Fire Department, they'll reduce staffing at double truck stations, stations with more than one fire vehicle. I'm proposing that we suspend service at seven branch libraries, nine recreation centers, and a gymnasium. This plan reduces my office budget by 8%. Core functions, public safety, water and wastewater service, and infrastructure maintenance were protected. The city attorneys in both Los Angeles and San Francisco have filed legal challenges to the gay marriage ban. Padres' first baseman, Adrian Gonzalez, wins his first gold glove. Greg Maddox won his 18th. Yeah, they call him something different. Really? What's that? The Hot Hand Award. Hot Hand Award. You know, when you got the hot hand. Welcome to the show. It's a Mikey show. It is 6-0-4.
And yeah, there was absolutely no plan to change our opening music to this music. The thing is, is that, you know, during the election stuff and as we're announcing it, we kind of played it and it sounded kind of cool in it. We got a lot of texts and emails and I found myself through the rest of the day going, that cinched it for me when I was singing like that girl, you know, doing that girl stuff. So how about a phone number for you rascals? Give us a call. 570-1053 is the phone number, and the text number is 35253, so you can text us if you want to as well. And don't forget, P1 Answering Machine is available for you. And the number for that, 858-715-1923. And the reason that we have the P1 Answering Machine is so that you can call and leave messages or anything you want.
You can leave messages like make a comment, ask a question. You use it as an answering machine or a voicemail for your friends on your cell phone. You can use it in the same exact way. Yes, I'm on the phone. 647 a.m. Tuesday, November 4th. Hey, you guys. This is P1. I ain't got no money in my wallet. Hey, I just want to say I love your show, man. You guys are awesome. The thing that keeps on bringing it back to you guys is the, you know, different backgrounds, different personalities you guys have, different ages, you know, from Seth. Me personally, I'm 26. You guys have Seth at, you know, 2021. All the way to Skye at 60. So, you know, different personalities. You guys are awesome. You guys are funny. I'll be listening to you guys for the rest of my life.
Love you. Love you. 858-715-1923 is the number for the P1 answering machine. And he loves everybody from Seth. Yeah. Seth is my favorite. You know, who's a pretty young guy. Yeah. It's really good. And then he says Sky, who is 60, 62, 60, whatever. Okay. And so you got to love that. And now is your open phone time. Call about anything. 570-1053. You can call us, say hello, whatever, talk about anything you want to. TV, questions, whatever. News of the day. And text 35253. Let's go around the room, introduce everybody, and then start the show. I'm Mikey, and I am 38 years old. And I won't be 39 until May. So I have a way, a ways to go. I am looking forward more to the... Thanksgiving sandwiches the day after than I am really to the Thanksgiving dinner itself. You know, I am definitely a Wonder Bread guy. I like the white meat for the sandwich the day after. And I basically assemble all of Thanksgiving dinner in the sandwich. Put it all in there. I like it all in there.
And we've discussed this on the air, Eddie and Sky and all of us. We all have a very different way that we like our sandwich. And Rob, I could tell right away, was not down with my methods. But that's only because he's wrong about this. He's very young and immature. That's right. Very naive. As he grows into more of an adult, mature man, he will understand how to do this. It's Wonder Bread. And the entire sandwich made up of the dinner from the night before. Uh, Eddie's our producer, our sports guy. He's 35 years old and is of Italian and Mexican descent and is from Northern California. We're from the same hometown. And, uh, Eddie, you met, have you found a lot of your old friends or any of that stuff on that Facebook? Yeah. Um, quite a few of people that I went to high school with have contacted me on that, but I don't know. I don't even recognize half of them. Dude. Somebody yesterday, not kidding you, seven years old. Seven years old. They lived across the street. They lived across the street when I was seven years old. It's really cool. And it's such a trip because I remember her mom was real young. You know, when I was seven, her mom was super young. She looks, it was like.
Going back in a time machine and looking at her mother when I was seven. Wow. You know, her now. True. Just a trip, you know. Skye is our news girl. She is the only senior citizen news girl in the country at this point at 63 years old. I'm 31. And so we're very proud, you know, to be in that position. Thank you. And. Full opportunity employer. That's right. Yeah. That's right. We do employ the elderly. All right. Sky's rocking the hoodie today. Hi. And yeah, there you go. It's a little chilly this morning. She was nominated for a Grammy, but not the music award. Just an old person. I thought she was nominated for a Grammy. Yeah. That's it. Yeah. I misspoke. That's right. Her husband was not. Not nominated for a Grampy. She was nominated for a Grammy. Yeah, he was not. He was not nominated for a Grampy. He likes him older, Mike. That's right. He was up for a Cool Hair Award, though. He was, for sure. And should have won. A couple times. Should have won every year. Every year. In every category. Okay. Let's see. What band is he in, by the way? He is. He's not in a band. Eddie, what band is he in? He's in the Boo Donkeys. The Boo Donkeys? The Boo Donkeys.
Just figure that one out, all right? And Shawnee, oh boy, is our sound effects guy. I do not want to see people coming to our events wearing Blue Donkey t-shirts, all right? It's the stupidest. Get it out of your system now. P1 site. Hey, P1 site. Get it out of your system, will ya? Please. I don't need it. I need to deal with this. You know what I'm saying? I know you people with your t-shirts and all your stuff. I know. Get it out of your system, please. Shawnee, oh boy, is our sound effects man. He's 38. He's up in the Bay Area. It's raining up here. It is. There you go. Is it? Is it raining? Is it raining up there? Oh, there it is. There it is. Thank you. I love you. We see Shawnee on a camera, and it's great. Every day we see him right there. There he is. All right. That's enough. Thank you. And then there is our Ashley. Ashley can come in from day to day with a different hairstyle, man. It can look different every single day, you know? It can really be all over the place. Today, it is, like, kind of curly in the back. And I don't know how it got that way, you know, because just yesterday it was straight.
And so there she is. And today she's wearing red. And she's 25. Boston Rob, also wearing red. He's got on his UMass hoodie. We planned it. We planned it. You guys called each other? Yeah. We totally did. So let's do it. It was time. Debating. Black. No. Blue. Let's do this. Green, maybe. No. All right. Are we in agreement? One, two, three, break. We're always apparently falling. That's right. He does not come in with a different hairstyle. He does not. Hold on. Also not nominated for a cool hair award. No. He's not. This is like the sculpting, the fine tuning of, you know. Is that what it is? Yeah. That's why I haven't not worn a hat in. three months. We appreciate that. Thank you. I do it for my own safety, too. I wish we had a camera the other day in the office. This guy goes, show Eddie, show Eddie, because Eddie was on his computer. He had his back to everybody, and Rob pulled his hat off, and it was like, it almost looked like he should be on the back of a Roman nickel in a way.
You know, that was like one way it looked. And it was just, it was so funny. And he wouldn't show Eddie. He messed it up. Eddie will judge me. Yeah, I wanted it so bad. I wanted him to. I mean, we were judging you. Yes. Yeah, but it hurts more when everybody does. Come on, Buster Brown. I wanted to see it. All right. And then there is the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Junior Esquire, MD, DDS, President, and CEO. Z. Yeah. Cruzy. Seth? No, Zeth. Huh? It's Z. Wait. Zeth. With a Z? With a Z? With a Z. But nobody has that name. It's the truth. It's actually his name is Z. Okay, definitely who does that. That is not a name, so did they invent the name? They just thought it sounded cool, right, Zeth? Drugs. All right. Makes sense. Puts things in perspective for sure. Hi, Bambi. How's it going, Mike? I'm great. Sorry about your mother. Yes. I'm really sorry. I did not expect you and Bambi to be a boy. No. Thank you. What are you doing?
I'm on my way to work, and I just wanted to call and tell you guys thanks again for the other night, and I hope you guys have a great week. Now, thank you. We went on a date. The show and Bambi. That's right, and we got the date. That's sweet. What was the... P1 Bambi Eater. What's that? P1 Bambi Eater, me and my wife. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. This is the guy. I don't know why you say your name. Yeah, we had dinner with this guy the other night. Oh, this was the guy who was offering deer up. Yes, yes, yes. And I want to try it, man. You're eating your mother. That's right. That's creepy, sir. That's right. That is wrong. I want to try some deer, man. They got all kinds of it, too. They got deer meat in the form of hamburger. They got deer meat in the form of sausage. Oh, I want some of that. Yeah, dude. Would you, Eddie? Yeah, I love venison. Do you? Yeah. My dad used to make venison jerky all the time. Really? Awesome. Well, they got the good stuff. That's awesome. Yeah. And they know all about it, too. You have never even tried it. Stop it.
Hey. Well, it makes me feel sick to think about it. Why? I don't know. It just does. It's a grody. Hey, Ryan. Ryan, what did I say when we were at that dinner and you brought it up? I said Skye would vomit if she was here right now. Why? She's ham. The pig is filthy. Yeah. A pig wallows around in its own poo. Yep. That's the truth. And I'm eating the outside of a pig. I'm eating its skin. It's got to be in there, right? You're not eating the outside of the deer. I never said a deer was filthy. I just said it grosses me out to think about it. Pig is a filthy animal. Yeah, that has nothing to do with being clean or filthy. It doesn't make any sense. Yeah, but pork chops taste good. Bacon taste good. Bacon taste good. Please, everyone. Or you could do that same scene from Pulp Fiction with John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson in Ashley's voice. Oh. The pork chop tastes good. The bacon tastes good. Thank you, P1 Bambi. I appreciate it. Hey, no problem, Mike. All right, dude. 570-1053 is the phone number. Text us at 35253. That's our text number. Or leave us a voicemail. We got P1 answering machine open for you now. 858-715-1923. Man, do we have cool stuff coming to the show. And not only is it cool, it's stuff that is going to cost money.
It's going to cost money, and the end result will be P1s being real stoked about the money spent. Money, money, money. Yeah, they're going to go, oh, yeah, that's good. I like you, Mikey Show. Text messages we're getting. Mikey, I absolutely love the Obama intro. Don't ever call it that again, first of all. It's P1 Papa Georgiou. It honors Obama. Don't ever call it that again. Don't ever call it that. Mikey, the new Good, Bad and the Ugly intro kicks so much butt. That's P1 Greg. Now that I'm okay with because that's what it is. It's from that movie. So thank you. Hey, Mikey, what church did you say you go to? That's P1 Irish Doc. I go to North Coast Church in Vista and they're cool. Hey, Mikey, I caught your segment yesterday about first impressions. The first time I met my in-laws. I backed up their toilet and had to ask for a plunger that's P1 clogged. That'd be rough. No way. That'd be rough. Escape through the window, dude. Just give up. Yes. Can you imagine having to say, hey, can I even get a plunger? Sure, why? What for? Yeah, what do you need it?
Sink's backed up. He's trying to take a bath in it with some hair. Oh, man, this is embarrassing. Yeah, Rob's let everyone know now that he bathes in the sink. Actually, it's appropriate for him. This is a question for Rob. Rob, was gas more expensive by your house? That's P1 and poor. Actually, it dropped two cents. Oh, really? Yes. Wait a minute. She's waving a finger. Wait a minute. Yes. Now is the time. Because yesterday was the president-elect and all that. Right. So today's, you know, officially. Yesterday was the president-elect. Yes. Well said. You know, the official election. YouTube it. You'll see what it is. I'm not really sure. YouTube it. You'll see what it is. Read a book. I've read a few. That's right. He's reading Dr. Seuss. That's part of the problem. 5701053, call. Hey, guys. Been listening to the show since I was 15. I'm now 19. Don't have a good day unless I listen to the show. You guys rock. That's P1 Youngin'. Mikey took your advice this weekend and picked up a few Honeycrisp apples. Delish. That's P1 Instigator. I mean, it's the best apple.
I've ever had in my life. Not as good as the Fuji, but it's better than the Fuji. A close second. Very close. Fuji used to be my favorite until I had Honeycrisp, and then I realized they're better. Too tart. No, they are not too tart. They're not tart. They're sweet. They're very tart. I think it tastes just like Red Delicious. Oh, you wouldn't be more off. Eddie, is that a word that you said to me as Michael Madsen in my ear any time recently or no? Have you not said that? Which what? Too tart? Eddie comes up behind me. Can we talk about this on the air? I don't care. Awesome. This is awesome. It's horrendous. It's the best. Eddie does this thing to me. When? Like in the studio? Yeah. During commercial breaks. Okay. I'm doing stuff over here and I'm not really paying attention and he will get behind me when I don't know it and he'll come right up to my ear and he'll go, wiki wiki. I very calmly say, please don't do this. Not at all. Jump out of your seat and scream like a little girl. Yeah. Oh, it's my favorite. Wakey, wakey. Eggs and bakey. It's the best. It's so bad. I hate it. You're afraid of the dark. That's my favorite one that I always say. Oh, that's great. I hate it. Hey, by the way, today is the...
Shut up. She laughs so hard, man. Dude, I mean, you talk about the funniest thing she's ever seen. Oh, man. How could you be so cruel? I know, Sky. You're so cruel. Whatever. Okay, so today's the last day you can vote on these worst tattoos, and they're hideous. These tattoos are so hideous. We've been doing the worst tattoo in San Diego contest. And the submissions that we've got are so hideous. Go to MikeyShow.com right now and take... Sorry, the TV got paused somehow. Why did you do that? Well, you're the one who pauses it. What did he pause it on? I don't know. It's just some guy standing there. I don't know. If you go to MikeyShow.com and you type in the keyword tattoo, And then you click on click here to view the submissions. You will see some of the ugliest tattoos you've ever seen in your life. They're hideous. And thank you, by the way, to laser away tattoo and hair removal experts because they are going to remove one of these hideous tattoos from somebody. And you go there and you vote and the voting will take place until tonight. And so go on there and vote.
Even if they don't win, they should still go to get their tattoo removed. Yeah, maybe we can get them like a coupon or something. People walking around with those tattoos, it's like bad. I should not. No. Dude, I'm sorry. I was just very distracted looking at some of those right now. They are bad. They are bad. And so, yeah, if you go there, you can vote. And then tomorrow we will announce the winner. of the worst tattoo contest that person will get to have their tattoo removed. So pretty cool. 570-1053 is the number. And you can text us at 35253. A bunch of weird stuff happening in the world that we're going to be talking about. The big one is the Prop 8 deal and how it passed. And in Los Angeles and San Francisco, the city attorneys are going to challenge it. And I know that the lead singer, And the lead singer for the band Bush and mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Rosdale, is one of the people that is starting this process. So who knows why? He's straight. He's married to Gwen Stefani. No, not Gavin Newsom. I thought it was Gavin Rosdale. No, no, no. It's not? I think you're right, Mike. You are right. They're both extremely handsome. They're both handsome. It is Gavin Rosdale. He's the mayor of San Francisco, and he's also the lead singer of Bush. And he's married to Gwen Stefani.
Okay. So anyway, he feels real strongly about, as Eddie puts it, the gaze. And I guess he's going to file this challenge and see what he can do. Just take that ball and run with it. The gaze are real cool. I don't know why everybody's thinking. Eddie, Eddie, Eddie. Knock it off. Well, that's the thing, you know. I don't know that really the community wants to. I know you sound supportive. There's no doubt about it. I love the gays. No, no, no, no, no. The tone that you have is definitely like, hey, you support them. But then when you say the gays, I wonder if maybe the community may be going, ah, is he really supporting us? What are they? I don't get it. Am I saying something wrong? Well, there it is. You know what I'm saying? Let's move on. So the Raiders, who really truly are one of the most magnificent sports franchises in the history of sports. I mean, really from top to bottom, a lot like Microsoft, the company, in terms of getting it and running their organization in a cohesive way. They have cut D'Angelo Hall after eight games. To put it in perspective for you, he's a big name.
Well, they traded for him and gave up a second round and sixth round pick to get him. So it was a big deal. Then they signed him to a new, fresh, real sweet contract. How much? I believe it was for $70 million. Oh, that's a little something. But the NFL is kind of goofy how they work contracts out. They have only a certain amount of guaranteed money. You get a signing bonus and then guaranteed money. But... Don't feel bad for D'Angelo because he got $8 million for eight games. So he got a million dollars a game. I think he's going to be okay. So let me get this straight. Al Davis signs this great player, D'Angelo Hall, and he pays him a million dollars a game, and then he lets him go. Okay. And the rest of the team... is wondering, what's up? That was their official statement. Yeah, you're cutting our good players. Like, why? Yeah. I mean, don't they want to be good? Usually you keep your good players and get rid of your bad players. D'Angelo struggled early in the season, but he was, you know, improving. We ain't no Fitzgerald, that's for sure, though, huh, Eddie? Is that the only player? There's one player in the NFL. There's one player. Can't hold a hand to him. She will.
