The Mikey Show broadcast from Qualcomm Stadium for a San Diego Food Bank drive built around amateur paintball, with Boston Rob and Ashley beating Skye and Zeth before professionals demolished all four. Mikey had to return to the studio when the remote equipment failed, but Eddie kept the field action moving through the turkey shoot and Ashley's nearly unrecognizable tone-deaf karaoke. The crew also treated Paula Goodspeed's death seriously, arguing that American Idol bore responsibility for exploiting unstable auditioners, while Eddie's defense of the Padres' looming Jake Peavy trade drew open ridicule. Later, Skye debated the consistency of conserving water while using Christmas lights, and Mikey's toy nostalgia led to a startling caller story about a Shogun Warrior causing a permanent eye injury.
What happened, in order
The earthquake drill gets dark
The crew turned Southern California's planned 7.8-magnitude earthquake drill into jokes about prison wine, assigned casualties, and what students really do under their desks.
Eddie accepts the Padres fire sale
Eddie insisted the Padres knew what they were doing as a Jake Peavy trade loomed, while Mikey and Boston Rob mocked his forced optimism about losing Peavy, Khalil Greene, and Trevor Hoffman.
The cost of American Idol humiliation
After Paula Goodspeed was found dead outside Paula Abdul's home, Mikey, Eddie, and Skye argued that American Idol knowingly exploited visibly unstable auditioners for laughs.
The remote broadcast breaks down
Severe technical failures at Qualcomm forced Mikey to drive back to the studio while the remaining crew improvised on air and struggled to route microphones correctly.
Three-second paintball disaster
Zeth was eliminated by a face shot within three seconds, leaving a terrified Skye alone before Ashley and Boston Rob completed an untouched victory.
Pros demolish the radio team
Four experienced paintball players swept Skye, Zeth, Boston Rob, and Ashley without losing anyone, landing three headshots and one painful knee shot.
Tone-deaf karaoke
Ashley sang mangled versions of songs by REO Speedwagon, Duran Duran, Quiet Riot, and Godsmack so badly that none of the callers could identify one correctly.
Turkeys under fire
Boston Rob and Zeth donned homemade turkey costumes inside a cramped cage and absorbed paintballs from food-bank donors, including several shots to their hands, knees, and groins.
Christmas lights versus conservation
Skye defended using white LED Christmas lights while conserving water by not always flushing, and the crew and callers challenged whether her environmental logic was consistent.
Toys, nostalgia, and an eye patch
A discussion of He-Man, Shogun Warriors, Stretch Armstrong, and the Toy Hall of Fame peaked when a caller said his modified Shogun Warrior permanently damaged his best friend's eye.

Thank you very much for joining us. Thank you.
Thank you. We'll be right back.
We'll be right back. We are broadcasting live from Qualcomm Stadium this morning for a, well, it's going to be a pretty cool event with a lot of nervous people.
That's all I'm saying, right? Nervous. Eddie is not nervous. Eddie is not nervous. I don't see a lot of nervousness in Ashley's face. Ashley looks like she's ready to get started now. I'm really excited. Rob, it looks like he's fine. And hey, listen. I love shooting stuff. Sky, on the other hand, she looks a little bit, I think, nervous. Come on, baby. I think that's a great way to put it. My name is not Baby. All right, sweetheart. Team Hamical, we got this. Team what? Hamical. Hey, Sky, is it weird that Eddie has been calling you Baby all morning?
It is very weird. We're partners, Mike. I mean, look at me wearing the same jackets. We're doing this. Yeah. Well. I like Ashley's paintball outfit. She's looking real good. Yeah, Ash. Thanks, guys. Listen. I dressed up for the occasion. Well, she dressed up for shopping. She looks gorgeous. Well, Mike, I don't know if you've seen her shoes, but those are the officially licensed paintball shoes. Are you kidding me with that? Of 2008. You brought Teddy. Rob. Yeah. Go on. Now, doesn't Ashley kind of look like, you know, hey, you know, she looks great, but she's your typical college student, and she's about to hit up Norge. It looks like she's about to go to yoga, Mike.
I am still your typical college student, though. That is the truth. I mean, take it. I look like I'm going to class. You do. Yes. You look great. Well, that's great. That's my motive. I'm worried. I'm worried. I brought close. Like you're sleeping with a professor. Wait, Eddie. Wait a second. Wait a second. Is that not accurate? Listen, listen. We have a lot to do, and we have very little time. So let's get this thing on the road. Okay. First of all, call us, 570-1053. We'd love to hear from you. And we're live out of Qualcomm Stadium. And this is what you do. You come down here this morning and bring 10 cans of food.
Because we're doing a food drive out here at the Q as well. But if you bring 10 cans of food, you will get one shot at our two turkeys. Oh, you turkey. Two turkeys. Boston Rob and Zeth. Oh, gobble, gobble. That's right. We're going to be having them, you know, dressed up as a couple of turkeys. And they will be in a turkey pen. Oh, my. That's right. And I just want to say thank you to the San Diego Food Bank. Because they do a lot for the community.
And that's what we're raising these canned goods for today is to help fill up that food bank. 65,000 square feet. That's how big that food bank is, which I had no idea. That is a lot bigger than your average apartment. I just want to let you guys know. A little bit. It is? 65,000 square feet. Daddy, I think that's what Lars' house was when we went to it, right? Really? Wow. Yeah, well, it's gigantic, I'll tell you that. They have a 24-member staff, and what they do is they feed about 19,500 people every day. Love it.
Wow. So basically we're asking you, come on down here and donate some food today. I brought my cans. Did you? Yeah, you did, baby. Hello. Okay, Eddie, number one, stop calling me baby. Eddie just gave the piss pump. That was awesome. And number two, that's not what I meant. You know what I meant. You know what I meant. Whatever. If not, I'll take them. Okay. Qualifies as a few, doesn't it, guys? Okay, all right.
Look at that. Sky gets one free shot at Boston Rob. This is really inappropriate. Okay, you know what I meant. Hey, let's go around and introduce everybody on the show. We've got seven people on the Mikey Show, so let's go. Oh, by the way, when you arrive at Qualcomm, if you want to hang out with our live broadcast, we'd love to see you. We are in Section P1. Look at that, Mike. How about that? Section P1. Get it? That's right. Come on down and hang with us. So good.
Come on down and hang with us in Section P1. Oh, my gosh. This is going to be awesome. Thank you. No, it is. It's Ashley's mother. What did you say, Mom? Oh, it is. It is. Lots of fun. It is. Dude, your mom's drops are my favorite. It may be the greatest thing ever. Holy crap. She should be going into some sort of animation.
Yeah. Oh, yeah. Like, she's got to contact Pixar. Like, she's too animated for cartoons. Yeah, yeah, dude. Like, Disney's like, what are we supposed to do with that? It's too much. Yeah. Can you tone it down a lot? Wow. Wow. All right. I love it. I love it. So let's introduce, my name is Mikey, and I'm the host. Thank you. Thank you, Mom. Hi to you, too. Hi to you as well. I am 38 years of age and easily entertained. That's what I'll tell you about me.
And I have very dainty hands. Very dainty. Very soft, very dainty. Hairless. Yes, yes, that way. Why'd you have to say effeminate? Why did Sean say effeminate? I missed that. I didn't hear that. I wouldn't categorize them as effeminate. Sky. Come on now. Sean misspoke. Oh, oh, oh. You got to pod him up on the... We can't hear Sean, people are saying. Oh, back in the studio.
Okay, that comes up under the button that says Zephyr. On the board, the button that says Zephyr is where Sean comes up. Zephyr. You got it? Okay, cool. Check, test, test. Hello, hello, one, two, one, two. That means that everything we were just hearing, the audience didn't hear. Oh, that was nothing. Yeah, do it again. From the top, take two. Oh, wow. And you're on. Ba-da-da-ba-da-da. What is it down?
Oh, shit. We could stuff the entire audience into a DeLorean and get it up to 88 miles an hour. Sean, let's hear, let the audience now hear Ashley's mom. Hey, how's it going? Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Oh, that'll be fun. Why, you sound so funny. That is phenomenal.
That is phenomenal. It's too much. Dude, it is. It is. It's too much. Like, I'm enjoying it too much. Wow. All right, let's go around and introduce. Oh, yeah, baby. I'm already exhausted. I'm winded. Oh, shit. I know it. That's how I feel. I'm Mikey. You guys have dainty hands. That's right. Where were we? I have little dainty hands.
Affirmative. So if anybody has gloves in size extra small. Mittens. Yes, little mittens. So cute. Bring them out. In fact, I have gloves in my car. I'm going to go get them. I hope you guys are cool with that. Driving gloves, Rob. I hope you're cool with this making fun of you. You can go fast. Section P1 of Qualcomm is where we are. We're raising a bunch of canned goods today. Ten cans gets you a shot at Boston Rob and Zeth when they dress up like turkeys. But the real reason that we're here is because we are going to have a paintball tournament. And our very own paintball tournament.
And the two teams are Team Boston Sweat. Boston Sweats? That's right. Boston Sweat. No, Boston Sweat Party. The Boston Sweat Party. That's right. And then we have the team of the Oraham? No, Hamical. The Hamical. That's not our name. Team Hamical. Fire it up. Yeah! What the? Sky, are you okay? Holy moly. Yeah. Eddie just fired Sky up. You know it, baby.
Eddie just fired Sky up. Is that what that happened? I think that's what that was. Okay. Come hang with us. Come be a part of this this morning here at Qualcomm Stadium. When I'm not in the studio, I'm always a little thrown off, which actually makes for a funner show because it's unpredictable. You know, you never know what Mikey you're going to get. How are you feeling? I'm feeling a little anxious, but at the same time, I'm feeling exuberant. And really, yeah, exuberant. I'm feeling dainty-handed. You look like him.
Yeah, feeling great. Okay, Eddie is our producer, our sports guy. He is 35 years of age. Skye is our news girl. And she is 31. Shawty O'Boy is our sound effects guy. He's 38 years old. He lives in San Francisco, or he lives in San Jose. He works in San Francisco. Right now, when you hear him playing sound effects, you are hearing him in a high-rise building in San Francisco playing his sound effects. Oh, shoot. That's right. That's where that just originated from.
And then we have Boston Rob. Where is he from? And Boston Rob is from Boston. Oh, really? Is he not high right in Boston? He is not. He's sitting in front of us. That'd be nice. He's got on a little beanie, and he's ready to go. That's true. And finally, there is the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt. Chop liver. Did I forget Ash? Chop liver. Did I forget Ash? I'm sitting right next to him. Wait a minute. He doesn't. I'm distracted. Carry on.
It happens. No, you aren't distracted. My girl is Ashley. She's 25. She's our assistant producer. Oh, God, Sarah, you're funny. Thanks, Mom. Thanks, Mom. That's your mom. You're in the back. Oh, God, Sarah, you're funny. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Oh, my God. It's too much. I know it. I can't handle all of it. That's so awesome.
And then there is the artist. Sir Roosevelt, Zethian Oates, the third, junior, Esquire, MD, DDS, president, and CEO. I see no today. That's right. That is Zeth. He is fantastic. So, hey, man, it's like it's early and everything, but I want to get people out here. You know, we're at Qualcomm.
And so if you can stop by, if even for just a few minutes, really hard to find. So just be careful. Oh, please. I drove all the way around this thing that I can understand that full circle. Let me tell you something. If you're coming to Qualcomm, word of advice, word of advice, all right? I got one word for you. Bring a compass, all right? A circle is one of the trickiest shapes. That's right. He's getting this turned on me.
I found it fine. I GPA'd it. Just bring your job, P.S. Here's the weird... Yes. If you'd like an autograph, if you'd like an autograph, then bring your Shopee and you're looking at P2. I'll borrow you a man. Okay. I found it fine. Here's the easiest way to find us. If you come in the main entrance of Qualcomm, think of that as 6 o'clock. We're at 9 o'clock.
Section P1. Mike, that's going to confuse everyone. Really? Listen, guys. There's so many 9 o' clocks on the clock. When you come in the main entrance, it's to the left. Directly to the left. And it's on the left-hand side. That's what got me, guys. It's on the left-hand side. I kept looking to the right. That's why it's confusing. The right is Qualcomm Stacey. I know, and I was looking. Staring at Qualcomm Stacey. Did you think we were in there? But if you come to the main entrance and you go right, you might end up at the other 9 o'clock. Yeah. No. It's pretty tricky. I was actually at Petco Park.
Yes. It's really confusing. No, I thought we were doing this from the actual business Qualcomm. I went to Sorrento Valley. Oh, wait. I thought we had to be here at 6 o'clock. I was in Sorrento Valley at their corporate office. He's knocking on the door. I payballed that whole place. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. Come down here. We already got P1s. Make noise. Let everybody know you're here, man. We already got some P1s that are hanging out here and doing their thing. And I also want to mention, too, the U.S. Army because they are doing this thing with us.
In fact, tomorrow and this weekend, they're going to be doing something really, really cool. Rock 105.3, the station, and the U.S. Army are doing this whole paintball tournament Friday night from 5 to 7 on the Spider Field. And what is Spider? Spider is, well, first of all, he's a great character in Goodfellas. Yeah. All right. I thought you said Spider. That is true. But Spider is also a company that makes paintball guns. And so if you come out here today, you can get to see this spider feel, which is just amazing. The setup of this thing.
I had no idea it was going to be like this. Me neither. I thought there was going to be two little things to hide behind. This is a full-on obstacle course. Dude, it looked like they were filming Wipeout. Dude, it is so legit. Yeah. It is so awesome. This is hardcore. It's pretty awesome. So they're going to be going out there and doing this up. And you can actually come out here and you can watch 70 of the top paintball manufacturers and see what they do. If you come out here, they're going to all be out here. And if you're into paintball, if you're not into paintball, you should come check it out. Because it's like a whole other world I didn't know about.
It's huge. It's really cool. So come check it out. Lots of stuff going on in the news. Let's talk about it. And call us, 570-1053. You can call us. You can text us at 35253. And we'd love to see you out here. Hey, Mac. Yeah. Hey, Mac. Yeah. If people want to actually watch the actual paintball thing between me and Sky and Ashley and Rob, it's going to happen just after 7 o'clock. So you've got a little bit of time, but get down here. I don't know about that. What do you mean? Well, I have really no guarantee that we're going to. I mean, I think we still need to talk.
It's actually a guarantee, actually. I think we need to talk about our options. No, you can actually put it on the board. It's going to happen. It's a good deal. I thought, okay. It's definitely a good deal. Seriously, it's like an adult playground out there, Skye. We're going to be tumbling and rolling and dodging. Yeah. It's going to be awesome. Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. I don't want anything to do with Ashley. She has that look. She's ready to fight with a football gun. I'm so ready. Oh, dude. So today is 10 o'clock this morning.
Everybody driving right now should know that at 10 o'clock this morning. Don't touch me. The great Southern California shakeout happens. Oh, shakedown? Shake it out. Shake it out. Now, Skye, is that where they come into your cell, they turn your mattress over? Yeah, dude, I've seen this unlock up all the time. That's right. What? They're trying to find out if you're making wine in your cell. Is that the deal? Right, in the toilet, Mike. They're trying to see. Okay. What is it, Skye? Pruno, Mike, it's fermented. You just get any apples, oranges, anything from the cafeteria, the chow room, chow hall, And you just bring it.
You got to sneak it back to yourself. Anything that's fruit related. Then you like stuff it into a cloth and then put it in the toilet. And then drink it. You got to put it over some heat and just ferment for about three to six, Mike. And then you got some good wine. Oh, there you are. Now make you some for Christmas. Is that right? 10 o'clock this morning, we're all making pruno? That's what I was planning on doing. No, that's actually not what is going on. This is a huge earthquake drill. for like all of Southern California, schools, hospitals, government. What's the rule? Stop, drop, and roll? Is that the rule? Yeah, I think so.
