The Mikey Show moved from studio comedy to serious caller dilemmas: The Boo spent 90 minutes fighting Eddie's corroded faucet, Sean explained his paper-towel zipper ritual, and the cast ridiculed Boston Rob's unsafe turkey history. Mikey, Skye, Eddie, Ashley and callers debated whether love or respect matters more, generally choosing respect because affection without dignity can become belittling or abuse; later they argued over Elizabeth withholding sex and chores while pressing her boyfriend of three years to discuss marriage, and Skye defended a woman proposing. Weekend Worry Wars brought P1 Alexa's alarming report that her pregnant 17-year-old sister was expecting a second child while Alexa's boyfriend was suspected of stealing school laptops, plus P1 Alex's plan to ask an intimidating ex-military father for permission to marry his daughter. The show also reported Ryan Leaf's resignation after allegedly requesting a prescription pain pill from a player, crowned P1 Rob's unfinished drunken dragon the worst tattoo, marveled at an Arizona jogger who carried an attacking fox for a mile, and ended with Mikey apologizing for behavior during his alcoholism and describing Christian fai
What happened, in order
The ancient faucet
The Boo spent about 90 minutes wrestling a corroded faucet out of Eddie's condo while rust fell into his eyes and Eddie and Skye watched.
Sean's zipper ritual
Sean explained that he uses a paper towel to avoid touching his zipper and belt buckle, which is why he sometimes forgets to zip his fly.
Ryan Leaf resigns
The crew reported that Ryan Leaf resigned from West Texas A&M after allegedly asking one of his players for a prescription pain pill.
Boston Rob cooks turkey
Boston Rob insisted he could cook Thanksgiving turkey despite previously mishandling the thawing and broiling it until the top burned while the inside was not done.
Love versus respect
Mikey challenged the cast and callers to choose between love without respect and respect without love, and most chose respect because humiliation made affection feel false.
Alexa's double crisis
P1 Alexa said her 17-year-old sister was pregnant with a second child while her boyfriend was suspected of stealing laptops from the school where he worked.
Permission from the father
P1 Alex planned to wear a new suit and take his girlfriend's intimidating ex-military father to dinner to ask permission to marry her.
Elizabeth demands an answer
After three years together, Elizabeth stopped having sex with and cleaning up after her boyfriend because he refused even to discuss their future or marriage.
The texting arms race
Callers competed over enormous monthly text counts and bills, culminating in claims of 12,000 to 16,000 messages and charges as high as $2,000.
The fox mile
An Arizona jogger reportedly ran a mile with an attacking fox clamped to her arm so the animal could be captured and tested for rabies.
The worst tattoo wins
P1 Rob won tattoo removal for an unfinished dragon his brother started while both were drunk, a design no shop had agreed to cover in 12 years.
Mikey's recovery testimony
Mikey apologized for rude behavior he could not remember from his alcoholism and said Christian faith gave him recovery, presence and hope.

It's getting to you. It is getting to you. I can tell to the president elect Barack Obama. Greetings and congrats. My human partner and I were so very happy that our country has voted for you. I have read in all the papers, though I prefer the London Times, that you and your family are looking for a pet partner, mostly a doll. Please believe me. I have nothing but respect for them, though they are. unlike my people, need much, much, much more attention. And with the busy life you've just inherited, a dog could complicate things. A busy morning. Madam Obama getting the girls ready for school. We all know that it's a known fact that when you give kids chores, they do them, but not always consistently. I'm Adina J. 604. Well, I hate to start the morning out like this, but the governor said yesterday he wants to raise taxes on things like golfing.
booze, sporting events, and much more to pay the state deficit. Those are all my favorite things. That's not cool. It's called the Eddie tax. He did everything right but win. Brady Quinn had a big game, but the Browns blow another fourth-quarter lead, lose to the Broncos 34-30. Brandon Marshall talks about how they got done. Coming to this game, I told everybody, it's not so much trying to get our swagger back as far as the whole game. We just need to put a drive together and score. And we did that. And we got down. We had some turnovers. And, of course, I dropped a couple balls. And at the end, Eddie Royal. Eddie Royal got that momentum and got us in the end zone. And everybody fed off of that. How about that? Crazy. Eddie, do you think that Brady Quinn, is he for real? Like, is he going to be? Big time. Big time. Big time. Yeah, he's real good. He's real mobile.
I thought that he was a little inaccurate at times, but he'll figure it out, and he's real talented. I'm always excited when it's young players. I always get excited about young guys. They'll be around for a long time. Yeah. Let's see. 570-1053 is the phone number, so you can call us at the beginning and end of every show. Call us right now. And talk about whatever you want to. And then our text number is 35253. And don't forget, P1 answering machine, 858-715-1923 is the phone number if you want to use the P1 answering machine. Love to hear from you on that. Let's introduce. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. And I'm 38 years old. And hopefully this weekend. We'll have a weekend where I can get a little bit of sleep and rest up a little bit and take a couple of nights. You've been partying too hard. Yeah, you know, that's the thing. I'm a party animal. You've been raging a little much. Absolutely. What he's all about. That's right. And I know. That's right. You know how it is, Ashley. Let's see. Eddie is our producer, our sports guy.
Yeah. And he's 35. He rocks. That's right, he rocks. He does not party. He does not. He's like homebody. That's right. Hermit crab. Let's see. Hermit crab. What's up? Skye's our newsie. She's rocking it. Yep, I got it on, Mike. Rocking the black headband that Skye is. What up? She is 31 years of age and got curly cues. Where is Shawnee, oh boy? It's not working. Is it not working? It's not? Great. No. Are you logged on, Sean? Yeah. Can't see you. That's a stupid thing. Right. Shani is our sound effects guy. Shani, give us a little taste of what you do. His face. There it is. That's what he does. He plays sound effects from the Bay Area. He's up in the Bay Area, and usually we see him on a camera, but the camera's not working right now. We'll get it fixed. And Ashley is our assistant producer. She's 25 years old. That's right. There she is. She's got blonde hair. And she is going to team up with Boston Rob. Yes. And take on Sky and Eddie as partners. They're going to be partners. Next Thursday at Qualcomm. Paintball.
It's brutal. It's going to be awesome. Dream come true. Always wanted to paintball. That's right. Not so much for me. Boston Rob is, he's our man about town. And he has a goatee that's getting longer and longer. Kind of, it gets to this point and it kind of stays. It stays? Yeah. Doesn't really grow long enough? I wish it would. Get longer and grow fuller. He's very Jim the Anvil Neidhart. Yes, he is. I appreciate that. You're welcome. That's great. Thank you. I just wanted the highest compliment. There he is. And then there is the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Jr., Esquire, MD, DDS, President, and CEO. As seen on TV. Boozy. Old Man Baker. That's Old Man Baker. That's crazy. That's right. What's he doing? Zethian Oates. He is our phone screener, so you can call us now and hear his voice, hear his lovely bones. All right. 570-1053. Give us a call. Say hello. Talk about whatever you want. Talk about the game last night.
Talk about there being a game on a Thursday night. Talk about TV last night. Talk about what's going on in your life. Ask questions. Whatever. You can do whatever you want. 570-1053. And we also have two winners in the studio today. We got Melisa. Is that how it's pronounced? Melisa? There she is. Love her. Yeah. Melisa is 24 years old. And she does male... enhancement products for a living. That's what she does. What's up? I don't know why Eddie's giving her the what's up. Doesn't hurt to have a couple extra. We're not all the boo. This is interesting. She's also into clinical nutrition. Is that why she brought in donuts? That's part of the nutrition program. That's our nutrition. I'm on board. It's like a two on the point system. I'm all the way in. You got to talk real loud because we can barely hear you off mic. It's like a health food under $5 for whatever mini parcel it is. Sure. I agree. So she didn't want to break the bank on us. That's what she's saying. Gotcha. I got you. I get it. And then we got P1 Mike.
He's in here, too. Hi. And he won. He won P1 Trivia. And he works for Culligan Water. Oh, Ashley. Cheers to you, sir. That's right. For everything you represent. And he's traveled all over the place riding his BMX bike. Do you do that competitively? That's cool. Yeah. It rides those bikes. I cannot do that. No. I thought you used to do that competitively. Weird. I did for a year. Yeah. You know, when I was like four or five. You mean four years old? I remember that. They called it the mini league. Oh, that is weird. Let's talk to a couple of you guys. This is P1 Ron Mexico. Hey. What's going on there, Tiger? What's up, Bubba? I just wanted to say good morning to you guys. And I wanted to give a shout out to my fiance, Vanessa Hernandez.
Congratulations on graduating Povera College. She's now an RN nurse. There you go. Very cool, man. How long did it take her? Only 15 brutal months. Oh, wow. Well, it's cool, man. Now she's going to get to go out into the workforce and get it done. Now I got a sugar mama. There you go, dude. Quit your day job. Thanks, bro. P1 Mike. Yes, I have a question for Sean where he got that sound effect that goes, Pippet is a dog, and it is a dog that leaves Earth in the movie Jaws.
He's just in a shark. Just inside a shark. He's now an underwater dog. Dog goes in the water. The shark's in the water. Pippet's in the water. Pippet. I can't find Pippet. Is Pippet playing in the shark's mouth again? All the blood. He can't stop doing that. Playing in the shark's mouth. He really loves it in there. That's so great. Eddie, what do you think is going to happen to D'Angelo Hall, who got cut after eight games with the Raiders? He cleared waivers. That means he is a free agent and can sign with any team he wants. Whoa. That is so crazy. Yeah. So, should be interesting. I wonder what will happen with this guy. He'll be signed real quick. Yeah? Yeah. And I guess start playing real quick, right? I would assume so, yeah.
I will predict that he is signed by tomorrow with the team. I will predict he is signed by Tuesday. That's an interesting prediction. Thank you. You're wrong. I put a lot of research into that prediction right there. I spent all night. Mikey, do you think my boss would be offended if I gave her an alarm clock? That's P1 LPG. Uh-oh. What's wrong with that? I don't think so. I think it's nice. Well. Yeah. Well, if there's something behind it. You know what I mean? If the boss is always late to work and you have to write a song about it and then you give her an alarm clock, then that probably isn't the smartest move as an employee. What if it's a nice one? Nice one. Yeah, nice one. And you're like, hey, I'm just giving you a nice alarm clock. I don't know why you're all. I mean, it could be viewed as passive aggressive. I'm not an expert on the subject. I'm just saying. Mikey, a guy I have been seeing asked me what's the importance of the label boyfriend, girlfriend, because he doesn't like it. Help me out with a response. That's P1.
Mel Toy. Hey, Mel Toy, is your boyfriend's name Mel? Because that's, I think, what he's trying to make you into is Mel Toy. Yeah, great call. Yeah, guys always say they don't like labels when they want to sleep with somebody without, you know, committing to them. Yep. Ding, ding, ding. That's what guys do. They go, yeah, it's labels. What's up with those? Who needs him? And then they can come back later and be like, wait, you're not my girlfriend. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, and if a guy, like, loves you to death, he wants you to be his girlfriend. He will beg you to be his girlfriend. Exactly. Exactly. He will say, I'm begging you to be my girlfriend. Please. You know what I'm saying? 5701053. Today we are going to, by the way, announce the winner of the worst tattoo contest. Yes. It's been voted on. It's been voted on at MikeyShow.com. And it's just, they're horrendous. What can I tell you? These tattoos are, well, they're awful. Man, I hope Rob's throat tattoo wins. Please. I've been pulling for it. It could be for the best. Keep your fingers crossed. The best. It really would.
It would be for the best if he were to get it removed. It would be for the best. The best thing for his future. You're saying that wrong. Yes. Wrong. Yeah, for those of you that don't know, Rob has a tattoo of the word Boston on his throat. It's sweet. Yeah, Rob, if we ever go our separate ways in life, heaven forbid. You and me? Yeah. I hope not. Yeah. When you're 80, you need to email me a picture of how that's looking. Oh, I will. With the saggy neck. Please, yeah. Saggy neck. I can get Botox. I can get Botox. The neck will always look good. Okay. All right. I wonder if that will change, you know, over time, if the Boston tattoo will change. Like, will it ever get to a point where you can't tell that it says Boston, or will it always be legible? What do we think? Well, that really gets saggy on me. Right now, I thought it said Piston when I was looking at it. I was like, is he from Piston?
Is that Pippet? Pippet! Pippet! Oh, wow, look at that. He loves the film. He does. Big fan. Just loves it. Yeah, 570-1053. Text number 35253. And you can call us at the beginning and end of every show with anything you want to talk about. Let's see. Police are looking for a teenager who allegedly stole a car and then... Led police on a chase. Yeah, they say this guy's possibly a high school student, but obviously, and they also say that they know who this person is, but they can't release any information because this person is a minor. But it happened just before 1 o'clock yesterday, about near 54th and University Avenue. A teenager behind the wheel allegedly stole a car. Ended up leading police on a chase, then crashed into an electrical box, got injured, but still hopped out of the car and booked it, took off on foot, and the police weren't able to catch the kid. They got a helicopter and everything to search for the kid, but still got away. But like I said, they do know who this kid is and are still looking for him. Really? Yeah, crazy. He's out there on the loose. Yep. Daniel Craig, who plays James Bond.
He says that it's time for a black James Bond. Yes, but he's James Bond. Yeah, he was at the premiere of the new James Bond movie at the International Film Festival in Rome, and he said, yeah, it's time for a black James Bond. He said if we can have a black U.S. president, then we can have a black James Bond. I'm black and I'm proud. Why don't they just do to him what they did to Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder? That's the chocolate I'm talking about. And then he can become the black James Bond that he... Yeah, for sure. Great idea. Get in touch with his inner black Bond. I think McChuckman. Yeah. That'd be great. Dude. Right? That'd be great. He sells any role he's in. That's right. Mama said knock you out. So hot. Nope. It's getting hot in here. So hot. So hot. So take off all your clothes. That's right. Did you guys hear about the carjacking at the Burger King and PB? What? No. Yeah, this happened yesterday about 3 o'clock in the afternoon. You know, the Burger King and PB, Mission Boulevard near Reed Avenue. And I guess this guy was getting stuff out of the trunk of his car when another guy came up to him and pointed a handgun at him and demanded the keys to his car.
Smart guy. And just gave the dude his key. He said, here you go. Take it. You know, you don't want to mess with somebody when they're holding it. He said Pippet. He said Pippet. He goes, there you go, Pippet. Pippet. I didn't read that. Come on, Pippet. Pippet. I read it. So, you know, we can put it out there. I read it, but he said Pippet. According to Mike, he said Pippet and then gave him the keys. Smart man. So, obviously, the dude got away in the car, so they're looking for a man in his 30s, around 5'6", last seen wearing a blue jean jacket. Oh, wow. Fresh. Yeah. Very hip. A blue jean jacket. Very in style, Mike. Yes. Straight from Milan. Yeah. That's right. This happened in... Lakeside, you said? Yes. For real. How are you going to find him then? That's not fair. Yeah. Everybody wants to know, you know, when Barack Obama gave his acceptance speech, kind of where Paris Hilton was with the whole thing. Nobody wants to know. Cut one. No. No.
How do you feel now about Obama becoming the new leader of our country? It's so exciting. I was so happy. I had all my friends over and we were watching. I was literally crying just watching it. Not figuratively. She was not figuratively crying. She was literally crying. Some people may have thought that way. Yeah, in case people were like, well, what do you mean? Right. Crying. What does that mean? Do you mean crying like in the way where your face says, I'm crying? Right, right. So it's like a figurative way of saying I'm crying, but you're not literally crying. He's always crying. You're crying in a figurative way. I get what you're saying. What do you want? You want the tears to come out of my eyes? Literally. For real. I almost cried. Eddie, are you still working on your condo? Uh-oh. Sky just... It's okay. It's all right. Everybody sneezes. She had a sneeze, but it was more of an attack. What was the question? I'm sorry. Wow. Your condo. Wow. I wanted to know about your handiwork over at your condo. We had a good day yesterday. Oh, wow. Was that fun? Sky, you were there? Oh, yeah. The boo and Sky came over.
Because the Boo is a handyman. Yeah. And he's much more manly than I am. And I was replacing my kitchen faucet, which I thought, you know, Sky told me, oh, Boo can do it in like 20 minutes. Yeah. It'll be super easy for him. Yeah. I'm like, all right, you know, that sounds good. You know, it'll take me forever to try and figure this out. So absolutely, have him come over tomorrow and we'll do it up. So he came over and the faucet was pretty old. Pretty old. It was pretty old. I think it was the very first faucet ever made. And unfortunately, when that happens, it gets a little corroded and rusty. Rusty, yeah. And the bolts, the nuts and bolts, weren't coming off. Uh-oh. And it took the boo probably... I'd say an hour and a half to get that faucet yanked out of there? Yeah, just to get the bolts out. Just the bolts?
Oh my. He's under the sink. Pieces of rust are falling into his eyes. His eyes are now like, have these like, you know, when you burst capillaries and they're all like bloodshot in there. I don't know if it's from the rust falling in there or if it's from the like exertion to try and get that like bolt undone. But his eyes are all bloodshot. Wow. Yeah. It was crazy. But it finally came out. Eddie and I are sitting there chatting. The booze dripping sweat. We're like, we'll be over here. I read a note from Eddie this morning on his yesterday email that says, Sky ate a side of rice right in front of me. Sky just gave him an international hand signal. It was unbelievable. Were you in shock? I'm like, really? You're going to do that? Okay. What am I supposed to do? Eat something that's going to upset my tummy? What am I supposed to do? Toot all the way home? What? I wanted Mexican food and the only one I could have. Shut up. Knowing that I was going to be there, I would think that she would be smart and not order that, but ate it right in front of me.
You're so dumb. I was in shock. You are so dumb. I was in shock. How dare you mention that? What? Wow. It happens. I thought we were friends. Wow. Why do you have to remind me how much I long for a quesadilla? Can't do it. Can't do it. Oh, how I would love to wrap my lips around a quesadilla. Can't do it. If only I could have that yummy jack cheese. Cannot play with them. Genius. It was a side of rice. Exactly. What a genius about it. I thought it was just myth. You are the worst, man. Is that all you ate? Yes. Oh, come on. You had to have something else. I haven't been feeling well lately, so I haven't been eating that much, and the boo wanted me to go pick him up some tacos, and so I did, and I knew I needed to eat something, so I got a bite of rice and ate a couple bites of it. I don't know what you want from me. You enjoyed that sucker for its fullest. Okay, calm down. Calm down. I mean, it's like, remember when the guy sent us the video?