We're getting a lot of text messages right now. Mikey, just wondering where the next Boo Donkey show is. It's not really a band. That's a weird thing. I knew that was going to start. Boy, I'll tell you what, it'd be a shame people wearing t-shirts with that on it, right? You know, Ghost Rider right now is... Are you kidding me? Of course. Like if they went to cafepress.com, you know, and made one. Nice. Or custominc.com. Either one, you know. Spreadshirt.com. Couldn't use that one. How do they know t-shirt companies? I don't know. That's pretty awesome. I just have my own shirts on the weekends. Okay. Not joking, by the way.
Mikey, great concert tonight at Cricket Amphitheater. It's the Grateful Dead Gophers opening for the Booba Donkeys. What was the first band? Grateful Dead Gophers. It's the Grateful Dead Gophers. I hate to see some of those tie-dye t-shirts. Okay. Ridiculous. Gophers with their eyes X'd out. That would not be cool. That was sad. With little X's for eyes. Or skeleton gophers. No, I'm saying what you shouldn't do. That would be not funny and hysterical. Mikey, go to Louisiana and eat deer, squirrel, and duck. That's the good stuff. That's P1 Cracker Jack. Sky, I'm a Wisconsin transplant. One of the few things I miss from there is the outstanding venison. Try it. It's great. No, thank you. Let's be with Maddie. I'm good. Why no thank you, Eddie? I don't understand that. Why no thank you? Because she might like it. She didn't want to eat fish tacos and Ralph Rubio himself came in here. No, I mean, no clue what it would taste like. Yeah. But, like, refuses. No way. She says no way. I don't get it.
She's got to go into a rum, like smell the aroma. In a where? I need to go into a what? A what? Drink rum? A what? No. Yeah, let's get her looking up. Sky, go have some rum and then try it. Okay. Go into a rum. Yeah, wait a minute. A rum where, a rum where, what is a rum? What kind of rum? Like we're in a rum right now. We are? Dude, I'm a recovering alcoholic. That would be impossible. That's awful to say. Is he talking about a room? Wait a second. That can't even be possible. A room? Yeah, because that has O's. Two of them. Back-to-back O's. No, I'm confused. Let's see. Have you guys ever had grapples? Combo of apples and grapes. They come in a four-pack container. What? No. You've had that? Yeah. What does that taste like? Yeah, they're a real thing. It's like a horse. Yeah, they're not great. They taste like a gritty apple kind of. It smells like a horse. A gritty apple. Would he like mate the grape seeds and the apple seeds? Yes, you do. You got to give him some privacy. Valentine's night. Marvin Gaye on. Yes. Let's go. The seeds are doing it.
I had a half plum, half apricot in its menu fave. Really? Mm-hmm. A plapricot? A plapricot. An apricot plum. Yeah. It was tasty. Well said. Apricot plum was better. Apricot plum. Super good. Rolls off the tongue. I'm weirded out by fruits that have been mated together. It's not necessary. It's not. That's a thing. You don't need to do that. They taste good on their own. Let's see. We got a show for you today, man. Oh, my goodness. Talk about a lot of stuff to do. Well, first of all, first of all, you could text us at 35253. Always want to let you know. Texts are open. P1 Answering Machine, phone number 858-715-1923 and our phone number 570-1053. Today on the show, we have a little something. called Tough Love with Eddie. Hi. Yes. Wow. Hello. What an honor. Eddie will be answering your emails and helping out the community of San Diego. It's really an honor. Right on. Hi. That's right. We also have those James Bond movie premiere passes, so you get to see the premiere. Awesome. You get to see it before it comes out. Quantum of Solace, and you're going to be playing a little tone-deaf karaoke to win those tickets. We're back today, guys. We say that every week.
You say that in a strange way every week. You say that as if your tongue's been paralyzed every week. I also would like to discuss the card that Skye got from her Nana. Oh, Nana. That's a good one. Ashley does another eating competition today that will be videotaped and put at MikeyShow.com. That's right. She's having mini corn dogs. Yummy. We got her plenty of mayonnaise. She wants to dip that in. I want ketchup. I want ketchup. I want ketchup. Not mayonnaise. She said mayo. That's the most disgusting thing ever. You're lying. Oh, that's gross. You better not have brought mayonnaise. I'll throw it in your face. I'm not even playing, brother. YouTube clip of the day today is musical, and it's good. Yeah. Don't go anywhere. We got a killer show for you. When we come back, I'll tell you what Mike Aguirre is blaming his loss on. It's electric. Mike Aguirre did not win the election. He will no longer be our city attorney. And he's going to tell you the reasons why it didn't happen. I'll tell you that after this. Mitch Hedberg in the stand-up spotlight. An oscillating fan at my house. The fan goes back and forth. It looks like the fan is saying no.
So I'd like to ask you questions that a fan would say no to. Say, do you keep my hair in place? Do you keep my documents in order? Do you have three settings? Liar! I sound like you have whining little kids. This is the Mikey Show. Good morning, dude. You called AIS, right? Yeah, about three years ago. And? And they saved me about $2,000 at that time a year. And recently they just got me a new company that saved me an additional $320. $320 off what they had already saved you? Yeah. So what did they save you the first time three years ago? $2,000, switching from my previous insurance company. So they've now saved you $2,320? Yes. Dude, that's fantastic. Okay, let me give people the number. 1-800-777-4AIS. 1-800-777-4247. If you want to save money like Talon did, give him a call. Talon, thank you for calling, man. No problem, Mike. Appreciate it. That's the kind of savings you could have. 1-800-777-4AIS. The police officer outside your car is staring at you like you have two heads. Turns out, you do. You explain to the officer that the lobster costume you're wearing is a tribute to Rubio's for braving the cold blue waters off the coast of Chile to bring back succulent langostino lobster. Unfazed, the officer asks, why were you swerving? Tough to grip the wheel with claws, sir.
He clicks his pen menacingly and starts writing. You continue to plead your case. Honestly, who can resist the bold Beach Mex flavor of a Rubio's burrito filled with decadent langostino lobster, freshly made guacamole, and a creamy chipotle picante sauce? As you take the ticket with your pincher, the officer says, Son, it's a good thing Lobster Beach Mex isn't expensive, because you're going to need a lot of fancy lawyering to get out of this one. Langostino Lobster is back in tacos, burritos, and now a two-street taco plate for just $4.99, only at Rubio's. Do you know if your airbags are working? Hello, San Diego. Peter Griffin here from Family Guy. Ding-bong! And I am in charge here. I command you to watch Family Guy weeknights on Channel 5. Full hour of Family Guy weeknights at 6 on Fox 5 San Diego. Sleep drain mattress centers. Still looking pretty good out here. We've got some brake lights still in the usual places. South 15 starting to jam up out of Escondido. Off the 78's down to around Felicita. And that lets you loose. Coastal rise looking fine. No problems on the south side. That's looking fine all the way down the stretch here. There is a southbound, it looks like southbound set of the 15. As you come in towards Kearney Mesa, though, it looks like there's some kind of slowdown just past that 805 heading down to the 163, rather, right in Kearney Mesa. So watch your brake lights there. And 805 northbound starting to jam up here as you come up out of the South Bay, approaching Plaza Boulevard. That stays low up to the 15 freeway there. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. I want to tell you about Sleep Train. My friends over at Sleep Train who have hooked so many people that I know up. I want them to hook you up. I'm not talking about a date. Because right now they got price wars going on. With the way that the economy is, what they do is they get together, you know, the other mattress companies. They go, oh, we're going to beat Sleep Train.
Because we know they have awesome prices, so we're going to mark our prices down to da, da, da. Cool thing about Sleep Train is they got inventory, so they're like, all right, bring it on. Let's do this. Guys, they say, let's do this. And so what do they do? They go on, and they beat everybody's prices. You can save up to $500 right now on Selected Queen, King, Beautyrest, Select Comfort, Postopedic mattresses, all of those. And I'm talking firm, plush, pillow tops, the whole deal. Go in there. Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep. Now back to the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I really do think of the hurricanes as sort of celebrities. Eddie. I have a very strong sensitivity to smells. Sky. I don't like stinky cheese. Sean. Headshot boys are one of my favorite groups. I was like a shaken puppy. Like I... That's a very common terminology. You guys don't use that? Maybe it's an East Coast thing. And Ashley. I'm all hydrated. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. It is 640. The word on the street is that both Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake will perform with Madonna tonight at her concert in L.A. The Dodgers make a big attempt to keep Manny, reportedly offer him $25 million.
A year. Oh, my gosh. How many years? Well, they have two offers apparently on the table, one for two, one for three. He wants a four. Do you think he does? Did you read that on that rumor website? Yeah. Well, not on that site. I read that a while ago. Not sure he would turn down a three-year $75 million deal. I don't think he would. I'm just saying he wants. He would be the second highest paid player in baseball behind A-Rod. I remember, I think that was the record-setting contract. that A-Rod got when we were in Texas and he came to Texas. Wasn't it for like $25 million a year, which he's probably making more now? I don't remember that specific contract. I know it was worth crazy $300 million over the span of the deal. The Yankees bought him. Wasn't that more? Yeah, he's signed different deals. It's like Jenny Craig money. Thank you, Mike. Let's see.
Mikey, last day in California, moving back to Jersey. Going to miss you guys. Love you. I'm out. That's signed P1 Black Rider. Hey, Black Rider, check it out. We are now podcasting our entire show. Deal with that. Dude, right? I mean, no more of this one bit, two bit, three bits of something. I don't know. This is a nursery rhyme. One bit, two bit, three bits of something. I've never heard that. That's exactly how it goes, right? That's the lyrics, I think. Dr. Seuss' book, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. That's it. That's what he meant. That's what I was thinking. And he's the mic translator. That's right. The Mikey Whisperer. That's right. So now you don't have to just get one or two things here and there. You can get our entire show available for podcasts at MikeyShow.com. How amazing. And I can just pull up any break I want and listen to it. Do you listen to the whole show? It's fantastic. Yesterday I listened to like three random bits. It was great. That's awesome.
Now, you can do it, too. Go to MikeyShow.com. Oh, yeah. I listen to our podcast, like, every day when I get home. Do you really? Yes. Hey, do we have a keyword set up for it? I don't know if we do, but I would think that we would. That is a little bit strange, Nash. Very much so. I'm just a huge fan of our show. I just think that, you know, really got a good thing going on. I like it, too. Oh, why not? So go to MikeyShow.com and check it out. It's pretty awesome, and I think you would like it. So, Mike Aguirre. What a gem. Yes, he did not win re-election. How did that happen? That's too bad. That is shocking. Now, you know Mike Aguirre. Mike Aguirre is the guy that fights the Chargers. He fights everybody. He really tries to mix it up. And apparently the city of San Diego had had enough. He was also a guy that the commercials were saying during the fires was really upset that there wasn't an entire evacuation for the city. which in retrospect, we're kind of glad we didn't do that. Could you imagine like the looting? Where would we go? And what would have happened if the whole city would have evacuated? It would have been, could have been pretty bad. Can you imagine what Rob would have done to this city? I know it. King of San Diego. That's right. Living on a pile of TVs right now. Get an elephant from the zoo. Ride that around. Ride that around. Oh, yeah. That elephant would take me everywhere.
So why does Aguirre say he lost? Well, Mike Aguirre is blaming a couple people for his loss. Of course, none of which are himself. He blames the local Republican Party. He blames the San Diego Union Tribune. And he also blames the San Diego Chargers. He said that those three different groups opposed him, spent hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars to try and get him out of office. He says the UT published about 95% negative columns and editorials based on, quote, misinformation and distortions. And then he also said that Chargers executives have sent a constant drumbeat of negativity towards him. So that is why he lost. It is all their fault. And he says he has no plans to run for office in the future. There's the negative drumbeat about Mike and Gary right there. We don't like you. Negative, negative, negative. He says he's going to go back into law practice as a white-collar fraud litigator. A lot of fun. Day in, day out. That sounds like a good time. A party. 570-1053 is our phone number. And our text number is...
And you can also leave a message on our answering machine. We now have P1 answering machine where you can leave voicemails. And the number on that is 858-715-1923. 858-715-1923. I want to get your guys' opinion on, have you guys ever resented a song? You resent it. And what I mean by that is you don't like it, but it gets stuck in your head. Oh, yeah. I don't like it, Sky. And I don't like him. I don't like him. I don't like him. I don't like him. How dare you? Guy needs to buy a vowel. Thank you, Eddie. Oh, it's so good. Thank you so much. First of all, every time I hear it, every time I hear this song by Jason Murr-Az,
Mr. A to Z. Yes, it's pronounced Jason Meerkat. Every time I hear this song, I think it's a children's song. Oh, look, it's the Jungle Book. I would think you would like this. You are, like, huge into Hawaii. You love, like, your Hawaiian music. It helps calm you down. Ashley, did you hear that? Jack Johnson called. He wants his entire style back. Thank you. Hey, come on. You don't need to shout. What a ripoff. That one song is very similar, but not all of his songs are like that. Sky, don't you see animated elephants walking in a line with their trunks wrapped around the other one's tail? I would love it. You know, they're animated. They're walking through the jungle all cute, you know, to this song. I love it. And the little Tarzan animated guy is swinging from banana branch to banana branch. I also see a, like, Adam Sandler montage moment. Yeah.
here, you know, in a romantic comedy. Thank you. That, too. I can see that. Mostly, I see a guy with a ukulele and a magician's outfit for a bunch of kids at a nursery. It's real, real, real childlike and sounds like a little kid's song, yet during the middle of the day, I'm like... Oh, shut up. Oh, it gets in your head, and I don't like it. Oh, I love it. Ash, is that what it is? It's a I'm on vacation, kick off the sandal song. Is that what it is? Yeah, I would say so. Man, it does not strike me as that. I wish I could get into that frame of mind when I hear it, but...
I see it at, like, the end of a movie, like, when it's just all good, and everything falls into place, and everyone's happy, and that song just kicks on, and you're like... Is the movie animated? Is it from Disney-Pixar? Is it from Pixar? It's not from Pixar. It is not from Pixar. You gotta do it in baby talk. Yeah. Is he kidding with that? It's my favorite part of the song. Oddly me too. That's what I hate about it. That's what I resent. It's my favorite part too, but not on purpose. I don't purposefully like it. Again in your head, Eddie, will you think of this song and be stuck in there later, rattling your cage? I haven't heard it enough.
Like, probably, you know, remember it. But now that we've done this, you know. It's going to be in there for sure. I'll play it in the office after. No, you will not. You will not. This happens with me with those pink songs. Yes, dude. I hate pink, but. You get those melodies in there and you can't get them out. Well, see, my wife at home, she'll listen to, like, the mix stations on the satellite and everything or on the TV. And so I hear this. And there's this other one. Like, I hear it. And I literally want to stick my fingers in my ear. It's that Bare Naked Ladies song. Like, I don't think I dislike, well, Red Hot Chili Peppers. But I don't know. Other than the Red Hot Chili Peppers, I don't know if there's a band that makes my skin crawl more than BNLK. Is that what it is? Did I say it right? BNLK. Bare Naked Ladies. BNL. What's the K for? Bare Naked Ladies Kids. Okay. All right. It's bad. Dude, I hear that, and I want to come out of my skin. They're really good guys, though. I hung out with them. What are you talking about? What are you talking about? Ever hear of Jingle Ball? Excuse us. Hey, you're a man. There was a short time I wasn't. Another place another time.
They were nice guys. Oh, I hate this. Like, as soon as you hear that, doing that all day. Probably play that song 5,000 times. Did you really? Easily. At Star? Yeah, I worked at the station. at Star when that song came out and it was huge. Oh, plus Eddie. We had Jeff and Jer break down the lyrics. What, Ashley? I didn't catch that. You did hear it. I didn't. I didn't know what you said. What are we saying? This is Michael Shannon. Yeah. You're a rock and roll cannon? Michael Shannon, you're a rock and roll cannon? No. I think that Bare Naked Lady song is another kid's song. That sounds like a little kid's song. It's been one week she looked at me Yes, dude. I hear this and I picture kids in a jumpy with a bunch of balls. I heard this song every day about ten times a day. Listen, not to offend you Bare Naked Ladies fans, you B&L fans, but I...
It's almost like it's Greek. I don't understand that. I can't even get in the right frame of mind of like, oh yeah, the new B&L's out today and I can't wait to download it. Our phone number is 5701053. Our text number is 35253. And when we come back, we're going to be playing tone deaf karaoke. Tone deaf karaoke is you listening to Ashley singing and trying to tell us. The Aztecs give Tony Gwynn a three-year extension to continue coaching the baseball team. And nobody beats Al Cajon Ford. Thank you, Tony. We love it. Let's see. So Sky was just saying that...
