It is 6-0-4. We have a big storm moving into town this morning. It's expected to drop lots of rain and some snow in the mountains. Staying alive, the Chargers keep their slim playoff hopes alive after scoring 12 points in the final two minutes to get a 22-21 win over the Chiefs. Norv Turner, you've got to be ecstatic this morning. Obviously, it took us forever to get going offensively, but we've got a group of guys that are a confident group, and they just kept fighting. Felt we could find a way to win the game, and we made a bunch of plays there in the last 10 minutes to go find a way to win. Oh, man. Well, you know, listen. So I'm watching the game, right? And here it is. It's the end of the game, and the announcers are talking about, you know, they've got to win this game if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive, and if they lose this game, it's all over, blah, blah, blah. And so I'm watching it, and... And, you know, they get down there and they screw it all up. And, you know, they don't make a touchdown. And so the announcers are like, you know, that's it for the Chargers. They'll try this onside kick, but, you know, it looks like their hopes are all but dashed. And I'm shaking my head and I'm just like, this team is terrible, you know? And so they go for this onside kick, right? And they get this onside kick and I laugh. I just start laughing.
You know, like, oh, my goodness. Are you kidding me? Are they going to keep the San Diego Charger fans now? Are they going to put them on the edge of their seat? Are they going to put them on the edge of their seat? And, like, you know, what's going to happen here? And they throw the ball to LT. And sure-handed LT drops this ball. And I'm like, here it is. You know, typical Chargers. They're going to have the chance. You're going to get down there. But then, no, it's not going to happen. And then they go on and they win this game. And I go, like I've said this before about the Chargers. I said, man, I never can quite figure out their personality. Like, who are they? Like, are they this? I guess they're this come-from-behind guys, or they have to be put up against the wall, or whatever. Like, I can't quite figure them out. I'm telling my wife this, I go, all I know is, man, I don't know if I would want my kids to play with them, because they're kind of weird. I don't know any of this. You know? I just, you know, I don't know what their personality is, but I know they're unpredictable, and I don't know what's up with them, you know? They are who we thought they were! Weird. They're strange, but they figured it out in the end, and won.
I want winners. Dude, what an oddball end of that game. Listen, I win. Very improbable, but give them credit. They figured it out. They got it done. Eddie, did you see it? Well, I saw most of it, Mike. What do you mean you saw most of it? Well, I had to DVR the game because we were flying. You can't afford TiVo. Oh, yeah. It's way too expensive. First and foremost. Because we were flying. And so when I got home, I watched the game from the beginning. Frustrating. And got to the game winning score. Or game. No, I'm sorry. Where they scored the touchdown late. Right before they were going to go for the two point conversion. Right before the onside kick. And the TiVo was done. It was over. Are you kidding me? No. No. Are you kidding me? I hate it. I even thought to myself when I was at the recorder to add 15 minutes to it because, you know, games usually will run a little long. Yeah. And still wasn't enough. Stopped the recording right after they scored the Malcolm Floyd touchdown. Dude. So I didn't get to see the onside kick. I didn't get to see the game-winning touchdown. That's awful. That's great. That's awful.
I think to myself, why can't they figure out when you record something, it records until it ends? That program. Not a minute too early, not a minute too late. Record it until it's over. We've got probes that will leave the universe. But we cannot figure out how to tape a program if it runs long. You have direct, right? What I don't understand is... A company like Direct, who has, like, the NFL, right? I mean, that's where you go for NFL. Right. The NFL package. They can't figure it out? No. Like, that's their specialty, dude. I know. You're all about the NFL, guys. Yeah. You have the NFL Sunday ticket. Yeah. This doesn't have that. Yeah. And you offer a recorder. Can you please make it so that I can record the game? Right. Yes. The game. I want to see it. Some people get you only because of that package. Yeah. Dude, it's the only reason I have them. Yeah. Only reason I have them is so I could have that NFL Sunday ticket and see that. I was playing my first playoff game in fantasy football. Okay. Wow. It was. Oh, my God. A popsicle stick. Wow. Even she has a... Oh, man. Maybe that was a little loud and abrupt, wasn't it? Maybe that was a little loud and abrupt. But I...
I'm ahead by 10 points, and my opponent has Bryant Westbrook left tonight. So bye-bye, and we'll see you later. It was fun, and I really had a great time playing fantasy football. It was a lot of fun. It really was great to be in the playoffs. Giving up already, huh? Well, no, maybe Bryant Westbrook will forget where the stadium is. He's injury prone. He's injury prone. He could go down. Hope for a broken leg or something. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. We'll see, man. We'll see. We have a lot of stories from that Las Vegas. We got a lot of stories. I can't wait. Most of them start with the word Zeth. Right? A lot of those stories.
I didn't mean for it to be that way. No. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Things happen. Yep. Seven people on the Mikey Show. Myself, Eddie, our producer and sports guy. Sky, she's our news girl. Shawnee, oh boy, plays our sound effects. Ashley is our assistant producer. Boston Rob is our everything guy. And the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates, the third junior Esquire MD DDS. President and CEO is that guy over there screening phone calls for you. 570-1053 is the phone number if you want to call us. And, yeah, we went to Las Vegas and had a blast at the Palms. Great place, man. It was. We broadcasted live from the Palms Casino on Friday morning, and then we stayed there Friday night and Saturday night. We went and saw the big UFC bout. Which was really cool. That must have been awesome. It was great. And then this Zeph. Let me tell you about Zeph. Well, we left Las Vegas yesterday morning. Our flight leaves at 10.15. And so most of us left the hotel somewhere around anywhere from 8.15 to 8.30. We left.
It was my wife and I and Ashley in a cab going back. Rob and his fiance, Eddie and his wife, you guys are going. And Sky, you in the hub, you guys went separately too. And so we're all on our way back to the airport. And Ashley goes, did you talk to Zeth? Is he good to go for this getting back? And it suddenly dawns on me, I didn't. But, you know, he's a grown man. I know he's got his stuff figured out. He's good for it. Yeah, he's good for it. I'm thinking, who knows? He may even beat us there. Well, we had talked about it the day before and said, you know, Rob and Sarissa were going to come with us. And I said, well, we can maybe try and fit five if you want to come with us. And he's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, that sounds cool. I said, all right, we'll meet us down there about 8.15. So about 8 o'clock, I just had a weird feeling. And I'm like, well. Let me text Rob and Zeth and just make sure everybody's still on board. And Rob wrote me right back. He's like, yeah, dude, we'll be there. You know, no problem. And I didn't hear from Zeth. Right. And so, you know, I was like, okay, well, we'll see. Flight leaves 1015. And so I text Zeth when Ashley asked me that. I text Zeth and I say something to the effect of, hey, where are you or something like that.
Don't hear back from him. Oh, come on, Charlie Brown. I know it. He's like Charlie Brown. And so get to the airport and meet up with everybody. Everybody's at the gate. And so the entire Mikey show, our spouses, everybody were sitting there at the gate. And I say to Eddie, have you heard from our boy Charlie Brown? Eddie shakes his head. Nope. Good grief. And Eddie goes, I've texted him. I've called him. I said, really? And he'd go, no pickup. Nope. No answer. And Ashley, you know, we've been talking about this this whole time. Ashley says to me at this point, this is right before 930. She goes, well, yeah, he's throwing up blood last night. I go, what? I ate some last night, and he said he was throwing up blood, and then he went to bed. Okay, okay, good. Okay, he's dead. Oh, yeah, okay, great. Oh, perfect. So, about 9.20, I, again, flight leaves 10.15. About 9.20, I call the Palms Casino, and I say, yes, room Zethi and Oates, please. And
And the phone rings and rings and rings, and then an answering machine comes on and says, we're sorry, the guest in this room is not answering. So I get transferred to security. And I say, yes, and I say to security, hey, listen, we have this young man in our party, and we are leaving in 45 minutes, and he is supposed to be here at the airport with us, and he isn't, and we're a little worried about him. Someone in our party just informed us he was throwing up blood. Oh. Gross. Crazy. And so, you know. Time to bring it up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. And so, they say, yeah, great. We'll send someone up there. And a very, like, you know, I could hear in the guy's voice, like, uh-huh, yeah. Fat chance. Fat chance. Okay. We'll get there eventually. Yeah, I was talking to Eddie about it. Eddie says they probably get this all the time, you know. It's Vegas. Hello. There's probably like 50 dead people in there already. Why are they going to run for one more? Oh, God. So we hang up. We hang up and we're sitting there and I go, so if we can't get a hold of him, we're leaving, right? And I'm like, yeah, you know, because we figure, I don't know if he's drunk, if he's, who knows? Well, yeah, I knew for a fact he had been partying. Oh, yeah.
The night before. So chances were he was just passed out and not awake enough to answer the phone or anything like that. But the blood, the throwing up the blood thing, really threw a little hitch in the plan and we're like, holy crap. Now, it's Zeth, and so... I'm wondering to myself, does he mean blood or does he mean Captain Morgan? Throwing up Bloody Mary. Yes. And so at 9.30, I go, at 9.30, they're about to board us. And at 9.30, I say, I'm going to try him one more time. And so I call. And this time, this time he picks up. And I can hear in the background stuff. Like, I can hear him picking stuff up and putting it into a duffel bag. Like, I can hear that, you know? Oh, wow. And I go, what's going on? He goes, I slept through my alarm and getting my stuff together. So, I mean, obviously a state of panic and, you know, freaking out, right? Right, right. No, no, no. Oh. I'm getting my stuff together right now. Wait, that doesn't sound. I slept through the alarm.
plane is about to take off. And so I say, all right, well, you know, we're just glad to hear that you're alive. And so we hang up, get in line, they board us, we get into the airplane and I sit down, read a little bit on the tarmac and fall asleep. Yeah. And Eddie had a great call as we were like getting onto the plane about what this resembled. It reminded me of The Amazing Race. Yes. Where, you know, you're fully expecting there's no way, you know, such and such team is going to make this flight. Not possible. And we're going to win and blah, blah, blah. And lo and behold, just like in The Amazing Race. You've got to be kidding. We lose. We land in San Diego, and I'm sitting in the, I'm standing up in the luggage carousel area waiting for the luggage. And I think it was Ashley. She goes, You know, here comes Zeth. And I go, Zeth? Zeth who? Oh, so you were asleep. Oh, yeah. Oh, because when he got on the plane, all of us started applauding and screaming. You know how when you're on a Southwest flight, stuff is, especially a Southwest flight leaving Las Vegas. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. You know, it's just stuff going on. Yeah, we caused a scene when we boarded that plane.
And it was something else. It was quite a sight. Tell me. Well, not only does he look like a drunken dead guy. Oh, literally. sweating profusely because he ran like the length of the airport to get. He put my sweat to shame, Mike. And Ashley sweats a lot. He was sweating blood. So he made it from the Palms Casino from a state of wake up at 9.30am a state of wake up to getting on that aircraft that left at 10.15. How did you do that, Seth? As soon as I woke up, I had like a half of an eye open feeling terrible that I had a big night the night before. Yeah. So you had called me and I had just woken up maybe a minute before that. And so I started throwing everything in the bag. And security starts knocking on the door while I'm talking to you on the phone. They did go up there. Yeah, they did go up there. Wow.
He's just like, yeah, somebody called us. They wanted us to make sure you weren't dead. Yeah, great. They're like, you're supposed to be at the airport in like 45 minutes. I'm like, hey, thanks, man. So I just pack everything up. I try to do the TV checkout, and it didn't work. So I just throw everything in the bag, and I leave. I didn't even check out. Oh, wow. Yeah. I run straight down to the cab, and I tell the guy who's getting the cabs ready, I'm like, I need to be at the airport quick. He's going, okay, no problem. I get the cab. And this guy is driving 15 miles an hour. That's the amazing rate. That is the amazing rate. I'm like, please go faster. Please go faster. And I was telling him, I was like, dude, I really have to get to the airport. I have to catch this flight. Is there any way you can go any faster? He goes, what time do you have to be there? I'm like, like 35 minutes. Oh, you'll make it. No problem. I'm like, no, dude. You don't understand right now. Yeah. What time do you have to be there? An hour ago. You were supposed to be there an hour ago. So he's just taking his sweet time. We finally get there. And I just basically throw money at him. I was like, I got to go. I got to get out of here. Where do I go? He's like, just go right through that door. I go through the door and I ask some woman inside it, the baggage claim, like, hey, where do I go? I don't know what gate to go to. She says, okay, go this way, you know, and then take the right. Eddie, it'll be at the end. That's exactly what happened to me and Rob. Really?
Cab drivers in Vegas, they don't want to sit in the line at the drop-off, like curbside, because there's a lot of taxis that are going through there, and they get stuck in traffic, and they don't want to do that. So our cab driver dropped us off at the same spot that Zez is talking about, which is the wrong spot. That's where you leave, right? That's where you leave. And so you walk in. He's like, yeah, you just crossed that bridge right there, and it's right there, man. No problem. And I'm like, what? That doesn't seem right. Like, I don't see. The check-in, like, and when you walk in, you're right where you get your bags. You're at baggage claim. Right. And so that's not where you check in. Right. And so you've got to go all the way up and all the way around to get to your spot. So that probably added, like, a ton of time for Zeth. So, Zeth, what happened? Okay, so I go and I do it. You know, she told me what Eddie was talking about. And I get over there and the gates split. A and B is one direction and C is in the other. I go all the way down to A. No, you did not. Before I realized that our flight is at C. And the end of C, by the way. How did you figure it out? Well, I get down there and I look at, there's the screen. This is where the flight's the part. And I see it, I was like, oh, no. So what do you do? I book. You ran. And by the way, he's wearing dress shoes. He's wearing jeans and dress shoes.
He probably got in bed with them on. Passed out. Yes. He probably got in bed with jeans and dress shoes. And it's so crazy to hear that he said he ran, like, the entire airport. Like, I have never seen Zeth even fast-paced walk. I know. I never have. I can't imagine what it looks like to see him run. Me neither. In dress shoes. And when he sat down, he had his belt in his hand. So I don't know what was going on there. From security. Oh, come on, Charlie Brown. Oh, my goodness. Yeah, they make you take it off. Hysterical. And it's a Sunday in Vegas, so there's not a lot of people in there. So dude, when you make it to the gate, is the gate, it's still open? Yeah. What? Oh my goodness.
Well, because they had a lot of, like, standby people. So, right when Seth was coming on, they were counting the open seats on the plane to let standby pass. Like, if there wasn't anybody standby, we would have been gone already. Oh, wow. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. So, I had to run, like, probably a mile through that airport just feeling, like, death in these stresses. Yeah, it's pretty far, man. Well, at least she sweated it out. Yes, she did. Yeah. Yeah. Unbelievable. I saw on Facebook that he made the comment, I can't even begin to tell you about my night last night. And I thought, what must have gone on? You have to tell him, Seth, because we were hanging out with the fighter, Mayhem, who we interviewed on Friday, who was insane. That UFC crazy guy? He's a maniac, Mike. So I didn't know this because I was wondering why Seth got so drunk because all of a sudden he came up to me and he's like, I'm housed. I'm housed? I'm housed. He was done. And I go, I'd just seen him drinking beer the whole night. I go, I wonder why he got so drunk. Seth, you have to tell them what Mayhem said to you. Well, I'm standing there with... Where were you? What place? We were at Moon, which is a club in... The Palms. In the Palms, yeah. I'm drunk. It was a new club. It was really cool. At a table. We were with fighters. Right.
Miller hooked them up because those fighters are sponsored by them. So we're in this table, and Mayhem Miller comes up when I'm talking to one of the guys who was in the party. He's like, listen here. He was wasted. Yeah, he was getting there. And it's me and this guy, and he tells us, hey, single guys, figure it out. This is how you go. You go over here. You talk to chicks. You tell them this. And then when they say this, you say this. And then you tell them to come back and have a drink on Mayhem. So we go, and we come back. Like, I'm getting vodka poured down my throat. Oh, my gosh. By these people in this booth. Are you watching this, Ash? No. You didn't see any of this? No. I mean, I remember, like, I looked over maybe. It was pitch black dark, by the way, in Moon. So dark. Eddie says to Ashley at the gate, he goes, Hey, you're supposed to take care of him. You're his big sister. Yeah. I would always, like, kind of glance up and just make sure Zeth was there because we were all just mingling. And, like, there was one point when I did see him holding the Grey Goose bottle in his hand. Oh, no. But I never, like, really saw him chugging it or anything. So I just didn't think anything of it. Zeth was so lucky to make that flight. I don't know how he did it. I'm glad he's okay. I could not have lived with that guilt, Mike. Like, I couldn't have. 570. 570-1053.
That's our phone number. Open phones. Call us. 570-1053. Text us at 35253. Sorry, I'm drunk. Eddie and Rob just fist bumped. I don't even know what it's about. We're good kids, man. We never do stuff like that. I've watched it happen. In a mirror. In a mirror you watch this. I don't have a mirror. I don't have a mirror. I've never experienced it. 5701053. Oh my gosh. I'm glad I've never tasted alcohol because if I... It's a dangerous... It's a gateway drug, right? Yes, it is. Yes, the gateway is to Zethianism. To throwing up blood. 570-1053 is our phone number. P1 Jason is on the line. He was in Las Vegas at the casino. What's going on, Jason? Hey, guys. How's it going? Good, man. Awesome. Hey, I had a great time, but I was wondering how much money does B-Rob have left from his amount he got? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Rob, did you have any money left at the end of the trip? Yeah, I came back with $100.
Nice. Me and Eddie played some blackjack. There you go. Awesome. That is cool. Well done. Very cool. Hey, Jason, you guys obviously drove home, got home safely. Yeah, we got home about 5. Nice. 4 or 5 o'clock, yeah. Nice. We had a great time. Right on, dude. Thanks for coming. It was good to see you. Right on. That's P1 Jason. 5701053 is our phone number, our text number, 35253. Have you... seen the video of President Bush having shoes thrown at him. It's so delicious. What a way to go out, huh? President Bush is in Iraq. He's at a press conference and some dude in the back of the room, and when I say the back of the room, I'm talking the distance between where I am and where Ashley is, which is a space of about, I don't know, I'd say a good... 20 feet? 20 feet sounds about right. 20 feet? I mean, it's far. It's pretty good distance. This dude throws a shoe at President Bush. Two shoes. He makes them both. Are you kidding? Ashley, do you know why he threw shoes? No. Because, Sky, tell her.
Well, in their culture, that's like the greatest insult. Like when they pulled down the statue of Saddam, people were taking off their shoes and beating the statue with it. Like that is the greatest insult to be hit with a shoe. Yes. Oh, man. This is awesome. And let me tell you. Let me tell you. Bad shots. What is Secret Service doing? President Bush. Yeah, true. President Bush. Dodges. Like he's playing dodgeball. And he's good. I'd pick him for my dodgeball team. That would be a good pick. After seeing him on film, I know he's a good player. Because he dodges those shoes. That is nuts. Feels like Matrix style. Bullet time. Absolutely incredible. President Bush is at dodging shoes. So good. If you haven't seen the video, it's fantastic. Oh, it's everywhere. Oh, yeah. Awesome. It's everywhere. YouTube it. Sky says it's on CNN, right? Yeah. This morning when I logged on, it was like the front thing, and you can just click on the front page and watch it right there. Watch the video. It's awesome. It's pretty fantastic. You really should see it. Happy holidays, everybody. Call us. 570-105.

And I want to ask him, were you home watching the game? Did you see the whole thing? Did you see how that played out? And if you haven't heard, the Chargers playoff hopes are still alive. They are still alive. They are still alive. Eddie is staring at Ashley right now with a look on his face that says, what's the matter with you? Ladies and gentlemen, Rob is going to have the New York Yankees logo strapped. spray painted on his head at 7 o'clock this morning. Also, Eddie's going to run down NFL scores. We got P1 trivia so somebody can come hang out in the studio on Friday with us. Last time this year. Dude, that's it. It's a last time for 08. It's a last time for 08. Friends in 08. Hello, my name is Luis, and I'm here to confess a really bad habit. Hang on. Hello? Hey, what's going on? Okay, I'll talk to you soon. I didn't even realize I had a bad habit until... Hang on. Hello? Yo, amigo, ¿qué pasa, man? Sure, you got it. I didn't know I had a bad habit until this guy approached me in a bar and said... You know, that's a bad habit. What's a bad habit? Hang on. What?
