Welcome. It's a Mikey show. It's 6-0-6. Well, we have another day of rain today. This storm from Alaska is expected to bring a chance of hail and snow to parts of San Diego. The Pro Bowl rosters were announced yesterday, and the Chargers are sending a whopping two players. Oh, well. Chris Dielman and Antonio Gates are the only Chargers representing the team. Are you serious? Yeah. Different from sending nine last year and 11 the year before. It's what happens when you don't have a very good year. Yeah. I heard that John Carney is going to the Pro Bowl. Can you believe that? Well, he's 99 years old. It's impossible. 98, going to be 99. 98, going to be 99. Got it. Yeah, he had a great season with the Giants, and, you know, Giants are winning, so he got noticed. It's so trippy. It is crazy. I trip out on guys that, you know, they're not working, and then all of a sudden they get gigantic jobs, like when Kurt Warner was a... you know, bag boy or whatever, stocking shelves in a grocery store and suddenly became a football player for the Rams. And then, like, even Tatum Bell. Dude was selling cell phones after he got dumped from the Lions. He's selling cell phones. And I thought about that. And I thought, you know, what was his paycheck when he was with the Lions? And, you know, how was the money being used that when it was,
the paycheck stopped that he had to go to cell phones. Yeah, that is odd. You know what I mean? Right. Um, which who knows, man? I mean, you got it. You have to make money. How, you know, somehow you got to pay some of those bills. It's not the fact that, uh, it's a bad job. It's just, well, dude, it's a, it also at that point for you is a resort to job. Definitely. I don't think his passion was selling cell phones. We don't know that. It could be. We don't know that. It could be that when he was a little boy, he said, I want to do that. It could be. It could very well be. Some big, giant stories out there that we might as well hit straight away. This Brian Giles story is gigantic if you haven't heard it. Nationally, Pretty big deal yesterday that the guy that is the host of the show, the Fox show. America's Most Wanted. America's Most Wanted. John Walsh. They finally closed the case on his son's murder. Wow. That's huge. Now, here's the deal. John Walsh has always sort of, sort of known.
Who the killer was. But it was never confirmed. And they closed that case. And so that's. What an amazing feeling. He's been doing this for what? Like 30 years. Trying to bring criminals to justice. And all because of his own kid. And to have that done. Man that's a gift. It is. I was thinking about it man. You know how I always. Think of stuff on the road, and I remember where I was on the road. Oh, yeah. So I'm hearing the news yesterday, this news, because it came after the show was over, about John Walsh. And a lot of people always ask the question, why does such a terrible thing happen? Why does such a terrible thing happen? And I don't know. You know, I don't know the answer. None of us really know the answer as to why terrible things happen. But I do know this. I know that John Walsh has helped a tremendous amount of people that he would not have otherwise helped in this way. Yeah, very true. I mean, he's changed the laws, you know, to help find children faster and to speed things up. I mean, he's changed so much when it comes to that. He has.
And so, anyway, the guy is oddest tool. And they've always thought that that's who it was. But this guy, do we know? Like, how did it close? Why now? What happened? Yeah, well, it's weird because this guy died in 1996 in prison while serving five life sentences for other murders. And police say that they've now conclusively linked him to the murder but declined to give specifics about the evidence. Okay. So that's really all we know. And it was, again, all the way back from 1981 is when his six-year-old son, they were at a Sears or something like that, and all of a sudden he turns around and he's gone. So anyway, that's great that he's got closure on that. And the other big news in the sports world is the Pro Bowl announcements and all that. So we'll get into this. Now, let me introduce really quickly. There's seven people on The Mikey Show. It's myself, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston Rob, and Zet. There's seven of us. Big cast. And by the way, open phones. You can call if you want. 570-1053 is the number. Text number, 35253. And our answering machine number, 858-715-1923.
are just too shy to call in. And you just don't feel like it. You're not feeling it. You know what I mean? Hey, what's up, guys? Hey, I got a little thing. I'm debating what to get my wife for Christmas. I don't know if you guys got any good ideas. So if you do, and if I listen, we appreciate it. Thanks. I would say Weber Grill or Beer of the Month Club. Ooh, I like one of those names. Probably both those things would be really good. Yeah. Grand Theft Auto 4. Dude, she would love it. She would love it. Yes. This sounds like stuff you guys want. Or any subscription. Yeah, yeah. Sports Illustrated. Women, you know, love it. Yeah. Your wife would just cherish you. And you get to read it after. Yeah. If you have time. If you have time. Yeah. If you have time. You could also do the jar of girly feelings. All right. Hey, there's my friend. Here we go. The suggestion. The jar of girly feelings. Now he's just blatant about his disrespect. It's not even clever anymore. It's just the jar of girly feelings. I don't know what the title of it is. You've called it the jar of emotion. You've called it the glass case of emotion. Such a jerk. He's a fan.
It's a mason jar with little notes in it with memories that you've had with your lady. That's sweet. She loves that. Your ladies love that. Skye, Ashley. Yeah? What's good? What should he get for his wife? A mug of feminine products. Okay. That's definitely not what it is. Like crayons? Like a mason jar with crayons, but instead it's... Wow. Well, um... I don't know. Yeah, ladies love it. Yeah, girls, we always like, at least, you know, for me, I always like pajamas. Pajamas. Pajama? Yeah. What about pajamas? Pajamagram. Yeah, pajamagram. I also like flowers. Pro flowers. Those are really sweet. My wife likes insurance. You can never go wrong with jewelry. Jewelry is always a hit. Robbins Brothers. Get her a BMW. BMW Encinitas. Hey, I see what you're doing. What about a new mattress? Camp for the price tag and a good night's sleep, ladies. Absolutely. Get her on the back. Gift that keeps on giving. No, come on. What do you got? What do you ladies? What do you want? Well, I like thought-provoked gifts, personally. Thought-provoked gifts. Room, vacuum.
So I would say put some thought into it. Whatever it may be. Whatever it may be, put a little bit of thought into it. One thing that I think is really cute is like, you know what? I can't even hear myself over here. Nonsense. And it's Swiffer, Dad. It's Swiffer. Yeah, you guys better check yourself. You know, he's a guy. Dude, that's what my dad would say. Ask yourself a Swifter. Yeah, go to the Swifter. I saw a degenerate doing a Swifter commercial. Yeah, Ellen Degenerate was doing a Swifter commercial. I saw it on American Online. What would be great for you, Ashley? Well, so I was saying, like, you could do, like, a 12. Oh, okay. Come on, I want to hear this. Shamwow. It'd be like a 12 days of Christmas. You know, you can get 12 gifts and you can start real small, be creative and work your way up and maybe have the 12th gift be like... Oh, so much work. Oh, that is a ton of work, man. So what would the gifts be, though? Come on, do something that ain't so hard, man. Tidy bowls. Plus, the past 12 days. Give me some mittens. There's not 12 days left. There's like 9 or 10. Holy cow.
You know what also is nice is like jewelry or a picture frame that's engraved. That's always nice. With like a picture of you guys in it. I always like stuff like that. There's a website I think it's called, and I saw it on that Cyber Monday. I think it's called redribbon.com. And they sell gifts. Just gifts, you know. And you can click on ladies. You can click on men. I don't know how they do it, but they figure out what we want. Nice. And get stuff there. It's pretty cool. 570-1053 is the phone number if you want to give us a call. Hey, Mikey Show. This is T1. Rach, just had a technical question. You're not going to get this until after your Vegas trip, of course, but I think we have a problem with the podcast. With your phone, you mean? I don't know if that's how it's supposed to be. Talk about the podcast. Occasionally, I'll get, like, a Friday, but I'm not getting every day, so I want to make sure there's nothing wrong. Um, or there was nothing I could do. Um, like for this week, I only got Monday show, which is very sad because I listen online when I can. I'm up in Fresno. Um, but when I can't, you know, listen to it delicately at work, I like to be able to download the hour by hour. Um, but I haven't been able to do that this week. So that's more of a technical question. And, um, I can drop a line and email to whoever I need to on the site as well.
But I just wanted to give you guys a heads up, wondering if anyone else had the same problem. All right. Thanks, guys. Bye. Others have had the same problem. And this is a very, very good question. And the answer is that they are all there. All of the days are there. But when you go to the website and you look for our podcast, sometimes it can be a little confusing. And Boston Rob will explain how it works. Well, once you've clicked on the podcast section and you go there, you're going to... only see dates for every past Monday. Okay. You look at the top of that page and you should see little articles to click on that are each day of the week. Once you click on that, it will bring it to that day. So the other days are called links. I'm not hip with this interweb. The other days are at the top of the page. So you're only seeing Monday. Why do they do it that way? Yeah, that's stupid. They just switched it over. I have no idea. I'm not. I don't know why either. And here's what we should do and we will do. Do it. When people click on it, I want people to see an explanation, like a brief sentence that says, all days are here.
I wish you could click on it and it would go to that day. And then if you wanted to go to the other days, you could click on Friday or Monday. But when you click on it, it goes to that day. Let me tell you what would be ideal for me. And you guys tell me if you think this is a good idea or a bad idea. But when you go there, it's that day. And if you want other days, you just scroll down and they're all in an order. Or you know what would be sweet is if it was actually like a calendar. And you click on the day of the calendar. Dude. And then there's the podcast for that day. I like you. That's good. I like that better. I like that best. Can we do that? Otherwise, if you want to find two weeks ago, you're scrolling, you're scrolling. Dude, yes. Oh, I love that idea, dude. How do we do this? Sky, take care of it. No, I know. Sky's got it. Correspondence. I like it. You're good. Get her done. Speaking of get her done, I am wearing my Larry the Cable Guy outfit. You are ready to work. What's that, a mood? Listen. We're competing, hopefully, we're competing in the Handyman Challenge today. It's raining cats and dogs outside right now. And so we're trying to do the Handyman Challenge in our performance studio. Because, you know, it's going to be me, Eddie, and Sky competing today in this Handyman Challenge because Miss Pocket Wrench over here. Miss Independent. Miss Independent. She thinks that she's Miss...
fixer lady. Because she's got a husband that knows how to do everything. Exactly. I'm not saying I'm the best, but I'm saying I know more than us clowns. You're saying you know more than us clowns? Yes. That is what I'm saying. That is the statement that has been made. All I know is that if either Eddie or I can come in third place as long as Eddie wins. Sky loses. Yes, that's all that matters. It's kind of two against one. It really is. Alliance? Yeah, Alliance. She's confident. You're dead. That is not fair. Oh, man, you are so dead. She really does believe that she'll do better. No chance. I'm good. I'm not messing around. We'll see. I don't know anything and I can be you. I know even less and he doesn't know anything and I know even less than that. I'll beat you. What? How about that? Science, Holmes. Okay. It is science. Yeah, if this were an ironing challenge, you would kill. That's not true. I'm horrible at iron. I know, but you're better than me because you're bred that way. No, I am not. That is a lie. That is a lie. Yeah, I got Jimmy the Greek in trouble. Hey.
If this were a contest for soaking in the bath with some nice candles. This was a rolling and money contest. Yes. There we go. That's right. Shut up. You would kill us. Whatever. Money, money, money. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. And our answering machine, 858-715-1923. Hey, Mike, it's P1 Podcast. I was just wanting to say, listening to Boston Rob compare Sky to Godzilla was the funniest thing in the world. I was at work. I just started cracking up. I started tearing up and really started looking at me funny. Asked me why. I just had to explain to him how funny you guys are. All right. I just wanted to say, love you guys. Now you go. Now you go. Now you go. Do you remember that, Rob? Yeah, yeah. That was last week's You Got Robbed. And what did you say? We played it on the air. I remember I was like... This girl didn't know who Sky was. And I was like, how do you not... She flies her helicopter around screaming at people. That's right. Godzilla. And then you said that it was about ham, remember? Yeah, I said she's a ham connoisseur. We don't need to relive it, everyone. I think we know.
That was fantastic. Sky would just gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, go It's for old people that think Home Depot is too busy. It's like Ace Hardware. It is. Which, you know, it's kind of my speed. I like it. I'm rolling in there. It's me and a bunch of old guys. I love it. I bought a new power strip, went home. unplugged the soaking wet one very carefully and water poured out of it. I'm like, okay, well that's probably why it doesn't work. I was very careful about everything. Plugged it in, the new one in, plugged everything in and nothing. And I was like, oh no. So I got that little device that you kind of plug it into your outlet and you can see if you have power in there or not.
And I didn't have anything. Okay. So I'm like, I don't know how to fix that. I don't know what I'm doing. Right. So I go and I go, well, maybe it's a breaker. I'll flick, I'll flick the break. Flip the breaker, which I did. That still didn't work. I'm like, well, I'm screwed. I don't know what I'm doing. Was it a GFCI element? Okay, listen. She's showing off because it's a handyman challenge. That's what she's doing. No, I'm just saying. No, it wasn't. It was the TRD, okay? No, the GFCI. It was an elemental piece. It was the TLC. It was the one like you have in the bathroom. The EIIO. Oh, yeah. It was the ADD element. Yeah, that's right. Yeah. They're a little lateral. So, yeah, I called P1 Harold, who's an electrician. He said, got any thoughts? And he said, yeah, you need to reset your GFI outlet. I don't know what the C is. Did I put a C in there? Oh, okay. Oh, well, you were just wrong. You were trying to show off. I don't know.
You should do the RCTY. Yeah, was your CCI working? The RCTY. R2D2. YMCA. Great. Reset the C3PO. Yeah. So, yes, I reset the GFI outlet, and it worked. Oh, good. Yeah, everything works now, and I bought a... Like a garden hose box that you put your garden hose like you cover your garden hose with. I put that over the wires and it looks great and it protects the wires. So everything works, hopefully. It's safety. That's awesome. So, yeah, I'm stoked. Eddie, I thought of you because I know Santa Claus is coming to town. Oh, no. Big deal right now. Put one foot in front of the other. And soon you'll be walking across the floor. And he loves them. Put one foot in front of the other. Was it on last night? I had TiVo'd, Mike. DVR'd. Sorry, DVR'd it. You're right. I don't even have a TiVo. I don't even have a TiVo. I know. And yeah, I watched it last night with the wife and loved it. Sing every song. Acted out all the scenes. I think my wife was getting annoyed, but I don't care.
Wow. Topper, dude. He's the best. What does he do? You don't know who Topper is, but you know me. What does he do? Obviously, he's the lost little penguin who is in the North Pole when he should be in the South Pole. Oh, my gosh. You guys are wearing a scarf. It's the best. Oh, my gosh. So awesome. Hey, listen. He loves us. Those play... Stop motion. Stop motion. And... Photography. No, animation, Mike. And the only thing I have to say about that is... There'll be no time for Christmas this year! Take a bunch of Mr. Burger! Take that. Take that. Thank you. I had the website wrong. It's red envelope, not red ribbon. Red envelope. That's different. Redenvelope.com. They should have called it Red Ribbon. That makes more sense. Yeah. Isn't that like an eight thing? Yes. That's why they didn't do it. Probably. Redenvelope.com. Red Robin's got two. Our French onion soup. That's right. Oh, yeah. Delish. And the fries. Oh, man. Let's talk about that. Talking about Red Robin? Yeah. Oh, dude. That honey mustard. Oh. Something else.
Only thing I like at that place is the Royal Burger. I thought you used to love that place. Got a fried egg in it. I thought you used to love Red Robin. I like the burger. I like that one with the egg in it. I'm not a steak fry fan. What? I'm not. Too hearty. It's tough. Wow. They're too hearty for me. They don't need to be that hearty. I think they can be much hearty. That's a tough boat you're in there, Mark. I think they can be much less hearty. Uh-oh. Eddie? I'm about to get schooled. Please. P1 Fred? Yeah. What's up? Mikey Sky was actually right. I hate to defend her. She's such a beating. Hey, I'm not. I'm a nice guy. What happened? She's right. It's ground fault circuit interrupter. Whatever. I've never heard it called GFCI. I've only heard it called GFI out. Get Harold on the phone. Okay. She's probably right. I trust you. I've never heard that before. So I'll make sure. And I like how there were like 800 people calling and Zeph dumped all the calls. And he wasn't going to put one through until I called him on it. I'm like, really? Really, Boys Club? You're not going to be with me still? Calling him out. Well, he was going to pretend like it didn't happen. If it was the other way around, he would have put all 800 of those calls. And that is horrendous. That is horrendous behavior. What's up, dude? What's up, Zeph? You know, Sky, I was pulling for you before. Oh, no.
you weren't if you dismissed every single call until I called you on it. How many times have we said something wrong on the air and we get 9,000 phone calls? Oh wait, can I read the I am conversation? Scroll back a little bit. It's funny. This is a funny conversation. So stupid. Sky. texts, or yeah, IMs him and says, GFCI was correct, right? She's saying, that's what these phone calls are, huh? Because all of a sudden, all the lines started to lighten up. She says, is that what people are saying? And he types back, yeah. And she writes, and you didn't let them through? Question mark, question mark, question mark, question mark, question mark, question mark. Brutal. And he says, there were 600 of them. I have one up right now. And she says, now that I called you on it, Boys Club. Oh, my gosh. And then she looks over at me and she's pointing to the call screener like, you better take this, mister. Because whenever I say something wrong, we always seem to get a call about that that makes its way through. Oh, yeah. Boys Club. Good morning. She's right? She is right. Yeah, she's right. GFCI. Don't most people just call GFI?
GFI is correct and GFCI is correct. Yeah, GFCI is correct. GFCI is more of the household term, GFI. Usually that's the electrical, the electric language. I can't wait to get in there and compete with her. She is such a no-head. You guys tried to ruin my confidence. I was like, oh man, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. And how dare you say that this one thing really had you question yourself. I don't know. What is this hammer thing? I'm not sure. It's directly related to this morning. You go clockwise or counterclockwise. I'm so confused. I don't know. Righty tighty. Lefty tighty. I don't know. Thank you, Harold. Thank you. So dumb. Padoopadoop. That is the official... Unbelievable. That is the official electrician of the Mikey Show right there. No kidding. And... All right. Ladies and gentlemen, when we come back, I'm going to tell you about what's going on with Brian Giles. There's a lawsuit that has been filed against Brian Giles by his ex-girlfriend, and the claims are massive.