Because it was very much like that. There was a guy that was getting a hamburger or something over at this hamburger joint. And right next to it is the honey baked ham store. And he saw Skye walking into the honey baked ham store. And so he grabs his camera and from a distance, he videos her. And sends us the video. It was like that famous Bigfoot footage. No, it's nothing like that. It was so like that. It's like the Zabruder film. If I could have filmed her eating that side of rice, I would have. Dude. She would have attacked. When you first saw it, were you like, because this is myth on the show, you know, like this is legend. It's just rice. People eat it every day. Did she look at you and go, I am legend. She looked at me and goes, don't look at me. And I go, what do you mean? She goes, don't look at what I'm eating. And I go, oh, yeah, baby. What's up? What is up? S-O-R. Side of rice. Yeah. What's up, sore? Oh, man. It was great. Stayed my day. Okay, I'm sure. I'm sure. Once again, Sean walked around the office for at least three hours yesterday with his fly down, and no one said a word. In a safety pin. Yeah. It's just like, I'm having. I'm having.
What are you turning into? Like somebody's grandpa? I don't know, okay? Sean, tell everyone your zipper ritual. You have a ritual for your zipper? I've seen this. I've seen him walk out of a bathroom. I don't like to touch the zipper because it's, you know. There are lots of little crevices and things, and you never know what's getting stuck on there. And even after it comes out of the dryer or whatever, stuff gets caught on it. It's metal, and so I don't like to touch it. And so I always save it for last. And I just get a paper towel, I take it, I pull it up. But it's very tedious. And that's why I save it for last. And so invariably, because I save it for last, I forget. After I do everything, after I do, you know, putting all the clothes back on, doing the hand washing, waiting for the right temperature of the water, blah, blah, blah, blah. By the time I get all that done, and I don't like to touch the belt buckle either, after I get all that done, I forget. And that's what I did yesterday. Oh. Oh.
So Sean saves the zip for life. Yes, he does. It's a gorgeous song. But honestly, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. I mean, obviously, I've got to change something. Sweatpants, bro. Oh, yeah. Pull them up. Make the switch. Yeah, maybe you could find a pair of pants that just don't have a zipper, like a pair of shoes that don't have strings. What would those be? Uncle Sean, find some zippers in his pants. You need to get some pippers. Pippers. There's no such thing. There's no such thing. It's pants without zippers. They're called pippers. Pippers like to pip. Pippers like to piss. There's no such thing. How do you know, Sean? Pippers, Pippers. Eddie, there's no such thing as Pippers. I don't know that. Yeah, I think we can safely assume that there's no such thing. YouTube it, Uncle Sean. YouTube it because there's nothing to find. There's nothing to see. There's nothing to see. He is. No. Yeah, dude.
I YouTubed it last night, dude. He's very YouTube savvy. I was on Pippers.org. Oh, wow. It's an organization. No, it's a fetish, dude. Sean's acting like he doesn't know. All right, please. You're the moderator. Oh, Sean. Is that true? My nephew in bed, though. Oh, Shawnee. Text messages we're getting at 35253. Mikey, I hope that the boo can still sing okay with the rust in his eyes. I got front row tickets for the boo donkeys this weekend. That's what you want, Hayden. Whatever. There's no such thing. fantastic. Love it. I know. There was one time he came out from under the sink and he shook out his hair like a supermodel. He looks at us, he's like, is my hair okay? We just started laughing. Oh, that's awesome. This text says, I heard the carjacker and PB snuck up behind the guy and yelled, Spugget! Oh, no! That must have been scary. The guy dropped his keys and ran. That'll do it.

We've got this one accident coming out of San Clemente as you head down to San Onofre. There was a bad accident that was blocking the right lane here just past Bassalone Road. Emergency crews are on the scene, and you will find a backup on the approach there, so be careful. Getting past that, you're looking pretty good. Down the rest of the county shoreline, there is a stalled-out big rig, though, on the Encinitas Boulevard off-ramp from South 5, so be careful there as well. South 15, you've got the usual soda developing now out of Escondido up to 78th of your Rancho Parkway.
East County's looking good. South Bay traffic moving right along. 805 Northbound, though, does bunch up briefly through North Park. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. The police officer outside your car is staring at you like you have two heads. Turns out, you do. You explain to the officer that the lobster costume you're wearing is a tribute to Rubio's for braving the cold blue waters off the coast of Chile to bring back succulent langostino lobster. Unfazed, the officer asks, why were you swerving? Tough to grip the wheel with claws, sir. He clicks his pen menacingly and starts writing. You continue to plead your case. Honestly, who can resist the bold Beach Max flavor of a Rubio's burrito filled with decadent langostino lobster, freshly made guacamole, and a creamy chipotle picante sauce? As you take the ticket with your pincher, the officer says, Son, it's a good thing Lobster Beach Max isn't expensive, because you're going to need a lot of fancy lawyering to get out of this one. Langostino Lobster is back. In tacos, burritos, and now a two-street taco plate for just $4.99. Only at Rubio's. This is The Mikey Show. Feat featuring Mikey. I think I have an issue with numbers and letters. Read them. I really do. Eddie. I have my knowledge in my head. He's the oracle. I don't need notes, Skye. When my hands become saturated in water, the palms get, like, disgusting. They look like...
A frog. Sean. Most of you listening right now, I don't like you. Okay, wait. I don't like you very much. Boston Rob. Do you guys know that if I don't write stuff on my hand, I'm an idiot? And Ashley. Just because I like oyster stuffing does not mean that I am an oyster. You keep saying it, oyster, but you know the real deal. The Mikey Show's on. Top of the morning to ya. Rock 105.3. I'm behaving pretty maturely myself. Well, he just threw a napkin at my head for no reason. I mean, I was in the middle of reading some news. It takes me in the head. I mean, I didn't even see it coming. I wasn't even looking. Oh, my gosh. Sky, grow up. Welcome back. It's 640. Well, the rumors were true. Last night, both Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake joined Madonna at her show in L.A. Mike, you're going to want to kill the music for this one. Oh, no. Oh, no. Come on, dude. What are you doing here? It's good news, right? Is it good news? Do you have good news?
I have a Ryan Leaf update. Come on. Remember him? Yeah. Last I heard, he's a quarterback's coach for a high school, I think? No, it's a college, West Texas A&M. Okay. And, well, he's been doing that for a couple years. Yeah. Well, he had to resign over a drug scandal. What? What the hell? Apparently, he asked one of the kids on the team for a pill. Because he was feeling a little sore. What? He asked for a pain pill from one of the college students. Really? Yeah. Which is highly illegal. So the college student was like, the college student was taking it for whatever. Probably, yeah. Prescription. Yeah. And he's like, hey, man, can I have one of those? Oh, no. Wow. Can I bum one of them? Yeah. Wow. And it got out, and he was obviously in a lot of trouble for that, and he resigned.
and uh is no longer well the thing that is a trip to about it to me is that i don't know and maybe i'm totally out on it i know i'm sure it's like illegal and whatever but i may be out on an island on that one but it doesn't seem like something crazy you know like i i would think that might happen all the time you know Probably. It's a little crazy that a coach would ask a student. When a superior, you know, I'm sure amongst teammates that happens. But I can't imagine a coach asking a team player. I coached Chattanooga a couple of years. I coached in Chattanooga. After your BMX career ended? Yeah, and I would never, ever do that. And so it was because I was a good coach that I would not do that. That's great, Mike. Important. So welcome back, everyone. And it's really nice to have you all here. And my name is Michael. Hi, it's nice to see you. Our phone number is 570-1053. You can give us a call and you can do that even now. I know we only do it at the beginning and end of every show, but I didn't get to take a lot of calls. So call us. So Zeth has DirecTV now.
I guess he got DirecTV now. Awesome! Oh, wow, show off. All right, we get it. Come on. Tyler Perry. Tyler Perry. So rich. So fancy. And it took him five full minutes. He looked at the clock. It took him five full minutes to find NFL Network yesterday. I can't figure it out, man. I'll bring you a guide. How great is that? Not that hard. Go to the website and download it. Go to the internet. What's that? Interweb. Is that the stuff on the inside of Swim Trunks? No. Hey, did you get that NFL Sunday ticket? No. Dude, that thing's good. That thing's good. Probably have a good deal for it right now, too. Yeah, they do. Yeah, that's the whole reason I switched. They got some deal going on, but I'm not Tyler Perry, so no NFL tickets. He's not that rich. Mikey Show. Hello. Yeah, I won't do it then. Let's see. So we have a line open for you called the P1 Answering Machine, 858-715-1923. 858-715-1923. You can use it just like a voicemail for any one of your friends.
Hey, Mikey, what's up? It's P1 Spanky. Hey, you guys are going to let Ashley know that there's a stuff called magnesium nitrate. It's almost like alcohol. She rubs it underneath her armpits. It won't sweat at all anymore. So let her know if she'll stop dripping all over your floor. See ya. Ashley, have you ever used magnesium nitrate? No, where do you get that? Sounds safe. At Magnesium. Real safe. It's at Magnesium Emporium, I think. Do I get some magnesium and then get some nitrate and then mix it? I think you can order it on the internet from Africa. That's right. Go to Magnesium City. It's in Elkhorn. It's good. You have everything there. Hi, this is P1 Claudia, and I do love your show, but you've got to tell Sky that the word is incident. When it's plural of more than one incident, it's incident. The news world should not be running around saying incidences.
This is not right. Skye, did you say incidences? I have no idea. How many incidences of that have happened over the last few days? I'm sure I did. Not an English major. Please. What do these people want from me? Seriously. What is she, Martha Stewart? Just talking with my friends. Thank you, Martha Stewart. Gosh, get off my back. Thank you. Not all of us can function at a sixth grade level. I mean, come on. Hang on. Hey, take it down. Hang on one second. Did you just? Yeah. I heard it. What is she? William Faulkner? Where did she hear that? Where did she hear that? Look at guilt laugh over there. What was William Faulkner? Nice try. He is an amazing, amazing writer. Poet. How do you know William Faulkner? This is going to sound really lame, but I wanted to put a new quote on my MySpace, so I Googled famous quotes. Oh, no. And William Falter came up. And, oh, my gosh, Sky, have you heard of this guy? He is good. He speaks words of wisdom. I couldn't even make up my mind. I was looking at all of his great quotes for, like, a half hour before I finally settled on it. Have you ever heard of Mark Twain?
Thank you. He's a psychologist. I'm not sure. He's a psychologist. I'm not sure. That's my new favorite quote. But he is really good at quotes. And I appreciate that about him. You're William Faulkner's guy? Yeah. Hey, Mikey. I don't know if you can hear me because I'm on my Bluetooth. You guys are awesome. And I just wanted to say that I really appreciate how you guys greet each day and make us all laugh. And, you know, I've been listening for a couple months now. And before, I was actually kind of scared to listen to you guys. I thought you guys were all just, like, UFC fighter, big, like, deep voice type people. My boyfriend turned me on to his phone. I love you guys, so thanks for everything. Eddie is flexing his muscles right now. You don't need to do that. Eddie is doing weightlifting poses. That's pretty awesome. Oh, yeah. That's right. Rob, grease him up. It's so deep.
Text messages, 35253. You guys rock. I'm always sad to walk away from the show, but you're everywhere. I love it. I was listening in my car, went in the store, they were listening. Left the store and the beer delivery guy was listening in the parking lot. Then, of course, I still had the show on in my car, so I missed nothing. P1, that is awesome. That is awesome. Hey, Mikey, this is P1 Obama 2012. Obama. I saw a hybrid drive by and it beeped every three or so seconds. That's Sky's mom at work. Oh, I love it. Has it really gotten done? I don't know. My mom keeps sending me email updates, but hopefully she's listening. But I don't read that. That's right. What am I, William Faulkner? Oh, my Ralph Waldo Emerson. Wait a second. Rob, what's that? I don't know that. I'm not familiar with that one. Sick of it. I'm not familiar with that one. No more funny stuff. I love him. Oracle, what are your picks for the December card of the UFC? That's P1 obese.
Oh, wow. Already going for that card, huh? Wow. I think that Noguera will beat Frank Mir. I think that that Rampage-Vanderlei-Silva fight, I don't know. I don't know how else to think about that one. And what's the other fight? What am I missing? Oh, Forrest? Yeah. How dare you. Forrest Whitaker is taking on Sidney Pottier. That's going to be really incredible. Can't do it. I actually think Rashad Evans is going to beat Forrest Griffin. No. We talked to Rashad Evans. Yeah. His hands are so fast. So fast. So fast. And, yeah, I actually think Rashad's better on the ground. He's better standing up. I think he's going to beat Forrest. Do you really? Yeah. I know. It's in December? Yeah. Huge card in December. What's up with that show, The Ultimate Fighter? Is that thing going on? Oh, yeah. It's crazy.
Really crazy season so far. Is it the most dramatic rose ceremony yet? Yeah, pretty much, yeah. What's going on in that thing? Well, I mean, they're in the middle of the season right now. People are still fighting. They have this crazy guy named Junie on the show who is, like, you're going to see him for a long time because he's outrageous. He's, like, the biggest villain, I think, that's ever been on the show. And, yeah, they're pulling pranks on each other, like, disgusting pranks. Real gross. Yeah. Eddie, what are you doing for Thanksgiving? Where's Thanksgiving going to be? Going up to my folks in the Bay Area. That is good because that means you will not have to cook a turkey. You will be able to enjoy a turkey. Exactly. Skye? I am going to my brother's house. And you will not be cooking any turkey? No.
Rob, will you be putting a turkey under a heat lamp for eight days again? It's a toaster oven, Mike. It's a toaster oven. Yeah, yeah, I'm cooking again. Oh, no, dude. I'm so good at it. You're going to kill somebody. Yeah. After last year, I got it down to a science. You donkey? Yeah, donkey. You'll kill somebody. You do a sage butter underneath the skin of the turkey, and it is delicious. You don't even have sage. That's like grass from your yard. There's nothing wrong with that. Same difference. Rob, how are you going to cook it this year? Well, didn't you try frying it or something? No? No, no, no. He forgot to defrost it. Yeah, that was it. That was it. He forgot to defrost it. Well, I defrosted it too long, so I put it back and then took it back out again. It was like purple, remember? No, I had a purple egg. No, what you're thinking is I put it on broil.
Instead of... He is fantastic. Instead of putting the oven on, and like 20 minutes later, I was going to Gabe. Gosh, this smells great. Dude, it smells so good. I think the turkey's done. We should go mull it out. We took it out, and it looked done. Except the very top was all black and burnt. Yeah, and I was like, oh, just scrape that off. But I was like, I don't think it... Scrape that off. Toast. I'm thankful that I don't have to eat that. Speaking of Rob, you guys, please do this right now. Go on the interweb. Go on the interweb and put in MikeyShow.com. Sky, go to MikeyShow.com. When you get there, I want you to look at new on the show. Alright? When you first sign on, you're going to see 28-hour show pictures and stuff like that because we're still showing pictures of the 28-hour show. But underneath that, you'll see where it says new on the show. Do you see where it says B-Rob's yoga poses? It's the first thing there. Oh, yeah. Who's that stud? This is hysterical. The British cigarette? Robert? We put him in the stupidest outfit ever. Okay, I resent the mood. What's his yoga outfit? Yeah, the yoga poses are named.
It's a sobriety test. Sobriety test. These are not real yoga. Yes, they are. It's your number six. It's the best. So, Rob, you're telling me if people do these at home, they'll get in shape. They do them in my class. Number six. That's all I have to say. Number six. Seven's pretty awesome, too. Wait, I don't know. Wow, Rob. You did a good workout. Oh, dude. You did a good workout. Oh, wow. That is stupid. It's Boston Rob doing yoga poses. Well, his own made-up yoga poses. Yeah, his own made-up yoga poses. His outfit is just tremendous. That's fantastic. I might need Sky's help on that one. Please. No, thank you. Mikey, I missed the announcement yesterday. Who was it that used a port-a-potty for the first time? P1 Creepin' Awkward. Yeah, breaking news yesterday. Oprah Winfrey uses a port-a-potty for the first time in her life on Tuesday. Shocking. First time in her life.
Shocking. All right. So I thought this was pretty interesting. Mikey, dude, I've heard you give advice before, and I'm curious what you think about my girlfriend, who I will call Sarah. Hi, Sarah. Hi, Cheryl. Hi, Cheryl. Hi, Cheryl. Hi, Cheryl. Hi, Cheryl. So he says, I will call her Sarah. Every time we go out with friends, she disses me in front of my boys or whoever we're out with. I hate it. I tried doing it back a few times, but she still does it. I'll say something and she'll say, no, you didn't do that. That's the worst. Yuck. It's embarrassing. How would you handle that? Which kind of made me think. I was thinking this. Call us at 570-1053 or text us at 35253 and answer this question. If you had to be, and I'll ask you, Eddie. If you had to be in a relationship for the next... 10 years with someone and they would respect you like crazy, but not show you love or love you like crazy, but not show you respect. Oh my gosh. Which would you prefer? That is an impossible question. It is an impossible question. Gosh. Yeah. 570-1053. I want to hear from everybody.
I have been in relationships where girls treated me like that. Really? Yeah, absolutely. Where it was all about saying things and doing things that I deemed disrespectful. And it sucked. It was bad. As a man, I think I would choose the respect over the love. Right. Which blows because I think anybody wants to be loved. Yeah, sure. It's an impossible question. But I mean, if I'm disrespected, then I don't feel loved. So it goes kind of hand in hand. 570-1053. Men, women, everybody call. I just want to know what your thoughts are. Skye. Well, yeah. Again, impossible question because I believe love and respect are kind of the same thing. They go together. Yeah. Yeah, I think I would rather have the respect and then I'd go get some love on the side. Oh, yeah. Just being honest. Rob, what about you? Oh, man. Oh, yeah. I don't even want to choose. I know it. I really don't. This is so tough. But I think I would go for the respect. Yeah. Because I think out of that respect, I would feel loved.