Pop, lock, and drop it. Yeah, pop, lock, and drop it. You got to stop and drop it like it's hot. Yeah, definitely drop it like it's hot. Yeah, so basically. You got to flick it, rub it down, oh no? Oh no. Yeah, everybody who's participating in this, it's supposed to be like Southern California gets a 7.8 earthquake. earthquake in the scenario 2 000 people die 50 000 are injured yeah 200 billion in they've created like a whole scenario for the drill that's crazy does anyone find it strange to work under does anyone find it strange like i totally get that they would say hey listen we want this to be a
drill for a big earthquake so let's say 7.8 but they like have a fatality number yeah do you get something in the mail, they're like, you're going to play a dead person at 10 o'clock. Yes. They're like, just lay down. Yeah. They take a big fall, though. Take a big fall. Dive off the couch. Can I get to collect my life insurance? Oh, okay. Rob's like, I'm in the union, so I get paid for this work? Where's craft services? Yeah, no, they have this whole hypothetical earthquake all mapped out. They say that it erupts
just outside of Palm Springs and then makes its way through Riverside and then down through L.A. They say Rosie O'Donnell is in critical but stable condition in this scenario. In this scenario. Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie O'Donnell. What? So yeah, 10 o'clock today. Simple Shepard is fine in this scenario. Oh, good. Simple Shepard is fine. Robert Deone passed away, though. He did. Oh, we lost Robert Young. That's too bad.
54 a.m. Pacific time. In the fake scenario. Michael J. Fox didn't even realize it happened. Rob, Rob, Rob. Too soon. What? Too soon. I don't even get that. Too soon. I thought we were saying celebrities. Too soon. Okay, Alex P. Keaton didn't even know right. Now that doesn't make sense. Wow. He is the worst. There it is. Wow. If you count everybody, he's the worst. I agree, Mike. You're all the worst. Oh, man. But it was there. Is that it, Sky?
That's the whole deal on it? Yeah, so 10 o'clock, you know, schools, kids will be doing the earthquake drill, getting under the desk, and, you know, hospitals, and, you know, they're all going to be taking So, in other words, it's a fun day at school, because this kind of stuff happened when I was at school. Oh, I loved it. This was fun. Oh, I loved it. It meant we weren't having to do normal stuff. Oh, yeah. Everyone's under their... Yes. We're leaning at each other, making faces. Yeah. You could act. Yeah. Oh, my God. We're all going to die. CPR. That's okay. All right. 570-1053 is our phone number.
570-1053. Our text number is 35253. And, Eddie, what's the status with Jake Peavy? Is he still a San Diego Padre? Yes, but not for long. It looks like it's probably going to happen later on today. Jake and the Atlanta Braves, looks like the Padres and Braves have worked out a deal. Really, the Atlanta Braves are actually paying money to get a really great player to come to their city. Wow, how does that work? I've never heard of this before.
They're going to be a contender, actually. I've got to be honest with you. I've come to terms with this. Eddie? I have. I don't like that look, though. That look says I'm okay with it. Like, he's resigned to it. Jake Peavy. You know how when you get a disease and at first you're really upset, but then you're Just say, hey, I'm going to die. Yeah, he's giving up. It's over. Well, you know, I mean, we're going to have a really great team next year. No Khalil. No, we're not. No Jake. No Trevor Hoffman. And I'm okay with it. I'm fine with it. You are not okay with it. I'm fine with it. How could anyone be fine with it? I'm actually thinking about, for the first time, getting season tickets.
And I'm thinking about. You're such a. First time. Padres. I think I can make it. Well, you'll be the best player on the team. Wow. Eddie, how is this all right? That's unfair. How is this? How do we? How am I okay with it, Mike? Well, let me tell you. I believe that the Padres know what they're doing. I believe that they are making all the right. Why are you smiling right now? Because I'm happy. I'm excited. What is this? We're getting fresh blood in here, and obviously we're going to get some great players for all these guys that we're getting rid of. Obviously we are.
Well, I mean, Kevin Towers knows what he's doing, Mike. Duh, Brian Giles. Yeah, hello. The guy gave Brian Giles $9 million. Why is this happening? I don't know. Why is it happening this way? Well, tomorrow opens up, what is it, like the free agent trading or something like something big tomorrow. I heard a rumor that the Padres will be the most active in that. I heard a rumor that the Padres will be the most active team in free agency. In fact, I heard that the Padres are just looking for the players that cost the most. We're going to get Vicky Mantle, Joe DiMaggio.
Yep. Wait a second. Who else? That's funny, Rob. I guess it's cool to make jokes when you have a team that, you know. By the way, that's a guy. That's the Boston Red Sox right there. Yeah, baby. Let's make some moves, Theo. Let's do this. Who do we want? We should have gone after Peavey. We'll give you some good money, give you a nice place to rest your head in Boston. Come on over here. We all know the economy is tough right now, right? Oh, is that what it is? Wait a minute. It's that the economy is tough. He's going to go there. He's going to go there.
He's going to do that. Absolutely. The gas prices. If we could afford it, I'm sure we would be spending a lot of money. Do you think John Morris will issue a statement saying that? If gas was in almost five bucks a gallon over the summer, we would have Jake Peavy. It's true. It's like $2.50. Yeah. This is Bush's fault. Yep. And if things would have changed, you know, earlier, then, you know, I'm sure the Padres would be fine. But right now, we're in an economic crisis, and we're not going to be spending a lot of money. Maybe we can ask for a bailout program or something like that. But as of right now, we're going with what we got.
But you guys got a new stadium, and you got, like... Stop doing that. That hurts my heart. Billions of dollars. I don't think that has anything to do with it. That hurts my heart. That hurts in my sense. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I hope that San Diego fans all rally together. I don't, you know, I'm not going to be the one to organize it, but I hope that San Diego fans rally together and let John Moores know that this is unacceptable. Yeah, let him know. I've accepted it. Why?
I think that the Padres know what they're doing. I really do. I think that they. No, you don't. Eddie, you're the guy who's supposed to, like, get people fired up. The Padres are out of control. I'm excited to see this young ball club perform. Eddie, who are you most excited to see out of the newcomers? Well, it'll be really exciting to see Chase Hedley have a full season, you know, as a Padre. I think Luis Rodriguez is looking like a really exciting player. I don't know who that is.
Why are you struggling? Why are you struggling? Like, wrapping your brain. Like, Rob, who's on your team? A lot of people that I can name. Jed Lowry just came up in the ranks this year for the Red Sox. He was a great game. Who are your good players? Who are your big, good players? David Ortiz, Kevin Uclis, Dustin Pedroia. We have Adrian Gonzalez. Yeah, you do. Brian Giles, bro. I'm sure Clay Hensley will be all healed up and be ready to pitch next year. This is pathetic. Maybe they can get Clay Aiken, too. We've still got Chris Young on the ball clock.
He instantly comes in and is the best hitter on the team. There you go. Oh, that sucker. And he can sing a national anthem before every day. That's right. Perfect. That's awesome. I appreciate that. Two for one, dude. Saving money. Two for one. The governor of Baja has called on the United States to clamp down on the arms flow into Mexico. He's so disgusted with this country. We can't keep, he can't, the guy in Baja, he can't keep Americans out of his country. He's thinking about building a wall.
Yeah, yeah. He's thinking about putting a wall up. Oh, wow. Can't keep those Americans from just trying and struggling to get over that wall and get into Mexico. Yeah. And you know what? He's sick of it, frankly. Wow. You want to hear his quote? Yes. Illegal Americans? Yeah. The United States also has a responsibility here to put things in balance. Who's causing greater harm to who? Is it the migrants with great pains that come to work in that country? Or is it the tens of thousands of weapons that cross the border from north to south? I know.
We're disgusting. Yeah, the United States. Can't do it. That's right. I think that we should finally do something to sort of control our people. To control our American citizens from breaking Mexican law. Listen to me now. We got some irony up in here. Stop going down to the border and throwing handguns over the fence. I've got enough of it. We need to take a stand. Enough is enough. Enough is enough. I will not. We got a great show for you today.
What else am I going to do on the weekends? First of all, we have a paintball tournament up in this hizzy. So, Eddie and Sky are a team. They are team Hamicle. Why are you booing our team? Boston Rob and Ashley are The Boston Sweat Party Oh I bet that sounds like fun So we are going to be doing that Get down here We're in section P1 at Qualcomm Of course we're in section P1 So come down here and check us out And hang with us
We got a big show for you today We're going to be doing this paintball stuff But we also got a little tone deaf karaoke That's right Live from the queue Oh, boy! Also, I cannot wait. Wait to bring up Skye and the conversation that we had in the office yesterday about her and her husband's disagreement over Christmas lights. Wait, this is a doozy. Don't forget, full podcasts and blogs available at the brand new Mikeyshow.com. It's a brand new episode.
I love it. So go check it out right now. And let's get the show started. 570-1053. We'll be back live from the queue. It's Rock 105.3. The Mikey Show Stand-Up Spotlight on Rock 105.3. I'm getting over the flu because I have nieces and nephews. They carry germs. I don't know if you ever hug one of those kids, you know. My mother's like, give your niece a hug. I'd rather lick the toilet seat of the Greyhound bus station. Give Timmy a hug.
He's got the Ebola virus this week. Come on, give him a kiss. He's actually got teeth marks in his neck with some monkey on vacation in Zaire now. Let me hug him. But I'll feel better after this because they say that laughter can cure physical ailments. That's in the New England Medical Journal. This is true. Now they have clowns performing for terminally ill people in hospital wards. Is that what you really want? You're dying of cancer. You want Willie Whistle twisting a balloon into a poodle. Timmy, what do you want, a duck? Let me do a pony for you.
And Timmy's like, yeah, could you twist that thing into a liver? I've been on the list for three years. Speaking of cures, I saw a sign today on the side of a bus. A woman who claimed to be Paula Abdul's biggest fan when she auditioned for American Idol was found dead outside Paula's home this week. A Chargers sign a veteran running back, Michael Bennett, and cut linebacker, Derek Smith. Hey, welcome back, folks. We are broadcasting live from the National Professional Paintball League World Series of Paintball. Holy moly. In Qualcomm Stadium parking lot. We're in section P1, so if you want to come out here, we'd love to see you, man. We're going to be broadcasting the whole show out here this morning. And it'd be awesome to have you come out here and hang out. You're not going to want to miss this paintball.
No. I'm about to have an anxiety attack. No. Sky, we just talked strategy. I know. And now you get me all worked up. Sky's a little nervous. There's no doubt about it. We have the best strategy. I'm telling you. Talk to me. I can't give away my strategy. We have a strategy, too. You haven't even talked about it. I have. I've talked to Rob about it. You're full of it. I have. Do you have a strategy, Ash? Yeah. What's your guy's strategy? I overheard the strategy. Go for Skye. I heard the strategy. No, that is not the strategy. The strategy was go for Skye. Skye's giving you a sad face.
I'm not lunging for Skye. You're not lunging for Skye? No, I'm just playing fair. I just want to win. I heard she went squatting for Skye. No, you guys. I'm not like that. I just want to win. All right. That's my charity, squatting for Skye. That's right. It's really great. We're trying to collect a lot of squats this week. And so it should be great if we collect enough. That's good. Hey, listen, we want to see you out here, and we want you to call us, too, 570-1053. We should be able to take calls here in just a minute. We're getting everything all fired up out here.
Weird story, man. Weird story. There was one of these contestants or a person that was trying out to be on American Idol, same way Ashley did, only this person was not right in the head. This is a trip, too, because Eddie talked about this, and I talked about this, About the whole concept of like, dude, you know how we were saying American Idol was just putting on weirder people and they were doing it to exploit people. And, you know, we were like, I think Eddie even said, like, that could be bad, you know, because you don't know what you're who you're putting there. Right. And and they were always upping the ante and always making, you know, raising the bar higher in terms of the people they were putting on. There's no background checks. They just put them on.
Well, apparently one of the people that was on the show and was doing one of the bad audition kind of deals, this person was not right in the head. They were, like, stalking Paula Abdul, and they found this contestant dead outside Paula Abdul's house. Get out of here. What? Yeah, and I guess this gal has been obsessed with Paula Abdul for, like, 17 years. She draws, like, life-size portraits of Paula all the time and, you know, had reportedly attempted suicide outside Paula's home just a couple months ago. And so she was totally on the police's radar.
You know, all the neighbors knew about her. Paula Abdul knew about her. And then on Tuesday, they, you know, someone reported seeing her car outside Paula's house again. So called the police. The police went to check and she was dead inside the car. Really? Yeah. When did she audition for American Idol? Back in 2005 in Austin, Texas. Really? So not recently. But on the show, when she did the audition, they did a little, like, profile on her about how she believes she's Paula's biggest fan. Yeah.
Yeah. I think I remember that. And kind of exploited the fact that she, like, believed and swore she was Paula's. They compared her to William Hung. No, no, that was Ashley. That was Ashley. That was someone else that was terrible. Paula Goodspeed is her name. Cut one. And where on earth could she have gotten the inspiration for this style? I really like Paula Abdul a lot. She's really cool. I'm, like, a really big fan, and I make life-size drawings of Paula. I've been drawing ever since I was a little kid, and my first drawing was of Paula Abdul. Dude, so, you know, they're doing their thing.
Fox is doing their thing. You know, they put them on. I wonder if that's going to change the way they, you know, kind of exploit these people who audition. And that's the thing. Like, you go, well, what are they going to do? Like, they either, you know, like, they're either going to do this full background check or whatever to find out if they're mentally stable. They can't do that. Fox is crazy, man. You know, they think it's funny to put on mentally challenged people. They think it's funny to put on, obviously, this woman had some issues. I mean, they think that's funny. Right. Like, what does it matter with them? Right. And I don't think they need to go as far as doing background checks. But, I mean, you can tell.
Like, when somebody's a little cuckoo, I mean, it's obvious. I mean, we can tell by watching the show. So you think that during the screening process, they figure that out. Yeah. So that is a gigantic story today, man. That's a gigantic story. That sucks. If you are a fan of the TV show The Office, and you like Ryan from The Office. Isn't he like the sexiest guy in The Office? That's what they say. Oh, wow. I believe he was voted hottest guy in The Office. Oh, my bad. But the actor's name is BJ Novak, and he's going to take a leave of absence from the show. Oh, no, why?
Sky, why? Well, you know, he is actually going to be in the upcoming Quentin Tarantino movie, Inglourious Bastards. Really? Yeah. Watch your mouth, lady. That's right. No, that's the name of the movie. That's children present. That's actually the name of the movie. Hit the button. Not really. So, you know, according to people at NBC, he has asked for a leave of absence so he can, you know, take care of that, focus on that. But inside sources say, yeah, he's trying to really get a movie career going. And you never know, he may not be coming back to the office.
Is he blowing up like as a star or something? Not to my knowledge, no. He's just giving it a run, Mike. Kanye West says it's hard to meet the right girl. Yeah, it must be really tough for him. I'm sure we all feel really bad. He says, you know, when he goes to the clubs, girls are super calculating. They plan every step, every word they say to him. And so it's hard for him to find a genuine girl. But he does want to have kids and settle down sometime. So he says that he feels like he's on his own. And the only way he can express himself right now is through music.
It's through a real show. Right? Wow. Wow. And all of us have kind of been there where you know you need a reality show to really kind of. Well, that's where true love is always found. Definitely. Just look at Bret Michaels. I mean, there's countless examples of love found on Flavor Flav, thank you, New York. Oh, yeah. Classy. So Sarah Palin was on the Today Show. You know, we were playing the clips. Eddie's a big fan.
She's so awesome. You guys think she's hot. She is on the Today Show. You don't even know what her politics are. Yeah, it's killing moose. Yeah, that's one of her props, right? Pop Moose. That's awesome. She was getting interviewed by Matt Lauer on Today Show. It was a pretty long interview, so they cut it up into a couple of days, right? Well, so he's talking to her, and he starts asking her about the Katie Couric stuff. Oh, no. The Sarah Palin, the very famous Katie Couric, Sarah Palin stuff. You know, I can see Russia from my house. Cut 19.
Asked her if seeing the clips from that interview hurt her confidence. No, no, because, you know, I'm sure that some of my impatience showed through in that interview. I think it also showed, though, that certainly as a Washington outsider and as somebody not one to just, I guess, kind of play even the campaigning media game that is played in just repeating, perhaps, memorized lines in an interview. That's not me.
But you didn't think the interview was unfair. I mean, the questions were fairly straightforward, weren't they? Yeah, but, you know, questions about, well, you know, what do you read up there in Alaska? To me, that was a little bit annoying because I'm like, what do you mean, what do I read in Alaska? I read the same things that you guys read in New York and there in L.A. and in Washington State. What do you mean, what do I read up there? But anyway, just some annoyance that certainly I'm sure showed through. And, you know, perhaps that noise that showed through would have led some to be annoyed with me watching the interview. Yeah, I read the back of an Aquanet bottle on Tuesday.