And so I will tell you what they are when we come back. Today we will be introducing to you A Very Ashley Christmas. The record. Yeah, that's right. Yes, the album A Very Ashley Christmas. Are you interested? Made with love. Deafening love. Hopefully this handyman challenge will get underway just after 7 o'clock. We are feverishly working on doing this indoors for you. Also, bringing back Secret Crush today. Why? Why are we bringing back Secret Crush today? Because we got a doozy. We got a doozy. Got a lyrical gangster for some Motley Crue. And hand her tickets coming up in a bit. And I don't know if you heard it, but O Side of Rice is Sky's new Christmas song to all you key ones. We'll play that when we come back along with the Brian Giles story. Give you both. Mitch Hedberg in the stand-up spotlight. All right, all right. This suit is held together with safety pins, so I can't move very much.
It will fall apart. I was going to have my teeth whitened, but then I said, screw that. I'll just get a tan instead. You know what, man? I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with them later. I got a nice hotel. I love hotels. I met the girl who works at the front desk of my hotel. She gave me her phone number. It's zero. I tried to call her from here. Some other woman answered. I said, you sound older. I got a lot of vending machines. I like it when you reach into the vending machine to grab your candy bar. That flap goes up to block you from reaching up. That's a great invention, man. Before that, it was hard times for the vending machine owner. What candy bar are you getting? That one and everyone on the bottom row? I sound like you have whining little kids. This is the Mikey Show. The reindeer were using their noggins. They hitched a free ride on the penguins' toboggans.
For gadgets and gizmos and more for their dollar. Come with us. Everyone hollered. The penguins got cameras and blitzing TVs. Your printer bought games. And shiny CDs. When asked why they shopped there, this answer they gave. There's no place like Target at Christmas to say. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey. What's up? Hey, this is P1 Matt. Hey, I just want to thank you for hooking me up with Sleep Train. Went there two days ago. We got. Stearns and Foster, just like you, and went to Santee Sleep Train. We got the bed for a price that I can't even mention on the radio. And then they gave us all the accessories, the sheets, a really nice bed frame, a mattress cover, you name it, everything half off. You slept on it yet? No, we get it delivered tonight. Lucky. Can't wait. Love it, dude. We didn't get the exact same one you got. They showed me the one you got, but we got one of the other Stearns and Foster's, and they're all nice.
They're so awesome. That's awesome, dude. That makes me happy. Call me back and tell me tomorrow morning how your first night's sleep was on that Sleep Train mattress. Yeah, I might have to take Friday off. I'll be feeling too rested. I'll have to go take an extra day. Or maybe we can join them. Yeah. For a nap. Is it cool if we come over and take a nap later? to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. Looks like you've got pretty much a slowdown on every single freeway in town right now, which is probably a good thing. People are actually slowing down, being cautious. The rain is really dumping in some areas of the county, so give yourself plenty of extra time. You're definitely going to need it. Right now, there are almost too many accidents to even talk about. I mean, I could be sitting here for like a day and a half telling you about all those. I'll just give you the slow spots here. Right now, on the south bay, 805 northbound, pretty jammed up from Plaza Boulevard, slowing down all the way up into the Golden Triangle. So, yeah, give yourself some extra time on that freeway. There was a bad overturn crash blocking lanes near L Street and the northbound 5, still clearing that. Watch for backup behind that one. Your east county commute, there's plenty of stuff on the West 94 and the 8-Feeway, just in pockets off and on out of Lemon Grove and La Mesa, respectively, into the city. South 15, you've got the heavy back up here coming out of Escondido off to 78, all the way down into Rancho Bernardo, then again to Carmel Mountain Ranch. The coaster ride's really not too bad here. You've got South Ponce out of the 5, a little tight out of Encinitas, and in Solana Beach. That Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Let's see. What do I got? P1 Ross. Hey, I switched to AIS.
I gave them a call. I took your advice. I was with a mom-and-pop company, right? Yeah. And I was paying $200 a month, but for no reason they upped it to $300. And that's when I called AIS, and they gave me a quote for less than what I was paying originally. So now they're saving me $1,800 a year. Dude, that is awesome. Yeah. You are saving up to $1,800 a year? Yeah. They cut it in half. That's amazing. Yeah, and I drive a sports car, and I'm 21 years old, so I was excited about that. That is awesome. Hey, dude, thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Yeah, no problem. Thank you. What I tell you about AIS is the solid gold truth, and I mean that from my heart. I use AIS myself. My wife uses AIS. Their phone number is 1-800-777-4247. 1-800-777-4AIS. Or try their website, AISinsurance.com.
And Ashley. I will use an obscene amount of toilet paper. The Mikey Show is on. It's kind of like a stink lineup. Sure, yes. You know. Rock 105.3. 641. Coldplay's label has had the Coldplay Satriani mashup pulled from YouTube. Satriani is suing Coldplay for plagiarism. The Manning brothers are headed to Hawaii in the Pro Bowl for the first time together. Peyton was named to his ninth team, Eli, his first. Oh, wow. How about that? Wait, Peyton was named to his what? Ninth. Oh, my. I wonder if anybody holds a record for most or if, like, the highest amount, there's a whole bunch of people up there. I could look it up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a good trivia question. Great question from Spaceboy. Spaceboy's like, so do we get to watch this handyman challenge or what? Well, we're having to do this all stuff on the fly. You know, so we may be doing it, well...
If we do it at all, it's going to be done in the performance studio. I don't know that there's going to be enough time to do the, what do you call it? The web? The interweb? So you can watch it on the interweb? Hundreds of songs now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I understand from the, on the interweb, you now get hundreds of songs. Yeah, that's true. It's really great. It seems almost limitless. In keeping with the spirit of that, if you want to order clothes on the interweb, from what I understand, all you need do is print out a quick and easy order form and fax it over to the manufacturer. Oh, my gosh. That's it? So easy. Wow. Technology. You can choose parachute pants, comfortable baggy pants. Wow. So they have options. Yes. Yes. That's the great part. These are no pleats. For Pro Bowls. Eddie, what do you got? Well, there is a tie with 14 Pro Bowls. Merlin Olsen and Bruce Matthews. Merlin Olsen played for the Rams and was on Little House on the Prairie. Bruce Matthews, I'll tell you. He was an offensive lineman for the Houston Texans. Well, close. Houston Oilers. Houston Oilers. And Tennessee Titans. And then for active players, our very, well, our formerly very own, Junior Seau. It has 12. Whoa!
I heard he was retiring. No. No, no, no, Sky. He is not. No. My bad. Why did you... Junior, are you? Maybe I'm wrong. Junior, are you retiring? I'm not retiring. Oh. I'm so upset about that. I'm graduating today. Okay. Okay. The saliva's flying all over the place. Four years ago. I don't know why you're so upset. So anyway, about the handyman challenge. I suppose we could let a couple of listeners... First of all... Oh, calm down. Before everybody freaks out. We've got to find out if this handyman challenge is going to happen here. Yeah, well, because the original plan was we were going to do it outside. Everybody could come and watch, but who knew that, you know, the world was going to flood today? Hurricane Andrew happened. Yeah, we didn't know. Yeah, well, we knew. We knew, but we didn't know that it was going to be this bad. Right. I don't know what we're going to do. I would like to do it indoors if we can. Do it indoors so that we can still... I just want to show Skye that she's not as great as she is. She is, though. I'm pretty darn good. We'll compare to you guys. I'm the best. Should we send Riz over there and see what's the latest? Go give us an update. Give us an update. Go find Jay in the performance studio. What is that?
Where do I go from there? I don't. Where am I? What are we talking? North? Where do I turn left? Forget it. Dude, which left? Do I need my car? But it'll definitely be videotaped and put on the website. This message is for Sean. Have you seen the show called Human Wrecking Balls? Oh, you ass. That just came right out. That came right out. Hey, maniac. Maybe he had it planned for future episodes. What's the deal, Sean? Sean TV. Is it on Sean TV? Oh. You don't have to punch the microphone. Maybe he's upset because that's going to be on Sean TV. Poppycock. P1 Ludog.
Well, let's leave it for later then. Mikey, the only way the ham lady... Yes, I've heard of it. Okay, fine. All night. The only way the ham lady could win a challenge is if it was vacuum hero or iron hero. Letting down your gender. Oh, no. Mikey, have you ever heard of Christmas with Weezer? It's the best Christmas album ever. You should check it out. That's P1 Dobber. Fine. I'll take a look. You won't. I won't? No. No. Never. You won't even give it a second thought. What if I do and I don't like it, but you don't think I'll actually go and even check it out? No. Eddie's probably right. Before we went to break, I told you that there is something big going on with Brian Giles that's making gigantic news here in San Diego today. Of course, Brian Giles, baseball player for the San Diego Padres. And Jay just walked in the room, so we will have an update from Jay in just a moment after we hear about what's going on with Brian Giles.
Yeah, well, a lawsuit has just been filed against Brian Giles for $10 million by his ex-girlfriend. Now, they met him back in 2001 in Houston, and then she moved in with him in Pittsburgh when he was playing for the Pirates. Then he got the gig with the Padres, and she came here, and, you know, by his request, come here, I want you to live with me here in San Diego. They lived together, were engaged for a while, the engagement broke off. But they still maintain this, according to the court documents, a marriage-like relationship all the way up until April of this year. I wonder what that means in legalese, a marriage-like relationship. Does marriage-like relationship mean that we lived together and continued having sex like husband and wife? That's what I assume. They lived together. They had relations like man and wife and probably also financially they shared finances. But they were not married. No, they were never actually married. So she claims that he was very abusive to her emotionally, verbally, and physically. And the topper is that earlier this year, she claimed she was pregnant with his child, but he abused her to the point where she miscarried. No. No, no, no.
Yeah, so Giles, people have no comment on this case. So everything we know, basically the only things we know are her side of the story. So, you know, this is all alleged at this point. And I guess, you know, it'll be up to the courts to decide or whether he wants to settle or give a statement. We still don't know. That is a gigantic story here in San Diego today. All right. Let's hear from our promotion director, Jay, about today's handyman challenge. All right, we are set. We're in the performance studio. Nice. Nice. Oh, man, are you so excellent? Jay, that's awesome. Jay got it done. Jay got it done. I was worried about the final stunt, but we're all good to go. You're great. Awesome. Oh, no. You're great. So get ready, guys. Jay, Jay, I'm going to hit you up with something big. If you can't do it, I understand. But if you can, cool. All right. How hard would it be to get this on the interweb? Oh. The www? Yeah. How hard would it be to www up the blogs and get the... Let me think about that for a moment. Get the space webs. How many... Yeah. I've got to hunt down. I would have to hunt down some equipment here in the building to see if I can get it. How long can you get it? Just my tube it. Yeah, yeah. My tube it or... Well, for sure we're all set up to video and we're going to have it up. JPEG it. We can have it before the end of the show up on the web. Blog tube it. Blog tube it. Blog tube. We're videoing it. All right. I'm going to blog it.
All right, cool. Sounds good. Good. Good plan, Jake. So, Spaceboy and all you P1s, P1s, by the way, Mikey Show listeners, all you P1s, we will videotape it and get it up really soon so you can see it take place in its entirety. I'm going to do so good. Plus, we'll have the great play-by-play team of Ashley and Rob. Thank you very much. Thank you very much, everybody. Enjoy, everyone. Sky. Is that your voice that you're going to use? Like Colleen, the action voice. Good. Did you do any preparation, Skye? Like what? I don't know. She doesn't need to. Did you do any sort of, like, prepping? No. My husband did mention one thing to me last night about hammering a nail. Because...
You don't know how to hammer a nail? Boy, oh boy. Don't try right now. It's really tough. Well, he's seen me hammer a nail before, and he knows I'm very scared of smashing my fingers. We got this, Mike. We're dealing with this. So he was telling me. Put it on the board and nail it. He was telling me a way to hold the nail that, you know, lessens your chances of smashing your little fingers. You needed a man to tell you what to do. It's cool. Hey, listen, Eddie, you know, all you ladies listening, if you need to figure out what you're going to do, just ask a man. Your husband will tell you what to do. That's right. If you need to know how to nail a hammer, ask a man. If I need to know how to act like a baby when you're hungry, I'll ask a man. That is uncalled for. That is uncalled for. That is uncalled for.
I don't even know what you're talking about. Hang on a second. Just because your husband almost passed out in Las Vegas. That was a very dangerous situation. That was a dangerous situation. It happens. Yeah, we almost had to call an ambulance. That's right. No one had to call an ambulance. You don't understand because you guys don't have to. You women, you don't have to go through any pain. Anyway. When we come back, ladies and gentlemen, we will play A Very Ashley Christmas. What is that? A Very Ashley Christmas. Very special. How would you like that? Very special. Awesome. Okay, so check this out. This is what we're going to do, too. Oh, by the way, Christmas is next week. Yeah, next week. We're talking like, what, eight days?

My wife makes spaghetti the same way that my mom made spaghetti. And they didn't even communicate about it, which I think is really great. That's awesome. You know, which just is so strange, you know, how you find qualities in your spouse, you know? Yeah. It's so delicious. And I've gotten her to stop using turkey. Ground turkey? Yes. You know, and the reason that I have is it's kind of like, you know. It's kind of like ordering a hamburger with a Diet Coke. Yeah. Turkey. I mean, come on. You're eating it. You know, do it up. Of course. I finally got her to go to the ground beef. And what she does is she mixes the spaghetti sauce and the pasta, the spaghet, together with the, you know, pasta. She puts it in a casserole dish.
and she sprinkles shredded cheese on top of it and bakes it in the oven. Wow, that sounds good. Dude, it's one of those deals where I'm like, oh man, I was probably done eating 20 minutes ago. You know, I was probably done. I should probably stop. But I'll have one more. But I'll do, yeah, one more pound. It's 7.02. The White House has issued an apology to Elizabeth Hasselbeck saying it was an oversight that she wasn't invited to their Christmas party. The Aztecs new head coach Brady Hoke was introduced to the media yesterday. Hoke talks about the expectations for the team. This program is going to be a program that's based on toughness. To play football at the Division I level, to compete academically at the Division I level and balance both, you have to be tough-minded. You have to be physically tough and mentally tough. This also is going to be a program. where we're going to play with unbelievable effort every time we take the field. That does not sound like an understanding dad when you come home with a report card that needs to be signed. It needs to be signed before you take it back. And there's two Ds. Two. Two. Most you've ever had up to this point with that dad is one D. And it was bad.
And you're about to get your learner's permit. That's not going to happen anymore. And you've begged for an Xbox 360. For Christmas. You've begged for it. And you can tell that it's wrapped it under the tree. I mean, it's the right size. And you guys are outside playing basketball and he starts bouncing it off your head. Yes, yes, yes. What do you think of that, you little girl? You gonna cry? You gonna squirt? You gonna squirt, huh? You gonna squirt out of the eyes? You gonna cry, little baby? Come on, girl. Sky, do you know what that reference is? I think I told you about it. Yeah, you did, but I don't remember the name of the movie. Great Santini. Robert Duvall. I don't know if he was nominated for Best Actor, but let me tell you, he... really becomes the meanest dad in the world. That was my stepdad, 100%. That's what Sean says. That sucks. Great Santini. All I have to do is watch that if I want to see my childhood. Awesome. Brutal. Dude, I mean, just terrible. Okay, so before we went to break, I said that there are three new city council members who are proposing something that is going to make you go,
That's what's going on now? What is it, Skye? Well, in their new proposal, which they released yesterday, they said that tickets, VIP tickets to luxury boxes at Qualcomm and Petco Park, those tickets going on in the future should not be available to city council members any longer. Like they are now. Like they have been. Yes. Luxury box? Yes. What? VIP. Yes. Oh. Yes. VIP boxes. Yes. Why? I think because the city has like a stake in, you know, like Qualcomm, like they're involved somehow. Oh, come on. I think the city council has a good answer, but. Yeah. So I remember a story, I believe it was last year, where they were checking the log of who these tickets were actually going to, and they were seeing like shady business. Well, now they're saying, yeah, we can't have this anymore. These tickets that are given to us.
should no longer be used by city council members, and in the future, they should go to community volunteers or be raffled off to charity. Yeah. That is brutal. So that proposal will go before the city attorney for him to review. Mm-hmm. But the only, you know, in my understanding of what I read, the only reason this is really coming to light right now is because the California Fair Political Practices Commission. What? Yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm part of that. You are. Eddie's on it. California Fair Political Practices Commission drew up a new law restricting city officials from accepting free tickets for events, even if the city, you know, owns a stake in the venue. So they have to. Yeah. So basically. So it's not out of the kindness of their own heart. No. No. What is that? What is that? They're not just doing the right thing. No. No. No. Would you like to hear Ashley's something new with Ashley? We have something new with Ashley. What is it? It's a very Ashley Christmas.
I don't understand. I think you're going to look. He's smart. Are you kind of understanding the lyrics to your favorite Christmas songs? Sick of singing along during the holidays? Then we have the perfect album for you. It's a very Ashley Christmas. Your favorite blonde will belt out your favorites in her own special way. Oh. Who could forget or recognize this little ditty? Do you feel like opening your presents as we speak? I'm sure this will warm your heart. Do you want to watch us? Do you want to watch us? Do you want to watch us? Do you want to watch us? Do you want to watch us? Do you want to watch us? Celebrate the holidays with this amazing album. Unless you're a Scrooge or have good taste in music. Buy it today and let your ears start bleeding with Christmas cheer. She's got one eye open. It's a very Ashley Christmas. Wow. I'll tell you what it did put me in the mood for. Come here, Ash. Okay. That was... I am not going to order it today.