Does that make sense? If you were to respect, you would feel love. Because if I wasn't respected, it would be like, well, then there's no love at all there. Even if they were like, if there was no respect, but they loved me like crazy, I feel like the love wasn't real. Yeah. You know, it would be kind of almost placating me. Scott, you feel the same way? Yeah, that's a good point. But the respect, you can kind of, you know, even if they're not loving, you get the respect, like it's showing love. Ash, what about you? Yeah, everyone is making good points because for me, like, I've been in multiple relationships where I just, I get no respect and I get treated like crap and, like, it really kind of, like, destroyed, like, my self-worth. Right. You know, and then it, like, affected me personally, like, myself. Right. In my entire life. Right. Other people. So, which, does that make sense? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, and so I would prefer, I would, respect comes first before anything. Yeah. 570-1053. P1 Jariah? Yes. Which one would you take? Respect. Respect over love? Yes. And you've been on both sides of the coin? Oh, yes. So talk to me. It's just horrible being in a relationship that you don't have any respect because how is it possible to show any sort of slightest chance of love if you don't have any sort of respect for your partner? I agree. I agree. Now, let's examine what it would look like.
OK, if you have all the love in the world, but no respect, here's what it would look like. It would look like maybe a guy that is like saying how beautiful you are, telling you how beautiful you are. He is occasionally sending some flowers to you, telling you kind of, you know, what he feels about you. He is saying to you every once in a while, hey, put that down. You've been working hard. You go lay down and let me do this for you. But if he didn't respect you, because you're, you know, like, let's say that you chose the love, but not the respect. But then the respect part of it, he doesn't have. So when you guys are out to dinner and you say something, he goes, that's not true. No, you didn't. And he's doing that, right? Conversely. You're out to dinner and he says, you know, what do you do? Come on. You didn't do that, but loves you like crazy. Loves you like you wouldn't believe, right? Which would you prefer? The lack of respect or the lack of love? 570-1053. They both have their upsides. They both have their downsides. And they're both big upsides and big downsides.
It's almost an impossible question. Yeah, it is. P1 Moses. Yeah. Which would you prefer? I would definitely take the respect over the love. Yeah? Because, I mean, you know, if somebody respects you, they're going to respect your wishes, they're going to respect your thoughts, and it's going to feel like they care a lot more than somebody who just loves you. Interesting take. Yeah, because, I mean, if somebody just loves you, you know, I mean, that's great, and everybody needs that in life, but at the same time, You know, if they can't respect your wishes for what you want or your goals in life or what you're trying to achieve, what's the point? Right. No, I get you. Appreciate it. P1 Angel. Hey, what's up, man? Hey, man. Yeah, I'm definitely a respect person. I was in a marriage where the girl told me that she loved me more than life itself. But every time we're like with her friends, her family out in public, she would do everything she could to belittle me.
And that's what caused the marriage to be over. So you had the love part. That part she had down. But the respect part she didn't have. Like, oh, I can't believe he does this or that. Or he's so stupid. This is an interesting conversation. Because of all people, I actually had this conversation with Lou Bush. And we were talking about this one time. And how it's a whole concept. The concept of love and respect. And the whole deal. And there's a whole book on it. Let's see. P1 Christina is on the line. Let's talk to P1 Christina. Christina, which one would you take? I would take, I honestly would take respect, but I think that in order for someone to truly love you, the respect's going to come naturally. So I think while we're saying it, they kind of just go hand in hand. So if you could have a, okay, if you could have a guy, the next five years you're going to be in a relationship, and you could either have a guy,
show you all the love in the world, but doesn't really respect you, or a guy that respects you like crazy and is very respectful, opens doors for you, says nice things about you in front of your friends, that kind of deal, but he doesn't ever tell you that you're beautiful, he doesn't ever... No affection. No affection. Which one would you take? I would definitely still take the respect, because I think, like I said, I think... I think, honestly, that's showing that you love someone more, almost, because that's so huge. It's like what someone else said already, that when you respect someone, you know, that you love them, and you're going to respect them because you love them. Yeah, because you can't really buy it as love if you're not respected. Exactly. Oh, oh! Okay, okay. Well, you know, we can't really... We can't... We can't say that word? We can't say that word on the air. We can't say that word. Really? Well, we're not allowed. When did that start? I guess last Tuesday. I'm stunned. Yeah, Barack Obama got elected, and the first thing he did is he said, no more F-word. I mean, out of all the bad words. Starting tomorrow, we cannot say the F-word. No more F-bombs? On the air. Oh, wow. Shut up! Shut up! Hey. Oh, I don't know that I'm believing these women.
Whoa. Hey, what's up? Hey, what's going on over there? That is P1 Maylissa. Maylissa. Maylissa. Maylissa. Maylissa. Maylissa. I think that, yeah, honestly, when people look at it, yeah, you want someone to respect you, but their actions show the opposite. Because you go to any bar, any restaurant, and there's always that classic girl with a guy who's treating them like... Ridiculing them or making fun of them. They always go for someone who's going to love them and then be treated like that versus going for someone who's going to be their friend, respect them, and let it grow into love. I agree with her. I think that I've seen a lot of cases of... of gals going for the wrong guy. You kind of treat her like crap. But, oh, but he's so sweet at home and he treats me so nice. Blah, blah, blah. I see that as immaturity, though. You know, I think a lot of that comes out of immaturity. So if you're talking to, you know, younger people, I can see that being the case more. But I think with, you know, real women, we want to be respected. Yeah. I don't believe you. P1, Stephanie. Real women.
I know. I was just trying to hurt. Stephanie, go ahead. Okay. Well, I personally think that love goes, love and respect go hand in hand. And I would rather choose to be single than just have one or the other. Okay. But since we're putting a gun to your head, but since we're putting a gun to your head, you know, you got to choose. I choose neither. I'm going to change it a little bit. I'm going to change it a little bit. Okay. Stephanie, I'm going to put you with a guy, and you've got to be with this guy the next 25 years. Oh, my gosh. You've got to be with this guy the next 25 years. How old are you? How old are you? I'm 27. All right. You're getting married, and you're going to be with this guy for 25 years, okay? Okay. And at the end of 25 years, you're not going to get a divorce. He's just going to die or whatever. He's going to die of natural causes. Okay. All right. He's going to die of natural causes. He's an older man. He's an older man than you. And so when he dies, he dies at 104. And man, did he sure live a great natural life. Now, over the next 25 years, he is. And I want to let you know that each of these things, each of the options will be genuine. OK, so if he is respecting you, it is with pure and genuine respect. It's not just.
uh a a feigning of respect it's a true respect okay okay and in the love regard it's not just a bunch of words when he says it you can feel that it's true love so you got to be with him 25 years but you have to pick one he's either gonna love you like crazy or respect you like crazy which do you choose Well, you see, I have a husband now who loves me like crazy and respects me like crazy. So I would rather choose death. Okay. But since we have a gun to your head. Okay. But she said she chose death. She chose the gun. Oh, she chose the gun? Yes. The gun didn't work. Oh, no. It wouldn't go off. Okay, seriously. If I had to choose between the two, I would choose respect. Absolutely. I agree with you guys on that. Yeah. But I do think they go hand in hand. And being in relationships where you're not respected and you definitely don't feel loved, and just like Ashley said, it totally destroys your self-worth. Yeah. And, you know, you definitely don't want that. You definitely want to be respected. But I've had guys who thought they loved me like crazy, so they respected me, but then it was, like, kind of overboard. So it kind of goes hand in hand where they love you like crazy, but you have their limits, you know, so it's good.

Okay, Simmons Beautyrest. Isn't that what you have, Sky? Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Simmons Beautyrest. It was a $6,000 mattress they gave to me for half price. Whoa. That's awesome. And they threw in pillows, a sheet set, a bed frame, and a mattress pad. Word. What? For free. That's the way it goes at Sleep Train. That's true. Oh, I bet it's so freaking comfortable. Steelers running back Willie Parker is out with an injured shoulder. He's going to miss the game against the Colts. Oh, wow. Okay.
I am definitely realizing how I'm going to have to set the question up because people are kind of misunderstanding the question, the question about respect and love. Yeah. See, you don't ever get the other no matter what. Unless you cheat. In my hypothetical question. In my hypothetical question. See, some people are making the leap that, okay, well, if you get loved. respect will come with it. Or if you get respected, love will come with it. In the hypothetical question, you only get one or the other. It will never come with it. For the next 25 years, you will never experience the other. You only get to choose one.
And one will not become the other. See, people are applying it to, like, real life and what would happen. Yeah, this ain't real life. This is a Mikey show. This is a Mikey show, man. This is a strange question, a hypothetical. Hypo. You don't get the other. So the question one more time is, next 25 years, go ahead and clear the phone lines out, Rob. Clear the phone lines out because everybody's saying love will become respect. Respect will become love. You don't get the other. So you've got to imagine you're in a 25-year relationship, and for the next 25 years, you're either going to have somebody that loves you like crazy but doesn't respect you or respects you like crazy but doesn't love you, and it will never become the other. You've got to choose one and do without the other. That's how it goes. Mikey, what the heck is with this question? It's like asking, would you rather get shot in the neck or stabbed in the face? Both suck. It's P1 Hester. This one says, Mikey, give me loving. If I don't get respect, I'll just take her. I just won't take her anywhere. That's P1. Martyr made oil. Very smart. Let's see. This one says, Mikey, respect is much more important. Words are cheap, but it's the actions that really matter. That's P1 respect. Mikey, P1 Christina has it right.
What she just said is really true. Respect comes from love. But see, not in this case. In this case, you got to choose one. And even in real life, it really doesn't. Because I have literally been in a relationship where the love was 100% there, but he did not respect me and verbally abused me and then would feel bad because he loved me so much and would buy me flowers. But he would still, the next day, verbally abuse me again and buy me more flowers. It's just a constant rotation. So you got to ask yourself, which would you rather have? 570-1053 or you can text message us. 35253. By the way, thank you very much. Oh, you guys are so excited right now. To Divine Postabilities. When Rob told me or when Seth told me what they were bringing today. I actually pumped my fist and said yes, yes, yes. Divine Pastabilities. 3545 Midway Drive. And they brought us the Thanksgiving sandwich. And what does he call it? The Thanks Speedo. And yeah, it's pretty cool, man. It's got like turkey and cranberry sauce and it's got all the stuff in there all together. That's your fave, Mike. Stuffing and mashed potatoes. I love that. Okay. Love it. All the Thanksgiving goodies. Yep. So you can find them at torpasta.com and thank you to them because they help us out all the time by catering food for our guests that we have in the studio. So delicious. It's so good. It's really good. It's so delicious. It's so good. That was the delicious guy. Oh, my bad. Mikey Show. Oh, definitely the respect. Definitely the respect. Yes. If you can't have respect over the next 25 years, you would freak out, right?
Yeah, I mean, come on. I mean, you know, I understand the love part, but you know what? Love kind of fades, and it's there, and it's not always lovey-dovey. But you know what? Not in this case. See, in this case, you chose respect. So for the next 25 years, the respect will never fade. It will be there. It will be pure. You get it. And in this example, so does love. In the example, you get one or the other, and you get it great, but you don't get any of the other. I definitely respect. There you go. There you go. I think Ashley made a great point when she said when you're not respected by your partner, it really tears you down and affects all aspects of your life. How does it feel not being loved by your partner? Yeah.
Well, it's just like somebody who doesn't have a boyfriend or a girlfriend at the time. You're going to go through life with somebody you live with and have them not love you? A marriage where they don't love you? You're cool with that? Well, I mean, it's not ideal, but it's not as bad. I could still love myself and respect myself, but if my partner didn't respect me, it would tear me down, and I'd end up not loving myself or respecting myself. Yeah, now, what is not respecting you? What would that look like? I have a lot of examples. Give me an example. Well, this is this is what happened with the relationship I was in. Like, for example, like if he if he wouldn't maybe he would meet somebody and they knew that I was on the show and they were like, oh, my gosh, she's so stupid. She's how can you date her? She's such an airhead. She's so dumb. Like, you know, and and he'd be and he wouldn't stick up for me. He wouldn't he wouldn't say anything. He'd be like, you know what? That's just how, you know, she is. Like, he wouldn't say anything. And then he would come back to me and just tell me all of the awful things that the person said to me and be like, you know, why do you, why are you really like that? And, like, accuse me of being like that. You know? So you felt disrespected. Completely. Right. Then he would do loving things. Yeah. He would, like, call me stupid saying that it was his friend who said it. And then the next day he'd, like, bring me flowers and be like, I'm sorry. Right. Let's see. P1 Megan.
Megan, are you there? P1 Nicole. What's up? Okay, I got one for you. Go ahead. You can get respected at work, but people get married because they want love. So obviously my choice would be love because at the end of the day or at the end of the marriage, people get divorced because there's not that love in the relationship anymore. Yeah, but couldn't you? sacrifice your guy never loving you in any way over the next 25 years, but he would stick up for you if somebody said something bad about you. See, the thing is, Mike, is that I'll stick up for my dang self. Yeah. And that I want my husband to love me. It's a nap. That's why we get married. Finally, an honest woman. There it is. Wow. I like that. You know what I mean? I do not like that answer. Yeah, Skye is not down. I am not a fan of that. Like, I think people get divorced because of lack of respect. I think love in a marriage, especially a long-term marriage, it's kind of like a roller coaster in a way of, like, the amount of romance and affection, you know, you kind of go through waves. But you've heard that people get divorced because the love's gone, you know? Like, they don't feel like there's any love there.
You know, I've rarely heard a woman say, yeah, I finally got divorced because I never felt like he was being respectful. It's usually about love. Let the romance begin. I think if they were to cite specific examples, I think it would come down to respect. It's not the fact that, oh, he doesn't rub my feet anymore or, oh, he doesn't bring me flowers anymore or he doesn't tell me I'm beautiful anymore. That's not, I've never heard somebody say. That's why they get divorced. Women say that all the time. That's all they say. As far as going, as far as getting a divorce over not getting flowers and flowers, I thought it was more serious than that. No, no, no. It's usually a combination. That's one of the big deal to women. It's usually a combination of stuff. Yeah, that would be the only thing. It'll be that, and he doesn't really communicate with her. Just stop talking to me. We don't make love. Which is respect. Yeah, I would put that in the love category because guys don't really need that. Guys don't need like you don't hear a guy say this. You don't hear a guy go, man, my woman, she just doesn't come and talk to me anymore. You know, I just so badly. I just want her to come and just talk to me and communicate with me. And, you know, that's definitely love. That's love. I think communication is respect. Communicating with your partner. How you communicate is respect. Yeah. Communication is love. Yeah. See, like guys.
It's like I said, guys... I'm not wrong, Eddie. I don't see guys going... I don't see guys going, hey, listen. You know, they're sitting in the therapist's office and they say, hey, listen. I just don't know if I can do this anymore because... I just want her to talk to me so much, and I want her to just share her feelings with me. I want her to tell me more about what she's, and she just doesn't do that. Well, because guys don't talk like that, but guys will be like, yeah, she doesn't even tell me what's up. She goes out, and I don't even know where she is, and she's not letting me know what's going on, and then we have this stuff going on, and that's communication. It's just guys don't speak the way you just did. I'm telling you, as a guy, what we feel, women, they want that communication. They do want that communication. Guys, It's not that a guy goes, no, I don't want communication. It's just that we don't feel that thing. We're kind of wired differently than ladies in that regard, that we don't really feel that thing like that. That's more of a feminine thing, a woman thing to be like, I really want him to talk to me. I really want to know what he thinks about us. That's definitely more of a woman. What are you thinking right now? Penny for your thoughts.
You know what I mean? Let's see. P1 Serenity. Yes, Mikey. What do you think? Oh, I think I would take definitely respect. I just broke off a three-year engagement of a man who absolutely loved me, but zero respect. We'd be out in public. He'd make fun of me. He'd call me names, leave me at places because he didn't like what I said. Wait, wait. Now, how do you not make the argument there that he was not loving you? I mean, we made the argument the other way. So how do you not make the argument that if he was doing that, he was showing you the opposite of love? It was so unloving to do that. Part of the reason we're not getting married anymore. But up until that point, there was always the sweet things, the flowers, the hugs, the kisses, showing me that he loved me. But I mean, even at home, there was zero respect. And every single argument we ever got in was the fact that. You don't respect me. And he says that I don't deserve the respect because he loves me. Ew. Yeah, that's not very loving. Ew. Run. Not very loving. Far away. I took my lesson. Yeah, probably a good idea. Yeah. Absolutely. Let's see. P1 Roland, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. What's up, man?
So I'm kind of in the same situation with my girlfriend of three years. I don't want to sound like a butt or anything, but I show her a lot of love, but I really don't respect her. What do you mean? You know, it's Valentine's Day, you know, on her birthday, stuff like that. I get a flower, you know, buy her things. I buy like a big screen TV. I bought her like a... Romance. Some diamonds and stuff like that. In case, she is an older woman. She's older than me. She has no college degree. She's a nanny, and she pretty much doesn't do anything with her life. So I can't respect her that way. Okay, and so how do you show? How do you show? What is your non-respect? What does it look like? I don't, like, make fun of her, but... financially wise, I can't respect her because I can't, I can't depend on her to do anything. So it sounds like that that's something that happens like internally, but I, I'm not hearing that you really like are disrespectful to her. Like maybe you don't respect her, but you're not disrespectful. Oh, I make fun of her in front of her friends. Okay. You just said, I don't really, I don't make fun of her. Well then you, but maybe you do, you do make fun of her in front of her friends.
Yeah, I make fun of her friends for what kind of job she has and what she does. Now, that may be a good example of not loving her. That is very unloving. That is what women, it is disrespectful. There's no doubt about it. It is disrespectful. Like you can't deny that it's not disrespectful. It is. Well, when we're looking at a real life case, like this guy's real life story, we have to admit love and respect go hand in hand. When we're in our hypothetical Mikey world, we can separate it and say, what would you do? But in this guy's case, it's hand in hand. Absolutely. Absolutely. I think that what was interesting to me is if you asked me, I would take the respect. There's no doubt about it because when I'm disrespected, I do not feel love. Absolutely. P1, Beth, are you there? Yes. Are you there? Go ahead. I was calling to say I would choose, in a hypothetical situation, I would choose love. So many times I've known girls that, you know, I want a guy that loves me. I want a guy that loves me. It seems like that's really all girls want is to be love.