It's got aqua number four, water, glycol. These are just the things I remember. I didn't take notes. Marmaduke every day. What's that dog going to get into today? I saw an interesting article in Highlights two weeks ago. My favorite. Of course I read the Judy Blume. He's just learned about my period. A lot of stuff, yeah. That's right, yeah. We do a Wisconsin accent when we do so.
It's weird. You hear it. It's like some sort of weird Alaskan Eskimo-ian. I don't think that's a weird thing. Don't you know. Yeah, don't you know. It's so weird. Anthony Kiedis is in talks with HBO about a show based on his life. Mike, you're going to be the first to watch that. Oh, absolutely. Big Chilean fan over there. Yeah, well, Anthony Kiedis wrote his autobiography back in 2004. It's called Scar Tissue, and he talks about growing up in Hollywood as a kid. And I guess his dad was a drug dealer to the stars.
And he lost his virginity at age 12 to his dad's girlfriend. Just like a crazy person about his life and growing up. So HBO thought it would make a... Be fun to reenact it. Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. Anyway. So a little less experienced. You're late on the trigger there, huh? I was older than 12. Stop it. It's 12 and a half. I was almost 16. 12 and three quarters. I was a few months shy of 16, okay? Grow up, everyone.
Yeah, like 36 months. No, no, you dummy. So Anthony Kiedis says he hopes this project will help him bond with his dad. Him and his dad, I guess, are going to be a part of this. It's not like he's going to star in it or anything, but he may narrate it and, you know, obviously, you know, be a big contributor. Hey, we got to take. Yeah, it's like, uh... This is the Mikey Show.

I was just thinking in my head. I'm getting paid for that. Sean. I really like going to the doctor's office. Boston Rob. Even though I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. And Ashley. I am a really, really, really healthy eater. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. All right, we're back broadcasting live from Qualcomm Stadium. We have some major technical difficulties out here. Hopefully you're being able to hear us right now. We've been having some major issues out here for some reason, which is weird because we broadcast from here every Sunday for the Chargers game.
So I don't know what the problem is. This is an unfortunate situation. Where's the music? Actually, you're not making it better. Positive thinking. I think Mikey is probably going to try and call in. So Rachel back there at the station, if you see the warm line or the hotline ringing, pick it up because it's probably Mikey. And we'll probably put him on the air because he's going back to the station because we're just having too many issues out here. But the paintball exhibition is still going to go down and I'm still going to shoot Rob in the face.
I'm really looking forward to you. I hope you do. You're going to eat for a space? Yeah. Where else would I eat? That's a really good idea, Eddie. I am going to use that. I am going to use that. What's up? You know how you and I are BFs? Yeah, dude. Don't you dare. You're my BFF for life, Eddie. I love you. Hey, just because she's your assistant, don't you pull this crap. I won't shoot you if you don't shoot me. Wait. Let's make a deal. But then that would mean I would only be gunning for Skye. Thank you. That's not.
And? Well, I don't. So, cool. She does not accept. That's not. So we have a deal. I don't. Okay, how about shooting Rob in the back of the head? Yeah, you take care of that. I know, but you don't really like him. Yeah, I mean, he's been mean to you on many occasions. This has been really tough, actually. Has he been supportive at all? No, you guys, actually, this has been really tough because I secretly really wish I could shoot him, and I can't because I'm on his team. Mikey, are you there? Hello? Did I hear Mike? Hello? I heard something. Hello? Can you hear us? Hey, guys, I don't think I can hear you.
I don't know that the right buttons are pressed in for me to be able to hear you. I don't even know if I'm on the air right now. Okay, well, you are on the air. Actually, tell her what the press is. Rachel, the pre's need to be punched in, the gray button and the white button. Punch them all. Hey, guys, if you're talking, hang on. Time out just a second. If you guys are talking, I just want to tell the board off back at the station in order for me to hear them. On the button that they're coming up on, there's these little buttons that say 1, 2, and 3 above those buttons. So press in the buttons that say 1, 2, and 3 above that slider where they come up, and I'll be able to hear them.
Hello? Hello, hello, hello. Hello, hello, hello. Now I can hear you. Hi. Yeah. Very cool. Yeah, how are things in your car? They are great, and I can give you a report from the 15. The 15 is moving smoothly. Oh, good. Oh, great. I was concerned. Do you think you have some time to swing by McDonald's and get me a, like a... I don't think they do McRibs this early. They don't? No, I don't. Oh, then I don't want anything.
Okay. Oh, shoot. I don't know if that's going to work. You know what's really funny about this? It's actually hysterical. Oh, no. Oh, no. Well, last night, I had dinner with our agent, Bab. Oh, that's bad. And he was telling me how, you know, nationally, the company is really stoked and really likes us and that we're getting sort of this notoriety across the country. And I said, hey, listen, I think I know why.
It's just because we're putting on really, you know, great shows and everything. So, you know, listen, no matter what, we are redefining good. That's the important part, is that we are redefining good. See, so many people think of good as good. Sometimes it's not. Sometimes it's different than that. Sometimes it can be, you know, good could be weird. I think it's Sarah Palin good. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But guilt sometimes could be, like, really, really horrible. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, which means that technically the Mikey Show is great. Okay, how are we doing? That's right. That's right. We win! Okay. Yeah! Oh, wow. That's ridiculous. As I am almost back to the radio station now, Guy can tell us about this La Mesa guy that just got sentenced to 15 years to life. In what DUI crash, Guy? What was it?
Well, this crash happened about a year ago, and, you know, the guy was under the influence of alcohol and caused a crash, which ended up killing a 75-year-old woman. And it turns out that the guy was already on parole for his fifth DUI. So, yeah, obviously they didn't, you know, there's not much leniency there, which I'm glad. Like, why is the dude driving around after he's already had five DUIs in the past? Oh, my gosh. I don't know. That's crazy. So he did a plea bargain last month for second-degree murder, and then they dropped the gross vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI charges.
But still, you know, the second-degree murder charges stood. So he was sentenced yesterday to 15 years to life in prison. That's brutal. So, Skye, talk to me about MSNBC, because this was our YouTube clip of the day yesterday. Yeah. What was the guy's name? Joe what? Scarborough. Scarborough. Yeah. Well, we heard yesterday when we played the YouTube clip of the day that there was a little bit of a slip up where he, for some reason, just decided to say the F word live on TV in the middle of their broadcast. And then he kind of tried to, like, blame it on the fact that he had taken Ambien the night before and wasn't really thinking and didn't even realize he thought he said, you know, F word instead of actually saying the word.
So now MSNBC has agreed that they need a seven second delay. Really? Really? Really? It took the F word on the air. Really? Really? Yeah, so we won't be getting any more of those good tidbits, at least from MSNBC anymore. We'll shoot. Yeah, so that's kind of a bummer for us. Dude, I don't understand why every single network in the country isn't doing that. Yeah, anybody who broadcasts live on any sort of medium needs that. It's gnarly.
And then, Eddie, I want to know about this Drew Henson story. And that's not the guy that, by the way, that's not the guy that used to do the voices for the Muppets. Oh, that's, I believe that's Jim Henson. That was Jim Henson, yeah. Jim Henson. Yeah, and he's dead my way to go. Yeah, he's no longer with us. Wow, that's really sad. Well, you know, the Lions quarterback situation is awesome, obviously, by going out and signing Dante Culpepper. So they don't need Drew Henson anymore, and they cut him. But, you know, Drew Henson was at one point supposed to be, like, the second coming of Joe Montana,
and it didn't really work out that way. He is now on the streets. He now lives on the streets. Yes, it's an unfortunate thing. Oh, that's too bad. Yes. Well, maybe he can benefit from our canned food drive today. You never know. You know, it's nice that we're doing that for him. He likes baked beans. Okay, good. Well, that is not good for him. But that's probably good for Dante Coulpepper because he's the guy there now, right? Yeah, it's him and Drew Stanton, I believe, are the two quarterbacks there.
Wow. Okay. Hey, guys, I'm back to the station. Should we take a quick break and then come back and do that? Yeah. Okay, let's take a quick break. When we come back, I'll be live in the studio, and we'll get this thing officially up and running and do this up. It's a Mikey show. It used to be my favorite genre of film. Eddie. I have a very big, real fear of throwing up. Sky. I was just thinking in my head, I'm getting paid for that. Sean. I really like going to the doctor's office. Boston Rob. Even though I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. And Ashley. I am a really, really, really healthy eater. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Hello, testing one, two, testing one, two.
Okay. I think I'm on right now. And I got to be able to, I'm trying, guys, I know you're going to hear me out there. I'm a little under the gun here because most of the stuff that I normally have here is not set up. But I know it's going to be better to run it from out here on my end right now while we're trying to fix some of these technical difficulties. So I just need a couple of minutes to be able to get that all dialed in. And so I'm going to play a song and we'll come back and we'll get it all figured out.
We'll be back after this. I want you to remember A love so full like I said, as always And I want you to surrender All of my fears arose today And I want you to remember
The power of two different academies I'll try not to complain I'm no less anticipated, baby The chemicals between us The walls of love between us The lion is fake The chemicals in this place There is no love to say The lion is fake
I want you to remember Everything you said You couldn't give it one Like a handgun Hell See my hand Can't accomplish with us The walls are by between us Lying in this bed Chemicals in place
There is no lie in place Rying in this bed Chemicals between us Chemicals between us Rying in this bed We are the hollow men We are the naked ones
We never met you home Never met you wrong And I like to say I love my lovers, lovers, lovers Lovers, lovers, lovers, lovers The chemicals between us The audio cheaters The lion is dead Chemicals displaced There is no longer safe Lion is dead
Chemicals between us Chemicals between us Chemicals I walk a lonely road The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes But it's only me and I walk along I walk this empty street On the boulevard of broken dreams Where the city sleeps And I'm the only one And I walk along I walk along, I walk along I want to live I walk up
My shadow's Only one that walks Beside me My shallow heart's The only fear that's Fading Sometimes I wish Someone up there will find me Till then I walk Alone I'm walking down the line That divides me somewhere in my mind
On the borderline Up the edge and where I walk along Reap between the lines What's left up and everything's alright Check my vital signs and know I'm still alive And I walk alone I walk alone, I walk alone I walk alone, I walk up My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating Sometimes I wish someone up there will find me Till then I walk alone I walk alone, I walk alone I walk this empty street
On the boulevard of broken dreams Where the city sleeps And I'm the only one And I walk up My shadow's the only one that walks beside me My shadow heart's the only thing that's beating Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me Feeling I walk away We'll be right back.
It's Rock 105.3, and it's a Mikey show, and it's sounding a little bit different than it normally does. It's actually sounding literally different in my headphones because I don't have my headphones right now. I'm waiting to get my headphones. But listen, stuff happens, and I've been doing this for 20 years. I've seen stuff like this happen before, and actually, I was just thinking of this to myself on my way in. I was going, right now, this seems really weird. But in about 10 years, this is going to be a great radio story.
In about 10 years, I'm going to go, you guys remember that day? In like a month, we're going to be telling this story and be like, holy cow, can you remember when blah, blah, blah? Yeah. And, you know, listen, I mean, it's a cool thing that we're doing out there. That's why, you know, we'll get this thing going one way or another. We're going to make this thing work because it's really cool what we're trying to do out there. We are going to have a paintball tournament with Sky and Eddie and Boston Rob and Ashley. Only, we're going to change things up just a little bit.
And the reason that we're going to change things up a little bit is because I need to have eyes and ears. So, Eddie is going to be my eyes and ears. And that means that Sky's new partner is going to be Zeth. What? Oh. What? Well, you know, the alternative is to have Zeth calling the action. Hey, you're mad, Skye. No way. Listen, I know. I know that it would. Listen, hey, Skye, I hate to do it at the last minute, but imagine if we had Zeth on calling the action.
I mean, I don't think that they're going to run it now. There's Rob. Red. Red. Blue. Oh, she's bleeding all over her face. Yes, blue. There's Shawnee. Now I can hear Shawnee as well. Shawnee, are you there? Oh, yeah. Oh, great. I've been playing stuff all along. There you go. There you go. I can hear you now. The audience can hear you. Very, very good. I call the action. No, I don't think that would be good. No. Nobody wants that. I don't think that would be good.
Listen. I bet that sounds like fun. Oh, yeah. It sounds like a great time, actually. It sounds like a great time. Get out to Qualcomm right now. They're in section P1 at Qualcomm. Get on out there right now if you – and please bring a canned good. Bring a canned good with you because a person that brings 10 cans is going to get a shot at these turkeys. If you bring 20 cans, you get two shots. And who are our turkeys? Zeth and Boston Rob. Dressed as turkeys.
You're a turkey. You're a turkey. You've got to see these outfits. They're hysterical. Oh, awesome. Describe what we got. Well, they're homemade as usual. Come on. Fantastic. We spent the budget of $4.27. Cannot play with them. Well, yeah. It's all brown cloth. Nice. You know, from head to toe. Nice. And they have, you know, that little turkey neck thing that turkeys have. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's got a name, doesn't it?
Yeah, I think it's the Gobbler. The Gobbler, yeah. Or something like that. I don't know. Right. But yeah, they have those attached to them. Uh-huh. And they have beaks. And they're looking real good. That is fantastic. Smells like horse. Yeah. It smells like horse. Well, if you want to see this outfit, go on out to Qualcomm right now. They're in section P1. And now, are you guys, Eddie, are you guys ready to be able to do this? No.
I mean, we've got to suit up and get our mics on and all that stuff. Okay, cool. But it will be pretty easy. I mean, we can do that pretty quickly. All right. Now, what we want you to do is it's really important for everybody to bring those canned goods down there because we really would like to raise some money and some canned goods for the San Diego Food Bank, who does a lot to feed people every day here in San Diego. In fact, we read over 19,000. And the other cool thing is that the U.S. Army is out there, and they are doing this paintball tournament while we are out at Qualcomm.
And this weekend they're going to be doing this paintball tournament, and it's going to be amazing, man. I had no idea. I'm telling you, when we got out there this morning and I looked at that obstacle course, it seriously looked like the TV show Wipeout, man. It was like a full-on gigantic obstacle course. Yeah, it's enormous, man. And so people got to go check it out. It's pretty amazing. And while you're out there, you can find out a lot of information about how to get these paintball guns and all the different companies that do that. And we actually have a couple.
It was pretty cool, man. We had servicemen out there this morning, and they were hanging out, and we're going to be talking to a couple of those guys on the air coming up here in just a little bit. So hang with us. Thank Ground Floor Paintball of North County that gave us all the paint and all that good stuff. Now, I can't wait to see if Skye has worked out any kind of a strategy. Because maybe she had with you, Eddie. Oh, yeah, I did with my old partner. Uh-oh. That's great. I got your back. Wait, what is that? She doesn't seem happy with you. Well, there's really no, there's no, you know, when faced with adversity, Skye.
When faced with adversity, what we do is we adapt. We adapt. But, I mean, you knew I didn't want to do this. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But check this out. But check this out. Little known fact about the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates, the third junior Esquire, MD, DDS, president and CEO. What a lot of people didn't know about Zeth is that he was a world paintball champion at one time. You're making that up. Three years running. Really? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Three years in a row. I didn't know that. Hey, Seth, isn't it true you were on the cover of Paintball Your Head? That magazine, Paintball Your Head?
I was on the cover of Paintball Your Head and Paintball Your Face as well. Paintball Your Face was actually the first magazine. I don't know about you, but you weren't on the cover. Well, I was juicing, so they kicked me out. I knew it. Yeah. But I was on the cover. Yeah. They started doing these, you know, random tests where they would, you know, they would test your stuff and they would find out if anything was going on. And obviously it was. Apple juicing. That was right. He was apple juicing. Which we know is illegal. That's right. You know, the really sad thing is he still apple juices even to this day. Oh, Mike, learn your lesson.
Yeah. Yeah. We see, you know, we see him come into work every day with one of those little pop tops with a little straw on the top. This isn't making me feel better. Yeah. But I think he's going to do a great job out there today. Sky, what are you, what have you got on? Describe what you're wearing. Well, I. Sexy. Yes. A little sexy. Yeah. I want my sexy paintball outfit. My good sweats. Yeah. Shut up. Well, I have my gardening shoes on. What does that even mean?