That was filthy. I will sing you. Pass on that. Really good. Really good. It's not as good as her usual singing. I think that, well, because I think that when she sings normal, I think she's great. What do you mean normal? What do I mean normal? When she takes it serious. No, it doesn't sound serious. She had to think about that. Wow, that is really good. That was very uncomfortable. Thank you. You ever heard her do System of a Down? I'd rather not. One version software, version 7.0. What the fuck? I'm going to let it rain, Jetty. Who is that? A little voice. That's not Ashley. It is. See, it's because you don't think she had that kind of range, but she does. But she does have that kind of range. I can see how you would be very shocked at the range that she has. Merry Christmas, you guys. And to all the good night. You ready to do the handyman challenge? Oh, I saw it. I saw it. You guys are cool with the sauce, all right? I'm sorry to freak us out. Quit challenging. Don't.
Don't freak us out. Mike, you know how to weld, right? Shut your filthy gutter mouth. You can't weld? No. When we come back, we're going to find out who the best handyman is. Me, Eddie, and Sky. Or woman, or woman, or woman. You can use a bandsaw, right? Handy person. Our phone number is 570-1053. Our text number is 35253. Mikey's show continues on The Rock. Let me tell you, Starbucks is doing some really, really cool stuff right now. What I mean is that they had this 20% off special going on, and they ended it a few days ago, and then they changed their mind. They're going to keep doing it now until the 25th, right up until Christmas. So if you are buying gifts, and the gifts are things like whole bean coffee, like that Christmas blend, like they gave some of that to Ashley, Starbucks said,
Drink this. Or if you're looking for those gift packs. Or if you're looking for packaged food and tea, the serveware, the tumblers, the CDs, brewing equipment. Now's the time. 20% off. That's a lot. That's a lot. Now something was $100 goes to $80. Look at me for the math. They can do this. This is great. Go in there and get yourself some Starbucks items for 20% off right now. Hey. Hi. You going to Doug and Mary's holiday party tonight? Oh, yeah. Hey, what are you bringing? I don't know. Why don't you bring a 12-pack of ice-cold, refreshing Corona or Corona Lite? Okay, what the heck was that? What? That's my conscience. Wow, sounds like a game show host. Yeah, it does that sometimes. Listen, it's getting to the point where I should not be surprised at what they do, but I'm still surprised at what they do. Wait till you see this on MikeyShow.com a little bit later on this morning. You haven't started yet. Sorry, I'm just practicing. Eddie's picking up his DeWalt power tool there. That's right. He's ready to go. That's all I'll use. Well, basically what we're doing is... I don't know what that's going to be. Eddie's putting his hard hat on. Why? Wait, wait, Rob, what did you say? This is a hard hat area, miss. Yes, it is. Yes, it is. You need to put your hard hat on, Skye. Skye's got her hard hat on. Oh, that looks good. Oh, that looks great. It's like you were born in it. We're all going to be wearing, Eddie and Skye and I are going to be wearing yellow hard hats. Get her down. Let me describe what I saw walking into the room. First of all. Take care of your head by wearing your helmet. Because it's raining today. Because it's raining today.
We cannot do the handyman challenge outside, so we're doing it in our performance studio. Right now, I'm in the performance studio, and here's what we have. We have three wooden horses set up, and the wooden horses have long two-by-four necks at the end of them and attached to that. is on the other side of the 2x4, we can see blue breaker boxes with wires sticking out, which I can only assume we're going to have to do something with at some point. Oh, no. I'm terrible at that. On the ground, in front of us, are the power tools, a wrench, or excuse me, not a wrench, a Phillips screwdriver, a regular screwdriver, and a hammer. Oh, and... I like that you called it a wrench, though. That was a good start. Yeah, I know. And a, I'm assuming that is called a jigsaw. Oh, God. That is not a jigsaw? Oh, this is bad. Right, a handsaw. Oh, my. Jigsaw is in that movie, bro. And we also have the tie-around tool belt, which Eddie's already got his tools in his tool belt. Oh, yeah, buddy. And so does Sky. I think your positioning is wrong. You don't know anything. You irritated the tool gods. Oh, wow. Oh, wow.
Ash, can you hold my microphone for me? Yes. Yeah, Riz, come over here. Where should I go? Who? Me? Who's the Riz? Rob still has blue spray paint in the back of his head. Yep. Laugh it up, Chuckles. Chuckles. That's weird. Guys, is that what you wear, that hard hat, what you wear when you go minor? What's going on with your head up here, dude? I don't go mining for gold, Rob. Mining for money. Shut up. Can you just grow up, please? Money, money, money. Okay. Oh, my gosh. It's dangerous. I'm just going to throw that out. I got butterflies. It's dangerous. I actually don't know what that is. I don't either. I don't want to go home. Oh, my gosh. Do you just want the first one challenge at a time? Just to talk about it? Oh, you put that there, Mike? Oh, my gosh. That thing needs more power. That's all it needs.
Scott, where did you have yours? Where did you have your hammer? Oh, I see. Oh, my gosh. Well, because I'm a certified electrician, I knew exactly where my hammer goes. Wow. You've irritated the tool gods. This is great. Okay. Really, Sean? Yes. Okay. How do we do this? So the first challenge is pretty simple. You've got three screws and three nails, and it's the first one to get all six of them in. Oh, my gosh. Can I just nail the screw in? Yes, Eddie. Thanks. Go for that. This is going to be great. We've got three screws and three nails. The first person to get through that is the winner. So hammer the nails and then screw the screws in? Hammer the nails, screw the screws. Okay. And we've started them so you have less chance of killing yourself. That is good. I appreciate that. That is very sweet. That's a sweet idea. Hey, Eddie. Eddie. I just realized that's a really good idea. Eddie's got the DeWalt. Power driver. And I was going to just try it with a Phillips head screwdriver. You are adorable. Great strategy. I like that. I'm going to do that too. That's the first challenge. That's easy. Now, Ashley and Rob, you guys behave yourselves. Take turns calling this. And you guys are going to call the action. Rob, don't talk over me. Rob, don't.
That's what I'm afraid of. You see, that's what I'm afraid of. See what just happened there? Talking at the same time. Actually, I'm way over on this side of the challenge, and I can't see too good over there, but with that flannel shirt and all, it looks like Tim Allen's over there. Oh, yeah, yeah. I don't know, Rob, but to me, that looks like Richard Karn. Who is Richard Karn? Sean? Sean? Is there a reference to the show? Is the guy's name on the show? You guys are cool. Toll time, is it Richard Karn? Okay. is Richard Karn, the actor. That's a real name. His name is Richard Karn. I thought that went down great. You know what? You don't appreciate a good reference. It's fine. Me and Eddie are looking really confused at each other and Skye is just ready to go. Shouldn't you guys be focusing on the hammering? You're not appreciating our show. Okay, so the first challenge, screw in three screws, hammer in three nails. No problem. Yes. Ashley, do you have any favorites going into this now that we know what the first is? Yes. Skye is going to kill it. Oh, please. I don't know. She is. Watch. Eddie's got this handled. And in three, two, one, go. Oh, my gosh. Okay, so Mike is the only one so far that has actually connected the screwdriver into the screw. Eddie's nail is wobbly. How's it going, Sky? It looks like everyone is stripping.
They're screws. What's the problem? Sky can't get hurt. Sean, everyone is stripping. Like, Sky has completely stripped that screw. Oh, no, I hear it. Mike has worked on to his second screw. That is not a good sound. Nobody is doing anything so far. Sky is having a lot of trouble. She thinks the screwdriver might be on reverse. Mike is winning. Mike's getting it. Mike has got his second screw in. What is wrong with your gun? Mike's got one in. Actually, Eddie is having trouble. Now, Eddie's helping him out. My job, bro. Mike is hammering very carefully right now. Fully stripped one of her screws. She has to move on. All right. That's not good. Eddie has moved on to the hammering. Oh, Eddie's winning, too. Come on, Scott. Okay, Eddie's hammering, too. Oh, Eddie is pounding those nails in, passing up Mike for the lead. Eddie now.
I'm telling you, man, I feel bad for Skye. She had smoke coming out of that screw. Yeah. Something was going on with that guy. She was drilling it so hard that it was smoke. Eddie's got his second nail in. Both Eddie and Mike working on their third hammering of their nail, and this mission is complete. Nothing. Skye's got nothing. Okay, I just looked up for the first time. Okay. You did great. I killed it, Mike. Hang on. Hang on. First of all, Eddie's got in three screws and does he have in three nails? He's got in three nails. I've got in three screws and one and a half nails. Sky has in no screws, no nails. I would like somebody to accomplish that. Let me show you, Sky. Let me show you how you do it. Here, hold this for me. Mike, you have to look at this screw right here. It is stripped. I'm exhausted. To the point it has a hole in the middle of it now.
putting all my body weight on that and it wasn't going in. I was way off. Okay, Mike. You shouldn't have to, Skye. See this right here? This is called torque. Oh! What's up? Let me show you. Okay, Mike. Just throw that sucker in there. Just pull that torque down a little bit. Look at that. Oh, no. I didn't even know that existed. Oh, no. Okay. In your face. Apologies, please. I don't know. Mike is still struggling. Mike is still trying to prove his point. Look at that. Jay comes over and in a matter of three seconds the screw is in. You did a great job, Eddie. Mike is still trying to prove his point. Okay, wait.
That's my drill. That's my drill. Let me tell you something. That's one cranky drill. Oh, no. Oh, look at Jay. Look at Jay. You gave me a bad drill. You ground the top of the screw out. Oh, oh, oh. Just so you know. Go ahead. I missed it. As I threw the... Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Jay, almost. Jay almost knocked his own contraption over. When I hit the last nail in, the hammer flew out of my hand and almost hit Nick right in the head. Are you serious? I'm sorry. You're going to lose a limb. I'm sorry, Nick. I'm celebrating. I'm sorry. is really sore. Okay, so... You didn't even do anything! Now, wait a minute. She had... I gotta give her credit. She had all of her body weight on that one screw, and if you come over here, you can see all the metal flakes that have come off. I had the right technique. I saw smoke come out. No, I just didn't know about this torque thing. When the smoke came out, I figured I had to go tell Skye, I think that screw's stuck. Now that a man's explained it to you, you lost it. Oh, wow!
Now what are we doing? Now what are we doing? Now we've gotten through the first part. Unfortunately, Skye might still come back. Okay, so this is simple. All right. No big deal here. So each of you have a saw. Yes. And all you have to do is saw the end of the 2x4 off, and the first one's 2x4 that hits the ground. See, this is all about strength. This is like the lumberjack challenge. This is stupid. All about strength. If you have the right technique. Skye, and besides that, Skye, do you really think that I'm stronger than you? I mean, give me a break. Well, okay. Good point. Yeah, if anything, it's not fair with you doing it. All right, are we ready? All right, come on. You've got this. Sack it up. Okay, everybody get in your places. Okay, don't open it. Is everybody ready? In three, two, one, go. Okay. Eddie's on a good pace. Eddie's on a solid, Mike is on a solid pace. Sky's entire thing is wobbling. Eddie is halfway through and... Man, it looks like there's a chainsaw over here. Mike is right behind him. This is quick. They are sawing through this quick. Oh, Eddie is a wild man. He has just thrown his hard hat. I'm sawing. I am sawing. Get it, Mike. A second. Eddie took it. Eddie took that for a second. Eddie, what was he testing right there? Throw up. Okay. Dude. Okay. That was so hard.
Look at Skye's. Okay, so Eddie was first to chop that board. What do you want for me? This is all about strength. I got my board next. This is stupid. And Skye, she made a little dent. She made a little dent. A little dent. By the way, you'll see all this at MikeyShow.com. I am not going to be able to lift my arm tomorrow. Mike, I don't think Eddie's doing okay. Eddie, all you got to do is reach deep inside. You know how most of those workers have like those big water coolers in the back of their trucks? Right, right. I need one of those. Me too. Does anybody have a balance bar? Does anyone have a balance bar? You're fine. So we got, does it even matter? I mean, do we even go to the third one? You have to. This is worth three points. Yeah, this is a big one. Okay, so how does... Oh, this last one looks scary, dude. There's a diagram. It's got me freaked out. I don't want to do it. This takes serious skill. Right, Jay? Yeah, this is the... This takes it up a little notch here. Jay, I have a question, though. Okay. What the hell is this? We're looking at electronics here. Electronics. So my question is... Electronics, yeah. My question is... Electronics here. Is there...
Any opportunity for us to get shocked or electrocuted. So what this one is. Okay, he didn't answer. He did not answer. It scares me because I'm dumb, dude. Sky, Sky, I wouldn't just start touching wires. They're not plugged in, Rosa. Oh, I didn't know that. We've left everything unplugged. We're kind of cheating. We have the, basically we've left everything unplugged. But what we're putting in is a light switch. So we've got two-by-fours running up, and we put lights on the top of them, have the wires all run into the junction box, and we have light switches for you guys on top of each of the boxes. Wow. Above that is a diagram showing you how to properly wire a switch. Oh, my gosh. So the challenge is, firstly, we've bared the wires. Everything's relatively ready to go. Relatively ready to go. You just have to know where to put things. The challenge is to get your light switch put in, all the way installed, and then the first one, obviously, you think would win. Well, I would keep going if it was the second and third because what we're going to do is after they get it all hooked in, we're going to actually plug it in and flip the switch. Oh, nice. Jay, I don't know about this. I have people at home who turn on switches for me. I don't even use my own clapper. I am.
I don't even know where to start. You're looking at this thing. My hands are sweating. Sean, you've got to see all their faces. It looks like you just put a Rubik's Cube in front of them. And they're just back. And the directions are right here. But the directions show six wires and I have five. Yeah, the directions show more wires than exist. There's a... Look at Eddie. Eddie, you can't say that on the radio. Oh, man. Oh, wait. Well, that must mean that you guys have already done the wiring for the bulb. Yeah, we've done the wiring for the bulb. All you have to worry about is the switch. We don't have to worry about this. Nope. All right, we got to worry about the switch. Don't forget. Each of you have a wire nut because one of the wires in there has to be connected to another wire. I mean, that's kind of a cheat, but you can see these little things are called wire nuts. Yeah. But what's here? Read the directions. Yeah, you only need one. We only need one. They even have a diagram. So this one can hang out. Look at the directions. Look at the directions, Sean. It's not that hard.
Oh, come on. This ain't a bad baking exercise. Hey, what are these things called, Jay? Wire nuts. Okay, so you eat these? Yes. There's only one wire nut, and I noticed in the diagram there's two wire nuts. That's what I'm saying, Mike. You only have to worry about the one. The ground wire's in here, but there's only one ground wire. We've handled the other one going up to the switch. So there's one ground wire. This is not happening right now. And it should be obvious. The ground wire should be obvious. The connection point should be obvious. I'm literally shaking, and my hands are sweaty. I want to go home. I'm literally shaking, and my hands are sweaty. Oh, my husband's going to be sweaty. Because at this point, 20 minutes ago, I'd have called an electrician. Or I called my friend Harold. I called Harold. Hey, dude, what are you doing this afternoon? You need some help, bro. This is really basic, right, Jay? Like, this is normal, easy. Don't say that. This is simple. They should totally be able to do this, right? Pretty standard. Oh, yeah. Okay. Oh, this is troubling. Come on. I don't care for this. I think I got it. This video is the best video ever, by the way. I'm going to go through three here.
See, Eddie is starting to look real confident. And the guy is staring at the light switch like, which way is on? And I don't know. Where's the person to flip it? It's not a circle. It's a light switch. Come on. So just remember, the wire coming up through the bottom of your box is your power wire. Mikey doesn't look confident either. The wire on top, it goes actually to the light up top. Say that again. You're not supposed to explain. I'm just giving you a little bit of it. The bottom wire comes at the bottom of the box is your power wire. That's where your power is going to come from. And the black wire up top is the light. Let's go. Let's do this. Yeah. Is everybody ready? Yep. How defeated they sound. Okay. Can't. Are we ready? Here we go. In three, two, one, go. There you go. We got a little bit of good music bed. Mikey has not made any. Oh, he's starting to hook the wires into the light switch. This guy's screwing something. And he's doing the twist and finally tune it to get it into that light switch. He's very confused and he keeps looking back at the directions like these are wrong or maybe I'm not confident. I'm just winging it, bro. I'm not even looking.
Eddie looks like he's on a mission. Let's see what Eddie's doing. Eddie looks like he's on a mission. Oh, Eddie has stuff connected. Does it look good, Rob? I think he might have this wrapped up. I mean, he has... Oh, yeah. Eddie, Sean, Sean, it looks like Eddie's got this whole thing figured out, man. He's just going to town with the parts right now. Mike just said he did something wrong. Mike... Let's just say Mike should never be an electrician. Never, ever, ever, ever. Now, Eddie is already working with the wire, not trying to get everything hooked in and grounded. He's about to get that light switch into the box. Sky has two wires connected. I don't know what she's doing. And Mikey is still unconnecting his wire that he put on wrong. Put it on, Mike. This is the opposite of fun. I'm feeling tingling in my fingertips. Well, you...
You shouldn't be licking the wires, Eddie. Take the wires out of your mouth. I think I'm done. Eddie says he's done. He's done? I have no idea. He's lying. What's Mike's stat-tis? My stat-tis is that I am really confused. So it looks like Eddie's finished. Sky is getting very close. And Mike? Sky looks like she's finished. Sky's done. Mike is... Mike? That's wrong. Okay, Mike is now undoing all the wires that he put on to the light switch. He's taking them off. So now he has just the light switch in his hand. He's starting over. I've been done for an hour. Mike is going on minute number three now. You've got to see his face. He's just staring at it blankly. You've got to do something, Mike. I mean...