They had to print a couple of copies of the paper because of the demand and all that stuff. It's been a very popular... We're going to be doing tone-deaf karaoke here in just a second, so call 570-1053. But it's a very popular election season and year. In fact, it was that way in terms of ratings, too. Right, Sky? Yeah, well, first in regards to the papers, yeah, like papers all across the country had to do multiple printings. But in regards to the Union Tribune, they normally sell about 30,000 papers on a Wednesday. But they knew it was going to be a big day yesterday because the election. So they printed 60,000 copies. Well, that still wasn't enough. So around noon, they printed another 20,000. Those sold out. So around 430, they then printed another 20,000. So they printed about 100,000 papers. Eddie, do you save papers? Have you ever saved papers? No, no. The only one I've ever done was 9-11. I saved 9-11 for Jake the day when we were in Dallas the next day. I saved that Dallas Morning News. Is that what the paper was? How could you save it for Jake if he wasn't even around? I know I was going to have a kid. I wanted to save it for my kid. It could have been Emily at that point. Why not save it for yourself, dude?
Well, because I think it'd be cool to show the kid later, like, hey, check it out. Absolutely. You know what I mean? My mom has some papers. We got saved at the house. And there's, like, a bunch of wicked old ones. I think we got one from around the time JFK was shot. I save a ton of newspapers. You know, obviously, when the Red Sox won at all. Do you have all those? Oh, yeah, dude. Are they mostly gloves? Do you have, like, Boston Globes and stuff? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I framed them. Yeah. Put them in a frame and stuff. But, yeah, I saved. And that's so weird you brought this up because I was telling Sarissa last night, you know, I want to have kids. I want to have a bunch of kids. And I think it'd be cool. And I saved the whole paper. Because I think it would be cool for them not only to see, like, the sports article part, but to look at, like, car ads and go, that's how much they paid for cars. Yeah, yeah, for sure. You know, and I kind of trip out on that stuff. I'd like to see that stuff from when I was a kid. So, ratings reports are in from election night. And there were 14 different networks covering the election on Tuesday night.
70 million people tuned in to election coverage. That's all that was on TV. We had no choice. Well, the movie channels were still, you know, okay. I'm Tom Brokaw. I no longer work for MST News. However, I will now go to Jim Miklischewski, who is on Friday, and see what Jim thinks. Hi, Jim. So they say the audience was up 21% from 2004, up 16% from the 2000 election. What network got the most viewers? ABC. Just like Eddie was saying, ABC had the most viewers. CBS had the least viewers of the major networks. It's so weird because, you know, Eddie was saying that yesterday that he watches ABC. And as I was flipping through them, you know, I was just looking for one that. I don't even know. Felt comfortable. I don't even know. I picked ABC. It's the one I stayed with. Really? I don't know why. But that's just the way it was. I like their coverage. It had very comprehensive coverage. Their graphics look great. Easy to follow. Yeah. Yeah, definitely. And yeah, you were saying too, the high definition. Great. CBS has really good HD too. NBC, terrible.
They don't even know what they're doing over there. Katie Couric, hard to watch. She's got that googly eye. She's a woman. She's a chick. Does she have a googly eye? She's got a googly eye. I did notice. You will notice now that I said that. I will definitely notice. In fact, I'm going to make a note to myself to watch tonight. Just for the eyes. For the googly. I just put googly Katie tonight. Make sure I catch that. Oh, no. A tone-deaf karaoke. Sounds like Ashley is choking. Earplugs. Please, can you loan me? She was on. Ten seconds and she was gone. Tone-deaf karaoke is on. They compared me to William Hunt. Ew. Ladies and gentlemen, we do something called tone-deaf karaoke here at the Mikey Show. And the concept is simple. The concept is simple. Concept being that... You listen to a clip of Ashley singing, and then you tell us what it is that she's singing. Where it can get a little bit sideways is when you're trying to understand exactly what it is. Well, she speaks like a foreign language or something when she sings. That is kind of true. It's just when it's not my tone, it can be a little bit more complicated. It's not a big deal. What is that? This is not your tone, right, Ash? This is not my tone. Not her tone.
This is Cantonese, I believe. Yes. This is Cantonese. That was Hard to Glass. No, it was not. Eddie, I'm telling you, it was Blondie. No, no. Now you call, and if you win today, you get Bond tickets. You get to go see the premiere of Quantum of Solace, the new James Bond movie. Awesome. So call us right now, 570-1053. This is P1 Syab. How are you? How are you doing? Good, man. Are you ready to play ton-deaf karaoke? Yes, I am. All right, you know how it works. Just listen to the whole clip when it's done. You tell us title or artist, and you win. Here we go. What's your place for fright? And find him as fright. You'll be all right tonight. Wow. What is your place for fright? That was good. That was good.
I was way off. Sayab, can you tell us what that was she was singing? Oh, man. I honestly have no idea, but I'm going to guess, what's that, Maroon 5? Wow. That's a decent guess. I mean, it's as good as any other guess. I mean, it's a band. Yeah, it's a band. Definitely a band. So you're, you know, in the neighborhood in that arena. It's actually Slister, Klistin, and... Sorry. P1R6 is on the line. Hi, R6. R6, are you there? R6, you disappoint me. P1NerdLover. Hey. How you doing? I'm lovely. How are you? I'm good. I'm good. NerdLover, we've talked to you before, right? Yes. Have you ever played tone-deaf karaoke?
No. All right. I'm a little nervous. All right. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. I would be, too. What you're going to do is you're going to listen to this clip, let the whole thing play, and then just tell us, hey, what band was that? What song was that? You ready? All right. Here we go. Oh. Wow. That was not. Genuinely confused. I was genuinely confused. Genuinely confused. Like, what am I? You were confused why that lady was yelling at you? Yes. At the top of her lungs. That was a lady? That was a lady, yeah. Sean's mouth is wide open. Sean looks like he's in shock. P1 Nerd Lover, do you have any idea what you just heard? No idea what that was. Yeah. That was a tough one. Oh, yeah.
That was Warrant. What? Cherry Pie. Wait. What? No. I'm not. I've heard that song before. Yeah, Mike. You want to hear it again? Swing it in the leather. Most folks don't wish it. Swing it because she wanted a bit of food. So I mixed up the better and she looked all better. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Swing it. Sorry, nerd lover. Sorry about that. That's okay. That's all right. You try again next time. All righty. If you want Freemason, you ready to do this? Yeah. All right. I'm going to play you the clip. When it's done, you just tell me. What is it that you just heard? Are you ready? Absolutely. Here we go. She's out of breath, genuinely. You're telling me that's English. Let me tell you something.
Yeah. At the end of that, she gave us a... Yeah! Take that. That is how you do that. That is how you do that. P1 Freemason, do you know what band or song that was? Bare Naked Ladies, who knows? Was it? No, it was Nirvana. That's what she was singing. Kurt Cobain just blew his brains out again. P1 Freemason, sorry about that. Wow. Going to have to try again next time. That is shocking. P1 Leonidas? Good morning. Good morning. You are the last contestant today, and hopefully we give away one pass to see the new James Bond movie. This is terrible. Hey, smack it up, flip it, rub it down. Oh, no. All right. There it is. Yeah. Let's do this. I'm going to give you a hint because I do want...
there to be a winner today. It's pop music. I'll just tell you that. Okay. And so try to tell us what this is. Mm-hmm. I... What? Leonidas. Wow. Let me see. Is it one of her idols, Gwen Stefani? Decent guess. Wrong answer. Justin Timberlake, my love. What is wrong with everyone today? I don't know. What's everyone else? What's their deal? Why can't everyone figure it out? Give me a break already. That one gave me the Kirk eye. Wow. Wow. Not a winner. We'll try to give away stuff later then. Hey, man, that's on you. That's right. That's right. Hey, if they don't know what it is, that's their problem, man. I did my part. Text us. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number, 570-1053.

Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. It is 7-16. Author Michael Crichton has died at the age of 66 after a private battle with cancer. Bears quarterback Kyle Orton has a sprained ankle. He hopes to play this Sunday. Says he's not rolling it out this week. I don't know exactly what the timetable is going to be, but I just feel like if I keep on making improvement, you know, I certainly can't rule out this week. Did you see it, Eddie? His injury? When he hurt it? Yeah. It was gross. Yeah. His cleat stuck. Well, they thought it was broke or he was going to have torn ligaments or something, but just a sprain. Wow. So, yeah. It looked gross because, you know, they were wearing the super long cleats. Mm-hmm. And he's going down and his cleat sticks. Oops. And his body keeps going. My foot's over there. Oh. Now we have. Hair foot. Hair foot. Hair foot. Hair foot. Hair foot. Hair foot.
Couple of text messages at 35253. Mikey Show. Oh my gosh, you guys. Some old guy just farted in my gym. He couldn't hear it because he had his headphones on. He must have thought he had it on silencer, but he didn't. P1 grossed out. Sometimes. Mikey Show, let's say good job to San Diego for evacuating Aguirre. It's P1. I did not change my name. What about this? I'm such a high since the Obama win. For some change. That's right. You to bring us down. Whoa. Hang on a second. Hang on a second. Hey, Debbie Downer. Yellow flag on that one, Debbie Downer. Thank you. You just hang on a second. What this is about is Eddie healing a community, all right? That's right.
Here's how this works. You go to MikeyShow.com, you find the link for Tough Love with Eddie, and you just write his questions, you know? What Eddie does is he takes those questions, reads them back on the air, and then he tells you what he thinks. To the best of my ability. That's right. Now, he gives you tough love. I just want to remind you of that. For those of you that are new listening to the show, Eddie is about tough love. Yeah, so he's going to be very mean to this girl. No, Scott, I hear the, you know, questions. I smack it up, I flip it, and I rub it down. That's right. Oh, no! Eddie just threw his hands up in the air. You can't figure that one out. It says, Dear Eddie, I'm writing you because you tell it like it is. I was shopping the other day, and I couldn't believe how many stores had their Christmas stuff up. I was so angry. Christmas is still two months away. It's so ridiculous. Are they going to start putting Christmas stuff up in July soon? I'm not trying to be a Grinch here, but if I see one more reindeer,
Before I eat turkey, I will explode. What do you think, Oracle? That's P1MoniqueNRB. Eddie? Dear, the Santa Blas are coming to town. You are not trying to be the Grinch, correct? Just want to clear that up, make sure that I got this right. Confused as why the sight of a snowman would elicit this kind of a reaction. I mean, did an elf touch you inappropriately? Did you eat bad Thai food and then watch a Charlie Brown Christmas? That would make you not like Christmas. It's going to be okay, sweetie. They're just decorations. They're not actually forcing you to have the Christmas spirit or buy a bunch of stuff. You are still in control. Rudolph isn't going to jump out of the aisle and stampede you to death if you don't buy wrapping paper tomorrow. Good point. Now, sure, it seems a little early for Christmas stuff, but take a breath. Put down that candy cane you fashioned into a shank. Christmas will be over soon, and then they can start putting up Easter decorations in January. It's all good. Thank you very much.
That was beautiful advice, and I think Monique has been helped. Our next letter reads, Hey, Eddie, you're my favorite person on the show. Dude, you are so funny. I laugh all the way to school every day. Bro, I know you are the one to help me. In my first period class, there's a super hot chick. She's like a Greek statue. A statue, bro. Okay. She's so perfect, but I don't have the guts to holla at her. I've never had a girlfriend or anything like that, so I'm big time nervous. Big time, big time. I just want to chop it up with her and not look like a clown. Yeah, dude. What can I do to get over my nerves? That's P1 Buck at Mission Bay High. Eddie? Dear the statue of puberty. Hold up, wait a minute. Now, look.
Don't be in such a rush to chop it up with any females. I mean, they are sometimes bad news, kid. There you go. There's your answer right there. Nothing but a walking, squawking headache. If you insist on making an impression, there are a couple things you can do to get her interested. Number one, when you see her coming into class, Whip off your shirt, start doing curls with a barbell, and count out loud in a voice, and it's almost a shout, 1,001! 1,002! 1,003! Oh, it's a deep burn! It burns so deep! I don't know if you were listening, but I just did over 1,000 curls. Pretty impressive. Number two. Yeah. If that doesn't work, write a note that says, buy 3,000 shares of Starbucks and sell all my holdings in Apple. They bore me. Okay. Then pass it to her. Then after she reads it, rush over to her and go, oh, gosh, I'm sorry. That note was supposed to go to my guy at Schwab. I must have left your note in my Escalade. Okay. Yeah. Let me buy that.
Number three. More gems for us? If that doesn't work, which it should, then walk right up to her. Wave your hand once through the air and say in a very calm voice, you will hang with me at lunch. Yeah. My gosh. She responds, no, I won't. Wave your hand again through the air and say in the same calm voice, these aren't the droids you're looking for. Yeah. High school tics love Star Wars nerds. When she turns her head to look at her friends in confusion, run out of there because she's out of your league anyway, bro. Hit the books, kiddo, because that's always your best bet. That's right. Books, kiddo. You're going out. Our final letter reads. It was actually really good. I think that was good advice. I think that was good advice. total dork. Our final letter reads, Eddie, you messed up, dude. Ted Cattrall was awesome, homie. Okay. Here we go. Can I pass on this already? Indy was for real with him, dog, and the Chargers messed it up again, just like they did with Marty.
I don't understand that sentence. You said Indy might get better. Very grammatically. And you said Indy might get better this season the rest of the way. What's up with that oracle? Did you forget two words, Peyton Manning? Sorry, dude, Chargers are out and Indies are in, bro. See you December 23rd, P1 Loco Vato. Hi, I'm going to try and put this in just the right words for your sensitive little ears. Finally, thank you. Dear, como se dice, dumb sports fan, Sky. Como se dice, como se dice. Stop it. That's not very nice. Call him dumb. Did you hear me say como se dice? Yes, Eddie. I know. I know. It means how do you say this? Yeah, great. Exactly. I was trying to remember how to say in Spanish to say stupid dumb guy who doesn't know anything. Remember? Remember. You weren't going to be sensitive. But fine, if you prefer the more direct approach, dear stupid dumb guy who doesn't know anything. Yeah. You're being rude.
I'm not. Did you hear the letter? Yeah, you are not smart. First of all, I didn't mess up because I didn't fire Ted Cattrall. AJ Smith did. That's right. Funny thing is, though, he didn't mess up either because the defense sucked and Ted Cattrall did it. Yes. Now listen. I get all of your fire and passion for the little Colts. Yes, yes, the same Colts we've owned in Indy in the playoffs and last year on Sunday Night Football. That's true. That is true. Antonio Camardi, three picks, November 11th. But who's counting? And by the way, bro, if I see you December 23rd, it'll be a Tuesday. The Chargers and Indy play November 23rd. A Sunday. Calendar face. That was good advice. There was not a single drop of advice in there. You must be exhausted. Yes. That was fantastic. Sky, can you hear it coming up Mission Boulevard? It's the sound of healing. You're welcome, Obama. You don't even know what stupid it is. The Mikey Show is on. Knock-a-doodle-doo.

Hey, I just want to tell you, Amco is the place to go if you have any kind of transmission problems. If you got weird noises that you're hearing in your car or you don't really know what's going on, you got the check engine light on. If any of that stuff happens, and maybe right now as I'm saying this, there's a bunch of you going, yeah, dude, I actually have my engine light on right now. Or, yeah, dude, my truck or my car or whatever is actually making a weird noise as you speak. Take it to Amco.
Now, if the check engine light's on, what they're going to do is they're going to tell you why it's on for free. And if any additional diagnosis is required, just mention that you're a P1 and you'll get 10% off on all the repairs. It's pretty awesome. Now, they do transmissions, oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, cooling systems. It's pretty awesome. So go down there and check them out. They don't want to fix what isn't broken. Amco, good people. I tell my friends about them, tell my neighbors about them, tell my family. Send my family to Amco. Amco is double A. Beep, beep. MCO. Why would you take it anywhere else? Oprah reportedly used a porta potty for the first time ever when she attended Obama's acceptance speech at Grant Park Tuesday night. I mean... I know. Okay, okay. I'm having a hard time processing that. That's so offensive. Tony Romo practiced yesterday. He's optimistic about his return. He gives a little update on his injured pinky. I'm feeling better. It's still... Not all the way heel, but it's getting there. I'll put a splint down and see where we go. It's Jessica Simpson's boyfriend, ladies and gentlemen. That's how he should be referred to, no matter what. Did you guys hear about the Al Franken thing up in Minnesota? He's running for Senate. It's crazy. It's real close, so he's making them recount everything. No. Yeah, and it could take up until December to get them all recounted again. It's like 100 votes. Is it really? Yeah. That's crazy. And so, yeah, I guess they're going to have to count them all over again. Could take a while. Guy's a comedian. Let's see. He's a satirist, Mike. Mikey, I have come to resent the Michael Phelps song. It is always stuck in my head. That's P1 Aloha. I don't know why she would even say that. Oh, Michael Phelps. You swim away with my heart. Oh, yeah. Michael Phelps. You swim pandemonium.