No, it's not raining here. Sorry, you were telling me. What's a bad habit? It's obvious. Drinking that light beer. Try Tecate Light. It tastes like real cerveza. So I tried Tecate Light. And after one drink, I broke my bad habit of drinking flavorless light beer. It feels good to now be bad habit free. Hang on. Hello? Hey, what's going on? Break the habit. Try Tecate Light. For those who want more. Responsible drinking is a good habit. Imported by Cervezas Mexicanas, White Plains, New York. Now, back to Mikey. I love football so much. Eddie. I have a very strong sensitivity to smells. Sky. I smoked so much pot in high school those years. I blew my brain out. What do you want from me? Sean. Pet Shop Boys are one of my favorite groups. Boston Rock. I wish I was smarter so I could fight this better. And Ashley. I am a very, very... twitchy person, and I feel like it's because I have ADD. The Mikey Show is on. Rock 105.3. I don't want Christmas. There's just one. Go 639. The LAPD has confirmed that Sharon Osbourne is a suspect in an assault case after a contestant from the Rock of Love Charm School accused Sharon of attacking her. Oh, wow. San Diego State has a new football coach. They have hired Ball State's Brady Hoke.
As their new head coach. Eddie, do you know anything about Brady? He had a huge season this year. They went 12-1. Oh, wow. And he completely turned around that program. That program was really nothing. Right. And he's made him into a winner. So, in that regard, it's good. That's cool. Yeah. I just don't know a lot about the guy. Wouldn't it be great, you know, if San Diego State became one of these schools that you... hear about all the time because they're known nationally for being awesome. Yeah, that would be awesome. They're just like, you know, they're up there with all the big names. That would be really great. I didn't even go to San Diego State, but I would really love that. I did. Ashley did, man. I practically graduated. That's right, dude. Dude, that's my favorite. Save that clip. Save that clip. Dude. That is my new favorite line. Me too, by the way. I never went to college, but I practically went to college. Oh, that's good. UCLA? Yes, I actually, that would have been my alma mater. It would have been UCLA. It's a really good school. Thank you. Calm down. 5701053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. And Sean was at the mall. The mall? The mall.
I did. I was at the mall. Yes, he was. The mall. We all heard. And Sean has some advice for those of you. This is now going to be sort of a Christmas advice with Sean in terms of where to go to the bathroom if you are at the mall. Yes. Don't know why I would need a mic. I mean, wouldn't you just go to the restroom? Well, most of us would. We would just go find a restroom. Yeah, they're all over. I wouldn't do that if I were you. But Sean, as you know, is a germaphobe. And so his advice would be, you know, very germ-free. So if you want to know the best place to go to the bathroom, Sean, tell us. I'll tell you right now, Mike. All right. If you are at the mall. The mall. The mall. And if you're doing your Christmas shopping at. The mall. The mall, yes. The best place to go to the bathroom, the cleanest place, the safest place, the place where you can have the most privacy, Mike. Yes. That would be Nordstrom. Oh, it is. Absolutely go to Nordstrom. The bathrooms are always clean. And if you do like I do, use the family bathroom because you can go in there, you can lock the door behind you and nobody else can get in. That's right.
for, like, women with babies. That's right. People don't know this. Sean is, in fact, a woman with a baby. It's true that occasionally, I mean, I do eat for three, it's true, but in addition to that, sometimes, sure, I get a dirty look or two when I walk out of there and there's a mom waiting with a baby and it's, you know, foaming at the diaper. It's every man for himself during the holidays. That's right. Tell us about the hand dryer. Well, you know, Nordstrom has taken it up a notch, Mike. They've installed a new high-tech hand dryer that's even better than the regular hand dryer that you would find where you press the plunger and the air comes out the bottom. Right, right. This thing looks like a half a toaster. How does it work? It comes out of the wall and you put your hands in the slot. And when you put your hands in, these high-powered air jets...
shoot from each side of this little slot and it dries your hands. You just kind of dunk them in and pull them out, dunk them in and pull them out and they're drying no time flat and it feels like it is sandblasting the dirt right off your hands. It's awesome. The dirt. It is fantastic. The dirt. I would recommend it. It sandblasts the dirt. Go to Nordstrom. Use the family bathroom. Use the high tech. No one do that. Unless you're a family. Yes, unless you're a family. Yes. What if you're like me and Rob and go to malls that don't have Nordstrom's? Yeah. Well, in that case, in that case. Go to one that does. If you have to, if you have to go to the bathroom, I would suggest you go out, get in your car, drive to one that has Nordstrom, go to Nordstrom. That seems a little out of the way. That is quite a solution. It's 100% safer. There it is. This is strange because, you know, usually people don't have dirt. on their hands. That's the weird thing. Oh, everybody has dirt on their hands. Everybody has. They just wash their hands. Even though you do wash your hands, there are particulates that are in the water. Everybody knows that in the water there are not only things like chlorine and bleach and things like that, but there are also occasionally, you know, you could be in a situation where there are heavy metals in the water.
Like, Lord, you're not going to take it. Like heavy metal? Whatever. But in addition to that, okay. That could be in the water. But there are also, like, you know, calcium and things like that that can leave a residue on your hands. So when you put it in this high-pressure nozzle situation, it's going to blast all that stuff right off your hands. That's weird, isn't it? And you're going to come right out and be able to do surgery. It's great. It's really cool. You're all scrubbed up at that point. You're ready to go, Mike. P1 minivan, hello. Hey, what's going on, Mikey? How you doing? I'm all right. How you doing? Good. Good. I was wondering what you guys thought of the fight on Saturday. Dude. Solid. That's a pretty funny Johnson fight. I asked Eddie. I asked Eddie yesterday. I said, what was your favorite fight at the UFC? And he said that one. That head kick was outstanding. Sky even jumped up. Yeah, that was crazy. Yeah, the weird thing, she jumped up and she yelled, blah, DeMar, blah. The black guys won. Yes. What does it mean when it's an interim heavyweight championship? What that means is there's some sort of situation with the current heavyweight champion, so they need somebody to step in and be kind of the interim champion until whatever is resolved with the other guy. And what happened in the UFC is Randy Couture had a contract problem with them, so he was basically out of...
out of the UFC, so they needed an interim champion until they figured out what they were going to do with Randy. And once Randy came back, now, you know, Noguera, he still has some sort of claim to a belt because he was the interim champion, but they need to fight him or whoever wins the fight between Noguera and Mir needs to fight Brock Lesnar since Brock Lesnar beat Randy. There you go, bro. Thank you very much. Let's see. This one says, Oracle, what did you think of Bader and Vinny? Total shock to me. This was like the main event. Bader and Vinny. Total shock to me, but either way, the UFC got a great group of guys that are amazing. Thanks, P1 Michigan. I was completely shocked because I really thought that Bader was going to try and take the fight to the ground because he's a wrestler. And once it got to the ground, Vinny is a... crazy black belt jujitsu guy. And I thought he was just going to be like, tweak, you're done. But no, they stood up. They stood up the whole time. And, you know, that was a bad move on Vinny's part because he got knocked out. Eddie, another sports question. How do you feel about the Chargers going to Tampa next week? He won Concrete Cowboy. I feel better about it than I did a couple of weeks ago.
You know, Jeff Garcia missed yesterday's game with a calf injury. If he doesn't play, then the chances are even better. If he does play, they're still okay. You know, Tampa's kind of fading a little bit, and I think their chances are okay. It's not what you guys think about Jeff Garcia. He actually got into a fight with a calf. The two of them were in. Oh, my gosh. That's different than what I saw. Doesn't help his rumors. Not so much. A couple of Zeth questions now. Hopefully, Zeth will field some questions from listeners. And our text number is 35253. Our phone number, 5701053. Did Zeth forget anything in the room with the quick pickup that he had to do? That's P1, Andrew the Frake Train. Zeth? One thing, my cell phone charger. Oh!
Yeah, I got the big stuff, laptop, headphones, stuff like that. Yes, I'm on the phone. You can call them and have them mail it to you. Really? They'll do that? Yeah, remember when I lost Kitty McMue in the hotel that one time? And then I called them and then they found her and they mailed it to me. Kitty McMue. My stuffed animal. That is annoying. Are you a stuffed animal or are you a stuffed animal? What are you? I'm not, my kitty McMue. Are you a stuffed potato? Are you a stuffed potato? You're a stuffed pizza. You're a stuffed pizza. Wow. S-T-U-F-T pizza. Went all over the floor. Mm-hmm. This text message says that alcohol must have been coming out of Zeth's pores from running. Who was Zeth sitting next to on the plane? Sky just raised her hand. Yeah, I got that pleasure. Is it true? Can you smell alcohol coming out of his pores or could you not smell alcohol?
There was, yeah, there was some smell. I don't know if it was coming from his breath or his pores, but there was definitely. Wino smell? Yeah, I've been out drinking for the past week and a half smell. I'm a bar mat smell. Exactly. Ew. I've been throwing up blood smell. Weird and odd. 570-1053 is our phone number, our text number, 35253. Mikey Show. Hey, another great way to get a charger, just pretty much go to any hotel, go to the Austin town, tell them you stayed there last week. Wow. You know all the tricks. You know all the tricks. 570-1053. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, this is P1 Ginger. I was wondering after watching the fight, especially Junie's fight, how he complained about Frank Mir's training. What do you think of Mir's training? Junie looked bad on Ultimate Fighter, but when he got back to his gym, he just came back and rocked Kaplan. I don't think you could take anything that Junie says, you know, seriously, that guy's a clown. He did look stronger, though. Well, yeah, but I mean, that was his own fault. I mean, he was training like an idiot, and, you know, I don't think it had anything to do with Frank Mirren. In fact, after the end of the fight, he, you know, got on the mic and said, hey, I'm sorry, I was kind of stupid for saying that.
Hey, for those of you that have never seen this show, The Ultimate Fighter, it's a reality show where they actually get somebody to win a spot in the UFC. Six-figure contract. Unbelievable, man. They live in a house, and they follow him around like a reality show. And this guy that they're talking about, Junie, I finally watched a few episodes of this, and he's a little mentally unstable. He's a little bit of a hothead. A little unstable. But it was a good show, man. Good fights and small room. That was the crazy part for me. It was such a trip. Watching the UFC in such a small little place. It was like in my backyard. It was. We've had those before. The other thing that was a trip was watching your wife and my wife so excited when guys were getting knocked out. Yeah, they're into it. They're really into it. Sky covering her eyes. Sky, how'd you do? There was one fight where I had a really tough time. I was like, I may need to leave. Really? Yeah, it was the one where the guy got his head split open. Oh, Jason McDonald. The dude took his, like, elbow and just started, he had him pinned down and started just pounding his elbow into the guy's skull.
kept coming and coming, and they finally had to call the fight because the dude's head was cracked open. Sky was screaming for someone to call 911, and they were like, no, no, no, no, this is sanctioned. Assault! Arrest that man! 570-1053 is the phone number. Our text number, 35253. When we come back, we will talk to Sean Merriman of the San Diego Chargers and find out what his thoughts were on that crazy comeback win. And also, what is up with the weather? Sky will tell you all about it right after this. Thank you, brother. What if you could give your family just what they want this holiday for one low price? Introducing Sprint Family Plans. During his final trip as president to Iraq, President Bush gets a pair of shoes thrown at him by an Iraqi reporter. Deborah helps out the Chargers by losing to Carolina 30-10. Welcome back to the show. Hey, by the way, right now on the Today Show, they are showing Tom Cruise, right? He had to dump two shoes thrown by an Iraqi TV reporter. That's exactly right. Today was supposed to be the big day where Matt Lauer interviews Tom Cruise again. Yeah, the last time that he interviewed him, we know what happened, right? It blew up, man. Tom Cruise got all mad at Matt Lauer. He's all mad at him because Lauer started asking him about making comments to Brooke Shields about taking medication for postpartum depression. And, of course, Tom Cruise belongs to the Church of Scientology. They don't believe in doing that. And so he was very outspoken about it. And it turned into kind of a big deal, man. They really did it in the glib way, Mike. That's right.
It was the glib thing, right? That's why he called him glib. Yeah, nobody knew that word until that interview. Yeah, it was so great to actually learn the word glib. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think I get where you're coming from. Thank you, Mike. Yeah, me and Sky are the only two that actually didn't. You didn't, but that's nice of you. Yeah, but I'm still trying to be a friend. You know what I'm saying? You're very kind. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're very kind. We have to look it up here on the show, all you jerks, so shut your mouth. 570-1053 is our vote. You're liars and you're jerks. Oh, man. Oh, by the way, oh, by the way, we're going to be spray painting Rob's head this hour. You want to see it? You can come down here and watch. We're going to do it out back, right? I don't think we can spray inside. I don't think you're raining out there. Well, I don't think you can spray spray paint indoors. No, you shouldn't. It's very bad. But you get a nice buzz.
You've got to do it in a really wide area. Like Zeph's studio. My suggestion, we take some umbrellas out there and we spray paint this head outdoors so that the toxins don't kill us. So that you know, do not barbecue indoors either. Rob learned that. Do not barbecue indoors. Do not take a barbecue grill with charcoal and do that indoors. That is a bad idea. Your own chimney. Sorry to yell at me about that. Yeah, that's right. And if you're just waking up, President Bush had a pair of shoes thrown at him in Iraq. Love it. Hey, why don't we do some of this? Right here. This is the Bud Light Sean Merriman. This is what I'm talking about. Ladies and gentlemen, Sean Merriman, a weekly contributor on The Mikey Show. And it's actually going to be real good to talk to Sean today. How you doing, man? Much better. Dude, I bet. Okay, so I'm watching this game, right? And I'm like, I can't believe what I'm looking at here. I can't believe what's happening. The Chargers needed that win to advance, and they got it. They were down. Eddie, I want to say... 18 points. 18 points. Sean, were you doing stuff yesterday, or were you sitting in front of a TV watching this?
Yeah, I called Tom Cruise with a Scientology thing. Is that what happened? You're on the phone with Tom Cruise? So, yeah, that's what I meant to ask you. I wanted to see if you were running around doing stuff yesterday or if you actually saw this kind of exciting finish. No, I watched the whole game. It was a nail-biter. But everyone's not going to be pretty, man, as long as we get a W. That's what matters. Dude, were you tripping out watching that comeback? It was hard. It was hard, man, because for a second it was a long shot with an onside kick and force to go down there and try to score again. But that's what makes championship teams. I mean, as crazy as it sounds, it's looking pretty good. We can't get too excited early, but that's signs of a championship team. Yeah. Sean Merriman is a very good football player. If you don't know the sport of football. Professional football. And you're listening to the Mikey show right now and you don't know anything about the NFL. And you're hearing me talk to this man on the phone, Sean Merriman. You may not know this. He's extraordinarily talented football player and puts a smack on guys when he's in that game. And yeah, he is very good. And right. He had surgery.
on his knee, and so he won't be playing again until next season. But we talk to him. He's one of the superstars of the league. But we talk to him here every week. And, Sean, this is the cool thing. I've said this a million times. Great thing is to be able to get your point of view. It's a point of view we don't get. We're not on that field. We're not in that locker room. And it must have been. A total bummer for you to not be out there with them yesterday to experience what that locker room must have been like after the game, coming back, winning the way that they did, their playoff hopes still alive. What do you think it was like in that locker room? I think it was so much excitement for a few reasons because the way the season has been looking so far, it's easy to get down on each other. It's easy to start yelling. having problems with guys, blaming a coach or blaming certain things. And to be in a situation where we need to win all three games and somebody else need to lose all three games and still have that attitude to come all the way back from the 17-point deficit, just show you that we're on the right path. And that's all you can ask for with two games left in the season. Sean, a lot of times something big like this, when something like this happens, it sort of changes the psychology.
And these oftentimes are pivotal moments. These are turning points. I mean, sometimes you need these things to happen. Sometimes a team needs to go through certain things and know how much is really on the line. Yeah, so this could be a turning point for these guys. Eddie. Sean, you've played the Chiefs twice this year, beat them by a combined total of two points. What is it about the Chiefs that are giving the Chargers such struggles? You know, I think it's always been a matchup. Every year is the reason why we beat the Colts the way we do, no matter what they're looking like. Last year in the playoffs, we were underdogs. I don't know, they were like 82% guaranteed to win. But it's always been a game of matchups. Some things, they do really good. Some of the problems that we've always had playing against them. You know, I was actually thinking about you watching the game yesterday because I was looking at the field. And the field is just ugly. That Arrowhead Stadium, that field, it's just filthy looking. There's a big giant stripe right down the middle of it where the grass grows in a different pattern. And it's just hideous. And then I was looking at the actual field and there's all these divots that have come up. And I remember Sean saying that was the worst field that he ever played on, the sloppiest field he ever played on, where he said you would dig your cleats in there and they would sort of stick in the mud and go.
you know, and then you would pull your foot out and your cleat would stay behind. Right, Sean? Yeah. Well, yeah, at this point in the year, you know, in December, it's one of the hardest places to play for two reasons, because it's a crowd and then the field. I mean, it's their kind of field, what they like to play on. And as a pass rusher, as a speed guy, you know, for LT, it must have been hell out there. Now, over the course of the week, we haven't talked to you over the course of the week, and during the course of the week, T.O. says he's upset that Tony Romo and Jason Witten, his tight end, have become such good friends because he's not getting the ball. And I have heard analysis upon analysis. By the way, side note, Eddie said he finally saw you doing your sort of studio reporting. He goes, Sean's really good, man. Eddie, what'd you see him on? You're on what? Fox Sports, Sean? Yeah, Fox. Yeah, man. You brought it. I liked it, man. It was good stuff. So, Sean, analyze this for me. Analyze the whole T.O. situation. Well, right now, the problem is T.O. has a problem not getting the ball and complains about it. And he's right. The thing is, you can't complain to the media. Every time that he comes out and says something about the team or something about the quarterback or wide receiver tight end, it makes him look bad.
Even though he's right, he can't come out and say things like that because he's always going to be the bad guy. When he gets the ball, they win games and he needs to get the ball. Now what about this? Tell me what you think about this because I agree that you're absolutely right. When you put the ball in T.O.'s hands, good things do happen. He's a fine football player, no doubt about it. But I see Chris Berman says this yesterday. I want to get your take on this, Sean. We're talking to Sean Merriman. He says, Look at this. You throw a hand grenade into San Francisco, and you just wait a little while, and then boom. And then you throw a hand grenade into Philadelphia, and then you just wait a little while, and then boom. And then we throw a hand grenade into Dallas, and we wait a little while. So what do we got here? What do we got? And I just wanted to see, what do you think, Sean? I mean, is there something to that? Well, I think that every team that deals with T.O. knows what they're getting. They're getting a heck of a football player. but they're going to get a little bit of everything else as well. So with that being said, they'd rather have their talent, but he just needs to understand that he can't come out and say those things in the media because no matter what, and I know a bunch of guys are going to doubt. They feel he's right. He needs to get the ball. But at the same time, you can't say those things out in the public. It just makes you look bad.
And why is he getting the ball? Is he not getting the ball because they're not calling plays to get the ball in his hands? Or is he not getting the ball because Tony Romo's picking somebody else to throw it to? Well, I think it's 50-50. Going into a game, you know who you need to stop. It needs to be T.O. You worry about Witten and Rodgers a little less. You know what I don't understand is they showed a graphic and they show that T.O. has got like 30 more balls thrown to him than Witten. Are you serious? Oh, wow. Well, that was a big discussion, too, that he was actually getting the ball. But it matters what situation and scenario he's getting the ball. And you've got to understand that he's a wide receiver. A wide receiver is supposed to touch the ball typically more than a tight end. But, Sean, if Tony Romo doesn't feel confident, because we know that T.O. doesn't run great routes and that he's been known to drop a lot of balls, if he doesn't have the confidence in T.O. and he knows that Wynn's going to make the catch, that's not a bad thing, is it?
