticed those, you know, curly fries that you have plugged in.
She has curly fries plugged into her light bulb thing. Sounds delicious. Looks like soft serve. Yeah. So I said, okay. So I guess she's really going green. Well, one of the other things that she does is she lets yellow mellow. That's so gross. Water is an issue for especially Southern California. Did you notice that when you're out of our house too? Conservation. The water park in the backyard. Water conservation. Well, with the water conservation, you let yellow mellow, meaning that you only flush with the solids. I used to get that. Yelled at so bad when I was a little kid for doing that. Not here in California. You get a brownie button. Or a yellow button. Yes, you get a little yellow button. A gold star. A gold star. Still not much better. That's filthy. Well, Skye decided that she was going to take that next step yesterday, and she decided to let Yellow Mellow in public. What? In a public restroom. That's right. Sky has a look right now of a little bit of embarrassment. But yet, at the same time, it's like this. It's like, I'm embarrassed, but you know what? I'm also standing up for my beliefs, my convictions. And I will not waste water. I will not waste water. And Eddie has a look of confusion.
He has a look of... Look at his face. It's almost like he's dizzy. It's almost like he's dizzy and he's about to lose consciousness. I'll catch you. Listen, if she chooses to do in her own home, it's not really fine by me, but what can I do? But in public, that becomes a health risk. Sanitary. By not... doing flushing and things like that. If people who have disease and things like that don't flush. Well, I don't. Okay, but Skye, you can't do that. But Eddie, let me ask you. Let me ask you though, Eddie. In my defense, please. In her defense. It wasn't that much. Isn't this honestly Conserving water. It does conserve water. We cannot deny this. It does. And I'd like to say, for the record, I normally flush in public. Yes. You know, anyway. Self-edit? Yeah. Well said.
But this instance, I thought I really had to go tinkle. Yeah. And I went to the ladies room and turned out just a tiny bit. Yeah. And just needed, you know, like two little squares of TP. Yeah. And so I were to assume if somebody walked into said restroom. Eddie and Rob are shaking their heads. They wouldn't even really know somebody had used it. So what's the point? Question, Eddie. It's fine. Question, Eddie. Save the flush. What if? What if? What if she were to take a little, like, note thing, sticky note? A post-it. A post-it. I can never remember what they're called. And she just left a friendly note that said, hey, you know, conserving, conserving.
Probably couldn't even tell. Aren't you wasting paper then? No one could even tell, I'm sure. I'm sure the next person who went in there didn't even realize. And we all worked together and we saved a flush. That's right. So thank you, pick up sticks of Escondido. And it's in a restaurant. Those cream cheese wontons are delish. They are delish. Those cream cheese wontons, so good. It is not funny. So good. It's hysterical. So good. Hey. We need to put an end to this. Okay, I am going to die. I can be an attorney here. I can be an attorney. I can be an attorney. Can you even see Sean? Sean is like in the fetal 12. Sean is curled up in a ball right now because he's a germaphobe. He is beside himself. He's the king of his life. I know this. I'm not listening to this. Oh, yeah. I know in his head right now that he is trying to rationalize a friendship with Sky because he... Walker rationing is not an issue dear to Sean's heart. Yeah.
He likes hot, long showers, and he likes to wash sponges in the, you know, washing machine. Yes, he does. Now, Eddie, I'm going to do my best. I don't know if I can, but I'm going to try to be her attorney on this one. She is saving water. What is the problem? Tell me what the problem is. I have several problems with this. Where do you begin? Number one, you're now trying to conserve water for... businesses and other companies? You can't distinguish the difference between a residence. You don't know what they do. They may have other things that conserve water so that you actually can flush toilets in public places. You don't know that. Aren't we making the argument that extra conservation is in fact not necessary? Which is never true. Any conservation is good. Yes. When it becomes a health risk, which that is. Yes. How is this a health risk? Bodily fluids? Please miss. So people like dive into it. Please, you're my client. Do people bathe in their life? And she let her attorney. Well, you're doing a horrible job. I am not doing a horrible job.
I quit. Fine. I quit. I quit. You got one question. She calls it a health hazard and you just agree? I'm sorry, miss. People go in there and bathe? I didn't urinate. I'm asking him. Disgusting people like you who don't use seat covers sit down on that toilet and don't realize that there's... urine or any kind of disgusting things. Toilet? She cleans it first. Why am I still arguing with you? I'm not your attorney anymore. People that go walk into public restrooms and see... urine or whatever in the toilet are going to flush it anyway. That's my whole thing. Well, but that was my point. That was my point. I wrote that in. There's toilet paper in there, Scott. You think people didn't see that? There's two little squares. I'd flush that so quick. Oh, absolutely. Yeah, I would. I would walk in. I would see that and go, oh, tickle time. But you are foul. I am not foul. You are foul. I am very clean.
You are disgusting. You don't need to call me names. Obviously, this is a strong debate. I am a nice girl. 570-1053. Or you can text us at 35253. I couldn't help myself. I couldn't help myself. I felt guilty if I were to flush. What do you think you've accomplished by doing that? Saved a lot of water. No, you didn't. At least she's not denying Brown from going down. At least she's not doing that. She's letting yellow mellow. She's not denying Brown from going down. Brown's got to go down. You've been fired. You can come over to our side now. Ashley kind of got me on that one. Because I think if I saw one, I would flush it. Of course you would. That's the only part where I said you would. I didn't see it. I should have taken a picture. You didn't see it. Next time, take a picture. So she's now photographing her business. Why can't we? Okay, if you're uncomfortable with that, fine, we'll get a police sketch artist. She can describe it. This is something else. I don't forgive you. I didn't know.

Got hired as the head coach at Notre Dame because he was the hottest thing in college coaching. Got fired from Notre Dame and then went to coach at Washington and has yet to win a game this season. No way. Yeah. Oh, wow. Crazy. 570-1053 is our phone number. And our text number is 35253. So you can give us a call. Skye decided to let Yellow Mellow in a public place. And her deal here was, listen, I'm conserving water. She's trying to conserve water. I've just been doing it so much at home. It was hard for me to fathom flushing that when there was pretty much nothing there. Heather has a question. Heather? Yeah.
Go ahead. Well, first of all, I just want to say I'm completely grossed out by that. Thank you. To each their own. To each their own. I'm just wondering, at home, do you have, like, a specific method, like, after a certain number of days it's been mellowing, you flush? Oh, gosh. Or after a certain number of times? Yeah. Yeah, you flush on the second time. The second one. Yeah, there's a two yellow max. So in other words, if you see... So I'm saving 50% of my flushes. Yes, that's a lot of water. So if you see it, you flush it. In other words, if you go in there and it's already yellow, you know that this is the second time, you flush. After you're finished. After you're finished. And if you go in there and it's clear, that means that you're the first yellow to let mellow. Thank you. Is that correct? Yep. We got it. Well, there you go. Eddie is not a fan. He's shaking his head. Just wait until the state sends a pamphlet to your house saying that we all need to start doing this. I don't care. You still won't, even if they ask you to. Never. In a million years, I would never do that. Okay. That's your hang-up, bro. Oh, dude. Stop it, okay? This ain't a Grateful Dead show, all right? This ain't Lollapalese guys, okay? Well, they wouldn't even use the restroom if it was. That's right.
Please. Guess who's in the studio, ladies and gentlemen. George Chamberlain. I'm conserving water, George. Listen, I'm with you. Yeah, yeah. I figured you would because you're an economics guy. You know, you would want to, you know, conserve, save money, that kind of deal. So you let it mellow. Do what I can do. Sky lets yellow mellow. No. And Brown must go down. I can't argue that one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can't argue that one. That's just the way it works. You know George Chamberlain is the money guy on Channel 739, Monday through Friday. You can see him on TV. Congratulations, man. That's very cool. Thank you. I bought stock yesterday in three different companies. Okay. And I thought it was really cool. And I was saying, I really actually surprised.
And what I was surprised about was that I enjoyed it. It was kind of fun learning about how it works and participating in the system. But, you know, you did what you had to do. And I always compare it. I may have done it on the show in the past, but I always compare it to how you learn to ride a bike. You know, you can go out and buy magazines about how to ride a bike. You can watch videos, computer generated graphics about how the air moves over the tires and all this stuff. But you never learn. how to ride a bike until you put your cheeks in the seat, you start pedaling, okay? And that's what you do as an investor. You've got to just jump in there and do it. And once you've done that, you get kind of that little high, like you're saying about, I did it. You don't want to get all involved with it. You don't want to get crazy about it. But you just let it go. Don't look at it all the time, and it'll do just fine. Yeah, it was pretty cool. Great. And so now I just have to wait. Yeah. I just got to wait. Yeah. What do you think, George? Is the Dow Jones Industrial Average going to continue to fall for a while, or is it going to start going up? And also, I have a two-part question for you. Let me ask that one first, then I'll get to my next one. And I hate to do this, but I have to honestly say I don't know. Could it go a little bit lower? Of course it certainly could. Will it go back up? It definitely will go back up. And when it goes back up,
It will go with a vengeance. And one of the things you've done that I think people can learn a lesson from is that you don't want to be the last guy in when the market goes up. You want to be there when it goes up. You've got to be in the game. Wayne Gretzky says you never score a goal if you don't take a shot. You've got to be in the game. And so you've done what most people need to do. You don't have to jump in with everything you've got, but you've got to have some money in the game right now. So that's what you've done. diversify and have have a couple of them not just put all my eggs in one basket i want to do that yeah talk to the folks at enron all right so here's my question for you all right what is recession what is it actually okay and are we in one and if we're not how close to one are we a recession is officially as measured two consecutive quarters of negative growth okay and we will find out if we are in Later this week, we get a report out that will tell us if we have probably entered into a recession. A recession is just like anything else. It's a very personal thing. Your neighbor could be in a recession. You might not be in a recession. It's a very, very personal thing. But when you measure it with a broader scope, using government stuff, it's a slowdown in the growth of the economy.
If you don't think we're there now, you're kidding yourself. Because, I mean, my brother-in-law, who is probably the wealthiest guy I know personally, he's got more money than God, okay? I was visiting with him this weekend, and he said, you know, I need a new golf cart. But I decided, you know, I don't want to spend the $7,000, $8,000 to go out and buy a new golf cart, so I'll spend $150 to get the brakes fixed on the one I got right now. That's a recession. OK, he can afford it, but he's not doing it. And so what's that mean? It means the guys that sell the golf cart are not going to sell a golf cart. So they're not going to get the commission for selling it. The people that make the golf cart have one less golf cart that they need to make. So that means there won't be as many people assembling, putting together these golf carts. The people that make the parts that they sell to the company that manufactures the golf cart aren't going to be selling as many parts. That's how you get into a recession. You talk yourself into the damn thing. That's what we're doing right now. So it's, well, that's interesting because the context that I always thought of a recession in was that it was a national thing that was very real for every single person. And what I'm actually hearing is no matter what they say, if they say the country's experiencing a recession, it has to do with you and whether you are. Just like when they say the country's economy is booming.
There's people out there saying, what are you talking about? You know, I'm out of work. I can't find a job. And you're telling me the country's booming? You know, just like people say we're intercession. Well, I don't know. Things are going pretty good for me. I can't complain too much. People here, so it becomes a very, very personal thing. But again, you know, they've got to have something to talk about, so they do the whole thing about, you know, is it a recession? Are we going into a depression? And all that stuff. You'll hear the D word used a lot later this week, too, with an economic report that's coming out. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Got them right. Didn't know who they were. Most people didn't. I thought they sang on, like, Celebrity Cruise Lines or something. That's what I would have taken a guess at before this whole thing happened. But somebody is on the line, and they want to ask a question about Fannie and Freddie. Okay. Are you there, P1D man? Yeah, how are you guys doing this morning? Good, man. Go ahead. The question I had for you, George, is Freddie and Fannie Mae, what are your thoughts long-term and short-term? Because apparently it looks like the stock is getting hammered, but supposedly this is part of the government backup plan, so I wasn't quite sure what direction to go. And if I understand correctly, your question is, is it a good idea to buy stock in Fannie and Freddie? That's correct. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are two government agencies. Fannie Mae stands for Federal National Mortgage Association, FNMA.
They say it, Fannie Mae. Freddie Mac is another one. About 85% to 90% of all mortgages in this country are touched by Freddie or Fannie. So they're big mortgage players. And they're quasi-government agencies. Well, they're no longer quasi-government agencies. They're now basically owned by the government. But the stocks still exist out there, and they're trading for cents right now. Not dollars, but cents. can't afford to take a trip out to viejas or barona go ahead and buy some fannie mae or freddie because it's basically the same thing you're rolling the dice you're just rolling the dice why george because there's very little intrinsic value there there's very little that will ever get back to the investor on this stuff uh and it's you know i may be proved totally wrong on that but that's why they're trading for cents if there was any value there people would be buying the stock right and they're just not they're just basically throwing the stuff away so you would personally
never buy stock in Fannie or Freddie because of the uncertainty? No, no, I would not. There was a time that actually Fannie Mae was a stock I owned quite a bit of a long, long, long time ago. But that's when things were better and the economy was different and the housing market was different. Right now, again, what's left as a publicly traded company ain't much. And it probably is, you know, it's very unlikely that it's ever going to amount to much. P1 Steve has a question that I think... Tons of people listening right now could have the same exact question. P1 Steve, are you there? Yes, I'm here. You're on with George Chamberlain. Ask him a question about your money. Good morning, sir. I'm actually upside down on a home right now. And I'm hearing a lot of people saying that it's better to foreclose on your home now and wait for the federal relief to come and bail everyone out. And if you don't let your home foreclose now. then basically you aren't going to be able to get a piece of that. I get asked that question a lot. I really do. I think you're making a big mistake, Steve, if you just sort of listen to what other people are saying about this. Instead of going right to the source, there's an event going on this Saturday in El Cajon. And it's at the Ronald Reagan Center in El Cajon. It's the community center out there. And it's from 10 o'clock till 2 o'clock.
put on by something called the San Diego Housing Collaborative. It's all volunteer, nonprofit organizations. They have attorneys that will be there, mortgage counselors that will be there, absolutely free, completely confidential. Nothing is being sold at this event. And what they're going to do is sit down with people like Steve and say, you know, bring your mortgage papers with you, bring everything you got with you. They'll sit down with you, private, confidential counseling, and go over everything and tell you what your best course of action is going to be. So if you can get out there, you might even want to, if you use your computer, put into your computer Housing Collaborative, San Diego Housing Collaborative, and you can get information about the event. It's even a wise idea to make a reservation to meet with an attorney or one of their counselors in advance so you don't get stuck out there all day. That's great. Yeah, because I bet a lot of people are wondering, what do I do with this thing, man? Do I stay with it or do I get out of this deal? Somebody I know. very well personally was in this situation and was ready to just foreclose on the property just basically walk away from it um got some good advice she got some very good advice and they're actually going to go through a short sale on the home which is better than a foreclosure as far as protecting your credit and stuff like that is concerned so there there are options out there sky yeah what is the deal with the lady in mira mesa that is refusing to leave her foreclosure
Oh, yeah. Have you heard about this one, George? Yeah. So this chick in Mira Mesa, you know, her and her hubby have lived in this house for 19 years, lost her job a little while ago. So they decided let's refinance our mortgage, got their mortgage payment down to about $4,000 a month. And then the loan just adjusted on them. And now it's about $6,000 a month. They can't afford it, gone into foreclosure. She doesn't want to leave. That's her home. So she has changed. herself to a post on her front porch does that mean that she chose uh an adjustable rather than a fixed mortgage yeah well the right yeah well it adjusted after two years her rate was fixed for two years and then after two years it adjusted right yeah uh can you make it so that it it's fixed all the time or that's like a 30-year fixed Like people talk. So you can only do that for 30 years. Well, there's a bunch of different. There's a one year, a two year, a five year, a seven year, a 15 year. Right. I mean, there's a lot of options, but a lot of these people who didn't have the money were getting the one years or the two years. And then, you know, a calendar year goes by and they adjust and their payments like double, triple. Well, here's the deal. I remember that when I was getting and this was years ago when I first bought a home in Texas.