And in a hypothetical situation, if the love was really pure and always going to be there, then it would definitely be the love. There you go. Thank you very much. Thank you. Welcome back. It is 739. Melissa Etheridge says that she shouldn't have to pay her full California taxes since the state now doesn't consider her a full citizen because of Prop 8. Well, how do I follow that stuff? I don't know. Now what are you supposed to do? We have a good story, but it's like, yeah, like what are you doing now? All right. Well, Jags head coach Jack Del Rio banishes linebacker Mike Peterson for insubordination. Says he's going to meet with the linebacker to determine his future. Oh, wow. I guess Peterson, during their embarrassing loss to Cincinnati at one point, they were down 21-3 to Cincinnati. And he kind of had like a shoestring tackle of the quarterback, gone up and flexed. And the coach is like, dude, we're down 21-3 to Cincinnati. Maybe not flexing, bro. And I guess he had a big meeting with his team and called him out. And something bad happened because he said, get out of here. You're done. Really? Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Not good. Keep your eye on that one. 570-1053 is the phone number. And we're doing a P1 weekend worry ward. So call us right now. 570-1053. You can even text us if you want to. 35253. What do you have going on this weekend that is...
freaking you out. You're nervous about it. You don't know what's up. Oh, do I have that? I forgot I have that. I forgot I have an open for this now. Uh, yeah. Do I? Uh, la la la. We'll get it. We'll get it. Okay, will this do? Oh, yeah. It's just a love boat theme. That's all it is. The actual love boat theme. Exciting and new. I'm bored. I'm bored. We're expecting you. Well, let's take a couple calls. P1 Alexa, what's going on? Okay, well, this week I just found out that my 17-year-old sister is pregnant with her second baby. My boyfriend might go to jail. Whoa! Your boyfriend might go to jail? Well, he's suspected of stealing laptops from a school. Of stealing what from a school?
Laptops. Oh, laptops from a school. Now, how might he go to jail? Because he's a suspect and he hasn't gone back to work, so. He's a suspect and he has not gone back to work. Yeah. So is he in custody right now? No, it just happened this last week, so I still don't know what's going on. So where is he? Is he like home? Uh-huh. Okay, and so you don't know what's going to happen this weekend. You're thinking they may come pick him up any second. Yeah. Skye. Why would he be a suspect in this? Because he's the only one that's not at work. Does he work at the place where the computers went missing from? Yes. Oh. And he's the only one that wasn't at work? That hasn't been showing up to work since the incident happened. What is he saying that he's staying home for? Like, is he called in sick or is he just not going to work? He's called sick. He's called in sick? And is he sick? No. Oh. Wow. Are you trying to tell us something? Yeah. Do you need help? Do you need us to call someone? Hit the pound key if you need help. Whoa. Well. That's a little weird. We definitely want an update from you on Monday. For sure. Yeah. Send us an email from one of your 18 computers at your house. Thank you for the call, Alexa. Oh, my gosh. That is P1 Alexa.
P1 Yosemite Samantha is on the line. Go ahead, Yosemite Samantha. Hi. I'm kind of starting to see this guy at work. We just started talking and the other night we had a really interesting conversation and he was going to come over to my house this weekend. But then my co-worker decided to walk up to him at work. And asked him what he thought about me. And he kind of flipped out and said that's not appropriate for work. And got kind of angry with me even though I didn't do anything. And now I'm not sure. He's not really talking to me. He's not giving me a couple of days. I've got to figure it out. He's not really talking to me. But he was talking a really big game on the phone. And now I'm kind of wondering what the heck is going to be going on. How old are you? How old am I? Uh-huh. 23. How old is he? 26. And everything was totally cool. Looked like you guys were headed towards a romance. Then a co-worker sat down and said, what do you think of her? And he's all out. Let the romance begin. Right. And it was really weird because it started off as like me talking to him about how I just need to take things slow. Just kind of been talking a friend to friends, not anything. Uh-huh. You know.
complaining about what's been going on in my life. And he was like, oh yeah, I'm in the same spot. So when I was like, okay, maybe he'd be a cool guy to hang out with. It's not going to be all like, you know, 5 million miles an hour. The conversation went 5 million miles an hour and then he flipped out on me. So we might be hearing something from this guy over the weekend? Yeah, we might be hearing something today from him at work. I don't know. Oh, okay. We're going to, do we have your number? Yeah. Okay, good. Because we're going to check in with you on Monday and see what happens. Oh, yeah. Is that cool? That's cool. All right, thanks a lot. Good luck. P1, Alex, are you there? Yeah. Alex, what do you got going on this weekend? Listen, I'm in kind of a tight spot. I want to ask my girlfriend's father for her permission to marry her. Wow. For his permission to marry her. Very respectful. Gentlemen? I'm sorry? Yes. That's a gentlemanly thing to do. That is a very gentlemanly thing to do. Yeah, the only thing is this guy scared the crap out of me. Most dads do. Yeah. He's ex-military. He's huge. And it's like perfection down the line kind of thing. And her sister, her sister's boyfriend asked him, and he said no. Oh, my gosh. Wow. He did? He said no when the sister's boyfriend?
Why? Flat out, no. Didn't think his job prospects were appropriate for his daughter. Didn't think he had a lot going on. The way he handled himself, the way he cut his hair. Loved her, didn't respect her. Yeah, that's right. What does he have going on? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So what about you? You got a good job? You got a good haircut? Oh, yeah. I just got my haircut. Last night. Hope it's short. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You know it. High in time, baby. That's right. I trimmed up the goatee. Good. I bought a new suit. So I'm going to go over there with my resume and portfolio. That's smart, actually. Powerpoint. Dude, you really should go over there with your resume and whatever. Why not? Bring a pay stub. You smart. That'd be funny. I've got a college education, but, you know, my job's not that great, but I've got potential, you know what I mean? But holy, oh, my God. Yeah. Yeah. This guy just scares me to death. Right. Oh, oh, I'm nervous now, too.
What if he actually did take all that stuff over there? I think that would be cool. He should. You know, the guy would think that he's real serious about it. Yeah, he's trying hard. Take the guy out to the bar on Saturday night. You get him all licked up. That's the way we did it back in Hopkins. That's right. You know it, Scott. You take another kiss, get it flaky. Buy another round. Another appletini, sir. Appletini. Appletini. And a Cosmo for me. Weird. Alex. Alex. I think ex-military. The guy doesn't even drink. Oh, wow. That won't work then. You know, what do I got? Hold on a second. Somebody is speaking in the background that I can barely hear. I can barely hear. Up to the microphone. Up to the microphone, lady. Do you have a job? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I thought you said he's just out of college. Oh, yeah. No, he's got a job. No, he's got a job. I got a job. It's just, you know, it's not the greatest job. And, you know, I'm working my way up. Well, man. Dude, I can't wait. When are you thinking about doing it? I think that you should get down on one knee when you ask. No, Mike. Don't do that. No. Don't do that. Definitely that idea. Yeah, do it.
He's a little gay. Yes, it is. It might not go over very well. Yeah, I mean, don't ask, don't tell. He might keep a living crap. Sounds gay. Well, do this. Well, you don't have to do anything. We're calling you no matter what. We get your number? We got your number, right? We're going to call you on Monday, and we're going to see how it went. Okay. All right, dude? Don't cry, bro. Good luck. Hey, thanks. Drop your fingers tomorrow about 5, 5.30. Nice. Okay, we will. Nice. Don't mess this up. No pressure. Are you doing it at the house? Are you going over to his house? No, I'm taking him out to dinner. Nice. Dude, this guy's got it going on, man. He's smart. I figure he can only get so mad in a public place. What are you going to wear? He said he got a new suit. Oh, you got a new suit. Oh, wow. I suggest Applebee's. Yes. Applebee's? Yes. Outback, right, Skye? It's the neighborhood girl. Skye says Outback. Maybe Hooters? Outback, okay. Hooters? Yeah. Chevys? Ooh, Red Lobster. Red Lobster? Chili's. Barbecue's on. All right, dude. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. I can't wait to hear from this guy. That's a doozy. And see what happens. This is funny.
Hey, P1 Sam. Yo. What are you doing? I'm going to the dentist today. For the first time in how long? 10 years. Oh, dude, I'm scared for you. You're like me, dude. Good luck. I'm sorry. I haven't been sleeping for the past three days. You're going to the dentist for the first time in 10 years. Yeah. And you haven't been sleeping because the pain is so bad? No, because I'm kind of worried. Oh, because you're nervous. You're nervous. I have to stick a hole in my tube, and I'm just, like, tripping. Hey, why don't you go to one of those places where they knock you out? Sleep dentistry. Sleep dentistry. You should. If you haven't slept for three days because of the anxiety, sleep dentistry. You can use the sleep. What do they do? Do they go? Yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck. Do they go wake up, little guy, when it's all done? I did it. Did you really? I've done it before, yeah. Dude, that's what I want. That's what I want to do. Is it good? It's just like anesthesia. Like, you know, they put you out. How do they put you out? You put a mask on, you breathe in, they count the 10 or, you know, be from 100 or whatever. No needles involved, right? No. Okay. No. It's fun. It's fun. It's not fun. I don't know if I'd use the word fun. So when you come back around, everything's done? Yeah. You don't feel anything. Awesome. So if you're out of it, though, you know, I mean, you were under and so. Mikey, this weekend I'm going bungee jumping in Arizona and I hate heights, Mike. Oh.
I mean, isn't bungee jumping a choice? But I told this girl I've done it before. Shut up. Oh, no. Oh, no. Any advice? P1 Vegan. You're the best. Oh, no. 5701053 is our number. 35253 is our text number. If you haven't seen Boston Rob's yoga poses. Oh, yeah. Talk about it, dude. Come on now. Go to MikeyShow.com and I'm new on the show. Hey, I want to tell you about BMW Encinitas located on Encinitas Boulevard between the 5 and El Camino Real. It is the best BMW dealership hands down in San Diego County. If you're thinking about buying a BMW, which right now you should be, it's the same concept that goes into, hey, right now the stock market's down. It's a great time to get in buying stocks. Right now the economy is down. It's a great time to be making deals on a car. So if you want to get a BMW and you've always wanted to get a BMW, now's the time. Because what happens is when the economy goes back up again and everybody's feeling good, they don't have to have prices as low as they do now. And in addition to that, you have a dealership in BMW Encinitas where the general manager, Brian Wood, is a guy that I've talked to personally that says, you know what, man? I just want Mikey Show P1s to put us on the map and I want to be known. as the best BMW dealership here in San Diego. So if you can, man, I just want to partner with you and just get people coming in these doors. And so go check them out, will you? BMW Encinitas. They're on Encinitas Boulevard between the 5 and El Camino Real. And you could also find them online at bmwencinitas.com.
You can get $5 shatterproof ornaments and great prices on LED lights and all things holiday at the Christmas shop in the Garden Center at Walmart. Save money. Live better. Walmart. Not to get too sidetracked. He looks great. KC. San Diego's Rock. You're listening to the Mikey Morning Show with Mikey. I'm such a foodie. And a food snob, but I love that Olive Garden. Eddie. We think fights are funny, so the kids should die. Yeah. Sky. I'm coming up on being married six years. Sean. I like black. Boston Rob. I like to take my time and do things right. You sure do. And Ashley. Sometimes things make sense in my head, but not to anybody else. Rock 105.3. When you hear these lyrics, you just... They're so cool.
This dude is so tough. Yes, this guy will knock you out. This is a new UFC fighter, I think. She's got some rock moves. He does. I hate how catchy it is. I hate it. It's really not. I will not sing this once today. You absolutely will. Not only will you sing it today. I never have. You have to. You've played this a bunch of times, and I've never sang this song. I heard you singing it in the office. Eddie, why does he do this? You know in his head later today. Name one time that I did. Yesterday, 425 p.m. 425 p.m. Well, you know what's going on here, Mike. What is it? It's one of the most popular songs out there right now. That's what it is. So obviously, Rob can have nothing to do with it. He's totally out on it. He's stronger. He will not pay for the hours of the song. And he's very unique, and he doesn't follow the lead. Right, right. The single in my car. Rob will be singing it tonight. He'll be liking it. And he'll be singing it. And he'll call himself Pink. Boston Pink. Boston Pink. Boston Pink. Boston Pink. What up? Be Pink. Pink Rob.
Don't, if you don't acknowledge me, it doesn't mean you're not hearing it. It don't mean you're not hearing it just because you don't look at me. I was in my own world for the past couple minutes. I got you. Are you talking? Sure. Whatever, dude. Must have been funny, though. Why do you lie, liar? All right, answer this one. Answer this. All right. Since you guys are such great cooks, I'd like some advice on this, please. My friend insists that brining a turkey overnight before cooking it for Thanksgiving is the greatest. What are your opinions on this? Skye, Ashley? Yes. We have done that, and it is delish. I've done it. It's delish. I boil mine. Yes. I don't know what brining is. Brining is sticking it in a salt and sugar water mixture overnight. Salt and sugar? Mm-hmm. A little bit of sugar, a little bit of salt, and herbs and stuff like that. In fact, let me tell you, best thing to do is they sell a bag. They sell a bag. You just dump it in the water. You stick it in, and it even comes with a big gigantoid. Ziploc bag that you could stick the turkey in. Okay. And it's real easy. But be careful. And it really absorbs. Oh, yeah, dude. It's the juiciest turkey you'll ever have in your life. Yeah, I think I might try that. You know you have to defrost it first, right? Yeah. So that isn't defrosting it? No, no, no. Hold on.
Actually, maybe it is. I don't remember. But it won't absorb because the point of it is to absorb the goodness. And if it's frozen, it's not going to absorb it the same way if it's defrosted. Defrosted first. Go buy it fresh. What? Who am I? Yes, exactly. Who are you? Who am I, Ronald McDonald? No, hold on. Richest guy ever. It's the richest guy I know. Well, Rich is a clown. He's a clown, though, dude. That guy's a clown. Yeah, total clown. He's a clown. So you can get them, like, not frozen? Yeah, they're called fresh turkeys. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Come on, dude. You know that. Please, Rob. Sean, every Bonds I've ever been to. Where would I hear that? At the polo yards? This is really rough. Yeah, dude, great. Where would I hear that? At the racquetball court? You've got to go to, like, Henry's or something. What are my boys, Becca? Our answering machine, if you want to leave a voicemail for The Mikey Show, is 858-715-1923. Welcome to another edition of Who Do I Look Like over here.
starring Boston Rob and presented by P1 Daystring. Hey, Rob, we're all going out to lunch at Arby's. You want to come? Arby's? Arby's? Who do I look like over here? Morley Safer? Perhaps Dan Rather? Well, I just thought that you taught what? That I got all kinds of scratch, huh? Like that broad who writes them spicy novels the guy likes to read? Come on, man. It's just Arby's. Does Arby's have a dollar menu, huh? Do they got a 99 cents or less menu there? No, I don't think they do. Well, who do I look like over here? Gil Gerard? Wait a minute. Who did you just say? Gil Gerard. Who's that? What, you ain't never seen Buck Rogers in the 26th century? There was that broad and tight leather space outfit on the show. That little robot. Tweaky. Oh, okay, yeah, you mean Gil Gerard. That's what I said, dum-dum. Go eat your beef and cheddar, you big jerk. There he is. That was fantastic. That was you. I think Rob left that message.
Bass string is genius. P1 answering machine is available for you right now. You can call it and leave a message on our answering machine, 858-715-1923. Now it's time for the YouTube clip of the day. I think you guys might like this. This is a guy named Yuri Lane. And he does beatboxing, but he's the only dude that does beatboxing with a harmonica. Cut 42. That's impressive. Yeah. Beatboxing with a harmonica. That's pretty cool. I looked up at my screen when we were doing that and I saw this great call, but then it was gone before we could get to it. Somebody calling for Weekend Worry Wart. Her name's P1 Elizabeth. Call back Elizabeth. It's pretty good. I have her number. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Call her up. Get her on.
This was a pretty interesting one. And, you know, just the fact that she was, like, calling in to say that this is what she was going to do. I was like, oh, wow, look at that. Dial her on the telly. Yes. Call us on your mobile if you need to. Your mobile. Yeah, I want to get everybody's take on what they think about this. What they think about what she is going to do. Are you ready for this? That was Regis Philbin? Was that Regis Philbin? Is that what I heard? What was that? Was that Cartman? Was it Cartman? No, it was Cartman from South Park. Really good Cartman. That was a great... Are you ready for this? Ben Vereen. That's Ben Vereen. I thought that was Tully Savalas. It was Gary Oldman. Oh, it was Gary Oldman from Dracula, right? Definitely Gary Oldman from Dracula. That was a really good one. I liked it. I thought it sounded just like Gary Oldman from Dracula. Oh, there he is. Try it one more time, Ash. Go ahead. You ready for this? Are you ready for this? See? Yep. You know what I'm saying? Gelman. Gelman. 5701053 is our final. We got her back. We got Elizabeth back. Elizabeth, you there? Yes. All right. So, Elizabeth, tell everybody what you are kind of freaking out about this weekend. What are you doing? Hey, well, basically, the other day, sorry, I'm out of breath. I asked my boyfriend.
casually so what do you want to do in the future because we've been dating for three years and every time i try to bring up the future he gets mad at me and says don't start don't start and he gets all pissed so we've been dating for three years and i asked him he's like i don't want to talk about it i don't know i don't want to talk about i don't know so i basically said well then i don't know when i'm gonna have sex with you Or clean up after you. Do you guys live together? Awesome. We do. Ah. What's the line, Sky, about the cow and the milk? What is that? Why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free? The cow jumped over the moon. Spoon. No, no, no. It's one bad bovine. Don't spoil the whole bunch girl. Is that it? It's not that? No. As the cow flies. That sounds familiar. Basic, but a lot of dairy. Oh, cider rice.
Elizabeth, when did you give him the ultimatum? Well, I didn't technically give him the ultimatum, but I did try to have a conversation with him on Tuesday. So I asked him if we could schedule a conversation at his convenience, possibly when he has nothing else to do so he can concentrate on talking to me. And that's when he totally flipped out and said, I don't know, I don't know. Maybe in six years we can talk about it or some bull. Six years? How long have you guys been boyfriend and girlfriend? Three years. Been boyfriend and girlfriend for three years. And how long have you been living together? We actually have been really short in relationships. So we've been living together for like two and a half years. Oh, wow. And so how old are you? I'm 30. And how old is he? He's 35. Oh, wow. Has he ever been married? No, he's never been married, but he does have a child. I know he's been burned in the past, but I've never given him any reason. Have you been holding out on the sex since you had to talk? Yes.