You got to put something on there, pal. There's nothing connected right now. Me and Sky are done. I got it. You got it? You got it now. Is that right? Now I have it. Watch. She's going to be the only one that gets it done. No, you can't. I'm going to stand far, far away when my plug is in. I'm going to look and see if you did what I did. What I'm doing is refastening what I had just determined was incorrect. I am doing that out of fear and an overwhelming sense of nausea. Cute, cute, cute. I just thought it was encouraging. I am putting tools in my tool belt to pretend I look official. I am still shaking. I am putting on the screw nut or whatever it's called. And I do not have one wire attached to anything. It's been four minutes so far. You didn't even connect your live wire. I did. Okay.
It looks good, Mike. It looks really good, Mike. You did a great job. The green one is the live wire. It is? Yeah. I thought it was the ground. Or whatever. Whatever that is. Green is ground. Green is ground. Oh, I bet that green wire's got to go over here. Well, yeah. Well, you can't change it now. You're done. Let's give these puppies a run for their money. This is over with. Wow, that was... I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed at watching Eddie and Sky work. Yeah, they did real well. So right off the bat, right off the bat, I'm not even going to bother to plug in Eddie's. Why? It's perfect. Eddie's is 100% wrong. He's got the main power source. He's screwed the two wires together. Right. That's how you get it to go. Yeah. But they're screwed to themselves. They have no place to go. That's what you told me to do. I didn't tell you to do anything. And your ground wire, you did hook the ground wire up. I know what the ground wire is. The ground wire is hooked up right. The other thing is, the wires that you did connect, connected, you just hooked them around and didn't bother to screw the screws in. I tried. They wouldn't go anymore. Well, now you're taking them off. They were hooked up perfectly. Oh, my gosh. You ruined it, Jay. Jay is sabotaging me. So then I walked over to the Mikey's.
And Mikey did the same exact thing you did. No, he didn't. He didn't hook up the ground wire. He was about to. That's what I was going to change. I was going to put the ground wire. Because we told you. But regardless. I know. I would have done the same wrong thing. Where would you have hooked up the ground wire? To here. Oh, see, not exactly. See, the green wire actually goes to the green. Oh, that makes sense. I want to be friends. That makes sense. Damn it. Then we go to Skies. Yeah. Who hooked it up 100% right. Oh, wow. Her connections are solid. She's got the ground wire. Everything's fantastic. Skye, let's turn it on. I'm not even worried. I think mine's right. We had a generator hooked up out front because I thought... This is amazing. Skye, will you do the honors to turning your light switch on? I'm moving back. It's awesome. This is amazing. So how did you do it? Here we go. Common sense. You know, I figured. Your husband is an electrician. I figured one wire coming from the power source. Your husband is an electrician. And then one wire to the bulb gets to go. That's how the power gets to the bulb. That's how the power actually gets to the bulb. Okay, okay. Jay, you turn it on. Look at that. And the light goes on. The light came on. Wow. The light came on. I am so good. She did it.
What does that mean with the score? He's smart. Wow. Eddie said this one was worth three points. She won? Yes. Guy wins. Holy cow. She didn't even do two of her projects. Are you kidding me? She squeaked it out at the end. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Well, when it comes to skilled labor, you know, I'm not in the gown. You couldn't even saw anything. That was all muscle, Broseph. Hey, question, though. What's up? You'll never bring this up again, right? Like, this will be the end of it. And never be brought up again, right? Like, this is the end of it. Did you see that light bulb was on? Did you see how shiny and beautiful it was? By the way, visit Tool Ups, 40,000 square foot location for all your contracting needs. South 15 back to big time as well from El Norte Parkway over Lake Hodgeson to Rancho Bernardo. Another tight ride from Camino del Norte down in toward the 5. Make the 15-163 split. Solid brake lights pretty much all across the 56. From the 15 all the way to the 5 freeway westbound and the south outside of the 5. That's looking kind of normal actually. That's just so slow from La Costa.

Eddie and Mikey, you're a lot like my Kansas City Chiefs. You start great but collapse in the end. That's P1 Greg. Please never compare me to the Chiefs. Wow. This one says, hams down, Sky is the best. That's P1 Taylor. She didn't get one screw or nail in. She couldn't saw anything. But this is BS. This one says, go Sky, you're number one. Remind them every day that your light is the only one that came on. That's P1 Sarah Noel. Well, if you insist. I mean, I was thinking about taking the high road, but if the P1s are calling.
I don't know. And this one says, hey, Mikey, is Skye going to give a victory speech? No, she's not. Why not? She just turned the lights on and off in the studio. She's such a jerk. How dare you? You see how we can see better? I dare you. We wouldn't be acting like this. We would never. In a million years. We are gracious. We would have just said. That's on fire. You know what we are, dude? We're classy. That's on fire. We're classy. Real classy. Yeah, dude. That's what real men act like, dude. Real class, right, dude? You're acting like you're from Tarrant County. Yeah. It's ridiculous. Someone's spitting again. Are you from Beaufort? I don't even know where that is. What's going on, all right? What are you, from Denton? Yeah, great, dude. I don't know what that means. Yeah, dude, your name's Red Lobster, all right? What? I don't know. Every girl I've ever dated. Do the math, all right? Every girl I've ever dated from Fort Worth, okay? That's you. That's you. Okay? Yeah, dude. All right? You don't go to one of those entry-level schools, okay? Wait, wait. Huh?
No, I'm saying she does go to one of those entry levies. Wait a minute, dude. I'm not saying anything, buddy. Oh, yeah, dude. Hook him. All right, I get it. Oh, no. I wish you could see me because that's what Bauman would do. Closes the eyes, puts his hand over his heart, and starts to motion like, my bad. So true. Buddy. Buddy. Buddy. I wasn't even thinking about where you went to school, buddy. All right? I wasn't even thinking. I went to Holy Cross. I know, dude. I shouldn't even have gone there. Shouldn't even have gone there. That's great. That's a great school. Oh, you're so good, Bauman. Dude. You went to E.T. All right? That's awesome. Bro. Yeah. I wish I could have gone there. My mommy and daddy couldn't pay for it. Listen, bro. All right? I made my own way. Dude. All right? People upset him. Yeah, dude. Holy Cross got a great social studies school, all right? Wait, what? Social studies? That's like an elementary school. You just social studies. All right, Dave, let me tell you something. Best agriculture in the state of Texas is Holy Cross, all right? Holy Cross is in Illinois, bro. That's what I was going to say. That's weird. Good for you getting out of the house, buddy. You're in the paint, okay? You know why you did that? Dude, I was an orphan. That's funny. That's funny, dude.
No, I wish I could have gone there. I forgot, dude. Forgive me. I forgot you're an orphan. Well, folks, we are going to be doing something to be moving on. That's right. Let me know if you want to talk about it again. I'll be right over here. We don't. But you can totally catch the video if you want to see it again at MikeyShow.com and just watch Mikey just look so confused. You're such a jerk. That is uncomfortable. You've got to see his face. It is plastic. MikeyShow.com. Couple wires backwards. What's a big deal? I would have figured it out. Anybody could have done that. I didn't get no redos. Redos. What? It was a time thing. I would have won. I would have turned it on. It wouldn't have worked. I would have flipped the wires and I would have got it right. It would have happened that way. But I was done like 30 seconds after you. No, you weren't. How long was I saying I was done? 20 minutes at least. You're such a liar. You didn't even screw your wires in. Yes, I did. Jay took them out. He thinks he's so funny. Jay, saboteur.
If he hadn't sabotaged. Yeah. Okay. Direction change. Here we go. Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something, dude. Yeah, dude. Love knows no bounds, okay? That's right, dude. You ever see that movie Love Actually? That's right, dude. Yeah, great. All I'm going to tell you is that if this goes well, it's going to be great. Oh, yeah. Get your hankies out. Yes. If it doesn't go well, then we'll talk about Sky again. I'd rather do that than have this go bad. We got an email to end all emails. We haven't done Secret Crush in a long time. By the way, I had what they call a heart change, and I don't know if a lot of you know what this is, the heart change. We're going to bring back Cheaters Hotel in the beginning of the year. We don't mean that. We're not going to get rid of Secret Crush. We're going to continue to do Secret Crush. We're going to do them both. You rocked my life. And I'll explain that to you at some point. I'll explain it to you. But I love this stuff. Right? I love relationship stuff. Always have.
And so we got an email. If you don't know what Secret Crush is, all it is is somebody has a crush on somebody and they want to use the Mikey Show as a big, giant billboard banner jumbotron to announce to that person, I love you. Live on the air. Yeah, I have a crush on you. Live on the air. Like the Jets would say. I've got a crush on you. That's right, Eddie. Well said. Like the Jets would say. And now do you see why I was the one who was able to wire a switch? Okay. That is so unnecessary. Please. I was pop Eddie. Just get to this, please. Just rude. Can we just get to this? My bad. Again, Eddie and I would never behave that way. No, this is. No. Class and dignity. I don't even think we'd have brought it up again. That's right. No. Never heard from us ever again on that subject. No. On the line with us is P1 Adam. Yo. Adam, how you doing, man? I'm doing pretty good. All right, brother. I'm doing good. I'm going to get some info from you. All right. And as I'm getting this info, we're going to be able to let listeners in on your story as well, who you are and who you want to talk to today. How old are you, Adam? I am 28. Email says you've been listening three years to The Mikey Show. Oh, yeah. Let's see.
First of all, the girl that we're calling, tell us her name. Her name is Monica. And how old is Monica? She is 29. Older lady. She's a year older. Not much older. We went to high school together. She's just like six months older than me. Okay. So, Adam, tell us your story. Well, like I said, me and Monica have known each other since high school. And, you know, we've been, you know, we've been really good friends. And I always kind of got the impression that, you know, she wanted to, like, take it to the next level. And I just, I don't know. I mean, I didn't really want to mess up our friendship. Like, I didn't want to, just didn't want to take it there. And last year, actually, actually this year, I moved to Europe overseas for a job.
And, like, I found myself, like, thinking about her all the time. Like, you know, just, you know. And so I'm like, well, you know, why am I thinking about this girl? I mean, she's, you know, obviously she's been a really, you know, great person in my life. And I've known her for a while. But, like, why do I keep thinking about her all the time, you know? And, you know, just very recently her dad passed away. Basically, I mean, you know, I was thinking about her so much, I just moved back, you know. Wow. I wanted to be there for her, and, you know, I just wanted to be there for her and be with her, you know, while she was going through this because, you know. And, you know, I started thinking, and, you know, obviously, I don't know if I was really thinking about it. You know, it's just, I was, it has to be more than friendship, you know. Like, I've just been thinking about, you know.
Maybe this girl is the one, you know? Okay, I have quite a few questions. First of all, in the spirit of honesty, I'm concerned that she really liked you a lot and you've gone away and you can't see her or whatever. Maybe there's an issue seeing other people. What I would hate for it to be is a situation where You want what you can't have. And maybe that's not the case. No. Because it sounds like she's liked you. You have felt the vibe that she's liked you, right? Well, I mean, I felt the vibe. But she would never come out and say it because I don't think she would. But we know. We know. Men know and women know. We both know. Men and women, we know. When somebody has, well, unless you're me. I didn't know my wife liked me.
I'm a very rare case. Most of the time, we know when somebody's putting out a vibe that says green light. Yeah. And then we also know when somebody's putting out a light, putting out a vibe that says yellow light, where you're like, maybe, am I just thinking this? I'm not sure. Proceed with caution. Proceed with caution. Oh, wow. Okay. Well said. And then you've also got the relationship where... You're friends with somebody. But deep down in your guts, even though you know you get along with them great, you know that if you ask them, they're going to say to you, sorry, not going to happen. Yeah. Now, what it sounds like to me is that you knew she dug you, but she never got the green light from you. Yeah, kind of. Okay. And then you go away.
And while you're away, you're thinking about her all the time. Yeah. And how long ago did her dad pass away? This was last month. And did you say that you moved back here? Yeah. Wow. That's a big move. That's a gigantic step. Yeah, you know, for me, like, I'm very, you know, I'm a pretty, I'd say, rational person. And not that this was an irrational move, but, you know. There wasn't even any thinking about it. It was just like, okay, I need to go back and do with her. What does Monica look like? She is probably 5'7", blonde hair, green eyes. What color eyes? Green. Green eyes. Hazel. Green, hazel eyes. They change with her mood. I know, Monica.
You know, I mean, she's beautiful, you know? Is she slim? Is she... Yeah, she's slim. Yeah, real fit. Yeah, real cut. She's one of those types of people that could, you know, eat whatever she wanted to eat and she would always be thin. Her parents are thin. A delight. Adam, what do you look like? I'm probably 6'1", brown hair, blue eyes, thin. Real fit. Yeah, I exercise quite a bit. Okay. I got all the info. What are you thinking? How are you feeling, Mike? Yeah, what's your take? It's all right, buddy. I don't know, man. What's going on in there? I don't know. You know, he moved all the way back here, and I'm just like, you know, do I believe that he moved all the way back here just for her, or was it like...
Is there something we don't know? Like, well, I actually got a job offer. Did I mention that? Got a job offer in San Diego that was a lot better, and I came back for it, and da-da-da-da-da. Or did you genuinely come back because you couldn't stay away from Monica? I genuinely came back because I couldn't stay away from Monica. That's cool. That's cool. I mean, there's no job or anything like... Let love in. Yeah. What? That's a beautiful thing. That's a really beautiful thing. I wish this was going down at the airport, though. You know what I mean? Like he was getting on a plane to go back to Europe, and then she showed up, and he's like, I truly love you. Come with me. And we have it all. And this is playing in the background. We could have been happy together. Hugging on those heartstrings. All right, Adam. Here's what we're going to do. Quick timeout. When we come back, we're going to call Monica. And you're going to be telling her something that you've never told her before. Okay. She's always liked you, but you've never told her that you feel the same. In fact, you've always given her, at best, a yellow light. Yeah. So she's never felt comfortable enough to say, hey, can we... Never wanted to go there. And probably because of the vibe you put out. Mm-hmm. So when we come back, we're going to call her and I'm going to let you do the talking. And before we do that, I'm going to give you...
A couple of pointers. A little pep talk. A little pep talk. So don't go away. Hang on, okay? Oh, man. Well, this is kind of an emotional time for her. Well, yeah. Her dad just died. This is kind of weird. Well, her dad passed away one month ago. Yeah. This guy, Adam, is somebody that she's always liked. Since high school. Since high school, they've only been friends. And... You would think that these would be the words that she would want to hear and has wanted to hear for years. This is a girl's dream come true, you know, in a way. She's going through a lot, and he realized in the middle of it how he feels about her. So take a break. We'll come back. Get Employee Pricing Plus at your San Diego County Ford dealer. Well, you've noticed we have another day of rain today. This storm from Alaska is expected to bring hail and snow to parts of San Diego. Podrick Harrington beat out Tiger Woods to win the PGA Tour Player of the Year. All right, welcome back. We're doing Secret Crush. We haven't done it for a while, but we got a pretty good email here from P1 Adam. If you're a new listener to The Mikey Show, Mikey Show calls our listeners P1s. It stands for Priority One. It means that you mean a lot to us as our listeners. It's Mikey Show listeners, a very exclusive club. And how do you become a P1? Well, first of all, you listen exclusively to The Mikey Show. When you call in, you turn your radio down, get to the point, don't cuss. And you make new P1s. You're constantly telling people about The Mikey Show. That is what it means to be a P1. And we take care of our P1s, man. Love our P1s. Got an email from P1 Adam, who is on the line. Adam, you there? Yes, I'm here. Adam wants to do a little secret crush on his friend Monica. And this story is...
It's pretty incredible. Adam is 28 years old. And he's been listening to the Mikey Show for three years. And he's six foot one. He's got brown hair. And he likes Monica. Monica is 29 years old. She's 5'7", blonde hair. She's got greenish, hazelish eyes. Slim build. Trying to give you an idea of who these people are. And Monica has been... Adam's friend and has basically known him since high school and she has liked him since high school. Adam has not reciprocated that except that Adam went away to work in Europe and while he was gone, in his words, he could not stop thinking about Monica. Monica's dad died a month ago and
when Adam heard the news, he moved back to San Diego. And so that's where we are now, right? Yeah. You're back here, and the reason that you're back here is because you couldn't stop thinking about this friend of yours who you've been friends with for a long time. In fact, you've been friends with her for 10 years. You got out of high school about 10 years ago, and you guys have remained friends that entire time. Did you guys date other, date people and stuff? Yeah, I mean, you know, like... I don't, I really haven't had anything too serious. I mean, you know, and she had a boyfriend for a little while, but like nothing serious. It's tough because, you know, when somebody has feelings for you and they're dating other people, it means that the other person is usually second fiddle, second choice. Yeah. And Adam has known that she's liked him. It's just that she, he has never.
reciprocated that feeling. He's never let her know that she's got a green light, and he's never, certainly never told her anything like what he's about to tell her. Well, yeah, and it's sort of like, you know, I mean, we were such good friends. Like, I knew that I really wasn't ready for anything serious, and I thought that, you know, if we, you know, were to get together, that it would be probably pretty serious. I usually tell people at this point, When you're going to do this, you need to tell the person how beautiful they are. And I definitely think that you can still do that with Monica. But I think that what's going to say the most to Monica is really what happened inside your guts when you were in Europe. Yeah. And, you know, even before her dad passing away, what you felt for her...