And it was being explained to me the difference between the two. And I knew that one was going to incur risk, albeit slight. And I was afraid of the risk. And so I wanted a fix to know, you know, for however long I could get it. And whenever I go into these things, I always I'm always looking for that word fixed because I don't want any surprises. Yeah. See, we had 30 year fix on our first three houses. But after going into the fourth house and I realized my husband likes to move every couple of years, he likes to fix places up and then he wants to move. So it makes no sense for me to get a 30 year fix because I'm not going to be in a house for 30 years. Gotcha. I'm going to be in a house for a couple of years and move on. You know, my two cents on this thing. There are good. There are good adjustable rate loans and there are bad adjustable rate loans. I've never had a fixed rate loan. I always use adjustable rate loans. Okay. But everybody's different and everybody has a different tolerance for risk on this thing. I think, and your point, Scott, is right on target. Very few people, when they buy a house, the average person moves every five to seven years. Some people more often than that. Okay. I think there should be, if somebody were to come to me and say, Chamberlain, give me one idea to fix the mortgage market right now. I would say, create.
A 100-year mortgage. Okay? Because nobody's going to live in their house for 30 years. They're not going to live in it for 100 years. They would bring the payments down to practically nothing because you're now amortizing this loan over 100 years. What does that mean, by the way, amortizing? You're spreading the cost of it over 100 years instead of over 30 years. And you would be able to bring the monthly mortgage payment down probably from $4,000 to $1,000. But, of course, nobody's asked me. I'd love it. Great idea, George. Well, this woman has chained herself to her home in Mira Mesa. I wonder if she's talked to anybody. I wonder if she's actually talked to anybody but the bank, if she's talked to a mortgage counselor. It's interesting because I saw on the news when they pulled up to her house, her car actually has one of those, like, foreclosure advertisements on the side. So I don't know if she used to work for, like, a company that helped with foreclosures. I don't know why her car has that on the side of it, but it does. Cut 37. I will stay chained until the police officers come and tell me that I have to go. No one can care and love this home more than we and I am not leaving. Now we're squatters of our own home and that hurts a lot. And I'm hoping that, you know, our elected officials will step up to the plate. This is what I don't understand and maybe somebody can explain it to me.
The thing that I don't understand about it is I think to myself, well, aren't these choices that you made? Yeah. And you know what? She is, I hate, God, I hate to sound like a bad guy on this thing, but she is a squatter on a house that's owned by the bank. Yeah. I mean, from the very beginning, we don't own it. It's the banks. But it's kind of crappy because I've seen in the news a couple times, George, that if you do something drastic enough, the bank will pay off your mortgage. Like if you attempt suicide and you're not successful, the bank will come in and clear all your debt. Oh, that's very tragic. That's very sad that you had to go so far. But what about the, you know, hundreds of thousands of other people that are doing it the right way that are trying to do it the right way? And you're not going to clear their mortgage. You know, you got to be a cuckoo to get your mortgage cleared. And that's not cool. Well, it's a really interesting story.
especially in these economic times and especially with what's going on with mortgages and all that stuff. It's just, I don't know, when I first heard about it, and I'm new to all this stuff and kind of understanding what I consider to be grown-up stuff, but when I first heard about it, I thought to myself, well, man, I mean, nobody forced you into a situation to have this sort of... That or whatever. But that's predatory lending. That's them telling, you know, when you go to apply for a loan that you can't get, you know, they're telling you, oh, it'll be okay. And you go, well, they're kind of the expert. I don't know what I'm talking about. They should know this is their business. So I'm going to trust them. And they screwed them over. But how many people buy a car based upon the monthly payment of the car? Okay. Now people were doing that with houses. They were buying the house and saying, okay, I can afford the monthly payment on this. Was it the right decision to make? Were there risks that the cost of that monthly payment was going to go up? They were willing to accept that. There's a lot of shared responsibility on this thing. 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. Do you have a question for our money guy, George Chamberlain? Very bright. Idiot. Anyway, 5701053 is a phone number. Our text number is 35253. And George Chamberlain is our money guy. And he is in the studio right now. You can see him on television every morning. He does reports on NBC 739 at the top of the hour. And we get him for a little bit every week. And I'm really stoked because I learn a lot of stuff. P1 Chris, are you there? I'm here. Okay, Chris, what's your question for George Chamberlain? I work for a major bank here in San Diego, and I underwrite car loans, not home loans. And I see people's credit all day long, people here that live in San Diego County. And I'm noticing that out of maybe 10 homeowners, five to six of them are currently in foreclosure because we do subprime auto loans. More than half of the people that you see their credit. Or in foreclosure? Well, you've got to know, I do subprime auto loans, so these people have a problem coming in. Okay, well, I'm surprised that it's not higher than that, then. Yeah. Well, you've got to admire the huevos on some people, don't you? Yeah. You really do. Right? So my question is, I'm seeing these people with, like, 10, 15-year jobs, good income, and my question is, do you see a lot of people maybe just jumping on the bandwagon, even if they're...
You know, their mortgage isn't in any kind of problems and just saying, hey, you know, everyone else is doing it. Maybe I should, too, and I can get out of this home and maybe get into something else. Yeah, that's becoming a common trend, unfortunately, these days. There is some of that going on. Fortunately, it's a small percentage of homeowners, but they're the people that you work with because of the nature of the lending that you're doing. But, you know, it's certainly not a majority of homeowners. The numbers are not nearly as bleak as they would lead us to believe. But there's some of that going on, sure. So are those people who put like 0% down and so they just figure, hey, I can walk away anytime because I'm not actually losing any money. Right. I've basically been paying rent this whole time. That's a lot of them. You bet it is. Oh, wow. And, you know, fortunately, we're... We're bleeding those people out of the system right now. We've been doing it for about three years. We've been bleeding those people out of the system. There aren't that many of them still left out there. But they're still out there, and there's still going to be some people that do that. I think the vast majority of people who buy a home to live in the home really want to live in the home. I think some of them are being squeezed out for a number of different reasons. But it's having a lot of impacts in a lot of different ways in our society, no doubt. The funny thing that I see, too, is I see these people.
putting like $10,000, $15,000 down on Escalades. So do you see a trend there? Maybe not paying their mortgage. Maybe they shouldn't be buying a car. You think? You think? Just maybe. They've got $10,000 to $15,000. Right. And, you know, they may have probably gotten that off a credit card or something. Who knows where they got it. You know, there's a lot of people that are trying to job the system right now by going out and amassing as much stuff as they can and then say, catch me if you can. And it's really vile. But we've seen that before where people will go out and just, they know they're going to file for bankruptcy. They know they're going to have to file for bankruptcy. So they go out and they run up the credit cards to the max. They go out and they buy as much stuff, as much bling as they possibly can. And then when they file for bankruptcy, all the credit card bills are forgiven. Yep. Jeez. Screwing, man. It's ugly. No, it's not good at all. That's crazy. Exactly right. Chris, I appreciate the phone call, man. Can we cheer this up a bit here? Well, yeah, this is actually a good one. You've actually given this information out before, but it's good information, and I think people should have it. P1 Tadman, go ahead and ask your question. I was just wondering. I've got about four or five years left before kids start college. I got their money in CDs. Is there anything better that I could invest in?
I wish you would have told me you've got like 10 years until the kids are ready to start school. This is money for college, right? Yeah. Oh, man, I hate to take any kind of risk in here. Here's what you've got to do. It doesn't have to be absolute, all right? So what I would do is take like 20%, 25%, take a quarter of it, and go ahead and just flop it over into an S&P 500 index fund. Go to Vanguard, Fidelity, or something like that. And buy some of it. You don't have to be 100% in CDs or 100% in stocks. Go ahead and allocate some of it. You see things starting to improve, and we really see some indication that we have turned a corner, not just a quick little reaction bounce in here. Then maybe submit a little bit more of it into that. But go ahead and get some of the money to work in the market. Good Lord, we are so low. We seem to be at a point here, and there's growing evidence that we're probably ready to make a pretty good turn in here, both in the stock market and the housing market. So, you know, put a little bit to work for your kids. I think you could. Cool, man. Hey, thank you for the call. I appreciate it, Ted, man. Again, thank you very much, George. Sure, you guys. Dude, she's got that resume ready at all times. She's ready to go. I mean, you know what I mean? You gotta think about it. I mean, for goodness sake. George, can you read the news? Shut up! And you wonder why I'm paranoid. You're fired. That's fantastic. Thank you, George. We appreciate it. Hey, don't go away. Number one song on iTunes is this song by Beyonce called If I Were a Boy. Oh, Sasha Fierce. Oh, Sasha. What is Sasha Fierce? It's Beyonce's new name. Yeah, she changed her name. Are you guys joking? No. What? Huh? Huh? Beyonce changed her name to what she feels is more appropriate for her personality. Yeah. Her name is now Sasha Fierce. Is that like her real name? It's always been her alter ego on stage, but now she's really going to embrace it. It's going to be the, that's the name of her upcoming album. She's releasing it as Sasha Pierce. Enjoy. I'm in shock right now. Are you kidding? That I didn't know this? No, I didn't know this. You didn't know it either. I'm in shock.
Look at Sky and Eddie just... They just air-fived. That's the most ridiculous thing that I've ever heard. Sasha Fierce. That's so stupid, right? Just reinventing yourself, you know? All the greats do it. You know what? Get a new pair of shoes, lady. Sasha Fierce. Welcome back. Welcome back. So, okay. Before we went to break, I said that... For Halloween, you're not going to see those little gold pirate candies? Well, hopefully not. Has there been a recall, Sky? Yeah. What is the deal?
Basically, Sherwood brand Pirates Gold Milk Chocolate Coins. We all know what these little... The blooms. Yes, the blooms. Are a mighty good candy. Yes. The blooms? Yeah, they have the little foil that's painted gold. Looks like a little coin. You peel it off real sweet. It's not money. It's candy. Oh, my gosh. You knew there was chocolate in there. This whole time, I was spending it. I tried to deposit it. Seth is bringing it to the bank. Throwing it on the counter. at Wells Fargo. How many ribs can I get with this? That's great. We got a big sack that has just a dollar sign on it. So they have been recalled because of melamine, which it goes back to this China thing. I went to school with her. Yeah, I went to prom with melamine. She was cute. It goes back to this China thing we talked about a couple months ago where food was being tainted in China, babies, formula, milk, kids were getting sick, and it's all because of this melamine. And so they say the Sherwood brand Pirates Gold Milk Chocolate Coins are sold at Costco and many like bulk or dollar type of stores, you know, where you get things.
Sold in bulk. So, of course, they say don't buy them if you bought them. You know, check out the website. See how you can get your money back. But also make sure when your kids come home with their candy to go through the candy and pull those out. Okay. I want to know what melamine is. Is it a preservative? Is it a mineral? I think it's a chemical used to make, like, plastic or something. And you can't eat it? You're not supposed to? Dude, see, like, have you guys ever heard there's like normal products and people would be like, yeah, you know, there's arsenic in that. And you're like, it's like trace amounts. You're like, yeah, trace amounts is fine. They use some stuff, real weird stuff to make normal stuff. And I'm like, why do they do that? Why is it necessary? It's all in proportion. Tastes better. Yeah. It tastes better. A little dash of arsenic. A little lie. Just a little, though. Just a tad. Don't go crazy. Just a tad. It's so weird how we do that.
It's all portion control, Mike. Yeah, I don't understand a lot of these words, but it's saying it has 66% nitrogen, and if you mix it with resin, it can become a fire retardant. So they don't want them to catch on fire, the candies. Well, the insides of your body. Right, they don't want that to catch on fire, so they put a fire retardant. Why would they do that? I grew up eating those things. They're fine. Well, no, Rob. This is a new thing. They're not fine. They're obviously fine. Yeah, yeah. Thanks, Sean. He kind of grew up okay. Yeah. See, they didn't always have this in it. It's because of this tainted China milk or whatever. Oh, China. China. China. China milk. Mm-hmm. Tainted love. And the panda. Tainted milk. That's where they got really, really artistic here. Yeah, really creative. Yeah. Taking risks, Mike. That's right. Rolling dice. Musically taking some risks. You know it. Thank you. Yes. Well done. Well said. Well done. Poorly done. Good hustle. Yeah. Good hustle. Poorly said. Rightly said. No. Right said, Fred. Yeah. Totally. Listen to this email. And then call us at 570-1053 or text us at 35253. Weigh in on this. Mikey, I got a weird problem.
I'm not sure how you guys feel about this, but I wanted to see what you thought. I've been with my girlfriend for about seven months. She has a cat from a previous relationship. Her and her ex got a cat together, and she kept it when they broke up. Every time I see this cat, it makes me think of her ex-boyfriend. I really don't like it. I would never ask her to get rid of the cat, but I wanted to know if it's normal to feel like this. Sometimes I feel stupid feeling like that. But I can't help it. It just bugs me. What do you guys think? That's P1. Big time. Big time. Well, I have very personal experience with this. Is that so? That is so. In fact, my wife's cat, Jules, came from a previous relationship. Her boyfriend before me, before I came along. So Jules is really your step cat.