You have. And is he genius? Oh, wow. Sky is pumping her fist like you go, girl. I love it. I love it. Norma Rae. What? He wants to play dirty. He wants to be like, oh, I don't have time to talk about this. Okay. Well, then you know what? I don't have time to do all your crap and put out for you. Figure it out. Wow. Find the time and maybe I'll find the time. Let me tell you something. Nothing is more romantic than a guy with his arm behind his back. Yeah, nothing is more romantic than a guy who says, get back to me in six years. Totally, but if that's a deal... Hit the bricks, pal, because you are going out. Yeah, well, it may have to end up that way. You never know. Yeah, right. I just want the conversation, though. That's all I was asking for. I wasn't asking for a ring or anything crazy. I just wanted the conversation. Second prize instead of steak knives. I would rather have respect. Stop it. Please. Yeah, he needs to talk to you. Yeah, what is your advice for P1 Elizabeth?
That's stupid. I think that's ridiculous. I think it shows a complete lack of respect. And, I mean, you guys are partners. It's loving, yes, but not respect. We are partners. They're living together. They've been together for three years. You know, they obviously share household duty. She takes care of him. He takes care of her. I mean. It's so disrespectful. I would be livid. It's full of love, though. It's absolutely full of love. I would be livid. It sounds like when he says, you know, we'll talk about it in six years, the most loving thing I think I've heard all morning long. Yeah, that's whack. Well, what are you going to do, Elizabeth? I'm going to talk with him. Elizabeth. Yes. What are you going to do? Well, this weekend he has off, and he doesn't have his daughter, and he's not doing anything, so. Maybe it's a good time for the conversation. If conversation doesn't happen, I may have to throw some fists in the air and say, all right, well, then I'm out. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The guys don't believe you that you're going to leave. No, she's not leaving. No chance. No chance. None. I have faith in you. Oh, you do. You're a strong woman. You think she'll leave. Yeah. You think that if he doesn't ask, she'll leave. Not that. All she wants is the conversation.
She doesn't need a proposal. She wants to have the conversation, and he won't even give her that. Okay. So, all right. I'll give you that. I bet you he'll eventually have the conversation. Okay. He'll put her off. Yeah, he'll put you off, though. That's what they do. These guys don't want to. They put it off. They go, all right, fine. Let's talk about it. I always never understand. Somebody that would want to be with somebody that you have to force into marriage. If you've got to force him to marry, yeah. I don't understand that, Elizabeth. If you have to twist his arm, make him have a conversation. I don't want to twist his arm at all. I just want to know full fact, okay, you either want this. You do know already. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what's up. What do you mean? I think he doesn't have to. Yeah, he is pretty much making it clear. Figure it out. I mean, the only one excuse is, like, say he's been burned in the past and he's scared. Like, he loves her to death. He wants to be with her forever, but he's just scared. Like, I may make an exception for that, but anything outside of that. But Skee-Ball. So how long is he going to be scared for? Well, wait a minute. It's acceptable. Well, she'd have to either accept it or bail. Skee, hasn't he figured it out in three years what kind of person he's got here? Yeah, he should have.
Absolutely. So, I mean, it sounds like he maybe he kind of he he knows. Let's say let's give her the benefit of the doubt and say she's not the type of person that would burn him the way the other girl did. He probably knows that. But there's something that's keeping him from taking it to the next level. Because one thing I know about guys is when they want it, you know, when they want it, they they do it. And, you know. all that fear stuff and all that stuff, that goes out the window, kind of. Have you ever thought of asking him to marry you? No! What? Can you not do that? Don't be ridiculous. Stop. What's wrong with that? Have you, listen, have you ever thought of getting down on a knee? If you're the girl, I don't think you have to get on the knee. What do you do? Well, first you gotta talk to his mom. No, you don't have to talk to mom. You're not going to ask for her permission? No. Or his dad? No. Okay, don't do that. At least that's not how I would do it. Do not do that. But, and do not get down on a knee? No. Okay. If it was me. She would not. What you do is, you take him to a romantic restaurant. I wouldn't do that. What? I would cook a romantic meal. You cook a romantic meal.
You cook a romantic setting in the home. With some candles. Candles, nice little music. And then you sit him down, okay? And you very, you lovingly, you reach over. And you grab him by the... No. No, Mike. See, you're twisting it. All right. And then with your other hand, with your elbow on the table, you point your index finger right at his face. No, Mike. Right in his face. These are bad ideas. And this is what you say to him. You say. Oh, right before, give him a couple of smacks on the cheek. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Smack him a little bit on the cheek. And then you go like this to him. You say. No. You say, hey, hey, you hearing me right now? No. And then if he doesn't say anything, you give him a little. All right. Can you hear me? You can act like a man. And you say to him, and you go to me, you go, I love you. You're so stupid. You are so stupid. Wow. You say to him, you go, listen, you say, hey, I love your face. Now smarten up. Now smarten up. No, that's not how you propose. Now, will you marry me? Oh, you're the worst.
Elizabeth, we have your number. We're going to call you and ask you how your proposal goes this weekend. No, we're going to call you on Monday, and we're going to see if anything happened, all right? All right, sounds good. Thanks. At this time, by the way. We'll do it at this time, so everybody listening right now, you'll get to listen on Monday. Tell them to wise up. Dude, I'm sorry. I know that this is going to be painful, Eddie, but when we get back... I want to know how Sky would propose. Oh, yes. My morbid curiosity and obesity. My morbid curiosity wants to know. Can I leave the room? No, Eddie. The Mikey Show is on. I just want to say I love this show. I listen to you guys every single day. Rock 105.3. That's right. We're networking. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. Sky, how would you propose to a guy? Well... I mean, it all depends on who the guy is, but, you know, if it's... Eddie is bowing. Well, I... I think we all know. I was going to say, if it's... Eddie, you would like it, right? You would like it if a woman proposed to you, right? It would be so special. It's everything a girl's ever dreamed of. Yeah. Right? But you're a guy. I think that that would really make a man feel like a man. Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Oh, totally.
Little fist bump after. Sasha, I would just love it. Sky, do you think that there may be a part of that that the guy wouldn't get to feel like a guy? I don't care. All right. Okay. Fair enough. Fair enough. I don't care. Hey, sister. Fair enough. Boy, this marriage is working out great. Well said. Off to a good start? Yeah. Off to a good start. I don't care how he feels, Mike. Well, no. I just watch. Hey, what? What way to better set a tone in a marriage with having the girl ask you, you know? And not care. Maybe your dad can walk you down the aisle. Yeah, because it's gay for a woman to love a man as much as the man loves the woman. Like, what are you guys saying? It's like in 2008. Figure it out. It's okay for both parties. Get out of your cave. Yeah. Oh, fire. Fire. Oh, we made fire. Oh, great. There we go. Wait a second. Sky. Sky. Don't you think that guys, you know, they kind of like asking? Well, see, I'm... Okay, I'm not advocating that every woman go out and ask their man. Yeah, sometimes it's nice to let your man be a man if that's what he wants to do. But if you're living with your dude for three years, if you're in your 30s, you know, going off this last call we have, if you're in your 30s and you want to get the show on the road and your dude's kind of avoiding it, then okay. You know, if that was me, I'd go for it. Well, but...
Wouldn't you think to yourself, if he hasn't asked you in three years, that maybe you're not, you know. I want to know for sure. I want to put it out there. And I'm going to make this happen. It means a lot to me. I'm going to put it out there. And if he says no to my proposal. Then he's not a man. Then there's my answer. Okay. But what if he said no to your proposal, you know, because maybe he wants to ask you. Yeah. Well, then he would tell me that. At that point, he would say, hey, listen, maybe, you know. I might want to, but. I want to be the one to ask. Because I'm the man. And then would you close the little ring holder and put it away? You've humiliated me. You've humiliated. I've humiliated you with my love. By telling you how much I love you. You've taken away the man's tradition. Skye, would you pull out an engagement band? I don't think so. I don't know. Spend money, Mike. Come on. Please. I'm not made of money. Actually, I am. There would be no little box. There would be no ring. Why? Why wouldn't you do that? I don't know. You're asking me about my proposal. I wouldn't do that. So what would you do about rings? Would you go together and get them after he says yes? Yes, exactly. We would go together. How would you ask?
Well, it all depends on the dude, you know, but in just a generic type of scenario, I would cook a nice dinner, have everything set before he got home, you know. Candles. Candles, of course, a nice bottle of wine. I'll tell you this, it would be unexpected. Music. No question. Some really nice. Jason Moranis. Most dramatic proposal ever. He would not see it coming. No. You know how a lot of times, you know, girls are asked when they get asked to marry, you know, the girls will say, Did you know? Did you know it was coming? You know, did you see it coming? You know, actually, no, I didn't see it coming. Yeah, she got me. Yeah, it was totally unexpected this time. BC? Yes. Rock 105.3, I didn't expect it. I thought it was the greaseman. So you would be sitting there at the table. So, yeah, he would come home. Would you wait until after dinner? And he would be like, what is this all about? And I'd say, well, you know, I'm hoping. Would you hide it in his ham? Oh. Well, you can't say that word. That's why I mouthed it wrong. That's why I mouthed it. Are you kidding me? Wow. So that didn't make her happy. So he comes home. And he'd say, hey, what's this all about? And I'd say, well... How are you dressed? I'm dressed nicely. Do a wedding dress. Sorry.
I'm dressed nice and pretty and sexy, but I'm not overdoing it. I'm covering up for the sun, Mike. You know it has. We're in the house. You're so stupid. It doesn't even make sense. If it was like a proposal, okay, maybe your joke would make sense. I'm wearing a hat like Blossom. Some attention-grabbing mom shorts. Rob, I can't believe you said that. Take it back. Take it back. There's the line, and I am way over it. Obviously, you have it all figured out, so whatever. Unbelievable. I'm sorry. I'll be quiet. Wait a second. This is the most shocking, shocking phone call I've ever got, ever, in the history of getting calls. Is it the boots? Miles McPherson is on the line. What? Miles, what were you calling to say?
If you propose and he says yes, I'll do the wedding. I mean, I'm already married, Miles. Ask him again, Sky. Ask him again. You can renew our vows when I ask him. Hey, Miles makes you rethink that whole Prop 8 thing, huh? Oh, man. If you want to renew your vows, I'll do it for you. There you go. He'll renew them. Thank you, Miles. Thank you. All right, come on. Now, we've set this team. Now, you're dressed sexy, but not overdoing it. You're not overdoing it. Right, right. So you're nice slippers. Skye, I think I... Skye, are we talking... Skye, are we talking like the dress from when we went to boot camp? Sexy, not too much. Sexy. Not too much. You know what I'm saying? Somewhere in that range. Skeetball. Somewhere in that range. You know what I mean? You've been showing off my teeth. Yes, I know what you're saying. I think that comes out of the umbrella of the word sexy. There she is. There's Scott wearing a sexy dress. What are we told you? We need to spend time on this.
Scott, you are awesome. That is from the Broadway production Marry Me Boo. This is so romantic. Oh, man. So, I am guessing that the proposal does not happen until after dinner. Right. I put all this work into the meal. I don't want it ruined. So why would you tell him when he says, what is this all about? What would you say it's all about? I'd say I have a very special evening planned and it's going to start with dinner. So let's start there. Okay. And so I raised my glass. Yes. Now he would not, every man, if a woman said that every man is thinking that nookie is on the way. Oh yeah. Or like. pregnant maybe. Or maybe I'm in trouble. I did something. Right, right, right. Something's happening. Okay, and so dinner ends and? Dinner ends and I'd probably say okay. I'd probably maybe...
I don't get it. I don't understand. Can you be cool? That was dairy. Well, I cooked it, so obviously not, dummy. She wouldn't have dairy if she made it. I do soy milk. And for the entree, a side of rice. Okay, okay, come on now. I want to know. Come on, stop it. I want to know. How about you stop it? No more for me. No more for me. I'm like a dealer leaving a table. No more for me. My last one, guys. So I want to know. So the dinner's over. He's obviously like, what is going to happen here tonight? So. And so we'd probably be sitting there. The place would be cleared. But we'd still maybe be enjoying a glass of wine or beer or whatever. We're drinking a cup of coffee. And I would say, okay, babe, you know, I really wanted to talk to you about something. And I would take his hand and probably hold his hand like on the table. And I would say, you know.
I love you very, very much. We've been together for, you know, I'm just going to take this gal's example. We've been together for three years now. You know, I'm in my 30s and, you know, a woman in her 30s. Hey, hey, hey. I want to hear this, Rob. A woman in her 30s, you know, you dream of where you're going to be at when you're in your 30s. And you know what my dreams are. I dream of a family. I dream of a husband, a loving household. Do you mean? We're thinking it. Help myself, Mike. What do you mean? I don't want to hear. Eddie? It's like putting a bottle of vodka in front of Nick Cage and leaving Las Vegas. Like, what am I supposed to do? I'd say, you know, again, I love you very much, and I feel like you've been avoiding this topic, and I'm not exactly sure what your motivations are, but this is something that means a lot to me, and I would just like to know if you would like to marry me. Wow. Okay.
Now, what if he says... He would laugh first. My man would not laugh. Yes, he would. No, my man would not. Eddie, her man, if he would know... He couldn't help himself. He would know that if he laughed, basically it's over. How could you not when you hear something so ridiculous? Oh, ridiculous, like talking about love and wanting to spend the rest of my life with you. You're proposing to me, yes. So? It's ridiculous. It is not ridiculous. 2008, bro, check the calendar. Okay, so... What if he says? Yeah, obviously. What if he says? Dragging your gal around by her hair. So, Skye, what if he says? Oh, go, go, go, go, go. Skye. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. This is a Geico commercial? Best caveman impression ever. It was a pretty good caveman. That was really good. Dead on. For a second, I thought there was one in here. Dead on. Like he was in the room. Skye. Yes. What if he says, I don't think I'm ready?
Well, it's been three years. We've been living together for two and a half years. Mike! Mike! Okay, that was technically... Come on. Hang on. Technically, that was Sean's fault. I sort of heard him. It was in my head. It was almost like a natural reaction. You didn't even realize that you did it. If he hits my knee with a little mallet, my knee's going to kick, you know? Reflex. Three years since you married me. No, I saw. You couldn't help it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I would say, well, you know, I'm sorry to hear that because I am more than ready. And what are you waiting for? What's going to make you ready? Well, I guess I just need to feel like when the right time is the right time. But I know this. I know I love you and I know I want to be with you. Well, but I can't go on like this forever. You know, like I said, I have dreams. I dream of a husband. I dream of a family. We've been living together.
Not your stupid mouth. What's the matter with that guy? Come on, I want to hear this. You shot him. Sorry, Skye, go on. Say it, come on. Let's do this. Let's do this. Who left off? You did. What were you saying? I was just saying that I am ready and I have dreams. We've been living together for quite a while. I don't want to do this forever, so I need to know what's going to make you be ready, and if you can't give me that, then we may need to go our separate ways. Well, I don't think that you should have to wait forever, and I don't want to wait forever. Then what are you waiting for? I am just waiting until I feel that the time is right. This is the most romantic proposal I have ever been a part of. I'm just waiting until the time is right, honey. So basically your answer to me is no. You do not want to marry me right now. All I'm going to ask you is that you don't put words in my mouth. Because I didn't say that. Okay, well I would like you to give me a definitive answer. Because I'm at the point where it's either... You mean you want me to give you an actual day that I'm going to ask you? No, I'm basically at the point where I need a yes or a no. Wait a minute. Hang on. Wait a second. You mean...
Wait a second. I'm not holding anything over your head. So you're saying that unless I can say to you right now that yes, I will marry you. It's yes or no. No, you're still going to be with him. Well, no. That's an ultimatum. That's an ultimatum. What, I should just sit around here forever? What does ultimatum mean? You just said it wasn't an ultimatum. I hate tomatoes. You should know if you love me that I hate tomatoes. What's a tomato? You mean if I don't say yes right now, you're going to break up with me? Well, it's been three years. I've been trying to have this conversation with you forever. You keep avoiding it. You haven't proposed to me even though you know that I'm more than ready to marry you. But that doesn't mean I don't love you. I love you. Well, that's great. I love you too, but I want to be with somebody who wants to be my husband. And I'm sure that I will probably feel that way, but I don't feel that way exactly today.
Okay, well, I think three years is long enough for you to figure it out. And if you haven't figured it out by now, then I can't wait around. Well, don't say that because I know that I love you and I want to be with you. Do you want to marry me is my question. Well, I think that I want to marry you, but I don't know right now because I'm still at that point where I'm kind of learning every day, taking it day by day. I know I love you. Why can't my love be enough for you? It's not you, it's me. It isn't you. It's me. It's me. It's my issues. Well, because I want to have children with you and I don't want to have children out of wedlock. I don't either. That's why I want us to be married when we do. But so you do want to marry me. I think I do.
Well, I can't hang around for an I think. I can't hang around for a maybe. This is why women don't propose. But what does that mean? Well, because you know why? When a man proposes to a woman, she says yes or no. She doesn't go, oh, maybe, oh, I can't, oh, blah, blah, blah. It's yes or no. And he's given me a maybe. Why can't it be enough that I love you? I explained to you I want to have children. I'm in my 30s. I do, too. I want to get this ball rolling, and it doesn't seem like you do, so I may need to move on. Wait a second. You're telling me that when I look at you and I tell you that I love you, that that doesn't seem like anything's happening? I mean, that is love. Well, that's great. But then what's holding you back from marriage? It's just that that is a lifelong commitment that maybe just today I'm not ready to make. Who knows? Next month I might be. Sky, just pick up with him. Yeah, I'm moving out. This is why I hate girlfriends, man. Girlfriends are the worst. You could do better. You could do better. Dude, they would say that. I may be able to convince Sky.
I may be able to... All it would take is one phone call to her girlfriend. One. One phone call. Over. Done. Or call the Kaiser advice line. That's right. Okay, again. Advice line, by the way. Yes, I know this is a strange question. Does Marsha still work there? Marsha. Marsha. Oh, it's you, Marsha. Marsha, yes, I know we haven't spoken for years, and it's a totally unrelated incident. It's not a sunburn. All right. I was wondering how to cure a broken heart. Strangely, still the same remedy. It's a girl. Wow. That was so romantic. Well, he started it by not answering me. I made it romantic until he ruined it. Then you made it an ultimatum. Then you said either you marry me or we're... So how would a guy do it if a girl answered maybe to your proposal? I didn't say maybe. I said I love you. See, this is what girls do. They take your words and they make it something that it isn't.
