The show included commercial breaks for brands like Amco, Panda Express, and Mossy Nissan, transitioning to political discussions about Prop 8, Obama's press conference, and Nancy Reagan. at 6.06. Barack Obama is heading to the White House today to meet with the president and get his first look at the Oval Office. Seriously? The Chargers win comes down to a missed two-point conversion by the Chiefs winning 20-19? Really? Dude, I had so many thoughts on those Sandy Chargers, man. Well, here's Clinton Hart breaking up the two-point conversion. Bowe is wide to the left, Bradley way out wide to the right from the left hash for the ball game. It's 20-19 with 23 seconds to go. Shotgun snap, it's high. Thigpen rolls out, being chased, heaves it high in the air. It is knocked down, and the Chargers are going to win this game. Clinton Hart, the guy who was called for pass interference, stepped in there, made the play. The Chargers 20, the Chiefs 19. Yeah, but those Chiefs are turkeys, man. What do you mean, Mike? Because they were having a third-string quarterback, a fourth-string running back, without their best player on defense. That's why? Did we, too? Is that the deal? No, we had all 11 Pro Bowlers out there playing against the Chiefs. Before the kickoff, I say to my wife, I go, I'll tell you what, man, that new defensive coordinator Ron Rivera's in there.
I bet this defense comes out here fired up. She goes, why? I said, well, you know, the whole psychology thing, you know, like he probably got them fired. They're like, hey, new ball game here, new sheriff in town. Let's do this. And then. One sack. Hey, that's 100% up from. Last game? Yeah. It was kind of a lucky 100% improvement. Hey, that is 100% improvement. I don't know what player can play now. You know what? A win's a win. We'll take it. I mean, it's a W any way you slice it, and I guess we'll take it. Oh, my. I doubt. that the Chargers would have any problems against a team like the Titans in Tennessee. You know what? I agree. I think they would be manhandled. That's right. Very similar teams psychologically and talent-wise, right? What is the problem, Eddie? Can't do it. Mr. Singletary, neither can we. Eddie, break it down. I can't. I don't know. I really don't understand.
Cannot win with him. I almost, this sounds really bad, but I was almost hoping they would lose that game. Why? Just so we can get rid of North Turner. I'm over it. You're over it. I've been cool for a long time. Wow. He's been cool. Dude. That's it. He really has. When you think about it, I make the joke, you know, and Eddie's like, Mike, and he never one time have I heard Eddie. really come down about Norv Turner. But the kettle's been on the burner, huh? Dude, look at this team. It's the same team every week. Nothing changes. They come out. They're flat. There's no fire in this team. It's true. It's like they go through the motions for the first half, and then they come out and they go, oh, okay, well, we'll try and win now. And then, you know, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they do. It's like, what? Yeah. Chiefs, Mike? Yeah. The Chiefs? Yeah. A horrible. A horrible Chiefs team. I mean, Tyler Thigpen? Yeah. Pigpen's on that Chief? Yeah, Pigpen. Oh, wow. I had no idea Pigpen played for that team. Maybe it's all the dust. They can't see through it. I guess it could be. But I mean, really? Brutal. You can't beat the Chiefs barely?
Oh, here it comes. There he is. Try and get past that. The Red Baron running the ball. Yeah. And they even did the missed field goal thing like in Peanuts, you know? Lucy moves the ball out of the way. And we still barely beat. That really happened. It did. They missed the extra point because of that. In the same way. In the same way. No. I'm not kidding. Come on. No joke. Oh, come on, Charlie Brown. Good grief. their extra point, we wouldn't even be talking right now. If Lucy hadn't pulled the ball away, Chiefs flat out would have just probably won, right? You blockhead. You blockhead! That's crazy. You know, I was sitting next to Microsoft yesterday because they were, I actually went to the game yesterday. I know it. It was my ma. And he says to me, it was in the very beginning of the game when it was, like, third and whatever, and we had them pushed way back on their, like, five-yard line or wherever. I don't know where it was, way back there. And it was third and whatever. And, you know, the San Diego crowd was kind of like, yeah, yeah, yeah. And he says to me, he's like, this is what it sounds like when it's third and whatever, like here. In your own, you know, on your side of the ball.
Football. Yeah. This is ridiculous. And now, I'm not cheering, but I'm a nerd, you know? Like, I'll say about myself, like, I am so passive at football games. Like, I'm not the guy that should be. I'm not a season ticket holder. If I were, I would be that guy. But I'm not that guy. It seems like, though, like, watch a game when Seattle's at home. And, you know, they always talk about the whole 12th man deal or any, I don't know. Pick a city. where they just get all freaked out. And as I heard Hank Bauer say 154 times yesterday, the Boo Birds were out. The what? What does that mean? Well said. The Boo Birds. Yes, that's right. That's the Boo Talkies. What the heck does that mean? You've never heard that phrase before? You've never heard the Boo Birds? The Boo Birds is when the crowd is booing. Booing. Oh. Oh, I've never heard that. Oh, wow. And they were booing the Chargers. They were creative. They were booing the Chargers. They deserved it. Yeah.
Yeah. Absolutely deserve it. We should change that. Just say the Boo donkeys are out. That's right. Well, no. Come on. But then the giant crowd would show up. That's right. Some music. That's right. Some techno music. That long-way hair. Good-looking hair. For those of you new listeners, we call Sky's husband the Boo. Oh, yeah. Well, that's what she calls him. She calls him that. And we've picked up on it. He's adorable. That's right. He has movie star hair. He has hair like Adrian Guerrero from Entourage. There you go. 570-1053 is our phone number. Call us right now. Beginning and end of every show. Open phones. You can call about anything you want. Questions. You can ask questions. You can make comments. Whatever. Let's introduce all seven of us. There are seven people on the Mikey Show. That's a big staff for a morning show. A lot of times for morning shows, it's just, you know. One dude and a producer, sometimes two guys and a producer. We have seven people on the Mikey show. So congratulations and good luck. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I am 38 years old and like to grow tomatoes. I'm getting a little upset because we're getting a little cooler now and I know that not much time is left. Oh, Mike. Oh, Mike. The window is closing. The window is closing. Oh, no. Damn it. That's right. So what are you going to do? I guess grow cold stuff. Okay.
Eddie is our producer, our sports guy, and he's pretty gosh darn good on that pregame show. Got to listen to that yesterday driving in. Awesome. Yeah, that was cool. And then Eddie went out there yesterday and was not prepared for... Cool. Frozen Tundra. What an idiot. Or the blizzard. Oh, my God. I've never seen wind like that at Qualcomm. Ever. Crazy. Ever. It was nuts. It was like, I mean, I felt like that giant tent we were under was coming down. Yeah. Wow. And at one point, they have this huge, it's probably a hundred pound giant Chargers helmet that hangs behind us. And, I mean, it was moving pretty good. And at one point, it hit Laz in the head. Oh, my God. The wind was blowing so hard. Is she okay? Yeah, I mean, you know, it caught him pretty good. But, I mean, it was crazy. Dude. And I was freezing because I was wearing my normal shorts and a short-sleeved shirt up there. And I didn't even think. I just walked out of the house. And I'm like, you know, whatever, San Diego. It was.
It was way off. It was a little chilly. I was dying out there. And then I go, I can't take it. I have to go buy something because I'm freezing. So I walk over to, they have a little Chargers merch stand in that power party. And I see a pretty cool sweat. Shirt pullover type thing. And I'm like, oh, that's cool. I'll just take that. And the guy has it to me. He goes, okay, 90 bucks. Oh, wow. 90 bucks? $90. I go, you realize this is just like cotton and stitching, right? You make this yourself? Skrill. Can I eat it? I did not buy it. When I'm done wearing it, this is Thanksgiving, right? Yeah, I did not buy that. I suffered. I'm not paying 90 bucks. No way. Can't do it. Can't do it. Can't do it. No way, Jose. 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. And then also our answering machine. We have an answering machine. P1 answering machine is available for you. 858-715-1923. Real quick, let's get the introductions out, then we can start up. Sky's our news girl. She is 31 years old. Let's see. Shawnee, oh boy, is our sound effects guy.
Lives in San Francisco. We see him on a little camera. And he's 38. Ashley is our assistant producer. She's 25 years of age. That's right. She's got blonde hair. Wow. There she is. Thank you. Thank you so much. There she is. Thanks. And then Boston Rob is 25 years old. He's sitting in front of us. He's got his hat on backwards, and he is our everything guy. He does a little bit of everything. Why is he clapping for himself? Not really sure. I'm still clapping for Ashley. That's right. Big fan. And then there is the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Jr. Esquire, MD, DDS, president and CEO. As seen on TV. Hey, Zeth. Hello. Hi, Zeth. Hello. Let's call him Rosie. Let's see. So you can call and let's discuss. Is it officially fall? Is the weather changed? Are we, like, done with it? It's a winner.
Yeah. Is it winter? I was freezing yesterday. It's still cold. That's the truth. I made soup last night. I was so cold. What kind? Albundigas. Oh. He made it? Now he's just showing off. Yeah, right. Dude. I didn't even know you could make soup. It's not that hard, actually. Where do you think it came from? I don't... I've never... Like, you make soup? Cans? I thought that's... Wow. I thought you carried soup, like, when you rode the caboose and you had... the stick with the bandana on the end of it. Yeah, but I get that from a Campbell's cam, Mike. I thought that's what you had. Rob carries in a little barrel around his neck. Exactly. Case of emergency. Yeah, they say that it'll still be a little chilly today, but we're going to slowly warm back up, and we could be seeing the 90s by the weekend. No. Too much. Too much. We're in the winter. Global warming. Damn you, Al Gore. That's right. It's Al Gore's fault. So who knows? So check this out, man. We sign on and Sky's like, hey, I got to redo your news thing. We just got this breaking news that DHL is cutting 9,500 jobs in the U.S. Yeah, just in the U.S. What's up? I don't know. They say, you know, because of the bad economy and everything that they're going to discontinue ground and air operations in the U.S. Oh, wow.
So they say they'll continue operations between the U.S. and other countries. But within the U.S., I guess DHL is done. Okay, first of all, that's the yellow package with the red writing. That's how we know DHL. And a lot of people do DHL. We've seen it around. I guess no more DHL? I guess not. That's what they're saying this morning. Discontinue air and ground operations within the United States. It's crazy that this time of year, too. Because you figured they're going to send. They'd be busy. Yeah. This is like the busiest time. Big time. Big time busy. And how did they ever do it in the first place when you have UPS and FedEx? You'd think those guys would own everything. They'd own all the business. I wondered how DHL made it in the first place. 570-1053 is our phone number. You can call us. We have a P1 answering machine open for you, too. 858-715-1923. Call us, man. Light these phone lines up. Let me hear from you. Hey, Mikey, this is P1 TJ calling from Tijuana. I just wanted to say that you guys are the best. Maybe that's all he wanted to tell us. Well said. Si se puede. Yeah, si se puede.
He just wanted to tell us that, and that was all he really wanted to do. I accept. Last week, Eddie was discussing the R2-D2 unit. He was also discussing whether or not there was GPS. Why not GPS? Eddie, this is as thorough a covering of it as I think we can get. Hey, Eddie, R2-D2 did have a GPS. It's called the restraining bolt that they tore off of him. Not only that. But you're looking at Tatooine that doesn't even have any satellites. It's like a polar planet. You need satellites for GPS, brother. Bye. Incorrect. Incorrect. Incorrect. Incorrect. Now, Sean, back me up on this. The restraining bolt was to make R2 not be able to maneuver. It has nothing to do with GPS. Well, I think it's right in the name. Yeah, exactly. It makes him not be able to move. There's no GPS in there. Nothing like that. Exactly. And what makes you think that Tatooine...
does not have the technology to put up satellites. There's tons of technology. I know. If you think about it, Mos Eisley is on Tatooine, right? Is he one of the Eisley brothers? Absolutely. I think he's one of the Eisley brothers. So how did the spacecraft come in and out of there? All willy-nilly? That's a good explanation. It explains it. Like Uncle Owen can just run his crops. And not have satellite. Thank you. Give me a break, right? Case closed. Really wish I would have seen this movie. Hey, what's up, Mike? It's T1 Fancy. Hey, quick joke. What do you get when you mix a brown chicken and a brown cow? Brown chicken, brown cow. Late. There it is. That just happened. Did that just go out on the air? Yeah, this message is for Ashley. You sound and you look hot until you laugh and then you just throw it all up. Throw it up? Throw it all up. It's a little harsh.
I mean, I don't know the reason for that. I like it. It's genetic. You should hear my mom. I mean, I don't know. Oh, trust me. I hope you have a good week. It's raining. Oh, wow. I mean, I don't know what you want. Give me a call. I'll know how you're doing. This is down fire. This is down fire. Dude, that is an amazing voice. P1 Robert's on the line. What's up, Robert? What's going on, dude? Robert, is this not working? Hello? Hello? Hello, phone?
Here, check and see if he's on the line. Rabbit. So that I can check and see if all my buttons are pressed. Yes, I'm on the phone. This guy just told us they're predicting 90 degree temperatures this weekend. Crazy. 90 degrees. I mean, it is November, right? Not July. Was it like pouring down here yesterday? Yes. It was when we were driving home. It was weird, too. Yeah, North County, I know, got a lot of rain. Well, I mean, for San Diego, I should say. It would rain for like two seconds and then sunshine. And then like... It was crazy in Escondido. Was it? Crazy rain, yeah. I guess it just depends on where you were. I think so. I don't think it rained at all in La Mesa. 570-1053 is our phone number. You can call about anything you want to right now. It's up to you. Tennessee. The Titans are 9-0. Oh, mama. Mama. Yeah, it was a little different yesterday, too, because their running game did not work, and so Kerry Collins actually had to take the team on his back and throw, and they won. They beat Chicago 21-14. It was pretty impressive, though. And Jeff Fisher, their head coach, talks about the win, 26.
We overcame an awful lot of issues, problems, and things and still found a way to win the football game. I'm just pleased to be able to come in here and find a way to win it. I was just very impressed, again, with both defensive efforts. There it is. Great mustache. He really does have a really strong mustache. Yeah. Okay. I think he would have done well in like 1875, you know? For sure. Working at a saloon or... The Wild West. The Wild West somehow. A piano player perhaps. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. Okay, so Eddie, you are appointed the new general manager of the San Diego Chargers. I've appointed you. I resigned. I've hired you back. I resigned. I understand why you've resigned after only being on the job for two seconds, but I'm offering you a large salary. Please come back. Please come back. Fine. All right, you're back. Now, I'm a crazy guy. I'm a crazy owner, all right? I've hired you. You're my head coach, or my general manager. And what I want you to do, I'm giving you.
A mandate here. Okay. I want you to go find me a new head coach, but you must find me a guy with NFL head coaching experience. How much money do I get to spend? Much as you want. Like $4 million a year. All right. I'll go get Bill Cowher. Yes, Eddie. I like you. Let's do your plan. Let's do your plan. Can we just do your plan? Go hire him. Go get him. Okay. Go get him. Okay. I'll throw all the money I can at him. Because it's going to cost a lot, right? If you want him, it would cost a lot. Well, I mean, the thing about Coward is, you know, he really wants to stay on the East Coast where most of his family lives. They all live in North Carolina. How much will it cost us to move North Carolina here to San Diego? That's a good idea. That would be a good idea. How much would that cost? Floated out in the ocean. Yeah. Mikey, what's the name of that intro song? That's P1 Larry. It's called The Ecstasy of Gold. It's from a movie soundtrack from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Mikey, the Chargers got lucky. Ham's down. That's P1 Andrew, the freight train. That's very true. And I've got to ham it to you. That is absolutely correct. Okay, we're good. Thank you. Mike, P1 King of Veer here. Eddie, I want Brad Childress out, and you want North Turner gone. Let's switch, eh? No.
I don't want Brad Childress either. Is it? Yeah. Let's see. We got a phone call. Oh, that guy that we lost a second. He goes back. P1 Robert, what's up? Hi, guys. So I hit a dead spot in Chula. It's all right. I have a question. I've been married three years now and working a job. You know, I'm not really happy with it and really unsure about my future. I'm untrained, uneducated, blue-collar labor. I joined the Navy and my wife is having a really hard time with it. And I'm worried that... I might have been losing my family over it. Do you think I made too rash a decision? I don't think that any decision that you make job-wise should affect your, you know, wife ever leaving you. You know what I mean? Yeah. Like if you made a mistake, you made a mistake, but you got married and the whole idea is we're married, you know, for better or for worse. The idea isn't, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband? As long as he makes good job decisions and forever and ever, you know, do you? Yes, I do. I agree. She's like freaked out that like, because she didn't grow up in a Navy family. I grew up in a military family. And so I know what it's like. And she's afraid that like, I'm going to be gone 10 months out of the year. And I mean, that might very well happen, but that's not until very, very later down the road. I mean, I still, I mean, I still have to go to basic and, you know, I have to learn everything.