That is right, Sky. That's gross. That's gross. Before Rebecca and I began dating, Rebecca was dating this other guy, and they went down to the pound, and they picked out a cat together. They picked out two cats. The other one's dead. Ginger. Deceased. The other one's passed away. A better place. Daily Departed. Yeah, the Daily Departed. Does it always have to go back to The Departed? Yeah, I think so. Greatest movie in the history of movies, Sky. Look it up. Is it online somewhere? If she looks it up, what you're saying is that she'll eventually find it. Look it up in a book. Got it. Let's go to the library and you'll find it. Card catalog. So yeah, she and her boyfriend... Muhammadar, I think his name was. Muhammadar. I'm sure it was. They went down to the pound and they picked out two little kittens, Jules and Ginger. As a matter of fact, the one that's still alive, Jules, he named him. Oh, whoa. Really? You know what he named him? You know what he named him? He named him Julius Caesar. And they called him Jules. They called him they.
They. Well, I think everyone calls him. T-H-E-Y. They. Let's rename them. Not, not, not, not, not we. Not W-E. Not her and I. Hey. Calm down. They named him Julius Caesar, so he's Jules. Now, I, same thing as this guy. I didn't like it. I didn't like it. Can't do it. I said I can't do it, you know? Can't do it. That's some other person's cat and name. And I don't like it. I want winners. We didn't. Still have jewels. Did you want to? Yes. Yes, I'm being honest on the radio. Yes, I did. Yes, I did, Eddie. Was there a discussion about it or you just knew? Never a discussion about it. I knew to keep these feelings to myself until October 28th of 2008. Uh-oh. When this email that we got here from P1 Big Time. Big time.
was to be read on the radio. And at such a time and such an instance, I can reveal my true feelings that I thought that Jules was a tainted cat. Tainted cat. Tainted cat. And didn't like it. How would you feel about it, Eddie? I would hate it. I would hate it. I would kind of feel like that guy. I would really want to get rid of it, but... I don't know that I could bring myself to be like, oh, you've got to get rid of your cat that you love. I would probably just keep windows open and doors open. Oh, stop it. And hope for the best. You're the worst. We have to strike NASA! Annihilate! Kill! Kill! Wow, that was a strange, strange sound effect for Sean to play. Really weird. Strange one that he played. Maybe that's the way it made sense. Good space. 570-1053 is our number. And you can call us and weigh in about this. Or you can text us at 35253. Sky? Yeah. What are your feelings? What if you started dating your hub and he, from a girlfriend before you, had a cat with her and the girl named him and, you know, here's a cat from another relationship. Are you good with it or do you have a problem?
I'm not going to lie. Like, yeah, I think it would kind of, it wouldn't be my preferred situation. But I'd get over it real quick. You would never love that cat. Never. You would never, ever love that cat. Never. It would always represent the other woman. Be honest. No, it wouldn't. You would never love that cat. Why are you talking like that? I don't know. Never. Well said. I would love that cat. You wouldn't? I love all cats. No, you don't. That cat. Not a tainted cat. You don't like tainted cats. You don't like tainted cats. You don't like tainted cats. It would make me feel weird. I wouldn't want to think of them picking out a cat. You would kiss the head of the cat that the other woman kissed? Oh, really? Nice. I would. Lies, lies, lies, yeah. You're telling me. Yeah. I mean, are we just trying to put songs into this? You're telling me that that cat, every time you were petting that cat, you wouldn't think to yourself, oh, this is the cat that my husband and another girl loved. They made with their love. Yeah. Wait. It would spin you. But my husband's a human. That would spin you out. It would spin you round, round, baby, round, round. Like a record baby. Round, round, round, round. Mike.
She is telling lies, telling sweet little lies. That's right, Eddie. Whoa, tell me lies. Well said. In the beginning, I admit, yeah, it would kind of not be my favorite thing, but I'd get over it. Really? Yes. And in no way would I ever consider asking somebody to get rid of their pet. That's ridiculous. Yeah, P1 Cammie says, why don't you give him a break, you know, give this girl a break. It's not her fault, right, Cammie? Right? Hello? Cammie, it's not her fault, right? No, it's not the cat's fault. Yeah, it's not the cat's fault, so the guy should just love the cat, right? Yeah, probably. You know, that cat represents everything you don't want to think about, right? No, the cat will grow on you. No, it's tainted. Hey, listen, you know, Cammie makes a point. It's only taken 10 years for Jules to grow on me, but after one decade... But after one decade, I'm proud to say that I tolerate that cat. And it's only taken 10 short years. They flew right by. Let's see. Text we're getting. P1 big time needs to get over it. That's P1 yes on Prop 8. The next text says, get rid of the cat. That's P1.
Get rid of the cat. Wow. Weird that they would have that opinion. And then P1 Cheese says, I have an idea. Why not give the cat some pirate gold coins? Yes. That is a bad idea. I love that idea. I heard that that cat's menazio... Melitainin. Melitainin. Melitainin. Melitainin. Yeah, that is Melitainin. Levels are low. Melanine. Melanine. Melanine. Melanine. P1 Amanda? Hey, my husband has a cat from a previous relationship, and I totally love that cat. It's like my own. Oh, you are such a humanitarian. You're such a sweet, kind, loving. You are the best. Don't put her down just because you guys aren't as strong as she is. No understanding. Respect you so much. Like Jane Goodall running through the forest with apes. You know, I love animals. Oh, look at it. P1 Amanda in the mist. Don't hang on her because her heart is filled with love. Please. Fine. Whatevs. Thank you, Amanda, for making us feel guilty. Well, we hung out with his ex one time. Don't ask me why. And she was like, how's my cat doing? And I was like, no, it's my cat now. You guys are over, you know? You hung out with the ex? There's your girl, Skye. Why were you hanging out? Is he still friends with her?
No, no. He was friends with her brother, and she happened to come over to their house when we were over there. Okay. That is my girl. All right. Thanks for the call, Amanda. For sure. Appreciate it. 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. We want to hear what you think about this tragedy. Thank you. National disaster. It's a disaster, dude. No, it is not. It's a straight-up disaster. Oh, P1 Baby Shaker's on the line. Yes. Uh-oh. Hey, I think that kids and animals are extensions of relationships, and I think he should either get out of there or get some grinded glass. Cut some ties, right? Yeah. Yeah, listen. That cat is, like, holding on to an ex. A little piece of it. Oh, the relationship's got to go. So does the cat. No, no, no. Negative. Have you called my wife, right? No. I think it's time. All right. I've been patient for many, many years with this hurtful saga. So anybody with stepchildren should just throw them out right now? No, no, no. Yeah, that's what you guys, that's what you and Baby Shaker are saying. No, Baby Shaker and I were saying, hey, listen, pets are extension of the relationship. Nobody said pets and kids. If you want to date a, you know.
It's true. Baby's mama. Yeah. Then, you know, that's your prerogative. What if you want to date a kitty's mama? But you will never love that cat. You'll never love that cat. You will never love that cat. I don't know. He's pointing as he says it. He's pointing with his index finger. I don't know. Is he talking weird? Mikey, would you feel that way about a child from a previous marriage that's P1 who's the boss? No, I wouldn't because the child's a human and that's a cat. Yeah. Right? They're different. The cat doesn't like me anyway. You gotta treat the cat. The cat doesn't like anybody. Yes, cats like people. No. Yes. Sky, how is a cat like a person? You never liked that. No, cats like people. He was saying cats. Would you eat your dog? Would you eat your cat? So when I was snuggling with Tango last night, what was that about? About your warmth? The fact that you're warm? You're like a little heated? Yeah, in 90 degree Escondido, that's really necessary. So snuggle up for warmth when you have an extra 20 pounds on. If you had a mannequin that you put little batteries in and it got up to 98.6, guess where Tango and Logan be snuggling up to? Not true. Until it's sick of you and claws you to death. Plus you pet it. Plus you pet it. You're doing something.
Oh, okay. In that case, it is about the warmth. It's about love. You will never love that. You're not loving it when you're sleeping. It's loving me. When he curls up all next to me. Loving you isn't the right thing to do. We can't win here. Mikey, no way could I care. I am too very jealous when it comes to many things. There's the word, everyone. Jealousy. What am I jealous of? Get over it. I'm disgusted. Yeah. Because of your jealousy. Why would you keep that thing around? Of her ex and their relationship. Why would I be jealous of the ex? I am not jealous of the ex. I don't want to have to think of the ex. Why? Because the ex did stuff with my woman. It's unnecessary. Whoa. That doesn't make me jealous. It makes me grossed out. Yeah. You will never know. What if the bunny boo. Never. This next text message. Yes. Talk about it. Said, what if the bunny boo came with a gopher from another relationship? It's P1 Big John. That's really hilarious. It would be a dead gopher. Because the boo would kill it. I would never. You would give it the thumbs down. I would not. Liar, liar, your mom shorts are on fire. That's right. Shut up. Somebody have a mom short extinguisher? I'm not wearing my mom shorts today.
What if he brought another Calico Kitty from a different relationship? Oh, is there people listening that don't know what Calico Kitty is? No idea, Mike. You should tell them. I got no idea. Is there anybody listening right now that doesn't know what the Calico Kitty is? You should clear it up. Well, Calico Kitty is what Skye calls her hubby's goatee. It's all the different colors, like a little Calico Kitty. So emasculate. Oh, beyond brutal. It is so cute. Brutal. I love it. He gets handsomer every day. You know, that makes it worse, Skye, when you do that. Look, but he does. He's so cute. Don't flush a toilet. Just flush a toilet. Mikey, well, she doesn't, though, Eddie. I'm telling her. Mikey, it's P1 Tamale. Dude, I dated a woman with kids from a previous relationship. The key is to make the baggage like you more. Dull. I always get to refer to children as baggage. Yeah. Yeah. Why don't you name them Samsonite then? Mikey, the cat is a constant reminder of the past. It's almost like if your girlfriend had her ex's name tattooed on her. But it's like same thing. What are you going to do about that too? Get it removed.
But that's not a living thing. You can't make that. Call Laser Away. Call Laser Away Tattoo Removal. Call Cat Away. That's right. No Cat Away. Call Cat Away. Cat Away. Open a service. You know what the service is? Service comes over to your house and opens the screen door. Yeah. That's awesome. It says release. Go free. Release. You're free. Yes. 3-5-2-5-3 is our text. Our phone number, 5-7-0-1-0-5-3. Don't go away. When we come back. When we come back, I'm going to be telling you about why eight flights were delayed in Boston. Something was on the tarmac. And by the way, we have kids to get down here. We have kids to get down here because Rey Mysterio is coming into the studio. So if you would like to have your kid meet Rey Mysterio, we're going to take a couple of you. Awesome! So give us a call, 570-1053. If you'd like your kid to come down here this morning at 845, about a half an hour, and meet Rey Mysterio. Mikey, Mikey.

You're going to find some weather slowing here as well. Coming into Spring Street, that stays slow out to Lake Murray. And then a brief delay past the Q towards Texas Street. And then a minor slowdown right around Hotel Circle. There was an accident near Taylor Street that caused a mess there. But as you make that turn on the northbound 5 off the 8, you will find some slow stuff here through Mission Bay. Heading south into 5, that's a struggle still from La Costa all the way to Solana Beach. Things are starting to pick up some speed here. Out of Escondido in the south, 15. Some better-looking speeds, actually, through Escondido. Another minor delay through Carmel Mountain Ranch. Still rough in the westbound, 56, though. That's got brake lights backed up from Camino del Sur all the way to the 5 through Carmel Valley. And coming up under the south bay, so fun to jam up, especially on this 5 freeway, pumper-to-pumper out of Chula Vista, up into National City. But from there, you're looking good into the city, into downtown. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rocco 05 for 8. I'll let you know about Amco's the greatest. You got that check engine light on, take it to Amco.
You need your oil change? Take it to Amco. You have an issue with your brakes? Take it to Amco. How about a tune-up? You need a tune-up? Go to Amco. Something wrong with your cooling system? Take it to Amco. Amco, well, first of all, they're the world's best transmission place, but they've been in business for a long time, since 1964. And they got techs in there that can rebuild entire transmissions. They know what they're doing. So my advice is, Take it to Amco. They don't want to fix what isn't broken. A lot of times the dealerships do. Their answer to it is, well, let's make some money. We'll just tell you you got to replace the whole thing. You don't when you go to Amco. And dealerships a lot of times want to take your car hostage, meaning that they take it and they say, yeah, yeah, a couple days, a couple days. And then you want to get it back so bad you're willing to pay. Take it to Amco. Amco is double A. Beep, beep. M-C-O. Why would you take it anywhere else? This is the whole mode. You got shows the best. There is. There's nothing better than San Diego. K-I-O-C. San Diego's Rock. 205.3. Say hello to the Mikey Show. Hi, my gosh. Hello. Featuring Mikey. I'm telling you that I believe that I would be the best person to change your diaper. I don't care, dude. Save that clip. Eddie. I'm very particular. I admit it. That's a flaw in my character. Sky. I'm a wealth of knowledge. Sean. And it's really difficult for me.
Teaching myself to speak. And Ashley. I wear myself on my sleeve. The Mikey Show's on. Like. Rock 105.3. Guys doing this, singing this while he's drumming. How about you? How about that? That's a talent. Him and Phil Collins should do that like a same drum off. Welcome back. It's 820. Nice. Federal authorities announced yesterday that they disrupted a plot by two skinheads to go on a killing spree, shooting and decapitating African-American people, ending with Barack Obama. For the first time ever, a World Series game has been suspended. The rain was too much in Philly last night, and the game was halted, and the sixth inning tied 2-2. Chase Utley says it was a good decision.
It wasn't the ideal conditions, to say the least. But it was when we played through wind before we played through rain. We played on tough fields. But, you know, for a game of this magnitude, you don't want the field to determine anything. You guys want to know why the flights were delayed in Boston? Eight flights delayed in Boston? Sky, what was it? Well, you know, sometimes people like to travel with their pets. Little poodle. Don't Skype. Named Choochie. Choochie? Okay. C-H-O-O-C-H-Y. Would you eat your dog? Would you eat your cat? Spell it again. C-H-O-O-C-H-Y. Choochie. Choochie. Was on a flight from Detroit to Boston and ended up breaking free and ended up running around on the tarmac for quite a few hours. At Logan? Yeah.