Where you stand on the podium. Just give me your hand to hold. Whether you win bronze, silver, or gold. Oh, Michael Fett. You swim. You swim. Really gorgeous. Enjoy that. Really gorgeous. Yes. All day. All week. Enjoy that next Tuesday. Absolutely. That sucker gets in the old head and don't get out. Oh, Michael Fett. Stop it. Let's see. Mikey, how many people do you think went home yesterday and put Vizine on their blemishes? That's P1 Zippo. This chick called in. She said if you have a big, awful, ugly, red zit, put Vizine on it, and it takes the red out of it. I don't know if it works. That's what P1 Zippo said that they're wondering about. Mikey, my wife works with a girl that has a paper from the day the Titanic sank. It's P1 Nate. Wow.
Wow. She must be old. That's right. This next text message is for Skye. It says, Skye, I did what you said. I voted for B.O. It's been two days and still no free ham. What gives? You promise that, Skye? False promise. No one ever promised that. I heard B.O. was promising free ham to everybody. A ham in every pot. That's right. That's a ham adventure. Yeah, ham adventure. I did hear that he said that. I just want to see the outtake reel so badly. That's the one that made it to YouTube. You know, which were the ones that they were like, no, let's scrub that one. Let's delete it. I don't like it. Redo. Redo. Your bums are off. Yeah. You girls have to bump up quicker. Sally, you're really bringing us down. Sally, hurry. I said. Tempo. Sally, by the way.
Obviously. Every time I have to correct you, it puts me in a bad mood. And I want the whole vibe to be like, it's about Michael. He's a champion. He's a champion. Get that in your heads in a one and a two. Oh, here we go. Sally, too early. I'll point at you. This is stupid. Sally, wait a minute. Let's see. Eddie, I can't even believe it. Eddie is a landlord. Crazy. How's that working out? Okay, well, I got the condo rented. Yeah. Which is good news. Really good. Yeah. And he is going to be moving in on Sunday. Yeah. And so there's just some little maintenance things that I need to take care of. But I am maybe the world's worst handyman ever.
Are you? I am, dude. I can't. I'm just terrible at fixing the smallest thing. It took me an hour the other day to hang up a towel rack. An hour. Whoa. That's a lot. An hour. I've hung towel racks before, okay? It's not that hard. Okay. It just wasn't working. Dude, I wouldn't even have a drill hole, put a dowel thing? Is that how? I don't even know. I don't even know. I wouldn't know. You put a dowel? Yeah, lots of dowels. A screw? I don't know. It's brutal. How was it when it was done? Nice? That looks good now. I mean, but an hour. It should have taken me about 10 minutes. Yeah. I heard it was gorgeous. Yeah. It looks terrific. Yeah. There is one big issue I have left, and it is I have a kitchen light, and it's one of those kitchen lights where it has those tubes. Fluorescent. Fluorescent lights. Yeah. And there's a piece of plastic that goes over it. Yeah. Diffuser. Oh, look at Home Depot girl over here. That's called a diffuser? I thought so. I don't think so. Hey, Lowe's head, you're good. It's just a piece of plastic. Yeah, they give stupid things fancy names. Okay. See, they're an R8 or an R9. I can't remember. Please. Well, one of the lights had gone out, and when I tried to switch it, the piece of plastic was obviously really old, and when it came out, it just snapped in half. Yeah. And so I go to Home Depot.
And just buy, you know, they have a bunch of different ones. Yeah. Buy one and doesn't fit. And so I go, oh, man, that sucks. And so I go back to Home Depot and all of them are very standard size. They're all the same size. Yeah. And my stupid light is not standard. And so it is too short lengthwise and too wide. You know, it's too wide. Yeah. And so there's nothing I can do about it. And so I need to find a piece of plastic. I can cut to fit it. And nobody sells plastic like that. That you cut? That I can cut to fit it. Or a cav cut. Like Home Depot doesn't do it. Lowe's doesn't do it. They just sell the standard size piece of plastic. It's 2008. Right? Dude, we have a air filter in our bedroom that's 13 by 13. There is no 13 by 13. What? Well, how do they make that? It doesn't exist.
And I asked the guy and he goes, oh yeah, he goes, we get people in here every single day. That's the deal. And I go, what do they do? He goes, we sell them a bigger one. You cut it. I go, cut it with what? He goes, scissors. He goes, they're paper. You cut it with scissors. So now I got one in there, but one side's a little bit short on one side. So every time the air conditioner turns on, you hear. It's so stupid why they don't do that. Good times. It's irritating. Speaking of products, Skye bought her ShamWow yesterday. Did you? I bought me a ShamWow. For real? I sure did. Cool. Yeah, like, it was weird. I went to CVS, and they had a section there of, like, the stuff that you can buy on TV. The infomercial stuff, yeah. And I, everyone talked me into the ShamWow when we talked about infomercial stuff the other day here on the show. So I bought me a box of ShamWow. There you go. Did they have that little rocket thing, too? Or just the ShamWow? Oh, no, they didn't have the magic bullet. The magic bullet. ShamWow. Yeah. He's saying, wow, every time you use this towel. Thank you. It's like a shammy. You're good. It's like a towel. It's like a sponge. Right, we got it. A regular towel doesn't work well. You know what I'd like is 40 more minutes of you telling me about it. For 40 more minutes. ShamWow holds 20 times a 20. It's a mop towel. We get it. Thank you. Holds a lot. 40 minutes of this, I mean? Doesn't make a mess. You wring it out. You wash it in the washing machine. Right, right. You can cut it in.
Absorbent towel, bro. I get it. Olympic divers, they use it as a towel. Put a wet sweater, roll it up, it dries your sweaters. Thank you, sir. We get it. Yeah, as soon as I got home, I got some Tupperware and I filled it with water and I started soaking the ShamWow in there to see how much it would absorb. And I just would soak it and wring it out. Soak it up and wring it. Cool. It was smart. You may consider a part-time job. I think that she may be getting bored. I think she might be getting bored. You know what I mean? You know what I'm saying? I want to make sure it worked. Did you go, wow? Yeah, I'm going to try soda today. Okay. My gosh, I don't even buy paper towels anymore. That was actually Scott. All I can say is, Sam, wow. Oh, boy. So awesome. All I can say is, shh. We get it. Oh, they're the best. There it is. Let's see. What do you think about this? Apparently, the Border Patrol found a bunch of pot stuffed in a surfboard.
Yeah, this is weird. So the border patrol comes across a surfboard that was kind of found. It was found just left on the beach near the border fence on Tuesday. Yeah, near the beach. And they thought that the surfboard looked kind of weird. Well said. Well, they took it apart and there was 37 pounds of weed stuffed in the surfboard. Somebody has hollowed it out, put 37 pounds of weed in there, and then glued it back together. Sounds like a horse. Who knows why it was just sitting there on the beach unattended, but that was about 30 grand worth of weed. You know? Oh, well. Sorry, sir. Sorry. Money, money, money. You guys see on election night that weird thing that CNN uses where they have the screen and the dude touches it and like flicks his hand and like stuff flies out of the screen. Do you see that? Yeah. It's so, it's uncomfortable to watch for me. It's like that Tom Cruise movie. Yeah. It's like, what was that? Minority Report. Yeah. It's like Minority Report. Only it's not.
To me, it doesn't seem very smooth. It looks like he's really having to exert energy to flick it off the screen. If it was a little bit more smooth. Yeah. It's like the state of California really weighed like the state of California is flicking it off the screen. And did you see that new thing they did on election night with the hologram? What is that? Dude, they took like one of their correspondents. They set up a booth. I guess she was reporting from Grant Park in Chicago, you know, where Obama gave his speech. And they have this. tent set up that had 25 high-def cameras in it and basically caught her from every angle. So when she was talking to Wolf Blitzen, there was Blitzer. You know what I meant? What about Donder? Donder? What about Donder? Oh, you really made me look dumb. Dander. Donder. Ever. Wow. Okay, we're both dumb. It's not very effective. To make a joke when somebody can't get a reindeer's name right? When you say Donder. You were right there, though. Oh, man, that was like a double whammy. It was. Wolf Blitzen. Wolf Blitzen. So they made it look like it was a hologram of her. It was the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Yeah, and there was a little kind of like white light around her.
It looked like, you know, when R2-D2 was showing Princess Leia to Luke Skywalker? Oh, yeah, for sure. It was like that. It was like weird and bluish. Speaking of R2-D2. No, wait, we don't need to. We're really not. We were not. I have another question. I have another Star Wars question for you guys. I want to hear it. I want to hear it. You know, on Star Wars, when R2 disappeared and he was going to look for Obi-Wan, you're telling me that... Droids don't have a GPS? I mean, dude. Hello? You can't locate R2? There's no GPS for those droids? Hello? It's the stupidest thing in the world. It's the stupidest thing in the world. You don't have a device? You can't find your droid? I mean, all those components he has in it? The thing can fly. It doesn't have a GPS? Calm down. I don't understand that. It's like a giant Swiss Army knife and he doesn't have a GPS in it. I don't understand that. You think it came in the later model? Yeah, please, Ash. Don't let that upset you. I'm not even paying attention. Thank you. It would really upset you if you did. Yes, the R4 unit came with the GPS.
So that you could actually find your way from one system to the next. What did you want him to have invented before he was invented? Why not? The analogy looks weird. 5701053 is our number. Our text number is 35253. And our P1 answering machine, 858-715-1923. If you want to leave a message for us, but you can call us if you want to. United Airlines crew subdued a passenger. They had to subdue them. And apparently they got a little creative. Oh, yeah. This chick sounded like a peach.
So, yeah, it was a flight going from Puerto Rico to Chicago on Saturday. And I guess this woman who was witnessed having some adult beverages prior to the flight. Right. And also some adult beverages on the flight decided to smack one of the flight attendants on the butt. Oh, my gosh. On the butt. And then stood up. Maybe she was just saying good game. How do we know that flight attendant hadn't just sacked somebody? And then this woman stood up and ended up falling on top of another passenger who happened to be blind. And for some reason, she started pulling the blind person's hair. Oh, wow. Yeah, and so I guess they have some cuffs on board, and they tried to detain her with the cuffs, but she kept slipping out of them. So finally, the flight crew and... What kind of cuffs were they? Like Chinese finger cuffs?
I have no idea. So finally the flight crew and a couple passengers got together and duct taped this chick to her seat. Because that's all they could do. Why not cover her in peanut wrappers? I don't think that got anybody's attention on board. I bet everybody slept right through it. They're too busy watching Everybody Loves Raymond. That's so true. So she will be in court today and is charged with resisting arrest and interfering with the operations of a flight crew. Eddie? Yes. There is somebody on the line that would like to dispute your thoughts on your Star Wars theory. Please do. Oh, no. P1 Ben. Hey, Eddie. See, now I'm thinking that maybe because it was a while back, they didn't have the technology yet. I mean, they can detect like ships coming out of hyperspace, but they can't find a little droid. Thank you. Thank you. They have priorities, man. That's right. You can't do everything. You can pay top dollar for those droids. Yeah, but you got to pay the union. That's the problem. BMW Encinitas is the premier BMW dealership in San Diego County. They're about 25 minutes from anywhere here in the county. And I actually get a magazine about these cars called Beamer Magazine because I am an enthusiast about these cars. They're cool. And dudes really get into kind of chopping them up and doing cool stuff with them. And I like that stuff. And, you know, the cool thing is they got a great parts department down there at BMW Encinitas with some cool dudes that know a lot about Beamers.
So if you want to do something to your car, take it down to BMW Encinitas. Again, 25 minutes from anywhere in San Diego County. And just incredible, incredible prices. That is our text number. Mikey, tell Eddie Dixieline Lumber for his light issue. Also. You've got to cut the plastic with a scoring knife. All the diffusers are too big. That's P1. Try that. Yeah, I did that. Did you use the scoring knife? Yeah, it didn't work because it's not long enough. Aye, aye, aye. So what are you going to do? Well, we got a couple of calls that said there's a plastic place right around the corner here from the station that may do it. I'll look at Dixieline. I didn't take a Dixieline, but we'll see. That's a good one. Aye, aye, aye, aye, aye.
Mikey, can you ask Guy, just out of curiosity, how much gopher blood can a ShamWow soak up? That's P1. I love him. Wow. I don't know. You're a horrendous person. I don't know. What about honey glaze? I don't know. That's a good question. I don't know. That's rude. Hurtful. Mikey, tell Eddie he should get the iPhone. They got a lightsaber application that will entertain him for hours. That's P1. I love Star Wars. I play with Mike's. Eddie's been there, done that. I play with Mike's all the time. He's been there, done that. Let's see. Before we went to break, I said that a couple of Patriots cheerleaders were fired. Was it a couple, Skye? No, it was just one. Patriots cheerleader was fired. And that the reason may surprise and shock you. Rob, you ready to hear this? Go ahead, Skye. Well, she was kicked off the squad after pictures of her surfaced on the Internet of her crouched over an unconscious man. Who was written all over. Presumably drunk. Is that the deal? Drunk, passed out, had stuff written all over him. Rob's in on it already. In one of the pictures, she's holding a Sharpie. She's not writing on him. You know, there's no evidence that she actually wrote any of this stuff. Right. But in the pictures, you can visibly see on the dude swastikas and penises. Right.
So I guess these pictures ended up on somebody's Facebook page and then kind of spread around the Internet, ending back with the Patriots organization, and they kicked this girl off the squad for us. You saw the picture? Yeah. In the picture, are the guy's shoes off? I don't know. The picture I see, I only see him from, like, the waist up. If his shoes are off. Fair game, dude. Oh, I didn't know that. What does that mean? If you pass out and your shoes are on. Can't do it. No, no, no. If you pass out and your shoes are on, you can do it. If your shoes are off. Can't do it. Yeah. Can't do it. That means, yeah, you were sleeping. That's the rules. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I never heard that before. I've actually never heard that. I've never applied that. It must mean that you're sleeping. Shoes are off. You went to sleep. You took your shoes off. You meant to go to bed. I have an idea. You keep your shoes on. You passed out. I have an idea. Okay. I have an idea. What we're talking about here has to do with the New England Patriots. And so I have a suggestion. I don't know if the rule is right or if the rule is wrong. Let's ask Mr. Mike Singletary. He's here. We can ask him. Mr. Singletary, if the shoes are on, are you allowed to draw stuff on them? Can't do it. No, no, no. He's wrong. He says that if the shoes are on, you can't do it. Can't do it.
No, wait. Rob said if the shoes were on, you can't do it. If the shoes are off, you can. Is that right? Is that right, Rob? No, no, no. I would ask Mike if the shoes are off. Mr. Singletary. I call him Mike. That's why he can't play with you. I call him Big M. Cannot play with him. Cannot win with him. Cannot coach with him. So the way the story goes is Patriots charity. Can't do it. Thank you. Look at those little tiny eyes behind those glasses. That's amazing. Yeah, so this Patriots cheerleader, it was Halloween time. Everybody was partying. And she said that this dude was passed out. They weren't even partying with him. Can't do it. She didn't write on him. She's defending it. That's my favorite part of it. We weren't even partying with him, man. She's like, we weren't even drinking malt liquor. No, the way that I read it, it was like, you know. I had one Washington apple. Yeah. Why is that? Come on. Yeah, you know, they rolled in. This dude was already passed out. He was already written all over. And they thought it would be funny to get like a.
It is. Yeah, it is. And she now has been fired. Hey, listen. We got some irony up in here. If that is wrong, then Eddie needs to make a phone call to his brother-in-law, Tim, because if it is wrong to do that, I mean, that guy can make a book out of the pictures that he has taken in his lifetime. So many good ones. Yes. So many good ones. They used to have my brother-in-law. We used to have a roommate named Adam that would pass out every single party we would have. And we would take post-it notes and do little drawings and put them all over his body and his face. So we would be covered with post-it notes. We did aluminum foil all over him once. We took all of our dirty socks and underwear and put them on. Every single time. Wow. Figure it out. That upsets the germaphobe on the show. You can tell Sean doesn't really dig that. Figure it out. It's all good. Seriously. Yeah, dude, figure it out. Skye, tell everybody about the birthday card you got from Nana. Now, Nana is not Skye's actual Nana. She's more like a Nana-in-law. Yeah, she's Nana-in-law. Yeah, she's my husband's grandmother, Nana. Love her.