And how you couldn't stop thinking about her. Yeah. And, you know, just what happened when you found out that her dad passed away inside of you and what got you to want to move back here. And then I think it'd be very important for you to tell her how you feel about her. I don't know if you love her. I don't know if you're in love with her. And I certainly don't want to put those words in your mouth. But I will say this. If that's what you feel. I would say it. Yeah. And because you only get one shot at it. And and then you can just ask her if she's willing to see where this goes. Yeah. You're both single right now. Yes. Yeah. OK. You ready to do this? I'm ready. All right. I will talk first. And so you just stay quiet. OK. And as always, got to remind you, you know, no dirty language if you get excited. She says.
You really like no dirty language? I don't think that'll be a problem. All right. And, uh, all right, here we go. Okay. Stay quiet. Hey, is Monica in? This is Monica. Hey, Monica, it's Mikey calling from Rock 105. How you doing? Are you serious? Yes. I'm fine. How are you? I'm good. It's, uh, yeah, it's a Mikey show. We're all actually on the line right now. Hi. Yeah, that's Boston Rob. Uh, Monica. Uh-huh. We're doing something called Secret Crush. And the way that Secret Crush works is that somebody wrote us an email and told us that they have a secret crush on you. Is that right? That is right. So somebody has a secret crush on you. Uh-huh. Do you have any idea who that is? I think I have a pretty good idea. Who is it? It's Glenn.
It's Glenn. Glenn is a guy that I work with, and he always has little comments to make. So I'm pretty sure that if it's anyone, it's definitely Glenn. It's not Glenn. Okay. Sorry, Glenn. Sorry, Glenn. Yes. It is not Glenn. It's not Glenn? It's not Glenn. Okay. Any other ideas of who it may be? Zero. All right. That's kind of a good thing. Zero. That's kind of a good thing. Well, what Secret Crush is, Monica, is it's a listener's opportunity to kind of use the Mikey show like a big old jumbotron to let the world know that they have a crush on somebody, but also to tell you. And so I'm going to let you talk to the person that wrote us. The person that wrote us is your friend, Adam. Adam, you there, buddy? I'm here. I'm here. Adam, tell Monica what you told us.
friends forever and you know I uh I mean I never really wanted to thought about well I mean I thought about I never really wanted to take it to the next level because I didn't want to you know mess up our friendship and you know but you know I recently moved to Europe and the whole time I was there like I just couldn't stop thinking about you and I missed you a lot and you know when uh When your father passed away, I moved back without even thinking about it because I wanted to be here for you. And it just made me think that all this has happened for a reason. And the reason is because I love you and I want to be with you. I love you too. Did you have any idea, Monica, that Adam felt like that? No.
We've been friends for a long time, and I've always liked him, but I had no idea that he felt like this. I know we cared about each other, and I knew that I wouldn't mind exploring other things, but wow. And what a unique way of telling me. Well, first of all, Monica, first of all, Monica, We want to tell you that we're really sorry to hear about you losing your dad. And I think it's really cool that Adam kind of figured this out and that he decided to come all the way back to San Diego because of the way that he felt about you. Well, I guess my question is, what took you so long? Adam, that's a pretty good question. What took you so long? Well, like I said, I mean, I just... You know, I wasn't sure about how I felt, and I would rather just have not, you know, compromised our friendship, you know, if I wasn't really, you know, positive. And, you know, being away from you, Monica, is just, you know, it was really tough. And I just, I thought about you literally all the time. And then, you know, obviously when I moved back, it was just like, you know, that was just kind of it. I mean, I love you.
Oh, this is so sweet. So what do you think, Monica? Would you be interested in seeing where that relationship could go? I've been interested for years. That's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. It is. Well, Adam, congratulations. Yeah, dude. What up? It sounds like it was the best case scenario. Yeah, I definitely was. I was kind of nervous about it, but if that's how I feel, then I can't just keep it to myself. I have never heard of a guy moving all the way back thousands and thousands of miles for a girl. I think that's pretty incredible. And especially since she's liked him for all those years and just for it to work out that way, I think it's pretty awesome. Well, you don't know Monica because she's worth it. That's awesome. That's awesome. I'm going to put you guys on hold. Hang on a second, all right? All right. That's a pretty nice holiday note. They're cute. That's a nice little Christmas present. I feel like they sound like a couple. They do. They're cute. They've known each other forever. Yeah, and that's the thing, right? Don't the best relationships always come from people that are like friends, you know? Like they start out as friends, and it's kind of where the best relationships come from. Yeah, that was almost as beautiful as me winning the handyman. How dare she? How dare she? How dare she? How dare she?
for six days a week. You guys are awesome. Appreciate it, bro. Thank you. I'm a P1 because of my girlfriend, Lynn, who turned me on to the station. I like, I want my sandwich. Sky. I enjoy presents. What can I say? Sean. I'm a boss and Rob. I'm kind of the transient of the bunch. And Ashley. I'm a very loving, nurturing person. On rock one Oh five three. Come back. It's the Mikey show. It is 835. Brian Giles' ex-girlfriend has filed a $10 million lawsuit against him. It accuses him of beating her while she was pregnant, causing her to lose the baby. The Chargers have a whopping two players announced on the AFC Pro Bowl squad. Antonio Gates and Chris Dielman, the only Chargers to represent. Ladies and gentlemen, the text message is about Secret Crush. Mikey, I am crying on the 56 in traffic. Wow.
That is P1 Gappy. I am too. That's right. You're on the 56 right now? No, 54. No. Eddie's on the 54. I'm dyslexic. Oh, wait. This one says, Mikey, what's the name of the song that you played during Secret Crush? Every time I hear it, I start to tear up, and I'm not ashamed of it. That's P1 The Duke. Oh. The name of that song is... It's by Cinderella. Melissa Etheridge. Well, there's two songs you play. Spice Girls? There's the John Mayer song. No, I think it's Korn, isn't it? Yeah, right, right. Follow the leader about that album. It's Danzig. Oh, yeah. Right Said Fred. Yes, Right Said Fred. Nazareth. I believe we're talking this one. Is it this one? Oh, Not the Hoople, yeah. Not the Hoople. Well, yeah, we play that song. We also play the John Mayer song. Okay, yeah, we play John Mayer. This is John Mayer. And that's Dreaming with a Broken Heart by John Mayer. And this one is, I know it's Starfield, but I don't know which song. Oh, it's called Unashamed. Yes, that was an actual clip of me the first time I heard it. The song is called Unashamed. And the lyrics are really fitting to that scenario. Mikey and I are wearing matching Christmas sweaters right now. That's right, we just posed with a big candy cane. Oh, I've seen the picture.
You got that picture, too. You got that one? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Super cute. Take it easy. Super cute. That is awesome. Is that on the website? It should be. I'll send it to Sean. I'll put it in my blog. Yeah. Yeah, put it in your blog. What? I didn't notice this, but this text says, that guy Adam said, you know, way too much. You didn't notice it? Uh-uh. I didn't notice it. I didn't notice it either. I didn't notice it either. It rubbed off on you. Really? You started going, you know. I did? Oh, yeah. You know what, Rob? You're really something else, buddy. Hey, listen, you know. Hey, you. With your all-American lunch. What do you eat over there? He's got these, like, microwave friskas. Basically. I didn't make you do anything wrong. And he's like, you bring another Hot Pocket in here and I'm going to slow your face. He eats a Hot Pocket every day. And I ask him, do you ever buy anything else? And he's like, no, I don't. And so from that he took that I made him buy these microwavable turkey dinners. They're so filthy looking. They come like little compact things that has like stuffing on the bottom, this processed turkey on top, and then gravy all over it. It is so foul. Well, dude, what's so gross is that it's got the peel away plastic top and he licks the plastic top of the gravy. Don't want to waste any.
Did you guys know that Skye is lactose intolerant? This is the first time I hear you. You are full of it. She, her tum-tum, cannot tolerate. It's sensitivo, I'm not going to lie. It cannot tolerate dairy products. Well, what? If she has said dairy products. Oh. Calm down. No. It gives her terrible gas. I got it under control. I figured out stuff. Shut up. Blah, blah. So... When she was telling us the story about her being lactose intolerant, she said... Sean, why do you get a confused and surprised look on your face? You played the sound effect. Why do you look surprised by it? That is weird. You're the one. You're the one. You can never be too sure.
Oh, what the? That's so stupid when you do that. So, Skye, when she went on a date with her husband for the very first time to meet his parents, it was at a Mexican restaurant. And when orders were being taken, everybody ordered their dinners. And when it came around to Skye, she said just... It's preventative medicine. Okay. All right. Be unconscious. Absolutely. I was nervous enough as it was. She said, when she gets nervous, I'll take a side of rice, please. Yes. Wait. Come on. And when we said, well, Sky, why did you get a side of rice? She said, because I didn't, you know, want to, you know, I couldn't have the cheese. There's plenty of stuff you can order besides rice. Everything else. Nah, well. That is, that's not true, Eddie. Every single item on the menu has it. I've had tamales. I'm a picky eater. Save that clip. That's a great clip. That's a great clip. Well, anyway, because Skye is so lactose intolerant, she decided to do something special for the holidays. I did nothing. Step into a recording studio. Thank you, Skye.
And record this beautiful song. Oh, sky. It's so beautiful. Why do I sound like an 80-year-old smoker? Oh, side of rice. You're gentle on my tummy. When I eat you. Why are you laughing? I love it so much. I can't help it. Cheese is my phone. Makes me very gassy. But you're my friend. Holding mild lifting. You treat. Keep my rear from blasting. Gentle. Keep my farts at bay. I fear a squeak.
We get it. All right. She really belts it on. What are you trying to say? Yeah, I'm trying to read different lines on that. Oh, wow. You're something else, lady. Wow. Great song. That is really wonderful. Good job, Sky. Really wonderful. Oh, man. When's that Valkyrie come out? Christmas. Yeah. I might go see it that day. What? Eddie, you saw it, right? Yeah. It's good. I liked it. It's not boring, right? No, I don't think so. Eddie taught me all kinds of stuff about it, man. I didn't like about history. I didn't know they tried to kill Hitler a bunch of times. Yeah. It was like the 15th, I think, and final attempt. Are you for real? Yeah. Oh, my gosh. How come they couldn't figure it out? Why couldn't he? Well, it wasn't like he wasn't protected at all. Yeah. And he kind of got a little.
crazy in the head. I heard he was a meth. He used to shoot speed. I saw something on the History Channel. I saw this deal on the History Channel that he used to have a doctor and the doctor would log it every day. He called it his vitamins. It was speed. It was methamphetamine. He was addicted to it. Crack his whack. He had bunkers and crazy hideaways and all kinds of stuff. Really? He loved runt candy bars. Oh, wow. Oh, who doesn't? That's right. He should have just put like a banana peel in front of him when he walked by. This was his endorsement of the Mikey show. He loves the Mikey show. I don't want him to like the Mikey show. No, I don't care for his endorsement. That's the problem is that everybody loves it. You can't escape it. That's the problem. Everybody loves that Mikey show. Even this jerk. Okay, bro. Enough about it already. Let's see. So. They're really downplaying the shoes getting thrown at Bush's head. They really are, man. How can you? This is Bush's press secretary. Cut six. It was just a shoe. People expressed themselves in lots of different ways. Obviously, he was very angry. I can't tell you exactly what the shoe thrower was thinking. I can tell you what the president thought was that he was fine. And he said immediately, he saw his reaction was, don't worry about it. It was okay.
You know, and we were looking into it more, and it actually never even really happened. It didn't actually go through it. It didn't even happen. Did you see her? And nobody cared. It hit her. She got a shiner. She did? Yeah. What? The shoe hit her? Yeah, because Bush ducked, and it hit her. It's just like a shiner. That's so funny. That sucks. Yes. So what if the guy threw a shoe at me? Well. This is Aaron Lewis, the bald-headed lead singer of Stain. What did you say, sir? Say it again. Rob. Guy from Stained? That's right. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, he's from Mass. So good. Oh, my goodness. Oh, now it all makes sense. And did you have to throw the white guy gang sign? Yeah. To drive the point home? Him and his all-American lunch. Cut 55. We finally kind of all played it through together. And at the end of the song, we all kind of looked at each other and was...
We were kind of like, man, it's a little bit poppier than we would normally, you know, write. So, you know, we contemplated whether we were even going to continue with it as an idea. And when it was finished, nobody could really deny the fact that it was a really good, catchy song. He's talking about their new single. Oh, I don't know if I've heard it. Poppy? All I Want. What's up, Daughtry? Very poppy. They all turned into females. Oh, relax. Oh, Rob. That's a Chris Dodgers. That is crazy. Totally. Through and through. I have very strong feelings about Stained. I've realized this. I have very strong feelings about Stained. Talk about it. Well, I think that Aaron Lewis is a great songwriter. And the reason I think so is because... And there's a lot of people in this camp. In fact, I think Boston Rob is in this camp. And I'm totally okay with that. And that camp is...
Quit you crying already. We get it, dude. Oh, your daddy didn't love you enough. I totally get it. I totally get it. And I could understand how somebody would roll their eyes and say that. So I'm down with that. Whatever. However, I also have to kind of give props to Aaron Lewis because I do think that the way that he says it's very honest. I think he's really on it. Like, it goes straight from his guts right onto the paper. And gay or not, it's from his guts right onto the paper. And there's something about that that I really respect and like listening to because it's so vulnerable and it's so honest. However, they've not done too well. And they're playing casinos. They are? Yes. Yeah, when we were going up to Big Bear, we saw a big billboard that said stained at, you know, Cho-chinga, you know. Cho-chinga is what you're saying? Well said. Mike, you're right. That's definitely not it. But no, I don't know where they are. Maybe it is Pachanga. I don't even, I actually know where it is, but it's a casino, whatever. It may not have even been as big as Pachanga. It may have been like, you know, Little Horse Casino in some place.
But it was not Cox Arena. Right. It was not the sports arena. And so I'm starting to get the feeling that the reason for this sound is they're like, we've got to make some dough around this place. You know what I mean? Get her on the phone. Let's see what Shauna thinks about that. Oh, no. That is not an endorsement right there. That's a bad endorsement. I'd like to throw my shoe at him. Oh, wow. Laughter is not a good endorsement. He was your boy 10 minutes ago, dude. Not anymore. Oh, he's from Mass. Yeah, he's from, like, Western Mass. Like, we don't even consider that Mass. You don't have to do that. Yeah, dude. It's not necessary. These are the guys that did Mud Shovel. Like, yeah? No. They didn't do that. Hey, listen. That'll be a hit, though. Well, I don't understand, man. It's been a while. It was ginormous. Huge.
And that song was one of, there was like a couple of songs in my life. First time I heard them, I went, are my ears hearing what I think they're hearing? Because if they are, this is like one of the best sounding songs I've ever heard. And so why this? Why that? Let's see. Yeah, we're getting our program director on the phone. I want to see what she says. This was one of the greatest songs ever. Lyrically, very, very honest song. And just good. on this back in the day? Oh yeah. The face chills. You know when you get the chills just right on the bottom of your face and your cheek and stuff? Just the little tingly? I hope I'm not getting an ailment. I think that's called an aneurysm. That's not the problem. But that was good stuff. Stain had a huge impact for me in my really, really, really dark time.
Stained was, like, all I listened to. Like, there was one song, and it was, like, all I listened to on repeat. Like, outside, I just listened to that song over and over. Oh, that's another great one. And so it stained, like, Aaron Lewis and, like, that band out of, like, every band. Like, that's, like, one song that has, like, a huge part of, like, my, like, really dark period. So I can't even picture Stained doing pop. Like, I can't even wrap my head around that. Well, picture it, because they're doing it, sweetheart. I don't know. Sweetheart. Embrace that. They did this. Stupidest video. Ever made, though. There's a video to this? Oh, it's terrible. Why is it terrible? You know who's in it? It's Billy Zane, the bad guy from Titanic. Nice. How'd they get him? Terrible. But what a beautiful song, Epiphany. All right, we'll be right back. Join the P1 Text Army. Text Mikey to 35253. Standard rate supply. It's the P1 Text Army. Featuring Mikey. I don't run anywhere. I saunter. Eddie. I'm clearly the best. Sky. I never, ever spend money. Sean. I am very susceptible to supernatural phenomena. Boston Rob. I'm so athletic, man. And Ashley. I do have a lot of best friends, yeah. On Rock 105.3. Welcome back to the Mikey Show. It is 9-0-3. Coldplay's record label has had the Coldplay-Satriani mashup pulled from YouTube. Satriani is suing Coldplay for plagiarism. Ohio State linebacker James Laurinaitis was named to his third AP All-American team. Heisman winner Sam Bradford also joined him on the team. I have Laurinaitis.
You do? I suffer from that. That's the Hills thing. Yeah, it's kind of embarrassing. Well, first of all, that is an insult because that is Road Warrior Animal's son. What? I don't know what that means. I don't even know what that means. The Road Warriors, remember the Road Warriors? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's his son. A little hawk and animal? Yeah, he's going to be a top five draft pick in the NFL. I don't understand. Sky, remember? He used to have that Road Warrior t-shirt. Yeah, you would do the face paint when you'd go to the shows. Yeah, the shoulder pads with the spikes. Yeah, dude. Dude, I bet his son is gigantic. He's sick. Yeah. He's real good. I've noticed kids are getting bigger. Yeah, genetically? Oh, yeah. Yeah, because of the milk. Yeah, it's the hormones in the chicken. Or the eggs, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I agree with you. That's why girls develop so soon. Yeah, big old boobies. That's why. It's the hormones in the chicken. I think he knew what he meant when he said developed. I'm helping him. I think we understood. Thank you, Leche. Okay. Take it down a notch. You guys hear who wants to replace Hillary Clinton's Senate seat? Sonny Bono. It is not. It is not Sonny Bono. It would be a little different. Cher. Too soon. Cher. Oh, is he dead? Is it Cher? Remember? Eddie. Eddie. Too soon. Bernie Mac.