They had to delay at least eight flights when the dog would kind of get in the way. I heard Marlon Perkins ran out onto the tarmac and captured the animal. After hours and hours, finally someone had the genius idea, what if we put out a little bowl of dog food? I wonder if the dog would come. And it worked. No blow dart. Crazy. And little choochies all nice and safe now. They didn't shoot the dog with an anesthetizing dart. I heard it was an ex-girlfriend's poodle. I heard that too. I knew it from a previous way. That's true. That's obviously bad. Here's some of the text messages we got on that topic. Mikey, now I'm thinking that my boyfriend lied about being allergic. I gave my cat to my aunt for him. Oh. That's Puan Jenna. Mikey, I hate my wife's dog from her previous marriage. The dog bites me and goes to the bathroom on the floor. That's P1 Dog Gator. Wow, wow. Put him down. How about train it? Can you figure out if the listeners can? All you got to do is go to the website, sign up for it, give them your, you know, they can do it like by your phone number or whatever, you know. That's cool. It's very simple, not like Skye says. That is cool. Why is she over-complicating? Well, I don't know. Sometimes you need, like, account numbers. Don't do it. Oh, since I can eat an account number. I don't have mine. Mikey, just wanted to let you know and let your listeners know. Holy cow. That gas is $2.61 at Costco Santee. Whoa. The election. Oh, my. It's P1 Whiskey. Talk about it. Everyone in the studio right now is shaking their head. Yes. It is too late. I don't think so. You can be an intern.
That is true, but at 32 years old, let me tell you, if you want to teach her, radio is a young person's, you get started in radio as a young person. Can't do it. Can't do it. It's hard to get started later because you're not going to make very much money, which is usually conducive with being younger. Well, you're probably not going to make any money in the beginning. What I recommend is that people try to get a job as a board operator. You get paid, but you're not going to make very much money. You're going to make minimum wage. You're going to work weird hours. Probably in the middle of the night you're going to work. But if you're young or if you're in your 30s but you don't have a family that you need to support. Or a life. Or a life. That is very important. If you want to get into radio, you really can't have a life. Can't do it. Well, you have to be free and willing to work on holidays, weekends, overnights, all the other times. I say follow your dreams. All the other times. That's sweet. That's a follow your dreams guy. A follow your dreams guy. Can I ask you? Follow your dreams. But are you saying that even if you can't pay rent, you should still follow it? Follow them. Okay. We got some irony up in here. Money. Money, money, money. Show me the money.

I've done that. That same feeling you have in your stomach when you come back from that plane. It's a horrible feeling. Like, did that really just happen? Like, who was that girl? Like, I don't even remember her name. Right. Was she a girl? I don't know about that. I don't know if that's what everybody's thinking coming back from Vegas. Every time I go to Vegas. I don't know. Back to the Mikey Show on The Rock. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's a Mikey show. It is 840. Chicago police announced yesterday that it was the body of Jennifer Hudson's seven-year-old nephew that was found in an abandoned SUV. They're pulling the old switcheroo at quarterback in San Francisco. The 49ers named Sean Hill as the new starter. Oh, congratulations, Sean. Let's bring Ray Mysterio. Ray, Ray. There he is. There's Ray Mysterio. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There he is. That's what I'm talking about.
This is great. He's got on the mask and everything. Of course he does. Oh, and a nice Obama shirt. I love it. Oh, yeah. Look at the big Barack Obama deal. I love it, Ray. Ray, are you a big Barack Obama supporter? Right into the microphone. We've got to have you right up. I'm a big fan of it. I should know this by now, right? I'm a big fan of everything. Yeah, yeah. What does that mean, Ray? But not John McCain. Come on. But not John McCain. So you wear a McCain t-shirt every once in a while, too? You know what? When I go to TJ, yeah. Dude, I'm checking out Ray. Ray's got some cool bling. He really does. The mask is blingy. You know, the t-shirt is blingy. I love it. It's really, he's got a cool look. I like your look, Ray. Thank you. I appreciate that. No, I was going to ask you. I want to be respectful and ask your permission. Would it be okay with you if I wore a mask, too? Hell yeah. Okay. Oh, I like this. You're going to do the interview with a mask on? Yeah. What is going on right now? Oh, my gosh. All right. Yeah. Okay, wait a second. That's it. Okay, that's it. Wait a second. What the heck is going on? Shut up. I didn't think it would be appropriate for me to do the interview. I'm uncomfortable. Just normal. Where did you get that? I thought if I'm going to do this interview, I should wear a mask as well.
I am out. You're on my level now. You're on my level. How do you feel wearing it? Oddly secure. I feel oddly safe in here. I feel kind of like a... A superhero? Yeah. You know, like I have like an alter ego. Well, yeah, for sure. What's your superpower? I can eat. Oh, wow. A lot. That's impressive. That's a good one. I can eat a lot. That's neat. A lot of good food. That's right. It's ridiculous. Rey Mysterio is in the studio. Oh, and he wants, don't worry, tons of pictures and video being taken of all of this shenanigans. We have proof. We have proof. Okay, so Rey Mysterio, he is, first of all, he's a good guy. He is what they know, what is known in the industry as...
A face. A baby face. A baby face, right? With the lingo. Yeah, he's a good guy. And he has a lot of fans, especially around here, right, Ray? Man, hey. Everywhere I go, yeah. But hometown, Cali, 619. 619. 619. They have lots of love for Ray Mysterio. For sure. Now, let me ask you, Ray. Never mind. You know what? You look like the guy that wears that mask. I've been trying to get his attention. I don't know if he can see me through the mask. What? I'm sorry. I'm hearing the voices that I must be answering. I'm feeling like I am like a superhero and I might have to dash out of here any moment. For real. Ashley, what are you telling me? What is going on? Do you have his music? Yes, I do. All right, cool. Now, wait a minute. Is this his actual music? That's not Ray. That was his original. I actually do have Ray's music right here. That song was made from my homie, Matt Wan from San Diego. How about that? This guy's from San Diego? Yeah, Matt Wan, Ray Mysterio. I'm D.O.D. with that together. Dude, this is one of the coolest things I think I've ever heard.
right now. Yes, you are. We have Rey Mysterio in the studio. And we're going to let some kids meet him, too, because Rey's really cool like that. And he said it's cool. Yeah, you're cool meeting the kids and everything. Rey loves the kids. So, Rey, you guys are going to be doing something pretty big here in San Diego, right? Tonight. Smackdown comes to town. That's pretty cool when we have something local like that going on that's that big. And they... I'm assuming they tape it, then they play it back a little bit a couple days later. Friday, yeah. Friday, okay. They're back on Friday, Halloween day. So check it out. Yeah. Tickets are on sale right now if you want to get them. Are you wrestling? I'm going to be wrestling tonight. Actually, I belong to another show, which is Raw, which was last night. We were in Tucson, Arizona. I just flew in today. But the show tonight is SmackDown, which I was part of a couple months ago. I got drafted to Raw. Yeah, I got drafted to Raw. But now I'm coming back to SmackDown for a one-night cage match against Kane. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. It'd be good. It'd be good. What was that pose you just did? That was terrible. What do you mean? Is that your superhero pose? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You want to see it again? Why is he doing that? What is that supposed to even be? Dude, it's a lightning bolt. I'm forming like, yeah, I am.
Wait, you're a wrestler. I'm Mexican, too. I'm Mexican, too. How do you say lightning bolt like in Spanish? Rayo. Rayo. Okay. Arriba. Rayo. Arriba. This is so weird. That's pretty cool, right? I could be a character if I weren't chubby. Are you down for some backup tonight, man? I might need it. Dude, that would be cool. Handicap match. Ray and Mikey versus Kane. I like it. Can you imagine? Yeah. Just sit in the front row tonight. Just sit in the front row. That would be so awesome. If they're whooping my ass, jump in there. Oh, yes. I would love it. Do people sit in the audience at these things in masks like that? Like the full-on masks? You see a lot of Rey Mysterio masks out there. Oh, you're that pop. The kids. Yeah, the kids, grown-ups. I mean, everything. Rey's real cool about it, too. He'll go up to them. If he sees the kids, he'll go up to them in the audience. Yeah, temperature-wise, this is getting hot. You got to keep it on. Yep, sweat it out, Mike. Hey, do you get hot when you wear yours? Oh, man. Do you? Yeah, I'm claustrophobic. No. Like crazy. Whoa, how do you do that? Great. For real? I freaked out a couple times. What? Where I literally pulled my mask up. Oh.
Really? Yeah. Honestly, I'm the opposite of it. I really am. Like, I'm the opposite. You're getting a kick out of this right now. I really like it. In fact, I'm wondering. I'm, like, trying to rationalize right now how I could do this and people would be cool. I know you are. Yeah. I'm sure that would be good. Rey Mysterio is in the studio, and we've actually met him before. He's one of the nicest guys probably that we've had in here. He's a good dude. And tonight, he is going to be taking on Kane. At this big event. Smackdown. Is this going to be in a cage? It's going to be in a cage match. How much harder are those kind of specialty matches? What does that mean? They put up a giant steel cage over the ring and they fight. How many feet long? Is it 15? 18 feet. 18 feet high, the cage. So do you crawl on it and then jump off on it? What you do is you can have different stipulations, but the most unique one is... Whoever climbs out of the cage first and touches the ground is the winner. Shut up. Yeah. So it's like tag. No, it's not like tag. It sounds easy, but it's not. I'll do it. It's just crazy because you can't get out of there. That's what makes it crazy. Well, they use the cage is what makes it really crazy. They do? Well, yeah. I'm sure Kane will probably throw Ms. Ray all over the place. Let me ask you, Ray. How much does Kane weigh? Kane weighs about...
320? Yeah, I'd say about. 6'9". He's a little bit bigger than Ray. Ray, how tall are you? I'm 5'4". How are you going to do this? I've done bigger. I've done bigger. How? I don't know. My superpowers. Jump on Rayo! My dad. You know, I'm full Mexican. My mom and dad are Mexican. And so my dad loves anything that has to do with anything Mexican or anything like that. He is going to love me wearing this mask. You're coming home with the mask, right? He's going to love it. Well, luckily, I still live at home. So that'll work out well. Anyway, Rey Mysterio and SmackDown are going to be appearing tonight. at the sports arena. And if you want to, you can get tickets by calling 619-220-TIXS. And yeah, you can probably get some pretty good seats still. They got some good seats available. And you got to come out and see it live because seeing it live is pretty cool. I've actually been to a couple of these. Eddie, you know, has been a wrestling fan forever. And so, you know, knows a lot about wrestling. And were you when you grew up?
Ray, were you a big fan of it? Man. You know, like, the history of it and all that? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Big time. Well, yeah, Ray actually started out as a legitimate luchador. Really? Yeah, in Mexico. Mexico. And, you know, they have their... Big time into tradition and stuff like that with the masks. Where were you born? I was born here in San Diego. Here in San Diego. But you were able to go over there and wrestle over there. Yeah, well, I was born in San Diego and was raised in Tijuana. Yeah. And I would just cross the border like every other Mexican and come to school. Yeah. And at the time, you know, never had time for... football or sports at school because I was too hooked on Lucha Libre. Did you start at like 14, Ray? My first professional match was at 14. I started training at the age of 7. Wow. My whole life. It's just great because...
I'm doing this interview with a mask on and every once in a while I look at Ashley and Ashley is just hip and she wants to laugh the entire time. It's been tough for me. The entire time she wants to laugh looking at me. And so she'll get second or she'll get serious, but only for a second. Like, and then she'll see me again. and it'll make her laugh all over again. Well, like, in the meantime, like, while Ray's, like, answering, like, these serious questions, Mikey's, like, doing, like, his, like, superpower moves, like, all, like, subtle in the background. Oh, jeez. Radio! With his mask. Radio. Isn't that what it was? No. Oh, it's... How did you say it? That's embarrassing. Radio. Radio. No, it's radio. It's not radio. Okay. Either way, I love it. So, Ray, do you got to wear the mask whenever you go in public, or are you cool with just taking it off? No, I'll take it off, walk through the airport without the mask. I don't think that'd be kind of cool walking through security with. Yeah, that's a good point. Okay, I have a question. Now, Ray, do people that watch WWE, you never take it off, right? You never take the mask off. Not on TV, not backstage.
Radio interviews, etc. Right. When I'm at home. Now, has any of these guys that have ever fought you, do they try to take it off? Oh, yeah. Last night was one of the occasions. What happened? I finished a match that I had against Evan Bourne. Yeah. Up and coming star, superstar. And Kane decided to come in after the match. And he took me down and started ripping my mask off. How far did it come off? I was holding on tight, man. And the mask was probably up to my eyes. He had a good handful. Really? Yeah. You probably see this much. But with my hands in front of my face trying to cover up. That's cool. You got the cameras on you, so you got to protect your face, too. Now, tell me about your persona. Like, is there a whole thing of, like, if the mask were to come off? Is there anything attached to that? What would happen if the mask did come off? During a match? Yeah, during a match. I'd run for cover. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Pretty much. In Mexico, it's almost like a disrespect if you take the mask off. So it's important to keep it on. It's part of my tradition. It's part of my culture, my heritage.
My wrestling history. Yeah. You know, Rey Mysterio is a character with the mask. Now, is Rey Mysterio the character? If the mask came off, you could still continue to wrestle. Oh, yeah. That's only if I put my mask on the line. Got it. Oh, do you do that sometimes? Yeah, I've done it. Really? Wow. But you've obviously never lost. Actually, I lost one time. You had to take it off? I took it off and I came back. WCW? WCW, yeah. I remember that. And I wrestled for about a year and a half without the mask. No way. Wow. What high school did you go to, Ray? Montgomery High. Montgomery High. Montgomery High School. Everybody out there, man. What's up? South Bay. South Bay? Yep. There you go. Yep. Well, Ray Mysterio is in the studio. And what about the kids, Eddie? They're coming right now. Can I take my mask off? No. I think you should leave it on. Yeah. Maybe during the break you can take it off. The whole thing about heritage and tradition. Well, but there's also the thing about me being hungry. You're doing your dad so proud right now, though. Remember, I've done appearances where I have my mask on and nice dinner.
occasion where you gotta wear a tie. You gotta eat like that. And you eat like that. That's crazy. You gotta make it work. Wow. Radio. How great does it feel at the end of the night when you get back to your hotel and you get to take off your mask. You know, it must feel so like, ah, you know, it's like Sky talks about, first thing she does when she gets home, she takes her bra off. Okay. And she said that she feels like, ah, she can relax. Or they can relax. Now, do you do, when you get back to the hotel, does it feel great to just, ah, breathe again. Yeah, man, it comes off and I'm surrounded by four walls. That's right. Perfect. I love it. Rey Mysterio is in the studio. We'll take a Mysterio timeout. Stop it. Yeah, about that one. Mike, you're making him less cool. Stop it. I can uncool anybody. Quick timeout. We'll be back with Ray. Don't go anywhere. Hey, Mikey. The Mikey Show is on. I just want to say I love this show. I listen to you guys every single day. Rock.