Not at all. And that's where, you know, it comes in where you got to be a better teammate. You got to sit down and say, look, this is what we have to work on. We have to work on the timing of the routes. We have to work on our communication because we're in the line to win the playoffs. And we have to do what we have to do to get in the playoffs. And whether that means sucking up your pride and say, look, I've been wrong. I need to get better as a player, whatever it is. But right now, it's not the time to be selfish for anybody. So, Sean, back to the San Diego Chargers. We got Sean Merriman on the phone. The playoff hopes are still alive. And next week, you roll out to Tampa Bay. Oh, my. And, I mean, what are your predictions for this game, Sean? You know, of course we don't go down there with an attitude to win the game. I think what we're looking at now is probably a better defense. Kansas City didn't have as good of a pass rush. They had eight sacks coming into that game. Tampa Bay is much better. Much better defense, personally. And then their offense is a little bit more high-powered. They got some guys that can do some things, and we're going to face a better team this week. All right. Well, listen. The playoff hopes are still alive. That's the big story. Front of the San Diego Union-Tribune today. And then Denver helped out because they went out there and lost in Carolina. And so...
I'll tell you what, man. What I'd really like to see is for this thing to come down to the Denver-San Diego game. It has to. What a game. Bring it. So that would be awesome. Hey, listen. Sean, we appreciate it, man. Have some eggnog. It's that time of season. It's that time of year. And when it's gone, it's gone. You know that eggnog ain't going to be there in January, bro. So knock that stuff out. Get it all off the shelf while you can. That's right. Hey, Sean, we appreciate it, man. Thanks for coming on the show. All right, thanks a lot. That's Sean Merriman. Well, you don't have to tell you it's going to be a wet commute here this morning. It's going to get worse before it gets better, especially after 9 o'clock. That's when it's really going to dump, they say. But right now, we've got plenty of stuff to deal with. We've got several accidents, almost too many to mention already out of the South Bay, both 5.05 northbound, pretty jammed up by the National City. The 8.05, especially, from the 15 in the North Park. And now it's a crawl from the 163 already coming out of Kearney Mesa up to Governor Drive. You've got the westbound 94. Actually, that's not too bad. Just a minor delay in the downtown. The westbound 8, though.
has got an accident just past the 805 near the Q, so watch for a bit of a slowdown backing up there. Actually, it starts before that. The usual tight stuff from Spring Street to Lake Murray out of La Mesa, and then again past that accident at the Q. South 15, bumper-to-bumper out of Escondido off the 78 to down at a ranch at Bernardo. Some reduced speeds again now through Skip's Ranch in Poway. The westbound 56, starting to see some heavy traffic approaching Carmel Valley Road to the 5, and the coaster ride on that 5 southbound. You've got stuff through Oceanside and then Carlsbad, Cannon Road, And that's a struggle from there. Pretty solid now, all the way down to Solana Beach. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. The new Keanu Reeves movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still, was number one at the box office, making 31 mil. Well, we were just talking about T.O. Dallas is one big happy family again after beating the Giants last night, 20 to 8.
I saw Day of the Earth, Sit Still. Oh, really? Oh, wow. Is it your favorite? I thought it was the best thing. This is the best thing I can tell you about the movie. All right. This is the most positive comment I can make about the movie. Okay. It's not as awful as Independence Day. Oh, wow. That's the most positive thing I can tell you. That's a great movie. It's not as stupid as Independence Day, but almost. That's offensive. Your planet. How'd Keanu do? That was great. That was the performance by the Reeves. Let me tell you something. Will Smith's kid, best actor in the movie. Oh, wow. He's better than Keanu Reeves. That's not very nice. Cut 58. So does mine. Let me go, too. Yes. Let me go, too. Since we're at it. And I saw it in IMAX, which was a great experience.
Turn it down a little bit. I like the movie, but it's so loud. Already. Okay, a couple things. If you want to see Boston Rob get his head spray painted, get down here now. 9660 Granite Ridge Drive. We're going to be out back spray painting his head. I'll explain why we're spray painting his head in just a minute. Also, Sky, I talked about, but we didn't get to it. What's up with the weather? What's going on? Dude, well. freezing yesterday, huh? Duh. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Old man winter came in. Extra Mikey on the bed. That's right. Did you say McCain was in town? That's right. So yeah, the storm moved in this morning and they say we're going to have a couple storms back to back. This first one today is going to be the worst one. They say starting about 9 o'clock this morning it's just going to dump until the afternoon and then we're going to have a couple smaller storms on its tail and so they say by the time all these storms move through we can have about two inches of rain which is a lot
And it's so cold that we're going to get snow. They say snowed between about 6,000 and 4,000. You need to protect your veggies. Oh, that's Old Man Baker. That's a good point. You do. Protect your cucumbers. Well, your citrus is sensitive. What do you do? I know that. He's Old Man Baker. Talking on his bad side. Talking about the cucumbers. Yeah, he's a vegetable expert. What's the matter with you? Old Man Baker? Greenhouse. You do? Just for my cucumbers. You do? Oh, wow. Just for the cucumbers? You're good. Wow. That's weird. A whole plate. You built a whole. Doesn't make sense. Wow. Using. Gum. Gum. This is always a weird concoction that you come up with to do stuff. A stapler. A gum. A stapler. Makes a housing. And human hair. And human hair. Well, I mean, can't you just put a blanket on top of your sensitive? Yeah, why not a blanket? What are they, in bed? Yeah. What am I, ladies? What's the matter with you? Okay. He's Old Man Baker. I'm sorry. My bad. I think he knows. Well, I'm trying to. I think he knows. I'm just trying to help. I think he knows what he's talking about. Okay. He wrote a book. I'm sorry. Exactly.
Duh. Duh. By the way, if you haven't already heard, President Bush had shoes thrown at him. Look out! In a press conference. Oh, too much. Sky. Okay, so, you know, President Bush is only going to be our president for a little while longer, so he made a surprise visit to Iraq to talk about the decline in violence and the new agreement they have to get the troops out by 2011. And so he was holding this press conference, and one Iraqi reporter in the middle of the press conference... took both his shoes off and chucked them at President Bush's head. And Eddie and Sky made the greatest observation of like, hey, Secret Service, good going. Because the guy fired one shoe first. If that were a gun, Bush would be dead right now. So you got to see the audio because it is delightful. It's all over the place, CNN.com. But even listening to it, it's fun too. So cut four. Is that him? They're now holding it.
Wow. Yeah. So a translation of what he said while he was throwing his shoes was, this is a farewell kiss, you dog. Dang it. What did we think of that? Yes. That is great. And then President Bush commented on the incident cut five. But let me talk about the guy throwing the shoe. There's one way to gain attention. It's like going to a political rally and having people yell at you. It's like driving down the street and have people not gesturing with all five fingers. It's a way for people to draw attention to what the guy's cause is. But one thing is for certain, he caused you to ask me a question about him. I didn't feel the least bit. threatened by it. These journalists here were very apologetic. They said this doesn't represent the Iraqi people, but that's what happens in free societies where people try to draw attention to themselves. Plus, hey, free shoes. That's right. You get shoes out of it. Buster Browns. Buster Browns, by the way.
Are you guys ready to do this? Yeah, please. Are you guys ready to do this? Get him. Is Rob outside? Well overdue. Let's do this. I'm going to go out there. I'm going to go out there. I'll take my phone. And Zeth, you come run this. All right. So we got a vamp? Yeah, you got a vamp. We'll vamp. Sky, dance. Okay. And I Vogue. And I Vogue. Okay, wait. That's not really. That's still hip, right? That's really good. Vogue is really in right now. Here's my favorite thing right now. Looking out the window. Looking at Rob. Smoking a cigarette. Yeah. Ugh. As he has got his hoodie on. Classy. Which he's going to have to take off. Oh, yeah. Because they are about to spray paint. Was that lightning? No, that was the hotline ringing. Oh, okay. I was like, cool, we'll have Rob hold up a golf club, too. You there, Mike? Hello. Okay. You there, Mike? Testing sibilance. Sibilance. Oh, sibilance. Can you hear me? Yes, we can hear you loud and clear. Are you on your Bluetooth? I am on my Bluetooth. Oh, those are in the back. All right, I'm outside, and I'm out here with a couple of the gals from Promotions. They are incredible. They have the stencils all ready to go. That is gorgeous. It is the symbol of hate for Boston. Symbol of hate. Symbol of hatred for Boston, Rob. It is the New York Yankees logo.
And, oh, it's going to be great. Now, quick explanation. Let me explain why we're doing it this way. What we had planned on doing was shaving the New York Yankees logo into the back of his head. But when we had about 45 minutes left to go in the raising of money, because we said if we raised $1,000, we would shave the emblem into his head. The deal is, is when we only had about 45 minutes left, we hadn't even raised 300 bucks, so it looked like a massive failure. We thought it wasn't going to work, and so we told them, all right, come back in, and we'll put our tail between our legs and try to explain it. Well, what happened was, is we went ahead and counted all the money when the show was over, and they said we raised $1,058. Oh, man. Crazy. And so I'm all freaked out about it, and I don't know what we're going to do, and Eddie goes, don't worry about it. I got it. Spray paint his head. Spray paint his head. And so we are going to spray paint the Yankees emblem onto his head. I love it. Which is way worse. Yeah. Way worse. Because he would have shaved the rest of the hair off. Right. As soon as he got a chance. Yeah. This he's got to leave on. Rob. Now, as you know, Rob is a Boston Red Sox fan. And he's very superstitious as well. And so, Eddie.
Eddie, as the Oracle of Sports, do you think that there could be any superstition involved with next season? Well, it's almost a guarantee now, you know, with the signings of Sabathia and A.J. Burnett that the Yankees are going to win the championship next year, especially because Rob did this. You're so stupid. I can't believe he said that. I'm not the one that's spray painting the opposing team's emblem on my head. Shut up. It's the off season, and I'm just fulfilling a bet. Okay, hey, man. Anyway, you got to justify it. Hey, we're all just having fun out here. Is that what's happening? Yeah, it looks like it. It looks like it. I'm not having fun, but apparently this is funny to some people. It is a lot. You guys ready? Yeah, do that. Let's do it. Let's do it. All right. What, what, what? You're doing it? I'm not going to do it. I'm going to call the action. I'm going to call the action, and then, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Do we need somebody else? Are we going to need one more person? Okay, let's do this. Eddie, you do the honors. Come on out here and spray. All right. Come on out here and spray, because I can't spray and hold the phone, and she's got the stencil, and it's, by the way, the stencil is perfect. Oh, it's dead on. Yeah, it looks great. Awesome.
The stencil is made out of a material that they put on an overhead projector to show on the overhead projector. Ashley. I have a question. How long is, like, do we have a rule? How long does this need to be spray painted into Rob's head, the New York symbol? Until tomorrow at this time. Until tomorrow at this time. Okay, so just for 24 hours. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, he has to go. Well, first of all, he's going out today. to do his usual man on the street, You Got Robbed, which they videotape. And so you will see this on him when he's out doing that. You've been robbed. Now, Eddie, my suggestion is that you sort of do like a, what do they call it, airbrush when you're using the paint. Do like an airbrush so you get like one side blue, one side white, and we kind of mix the blue and the white of the Yankees. What do you think? What do you think? I don't know if I can do it. Well, if, like, like that, you know, so you try one side. That was really good. Yeah, that was really good. Yeah, that was pretty good. Eddie is putting the stencil on. And by the way, we're videotaping this. Oh, yeah. We're videotaping this so that you can see it on the website. So Rob can show his children, yeah. Get him done! Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. And Promotions is helping him hold it down. Oh, he's testing it. Wait, wait, wait. Eddie, test it again. Do you hear that?
Looking good. That wasn't me, you guys. I know that sounded like I was exactly like that same exact sound. Oh, no. That was the real thing right there. Eddie's getting ready to go. I'm going to try to hold the phone in there so you can hear this. Wow, his head's a weird shape. Huge. Here we go. It's very egg-like. Yes, it is. There we go. Crazy. That's a bright blue. That is a bright blue. Rob just said. Rob just said. Yeah. That tastes funny. It's your mouth. Did you get some of that in your mouth? Yeah, a little bit. Why do you just have your mouth open? I would stand right there. Oh, oh, oh. Eddie's testing the other one. Eddie's testing the other one. Here it goes. Like an airbrush effect. White doesn't really show up. White doesn't really show up. You know what? Let's do blue. Just dark blue. Just like 12 coats of the blue should be fine. Hang on. Here we go. Should work good. Here we go. Put some sealer on it. Sealer.
A little lacquer. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Oh, wow. Wow. That is obnoxious. Oh, my goodness. Oh, that's great. That's great. Oh, that looks so stupid. Is it real bright? Oh, that looks so stupid. Don't let him touch it. I'm looking at it. Let me tell you. Okay. That's a massacre. It's just a mess. Can we put that on his forehead? They use so much paint that it's dripping down the back of his neck. Can we do that? Here, I'll do it. Here, here, here. Here, wait. How much are these? Eddie, you hold the phone. I won't. I won't. I won't. I won't. I won't. Because she cut out of bigger ones and smaller ones. Yeah, they need the smaller ones. Now they're doing smaller ones on, like, the sides of his head. Right on the top of the ball. Oh. I love this side. He is a mess right now. I love it. I love it. Percentage of chance that gets in his eyes. A hundred million percent. They're putting it on his forehead. That is ridiculous. Let it drip. Let it drip. Now it's dripping down his forehead. Oh, no. Oh, my gosh. You guys, it's hideous. Is it working? It's hideous. It's on the top and the back of his head. It's on the top. It's on the top and the back of his head. And it just looks hideous.
It's not very well conceived. Oh, what's that? It's not very well done. Both Eddie and I, admittedly, terrible job. That's okay. It kind of adds to it. It kind of adds. This paint is kind of runny, so it's not really sticky, but it looks so stupid. It's not really the beauty of it. It looks... Okay, imagine that a... Smurf were a seagull. And imagine that that Smurf seagull pooped all over his head. That's pretty much what it looks like. That is accurate. And so we'll go ahead and just keep that on his head. It looks like he has blue blood and got a headshot. It looks like he has blue blood and got a headshot. We're taking pictures. We videotaped it. We'll get it on the website as soon as... You look so sad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll say again. Why do you look so sad? I'm cold and unhappy. What? We're going back inside. We're coming back inside. You know what? Let's take a break. Let's take a break. We'll come back and we'll get this stuff posted on the internet so you can see pictures of it. It's so stupid.
It looks so stupid. I mean, it's not an intelligible NY. It doesn't look like the logo of the Yankees. It kind of, you can see the impression of an M, but mostly it's just looking a mess. It's fantastic. We'll be back. It's the Mikey Show. What's a P1? A P1 is someone that turns down their radio, they get to the point, they don't cuss, and they listen to the Mikey Show exclusively. That is correct. Home of the P1 Army. The Mikey Show.

Just don't squeeze me too tight, Carrie Underwood. Because I have lactose intolerance. And I just ate an entire wheel of Gouda. I see what you're saying, Harry. Carrie. Back to the Mikey Show on the Rock. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. Oh, Rob, you look...
Good. Thank you. It's a good look for you. You know, Eddie, when Rob began with us here on the Mikey Show, he was so enthusiastic. Very much so. Everything, really. Everything. Everything, really. You know, that has changed. Yes. The mature Rob is not as fun. Your hijinks, fellas, I just don't agree with. Is this really funny? Is that it? Who's getting a kick out of this? Yeah. Who really thinks this is funny? Not I. Welcome back. It is 743. Well, this is upsetting. A last minute change by the Bush administration to the Wall Street bailout plan allows a loophole that would let executives still get huge salaries. Are you kidding me? How do they do that? How? How? How do they do it? How do they find these? And you know they had somebody scouring through everything to find the said loophole so that they can continue. It'll make sure that they get paid more. Is that how it works? It was a last minute change added by the Bush administration. Oh, come on. Yeah, saying that this penalty, because basically they were saying it would be like a penalty. Like if you take this money, you know, the penalty will be that there's like a certain cap on these executive salaries and stuff.
So they changed it to say that the penalty would only apply to firms that got the money by selling assets to the government in an auction. Well, the government has just started handing out the money without requiring anyone to sell their assets. So basically, if they're not selling the assets, then it doesn't apply to them. And there you go, loophole. They still can pay big old salaries to the top executives, even though they're taking taxpayer bailout money. That's awful. That's awful. Disgusting. Ay-yi-yi. Anywho. What about this? What happened yesterday? I want to know what happened yesterday in the NFL. Well, big things popping, Mike, in the NFL. Of course, on Thursday, in case you missed it, the Bears beat the Saints in overtime, 27-24, basically eliminating the Saints from any kind of playoff contention. Eddie, is it at all distracting that there's a guy sitting to your left? that has blue spray paint. I'm just paying attention. Stripping down his head. He's got it all distracted. Very much so. But what can you do? Atlanta defeated Tampa Bay without Jeff Garcia 13-10 in overtime. A big upset with Cincinnati winning 20-13 over Washington in the Who Cares Game of the Week. Seattle beat St. Louis 23-20.
Miami continues to roll and is still tied atop the AFC East with a win, 14-9 over San Francisco. Chad Pennington talks about being in the hunt. What we talk about as far as a team is you never know when your opportunity is going to come. Make sure you're ready for it. And that's what football is all about. It's a team sport. You never know who's going to step up and make a big play. We don't play favorites around here. Whoever's open is going to get the ball. Jets are also atop the lead in the AFC East in a wild finish beating Buffalo. 31-27. Brett Favre talks about the crazy finish to that game. Wow. We needed that. We needed some type of break some way, somehow. We had some opportunities there right towards the end offensively and just basically didn't convert. So we needed a little help. And it came not the way I would expect it, but that's the thing about this game is you just never know. Eddie, that's got to give you butterflies. Oh, gosh. He is just a man. You know, Mike, I mean, they just find a way to win and find a way to be handsome. That's right. At the same time. It is incredible. Wow. They only have two more games to get it done. Detroit is now 0-14 on the year. Are you kidding me? As they lose to Indianapolis 31-21. Peyton Manning talks about his team. It's kind of been...
sort of the theme of our season, at least during this little winning streak. They've kind of been four quarter games. Like I said, we were playing against a team today and not a record. Okay. Well, let me tell you something. That's a bad football team. They're a bad football team. Very bad. Unfortunate. They have the chance to lose every single game. They probably will. For real? They probably will. That's bad. Jacksonville were able to get on the winning side of the football game as they beat Green Bay 20-16. Green Bay? That's the old hackneyed Green Bay phrase, Eddie. Yeah, when you hear Green Bay Packers, you're supposed to go, oh, Green Bay. No, I've never heard that. Isn't that a thing? No, it's not a thing. Maybe it isn't a thing? No. Maybe it's an Ashley thing. It could be that it's an Ashley thing. Andre Johnson for Houston had over 200 yards receiving as Houston upset Tennessee 13-12. Minnesota got by Arizona 35-14. And a great win by Carolina over Denver helping out the Chargers 30-10. Pittsburgh beat Baltimore 13-9 in a kind of controversial fashion as Ben Roethlisberger threw a touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes that was reviewed.
and was overturned and said that Santonio Holmes did get in and score the game-winning touchdown. Van Roethlisberger talks about the play. I saw an opening to left. I tried to run with it, and Ed Reed and everybody else closed it so fast that Tony did a great job of scrambling. My lungs give me time, and I saw him last minute throw it to him and made a heck of a play. There you go. New England kept their playoff hopes alive, beating Oakland 49-26. And Dallas, one big happy family once again. They beat Giants last night 20-8. Let's see. Our text number is 35253. And this sports fan asks, Mikey, I like football in the Chargers, but I'm still learning. What needs to happen for the Chargers to make the playoffs? That's P1 Newby. Eddie. Did you say playoffs? Playoffs. Oh, she had her mouth full of water. Oh, good. Yes. She had her mouth full of water right when we said it. Burn. The playoffs is what I was talking about. There it is. Jim Moore.