I guess she's just afraid that, like, I join and I'm gone and she'll never see me again. What's the best way to, like, make her understand that, like, I'm doing this for my family, I'm doing this for our daughter, I'm doing this for, you know, bigger reasons, you know? Hey, Sky's got a question for you. Did you not consult her before making this decision? When we started dating Sky many years ago, I was thinking about joining the Navy then. Well, yeah, but just to answer my question, did you consult her before making this decision? I talked to her about it before I made this decision. And she made it clear to you that she did not care for this decision? And she made it very clear that she did not like this decision. Well, you're living with a consequence of her saying, I'm really against this and we shouldn't do this. Now, in my family, this is the way we do it in my family. In my family,
We both have input. And a lot of times my wife tells me something. I go, yeah, yeah, that sounds right. You know, I spend time in it. I spend time and thought and prayer and all that stuff. And then I go, OK, I think that you have a better decision about me. A perfect example of that is what we do with Jake. You know, my wife was against spanking and I was for spanking. And we talked about it. And when we were done talking about it, I spent time praying about it. We both did and everything. I came back. I said, all right, I think you're right on this one. And so we're doing it her way. Now, a lot of times, but I was the one with the executive call. And so a lot of times, we'll both give our input on it. And I say, listen, babe, we got to do it this way. We got to do it a different way than you want it. And I'm sorry, but I think that that's the best choice for our family. A lot of times, man, you come up with these deals where you guys are both really disagreeing on it. The bad thing to do, in just my opinion, all this stuff is just one guy's shot at this. But I kind of think that you got to give them the heads up instead of just, what do you think? Oh, what do I think? And then just boom, you do it. And then they're like blindsided. What just happened? You know what I mean? Yeah. And is that what went down? Like she told you what she thought?
She knew what you thought and then whammo kablammo? Yeah, I told her what I thought. I told her what I wanted to do, my intentions. She told me how she felt. She had a bunch of questions about it. I tried to answer them as best I could, get as much information. I did, like, tons of research on it before I even went down as a recruiter. And, I mean, I feel like if I don't do this, Mike, I think a part of me, like, because I'm really excited about it. I really want to serve and I really want to do this, not just for the... for the job future, but part of me has always wanted to serve. And I feel like if I don't, I might resent her for it. I think that might adversely affect our relationship. Maybe, but now, you know, the same can be said exactly the other way now. I mean, she resents you. There's no doubt about it. And, you know, listen, what's done is done. You can't get out of it now. You're in. And I think that moving forward, I understand. Look at the consequence of it now. The consequence of it is she's telling you, I don't know, I'm going to leave you, blah, blah, which is, that's, I don't agree with. But moving forward, I think the best thing, man, is you guys got to talk and you have to really consider. You can't just say you're considering it, but not really consider it. You really got to consider it. You got to take that stuff into consideration and really hear what she has to say and think about what she has to say.
Does that make sense? Yes, it does. Yeah, man. You really got to think about what each other are wanting and thinking. Yep, yep, yep. Thank you, brother. Appreciate the help, guys. Yeah, dude. So, Sky, what do you think now? What would be the best case scenario? What would be the best things to say and do now? For him to say and do to make good with the wife. I think he needs to apologize up and down for not taking her feelings into consideration and, you know, promise that next time it'll be different. And, you know, he's sorry. He's already committed to this. But he now realizes that this is a marriage. They are a team and they need to make decisions together. Help me. Eddie, what do you think? Well, I agree for the most part. team stuff, but... Is this the word? Partners? Is partners better? Much better. They are partners. Well, there's something a little bit like, hey, we're the gang. Yeah, we're a team. Hey, let's get the gang together. Hey, I'm team captain. That's right. We're co-captains. What do you think of?
First of all, that's not even true. Yeah, I mean, he's pretty much up a lake without a paddle. Or up a creek. Whatever. Either way. There's a lot of water. Sometimes those lakes are long. Hey, man, I would like to not be in either one of those situations. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 570-1053. You can call us. Here's what we got today. Big show. Oh, by the way. I thought you were going golfing with Gary today. Well, I did. And you don't know how he's doing? I never really came up. Did you ask me to ask him that?
You know, I thought maybe you would think to ask him that. I didn't think of that. Well, is he dating anyone? How would I know something like that? You were in the same golf cart? You were in the same golf cart for four hours, and you don't know if he's dating anyone? I know he's got a new driver. I love the Mikey show. You guys are awesome. I like that every day. However, we do have that jackknife bakery coming out of Lake Elsinore down towards Murrieta South 15 at Bundy Canyon block in the two right lanes.
Traffic is just a mess, but a big backup behind that. The far left lane is open, but traffic's squeezing by very, very slowly. You're being advised to avoid it for good reason. Once you get past that, South 15's got the usual stuff out of Escondido from the 78th end of your Rancho Parkway. We've got the Southwest out of the 5 looking good down the North County shoreline, just a minor delay near Manchester. Beyonce says that she's in talks with DC Comics and Warner Brothers to play Wonder Woman. The Colts pick off Ben Roethlisberger three times and score late to beat the Steelers 24-20. Roethlisberger talks about losing the game. It hurts because, you know, you never hear me say I anything, but, you know, I lost this game. And it hurts and, you know, we'll learn. Leads me into this text message to you. It says Oracle.
Yeah, I really thought those Chargers were awesome yesterday. Hey, how do you see them having any trouble going to Pittsburgh and facing that number one defense in the league? That's P1 Corey. It just gets easier is what he said. Well said. It's easier. Just a couple games. Steelers, Colts. This text message says, Oracle, what's up with LT? Is he going to rush for 100 yards during a game this season? That's P1. Can't do it. Well, why don't you ask what's wrong with the offensive line? You can't run through no holes. I mean, offensive line was terrible yesterday. Can't do it. I think LT looks great. I thought he looked awesome yesterday, but he has no room to run. And they're running a very vanilla running game, too. They're not doing things that I, you know, I see other teams running a lot of draws and kind of trick runs and things like that. And we have no creativity in our run game. So that's a big problem, too.
Eddie might be over North Turner. You can say that. Oh, wow. Hey, Mikey, I was at the Arco gas station in La Mesa this morning and a guy, in quotations, just drove off with the gas pump still attached to his car. He says, I guess it's moon day. This text message says, hey, Mikey, for that guy that just called in that's in the scrap with his wife, let him know it's not too late for that guy. to get out if he hasn't gone to BASIC yet. P1, King of E. I don't know if that's true. If you haven't gone to BASIC, you're allowed to get out? I thought once you signed, you're done. You're in. I thought so, too. It's a done deal. Today's a birthday of the United States Marine Corps. I forget how old they are, but happy birthday. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. I'll tell you what. Those Charger uniforms look cool.
I'll tell you that. I like them. Yeah, they do. I think they look good. That's nice. There's always a bright side. Yeah. Nice looking uniforms. When they're out there, they're snazzy, man. Sharp. That is the goal. The goal of a football game is to look snazzy. Isn't that the deal? I think so. I thought that was the deal. That's what you guys play in fantasy football, who look snazzier, right? Absolutely. Good. So you got to start the guy you just think will do the snazziest. Nice. Sean had a really weird thing happen to him and his wife when he was driving home from work. Sean, tell everybody about it. It was really crazy. So we're driving down the freeway, heading home, like 7.30 or so at night, and just driving along. Dina's driving. I'm in the passenger seat. And all of a sudden, her window right next to her just explodes. Whoa. So weird. It, like, shatters into a million pieces. You know, it's tempered glass, so it really breaks up into those teeny tiny little pieces. But it went all over her, all over me, all inside the car. But we have no idea how it happened, what caused it to happen. Nothing came into the car. I actually looked around for, like, bullet holes. Oh, wow. I had no idea, you know.
Do you think it was a rock that got kicked up? That's my guess, is that because there were a few cars in front of us. One of them was a big truck. And my thought is something either fell out or got kicked up by the tires. And, you know, just came right alongside our car, hit the window, but glanced off of it as it broke. Right. Because nothing, again, came into the car. Yeah. It was really, really scary. I would freak out. Freaked out. Did you guys pull over or just go? We were so close to the house that we actually didn't pull over. We just went home. And so we drove like that for about 10 minutes. It was really cold. And then when we got home, we checked everything out. But we found some really cool guys on the Internet, and they replaced our window the very next day. What a trip. Dude, it was like the weirdest, scariest thing. That would freak me out. Yeah. Skye, how long did you ever end up meeting Maynard from Tool? Oh, Friday night? Yeah. Yeah. You get some of his wine? Oh, yeah. So how do you work it? Do you get to meet him if you don't get the wine or you get to meet him no matter what? No, yeah. You had to buy wine to be, you know, in the signing. Sweetberry wine!
Maynard from Tule has a winery, and so he's been doing these wine signing events, and Friday night was one in La Jolla, and I waited in line for almost four hours. What? Yeah, and people kept coming up to me going, don't you work for the radio station? Like, don't you know something? No. Well, we don't. I thought they were going to bring you in. Yeah, that's what I thought, too. Why? Well, because Shauna said, you know, get there an hour early and, you know, our sales guy who's in charge of the account, he will, you know, let you in because we know you've been up since 3.30 in the morning and let you in to get this done real quick. You know, you can get pictures for the website, maybe an interview. It'll be great. You can put it on your blog. Cool, cool, cool. Get there an hour early, meet up with our sales guy, ZZ, and he hands me a number. And the number says something like, 360 and i said what what's this and he says oh this is your spot in line you're the 360th person didn't you say and i said oh because shauna said and he's like yeah no no so no pictures like i was basically you know just like anybody else who showed up that uh evening and so i waited for about four hours in line and uh finally got inside and got my wine autographed and uh yeah
It was really cool. I have to give props to Whole Foods. I had no idea how they were going to make... I mean, because about 1,000 people showed up. Oh, wow. Yeah, about 1,000 people showed up. So they ran out of numbers at I think like 800 or something. Oh, man. They ran out of numbers. Did you get an autograph at least? Yeah, yeah. What would he do? Autograph the wine bottle? Yeah, yeah. And that was it. Like, no bringing albums or guitars and no pictures. And security was really tight. Just wine. Just wine. What did you guys talk about? Well, I mean, you can't really talk. We talked about the deep tannins in the wine. No, it was kind of like, you know. The sweet berries. The security was crazy. They had dudes with, like, guns out there. And yeah, they had dudes with guns with guns. And then like once you find not the president and finally once you like got to the table, it was him and his partner in the wine business at the table. But like standing right in the middle of the table where you are to stand. Yeah. Is like another security guy. So you couldn't touch them. You couldn't take pictures. No cell phones. No cameras. No. Yeah. And so.
Basically, they just signed their initials on whatever wine bottles you bought. Maynard, please take this album of the Boo Donkey. Yes, please. It's their demo. They're great. Check them out. Listen to it. But, I mean, he was really cool, and, you know, we were really excited, you know. What does he look like? Yeah. Oh, I was thinking that because I was listening to the spot, and I've never gone and, like, you could Google it easy, and I've never done it. Yeah. He reminds me of Moby. Oh, really? Oh, man, disappointment. Yeah, that totally blew my image of what he looked like. I pictured him with big angel wings. Angel wings. I mean, dude is crazy. I thought he looked like a hammer all these years. Now I have to Google it. Did that just find you a picture? Yes, you did. How do you think of my Moby analogy? Is it close? What do you think? I think you're right. White, bald dude, just kind of a little nerdy looking. It's like powder. Yeah, very, very white. I imagine him more like the lead singer of the Blue Donkeys. Yeah, for sure. Nobody's that sexy. He was nice. I mean, you know, he just kind of said hi. I thanked him for coming out. He was like, oh, no problem. And, you know, the boo was like.
You know, geeking out everywhere because Tool's like his favorite of all time. So he was like, wow, you brought Eddie Vedder. Can I get a picture with you? Oh, Vincent Chase. That's right. Come on. Can we get a picture? Met a lot of cool P1s out there in my four hours of hanging out and waiting. So got to hang out with a lot of cool P1s. What time did you get there? We got there at 4 o'clock. It was to start at 5. Did you say eight? Yeah, we like walked out of Whole Foods at eight. Oh, my. Yeah. That's crazy. A trip. I guess that's just how long it takes, man. Yeah. Whole Foods is awesome, though. Oh, do they? I could kill four hours in there. Yeah, but they were cool. They were handing out like appetizers in the parking lot. Were they good? I didn't have any, but yeah, there were. A Ritz cracker with chopped liver? No. No, little gourmet pizza things. That's a Ritz cracker and chopped liver. Why did you not have any? What's up, Mike? Well said. Quick time out. Text us, 35253, or call us, 570-1053. And don't forget, you can leave comments for us on our P1 answering machine, 858-715-1923.
I took a couple pictures outside Whole Foods of the whole debacle, and I put those on my blog. You did? So you can see those on my blog. I want to see. You can check out Sky's blog and all of the Mikey Show blogs at MikeyShow.com. Just type in the keyword blogs, and you're good to go. When we come back, we'll ask Sean Merriman, what's up? What's a P1? P1 is someone that turns down their radio, they get to the point, they don't cuss, and they listen to the Mikey Show exclusive. That is correct. I love the P1 Army. The Mikey Show. That's Kanye. It's called Heartless. Number one downloaded song on iTunes at the moment. 5701053 is our phone number. It is 7 o'clock. Up to 10,000 people marched in Hillcrest over the weekend to protest the passage of Prop 8. Chargers beat the Chiefs 20-19 after the Chiefs missed a two-point conversion for the win. Norv Turner says the guys responded to adversity.
We've had adversity through this year, and some of it we've brought on ourselves. Some of it's been brought on by things we can't control. But each time we've had that adversity, our guys have responded. And, you know, they want what everyone in this town wants. They want to win. We want to have a heck of a football team, and we're working towards that. I can't wait to talk to Sean. It's Sean Merriman. Hi, Sean. Hey, what's going on, man? How you doing? Dude, let me tell you something. As a fan of the Chargers, I... Every week that we get to talk to you, I feel really lucky because I get to do what a lot of Charger fans don't get to do. I get to talk to a guy that's actually on the team, not only on the team, but an impactful player when you're playing. Yeah. Because right now you're injured. You had surgery, and so it's healing up and everything. But when you're on the team, man, it sure does seem like a different defense and everything. Yeah. I'm really stoked to get to talk to you every week because I just, as a fan, I'm like,
I'm scratching my head trying to make sense of it. Chargers win. Chargers win. 20-19. Thank goodness that those goofy Chiefs missed that extra point. Two-point conversion, yeah. You know what I mean? The two-point conversion. Thank goodness. And also the, what were they, trying to make a field goal, Eddie? Extra point, yeah. Extra point. You know, that got all goofed up. But did you watch the game from the sidelines, Sean? Yeah, I was there. I was there on the sideline. What are you seeing on the sideline that may be different from what we're seeing on television or sitting in the stands? What are your thoughts in your head? Well, I think it's just like our morale and how we're carrying ourselves right now. Right now, we're wanting no start on the road to turn things back around. And we've got to go out and get the next win. And that's what it comes down to. Eddie.
Yeah, Sean, I mean, you know, obviously the most important thing is to get in the W. That's all that really matters. But you have to understand, you know, as Charger fans watching this Charger team, who has just tons and tons of all-pro players, struggle mightily against a team with a third-string quarterback, a fourth-string running back, and just a shell of a football team in the Chiefs. You know, what can you tell us to make us feel better about, you know, it's a win, but I think all of the Charger, All of San Diego are feeling a little weird about this victory. Well, I think in that case, whenever you look at a team like the Chiefs, you're automatically expecting, as a fan, looking from the outside in, to go in and beat those guys 40-19 or something like that. You know, it's the National Football League, and you're just happy to get a win, period. And you're going to have some games like that. In the past, we've lost against the Chiefs last year. Regardless of our record last year, we lost against them at home. I think last year. So they just always had the formula to create some good things against us. And it's a game of matchups. People wonder why we beat the Colts year in and year out, no matter how good they are. Even when they were undefeated, we go and beat them. It's just a game of matchups. And they did some things against us yesterday that we're not really good at covering right now. Now, I was at the game yesterday. Excuse me. Hello.
In general, I usually get to go to about one game a season where I'm actually there. Yesterday, I'm there. And I lean over to my wife before the game starts. And I say, hon, I said, I think today this defense is going to be on fire. She says, why? I said, because of this whole Ron Rivera thing. He's the new defensive coordinator. And I said, when he was in Chicago, it was a 4-3. It wasn't a 3-4 defense. But they were a very aggressive defense. And so I said, I think that he's going to make this a very aggressive defense. And I don't know that it was only one sack yesterday. And at one point they were given a stat and they were saying it had been something like 14 quarters or something like that since there had actually been a sack. What is it, Sean? You know what? Ron can coach as much as he wants to. Ted can coach. Yes, Ron will put us in a better position, I think, now. Is it the same?