The following is a paid political announcement. Are you tired of excuses, not solutions, from San Diego school administrators? For instance, school board member Mitz Lee added 86 more bureaucrats while eliminating 300 classroom teachers. Now Mitz Lee refuses to even meet with teachers to talk about it. Parents and teachers say it's time to dismiss board member Mitz Lee and elect John Evans and Sheila Jackson instead. Evans and Jackson will shift decisions away from district office administrators and into the hands of... parents and teachers, so people who understand each community can design programs to help their kids succeed. Saving money by cutting bureaucracy. putting resources directly into the classroom. Evans and Jackson will rehire laid-off teachers, reducing school crowding to give kids more one-on-one attention. John Evans and Sheila Jackson to forge a new majority on the San Diego School Board. Local leadership to put kids first. No word yet who's going to do the lead vocals. Monday Night Football last night saw Tennessee remain undefeated, coming back to beat Indianapolis 31-21. Ray, this song is cool. You like that? Who is it again? That's Matt Wan and Ray Mysterio, myself. I actually, I spit some lyrics on that. Wait, wait, wait. You're singing on this? Yeah. Dude, come on.
And we invited P.O.D. to come over and do our song. That is so cool. Are you friends with them? Yeah. We actually went to the same high school with Sonny and Woog. No way. Wow. What's this guy's name? Sonny. No, no. Do you say Mad or Mad? Mad one. Mad. Like Malo Uno. Mad one. Crazy one. And is he a recording artist? Like that's what he does. He's been doing this big man for, God. He's probably been the same years that I've spent in this industry. As a wrestler, he's done it. Really? Yeah. It's good, man. Doing it big. His album's coming out. It's coming out by December. Uh-huh. So keep your eyes open. What's in it? It's Houdini 5150. Sweet. Nice. Does he got like a MySpace or a website or something like that? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. You log on to RayMystero.com and we're going to link his site up to mine. There you go. I like that, Ray. There you go. Well, that's cool. He's definitely, Ray is all 619'd out, man. For sure, man. I had to take my. Mask off. Yeah, I'm a little disappointed. I'm extremely disappointed. I lost a cage match to the Hitman Hayes from 9-3-3. Really? And he pulled it off. The hair versus mask. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Those are the worst. Yeah, and so I lost and I had to take it off. You know, there's always next time. Yeah. Ray Mysterio's in the studio and...
Got a little boy in here named Robbie who got to come in and meet him. And that's pretty cool. And we got some other kids in here, too. They're coming. They're coming. Robbie from our show. That is so cute. Yeah, little Robbie. Oh, wait. That's a kid. I thought that was Rob. Oh, that's a little boy. Oh, they're the same size. They're the same size. Okay. Well, I gotcha. I gotcha. Well, you got to meet Rey Mysterio. And by the way, tonight. You know how we were saying that this SmackDown is happening tonight at the sports arena, right? You could double the show at SmackDown and ECW, right? Yeah. That's awesome. Yeah, and ECW is live. Now, check this out. They are going to air back the SmackDown part on Halloween night on Friday, right? Oh, yeah. So they want all the kids to come in costume tonight, man. Not any costume. A Brave Mysterio costume. I had to throw that in there. Dude, that is the coolest mask. Do you wear the same one all the time, or do you have different versions? No, it's funny. You guys are the godfather of this mask. I just broke this one in today. Nice. Yeah. Very nice. Do you design it? Yeah. You do? Yeah, I do. That's cool. The design usually stays the same. You know, the birds, the cross, and the Aztec calendar on the back. And I just flip around the colors, you know, change the colors a lot. That's so cool, man. Ray Mysterio is in here, and he said.
He's 5'4", but he's fighting a guy that's 6'9 tonight. Yeah. Now, does it give you any advantage or disadvantage at that height? I think it works both ways. You know, when you fight bigger guys, you always start from the bottom and work your way up. You know, chop down on the knees until they go down to your level. Right. And a couple kicks to the face. Yeah. And then you're down. Give him the 619. It's over. And then it's over. It's gone. Is that your signature move? The 619. How does it work? What's the 619? Dude, it's crazy. What is it? He basically trips a guy so that he kind of is laying on that second rope. Yeah. And he'll run across the ring, grab on the rope, and do like a complete flip around so that his legs smack him in the face. So it's like a whole twist. It's crazy. It's one of the crazier moves. So you're very athletic, very acrobatic. Yeah. And when you were in high school and any of that stuff, did you play any sports or anything? No, I love football, man. But I was so hooked on wrestling and had to get a part-time job. I used to make pizzas at Godfather's Pizza. I used to fold boxes. And I needed to make money to pay for my outfits. My parents were like, you know what? You want to be a wrestler? It's going to cost you good grades.
I had to work for my own money to pay for my masks and all that, you know. Here's what's so good about it. Here's what I really like about your story. I'm sure that especially growing up, you know, Mexican here in San Diego, there's probably a lot of parents that have heard their Mexican little boy say, I want to grow up and be a professional wrestler. And they're like, okay. You know, rolling your eyes like, okay, okay. I'm sure you do. You did it. You actually did it, which is kind of inspiring for any kid that's wanting to do it. You know, you did it, man. You were working at Godfather's Pizza, and now here you are, one of the biggest names. I've got to tell you, you know, I've been watching wrestling since I was a little kid. Since I was like, you know, 10 years old, whatever, less, younger than that. And it is amazing that Ray, the size that he is, has been a world champion in professional wrestling because it just doesn't happen. I mean, especially back in the day when it was all about these monsters and giant guys like Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant and all those guys. To think that Ray, being the size that he is, to go in there and win a world championship is mind-blowing. It's unbelievable. All right, so Ray, when did you start with the WWE? With the WWE eight years ago. Okay, so tell me about how it came up. Was it your agent introducing you to Vince McMahon, or how did this happen?
Wrestling got monopolized. WWE bought out the company that I used to work for, which was WCW, owned by Turner. When they bought that out, they pretty much bought several contracts that came with WCW. My contract was not one of them. Really? So I had to sit back for about a year. Meanwhile, I was still getting paid by WCW, but I wasn't wrestling. Right. What did you do for that year? Pretty much I rested up. That's a lot of rest, man. For a whole year. And getting paid. Can we do that? Can we get paid and just sort of rest up? Somebody buy us. That'd be nice. Believe it or not, I went crazy, man, for about four or five months. It's like, okay, I got to get out of here. I want to go. Where were you? Here in town? I was in San Diego, yeah. And I broke out to Puerto Rico. I wrestled down there for a couple months. And the opportunity came. Okay, let's sit down and talk. Because I was waiting for WWE to get back at me. Okay, now when that happened, they said, let's sit down and talk. WWE says, let's sit down and talk? Yeah, I'm there trying to approach through other people. Hey, have you told them about me? They know who Rey Mysterio is. Then again, I was thinking, well, my size, small cat. I'm not big. Still had that doubt that WWE would ever hire somebody as small as me. How old were you at the time?
I was 24. Were you starting to think, if this doesn't work, what am I going to do? Go retract. Go back to Mexico. Got to go to Japan. Got to do this. So you knew that no matter what, you would wrestle. You just didn't know if I would be with the WWE. Yeah. So who actually called you from the WWE? I made the phone call, and I spoke to Johnny Ace. I spoke to JR, and we were able to meet up in... Who are Johnny Ace and JR? They work for the company. Talent guys. Yeah. Jim Ross, who's one of the announcers. Back then, he was like one of the head guys, like signing guys. Okay. And did you have a relationship with him? Not with JR. With Johnny Ace, yes. Prior to Johnny Laurinaitis. Prior to that, he used to work for WCW. Okay, so you knew him. Yeah, and pretty much there. They work for the company, but they also hire talent. So I met up with them in Los Angeles at one of their shows at the Staples, and we sat down. We talked about me coming in. Question. Now, do you guys, when you meet at Staples, are you meeting, like, in a back room? Backstage. Backstage in an office. In an office? Yeah, during a show. Were you nervous? Yeah, a little skeptical about it.
damn, am I going to get the job or not, or what's going to happen? And when they said, okay, would you like to work? Yes, I would. So when they met with you, it was to offer you a job? It was to offer me a job, a contract, flat out. Did you know that's what it was going to be, or did you think it was just talk? No, once they said, it's here to work, I knew it was going to be to offer a contract. Really? When I took the meeting up there, I didn't know if it was going to be... A delay like, wait, you know, we're going to wait for about a year to bring you back. Or we're going to sign you on the spot. So that was the thing that I had doubting. And what did they want to do? Right away. Right away. Signed up and ready to go. When did you wrestle? This was in April. And I started wrestling within, yeah, two months. Is this your manager that's with you right now? No. But he could be my manager. Rafael's good. What does Raphael do? Raphael is knowledgeable, man. What do you do, Raphael? He's in a business suit, Raphael. I promote shows for the company. I'm with these guys traveling all across the country. 24-7. So you know his history, right? Yeah, for sure. That was right at the turn of the century. We knocked it out in LA. So let me ask you, how does a guy get your cool job? That sounds like a fun and cool job. How did you get your job?
Well, I was in New York. I was actually working for the Mets at that time, and they needed someone who knew the New York market, and they approached me, and it happened. Doesn't it trip you out, like, guys that have cool jobs like that? You go, how does somebody work for the Mets? And then they go from the Mets to the WWE. Do you have, like, a degree in, like, cool job stuff? How do you get that job? Well, I was working everywhere. I went to school in Boston. I was at Foxboro up there, and, you know, doing sports and entertainment. After you work a while, you meet people, and you build a name for yourself. That's cool. I get connected. That's cool. Okay, so they sign you. They sign me up. They sign you, and you fight the next month? By June. By June. Two months later, yeah. They had to run promos and stuff saying, Ray's coming, Ray's coming. Which they did a wonderful job. I was very excited about that because they would show clips of somebody coming into the WWE. The fans, the first week, the fans had no idea who it was. Right. And you get the leaks here and there on the internet. Then the next week, they showed a little bit more of my mask and my face. Right. And the following week, they showed more of my moves. And the fans at that point kind of had an idea who was coming. And they got them kind of psyched up. Yeah. Builds excitement. When I came back, man, it was crazy. What city did you come back in? Do you remember that, Rafa? No. No. It's a good one, huh? Do you remember the sort of reaction from the audience? Incredible.
How did you feel inside? You were nervous going out there. You got to remember, growing up as a kid, I used to watch WWE. I grew up watching Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Jake the Snake Roberts, you know, Shawn Michaels. You know, and I'm only seven, eight years old. And, you know, 20 years down the line or 15 years. I'm part of this company that I used to watch. Did you grow up middle class? Middle class, I would say, yeah. They should do a movie about what you've done because in a way, you know, you've really overcome some odds and everything. Okay, you have a couple of knocks against you right away. Your size, you had the fact that there's not a lot of, like, Mexican or Latino wrestling guys, you know, in the WWE. And so you're already overcoming these obstacles. At the moment that you're walking in, and now you've made it from the WWE to really the big show, right? Now you're going to the WWE. As you're walking into that arena, after a couple of weeks of them promoting you on national television, you must have felt this tremendous sense of, wow, like almost, it must have been a little bit surreal. Like, I can't believe what's happening right now. Yeah, it was one of those moments where,
Where you say, okay, this is it. It doesn't get any better than this. And then the crowd, right? This is as high as it gets. I either got to prove myself now and make my name here and just maintain. Who was the match against? It was against Chavo Guerrero. Really? Chavo Guerrero, yeah. Really? It was crazy, man. The fans, they were already prepared with signs. It was a great night. And did you win that night? I won that night, yes. And the audience, I'm guessing, was flipping their minds up. Yeah, it's funny because that night I wrestled against Chavo. I won, came backstage, you know, and then the main event that night, it was a cage match. And I ended up running down, climbing the cage, standing on top of the cage, and then diving on to, I believe it was, it was Christian and Tess. Two other wrestlers. That I do remember. What is the worst injury you've incurred in the ring? Knee surgeries. You know what? I tore my bicep in February. How did you do it? In a match. I was wrestling. What happened? Very simple. With all the stuff that I do, I move with style in the ring and I come up with some crazy moves every now and then.
I grabbed the dude from the head, and I was going to throw him into the corner. We call it turnbuckle. Right. And he was a step behind. I was a step ahead. When I did this, that's all it took. You're moving forward, and he's not moving. Well, I pretty much had to drag him. I had to drag him. So his force of not wanting to go and me trying to push him, it just snapped my arm, and I grabbed onto it right away. And I saw my bicep was up here. Oh, dude. When you're in the ring, you're in that moment. How do you let your opponent know, hey, something for real is going on here? I'm the type of guy that I zip it up. I suck it up. I suck it up. And we were on tour. We were in South America. We were in Santiago, Chile. This was... February the 13th of this year. So it was hot there. It was hot. It was sold out. It was incredible. The crowd was on fire. We were doing two shows back to back and both of them were sold out. February 13th and February 14th. And I tore my bicep. It was about 10 minutes in the match. And I just, I said, man, I told my partner because I was wrestling tag team matches.
And I said, man, something's wrong with my arm, man. I mean, look. And I showed him my bicep. He goes, dude, you tore your bicep. I said, nah, it's okay. And I was trying to straighten out my arm, but I couldn't. It was bent like this. You know what that is, Ray? Your body is telling you, don't do that. I continued, man. I pulled it off. How much longer? About another five minutes. You're a man. As Jim Rohn would say, he's a man. He's a man. That's great. Mysterio. Breaks his arm, stays in the ring, tears his bicep. Wow. It's huge. Dude. Dude, that's crazy. That's the kicks you get out of wrestling. Did you have to go to, like, the hospital there in Santiago? No, no. Funny thing, I finished the match, came back. It was about maybe 10 o'clock, 9.30. The trainer, because we have a trainer that travels with us and a doctor. They saw it, and they said, oh, man, yeah, it's torn. Within 20 minutes, they already booked a flight for me to fly back from Santiago to Dallas, Dallas, L.A. Met my wife and my cousin and from L.A. flew all the way to Florida to see Dr. James Andrews. Dude, why did they go from Santiago to Dallas to L.A. to Florida? That was the only connection I could get to fly back.
to get my arm checked out. How long a time went by? I was on a plane for about all the way through, maybe a good 20 hours. Yeah, it had to be like... Getting off, on. It was like 12 hours to Dallas, and then another two to L.A., and then another two-hour layover, then another six hours to Florida. Did they at least give you painkillers so that you were okay? They gave me anti-inflammatories, and that was it. That's it? Chad Johnson from the Cincinnati Bengals wants to know, is that it? That's it? Yeah, you're saying that's it? That's it? Yeah, Chad, that's all. That's all he had. Suck it up. Yes, that's all he had. I don't know. Anything else you want to talk about? No, I'm not talking to you, Chad. I'm talking to Ray Mysterio. I don't know why you want to get involved in this. Well, that is definitely not something that sounds fun. Can't do it.