That's why I said it. No, you said you're not ready right now, but maybe in the future. Okay, I did. You're right. I did say maybe in the future. That's just like a guy to forget what he said 10 seconds ago. That's true. No, she got me there. She got me. I did say that. Now, I didn't want to say that, though. What's an ultimatum? Oh, I forced you. You forced my hand. Well, you were about to break up with me. Say maybe. Say maybe. You were about to break up with me. Guy don't want to lose his lady. Well, sorry. We're over, Mike. We're not. We're over. I'm out. What if I say, okay, what if I say this, Scott? I'm taking my stuff. I'm taking my cats. How about this? How about this? Because this is what I think really happens. This is what I think really happens. So how about I say this? Well, I tell you what. I think that what I would want to do is that I think in a year from now, I will be in a much better place to be able to evaluate this. Good answer.
Yeah, I don't think I can wait a year for you to figure it out. Then you don't love me. Oh, I love you to death, but you had the last three years to figure it out. If you loved me, you would not say that to me knowing full well that I need that time? Well, if you loved me as much as I love you, you would marry me. Wow, an old-fashioned love-off, eh? Welcome back. It's 842. The governor said yesterday he wants to raise taxes on things like golfing, booze, sporting events, and much more to pay the state deficit. Wow. Why not video games and Star Wars stuff? For sure. That would be the complete Eddie Bill. College football last night saw No. 8 Utah remain undefeated, beating No. 12 TCU 13-10. Mikey, is it weird that I talk in Sky's voice all alone in my car? That's P1 Don. That is awesome. Yes. I say yes. Yes, but hysterical? That's awesome. Let's see. Sky. Yes. Would you propose on the tour bus of the Boo Donkeys, that's P1 Creepy and Uncle? There is no such thing as the Boo Donkeys. Fair question. Stop saying that. P1 Krista says, why is Sky emasculating men?
Yeah, if me expressing my love to you emasculates you, then you got your own issues. I don't think any guy has a problem with you showing your love. Proposing? Me proposing. Proposing is a... Then you got your own stuff, in my opinion. That's taking away the guy thing, man. Guys like to propose to the ladies. Do you keep standing up? That's a legitimate question. It is. No, that's an illegitimate question. That's not a legitimate question. No, of course not. She wants to do things that men traditionally do. I'm just asking a simple question. I don't want to do it, but if I'm forced to do it, if it's that or get out, then I'm going to do it. I'm going to step up before I give up. If she were out in the desert walking and that was the only way she could do it, standing up, if she was forced to, she would. Of course. Right? That's what it's like saying. So she's being put in a position where she is forced. Thank you. P1 Johnny D. What's up? What happened with you? Well, she proposed to me twice, and twice I said no. One, I wasn't ready. I gave her a list of reasons. And she was, you know, the first time she accepted it, the second time she gave me an ultimatum. And I said, still, I'm not ready. How long ago was this?
What year was it? How long ago? Oh, this is about a year ago. She proposed for the first time a year ago? No, second time. Okay, when did she first propose? About four years ago. How long had you been dating? About eight years. You were dating for eight years. Whoa! You were dating for eight years, and she proposed. No, we were dating for four years. She asked me after the fourth year, and the first time I said no. Okay. She asked me again, and I still said no. That was when she said, okay, if it doesn't happen, I'm going to move out. I said, you know, I'm still going to give you the same reason. I'm not ready. And, you know, like I said, there was a list of reasons there, and she just wasn't having it. And then what happened? She didn't move out. She moved out, and she broke up with you. No, no, we're still together. He said she didn't move out. Oh, she did not move out.
She did not move out. She did not move out. Yeah, if you're going to do something, if you claim you're going to do something, you've got to do it. You've got to follow through. Yeah, I called her bluff, you know. Yeah, I would have moved out on you. Are you still together? We are still together, but we're not, how should I say it? Exclusive. You're not happy? Yeah, I'm not happy. Are you seeing other women? No, not at all. I've got too many things going on, too. I have a question. Yeah. So how long have you guys been together altogether? Eight years. And if I were to put on the honest cap, if I made you wear the honest cap and you could not lie, and if you lie, a red light will go out over your head and will piss you over a cliff. All right? So you got to be honest, okay? Okay. Why have you not asked her to marry you?
Honestly, I was thinking about it about a month ago, and my family talked me after it. And what did they say? They said, think about it. She's got a lot of health issues and this and that. She's not financially stable. I mean, they were giving me all the, you know, hang-ups of why I shouldn't. I should find a career woman and find somebody that's going to be. You know, in the same level as I am. So your family had a lot to do with it. Well, yeah, because, you know, I'm really close to my family. And, you know, brothers and sisters, mom and dad, we're just really close. How old is she? She's in her 47, 48. And how old are you? 42. And you ever been married before? I've done that.
I got married at 25, been married for two years. Why did you get a divorce the first time? Well, she's the one that told me she didn't love me, and I caught her on the phone with another guy. Okay. And so you divorced her because she was cheating. Yeah, pretty much. And I even tried to fix it. Okay, okay. Nobody tells you they don't love you anymore. You know what I'm talking about. Yeah, yeah. It hurts, dude. It does. And so now you're in this relationship with this gal. You've been in it for eight years. You've been with this girl and she really wants to marry you. And your family has kind of talked you out of it. Yeah. Well, they kind of made me see the light of the tunnel. Well, I tell you now, here's a question for you. Here's a question for you. Now, if you know that there's no future or you have to know there's no future with her, should you stay with her? Should you? Or are you just kind of waiting until... Well, he says he's not happy. So if you're not happy, then why are you with her? Well, because now I see it as like we're like best of friends, though. Isn't that the same thing that your ex-wife did to you? Not really, because I didn't tell her I didn't love her. I mean, I still love this woman. And some financial...
Well, let me ask you this, because a couple of months ago you said you were actually going to ask her to marry her, but your family talked you out of it because of their health and because, you know, not at the same place financially. Are we just kind of crossing our fingers and hoping that one day a girl comes along that fits into the parameters that your family's looking for? Yeah, pretty much. All right. That's honest. That's honest. My number is... No. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I... I'm a fun guy. I'm not a fun guy. I just got a lot of things going on on my plate that I have a lot to offer, you know? All right, brother. Well, listen, call us back because I want an update on you guys. Thank you, Johnny D. Thank you, bro. P1 Instigator. Good morning, Mikey Shell. Good morning. Hey, Mikey, I actually just wanted to give you a call and let you know the same thing that you and Sky were just talking about. I actually went through in real life. What happened? Well, my girlfriend at the time, well, we were both in the military. I was in the Marine Corps. She was in the Navy. And we had been together for about a year. We had been together probably for about a few months. And anyway, one day, she had always been talking about getting married and always talking about marriage, probably from month one or so. And I think there's a lot of women out there like that.
She asked me and I told her no. She told me she was going to ask me and I told her I would say no. So I don't know what she was expecting. But what happened was she ended up deploying. We were still together. She ended up deploying over to the Middle East. And while she was over there, we were still dating. She actually found another guy while she was over there. And after she got back, she told me about it. And then within a month. She and that other guy were married, and she was pregnant. So she wanted to get married and start a family so bad that it really didn't matter to who. It's brutal. Wow. Yeah. Thank you. Hey, listen, that's an interesting story, and I bet a lot of people have had similar experiences. P1 Alex is a girl who actually proposed to her husband. Oh. So he married you when you said, will you marry me? Yes, he did. How did it happen?
I was actually only 19 years old, and he was 20. And I took him out one day to his favorite restaurant, Jake's. We just moved here from Boston, Massachusetts. Oh, yeah. Go for you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, Rob's my favorite person on the show. You're my favorite person. I love you. Daniel Hall. Massachusetts. Nathaniel Hall. Nathaniel Hall. Don't let him. Don't let him. Chunky way. Yeah. Doc, baby doc. Go ahead. So I took him out to his favorite restaurant, Jake's. He's from San Diego. He's a Chargers fan. I'm still trying to figure out why. Yeah, right. So we took him out. I took him out for lunch. And then we had this really nice. lunch and everything, and I took him out to a Patriots Chargers game about a couple years ago, and I asked him to put on the... Makeup. Yeah, the board, will you marry me, Nolan? On the big screen? On the big screen, yeah, at Qualcomm. Oh, that's embarrassing. And we had a huge thing. The only thing better than being emasculated is being emasculated in front of 72,000 screens.
Okay, that's your thing. That's your thing. That was made up in disguise. You are a gem. And so you looked over at him and you said, so what do you say, babe? And then he was like, first of all, he was really embarrassed. Did he blush? Weird. Did he blush? He was just laughing. And then I was like, why are you laughing? He's like, because it's funny, because you're a girl. And then he said, yes, I will marry you under one condition. And then I was like, what? He's like, will I get to meet someone from the Chargers? And I was like, yes. So we got after, like a week later, he met LT and Sean Merriman. How did you arrange that? I arranged that because Sean Merriman is a friend of my family. Friends of my family. Right. Okay, and so we got to arrange that and have a huge dinner a while, like probably like three years ago or something. Wow. So he got a huge thing. He said yes. So you bribed him with eating a charger? It's either an old tomato or a bribe. You want a tomato tomato. How long have you guys been married? We've been married for three years, but he has known me actually before I was born. His mom and my mom were best friends when they were pregnant. Shut up! That is so cute! Ashley loves your story. I love it!
I'm my first kid at 15, though, but he's been there for me ever since. That's so sweet. You're the best. Thank you. Another good story. Thank you, Alex. Posing. It's adorable. I mean, they don't get we hate that. I mean, you may hate that. All men hate it. You may hate it. All men hate it. And he's right. All dudes. Obviously his dude. Obviously her dude didn't hate it. Yeah, that's a fact. All men. Yeah, because he got to meet a charger out of it. That's what he wanted. He didn't care about the marriage. He didn't care about the marriage. That's why he's been with her forever. What's his first thing he said? What's the first thing he said? Can I meet a charger, Claire? That wasn't the first thing he said. He laughed. That was his first reaction. The first thing he did was laugh. Yeah. Because you're a girl. That's what he said. And then he said, can I meet a charger? She said, now imagine she said, no, you cannot. I'm sure he still wouldn't. They wouldn't be married. Oh, that's not true. Sky, don't be like this. Someone's freaking out. I can't take it anymore. You are going out. I can't take it. Be normal. Please. You be normal. My gosh. Can we negotiate normal like, you know?
Let's just negotiate. Fine. You don't have to be completely normal. Just give us something here. Mom. It's okay. Mom. Please be normal. Order the angelata plate. It won't kill you. Yes. P1 Liz. Hey, Mikey. You gave an ultimatum? I did. Guys love those, by the way. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is that a fact? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, I mean, guys usually put on eHarmony that that's like their favorite thing. We love being backed into a corner. Yeah. Feels good. Yeah. It's one of the most romantic things you can do is put a guy into a corner with a gun until he either agrees or disagrees, knowing that if he disagrees, gun time. This gun starts singing. I'm just leaving. No gun. I'm just taking it off. So what did you say? What was your ultimatum? What did you say to him? I had this conversation within the first year of dating that I thought, you know, within three years, you should consider whether or not you want to spend your life with someone. So three years was coming up, and we were supposed to go, you know, look at rings and start picking something out. And the day that we were supposed to go, he freaked out and wouldn't go. So I said, hey, you can think about this, but I'm not going to assist the police. So I left.
So that wasn't even an ultimatum. You just actually left. I walked away. I said, you can think about it. And if you change your mind and you decide you want to do this, you can call me and we'll go from there. And so what happened? We've been married for almost two and a half years. Wow. So what did he say when he called? He said, you know, it wasn't the right time in his life that he decided I was the right person. And so if I was the right person, then when was it ever going to be the right time? And he might as well just go ahead and do it. So that feels good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. That's love. Well, listen, it grows, you know. Sometimes it takes a little fertilizer. It takes a village. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It takes a village. Yeah, well. I'm sure. Congratulations. Thank you. All right. Have a great day. That's so bad. Skye would do it. But Skye, you actually wanted your husband to take your last name. Can't do it. Can we not do this, please? We had a discussion about hyphenating.
I thought you said that you wanted to do it the last name. You did. Well, you're right. There was a discussion about changing our last name in a couple different directions. But it would have sounded funny or something, right? Yeah. Well, we talked about hyphenating names. We talked about taking my last name. And then we also talked about taking his stepdad's last name. See, I can't do it. I'm very traditional. I'm very traditional. I got to do stuff that's traditional. So is 99.9% of the population. That's right. I think guys are kind of... Guys want the traditional route, you know? They want to be dudes. Dudes want to be dudes. We want to be John Wayne in that regard. You know what I'm saying? That sucks for us, like, strong chicks. Yeah, so obviously I'm not the chick for you. Like, us, you know, like, strong... Women. Independent. Yeah, sturdy. Sturdy. You know, women. Mom shorty. It makes it hard for us. Shut up. By strong, you mean a beating, right? No. Odor-wise. 570-1053 is the phone number. Our text number is 35253. Full show podcast. You could podcast the entire show. Just go. Just go to MikeyShow.com.

Welcome back to The Mikey Show. It is 9.02. Well, the rumors ended up being true. Last night, both Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake joined Madonna at her show in L.A. It's over, Rob.
They had a fun run. Good job, though. You were really good. Notice the bed he played, Mike. Oh, my gosh. If this doesn't wake you up on a Friday, nothing will. You'll be departed. Welcome back. It's 9.02, and we already did that, right? Yep. Thank you. Rob took care of it. You took care of it. Rob was on it. Oh, yeah, dude. I got you back. Welcome back. It's a Mikey show, and why don't we do a little bit of this? From football to baseball and everything in between, it's time to talk to the man who knows all. It's time to ask the Oracle. It's got to warm up. Okay, I didn't know this segment. Stretch it out. You feeling the burn, Eddie? Oh, it's deep. What's he doing? He's doing some of Rob's hair. Yeah, that's my yoga. Oh, the yoga poses. Yeah.
I taught him that one. You got to see these poses, by the way. Boston Rob, he did yoga putt. What is that? That is the British cigarette. So stupid. Go to MikeyShow.com. Is it on a keyword? We got to have a keyword yoga. Yeah, for sure. But if you want, you can just look at new on the show. It's a first link. But ask the Oracle. If you got a sports question, call the Oracle and we will. Talk to the Oracle. I just played it. I just played it. Ashley was giving me the, hey, you have an open desk. I remember Eddie was doing the crunches. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wow. It's Friday. Minimal blackout there. 570-1053. You want to ask Eddie a question about sports? P10 side. Yeah, hello? Go ahead, man. Yeah, I wanted to ask Eddie. What did you think about the Broncos last night?
I think it was more a lack of the Browns. Browns had a huge lead going into the fourth quarter and just completely blew it again. Jake Cutler had a huge game, threw for 447 yards. The last second touchdown of Brandon Marshall to give him the win. It was ridiculous. The Browns, like, dude, they did this. There was this one play they threw to Eddie Royal. It was a 90. like a 93-yard touchdown pass to Eddie Royal, where the cornerback, I mean, it looked like Rob out there playing cornerback. Wait. He whiffed so bad. He's really good, right? Wow. That was a 93-yard touchdown. It was a joke. So, I mean, to me, it was more of a Browns thing than it was a Broncos thing, but they are. Broncos aren't very good, and they're going to get exposed even more and more. Really? Yeah. They have no running backs. All their running backs are injured. Yeah. And their defense is atrocious. There you go. Thanks, dude. Thanks for the call, man. Thank you, Mikey. P1 Danny, you there? Yeah. Hey, how's it going? Hey, pretty good, man. What's your question for the Oracle? I was wondering, Eddie, if you think that Jerry Jones is maybe getting a little bit like Al Davis here. You know, there's rumors he was going to take over play calling. He's spending big money on big-name guys that don't seem to work out. And if you think that maybe the Cowboys could be in line to go after D'Angelo Hall.
I think that they would be absolutely in line to go after D'Angelo Hall. They've had a lot of problems at cornerback, and Jerry Jones does like to sign big-name guys. And so if I were to pick one team, that would be the team that I would think would sign D'Angelo Hall. As far as Jerry Jones being L. Davis, he absolutely is becoming L. Davis Jr. Jerry is very myopic. He's the type of guy who believes it's his way and it's the only way, even though, you know, like, Jerry, you do realize you've never been a coach or anything like that before. Just strange decision-making process, you know, that goes on in Dallas. So, yeah, I agree with you. I think that he is Al Davis Jr. Eddie, I love P1 Leonidas' question. Go ahead, Leonidas. Hey, what's going on, guys? 5'9 1⁄4", 175 pounds. Hey, there it is, ladies and gentlemen. Crack them. I love you guys. Hey, my question for Eddie is, what do you think about Buster Davis being a bust, and what do you think the Chargers should do? You know, it sucks, man, because I like Buster Davis. From what I see of him, I really do like him. He's very injury-prone, which is not good. I mean, he's got to toughen up. I mean, it seems like he's out. You know, he plays a game and he misses five games. He plays a game and misses another three. You know, that's been his pattern.
I don't know that I fully want to call him a bust just yet. I think, you know, it's still his second year. I mean, remember Vincent Jackson? I mean, it wasn't until his third year until that guy started, you know, getting on the field consistently, catching passes. So, you know, give him another season. If after the third season he's still nothing and doesn't do anything, then, yeah, call him a bust. How ironic that his name's Buster, though, Andy. Yeah, I mean, what if Buster were a bust? I mean, let's just. I'm glad she pointed that out. Stick with Fitzgerald. Eddie is the sports oracle. And if you have a question about sports, call us at 570-1053. Probably the best sports question we have ever received is on the line right now. It's P1 Hall of Famer. P1 Talon. Talon, are you there? I'd like to know how Eddie feels about the paintball event for next week. Oh, that is a great question. It's a great sports question. I think that Eddie's a little concerned about his partner. His partner is not very sporty. She doesn't really care for anything. Anything? Well, yeah. And I think he's really nervous. Well, there's certain things. It's not a ham ball competition, this guy.