I have a pair. How is that different from any other day? Well, I have a pair of tennis shoes that I keep in the garage that I wear out in the garden because they get all, like, money and stuff. And so they're my gardening shoes. They're not my normal tennis shoes. I don't want to mess up my normal tennis shoes. Oh, my gosh. Who has gardening shoes? Who's who's a garden? Yeah. Seniors. Seniors, yeah. Tomato shoes? Yes, they're like tomato shoes. And then on the bottom, I have track suit pants. And then on top of that, I have gray sweats. And then on the top, I have a tank top.
And then over that, I have some sort of vest that the paintball people gave me. And then on top of that, I have a Filippi sweatshirt, which already has paint on it from painting the walls at home. Just so people know, Sky considers this lingerie. Just so you know. You're going to make me do this, and then you're going to insult me. The boo is ravenous right now. That's right. It's getting hot in here. So hot. So take off all your clothes. That's right. That's right, baby. I got my gardening shoes on. They don't come in the house.
That's right. Light a candle. Draw a bath. Yes, that's right. Draw me a bath. I'll be paint bialing later today, and once we start to really get into the paint bialing, it really gets crazy. Come on down, everyone. Section P2 to see me in my lingerie paintballing in just a few moments. Don't bring the kids. It's too much for their eyes. That's right. That's right. This is definitely for adults. I've got the really skimpy sweatshirt on.
Doesn't have a hood. Where's T-Rex? Come take a look at this, baby. That's right. So, Eddie, what has everybody else got on? Like, what is Ashley wearing, and what's everybody else wearing for this paintball competition? Ashley finally changed. Okay. She no longer looks like a student. Uh-huh. She's got a couple of layers of clothes on. She put on a pair of sweats that says, what, Los Gatos on it? Yeah, I don't know. Los Gatos Wildcats. Weird. I've had these forever. I don't really know whose they are.
Okay, that's really creepy. I think they're my old friend spell checks, and I've had them for like a couple years. That's a friend named Spellcheck? No, that's Sean's favorite show from the 70s. And she put on a change of shirt, just a regular T-shirt, and then a sweatshirt, like a hoodie sweatshirt over that. And I got my vest on, Mike. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah. That's fantastic. Seth is dressed like a turkey. Yes. All right, so now, Eddie, what should we do first? Should we do the actually having you guys and your teams going off against each other?
Are we going to shoot some turkeys? What should we do? Well, I would suggest we take a break. We'll get everybody suited up, and then we do the competition. That sounds good to me. Oh, my gosh. Awesome. Oh, my gosh. I'm nervous. And, by the way, if you can, by the way, tell Rob that somebody needs to run back my headphones. Yeah, they are. Okay, cool. And, Rob, does it also have the deal where I plug in my Internet and all that, the adapter and all that? Everything's in there. Okay. Everything you need is in that little box. Hey, Rob, where's my mic?
It's in the, I told Jay where it is. Okay. So he should, whenever he gets back or whoever goes back, should be grabbing it for you. All right, cool. And also, hey, Sky? Yeah? The information that I had. You want me to not participate? No, that's actually not what I was going to tell you. If you say so. That's actually not what I was going to tell you. I left a couple of papers there that had information on it, pertinent information about what we're doing today. Yeah, those will be in the box with all your other little goodies, too. Say what you will about me, but leave my teriyaki bowls out of this. They're just grilled chicken or sirloin steak on a bed of steamed rice topped with broccoli, carrots, and teriyaki sauce.
What did they do? Oh, I'll tell you. I just said I do to the love of my life. Everyone was throwing confetti and rose petals. It was perfect until my brother started throwing rice. Isn't that traditional? Not cooked rice. Oh. And not what it's in a bowl with chicken and vegetables and teriyaki sauce. Unbelievable. I know. To waste a perfectly good teriyaki bowl like that, you must be pretty special. Oh, Jack! I always cry at weddings, too. mic'd up and she is on the field. Is she really? Hey, Eddie, can you hear me? Yeah, I can hear you. Okay, cool. So, she's got her mic on. Now, is she going to be able to hear us as she's out there? Can I have two guns? Oh, gosh. Rob is mic'd up as well as you can tell. Oh, wow. I don't think they can hear us, but you'll be able to hear everything that they say when they're on the field of battle. Oh, okay. Okay, cool. Yeah. Hey, if you're just tuning in, Oh, wow. Listen to that. Thank you to the U.S. Army who kind of teamed up with us to be able to put this sucker on, man.
This thing is gigantic. They're having the World Series of paintball happening out at the queue this weekend. And, man, they have got an obstacle course like I've never seen set up out there. Yeah, it's a giant field. You know, imagine a football field. It looks like it's about that length, too. And there's just giant inflatables all over the place in different shapes and sizes. And so what they're going to be able to do, you know, one team will start at one end and the other team will start at the other end. And they'll move closer and closer and closer together by hiding behind these inflatable giant, giant inflatables and hide and duck and all that stuff until both members are hitting out. Now, when you get when you get together and the thing officially ends, what do you do?
Do you like count how many paint marks were made? No, once you're hit, you're out. Oh. So if they get hit once, they're out. Yeah. Well, we're going to have to tell Skye, avoid being hit, because if I know her, she's going to want to get hit immediately and be out. Well, I don't think she wants to get hit at all, actually. She's freaking out. Is she really? Yeah, because they gave her all the protective gear, and now they gave her a jersey to put on, and she's not happy. Oh, that is fantastic. Can I take that extra bag out there with me? This is them, I guess, they're about 25 yards away from me, getting a little bit of instruction.
There's a referee for this thing, too, Mike. Really? What's a ref dressed like? Well, the ref is dressed like a referee. Wow. And he's, I guess, going to be out there and let us know when somebody gets hit and that they're out. That is fantastic. So here's the ref if we want to hear that. Yeah, yeah, let's hear what he's saying. The paintball broke and then wipe it off. Oh, so it doesn't count unless it breaks. Yeah, it's got to be the size of a quarter on you. So if you get hit a couple times, stop and then look. And so the point of the game is to physically just hit them and have it break as many times as possible.
Just once. Just once. All you need is one. If you get hit one time. As many times as possible, it would be great. No, one and you're out. One shot and you're out. One shot and you're out? Well, if you're hit once, you're out. So make it a good one. Oh, jeez. Hello? Yeah. All right, we're live. So that was the explanation from the referee. And he also has a helmet on. The participants will be wearing helmet and other different kind of protective gear, like a chest plate and things like that. Does the actual ref, does he have like the protective stuff on too, like the chest plate, or does he just have on it?
The only thing he has on is like a face mask. Yeah. Like a hockey-style face mask almost. And what about Sky and all the rest of them? Do they have like a face, like a helmet? I think they have a full helmet. I can't see Skye. Skye wants to be dressed as a knight in shining armor. She wants to be in full armor. This is a joust, right? Yes. She didn't realize it's not a joust. Now, Mike, you know, I heard, you know, me and Skye had a pretty good strategy. Yeah.
Our strategy was we were actually going to stay back and let Ashley and Rob come to us. Uh-huh. And once that, you know, that would make them be out in the open a lot more. Right. And so I thought that was a pretty good strategy because Sky wouldn't really have to move, which he was completely afraid of. But Zeth said he nixed that idea. He's an athletic kid, and he's aggressive, and he wants to run out there and shoot. So Sky is upset with that. Now, if you're just tuning in, we are out at Qualcomm. This is live from Qualcomm.
And this weekend, you're going to be experiencing the World Series of paintball going on out at the queue. And thank you to the U.S. Army for helping us out in doing this. And so basically what we have, you go out there this morning, you watch this live, go out to Qualcomm section P1. If you bring 10 cans, you will be able to get a shot at these guys with a paintball because later on we're dressing them up as turkeys. And we're going to have them running around doing the turkey thing. But right now, they are on this gigantic obstacle course that has been set up for this paintball competition.
It looks like American Gladiators out here. That's fantastic, dude. That's fantastic. How close are they in terms of being ready to actually get underway with this paintball tournament? I don't know. Hey, guys over there, can you hear me? Sky, Rob? Don't put any paintballs in Sky's gun. Oh, wait. Am I on? Rob. Oh, geez. Rob, can you hear me? I can't hear you, but I can hear myself. I wasn't saying that. How did you just answer me? Yeah, how would he know that you said hi? Can you hear me? What are you talking about? Yeah, Eddie, I can't hear you, but anyway.
Rob, what is four plus four? Eddie, it's eight, but I can't hear you. I cannot hear you, Eddie. I can't hear anything you're saying. The answer is eight. If I stand over here, I can hear you, but once I walk away from all the speakers. Right. Anyway, how close are you to being ready? I think we're good. Skye just has to get a gun in her hand, and then we're going to go out there. An actual gun or a paintball gun? I don't want her to have any kind of gun. I just think she should just run around out there. Skye, are you going to get a gun? Shut up.
All right, Rob, when you're ready, you and Ashley go to the far side, and we'll have Skye and Zeth start at this end. Okay. And hurry up, because we're on the radio. Yes, please try to keep in mind that this is broadcast radio. Oh, that's so cool. Mike, I'll get ready here in a couple hours. Yeah, just give me a little time. Can you come back to me about 12? Do you need a gun or what? Oh, Sky, here we go. She's freaking out. Is that what she's doing? She's berating the officials.
What? Does this one actually have these in it? Sky has no gun. Let's do that! Okay. Ashley is... Oh, man. Wow. She's frothing at the pits. Oh, yeah. Disgusting. Guys got it all done, and that's okay. All the P1s are gathered around the area, and they're so fired up, ready for this. That's fantastic. Ashley, Rob, you guys go to the other end. They're going to help you if you need a thing, okay? They're not listening. Eddie, they told me to come up here. I don't know.
Why? We want two guys here and two people down here. Follow me. Okay, there's an official here, so they're telling him where exactly to go. Oh, my God, Ashley has her gun, and she's, like, aiming. Dude, Ashley's going to be good at this mic, I can tell you already. She's fired up. She is crazy. This is going to be awesome. I don't even think they gave Sky a gun. So Rob has a mic. You're going to be able to hear him on the field, and Sky has a mic, and you'll be able to hear her without a mic no matter what. Awesome. Now, they cannot hear us, though, right, Eddie? No, because they're on the field to play.
Got it. But we have speakers set up, so I think they'll be able to hear you when you talk. Rob, can you hear us? I'm going to take that as a no. Hey, can we drop these things off right now? Yes. So they're on opposite ends of the field, Mike. And Zeph and Sky, it looks like they're talking strategy on one end. And Ashley's crazy running around. Oh, I think somebody's fired. There you go. Perfect. So they're just about ready to go. The officials are kind of giving them the heads up, telling them what the rules are and all that stuff. And I think we should be ready to go.
We have different spotters placed strategically around the field that are also going to be able to help us with letting us know if somebody's hit so that they're out. Got it. So if, like, let's say Rob gets hit and Ashley will be out there by herself taking on two-on-one. Oh, wow. So it could be crazy. Or if Zeth gets hit, Skye will be out there by herself going against both Rob and Ashley. Dude, that's going to be the thing is seeing if Skye can somehow work together with Zeth. Is that even a possibility?
I don't know. I mean, it looks like they're talking straight. They're on complete opposite sides of the field. Like, you know, Skye's starting on the west end and Zeth is on the east end. So it looks like they're going to be going at each other on complete opposite ends, which is an interesting strategy. I wouldn't have done that. Oh, I can't wait to see how this is going to turn out. We're ready to go, Mike. We can give them a countdown, and we can start this thing. Yeah, let's get this thing going. Why don't we count them down from three?
All right. And we will go in three, two, one. Here we go. Oh, Sky immediately runs for cover. Zeth looks like he has no strategy whatsoever. I can hear her cowering. Zeth is already out. Zeth's done? Zeth got hit right in the face, and he is already out. Skye is out there by herself. She is cowering behind one of the little obstacles. Whoa, Skye's just firing like a mad woman. What about Ashley and Rob? They are on kind of the right side of Skye trying to flank her.
But it's not working. The sky is just firing. stop she's crazy um but but ashley and rob are hovered behind covers so she's hitting nothing oh rob almost got hit right in the face oh wow they're now they're now they're just firing at sky they're now they're about to outflank her there goes rob you can hear rob running uh rob and sky or rob and ashley are trying to outflank her but it's not working sky has now moved which is smart she's uh undercover what is she hiding behind she's hiding behind a giant you know giant cover um she kind of has to do because it's two against one zeth in the first three seconds of
the uh contest shot in the face mike that is amazing unbelievable sky you're gonna have to move you can't just stand there sky's just hiding yeah i'm kidding now she's not firing is her gun not working no did she get hit oh no i got hit sky is out so ashley and rob have won neither one of them hit. Wow! Unbelievable. Not hit one time. That's hilarious.
I'm kind of furious. I think she got it. Talk to me. Talk to me, Eddie. In the face in three seconds, Mike. Talk to me. Three seconds. Yeah. She just got hit in the face in three seconds. That is brutal. I hope that we have video so that we can like run it back in slow motion. Yeah, that is I am in shock. It was one of the worst displays of any kind of athletic ability I've ever seen by Jeff. In the face. Yeah, shoot it on. It's all on video. Hey, Eddie. You'll absolutely have it. Yeah, Mike. Let's get them over to where they can hear us and talk to them and figure out what happened out there.
Ashley, come on over here. Come on over here. You can hear me, Rob? Yeah. What did you think? What was your strategy? What happened out there? Man, our strategy was just to shoot Jeff as many times as we could. and uh he didn't last long yeah i'm gonna tell you this though rob you you realize you guys hit him in like three seconds right in the face i thought he was raising his hand to have a question because the game just started no you shot him right in the face that's so much fun i can't believe that no ashley you shot more i want to shoot more take it easy now what happened with sky how did she get hit oh sky is i'll tell you this sky is uh she is a warrior out there she was lighting up
Ashley and me. Me and Ashley tried to separate. Oh, wow. Okay, Mike, I just Sky has made her way over here to the broadcast area. Does she look happy? She also got a head shot. Oh. She was hit right in the head and there's pain in her hair. Oh! No. I think I might have got her. I think I might have hit her. I think you did Ashley. What color? Well, no, it was it was wrong. It was wrong? What color are we talking? It's orange. Orange? Bright orange and she got nailed. Sky, What happened out there after your partner... My mic works?
Your mic works. We can hear you. Zeph was eliminated in three seconds. Yeah, that was the worst. Take your mask off. Oh, wow. He said when you're on the field, you're not allowed to take it off. Okay. You can move it up. You can move it up. Well, they're called the referee. So our plan was that Zeph was going to charge for it because he's like, Oh, Sky, we got this. I'm a pro. Like, I do this. I do this all the time. I know what's up. I'm a pro, so I was going to hide. He was on the cover of Paintball Your Face. Right.
Yeah. Yeah, I was going to hide. I was going to cover Zeth because we were concerned about Rob. I was going to cover Zeth by shooting at Rob, and that's what I was doing. Like, a second and a half in, Zeth's out. I'm by myself. I'm out there by myself. She held down the fort, though. Were you having fun? Well, I think I may have violated some sort of HR codes with one of the promotions guys. Because he was trying to hold the mic, so he was standing behind me, and all I needed to do was back up, so I just kept ramming my butt into it. This is getting uncomfortable.
There may be an HR conversation after the show. Yeah. I believe that's officially called freaking. So yeah, I think that's what Skye was doing. She was freaking. What about Zeth? Where is Zeth? Let me talk to Oates. Zeth is here. He's right here. Oates, what happened to you? i got shot in the face with a paintball mike in three seconds dude i was trying you know i thought we had a good game plan obviously it sucks well you know what happened i did a good job when we started the game he was just standing there in the open i think he's like waving to me or something and me and ashley just the second you guys said go we started firing and he's like i didn't want
to take covers that nothing i was running for it but i got shot in the face that was terrible Three seconds. Dude was done. Hey, Charlie Brown, figure it out, bro. Ashley, is this your new thing? Are you pretty fired up about this? I love it so much. I want to do more. That was crap. I didn't know. Okay, Mike, I thought that the whole thing was we were just going to try to shoot each other as much as we could for like 10 minutes. Right. I didn't realize that you get one shot and you're out. Yeah. So I didn't even get a shot at Zeth, which you know that's been like my dream. Yes.