It sounds like it hurt. I don't want that. It did. It did at the moment. How did they fix it? They had to go. That's another story. Let's talk about it. OK, let's take a quick time out. I'm really having fun. I'm really having fun. So, Ray, we'll take a quick time out. We'll come back. We'll talk to you more. OK, all right. And who's a little who else has come in? Let's introduce the little boys. Yeah. Yeah. What are their names? Austin came in. Austin came in. That's cool. OK. Hey, don't anybody go away. We're going to come back and ask Rey Mysterio cool stuff. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. Have you heard the ads for Proposition 8? If you can't get behind Rey Mysterio, I don't want to know you. I mean, what's the matter with you? The most exciting wrestler in the WWE. Oh, dude. Let me see your tattoo on your left forearm. My left forearm. This is the cross? Yeah, dude. Can I see that? Yeah. Let me see that. Let me come over there. I got to check that out. That's a tribute to Eddie Guerrero. Yeah, one of my homies that passed away. Dude, who did the work? That's very cool. Jason Salinas at Avalon Tattoo and Pacific Beach. Oh, shout out. That is nice. That's cool. That's really good work. Yeah, thank you. Really good work. He's done this, this. He just now finished up my chest. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Oh, mama. Oh, mama. Hello. That's cool. That's lemon. Ray Mysterio is hanging out in the studio with us.
And he is going to be wrestling tonight. He's normally a part of Raw, right? Yeah. But he's wrestling on SmackDown tonight at the sports arena. And they're encouraging people to go down there and buy your tickets, go watch SmackDown tonight. Come in costume. And come in costume, yeah, because it's going to replay on Friday night. So it'd be really cool. Okay, so where we left off was... How do they fix a torn bicep? How do they do that? The procedures, it sounds simple. Just sew it back together. Just sew it. Exactly. It's not a big deal. They make an incision right where your arm bends on the inside. On the inside. Yep. Like the opposite side of your elbow. Yep. And another small incision right on top of where your arm folds. And off of that, one. Bless you. Bless you. The one on top, the one that's closer to your bicep, they open that so they can pull back the tendon. So they can pull it down and reattach it. Reattach it to what? To your elbow. Inside. Okay, so inside it's the actual like bones of your elbow that it attaches or cartilage. Yeah. Cartilage. No, it attaches to your bone pretty much. Now, how do they drill it?
They drill. They drill it. And then how do they attach the actual muscle to the bone? The muscle to the bone. Yeah, they drill. The thing is, if you do this right now onto your arm, you can feel like a, it almost feels like a bone. Yeah. Right here, you can hook it. That's your tendon that attaches your bicep. Okay. When you squeeze your bicep and you bend and you straighten your arm out, you can feel that hook. Right. That's what tore. So it tore, it tears, and it curls up. It hides. It was hiding, like, right under here. So where, how did they, what is the, this is what they do. I'll explain it to you. Maybe you can get an idea. Okay. They cut right here. Yep. Stick their fingers in. Yep. Pull it down. Yep. When it's down here, through this incision, they drill it. And then what? Front and back, and now you got your bicep back together again. And then they sew through the hole they drilled? Yeah, of course. Yeah, yeah, yeah. After they've done their work inside, now they've just got to stitch everything back up. No, I don't mean close the hole. I mean where they drilled. What does the hole that they drilled do? No, it's like drilling a... Oh, like a screw. Yeah, screw, yeah. Not making a hole, yeah. They drill the tendon onto your bone. Oh, dude. They tighten it up again. Okay, now, do they tell you is it as strong as it was before you did it?
You always lose that 5% of strength rotation. I get so much chronic pain right now on my wrist, my elbow, when I'm pushing weights, when I'm pulling something. It's never the same. Can you do curls? Yeah. You can? Yeah. It's weird now because this arm is really strong. And when I do my curl, I don't have to push my body. With this arm, I got to bend a little bit. But that's because when I do the curl, this arm goes straight up. This one goes sideways. I can't push up straight because it hurts. Oh, dude. Yeah. How long did it take to heal? I went in late February to get the surgery. Yeah. Like the last days of February. Yeah. Had the surgery. Two weeks later, I was getting ready to fly to Spain to do a promotional tour. Not kidding you, a night before, I was going to leave on a Sunday morning at 6 a.m. The night before, I got home from the grocery store. I was wearing a jacket, put the grocery bags on top of the kitchen table. And then all of a sudden, a lot of water. I was like, oh, man, the milk or what's going on here. And I saw the bags. Everything was cool.
I take off my jacket, and I look at my bicep. Keep in mind, I still had stitches. And they told me to be careful. I look at my arm, and it's just water coming out like crazy. Oh, my gosh. What? And I got infected. Got infected. I had all sorts of things coming out of there. Blood, water. Lily Nelson. Yeah. Smoke. I called the doctor up. Hey, man, I'm freaking out here. I got to leave in a couple hours. And he goes, well, can you come down and see me? It's actual audio, by the way. That's actual audio. Oh, sorry. At Ray's house the day that it happened. Sorry, there you go. I think that was the last one. The doctor saw me on a Sunday. Dr. Chow. Dr. David Chow that takes care of the chargers. He's the one that did the procedure on me. The first time? Yeah. Yeah. And so what did he give you? Antibiotics and say, ah, go to bed. No, after I saw him, I saw him on a Sunday. He said, you know what? You got to come back on Monday because there was no staff. They don't open on Sundays. Went back on Monday. He gave me, he took care of it at the moment. You know, squeezed everything out, covered it up.
He goes, how important is it for you to go to Spain? I said, well, I guess I can wait now. You know, come back and see me Monday. I went to see him on the next day. And sure enough, I saw him. He goes, you know what? We need to go back in there. What did they have to do? They put me back to sleep. Shut up. Cleaned it out. Yeah, cleaned it out and stitched it back up. Was it okay the next time? I think. It gets better. It gets better. The thing is. I told him I had 1976 here. I'm losing the number seven right now. Yeah, I tattooed there. It said 1976. The doc, that was in memory of my brother-in-law. Yeah. The doc said, I'm going to try to protect the seven as much as I can. Yeah. So he did a good job. He cut around it. Yeah. And it actually looked good. But I think trying to protect it affected me. Oh, really? No. But again, I went in. I got the second surgery. Walked out. Of course, it was infected. I had to wear a catheter for like 11 days. And had to go in and out up in La Jolla to get IV treatment. I finished my treatment for antibiotic. I go back to see the doctor. There's still a little bit minor blood coming out with water. And we had to go in for a third surgery. No way.
What month is this now? This is all March. Dude, I had just gone to Home Depot, bought a how-to book, and done it myself. I wanted to put some staples in there. Yeah, throughout the whole month of March, three surgeries. Oh, my goodness. That's crazy. And so finally that time it stuck. Yeah. And this is what bugs me. It's like you went through three surgeries, and it's still not the same? It's still not the same. It's still not the same? No. I mean, it's not going to be the same. They always say once you get surgery, you're never the same. You came back in what, August? Yeah, came back in August. I had surgery on my gut. It's always giving me problems. It's never been normal ever again. Really? Yeah, my stomach's never been... It hurts all over again. It's uncomfortable again. It's crazy. I'll probably have that surgery again in a couple of years and probably not be able to wrestle after that. That's great. You've got to take care of yourself. With that whole mask and everything. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. I'm doing the radio chant. Rey Mysterio. He's a cool guy, man. He's going to be at SmackDown tonight.
At the sports arena. And you should go watch them. Take the kids and get them all dressed up and all that stuff. Did they change the name again? It wasn't the I pay one. No, they changed it again. It's back to the sports arena. I don't even know why they messed with it. Sports arena. It's a sports arena. Hey, when you get to come back to your hometown, where do you want to eat? What do I want to eat? What's your favorite? What do you go, oh, I gotta have that when I get back. Oh, you know what? Tacos El Gordo for me is... Where is it? It's up on 8th Street in Broadway. Tacos of the fat guy is what that means. Tacos of the fat guy. Tacos El Gordo. They actually brought that concept over from TJ. They brought it here to the States. That's right. I don't have to cross the border now. That's right. What do you like to get there? What do you get when you go? Mulitas. What do you get? Mulitas. Mulitas. Mulitas. Mulitas. It's a mule. Come on. What's up, Sky? What's up, Sky? They're called mules. It tastes like horse. That's not a good thing. It tastes good eating. It's awesome. What is it really? It's a tortilla, but instead of folding it, you leave it flat, almost like a bun. Like a bun, yeah. And then you let a bro step on it. They put cheese on it, put it on the grill, let the cheese melt. They chop up the meat, the donkey meat. What meat? Why do you look at me when you say that?
It was fantastic. Who doesn't live in San Diego and hasn't even been across the border and hasn't even heard about the donkey? You've never had a donkey? I've heard of the zebra, which is actually a donkey with shoe polish on it. No, this donkey is good. Tastes like a horse. They throw it on the tortilla. They put guacamole, onions, and what's that green stuff? Cilantro. Cilantro, yeah, cilantro. And whatever sauce you want, they close it up. Everything's dripping. I almost like that commercial, that burger. I don't want to sponsor them. Right, right. Yeah, but it's good. Hey, do you like to cook yourself or no? I'm not much of a cook, but if I have to do it, I'll do it. And I like to surprise my wife and my kids every now and then. So you'll cook something every once in a while? Yeah, every now and then. What do you make that's any good? I actually make, I like to make soup. Yeah. I'm a good soup guy. Albondigas. Sopa de fideo. Sopa de fideo. That's an Eddie thing. I don't like the fideo. I love fideo. And make chicken and gravy and mushrooms, rice, you know. What about, okay, your mom and dad's still around, right? Oh, yeah, they got it. Okay, what do you have if, what do you tell mom, you got to make this? Mom, mom. You get to pick one thing. Arroz con leche. What is it? Oh, wait, that's dessert, right? Yeah. Yeah, dude. Yeah. I know what that is. She knows. I mean, every time I come back from a long period of time. Cinnamon, right? Yeah, cinnamon. You put cinnamon on the side. You know this guy?
Something with milk. It's like rice pudding, isn't it? Yeah, rice pudding. But it's homemade, and I eat it nice and warm. Any donkey meat in there? No, no donkey meat. Donkey meat is before. The rice pudding is dessert. Rice pudding washes down the donkey. Tastes like horse. So there it is. There it is. I'm going to be watching on Friday. I'm going to log on to my DirecTV right now online, and I'm going to have a TiVo. It's on my network TV here in San Diego. You got to go to today's show. Yeah, my network. What time is it? It kicks off at 6, right? 6. Today? Because ECW's on. Yeah, today's show. 5.45. 8 o'clock here on my network. Yeah. So what time will this thing be taping tonight then? 5.45. 5.45? Yeah. What time will you get out? By 9 o'clock, 9.30, you'll be out. That's right. Big match tonight, Undertaker, big show. I'll be the last match of the night. Headline up. Yeah, you're right. Undertaker, Big Show. That's a casket match, too. The loser gets dropped in a casket. It's the Undertaker, man. What do you expect? Is that the same for you or no? No, no, no. I'm in the cage match. I was thinking about that. I was just about to say, could you imagine you're in the ring for 20, 30 minutes?
You're already winded. You're tired. And then to top it all off, you get thrown inside a casket, which it freaks you out just to think about it. You're claustrophobic. I'd feel like, oh, this is really nice. But then they got to close it, and then you got to stay there until the end of the show. Yeah, you read. You tell them to put something on the roof so you can read a little bit. You are ridiculous. I like that. A little light, you know, and you read a little. You catch up. And you don't want to light a match because it'll eat up all your oxygen. Well, you don't light the match, but, you know, you just put a little light in there with a battery and you read a little bit and everybody thinks you're all scared. Hopefully you didn't have no tacos al gordo before. Yeah, that's right. Don't beat any of that horse before you go in there. Have you ever been in a casket? Of course. I slept in one underground. I'm not kidding you. When I was at KCBQ Radio. We did a thing where they buried me for, what was it, three days? No. I'm not kidding. I had to pee in a bag. I can't. That's crazy. And they buried me. They put me in a casket. Like the vanishing. Yeah, yeah. And they put a pipe up to the top. And they had to have a security guard there so nobody would do stupid stuff like pour stuff in the pipe and everything. Right, right. They'd have a security guard there. And I stayed in a coffin buried for three days. No. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, man. And I couldn't eat.
I couldn't eat because they say when you lay down, you know, you don't have to do the number two, and you don't. You know, when you're laying down, you don't have to. But I did have to pee in a bag because I was down there for that. There was a little light. How much can you move in there? Can you rotate your body? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You could rotate, and you had to. You know, you had to, like, they had to give you all these instructions that you had to do to be all right. But I did it for three days, and then after three days, they, like, uncovered me. Wow. And I came out. The big reveal. The big reveal. Of course. I'm the opposite. I'm the opposite of... You like all that. Yeah, I like... I feel secure and I feel safe, you know, with the confined space. You know, I don't want to go to prison, but, you know. That's a kick. You know what? I would love to get hypnotized so they can take away that claustrophobic feeling out of me. This guy's the same way. Her brother used to throw her into a couch, you know, those hideaway couches. And when she was a kid, it messed up her head. Yeah. Put me and fold me in there and leave me there. And then I start to think all this crazy stuff. Like, what if the house caught on fire? No one would know I was in here. So now, yeah, total claustrophobic. How funny. Hey, where do you go next, Ray? What city? What city? Yeah. I go to Tampa on Monday. Yeah. Florida. And then we go on a 14-day tour to Europe. Hey, but doesn't the WWE, like, it's not like other sports where you get to take, like, you know. There's no time off. Yep. We're the only sport.