I think if it were just me against Rob, I would kill him. But, I mean, he's got the... No offense. Nothing personal. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't get into it. You're analyzing. Ashley's like a Wolverine, man. She's scary when she gets in competitive situations. And so that throws a little curve into my game plan. I'm going to have to figure something out. Well, good luck, Eddie. Thank you very much. Good luck, Eddie. Something personal, bro. No big deal. P1 Lochi? You're right. I'm kind of thinking into it. What's your question for the Oracle? Yeah, I want to know how he thinks that Brandon Vera's going to turn his luck around. Yeah, it's going to be tough, man. You know, I think, you know, Brandon's probably going to get some lesser fights now. He's probably going to be shifted down into those non-televised cards. our non-televised fights on the card. And, you know, he's going to have to win a couple fights before he gets back to the level that he's expected, you know. You can't lose three out of four fights and just be like, oh, no big deal. You know, I mean, that's the way the UFC rolls, man. If you are not winning and not putting on exciting fights, then you're not going to do very well. And so, you know, the thing that I keep telling Brandon is, you know, who cares if you lose, man, but be exciting. If you go out there and are crazy and are exciting.
They'll love you. Fans will love you, and they'll want to see you fight. Look at guys like Houston Alexander. I mean, that guy hasn't won a fight since the Jardine fight, and he gets knocked out every time, but he goes out there and throws like a madman. So, I mean, hopefully he'll be exciting and win some fights, and then he'll get back on top. Thank you for the call, bro. And put me in his corner. Okay. P1 O'Reilly is on the line. Go ahead, O'Reilly. Hey, question for the Oracle. Go ahead. Is Brady Quinn a real thing, or do we need to wait until he gets to a new defense? Well, I mean, he can't control the defense, but, you know, he's the real deal. I like Brady Quinn. I liked him coming out of college. I thought the Dolphins were idiots not drafting him, you know, when they had the opportunity. But, yeah, I think Brady Quinn's the real deal. I think he played really, really well last night. I think, you know, he made some rookie mistakes, which, you know, is expected. And, you know, this time for him is really good. You know, Browns are kind of out of it now, and he can just play. and see how he does for the rest of the year, and he'll be the starting quarterback next year. Brady. Mind me, please, Brady. When you're throwing, I'm smiling. Yeah, yeah, dude. That was a different Brady, Mike. Eddie, we got a text message for you. Oracle, who do you see winning the next World Cup? That's P1 Germany. Italy. Nice. I'm glad you said that. Thank you for saying that. I don't know.
There it is. I have no idea. Oh, wait. All right, let's take one more call. Eddie, do you want college football, basketball, UFC, or... Yeah, those are the choices. Well, I love UFC, but I could talk about that all day. I'm not taking a basketball question. I don't take a basketball question. Let's do a basketball. P1E, you there? Yep, still here. Go ahead. What's your question? I was wondering how he felt about the Billups-Iverson trade, and is Iverson what Detroit needs to beat the Celtics in the East? Well, you know, I don't know that anybody's going to beat the Celtics. I mean, the Celtics, Rob, calm down. I didn't even do anything. My eyes might have got a little big. They're undefeated right now. Yeah, you know, it's going to be tough. The Pistons, you know, they're good. They play strong defense. That's not Allen Iverson's suit. You know, I mean, I think they do need some scoring. And he'll definitely do that. He'll definitely help him out. But Chauncey Billups was a good fit in Detroit. So it'll be interesting. I don't really know what's going to happen. I mean, we got six Eastern Conference Finals. I think Iverson might push us over the edge. I need a little backing here. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. To be the man, you've got to beat the man. And right now, the Celtics are the man. Thank you. All right, dude. Thanks for the call. No problem. That's a little...
That's a little ass of Oracle. We do that every week. You can call and you can ask questions of the Oracle because he knows everything about sports and he can help you out. Especially soccer. Italy. Italy. Big time. Italia. That's right. So I have kind of a strange question to throw out there. All right. But I want to know what the most, and I only call and weigh in on this. If the number that you're going to give me is outrageous. All right. Most texts on a bill. Now, if you're going to call me and you're going to say 300, I don't want to hear from you. That's baby stuff. That's baby stuff. I want to hear from you. If you have had the most, if you think in your mind, you're like, I think I might have a number here that. On one bill. On one bill. And it could be, you know, you could have a phone for your kid. You know, for your teenager, whatever. Oh, teens are crazy. Yeah. With that text message. Oh, those little whippersnappers. You got to get the unlimited. Yep. There he is. It's the unlimited guy. Simply the best. Ah, he does that too. He thinks he's better than all the rest, right? But you got to get the unlimited because they're going to be doing it so much, the texting. Oh, yeah. So I want to know.
That may have prompted you to get the unlimited. Oh, crap. I texted my girlfriend 9,000 times. That's right. Is there a way to go on my phone on the phone, you think, and tell you how many texts you've had? It comes on your bill, right? It's on your bill. You can go online maybe and look. Sky, you get about four or five texts a month, right? Yeah, that's pretty generous. I don't know. Sky, you don't text, do you? No, I respond to texts if I receive one. You texted me yesterday. Oh, yeah, I did. But because my husband wouldn't turn the music down in the car, so I couldn't call. Yeah, call us on this. Should we take a break? No, we don't have to. Okay, cool. 570-1053. I don't want to. P1 Top Flight. Yeah, I had 2,500 and some change, like 25 and numbers. That's the most that I've ever had. 2,500 text messages. Guess what? P1 Anna on line two has you beat. Already. P1 Anna. Hi, guys. We got 3,206. Yes, we do. 3,206. Who are you talking to?
It wasn't me. I got a family share plan. Yeah. And I guess I didn't get enough texts. And me and my cousin ran up that bill. Well, that's all right, Anna, because P1 Jose has you beat on line four. Jose, how many texts did you get in a month? 3,522. Oh, 3,522. That's crazy. Who did you text? Purple tunnel? Yeah, man. Well, most of the time with my girlfriend and my bros that I have around. Like, you know how somebody says I smoke a pack a day? If they say they smoke a pack a day, in general, you're going to see them smoking a lot. Yeah. You know, they're going to be smoking outside. You're going to see them smoking. If they're going through a pack a day, you're going to see them smoking. If you're texting 3,522 texts per month, you're going to be seeing that person texting so much. But, but. It is not as much as some of the other folks that I'm getting text messages from right now. Of course. P1 New York Dirty Sanchez text to say, Mikey, I just checked and last month I had 6,354 text messages. Stop it. I had about 1,500 a week. Wow. How is that possible?
Whoa. I don't know, but it's a lot. 1,500 a week. Yeah, that's what he said. Oh, he did. I thought he said 150. Uh-uh. And Rob here is a little dyslexic. Yes, he does. He hears things. He does. He hears it backwards. Hey, people and Mike here in the studio is raising his hand. Mike, how many? 8,000. Dude, what are you doing? 8,000 text messages? Is it mostly to one person? A girl. 2,000 a week. How often were you texting? Yep. It's like an addiction. Dang. It's not as much as P1 Toeboy. Toeboy, you there? Yes, indeedy. Is this true? Yes, it is. Can you prove it? I can't prove it. This is years back when they first came out with the unlimited text feature on phones. Uh-huh. I thought I had it. And it turns out it didn't. So keep in mind that text... Before you... Hang on, hang on, hang on. Before you tell us how many texts, tell us how much it cost. There were 10 cents a text.
So how much was the bill? Over $1,100. Oh, my gosh. Because you texted how many times? So your cell phone bill for one month was $1,100. Oh. Yeah. Well, I mean, this is when the free unlimited text first came out. I totally thought I signed up for it. Right. Didn't. So how many text messages did you send? I mean, I didn't even talk on the phone at the time. It was just texting. So do you know how many? Texting is awesome. It's real quick. I don't got to talk to you. Do you know how many you did that month? Oh, God. The phone bill literally looked like a book. They sent it to you at that point in that big envelope. They don't even fold the pages. It's like a really thick novel. Right. Gotcha. Thank you for the call. $1,000 cell phone bill. I've had a $2,000 cell phone bill before. What? What was it, Ash? It was crazy. What caused it? Um, basically I had a boyfriend and I was in Texas and he was in Santa Barbara and I was, cause I was on vacation in Texas and I thought that, um, I, I had roaming on my phone and I didn't know what that meant. So I thought that I just had my normal service, but they were charging me for roaming. How much? Like 25 cents a minute? Like something like that. Right. And then text messages cause I was texting him all the time and combined the two. How old were you? I was 19.
And it's $2,000? And it was back-to-back months. The first month, it was like $1,000. The second month, $2,000. Back-to-back months. So did you have to pay it or did you call them and explain, hey, I didn't realize. I had to pay it. It's crazy. That's gnarly. Crazy. That's gnarly. Mikey, my daughter's phone is at 4,253 texts right now and we're not done with this month yet. That's P1 Dad. Whoa. I can talk about text etiquette. Yeah. Text etiquette. Like what? Well, is there a proper time to text and a proper time not to text? And have you ever sent the text to somebody and they call you immediately? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Hate it. I do that. Well, that's why we're texting here. I'd rather talk to you than explain it. No, no, no. See, I do that. Can we hang up, please? Can we hang up, please? I always, like, will just call as opposed to because texting, like, I'm not a big texter. Like, I get tired and bored.
explaining it over typing. I'd rather just verbalize. I won't answer it and I'll make a story of why I can't answer. I'll do that too. You've done that to me before, actually. Yeah, probably. Zeth. Can you explain why you do not like to talk on the phone? I really can't. I just know that I don't. I think it's maybe because I'm not really good at... expressing myself or explaining certain things, right? What's your job title? So, does that mean that you do it? Yes. He's checking. He's like, I can hear people express themselves. I just don't like doing it. And so, Zeth, do you, so you prefer, you like to text? Yeah. You like to text. It's just so tough because, you know, I know Zeth doesn't like to, you know, he doesn't want to talk. So I never call him, and I know that even if I do call him, he ain't picking up. I'm getting the voicemail. He's in a meeting with corporate. That's right. Thank you. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 5701053. Sure, yes. Rock 105.3. I'm 25. Well, this is kind of hard for me to believe, but Miley Cyrus says her first job was at 11 years old working for a cleaning service. He did everything right but win. Brady Quinn had a big game, but the Browns blow another fourth-quarter lead and lose to the Broncos 34-30. Quinn says they're not doing what they need to do. Can't do it. I think in the end, we're just not finishing the way we need to. And, you know, again, the last shot, there's just evidence of that. You know, not doing what I need to do to get the job done and drive our team down for the final score. That's a pretty honest assessment of itself, I guess. But he was good. I mean, guys, Eddie says you guys are good. Real good game. Let's see. Mikey, I work for a cell phone company, had a customer come in that sent 15,000 text messages last month. Oh, my gosh. That's gross. Let's be on edge. Wow.
How do you have the time? That's all you do. Yeah. That's it. You cannot spend your time not doing that. You don't eat. You don't sleep. You text. Mikey, my ex-wife, would text 200 to 300 times a day. That's P1 yogurt. Oh, my. P1 Perla had 12,000 text messages. Oh, my gosh. You there, Perla? Yes. 12,000, huh? Unlimited, obviously, right? Yeah. And who would you text mostly? My ex-boyfriend. Wow. Dang. Is that why he broke up with you? We didn't see each other. We saw each other like once a week and he lived in Orange County. I lived down in Vista. So all we do, I'd be in school all day, so all we do is text all day. Oh my goodness. Why'd you break up? He left for school, Arizona. Yeah. Did you text him for a while when he was there? For a while, yeah, but not as much.
There it is. Thank you, Perla. Appreciate it. Thanks for the call. Yeah, it could get pretty expensive. Let's see. My brother's racking up a $2,200 bill next month. That's P1 Schwing. Let's see. A couple things we have not mentioned yet that we still have to go over. Me and Boy Blunder were having an Obama debate. Shut up. Was that online? It was. Dude, my wife was telling me about that. What do you mean? She saw it going on. It was between you and Blender, right, online? Yeah, yeah, but I didn't think that it was on the Facebook wall. I thought that it was going on emails back and forth, like through Facebook. Yeah, she said that, I don't know that she read the content of whatever it was, but she told me either, I think it was last night, she goes, I think Mike and Blender were having some kind of exchange about...
About that. And I was like, oh, wow. Yeah, it wasn't a bad exchange. No, no. Did you win? Well, I guess that would be a matter of opinion, I guess. Why didn't this happen on the air? I don't know. It happened over Facebook? Yeah, it happened over Facebook. You could have changed his mind. Yeah, right. Hey, listen. You know, believe it or not, and some of you will not believe it. I don't believe it. I do not believe it. I'm telling you, though, it's the truth. He really gets it. I mean, he's a smart guy. I mean, we don't agree. Fish knows his stuff. Dude, I'm telling you. Eddie, I'm telling you. Fish knows what's up when it comes to politics. Now, we disagree. I don't believe you. Continue. I told him I don't agree with him. Did he put the F word on the air when you were doing this? No. Come on. Eddie's kind of got a point there. You know what I'm saying? That has nothing to do with it. I think it has everything to do with it. Yes, it does. Come on. Let's see. Blender knows his stuff. You come on. He worked for the Obama campaign. Or I should say he volunteered. Yeah. For the Obama campaign. Did he really? Oh, yeah. He worked the phone banks. No way. Calling people. Yeah. Whole thing. Look at him. Did he put the F word on the air? On what air? He put it on over the phone. Over the phone. On the phone. He was just calling people with the F word. Well, that's what he does. That is not what he does. Oh. It actually is. It is on the wall. You're on the wall. Is it? Yeah. Oops. I didn't realize.
Oh, no. No, no, no. Just the first part of it is. Just the first part of it was. It was like the very first lob that I made. Gotcha. It was the very first lob. Oh, so you were the instigator. No, no, no, no. Let me explain. Let me explain before you say that, Skye. Explain. You know how you can put your status? You can write your status? Yes. Yes, Skye. I'm not a Facebooker. There's this thing called the internet. Yeah. And the way that it works is one of those beeper things that everyone's talking about. I heard it's got hundreds of songs on it. Yeah, you can even shop for like parachute pants or whatever. It seems almost limitless. Yes. Yeah, I put that on election day, a lot of my friends were libs. And so I said something like, I don't think I have any conservative friends. And so he wrote me and he was like, well, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I doubt that. It actually said. Not even close. I believe it. And so I wrote him back and I said, oh, really? Well, blah, blah, blah, blah. Nice. Well, you told him. That's right. Nice. And so then we started blah, blah, blah all over the place. Yeah. But, uh, yeah, I'd say he's pretty good. You know, I'd say he's pretty smart. He's a smart kid. Uh,
In just a little bit, we're going to be telling you who the winner of the worst tattoo contest is. Awesome. I think that won the guy from Fantasy Island. Oh, no, Sky. That's a different tattoo. No, but that's the worst tattoo. He's the best tattoo. He's actually me. How dare you say that. Well, that's who I voted for. He's my tattoo. You don't speak of him like this. I'm your tattoo, boss. That's right. Me. You're the best tattoo. Thank you, boss. Don't let this crazy woman speak of you like this. My bad. Kick her in the shin. Take that. Take that. Come on. Take that. I was confused. Every time I kick my foot, it doesn't reach her. I know. You are a mijot. Take that. I can't kick her, boss. You hit her upper toe. Tag that. Here, climb on my back. Oh, no. Spinal beefy docket. You idiot. That was a bad idea. That was a bad idea. And boss. Oh, what? Will you take me to the wild animal park? What? Oh, it's so much fun. Speak English. I say. Tattoo. Will you take me to the wild animal park? I can't understand you. Boss.
Oh, man. Oh, my God. I want to ride the tram. The what? I don't. He wants to ride a what? I want to ride the tram. I'm having a hard time. The tram. The tram? Are you on your medication? Yes, both of them. I knew it. And I want a churro. A churro? Are you pleased by me a churro? Yes, tattoo. I knew a churro. Good man. Hey, boss. What? Will you take me to all the different sites in the United States? Yes, Tattoo. We will start with the largest ball of yarn. Wow. Yeah, boss. Exciting. And then I want to ride Route 66, Sea Ground Zero, and eat at some place that has, like, baseball players there. Baseball players? Okay, Tattoo. We will do that. Yes. Hey, boss.
Yes, Tattoo. Did you know that beef and dogs can smell? Yeah. Tattoo, everybody knows you were up for that part and you did not get it. He's still a little bitter. Get over it. I didn't get it, boss. That little white kid got it because he was white. Yes, and the, uh, lick Nicky. Yeah, they were racist, you know. They said you're not right with the buzz because you're Venezuela. No, Tattoo. It was because you were 62 at the time. Hey, Buzz. Yes, Tattoo. Will you take me to see Max Payne in IMAX? No, you are not tall enough. You have to be a certain child to go to the IMAX. Yes, to go to the IMAX. Plus, you will drip blood all over the seat with all the hole in your head. You don't have to point that out. But you have a giant hole in your head. You blow your brains out. You know he's sensitive about it. Well, I'm sensitive about the spinal bifida and this guy's climbing right under my back. Get off, you midget. Hey, bud. Yes, Tattoo? Letigra market it having a sale on refried beans today. What is that supposed to mean, Tattoo?
I thought we were going to go there together. Oh, my gosh. It is because I am Latin. Yes, but I was making it. I knew you were. I do not appreciate that. Hey, boss. Yes. Let's go to the Cheesecake Factory. I love the avocado egg rolls. Their menu is too large. I cannot finish that whole menu. I get to the sandwich section and my back aches so bad. Because of the menu size and my spinal beefy dog. It's a really big menu. Oh, it's too much. You can feed me on the table and I will turn the pages for you. You are not a baby, Tattoo. Get out of my Bjorn. Why are you wearing it? For support of my spinal baby dog. Sorry. How many times? Sorry. But you haven't seen a man eat his own head. Physically impossible. It is not impossible. What is this, seven? Will you at least think about Max Payne? I find Mark Wahlberg irritating. What? That's impossible. That's impossible. Say hi to your mother for me. What?