And then with Skye, you know, she got nicked, and then the game was over? Like, I'm not even covered. I didn't even get shot once. Yeah, you would have been out. I know. I'm kind of bummed. I thought we were just going to be, like, shooting more. This was awesome. That's fantastic. Hey. This was awesome. Well, wait a second. This is Ashley. I have a question. No. When will we be getting the turkey shoot underway? Well, we can do that next break if we want to. Oh, that's fantastic. Rob needs to get hit He didn't do anything out there
Dude I was dominating man I was like Rambo We could probably be like anyone Even probably professionally Question Eddie Do you know Do we have the turkey pin out there Yes it's all ready to go The turkey pin Now what does it look like Describe the turkey pin oh uh well it's a giant cage uh-huh um you know that's set up and it's i think the bars are made out of rubber uh-huh which is kind of weird yeah but uh but it's it looks like you know it's about probably i don't know what would you say the dimensions of that are maybe eight by eight
something like that and uh you know they're gonna be able they're not gonna be able to move around a lot so they're gonna get hit pretty pretty badly yeah yeah well that is going to be something to uh really enjoy listening to which is going to be coming up and if you want to take a shot at boston rob and zeth dressed as turkeys yes please then go out there right now all you need is 10 canned goods to be able to get one shot and by the way you can call us 570-1053 i'd love to hear from people that heard uh what we just did and if you got comments or whatever
Mikey Show, hello. Hi, I was calling because I wanted to say they should put B-Rob up against a professional. Oh, dude, that would be awesome. Or we could do Ashley and Rob. I mean, we have tons of pros out here. Yeah, they got the pros. I'll take anyone on, man. Yeah. You don't want to say that. You do not want to say that. I want to see this. I want to see this. Yeah, I get the feeling Ashley may be getting a little too much confidence. Can we take Seth on our team so we can have one guy to take the hits? Yes. Is that fair? Yes. That's not really fair, Rob. He just gets, you know, the first couple bullets out of the way while we set up.
You know what we could do, Mike? What? Since they're all geared up, we can do the four of them against a professional team. Dude, that'd be awesome. I think the P1s are on that. I say no. We got a whole bunch of P1s out there right now that are there to watch this. That would be fantastic, by the way. There are professional teams out here that are chomping at the bit to get to these four. Dude, that'd be awesome. This could be crazy. Yeah, we could do that if you want. I will not. I refuse. Sky, your mic's off. Sorry. I can't hear you. Damn it.
I refuse. Oh, that'd be fantastic. What do you think? Let's do it, man. Let's do it up. All right. Well, we can take a break, and then we'll come back and do that. Yeah. I mean, for no other reason, that thing just sounds awesome. When those guns are firing, it just sounds fantastic. Oh, no. She's complaining now. Of course. My hair is my identity. It's a Mikey Show broadcasting live from Qualcomm Stadium, Section P1, if you'd like to go out there and hang out with everybody. It is 7.58.
Man, Mike, this is crazy out here. These pros, they all have, like, matching jerseys. they're all fired up ready to take on it's like pros versus joes it's embarrassing dude it's a trip i didn't even know that this world really existed of professional people guys and the whole deal i didn't even know yeah big time man it is huge like they own their own guns and yeah you know own their own outfits and stuff like that it's crazy so what do we got going on out there right now okay so right now they got they got four professionals or i guess they're professionals or you know they do this a lot and uh and on the other side you have sky zeth rob and ashley who you know are clearly not professionals and uh they're going to go against each other in this uh
you know elimination challenge wow okay and so uh they've been taught a little bit i mean uh they've been taught a little bit and so i think your natural uh survival instincts take over and trying just to not get hit. So, you know, I mean, it looks like a lot of fun. If I'm shooting down the field, you're shooting kind of. See, Rob and Sky are still mic'd up, so you can hear them talking. Yeah, yeah, let's listen in and hear what kind of questions they're asking as they go through this. Let's listen. So you still got a mic.
This is the worst. Yeah, I think I got a mic. Oh, my gosh. I've never heard her complain more, and I've heard her complain a lot. Is this over yet? For 10 years. Yeah. What? I guess. What does good mean? The guy's trying to help her, and she's, like, yelling at him. Oh, what's going on? Yeah, I already did. So right now they're testing out their guns, I think, to make sure that everything works all right.
Yeah, works. like he's laughing does he realize he's going against a professional i would not be laughing dude man that sun is getting hot i hope somebody has some sunscreen here we go i knew that was gonna start so it begins seating down on my eyes hey maybe death can last longer than three seconds this time oh you never know We just got to go strong at the beginning or what? All right. I think they're set up.
They're ready to go. They're ready to go. Yeah. Okay. The pros are just like lackadaisically laughing. Oh, I know it. I know it. Like, really? Really? I wonder how long it will take for pros to take out four Joes. I will be shocked if our guys are able to get out any of the pros. I mean, we can hear you. Oh, you can? Can you be positive? Holy cow. That's fantastic. That's fantastic. I had no idea that he could hear. You guys are going to do great out there. I can't wait. Mike, they're dead.
Oh, yeah, they are. Are we ready to get this thing going? We're ready to go. You can count them down again. All right, let's do this. Let's begin our Joes versus their pros in 3, 2, 1. Here we go. And they're off. Okay. Everything's being fired at once. Rob, Seth, and Ashley are all together. Rob is out. Rob just got hit right in dead center in the face. Holy cow. Skye is just ducking again. She's not even being seen in the light of day. Rob got hit right in the face.
I didn't mean to hit you. Oh, boy. Skye just hit the ref. Ashley's cowering. But the pros are moving quickly. Ashley is cowering? I'm shocked. I know. She's nowhere to be seen. Zeph is still at the beginning of the course. I don't know what he's doing. But the pros are moving in. Sky got hit in the face. She's out. She's so stoked. She's so stoked. Ashley just got hit in the knee.
She's out. So, Eddie, who's left? Is Zeph out? She's out, too. So, everybody's out. Okay. Great job. Wow. Great job. Not one professional got hit. That sucked. That's hysterical. Oh, shit. I'll have you know that Rob, Zef, and Sky all headshots. Is it over? Really? Dude, all, like, dead center in the face. What? It's crazy. I don't even see any paint on me. Rob, it's right in the center of your skull. Oh. Dude, that seriously does make me want to watch what professionals would do against professionals. You know what I mean?
Oh, yeah. Nice job. I mean, there's strategy that goes into this. like sky strategy to hide is not really the one that i would have used we got to take a picture of rob rob got hit like dead center in the eyes i was trying to run to the other side where the other team was and tell them hey hey, I'm with you guys. Listen. And they shot me on the way over. That didn't work? No. This is hysterical, Mike. That is nuts. We've got to get Sky over here. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Let's talk to Sky. What happened, Rob? Thank you. Rob. Hold on. Oh, sorry. I don't mean to bother you. Josh, what happened? Well, me and Ashley, we're going to rush them. I don't want them even shooting at us. I wanted to rush these guys and bombard them with so many paintballs that they wouldn't even know what hit them, but they just started firing. I didn't even get one round off. I got my practice round. That's fantastic. This guy is now here. She got hit dead center in the face. What happened?
That was all luck. That was all luck. I don't even know. I was hiding behind my little bunker thing, and then there was some dude coming up through the little triangles. So I was trying, and then next thing you know, blammo, face. Wow. It was the worst. He almost got me. Yeah, there was a close one where I thought I got him. I said, whoa. Yeah. It's a girl. Hey. The professional is now placating Scott. That's great. Wow. Zeph, you got hit in the face as well. I wasn't even trying. He wasn't even trying to process. He wasn't even trying to hit Zeph.
And Ashley got hit actually right in the knee. Which had to have hurt. That was not cool. Where's your microphone? Where is her microphone? There you go. what happened actually that was crazy oh turn the microphone on she's new we still can't hear you you can't hear me hi that was crazy that was insane okay so i barely got through one boulder i'm trying to follow rob and then he's out so i'm on my own and like we had a whole strategy to cover so then i didn't know what to do and then every time i would try to move to the next boulder i saw some by the way there's no boulders yeah who was it was it you and this guy it's crazy like
all I saw was his gun, and then it shot me right in the knee. Did it hurt? It hurt so bad. Oh, wow. It hurt so bad. That's going to leave a welt. I'm sorry. It hurt so bad. No, but I, like, want to do it again. Ashley, you're awesome. I love it. It is so much fun. You would freak. It's so much fun. That's great. Wow. What a rush. That's great, dude. That's great. Hey, do we have time? Can we do a little tone-deaf right now, or do we need to take a break? What can we do?

Like you put a gorilla in there or something. And really, there is no way that these guys are going to be able to duck these shots It's because there's no real movement. They don't have any movement in there. They're basically screwed. Yeah. That is fantastic. And the gaps between the bars are like a foot. Yeah, huge. Between each bar. And the bars are rubber. They have a face mask on, but other than that, head to toe, they're dressed like turkeys. That's great, dude. You know what a Jawa looks like? Yes, I do. Star Wars, that's what they look like. That's great. That's a good description.
I just wanted to say thank you, man, because Rock 105.3 and the U.S. Army are doing a paintball tournament uh tomorrow night actually from five to seven uh on that same spider field that you guys were just doing your paintball tournament on which is going to be amazing spider by the way is one of the corporations that uh makes those actual paintball guns and you can go out there and you can play and get a bunch of cool prizes and everything from the u.s army paintball gun and an atv that's going to be cool because we're going to thank the uh the ppl for setting this whole thing up which was really cool and they're letting they said they're going to let people come out here and goof around if you want to so if you oh wow if you want to get involved in this This is your time and your chance to do it.
It's just really cool. Yeah, it's cool, man. 10 Canned Goods is going to get you a shot at our two dopey turkeys out there, B-Rob and Seth. They're dressed up as turkeys. It's going to be fantastic. So if you want to take a picture, go on out there and take a picture of it. And we'll have all this stuff on our website so you'll be able to see exactly what we're doing out there. Oh, I thought that sounds like fun. Oh, yeah, it sounds great. Mom, it is so fun. Right now, though, I think we should just get a little bit. this tone-deaf tone-deaf karaoke sounds like ashley is choking ear plugs please can you loan me she was on american idol 10 seconds and she was gone tone-deaf karaoke is on
yes they did let's keep this party going that's right Ashley's a little too happy Adrenaline This is the best Eddie, do we know what the prize is for the tone-deaf karaoke this morning? Yeah, we actually have movie passes for tonight to see the Rock 105.3 premiere of Quantum of Solace I love it Alright, let's get this ball rolling This is P1 Tracy, how are you, Tracy? I'm doing good, how about you? I'm doing good, man So you've been listening to this paintball tournament out there today? Yeah, I think I got my 10 cans
I think I've got to gather up maybe one more here, and I'm heading down. There you go, man. Very nice, very nice. Well, you know how tone-deaf works, right? Right. All right, so I'm going to play a clip, let the entire clip play, and then when it's done, just give me a title or an artist, and they've got to turn down that thing out there, guys. They got the monitor too loud out there. There we go, much better. All right, so guys, I'm going to give you this clip, Tracy, on the line. I'm going to play you here a little clip. Can they turn that monitor off down there? What?
Are you still hearing it? Yes, I'm still hearing it. So if they can somehow turn the monitor down just a little bit out there so that I'm not hearing the echo of that and the audience isn't hearing the echo of that. Perfect. That sounds great. Tracy, I am going to play you a clip. When the clip is done, all I need is title or artist for you to win. Are you ready? Sure. All right, here we go. And even as I wonder, I'm keeping you in sight. You're a candle in the window on a good dark winter's night. That's gorgeous.
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might. That's stunning. That is stunning. Tracy, I just need you to give me title or artist to win. No. Yeah, yeah. I don't either. Well, I didn't. Not your tone, Ash? Is that not your tone? Just there at the end, Mike. In the middle part, I think that was a problem. Believe it or not, Tracy, that was actually REO Speedwag.
Beautiful. That's what it was. I'm not kidding. But I have ears. I'm listening to this. And what I heard was not this. May I have this dance? May I have this dance? No, you may not. You know what I'm saying? You are so sweaty right now. Oh, great. And I can't fight the washcloth. I'm a wet washcloth right now. Wow. Ashley did not sound like Kevin Cronin, the lead singer of R.E.F. Speedwagon. That's weird. That's right.
That's weird. Let's see. Let's go to line four. P1 Jared, are you there? Yeah, Mike. How are you doing today? I'm good, dude. How are you doing? Good. All right, bro, you know how to play tone deaf, right? Yeah, let's keep this party going. All right, I'm going to give you a clip. Okay. Let this whole thing play, bro. Let the whole thing play before you tell me who you think it is. Are you ready? Ready to go. Here we go. On the races that you trail Because there's murder, murder, murder By the roadside On a sore afraid new world They tried to break us
Looks like they'll try again. Yes, get up there and get it. Yeah. Oh, that is so... Motivational. We're not... Listen to me. We're podcasting the whole show on MikeyShow.com. Download that and put it in your workout. Put it on your iPod and work out to that because that is motivational, what you just heard. You sound so funny. Oh, that's dumb. That's a good question. That is a good question.
That is a very good question. So, P1 Jared, can you give me title or artist on that? No, can't do. Didn't think so. That sounds like fun. Didn't think so. That was actually. Hold on. That was Duran Duran. Wild Boys. What? It's a truth. It's a truth. It's a truth. Because there's murder by the road. That was a deep dedication to you, Sean. Sean, you can have her play your next 80s party. You're welcome. And FYI, as she's singing right now, she's using her hand as a microphone.
Oh, yeah, Ash. Get that sucker. Go up there and get it. Okay, all right. Thank you. P1, Ben? Yep. Ben, how you doing? Pretty well. How you doing? I'm good, man. You ready to play a little tone-deaf karaoke? I'll try it. Let me ask you a question, Ben. Oh, no. When you listen to The Mikey Show and you hear tone-deaf karaoke, do you usually know what the song is she's singing? 50-50.
It's about 50-50? 50-50. Yeah, I can see how that would work. That means never. Yeah, that means he's never got it one time ever in the history of listening to The Mikey He's never got it one time. All right, we're going to give this a shot. Here we go. I'm going to give you the whole clip. Let the whole clip play. Then give me title artist to win. Here we go. So you think my singing's out of time? Yes, I do. It makes me money. And I don't know why. I don't know why anymore. Oh, no.
Oh, yeah. Hey, lady. What in the world? You are out of order, ma'am. Phenomenal. Phenomenal. Mike, how good was that? Someone help. P1 Ben. I'm on a roll. A roll? Let me think here. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Work it out, Doc. Yeah. Was it Whitesnake? It was not. Oh. It was not Whitesnake. Can you think of the song? Yeah, yeah. It's like, it's more, more, more. I know what you're talking about. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know what you're talking about.
Yeah, let me think of the name here. What are the things? Da-da-da-da-da-da. That was the big hair band. I know Missy plays it all the time. Yeah, that's true. Yeah. You can't think of the name of it? I'm trying to think of the name, man. I can't. Dude, it's Come on, Feel the Noise by Quiet Riot, bro. That's right. It makes me money. If I don't know why I don't know why anymore. I like your backup singer.
That was great. That was great. Not her tone, though. Not really her tone. No, I disagree there. You think it is. You think maybe that is mom's tone? Oh, well, my mom. Yeah, yeah. I'm not talking about me, Mike. Anyway. Will you please? We got one last contestant. Oh, goodness. Maybe we will get a winner. P1 C-Dub. How's it going, Mikey Show? Pretty good, dude. How you doing? Excellent. Awesome. Are you ready to do this? I'm going to give it a shot. All right, brother. I'm going to play you this clip.
Let the whole thing play when it's done. Give me title or artist to win. Here we go. I've told you this once before. You can't control me. If you try to take me, then you're going to break. I feel you're having nothing that you're doing for me. I'm thinking you are a fake. You are that way. Wow. Are you serious? Even she looks a little embarrassed in that one. Are you serious?