That is... Full-time, all the time. No off-seasons. Okay, I have a couple questions. Okay, so let's go back to when you got signed and everything. Okay, so they sign you. When did you meet Mr. McMahon? That same night. That night? Yeah. Did he walk into the meeting halfway through or after you signed? No, I saw him when I arrived to the building that day at the Staples and said hi. Okay. And I had met him before. Right. And then after the meeting. Are you wearing your mask at this time? Yeah. Were you wearing your mask? Oh, yeah. No, no, no. No, I wasn't. You weren't. No. I went incognito. Right. Yeah. And then, of course, when I got signed and everything happened, the congratulations. He was there then. The handshake and welcome aboard. Did you ever have a meeting like in an office with him behind the desk kind of deal? Not necessarily. It's been more of other people around. When is the last time that you spoke to Vince McMahon? Last night. Really? So you guys talk all the time. I wonder how the wrestlers relate to McMahon and how accessible he is and how much you guys actually talk. You guys talk all the time? Some more than others. And, you know, when you get to an event, you're busy from the moment you get there. There's cameras running.
You need to do a pre-tape. You need to shoot some footage backstage. Or warm up, a step in the ring. You got to eat. You're there for about a period of seven to eight hours before a show. Oh, my gosh. So you got to take care of so many things. Some people have to run errands on their phone. What time do you have to be there today? I actually got to be there by 2 o'clock. Wow. And they're giving me a break because I'm doing promotion right now. But I think the rest of the boys have to be there by 12. And so, like, what is a conversation with McMahon like? Like, what kind of stuff does he, you know, is he like, Hey, how you doing? Ray, come here. With me and him, it's dry. You know, it's either he gets straight to the point or I get straight to the point. I say, how you doing? Step away or... Is it hi, sir? Is it Mr. McCann? Yeah, I have... Don't call him Vince. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No Vince, though. Every now and then. Yeah? Yeah, every now and then. But mostly, how are you, sir? I think I'll wait until the day he tells me, stop calling me Vince. Call me sir or Mr. McCann. And he doesn't do that, though? He hasn't told me yet. Not in 10 years or whatever. 8 years or whatever. Yeah. Wow.
You know, he's a good guy, man. He's a good man. Great man. He cares about you, right? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just such a trip, man. I mean, you see this guy. He's bigger than life. I don't know anything about wrestling, but I know that he's one of those bigger than life characters, you know. And he is one of those very polarizing guys, you know. Intimidating, too. He wants you to hate him. Intimidating. He's not even polarizing. You're supposed to hate him. But, yeah, intimidating. He's a big guy, right? Yeah, very big guy. He's a big guy. Strong voice. Yeah. You know, deep, very deep voice, very well presented. Yeah. Now, how long do you get to stay at home at one time? When do you get to go home and just stay there for a couple days or what is it? Or does a family, do they tour with you? Every now and then I'll bring my wife. I'll rotate. Sometimes it's my wife and I. Sometimes it's my son and I or my daughter. Sometimes I'll bring the whole family or I'll just bring my kids and let my wife have her alone time. How old are the kids? My son is 11, and my daughter is 7 years old. Does your son want to wrestle? He likes the sport. He hasn't been, like, really into it. He's a football player. How would you feel about him wrestling? I'd be down. You would be. As long as school was good. Yeah. That's cool. Yeah. Hey, listen. You're a fun interview. Thank you, man. You're a fun interview. This was really fun, and I learned a little bit. And, yeah, Rey Mysterio, tonight. Go see him. SmackDown.
It's going to be on my network Friday night, 8 o'clock Friday night. You can watch it. And I'm really going to tape it because I just want to see you wrestle and everything. Right. And I got to meet you. Watch Ray on Monday nights on Monday Night Raw on USA. He's on Monday Night Raw. Cool, Ray. I appreciate it, man. It's always fun to have you in. Thank you. Thank you for having me. We'll come back and we'll do some more stuff. One love. The Mikey Show is on. It's time for you to stop worrying about your credit history. Just because I'm scarfing down on Apple doesn't mean I can't take time out to tell you about AIS. In fact, I would be messed up if I didn't tell you how much money people are saving by switching to AIS. And I can tell you I've done it too, so I'm not telling you anything that I don't personally do myself. AIS insurance saved me $1,600 a year. I used to be with State Farm. And I just paid the amount that I paid and didn't even think twice about it. And called AIS, spent about seven minutes on the phone with them. And they said, yeah, we can save you $1,600 a year. And I said, oh, wow, that's really awesome. What do I need to do now? Do I call my old insurance company and cancel? They said, nope, we take care of all that for you. So how awesome would it be for you to be saving a lot of money on your auto insurance?
And you don't even have to do any work. All it takes for you is to call and get a quote from them on the phone. Try it out. You know, you owe it to yourself to at least give it a shot. It is not the best apple. Eddie, have my back. It's close. It's close. It is close. It's not as good as a Fuji. It is 99% there. What are we talking here? It's not apple. You went out and got one. Yes, so good. And then on Saturday, our friends, Bo and Holly, Holly brought these apples. And I took one bite of it and I went, that is the best apple I've ever had in my life. What is this? Honeycrisp. Honeycrisp. Take a bite of that. But you can purchase these at your local Vons or Ralph's? I didn't. I got that at Stater Brothers. And I got one at Major Market yesterday. Of course. It's got a great texture to it. Nice and crispy. It's so sweet. Calm down. Don't eat like that. You're going to hurt yourself. Wow, she really shoved that in her face right now. Break a tooth.
Oh, that's delicious. It's the best apple I've ever had. It is really, really, really, really, really good. And so crispy. She has apple juice all over her face. Pippin's my favorite apple. Peppa. What? Peppa. Peppa. Peppa. Peppa. I just gave you an apple. She's got juice all over her face. Pippin' apple, have you had it? Peppa. Peppa. Peppa. Peppa. Come on, Peppa. It's so good. They're green. What are they called? They're super crispy. What are they called? I prefer the crispy apple as opposed to the not crispy apple. Is that what it's called? Crispy apple? It's called the pippin apple. Pippin, pippin, pippin, pippin. You're never going to win this one. Can I just say it without the clip? No, you can obviously not. They sell them at any grocery store. All right, Sherry's Jubilee, and that's it. Yes. Mine are hard to find. Yeah? Are they? Pippin apples, they're green. And my mom would buy them growing up, I think, maybe from Food for Less or something, because I go to, like, Vons, like, by my house, and they never have pippin apples. Come on, Ash.
Be honest. You don't have to do a bit. That's the best apple you've ever had, and I know it is. That thing is so crispy and sweet. It's better than Fuji. It's better than Fuji. It's better than Fuji. It's close, but not quite. It's better. It's the perfect apple. Well, you've got juice all over your shirt. So gross. All over. So how does it compare to a Fuji? Is a Fuji better? See, Fujis are too soft for me. Yeah. That's perfect, isn't it? Would you buy that if you went to the store? I do think this is perfect. It's perfect. I do. So does Skye. She went out and bought them yesterday because she loved them, but she won't say it. I do. I do. I like the pippin apple because it's a little more on the tart, crunchy side, which is what I prefer. But this, I mean, you can't really beat this because it is delicious. Of course. I'm bringing you guys an apple pie tomorrow. I'm not kidding. I will not eat it. It's not going to be made from that. She doesn't like pie. But thank you. It's a very nice offer. I'll eat it. Pippet will be a Pippet pie. Pippet. Come on, Pippet. Come on, Pippet. Come on, Pippet. Come on, Pippet. Come on, Pippet. Come on, Pippet. Come on, Pippet. He's chum. That's so funny. Come on, Pippet. Pippet. Pippet. Pippet.
Come on, Pippet. Pippet. Dude, don't you think Pippet would have come already? He's come, bro. It's over. Pippet. No. Pippet's gone. I mean, I hate to be the bearer of bad news and everything. It's over. But it's over, dude. He's not here anymore. Pippet! Pippet! All right, Mike. Well, I got a million things to tell you guys about. Now that we got Apple talk taken care of. Do you know how many people will thank me when they go and they get those honey crisps? Here we go. When you find something that is that like different and great, you have to share it.
That's different. It's different. It tastes so good and it's so crispy. Apples taste good and they normally got a little crunch to them. They're not that easy to eat. I get what you're saying. I love a red delicious. Can you never say that ever? Like that ever again? Can you never do that ever? If we could just make a deal. Please. I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious. How about those Granny Smiths? I love them. It's red delicious. Yeah, but what about the granny spills? Oh, have you had a Washington? Had a Washington, Eddie? What are you crazy? I can't afford that. What am I, Tom Selleck? A little mustache money. That's right. That's a lot of mustache money. Oh, my gosh. Aye, aye, aye. Yeah, Sean, what do you think? Hit fast. That is it. Have a talk with him, bro. That is it. What is your problem? You are unreal. That is it. What's the matter with you? That is it. I hate when he does that. I'll tell you what, that guy's got a lot of nerve. David Spade.
Oh, dude. According to Fox News. David Spade does not smell like horse. How do you know? We don't know that. We don't know that. We don't know. Let's be honest. According to Fox News, David Spade is dating somebody. I'll tell you who it is in a minute. But first, I told you that Pink said she's proud people think she's gay. Like, what does that even mean? First of all, men never say that. Sounds gay. If a man, if they said about a man celebrity, yeah, I think he's gay, that guy would not say, oh, you know what? I'm really proud that people think that I'm gay. Guys don't do that. I am not gay. I never have been gay. Seacrest may be happy about that. Mike wishes he was that comfortable. I would like to be Seacrest. See, that's what he's talking about. That's taken out of context. I don't know. I don't know. So what is Pink's deal? In an interview, this is her quote. Quote, I'm proud people think I'm gay. Everyone has always thought I was gay because of the tattoos, the short hair, the attitude. But I don't care. I love to challenge people's preconceptions. So what? Yeah. You're gay! It's because you look like a dude. So what? You don't know that. No, I saw her up close on a commercial the other day. Freaked me out. Didn't know who it was.
Well, some gals, they have the persona of the burping and the passing of gas. Yeah. And Pink has sort of created that image of belching. She's disgusting. Belching and the passing of gas. She's created that image. And it's an image that I'm not comfortable with. Not flushing the toilet. Wait. In public places. You're disgusting if you do that, right? True. Guys. No, but there is a person that wrote us about Sky. It's called Let It Mellow If It's Yellow. I don't care. Skye says, if it's yellow, let it mellow. Yes. It conserves water, and she does that at home. Skye does that at home. Now, she was telling us earlier how the other day she did it in public. She had the pickup sticks. She just started laughing. So somebody wrote and said, Mikey, I think it's gross what she did. For one, Ashley's right. The next person that comes in is not going to flush it. Therefore, she's not actually conserving at all. We don't know. It didn't look like anyone had been. Yeah, but you said there's some TP, right? Just a tiny bit. Did you hide it? No. Where am I going to hide it? Well, that's the thing. I mean, if they see it, you know, that's the deal. No, no, come on. It says, but I have a question. What about her hands? Did she wash her hands or does she conserve their too? Sean, don't.
You can serve there, Skye, as long as you don't get your hands dirty. There's no reason to waste the water. She washed them. Not if you don't get your hands dirty, Sean. I know she did. I do still wash my hands, but I don't wait for the water to warm up anymore. I don't waste the water. Wait for it to warm up? Well, yes, I used to wait for it to come to 76. What? Taking a bath? What? You're washing your hands, bro. I used to have the boo draw my hand washing water. And a tepid 78. Boo, I think I might make a yellow at 2. So by 2.04, could you have a hand-washing bath drawn for me, please? Please draw me a sink, if you will. You idiot, it's 77 degrees. I asked for 74. What's the matter with you? You want these beauties to get burned? Please, please, what's the matter? Ramsey. Ramsey, will you draw my hand-washing bath? No, I'll just use the water from the toilet. Double conservation. You're so stupid. No, no. That's not going to help me. It will. No, it won't. That's why I just made the potty. I'll use the backwaters.
What is the backwaters? The water's in the back. Why drink? Oh, backwaters, keep on rolling. Oh, Mississippi moon, won't you keep on shining on me? Oh, backwater, keep on rolling. Mississippi moon, won't you keep on shining on me? Oh, Ramsey. It's me. It's singular. It's not plural. I did it. No, you said me's. You didn't come to the last rehearsals. You don't know. That's true. I didn't. From the top, then. And a one, and a two, and a one, two. Oh, backwaters, keep on moving. Ramsey, I'm at the rehearsal now, and I know that you're not supposed to add it, make it plural. It's singular. Singular. Singular now. From the top. And a one, and a two, and a one, two, three, and a old black manservant. No, no, no, no, no, Ramsey. No, no, no. Insolent effunery. Yeehaw! What?
And a one and a two and an old black man servant. You're doing that on purpose now. Who's doing what? I'm trying to sing. Who's doing what? I'm trying to sing. I've got the lyrics. Water. Let me see them. Let me see. Let me see yours. Do you have to crumple the lyrics so well? Let me see them, Ramsey. Hand them to me. Ramsey, what are you doing? Let me see. Here we go. Oh, my God. Let's do this. Well, I have a man servant. I have him so much. Oh, my God.
Pull down your Dolce & Gabbana boxes. Oh, no. These are my favorites. You are my white man servant, Ramsey. Pull down your $45 Dolce & Gabbana boxes so that you can take your whipping. There you go. That one really is. Oh, so it didn't because at the end you faked it there, you faker. No, I didn't. Yeah, you did too. Stop it. What? What did you say? Who said what? Did you say Mandy Moore? You did. An indication that it didn't add. No, it did. You're faking it, Ramsey. What's the matter with this boy? Let me try it again. Don't write me for so long. Now you're in it. Now you're completely lost your stupid mind. That that's how you'd react. Wow.
Let me see the little thermometer, please. Let's test the water. Ramsey. What's the problem? This water temperature is only 72 degrees. You know I take my hand washings at 75. But we've been arguing for 20 minutes. I had it at 74s. I said 70. No. The best you can do is Kiefer Sutherland. That's not bad. That was not a good one. No more. Wash your hands. I don't wash my hands unless the temperature's 75. I'll put some hot cocos in there. I don't know. That was a good one. I like weak marketing. That was actually, I wasn't bad. I keep on moving Mississippi more. Won't you keep on shining on me.
Beautiful. It's really good. Mikey Show. Hello? Yes. Hello? Yes. Go ahead, man. Yeah, dude. I ain't lying. I work at a farmer's market. And so we get, like, the grubbing organic stuff. And I know all about, like, the Fuji and the Pink Lady. You got any of those Honey Crisps? You got any Pink? Some Pink Ladies? Yeah, dude, give me some of those Honey Crisps, all right? You got Honey Crisps? Oh, and you know this, man. I want some. What a coincidence. I have some, brother. Can you hook it up? Look at you. Yeah, can you hook up some of the Honey Crisps? Absolutely, man. I was thinking I could bring, like, a bunch by. Yeah. Maybe when you guys... When can you bring them, dude? Well, I was thinking like a good time might be like Friday when you do your catered breakfast. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You guys have like fresh fruit with it.