That is a great one. Extra points for you. Come rob me like actors from Massachusetts. Good question. That is not true. Who else do you like? Let's see. Will Smith. You're so stupid. He's originally from Hopkinson. Awesome. Oh, my gosh. 570-1053. Anyway. Here's our phone number. Hey, do we have the info? We don't have a phone number. I dropped the guy an email. Okay, but we have his name? Yeah. Okay. Can you give me that? Okay, now if you go to MikeyShow.com and you type in the keyword tattoo, you can go to our worst tattoo section. We've been doing this for a couple of weeks. Taking submissions and people have been voting all week long. And if you click on click here to vote on the submissions, you will see all of these different bad tattoos. And laser away tattoo and hair removal experts are going to remove somebody's tattoo. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. With 34.02% of the vote, it is P1 Rob. And it's pretty bad. And laser away tattoo and hair removal experts are going to be removing that tattoo for him. Awesome! It's pretty awesome. And thank you to everybody that... Put in a submission. Go there anyway. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Those people need it. They do a pretty good job. Yeah, those people definitely need it. Those are bad. Yeah, right. Leo DiCaprio says that he's ready to pass on the sex symbol torch to younger stars. But he's still sexy. Well, he's done with it. He's done with it. Yeah, I didn't really know that. Yeah, I didn't know this was sexy. 1997, but anyway. Wow, look at that. Well, Skye, you didn't see him up close. Oh, no, I'm not saying he's not sexy. I'm just saying I don't pick up a magazine and see him on the cover. No, what you got to do is see him up close. I met him, see, in Vegas this one time, and I met him, and then I got to shake his hand, and then we were friends, and he looks up close. He looks really great, but maybe I'm biased because, you know, he's in my phone.
He's not in your phone. He's not in your phone. Well, no, she typed his name in there. His name is in my phone. The number is in my phone. She doesn't have a number yet. Well, Ashley's BF, Sweet Leo, says that now he looks at people like Zac Efron and says, go get it, pal, so they can leave me in peace. He said he was never happy being a teen idol. He never wanted to be a sex symbol. It was just the work, the craft that appealed to him. Wow. I believe him. Well, of course you do. He's a very down-to-earth humble man when I met him. Can you stop? Speaking of people, speaking of people that we think are good-looking, Austin Robb will be happy to know that Mariah Carey brings 20 suitcases on a three-day trip. She went to London this week for three days to do an appearance on The X Factor, and she was photographed coming out of the airport with, of course, her helpers or whatever pushing the luggage carts. Called Entourage. 20 suitcases for just Mariah for a three-day trip. What's in there? What's in there? And it's really true, Scott. I saw the pictures. Yeah. It was like three of those separate huge luggage carts, and they were stacked to the top with luggage. And she's just all... What's in there? Costume change. And she was going where? To do an appearance on The X Factor in London. A big coat. Yeah, a couple of big coats. Because it rains in London.
Like, all the time. Look at Rob. Yeah, defending his girl. So stupid. Curling iron. Curling iron. I should have naturally curly hair. Yeah, but you got to fix them. You got to throw some of those in. Oh, well, you know what? You got to bring basically everything, like food, because you're going to a different country, so you don't want to eat their food. You don't? Massage table. Yeah, you got to bring that guy. What the mesus? And you got to bring the plugs to plug into their thing because they have different kind of plugs. What is he talking about? I don't know. I checked out like 10 minutes ago. A pony. In Arizona, a jogger ran for a mile with a fox attached to her arm. Oh, what I would have paid to see that. Oh, YouTube it. Dude. Yeah, so this chick was jogging. Hey, check that chick out. She's foxy. And a fox. Thank you. She was jogging and a fox jumped out and attacked her and bit her foot. I heard it said, forget. Yeah. And so she went to. I heard it jumped over the moon. Damn it. The fox jumped over. Okay.
See you guys later. And so then she went to grab the fox by the neck to get it off her foot and it latched onto her arm and she figured, you know what, this animal could have rabies. This was Benny Hill. And they need to, like, capture the animal, you know, to test it for rabies. So she just figured, you know what? I'm taking this sucker with me. So it's latched onto her arm. She jogs a mile back to her car, rips it off her arm, and throws it in her trunk, slams the trunk, and then goes to the hospital. And then the nurse jumps out with big boobs. Solid fast-speed motion. Man jumps out. He's got him on the head. That's crazy. Hey, the Dow Jones was down for a second day in a row. Yeah, and I don't know how it is this morning, but the October employment report came out this morning saying that 240,000 jobs were lost in October, bringing our unemployment rate in the country to 6.5%.
So I don't know. That's probably not good. Money, money, money. Stop, drop, and roll. Yep. That's what they say you're supposed to do. Oh, no. It's 570-1053. Love to hear from you. Way to go. Ashley. Yes. Flying somewhere? This guy's unbelievable. Why are you going to the airport? Want to hear the most annoying sound in the world? Flying somewhere? Why are you going to the airport? Flying somewhere? For dinner last night, B-Rob and his fiance went to Soup Plantation. Oh. Soupy. Did you catch anything? It is awesome, man. No, I didn't. Every time I go there, I think to myself, I'm like, oh, these kids are running around here. I'm going to catch a cold. Oh, those kids. Like, I think parents just drop their kids off. I don't think they have parents. Why do you go there then? They might be wild kids. You know what I mean? Feral kids. Feral kids. It happens. I'm convinced. You never know. Yeah. By the way, we have the winner of the worst tattoo contest online right now. Yes. Hey, P1 Rob. Hey, what's going on, man? Congratulations. Thanks, sir. What happened? Yeah, you are a winner. So where did you get this thing, and what is it? It actually was supposed to be a dragon that was sitting across my shoulders. And my older brother told me when I just turned 18, and let's just say neither one of us were sober when it went on. Oh, what a surprise. Oh, wow. Seems like the common theme with these tattoos. It is. It is definitely the common theme.
Yeah, you can tell where I sobered up is when it stopped. That's why it was never finished. Oh, my gosh. For sure. I tried to get it covered up for the past 12 years now, and no shop will touch it. Oh, wow. Wow. Well, you're going to get to have it covered up. Get it removed. So, yeah, man. You get that sucker removed. Yeah, dude. I'm so stoked about that, man. All my coworkers are in the office streaming right now. I have to come outside. That's very, very cool. Congratulations for having the worst tattoo ever made. I mean, the worst. Worst. Let me put it to you. I decided to take my brother off of my MySpace page just so he couldn't see it because I didn't want to hurt his feelings when he saw that. I was trying to get it removed. Yeah. Dude. Yeah, it's pretty bad. Hey, thank you, man. We appreciate it, man. All right. No, thank you. All right. We'll see you. There he is. It's P1 Rob. And thank you so much to Laser Away tattoo and hair removal experts who are going to be doing that. On Monday's show, we're going to be doing an update on Weekend Worry Wars. Oh, man. We had some good ones. That's right. Eddie, you got an appearance this weekend? I have a gigantode.
Toad. What do you got? Me and Luis Castillo. San Diego Chargers. Ever hear of him? Hello. Tomorrow are going to be hanging out at Macy's together. Hey. We're going to do a little shopping. Maybe go see a movie. I don't know. Me and Luis Castillo going to be at Macy's in Fashion Valley from 2 to 4. Luis, we'll sign stuff for you. We're going to do a little Q&A. Really? It's going to be a really cool appearance. He's going to be doing stuff with Perry Ellis. That's awesome. Awesome. It's going to be really cool. 2 to 4 tomorrow with me, Luis Castillo, hanging out at Macy's in Fashion Valley. Hey, Rob, you got something? Yeah. And then after that, we'll go 2 to 4 there and then string by a little place. Called the RT Longboards. Ever heard of it? Ever heard of it? Down in Pacific Beach. I'll be down there from 5 till 645. Kicking it, watching some college football. You know, the BC game. Ever heard of it? There it is. Very cool. Go hang out. Go hang out with Eddie. Go hang out with B-Rob. This is all going to be happening this weekend.
Skye and myself, we will be lounging at our own homes. Actually, I will be somewhere. Tonight I'm going out to Whole Foods to meet Maynard. Maynard signing wine out at the Whole Foods in La Jolla. Maynard from Tool? Yeah, Maynard from Tool. Signing wine? He has a winery, and him and his business partner are going to be out there, and if you buy a bottle of their wine, they'll autograph it for you. Now, they're only autographing the wine if you purchase it, so don't think you can go down there with albums and whatever. Sweetberry Wine! It's going to be awesome. I'm not being paid or anything to be out there. I'm going out there as a fan. Will you sign stuff? Will I sign stuff? Yeah. By the right price, yeah. I mean, it depends on what we're talking about. Get off the glossies. I think people are there for Maynard. Did you bring a Shopee? Stop it. I do not provide my own Shopees. I do not provide a Shopee. All right, calm down.
570-1053 is our phone number at the beginning and end of every show. We do an open phone segment, so you can call us right now. And Ash, what page? Putting it up right now, sorry. Okay, where are you putting the name page? Front page, yeah. Front page. Mike? Yes? I'll be out at Oak Ridge if anybody wants to come out and see me. He's there every weekend. Probably going to go and get soft serve at Dairy Queen or maybe Blizzard. You know, it's messed up that Sean does this because we have P1s that listen online in San Jose and they look for you out at Oak Ridge. And they don't find you. He's never there. And I'll also, maybe I'll go to Cold Stone. Not sure which, but either one of those places, I'll see you out there. Okay, great. There he is. That's our boy, Sean. Ashley? Can I give a shout-out of something going on tonight for my friend? Sure. Everybody's doing it. What the heck? You can. Well, Dave Navarro, our friend of the show, Dave Navarro, he's performing tonight at Stingery at 11 p.m. I didn't know that they did live bands. Me neither. Especially, like, that big. Dave Navarro from, like... Yeah. The Red Hot Chili Peppers? Yeah. Him? Yeah.
Jane's Addiction? Mascara? Common Elektra? Are we talking about the same person? That's him? That's your friend? That's your friend, Ashley? No, my friend Melissa is putting it together. Oh. But... I thought Dave Noraro was your friend. P1, Steve is on the line. Steve Leo's my friend. Hey, yeah, what's up, guys? I got a question for Eddie real quick. Go ahead. Eddie, you are the sports guru, but I need some advice on my fancy team before you get all booked up on Sunday morning. First of all, I'm not a sports guru. I'm the sports oracle. He is the oracle. I'm the guru. That's right. My apologies. My apologies. What's up, bro? Anyways, all right. So I'm pretty stacked on running backs. I got Michael Turner, Frank Gore, D'Angelo Williams, or Muelby Moore this weekend. Pick two. First team mentioned, man. Go with your big guns, always. So you're thinking Turner and Gore? Absolutely. Those, by the way, those are my running backs too. There you go. You guys are going to win. Yeah, those are my running backs too. Don't overthink matchups, bro. I mean, you can do that and it will just kill you. I would rather lose with my big guns than overthinking and play a guy that I think is going to have a big week and then Michael Turner has 300 yards rushing. That would suck. Right. You know what I mean? I agree. Do what you got to do, but I would go with Gore and Turner.
Perfect. All right, Oracle, thank you. Good luck, man. Thank you, brother. Watch my Waldie Moore now. I have like 500 yards. Oh, man. Mikey Show, hello. What's up, guys? What are you doing? What's up, dude? Chilling. Hey, I missed the tool thing. Where's Maynard going to be at? It's tonight starting at 5 o'clock at Whole Foods in La Jolla. And if you wait in line, you purchase a bottle of his wine, him and his business partner in their winery will autograph it for you. I mean, that's pretty huge. Oh, that's way huge. I'll be there waiting in line with you. All right. Well, you'll see me tonight for sure, then, because Maynard's the man. And by your own shopping. Yeah. Shopping. Shut up, man. Mikey Sham. Hello. Mikey. Yo. Hey, this is P1 Push. What's up? Hey, I just wanted to call and say so long to you guys. I'm moving today. Where are you going? I am going to Salt Lake City. Really? Yeah, I got a job up there, so I just wanted to call and say thanks for everything. I've been listening to you guys now for three and a half years, and through my hard times and through my good times, you guys have always made me laugh every morning. Oh, dude, that's awesome. Awesome! I'll listen to you guys online, and heck, I might even give you guys a shout down the road. That's awesome, and hey, man, don't forget that you can get our whole show now on podcast. We do the whole entire show on podcast.
Oh, cool, cool. Right on. I'll look into it. Awesome, brother. Thank you. All right, thank you. Mikey Show, hello. Hello. Go ahead. You're on the air. Oh, I just wanted to tell you that I was listening to the text messaging segment, and I have the bill to prove it. 16,000 texts. 16,000? 16,000. Dude. Me and my buddies were doing actually a contest to see who would spend the most texts and whoever won. Was going to get his phone paid for the whole month. Was going to get his what? His phone bill paid. Well, they were unlimited texts, I'm guessing, though, right? Yeah, yeah, for sure, yeah. Yeah, and who were you texting? All my friends. I have, like, over 200 people on my phone, and everybody was texting me. What is... Huh? There's something going on in the studio. What is going on? Sorry. Thanks, man. Thanks. So confused. What is going on?
Melissa was having a little hard time over there when we were doing the texting segment staying awake. Yeah, she was like laying down sleeping. And so when we went into commercial, we're like, we're so sorry. We tried to whisper. We didn't want to wake you. And she's like, no, it's just that texting thing was so... Boring. Yeah, and we're like, what? So what? So when this guy started talking about texting again, this guy was pretending to fall asleep. Yes. That's awesome. Oh, wow. Yeah, what's the deal? Maylisa, did you just get off like a 28-hour show or what happened? Well, I do work two jobs. Yeah? Were you working last night? Yeah. Yeah? And in the morning. I worked at 6.30 and then I worked again in the evening. Do you do like an overnight shift? Oh, no. I'm not crazy. No. Just tie-tie. And music rehearsal, too. Really? Are you in the band Donkey, what is it called? Boo Donkeys. I auditioned, and they haven't called me back. They haven't? She's in a Jets cover band. That's right. That's awesome. Hey, at the end of the show on Friday, I tell you my story. And just tell you a little bit about what my...
what my history has been and where it's brought me. And it, you know, the thing about it is, you know, today has been a really fun day in the studio. We've had a really good time today. And I think that there are times where I'm really appreciative of the good times that I have now. Because the truth is, is that when I was in my addiction, I didn't have a lot of good times. And I wasn't present for a lot of conversations when I was in them. I recently got, I heard from somebody on Facebook and added them as my friend. And they, you know, I hadn't known, I haven't talked to them for a while. And the person wrote me back and said, you know, I'm really surprised to hear that you would be adding me as your friend because every time I ever met you, you were always really rude. And one time.
I met you at a party at your house with a bunch of people. And I remember that I was talking to you and you went upstairs and you closed your door and you went to sleep. And I don't even remember this. And I had to write the person back and say, I'm really, really sorry that I did that. And I said, and you know, the thing that really is a bummer about it is I wish that I could write every single person back that I've ever done that to. Because I know that there's probably a lot of people that I don't know about that have the same exact story. And there may be people that are listening right now and you go, yeah, I'm actually living that right now. And that's why I tell you about this story, about me and where I came from. Because there was a lot of experiences like that where I just, and that's the most embarrassing part about it is that I don't even remember. I don't remember so many of those things. Because I was so sick. All I can do now is tell people I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I never meant to be rude to you like that. And that's exactly what it was. It was rude. There have been times in my life where I have felt so absolutely 100% alone. Loneliness is a really awful feeling. There may be people that are listening right now that have lost a family member.
or that have lost a husband or a wife, God forbid, a kid. There may be people that are listening right now that are going through really hard times financially. There may be people that are listening right now that are addicted to cocaine or heroin. That was my deal. I was addicted to alcohol. Somewhere around 2003, Jesus Christ had come into my life and make my life different. Sometimes I feel them in my life and it's just this overwhelming feeling. It's nothing like the feelings that I used to have when I was in my addiction and I was using alcohol to numb myself from feelings that I was having. And I did that for a long, long time. For a really long time. If you go to my website, MikeyShow.com and you click on the keyword section and you type in the word help, it'll take you to another website. And that's a page that's been designed for...
Addiction. Depression. Any of the things that you could be feeling that have to do with all the stuff I've been talking about. Only the reason that I tell you about all this stuff is because there's hope. That's one of the biggest things that I was missing during that period of time in my life. I was missing any kind of hope. I felt like my... situation was hopeless and that it was never going to get better and there may be people that are listening right now where you feel that way too. I just want to let you know when I allowed Jesus Christ to come into my life and change my life, that's what made the difference. Does it feel like I'm talking to you right now? Like I'm talking directly to you right now? Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. A song by a band called Third Day at the end of the show on Friday.
Third day is going to be playing a benefit concert. And I just got offered the opportunity to emcee this concert. Oh, really? Yeah. It's really, really cool. And I want to invite all you guys, too. It's really going to be cool. It's going to be December the 6th. And it's for Miles Ahead. The concert is going to be at the Rock Church. This is kind of like unheard of. that a band that big. Cause you know, in, in the Christian music genre, they're like the Metallica of their genre, you know, and they're going to be doing this benefit at the rock church and tickets are between $30 and $50. If you go to miles ahead.com you can get information on it. And when the tickets sell out, they sell out. So that's going to be it. You guys, they want to give tickets to everybody on the show so you guys don't have to worry about it. But if you, you know, please go to milesahead.com and get tickets to the show because all of the proceeds go to Miles Ahead. And Miles Ahead is a program where they go into other countries. And not only do they preach the gospel, but they also are rebuilding.
rebuilding hospitals and bringing medical supplies. They just brought millions of dollars worth of medical supplies to other countries. And they're just doing a lot of work in other countries too. What a great cause. It's really awesome. It's really, really cool what they do. And so I'll be telling you more about it between now and December 6th. It's four weeks away, but you can go to milesahead.com. M-I-L-E-S. milesahead.com, and get tickets for it. And like I said, I'm going to be emceeing it. It's on a Saturday night, and it's really going to be a lot of fun. And what am I not telling you about it? Oh, we're going to have tickets to give away. They're going to give us some tickets to be able to give away. So over the next few weeks, we'll be giving away tickets to it. But this is Third Day, and the song that we play is called Tunnel, and it's from their album called Wherever You Are. And the words to it are really amazing. It's a very hopeful song. Their music is super hopeful. And, yeah, it's a very hopeful song. Really listen to the lyrics and the words of this. And we'll see you again on Monday. Lovely and talented Missy is coming up next. And today she's got Free Form Friday. Don't forget to go see Eddie and Rob out this weekend. And we will see you on Monday morning. Mikey Scherz out late.