Well, then, fuck this is not me. Was that the word? Well, that is not my tongue. Did you think it was? Who did you think it was? Corn. It is not corn. That was, believe it or not, that was Godsmack. I stand alone. I'm not kidding. What? It was. Not my tongue, guys. I don't think that was a good one. It wasn't a good one. That is touch. I'm sorry. That last one was touch. Oh, geez. Can you believe that's what that was? No, it wasn't.
I'm telling you, man. I don't care what you say. It was not. That was crazy. Hey, Eddie, do I have time? Can we do a couple of news stories and stuff? Yeah, you actually, you can start the turkey shoot if you want. They're ready to go. Can we do it? All right, cool. Oh, yeah. So what does this thing look like? What does this turkey pen look like? It's a cage. It looks like a, you know, imagine a cage. It's about, I don't know, what would you say? It's got about eight feet tall. Yeah. Yeah, it's about eight by eight. And, you know, you've got Boston Rob and Zeph who are dressed as turkeys inside.
Do you see what they're doing right now? No, what are they doing? They are picking up paintballs off the ground and throwing them at each other. Like that's going to accomplish something. That's real smart. It's so dumb. Okay. They're like four years old right now. The P1s are lining up, and they're getting their guns to shoot. And there's a little, little kid who's about to shoot. I love it. Now, for people that are just tuning in right now, Eddie, one more time, describe what the turkeys look like. Well, they look like Jawas. They're in, like, cloth, brown cloth from head to toe.
So, for some reason, they have nylons on. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know what that is about. I think they forgot to shave. That's really weird. And then they have their, you know, the red turkey neck device. I don't even know what that is. The gobbler. The gobbler. The giblet. The giblet. The jiggly. I think they call it the jiggly. Yeah. Yes, that's what it is. They have that. Look it up. They have face masks on and then the, you know, their turkey hoods. I love it. Oh, they're going to get a lot of welts. Let's get this thing going, man. Let's get our first person up there.
Thank you for bringing the cans down there. We're doing this, by the way, for the San Diego Food Bank. And if you bring 10 cans, you get a shot. And we just want to say thank you to the San Diego Food Bank, man. 19,500 people per day fed by the San Diego Food Bank. So let's do this. Let's get... There it goes. Away we go. Little guy got a good shot in. Oh, get him, little guy. Can you hear him being shot? I can't. Are they hitting anybody? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Rob has a nice... Yeah, they are getting hit. Oh, no. Yeah, Rob got a nice one on the knee right there. Oh, wow. Yeah, let me grab the wireless so I can go up there. Okay. Aim for the face! Oh, okay. Ashley's saying, aim for the face. Yeah. Okay. We're getting a wireless mic in there so we can hear what's going on. How is Eddie going to be able to mic this without getting shot himself? Well, there's like a protective screen in between the kids. Okay, now they're dancing around like when someone is going to shoot at your feet and they say dance in a Western. And now they're throwing the paintballs back at the people that are shooting them.
Well, don't do that. You're going to hesitate. Hey, listen. Hey, Eddie, my biggest problem is I don't hear any turkeys. Let me hear them gobble. Tell them they should be gobbling. Hey, turkeys, gobble. Yeah, gobble. They're so stupid. They are the dumbest turkeys ever. They are getting hurt, I'm telling you. Zeph just got nailed right in the hand. Oh, that's the worst. Maybe the worst spot to get hit at. But Rob looks like he's having fun. Well, he probably is. Shoot that turkey.
He's one of those type of guys. They're dancing around. Oh, Rob just got hit right in the lowers. Yeah, get it. Tell him gobble. I want to hear some gobble. hey they are the worst turkeys of all time dude i wish i should behead these turkeys like they don't realize they're on the radio oh no is that okay oh he's not happy yeah uh i think it's worth noting that the gentleman didn't have any gentlemanly
type protective gear. Are you serious? So Zeth may not be reproducing any time soon, which is probably good. He got hit in the swimsuit area. Yeah. Good call, Sean. Zeth has been hit in the swimsuit area. Dude, they're getting nailed right now. Yeah, they're getting hit in what they call the Brazilian wax area. Oh, man. Uh-oh, looks like Zeth just got hit in the Prop 8 area. I'd vote yes on that.
Oh, my gosh. How long is the line? It's long. Dude, it's wrapped around the place. It's pretty deep. This is going to be long. Maybe we should back them up a little bit. They're far, Mike. Are they really? Yeah. These things are just crazy. Yeah, the professional paintball guys are just laughing their heads off. Rob just got nailed in the swimsuit area. Sorry, Sarissa. You didn't want little Rob. Oh, wow. I don't hear any gobbling. Listen to that deflated gobble.
Dude, that is fantastic. It's all for charity, guys. That'll make you feel better. Yes. You're only supposed to get one shot. What is going on? Eddie, be quiet, bro. Eddie. Who am I to say? One shot, 50 shots. What's the difference? Same thing. That's amazing. Hey, if you want to do this yourself, all you need to do is take 10 cans. Oh, my God.
10 cans gets you a shot. But like I'm hearing right now, people are just taking shots, man. So do yourself a favor, get 10 cans and get down to section P1 at Qualcomm. And we'll take a quick time out. When we come back, we'll be live at Qualcomm. It's a Mikey show, and it's Rock 105.3. Becomes my song

But he is Ben Roethlisberger, so I'm not that stoked about it. Well, and for the Steelers on the defensive side of the ball, they're looking pretty good. Oh, well, they're the number one defensive league, Mike. Yeah. Other than that. Other than that, what's the issue? You know what I mean? No biggie. What's anybody afraid of around here? Yeah, they'll be all good.

Take 10 cans out there and get a shot at taking a shot at our turkeys. And that is Boston Robbins. You just need a welt, Mike. Yeah, you want to talk to the turkeys? Yeah. Look at that. They have a welt. Yeah, we got a little bit of bruising. A little bit. Thank God for the tattoos because it covers up the bruises. Like purple and blue. How does it feel to be hit by a pink gun? I've never been hit by a pink gun, guys. Oh, why don't you come on down here right after the show. Me and Seth, I think we can show you. I'll show you. Is that right?
Brutal. What is it? Yeah, what's it feel like? It's like somebody snapping you with a rubber band. Oh. A giant rubber band? A giant rubber band. That doesn't sound very pleasant. For some reason, I always imagined it to be like little Eskimo kisses. That's what I always... Oh, really? For whatever reason. Like a butterfly landing on you. Butterfly kisses, yeah. That's what I always thought that it was like. Oh, my gosh. Well, yeah, get on out there and check those guys out. It's pretty cool. And it's a fun time out there. And the other thing that I wanted to let people know is that if you are into paintball, over 70 of the top leading paintball manufacturers are out there, which is great, man.
So very cool to go out there and check it out. They're going to let P1s mess around out here, too. Yeah, they said if you sign a waiver, they'll let you play around out on the paintball field. So come on down. Yeah, if you've never done it before and you've wanted to, now's your opportunity. All right. Classmates.com. Some of their users are suing over what, Skye? Okay, well, so a lawsuit has been filed, and I guess they're looking for, you know, class action status, which would, you know, allow all the users of Classmates.com to join the lawsuit. But some dude claims that basically he was a member of Classmates.com,
which is, you know, a website to try and find people from your past you went to school with, stuff like that. And that he got a message sent to him saying, if you upgrade to our premium membership for an additional $15, we'll let you know who you're, we'll like hook you up with a person from your high school who had a secret crush on you or, or we'll connect you, you know, not hook you up like a date, but we'll get you in contact, you know, so kind of putting these little teasers out there to entice you to pay the $15 to upgrade your membership. So this dude did that, and it turned out there was no one from his high school
who had a crush on him that was looking for him. Yeah, so he's, you know, saying that that's... Is he selling for his $15 back? Let's see, the lawsuit asks... No kidding. Let's see, the lawsuit asks the court to force the company to refund millions in subscription dollars and fine the company for deceptive advertising. Wow. Yeah, so this guy is not messing around. Wow, what a trip. Yeah, I didn't know. Hey, by the way, Skye, I want to tell the story, or have you tell the story, about the Christmas lights deal? Like, I haven't been through enough for today.
Oh, no. I mean, really? Poor thing. Come on. Really? Oh, boy. We were talking about this back in the office yesterday. I said, oh, we got to tell that on the air. We got to tell it on the air. Well, Eddie had brought up how his neighbor had already put up their Christmas lights, you know, not even Thanksgiving yet. And then all of a sudden, you know, without thinking, sometimes I speak without thinking. What? You? Okay, I hear you. Occasionally. And so I mentioned how, yeah, the Boo and I are in a bit of a battle over Christmas. christmas lights on our home and um i don't you mean holiday lights thank you eddie you are correct
holiday lights um so i want to put up holiday lights and the boo is claiming because we didn't put them up last year because we had just moved into the house so we were you know really busy so we didn't put any up and so i really would like to put them up this year and uh the boo is claiming that no it wastes too much energy and so we shouldn't put them up so i've been trying to negotiate like okay we won't turn any of the lights on inside the house if i can have the lights on outside the house and we still haven't found a common ground on this and uh still up in but i personally believe that the boo just doesn't want to get up on a ladder yeah all right i think
I think that it's just that the Boo doesn't want to get up on a ladder. I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so. Whatever. So we are in a bit of a battle. And, you know, he said, oh, I thought, you know, you care about saving electricity, which I do. I wonder how much, just a question, I wonder how much the Boo thinks that the electric bill might go up if you were to run the Christmas lights. Well, see, that's the thing. I don't think the lights draw that much wattage. I mean, we have the tiny little white lights. It's not like we have the big, old, clunky, old-school colored lights. Skye, though, you're not flushing your yellow.
That's right. She's letting yellow mellow. She lets yellow mellow. So you'll do that, but you want to put up Christmas lights? Well, for people that don't understand, letting yellow mellow. Everyone knows. My wife had no, when I go, hey, babe, did you know that Skye lets yellow mellow? And she's like, what is that? She had no idea. There are people listening right now that do not know what letting yellow mellow is. It means that you're conserving water and you only flush the solids. You let yellow mellow. Thank you.
And it conserves water. It conserves water. I mean, we're in a water crisis here, people. That's right. And so Eddie's saying, now, how do you let yellow mellow, but Christmas lights, holiday lights is okay. Well, you can't even compare the two because one is water. The other's electricity, so the argument doesn't even make sense. What do you mean? We're not in a situation with electricity? Yeah, you compare and compare them because they're both utilities. Okay, well, I'm willing to make concessions. I'm willing to keep all the lights off inside the house. Oh, who believes that?
So we can have the lights on outside. Hey, tis the season, huh? I want the little white lights. They don't pull that much wattage. You want what you want. They don't pull that much wattage. I will cut back on the energy inside the house so it all equals out. So we're fine. I hate to do this, but 570-1053. Now, listen, all I'm going to do is open the phone lines. That's all. I'm just going to open the phone lines. I'm not saying. For what? Just for input, just for input, whatever, you know, whatever people have on their mind. That's all.
Maybe some tips for you. Yeah. Maybe people have a way that you can do this, Sky. There's got to be a way that you can accomplish both of your needs. You can let yellow mellow and at the same time have those little white lights. We have nothing to do with each other. I mean, please. One's conservation and the other one's conservation. Oh, wait a second. I told you, I'll walk around in the dark. One I want, one I don't care about. I care about both of them. If my husband would just let us get solar panels, this wouldn't be an issue. Oh, here we go again.
I'm sorry. How many times? One is really pretty and the other keeps a little more of me around a little longer. Shut up. You are so dumb. You are so dumb. And I love the Buddha death, and I get what he's saying, but please, I need a little holiday spirit. I think he's being lazy. First of all, the guy doesn't have a 1,000-foot ladder to put it on your roof, your mansion. Oh, my mansion? Okay, maybe I can borrow your 1,000-foot ladder, okay, from your mansion. I live in a very economical... How dare you?
How dare you? That's very true. That is very lying. He's going to have to have Jack come and grow a beanstalk and then climb up to the top of it. Whatever. Well, actually, Skye, you're getting some supporters right now. Thank you. P1 Lisa agrees with Skye. Beating. Hey. Lisa. Seth, do you want to go back in the pen? Lisa, go ahead. I agree with Skye. Electricity is man-made, and we can make more electricity, but water's nature. Once it's gone, it's gone.
Ah, I see. We are much more in a water crisis than, you know, a power crisis right now. We haven't learned to make water yet. What the heck are all those scientists doing up in Capitol Hill? Oh, Rob, I mean, we have oceans of water. There's a scientist at Capitol Hill, by the way. That's where they were. I had no idea that that's where the scientists were. Yeah, it's a big hub of science. Jeez. So, Skye, what you're saying is that, you know, we desperately need water, but power is something that is not as big of a deal. Well, it's definitely an issue.
People should, you know, be, you know, they should think about it. You should never waste it. But, you know, please. What I've decided to do is urinate in the ocean. What is that going to happen? Hey, Sky, you too? Hey, Sky, I have a solution. What? Maybe they make, you know, the little white Christmas lights in those little curly bulbs. You know what I'm saying? You know, like the green bulbs. What? The compact fluorescent. I don't think they'd do that. That would be a great idea. That's not a bad idea at all.
P1 Marla. Hi, I just wanted to let you know that my dad brought us up and he said if it was yellow, it was mellow. If it was brown, flush it down. That is true. Everyone should live their life like that. Yeah, Skye definitely does. Crack it up when I heard that because I didn't think anybody, I thought we were the only family that had that. So anyway, they just wanted to call and let you know. There you go. Thank you very much. There's more than two of us. Please remember the other day you encountered it in the bathroom? Yeah, it was after you were in there.
No, I was not in there. It was not me. You tried to blame me then. P1 Chitlin is on the line. Are you there, Chitlin? Go ahead. Okay, so, Skye, you can buy lights at, can I say company names? Yeah, go ahead. So at Costco and Lowe's. I love the ham. Oh, they're the best. We sell LED lights that actually conserve wattage on all lighting. Yeah, yeah.
I think those are the lights we actually have. So like I said, they would draw a very minimum wattage. They're actually brighter. Thank you. Thank you, Ashley. They show more color and cut half the wattage down. I'm with you, Scott. If it's mellow, keep it, you know. That's right. Keep it yellow. Thank you. That is my slogan. This text message says, hey, Mikey, we should point out that Sky said they would not want to put up old colored holiday lights, which is offensive. They are African-American holiday lights.
Okay. P1 Tandy Lohenbrow. Don't you put me in. P1 Tandy Lohenbrow. Okay. Sky. You made that up. That is so rude. That is so rude. Unbelievable. No down the way. Unbelievable. Stop it. 570-1053 is our phone number. Give us a call. Mikey Show. Yeah, 570-1053 is the number if you want to give us a call. Mikey Show. It just seems very hypocritical. Yeah, go ahead. You're on the air, man. What? This is P1 Dread Kid, and I was just calling to comment on the lights with sky. Yes, please do.
You're on the air. Well, what she's saying is kind of, like, hypocritical because a lot of electricity is created by the dam. And the dams use a massive amount of water. And, by the way, to the first caller, scientists don't need to create water because water is recycled. Earth has the same amount of water. I beg the difference, sir. If scientists created water, we wouldn't have this epidemic. Epidemic. Epidemic. Yeah. Okay, you told him, Rob.
We wouldn't have this empanada. I get what you're saying. So, yeah, I mean, I think that the obvious observation here is that if somebody's conserving water, you would think that they would want to conserve electricity. I mean, especially one that has gone as far as to say that, you know, the global warming thing and Al Gore and all this stuff. And, you know, but Christmas lights, that's fine. Well, I said I would reduce the electricity use inside the home, Mike. I mean, are you not listening when I speak?
Nope. This is what I'm saying. Zach. What? Zach. You're such a jerk. Is that an option? Hey, all of you. Now, Sky, what did your husband say about that? The, you know, turning off the lights inside, which sounds very practical. He laughed at me, Mike. He just laughed at me. This is ridiculous. Yeah, well, I think maybe. Why is it ridiculous? It doesn't really sound very, you know, oh, I don't know, practical. I'd make it work. Hey, Mike. Yeah. Breaking news. 739 just has arrived. They want to cover the first Obama voter to waste energy.