Defensive philosophy that was used under Ted Cattrall, or did Ron Rivera... Not as quite. Not as quite. We opened it up, the playbook, a little bit more. And it kind of went back to what we're good at doing. And that's rushing the pass and moving around a little bit. And you've got to also remember that whenever a playbook can be open, it's partly due because we're not up enough in the game. If it's still a 13-6 game or whatever it was at the time. So it's kind of hard for us to open up the playbook and run to Blitz and do things like that because you don't want to create a situation where you try to get too fast and call Blitz and they hit us for a home run. Yeah. But it is Tyler Thigpen we're talking about here. I mean, that's why I'm scratching my head. I'm just going, hey, you know, he opened up the playbook a little bit. Get back to what you guys do best. You mean future Hall of Famer Tyler Thigpen. I don't think he is. Really? I don't think he is a future Hall of Famer. I don't think he is. But I'll tell you what, man. Sometimes I just want to go. I want Sean Merriman to get in these guys and say, you know, and I can't wait for your knee to feel better because you've got to figure if number 56 is on the field, it's going to look different defensively. And are you thinking that, Sean, while you're there? Are you just kind of like, you know, biting your, you know, biting your, I don't know, what would you bite? Your lip. Your lip or whatever. Your elbows.
I look back and I really see it. And I say, look, there's guys on that field that can play, period. They don't absolutely need me to be out there. But I know what I bring to the game. I know what I can do. I talk to all the coordinators after every game. And I know how much they change that playbook when I'm in there. But we have the guys in there to make plays and do it. And there's no reason with me being there or not for us to be performing like that because we're better than that. We're better than that, and we're not showing it right now. We need to, regardless of whether I'm there or not. Eddie. Yeah, I mean, Sean, it is apparent that this defense does need you. Hopefully, A.J. Smith is seeing that. Are you going to talk contract anytime soon? Where are we at as far as your contract status with this team? You know how I look at it. I always go into a situation where you control what you control. That's right. That part of it is totally, I never think of it. I'll never even be a player that walks around pissed off that I don't get a new deal, ever. I know what I'm worth. I know what I can do. And to me, it's not about that at all. I've been out there and I've shown it for the past three years I've been playing football. And I'll continue to show it regardless of the situation. And whenever that happens, it happens.
I was told through a newspaper, I don't know if you remember that after 0-9 season, I won't be there. That's what it was said. Whether that's true or not, I really don't know, and I really don't care. But my job is while I'm here playing and on this team, I'm still with this team, and I've got to do everything possible to get a ring. It's crazy, though, Sean. Priorities change, obviously. If the Chargers thought, oh, we can get by without... Sean Merriman, we can sign Giles Tucker to a contract. We can do these things. They're crazy. I mean, it is, what are we, eight, nine games into the season? I mean, it is apparent we have to have 56 on that field. I mean, you've got to be a top priority for this team. It's absolutely insane that they're even considering not signing you. Well, I think as of right now, if we get on a nice winning streak, which we have in the past, we still have opportunities, especially in this division. And fortunately, no matter what happens early on in the season, we always have a chance to get off in the playoffs. And then that's where the game, that's where it starts. You know, you do enough to get your foot in the playoffs, and then you go from there. So if we continue to get better, you know, the offense is going to do their thing, and we need to get better on defense to get it there, because that's the most important thing.
structured kind of defense that the Chargers run. Like, it requires a lot of discipline to be in a certain place and to stay on an assignment. Is that true, Sean, or is it more of a making adjustments on the fly and sort of playing it by ear? Which is it? Which kind of defense is it? It's being in the right position, exactly what the players call. Everybody has a job to do, and if you do it, the defense will function right. Now, when it comes time to make the plays, you know, if a quarterback messes up and underthrow a ball or if he steps up in the pocket too fast, we should get a sack. When those things happen, that's when you've got to make your plays. But everyone has a job. Everyone has a mission to go out there and accomplish, and you have to do it. And if all those things, all those pieces of puzzle connect and go right. then we should win on every play that happens. Hey, how's your knee feeling right now? Actually, I'll be running in three weeks. You'll be running in three weeks? You go, boy. Are you for real? You're going to be running in three weeks? I'll get back to jogging and everything in three weeks. So right now, do you walk around on this thing without the use of crutches or any kind of brace, or do you have a brace on it? What does it look like?
Yeah, I have a Don Joy brace, the same one that I played in during last season. Okay, so you wear this brace all the time. That's what you're walking around in. But you can walk and everything without crutches. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I've been off crutches for a few weeks now. I've been getting back into cardio. I'll start back working with the team real soon. So, I mean, I'm looking great, man. I'm really blessed in my situation to get it done when I got it done and get ready again. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, when training camp starts in 09, I have a feeling you're going to be a completely and totally different guy. Are you able to lift weight on that knee? Yeah, I started last week. How much? We're doing a lot of leg extensions, and I can put weight on it doing light squats, stuff like that. Now, I look and feel good right now, so it's a blessing, really. That's cool. Have you tried a lights-out dance yet? Yes. Have you tested the dance on it? Be careful. Yes, please. I haven't taken that far yet, but I will pretty soon, though. Okay, good. Dude, I can't wait to see you back on the field next year. I really can't, and it does make a difference. I mean, the guy makes a difference, and Eddie's right. You know, Eddie was bringing up this point last week of, like, hey.
This team was built to play this defense, 3-4. The players were drafted to play this position. If there's ever been proof of that, it's Sean Merriman. He was drafted to play that kind of linebacker and that kind of defense. And you see what happens when you take that player out of it. And he's saying, too, these players got to make some plays. So what's up, Sean? You think this is going to turn things around? You're going to Pittsburgh next week. Tough place to play. Tough team. Tough defense. What do you think? Yeah, I think this is the best time to do it. Right now we got one win to head towards winning four or five games straight, and we have to look at it like that and go out and get a win at Pittsburgh. I guess it's going to be a tough environment. It's one of the toughest places to play in football, and there's no better way to show what we want as a team and what direction we're going to head in in order to go for the future. There you go. So we get to find out, you know, we have people call us, tell us what they're all freaked out about over the weekend, and then we check in with them on Monday and see how it went. We talk to Alex.
last Friday, and here's what he said. I want to ask my girlfriend's father for her permission to marry her. The only thing is, this guy scared the crap out of me. Most dads do. He's ex-military, he's huge, and it's like perfection down the line kind of thing, and her sister, her sister's boyfriend asked him, and he said no. So that dude right there is holding on the line right now. His name is P1 Alex, and he was going to get together. Didn't he say he was going to wear a suit? Oh, yeah. He was going all out. He bought a new suit. He put his portfolio together. Smart. His resume. Yeah, the whole thing. And then he was going to ask the dad, hey, can I marry your daughter? P1 Alex, you there? Yeah, I'm here. And it said it there in the clip, but her sister? The sister of the boyfriend asked him what? He said no? He said no. He said no. So talk to us, Alex. What happened? Well, I'm still nervous. It's over already. I took him to dinner. I took him to dinner. And I wore a suit. Like I told you, I met him at the restaurant.
And I wore a suit, and I had a briefcase with me with my portfolio and everything. And one of you guys said, you should do a PowerPoint presentation. So I did one. Nice. And I had it in my laptop inside my briefcase. I was not joking about that. Rob was totally joking when he said that. Wow. I highly recommend that with anyone. Show us he's a professional. Dude, you took... Wait, wait, wait, wait. You took your laptop? Yeah, it was in my briefcase. Wow. Oh, my gosh. Never heard of that in my life. Did he take a picture of you and a picture of her and then show him what his grandbabies could look like? Oh, that's smart. They have this great program. I think it's at Dave & Buster's. Yeah, Dave & Buster's, they do that real well. Yeah, so. Wish you suggested that on Friday. Sorry. So, what did he say? But I had all these great pictures of she and I having fun and, you know, stuff that we've done and all that stuff, right? The whole thing. Oh, dude. Now I'm weirded out. I'm weirded out. I'm sorry. I'm weirded out. I know. You know, yeah, I was freaking out. So, okay. A little overkill. So, anyway, so I took him to dinner. Yeah. And the whole time, right, I mean, how do you talk to somebody that you're scared to death of for one?
We have to wait for a table for about 20 minutes. So we're in the bar, and I'm drinking a diet soda because I don't want to order a beer, which I really, really want. Of course. Yeah. So we finally sit down at the table, and he just kind of looks at me and says, what do you want? And I'm like, oh, my God. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Time out. Does he not like you? No, it's not that. I think he saw me coming a million miles away. Of course. Of course he sees what's coming. No, what do you want? It seems a little harsh. Harsh? Yeah, you be sitting there and you tell me how harsh it seems. Oh, my God. So, I said, well, I, you know, I said, oh. Let me break out my computer and... Yes, sir. Could you just wait for me to power up here just a moment? They're an outlet anyway. Just leave your mashed potatoes aside. Yeah, let's just put the corn here. Yeah, can you... I'm sorry. Can you move your glasses? Garcon, can I have a wet nap? And a power strip. Power strip and a wet nap, please. Make it a double. And...
I'm glad you guys are having fun. Oh, we're having a blast. Okay, great. Glad it wasn't me. So I kind of check it out, and I say, look, never mind, forget it. He goes, no, you asked me here for a reason. What's going on? And I said, well, and I popped the two things on my briefcase. And he's like, what are you doing? I said, I just have a few things I want to show you. He's like, just tell me why we're here. Oh, God. At that point, he may think you're trying to hit him up for money. Yeah, I got a business proposal or something. Right? You should have done that, too. You made it much more uncomfortable than it even had to be. Yeah, you really did. You really did. Oh, my God. Well, I'm in a suit and a tie, you know, which, so anyway, so I said, well, I asked you here because, you know, I want to ask you for Debbie's hand in marriage. And he just looks at me. Doesn't say a word. You know, it's that old salesman trick where the first guy that talks is the one who's going to buy. Sure. And he just looks at me. And I'm like, so I just want to ask for a hand in marriage. And he's looking at me. Yeah. And I'm just like, my God. I'm freaking out. So the waitress comes by right at that moment and says, well, can I get you a drink before dinner? And I was like, yes, I need a beer right now. I said, I just can't deal.
He's like, yes, we'll both have a beer. We're celebrating. I was like, oh, my God. Oh. Okay. Okay. Wow. I was like, oh. And he's like, I'm just messing with you. I'm actually. Are you kidding me? I'm actually surprised. I'm surprised because I think it's weird, the PowerPoint presentation that Rob joked about. Oh, no, no. He never saw that. Yeah. Oh, no. Oh, you didn't power up? He had prepared it. But he didn't have to. I can barely get my briefcase open. Oh, right, right, right. Oh, I wish it could have been videotaped. So weird. It's all so strange. So you're getting married. Congratulations. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, yeah. When are you going to propose? Yeah, yeah. Oh, no, no, no. I proposed Saturday night. Oh, right after. Oh, no, no. I was ready. I was loaded. I was in a suit, man. I was in a suit. Don't want that new suit to go to waste. So weird. I hope the Amstel light breath didn't throw her off at all. No kidding. Are you kidding me? I went home and took a shower, got dressed back in the same suit, and then went and saw her. I was so freaking nervous. You're a mess. You are a mess. A little bit of a mess. Oh, my gosh. Congrats. Congrats, Alex. You're getting married. Invite us to the wedding.
And you're an oddball. I want to go. Congratulations. Will there be a PowerPoint? Thank you, Alex. I want to see the PowerPoint. It's a little much for me. Oh, I just hung up, but I would have asked him, like, what song did you use for your PowerPoint presentation? Dude, what up? That is awesome. You guys remember talking to P1 Alexa on Friday? This week, I just found out that my 17-year-old sister is pregnant with her second baby. Oh, my. My boyfriend might go to jail. Okay. So, Alexa, are you there? Yeah. The sister was possibly pregnant or was pregnant? She was. She was? Actually, yeah. And what about your boyfriend? Did he go to jail? I still don't know what's up with that, but my sister this weekend told my parents, so that was just kind of the big one. How did that go over? Well, it didn't go as bad as the first time because they, well, you know, like everything happens afterwards and my mom was like, oh, well, there was signs. But I guess she's moving out with her boyfriend. Wow. And is your boyfriend still in hiding? Well, not hiding, Skye, because technically she wasn't sure if her boyfriend had done anything wrong. Oh, no. I think that answered that question.
Um, comma, hello. I'm not getting good reception down here in South America. Whoa, that was weird. Some reason I only got one bar here in Buenos Aires. I am you from one of the 23 computers we have. This was P1 Sam on Friday. For the first time in how long? Guy went to the dentist for the first time in 10 years. Hello, P1 Grody Mom. How did it go? Hello? You toothless wonder. He's not there. What happened? I don't know. I want to find out how it went. Hey, man, all I know is that they can now, Eddie went to it. They'll put you out. Oh, yeah. I didn't know that. Sleep dentistry. That's great. Yeah, they should do that for everybody. Please.
That'd be nice. 5701053 is our phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show, but I'm going to make a concession and you can call us now. Boston Rob wrote in his yesterday email that his cable box broke on Friday night. Everything that he had DVR'd is gone. Sorry, I'm so sorry. Is that your worst nightmare, Sky? Yeah, it is. I don't know how it happened. There's this new show. Friday nights at 9 o'clock that I watch. It's called Fry Your Cable Box. That's the name of the show. It's called Ghost Adventures. Yeah. And we record stuff and then like 10, 15 minutes into it, we'll start watching it so we can just fast forward through all the commercials. Right. And it wouldn't let us start the program. And then like an hour later, we were watching something else and it kept showing that it was still recording it. Even though it was like over. So I knew something was jammed. So I went to reboot it. I rebooted it. And it kept showing that it was just recording this one program. So I'm such an idiot because I keep tinkering with things, you know, like electrical. And I'm like, you know, I was like, you shouldn't tinker. Give me a toothpick. I'm going to see. No tinkering. Go get me my hammer.
You are no MacGruber. Stop it, MacGruber. And then I just unplugged it and left it off. The next day, I tried plugging it back in, and it's done. It's toast. I've had it for a while, though. This is the same cable box for like three years or something. Rob can't afford to go Christmas shopping, so on Saturday he went Christmas window shopping, which is fun. It's very similar to window shopping. It's not fun at all, but I want to get it done early this year. Usually it's like December 23rd, and I'm... Out at the mall. When you do your window shopping. The mall. The mall. The mall. Where did you go? Which mall? I went to the mall. Which one? Fashion Valley. Yeah, I was there. That place is a zoo. No, I heard it's real easy to get in and get out. You just stop by. You leave real easily. I mean, seriously, it's what, November 7th, something like that? Yeah. It was like it was December 23rd. Yeah. I mean, there was no parking. No parking. It took me 20 minutes to get out of Fashion Valley. 20 minutes. That's disgusting. That's bad. It was like leaving a Chargers game. It was crazy. What is up with their parking situation? They only have a couple ways to get out of that place. They have eight spots. Is that the deal? Build a garage way up in the sky. It's crazy. Dude, for real. I hate that place. Eddie said getting out of there was like leaving a sporting event. It was. Or like a concert. Or a concert.
Can you imagine that? Brutal. That's bad. And that's if you can find parking. Yeah, good luck. Yeah. Let's see. P1 Elizabeth called us. She was one of our weekend worry wart people. Oh, wait a minute. I'm sorry. P1 Yosemite Samantha was her name. I'm kind of starting to see this guy at work. We just started talking, and the other night we had a really interesting conversation, and he was going to come over to my house this weekend. But then my co-worker decided to walk up to him at work and ask him what he thought about me. And he kind of flipped out and said that's not appropriate for work and got kind of angry with me even though I didn't do anything. So the co-worker may have soiled the water. You ever like some girl at work or something and then you tell somebody and the dude that you tell.
is like seven years old, and he says to her, hey, guess what that knows? Kind of messes it all up. Well, this, Samantha's on the line. Yosemite Samantha. Okay, no, she isn't. What is up with our phones today? I don't know. Haha, got ya. I don't know, but I want to talk to her because she was going to kind of, you know, hey, what's up, dude? Because he was, everything was cool. Yeah. He was like kind of going, as she put it, he was like hot and heavy into the relationship and then nada. You there, Samantha? We got her now. Hi. Hi. Hi. Turn your radio down. Okay. Got it. There you go. So, Samantha, did anything happen with this dude over the weekend? Well, I wish I had something interesting to report to you, but the only thing that happened was on Friday, he finally acknowledged my existence. How? In a friendly hello and a head shake. So, no phone calls, no nothing? Nothing. I don't get that. I don't either. If I were you, this would be turning me off. I would have no interest in even talking to him. That's crazy! He sounds like he's crazy. It does sound a little crazy. I would be stoked to know if a chick liked me. I'd be like, oh, cool. Especially if you liked the girl.