A lot of good stuff, and it's all organic. Yeah, yeah. Let me put you on hold. Of course. Hey, where did the kid go? Little guy's in there. All right, hang on a second. I'm going to let you talk to little guy, and then we'll get... Little foot. Hey, Robbie, can you get him all squared away and tell him how to get here and all that stuff and get him hooked up for Friday? Or at least put him in touch with the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Jr. Esquire, MD, DDS. President and CEO. As seen on TV. Yeah. Where did he go? Is he gone? He's getting some delicious food. Oh, sweet. Is there a guy on TV wearing a Michael Jackson jacket? Oh, my. That guy's really wearing a Michael Jackson jacket. The red one with the zippers. That's right. Okay. Did I miss anything? Missed anything big? I'm addicted to bathhouses. Oh, Sky, why would you say that? Is that part of the news? Sky got new releases in there Tuesday today? Yeah, it's Tuesday, right? It's Tuesday. What do we got? New releases. Did I tell you? What? Oh, here we go. Gutter mouth. Eddie, this will be the third weekend in a row. Oh, yeah, Eddie, don't do it because Sky doesn't like it when you give away what the big movie is. I don't even know what's going on. It steals her thunder because that's part of what she does is give away that information. All right. Fine. Are you ready? Yeah. New video games out today.
We have Guitar Hero World Tour for Xbox 360, the Wii, PS3. Hey, will you get that? What do I look like, Micah? Come on. Poor Cycle. What does that even mean? Tia De Rossi? Yeah. Kiefer Sutherland? What kind of money you think I have around here? All right. Also out today, we have Fallout 3 for Xbox 360 and PS3. That's supposed to be awesome. Yeah, is it? Yep. Okay, cool. LittleBigPlanet for PS3. We have Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 for PS3, Xbox 360. MotoGP08 for PS3, Xbox 360. PS2, hello. Well said. High School Musical 3, The Senior Year Dance for PS2. Oh, nice. Alien Force, the game, PS2, and Wii, and then finally FIFA, Soccer 09, all play for the Wii. Wii! All right, new music out today. Where's some new music set? Front page, center, and green. Got it. All right. What do we got? Everybody's favorite girl who loves to be called gay, Pink, with Funhouse. So what? Catchy, right? Can't deny it, it is. You're listening to it. Mike Singletary, you're listening to it right now.
Can't do it. Don't tell me you can't do it. You're listening to Pink right now, dude. Cannot play with him. Cannot win with him. First of all, it's a woman. Cannot coach with him. Despite the appearance, that is a woman. Her name is Pink. And so to say that, Mr. Singletary isn't very fair to her. All right. Also out today, we have John Legend with Evolver. Oh, John Legend. We're looking for the world to change to the same. What kind of music is this? How would you categorize this? Is it soul? Is it pop? Is it R&B? Is it... What is it? Is it jazz? It's urban and rhythm. It's urban and rhythm? Yeah, it is what it is. I get like a black Josh Groban vibe from that. Sure. I really do. We have it all. He's out today, too. We could have been happy together. That's beautiful.
All right. Also, with an album out today, we have Lady Gaga with the fame. Wait a second. Your motivation in life? Who's Lady Gaga? Is it a band or a single person? It's a single person. And she calls herself Lady Gaga? She was a songwriter for a while, wrote a lot of songs for Interscope, specifically the Pussycat Dolls, and then got her own thing. Is she a white girl? Mm-hmm. She's a white girl? Well, I mean, she looks... She looks like a black girl? The only time I've ever seen her is during So You Think You Can Dance or during The Hills, and she was all done up in her outfit. She wears this spandex unitard, and her hair is all in a ponytail, because she's a really good dancer. She looks white. Yeah, she looks white. The white man is a devil. There she is. There's a clip of her right there at a press conference for the release of her CD. Interesting. I'm not your sister, Cracker Jack. And then she just walked off stage and started singing this. Oh, but she's good.
That was good. All right, with their third album, we have Block Party with Intimacy. There's a band called Block Party? Yeah. That kind of hurts. Right? That's enough of that. Right? Okay, Snow Patrol has a new album out today, 100 Million Suns. That's what I had to say. I get it. You have dark-rimmed glasses and a very sharply cut black haircut. I get it. You have layers. You're wearing black with tennis shoes and a skinny tie. You're wearing tight black jeans and a skinny tie. I get it. I get it. With a double album out today, Celine Dion, My Love Ultimate Essential Collection. She can't hear you. She's still not responding to you.
She must not be able to hear you. Can you imagine if that was the guy in the studio next to Celine while she recorded this song? And he's banging on the studio wall. And she's just like getting into it, like not hearing him, you know? All right, with a new album today, The Cure with 413 Dream. They're still around? The Cure. Good thing they don't have to put any effect on the voice. Let's hear what sounds like. What's that? And we've got a new one from Oingo Boingo today. And then finally with the last new musical release today, we have the soundtrack to... Animotion. No. The soundtrack to... Dead or Alive.
Quantum of Solace, the new Bond movie. It's all done, the score's done by David Arnold, but it does also include the Jack White, Alicia Keys song, Another Way to Die. This sounds pretty good. I like that. Are you playing this through your phone? Yeah. This is actually my ringtone. We get this audio out of a dirty sock. It's a sick song. They recorded it in someone's pocket. All right, new DVDs out today. We have Jen... Uh-oh. Journey to the Center of the Earth. Which comes in the 2D and the 3D versions. If you buy the 3D version, it comes with four pairs of 3D glasses. It was pretty good.
Sean, you actually saw it in the theater? I went and saw it in 3D. I did. Yes, I did. You sat in the theater wearing glasses. Yeah. He's that guy. You're that guy. I saw it in 3D. I thought it was pretty good. And so if you buy the movie, it comes with little glasses? Yeah, there you have the 2D and the 3D version available. And like Eddie said, also on Blu-ray. And you get the glasses, four pairs of glasses if you buy the 3D version. Sean has 3D. come anywhere or is it still not really that great? 3D is not that great. I have to be honest. It's not that great. Oh, man. It's like a little kid movie, Mike. I mean, what the hell is a 38-year-old man doing? If I would have seen that, I would have called the cops. I called Chris Hansen or what? Seriously, bro. You're telling me, Eddie, you think it's unusual that a six foot... Six foot four, 300 pound guy. 38 years of age. What's wrong with that? With 3D glasses on by himself in a kid movie. That's a great visual. What's the matter with that? That's a little creepy. That's a little weird. Sean, I'm trying to defend you here. I'm saying...
What's the matter with that? Doing a great job. No. Laugh it up, jackass. Whatever. I'm sure the fact that he was eating baby food helped. It probably did. The entire situation. It made the kids feel safer. Very relatable. More normal. Yeah. Hey, listen. He doesn't do that. He does. Put him on a website or something. He doesn't do it in a theater. I think it's Megan's law. Stop it, you guys. He needs to do something. He doesn't do that at the theater. Just other places. How do I know? Sean, do you do that at the theater? Sean. Sean. I'm defending you here. Man. I don't get any credit for that. Maybe we should move on to the next movie. Yeah. So, Sean, what did you think when you saw Kit Kidridge, An American Girl? Abigail Breslin. Was that good, too? Love her. Oh, Sean. Sean? Play with the green hearts. Okay, all right. Maybe he'll like this one. New release today, Tinkerbell the movie. Sean. Is it in 3D? Your thoughts. It's all focused on Tinkerbell. It's her own movie. I love that. Raven Simone. Sean, is he still there? I don't know. I'm too busy trying to get my name off of Megan. Once you're on there, bro, it's tough.
Stop. Oh, that is weird. Okay, movies on Blu-ray this week. We have Elf, Polar Express, and all the new releases are also available. Elf is a little too mature. Yeah, Polar Express. This is a good movie. I like that movie. That's a good one, Shawnee. Okay, TV shows to DVD. We have Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Complete Series, L Word, The Fifth Season, The Complete Set of Sanford and Son, Good Times, News Radio, and The Flintstones, all available. Oh, as well as The 4400, The Complete Series. Girlfriend, Season 5, Mystery Science Theater 3000. Volume what? The 20th Anniversary Edition. And then we have some sports on DVD. We have NFL, Dallas Cowboys, 10 greatest games. And we also have Boston Celtics 2007-2008 NBA championship in July. Riot! Riot! Hey, Shawnee, I can't play this off mine, but I got to hear what this sounds like. The Paris Hilton singing about herself running for president. Cut 18.
I think the thing I really like about it immediately is that there's absolutely 0% chance that there can be anything annoying about it at all. That's a good point. Unpause. Thank you. That's Paris for president. It's available where? On her MySpace? I think, is it Funny or Die, Sean? Are they the ones who did that as well? Because they did her initial, you know, campaign commercial. So I don't know. I think she has a... I know it. I'd rather die. So you're picking the or die. Yeah. Okay. If she hadn't ruined her image with her image, I think she has a pleasant voice and she's so pretty that she would have been very marketable. See, Rob, you put too much of your own stuff in there.
If you didn't know who Paris Hilton was. So I shouldn't have my own opinion? No, no. What I'm saying is she formed the opinion with her annoyingness. I don't think she's that hot, dude. Her sister's hotter than she is. If she walked into the studio right now and we didn't know that she was Paris Hilton and Microsoft walked her in here and said, hey, guys, I want you to meet this new girl. She works in the sales department. Her name is Paris. She's dressed in a business suit. She'd walk out of here and you'd go, ahoolga. Dude, she looks like a pelican. You only say that because she... Well, yeah. Look at her nose. He says this. You're so stupid. He says this. Dude, when have I ever... Idiot. Mariah Carey. Every day you're like, I love Paris Hilton. Every day. And pelicans. And pelicans. Yes. If Mariah Carey had done the same thing with her image that Paris did, he'd be like, oh, dude, she looks like a Ty Ryan. No way, dude. She looks like a toaster oven. Paris Hilton ain't hot, bro. She's beautiful, Harris Hilton. That's stupid. She has very natural beauty, but she's annoying. Everything about it's fake, though. No, it isn't. No, no, no, dude. She's a pretty person. Well, besides her hair color, her eye color, and her nose job. Oh, wow. So that's very natural beauty. Hey, that is some natural beauty right there. Oh, yeah. I had to take his headphones off. I do my aerobics. Oh, wow.
She really does a whole annoying thing on herself. Sky just told me a couple of weeks ago that she's not really blonde. I thought she was blonde. Turns out she's not. And she's really not blue-eyed either? No, I don't believe so. I think she used brown hair, brown eyes. You know how a lot of times when people wear contacts, you can tell their eyes look like they're wearing contacts? I can't tell with her. I mean, they look real. Whatever she's got looks real. Your contacts cost like a billion dollars. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm sure they can make them pretty nice. Yeah, yeah. But you got to admit, she's pretty though. Hey, man, I used to think she was ugly before I saw her up close. Like when I would see her, like I was like Rob. Yeah. I was like Rob and I was like, oh, Paris Hilton, she's not that cute. She's fake, blah, blah, blah. Yeah. But I saw her up close and she's really, really pretty. Yeah, I think she's pretty. Somebody, I can't remember who. Maybe that will change my mind. Have you ever seen her up close? I have not. He makes these bold statements, though, that pretty people are, you know. I didn't call her a dog. I called her a pelican. Who's prettier, Fergie or Paris Hilton? I pick Di. No, that's not an option. You're the worst. Same with Fergie. Like, I can't.
Hideous. Fergie's not bad looking. She's gorgeous. She's gorgeous. The female gremlin. Remember that one? With lipstick? You guys remember that? I do remember that. He's out of control. Ridiculous. 570. Exactly. 570-1053. That gremlin grew up. Stop it. Join the Black Eyed Peas. Beginning and end of every show, we do open phones and call in about anything you want to. You're crazy. We got to get out of here. Wow, tomorrow's already in the middle of the week. Hump day. That's right. That's right. Paris for president. Gets stuck in your head, doesn't it? Oh. Eddie almost blew a pin at you. I'm good, Eddie. I'm done. Keep geared up. I got it on my system, bro. 570-1053. Or text us, 35253. We got to get out of here, though. Yeah. So if you text us, we're not going to read it until tomorrow. Mm-hmm. Mikey Show. Mikey Show, hello. I have to support Boston Rob and Fergie is hideous. Oh, wow. That's what I'm saying. It's mean. You know what I'm talking about. I don't think so either. That's a strong word. Hideous. She's got a strong face. You're so dumb. Sky, you like that. You're laughing a little bit. Come on. Mikey Show. Hello. Yes. Hey, good afternoon, Mikey. How are you? Good afternoon. How are you?
I'm doing extremely well. I got to call in, and I got to talk about Skeet real quick. Go ahead. No, it's not afternoon, Ayo, so you're not allowed. Uh, it is... Okay, anyways, look. Look. I'm a little perturbed. You are a disgusting individual for not washing your hands. At least I know it's not noon yet, bro, okay? Really? Really? Really? This is breaking down. It's really odd. You're going to scream like a girl. You open a public restroom on that nasty handle and you can't wash your hands. I did wash my hands. I told you I washed my hands. I just don't wait for the hot water to heat it. Yeah, she just didn't warm it first. You don't even see the percentage of sanitization. Disgusting. Say really again. Really? Really? Oh, really? Come on, Ayo. You know you love it. Thank you, Ayo. Mikey Show. What's up? I think the lovely and talented Minty looks way better than Paris and Fergie. Hey, listen. I ain't going to disagree with that. I ain't hating it. That was two black guys in a row, dude. It's two for Tuesday. Come on, let's go for one more. I'm sorry, I'm not black. Dang it.
What's up? This is P1 Andrew, the freight train, and I just wanted to say that, yes, I do agree with Rob. Fergie is just hideous looking. She's got man hands. Oh, these people. She's dating Josh Tumult. What are you, a supermodel? Who are we to judge? I know it. Please. Come on. Please. Nike show. Hello? Hello. Hello. Hey, Fergie looks like someone shaved a dog's butt. All right. Come on. Wow. You see what you did, Rob? I guess I'm wrong. You're too mean. Sorry, Fergie. Sent out a mass text. I mean, with all due respect. No, that doesn't work. No, no, no, totally. Totally. All respect taken. Yes. Lovely and talented Missy today on the Nooner has the all-request lunch. So if you want to hear a song, you just call up any requested. Don't forget Rey Mysterio tonight. at the sports arena and dress in costume because it's going to air back on Halloween in a couple of days. Bread delicious. Caramel apples. What about those washers? I like the pickles. Morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show is out.