And this is starting to make sense why my husband loves me. This all goes back to your theory about how, you know, the... motherly influences in your life affect who you pick as a wife. So this shed a little bit of light on what's going on there. Right. What do we got? Okay. So, you know, my birthday was a couple of weeks ago. It was? Yeah. No. Yeah. We didn't even know. You guys didn't know? That's crazy. You had no idea. Well, we'll celebrate again then. You'll have to let us know six months before. Don't worry. I will. So, yeah. So I wasn't expecting anything and I get this package from her and I was so excited. And I open the card, and it's a handwritten card. And on the front, she wrote happy birthday. And then inside, it says, I hope you have a wonderful birthday. And then it just starts going off about Sarah Palin. Like, so there's the one sentence, I hope you have a happy birthday. And then it goes, aren't you just disgusted by Sarah Palin? She is the worst. She's setting the woman's movement back and blah, blah, blah, blah. And I'm just like.
Wow. I wasn't expecting that. Well, it's a birthday card. Isn't that where you put your political views? Hey, listen, you guys, Nana doesn't know that there's blogs. She doesn't know that. So she's blogging. Oh, if Nana had her own blog, wow. It'd be good. She does. It's called Sky's Birthday. Yeah, your birthday card. And then I go to open my gift. And it's a book of short stories about growing up Latina. You should re-gift it to her. She's Latina. Yeah, she's Latina. And you can say when you re-gift it, you can say, I think that this may mean more to you than me. You may enjoy this a little more. You can relate. I have a feeling she's already read it. Yes. So did you relate? Well, no. Oh, but it's classic. I said to my husband, oh my gosh, she must have been really upset you married a white girl and you started laughing. Seriously. She's like trying to change you into a Latina. Now, I wonder. Oh, it was so funny. I wonder what that, like what was the thought there? Like that you would have an appreciation for growing up Latina if you read it. Yeah, well, she.
Before, when me and the hubby first got married, we all took a family vacation to Hawaii once, and we all rented a house and stayed together. His parents and Nana and everything. Side of poi, please. Shut up. And at the time, I was reading that book, The Lovely Bones, which is... Oh, hey. It's a family show. Easy with your porno. What, do I got to hit the button on you? Hey. It's an awesome book. It's one of the favorite books I've ever read. Better than The Ugly Bones, guys. The Ugly Bones? I was reading that same book at Harris. Yes! It is. Yes! Yes! Line of the year! There it is. And so... Explains a lot. So I was talking about what a great book it was. If only I got it. I mean, that's the... Did we just tell a story the other day? Long story. Stop. This guy was arrested for prostitution. I was never arrested for prostitution. I was just, I was asked to leave a casino. Guys, it was a sting operation. Shut up. So I told her how great it was and she asked to borrow it. And so I lent it to her and she's like, oh, I have a great book for you. And it was another book on being a Latina. Are you serious? Take the hint already. Become Mexican. Figure it out.
Stop eating the sides of rices. Nana is the best. Love her. Okay, wait a minute. I had something I wanted to tell you guys about. I had something, something. What was it? It wasn't what I IM'd you about, was it? I don't know. Did you IM me? Never mind. Never mind. I IM'd you. Terry's. Yeah, it's pretty good. Should I go there? It's pretty good. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We just have to take a break, and then we'll do whatever it is that you don't know about right now. Okay. Whatever you IM'd me. You were the best. What? I have a feeling my alarm clock's going to go off any minute. Join the P1 Text Army. Text Mikey to 35253. Standard rates apply. It's the P1 Text Army. I think they get grandfathered in, so I guess she's sad that her buddies don't get to get married. Is that the deal? Please, come on. She reaped the rewards, but she's upset that her other gay friends don't get to get married.
Because, you know, it's one of her causes that she's passionate about. Of course. She said, this was her quote, she talked to the AP and said, like millions of Americans, she felt like they had taken a giant step towards equality by electing Barack Obama as president. But with the passage of California's Prop 8, she says we took a giant step back. My wife loves Ellen. Oh, I love Ellen. Loves Ellen. Hey, this is Jennifer. I was leaving a comment on Prop 8. Prop 8 is unfair to those of us who are good people and we just want to live our lives, you know, happily. You know, it's unfair that we get discriminated against. And, you know, people, I guess, argument is that, you know, in the Constitution it says between a man and a woman, you know, there was a point in time where, you know, Latinos and blacks were told who they cannot cannot marry because it's... Can and cannot marry because of that and that's very unfair, you know, it was very unfair back then It's unfair now and just because it's written there doesn't mean it's right People want to say that God, God, this and that and blah blah blah, you know We have different religions People have the right to think differently, it's a free country, but when it comes to this, why is it so different, you know? People see this as, I don't know Every time I argue with somebody about it or debate or whatever, it always comes out being a hateful speech towards them at the end because they have nothing to say to defend their belief on yes, and they end up giving a hate speech. You know, that's unfair, and it's wrong, and it just goes to prove that all it is about is just hate. Hey, listen, there's some things in there that this lady said that...
maybe I can agree with and some things I don't agree with. I think it's a bummer that she's talking to people that end their argument for yes on eight with hate. Because any conversation that I have with anybody about it has nothing to do with hate. I do not have hate in my heart for homosexuals. And I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, but I don't have any hate for anybody. And so I think it's a bummer that they feel that it's about hate. I love the gays. Eddie says he loves the gays. I do. They're great. Now, maybe there's something to the spirit of what Eddie's saying. I mean, he obviously is saying something in support, even though the reference there is to... Why does he call him the gays? Quote, unquote, the gays. I've never heard that. I wouldn't say anything derogatory. Voice call received 6.30 a.m.
Tuesday, November 4th. Hi, this is P1 Christine. First of all, I'd like to say I love your show. I listen every morning. But I do have comments from Mikey. You say that you want people to call in. You'd love to hear from us. But every time I text message or somebody calls in with an opinion that's different from yours, you talk over them. You don't want to hear what they have to say. And I think that that's wrong. Do I talk over people? No. I don't want to. I don't think so. Honestly, if the lady that left the message is listening right now, I am so sorry if I've ever talked over anybody because that is not my MO. I want to let people say what they're going to say and then go after words. I don't mean to talk over people. And I don't think it's necessary, honestly. I don't think it's necessary to do it if you're having a conversation. You of all people who used to be an alcoholic, I mean, you should humble yourself just a little bit. I still am an alcoholic, by the way. I just don't drink. But I'll always be an alcoholic. I'll be 95 and not drinking and still be an alcoholic. Eliza, you're not right about everything. You haven't read Barack Obama's book. You have no right to tell me who I can love and who I can't. And so maybe you ought to just take a deep breath for a second. I'll be able to listen to you, but, you know, other people have opinions that are equally as valuable as yours.
I agree, honestly. So you can give, you can't give your opinion is what she's saying? No. Well, he's giving his opinion. How come that's wrong? Well, she's under the impression that he doesn't let other people give their opinions and speak, which I don't think is true. That's clearly not true. You're on the show. Yeah, I know. I work here. I show up Monday through Friday. Yeah, I mean, that doesn't make any sense. No, I think, you know, maybe, yeah. And if you're listening, Honestly, I would love for you to have the opportunity to speak, and I promise you I won't interrupt you. I don't want to interrupt people. I don't think you do do that. You're entitled to your opinion, just as she is. She's just hurt by it. I think so. Yeah, and I understand that. It's a very emotional issue. And the other thing that she said in there that I think that I...
really took note of is the deal where she says, how dare you tell me who I can love and who I can't. I am not telling you who you can love and who you can't. You are free to love whoever you'd like and you are free to do whatever you'd like. In that same vein, I am free to vote however I'd like. And I would like to keep marriage between a man and a woman. And that's my right. And that's the same thing to the first gal that called in. You know, she said she was saying something about, you know, why don't we have the right to this and why don't we have the right to that? You you have the right to vote just like I have the right to vote. We all have a right. I have an opinion. You have an opinion. And we take it to the polls. I wanted John McCain to be the president. But overwhelmingly, people disagreed with me. I mean, overwhelmingly, they want B.O. to be our president. And he is our president. Well, you just have to understand that it's very, and I'm sure you do understand this, but that is very tough for people in regards to Prop 8 because you're talking about taking people's rights away. The Constitution that protects our rights. You're talking about amending it.
To take people's rights away. And that to them, I'm sure, and even to me, is hurtful on such a different level from a president or funding a train or anything like that. Because you're talking about taking away somebody's rights. I don't believe it's a right. To be married? I don't believe it's a right to be gay and want to be married. We're talking about the right to be married. Yeah, I don't think that's a right. Any more than I think that it's a right. To let me think of an example. See, that's where see, that's where we disagree, because like in my mind, it is a right. And in my mind, Prop 8 is discrimination. So obviously I have feelings coming from one place. And in your mind, it's not a right. And Prop 8 isn't discrimination. So it's like, you know, we're never going to find that common ground on that issue. And, you know, I just want to throw this out there because someone I was talking to when I was out at the polls was telling me something along the lines of like, it's not even a right.
It's more of like a privilege, kind of like driving isn't your, it's not your right to drive a vehicle. It's a privilege. That's what some, I'm trying to think whose take it was, but they were telling it like I was leaving. I think that that's my, I said to my wife the other night at dinner, I said, you know, I'm having a real hard time articulating what I'm feeling in my guts. And I said, I don't know why. And I think that that helped. That helps. I don't think it's about a right. I don't think it's about a right. I think it's about the sanctity of that word. And to me, there is some sanctity to that word, marriage. And a lot of times, it's kind of like when you get into those real heavy debates. You're talking about real heavy issues. Sometimes when you paint with very clinical words what something is,
It's like shining a great big spotlight on it, and people kind of don't want you to say that. They don't like the way it sounds. They don't like the way that it is. Because there was, you know, and from my beliefs, you know, it is biblical. It is a biblical belief for me, which I totally understand if somebody isn't biblical and they go, hey, don't put your biblical stuff on me because I don't feel that way, Mike, and I have a right to not feel that way. Totally. We both have a right to go to the polls with whatever we feel. And, you know, one thing drives me and one thing drives you. And we're driven by different things. You know, when God says in the Bible that he doesn't like it and that he uses very strong language about it. And then I take that information and I go, well, what, you know, what is it really? I wonder why, you know, and this is just in my own analysis. I wonder why he wouldn't like that. I'm going to tell people that are listening right now that if you have kids in your car right now, change the station. If you have kids in your car, change the station because what I'm about to talk about is heavy. May not be the most appropriate thing for kids, but will fall within guidelines of the FCC. I wonder sometimes, why is it so strongly worded? Why does he seem to have such a thing with it?
It's because when you think about, at least from the male perspective, what homosexuality is about and where the intercourse is taking place, that's a part of our body where waste comes out. It's a part of our body where feces comes out. And in the homosexual community, they are having intercourse there. When you think about it in those terms, sometimes you say to yourself, yeah, that doesn't seem... to be natural however on a female that part of your body is made for that well not that part of your body no no no no yeah not that part of your body i mean not that part of your body looks like we're doing it right rob that is not made for that so on females you have a part of your body where it is made for that and so i think that that's why the wording in the bible is so strong The reason that it's so strong is because it isn't natural. When females are making love to females, it isn't a natural form of intercourse. But we don't usually talk about that. We don't talk about the fact that that's where feces is supposed to come out and does and that men are having intercourse with that. What we do do, this is what we do. We go.
love, and this is the way I feel. And there was something that happened in our culture. It happened around the 60s and 70s. Just like there is way more violence on television right now, there are behaviors that we see on television that are very far and above what we were used to at one time. And the reason for it is because we become desensitized to it. And somewhere in the 60s and 70s, the culture started to change. from a behavior which the dictionary, not me, describes as deviant. The dictionary, these are, guys, please do not draw a, oh man, Mikey's making a judgment. Mikey's just telling you where my thoughts are. You can think wherever you want to think, and honestly, I am open to hear anybody's feelings on it. However, the dictionary, and when I say the dictionary, I'm talking about the Oxford New English Dictionary. They describe the word deviant as departing from usual or accepted standards, especially in social or sexual behavior, chiefly offensive, homosexual, because a lot of people freak out when they hear the word deviant. And so now I'm going to distinguish this. I, me, Mike, am guilty of sin, sin, sin, sin. I'm guilty of it. I do it.
And I got to ask for forgiveness for it. Our culture became okay with a certain behavior that our culture had thought was not okay. And that thought was a deviant and wrong behavior. And through culture, it became hip. It became cool. And it became accepted. And the reason that it became accepted is because the folks that were doing it were saying, but this is who I am. This is the way that I was born. which I understand. In fact, my heart and mind has changed in that regard. I used to think that people were not really born that way. It couldn't be that. And I don't think that. I think that maybe people can be, and they are. And the reason that I say that is because I was born a certain way. And it was not very, I was born in a way where I used to be very, and still am, very sinful in a particular way. And then God changed it for me. And so that's where I think is the crux of the people that are yes on eight. That is the crux of the yes on eight people. I can feel, as I said it, how weird it sounds to hear that on the radio. I know that that's got to sound strange and weird and heavy and deep and whoa, I can't believe that's being said on the radio. And even as I'm saying it,
I'm thinking to myself, I can't believe I'm saying this on the radio. But it's what's in my heart. It's what I feel. Do I hate homosexuals? Absolutely not. Absolutely not. I'm a sinner too. I'm a sinner. I'm a sinner. But I am a sinner too. Sky. So in a country that, you know, prides itself separation of church and state. we should not grant people certain rights that other people get because the Bible considers it a sin? If you can look in the wording of this bill and show me where it says anything about the Bible, all I'm telling you is my motivations. In the wording of it right now, the way that it used to be, there was no talk of love and their reasoning. So I'm just giving you my reasoning. I'm not saying that it needs to be applied as text to the law. I'm just telling you what my reasoning is. They'll tell you what their reasoning is. Homosexuals will say, well, the reason that I want to get married is because I'm in love, which I believe. I do believe that. Do I believe that that's right? Nope. And then in regards to, you know, when you were talking about intercourse and different kinds of varieties and the kind of homosexual intercourse that, you know, homosexual men have.
And lots and lots of heterosexual couples have that same sort of intercourse. Can I talk to you about that? I don't think rights should be taken away from them just because they have that kind of intercourse. Can I talk to you about that? Please. The Bible is real clear about sex. And what it says is, if you're married to your wife, have at. Now, does it say, go for this part of the body and this part of the body? No. But what it does say is give yourself wholly and completely. Not wholly, H-O-L-Y. It means like completely. Have at it. Have a great time. Knock your socks off. I'm paraphrasing. It doesn't actually say knock your socks off. Paraphrasing a bit here. But it does say have at it. And the reason that it does is because that's the way he intended it.
Okay, what about unmarried couples who have that kind of intercourse? They shouldn't be allowed to get married? You're not, well, hang on a minute. Hang on, hang on. Unmarried couples, now you're talking about sin that you could categorize as anything else. That would be like saying, so Mike, should a couple that lies be able to get married? No, I mean not, because we're talking about the words marriage. So now to say that about the unmarried couples. Now we're adding a law that doesn't exist. We're talking about this particular thing and it's marriage. And in terms of marriage, some people feel the way you feel, which is I understand. And I'm not hating. I'm just telling you where I'm coming from on it. Yeah, but you can understand how people can view that as hate and discrimination when you're denying rights to a certain group of people. I could understand that if I felt. that it was a right, I would be so hurt by it and I'd be so angry by it if I felt that that was something that was a right. So you don't think it's a right? I do not. You think it's a privilege? I think it is. I don't know. I don't know that I think it's a privilege. I thought that that was pretty thought-provoking. I know that it sort of felt a little bit more in line with where I'm at with it than anything else. I can't articulate it very well. Rob?
In terms of marriage, you know, you're saying, well, it's a right. Is it a privilege? I thought originally, weren't you telling me that? No, that wouldn't even go there. Wouldn't even go there. Wouldn't even go there. But listen, talk about a hot button issue. And I know, man, I disagree. We agree to disagree. But I got to tell you, man, I really do appreciate the conversation. I really enjoy having the conversation and at least talking about it. You know what I mean? Because I think it's good stuff to talk about and I think that they're good, healthy conversations. The deal is that I know that my opinion is going to make people angry because it's going to elicit a hurt or a sadness or a fear. But it's something that is going on in our culture right now in terms of voting. And so I'm just telling you where I'm coming from. And let me tell you, I respect Sky. I really do. I respect Sky. And I respect anybody that feels differently than I do. And that's why when we have the conversation, I just want to have the conversation in a normal, cool, adult way. You know what I mean? So I enjoyed it.