Well, he even said, he's like, maybe I'm overreacting, but I just don't like it when this kind of thing happens. What did you do? You didn't do anything wrong. Thank you, exactly. Thank you. Yeah, you're better off. Drop him. You're better off. He's got a wife and kids in Florida. In Florida? I don't know about that. That's what I heard. I never heard that. Wow. It's always freaking out. It's a rumor going around. That is shocking. It's true. It's what I heard. I'm on a rock! And move on. 5-7-8-105. Our text number is 35253. Call us right now at 570-1053 or text us at 35253. With you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. We've got a few brake lights getting a little bit heavier on our freeways here this morning. We've got the South 15 situation here coming out of Lake Elsinore. Down towards Murrieta, that jackknife big rig black in the two right lanes because of a major mess behind that. The far left lane is open with traffic squeezing through. But in the meantime, you're being advised to avoid it for good reason there. Farther south on that 15, you'll find the usual backup out of Escondido now off the 78th of your Rancho Parkway. This coaster ride is picking up some slow traffic down on the South 5, still out of Lucadia. And that continues with you down into Solana Beach. Coming up the hill on the westbound 52 out of Santee. That's pretty jammed up off the 125 up towards that Mission Trail summit. Eight's looking good into the valley. The 94 is still cooperating in the downtown. 805 northbound, though, jammed up out of the south bay from Plaza Boulevard up to 47th Street. And now you've got an accident right near Balbal, which is adding the slow traffic out of Kearney Mesa past that crash up to Governor Drive. And then you're back up to speed there. Dude, this guy's as smooth as Rick Astley, and that's smooth. Thank you. This song is sick. Are you guys being serious? I'm being 100% serious. I am too. Ashley's 25. Rob's 25. He's hurting me, right? He's hurting me. Eddie just gave me a look so annoying. What happened? He gave me a look. Eddie just gave me a look. That was great. Here's what that look said. What happened? Here's what Eddie's look right now said to me. It said, dude, I've known you 20 years. Yeah. No. And every once in a while, Mike, you don't call it. And this is one of those. Not only is dude making fun of you. I don't like to see you get hurt. You asked Seth. Who told him to put this song up today? Seth, did Rob tell you to? Yep. I like this song. Now I'm trying. I think everyone owes Rob an apology. Hang on a second. Now I'm thinking, was Rob looking through the system and said, oh, this would be a funny one to make fun of Mike at? He probably liked this in high school. Came on the radio last night. I think he thinks it's kind of cheesy. Wanted to hear it. Thank you. Get your reaction. Thank you. And then bust my chops. Wow. That's how he is. They really don't know you, Rob. Rob, you are so transparent. Sky, you're the only one that knows you. Oh, wow. Sky is the only one that knows Boston Rob.
She's got her Rob goggles on. That's right. She sees life through Rob-colored glasses. It's 742. A dozen cars were vandalized with racial slurs in Claremont early Saturday morning. The Giants and Eagles slug it out in an NFC East battle with the defending Super Bowl champs winning 36-31 last night. Tom Coughlin talks about the win. I think we've pretty much been battle-tested. We did win on the road last year. Obviously, it's great to come over here and win. It means a lot to us, and it reinforces everything we believe in about team and supporting each other and battling and finding somehow a way to win the game. So it provides a really good feeling of confidence for us. Are they going back to the Super Bowl, do you think, Eddie? If you were to ask me right now, I think they're the best team in the NFC, for sure, and Tennessee in the AFC. Let's do this now. You ready? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just like you guys here in the studio, I'm sure my wife's flipping out. Yeah. Let me tell you. Bust out. I can't wait. Is it tomorrow? Is it tomorrow? When is it? Skype. When is it? When is it? We have an official date. When's Lost coming back? Early. Lost will be returning to television on Wednesday, January the 21st.
That's like two months ago. Yeah, they have just announced it. It will be a three-hour premiere. Oh, mama. Oh, mama. Which will be an hour recap of the first four seasons and then two hours of new lost goodness. I'll take it. Delicious. Mark your calendars. An hour of recap. Of the first four seasons from beginning to where they're at now. Perfect. There you go, Mike. This way. Come on, Mike. This time. This is the year. Don't mess with us, bro. You won't watch it. I know. It's perfect. I can get caught up now through the seasons that I've missed. Don't act like this. Don't act like this. This is your chance. My wife, genuine. I mean, she was not kidding. She was not joking around. Like, she was genuine. She said it would help our marriage. I believe that's true. I go, we have a good marriage. She goes, I know, but it will make it better. You know that. We'll have more in common, shared interests. Yeah, it has the power to do that. Last season was as good as the first. That's what she said. It was awesome. This is your chance. She said it was as good as the first one, which was fantastic. Get in on this. Yeah. Come on. TV show lost. Come on, Mike. All right. Getting off the island. We're getting off the island, bro. Please, be part of our club. Yeah. Let's go back. Oh, no. No.
Not J.J. Abrams knows what he's doing. Some of the text messages that we're getting at 35253. Mikey, this is P1 Bridge. When my fiancé asked my father for permission to marry me, my dad came down in his old fatigues from the Gulf War and my bro's airsoft gun. That's pretty awesome. Awesome! hard enough. I know. That's brutal. Mikey, you better be catching up on the old Lost episodes. We all know you're Lost when it comes to Lost. Thank you. Best show on TV. That's a P1 Lost fan. Get the DVDs. Yeah, Mike. It's true, man. Eddie and Sky love Lost and so does my wife. Shauna and Ashley think we're in on it too, right? You guys in? You guys watch it too? Yeah, and that's what I'm telling you, Mike. Watch that. You know, recap. You can jump right back in because I missed
The season before last, but I jumped back in last season. And you can get back on the bandwagon. Big time. Yeah, big time. Big time. Ashley said yesterday from her yesterday email that all she did yesterday. And it's all in caps. Because she doesn't write in caps. And when she does, she means it. Oh, yeah. She said all she did yesterday was eat, eat, eat, football, eat, football, eat, eat, eat, football. And then she went over to her friend's house and then ate again. Oh. It was disgusting. Mommy was hungry. No, I mean, it was like to the point of gross. She's skinny. Gross. Yeah, she's in great shape. She walks a lot. And yoga, a lot. And yoga. And sweats. She sweats a lot. Sweating helps. Eats and sweats like a pig. Yeah, generally 12 pounds through the pits a day. 12 pounds through the pits a day. Ash, I don't know about that. Showing us that. The pits. That hurts. I think I might have to stop. It hurts my feelings. eating garlic, you guys. Oh, no. Ew. Can I tell you what? That's a fine. Should I hit the button? May I please? Dump out of it. It's horrible. May I please? Don't eat it, garlic. I learned over the weekend. Can I?
Can I share? No. Yeah, yeah. It's a safe place for friends. Can I express myself? I am not feeling safe. I'm feeling like it might hurt. Can I please? Yes. So I was freaking hanging out this weekend with my friend Christy and Merritt, and she told me. Merritt. Merritt. Okay. Merritt. Merritt. My friend Christy. Merritt. Merritt. Merritt. Merritt. Merritt. Merritt. Merritt. Is Merritt lost? So I was talking to my friend Christy and she told me because I was telling her how I sweat and she said she sweats a lot too. And I was like, yeah, you know, the worst is when you wear like a white t-shirt like I am today. And then when the sweat dries and it like stains your white t-shirt yellow and you're like screwed. Like you have to throw it away. Like I've never heard one person get that stain out. Can I finish? So my friend Christy tells me. What about Merit? Merit. Merit. Merit. Merit. Merit. Not Merit. Christy. Merit.
She tells me the reason why it turns yellow and stains like that is from garlic. And so to prevent me... It's like goofballs talking to the goofballs, right? The inmates are running the asylum. Mike, can somebody... Sky just gave me a look like, you're hearing this, right? You can hear it, right? This is on the radio. Why is that so weird? I can't breathe. What's the problem? You mean she did some sort of scientific study? She found out. It's only garlic that stains it yellow underneath. Why do you say things? I'm not going to cook anymore because honestly, it's like ruined all my white clothes. And so that's going to solve the problem. Just let her, bro. Just let her. Don't sit there, Skye. And pretend you're not hearing it. Help her. Say something. Skye. Go, you're crazy. Yeah. Say this, Skye. Be like. Yeah, not so good. Say that, you know. Hey, Scott, for real. What's the matter with you? Some kind of goofball. Scott, Scott, for real. Please. Is that crazy, though? Yes. That you stop eating garlic and then you won't get, you won't stain your white clothes. Scott, too, won't do it. I'll do it. I'll do it. You're nuts. What's the problem with that? Yeah, I don't. Why don't you buy a clue? I don't think it's Sarnlings.
I don't think garlic has anything to do with it. You don't think. But have you done research? But have you looked into it? Has Merritt done research? Merritt! Did she conduct the study? I just started Googling it, and I'm not finding anything to support that. Merritt. Yes. Thank you. Merritt is crusty. Pippet! Pippet! Ashley! Pippet! She's nuts. You don't even need to research. I'll bring this shirt in tomorrow. It doesn't matter. It's sweat. Period. It's nothing to do with garlic. And if the stain is not there tomorrow, then clearly I am right because I haven't had garlic. So then I win. I can't take it. Got it? She's nuts. I can't take it. Got it? Hey, the city council's meeting today, and they're probably going to approve this emergency water conservation plan. Everybody get ready to let it mellow. Oh, boy. Never. No, I don't think we're to that point yet, but we're in the beginning stages of it. So if they do approve it, we're going to start seeing things like a ban on landscape irrigation runoff. So if you ever water your lawn to the point where some of that water gets onto the sidewalk, you're watering too much, you're in trouble, you need to stop that.
Let's see, stricter mandates on outdoor watering schedules, ban of fountains, like ornamental fountains, restrictions on car washing. Ski, you just got an ornamental fountain. Yeah. You got to stop that? Well, I live in the city of Escondido. So it's only for the city of San Diego. Yeah, this is talking about San Diego. San Diego uses... I don't get it anyway. If you got water in a fountain, it just recirculates. What's their problem? Well, it does eventually evaporate, and then you need to refill it. That doesn't take that long. I mean, it takes a while, I would think, right? And what, are you going to put a cup in there to top it off? Yeah, well, it depends how hot it is. It depends how the wind's blowing. I mean, but any way you slice it, a fountain is not a necessity. We've decided that we're going to let it mellow in the fountain to kill two birds. We're going to kill two birds with one stone. A golden fountain. That's right. But the biggest change that you'll probably see if you live in San Diego and if the city council approves this is a...
Water budget, basically saying, okay, you live in a house that's this big. You should be using X amount of water. If you use over X amount of water, it's going to cost a lot more than it costs now. Really? Yeah. So they're really going to start cracking down on water usage. Ashley, we got a text message that says, no, it's the alcohol in her deodorant. She needs to use alcohol-free deodorant. P1, informational knowledge. Yeah, that's what I just found, too. When sweat is mixed with chemicals in deodorant, a stain is produced from the chemicals. No, it's garlic, Scarlett. Garlic. We heard it's garlic. So I'll just stop wearing deodorant. Okay. You're so gross. Is that what we're all saying? No. Sean. My wife, you could tell, was so nervous to tell me that she has switched to organic deodorant because she knew that I would think it's nutball. And I did. I said, I go, who are you hanging out with? Like, honestly, what do I not know? That's great. Good for her. Oh, boy, already. Come on.
You should use as much organic products as you can. You know why she's switching? She heard that it was this whole breast cancer thing. Exactly. That's why you should use as many organic things as you can. We're not supposed to have those chemicals in our body. It ain't right. If Sean can use secret and he's fine, he's absolutely strong enough for a man. Sean, have you had a mammogram lately? My heart is pounding like Thor's hammer on Dr. Doomsday King infused face paint. Rock. 105.3. Let's see. A leather messenger bag. Poetry book. Beret. Hey, Paul, have you seen my aromatherapy candle? Dude. What? I want a cappuccino and I need to fit in at the coffee house. You can never count this team out. We didn't have the best day yesterday. These guys worked hard on it last night, made some great decisions on this car, and this thing was awesome all day. This sport, it challenges you, man. I can't tell you how tough the last week's been. It's just emotional, regardless of where you're at, if you've got a big points lead or not. This is what I've worked my whole life for, and I know everybody else in this field has, too. When that weight sits on your shoulders, it's a tough one. I'm proud of this team to rise up each time. I thank the good Lord for this talent and this great race team that I have. He raced in a scuba mask. Oh, really? Weird. Yesterday's race, which was weird. One of those scuba gears things, you know what I'm saying? Scuba gear things. Scuba gear things. Well said. Hey, do that. It's weird why we would do it. Yeah, it doesn't make sense. Guys went in, can't question it. Absolutely works. You know what I mean? Welcome back to the show. It's a Mikey show. I found out that the lady that watches Jake, her husband, we couldn't find anything. We got a couple of calls, but nothing that really panned out. Listen, man, you're listening right now, and you're in a position where you could do hiring in construction. This dude's been doing construction since he was 15.
And he speaks Spanish, though. That's the deal. He speaks Spanish. And he's legal. And he needs a job in construction. So if anybody's listening and they can help with a job in construction, go ahead, Ash. Can he understand English? I think so, yeah. Okay. I don't know. I just know they said he speaks Spanish. But maybe, I don't know. But, man, if you can hire him, the dude, he knows what he's doing. What about up at the estate, you think? Sky, you have some extra work. Well, we are building a new moat around the moat. That's right. Moat experience for the moat. You're all hilarious. So, yeah, man, if you can hire or whatever, otherwise they got to go. He has to move back. And I don't know, man, maybe right now is a weird time for construction. But if you can hire this guy, I would appreciate it. Because my kid says I love you to her. And that means so much to us, man. And I just don't want to lose her. And, you know, so if you can help, then call us at 570-1053 if you're in a position where you can hire this guy in construction. Or you can also write me, Mikey at K-I-O-Z dot com. Mikey, M-I-K-E-Y at K-I-O-Z dot com. And give me a number if you can help the guy get a job in construction.
Let me see. Oh, don't forget. We are going to be playing paintball this week. Yes. Wow. I mean, blowing it up. This is huge. Oh, dude. Huge. We are going to be at Qualcomm. That's crazy. Awesome. Ashley is teaming up with Boston Rob. Come on, Robbie. Skye is teaming up with Eddie. See how she is? Be like that. Get fired up, Skye. But I don't want her. Listen to that. She's ready. I don't want to play. You got to get the eye of the tiger. I wish somebody would have asked me. You don't want to say, I don't want to play. Let me shoot. I don't care for a gun. We should practice. You should come over. Sky, come on. Sky, listen to this. Let this get you fired up. You hear that? That's what you need. You need the eyes. You need the eye of the tiger, Sky. Please. I don't want to lose. I mean, I don't want to lose, but I even more don't want to play. I just got a visual image of Skye getting out there with a paintball because it's going to be Eddie and Skye versus Ashley and Rob. She's the best. And I got a visual image of her going out there, and she's all scared, and then something, like, clicks in her head, and she becomes just this killer. Yeah, that's what's going to happen. Please let that happen. That would be awesome. A killer instinct kicks in, and she's like,
Mowing everybody down. So is there like stuff for us to hide behind and stuff? I think. I'm sure there will be, yeah. Now the same cannot be said for Boston Rob and Zeth because we're going to put them in a turkey pen. Now this sounds like a blast. And we're going to dress them like turkeys. Yeah, you turkey. You turkey. You turkey. You turkey. And... See, this is going to be twofold. This is going to be a big paintball deal. But it's also going to be a food drive. And so if you bring 10 canned foods out there on Thursday morning when we're doing our live broadcast at Qualcomm, which hopefully all of you maniacs will show up and we'll make the news per usual. Yeah, we're going to donate all this stuff to the San Diego Food Bank. And everybody that brings 10 canned food goods is going to get one shot at B. Robin Zeth dressed as turkeys in their turkey pen. I mean, come on. I mean, come on. Yeah, Rock 105.3 and the U.S. Army are putting this paintball tournament on. Should be really sweet. Real nice. It's going to be at Qualcomm. We wanted it to be huge. Again, it's Thursday. We'll be out there doing the entire show from out there. Section N.
Three. Now let's just say that somebody calls in sick. I think we should have a backup plan. I think we should have a backup plan. What if someone gets the sniffles and can't run around? You can do this, guys. What would happen then? You can do it. I don't know why you're so freaked out. What's up? You just have to get the killer instinct between now and then. Yeah. You can find it. Do you get that by napping? No. Okay. I know. Now it's time for the YouTube clip of the day. I'll be the first to admit it. President Bush sometimes sounded dopey. Really? I'll be the first to admit it. I've never heard that. Well, listen. What? It's your interpretation? That's right. It's open to interpretation. And so as we bid him adieu, as we bid President Bush farewell, we will now listen to a farewell, like sort of a little, Little tribute that was put together for President Bush. That's sweet. Go ahead and roll this, Shawnee. I made my position clear about this war on terror. And by the way, the enemy made their position clear yet again when we were able to stop him.
I barely speak English. Did I say those words? I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully. Too many good dogs are getting out of business. Too many OBGYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country. People aren't necessarily killed. If you don't like what we tell you to believe in, we'll kill you. This war will be long, and this war will end in the defeat of the terrorists and totalitarian. The key for me is to keep expectations low. There's an old saying in Tennessee, I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee, that says, fool me once, shame on you. You can't get fooled again.