Wow. Beautiful Marty Payton is going to cover this. I love it. I'm not wasting energy. I love it. How many times with all of you? P.1. Everyone, Julie, are you there? Yeah. You agree with Skye as well, right? Absolutely. Yeah. I did the same thing in the summer with the air conditioner. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that the general rule is, you know, I mean, if it affects your comfort, then definitely, you know, you should go for it. I mean, you know what I'm saying? Well, it sounds pretty shallow the way you're saying it. Wow.
So, in other words, the truth hurts. I sat down on everything else when I turned the air conditioner. I didn't use the dryer. I didn't use the... I used very few lights. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly. I mean, if it's stuff that doesn't really affect you and doesn't really bother you, then I say definitely conserve. Oh, I have my priority. Yes, Mike. I stopped using my home tanning bed. That's right. I stopped using my jacuzzi. I made some concessions. I don't have any of those things. I made sure I cut power to everything the boo uses. Yes, I don't allow Ramsey to have any lights whatsoever.
That's right. But I'll tell you one thing. I'll tell you one thing. I will never conserve on my ham barbecue. I will never, ever turn off. Or my ham smoker. That's right. Well, that would be ridiculous. Hey, at least some of us care, okay? I'm sorry. P1 Jason. If you cared, you wouldn't put the lights on. Hey, how you doing, Mikey? Yeah, I'd just like to comment on this yellow, let it, this brown flush it down. That's right. We all know what backblast is, and when you got to use the crapper, and there's all that yellow stuff in there, nobody wants that backblast. That's true.
You don't. You just flush it down. You got to. You got to. Everybody flushes. Everybody. Eventually, everybody flushes. Well, yeah, you think people go into there and not flush your disgusting waste? Oh. You're doing nothing. I am. I'm saving flushes, bro. No, people flush before they use it. Not in my house. You don't think the boo does? No. Please. Not on my watch. Whatever. Mikey Show, hello.
Hey, Mikey Show. What's up? Is this P1 Plumber? Yes, sir. What's up, dude? Hey, why don't I just put the lights on a timer? Yeah, Sky, what about that? They would 100% be on a timer. I mean, that's like a no-brainer. I'm not going to leave them on all day. Of course they'd be on a timer. By the way, a timer costs $80. Why do they got to be white lights? Why can't they be colored? Yes, Skye. Here we go. Racist. What's up? We have the little white LED lights. I don't know what to tell you.
You know, Skye, it is 2008. I think that we can have multicolored lights now, all right? Thank you. You disgust me. One more thing, guys, on the yellow, let it go. Hey, hey. Hit the button. Had to hit the button on that guy. You cannot say that. No, you can't say that, sir, you goofball. Scarborough. I know. Thank goodness MSNBC was in here yesterday to get our studio all retrofitted. Yeah, good thing. And ready to go.
Let's see. What else is going on? Oh, so Sky, speaking of... Oh, we got a break? Yeah. Okay, let's... Oh, shit. Yeah, I know it. I'm sorry. Sorry, Ashley's mom. Quick time out. It's hysterical. Zeth is already so welted up. He's got welts all over his body. Are you serious? All over his body. It's really bad. Like red, purple, blue welts. Wow. Welcome to Radio Zeth. It's 9.03. Today's the great Southern California shakeout. At 10 o'clock this morning, schools and businesses across Southern California will be holding earthquake drills. Got a little NASCAR update for you guys out here. Here we go, we're going to get a little NASCAR. DEI and Chip Ganassi Racing are going to merge in 09.
Are you serious? Yeah, all times are tough, Mike. That is one of the biggest NASCAR deals because those are two gigantic companies. Yeah, I guess it really is. They're saying it's the economy and that they're having trouble getting sponsors and stuff like that. So they're going to go down to a four-car team and it will be DEI and Chip Ganassi Racing. I don't get it. Is there something up with the economy? What's going on? Not that I've heard. I don't know. Is that like a news story that there's something going on? I mean, you know, Sky's putting up lights and all this stuff. It can't be that bad.
Yeah, I see how that works. Okay. Let's see. Huh. Well, welcome back to the show. The CMAs were, when were these things, Skye? Last night, I believe. Did you know Reese Witherspoon was like there accepting an award or something? Really? I don't know. She was there having a good time. Cut 34. Can I just say I'm having so much fun? Oh, my gosh. It's so great. I'm having just the greatest time.
Wow, thank you, Reese. Okay, well said. I'm really glad that you're having a good time. Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. No, it really does. It really, really does. Oh, that'll be fun. Hey, I was thinking about Christmas coming up. I got a two-year-old kid. My son's name is Jake. And, you know, so we're thinking about toys and everything for him right now is Thomas, that tank engine. Oh, yeah. And so I'm sure we're going to be getting him some kind of Thomas thing. But it was making me think about toys when I was a kid.
And like what the like the greatest toys to me, what the greatest toys were. Now, you guys know, I don't know a lot of toys. But I had these. I thought you got a He-Man. Eddie, don't. What are you complaining about? I remember you said you got a He-Man and it was like really cool. You really wanted it. Don't do it, Eddie. What? I don't remember. It's been a rough morning already. Oh, no. What's the deal, Mike? Oh, wow. I did. I had a He-Man toy when I was 12. It was great. It's Christmas morning. It was really awesome.
Quimby's holding up a sign that says, cry, cry, cry. Oh, no. Why would he cry? No. I don't get it, guys. Why would he cry? He got the toy he wanted. Listen. That's a great question, Eddie. You know what you're doing, bro? Mike? I enjoyed that toy. At least five, ten minutes. It was great for at least five or ten minutes. And what happened? Did it break or something? No, it didn't break. You're the worst. What's the problem here? I remember a conversation that happened then where my mom said, hey, listen, this is the last Christmas that you won't be buying presents for everyone else. But, you know, hey, listen, it was a good lesson for me to learn.
Did you have a job or something? No, not yet. I was 12, Eddie. I was only 12. Oh, gosh. Only 12. Seems a little weird. Yeah. I didn't know that, Mike. Sorry, I brought that up. You're the worst. And that is how drug trafficking began, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, my gosh. 20, Mike. No, but here's the deal. I do remember these Japanese, these plastic Japanese toys, and they were like two feet tall, about a foot taller than Rob. And what they were is these things that you had, and they were plastic. Now I know what you're saying.
And the arms came out and everything, and you pressed these buttons, and, like, the arm would fly off. Oh, dude, I had that. Yeah, dude. I don't remember. Ultraman or something like that? I don't remember what they were. They were like these... Turkeys are getting hit. Oh, they're getting shot at? Yeah, that's why everybody's... Tell them to gobble. Tell them to gobble. Gobble, you turkeys. It's for cherry. Oh, and they're being shot by professionals, so they know where they're aiming. Oh, that's great. Wow.
That's great. Death said he got hit in the nipple. Okay, I didn't need to know that. It's cool, guys. It'll be on TV. Yeah. NBC 739 is out there filming it, so you're going to see this on TV later. Oh, my gosh. Ridiculous. See, Mari, you finally made it to the big time, huh? There you go. Yeah, dude, I had that toy. Yeah, I don't remember what it was called, man. Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about, though. That's not Rock'em Sock'em Robots or something like that. Is that? No.
Embarrassment. Why am I embarrassing it? Talk it out, Sky. Well, no. Rock'em, sock'em, robot. Something like that. Isn't that what it was called? Oh, my God. I know what that was. It was Connect Four, I believe, was the name of that toy. Is it Candyland? Yes. Fine. I'm the jerk. I'm sorry. I agree. Well, it got me to thinking. Oh, set this down. Set this down. Man down. Oh, no. What happened? Oh, no. Oh, the swimsuit area, I think. Was it the swimsuit? I think we got some.
He got shot in the swimsuit? We got some swimsuit stuff going on. Come on, dude. You make $7 an hour. Let's go. Yeah, that's worth it. No, Zeth does not get benefits. Oh, that's too bad. Yeah. Hey, this guy is on the line. He knows exactly what the toy is that we were talking about. He got disconnected, but they were called. No. No, no, no. They were called Shogun Warriors. Yes. Dude, that was my favorite thing is Shogun Warriors. Yeah, I loved them.
That's cool. I wonder if we could go to eBay and find those things, the Shogun Warriors. I'm sure, yeah. Dude, those are rad. Did you ever have that football game that was, like, vibrating? Yes. It was electric football or something like that? Oh, rock and sock and football. Okay. Eddie? You know what? Yeah. It's time to close her gobbler. Close her gobbler. That's what you guys are talking about, right? Oh, my God. I just played with money. Oh, Eddie, did you need to take it there?
Hey, dude, I'm on eBay right now, and for $40, I'm seeing some of these things, man. Wow. Yeah, and it's the exact ones that I had and that you had. The Shogun Warrior thing? Yeah, dude, $40. $40, that's it? $40, that's it. Oh, dude, buy it. Yeah, for sure. Add to cart, add to cart. These are awesome. You don't add the cart on eBay. Add your cart, pay out. Amazon clothes. Did you guys hear that story about the Toy Hall of Fame and what was recently inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame? No.
Yeah, I guess there's some sort of Toy Hall of Fame. And, you know, every year they add a couple toys. And this year the stick was added to the Toy Hall of Fame. Are you serious? What do you mean? Like the pogo stick? No, just a stick. I don't get it. Like a stick from a tree kind of stick? Yeah, like a stick you'd find on the ground and then you would play with and maybe ride in the sand with or use as a magic wand. They said every child plays with that. Oh, well, what about the hairbrush? Is that...
Well, a couple of years ago... How about my finger? A couple of years ago, they inducted the cardboard box into the toy hall of fame. You can make a castle. You can, oh yeah, plastic bag. It's a great mask. You can ship stuff in it. It's really fun. That is stupid. The index finger is in the Toy Hall of Fame. Yeah, you can point at people with it. Yeah, it's so fun. You can make it into a gun and be like, you know, boom, boom. Farts. Yeah.
Eddie. Hey, seriously, my next door neighbor, Marty Hanson, that was his toy. Wow. Yes. Farts was his toy? That was, that's what he would play with. Hey, dude, we got a guy on the line. We got a guy on the line that has a Shogun Warrior. Get out of here. Dude, who's this? He went Renegade. Renegade, you have a Shogun Warrior? Yeah, the big one where the king guy, he's like three feet tall. He's got little wheels under his shoes. Dude, is there any way that you could come down to the station, and not today, but is there any way you can come down to the station and show us your Shogun Warrior?
Because honestly, I just want to play with that thing, man. Check it out. If it's okay with my kid, if it's okay with my kid, you guys can have it in the studio forever. Dude, that would rule. Oh, my God. Check it out. There's a great story behind it. This one, we actually reinforced with Stronger Springs for the missiles. Yeah. And I actually, when we were little kids, I shot my best friend's eye, and it ruined his eyesight. He's still got an eye patch right now. How old is, how old are you? I'm 36 now, but when I did it, I was like seven. No.
Okay, that's a dangerous story. And this guy, this guy's like a grown adult now. Oh, yeah. He's got the Shogun Warrior eyepatch. He's done. He has an eyepatch over his eye? Yeah, yeah. It ruined his eyesight in his left eye. Dude, do you feel bad? Oh, he's one of my best friends. Oh, no. So that's a no. Yeah, so that absolutely means like, no, dude, he's just got an eyepatch. Maybe I can have him bring it in and say, yeah, this is the little bastard who ruined my eyesight. For real, man.
Hey, uh, yeah, let's... It's worth several hundred dollars, but I don't really care about it. I mean, you guys can have it if it's okay with my kid. Yeah, I don't want to take a toy away from your kid. I just want to look at it. From the 70s. This thing's from the 70s. For real. Yeah, dude, uh, if you could bring that in sometime next week, it could be awesome. It's the greatest toy in the world besides those superheroes that are really stretchy when we were kids. Yeah, Stretch Armstrong. Yeah, they have the fish guy and then the Armstrong guy. Dude, Stretch Armstrong had some weird, gooey, like, substance inside that looked like syrup. And I know that because I cut it open.
Oh, wow. I mean, dude, everybody did. Isn't that one of the times we were a serial killer? I cut his arm open. Yeah. Sean, you cut his arm open? Yeah, I cut his arm open. I want to see what was in there. Everybody. wanted to know what was inside. I got it for Christmas and I cut it open like a month later. Yeah, dude, I wonder why they don't sell Stretch Armstrong anymore. They don't sell toys I've got anymore ever and they never will because they're toxic and they hurt kids. People cut it open and then drink it. They'll shoot somebody's eye out. Thank you.
They'll poke a hole and start sucking on it like a Coca-Cola. Oh, dude. Who didn't? Marty Hanson. Hey, dude, we would love to have you come in here next week if you can, man. Okay, I'll talk to my kid. If he's cool, then I'll just bring it in. You guys can keep it there. Right on, bro. Thanks. All right. Later. We'll see you. Hey, Mike. Yeah. I've got the audio from the Shogun Warrior commercial. Oh, please. Oh, wow. Oh, man. The Shogun Warrior. Guy King with rocket boosters. Great Mazinga with rocket launcher. Look, it's Godzilla.
Is he friend or foe? You can decide. Launch his claw. Imagine his breath is a blast of fire. The Lord Shogun Warriors and Godzilla, they're ready to strike when you are. The Shogun Warriors, Great Mazinga Guy King and Godzilla, each sold separately. Accessories not for use with smaller Shogun Warriors from Mattel. Dude, that made me feel like a kid again. Oh, that was awesome. Seriously made me feel like I was a little kid again. I can't wait to play with this thing. Dude, does anybody have an extra iPad? Because I'm obviously going to need it next week.
Dude, we should have people call us, like, if they actually still have these things. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, if you have a Stretch Armstrong, I want to hear from you. And do you guys think that you can think of, like, what should be in the Toy Hall of Fame? Because a stick is stupid. But, like, what should be in the Toy Hall of Fame? Yeah, I'm on to put that electric vibrating football game. That was my favorite thing. Yeah, yeah, dude. Eddie, there's a guy on the line. There's a guy on the line right now that knows where you can get that. P1 Nasty Nate. yo what's up mikey show yeah dude what is that thing eddie's talking about dude okay when i was
a kid i remember this it's a it's like a big metal table and you got all the players on it looks like a football field and it actually starts vibrating and when it vibrates the players move like they're playing yeah yeah they actually it's so funny you guys say this because i was shopping with my girlfriend two days ago at a marshall's in el cajon and they actually have it still but it's like it's it's done better like it's painted better it's as afc nfc it's nfl and Now, the only thing about it is, the only thing about it is, was there pretty much no strategy involved?
Like, you didn't actually participate with the game, right? You just, but this, the new one they have now has like a, on each little player, there's like a little adjustment, so you can make it so when they vibrate, the guy starts running a certain direction. There's no strategy, but it's exactly the same as the original. It's even got the little plastic guy as the quarterback that you put a little rubber football in and he either throws the football or kicks the football. Dude, that's awesome, man. I gotta have that. Marshalls and El Cajon, it's $39, and they still have them. That is cheap.
I was there two days ago. Eddie, you've got to get it if for nothing else for having a future kid and being able to introduce your son to the coolest thing ever. You know what I'm saying? For sure. P1 Polo Junkie. Hey, what's up, guys? Not too much, dude. I was just noticing that those Shogun Warriors look like those seizure robots on The Simpsons. Never seen The Simpsons. Not one episode. Never seen it in my life. I've never seen one episode of The Simpsons. Not ever.
Not once. That's the longest running sitcom ever. Why are you coherent? I mean. You're missing out, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. From what I understand, it's very popular. Yeah, dude. They look exactly alike. And guys, kids are rolling around having seizures when they're watching this stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah. that's what i heard i heard it on they.com oh wow p1 adam hey i think transformers ought to be in the hall of fame yep more than meets the eye bro yeah that's kind of a given transformers are cars that turned into monkeys right they uh oh my gosh that's it mike shouldn't be able to speak on this i was yeah i was too old already when the transformers were a big deal anybody bring up
He-Man? Oh, okay. We did, Rob. I know where you're going with that. Did I miss something? We did. Yeah. Mikey Show. Mikey Show. Who's this? This is P1 Pro. What's up, dude? One of the greatest toys I played with as a kid was the green and tan Army Men. Love that, because you burn them up, right? Of course. Oh, my God. One big green and tan molten ball. That's right. Sean, you did that, right, with your army guys?