I thought it was kind of fitting. Welcome back. You guys ready to do this? Yeah. You guys ready to have a little eating competition? It's going to be scary. This is weird. Let's do it. That's so gross. Here's the way it works. What we're going to do is we're going to have an eating competition between Ashley and a listener. And the listener's name is Melissa. Now, Melissa, have you ever been involved in a competitive eating contest before? You haven't.
Okay, we just got to make sure because that would be like cheating. You know what I mean? Why? Ashley's been in competitive eating competitions. Well, only here. Exactly. You know what I'm saying? And so I just want to make sure she wasn't a professional. A ringer? Yeah, because the bottom line is that even though Ashley competes, she's still at a, what would you call it? Amateur. Amateur. She's an amateur competitive eater. Yeah, I'm a professional at an amateur level. A professional at an amateur level. That doesn't make sense. We have a little bit of an issue. What's going on? There's a small problem. What's the deal? I didn't hear. I didn't know that Ashley wanted ketchup with her. I didn't know this. That's a crock of crap right there. That's not good. Hold on. What's going on? Hold on. Wow. Terrible. When this was originally set up, it was last week. I was out sick. I didn't know you wanted ketchup with your corn dog. That's a crock of crap. I don't know. How am I supposed to do this without the ketchup? So we don't have ketchup. Well, I guess she's going to have to wing it. I know it. I don't know why you need ketchup. I mean, it's a speed thing. The texture of the ketchup just says with the ranch with the chicken nuggets. It helps to almost moisten the food item. Lubricate?
lubricate it, which makes it go down easier. What are you talking about? She's having a hard time. She's having a hard time. Makes it easier for me to eat. Let's do this. Melissa, are you ready to do this? Okay, do you like corn dogs? Yeah, get in there to connect to the mic. Okay, Ashley. You cannot assault her. Yeah, you don't need to molest our guests. Ashley always really manhandles our guests. Okay. She manhandles our guests. Maybe she likes her personal space, Ashley. Yeah, she could like her personal space. I mean, you are sweaty. You don't need to be putting your arms around her. Sorry about that. Sorry about that. All right, you ready to do this? You ready to do this? They have paper plates with how many, Eddie? There are 21. Mini corn dogs on each plate. Oh, my. 21 mini corn dogs on each plate, and they have one minute. Ashley's freaking out, as usual. Oh, you guys are going to do great. All right, you ready? If you don't win this one, I have to win. I will be really upset with you.
She got so upset one time. Ashley did. When she lost, she started crying. She cried. Yeah, she did. She did. She really takes it serious. This is straight Kobayashi right here. This is really important. This is a big one. This is a must win. You love mini cornrows. I love them. But I like them with ketchup. So that might throw me off. All right. But whatever. You ready to give it a shot? I'm going to sack it up. Ready to do your best? Oh, I'm going to sack it up. That's how I roll. I just sack it up. Please don't spit them. All over the place. I know. Do you see Rob put napkins covering his laptop just in case there's any splatter? That's so gross. Yuck. That's so gross. Well, she's filthy when she eats. It's like a pig feeding at a trough. Yeah, it is. With all due respect. Nothing personal. Yeah. Don't read into it, Ash. Don't read into it. Don't analyze that. Yeah, he said with all due respect. Are you ready? All right. All right. I'm nervous about this. On your mark. Get set. Go.
Ashley's got one in her mouth. Competitor has one in her mouth. Ashley's got a second one in her mouth. Competitor does not have a second yet. Ashley's working on it. Our competitor has barely got one down. Ashley's about to reach for her third. Now our competitor is putting another one in her mouth. What is Ashley doing? Is Ashley taking a break? No, she just took a drink of water. I think it was vodka. I don't know that she should do that. It's her favorite drunk food. Is that her third? fifth? Yeah. Is she on her fifth? Yeah. Ashley's powering him down, biting him in half. This is easy for her. What is going on here? I don't know. She's like shaking her tail, Ashley is. That's weird. Ashley's wagging her tail. The competitor, not very good. Come on, Melissa. She's not very good. Melissa does not. Does she know it's time? Yeah, does she know that the object is that you gotta eat a lot? She's really kind of savoring that. It's a race. Oh, Ashley's killing it.
Ashley's coaching Melissa. Okay, no more. Down, down, down. Wow! Ashley killed it. How was that? Eddie's counting. Eddie's counting. Wow. Eddie? What is going on here? I don't know, but Eddie just got to look. It's hard to impress him. He looked impressed. He seems to be impressed. Hi, backseat. Impressed by both. Really? I'm surprised. I didn't realize that the competitor, Melissa, was doing as well as she did. She actually did better than I thought. Really? Yes. What do we got? Melissa ate seven mini corndogs in a minute. That's awesome. That's really good. Very impressive. Seven in a minute? Yeah, that's really good. That's a lot. That's a ton. I mean, imagine if we gave them like 10 minutes, how many they could eat? Oh, gosh. Ashley, on the other hand,
Eight. Can you calm down? You're a little sweaty. Her hands are practically shaking. She's so happy right now. Greasy and sweaty. Well, it's closer than I thought. A word from our champ. A word from our champ. Please talk to us about that. We have Ashley here. We have Ashley. Ashley, talk to me about your victory here today. Something just happened, Mike, from the not having the ketchup. To having me thinking I was totally winning. To having Eddie look like I did win. And then maybe, oh, maybe I didn't win. And the suspense and the craziness that was taking place through all of it. Oh, yeah. She's out of breath. As usual. As usual. She's out of breath. And your competitor. Melissa, what happened? Melissa. Melissa, talk to me. First of all. She's had water. She had water. She had water. Well, first of all, Melissa, talk to me about how deceiving you were because I didn't think you were eating as many as you were, yet you were still able to power seven of them down. It was hard to swallow. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Was she a really big and big-time challenger for you?
I think nerves got the best of it. Yeah, yeah. She started laughing at one point. Well, Ashley's like coaching her in the middle of it. Yeah, that was weird. It was ridiculous. I'll be honest. I thought Melissa was a bit as the crow flies. You know what I mean? Good work ethic. No doubt about it. Good work ethic. But basic. You know, just kind of basic. And Ashley, she had her stuff together. And I was very like cut off my nose to spite my face. So way to go. Good job, Ashley. All right. And back after this. Hello? Who's the man? Uh, Mikey? Hello? The host of the show is a freak show. Eddie. Sean. Hang on. Let's just get this. Let's stop this. Let's stop this. Let's stop this. Ash, Ash, Ash. Bring you and the contestant back. You and Melissa, come back in here. What is going on? There is something crazy going on right now. This is so 2000. It is a Florida recount. No, I disagree. Eddie does not buy this. I disagree. But there has been... Get in here. Get in here. Turn the lights on. Turn the lights on. They're trying to take your title. What? Ash.
I'm not kidding. Like this was, and this is no joke. We're not joking around, blah, blah, blah. When we were gone. There's something going on. They were like, what's going on here? This doesn't seem right. I'm not joking. On Ashley's plate, there apparently is only 15 left, which means you only ate six, which means Melissa, there's 14 on her plate, which means she ate seven. But there's no possible way that you ate less than her. I saw you. Look at Ashley's face right now. We're going to go to the tape on this one. and count how many you ate. Well, what do you think? They were multiplying? I think there was a problem with the initial count on the many points. Oh, so you're blaming Jay. You're saying Jay is the worst. I'm blaming Jay. There's no way Ashley lost that. Just because you can't count. I don't think you can count.
You guys, hang on a second. Wait a second. Now, Ashley, do you know how this could have happened? She's crying. She is crying. Ashley, they're not going to take this away from you. Ashley, they're not going to take it away from you. I will not let them take it away from you. She's crying. Why is she crying? Ashley is crying. Why is she crying? She is like bawling. She is bawling. Hang on. Cry mom. She's crying. Somebody take her out of the room. She's crying. Eddie's hugging her. Eddie's hugging her. Actually, it was really Eddie's fault. It was Eddie's fault. She takes it so seriously. Get out of here. Eddie. Eddie. Eddie, you got it. Why'd she throw a...
She just threw a corn dog at Melissa. She just threw a corn dog at Melissa and ran out of the studio. I'm sorry, Melissa. I apologize for her. This is crazy, Melissa. I apologize. You've won. No. Melissa has won. She's the winner. Hold that door. You keep Ashley out of the studio. Absolutely not. She's running back in here. Absolutely not. She's squeezing her way into the studio. Oh, my gosh. I want a rematch. Somebody hold her. She's out of her mind. Everybody. A rematch. I think that's fair. I think that's fair, and I think that's right. Did Gore and Bush get a rematch? Thank you, Mike. I think that that is fair and correct. That's not my son! That doesn't even make sense. Can you please? Now hold on a second. This is a cold down. Hold on. Ever. It's the best eating challenge ever. You did not lose. There's no possible way you lost. But the numbers, I mean, you can't. Let's go to the tape. The numbers don't lie. Let's go to the tape. The numbers don't lie. We don't need to go to the tape. We have it on video. Why do we have to go to the tape? We counted. Because Jay got it wrong. I'm telling you. There is no way. How did Jay get it wrong? Do you have eyes? You guys saw me. I thought you counted.
Ashley ate way more than she did. Well, Ashley was being a lot more animated about eating than Melissa. I was watching her. She was shoving them down. I think that what we're all trying to say is, you know, Ashley eats like a pig, so it kind of looks like she's working hard, you know? Rematch. She literally has tears in her eyes. I'm not getting my title taken away from you. Hang on a second. Hang on a second. This is garbage. This is chaos. We've already awarded Melissa the prize, and Ashley just wants to prove that she can eat more. She did it. She won. She's the champ. You guys. This is not right. Thank you, Eddie. 570-1053. So what are we going to do? What are we going to do about this? We either need to check that tape and count.
How many each person ate or we rematch right now? Mike, how do you feel about this? I feel like this is the weirdest thing I've ever experienced. And again, I feel like my alarm is going to go up any second. It's a corn dog controversy. No joke. This is straight garbage. Let's talk to Melissa. Let's talk to Melissa. Melissa, how do you feel about all this? It's funny. It's funny. Melissa, you've won. Melissa has won. She has taken the prize here. And there was a recount. There has not been a recount. That is not accurate. The initial count was off. How is it not accurate? The initial count was off. You counted wrong? Jay counted wrong. I'm telling you. There was a double count.
Check the taste. We checked the photos. We already checked the photos. But we both counted together. We both individually counted. I wasn't going to bring this up. Oh, here we go. Let's call the USHDEA, the United States Hot Dog Eating Association. Hold on a second. There were shenanigans before the contest. Jay knocked over. No, no, that's not true either. You knocked over. You knocked over. Be Rob. Be Rob when he got up. Son of a... B-Rob when he got up. He knocked one off of the sleeve under the floor. Way to go, Rob. So I took one off the other plate and I evened it out. Evened it out. Evened. And that's when we both decided. I believe you took two off the same plate. How great would this be if this was on television? If you could see what's happening, because Ashley's in the corner right now, fuming. This is all on video right now. We're getting it all on video, and we are going to play this back on MikeyShow.com. Look at her. She's throwing gang signs. She's throwing gang signs. Whoa, what's with the gang signs? I don't care, but this is going to happen, is that I'm going to get my W taken away from me, because some brother doesn't know how to count. This is a white guy.
She just turned black. He's not a brother. He's not a brother. He's a white guy from Texas. He's from Houston, okay? This guy's white. His name's Jason. Speaks with a half-cocked southern accent, all right? What do you want from this guy over there? Please. This is unbelievable. This is unbelievable. I do not accept this. It's the most dramatic hot dog eating ceremony of all time. I would say you're right. Ever. I'm sorry, Ashley. No, you don't have nothing to be sorry for. I still am the winner. I still won. The Mikey Show continues featuring Mikey. The host of the show is a freak show. Eddie. I'm a married guy. I shower at night and I... Gross. Thanks. Sean. What's a P1? All right. But what happened? I won't. I promise. I will not. Seriously, I want to hear what she has to say. Eddie has his hands up like what I do. I don't do nothing. Eddie always has his hands up like what I do. He does. He does. Back to the Mikey Show on The Rock. Rock 105.3. That was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. First of all, The Mikey Show may be the only show in radio history that's ever done a very serious and in-depth conversation about Prop 8 and homosexuality into a corn dog eating contest. Those were two separate breaks back to back. We've done our priorities in order. That's right. Yeah, we went from serious Prop 8 debate to Ashley eating mini corndogs. To an even more serious issue. Not only eating mini corndogs, not only eating mini corndogs, but it turned into off the air. Oh, man. Let me tell you what happened. We go into the last commercial break, and I'm over here, and I'm doing emails, and I'm doing my thing, and everybody's like, okay, hey, thanks for coming, and blah, blah. And all of a sudden, I'm hearing small.
Talking, escalating, escalating, escalating. And finally, I hear Eddie go, you count them. Now, Jay is full of it. That guy is so full of it. Hey, the tape don't lie, bro. We'll check that tape. We're going to check it. And we're going to count how many they eat. And he's going to put it up on the website. Absolutely. So P1s can check it too. They can see for themselves. So there's no sheenams. Because there was controversy with that initial count. I don't care what he says. I don't know if it was Rob that knocked it. corn dogs off, but there was problems with that corn dog. Our shenanigans went down. Yeah, don't bring me in. I have been told that they are going to try to get this video posted at MikeyShow.com. Send out a blast. Somebody send out a blast letting our listeners know on text. Corn dog controversy. Corn dog controversy. Is that what you wanted to say? Call it corn dog controversy. Video at MikeyShow.com. It's going to be up there soon. And I don't, here's the deal. I don't know what the answer is. All I know is that right now, for their jobs, what they get paid for, how they actually collect a check, they're upstairs counting corn dogs on a videotape. Yeah. That, Ashley, Smashley from Promotions, and Jay, their job. He's shady.
He's not shady. He's a stand-up guy. He's a shady brother. Okay, he's not a brother. He's a white guy. He's a stand-up gentleman. Wow. Their job description includes counting corndogs. On videotape. Mm-hmm. P1 Hall of Famer Quimby just instant messaged and said, J equals Florida. Oh, wow. Why are we playing J? Eddie is the one who did the faulty initial count. Hold on a second. I don't know what the problem is. That is incorrect. And how dare you for saying that? There was an initial problem with the initial count of corn dogs that brought in here. After they ate, you're the one who did the count saying that Ashley won. Something happened with those corn dogs. They started multiplying on the plate. Somebody put another corn dog on that plate because I counted accurately. Right. Eddie wouldn't mess that up. I'm not messing around, man. This is a very serious issue and Eddie would not take it away. Hey, can I say something? Can I say something? Mess up. For those of you that ever wonder, like, you know, stuff that happens on the show, you know, is that you guys playing it up? You can watch Ashley start crying. Watch it unfold. I don't understand that. I didn't understand that reaction. It's one of the most phenomenal things I've ever seen. It's one of the most phenomenal things I've ever seen. Look how upset she still looks. Oh, I know it. I know it. If we were a television show, this would be the most highly rated TV show.
In the history of mankind. I can't. I can't lose that W. I needed that. It was a must win. Well, you earned it. I can't. She already did, Eddie. You counted them, and she didn't need as many. I'm not sure why it was a must win, but. I can't. I can't take the risk. To get into the playoffs, obviously. To get into the playoffs? Yeah, yeah. I can't take the risk. This is very vital that I have the W on my board. How are you not up in arms about this? You saw her. I watched my best friend. My best friend of 20 years counted. I trust his counting abilities. But he didn't count them right. Wait a second. Stop it. Wow. I'm done with this. I'm done with this garbage. I'm sorry. I'm sorry you miscounted. Don't be mad at me. Eddie's getting up. Do not throw those corn dogs. Do not. Do not throw those corn dogs. Eddie just picked up a play. Okay, Sky is running from Eddie. Eddie is chasing Sky. She's over on my side. What do you want me to do? What am I going to do? Oh, my goodness. Eddie has picked Sky up on his shoulder. He's picked Sky up on his shoulder. Why do we not have a camera? Oh, my gosh. He's putting her in the chair. He's putting her into my chair.