She's doing her imitation of Jim Mora. Jim Mora, we're from Arkansas. Arkansas Mars. Yes. Here's what has to happen. They have two games left. The Chargers have to win both of them, and Denver has to lose both of them. Now, next week, Denver plays Buffalo at home. So that's a pretty winnable game for the Broncos. Hopefully, Buffalo will somehow win. And if they do, and San Diego goes to Tampa Bay and wins, and it all comes down to the last game of the year. San Diego versus Denver here in San Diego. Okay, but if Denver wins, it's over. It's over. Or if San Diego loses, it's over. But Denver has to lose. Yeah. They must. Yes. They must lose. We must win. What do we have to lose? Right now, Tom Cruise is stepping onto the set of the Today Show. Oh, mama. For the first time since the big famous blow-up between him... And Matt Lauer. They got into it on live national television on the Today Show. To kill Adolf Hitler. Tom Cruise. Welcome back. So are we live now? We're live now. Trying to think the last time we did this. We have talked a lot about this. This is not a rematch. This is not Rocky 2. Without going into the subject matter, I'm just curious. I'm just curious. Why?
say these things about Brooke Shields. I hate to revisit this. Why are you crazy? Can you talk to me about that? Without mincing words here, Tom. First question out. With so many women suffering from postpartum depression, Tom, can you tell me... You're an awful man. The reaction on your end to the last time we sat down. We usually get a couple of hundred emails for an interview. We got about 10,000. What were you hearing? I think probably pretty much the same. Hey, listen, how old is Tom Cruise? He's in his 40s. Yeah, I think he's early 40s. Because he is fortunate in the looks department. He's a good looking guy. I was going to say 46 because I was watching him on Oprah. Dude, there's a lot of 26-year-old guys don't look like this turkey. Yeah, I think he's like 46. YouTube it. Yeah. You know, I mean, it was... And I went back and I looked at it. I thought, you know, it was interesting. And I think that, yeah, I kind of thought, at first, you know, you kind of go, how or why? And I thought, you know, I thought about it a lot, obviously. And I was, look, it was a subject matter that's important. And now it's something that's being, I guess, debated in the public. And that's where it should be. But actually... If anyone's lost, by the way. Yeah. I am. Are you? Let me explain. Last time he was on the Today Show.
Matt Lauer asked him about comments that he had made about Brooke Shields, who had just written a book talking about her postpartum depression. Do you know what that is, Rob? Yeah. After you have a baby, some people, their chemistry, their body, some women, their body chemistry is kind of messed up. And so they go into a depression. Okay. Well, Tom Cruise, as a Scientologist, does not believe in taking medication. And Brooke Shields had taken medication to become better from the postpartum depression. Matt Lauer is asking him about it, and he is, Tom Cruise, sort of positioning himself as sort of an expert on the subject. And Matt kind of, you know, calls him out on that. Like, you know, what do you really know about this? And if it helped, you know, Brooke Shields, isn't that okay? And he got very upset, Tom Cruise did. He called Matt Lauer glib, and they got into it. He started, like, kind of yelling at Matt Lauer. And so this is the first time he's been back since that famous blow-up. After looking at it, I really thought, you know, it's not what I had intended. I thought, in looking at myself, I thought, man, that came across as arrogant. You know, I felt about myself. You know, that's one of those things you go, okay, I could have absolutely handled that better. Did you read a lot of the comments? Did they affect you? Yeah, and I talked to people, and I felt that, I thought,
I didn't communicate it the way that I wanted to communicate it. And that's also, that's not who I am. That's really, it's not the person that I am. Hey, listen, I got to say this. And this is a really good study in human nature. If you didn't watch any of this season of The Ultimate Fighter, there's this guy on there named Junie who's a little bit kooky. I mean, he's off his rocker and everything. And, you know, was really... When he lived in this house, he was getting drunk and he was breaking pool sticks across palm trees and throwing them in the pool. And one minute he'd be yelling at somebody, the next minute he'd be crying. He was up and down. It was his emotion. Just a nut job, right? And he goes into the arena on Saturday night to boo. Everybody's booing him. That was me. Everybody's booing. And the whole place is filled with booze, right? He wins the fight. When it's all over, he gets up. He gets a microphone. And one of the first things that he does is he apologizes for some comments that he made. And he said he's sorry to the fans and blah, blah, blah. And you can hear a pin drop. No boos. No nothing. And there's something about somebody saying they're sorry. There's something about someone saying they're sorry. It was a mistake. And I shouldn't have done that. When you hear genuineness, it's really hard to. But when somebody says, well.
That was messed up. I didn't do anything wrong. And it's so-and-so's fault, actually. It had nothing to do with me. And it was more about, man, people don't like it. But, hey, listen, the first thing he's done here is be accountable and say, yeah, I wish I would have done it different. In that way, I mean, coming across in that way. A couple of things that dawned on me that were a result of the interview. in the movie business right now, which is an amazing milestone. And for the vast majority of that time in your career, you have been the golden boy. It seemed that writers would trip over themselves to write great things about you. You were absolutely everyone's hero. And it seems that about that time, three years ago, writers started to trip over them. Has it been three? Three years? No. That's incredible, man. Since that thing happened, it's been three years? Yeah, it's got to be. Whoa. Oh, my gosh. Time flies, huh?
Tom Cruise and Matt Lauer got into it three years ago. That's a trip. Solves to take shots at you. And I'm curious emotionally. It's interesting that you feel that. I think as anyone who's living their life is always, you know, you kind of feel that there have been times throughout my career. But definitely I think there was, that was interesting because it was, I think, a confluence of events that happened during that time. Hey, listen, talk about perspective. From Tom Cruise's point of view, he says, oh, no, that's been in my mind. I've been taking shots from the public and the media my whole career. But in all of our perception, no, dude, that's when you kind of started to get wacky. That was when you stood on Oprah's couch and did the jig. That was when you came in here and called me glib. That's when you met Katie Holmes and five minutes later proposed. And that's when Paramount Pictures fired you. That's right. Paramount Pictures, who you'd made gajillions of dollars with, started to think that you were so loony that they fired you. I mean, those were all the things that were going on at that time. It was at the end of a PR tour, a lot of stuff was going on. How did you deal with it emotionally, though? When you start to know that people are taking shots, do you change things? Do you try to present a different side of yourself? How do you handle it?
Bubble baths. Who's thinking bubble baths? Anyone? I learned a lesson. I think I learned a really good lesson. Obviously, the stuff that kind of came out, and you hear even you and I getting together, and you're saying Rocky V or whatever, and you kind of go, okay, I understand the spin of it. I've lived 25 years of this kind of stuff. And certainly things were all so twisted and misrepresented. you just look at it and I think you just... Just an observation. How whacked out is it that as you are looking at this scene and him saying something very serious and the moment is very serious and here we are looking at a very, very sort of stoic Tom Cruise. There are...
Very, very heavy people from Wisconsin behind him outside of a window waving and smiling at the camera. Who will not stop waving. Who will not stop waving and holding up signs and mugging for the camera that are outside the window as all this is going on, which is just weird. For me, I just take responsibility for it. I'm in good lessons because I'm here to entertain people. That's who I am and what I want to do. issues and things, when I'm, you know, my humanitarian issues, that's when, you know, I'll have a time and a place and a proper environment, and that's when I talk about that. Me, when I'm promoting films, that's when I'm here, you know, that's what I want to talk about. That's one of the other things I want to talk about. It's my understanding now you've decided you don't want to talk about Scientology anymore, which is fine, and I'm just... No, no, that's actually not true. No, okay, tell me... Oh, this is all right here. Uh-oh. Lib time. Ding, ding. I mean, it's something that I've been a Scientologist 25 years. As I said, when I'm... I think there's a time and a place for it. And because when things got, you know, things can get misunderstood and twisted. So I go, okay, when I'm discussing, you know, my humanitarian issues, but also when people are tuning in to hear. Will there ever be a time and a place for that? Will there ever be the sort of Matt Lauer, Tom Cruise Scientology hour?
Yeah. Maybe. I don't know. I think he's referring to, like, when he's actually speaking to Scientologists. Like, that's the time and place. It's kind of what I thought, too. Yeah, and those videos, obviously, you know, are copyrighted and banned and not allowed on the Internet like we've learned before. Yep. ...about my movie, and to hear about that, that's what I'm here to talk about. It's interesting, you know, I've said it on other things, because if you talk about it, you know, if I don't talk about it, it's like, why are you talking about it? He's avoiding it. You talk about it, it's like, oh, you're proselytizing. So I said, okay, look, I... You're prophetizing? Meaning that he's, wait a minute. Are we talking prophet, P-R-O-F-I-T? Or are we talking prophetizing, P-R-O-P-H-E-T? What are we talking about? What does he mean? Prophetizing. It's just P-H. What's it? Yeah? Yeah. Like you're talking about, you're getting into religion. Right. Right. Okay. And I'm here to entertain people. That's, as I said, that's. That's what I want to do. One of the other misconceptions, I think, that came out of it that I want to clear up from my end is that people came up to me on the street and said, boy, you must hate each other. There was no animosity. As a matter of fact, at the end of the interview, we got up and shook hands and put our arms around each other. And we've spoken since. I believe that. I believe that. Well, yeah, Tom thinks he's cute. Personality, you made a guest appearance.
at a roast for the Friars Club of me a few months ago. And you stood up there in front of a thousand people. Did we talk about that on the Mikey show? I thought so. It was so funny. What? Yeah, like Tom got up there and was doing bits about the like live interview. Really? Yeah. Oh my. As if you had been a stand-up comedian for most of your career. Were you nervous about it? Yeah, I've never done stand-up before. Did you treat it as a role? You seemed so funny. Yeah, but I'm a hysterical guy. Everybody knows me for being hysterical. Were you really surprised? I was surprised. I wanted to kill you that night. I was roasting you, and I wanted to rip your throat right out of your face. I thought we were literally roasting you. That's the only reason I went. The reason I went there is because... I thought we were going to roast you on a spit. And I wanted to see that. Since I have you here, Matt, I just want to tear your face right off your face. Just tear it right off. Very glibly. Yeah, glibly tear your face right out of your face. When we come back, ladies and gentlemen, let's do some stuff. Holy cow. Holy cow. Holy cow, by the way.
Wait till I read you what I read in Ashley's yesterday email about the Christmas party that she went to last night. Holy cow. Holy cow. That is on the way. So all of this stuff is coming up. And by the way, when we come back, Nigel Lithgow, he's a producer of American Idol. He's finally responded to all the stuff about, I don't know if you know this, but Paula Abdul. Speaking of kind of going off the deep end, is out there saying to the world that the Fox producers knew about this woman that was, you know, kind of nutty and killed herself on Paula Abdul's front yard. She says she's been going around in interviews. Anybody that'll listen saying Fox producers knew about it. They set me up and had her come in there. I think it was terrible. And so he's finally saying some stuff about it. And he's not stoked. Understandably. Got audio for you next. Great show, everybody.

Westbound 8, plenty of stuff here coming out of La Mesa. It's actually starting to Cajon Valley. Greenfield, East Main Street. Hitch again right around Spring Street. From there, those breaks are solid all the way into Hotel Circle. Yeah, what a mess. Stop on to the 15. You've got the slow ride from the 78th of your Rancho Parkway. Another crawl from Bernardo Center Drive staying with you all the way down in towards Miramar. The westbound 56, plenty of brake lights here from Black Mountain Road, solid at a 5. The coastal ride south 5 has got just a mess of a ride here from right around, looks like Carlsbad Village Drive. Continuing solid in the Solana Beach. And northbound 5, what a mess this is. Coming out of downtown, up past the airport, past the 8th freeway through Mission Bay, all the way in past the 52. Again, be careful out there, especially in those off and on ramps. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 1053. Diego's Rock. The show continues. The host of the show is a freak show. Eddie. Scott. Sean. Well, you know what? I'm a nonconformist. Boston Rob. Nothing in my life. Nothing in my life. Ashley. I'd share my food with you. The Mikey Show's on. I hear you, buddy. Rock 105.3. It's a Mikey Show.
An actress, Tara Reid, checked herself into rehab in Malibu. For what? For what? Everything. Oklahoma's Sam Bradford won the Heisman Trophy on Saturday night. In case you missed it, here's Sam saying he was surprised that his name was cut. I think you'll have a few more unreal experiences in the years to come with these guys. We have a strange streak, a second straight year, a winner with a cast on his hand. Can you lift this guy up with one hand? There you go, no doubt. I know you're... I know you run a fast-break offense, but things have to be spinning pretty fast for you right now. Is this experience in the first few seconds what you imagined, and were you surprised when your name was announced? I was definitely surprised, and I think it's everything I probably imagined, but I think it's going to take a couple weeks to soak it all in. It is great, dude. Personal experience. That's why if you don't have it, you want it back. It's great to win the Heisman, to run for 2,000 yards, to get away with murder. These are all great things. Yeah, that's right. All those things make me happy, man. Yes. Yeah. Starring opposite Leslie Nielsen. Yeah, shooting an eagle on 17. Yeah, that's right. That's a good thing, man. Yes. Yeah. Having a pool boy that won't keep his big, fat mouth shut. Don't get upset. Don't get upset. Don't get upset. Don't get upset.
A couple of things. First of all, wait. I can't wait to dive into Ashley's yesterday email. I promised you that when we came back that we were going to tell you about Nigel Lithgow kind of finally responding to Paula Abdul. Paula. Well, he's not a producer anymore, but he used to be during the time that this lady was on American Idol. Right, Sky? Yeah, you know, we're talking about the woman who killed herself outside of Paula Abdul's house. She had been stalking Paula Abdul for years, an obsessed fan, and actually made it through to see the judges and audition on American Idol. And then recently, Paula has been talking about it, saying how it has been upsetting to her and how she told the producers of American Idol that this woman was stalking her and they let her through anyways and exploited her for the TV show.
I said this last week, that's got to leave Fox extremely vulnerable. You know, I mean, look how that looks. It's terrible. And she's saying all this stuff, and I was saying, I can't believe they haven't already yanked her off the show and announced her firing and all this. But anyway, so what is Nigel Lithgow saying about it, Skye? Well, Nigel, I think we may actually have an audio clip of Nigel. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we do. Let's see. Yeah, I have one specifically. Cut 12. I don't remember the conversation. Paula said this, so she must have said it. At the same time, had Paula have said, this is a stalker I don't know about. But if she'd have said, this is a crazy fan, that's why she was there to a certain degree. Is there any chance that the vision was clouded because we knew Simon would have so much fun with her that this girl might be a threat? Because Paula says, Paula Abdul says that she felt... You know, uncomfortable. She didn't like it. And she suggested to you guys, this girl's been a problem. I know her. She's a stalker of mine. I have a past with her specifically. Not to my awareness. We are talking about three years ago and many, many hundreds of auditions later. And when she did what she did, the unfortunate actions that she took was three years later. So to sort of tie that into an audition on American Idol, I find upsetting.
And for it to continually to be raked over, I find upsetting for a family. Well, here's the deal. No matter what, I think that that's all. In hindsight, that's all he can say. The last thing he can do is go on there and say, well, yes, we knew about it. And we knowingly and willingly put on a person who we thought was chemically unstable and who would later kill themselves in front of a house. So, yes, we did. Anyway, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. But it made great TV. That's right. Well, I love how he's playing like both sides. He's saying, oh, well, I don't remember her saying that. But if she claims she said it, then I believe her. And then goes on to say, oh, we were just having fun. You know, we knew she, this woman was obsessed with Paula, but we didn't know this woman was, you know, dangerous. Right. It's like, what, bro? And the other big bone of contention I have is where is there an R in the word Paula? Yeah. That's a good question. Thank you. Because he says Paula. Yeah. All the time.
All the time. Holler was horrendous. Thank you. Wow. Okay, Ashley. Uh-oh. What happened? Talk to us about last night and the party that you went to and the guy that you met. Oh, ooh la la. Hello, little lady. Sweet. I went to this Christmas party last night and... It was for a friend of mine, and I met her at the charity event I did a couple months back. And I didn't really know anybody else there. So it was one of those parties where, like, maybe you know a couple people. And I don't know that those are my favorite kinds of parties because I don't really like to meet new people, like, at parties like that. I'm with you. I am 100%. 100% with you. So there was a good amount of people there, and it was really, really nice. And there was, like, hors d'oeuvres and drinks. eggnog and everybody's having a good time and um i'm kind of being antisocial because i don't really know anybody and i'm like leaning up against like this doorway and i'm texting someone and there had been this guy there and he's like probably mid-20s like late 20s and like like he's like a normal guy like i wouldn't necessarily say he's my type or like that i thought he was cute or anything but i wouldn't say he's like ugly or whatever
But he, like, had been looking at me, like, kind of giving me eyes, and, like, I didn't really think anything of it. Googly eyes? That's right. You know how they do this, where he's, like, every time I would look at him, he'd be, like, staring at me type of thing. Now, when you would look at him, I want to know, guys, so when you look at him, did he look away? Or would he stay looking at you? He would stay looking at me. Kind of give that creepy smile. Kind of give that creepy smile. That's right. Where are you? So could you. That's right. Where are you? Are you any black guy? By the way, everybody driving, put your seatbelt on tighter. No, no. And get ready for what's coming. I would, like, look away whenever he'd look at me, like, not interested. I mean, I made it very clear. Like, it wasn't like I gave him any type of I anything, right? So I'm leaning against the doorway. We're probably, like, an hour and a half into the party. And, like, I'm, like, gearing up to maybe even want to leave. Like, I'm texting someone leaning against the doorway and look up and he's in my face. And I didn't expect, like, he came out of nowhere. And I knew he'd been drinking and, like, he all of a sudden was in my face. And he dives in for a kiss.
Dived in from my mouth. Dived in from my mouth. That's crazy. Molested my mouth. Okay, wow. Wow. And I'm not kidding. What the hell? Plants one. Plants one on me. Wow, the rocks. Yes. Well, obviously you wanted it, right? The texting. The looking away. Well, she was wearing a sweater that said, please kiss me. I was not. You were not? I was way off. You were not. And I freaked out. It caught me so off guard, and I was so thrown off. I pushed him off and back off and slapped the heel out of his fucking face. He slapped his head. Was it like when the doctor hits your knee with the little hammer and you just go whack? I didn't even think twice about it. He went in for that kiss, and I was instantly pissed. Oh, wow. Backed off, pushed, and bam. Oh, my God. Ash, Ash, as best as you can, as best as you can. Do it on Rob. No, no, no. That's not what I was going to say. I wasn't going to say that. I want you, as best as you can, to describe, you know, millisecond by millisecond, his reaction to you smacking him in the face.