You can get a good asbestos reform out of the United States. Would you like me to buy you a cup of coffee? Tribal sovereignty means that. It's sovereign. You're a, you're a, you've been given sovereignty and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. Therefore, the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities. We're honored to fly a tomato. represented our country, and we want to thank all the dudes and dudesses of the snowboarders who are here. They underestimated the compassion of our country. I think they underestimated the will and determination of the Commander-in-Chief. For those of you going to Crawford, I'm going to thank you for listening. First order of business. Thank you, Mikey. What are you thanking me for? What is the Daily Show going to do now? I know it. Are they done? Yeah, right? That was phenomenal. Phenomenal. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 570-1053. Well, my dress is ruined thanks to you and my little brother and your stupid teriyaki bowls. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Say what you will about me, but leave my teriyaki bowls out of this. They're just grilled chicken or sirloin steak on a bed of steamed rice topped with broccoli, carrots, and teriyaki sauce. What did they do? Oh, I'll tell you. I had just said I do to the love of my life. Everyone was throwing confetti and rose petals. It was perfect until my brother started throwing rice. Isn't that traditional? Not cooked rice. Oh. And not what it's in a bowl with chicken and vegetables and teriyaki sauce. Unbelievable. I know. To waste a perfectly good teriyaki bowl like that, you must be pretty special. Oh, Jack! I was crying at weddings, too. But before I do, here's an announcer to tell you something cool that has nothing to do with my teriyaki balls. Right now at Jack in the Box, you can get a limited edition antenna ball for only $1 plus tax to help support Big Brothers Big Sisters at participating stores. The ride's kind of winding down here. It's still got that major mess coming out of Lake Elsinore in the South 15 in towards Murrieta. That jackknife big rig still blocking the two right lanes there. It's been just a major situation trying to get that unloaded and get it upright. But in the meantime, it's still heavily backed up. You're squeezing by with one lane open on the far left there. Just be prepared to set that if you're heading that direction for a while. Getting past that, it's a good-looking ride through West Condito now. That's cleaned up quite nicely down the stretch. You will find a brief slowdown, though, coming into Poway around Mercy Road. Westbound 56, looking pretty good through Penasquitos, but still finding a few brake lights as you head toward the 5, a starting ride around Carmel Valley. Southwest out of the 5, still a little bit tight here from Encinitas into Solana Beach. No worries at all out of the East County. Those are good-looking rides and all those freeways coming into the city.
805 northbound. That's still kind of heavy, though. Out of Kearney makes up with a 52. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105 for 8. And Diego's Rock. Back to the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I picked my nose a lot. Eddie. I just want my sandwich like I want my sandwich. Skye. I enjoy presents. What can I say? Sean. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. I'm a very loving, nurturing person. On Rock 105.3. Hey, it's the Mikey Show. It is 8. Barack Obama's heading to the White House today to meet with the president and get his first look at the Oval Office. Well, the Chargers won, but the crowd didn't seem too happy. Stephen Cooper talks about being booed at halftime. It didn't motivate or have a stress or anything at halftime. The crowd's a crowd, and we've got to do better as a team in order for them to cheer us on. So we can't worry about the crowd blowing us stuff. We've got to get the job done and get the crowd behind us. That's a good attitude.
Hey, listen. Crowd's booing because they're not happy with it. Team's better, you know? Oh, we were losing at halftime. Yeah. And they're losing for a bad reason, you know? They weren't really... They were losing to the Chiefs. They were losing to the Chiefs out there. The Chiefs. The Chiefs. The Chiefs. Skye, who is going to play Wonder Woman? Well, Beyonce. says that she is in talks with DC Comics and Warner Brothers about starring in Wonder Woman and says, quote, a black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing, end quote. But what if you're a terrible actress? What about that? Then how do you be Wonder Woman? Sean, you're not down with Beyonce being Wonder Woman? I know you're a comic guy. I don't get this, man. Hey, listen. That's great racial stuff, whatever. Yeah. But you know what? Wonder Woman is white. Yeah. She's white. That's right. So sorry. Yeah. Wow, you're so racist. That doesn't make me racist. I'm pointing out facts, Skye. Wow, Eddie, I thought I knew you. Eddie, why are you against African Americans? Yeah, what's up with that, bro? 2008. Hey, listen. Linda Carter wasn't black. Neither was a comic book lady.
Wait, the comic book? These are all quotes, by the way, that'll be in the paper. Okay, good. Well said. Who are the comic books? Dot, dot, dot, dot, dot. Lady, question mark. You really know your stuff, Mike. That's right. He does. That's right. Yeah, I think that's a little weird, too. It is. I'm all for equal rights and what have you, but, I mean. Come on, keep it. What if all of a sudden, what if all of a sudden they started changing the color of the Hulk? Suddenly he was purple. Right? He's green. He's green. That wouldn't be cool. That guy's green. Oh, wow. What's going on there? Thank you. That was weird. Christopher Walken wanted a way in. That was a very good Christopher Walken. That guy's green. Blanny, wowie, zowie. We're getting text messages at 35253. So go ahead. I think that Christopher Walken should be Wonder Woman. No, that would be a better choice. Seriously, he can act. White guy, saggy, totally wrinkly, in the uniform. Yeah, I prefer it. I prefer it. I got a fever. And the only prescription is more cowbell. P1 What's Hampooning texted in and said, I heard Lance Bass is up for the role of Wonder Woman. Is that true? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know any of this. Text message. Mikey.
How much is President Bush going to make doing inspirational speeches throughout the country? I'd love to hire him just to see what happens. That's P1 Flying Hawaiian. That's news to me. Mikey, my wife and I haven't argued in months until this weekend. We bought Guitar Hero and she keeps hitting the notes too early. She's no longer in my band. She's terrible. She's out of the band. It's not that hard. And it's really hard. You know who. Yes, I know who you're talking about. Mr. I'll just look at my computer screen. That's who I'm talking about. P1 Heck here. Mikey, tell Ashley she needs to put a shout on her yellow shirts and that will take the spots out. I need to shout at it?
Yes. Shout out, Ash. Get out of here. Yeah. Go away. Go away, stainers. Stainers. Leave. Have you tried that, Ash? No. A little shout? No, I haven't. I mean, I don't know. You've got to stay and shout it out. Because I've, like, tried OxyClean, Mike. Yeah. You know? And that's, like, the wizard of bleach. It is. And that didn't work. The wizard. The wonderful wizard of bleach. All you should do is put the OxyClean in your mouth and then shout out. Okay. Easy. That's a bad idea. I like it. No one do that. No one ever do that. Please don't do it at home. Don't do it at home. No. I could kill me. This is about the paintball competition on Thursday. This text message says, Mikey, tell Star I've played paintball for years. Wear thick layers. It doesn't hurt as bad. I would love to have Star. Listen, Star has not been the producer of this show in 10 years. Are you sure? And we still get people that sometimes confuse Sky and call her Star. What? Well, I am a star. Well, yes. I don't think that was a mess up there at all. Calm down. I have the shoppy to prove it. Mikey, I can't wait to see Ashley bust a cap in Sky. That's P1 Papa Giorgio. Ashley said last week, she said nothing personal Sky, but when we get out on that paintball field, all bets are off.
That just goes for both. You know, this is a team. It's a game. Yeah. And I have to stick with my team member, which is Rob, unfortunately. But you hate Rob. Unfortunately. But, you know, I'm a gamer. And if this is the deal, whoever's on my team, that's my posse. And I'm going to go buck wild on whoever's not on my team. That's how I roll. I don't like that. No hard feelings. No, you know, emotions attached. I have a question. I have a question. I want to know. Ashley is going to either have to... I'm going to go crazy. When she's out there. It is so on. When she's out there, she's going to have to make a decision in her mind. She's going to be like... Pop a cat, pop a cat, pop a cat. Who's she going to go for? Between Eddie and... Please, please. I think that too. Why do I think this? Yeah, I think you. You're done. No doubt, no doubt. Because you're the weakest link. And she's going to be like, I'm going after... I'm going to go after whatever works for me. I'm going to get in there. And who's open? Who's near me? She does not want to cross her BFF, Eddie. Oh, I'm going to destroy Eddie. Are you kidding? I'm going to destroy. Skye, don't even listen to that. She's going after me. You might as well have an Ashley Target all over your chest. You can think whatever you want. How about a trade, Rob? I'm just going to do my best. How about you just trade me out of this? I would love that.
Sorry. Sorry, Skye. I broke a nail. You're in. Skye's got to step up to the plate paintball competition. No, I don't want to step up. We'll trade places, Skye. Me and you. Well, no. I don't want to be turkey in a cage either. Yeah, that's right. Zach and Rob, we're going to put them in a turkey pin dressed as turkeys and let people come shooting. Awesome. If you bring 10 cans of food, you get a shot. You're a turkey. You're a turkey. You're a turkey. Mikey, what's next? This is a text. Mikey, what's next? A Mexican Superman? P1, please. It's the truth. Superman shouldn't be Mexican. Superman's not Mexican. He's a white dude named Clark Kent. That wasn't his name. It was Clark Kent. It shouldn't be, you know, Julio Martinez. Clark Kent. Let's see. Mikey, Nick Furry was white too. And they have Sam Jackson playing him. But Beyonce would be a horrible choice. It's P1 Roxy. I don't know who Nick Furry is. You brought that up as soon as that came out with Iron Man. I'm fine with that. Who's Nick Furry? He's the captain of S.H.I.E.L.D. Sean knows who that is. Right, Sean? Guys. What's up? Come on, leave Sean alone. Eddie, who's Nick Furry? He's the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D.
What is that? On what movie? It's in The Avengers, but it was in Iron Man and, like, The Hulk. Sam? Oh, oh, oh. So this is a movie that has not yet come out yet that this guy's talking about Sam Jackson. Well, no, at the end of Iron Man, after the credits roll, Samuel Jackson, who plays Nick Furry, shows up and is recruiting people for The Avengers, and Iron Man is one of them. And he does it in The Hulk, too. He's a good actor. And in the comic book, Sam Jackson's character, Nick Fury's white. Yes. I should stick to it. But there is, I can't remember if it happens in the comics, but I know in the Ultimate Avengers cartoon, Nick Fury's black. Weird. This is a tasty burger. That's a clip of him. From the movie. Eating a burger. So weird. He's recruiting burgers. Mikey, this is P1's Sasha Fierce. Oh, Sasha. It's like if a white guy were to play the role of Shaft. It just doesn't go. Thank you. If a white guy played Shaft, it'd be dumb. Doesn't make any sense. Nope. It doesn't. It'd be bad. It didn't. It didn't. It didn't. Our phone number here is 570-1053 if you want to call us. You can if you want to. It's totally up to you. Let's see. What do you think of this?
Mikey, my seven-year-old saved his money, bought himself a skateboard. I was nervous he, at seven, was getting a skateboard, but now my four-year-old won't stop trying to ride it. His birthday's at the end of the month, and he's asking for a skateboard. Is it too early? At five years old, I thought seven was pushing it. Wow. I don't know. I guess it depends on how coordinated your kid is, right? Eddie, wouldn't you go that route? Yeah, I mean, you wear safety equipment, you know, with that age especially. You know, you get the helmet on, the pads on. And if your kid at four is kind of doing it already, then, you know, why not? If he's good enough, like if he can handle it, you know. Sure. I can't handle it at 38. It's not good for me. So I would not try it. What would you guys think about doing this? Oh, my God. No. Oh, my God. The Dumb Chick Challenge. Hey, we're playing for some good stuff here. Are you kidding? We got good stuff. We are going to be giving away Snow Jam tickets right now, plus a $400 gift certificate for a snowboard. Snow Jam! That's a jingle, right? What was that? Snow Jam! There it is. It's a jingle for Snow Jam. Snow Jam! That's awesome. If that don't get you fired up for it, what will? One more time. 570-1053, you're either going to pick...
Sky, Boston Rob. Well, she wins all the time. Hold on. Rob, you need to step it up today, buddy. I do. You like to charge your defense. You're better than this. You're playing against the Chiefs over here. Yeah, come on. You can do this. Step it up. I'm the Titans, bro. Here's how it works. 9-0. You don't know what's up. Over here. Yeah, stop it. Over here. I know sports. What's the one player on the Titans? Titanium. Yes. That's a quarterback, Titanium. Well said. Yampers. 5701053 is our number. Now, the way the Dumb Chick Challenge works is they just have to get the five points, and they have general knowledge questions, the easiest questions. Simple. I'm talking simple. The questions, three different kinds, one, two, and three pointers. One's easy. That's easy. Really easy. Three's a little bit harder. Yes. Two's the one sky gets right all the time. Yeah. Come on. They're all difficult in their own ways. 570-1053. Call us. Pick a horse. Who do you think will win? P1 Sparky. Yeah, let me get V-Rob. That a boy? Yeah. Here we go. Right out of the gate. Booyah. Hang on. Next up, P1 Kira. I want ski. Of course you do.
Hang on the line. You want J-Mac? You get Garlic Pits. She's got her hand right now. She's got her chin in her hand. Come on, Garlic Pits. Her name is not Garlic Pits. Never call me that again. GP. Hang on. Hang on the line, you. You got Ashley. Eddie, where do we start? That one over there. This one? That's a skee-ball face? Let's do it. Skye, come on. Johnny Titan. I'm Johnny Titanium. Don't go 2-2-1. Don't. I'd like a 2, please. Oh, boo. Wrap this up real quick, Skye. Boo on you. Boo to you, buddy. Boo to you, sir. Boo donkey. Stop with that. All right, let's see. Okay. These questions have been asked. Is it that first one? I wasn't sure if that one had... It wasn't marked, so I wasn't sure if it was done or not. All right, let's ask this one then. Make sure it's something that was in a movie. All right. Okay.
This wasn't a movie. Nice. Then I have a chance. Skye, name the area in Florida where the space shuttle launches and lands. Oh, she just made the face. How easy is that? The face. Oh, she's squinting. Cape Canaveral? That's correct, Skye. Question mark? Cape Canaveral, question mark. Now, why does she get two pointers right every single time? Not every time. She can't answer threes, but she nails these twos. Cape Canaveral. It's annoying. It's Cape Canaveral. Did you know that, Ash? No, I'm just trying to remember it for my life. Just in life in general? Digest this. Yeah. All right. Boston Rock. Oh, man. There's no such thing, Eddie. I like that. Eddie just put up all five fingers. Yeah, so you're going to take a five-pointer. Yeah, and then he put up a one. So we're going to go in the middle, three. Yeah. No. I like it. Three-pointer. Confident. What? Forget it. I don't know the answer to this question. Don't say that. Way to go, Rob. Great. Two-pointer. What Portuguese navigator and explorer led the first expedition to circumnavigate the Earth in 1519? Magellan? Yes. What? Rob knows his history. Yes. In your face, garlic pits. Three to two.
What is that about? Oh, this is bad. Uh-oh. I'm not kidding. Both those questions, I didn't even understand them. I didn't even understand them. You did not understand them. Let alone know the freaking answer. Oh, Jesus. This is not good. Come on. Ask her a question about garlic. She would get it right. She's an expert. It was a fun fact. Hey, wait a second. Don't attack. Don't attack. Don't eat garlic. Won't stain my shirts when I sweat. It's false. You're false. How about that? What are you going to do here, Ashley? Do you want a one or a two? Give me a one. Because I don't understand how to answer any other questions. You're good. You're going to get this one. You're going to get this one. Where's Guantanamo Bay located? There you go. Don't you give me that look like there's nothing happening up there. Don't you do that. You know it. Just say what comes to your mind. Say what comes to my mind? Yes. Texas. What do I think the answer is? Arizona. What is Guantanamo Bay? Jury's still out on that. Guantanamo Bay.
Isn't that where they play OTL? No. Hang on. As soon as I tell you, you're going to go, oh, yeah. I know I will. It's Cuba. Close. Arizona, Cuba, whatever. They were all islands. It's all a bay, right? Yeah, I mean. I'm not going to lie. You're all right next to the water. That's right. This is starting to affect my personal life. I'm not going to lie. No, it's not. No, it is. It's not supposed to. It should. It doesn't. It needs to. And it doesn't. That and the garlic. Sky. Sorry. Uh-oh.
I'll take a two. Big move here. I'll take a two. I need to consult with Seth. Big move here. Okay. Seth, we're in a predicament here. Okay. Rob has three points. Yeah, I do. So he could potentially wrap it up after me with a two-pointer. Do I go big here? Yeah, right. Or do I just play cool? Rob's kind of a choke artist. That is true in this game. That is true. Oh, I love it. Okay, I'll take a two then. You got it. Fine. Fine. Fine. I'm happy for you. Congrats. Okay, thanks. Yeah, Mike, ask you that one that's confusing you. Ask you that one, Mike. Yeah, if you can't even understand the question. I do, but I'm looking at the answer of this particular question. I'm like, hmm, I thought that was, that doesn't seem right. I say go to the next one. Go to the mall. Go to the mall. Sorry. Then go to the next one. That's wrong, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Here, put the right answer. That's right. I'm going to go with the two. I want the next question. This one is full of shenanigans. Yeah, it's super... Sky, it's easy. All right, Star, here you go. It is easy. It was just... Shut up, you dork. Are you ready, Sky? Okay. Your two-point question is...
In what state is the Baseball Hall of Fame located? Oh, boy. Oh, she is looking at the ceiling. She is clenching her fist. Where is Cooperstown? Wow, the fact she knew that was kind of impressive. I know. But I don't know where it is. She's freaking out. It's like she's got a pee or something. Cuba, Arizona, Mike. Did you just say Cuba, Arizona? Yes. That's where it is. Skye has her hands over her face. She's so irritated. It's in there. Like, no, it's not in there is the problem. Like, I know Cooper's sound. Okay, but I gotta take a guess. Go ahead, go ahead. Just point it at the microphone like, yep, there it is. Oh, gosh.