Wait. I know what you're doing. Last one. Oh, Ashley, I won't even begin to read what you just IM'd. Wow. Too false. You know better. Who is this guy? Caroline Kennedy. Wow. That must make you very happy. Yeah, don't say nothing bad. Good. Taking over. Yeah. That's right, Massachusetts. I'll tell you, all those people from Massachusetts end up loving New York. I mean, just look at New York. That's a great point. She wants to impose laws. Johnny Damon. She's going to rename it New Mass. You know, I wrote the song Sweet Caroline about Neil Diamond. That is true. Neil Diamond wrote Sweet Caroline about Caroline Kennedy. Is that true? Yeah. Really? I didn't know that. He really did? No, he really did. I actually did. She's a great American. Is that right? She is. You want to know who else is a great American? Who? Yan Can Cook. I don't think he's a great American. That man can cook and he would fight for us if it came down to it. I don't know about that.
You know, Yan Can Cook was actually my inspiration for this song right here. He was my inspiration for this song. I don't know if I believe this. It doesn't make any sense, Neil. Would you like to hear it? Well, yeah, I mean, I would. I'm going to read you the lyrics that I originally wrote before that fat manager behind me told me I needed to change it so it would be radio friendly. The song was originally about... Yan Can Cook, Martin Yan. That's a good personal friend of mine. I don't believe you. Continue. Let's do this thing. Yeah. Let me put on my cape. Oh, it's so glittery. You ever been to a Neil Diamond concert before? Yes, I have. You're about to now. Okay, well, I said I had. Yan. Oh, yeah. You're an American Yan. Your name rhymes with can. You look just like that fan. I don't think that that's fine. You want to play hardball with me? Here's another guitar. Don't give him another one. Stop doing that. I needed the other one. I appreciate it. That was dangerous.
You don't think Carolyn Kennedy would make a great prime minister in New York? Well, I do. Why don't you listen to the words of the songs I originally wrote for Carolyn Kennedy? Wouldn't it be the actual words? Yeah, it would have been, Eddie, except my fat manager, Morty. See the guy over on his black... When I was three. I opened my first gun store. When I was nine, I laundered cash. Okay, I don't... What? Then after school, I tried my hand at boxing. That's how I met Caroline Kennedy. At boxing? Charlie Chan. Mel Tormeis. To Wong Fu. Sweet turkey pie. It's a tiny piece. I'm drinking. Sweet Rick D. You don't want me to sing? I won't sing. I won't sing. I'm sorry to wake you. Clearly busy.
Sorry, Neil. I got something wicked bad in my eye. Let me tell you. It's called a guitar. You little punks want to know something from old Uncle Neil? Don't go there, Neil. What's up, buddy? I'll start with this. Get mad. Did you guys know that I was a big supporter of Kennedy back in the day? Camelot, all that jazz? Oh, wow. I never knew that. That's weird. Unlike these Clintons. Oh, no. All they did. Let me tell you something, Eddie. Since I got your ear. Yeah, you do. Literally. All those Clintons did when they were in office was smoke their Indian peyote and have their sex parties where you drop the keys in the bowl.
I don't think you smoke it. Actually reminds me of a ditty I wrote back in 1976. Let's do this one time for you. Let's do this. 76? Come on, get over here. This is where it's at. Sit on my lap now. I don't want to. Cracklin' Carolyn, get on board. You big fat ape, you can't do anything. Get this. Appreciate it anyway. Well, that's unfortunate. It's always popping off. I dated 34 Carolines in one year back in the 80s. 34? Why? That's impressive. Well, Eddie, I told them all that they were the inspiration for the song. Okay, that's not nice at all. That's not nice at all. Nicely played. They don't blow up in my face, though, Eddie. Why? Because that show Caroline and the City came on. Wait, that was fake. And I told them all I created that for them, too. Oh, that was a bad idea. Neil revealed that old Uncle Neil was alive. Yeah, he went too far. May have pushed my luck on that one. Yeah, you did. You got greedy. I got greedy. I got greedy. I thought it was going well. Yeah, it did. It did. I wanted it all.
Calm down, Neil. Oh, really, young kids? Then let's sing a song so you can all get high on your little goofy shrooms. I don't even know what those are. I'll tell you what they are. Eddie, you ever been on the subway in New York City before? Well, once. Well, it's disgusting and filthy, Eddie. It's filled with a bunch of armpit hair smoking Blackberry MP3 and little monsters. Let's do this one time. Caroline Kennedy. But you can call me. You're Jewish, Elvis, because I'm... Oh, I'm sorry. Did I throw you off there? A little bit. Well, then take this. You guys all right? I didn't mean to hit you in the scapula. Apparently, it bounced off my rotator cuff and hit her in the scapula. I think she was looking the other way. Well, we were standing back to back, apparently. Oh, no. What the hell?
Shut your mouth. You have the floor. You have the floor. Listen to me. Don't look at him in the eye. All right. When you see me walking down the street, you better hide those Mary Jane dusters. What is that? I don't even know what that is. Let me tell you something. I wrote a song for Jillery Clinton, and it was one of the most... Jillery? What is that? It was one of the most popular songs ever. It was called Girl, You'll Be a Man Soon. Listen to me. This is a message for the two of you with your phalanges. No, don't. They're together. of yours. Oh, really? Both of you two are high. I can see it in your faces. I don't do nothing. Look at Uncle Neil. I'm looking at you. High little kids. They are. I gave it to them. Smoking your doobie brothers. That's a band, Neil. Both of you kids are going to end up just like that late... You're going to both have your late 1980s Dennis Miller haircuts, I guarantee it. What does that even mean?
And I've been there, done that. It's the same haircut that Jillery Clinton wears right now. It's hit with an H. Silent J. You want to know where Jillery went to school? Stop saying that. I don't know. She went to the University of Male Haircuts. That's what she wants. Not nice, Neil. I wrote a little ditty. Well, stick with your song. I wrote a ditty for Caroline Kennedy, all right? All right. And I wrote it, I want you to know with love. You're a good old girl. That's so sweet. No, I'm a father figure to society, Eddie. I've never heard that. I've never heard that, but okay. I'm telling you that I... I'm not disagreeing. That's what people have told me. I'm Neil Diamond. I read it on those blog blasts they put up there and those incompetent inner websites and all that. I don't know that you're that savvy, Neil Diamond.
I got a song for you. Oh, good. Yes. Here we go. Come on. Nice. I feel like we've heard this already. Go with the bit, you bunch of saucy. When it began. Yeah. Well, I can begin to tell you how much Caroline Kennedy made it pass at me. Wait. Wait a minute. Well, she got me drunk. Oh, what? Hold on. And then she tried to kiss me. I don't think. But I took one look at those hairy armpits and dirty fingernails and all their skin, and I said, why don't you take a shower, you filthy ass? Get out of my face. I'm so sorry. I don't know what to do with that one. You know, Eddie, why don't you and her go to some Grateful Dead concert together? No, I don't want to be with her, Neil. She's not making any sense. Creepy petty vans. Really ridiculous right now. To go hit on Jerry Garcia, the both of you. Get out of here. He's dead. I don't.
I'm sorry, Neil. I'm sorry to break that to you. No! Mari, get him some tissue. Mari! Why didn't you tell me? Oh, no. I love the Mikey show. You know what? You guys are awesome. Thank you, brother. What did you think about that one? It didn't work. I like the way that flowed right off the tongue. Not at all, Neil. It is. 1-800-777-4-A-I-S. Neil, you missed your cue. 1-800-4... No, 1-800... Oh, my God. You don't even get the number right. 7-7-7-4-A-I-S. Lori, I'm not a cue card. Fine, if you don't want to do this, that would be good for you. No, don't you do it. Tramp. Who is I? 1-800-7-7-4-A-I-S. 777. I'm furious. For AIS. Hey. Hi. You going to Doug and Mary's holiday party tonight? Oh, yeah. Hey, what are you bringing? I don't know. Anyway, I've been racking my brain trying to think of the perfect holiday party gift. A 12-pack of refreshing Corona or Corona Lite.
Shows you've got manners and taste. You know, something classy but practical. And it's classy yet practical. Oh, well, I'm stumped. Why aren't you listening to me? Um, your conscience seems to be... So what are you bringing? Well, a 12-back of refreshing Corona or Corona Lite. Ding, ding, ding. Finally, someone with an IQ above that of a mountain goat. Wow, that's a great idea. Are we having fun yet? Oh, yeah, this commute's just been a nightmare here this morning. The rain is still dumping down pretty heavy in some spots in the county, so if you haven't left the door yet, you've got to go somewhere, give yourself some extra time. The freeways are still pretty jammed. You are going to need it. Right now, 805 northbound over the South Bay, still struggling out of Chula Vista all the way up into the Golden Triangle. Your northbound 5 is still heavy coming out of downtown, past the airport through Mission Bay and past Mount Soledad. Southbound is over the 15th. Still a bumper-to-bumper ride up to 78 all the way down over Lake Hodges. That continues slow into Rancho Bernardo, Poway down to the Miramar area. The West 8 ride has been quite a nightmare as well here this morning. Still finding a slow ride here from Greenfield Drive here in the Cajon Valley. Spotty stuff over the Grossmont Summit until you get to around Lake Murray. And then from there, it's a pretty solid slow ride all the way in to Hotel Circle. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. like to go to high school now. You know, when I hear songs like this, I'm like, you know, we... Just wish I could do it again knowing what I know. Welcome back. It's 9.30. Ryan Seacrest is being accused of stealing the idea for his new reality show, Mama's Boy, which aired last night. The Aztecs have a new head coach. Brady Hoke was introduced. To the media yesterday, he talks about what really is the Aztecs' biggest problems, recruiting. It really wasn't as much what I heard as what I knew about this program, about this university that really excited us. We have been at Ball State for six years, and I think the goal mind in recruiting out here and the talent-laden, you know, California, you know, and recruiting it for so long, Chris, I really think it's a great opportunity. Oh, boy.
Well, get it done, man. Keep our kids here. Yeah. And, you know, make them, like, make them, like, UCLA. You know, like, pay them. Give them hearts. Yeah, give them thousands of dollars. Whatever, yeah. Do it. You know, jewels, diamonds. Yeah. Know what I'm saying? For sure. Mikey, how is it that someone who thinks that the Alamo is, quote, like, sing-song, unquote, knows what an occipital forearm is? He went confused. Mikey, I love Neil Diamond. That's P1 Rainbow Corps. This one says, Mikey, I love it when Neil Diamond stops by. Why do you suppose he's so angry? That's P1 Welder Boy. I think he's just old and grumpy. He's old and grumpy. Mikey's show is the best. You all make my mornings amazing. Thank you so much. That's P1 Mr. Lucky. Awesome! Mikey, concerning Hitler. It wasn't meth that he was using. That didn't exist yet. It was straight amphetamine. That's P1 syrup. Yep. Old school. That's right. For the record, I went to sports med in high school. Oh, look at you. And considered majoring in kinesiology. That was the other thing I wanted to see with my life. Wow. I'm not kidding. You could hurt with the kinesiology. Oh, boy. You have telekinesiology. Right. Now you go. Hey, Mikey Show, could you possibly throw a shout out to all those out there driving to please put their lights on? Thank you. Oh, come on. You're not doing it yet? Thanks for cheering up my day.
Put your lights on. Hey, hothead, relax. See what, Amy? Take it down. If we were in mass, people would all have the lights on. It's the lower. Can't drive through there. Hey, listen. They didn't build that big dig so people could drive through it. That's right. That's right. Go take a duck tour. Thank you. Head up chairs. That's right. You'll be shocked at what the inside looks like. Yeah, shocked. What the hell? Oh, man. That's weird. Would you guys like to do... A little of this. Hit it! Now, The Mikey Show presents... The search for the truth behind the words. The logic behind the lyrics. It's time to play... Lyrical Gangster. Aw, yeah. I love it. Let's see, where's my gangsta? Where's my gangsta? I got it. Where are my gangstas? I got it. Where is it? 570-1053 if you want to play Lyrical Gangsta. The idea is that you just need to know... Sean? Hey! How does he do that? Every time he does that, Mike. He knows it grows you off and he does it on purpose. It's very inappropriate. Well, he knows my limitations. And, you know, he toys with them. Games are hard enough. You know what I mean? So give me half of a break. I apologize. Well, don't let it happen again. All right. Now we're playing for Motley Crue and Hinder Tickets. Ooh, dang. Whoa. You call us at 570-1053.
And here's what we do. We will give you three different categories, and you just pick one. And we're going to give you lyrics to those types of songs. You just got to tell us what it is. What are the categories? I'm going to see what I'm good at. Today, our categories are divas. Oh, no thank you. 70s classics. I'm pretty good at that. I love that one. 80s pop. Oh, come on. All right, me and Sean. Alliance. Alliance. P1. Big time. Well, you guys can't play. P1 Brent. What? Yeah. Brent, how are you? I'm great. What are you doing right now? I'm waiting in the drive-thru at McDonald's. Nice. What are you going to get? I'm not sure yet. Yes, you are. You're embarrassed. They don't have it. They don't. It's so good, dude. It soaks in that barbecue sauce all day. A little bit of pickle, a little bit of onion. When do they bring that back? Do we know? Or it's always a surprise? It's not there. I'm here. Is it? No, no, no. The McRib? Oh, the McRib. Yeah, dude.
So good. Do they surprise us with the McRib? Yeah, it comes back periodically. Time to time. I got McDonald's yesterday for lunch and I felt really guilty. I told my wife. I said, I don't usually, after I have it, I don't usually feel guilty. I felt guilty yesterday. I need to wait longer amounts of time. What's the last time you had fast foods, guy? Yesterday. Okay. We're on the same page with that one then. P1 Brent. Your categories are divas, 70s classics, and 80s pop. I like 80s pop, but I don't want to pitch Sean off and get it wrong, so I'll go 70s classics. Smart. Good choice. Good choice. Your 70s pop question is, in the song Slow Ride by Foghat, he says, I'm in the mood. The rhythm is right. Move to the music. We can roll all. What? You got that right, buddy. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Don't do that. Red, green, yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow. High score. P1. That's like the first song you play. P1, Mike Neese. Hey. How you doing? Pretty good. What are you up to, dude? Where are you at? I'm sitting on Mission Gorge Road in Santa Rain. Is the traffic real bad there right now? Not on Mission Gorge Road. It was on C2.
It was bad on the 52? Yep. People got to be careful. Are your lights on? Can you hear me? Are your ears on? Hey, Mike, can you hear me, buddy? Yeah, I can hear you. You got your lights on? Yeah, I have my lights on. Very good. Good boy. Very good. Okay, dude, I'm going to give you your categories there. Your categories are divas, 70s classics, and 80s pop. Divas. Let's do it. Your divas question is, in the song Womanizer by Britney Spears. Oh, I love it. Womanizer by Britney Spears. She says, you got the swagger of a what? Lagger. Like it. Swagger of a lagger? Oh, yeah. It is not lager. It's pronounced lager. It's the swagger of a champion. Stop it. Shut up. You're the amazing. With a little watermelon.
It's not how you make it, by the way. It's not that you make it. It's weird. It's actually prosciutto and melon, but not watermelon. Have you ever tried it? That's my issue. That's my issue. That's my issue. I mean, if you're going to change the lyrics, change it to something more delicious. I'm sorry. Change it to something more pleasing to the palate. I will. I'll keep that in mind. Sorry, Mike Neese. Hall of Famer P1 Sanjaya. Hey, Sanjaya. Good morning, San Diego. There he is. What are you doing? I'm just chilling, dude, at work playing the game with the Mikey show. There you go. Hey, Sanjaya, I am going to give you three categories and you pick one, all right? Okay. Your categories are 70s classics, 80s pops, 80s pop, and divas. Divas. Let's hope it's hard. Your divas question is, in the song So What by Pink, she says, so, so what, I'm still a rock star. I got my rock what? My rock on? Are you kidding me, dude? I got my rock.
I got my rock moved. That was actually that made it through the radio. Who said that? Man, I guess I'm not as gay as I thought I was. That's right. I can't believe you. Really? I'm lame. Sorry, dude. Love you guys. All right, man. We'll see you. I have a military haircut. P1 Marcus. What's up? How are you? I'm great. Yourself? You sitting in traffic or are you at work already? I'm at work out in Hamul. Ooh. Hamul. Hamul. What do you do? Hamul, you do. I'm putting in a fire sprinkler system out here. Really? Yeah. So what, like, what do you work for? Who does that? Just independent. Like a contractor. Contractor. That's cool. That's cool. You know, Eddie and I beat Sky this morning in the Handyman Challenge. That is a lot. That is a lot.
Two out of three? That's not how the score is. That's not how the score is. I think two out of three in most places gives you a win. No, that's not how it's right. Two out of three equals a win. But dot, dot, dot. P1 Marcus, your categories are divas, 80s pop, and 70s classics. I'll take 80s pop. You got it. Yes. Your 80s pop question is in the song Papa Don't Preach by Madonna. She says, I've made up my mind. I'm keeping what? My baby. You got it. Yes. Oh, yeah. That's not how it goes. Very well done, Marcus. Very well done. Hang on the line. And finally, ladies and gentlemen, he's got the voice of an angel. Oh, is it? I think it is. Oh, my goodness. It's P1 Buckley, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, look at him. Look at him. Oh, wow. Buckley, how are you? I'm doing pretty good. How are you guys doing? Good, man. What are you up to? Working hard, working hard. Staying out of the rain. Okay, Sean. Oh, for goodness sake. Buckley, your categories are...