I saw, first of all, like, saliva go. Like, ew. I slapped. Nice. And he, like, had instant face of shock, surprise, awe, confusion. Oh, wow. Why did she just do that? Like, almost hurt. I think it was hurt. I'm going to go a step further and say I bet it was physical hurt. Ouch. I mean, he looked like a dog who had just accidentally. That's true. She's very strong. I wailed him, dude. I threw back. I did not hold anything back. Did you have rings on? I was grossed out. I had, like, my one ring on. But it's, like, a silver, like, Tiffany's ring. Like, it's, like, thick. Dude. Dude. So, and I just, like, looked at him, and I'm, like, and I just stared. Like, I was in shock. And he was, like, what, what, why did you, what did you, what is your problem? And I'm, like. Are you kidding right now? What is going on? And we both kind of just stood there, and he kind of looks up and looks just so confused. Oh, my God. And his eyes were, like, filled with water. You made him cry? Oh, wow. Did you chant, cry, cry, cry, cry, cry? Well, you know, sometimes that's, like, the body's natural reaction when you get slapped. Oh, yeah. Absolutely. His eyes were filled with water. He literally had, like, a red mark on his cheeks. Yeah. He's looking up.
confused dude ash what about the actual party like where they just like you know oh my gosh because that that that's that stops everything it doesn't matter if it's a 4 000 square foot house the house stops when something like that happens Well, mind you, people were drinking. There was music. I would say the person, like, the closest to us was maybe, like, five or ten feet. So it wasn't anyone, like, necessarily close. But the people that were, like, five or ten feet away turned around, almost, like, scuffled to, like, whoa, what was that? Like, some people were snickering. Some people were, like, what the heck just happened? Oh, wow. And, dude, Eddie, imagine being that guy. Well, what is he doing? Absolutely. Absolutely. I mean, dude, you better expect some crazy behavior back if you're going to do crazy behavior. But I mean, imagine being that guy from that point on. You're done. You might as well leave. So get this. So get this is the whole part of it, though. And so I slap the hell out of his face.
lip-locked me out of nowhere. Yeah. And he kind of looks confused, kind of looks up, like, what is wrong with you? And so I look up, I'm like, what? And there's mistletoe above the doorway I was leaning over. Yes! Yes! There's a nice little piece of mistletoe hanging. Okay. So I don't care, though, because he's still, like... That's still weird. Yes. A stranger. Yeah. Yes. But if she's standing under it and not moving and they're kind of making eye contact back and forth. He's having a relationship. She's not having the same relationship. And so he very nervously, very awkwardly kind of apologized. And I was like, oh, mistletoe? And I go, so that's why you did that. Okay. I'm still not okay with the fact that you did that. It was so awkward. It was so awkward. That is gnarly. It doesn't. So awkward. What is the mistletoe protocol? I have it. I have an answer. I have an answer. You know the person. Yes. First of all, protocol for mistletoe is you know.
the person. That is first A number one protocol from Mistletoe. You know the person and you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are okay with you putting a smacker on them. Oh, I agree. It's still a two-party system. Yes. You know? Yes. Come on. And I've genuinely never even heard of that, that someone will come up and just plant one on you with no warning, no whatsoever, no introduction. Like, I don't know if that's what you... Because I'm never really around mistletoe, like, that much. Like, I don't know. Is that normal? Listen, I'm not a mistletoe-er. I'm not a mistletoe-er. I don't really... I would feel uncomfortable laying a smack. Is that something people do, though? Like, am I totally out of it? I don't know, Ash. I don't think you ever kiss a stranger. I don't think you ever kiss a stranger. That never happens, right? No, no. I don't know, Ashley. Rob, next time you're out. Because then I felt bad afterwards. I felt really bad, and it was so awkward. And then after that, I just kind of left. I kind of went ahead and left. I can't believe you're trying to kill this tradition. Did you get his number?
Yeah. They're going out tonight. Oh, man. That is insane. He felt so bad. Oh, I wish I saw it. He felt really, really bad. Like, I thought what he was doing was perfectly normal. And he was a little bit, like, tossed. Any conversation, like, of his friends? Were his friends? Did you talk to anybody that knew him and getting he felled in? Like, the friend you came to the party with? No, I went, first of all, by my... What friends would I bring to the party? I went by myself. I thought you said you went with your friends. She can't fit Sammy in her pocket. No, no, no, I went to my friend's party. She can't fit Sammy in her pocket. I went by myself. Oh. 570-1053. Our text number, 35253. You are a delicious lady. That is something else. Should I have reacted differently, though? Like, what should I have done? Like, he molested my face. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What was I supposed to do? You had a, what is that word? Not instinct, but it was a... Reaction? Reaction. A gut reaction. A gut reaction, whatever. And so, but... If you had time to think about it, I wouldn't slap him, but I don't blame, I mean, you can't fault her for slapping him. Yeah, I feel bad now. I think you should have kissed him back. I mean, that's the most action you've had in talking months here. Besides Sammy, her dog, it's the only kiss she's had in a while. He's just saying. He's just saying. I am such an idiot.
570-1053 is our phone number. And P1 Rob is on the line to say it's not that big a deal. Rob, are you there? I'm here, brother. I don't see the big deal. Really? Make out and PB every night without mistletoe. Without mistletoe. Without mistletoe. Okay, now this is my whole point. Because he was drinking, and like I said, he looked like he was tipsy. Okay, I wasn't. Maybe if... everybody had had a couple drinks, that would be something everyone was okay with. Dude, Stone Cold Sober Ashley, not okay with that. If the mistletoe is there, you're good to go. I don't know, dude. No court will convict you. This is what I want to know. Is there a lady listening right now, 570-1053, who says... Hey, if I had it, listen, if I had a couple of cocktails, maybe it wouldn't be so bad. If the guy is good looking, it won't bother you so bad. And there's mistletoe. That's what I was just going to say, Mike. If the guy was good looking.
Maybe you should. And he had come up to me. That's your girl, Skye. Quiet time. It's quiet time. And he was giving me looks. And he was good looking. And he had come up to me and planted one on me. That's your lady. I would not have been necessarily as mad at it. 570. Or black. 570. Either way. The Mikey Show. You guys are just such a great sport for San Diego and everyone listening. There's no place to Target at Christmas to say. Hey. Hi. You going to Doug and Mary's holiday party tonight? Oh, yeah. What are you bringing? I don't know.

Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Center. I don't have to tell you, if you're stuck in this traffic, it's just been a mess of a community. If you haven't left already, give yourself plenty of extra time. You're going to need it. Messed up freeways all over the county. We had a bad and unfortunate fatality accident on the eastbound 94 ramp to the northbound side of the 15 where a car went down the embankment. Looks like that ramp is going to be shut down here. And watch for a backup. You're being advised or avoided for good reason. On the West 94 King Freeway, that is slow and go from college all the way into downtown. You've got the 805 northbound. Solid brake lights out of Chula Vista all the way up into the Golden Triangle. South 15 messed up from the 78th of your Rancho Parkway. And then another struggle from Rancho Bernardo all the way down to the 163 split. And the coaster rides south on the 5. Plenty of brake lights here from Tamarack. That's great. You forget it's there, don't you? No, because it smells. We
We spray painted New York Yankees logo into Rob's head. But I like the pin. And it went really bad. That's weird. It was raining outside. That and, you know, we just didn't do a very good job. Oh, it's too bad. You know, because now what he has is just a big blue splotch on his head. On the front and the back. On the front and the back. It is 840. We have a big storm moving into town this morning. It's expected to drop lots of rain and some snow in the mountains. The Chargers keep their slim playoff hopes alive after scoring 12 points in the final two minutes to get the 22-21 win over the Chiefs. Phillip Rivers says they've lost games like that in the past. And we've lost a bunch of games just like this, where we played as good. Throw an interception, have a fumble, don't play real good, but we win. And so now we're all excited, talking about a win. Whereas we've lost 4-5 like this. And we start finding every reason why we lost. Well, Phillip, I have a suggestion. Don't let it come to that. Oh, I like this. You're better than North. Thank you. Oh, wow. Welcome back to the show. It's a Mikey show. And, okay. First of all, we got to get to these phones because we're getting a ton of phone calls right now. People calling in. They want to weigh in about this Ashley thing.
Ashley smacked the guy in the face last night, kissed her under the mistletoe. Complete stranger. She didn't realize she was under a mistletoe. Guy came up, planted one on her. She, out of like just a reflex, went pow, slapped him in the face. You turkey. Right now there is video and pictures on MikeyShow.com of Boston Rob spray painting his head. And there's pictures of it, the whole thing. So go check them out right now. And it's very cool. So they're all up there. I want you to see them. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. Love to hear from you on the phone or by text about this thing that's going on with Ash. Give us a call. Mikey Show, hello. Hi, this is Evie. Hi, Evie. How are you? Good, how you doing? Okay, I've been a bartender for 12 years. And let me just tell you, I've probably seen it all. Yeah. But I'm coming from someone who drinks often. Yeah. I'm sorry. I would not let... If I wasn't attracted to him, heck no. What if you were? If I was attracted to him? Well, yeah, but Ashley wasn't obviously attracted to him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But if a guy kissed you under the missile... He had to be hot. He had to be hot. Thank you. And if he was hot, you'd be good? Of course. Well, I mean, he'd have to be smoking hot. Obviously, there wasn't a physical attraction, so go Ashley for that one. Because if he wasn't hot, I'd definitely smack the heck out of him. Slap him upside his head. Name a movie star that's hot.
Oh, Brad Pitt. All right, so if he was Brad Pitt, you're good. Oh, it's so good if he was Brad Pitt. All right, all right. What would a guy do? Self-respect. So there's really no actual protocol. The protocol is if you're hot, do whatever you want. If you're not... Forget about it. Maybe that's the deal. Ashley's being honest. She admitted it. She said, listen, if I found this guy attractive and he was really hot, she would like it. So that girl right there, she says, yeah, if he was really good looking, I'd be fine. But since he wasn't, I literally was like, who do you think you are? You've got no right. No right. Yeah. Get off. It's because you know what it is? Your milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard. I know. I heard that. That's the deal. P1 Holly. What's going on? I was just calling. I had, like, the same situation happen to me, except it was at my company party. Oh, my. Oh, my ma. You know how they joke around about, like, your work spouse or whatever? Yeah. Mm-hmm. And it was my work spouse. And I just wanted, like, even if it's somebody you know and all that business, like... Is this Pam? It's a horrible situation for, like, three months after the fact because I work with them, like, all the time. Mm-mm-mm. Did you slap him? Awkward.
Did I what? Did you slap him? Yeah. No, it's like this reaction. That was the other thing is I had the exact same reaction. It was an overreaction. It happens so fast. It happens so fast. How come it's like I'm some powerful woman standing up for my rights and this is my space and don't you kiss me unless you're hot. Then I'm going to hook myself out and don't even give a rap. Hook myself out. Like, I don't know. Like, how is that? Okay, Rob, so let's be clear then. If you were totally single and you were underneath mistletoe and some butch chick came up and tried to kiss you, you would be against it. But if she was super hot. I didn't say I'd be against it. Hold on. If she was super hot. If I'm hammered, you would still be against it. That wouldn't make a difference, Rob. Be serious here. If you were hammered and some big, giant, burly. You know, butch-looking girl comes up to you. But I'm not the one sitting over here going, oh, I slapped him because, you know, that's my right as a man. I think Ashley's trying to say you'd do the same thing, dude. If it was a hot girl, you'd be fine. So you're saying that you wouldn't. Like that last chick that called up. Yeah. Like when I talked to her on the phone, I picked up the phone and she started by going, hell no. What? Hell no.
That's how she started, but then apparently you're talking to her and all of a sudden if it's Brad Pitt, then it's cool. Yeah, Rob. Aren't we all like that? If it was Fergie or if it was Mariah Carey, would you be for it or against it? Don't try to tell me that you'd be for it or against it. I'm not into bestiality. This is why it's so hard to tell. He doesn't talk to Rob. It's so rude. Right there. And he doesn't back him up. Why don't you be... You're not on it. Xermians aren't even real. Well, first of all... They're not real. It's so hard to talk to him when he's got blue paint dripping down his face in the first place. That is true. Eddie. Yeah. Will I get a real response out of Rob? Probably not. I won't. No. It's not going to happen, right? It's impossible. So shut up. He realizes he's a cartoon. He's not going to answer the question. Well, look at him. Oh, man. But I say we've had two women being very honest. We've had Ashley being very honest and we've had a woman on the phone being very honest. But the truth is, are we, and I don't know the answer, I'm asking, are we as human beings like this? Depends on what the person looks like. Maybe it does. You're a real hooker. If it was somebody really good looking, maybe we'd think it was fine. And if it's not, then, you know, c'est la vie. I don't know, I'm asking. P1 Nicole, are you there? Yes.
What do you think? I think that any guy that has the audacity to come up to me, whether he's hot or not, and just kiss me is a real hooker. I think that I would be so upset because something that I did or that they're taking from me makes them think that they can do that. You know what I mean? So even if it was... Okay, question. Question. P1 Nicole. Who do you think is the hottest guy in Hollywood? A guy named Jay Hernandez. He's not really that famous, but he's hot. Okay, let's take Jay Hernandez. I don't know who he is. What's he on? Google that. What was that? What is Jay Hernandez? Is he on a TV show? He's on the movie Crazy Beautiful. Okay. Okay. Wait, you just got Sky. You just got Sky. Everybody calm down. Oh, and Ashley. She's in too. Okay, so I have... Winners. Now, Nicole, let's say that you get invited to a Hollywood party and that Hernandez guy... Jay. Jay Hernandez. Thank you, Sky, Jay. Let's say the real... Google that, ladies. Seriously. Let's say the real Jay Hernandez is there. Just saying.
You're standing under a mistletoe and the real Jay Hernandez, who you didn't even know was at the party, comes up and plants one on you. And you look up and it's Jay Hernandez. Then what? Okay, this is, and I'll be completely honest, okay? Okay. Initially, I would be furious. And then I would be starstruck. Yeah, yeah, because it's Jay Hernandez. Right, but to be honest with you. And you don't recognize him like the rest of us. Yes, yeah. That would just come up to somebody. That is so disrespectful. Right. Well, I agree. You just don't do that. I agree. But I wouldn't be like, oh, I would be starstruck if it was Jay Hernandez. Like, I can't believe that just happened. Right. But it would not change my initial reaction, which would be absolute disgust. That's somebody who, you know what kind of disease people have. Who knows where that mouth has been, right? Don't even dip. That's right. Hey, listen, I'm looking at a guy with. Boston tattooed on his throat and blue paint strip dripping down his head. That's disgusting. You never know where somebody's... That guy's filthy. That's right. You get it. Thank you, Nicole. Nope. P1 Thelma. Hello. Oh, there she is. There she is. Anastasia, tell me... Stop it. Go ahead. This is why men get mixed signals. It's because Ashley starts it off by saying how she was offended this man entered her personal space, but...
If he was good looking, then he'd be on and cracking. It's so stupid. Yeah, it gives guys mixed signals. Like, guys are like, so which is it? Am I good looking enough? I'm obviously super hot. I'm hot. I should be okay. Ashley even said. Dude, he was giving me eyes, Thelma, and I was not biting back. So it's like, take the hint, bro. You know what I'm saying? But he's drunk, and they don't know. Yeah, what are you, rainbow trout? Come on. That's not my fault, Eddie. That's not my fault. Don't tell me you would have slapped him. Eddie, what did you say? I probably would have slapped him, hot or ugly. They'd have been like, I'd be like, listen. This is mine, buddy, all right? These gorgeous lips of mine are not even like that. That's right. And no means no. Yeah, exactly. I want to know what Skye thinks about it. If it was a hottie, would she be all about it? That's right. Skye hasn't really said.
Well, first of all, I'm a married woman. Yes. Roman Hoban. That's right. What if it was Roman Hoban? Let's live that scenario. I'm sure she would slap his face. Don't mind if I do, Andy. Oh, that was your butt. Yeah, sorry about that. Quiet me while I close my eyes for five minutes. Yeah. I love Sarah. Hold on. You know, Roman, I think I'm offended, but I'm not sure. Do it again. Yes. I think I'm mad, though. I think I'm mad. You better do it again. Let's go one more time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's make sure I'm mad or not. Lay one more over here. Oh, not mad yet. Hold on, I think I'm upset. Wait a second. So could you. Come here. You try. Now you go. Still trying to figure it out. Where are the Harlem Globetrotters? Sky, what would you do? Well, if I was a single lady... All the single ladies. All the single ladies. All the single ladies.
See, I kind of thought that's what mistletoe meant. Yeah. So if I didn't know... Well, in theory. In theory. I mean, it's kind of a goof. In theory, it means you're standing under the mistletoe. It's an American tradition. Well, I'd walk around with it over my head like all the time. You can do that. This is America. Listen, I know this is going to be controversial, but I must say, if you're under the mistletoe, ladies, you're asking for it. Well, if you're kind of like hanging out, loitering under the mistletoe. Loitering? Loitering. Ashley. You know, I can understand how a guy can get a mistletoe. mixed signal. Now, I... In 1956... That's why I always go to the BET Christmas party. Shut up. You're so dumb.
The NAACP is having a Christmas party this weekend. Where's my mistletoe hat? So trying to envision myself in that situation, whether... Come and get it. Whether it was a hot guy or not a hot guy. I wouldn't slap because that's just not me. I would definitely push. Me to the testicles. I would push him away and be like, what are you doing? And I would do that to a hot guy or not a hot guy. And they just walked up and landed one on me. Yes. You're a dirty girls guy. That's right. No, I said I'd push him away. In theory, I believe that it is, you kiss somebody if they're under the mist slope. But that's very 1956. Sure. 2008. This isn't 1956? It is not. Oh, my bad. So, in 2008. I'm wearing clothes from 1956. I'm glad you said it. Oh, man. We were all thinking it. We just didn't. We didn't know that. I actually ended myself and didn't say it. 5701053. While supplies last, once they are gone, they are gone. Sweet Barry Wine! Don't come crying to us and be like, dude, I didn't get the CD, man. What's up, bro? Can you hook me up? Whoa. What happened to my mouse? What's up, Mike? I don't know. I was just using the mouse for the... computer here, and the mouse is gone. Did you put it in your pocket? No, I didn't. Did you check your pockets? I just did. It's not in there. Put some cheese out. Was somebody using the mouse after I did it? I don't think so. After I used it? Wow. Is this a practical joke? Oh, Zed, you're so funny. There it is. Why, you. You, little guy. Let me turn this off now. From Eddie's Yesterday email.
tried to build a box to house my Christmas light wires. Eddie? You are so cute. What is this? I'm just saying. I don't need this from you. Stop it. What did you do? Listen, Mike. Okay, so you know how we hung up our Christmas lights last week? Yeah. Well, there's a lot of, like, you know, where the power strip is. It's outdoors, yeah. So the power strips is out there, and there's a bunch of wires that are... going into it right and it kind of looks not only does it look messy but i knew that the rain was coming and so i was kind of freaking out and uh i didn't know what i could do to kind of cover it right and i thought oh well i can either go to home depot and uh you know buy something like maybe you know how they have those covers for like um the hose like garden hoses and stuff yeah that might work or something like that i don't know what i was thinking but i have this extra lumber in my garage that was left over
And I go, oh, I know. I'll just build like a little box and cover it. It'll be perfect. A wire box. Awesome. A wire box. A homemade wire box. A homemade wire box. Must be fireproof. Yes. Yeah. Well, um. Sure, it was painted to protect it from the rain. To match the house, of course. Why would you paint it? Well, because you are adorable. Yes. You are cute. You are the cutest man I know. It doesn't matter. It fell apart anyway. I don't know what I'm doing. You should have called me. So you were just using wood? You weren't using lettuce or anything like that? What the hell is that? Why would you put lettuce on that, dude? It's not a salad. It's an iceberg. A little arugula. Very spicy. It's real peppery. What were you using? A staple gun? A nail gun? A hammer and nail? Goat cheese. I think he was using goat cheese.
It was a Greek lattice. Kalamata olives. Hammer and nails. What do you mean? Sorry, I don't know. I don't own a nail gun. What am I over here? I'm going to make myself a ladder. What are you? Not a ladder. I'm going to make myself a step, like a little step with some steps. What? I'm going to make some steps. Yeah, I wouldn't. I would pay to see this. I have a raised, you know, garden bed in the backyard, and I don't know how to build anything, but I'd like to give building a little step a try. I'm sure it's easy. Oh, no. Someone's going to get that. I say do it. A lot of power tools. How hard could that be? Whatever you do, when you first start using it, make sure you videotape it. I think I can do it. I think I can do it, and I think I can do it well. I'm not saying it's hard, but I just don't think you should do it. Whatever. Like your Miss Fixer Lady.