I don't know. What is that sign Eddie's giving me? I need to talk some things out. I'm thinking South Dakota, but I know that's lame. What would be in South Dakota? Are you trying to read our faces? Oh, look, Eddie. Pennsylvania. There's a lot of stuff in Pennsylvania. Kind of what they do in the stands to sort of throw off the distraction. Over here, over here. They're both waving their arms, trying to distract her. She's not going to get this free throw, you guys, if you do that. No. Pennsylvania. Oh. Oh. No. It's in New York. Cooperstown, New York. Hey, you took the question from Rob. He would have known that. Good point. I like you, Seth. Good point. It's true. That is true. I hope you're satisfied with the loss. Wow. Look at this. Rob feels very comfortable. Very comfortable. Are you ready, Rob? You want me to do two ones? No, no, no. Of course not. Give me a two, Mike. You got it. Here we go.
Your two-point question is? Yeah, let's go meet. Fine. What were the two first names of the Wright brothers? Oh. No. History. History. History. Think about it. Who were the Wright brothers? The guys that played for Miami, right? And all I keep thinking about is the comedian, Stephen Wright. Stephen Wright. Oh, jeez. He's really good. I'm going to go with, you know what? I liked it. Hold on. Oh, boy. Wait. Uh-oh. I want to say Stephen and Orville, but I think that's just... But Eddie laughed and... Yeah. But I think Orville's just that popcorn guy, and Stephen Wright's just one of my favorite comics. Now I'm throwing up. Eh, go Stephen and Orville. That's close, but no cigar. You're so stupid. It's Orville. Orville? And Wilbur. Wilbur. Wilbur Wright. Steve?
Stephen Wright. Stephen Wright is a comedian. I know. But I think he made planes in 1930. I thought he was named after them. That's brutal. I got Orville, though, so one point. Yeah, yeah. You're very close. Ashley's got her eyes closed. She's rolling her neck like this to stretch out her neck. Oh, man. She's doing general stretches, but they're board stretches. They're not really like, I'm enjoying this or I'm going to do something here. They're garlic stretches. Working it out of the system. Stop saying that. I'm not kidding. No. I will take you three. Oh, what? I love it. She's great at threes. But did you hear the last one? She gets them sometimes. Arizona. Arizona. Hey, man. All right, Ashley, you ready? Yes. Focus. What person is credited with inventing daylight savings time? I just did this. She knows. Oh, no. Oh, gee. She just did what? She made a hand gesture. Albert Einstein. invented it. Hold on, don't quote me on that hit. That was your answer. She's working it out. That was your answer. Moses! I blogged about this. I blogged about Daylight Savings and why the heck is it invented and then some chick wrote me back and was like Albert Einstein invented it.
It's incorrect, Ash. Teddy Roosevelt. Go-to answer. Merit. He's my favorite. Merit. Merit. Merit. Merit. Merit. She does. Merit. She's so good. Was it Orville and Wilbur Daylight? The Daylight Savings Brothers? It was that Bell guy. The Bell. What was his name? The Bell guy. It was the Bell guy. Who is he? Ryan Howard. Give me his name. It was... East Bell. East Bell? Did he do it? Benjamin Franklin. Yeah! Yes, it was Benjamin Franklin. Yes. I knew that one. It's a three-pointer you would have got if you would have thought that one out a little bit. Well, I was, and then I... You guys said I gave the real answer. You said Albert Einstein. You can't answer and then us laugh and be like, no, that's not it. That is not allowed in the game for all three of you guys. That's right. That's what you call it. String bet. Sky, what are you going to do? Sky, don't do that. I don't know. Go for it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Stick with it. You don't have the ability. Can't do it.
My base coach says, too. Yeah. Skye. Yes. And I'm going to go with one. Who wrote the famous phrase, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet? Oh, man. Uh-oh. Skye has that look like San Jose State. Here we come. Doing them proud today. That's right. Well, let's think of people who wrote stuff that people talk about. Oh, my gosh. I like it. It's in there. I mean, if you do talk about people that wrote stuff people talk about, you'll find him. I just gave you a clue. It's a him. Well, please. Whoa, that is so sexist. Well, I'm just saying. Excuse me. But Judy Blume has written a lot of really great books. I don't know. Steinbeck. Who? Who? Steinbrenner. Yeah. Albert Einstein. It was Shakespeare, Skye. Shakespeare. Oh, she just got to look like him. I was going to say that, but I was like, no, that's too easy. Plus, it makes sense. Yes. And his stuff doesn't make sense. Steinbeck, though. Yeah, that makes more sense. Did your friend Merritt tell you that? Merritt. Merritt. Skip it. Skip it. That was stupid. Come on, Skip it. Skip it. Boston Robert. Oh, I...
Finish it, Rob. Finish it. Yeah, I got to get a two. Hurry. Please win. Hurry. Wrap it up with a two? Please win. All right. Here we go. It's taking forever. Your two-point question is, what Australian mammal eats almost exclusively eucalyptus leaves? I know this one. What is it? The koala bear. That means... Back on the train. She won Sparky. Are you there? Yes, I am. You are a winner, dude. Let me please, D-Rob. It's Mikey. The Mikey Show is on. I'm here with Mike from Eugene, Oregon. Hey, man. A real-life Fox Monday superfan. Yep. Here's another Mikey moment. We're going to be telling you who the winner of the worst tattoo contest is. Awesome. I think that one from the guy from Fantasy Island. Oh, no, Sky. That's a different tattoo. No, but that's the worst tattoo. He's the best tattoo. That's actually me. Why don't you say that? Well, that's who I voted for. He's my tattoo. Thank you both. Don't let this crazy woman speak of you like this. Kick her in the shin. Take that. I was confused. Every time I kick my foot, it doesn't reach out. I know. You are a mijot. Take that. Here, climb on my back. No, I don't beefy. Idiot. That was a bad idea. Back to the Mikey Show on The Rock. Rock 105.3. Back at Samaki's show at 8.56. Up to 10,000 people marched in Hillcrest over the weekend to protest the passage of Prop 8. Alabama and Texas Tech hold on to their number one and number two spots in the BCS. Penn State drops out after losing. Texas, Florida, and Oklahoma round out the top five. There it is. Let's see here. We got a lot of stuff to get to that we still haven't got to. Listen to this. This was Barack Obama's first press conference.
Now, I'm sure B.O. is chomping at the bit to get to this stuff. You know what I mean? I would be, too. I would be, too. You know, but he's made it clear. He says, listen, I want to start instituting my stuff, but I'm not in there yet. President Bush is still the president until I get sworn in. But he wants to do it. But anyway, he was doing this first press conference. And listen to this. Cut to. In terms of speaking to former presidents, I've spoken to all of them that are living. Obviously, President Clinton. I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances. I don't understand that. It's very controversial right now. I'm hearing this Nancy Reagan seances thing. It's like a story that he said that. But I don't understand what he meant. Like, is there a thing with Nancy Reagan and seances? Sean, wasn't it Hillary who like once held a seance in the White House or something like that?
Do you know? I've never heard of anything like that. Yeah, there's something with a former first lady doing seances. And from what I read, but I just briefly read it, they think that Obama was confused when he spoke, thinking that it was Nancy Reagan, but it was actually Hillary Clinton. I don't know. I'll Google it and check. But there was something about first ladies doing seances. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It makes sense if there's a whole thing with it. But I Googled it, and all I could find was stuff about him. Weird. Saying it, you know? But I don't understand it. Here he is talking about what kind of dog they're going to be getting. This is another controversy. This next one's controversial. This is another thing he said that apparently is controversial. Cut three. With respect to the dog, this is a major issue. I think it's generated more interest on our website than just about anything. criteria that have to be reconciled. One is that Malia is allergic, so it has to be hypoallergenic. There are a number of breeds that are hypoallergenic. On the other hand, our preference would be to get a shelter dog, but obviously a lot of shelter dogs are mutts like me. So whether we're going to be able to balance those two things, I think, is a pressing issue on the Obama household.
So that was the line that they stuck to was the mutts like me, which what do I care? That was funny. I thought it was kind of funny, too. Who cares? So back to the seance thing. Let's see. Nancy Reagan used an astrologer to draw up her husband's schedule after the assassination attempts against him in 81. And then but they say never held a seance, but then went on to say that Lincoln's wife, as well as Hillary Clinton, went. Tried to contact the dead through spiritual advisors. Really? I know a little bit of stuff. I've never heard this in my life. I'm 38 years old. I remember the Nancy Reagan thing. I remember that was a big deal, her astrologer. Really? Yeah, that was a big deal. But the Hillary Clinton thing, I've never heard that. That's creepy. Me either. I didn't know that. That was going to be our president? Thank God. You think she'd be having seances in the White House? And she put Miss Cleo in her cabinet. Exactly. Miss Cleo. So are people getting upset over the mutt comment or no? Yeah, I think that some people are. Because I think some people are going, I don't think that it is very appropriate to be comparing an interracial person with a dog.
I don't think that that's fair to call. But he's doing it himself. I thought it was self-deprecating and kind of charming. You know what I mean? Please. Take your battles. Come on. Taylor Swift is a very, very pretty girl that sings country music. He won American Idol. He's got the great hair. Soul Patrol. Soul Patrol. Soul Patrol. thinking of. So he's pregnant? Is that the deal? Yeah, he is. That's the rumor. Here he is. Here's the Silver Fox himself. No, it's Soul Patrol. Here is the Soul Patrol guy that won American Idol responding to rumors that he is pregnant. Cut four. I have devoted my entire life to not having something like that happen. You know, it's just, it's really, really scary that someone can just say something and that it gets spread around the internet.
She looks like Charlotte from Charlotte's Web. What? All right. Her eyes look like the spider Charlotte from Charlotte's Web. Oh, my gosh. Meaning she's got eight of them? You are kind of right. I don't know what she looks like. Really weird reference. She looks like Charlotte from Charlotte's Web. Okay, well, now I know. Charlotte's got those squinty blue eyes. Like the old school cartoon? The spider. Okay, I know exactly what you're talking about. Dude, that's what her... She's real pretty, this Taylor Swift. But apparently they were saying that she was pregnant or something. Yeah, it was a big controversy. She was dating the eldest Jonas brother. I don't know which one that is. Buck. Fonzie. It's Fonzie Jonas. He's the coolest one. It was kind of crazy because they broke up, but when they were together, they would never confirm that they were together. That's her. That's her with no makeup on. She looks like she should be on a web right there. Now show me a picture of Taylor Swift. Yeah. And so she basically ratted out whichever Jonas brother it was saying that he dumped her over the phone and it was like a 10 second phone conversation and he dumped her. Taylor Swift said that the Jonas guy dumped her over the phone? Yeah. Get in line, sweetheart. That's how a lot of girls get broken up with. That's how a lot of guys get broken up with too. And she says that she's now learned to not date anyone if you can't acknowledge in public that that's your brother.
boyfriend, if you're not allowed to acknowledge them in public, that you shouldn't be dating them. And if they don't let you acknowledge them. That's a very true statement for all of us. If you're dating somebody and they don't want it acknowledged publicly, it's because they're embarrassed of you. Because you're short and fat and Mexican. You're projecting. Maybe I was, yeah. I mean, I could have been projecting. This is getting embarrassing. Yeah, I could have been projecting my own personal feelings. You could have been. Into the conversation. I could have. Your Mexican-ness is what defines you. Yeah, I'm not saying I did. I'm just saying hypothetically, you know, that maybe they don't, they like you because you're like able to be there. little sponge for all they want to tell you and all their problems and be their friend, but you're a little too chubzo to be like a regular boyfriend. I don't think that was the problem for her. Like, hey, let him go. I mean, she's very thin. She's gorgeous. I don't mind having a couple of wine coolers and kissing you, but if it actually means, you know, in a real way, Bartles and James. Okay. I don't know. Anyway, I knew a guy.
He was in that situation. Lives in the mirror. Yep. So I talk to him. Every day I talk to him that way. Here is a clip of Madonna at her concert on Friday night. Oh, Merritt went to that. Merritt and Christy actually went to that. Said it was so good. Well, wait a minute. Now that one was Tuesday night in San Diego. That one that you're talking about. That's the one. Pippet went to. Pippet! And then she got lost and everyone was looking. Pippet! Pippet! Pippet! Oh man, it's a good place. Right there in Like a Virgin. But anyway, so she plays this show Thursday night. A couple nights after she leaves San Diego, Madonna plays this show. Tuesday night was election night. She plays San Diego election night that Prop 8 passed. And she had these comments to make about it on her Thursday night show, Cut 8. It's really cool because she was like doing, you know, choreographed spins, you know, as she was saying it. And with that in mind, listen again, cut eight. Well said. The night that Barack Obama was voted into office, Oprah Winfrey used a porta potty for the first time. But in addition to that, she was seen.
standing next to this stranger, and she was so overcome by all of it, she was, like, crying on his shoulder, right? Well, it's made news. Oh, yeah, everybody wants to know, who is that guy? Who is that guy? Because she was, like, kind of hiding behind him, and then at a certain point, she put, like, her chin up over his shoulder, and then little tears would come down her face. Yeah, that kind of bigger gentleman. That was standing right in front of her, yeah. That's not Stedman? No. He was behind her. I thought that was him. No, everybody's wondering, who is that guy? Because, no, he's not Stedman. Well, they want to know because Oprah is wonderful. Yes. Made of rainbows and sunshine. She's made out of rainbows. Did you know she's made out of rainbows? Yeah, I heard that. She farts rainbows. Look at that. Chase it. Pot of cold. Oh, catch it. Catch it. Catch it.
But it's like a whole thing. Who was he? Who was he? Turns out it was Joe the Plumber. Oh, my gosh. I caught it. You did? Oh, my gosh. It's in this mason jar. Keep it forever. She would smell it every day. That's right. His name is Sam Perry. And she got him and had him come on the show. Steve's brother. Yeah. He's the guy that she cried on. Unreal. This is a true story. That's something. Dude. What country do we live in? What? We live in Oprah land. Oh, I don't want to. Shut up! Shut up! I don't care. I don't care. Cut 12.
I apologize for not asking your name. No, not at all. And, you know, you mentioned you were so kind to express concern over my jacket. But this is the jacket. And you'll see there is no mascara. But it was very good, actually, that the cameras were there. Because a lot easier to go home to my wife and say, no, it really was Oprah. Oh, my gosh. I hear that you've been getting quite a few calls. Actually, I heard described the evening as one that was so full of emotion that the crowd was vibrating, a quarter of a million people. And we certainly felt that, but you may not have felt it, or you may have. My cell phone, right from the very beginning, was vibrating with calls that came in from South Africa, that came in from Australia, Pakistan, India, all over the world, Denmark, London, and actually 1,500 people in Silicon Valley in my home office were calling me to tell me that I was dead. He's on the cover of Newsweek. He's on the cover of Time. Man of the year.
It's just like a wired Rolling Stone. Nobel Peace Prize. Like, I swore Oprah must have known him the way she was, like, kind of touching him and, like, using him as, like, her personal tissue box. Like, I thought that was maybe one of her security people, like, something. She didn't worry about it because she knew that he wouldn't have a problem with it because she's Oprah Winfrey. Yeah. Like, you're the lady from the color purple. It's okay. Now your jacket can cure cancer. Yeah. Fantastic. I don't know the rainbow. Yeah, how about a rainbow? You know what I mean? That is weird. So there it is. How's that guy not like, hey. Hey, pardon me. Your runny nose. Yeah. Can you get off me? Yeah. Hey, wipe your nose on Stedman. Hey, you can't lean on anyone you want, lady. Yeah. Now, so she's dating. Jason Steadman, the guy that was in The Transporter, right? That's her boyfriend. Well, he's pronounced Statham. In the movies, he pronounces it Statham. Yeah, but that is him. In the movies, he's called Statham. You guys. You know what I'm saying? He has to keep his adrenaline up for the love of Oprah. Yeah. Or else Oprah's love will die. Oh, yeah. Get that rainbow. Forget it. Okay.

Chargers football and Bud Light. This is game day. We're looking pretty good on our freeways right now. We had our share of tough spots, but not too bad right now at all. It's pretty much over. There is that one exit, though, on the eastbound 78 just before College Boulevard. That's a bad one. Traffic's coming into a nearest stop on the approach to that one here in Oceanside. So watch for the brake lights if you're coming off that 5 onto the 78 eastbound through Oceanside. South 15, a minor delay lift over here, right around the Poway area, mainly due to an earlier accident, which is now cleared at Miramesa Boulevard. Everything else is at speed looking good, so have a nice ride out there. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. They had this, like, giant noggin, and it was small, and it was weird. KC San Diego's Rock. The Mikey Show's on. Featuring Mikey. I'm 36 years old. I have a sensitivity to sugar. I'm dumb. I can't be a doctor. You are a doctor. Sky. Just because I like to be sensitive of other people's feelings. But it doesn't do any good. Sean. I'm very fair when it comes to tipping. Boston Rob. Everybody enjoys a good thumbs up once in a while. That's right. And Ashley. I'm really bad at describing things. On Rock 105.3. You know what I'm talking about when we do this thing. It's a slapping off the Boston.