80s pop, divas, and 70s classics. And I'm sorry that our dog wee-weed all over your shoes walking into our house. We'll put him in the bedroom and close the door. Wait, huh? I'll do a 70s classic. 70s classics. Really? I like it. Wow. Your 70s classics trivia question is in the song Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf. He says, close your eyes, girl. Look inside, girl. Let the sound take you. Let the sound take you away. He's fantastic. That guy's going to love the crew. Buckley, congratulations. You know this already, but you're a winner. Awesome! This is one of the most underrated bands I think ever. I love this band. I love Oasis. It is not Oasis. It is not Oasis. Third Eye Blind is great. It is not Third Eye Blind. Matt Fox 20 is so good. Before you say it, it's not Eagle Eye Cherry. I know you guys. I know you guys. Jim Blossom. Soul Asylum. Okay, it's... Who is it? It's Vertical Horizon. Oh. When We Come Back.
When we come back, I'm going to tell you how an Australian couple got served. This is great. Oh, you got served? You got served. Wait till I tell you how this Australian couple got served. We'll do it right after this. What's a P1? Someone that turns down their radio, they get to the point, they don't cuss, and they listen to the Mikey Show exclusively. That is correct. That was not what... Eddie, will you open that? Will you open the blinds behind you? Yeah. I want to see out there. Open up. Oh, baby. I want to see what you got going. I tried to ask him this morning, but he says I get too distracted. You do get very distracted. Oh, look at that rain. Wow. Better get Noah on the phone.
What are we going to do when we get him on the phone? Start building. Gathering up the animals. If you haven't shut off your sprinklers, figure it out. Have you shut off your sprinklers? No. Well, you should. My grass needs watering. What do you think? I have a rain feature on mine. What does that do? When it rains, it doesn't work. You're better than me. Dang it. You were correct. I bet you have a TiVo, too. No, no. Look at this guy. I am DVR, though. I bet you make an all-American lunch. Okay. I'm so over that. I know. How many times? The handyman photos are up. Oh, really? Oh, they are? I don't care. You can go see how I won two out of the three challenges. Yeah, but not the one that much. The photos are up at MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. So basically, I had to win all three to win. Yeah, the first two didn't matter. The first two were like barbaric stuff. They were. Barbaric stuff. Caveman, like, you know, chores. Caveman chores were the first two. That's part of being a handyman. Sure, I mean, what should we have done? What would have been, you know, non-barbaric? Something that she could win. I see, I see. Yeah, like tiling. We'll just set up a tiling bit. Yeah, well, they were able to set up.
You know, the light switches. Just got an email from NBC 739 field reporter Mari Payton that says, hey, Mikey and gang, I took this photo from a live shot this morning in Mount Laguna where we are. It's at about 5,000 feet. It's been snowing all morning. Chains are required at anything above 3,000 feet. Wow. Who says San Diegans can't have a nice white? Christmas. Happy holidays. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Look at this. Well said. Look at this, you guys. Look at that. Oh, it looks like back home. Yeah. Let's go, Rob. All right. Let's get some sleds. Yeah, dude. I wonder if Boy Blender could drive in that effectively. Mike, don't bring it up, Mike. Don't go there. I just heard that one like. Three weeks ago is the greatest thing ever. So angry. Oh, my goodness. He was so mad he stayed in the car, and finally we were like, we better go out there and talk to him. He's so mad. What happened? I consulted him. He grew up in Big Bear, and I said I was giving directions on how to drive from the backseat. I was being a backseat driver when he was driving me and Eddie and Nick St. Dennis to this bar called Champs.
in Dallas where we were going to have New Year's Eve. Rebecca was there too. Yeah, Rebecca was there because we went to that Brazilian barbecue place where they cut the meat with the big giant swords on your plate. I remember Nick Scalby in there. That was the first time Rebecca had ever seen snow. Oh, wow. And so Boy Blunder's driving us to Champs and I'm backseat driving and he didn't say a word. But inside, he was seething. No, he did say words. He snapped. He turned around and snapped at you guys, and I had just met the guy, and I was like, whoa, this guy's like a hothead. Oh, that's right. Once we got close to the restaurant, you're right, he snapped. Yeah. I grew up in Big Bear. I know what I'm doing. Oh, no. I grew up in Big Bear. And he was so mad. He was so mad that he didn't go in the restaurant with us. He stayed in the car. He stayed out in the car. Which was fun by me. Oh, I bet that sounds like fun. The more you get to know him, like how meek.
and, like, meager he is. He's meagely sensitive. He doesn't say anything. He's very passive. He's very passive. Very much so. So it was really out of character for him. But there's some hot buttons. Oh, yeah. And if you hit it. Is the way he manages money? Well, if women. Yeah, women cannot comment. He doesn't like you to comment. He does not like women to comment on what he's eating. No way. Like, if you were to say to him, for instance, if you were a woman, and you went, Did you order two of those? She always does. Bad idea to say that. You're going to get your head removed from your body. His girl would say that. His whole body posture would change to like, yeah, I did. Yeah, I did order two. Why? Are you counting them? I love that kid. Before we went to break, I told you that an Australian couple got served. papers, or legal notice, in a very interesting way. How? This is different. So, this couple owed like $150,000 on a loan, and they weren't paying it, and they ignored all the subpoenas that were sent to them, and then they moved, they disappeared, they no longer worked at their job, so basically they weren't able to find them. Well, what they did find was they both had Facebook pages. Oh, suckers. Foiled again.
So they went to the court and said, hey, can you make it legal so we can serve these people over Facebook? Their Facebook page lists their full name, their date of birth, you know, things that can confirm their identity. And so the judge said, yes, you can. And so they served them. What are you doing right now? Getting served. Yes. Yes. You've been robbed. That is new. That's a first. I'm going to go ahead and delete that then. That's right. Right. Zed sent me a text that said that I should describe the car. I think it is worth describing the car that we were in that night. Oh, that's not right, Zed. I mean, the poor kids. It's important to the story. Did you know this part of the story, Rob? Blunder used to drive what we called the Barbie mobile. Oh, that's cute. I think it was called a tracker. Yes. A geo tracker. A geo tracker. It's like the girliest cars ever. And at one time, it had been red. But it had faded so much that it was pink. Pink. Oh. Very pink. There it is. Yeah. There's a Barbie mobile. Oh, my God. Put, put, put, put, put, put, put, put. That is adorable. I grew up in Big Bear. Yeah. I drove a tracker. Don't you tell me. I want a Burrito Supreme. Wait. I don't think. I made it with five of them. Okay. Stop it.

Put a nice little range in there. A little plethora of my range in there for you. This is Ashley doing a lower note. Converse! Software! 7.0! It's like Albanian karaoke. The Croatian sensation. Slovakian. Slovakian. That guy is good. I love Borat. He has a wonderful physique.
Marsha Cross has signed on to become the new face of Mott's Applesauce. What? Finally they got her. Ladies and gentlemen, this just in. I'm Tom Brokaw. We are getting credible information right now from the State Department that Marsha Cross... Hang on, I'm hearing something in my ear. Yes. Get it, guys? We have to make sure this information is credible before we put it out to the American people. Yes, I am getting a note here that says, yes, Marsha Cross is going to be the new face of Mott's applesauce. We now rejoin days of our lives. Already in progress. It had been spanky from our gang for years. And so, yeah, they're trying to get in this generation. Oh, wow. That's great. How much do you think being the face of Mott's applesauce is worth? Wow. What does one make to be the face of Mott's applesauce? Because let me tell you something. I would be the face of Mott's applesauce in a heartbeat. Like, what do I care? I'll do it. Sure. But I'm not.
Marsha Cross, you know, like, you know, Marsha Cross, she's a star, big star. She's on Desperate Housewives, you know. And you would think that she would want to be maybe the face of, you know, like Estee Lauder. You know what I mean? Which one is she? Is she the redhead? Yes. So she's got, I know she's got babies. Oh, that's who that is? Yeah, she just had twin babies like a year or two ago. So she's got babies? So you know, Mike, she's, you know, no one wants her, so. She's doing stuff. No, no, no. No, that's not what I meant. I meant, like, no dudes want any part of that. That's all I was trying to. She's gorgeous. But when you have kids in applesauce, like, kids eat applesauce. That makes sense, right? Yeah, they're saying that's the focus of the campaign. Her letting other parents know that each cup of applesauce contains a full serving of fruit. Really? Yeah. What? Oh, boy! And 900 grams of sugar. Jim Carrey is talking about how he was suffering with depression. Too much money? Yes. He was taking Prozac.
something up with the prozac or something well yeah i i didn't know this but he uh was talking about how he's battled depression since childhood and that um you know he said at the risk of opening up the whole tom cruise prozac argument he says he actually doesn't disagree with tom cruise um completely on you know that issue he says that Prozac and other prescription drugs are good for people for short periods of time, but he doesn't think that you should be on them forever because you never get to the bottom of the problem. I kind of, well, yeah. I think that I would agree with that. You know, and I, in my own mind, can't figure out what I think about chemicals. It doesn't matter what it is. Like, I take Claritin and I spray Nasonex and I'm also ADD and take Adderall. So I wonder, like, I mean, I'm taking it every single day. So I wonder, does it do anything to my stuff? Everything. My brain, everything. This is a great story. Apparently, the first U.S. face transplant has taken place. Face. Face. On your face. I hope they did it with Rachel Ray. Remember that documentary, Face Off?
They already did it. They already did it with John Travolta. It was in like the 90s. It was John Travolta. That was in a documentary. Christian Slater? Yeah, Christian Slater. No, that was a completely different movie. I thought it was Christian Slater and John Travolta. Broken Arrow. Oh, yeah. Nick Cage. Oh, yeah. Nick Cage. That's right. That was a movie, guys. All right. Yeah, documentary. No, no, no. Okay. Well, we remember the world's first. We saw it in Hillcrest, though. It was at that little theater there, the Independent. That's not what it's called. That's all they show is documentaries there, right? That's it. Well, they show other things. Landmark is what it's called. All right. Well, back in 2005. Hey, listen. Me and Eddie know our Hillcrest establishment. What do you want? What is wrong with that? I hit up Corvette Diner and then I go watch some independent films. What's the big deal? Me too. So we're together at the time. What's the big deal? What's the problem? Wearing matching sweaters. What are you getting at? Okay. Hey, you. What happened?
Have I what? Will you stop promoting it? Forget it. It's there. Rob put that picture on his blog. Such a jerk. On accident. The picture on Rob's blog is so infuriating. It's the picture. That picture's not bad enough. I know. It's a gem. A picture of Fat Me from 1992 with Eddie. With his mullet. Both of our mullets. Oh, you gotta look. And it's been... Got photoshopped. Got photoshopped to have me and Eddie wearing matching sweaters. Oh, that is special. I'm trying to figure out how to get that into a Christmas card so I can mail those to everybody. You're a jerk. I know you're gay. So irritating, man. Zeth and Ashley both have those pictures as their screensavers. Oh, I wouldn't do that. Never changing it. Some of your old pictures. Messed up. Yeah, let's see some of yours. Let's see some of your chubby pictures. Who ate Ashley? My fat pictures are electric. How old are you? How old are you? 18, 19. She went through a chubby phase. Oh, I am. Oh, wow. Good. Putting it mildly. Yeah. Mommy was hungry. What do you want? Yeah, buddy. Mommy didn't work out.
She just ate. And drank. So, Skye, tell me about the first face transplant. Well, so this is the first one here in the U.S. Back in 2005 in France, they did one where this chick got her face all mauled up by a dog. I remember that. And they did like a partial face transplant on her. Well, this one. Did they take it from a cadaver? This one is a near total face transplant where they removed the face from a female cadaver. No way. No way. No way. Did you get all the memories and stuff? I don't know. If it was like a serial killer, then you're going to be a serial killer. That's how it works. What was the issue? Why did she need it? They don't specifically say here in this article. They just refer to her as severely disfigured is what they say. Man. Yeah. I don't know that I could do that. Well, wait a minute. I mean, obviously you would choose that over. being mangled. How can that look right? How does that work? Does it move with your... I want to see it. I bet they'll have it on the Today Show. They'll probably interview them. Meredith Vieira will be interviewing. She'll interview the face. Just the face. Literally. Some dude in Mission Valley was drunk, took cops on a high-speed chase all the way to Poway.
Sorry. Rob, how many times have we talked to you about this? Yeah, this was last night about 8.30. I'm drunk. At least the roads weren't dangerous at all. No, not slick or anything. Yeah, cops saw a guy driving erratically on the 163 near the 8 and so started to put his lights on and then the dude floored it and took off and then drove into Poway on Poway Road and then finally they got a spike. Did he take the 15 there? Does it say? Well, they say on the 163 near the 8. So, yeah, you would assume. 163 near the 8 to Poway. So maybe he took the 163. Yeah, he just kept going on 163. Yeah. Look out. Finally, they were on Pomerado Road when they threw down a spike strip. And the guy blew his tires and obviously didn't go any further. I'm going to Google. Or go to YouTube and put spike strip. Those are cool to see. I like spike strip maneuver. You know what maneuver? I love the pit maneuver. That's my favorite, where they come up on the back quarter of your car and they pull into it and it spins you out. They say that it's really kind of hard to perform, but I don't know. On TV, they make it look easy. I'm always like, why don't you just do a pit maneuver? I smell a bit.
Yeah. Oh, let's do it. That does not sound safe. So in on that. So safe. No, I don't think so, Sean. Today's the first day, or was yesterday the first day of preliminary hearings in the trial of the girl from Scripps Ranch? Yesterday. Yesterday. It's the girl that killed her mom, right? Yeah, the adopted girl. She was 14 years old at the time this went down, killed her mom with a hammer. I remember the story. This was from earlier this year or last year? Earlier this year, May 25th is when it happened, and she was 14 years old at the time. And, you know, yesterday was the first day of preliminary hearings, and they want to try her as an adult for murder. Yeah, so her dad took the stand to, you know, talk about what happened on that day, cut 59. All of a sudden, I guess I had put two and two together immediately that something had happened very bad. I saw a hammer in her hand. Do you remember?
No. What did she do? She had it vertical and she swung it at me. And she said, I want you to kill me. I said, no, I'm not going to do it. And she said, there's a gun. Get a gun. Yeah, sounds like a very disturbed girl. Some of her friends testify that she would say on multiple occasions how she wanted to kill her mom with a baseball bat. And, like, on her cell phone, her mom was in there listed as Vulture was the name she used for her mom in her cell phone. And, you know, her dad spoke about how it seems like she has two personalities, one just a really sweet, nice young girl, and the other is very aggressive with this really creepy sexual nature. I wonder what the problem with the mom was.
What her issue was with the mom. Well, they said that she was upset right before she killed her because the mom had searched her room. Because this girl had been known to do cutting. She was, you know, the parents obviously knew she was disturbed. Probably just being a mom. Yeah, being a mom, basically. You know, anyone who knew this mom just has nothing but wonderful things to say. I mean, they adopted this girl. They took this girl in when she was really young and, you know, raised her as their own. That's too bad. Very sad. Vice President Cheney was on Good Morning America yesterday. Cut four. What are you going to miss most about this job? Well, I'm looking forward to return to private life. It's been 40 years since I came to Washington to stay 12 months. And I think it's about time I went and did something else. Regrets? Shooting my friend in the face. Not finishing the job. Not a lot at this stage. I think given the circumstances we've had to deal with, I think we've done pretty well. After the interview, the vice president reflected further on his place in history. Got to miss it, huh? Yeah. There's no question about it. I've loved being vice president. And I've loved my time in government, being secretary of defense or board's chief of staff.
Maybe I'll write a book. Yeah, I think there could be some material there. A few stories. Hey, what did you think, Cheney, about Bush getting a shoe thrown at him? Cut three. What did you think when you saw that shoe flying at the president? I thought the president handled it rather well. He had some good moves, the way Duckton avoided the shoe, and then what was his response, that it was a size 10? He was even able to pick out that it was a size 10. Eddie, you're going to love this. Now it's time for the YouTube clip of the day. This is pretty cool. What is it? At a DJ competition, this DJ has two of the same records on his two turntables, okay? And first of all, it takes an extraordinary ear to hear this, to be able to, for the guy, the DJ, to have heard the note and go, I can do something with that.
And then it's something else to be able to have the talent to actually do it and put it together. But he uses one note from the records to create what you will recognize. Cut 60. That's cool. That is awesome. That's pretty cool. Oh, sweet. Yeah. Is that chemical, Ali? Yeah, I don't know. He was spitting them. That's pretty cool. That's very cool. Let's see. Mikey just got done looking at the picture on B-Rob's blog. That's a nice picture of Eddie and Kevin Smith. That is not cool. That is from P1 Cut the Mullet. Wow. Holy cow. Guilty as charged. Does look a little bit like Kevin Smith. We did have Mullet up here for a while. Did we have to take it down, Ash? Is that what happened? I'll be up there because I didn't move it. Oh, it might have gotten replaced. Let's see. Mikey.
How ugly would you have to be if a corpse's face would look better on you? That's P1 Donovan. Yeah, but then it grows. You know what I mean? Can you grow mustaches still? What the hell? Can you what, Sagan? Oh, I wonder if you can. Can you? No? Sky, you're a doctor. I am not. What is going on? I'm the nurse. You're the doctor. I'm the doctor. My nurse. Nurse. Nurse. Mikey, I could get you a spike strip. That's P1 No Name. How? Okay, why? Let's do this. Whoa, hold on. Let's do this. Let's not do this. I would, no. Are you sure? No. Yeah, it might be fun. How much fun would that be? Cut that mullet. Do something about your long, filthy hair. It looks like a rat's nest. Do something about your mullet. Get out the hair clippers, jerk. Hey, don't call me a jerk.
Get my son, Jake. Get my wife on the phone. Okay. He loves Cut the Mullet. Well, he loves Cut the Mullet, but he's never heard the real song. Dad just sings it to him. Oh, my God. Oh, it makes him laugh so hard. That is random. It really makes him laugh. He loves the song Cut the Mullet. Oh, Jake. And so maybe we can get him to sing it. It'd be funny because he does sometimes. No, you go. Let's see if he'll sing it. Let's see. Coldplay's record label. is getting the Coldplay-Satriani mashup removed from YouTube. Yeah, they said, get that thing off there.