Again, serial killer fire. Well, yeah, I did it in the living room and burnt a giant hole in the center of the apartment. And then tell everybody how you hid the hole from your mom when she came home. Well, you know, I had a Mickey Mouse stool, and so I went ahead and I put the stool over top of it, and then I leaned on it with my arm. Yeah, like, hey. Nothing to see here. Hi, Mom. Hey, Mom, what's going on? Yeah. Completely hidden. Mickey Mouse stool, by the way. Duh. And he just had to stay like that for 10 years. Yeah, not a problem.
Yeah, did anybody say Cabbage Patch Kids yet? No, but that's up to sure. My Little Pony. My Little Pony, Barbie, Cabbage Patch, and my buddy. You know what I'll put in the Toy Hall of Fame? Those ovens that baked with a light bulb. Easy bake. Those are good. Make some good brownies with that. That's what I'm talking about. P1 Brandon. Any Star Wars figure is there? Nothing, dude. What should be in the Toy Hall of Fame? Voltron. What is that? Yeah, there you go. What's Voltron?
I love Voltron. They were the lions that they, five different lions that connected to each other and you can build them into a big, big, big, like, not really a monster, but like a Voltron. It was one lion would be the leg, one lion would be the other leg, two lions would be an arm and then the head. Do you remember Voltron? I do, dude. I do. Oh, man, I'm sure you do, eh? You got to. Yeah, didn't they have a cartoon about it, too? Yeah, they did actually have a cartoon for a while. Awesome. Right on. Now, P1, Sarah, are you there? Yeah. Hi, Sarah.
Hi, how are you? What do you think? Wait a minute. Ashley's mom wants to say hello to you. Hi, Sarah. There we go. That's awesome. Hi. Hi, Sarah. Okay, so also it's like an old school toy, so maybe you'll remember it. It's Thundercats. Big reaction out at Qualcomm to Thundercats. I love Thundercats. I think that that is probably one of the most amazing toys, and it had a cartoon. Panthero, Lion-O. Give me a break.
There they are. That's the Thundercats. There it is. How did he have it so quick? Sean, is this your ringtone? P1 Mike is on the line. Oh, hello, Sean speaking. Mike, what's up? Morning. Morning. I don't know if you guys remember, there was a Chuck Norris action figure, and it had a red Corvette. Are you serious? Yeah, the Chuck Norris action figure is a red Corvette, and it had, like, sword blades that would come out of the side.
Yeah. If you press the steering wheel, and then, like, the trunk had a little wing, and you could extend the wing and put ninja stars in there and just start flinging them. Man, you guys had cool toys when you were kids. Do you guys have good suggestions for the P1, or for the Toy Hall of Fame? I'm like, yeah, you know, do you guys have Tupperware? Tupperware. Matches. Yeah, you remember playing with that? Remember mud? Yeah, that was fun. You guys remember mud? That was really fun. Hey, guys, what about, like, dead leaves?
You guys remember that? And the whole idea was... I don't want to do tan bark. Yeah. You would hide under it. It was fun. That's crazy. Let's see. P1 A-O is on the line. A-O. Yo, what's happening? What's up, dude? Hey, man, I got a couple suggestions right quick. I haven't heard nobody say nothing about Crossfire, G.I. Joe, or Tecmo Super Bowl. I mean, what's good? I do not know any of this. This is from my era.
I'm 25, and I'm trying to help out my era, man. Come on. Hold up. Wait a minute. Hold up. First of all, all G.I. Joe figures were awesome. I've played with those quite a bit. Tecmo Super Bowl was the best video game of all time. Never. Of all time. Okay. And what was the other thing you said? Crossfire. I don't know what that is. Crossfire. What is it? What is it? Little barbarians at each other. There was a good guy, and there was a bad guy. Well, bad kid and a good kid in the commercial. You know, they're shooting balls at each other, trying to make it into the other one's little area. And then, you know, they had the whole, the commercial was the thing to set it off.
Yeah, yeah. And he just did tutti-frutti hands, Mike. We got a break too, Mike. What about 9mm Beretta? Do you guys remember that? I remember playing with that when I was a child. I love scissors. Yes. One to run with. Yeah. Play tag with him. Okay, no one ever did that. You guys didn't do that? No. Catch. Hey, take a... No, it's Coldplay. I love this. I love this Coldplay song. A superstar.

representing the U.S. Army Recruiting Command here in San Diego. There are over 150 jobs in the Army based on everybody's individual qualifications. Based on the actual, based on the variety of people coming to the national professional paintball event this weekend here at the Q, I'm here to promote the Special Forces, the U.S. Army Rangers, Officer Candidate School, and the Warrant Officer School. This very well may be of great interest to the attendees and the participants the next couple of days. I would like to also point out that the U.S. Army Reserves, a part-time job, would be a great alternative to those attending college,
already have a full-time job, or they just don't want to leave San Diego, but they would like to serve. If you like the competition of paintballing and the adrenaline rush that it gives while hiding behind plastic barriers, check yourself and see if you have what it takes. You'll be trained by the best the Army has to offer. Don't be scared to talk it up with the U.S. Army recruiters. They won't shoot you with the paintball gun in the swimsuit area. That's right. But they will give you a lot of information. So if you want to get some information about the U.S. Army, come on down here. Check us out at our booths or log on to GoArmy.com.
Very, very cool, man. That's very cool. Well, yeah, man, I appreciate it. And thank you for going on out there, for doing this thing out there. And if listeners want to go down, it's Section P1, of course, at Qualcomm. We also have Scott from the PPL that has a special presentation for Ashley and Rob, the victors today. No way. What do we got? Oh, my gosh. What? What is that, Scott?
Well, I want to thank everybody at Rock 105 for turning out and supporting the NPPL. And I saw you guys out there. You did a great job. Especially me, huh? I was really good. I was really good. I want to present you guys with a spider gun from Spider. Oh, no. Shut up. To see if I can get you guys as hooked as you need to be on paintball. Shut up. That is cool. They got their own paintball guns. Now you guys should be shooting this stuff willy-nilly. You need to, like, no.
Only when people wear protective gear. Can we bring these to work or whatever? No, you do not. I just keep this under the front seat, right? There is a giant red plug in the front. Yeah, I take that right out. Okay, no wrong. Be responsible. No, no, no, I am. Don't take that into a bank or a courthouse. None of that. This is rad. Oh, gosh. Ashley is, like, power hungry right now. That is so awesome. Well, if you guys want to come out again, we'll be here right through the weekend. Weather's supposed to be fabulous.
We'll have you guys out. Shoot it up some more. Oh, my gosh. Invite everybody to come down and play paintball. That is so cool, man. That's really awesome. That is so cool. Hey, thank you for doing that. Are you loving it, Ash? Dude, Mike, I got a gun. Oh, okay. This was a bad idea. I don't know that this was a good idea. This is exactly what me and her needed. No. Oh, boy. So we'll play down in PB. No. And anything goes. We're going to play with our guns this weekend. Yeah. Rob's like, finally, I have something to eBay. I can buy a turkey. So if you want to come down, we'll help you out down there.
Oh, wow. That is awesome. Thank you so much. That is so rad. Thank you. Yay. Very cool, man. This is scary. Mike, this is scary. I'm telling you. Thanks for having us, guys. Hey, thanks a lot, man. We appreciate it. We appreciate it. Everything you represent is a good man. Very cool, man. Ashley is now armed. Yes. Rad. Oh, my gosh. What a day. Let's see. Let's go over some of these headlines that we have that we haven't got to get to. Oh, yeah, like the one you talked about right before. Remember about the A-list star getting a new show?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's going to be on CBS. He's getting his own weekly variety show. Skye, who is it? John Mayer. Get out of here. Yeah, and they say it's going to be like a music variety sketch show kind of based on the kind of shows they used to have back in the 60s. So CBS says they hope to have the show on the air for the first part of next year, of 2009. So that is definitely interesting. Really? Yeah, I don't see that at all, but okay, we'll see how it works out. What a trip, man.
Yeah. And it looks like George Takai is giving his own show as well, the reality show. Yeah, George Takai has signed up to take part in the reality show, I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here. Now, yeah, this is where they like drop celebrities in the middle. No, Sky, it's actually called, I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of the Closet. That's actually the real show. They're way out of the park. Yeah, they're actually out of the closet.
Sorry, my... In the backyard, you're so far out. Yes. My voice is very effeminate. I'm sorry if I... But it's just that this is just the way I speak. That's all. Wow. I know a lot of people hear my voice and they say, Boy, why do you sound like a girl? And I say, Listen, I can't help the way that I speak, okay? Why don't you give me a break over here? Okay. Yes. Yeah, so he will be dropped in the middle of the jungle in Australia and kind of survivor style. They got to fend for themselves.
Actually, the jungle is a nightclub. Well, then that's a whole different thing. Yes, that's the name of the club, the jungle. The jungle. What goes on in there? Well, things that are things on roller skates. Thank you very much. All right. That kind of sounds fun then. Dr. Phil's rep said something really weird. Skye? Dr. Phil, yuck. Well, okay, so we all remember the Britney shenanigans when Britney kind of had her little mental breakdown and Dr. Phil was all up in there doing special counseling for her and then talking about it to the press.
Right. Well, so Dr. Phil people were asked if he would ever think about stepping in and trying to help Amy Winehouse. Oh, boy. Okay. And then the rep had the strangest answer. The quote was, Dr. Phil does not do one-on-one counseling. Well, yes, he does. Thank you. Thank you. So as he says, then he doesn't have any. He has a show where he does one-on-one counseling. Yeah. Runs every day. Maybe his rep should tune in every one.
Ellen's competition. Right. So he says he has no plans currently to help out Evie Winehouse. Oh, boy. The guy's out of his mind. Gosh, get over yourself. And, hey, Skye, what show is Diddy going to be doing a couple of episodes on? Diddy will be doing two episodes on CSI in Miami, I believe. Really? Are you sure? Yeah, just what we need. A little more Diddy out there. I'm black and I'm proud. Oh, yes.
I heard he was doing according to Jim. I heard that, too. I don't know what you're talking about. He has some self-esteem problems, so it's probably good for him to, you know, get some more attention. But, yeah, two episodes of CSI Miami, so look out for that. I bet that acting job is going to be superb. Do you think so? Really good? Angelina Jolie says that filming The Changeling inspired her to have more kids. Doesn't she already have, like, 13? I want more kids!
That's a clip. Angelina, so what are you trying to say? I need more sons. You need more sons? I need more sons? You need more sons? Okay. I can't find my son. Where is he? Why do you want more if you can't find the one that you have? Mike, she keeps losing him. That's why. That's the problem. That's a missing star. Wow.
That's Angelina Jolie, ladies and gentlemen. Stop the line. That was exactly the line. You've crossed the line. Yeah, but she says she thinks the reason she got pregnant with the twins is because she got pregnant with the twins right in the middle of filming that movie, and she said it was partially because she was so emotional about children because of getting into that character that it made her want to have more babies. And that you had sex. Oh. Yeah, yeah. That's wild that way. Not confirmed, though. That hasn't been confirmed. Yes, none of this has been confirmed. We've got to take a quick time out
and we'll be back in just a second. We are broadcasting live from Section P1 at Qualcomm Stadium. Hey, get the P1s to make some noise out there, man. Let's hear them. Back after this. This is the Mikey Show. Wow. If he says one more cool thing, he's in. This is the rock. If you're in the market for a new car, consider BMW Encinitas. Welcome back, folks, broadcasting live from the National Professional Paintball League World Series in paintball at Qualcomm right now, section P1. A bunch of P1s hanging out there and everything, having a good time. And people bringing out canned goods to donate to the San Diego Food Bank. So thank you to them. That's very cool. And I just want to let people know that Rock 105.3 and the U.S. Army are going to be doing a paintball tournament tomorrow night from 5 to 7 on the Spider Field, which is very cool. So, very good.
Welcome back to the Mikey Shoe. Let's see. A couple of things. Oh, hi. Hi. Hi. A couple of things that I did not get to mention. I did not mention that Jennifer Aniston is supposed to be on Oprah today. Oh, my God. That's always a good time. That's right. That's right. They haven't, like, released any of the audio or anything yet, at least that I saw. But they do say that Oprah is going to ask her about her comments that she made in Vogue magazine about Angelina Jolie being uncool regarding her marriage with Brad. I'm glad you said that.
Thank you for saying that. Wow. So we'll see if Oprah gets anything out of her today. That will be later today. By the way, thank you to everybody that participated, especially you P1s, for going on out there today. Very, very cool. So, yeah, I just want to say thanks to all. And everybody from our promotions department, our engineering department. And definitely thank you to the U.S. Army. And thank you to the San Diego Food Bank for doing everything that they're doing to help feed people here in San Diego County. Awesome.
And also thank you to 739. Came out there and we're interviewing and taping. And you'll see that on TV later tonight on NBC 739. And, yeah, I just want to say thanks. 570-1053. That's right. And thank you to you guys. Thank you to the Mikey Show and Sky and Eddie and Ashley and Rob and Zeth and all you guys who covered out there and kept the ball rolling from out at Qualcomm. Thank you for, yeah, just stepping up while I was running back here to the radio station.
So give us a call. 570-1053 is our phone number. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show. And, yeah, whatever you want to do, just give us a call right now. Tomorrow. What do we got going on the show tomorrow? Oh, you know what? The top chef, judge, and a new Food Network star, Ted Allen, is going to come into the studio. Yes! No! In the studio? Yeah. A new season started last night. Yeah. Okay. And he's going to bring on some different wines and food. Yes!
Mike, you need to be careful. Peanut Noir? Mike, just one day. What are you saying? I don't want to eat too much? No, no, no. I mean, he's going to be having some of the vino. All right. Well, then only one glass. Just one glass. Just one glass, obviously. One glass doesn't count. And, yeah, he's going to be at the San Diego Wine and Food Festival, and he's going to have all kinds of stuff for us. Oh, I'm going to tell him about my hobo creations. Oh, no. I beg your pardon? What? We'll talk after. Yeah, don't do that. Mikey Show, hello. Oh, my goodness. Mikey Show, hello. Good morning, Cubby.
How are you? Oh, fantastic, Instigator. How are you? Love it. No, this is Peele and what's hampooning? Oh, what's hampooning? What's up? Hey, I got a fantasy football and a UFC question for Eddie. Aye. So the fantasy football question. I'm thinking about starting Rivers over Cutler. What does he think about that? Not sure. This is the week that you want to do something like that. Cutler, you know, has been as crappy as the Broncos are. He's a fantasy stud. Rivers going against the number one defense in the Steelers. I don't know that you want to do that.
I would stick with Cutler. All right, that sounds like a plan. As far as the UFC question, do you think it's a little early to be giving Brock Lesnar a title shot? Well, you know, I mean, I think the UFC is making this pairing because everybody wants to see it. You know, they're planning on having a million buys, breaking all records, and it's going to be outrageous. It's the biggest fight in their history. So, you know, does he really deserve a title shot? Probably not, but I don't think they're really looking at it from that kind of a standpoint. I think they're just like, let's make some money, money, money. Money, money, money.
Now you go, Sky. There you go. 570-1053. Our phone number is 570-1053. And at the beginning and end of every show, we do open phones. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey, good show today, guys. Thank you, brother. Awesome job, bud. Just one complaint. Miss Ham, a.k.a. Sky Mama, was being a drama queen all day long, man. So we need to play a song for her, you know, to try to end it. What song? Like Sky Mama did great.
You know what song it is? Drama Queen. Okay, we don't know that anymore. Drama Queen. We deleted it. It's no longer in the system. You were very dramatic out there. I didn't want to do it. I was a volunteer for something. All day long, all day long. I wasn't allowed to have a voice, and it was upsetting. I wasn't allowed to have a voice. I wasn't. Trust me, you have a voice. We hear it. Well, it obviously doesn't count for much, okay? Fine, I'm a drama queen, I'm a drama mama. I'm going to go check myself into the ER right now. That's fantastic. Mikey Show, hello. Mikey Show.
Mikey Show, hello. Mikey Shell, last call. Bring us home. Hello. Mikey Shell, last call. Bring us home. Yeah, I think we should take Sky's voice away from her. Back in the kitchen, woman. Oh! all the P1s who came out to support us. Got a close hand. Thank you so much. And just thank you to everybody that was a part of this broadcast today. We will see you again tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show is out. We'll be right back. Thank you.
We'll be right back.