Meanwhile, Rob's not taking his eyes off his computer screen. I gotta get this push-out. I gotta get this push-out. Get it out. How is he missing all of this? I don't know. What are you doing, Rob? Are you alive? I'm texting everyone. You mean blast? Yeah, blast. Are you alive? It's a push-out. Sky just picked up Sky and it didn't even phase you. Sky just picked up Sky? You're levitating? Wow. I am sick and tired of this garbage. I wish we had a camera. I wish people could have seen what's happened in the studio over the last 15 minutes. Done with it. It's the greatest thing ever. You guys witnessed Ashley demolish that girl. Ashley was very animated when she ate her corn jaw. What do you mean animated? She was. She was very hyper when she was eating that. No, you guys said during the competition, Skye, you were even saying that she was eating it slower than me. Yeah, she looked like she was going slow. Excuse me. In Eddie's own words, Eddie said, wow.
I'm very surprised at how many she actually ate. Because there weren't 21 on her plate. That's why. You're so... Get it? Thank you. No, no. They're upstairs reviewing tape right now. We will know the answer to this. We will know the answer to this. I want a decision. Well, you apologize to Ashley if it turns out you miscounted? I didn't miscount. If it turns out. Wait a minute. Apologize to Ashley. Apologize to Melissa, right? Because Melissa was declared the loser. Well, both of them. I apologize to Ashley. Well, because you got her hopes up and then tore her down and made her cry. Oh, yeah, that's true. You did do that. I do recall that. Wait a second. Look at Ashley right now has a look of just stunned. She's stunned. She's stunned. I'm sorry Eddie did that to you. Hey man, Eddie's the only person that's got my back right now in this whole world. That's right. That's my boy right there. I'm all you got. Everyone else has abandoned me. I don't see the phone lines ringing in support of people backing me on my W. I'm all you got. On my W. How are you guys? Good. Good. Well, Mikey, along with what all the other techs were saying, that was just absolutely genius. My coworkers think I'm crazy because I was laughing... So hard at my desk at the whole garden whistle thing. Awesome. I love screwing with people on the phone. And so if Zeph gets any more of those, I told him, send them through. Let's have a little fun, can't we? Dude, those people are annoying. You deserve it. For sure. Thank you for the call, Peaches. Thanks. Have a good day. Very much. All right. Guess who's on the line? Who? Jay is on the line. Oh, really? Stand up guy. Let's find out what's up. Jay has reviewed the tape, and he has an answer for us. If you're just tuning in, Ashley did an eating competition with a P1 listener named Melissa. When the competition was over, Ashley was declared the winner. During the commercial break, there was some controversy as to whether or not she had actually eaten more than P1 Melissa, and so...
Luckily, we had videotaped the whole thing. We've gone to the tape. We have an answer. Jay, who won? Well, after reviewing the tape and counting the actual corndogs on each plate, Ashley is our winner. She was jumping up and down. She was jumping up and down. What happened, Jay? How did this happen? All I can figure out is that with some sleight of hand from B-Rob... I was trying to, I don't know. One of the tater tots fell on the floor right as B-Rob got up. Well, it wasn't tater tots, but mini corn dogs. And when I jumped over, we were just about to start, and I grabbed another one.
See, you're right, Eddie. Melissa only had 20 corn dogs. Hey, don't blame this on me, Jay. I was sticking up for you, pal. I know. I'm not blaming. I'll take full responsibility. Genius, Eddie. Eddie, I don't understand. What happened? What happened? What happened? Before the contest started, somehow, I'm not naming names. Rob. Eddie just pointed to Rob. What did I do? You guys are jerks. What happened? Somebody knocked off a corn dog off of one of the plates. Yeah. and Jay thought it was knocked off a certain plate. It wasn't, and so he tried to even it out, and it didn't get evened out, and there was an incorrect amount of corndogs on each plate. So when he reviewed the tape, he saw actually how many were ingested, and Ashley clearly won. Wow. Which is exactly what I said. I'm exonerated. I want an apology. I want an apology. I didn't say anything wrong. You said everything. You still miscounted. You still miscounted. How are they attacking you? You still miscounted. How are they attacking you right now? You should be president. You're so amazing. You are the best man on this planet. You should be our president right now. If you were on the ballot, I'd be voting for you. Absolutely. This is unbelievable. Well, this has been quite a morning. We're getting text messages. You're still miscounted.
No, I didn't. Eddie, there were extra corndogs on the plate, so you miscounted. No, I didn't. Yes. We have text messages about it. We have text about it. This text says, Ashley, cry, cry, cry, cry. I don't need to. Thank you. P1 Janelle. Hey, Jay. Yes. When? Will the video be on MikeyShow.com? Ashley O'Neal is getting it done right now. Pictures and everything will go up in just a little bit. What are we thinking? ETA. Give me an ETA. I would say within the hour easily. Love it. Thank you. See for yourselves. Absolutely. See it and then see it again and see it again. Let's see. Let's see. Mikey, you guys rock. The only way I can get through the morning is to listen to the Mikey show's shenanigans. That's P1. Barbara broke. Awesome! Mikey, the telemarketer bit was the bomb. Cubby, Cubby, you've got to have Barb call back and ask for the supervisor because the guy hung up on her. Boom goes the dynamite. That's P1. What's hampooning? 570-1053. P1 Melissa calling in support of Ashley.
Melissa, are you there? Yes, I am. You are the person that actually participated in the competition. Yes. I just wanted to tell Ashley she deserved it. Wow, look at that. Thank you. Very good sport. I'm not a loser, so I'm okay with losing. I went in thinking that I might because I heard something about her being able to eat like 100 and some odd one of those. You heard right. That's true. Yeah, she had eight. I want winners. She had eight. Listen. She won. It was good enough to win. I actually know that she deserves it. I really appreciate you. Listen, you put up a really great fight, and I'm sorry that I beat you so bad. So, you know, thanks for playing. And it was really good to meet you. There it is. It's good sportsmanship. It is more about them than it is about the team. Thank you. Thank you, Melissa. I still win. That was nice. I still win. Winners win. Melissa, thank you for coming in. What? Thank you for coming in. Listen, I win. Oh, you know what? I just wanted to meet everybody, so I was happy to do it. That's awesome. Well, thank you, Melissa. It was fun to have you in. All right. All right, we'll see you. Voting is over today with the bad tattoo contest. The worst tattoo contest. Go to MikeyShow.com. Click on the little keyword box and type in the word tattoo.
It'll take you to the worst tattoo page. And thank you so much to Laser Away Tattoo and Hair Removal. When you go there, you can check out all the different people that have entered. It's pretty cool. So please, check it out. Let's see. Prop 8 protesters hit the streets of L.A. yesterday. What happened? There are about a thousand of them out there protesting. It's actual audio. Yeah, obviously upset that Prop 8 passed here in California. So they said it was pretty peaceful. About four people ended up being detained. But if you see TV footage of it, there was an incident where one Yahoo jumped up on top of a police car and started chanting. And so, of course, you know, he was just showing that. But mainly a peaceful protest. Let's see. This text message says, Mikey, God also doesn't approve of divorce, but our laws allow that. That is true. God does not approve of divorce and makes concession for divorce in the Bible. Does not make concession about homosexual behavior. He says that if you are to divorce, he gives the only reason that you're ever able to divorce, which is the second part of this person's text message.
If marriage was so sanctified and needing protection, why is it not illegal to cheat? That's the concession he gives. If your partner is unfaithful, he says, so long. You can say so long. It's the only time that he ever says it's okay to do it. That's P1 thesis. Mikey, Prop 8 didn't take away rights. It defined what a word means. It means something between a man and a woman. That's P1 easy. Yeah, but if the word is a government institution. That comes along with rights. Please. Isn't that civil union the same though? That's what we haven't figured out. If there's a difference between civil unions and the rights with the civil union. Speaking of that, like yesterday I was reading like the most up to date stuff on it. And they weren't even sure. Like state lawmakers are not sure really what's going to happen next. But civil union is still separate but equal, which, you know, doesn't fly for me. Yeah. Still separate. Mikey, nowhere in the U.S. Constitution is marriage listed as a right of the people. That's P1 Polo. If you're a Sylvan Union and you got all the same things that a marriage got, isn't it just a word at that point? Yeah, but if it is, you know. What is it? I mean, I don't understand. But to me, it's saying, oh, the word marriage is good for heterosexual. Marriage is what is between a man and a woman.
is what's defined as a man and woman, and a civil union is something different. Yeah. I don't understand why. What's the big deal? I don't know. To me, it's, you know, it's discriminating against people. It's saying, you know, you're not as good. You don't qualify for this. I don't know. I don't like it. I want us all to be equal. You know, honestly, I don't, I honestly don't go, this proposition is about that group of people, and you don't, and you this, and you that. For me, and I believe for a lot of Prop 8ers, it's not about them. It's about this big word that they're holding in their hands called marriage. It's about that word, and it's about what that is. They're protecting that. I mean, when it says protecting marriage, that's what it's about. It's protecting that word. And to us, the people that believe that Prop 8 should have been passed, That word's so important. It's really important. Let's see. Now the techs are rolling in about the eating competition. Mikey, I knew it the whole time. The Oracle's never wrong about such a prestigious sporting event. That's P1 Taylor. It was very prestigious. So true. It's not even. It was a must win. That's right. Thank you. She had to have that and she got it. She did. She deserved it. Mikey, vote yes on Prop Corn Dog.
Oh, my. It's mini corn dog. Let's see. Mikey, let's hear a victory song from the Little Piggy. That's P1 Nick. And if you really want a victory song, fine. You can have one. Oh, wow. That's weird. This is the ultimate victory song. Hey, little sister, who's the one you want? Hey, little sister, you're gone. It's a must day to win again. Wow. Shocking. I want winners. Confusingly, this text message says, Eddie for president in 2013. That's P1. Wait. I plan on running in 13. But that's five years from now. Yes. As long as that. Exactly. I only feel like running for three years. Okay. Mikey, your prank telemarketing call had me cracking up at work. Laughter is my weakness. More, please. That's P1 Hamill. I'm a ding dong. What do we got? What time is it? 930. Did I tell you yet that the U.S. is cutting troop levels in Iraq this month? We talk about that? Not yet. Whose call is that? Yeah. Is it an Obama move? No.
Well, no, he's not inaugurated until January. Damn you, Obama. They say due to a decline in violence in Iraq, they'll be reducing, the U.S. military will be reducing its presence to 14 combat brigades this month. Now, they're going to bring home two brigades. I guess a brigade is around 3,500 soldiers. Brigades. So they're going to bring two home, but they're sending a fresh one out. So that means that one gets to come home and stay. So that's bringing home about 3,500 soldiers. So that's really good. They say that in northwest Baghdad, violence is down about 50% in overall attacks in that area. Awesome. And by the way, if you haven't already heard, the breaking news that we got today was that Oprah used a port-a-potty for the first time at the Obama. Wow. First time for everything, you know what I mean? In Las Vegas, police are on the lookout for rapper Mos Def. Oh, Sean. Sean's friend. Mos Def. Have you seen him recently, Sean? I don't know that person. That's the guy that you're friends with? He works at 7-Eleven. That works at 7-Eleven. Is that his name? No, no, he's not a rapper. The guy I know is not a rapper. Oh, but they have the same name? No, they don't have the same name. Is he named after the rapper? It's called, his name is Mos, Mos Deep.
No. It's Mos Eisley. No. Mos. He's very dangerous. Although it's a good reference, it's not. No, he's Dwight's cousin, Mos. Oh, Mos. You all know what his name is, yet you do this thing. It's Mos Def. No. What? What's going on, guys? Def Comedy Jam. Cool beans. What? Cool running. What's happening? This? Yeah. Oh, somebody, I don't know, somebody dropped off food. Oh. Cool. I thought something was going on. Cats. Let's see. What did I miss? What did I miss? Danny Bonaduce. Oh, what's he up to? His divorce is finally going to pay. Eddie, take a guess what Danny Bonaduce has to pay a month. Take a guess. For alimony or child support? It's alimony and child support. He has two kids, 13 and 7. His wife is getting custody. Ex-wife, I should say. Five grand? I want to say ten. Sean, what do you think? Well, I don't think he has that much money. I'm kind of in agreement with Eddie. I would say like, I'll say three grand a month. Five grand is a lot. Yeah. Ashley, you want to take a guess? A month? Five? I don't know. I have no idea because I don't know how much money he made. Well said. I have no idea how much money he made. That's why I'm asking you to guess.
Maybe $4,000? All right. You guys are all too low. Really? Sky. $16,000 a month. Oh, yes. Holy cow. I win. Yeah. Money, money, money. $16,000. They claim. $1,000. According to court papers. That's crazy. He makes $780,000 a year. Whoa. What? $500,000 from CBS for his radio work he does for them. And then $280,000 a year for hosting some reality show called I Know My Kid's a Star. He makes how much for the radio show? $500,000. He makes $500,000 a year for the radio show? According to the question. Doing what shift? I want Bonaduce. He's on a morning show. Is he still on the morning show? Okay. Where? Is he with Corolla? He's with Corolla. Really? Yeah. Guy makes half a million with that. And then what? $280,000 to host a reality show called I Know My Kid's a Star. Sean. What? It's a good show. It's not bad.
So that's $780,000 a year. So I guess the court felt that the ex-wife should get $16,000 a month in alimony and child support. Now, do we know? Do we know? Yeah. Is that because his pay, you got to guess, is that much, but then it gets taxed, right? Yeah, everyone pays taxes. So does the $16,000, is that... Like, does it have to do with taxes or he actually has to write a check every two weeks for $8,000? I don't know. Is alimony and child support considered income? I don't know. I don't know either. So I don't know if it's taxable or not. Can you imagine writing a check? Can you imagine that you would be able to write a check for $8,000 every two weeks? No. Well, I mean, even if he made that much money? $16,000 a month. That's crazy. What is $16,000 times 12? I got my calculator right here. Oh, you're so good. Okay. $16,000 times 12 equals $192,000. Oh, my gosh. Of his $780,000 a year. Yeah. Oh, my goodness. That's a lot of dough. Mikey Show. Yes. Just wanted to talk about Danny Bonaguchi there. Yeah.
He only works an hour a day on the radio. He has an hour shift from 2 to 3 in the afternoon. Yeah, I didn't think he was with Corolla anymore. There was like a falling out, I thought I remembered reading, and then they brought him to do this like hour-long midday show. Really? Yeah, so he makes $500,000 for that hour-long midday show. He makes a half a million dollars for 10 hours of work every two weeks. Five hours of work a week. Rob is really, his head is spinning. Rob's head is spinning. Mikey show, hello. That don't sit right. That don't sit right. That's a lot of dough. Pam Anderson says she likes living in a trailer. Does that surprise anyone? What is that a lot? Good for her. Well, I guess her house, you know, her main home that they live in is undergoing renovation. So they got a mobile home and it's like right by the beach. And so she says it's great. You know, her kids love it. And they're right by the beach and they get to go to laundry mats and sit outside on folding chairs. And it's great. She loves it. Sounds right. That's the life. Yep. Who said that? I don't know. His name isn't Huge Jackman? No, I don't think so. I think you're incorrect on that one. He's Australian, Scott. Oh, then my bad. They spell it differently there. Tom Selleck. Sarah Jessica Parker. Ethan Allen.
That's a store. That was a guy with really good taste. Jerome. Is Jerome on there? Jerome. That guy Pottery Barn. Mr. Depot. Dixie Line. Mikey Show. John Travolta. Sean Connery. Never do that again. What happened? Number five is Meryl Streep. Oh, wow. I never would have guessed that. Are you kidding? She's alive. Is it really? She's alive. I think Danny Ganz is more popular than she is. Wow. That wasn't fair. I love Meryl Streep. Man. Victor Tabak. What about Victor Tabak? Did you see if the name was on there? At least look. At least you should look. His friends know him as Vicky. What about Bernard Capel? Is Bernard Capel on... Hey, what about Benny Del Toro? That's right. We already finished the list. Benny Del Toro. Just look. Just look for Benny Del Toro. Check that out. Benny Del Toro is my favorite. Benny Del Toro.
You work with Benny? Have you ever worked with that? He's so fun to work with. That's right. He's great. Charles Norris. Tina Fey says that she's going to retire Sarah Palin. She's real happy to do it. There's no real need anymore. She says she gets to focus on her day job, which is 30 Rock, and so she doesn't ever again plan to play Sarah Palin. There's seven people on the Mikey Show. Myself, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston Robbins, Zeth. Do any of us watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade? Do any of us? I've been to it. Yeah, I normally do. Yeah, I usually have it on. Sky and Sean, you guys watch the... I watch football. Yeah, I like to watch all the parades. Honestly, I don't understand watching a parade on television.