I'm sorry. I think I could do a better job than you clowns. Oh, please. Because he wants your husband. I help. How much do you love that she's Miss Handy Lady because her husband does stuff? Hey, I'm not saying that I'm working in the trades, but compared to you clowns, please. How dare you? Take that as an install. Well, I do. I would. love to put that to the test. I would love to put that to the test. I am genetically better than you because I am a man. You are so dumb. It is pure science. Science, Holmes. You do not. Eddie, let's do a handy thing and see how great she is. My money is on Skye. I'll put you guys on. What do you mean? I don't know. We'll bring something in here and we'll try to build it. Oh, I'm terrible at this. Dude. I thought you were genetically better. Well, I am. I'll still beat you, but I am bad. Or let's do something where it's like a little challenge, like a relay kind of challenge or something. Oh. You know what I mean? Where we got to build something or we have to do like a little obstacle course. Okay, I call Rob as my helper. Well, no, you don't need helpers. Whoa, wait, no? You don't need helpers?
No helper. All right, yeah. Yeah, I choose the boo as my helper. I changed my pick. Hey. Sorry, bro. It was awesome. She thinks that she could beat us. She's crazy. You're crazy. You don't really think that, dude. Hey, I'm a weekend warrior, bro. Are you guys going to use power tools? Can we save that clip, by the way? Hey, I'm a weekend warrior, bro. The boo does all the work. You stand around and supervise. I help a lot. I'm a helper. Let's talk about how great she is at it. He needed a spotter on his ladder, and she wrapped her body around him. Genius. I was. It's ridiculous. Did he get hurt? No. Listen, I'm terrible at this stuff, but I guarantee I could beat you. You guarantee. I guarantee it. Oh, I take that challenge. I guarantee it. I'll beat you. I bet you come in. Okay. I believe that. You're a female. I bet. Now this is just funny. If the three of us do it, I bet you come in last. Yes, I concur. Are we putting any money on anything? You guys didn't even know what lattice was. We both did. It's what you make a salad out of. Or you could put it on a sandwich. That's right. Or you could put it on a hamburger. Okay. Skye, if you are a fan of NASCAR racing, they'll make you a good driver. So just because you watch your husband don't mean you can do it. I've done things. Like?
Like a lot of things. Like a mosaic frame? Dude, that was back in the early days, and those were legit, okay? Okay, my mosaic frames were awesome. Sky, what's the last thing you handymaned? What'd you fix? Great question. Over Thanksgiving, we tiled the kitchen and the bathroom. Why do you say we? There's no chance you have anything to do with it. I didn't do any of the cutting, but I did all the application and the spreading of the adhesive and the grouting. I did all the grouting. Please. Have you ever ground a tile? She goes to Home Depot like every day. Just because you walk around Home Depot doesn't mean you know how to use stuff. She's more familiar with it than you two clowns. Let's do it. How dare you. How dare you. How many tools are we going? I would love to. I don't know what that is, but I would love to. I don't really want to.
I don't either, but now we're kind of cold. I'm cutting off my toe. Why would your toe be up there? Hold it down. I'll hold down a board. You guys really don't know any of this stuff. We don't know anything. I will not lose this guy. I won't either. I won't either. She's such a big taca. I'm so excited. Walks around. holding the booze hammer and all of a sudden she's Mr. Vila over here. Please. I am a Mrs. Vila. What do you want? All right. It's on. When do you want to do it? I love it. Let's do it Wednesday. Yeah, we got to do this week because we're off.
We're off next week. But like Jay needs to set it up because I don't need you clowns knowing what we're going to do and then going home and practicing. That's fine. I was going to say the same thing about you. Thank you. Practice. He's talking about practice. Get out of here. All right. Let's do it. We are on. It's on. Oh, it is on. Are we doing it here? Yep. All right. Handyman challenge. Oh, wait. What if it's raining? Then we will do a rain dance. I'm not afraid. What's that going to do? Okay, we'll put a tent up. Fine. We're good. We have to have a tent. I'd rather do it in the rain. We're hoping he'll slip into something more comfortable. Like a coma. It's Mikey. On Rock 105.3. Hey, Napoleon, where are you going? So what if the guy threw a shoe at me? Thank you. There it is. The guy goes to Iraq, okay? And he's giving a speech there. And he's doing a press conference. And he's standing up there at the podium. And an Iraqi reporter stands up and he throws a shoe at him. We actually have audio of it. Now, before you listen to the audio, you're going to hear this guy yell something out. And when he yells something out, I'm going to tell you beforehand, before hearing it, he's yelling out something. He's yelling out something that is in another language, I'm guessing Arabic. And he says.
This is the farewell kiss, you dog. And he throws two shoes at him. And the other thing that's interesting to listen for is when they subdue him, it's him in the background that you hear going, It's pretty weird. Cut four. Is there not an Arabic word for camera? I know it. Do they not have a word for camera that they have to say? I think they're a little backwards. That was a little strange. And then here's President Bush responding to it. Cut five. But let me talk about the guy throwing the shoe. There's one way to get any attention. It's like going to a political rally and having people yell at you. It's like driving down the street and have people not gesturing with all five fingers. It's a way for people to draw attention. I don't know what the guy's cause is. But one thing is for certain.
He caused you to ask me a question about him. I didn't feel the least bit threatened by it. No, you did, too. These journalists were very apologetic. You know, they said this doesn't represent the Iraqi people, but that's what happens in free societies where people try to draw attention to themselves. Yes, that is true. Oh, boy. I'll get it. Get that. Let me get it now. It's President George W. Bush. Hello, President Bush. Hey, Mikey. How are you? I'm okay. Uh-oh. Very dangerous encounter. WMD. No, wait, what is that? A WMD. No, that's a weapon. That's a weapon of mass destruction. It was a shoe. A shoe.
Yeah, it wasn't a WMD. You know, actually, Mikey, I would have thrown my shoe, my shoe, back at the guy. You wouldn't? But I was wearing my sweet Air Jordans at the time. Air Jordans. I can see why you wouldn't want to get rid of that. I want the pump. Yeah. Pump it on. Yeah. Right, you get to dunk. Some of the shoes you got on there, Mr. President, came out in like 84. Right. Mikey actually heard it's quite the compliment. In their culture, they have shoes thrown at you. No, it's not a compliment. The shoes are like currency over there. Yeah. I've ordered Adidas to send over a shoe basket to thank them. No, sir. I don't think you understand the culture. No, you don't get it. You don't get the culture. I'm guessing you guys have seen the clip. Yes, we did. You like how I went on Matrix on those hushes? You did. It was pretty cool. You really did. You got nothing on me, Keanu. It was great. I got more range as an actor, too. Oh, really? And I'm a better shoe dodger. Oh, wow. You've actually got a point there. What up, Wachowski brothers? Holla at your boy. There you go. It is true. My reaction time is fast. You know, I thought I could challenge a mongoose.
Whoa. You're not like a cobra. No. The guy threw his Chuck All-Stars at me and didn't realize I was trained in the art of ninjitsu. No, ninjitsu is not real. I trained under my sensei named Splinter. Okay. Splinter. I hang out with my four best friends in the world. Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael. Those are the ninja turtles. Ninja turtles. Those are the ninja turtles. Yeah, they're not real. Those are the ninja turtles. Okay. You're not a ninja turtle. I trained with a midget friend of mine. You did? I don't know what the correct terminology is. Yeah, a dwarf. Yeah, a dwarf or a little person. By the name of Yoda. Oh. Yeah, not a real. I think he had like nuclear powers or something. You were trained by Yoda? Wow. Yeah. That's pretty good for us. Yeah, Yoda midget taught me how to use the suit called the Force. They did? I don't think so. It was kind of tough to understand, though. It's all funny. Yeah, he speaks funny. Yes, he does, President Bush. Yeah, but you guys didn't know that I'm the captain of the White House dodgeball team. Is that true? Yeah, I really know that. Yeah. That's cool. That's great, President Bush. He calls all the plays, but he lets me wear the shirt that says Captain. Oh, that is very nice of him. That's nice of him. Pretty cool. Good guy. That's a good guy. I like everything to do. Wow.
Whatever. Sean. Did I hear something? Did I hear something? Yes, President Bush. That's a liberal. Is that the guy who threw the shoe at me? Yes, it is. Yes, it actually is. I thought so. I'll give you his address. Yeah, because it was coming out of my face and I didn't see any shoestrings on it. You did? Yeah, this is called slew. Is that a slew? Yeah, it was a slew that was thrown at you. It was a slew. He's got you. Well, you know, it may be an insult for an Iraqi to throw shoes at you, but it sure ain't an insult to Fergie. It is not an insult to Fergie. No, she loves it. Does she? Yeah, especially if they're Prada. Oh, really? She went through a pair of Jimmy Choo's at her and she kissed him on the forehead. Is that right? Yeah. Clay Aiken. Oh, I didn't know that. Clay Aiken threw some Jimmy Choo's at Fergie. It's cool. Luckily, the Secret Service are prepared for stuff like this. They carry around a titanium hamper.
They do? Yeah, they throw me in it as soon as somebody does something like that. It's a camper? Yeah. So if somebody's, like, throwing clothes. Right, any kind of Iraqi clothes. You know how they wear those? They'll take a kiss on their head. Well, no, it's not. Sometimes those keep throwing at me. Oh, you're right, Sky, they're towels. No, they're not towels. No. I mean, he's a little politically correct over here, okay? I did not say that. I did not say that. That's awful, Sky. Why would you say that? Oh, look out. Oh, man. I just had a phone thrown at me. President Bush, are you all right? It's creepy. Oh, man. I got cat-like reflexes. Oh, yeah, you do. All right, I'll shout out to you guys later. Thank you, President Bush. Yeah, good job, man. Yeah, there he is, ladies and gentlemen. Wow. It's our president, President George W. Bush. What timing? Yeah, look at that. Wow. How about that? Called in at just the right time. He sure did. Crazy president. Listen, 570. Oh, I got to hang up with him. Our phone number, 570-1053. Our text number, 35253. Is that the Jacksons? Sounds like it. I think it is. When we come back, P1 Trivia. Let's play. You want to play?

He asked me, he's like, but where could I get a haircut like that? Seriously, he doesn't know, like all he knows is barbers. Right, right. And barbers do not cut like the cool, you know, textured hair. So if anybody knows a cool place, maybe we should do it on the radio. Have my dad come in here and somebody can come that's like really good and give my dad, seriously, wouldn't that be funny? That would be great. Dude.

You've got to get those oil changes. And the other thing that Amco can do for you is help you to restore your performance and fuel economy with a fuel induction. So consider these things. It could help, especially right now. You don't want to be spending more money than you have to. Better gas mileage. Take it to Amco. Amco is double A. Beep, beep. MCO. Went in there, was going to get the queen, told them I was a P1. They upgraded us to the California king and took $1,200 off the price. That's pretty amazing. Yeah, it was nice. And they gave us the pillows, mattress cover, sheets, everything for free, free delivery, all of that just because I said I was the P1. There are certain things in my life that I considered no-brainers. You know, at the time that I married my wife, I knew that one was a no-brainer. Nobody's going to put up with the stuff she puts up with and is still real cool about it like her. But there's also things like when I talk about AIS and when I talk about Sleep Train.
These are no-brainers in life. If you're doing anything other than Sleep Train or AIS, it's not the best decision you could be making. Sleep Train is the best decision you could be making if you need a mattress. Those are awesome mattress, too. The Beautyrest Plush Paris. I mean, it's gorgeous. That's nice, dude. That's nice. I love Christmas. I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. I'm just rarely wrong. Sean. You know, I'm really terrible at getting gifts. Yes. Boston Rob. Keeping it the tea. That's what I'm doing. That sounded hard. And Ashley. I don't get along very well. I don't think with, like, normal, boring people. Oh, come on. Wait a minute. It's the Mikey Show on The Rock. Welcome back to Mikey Show. It is 935. The new Keanu Reeves movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still, was number one at the box office, making $31 million. Andre Johnson had over 200 yards receiving the Houston's.
13-12 upset over Tennessee. We got a text message that says Mikey was the guy that threw the shoe at President Bush named Cool Deep by any chance. That's P1 Avery Gray. And of course you know that Cool Deep was actually Sean's favorite 7-Eleven guy. Did he just quit? Yeah, he quit. Oh, it's all making sense now. Some things are starting to come together. I don't think he went to either. I don't know about that, Sean. I don't think it's true. You can never be too sure. I think I'm pretty sure. You cannot be 100% about it. I think I am. Let me see. Is that working? That sounds good. Yeah, it's working. I just got an email from a guy that said, hey, how come your player is not working online? And it is. I just tested it. Yeah, the streaming. It's working, bro. Yeah, brosive. Did I tell you that my brother, my other brother, now is doing a hot dog thing? What? Sam. What the heck are you talking about? Now you go. Did he franchise? Yeah, he's doing the same thing Steve's doing. Like Rockstar? Yeah, yeah, yeah. In fact, let me see if his website is up. I want to show you guys. It is... Now you go. Now you go. Now you go. Okay. You've been robbed. Go to...
I'm just going to make sure that this is not wrong. H-A-O. It is wrong. My bro has a hot dog company called Hog Dogs. Because he's in motorcycles. It's called Hog Dogs. I wonder if I could Google it. And guess who did the website? Steve. Steve-O. My brother Steve. So it's Hog Dogs? Hog Dogs. Nothing stuffy. You're so weird. You are so weird, Rob. Hey, do you have Sam's number? I believe so. Call Sam so I can tell people about his thing. I want to see it, Mike. Oh, man. I think I have it. Wrong. Because I'm trying to look and it's not coming up. Is it linked off the other? Off Steve's site? I don't think so. That'd be smart.
I know. Maybe it is, because that's smarter than I would be, and Steve would probably do that. So you're going to have to buy that idea from me. Nice. What? That's not how it works, Rob. You have to go to Rob's website. Thank you. Oh, wait. Rob doesn't have a website. Yeah, bostonrob.gov.edu. Dot biz. You don't work for the government. Dot cc. 5701053 is our phone number. And what if we did some of this? All you do is call us right now at 570-1053. Now you go. And if you know Mikey Show trivia, meaning it's all stuff about the Mikey Show, then you can play. We do it just like the Dumb Chick Challenge. Got my brother. Dude, I got the website wrong. I spelled the website wrong. What is it? It's SoCalHogDogs.com. SoCalHogDogs. Got it. H-A-W-G. SoCalHogDogs. Got it. Oh, that's a cool symbol, dude. Look at that. He's got a cool logo. Yeah. It's SoCalHogDogs. SoCalHogDogs.com. SoCalHogDogs. It says in Harley's. Right on. Oh, dude, that's a cool site.
Yeah, we did a great event Saturday up in the La Jolla Hills. And we were at this, I just have to give a shout out to the person that had us there at the house. It looked like Hansel and Gretel's cottage. It was built in 1928, I believe, and it was 5,800 square feet of nothing but fantasy. It was so beautiful. This thing had a fire pole that went from the second floor into the kitchen. That's rad. They had raised eight kids, and every time it was breakfast, she'd wrap on the pole, and they'd slide down into the kitchen. No way. No, that's crazy. The fireplace in this house was big enough to stand in. It was huge. That's cool. But we had a great time there, so. Yeah, I like your logo. Yeah, I designed it. It was kind of after a biker T-shirt. I had seen some wings like that, and I just tried to design in. you know, our Harley theme with our cooking theme, so. Food looks great. Yeah, dude. It does. It looks good. Yeah, it looks good on a black t-shirt, which is our, like our little company, you know, uniform. We wear the Dickie shirts, and, you know, we have the hog dog symbol on there, so it's kind of cool. Sweet. Nice. Yeah, it looks really good, Sam. It looks good. I'm checking it out right now. Hey, dude. Hey, dude.
Is it cool if people call you and, like, get it hooked up? Yeah, yeah. The thing that we like to do the most is, like, little private events, you know, come onto the property. We have a New York-style hot dog cart. And we can pretty much do, you know, a lot of stuff out of the cart. The other day we did Mexican for a function and offered soft tacos, beans, rice, all that stuff. So, you know, prices are really affordable. It's really cool to feed employees. Like if you've got a company and you've got, you know, 20 or so people, you know, and above that we can come out and, you know, feed people for cheap. This is a future three-point question. What are the hot dog companies of Mikey's Brothers' names? Oh, wow. Yeah, I know. Steve's a lot farther along than I am. I mean, he's got a whole line of apparel. But it was funny the other day when we did a gig. A girl ordered a sweatshirt from me, and all we had were three little T-shirts because every time people see the T-shirt, they want more T-shirts. Dude, for Steve, man, it's almost like he kind of has the hot dog business to support. He has the apparel business to support the hot dog thing. Yeah, the hot dogs are secondary for Steve. Totally. Totally. People love their clothes. Yeah, Steve is a master of marketing. He really is.
Yeah, he is just, he's a genius when it comes to, I mean, he's done, he's parlayed his picture taking, his videography, his, I mean, everything he touches, he masters and turns it into a great business. Hey, not to get a whole family conversation on the air, but did he tell you about that movie producer that he met, Sam? Yeah, he did. Steve, he's got this crazy look. He's at this Phoenix. He's over at the house of this person he knows in Phoenix, right? It's this girl he knows in Phoenix. And we got people holding on the phone here. We're going to play P1 Trivia in a second. But he's over at his friend's house. And the girl was married to the brother of a famous movie producer. You know the movie Into the Wild that Sean Penn directed? He's the producer of that movie, okay? He is, like, in the family. So he walks in. Well, that's what Steve likes to do is make like little movie stuff and all this. So they get into a conversation. Steve whips out his iPhone and says, here, let me show you this little short movie I made. The guy really liked it, thought it was really cool. Hook Steve up. Steve's going to be working on movies in Phoenix. Get out of here. What? Steve's going to go be like, because they make movies there. And so he's going to be, he's editing a movie for some guy. He's going to be like a gaffer, which means he holds the microphone. Wow. And it's crazy. Look.
But anyway, all right. Steve's the kind of person that when he falls down, when he trips, he finds a wallet full of money. It's the truth. That's Steve. It's so true, man. It's so true. Hey, Sammy, I love the website. It looks good, dude. Well, I appreciate the shout out for that. That's really cool. For sure, man. All right, we'll talk to you soon. I'll talk to you soon. Go ahead. Is your hot dog business going to start? Yeah. I know. I'm the only one left, right? What are you going to call it? Log dog? Yeah, I'm going to call it log dog. Or clog dog. Clog dog. Be like the Swedish thing. Well, sorry. I've already got that name. Oh, all right. Shoot. I knew it. This is Lars Ulrich from Metallica. Yeah. And I have clog dogs already. Marked off. That's a good try. All right, Sammy. I'll talk to you soon, dude. All right, man. Thanks. All right, we'll see you. SoCal Hog Dogs with an A, Hog Dogs. That food looks bomb. It does. I want a T-shirt. I want a T-shirt, Sam. I'm hungry. Okay. You ready to do some trivia? Come on. P1 Giants fan is online. How are you? I'm good. How are you? I'm great. I play P1 trivia. Nice, dude. How long have you been listening? About two years. Two years. All right.
And Sky knows Giants fans because they're both Giants fans. You've been listening two years. How old are you? 27. All right, cool. Let's do this. And your competitor today will be P1 Penguin, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, there she is. An epic battle, Eddie. This is going to be good. All right, Penguin, how old are you officially? What did you say? I am also a Giants fan. Oh, look at you. Yeah, I'm surprised you still have your voice today. Like, normally if you talk to her the day after a Niner game, she doesn't have her voice. Really? She's been screaming all day. Penguin, where are you from? I'm from San Francisco, Daly City. Oh, there you go. Daly City? Yeah. Oh, there you go. Penguin, officially and on the record, how old are you? I'm 29. There you go. How long have you been listening? Oh, gosh. Three and a half years. All right. Epic battle. Let's do this thing. All right. Let's start with P1 Penguin. Do you want a one, two, or three-point question? The winner needs to get the five points. I'm going to go Sky. Let's go two. You got it. Wow. The Sky. Two-point question is, what was Eddie's nickname when he worked at Star 100.7? Oh. Best name ever. Oh, man. Oh, yeah, it is. I don't remember. Oh, yeah, it is.