You know it. Shipping up. Shipping up. Smoking it. Smoking up. Smoking over to Boston. Oh, no. It's over, bro. It's 9-15. Madagascar escaped to Africa, killed it at the box office this weekend. It was the number one movie, making $63.5 million. I'm not sure if you realize this, but the Chargers got a win yesterday. The Chiefs missed a two-point conversion at the end of the game to get the Chargers to win 20-19. Phillip Rivers says, hey, win's a win. We didn't play particularly well, but, you know, as they say, a win is a win. And we want to apologize for that. But we'll go in there, get things corrected, and move on to Pittsburgh. You know, we're at the point now in the season we can't dwell on everything. We've got to get things corrected and move on because the opponent next week, obviously, is going to be a tough one at their place. You should apologize. It was the Chiefs, Phillip. Thank you, too. It was the Chiefs. Probably the worst team in football. Damn it! Eddie said they had a fourth string. Running back. Fourth string running back. Third string quarterback. They had so many injuries. It was crazy. Their best player on defense out. I mean, it was nuts. Chargers had to do everything in their power to win the game. Really? No joke. Eddie just said to Sky, what have you given up? What are you doing? Oh, no. She got the slippers. She got the sweatpants. She got the sweatshirt. And she goes, Sky goes.
Oh, sorry I didn't wear my prom dress in here. Yeah, like, why are you walking? Just shoes, baby. It's radio. These are my outdoor slippers. I'm not convinced that that was not your prom dress, by the way. I'm not 100% convinced. That's a good point. These are my outdoor slippers, okay? Mike, look at her slippers and tell me if those are outdoor slippers. They are. Show him. Oh, guys are so weak. They're very dramatic. Ashley. What? Stop it. See, they have the stuff on the bottom for outside. See? You jerks. In your face, huh? You are the most comfortable news girl in the country. Oh, I really am. There is not one. I really am. There is not. I should get an award for it. I do not believe there is a news girl more comfortable than Skye. Yep. She literally wears her pajamas to work every day. No, I do not wear my pajamas. You do not? Pajamas. Pajamas. Yes. Perhaps my pajamas. Okay. My jamsters. Jammy jams. My yammies. Shut up. My boo-air. Yes. Come on. What's wrong with being comfy? That is comfy.
What's wrong? Very comfy. That's right. I took a shower. I washed my hair. This morning. Last night before bed. I always shower before bed. I always shower. Yeah. Okay. Sean gets so upset. Whatever. It is not gross to shower before bed. Why is it gross? Well, because you're coming to work not clean. She's clean. She showered last night. Germaphobes do not agree. Bacteria falls on you when you sleep. It does? I don't know. You sweat all night. That's true. You do sometimes. You do sweat all night? People sweat when they sleep. I don't. I don't wake up sweating. You don't sweat profusely, but you do sweat. That reminds me of a four-year-old taking a nap. Oh, no. I mean, honestly. That's exactly like that. Yeah, me too, Mike. You're all four-year-olds. Easy, darling. Whatever. In Pennsylvania, a mugger got caught by text messages. How? Well, he was, he mugged this old lady, stole her purse. That's brutal, man. Yeah, Mike's hot spot. Doing stuff to old people. I hate that. It's so sad, man. Little kids and old people. Doesn't that break your heart? Yeah, it's brutal. And I guess he dropped his cell phone when he grabbed the lady's purse and ran off.
And he had just sent a text message to one of his friends that said, I'm ready to grab some old lady's purse. Oh, my gosh. And so, I mean, it's a no-brainer. That phone is his property. He basically admitted in the text message. What a dummy. So, evidence against him, arrest him, lock him up. Ah, it's terrible. Yeah, dummy. That's right. O.J. Simpson has been denied a new trial and bail. Yeah. Yeah, he was... He was trying to get very laughing. I still get off. He's laughing. Well, because I beat the system every time, man. It's what I do. Yeah. It's my thing. It's my fetish. But you were found guilty already. Nah, nah. You just haven't been sentenced yet. Big time guilty. That was from the white jury. I'm waiting for the black jury. We'll get a different jury in there. Next jury's going to be the Knicks. Right. But see, the new story is you asked for a retrial and you were denied. The Knicks. No, but you were denied. Yeah, my attorney filed an appeal to me. Yeah, my attorney Spike Lee. That's right. What?
It says in the Constitution that you've got to be tried by a jury of the Knicks. Yes. It doesn't say that anywhere. You know, my peers. Well, it says a jury of your peers, but that means the Knicks. No, Americans are your peers. Jury of the Supersonics. Did I mention, by the way, I once rushed for 2,000 yards with the Buffalo Bills? Awesome. I don't think I did, so go right ahead. Heisman's talking about it right here. That's right. Coming through. You mention it every time, OJ. Speaking of that, Heisman. I'll rob somebody to get that thing. I can do what I want. It's my stuff. Hold on. I'll rob their neck right off the head. That's right. I'll rob their soul. That's right. I'll rob their soul, your neck, whatever it takes. And I'll eat it right in front of that kid. Okay. A little much. A little much. A little much. Just a little. A lot much. Just a little. A lot. I got more inside. Freaked everybody under 65 years old out. Wow. It happens. Speaking of freaking everybody under 65 years old out, Nicole Kidman is set to play a transsexual in a new movie. Eddie's shaking his head. Eddie's just shaking his head.
I don't know what he's shaking his head. What are you talking about? I mean, come on. What else? Nicole Kidman. She's a good actress. You want to know who her wife will be? No. Tom Cruise. Feel good comedy of the year. Tell me that wouldn't be popular. I love it. Her wife in the upcoming movie, The Danish Girl, will be Charlize Theron. Of course. Of course. She plays that role very well. Does that stuff. Remember Monster? I don't know. But Nicole Kidman's going to be the transsexual. She's going to be the... Guy become girl. And Charlize Theron is going to be the wifey. I guess it's based on actual events. Pre-production on the movie has begun. Have we run out of ideas? Yes. It's official, right? It's official today. Because I got a couple that are better than that one. They're like, they don't have anything left. That's very brave, by the way, I think. Take that role? Yeah, because people are going to be like... They're going to think of her like that when they see her now. They're going to be like, oh. Wait. I don't know. Does that go? Yeah. I don't know about that. That's her laugh. She's got like a guy. She's still got the guy's voice. Oh, okay. Hi. Okay. That's a clip from the movie. Give me back, my son.
It's actually Give Me Back My Jump. Yes, that's actually what she says in the movie. That's an actual clip. Oscar clip. Hey, Sean, you're going to be very, very upset to hear this. No, no, no, it's not a germ thing. It's not a germ thing. Les Stroud is ending his show. Oh, what? No more of the most boring show of all time. Why? My friends, Russ and Rachel, they are... Russ and Rachel from Friends? Russ and Rachel. Oh, were they hanging out at Central Park? Very close. Very close. They were on a break. Okay, good. They are Survivorman. Like Eddie and I, we roll with the Bear Grylls and the... Man vs. Wild. Man vs. Wild. You're in one of those camps. You're in one of those camps. Well, Les Stroud, Survivorman, said... Quote, it takes a lot out of me as I really do what I do for real. With no camera crew, no nights in hotels like others do. And it takes a toll on my body. It takes a toll on my body. And you're boring. Sorry you're boring. Get out of here. Holiday Inn Express. Eat crazy stuff, then I'll watch you. Marry it.
Be a jerk. Be a man. Get out of here. We can't enjoy a continental breakfast like Bear. Okay, wait. Wait, what? I was just... You said something that wasn't a word. Let me tell you something. They don't need Ambien. They don't need Unisom. They don't need the Lung Nesta. Just watch Survivor Man, and it'll put you to sleep. It'll show you real life. There's Les sitting there. That's so interesting. That's amazing. How do you do that, Les? Look at 45 minutes of Les trying to light a fire. It's so compelling. Eat a cobra, then I'll watch you. Eat a cobra. Yeah, get your camera crew to get a cobra out of the local zoo. Get it out of the local zoo. It was probably run over by a car on the interstate. If you pan right, you'll see a semi go by and run over. You eat kangaroo testicles, okay? I'll watch you. No, thank you. I say no, thank you. I'll watch you. I don't watch you. Eat the testicle, then make a part.
Then make a purse out of the thing. The stuff. Yeah, the stuff. Yeah. And then what do you do? Yeah. And then what do you do? They can carry your kindling in to help you over the next four days. And you can do your business in there. Yeah. Save it for later. Save it for later. Save it for later. I don't want to have to do this. I'm sorry, Sean. They don't get it. They don't get it. Hey, you gotta survive. I'm so glad that I kept this kangaroo testicle. You know what? When I'm at it, I'm going to watch Superman and see what it's like on Krypton just in case I ever end up there. Just in case I ever end up there. Is it fake? Is him eating that stuff fake? Well, it's all set up. It ain't no Survivorman. It's all set up. It's all set up. He's getting a neck. rub while he's figuring it out. Who cares? It's awesome. Let him go. Bear Grylls ate a goat's eyeball and I watched it.
Yeah. He's gone noodling for those catfish. The catfish is on his hand. He's bleeding from his hand already. I can't believe I've got a catfish on my arm and it's biting the heck out of me and I'm going to die, but I don't care. I'm Barry Grizzly. I'm the toughest man. Deadliest snake on earth. I'm going to bite its head off. He is not the toughest man. Les would kick his ass every day. And he did. Les, what will he do? Sit there and bore him to death? Yes. Thank you. I survived the Serengeti, but I bored myself to death. Dude, let me tell you. It's not even close. Sky, if you had to make a choice, you're going to be dropped in the middle of nowhere. You get less stroud or bear. Forget it. You don't even have to think about it for a second. Do I want to survive or do I want to be entertained? I would like to survive. I want both. Me too. I want to survive while watching a guy eat a deer. Raw. Right? Cut his heart out and eat it. Dude, he's crazy. Yeah. I can't believe it. Let me open up the zebra and drink the juice. This is what I do. I don't want to have to drink the juice of the zebra, but I'll do it if I have to. That's zebra juice. Not very tasty. It's actually apple juice. I need it. I need it to survive. Here's Survivorman. This is me in the eighth hour sitting here on this log. I've been sitting on this log for eight hours. Somebody will eventually find me.
Come back after commercial. I'm still on the log. Oh, look, there's an ant. I don't have the strength to get it. And the end of the show is, well, I'm still sitting on the log. Nothing ever happened, but join me next time when I sit on a rock. Thanks, Les. That was real fun. It's the worst. Here's me walking, and now I'm going to walk back and get my camera. That's seriously what it is. You're amazing. How do you do it? He doesn't have catering there. He walks back and forth. He doesn't have craft services right there. Did you see Survivorman this weekend? He walked from rock to rock. Get out of here. Is that the one where he sat on the log? Yeah, dude. Did you see he got a mosquito bite, bro? He healed it by sitting on the rock. That's awesome. You don't get it. This is great.
Pam Anderson says she's given out really good advice for all people that were ever thinking about it. She says, don't do a sex tape. This is her advice. Wait a second. I haven't heard this. Don't do a sex tape. This is Pam Anderson. She says, don't do it. Don't do it. What if you think people will never see it? Can't tape with them. Can't do it. Are you sure that's not Ryan from The Office saying that? No, Ryan from The Office did release a public service announcement at one point to let people know that even though they think it's a good idea, it is not a good idea, and don't do it. Sean, do we have that? Take a listen. This is Ryan from The Office. Ryan and Pam Anderson. They both believe the same thing. They're on the same ticket. Then it must mean it's true. They both believe the same thing. They're the smartest people I know. Well, they have wisdom. Yeah. They have a lot of wisdom. They've lived through it, and they believe that they know the answer. Shawnee, do you have it? Because I think it's a good idea. We'll play it in a minute. Yeah, so Pam Anderson is saying the reason she's saying this now is because her kids are now going to school and they're starting to get teased about mommy and daddy's sex tape. Now, I'll tell you what's really awful about it. What's awful is that, depending on how old are the kids,
It doesn't say here. They're getting up there. Are they? Are they, like, teens? I want to say, like, middle school is my guess. Yeah, that would be my guess, too. Like, 11, maybe? Are they getting that from their parents? Are they hearing their parents talking about it? Or do they know about the sex tape? No. Because you'd think they're probably hearing it from their parents. In which case... Yeah. Yeah, you got two things that are bad. What'd you make the sex tape for? Because now your kid's getting picked on. But then the other thing of, like... Oh, man. Don't be telling your kids, because they're going to go to school and make fun of those kids, and that's bad, too. They shouldn't have to pay for it. Never, ever, ever tape yourself having sex. That's right. You think you're going to erase it. You say you're going to erase it, but you're not going to erase it. That's right. And someone's going to find it. Thank you. It's just the worst, worst idea you could do. Never, ever tape yourself having sex. It is. I can't stress this enough. This is a public service announcement from Ryan from The Office. Just letting everybody know. Good message. He's going to sell his total truck that he got in the accident on. On eBay.
Well, actually, he's not selling it. What happened is it was bought at one of these, you know, auctions of cars that are in car accidents and, you know, how you can, like, buy... Shia LaBioff, right? LaBioff. So somebody bought the truck that he was in that car accident in and jacked up his hand, not knowing it was his, but they ended up finding his Warner Brothers studio badge, like tucked in it, like in the seat or something, and then put two and two together and is now going to sell the truck on eBay. They say the starting bid will be $7,000. It's like John Voight's car from Seinfeld. Yeah, dude. Hey, who's Sienna Miller? Does she work at Channel 933? No. No, no, no. You're getting confused. She's that Jude Law's ex-girlfriend. Oh, yeah, yeah. All that. I think she's an actress. I don't know. She is dating Baltazar. Who's Baltazar? It's a magician, isn't it? He was this guy on the radio back in Boston. Baltazar the magician. Baltazar the great. Good reference. Good one, Rob.
He's better known. Six people from Hopkinton just drove off the road. Yeah, they did. Is there six people in Hopkinton? He's an actor on the TV show Brothers and Sisters. What? Yeah. There's a TV. Hey, Sean, how is that show? I watched it one time. I did not like it. Me too. Of course. Yeah. So, I don't know if you guys know the story with them, but basically back in July, the paparazzi got pictures of the two of them kissing. She was topless at the time on some, like, yachts. Never. Never. Photograph yourself topless. Well, they've been photographed themselves. Ever. Ever. Photograph yourself being topless. You say you're going to erase them. But you're not going to erase them. So they were caught by the paparazzi making out. Well, he was married with children. And so after those pictures start making the rounds, he filed for separation. Duh. Well, she has now dumped him. Oh, Baltazar. Yeah, broke out the marriage, the family, and now later sucker. Hugh Hefner.
is going to give Kendra away. Isn't that his ex-girlfriend? Did you even hear about the craziness of that? She's going to get married to Hank Baskett, who calls the Charger games. No. How did you even meet her? Well, it wouldn't surprise me. How did that happen? No, it's Hank Bauer. Hank Baskett is a wide receiver for the Eagles. Oh, I always get them confused. Like Fitzgerald, actually. That's right. I freaking love that guy. How would you guys like your lady's ex-boyfriend to walk her down the aisle? Was he really her ex-boyfriend? Wasn't that just the whole sham? No, it was not. So you don't think that Hef sleeps with those chicks? Yeah, I think he does. A lot of them. He broke up with all three of them. So do you want some dude who slept with your lady walking her down the aisle? I can't confirm her tonight. Why is... You're so weird. Why would the dude marrying her... Why would Frank Basket... Wait, no. Yeah, just get a task. Yeah, why would a just get a task even... Okay. Right? Why would he even be comfortable with that? I don't know. I would be weirded out. Well, look who he's marrying. It's true. You know what I mean? True. Uh, let's see. Hey, breaking news. Bear Grylls is better than Lestrade. Yeah, yeah. You ain't talking. You ain't talking.

Your border weight, though, is still about two hours in some ways at San Jose, Joe, getting into the U.S. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Hey, let me let you know about Sleep Train and everything that Sleep Train is doing for you. They're doing some really cool stuff. They've got sales going on at Sleep Train pretty much all the time, and right now they've got this mattress price war deal going on, on all the big name stuff. So I'm talking about names that you've heard like Select Comfort and Beautyrest and Posturepedic and stuff like that. These different mattresses. Why can't I talk? Mattresses. They're making deals right now. So get on down there, man. It's going on now through Veterans Day. And it will behoove you to go down there and get this done. Now, here's the things that I think are really cool about them. Doing the going there before two o'clock in the afternoon, they'll deliver the same day is pretty cool. But also taking your old mattress out is cool because I don't like dealing with that. Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep. Here's another Mikey moment. Sky, how would you propose to a guy? So I would probably be, you know, sitting there. The place would be cleared, but we'd, you know, still may be enjoying a glass of wine or beer or whatever. We're drinking a cup of coffee. And I would say.