I would guess that the reason that they would want it off is they don't want it tainting any future jury. Yeah. You know, if you don't know the story, Satriani's song, If I Could Fly, that came out in 2004, is very similar to Coldplay's big hit, Viva La Vida, that came out in 2008. And so Satriani says he tried to talk to Coldplay about it. They wouldn't talk with him. So he finally had to file a lawsuit. And he has. And it's going to go to a jury. And so someone on YouTube took the two songs and put them on top of each other so you can hear how similar they are. Cut 65. Yeah, if you put them on top of each other. Yeah, so the record label won't say exactly why they requested it to be pulled, but everybody's like, yeah, this could be very damaging for Coldplay, so they don't want anyone to hear that anymore. Well, I'm wondering, if you're a jury member and you've never, ever heard... the Coldplay song. You never heard them both. They have as much of an impact. Wouldn't that be part of your evidence in court? I think it will be. I think that they will introduce it. They'll probably play both songs solo and then do... See, if I'm Coldplay's people, A, I don't want to get... It's going to come into evidence no matter what. That's what Satriani's going to do. They're going to put it out there. And so...
What I don't want to do is I don't want, I don't, first of all, I don't want them to hear it. You know, obviously you don't want anybody to hear it. Uh, but secondly, you don't want to mess. You don't want to taint it. You know what I mean? Um, but I wonder what it'd be like if you never heard the song, if you still would like, it's so clear, right? Yeah. Well, they're, you know, when they pick the jury, they're going to look for people who have no knowledge of Coldplay or Satriani, so it'll be fresh years for everybody. I wonder why they didn't just talk to, like, you said Satriani tried to reach out to them? Oh, reached out to them multiple times, and even Chris Martin from Coldplay, like, joked about it. Yeah. Can't do it. Brutal. Hey, honey. Yeah, hi. Is Jake with you? Yeah. Do you think that I could get him to sing Cut the Mullet? Uh, we can try. All right, let me talk to him. I'm going to put you on, okay? All right. Hi, Bubba. It's Johnny. Hi, Jay. Hi, Bubba. Hey, you want to hear Cut the Mullet? Cut the Mullet? Yeah. Okay, here we go. Do something about your long, filthy hair. It looks like a rat's nest. Do something about your mullet. Get out the hair, clippers jerk. Hey, Bubba. Your turn. Can you sing that? Bubba, sing Cut the Mullet.
There you go. Cut the mullet. Bubba, sing Cut the Mullet. Live radio, everybody. I hope you enjoy it. I'm going to try one more time. Hey, you sing it with him and see if he'll do it with you. I'm going to try. Hang on. Hold on. Hold on. Okay. You sing. Sing Cut the Mullet. Thanks, man. Cut the Mullet. That's pretty good. Thanks, Bub. Thank you, Bubba. There you go. That was great. I love it. I love you. I love you, too. I can tell, too, when I get the that's what you're going to get. Like, I can tell that's what you're going to get, Dad. And that is a stretch. Like, you're getting this right now, and I'm not doing anything else. I'm doing you a favor right now. Yeah, so I'm going to do you a real quick favor. I'm hooking you up. Don't ask me again. Don't ask me again, and then we're going to see what I get out of this.
They're announcing more actors and details about the office that's going to come on after the Super Bowl that Jack Black is going to be in. Yep. What do we got? Well, it's going to be an hour-long episode after the Super Bowl. Sweet. A few more celebrities added to the lineup. Yeah. Jessica Alba. Wow. Really? Not playing Jessica Alba, right? Come on. That's lame. And Cloris Leachman. Everyone's favorite. So NBC has now released some details about the episode saying that the actors will be playing characters in a bootleg movie which the people on the cast members of the office will be watching during work hours. I don't like that. Yeah, I don't like that as much as, you know. Doesn't Hollywood understand that the average Joe is going to hear that and go, no. Like, we were so excited yesterday when they said, oh, Jack Black's going to be on The Office and he's not going to play himself. And, you know, we expected him to, like, actually be in The Office and interacting with, you know, Jim and Pam and Dwight. The other thing that I hope about it is that it's not a jump the shark thing.
That people don't look back on it and go, remember when they started having celebrities do little guest spots? I hope it doesn't turn into that. Scarlett Johansson's planning another album. Oh, good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Her first one did so well. We don't have any, do we? Do we have any? We might have the one hook. No. That I made. See if we got something. No. I want to hear it. No. No. No. No. Yeah, so her first one was a cover album, which wasn't so good. And she's currently doing interviews for her new movie, The Spirit. And she says for her second album, she'd like it to be original songs. She's so pretty. Yeah, I like that way, way better. When it was called Nothing Compares to You by Sinead O'Connor. That's an unfortunate. Thank you. Somebody washed up on shore in IB yesterday. That was a seal. Oats. Yeah. Oats, were you out there throwing apples at it? Seth sees a seal. He's not sure if it's okay, but he's afraid to walk up to it, so he throws an apple at it.
afraid to walk up to it. He's too lazy to go walk over. That is correct. I just spit coke down his nose. I live on the third floor. It was raining. Thank you so much for just putting it out there. He goes out on the balcony and takes us. He's like, oh, what can I throw at it? An apple. Should I walk down there? No. It's like four steps. Yeah, it's like 20 feet at least. It's raining, you jerks. What are you doing out on the balcony then, jerk? It has an overhang. Okay, you jerk. Eat your All-American lunch. You don't start. Yeah, so yesterday in IB, yesterday morning, just before 8 a.m., a corpse was found down there. Yeah, they think it may have washed ashore. Looks like a guy between 1825. Oh, that's horrible. That's doing a Gallagher show over there. Come on. Hey, neighbors, put your tops on. I don't want to throw fruit at stuff. Something dead wash up, please. Hopefully this weekend something else will wash up and I'll throw some stuff at it. It's Ivy. I do four shows a week. So an autopsy will be performed later today. That's weird. Yeah. A weird story. Let's see. Any big...
What are you getting people that are complaining about the Chargers not sending more people to the Pro Bowl and this person got gypped and that person got gypped? Well, I mean, I think this is legitimate. I mean, yeah, they didn't have the best year, but there were certain players I definitely feel got snubbed. Who got snubbed? I can give you what I said. You got snubbed? Yeah, I remember that. I said a couple weeks ago on the pregame show who I thought should have gone. Who? And it is not the two players that were picked. I wouldn't have sent Antonio Gates or Chris Dielman. I didn't think either one of them had an all-pro year. But I would have said Mike Cyphers for sure. He was by far and away the best punter in the league this year. Really? They send Shane Leckler every year. You know a lot about sports if you know who was a good punter this year. You watch the game. That's a big part of the game. Field position is huge. Cyphers was great, man. That's impressive, man. He definitely deserves it. Kasim Osgood every year should go as the special teams player. I mean, he is unbelievable. That guy is the first guy down every single kickoff, every single punt. He should have gone. I think Jamal Williams had an outstanding year. Now, this means you've got to take people off. Yeah. You've got to take people off. Who didn't deserve to go?
Well, I mean. Over these guys. I'm not done yet with the Chargers. Holy cow. I think Phillip Rivers deserved to go this year. Talk about it. He had a huge season. He was the leading passer in the league almost the entire year. You know, I would have taken probably Jay Cutler off. I think Jay Cutler started strong, but he threw a lot of interceptions late. And so I would have put Phillip over him. And he has a little boy haircut. That is true. That's very true. Absolutely. You know, so there's a bunch of guys that. That all go because they're names. What about Fitzgerald? Did he go this year? Yes, he's in. He's a starter. That's good. He's good, right, Ash? Both of the Cardinals wide receivers are the starting wide receivers for the NFC. Because they're animals. What about that Pat Williams? Pat Williams is injured. Pat Williams is going to, though. He is injured, but he was named to the Pro Bowl. Well, okay, of course. Pat and Jamal Williams, both animals. She's something else, that lady over there. They're stallions. What about Kevin Williams? Not familiar. Okay. I like that. Take the honest approach. Not familiar with that gentleman. That individual. That guy is a maniac. He's going to the Pro Bowl as well. He deserves it. Calm down. How about Oklahoma running back, Eddie? DeMarco Murray. He had his hamstring torn all the way off the bone. Sky, relax. It's a hamstring. It's muscle. Shut up.
Yeah, I ripped the hamstrings right off the bone, too. Swallow them whole. Cartilage everything. Oh, yeah. Smoke that stuff. So you have to have surgery, and he's going to miss the BCS title game now. I hope he doesn't miss the bread. That's all I care about. Shut up. Over the teeth and through the gums. Look at our tummy. Here it comes. Oh, boy. We're good. Let's see. Am I forgetting anything big? Did I get it all out there, Skye? What do you think? I think so, my friend. Five, seven. Oh. Nope. 570. 1053? Yeah. Time Magazine top movies of, top 10 movies of 08. Oh, this better be Dark Knight, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Indiana Jones. Tropic Thunder. Tropic Thunder. Dark Knight's got to be number one. Yeah, Dark Knight's number one. Iron Man is number eight, and the rest of the ones you named are not on the list. Oh. Really, Dark Knight. Well, then you're a bad person. Really, Dark Knight. This is Time Magazine's list, not my list. Really, Dark Knight. Really, Dark Knight. Really, Dark Knight.
Really? It's a really dark night. Really dark night. Really dark night. Sky. That's pretty messed up of you, Sky. Dumb list. You sit at home and laugh about these things. What? Curled up in a blanket. Yeah. Giggling. Watching that wedding movie. Give me an example of one that made it. It's going to be infuriating. It's going to be so bad. Like something we've never even heard of. I don't want to. Something with subtitles. Normally when you want an example, I start with number 10, but you're going to yell. What is it? Encounters at the End of the World. Okay, just stop. Just get out of here with your list. I'm going to throw an apple at you. You're so pretentious. This isn't right. Number nine, Speed Racer. Speed Racer. What? No, we can't do this. Eddie's going to blow something. It got like Fs. It was awful. It got Fs. But wasn't it like groundbreaking? No. Like the technology or something? It was awful. She's like, but the cars they used, that was like groundbreaking technology. Yeah, like those cars went 1,000 miles an hour. That is, this is bogus. We can't. Well, this is what these lists have come to. It doesn't matter where the list comes from. It's like a dude that works there who basically tells you a bad opinion.
Number eight was Iron Man. This is no longer fun. Number eight was Iron Man. This is no longer fun. This is terrible. Number seven, Slumdog Millionaire. Have you heard about that? What is it about? It's about this Indian guy who's been in love with this girl forever and he goes on this Indian version. I'm not sure. He goes on some version of who wants to be a millionaire and he wins. It's a love story. He wins. He goes on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Yeah, I don't know if it's that exact show, but a version of that show. Sounds great. Dude, I'm telling you, Craig Gass left me an eight-minute-long message. About Slumdog Millionaire? Yes. He would. He's like, dude, I don't want to tell you what it's all about and everything, because I don't want to ruin it for you, but it's great. Oh, man. It's great. We'll see about that. Number six, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. There it is. Has that even come out yet? No. No, it's Time Magazine. Oh, boy, you're so smart. We get to see it. Oh, you're so... Yeah, that and Speed Eraser. Number five is Milk. What? Oh, is that that Harvey Milk, Sean Penn? Yes. Dude, have you seen previews? Have you seen the previews? Yes.
I almost thought it was a comedy. I'm like, that's not right. Harvey Milk was killed, and there's Sean Penn going, hey! Number four is four months, three weeks, and two days. It's a story about... If you have to tell us what it's about, it's not one of the best of 2008. In Romania, illegal abortions. Oh, please, you know what? Punch yourself. Okay, number three is My Winnipeg. What the hell are you talking about? It's a black and white. It's a black, so they know we have color now. It's a higher actor to play a family. It's supposed to be really creepy and weird. Number two is, I'm going to mess this up, Schenectady. Is that right? How do you say that? New York? That's a city in New York. Yeah, okay, then that's how you say it. Philip Seymour Hoffman. Anybody? Michelle Williams? I got ripped in Entertainment Weekly, too. And finally, Time Magazine's number one movie of 2008. Dark Knight. Wall-E. Wow. Enjoy. Wow. Enjoy Time Magazine. That's weird. That is so stupid. That's weird. Even 70-year-old dudes are like, that's a dumb list. Worst list ever. Yeah, seriously. 570-1053 is our phone number. Awful. You can call us at the beginning and end of every show. What day is this? What day is this? Wednesday. Hump day. Happy hump day.
She just started blurting out hump day in a strange way. It's creepy. Tomorrow on the show, tough love with Eddie. Oh, all-American lunch. Well, you have a Taliban dinner. I probably will. What was the all-American lunch? I had a sandwich, chips, a Coke classic, and that made it an all-American lunch. And Rob got this big cheesy, mocking look on his face and started making fun of it. What's an American sandwich? What was it? What was it? You don't even know. You tell me. Doritos, a Rice Krispie Treat, and a Coca-Cola Classic. That is your face. That's an all-American lunch right there. That's stellar lunch right there. He's been making fun of it for an hour and a half. I'm sorry you can't afford it. 570-1053. Mikey Show.
Hey, I was just wondering, have you guys heard about that Sharon Osbourne thing in her new show? What is that? What are you talking about? Did she really, like, hit one of the contestants? That's what they're saying. Yeah, that's, the police are investigating. I don't know if it's true or not. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Scott. Scott, don't cut them off. Well, the police are investigating. Sharon Osbourne is a suspect, but until the police, you know, investigation is complete, right now it's... She should host a contender. All allegations. Okay. All right, then. Thank you. P1 Fritz. Hey, how you doing? Good, man. Hey, you know, I'm really, you know, kind of bummed out for Eddie. They lost the challenge this morning. Talk about it. I won two out of three. Talk about it. I had a question for him to redeem himself, you know, if he really takes his demand. So, Eddie, what's the actual dimension of a two-by-four? Yes. The answer is yes. Yes. Sky, what's the actual dimension of a two by four? Two feet by four feet. No, it's not. Eight and a half by three and a half. Good luck, guys. Thank you. What is that? And we all lose. Well, it's false advertising. Yeah. That's right. I'm going to sue. P1 Matt. P1 Matt. Hey. What's up? Not much. All righty. Well, thank you for calling.
P1 Devin. I don't know what he would have said anything. That was fair. I would have done the same thing. Hurry up. P1 Devin. Hurry the heck up. Yeah, I have a question for the Oracle. All right, I'm a pretty sore loser when it comes to football, so I didn't know if I'm getting up and turning on the tube to watch the Chargers game and then the Denver game this weekend. What the hell? Of course you are, man. Come on, dude. This is it, dude. Rally up. Don't be fair weather now. We got to pull through. It's a must win. Got to beat Tampa Bay and then hope that Buffalo beats Denver. Yeah! All I know is I already had to buy a new iron and ironing board from one of the games this year, so I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to need to purchase anything else. First of all, your wife should be doing that. Second of all. Hey, man, I think the Chargers are going to come out really fired up. I think they win that game. I really do. I think they beat Tampa Bay in Tampa Bay. I mean, they have to. Do you think the Bills are going to take over on Bronco? That I don't know. That one is real iffy. I mean, the Bills have not been playing good.
We've got to really hope that they pull one out for us. What happened, man? The Bills were real good at the beginning of the season. Part of it is their quarterback, Trent Edwards, got hurt. I think the injuries just kind of killed that team. Hey, man, did I mention by the way? Nobody's talking to you. P1. I don't know who this is, actually. Who is this? I just wanted to clear my name. Who is this? Just wanted to clear my name. Go ahead. Say I'm sorry. I love the Red Sox. Okay. Marcus Giles. Marcus Giles. I didn't recognize your voice, Marcus. There it is. Brian Giles. Brian Giles. I'm in trouble, but. Yes. What's up? Oh, wow. This must be my wife making a call. Honey, I'm on the phone. Oh. I don't know. That happens every other day. Mikey Show. Last call. Bring us home. Good morning, PHI to the LOI in the hizzy. What's up, Philly's Finest? Uh, just greetings and salutations from your friendly neighborhood hit it monitor. Oh. She didn't hit it. She didn't hit it? Wow. Guess who didn't do something? This is shocking. Are you kidding me? Can you do something? Get him on the phone. Absolutely. Fine him or suspend him. Yeah, I'm going to start fineing him. I'm going to start fineing him. One game check every time he doesn't hit it. That is brutal.
Thank you, Philly's Finest. We didn't even notice it. It's getting to the point. Well, I mean, what are we going to do? Sit there and be like... You know, he's so lackadaisical. Mikey, I have... P1 Kung Fu and I started a new organization to fight such atrocities. It's the PATH organization that stands for P1s Advocating for Traditional Hit It. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You can look us up on P1Site.com and get all the pertinent information that you need. I'm glad. And we're actually looking to put a link on BostonRob.edu so you can get back. I'm accepting that. $350, no problem. Sean. That's for half the length. We'll write you a check. Sean. I want to take cash. Hi. Would you like to explain what this is all about? What's that? What do you think? That we're never going to see you again in person? Oh, you are done, buddy. Tell him, Mike. You are done. Is that what you think? Hold your ground. That we're never going to be in the same room again? Tell him. I will throw fecal matter at you. I will suck your thumb, buddy. Again? Sean. It's not funny. It's not funny. Sean, hit it this instant. Hit what? No, you're not.
Okay, it's on. Guess what? You're done. It's on. You are done. That's all. That's all, Sean. Thank you for the call. You're done. Have a great one. See you when you get here, buddy. Can we work this out somehow? Goodbye. Thank you, Philly's Finest. You're very welcome. Love you, Matt. Missy is up next, ladies and gentlemen. We'll see you tomorrow morning today on the show Missy has for you on the Nooner. A little all-request lunch, and we'll be back tomorrow.