Me neither, Penguin. You do not remember, Penguin? Oh my gosh, I really don't remember. I'm sorry, Penguin, but the answer is Puff Eddie. You don't have to smile. I didn't know that. I had no choice in the matter. Was there like an abbreviation? Well, he eventually changed it to P. Eddie, and then it was Eddie. Then it was Pitty. And then it was just Edward Combs, and then now I think we're just calling Chetty. Edward Combs, and now it's Chetty. The Cheds. That's true. That's a true story. Let's see. P1 Giants fan. P1 Giants fan. I'll go with the two. You want a two-pointer? Yep. Recite three sound effects that Sean plays. Oh, man. You pick. All right. You go. Now you go. There's one. Now you go. Nope. That one doesn't count because we just gave it to it. Now you go. All right. Yeah. That's one. That's one. You got show me the money. That's one. All right. You got that. And then you got, wow. We put it on the spot. It's hard to think of. You need one more. All right.
There you go. That is three. That is three. We used to have a game. What was it called? Sound effects theater. Guys would have to go back and forth with each other until they ran out. Until somebody ran out. Those were great battles. P1 Penguin. Okay, I want a fun one, Link. I don't want another two. Oh, the two-pointer? Yeah, make it fun, Mike. Yeah, make it a fun one. Okay, this is the same. This question is the same kind of spirit as the last question in that all you have to do is think of one and you're good to go. Are you ready? Okay. Name a food Sky hates. Oh, my gosh. Stinky cheese. Gorgonzola. Thank you. Actually, she loves Gorgonzola. You are a liar. You are correct. You are correct. Skye actually was given Gorgonzola without her knowledge by Eddie, and she liked it. She ate it up, yum. That's right. P1 Giants fan. I'll go another two. Another two. What?
is the name of the new game that is an offshoot of Wuss Rock Jukebox. It's a spin-off. That is incorrect. It is Wuss Rap Jukebox. Wuss Rap Jukebox. P1 Penguin. Penguin, your two-point question is? What is Eddie's wife's name? Wow. Oh, okay. Oh, my gosh. I'm sorry, Eddie. I am not with you today. Oh, no. Why do you despise Eddie? I care about you. I mean, it's terrible. It's cool. His wife's name is Deborah. Unbelievable. It's fine. Whatever. P1 Giants fan.
Man, it's tough. What are you doing? I think I'll go for a three. You're going to go for a three-pointer? Oh, man. What person on the show advertises for proflowers.com? That's Eddie. That is correct. There it is. Oh, man, you know something about me. I appreciate that. Oh, wow. Wow. Well, penguin, penguin, penguin, listen. Eddie really likes zucchini bread, and you'll be coming in on Friday because I'm going to be nice to you, so maybe there's a way for you to make up for it. Can you look at that, Eddie? Oh, yeah, now you know. Now you know about it. We'll be back. Hey. Hi. You going to Doug and Mary's holiday party tonight? Oh, yeah. What are you bringing? I don't know. Why don't you bring a 12-pack of ice-cold, refreshing Corona or Corona Lite? Okay, what the heck was that? What? That's my conscience. Wow, sounds like a game show host. Yeah, it does that sometimes. Anyway, I've been racking my brain trying to think of the perfect holiday party gift. A 12-pack of refreshing Corona or Corona Lite shows you've got manners and taste. You know, something classy but practical. And it's classy yet practical. Oh, well, I'm stumped. Why aren't you listening to me? Um...
Your conscience seems... So what are you bringing? Well, a 12-back of refreshing Corona or Corona Lite. Ding, ding, ding. Finally, someone with an IQ above that of a mountain goat. Sky. What's up, Mike? What were the number one movies at the box office? Well, there's only one number one movie this week, Mike. That is so...
No, no, no. I thought there was like three number ones this week. You're so mean. She is really something else. She is really something else. You've treated her with nothing but respect. Dignity and respect. No, Eddie and Todd. Oh, how do you do that to Mike? How do you do that to Mike? This is what you get. It's truly awful. This is what we do here. The man has feelings. This is what we do here. The man has feelings. He's a human being. I have a heart inside this gorgeous body. Okay, so number three at the box office this weekend was Twilight making $8 million. Number two was Four Christmases with $13.3 million. And number one was The Day the Earth Stood Still, making $31 million this weekend. What do you mean? Your planet. Dude, cut. Can I do that one again? Yeah, I think I could do a better job. I'm going to emote more. Emote. It's so bad, really. Wait a minute. You said it was better than Independence Day. What I said was. That's true.
What I said was it wasn't as stupid as Independence Day. Independence Day is very stupid. It was so stupid. Jeff Goldblum hacked into a spaceship with an Apple computer. He's so smart. Those Apple computers can do anything. I'll tell you why. He had a virus file on his Apple. He emailed it to them, and when they checked their email, they were like, oh, we weren't running virus scan. Dang it. Mike, you should really mention that in your next Apple spot. You can do anything with that. Apparently, Macs are so good. You know how I love Macs. Macs are so good, you could go onto an alien spaceship and put a virus onto an alien spaceship. That's how good they are. That is stupid. Let's take a listen to this cut 57. History has lessons to teach us about first encounters between civilizations. Oh, she was awful, by the way. To rule, the less advanced civilization is exterminated or enslaved. Terrible. Unfortunately, in this case, the less advanced civilization is us. What is she? She plays Secretary of Defense. Yeah, right. Did this guy just yell, hobble him?
She plays Secretary of Defense. A woman. Yeah, dude. Well, first of all, that's unbelievable, Scott. A woman will never be Secretary of Defense. Yes. Why is that unbelievable now? Because if she gets her period, boom, bounce away! Hit the button. I'm so dumb right now. Oh, gosh. Let's hit the nuclear bombs. Goodbye, Red. Dude. I'm sitting there watching it, and I'm thinking to myself, by the way, Ashley's shaking her head at what a Neanderthal you are while she's putting on lip gloss. You're a disgrace. Yeah. I'm watching this stupid movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still, and Kathy Bates is acting, and I go, it sounds like she's reading. Like, dude, listen to that clip again. It sounds like she's reading. That clip sounded pretty good. Oh, my gosh. Sean, play it. History has lessons to teach us about first encounters between civilizations. As a rule, the less advanced civilization is exterminated or enslaved. Unfortunately, in this case, the less advanced civilization is us. Oh, snap. Oh, what great dialogue, too. Dude, please turn the cue card. Yes. No. It's upside down. Come on. Okay, wait a minute. And that Keanu Reeves' character's name is Klaatu. Klaatu. Klaatu.
That was one of four number one movies over the weekend. Sky has a list of the worst holiday movies. Alien. Pride Bay Far is the worst holiday movie. The theme isn't even really Christmas. It's more like Aliens. When the elf jumps out of his stomach. Yeah, remember that? Freaked me out. That's strange. Weird. I saw one the other day that was really horrendous. It was Olive the Other Reindeer starring Drew Barrymore. Is that for real? Are you kidding me? It's terrible. It's on there. No, check it again. And then put it on the board. I just checked it and it's not anywhere near there. The Santa Claus. One, two, or three. There was three of those? Fred Claus. Fred Claus was awesome. Fred Claus is also on here. Doesn't Ernest have a Christmas movie? Yeah. Ernest saves Christmas. Yeah. What about, is there a Croc Hunter movie? I mean, not Croc Hunter. Not Croc Hunter. I meant Croc Hunter. I meant. No, Eric. That's so insensitive. Mike. That's horrible. Mike. Mike. Wow. I meant, never mind.
Reindeer Game? Yes, Reindeer Game is on the list. Wasn't the third Saturday Night Fever Christmas movie? No, I don't think it was. And then Stayin' Alive. A Very Rocky Christmas. Oh, yeah, that was a good one. What's that ice cube one? Christmas All the Way. Black Christmas. Christmas with the Cranks. Christmas with the Cranks. Christmas with the Cranks is on the list. Yes! Nice. One point for Eddie. Put it on the board. I'll share my point with you. That Ice Cube Christmas movie. Yeah, Christmas with a cube. Yeah, Christmas with a cube. Santa Cube is coming to town. Yeah, Santa Cube. I don't see Santa Cube on there. Cubie Claus. Do you see that? NWA Christmas. Shit out of North Pole.
Oh, that's hysterical. Does that look exactly like her? Oh, my gosh. Okay, everyone, go to x17online.com. Send me the link. Dude, that is so weird. Send me the link. x17online.com. I thought that was Photoshopped. No. Yeah. That's not Ashley? No, it's a celebrity photo website. Ashley. X17online.com. I'm not kidding you. Yeah. I thought somebody Photoshopped Ashley into this picture. No. What are you talking about? Oh, wow. That's crazy. Oh, my gosh. Are you seeing this? Dude, that's insane. This is a celebrity website I go to. Who are you kissing? Oh, whoa. Yeah, get away from Spidey. Why is Ashley in a bear outfit? I don't know what she's doing there. That's Photoshop. No, dude. That's on x17online.com. That's her, though. That's Ashley. What were you doing in Vegas? I'm starting to think Ashley was actually at this thing. Dude, Ashley was doing stuff in Vegas we don't know about yet. You're weird, Ash. You are weird. You and Sean at a furry convention. Sean, did you hear that?
I'm sorry, what? I wasn't paying attention. I have a giant hole in my memory right now. That's really crazy. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, it distracted me. I'm sorry I had to share it. Yeah. Getting in behind Spike right there. That is crazy. Oh. That is crazy. Yuck. I don't know what to make of that. Well, let me tell you. If you know what Ashley looks like, this is. It really looks like she's in that picture. And that's something she would do, too. It's true. That's crazy. What were we talking about right now? We were doing the worst holiday movie list. Oh, worst holiday movies. Wow. I would say Apocalypse Now, the scene where they're in Vietnam and going down the river. When does Santa come into that one? I didn't feel at all Christmassy during the whole thing. That's weird. Dracula, bad, bad Christmas movie. Bad, very bad. Die Hard. Get out of here. I give up. What are we missing? Okay, Surviving Christmas, 2004. Never heard of it. Is that Matthew Broderick? Sean didn't make sense.
Never heard of that movie. Eight Crazy Nights. Yeah, I know that one. That was awful. Never saw it. How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Really? Jim Carrey? Okay, I accept this. Jingle All the Way. What is that? That's Arnold, right? Hold on. Yeah, what is your problem? Thank you. That's one of the better Christmas movies of all time. Are you kidding me? Zinbad was in it. Zinbad? Yeah, Zinbad. Zinbad. Zinbad. Oh, Linky. You can buy it at Amazon.com right now. Yeah. The guy that was on, he won with the Arsenio Game Show, right? He wanted to be a star. Yeah, a star. You want to be a star? No, no, no. A star is born. No. Stars on wheels. Stars on wheels. Stars from Mars. Stars, your luck. How many stars did I get? That was the name of the show. How many stars did I get? By the way, they mentioned it's on Blu-ray now. Yeah. When it was offered in Austria, it went under the name, how many stars did I get? Sounds like a great show. It was really good.
In America, it was called Zdazage. Zdazage. Zdazage. Zdazage. I don't recognize either of those words. Zdazage. Okay. Styling Zimbad. Okay. Also on the list, Deck the Halls from 2006. That was it. No, that was Matthew Broderick and Danny DeVito. No, that was Matthew McConaughey and Ashley Tisdale. I don't think so. Home Alone 2, Lost in New York. Oh, that's a good one. I like that movie. I agree. Miracle on 34th Street from 1994. Miracle on Ice. Jack Frost. from 1998. Miracle Whip. And then the last one you didn't get was Silent Night, Deadly Night from 1984. Oh, that was a great movie. Do not remember. I don't know. We have some more news. Naomi Watts gave birth over the weekend. Yep, they had their second baby boy and they have not yet released. Is that Liv Schreiber? Yeah, Liv.
Live. Live. Live. Live. Live. It's live. It's pronounced live. Libby. Libby. Libby. Libby. Libby. Libby. Libby Shriver. Yes. The L is silent. This is a funny story. So Meryl Streep was just telling this story how Dino De Laurentiis, filmmaker and grandfather of Giada De Laurentiis. Gino De Laurentiis. apparently didn't know that Meryl Streep could speak Italian. They were in the same room together, and he called her ugly in Italian. Yeah, I guess they were casting for a remake of King Kong back in 76, and Meryl Streep... That's the one with Jeff Bridges and Jessica Tandy. Jessica Lange. Jessica Lange. Jessica Lange. Jessica Alba. Jessica Lange. Jessica Lange wasn't for that. Yeah, it was Baby Jessica. That's what it was. It was Jeff Bridges and Baby Jessica in the remake of King Kong. What an amazing one. It was great. Baby Jessica played the gorilla? Yes. It's so weird. So Meryl Streep was brought in to audition, and in Italian,
He says to his son, who organized this meeting? She's ugly. Why did you bring this to me? And, you know, she then replied in Italian, and she said his face looked like he had just been shot in the stomach. Oh, my gosh. But needless to say, she did not get the role. She still didn't get it. And then she got Kramer. She got Kramer versus Kramer. There it is. Wow, it all comes together. Has anyone seen that film? It's really good. I don't know about that. I'm sorry I brought it up. I heard it's good. Wow. Why is she telling this story now? She just really hates him. Yeah, I don't know. I know she was just recently on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, and they did a big story on her, which I did not read. I flipped through and looked at the pictures. So I don't know. Maybe it came from that. You know, when she was really young, I think she was pretty. I mean, you know what I mean? Do you know what I mean? I kind of know what you mean. What does pretty mean? I do. I think she's pretty. Do you know? She was pretty in that sort of different, you know, kind of... Ugly way? No. I know what she means. Do you know what I mean? Do you know what he means? It's raining outside. Is it real pouring? Pouring. Holy...
I wonder if it's raining up in Northern California. It's not. It's normal rain. Earlier we were talking about the weather and Ashley said she liked it. I don't like the rain, man. I like to sing in it. You do? You're so ridiculous right now. What do you like? You get all wet, man. Can't do anything in that. What are you supposed to do with that? I love to look at the room. I'm not going to go sloshing around. Okay, okay. I can appreciate that. Look at Rob's head. I can't. Every time I look over, I can't just be off guard. It's so ridiculous. And there's pictures of it on likeyshow.com. What would I be proud of? Are you proud? You did this to me. I didn't do nothing. Yeah, you did. He's been very quiet. I think he's sore. He's sore. Did I say anything? Yeah, I just said it. Did I say anything? No, you get all wet and it'll rain in your eyes, man. I want your mascara to run. That's right. That's right. It smells like a weird cologne. What is he saying? He's a weirdo. He is strange. That's all I can do is smell this stuff.
all you can do. Shut up. Cauliflower. Sean is the one that played it. It didn't make sense when he played it. You didn't need to say cauliflower. Talking about one of my favorite vegetables. Say stuff. You guys want to know who's going to host the Oscars? What about the Oscars? Seth. You were all going to let it go. Yes, guy. You were going to let that go. How dare you. Well said. Red buttons. Nope. Close red skeleton. Oh, even better. Whereas my dad called him this last weekend red skeleton. And I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding. I'm totally. That's a true statement. That is brilliant. He called him red skeleton. Dad. Dad. Come on. You don't know him. Don't say that.
He has said red skeleton. He has said Ellen Degenerate. He just goes with what sounds like it must be right. Like, Dad, the whole thing about her name is that it sounds that way, but it's not that. That's the whole thing. Well, he thinks that people's last names need to be words. Yeah, they need to make sense. Like nouns. It's got to be nouns. Degenerate. Ellen Degenerate. No, Dad. Ellen DeGeneres. I thought I was DeGeneres. Nerd. So the Oscars. Is it Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year, Danny Gantz? Former. Former. Former. Former Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year. Now it's, what's that guy's name? George Eddy or something? Elliot George. Elliot, you mean? No, it's Elton John. Huge Jackman. will be the host of the Oscars. Hugh Jackman is going to host the Oscars. But he doesn't do funny. Wolverine? It's not Tony? I'm sure you didn't say Tony Awards. I'm sure we'll see some Broadway pieces. For sure. Jack Black. Jack Black would be great. Hugh Jackman will have nothing else to do that night because his movie Australia sure isn't going to get nominated.
Everybody I've talked to says it's terrible. I heard it's really long and boring. It looks like Borestralia. There's already a feud over who will be accepting the Golden Globe for Heath Ledger if he wins. People are feuding over who's going to accept it. Yes, Rob, Mary-Kate, and Ashley. Yes, they will. We would be feuding over it. They should have Jake Gyllenhaal accept it. Yeah. There you go. I like that. Longtime partner. That was a movie. That was a movie, though. I don't think he's gone for his life. I wish I knew how to quit you. You didn't even talk that way in the movie, though. This is wonderful. I can't believe it. My mom was expecting me. Hold on. That is really weird. That is really weird. So who wants to do it? Well, his... Sorry. What?
Throw up. You get it. It's a play on words. Eddie just mouthed the word. That deserves a good shot. That doesn't make sense. That's your boy. Yeah, Mike, that's your friend. I told you a couple times. That don't make sense. I get it. It's like the new booyah. Really? A fart sound effect. That's the new booyah. Anyway, he's father. Booyah's the new booyah. I don't think so, man. So Heath Ledger's dad really wants to accept it on his behalf. Right. But the producers of the Golden Globes. They want to fight over it. The producers of the Golden Globes really want Michelle Williams, his ex and his baby's mama, to accept it because more people would watch that. Like people would tune in to see her. That is really awesome.
Oh, that's sad. So they're really trying to push for that. But, of course, Michelle's like, why would I... We weren't even together when he made that movie. Have Batman accept it. Yeah, in the Batman episode. Accept this award. Dude, I hate that voice. I hate that voice. Why did he do that to Batman? I don't know. All right, Tom Cruise. Apparently, his daughter... recognized him when he dressed as Santa. Oh, yeah. I listened to this on Oprah. Yeah, he's that good of an actor that he couldn't fool his one-and-a-half-year-old daughter while dressing up as Santa. Wow. Yeah, I guess as soon as he came out and did his little Santa impression, she goes, Daddy. Oh, that's cool. He kept talking about Scientology the whole time. That was the other reason that she recognized him. That is weird. Okay, I'm not going to get one of these.
Not even one. I can't think of one. Eddie probably will. The list of the most memorable quotes of 2008. What's a memorable quote of 2008? Chocolate Rain. Sweetberry Wine. That's a great quote. Save that clip. Now you go. Lipstick on a pig. Is that one, Sky? Change. There's got to be some Palinisms. We can do it. Isn't that Obama's thing? We can do it. Change this place now. Can you help? You want me to tell you what they are? I can't. I would like to be Seacrest. There's one. There's one. We'll just do the top five. No, just give us one of them. So we get an idea. Oh, right. Money, money, money.
Okay, one of the ones not in the top five is, I'll see you at the debates, bitches, Paris Hilton. When did she say that? When she did her video, her campaign video. That's memorable. I haven't even heard anybody say that. Yeah. So stupid. What else? What is this from? What list? What is this? Come on. Oh, calm down. That's from parishilton.com. Yeah, it's amazing. Every year, Yale Law School puts together this list. Oh, sky. Give me another one. Yale? Okay. Yale is doing this? That's what scientists at Yale are doing? Is this a Harvard? Like, he's from Boston, and so he's somehow making out Harvard. I hate Yale. I expected her to say, like, PerezHilton.com. But Yale. Maybe that's it. Go cure cancer, you jerk. Yeah, if you were having, you wouldn't. I don't care about Harvard. You don't pay that much money to go to school and go see you at the debates, bitches.
That's what you're doing with this. You got blue paint dripping. That's a great point. You know what I mean? No one can take you seriously. Well, he's got the blue paint dripping down his head. This is what we do. It's literally dripping down his head. Sky, give me one more. Number five is the fundamentals of our economy are strong, John McCain. What? I quit. I don't even know him. I hate this list. It is Don't Tase Me Bro on there. Don't Tase Me Bro. Number two, generic political statement. Is that not on there? Don't tase me, bro? That was a very memorable quote. I don't think that was from this year. Oh, you turkey. Don't quote us. Don't quote us. That's a good quote. I am honored and grateful that you have invited me to your daughter's wedding. Is he done? No, on the day of your daughter's wedding, Luca. On the day of your daughter's wedding. Thank you. Well, that's kind of a misnomer. Yeah. Well, I'll just give you the top two because those are the only ones you're going to. The top two.