You know, we've been together for, you know, I'm just going to take this gal's example. We've been together for three years now. Oh, my gosh. You dream of where you're going to be at when you're in your 30s. And you know what my dreams are. I dream of a family. I dream of a husband, a loving household. Of Jeannie. Eddie, we're thinking it. I can't tell myself, Mike. I mean, I don't want to hear. Eddie. It's like putting a bottle of vodka in front of Nick Cage and leaving Las Vegas. Like, what am I supposed to do? Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's a Mikey show. It is 9. A dozen cars were vandalized with racial slurs in Claremont early Saturday morning. Hey, guys. Chargers win. Oh, yeah. Chargers win. You're awesome. Yeah, they were able to beat the Chiefs. Get out of here with that. I know. You're probably thinking like. It was a giant blowout? It was a giant blowout? No. They actually won when they missed a two-point conversion. Bowe is wide to the left, Bradley way out wide to the right from the left hash for the ballgame. It's 20-19 with 23 seconds to go. Shotgun snap, it's high. Big Penn rolls out, being chased, heaves it high in the air. It is knocked down, and the Chargers are going to win this game. Clinton Hart, the guy who was called for pass interference.
Stepped in there. Made the play. The Chargers 20. The Chiefs 19. The Chiefs. Yeah. 20 to 19. Can we talk about that pass interference call, by the way? Please. How bad are these referees? Yeah. That was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. Thank you. Why is it the pass interference cannot be reviewed? Why? Why can't it not be reviewed? It makes sense that it should be. It absolutely should be. That is garbage. It makes sense. Garbage. Yep. Almost cost him the game. It did. Oh, my goodness. It's Gerald. Here, Eddie. I'm going to put this picture. I'm going to put this picture on MikeyShow.com. This was so funny. We were out yesterday at the game. This picture of this ref that was walking around the parking lot. Yeah, he's there every week. I've never seen it. He's hysterical. The blind dude. The blind ref. I don't know if he goes to the game or not, though. I always want to talk to him. He's there every single home game. He walks around and just walks the parking lot. It's pretty funny. But I don't know if he goes in. Maybe that's his thing. He just likes to be out there. Let's see. 570-1053 is our phone number. You're going to need that number so that we can do this. If you can come into the studio on Friday.
Would you like to win a backstage pass? It's a laminate that you wear around your neck. Would you like to win a backstage pass, get a catered breakfast, and hang out with the Mikey Show in the studio on Friday? If that sounds good to you, call us, 570-1053. Usually, when it's a guy and a girl, it's more fun. Call us, 570-1053. It works just like Dumb Chick Challenge. One, two, and three-point questions. Ones are easy, threes are hard. They're all about the Mikey Show. That's all they are, is about the Mikey Show. They don't deal with any other subject matter but us. So call us, 570-1053. And play. P1 Terry. Yes. How you doing, Terry? Good morning. Good morning, man. How are you? I'm doing well, thank you. How long you been listening? Since I got stationed here in February 06. All right, so two years. Yes. How old are you? I'm 36. All right. Let's see if you can do this. Let's do it. Let's get your competition on the line. It's P1 Jackie. Let's see. I'm waiting for it to be put on hold. Hi, Jackie. Hi. How are you? I'm 23. I didn't ask. Now I did. How many years have you been listening? About three or four years.
Three or four. Cool. You got a leg up on P1 Terry. Here we go, Mama. You ready to do this, Jackie? Oh, yeah. All right. Jackie starts. What do you want? A one, two, or three-point question? Let's start with a two-point question. You got it. Your two-point question is, what show member spent two hours studying their sample ballad before voting last week? That would be Sky. Incorrect. It was actually Ashley who studied for two hours reading her sample ballad. It's not a joke. Yeah. That's crazy. She went on there. She studied up. She can tell you anything about the propositions you want to know. Yeah. Do you want Terry? Let's go with the two, Mike. You got it. Who hosted the flashback hour during the 2008 28-hour show? That would be Boy Blunder. That's correct. Good job, Terry. Terry's tearing it up. He did. Yeah.
Boy Blunder hosted. Did a wonderful job. I love that guy's face. Yeah. His face is so good. It's got beard all over it. So tasty. Covered in beard. Jackie. Yes. What do you want, a one, two, or three? Let's go two again. Two-pointer. What's the name of the P1 that's from Philadelphia who spells his name when he calls in? Oh, my gosh. I know this one. You got it. It's in there. Listen to the question again. Okay. What is the name of the P1 that is from Philadelphia who spells his name when he calls in? P1 Philly. Oh, you're so close. You're so close. That's incorrect. It's P1. P-H-I to the L-L-Y. That's right. It's P1 Philly's finest. Philly's finest is a guy that calls in all the time. P1 Terry, you only need three more points to lock this one up.
You know what? I'm feeling good. Let's seal the deal. You got it. Who on the show has the nickname Fitz or Murph? That's your Skynis. That is you. You guys got to tell me what I do with Jackie. She didn't answer one. She didn't get one correct. Give her a bonus. Why don't we give her a bonus question? All right. It all hinges on this one pointer. Okay. If you can answer this one pointer, you can come in. Are you ready? Yes. All right. Your one point question is, who on the show is considered a hothead? Oh, that would be Boston Raw. You come in. He is a hothead. He is a hothead. He is a hothead. You're a hothead. All right. You both get to come in. Congratulations. Hang on the line. That's nice. There you go. That would have made me feel bad if she didn't get to come in. All right.
text messages that we're getting. Mikey, I agree 100% with Sean and Sky. Any wacko from Fear Factor can do the stunts that you see Bear Grylls do on Man vs. Wild. That's P1 flying Hawaiian. Well, I disagree with that 150%, so I beat your 100%. There you go, you win. Bear Grylls doesn't just eat weird stuff. Bear Grylls puts himself in some very, very Tough situations. I've seen Bear Grylls in freezing water. Dude, what about when he jumped in that bog in Scotland? Disgusting. He does really awful stuff. And then after the shoot? Who cares? Hits the sauna. What don't you get about that? On two occasions, he flew out. I could care less if he does it every time. I wouldn't either. I don't care. It's awesome. It's not the point. Wow, Mikey. It's too bad Pam Anderson didn't say it was a good idea to make a sex tape back when Ash was in college. That's P1. What's happening? Now, you know what that is? That's obviously. Hold on. Where did that come from? Boston Rob. Oh, wow. Our tech screen. We've all changed. We've all grown up a bit. Thank you. Please. Thank you. We all did stupid stuff when we were younger. Come on.
Here is something we have not talked about. What? Apparently, the governor says that he's glad the election's over because now he's going to be allowed back in the bedroom. Well, you know what that means. Maria Shriver, cut him off. She's a demo. Yeah, he said he's bummed that his party didn't win the presidential election. What does it mean, hanky-panky? He doesn't even know. He says he does have one thing to be happy about. He says he can now get back into the bedroom, so that's a big advantage for him. In the bedroom. He then goes on to say that since the election, since Obama won, his wife has been gloating for a few days around the house and runs around the house with a life-size cutout of Obama screaming, we won. What the hell? Are you serious? Can you picture Maria Shrine? This can't be for real. He must be joking when he says that. Oh, he's nuts. I like to play the leaders. Thank you. Thank you. Obama is our governor. Let's see.
I still wear my leather hose every so often. Really? Oh, okay. My leather hose. Right? That's a little private. Obama gets to see the Oval Office today. Oh, yeah. No, he's not. He shouldn't be allowed in there yet. I think he gets a tour. Get out of here. Oh, can he have a tour? No. Why? No. Why? I'm welcome. But he is welcome. Come in January. No, this is what they do. Bush has a lease, and that's like, yeah. But he can still have company over. He doesn't want them. I wonder if you're allowed to put stuff up in the Oval Office. I don't think you are. I don't think they let you hang stuff like a cork board with pictures on it. Like Hendricks posters. I don't think so. That's cool, though. You should. You're the president. You should be able to do whatever you want. My first order of business would be ordering a shark sandwich like they did in the movie The Contender. Just because you could. They can do whatever they want, the president. They can order any kind of food at any given time in the presidential kitchen. And they will make it. Rice pudding. Done. I'd say, yeah.
Can I get a prime rib of beef sandwich? A little bit of horseradish. Not much. We could toast some bread, heirloom tomatoes, and some rice pudding, if you don't mind. Wow. That's a tall order. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They'll do it. Done. Now, how do we feel about Obama turning the bowling alley into a basketball court? Do we like that? Is he doing that? Is that what he's doing? Yeah, that's what I heard, yeah. That'd be sick. Do we care? Is there any... I care because it's going to cost money. Yeah, who's going to pay for it? Who's paying for it? Oprah. It's going to cost a lot of money. If that's the case, then I'm fine with it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. If Oprah pays, I don't mind. But it won't be. As long as it's not taxpayer money, you're cool. Well, how else are they going to do it? You don't know. Maybe he's going to use his audacity of hope money. He's got book money. It's easy. Maybe it's easy. If this were a Republican. Are you kidding? She would right now be spitting on the microphone. Oh, if it comes out that it's taxpayer money that's doing this. Please. Do you smell what Barack is cooking? On you, Republican. I hate you. I hate you. That's what I'm talking about. 570-1053 is our number. Text us, 35253. When we get back. When we come back.
We're going to be talking about what happened in the movies. I don't even know what came out this weekend, but Sky's got it all. All the box office numbers, we'll do that, and we'll take your phone calls, and we'll have fun. Don't go anywhere. He used to eat a lot of natural food until he learned most people die of natural causes. Mikey. Ted, do you have a minute? I've got a problem with my phone. Yes, Mr. Stevens, what's up? Well, my wife signed me up for the AT&T Unlimited text plan, and now my phone keeps beeping. Sir, that's a text message. What? There it goes again. Relax, sir. With unlimited text, you can text as much as you want. But it says Omga. I'm not an Omga, am I? Let me see your phone. It says, OMG, will you answer my text? Stop being such a dork. Well, I was wondering, where do you think they find people with sharp enough hands to cut the potatoes? What? Well, I mean, it would require some pretty sharp hands. No, dude, that's not... You need, like, blade hands. They cut the potatoes by hand with a slicer. I wonder what kind of training is involved. Not a clue. Probably lots of kung fu type stuff. Okay, did you fall on your head today? Yeah. Why? That explains everything. Hey, it's KIOZ San Diego. Oh, Sean. Hit it. Hit it. He's so good. He is so good today. He is so good today. KIA. He is so good today. KIA. Tomorrow on the show, Olympic champion, Sean White. Oh, the flying tomato. Oh, the tomato. Crazy red. Awesome. Crazy red snowboarder. Yes. Uh, yeah. Why don't we talk about what happened at the movies theaters this weekend?
All right. Somebody got charged $45 from Milk Duds. That's probably a fact. So stupid. What do you want? Top three, top five, top ten. What are we talking, Mike? Top three. Top three. The number three movie this weekend, High School Musical 3, Senior Year, making $9.3 million. Okay. Number two movie this weekend, Role Models, making $19.3 million. That's a movie? Yeah. Role Models? Uh-huh. Who's in it? Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott. Love both those guys. I'm on their blogs every day. You don't even know who both those people are. I do. Name a movie that each one of them was in. Paul Mark Gosler was on Saved by the Bell. He's right. Who was the other guy? Zac Efron? Rudd. Paul Rudd. He was Pee Wee Herman. Paul Rudd was Pee Wee Herman. Got caught masturbating in an Orlando movie theater. And he got arrested for it back in the early 90s. That's right. How does that go? Is that him? Yeah, you're dead on, Mike. Pee Wee Herman, right? Dead on, Mike.
Really scary. Really good. And then the number one movie this weekend was Madagascar, Escape to Africa, making $63.5 million. It was one of the... It's an animated movie, right? Yeah, it was the biggest number one movie since The Dark Knight came out. Or as I've called them, cartoon. That's a cartoon, right? Yeah, I think so. Isn't that a cartoon? Did Sean go see it? Yeah, did you go, Sean? Oh, yeah. It did not go, but I'll go this weekend. Thank you. It looks really good. Some other stuff happening in the world. Animated feature films. Wow. Hey, Sky. What's up, bro? Talk to me about the three employees at Dave & Buster's that got shot yesterday morning. What is that all about? Dude. This is crazy. So the Dave and Busters, Mission Valley, late Saturday night, a group of people got in a fight late Saturday night, early Sunday morning. When this all went down, it was about like 1230 in the morning. So just half hour after midnight. But anyway.
So a group of people got in a fight with the security at Dave & Buster's. Three guys and one gal had to be removed from the building. They started a fight outside with security. Security ended up having to, like, pepper spray them to get them to chill out. At that point, they took off, got into two separate cars. One was a green BMW. The other one was a black Civic. And as they drove away, the driver of the BMW shot a couple shots from a handgun at the security people and the employees outside. So two security people and an assistant manager were hit, were shot outside Dave & Buster's. They say the injuries were not considered life-threatening, and obviously the shooter took off. So they're still looking for him. What a dummy, because there's no doubt that guy's going to prison. Like, no doubt. Like, because he will be caught. There's no way he's not going to be caught. Someone's going to know something. There's going to be security footage somewhere. I mean, dude, they saw you, bro. They saw you. They saw the guys you were with. And so you're going to spend time in prison now. Let's see. It's supposed to get really warm.
Between now and the weekend, every day it's getting hot in here. So hot. So hot. Alex Trebek said it's getting hot in here. So hot. So take off all your clothes. Oh, hello. Off with the jammies. Yeah. It's raining like yesterday in Julian. They got an inch of rain in Ramona, about half an inch of rain. The rain really hit North County yesterday. Strong winds like 50 miles per hour in the mountains. And like Mikey said, today's going to start a warming trend. And by the weekend, we could be seeing 90 degree temperatures inland. Come on. I may remove my shawl. That's right. My wife and I are so different. She we we go to church at. 5.30. That's what time church starts. We go to North Coast Church on Saturday night starts at 5.30. Well, I loved it in the summertime when it was hot and sunny out there and we would get out and it would still be daylight. We went this weekend and it's dark. I don't like that. She loves that. Really? Yeah. She loves that weather. She loves that clouds and all. And I'm like, give me warm. Give me sun. Give me that. Can't do it.
I like some sort of sign that we're changing seasons. Like what? Like the darkness, the trees, the leaves falling, the wind blowing, the sprinkles. I love that. Appreciate it. Creepy. Creeps me out. I don't know. It creeps me out. Well, that's creepy. Yeah, that's creepy in itself, right? The fact that it creeps me out is creepy. No, I'm with you, Mike. The only thing that I like is like that winter smell that you get where it smells like fires. Like chimneys. I like that. I love that smell. I do. I like a bright, real bright, sunny morning, and you smell fireplace. I like when it's real bright like that, but it's real crispo. You know? Yeah. Like chili. Yeah, that's cool. I like cinnamon crispas. Oh, I like Cinnabon. Those are good. Yes. Those are definitely delicious. I like Cinnabon so bad. I like Cinnabon. Mini Cinnabon. I think we're getting off topic. I'll only eat half of it and get the rest of Rob. Oh. All in on that. And he'll act like he's going to eat it and take it and throw it away. Give it to Al. That's right. 570-1053 is the number. We announced this earlier. It was breaking news that Bear Grylls is better and cooler than Lestrade. And that is not the breaking news. It was Lestrade who was better and actually has to retire because of the toll it took on his body. Because he's actually doing the gas. Took a bore toll. Took a bore toll. Absolutely. They call it a bore toll. Bored himself out.
How's Chi the bass player from the Deftones? Well, Chino, you know, the singer of the Deftones, has been doing updates on their website to update everybody. Now, Chi is the bassist for the Deftones, who was seriously injured last Monday in a car crash up in Northern California and was reportedly in a coma. He goes, what do you mean? I go, well, if you wear a seatbelt, it's probably not going to be your time. If you don't wear a seatbelt, then you're helping it to be your time. Yeah, you can play Russian roulette, too. Yeah, exactly. And you could be like, well, when it's my time, it's my time. Let me spin this barrel and pull the trigger. And just because you're not wearing a seatbelt doesn't mean you're going to die. I mean, you could spend the rest of your life a vegetable in a bed, and people got to take care of you. Yeah. That's the thing. They don't even realize. I've been in a few bad, bad car accidents, and I wasn't wearing a seatbelt in one of them. Yeah. And I went through the airbag, which burnt my whole face. Dude. And I spidered the windshield. I almost went through it, but the airbag kept me from going through it. And they didn't think, like, I got to find this picture because they didn't think that my face was going to heal. Because the airbag burnt me so bad. And my whole face was just, like, raw. Like, just no skin on it. Just burnt up. Thank goodness for that airbag, dude. And, I mean, it's just, like, the little things. You know, even a little fender bender. We were going about, like, 35, 40, though. But, I mean, little things, you know, can hit you and mess up your back. Wear it. Yeah, after that, I will not. I yell at my little brothers. They get in the car. Me too. They don't wear their seatbelt?
My brother does that, too. It's always a brother. Yeah. Tell your brothers, will you? Yeah, everybody tell your brother. Your brother's not wearing a seatbelt. Speaking of brothers, we got one on the phone right now. It's P1AO. Hey, there it is. My favorite brother. What's up? Oh, man, I got that fettuccine with the broccoli, but then, you know, me, brother liked chicken, so I had to get the chicken. Oh, dude, don't be playing into that stereotype. I got the fried chicken sub. What's up? Really? There it is. Oh, Mike, really? There it is. Really?