I don't understand watching a parade because I get so bored. Yeah, I don't have the attention span. Oh, no way. Sky, you have an attention span. Well, to me, it's like it's a signal that, you know, holiday time. It's like having Christmas music on in the background to me is like having the parade on. But it's not like watching leaves falling off a tree. Like when they go by, they go by so slow. So slowly on the screen. So it's not like watching water boil? No. It's what? No, it is not like watching water boil. It is not. It's not to me. Because I would think it would be a lot like watching water boil. I would too. I watch paint. Yes. Which is really fun. What about grass growing? Have you ever seen grass grow? I like that. These things are all fun. What do you guys, talk to me about the sensation that happens when you're watching a parade. Talk to me. Yeah, Eddie's now doing a big giant float, like moving in a float way. Yeah, it's like waving. Did you see? Yeah, it's got the automation. It's got the automation. It's moving. And hey, look at that. Look at that thing. Look, you guys. It's Charlie Brown. It's Charlie Brown with pumpkins all around and made out of flowers. Isn't that great? No, that's just Seth, actually. That's actually just Seth. Well, Seth. Float. Just Seth. Yeah. Well, anyway. Do they know football or something? I don't know. Yeah. But anyway, this year, who's going to be in it, Sky?
The Lions and the Cowboys traditionally, Mike. Yeah. We're talking about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Every Thanksgiving they play. Oh. On the lead float this year, we will get to enjoy the stylings. There's a lead float? Like that's the first one out? Yeah, lead float. Is that like a big deal? Is it the best one? You want the lead float. Yeah, dude. You don't want to be, you know. It's root beer float this year. That's right. So on the lead float, we will get to enjoy the stylings of. Smiley Cyrus. Smiley Miley. It makes sense, right? That's the audience, right? I mean, who's watching the parade? Probably Smiley Miley fans. Old ladies? Yeah. Wait. I said I watch it. There's all kinds of people that watch it. Oh, you know what? There's football on tonight. Oh, yeah. This is the first Thursday night game. Who's playing the Steelers? What's up? No, actually. Come on, Fitzgerald. Yes, Fitzgerald. He's knocking here. Throwing that picture around. Denver and Cleveland. Oh, yes. Cleveland and Denver. Yeah, so if you have fantasy football teams, you better set your lineups. Yeah. Get screwed over. What's that all about? They're starting, you know, they usually play Saturday games late in the year. Yeah. But they decided to get rid of those, and then the NFL Network are going to air Thursday games. Oh.
So there's no Saturday games anymore? I don't believe so. I'll double check. There may be a couple, but that was the big deal this year. Hey, man, I wouldn't be responsible if I did not continue to let people that are tuning in for the first time right now let people know that Oprah used a port-a-potty for the first time. Unbelievable. I think it needs to get out there, you know. I just think people need to know. It's too good. Simon Cowell's taking a break from women after the big breakup. They broke up? Oh, yeah. What? When? How? Yeah, after about six years, they finally decided. Well, because Simon Cowell had been honest with his girlfriend that, you know, he doesn't want to get married or ever have children. And she finally realized, I do want to get married and have children. So they broke up, and now Simon says he's taking a break from women. Going to try men. Seacrest is utterly horrendous. Tomorrow's show, Weekend Worry Award. So if you've got something crazy coming up this weekend that you really want to tell us about, that you're worried about or whatever, call us up tomorrow. We're going to be doing that. Also, have the next Eddie B. Rob challenge. Oh! Announcement! Now, this is going to be cool. The reason that this is such an awesome thing is because not only are we going to be doing the next Eddie B. Rob challenge on location. For you P1s. But when we roll, we like to roll large. As you know, when we do something big, we want it to get TV coverage. We want to make it huge. And we go to the biggest places that we could possibly go. So let's see. Let's do a Eddie B. Rob challenge and have it at Qualcomm Stadium. Yeah, it's just the way we do things around here. We're both trying out to be the new defensive coordinator. There you go.
I like it. I'm going to win. I'm just going to pull my pants down. There you go. That's what Mike Singletary did. Why not? It does not work, actually. It doesn't? Well, you can try it. Now, we are going to do a Eddie B. Rob challenge, but we're also going to incorporate some humanitarian stuff into this as well. Because while we're doing it, we're also going to be having a food drive out there. Oh, food. So we want people to bring their canned goods. And if you... Bring at least 10 cans. You're going to get a shot at what we're going to be doing out there. It's a paintball challenge. Oh, yeah. It's a paintball challenge. That sounds a lot more advanced than Ross. A lot more. Bam, musket. Right? Gunpowder. Give me the gunpowder. So it's going to be Eddie and B-Rob in a competition. But that's not all. We're going to throw a little something special in this thing. Ooh, special.
Eddie and B-Rob will be competing in a paintball challenge, and they're going to be in teams. What? I choose Zeth. Yeah, let's do this, Eddie. I choose Mike. Assign teams. Oh. Huh? Eddie gets Sky, Rob gets Ashton. Hold on. She's afraid of her shadow life. Did you see her on the go cards? She still has an apologize to me today. I don't approve of guns. I don't approve of guns. This is ridiculous. I don't approve of guns. I get a play? Oh, yeah. Dude, she's fearless. Can I have Ashley? Give me some high fives through the glass of my brother. Yes. That's what I'm talking about. Everybody's her brother. I'm afraid of everything. That is true. That's true. We are going to demolish. Remember the race? The race that they did, and she went like two miles per hour the whole time. See, what I was thinking about is just how fun it'll be to have you guys team up. But it hurts when you get hit with that stuff. That's why you got to run. There is a mild sensitivity for sure, a mild sensitivity. I don't want to. But here's what we're going to do. Rob is also our stump boy. And so what I thought we would do is we would take Rob and Zeph.
Okay. And we would dress them up like turkeys. All right. Again, a bunch of turkeys. And we would put them in a makeshift pen. And if you bring 10 cans down there, you get to shoot at the turkeys. Oh, my gosh. With paintball guns? Yes. That's awesome. Do I get a gun to shoot back? No. You're a turkey. You're a turkey. Turkeys can't do that. That's huge. Now, I want you to try to get in your head the visual of a makeshift pen. And Rob and Zach dressed like turkeys trying to avoid the shots running into each other in the pen. So good. I smell television. So good. When is this? This is going to be one week from today. Is that right? Tomorrow. One week from tomorrow? Tomorrow's Friday. We're doing it on a Friday. Oh, I am going to be sick that day. No, you're not. Scott, let's talk. I don't want to talk. Let's talk. Teddy, it's going to hurt. Hold on a second. It doesn't hurt if you don't get hit. Can I hide behind you? Absolutely. I will just hide behind you. Remember how good we were in the cooking thing? Put me in a little backpack. You guys were great in the cooking competition. We were good teammates. But cooking isn't scary and ouchy. You could burn yourself or cut yourself. But there's guns involved and I don't approve of guns. Yeah, you gotta learn how to shoot between the eyes and the eyes. I don't know how to shoot. Ashley's fearless. For the record, anything
that happens on the paint field is strictly for the game and not coming toward, like, from my, from a place of, like, anything in me. Just so you know. Oh, so that means she's going to specifically target me. What Ashley is saying is, what Ashley is saying is, what Ashley is saying is, is that you're dead. No, I'm not saying that. I get how you roll. I'm not saying that. She is going to shoot you. No, I'm not saying that. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying. I'm going to come after Scott. No, I'm not saying that. It's over, Skye. I'm coming after both of you. Yeah. Yeah, she is. Mike, why did she think that? Let me tell you something, Skye. Wow. Wow, Ashley. I thought I knew you better than that. Ashley is going to wipe the mat with you. Oh, yeah. I'm not going to target Skye. I would never. But Skye, I love you and you're my girl. But when we get out there, I'm going to then, you know. Hey, let me translate. Let me translate for Ashley. She's going to target you. I thought I was picking up on that vibe. That's all she's trying to say. I don't like having partners. It's going to be great. I don't like being a partner. Eddie, let me tell you.
Maybe you would have thought that in that cooking challenge. Look how great it turned out. Boy, this will be awesome. Mike. I really wish I was with Eddie, though. Dang it. Oh, what? No offense, Ron. Hey, Rob. No offense. He's just better. Very offensive. Don't run into it. You might be friendly fire. Yeah. I don't care for any of this. This is going to be fun. It's going to be the best. It's going to be a week from tomorrow. So plan. Plan. 10 cans gets you a shot at our two turkeys. Hey, turkey. Text us at 35253. Mikey, I think you might have started a Barber Broke fan club with that bit. That's P1 Jackie Chan's stunt double. Mikey, so is Ashley going to be on time to the B-Rob edit? Oh, no. Wow. That's hurtful. That's P1 Asian Mike. What is that joke? How are you laughing? Why are you, of all people, laughing? Of all people, the last night. Get out of here, you. That is messed up. That stupid thing. Mike, you were correct. I was incorrect. It is a week from today. Oh, it's a week from today. It is Thursday. Mike is correct. Make plans to get out there a week from today. We're going to do the whole show out there. We are on location. Qualcomm Stadium, next Thursday. Thursday.
Let me tell you, when I asked Jay if we could do this and I said Qualcomm, I said it knowing, well, that's stupid. How are we going to get Qualcomm? We got Qualcomm. We got Qualcomm. We're going to do this at Qualcomm. I'm feeling ill. You're going to be great, Sky. Sky, you're going to do great. Get after me. Get after Rob. How about a P1? I want to see you come out. How about Eddie plays with a P1? Eddie! I mean... You're discounting. She's not... Listen to what she's saying. Are you kidding? She's an awesome dancer. What? What the hell is that? That is a great point. That is a great invalid point to our argument that you're going to be great, Scott. You know that one of the prerequisites to be able to be a sniper is you've got to dance. You've got to have rock moves. I don't. She's going to kill it. Great voice. She's got good moves. Hey, hey, hey, guys. Oprah used a porta potty for the first time. Wait, what? That's crazy. That's crazy.
Can you imagine her saying that to Zoe? I just used a port-a-potty for the... Port-a-potty! Everybody gets a port-a-potty! All of you people pooping right now, look under your chairs! That's not just blue water down there! Like nothing registers in her brain like I probably shouldn't say this. I shouldn't say that. This makes me look a little pretentious. Like I'm very, very pretentious and I don't live a normal life. Because, you know, pretty much every American but me has used a port-a-potty at one time. You know, like the little people. Absolutely. That's so bad. I still have not been able to convince my wife that Pooh Mountain is based on a port-a-potty. When we go down Rancho Santa Fe. When we go down this little hill, we smell poop. And, man, the first year, I had to always convince her, it wasn't me, it wasn't me. Yuck. Same spot. Same spot. Every time she thought, I was like, oh, I get it, it's so funny. It's the altitude. Yeah. It's the altitude that does it. There's a port-a-potty right there on the side of the road. Oh, well, of course it is. It's awful. And she goes, it wouldn't smell that strongly. I said, you know, honey, I know it's really weird, but, you know.
It smells. It does. So, you know, it is possible. I think we've hit it all. I think we've got everything. I think we've covered everything. That's so gorgeous. It really is. Romance. Warms me. Romance. 570-1053 is our phone number. So give us a call right now. At the beginning and the end of every show, we do an open phone segment where we allow you to call about anything you want. What just happened? Rob just offered me some leftover mini corn dogs. That's being nice. And I said, no, thank you. That happened two hours ago. Yeah. I mean, I think some of those had been thrown around the room. We were playing with them, but still. I don't want to leave anybody out.
Okay. Sky, P1 Spaniard has paintball tips for you. Oh, here we go. Oh. Come on, guys. Here we go, Sky. P1 Spaniard. Hey, how's it going, guys? Good. Hey, listen, I just wanted to actually give Sky a couple words of encouragement. You know, if you're really worried about being shot, Sky, you know, I can invite you down to my shop, you know, and show you a couple tricks, you know, to give you an advantage over the boys. Here you go, Sky. What's up, dude? Come on, train a little. You'd be real good. That's what I'm saying. Come on, Curly Sue. I know how Sky won't even get hit. I have a secret. Sky pretends that we're holiday hams or gophers in the yard. Imagine that, Sky. He will become Rambo. That's right. Ravenous. Sorry, I found out. It seems to me that females actually have a better shot than most guys. What's up, Sky? I'd be a little bit worried. I think if she does that, she's going to throw the paint gun down and try to eat you guys. Definitely, if you guys want any practice or any chance like that, my shop is the one helping sponsor this one. They're actually a ground floor paintball up in North County over here. Shout out. Shout out. There it is. I practice shooting in my house.
Well, thank you for the offer. Thank you, sir. Anything, Scott. Don't even worry about it. And you know what? I'm worried. It's not going to hurt if you don't get hit, doll. That's it. Okay. There you go. The doll is hiding. Thank you. Mikey Show. Hey, what's going on, Mikey? Good morning. What's up? Hey, you know what? Actually, I have two questions for the Oracle, but just so you know, there are still games on Saturdays. There's only one. Yeah, and then you know what? The Thursday game here in San Diego is against the Raiders, I think, on December. That should be fun. Yeah, but you know what? Hey, I got two questions for the Oracle. First question is D'Angelo Hall, man. I mean, how do you see, do you think the Chargers should take a bet on this guy? And the other question is, are the Padres honestly thinking about training Peavy to the Dodgers? For your first question, I would not take D'Angelo Hall on the Chargers. A.J. Smith and Norv are very big on character guys and not bringing in. People that will, you know, ruffle feathers. Can't do it. Can't do it. Can't win with them. So I don't believe he's going to be a charger. He's talented, but, I mean, he is a, you know, one of those kind of cancerous guys in the locker room. I want winners. You're going to say a little excuse on that? Can't blame that on Pooh Mountain.
Hey, can we get a cider rice? Oh, please for the one. Oh, my. The other part of the question. PV to the Dodgers, that would be a huge mistake. I mean, Dodgers do have some good guys that we should get, but I would not want to face Jake PV like seven, eight times a year. Oh, man. Thanks, guys, and I love him. Thank you. Who doesn't? Apparently. Mikey show. I wanted to ask Mikey if his nanny's husband ever got that job. You know, that's a good question because I got a call or we got to see her and we're going to see her in a couple of days and we got to ask. I don't know. I don't know. And what I said was I told her, I said, hey, listen, if we need to, we'll ask again, you know, to try to find work for your husband so that they don't have to move because they were going to have to go back to Mexico. That's what I think touched me. I wanted to know if she got that. Well, we don't know.
We don't know, but if it doesn't happen, then if he didn't get anything, then I'm going to mention it again on the air and hopefully be able to get something for him because she's been a blessing to our little boy. So, thank you. I appreciate it. She knows, dude. Thank you. I know. P1 Arborist? Yes, hi. Good morning. Arborist. Arborist. What's going on? I have a quick question for Eddie and possibly Sean. My son and I have the same birthday, which was yesterday. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Thank you, thank you. And he got a Wii and I got a PlayStation 3. We want to know what games he recommends for the family for Thanksgiving and when we're getting together. Holy cow. That's such a tough question. Why wouldn't you ask me? Oh, hey, sorry about that. Well, the Wii comes with a bunch of games that are fun for kids to play.
you'll have a good time with those. You've got dissection. That's a fun one. You've got calculus. That's a good one. That's my favorite one. And then you have accounting for little ones. These are all incorrect. Apocalypse Now. That's a fun one. Hello? Maybe Resident Evil is a good one for the kids. You get in there, you just have a lot of fun with it. Soul Calibur 4. Level easy. Kids love that one. They love it. 30 days of night is pretty good. Okay, Sean. Mikey Show, last call. Bring us home. Hi, this is P1 Dungeon Master. I'm calling in regards to the Star Wars comment earlier about R2-D2. What's up, DM? What you got? Go ahead. All right, what's up? Yeah, R2-D2 was an astrodroid.
He was meant to stay with the ship. And so he wouldn't be equipped with a GPS because he was supposed to be put back in the utility closet when they were finished with him. I just feel nerd here. So what is up now? Oh, yeah. Now what? Thank you for the call. C-3PO is a protocol droid. Wow. Wow. GPS either. Wow. Are you kidding me? Lovely. And Talented Missy is coming up next. And today she's got Lost and Found. Songs you haven't heard in a long time. You're going to love it. Don't forget, tomorrow on the show we're going to be doing P1 Worry War. So if you've got something you're going to be all freaked out about this weekend, we want to hear from you. 5.30. The Mikey Show's out.