Number two is... Number two, leave the door open. Number two is from Sarah Palin when she was asked about what newspaper she read. And she said, quote, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years. Oh, that hackneyed phrase. Oh, that quotable phrase that everybody keeps saying. Word for word. You can't escape it in the media. You hear that phrase. It's so catchy. It's so catchy, yeah. At parties, people are saying it all the time just to be hip. Over and over. It's like in commercials now. It's a very... Memorable quote. And then number one is Tina Fey as Sarah Palin saying, I can see Russia from my house. So it's just a slam. Yes. It's just a way to work in some Sarah Palin jokes. Where's Joe Biden saying that Obama's going to have like a nuclear bomb? Not going to be there. Not going to find that as a memorable quote. Not memorable at all. Yes. Something terrible will happen. Yes. How about that as a memorable? Within the first six months of the presidency. Oh, wow. Somehow it didn't make it onto the most.
memorable. How about Bill Clinton saying, I hate my wife? That's right. You never said that. You never said that. That's a vicious rumor. How about not guilty? How come that ain't on there, man? Excuse me. It's my stuff. Well, you use that too often. I didn't know that taking people into a room, not letting them go with a gun is called kidnapping and robbery. When is that a crime? When is that a crime? It's getting to the point, man. I mean, come on. Well, you can't even walk into a hotel room in America with a pistol. I mean, come on. And say. Don't you leave. It's getting to a point where that's now a crime. I mean, what is the world coming in? Is this communist Russia? Yeah, man. Or worse yet, communist China. Yeah, like where are my rights as a robber? Yeah. Yeah, man. Where are kidnapper rights, man? Check this out.
In Iran, a guy blinded a woman using acid, and his punishment is they're doing it to him. Yes! That's right, literally. Yeah, I guess this guy was kind of stalking this chick and was mad at her because she didn't love him back. And so, yeah, he took acid, threw it on her face, disfiguring her face and blinding her. Terrible. And she was there in court and asked the court to please use the eye for an eye sentencing. And they agreed. Wow. Did she get to do it? They're very different. Did she get to throw it? So I guess he has until early this week to appeal if he chooses to. And I wonder how they are going to do this. Like, will it be a very, you know, like, what's the word I'm looking for? A very... Deliberate? Plant, you know, like clinical, like, you know what I mean? Organized. Organized. Prepared. Prepared. You know, what I'm not right now. Enthusiastic. You know, everything I'm not right now. Joyful.
Festive. Yes. Intelligent. Yes. Articulated. Articulated. Yes. Articulated. Articulated. Articulate-ish. I traded Andre Johnson to Zeth. Oh. And Zeth is in the championship? Yes. Wow. Andre Johnson had 200 receiving yards yesterday. Oh, no. Did Sky just... Mike, I don't understand. She does. I don't understand fantasy football. There's no question about Mike. It's a burning hate. I don't understand fantasy football. I don't know that there's ever been a more love-hate relationship where I love her. She hates me. You guys are so Sam and Diane. No, I just don't understand fantasy football. You're such a mean lady. Yeah, mean-spirited. You're mean-spirited. What am I? What am I over here? Michael Vick and I'm in a dogfight?
Wait, what? I don't know. Am I Michael Vick over here? No, no, no. Like a well-scrambling quarterback. A dog-fighting, well-scrambling quarterback. That's the way she's treating me. Seems a little weird. Okay. I'm really articulate-ish. Some guy won the Heisman Trophy. I don't know who he is. I don't watch college ball. He's the quarterback for Oklahoma. He has a name. Sam Bradford. He's one of the Bradford kids. That's true. He beat Tim Tebow from Florida and Colt McCoy from Texas. There you go. He's a really good football player. Well, he won the Heisman. All the dudes nominated were quarterbacks? Yes. Not one running back in the box? No. Oh, man. What does that mean? Oh, man. Hey, bro, I don't know. I don't know. That one was reflex, too. It just came out. I know it. It's like Ashley slapping a guy. It just happens. She just went for it.
With all her might. Like you wanted to give her a little peck under the mistletoe. Yeah. And she just went, wham. And she's like, oh, you want some more? Me. Oh, look at you laying on the ground, stomp. I want to remind everybody, people should know this, but in January, no more texty in the car. Oh, really? No more writing text, no more reading text. I don't know why this is stupid. This also goes for your little emails on your Blackberry. No reading them or writing them. This guy, leave me alone. He's a human being. I'm talking to you, Michael Esparza. Listen, this is what's stupid about the text law. What? Who does... Who's like this? Driving with the phone up. I've driven behind that guy. Going 65 in the fast lane. Everybody does it sneaky like me in your lap with you glancing down. See, they hold it up so they can try to attempt to keep their eyes on the road and the phone. Is that somehow better? No. Obviously. You gotta just hit cruise control and then you can... That's brutal. That is brutal. You are...
No, don't close it. Did you see her? I missed it. What happened? Okay, that one, Skye, I will give you. A woman in our parking lot just went walking by with a Vons plastic bag over her head to avoid the rain. That's funny. She's passing out right now. It doesn't matter who you are. That is funny. You could be from Iran. nothing of our culture, that would make you laugh. Oh my gosh. That was fantastic. Ridiculous. He's out of control right now. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. What am I missing? Oh yeah, no texting in January. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Or what? Fine? Yeah, fine. That's so stupid because I already am seeing just like so many people back on their cell phones. I catch people all the time. Does it make you mad? Me? Yeah, when you see people talking on their cell phones, does it make you mad? Makes me wish I was a cop. Yeah. Well, Eddie, you always wish that. It kind of makes me mad. Yeah. Because I'm like, get off of that. Well, if I have to be on this stupider piece, then so should you. Dude, yeah, that's it. And then the other thing is, every time I'm behind somebody driving really slow, I think they're on their cell phone, and they are. Every time. That's when I get annoyed, when it's like they're pissing me off because they're driving like crap. If they weren't... Bluetooth. On the Bluetooth. Yeah, you gotta get one of those. Well, if they weren't...
Driving slow, it wouldn't make me as irritated. But it's always the slow drivers. Do you, when you're pumping gas, do you think that it goes faster if you're squeezing harder? I do. I'm impatient. And I feel that if I squeeze that. You don't just leave the little latch? That's the thing. I don't use the latch. Because I feel like it's not going as fast as if I'm holding it really tight. It goes a little bit faster. And I'm trying to shave milliseconds off. That's your backup, Mike, right in there. No, I'm serious, Mike. Because I'll use the lever, too. But when it starts to get like, I know it's going to wrap up. Like, I'm impatient, too, because I'm like you. I have ADD. And so I'll get out of the car and I'll squeeze it as fast as it can go. I'll squeeze it tighter. And then it speeds up a tiny, tiny bit. I mean, it shaves off. About a quarter of a second from your gas up time. And I need that shaved off. So I can get to that red light. And wait at the red light. This was funny. This made me laugh. We got a text message. And the text says. I just finished reading your blogs. Eddie says that he helped the boo win money. And Skye didn't even make any mention of it in her blog. Oh really? That's not true.
She just said that the boo killed it. What's up, Sky? No love for Eddie. That's P1 Falsamwood. Eddie is waiting for his apology. I don't. All I said was the boo killed it at the blackjack table. I'm sorry. Credit where credit's due, lady. Do I need a minute-by-minute detailed outline of my weekend? Not until Friday, but until then, just update. You just continue being antisocial over there. Shut up with that. You're so stupid. You're stupid! How many times? Wait with you at the baggage carousel and hold your hand. I'm so sorry. This is how she was all weekend. I'm so sorry. How many times did she hang out with you? Zero. How many times was I invited to hang out with you? Zero. You said you didn't have any money. I can't do nothing. I'm going to go upstairs and watch Wedding Planner for the hundredth time. Oh, that was so good. I watched that yesterday. Did you really? Oh, it was so good. Cried twice. I would make fun of you, except that when I was in Vegas, I went to a movie. I cried twice.
Oh, I invite Rob and Seth to go to the strip with me. I didn't invite anybody to go to the strip with me. I got invited by Rob. Who's antisocial now? You. He didn't invite me either. Wow, he's really a jerk. He only invited Eddie. I didn't want you guys to go. That's the honest approach. That is the honest approach. You're the worst. You are the worst. If you listen to the guy in the clip throwing the shoe at Bush, in Mikey's show translation, I think he's saying, you've been robbed. That is true. I think he did. It does make sense. 570-1053 is our phone order tomorrow on the show. You got robbed. Yes. You got robbed. And what will he be out there asking? We got to figure that out after the show. What about the rain? Rain shopping. Shopping rain. Shopping in the rain. I can't wait to see him being filmed with that blue stuff running all over his face. That's fantastic. Hysterical. Hey guys, don't you think I've sort of grown past this sort of thing in the show? Come on.
Fellas. I'm not a child anymore. Yes. I'm a full grown adult man. I drive a Honda Accord. Yes. Hello. Thank you. Come on, guys. I drive a domestic. I think that should end me something. All the good stories I have told you. That's it. Bye. Take care. Sky, is there anything on there that you really think I should have got out there? I've done it all. Yeah, I think the Sharon Osbourne thing is pretty crazy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so Sharon Osbourne hosts that show, Charm School, Rock of Love, or Rock of Love Charm School, whatever. What's the idea? It's the trashy chicks from Rock of Love with Bret Michaels, you know, that dating show, and they're, like Eddie said, skanks and totally trashy. And so they do this charm school thing, and Sharon Osbourne is the host, you know, to turn them into ladies. You know what's weird about that, though, is like...
That's not necessarily the vibe I think of with her, even a little bit. You mean the sailor-mouthed Sharon Osbourne? Like, dude, why? She needs to go to charm school. Well, it was kind of like, at the height of Paris Hilton's making a night vision porno and doing all that, her mom does this show showing girls how to be young women. And you're scratching your head like, I don't understand. Yeah, because you didn't raise one. Yes, I don't understand this. But so anyway. Yeah, so they're doing their reunion special this weekend. They're taping their reunion special that lots of reality shows do after the reality show is over when they get everybody back together so they can yell at each other again and stuff. And this one chick, Megan, on the show, I guess I never watched the show, but they always say she's the one with the dog. It's a cute girl's name. Whatever that means. I think that's a good looking girl's name. Megan. I don't know any. Megan Fox, man. Megan Fox. Yeah. Okay. Oh, yeah. Okay. Is this the blonde Megan that, like, has been on other shows? Like, she won Beauty and the Geek. I don't know. I won that, too. It doesn't matter. I don't know. I didn't. Which one were you? Season three. No, were you the beauty or the geek? I was the beauty. Oh, okay. Yeah. Sweet. So. What the hell, girls?
According to the police report, in this reunion special, Megan accused Sharon Osbourne of being a fame whore who rides on the coattails of her washed-up rocker husband, Ozzy Osbourne. And I guess Sharon came unglued, ran across the stage, grabbed this chick by the hair, and scratched her face until security pulled her off. Are you kidding me? I want to watch it now. It's very charming. That's very charming. This is how you do it. So the LAPD confirms that they are investigating and that Sharon Osbourne is a suspect. That's weird. Dude, like, Sharon, you have so much to lose. Like, why don't... Idiotic. Yeah, that's brutal. So, Ashley, I so badly want to remember how you revealed the first thing on your... Oh, I was told Eddie. How did you say it in the airport? In the airport. When we were back. When we were back. When we landed. This is Sunday. And the Ches and I are waiting for our bags. The baggage claim. And how did I word it? I said. You want to know what I got away with all weekend? I said, yeah. I said, you want to know what I managed to. Pulled off. Yeah. I said, you want to know. This is pretty cool. What I managed to pull off.
All weekend long. I was worried. I was like, oh, no. Me too. Like, I already knew something was on. And he goes, and he's like, what? And I'm like, dude, I managed to not wear it. You said you forgot. That's how you said it. You go, I forgot to pack deodorant. And I didn't wear it. All weekend long. In Vegas. And nobody knew. Skye. Man. All weekend long. Wow. And I was like, you got to be kidding me with that. She is filthy. Can you believe it, Mike? I was with her a lot, too. Oh, no. She was dancing and all. You didn't smell anything. What? Don't be. Sensational. Sensational. Ashley went to yogurt land. What? Huh? Ordered the mango strawberry pistachio New York cheesecake with strawberry cheesecake pieces and sprinkles yogurt. Oh, my God. It was so delicious. Yuck. And she ate the whole thing. Yeah. Who were you with? Good. Yeah. Who'd you split that with? I, uh. I went for myself. You're all solo on that one? I mean, I don't really... You're such a sad person. I don't have... I mean, I really don't eat. You are unfortunate. Now, then she went... I don't know what to tell you. Now, listen, that was the appetizer, because then she wanted dinner. What? She ate that before dinner? Yeah, yeah, yeah, Eddie. That's weird.
But then she went to the taco shop to get herself her rolled tacos and carne asada nachos. She's allergic to Mexican food. No, no, Eddie, she's a vegetarian. And a Diet Coke. And a Diet Coke. I'm watching my figure. And that's it. That's it, though. That's it. That's it. That's it. I'm like in the taco shop eating my huge yogurt while waiting for my carne asana. People are like staring at me. What is the matter with you? Ashley, you better not ever stop working out. Like seriously. Never stop working out. I can't. I can't. You can't. No, I don't have a choice. Did you say she's part goat? Seriously. Then she ate the guy's apron. Oh, who's that girl gnawing on the cash register? She's chewing on tablecloths. I like to eat. You do. We know. 570-1053 is our number beginning and end of every show. We do open phones so you can call in about anything you would like to. Mikey Show, hello. Hi. Hello. What's up? What's up? What's up?
Oh, man, I'm just glad you brought up the whole cell phone issue. You know, brother wanted to call in and give my take on that. What do you got? You know, I think it's getting a little bit out of hand, you know, really. Like, I'm going to get on my cell, my Blackberry, and I'm going to text while I'm driving, especially in the rain. Come on, seriously? And not to mention the fact I've been seeing the Popo, the man. He'll be on his cell phone, too. You've seen cops on their cell phone? Yeah, I've seen one at the lake yesterday, as a matter of fact. You should have a citizen arrest. Hey, dude, if I... No, they're allowed. They're allowed. They are? Yes. Yes, it was written into law that police are allowed. That is whack. That is not cool. That is straight whack. Why don't cops wear Bluetooth? It wouldn't hurt them. Yeah. Really? Really, Murph, so the cops can get on their phones while they're working? Come on, Murph. You can't be making that stuff up. That's what I read, bro. Whatever. Fine, fine, fine. Murphy, you win this one. I shall be back to cut you again. Thank you. Thank you. P1 Chris thinks that Rob got off easy with the head painting. Oh, really? Hey, what's up, guys? What's up? Well, I'm just going to say, let's go back to his original job description.
Yes. I know. Stunt boy, right? Stunt boy. Right? I graduated. I think he got off pretty easy. You're right, though, Mike. Graduated? It does look like a smurf played bombardier on his head. Wait, say again, Chris? You weren't invited. It does look like a flying smurf played bombardier on his head. It does. It really does. If seagulls were Martians and their stuff was blue, yeah. Yep. And we have video and pictures at MikeyShow.com. Well, I've already been on them all this morning. As soon as they went up, I was checking it out. Nice. B. Russo, you're a good sport. Look at him. He's such a... What do you hate that? He's so good for him. Oh, unbelievable. Next call. He's unbelievable. Oh, gosh. Hey, guys, I got some stuff to do, so we're almost done. Hey, can we wrap this up? Hey, let's go. Hey, Mike, do your testimony thing. Let's do this. Oh, my gosh. Hey, hey, hey. Do your Jesus stuff and let's get out of here, all right? I got some stuff. I got to know you. Yeah, you drink a lot. Here we go. Come on. Sunday, hit it. Come on. Passage, whatever the name of that song is. Come on, play it. What is it? Mikey Show. Hello.
Dad, I had a question for Mikey. Yes, go ahead, please. Yes, in Vegas, Mikey, what kind of music do you like the DJ to play and what kind of drink do you have in your hand? Well, when I'm thumping and pumping, I like it. There's a few things. There's a few different types, you know. I'm into any kind of hip-hop, R&B. I like the little... I'll roll a little Little Joe. I'll do some, you know, I'll do all of it, dude. Pretty much any of it. The only thing I'm not liking out there right now is, you know, Bow Wow. I don't like me some Bow Wow. What about Fat Wayne? I like Fat Wayne, dude. Play me some Lil' Fat Wayne. What club? I like to go to Yancey's. Sometimes I go to that place, that new place at the Bellagio. Candy Cane's? Bubble Butt. Oh, Bubble Butt. I go to Bubble Butt over at Bellagio. She's actually there. Not that far off. I am actually very proud of my Bubble Butt. Holy Toledo. Mikey Show, hello. Hello. Hello, you. Hello. Yeah, go ahead. Sorry. You remember last week how you were talking about the UPS coming up to your house with a Penske truck? Yes, I do.
Yeah, I was talking to my girlfriend just the other night, and she was listening to her radio station that day. Yeah. And I guess they did that exact same bit, because, I mean, she told me the story word for word exactly how you said it. Dude, it probably happened to another DJ, because it was FedEx. Yeah, it was FedEx. Turns out she was listening to us, too. Yeah, yeah, she didn't realize she was listening to us. But it was probably just another DJ that had a FedEx thing taken to his... I don't know, it just... Did it, like, word for word, what Mikey was talking about. Well, if it was exactly the way that I said it, then maybe. But, I mean, it would stand to reason that somebody else that's on the radio could have gotten a FedEx package from a guy in a Penske truck. Because from what we hear, FedEx gets a bunch of Penske trucks. Yeah, I recently saw a Penske truck recently, too. Damn you, Tony and Chris. That's right. Those two. Always stealing our bits. Are they still here? Thank you. Mikey Show, hello. P-H-I to the L-L-Y in the hizzy. What's up, dude? Sorry I couldn't make the trip to Vegas, but you know, not everybody's rolling fat like Scottie these days. That's right. Mane, mane, mane. I had a question. I got my first MC gig. I'm doing the midnight study break at San Diego State. What does that mean?
What does that mean? They hired a couple of DJs to just do like a study break kind of a thing. They're playing music and party games and stuff like that. So I was wondering, because you did this successful third day MC job, I was wondering if you had any advice for me. Oh, yeah. I am the king of entertainment. You know, I... Yeah, what party games did you do? Yeah, dude. We did... Spin the bottle. Really? At the third day show. Yes. Interesting. You know, pin the donkey's tail. Pin the donkey tail. Pin the tails on the donkeys. Pin the donkey tail. Nice. Dude, please. You know who you asked that question to? Rob. Rob does that stuff. Really? Yeah, the Rizzy. When he goes in MCs, you know, he does games and all that stuff. I go there. I'm a lug head. I'm up there. Hey, how you doing? Great. Thank you for coming here. Drive home safely. And my name's Mike. Bye.
You put yourself down too much, man. Dude, I'm just being honest with you. Honestly, I try to be really, really honest about my appraisal of myself. If I'm good at something, I'll tell you. And if I'm not very good at it, I'll be honest. I'm not very good at emceeing. And when I go there, I really am like, hey, how are you? My name's Mike, and I have a radio show, and it's really nice to see you here tonight. Okay, third day. Honestly, that's what it's like. I'll tell you the things I'm good at. Breakdancing. I'll tell you the stuff that I'm good at, you know? Anything to do with hip-hop, I kill it. Cross-country track. Cross-country track. Hey, thank you, Philly's Finest. All right. All right, we'll talk to you later. Let's see. The lovely and talented Missy is up next. Today on the show, Double Shots on the Nooner. It's your rainy day edition. Squat, squat, squat. That's right. And tomorrow on the show, you got robbed. We will see you back here tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock. The Mikey Show's out late.
